    « Good, central location »

We stayed here for 2 nights while in Cusco. Location is great - a couple blocks away from Plaza de Armas. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and sights. Across the street from the government office where Machu Picchu tickets are sold. We lucked out - we had paid for a room with a queen bed (booked through Expedia) but when we arrived I guess they didn't have any queen rooms left so they upgraded us to a suite for no extra charge. Our room faced the interior of the hotel - noise level was alright (not as loud as other places we stayed in Peru) but because breakfast is served in the main lobby/courtyard area, we did hear quite a bit of noise in the morning. This was OK though as we had to be up early for our excursions anyways but if you planned on sleeping in, it may be bothersome. Large bathrooms and nice hot showers. Beds were comfortable, there is a mini-fridge and they had left us 2 complimentary bottles of water when we checked in which was nice. Rooms are dimly lit but this seems to be a common theme in Peru. Our room had both South American and North American electrical outlets. Breakfast was great. It is an extensive buffet and served from 5AM-10AM. Best free hotel breakfast we had on our trip! There is also a restaurant in the hotel (we didn't eat here) and room service is also available however I can't recall the hours. Check-in and check-out were both efficient. Front desk staff was friendly, helped with directions and did not hesitate to call us a cab when needed. All in all, a great place to stay in Cusco!

« Great location, good staff »

A good hotel, in the center of town. I stayed for 3 nights and the best of it were the employees, very helpfull and friendly! Rooms and breakfast were ok, clean and spacy. The hotel is in the middle of a vivid town, so do not expect silence all day, however my room was at the backside and quiet enough.

    « Bad and noisy »

Very bad hotel. Rooms don't have air conditioners. Most rooms are noisy due to the traffic. Rooms don't have good ventilation so they become hot. Try and find another hotel. We didn't good sleep at all. Rooms are small too.

« Great location, friendly staff, good price »

Stayed here for 4 nights on my way to Machu Piccu. Great location, great WiFI. Only 1 english TV Channel (not a big deal) room was small but functional. Good breakfast buffet (included). Staff was helpful with information on local area.

    « Wonderful staff »

We stayed here 2x - once before going to Machu Picchu and once upon our return. The first time our room was in the back and a little dark but quiet. The second time we had a room off in the inner lobby, just as quiet but a little more luxurious. Either way, the beds were comfortable, the room spotless, the breakfast varied and plentiful. The staff is outstanding. Very helpful for all manner of things, whether helping with bags or printing boarding passes or just getting useful advice. Cannot go wrong here

« Great home base in Cuzco »

Clean, spacious rooms with a great central location in Cuzco. Staff were super friendly and efficient in providing assistance and advice regarding local points of interest. Breakfasts were great. Large indoor atrium that provides a great place to swap stories and photos of the day's activities. Close to points of interest, restaurants and shopping that are within a comfortable walking distance, it provided a convenient location for all our activities.

    « Leisure »

I stayed here for 2 nights en route to El Camino Sagrado. Nice place, friendly staff, clean bathrooms. I didn't know how to adjust the heater in the bedroom, and there were loud banging noises in the morning. Breakfast is simple but good.

    « Anniversary vacation »

Clean hotel very close to the plaza des Armas. Staff are very friendly. We arrived at 8:30 am after a long overnight journey from Canada. We were served coca tea right away and our room was ready within minutes. Friendly reception each time we returned. Bathroom is spacious with modern imenities. We are enjoying our stay so far and look forward to the rest of the week here.

    « Our Peru exploration »

We are staying in the hotel which is located in the center of town , we walked everywhere , The rooms are very large and comfortable , the lobby offer free coca tea anytime Their buffet breakfast is very large and delicious !!! Highly recommended

    « Great staff & accommodation »

We were there for our Inca trail hike. The staff let us switch rooms to be close to our friends. They kept our luggages safe when we were at the 4-day hike, and this is without added fees. The staff, esp. Ricardo, is always helpful & ready to assist. The hotel has a cozy feeling to it and is always clean. Upon return, we were given a huge room with a huge bathroom. Thank you to the staff!

« Staff and location excellent »

From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful and welcoming. Atmospheric surroundings without being at the expense of comfort. We had a standard room, but it had a lovely sitting area. Bathroom great. Breakfasts were very good, and the cafe attached was very useful in the evening several times. When the Husband had an accident and was in hospital for 2 days, the staff were concerned and interested, quick to call taxis for me as I came and went. Easy walking distance of Plaza de Armas.

« Friendly and helpful staff »

I arrived a day before the rest of my group due to flight delays. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating knowing I was in the city for the night solo. Made great recommendation for dinner and kept their eye out for me. Hotel is clean and lobby is beautiful.

« Perfect location, warm and friendly staff... »

We stayed at this charming hotel with 10 adult family members. We had 5 rooms all total. The rooms were comfortable, good pressure and hot water in the shower. Wi-Fi was excellent in our room and in the covered atrium. We loved to gather as a family in the atrium. Breakfast was served early so you could get your day going. It was a continental style but more than adequate. The food at the small cafe, attached to the hotel, was very tasty and well priced. The staff was wonderful. People at the front desk greeted us when we arrived with coca tea (suppose to help with altitude sickness, must work because no one had a real problem). Had us sit in the comfortable lobby while we got checked in, helped us arrange taxis and made restaurant reservations for us. Rudy was our go to guy....he helped with luggage, helped us move tables together to accommodate our large group, and was able to answer any of our questions. One person lost their ATM card, thinking it may have been in the dirty clothes that they were having laundered, Rudy ran down ATM card, but he did find a $20 bill in one of the pockets and brought it back to us. I loved the location. If you exited the hotel and went right, half a block and you are at San Francisco Plaza and the San Francisco de Asís Church (they have a nice tour, I think 12 soles). If you went left, half a block and you are at Plaza Regocijo, just another block and you are at Plaza de Armas. Lots of museums, restaurants, shopping, and pastry shops nearby. The PeruRail office is just around the corner. The Choco Museo is right next door, and is free. What more can I say, but I would definitely stay here again!

« Great location and price »

This hotel had everything I needed for a stay in Cusco. I was thankful for the speedy check in, and the great location. This cannot be overstated - you can walk so many places very easily from here (once you get used to the elevation). The breakfast was good and offered plenty of options. Very cheap ride to the airport from here as well (about 4 dollars).

« Great location, friendly and helpful staff »

The hotel is very well located, walking distance to Cusco´s Plaza de Armas and where you´ll find major attractions and restaurants. The hotel is not new, but it is comfortable. Our room was large, with a large bed and an electric heater. Poor acoustic isolation seems to be the rule, so give preference to rooms facing the hotel interior. A tourist´s day in Cusco begins very early and you´ll hear a lot of shuffling around; if you are a light sleeper and this bothers you, I recommend bringing earplugs. Breakfast is well served and starts very early, which is helpful since day trips tend to begin before dawn. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, assisting us on all matters including tips and directions on attractions.

    « CENTRAL location! »

This hotel property is literally 5 minutes away from Plaza de Armas. GREAT location to shopping and walking around to the local sights. I had arranged a few day trips and the pick up location for most of them started at Plaza Regocijo (which 1-2 minutes away!) making this an ideal property to start your tours. The breakfast was great and they had a good variety of bread, meat, etc. Arrive early though for breakfast as the food does run out and while the staff cooks fresh food you may be waiting for a bit until they bring out the next batch.

    « Sleeping in Cuzco »

It was a nice hotel near Plaza de Armas, which was great, very friendly staff, which was great too, but unfortunatly our room windows were facing an indoor patio and very early in the morning there was a lot of noise: people talking and we could hear it clearly in the room. Breakfast was from 5 to 10, but unfortunatly the last guests (who had breakfast around 9:30) hadn't the same choice as the first ones. some types of bread were over which is really awkward as we are talking about breakfast...Those were the only reasons why the satying wasn't perfect.

« Nice hotel close to the Plaza »

This is a great hotel close to the Plaza in the centre of Cusco (within 3 mins walking distance). There you will find ample restaurants, shops and money exchange facilities. There is also ample places that offer to do laundry for approx. 4 soles per kilogram. A life saver when you come back from the Inca trail with a bag full of dirty clothes and it is a same day service. The hotel is clean, very friendly with helpful staff and great value for money.

    « Cusco vidit »

Very pleased with the hotel; the staff were really welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful when we had trouble with a trip we had booked independently and phoned the company and sorted it out for us.

    « Awesome stay »

From airport to hotel approx 20mins (depend on traffic, paid 35soles at the taxi booth at the airport) Hotel in great location, 2mins walk to plaza regocijo, 5-7mins walk to plaza de Armas. Next to the hotel, you can find food, convenient store, shops & tour. Room very comfy. High speed wifi, awesome breakfast. Highly recommended.

    « Great Central Location »

The hotel is in a great location! So close to the main Plaza de Armas. It was close to everything and we could easily drop by the hotel throughout the day to drop off or pick stuff up. We stayed at this hotel before and after our Inca trail 4 day hike. The hotel stored our belongings that we didn't want to bring with us on the hike, free of charge. The rooms are decent and clean. I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and found there was enough selection. The hotel lobby provided cocoa tea to help with altitude sickness. The staff were friendly. The hotel has an ideal location in Cusco and is reasonably priced. You definitely get good bang for your buck staying here.

« Wonderful Service and Hospitality »

5AM after 24 hours of travel. You arrive to this hotel and the smiling, friendly person at the front desks greets you warmly and offers you a seat in the parlor, makes you tea, and goes back to complete your registration. THe hospitality continued throughout our stay, with lovely staff who knew your name and room number, a nice breakfast, a great little cafe, and comfortable clean rooms. The showers are wonderful! Centrally located- and easy walk to the main square, San Pedro Market and all of the other Cusco sites. Hotel is an old colornial home, with an enclosed central courtyard.

« Great hotel and location »

This hotel is located within walking distance of all the plazas in Cusco. The Plaza de Mayor is the main square. Many restaurants located with in walking distance. We had a triple room which was 3 double beds. Very clean and neat. We were up early each morning for our set excursions. Breakfast served 5am-10 so we were able to eat prior to our tours. Our room was by stairwell so the morning we weren't up early for excursion we did hear the noise from other guests but was not disturbing to us. Complimentary hot tea in lobby area. There is a small café attached to hotel that we ate at after our Machu Picchu tour because it was a long day. Was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. All average priced (in Sols). The main hotel staff did speak English. They arranged a taxi to get us to the airport which was convenient. Our tour groups also picked us up at hotel since it was such a convenient location. I recommend this hotel if you need a comfortable safe place to stay while seeing the sites Peru has to offer. Wifi complimentary though not strong in our room. Can use in lobby as well. But wasn't a problem since we were on vacation. We were here in June so the weather was not an issue. Neither hot or cold during our stay. Very comfortable.

« Very Accommodating Staff, Fantastic Location »

We arrived to the hotel at 6am and were offered some warming comforting tea on arrival. We were checked in almost immediately which was totally unexpected and made all the difference to our day. Not only this, but the hotel allowed us to check out late at 2pm - seriously good service and hospitality. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The room itself was very comfortable with a great shower and everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. The wifi was excellent (which can be a luxury in Cusco, which we found when we had to move hotel for a booked Inca Trail tour). The hotel could not be located more centrally - right beside the San Pedro market and the main square. The breakfast was fine, not better or worse than other breakfasts we had in Peru though certainly not mind blowing (not really something that would make or break my opinion of a place in any case). Really great budget option in Cusco - couldn't speak highly enough about this hotel.

    « Good location »

I only stayed here two nights and have limited experience in Peru or Cuzco to compare it to. I booked primarily for the location. Price was reasonable. Staff was very helpful, courteous. I did not make it to breakfast either day, but had great room service at a ridiculously low price by US standards. Also had the pumpkin soup in the restaurant and it was excellent. WiFi was solid. Bed was quite hard and I found it uncomfortable. Hot water was a no go the second morning. I would not automatically book it next time but I don't know that there is a better option in the area,

    « Near the action »

Easy walk to plaza the plaza. Heating marginal. Walls thin. Ask for portable heater. Warms up room and fan running blocks out noise from lobby. Tap water unsafe , they only supply bottled water for first night. Disappointing. Staff very professional. I'd stay again.

    « Perfect location »

This smaller hotel is perfectly located walking distance from many of cusco's attractions. The room was small but had all that I needed. The buffet breakfast was really good. Staff was friendly and helpful. No elevator. Tea always available in the lobby. Tricky to get to by car as it is on a one was street.

« fairly modern lodgings with charming feel and helpful staff »

nice courtyard and lobby; standard conventional rooms. Our room had window that opened into courtyard; really nice feature. just a block off a square and 2 blocks off of main square; nice location. helpful staff

« Great Hotel in Cusco Peru »

Stay was great and far superior to any hotel in the surrounding area, as far as cleanliness and amenities. Buffet was absolutely amazing and delicious. The attached restaurant was awesome too. I had met up with several people staying at other hotels nearby for cheaper, but they ALL had negative experiences with cleanliness, especially mold and mildew. My room was awesome, clean and let me sleep well.

« Excellent services for the price you pay »

Service was really good and personnel very friendly and helpful. I stayed in other hotels in Lima including Sheraton, and the experience here was even better at a much lower price. The location is very convenient, within the historic center.

« Great location, quiet, comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel. It had character and was a great find. Breakfasts »

Great place to stay--it had character, it was clean and comfortable, the staff was very hospitable, and it was in a great location for us to walk everywhere in the old city. They served a full breakfast and had a small restaurant with good food for later meals. Would definitely return because of its ambiance and good value.

« Clean and nice location »

My old college buddy and I decided to Peru after college so, we booked a hotel with a name we knew. Great location to restaurants and sights. We spent a few days walking around the city before traveling to Machu Picchu.

« A bit disappointing for the price »

A bit disappointing for the price and the quality expected from an international chain : all rooms are on a patio which resonates so we had noise all night and had to change rooms (which did not make a big difference), the bed had been made with not-so-dry sheets which were still a bit wet on the edges. Service was a bit disappointing as well: we had to move our luggage ourselves to the 2nd floor, we had to request several times for an extra heater that worked and the bill was wrong (phone calls from the previous guest). Rooms are nice with wooden floors and large bathrooms. Breakfast is good with a wide buffet choice including local specialties and international standards. Location is perfect at 2 blocks from Plaza de Armas.

« The room, breakfast, location and staff were great »

The staff was very helpful with all my questions and requests. The breakfast was amazing. The location to the Plaza de Armas was very beneficial. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone. I met my daughter at the hotel making the vacation so very memorable.

    « Best stay »

Miguel was so accommodating to all our needs, if you need a fan just ask. If you need a driver to go to Ollaytantambo just ask him. Contact the hotel prior to arrival and Miguel will make sure to get you a driver to the hotel cheaper than you will get at the airport. Drivers will try to charge you 20 to 35 soles. Miguel will get one for just 10. The hotel is located in a great location.

« this hotel is just perfect! »

I have no complains about my stay at this hotel, in fact, i only have nice things to say, heres why: - the staff were very friendly and helpful. I forgot my sunnies in the room and only noticed when i reached my next destination, when i called the hotel a staff member told me they found the sunnies and I arranged to collect them. (Unfortunately in South America this is very out of the ordinary) - the location is perfect! Close to all major spots, everything is just around the corner - the breakfast was delicious, they had fresh fruits, fresh fruit juice (not from the bottle!), the eggs and coffee were hot - the rooms and common areas ( lobby, restaurant, computer area...) were clean and tide. - the Wifi actually works well in all areas! ???????????? Overall I highly recommend this hotel, it made our stay in Cusco even better, it's the kind of hotel you look forward to go back to whether youve spent the day wondering around the streets of cusco or hiking around the inca ruins.

« Clean and quiet, good breakfast, great staff! »

Our stay at the Best Western Los Andes De America followed on the heels of a trek up to Machu Picchu, so we needed some comfortable beds, warm rooms, and an excellent shower. The helpful staff provided all of that and more. Breakfast: a full table with a nice mix of local tastes and international breakfast options. Everyone should find something to satisfy. Coffee was interesting: this was the only place I'd seen a "coffee essence" that you mix with hot water and hot milk to make your beverage. It tasted pretty good though (and I am a coffee snob). Rooms: ours was sparkling clean, and freshened up every day. The bathroom was huge, with great water pressure and endless hot water in the shower. Beds: medium-firm, lots of plump pillows, and warm yet airy duvets that made a great change from the typical Peruvian heavy bedspreads. TV: Flat screen with over 100 channels. Good thing, too, since I became ill and needed to spend a day watching tele-novelas. Heat/cold: A/C available but not really necessary in Cusco. There was a little space heater we could plug in if it became chilly. We found the hotel to be a pleasant temperature all the time. Staff: incredibly helpful and friendly. Location: easy walking distance to Plaza de Armas and all downtown attractions. Bonus: it's around the corner from the ChocoMuseo - yum! Would I stay there again? Absolutely. It's a slight splurge over some other hotels in the area, but the few extra dollars is reflected in the higher level of service and quality of the rooms.

« Great hotel. Super staff. »

Super friendly staff really made our stay here. Breakfast is great. The room we had was very clean and had everything you'd expect at this price point. Bedding was fantastic. Location is absolutely perfect for exploring town by foot. We're already looking to stay here again before leaving Peru, as it's great value and we can't get enough of Cusco. Only minor downside for us was the lobby noise entering our room via the internal windows and if you're a light sleeper you may notice other room doors being closed/hallway noise. Neither woke us up but this is why I chose to give a 4/5.

    « Wonderful »

We stay at this hotel from December 4 nights. It is a cute hotel close to the main square, store and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the little restaurant Sonqo Cafe is really good, the breakfast buffet was really good too.. Really a great experience

« Great value and service! »

We stayed for 4 nights. The location was excellent and service was very friendly. For the value we received this couldn't be beat. Beds were fairly comfortable. The only downside was that the walls are fairly thin so we could hear the room next to us but because the hotel is built around the courtyard you aren't surrounded by a lot of rooms and it's definitely manageable. Would definitely stay here again.

« Wonderful service, clean and so central! »

We extended our stay due to illness and the staff could not have been more helpful! Serviced our room around the unwell, and provided some dry saltines when asked. Beautiful old colonial style hotel that centralises around a skylit courtyard. Great breakfast spread, by far the best in Peru we had in 3weeks. Rooms were spacious and very clean. 2 double beds, wardrobe and large bathroom suited 2 friends travelling perfectly. Tea and coffee avail 24/7 in the courtyard and great English speaking staff at the front desk. You couldn't Stay closer to the Cusco central/plaza if you tried. Highly recommended. View from where I sit to write the review in the courtyard... So nice to feel the warm sun in chilly Cusco! Great wifi!!!

« Pleasant stay in a colonial style hotel »

This hotel was selected by the tour company that handled our Machu Picchu visit. The hotel is built around a court yard, which adds to its charm. Wooden plank floors, lots of varnished wood furnishings. Small restaurant at the hotel, good menu selections, reasonable, good service. We noticed that there were some patrons from outside the hotel which speaks to its favorability. Front desk staff helpful and with good English. We stayed at this hotel on our way to Aguas Calientes, and again on our return trip. The hotel held luggage for us. Excellent location, 32 rooms, tasty large breakfast buffet, comfortable beds, relatively quiet. I would gladly stay there again.

« Very good location and price in Cusco »

We stayed for just one night. The hotel is located very close to all of the main downtown sights in Cusco. Check in was done very quickly and we were given our room key. We paid less than 50 USD for our room and really did not expect much. The room was clean and large and had 2 single beds in it and a rather dated , but clean bathroom. We slept well and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning. The hotel also called a taxi for us to take us to the airport the next day at a cost of 10 soles for both of us. Very nice hotel for the low low price.

« Central, convenient with friendly staff »

Our group used this hotel as a base for our travels down to Tambopata, Manu and Aguas Calientes, We were able to leave our large cases here, so that was great. As a result I stayed in 3 different rooms. All were comfortable, clean with all the usual necessities. There was no lift and carrying my rucksack to the 4th floor room (gorgeous) was quite literally a breathless experience! Breakfast was a buffet style with a few little Peruvian differences - quinoa, other seeds, local jam and dried coca leaves.Very convenient to the centre of Cuzco, shops and restaurants.

    « Wonderful hotel »

Very nice hotel with quiet rooms. Excellent location close to Plaza de Armas with many restaurants and shopping nearby. Bathroom very clean with great shower and water pressure. Breakfast excellent! Only downside, no elevator.

« Wonderful stay in Cusco »

We spent two, non-consecutive nights here. We had a good experience and would recommend it. It's in a great location, within walking distance to the city square. The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us great restaurant recommendations, sight seeing tips, and helped us get a reasonably priced taxi back to the airport. Make sure to ask the front desk how much a taxi ride will cost. Like in other cities some taxi drivers will charge tourists more if they can get away with it. The front desk staff spoke English fairly well. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was good, if you asked my husband he would say great. They let us store our luggage for free while we went on to Machu Picchu. It's definitely not your typical Best Western. It had a very authentic Peruvian feel to it. Would highly recommend this reasonably priced hotel.

« Great, authentic Peruvian decor Hotel in central Location »

We arrived in Cusco airport around 6am from Lima and got a taxi to our hotel. Well the guy who runs the tour office next to the baggage carousel offered to provide us with a taxi, and being tired and unaccustomed to the cost we agreed. He charged us 35 Soles and he asked us to pay upfront, which we did. He then called a guy who took us to a car and we got taken straight to the hotel. We didn't realise at the time but this wasn't an actual taxi provider, and we got ripped off. The cost of a taxi to/from the airport to the main square in Cusco is 20 soles. Just use the official taxi rank office which is just before you leave. The driver was pleasant and it was all quite safe, but I just hate the thought of being ripped off - I know it's only a pound extra but still! We arrived at the hotel and had a short wait while we waited for our room, we filled out the customary forms, they took copies of our passports etc. We were offered the local Cocoa Tea which was nice - they say it helps with the altitude sickness. Cusco is actually higher up than Machu Picchu so this is a great place to spend a few days to acclimatise & the little city is absolutely beautiful. It was my favourite place! I did get a little breathless at times so just take it easy. I found that if I did some deep breathing exercises each time I felt breathless for a few minutes it would pass and I didn't really feel any worse than that. But I guess everyone is different. We didn't have to wait long before we were given our room, which was clean and comfortable. The room was on the ground floor next to the open courtyard, and we didn't have any issue with it. A safe was provided in the wardrobe and amenities in the bathroom. The shower was great, but could have been a little hotter - but we used it in the afternoon so may have just been the wrong time for really hot water. We slept a few hours then headed out for a walk and to find something to eat. There are loads of restaurants all dotted around the main square. The food is pretty much all the same, we ate in a a different restaurant each time and it's the same standard fare on every menu: Pizza, pasta, Peruvian cuisine, sandwiches, salads etc. If you can get a seat on the balcony overlooking the square & just have a local beer and some good food and enjoy the view! Great to just people watch and enjoy the sunshine. Breakfast was the best spread we had in all our time in Peru - fresh fruit, continental selection of meats & cheeses, hot items bacon, eggs, pastries, fresh fruit juices and tea and coffee - the coffee is strong coffee essence which you are supposed to mix with hot water & milk. Don't make the mistake of thinking it can be drunk straight from the container as its like jet fuel and will give you a real kick up the backside (maybe that's a good thing if your jet lagged ;-) If you get a chance right round the corner you can find the chocolate museum - an amazing place to do a workshop where you can make your own chocolate from bean to bar. Cost is 75 soles for a 2 hour session (11am/2pm/4pm) and it's such a great experience. This hotel is in a great location and you can walk to the main centre in a few minutes. There is also a Peru Rail office next to the chocolate Museum to pick up your train tickets to Machu Picchu or elsewhere. Plenty of souvenir shops/ATMs/convenience stores right on your doorstep. If you're on a budget and want to get a Collectivo bus to anywhere (we got one to Ollyantambo for 20 soles) ask at reception for a town map and they will mark the area to get these from its about a 10 min walk from the hotel. Enjoy!

    « Tourist-class Accommodation in Central Cusco »

Spent 2 nights and 3 days in Cusco as a side trip on a recent weeks' stay in Lima, Very average and basic accommodations - do not by any stretch of the imagination expect resort amenities or even a modicum of luxury. Having said that, here are the highlights: + - Decent customer service from hotel staff. Kind, friendly and helpful. - Nice welcome cup of coca leaf tea upon arrival. - Above average buffet breakfast included in cost of accommodations including eggs made to order, breakfast meat options, lots of local varities of fruits, various breads and baked goods. - Spacious rooms - Centrally located to all of the tourist sites - a short walk to Plaza de Armas, artisan shopping areas and tour guide offices offering excursions to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. - Free internet access Not so "+" - Rooms are in desperate need of renovating. The furnishings and decor are aged and weathered/worn and probably haven't been touched for at least 20 years. - Views left something to be desired. I didn't realize there was a window in our room until the last night - when I noticed a black out curtain blocking one. Upon parting the black out curtain, I spied an empty lot filled with rubbish and overgrown with weeds. - No elevator service - particularly a bummer if you are suffering from altitude sickness. I will unlikely return to Cusco, but never say never - and if by rare chance I do, I would likely spend a bit more and lodge at one of the more luxury, full-service resorts.

« Great location, nice staff but feels a bit dated »

Stayed here for four days. Nice staff, very good breakfast that is in included in the stay. Rooms and hotel a but dated. Silly things like weak Internet signals or no newspapers to read in the lobby. I gave it a three star rating, and would stay here again if I wouldn't be able to find a nicer place for even a bit more money. The location is terrific, so that is a hard selling point to ignore. Mixed thoughts on the hotel to be honest.

« Nice view from the 4th roof, but no hot water! »

Nice hotel, but expensive for the level of the service provided. The stuff was great, but unfortunately for 2 days in a row, we had no hot water!! I complained twice but nothing changed.. For the limited time that we spend in the hotel, i would appreciate at least a hot bath. Keep in mind that there is no elevator in the hotel, so if you don't like walking take a room in the first floors (more noisy and worse view though). The breakfast is nice, but served in a very dark place..

« Excellent hotel between Plaza de Armas & Plaza San Francisco »

Great hotel, centrally located in Cusco, between the Plaza de Armas and Plaza San Francisco. Within walking distance of all the historic sites in Cusco. The rooms were very spacious. We loved hanging out in the lobby area, a converted courtyard, drinking coca tea and meeting fellow travelers. The hotel staff was fantastic. We needed to straighten out some travel issues, and the front desk made several phone calls for us. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good. They had a great quinoa soup and other tasty entrees. Breakfast was included in the price of the hotel room and was very good. Used the hotel's laundry services. We sent out jeans and they came back the following day.

    « Very well located »

Located between Plaza de Armas and Mercado San Pedro this is a very good Hotel to stay at the historic´s Cuzco. We apreciated very much its breakfast and the hotel´s staff was also very helpful and assisted us with all our needs.
