"Noisy Neighbours"
Schyner, 05 Avril 2024

The hotel had an excellent location for our break to Copenhagen, with a short walk to the metro, which opens up the city. We received a warm welcome, which was a consistent theme from the staff going forward; they were always polite and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though there was no AC. We relied on a radiator to warm up and had to open the window to cool down. However, the open window does expose you a little more to the street noise. We had rooms with a view of the street. You expect a certain level of ‘street noise' when staying in a city. The road outside the hotel is actually fairly quiet from vehicles, but you do suffer from groups of people who can be heard passing by or standing outside the nearby bars/restaurants, engaging in merry conversation even with the windows shut, as the soundproofing of the glazing isn't very good. On our second night, a Friday, we were heavily disturbed by a nearby bar. The thudding bass of music could be heard until beyond 5:00 am! It's unbelievable to me that they can be allowed to do this in what feels like a residential area. This isn't the hotel's fault, but it was a significant negative to the quality of sleep experienced, which in turn is obviously a big factor in the enjoyment of a stay. If you're staying here, don't have a street-facing room. Everything else about the hotel was good, but there is no compromise to being well rested, which we are not!

"Good hotel "
DJE7777, 22 Mars 2024

Good Hotel and within walking distance of all city attractions. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel was very modern and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone wanting 3 days City break to see Copenhagen. The sights and attractions are good and the locals are really nice.

"Absolutely brilliant ! Thank you ! "
CamillePSB, 08 Mars 2024

We had such a wonderful stay at the Huxley. The room was incredible with lovely furniture, the lobby really nice and we loved having a cheeky late night drink at the bar. But the absolute highlight of the stay was the team. The person who checked us in was really lovely and made us feel so welcome, and later at night we also got great advice from from another man and a lady that absolutely made our stay. This gentlemen's recommendations were absolutely spot on ! It was a special occasion, and the surprise we got at check in was so appreciated ! A million thanks to the fabulous team at the Huxley ! Camille & Thomas

"Central!"
Paryanbillabone, 15 Février 2024

Very central! Great location! Great service! Very comfortable! We asked to check in early at 11am and they did it with no hassle at all! Very friendly staff! Great ritual products also in the bathroom! Very close to nyhaven and walking distance to most landmarks!

"Christmas markets in Copenhagen"
heidisN4212MN, 30 Novembre 2023

Lovely Boutique hotel, modern interior with everything you need. Our room was small but we knew this when we booked. Ideal for a weekend away. Clean, with Comfortable beds, warm room, modern shower some toiletries, enough towels. Everything you need for breakfast hot or cold delicious! Staff were polite, well dressed in uniforms and the co owner (sorry didn't get her name) was a joy to talk with. Our room view overlooks the front cobbled street. Small pub on the corner of the road, and a 5 min walk to Nyhavn canal area with the bustle of outdoor dining, beautiful coloured buildings, quaint restaurants with lots of choices. It's a great location to wander night and day. Xmas markets, shops, food hall at Tivoli gardens. “Bastard cafe” if you fancy some board games and a beer, quite unique. Catch the hop on/off bus and boat tour or use the bikes parked outside. Andy Peters from TV this morning filmed in the area showing off its picture postcard looks! Its real gem would definitely stay again! ….take the train to Malmo in Sweden next time approx 30 mins away! Thanks for a great stay!

"Amazing staff"
Chloe D, 29 Novembre 2023

Hotel room and staff were amazing. We're very helpful at giving directions and recommendations around the city. I got stuck in the elevator on my last day and Claus at the front desk went above and beyond by carrying my very heavy luggage down the stairs by himself. Otherwise my stay was perfect, room was very clean and cozy.

"Good hotel in great location"
saurdal2023, 12 Novembre 2023

Centrally located hotel in a quiet street. Just a few minutes from Kongens Nytorv and the metro to/from the airport. Nice and clean room with a good bed and efficient shower. There is also a safe in the room which is big enough to take a laptop.

"Nice hotel in a great location"
paulb33125, 31 Octobre 2023

Very pleased we chose to stay at the Huxley Copenhagen. Well presented and clean property, with comfortable well equipped rooms. Excellent choice at breakfast. All staff we encountered were friendly and professional and pleased to help us. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Copenhagen.

"Weekend city break"
Neil H, 26 Septembre 2023

Hotel is in a quiet street, in a good location and has friendly helpful staff. Its also very close to the Kongens Nytorv Metro stop and a short walk to the hotel. The hotel also have bicycles that can be used by residents of the hotel.

"Great location"
QueenBAus, 08 Septembre 2023

The location of the hotel is perfect. It's has comfortable rooms , we were lucky to have an air conditioner that worked after we cleaned the filters haha Breakfast was delicious and the staff are lovely. I would stay here again but only in the room with the aircon

"Exceeded Expectations"
johntA3337AN, 06 Septembre 2023

We usually stay at Hiltons but there were no Hilton's in Copenhagen. We are also Diamond with Best Western so we checked the 3 Best Westerns there. After reading all reviews chose the Huxley and BW Premium Boutique hotel. Diamond status recognized and acknowledged. We were upgraded to the top floor. So glad we chose this particular hotel. It was totally renovated during the pandemic. It is gorgeous and spotless, both the overall hotel and room. By American standards it was a small room with a small bathroom. But they are designed well and the step in shower , no bathtub made the small bathroom workable. The location is ideal. Less than a block from a main canal where the your boats go. Tobias and Nicolas in the front desk were excellent. Everyone spoke English and were extremely helpful. We must have asked Tobias 10 questions over stay which he cheerfully answered. When we decided to eat sandwiches in for a change Nicolas volunteered China and utensils. As such entire staff excelled. Compliments to the general manager who has trained the staff well We highly recommend this hotel.

"Amazing staff"
U3282PNadamr, 14 Août 2023

Staff were amazing, they compassionately rearranged a trip that we couldn't make due to a death in the family, and couldn't have been nicer when we were there. Location is great, only a 5 minute walk to Nyhavn, and only about 10 to the central shopping area.

"The hotel to stay"
vlouveau, 20 Juillet 2023

Very good amenities. Huge breakfast : you can't leave starving. Staff really kind. Designed furniture (by Arn Jacobsen for example) Location is close from a lot to do in the area. —— Un hôtel vivement recommandé : très bien situé, staff très accueillant, très chouette chambre (située côté jardin : très calme). Petit-déjeuner exceptionnel et staff vraiment sympathique.

"Highly recommend"
JustNona4, 17 Juillet 2023

We had a great time at the Huxley. We sat in nice chairs, right by the window and watched the rain. The food was good and Samuel and Luke went above and beyond, making us laugh and feel welcome. Thanks, we truly appreciated you!

"Convenient and comfortable stay"
Terence B, 23 Juin 2023

We selected this hotel because of its location, close to the Metro, shops, waterfront and restaurants. The hotel itself was a pleasant surprise. Very charming, old-world feel, comfortable room and very pleasant staff. The breakfast selection was very good, the food was delicious. The entire staff was very pleasant, helpful and professional.

"Hospitality in style !"
SushiSalon, 27 Mai 2023

We had a special occasion to celebrate in Copenhagen. Did we find the right hotel for our stay! First impressions are important. Did some meticulous study before visiting the Huxley. We booked a slightly larger room. This was perfect, especially size wise, for a couple of days. Also the Huxley is very central positioned in Copenhagen. After a warm welcome and smooth check inn, we went up to our room, rather junior suite. Such a nice vibe here. Nice size clothing cabinet and suit case stand. Comfortable large bed. A mini console/desk with modern tv above. And good size bathroom with a actual bathtub. Like that the design feel is a fresh mix between iconic Danish design and Britannica eclectic. Also surprisingly quit, having the room at the inner-court. And no, im not getting payed by Huxley for this raving review: Just really enjoyed our stay here! Felt very welcome. We had a breakfast included, with was very well prepared by Elizabeth and her crew. After a great chat with her and she asked the reason of our stay, (our wedding anniversary) she came out with 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate. What a wonderful gesture, thank you so much for that. It is in these little details of service from the front desk members, Elizabeth, her crew, but also the wonderful cleaning staff helping us with what we needed. Couldn't be better. Im going to stop now, the goo and ooze is really starting to flow now. In a nutshell: Great stay, great staff, we definitely be back! Adrian & Patrick

"Great location; nice hotel but bathroom door lacks privacy"
NoVA9833, 29 Avril 2023

The hotel was in a great location and had very cool decor/design. The staff was very nice and responsive. The hotel was very clean and the room comfortable, especially the bed! However , the bathroom door was translucent and you could see through it, which was rather awkward for a family. I would strongly recommend changing the doors especially in the triple rooms. The doors / walls were a bit thin so you could people walking in the hallway. Fortunately the other guests were quiet. All in all a good stay.

"Lovely stay In Copenhagen "
eeh06, 10 Février 2023

This hotel is absolutely lovely and so are the people who work there. On our first day, we was welcomed by the lovely receptionist who gave us lots of good recommendations! The room was lovely, very clean and modern. The bathroom has heated floors and Rituals bathroom accessories! The hotel was a 2 minute walk from Nyhavn and in walking distance to everything else. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough, thank you for a lovely stay!

"Nice place to stay"
Glenda B, 12 Janvier 2023

Like everyone else has said The Huxley is in a great location. The room was very comfortable although not much room for two big cases. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom lovely and warm with underfloor heating and a good shower. The breakfast staff were lovely and the selection of food was very good. I took sick while we were there and the staff were most caring and helpful. Totally recommend the Huxley!

"Fab Location"
EmilyC418, 02 Janvier 2023

We stayed at The Huxley for 4 nights. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring central Copenhagen. A 5 minute walk to the Nyhaven Harbour and a 15 minute walk into the town centre. The hotel was clean with a fabulous shower and comfortable bed!

"Comfortable room, close to sites in the central city."
GoAlong2, 23 Décembre 2022

This remodeled hotel provided us an upscale danish experience in the heart of Copenhagen. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a wide range of hot and cold foods and was a great start to the day. Because of the central location, we could walk to most of the major sites. The hotel is on a quiet street, near one of the larger canals. There were restaurants nearby as well as great places to walk. The rooms are quite small, but our executive room on the top floor had a reasonable amount of space.

"Great Location, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff"
howards50, 14 Novembre 2022

We really enjoyed our stay at the Huxley Hotel which is in Nyhavn, the canal district. There are many nearby restaurants within walking disrance. Our room was comfortable, albeit small, and a card key is used, the Wifi is free and toiletires are provided. They have general use computers and the NY Times International Edition is available in the lobby, which is a great sitting area. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast which had eggs, breakfast meats, smoked fish, yogurt, pancakes, and home-made jams.

I had the best time with my two friends in Copenhagen this weekend. We loved the hotel and all of the employees here were very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and in such a great location. I would definitely come back and stay here again!

I stayed here for two nights with my friends and loved it! The locations is really convenient and you can walk almost everywhere from the hotel. The rooms are clean and workers are very helpful. Would definitely stay again!

"Cute Stay in Copenhagen"
matthewpWPG, 23 Octobre 2022

Room was modern, although tight. Comfy bed, great bathroom and shower pressure but again, tight. Breakfast was great but additional 150DKK. Bike rental was easy from hotel which was nice. Location was great, close to water, restaurants, and subway. Street noise could a bit loud (garbage pickup day). Staff were helpful.

"Great Hotel"
bhjaltalin, 22 Octobre 2022

The location is perfect if you are going shopping or to Tivoli. Nyhavn is only 2 minutes walk with great restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms clean. The staff is very helpful Definitely recommend!

"A great hotel in the central of Copenhagen"
Peter B, 26 Septembre 2022

A great hotel with a fantastic service in the central of Copenhagen. Since it is located in the central they do not have any parking places which is one of the downsides, but if you are prepared to walk 500m it is no problem finding a parking place. The breakfast was great and with a great service there as well you really felt welcome. If the rooms would have had AC it would be 5 stars, but since we visited it in the summer the room was very hot and you had to sleep with the window open which has a lot of noise. (it is not noisy at all with a closed window)

"Holiday in Copenhagen"
J1741GCtimh, 25 Septembre 2022

We came to the Huxley with no preconceived idea of the quality of the hotel. As we stayed for 3 days our visit got better and better. The staff is friendly helpful and wants to make sure that you're having a good time, the continental breakfast is extensive with lots of choices for lots of different people from different places. The location was close to everything. I cannot say enough, I really enjoyed myself and am looking forward to coming back in the future. Stay here

"If it wasn't for hot weather I would have rate it excellent..."
Stinsa, 28 Août 2022

Visited this hotel a couple of days prior to boarding our cruise. The location is great. Right in the middle of all the beautiful things Copenhagen has to offer. You can walk easily to all the main attractions (little mermaid, castle, Tivoli, Hyhavn etc.). The rooms are nice, although the bathrooms are a little too small. But one thing that I forgot to check and was really lacking because of the hot weather: AC.... They did have a little fan in one of the cupboards that we used. Breakfast was great. Lots of options. If it's not a hot summer I would definitely stay here again. Service is also very friendly.

"We will definitely come back! Thank you!"
theresecJ4772RE, 28 Août 2022

A great team and a super clean modern hotel! They were all extremely helpful and smiley! This hotel is very well located and we will definitely come back. I can only recommend this hotel! Thank you! See you soon

"Good CPH hotel, nice location."
JusticeofthePeace, 17 Août 2022

We stayed here for 5 nights. As advertised, we expected that there will be an AC in our room, but there is none. Not sure if this is standard among all CPH hotels as it is our first time to visit Denmark and I know that certain European cities do not customarily use AC (due to the climate). Thankfully, Copenhagen summer is pleasantly cool at 16-19C at night and we did not encounter a freak hearwave during our visit. We cracked the window open to let some breeze in, and the staff lent us an extra electric fan (we used 2). Rituals toiletries are much appreciated. Breakfast was basic but good enough and reasonably priced. Staff is courteous. Housekeeping missed to clean our room 1 time, but the receptionist made up for it with some fresh towels, toiletries, and complimentary premium water. Hotel location is a good 5 to 10 minute walk from the Kongens Nytorv Metro Station which is tolerable except when it is pouring outdoors. The cobblestone pathways are a bit of a challenge when dragging huge luggage. All in all, we experienced a good Danish welcome and hospitality at this hotel.

"excellent hotel inthe perfect location"
DouglasR1318, 14 Juillet 2022

less than a 10 minute walk from the Kongens Nytorv metro station {direct from the airport 36dkr). Check in smooth, lady on reception, excellent, friendly and informative. Room was ready, not much of a view but was comfortable, bed was excellent, shower was powerful and refreshing (watch out for flooding the bathroom floor) TV, kettle, water. Breakfast, wow. The best scrambled eggs ever.. you could have boiled or an omelette, apart from the excellent cooked food, there was a cold table, salmon, vegetables, yoghurt, fruit. freshly cooked bread and pastries. Location, I think everyone will say it is in the best location for everything, it is. 20 minute walk to Tivoli gardens or the botaniclal gardens and butterfly park. Be warned it will take longer as there are many distractions on the way. Nyhavn is just around the corner (5 minutes) with plenty of bars and restaraunts and starting points for canal cruise and hop off bus. 20 minutes to Christiania (well worth a vist). would i stay again? yep, no problem. Excellent hotel, thank you. oh, they also have bicycles available if you wish to go a little further afield.

"Super nice place - perfect location - great bicyles"
lilibern, 25 Juin 2022

Did you know that Copenhagen is the most bicycle friendly city in the world ? Even better than Amsterdam. And the Huxley hotel offers free bicycles to use. The location of this hotel couldn't be better. its nicely renovated, not too expensive, nice for families, great team at the reception who take their time to give you tipps on what to explore, up to date design. Short; we had a wonderful stay as a family and if we ever come back to CPH we'll make sure to stay at the Huxley again.

"Quiet hotel in a good location"
raphaelgarti, 24 Mai 2022

Overall, I would recommend the BW Huxley Copenhagen. I booked a premium room, which was not big, but okay for two people, and very quiet. Weather was good and we didn't need air conditioning. The location is great, with everything we wanted to go to in a walking distance. Breakfast was good, though there was not a wide variety. The staff is very friendly and ready to answer any question.

"The best hotel in Copenhagen"
marianneblus, 17 Mai 2022

I am danish and find this hotel one of the best in Copenhagen. Very cozy and you will feel at home from day one. The hotel is quiet so you can get a perfect rest. At the same time it is in the center and nice area of Copenhagen. The hotel is personal and the staffs are phenomenal. I enjoyed my stay and will definitly come back.

"Nice hotel, with a few small "but's""
Michael T, 05 Mai 2022

The Huxley is well located - central but on a quiet street. Or room (superior category) was small but well appointed: nice furniture, a wide bed... Breakfast was fine, but nothing special and a bit expensive in my view. Service was very friendly. A few small things: - Bed was a bit hard - although the hotel and rooms are modern inside, the windows are still the old ones (hard to open/close and don't filter street noise). - the wardrobe is very small - the bathroom is quite tiny. That would be ok if the sink had a decent size (seems to be made for small kids) and if the shower could be closed (taking a shower inevitably meant flooding the floor) For the sink and shower, design was chosen over comfort).

"Excellent hotel"
cruzfool2005ft, 28 Avril 2022

Wonderful hotel within proximity to everything in Copenhagen. Nicely updated rooms. We took the metro from the airport & it was only a short walk. Easy walk to bus & metro plus all the main sights Inc. nyhavn & Christiana. Wonderful front desk staff

"Great hotel but economy room tiny"
Juliemac2563, 27 Avril 2022

Well situated a couple of streets from the famous Nyhavn street. Metro from airport - station near by. Very clean, quiet hotel. Didn't use the bar or restaurant as so many nearby to try. The rooms were well equipped- decent hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, good Wi-Fi and lots of plugs and USB points. Nice toiletries, housekeeping daily and clean towels on request. Pleasant staff. Only negative was the very small size of economy room - advertised as shoebox size which is very accurate. Could only access bed from one side so lots of climbing across each other !

"Absolutely recommendable!"
ComeOnGetGoing, 11 Avril 2022

We can absolutely recommend The Huxley Copenhagen! The staff at this hotel is exceptionally forthcoming and service minded. From the first check-in all the way through to checkout we were met with smiles and a constant feeling of being welcome and that they were interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible. The room were spacious, clean and with a modern decor and Danish design. Breakfast were unsurpassable with freshly baked bread, individually made omelettes, fresh fruit and everything else needed for a both hearty and healthy meal. Situated near Nyhavn and with parking possibilities near by makes it a perfect hotel for a city experience. And again the staff - they make you feel like you are the most important guest ever! Well done Huxley.

"A great base for exploring"
jrmayoh, 07 Avril 2022

We had a wonderful stay, the rooms were clean and modern. The man working at the front desk was very helpful (we stayed on the 22nd March) and friendly. The hotel is centrally located with everything in walking distance. There are bikes outside the hotel to use as well. Our bags were stored until our flight the following evening with really helped. Thanks for a great stay!

"We had a very nice stay"
Jörgen D, 17 Mars 2022

An all through excellent hotel; good location, fast and efficient check-in and check-out, nice rooms, excellent breakfast and friendly service. A special thank you to the very friendly and helpful ladies who took care of the breakfast.

"Retreat"
reimersa, 13 Mars 2022

Great sevice. Very nice room. Breakfast a bit booring and not much to choose from. But overall a great stay. Close to centre and restaurants. No parking outside but close enough to a parking garage. Overall satisfied. Very nice staff

"Fabulous stay!"
192vikkir, 12 Décembre 2021

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at The Huxley. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had booked an economy room which was on the smaller side, but was perfect for our needs and was immaculately clean and very cosy. The bed was really comfortable and came with 2 quilts which was great, and the pillows were also lovely. The bathroom was like a walk in wet room and the shower was incredible: the shower head was the size of a dinner plate and the water gets lovely and hot. We had breakfast in the hotel one morning of our stay which has a lovely selection - pastries and jams, breads, Fresh fruits, Cereals, cheese and meats, olives, fried breakfasts and a selection of fruit juices. Also there were various teas, coffee and even the ingredients for a Bloody Mary! :) In terms of location it was brilliant - 5 minute walk from the Metro station which runs direct to the airport and only 5 minutes walk from Nyhavn with the great selection of restaurants, and the Christmas market and main shopping street. We couldn't have been better located. Overall we were really happy with our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. We hope to return to Copenhagen at some point for a summer visit and we would definitely choose this hotel again.

"Very nice and central in Cph"
ClausLiisbergKamp, 07 Décembre 2021

I can rocoment this hotel full of wonderful danish furniture. Rooms are great. And breakfast is wonderful. Everything is in walking distance. It was rainy days, so we had great use of their umbrillas.

"Amazing Stay!"
robertkG4133PW, 21 Novembre 2021

Wow! Newly remodeled rooms are amazing! Staff I was fantastic as always. There is no better place to stay in Copenhagen, quick walk to so many famous places in Copenhagen. The breakfast is delicious and the lounge is a great place to enjoy a beverage.

"Perfect for what we needed"
jswan1963, 17 Novembre 2021

As others have written, staff was good, room was very small, but totally satisfactory for our needs, and the location is excellent. We love to walk when we travel so the Huxley's location was perfect. In the city center, we could walk to many of the areas/attractions we were interested in seeing. Hotel is near TONS of restaurants/bars, though I'm pretty sure one might need to go a little farther into the city to get less "touristy" food. Hotel breakfast is outstanding and the bar is small and friendly. Huxley is near 3 Metro stations, 2 of which are about 5 minute walks. Proximity to Metro also makes Huxley a good choice for using the Metro to get to/from the airport, especially if you're traveling light. My wife and I have "backpack-style" luggage and our friends have wheeled suitcases. Though the cobblestone streets made the wheeled luggage a little more challenging, the distance was short enough that our friends were ok with the walk. Finally, though the room as very small, the bed was comfy and the shower was great. As a basecamp for seeing Copenhagen, The Huxley is ideal for people looking for a clean, affordable hotel.

"Excellent Boutique Hotel"
siggeirthor, 16 Octobre 2021

Had a fantastic stay at this newly renovated boutique hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home from the moment we stepped in. Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated and breakfast was to a high standard. Highly recommend this friendly and trendy hotel.

"A good choice"
dulceRomanie, 27 Septembre 2021

I was very pleased with this hotel. Very clean room, friendly staff, easy to get to the center and the subway, even the train station was quite close, about 20 minutes walk. I noticed an aspect that enchanted me, meaning that in the bathroom there were cosmetics from the Rituals range. In the surroundings there is also a supermarket from the Netto chain of stores (they seemed to me the cheapest in Copenhagen). The hotel was very well adapted to the Covid19 pandemic conditions (disinfected everywhere, warning signs and social distance).

"Nice stay for city-trip"
Richard-Roadman, 12 Septembre 2021

This hotel goes by two names; The Huxley Copenhagen but its also known as the Best Western City Hotel. The hotel was recently renovated so everything has a new shinny modern look. That goes also for the rooms. The hotel is located near city center and in walking distance, 10 minutes),of metrostation with direct service to the airport. There was good wifi, in-room coffee facilities and a big tv with channels in several languages. The bed was also decent sized and very comfortable; I slept very well on them. Staff was friendly and fast with check-in and out. The hotel serves breakfast for a additional 150kr. Used the buffet once but I thought it wasn't worth the money; choices of bread/pastries are limited and other items could also be a bit more expanded and variable. The attention point in my opinion were; there is no airco in the room, just a tabletop fan, and there was also no fridge. I missed a hotel/room information folder with the regular hotel and surroundings info. For a hotel of this "grandeur" I think those items are unmissable. What also bothered me was that several nights there were some noisy customers at the pub on the corner of the street and that the garbage was early, and loudly, collected. But all in all I had a great time in the hotel and the city and when you look for a Best Western hotel; it is a good choice.

"Great"
paul6809182394, 23 Août 2021

Great classy Boutiq Hotel in a great location. All you need for a few days visit to Copenhagen.Simple yet elegant in interior design. Close to restaurants,Bars and the interesting parts of Copenhagen. Id come back for sure.

"A wonderfull stay"

Really good team, perfect place in the city but quiet and nice looking decoration. It was a perfect stay for all the family in the city of Copenhagen. Think's a lot for all and I would like to come again !

"Nice hotel in Copenhagen City"
HenrikMikkelsen, 09 Novembre 2020

Hotel City Copenhagen are a great hotel. Nice rooms with danish design. The hotel are within walking distance to City Centre, musums, theatre and shopping. The hotel are in a quiet street. I have stayed here several times.

"Great personal service"
deuce16, 28 Août 2020

The hotel is going through renovations which inevitably affected the levels of noise. There were a few other issues. The room safe wasn't large enough to contain a laptop and there was no fridge which I would have expected and appreciated in quite a warm room. The manual fan was really useful but an installed room fan was what I would have expected from a 4 star hotel. There were many positives though from a hotel that's obviously going through change. The customer service was personal, warm and very friendly. This means a lot and conveyed a real wish to please the customer. The room decor was smart and good looking though on a business trip I wished for a bigger desk. Great looking bathroom with Rituals toiletries that were always topped up. Lovely hotel. I wish them well with their renovations

"Great Location"
GeorgiP, 28 Février 2020

Hotel has great location- a few minutes walk to the metro and Nyhavn. Room was quiet, good size, a bit old basic furnishing and kind of dark (not much daylight), bathroom was small. Breakfast was decent and staff was nice and helpful. Wifi everywhere.

Good location in walking distance (5-10 minutes) of almost everything you would go to see in Copenhagan. Staff were great - really friendly and helpful. Stayed on 2nd floor ... Maintenance wise and decorative order perhaps not great. Door thresholds outside rooms were all cracked and subsided. Room itself was okay but not newly decorated or fresh and our shower had a strange stale smell (like a wet umbrella left in a bag!). Dimensions of room (eso shower) were really small and bed mattress was not very comfortable. It was also quite noisy when we stayed - albeit weekend time - and the accommodation next to the hotel seemed to be a bit of a party house. If the prices were not so unreasonably high elsewhere it is likely I would not have chosen this hotel to stay but as noted the staff are a great asset and the location is good and within seconds of other accommodation charging just as much or more. Mixed feelings about whether to recommend as I really did not like the city overall so that taints my view to a great degree, however, if it is a fleeting visit then perhaps it isn't so bad. Staff are it's biggest asset.

"Great location and cozy hotel"
Jamiluka, 29 Janvier 2020

I stay at Best Western during my business trips to Copenhagen. I absolutely love the location (close to numerous cafes, Nyhavn) and reception staff is amazing. Breakfast is good - broad variety of selection for different taste. Rooms are very cozy and has all necessary amenities (kettle, hair-dryer, TV).

"the last day"
waterguy555, 09 Janvier 2020

We booked this hotel as we were leaving the city the next day and it was close to the metro. Very nice hotel with helpful staff. Close to the city center, water, restaurants and comfortable beds. Be hungry for breakfast. One of the best I have had at any hotel. Everything you could imagine and plenty of seating. They also rent bicycles.

"Nice central and friendly hotel"
linnea394, 04 Décembre 2019

The hotel is very central, is clean and friendly staff. The room was way to hot, and I didn't manage to control the heat and woke up several times during the night. If I would have stayed longer than one night I would have reported the problem.

"Location, location, location "
MS1900, 20 Novembre 2019

We stayed here for an extended weekend and the hotel is worth it for what your money gets you here - a city centre hot location and a decent sized room for an expensive city like Copenhagen. The bathrooms are a bit small, especially the minuscule shower area (not for the faint hearted if you're tall and broad built) but other than that a good hotel with free breakfast, 5 min walk to the Kongen Nytorv metro and 10 min walk to the popular touristy Nyvhavn area

"OK ! #hotelcitycph"
Grzegorz K, 17 Novembre 2019

OK ! Everything was fine, nice place. Good breakfast. It is very good point to visit interestiing places and museums. The weather is, how to say, very stable, and you have to take it into account. #hotelcitycph

"So Glad We Stayed Here"
Evelyn C, 17 Novembre 2019

We spent four nights here and were absolutely thrilled with our stay for many different reasons. We were upgraded to a slightly larger room with a refrigerator on the top floor. Our room was clean, comfy, and very quiet. The hotel has a wonderful location: it's just a short walk to Nyhavn, many restaurants, and Kongen Nytrov (with 3 metro lines). Housekeeping was efficient and kept our coffee supplies replenished. WiFi worked well and the TV had English-speaking channels. The staff were very friendly and welcoming frequently asking how our visit was going. The breakfast was amazing, offering an incredible variety of pastries, eggs, cheese, breads, yogurts, meats, etc. We hope we can return to Copenhagen and this is where we will stay.

"Excellent"
627jenineb, 09 Octobre 2019

Our stay here was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is just a short walk to Nyhavn restaurants and cafes and is also not far from Kongens Nytorv metro. Fifteen minutes walk will also see you at the Stroget pedestrian shopping area. We will definitely be coming back again.

"Ideal location in the city"
John M, 01 Octobre 2019

We stayed five nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and a special mention must be made of Josephine on Reception. The hotel is ideally located in the city as we found most of the attractions were in walking distance. The choice and standard of the included breakfast were very good. We had a superior double room which we found to be a good size. However the bathroom was quite small but adequate. Overall we would stay again if we return to Copenhagen.

"Ultra Modern Hotel in the Heart of the City"
rkgallamore, 25 Septembre 2019

This hotel is remarkable in it's design and function. Our room was very small by our usual standards affording just enough space to accommodate us and luggage for two. The room was clean and modern and the buffet breakfast provided with our stay was plentiful and delicious. The hotel is central to some of Copenhagen's major attractions. Our room faced out onto the street and some very early morning construction related noise next door got us up before daylight. All the more time to explore this lovely city.

"Pleasant all the way. "
705dagb, 21 Septembre 2019

We stayed one night with our dog. From our first phone call we met a very pleasant member of staff. It turned out they all are really lovely people. Perfect location, perfect room and lovely beds with lovely Cushions. And the breakfast includes the best bacon you ever had. We strongly recommend this hotel!!!!

"Decent for a short stay "
JoannaK_London, 16 Septembre 2019

Staff - by far, the biggest USP of this hotel. Everyone was beyond friendly and helpful, one can't ask for a better service. Location - good. Almost by the water front, and a short walk from the city centre and Christiania about 20mins on foot. Food - breakfasts were ok'ish. A choice of standard offerings - eggs, cereals, bacon, some fruit, veggies and a couple of cheese options. Main facilities - pleasant. Room - rather small (I did stay in single rooms before but this one was really small) and with windows overlooking to my neighbours' room - not ideal at any time of the day but especially evening time... bathroom was kept clean, but the shower curtains weren't the newest and there was a bit of a ‘drain' smell in the bathroom.

"Great Hotel in Nyhavn area"
Kimby99, 11 Septembre 2019

Our stay was truly wonderful. Everything was very clean and the decor was modern and hip. Service by the staff was superb, specifically Tobias & Nicolina. We arrived early and Tobias allowed us to check in a little early & then answered many important questions re. the adventuring we wanted to do. Location was great with easy access to many top attractions in this beautiful city. Lots of great restaurants nearby in the Nyhavn district. The rooms are very well appointed and the breakfast buffet was fabulous with every possible item one could ever crave for breakfast. Overall, our stay at this hotel was perfect. Thanks again to the stellar staff for making our stay in Copenhagen so wonderful and enjoyable!!

"Clean, comfortable and well located"
kayrbayr, 09 Septembre 2019

The bed was comfortable and there is a kettle for tea and coffee. The bathroom is clean and has all the amenities you will need. Despite staying in a single room, it was quite spacious and comfortable. It is also very quiet. Breakfast was also very nice, with choices of cooked and cold items. The staff are very nice and they are present 24/7. They lent me a very sturdy umbrella and also kept my luggage until very late. Highly recommend booking here. #hotelcitycph

"Good location"
889_san, 08 Septembre 2019

Very clos to the Nyhavn area, and the waterfront as well as close to the metro, this hotel is easy to reach from the airport. Smaqllish and not very luxurious, and with a somewhat limited breakfast selection, this hotel still uses real keys and not key cards. The rooms are decorated in a kind of Scandinavian functionality style. Friendly receptionists and OK cleaning.

"Worst hotel in Copenhagen"
karolinaa762, 27 Août 2019

I am on business trips in Copenhagen at least once per month for the last 5 years and this hotel is a nightmare. I am 160 cm and 50 kg person and I am too big for the bed and shower. I fell out of the bed during the night because it is only 1 m width, when I am taking a shower, I cannot turn around, because there is not enough space. The worst is noise. I can hear a person breathing and turning around in the bed in the room next door or upstairs. That is scary and it feels that someone is in your room. Please avoid this place, espacially if you want to get some sleep in the night.

"Too expensive for what it offers"
Micsunica, 14 Août 2019

Let's start with the positive. Yes, it's very well located and staff is nice. I got the ‘upgrade' to a bigger room which I found a little suspect but I took it. But I just cannot agree with the star category. It is just so arbitrary in each case. Now I think 3 stars are enough. The furniture is old, the mattress is dirty, the windows are blocked (I just could not close one little window and the receptionist didn't seem to remember how to do it), the smell of old building is everywhere.

"Top location"
Hipakai, 07 Août 2019

I am giving this five stars due to the staff and the location. Pricing seemed a bit high, but well worth it. The breakfast was amazing...best ever in this type of hotel. Yes, it was that good! We stayed a full week there and walked easily to all the top sights. It was an xtremely positive experience.

"Great location"
Larry S, 06 Août 2019

This hotel was in a good location for walking to most sites. The rooms were small but adequate. The breakfast in the morning had many selections. The staff was most helpful. Like many European hotels, facecloths are not supplied in the room. They were in the lobby restrooms, so take one of those to your room.

"Nice hotel, good location, great breakfast!"
Glenn K, 01 Août 2019

We stayed here in late June. Very convenient location by bus, a bit longer to the Metro. Very close to Nyhavn. Staff was great. Room was decently sized and beds comfortable. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we experienced anywhere in Scandinavia. As some other reviews note, only the highest level (Deluxe) rooms have AC. It was a bit toasty when we were there, but the provided fan, and free ice from the bar kept things reasonably comfortable

"Convenient Location"
Susan O, 31 Juillet 2019

Chose this hotel as convenient to Metro station from Airport and near to city sites and Hop On, Hop Off buses. Friendly greeting on arrival with upgrade to our room. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable. Close to Nyhaven area and about 20 minutes from Tivoli Gdns. Breakfast included in price of room and plentiful selection for most tastes. Good value for hotel in Copenhagen. Rooms clean and comfortable although warm so we had windows open. Fans were provided though.

"Good Hotel"
Ursula P, 28 Juillet 2019

This was well located, clean, and had a delicious breakfast buffet included. Nicely accommodated 3 people, so my son had a real bed. Jazz classics decorated the walls which was cute. The employees were super nice and amazingly helpful with all of our needs. The wifi was good and a nice big lobby was very accommodating to my crazy jet lag - up at 1:30 in the morning. I'll mention the buffet again because it was super taste and I want to duplicate it next time I have a brunch party. The only issue I had was the heat. The rooms didn't have AC and we were very hot, but I believe were were there during a heat wave, so this may only be an occasional thing. Also, they do provide some fans, so that brings a little relief. I'd definitely stay there again.

"Basic hotel, with good location and breakfast"
Alex35, 21 Juillet 2019

Stayed 1 night in standard room. Rooms are very small, with limited storage place for 2 people. No air conditioning, so even in cool weather (was 18-20 C) room was humid and warm, not good for sleeping, even with window open. Bathroom tiny and basic. Location is very good - quiet street, few hundred meters away from Nyshaven. Breakfast is tasty and very good quality - one of the positives for the hotel. Staff was efficient and friendly at reception. Was ok for 1 night, quite pricey (OK we are in Denmark).

"Make sure you book one of the few rooms with air conditioning"
njdoyle, 19 Juillet 2019

Clean hotel, small functional rooms, dated but that is the style. Simple breakfast, small bar....all fine but the room was boiling hot and it was only 70 degrees outside. That and the lack of fridge in the room means that I would not come back Pity...nice location

"Great location, friendly staff"
ElizPradaFredes, 11 Juillet 2019

+ The rooms were nice and clean. + Staffmembers were really helpful, friendly and welcoming. + The location is close enough to Tivoli, Ströget etc to get there by foot, but also far enough to be nice and quiet. The street was not very trafficated, we only heard the occational drunk singing really late (or really early). + Really nice breakfast buffé. However no vegan options, although I didn't ask. + Well working WiFi. + Ofc smoke-free! - The rooms are too hot. Outside temperature wasn't even that waem, around 18°C but it was impossible to sleep without the window wide open.

"Great location, great staff, great breakfast"
dbctraveler, 02 Juillet 2019

The hotel is on a quiet street just 1/2 block to the water. Easy walk to the Nyhaven area where there is every food and ice cream awaiting you. It was a little warm on the 5th floor, but it was a hot week when we were there. The staff couldn't be nicer. There is a small bar next to the front desk. Breakfast is wonderful and included in the cost of the room. The rooms are adequate, for sure. Two elevators always easy to get.

"Great little hotel. Well situated. But now highly fragranced."
Anne F, 20 Juin 2019

I've stayed in this hotel 3-4 times. It's well situated, has a nice vibe, and boasts an amazing breakfast. But the last time I stayed at the hotel, it was highly fragranced. Some new detergent or fabric softener that was overpowering. Take note anyone with chemical sensitivity.

"Location: great! Comfort: so-so"
astigarnold, 17 Juin 2019

Although the travel agency booked the hotel for us, we were surprised that most hotels do not have Air condition... Desk fans were available but not as effective as AC. Convenient store nearby is very small.

"Small rooms but right in the city center"
Berthelot22, 08 Juin 2019

Except for the room and the bath room rather small everything in this hotel was excellent Including breakfast . We would love to come back to this hotel. We found the price reasonable and the location just great. Copenhagen is definitely with its people a wonderful week end destination. We'll definitely visit once more Denmark and Sweden.

"Mold smell"
farelius, 29 Mai 2019

I have stayed several times before at this hotel and wanted to return as it is centrally located. However, I was very disappointed this time. First the ok part: the location, not far from Nyhavn and the central area of down-town Copenhagen. Friendly staff at checkout, not so at check-in. Breakfast has an ok selection but the scrambled eggs were watery and not tasty. Coffee from self-service machine not from beans but from powder. Now to the not so good part: my room on the fourth floor smelled badly of mold from the bathroom! You would expect that the staff would detect such bad smell when cleaning the room and would not offer the room to customers. Birds poo on both windows (see photo). I had difficulty sleeping due to the mold smell and I will not return again.

"Nice hotel, good location, great staff."
Pranav79, 19 Mai 2019

We stayed here for 4 nights with my wife and a 2 year old daughter. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast is excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room did not have air conditioning but had a window which provided plenty of cold air at night. The location is great. Many major tourist attractions and metro stop are at walkable distance. I highly recommend this hotel.

"High price for a ferry cabin"
PeaVey11, 09 Mai 2019

A business trip, short overnight, late arrival and early departure. No big deal, basic needs to be covered, a shower and a place to sleep. No fuss. But, never have paid so much for a ferry cabin - size closet, cannot be more than 10 sqm. Will probably not return, ever.

"Perfect hotel"
Sheantullagh, 07 Mai 2019

Fantastic placed in the middle of Copenhagen, close to Nyhavn with beautiful designer rooms, may be a bit small rooms. Very friendly staff and very professional A fantastic breakfast, never had it better

"Nice hotel close to everything"
Meander290826, 02 Mai 2019

Nice hotel in walking distance form everything. Very close to railwaystation and city centre. Despite this, no noise from traffic. You can be in the airport in 30 minutes. Have stayed here repeatedly, and the breakfast are excellent

"Comfortable"
Mobile36205077946, 16 Avril 2019

Great hotel close to many places in the center of Copenhagen, comfortable and fairly spacious rooms and well serviced. Prices are reasonable. Breakfast could have included more variety but was good overall.

"Great Location"
danvil_br, 13 Avril 2019

I spent 2 nights at Best Western Plus Hotel City Copenhagen with my wife and 10 years old daughter. Location is fantastic and breakfast buffet is excellent. Room had a very decent size, however was a little warm and the air conditioning did not keep up with the demand – nothing that was major in April, but could be a problem in July/August. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

"Good hotel....but could be better"
wittonlaneb6, 08 Avril 2019

Just returned from a weekend in Copenhagen and 1 night in this hotel. Situated on a quiet street but very close to all the local attractions and great base. Room was ok if not a little dated and considering how pricey eating out can be a night with breakfast proved good value. Beds were comfy....slept well but walking 30000 steps helped. Breakfast was limited but tasty.....bacon was gorgeous and lots of coffee and Danish pastries. Check in and out was quick and friendly......we left bags in hotel before and after checkout.... All in all a decent hotel.

"Noise from street, otherwise good hotel"
Pasi A, 20 Mars 2019

We had a room at third floor facing street between Friday and Monday. The street has little traffic, but there were occasional noisy night-time groups walking by. In an average modern hotel this wouldn't be a problem, but the hotel's windows have minimal noise insulation. Otherwise the hotel is good: nice breakfast buffet, decent bed, good location and spacious room.

"Clean, comfortable and conveniently sited"
Quest14411061508, 10 Mars 2019

Would stay here again. Very pleasant staff and good breakfast. Near bus ,metro and train links. Lots of restaurants to choose from, plenty of choice and variety. No problems with language as everyone spoke English.

"Defiantly not again"
450baukjed, 09 Mars 2019

The breakfast and location is nice. But that's definitely all positive I can say here. Rooms are overpriced even for the location. When addressing this to the reception staff the comment was that they ‘need' to follow the prices of other hotels around... Beds are small and saggy, rooms outdated, shower does does not have sufficient pressure and the list goes on... We left early because everything smelt like burned bacon everywhere. Now we still have to deal with all the luggage that smells.... Defiantly not coming back and would not recommend this hotel!

"Conveniently located hotel but weird set ups in the room"
Patricia L, 03 Mars 2019

The hotel was under remodeling works during my stay. Hoewever, the room where I was in had weird settings. I had to look around to find the heater (which was not on when I arrived although it was cold). The bathroom sink is very small, you have to take the cover of the toilet down to be able to flush it and the bathroom is small. However, the staff was very nice and helpful and they also offer a nice breakfast buffet.

"Weekend break"
00blonde, 19 Février 2019

We picked this hotel based on its location which is very near Nyhavn which is the most picturesque spot in the city. The hotel is in a quiet side street with the waters edge a few steps away. Perfect for exploring the city on foot or by boat. Lots of restaurants within a minutes walk. Staff were friendly & helpful. We stayed in a family room which we upgraded to from a standard room. The large bed (2 singles in size with a double mattress on top) were comfortable as were the duvet & pillows. The room also had a couch (with a pull out bed for kids) & 2 chairs & coffee table. Good sized ‘smart' Samsung Tv. Decor & cleanliness were good. Walk in Shower was fine with good water pressure. complimentary shower gel etc was replaced on our 2nd night. The tea/coffee provided in room was not replenished though. There were building works on the exterior of the hotel but there was no noise over the weekend. Breakfast was plentiful & varied although the bacon both mornings was inedible. Bikes for hire outside should you wish to partake!

"Excellent location. "
TomCzarnik, 03 Février 2019

Very good hotel for weekend stay. Best thing about this hotel is it's location. Close to all attractions and many dining/drinking options. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is a good choice. They are renovating at the moment some of its rooms so there is bit of building work going on but it didn't bother us as it's only between 9am and 6pm. We got email from hotel telling us about this in advance which I think was really nice touch. You can also hire bikes from the hotel.

"Study trip"
jxxxxx_gxxxxxx, 27 Janvier 2019

Stayed here for three nights. Great location, friendly staff and good variety of food and beverages for breakfast. The room was a bit small, but I had the smallest room on the floor so I guess the others are a bit more comfy and the price value ratio was good even for a small room.

"Fine hotel in centre city"
Fred M, 08 Janvier 2019

The Best Western Plus Hotel City Copenhagen is a relatively small hotel on a quiet side street in the center of Copenhagen. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. We were fortunate to have booked a room with air conditioning as we were visiting during a warm spell. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast buffet including both hot and cold dishes. The hotel staff was polite and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Great location. hIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

"Nyhaven city break"
31Denise555, 27 Décembre 2018

Stayed here for second year running. Nice trendy hotel friendly staff and good breakfast. It's in Nyhaven district which is lovely nice restaurants Xmas markets and close to Tivoli Gardens. Would recommend hotel and district.

"Great Hotel"
Lauren R, 26 Décembre 2018

Visiting during Christmas this was the perfect choice of Hotel to stay at. A great location within walking distance of many of the main attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting us with our questions and helped us book our Christmas Eve dinner. A good variety of breakfast options and wifi included.

"Good Hotel in the centre of Copenhagen"
Sagi A, 03 Décembre 2018

Very good location, close to all major sites, just minutes by walk, great staff which was both helpful and advise us for places to go and what to see. . very nice breakfest, with a good selection of fruits, juices, cheese, cold meet and other dishes.

"Down by the canal"
ChaZha24, 01 Décembre 2018

Loved the area where the hotell is situated, on a quite street right by the canal. Very close to Nyhavn and also the main street Strøget. It was great to rent one of the hotell bikes for a day to travel around like a true danish (100 DKK for 24 hours). Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. The rooms where a bit outdated with old carpeting who has seen better days, and with a lot of nuks and corners comes dust (like the windowsill). With some new carpets, windows and beds, and a mini fridge in the room to keep food and drink cold with would have had the highest score.

"This hotel has everything"
Helen H, 29 Novembre 2018

We've just spent 5 days at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for exploring on foot, 5 minutes and you are at the lovely Nyhavn area, with restaurants cafes and Christmas market stalls. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed apart from a fridge, to keep our milk cool, the hotel staff gave me a bucket of ice every day. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast lady from Bali went out of her way to make our breakfast experience one to remember ( the crispy Danish bacon Is delicious) Be prepared that Copenhagen is expensive. The people are so friendly and very helpful. Each room has tea/ coffe making facilities although it doesn't state a kettle on their website.

"Great hotel for the money."
Apotekarn, 18 Novembre 2018

Great hotel for the money. Clean and tidy, nice interiour and a great breakfast buffét. Not the biggest but fresh and good. Very central and near to everything but still very quite and calm. Use the subway or walk from this hotel.

"Excellent Location"
Meander269151, 18 Novembre 2018

This hotel is at city center, everything at 1 Km distance. You can walk-down anytime. Rooms are bit tiny but I guess that is how it is in Copenhagen anyway. Otherwise, nice place to stay. If you like good food you can walk-down towards canal and enjoy some good restaurants.

"Great location, some missed opportunities when it comes to interior"
astridheiremans, 16 Novembre 2018

Price - Quality was ok, however bit disappointed on the interior. Old fashioned lobby and somewhat strange choice on the interior waterfall ?! Facilities in the room pretty much ok though! Check out room size as some are very small. Bike rental: top!

"OK"
jjk988, 07 Novembre 2018

The BW City is centrally placed in Copenhagen. It is a rather old building, but the rooms are modern although the bathrooms are small. They serve an excellent breakfast buffet with good homemade food.

"A good hotel"
Mattias Å, 03 Novembre 2018

Rather easy to get to from the airport by metro and a five minutes walk. Tastefully decorated reception with efficient staff. The rooms were nice and clean and like the reception tastefully decorated.

"Nice stay"
Heather C, 27 Octobre 2018

I stayed here for two nights and explored the city. The location is the best part. It was so easy for me to take the metro to and from the airport. Everything is close by and walkable. The breakfast had tons of options including eggs, cereal, yogurt, meat, cheese and more. I also got a free room upgrade because of my BW Gold Status. The room was good. Comfy bed. The shower may seem small by American standards, but it didn't bother me at all and you're in Europe so to be expected. Overall, good stay. I was here in October so I didn't need air conditioning but indeed there is none.

"Lovely hotel with excellent staff"
Brian M, 18 Octobre 2018

This hotel is centrally located on a quiet street in Copenhagen. It is about 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro. The reception staff were very welcoming and assisted with our requests. Our room rate included breakfast which consisted of a wide range of food including some hot items, cereals, yoghurts, bread, pastries, salads and fruit. Our room was spacious with a TV and tea/coffee facilities and an excellent shower. The hotel also has a small bar. Overall we would stay here again.

"Stay before cruise"
Andrew D, 06 Octobre 2018

Great spot to stay before picking up our cruise, very central and easy walks everywhere. Room was fine, bathroom small but ok, breakfast very good and look good value for $ compared to others we heard about.

"Wonderful Copenhagen position"
Christine E, 29 Septembre 2018

This hotel was within walking distance of so many attractions - including the stop for the Hop On Hop Off Bus, restaurants, waterways, shopping. Our room was a good size and contained all we needed. Fortunately we could open our front window which allowed a nightly breeze. No air-con would be a problem had the weather been really hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast more than adequate, small bar - all in all a great find.

"Good location for sight seeing"
Doulos, 28 Septembre 2018

This was a last minute choice as our intended accommodation was unsuitable. We were given a great welcome and shown to a large twin room on the forth floor overlooking the street and an hotel opposite. Remember this is a city hotel and there will always be people noises but very little passing traffic as you are on a side street. The staff were fantastic. Tobias, Kristian, Peter and Josephine at reception. They could help with anything. Housekeeping were very good. Also the breakfast staff. The breakfast is a buffet choice and is very varied and fresh. Included in our room rate which was very welcome. Good seating areas and nice bar. Free wi-fi and internet access available. Ideal location for walking to explore this interesting city. Lots of local restaurants/cafes to suit all tastes and budgets close by.

"Great location and staff, disappointing cleanness "
Lilla_Lotta, 25 Septembre 2018

Positive: The location is fantastic, good breakfast and friendly staff Negative: Cleanness (!!!) - a sort of a blue sofa in the room was covered with dust and it looked like it hasn't been vacuumed for ages. A coffee set was placed in a wardrobe, it was dusty, had empty sugar bags and a long black hear. This coffee set is also challenging to use because you have to move a tiny table closer to a plug either near the room entrance or the bed. Water pressure in the shower is just a disaster.

"Great Location,No aircon"
JDA55, 14 Septembre 2018

Standard rooms do not have AirCon, this was ok for me as I only stayed one night and it was not particularly hot. However could be an issue. Very good location, close to river front, central Copenhagen and Metro stop (Kogens Nytorv) which is on direct line to Airport. The area around the Hotel is quiet. Room was small, however fine. Reception/Breakfast room and bar all quite attractive, Reception staff. very helpful and Breakfast adequate.

"Great place to stay"
Cathy C, 11 Septembre 2018

My mother and I stayed at the Best Western Plus City August 22-29 2018. The staff was very friendly and very helpful - always available to answer questions. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The rooms are not large (we had a superior double room), but our room was clean, the beds comfortable and met all our needs. When you're on vacation how much time do you spend in the room? Most important, this hotel is perfectly located. Nyhavn is only a block or so away. The Little Mermaid is about a mile and a half in one direction, Tivoli Garden, The Hans Christian Andersen museum, and the Hard Rock Cafe are about the same distance in another. You can stroll through the Stroget pedestrian shopping area to get there. My mother is 81 years old and uses a walker and she was able to walk to all these places. We would absolutely stay there again and I would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

"Central location - small room"
Jan R, 05 Septembre 2018

I stayed here on a business trip on my way from Sweden to the CPH Airport. The service was friendly and the price quite reasonable considering the general level of hotel prices in Copenhagen. But the room was really tiny. And super hot. I needed to have the window open all night and the loud conversations from the inner yard kept me awake too late.... The bathroom was nice. I had to hurry to the airport way too early so I missed the breakfast. The early breakfast (a plus) was really minimal. The location close to Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn is convenient.

"To Hot and to Small"
Billis1965, 04 Septembre 2018

Our room was very small, the bed could only be got into form one side and the ends of the bed were both against the wall. I was hot, very hot and the fans provided helped a bit. We sleeped with the windows open and the fan on full blast - still hot. The reception area is okay, no wheelchair access and is a whole lot better than the very dated rooms. Seriously needs air conditioning! We spent two months around Europe and this hotel was one of the worst and the most EXPENSIVE by far.

"Best of locations."
maryannl1, 31 Août 2018

We were at the hotel for one night only prior to a cruise. The location is only a block from the Nyhavn canal street. The room was spacious and well appointed. Everything was spotless. Staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast had a variety of foods from fruit to egg and meats. This was our second trip to Copenhagen. I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Lovely lobby, good breakfast."
mimiMexico_df, 30 Août 2018

The hotel lobby is modern and beautiful, you can enjoy it every morning, because that is the place where you'll have your average breakfast (with good bread) My room was small, but the bathroom was really tiny! Even the cabins in a ship, have them bigger. Beds were nice, pillows and covers great. The weather was nice during the days Inspent there, so we disnt need heat, what we needed was AC... which the room has not! So we had to open the window, to a noisy street.... that woke up us every night and/or early morning. Service was spectacular... everyone with a real smile and great attitude. The hotel is very well located... we aimply walked everywhere

"Great location cute hotel"
candytravel92, 22 Août 2018

We chose this hotel as it was less expensive than many but still in a great location. The room was small but fine for a two night stay when we are out most of the time. We were here in August and it's very warm so we have had to have the window open as no ac. Well the noise from the bar at the end of the road is excessive. I am sure staying here in the winter would be fine or in a room at the back. Definitely ask for one of those! The staff couldn't have been more helpful and delightful so if it's not windo opening weather I'd stay here again.

"The bikes and the breakfast are superb"
srf32018, 21 Août 2018

This lovely, boutique, not-like-a-chain hotel in the heart of Copenhagen is a great place to stay. It is very clean. The service is superb. The included breakfast buffet is delicious and ample; we looked forward to it every morning. The rental bikes are affordable and among the most comfortable I've ridden; we had a great time biking through the city the Copenhagen way. (There are not bikes sized for children, however.) And you can't beat the location: walk to Nyhavn, easy bus to Tivoli.

"Nice but room was too warm during August"
SLB1947, 17 Août 2018

Clean neat and small rooms. Great breakfast and bar open late the weather was warm and there is no air conditioning! They do have fans but if room isn't facing street you do not get any ventilation in your room.

"Great location-Nice Stay"
Grace M, 15 Août 2018

We loved the location- it was an easy walk to everything. Our room was small, but very comfortable and nice. The fan in the room was a GREAT touch because it was soo hot outside. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was very nice as well.

"Awesome hotel in great location!"
Vanessa M, 04 Août 2018

I was worried about staying in a Best Western in Europe because I like to stay in more "local" hotels. I am glad I ended up choosing this because it was wonderful. We got the upgrade room for the air conditioning (thank goodness because they've had an oddly hot summer this year) and it was a great size with a nice bathroom and closet. The people at the front desk were not only nice but also very knowledgeable about the city giving tips and suggestions. The location cannot be beat. It is right on the water, in front of the trampolines in the street and less than 5 minute walk to Nyhavn (colorful houses on the canal). It is also less than a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro and 10-20 minutes walking from most sights in the city. They have bikes you can rent for a good price. The breakfast that came with our stay was decent - not the best I've ever had but food is expensive in Copenhagen so we were really happy to have this meal here (included eggs, bacon, breads, other meats and cheeses and yogurt and fruit). Overall great experience, would highly recommend!

"Sweet location"
Jonathan L, 01 Août 2018

Overall, one of the best BW we stayed at... and we've been to many across the US and Canada. The breakfast was super... the bed comfy, the room clean. There's no AC but with windows opened, the cool air comes in and makes it okay.

"Good city centre hotel."
Mark L, 31 Juillet 2018

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in July. Unfortunately during a heat wave and room was stifling as we imagine air conditioning is not normally required. We had to upgrade room as standard room had double bed against one wall and shower room with no room to dry oneself. Pay up the extra and get a deluxe room is my advice. Located in quiet side street, however, it does get noisy especially on Friday night if your room is at front of hotel as very near to Nyhavn. Breakfasts are amazing with huge selection of everything you could wish for and all constantly being replenished. Staff are very helpful. Good value for this prestigious location.

"Nice location,tiny rooms"
Tutku K, 24 Juillet 2018

Location and cleanlinesswise the hotel was really ok but the first standard double bed room we were given was to tiny that we asked to be changed and got a slightly bigger room with two separate beds. The breakfast was quite dissatisfactory although they had a lot of stuff which weren't fresh. We found a better looking hotel for almost the same price but went for Best western since it is a chain but they kind of let us down, definitely expected more.

"Standard Room Disappointing"
Tim H, 23 Juillet 2018

Copenhagen – Best Western Plus Hotel City Copenhagen – Peder Skrams Gade 24, Copenhagen, 1054 Denmark- Tel. 45 (33) 130666, Fax: 45 (33) 130667 – We stayed in this hotel for four nights in July, 2018. The location to the highlights of Copenhagen was great as was the access and egress. The staff, cleanliness of the premises, cleanliness of our room, and the comfort of the bed and linen were all good. The breakfast was great. However, here is a hint: Never book a “standard room” with a Queen size bed here as you will be disappointed with the room and likely the street noise. The small size of the bed (more like a “double”), the ability for two people to access both sides of the bed without disturbing each other and the overall room tiny size was most disappointing. Certainly not up to Best Western Plus standards that we have experienced.

"Best of all Best Westerns!"
Barbara P, 22 Juillet 2018

What a fantastic hotel - the best of all the Best Western hotels we have ever stayed in! The staff are courteous and helpful and the place is so well-kept that you could eat off the floor. Our room was comfortable and the window opened wide to let in fresh air. The bathroom was neat and clean. The hotel is very close (about 5 blocks) from the canal, which has an abundance of open-air eateries lining one side. You can get any kind of meal here or if you prefer, snacks of ice cream, waffles etc. Breakfast at the hotel is unbelievable! I have never seen such a large choice of food. The hotel was quiet despite its proximity to the bustle around the canal. Heatily recommended!

"Great location "
jmboze1, 19 Juillet 2018

Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is no air conditioning, however the room had windows and a fan. My solo room wasn't big, but was just fine for me. Breakfast had a very nice variety of choices. After a day of shopping I stopped in the hotel bar and had a drink. The interior design has photos of jazz musicians. Really neat! They also have Rituals bathroom products which are great.

"Amazing value with a prime location"
nwtraveltime, 17 Juillet 2018

We stayed here when an airbnb fell through. Airbnb credited our account and so we spent $50 more a night to stay here and got the value in: a central location, great breakfast buffet, hotel bikes, kind concierge services at front desk, a computer with printer available in lobby, lovely lobby with television (it was world cup week), and a nice bathroom with soap, a safe to store passports (so reassuring!) and other accessories. This is no typical Best Western, the "plus" being truly operative here. If I would return to Copenhagen I would stay here again. We also stayed at one other hotel that was good but this was the best value. My only complaint: coffee at breakfast was via an automat machine but for the price stay here and buy good coffee elsewhere.

"Good Location"
Andrew M, 17 Juillet 2018

This Best Western is in a fantastic location in Kongens Nytorv, which is a few stops from Copenhagen Airport on the intuitive metro line - I then walked to the hotel. The best bit is the scenic walk along the waters edge to Nyhavn, which was beautiful and I recommend the Netto Canal Tour. The hotel's proximity to Christianshaven is also brilliant and was a good evening out. The hotel room was clean and the service was good, as they got us milk and tea whenever we asked - Also, the included breakfast is extensive and brilliant! As in any city, as long as you are streetwise, the Danish people are wonderful and you will have a good trip - Just don't expect the hotel to be “luxury”, it is more functional. You can also get the 6A bus from outside Tivoli Gardens to get to the zoo, plus the metro is good to get to the Aquarium which was fab and on the way to the Airport. The hotel staff are great at giving direction if required. Lots of restaurants and shops also around. - Hope this helps, Andrew.

"Excellent location and service!"
Suzanne R, 12 Juillet 2018

We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of our room (but note that the walls are a little thin)! The bed/bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive, fresh and well maintained. Take advantage of the hotel bike rental- it really enhanced our overall stay and ability to see the city. The location is fantastic- right near the water and plenty of shopping, food and entertainment. Reception was professional and helpful upon arrival (we were able to get into our room early) and departure (called our taxi). We highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely book it again.

"Good place to stay."
Fred S, 04 Juillet 2018

Lots of pros. A few cons. Pros. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. We had two nights of decent sleep. The breakfast is good too. Loved the yogurt parfait. Eggs were so-so. Cheese was good. Juices were fresh. The location allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Cons. The room was really small. Maybe I just needed to adjust my expectation of that to European standards. They did not give you a separate top sheet. They had a sheet over the comforter. We took that sheet off the comforter and used it alone - it was hot when we came and we would have been really hot if we had to use the comforter. When they cleaned the room, they did not leave us with soap, shampoo, or conditioner. We went down and got the toiletries. Instead of giving us conditioner, they gave us body lotion. Also, they don't supply wash cloths. Now I know that a lot of hotels do not, but it was sort of annoying to find them in their downstairs washroom and not find them in our rooms. We would definitely stay again.

"Very enjoyable two night stay and to recommended"
Anthony-Algarve, 01 Juillet 2018

After a 15 day Baltic cruise we stayed here for two nights before returning to Portugal. Very friendly and informative reception staff. Very comfortable room with exceptionally comfortable beds. Tasty full buffet breakfast. Close to most amenities.

"Book room with AC in summer"
themombom, 28 Juin 2018

The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very helpful. After some research, we booked a superior or deluxe room (can't remember the term), which are the only rooms in this hotel with AC. Very glad to have the AC to sleep well in June. We were traveling from the US and arrived early morning so we booked the room for the night before to ensure that the room was available when we first arrived. This worked out great because we were tired from the long flight and needed a nap before venturing out to sightsee. Just be sure the hotel staff "checks you in to the system" the day before arrival - otherwise you will be a "no show" in their system and loose your room. The hair dryer in the room was very good. I have long course hair and it was powerful. The water pressure and hot water was great. Rooms were small, but quiet and clean. We liked the breakfast buffet in the morning which is convenient. Overall, a great experience and I would use this hotel again.

"OK hotel but Location is good."
mikeraus, 25 Juin 2018

We found the staff friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was great. The rooms were well equipped but relatively small (& cramped for 2 people with luggage) which is to be expected in Europe. We checked in and were given a room but it did not seem to match the booking. As we had a canal cruise booked, we unpacked and decided to resolve this issue later. It turned out we were given the wrong room and so had to repack and move. There was no apology from the staff, only a statement that they didn't know why were given the wrong room. Anyway the breakfast is OK, the room had windows that could be opened and was relatively quiet. Given how warm the day was, we were glad to have individual air conditioning and would recommend the superior room. Overall, I would give the hotel 3 stars for facilities but 4 stars for location.

"Location, location, location"
ElenaFG, 24 Juin 2018

We flew to Copenhagen for a quick weekend between conferences in Berlin. After less than one hour, we arrived in Copenhagen. Easily took the train from the airport into the city center and walked 3-4 minutes to the hotel. Perfect location for walking throughout the city. Close to everything but quiet at night. Perfect blue-sky weather and warm temperatures made for a great weekend. Going into the weekend, I knew that the hotel did not have air conditioning. We found a fan in our closet and used it at night with the windows ajar. It was fine. The room was a nice size, bed comfortable, bathroom a bit small but very functional. Breakfast was large and filling. I think the hotel has bicycles to rent, although we didn't need them on our short weekend. I also saw umbrellas near the front door for any rainy stays. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating.

"Excellent location, cozy, great breakfast"
SAMFLFlorida, 15 Juin 2018

This location is wonderful...right off of the water, a quick walk to Nyhavn and across the bridge to the new "street food" area, 10 mins from the metro, easy access to the center. I attended an event at The Black Diamond Royal Library and this is an ideal hotel choice for that. The staff was easygoing and helpful. There's a nice lounge area downstairs and they sell drinks and sandwiches if needed 24/7 though there's plenty nearby too. The breakfast was perfect for me. Muesli, yogurt, fruit, breads and pastries, cheeses and meats, and a couple hot options every day (not my breakfast preference but there was some kind of egg, bacon, sausage type thing every day so you can have a very hearty breakfast). Yummy coffee, easy self-serve plus plenty of juices, water, tea, etc. Full breakfast served approx 7-10 (I think half hour later on weekends) but if you have to leave early, they set out coffee, croissants and fruit to go. I think if you tell them ahead they'll actually put it together with some other stuff in a bag. The room was a fine size for me. If it had been two of us, the double bed and room size would have been cramped. So, I'd get two twin beds or an upgraded room if it's more than one person visiting. My only "complaint" would be that the street outside could be noisy at times and being CPH, no aircon so you always wanted the window a bit open for air (they were having a warm streak, though quite pleasant). I used the provided fan...not so much for air but for drowning out noise and that did the trick. If you're especially sensitive to noise, could probably get a room not facing that street side. Highly recommend this hotel! Nothing fancy but felt cozy and welcoming and a great spot to set out to explore and enjoy CPH.

"Good location - barely ok rooms"
GourmetFoody, 13 Juin 2018

The location is very Nice - regardless your purpose. Close to Nyhavn - and that is a plus at this time a year. Great service - friendly staff. It is a in an out hotel - no less. But it works just fine. Breakfast is Nice, a small bar AS well. Rooms - hm - I could do better, but again at Work it is ok!

"A little disappointed "
Melbournite13, 04 Juin 2018

I had an ok stay at Best Western but have to say was looking forward to getting out of there. Positives: majority of front desk staff were lovely and helpful - one particular one was abrupt and rather rude but that can happen anywhere Breakfast is ok. Not amazing, but it's a 6/10. Room sizes are big. Location is great Comfortable bed and good sheets Negatives: Rather old and dated. Wifi was precarious at best. Slow when it did work. Minimal amenities: no conditioner (couldn't believe they didn't have any-need to bring your own). All that was in the room is a small bottle of shampoo, cream and body wash. That's it. You have to ask for everything else. Breakfast is good early in the morning, but by 9-9:30am most plates are empty and the “scrambled” eggs look old. Cleaning in the room was quite poor. I had clear yellow stains on the white base of the closet that just needed a good wipe but that never got cleaned up. Pretty gross. Also I had to specifically request my sheets to be changed by night three as there was no environmentally friendly card requesting that and it just wasn't being done at all. Overall this hotel is more like a good three Star accomodation than a four. If you're not spending time other than sleeping there it'll be fine.

"Simple hotel with awesome breakfast"
karlvinther, 01 Juin 2018

This hotel has simple rooms without AC and fridge. All in all just a hotel locateded near harbour and city center. What saves this hotel besides the location is the awesome breakfast. All you can think of and more. Even ginger shots and danish bluecheese.

"Excellent hotel in a surperior location"
WillieC, 14 Mai 2018

We spent two nights in this hotel and it was a totally satisfying experience. The front desk staff are all extremely friendly and polite and all speak excellent English. Our two nights consisted of one night before an 11 day cruise and then one night at the end of the cruise. In both cases we were able to store luggage with the hotel (they do have free lockable storage lockers and if a bag is too big for the locker they will store it in a secure area). The rooms we had on both nights were excellent - large, quiet and very clean. The beds were excellent. Our first room had a mini-fridge, the second one did not. The included breakfast is one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. The hotel website implies it is continental - but is a full hot breakfast buffet plus all kinds of cheeses and cold cuts, yogurts, cereals, bread and pastries, juices, milk, coffee and tea. After this breakfast lunch was unneeded as we walked all over Copenhagen. The location is superb, being just one half block from a canal and just across from the island that contains the old royal palace and stock exchange. Turning left at the canal it is a very short walk to Nyhaven - a great place for a cold beer, some food and people watching. If we return to Copenhagen we will certainly use this hotel again.

"Nice location."
andyonekanobie, 04 Mai 2018

I was here for a few days with work and it was very nice. A few points the breakfast area seating reminds me of being back at school...not for the design but the size , they were super small ...but kind of cool. The water fountain with the ducks (plastic) are a bit strange. Ok some useful info for here you will struggle for parking near the hotel so if you don't need a car don't bother. Any way you car rent a bike from the hotel for a daily rate...I can't remember how much. You are a 25 min away from the little mermaid ...which is so much smaller in real life but worth a walk. On the way back go to the park nearby which has a bust of Churchill and a nice coffee shop nearby.

"Very friendly staff!"
daphnelu44, 30 Avril 2018

We visited the hotel in March and stayed for four nights. The super friendly receptionist made an early check-in possible for us and we couldn't be happier! Anyone who arrives early at a hotel with an early flight the last thing he wants is an "official time check-in", so we got lucky on that one and again a big thank you to the kind and full of smiles front desk staff! The hotel is very quiet even though it's in a central location! Breakfast was amazing and rooms clean and with all the appropriate amenities! Keep up the good work!

"quiet location and not too far from center"
JohVan, 27 Avril 2018

Easy check in and out. Moderate room (bit old fashioned) and noisy corridor. Good and tasteful breakfast, friendly staff and very close to city center. Super products in bathroom and super towels. Good place to stay!

"OK but disappointing "
Sarah R, 08 Avril 2018

The hotel is ideally located, and Copenhagen is quite small anyways so everything can be done walking. However, the room was absolutely TINY! I've never seen such a small room in a hotel. Bathroom is also tiny/ a bit smelly. Also, the windows weren't great, we had cold air coming through at night even with the windows closed. Breakfast was alright, quite a bit of variety. There is the possibility to rent bikes which I would recommend doing at least for one day! Last thing is the price: the room was extremely expensive for what we got, even though we booked very early.

"Good mid-range hotel in nice area"
tessaliinai, 08 Avril 2018

I liked this hotel - usually I don't sleep well at all in hotels, but here I did! The room was very quiet, the bed very comfortable. The hotel has a slightly old fashioned feeling to it, which I though found quite charming. They even provide a real key to the room, not a key card! The breakfast was nice, lots to choose from. The area where the hotel is located is nice, metro station in 5-8 minutes' walking distance. Will definitely stay here again on my trips to Copenhagen!

"EXCELLENT!!"
User, 04 Avril 2018

I booked this last minute and wasn't sure what to expect. I came from Texas in the US and wanted to enjoy my vacation. I felt right at home with the rooms, bathrooms, and hospitality. The breakfast was fantastic! And the location was perfect. Walkable to everything. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. When I visit Denmark in the future, I will be staying here again.

"Location, location, location! "
labyrinthguide, 26 Mars 2018

Good hotel close to Nyhavn and the city center. Comfy beds, good spread at breakfast (included) and very friendly staff. The only negative was the bathroom and that's the only reason I didn't score it higher. The shower is super small and the way the bathroom door opens makes sitting on the toilet an interesting experience. But we needed a hotel near Kongens Nytorv for a theater weekend, and this is less than a 5 min walk, so it was perfect for us!

"Good Hotel Highly Recommend"
juliasarah372, 19 Mars 2018

Dear Traveller, Highly Recommend this Hotel for either a long stay or a brief stay. What I like is comfortable bedding, good size of the room, Good breakfast,Excellent Location,Close to Public Transport. The downside is poor wifi in rooms, and the water pressure was poor in the bathroom. Best,Anonymous Traveller.

"Nice hotel"
Linda S, 14 Mars 2018

Nice hotel close to beautiful Nyhavn. Very friendly staff. Beds could have been better and so could the breakfast but I loved the location. Furniture was very stylish and they had real keys to the rooms.

"Great breakfast, friendly service, early check-in possible"
ristosan, 12 Mars 2018

I have always liked the approach of this hotel. If there is a room available, you can get it even though before the official check-in time. Hence I keep on coming back. I also like the friendly service and the breakfast, lots to choose from.

"Great wee hotel"
Jo M, 22 Février 2018

We stayed here for 4 nights in Feb it is situated in a very central position yet it is on a quite street. Breakfast was amazing with very friendly staff! Reception staff & room staff were also very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but clean and warm. Bathrooms are also small but totally adequate with lovely complimentary Rituals shower gel/shampoo & body lotion. Shower was nice and hot too. We have stayed in hotels all over the world from 2 star to 5 star and we found this hotel to be very good, clean, warm, central, friendly, great breakfast & well priced. If that's the kind of hotel that you require then this is the one for you. Also ideal for business travelers due to Cental location. If we ever come back to Copenhagen we will stay here again and we will be recommending the hotel to our friends. Good work Best Western Plus Hotel!

"Great breakfast "
worldtravellerplus77, 10 Février 2018

Loved the breakfast Very central close to the harbour. Staff friendly and the room a nice decent size. Beds are comfortable The bath products are lovely and nice smell. The Danish pastries were gorgeous

"Very Good BW CPH"
cgonca_893911, 29 Janvier 2018

A very good hotel, very clean, very cozy, with a very funny, kind and professional staff. A diverse breakfast all the components have a good aspect and a very good flavor. This hotel are very very good for all age groups.

"Average hotel with great location"
NikolayKondratyev, 23 Janvier 2018

We stayed at this hotel for four nights. Location is great! Most of the attractions are within walking distance. Room and bathroom were pretty small, even though it was not a problem for the room, the shower was uncomfortable. Room was clean, but furniture was old, and floor had squeaking spots. The breakfast was good, not of a great variety, but tasty. Staff was friendly.

"Excellent hotel"
Ibrahim25, 07 Janvier 2018

Stayed for 2 nights with friends. Location is perfect. 5 min walk from the metro that runs to the airport in 15 minutes. Close to Nyhavn and main shopping streets. Most of the must see attractions are no more than 15 minutes away from the hotel. Hotel is clean and very friendly.

"Bad experience"
alexandruu2018, 02 Janvier 2018

Bad experience. This is totally not worth to be called a 4-star hotel. I had a better experience in a 3-star hotel in a small town in Ukraine, where at least it was cleaner than here. Was dissapointed with the room. No value for money.

"Everything you need for business travel"
Lars_Dusseldorf, 02 Janvier 2018

Located right by Nyhavn & the canals this is a rather small hotel but with excellent opportunities for dining and also walking around the city. The rooms are quite nice and the breakfast is excellent excellent with plenty of options. No room service but there is a superb sushi 50m from the hotel.

"Bargain room is tiny and bathroom shower overflows"
patriciam2018, 31 Décembre 2017

The decor, breakfast and location of this hotel plus the convenience of bike rental were a plus. We were disappointed in the size of the 2 persons bed, only 140cm wide. The staff was not accommodating to change us to 2 twin beds unless we paid an upgrade. In addition, the bathroom shower flows all over the floor.

"Excellent location / Friendly staff / Good breakfast buffet"
harmonie, 27 Décembre 2017

We chose this hotel for its central location: close to the subway, to Nyhavn, to Kongens Nytorv,to Christiania and... in a very quiet street. We experienced the renovation of the hotel facade and saw how beautiful it became. Very friendly staff at the front desk taking into account the room preference I had communicated in advance. Hence, we had a very quiet room overlooking the covered patio. The room is not very spacious (but when on a city trip, you just drop in for a good sleep), but clean, and there was a nasty little step between the room and the very small bathroom. A few supplementary electrical plugs would be welcome these days. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast buffet with a large choice of breads, rolls, cheese, fresh fruit,... The hotel has also a full bar where sandwiches can be ordered. The hotel also offers bikes for rent (but they were unfortunately on maintenance during our stay). Comparing the prices with other hotels in Copenhagen, we were satisfied of our choice!

"Quiet but great location for centre"
fionabX6812HE, 26 Décembre 2017

Booked through Booking.com and Hotel would not allocate points to our membership card and charged us for an optional room upgrade! We chose to accept but were rather disappointed as it was a last minute booking and hotel was not full. Was hard to find as Hotel was covered by scaffolding. Clean and comfortable stay with excellent breakfast. En suite was a bit tired with mouldy sealant round the bath although overall it was clean.

"Living in a “museum” for a day"
Cristal C, 25 Décembre 2017

A terrible tiny hotel room with ancient furniture, squeaking floor and mold smell. The worst 4 star hotel I've ever been to. It doesn't even fulfil the 4 stars requirements: no refrigiretor, no A/C, no bath gown or enough towels for 2 ppl. Even a 3 stars hotel has better conditions. The price is definitely not worth the trashy room we've got. It was like living in a museum with 19th century exponents. Not mentioning the terrible 0,2x0,2 m sq shower “cabin” (cabin = a piece of floor with a hole and an old and smelly curtain). Deceving....Shameee, Copenhagen!

"Perfect location"
spana1929, 24 Décembre 2017

Fantastic location - right next to Nyhavn, a short walk from the main shopping district and Christiansborg Slot. Staff were friendly and unobtrusive but nothing was a bother. It was great that breakfast is complimentary and it had a good selection. Will definitely stay again.

"USD200 per night for that room ?"
981frederickm, 16 Décembre 2017

A little disapointed. For this price I expected a better room which is pretty small and just classic . However the hotel has a very good situation in the center of the city. We really enjoyed Breakfast.

"Decent hotel good location "
Jeff G, 09 Décembre 2017

Hotel is decent, there were renovations outside during our stay but mainly painting and there was no noise or inconvenience. Hotel only offers breakfast but there is a good selection of restaurants within 15 min walk. We really liked the location as it is great for going on walk and sightseeing. Other great option is closer to Tivoli.

"A hotel in a nice area"
Someishere, 03 Décembre 2017

The hotel is situated about 300 meters from famous Nyhavn and about 400 meters from Kongens Nytorv, where you can find the comfortable metro to the Kastrup Airport. The area itself is for that reason to recommend. The hotel is nice but the room – for one person - was very small. Internet was fast in the room: 17 Mbit down and 26 up. Kind staff and a very good breakfast. To recommend? Yes, if the price is reasonable.

"A hotel with considerable advantages"
WGRS, 26 Novembre 2017

We arrived to find the front of the hotel covered in scaffolding, which I can only assume was bad luck. However this did not affect our stay of 4 days. Room basic in its content. Probably typically Danish. However it was sufficiently roomy to make us feel comfortable during our stay. Would have loved to have had a more comfortable chair in the room. Danish chair design gave me back ache. Twin rooms had a lower tariff than double rooms which we found unusual. All rooms are accessible by a lift. Room tarrifs were considerably greater than we have experienced in any other place. Bathroom was small, with a shower and no bath. Water pressure was so low that you had to work hard to have an effective shower. However it was clean and pleasant. Lounge and bar was very basic and small but pretending to be me more, with a pond feature, that looked pretty, that could have been dispenced with. Breakfast was included and include all options: cooked, continental or make your own combination. The facilities were completely self-service. Dining area was again Danish minimalist but staff there quickly cleared all used crockery and seating was plentiful so all in all we had a quiet unfettered breakfast. There was no restaurant at the hotel. Staff were generally very pleasant and helpful. All issues including booking in and out were dealt with quickly and efficiently. All staff understood English.

"Handy location for shopping and Nyhavn"
VelvetBrown, 23 Novembre 2017

I thought the rooms were a little tired but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. The inclusive breakfast was very nice. Lots of food on offer. Just a few. Minutes pleasant stroll to Nyhavn and not far to the main shopping street. Very pleased with the location.

"Nice hotel, close to the sights, breakfast included"
AnujaPond, 21 Novembre 2017

I stayed here over a weekend to explore some of the sights of Copenhagen. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Christiansborg & Amalienborg Palaces, Nyhavn, as well as the big departmental store Magasin. There's a bus stop 2-minutes away in case you'd like to take the bus. I even saw a canal boat tour operator nearby. You can take the 66 bus from the train station to get to the hotel. Alternatively, if the weather is nice, you could walk for half an hour. The location felt safe, which was important for me as a solo female traveller. I've previously stayed in hotels close to the train station and since they're in the red light district, even though it's safe, I didn't feel comfortable. I had a single room, which was quite spacious considering the usual Copenhagen standards. The decor was nice and the bathroom had modern fittings. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is included, making this hotel good value for money. The breakfast buffet serves eggs, salami, cheese, bread, cereal, coffee, ect - everything you need to start the day.

"Great hotel"
Gajjju, 19 Novembre 2017

In the quiet street, but in the very center of Copenhagen nearby shops and many restaurants. Very good hotel. Nice staff. Large room, with a small bathroom, with very comfortable towels. Good bed, clean hotel. Great organic ingredient breakfast. Highly recommended.

"For one night only ??"
Doris W, 17 Novembre 2017

My husband & I and some family members stayed in The Best Western Copenhagen on the last night of our visit to Sweden/ Denmark. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, our room extremely comfortable and our breakfast was lovely. I would recommend this hotel for its location . ????

"Awesome Hotel in the centre of CPH"
lucarubinaccio93, 14 Novembre 2017

I've stayed last weekend in this hotel and I spent very good time, everything was fantastic from the welcome of the front desk staff ( especially Camilla and Rebekka are very kind ) to the quality of the room. Even the breakfast was rich and delicious. I will be back soon in this hotel !

"Great location"
cseverin821, 09 Novembre 2017

We arrived in Copenhagen airport and decided to use public transportation (easy right?) well, yes it was! and cheap too. We walked about 2.5 blocks with our carry-on luggage from the station to our hotel with no problem tho might be if it was raining. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the receptionist and check in was easy. The rooms are clean and bathroom had all the amenities. Breakfast was AMAZING!! scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, variety of fruits, cheeses, yogurt, cottage cheese, cucumbers/tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, different selections of breads, juices, coffee/tea...you won't be hungry here! The hotel is walking distance from the fame Nyhavn! also Paper Island essentially you're close to most "must see" areas! We stay here again!

"very nice hotel"
163ullap, 05 Novembre 2017

The furniture is excellent. The staff eas very friendly and helpfull. The room was nice with a wonderfull bed. The stay was pleasent og I enjoyed it very much. Nice that you can make a cup og coffee in the room in the evening.

"Excellent"
MsIreland2, 04 Novembre 2017

Excellent hotel, very central to the main sights of the city and easy to walk to many of the big sights like Nyhavn which is a must see by day and by night. Also lovely walk along the canal banks as you step out of the hotel and you are within walking distance to Kongens Nytorv which is a metro station and has a big department store called Magasin which is very trendy and upmarket. I am delighted to have chosen this hotel. The staff were lovely and so very helpful,we met many different receptionists over the days we were there and all so helpful. The breakfast is gorgeous and plenty of food to go around. The hotel itself is very comfortable, there are computers and printers for patrons. A nice water feature in reception and a comfortable area to sit down in and relax. The hotel is very modern, we were staying on the 5th floor over looking a fabulous view of the horizon. The bed in the room was very comfortable with a big tv with lots of channels. A kettle for making tea, decent size wardrobe, safe and mirror. The wifi was a bit intermittent but I think that could have been to do with a high wind storm which was happening. Also just to note you can get a hop on/hop off bus from up near Nyhavn if you wish although when we realised how close we were to Amalienbourg Palace we decided to walk it from the hotel. Also bikes available to rent from hotel if you want to take advantage of the bike lanes in the city. Overall, massive thumbs up from me on this hotel, as we were looking for a central location (very peaceful at night as it is officially in the Business district), breakfast fantastic, modern new hotel and super friendly staff. Worth the money in my opinion. **Please note you can get the metro from the airport which you get from the airport and get off at the metro stop Kongens Nytorv. The fare is 36 Danish Krone each**

"best best western"
johnhL3583WE, 01 Novembre 2017

could not ask for anymore than this hotel location is perfect hotel is clean with friendly helpful staff breakfast was really good would not stay anywhere else when I go back to copenhagen, would reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting copenhagen

"Perfect for business"
Ole Andreas Ste... D, 27 Octobre 2017

Very nice hotel! Perfect for business and if you are traveling with the metro. Furthermore, the location is very central in a nice area close to Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn. Also, great staff and breakfast.

"Very good hotel"
lim2011, 14 Octobre 2017

Close to metro Kongens Nytorv (coming from the airport), walking distance to many tourist attractions. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to chose from. Rooms rather small but clean with everything what you need most importantly comfy beds.

"Decent hotel. Great staff."
militantmuse, 10 Octobre 2017

We stayed here in August 2017, and the staff was superb. We arrived from a very early morning flight from Helsinki, and while our room was not ready, the staff invited us to sit in the breakfast area and enjoy some complimentary cappuccino. We took off sight-seeing for the morning, and when we arrived back at 12pm, they had a room ready for us. The rooms was simple, clean and efficient. Best Western hotels in Europe tend to be much better than their American counterparts, and this was no exception. There were a few odd stains on the sofa and bed skirt that I would have preferred to have been cleaned, but we remedied with bath towels. Otherwise, the stay was great, and I would return.

"DISAPPOINTING"
USTWO4251, 09 Octobre 2017

The hotel is not at the city center which was about 20 minute walk to the center. Small rooms but comfortable and quiet. It is very high price for the hotel. Very dirty carpeting in halls with dirty walls and baseboards. Small bar with good drinks. Breakfast was very nice and a good selection of items. WiFi was good. People were friendly. Would have to think about staying there again but don't think so.

"Great breakfast!"
Bennlew, 08 Octobre 2017

Took short Metro ride from airport (Kr36) to Kongens Nytorv then this hotel is an easy 10 minute walk. Pleasant welcome and easy check in then to room by a small lift (can get very busy) to 4th floor. Small but well equipped room later bed was found to be comfortable. Hotel is another short walk to waterfront and canals and many bars and restaurants. Breakfast is included and buffet style at back of reception. Plenty of choice and plenty of healthy choices - a good breakfast with coffee readily available. really enjoyed this. This is not a cheap hotel but by Copenhagen standards due to comfort and location it is value for money

"Good tourist hotel if you can afford it, poor for business if travelling outside the city unless you take the metro"
Nicola M, 04 Octobre 2017

My second stay here for business, plus side, I got a comfort room rather than a single (previous visit), so lesson learnt is that is you should NEVER book a single room if you wish to walk normally and not be next to the lift noise all night, because this time I wasn't in a single and it was a far more pleasurable stay. no one told me about the bikes even though my pre-booked taxi was, in the end, 1 hour late, the next day I learnt and took the metro, much less stressful and 10 times cheaper !! I am still not convinced about this hotel for business person but for tourist it is close to everything once you find a map and your bearings, just hope the price is cheaper, I paid £150 per night inc breakfast.

"Good location, beautiful chairs!"
Tjackso2, 03 Octobre 2017

Hotel City is easy to get to from the airport by Metro or on the frequent 66 bus from the train station. Great location for Nyhavn and the city centre, with both only a few minutes walk away. Buffet breakfast is good quality and relaxed. Rooms are pretty small and ours was far too hot (or too noisy if we left the window open). There are some great Danish design classic chairs all around the hotel which is a nice touch.

"Comfortable place near major attractions"
Martin M, 01 Octobre 2017

With a well-appointed room on the top floor we had a fine stay. The wifi was solid, the breakfast up to the usual BW standard, and the available umbrellas were very much appreciated on a very rainy day. The harbor tour piers, the main shopping street and the Tivoli Gardens were within walking distance. A copy of the international New York Times was happy surprise.

"Central location "
Ruslan K, 26 Septembre 2017

If you looking for good location - is just a walk from city center , Christiania and Nyhavn . The stuff is friendly and helpful. Rooms , breakfast and al other are just okay , not the level of 4 stars at all .

"Great location; very clean; smaller rooms"
carrieul, 17 Septembre 2017

Excellent location near Nyhavn and right by the trampolines that are incorporated into the sidewalks. Jazz theme in the hotel and it is bright and welcoming. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are a little small but well appointed. Hotel has bikes out front for rental at a very reasonable price. Location is close to subway as well if you are coming from the airport.

"Nice Hotel"
Jason R, 15 Septembre 2017

Nice hotel, a few minutes walk from the city centre. I didn't get to see much as whilst I was there it was raining heavily so my one night stay was confined to my room. However the room was comfortable, spacious and I even managed to get the champions league football on the TV which was a bonus. Reception staff friendly and helpful, particularly in arranging my taxi to the airport the following day. The airport is around 25-35 minutes away depending on traffic and costs around 300-360 DKK. Hotel is near to the river, some restaurants and cycles are available to hire from the hotel I think as there were lots of them outside the hotel with the hotel branding. Cannot comment more on this due to the terrible weather!

"Great Location but never take a room on first floor"
yrtx4e, 14 Septembre 2017

Location: It is a within 10 mins walk from Kogens Nytrov metrol station, within 5 mins walk to Nyhavn, but it is in an office area, pretty quiet day and night. Main entrance is easy to miss and there are a few steps you must haul your bags up. Service: not a lot of staff at front desk , staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast staff are very efficient. Room: I could not say a positive thing about the superior double room and it is definitely is not 26 sq m, bathroom is small to a small person like me, especially the shower cubicle, very uncomfortable in the shower, once the shower head runs, the thin shower curtain keeps flying in due to the air movement. It is not very clean. crumbs on table. my room on first floor windows facing the roof top of breakfast area or lobby ( see photo )that I dare not open the window on a pretty hot day and night. we stayed four nights, while we were told no other superior room was available. overall I can say it is a 2-star property. The closet is not clean and with an odor. The corridor is so narrow, for those with Clusterphobia is an issue. I do not agree to the positive reviews that I researched before I tried this property. Most reviews raved about the excellent breakfast, the breakfast offers a good spread of variety to start your day. Overall, I was rather disappointed at my choice, Maybe if my room was not on first floor I might have a more positive perspective.

"Great location but tiny beds and room!"
MariaVictoria0918, 12 Septembre 2017

You probably cannot beat this hotel's location - it walking distance from the M1 and M2 lines (Kongens Nyrtov) which means you have one 20 minute ride from airport to hotel. It is also 3 blocks away from Nyhavn and the new Copenhagen Street food centre called Papioren. The check in and check out was easy and although we were given a room on the top floor it was a super tiny room with two small beds. The bathroom was also super tiny and it was puzzling how anyone who was bigger than average in terms of size could fit in the shower stall! We also noticed on our last day that the shower curtains were moldy at the bottom but decided not raise it as we were leaving anyway. There is a small safe in the room and a fridge. No complimentary water is offered so take note. The breakfast buffet was included in the hotel rate we purchased and the spread was quite generous with plenty of juices, pastries, breads, cheeses and cold cuts provided. The usual fare of scrambled eggs, beans, bacon, etc were also available but there was no variety in the 3 days that we were booked at the hotel. No fresh fruits but some cantaloupe and pineapple slices as well as a fruit salad was available. Staff were very courteous and polite and helpful specially at the Front Desk because you had to leave and retrieve back your room keys every time you would leave and return to the hotel as they really have metal keys not the more common key cards. And they are heavy. :) OK for short stay but would definitely look for other options in the city if we have to go back to Copenhagen.

"First 2 nights in Denmark"
Di S, 09 Septembre 2017

Arrived early which meant we didn't get a good room but rather one that was ready - which was OK as we were very tired from a long overnight flight. Staff were excellent. Interior of the hotel is lovely and modern. Overall a very pleasant experience.

"Nice place and great location."
JanetC, 06 Septembre 2017

Good stay here with no complaints. Can't beat the location - easy to walk to so many things yet on a quiet street. And a quick walk from the metro station with easy access to the airport. Very good breakfast with many choices. A few people have complained about the price on here - it's Copenhagen - everything is pricey!! Would definitely recommend staying here.

"Can't beat the location"
travellingcanucks55, 05 Septembre 2017

We usually do not choose Best Western when we are in Europe but were very happy we chose this hotel The location was the best. Close to Nyhavn, Rosenborg Castle, Christianborg palace and Amalienborg. We found our room to be slightly larger than the tiny ones we are used to in Europe. Rooms are very quiet...we could even leave our window open at night. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

"Pleasant hotel in a central location"
ptjensf, 31 Août 2017

Great location right along the water-makes for easy walking to many sights and the metro. Rooms are small but comfortable. The breakfast is offered just next to the lobby with a good selection, typical European breakfast.

"For a wonderful experience!"
Consultant0307, 30 Août 2017

Location was great! The staff were totally attentive and made us feel very special! I was amazed at the breakfast menu selection. Our room was immaculate. What more can I say! Best Western Copenhagen, you are the best.......

"good hotel few quirks"
onelastfish, 28 Août 2017

This exceeded our expectations but as per the other reviews there are a few issues. The shower is tiny and you spend the whole time fighting the shower curtain that wants to swallow you alive. Bearable for 2 nights but very annoying. No air conditioning is a problem but the fan helps. Location is good, close enough to train station. Internet speeds are really good. Room size is adequate for what you are paying. We did not really have any trouble with noise, which we were worried about before the stay. Rooms have a safe which is a nice bonus.

"Well located ugly hotel"
Macalbrandao, 22 Août 2017

It is a reasenable confortable hotel well located in the Center of Copenhagen. As I am an architect I was choked with the horrible fountain in the lobby of the hotel. It is a lousy use of the space with a very ugly feature! As it is located in the área destinated to breakfast it bothers in many ways!!

"Great location but average quality and poor service"
David R, 22 Août 2017

The location of this hotel is superb but the price does not justify the quality. The rooms are reasonable but not great. There are no views. There is no fridge in the rooms, which is strange given the hotel's very limited F&B offering. The breakfast is pretty good. The staff were generally friendly but not at all helpful. We stayed here for 5 nights and I asked for help a few times and in every case the staff were not able or even interested to try to help or follow up with me later. The staff made no effort to help customers carry their bags up the stairs to the reception (my wife and I helped an elderly couple carry their bags up the stairs whilst the staff simply watched). I am sure there are better hotels in central Copenhagen, particularly for the exorbitant price we paid.

"Great location, but some glitches"
Yau Baby, 21 Août 2017

We chose this hotel solely based on the strength of its location, and it didn't disappoint. Just a mere stroll from Nyhavn on a small side street that opens to the harbour. We exploited the convenience and centrality and walked to all the shopping, dining and sightseeing options Copenhagen has to offer. Another pleasant surprise was the breakfast. We were expecting continental style, but the buffet spread offered scrambled eggs, sausages, meat balls (which my kids loved), juice, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits.... It was a great start to each morning. But few reasons I only gave a four star: - Front office service was a hit or miss; Rebekah was great, friendly and eager to help, but Yanet was cold, curt and made us feel like she wished we weren't there - Somehow the booking agent screwed up our request for an additional bed (for a 7-year old child) and the hotel could only offer a crib, so three people had to squeeze into a double bed and it was not very comfortable - Our rooms were a bit small, which is not unusual given this is Europe and in the middle of the old town - Our rooms do not have air-conditioning; luckily there was a table-top fan to bring some air circulation; also, we were on the first floor which meant the windows opened to the courtyard and people could walk up to our rooms (we did see some repair crew walked pass the window at 9.00am one morning) All in all, I will return to this hotel in the future, but will definitely request a room on a higher floor

"good attentive staff; pleasant stay in central location"
Lyn B, 20 Août 2017

This hotel is well situated and an easy walk to/ from a metro station (kongens nytorv). rooms clean and tidy with fresh towels everyday. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and gluten and lactose-free available. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lounge aea with two computers is quiet and confortable with a bowl of fruit for snacking.

"3 night Copenhagen stay in July"
Nicholas F, 16 Août 2017

I stayed in Copenhagen with my daughter for 3 nights. I picked the Best Western as I booked very late and the choice was getting small. But it's location was good and the price was also good, The room was on the first floor sitting over the covered courtyard. It wasn't a very special room, but comfortable, and not fridge, which would have made it better. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and made the stay that much easier. There is a little bar behind the reception that was very pleasant. The real bonus was breakfast. When we arrived the reception staff told us the there was a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant, so we had a great breakfast there each morning, and I mean a full breakfast, with a few pastries tucked away for the day ahead. My only issure was the coffee wasn't great. Good location for walking around Copenhagen and close to Nyhaven and the waterfront.

"Fairly standard but no major issues"
dardap, 16 Août 2017

Located on a quiet street between Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn. Facilities use a 1950's Danish design theme with some success. Good welcome, adequate complimentary buffet breakfast. The room was modestly but adequately furnished and quite comfortable, despite a truly tiny shower room. So no major complaints for a short stay, location was obviously an asset.

"Excellent situation for everything we wanted to see!"
annehernandez, 11 Août 2017

We spent a brilliant few days here enjoying a few jazz venues and seeing the sights in Copenhagen. We were impressed by the city's approach to reducing pollution and the availability of public transport. The hotel is stylishly designed and the breakfast choice great. We look forward to going back.

"Good one !!"
BalkrishnaShroff, 06 Août 2017

The location was good close to Nyhavn. The room was small size and shower cubicle was too small to apply soap or stretch hand. We had booked a deluxe room on 5th floor. Only the 5th floor rooms were air condition. The view from room was quite bad as it was facing other rooms of hotel. All the time we had to put on curtains. There were a lot restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping district nearby. The breakfast was good served on ground floor restaurant. The reception staff was helpful. Stay only for location.

"Wonderful Stay at Best Western Hotel City Copenhagen"
Steve K, 02 Août 2017

We stayed for one night on the 5th floor. Room was spacious and well appointed. Easy walking distance to Metro and Nyhavn. We ate dinner across the street at Fuego which was also very good. Breakfast in the morning was robust, and aside from fully cooked bacon, excellent. We picked this hotel for the location and it served us well. Staff was very helpful to me getting ferry tickets with the computer in the lobby, and general for checking and questions. A very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend and stay again on a return visit.

"Wonderful hotel in all respects"
DonRobertoSanJuan, 31 Juillet 2017

This hotel does it right: Friendly and helpful front desk, great rooms and a nice breakfast. We booked a Deluxe room with air conditioning and were glad we paid a little more for it. The room size is great and we had no problem with space for our three weeks worth of luggage. The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise from the outside. The room has a minibar and in the lobby a 24 hour bar.

" Nice hotel, Good Service "
Amani H, 27 Juillet 2017

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was an average size. The bathroom was small and dared with small basin and minimum amenities. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is green and for non smokers. The breakfast buffet had a good food variety . The location is near the Nyhavn canal walk with lots of cafes and restaurants and near the shopping district. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

"Great value in an excellent location"
wordav, 27 Juillet 2017

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for eight nights in early July 2017. We found the hotel to be clean, stylish, and had an excellent (and friendly) staff. The hotel is located in a fantastic location, close to great restaurants at Nyhavn, an inlet, and mass transit. Our room was generously sized and well appointed; the breakfast every morning was quite good and exceeded our expectations.

"A good place to stay"
edkemp2002, 23 Juillet 2017

I am satisfied with this hotel for my first trip to Copenhagen. I chose it because of the location. 15 mins in a taxi from the station, 20 mins from the airport and 5 mins walk from beautiful Nyhavn. The breakfasts are good, the staff are very helpful and the wifi is fast. The rooms are small compared to the other hotels on our European trip. The hotel is on a side street with a view of bricks and other buildings, in retrospect, I would have chosen the Grand, around the corner, with a view over the canals, they are beautiful, but hotels are very expensive in Copenhagen and I imagine that it might cost an arm and a leg.

"Nice hotel in prime lcation"
Johan P, 18 Juillet 2017

I can warmly recommend this small Best Western hotel for anyone looking for a hotel with walking distance to the popular Nyhavn area. Room was good size and super comfortable beds with decent breakfast.

"Best location near Nyhavn"
suerod, 18 Juillet 2017

Excellent position close to Nyhavn but on a quiet street. The choice at breakfast was excellent and suitable for all dietary requirements. Spotlessly clean. Good wi-fi. Unfortunately no food avaiable apart from brekfast when we visited.

"Great hotel - great location"
Jacqui L, 17 Juillet 2017

really enjoyed this hotel - rooms were a bit bigger than normal for European rooms and very clean and bed was very comfortable. Shower was a bit tight, but this is normal for this area I guess! Location was good - very central and the staff were quite friendly and very good with english also! Breakfast in the morning was truly wonderful - this totally "made" the trip for us - best breakfast of our trip! Would definitely stay here again.

"Outstanding Breakfast Included"
MEvans1945, 14 Juillet 2017

Pluses: breakfast as mentioned. If the buffet doesn't have what you want, you're not hungry. Rooms are very clean. Towels are thick and huge. Pretty fast wifi. Extremely helpful staff: my husband left his wallet in the taxi from the airport; desk clerk took his receipt, called the cab company, and cab returned with the wallet! Great location: Hop On/Off stop 5 minutes away; close to Nyhavn with its bustling outdoor cafe scene; 10-15 minute walk to Gammel Strand, main Hop On/Off and canal boat hub; 1/2 block from the canal and walking path. Minuses: Standard double rooms are small with postage-stamp sized baths. Recommend booking the superior rooms if space is important.

"Excellent location"
Shakira20, 10 Juillet 2017

The hotel is very convenient for a lot of the main tourist attractions and is very close to Nyhavn. Staff members are very friendly. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style and has good quality fresh food available as well as hot food. My room faced the street and I could see the DAC across the water. The bathroom is a little on the small side but perfectly adequate and rituals products are provided. Overall, it was a nice, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

"best location, friendly staffs, spacious room, no view"
runningintoemptiness, 08 Juillet 2017

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is close to everything. Staff members are super friendly, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was good, while my room facing the courtyard didn't have any view. Certain area of the floor made some noise every time I walk to bathroom. The shower area is very tight while several TV channels didn't work. Overall, it was a nice hotel with reasonable price.

"Better than I expected"
Philip M, 06 Juillet 2017

After reviewing a number of hotels in Copenhagen I reluctantly chose the Best Western. A lot of the reviews of the Copenhagen hotels were not very positive. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Best Western. The facility and staff were very good. There were a few shortcomings but not nearly enough for me not to recommend this hotel

"Excellent!"
Bob B, 30 Juin 2017

We stayed at Best Western Hotel City for three nights in early June 2017. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town, within a few minutes' walk to Nyhavn, Stroget, and the Kongens Nytorv metro station. The hotel was super clean and the room spacious with a double bed and two single beds (there were four of us, two adults and two teenagers). The people working the front desk were always friendly and helpful. The morning we left we needed a taxi to take us to the cruise terminal, and the guy at the front office had a taxi for us within minutes. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of food: pastries, cold meats, cheeses, cold meats, sausage and bacon, fruit, yogurt, cereal, you name it. I highly recommend this hotel for the location, service, and cleanliness.

"Perfect location!"
RAINBOW1, 20 Juin 2017

We loved our stay at Best Western Plus Hotel City Copenhagen. First, the location is just 1/2 a block from the water, on a quiet street, and is just 4 blocks from colorful Nyhavn and the bridge which goes to Christianshavn. Second, they had a fine staff. We were fortunate that Christian checked us in, as he spoke perfect English, was able to tell us that a bus we intended to use was no longer running, and was very helpful and kind. We upgraded to a room was slightly larger than most, which was a good investment, as it had a sofa and ample space and was very clean and well-serviced, with a good bed and good wifi. The bathroom was slightly small, but more than adequate. The breakfasts were wonderful, with an excellent selection of hot and cold items and was served with pride and care. We even saw part of the Copenhagen Marathon, which routed a half a block away from the hotel. The Hotel City was close to everything, and greatly enhanced our stay in Denmark.

"Confidential Information"
Catherine S, 19 Juin 2017

I was given the wifi password on a scrap of recycled paper on arrival only to find a previous guests full name and credit card details on the flip side. No manager on hand but I raised the issue at reception and the response was disinterested at best with the comment "we've been told not to do that before". What!!!! I find their lack of procedures to deal with sensitive information disturbing. I lodged a written complaint and no reply despite a promise to get back within 24 hours. I'll be giving this chain of hotels a wide berth in the future.

"Great location right in the middle of everything "
Damien B, 13 Juin 2017

We stayed here before and after our Baltic Cruise and loved the location. We were within walking distance of most things - Christianborg Palace, Nyhavn, great restaurants and shopping. The staff are delightful, helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast (included) is very good too. Would stay here again anytime. A+++++

"Great place in downtown Copenhagen"
10234, 12 Juin 2017

On our last trip to Copenhagen we stayed our last night near the airport. Bad decision. This time we picked this hotel and are very happy. The room was very large with plenty of room for two large suitcases. Comfortable chairs, big desk, bedside tables, great bed with good pillows. Nothing I can complain about. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was well above average. Bathroom did not have a tub but shower was great and lots of room for our stuff. Our room was next to the elevator but we did not hear a sound. The entry into the hotel requires going up a half dozen steps, no ramp, and no bell boys to help. This is my only complaint. We are older but did manage to get our suit cases up and down the steps. It is a short walk to everything downtown. Nice.

"Convenient and Clean"
Robert2920, 11 Juin 2017

We stayed at the Best Western City for one night prior to leaving on a cruise out of Copenhagen. The hotel is perfectly located with easy access to the city center and the canals. It is a short walk to Nyhaven and the tourist spots. The breakfast was excellent and the service very good. the staff was helpful with directions and with leaving the luggage after checkout.

"Good location & hotel"
Nina M, 08 Juin 2017

I stayed 4 nights. It is located on a quiet street near to Nyhavn. I had a pleasant room. The shower was cramped and it was hard to turn around in it without knocking the water regulator handle, otherwise I had no complaints and was very comfortable. The breakfast array and quality was very good. Staff were friendly, pleasant and informative. I was able to walk to the opera house without having to take the water bus.

"Got robbed!"
raisa9031, 03 Juin 2017

Never got robbed in the hotel room?? You can have this experience!! Book here! Complain to Expedia , no response! vacation was spoiled. Loss money, passport and some valuables! Needed to go to the embassy , get a new passport and airline charged a lot of money to change the flight.

"Very good experience"
Phil L, 02 Juin 2017

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be quite comfortable. It was a brisk 10 minute walk from Kongens Nytorv metro station. Reception was courteous and helpful. We arrived at mid-day and the check in process took about 10 minutes. The hotel itself is centrally located, within walking distance to Nyhavn Canal and the Street Food Market. The area around the hotel was very safe and secure. The facility and furnishings are dated but the room was clean, spacious, and outfitted with the usual amenities. The bathroom is cramped but includes all the usual toiletries. Hot water and water pressure was in good order. The breakfast is continental buffet. It was filling and we have no complaints. All in all, this hotel was a great find and we will absolutely stay at this hotel again when we revisit Copenhagen.

"Very close to the popular Nyhavn area and very comfortable"
DaveHMaryland, 29 Mai 2017

We spent 3 days at the BW Hotel City at the end of a cruise and did not regret the choice of our hotel. The room is not big, but certainly ample and has all the necessary conveniences, such as individually controlled heating/cooling, a large tv, a good wifi connection and bathrobes complete with slippers. The morning buffet, included in our price, was large with many options. An added benefit for us was its proximity to the Nyhavn Canal area, only 3 blocks from its many restaurants, cafes and great ice cream and yet far enough away to avoid the noise from late night summer party goers.. It is also near the number 66 bus line that runs to the Central Train Station and the Tivoli Park. We would recommend this hotel and gladly stay there again on a future Copenhagen visit.

"Best, Best Western"
Alpohe, 27 Mai 2017

We were looking for an affordable family hotel in Copenhagen for our family of 5. Affordable is a relative term in Copenhagen. Rooms have a queen size bed and pull out sofa. No rollaway is available so we had to book 2 rooms--helpful to have 2 showers, but makes the all-in cost pretty steep. We didn't see any other options in Copenhagen for one large room that would sleep 5 people. When we first walked in it felt more like a boutique hotel than a Best Western you would see in the U.S. Rooms are simple but clean and efficient. Flat screen TV and good bath products. Breakfast is good, with several hot and cold options. Breakfast and wifi were included in our rate. Front desk personnel were all friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is good--close to the canal and lots of restaurants. Short bus ride or 20 min walk to Tivoli Gardens. Only a 3 min walk to the metro station that connects to the airport. Much better neighborhood that over near the train station. Don't let your perception of Best Western in the U.S. dissuade you from staying here. We would stay here again.

"Great location with a nice breakfast included"
Karen C, 22 Mai 2017

We booked this hotel so we could tour Copenhagen for a few days before leaving for a cruise. The hotel is conveniently located and you can easily walk to most of the sites in the city. Nyhavn is only a few blocks walk and has great restaurants as well as you can catch a canal boat tour. The hotel provides a hot breakfast - usually scrambled and hard boiled eggs, bacon & sausage and also cold selections daily which helped you get the day started on a full stomach. We were upgraded and had a room with tow twin beds placed together, a couch, chair, coffee table and desk. Bathroom was smaller and the shower area was tight but it served its purposes. People were very friendly but the front desk is sometimes only manned with one person so you may have to wait as they also answer the phones. They do not have a coin laundry or a fitness area but walking around Copenhagen provided plenty of exercise. They also have bikes to rent to get around the city since that is the primary form of transport for the local people.

"small room but great"
snookies608, 21 Mai 2017

Stayed here one night. Very clean and with everything we need -- even though the room was very small. Breakfast was perfect and the location was really great -- on a quiet street but walkable to everything. Would definitely stay again.

"well placed close to centre"
gekkotruck, 17 Mai 2017

friendly clean scandic/nordic style fair priced for location limited breakfast good sized room mid sized with personal touch well placed for old centre in walking distance airport reasonable distance for taxi

"Beautifully furnished with classic Danish designs"
Hilary L, 17 Mai 2017

Stunning entrance hall where you realise this is a design fan's heaven. Classic Danish chairs all around and the bedroom was very clean and stylish. Really central location and although not cheap it was good value. The breakfast was good with a fair amount of choice on the buffet. Definitely a good place to stay to enjoy the best of Copenhagen easily reached on foot.

"Great Location for Fabulous City"
RunningZed, 12 Mai 2017

Out second trip to Copenhagen as it's such a wonderful city. Two nights in the BW City Hotel picked due to its location and review score. It didn't disappoint. Not exactly cheap but Copenhagen hotels are not in general. Room was spacious, super quiet and with tea making facilities. Well a kettle. No milk just creamer. Still there is a bar downstairs. Staff were very friendly at reception and breakfast. We loved the choice at breakfast. Very Danish, plenty of it and variety. The cheese slicer was amazing!! Would stay again and recommend. Location a block or so away from Nyhvan a real bonus.

"Would have liked to stay longer"
Mikko J, 09 Mai 2017

I was on a quick business trip with just one night stay. I came early and did not yet receive a room, but was well taken care of meanwhile. Room was small but comfortable with all that I needed. I originally selected the hotel more or less randomly and was pleasantly surpsised to realize how well located it is when I went out for a walk in the evening. The waterfall as well as other design of the lobby was very attractive.

"Great location, Nordic design, friendly service"
annehe, 08 Mai 2017

The location is great: it is just a short walk from the picturesque Nyhavn and many other tourist attractions. The hotel seems to be proud of the Nordic design: in the elevator there are photos of famous examples of Danish furniture design with explanations (and of course all the furniture is in the same style). The room was rather small but clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that there was a kettle in the room so it was possible to make coffee. The breakfast was amazing: the famous Danish pastries did not disappoint! I felt very welcome at the hotel: when I needed something, the receptionists were always friendly and helpful.

"GOOD LOCATION WITH FRIENDLY STAFF"
TaKy_Yau, 08 Mai 2017

The location is good and just 5 mins from the metro station and you can take metro to the airport. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but its good enough for me. However, there is no air con in my room but they do have the fan.

"Excellent Choice for Copenhagen Visit"
Lakeview5, 07 Mai 2017

After much research we chose this hotel for our three day visit to Copenhagen. It ended up being a wonderful choice. We were close to Nyhavn and walked to all of the other must see sites in the city. The hotel is on a quiet street, is clean, has free wifi, rooms are well appointed, the staff was always very friendly and helpful, and best of all the free breakfast was the best we have ever had! Thank you for a remarkable visit. We would certainly choose this hotel again if we return to Copenhagen.

"Good location and good service"
Marianne S, 10 Avril 2017

The best thing with this hotel was good location and the next best thing was good and prompt service. You can reach the hotel from the airport by metro and all the historic sights are within walking distance. The room was spacious (superior room) although the bathroom was rather tiny. The decor of the room was somewhat cold and plain (Scandinavian design but even that can be much more engaging). I would have wished for slippers as the stone floors were really cold. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of food to choose from. I would however point out that the coffee that came out of the machine was instant coffee and did not taste good. So slippers and real coffee would be my recommendation, otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much!

"Good base for exploring the city"
missmsm113, 08 Avril 2017

The hotel has a lovely entrance which makes you feel really welcomed and that you are staying in a good quality hotel The rooms do not match up to this standard but are perfectly adequate for crashing into bed after a busy day. The bathroom is tiny as is the shower (the shower curtain stuck to me while I was showering!) The breakfast is excellent. A great selection and all delicious

"Sound"
davidw187069, 07 Avril 2017

Very well situated for Nyhavn and Paper Island etc. Nothing adverse to report about the hotel; Best Western are generally sound. Decent Indian restaurant at the end of the street, if you get fed up of fish! Only gripe is that breakfast is served lukewarm; but, to be fair, this seems to be a universal Scandinavian custom.

"Good location "
Kristín S, 05 Avril 2017

Very nice hotel with friendly staff willing to help with everything. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room so quiet. The room at the hotel is not so big but everything is clean and the design is nice.

"Stylish and friendly"
Mark H, 30 Mars 2017

This hotel has a great location and is tastefully decorated with references to modern architecture, which they are very good at in Copenhagen. The rooms and beds are comfortable. I found the shower a bit small but I guess that is a characteristic of old buildings. The breakfast buffet is great and freshly prepared. A nice touch is being able to rent bicycles from the hotel.

"Perfect location, great staff"
Borgking, 27 Novembre 2016

We spent four nights and were exceptionally happy. Yes, the rooms aren't large but they are well maintained, have international TV stations in various languages and the breakfast buffet is varied and gives you a good start into the day. The hotel is not cheap but by Copenhagen standard and taking into account the great location it is worth the price

"Small Room but Nice Hotel "
AMCTheJetSetter, 17 Novembre 2016

A lot of hotels in Copenhagen have extremely small rooms, and this is one of them. Twin size bed, with just enough room for a small desk, chair and side table. The bathroom was adequate, but the shower was really small. The window opened to let some fresh air in, which was good because the room got stuffy pretty quickly. The breakfast buffet is quite good; no complaints here. The front desk staff were helpful. You can buy a bottle of water or soda at the front desk, but you must ask for it. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are some good ones nearby.

"Well situated, good price but not ideal for tall persons..."
Roger B, 15 Novembre 2016

I booked this hotel while on a 4 days visit to Copenhagen for business purposes. The hotel is well situated and quite stylish on the reception/breakfast floor. It is well below average in price compared to other modern hotels and the price includes a decent breakfast with lots of Danish pastries, some fruits, some cheese and the obligatory eggs, bacon and fried beans. Nothing special but nothing to complain about either. The interior refers to Danish design and is overall pleasant. But the standard rooms are right-out tiny. My 1.88 meter tall frame fully fills the bed and showering is just uncomfortable to say it mildly. The bar is tiny too and doesn't really invite to enjoy time with friends or colleagues. I can't possibly imagine spending time with a family here. Especially as there is no possibility to take lunch or dinner. In all, this is a cheap, clean and well situated place while on a short business trip to Copenhagen. Anyone who asks for more or intends to stay longer, should be ready to pay more and go elsewhere.

"Good hotel in superb location"
remshall, 06 Novembre 2016

A very good location right in the centre ideal for exploring the City.Good value for this expensive City.We had a ground floor room at the front and we had been warned this could be noisy. It was not a problem,a good clean room with a bath and a shower, tea and coffee provided.A good selection for breakfast including a good choice of hot dishes(we did not need lunch!).Staff were pleasant and helpful,we found everyone in Copenhagen friendly and willing to help with directions.I cannot really fault the hotel and would recommend it for anyone looking for two or three nights exploring the city.

"Great hotel in a good location"
caughtoffside, 27 Octobre 2016

Stayed here for a weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a rustic charm to it. The weather was bad but luckily the hotel gave us free umbrellas. The metro is nearby and you can use it to tour Copenhagen. The room was reasonably spacious with a nice big tv. However, the bath was ridiculously small. Instead of key cards, we were given a old fashioned key. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

"Great location. Good value."
Movadoman, 25 Octobre 2016

Just got back from our 4 night stay at this good and friendly hotel in expensive Copenhagen. Copenhagen is on the up as a tourist destination, but truly has a long way to go in our opinion. That said, if you need a comfortable and cost effective base from which to tour this Scandinavian city, this stylish little hotel offers the perfect choice. Our adult party of 3 reserved 2 rooms. A superior double and a single occupancy standard double room. Both rooms were spacious and reasonably well equipped with good amenities for the 3 star rating, such as safe, tea and coffee making facilities, seating areas and flat screen TV. We loved the vibe of the hotel. It's located on a quiet side street in a convenient but central location just 3 minutes walk from Nyhavn and 5 minutes walk from Kongens Nytorv metro station and Magasin du Nord department store. The staff were great and the breakfast buffet served adjacent to the lobby was extensive, quality and all round excellent. The hotel is not perfect in every regard. We disliked the pillows but loved the comfortable beds, liked the large wall mounted TV but hated its limited channel choice, appreciated the spaciousness of the room but were underwhelmed by some minor design flaws like the lack of drawer space and especially elements of the small ensuite shower room. A small sink had a shelf right above it and heads collided with these on numerous occasions. The shower curtain was rubbish. In a more affordable European city location than Copenhagen, we would be less forgiving. 100 metres away is an excellent curry house restaurant called Sahil which is well worth a visit and 400 metres away is Tonys restaurant an extremely busy and above average vibrant Italian restaurant serving stylish food at a great price, but avoid their £45 cheapest bottle of red wine recommendation and stick to beer or water. We loved the Danes, loved some parts of their city, but overall thought Copenhagen to be seriously underwhelming compared to many European city destinations, especially at these prices.

"Great Location"
susan j, 24 Octobre 2016

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. It is in an ideal location and suited us perfectly. The reception/lobby is well serviced and the staff polite and helpful. The lounge/breakfast area is kept very tidy and clean. The breakfast here is really worth having with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. There is a small bar area which didn't seem to get used very much but we took advantage and found it to be perfectly acceptable. The first room we were given did not meet our expectations as we had specifically reserved a double room and we were shown to a twin room which was quite small in size. Upon request they offered to move us the following day due to the hotel being full for the evening. Whilst it wasn't much hassle to move, it would have been nice of them to get it right first time and particularly as they knew that we were there for a sporting event and so would have a fair bit of luggage including a bicycle. Nevertheless it worked out fine in the end and our double room was more than adequate. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels and toiletries replaced on a daily basis. The hotel cycle hire service worked well too and I would recommend this to anyone that visits Copenhagen. The city lends itself to cyclists and its great fun sightseeing this way. Despite our little hiccup we would still go back to the Best Western as we found it reasonable value for money even though Copenhagen is an expensive City to visit plus for the location alone it's worth it.

"Excellent!"
Viccle, 21 Octobre 2016

I have only good things to say about this hotel! Given that it was a reasonable price in what looked to be an excellent location I was a bit anxious despite the good reviews. But all the praise given to this hotel by other reviewers is very valid. Location is excellent is is on a quiet street yet in the centre of all tourist attractions so we walked to everything just getting an uber home in evenings as it was dark and we would be tired. There are a few restaurants on the same street (sushi and Indian) and just round the corner a few more. Or a 5 minute walk is the main harbour area full of bats and restaurants. On the advice of a another reviewer we took the metro from the airport to the metro stop which is 5 minutes walk. The reception check in was fast and friendly and we were able to check in early. We had a twin room and we found it perfect for our two night stay. Very light and airy. The beds are singles but there is one on each side of the room so it is good to not be right next to each other. Nice bedding and comfortable. Big tv, lots of plugs, good wardrobe and bag storage in entrance area of room with full length mirror. Two chairs and then desk and desk chair. Bathroom small but well laid out with nice towels and shampoo, shower gel, soap and body lotion provided. Shower, no bath. Kettle also in room with small supply of tea and coffee (may need to ask for more if you need tea for two in evening and morning before housekeeping replenish). Iron and ironing boards hanging outside in corridor. No air con but we could open the window and turn down the radiator and if needed there was a fan in the wardrobe. We were happy with this but maybe in summer people that like cool rooms may miss air con. Everywhere in hotel is well kept and feels fresh and clean. It is not super modern or extravagant but has a few nice design features to make it a bit nicer than a completely run of the mill bland hotel. After reception there is a large atrium area with seating with a small bar area to one side and then more table seating on the other side. A final big plus was the breakfast provided. Many of the hotels I looked at didn't provide breakfast so I wasn't expecting much but as reviewers have commented it really was a good spread and very good quality. If you like a made to order cooked breakfast then you won't get that but they had the basics for a hot breakfast (scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, toast) and then loads of yummy pastries and all the usual continental stuff with danish items too. If you are looking for a good value, very well positioned hotel then this an excellent place!

"Great place to stay in Copenhagen"
Alexis A, 19 Octobre 2016

Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Very modern inside, even though the building is old, clean rooms with modern design and the best location closed to the main Metro station and the waterfront facilities. Great breakfast too and friendly staff at the reception and breakfast. Stayed for business but it will be a nice holiday hotel too.

"Budget hotel, budget bed and tiny bedroom"
Vicki M, 11 Octobre 2016

I picked this hotel as it was well situated and had OK reviews. We booked a larger room for a bit more space for cases etc. The room size was good, the bathroom had to be the smallest hotel bathroom I have ever seen. Furniture was uncomfortable, bed was uncomfortable. We also had to get some light globes replaced as they did not work. Good breakfast! While it was well situated I would not stay here again

"Perfect location for a Copenhagen sojourn"
wfadler, 11 Octobre 2016

Other reviewers have noted this hotel's perfect location. It's on a relatively quiet street - "relatively" because no cobblestone street is actually quiet - one-half block from the main canal and Nyhavn street. Importantly, it is only three blocks from the Kongens Nytorv Metro station, so you can get to and from the airport for US$3.75 in 15 minutes - much easier than the train. Everything you would want to see and many restaurants are within 15 minutes' walk. Our standard room was US$773 for three nights. As others have also noted, the breakfast buffet is one of the best included breakfasts we've ever had. The room was small but the beds comfortable. We don't understand why European hotels provide only a single down comforter on the bed rather than sheets and blankets. We were so warm that we had to take the comforter out of its cover and sleep with the cover sheet only. The bathroom was also small and not well laid out. Why bother asking guests to reuse their towels when the bathroom contains too few towel hooks?

"Ideal location, great hotel, great breakfast"
hhols2012, 06 Octobre 2016

We were so, so pleased with every aspect of our stay at this hotel. The location can't be beat -- right next to Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv, and the Stroget. Close and easy to both the metro and bus. A short walk to The Little Mermaid. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was really exceptional as well; Unexpected to have such a robust offering. We would absolutely choose this hotel again for visiting Copenhagen.

"Great Location"
Sambo_64, 04 Octobre 2016

We stayed 2 nights here, It has a great location close to Nyhaven wharf and walking distance to most attractions, Rooms were good, clean and comfortable, Breakfast was good with a fair selection to choose from, there is no air-conditioning probably due to a cooler climate so warmer nights are a bit uncomfortable but in all it was a good stay

"Exceptional value"
dchristie1, 03 Octobre 2016

This Best Western is a cut above - gorgeous lobby and rooms, very well located near the Nyhavn canal, in the center of Copenhagen, near bus 26 stops (to ferry to Oslo), and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

"Boutique Hotel That Covers the Essentials"
Fiennes, 28 Septembre 2016

We stayed here for one night after a cruise and should have booked it also on the front end where we spent three nights at another hotel. It is not in any way like an American Best Western. It is stylish, well-located near the river, with a good buffet breakfast and rooms slightly bigger than is typical of the small Copenhagen rooms. Room layout was good and modern with a tiny, but adequate bathroom ( very small but modern shower). Don't know why it's a three-star compared to Hotel Phoenix, a four-star where we originally stayed.

"Pre-cruise hotel stay"
Robert B, 28 Septembre 2016

We stayed 3 nights before leaving on a cruise. The location was very close to Nyhavn and close to city transit and hop-on hop-off bus and harbor cruise. The hotel was clean and staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and well presented. This hotel does not have air conditioning, although there was a fan in the room. There are several steps up to the lobby which could be problematic for anyone with a disability.

"A reasonable hotel with excellent staff"
BrochUSA, 27 Septembre 2016

I stayed at this hotel on business. The hotel itself is in a lovely old district of the city just minutes walk from the Metro and very close to great shopping areas and restaurants. Access to the hotel is up a number of steps, which is a bind with luggage, but the staff at the front desk are very courteous and extremely helpful. This is a 'budget' chain of hotels and as such there is no restaurant or room service. My room on the second floor was not that spacious but then I was out at work all day and out looking for somewhere to have dinner in the evening, so that wasn't so much of an issue. There was NO air conditioning (a small fan provided but only good for recirculating warm air) and it's too noisy to open a window. The room and bathroom were clean and functional. The major gripe about the room - the shower! Water pressure etc was great but the shower cubicle was an odd shape owing to the room format and as such I couldn't actually stand under the shower itself - you have to take the unit in your hand and shower that way, I really didn't care for it much. Although there was no restaurant they did have a resident bar (I didn't try) and they had an area for a buffet style breakfast in the morning which was actually very good indeed. Despite the drawbacks of the room I would certainly consider this hotel again for the future given its location, value and the staff - I could not fault them despite concerns I may have had reading other reviews.

"Brilliant!"
Lucy954, 24 Septembre 2016

This hotel is in a fantastic location with easy access to the station, shopping and eating districts. Rooms were really comfortable and spacious and it was a very peaceful place. Breakfast offered a good selection and bikes can be hired from either the hotel or from the promenade a few meters away. Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Copenhagen!

"One of the best European business hotels"
SBSTex, 20 Septembre 2016

Great location in a quiet neighborhood near Nyhavn. The rooms are clean, efficient, very comfortable and bright. Breakfast choices are extensive. The property is modern, clean and in good condition. Definitely a good value and far exceeds any Best Western I have experienced.

"Good location"
crystallakecoach, 18 Septembre 2016

Hotel was in a great location..they offered bike rentals which was very convenient. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was extensive and quite good. Be sure when making a reservation to ask for a doouble bed or you may get two twins. Unless you want that.

"All about location"
IrishDanny, 17 Septembre 2016

Hotel located on quite street but still very centrally located. Can walk to most tourist sites with no problem.. Price of room was a little below other hotels in the area. Breakfast was good. As one reviewer stated the 6 or 7 steps to enter lobby from street can be a problem carrying luggage if you are not physical able.I am 72 and could manage, but my wife could not handle it. Very good Pakistani restaurant out front door and to right. So to sum this up, on quite street, very well located, reasonably priced, nice room, good breakfast, location is the key.

"Very Well Located and a Real Value"
JPDeA-43, 12 Septembre 2016

We selected this hotel carefully since we'd be staying for four nights. There were three reasons. It was a Best Western and we have always had good experiences in Europe with hotels that are members of this network. The location seemed to be central to the activities in which we were interested and the reviews that we read confirmed both the locational advantage and the hotel's amenities – the primary of which was a very extensive and tasty breakfast buffet that was included in the price. Relative to comparable hotels we found this hotel's price to be reasonable even though it was above what we'd pay in other European cities. One of our pleasant surprises about this hotel's location was that it was in an essentially residential neighborhood but there were at least three restaurants along this one-block street that ended at the main harbor's wharf that were inviting: an Argentinian restaurant (“Fiesta”) at one corner, a Pakistani restaurant (Sahill's) at the other corner at which we had a dinner, and in between Karma Sushi to which I would have gone if a table had not been available at Sahill's. We found the staff to be very personable and helpful. Their service and advice, when we asked, was on target and helpful. They ordered taxi service for us the night we went to Tivoli Gardens and when we needed to be at the airport for our departure. In this latter case, the company had a fixed rate for the hotel's clients: 390 DK. All taxi fares could be paid with credit cards. The room was very clean and spacious although its shower, while hardly the smallest we've ever had in Europe, was small but adequate. The bed was comfortable and the absence of air-conditioning and the use of a fan were not problems since the evenings cooled down from the very, unseasonably hot days in late August. The only issue for me was the quality of the WiFi signal in the room (3rd floor). In the public spaces on the ground floor the signal quality was somewhat better but, as the staff member explained, the system's robustness was tested by many users streaming film and playing games. It would be nice if this hotel's management found the resources to upgrade their system, as I know has been done in other BW properties. We would recommend this hotel to travelers like us.

"Great location !!"
lindy909, 10 Septembre 2016

Great hotel for getting around Copenhagen...we walked to all the slights we wanted to see perfectly situated in a quite side street with the river at the end of the road. Staff are reception were so very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was mostly continental with a few hot items but very fresh and refilled Room was very nice...

"Great location"
wanderingmillenial24, 09 Septembre 2016

We really enjoyed our stay here but warning to other Americans there is no air conditioning. Wifi worked fabulously, good business center, excellent breakfast, big bed, and friendly staff. It was also right by Nyhavn and the new pedestrian bridge to the other side of the canal. Good pick if your looking for a moderately priced (for Copenhagen at least) hotel.

"Central location"
User, 08 Septembre 2016

A clean, pleasant, hotel with quite rooms and comfortable beds. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the location is excellent - near the river and close to many restaurants at Nyhaven. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. Housekeeping was slightly erratic. We had an electric jug but no tea bags, milk or sugar were provided. The bright lights on the TV and a/c were annoying at night and needed the usual sticky tape treatment.

"Good, but..."
Frequentraveller4950, 07 Septembre 2016

Quite a good hotel, but not perfect. Location is so so. It's an area which is trying to improve its past, but away from the city centre - 20-25 mins, metro (train station) is about 10 mins. The main flaw is that this quite a large hotel but pretends to be a boutique hotel. There are only two lifts serving the whole building. Breakfast is quite good: quality & variety, but space in the room is limited at peak times so it spills onto bar area. It's not very comfortable eating from low bar tables. Staff is very friendly and helpful, which is very positive. The room we had (superior) was very well appointed. It was tastefully decorated and offered good facilities. Downside points were that the safe was at the bottom of the wardrobe, level with the floor - most awkward to get to. There were no luggage racks, and there were no handles by the bath/shower for safety.

"Terrible Customer Service"
danae W, 05 Septembre 2016

After a cruise this past July (2016) we booked a room at the Best Western in the city. The location of the hotel was good, the breakfast was nice and the room was adequate (not worth the money) but that is were it ended. As we arrived at the hotel there were about 6 steep steps inside the door of the hotel that led to the lobby. To my shock the front desk man (a young man) watched as I struggled to lift our bags up the stairs. Please note that the employee was not assisting anyone at the desk as he watched me. Once I managed the bags to the top he then asked me if I needed assistance. The next morning at check out, I stepped away from the lobby for a minute and returned to find my 70plus year old mother struggling to carry the bags down the steps while a different employee (a young man as well) watched her. If this hotel does not employ individuals to help with the bags they should put an incline in. Before booking this hotel I noticed that their website stated that they had fixed taxi prices to the airport. I emailed the hotel and was quoted the fixed price. When I got in the taxi (that the hotel reserved for us) the taxi driver stated that there was not a fixed price. I ran back into the hotel and mentioned this to the front desk man and he stated that the hotel didn't have a fixed price. I said but your hotel emailed me a few days ago and quoted me a price. He then said well we discontinued that. I said since when because I just received the email a few days ago. He replied that the fixed price stopped that very morning. Because I had a plane to catch and a mounting taxi price I did not stay to argue. When I returned home I emailed the individual who I had communicated with and now 2 weeks later I have yet to have received a return email. Need-less-to-say I am disappointed in the costumer service from this hotel and would not stay there again.

"3 star hotel delivering 5 star service"
teamirons, 05 Septembre 2016

Very comfortable hotel in a very good location but most of all really good and friendly staff. We had an issue with our room which was our fault but the head receptionist resolved the problem with no fuss and very good grace - excellent.

"Very convenient"
jph1066, 05 Septembre 2016

We spent 4 nights here. the location is excellent, our room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Also the breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold dishes. A perfect location for exploring the city. The only downside was that the bath drain was blocked' but the staff sorted it out quickly and efficiently.

"Very central hotel"
Larnel, 30 Août 2016

We booked this hotel for its lication and a 4 day stay before our cruise. The check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The double room was on the 5th floor (502) and was large and very clean with a double bed, sofa, small table with an armchair, dedk and chair, good size TV, air conditioning, wardrobe, safe, mini fridge but no iron. The bathroom was a reasonable size but it had the smallest shower that I have ever been in. There was a second door separating the sleeping room from the entrance, although the hallway was very quite the door would keep any noise away from the hallway if required. Breakfast was of a good quality and more than you need to start the day. The Best Western Hotel City is a 3 minute walk to Nyhaven area, 5 minute walk to the Kongens Nytorv metro (which will take you yo the airport) 10 minutes to the shopping area and also to Papiroen (food market). Almost everything in Copenhagen is only a 30 minute easy walk. I would highly recommend this hotel even with the small shower.

"All good"
Firas S, 29 Août 2016

Clean place, very nice staff, perfect location, nice rooms, room size is ok, room decor is really nice, breakfast is basic but good, good quality bike are available for renting (~16€/day). I strongly recommend this hotel for any type of trip.

"Very good location in Old City"
Yalim A, 29 Août 2016

Best Western Hotel City is very well located in the Old Town of Copenhagen. Everything is in walking distance. You can reach to Nyhavn via beautiful view of the city in 5 minutes by walk. Also distance to metro is around 5 minutes by walk. We reached to hotel from the airport by metro very easily. Between 25-28 August 2016 , we stayed 3 days in the superior room with street view, our room was clean and it has been cleaned every day , bed was comfortable , staff was friendly and helpful. There was no air conditioning but the window was enough to get fresh and cool air .Breakfast was self service , very good and comprehensive as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

"A great Old City hotel"
Jewel S, 28 Août 2016

This hotel was perfect for us as it was within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do in Copenhagen. Comfortable beds, friendly and helpful hotel staff, clean and functional rooms. No air conditioning but in late August we didn't need it as we could leave our windows open to the lovely breeze off the ocean. Small bathroom but sufficient for our needs. Loved the shower (even though it was quite small) after a very long flight from Canada. Fantastic breakfast buffet that was included in the cost of our hotel meal. Would stay here again.

"Fabulous hotel - great location, staff, rooms and service"
BruggeisCool, 27 Août 2016

Booked 2 Superior Double/Twin rooms from 27 July – 1 August 2016 directly with hotel (in English, initially via a phone call, with follow up emails). Both rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious, quiet and well equiped. Ensuite shower rooms were lovely. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast self-service and delicious. Nice bar area, all public areas very well kept. Great location - quiet, but only a short (approx 5 min) walk to Metro. Completely recommend. Hope I get to stay here again. Loved Copehagen itself - stayed 4 days, with husband and kids aged 13 and 17. Only scratched the surface of this wonderful city - wish we had had 2 weeks.

"Stylish, centrally located and for Copenhagen excellent value"
BerkshireTigger, 27 Août 2016

Stayed here 3 nights. We chose this hotel due to its central location and the fact that breakfasts were included. Staff were friendly and happy to look after our bags as we arrived on an early morning flight. Breakfasts were very good and there was plenty of choice with delicious freshly baked Danish pastries. Our room was very clean, fairly spacious and as you might expect in Denmark very stylish. If we were to find fault it would be with the small shower room and the fact we were in a corner room looking across an inner courtyard to other rooms.

"Brilliant!!"
Tredelerch, 26 Août 2016

We have arrived back today from a short break at this hotel, which we found to be a superb choice for our needs. Location wise, it is a ten minute walk from the tube station from the airport, two minutes from the waters edge and ten minutes from Nyhavn. We had a top floor room - small lobby with storage and a safe, wet room bathroom and bedroom. The room was clean and presentable, with a smart tv, air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Nothing fancy, but we always planned to be out seeing the city, rather than staying in the room. Breakfast was superb, with hot and cold options - all self service, but very fresh and appealing. The hotel had 24 hour reception, which was very efficiently staffed - friendly and helpful at all times. An excellent choice for us - we averaged 12 miles a day around the city and the hotel was exactly what we needed. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and will definitely stay again next time we come back.

"Expectation exceeded"
Zurich, 23 Août 2016

I booked this hotel on Best Western rewards points and was happy get a 'deluxe room' confirmed. I was encouraged by positive reviews here on Tripadvisor. However, I kept my expectations low. We arrived around noon time and were able to do the check-in formalities with a very pleasant front desk agent (Kristian). I was absolutely surprised that our room was already available. Well, this is by chance, due to occupancy and availability and not under control of hotel staff. However, I appreciated this a lot and it made a great time benefit for the subsequent afternoon. Next surprise, under control of the hotel management: my Best Western status has been acknowledged (mineral water and candy, which was quality Alban Bergh marzipan). This happened only once during my Best Western rewards membership. Then, arriving at our room, I found out that my preferences had been fully acknowledged: high floor (we were on 5th floor) and quiet room. Maybe all deluxe rooms show towards the court yard, but it made me happy since it allowed for open windows during the night. The room was bright, airy and well appointed. Everything was clean and well maintained. A hughe plus: a second door separating the sleeping room from the entrance!!! This would keep any noise away from the hallway. At night, again a pleasant, friendly and efficient front desk agent gave the room keys to us (no room cards, still the old room keys). Breakfast was of average quality. but good and sufficient. Unfortunately only nescafe was available, although I saw the employee serving coffee from the bar. Since I did not ask I do to know. However, she was absolutely pleasant, very kind and careful. The same front desk agent checked us out (Kristian). So it was a happy welcome and a happy farewell. I was absolutely impressed by the staff and by the room decor and the hotel's general appearance. Location is fine, bus no. 66 goes to/from central station to a stop 2' away. I let management know of my positive impressions and received an immediate reply. All in all I can only recommend this hotel.

"a nice place to stay while in Copenhagen"
Robert K, 18 Août 2016

This best western hotel has a terrific location and provides a great breakfast. It is within a couple of blocks of the canal boat area and within easy walking distance of the little mermaid and other tourist attractions. I took very pleasant walks each morning along the canal. The hotel itself could use some sprucing up. It is looking a bit tired. The staff, like all Danish people we met, were very friendly and helpful.

"Perfect location !!"
HooverBoy, 17 Août 2016

Just like i like my hotels. on a quiet side street but about a 3 minute walk to Nyhavn and may other places to see and go !! Modern rooms, very clean, well kept, good size and nice bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast buffet. They have bikes for rent at the hotel in a bike mad town !!

"All you need: great location & value"
Alan T, 17 Août 2016

Chose this hotel based on convenient location and breakfast included (worth considering in Copenhagen unless money no object). Very friendly & helpful staff. Pleasant room although rather hot under roof on 5th floor (sadly no aircon other than a fan). Good breakfast choice. Close to waterfront & just 5 minute walk to famous Nyhaven area. Recommend trip across harbour to Christiania district & Papiroen streetfood market. Would recommend this hotel and happy to return.

"Very good location, mid-end hotel near Nyhavn"
richard_cambridge, 17 Août 2016

From a US perspective, Best Western is a budget brand, but they're substantially better in Europe. They typically run hotels in existing older buildings, once independent hotels. It's kind-of a budget version of small boutique hotels. The Hotel City in Copenhagen is a perfectly reasonable example, if not the best. The location was great, right on the waterfront on a quiet side street very near the tourist hub of Nyhavn. The room was good, an OK size and as usual in Scandinavia, everything nice, clean, and working well. Breakfast was good, keeping in mind that Scandinavian standards are very high in this regard. The hotel had bicycles to rent for the day. Front desk service was very good, friendly and professional. It's a bit of a shame the hotel doesn't open to the outside at all; no advantage is taken of the street frontage, and the common spaces are all on the interior.

"Not the very "best" western..."
horaxx, 16 Août 2016

During my trips around the world, I've stayed in a few hotels of this chain, but this one was the one I liked less... Even we arrived around 5-6 p.m., and was supposed they had enough time to prepare the room, we found the trash can from bathroom full, and with some used tampons near it... Also, some blond hair on the desk (even none of us is blond)... And the receptionist simply told us : "we don't have any blond housekeepers"... ??? What ??? That gives the presumption that nobody visited the room after the previous customers have left... Anyway... Room was big enough, with free wifi, TV and good sleeping conditions. Bathroom was very small, with a shower that gave you claustrophobia, with poor toiletries (we received a tiny mini bottle of shower gel for 2 persons, even was not enough even for 1 person, daily). Breakfast was good and various, with fresh fruits, but some days, the scrambled eggs tasted weird. All in all, hotel is pretty close to a lot of interesting things to do/see in Copenhagen. Disappointing for me, not sure I would recommend it...

"High marks for Best Western Hotel City in Copenhagen!"
texag80, 14 Août 2016

Look no further when staying in Copenhagen. The Best Western Hotel City covers all the bases! Excellent location, very nice superior room, excellent breakfast each morning and the best staff ever! First, Micalah, Nete and Kristian were the best staff we have ever had at any hotel. My wife and I departed our cruise ship on a Saturday morning and withing 25 minutes, we were at the reception area of the Hotel City. Once we arrived, we dropped our bags and headed out in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. Micalah, Nete and Kristian gave excellent recommendations for directions, places to eat nearby (and there are many) and also made a reservation at the Koefoed restaurant for one of the best meals we have ever had! The Best Western Hotel City is just 2 short blocks from the amazing Nyhavn area and walking distance to everything. We walked several times from the hotel to the magnificent "Stroget" walking street, the palaces, the Mermaid statue and all the nice restaurants in the area. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. They flip over backwards at the front desk to assist in every way. Best ever!

"Great location for sightseeing"
Ronnie M, 12 Août 2016

A great location, walking distance to a lot of the sights in Copenhagen. Rooms quite plain but very clean, beds very comfy.. Well presented breakfast with lots of choice. Staff very helpful with ideas for what to visit and where to eat!

"Good value location"
Penny H, 12 Août 2016

The hotel is situated in the heart of the financial/legislative centre - so has excellent metro/car/bike links. The restaurants/cafes/bars around about are good too. We even spotted a rather well-known face from 'Borgen'. ... and of course, there's New Haven just around the corner - which is very pretty to look around. Though I don't think I'd particularly want to eat on the harbour's edge - it's a bit too much of a tourist trap.

"In transit to a cruise"
TJeerddejong, 09 Août 2016

This hotel is in the center of town within walking distance of restaurants, sites for sightseeing and shops. Very convenient and not too pricey for such a central location. Our room was small but quiet and had all the facilities you would expect. The taxi ride from the airport is about $40.00 and to the ship a little less. We can recommend this hotel.

"Excellent location and value."
Colin D, 08 Août 2016

Finding an affordable (and available) hotel in the heart of Copenhagen can be a real challenge. The BW Hotel City delivered on value in a way that few 4-star hotels do. Nice room, decent breakfast, excellent staff, and a perfect location. Save your money for the sights and stay here.

"Great hotel! Highly recommend!"
DaisyLee518, 07 Août 2016

We stayed last night. Our plane arrived at 7:30 am, easy train ride from airport then a 5 minute walk to hotel. Clerk even checked to see if our room was ready (it wasn't) so he held our luggage while we went sightseeing and returned for 3 pm checkin. I recommend the HoHo busses to get everywhere. The beds were super comfy and the included breakfast buffet was varied, tasty and generous. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, modern and only about a 5 minute walk to both Nyhvan and Christianvan (spelling may be wrong for both). Highly recommend this hotel!!

"Unexpected: this 3 star hotel is better than many 4 star hotels"
Irina P, 07 Août 2016

In Copenhagen good hotels are expensive, so we decided to take simple option. We came for 2 nights and surprisingly - this hotel is better than many 4 star hotels. For price you pay you get more. Clean and good rooms, nice simple fresh breakfast. And we had very good sleep there. So I would say yes.

"Room ratio quality/price not to high"
Massimo M, 06 Août 2016

I was at the City for 2 not consecutive nights and not so happy for the rooms. Very comfortable lobby with very kind and qualified personnel, but when you'll see the room, expecting too see the same, but is not as hope. The ladies at the reception too disponible. Massimo

"Yes, wonderful!"
GSKorelys, 02 Août 2016

Copenhagen is an expensive city, and I feel like we got great value for our money at this hotel. First of all, it is only a five-minute walk from the central train station in Copenhagen. The lobby is pleasant and cool, and the people working the front desk were all very kind and efficient. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking a courtyard area between buildings that was covered by the lobby ceiling. The room was very large, big wardrobe and seating area, with a tiny bathroom (but perfectly useable). The bed was SO comfortable. The street that this hotel is on is very quiet, but it is SO close to Nyhavn and it was only a fifteen minute walk (across the kissing bridge) to the Copenhagen street food venue (which I highly recommend). Breakfast at this hotel was great, excellent spread and very tasty. It's worth noting that the rate offered for this hotel on Expedia was $40/less per night than the BW website offered, but by calling BW directly, I was able to get an even lower rate than either of the published prices. Great hotel!

"Was very agreably surprised"
Dorothea F, 02 Août 2016

Certainly better than a 3 star hotel. ALthough I usually go to 4star +, I would certainly go back to this very agreable hotel, perfect in cleanliness, aesthetics and high quality breakfast. Strongly recommend it

"Nice hotel"
Dov Z, 31 Juillet 2016

We had a wonderful time in Copenhagen. The Best Western Hotel City is centrally located next to major points of interest. The free breakfast provided us with an excellent start to a busy day of sightseeing.

"Location Location Location"
Grant W, 28 Juillet 2016

This is a great hotel to explore Copenhagen from, it's not flash, rooms are small but the big upside is that shopping, restaurants and places to visit are close and handy. Friendly staff and a hearty buffet breakfast add to the pluses. If you are seeking a 5 star venue the Best Western isn't for you, however if you want to be near the action without paying top price I would recommend this hotel.

"Weekend in Copenhagen with our adult daughter"
EdwinaM77, 27 Juillet 2016

After booking through TripAdvisor we were immediately emailed by the hotel asking if we would like a larger room at a small extra cost, given that we were 3 adults together - we accepted and were glad to be reassured. The room was perfect - a king size bed plus a fold out sofa bed and still lots of floor room to walk around. Plenty of storage and a huge desk. Furnishings and artwork sleek and modern throughout and the breakfast room and standard of breakfast, included, were wonderful. Staff were all delightful. Fabulous location minutes from the river.

"Central location but ..."
Mico62, 27 Juillet 2016

Great location, 5 mins from the metro station and the same from Nyhaven, comfy bed and a decent buffet breakfast set us up for a day exploring but no airconditioning meant we had to sleep with the window open and were woken by builders at 5.30am every morning, including Sunday. The din ended by 8am but by then we'd given up trying to sleep and gone for breakfast. When we complained to the receptionist she said she wasn't aware of anything as she didn't start work that early!

"Tiny room, ridiculously expensive"
ChristineMargaret, 25 Juillet 2016

The very small room had two very small single beds, a recessed desk and one chair on which we had leave our suitcase, no dresser, no suitcase rack, no small fridge, no safe, no AC, only a shower stall in tiny bathroom. Ridiculously expensive for what it was. By the time you've paid 20%+ hotel tax the room was almost Euro 500 a night. The hallway to the room was unusually long and slightly crooked which spooked me a little, bad emergency access in the event of fire. Construction noise woke us up on the only morning we could have slept in, but the street itself is pretty quiet and we lucked out on finding a handy street parking spot. We were told the parking garages are very expensive. The receptionist was rather put out when I asked to use the safe deposit at the front desk. It was out in the main lobby, not behind the desk which was wierd and not secure. Breakfast was pretty good, but the staff started clearing away food before the official time. Large plates of plastic wrapped food were whisked passed me at 10 minutes to 10. My guess is they were taking it home with them. The decor is modern Scandinavian which is nice to look at and the place is right around the corner from all the favourite tourist sights. But in the end I stll felt ripped off and don't plan on a return visit to Copenhagen.

"Pleasant stay"
Raymond E, 22 Juillet 2016

A centrally located hotel 40m from the river on a quiet road, the hotel is ideal for city breaks or business trips. The beds are comfortable and in the morning we enjoyed a good and varied fare. The hotel is not an up-market or intends to be, it fits the bill well for a good mid-range one, coupled with the helpful staff, made it one we would consider again.

"Helpful and very king staff"
Marc L, 20 Juillet 2016

The staff of the hotel were extremely helpful and kind. they went out of their way to help and provide information on the city. A staff member was always at the desk and answered all the questions I had for him or her.

"Nice Stay"
Riley0927, 18 Juillet 2016

We liked the location of the hotel. It is near Nyhavn which is a favorite place for us. The hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was great. The front desk staff was efficient; however, I didn't find them to be friendly. After a long day of travel it is nice to be welcomed in a warm manner which we didn't receive.

"Quiet location, great breakfast!"
shackelton, 18 Juillet 2016

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's located in a quiet part of town, but just a short walk from Nyhavn (where there are plenty of good restaurants) and the new Copenhagen Street Food venue. It's about a mile to Tivoli Garden or the Little Mermaid, but very easy walking to those sites. The room was large by European standards and had all the amenities you'd expect. Wifi worked well throughout the hotel. The staff was helpful with restaurant recommendations. And the breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of choices and something for everyone. Highly recommended!

"Friendly Staff, great location"
vieguy, 18 Juillet 2016

Stayed here for a longer sightseeing weekend - location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance to Amalienburg Castle, to Nyhavn and to the historical centre (Christiansborg Slot and Shopping Area). Tivoli Garden is around 15 min away... Staff was friendly and helpful! Breakfast was okay but not outstanding - unfortunately they do not offer fish or something like this! Dansihs pastry in the morning was delicious, regular coffee was not perfect but on request the staff offers italian coffee as well! Would recommend the hotel!

"Pretty and small room - fantastic breakfast "
Mirja E, 17 Juillet 2016

Really enjoyed staying here. I tried ginger shot for the first time, while enjoying other fresh products. The strawberries made my day!! The location is good enough. We had only little time to see the city but we could walk from here to some important places (we like to walk a lot). The connection to the Copenhagen Business School was very convenient by the lovely metro. I hope to stay in this hotel again.

"Hotel City"
Anders F, 12 Juillet 2016

I prefere to stay at BW Hotel City when I'm in Copenhagen. The hotel is not sig big, very central near Nyhavn. The service is personal and friendly, Rooms ar fine with danish design and high quality and the breakfast is great. I will recommed Hotel City for both business- and for private use

"Nice Hotel and central location"
William H, 11 Juillet 2016

Nice Hotel in a central location, very friendly staff, clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Bar prices were also very reasonable Central location handy for Metro and busses. Most places are within a short walk or ride on public transport.

"Great service and convenient location"
Heres_Kate, 09 Juillet 2016

We only stayed here for one night, but found the service to be attentive and the room very comfortable. The hotel is a short walk to Nyhavn, Stroget, and Kongens Nytorv (a handy hub for public transport), and the buffet breakfast is one of the best I've had! We were here during the Copenhagen Jazz festival, and were treated to live music in the hotel's foyer - an unexpected and lovely bonus! Although there was a bit of a problem with our booking (not the hotel's fault), the staff were tremendously helpful in sorting it out.

"Pleasant Friendly Hotel in Perfect Location"
carlandmoira, 09 Juillet 2016

This hotel is in a lovely quiet street but is perfectly placed for the best sights in Copenhagen, Nyhavn is 2 minutes in one direction and Kongens Nytorv ( where there is a metro station) is only 2 minutes in the other direction. Hotel is well placed for restaurants. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

"Solid, standard hotel "
LisaEurope2007, 08 Juillet 2016

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel City the night prior to a Princess Baltic Sea cruise. It's a solid hotel, and I recommend it to both business and leisure travelers. Here's the breakdown: Pros-- -Fantastic location; only two blocks from Nyhavn waterfront area. Also an easy walk to the city center shopping district. -Helpful, competent front desk staff -Outstanding breakfast buffet; I understand they do not have a full-day restaurant, but they start your day off well and you can walk to plenty of restaurants for other meals. -Moderate price for a very expensive city (US $ comparison) Cons-- -Small rooms for a basic standard; it was NYC, Tokyo, London small. Livable, but small... It was very easy to have a taxi called for our transport to the Copenhagen dock. No complaints really; they get my seal of approval!

"Great Location"
Telthearna, 29 Juin 2016

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights for our visit to Copenhagen, the location is excellent, as all the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance. The hotel was also very easy to get to, from the Airport, as the Metro from the Airport goes to a Metro station that is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Check in and out was very straight forward The Room was a good size, clean and very quiet and the bed very comfy Breakfast was excellent, there was a choice of Cold Meats, cheeses, fruit etc as well as a hot selection of sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, beans etc. The hotel doesn't have a Restaurant for evening meals, but this doesn't matter as there are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. All in all, a very good Hotel, and would happily recommend it to others.

"Great location. Very pricey."
dostreic, 22 Juin 2016

Room was large with decent seating area and a nice work area. Bathroom was a bit small but fit the bill. Breakfast was really good with lots of options and a nice lobby area, which was bright and clean. There's even a small meeting room. The staff was there but not particularly nice or helpful. Just there. That's the end of the review but I can't publish it unless I add more words so here are more words.

"Excellent hotel with great service"
TravellingInIreland, 22 Juin 2016

Stayed five nights on two occasions during recent vacation in Denmark. Great hotel, well located for access to main attractions. Quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfast. Air conditioning. Best of all; very good staff who went the extra step to make our stays enjoyable and problem free.

"Great stay at Hotel City"
Olen A, 18 Juin 2016

We were three days in Copenhagen pre-cruise and selected the Best Western Hotel City for our "base of operations". The hotel is located within walking distance of the Metro - Kongens Nytorv station and is two short blocks from Nyhavn. The weather was beautiful for our three days there and so we walked everywhere except one ride on the Metro to Tivoli Gardens one evening. The prices were reasonable for the room and location. We were in room 501 which is located on the fifth floor at the end of the hall. It overlooked the inner courtyard. We had no disturbances at all. We arrived a little early and the room was not yet available so we left our luggage at the Front Desk and went exploring. Upon return a couple of hours later the room was ready. Being there to board the ship I totally forgot that we would need a power adaptor to charge our phones. When I enquired at the Front Desk where the closest place to purchase one might be they offered a loaner for us to use. (That made up for the room not being ready early!) Breakfast was a good variety of hot and cold foods, meats and cereals. It was never crowded except on Sunday when we were to board the ship and even then there was room for everyone. The Front Desk personnel were all pleasant to deal with and spoke good english. We would definitely stay here again.

"Good time in Amsterdam"
waynecR3018SH, 18 Juin 2016

This is a well run and friendly place. We will surely choose the Best Western Dam Square again. It is well located. We would choose a room at the rear of the hotel another time---late night "happy people" on the street can be a bit disturbing--

"Great loc for sightseeing"
sandramT6254UV, 17 Juin 2016

We liked the location for the sightseeing we did while staying a few additional days in Copenhagen after a cruise. It wasn't hard to get there from the cruise ship location. We used local transportation to get around or walked. Would stay here again if we get back to Copenhagen.

"great location and value"
twotravellersOntario, 13 Juin 2016

This is a moderately priced hotel just a short block from the central train station. Rooms are small, but clean and quiet. Staff is helpful. Breakfast is included and large selection of good quality food - no need to leave hungry. Only minor complaint is hauling luggage up and down stairs to short-term storage ages.

"Fantastic central location"
Cheungster, 10 Juin 2016

Hotel is in a quiet side street very close to Nyhavn. The canal is at the bottom of the street. The metro stop is 5 minutes away. You can walk to all the main sites easily. We loved the location. Our room was very quiet as it faced inner courtyard. Bed was comfy and rooms were decent size. There is no air con in these rooms and we found the rooms very warm after a day out. This was in May. Breakfast was included which was very great. There was a good selection and it certainly filled us up. There are lockers in reception that can be used to store luggage. We liked this as it meant our bags were secured and we could go back and get them without having to ask anyone. Definitely worth staying here if you want to be central but have a quiet area.

"just 3 min walk from the station great service clean rooms"
mnaor, 09 Juin 2016

I spent one night, got a nice clean room on the 5th floor. It is a very good hotel for business. Breakfast is rich, with verity of cheese meet etc. It is very close to the station and 15min to the airport. Charming hotel and team

"One night hotel stay before a Baltic cruise."
London_Ontario_Kevin, 06 Juin 2016

I really liked this hotel. It was conveniently located only five minutes walk from the Nyhavn area, and was located on a relatively quiet side street. The rooms, although small by North American standards offered all we needed. A comfy double bed, windows that opened on to the street below, and a much needed fan (as it was quite warm, and the rooms are not air conditioned). The hotel seems to be fairly modern, and the lobby area has some very modern decor. Breakfast was included in the price, and had plenty of variety (meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, bacon, pastries, etc.). The staff were all very good, very personable.

"A+ for location and everything else."
Travlerfl1, 05 Juin 2016

Booked a superior double 8 months in advance and was upgraded on arrival. Paid about $269 total room cost. Very nice room on top floor facing courtyard. Quiet and clean. Spent one night prior to cruise. This hotel offers the most complete breakfast (included) with so many choices, on a self serve basis, that we experienced travelers have ever enjoyed. Fresh, clean and spotless dining area. Taxi from airport to hotel $41 and from hotel to ship $40. Easy walk to Nyhaven and other areas. Not much more to add that others have not written. Yes, everything is expensive in Copenhagen. For example: At Holberg #19, a small nothing special light meal restaurant one block off of Nyhaven Canal the two of us each enjoyed a Quesadea and glass of low priced wine each for $51. We were satisfied and yes the wine was nice. I hope this information will assist you in planning your Copenhagen visit.

"Great Location "
Tamedscot, 01 Juin 2016

Love staying here when in Copenhagen , the location is fantastic with only a 5 minute walk to Ny Havn and slightly longer to the long walking street, parking at the hotel is also " fairly" easy to find but of course expensive ! The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are nice , but if your visiting in the summer they can be very hot as there is no air conditioning so ask for a room on the back of the hotel so you can open the windows and there will not be so much street noise. Breakfast is also worth getting up for with a great array of both hot & cold choices .

"Lovely, Modern Danish Hotel"
Sally B, 01 Juin 2016

We stayed at this well located hotel for 2 nights after a cruise. The staff was extra helpful and friendly, and held our bags as we arrived very early in the day. Simple, but elegant rooms - we had one with A/C which was nice - and big bathroom. We enjoyed the extensive breakfast, and so nice to have it included in the room price. We had them do some laundry for us, which was very expensive, but better than locating a laundromat. Their WiFi was free and very fast. We rented bikes from the hotel, so had them for an entire day. Biked to Christiania, to Rosenborg Castle and Gardens, and all around the Harbor. Again, staff couldn't have been more helpful - even translated an email about the train that came to me in Swedish! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Clean and Convenient Place to stay"
Rio E, 28 Mai 2016

Stayed here at the end of our trip, checked in really early since we came from a cruise and before I ask, the friendly receptionist offered to hold our bags for us since our room was not ready yet while we explore the city. The lobby is very clean and newly updated, the seating area is very comfy and they have a little bar area with seats where I keep my two crazy kids away from the other hotel guests. The rooms are big and very comfortable, they provided us with a queen and two single beds so my 5 year old finally had her own space after bunking with her sister for 2 weeks on a boat. The bathrooms are well appointed, very spacious, clean and modern with good water pressure. Over all a very happy stay, if I have to be picky, I would say the A/C was not up to task to cool the room at the middle of the day, The hotel is in a nice location, next to the water and 2 blocks away from Nyhaven. This is the area that we wanted to explore and the hotel provided us with that adventure. Also, when you turn left, two blocks away is a station for the hop on/hop off bus. If you turn right two blocks water side is a bike rental place. It is a very good way to explore the city, cheap too. Will be coming back to this hotel as soon as possible, Best Western in the US cannot compare and should match the quality of this hotel. Thank you for a nice stay.

"Great location"
Jan M, 22 Mai 2016

Lovely hotel in a great location . Staff very friendly and helpful . Great buffet style breakfast . Not quite enough teabags/coffee/creamers in the room but this is only a small quibble . Breakfast starts at 7.00 am so if you want a really nice cup of coffee early on pop down and take one back to your room . Well worth hiring one of the hotels bikes and get yourself going in this amazing city -really easy to find your way around with the bike lanes . Relax doing a bit of people watching in the bars and restaurants along Nyhavn or take a canal cruise - relaxing and informative . Tivoli is worth a visit and also Christiana . Christiana is very laid back and peaceful . We enjoyed walking and cycling around the most - great way to see more . Paper Island is chilled too - housing an array of street food and lovely to sit outside with a drink . To get to the hotel we got the Metro from the airport - really easy and then the hotel was within walking distance.

"Good for small people"
bsdcusa, 21 Mai 2016

I booked a room for one person but requested a king size bed, as I am quite tall. The hotel didn't bother to respond and I found myself in tiny room with a small bed that can barely hold one person. If you move, you roll out of the bed. The bed is right next to the wall and you can hear the next door neighbor snoring. The shower is about the smallest size I have ever seen. It is impossible to move in the shower without hitting the nicely designed single tab, so don't be surprised with sudden changes in water temperature. Overall, very disappointing place. It's only advantage is its location.

"Great Place to Stay"
Kim C, 20 Mai 2016

Centrally located. Within 20 min walking distance of many sites in the area as well as many restaurants, cafes and bars. The staff here is very knowledgeable and professional. They have Wi-Fi and a terrific breakfast buffet. We stayed for three nights. The shower stalls may be a bit small in a couple rooms.

"Great place to stay when in Copenhagen, Denmark!"
swoosh2, 20 Mai 2016

This place was conveniently located - - a short distance from the water, where river cruise boats take tourists to "see the sights", and it's not far from Christiania - - a unique "Free Town" community that takes you back to the hippie days during the 60's. The clerks were very helpful helping us navigate with maps they gave us, and the lobby was a tranquil place to catch up on wi-fi needs - - with a bar available for the asking. Breakfast was delightful with fresh squeezed orange/carrot juice, and many other delightful choices for brunch. You won't find a better value, nor a nicer staff than what we found at the Best Western Hotel City!

"Nice and quiet hotel within walking distance of all Copenhagen."
Guy H, 18 Mai 2016

This is the perfect hotel when you are visiting Copenhagen. It is in a quiet street, yet within walking distance to all the exiting places this wonderful city has to offer. Nyhavn is almost around the corner. Staff is very helpful and the tips they give are most accurate. As a Best Western Platinum member, the hotel allowed us an upgraded room which was highly appreciated. Breakfast was plenty, healthy, and most of all tasty! Our bathroom was a bit tiny, but all you needed was there, so this is more an observation than a complaint. Needless to say we had a very pleasant stay there!

"Copenhagen is a wonderful city to spend time in.Lots to see, friendly, helpful locals. 5 days were not enough."
mishj, 18 Mai 2016

My 3rd floor single (superior) room was spotless, and of adequate size. Breakfast each morning was excellent, and provided plenty of choice. The helpful and pleasant staff on the front desk, were another plus I did find the 2 small square pillows on my bed rather strange, and not particularly comfortable. A case of being used to a lifetime of using our large, rectangular, well filled ones I guess.

"Good location, average room"
emskii_m, 17 Mai 2016

I stayed in a single room at the Best Western Hotel City for 2 nights at the end of April. Overall, the hotel was a little on the pricey side, but in keeping with what you'd expect from a 3* hotel. Positives: Excellent location, within a 5 minute walk from Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv Metro Station (15 minutes direct line to Copenhagen Airport), and Magasin Du Nord shopping mall, which has a food department in the basement . Strøget, the pedestrian shopping street, is located within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was included in the price. The staff were pleasant and professional. Clean room equipped with large TV and coffee/tea facilities. Negatives: Small bathroom with an unpleasant smell coming from the shower. The sink has a shelf directly over it, which makes it very difficult to wash your face. Small duvet and pillow. No in-room safe.

"Good central location"
Elladog15, 11 Mai 2016

This is a great hotel for those that want to explore Copenhagen. It is only a 3?? but it is so much better than its rating. Very clean, great staff on the front desk and a fabulous breakfast. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. You would be mad to stay anywhere else.

"Great place to stay for our first visit to Copenhagen"
grarus, 04 Mai 2016

Situated in a quiet street this hotel is well equipped with a good reception area on entry with very pleasant and helpful staff, who were able to answer all our questions. Our room on the first floor was clean, with everything you would want for a short stay, including tea and coffee making equipment. After tripping once we learned quickly to watch the small steps up out of the room into the corridor and also into the bathroom. Decent nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water and a good shower. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent choice of drinks and food and it was easy to find a table for two in the large busy dining room; again pleasant staff and the tables were cleared quickly. We used the reception staff each morning to discuss and seek advice on our travel plan and locations, which we found them happy to provide. On our last morning we checked out and left our cases for a short while at reception until we returned and then walked the 5 minute journey to the nearby Metro station which provided a direct line for the 15 minute trip to the airport. The hotel provides easy access to the city center for a great selection of shops and restaurants and also canal boat tours. Certainly happy to recommend and would happily return.

"Great breakfast great location. Very convenient"
jowarrior, 03 Mai 2016

Awesome place to stay. Quiet but yet near to all the must see tourist places. Breakfast was fantastic. Near to metro which is direct from Airport. Would definitely stay here again. There is a nice running route near hotel to New Canals.

"Ideal for a long weekend stay"
Derek D, 29 Avril 2016

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Hotel City in Copenhagen for a long weekend break. The hotel is situated in a quiet street only five minutes walk from Kongens Nytorv metro station, which itself is only a 14 minute journey on a direct line from Copenhagen Airport. It is well placed for access to Nyhavn with its canal tours and restaurants and Stroget, with its traffic-free shopping district. Despite the unassuming frontage, the hotel interior was warm and welcoming. Beyond the reception area, there is a good-sized dining area, with a small bar off to the side. Check-in was simple and straighforward and we were given a nice quiet room as requested in our online booking. The room was a good size and of a classic Danish design, with ensuite bathroom, table, chairs, tea making facilities and a wall mounted TV which provided many English language channels. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of cereals, hot and cold dishes, fresh juices, tea and coffee. It was nice to be able to try Danish specialities like local cheeses, pickles and traditional rye bread. The Danish pastries are really worth a try. Although the hotel appeared to be well occupied, there were no problems finding a table. All of the reception and dining room staff were pleasant and helpful, and there were no language problems whatsoever. After check out, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel for the remainder of the day, as we had an evening flight. This was our first experience of Best Western, but we would be very pleased to book with them again.

"Good stay"
PinedaP, 25 Avril 2016

Convenient location, very quiet, yet a few minutes from the crowd. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast, included in the room price. Helpful, friendly staff, ready to assist with everything. I would recommend to all.

"Great breakfast, great location!"
mimibingley, 20 Avril 2016

Room was good, beds rather narrow, but spotless. Having stayed in many Best Western hotels (especially in Bialystok, Eastern Poland where we stay very regularly) our stay at Hotel City was marred by the very rude and unprofessional receptionist Alexandra who would not provide extra teabags for our room, and when i asked for lemon/and/or cucumber with my Henrick's gin - she retorted- "no lemon, this is a bar"!!Yes, I know its a bar, thats why i would like lemon with my gin!!I then proceeded to order a bottle of wine for my friend and I, which she couldnt open, but had to pester a male guest to help with. She was very unfriendly and i was outraged when she refused to give us a couple of tea bags, so i went to the room and then exchanged some coffee sachets for tea bags!Sounds rather petty but she was very rude to us and i asked for her name, and intend to make a formal complaint to her manager., Claus Hegelund Bruun. The buffet breakfast is superb, and the rest of the staff are lovely. Alexandra needs to undergo some Customer Relations and Interpersonal skills training, as we are paying for a service, the standards of which she fails to meet.10 minutes to the metro right into the airport and handy for the sights and sounds of beautiful Copenhagen.Fabulous city with some super vintage shops!

"Lovely! Wish we could have stayed longer!"
bonshui, 15 Avril 2016

Sadly we only had a stopover in Copenhagen but we'll definitely stay here if we're ever back. It was really smart, comfy and clean. Service was excellent - special shout out to Oliver, the friendly overnight receptionist who welcomed us by name when we arrived very late at night. Fantastic location - only a few minutes from the Kongens Nytorv metro station [which is dead easy to reach from the airport]. Breakfast was incredible - a massive buffet of every imaginable hot and cold breakfast item [and some left-field offerings - humous for breakfast? Well, why not...] Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

"Great Hotel in the heart of Copenhagen"
t0nygill101, 15 Avril 2016

My wife and I stayed at this Best Western hotel for a long weekend (March 16). Room was a little bit small but it didn`t detract from our stay, Lovely comfortable bed, flat screen tv with a good selection of English channels, clean bathroom and constant hot water with underfloor heating. There was a bar and you could help yourself to as much ice as you wanted if you were having a drink in your room before going out. Don`t know why they don`t have a mini-fridge in the room as its always nice to be able to keep water/drinks cool. Excellent location and just round the corner from the Kongens Nytorv Metro which has a fast direct link to Copenhagen airport. Hotel was very central to the very chic district of Nyhavn, beautiful canal and cafe culture - though drinks are much more expensive than in the UK. We loved Copenhagen, very clean and smart city, beautiful architecture and the Danes are super-friendly! Can`t believe that they`re descended from the Vikings! Went over the bridge to Sweden (Malmo) by bus - incredible bridge and phenomenal engineering. Did all the tourist things like visit the Little Mermaid, Tivoli Gardens, Malmo and had a thoroughly great time. Breakfast at the hotel was perfectly edible but for the finest bacon producing nation on the planet, I was a tad disappointed with the tiny square shaped (salty) pieces of bacon served. A big thank you to the hotel reception staff: Michaela and Alexandra who were super-friendly, informative about Copenhagen, and very helpful and professional - their knowledge added to our stay. I would very much recommend staying at the Best Western Hotel we had a great time there in their wonderful city.

"In agreement"
Gordon J, 15 Avril 2016

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel City for three nights and are in agreement with the favourable comments from previous reviews. Ideally located within walking distance of Copenhagen's places of interest, excellent breakfasts and delightful staff. Our request for a quiet room was met. It was quite small but perfectly adequate. Well designed and spotlessly clean. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for anyone on a short break in Copenhagen.

"Location, location, location..."
Citizens, 14 Avril 2016

We have stayed here many times over twenty years, both for work and pleasure. The location in Copenhagen is perfect - walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bars, transit and tourist sites. Breakfast is very good. Rooms on the courtyard can be noisy. Avoid the basement rooms. Only negative is getting to airport for early morning flights.

"Perfect stay "
AlmaVeale, 13 Avril 2016

My sister and I stayed in the Best Western Hotel City for a long weekend at the beginning of April. Location is perfect, close to metro, Nyhavn and main shopping street. The hotel itself is quite modern. We had read reviews about the hotel rooms being small but it was perfect for us and extremely clean. Breakfast each morning was great with cereal, pastries, hot food, meats, cheeses etc. we were spoiled for choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Perfect hotel in a wonderful city.

"An excellent stay."
Jonkar, 07 Avril 2016

Just back from 4 nights at this hotel. It deserves all it's great reviews. It was spotlessly clean & breakfast was excellent. Coffee & tea making in all rooms though I was pleased I'd taken my own tea bags as they only leave 2 Earl Grey per day & I had to ask for extra creamers & sugars each day. Apart from that we had no complaints at all. It's in a really good position with loads of eating places at Nyhavn nearby - we had good meals in Cap Horn & also Heering. We did 'free' walking tour (gave guide 150kk but noticed some people gave nothing) & 'Netto' boat tour(cheaper than main one although much the same). We took train to Louisiana Art Gallery - ok if you're really into modern art but we didn't stay long! we got back on train & carried on to the lovely town of Helsingor. The city is very easy to get around, we walked miles. Would like to return but maybe in the summer next time.

"Comfortable, quiet hotel"
Bish2014, 02 Avril 2016

Lovely hotel. We had a family room with lots of space. Big bathroom. Double bed and two singles for the kids. Great quiet location, even though it was very close to the sites! Fabulous breakfast. Very clean. 1 minute walk from the water, along with dock-side trampolines!

"Excellent location, we stayed 4 nights"
Victoria M, 26 Mars 2016

We planned to do art museums, galleries and a canal trip, all achieved. Staff very helpful. Bedroom quiet and comfortable on inner courtyard. Small shower room with shower curtain. Big Danish chairs in bedroom. Buffet breakfast up to a good standard but no fish dish. Great Italian restaurant 220 paces away called Tony's.

"Great hotel and location!"
Lily B, 23 Mars 2016

We stayed at the Best Western City Hotel in Copenhagen following our cruise in Aug.2015. We arrived by taxi from the cruise ship terminal and checked in right away. The room had 2 single beds and flat screen TV. There were large windows opening onto the street and we could see the water from our room. Located on a side street it is fairly quiet for a city hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. We walked to downtown Copenhagen for shopping and lunch. It was so nice to be within walking distance to the main core of the city. We walked to the Norhavn area with all the restaurants and outdoor patios. The bathroom was very nice and everything was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay, the only thing we didn't expect was that there was no air conditioning so we had to leave the windows open and use the tabletop fan. We were so tired from walking that it didn't matter and the air cooled off nicely for sleeping. Breakfast in the morning was provided to guests and it was really good. A nice assortment of pastries, meats and cheeses to compliment the usual eggs, toast, bacon, juice etc. We will definitely return to this hotel.

"Great Breakfast"
Liz984, 16 Mars 2016

Stayed here for 2 nights in January. We had 2 twin rooms. The room itself was smaller than expected however it was very clean and adequate for our stay. The staff are very friendly and for each room you receive a hotel postcard which the hotel send and post it anywhere in the world for you free of charge. The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast, probably the best food I had during my whole stay in Copenhagan. I would recommend it.

"Excellent service and location"
tommiviitala, 14 Mars 2016

If you're looking an hotel near city center (and most of the typical "must to see" -places), this is the hotel for you. Excellent service, clean rooms and breakfast was delicious (fresh fruits and bakery, etc.).

"Just how a good hotel should be"
Moira L, 13 Mars 2016

I stayed in Best Western City in Copenhagen in March and loved it. I was given a nice double bedroom and I must say that being a fussy person, I just cannot fault this place. It is spotless, the service is superb and breakfast yummy. Location is in a quiet street close to most attractions. Well done.

"Lovely staff and excellent location"
Irene_85, 07 Mars 2016

I loved pretty much everything in this hotel. The location, which was the main reason why I chose it, was perfect: easily accessible in a few minutes from Kongens Nytorv metro station (direct line from the airport), 5 minutes walking from Nyhaven and at walking distance from several tourist spots, such as Amalienborg and the Marble Church (10 minutes) and Churchill Park and the Mermaid (20 minutes). International breakfast buffet was very good and every single staff member was very kind and helpful. I requested a room with twin beds and I was given room 418 at 4th floor, which was spacious and quiet, with 2 extremely comfortable beds. The only thing that could be done to improve rooms could be to add minibars. I'll definitely book here again for my next stay in Copenhagen.

"Midweek City Break"
BACNYorkshire, 06 Mars 2016

The staff are all friendly and helpful allowing us to check in early and to depart an hour later. Comfortable beds. Warm room with good aircon/heater. Deluxe room to get a bath which is on 5th floor. Nice toiletries and safe and hairdryer. Great plentiful breakfast. Tea/coffee in room. Large double bed with individual duvets. Good location. Free WiFi. Provided umbrellas when raining nice touch.

"Comfortable, small hotel in central Copenhagen"
lns0706, 05 Mars 2016

I booked a single superior room here in January. The room was surprisingly spacious, with a double bed and represented excellent value for central Copenhagen (just a 2 minute walk to Nyhavn). I was traveling alone but a couple on a budget could easily share. Breakfast included an excellent selection and was available very early. Would happily stay here again if I return to Copenhagen.

"Had to cancel hotel despite purchasing the hotel when cancellation was not possible."
SeasideStan, 03 Mars 2016

I knew after I purchased online that the room could not be cancelled. Guess I wasn't expecting to cancel but had to because of a death in the family. I wrote the hotel to explain but they said sorry for your loss but too bad.

"Really good"
Harry A, 29 Février 2016

Very pleasant hotel within easy walking distance of all Copenhagen's sights and attractions. Comfortable but not overlarge rooms, first class buffet breakfast. all in all highly recommended. Just round the corner is Nyhavn so plenty of good places to eat in the evening.

"Good Location"
BrightcutOne, 27 Février 2016

Well located, comfortable and friendly 3 star hotel. Direct train to/from the airport, and 5 mins from the station/end of the pedestrian street. This is a nice comfortable bed, perfect for a weekend break. Perhaps the room is a bit compact and bathroom a little dated. Good choice for included breakfast and good free wifi and PC's and printer for guest use in the lobby.

"Good hotel in excellent location"
KGLeeds, 23 Février 2016

This hotel is very easy to reach from the airport as it is only 5 minutes walk from the metro at Kongens Nytorv. Although we arrived early, the friendly staff at reception found us a room that was ready, so that we could check in. The room was pleasant and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a good supply of tea and coffee. Our room was right next to the lift but we did not have any problems with noise at night. The breakfast was excellent and there were always plenty of tables. The location is perfect-a few steps from the water front, with a pleasant stroll to Nyhavn or two streets from the metro with easy access to all attractions.

"Nice hotel, excellent location"
Snorkfroken, 21 Février 2016

We spent an extended weekend in Copenhagen and choose this hotel due to a combination of reasonable price and suitable location. The location was excellent - a lot of restaurants to in the neighborhood and easy to access the boat to the opera house. The staff was very friendly and living at the hotel was easy. The breakfast was good and sufficient. The only thing rating this from excellent to very good was the noise from the street. Although the hotel isn't situated by any main street, the people passing by during the weekend were quite loud. Otherwise the room was both quiet and comfortable.

"Great centrally located hotel "
Pantomimecat, 21 Février 2016

We stayed here for 3 nights. Upgraded to a top floor room for an extra 20kr a night. Really quiet and peaceful. Spacious light filled room. Unfortunately no bath tub and shower was small. Breakfast was very good. Hotel very clean and staff were friendly and professional. Will definitely stay again when next week visit.

"Good location In Copenhagen"
Mortil2unger, 19 Février 2016

Stayed here many times on business trips ti Copenhagen. Here you will always meget Great staff, have good breakfast and stat at a Great location! Rooms are quite old, but comfortable! Very close to Nyhavn, Amalienborg, Det kongelige teater and Magasin.

"Comfy bed and great breakfast"
Vicky M, 16 Février 2016

The bed in our room was comfortable and the shower was great, nice and hot with a good pressure (the controls were in an awkward place though and you had to be careful not to knock into it and turn the temperature up!). The breakfast is included and there was a big range of food available, all very tasty! The staff were always friendly and helpful too. They ask you to leave your key with them when you go out which has its pros and cons. The hotel is in a good location, just a short walk from the metro and easy to find from the airport.

"Great Loccation"
FoodieMusafir, 14 Février 2016

This is a typical no frills clean, quite property. Location is 10-15 minute's walk from the shopping complex. My room was clean and spacious, though the toilets with their white tiles give a look of bygone era. Breakfast is basic and no great shakes. We got the property at a good price, hence solved our need

"Perfect location"
AllyMcP8, 11 Février 2016

Stayed here with my 7 year old daughter in July 2015. Close to Metro stop. Around the corner from Nyhavn and within walking distance of everything. Clean, small but adequate room. Brilliant breakfast selection with lovely atmosphere. Also availed of the Copenhagen card so could get from airport to hotel for no additional cost. Walked to Little Mermaid, Canal for boat tour, Carlsberg Glypoteket Museum and even as far as Tivoli from hotel - and was not too far for a 7 year old! Loved the additional touch of a postcard is given to you, you write and they post it! Excellent WIFI. Great hotel in amazing Copenhagen!

"Would stay again!"
Christinejunerei, 09 Février 2016

Would recommend. Good location, clean well appointed room And best very helpful staff. One woman called her Mother to locate a yarn store for me. Decent jazz right around the corner. Bicycles available at Hotel.

"The Annual Pilgrimage "
nikins, 08 Février 2016

I travel through Copenhagen each year for work and have stayed in quite a number of small hotels through the city. I have chosen to come back to this hotel 3 years in a row now and there are a few simple reasons why: 1. The staff are friendly, especially Nete at the front desk. 2. The breakfast selection is always really nice and runs from 0800 which is great when you are jet lagged. 3. It's a very short walk from the metro stop so I can get there for 36dkk from the airport 4. Walking distance from strøget, the royal palace etc

"Bra läge, bra service, bra frukost"
Towe V, 03 Février 2016

The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the city, just 5 minutes walk to Kongens Nytorv or Nyhavn. You can rent bikes for a small amount (they even have child seats or Christiania bikes) and the wifi is free of charge. The staff was so service minded and nice, the breakfast was small but very tasty (instead of just big and not so good they focused on having good products). The bathroom was a bit small, but everything was clean and with a room towards the yard it was also quiet at night. It is a very calm street, so it is probably quiet on the street side too. We had an excellent time at this hotel and can really recommend it to others.

"Disappointed "
digger2, 01 Février 2016

As other reviews have noted the location is quite good near the shops & the harbour & the hotel is not bad design wise, not great but average. However it was a surprise to arrive after a long flight at 9:39pm on a very cold & more notably windy evening to find this hotel had no room service or a restaurant at all. My only option was to go hungry till morning or as the reception informed me to walk back to the station & get McDonald's, so that's what I had to do. There were a couple of other restaurants near by but they where very expensive & closing. Also note the entrance to the hotel is a set of steps & no access for disabled. I was surprised that the Danes would allow this. The Business level bedroom was average, the bed ok. Breakfast quite good but nothing as good as others I've stayed in over the years in Copenhagen.

"Central and affordable"
trippybug, 28 Janvier 2016

The hotel was lovely, central and the breakfast was very good too! The room was cosy and warm, with classic Danish furniture. We would've preferred a bath but cannot really complain about the shower either. The toiletries were of very good quality, by Rituals, so it's fair to say we were pleasantly surprised!) The breakfast was plentiful and we had a lot of choice (from scrambled eggs and toast, charcuterie, cheeses to delicious fresh bread and pastries, fresh fruits, yoghurt, various teas and real orange juice - not from concentrate). Having said all that I think you've got there a good enough reason to stay at this hotel as there's nothing worse than a bad breakfast!?? I would recommend this hotel for offering good value for money in a very expensive City!

"Great Location"
jbrett1, 23 Janvier 2016

This hotel is not far from the shopping district as well as to many wonderful restaurants. The rooms are new and very clean. The staff was well informed and provided us with good directions to restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was of good quality, presented in an appealing way and there was plenty for all. Will definitely return.

"nice hotel nice location"
Okan E, 23 Janvier 2016

nice hotel at the nice location, if you have car, parking is problem you have to find a space around and pay at auto machine. if you make payments with credit card don't forget you will pay commision . hotel and breakfast is nice and if I go again I stay at same hotel.

"Similar to a hostel!"
MissyFoodLover, 23 Janvier 2016

I am slightly torn writing this review. On one hand the location could not be better. Everything seems to be within walking distance from the hotel. Staff are welcoming and warm. Breakfast is decent. However, the room was a massive let down. We were a few people all staying in single rooms and the photos on the site do not represent reality. The room was the tiniest room I have ever stayed in. Just a small single bed and a little bedside table with a glass cover that kept falling off and could essentially be quite dangerous. There was a draft from the window (in all of the rooms) and trust me this is not pleasant when visiting Copenhagen in the winter! The room was lit up by the light from the hallway during the night which made it difficult to sleep too. Also, the walls are extremely thin; not nice if your neighbours are noisy. All in all the experience reminded me of staying in a hostel. If you are just looking for a bed and don't care about anything else, then this could do it for you.

"Great stay"
Orlaith D, 21 Janvier 2016

The location of the hotel was excellent. We checked in late to the hotel on a Friday and the staff were very helpful with directions and late night restaurants. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is really close to the train station and the main square and attractions of the city. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious lots of fresh fruit and hot food. I loved this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Copenhagen.

"Perfect Location!"
Mkueter, 16 Janvier 2016

Nice hotel, centrally located. Very close to Nyhaven. Breakfast was delicious with a decent selection. Hotel staff were helpful, They even gave my eight month old son a teddy be a during breakfast and we're very quick to get us a high chair. Beds were comfortable and my son's travel cot was of good quality. Definitely would stay here again!

"This is the one."
Viperman8, 15 Janvier 2016

Glad we did a little research and read a few revues before staying here. It's difficult to add anything to that which others have written, but would certainly confirm opinions of most. We arrived by metro from the airport which is a very straightforward process costing 36 DK per person. Hotel is a 5 minute walk away in a central location though still very quiet in the evening. Close to all tourist attractions and restaurants. Staff at hotel so friendly and helpful, all speaking perfect English as does everyone in this city (Its embarrassing) . I cannot recommend this place enough and if you're there on a short city break would thoroughly recommend the free walking tours which really help you get your bearings. Hotel also has a few bikes if you fancy something different, though this city is very walkable. If all the above is not enough to convince you then just go for the breakfasts !

"Good hotel and great location "
MickScott1965, 13 Janvier 2016

Very nice hotel and only a 10 minute walk from Nyhavn and from the metro station. Very friendly and efficient staff. Room was small, but cosy and spotless. Big flatscreen tv with plenty of programmes in English. Could do better with provisions in room as we had to call down for milk and coffee a couple of times. Breakfast was very good with a full buffet. Hot food was a little cold in one occasion. We definitely recommend the hotel.

"great location"
teapot f, 13 Janvier 2016

The location is perfect and just a 5 minute walk from the metro.Great service late check out and early check in was no problem. My wife loved the breakfast. Rooms were well celaned Would recommend this hotel to everybody.

"Study Abroad Trip"
Juliette B, 08 Janvier 2016

We stayed on the 2nd and 4th floor for both visits and each visit we had facing the street. was extremely nosily around 2 am - 3 am but i ignored it due to the fact that i am not familiar with the night life in the area. the room and service was excellent and was even offered unlimited amounts of hot cocoa to go while exploring copenhagen at night! will stay again if in the area!

"Lovely Hotel in Fantastic Location"

This was a wonderful hotel in Copenhagen right beside Nyhavn and 3 minute walk from metro direct from the airport. Fantastic service from friendly reception staff. Always on hand to answer questions and make recommendations. Breakfast was lovely and well stocked. We had two rooms for a family of four adults. Rooms were clean and well equipped. The twin room shower was a slightly odd shape triangle which made it a little crampt but still perfectly serviceable. Beds were super comfy and cosy which was needed after a cold walk round København. Would recommend again

"great accommodation and best breakfast ever"
fringipane, 29 Décembre 2015

This is one of the best hotels where I've stayed so far. It's very close to the underground wich train will bring you to the airport in 15 minutes. The underground is an excellent service in Copenhagen with wait no more than 3 minutes and working 24 hours. Excellent location, close to the canal, restaurants and shops, at the same time it's in a quiet location - good night sleep. I would describe the hotel as trendy, with pictures of different jazz musicians in the room and around the hotel - I love jazz. I read some people complainings for the small size of their rooms, I think this depends on the season you travel. I was there in December, the city was quiet, the hotel was quiet. I had reserved a single room, I was upgraded to a double room, and with bath instead of shower. The room was spacious, very comfortable. Breakfast is buffet, absolutely delicious. The best I've ever had in a hotel so far. In particular I loved their baked tomatoes. Staff is very professional and attentive. It rained for two days while I was there, they borrow umbrellas with no charge. They rent bicycles as well if you're interested, the bikes are just outside the hotel. They charge 125 kr for a day. Definitely this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed, and if I think that all Best Westerns are like this one, I'm starting considering booking only with them. Definitely, I'd go back if I return to Copenhagen.

"Perfect base"
Alison H, 24 Décembre 2015

Four day break to the Christmas markets. Mainly food stalls rather than Christmas gifts. Location of the hotel is perfect for walking everywhere. Only used the metro to and from the airport which was great value at about £3.60 one way. For £10 return we travelled on the bus to Sweden across the Oresund Bridge. Pleasant day out.............don't forget to change some Danish Krone into Swedish Krona. The Best Western Hotel City was the perfect base for us to explore the city of Copenhagen. The breakfast was ample and the breakfast staff were very attentive and friendly.

"A very nice and wel designed hotel a few blocks from Nyhavn and close to Magasin"
thomasgA5416FE, 15 Décembre 2015

Very nice style of the hotel. Very good breakfast with a typical Danish touche. Very nice staaf. The hotel is good situated close to the beautiful Nyhavn, ströget and the big department store Magasin. Very nice design inside but not overdone. Extremely clean and nice rooms

"A good choice"
Vinetou, 09 Décembre 2015

My second visit to City hotel. Be honest, I prefer hotels closer to Nyhavn, but I have a very limited time and therefore decided for the place I already know. This time I took a double bed room while knowing that a single bed room is really small. A good decision. A very rational choice, 5 minutes from the Kongens Nytorv metro station. Professional staff, a clean room, free wi-fi. On top a good breakfast. All this for a normal price within expected limits.

"Great hotel for a weekend trip to Copenhagen"
John T, 23 Novembre 2015

Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel about 5 minutes walk from the main shopping area and centre of Copenhagen. "Only" a 3 star rating but good clean room, shower, TV and with coffee/tea in the room. Excellent breakfast and very efficient service. Would stay here again. Not cheap but that's Copenhagen.

"Superb stopover in Copenhagen"
Michael L, 21 Novembre 2015

My wife and I have stayed in hotels around the world.Rarely does a hotel punch above i'ts star rating, however the City Hotel as a three star hotel is fantastic value!.The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, the location is central and really convenient for the main shops and Metro. In addition the breakfast was outstanding and set us up for the day's endeavours. We will certainly return.

"Super hotel. With the absolut best location"
Danes55, 12 Novembre 2015

Hotel 5 min walk from the Metro and Kgs Nytorv, also 5 minuts to Nyhavn. It is a small but very good hotel, warm welcome in the reception and the whole staff is so proffesional and at the same time smilling and helpfull. The hotel furniture is all in designer quality and very good style. Rooms are small but very clean and modern, bathroom Very small ! A nice lotle Bar, but no restaurant apart from breakfast. Had a very good nigths sleep with out any noice from trafic. Breakfast is absolutely fantastik with all you could ask for in hot and cold, fruit and bread and the staff had every thing under control and made sure that absolutely nothing was empty at all. Check out easy and fast. We can only recomend this Hotel very highly for both business and tourist and will for sure be back again.

"Great location"
lia_b, 10 Novembre 2015

The location was perfect as it was walking distance from Nyhvan and also Tivoli. Both places we aimed to visit during our weekend stay. It was an easy stroll to the waterfront. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Staff was friendly. Rooms are small (European style) but comfortable. Windows open so it was good on one day when it got too warm. I only wish they had an inroom safe to store passports and ipads. There were bicycles outside for guest use. We were tempted but did not try. Maybe next time. Very nice stay.

"Very good location"
Franckyy, 04 Novembre 2015

The hotel is located right in the city center. It is at the level of every Best Western, meaning clean and nicely furnished. Although the room was not that big, it was conveniently arranged. The staff was also very helpful.

"Great location. Tired rooms. Great Breakfast"
PogoStickPaul, 28 Octobre 2015

It's a business/ short stay hotel, it is in a good location, being a few minutes from the train station, trams, and a million shops, granted it's rooms are dated, the feel of the place feels tired, however the breakfast is great, the service is good, and the staff are friendly, if they could clean the fish tank in reception though, poor fish. Overall, for CPH this hotel is average to good. I would stay again.

"Terrific location, great breakfast, helpful staff"
Wanderlust777, 18 Octobre 2015

Hotels in Copenhagen are way too expensive, but at least this Best Western offers a convenient location within easy walking distance of key sights and a lavish spread of food at the breakfast buffet served in a pleasant dining area. Our room and bathroom were small, as is typical in Europe, but comfortably furnished. Most praise goes to the exceeding hospitable and helpful staff. We arrived late, after flight delays and missed connections, to find that TSA had destroyed the lock on one of our suitcases, making it unopenable. But no problem -- the lovely and unflappable lady at the front desk provided some tools to cut the lock off! After that unpromising start, we had a great stay at the Best Western Hotel City.

"Comfortable and Perfectly Location"
David S, 17 Octobre 2015

This is a very nice hotel that is a 2 minute walk to the Nyhavn and other great spots, shops and restaurants. Friendly staff, quality rooms at a good value and helpful staff. I recommend getting breakfast included with your stay.

"Good hotel located in city centre"
Abhishek K, 17 Octobre 2015

This is a decent hotel and the location is perfect. We paid for the superior double room which was great but not as big as we expected. The shower was tiny. The regular rooms are even smaller. The room as such was well equipped but would have liked to have a bar fridge. The breakfast was great and so was the wifi..All in all a good hotel and easily accessible to almost most attractions in Copenhagen

"Great location but very expensive and a little dated"
snow_winky, 15 Octobre 2015

This Best Western is very well located. It is about 5 minutes walk to the Nyhavn area - which is bustling with restaurants and is a busy hub of tourists. The metro is also a short walk away, making it very easy to travel from/to Copenhagen Airport. The breakfast was included in the price, and had a good selection - covering hot food items (scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages, bacon, soft boiled eggs), pastries, different type of breads, fruits, cheeses and yoghurt. Most items were good quality - some better than others, but at least there is a good selection. Rooms are fair sized - it has a small desk along the window where there is a kettle / instant coffee/ tea facilities. There's no mini fridge, but you can ask for ice from the bar downstairs at any time. Plenty of walking space around the bed, so it's a comfortable size. The bathroom is small - just enough space for the shower, toilet and small sink. The rooms and corridors have been updated with trendy looking black and white jazz and design pictures, but it really is just covering a dated looking hotel. Don't be fooled by the photos of the breakfast area, reception area downstairs and some of the updated room photos... you can still tell it's a little tired looking underneath. Price wise, this hotel is extremely expensive, though it could be due to a Cultural Festival occurring the weeekend we were there.

"Good Location, moderate price, good choice"
RdSxfn, 13 Octobre 2015

Copenhagen was heavily booked for the weekend we were visiting, and a lot of the choices I reviewed had some gross negatives (for me, anyway) including old elevators, construction noise, and so on. I read a lot of Trip Advisor reviews and chose City Hotel and I am glad I did. It served its purpose. It is not plush, but it is very clean and comfortable, in a good location, and the people working there were very nice and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. The bathroom is small, yes, but my main complaint is the towels - too few of them, and they are too thin. Could definitely use an upgrade and improvement there. It was very cool when we were visiting so no air conditioning was needed but if we were traveling in the summer the lack of A/C would be one of the "gross negatives" I was mentioning before and would cause me to bypass City Hotel.

"Good Hotel"
PhilViking, 08 Octobre 2015

This is a standard Best Western hotel, which is fine. The rooms are a bit small, but very comfortable. Good quality bed and the drapes are black outs, so sleeping is easy. Everything is clean. Free breakfast is better than expected, but it is Europe, not the U.S., so food is good! Hotel location -- yes it is a 15 minute walk to food and shops, but there are places to stay closer to the action. The walk is fine, but you may wish to use your vacation time better.

"Good for short stay"
Nicho_Traveller, 05 Octobre 2015

Stayed 2 nights, overall clean little hotel. Included breakfast was good selection. Rooms were a bit small, and no air conditioning (Eco-Friendly), but was okay with the windows open. Not too far from the sights, on a relatively quiet street.

"Good hotel, well situated"
cheryl g, 02 Octobre 2015

Stayed for three nights this week. The hotel is smart, clean and an excellent breakfast is free. Room a fair size, bathroom smallish but ok. In a quiet road but close to the Metro which takes you to the airport in 15 minutes. Staff pleasant and helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of most of the attractions of Copenhagen. Not too pricey Recommended.

"never again"
divadan, 01 Octobre 2015

I would not stay here again. The rooms have no air conditioning and it can actually get really hot in summer. I was not able to sleep because I was so hot. The tv in my room didn't work and they were never able to get it working. The keys are old room keys you turn in at the desk...charming yes, but for a national chain they need to update this. No ice machines.

"Everything was perfect."
deadeggs, 28 Septembre 2015

Everything was perfect so it's difficult to say more. Professional management, friendly staff, everything spotlessly clean. For Danish standards, the room rate was right. Not a bad point anywhere to mention. Thank you for helping me to have a pleasant stay in Copenhagen.
