« Friendly staff, great location. Excellent stay. »

With good location they have all we need. Restaurant within walking distance. I had a sandwich and some hot coffee which was really good. Staff of the hotel is very helpful. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

« Not as nice as other Best Westerns »

I'm a fan of this chain, but this location wasn't so hot. Broken coffee maker, smoking plug, no spot for soap in shower, no dresser or table in room, broken jacuzzi jets.... IDK maybe one of the standard rooms would have been nicer, but the suite, for $173, was definitely NOT worth the money. Find another hotel.

    « place is a dump »

the parking is great and this place is good for being centrally located. however the rooms are falling apart. I also stayed here for three full days . the stupid maid never left shampoo in my room the Second day . she also never did the third day . the furniture is also falling apart. get a room elsewhere.

    « Great stay »

Eveyone in the staff was really nice and healful. Conviniently located near downtown. Resturant on walking distance. Buzzbrew has a somw delicious burgars and coffee. i really enjoyed staying here. i wil definetly recommed this hotel to my friends and family. thank you

« Good location, nice staff. Fair price »

Room was clean and close to restaurants and nightlife. Close to SMU. Near the expressway, so it was a little loud, but not bad. Parking was tight, but not terrible. Have stayed here twice. Nice value for the location.

« Usually a great stay, disappointed this time. »

When traveling to Dallas, I always stay at this property because I have almost always been treated well, however, on this trip, I was very disappointed. I was not at all recognized at a Gold Member with the rewards program and some basic requests were not met...extra towels in the room and a ground level room since I have service animals and there are no elevators.

    4
    « Convenient and welcoming »

This hotel is very well located next to an expressway and is surrounded by restaurants and other conveniences. Very functional, well appointed, with a good breakfast and plenty of parking. Definitely a go-to location for my next trip to Dallas.

« Room was not clean upon arrival.. »

So check in is at 3pm. My spouse and I arrived about 30 minutes early and asked to check-in. The guy at the front desk told us that our room was being cleaned at that very moment and suggested we wait. So we did. No big deal. We decided to go grab some food then come back. We got back at 3:05, checked in, got our room keys and headed to check out our room. When we got to our room, the door was wide open. I instantly got sceptical. We walked all the way in the room and there were cigarettes in an ash tray on the table, (we requested a non-smoking room), there was an over flowing trash can of beer bottles and there weren't any sheets on the bed. CLEARLY our room was not cleaned. We went right back to the front desk and it was a different guy. We told him about the mess, he apologized and called one of the house keeping ladies who said she would get right on it. According to the front desk guy, they didn't think the room needed to be clean right away. We waited around for 45mins then bailed. We we're exhausted from driving in and to have to wait almost an hour after checking in and still not have a room? I was not pleased. We cancelled our reservation and decided to stay at a different hotel.

    1
« Poor customer service and broken shower »

This place was a mess. Yes an older hotel but needs a lot of work. The worst was our shower didn't work and by the time we figured it out it was two late to change rooms because we were headed to an event. I have called at least 7 times since and left messages for the manager and have never heard back. Horrible customer service. Though conviently locates how do you pay over 100 dollars a night for a hotel that the shower doesn't work in.

    1
    « Bedbugs »

The beds were comfortable and the room seemed clean. However, even though I looked for them, I got more souvenirs than I bargained for when we stayed here last week. They've got a problem in room 131!!!!! I have bedbug bites along my neckline, face, hands, arms, and waist. Also, the walls are incredibly thin. I heard the guys next door talking until 1 a.m. one night. I don't plan to ever stay here again.

« Management worked with us »

This hotel has smoking rooms, and a cool heart-shaped jacuzzi rooms, which is why we booked it. My wife and I have stayed here before, in the jacuzzi suite, and loved it. So, when our anniversary came around, we knew exactly where we wanted to go! I booked the smoking jacuzzi room online, but saw the reservation showed non-smoking. I called and verified we were booked in smoking, and was assured we were good to go. When we arrived, they sent us to a king suite, with no jacuzzi. Turned out they had given the room to another person before we got there, so no jacuzzi for us that night. My wife talked with the desk clerk, and he reduced the rate on the king suite by $10, so we would at least have a place to stay the night. I give the hotel good marks for reducing the rate, but major point loss for giving our room to someone else. We called around and found another Best Western with a jacuzzi suite for the following night, so at least salvaged the trip. Bottom line: would probably stay here again, but wouldn't trust the reservation until we checked in.

« Great location wonderful staff »

Upon checking in late night for a supervisor I booked the wrong room tight and he the gentleman on the phone is able to accommodate me without incident which was an upgrade then I had to add a night unknowingly and they made this process so easy without incident also breakfast was great privacy nice it's happening at night it has enough excitement

    2
    « No hot water »

There was hot water at 11pm but not at 5pm and 6 am. That would be a problem for several rooms not just one!!i thought best western had higher quality hotels. This is an old hotel with rooms opening to the outside balcony. The area is great but I expected better from best western.

    5
« Good Service for a Good Price »

Very happy with my experience at this hotel. Stay here every time we are in Dallas. Great service and love the 24 Hour cafe next door. Clean rooms and friendly staff . Would defiantly recommend Best Western City place Inn.

    3
« Dated hotel, outside entrance to room, great breakfast »

Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, easy access from the highway and great breakfast. Loved the bacon. Nice employees at the check in/out desk. Breakfast was wonderful. Bacon, eggs and potatoes prepared just the way I like them.

    4
    « Great location »

Nice midrange motel with a clean room and free full breakfast in a area close to restaurants and easy access to the convention center. The King room I had was on the small side, but clean with a comfortable bed.

    2
    « Don't have a title for review »

I do not recommend this location or this hotel. The parking lot and the sidewalks were filthy. The outside of the room where I stayed was dirty. There was no hot water and the sink would not drain. I was not allowed in the lobby to check in as I guess it was too late being after 9:00 which is why you would want to go inside to check in. Clerk was discourteous and inefficient. Reservation was questioned both nights with verification required.

    3
« Nearest to Dr. Office »

Hotel was nearest to medical center. Adjacent restaurant is 24 hours and staff there were great! Hotel is dated but comfortable, surrounded by office towers on the Freeway. Room was very quiet and curtains kept light out. Exterior in out had us a bit worried, but room felt secure. Old style chain on door didn't support that feeling - suggest they go to something a bit more robust. Used handicap accessible room - shower stall seemed in need of cleaning.

    2
    « please advertise as a MOTEL »

I picked this location because of its near distance to where i needed to be and the area was safe. However, I felt very unsafe at this MOTEL. It was not a closed in hotel like the website suggested. I was asked for money by 3 people while there, approached by someone every time i was in the parking lot, and people partied in the exposed hallways all night. Twice, others staying at the hotel followed my down a hallway asking what room I was staying in. I was unable to sleep because of concerns over my safety.

    5
« The "Best" Best Western EVER! »

I can't say enough good things about the staff and how well this property continues to take good care of me each and every time I visit Dallas. 100% would recommend property to my family and friends without hesitation.

    « Dallas »

Very Clean and comfortable beds. Also very good restaurant on site. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Location is ideal for the conducting business near downtown. I recommend this hotel to everybody. Also the breakfast is much better than typical Best Western hotel by providing eggs and bacon.

    3
    « Upgrades needed »

The hotel has an excellent location, very close to Highland Park, and downtown. The remote did not work, when the front desk was notified, we were told to check the remote for batteries. The batteries were missing; the front desk did not send someone to bring new batteries or inspect the television. The light in the bathroom was dim, perhaps guests are not expected to read in the bathroom.

    5
« Good Value for Money »

I've stayed here a few times when traveling for business. I like that the location is conveniently located to Uptown/Downtown and Addison. Rooms are big. Free breakfast is satisfactory and the breakfast hours are long. It is next to a freeway but noise isn't too bad. Two other food options are located on the same premises which is super convenient when I'm traveling for work - Snap Kitchen and a Zagat rated diner.

    2
    « Restless in Dallas »

The location sold this facility but the trash truck at 3:10 am and the night staff ruined our stay. Traveling with my husband and two adult children we needed the convertible sofa. When making the reservation by phone I asked to have the sofa made up. I had to walk over to the office to get bedding and make it up myself. When I opened the bedding sack I had a blanket a pillow in a case and one sheet. By the time I discovered we were missing a sheet night staff argued that that was all we needed! All sheets were scratchy and of poor quality!!

    3
« Helpful staff, good location, clean but much to worn »

I almost didn't stay because the room looked so worn. I stayed because I am lazy and our nephew lives blocks away. The room turned out to be very comfortable in spite of its run down appearance. We received a last minute document that needed to be signed and returned. Chris, at the front desk, printed it for us. We signed it and he faxed it for us (the scanner wasn't working.) He gave us hours of our day to do other things and we so appreciated it. If they would remodel I would stay again, but the condition of the rooms can only get worse at this point.

    5
    « Amazing place »

We stayed in this place for 4 days, it ways amazing...rooms were clean, food also really good, position of this place was great, they have swimming pool, great wifi, big parking area. We will definitely come back to this place. :D

    2
    « Slow front desk »

First, be careful pulling in off the frontage road the speed bump at the top of the incline is very inconveinent for cars. Second, the lobby is very small. Third, the check in at night was the slowest and most unprofessional I have ever experienced in a hotel.

    4
    « Nice surprize »

The Best Western Cityplace looks dated, because all the doors open to the parking lot, but I have stayed here several times and really like it. It's very convenient if you're driving yourself. Give it a try!

    4
« Visit from NY State »

Location and price were very good. It was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was free but just okay. While there, my husband and I met Segundo Gutierrez, the maintenance supervisor. Segundo was friendly, helpful and an incredibly hard-worker. He took pride in this hotel as if it were his own. This hotel is lucky to have Segundo, a reliable, skilled and all-around handy man.

    5
    « Convenient »

Nice and reasonably priced near downtown Dallas. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice little diner next door open 24-7. Very nice breakfast served in hotel lobby.Front Desk staff is very professional, helpful, and friendly.

  • 5
    « Good location & friendly staff »

We were there for state fair. Very close to the state fair, good price, location is the key. Near to downtown and uptown. Will definitely stay here again next year. Onsite Restaurant is a plus. Open 24 hours.

    5
« Great stay and helpful staff »

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very comfortable and clean, the staff were always kind, courteous and helpful to any questions. I will definitely be coming back again when I come to Dallas for business.

    2
    « Time for a remodel »

Very few electrical outlets. No USB ports, Dingy room. Lights didn't work; GM was aware. Toilet set on an angle. Overpriced. Breakfast buffet closed early and there was no fresh food 1/2 hour before it was shut down. Other than this, it was a great place.

    5
    « GRATEFUL »

Everyone was great in their assistance and concern. The food was good, but at times it seemed to be a little cool. The couch was comfortable, but a little low for us to get out of and the bed was good. Thank you.

    4
    « Nice place »

Stayed for 2 nights in a suite. Suite has king bed, sofa and coffee table in main part of room and double bed, microwave and refrigerator in separate bedroom. Both rooms have tv. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Quite area with a small restraunt on site and a Jack in the Box across the street. Parking can be a challenge for full size pick ups and cars.

    5
    « Convenient »

The motel was very convenient to our meeting place. It was also close to downtown so it made it easy to visit museums and historical places in the downtown area. The Royal China restaurant was an excellent place to eat which we would rate a 10 if it were possible to rate it in this survey.

    3
« Good but needs improvement »

We stayed here for 4 days in early Oct. Our room was avg size with a king bed and a small bathroom with good counter space. The bed was comfy but very hot with the duvet cover (need to crank the AC for comfort). WIFI worked well as did the quiet AC. The place was fairly quiet even though it's next to a freeway. The room had a big safe and the fridge worked very well. The place is fairly old and needs work in some areas. There is no elevator so you need to carry your luggage if you get a room on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. The pool was nice and refreshing but it has very little shade and the towels are very small and thin. The area around the pool hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was lots of gravel around the entrance as well as in the pool. The area around the pool was dark and we noticed the bottom of our feet were fairly black. They had the parking lot tarred while we were there so parking was an issue as was the smell of tar seeping into the room. I suppose it has to be done at some point but it didn't look like it needed it for a while. There were a few restaurants within walking distance. It served its purpose but not sure we'd stay here again .

« Elizabeth & Best Western are GREAT! »

Since we took a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey, we were not sure if we would be able to visit our son in Dallas. We lost electricity & had many trees uprooted onto our animal shelters...dangerous & alot of work to do. When I called the hotel directly & explained our situation, Elizabeth told me I could wait until the last minute to decide on keeping the reservation or not & that we would not be charged for it. We couldn't see the end of the tunnel just yet, so we ended up canceling last minute. When power was restored & we finished cleaning up our land, we made another reservation. Elizabeth greeted us with a smile & kind words for us & I felt like I was at home. The 2 cleaning gals were sweet when I asked for more towels & another door sign. Little things that mean alot. We will continue to stay here from now on. The rooms are clean & I felt the area is safe. We ate at BuzzBrews Kitchen, a diner on the property & enjoyed our meal. Thank you Best Western & Elizabeth. She most definitely deserves to be recognized!

    2
« Not worth the money »

Room was smelly, half of the light and outlets didn't work. Breakfast at McDonald's is better. Parking sucks. Hotel badly needs updates. Smelly room and 1/2 of the lights and outlets didn't work. Room was very small and Way too overpriced even for the so called awesome area. Nothing was hardly open for 9;00 Saturday night.

    1
    « Smoking Hotel »

I admit it was my fault for assuming a hotel would not stink. Assuming that a hotel would NOT allow smoking. So when I booked a room and arrived to find out there was no non-smoking rooms available, I had to cancel out and find another hotel.

  • 4
    « Clean Rooms »

The room was very clean and the beds were great. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were very soft. But in the morning there was no hot water and we did not get the wake up call we requested.

    2
« Dumpy hotel in great location »

Below average Best Western. Dank smelly room. Dark. Worn linens and pillows. Fish smelly window unit that had two temperatures wet air and frigid air. However, the hotel is very convenient to museums and downtown attractions. Even though it's not very nice, it's more affordable than nearby hotels

    2
    « Mattress = Plywood / Unfriendly staff »

The stay at this hotel was so unpleasant, that I normally never write reviews, but I have to for this one. The mattress was so HARD, I felt like it was made of plywood, The pillows were like little popcorn pillows, too small and soft. The carpet looked old and worn and some of the baseboards were missing. The cleaning crew started knocking on our door around 10:30 and continued 2 more times before the posted noon check out. The food was disgusting!! The coffee was so strong, I thought about using it for motor oil. The eggs were powdery, the sausage was extremely greasy and the potatoes were burnt and cold! The eating area was so crowded, I took my food to my room to eat. We won't be staying there again.

    5
« Excellant hotel . Very nice and clean rooms. »

It was really pleasant stay. Love the level of service they provide . Staff was very friendly.I usually stay at this hotel during my visit to dallas. I always find this place very relaxing. Price is just right. I would recomond this hotel

    1
    « Falling apart hotel. »

The sink stoppers are broken. The tub stoppers are broken. Didnt have hot water during the night when trying to shower. The bed was comfy and it was a clean room. The toilet ran constantly and drove me nuts.

    2
    « One night -Don »

Hotel is old but room was clean. Location is the only benefit. On N Central Expressway (US 75). Close to downtown and Baylor hospital. Very noisy due to expressway . It is of moderate value ($101.74) including tax. If you need a close in location and not particular of the outside looks, it is OK. Hotel looks as if it was built in the 50's..

    4
    « No Frills...No Complaints »

When considering this location, know that it is no five star hotel. But it is every bit a 3+.....Your room includes flatscreen TV, refrigerator, microwave, desk/chair, sofa. The bed is one of the most comfortable I can remember. Friendly staff and complementary breakfast to start your day! Will have no problem returning to this location.

    5
« What More Do You Want? »

The rooms are clean; the wi-fi works great; the staff is courteous and knowledgeable; the location is fantastic if you are doing business downtown or visiting physicians associated with Baylor University. Unless you have an irrational urge to spend more just for ego's sake; stay at this motel!

    5
« QUALITY, VALUE, LOCATION, THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL! »

Whenever my travel plans include Dallas, I always stay at this Best Western. It is conveniently located and has excellent access to the freeway, so you can be anywhere within minutes. The value for the price can't be beat, and the icing on the cake is the incredible staff, the manager Elizabeth to be specific. Do yourself a favor and stay here, you won't regret it!

    5
    « Good Location. »

Everything was very nice. I loved the location everything was near by. Hotel staff was very helpful. Room was nice, cold and comfortable. Manager and breakfast lady was friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

    « 1rocker »

This was our first time staying here but it will not be our last. The room was spacious enough to moneuver around without bumping into one another. There was shopping, dining and gas within a stone's throw. There is also a 24 hr restaurant on property that has great food. We even had the pool to ourselves one day.I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

    « WTAL Mega Fest 2017 »

This was an overall great experience being at this hotel and 10 minutes away from the convention center. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. God Bless You! I enjoyed our breakfast and locations Thanks

    5
    « Great Service »

I had a great time at this hotel. It was clean and the place was well maintained. The property looked like it was completely updated and their are security cameras all around the property I felt safe and secure in my room. I also enjoyed the breakfast during the weekdays.

    1
    « HORRIBLE PLACE »

Checked in VERY LATE on a Friday night and we were assigned a smoking room with a king bed even though we did not request one. We were reassigned to a non-smoking room with two beds. Night clerk was very friendly and accommodating. Next day, we placed "do not disturb" sign on door as we had checked in really late. Approximately 11:00, we left room and went out to have lunch. Returned to room approximately 2:00 pm and discovered that room had not been cleaned. I called office and told them we needed our room cleaned and also informed the maid as she was in the room next door. The front desk clerk this time was very rude and told us that it was our fault since we had placed the sign on the door. When we returned to room at 10:00 pm, we found the room had not been touched. Night clerk said he could do nothing for s but did offer to bring us fresh towels. This hotel will NEVER get a single penny of my money again. The maids are inept and management is badly lacking.

    5
    « Dallas »

This hotel was conveniently located to all the places we wanted to go. We spent 5 nights here and have to say it was very comfortable. Hot and cold breakfast was served every morning with lots of good choices. If you can't find something to eat in the morning you are not trying. Pool was very refreshing after a hot day of sightseeing!!

    5
    « Loved it »

Dallas Best western cityplace inn has Great staff, Great service, over all i am very happy with my stay at this hotel..This is beautiful Hotel and i will visit them again. i wil recommend this place to my friends and family.

« Great Location. Excellent Hotel »

This location is best for access to downtown Dallas and the Uptown area. It is right by US-75. Close to nearby restaurants and bars. Great staff and friendly service. Rooms are cozy and clean. I enjoyed my stay.

    5
    « Comfy »

All accomodations were just as expected. Everyone at this hotel was extremely helpful. Rooms were clean and nice and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast options were good. Checkin checkout was smooth.

    3
    « Location »

Best Western Cityplace Inn is well located in the Medical Center area and that is its best feature. Rooms are clean and maintained, however, decor is dated and could use an upgrade. Breakfast provided was very good and the variety of item offered was better than most facilities in this price range.

    5
    « Good »

I always have a good stay at best western. This is why I always try to find a best western near where my event is . It is clean and the breakfast is awesome. My husband and I look forward to best western. We even went swimming at the pool on one trip. It is well worth the money.

  • 1
    « Don't waste your money »

Dirty room. The floor had not been mopped in quite awhile. We wiped the floor with a towel and it came up brown and filthy. Bug infested. Mildew smelling rooms. Disinterested desk clerks. Not up to the usually high standards of Best Western.

    5
« Perfect for quick business travel »

Went to Dallas on business. After meetings went to the local bar a block or so away from BW. Chose Best Western for convenience and price. Very clean establishment, clean room, bathroom/shower clean and in order, fresh smelling sheets and offered free toiletries that I forgot to pack. Very comfortable stay. will use again at the next event in Dallas, TX.

    5
« Had a minor issue which was taken care of immediately »

So I was in dallas and I decided to stay at this hotel. Firstly this hotel is at a great location very close to downtown dallas and uptown. The staff is courteous and made me feel welcomed. During my stay I has an issue with the toilet flush. I called the front desk to complain and was not expecting the maintenance guy to show up in like 1 minute. the problem was resolved in less than 5 mins. apart from that the rooms were tidy and the price was a little expencive for BW but I guess its the location. Overall a good stay and I can say I will return back if I visit dallas again

    2
    « Smoking Allowed »

I booked online and did not notice that I reserved a smoking room. And as the staff did not have any non-smoking rooms left, I had to cancel out and go elsewhere. I'm sorry, it may be my fault for not noticing I chose a smoking room, but I find it ridiculous that this place even allows smoking in their rooms at all.

    2
    « To avoid »

We spent one night This hôtel was very old and very old fashioned The bedroom had an old carpet The toilets didn't work. Outside there was a bad smell due to the neighborood Only plus is the breakfast which was correct

    3
    « Needs Improvement »

I went to the hotel (Best Western Cityplace Inn) on Saturday (4-22-17) for a concert. When I arrived, there was a man who was at the front desk saying to me "If you're paying with cash, You have to make a deposit to get a room. If You're paying with a credit and/or debit, You don't need to make a deposit". That is a waste of money and it is pointless. I called the number on the phone to reserve a room and it was $158 plus tax. I would say that's expensive to pay for the room. Whoever it was that was on the front desk on Saturday(4-22-17), needs some serious training.

« Two Nights in Dallas »

Good location. Friendly reception staff.Room clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast limited choice and small seating area. Quite quiet even though it was close to major route into city. Convenient eatery on same plot.

    5
« Great Bang for the Buck »

Clean, great staff and ideal location. Recommend it highly regardless of it being a super bargain! Polite staff, clean rooms and comfortable amenities with a really fast WiFi setup! You can't go wrong staying here!

    3
« Ugly made pretty. An incorrect room reservation was to have put me in a smoking room. Front desk did modify »

Reservation showed my reservation to be in a smoking room. I absolutely detest smoking. Initially, front desk insisted I accept the smoking room. I calmly insisted there were non-smoking rooms & of like to change, please. Front desk clerk finally acquiesed, set me in non-smoking. There was no employee on duty for early check-out, no access to food/coffee, but there were numerous, highly personable hookers, who had spurn sense of humor

    « A night in Dallas »

Average... Clean room, but had an old stuffy smell. Stains on chair. Bed slept comfortably, but not supper comfy. Carpet needs replacing. Buzzbrews Kitchen, the restaurant next door was convenient. Food was really good!

    « Great vacation »

Very friendly staff and very clean. The breakfast was great especially considering I price. No I will highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. I will definitely be returning. No complaints from me!

« Best in price range. »

For this price range, this place is great. Of the 4 budget hotels we've stayed in during the past year, this was the best (3 were in Dallas). It's literally 5 minutes from SMU (our actual destination) and less than 10 minutes from downtown, with all types of restaurants and shopping close by. Linen and bed were clean and comfortable, and everything functioned properly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was definitely the best we'd seen and the breakfast area was very nice. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. We'll be booking here from now on when we visit my daughter at SMU.

    3
« Decent Place for Short Stay »

The hotel is a bit tired and old-school but OK. Walkways to rooms are outside, and that is where the guests tend to smoke. It was a decent location for visiting SMU or the George W. Bush Library and Museum.

    3
« Ok to be there here »

Really close to the office. But do not expect a WOW experience. The pool was closed the entire time, no detergent dispenser in the laundry area, making it kinda useless. They do not offer bottled water in the room.

    « worst customer service,no upgrade for a platinum member,no member recognition,not safe, »

I did not get a upgrade although I am a platinum member when I asked the girl who checked me in she said she did not have the authorization to do that. she did not know how to use my point. the couple we were traveling with got their car hit and another car was broken into. the breakfast was nasty, cold. the housekeeeper did not want to give us clean towels on our second night stay..I will not be returning or recomanding this hotel most of all because I know I should have got a upgrade and member recognition.

    « Downtown Dallas »

Very nice accommodations near the Bush Library, our main focus in Dallas. Nice restaurant next door. Also fast food across the street. Nice variety for breakfast. Comfortable room. Helpful with directions to the Library and our exit back to Interstate.

« Do not stay here »

The images that were on hotels.com, where I booked the hotel, were of a completely different hotel. This nest western looked completely different. Very run down. It was like they purchased the sketchiest hotel possible and just through the best western sign on the building. The breakfast area was about the size of a small living room. We had to wait until people were done with their food before we could even sit down to eat breakfast. The breakfast was minimal and the pastries were hard and tasted stale. I didn't even want to try the eggs lol. The second night we were given "fresh" towels were the house keepers came by earlier that day ... well they weren't very fresh because we found multiple bugs (two different kinds) in the towels. When we called the front desk to request new towels, the guy at the front told us that if we wanted fresh towels that we would have to come and get them because he was the ONLY employee on property. Also the couch in our room was covered in stains. We didn't formally check out because I requested an automatic check out (i.e. they would e-mail me the receipt) and I still haven't received an e-mail with an itemized receipt. It was way over priced for what you got during your stay... Just don't bother staying here.

    « Great stay »

I recently attended a business meeting in Dallas and stayed at this hotel. It did not disappoint me. The room was clean. The staff was accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall it was a great stay.

    5
« Always happy to come back here »

The staff are what makes this Best Western great! They are all courteous and professional, especially their manager Elizabeth. The location is also a plus. It is located just off North Central Expressway, close to downtown Dallas, the Uptown district, and Knox-Henderson. Additionally, they have free wifi, a complimentary breakfast, free parking and a swimming pool.

    4
    « Friendly staff with a smile »

My experience was great. Room was clean with clean crisp bed linen. The 10 minutes from downtown Dallas. Good WiFi, towels for four and great breakfast. Two stories and the manager offer me a choice of up or downstairs which was very helpful. Was able to park right in from of my room.

« Good Clean Stay. Warm Helpful Thoughtful. »

The facilities were great. Everything was well kept and maintained. The staff was warm, respectful and professional. The manager was extremely thoughtful and provided direct support. Location was walking distance from the free trolley and a yummy restaurant.

    « Alright place »

Nice place honestly. Didn't get a great deal in the price. Beds weren't that comfortable. Big disappointment. Was pretty busy so it was a little noisy at times during the night. Wish the hall was sound proof. Would probably stay again.

« Near city center, good spot for some days in Big D »

The hotel is located a 10 munites divre from city center, a good location to save some money and still be relateviley near to attractions. It's the typical American motel, two-storied, with ample parking space and a swimming pool. The room had all that's needed: wi-fi connection, courtesy kit, tv, coffee machine and a comfortable bed. We didn't have any issues with any of the amenities, and the room was fairly clean. Reception and check-in were smooth. Breakfast is OK, they have both cold and hot items, starting early in the morning. The breakfast room is part of the reception and is a bit small.

    « Surprisingly good »

The Best Western Cityplace Inn was a pleasant place to stay. We were a bit leery of the old-school configuration of all the doors opening to the outdoors, but the rooms were in good repair, the bedding was comfortable, staff was really friendly, breakfast was good. The location was also really handy--right there on 75. With the highway just beside us, sharing a parking lot with a restaurant/bar that is open late, and rooms that open to the outside, I was expecting lots of noise, but we weren't bothered by any of it. (We weren't there on the weekend, so don't know if that makes any difference.) Final note, if you're trying to decide between BW Cityplace and BW Market Center, choose Cityplace. We stayed in the other two weeks before, and like Cityplace better.

    4
    « Great location »

We had a king suite that we shared with my cousin. Quiet rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast was good, plentiful, and varied. Stayed for 2 nights while going to the fair. Easy .7 mile walk to the DART station. $5 a head to ride trains and buses all day. Can't be beat! Never used big city mass transit before, found it very easy to figure out and use. Nice friendly people at the hotel and all over town.

    5
    « perfect location/Best staff »

This was our 3rd hotel/motel on our trip and the expectations we had were not high. The breakfasts provided were hot and the selection was great. The location was terrific. We walked to different place and our drives were not long at all. Far enough from the city to be quiet - close enough to not spend the day in transit. The staff treated us like old friends and our room was so clean. It was a large room There were a few young men staying there - the lady recognized how tired we were from our drive and said she was putting us in a quiet area in case they were in and out. Going in the pool in October was a huge bonus!! THANK YOU BW staff, you were so helpful with directions, assistance, advise & Kindness. Geraldine & Darren

    « Won't stay here again »

Room wasn't cleaned on the 3rd day and when I complained the front desk person said they last checked the room for availability to clean it, at 10 am. We had left at 10:30. When I complained to the manager the next day....she said they had last checked at 1:30. Somebody was lying!! The manager did not seem overly interested in the problem. My money would be on the manager trying to gloss it over and not accept responsibility. Wouldn't stay there again!!!!!! Also, had ill-fitting sheets on the bed and a problem with a carpet tack that protruded enough to hurt when you stepped on it.

    « Best Western »

Perfect place to stay when visiting Austin. Great amenities, friendly service, reasonable rate, more than ample breakfast, attractive decor, conveniently located for visiting the sites and exploring the city. We would happily stay there again.

    4
« Great value not too far from Downtown Dallas »

This hotel is a great value if you are looking to stay near downtown Dallas. It's really close the nice Uptown area, and not too far from the hip and artsy Deep Area. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable.

    4
« Good place for us »

Enjoyed our stay here. If you are prepared to walk it is possible to get the DART train into the City. Very easy journey and saved worrying about parking. We also walked to the Monk Pub that was recommended by reception although parking would not be an issue there. I also appreciated the soya milk, so thank you to whoever provided that. Breakfast was good. Definitely would recommend.

« Unplanned night in Dallas »

This was a last minute booking when we found out we were staying in Dallas the other night. Good value, great location, really nice swimming pool, best internet on our trip. First American chain motel that I have been to that had soy milk at breakfast - thank you! Also the blankets were good - most motels now use thick quilts in duvets and when it's 100 degrees outside, they are ridiculous - we did not need to chill the room to 50 in order to sleep. Pillows were a bit too 'full' some feather or flatter options would be nice. If I ever come back to Dallas, I would stay here again. Very convenient to get downtown without paying downtown prices.

    5
    « Great Value »

We usually stay at 4-5 star hotels, so had a little trepidation about staying at the BW Cityplace. It turned out to be EXTREMELY clean, comfortable, and a very good value. In-room internet and hot breakfast included in very reasonable daily rate.

    5
    « Get Real 2016 Convention »

There are friendly staff members that are willing to assist when needed. There was clean room that was made up daily during our stay. Amazing breakfast options for everyone. They have at the front desk to-go bags to grab and go when you are on a timeline. The location is close to the trolley which is a 10 minute walk down the the sidewalk and across the freeway. Super clean and very affordable.

    5
« Not much to look at »

Don't let the exterior fool you, this is a great place. For me, it was in the perfect location to the attractions I wanted to visit. The room we had was clean and a fair size. We stayed four nights and encountered most of the staff, all were very friendly and helpful. (The front counter staff really seemed happy to see us and eager to help... kudos)

    5
« Great Value, Great Room, Great Service »

Friendly helpful staff, clean room, very comfortable good bed, good free breakfast, excellent restaurant attached. Had not originally planned to stay here, but as a colleague who was attending the same event I was in town for recommended it, I tried it and was thoroughly impressed.

    5
« Great for Seeing Dallas »

I was only there a short time but found it ideal for my visit to Dallas. The room was very clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. The pool was an extra I was not expecting. And the free breakfast was also nice. The location is easy enough to use the DART to go downtown and a Target just round the corner.

    5
    « Nice Surprise »

Although I believe the hotel is older, the rooms have been upgraded and look great. Buildings and grounds were well maintained. Staff was helpful and attentive. Pool was a bonus. Excellent location if you're looking to stay just outside of the city.

    3
« Not horrible... but not great. »

Beds are ok. Price is great. Rooms stay nice and cool. The restaurant next door made the stay worth it. The desk clerk was hard to find at check in. Front door was even locked at 2 in the afternoon. There were ants in the bathroom. (Not just one or 2 if anything touched the floor ants attacked it) The housekeeper walked into our room unannounced using master key. The next morning the same desk clerk we couldn't find at check in was here we told him there was no more coffee and he very rudely said "well is there no housekeeper around" and went back to his phone without any type of good customer service.

    4
« Clean and confortable rooms »

Near downtown, confortable beds and the best price, i will come again. The included breakfast is fine and the people at the front desk is very kind. I truelly recommend the hotel. The uber service arrive very quickly, less than ten minutes. Need some more?

    1
    « Dirty »

The room was so dirty. The sheets were changed supposedly but they didnt seem to be washed. I took a shower, walked to my bed and my feet were black on the bottom. The sheets slipped all over the bed. The couch was yuck. Just dirty all around.

« Great Location and Restaurant Open 24/7 »

Pretty much the title says it all. If you're staying in uptown and don't mind walking 50 feet, there's a Buzz Brews open 24/7 with excellant food. Breakfast is always served and they have bunt cake. <-- Yeah!!

    2
« Great location but noisy, old and poor value »

As others have mentioned, the location of this hotel is great. But, it's overshadowed by the fact that it borders two noisy streets, is old and in need of updates, and the quality of the bed and pillow leave a lot to be desired. Breakfast, though free, is just ok. Went to check out and stood there waiting for the person at the desk to acknowledge me, then acted surprised that I needed something. So many hotels in Dallas at this price range....I'm thinking there are much better ones to select.

    5
« We had a great time, service was fantastic. Great location, anything we needed or go to was close by. »

We had a great time, from the room itself to the daily breakfast, to the maid service, all top notch. Also the manager Chris was awesome. There was an incident on Wednesday June 30th 2016 at around 5pm, where there was an unknown male in the swimming pool that appeared to be homeless. I called the front desk, explained to Chris what I saw and he immediately went to the pool and got this male out of there. To know that he cared for the security of me and my kids made me feel safe and that he took the time to take care of my concerns.

« Great Location, Helpful Staff »

This is an excellent hotel for a short stay if you are working in Uptown or Downtown Dallas. Located on major freeway and near Subway/Rail Station with a fun 24 hour restaurant on site. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet with a VERY helpful staff. Rate is comparable or less than other similar hotels nearby. Has hot tub suites that are good for couples.

« Best Western Cityplace, Dallas »

This is our second trip staying at this hotel. We really like the location for visiting Dallas. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool is nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good.

« Wonderful front desk staff »

Stayed at the hotel for an extended period (2 weeks) and found the front desk staff to be exceptionally friendly and very helpful with good suggestions for food and other necessary venues within proximity to the hotel.

« Great place, close to downtown. »

Great location to and from downtown, nice staff, love the city. Rooms very clean. Great service. Not far from convention center, good room service, good breakfast and 24 hour restaurant next to hotel. Thank you.

« Outstanding value for money »

Slightly older motel that is in excellent shape and is very neatly maintained. Rooms nice, furnshings good, everything very clean. Parking is a bit cramped but is adequate. Downtown Dallas about 5 min away by car. Service friendly. Great alternative to much more expensive downtown hotels.

« great staff close to down town »

everyone is so nice place is clean and close to downtown Fast on the freeway can get any were great room service Plus a restaurant open 24 hours I got the suite came with a king bed sleep sofa and one full bed had ice box microwave Internet was free need to have more plug in for cell phones and computers very quite Right next to the freeway by a jack-in the box the have a free breakfast too

    4
« Convenient and good value »

You can get here on the metro from the airport, and avoid the long taxi queue (and the deceitful taxi drivers!) at the airport. A 10 minute walk north from Cityplace metro - reasonable walk, proper pavements (sidewalks) and pedestrian crossing lights all the way, and some shade. Cityplace metro has long escalators, but has lifts (elevators) if you've got luggage. Hotel itself just fine, with a nice little pool, and a proper breakfast. There's a diner-type small restaurant right opposite the hotel entrance, so you don't have to go far if too tired to think about where to go to eat.

    « average »

Friendly and service oriented staff. Decent location. Just an average hotel with and average breakfast. Rooms average. Definitely not a Best Western Plus.Nearby parks and near downtown where Kennedy was killed.

    4
    « Convenience & Breakfast »

Positives - convenient location - great breakfast, in particular the greek yogurt - 24 hour Buzzbrew restaurant - Spinach Strawberry salad with strawberry vinaigrette was yummy. Negatives - Upstairs noisy during rain, also can hear traffic in highway at night - Fitness center very minimal - no strength equipment - No elevators (that I was made aware of)

    5
    « Favorable experience »

Clean rooms, adequate and fresh breakfast, and nice staff made our multi-day stay very pleasant. We have stayed in this motel before and will do so again in any travel to central Dallas. Indeed, its location makes getting around in Dallas easy, including travel to Dallas' downtown attractions.

    4
« Excellent, except for MOLD smell »

We keep returning to this hotel because it is inexpensive, it has free internet, a coffee maker, fridge and microwave, a really nice free breakfast, and it is located only 2 miles from the SMU campus. The only problem? Several of the rooms have a MOLD smell to them, so bad that clean clothes retain the smell after staying there, and must be washed to eradicate the odor. Otherwise, the PERFECT place to stay while visiting the Highland Park/SMU area.

    5
« Park Cities' Hidden Gem »

3rd or 4th Stay at this hidden gem of a motel which I really like for its convenience to SMU, The Old Monk pub, Knox-Henderson, and its pricetag. Nice rooms. Decent pool. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff.

« The Best keeps getting better »

My wife and a dear friend of ours rented 2 rooms at the BW Cityplace Inn, where we stay at least once per quarter for medical appointments I have at a nearby hospital. Our friend needed a ride to the airport the same morning I had my appointment, so we got him to come along and get a room next door. Check in was fast and courteous as always. We requested an extra blanket and pillow and were quickly given them. The rooms themselves were extraordinarily clean-also as always, and all appliances and plumbing and air conditioning was in perfect working order. BW Cityplace recently put new carpet and laminate flooring in the rooms, which looked great and is just another example of the high quality care that is put into the hotel. The pool and grounds were well manicured and clean. We liked the rooms, the beds and bed clothes were really clean and comfortable. We've never had an uncomfortable night at the hotel, as I always say in these reviews, BW Cityplace Inn is a home-away-from-home for us. The service never disappoints and the nice quiet rooms always alow a good nights rest for us. I've written a few reviews on BW there and all have been positive, and it's all deserved the high marks. If you have need to stay at a hotel, the BW Cityplace will fit nicely. Its a fine place to call home

« Great location to visit downtown, uptown and the burbs »

We walked to the McKinney Ave trolley to ride through Uptown into downtown Dallas. Also easy access to freeways to drive out to the speedway or up to the Galleria. Walking distance to cool little dining area on Henderson Ave. Room was very clean and beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast choice was good although seating is limited. Only downside was being so close to the freeway was noisy and being a large motor inn there were people coming and going at all hours of the night. Overall a very good stay.

    5
« Great for the price »

It's in a central location, and has always been safe and clean. The restaurant next door is great for late night eats. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I recommend this hotel to everyone I know, and it's the only place I'll stay in Dallas.

    4
« Nice Overnight in the City »

Economical choice if you are attending an event in Uptown. Cute, clean hotel. Pretty average 2-story layout. Pleasant front desk staff. Buzzbrews Restaurant is right next door--they are open 24 hours and serve excellent food. Nice little swimming pool, too.

« Happy camper right here. »

My friends and I rented rooms there last weekend. I was very impressed. I would recommend it to anyone. The room was very clean. The employee's were very friendly. We took Uber from there. The whole experience was awesome.

    « Great location!!! 7.5/10 »

The hotel is good, in a great location and across the street from a 7-11. You're about 8 minutes from downtown Dallas (could be 30+ minutes, depending on traffic) and the place in not very expensive. Would recommend without hesitation!

    5
    « Good stay »

Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. They let us check in early. The breakfast tasted good but was not hot enough. Everything else was great. Clean and nice rooms. No problems. Would stay again!

    « Thin walls, noise... »

Everything about my stay was acceptable, except the noise level. Unfortunately I had my next door neighbor fighting and crying until 4am. This literally was waking me up during the night once I finally got to sleep. So perhaps the walls are a little thin....but this fighting went on way too long. I expected a calming stay, as this was the most expensive hotel I booked during the trip in a good location.... I had a quieter experience at Days Inn and Quality Inn.

    4
« Dallas Best Western City Place »

These facilities met my expectations for the price and location. Did seem to have a noisy parking lot at night. Could hear noises coming from adjacent rooms a little more than I've experience at other hotels, but did not cause much concern.

« Clean enough but needs TLC!! »

I stayed at this Best Western while traveling with 3 friends. We all travel quite a bit and had the same general opinion of this hotel. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable but the overall appearance of this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Our rooms were quite small and unattractive. A little bit of TLC would go a long way. The morning breakfast was Best Western's normal fare but their dining area is quite small. We have all stayed at Best Westerns around the country and felt this one was sub par.

    5
« Excellent hotel but request a room away from road »

Excellent value hotel well located short driving distance close to downtown Dallas BUT be aware that the rooms close to main road ARE somewhat noisy. Not outrageous - but a bit irritating if you are not a sound sleeper type person. Ask for a room right at the back.

    5
    « Perfect »

Perfect for our needs. Great price and a great location. We were within a couple miles of Deep Ellum and McKinney Ave. Our room was newly remodeled, nice big and clean. We didn't eat the free breakfast, so no comment on that. Front desk staff was super friendly. We tried buzz brews on site, definitely different but good. We would def return!

« Wait an hour to get my room that smelled like puke. »

When I got to the check in counter, after paying they told me to wait just 20 minutes to get into my room as they were finishing some last minute remodeling. I didn't have a problem with that so I went and got my luggage gathered and ready to bring up to the room. After the 20 minute wait my girlfriend and I grabbed our luggage and went to the room. Before getting to the room, the manager stopped me and told me it was going to be another 20 minutes because they weren't finished yet. I began to get annoyed as I've already paid at this point. She said that she could take 20% off my bill and that she was sorry about the wait. After a total of an hour waiting, I finally get into the room. The moment I walk in all I can smell is puke, There was a wet spot on the carpet and that is the only spot where the smell came from. On top of all of this, the parking outside was constantly full as there is a diner in the parking lot as well. For the price of the King-Jacuzzi non smoking suite I suggest staying somewhere like The W or the Omni, This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I highly recommend staying away.

    5
« Great Staff and room »

Leti was great at check in and helping me set up a way to get around Dallas. I was going to use Uber and she put me onto Lyft. We don't have either in my area. Lyft was great a big help from the Leti. The room was great and the breakfast was well stocked and lots to chose from. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. It is just off a major highway into Dallas. 4 ;places to eat with in walking distance 2 fast food 2 service ones.

    4
« Economical lodgings in the right location »

I stay here regularly because it is within walking distance of my daughter's Uptown apartment. The rooms are always clean, the staff is consistently friendly, and the free breakfast is a plus. The last time I stayed there in February 2016 some of the rooms were being refurbished. I will look forward to seeing the results.

    3
« Great Location & close to downtown. »

We stayed here for 2 nights. We came to town and chose this place due to its close proximity to the American airlines arena as we were here to see AC/DC. Motel was nice and clean and had a mini fridge which came in handy. They were remodeling some of the rooms, but was no big deal for us. Good place to eat breakfast (Buzzbrews) which is on the same property. The outdoor pool looked very nice. We will probably stay here again the next time we come back to dallas.

    2
« Too expensive for low end hotel »

It's right on the freeway and very loud. All entrances to the rooms are outside. The ice machine didn't work. The vending machine was out of water and sprite; only had cokes. The breakfast area only has 4 tables; very small.

    3
« Good for the price »

It's close to downtown, seems to be at a safe location, and right beside the original Buzzbrews kitchen (grab a meal there, great food!). During our stay the hotel was undergoing renovations, and we could have done without the noise, but understand it has to happen sometime. It was an overall enjoyable stay, and we will probably return because it's one of the few affordable hotels in Dallas close to the city center. The only complaint was the bed/pillows/sheets. They're not great quality and we found ourselves missing our own bed, but they're good enough to get by for a few nights. Hotel staff was also helpful, we had a neighbor causing a disturbance and I called the front desk to ask them if they could politely have them quiet down. It was taken care of within 2 minutes. Greatly appreciated!!

    5
    « Great Location »

Located short distance from great food and shopping. Located near major medical facilities. Current renovation isn't bothersome and it will be even better when completed. All employees were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really great. Room rates ($85 for king bed handicap) is very reasonable for the area. We'll stay again when in southern Dallas.

    « Excellent Stay »

Beautiful room, close to where I needed to be and a very friendly and helpful Staff. Breakfast had a wide assortment of choices and having a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker was quite nice! Staff was helpful in assisting me with transportation as well as extending my stay due to work. A lot of college age students the first night so the parking lot was busy and noisy when I got back but once in my room I could not hear them.

« Decent hotel, less than optimal environment »

The good: clean room, comfortable mattress, pleasant staff, eccentric diner on premises with interesting food The bad: Said diner pipes out tinny music via outdoor speaker, which travels into your room. If not for my earplugs and a white noise website I found and played all night from my laptop, I would not have been able to sleep. So: I appreciate the management's work to make this a decent hotel, but I will not return. I felt only somewhat safe as a single female business traveller.

Vegas was easy--THIS was FUN! And the pool was easy to see kids would love--busy area, but fun to see and near shops/train at City Place--GOT to go--Easy in and out-POSSIBLY working at Bush Presidential Center near by and go to see it if you love FUN, a little pricey, but interesting and take the train right up to Mockingbird station for a quick ride on the shuttle to get there--Can't wait to go back for the Hurricane Katrina exhibit--too crowded when I was there, though odd my teacher out west saw it coming, but never said anything, but it is inevitable!

Average in regards to age of building, furnishings, decorations. Room felt very dark even with all the lights on. The room was clean the staff was friendly. The restaurant next door was great! Open 24 hours serves great coffee!! I had soup for dinner that was great. At breakfast the restaurant was full of locals so I am sure it was tasty also.

    « Extremely clean. »

While this is an older hotel and the mattress wasn't the best, the cleanliness of the room and how friendly the staff was more than compensate. The bathtub, sink, and toilet gleamed. There was no mildew. The carpet looked relatively new and was clean. The woodwork was spotless. This is a great basic hotel that is fairly priced for being in such a good location in a large metro area. I didn't realize that all the rooms opened to the outside with no elevator. I requested a downstairs room and was cheerfully given one.

will definatley stay at this hotel again. Bed/pillows were super comfy and shower head was actually over our heads!! Room was spotless and there were NO bugs! Lovely finishes and overall a comfy/ affordable place. Bonus there is a 24x7 restaurant in the parking lot if the free contintental breakfast doesn't do it for you - however - there are hot item choices on the free breakfast buffet too.

    « Pleasantly Surprised - Great hotel »

The pictures on the internet don't do this place justice. The room was super clean, best bed I think I have ever had in a hotel and the pillow too! Nice breakfast buffet was provided. Employees were very helpful. My only concern is the ventilation system. It will not allow you to run the fan, it is on an automatic setting. I had to put it on heat and set the thermostat at 67 since it got so hot in there. If you are a light sleeper traffic might be a concern. It didn't really bother me. Nice little restaurant on the property.

« Excellent Central Location, Clean and Safe with Excellent Value »

My title says it all. Previously a Days Inn that I used for years for week-long business trips that deteriorated to the point that I refused to stay. Now completely renovated. Our single (king bed) room was nicely furnished and appointed for business travel. Doubles will be cramped.

« Great Best Western in central Dallas »

This is a good motel, reasonably priced. It is an old building and the rooms are small, but it has been nicely remodeled and is very clean. The bed was comfortable. The one minor problem we had was taken care of immediately. Breakfast was pretty good considering the small space. We will almost certainly stay again.

    « Nice stay! »

Clean, comfortable and convenient to the Bush Library where I was attending an event. Very pleasant staff. I had a nice stay for a very reasonable cost. I recommend this hotel to business travelers on a budget.

« Budget motel on highway »

Stayed here for 3 nights in early October. We were told we had a 'handicapped' room, although we didn't require one but this just meant we were on the ground floor and the bathroom was large. The staff were not the most helpful or friendliest. When we first checked in, we were an hour or so early. They had no problem giving us our room straight away but the cleaners and the receptionist were having their lunch in the reception area. We stood and waited for a while. They acknowledged us but didn't really do anything. We felt like we were disturbing them and should leave! The receptionist then came over and checked us in. We asked her a few questions but she just nodded her head and and carried on typing. The breakfast is also served in this reception area. A lot of reviews saying that the breakfast here is great but we found it to be the same as most other motels (waffles, bagels, muffins, fruit, cereal, orange juice and coffee) with added sausages, potatoes and scrambled eggs, but on all three occasions of eating breakfast, the eggs were watery and the sausages were hard. No problems with the cleanliness of this hotel. Location is just off a freeway and there are a few chain restaurants and a 7 eleven around the hotel. Noise from the freeway wasn't a problem for us. About a 15-20 minute walk to uptown but plenty of taxis available. Overall, not bad for a budget motel

    « Big Disappointment »

The hotel had pretty good reviews and the price was right so thought I would try it out. I was alone on a business trip and didn't realize that the hotel had an outside corridor. This made me very uncomfortable as the area is a bit dark and lonely at night. The room was also rundown and the carpet was very dirty. Make sure you bring your flip-flops! The restaurant is separate from the hotel and is a 24 hour breakfast and coffee place. The food was tasty, but not very healthy. There was no bar. AND the included morning breakfast is not served in the restaurant but just off the hotel lobby. It was very average. The scrambled eggs felt like they were powdered....not very good. But you could make your own waffle, have cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, etc. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

« Good value for money and good location »

It is very close to the centre of Dallas, with easy access from the Central Expressway. Very clean, good breakfast, both hot and cold. The bed is superb. Very efficient and nice staff. Good free WiFi connection. Free parking. I spent 3 nights and will come back.

« Good price for location, close to 6th floor museum. »

Clean room, good check in. Right off highway so a little noisy. Only had one place to park with our trailer. Glad no one else needed it. Good breakfast place right next door. Less than 5 miles to 6th floor museum which I also recommend.

    « Smoking Room. »

The only room available was a smoking room. When I opened the door, it smelled like a smoker had just walked out. A little febreeze would work wonders. Other than that, decent size room. Close to a lot to do in Dallas. Staff was great. Parking lot is very small.

« Clean, Friendly Staff, and convenient location »

I stayed three nights and the room was an okay size but had a large bathroom. This is more of a ?motel? in the sense that the entry door faces the parking lot (versus a hotel where there's a hallway). The room is a little dated, but I didn't spend too much time in there as I just needed a clean place to sleep-- too much to see in Dallas! Upon checking in, the staff was friendly and courteous. I only had fruit during breakfast so I can't comment on the food, but there's a 24 hour diner that shares the parking lot in case you want something else. This hotel is right off Freeway 75, which is convenient for getting on/off the freeway. However, if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs because you'll most likely hear the ambient noise of traffic and the freeway. It's about 20 miles from AT&T stadium (NFL- Cowboys) and Rangers Ballpark (MLB- Rangers). You're slightly above the downtown area, and about 5 miles from the JFK museum/grassy knoll and about 5 miles from the Texas State Fair/Cotton Bowl. There's a Target nearby, too.

    « Great location. »

This was just what we needed while we were in Dallas. While it is an older hotel, it had all the amenities that we needed. It was clean and quiet in our room. Nothing fancy, but it was nice. I liked that I could go 4 blocks and be on the Katy Trail where I jogged every morning. It was easy getting in and out of Downtown Dallas, as well as close to SMU and other sites we wanted to visit. It was perfect for our needs!

I really want to thank the staff at this hotel. They helped us with finding out more about the Dart in Dallas and other ways that we could save on the State Fair. The convenience of the hotel to State Fair was great and the amenities were also very nice and the rooms clean. I would stay here again.

« Good value for your money »

For the price, this hotel is very good. Close to everything. Clean rooms. Nice staff. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. The pool is small, but not many people were using it during our stay. Would stay there again if I were in Dallas.

It was clean. It was small. It was a little musky smelling. Rooms were not roomy. Location was excellent and the staff was super nice. We loved the restaurant next door which makes free breakfast obsolete. A little noisy but not too bad. Needs updating. Price was average. I would not stay again unless updated. Too many other choices.

« Good for our needs »

The room had a definite mold smell coming from the HVAC unit. On our second (last) night, we did not use the AC because of the smell and the affect it had on our sleep. I'm using Best Western because I have accumulated points during my business travel but next time in Dallas we will try another location.

    « Older Motel »

This is an older motel in the center of Dallas. It has had some updates, but could us a few more. The staff were pleasant and as accommodating as they were able to be, as they were fully booked. The beds were very comfortable, they had refrigerators and coffee makers in the rooms. Bathrooms were small, but updated. The only thing not updated were the a/c units, they were not central, but under the window units and were loud cutting on and off all night.
