Best Western Plus Finger Lakes Inn & Suites

This place is absolutely disgusting. Room was filthy, including bathroom and stairway. Elevator broken. Staff rude and disrespectful and unable to properly communicate in English. Overpriced. Do not stay here, you couldn't pay me to step foot in there again.

This was my second time staying at this location and it is competitively priced with the local chain hotels. The lobby is nice and welcoming. The staff is pleasant. I haven't tried the breakfast, but it looks like a great assortment. I would have preferred a smart TV, but there are a lot of channels available and some free on-demand shows, which is nice. The rooms are a good size with refrigerator and microwave. Beds are comfortable. Chairs are comfortable. Good lighting. Blackout curtains are nice. I loved that I could open the window a little bit. Water pressure was good in the shower and the shower head is a good height. Ample parking. Nice location, close to Wal-Mart, major roads, mini-golf.

Best location if you are playing at the Lumber Yard. .5 miles away. Miniature golf next door to hotel, no driving. Very close to colleges. You are within 15 minutes to many decent restaurants. Would stay again.

We picked this hotel for the price, breakfast, and pool availability. The location was a little out of the way (had to travel 30 minutes each way for any activity around Ithaca). Breakfast options were limited and the food was not very tasty (not to mention the pancake machine was broken one day). There was a lot of noise from our upstairs neighbors and the pool broke during the second day, so we could not use it. Definitely not worth the money paid for this run down property (which was falsely advertised as recently renovated).

Hotel is just outside of Cortland. Easy check in and out. Room was clean, bathroom clean. Hallway coulda' used an extra vacuuming but not a big deal. Breakfast had hot and cold items; quite tasty and well represented. Plenty of parking. Closest restaurant is one mile away; an easy walk or drive. I would stay here again.

Clean and spacious room. No odors. Good quality toiletries. Comfortable bed. Adequate internet. No recycling bin for cans, plastics, glass, paper. Typical breakfast fare. Location for my purposes was fine. Not walkable to anything. Overall an ok stay.

The rooms could have been a little cleaner.. And having enough breakfast especially early would have been great. Otherwise the location was good for the tournament.. The staff was friendly & there was definitely enough parking..

My son and I stayed here for one night for a baseball tournament. He had a very early game, and they made sure to put breakfast out early for him before his game. We were so appreciative!! Not many hotels would do this and I want to make sure they know we appreciated it!

This particular hotel had multiple issues. We had problems at check-in for the guest services to even find our reservation despite the fact I had a confirmation. The elevator broke and my elderly mom had to navigate stairs. The TV remote didn't work and we requested help but it wasn't resolved. The shower head was broken, we requested help it wasn't resolved. Gym facilities were outdated, in poor / broken condition. There was also a lot of road noise, but this didn't bother me when I had the air on. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for the price of $250+ that they charged us.

I usually stay here when moving my son into/out of his apartment at College Suites (he is a student at Cortland) and this hotel never disappoints. Always clean. Always friendly. And their comfy mattress is great when you spend the whole day driving or moving boxes!

Very efficient front desk staff. They were very friendly and well informed about the local area and events. The room was spotlessly clean. Beds comfortable with extra pillows on each bed. I had a suite with a pull out couch which afforded extra room. Excellent breakfast with a friendly kitchen staff member. Great location and easy parking.

This place looks nice, but attention to detail is lacking. Sheets were not clean. Breakfast area and juice machine were dirty. Front desk was argumentative when approached about it. You would do well to pick a different option in Cortland.

Rude and incompetent staff that's not willing to help in any capacity. I was unable to make my reservation and when I spoke to the hotel front desk about it, they simply hung up on me and refused to assist. Avoid this hotel and stay somewhere else.

The facility, including my room, was clean. It was also very quiet, which I appreciated. The website indicated that there's Internet, but there isn't. There was a sign on the front desk saying it wasn't working. I had an important zoom meeting and had to go elsewhere for it. When I asked the manager about discounting my bill to account for no Wifi, he told me he has complaints in with the Attorney General and two senators. He refused to reduce my bill. I suggested taking the info off the website, that it's misleading and he replied that there are too many websites. A surprising lack of customer service in this day and age... Breakfast was eh. Not much of a selection - all carbs with a few apples and some yogurt. I had also originally intended to book two nights - Thursday and Friday. The price for Friday night was more than double Thursday night, so I didn't book it.

We were staying while my mother was in comfort care, and we needed to extend from our original reservation 2 or 3 different times and they were most accommodating and very understanding of our situation.

The hotel is situated 30 minutes from Ithaca so very convenient to go there. The breafast is the muffins, cereal and coffee. There is a coffee maker in your room as well as a refrigerator and microwave. Best to bring your own food not much is provided. The room is clean but there is no room clean up service for a 2 night stay. They don't make your bed or anything.

The Best Western Plus in Cortland New York is one of our favorite places to stay. We have family nearby and have stayed at the Best Western multiple times. My children and I love it there. When we checked in this last time we brought our bags in, curled up on the beds and could have just put up our feet & relaxed in the room for the rest if the trip. Breakfast has a little something for everyone and although we didn't use the pool on this trip when we have in the past it's been a great place for the kids have fun & use up energy.

The hotel when you first walk in was nice get to the check in the person was not friendly get to the room the floors were not vacuumed dirty towel dirty toilet paper on the roll wrapper on the floor behind the toilet inside of fridge was dirty outside windows were very dirty breakfast was very minimal muffins bagels or small cinnamon rolls and yogurt for the price I paid I was expecting a nice breakfast especially when it says continental breakfast won't be staying again find somewhere else to stay

Was in the area for my sons soccer camp. This is a beautiful hotel. It smells so good when you walk in and all through out. Clean, updated and so quiet. Beautiful grounds. Nice and friendly staff. You wont be disappointed. Claudia.

The owner is the most disagreeable man I have encountered in the service industry. Rude and dismissive. Place needs a thorough cleaning. Stairway scone lights had huge cobwebs. People got stuck in the elevator. Never again. Lots of other choices, go there.

Advertised full breakfast but only had bagels and cereal. Complained and staff blamed me for not reading “disclaimer” on web site about reduced service during covid. Said it had been that way for over 2 years.

Do yourself the favor and stay at another hotel in the area. The rooms are filthy and have really bad odor. Front desk and owners are extremely rude. I literally had to go to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies to clean the room as they refused to change my room. The continental breakfast is just a bagel in a ziplock bag. Just do yourself a favor and look past this hotel. It will be a nightmare of a stay.

In area where almost to customers, paid $124 plus taxes and never in week stay had service to room, and start stay at $116 then over $200 plus tax on Friday night, then when almost empty charged higher rates!

Room was dirty not cleaned or prepped prior to entering. Moved to another room then told that room was for someone else. Had to move back to orig room, they cleaned but not well. I cleaned all surfaces with clorax wipes you can't imagine filth. Remote semi worked. Needed new one. Hallway dirty all 5 days never vacuumed. Faucet handle broke. Room smelled like French fries had to spray air freshener to get rid of smell.

Extremely disappointed in this hotel. Upon arrival, we found our room completely filthy and smelling like smoke. There was debris all over the carpet and couch, mirrors clearly hadn't been cleaned, hair in the bathroom and on the beds, empty tissue box, broken lightbulb and a nasty toilet- both inside as well as outside. When we inquired about this, the owner had to “go see it for herself”…. She returned to us telling us that she vacuumed herself and she doesn't believe there is a smoke smell because they don't allow smoking. She then proceeded to tell us that her and her husband had been out of town at a conference and the cleaning crew had already left for the day. *If you do plan to stay here, there is a Walmart close by for you to pick up cleaning supplies and air freshner(s)….. that's what we did! :(

First impressions of a place are the front desk and this place failed. I made a reservation. It sounded like the guy was taking the call from his living room with a TV blaring right next to him. He did not offer to email a room and rate confirmation, like all other hotels do, just hurriedly gave me a reservation number and ended the call. An hour later it was reported that the area was under a major snowstorm warning. I called back immediately to cancel and the woman not only refused because it was within 24 hr of the reservation, but told me they were not getting snow. I explained I was not told it was a non-cancellable reservation, and again pointed out the severe weather. She again said there was no snow, that her “son was a doctor and was flying in” and there was no snow predicted (???????????), and HUNG UP ON ME! Sure enough the area got 11 inches of snow. Fortunately I was able to reach a Best Western PROFESSIONAL in time, who cancelled the reservation. This owner and his wife are unprofessional and do not belong in the hospitality business.

This place advertised Hot Breakfast, but when we got down it was pre-packaged bagels and muffins( stale). There was a toaster to toast the stale items and some old fruit. The heater/AC blew on us on the Bed all night. We turned it off but the room got too cold and had to turn it back on. Overall a very poor service.

While not failing in any fundamental way (nothing was filthy, it wasn't noisy or dangerous), this hotel is a mess. Here are some things that were at least 'temporarily' broken... The fireplace in the lobby, the lobby water decoration, the phone in the entryway used to contact the front desk during off hours, our wall thermostat, our faucet which barely dribbled water, the pool. Breakfast is the bleakest possible collection of stale English muffins and fruit, no eggs, no waffles or hot food other than maybe toast. Snow removal took 2 days. The internet download speed was 1.5 Mbps, about 1/6th or less of a reasonable standard. The parts of the experience that are working put this hotel in a pretty basic lodging class. Like a Motel 6 with bigger bars of soap and nicer bedding. My oversized room was 160 dollars a night with the BW rewards member rate. Not good.

Very happy to have found this place. Staff super friendly and polite, clean room and comfy bed! I'll be booking all my Cortland stays here from now on! Front desk and housekeeping staff extremely polite and friendly!

From the amazingly apathetic night staff to the utterly non-existent breakfast and fitness center, plus the horrifying rollercoaster of the uninspected elevator, and the burned-hair smell of the in-room heater... honestly, this place was not at all worth the money I paid for it. I didn't expect gold-plated toilet-seats, or anything, but I expected what was advertised, which included a full breakfast bar and a fitness center.

This hotel is very clean and stylishly appointed. All amenities worked. King size bed was very comfortable. Water in the showers is excellent- NOT SOFT, so it is possible to wash off the soap. The staff were very professional and courteous.

The owners and their staff are absolutely amazing, helpful and friendly. We will not stay anywhere else in the area!!! It's our home away from home!!! It's very rare to find a place that we feel so comfortable!!!

We had higher expectations than what we got. Stayed at a Best Western Plus in Lewisburg, Pa, and it was great. This hotel was not. The main complaint would be the cleanliness of our room. (mainly stuff left behind from other guests). Tissue, partial glass of water, and room key left on nightstand. Six pack ring between refrigerator and wall. Wrapper, penny, and keycard sleeve on floor behind headboard. Stains on carpet, and slow bathroom sink drain, (not very appealing).

This is like a pretend hotel - it looks like a hotel, but there's no infrastructure. Our room lacked sheets and blankets for the second bed, the pull out coach was springy and mean, and there was no coffee available at breakfast. Over priced. I'd sooner camp.

I and my family had a great experience. The hotel is gorgeous and the owners go above and beyond in every way. We felt comfortable and impressed. It made the struggle of getting our kitchen renovated a little less stressful. Thank you for providing such a needed space in the area and for all you do.

This is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many over the years. Not only was this place filthy, the man running the check in counter was hostile and extremely rude. A mean human is an understatement. He complained about lack of help and how we should not expect housekeeping or any additional towels, blankets etc. We actually cut our stay short. I will post some photos for you all. I highly recommend you DO NOT stay here.

100% satisfied with the service, cleanliness, value, location, sleep quality and rooms at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the Cortland Area. We were visiting for our daughters Graduation Celebration. Hotel extremely close to school.

We had to be in town early and didn't want to travel too far. We booked this because the last time we had early appointments we picked the place due to price...Never again.. We have used Best Western for many years. Always had great trips. This trip was wonderful...

This place is a 10! Friendly staff excellent clean room. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Cortland. The coffee, juice, muffins and bagels was delicious. The check in check out was speedy. They were so accommodating!!

The hotel is very clean outside and in, with plenty of available, free parking. The rooms are clean and comfortable with very large, clean bathrooms. The internet service is reliable and quick, too. The hotel is conveniently located within minutes of Ithaca and Cortland and the price is great, given all of the offered amenities.

Horrible. Overnight staff was rude and distracted the entire shift by her tv shows. No heat. Broken lamp. Stayed one night in the king suite left, came back two days later for a Tuesday to Thursday stay in the king suite and because we arrived too early after working for 48 hours straight and being ready to just crash, we still had to pay for the two nights but had to leave eleven am WEDNESDAY. NEVER EVER EVER again will we use this hotel unt things are corrected for this BS. Which I am almost certain they never will be, so BEST WESTERN just lost my business until further notice!!!

Excellent room meeting COVID-19 standards. Very personable and attentive staff at check-in, check-out, and at breakfast. I will definitely return to this Best Western whenever I am in the Cortland area.

As the newest property in Cortland, the building is far superior to anything else in the area. Most other hotels in this college town are run down or of the, ahem, hourly rental variety. Room and furnishings are on par with a mid-scale hotel such as Hampton or Comfort. Staff attentiveness and service remains their downfall. Twice I've been billed for what was supposed to be a loyalty points stay. After 6 months, they're still "cancelling breakfast for safety reasons" when most hotels have found ways to offer comp breakfast safely (grab and go, pre-order, staff served, etc). Location is just south of the city in a beautiful country setting. A nearby hotel is currently being renovated and will be the first Marriott flag in Cortland, and I'm hoping this will provide a more solid guest experience -- and, perhaps, force BW to step up their game a little.

This is our fourth visit to the Best Western Fingerlakes Inn & Suites in Cortland,NY to visit our grandson at the college. It will also be our last. We booked two nights and went out the morning of the second night while the housekeeper was on our floor. Upon returning at 3:00PM we entered the room and found it had not been attended to.; no fresh towels and bed not made. Having paid full price, we expected service. I was told at the desk that we had been notified that these services were not offered during our stay due to Covid. However, we were not told or notified when we reserved the room and there was no notice at the counter. I also explained to her that the housekeeper had been on our floor and did not notify us either. Contacting two other hotels in town, they told me they certainly will service the room each day. Sorry to say this will be our last visit to this hotel when visiting our grandson.

My boyfriend and I attended a family wedding out in Cortland so we decided to stay in town for the night. It ended up down pouring at the end of the wedding so we were soaked and ready to check-in, clean up and relax. This hotel is beautiful! However, check-in was rough. There was a bell to ring, which I did but still waited more than a few minutes. I got impatient and went to find the employee. She was sweet. We received a room right next to the lobby and it seemed like a handicapped room. It was super clean! But for me the bed was uncomfortable and I never have issues with beds which surprised me. The soap dispensers in the soap were all out so had to ask for bottles which was no big deal. But the lady seemed a little huffy and puffy because I was being "needy" but she did get me everything I was asking for. We ended up leaving earlier than usual in the morning because of my issue with the bed. The gentleman at checkout was very nice. I would give this hotel another change if we're out that way again. I would just request a room on the second floor and test the bed before settling in for the evening. I'm just very picky!!

I spent a week in Cortland, NY and chose this hotel in big part because of their high cleaning standards during this crazy COVID-19 time! The hotel was very clean and the front desk staff welcoming. It's unfortunate that non of the usual amenities were available, but completely understandable and safer right now!

This hotel has an impressive lobby. Rooms on the first floor had very high ceilings. The pool was clean and a nice size. The breakfast area was quite large with a variety of foods. Everything was clean, orderly, and quiet. We had a great rest and will recommend this hotel to others!

The hotel is updated and offers great amenities and service. Excellent pricing in the local area. It is convenient to local shopping and dining out. My only complaint was the food selections for breakfast.

We were moving out of one house and our new house isn't available yet so we stayed at the Best Western. We arrived after midnight and requested late departure. We were given until noon. Our stay was short but everything was pleasant.

We stayed here while travelling back to Ontario from Florida. The open lobby was welcoming and check-in staff welcoming. Room was a comfortable size. Tv remotes did not work well and the automatic closure on the bathroom door somewhat annoying...

Many of the staff members were rude during our stay. Traveled to hotel with my sons sports team, we requested a block of rooms & they scattered us throughout then yelled at us constantly for noise. My son, among other kids, developed rashes after swimming. I paid extra for a larger room which was right by the elevator & it was incredibly slow & loud. Only thing pleasant was the older gentlemen that checked us in and out & even did our breakfast.

Resevered a block of rooms and we were all spread out through the hotel. Kids were yelled at the entire stay for making too much noise. They knew they booked a youth hockey group when I called. When I checked in I asked for our rooms to be together and they said they dont do that. I told them to be prepared for kids to be moving about the halls to find their teammates

We had planned to stay here for 2 nights with our 2 young kids but left a day early as we experienced the WORST customer service I have ever witnessed. Back story- My son was playing in a hockey tournament Sat and Sunday. When researching cortland hotels I called each one and asked if we could invite his teammates to swim in the pool. Of the 4 hotels I called, 2 of them said that this would be fine. Best Western was one of them and ultimately the hotel we chose. On Sunday morning after the hockey game our friends/teammates showed up and started swimming and playing in the pool. (BTW these kids and their parents are some of the kindest, most respectful I've been around.) 5 minutes later a man came into the pool room very angry. He demanded to know who was the one who booked the room and I stepped forward. He proceeded to yell at me and our guests in front of the kids. I asked him if we could talk outside and tried to explain that we called ahead to be sure it was ok to invite friends to the pool. I could barely get him to step outside of the pool room. I told him I had talked to Jim when I called (who was super sweet and friendly the whole time.) He was literally hyperventilating while talking to me because he was so angry. He wouldn't stay and talk to me long enough to figure out where the misunderstanding happened. He literally kept walking away from me telling me I was harassing him. (I was speaking calmly, apologetic and even offered him a hug because he seemed so distraught.) I was even more surprised to learn that this man is the OWNER of the hotel! He couldn't handle a simple challenge without getting so angry he was in fact incapable of showing any respect to us or the children, not to mention do his job. My son was afraid of him. He was scary and should not be in the hospitality business. I will never go back there, and we will be contacting corporate headquarters as this man will give the entire Best Western establishment a bad reputation.

This place was good and not badly priced. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, plenty of parking, shower was clean and water was hot. The staff here was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was ok

My stay was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I will continue to stay at this hotel when I travel to Cortland NY. Being away from home the Best Western Plus made my stay feel like a home environment

A very nice place to stay when in the Cortland NY area. Friendly staff and clean rooms. We have stayed here several times int he past 18 months, keep coming back. My only "complaint" is the wireless is inconsistent and on the slow side.

its the newest hotel in Cortland.. the owners do a very good job with customers and customer service..all the rooms have always been clean and nice...we have never had a bad experience at this hotel..always a good stay

We visited with our sports team. We gathered in the lobby at 5pm to have some pizza together and were told we couldn't be in lobby. We had to go to a room. The man at front desk couldn't hear the phone. We moved to outer lobby away from desk. He came back 2 hours later to tell us we couldn't stay there, quiet hours were at 10. It was only 7pm and we were literally the only ones there. I've never been to a hotel where you were told to vacate the lobby. You have to stay in your room.

BW Plus is always better than a normal BW hotel but also a bit more expensive. Rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. What I would like to see in future time is that you have more healtier options for breakfast and a pillow choice (hard pillows are missing)

This hotel is a bit out of the way but worth going to. The service is excellent. When the desk staff cannot answer a question they admit it and proceed to find the answer. Well done. The pool seemed a little on the chilly side to me. Fitness room even had free weights which I need to use daily.

Nice Overall hotel. Clean, economy and overall very satisfying. We needed to travel to Ithaca which is a 30 minute ride away. Downtown Cortland is very cute town. Recommend the hotel. Price to value equation is very good.

Excellent location with superb accommodations! The front desk receptionist (Jessica) was super efficient and friendly. The check out process was smooth. The location is just right visiting Cornell University .

The Good: This hotel seemed to have decent reviews and indeed was fairly nice looking. The decor was fine and the lobby was nice. The location was ok for Ithaca or Greek peak. It was clean. Customer service was very good as well.....The Bad: When we walked into the lobby, it smelled like an egg roll or some cultural food item that we couldn't place. The room smelled of ammonia or maybe some cleaning solution that we were repulsed by. They were nice enough to give us another room that smelled less intense, but still was not perfect. Due to the busy weekend and lack of options, I stayed, or else we would have left. It appeared to us that the owners live at the location, which I found odd for a large chain like Best Western. The breakfast was disappointing at best. I feel bad for leaving a negative review as they were very nice to us, but I would be doing them a disservice to not point out the flaws. These could be easily rectified and would make this a 3-4 star hotel.

We arrived very early because we missed our check in the day before The manager Jim couldnt be more HELPFUL He got us checked in quick He made nice conversation with my wife and I at breakfast He offered dinning options in the area Really felt like family

We had two rooms for two nights while we visited Cornell University with our daughters. After we checked in, we had to change one of the rooms because it smelled like smoke.Both rooms were on the 2nd floor. The hallway is open to the lobby below. We tried to go to bed at about 10:30 pm but there was a large group from a wedding that had just ended partying and yelling in the lobby. They were so loud...there was screaming and yelling and it continued until at least 3:30 in the morning. They sounded very intoxicated. As I lay in bed hoping that the A/C would keep running to partially drown out some of the noise, I was wondering where the hotel staff was to tell these people to quiet down. Since the hallway is open to the lobby, it was like they were right out side of our room. Some of their party were running up and down the hallways and yelling and banging on doors. They also turned up the volume on the lobby TV so that was also blasting right under my bed. Once they left, no one including hotel staff turned the tv volume down. I complained to the man at the front desk in the morning and he said 'i'm not going to do anything for you' and he proceeded to ignore me standing there. I asked for a manager and he said he was the manager. I later found out that he is the owner.As we left for the day, a woman approached me and told me that it was her daughter's wedding party that had been so loud and disruptive that night and she offered to pay for one of our rooms for a night. I thanked her for her offer. When we returned to the hotel later that day, my daughters' room hadn't been made up.I called the desk and she offered us some fresh towels. When we checked out the next morning, I mentioned the room hadn't been made up and the owner said that would have only happened if there had been a do not disturb sign on the door. I said that there wasn't any sign on the door and he said that there must have been stuff on the bed. I said there wasn't anything on the bed and that the maids had not come to the room and that there hadn't even been fresh towels. He just ignored me after that and my husband continued to check out. As for cleanliness, my room was adequately clean, but my daughter found a lot of black hairs on her bed and in the bathroom. The breakfast was ok for that class of hotel, but there was not a lot of variety. The space behind the front desk was very untidy and looked very messy and uncared for. The elevator is incredibly slow and the door close button was not in proper working order. Avoid this hotel!!!!

This is a newer hotel convenient to restaurants and activities in the area. It is near a photogenic barn from a dairy company next door. Since the hotel is new, it is equipped with smoke alarms and sprinklers if you're into safety. We had a large king room which was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a five foot shower and lots of towels. The breakfast was the standard BW buffet. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our short stay here.

Very nice hotel - still fairly new building. Breakfast is adequate - after all it's a buffet - but good enough. I discovered this hotel about 2 years ago and have stayed several times. Beautiful lobby, especially when the water is running!

The bed and the bathroom was the only nice thing about this hotel!! The lady at the front desk was so rude it horrible, the so called owners park their car out front so you cant unload the CUSTOMERS car. The hotel smelled of CURRY so bad my clothes smelled of it " Nasty ". Breakfast was just OK. God forbid you needed extra towels forget it!!!! One set for two people and the bath towel were the worst I have ever used they were like using a piece of paper and not a large piece either!!! Indian owned Nasty Nasty Nasty Do not stay here!!!!!

I stay 3 days at this family resort( an Indian family owns the resort). Very nasty owner when I check in, for 3 days nobody cleaned my room, I used to leave in the morning around 10 Am and when I use to get back around 5-6 pm the room was not ready. I spoke with night receptionist, very nice guy and he apologized and went by himself to clean the room,( but left the front desk alone to clean my room) and for 15-20 min nobody was in the lobby, people were waiting to check in ( not his fault) that the owners were cheap to hire another person. Last day when I check out, the owner was there and explained the situation that nobody clean my room since I arrived, and start arguing with me that is my fault because I had the occupied sign on the door at 8 Am when they were trying to clean the room. I told him that I was sleeping but after I eat breakfast the sign was off around 10 Am and nobody came back to clean the room. He kept saying is my fault and left the front desk hiding in the back. He did not even apologize. This is the worst Best Western I have ever been, only 1 attendant in the morning to check in( beside the owners) and to serve breakfast. I felt bad for the workers, not their fault but next time I will staying at the Marriott when I get back in Ithaca. Hotel looks good from outside but bad management.

Spent two nights at this hotel. Staff was very nice. condition of hotel and amenities was great, was like new. Pool came in handy and breakfast was decent for a being included with room. Location was great for Dropping my daughter off at Ithaca for sophmore year,and close to lake Cayuga and other places of interest. will be back again in the future

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very nice and quiet during my stay. The overall cleanliness was very good, with exception of the room I stayed in had a few cleaning details overlooked. There were items that had been left in the cabinets from a previous guest. Refrigerator had not been wiped out as it had food crumbs in it. I would stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel within a month and I have been so pleased each time. I came to the area both times for work. The hotel is in beautiful shape. I have had a single room each time with plenty of space within. Microwave and fridge also. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable. The gentleman who has checked me in both times has been very welcoming and professional. Even gave me directions to where I needed to go to work. This is the only hotel I will stay at when I travel to this area.

A nice and fairly new hotel. The hotel was quiet even with a full house. The facility seemed to be kept up very well and plenty of random seating areas in the lobby. Typical breakfast offering like some kind of eggs, mystery meat, pastries, toast or muffins.

This was a very good hotel. The rooms were obviously recently remodeled and the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was sparse with few choices. The location is quiet but somewhat isolated at the edge of town.

Internet speeds are so slow you are transported back to the age of dial up. TV cut off and then showed "no service" for the remainder of our stay. So short staffed the front desk person was attempting to do everything but just couldn't help with the amount of baseball families using the hotel.

We had great accommodations at Best Western Plus. The breakfast is a full breakfast which included a wide range of foods - hot and cold. Our room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay there and the ice cream we got next door.

We recently spent a night at the BW Finger Lakes. The room was spotless and the bed and pillows very comfortable. They had an ample hot breakfast available with decent enough fresh fruit. Lots to choose from. Everyone working there was very pleasant. A very good price, ESPECIALLY for a summer weekend night in this area.

My 2 nights at the Best Western Plus Finger Lakes Inn & Suites was quite comfortable. The building was very nice as were the rooms. The breakfast was very nice and convenient. My only issue was the room rates. As I was there for graduation, the rates were more that double the regular rates. I truly feel this is unconscionable - especially since I made the reservations 15 months in advance!! Other than that, I would recommend the hotel would stay there again myself.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is not close to the interstate, so there was no traffic noise. The lobby is very spacious and nicely furnished. Check-in and check-out were professional, friendly and efficient and kept in mind our room preferences. The room was very clean and well appointed. The bathroom had good counter space, and beds were very comfortable. The fridge and microwave both worked well. Breakfast was served in a very nice dining room with beautiful high ceilings and included eggs, sausages and home fries along with the other regular breakfast items (cereal, toast, waffles, etc…). Although the hotel is between 10-15 minutes away from the Interstate, it is well worth the extra drive for a quiet, comfortable night sleep.

I stayed here three weeks for business. The hotel has been recently built and is kept very clean. The owners are a married couple who are on-site most days and are very friendly. It is within ten minutes of the downtown restaurant area. Taxi service is available. I would certainly stay again.

I booked the hotel about a week in advance for a family visit. We arrived to a very friendly check in with one of the owners who made us feel welcome and right at home. We were in and out all weekend and so spent only part of the trip in the hotel. We had breakfast plans all weekend so did not get to enjoy the hotel breakfast but did stop by for juice and coffee on our way out. All of the staff was friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again.

Clean rooms, fresh sheets, and a quiet spot close to Greek peak and SUNY Cortland. The only negatives about the spot is their continental breakfast is sub-standard and getting out is a little tricky bc the road curves to the right and there is no light. Not the businesses fault for the second but just a heads up. Would recommend.

The room were comfortable and neither too hot or too cold, which I always find a problem. My only complaint is that entering from one o& the directions is one way only and is a dark and not very well lit area. If you aren't familiar with it, it is quite confusing.

This was my second stay at this BW and it was even nicer this time. The lobby was very nice, inviting, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room, was clean, quiet and comfortable. If I had anything that was disapointing it would have been the internet, seemed a tad slow and they blocked Pandora. But that is really nit picking. Had a great experience.

brand new place. carpet even still smells new. Room was on third floor, so high ceilings. Large room. Liked the counter space for the microwave and fridge area. Others in our group thought beds too soft - I thought perfect. Front desk staff was personable and welcoming. Fan AND extra hooks in bathroom (somebody has been listening!!). Breakfast was OK.

Everything was excellent... comfort, cleanliness, condition, space, and service. And the breakfast was very good. Lots of choices including scrambled eggs and sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes and more. Would love to find a hotel like this every night when we travel. This Best Western hotel is a very, very nice hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, in fact so comfortable that I looked to see what kind of mattress it was. The shower had nice water pressure and nice, plush towels. The television had a nice feature of having a “guide” button on the remote for easy viewing of television selections. These are small things but they make a big difference. There is a mini fridge in the room along with a coffee maker and coffee in each room. The hotel is close to dining and other activities. This hotel is very nice, clean and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers.

Stayed for two nights primarily to visit Cornell and the Finger Lakes area. Facility was very clean, new and modern located on the road heading south out of Cortland. Attractive scenery outside but not within walking distance of amenities, however they are a short drive away. Very clean, comfortable rooms and ample parking. Definitely a good choice even if you are primarily visiting Cornell and Ithaca as the drive is eashy.

We stayed two nights during a busy time at the hotel. As hotel was at capacity we paid $320/night (well above their usual rates). We returned to our room on the second night at 9:30pm - room not cleaned/beds not made/towels not refreshed/garbage not removed/no soap etc. Asked to have room done - on duty manager said give us a an hour and we'll do that. Called from a local late-open restaurant at 11:00pm - was told room was ready. Arrived back to find room still not cleaned - new linen tossed on beds. When I called to complain I was told that was best they could do. Considering the hour, we made our own beds and made do without toiletries etc. I left note for AM manager to call me to arrange compensation and that I would rather not post a review but that guests should not have to make their own beds. He did not call me so I called him. He offered a 'small discount' but would not comp the night's stay. I have called Best Western Main office customer service three times and each time provided all details about the problem and was always told this is not our standard, we will get back to you within 2 business days to arrange compensation. Never got a call back. Third time I called, the agent said "can you tell me what happened, there is not much detail in the notes for your file". This is unacceptable.

We stayed at this hotel and were very disappointed. The room was not clean when we showed up. We had to ask for the room to be vacuumed. They do not do it. We had to ask twice for toilet paper. Every morning there was no breakfast left, just bagels or muffins. We were very upset that there was no coffee. I do not know if they change the sheets after each guest, but they do not do it while you are there. The towels in the bathroom were very rough.

Convenient location, friendly, polite service. Very clean and quiet. And very nice breakfast. Good coffee. However the bed was way too soft for comfort and the pillows were the worst ever! Did not get a good sleep. They had recycling bins in the halls by the elevators but recycling in the breakfast area would have been really terrific!

I went to visit the Suny Cortland College. I was so grateful that I found this hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I plan on making this my go to hotel when my son attends college. This hotel is definitely top of the list. I am a very picky person who research a lot before selecting a hotel. Best Western exceeded my expectations and I look forward to returning soon.

I had to move my daughter into her dorm for her freshman year of college. This hotel is close to campus and is great. Rooms clean, beds had lots of pillows. am going to stay everytime I visit my daughter.

The price was too high for the location and quality of staying. No hair dryer. Beds were made, but sheets and pillowcases were not changed from the previous guests. It's really disappointed when you finally ready to take some rest, but find the bed full of someone's hair, and you have to use towels to cover the pillow ...The noise level from upstairs was very annoying and went beyond the midnight. Sounded like someone moved a furniture or done an overnight construction. For this kind of accommodation, could book some motel. Same quality, but half of the price.

Not to take anything away from Cortland, but we stayed here while visiting our son who lives in Ithaca. The nicer hotels in Ithaca are ridiculously overpriced, and this Best Western is under 15 miles from his apartment. It is a beautiful scenic drive, in winter it would be tougher. We figured we saved at least $100 compared to similar accommodations in Ithaca. This hotel is very nice, comfortable, clean, quiet, everything seems new. The lobby area is very pleasant with comfortable seating areas, the complementary breakfast has all the basics, and also 24 hour coffee and tea. We were quite happy with this hotel.

Very conveniently located between the freeway and Cornell University. A very good value considering the extremely high cost of accommodations closer to town. The staff was helpful in providing information about local restaurants.

We always stay at the BW Plus Finger LakesInn & Suites whenever we visit Cortland to visit family and friends. We are always very satisfied with our room and all the amenities that go with it. The quietness of the property and the EXTREMELY comfortable beds always ensure a good night's sleep. Thank you BW Plus Finger Lakes for a very enjoyable visit to our old hometown.

We would certainly use this hotel again, and certainly recommend it to others. It was what a hotel should be, clean roomy, large bathroom, comfortable beds and a great breakfast in the morning, displaying a wide choice of foods. Staff were attentive and had great customer service.

This hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. The beds, pillows etc were very nice and we got a queen suite which was very large and perfect for several women. The breakfast bar was decent and the pool area was particularly well kept. We want to send a shout out to James at the front desk who was very helpful in selecting dining spots for us in both Cortland and Ithaca. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to perhaps put out some tables and chairs in the back. There seems to be loads of room and it is very scenic and sometimes it's nice to get away from air conditioning and that hermetically sealed up feeling you get in hotels.

I stayed at this hotel for a 4 day conference. It was perfect for me and I heard the same form several colleagues. Clean rooms, extremely comfortable bed/pillow, good desk setup, quiet all around. The staff was most helpful and polite. They made me feel welcome.

Our family has stayed at this hotel several times now over the last couple of years and the staff is truly the most friendly and accommodating staff I have ever encountered! I have two SUNY Cortland students and this is the only place I'll stay when I visit them. This past week and I stayed again for two nights during my son's college graduation they greeted us warmly- they are so helpful- breakfast is great -rooms are large and clean. Thank you again for a wonderful stay and I look forward to seeing you as my 2nd SUNY Cortland student still has two more years in college. See you in the fall for college drop off!

Avoid! Avoid!! AVOID!!! Avoid making reservations at this hotel. I made the unfortunate mistake of making a reservation at this hotel unknowingly during a "No-cancellation" weekend. Who would've know? I've made reservations many times all over the country and never did I come across this kind of unreasonable cancellation policy. My daughter attends one of the local colleges and I was making arrangements to pick her up. She had then made different arrangements and it was no longer needed that I pick her up. I explained this to the manager at the hotel and he was completely unsympathetic and immovable with cancelling my reservation - even though it was days before the date I made! Also, he made a lot of threats to sue me if I gave this review. This is not the kind of business I would support and I can't in any sense of a good conscience recommend that anyone would use this hotel. They are completely CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY!!! I will certainly be letting all of the alumni, and other families friendly with my daughter at college know about how this hotel treats their customers.

Have stayed at this hotel several time. Each time has been a great experience. Staff very friendly, Rooms clean and breakfast is good. Minutes from SUNY Cortland, and about 20-30 minutes from Ithaca College and Cornell. I already booked for my stay in two weeks.

Visiting my grand child at TC3 and this is just a few miles up the road. Convenient, clean and lovely place. Pool looked nice too! Quick and easy check in and folks are all pleasant and helpful...even suggesting places to go to eat dinner. I'll be there again this fall, for sure!

I confess - I read the previous "bad" reviews and found none of them to be true. Room was spotless - Staff was friendly and accommodating. Erin, the young man on the desk when we checked in, was very nice and help us find a tire repair place on Easter Weekend. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was the typical "breakfast foods" you find at a BW. If you want a gourmet breakfast - go to a restaurant. The lobby is beautiful.

Our family stayed at the best western plus finger lake in order to attend a family funeral. I think I speak for everyone that we were all pleased with the hotel . The only mistake I encountered was that we were quoted a reduced rate on our room the first night because we arrived at 4 am, but when we checked out I was charged the full rate. It was only a difference if $10 so not a big deal

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and staff. Jim greeted us warmly and helped us when we had an issue at another hotel and needed to leave. The breakfast was delicious, the pool clean, and the rooms quite comfortable and roomy for me and my 2 kids. We had fun skiing at and using the water park at Greek Peak which is close. My oldest son is an Ithaca College freshman so we will definitely be back over the next 3 years!

As a Cortland expatriate who visits the area often, I have stayed at 5-6 other hotels in the area over the years and this was by far my best hotel stay. The staff and the room accommodations left nothing to desire for my 4 day stay a few days before Christmas. It was the off season so the hotel was very quiet. It was a very clean room which was well appointed, the bed was extremely comfortable, on demand tv was a plus (sanitized remote was in a bag) and the bathroom had unlimited hot water plus all the usual amenities. Breakfast was ok - the usual hotel fare of hot food, cold cereal, fruit, coffee & juice. I only ate one breakfast at the hotel during my stay, opting to eat instead at various places where the locals go.There was only one issue that I had during my 4 day stay that affected my rating. There were severe storm warnings with blowing snow and cold 3/4 of the days I was there. The sidewalks at the various entrances (other than the main entrance under the portico) weren't shoveled or salted/sanded in the mornings after it snowed overnight and before I would leave the hotel between 8-9 a.m.. While there weren't many guests during my stay, the chance of even one person falling should be of concern and addressed by management.

The rooms are comfortable and updated. They have tv on demand so you can catch up on shows. The staff are very nice and will inform you on local events and places to eat. The breakfast is a great way to start you day. I used the meeting room to host my company events and it was very spacious and comfortable. You will stay here again and again

This hotel is by far one of the best Best Western Hotels we've ever stayed at. We always choose Best Western as they normaly do not disappoint. The service at this hotel was fantastic. The hotel was quiet the first night as it was Thanksgiving but the second night was a little busier but still great service. Thanks again we will be back!!

My wife and I recently stayed at the property. Checked in about 9PM and the hotel was quiet. Front desk clerk was prepared for us and provided the room key and internet code. He was very helpful. Room was huge. Bathroom clean and very nice. Plenty of channels on the tv and they had a nice guide to make it easy to navigate. We slept soundly- didn't hear a sound. Bed was comfortable. Clearly this is a relatively new hotel based on the nice condition of the rooms and public space. Breakfast was your typical limited service breakfast- quick, easy and sufficient. The front desk manager (Jim) made his was around to every table asking each guest if they needed anything. Solid hospitality. Very attractive exterior, not your typical hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Once again, Ravi and his wife did not disappoint! Everything was ready fro our group when we got there Monday night. The rooms very clean and updated with everything necessary for a comfortable stay.The breakfast was also great. Highly recommend this hotel to groups of all sizes.

I was on a business trip and found this hotel by accident. I waited at the front desk and rang the bell three times before someone appeared. The next morning I was "greeted" by a grunt from the man on the desk and after partially eating cold sausage and scrambled eggs from a package, left thinking I had been short changed. Is it to much to ask to have cheery people greet you, it costs nothing to smile and say Hi.

Excellent hotel, clean, surroundings just beautiful, not right off the highway, but well worth the extra distance! Great parking. WE were towing a trailer and had no problem. King bed mattress was the best! Check in and out staff were so nice and friendly. This Best Western has my business next time we are in town.

This is a nice property with ample clean rooms. Breakfast buffet is good, at par with other similar value hotel chains. Not much around the hotel but you are about 15 minutes from downtown Cortland and 25 minutes from Ithaca. Medium size pool and small fitness room. On our stay the treadmill was out of order but there is a 3/4 mile side road where you can run back and forth. After a day of hiking I was looking forward to a shower and lay down in bed and watch some TV before dinner. Unfortunately our room wasn't made until 8 pm. The apologetic manager explained to us that the hotel was full and they were short staffed. It was full because it was a high season weekend -which by the way it is twice the normal rate-, so I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect the hotel to plan in advance to offer their guests the service they pay for. So based on my personal experience I go for the average rating. If you decide to go when they don't happen to be full you might have a better experience.

First of all, I had to return to Cortland earlier than expected and this hotel was kind enough to accommodate my needs . Check in staff very pleasant. The lobby and dining area are tasteful and inviting. Was assigned room 324 and even though it was close to the elevator, there was no issue with noise. The room was beautiful, modern and comfortable. Window opened, which is a plus for the cool evenings of late summer. Remote control was sanitary and in a bag, which was changed daily. Very nice touch as I'm a germaphobe. Coffee was available 24/7 but was from an automatic type machine. Not the best, but adequate. Breakfast was the usual, couple of hot items, cereals, toast, yogurt. Was more than adequate. Really enjoyed stay here and will be back next year. I asked to have the dryer lint filter cleaned and it was done in a timely fashion. Hotels should really add this element to their housekeeping regimen. Lovely place

We were staying up here for the weekend, visiting Ithaca and the surrounding area. The hotel is newly renovated and nicely decorated. The indoor pool was relaxing and refreshing. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. My only major complaint was that housekeeping did not clean our room at all during our 2-night stay. I don't mind reusing the towels and bedding, but the garbage in our room was not emptied (which is a problem with such tiny hotel garbage bins), nor were soaps or shampoos replenished (you need to use half the tube of shampoo and conditioner since it doesn't provide a good lather and dries out the hair). Apart from that, I had an overall pleasant stay at the Best Western.

I travelled to TC3 College several times this year for testing and orientation and turn around and came back the same day. This time it was my son's Freshman Move In Day so I decided to get him settled and spend the night. I'm glad I did!

This was our first visit to this property. We stayed three nights with a small group. It was conveniently located, clean, well appointed, quiet and comfortable. It appeared to be a new property and everything in our room worked properly. Our room only had a shower (rm.315) which suited our needs. I do not know if other rooms had a tub. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were no surprises. We will stay here again when I visit the Cortland area.

My BF and I stayed here recently while visiting the Finger Lakes. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is probably only about a year old and spotlessly clean. Rooms are beautiful Luxurious Serta Perfect Sleeper beds... Soft pillows. The bathrooms are huge. There is a small indoor swimming pool when I stay there I never saw anybody use it except me.. If you're looking for somewhere to eat if you're looking for somewhere to eat they have a list of all of the places downstairs at the front desk. Breakfast in the morning is the usual fare. Make your own pancake waffles is something slightly different. And they have the usual eggs hashbrowns sausage Etc. Fresh Bagels juice muffins yogurt. Breakfast on the weekends is from 6 to 10 on weekdays is from 6 to 9. Sheets on the bed or expensive which is not usual for a hotel and the towels are fluffy and soft and thick. Staff is extremely friendly. All in all a wonderful place to stay when you are in The Cortland area of the Finger Lakes..

The Best Western Plus Finger Lakes Inn & Suites is clean and the staff very friendly. It brings to Cortland a beautiful place to stay near shops and restaurants. Beautiful setting in the summer. I imagine that during the Fall it would be truly delightful with many beautiful views of the changing leaves. Great place.

We stopped here en route to NYC at about 2 am - we were exhausted and needed a quiet and relaxing spot to call it a night. Wow was I pleased with this choice. Super clean, caring and comfortable, the staff ensured we were tucked away in our room ASAP. The rooms were comfortable ( not quite my style of decor but w/e ), clean and stocked with a coffee machine and condiments. We didn't get to partake in breakfast as we woke up late but from what I could see, it was all well organized and stocked. Friendly staff - what more could one ask for.

There were numerous problems from broken toilet seat to virtually no room cleaning in three days. Front desk staff tried but is obviously not authorized to handle anything without approval of mgmt. Upon talking with management (who was not available until check out), I was treated extremely rude and accused of just looking for something for free. They went so far as to threaten to call police rather than just listen. Each time I tried to explain I was interrupted and talked over. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO DISRESPECTFUL IN A PLACE WHERE I WAS A PAYING GUEST.

Had a great experience. Was traveling with my disabled friend and this was one of the few hotels that room accommodated her walker and had a bed for me. The breakfast area was clean and many choices were available.

We were in Cortland for our Son's college orientation. We could tell the hotel was fairly new. It is very nice looking from the outside and in. The lobby is very inviting and has nice decor. The front desk clerk was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and large with 2 queen beds and also room for a big chair with an ottoman. Breakfast was included and had several hot options. I only recommend they include more fruit options for breakfast. Other than that, we liked the hotel and have already booked our stay there for family weekend at the college.

Stayed in one of the large King bed rooms. My only complaint is that I "hate" the single cup coffee pots! To remedy this problem, if we're staying some where for more than a day, is to take our coffee from home and buy a coffee pot. We leave the pot when we checkout, well worth the $12 expense. We would stay here again and, yes, would buy another coffee pot.

We wanted to explore the Finger Lakes Region for the first time. We found that Ithaca had far more interesting things to do than we could imagine. Ithaca hotels were quite pricy, but we had a better rate at this Best Western Plus Hotel. It was a mere 25 minute drive to most Ithaca locations. We found glorious waterfalls, great restaurants, biking, hiking and a great lake to hang out at.

The location of this hotel is right on a main road. My room was in the front of the building and you could hear cars/trucks passing at all hours of the day and night. Also, you can only access the hotel road from the north, otherwise you need to turn the road BEFORE the hotel, or do a U-turn after you pass it. Although the hotel is new, the hallway needed to be vacuumed and my bathroom was not clean. The bed looked nice, but was not soft enough for me. Check-in/check-out process took entirely too long.

Very rarely do I stay outside of my favorite brand of hotel. This is one of those exceptions. While travelling through the area, we happened across this location and could not have been any happier with the entire experience. This hotel is less than three years old and has been kept in outstanding condition.The staff at check in was polite, the room was very clean and the bathroom well stocked and also very clean. The bedding was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. All carpets in the rooms and the hallways were very clean and appeared to be stain free. Wifi is free and the parking lot is spacious with free parking as well. 24 hour coffee is available at no charge in the lobby. Included breakfast served in the lobby offers a large selection of serve your self items and the area was kept very clean. I was impressed to see the day time manager wearing gloves to bring out free fruit to the food bar. Both the manager and, what I think the owner, checked with the guests in the dining room to ensure the night's stay and breakfast were to their satisfaction. I offer my coveted THREE CHEERS AWARD to this hotel for providing a top flight, clean and well run operation!

The title kind of says it all. I thought I made a reservation but never got a confirmation. As we approached Cortland, I checked my email for confirmation, but I didn't find anything. I contacted Hampton Inn and got a room there. We drove home on the 2nd. During the night, a charge came in to my bank account from Best Western. I also noted that I had received a confirmation email the DAY AFTER the stay I thought I'd reserved. I called the hotel. The desk clerk I spoke with could find no record of my name at all -- not as a guest, a reservation, or a cancellation. She had no suggestions as to how to get the money returned to my account. Given that it's a holiday weekend, I hope to hear from someone from Best Western tomorrow, explaining what happened and refunding my money. In the meantime, the lousy review is the best I can figure out to do to get their attention.

Such a clean nice place, wonderful staff, good enough standard type of breakfast and comfortable room with micro/frig and sitting area. Many hotels are beat up from the college crowd so this was a treat to find and it's not that far from town. Definitely worth staying in. A nice respite after competing in the senior Empire games all day. Just wish there had been a fitness room.

Hotel had limited number of rooms available at check-in. I was told it was because the hotel only cleans rooms a few days a week due to low occupancy and high cost of cleaning help?? 2nd time the TV was not working correctly. Will not be staying here again....

Excellent staff. Response to requests were promptly answered. Value wise this hotel is one of the best in the entire area. Hot coffee available all the time at the lounge area.The breakfast was really good. Overall great experience.

The room was spacious enough for us and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent but standard. The hallway garbage cans were overflowing, which was unpleasant, but we weren't there very long so that might have just happened.

We returned to Cortland, NY, our former home city, for a visit and stayed at BW Finger Lakes Inn & Suites and we were made to feel as though we had returned "home". Everyone we had any contact here was friendly, helpful, courteous, and very professional. There is no doubt that we will always stay here when we visit again anytime in the future.

We loved our stay! From our first encounter with Will, who was at the front desk and who cleverly hopped in on our jokes as we were checking in (and throughout our stay), recommended two great restaurants in the area, and really made our stay extra enjoyable, to our encounters with Jim, at breakfast on both days, who recommended ways for us to keep busy during our stay and a lovely brunch place (IT WAS SO GOOD JIM!!) called Trax which was quite close to the hotel. Will and Jim's humor and willingness to help us in anyway possible have made this a hotel we will definitely be visiting again (and one I cannot wait to go back to). Thank you so much guys, you really helped to push our stay way past our expectations! Our room was spacious, the breakfast was great and our only complaint is that we don't live closer to this area!

Stayed there for a week with my daughter on a business trip, the place was very clean and attractive, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a good assortment to choose from. Will most likely stay again!

Hotel was the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in. Customer service was great. Rooms were good sized and decorated very nicely. The beds were very comfortable. My only complaint was the price I paid but it was college graduation (although that was not why I was there). Included a mini fridge and microwave in the room for convenience. Parking was ample and well lit. Not sure if this was newly built or remodeled but looked exceptionally well maintained.

Watch out they double price on big college weekends. But overall very nice and was very quiet even with hotel filled. Not many hotels offer a hot and cold breakfast, that was a definite plus. Hopefully be back if I ever have to go back to Cortland.

Being quite a new facility, this motel exceeded our expectations. King sized, super comfortable beds, a small but clean pool, and friendly staff made this a most welcome overnight stop between Niagara Falls and New York City. Very good value for money, and lots of useful stores and restaurants nearby (Walmart, Applebee's, liquor stores) for the road-trippers amongst us.

We did liked the hotel, but like I said before the room would of need dusting and wipe the fingers marks on the door of the restroom. sorry for my English. I am french. The pool was very nice we did enjoyed it, for the price a bit expensive comparing with others in the area, but the quality was really good.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and found the hotel and grounds to be kept very clean. Hotel staff is helpful and willing to assist you in any way they can. Our room this visit was left off the maids list to clean, when I notified the front desk, they came up immediately to freshen up our room. They apologized and we were haopy with the front desks response to our issue. Very close to SUNY Cortland.

On our way north from sunny Florida, we stopped at the NY welcome center to get info on hotel lodgings in the area. We spotted this hotel BW Plus in Cortland. Although the hotel is a few miles off the main highway (I-81), it is well worth the detour. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and conscious of your well-being during your stay. The premises and amenities are well maintained and very clean. Breakfast area was well organized, clean and complete with all the standard breakfast items that were excellent.

I've stayed here about a half dozen times within the last year. The hotel is fairly new with a great lobby and very modern, spacious and comfortable rooms. The front desk personnel is always friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating as is the rest of the staff that I have encountered. The hotel offers a free breakfast every morning which is extremely convenient. Plenty of free parking and free wi-fi also. Great location close to SUNY Cortland, Cornell and Ithaca. Customer service here is second to none. Management should be extremely proud of their staff.

Great place to stay in Cortland. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are modern and very clean. Breakfast was well prepared and offered a nice selection. Good location close to Greek Peak Ski Resort, Cornell and downtown Ithaca. We'll be back to explore some of the outdoor recreation and will stay here again.

During the weekend we stayed at this hotel for a night. It was, let's say… acceptable. Unexpected meeting with friends made us decide to stay for an additional night in the area. I went to the reception to ask if we can remain in the same room, to save time and trouble. The clerk was very rude and unwilling to address my plea. First, he told me, we have to leave the room, check out and then he will check if there are availabilities. The hotel was pretty empty, so I insisted and asked him if he can check now so I don't have to wait. His response was that there are other hotels in the area….and that is exactly what we did.

Great place to stay. Updated and spacious room, with everything I could need. Very clean and comfortable and quiet. I couldn't get the wi-fi to work. I could have called the desk and got some help, but it wasn't really that important. The desk clerks were professional and friendly. I will definitely stay again when in the area.

Booked through Expedia and received a room adjacent to the laundry room on the ground floor. Could not sleep all night from rumbling noises. Complained to reception at 12:30 AM about the constant noise and were told there is nothing wrong with the room and there is no noise. The staff's unwillingness to help or accommodate us was astounding and unheard off!

We stayed there during our vacation for 3 nights. It is a calm hotel ok breakfast buffet, rating is ok, the beds where very good and the rooms where clean and had a good size. So all in all an excelent hotel. Servic ewas good and helpfull the had a 12meter swimming pool indoor

Was a great place to stay to explore the area - including Ithica and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. A very nice, new, clean and comfortable hotel with a good breakfast. The only down-side was there was no restaurant within walking distance for dinner and we prefer to walk to dinner. nevertheless, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and we would stay again.

Wonderful property, excellent emanates, friendly helpful staff. Clean elegant rooms, nice indoor pool, and good breakfast. We stayed three nights. The 24 hour hot coffee was fresh and delicious too. The staff recommended various other places to see and things to do. Great over-all experience.

This hotel had well appointed rooms, clean, and comfortable. The bed was excellent, TV worked fine, adequate lighting, comfortable seating, good internet. A good value. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast but good enough. We would stay again.

From the management to the location and rooms everything was excellent. Coming in with a group of 100 HS students could get hectic but Ravi(the owner of the property) had everything organized and ready to go the minute we walked in to the hotel. We were all checked-in within 15 minutes- which is amazing with HS students! The rooms were all very clean and updated. We were there for a school visit to Cortland which was literally 5 minutes away. I would definitely stay at this hotel again! Ravi is the best!!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visting finger lakes and Ithaca. The hotel located 30 minutes drive from Ithaca. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is new, the room was clean and big. Good wi fi, basic and good breakfast. We got a room to the main road, so it was a little bit noisy, but not a big deal. The hotel is very close (3-5 minutes of drive) to wallmart and applebee's. Recommended.

Front Desk clerk was fantastic. Very friendly, very knowledgeable. He offered us freshly made soft cookies that were delicious. He gave us directions and made some nice suggestions of things to see while up there visiting Cortland college. The hotel was very clean, inside and out. Beds comfortable and everything worked beautifully except the blow dryers. They need to be updated as they are not powerful. Breakfast needs to be competive with the Hilton properties. You get a much better breakfast there. They need more of a variety, and fresher items. No fresh fruit available and the pancake maker is not up to par. Very clean hotel, nice area, I would stay there again and recommend to those needing a place to stay in the area. Kudos to the front desk staff. Excellent service.

Went to Cortland to visit our son who is attending Ithaca College and saw the rugby game there . The Hotel seems like it is brand new and the Staff was very friendly. We would definitely go back there next time we go to see our son.

Very nice Hotel staff was friendly, the room was very clean, had all amenities. The bed was comfortable. HBO was included. WIFI worked well. I did not have a chance to use the fitness center. The breakfast was good.

We use this property weekly for travelling staff. Desk staff are always courteous and friendly; manager is very easy to work with. We've had multiple staff stay there from Canada and overseas, as well as vendors. It is nice to call and the person taking the reservation remembers our staff by name and comments that it will be nice to see them again. We will miss Finger Lakes when our project is complete. Thanks for the great service!

Eight of us stayed two nights coming from all directions to celebrate a brother's 70th birthday. The staff greeted us warmly, answered all questions and made us feel welcome right away. All of the rooms were clean and so comfortable. Four pillows on each bed, a lounge chair, microwave, fridge, desk, coffee maker, hair dryer, every thing you could want. The mattresses were soft and comfy. The AC was great, and we found our rooms quiet. The pool was clean and delightful. The desk people, especially Nick and Jim were some of the nicest we have met. Nick was more than pleasant, friendly and a little funny, which we just loved. Jim was so helpful and kind in helping us fit tables together for eight at breakfast and making sure everything was kept replenished. He could tell a joke also. The breakfast was amazing, with many choices, eggs done different ways, sausages and potatoes, waffled pancakes you make yourself, with toppings available, and of course all of the usual cereals, coffee, juices, breads, bagels, muffins, danish....and fresh fruit and yogurt. How could you complain? Nick told us about all of the local restaurants and things to do, with his own recommendations as a local. The older gentleman who ran the place was also amazingly friendly and helpful. We had one tiny problem and he fixed it immediately. We had a birthday party in the lobby with lots of laughs and joy. Our new friend, Nick assisted and joined in for cake....at our insistence. He helped us also by taking pictures of the eight of us. Thanks Nick. Also, the price was incredibly reasonable, and just enough outside of Ithaca to be a short ride to the waterfalls and Cornell. We would definitely stay there again.

I was staying at the hotel for two nights with friends and we all were very pleased from the hotel. Warm welcome, excellent service and very clear hotel. The breakfast was a good surprise also. I very recommend to stay in this hotel for anyone.

This is the MOST EXPENSIVE hotel in the area and not worth the price in my opinion. I stay in Cortland 5-6 times a year to visit family but this is the first time I've stayed at the BW because it is 30-40% more than the equivalent local hotels but due to location I gave it a try. The rooms are nice and are clean, there is a mini-golf/fun center right next door, but the breakfast was similar to most ... powdered scrambled eggs, frozen homefries, cereal, etc. We were unfortunate enough to have 2 fire alarms and had to leave the building twice in the middle of the night due to someone smoking in the hallway. Once I understand, but twice means that they didn't take necessary steps to correct the situation. The next morning the staff didn't seem to care, apologize or offer any compensation. So my suggestion is to go the the Hampton Inn or Country Inn and Suites, both are similar quality and less $.

We stayed for 4 nights for a long week and overall the hotel was nice looking, with pretty clean rooms. But, our first night the fire alarm went off twice at approximately 3:15 AM and again at 4 AM. The front desk worker told us that someone was smoking weed in their room. I understand that the first time wasn't their fault but they clearly didn't deal with the issue appropriately for the alarm to go off again 45 minutes later. The front desk worker was also extremely unhelpful when we first arrived. We said we were from out of town and asked for a few suggestions for things to do in the area, to which he replied "there's nothing here. No one lives here. There's nothing to do." He had nothing else to contribute to the conversation. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed here a Wednesday and Thursday night to go to the NY State fair. Went to college here so I kind of know the area. The hotel is clean, staff is very friendly. There is complimentary breakfast in the am, and a newspaper. The location is convenient, a little over 30 minutes to Syracuse where the state fair is. There are so many stores in the area, mini golf places, restaurants etc. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars is the air conditioning unit was a little noisy. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Rates staff and fitness room. The rooms on the first floor where vast. Breakfast was great and entry way was beautiful. For me personally the building felt a bit creepy. But I would stay there again, because the mattress was the best Id slept on all week.

We discovered this hotel when we took our son to tour Cornell, the owners are wonderful, the hotel immaculate and staff very friendly. We have already booked our future stays. Great school shopping in the area to get all their Dorm needs.

Hotel is strategically midway between Utica and Ithica. Price substantially lower than Ithica hotels. Rooms in this 2 years old hotel are large and well equipped. Particularly liked the large stall shower. Staff were first class. Hotel has no bar or restaurant and local options are very limited.. Ithica, of course has plenty of excellent restaurants but is a 20/30 minute drive.

The owners are great people! Best hotel we've stayed at in the last few years. Recommend you drive about three miles away to Fat Jacks BBQ, great food. Cornell University is about a 15 minute drive. Easy drive there.

Friendly staff, I checked in late in the evening. Stayed for one week. Very clean and new facility with comfortable bed. Nice free breakfast and coffee available 24 hours. Very nice place for the price.

We stayed here with our family of 5 for a weekend of sightseeing in Ithaca. Lovely area and staff was very attentive and helpful. We usually stay at the Marriott but it was booked so we tried this facility. Would definitely return. About a 25 minute ride to Ithaca but worth the additional travel.

The room was clean and the hotel is newer. The free breakfast had everything we wanted, and plenty of seating. The indoor pool area was clean and the pool was larg by indoor standards. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel accommodations were very nice. It was a great place to stay with modern amenities. I was interested in a suite hotel for my family while attending my daughter's graduation. It was difficult to locate an affordable place to sleep 3 adults close to Syracuse. The only down side of my stay was that it took about 30 minutes to commute to and from Syracuse each day, but it was worth it to save money.

I booked 2 rooms for my sister and myself. Wintering in Florida, my sister has had a lot of hotel stays. Her reaction when entering her room at the Finger Lakes Inn was "Wow". We all had very good service from very friendly staff.

The good: Pretty new, very clean, nicely decorated, large rooms with comfy beds. Nice rural location. Friendly staff. Nick checked us in and he was great. The not-so-good: About bit pricier than I thought it would be. The doors slam!! All in all we liked it and will return.

I remember going to this place as if it were yesterday. As soon as I walked into Best Western, there were beautiful chandeliers and a tiny waterfall. There are chairs for you to sit and wait in the lobby. It wasn't a long wait at all and the employees are very nice and friendly. When I got upstairs everything was very clean and beautiful and I couldn't believe how great and comfy everything was. The next morning I went downstairs around 8am for a swim before breakfast (which I wasn't aware breakfast was there )and it was complementary. After swimming and eating breakfast I went to the gym for a little bit then what we did for the next thing was(my family and I) went to the amazing water park located about 5-10 from Best western. It was all truly fun and I love how close everything is to Best Western. Everything was convenient, and this made my summer. Also this place is not over priced at all unlike other places. I really recommend you to go to this place. You will love it!!

A new, very clean mid-range hotel in Cortland, NY, but surprisingly close to greater Ithaca activities. We have made this our default hotel when we visit Ithaca and cannot stay with family. Extremely quiet inside and out.

For purposes of our visit it was the perfect stay - we stayed at another local place the last time we visited the college and will not return there! We will be Best Westerners when visiting Cortland!!

Had a very pleasant stay.. decent breakfast and caring staff.. hotel is still like new.. we stayed there when it first opened a couple years back and stayed again... well maintained. Good for a weekend getaway or if you want to experience the finger lakes area...

This new hotel is located in a countryside setting and has all the conveniences one would hope for. Restaurants nearby offered a variety of cuisines and were located within just a few minutes of the hotel.

This new hotel is quite the gem in Cortland, N.Y. Apparently not quite discovered yet, it offers just about everything you could possibly want. Not only does it offer wonderful amenities (including very comfortable beds), the place itself is new, clean and comfortable. The lobby is beautiful, inviting and exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The employees working the front desk were extremely polite and helpful with any detail necessary to make your stay a good one. I am fussy about hotels, I must admit. This is why I want to praise this one as the gem that it is. I have been recommending this hotel to all my friends who entered the Empire State Games with me this year. Excellent hotel!

Wasn't expecting much but this hotel was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was very kind and responsive. They have a pool and small gym but we did not use either. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in or near Cortland. They also have a mini golf place right next door.

This hotel is not too far from Cornell and is very clean and comfortable. I had to pay in advance because we came for the Cornell graduation. The bathroom was clean but could use some updating with regard to the shower/ too short of a shower curtain made it difficult to avoid water overflow onto the floor. The elevator is very slow but besides that it is a great place to stay!

My recent stay was the up most great experience in a while. The comfort and quality of the room was comfortable. The hotel was kept well and clean. The staff accommodated us with every beck and call. The hour of breakfast was on target and delicious as well. Plenty of parking and spacious room and bathroom.

On our last day coming back from Florida, needed a nice place to stay quiet preferably in the mountains. Boy did we hit the jackpot, new hotel in a very quiet part of Cortland. Beautiful rooms, great beds and very quiet surroundings. Woke up rested with a great sunrise in the mountains great breakfast, friendly staff. This hotel deserves all the success it is surely going to get

Stayed here for my daughter's wedding. Modern facilities, friendly staff. Good execise facilities and indoor pool. Enjoyed partying with family & friends in Lobby area. Beds were very comfortable, shower was great, kitchen facilities in were were very helpful and useful.

All room doors are lacking soft closing mechanisms. EVERY TIME someone went in or out of their rooms, your were jolted by slamming doors. This along with a passionate couple fighting in the hallway for what seemed like hours, you could surmise the Hotel's soundproofing might leave something to be desired. The first room we checked into was partially cleaned; the bed wasn't made. I called the front desk and the phone rang for 15 minutes. I had to walk down stairs, ring the desk bell and wait another 5 minutes for someone to show up. They did promptly move us to another room that was clean, up dated and very comfortable. The staff offered no express check out. During check out, the gentleman working the front desk refused to speak to me, (I'm a woman) or look me in the eye, but proceeded to speak to my partner (he's a man), even after he realized the room was booked in my name, under my credit card. I suspect that might have been a cultural thing on his part. Never the less, it was a bit insulting. he quality for the price just wasn't there. BTW:we had a discounted price due to a group rate! This wasn't our worst hotel experience, but it certainly wasn't in our top 10. The area is not that populated and lacked attractions, so you'll not be too hard pressed for a choice of accommodation options.

Cortland is an OK college town, but this hotel is a gem. Went there for a bicycle race as part of a team. Great staff, very comfortable bed, nice rooms. Would go back. It is perfect for groups. The owner took the time to check on our level of satisfaction during our checkout Breakfast could be better.

My co-worker and I were on our way to Tully from Ithaca to another best western about 45 mins away. We decided to stop at the best western plus instead. Cody was able to call and ensure that we received the best rate in the area for our extended stay. Hands down he saved us money and time. The room is very nice and clean. Everything is brand new. Excellent motel...clean, friendly, attractive rooms, great pool and fitness centre,good breakfast, very friendly staff...not far from Cornel gave us time to visit the art museum there and walk around. The Motel is in a country setting with farms and is quiet.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very helpful, breakfast was plentiful and the beds and rooms were very nice! The internet worked well, able to stream video. There were a ton of cable channels for entertainment. The showers were nice and they provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower caps, mouthwash and soap.

This was a business trip that the whole family came on. We couldn't have been happier. The room at the hotel fit our family of five quite well. We enjoyed the clean, comfortable room and the kids loved the pool. The staff was incredibly friendly during our stay. The continental breakfast was fantastic!

A little far from I-81, which annoyed me initially until I got there. Frankly, a little far is not bad when you consider the peace and quiet gained. And the surroundings are much more bucolic. So this turned out to be a great idea, particularly since the countryside from I-81 to the hotel is very pleasant. And, of course, as one would expect from BW+, the hotel is clean, staff is friendly and efficient, breakfast is great.

This hotel was as nice as the people that run it. The front desk staff is so professional, welcoming and caring that it did not feel like a hotel! The cleanest rooms in Cortland! What a great cleaning staff - everything was spotless! Thank you Jim, Ravi and Jason for making our stay a pleasant one! Plenty of parking. Quiet hotel rooms. Nice pool. I have stayed at many of the local hotels over the past 6 years and this one by far was the cleanest, nicest, and most efficient! With a caring staff and clean rooms -- you cant go wrong.

First time staying at hotel booked 2 night stay for a visit to suny Cortland. I was very surprised at the Hotel staff, they were very accommodating and helpful. Hotel was very clean, along with my room. bed was very comfortable. I already re-booked hotel for a stay this coming summer.

The hotel was beautifully designed and immaculate. Ravi was friendly,courteous and extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable. Room nicely designed and well thought out. I will stay here every time I visit my son in college at Cortland.

Very nice motel; conveniently located in Finger Lakes region of New York Room was nice, bed was comfortable. Had nice amenities. The complimentary breakfast was decent, with significant variety of good quality food. No problems such as noise etc

The staff ( Jim ) greeted us upon arrival and remembered us from prior trip. The hotel is brand new and the rooms were great. The mattress was brand new and so comfy. Located close to SUNY Cortland which made it a plus. Walmart located also close by.

First time I've stayed at a Best Western in 10 years and I was pleasantly surprised. Much nicer than I remember. This is a new property and the staff was very helpful. Paid $109 a night which is about average for this area. Overall I was very happy with everything.

We lost our Dad on Dec. 28th who was residing in PA. Funeral arrangement had been made in our hometown so the family had to travel as a group to attend and take care of funeral and wake. These folks went above and beyond the norm to take care of us. We were very well treated, the rooms were comfortable and clean and reasonably priced. We used the lobby like our home away from home and enjoyed breakfasts. Thank you for your caring attitudes.

Excellent hotel. Extremely friendly, courteous and professional staff who are genuinely glad to welcome guests. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Excellent place to stay. It's a great location and it's in a beautiful area of New York State. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is lacking in quality, but there's a diner down the road.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel , I felt at home. My family and I stayed at the hotel for my daughter's graduates recognition ceremony from Tc3 and we had an awesome time. The staff, the lobby, our room & the breakfast exceeded our expectations!!!!! Looking forward to returning in May for the official graduation ceremony. The only negative thing that I would have to say is upon checking out we were informed that in order to reserve the hotel in May 2016 we would have to reserve for 3 nights. We would only need the hotel for 1 night in May. Can Management please explain that.

This is a great place to stay in Cortland. Reasonably priced. Free breakfast. Beautiful lobby. Personable & Caring staff Especially Jim. We stay here when we visit our son who is in Cortland to watch his games. You wont be disappointed.

Stayed here with a sports team in the largest suite available (sleeps 6). Staff was friendly and professional, they even put breakfast out half an hour early for us because we had to leave. Breakfast included standard continental options plus scrambled eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. Nice business area with good WiFi signal to do homework in. Would stay again.

Nice, clean, new every thing. friendly staff very accommodating breakfast only average . convent to Dryden and Ithaca . Watch out for third party sites from switching locations when making reservations . Would stay again , but use best western site

Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Free continental breakfast was a joke. Hotel was out of food by 8:30am. Many people saw trays empty and left and went out to breakfast....

Went to Ithaca for a game but could not find anything close by so I remembered about this hotel. Can't say enough on how friendly the staff has been and how clean the lobby and rooms were. I didn't have the breakfast but it looked much better than most chain hotels but we were in a rush. The only issue is that friends wanted to book at this hotel and stay with us but they were quoted $100 more than my one week old rsvp. So this created a meeting issue for all of us. My friends explained the circumstances but they got you by the you know what. Not happy about that fact but it was a good place to stay. It's about 30 minutes to Ithaca and Cornell and 15 to Cortland.

I have stayed at this Best Western several times. It is very clean and comfortable and the staff is always courteous and helpful. The hotel is close to the State University and I would recommend it to any parent visiting their student.

This is a repeat stay for us at the Cortland Finger Lakes Best Western. We chose it again because the location is ideal at the southern end of Cortland for proximity to Ithaca and Virgil. The hotel and rooms are in pristine condition.

Excellent room; great décor; nice and filling breakfast. Wish I could've stayed longer. Close proximity to everything. Doug's Fish Fry best fish I've had in a long time. The king bed was extremely comfortable. And the sofa bed was a great touch. Only issue was with the plugs in the room. Had to plug the coffee maker up to the lamp. But that was minute in the grand scheme of things. Didn't know that Best Western could hold up to the standard. I might just stay there again even though my alum is 30 minutes north of there!!!

As I am writing this review, I am listening to what sounds like a stampede of elephants above my head. From the moment we arrived here, we can hear everything from the room above us. If this doesn't bother you, it won't be a problem. But it drives me nuts. I don't know if there is a gymnastics team up there, or just normal people walking across their room. But there are soundproofing technologies that have been used for years in higher class hotels that eliminate this type of impact noise. Not here. The sound is transferred down to our room and it is LOUD and ANNOYING. Also, can someone please design and door latching system that doesn't cause all the doors in the hall to slam shut when they close? This hotel is obviously built so cheaply that there is no soundproofing between rooms whatsoever. I personally would never stay here again under any circumstances. And if sleeping is important to you, I would not recommend it either. If you have to stay here, get a room on the top floor to avoid the elephant stampede.

We stayed here on our drive from Toronto to New Jersey. Very clean and easy check in. Free breakfast in the morning was very good. Walmart is nearby if you need to buy any forgotten supplies. Sort of difficult to find so make sure you have an updated GPS. Highly recommend this hotel

This new hotel is nice looking, very clean, with spacious rooms and very close to SUNY Cortland. The staff is extremely helpful. Also, you are close to Cornell and Syracuse Universities, Ithaca College as well as shopping and restaurants. I've stayed at this hotel twice in the last two months and will be staying here again.

When we finally found this hotel, they did not acknowledge our diamond member status. The room was new and the bathroom was big with good water pressure. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. The wifi in our room did not come in and the desk was wobbly. The outlets by the desk are blocked. There is no hot tub, but the pool was clean. The location is not close to food or attractions. Breakfast was good and the seating area was large. The elevators are slow but everything was clean.Our biggest complaint is the location.

My husband and I are platinum rewards members with Best Western and have stayed at hotels across the country. This is the worst Best Western we have ever stayed at. We made a 3 night reservation to do some hiking in the area and when we arrived we were told there was only a reservation for 1 night. After doing some checking we were told that yes we did have 3 nights reserved. Apparently there were 2 separate reservations. We were then asked by the manager if we would like to stay in the same room for all 3 nights(???). (There were literally 4 cars in the parking lot, not like the hotel had all 84 rooms booked) The manager said he would see if he could arrange that for us. This set the tone for the whole trip. The second day our keys would not work and when we questioned we were told we had no reservation. They again looked and found them but on the 3rd day our keys were disabled yet again. As for breakfast it was AWFUL! Eggs, sausage and hash browns held in warming trays that were cold. We had to use the microwave to heat them up. Not sure how safe it is to let things get cold. Very understaffed.

Hotel is new, nice and clean. Free breakfast was awful. Hotel is close to Cortland and Ithaca. Better price than hotels in Ithaca if you are visiting Cornell. But the free breakfast is awful. Bins are empty and food unappealing. Seems like they may be severely understaffed. Other Best Western plus hotels we have stayed at have provided a great, tasty free breakfast and free water bottles in the room (which by the way would cost the hotel about 10 cents per bottle). Overall you will enjoy your room and the hotel. But you may want to go to the local diner for breakfast.
