"Nice Hotel. Area sketchy."

Pros: Great complimentary Breakfast. Clean room, sheets, towels, bathroom. Great price. Cons: Area outside of hotel is a little sketchy with random people walking through the parking lot. The night we stayed something happend to somones car and I could hear the front desk talking about it saying "I need to go check on my car". Overall will stay again if the price is right.

Great hotel for the price. Nice spacious room and clean bathroom. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice little bar downstairs where you can eat & drink and watch some games on two screens. Mcdonalds, starbucks and subway nearby. Also bus station is right across the street. Breakfast could have had more choices, but I liked my stay here and will come back in the future for sure.

"Very disappointed "

The front desk staff La'shā was very friendly, helpful and very accommodating,and the breakfast was delicious, but that's were the positive stop. When we arrived on Thursday night it was late. The parking lot was dark and had a few unsavory people just hanging around. We got to the second floor and walked towards our room (201). The odor of marijuana overwhelmed us, someone had also used cardboard to defeat the lock on an exit by our door. We could here foot traffic all night. The next morning the whole hallway still reeked of marijuana, keep in mind we have our 7 year old son with us. We addressed all the issues with the hotel staff, came back the next evening and guess what, same exact issues just now closer to the elevator. The next day we came back in the evening and there were several individuals just lingering around a side exit and cars in the back of the parking lot, it made my family feel very uncomfortable. The trash cans were overflowing and there was trash all over the parking lot. Usually I don't write a negative review, but this was unacceptable.

I would stay here again. The 2 king bed suites are very roomy and comfortable. The breakfast is awesome and they offer a variety to choose from. They have real scrambled eggs and not powdered. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff are wonderful.

"Dissatisfied business traveler"

Pretty much the fist time a BW has let me down. My room choices: too cold with moderate humidity, or comfort and Florida-swamp humid. The surfaces and linens were even damp to the touch. The maintenance guy they sent up was patronizing and would not listen. I gave up after that and left early the next morning after a miserable night. Never again.

This was the first time we have been dissatisfied with a Best Western. Our key stopped working TWICE. We were told if it touches a credit card or your body if you have high iron, they don't work. REALLY? The exterior doors may or may not let you in. This is a serious safety issue. The room smelled terrible. No amount of rubbing alcohol, Febreeze, or air freshener helped. The room had ants and the room was so humid, we were sticky. The staff was nice and the buffet was lovely.

Met my parents, daughter and friend at this hotel since we all live in different areas. We wanted to enjoy an evening together and this hotel has a restaurant and bar/lounge in it. It is cute, a little small (the bar area). The staff was great, the food was good (dinner buffet for $8ish), the drinks were good (the bartender was a sweetheart!)- happy hour special was also good ($5-$6 drinks and $2 beer). Breakfast was good. Had a little issue with the rooms during check in BUT the staff was great during the process and overall we had the best time and we would do it again! Thank you Best Western - I am a rewards member for a reason.

Hotel is always clean and well kept. Staff are always friendly and willing to help. Beds are a little firm but I understand some like firmer beds. Would recommend for big groups and small private get a ways.

My wife and I came to Dallas to work a convention. We drove down from North Dakota. The hotel was great rooms were huge. We stayed in one of the suites. It had so much place. The only complaint I have is that the fitness center was disappointing. There were no free weights. And all the weight machines were broke. I took my preworkout hoping for a good session but ended up just tingling for a few hrs. I let Linda at the front desk know all the stuff was broke. She was great and very apologetic. When we come back for another convention we will prob choose another best western unless they get their fitness center fixed.

For the most part my stay was ok. It was kind of noisy out in the halls, people running around knocking on my door for no reason, marijuana odor in the stairwell. Staff was very friendly and attended to my needs.

Wasn't even staying had car troubles and phone died no charger was looking bad for me but luckily Elizabeth was there super nice let me charge phn she saved the day thanks Elizabeth I would definitely recommend this place imagine what they would do or treat you like if you where staying there should be a optional 10 star

I have absolutely no complaints everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was more than accommodating and helpful. My stay made the business of apartment hunting less stressful knowing I would be returning to a a relaxing environment . I will gladly stay again!

We enjoyed ourselves here. We stayed Mon-Fri. Our room was spacious and clean. We weren't in our room all day everyday but when we came back our room was clean and beds were made and we had fresh towel. The breakfast was great every morning. Had a great time.

Lasha gave great customer service to a big group that got sent last minute from the airport. Fast checkin and a nice room plus free breakfast. Even scheduled cabs for everyone the next day. Would recommend

"Wonderful stay"

Stayed 4 nights at this property while visiting family in July. I had a 2 room suite and it was large and very comfortable. The hotel is quiet as well. The breakfast is fabulous with lots of selections, including REAL scrambled eggs and not those weird powdered/pellet eggs at a lot of hotels. I'd definitely stay here again when visiting Dallas.

I was a coach traveling with 13 athletes on a school trip, and we had to spend the night due to missing a flight connection. La,Sha, the manager, got a long line of people checked in in a timely manner, with no complaints. I told her what time we wanted a wake up call to go to the airport, and she called me early to let me know that traffic was bad, so we may want to leave early. She had already called the taxi company so we did not have to wait. She had a great breakfast, and offered take away bags for all of our kids. After the frustration due to missing the flight, her treatment of us made us feel like someone cared.

This hotel sucks! We arrived at 830 our first room was wide open and smelled like a wet dog. The second room has a chirping fire alarm. We asked for the battery to be changed at 830, 1115 and I lost my patience at midnight. The workers are clowns and literally argued about who knows how to change the batter or not! I asked for the battery so I could change it. They had to get the owner to come. Now they've taken the fire alarm down .... the hotel is over booked and full of people. I am hoping they bring the fire alarm back on working order! We're about to take our freaking business elsewhere at midnight! I am so tired and ready to flip my lid!

Flight was delayed in Dallas, they provided a hotel voucher for Best Western. Great beds and fluffy pillows. The best was the desk associate La'Sha, she was so friendly and made the terrible situation better in as many ways possible. Really enjoyed the great conversation and phenomenal service. A million thank yous!!!

This is another example of how Best Western Plus hotels are a great value for the price charged. Very comfortable rooms, nicely decorated, and quiet. The hotel supplies a great breakfast that is always well stocked and fresh. I would recommend this to both the business traveler and to families.

There was 5 of us. And we arrived on Father's Day. The pool said it would be down till the next day. So we just settled into our room which was spacious. There was two tv, and a mirror on the outside of the bathroom. But The next day the pool was still closed and we were told it would be for the rest of the stay. Which was upsetting since that is why we choose this hotel. But the receptionist Tory was great. She was patient and courteous and gave us a discount because of the pool. She made things a lot more comfortable and nice for us. I would go back again.

We stayed over night and the room was great. It was spacious and very comfortable. Hands down the best service we received was from Mariah in the bar. She was very friendly and always made sure we had a drink!!

The room I stayed in was exceptionally clean. During breakfast there was an employee by the name of Sophie, she gave had great hospitality and kept checking in on us continuously. I was surprised when I learn she also did overnight patrolling as the hotel security. i stayed in this hotel plenty of times and this is the first time any of the staff members have ever showed me any love. i definitely will be coming back.

Room was clean and airy so had a comfortable stay. There was no restaurant on site so had to order food in. At breakfast they had a sign which advertised gluten and dairy free breakfast but when asked they produced a box of cereal but did not have dairy free milk so could not have any breakfast.

The lobby was so beautiful. Changing water walls were so inviting. Building is very large, make sure you know where your room is though, or else once your off the elevator you will get lost. its a clean hotel.

Mariah best bartender hands down!! Friendly, accommodating, great service...a TOTAL DOLL! The bad was very clean and the atmosphere was very inviting. Mariah was funny and kept our attention. Great conversation and good CHEAP drinks go a long way!

La'Sha is super at front desk - very helpful and knowledgeable - rooms were great breakfast was nice - only one choice for dinner with lots of signs saying one serving only don't like fish so had to order pizza - La-Sha had many options to have dinner delivered

"Overnight stay for a family funeral"

This hotel met our needs perfectly. It's location and price were what attracted me from the Trip Advisor site. The breakfast is amazing, offering homemade salsa for real scrambled eggs and freshly cooked flour tortillas. Everything is served on restaurant plates with silverware instead of plastic-ware. The only downside to the breakfast is that it is eat-in only. Make sure you know your room number, because you will be asked for it in order to get access to the breakfast area. The beds were comfortable and the black-out drapes actually did their job. The super energy efficient window units were a challenge, even with the typed instructions that were added to each unit. No matter what you do, they will not just run the fan unless the heat or air is running at the same time. If you are wanting air movement and/or some white noise to sleep by, you should bring a fan with you. The staff were efficient and friendly. They have a dinner buffet that looks good and is quite a deal. There is also an on-site bar. I loved the decor in the public areas as well. Be prepared to walk through several corridors for a few minutes to reach the oddly placed elevator, which is narrow and will barely fit the luggage carts, but is super quiet and clean and bright. Overall, this place is a great choice for this part of the DFW metroplex.

We enjoyed our stay here, friendly and helpful staff especially Mariah in the Safari Bar and Lounge. Very nice facilty, well located and the rooms had great air conditioning. We were here for a diving event at SMU.

This hotel has been recently renovated and has clean cool rooms, great breakfast and evening dinner, and really good prices for a hotel bar plus the bartenders (Mariah) are very sociable. The location allows for a sneaky back entrance to the hotel from the frontage road. If I have to work close by, I stay here.

The room was good. The employees and management were very friendly. Excellent customer service. Bfast was free. The gym's elliptical trainer, exercise bike and treadmill need some maintenance. All in all, not bad for $49 per night.

"Not a "valued" guest"

I have been staying here since april 15th. I am expected to stay until may 21. After all the time in our room on the 6th floor, i am now being forced to change rooms because "corporate" pre-reserved my room. I think it is absolutely HORRIBLE customer service on the part of this hotel. They are telling me that "corporate employees" are more important than i am! After an entire month, i have to move rooms. I am very settled and have two weeks to go! I do NOT think it is fair , and is very TERRIBLE business!

Check with hotel if they have a large gathering or event during your stay. The hotel hosted a wedding, so the hotel closed the bar and restaurant for the event. Not open for the rest of customers. Never will stay again. Had to park my car a block away, due to no parking on the hotel parking lot. Was told by front desk to move my car after 12 midnight after the event was over. HELLO I'M ASLEEP.

Had to stay a few evenings for work. I have stayed at a few Best Westerns in the area but have come here several times now. After working all day, I'd head to the bar (which is clean :-) ) for a beer or two and wrap up my days work. Mariah at the bar is always friendly and in high spirits!

Overall very negative experience. Pros: Rooms were decent and price was good. Cons: Everything else. My friends and I booked a suite for two nights. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were told they didn't have a room for us even though we had a reservation number. Even though we arrived at the hotel around midnight after a long drive, we had actually called the hotel earlier letting them know we'd check in late. The front desk associate was very rude and likes to us multiple times about what was happening. She told us even though we had a reservation, we still had to call ahead of time to get a reservation?!? And that the rooms are first come first serve. She eventually "found" a room for us and gave us key cards. When we entered the room, we discovered it was ALREADY OCCUPIED! We had to go back downstairs to inform her. She "found" another room for us and thankfully that one was empty. I spoke to the night manager who wasn't even there and she agreed to comp some of the room if we didn't leave a negative room. She said we would get the credit at checkout. Of course when we checked and asked for the credit, no one knew what was going on. All in all - a huge mess. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 1. We found the employees were not friendly. 2. Our keycard was deactivated after 1 day even though we were staying two nights; 3. Desk help was not knowledgeable about the area except for Lasha; 4. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen; 5. Room too small for a king-sized bed; a queen would have been a better fit; 6. Charged $25 for no good reason which we were told would be refunded when we checked out. I have heard of this with a debit card but we were using a credit card; 7. Only stop on this trip (seven days) that did not have free coffee available outside breakfast hours.

Mariah helped us order our food at the Safari Lounge. It's a bar within the Best Western Plus here in Dallas by 8501 Lennon B. Johnson. She did a great job because she was helpful despite she was busy & despite I didn't tip. Friendly place. Friendly staff.

Meeting family close to SMU and Preston Hollow area. Good parking for our Class B RV that we were relocating across country and had multiple drivers for 2800 mile trip. Good location next to freeway and frontage roads. However, weak coffee for breakfast. It is close to McDonalds and CVS.

The staff was wonderful and helpful, the room was great and clean! I also enjoyed the hot breakfast and if you are around for the lunch buffet, make sure you try it, it was delicious and Francisco will make sure you are well fed before you have to go back to work..

Me and my mother would like to give thanks to the fantastic, helpful, and welcoming staff of the Best Western Plus Dallas Hotel, Danica was very helpful and showed great customer service from the time i spoke with her on the phone, to get me and my mother check-in and situated. "Disappointing property but clerk and breakfast were both great"

After traveling a long time, it's disappointing to arrive at a property with people hanging outside smoking in the dark. Felt unsafe and wasn't sure if my car was safe. The clerk, however, was very helpful. His name is Preston. I appreciate his service. The lobby décor was nice, but it was also too dark, so didn't feel welcoming. The rooms are done in all brown and have inadequate lighting. Needs update. The rooms overlook a storage area and a busy freeway. Very noisy. Bathroom is so small you can barely turn around (hard to get out of tub without stepping on toilet.) Bathroom tile so old it appeared dirty, as did the walls in the shower. The water pressure was poor, maybe because of the high floor. My key card went on the blink every two days so I had to go back to the desk several times to get it re-keyed. (They never offered to bring me one, but I did get the maid to let me in once.) I didn't try the dinner as it was never timed well for me. The breakfast, however, was excellent. Many choices and the biscuits, eggs, and salsa were all very good. I can't recommend this property, but with a few updates and some security, it could be an option.

After a long day of driving we didn't to get back in the car the lounge had a dinner for 7.99. Plus great well drinks Mariah was there making sure everyone had what they needed. She checked on us often. She has a great smile and was really friendly.

"Terrible "

Terrible. First of all, the check-in took us probably about 15 minutes. They have one working debit card machine that they have to share between two monitors. They do everything old school by writing it down. It's a very old building so everything is really run down. The elevators are super tiny and as soon as you step on them you are overtaken by the horrible burning type smell. The entire hotel smells terrible like some kind of burning tar. I don't know what the rest of the floors are like but there is no air on the 6th floor. It's stifling hot. I finally get to my room and the key card does not work. I have to go back downstairs, with my hands full of stuff, and when I get down there there is now six people in line trying to check in. So, I have to stand there in the busy, hot lobby waiting my turn just to get a new key card. As for the room it's self, it's ok but definitely nothing special. It looks like a child painted the walls and ceilings. And there is a greasy handprint on the headboard that won't wipe of even with Clorox wipes. The desk, nightstand and tables i'm on speaker be placed on painted they look terrible. The bathroom is definitely only big enough for one person. There is no counter space to put anything on either and there's no type of exhaust fan in the bathroom so it is also stuffy and hot. I've been trying to connect to the Wi-Fi for about 15 min but have been unable to. Even after calling down to the front desk and verifying the password. This place is terrible. When my husband came up to the room his key card did not work either. And while my husband was taking a shower the pipes started screaming very loudly for a good solid 4-5 mind. Literally sounded like some little kid screaming it was so loud.

We get to the hotel after driving from out of town to find that the room I booked was no longer avail. Along with a group of other people who also magically had no rooms. The woman behind the counter seemed clueless and stressed and really did not have an answer to why we had no rooms. She then asked us to sit and wait for her to call her mgner. We sat for over 2 hours before finally just walking up to the counter and asking what the hold up was. I then asked if she had a single bed room avail so we could just go to bed. SHE NEVER ONCE OFFERED US THAT.... But they had many single beds avail so we finally got our room. They promised to get with the boss and at least comp us for trouble and nothing was ever done. The full price was charged no sorry or anything. Overall the whole weekend was ruined and stressful just because someone did not pay attention to reservations nor did they seem to care that their lobby was full of disappointed customers.

We stay in Best Westerns all the time. In fact, we were upgraded to a double king suite because we are such frequent BW customers. On this trip we have stayed at 10 BWs between Colorado and Florida since early February. We are heading home now through Texas. I have rated all previous Best Westerns that we have stayed at 4 or 5 stars and I have come to expect quality. So what's the problem you ask? The lighting was terrible. The bedroom with 2 King beds had one lamp between the beds and put out about 40 watts through an off white shade that muted the light. The living room had 3 lamps same shades and wattage. Not one lamp was bright enough to to read by once the sun went down. Last redecoration/painting, etc has to be at least 15 years ago. The brown, beige, mauve color palate, low ceilings and lack of light give you the feeling you are in a cave without your head lamp. Carpets are dingy and worn (photo 4) to the point of being threadbare in spots. They did not appear to have been vacuumed prior to our occupancy nor did the hallway. Walls are dinged, spattered with various liquids and missing paint, (see photos2&3). I can live with old decorations but not poor upkeep or inattentive housekeeping. (Photo 1 bathtub/walll corner) Another unmet expectation: no USA Today newspaper. Have never been to a BW that didn't have one! Lesson learned: not all BWs are created equal.

"Disappointed"

I booked this Best Western located north of Dallas aiming it was a 4 star, but I was deeply disappointed for my choice. Just at arrival, I had a discussion at the front desk when I realized the price to be allocated at my credit card was much higher than informed at booking. Soon after I also realized the services and cleaning were far from a 4 star, more suitable for a bad smell and dark room at a road hotel. Breakfast was such an unexpected disaster, too. The location is not bad if you plan to stay north of downtown Dallas, but I later realized that there's a lot of lodging choices nearby for the same price. I highly reccomend not to stay at this place.

I was exhausted and from the time I walked in to the time I got to my room I owe this excellent stay to Preston who was working at the front counter. He was over accommadating and helped me out greatly more so than any other stay I have had anywhere. He saw I was hungry and tired and literally told me not to worry and handled everything for me. I am extremely grateful for that because I had to wake up early the next morning and get to work on a very short turnaround. I owe my wonderful stay to Preston and I am sure there are other guests who could vouch for my story about how completely wonderful to walk in the front door and meet someone like Preston who will take every opportunity to ownership and make sure your stay is wonderful.

Our three night stay at the Best Western Plus Dallas Hotel & conference center was fabulous. The staff was friendly And the beds were so comfy!! The hotel has some age but it was a grandma's-house, feel-at-home, comfortable, always-welcome kind of age. Breakfast was a huge spread and everything was delicious. The rate was great (Groupon $62/night) but it was the reviews that sold me. I would recommend them to anyone.

"Worst Hotel Experience Ever"

Started off on the wrong foot by the employee he king us in was rude about us needing a pack and play for my daughter. The hotel smelled of gas and the elevators reeked. Around 1 am the fire alarms started going off and went on and off the next 2 hours. The elevators had flooded so were out of operation and the employees could have cared less than my handicapped mother had to walk up and down 6 flights of stairs. I was never given a refund like I asked for and the deposit still has not been returned to my account. I will never stay at a Best Western again and left the hotel more tired than I arrived.

I reserved room with groupon but groupon dropped the ball. However, Khandi Banks, at the front desk,was very helpful in assisting with my stay. She was committed in keeping my business at the hotel instead of me looking elsewhere. She was very helpful and understanding. Two thumbs up!!

On arriving I was not warmly greeted. I was given a “voucher” for my breakfast which if you lose is another $5. My room was charged an extra $25 that would be returned to my credit card in a week if they find the room undamaged. I found the room already damaged so I had to catalog the damages to save the $25 they might charge me. I should be able to relax after a 4hr drive not deal with already existing issues with my room. The drain was plugged in the shower so I was ankle deep in whatever is in said shower. The towels were rough and scratchy. The A/C could not be used because it made the room smell of mildew. The tray areas were your drinking utensils are had dead bugs on them. The bed cover had brown smudges in various spots that made me think the bedspread wasn't washed. The bed was even too hard to get a decent sleep! I thought all inns and hotels had gotten rid of the ancient spring beds! I have never had an experience this bad at a Best Western. Next time I'll pay the extra $30 to get a Fairfield suites room.

Got to the hotel and my reservation couldn't be found by Wade, the gentleman with the glasses and dark hair. The other guy wasn't much help either. When the reservation finally was found, the room was not ready. This was around 3:30, 4:00 IN THE AFTERNOON!! I was in formed that the Housekeeping staff was short that day and the supervisor was not there. I asked to speak to the hotel manager, NO ONE WAS AVAILABLE!!! Unacceptable!!! If the managers don't care enough to show up to work, why should I even bother. Highly not recommending this hotel.

when i booked the rooms i was told i would have 2 queens but they are full size beds in the room and rooms are extremely small in the pictures and online they look bigger...;.no counter space in bathroom.....and the ironing board looked dirty i put a towel for breakfast its great to know they use fresh eggs and the only reason i know that is because i had a decent size egg shell in my eggs....orange juice was watered down watered down and it wasnt empty either so it must be a setting within the juice machine.... upon check on i waited at the desk for 5 minutes....nobody was there i turn to look outside and i see both of the desk clerks outside smoking they saw me and didnt come back inside to take care of the check out another guest came to the front and i told her nobody is here they are outside smoking....i went outside and as soon as i came out the took my key.....my thought was wow!!! i cant believe they pick their smoking while working before giving great customer service...

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was clean and we found the breakfast buffet was better than most as the eggs were made from fresh cracked eggs. The other items were the normal for Best Western hotels. On the negative we did not like the coffee and we found the decor of our room, though fairly recently done, was very dark and not to our taste. All in all, it was a good stay for us and we definitely would go back .

Requested call from manager to discuss problems with room. Did not hear from manager. Refrigerator was finally replaced on day two. Room was not supplied with soap, shampoo, etc at check in which was about 7:00 PM. Housekeeping failed to clean room on day 3.

Best service ever. The food is amazing. The only thing I can say is everybody doesn't eat pork it's very bad for you and high in toxicity. Turkey sausage and bacon is just as delicious not to costly and way more healthier. The ladies at the front ont desk just puts the icing on the cake. They are just adorable

Room and all linens smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Bathroom not fully cleaned. Used condoms and drug paraphernalia littered the grounds. Staff was nice and breakfast was good. Good value at $70 a night. Would not have wanted to pay much more.

Have stayed at this hotel twice before and do and try to stay hear when ever am in town. The pool is out door the room is clean pleanty of hot water, and the reason I like it the most, the free breakfast, cooked eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, it is a good amount of choices.

We enjoy their full breakfast bar. Their rooms are small but have updated amenities, refrig, microwave, and bathrooms. The beds are comfortable but our pllows were flat and too soft for us. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We came to this hotel for a quick 3 day getaway and it was simply an incredible experience! The hotel staff was so kind and helpful, the rooms were complete remodeled and beautiful, and the free continental breakfast was AMAZING!!! This place is definitely going to see my business again when I'm back in town!

My family of four stayed here for a quick trip to a Dallas light show exhibit. I'm glad it was a quick trip. The hotel is old, worn, and dirty. I definitely would NOT stay here again, ever. Our first room had a terrible smell of dirt and smoke right upon entrance. I asked staff immediately if we could be moved, which they did without hesitation. Our second room didn't stink, but was overall just worn and dirty. I brought a pair of sandals that I typically wear to breakfast, but chose to wear them in the shower instead at this hotel. Dirt, stains, fluids of some sort seemed to cover all surfaces of every part of this hotel room, from the walls to furniture, to bedding. We didn't arrive to the hotel until late and this led to us actually staying due to time. Otherwise, I would've prob just lost my money and went somewhere else. I've never stated at a Best Western Plus before, and after this experience, I will never stay at one again. Terrible, terrible let down.

"1 AM AND MUSIC IS BLASTING. RUN THE OTHER WAY"

Unless you plan on dancing in your room all night, sweating ....run. Dont walk. Head far, far away. I am laying in the bed, with an AC not working....listening to music louder than I listen to in my car...AT 1 AM!!!! And guess what??? My husband and I are here with our kids, ages 7 and 1. Seriously. This is hell. When we arrived this afternoon, we checked into 2 rooms. Us and my parents (in their 70s). We were given a room on the 2nd floor....My parents on the 3rd. And then we realized the elevators had signs that They were out of order. When I explained to the front desk my father has a heart condition, they apologized for the inconvenience. That was It. I had to flat out say...he can't climb to the 3rd floor. So they found an available 1st floor room. Found out a few hours later....one of the elevators was working the whole time. It is now 1:15am. Music downstairs still blaring. I'm still sweating. Now....the fun part. After returning to our room about 10pm, we learned this is apparently party central. Seriously. The music is blaring. I can hear every damn word. IT'S 1 AM!!!!!! I called at 11 and asked what time would the music and. I was told "12ish" . yeah. My butt. And our AC isn't working. And did I add, our room is at the and of a hall, directly next to the door leading to the staircase that apparently goes down to the bar/party room/whatever the flip is going on downstairs???? So every 2 to 3 minutes, you hear the door slam open, loud laughter and talking, then the door slam shut. Seriously. Hell. Music still blasting. I'm still sweating. The room is clean, the beds comfy. Supposedly a great breakfast in the AM, but I won't care. Because I will be face down, asleep at the table. Why??? BECAUSE IT IS 1:21 AND THE FLIPPING MUSIC IS STILL BLASTING THROUGH MY ROOM, COMPLETE WITH "WHOOS" AFTER EACH SONG AS I SWEAT.

"Short trip, comfortable hotel"

This was a three day flying visit, but I had a lovely quiet corner room, the room was clean, tidy, fresh and had a great bed and shower. The buffet style breakfast was good, I only visited once, staying in Texas, I'm usually still full from the night before! Good pool area and every bar, restaurant or take out in the immediate area you could wish for!

My husband and I periodically take a "mini vacation" from our lives and stay at this Best Western for a day. They are always accommodating and helpful...especially Dawn, who is professional but very personable. She has gone out of her way to help us get the room we want and we appreciate her and her effort. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and spacious. And the breakfast they serve is fresh and delicious!

The suite was spacious enough for 6 and clean. Breakfast was great. Check in was speedy. The only minor things were tv remote not working properly, beds were very firm and paper rolls in the bathroom were left behind. It was awesome and very modern. Didnt realize that sink stopper was a push in and out for use and here i thought sink was clogged. Overall, pleasant staff and stay. Very close to walmart, mc donalds, freeway etc.

Loved it, I had no issues with my stay. The room was cozy, the hotel was clean and well designed. The free breakfast was amazing and the staff was on top of everything helping everyone. Everything in the room was nice and clean. Wish the beds were softer and the bathroom to be a but bigger, but other than that I enjoyed my stay. Wish it had a better location too.

This is a very comfortable, convenient, and clean hotel in northern Dallas that is a very good deal. Breakfast is terrific, and rooms are spacious and clean. The fitness center could use some updating, but overall, a terrific option for travelers to Dallas

Me and parents recently stayed at this hotel for my last treatment for 6night. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They all made my last week of my treatment fun and enjoyable. Rachel that work at the front desk, she is so kind and friendly not only to me and my family but to everyone else at the hotel even though sometimes I see her working by herself like when she got few people in front of her and she's also answering the phone at same time, she always manage to get everything taking care of by herself with no question ask. That's what I love about her, she is a hard working employee. I would like to say thank you to u for everything you done to us Rachel and to everyone else you all made our stay feels at home. Keep up the good work *.* I recommend this hotel to everyone, the stuff are all nice and friendly, affordable, comfy beds, I love their breakfast too many selection you can pick and of course its free, parking is free also. They got small snack shop if ur get hungry in middle of the night. And shuttle within 5mile radius of the hotel..

"Good budget friendly hotel "

Stayed here recently for 4 nights. Booked a suite and given one on the 6th floor overlooking a bar/restaurant (Maasai Grill) who on Saturday play loud music until 2am, security came up to check the noise from our room and went over to the bar to ask them to turn it down, it made no difference so we were moved to a normal sized room overlooking the pool which was quiet. Front desk and security were really helpful about this. Bed was comfy, good choice of tv channels and the free breakfast was great. Nice pool but sadly it was a bit too cold to swim. Lots of free parking and fast WiFi. Good location within easy driving distance of everything in Dallas. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

"Good for quick overnights; great breakfast"

We stayed here for just a quick overnight - sleep, eat, leave in the morning. The room was okay. Quite small and with a bit of an odd smell. Room amenities were good with a mini fridge and coffee maker (Keurig). The beds weren't terrible comfortable but did the trick and you get what you pay for. Breakfast in the morning was great! The kids loved the 1 minute pancake maker that spit out a pancake in 60 seconds with the push of a button. They had tea, coffee, milk, oatmeal, bacon, cinnamon buns, and more. One big con is the fact that there is very little sound proofing from room to room (both above/below and on the same floor). There was a lot of noise outside due to a busy restaurant/bar out front. I would recommend this hotel for quick overnight stays but don't forget the free breakfast!

Hotel stayed had it plus and minus. Hotel has been remodeled last few year. Hotel and room we're clean. But it had a smell or odor in room Thought hotel. Bed wasn't as comfortable as other hotels Brand. Breakfast in the morning was five stars. Great selection of hot and cold breakfast items.

"Sewer smell"

This hotel, was clean but when you flush toilet there was sewer smell. Also although they try to cover with spray you can tell customers had smoked in the room previously. The pillows are not at all comfortable. Bed was okay.

Good place to stay in Dallas. Located in a good localized location. It has a relaxing lounge area. a refreshing outdoor pool to enjoy during the Dallas heat. The suites are spacious with a living room area with generous size televisions.

"Nice hotel in a central location in Dallas."

Hotel is right next to major highways, particularly I-635. Clean rooms and friendly staff and free breakfast with all the fixings. Staff was great but particularly these team members: Juan, Guadalupe, Lorenzo and LaSha. THANKS!! You guys made me and my wife feel right at home!

"Great, Relaxing Time"

The room was clean had no problems with air, the staff cleaned the room by request the next day just as i asked, fresh towels were replaced too. The staff was very friendly. I visited the lounge/bar and the server was awesome very friendly the drinks were made perfect and the price was affordable. The breakfast was good and filling i purchased a discount rate off Groupon and was very satisfied with the value i received but even without the discount i would pay regular price to return and stay again, it was a good location within reach of different eating venues etc... the stay made my time more enjoyable in Dallas, TX thank you

"Great Texas experience"

All staff very kind and helpful. Mistakenly booked a room that was too small for my family. Even though it was my mistake staff upgraded my room at no additional charge and helped move my things into the larger room. Breakfast was very good. Had variety of hot foods. Even huevos con chorizo and tortillas on certain days. My family looked forward to the hotel breakfast every day. Great experience all around.

"Horrible"

The room was horrible and had stains on the floor. The bed had a roach and bug when I went to get in at night. Management wouldn't do anything about it. Our room key wasn't working and instead of giving us new keys, they called maintenance to let us in every time. Inconvenient and extremely lazy. Would never stay there again

My husband and I had a wonderful stay for 3 nights.very good location, easy access to highway 635,don't have a car, not to worry, bus stop is right at the door, it will take you to DART station, from there, the light rail takes you everywhere.The room is super clean with very comfy bed, and we were so impressed by the great service at breakfast.We would like to thank the management for providing such a great experience.

"Our repeat hotel in Dallas/Richardson"

Except for the one time that the biker club stayed here, we have always enjoyed our stays here. We have stayed here 4 or 5 times a year for the past three years visiting/moving our college daughter. We enjoy the extra room and TV and the king or queen beds that the suites offer. Comfortable for 4 persons and acceptable for 5. And the time that the biker club was here intimidating the customers by congregating feet outside the front door and revving their engines, the hotel offered to let us out of our stay with no penalty...which we accepted.

Nice property with helpful and friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable and room was very clean. Appeared to have a very nice breakfast setup but did not get a chance to try it out. McDonald's next store and In n Out,Starbucks and Subway across the street.

This hotel is one of the best in this area of Dallas TX. First thing I liked was that it was about 20 mins way from love field airport (without traffic). Secondly, my 3 days conference was held at hotel (convenient); & they know how to keep conference rooms very neat & tidy. I noticed that this place is always busy because people are always using the conference rooms for prayers, party, & other kinds of service. The staffs are kind & are availabe 24 hours. The neighborhood & inside hotel was safe. There laundry room was very useful for my visit: $1.50 for washing & drying; can also buy the All detergent- $1 for a load. Breakfast was good: fried eggs with potatoes, milk, yogurt, grits, sausage, biscuits, fruit juice, bread, cupcake, waffles, cornflakes in buffets settings served with breakable plates. The room I stayed had good amenities: king non smoking bed w/ four pillows, heater/A.C, wardrobe, drawers, iron, plenty of towels, lights & outlets, t.v. with plenty of channels. Also, free shuttle ride within 5 miles from hotel.

"HORRIBLE"

This place is ridiculous!! We arrived around 5:30pm and front desk said there were no clean room that it would be 20 min.We waited it was almost 6pm and still nothing, when asked to speak to the manager the guy at front desk told us there we NO managers... So we left and had to book another hotel. I decided to call back and asked to speak to a manager the same guy that told us there was no manager on duty said he was the manager so technically lied to us! When I confronted him he didnt know what to say, very unprofessional! DO NOT RECCOMEND!!

"Old but remodeled"

Huge Roach in the room which was very poorly lit. It's an ok hotel. Was given a handicapped room which we didn't request so it was very small with no where to put our toiletries as we got ready. Both mine and my husbands backs hurt for several days after sleeping on the mattress. It was pretty clean and it had a big breakfast area.

"Great for the price!"

Our suite was huge. There were 2 comfortable oversized beds in the bedroom & the full sofa bed in the living room was also comfortable. There are 2 40” HD TVs in our room. The bathroom was larger than a standard hotel bath. We always had more towels than we could use. Carpet was clean & the furniture looked fairly new. We stayed on the 4th floor. They do have smoking floors, but we didn't notice any smoke odor on our floor, in the elevator, or lobby & breakfast area. Breakfast is a hot buffet style with eggs, potatoes, sausage links, fluffy biscuits, gravy, various pastries, hot oatmeal with half a dozen add ins, fruit cereal and Texas waffles. It was also very quiet on our floor. They were having an event with a DJ Sat night in one of the conference rooms, but we didn't hear any music where we were.

With all of the nice hotels in the area do yourself a favor and do not stay here. This place smells horrible. The whole hotel smells bad. Hairs embedded in multiple towels. Drains don't drain. Pure nasty.

"hotel smells bad"

The entire hotel smelled musty, but the 3rd floor where we stayed at is apparently a smoking floor, which we were not told of when the reservations desk "upgrated" our room to a suite. We are not smokers, and everything we brought with us came home with a strong cigarette ashtray smell. We had to launder all the clothes we brought when we got home, even the ones that stayed in the suitcase. Ugh. If you have to stay here, please be sure to ask if your room is a smoking room.

I was there for a Christian Conference and found this hotel to be a distance away from the facility but to tell you the truth the few extra miles I had to travel to the church was well worth it. Very professional and knowledgeable staff for check in easy and quick and they gave excellent direction for surrounding things to do, The room was very clean and many towels, coffee, and teas as well a cooler/refrig. "Very Disappointed !"

Booked this hotel based on 4 star rating, and I was very disappointed with our 2 night stay. The rooms themselves were nice and clean. We got our reservations through a 3rd party company and that's why I'm guessing we were given one of the worst rooms in the entire hotel ... the room right off the elevators. Needless to mention we did not rest on both nights due to the in and outs of the people in the elevator at all hours of the night. If booking through 3rd party companies get you the worst placement then don't even have contracts at all. Also there were no parkings available on Saturday night after about 10:00 PM I'm assuming because they don't even ask for a license plate when you check in for accountability. Would not book again!

I am 19 and had already paid for my room in advance and when I got to the hotel they informed me I couldn't be let into my room because I was under 21. Only when I asked for my money back did they do anything to help. An employee left for about 15 minutes to “see what he could do” and came back to say he could let me in but not until after he told me “don't make me regret it.” Overall I felt disrespected by the hotel staff. Not friendly. Not helpful. Not understanding. I was there to run a 5.5 mile race that weekend and was obviously not there to cause trouble. They were aware of why I was staying there but that did not seem to make a difference

Would not stay here, chef is poor, most food was returned by guests. Lounge hrs minimal. Front desk staff appearance poor, not helpful, not always in view. Shuttle driver not friendly, hard to find. Hotel in a poor location, not walking distance to anything, almost must have a car there. My basement has a better fitness center.

The entire staff of the hotel is extremely helpful always attentive to their guess needs. As an airline representative we send 75 passengers to the hotel due to operational irregularity. Every one of the passengers praised the excellent service they received.

"Not happening again "

I attended a conference which was taking place at the hotel. The room wasn't bad, but here were my issues. 1. Night two we decide to take the hotel shuttle to a nearby restaurant and were told that the shuttle stopped running at 6:30 pm, which was the time everyone wanted to go out for dinner. Needless to say, we had to Uber back. 2. Night three we decided to stay in and have dinner at the hotel since we had to fly out the next morning. The joke was on us since the bartender and cook decided not to show up. Since we already knew the shuttle deal we asked to be taken to a nearby restaurant. When the driver showed up he refused to take us because he was supposed to pick other guests up at the mall. We ended up riding with him to the mall and, of course, Ubered back to the hotel.

Cramped quarters and overall substandard facility at LBJ and North Central Expressway in Dallas disappoints. Poor location that is hard to find/access. Small, cramped rooms. Not up to BW Plus standards.

"Great location"

This Best Western had an excellent location off the main interstates. It also had a second entrance off a less congested road when you needed to go into town. The room itself was clean; however, we did find some bugs during our stay (maybe a Texas thing) and our shower head had a leak. When we reported the leak upon check-out the staff did make a note to have it checked out for the next guest! It was nice have included for breakfast free but it was crowded and the options were not to my personal liking.

clean comfortable rooms, average nothing to brag about, staff friendly hotel easy to get in and out without much fuss. Would stay again if in that area. Easy too get on the freeway its close by. You will have to drive to eat , not good for walking.

My family and I were here for the last home game that the Dallas Cowboys had in their Preseason schedule. We were suppose to have a queen suite (seeing as their were 10 of us) but since Hurricane Harvey was lashing out on the Texas coast (Houston area) that caused an influx of hotel patrons and the queen suites were unavailable. The manager did what he could. The breakfast was buffet style and there were different options to choose from. The location was off of the LBJ freeway and close to different amenities. In n Out burger, CVS, McDonald's, an ABC store, donut shop, and many more. Our Cowboys won the game and we enjoyed ourselves.

"Would stay again"

My husband and I had to make a quick trip to Dallas so I did my homework before I reserved my hotel. We decided on this one after reading the reviews and I must ditto the positive comments. It was located near where we needed to be (right on the 635) and there were numerous restaurants nearby. The lobby is very nice and our room was clean and comfortable. The check in clerk (forgot her name!) was super helpful. We found a lower price literally as we were pulling into the drive, and she helped us book our stay at the lower cost. We did use the pool area for about an hour and it was nice a quiet. There was a bar off the lobby but we did not go in. The breakfast room was huge and the selection was great. The attendant, Juan, was on top of things, from greeting everyone to making sure things were picked up promptly. We would stay here again.

I recently spent a night here. It was a nice facility, rooms were clean and spacious, lots of parking. The only thing I didn't like was there were no restaurants near. Lots of hotels, but no eateries.

Kassie the bartender was great but goose IPA was out super sad. I had asked Kassie what is up with the goose IPA, she said it is out due to not enough of the goose IPA and needed to be ordered. Kassie was super attentive to me, coworkers and others in the bar.

Great stay! The bed was the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. I usually cant sleep at a hotel, but I woke up so refreshed. Also, very nice best western. It was a pleasant surprise! Also cool decor, great coffee and breakfast! Overall perfect stay.

"July 2017 Bedbugs"

I stayed at this hotel in July of 2017 for two nights. After the first night, I noticed what I thought was a mosquito bite on my upper arm. By end of day, more bit marks showed up so I was suspicious, but not overly concerned. On night two, I was winding down and in bed with my iPad and a bedbug crawled over the top comforter. I looked closely and it was absolutely a bedbug; I captured it and placed it in a cup in the sink where it stayed for at least 30 minutes while I arranged a new room with the hotel and looked for signs of major infestation to know what I was dealing with. I couldn't find signs of a major infestation, but signs of feces were there. I did not find another bedbug. I switched rooms and after doing a lot of research decided I had to have my bag and clothes taken care of professionally. I did get an indecent report, but the manager has stated that the cup and the bug were never discovered in my room, even though I had left it in the sink. Not sure what happened there...anyway, I was hoping to have the room compensated for and my cleaning costs covered for my clothes/bag--I was offered to be signed up for the best Western Rewards Program which provides 500 points at sign up and they'd throw in a $10 travel card. WHAT?!? I found this completely unsatisfactory and even disrespectful. I then shared the photos with them and they told me that they'd have to get back with me in a few days (now that there's actual proof that it was without a doubt a bedbug). I have photos of the bug, the room, my bites, and even videos to show the little bug was definitely very alive. Since this trip, I've woken up at night really concerned that I've brought these critters home even though I've taken the precautions I found online. It would cost thousands of dollars to fumigate our home, which is also stressing me out.

"A Five Star Best Western"

The front Desk and The staff were so friendly and helpful. This is every bit of a Five Star Hotel and Conference Facility. Very Model and very nice beds. I stay in a suite Queen Room and It was a big as a one bedroom apartment. Very Spacious!! I total enjoyed my stay and will visit again. As a travel agent I will be proud to suggest this stay for my clients.

"Cockroaches in room, bad shower head"

Multiple insects in room, bad shower head (low pressure). However, the breakfast was good and the decor of the hotel was nice. The location was the only thing that kept us there for the weekend. Overall, we will not go back to this hotel in the future.

Simple ,clean and friendly. Coffee and eggs great. Knowledgeable staff just ask and they will help. The beds are firm. The bar is real a nice to relax, not tacky. Kassie was very warm and welcoming. So bravo for the staff. Getting turned around is easy.

"Airport hotel"

We stopped over for one night to cut a long flight time. The hotel do a courtesy bus from airport but it took us ages to get collected. We discovered it served more than one hotel. The driver relies on tips to substitute his wages. The hotel has a pool which was useful as we used it whilst waiting for check in time Rooms clean but old AC system so quite noisy. Hard 8 barbeque a short taxi ride away was well worth trying

"Not so great"

We stayed here because we had a morning flight out of DFW. The hotel is a little run down and needs remodeling. The water in the shower seemed to get really hot every time someone flushed a toilet. They do let you leave your car in their parking lot and they have a free shuttle to the airport, which is nice. There are nicer hotels in the area that cost less and have nicer rooms.

Our hotel was newly renovated, completed renovations at the beginning of last year. While we have a complimentary shuttle that goes within a 5 mile radius of our hotel, we do not shuttle to the airports, DFW or Love Field. We are located on the corner of 635 - Lyndon B Johnson Freeway and Coit Road, which is about 25 minutes away from the airports. "I had mixed Feelings"

I read the reviews before going to this hotel. I was impressed with some and not so impressed by the others. When I got to the hotel, that was still my impression of the property. The front desk was very slow. We were given the excuse that when it is "hot" outside, the computers will be slow. -- Come on is that really the truth? It took 45 minutes to check in three rooms. When the front desk clerk finished with the check in, the rooms still had incorrect names on them. I have never seen anything like it. I knew from this experience that it was going to be a long four nights. Woke up the first morning with housekeeping unlocking the door to the room without knocking. When I said "who is that", she stated "that's ok, I will come back later". She never apologized for coming into an occupied room without knocking first. The tub in the room had stains and the carpet smelled as if it needed cleaning. I also thought the property was smoke free, but the halls would always have a cloud of smoke. The guests seem to be ignoring the non smoking policy. During my four nights there, the room was not cleaned to perfection. Yes the bed was made each day, but the sheets were never changed. The garbage was taken out every other day. The bathroom got clean towels each day, but the sink, tub and commode did not appear to be cleaned and did not smell fresh. The "free breakfast" was accommodating, but nothing special. During our stay the hotel was having some drainage/sewer issues; you could smell the sewage on the first floor of the hotel. It made you not want to eat or drink anything from there. I think if I had it to do over again, I would choose another location.

Oddly enough, since that day, we have not experienced that problem to that extremity since. I will inform my Head of Housekeeping of what you experienced with the housekeeper entering the room, and make sure they are all trained to enter the guest rooms properly. Clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Ate at the garden cafe and Kassi took great care of us. Food and drinks were great. Very enjoyable visit. Great deal. Easy to access off of road. Would stay at this hotel again.

"Good stay"

First let me say that I read many reviews about this hotel and others. The people at the front desk were very accommodating. I had issues with the first room they placed us in and they quickly moved us to a better room. The continental breakfast was good, especially to say it was free! Our beds were comfy and overall our stay was quiet. Look I'm not sure what some people expect when they book these hotels but you get what you pay for. It's a plus when you get more than you pay for. My stay was a deal from Groupon so I paid 300+ for four nights. I didn't expect Hilton service but I didn't expect motel living either. The staff was friendly, the grounds were well kept, the room was clean, and the breakfast was good. The end.

We were in Dallas a mega church event. We found the hotel to be extremely accommodating. We received excellent customer service the week we were there. Rosa & the breakfast staff was always on point. This hotel was close to the train. There were many places to eat nearby. I highly recommend BW Plus Dallas.

Enjoyed my stay at best western, visited the bar during happy hour. I met Kassie an she was very nice an welcoming , helpful and knowledgeable about the area and gave bar great service. If I am back in the area I would come here again.

"Poor security ruined our stay"

My car was vandalized in the parking lot (window broken - $360 in damages). The staff was rude and said they were not responsible. I filed a police report and the officer said this happens a lot here. Sad because the rooms are clean and comfortable.

However, please do not think that we here at the Best Western Plus Dallas Hotel & Conference Center do not care about what happens to you. We take the matter very seriously, fill out the needed report in case the local authorities request it from us, yes we have security, yes we have camera inside and outside the hotel - however, the cameras can not catch every corner, every dark place, every inch of the area. As policy we do offer to contact the police on your behalf - if the offer is declined - there is not much else we can do. Just like any other hotel - there are signs, and on the registration card - it advises to make sure there are no items left on the seats of your vehicle, and that each person is responsible for their vehicles. I stayed here was not pleased with the staff was at the front desk and over heard the front desk staff using foul language went to my room and the bed had hair on it and was not pleased with the cigarette smell first impression is everything

Original plan was to locate a hotel in the general area of my work. My experience here, has now made it clear what hotel I will be staying at while working in the area. Room was very clean, temperature was set and cool when I arrived. Staff was great. Kassie was just so pleasant. Looking forward to my next stay there.

The location and value of this Best Western in Dallas was great. This location offers a suite which was perfect for our family. A free, hearty breakfast is offered which is a great way to start the day. And the hotel has a nice pool to cool down in after a long day of site seeing.

"Exceeded expectations"

Stayed 5 nights for don' graduation events. Was leery of staying at a BW, but it exceeded all expectations. Breakfast was free and fresh. Front desk was very helpful with our multiple requests. A/C was a little temperamental, but it cooled the room very well.

"The Best Best Western"

We reserved a room around 5 hours prior to arriving at the property, so we settled for a room with two double beds. The amount, with AAA discount, was $112.01 (taxes included). Once we arrived at the property, I could certainly see why there would be availability issues with same day reservations. This is one of the best Best Western properties that I have stayed. Upon arrival, we found the property to be nice and that we did not have any safety concerns. Once inside, I was presented a welcome gift for being a Platinum member with Best Western – very nice touch! Check-in was swift and we were headed to our room on the 4th floor in rapid fashion. We were pleasantly surprised by the room. The room is a suite, with a sleeping area on one side, with a living area on the other side. The areas were separated by a wall. The room was clean and well-maintained. There is a microwave, refrigerator, work desk, hair dryer, two flat screen TVs, and a coffee maker in the suite. It is a shame that we were on a road trip and did not get to fully enjoy the room. The breakfast offering was very good. Everything was stocked – even when we rambled down around 9 AM. There was a variety of things that my wife could eat – which is great because she cannot have gluten. There many items from which to choose and the quality of the food was quite good. There is plenty of room to dine and several TVs available for viewing. There is a swimming pool outside, as well as a fitness center. Regrettably, we did not get to use either. I will certainly seek to stay at this property when I am Dallas again.

staff is delightful - when you can understand them - - the rooms fantastic - and the breakfast buffet is great. Easy to get off and on the hwy and into any areas you want. You will love this place!! even close to the hwy we didn't hear any traffic day or night!!

Ta'mornin greeted me when I arrived with and smile and was VERY professional. She had my stay off to a great start. Our room was very clean and spacious. I am beyond pleased with the staff I encountered and the hotel itself. I can't not mention the delicious breakfast with a large variety and I enjoyed my meal as I sat with a beautiful view of the pool. Very relaxing. Thank you Ta'Mornin for EXCELLENT service!!!!!

"Very close to Richardson, Texas"

The hotel is right off the Interstate 635 and very easy to get to, if you can handle the traffic! Our reception was great. This is a city hotel. It is old. Our first floor room was at the end of the hallway, hence no room on our right side.But it was next to a restaurant with a loud band that played LOUD. We could feel the beat! We were sharing the hotel with a family member who had a larger room than we did. BUT this hotel does not have good sized Bathrooms!! TINY!!! Their bathroom was just as small as ours. We have to give good marks to the Very good Breakfast!!! Everything was fresh and well stocked. The room where we had breakfast was very roomy, Large! Parking is adequate as long as you are not late coming in, cause it fills up very quickly!

"Pay with cash, not credit card."

I spend five nights at this hotel with my husband. The stay was good; normal like most hotels. Breakfast included. When I received my credit card bill, some one had used my credit card , around three thousand dollars plus. I did not make those purchases. So the credit card had to be canceled and they are investigating. The purchase were made with in the time I was visiting and staying at this hotel. I was very disappointed to learn this information. I never went back to this hotel.

This hotel offers top notch service, as well as a friendly staff. The bar located in the lobby is very well ran. The Location perfect, as you can be anywhere in the city/metro in a matter of a few minutes.

always enjoy the stay here. beds are soft, rooms and clean and air conditioning cool and quiet. The breakfast is amazong in the morning and the new resteraunt and bar is a welcomed addition. alot of fun waitching TARA the bartender learn new drink recipes!

"Easy location near conference center"

not great but not a bad place. Complimentary breakfast was a plus. The place just seems to be run down a bit, but the rooms are not bad at all. Very easy easy to the conference center nearby. Decent amount of resultants and attractions surround the area.

Overall the staff was courteous and friendly. The rooms were average compared to the room I had the previous week at A Marriot Resort. The alarm clock going off at 5AM was e only bad experience since I never set the alarm. I would attend another business meeting at Best Western and would recommend to associates.

"Restful Respite after Medical Treatments"

Because we live so far from my medical treatment hospital, we are forced to stay at least one night per medical appointment. We certainly picked the right place! Very clean, wonderful FREE breakfast, convenient to Medical City/Dallas, free shuttle to hosp, and staff CANNOT be beat! Very friendly, helpful and considerate! I would recommend this Best Western to all!

"Quick Biz trip, Great stay, keeping on my list."

Great value, good looking hotel, very nice decor, not your typical BW, the water features were very attractive, the staff was most helpful, from check in to check. The van drivers very accommodating, to run me out to local dinner and back, on-time, no fuss, then run me over to my local business meeting, and back, and again, no fuss. Good business stay, and will visit here again.

"Nice rooms, nicer staff!"

My room and its bathroom were nice clean rooms. The bedding and towels were always clean, not stained/dirty. The free breakfast was good and served in a large dining area. The front desk staff were always friendly and accommodating with whatever I needed. It was nice having a bar in the hotel. The food and drink prices were very reasonable. Kassie was super nice and never let me beer get empty before asking me if I wanted another, a required quality for any bartender. The only critique I would have is that the fan in the bathroom in my particular room did not work, but to be fair they do not work in 90% of the hotels in which I stay. I'll be back in a few weeks for work and will stay at this hotel again!

"Friendly staff"

We spent a night here when we drove to Dallas to attend a funeral. Our stay was good and there is nothing we would complain about. The concierge was friendly and the breakfast staff was nice and smiling; good way to start the day. The room was clean and everything was working. There was good variety with breakfast and a bonus Texas shaped waffle maker. Other than these positive comments, we had some observations that could be improved. Although the A/C was working in our room, it still felt moderately muggy even with the fan set on high. The water in the tub took time to drain; Even when we were done showering, our ankles continued to soak with rinse water. A staff member told us that the 3rd floor was a smoking floor. And we quickly noticed that as someone we rode on the elevator with got off on that floor. It would be nice to have the facility to be completely smoke free. All in all we were satisfied with our stay.

"BW Dallas near 635 & 75"

Business trip. I stayed on the 6th floor facing the highway. I was afraid it would be noisy, but they had double paned windows, so I barely noticed. I was very disappointed that my trash was not emptied one day, and another day housekeeping did not come in at all. But I was very impressed with the staff and how they handled it.

It was my first time visiting Texas from NYC! What a stay! Truly loved this property and will definitely come back soon. Ta'Morning at the welcome desk was exceptional! Please give her a raise! The pool was a great location and the room was comfy and spacious!

"Ups and downs"

We stayed at this property at least a dozen times while bringing my granddaughter to Medical City for OIT. During that time, I have held back from writing a scathing review a couple of times, just because I was afraid of being treated poorly at the next visit. My daughter did answer one of the hotel review request emails honestly after a couple of bad visits, and we were indeed treated differently after that. I hope that I get all of the names right here, I am going to try. First, Dwayne, the night manager, never wanted to honor the rates we were quoted when booking. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn't. We stayed every other week, same night, always ended up paying a different rate than what we were quoted when we called in to book. So unprofessional, so unwelcoming. He always tried to make us feel and look bad when we questioned the bait-and-switch of the rates. We always ended up paying $20 extra or more than quoted when he was working. Then there was Katie, I hope I have her name right. She was a breath of fresh air to that place, always genuinely helpful and friendly. I actually forgot something in the room and she had it sent back to me right away. I was so thankful. My daughter had left a phone charger on one visit, and her baby's shoes on another, and while we always called within hours, our items were never to be seen again. Not on Katie's shift. Not only was my book recovered, but was mailed back to me within a couple of days. After the honest hotel emai review, we always had an overly friendly checkout process with a very professional young lady, I cannot recall her name, but she did a good job. Our next to last stay was miserable. Those two guys that checked us in made DWayne look like employee of the month. They "punished" us, no doubt. We stayed one time after that and then just started staying elsewhere. That room, they mentioned three times that we would be fined if we smoked in the room. We don't smoke, we own a health food store. We avoid smoke. We had never had anyone mention this at check-in prior. Well, this room was by the back door, which slammed loudly every 2-3 minutes, and the smoking area was right behind the air conditioner intake. The smoke took my breath away, and kept me and my two year old granddaughter up gasping for air all through the night as the room filled with cigarette smoke every time someone went out there. By midnight, I actually brought my pillow into the bathtub to lay with the fan on to try to circulate the air. We were all up all night. We went and complained as soon as we got there, but somehow there were no other rooms. Empty parking lot, a reservation made two weeks in advance, but no other room. Breakfast was always sufficient, a good breakfast for a mid-range hotel. Always full, clean and warm. Rooms varied from barely inhabitable (the smoke filled door slamming room) to dead roaches on the floor and past guests socks still on the floor, to clean and nice. They know which rooms are nice and clean (128) and which are miserable, and which feel like they are in the dungeon, and they dole them out as they want. Either to please you and make a good impression (Katie), to jab you for asking about rate changes (Dwayne) or to flat out make sure you have a miserable night. (No guest should be put in that room). This hotel is the most convenient for us after driving 6 hours, to get to Medical City, but we will not be staying there again. We will stay at the Hyatt, closer to Medical City, but a little more difficult to get into on the drive in, because it is clean, and the staff are professional. This property needs a turnover in management, a few classes in professional hospitality, and a new cleaning crew.

Nice hotel. Clean and looks nice. Bed was kind of hard but luckily I like hard beds lol pool was pretty, free parking and coffee at the front. There's a laundry facility and fitness center. Fridge and coffee maker in room. Would stay here again.

I had a rocky start but Dalton made my stay wonderful he is one amzing guy. I will make this my #1 new destination spot when I'm in town. I was also a bit discuraged with Cindy when I had been told to just come get on a shuttle and they would take us to the mall, after getting my children excited about a ride I called the desk at 4pm and was told I have to give a 2hr notice and the shuttle stop running at 7pm mind you they had No reservations Or rides on the shuttle the whole day so that was a real bummer Oh and she rudely said you have to catch a cab, "wow! Dalton, Melanie and Tamornin are a1 employees and I just want to thatk them all 5 Star service

"Not impressed"

The biggest frustration came from the ac CONSTANTLY going out at night. We didn't get much sleep at all because it was so hot in the room. The next issue was the Luke warm showers we were forced to take. There was never any hot water in our room at any point during our stay. Just barely warm. And the bathroom was super tiny. They did have a nice breakfast, and the cleaning staff did a good job. I wouldn't stay again though due to the ac problems and lack of hot water. That's a no for us.

"Awesome stay for the price"

Enjoyed my stay. Hotel was clean, staff were Awesome, breakfast were excellent. Couldn't ask for a better stay for the price. I have always heard good things about best western but only used them once before and the service were excellent then. Needless to say, I am a customer now. From now on I will always look for a bw before I try any others. I will be going back next week and expecting the same great service.

"Road trip"

Loved the little lobby, but for 3 people to a room the room felt too small. Breakfast was good and dining area was spacious. Internet was running very smooth but the tv volume only went to a certain volume lol

"Filthy Room Friendly Staff"

My experience with the staff was great. They all were extremely friendly, but they cannot defend the quality of the hotel. I stayed here with a group and stayed only because the group stayed in the hotel, although three members of our group left for another hotel as soon as they checked in. My room smelled like urine, the carpet in the room was absolutely filthy. I had to keep the air on cold the entire time so I wouldn't smell the urine odor. We removed two cockroaches at least 1.5" big and killed two smaller ones near the night stand. The kids called me the "Cockroach Hunter". The Lobby bar was closed both Thursday and Friday although it's a very nice bar. The Fitness Room has broken equipment, so I had to drive to the local 24 hour fitness 15 minutes away just to work out.

I had the privilege of staying at this location for 9 nights. The location is perfect, the rooms are absolutely beautiful. If you have to stay somewhere that long, you will not be disappointed! The BEST part; EXCEPTIONAL customer service. The Manager, Roy and his superior front desk staff were fabulous. My favorite was, Dwayne. Not to take away from the others, but he was a stand out. I see Dwayne as "a manager for in the future! Roy and your staff, thank you for a job well done! 5 star rating

"Sleep on the floor"

One of the worst front desk and management team I've ever come across. I have worked hotels in Vegas now for 13 years and never had I dealt with such incompetence. We arrived in Dallas. We had booked a room with two beds since I was traveling with my parents. After we woke the front desk person up they gave us our room key....we went to the room and the bed was dirty and there were still someone's clothes in room. The bathroom was a disaster. Went back to front desk and asked for another room. Her simple answer was sorry we doing have another one. It was race weekend in dallas. Isis my best not to scream. I don't think she cared about our situation. Finally they offered us a handicapped smoking room with a single bed so i slept on the floor. When we went to check out I asked to speak to a manager. The front desk lady informed us that he did not take any calls or emails on his weekend. That's when lost it. Because they still charged me for a double suite. I'm still fighting to get these charges changed. Please don't EVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I EMPLORE YOU NOT TO GIVE MONEY TO SUCH INCOMPETENCE

I was offered this hotel while having tests run in Dallas. The room was extremely stuffy but the front staff/James quickly brought me a fan. Restaurant closed at dinner but they had numerous choices in walking distance. The breakfast was amazing also!! Just a good experience.

"Nice stay"

Me and the other 2 people stayed at this hotel for 4 day after our original hotel was way to far from the things we wanted to do. The hotel is very nice inside. Close to alot of things in the city. Our room was good enough for us but the bed are hard as a rock with small pillows. Bathrooms were small but for a hotel room it works. Rooms it's self were clean and they had someone clean them everyday. There is free breakfast that we ate at once It was OK just or normal hotel breakfast. My one thing I would say I hated was the fact we would come back from being out all day and it would be like 9 o'clock at night and we couldn't find parking. You have have huge tucks parking and they would stick out so far into the street. Other than the parking issue I have nothing going else bad to say about this.

"Excellent stay!"

The hotel was excellent from the time we arrived to the time we departed. We were in town for a ministerial conference which we knew was going to tire us out at the end of each day. Coming back to a comfortable room was extremely satisfying. The gracious staff and shuttle service was able to transport us to the Westin hotel daily. The breakfast was pretty good (only desire is for better coffee and sausage and add bacon to the meal). The hotel was very quiet, clean, and staff very courteous. At one point, the water was shut off and we didn't receive a notice. I called to the desk and the gentleman politely informed me they were repairing some faucets and the water would be turned on shortly, which it was. I was expecting a crass response but he was very professional. Can't say enough of the hotel and will look forward to staying here again when visiting Dallas.

"Very Nice Hotel"

Very friendly staff, rooms are nice, clean and the location is convenient. There is a restaurant within walking distance (Masai) that has delicious food at reasonable prices. Would definitely stay here again when in town.

"Hard when hotel is beautiful food excellent staff stinks"

Can you believe that the clerk at check in said "o" we can't do where you requested, I will upgrade you to president's room. It was floor 6 had no aircondioning in the hall. Room was the smallest King room I have ever stayed in. No place to plug coffee in, ECT ECT> Many ways the hotel is excellent, They just need to fire there staff and start over.

"Nice comfortable stay"

Bit out of the way from the hustle and bustle of downtown Dallas. I found it a struggle to navigate without a car. I got a supershuttle to and from the airport and used uber/lyft to get around. Hotel is clean and comfortable. The room had a large comfortable bed, a fridge that didnt work and a microwave that was quite noisy. There was a large TV with a variety of channels. There's a outdoor swimming pool, gym room and computer room to check emails. Bathroom was small but water pressure was decent and lots of towels. Breakfast was great - lots of tasty hot and cold choices, help yourself - buffet style. There's a mcdonalds next door, pharmacy/store opposite and a few fast food places like Subway.

"GOOD PLACE TO STAY"

Although this hotel is a bit of a distance from Dallas, it is clean comfortable and the free breakfast is excellent. The shuttle service to the station made it easy to get around, although it can be improved by changing the radius to 10km from the hotel and not the 5km offered. The staff were also clueless about the bus services and if you are a tourist without a car, you are on your own. A good concierge service would have helped me plan better.

"the smell in room 341...."

the smell in room 341 is that of foul water, or maybe someone died in that room. not sure- kept me up all night and we wont be using that hotel, or the chain anymore. the staff had to know about this issue, but it seems that there are no steps taken to resolve this. they are happy to take the money, but let their guests sleep in foul smelling rooms.

There was a motorcycle event going on this weekend, so there was motorcycle noise, loud voices and pot smoking going on all weekend. ALL WEEKEND. Other than that, no bath counter space, tub didn't drain well, bed hard and air conditioner did not function properly. Room was clean and staff was nice. Dwayne was very sweet and Jeff was stressed. Will choose different hotel on our next visit.

I was not sure about the location when I parked, but was completely sold when I got to the lobby. The clerk was very accommodating and the room was beautiful--freshly remodeled and very comfort able. The breakfast was very good and all in all the stay was great.

"Very nice place"

The hotel is very nice, probably the best Best western plus we've stayed at. Has nice decor and lounge area, design, and rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is very good. The only complaint I would mention is the rooms are small, no extra room to move around in, or for the kids. Otherwise a nice place to stay. I had a couple of issues come up, and James at the front desk took care of everything quickly. Great service. Thanks James!

"Worst Bed Ever!"

The bed was so hard I did not sleep at all. I told the clerk at check out and his response was "You didn't like our new beds?" Then he asked "well how did your husband sleep?" With a smirk on his face and heavy attitude. I called the manager to discuss the problem and being over charged and never got a call back. Will not ever return.

"Best Front Desk Staff Saved a Bunked Reservation"

Reservation made via United Mileage Plus Reward's agent HotelBeds booking number 3545735. When we arrived(8ish in the PM) the front desk system did not show our reservation, so being a third party type booking we(both front desk and I) had to call into the HotelBeds Emergency line (waited for 50+ minutes) BW Plus Front desk staff and manager ( Thank you James!) went above and beyond(2+ hours) to help us sort thru. the messed up reservation: 1. Original reservation request was turn into BW with the wrong email addr w/o actual confirmation 2. The Issued Accommodation Voucher on file at Hotel Beds was dated with a check in 06/10/2016 instead of Oct 6th 2016 and the check out date of 08/10/2016 instead of Oct 8th 2916 so naturally an invalid Reservation! 3. To rectify the situation the Staff Manager had to jump thru hoops with the fragmented 3rd party booking system to get us into an available room at a much higher rates. Definitely a 5stars action. Bravo James and Team BW. I'm now a fan?? --------------- -: Lobby and rooms are updated. Great night rest from the travel. Definitely avoid rooms on the 1st floor closest to the lobby! -: Windows units(though fan noise) with numeric temp indicator is a plus so no guessing required. -: Breakfast Buffet area is spacious and they put out a generous spread Did I mention that the front desk team is super on the ball???

Nothing real special about this hotel, mostly pretty basic for a best western. I do have to say that when we stayed they must have been renting out there conference room because they where having a party down there every night, and it was load and annoying. I Would avoid on the weekends if you are looking for peace and quit

"Pricey and.."

Our room was at ground floor after the laundry (we did not like it at all).It was clean but we had a group of neighbors mostly smoking cigarette and other Stuff outside our room(there was another small entrance close to our room at aisle which was nice for some smokers to be there all the time) we could even clearly smell marijuana inside our room. I asked from the receptionist (her) to change our room but she said "Sorry, its during the spring break and we are fully booked". I really liked the design of their lobby and their restaurant. The breakfast was just okey, some of their personnel were really friendly and I can understand having bad neighbors at any hotel is not really the hotel fault, anyway we definitely never go back to this hotel again.

"Rude!"

We made our reservation with hotels.com but the hotel lost our reservation so we had to book again. It was for 5 nights so over $500. When we came to them a couple days later to show them where we had paid the guy was on his phone texting and barley looked at us. Went round and round with him acting like we were bothering him. I guess $500 isn't a big deal for him but it was for us!! We called Hotels.com and they fixed everything, apologized profusely for the hotel and gave us a $100 credit! The hotel was very nice but the customer service was deplorable!

From check in to check out, this staff was amazing. Don was fantastic. The deco is a bit dated but if you like purple it is good. It sits right at a very busy intersection, but did not have trouble sleeping and the noise factor was very light. Good bed, nice restful night. Thank you for a pleasant stay

Stay was good. Room looked like the pictures and the breakfast was great. Only thing I found wrong was the parking area. We arrived back at the hotel after being out, and there was no where to park. We ended up having to park across the road in a vacant building parking lot. Not very convinent and a little unsafe feeling knowing your vehicle is not close by.

"Dirty rooms and hall ways"

I would never pay 120 dollars for a hotel or rooms that are dirty and dingy as these. The staff was very good but that did not make up for the musty and dirty rooms and halls this hotel was a 70 dollar hotel at best..not a very nice area also

The Hotel is very clean and modern. Good WiFi in room and all parts of the hotel. Useful amenities. Helpful staff which are ready to assit. Above average breakfast included. Very good location next to LBJ & Central Express. Highly recommend.

"Not bad, not great"

Stayed here for 3 nights. Was an alight place to stay with good rooms and a nice atmosphere around hotel. Was a little out if the way from things and dallas doesnt have a good public transport system. Hotel did offer a shuttle service up to 5km tho. Not too far from galleria mall which will suit any shoppers. Rooms a/c units were very old and noisy which meant turning them off over night, dallas is HOT with no a/c. Unfortunally the hotel lost hot water on our last day/night there which was beyond hotel control and they did notify us of the problem and offered us a free burger meal at the bar which was nice. Would stay here again but only if i had a vehicle.

Stayed at this hotel for one night . The room was close to the airport. The property was well kept, The a/c blown ice cold air. Check in was very fast and the customer service was excellent. The only con was the area right across the highway for gas bad area.

"Decent place to stay"

The breakfast was actually pretty good. The rooms were clean, nice little bar and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Good central location, pretty much 20mins from everything fun so inexpensive Uber rides to great restaurants, bars and downtown.

"Very Clean and Quiet"

We were very surprised at how clean and quiet this hotel was. I live in Dallas and often times pass by this hotel, but never thought much of it. The inside was beautiful and nicely decorated. The rooms are nicely furnished and smells clean. Will definitely stay here again.

"DIRTY AND RUDE"

This hotel has cleanliness problems as rooms are not adequately cleaned. Cockaroaches were visible in the interiors and rooms. After check out I was billed $45 for a hair dryer missing from room---I do not use hair dryers (not enough hair for it) and upon speaking with a Ms. Sandra there, who was somewhat hostile and rude, was told I was going to be held responsible for the dryer. Many other hotels in this area to choose from so try and avoid this one.

"perfect stay"

The lobby is gorgeous an Casey at the front desk was very helpful with everything. The bar is very nice but doesn't seem to stay open long enough and the food was delicious. Everything in the room was perfect untili realized I couldn't plug my phone into the tv to charge itlike most best westerns can. I found an employee that worked maintenance named James asked him if they might have one laying around that someone forgot he told me he would check. When I got backto my room later on there was a charging block laying on the desk with a note that read I couldn't locate one that someone left butI had an extra one in my car for you please enjoy your night. It was very thoughtful. When I seen him later that evening I tried to Pay him for the charging block he left me in my room But he told me he couldn't accept an not to worry I could have it that's what he was there for to make my stay great and he really did. It's the little things that made this stay perfect for me. I will definitely be returning thank you best Western.

Just a very poor 2 week stay here. Management always had a smile but the rest of the staff were not friendly. My room was small and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The biggest reason for the poor rating is that two of my co workers had cash and personal items stolen from their rooms. The hotel only checked their key logs and found no one entered their room. Some sketchy things seem to be going on there. There aren't many decent places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Some fast food, but if you want a restaurant be prepared to drive. There was a night that I can home from work and there no parking spots due to a birthday party in the hotel conference center. We were told to park in the fire lane of the hotel and they would call us to let us know when spots were open. They never called. I waited 4 hours before I could get my car parked in a legal spot. There wasn't even a phone call the next morning when the parking lot was empty. A complete lack of professionalism at this hotel. Also, if you work a little bit later in the evening, don't expect the bat to be open. I stayed for two weeks and ever saw it open when I came home. It says it stays open until 10 but I never saw that. There is a nice pool area though. It's in a courtyard and if guest who are using it are very loud it is heard by everyone. There were screaming guests in there entirely too early in the morning and the hotel did nothing. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

The staff was great the hotel is awesome with a great breakfast. The only complaint that i have is that they dont have a premium tv channel so i had to watch commercials. There is a bar that closes at 10 but there is also a restuarant on the corn that stays open till 2 with a bar. The pool is an outdoor pool that looks nice

"Bed bugs everywhere!"

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My co-worker and I checked into this hotel three days ago. We didn't realize one of our blankets were dirty with brown marks on it until later that night and we called the front desk to replace it but the receptionist refused to because he said he didn't have the keys to the room to get a replacement blanket. We couldn't sleep all night because we felt itchy and our room was located right by the exit door that made a lot of noise when people kept frequently using it throughout the night. The next morning we asked to switch rooms but the guy at the front desk kept saying No we are fully booked. Eventually we got switched to another room but didn't check into it until night time after work. Our new room was room# 114 and it was worse than the first room. The blankets were damp and there were ants on the desk. It was another night of no sleep. The next morning we both felt even more itchy than the first night. Later on that day, bed bug bites were found on my chin. Unfortunately, my co-worker suffered the most with bites all over her neck, back, arms and chest. They did not apologize for this issue and I doubt they will do anything about the bedbugs in the room we stayed at except change the bed sheets which won't help. We checked out of that horrible hotel and checked into a nice hotel yesterday night. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Customer service is where most of the points come from on my visit to this Best Western Plus. All of the staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff were absolutely pleasant to talk with and work with. They made the stay here that much more tolerable. Kudos to the HR department for bringing on such great workers. Now, on to the hotel it self. The Good: -The hotel is well situated from the center of Dallas. You have no trouble getting to various locations in a reasonable amount of time (pending traffic). There are also some decent eateries nearby, so you shouldn't go hungry. - The WiFi was perhaps the best I have had at any hotel. Easy to logon; very good speeds - capable of streaming without buffering. Top 5 WiFi experiences. - The cleanliness of the room itself. No stray hairs, no smell (except in the hallway), bathroom was immaculate (but again that goes back to the terrific staff). - The staff (see comments above). - The breakfast buffet teetered in between good and bad. More on that in a little bit. The Bad: - One of the elevator doors kept jamming, and never closed properly. This prompted a couple of trips down the stairs. Fortunately, we were on the 2nd floor; and neither of us are disabled, so it wasn't too much of a hassle. - The breakfast, while hot and constantly turned over was just OK. Compared to other breakfast experiences we've had at other BW Hotels, this was about a C-. I can still fondly recall my stay at the Seaside BW Plus in St. Augustine. Varying breakfasts, multiple drink options, just options in general. The breakfast here was virtually the same everyday. The only items that changed were the bagels - over to croissants; and waffles - over to pancakes (pancakes significantly better than the waffles btw). I know all of the chains are independently run, but that was one area that was regretfully below my expectations. - The room itself was fairly small, and hard at times to be comfortable in. Again, having stayed in many other BW Plus chains around North America, this was a bit odd. The Ugly: - The window in our room had no blackout shades. There was also an intense uplighting outside, that could only be something out of a movie to accentuate some comedic actions to keep a character awake all night. Fortunately, I can sleep through a lot, but that didn't make it any easier to get there. - The side entryway was just really gross. There's a leaky pipe dripping A/C condensation everywhere. One morning I saw some dead roach pieces on the ground. Just not very sightly. The card swipe is also delicate. A certain level of delicate swiping is needed to get in the door. - The bed was mediocre to terrible. This was the first time in a long while that I didn't enjoy my sleep in a hotel room. - I typically like to fill the ice bucket, but we didn't have an ice machine on the 2nd floor. After venturing to EVERY floor, the only one that produced any ice was on the 6th floor. The lesson was learned quickly, but it was still inconvenient. Again, I have stayed at several BW Plus hotels. I always remark how different the experience of Best Western is in the USA, versus other places in the world. It's almost like they don't care, or they don't have the same attention to detail as their international counterparts. The stay was pleasant enough, but it should be noted how this hotel stacks up to some others in the same category.

Nothing special but a good hotel for the price. Room was small but clean. Bed was very comfortable. Free buffet style breakfast was pretty good. Not many places to eat in walking distance other than fast food.

My overall experience with this hotel is very good. I've never had a problem with their services, staff is always friendly and smiling. Breakfast was good but I was extremely disappointed to find 2 roaches outside of my room by elevator on 2 different occasions. Grossed me out!!!!

"Stay if you like the sound of false fire alarms"

We arrived early for check in and knew we wouldn't be back at the hotel until very late. The front desk lady was very kind and let us go ahead and get our room. The hotel does have a odd smell to it and the elevators are worse. We got to the hotel around 1:30am and went to bed at 5:30am the fire alarm started screaming. The alarm went off for about 15-20 mins when we got down stairs the lobby said it was a malfunction. We went back to our room (while the alarm is still going off) it finally turned off then proceeded to go on and off again a few more times. My husband and I were able to go back to bed (after some time to calm down). Around 10:30am the fire alarm was going off again! The next evening when we came back to the hotel I went to the front desk and asked the man if they got the system fixed and he nonchalantly said "I don't know anything about it. I wasn't here last night so I don't know." I felt dumb for even asking. We made it through the night without the alarm going off but at 8am there it was again. It was so frustrating to have it continue to go off and made for restless nights. Thankfully there wasn't a real fire because we wouldn't have evacuated due to the false alarms. We got no apologies or any info on what the problem was. Also, the breakfast which a lot of people raved about was not great...even for a free breakfast. Not worth getting up for or should I say being woken up for.

"ROACHES"

Me and my friends have stayed here for the weekend. First night there we found a huge roach just hanging out on the wall. Saw roaches on walls, floors, and even inside the toilet paper roll (freaked my friend out). The pool was down all weekend, they said "the pool is closed on the weekends" even though it says it's open everyday 7 a.m to 10 p.m. The rooms weren't super clean and it was cramped. So unless you like bugs or roaches I wouldn't stay here, everywhere we turned there were roaches. They should have it deep cleaned or have a exterminator get rid of all of them because everything's bigger in Texas and sadly there was roaches the size of our palms.

Stayed here thinking the pictures were what we're gonna get. But no rooms a smaller than expected and need some updating. Very nice staff upon checking in the guy at the front even recommended some restaurants to go eat at. Nothing really... basic free buffet breakfast. I will stay again if I need just a place sleep. I was meeting up with some co-workes and the room seemed cramped.

Very clean, good position, not too far from the city center, there is free breakfast buffet which is very good. There is a washing machine that guests can use which is a plus. I would stay there again if i need an hotel in Dallas.

"Wonderful place to stay"

I had the chance to spend a week at this hotel. Very clean and quiet rooms. I recommend it. Very close to Dallas attractions and restaurants. Just one reminder: you can't take the breakfast to your room, which it's not a problem because the restaurant is nice and comfortable.

"Disappointing letdown"

After reserving a room for three nights, my family and I arrived at the hotel only to find out that our room was "unavailable" due to flood damage. Reuben at the front desk offered us a smoking room as he said that was the only room available. After we declined, he was suddenly able to "upgrade" us to a suite but we were told in a very rude manner that we would have to switch to our original room the next day. The next morning, we rushed to get downstairs so that we would be able to switch into another room and prevent getting charged for a suite price. The woman at the desk, Sandra, told us that there were no rooms available whatsoever and that our original reservation was for a suite. After informing her that we did not originally book a suite and refused to pay that price for the remainder of our stay, she seemed aloof and provided no solution to the fact that we were essentially without a place to stay for the remainder of our vacation. We checkout out as soon as possible and chose to stay in another hotel. From the moment we arrived, this was the least accommodating hotel with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After returning from our trip, I was charged the total cost of the room twice! The staff only further proved how unprofessional they are, when it took three separate phone calls to reimburse me for this additional charge.

"Military Discount"

Very good service and offered a decent military discount although we found a cheaper rate on Kayak. Great location, within 20 minutes of all the popular areas. The rooms were small but pretty clean. The lobby had a nice bar, but it closed pretty early. Around 9:30.

"Room and breakfast was great but service was bad"

Room was fine and breakfast was great. No internet and when I call the front desk, was told nothing could be done. The next morning had to breath cigarette smoke while the front desk manager stood at the front door with it wide open while she smoked with a friend.

"No Reservation on File"

I had booked the previous night (last minute trip) and received a confirmation number (through Trip Advisor or Booking) so thought everything would be fine when I showed up. Nope. Walked in, spent 3 minutes having the desk attendant plug in my name and then confirmation number several times with no record coming up. Having read other reviews with similar situations, I didn't waste any more time with the guy and headed out to find other accommodations. Surprisingly, the hotel community in the area was very full and after a couple of hours calling and checking; I ultimately found a place several miles away at double the price point I wanted to spend. Lesson Learned: Double check with hotel to ensure they have your reservation. I am fairly skeptical of booking through trip advisor/booking.com for future trips as I'm not sure where the ultimate fault is to blame for the lack of reservation. Overall, very dissatisfied with the experience. I can't comment on the stay at the hotel, but I will say that two blocks north of the hotel on the side street the hotel is situated is a very low rent neighborhood that I would not recommend taking a jog or a leisurely stroll through at any time of day. After having to drive through it, I was fairly relieved I wasn't staying in the area that night.

Comfortable room, great space for business travel. Clean location, great breakfast choices. Front desk staff very friendly. They make the difference! Everyone I met seems to take ownership in property, very refreshing! I normally don't mention anyone in particular, however Casey at the front desk made my stay exceptional! "Good Hotel"

Hotel was clean, staff was super nice. Hotel room did not smell dirty but it didn't smell fresh and clean, either. Bed was comfy. You can't take breakfast back to your room or grab some yogurt, fruit or bakery item and head to your conferences, but it was a good breakfast.

I need to save a cost for business travel and I chose the hotel. I was satisfied with the price and location. It is convenient area. A facility is a little bit old. Room is also old but not so dirty. Room staff keep clean.

"Needs updating"

This hotel showed pictures that appear to make rooms larger than they are. The carpets were dirty. The room had large cock roaches, 3 inches. Good water pressure. Hard to get extra towels. Breakfast very good, except served sausage every day. The bathroom was poorly put together, especially around the tub. The cleaning staff went in my drawers looking for extra towels. The towels were placed there so staff would not take them when cleaning. Placed my items in closet and tied them shut. Carpets were not cleaned. I choose this hotel because it was 5 minutes from the City Hospital. I came from Ohio--our baby was born with serious heart complications. I will be back for the heart surgery in late July, but bill not stay here.

I stayed for three days at this location and got a bit worried at some of the reviews but I tried it anyway and was very pleased. My room was clean and comfy and I did not have any issues. I ate the breakfast which was great, keep in mind I was first in line lol. And I had a steak from their restaurant which was the best flavored steak I've had! I enjoyed this trip and would look forward to staying again next time I'm in the area!

Although we were in Dallas for just the weekend I did not get disappointed where I lay my head at night, The western was nice and very chill, spacey, and homey. They breakfast was very good and I wanted to take a dip in that beautiful pool outside too bad it was cold. They place is very close to their highway too and a Walmart 2 miles away.

"Soccer Tournament in Dallas"

My daughter, granddaughter and I spent a great four days in Dallas and a great deal of that time was spent at the hotel. The room was comfortable and our request for a first floor room was granted. The room was equipped with a microwave and small refrigerator which helped us economize on food. Also available were a washer and dryer for washing the dirty soccer clothes. The breakfast was very good. I was impressed that they had real scrambled eggs. There was also sausage, oatmeal, french toast, some muffins, fresh fruit and other breakfast items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even when walking in the halls, staff always greeted us with a smile and a hello. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The one drawback was a request for an emailed receipt which we have not received.

"Nice hotel"

The hotel was nice. The room was very small but the beds were comfortable and since I was staying in the room alone, it was all the space that I needed. I could see It being a little crowded if a couple were sharing the room. Tried out the pool and the water was too cold to even think about putting more than a leg in, a heated pool would have been nice. The elevator had a very strange smell it would be nice if they figured a way to get rid of it, its very off putting. Never had a chance to try out the breakfast and but wished I did. The location was nice, McDonalds was close by and some other places to eat were across the street. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

This hotel is nice but the location is not the greatest. Lots of people walking through the parking lot at night made me a little uneasy leaving my car outside. The rooms themselves though are great. I have no complaints. What I liked most was the great free breakfast they provide. The food was very good and the friendly staff kept everything in the dinning room clean at all times.

"Good but creepy"

This hotel has a very weird design. You have these very long, narrow hallways throughout the hotel. It's not comfortable if you are carrying heavy bags as elevators are very far away from the main public areas. It's well located but the area is sketchy. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms are strangely small and yet comfortable. Considering the price, I would say it's good value but again, the design of the hotel doesn't do it for me.

"Terrible Hotel"

Booked hotel for three day stay for my family trip. The service was horrible. Our first room was too small. We upgraded and they charged double the booked rate. Then we couldn't get any washcloths because they did not have keys on the night crew. How does that happen? The last night was originally booked separate. I was told the reservations would be combined and I would be moved to the suite I reserved for the last night. I was told I did not have to check in again on Friday. When we returned from a very long day our room was locked, and again no one had a key. We had to wait for almost two hours for someone to come with keys. No apologies were made until we complained. It was after 1 am before we could get our little ones in the room to prepare for bed. Then at checkout I was being severely overcharged and the manager Sandra had the worst attitude about trying to correct the charges. She even said "Jesus christ" as she walked away like I was the problem. That is totally unprofessional.

This is my fourth time to stay at this hotel when I travel to the Dallas area for business. Internet is very good rooms are small but for me I just need a place to sleep shower and work so this hotel fits my travel budget. Food in the morning is typical but the folks are all very nice and friendly

"Don't skip breakfast"

This is a well kept property. The front desk staff was friendly. On the 5th. floor the hall smelled of cigarettes. We requested a non-smoking room, and our room had no odor. I asked the head house keeper for extra towels, and you would have thought she was giving up her first born. I told her I would go down to the front desk if need be to request them. She finally relented and let me have 2 extra. And don't even think you can get an extra make-up remover packet. She flat out said no to that. So just know that you need to go to the front desk to request anything extra. Other than that, it was a good stay, and we will be back. The breakfast is freshly made eggs, meat and potatoes along with the other common breakfast foods.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable so it's a good choice if you're basically just using the room to sleep. It also has a fairly good hot breakfast. It's probably 10-15 minutes from downtown.

"Convenient location for flying out of DFW"

I live in the DFW area had not flown out of the DFW Airport in many, many years. (I fly Southwest out of Dallas Love Field if at all possible). We had such an early flight and would have to drive 30-45 minutes to the airport. We decided the $100 for the night was worth not having to worry about traffic or finding our way at such an early morning. This was convenient, clean and has a very friendly staff. Mona helped us at the front desk. She was training - but did a great job. I would certainly stay again!

Basic accommodations decent and clean. No huge problems but MANY small annoyances. Poor room service, issues with the plumbing, problems with the room keys, poor internet, satellite TV rarely worked... But the staff does the best they can with what they have.

The hotel is just OK. This place with clean and quiet for the most place. Looks to have been remodeled in the past few years. The location of this Hotel is very central for Dallas Texas. The staff here is HORRIABLE!!! RUDE RUDE!! The 2 days I stayed here I never once encountered a single polite staff member here. There are so many more hotel in Dallas in the Same area that are the same price or cheaper and the staff and facility is much better.

Hotel is situated on the highway. Rooms are quite decent and the hotel itself has a nice lobby. The breakfast buffet is monotonous and not very inspiring. There is a pool, business center and gym. The only outstanding thing about the hotel is the location.

"Average hotel but central location"

I stayed here for a couple of nights and found the hotel at best average. The check-in process was smooth but the keys didn't work and i had to go back all the way downstairs from 3 floors to get the keys reset. Moving on, the room is small though and i felt a little boxed in so definitely a bigger room would have been a plus. A plus for smokers is that they have smoking rooms available. There was standard stuff in the room though, which would be useful for long stay like a microwave and fridge. The bathroom was really small too though it was clean and the room though i got a smoking one, smelt fresh. Downsides - they dont have a shuttle on the premise and their in-house restaurant and bar shut down at 9 pm on a Monday night, which might seem ok in all fairness but for a business traveler getting in late at night that usually is a downside in my opinion. They have a conference center on premise though so i figure thats what their real proposition is about. Upside - is the location since you are close to a CVS, an in-n-out burger place, and there are options for subway, McDs as well. Close to Richardson and Addison by car also helps since there are tons of restaurants in these places.

"Incompetent Uncaring Management"

I had a stay at the BW Plus 2/4/15 -2/6/15 on 8051 Lyndon B johnson I arrived at about 1am after a 4hr flight from phila I get to the hotel and my wife put the room in her name ... easy fix the desk person fixed it.. I prepaid for the room thru the hotelstonight App i get to the hotel and the attendant says that they cant take my prepaid card for the $25 incidental fee i asked him why he said thats what the manager says she does the site I said the site where I booked doesnt say that can you show me and he didnt... I pulled up the BW site and it says if the room is prepaid you can take $100 incidental hold for the room I showed him he says i have to take it up with the manager in the morning but in the meantime I cant stay there so after arriving at 1 am from another city im tired and confused about the situation ... then another person ( the engineer i thin) comes over in an ignorant tone and says whats your plan i said i don't know im working on it ...he says well do something you cant stand here all night ... I had to book at another hotel catch a taxi over there and pay for another 2 nights because of this and I already paid for the 2 nights at the best western . I emailed the manager and she has not responded nor do I think she will nor does she care. I think this is awful representation of your company and will never stay there again ... I think this was handled horribly and this is over $25 incidentals which i wasn't going to use anyway ... Im pretty sure this will not be answered either or taken care of but it needed to be said

"A mixed bag"

We had a family member in Medical City and this was one of the suggested hotels on their site. We stayed a week. The website pics looked nice and indeed, the interior of the hotel wasn't bad. The lobby is quite lovely, the rooms spacious (2 dbl beds), and the breakfast was nice (though the same thing every a.m.). They offered luggage carts, but no bellmen to assist. The bathrooms were tiny with no separate vanity area. The decor in our room was depressing, so dark with putty gray and plum walls coupled with dark furniture and carpet. We had to turn on every light at night to see properly. Every night we went to fill our ice bucket - a chore because the machines weren't working properly. They were huge machines, yet would slowly yield approx. 1-2 cups of ice and we had to go to several floors to get one bucket full - took 20-30 min. each time. One evening we came in from the hospital loaded down with several large bags and were informed at the front desk that the elevators were out and to take the stairs. No help offered and there didn't appear to be any available. The rate was quite reasonable. Had they charged more, I'd have relocated, but it fit my companion's budget. It is close to Medical City, shopping and restaurants are plentiful in the area. So, all in all, a mixed bag.

"First time in Texas, great impression "

Came from Midwest to do interviews in Dallas Rockwall area. This was the best hotel experience I ever had in any place when staying with my family. My young son loved the entrance and was quite vocal with as much amazement as I'd felt. And it was refreshing a long 17 hour road trip to get here. Loved the layout and the breakfast atmosphere was joyful. Staff were quite polite and helpful in all ways possible to keep a toddler satisfied and entertained. Enjoyed the after hour room service for food. Thank you for the best intro for me and my family. We did move down to Texas 2 months later. Will come back again soon.

"Mixed Experience"

We've stayed in this hotel on three separate occasions in the six months; our experiences has been mixed. Each time the staff has been EXCEPTIONAL in attitude and helpfulness. The front desk staff have been different folk with each encounter, but every single encounter has been above reproach. Truly an amazing feat. Our first room was a King Suite and was exceptional in all ways. Our second two experiences were in regular King rooms and was less impressive. During this last stay we noted: - the bed was extremely hard - the room and towels were not clean - the tub did not drain properly - one of our mornings we had a lukewarm/cold shower (bleh) Upside: the rate was incredibly low.

"Enjoyed our stay"

The hotel was recently updated and very nice and clean. The front desk service was exceptional! Everyone we came in contact with was very nice. It is near the interstate but the noise wasn't a bother to us. We would definitely stay at this Best Western location if we visit the Dallas area again. The only negative if you consider it a negative (and it was no big deal to us) is the bathroom was small.

Stayed overnight for a maverick game with my son.. this was an excellent hotel especially for the price..i've stayed all over the country...this is definitely one of the best.. breakfast amazing...the rooms...lobby...lounge and bar area very modern....conveniently located right off a Major highway... easy on...easy off..check in quick so is check out...everyone professional..rooms very clean and modern...I rate a 5 star regardless of price...will visit again

Love the hotel, bed was very comfy, lots of pillows, room excellent. Breakfast was good, hot and lots of variety. The front desk staff (lady) was very good and attentive. Location very close were we need it to be. Check out very fast, good a good military discount. Will recommend.

"Rashidt and Savannah are Amazing"

I am giving this hotel a 5 star rating because of Rashidt and Savannah! These two provided superior customer service. I was very impressed with them and will definitely return to this location for all my future Dallas travels. Checking in was very smooth. Rashidt was very polite and personable and answered all my questions before I even needed to ask. Savannah was such a pleasure. She was very polite and managed to handle my last minute reservation extensions and so on with ease. These two made this stay extremely comfortable. They are assist to this staff and I hope great things for them. While standing in line at the front desk, poor Savannah was confronted with an extremely HOSTILE guest. Through all the verbal abuse and irrational behavior of this fellow guest Savannah managed to keep her composure and deal with him in a very professional manner. I applaud how well she handled this situation and how even immediately after dealing with this nightmare of a guest she was able to treat me with such kindness and maintain such a positive attitude. Shame on that guest!! This was a Situation that was completely out of control for the hotel. Lets be reasonable, The Front desk staff should not be held accountable for the STORM that hit Dallas. Savannah and Rashidt were outstanding. This hotel should be very proud of their staff. I wish I knew the names of the 3 housekeepers I encountered. They were very attentive and detailed. My 2 rooms were clean and the three housekeepers I encountered in the hall were very polite. Including the Maintenance man who was kind enough to stop what he was doing to help me locate the nearest Ice machine.

"Beware of bad customer care..."

Would NEVER stay at this hotel again. The room was just okay, however a mistake was made on my reservation and the hotel issued me a refund. A week later, they recharged me saying that the employee who issued the refund was not authorized to make the refund. A customer should not suffer because they were inadequately staffed. A customer should not be held at the mercy of a business, especially when they have a receipt for a refund issued by that business. And for them wait over a week to recharge the room after placing it back on a credit card is certainly a display of poor customer care.

The hotel is not bad. The staff was friendly, although I could smell smoke in some areas (but no in the room). Stayed there only one night and would consider staying there again. It's worth the price, which is not too much.

I've stayed at this particular hotel many times because it's close to my son's hospital. The staff was bickering every time we came to the lobby. The staff ignored my son when he came to buy food at the sundry shop. I was unable to come down because I was taking care of my baby. There is a strange gas smell in the lobby that is kind of disturbing, but the room doesn't have the same smell. The value is worth dealing with poor staff.

"A Pleasant Surprise Awaited Me!"

I needed a place to stay for a few days while my house was being worked on and I wanted find a place that was reasonable in price yet safe and clean. The Best Western Plus was a pleasant surprise. I found it clean and even though smoking is allowed, it is only on one floor and that floor is self-contained. I was able to go to my room and approve before I checked in. It was clean and free of smoke. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was real food - eggs, sausage, biscuits and other items locally prepared. It is not what I call a luxury hotel, but it did not have luxury prices either. I would stay here again without hesitation. The pool and workout facilities were very nice. The pool is outdoors, so I did not swim since was in the 50 degree range outside.

The room was fine, a decent size and clean. I was just passing through overnight so stayed in the hotel to eat and I do not recommend it. The barman was great and very nice but the food was terrible and had very poor options. I ended up with a microwave pizza as I'm a vegetarian and that was my only choice.

The hotel was very clean and not as noisy considering it was booked. The only thing that was disappointing was the restaurant didn't have hardly any selections due to management not ordering enough food.

Nothing bad to say...at all. Clean, nice, friendly staff, phenomenal bar, where the bar tender will get you any kind of food that you want! The distance from Downtown is a little further than I had hoped, but this appears to be the nicest Best Western in the entire area, so it was worth it.

Back again after 2 years and it is nice to see that they are still investing in the property, room of a good size, clean and comfortable with fridge. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast has a good selection of items and love the biscuits. Pool is good with tables and ample sun beds as well as some shade. Convenient location with good access to nearby restaurants. Will return on next visit.

The Good: 1) Convenient location. 2) Decent price. 3) Wonderfully helpful staff. 4) Fairly decent breakfast. I found the housekeepers helpful in providing additional towels when needed. And, the desk clerks actually wrote down my observations that I'd asked be passed on to management. The Negatives . . 1) Very, very dark room. We were in a low level room and not in the (newer?) tower. All of the furniture for the small, poorly lit room was large and black. It was very depressing. 2) The "Sundry Room" next to the front desk was really a snack shop. The only non-snack items were deodorant and sewing kits. (My partner was in need of Tylenol,) Also, of the 5 overhead lights, only one was working. It was very dark. (I asked the friendly desk clerk and she said there wasn't another switch.) 3) Signage . . Going down the hallways toward the end, there were directional signs for most rooms, but not for those near the end. (We were in 105 and had to guess our way at where it would be. Those in the room next door had the same problem finding their room. 4) I was surprised that they checked off my room number when appearing for breakfast, but perhaps that is common, even though it was a first for me. 5) (Slight) Litter . . A chewing gum wrapper and other bits of litter that were in the halls at 6 in the evening were still there at breakfast time. I would expect that BW Plus staff would automatically reach down and pick up such "stuff" in passing, provided any staff went past the front desk after 6.

Hotel is very conveniently located to just about anywhere you want to go in Dallas. The outside grounds were very clean. The staff were very welcoming every time we entered. Room was well maintained and clean. Just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of what Dallas has to offer.

For years I have not been a fan of Best Western hotels, but I must say, this Hotel has me re-discovering Best Western! It was bright, modern, what few staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast buffet and nice décor. Price was probably the most surprising of all- a very good value for what you get. We got a two room suite at a great price. Close to Medical City Center while my Father was in the hospital and it was a only a few blocks away - most convenient. Another big surprise was how quiet it was. Not only sheltered from the noise of the heavy traffic, but we heard very little noise from the rooms next door or out in the hallway. The layout of the building was a little unusual, with a long walk from the front desk to the middle of the buildings to access the elevators - but overall - yeah next time I would consider rediscovering Best WesternPLUS hotels.

I was in dallas for the first time. They helped arrange a taxi from love field airport for me. But it's a nightmare checking in. The person on duty wanted to charge me higher rates than the ones I was give for pre booking. I had to call customer care for the problem to rectified. But overall the rooms are clean, and breakfast is good.

"pleasant surprise hidden under High 5"

Previous reviewers mentioned an eye-catching remodel, and this hotel didn't disappoint on that front. The only catch was the startling contrast between the beautiful lobby and room furnishings and the awkward location, outside appearance, and tiny, twisty hallways. First things first: how to find the place! Come south on Coit Rd from Beltline or Spring Valley and turn left on Emily Rd right before the massive intersection with LBJ/635. There's a traffic light and turn lane but no Best Western signage and it's very easy to miss. The hotel is on your right just past the Wells Fargo bank. There was a sign saying that checkin time was 2pm at the front desk, which was confusing. I'd called asking for an early checkin and was curtly told my room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. The checkin experience was competent but impersonal, and I was not directed to the elevators. It took me a long time to find my room! There were tiny signs to the two small, old elevators deep in the central core of the 6-story building. Then there were narrow hallways in all directions with very low ceilings. When I opened my door, I found a tiny room crammed with nice furniture and a small bathroom with brand-new sink, tub, and toilet. My window overlooked a lovely central pool area. I hadn't expected a microwave and fridge, and they were a pleasant surprise. Since I spent most of my time in the room, I enjoyed my stay. My only complaints were a bug crawling on the outside of my door and a groaning noise from the heating/cooling unit. Neither bothered me enough to call for help. I completed the Best Western online survey and was very impressed that General Manager Pina emailed me within 24 hours with an apology about my checkin trouble. I chose this hotel based on its low price and strong reviews. I will likely stay again!

"Almost never went in"

The entrance to the hotel and surrounding rock gardens were littered with cigarette butts and cigarette smell was noticeable when entering. I almost walked away, but was too tired to look for somewhere else. I was glad I did not because everything else about the hotel was very good. It was a good value and I will be staying there again.

The room was very clean and nice, the staff were very friendly, and it was a great price! It was close to some main arteries in Dallas and easy to navigate. The breakfast was decent and had a large variety, the bar had some decent food at night for room service.

"Just what we were looking for"

Had a group adventure. We all shared rooms that were all right next to each other. Price was good, rooms were great - as an aside, I love all the purple. Favorite color! Cost included a full breakfast, 24 hour gym, and access to the pool. My only complaint is that you can't actually pull the blinds fully shut, and there was a fairly bright billboard right across from our room. Seems a bit odd to me, but no other issues and we would stay here again.

"Overnight to the State Fair of Texas"

Our group went online to find a hotel near the State Fair of Texas for our work/fun trip. This one looked good and was under budget. It did not disappoint. It was clean and good looking. Easy check-in. Great looking room. It was a little spread out and lots of twists and turns to get anywhere. Ice was on the 1st and 6th floor only? It did have laundry facilities for longer stays. Full hot breakfast was included! Bonus!

Never got a room so i can't rate the rooms. We showed up on vacation dressed for vacation (t-shirt and shorts) and was told there wasn't any rooms available with two beds. Their online site said there was. Their hot line said there was and TripAdvisor said there was. Man at the counter said they be lying to me. He gave me more a snarl smirk more than a smile the whole time I talked to him. He treated the business people in front of me with respect and the ones behind me with respect but I didn't get any of that respect. I felt like I didn't get any respect because I wasn't dressed nice like I guess I shouldve. I gave it two and not one because I didn't get to see a room so I can't judge how the rooms was.

Dear Quinton H., I sincerely apologize if you were made to feel uncomfortable. We tremendously value all guests and provide exceptional accommodations to all guests: leisure, corporate, international tour groups, religious & athletic groups. Would you please send me your date of stay & name reservation was under, or room number if possible? I will research and watch front desk videos to see who was on staff and what I can observe as far as rudeness & what transpired on the reservation that caused it to go from a two-room reservation to a one room reservation. My experience was the best that someone could ask for. The property is in a great location, well kept, and employees are extra friendly. Service, Value, Quality, Rooms, Safety, Staff, are all ranked 100% great!!!

Great conference space; nice ballrooms; ideal for small conference setting (200 attendees); affordable rates; suites are roomy; clean facilities; Wi-Fi connection worked well; ample parking; all amenities worked well in the rooms; climate control for rooms are easy to manage; we will use this facility again for our next retreat or leaders conference.

Had a very unpleasant stay because of the poor attitudes. Hotel itself is nice and amenities are nice. Touched with 5 different people at different times at the hotel from reservations to check in to resturant to housekeeping.

We stayed here on a deal. The hotel was okay for the price. The location was great being downtown. The beds were not very comfortable for me but my fiancé liked them. DO NOT order the room service. The food took forever, the orders were wrong and for the price I paid it was awful!

"Business trip"

Just stayed three nights during a business trip to the area. Nice lobby area, neat and tidy room, although the room felt small in size. My main complaint would be the ac unit in the room. It is noisy and sounds like a bus is speeding by your room whenever the unit starts running and we felt like it did not cool the room enough. Good breakfast and service was good at the lounge. All in all, not a bad stay.

Dear nrsioux, We are very glad you enjoyed your stay with us during your recent business trip and appreciate you sharing details! Would you please contact me directly and let me know the dates you were here and the name on the reservation (best would be if you can remember the room number, but I'm not certain that is possible). With that information I can pinpoint which room and have Engineering address the air conditioner. All of the air conditioners are less that 1 year old so there should be no issue. "If you reserve a suite, expect to make up the convertible sofa on your own"

Overall, this facility is very, very good, but we were surprised to open the convertible sofa in the suite only to find it devoid of linen. We could think of no excuse for this, since the suite was for three people. Naturally, the required linens appeared at our door within minutes and we were told that the linen should have been present in the free-standing clothes cabinet (no closet). It was, but we still had to make the sofa bed ourselves, which left us underwhelmed. Just before checking out the next morning, we found a cockroach, which we dispatched immediately. On the plus side, the standard bed was comfortable and the sofa bed above average. The complimentary breakfast also proved to be excellent. We think that the hotel should have prepared our room for three people, or at least sent someone from housekeeping to make the bed after we called about the linen.

Dear Ward D, Thank you for choosing our hotel and for the very positive words you shared regarding your stay. I am so sorry to hear about the situation you encountered with the insect. We are on a very aggressive treatment schedule with our Exterminator for all insects and usually get same day service if there is an issue like you encountered. I did confirm with Housekeeping that sleeper sofas do not have the bedding on the bed. Rather it is in the armoire as you mentioned for the guest to use as needed. I prepaid for two nights two standard rooms for 3 people in each room Via Trip Advisor at Best Western Plus for 9/25-9/27. I specifically made the reservation because of the two queen beds selection available vs king bed. Again the room was for 3 guests each. At arrival check in said that there were only king rooms available and hotel was full Was asked how was my reservation made and said via Trip Advisor then I was told That Trip Advisor communique did not specify two queen beds but did specify Standard room with three guests each. The hotel did give two king rooms and offered a roll in bed in each room which made each room quite uncomfortable. The room was so small that roll in bed could only be placed 9 inches from the airconditioner and the person sleeping in that bed said their arm felt frozen in their sleep. In addition there were only two towel sets in the king room. Front desk was called for in the first evening for two additional bath towels. They did not arrive that night. In the morning walked to front desk and asked for two towels and was told that the room only comes with two towels and that I would have to turn in the used towels to get two clean towels. I said we have more than 2 guests in the room. The clerk handed me two towels and I proceeded upstairs and when I got to the room and unfolded the towels ended up they were bath mats. I called front desk and was told again that needed to turn in two used towels to receive two others because a king room only comes with two towels. Housekeeping arrived about 15 minutes later with two bath towels and asked for used towels. She was given the bath mats and the issue was closed. The towel issue was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had in a hotel. Travel is a big part of my job and i spend weeks at a time on business in hotels as I am a customer service consultant in a hospital system. This Facility missed the mark on customer service in a way I cannot understand in any way. So lesson learned at this facility: If you prepay two queen beds for two standard rooms for three guests each via Trip Advisor at the Best Western Plus Dallas Convention Center upon arrival you will be told that the Communique from Trip Advisor will only result in two King rooms for three guests each and two towels.... It seems that a King room is a Standard room at this hotel. Overall the reported disconnect Between Trip Advisor and Best Western Plus resulted in me not wanting to use trip advisor again and not wanting to stay at Best Western Plus again.

It is unfortunate but a fact that reservations made through a third party (Trip Advisor, in this case), do not guarantee any specific room type. This is the policy of the third party booking source not the policy of the hotel and can result in the situation you encountered. I would like to take this opportunity to educate travelers that again: reservations made through a third party (Trip Advisor, in this case), do not guarantee any specific room type. The hotel can make every attempt to meet the guests' desires but if the desired room type is not available, we cannot provide the desired room type. We did all possible to rectify a situation not of our creating but in order to meet a need a guest of ours had. We hope you will stay with us again and hope we have supplied you and other travelers with helpful information for stays at our hotel & other hotels booked through a third party. Safe travels!
