The front desk receptionist was friendly, but that's where anything good ends. I found hair in the bathtub from the last guest. The dining table was still sticky from the last time someone ate on it. But the kicker was the blood on the bedsheets. We called the desk but they said they couldn't bring new sheets. It was disturbing.
Both nights we were woken up at 3:00am by people yelling and fighting. This made us feel unsafe. There is no one at the front desk between 1:00am and 7:00am. They do not start serving their take and go breakfast until 7:30, that means no coffee either. And when I asked for coffee packets for our room, they had none. Kitchen drawers on the inside were warped, and not very clean. They had this big breakfast area and on line said breakfast was included, but it wasn't just these awful packaged pastries. We had to have our shower fixed because we could not pull up on the handle to get the water on. Won't go back.
First, the lobby is like a meat locker, as cold as the outdoor temperature, talking 40's. Why? No idea. I asked for a room on the highest floor (4th), was told no rooms were available on 3rd or 4th floors, so they put me on the second floor. In my entire time there, 14+ hours, I did not see one other patron, zilch. There were maybe 5 automobiles in the parking lot. No availability? I think not! When I entered the bathroom in my room there was a metal bar, 1-1/2 foot long by 2 inches wide by 1/4 inch thick in the bathtub. Wait, what? No idea what it was used for, but it was retrieved by a maintenance person. The telephone in the bedroom area was inoperable, there was a dial tone but the buttons didn't work. Oh, and did I mention the breakfast? Grab a bag, pack your cold items and go? Unacceptable!!!
Fantastic customer service, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean and in good condition. Parking was ample. My only issues were 1) my room was directly next to the train tracks and I didn't get much sleep because of this and 2) my shower had to be macgivered just right in order to get hot water. Disappointing.
I want to highlight that the staff was really nice and welcoming. The list of things that could be improved on that were unsatisfactory were as following: dents in the refrigerator, dim lighting, punching wholes in interior door, lack of cleaning to the sleeper sofa (on and in), lack of cleaning the vents (dust on vents and dust buildup in room), tables not properly cleaned off, carpet not cleaned in areas, shower head not properly cleaned (hardwater buildup and mildew).

I only stayed one night - very large studio room. Everything went very well - comfortable and clean. Excellent value. Hard to find - many hotels in this area - Best Western was atthe end of the line! Being a long-tern stay - the office is closed overnight. Also a good breakfast is served starting at 7:30 AM. So if you are just passing through - you will notfind the 24 hour services.
I do not know what all the complaints are about. We stayed overnight to visit a family member in a Columbus hospital. Our suite was large and well equipped with full sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, sink, and dishwasher. It had plates, cups, glassware, utensils and cookware. The bathroom was large, and there was a sitting area with sofa, kitchen table and chairs. The TV swiveled so it could be viewed from the bed or the sofa. There was a large desk area. The cleanliness may not have been perfect, but I don't clean my furnace and behind the dishwasher regularly either. I thought everything was fine. The lobby is large with a fireplace and a large breakfast area. The only disappointment was there was no full breakfast, just the grab and go, which was sufficient. I understand with Covid, adjustments have been made. I would stay here again.
Terrible smelling like old cigars. 100% filthy. Manager not available, staff promised a refund, none given on my credit card. The light switch covers very sincerely black with dirt. I persuaded the receptionist to provide washcloths with bleach so I could clean high touch surfaces for my family. When my family was asleep, I opened the shower curtain to discover there was no shower head. No linens and no pillow for my third guest. We chose to wrap couch pillows in bed sheets because the front desk could not provide a pillow or pillow case. Front desk not staffed from 0130 till 0700. God help us in the event of a fire or medical emergency.
Terrible property. It is not well kept and has an unpleasant odor in the lobby. Toilet flush did not work. They do not offer full breakfast as claimed but very limited, grab and go style. This is not Best Western Plus but more like a motel.
We loved our short stay here. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was excellent in size, décor, and cleanliness. We would stay here again when in Columbus. We stayed at Best Westerns across the US during our vacation and this property is at the tops.
The room wasn't very clean. The room temperature was 60 degrees when we got in. We moved the thermostat to 73 and didn't notice any heat. Talked to the front desk and they said to just give it time. We left for 7 hours and when we came back it was 68 degrees. Finally on day 2 it got up to the set temp. The room itself was noticeably unclean. The toilet seat had only one screw holding it on. How does a cleaning person not report that?
Under new ownership, this residence lodging is being nicely remodeled and updated! The front desk clerk, SUNNY was especially helpful. Nice pool & exercise room. They serve a light breakfast, but we drove four miles to the fabulous La Chatelaine French Bakery!
Very nice facility with friendly & helpful staff. The room was wonderful - very clean & very comfortable. Was quite surprised & happy with the fact there was a kitchen, sitting area & large work station which we did not expect.
This was without a doubt one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have ever experienced and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years. Upon check in to our room i was greeted by multiple curly black pubic hairs sitting on the bathroom floor and a shower that would not drain. I brought this up to the front desk employee who did assist in getting me another room. After moving all of mine, my wifes, and our infant son's things down the hall to our new room i was welcomed with the smell of stale smoke and a rancid rotting food stench emanating from the kitchenette sink. It was later in the evening that i discovered pubic hairs YET AGAIN behind the toilet of this second room. If it wasn't as late in the evening as it was upon my discovery I would have left to find other accommodations. The air conditioner would short cycle and kick on an off every 5 minutes in a sound that could be compared to a small jet engine struggling to take off. In the morning when i came downstairs for the hot breakfast that is described on the hotel website I was greeted with the following: bottled water, yogurt, muffins, and bananas. There was also a handwritten note saying coffee machine broken. Your website description is a blatant lie in an attempt to get guests to give you their hard earned money. If you are to blame Covid or lack of employees for these glaring shortcomings perhaps you should do everyone a service and close your doors until a time that you are able to satisfy the basic services you claim. With my military rate I paid over $140 to stay at this hotel and i can honestly say anything over $20 is too much for what i experienced. I believe you owe it to me and my wife as patrons to refund us our money or credit us a minimum of one night's future stay at a property of our choosing. This experience was a very sour note on an otherwise nice first overnight trip with our 1 year old son. I really hope you take this review seriously as this was unacceptable and can not continue. The fact that you put a sign on the front door indicating you have an increased cleaning regiment due to Covid but I find pubic hair in two separate rooms is laughable.
Great staff, spacious rooms, location is excellent. Room made us feel almost as comfortable as being home. If your in Columbus this is the place to stay. Nice furniture, breakfast table and large desk. Kitchen has full size fridge and microwave. Coffee maker is full size Mr. Coffee.
This location was not clean and pool area not clean and tile missing inside the pool Room was not in best of shape and mold around the bathroom wallpaper. Kitchen area had sticky counter tops, unclean pots, pans, and just not up to Best Western standards. Very disappointing. AC handler outside of both bedroom was loud and noisy all night. Poor maintainence
We checked in late and the front desk guy was rude, staff tried to enter our room in the middle of the night, there were no big towels or soap of any kind. I kept finding things other guests left behind showing how badly they “cleaned”. I made staff aware of the problems and they were very nice and apologetic but I still was upset about the attitude of the check-in guy. He was almost mean. I was shocked that staff would get an attitude about having to check in people. I will stay another place next visit. For sure.
The room was so enormous and decorated with comfortable sofa and bed and colorful paintings and prints to liven up the room. The room was immaculate and so clean and refreshing to stay the night. Enjoy your stay.
This was one of my worst hotel experiences. There was no housekeeping for the four days that we were there . The bathtub did not drain. The fire alarm went off at 6:15 a.m. We were told that sometimes that happens. No apology given. The desk was not manned overnight. The breakfast consisted of one flavor of yorgurt, clementines, bananas and 400 calorie muffins. The beverage was Kirkland bottled water. We had stayed here many times when it was a Marriott hotel, but now it is Best Western. It has declined in quality very much.we visit Columbus several times a year and will definitely stay somewhere else.
This place is disgusting. Let's start with check in. They charged me a $100 deposit on a 2 night stay to be refunded when I check out. Then the check in sheet was like a car rental, initials for everything. The room was beat up. Stained carpet. Dented fridge. No glasses. Stained black out blinds. Furniture scraped up and nicked. Microwave all messed up with stains. Hours later I found out the TV didn't work. Was given a new room. Black, moldy caulking. Filled trash can. No coffee pot. No soap. Towels in drawer. Dirty cupboards. One glass. No forks. And they charged me a deposit? I should have charged them! Also, I love the smell of Indian food. But if you don't you wont like being here, theres Indian food smell everywhere.
Arrived late with 2 children under 2 and were given a room that had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Waited 20 mins for a ‘cleaned' room that was still dirty with a broken shower faucet. There was cereal within the sheets and sand on the couch.
Hotel was not very clean. Tub had a slimy residue, light fixture was falling off the ceiling so maintenance was called- and there was dog hair in the bed all over the sheets that should have been clean.
Our first three nights we were totally at Awh when my fiancé was ate up in what seemed to be bed bugs but the hotel blamed us for it! Then in our second room we were accompanied with an INFESTATION of lady bugs.
We stayed overnight for a trip as a halfway point. The rooms are all suites here and very spacious. We loved that there was a full kitchen in our room in case we wanted to cook something. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the doors don't close properly, so that creates a security issue. You have to push or pull the door to make sure its closed. We also used the top lock on the inside as extra precaution.
Very nice staff and very nice and clean rooms. The breakfast was very good. A lot of options compared to other hotels. The rooms are very nice and spacious and clean! The best part is how the staff treated me. I felt welcome!
Very polite and courteous staff, especially Paval! He was great with getting our family checked in when we needed it most. Though the towels and bed were clean, the room was not. Opened dry pet food was scattered about in the closet of one of the rooms, the dining area had crumbs and food stuff on the chairs, dry raisins throughout living area, odorous couch, used utensils under couch, and a crusty yellowish substance on the microwave plate. We didn't have inform the front desk because we were told there will be no house cleaning during COVID, so we cleaned and sterilized where we could.
There is a train track adjacent to the hotel. Trains ran all night long sounding like it was in the room. The poor girl at the front desk broke down crying because she has to deal with tired and irate guests. I would suggest sleeping under a bridge as opposed to staying at this dump. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I told the owners I was going to post this and they didn't care. Show them the same respect
entering our 2 bedroom suite there was a terrible smell. There was old food and garbage under the sink. Front desk came up to remove and spray. Rooms were never cleaned not towels or coffee replinished in the 4 days we were there. Front desk (who tried their best to be accommodating)said it was due to covid. We have stayed at other hotels since covid and the rooms were cleaned. The ice machine was out of order the entire time we were there.the tv remote did not work. The second day we returned to our room, there were dirty linens strewn in front of rooms just laying I hallway. Food drippings on carpeting. Could not use the pool because there was a group staying who ate around the pool in the evening leaving their immense amount of trash which still had not been cleaned up by 9:39 the next morning. Flies and bees everywhere. In 4 days time the manager was never there and we were told she "hardly ever shows". We have stayed at this property many times when it was Residence Inn. We will not ever stay here again.
In July 2020, we booked at room at this hotel (Best Western Plus Executive Residency) expressly because they had a two bedroom suite. When we arrived, they gave us room keys, but there was already someone in the room (and our keys worked). Back at the front desk, they said they were now out of two bedroom suites, and since it was late, we took two single rooms. The woman at the front desk argued with us that "reservations don't matter anyway" (but I bet if we hadn't showed up at all, we would have been charged). Next morning, same woman at desk told us there would be no charge (which we appreciated) but refused to give me a receipt showing that. I took her at her word, but this month's credit card statement shows they charged us. We have called and emailed the General Manager repeatedly, with no reply. I have also contacted the Best Western corporate office, and no response. My next step is to dispute the credit card charge. Not impressed at all. Will not stay here or any Best Western unless I get the charge removed.
We had an 8 night stay at this Worthington/Columbus hotel. Spacious and well equipped room, great location for what we needed, nice breakfast included. Front desk service good, but unfortunately housekeeping lets the brand and hotel down with 2 missed cleanings during the stay.

Suite with queen bedroom and sofa bed is weird. Bedroom very claustrophobic, barely room to walk around to further side of bed. Grown son on sofa bed had to walk through our bedroom to get to bathroom. Advertised “Gluten free options” (plural you notice) for breakfast was a stale Udi's bagel. Hard to believe they had no nondairy on the counter with the cereal, but fortunately saw that they had lots of soy with the coffee creamer, so you could look for that. Otherwise breakfast about average Staff okay, had to wait a bit for someone to come to desk to check in. Will find another hotel on our next visit to Columbus-Worthington.

The room was clean, the front desk staff is friendly, but the hotel is right next to a busy train track so there are trains going by all night. The free breakfast is just ok, not much fruit. There are a lot of restaurants nearby.

Dear LeeG51, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. We pride ourselves in clean rooms and friendly service, and I am pleased to hear we have accomplished this. Our hope is that all our guests experience a peaceful environment during their stay. That said, it was brought to my attention that your stay was interrupted by a loud disturbance caused by our train track. For this I sincerely apologize. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest and we look forward to serving you again whenever your travels bring you back to Columbus. Stephanie Bova General Manager
The overall layout of the one bedroom suite is very cool. Has lots of space and great private exit. Sleeping accommodations are OK sofa bed seems all right so far. Big negative is the noisy train that goes by very frequently. Staff seems nice enough to Point out all the amenities like outdoor pool and indoor fitness area. The Full kitchen with stove microwave is a major plus - even has range oven combo like you see in your starter homes. After a while the noisy train sort of lulls you to sleep....and become used to the train noise- good thing there's no train whistle and siren here!

Dear Zarfar39525, We are pleased you chose our Residence Inn Worthington as your home away from home. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience. We do in fact have a train as you have mentioned, that can be quite noisy. It is always our goal to be able to provide the quietest location for our travelers. At our unique property the train noise can be heard in about 60% of our rooms. Although you can imagine some guests dissatisfaction, others absolutely love it. And you are right! It does start to feel like a lull while dozing off. We are pleased to hear about the positive interactions with our staff, and that you enjoyed your suite. At Residence Inn, we make it your home away from home. We hope to see you back soon! Sincerely, Stephanie Bova General Manager
I am writing this review on the last night of our stay. I am a Platinum Elite Marriott Member and I have spent many a night in a Marriott hotel. I have been in hotels all over the country and for this type of a hotel this one is a good one. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Tonight was Pizza night and the people working the buffet were so great putting out hot pizza and plenty of Beer Wine and Soda . They kept asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Breakfast is very good and ample. You cannot walk away hungry. Our room was quiet, not near any train or anything like that. The room was very clean. The carpet has a few stains but that is to be expected. Overall my wife and I were very pleased. Stay here you will not be unhappy.
