    « Friendly staff with a smile »

My experience was great. Room was clean with clean crisp bed linen. The 10 minutes from downtown Dallas. Good WiFi, towels for four and great breakfast. Two stories and the manager offer me a choice of up or downstairs which was very helpful. Was able to park right in from of my room.

« Good Clean Stay. Warm Helpful Thoughtful. »

The facilities were great. Everything was well kept and maintained. The staff was warm, respectful and professional. The manager was extremely thoughtful and provided direct support. Location was walking distance from the free trolley and a yummy restaurant.

    « Alright place »

Nice place honestly. Didn't get a great deal in the price. Beds weren't that comfortable. Big disappointment. Was pretty busy so it was a little noisy at times during the night. Wish the hall was sound proof. Would probably stay again.

« Near city center, good spot for some days in Big D »

The hotel is located a 10 munites divre from city center, a good location to save some money and still be relateviley near to attractions. It's the typical American motel, two-storied, with ample parking space and a swimming pool. The room had all that's needed: wi-fi connection, courtesy kit, tv, coffee machine and a comfortable bed. We didn't have any issues with any of the amenities, and the room was fairly clean. Reception and check-in were smooth. Breakfast is OK, they have both cold and hot items, starting early in the morning. The breakfast room is part of the reception and is a bit small.

    « Surprisingly good »

The Best Western Cityplace Inn was a pleasant place to stay. We were a bit leery of the old-school configuration of all the doors opening to the outdoors, but the rooms were in good repair, the bedding was comfortable, staff was really friendly, breakfast was good. The location was also really handy--right there on 75. With the highway just beside us, sharing a parking lot with a restaurant/bar that is open late, and rooms that open to the outside, I was expecting lots of noise, but we weren't bothered by any of it. (We weren't there on the weekend, so don't know if that makes any difference.) Final note, if you're trying to decide between BW Cityplace and BW Market Center, choose Cityplace. We stayed in the other two weeks before, and like Cityplace better.

    « Great location »

We had a king suite that we shared with my cousin. Quiet rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast was good, plentiful, and varied. Stayed for 2 nights while going to the fair. Easy .7 mile walk to the DART station. $5 a head to ride trains and buses all day. Can't be beat! Never used big city mass transit before, found it very easy to figure out and use. Nice friendly people at the hotel and all over town.

    « perfect location/Best staff »

This was our 3rd hotel/motel on our trip and the expectations we had were not high. The breakfasts provided were hot and the selection was great. The location was terrific. We walked to different place and our drives were not long at all. Far enough from the city to be quiet - close enough to not spend the day in transit. The staff treated us like old friends and our room was so clean. It was a large room There were a few young men staying there - the lady recognized how tired we were from our drive and said she was putting us in a quiet area in case they were in and out. Going in the pool in October was a huge bonus!! THANK YOU BW staff, you were so helpful with directions, assistance, advise & Kindness. Geraldine & Darren

    « Won't stay here again »

Room wasn't cleaned on the 3rd day and when I complained the front desk person said they last checked the room for availability to clean it, at 10 am. We had left at 10:30. When I complained to the manager the next day....she said they had last checked at 1:30. Somebody was lying!! The manager did not seem overly interested in the problem. My money would be on the manager trying to gloss it over and not accept responsibility. Wouldn't stay there again!!!!!! Also, had ill-fitting sheets on the bed and a problem with a carpet tack that protruded enough to hurt when you stepped on it.

    « Best Western »

Perfect place to stay when visiting Austin. Great amenities, friendly service, reasonable rate, more than ample breakfast, attractive decor, conveniently located for visiting the sites and exploring the city. We would happily stay there again.

« Great value not too far from Downtown Dallas »

This hotel is a great value if you are looking to stay near downtown Dallas. It's really close the nice Uptown area, and not too far from the hip and artsy Deep Area. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable.

« Good place for us »

Enjoyed our stay here. If you are prepared to walk it is possible to get the DART train into the City. Very easy journey and saved worrying about parking. We also walked to the Monk Pub that was recommended by reception although parking would not be an issue there. I also appreciated the soya milk, so thank you to whoever provided that. Breakfast was good. Definitely would recommend.

« Unplanned night in Dallas »

This was a last minute booking when we found out we were staying in Dallas the other night. Good value, great location, really nice swimming pool, best internet on our trip. First American chain motel that I have been to that had soy milk at breakfast - thank you! Also the blankets were good - most motels now use thick quilts in duvets and when it's 100 degrees outside, they are ridiculous - we did not need to chill the room to 50 in order to sleep. Pillows were a bit too 'full' some feather or flatter options would be nice. If I ever come back to Dallas, I would stay here again. Very convenient to get downtown without paying downtown prices.

    « Great Value »

We usually stay at 4-5 star hotels, so had a little trepidation about staying at the BW Cityplace. It turned out to be EXTREMELY clean, comfortable, and a very good value. In-room internet and hot breakfast included in very reasonable daily rate.

    « Get Real 2016 Convention »

There are friendly staff members that are willing to assist when needed. There was clean room that was made up daily during our stay. Amazing breakfast options for everyone. They have at the front desk to-go bags to grab and go when you are on a timeline. The location is close to the trolley which is a 10 minute walk down the the sidewalk and across the freeway. Super clean and very affordable.

« Not much to look at »

Don't let the exterior fool you, this is a great place. For me, it was in the perfect location to the attractions I wanted to visit. The room we had was clean and a fair size. We stayed four nights and encountered most of the staff, all were very friendly and helpful. (The front counter staff really seemed happy to see us and eager to help... kudos)

« Great Value, Great Room, Great Service »

Friendly helpful staff, clean room, very comfortable good bed, good free breakfast, excellent restaurant attached. Had not originally planned to stay here, but as a colleague who was attending the same event I was in town for recommended it, I tried it and was thoroughly impressed.

« Great for Seeing Dallas »

I was only there a short time but found it ideal for my visit to Dallas. The room was very clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. The pool was an extra I was not expecting. And the free breakfast was also nice. The location is easy enough to use the DART to go downtown and a Target just round the corner.

    « Nice Surprise »

Although I believe the hotel is older, the rooms have been upgraded and look great. Buildings and grounds were well maintained. Staff was helpful and attentive. Pool was a bonus. Excellent location if you're looking to stay just outside of the city.

« Not horrible... but not great. »

Beds are ok. Price is great. Rooms stay nice and cool. The restaurant next door made the stay worth it. The desk clerk was hard to find at check in. Front door was even locked at 2 in the afternoon. There were ants in the bathroom. (Not just one or 2 if anything touched the floor ants attacked it) The housekeeper walked into our room unannounced using master key. The next morning the same desk clerk we couldn't find at check in was here we told him there was no more coffee and he very rudely said "well is there no housekeeper around" and went back to his phone without any type of good customer service.

« Clean and confortable rooms »

Near downtown, confortable beds and the best price, i will come again. The included breakfast is fine and the people at the front desk is very kind. I truelly recommend the hotel. The uber service arrive very quickly, less than ten minutes. Need some more?

    « Dirty »

The room was so dirty. The sheets were changed supposedly but they didnt seem to be washed. I took a shower, walked to my bed and my feet were black on the bottom. The sheets slipped all over the bed. The couch was yuck. Just dirty all around.

« Great Location and Restaurant Open 24/7 »

Pretty much the title says it all. If you're staying in uptown and don't mind walking 50 feet, there's a Buzz Brews open 24/7 with excellant food. Breakfast is always served and they have bunt cake. <-- Yeah!!

« Great location but noisy, old and poor value »

As others have mentioned, the location of this hotel is great. But, it's overshadowed by the fact that it borders two noisy streets, is old and in need of updates, and the quality of the bed and pillow leave a lot to be desired. Breakfast, though free, is just ok. Went to check out and stood there waiting for the person at the desk to acknowledge me, then acted surprised that I needed something. So many hotels in Dallas at this price range....I'm thinking there are much better ones to select.

« We had a great time, service was fantastic. Great location, anything we needed or go to was close by. »

We had a great time, from the room itself to the daily breakfast, to the maid service, all top notch. Also the manager Chris was awesome. There was an incident on Wednesday June 30th 2016 at around 5pm, where there was an unknown male in the swimming pool that appeared to be homeless. I called the front desk, explained to Chris what I saw and he immediately went to the pool and got this male out of there. To know that he cared for the security of me and my kids made me feel safe and that he took the time to take care of my concerns.

« Great Location, Helpful Staff »

This is an excellent hotel for a short stay if you are working in Uptown or Downtown Dallas. Located on major freeway and near Subway/Rail Station with a fun 24 hour restaurant on site. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet with a VERY helpful staff. Rate is comparable or less than other similar hotels nearby. Has hot tub suites that are good for couples.

« Best Western Cityplace, Dallas »

This is our second trip staying at this hotel. We really like the location for visiting Dallas. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool is nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good.

« Wonderful front desk staff »

Stayed at the hotel for an extended period (2 weeks) and found the front desk staff to be exceptionally friendly and very helpful with good suggestions for food and other necessary venues within proximity to the hotel.

« Great place, close to downtown. »

Great location to and from downtown, nice staff, love the city. Rooms very clean. Great service. Not far from convention center, good room service, good breakfast and 24 hour restaurant next to hotel. Thank you.

« Outstanding value for money »

Slightly older motel that is in excellent shape and is very neatly maintained. Rooms nice, furnshings good, everything very clean. Parking is a bit cramped but is adequate. Downtown Dallas about 5 min away by car. Service friendly. Great alternative to much more expensive downtown hotels.

« great staff close to down town »

everyone is so nice place is clean and close to downtown Fast on the freeway can get any were great room service Plus a restaurant open 24 hours I got the suite came with a king bed sleep sofa and one full bed had ice box microwave Internet was free need to have more plug in for cell phones and computers very quite Right next to the freeway by a jack-in the box the have a free breakfast too

« Convenient and good value »

You can get here on the metro from the airport, and avoid the long taxi queue (and the deceitful taxi drivers!) at the airport. A 10 minute walk north from Cityplace metro - reasonable walk, proper pavements (sidewalks) and pedestrian crossing lights all the way, and some shade. Cityplace metro has long escalators, but has lifts (elevators) if you've got luggage. Hotel itself just fine, with a nice little pool, and a proper breakfast. There's a diner-type small restaurant right opposite the hotel entrance, so you don't have to go far if too tired to think about where to go to eat.

    « average »

Friendly and service oriented staff. Decent location. Just an average hotel with and average breakfast. Rooms average. Definitely not a Best Western Plus.Nearby parks and near downtown where Kennedy was killed.

    « Convenience & Breakfast »

Positives - convenient location - great breakfast, in particular the greek yogurt - 24 hour Buzzbrew restaurant - Spinach Strawberry salad with strawberry vinaigrette was yummy. Negatives - Upstairs noisy during rain, also can hear traffic in highway at night - Fitness center very minimal - no strength equipment - No elevators (that I was made aware of)

    « Favorable experience »

Clean rooms, adequate and fresh breakfast, and nice staff made our multi-day stay very pleasant. We have stayed in this motel before and will do so again in any travel to central Dallas. Indeed, its location makes getting around in Dallas easy, including travel to Dallas' downtown attractions.

« Excellent, except for MOLD smell »

We keep returning to this hotel because it is inexpensive, it has free internet, a coffee maker, fridge and microwave, a really nice free breakfast, and it is located only 2 miles from the SMU campus. The only problem? Several of the rooms have a MOLD smell to them, so bad that clean clothes retain the smell after staying there, and must be washed to eradicate the odor. Otherwise, the PERFECT place to stay while visiting the Highland Park/SMU area.

« Park Cities' Hidden Gem »

3rd or 4th Stay at this hidden gem of a motel which I really like for its convenience to SMU, The Old Monk pub, Knox-Henderson, and its pricetag. Nice rooms. Decent pool. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff.

« The Best keeps getting better »

My wife and a dear friend of ours rented 2 rooms at the BW Cityplace Inn, where we stay at least once per quarter for medical appointments I have at a nearby hospital. Our friend needed a ride to the airport the same morning I had my appointment, so we got him to come along and get a room next door. Check in was fast and courteous as always. We requested an extra blanket and pillow and were quickly given them. The rooms themselves were extraordinarily clean-also as always, and all appliances and plumbing and air conditioning was in perfect working order. BW Cityplace recently put new carpet and laminate flooring in the rooms, which looked great and is just another example of the high quality care that is put into the hotel. The pool and grounds were well manicured and clean. We liked the rooms, the beds and bed clothes were really clean and comfortable. We've never had an uncomfortable night at the hotel, as I always say in these reviews, BW Cityplace Inn is a home-away-from-home for us. The service never disappoints and the nice quiet rooms always alow a good nights rest for us. I've written a few reviews on BW there and all have been positive, and it's all deserved the high marks. If you have need to stay at a hotel, the BW Cityplace will fit nicely. Its a fine place to call home

« Great location to visit downtown, uptown and the burbs »

We walked to the McKinney Ave trolley to ride through Uptown into downtown Dallas. Also easy access to freeways to drive out to the speedway or up to the Galleria. Walking distance to cool little dining area on Henderson Ave. Room was very clean and beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast choice was good although seating is limited. Only downside was being so close to the freeway was noisy and being a large motor inn there were people coming and going at all hours of the night. Overall a very good stay.

« Great for the price »

It's in a central location, and has always been safe and clean. The restaurant next door is great for late night eats. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I recommend this hotel to everyone I know, and it's the only place I'll stay in Dallas.

« Nice Overnight in the City »

Economical choice if you are attending an event in Uptown. Cute, clean hotel. Pretty average 2-story layout. Pleasant front desk staff. Buzzbrews Restaurant is right next door--they are open 24 hours and serve excellent food. Nice little swimming pool, too.

« Happy camper right here. »

My friends and I rented rooms there last weekend. I was very impressed. I would recommend it to anyone. The room was very clean. The employee's were very friendly. We took Uber from there. The whole experience was awesome.

« Great for the price and location »

Clean and great location. I was downstairs and it was quiet. Friendly staff checking in. Will stay again when flying out of Lovefield. Also close to great food and shopping choices. Parked right outside my door for ease of loading and unloading.

    « fantastic »

Our stay at Best Western was terrific , the staff was nice and helpful , giving us directions to where we wanted to go and informing us about the breakfast. The breakfast was also fantastic with many items to choose from , the fruit was fresh and everything was very clean...Thank you Best Western...

    « Great location!!! 7.5/10 »

The hotel is good, in a great location and across the street from a 7-11. You're about 8 minutes from downtown Dallas (could be 30+ minutes, depending on traffic) and the place in not very expensive. Would recommend without hesitation!

    « Good stay »

Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. They let us check in early. The breakfast tasted good but was not hot enough. Everything else was great. Clean and nice rooms. No problems. Would stay again!

    « Thin walls, noise... »

Everything about my stay was acceptable, except the noise level. Unfortunately I had my next door neighbor fighting and crying until 4am. This literally was waking me up during the night once I finally got to sleep. So perhaps the walls are a little thin....but this fighting went on way too long. I expected a calming stay, as this was the most expensive hotel I booked during the trip in a good location.... I had a quieter experience at Days Inn and Quality Inn.

« Dallas Best Western City Place »

These facilities met my expectations for the price and location. Did seem to have a noisy parking lot at night. Could hear noises coming from adjacent rooms a little more than I've experience at other hotels, but did not cause much concern.

« Clean enough but needs TLC!! »

I stayed at this Best Western while traveling with 3 friends. We all travel quite a bit and had the same general opinion of this hotel. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable but the overall appearance of this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Our rooms were quite small and unattractive. A little bit of TLC would go a long way. The morning breakfast was Best Western's normal fare but their dining area is quite small. We have all stayed at Best Westerns around the country and felt this one was sub par.

« Excellent hotel but request a room away from road »

Excellent value hotel well located short driving distance close to downtown Dallas BUT be aware that the rooms close to main road ARE somewhat noisy. Not outrageous - but a bit irritating if you are not a sound sleeper type person. Ask for a room right at the back.

    « Perfect »

Perfect for our needs. Great price and a great location. We were within a couple miles of Deep Ellum and McKinney Ave. Our room was newly remodeled, nice big and clean. We didn't eat the free breakfast, so no comment on that. Front desk staff was super friendly. We tried buzz brews on site, definitely different but good. We would def return!

    « Never again »

Arrived at 4:00 p.m. Room not ready. Acted like not a big deal. Finally showed up in 20 minutes. Made the bed and left. I told clerk that our plans had changed and we would be checking out a day early. Reply tell them tomorrow, I don't now how to do it.

« Wait an hour to get my room that smelled like puke. »

When I got to the check in counter, after paying they told me to wait just 20 minutes to get into my room as they were finishing some last minute remodeling. I didn't have a problem with that so I went and got my luggage gathered and ready to bring up to the room. After the 20 minute wait my girlfriend and I grabbed our luggage and went to the room. Before getting to the room, the manager stopped me and told me it was going to be another 20 minutes because they weren't finished yet. I began to get annoyed as I've already paid at this point. She said that she could take 20% off my bill and that she was sorry about the wait. After a total of an hour waiting, I finally get into the room. The moment I walk in all I can smell is puke, There was a wet spot on the carpet and that is the only spot where the smell came from. On top of all of this, the parking outside was constantly full as there is a diner in the parking lot as well. For the price of the King-Jacuzzi non smoking suite I suggest staying somewhere like The W or the Omni, This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I highly recommend staying away.

« Great Staff and room »

Leti was great at check in and helping me set up a way to get around Dallas. I was going to use Uber and she put me onto Lyft. We don't have either in my area. Lyft was great a big help from the Leti. The room was great and the breakfast was well stocked and lots to chose from. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. It is just off a major highway into Dallas. 4 ;places to eat with in walking distance 2 fast food 2 service ones.

« Economical lodgings in the right location »

I stay here regularly because it is within walking distance of my daughter's Uptown apartment. The rooms are always clean, the staff is consistently friendly, and the free breakfast is a plus. The last time I stayed there in February 2016 some of the rooms were being refurbished. I will look forward to seeing the results.

« Great Location & close to downtown. »

We stayed here for 2 nights. We came to town and chose this place due to its close proximity to the American airlines arena as we were here to see AC/DC. Motel was nice and clean and had a mini fridge which came in handy. They were remodeling some of the rooms, but was no big deal for us. Good place to eat breakfast (Buzzbrews) which is on the same property. The outdoor pool looked very nice. We will probably stay here again the next time we come back to dallas.

« Too expensive for low end hotel »

It's right on the freeway and very loud. All entrances to the rooms are outside. The ice machine didn't work. The vending machine was out of water and sprite; only had cokes. The breakfast area only has 4 tables; very small.

« Good for the price »

It's close to downtown, seems to be at a safe location, and right beside the original Buzzbrews kitchen (grab a meal there, great food!). During our stay the hotel was undergoing renovations, and we could have done without the noise, but understand it has to happen sometime. It was an overall enjoyable stay, and we will probably return because it's one of the few affordable hotels in Dallas close to the city center. The only complaint was the bed/pillows/sheets. They're not great quality and we found ourselves missing our own bed, but they're good enough to get by for a few nights. Hotel staff was also helpful, we had a neighbor causing a disturbance and I called the front desk to ask them if they could politely have them quiet down. It was taken care of within 2 minutes. Greatly appreciated!!

    « Great Location »

Located short distance from great food and shopping. Located near major medical facilities. Current renovation isn't bothersome and it will be even better when completed. All employees were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really great. Room rates ($85 for king bed handicap) is very reasonable for the area. We'll stay again when in southern Dallas.

« Great location and comfortable stay »

Seeing orthopedist at Baylor Medical and this motel is ideal location for quick access. Clean room; TV and Internet both work--leave too early to check out breakfast but it looks like it would be good. Highly recommend

« Good and not expencive hotel »

Normal budget hotel (motel). Decent breakfast. Close to the stop light rail. Less than 15 minutes on foot. The room has everything you need. The maids have a habit of not clean, if the day're in the room and they do not have time in the morning. ?????????? ????????? ????? « doctors visits to baylor »

very clean, friendly service ,guite would recommend this hotel if you were staying in dallas nice area not far from eating places an hospital [Baylor] .Hd very good breakfast the resterant next door was pretty expensive but made very good hamburgers.

    « Excellent Stay »

Beautiful room, close to where I needed to be and a very friendly and helpful Staff. Breakfast had a wide assortment of choices and having a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker was quite nice! Staff was helpful in assisting me with transportation as well as extending my stay due to work. A lot of college age students the first night so the parking lot was busy and noisy when I got back but once in my room I could not hear them.

« Decent hotel, less than optimal environment »

The good: clean room, comfortable mattress, pleasant staff, eccentric diner on premises with interesting food The bad: Said diner pipes out tinny music via outdoor speaker, which travels into your room. If not for my earplugs and a white noise website I found and played all night from my laptop, I would not have been able to sleep. So: I appreciate the management's work to make this a decent hotel, but I will not return. I felt only somewhat safe as a single female business traveller.

    « FUN-run--) »

Vegas was easy--THIS was FUN! And the pool was easy to see kids would love--busy area, but fun to see and near shops/train at City Place--GOT to go--Easy in and out-POSSIBLY working at Bush Presidential Center near by and go to see it if you love FUN, a little pricey, but interesting and take the train right up to Mockingbird station for a quick ride on the shuttle to get there--Can't wait to go back for the Hurricane Katrina exhibit--too crowded when I was there, though odd my teacher out west saw it coming, but never said anything, but it is inevitable!

    « Smaller downtown hotel »

Average in regards to age of building, furnishings, decorations. Room felt very dark even with all the lights on. The room was clean the staff was friendly. The restaurant next door was great! Open 24 hours serves great coffee!! I had soup for dinner that was great. At breakfast the restaurant was full of locals so I am sure it was tasty also.

    « Extremely clean. »

While this is an older hotel and the mattress wasn't the best, the cleanliness of the room and how friendly the staff was more than compensate. The bathtub, sink, and toilet gleamed. There was no mildew. The carpet looked relatively new and was clean. The woodwork was spotless. This is a great basic hotel that is fairly priced for being in such a good location in a large metro area. I didn't realize that all the rooms opened to the outside with no elevator. I requested a downstairs room and was cheerfully given one.

    « Trip to Texas »

will definatley stay at this hotel again. Bed/pillows were super comfy and shower head was actually over our heads!! Room was spotless and there were NO bugs! Lovely finishes and overall a comfy/ affordable place. Bonus there is a 24x7 restaurant in the parking lot if the free contintental breakfast doesn't do it for you - however - there are hot item choices on the free breakfast buffet too.

    « Pleasantly Surprised - Great hotel »

The pictures on the internet don't do this place justice. The room was super clean, best bed I think I have ever had in a hotel and the pillow too! Nice breakfast buffet was provided. Employees were very helpful. My only concern is the ventilation system. It will not allow you to run the fan, it is on an automatic setting. I had to put it on heat and set the thermostat at 67 since it got so hot in there. If you are a light sleeper traffic might be a concern. It didn't really bother me. Nice little restaurant on the property.

    « HELP »

Got kicked out sort of and needed room! Thank God For Best Western at the Train Station--Moved nearby soon and needed help with El Centro College and Motel 6 wasn't available where I stay, but maybe next time--This place was good, but needed friend and he wasn't available for Intrest--Meaning he didn't help out and was busy for a while--Moving to Austin--Send Me a Deal! « Excellent Central Location, Clean and Safe with Excellent Value »

My title says it all. Previously a Days Inn that I used for years for week-long business trips that deteriorated to the point that I refused to stay. Now completely renovated. Our single (king bed) room was nicely furnished and appointed for business travel. Doubles will be cramped.

« Great Best Western in central Dallas »

This is a good motel, reasonably priced. It is an old building and the rooms are small, but it has been nicely remodeled and is very clean. The bed was comfortable. The one minor problem we had was taken care of immediately. Breakfast was pretty good considering the small space. We will almost certainly stay again.

    « Nice stay! »

Clean, comfortable and convenient to the Bush Library where I was attending an event. Very pleasant staff. I had a nice stay for a very reasonable cost. I recommend this hotel to business travelers on a budget.

    « Good Value »

Comfortable room, and great service.Would go back again. The breakfast provided was quite adequate for the Hotel. Additional restaurants are next door with more options and are 24 hours. Hotel has easy access on ond off the interstate.

« Budget motel on highway »

Stayed here for 3 nights in early October. We were told we had a 'handicapped' room, although we didn't require one but this just meant we were on the ground floor and the bathroom was large. The staff were not the most helpful or friendliest. When we first checked in, we were an hour or so early. They had no problem giving us our room straight away but the cleaners and the receptionist were having their lunch in the reception area. We stood and waited for a while. They acknowledged us but didn't really do anything. We felt like we were disturbing them and should leave! The receptionist then came over and checked us in. We asked her a few questions but she just nodded her head and and carried on typing. The breakfast is also served in this reception area. A lot of reviews saying that the breakfast here is great but we found it to be the same as most other motels (waffles, bagels, muffins, fruit, cereal, orange juice and coffee) with added sausages, potatoes and scrambled eggs, but on all three occasions of eating breakfast, the eggs were watery and the sausages were hard. No problems with the cleanliness of this hotel. Location is just off a freeway and there are a few chain restaurants and a 7 eleven around the hotel. Noise from the freeway wasn't a problem for us. About a 15-20 minute walk to uptown but plenty of taxis available. Overall, not bad for a budget motel

it was very nice an clean bed was very comfortable an friendly service.I would recommend this hotel we had doctors it was close to Baylor where we had to go.close to shopping an resterants. had good cable tv coffee fridge microwave an a very good price.

    « Big Disappointment »

The hotel had pretty good reviews and the price was right so thought I would try it out. I was alone on a business trip and didn't realize that the hotel had an outside corridor. This made me very uncomfortable as the area is a bit dark and lonely at night. The room was also rundown and the carpet was very dirty. Make sure you bring your flip-flops! The restaurant is separate from the hotel and is a 24 hour breakfast and coffee place. The food was tasty, but not very healthy. There was no bar. AND the included morning breakfast is not served in the restaurant but just off the hotel lobby. It was very average. The scrambled eggs felt like they were powdered....not very good. But you could make your own waffle, have cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, etc. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

« Good value for money and good location »

It is very close to the centre of Dallas, with easy access from the Central Expressway. Very clean, good breakfast, both hot and cold. The bed is superb. Very efficient and nice staff. Good free WiFi connection. Free parking. I spent 3 nights and will come back.

« Good price for location, close to 6th floor museum. »

Clean room, good check in. Right off highway so a little noisy. Only had one place to park with our trailer. Glad no one else needed it. Good breakfast place right next door. Less than 5 miles to 6th floor museum which I also recommend.

    « Smoking Room. »

The only room available was a smoking room. When I opened the door, it smelled like a smoker had just walked out. A little febreeze would work wonders. Other than that, decent size room. Close to a lot to do in Dallas. Staff was great. Parking lot is very small.

« Clean, Friendly Staff, and convenient location »

I stayed three nights and the room was an okay size but had a large bathroom. This is more of a ?motel? in the sense that the entry door faces the parking lot (versus a hotel where there's a hallway). The room is a little dated, but I didn't spend too much time in there as I just needed a clean place to sleep-- too much to see in Dallas! Upon checking in, the staff was friendly and courteous. I only had fruit during breakfast so I can't comment on the food, but there's a 24 hour diner that shares the parking lot in case you want something else. This hotel is right off Freeway 75, which is convenient for getting on/off the freeway. However, if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs because you'll most likely hear the ambient noise of traffic and the freeway. It's about 20 miles from AT&T stadium (NFL- Cowboys) and Rangers Ballpark (MLB- Rangers). You're slightly above the downtown area, and about 5 miles from the JFK museum/grassy knoll and about 5 miles from the Texas State Fair/Cotton Bowl. There's a Target nearby, too.

    « Great location. »

This was just what we needed while we were in Dallas. While it is an older hotel, it had all the amenities that we needed. It was clean and quiet in our room. Nothing fancy, but it was nice. I liked that I could go 4 blocks and be on the Katy Trail where I jogged every morning. It was easy getting in and out of Downtown Dallas, as well as close to SMU and other sites we wanted to visit. It was perfect for our needs!

    « State Fair »

I really want to thank the staff at this hotel. They helped us with finding out more about the Dart in Dallas and other ways that we could save on the State Fair. The convenience of the hotel to State Fair was great and the amenities were also very nice and the rooms clean. I would stay here again.

excellent service, courteous help easy to get to. They got me right into a room and off the road for some needed rest. It was fast and convenient. No problems with room, felt secure, someone available easily all night for any questions.

« Good value for your money »

For the price, this hotel is very good. Close to everything. Clean rooms. Nice staff. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. The pool is small, but not many people were using it during our stay. Would stay there again if I were in Dallas.

    « Average »

It was clean. It was small. It was a little musky smelling. Rooms were not roomy. Location was excellent and the staff was super nice. We loved the restaurant next door which makes free breakfast obsolete. A little noisy but not too bad. Needs updating. Price was average. I would not stay again unless updated. Too many other choices.

« Good for our needs »

The room had a definite mold smell coming from the HVAC unit. On our second (last) night, we did not use the AC because of the smell and the affect it had on our sleep. I'm using Best Western because I have accumulated points during my business travel but next time in Dallas we will try another location.

    « Older Motel »

This is an older motel in the center of Dallas. It has had some updates, but could us a few more. The staff were pleasant and as accommodating as they were able to be, as they were fully booked. The beds were very comfortable, they had refrigerators and coffee makers in the rooms. Bathrooms were small, but updated. The only thing not updated were the a/c units, they were not central, but under the window units and were loud cutting on and off all night.
