Best Western Plus Chicagoland - Countryside

This place was not acceptable, had to change rooms 5 times: one for a/c not working, two no hot water, three power went out in room, four staff didn't do anything with the smelling of weed and cigarette smoke in the hallways and rooms for 5 days, disrespectful staff especially Elisa. Needs better staffing and NEEDS to fix broken things that don't work!!! We will never come back to this place..the only good thing was the coffee machine. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!

Excellent customer service, great food, and comfortable room. I have no complaints about this hotel. We always pick this hotel when we are on our business trips, I team drive commercial vehicles and I stop at Countryside location whenever I have to stop for a day.

The hotel is not in a bad location right outside the city, everything is in reasonable distance to get food, gas, etc. the hotel itself was wonderful, exceeded what I thought it would have been, highly recommand !

The rooms were clean and the staff was very courteous.. Plenty of breakfast options.. There are lots of food and shopping options nearby to serve most anyones needs. I would recommend staying here again.

Excellent staff that cares about your comfort. Staff will go out of their way to answer any question. Rooms are well maintained. You get many luxuries at comfortable rates. This hotel was recently renovated.

I recommend this hotel over the Holiday Inn that is next door. This hotel has free breakfast and better rooms than the holiday Inn. Good fast elevators. Friendly front desk employees. Bathrooms are decent too, giving you good soap

Room reeked of cigarette smoke, blood stain on the curtain, dirt at the bottom of the shower, no bath towels, we left that night and didnt even stay a whole hour there. We drove there for a concert and didnt want to make the 5 hour trip back home at midnight when the concert was over, but we were so grossed out we just left after the show. for $220 I expected a lot better :(

It's obviously not a 4-star hotel. But it was clean, quiet, safe and comfortable.I have family in the area. For a couple of years I stayed at Air B&Bs but got tired of sharing a living space with others. Tried this place six months ago, came back recently, and it will be my go to place to stay when in the area. Breakfast was much better than I expected.

I booked this hotel about 1 month prior to traveling. Needed something close but still in the burbs. Good value and safe area, lots of convenient stores and restaurants. I would definitely stay again for the area and value.

Hotel was clean. Close to shopping & restaurants. Most important quiet. I am a NOC ER RN & there to sleep btwn shifts during the day & I wasn't woken once!! I'll definitely return if the chance arises

Was shown 3 rooms 2 of the 3 where very dirty the 3rd was not to bad..have stayed at this hotel in the past never had these issues. Manager was not very friendly or helpful. Will not be back unless there's new management

My cars catalytic converter was stolen from the parking lot. Was told this was a common problem and that the cameras don't actually cover the parking lot. Seriously messed up my trip, and I parked in the second row right in front of the entrance.

My partner and I were visiting the Chicago area for the first time, and the Best Western Plus Chicagoland Countryside was reasonably priced and centrally located. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Every attraction we went to was about 20-30 minutes away. If you need a grocery or drug store, they are only about a five-minute drive. If you do want maid service, you will need to let the front desk know. By not staying in downtown Chicago, we saved money that could be spent elsewhere. If this is your first time in the Midwest, make sure to try Andy's Frozen Custard, which is just a stone's throw from the hotel.

We arrived with just enough time to get 8 hours of sleep before flying out of Midway, so we didn't have time to switch rooms or report problems. Honestly, we like Best Western because we have rarely had problems at this chain. This time, however, there were stains on the bed skirt on top of the box spring (both a large liquid stain and small blood stains), hairs in the bedding, a cracked tile in the bathtub, mold-like stains on the tub caulk, and a broken coffee maker. DH showed staff the coffee maker. The solution was to get coffee downstairs at breakfast. This was our 2nd worst hotel stay of all time.

The manager both of them are very amazing hard workers the staff is also amazing hard workers I had a very good time there and I will be back very clean Hotel very pleasant and nice love the cookies as well love the fitness center and the on-site laundry and the breakfast is amazing very healthy I enjoy it to the fullest and the kindness and caring staff keep up the amazing work

A quiet location that is clean top to bottom. Our room was spotless. We did not use the fitness or breakfast facilities. Time did not allow for that. But we did check them out and they looked well maintained and easy to access. Our only issue was no wifi in or guest room on the 5th floor.

Service was top notch. The hotel and lobby were very nice. Our room was clean and well decorated. We were only there for one night to flight out of Midway but would certainly stay again when in the area.

I stay here a few times a week for business in the Chicago area. The hotel is very clean, well managed, and Alyssa at the front desk is always very nice & helpful. Great Breakfast too! The rooms are very well maintained. Great job to all the staff here. Keep up the great work!

If you drive to Chicago from another city for a business trip, you want to stay here. It's clean and affordable, and the parking is free. A drive from the hotel to Downtown takes ~ 20 minutes, if the traffic is good.

Trip was for a relatives wedding. Have stayed here before. always been treated with respect. Room cleaned and prepped daily. Very good breakfast and requests to front desk are handled quickly. Whenever a trip is planned, always stay here.

I stay here all the time while I'm working in Chicago. They are all friendly staff. Only problem I had when checking out was the guy said he checked me out but he didn't I guess it was good I called and confirmed. They also don't clean your room everyday or you have to tell them when you want it cleaned but other than that wonderful place.

I always stay at Best Western when in town. Polite personal, nice rooms, close to downtown Chicago. Restaurants close by, good food. Shopping centers just a few minutes from hotel. They have continental breakfast every morning.

I stay here twice a year for 10-12 days each visit and i can only say its the best hotel i ever stayed at. Room,hotel staff and breakfast are top notch. Can't wait to book my room for this June. Thank you everyone for making my stays always enjoyable. larry malysa

Hotel is well priced, staff is outstanding, rooms are clean and neat. The whole hotel feels very modern but not cheap like a lot of "modern" hotels. The breakfast muffins were good, check in and check out took very little time.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast was fresh, and the customer service was excellent because of Kevin, who does everything to make sure the customer is happy. Hard worker and works with a friendly tone. Thank you Kevin for making our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

THREE weeks prior to our stay, I booked two rooms -- a regular king room for myself and a Handicap room with a roll in shower for my mom. She is disabled and requires a roll-in shower and handrails in the restroom. I received an email confirmation that the Best Western Plus Chicagoland-Countryside had confirmed it would honor our request for this specific room. We arrived at 3:00 to check in. We were told that the hotel had overbooked for that night and they had already given away the handicap room we requested. Per the front desk attendant there is only one handicap room with a roll in shower. To compensate, we were offered adjoining rooms with the suggestion that I could "help her in the restroom" -- which was completely unacceptable! Best Western's refusal to honor their guaranteed room left me scrambling and calling around to find another hotel that could accommodate my mom. My mom is always self-conscious regarding the "burden" she feels her health issues cause her family. She felt horrible that we had to find another hotel just to accommodate her. I can understand overbooking a king room and asking guests to take a room with two queens. But overbooking a handicap room???? This is unacceptable -- especially when the hotel has confirmed to a guest that it will honor their request for this special room. Best Western Plus Chicagoland-Countryside was a complete disappointment. The management and staff at this hotel do not stand behind their guarantees and obviously do not care about guests needs -- especially the Disabled.

Location was great, however we had ants in our room, cold/nearly frozen muffins and donuts for breakfast and no coffee was made until breakfast began at 6:00 am. If you're an early riser or have an early check out time, you will be disappointed. I'm a huge fan of Best Western, but this stay did not make me happy. I know there are COVID restrictions in place, however, not having protein options for breakfast is disappointing.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff members we encountered were all friendly and very helpful. During our stay masks were required when in public areas. I did see 2 instances where a guest had their mask in their hand and a staff member reminded them that masks are required for everyone safety and asked them to please put them on and leave now and whenever they were in public areas of the property. I appreciated that.

This location is top notch! If your looking for a warming comfortable stay where you can feel safe. I travel alone so that is very important! Very clean, great service, awesome breakfast, relaxing atmosphere.

We stay here several times a year when we are in the Chicago area and are always impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast is wonderful with different hot and cold offerings every morning. The staff is always helpful, nice and accommodating. We use the workout room and everything works and is in good condition. We will definitely continue to stay there in the future.

I stayed here for 5 nights and it was so nice. Clean and quiet. Just overall perfect. Housekeeping was very friendly and made sure our room was cleaned. Front desk people were so professional and helpful. I recommend staying here.

This is a really good hotel with newer decor, cordial staff, and good housekeepers. The breakfast wasn't star quality, but the variety was great with something everyone could enjoy.. Very comfortable beds. Hotel close to great shopping and food eateries for lunch and dinner.

We have been staying at this Best Western since our daughter moved to La Grange. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Several of the staff recognize us and welcome us back. Breakfast is always very good with a nice variety. Of course, the breakfast "lady could not be more personable. This has become "our" place when we are visiting our family.

Love the decor, the service, the air quality in the rooms, the fast-acting air conditioning, the breakfast is sensational! Superb coffee available all day and night. Couldn't have asked for anything different!

Nice and close to Midway airport. The staff have always been so friendly when I've stayed here. Breakfast is good, with many choices to choose from. The internet works great for me and the rooms are good sized.

This hotel was recommend to me by the company I was visiting and I'm glad I listened. I think Best Western has a reputation of being subpar to Hampton and Holiday Inn Express. This BW Plus is definitely in their league. The check-in was fast, the rooms are big with nice comfy beds and the breakfast is nearly identical to the previously two mentioned hotels. They also made a conscience effort to provide higher end bathroom supplies as you will see in my picture. Overall I highly recommend this as an excellent business hotel.

First the bathroom were locked and once i called the front desk who checked me in .He kept refusing to help and telling me that his shift will end in 10 minutes and to call next person in 15 minutes.we asked little pit for late check out .They kept pegyging on the room and rudly said we have to charge u late check out..the Ac is not central.small size beds and room.Not good break fast.I wouldnt recommded for any person

Hotel was clean and nicely laid out. The room was comfortable, a little dry from heating. Hotel was well situated for my trip within the city. Staff were helpful, needed some toothpaste late and could not go out again to a store.

We stayed here a couple of nights while visiting friends and relatives in the area. The staff was super nice! Our room was perfect: spotless bathroom, comfy beds, work table. It's so nice having a complimentary breakfast! You can come straight from your room and start off your day with a hearty meal without having to drive anywhere. The food was excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed my week stay at this hotel. This hotel was recently renovated and everything was super clean! Staff friendly, bed very comfortable and bathroom was spacious. They even had a variable spray shower head.

When I arrived, I had been driving about 8 hours and was looking forward to lying down and unwinding a bit, But was told my room was not ready. It was about 3:00, check in time. I was told the AC was having it's “annual”maintenance. I was told there were other room available. I wanted to stay in the original room. If the AC was having maintenance it would work better was my thought process. I've never stayed at a Best Western Plus before, so I was a little concerned at this point. I was told it would be about 30 minutes, then told, wait, it's ready. The maintenance man was just finishing up when I got to my room. Indeed the AC work very well. The “upfront” people were fantastic. Helped me find a nice place to eat, “Fajitas” just down the street, among other things. The Hotel does not have a pool or a hot tub. Over all not a bad place to spend a night.

When I arrived the front desk gave me my room card it would not work, 4 cards later I was finally put in another room. The second night upon arriving after a very long day my card would not work again. I had to go back down stairs and have the same girl give me another card. She did not really seem to care either night that there was an issue. Then when I checked out I could not get a receipt because I booked the room on line through a travel site.

At the last minute my husband and I decided to take a short trip to Chicago. Luckily we were able to get a very nice room at the Best Western Plus Chicagoland. It was a short trip into the city and the breakfast was outstanding. I will definitely stay here again.

Hotel was nice. The only issue is it was 100 degrees outside (literally) with a heat index of about 106. My daughter played 3 games of softball and we were looking forward to walking into our room to cool off but the AC system was turned completely off. The room never really cooled down enough. As another reviewer shared, the elevators were extremely warm as well. Otherwise it was a fine stay.

I stayed here when first getting to Chicago and the night before we left. I feel its pointless to try and stay somewhere too fancy on short stays. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. The rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable. I felt safe, and cozy enough for a few great nights sleep. The parking lot was a bit awkward. I didn't feel 110%comfortaable walking through it late at night.

Everything was wonderful. We came to watch the FCC game vs Chicago Fire. Everything was clean and quiet. This will be a place I would stay at again visiting Chicago for a game or pleasure. Staff was wonderful.

Room was clean, well arranged with several extra amenities, i.e. microwave, fridge. In addition to several cable channels, hotel provided free Showtime. Also free breakfast which was more than the standard continental with a variety of choices. Front desk staff were excepionally friendly, polite and helpful. Would definitely recomment.

Very rarely does Best Western let me down. I stayed here last July raving reviews! This July there's no hot water I cannot shower when I need to. The air conditioning is limited in the hallway there's none in the elevators. They had advance notice that would be in early the room I received was sweltering hot. It was not worth $135 a day. VERY nice hotel... period. Everything was above average. Close to great restaurants and shopping...set back from the roadway so it's quiet... got a good nights sleep... and the front desk staff when my wife & I stayed there were genuinely nice.

We spent one night on the begenning of our trip driving route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles. The motel was very convient to Midway airport where we arrived. There is shopping and resturants near by with easy driving. The Best Western has a fine lobby, the check in was fantastic and the staff right on, happy and helpful. Our room was large and very nicely done. The motel was very quiet, the bed very comfortable. The free breakfast was quite good, the eating area was nice and they kept it pretty clean during the morning rush. We are very happy with our stay.

Over the years, I've traveled frequently to this suburban Chicago area, but really didn't have much awareness of this Best Western. I was pleasantly surprised to find this one. It is convenient to the area I was visiting, convenient to highways, and convenient to reach Midway Airport. There was plenty of parking, even though I checked in later in the evening and the hotel seemed to be relatively full. Although it is located on a busy road (at least in the daytime), the hotel is set back from the street, and unlike many other hotels, it was not located next to a highway. It was very quiet during the evening. The exterior building and grounds were clean and pleasant. The interior common areas and the rooms are pleasant and decorated nicely. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bathroom has good mirrors and is brightly lit. The A/C, TV, shower, Wi-Fi, etc. all worked fine. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The towels are better than average. There is an elevator and luggage carts, if you need one. WiFi and a typical hotel breakfast are included. There is a small, but adequate business center where I could check in to my next day's flight and print out a boarding pass. The staff was pleasant. I had a good rate. Overall, I would recommend this hotel---it was a good value and met my needs well.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel's location was centrally located to local restaurants and shopping centers. The beds were very comfortable and clean. I have stayed here twice during my last two visits to the Chicago area and plan to stay here again on my next visit.

Stayed here two nights. Bed was good, noise level was ok. I had a room next to where the elevators were, so the noise level was present. I could hear the elevator going up and down, and the doors opening and closing. However, the A/C Heater fan drowned out most of it, so it was ok. The room was clean, and the bathroom was clean. The staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast again, was ok. It was free. They had a different egg dish each morning and some bacon or sausage. They also had a waffle making station as well as other typical breakfast fare; i.e. cereal, toast, muffins, some fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juices. It hit the spot and helped me on my way. It was about $110 a night, seemed a little pricey for this place. Over all, it is an ok place.

Staff was phenomenal....However, not being able to enjoy anything outside the hotel was quite disappointing since one elevator was down for repairs and the 2nd broke down as well...traveling with an elderly companion, we were stuck in our room for 4 hours...which was the better part of our one day stay...

the BW in Countryside IL. is in the middle of a lot of things but offers a very Quite stay so you can rest. fresh baked cookie at the check in counter is a plus! over all experience is great I spend 9 nights per month in a motel and this is one of the better ones I stay at.

Great hotel for the area. The corporate rates for long term stays are generous. The staff are very nice and attentive and can offer some good local knowledge. Breakfast is good, especially burrito day. They offer fruit and coffee/tea all day. If the water isn't hot enough they'll fix it right away. Cookies in the afternoon. Great internet when compared to some of the others that make you pay for the higher speeds. Clean rooms and recently updated the pillows. Erica in the morning and Annabelle in the afternoon is the power crew.

This is a very clean hotel! Great front desk staff. Just got back from Birthday travel. Yes the winter weather was challenging and navigating I-294 took a couple of runs but the location is good to with Quarry strip mall close by. The hotel has updated features business center with two computers and printer. Dining area open good lighting. Breakfast provided beverage station, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, bagels and the standard waffle makers. They had variety of hot dishes we stayed 4 nights. They also had fruit bowl. Didnt get boring. They keep it very clean. Could use larger waste containers. Stronger paper plates would be helpful. Definitely family friendly. Rooms had microwave and small fridge not freezer shelve. Modern fixtures, painting, carpet carried for....I would recommend.

We didn't have many options. We booked a room here as guests to a wedding reception on New Year's eve at the neighboring hotel/hall. We booked well in advance and because of the holiday, it didn't appear there was a discounted room block - at least we were told there wasn't. It would've been great to have an option to work with a booking agent to discuss room preferences and not have to go back and book online. Our room was next to the elevator (not a preference) and as it was New Year's eve, guests directly across in the rooms on our floor were loud throughout the entire evening and morning. Upon arrival, the room also smelled like dirty feet. When we returned after the reception, it smelled like perfume somehow seeped into our room. So then the room just smelled like a potpourri locker room.We only traveled from the city to the burbs but thinking it'd be a staycation of sorts. We would've loved to been able to relax in the room at least before the event and before check-out but it was just too noisy. Yes, we could've complained but it just didn't seem worth ruining the other parties good time. It seemed overall that the hotel knows if you're going to an event on the property and so you're really at theirs and the other guests mercy.

Our 1st choice hotel. Staff is wonderful. Rooms are always clean and inviting. Beds are comfortable. Towels are soft and fluffy. They have fresh baked cookies in the evenings. Nice area. Shopping and eating in the area is great.

We had a power outage in our condo bldg and had to find a place to stay fast .The Best Western was very accommodating. There were alot of people trying to check in and she did a very good job .Thankyou.

The bed was soft, the internet worked very well, and the room was quiet. Everything worked - the shower had hot water quickly and had great pressure. They had a nice spread for breakfast with plenty of options, it wasn't extremely fancy, but had good variety and everything tasted good. It was conveniently located close to many restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay as it was a business trip for me and I checked in around 5. The internet connection was perfect for my use. I even brought a game console along just in case I got bored and the connection worked well with it. The room had a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, plenty of storage space for clothes, and a coffee maker. The cook for breakfast was very helpful with all of the breakfast items and she had a good attitude and a "good morning" for everyone who stopped by the breakfast area. Altogether this was one of the most pleasant stays I've ever had in a hotel.

This hotel was conveniently located near Midway without the high prices of being right next to the airport. The desk clerk was friendly and made check in a breeze, the room was spacious and cooled down quickly which made for a comfortable stay. The room is average but very clean, well lit and comfortable which is what we expected. The parking lot was well lit and there was plenty of parking near the entrance of the hotel. It was easy to get onto the highway the next morning and catch our flight out. Would recommend to others wanting a reasonably priced hotel for an early flight.

This is clean quiet lodging close to La Grange. Also close to interstate 55 so quick trip to downtown Chicago. Nice hotel with great staff. The fitness room looks good and more than adequate breakfast.

Clean, comfortable property in an area with little other options. Only problem (both times I've stayed here) has been an out of service elevator. Time to upgrade them! We stay here when visiting family in LaGrange.

Stay here every time I attend to business in Chicago. Well situated, good restaurants in area, excellent price for value supplied. Breakfast better than normal buffets. Easy travel to McCormick place.

The stay at the hotel was good but could have been great with a few improvements with the food and the room! Also not sure why my rewards points have never been posted to my account since I have stayed there many times in the last year!

We were in Chicago for a wedding during marathon weekend with hotel prices extremely high. The BW Chicagoland + Uber worked out well. Clean rooms, huge comfortable King bed, good WiFi, plus nice hot breakfast with rotating items. Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Location is in a commercial corridor with auto dealerships and some fast food restaurant. If you have a car, you can connect in many directions. We taxied to Metra station about 2.5 miles away.

This is a five star hotel in my opinion. The room was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and it had great amenities all for a low price. The parking lot was well lit so there was no worries walking from a dark car. It's near enough to the shopping district you can get there in under ten minutes without being right in the heart of the traffic.

Don't know why people don't like it... Nice suburb - halfway between O'Hare and Chicago. Near fast food restaurants and other restaurants, supermarkets and shops... locals are nice, friendly and helpful. It's quiet... Hotel is nice: spacious room with everything ( toiletries, good size fridge, microwave, iron and board, hair dryer, free local calls), free ice machine, vending machine for junk, gym, free coffee all day/night long (good strong coffee). Very friendly staff all around. All in all, highly recommended !

I was staying in Chicago on business for 3 days, Unfortunately I made my reservation through Hotwire where I chose the area and the price ($62/night) but did not know the hotel till after I paid, I was lured by the price ... lesson learned ! The first morning I was there I literally ran out of hot water during my shower, had to finish with very cool/cold water ... I let them know but by the time the maintenance guy came up, the water was now warm again, he said sometimes too many people taking showers can cause this The second morning when I woke up the tv signal was out, again I called and let them know but I left for work shortly after before the signal came back The carpet in my room was very dirty and dingy As far as breakfast, it was ok but the juice was so watery that it was horrible, it's as if the added a gallon of water to a tiny bit of juice, this was not a fluke because it was the case all 3 days I was there In summary Avoid if you can Reserving the stupid way on hot wire gets you very unpredictable results

When staying at hotels, my wife and I look for a clean, comfortable, reasonably-priced place, in a safe neighborhood. The only "frills" we look for are free parking, free internet and a fitness center. We try to find a room with a fridge and microwave, but that is not a deal-breaker. This place had it all with the added benefit of free breakfast and a mini business center. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. We are vegans so the free breakfast was not the highlight, but they did have fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cereal and even soy milk! The fitness room has two treadmills, an elliptical, a combo cable machine and dumbbells. The only negative was a bad chemical smell in the fitness room that was present every day. You get used to it, but it is not pleasant at first. We wound up paying $95 per night, including all taxes and fees - a god deal for the Chicago area!

Was there for 10 days and was really pleasant to stay at this hotel. Room clean, hotel clean, breakfast has a good choice of meal and things. May need to upgrade bed and shower head. Staff really pleasant.

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting friends. It took us about 40 minutes to get there from the airport (slowed down by traffic). Hotel was clean and staff were friendly hand helpful. Our room was OK but in need of an update. However it was very clean and the bathroom was a good size. Breakfast included a variety of hot and cold food with plenty to choose from, however unless you came down very early it got really busy.

Stayed 2 nights for trip to Chicago. Property was very clean. Breakfast was very good with good choices. The front desk was very helpful. The breakfast server was outstanding, always saying good morning and keeping the area super clean. There is a Walmart about 3 miles away and many places to eat. I would definitely stay again.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Very clean good sized 2 bedded room on 2nd floor. Good size bathroom. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Stayed here as cheaper than staying in Chicago it's about 45 mins to central Chicago can be quicker or slower depending on traffic. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Found hotel to be quite I would stay here again.

Very comfortable. Great staff that helps you calm down from your travels. Breakfast was good. Not just a box of fruit w a bag of croutons sitting on a table while the manager barks at you across the room while simultaneously lighting a stinky incense and beating his wife for his religion.

We stayed for one night in order to make an appointment in that area the next day. It was one of the cleanest hotels I've been in. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was above average. If necessary, we would stay there again.

We come every year for my Dad's Birthday. We love the hotel. This time we were put on the 6th floor, but we'd prefer to stay on a lower floor the older we get. We almost feel like we're staying with family when we come because the same people are still working there year after year.

Check in wait was horrible. I gave my handicap accessible room to a handi-capped guest and had to wait for over an hour for a room. In the meantime, at least 11 other people/families were checked in. One lady was given a key to a room already being used.

My husband and I stayed here for one night after attending an event at Bottle and Bottega in LaGrange. We were VERY pleased with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. Our room was beautiful (wish I had taken some pictures) and seemed recently updated. The bathroom was big and spacious. It was shaped in a way that gave lots of room to move and there was a great deal of space on the sink counter, which usually we haven't found at other hotels. Even though it was a Friday night, it was very quiet. Breakfast was good and the dining area is huge. We had absolutely no complaints.

Our water pipes broke and we need to place to stay immediately and they were able to accommodate us. The only problem was the maid knocked on our door three times Before 10am to clean the room. Felt very rushed

as a guest and not being home for christmas, to be with my family and friends. i tried to make the best of it by relaxing and enjoy some solitude in the common area of the hotel. unfortunately it didn't work due to the manager kicking me out to have workers family xmas party. would have been nice if asked to join in but he wasn't very festive. spent the time in my room alone. mgr didn't have any holiday cheer for guest.

Second stay within the past month but this stay was less than satisfactory. The room was not cleaned in a timely nor thorough fashion. I will assume it was due to the holidays and understaffing. I will likely stay again with the hopes that my assumptions and their first impressions are right.

Great breakfasts consisting of different preparations of hot food on different days and wide selection of alternative items. Plenty of everything. Rooms very clean. Staff very helpful. Weight room nice, variety of machines.

Was close to where we needed to be, Good overall service, the only small complaint were the beds. 1 was sagging heavy in the middle, and the other one was very squeaky. Needs some new beds (in that room anyway)

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel every year for the past ten years. The hotel is a nice hotel and excellent value. Anytime we go to chicago we stay here and commute to downtown chicago. The breakfasts are always good and there is a nice on premises exercise room.

The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable. Check-in and check-out were efficient. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked with the basics (eggs, sausage, waffles, assorted breads and cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, teas, juices). We appreciated that the food was still warm and plentiful by the time we made it down to eat at 9am. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The tub faucet was leaking and would not shut off when we arrived. The mini refrigerator in the room was so noisy that we had to unplug it. The bed sheets were not changed at all during our stay, and one day the room was not serviced at all. Will never stay there again.

If the Holiday Inn next door is 3 star then this hotel is 2 star for not having a phone. I tried calling this hotel multiple times to inquire about their amenities, but their number has not been valid for at least a week. I called corporate to see what the problem was, or if the hotel changed their phone number. Nobody at corporate was even aware or seemed to care that their hotel does not have a working phone. What kind of competent employee or management allows the fact that their hotel cannot even be contacted.

Enjoyed our stay other than the Door from room to hallway slams shut, therefore is very loud in your room. Hear this all night and early in the morning. We really like the hotel, however, is this doesn't bother you, then you will enjoy. Clean, good breakfast, Friendly Helpful Staff. Easy parking.

Stayed at the hotel cuz we had a gas leak, easy to book, great rooms and very clean. Hotel was pretty quiet for a Saturday night which was nice because we were all tired! They have a noon check out which is awesome, most places it's 11am. It was nice having that extra hour to lounge around.

Perhaps this site has been recently refreshed, but I found it to be a good clean room and I'd return. There was a High School Hockey team staying so I was a bit concerned that it would be noisy, however, it was anything but. The breakfast was standard-nothing special, but it was laid out pretty well so people had some room to get around. The front desk staff, and maids were all quite friendly. My only issues were with the A/C as it never cooled the room down and kept shutting off. The other issue is that while being pet friendly, there is no place on the property to potty them. We did find a nice soccer field being the Holiday Inn next door. However, at three am the last thing I wanted to do was drive the dog over there for a wee.

Nothing stands out as exceptional or horrible so I would say it was average and not memorable except for the blue walls in the room. There is no pool, it is a tall building with 2 slow elevators and there are restaurants and some shopping nearby.

It allowed us to make reservations on line with a chain that we had been pleased with in the past. That being said, our room exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work and was reported. The mattresses were soft on the edges resulting in a feeling that you might fall when approaching the edge. Would I select Best Western again in the future - YES

I have a lot of great things to say about this hotel... -- Very Clean: I'm picky about bathrooms and this one was spotless -- Comfortable Beds: Nothing special, just cozy and soft, I really liked the pillows...some soft, some more firm -- Nice Decor: Lobby was updated and colorful, rooms were mellow and relaxing -- Shower: Lots of hot water, pressure perfect to get through my thick curly hair, could drink from the tap -- Staff: The first room we we went to had a broken air conditioner. A staff person came up within minutes to check it and then offered us a new room right down the hall. Very professional. -- Proximity: We were close enough to the zoo to take an uber and avoid traffic and parking. Very close to stores and restaurants, lots of delivery options too. We had planned to go into the city and an uber could take us, but decided not to for other reasons. -- Parking: Free and plenty of it! Safe area, felt comfortable leaving my new Jeep -- Food Delivery: Pizza delivery can come directly up to your room. This is a plus for evenings you don't feel like getting dressed. Microwave and Fridge in Room: Not much to say about this other than it's SUPER convenient when staying more than one night. Quiet: We were on the fourth floor right across from the elevators and found it very peaceful. I'm sensitive to sound and nothing woke me up or annoyed me while awake. Some so-so things... -- Breakfast: Your basic breakfast...nothing special, but not bad. If you're a breakfast eater, you'll find something, if you want fancy, there are plenty of places to go near the hotel. -- TV Options: This was very basic cable. There was Showtime...two channels...but as we know...Showtime isn't the greatest. If you're planning on spending a relaxing weekend in bed watching movies, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet hotel, and plan to watch Netflix on your laptop, then you'll be fine. Air-conditioner: A bit on the loud side, but that's coming from someone VERY sensitive to noise. I was able to sleep with it just fine, but noticed it while awake. Bottom Line: I'd readily stay here again. It's far enough out of the city to avoid crazy traffic, the free parking is a PLUS, and as stated above, it's very clean and quiet.

I stay here once a month and I would say, without exaggeration, that the gym equipment is broken 80% of the time. I have politely shared this with staff each time and nothing has improved. The breakfast is good. The rooms and other amenities are fine.

Had a very quick and friendly check-in. The room was spotless, furnishings were very nice. Location is great for shopping, restaurants, interstate access to 55. The only real complaint was the internet access. Both my wife and myself would lose connectivity every 10-15 minutes or so. It was a pain, but still an overall great stay.

This hotel has been fairly recently renovated and redecorated. It is really nicely done and really couldn't find a thing wrong with the room. Breakfast is good and staff are helpful. Everyone is professional!

My wife & I booked 2 nights to be near our daughter while she gave birth to her second daughter. When we entered the room the toilet was running. I shook the handle and it finally stopped. Over the next 15 hours we were in the room I had my hands in the toilet tank 4 times trying to make the dumb thing stop running. My wife got up at 5 AM and showered. When she was done the water never got hot. So we both had Luke warm showers - I HATE COLD SHOWERS!!!!! Breakfast was poor also - biscuits & gravy or scrambled eggs - not much choice. We checked out & went next door (a Holiday Inn)

Clean and Functionable location. Room was comfortable and had amenities - coffee pot and refrigerator. Enjoyed the shampoo and conditioner and enough towels. Location was adequate to get good meals and near a variety of stores. Also only a 20 minute drive to Midway Airport. I loved the hot breakfast buffet.

Communication was poor by the staff! The bride and groom had left a welcome bag for us when EE checked in was suppose to be a surprise . At the wedding the grooms father asked what I thought about the bag welcoming us to Chicago! I did not receive it!

Our room was pleasant, airy, bright, quiet and well-maintained. Staff was thorough and attentive. A genuine bargain and an over-all positive experience which I would do again, given the opportunity. I can think of no part of our stay at this property which was in any way wanting or unpleasant. The room was spacious; everything we needed was at our fingertips; bathroom was exceptionally clean and well-maintained; bedding, towels etc was spotlessly clean and soft.

This is a nice hotel.. very conveniently located with It back steakhouse in the same parking lot. The staff were very refreshing and so hopeful. The rooms are nice and very clean. I slept great the bed is very comfortable.

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in and my husband and I have visited quite a few states. The hotel smells so fresh and clean, which is very important to us. The price was less than what I have paid for some not so good hotels. We will be back.

This is a nice play to stay outside downtown Chicago. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet had a great spread and were tasty as well. The drive to Chicago was not so tough. It had free parking too. Overall a nice experience. No complaints.

Arrived in Chicago for a Women's Conference, I stayed at the BW twice. The first night and the last night before I left Chicago. Everything was good. The elevator went out and they only had one working elevator, however it didn't kill me to walk up a couple of flights of stairs. The elevator was fixed by the morning. That was great! For the money we paid it was well worth it. I like a clean, descent hotel and a comfortable bed. I will stay here in the future and the price was just right!

Best Western is highly recommended if you are staying in the Chicago area. It is 30 mins for the loop/magnificent mile. The free breakfast was great. Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, muffins, yogurt, cereal and make your own waffles. Breakfast is served from 6-9am. The room looked just like their website. The decorations throughout the hotel are trendy. The gym is small but have weights & good machines. Free parking, friendly & welcoming staff.

My overall experience with this hotel in particular was outstanding. I arrived early in the morning for a funeral and needed an early check-in to freshen up from driving all night, no hesitation at all! Thanks BW staff

I understand hotels like this. As a person who travels for a living there are many places like this and it's very frustrating when you try to rate them. This hotel has great potential and has great bones but the design of the rooms and the lack of expenditures on areas like your breakfast are inexcusable. As a best Western plus property it should offer something extra which it does not. This is not a bad asset it's just another property that will become a one star rated property within three years.

The hotel was great from the appearance to the friendly staff. Breakfast was the best I've had at a Best Western. The gym was also the best I've used and I travel 100% for work. For me bathrooms in hotels are very important and this location did not let me down.

A good experience began even before we arrived as I had to call the motel to clarify its location. The darling young lady behind the desk who answered was very sweet and understanding and guided us on in. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, internet was not optimal but got the job done. All the staff we met were professional and friendly. I didn't take time for my usual workout, so can't attest to the equipment - I prefer a pool, but this location does not have one. If I find myself in this area again, I would certainly stay here.

Hotel just seemed old and outdated. Hotel had an unpleasant smell. Staff was friendly. Rooms were low quality. Breakfast was low quality and it was packed so the food items were not restocked enough. We would not stay here again.

Short one night stay. Hotel was clean and nice. Breakfast could of been better quality was not good and options were limited. Hotel was close to shopping and other places. The visit was good and was good.

Every time we stay i get a good feeling. Satisfied, safe, secure. Clean friendly and caring environment . even though there is no pool its not missed. Make sure you dont miss the afternoon cookies:) resuraunts shopping bars fastfood and imax-3d bowling all within walking distance.

The only complaint why the elevators was broke there was a full weekend concert going on lots of people lots of wait time period. And the price was a little over-the-top because of that i think Which ist great

I shared a double room with two other women for a one-night stay, as it appeared to be the best hotel in the immediate area. The front desk staff was very pleasant. The room was very clean with nice decor, with all the amenities we appreciate - frig, microwave, iron, hair dryer. The bathroom was spacious...two could share the sink area. The breakfast choice was extensive, including eggs, sausage and waffles. Our room was very quiet. We noted that the bed size was a double size and not a queen size (this was the description on the reservation, too).

Very nice experience. The hotel staff was professional and courteous. Our room was perfect for the 1 night we spent in the LaGrange area. We were impressed at how clean our room, and the entire hotel appeared. Hotel pillows normally are very uncomfortable for me, but these were excellent!!! thank you, Best Western Countryside!!

It's a great place to stay in the area, easy to find, close to stores, shopping and many resturants, rooms are clean, good size, shower is nice an hot, quiet, I didn't hear a lot of noise from other guests.This is the first time that I have stay at this hotel and from now on it is my hotel of choice

reasonable price, still distance drive to downtown Chicago, but pleasant stay and standard breakfast for BW. place is a little bit run-down, needs some renovation to be nice again. Air-condition is too loud in the night. Carpet show some stains. A lot space in the parking lot.

One elevator was not working. The other elevator was not working properly and was not inspected regularly. Also police were called for a disturbance on 6th floor, which left us uneasy with the character of guests staying at hotel. Not a family friendly environment.

The hotel was very clean with a professional staff. buffet breakfast was good, for a hotel buffet style breakfast. Far enough from the city center to avoid a parking fee at the hotel. far enough away to cut the price way down so that a short drive and Park Whiz fee was $40 a day less than staying down town.

That's about all I can say. The desk clerks were rather rude. They only had one person on duty despite how busy this hotel is. Sadly one was the manager and there is nothing good or friendly to say about him. I'm a rewards customer and that certainly didn't matter here. Breakfast is the usual with a horrible lay out. We had to eat at a table for a large amount of people and we all looked awkward since you couldn't have a conversation without others listening. It's clean and within 20 minutes of Midway. Too bad they don't offer a shuttle. They lack in several areas that would make them a better choice.

I have become fond of staying at this hotel whenever I'm in the Chicago area. Convenient to the city but out just enough to escape the fast pace and noise of city life. Lots of shopping and restaurants convenient to the hotel are an added plus. Midway Airport just a few exits away.

We stayed here as we were traveling thru Chicago. Nice clean hotel. Can count on comfortable beds and working air conditioning at best western! Nice clean Lobby and renovated rooms. Don't let the outside fool you nice inside.

Super clean rooms, very good breakfast and the price is right for the nearby Chicago area. The staff is friendly, helpful and provided a shower seat for a handicap guest. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great customer service from beginning to end. Room and Hotel was clean. Food was great. Thumbs up to Megan and Carmen. One elevator was down. However we were not inconvenienced. We had a room on 6th floor. Travelled with children. Had clean bathroom, clean towels. clean bed and clean floor. Air Conditioning worked well. Internet was good. they even have a washer and dryer for guest. Great when travelling with an 18mth, 3 and 4 year old. No problem with parking. We will return. Keep up the good work.

nice upgrade, room size adequate, nothing special....but clean. breakfast passable but not wonderful......would only stay again if I had to be in that area, there's few choices there.....I chose it due to their loyalty program......

Recent updates. Very nice and clean. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Room was clean, smelled fresh. Bed was very comfortable and quiet. Front desk personnel was my only complaint. They don't keep regular check on lobby to see if guests are arriving, otherwise hotel was great.

Very nice property, well decorated lobby, very pleasant staff ALL ! Rooms were spacious, well decorated. Close to shopping, and restaurants, Easy access to 3 major Interstates. Staff was very helpful with directions from the hotel. All in all a very pleasant time.

Signage from main road is not good. Needs to be upgraded. Bathrooms need fans. Otherwise it is clean and comfortable. No swimming pool. Breakfast and bed quality as well as Wifi are all good. Staff is friendly and helpful.

And, when ever I have used Best Western I have been very pleased. The Best Western in Country Side Illinois. I find quite pleasing and will look to use it when every I am in the Chicago area. Checked into the room and immediately smelled like a gym, or wet dog, The sheets also smelled like they hadn't been changed or washed, You didn't have to put your nose down to smell, as soon as I walked in the room I could smell the odor and when I sat on the bed it was pretty bad, I thought I would give the Best Western a try but I will go back to the Holiday Inn next door, never had a problem there

Our stay overall was really nice. The hotel staff was great and extremely professional. The room was clean, the continental breakfast was good and the location was ideal, centered in close proximity to Chicago but still far enough away to experience a breath of fresh air.

Who doesn't love a renovated hotel? It's nice to have newer accommodations but this place was lacking. They transitioned to the "two sheets folded over the base comforter" model but unfortunately the sheets aren't long enough and you awake with a face full of unwashed comforter. Yuk. No USB outlets, the newer fridge is broken (lost $25 in cold food) and there's tile on the ceiling in the bathroom. My partner sneezed and it was deafening. Definitely a good place to sleep, the pillows offered a lot of support and but the bed is all coils. Breakfast included muffins, small doughnuts, eggs, and bacon. Coffee was enjoyable and convenient. In room heat was great at heating but "auto heat" never stopped and had to be shut off manually. #sweatlodge

Body hair on the bathroom floor, no lid on the coffeemaker, and our key lock did not work so the door could be opened without the additional lock(s) used. Door, frame and mechanism obviously hacked at multiple times as temporary fix. Toiletries not up to the usual stuff, very generic/basic.

Had a conference at the Holiday Inn next door -- cheaper than staying at the Holiday Inn and was able to check in early. Would have liked to have taken a swim, but this Best Western doesn't have a pool.

I normally do not stay at a Best western. I stayed due to area I was in the BW was the best location for me to stay in. I can say that the rooms, the staff were all very good. The only thing I did not like was the breakfast. Aside from that it was a very good experience. So much that I will add BW as one of my preferred hotels to stay at.

This hotel is listed on most travel sites as a 3.5 star hotel, on par with Hilton, Marriott and the like. When we arrived the hotel looks like an old Hampton Inn that Hilton refused to renew. They have tried to partially remodel adding tile to parts of the exterior and refreshing the lobby.. a close look can see that it was done cheaply and bad. Once we got to our room, the tv looses signal once an hour and you have to wait for the front desk clerk to wake up and answer the phone to reset the cable box, our air conditioning/ heater was broken and would randomly turn on throughout the night and make the room blazing or freezing to no avail. The beds and furniture are the cheapest to be found, closer to a 2star quality not the 3.5 star they advertised. In the bathroom there are cracked tiles in the shower and Mis matched tiles throughout. We needed extra blankets and they refused to deliver them... NOT a 3.5 star quality... we will not be staying again.

Clean and comfortable. Bed are comfy. Breakfast was usual fare: eggs, sausage patties, buiscuits, breads, waffles, yogurts, etc. Location is in a shopping area but restaurants are on a nearby strip that looks like part of old town. Works have loved to stay longer and enjoy browsing diem the sidewalks. There is a Trader Joe's nearby. Freeway access on and off was easy.

Clean, large rooms, quiet halls, 20 minutes from downtown Chicago, good breakfast. We always stay here and have a pleasant experience each time. What I want to know is why it is more money than some of the downtown Chicago hotels! Expensive for one night - $150 vs. downtown at $115ish prices. Only reason we stay outside of the city, is it is closer to family we visit.

Not far from downtown about 15 miles, close to major roads and expressway. Close to train service. Adequate parking, good illumination, ADA accessible. Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was always good, hot items hot, cold items cold. Good selection of items to choose from, eggs, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee tea and milk.

This hotel is situated in a great location and I felt safe especially not being familiar with area. Great restaurants and shops in the area. It was very clean and the front desk area was immaculate. Breakfast was good. The hotel staff were so very polite and professional. From the check in to check out was awesome. I will definitely be back if in that area. Very pleased.

This hotel was a very nice place to stay just outside of downtown Chicago. It was very clean and updated. Beds were comfy. Free hot breakfast and parking. Close to shops and restaurants. I would stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel any time we are back in that area will stay there. We enjoyed the breakfast a wide variety of foods. Always hot food, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, something for everyone. The bed was very comfortable, room clean & friendly, helpful staff. This is the first hotel that supplied guests with complimentary bottle water.

The stay was very nice. Breakfast was good. Many sections to choose from great that it wad close to interstate and stores. Close to restaurants. Staff was great! The only problem was it was hatd to get hot water . Had to take a cold shower. Didn't report it.

Generally clean and very nice lobby great area for a group to gather and socialize Breakfast was okay for a free breakfast at a hotel, I've had better but I've had worse or none offered. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

This Best Western is fantastic! I will definitely stay here again if we are in the area again. Easy to get to and a huge parking lot. Staff very friendly. The entry area was very nice and some of us sat there visiting til about 3am. The gentleman at the desk even turned on some music for us but said we couldn't turn it up too much as there were guests trying to sleep.....which we TOTALLY understood! He also answered all our questions in detailed conversation rather than a quick annoyed reply. The room was very clean, cheery décor and comfy beds. Coffee maker, microwave and fridge are all a nice touch to a hotel room! They have a nice variety for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the biscuits and gravy were and HOT! Enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend this Best Western!

We had a morning flight out of Midway and wanted to stay at a reasonably priced hotel fairly near the airport. This fit the bill. The Best Western Chicagoland - Countryside is a nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. We printed our boarding passes at the hotel and in the morning we took the Stevenson Expressway to Midway. You have to plan some extra time if you are traveling during rush hour.

My last experience with this property was several years ago when it was a Hampton Inn, and at that time there were several problems. New chain owners have extensively remodeled and it is now a lovely place. Hot breakfast was a treat as the egg & meat options varied every day. We stayed a week and ate something different every morning! All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. Will stay again our next trip to this area.

We had a wedding at the Holiday Inn however there were two other weddings that same night! We waited too long so was unable to get a room at the hotel. So glad we couldn't because the Best Western next door (located in same parking lot) is a great value! The hotel is newly remodeled/updated and very clean! We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the lobby (free coffee and cookies)! The room was 1 king bed and very spacious including the bathroom. We did not enjoy the free breakfast the next morning. We would definitely recommend staying here if you have a wedding at the Holiday Inn!

Room was very nice, clean, breakfast was delish. Close to Brookside zoo which was nice. Staff was very courteous. I wish we could have stayed longer. Close to midway airport and the rental car return.

Great location for those wanting to travel into the City of Chicago or out to the far Western Suburbs. Easy access to Interstate 55, Midway Airport accessible as well. Public transportation in the form of bus routes and train available. Plenty of parking. Clean and quiet rooms. Morning breakfast is typical, food is self serve. Hot and ready. Eating area is clean. Restrooms accessible on the lower level. ADA accessible. Staff friendly and polite.

Despite the number of people who seemed to be staying there, our room was very quiet! Room and beds were clean and comfortable. Staff was always pleasant, especially the lovely lady in the breakfast area!

A great place to stay when attending a function at the adjacent William Tell. It's comfortable and quite. The rooms are clean. The breakfast buffet serves a good selection of hot food and dry cereals, juices and there is always coffee brewing..

I am almost always happy with the Best Western hotels we stay in. In fact, Best Western is the only hotel chain to which we have a "rewards" card. We prefer Best Western for their consistency, breakfast, quality, and price.

i checked into the best western to meet family for a reunion, The place was clean smelled wonderful and the desk staff was on the ball and friendly. The free breakfast and 24 hr coffee bar sold me on coming back to chicago and staying at a best western.

Ants were all over entertainment center.. and two spiders crawled on me at aprox 230 am. Would recommend checking the room completely before unpacking your things And of coarse they had no other rooms so I had to stay in that room. Of coarse they said they would call pest control right away.

We used this hotel because it was close to the relatives we were visiting. A health crisis occurred in the family and we had to extend our stay for 3 days. Even though the hotel was booked they found a way to extend our stay in the same room. Thanks so much!

Nice rooms, friendly staff, convenient to events planned in the area. Nice spread of breakfast items and the computers with internet were handy. Good shopping and restaurants nearby and in the distance you could see downtown Chicago.

This is a good deal and convenient to get to downtown Chicago. Breakfast if good compared to many hotels. Many nice restaurants in the area. I especially like JC George's for family style dinner and Ledo's pizza for their shrimp. There's also a small Thai place about 1.5 miles north that is good.

Very clean, comfortable, in a good area where there are restaurants, shopping center, gas. Pleasant check-out. Even though we had to depart at 6AM they had a continental breakfast lay out with fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, juice, large variety of toast and muffins Internet worked easily to print out our boarding passes. Wifi worked good even on the 6th floor.

Great place to stay while in the Chicago Area---Convenient, easy reach of downtown. Great Price. This was my first visit to a Best Western and I will be staying here again. People friendly, convenient parking and a great breakfast!

Hotel is actually quite nice. Rooms are newer, clean and comfortable. Room are equipped with a fridge and microwave. It is getting more common not to have them in the rooms at other hotels. Breakfast is good, has all the items necessary to have a decent breakfast. Television programming is decent. There is no pool at this location, but has a work out facility. My biggest complaint is the internet. It is horrible. It takes forever to load any page, and is almost unusable. I have to check in for my flight, and will probably have to go down to the business center to log in and check in for my flight. If they could fix this, it would make a big difference. I probably won't come back here because of the internet.

We stayed here a few years back and the property hasn't improved much or changed, at least not visibly. Our room had ants and a few spiders in it, which we cleaned up ourselves (we travel a lot and carry cleaning supplies since some hotels seem challenged). The bed was somewhere between uncomfortable and average, good for a few nights, but I wouldn't trust my back on if for longer. The TV was bolted to a dresser and couldn't be moved. Problem is, you could only see the TV if on the bed, not from the desk or other areas of the room. Smokers hang out just outside the main entrance. The hotel seems to house a lot of temporary construction workers, many of whom smoke. Almost every time we re-entered the hotel, the smell of smoke lingered around the entry. I'd suggest the hotel enforce smoking regulations, and post a sign about how far from the entrance smokers should be. The only reason I give an Average is the breakfast was decent, workers nice and attentive, and location good. The hotel itself leaves something to be desired. For the price paid, it's doubtful we'll be back.

Very good hotel, great breakfast but the price can be within 100$ based on the amenities they provide. Also the location is quite far away from the downtown Chicago and difficult to find. Checkout staff was good but not the checkin staff at night.

Stayed here three days on a brief trip to visit family. Booked room with two double beds and the accommodation was excellent. Room had everything one needs to have a pleasant stay: microwave, iron and ironing board, coffee maker, small refrigerator, generous amounts of storage with wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bathroom was clean with fresh towels, which were changed each day. Bed was firm and pillows were comfortable. Could adjust room temperature and air conditioning system kept room nice and cool at night. Morning breakfasts were well prepared. One morning they served mini ham and cheese omelets, sausages, cereals, breads, fruits, waffles, and yogurts. The next morning they served mini cheese omelets and biscuits and gravy. Check in and check out was fast and their front desk staff is very courteous and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about this place and will stay here again when visiting Chicago.

Nice and clean hotel located close to Interstate 55 and 294. The area is calm and tranquil with a few restaurants around and even a shopping plaza. Friendly receptionists and good breakfast complete the offering by providing a good value for the price. Totally recommendable and I will be back if I pass through the area.

Recently renovated hotel in rooms and lobby area. Gym facilities excellent. Breakfast service had a real good variety of items, and main entrees varied on a daily basis. Very good value for a hotel a few miles from two major airports. Only issues included AC system which did not appear to be part of renovation effort and lack of hotel swimming pool. .

Staff was great and the room was clean. Couldn't ask for much more. I was in town for the Chicago Open Air Festival. I have always had great service staying at any Best Western, anywhere in the country. If you need somewhere to stay, close to Toyota Park, stay here.

My friend and I stayed here to attend a nearby visitation and funeral. The front desk staff was very efficient and friendly. The common areas as well as our room were immaculate. It was a quiet, soothing place to return to after the visitation, to settle in, watch a movie and regroup. Good, hot breakfast the next day before we set off for the funeral. Everything was modern and updated, which made staying here a very nice experience during a difficult time. Would highly recommend!

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days while visiting chicago as I was taking my brother to see some of the popular attractions of thr city. Check in and out: Our checkin was fast. The staff was friendly and gave us a couple of bottles of water at our arrival at no charge.8Check out was also fast. Location: We looked for a hotel close to downtown, however we could not find a good choice at a reasonable price. We decided then to look at the Midway airport area, where we found this one. We drove our car to downtown a couple of times. It was20 to 25 minute away, which is still ok, considering the traffic in chicago. Room: We requested a double queen bed. The room was clean and we had a nice stay. Rate: we found a rate a little above $100. We thought it was ok as there were other more expensive options . Others: - Parking is included, so you dont really pay extra - which is a challenge when you look for a place close to downtown. - Breakfast was included. - Not too far from downtown (20 to 25 minutes) I would definitely consider staying here again.

Clean, comfortable accommodation on the outskirts of Chicago. It's conveniently located right on Historic Route 66 and we stayed overnight at the start of our tour. The breakfast and coffee's not too bad either.

Overall quite satisfactory considering price and location. Easily accessible due to location near Hwys I 294 & I 55 and only 15 mins drive to downtown Chicago. Only disappointment is that there is not many restaurant around to choose from, although there is a great super market, Tony's down the road.

Had to have shower looked at. I pulled hard enough I thought water should turn on. Front desk sent man up to look at it. He just jerked on it and it came on. I was afraid I was going to break it, Worked fine after seeing how hard you had to jerk it and push to turn off. I had to turn on for my wife because she couldn't pull hard enough. The morning we checked out they were having a car show. They let the cars park right at the front door. There was no way we could pull up and load our baggage. No respect for customers.!! The whole lot out next to road was empty. Our last night our floor had all kind of noise and door slamming going on at midnight until 130 am, Looked like same people involved with car show. Breakfast was cold. Omelets and biscuits were cold even though were kept in warmer. We ride motorcycles(not this time) in groups and have stayed at Best Westerns because we are HOGS and Rider Rewards members. They have let us park bikes under awing before But we always respect others and leave driveway open. Had to double flush toilets. Room key had to be reprogramed after being away all day. Several other guest discussed same problem. No Ice maker on our floor. Just an empty room with sign telling us where Ice was located .

I always look forward to my stay at the Best western in Countryside, IL as I have done for many years. I have come to know many of the employees who are helpful and friendly. When visiting the Chicagoland area I will always stay at the Best Western.

Stayed here recently for one night while visiting Chicago for a game. Staff were friendly and the hotel room was very nice. We drove from the hotel to the train station at midway airport and parked there ($5 for a day) and took the orange line into the city center ($3 single trip, and takes about 25 mins). This worked out very well. It is about a 10-15 minute drive from the hotel to the station. There are closer hotels to the station but they were full, and this one was in a good area. The breakfast was only okay, with no eggs, sausages or bacon, but an egg slice and biscuits and gravy,as well as muffins, fruit and cereal. Overall it was a nice place and good value.

Our family stayed for 3 nights in this Motel to travel Chicago. The building of this motel was very modern and new. Very large space of parking lot!!! In weekend, you can reach Chicago downtown in around 30 minutes. But, If you are in weekdays, expand more 20 minutes. Everything was Good except one thing. There is NO POOL !!!

I wasn't expecting much for a 2 star establishment but it was better than I expected. The room was clean, quiet, the staff was very friendly, and breakfast was included. And best of all parking was FREE! A little overpriced but to be fair we were there during the Blues Festival and graduation time so all rooms in the area were overpriced. I would stay here again.

We spent one night at this Best Western while on a family trip. The hotel lobby was clean and welcoming. Our room had a king-sized bed and the room was comfortable and very clean also. A refrigerator and microwave were included, which was a nice convenience not found everywhere. The included continental breakfast was basic (waffles, fruit, items to make breakfast sandwiches) but they kept it well stocked and fresh. The location was in a safe and quiet neighborhood, with a wide variety of fast food and other restaurants within a couple of blocks. While we did not drive into downtown Chicago, you could see a view of the skyline from the parking lot, and we think that you might be able to see it if you are on a top floor north-facing room. The drive downtown would have been under an hour. We were a short and easy drive to the Brookfield Zoo. We would stay here again if we're traveling in the area.

This hotel is a good deal for the area, and it is very secure and comfortable. Indoors, you do not realize how close you are to a busy intersection with shopping and food choices. You are a few miles from La Grange and mass transit to downtown Chicago.

I have stayed at many hotels in the past year for work. I have to go where work sends me as far as hotels. The cont. breakfast at best western is well, I will just get fruit and stop somewhere to eat. Coffee is bad and the food is either really greasy or just not worth eating.

This hotel was picked because of the proximity to the bowling alley next door, but it turned out to be one of the better hotels we have stayed at for our bowling tournaments. The hotel was clean, the staff was efficient, and the breakfast was excellent!

Room with king size bed was clean and contained a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Bed was comfortable and bath was stocked with good products and plenty of towels. Josh at the desk is very helpful and is customer orientated. Not a fan of continental breakfast, and the hot breakfast was bland. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked, and the staff attentive. One can walk next door to the bowling alley and get a really good breakfast at a good price. I'd stay in the hotel again.

I needed a motel close to Chicago. The BW Countryside was perfect. Easy access from I-55 and 40 minutes from the Lincoln Park area. Staff was courteous and professional. The room was clean and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

The BW countryside is a decent property for the location. It is well located for my business trip needs. it is clean, comfortable, quiet. That's all I want. I don't need a glitzy resort. I'm working! so it was just what I needed.

The hotel was well presented, the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, the breakfast was high quality and the coffee was above average. Overall, this is one of the nicest Best Westerns in which I have stayed.

Courteous staff, clean, quiet and priced affordabley. Nice options at the buffet style breakfast as well, for hot and cold items.. The staff offered to arrange a taxi for me to Midway airport and back for $22 each way :) Parking my car at the motel while I traveled was at no extra charge, as I flew out and back to Dallas same day.

First time I stayed with BW longer than 2 days. Recommended. Good place for the price you pay. Location close to a outdoor shopping mall, it is pretty convenient. Breakfast is well served and fresh. Internet is not that great though but at least you can check your emails.

Upon check-in the room we received had filthy sheets and bathroom. The second room was ok. The continental breakfast was sparse, with limited fruit. The exercise room had a non-working elliptical, but was able to use the treadmill.

This is a very nice/excellent hotel, I was not expecting it to be so nice and clean, the check in went smooth and even though it was a group check in ahead of me, things went smooth. The breakfast was very nice, I didn't care for the cream beef but everything else was GREAT! It states near Midway, it's not that close, about 30 mins away.

We departed this Best Western on 3/17/16 for Kansas. Upon arriving home in Kansas I discovered that I left my book in my room. Inside the book was a bookmark my youngest son made for me when he was 6 years old (he is now 17). It has much sentimental value to me. That night, my husband called the front desk and spoke with Anabel; she was very gracious and helpful. My husband arranged for UPS to pick the book up the following day. They were instructed to see Anabel for the pick up. Several days passed when we realized the book had not delivered to my home as UPS had promised. My husband again called UPS and cancelled the pick up. UPS just could not make this happen. He then called Best Western again. Anabel answered the phone. My husband explained the situation to Anabel, we thought we were out of options. Due to the sentimental attachment I have to the bookmark in this book, Anabel took it upon herself to send the book to me via regular mail. We received the book and bookmark, I am beside myself with joy!!! To think this young lady would be so helpful and go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of.

Everything very nice except for the constant running of the toilet. They offered to move me the last night but it wasn't worth the hassle. Other than toilet room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and well stocked and cleaning 9f ros was very sufficient.

The remodeling of this Best Western is just gorgeous and they keep everything very clean. The only bad thing was the wi-fi, but it's not a game changer. Still a very nice place to stay when visiting family. It's the only place we'll stay when we come visit my Dad for his birthday

The front desk offered excellent customer service. The full breakfast buffet was fantastic with hot and cold offerings of various kinds. The hotel looked newly renovated, was clean and visual aesthetics were wonderful. The buffet area and lobby were very modern looking and was a pleasant place to hang around in. The only complaint we had was the beds were not very comfy. That was the only issue we had. The hotel staff helped us find dining areas within a 5-10 min radius of the hotel and we ended up eating out at a very happening Mexican restaurant where the food was really yummy. Might consider staying there again but the beds were some what of an issue for us as far as comfort. We did not sleep well. Everything else was great.

My father in law always stays here when visiting Chicago, and since we went for a family trip, we had to stay here too. Not the place that I would have picked as I would have rather stayed downtown, but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the rooms were. The breakfast in the morning was also actually very good. I didn't use the weight room, but I did have to use the business center (which is a couple of computers set up with a printer at the entrance), and that came in really handy when I had to do something for work. Also, this hotel is very inexpensive compared to other Chicago hotels and would probably be a good option for someone on a budget, without sacrificing comfort and amenities. Also, there is free parking which is a plus because the last time my husband and I were in Chicago we stayed at the Sofitel and paid about $60 a night to park. There is also a bowling alley in walking distance to this hotel and it does have a bar. However, you might not find much else around the area that is within walking distance.

Check in was easy and went quick. I use my CLC card since I travel for my work. They were very helpful and knew how to bill my card. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are nice and soft, but not too soft. Bathrooms are clean. Food is good. Nice place to stay and I would recommend this place again. Our job requires me to be here for about 2 months, and I will not stay anywhere else. Thank you Best Western!

My dad and I were traveling to downers grove for my interview at Midwestern University and we stayed at this hotel. It was a nice and clean newly remodeled hotel with very nice rooms. The front desk was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Would recommend this hotel if traveling in this area we really enjoyed our stay!

I was in town due to the illness of my brother. I ended up staying two weeks at this hotel and was so pleased with the friendly atmosphere, cleanliness and value of BW Countryside. I came and went at all hours of the day and always felt safe from the parking lot to my room. The laundry was helpful, and a surprise.

2nd time I have stayed there & think it's terrific value. Tons of free parking, efficient check in, remodelled rooms - the bathroom in particular was brand spanking new, & great value at a little over $100 for the night. I can never understand why hotels like this get negative reviews. It fits a specific type of traveller & price point very well & if you are looking for all the trimmings go upmarket to a 5 star hotel & pay the price. I particularly like the close proximity to Walmart & the accompanying large strip mall, restaurants, & even a cinema. Close to Midway Airport I can highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and room were clean and very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with no hot water in the shower. Breakfast was good, better than some. Overall nice hotel. We would stay there again.

No heat in rooms and this was on new years eve. we complained to front desk, they took us extra blankets to both rooms that we had reserved. why couldn't they given us other rooms.. it was very noisy in hallway and other rooms. the next day when we were going to check out the elevators didn't work. people from house keeping said they don't work. seems that this happens very often .we went from third floor to lobby through stairs luggage and all. as we get to lobby there are around 6 to 8 cops, didn't know what was going on but didn't feel very safe.. there was 4 of us and we just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. this was a very poor new years eve that we has due to best western hotel. we travel about 14 to 18 days per year and we had never had such a bad experience.

I read 10 reviews 2 were negative...It was beautiful found out it was remolded in this last year. It was very clean and sparkling for the Christmas season,. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable. They seem busy, I was happy for them about that. Food was good spacious seating with windows, with several TV. I will use this again when I drive into Chicago to visit my friends. this Hotel is within 20 of Midway. 10min of Brookfield ZOO. 10 min of Joliet Mall, about 35min of down town Chicago. Several little towns has wonderful walking area and restaurant

This Best Western met all of our expectations for a weekend trip! The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, parking was ample and the breakfast items were fresh. Would also recommend for business.

Needed a hotel close to family for the night, this worked out perfect. This is our second stay at this hotel, works out every time. Clean rooms, friendly staff nice breakfast. Close to good restaurants in Countryside/ Lagrange area.

I have been to this motel quite a few times and will continue to come here when in this area. This is a SAFE area to come to and no fear of property damage or worse to your car in the parking lot over night.

We stayed in the second-floor room and it took forever to get hot water to us. The room heater was not very efficient, it kept cycling on and off repeatedly and we could never maintain a comfortable room. Overall the bed was comfortable, the room was well set up, and the hotel is very nice. We will return. My wife wishes me to add that if you have severe allergies their cleaning products here will kill you. I guess I will be returning alone.

Very clean rooms, modern lobby and rooms. Interior much nicer than the exterior building. It was a nice surprise. Very convenient to downtown LaGrange and Midway airport. Reasonable rates by Chicago standards.

There was a cigarette butt on our floor when we got there, the room/hotel had an extremely strong smell of smoke all weekend. It was so strong that it made it hard to sleep. The room was not cleaned well enough.

A great place to stay if visiting Chicago - well worth the short commute to the city centre. The area is safe with all amenities close by, The Hotel itself is in great shape, nice staff - it represents good value for money.

Stayed here three nights Oct. 2015. The hotel itself was clean and well kept. The front desk employees needed to be a bit more friendly since they are in the hospitality business. When we checked in on Friday afternoon, the young man who checked us in, acted as if he didn't want to be bothered. He didn't tell us where our room was located, we asked. When we got to our room, it wasn't what we had booked (it had a king bed when we needed two queens). So when we went back downstairs to get the right room, the employee, again "thrilled" to do his job, changed our room. Upstairs to our new room, only to have the key not activated. Back down, for him to activate, with not an apology or some kind of concern whatsoever. Throughout our stay, when arriving and/or exiting, there was no welcoming efforts given by any of the staff members. Except once, from a lady working the late night (Sunday).

This is a very nice hotel. The exterior and grounds are well kept. The lobby area and breakfast area are large and well maintained. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well decorated. The staff here is very friendly and very helpful. Our cleaning service was excellent...never a missing towel, washcloth or coffee bar items. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chicago and wanting to stay in the suburbs.

Just enjoyed my second stay at this hotel Friday and Saturday nights, and liked the new modern decor that's been completed since my first stay. Prompt service at check-in, requests easily accommodated by staff. Very clean and comfortable beds, great flat screen TV, small fridge and microwave discreetly placed in the room, and coffee pods with brewer. Free breakfast included sausage, eggs, yogurt, cereal and pastries in the much nicer than average dining area. Convenient location to my family, shopping, dining and other area attractions. It's my choice every trip when I'm in the Western Springs area.

That was a good stay at The Best Western. The staff was very helpful since the check-in, recommending a nice place for a burger, calling me a cab. It was located outside Chicago, but great for what I needed in the area. Comfy beds, good and clean bathroom. The breakfast was really poor, but that was something I expected.

We chose this hotel over the hotel next door where the wedding reception was held because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Everything was superior to the rooms of family staying next door.

I picked this hotel based on the reviews I read, and it did not disappoint! This hotel was newly remodeled, very nice decor including the rooms. Comfy bed (although may be too soft for some), great in-room amenities, clean, very nice FREE breakfast, convenient to downtown and other suburbs, friendly staff, and best of all GREAT PRICE! I am definitely going to stay here again the next time I plan a trip for my family.

We lived in the area for years and moved to Florida 3 years ago. We visit Chicago frequently and started to stay here on our visits since it is close to our old home and Midway Airport. They have went through a remodel and the place is looking GREAT! It had some rough times.but will be Fantastic. Staff is great and rooms; even through remodel, were clean, neat and tidy. Complimentary Breakfast is Fantastic. Associates are the best. We stay roughly 3 times a year. Tracey H? always greets us with, "We've been waiting for you, Mrs. & Mr. L." How Wonderful! See you in November.

Very nice reasonably priced Best Western Hotel and a good choice if you're staying on the outskirts of Chicago. Stayed in September of this year. I hope I'm at two hundred characters now. I guess not .

We weren't here very long because we got in late at night and left early the next morning but I can tell you that our room was very neat and clean and the outside and lobby area of the hotel also seemed very well kept up and clean. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

I booked this hotel to attend my 50th High School Reunion at another hotel nearby. This one was available, and I couldn't be happier staying at the Best Western over the class headquartered William Tell Hotel next store. Very comfortable and spacious room with a King size bed, nice HD TV, refrigerator, microwave, FREE WI-FI. and a great complimentary breakfast (for which they charged $20 at the other hotel, without the same quality). The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I couldn't have asked for better service. I don't know who jwrw who wrote the bad review about "unfiendly staff' was talking about. These folks were great. Highly recommended as a mid-price hotel with all ot the amenities.

This is a nice hotel with very unfriendly front desk staff. Josh, front desk supervisor has little communication skills. As a business traveler that stays at Best Western hotels over 200 nights a year I rate this hotel low in service because of the unfriendly front desk staff.
