"Gave room away, charged me anyway"

In July 2020, we booked at room at this hotel (Best Western Plus Executive Residency) expressly because they had a two bedroom suite. When we arrived, they gave us room keys, but there was already someone in the room (and our keys worked). Back at the front desk, they said they were now out of two bedroom suites, and since it was late, we took two single rooms. The woman at the front desk argued with us that "reservations don't matter anyway" (but I bet if we hadn't showed up at all, we would have been charged). Next morning, same woman at desk told us there would be no charge (which we appreciated) but refused to give me a receipt showing that. I took her at her word, but this month's credit card statement shows they charged us. We have called and emailed the General Manager repeatedly, with no reply. I have also contacted the Best Western corporate office, and no response. My next step is to dispute the credit card charge. Not impressed at all. Will not stay here or any Best Western unless I get the charge removed.

"Ok hotel with poor housekeeping "

We had an 8 night stay at this Worthington/Columbus hotel. Spacious and well equipped room, great location for what we needed, nice breakfast included. Front desk service good, but unfortunately housekeeping lets the brand and hotel down with 2 missed cleanings during the stay.

"Suite has odd, inconvenient setup"

Suite with queen bedroom and sofa bed is weird. Bedroom very claustrophobic, barely room to walk around to further side of bed. Grown son on sofa bed had to walk through our bedroom to get to bathroom. Advertised “Gluten free options” (plural you notice) for breakfast was a stale Udi's bagel. Hard to believe they had no nondairy on the counter with the cereal, but fortunately saw that they had lots of soy with the coffee creamer, so you could look for that. Otherwise breakfast about average Staff okay, had to wait a bit for someone to come to desk to check in. Will find another hotel on our next visit to Columbus-Worthington.

"Noisy trains all night long"

The room was clean, the front desk staff is friendly, but the hotel is right next to a busy train track so there are trains going by all night. The free breakfast is just ok, not much fruit. There are a lot of restaurants nearby.

"Train Tracks are Noisy for Rooms neat ends..."

The overall layout of the one bedroom suite is very cool. Has lots of space and great private exit. Sleeping accommodations are OK sofa bed seems all right so far. Big negative is the noisy train that goes by very frequently. Staff seems nice enough to Point out all the amenities like outdoor pool and indoor fitness area. The Full kitchen with stove microwave is a major plus - even has range oven combo like you see in your starter homes. After a while the noisy train sort of lulls you to sleep....and become used to the train noise- good thing there's no train whistle and siren here!

"IN Columbus to visit Family"

I am writing this review on the last night of our stay. I am a Platinum Elite Marriott Member and I have spent many a night in a Marriott hotel. I have been in hotels all over the country and for this type of a hotel this one is a good one. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Tonight was Pizza night and the people working the buffet were so great putting out hot pizza and plenty of Beer Wine and Soda . They kept asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Breakfast is very good and ample. You cannot walk away hungry. Our room was quiet, not near any train or anything like that. The room was very clean. The carpet has a few stains but that is to be expected. Overall my wife and I were very pleased. Stay here you will not be unhappy.
