"Pleased"
My stay was enjoyable and a wonderful time staff was friendly and well versed in customer service you will enjoy yourself. Michelle was a great manager. There were no gang or drug activities in motel.
"Stay away from this property!!!"
I believe there was mold in the refrigerator. Someone had turned off the fridge with the door closed and when I opened the door it had a strong smell of mold. There was no hot water in the sink and there were hairs all over the bathtub.
"Nice location"
Nice little hotel right off the freeway. Great value for $$. The room had a fridge, microwave & coffee maker. The beds were so high I had very comfortable. Shower/tub had a little spot near the drain but they are in the process of renovations
"Hotel needs to be updated"
The hotel needs to be updated and cleaned, our room had bugs in the bathroom sink and my wife found a bug on the bed. When we reported the bugs to the hotel staff we were told that they were water bug that come up from the drains. My wife asked for new bed linens and made the bed up herself. The television didn't work and it took 30 minutes to figure out that someone must have messed with the settings of the television.

"Poor Service"
Booked 2 rooms, 1 room was not clean and beds were not made. The other room took a bit to get the TV to work. Hotel staff had us put in a new room, the bathroom door did not fully shut and the TV did not work in the new room, contacted hotel staff to fix the TV problem and never seen them, they never got to the room. Also was looking forward to breakfast but all of the eggs had cheese on them.

"A nice hotel"
So you're very awesome and it is a nice hotel for the price I do wish breakfast had more choices. The pool is nice staff is friendly rooms usually clean but usually a lot of things are broke or don't work correctly like dresser drawer staying shed some screws missing from light fixtures so on and so forth

"Only thing positive was the location"
I was very disappointed for this being a Best Western. We were checked into one room only to find that no housekeeping had been done, they checked us into another room which had a broken fire alarm, One bath towel and no washcloths. Overall hotel was a disaster.

"Swamp sleeping motel room"
Air conditioner didn't remove the humidity so our room was like sleeping in a swamp. Everything was damp to touch. Sheets , towels and carpet were all damp like they had been listed with water. I needed to do some business on the lobby computer but worker had no idea how to get the internet to work. We were told our room would be cleaned ever other day and towels would be changed out. This didn't happen.

"Worst ever!!!"
The room was totally inadequate. The door safety latch lock was missing, the bathroom was terrible, internet was not available, stay away from this location. "Hot food" was cold. If you like to hear train whistles all night, then this place is for you.
"Bad customer service, no hot water"
Booked online, arrived and said they didn't have hot water but would by morning. My sister booked online and didn't fill it out right, so there were more people for the room than listed. I had already given my card info when they changed the rate for extra people. I agreed with the price, then got a new higher price on the paper when I got my receipt. She said it was a computer issue and to call in the morning. The breakfast was under stocked and dried out, no one at the desk to discuss the lack of hot water with. Wasted $150, may as well have slept in my vehicle.
"Best Western not at its Best"
There are (2) adjacent competitors you may feel better at than this location. This BW was obviously purchased and converted into a BW but no renovated. The place, the rooms need a serious overhaul. I felt like I was at a Motel 6. Stained bath tube, dingy towels, suspect microwave....etc I felt like I was slumming it!
"No hot water"
Arrived at 10pm to no hot water. Called earlier and should have been told. Attendants lied about timing of broken heater (conflicting stories). No compensation for inconvenience. Disappointing first and last experience at BW.
"Decent Inexpensive Motel"
It's a little bit older, but the beds were very comfortable and the free breakfast superb. There is a $100 security deposit when you check in. The charge is gone now, but when I called the ask about it 3 days after my visit the front clerk was no help and said she needed to know what room number I stayed in. Needless to say, I did not remember the number. Besides that, I'd say it's a decent middle of the road motel. Some Best Westerns are OK, some are terrible. This one is OK if you are passing through Danville, IL.

Horrendous experience. My wife and I got to the to you the room only had one yowell had to go to the desk and ask for more looked like the lady working was on the computer. The pool and hot tub esd closed. Out phone in the to fof not work N
"Worst BW"
This is by far the worst Best Western I have ever experienced. Traveling with a pet and was charged a $45 pet fee to be given a room with holes in the carpet and many mechanical and other issues. Stains on sheets and towels, clogged sink, running toliet, etc. Poor quality hotel. Will not stay here again and do not recommend until renovations occur.
"Worst Best Western ever"
Door would not stay shut unless bolted. Room was filthy and smell bad. Appearance of what was likely to be semen stains on the floor. Loud people outside yelling for quite a while. Pool was green and closed. No one at the front desk when I wanted to cancel the reservTion foe the next night.
"Down but not out"
We were broke down on the side of the highway and had to be towed to the nearest hotel until help could arrive. What was normally a $65 room cost us $198 because we were there before normal check in! Explain how that makes sense. Two days would be $130. Once in room it smelled and we encountered a roach, they did move us to another room but it wasn't much better. The bathroom door was off the hinges, the commode seat was only connected on one side and would move when used, the fridge didn't work and of all things the tv was very small and the actual show didn't even fill the screen. With all this said the front desk was rude and very unprofessional

in town for a tournament they are doing some upgrades staff was friendly room are large and clean this place was very quite during night only train pass by its make some time noise otherwise its fine with us

We stayed here multiple times the staff always welcoming us with smile .we checked inn late so they give us late checkout option we like that .a little older update but very presentable bed were nice and comfy .

Rooms were in decent condition friendly staff only problem was not a single restaurant on this exit but staff help us out to find nearby restaurants gave us directions need little more update but staff told us there are working on it
"Don't stay here."
Not a hotel—- it's a motel. Had to walk to breakfast in the rain. Shower head and shower curtain we're about to fall down, no tub stopper, had to go to the office to get towels and had to stand up to eat our take out food, since there was only one chair. Full size blanket on a queen size bed. Very close to train tracks that blew their whistle throughout the night.

i highly recommended this place it was first time in years traveling with dog very leery about finding a pet friendly place. person at front desk recommended ground floor for easy in and out for dog walk hope we see you again

"Poor maintenance"
Room 217 didn't have a security chain, the bath tub didn't have any stopper so I could not take a bath, the door didn't have a spring loaded hinge so when it opened it would hit a wall that was jutting out (it looked like it had hit that wall many many times and patching it with duck tape would have been better than the repair that was previously done (also many times)), the curtains looked like they were purchased at two different stores (one step up from a sheet being used), and this isn't their fault, but like in the movie My Cousin Vinny, the train whistle would blow at various times in the night and early morning. But hey, the desk clerk was very friendly when I checked in.
"would not reccommend this motel"
I bought and paid for a handicapp room with king bed but when got there they hjad sold my room and had to take what ever I could get. The tolit seat was broken could not take a bath and air conditioning not working right
"Bad choice."
Don't stay here. The room and lobby had a terrible odor to the point that I chose not to eat in the AM. There were things smeared on the walls. The shower curtain was dirty on the outside with mildew on inside. There was broken glass in the parking lot. The check in staff at 7PM was unprofessional and one was wearing Pajama pants. They gave no information about the room or hotel. Overall the place needs to be updated.

The front desk staff really helpfull to find restaurants near by clean beds and good breakfast. It was overall decent stay service was wonderfull .I was there for work had good sleep no complaints at all .

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for business. The friendly staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable .The breakfast was nothing too exciting, but this is a hotel not a restaurant. Honestly I would appreciated what they served including the fresh fruit.

"Disappointed"
This was our second stay there, my last review was much higher. I'm not sure what happened but this stay was not good. Check in was at 1 we got there at 1:45 and was told we needed to come back the room wasn't ready after 45 minutes of sitting in the parking lot, finally got our first room. The door wouldn't open without a lot of hassle. After getting in the room was dark, tissue holder was falling out of the wall, the bathroom door blocked the desk and no ashtrays. When I tried to get out of the room again the door wouldn't open. Spoke with the manager he come to the room and agreed to switch us. The other room was much better other then still no ashtrays, not sure if the smoke alarm worked, no toilet paper and the toilet was stopped up. And I ran out of hot water taking a shower. Not sure I will stay here again.

"Filthy, Smelly, place"
This is NOT the quality or cleanliness I have come to know and expect from Best Western. The franchise owner, Krishna Patel, should be ashamed and embarrassed by the filthy carpets, the smelly rooms and the pool water the color of split pea soup. Checked in Checked out within 20 minutes. Hannah at front desk was very understanding and ready to refund our money...too many have complained and refused to stay in this garbage dump.

"Family visit"
Rented two rooms and one smelled,both had soft reclining chairs that needed thrown out.both walls were scratched up from the chairs hitting the walls. Carpet needed replaced and one sink was cracked. My wife took a shower before me and all I had was Luke warm water. Can't believe the rooms were one hundred dollars per room

"Bad Choice"
The bed had blood stained sheets and a roach crawled across my chest while in bed. This is one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever been in. We checked out quickly after the roach came in. I will never stay in this hotel ever again.

"Horrible"
I absolutely love best Western I always choose best Western wherever I go I will even drive out of my way just to get a best western. This is my third time staying at this best Western the first time we stayed they demanded $100 cash deposit I have never in my life had to give a deposit at a best Western when I asked for a receipt for the deposit I was told no and I was insured that it was all on camera so it was OK. The second time I stayed at the best Western I arrived to find my room has been rented to someone else and I was told they must've reserved it first but if that was true then it shouldn't have been available online they did put us in a different room and made it right. Third time and probably the last time that I will stay here we arrived the room smelled like old wet dog the lights in the bathroom area and sink area didn't work had to wait for someone to come fix them. Wasn't offered express check out as a gold member due to the fact of having to give $100 deposit. They tried to charge me $50 for a towel because when I dried my hair it got a little bit of hair dye on it when I refuse to pay the $50 they charged me $20 for a towel and still no receipt to show what I paid
"Poor service"
I was in town for a funeral and management would only allow a hr or 2 before check in for early check in otherwise would charge. My car slid in parking lot and went over curb had to get unstuck next day due to lack of salting and parking lot was icy. Got car unstuck next day and asked if I could receive a late check out and was told check out at 11 I must check out or i would be charged additional fees. To know my car was stuck due to the lack of salting parking lot and not allowing me to get a shower after I had gotten my car unstuck was one thing I've never had a place say no I'll be charged. Poor management and on there end.
"Poor upkeep of rooms"
Water didn't stay hot very long in the jacuzzi and bath(used different times), room was non smoking but found ashes on the floor and a fake nail, smoke detector was hanging off the ceiling by one wire, jacuzzi could use a curtain or something around it since it was pretty well in front of the window, heating could be better in the bathroom because even with heat on high it still didn't heat up the bathroom, rooms could be a lot cleaner for price paid.

"nice stay"
due to no fault of their own we were unable to use the pool or hot tub (covid) but we stayed in the jacuzzi room and it worked very good. the room was clean and the staff was all very polite nice and helpful. i liked the patio area even though we did not use it. It was a nice addition. AND having a smoking room was the biggest plus

"Bright, clean, efficient"

"Unsafe Hotel - Beware"
I would not recommend this hotel. We were in two different rooms and neither of the doors would lock securely. You could be on the outside and push hard and the doors would open. The latch on the inside was nearly broken off as well. We tried a couple more doors and they were the same. Please for your safety choose a different hotel. This was reported to the front desk and was confirmed that all you need to do is press hard on the doors and they will open. Beware. We have stayed in many hotels and I would say this was definitely at the bottom. The microwave was in a different language as well. I don't know what language but not Spanish or English

"Nice older motel."
I stay here 2 times a week. It is a nice clean motel. The pool, hot tub. and breakfast are all closed. There is nothing to eat at this exit. No restaurants within several miles. The price isn't bad either.

"Very friendly staff"
Hotel staff was very friendly, pool and breakfast closed down to Covid-19, not hotels fault at all. One day I did eat breakfast, biscuits and gravy were very bland, definitely have had better at other hotels. Clean rooms, clean lobby, minor things broken in room, but nothing extreme. Faucet had slight leak on counter, and bathroom door had a few stripped screws made door rub on frame. Once again, overall, nice hotel.
"OK place"
This place is a little dated from the looks of things and there are improvements that can be made. The toilet was loose from the floor and moved if you sat on it. The shower control was difficult to switch between the faucet and shower head. There was a considerable amount of ice where the roof drains into the parking area due to being below 15 degrees outside and luckily I saw it and walked around it because the lot was well-lit there. I do not believe I will be coming through here again anytime soon, so doubt I will be able to return. There are likely newer hotel properties that are better maintained, although the price to stay here was quite reasonable.

"Great overall"
Good location, very nice looking from the road, great price, nice front desk attendant, clean room, comfortable bed, great selection of channels, multiple HBO channels, clean inside and out. Good local friendly taxi
"Watch the rates!"
While searching the web rated were advertised at 64-74.99 when booking online it jumped to 88.10 with tax, when arriving the man charged my card 92.65 crazy how the rates jumped $30! There is set of tracks that run close to the facility, heard the train three times run thru. The sink was broke, breakfast was closed down before 9am on New Year's Day. WiFi was horrible! And there were only maybe five other people staying at the hotel. Beds are very uncomfortable.
"Always a great experience"
We stay at this Best Western often to visit family. The hotel is always clean and well maintained. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast food selection is outstanding and the area exceptionally clean.
"Decent hotel and would stay again"
I stayed at the Best Western in Danville,Illinois two times within three weeks recently. This hotel is better than you would think for a budget hotel. I stayed in a king room. The bed is comfy and the rooms are not tiny nor huge. The only issues I have had are with the bathtub. Since I was travel with a two-year-old and wanted to give her a bath, each time the tub had problems. The first, the water would go in the tub with the shower spraying water at the same time. The second time the plug for the tub didn't work. I solved that by putting a styrofoam cup over the drain and the suction of the drain held it in place. But, when the toddler pulled the cup off the drain it frightened her to see and hear the water go down. One other issue with the bathroom, the door doesn't stay open, it closes right behind you so I had to prop to door open with my suitcase. The free breakfast was decent and typical of hotel free breakfasts. One tip is to ask for a room facing the front of the hotel because there are trains nearby but you will still hear them but not as loud.

"the owners don't give a damn"
the furniture is outdated . the breakfast was a joke. the owners(foreigners) didn't car when you told them about the problems. A handicap room was reserved and confirmed but was not available upon arrival. Thank god I carry handicap items to assist my wife when we travel.this has got to be one of the worst BW that we have stayed in and whats so bad this use to be a great place to stay but te current owners don't care.
"Good Hospitality"
It's a good place to stay.Staff were friendly and caring.I have experience warm welcome from staff. Also room was nice and clean. Exterior of the property looked good and maintained clean all the time. Overall great hospitality and great staff.

"Nice older motel."
The motel is clean. It is apparent that it is older. There is nothing to eat at this exit. Nearest place to eat is several miles away. The first floor is outside entrance. Upstairs is inside entrance.

"Dishonest manager"
The hotel was ok. Manager is very shady. He will charge your card additional money after you have left the hotel. I checked in at 3am with my dog (which I told the clerk about) and the clerk gave me a discount because it was so late. I was going to go elsewhere becuase the price was too high since I was only going to be there a few hours. She said she would cut the price if I would stay after asking about my dog. I agreed to stay at the lower rate. Next morning manager said I wasnt charged enough. I told him that was the price the night clerk agreed to and knew about my dog. After I left he ran my card again and refuses to remove the charges. If you stay there keep an eye on your card charges. Manager Gary Patel is a very Dishonest man!! He is all about over charging after checkout instead of customer service like Best Western is known for. He aso never returned my calls. I had to keep calling to catch him at work. Even then he said he would call me back but never did but left the additional charge on my account. Don't stay there unless you like being charged more that you agree to.
"Very clean and friendly"
Stayed here for 2 nights. Our room and the whole hotel was extremely clean. The night staff when we checked in were very friendly and helped us find a pizza place to deliver. They have a nice little pool and hot tub area. And loved having a recliner in the room! We would definitely stay here again.

"Surprisingly pleased!"
After reading the previous reviews we were leery to stay at this hotel. But upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised, the property was very neat the lobby was neat and clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was beautiful. The bed was firm everything was very very nice. We would definitely choose this hotel if passing through Danville again!

"Very comfortable"
Relatively clean, except the windows. The bed was super comfortable with loads of pillows. It was WONDERFUL to have a recliner in the room. We could raise our feet after a long day of driving. It's right off the exit. They have a nice, sized desk with a high back chair. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. And you couldn't beat the price for the nice layout of the king bed room.

"Mediocre Amenities"
Pool and hot tub not in good working order. Breakfast not much variety or available early enough. Hotel had a odor to it in the hall ways but was ok in the room. Bed was too firm for me and there was no blanket on it considering this was October.
"Nice hotel"
Although usually a dedicated Wyndham's client we found this hotel to be a nice property. No issues with the property or the area. Close to the interstate without being in downtown Danville. We only were there one night and did not have an opportunity to use the amenities or eat the breakfast. Breakfast closed at 9 am and we have been on the road for a week and a half. The only suggestions I have. The door was difficult to open and needed to be adjusted. I had to physically lift the door to use the deadlock. Also if breakfast could have a little longer window that would be nice.

Stay here only if you enjoy smelly rooms, with musty linen and fabric, failed circuit breakers, squeaking hinges, non-existent local restaurants, and surly, arrogant and rude management. This is the epitome of what a good Best Western facility should never be.

"A warm and economical place to stay."
The Best Western Regency is one of the more economical choices of the Best Western Brand. That being said, the management and staff have gone out of their way to make this an enjoyable stay. From the warm friendly greeting, the quick efficient check-in, the warm breakfast and fast check-out, we enjoyed our brief stay. The breakfast, though simple was kept stocked and warm. The internet in this motel was one of the fastest I have had the pleasure to use. It would be a pleasure to stop here again if passing this way.

"Danville IL stay"
This,hotel is located in a cluster of moderately priced hotels. While older than some, it is well-maintaine. The rooms are nice sizes, WI FI and cable tv are provided, rooms are clean. Hot and cold breakfast is provided. Hot breakfast items are freshly made. Check in is quick and efficient. Staff are friendly, helpful and very competent. I like that they remember me from previous stays.

Every time I have been here my rooms are always top notch clean and smell fresh as well. The manager was very helpful in getting this room booked and later to instruct us how to use the jacuzzi. "Bad then ok"
We tried this hotel to compare it to Hampton Inn & Suites where we normally stay. The first room we were assigned was not good. Way too small for the furniture inside. It opened to the outside. The bathroom door would barely open due to furniture in the way. The coat race pulled out of the wall as soon as it was touched. We almost got back in the car and moved to another hotel. I reported this to the front desk and they gave us an inside room which was much better - larger - seemed like better furniture - quieter. We didn't stick around for breakfast but it seemed like there was not nearly enough room for a dozen people to sit and eat. We will not go to another BW as this one clearly could not compete. Even though the front desk tried to fix the initial poor quality, it still isn't equal to the competition, if nothing else, breakfast alone is enough to knock it out of the running. More work is needed for BW.
"Clean Hotel"
I stay here often for business. Every time I have been here my rooms are always top notch clean and smell fresh as well...even when the only room left was a smoking room. The staff are outstanding and always helpful. They also pick us up at our company for our stay and are always prompt. I definitely recommend this Best Western hotel. Great breakfast too.

"A good place to stay for a weekend"
A group of the family had come down to Champaign for the University of Illinois graduation weekend. Well, we waited a bit too long to make our hotel reservations, so most of us ended up at the hotels at Exit 220 along I-74. Realistically, this was only about a 40 minute drive to the U of I campus, and it was an easy drive. This hotel offered free wi-fi, a pool and a business center which one of us needed. The rooms were comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. Since the only restaurant in the immediate area had recently closed, we appreciated the fact that a simple breakfast was offered. The rooms were clean and there were sufficient amenities for our group. The regular prices are reasonable, though they were a bit higher for this huge graduation weekend at the University of Illinois.

Here for an anniversary stay. No kids. Very enjoyable room with jacuzzis and very comfortable bed. Easy to find off major highway. Close but not to close to town. Good selection of breakfast items, not just cold cereal and juice.

"Night Mare!"
No Stars ! How dare you ? Charge me $30 for 2 missing brown throw pillows that werent on there when we got there ! You called me in the middle of my Easter brunch my husband tried to tell you that they werent there when we got there and that when we were leaving and he was checking room that one was in the drawer by microwave. Hell before he got that out of his mouth my Capital one popped up that you charged us $30. CROOKS ! I called Bestwestern custome service and told them about this , the rotting pool chairs , the smoke alarm hanging out of ceiling .. I'm a property manager you idiot's and he is 20 years retired Navy..never stole your damn pillow and ain't paying for it either .. you dont deserve to have Bestw Western Brand !

"Very quiet place!"
This hotel has warm pool and hot tub. It is getting gently refurbished. Our room was large, had very nice lighting including ceiling dome and comfortable recliner! Bed was good. Bathroom was very nice. It had a taller toilet. The shower head was GREAT! Could stand upright under the shower-no contortions! Management made breakfast for early travelers as well as later risers. Very quiet facility.

We stayed in this motel because even though it is modern and 2-story, they have one row of rooms with outdoor, drive-up entrances which we need because of my veteran husband's disabilities. "Gary runs a nice place"
I was bringing 15 families to Danille for a weekend wrestling tournament, after spending several hours calling hotels Gary was more than willing to accomodate us. The rooms were clean newly renovated, pool was nice and it was very easily accessible. If the tournament stays in Danville next year we will be back this Best Western .

"Great stop on a long trip."

"Okayish"
I stayed here last week when in the area for work. The gentlemen working the check in counter was very nice. He explained the Wi-Fi, breakfast, even suggested a local restaurant. He also noted my Gold status and offered me express check out. The room is where this goes downhill a bit...all though not dreadful. I found the room to be clean but a bit outdated. You could see where they were doing their best to keep it maintained without doing a remodel. But a full re-model is what is truly needed. I had a room on the second floor and the rooms on that floor all have doors that inward face the interior upstairs hall. The first floor rooms all have exterior doors that lead directly to the parking lot. I've never been a big fan of that Motel style set-up. The sheets and pillows seemed dated, a bit yellowed, and in need of pressing...but the bed itself was comfortable. The heating unit in the room worked well and kept the room warm without being too loud. The bathroom was clean...but again dated. The room had a mini-fridge and microwave. I didn't use those but that is always a plus. The best thing about the stay was the Wi-Fi...it was quite fast. All in all okay. But there is a nearly brand new Hampton Inn and Suites directly behind this hotel which looked much more enticing (and not terribly more expensive...definitely where I am staying for future business trips). This hotel could help itself tremendously with a complete renovation.

"clean and Quiet"
Clean, Quiet and Restful. We chose this hotel just on a whim. We were going to be in the area. The hotel front was inviting when we arrived. The staff were friendly. Our room was clean and decorated nicely. My husband loved the recliner in the room! The pool was was small but clean and enjoyable. Our room was quiet and we slept well. "Don't do it. "
Not satisfactory any longer. Rude staff - very rude senior staff. Basic room with uncomfortable bed and a trickle shower. Breakfast worthless. Rooms marginal. Only nice thing is the small pool. But whirlpool tub wasn't working right at all. Other better options at this expressway exit or into Savoy.

Staff very, very friendly and helpful. Easy booking and check-in/check-out. Breakfast had ALOT of variety, more than I've usually seen in a hotel. Facility very clean. Room stocked with everything, including things we forgot we would need. Price ideal. Definitely recommend. We stayed here on our weekend hiking trip to Turkey Run State Park. It is good location from the park.

"Great stay"
I had made reservations online at a different hotel which was impossible to stay at. After cancelling I stopped at the Woodbury Perkins and they recommended Best Western Regency. I thought I could never beat my AARP pre-reservation price and thought this was $20 higher it was worth every penny. Location is great. My room had a refrigeration/microwave which helped with some dietary requirements-and a 24 hour Cub Food is on the other side of the Hwy 694. These are hugh benefits. But mostly the staff was friendly, professional, and the room was clean comfortable and very well maintained. I had breakfast every day while staying there and it was excellent a real meal-great selection of break food. I will be staying there and I highly recommend this hotel for health care professional like me and AARP members. (there is a guest laundry, clean excerise room and spa whirl pool)

"Not so great"
I stayed here for a night while on business. I read the reviews and thought I would give this place a try. It is not the worst place I've ever seen but it is not the greatest either. The room itself is very gloomy. It was hard to feel comfortable and relax. The large mirror that is in the room that you can see from the bed was extremely dirty, there were finger prints all over it. Then when I went to call down to the desk because the TV remote quit working I noticed the big chunks of food on the night stand. Which makes me wonder how clean everything else gets. The smell in the room was not very pleasant. I'm glad I was only there for a night.

During my stay here for the the 25th NJCAA tournament in Danville, the front desk, breakfast crew and house keepers were all amazing! Very clean and updated establishment. Check in was smooth and very hospitable. Every morning the breakfast was delicious; from yogurts and muffins; juices and coffee to waffles, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy. When I would go down to breakfast, housekeeping would ask me if I would like them to clean while I ate! So thoughtful and kind! The pool and hot tub was a nice amenity as well! I would highly recommend this location and would definitely stay here again!! Thanks again for “the home away from home” atmosphere!

"Relaxing weekend get away"
I have stayed at this hotel twice now and have gotten the Jacuzzi suite both times. The room is very clean including the jets in the tub. The management is very friendly and even remembered me from my 1st stay. On our 1st stay we had forgotten something in the room and they even mailed it to us, we paid postage of course, but they were very accommodating The only complaint I have is not about the hotel but that there is very little as far as food options close by and no one delivers to the hotel. Will definitely stay again when I am back in the area.

"Gordyville Winter National Tractor Pull"
On Friday when we arrived I asked if there was any place close to eat and was told across the street was a decent restaurant. However she neglected to tell me that the restaurant closed at 8 pm. So we wasted half an hour getting to the restaurant to find it closed. The breakfast was good on Sunday. Hot tub was real nice after the long ride out there.

I stay in the Danville area about every 6-8 weeks. During that time, I have found the Best Western Regency to be a great value for the money spent. The property is well kept, clean, and inviting. "Best hotel experience I've had in a long time"

"Good hotel BUT"
Stayed overnight very clean Hotel a couple things wrong the computer chair was loose need to be tightened and the towels were like sandpaper other than that the rooms were clean staff was very professional. I'm leaving they accuse me of stealing to towels and a face cloth. Charge me $25 for the honor of these great 10 and sandpaper that I wouldn't use on my car that clean it. As far as I'm concerned the couch me because I stayed on my points if you stay there make sure you get a staff member to look down your room before you leave because they'll charge you for towels that you did not steal or one of their staff members stole and and reported it as you and make you pay for their towels very dishonest business

"Best Western Regency Hotel, Danville IL"
From the moment we checked-in we were impressed with the service and cleanliness of this hotel. The staff was extremely attentive and the lobby and room were very tastefully decorated, modern and immaculately clean. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning and the attendant was available to answer any questions. He was very affable and made us feel very welcome. A+ experience and we plan to stay at this hotel in the future when we are in the area and at Best Western as our first choice in the future.

"Excellent service and quality"
This is one of the best motels I've stayed in. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and had a very good attitude. The internet was very fast and range was excellent but the network coverage was poor for my cellphone inside the building. Food was very excellent too

"Five Stars For Industry"
A very neat, tidy, and meticulous hotel. It is utterly clean. Our room with a king-size bed was huge and bright! The recliner in the room was enjoyed. The general accoutrements, however, were not upscale. The common areas like the reception cum breakfast room were dull. The hotel needs color and cheer. The greetings on arrival were warm and goodbyes were sincere. The staff works hard in maintaining the property. For this, I give them 5 stars for a 3 star property.

"Decent value"
Nice staff and clean rooms. Good for an overnight stay. Smaller than average breakfast area but still quality. Only downfall was 1st floor rooms have to walk around outside of building to get to pool or lobby/breakfast area. Not a big deal but people who request first floor should be aware. Internet connection did not work when standing right outside room on 1st floor and was weak in the room. Again, if short term stay, very good value.

"Noisiest Location in Danville"
This review is more on the location than the hotel. So if you plan on staying in any of the 4 or 5 in this location, beware. There is a CSX train hub a stone's throw away from this hotel, along with the other 4 or 5 surrounding hotels. If you are not a very heavy sleeper, you will be awoken many times in the night by excessive train horns that blast 4 - 6 times every 45 minutes or so all through the over-night hours. I recommend you stay elsewhere if possible.

"Good night sleep"
It is amazing the differences within the best western chain. Some hotels are in the upper tier in my reviews and then there are the ones like the Regency Inn. The room was OK and the beds comfortable but it just seems a bit dated. All in all I had a good night sleep(and that's what I was there for). The breakfast was a bit sparse (no eggs when I got there) but I found enough to eat.

"Cold hot tub"
Hot tub was set at 83 degrees according to staff member. Was not willing to turn it up so we could enjoy our stay for our son's birthday. Our main purpose for the stay was for the pool and hot tub. It felt like pool water cold.

Rome was great almost seem like new breakfast was really good and the lobby was very clean I didn't swim because the pool was cloudy. but the hot tub was nice the staff seemed very accommodating. I would go again for sure hopefully they fix the pool.

"No inside hallway on first floor"
There was no inside hallway for the first floor. Had to ho outside to get to the lobby, pool and breakfast. There is no cover over the sidewalk so you are in the elements. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean

"Stay away"
When we attempted to check in, we had 2 reservations within a block of 25 rooms for the weekend, we were told that one of our reservations had been cancelled 2 days prior. We did not cancel and when asked who cancelled it, the staff did not know. In fact they said it was not their problem. When the woman at front desk was asked to get the manager, she stormed out of the area, slammed the door and we could hear her asking for the manager to come. When the manager, Gary looked into the issue, he again said nothing they can do since someone cancelled. Seems to me that the policy to cancel should require a confirmation number. Anyway, he said that he could get us in a king room Friday night but no guarantee that a room would be available Saturday night. Well, we had just driven 10 hours and were tired as 2 of the guests with us were in their 70's. So, we accepted the offer. When we got into the rooms, they were non-smoking.....yeah right! They were disgusting, smoke smell and musty. I mentioned this to Gary, he said that they were non-smoking and no one has ever smoked in them. As we settled into the room, we noticed the sink would not drain then discovered the remote for tv didn't work. At this point why even complain as there would be no resolution. On Saturday morning, Gary called me to inform of a room that suddenly was available for that night, it is not a double queen as we had reserved but it was a room as we did not have one. We accepted and moved to the room on the second floor. This room was better, less smoke smell but still musty. The ice machine on the second floor was out of order. Coffee pot did not work in room. Could not wait to leave.

"Excellent Service Given"
Stayed at the Best Western Danville Illinois Regency tonight. It is a basic Best Western not recently renovated. It is a lot of little things that can add up here, such as missing door hinges. It looks like they are planning to do a big renovation soon. But they did upgrade us from the price of two queens to a king suite for a total of $85 including tax. That's a pretty good value. The second-floor room was a little musty and smelled like it had smoke from the past but it was not very strong. Keep the fan on low for circulation and it's fine. May need to change out of bedding and pillows. King bed and was in separate room. Tight fit for all the furnishings but still worked. I like the mounted wall lamps on either side of the bed. I hear the train horn at 12:44 am. The towels were a little scratchy from being old where the nap is gone but the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was better. My youngest son liked the little disk sausage patties and the cinnamon rolls. I liked the way the pre-made eggs were in the shape of the small egg making them easy to eat. The hash browns were good. The biscuits and gravy were also good. Less choices than some other places but they did well with the selections they had. One very positive thing. They made special accommodation to let me park my long trainer right next to the covered office canopy. The lady at the front desk was superb all around and should be given a bonus for all of her help to us.

Good hotel for the price. Clean hotel with nicely appointed guest room. The recliner is a nice touch. The only negatives are there are no restaurants near the hotel and it's not close to anything in Danville.

We stayed here one night on June 23rd. We booked in advance and was very pleased with our stay. James at the front desk was very friendly and helpful getting us all checked in. Our king room was non smoking, and while not overly large, it was extremely clean. We had everything we needed except not a pot to go with our coffee machine. No worries, I got my coffee the next morning when we went down for free hot breakfast. They had all the usual cold fare, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, juice, etc, plus hot buffet which was sausage patties, egg patties, and hashbrowns. The only thing I might have changed was the buffet food could have been hotter. My husband likes using the waffle machine and making his own waffle. All in all, we had a great experience. Ninety per cent of places to eat you have to go back into Danville to. This motel, while convienient to the interstate, is not convienient to eating establishments. James from the front desk went so far as to get me a fork out of the cupboard after hours, for food I had in my room not from the motel. We will book here again when we are passing thru on I-74.

"Lower end"
The hotel looked very dated. When we went upstairs, the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke, the smell permeated the entrance area of the room. The pool was murky,we were afraid to go in. The breakfast eggs tasted reconstituted. No real butter.

"Really nice rooms"
These are bigger than average rooms. Our came with a very cushy rocker/recliner that was really comfy. We also had a fridge and microwave which came in handy. The beds were very comfortable and pillows were nice. The shower was the best I've ever had in a hotel. It was higher than most and also was like a rain shower which was nice. I'd would definitely stay here again.

"Great place to stay."
The staff was kind and helpful. We had no problems checking in. The room nice and clean. The decor has been updated and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. We had no issues during our stay. Will definitely be staying again.
"Comfortable room, reasonable price"
Easy to find location with a comfortable room at a reasonable price. Not much of a tourist area but not a bad neighborhood. The breakfast was hot and maintained throughout the morning. Note some rooms were upstairs without an elevator.
"one of the worst"
The lady at the front desk was so nice to us, but i have to write an honest review. Upon arrival on a very late Friday night, one would want to just fall into bed and rest. Luckily, before i did, i inspected the bed sheet. It had a HUGE YELLOW stain! immediately notified the lady at the front desk and the bed sheet was replaced. Still cannot imagine myself sleeping in it. Pretty disgusting. I feel sorry for the old lady from the front desk who repeatedly apologized. I slept will all my clothes on that night. I also lost sleep from the train noise. i didn't realize the railroad tracks were so close to this hotel. I had two nights paid at this hotel, but decided not to use the second night. i got a room elsewhere clean and quiet. I'd rather lose that money than lose my sleep. i cant get that yellow stain off my mind. i cannot tolerate something like that.
"Crackhouses Seem More Attractive"
First of all I got bed bugs from staying here. The place has an odor about it. Not all electrical outlets worked. My room's deadbolt lock was broken. The stairwell access lock was broken, allowing anyone access into and out of the building through the stairwell. The ice machine was broken. Only one person working at night when checking in; can take a while to check in if the person is on break or doing something else. The TV image quality was terrible; it looks like a pirated cable feed. The sausage for breakfast was delicious though... I did not want to find out where they got the meat.
"It was a very clean hotel."
I really liked the hot tub that was in room 115 and I would recommend this to my family and friends. Everybody was very courteous to me. The staff was kind to me and my boyfriend. I enjoyed the hot breakfast and the free WIFi.
"Terrible Experience"
We, my husband, granddaughters and I, stayed here the last week of July. Staff was not friendly but no unfriendly, they were just there. The breakfast bar was sparse, which is fine because it it not intended to be a five-star restaurant. The security bar on our door was hanging on by a thread and the dead-bolt lock was broken. The beds were like sleeping on boards. Room service showed up the first morning at 7:30 while my husband was in the shower and they proceeded to push open the door so hard that the security bar broke more, they came back at 8:30 when we left for the day. The next day we put the "do not disturb" sign on the door during shower time and removed it before we left for the day, before 9:00, the room didn't get cleaned. The same thing happened the next day. I carried to the office: three bags of trash and dirty towels for four people. I brought back: trash bags, towels, coffee, toilet paper, and cups. No one offered to carry it for me, however, they told me I left the sign on my door both days, all day. I told them I know for a fact that it was removed before 9:00 each day, they said the maid said we didn't and there was no reason for her to lie. I guess I do have a reason to lie. The only reason we booked here is because the BW in Hot Springs, Ar., The Winner's Circle, is fabulous and we figured this place would be. There are several hotels in the same area, book at one of those instead, save yourself some grief.
"Nice Rooms"
Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pillows weren't those lumpy blobs, but supportive and decent. The staff was friendly and courteous. When we checked in the front desk staff really talked up their breakfast. He said we didn't want and they got great reviews about it. Unfortunately I didn't get that same breakfast experience. There were a few limp greasy sausage patties, what appeared to be scrambled egg bits, and an empty hash brown container with grease. There some prepackaged pastries (tasted as if frozen then thawed), boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, Saran wrapped cold biscuits, cheese slices, and packets of oatmeal. Had I not been sold on a "rave reviews" breakfast I would have been okay with this minimal spread. Despite this bump, the rooms are nice and clean, the price is good, and I'd stay here again.
"Going to the Races!"
Our room was clean, roomy and had some updates. Our room was on the lower level with a parking lot entrance which dates this hotel. You have to walk around the building to get to the lobby. Hotel breakfasts always leave me mostly dissapointed.
"WOW!"
This best western surprised us. Clean, updated, and especially the free breakfast! The breakfast had a wide variety, from eggs and sausage (that were actually good treating) to gluten free! The breakfast area was clean and packed with fresh food! Kudos to the lady who was in charge of breakfast service! I believe her name is Pepper (fitting name!). She was very nice, very personable, superb customer service! If we're in the area again, we'll be back!
"Too tired"
After 8 hours on the road with a 3 and 7 year old, I was exhausted and wanted to sleep. The kids went to the pool with o=my step-daughter while I was trying to find something to eat, which is a challenge when one know nothing about where you are. The ice machines were out of order and ice was handed out (a couple of cups at a time) at the front desk. Overall it was OK, but petty things were annoying.
"Nice, Clean, Smelled Good,Comfortable."
We like to use the Best Western because they have a really nice breakfast and are usually very clean and friendly. This one meets the standards for Best Western. WE will definitely come back here. It is not close to the highway, so not much noise, there is a train track somewhere, but we were not bothered.
"Staying with people who care"
I dropped my checkbook, with some cash, in the room, as we were leaving, but didn't realize my loss for several hours. Six hours later, after the initial panic, I called the hotel and was told that the items had been found by the housekeeping crew and they would be secured in the hotel office until we could return. Four days later, on our return trip, I reclaimed the lost items, totally intact. When we returned home, there was a telephone message from the hotel manager, telling us that the items had been found. That call was within 2 hours of our initial departure.
"Great stay"
It was an excellent stay here and great rooms as well. Breakfast was good as well. If you're looking for a great price for great room then this is the spot!! Also the manager Mally was an excellent front desk lady. We were welcomed well and no problems whatsoever. It was an excellent stay, thank you!

"Hotel was ok"
The room was clean and bed was comfortable. But room was somewhat run down. Also location was not the greatest as the train tracks were close and trains seem to be going by quite a few times during the night. Breakfast was good. staff was helpful.

"Best beds and showers in town!!"
We always stay at this hotel on our way to Maryland, as it sits right on the time change line so when we start our next day it is in the new time zone. The MAIN reason we stay is due to the great sleeping beds, super water pressure in showers and the amazingly friendly staff here. The hotel is older but just remodeled so it's better. And it's prices of great value.
"Horrible Hotel"
This hotel is nasty and needs a whole upgrade. We will never stay there again. The mattress felt like it was 100 years old. The rooms are outside and the door did not shut all the way. I felt unsafe. The room stunk. Terrible experience.

Arriving after a long day of driving, the hotel down the street could not honor my reservation. Michael, at Best Western did everything in his power to help me out! What a wonderful relief! Very kind, accommodating and helpful when u need it most! Thank you!
"Great experience"
Definitely would recommend this hotel to anybody. The room itself was comfortable and felt just like home. The bathrooms were clean, the breakfast was well made. Hot fresh made hash brown and sausage was great.

Very happy to stay at this hotel!. The rates were a good value to stay Rooms were very good. we enjoyed pool/hot tub. Hotel rooms were very clean. Personnel were very friendly. Breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again.
"Overcharged for Little Satisfaction"
Best Western seemed like a good place to stay. The pool and hot tub were very nice. When I asked the room service to come back, they refused to come back. They claimed that we refused room service. Then they hurried us out of our room the next day. The laundry service was closed at odd hours. You never know when they would be available. On top of that, I was charged for bed sheets for no good reason at all. Breakfast also was luke warm at best and had no real options.
"Lovely Room :-)"
It started with great customer service ~ Maly @ check-in and smiling Rachina @ check-out were both helpful. Room #119 was spotless & updated w/flat screen TV, fridge/micro. Triple sheets on super comfortable bed with fat, fluffy pillows. Hot shower with great water pressure. Lots of easily accessible outlets on the base of the desk & night stand lamps for chargers, laptop, etc. Free wifi was a little slow in the evening but happily it was lightening fast next morning. Drive right up to your own door, making it so much easier to load/unload luggage & cooler. Saw an elevator in the entrance for second floor rooms. Didn't partake of continental but it looked appealing. Would definitely stay here again although I did hear the trains mentioned by another reviewer.
"great place to stay"
The staff is friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. The rooms are clean, the best sleep ever with the bed. The internet is high speed at all times no mater how full the hotel is and was able to downstream video on my laptop
"Renovated "
We hadn't stayed in this particular Best Western for a few years. Our room, the guest, and breakfast areas appear to be recently renovated. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff was also friendly. We did not use the pool during our short stay.
"Pool and Hot tub can't see the bottom"
The room was on the ground floor, could hear trains all night long. The window was not locked when I arrived, had to lock the window. The door handle was loose as if it was worn out, asked why I could not get in, told to lift up on the door. Did not sleep well. Was going to relax in the hot tub, you could not see the bottom of the hot tub appeared to have a green tint to it and the pool was the same way. Breakfast was good, had a waffle and sausage. The room smelled musty. Phone went dead. Had to keep it plugged in.
"Horrible, dirty, overpriced."
Overpriced. Room was outdated for price. Could have stayed at Hampton Inn for a little more. Room dirty, furniture old and damaged. Had to park away from room next to dumpster. Did not try breakfast. They need to knock building down and build new.
"“Exactly what I expected"
This hotel is a very good place to stayThis is a great motel. It is easy to get to off the interstate. The beds are particularly good and room are clean goodThe breakfast was goodWe stayed only one night and were very comfortable in a room with one king size bed.
"Bad first impression"
The rooms at this motel are fine and the breakfast was sufficient but the wifi availability is terrible. In addition, I had to stand by the lobby front door or go outside to keep my cell phone calls from breaking up or dropping as did others in our party. Also, the bathroom door automatically closes unless you prop it open which is often annoying. The worst thing was that the front desk staff recycles the little paper card holders for the keys to your room. They have handwritten the room number and the internet password information on them and when you check out they re-use them for the next person who stays in your room. You can image how worn and dirty they are and that's the initial impression you're given when you check in and they hand it to you. As the saying goes, "You never have a second chance to make a first impression."

A little pricey for a Best Western....but, as they say "you get what you pay for" andThe hotel and my room was very clean. The staff was also very friendly and accomodating.so we stayed at BW. A delightful experience we well be bcak.....
"Rates too high"
I stayed over the Labor Day weekend. The rate was 131.00 with a discount. The room was mediocre, nothing special. It had a king bed, fridge, and crickets. Too much money for a room. The pool looked nice.
"Excellent upgrade !!"
New owners have gone above and beyond the hotel changes are excellent and price is perfect for this size of a hotel! Not just a slap of paint on the walls but a well done redo of our room, the lobby and breakfast area. I wish the breakfast area had a little more to offer in real eggs etc but for free what was offered was OK. Happy to come back for sure. The jaquzzi was great in the room, the pool has been redone and is wonderful! Best of all parking in front of the room door!
"Caring staff wanting to help guests"
Clean room, good free breakfast, easy parking, great swim pool and jacuzzi, wake up calls, professional staff. Gave good advice about restaurants and activities. But best was Maggie who works at night and prepares breakfast. I woke up at 3 AM In terrible pain from sore throat. Maggie got me orange juice, salt (that I could use to gargle) and was totally helpful. Brekfast started at 6 AM, but when we left earlier, she let us get coffee. I had a problem with the phone, in the room, and they fixed. The tough part is that the phone service is erratic, and the Internet is not always working. But they will totally try to help you get what you need.
"family...nice and clean"
Great Staff, Great breakfast. Great beds, is awesome. The pool area was my favorite. It is mostly occupied by families with small children during the day.. nice and clean i well be back to next ye...I am totally coming back here with more people!

Exceptional staff friendly and knowledgeable! Room was very clean breakfast and common area atmosphere was extremely pleasant at 7am due mostly to the staffs attitude nothing but smiles from them AND guests would definetly recommend and we will stay here again without question!
