Best Western Sunset Inn

Overnighted here during our drive from Devils Tower to Yellowstone NP. Clean room & comfortable beds. Located within reasonable walking distance to most of downtown Cody. Liked that a Dairy Queen was close by for an evening takeout treat, which we enjoyed while sitting by the gas firepit in front of the Inn. Indoor breakfast area was crowded, but they were cooking flapjacks outside on a grill which we enjoyed.

Another small village / town that we were not sure what to expect in advance of arriving but what a beautiful place!! We absolutely LOVE Cody! The hotel is a great choice, safe and quality room, but on small side but didn't matter to us. Free breakfast (average) but overall a great place to stay and Cody is a must see if visiting Yellowstone area!

This is a gem of a motel. One of the earliest Best Westerns in excellent condition. Very quiet and wonderfully located. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff and daily housekeeping! We stayed 4 nights and could have stayed longer. Twice we ate breakfast outside on the patio where staff cooked pancakes on a propane-powered griddle. Even in 50-degree temps (middle of September), it was worth doing!

The hotel looked like an old motel from years ago. Very well kept property. The rooms were large and comfortable. The laundry facilities were also exceptional. The breakfast was great, there were plenty of options.

Sunset Inn was just a fabulous place to stay. The grounds were so beautiful and well maintained. The room was clean and up to date. The breakfast, beyond the normal fare, had freshly made pancakes which were served in the outdoor patio. I highly recommend staying at this particular Best Western. We were in the way back of the property and it was so quiet there!

We really enjoyed this hotel as our anchor point for Yellowstone. It is a long drive to the park, but it was nice to be somewhere close to restaurants and gas stations. The room was nice and clean, bed was a little worn on the most used side and they had 4 pillows on each bed! It was very quiet even though we had neighbors on both sides. I love being able to park right in front of your room and not having to go upstairs. The breakfast was fast and filling. No waffles, but plenty to choose from. All staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice comfortable room, outstanding breakfast, helpful staff. Great location for getting to Yellowstone early and going to the museum. Also, just a short walk to downtown. The continental breakfast was very nice.

I would recommend this place to anyone going to Cody Wyoming. The staff is so helpful and so very nice. The rooms are spotless and beds comfortable. They have inside and outside pools and a beautiful hot tub. The exercise room was what I expected it to be.

Chris at the Front Desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He greeted me with a warm smile and was always available to assist with any questions or requests I had. His professionalism and attentiveness truly made me feel like a valued guest. The room itself was immaculate and well-maintained. The cleanliness and attention to detail was evident throughout. I really appreciated the comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel's facilities were great. The fitness center was well-equipped, allowing me to maintain my workout routine even while traveling. Breakfast was delicious and fully stocked. Lastly, I cannot overlook the convenience of the location of the hotel. It was centrally located, making it easy for me to explore the surrounding area and access nearby attractions. Overall, my experience at your hotel was truly delightful. I want to extend my sincere thanks to the entire staff for their exceptional service and for making my stay memorable. The BW Sunset Inn does everything right - genuinely friendly welcoming staff, beautifully updated rooms, and great location! This hotel has been in Cody for a while and they know how to make you feel at home.. Don't overlook this gem where you can spend a relaxing evening outside on the grounds - yes, grounds - not parking lot. Multiple single floor buildings, housing all the guests surround a courtyard of the pools, a large grass area with a picnic table, a small playground, and outdoor seating for the guests. The Bill Cody museum and the downtown are just a few minutes drive. The mountains are in the horizon. The Sunset Inn is ready to let you top off your busy, fun- filled days with a relaxation and a sense of being in your own small community. While the building might be a little older, the rooms are new, the lobby is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and relaxing, and the pool is one of the nicest I have seen in chain hotels, I will certainly return here next time I visit Cody and will recommend it to all my friends and family.

Nice motel, older but neat and well-kept. They provided us with a nice breakfast and a comfortable bed but it was the room was really tiny. Had a hard time finding a place for our luggage. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Has a very nice shower but no tub. Perhaps in a room with a queen (you could never fit 2 in there) it would be okay but we could never stay there again.

We extended our stay here because we had a great experience. Pool was great, room was roomy, and the breakfasts were awesome! The specially pancakes on the outside patio were a hit with my kids. Centrally located to everything we did on our stay.

The hotel is very well taken care of. The rooms and whole facility are very clean. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. The breakfast was amazing and we love the outside seating and fresh pancake bar. The pools are very wonderful. Thank you for a great trip!

First time we have stayed in a "motel" in a while and truly enjoy it! Got a room near the front where the breakfast is served and a short walk from the pool. Its withing walking distance to several restaurants and shoppes so you don't have to take your car if you don't want to. The staff is amazing and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here and hopefully will get the chance to do it again sometime.

This hotel is clean and quiet, with friendly staff and a nice breakfast. The outdoor patio is very pleasant and staff made fresh-cooked pancakes. I liked the proximity to downtown shops and restaurants.

Honestly, when we first arrived, we thought this was not going to be a good choice. I had booked it because we are Best Western reward members. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the room was really nice and clean. The breakfast was good and the pool looks nice although we didn't use it.It could use some updating, but it is a nice place to stay.

We stayed here for 1 night on our stopover to Yellowstone. It's a motel style place we parked right in front of our room which was immaculate. It was very comfortable, the bed was the most comfortable in all the 9 hotels we stayed at during our trip! Especially after we'd been to watch the rodeo which is just down the road and was freezing! Was lovely to come back to a cosy comfortable room. The place was lovely and quiet. The coffee machine was great and had enough coffee, milk, sugar for 2 people which a lot of places don't! Breakfast was hot and fresh. Not a lot of tables if it's busy. Would definitely recommend we had a lovely stay

This is an older motel and adequate parking is a problem. We were greeted warmly and checked in. Our room was very nice although it backed up to the hotel playground. Breakfast was very good and the location outside the downtown area was good. We recommend this facility.

Teagan was extremely helpful and very patient with all the questions and changes I had to make since there were so many in my family who stayed at the property since our grandsons were in the Cody 4th of July parade. We were also withing walking distance to the parade which made it nice too. Got to see the fireworks within walking distance from the hotel. . Rooms were clean and everyone was happy. Breakfast was a little tight as it rained, and the overflow patio was not able to be put to use. Not anyone's fault. I will surely stay there again. Thank you, Teagan!!!

The hotel was nice looks freshly remodeled, but the parking lot needed some repair. Our room was super clean and spacious. It has parking in front of the room made loading and unloading easy. AC left something to be desired, it's on the far wall from the bed, and it took a long time for the room to cool down, it would have been miserable if the weather was hot. Also, while “pet friendly” there are only certain rooms that actually allow pets, so check on that via phone before reserving. If you have a room that is not pet friendly it's an automatic downgrade and you'll have to watch the billing because they don't automatically adjust the price or even offer. If it wasn't a hassle dealing with the billing and the downgrade in the room I would have giving the hotel higher marks. Also, the continental breakfast is cereal, toast, oatmeal from a packet and yogurt. If this works for you great, but we expected better for the price.

This was great place to stay and close to Yellowstone. This was our first time staying in a hotel with outside room access and my family was extremely leery. It actually made life so much easier getting and loading our luggage, which they came to appreciate later in our trip. Our room was clean and spacious, and came with a frig. The free breakfast, was great. My kids loved making their own waffle. The staff is very friendly as well. Would totally stay here again.

Room was in rear for quiet privacy. It was clean but had no shower curtain so we reported to front desk who had one installed next day while we were at Yellowstone. Great breakfast selection and the 2 ladies who managed it were smiling, friendly, excellent. Would recommend.

Stayed one night on our way to California from Wisconsin! Very friendly staff. We had a king limited that was smaller but very comfortable! Clean room, bed, bathroom etc. My tall husband was happy the shower head was actually taller than him. Thanks for a great rest!!

Didn't expect this much from a motel. On our vacation we stayed at four best western hotels plus. This Motel was the best. It did t feel worn out. Room had a sink outside of restroom. They management thought of small features that most 4 star places do t offer. It was safe and clean. We always take Clorox wipes and end up cleaning something in our hotel room that looks neglected. Not here. We didn't bust out a single wipe. So thankful there are stops like this.

Great Hotel. I never take time to write reviews but staying at this hotel from check in to check out was such a great experience for my family and I. Great staff and awesome Amenities. Family trip ranging in ages from 30's to 70. Stayed in two different room types: one with two rooms & small hallway with two separate bathrooms then a larger room which accommodated three queen sized beds & one bathroom. Booked another night unexpectedly & Shannon at the front desk was happy to assist, even with our late night requests! Breakfast was lovely both inside & out. Nicole, Barbara & another gal at the outside buffet were so kind & attentive. Overall the entire staff made our trip memorable. Outdoor poor was heated & we used the indoor pool & jacuzzi as well. Both areas well equipped with fresh towels. Lawn games, Ice Room with vending machines & all hotel rooms had upgraded coffee & tea (Keurig). Very clean property & rooms (we all loved their pillows!) firm mattresses in both rooms with blackout curtains. Amenity kits available as well: Shampoo, Conditioner, bar soap, sewing & vanity kit along w/shower cap. We'll def come back because of the warm hospitality, affordable accommodations & overall atmosphere. Wake up early for a quiet breakfast & if traveling with a dog ask Teagan at the front desk for a biscuit! Large property that will need some attention as the years pass but overall highly recommended for overall value & location. Thank you again to the staff at the Best Western Sunset Inn! Very pleased with this motel. It was very roomy, clean and comfortable. Very convenient to have the car right outside the room. Has both and inside and outside pool which we did not use. The breakfast came with the room and was very good. We enjoyed the made to order pancakes on the outside patio. The Inn was very close to all the attractions in Cody.

We arrived late, and went to our room and it had not been cleaned at all. Called the front desk and they jumped right on it. The rooms are nice. Staff is very friendly. Someday hotels will have good water pressure in the shower. Would stay again.

First time staying at this particular hotel very clean excellent customer service everything great personnel extremely helpful and friendly they truly made us feel welcome and appreciated we will definitely stay here again

Didn't expect this hotel to be super nice based on the “motel” look. However, the furniture looked updated, there was a Keurig with gourmet coffee in rooms, and a/c worked great. Extremely clean. Our family of five booked the three queen room and were beyond thrilled to find it was two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a little foyer/entry hall giving us extra space for our luggage. Close to Cody Rodeo. Of all hotels on our three week trip, this was my favorite from a space and cleanliness perspective. Glad I believed the other reviewers. No need to book the fancy looking places down the road. This was great!!

Excellent staff from check-in, room attendants and especially the smiling and accommodating breakfast staff. Enjoyed three nights here. Easy parking. Close to the Museum. There is an outside patio for breakfast as well as in the lobby. Great

Its a bestwestern so you know what to expect great cookie at reception on check in,pool and laundry and a bike wash if you want right on the main street thru town walkable to downtown if you like great parking

Lodging anywhere outside of Yellowstone is pricy in August, but this best western did not dissapoint! The rooms were (not fancy, but) spotless and very spacious, the grounds well kept, the pools were lovely, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the hotel provided all the toiletries, towels and other amenities you could need. There was even a dog bed for the pup in our pet friendly room. Would highly recommend to anyone needing to stay multiple days.

We found the rooms clean and comfortable. We took advantage of the laundry facilities witch were conveniently located close to our rooms. There are restaurants near by for dinner and breakfast is included with your stay.

We checked into Best Western Sunset Inn after leaving Yellowstone on our way to eastern Montana. We left the park very late in the day and called ahead to make sure they were aware of our late arrival and they said it wouldn't be a problem. In the morning (7/27), they were serving **complementary** breakfast buffet inside the breakfast area AS WELL as a waffle service out on the patio. The staff were very friendly and helped us with our plates and drinks out to the patio, which was about 50 feet away from the building. Having both and indoor and outdoor pool, we opted for the outdoor since it was a beautiful morning. Once again, very friendly staff assisted us with obtaining pool towels. Highly recommend this hotel!

Spent one night here prior to Yellowstone visit. Room was clean and had been updated. Property Just seemed well cared for. Hotel rooms are all ground level and there is adequate parking right in front of your room. So moving in and out is simple. Seemed full on our night but was very quiet. Breakfast was nice. Our group all felt the hotel choice was a good one.

Very nice and clean motel in scenic Cody Wyoming, pleasant stay! Friendly staff and very helpful, oh and kid friendly with a pool outside and one indoor with hot tub. The laundry room came in handy as we were camping in Yellowstone

The outdoor breakfast set up was may favorite part of this hotel, but honestly, there wasn't anything I did not like. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a dog bed in my pet friendly room and lots of space to walk the dog around after a long day in the car.

The room was super clean with usual amenities. We were traveling with a dog, and the dog area was wonderful: poop bags, spacious grassy lawns with lots of shade trees. The central area was like a park, including a large pool. Breakfast was amazing; fresh pancakes with choice of many different kinds of fruit, plus sausage and eggs, toast, muffins, etc. , huge bowl of fresh strawberry yogurt -- just about anything you'd want -- with an option to eat outside under a covered area. This all in all was the best BW we have stayed in in 15 states. Close enough to downtown area and Buffalo Bill Center of the West and rodeo grounds to make enjoying all Cody has to offer pretty easy.

Great property. Clean, family friendly, nice sized room with patio. We stayed with our two granddaughters and the room was perfect. The girls enjoys both the indoor and outdoor pools, and loved that they had their own bathroom vanity.

If you are traveling this area do not hesitate to stay in Cody. And if in Cody stay here. Although some people are turned off by a motel this property is what all motels should model after. Beautiful location. Clean. Modern. Pancakes on the patio!

Best Western is our go to after using other motels. Best Western have always been better than the rest.Good value for the money. The continental breakfast is very good with plenty of variety. Very clean

The hotel does not look all that impressive on the outside. However we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Everything was great and the room was very clean. Looks like the rooms were updated not long ago.

We stayed in the Sunset Suite -family of 6. It was cheaper than renting 2 rooms. The suite was more like a house - so much room to spread out. It was wonderful. Upstairs were 2 bedroom and bath, downstairs huge master bedroom and bath, living room, dining room, kitchen and office. Short walk to pool and laundry.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The food was excellent and the staff was outstanding. I had previously stayed at a much higher price and newer place the night before. Some of the staff at that place were not very friendly. This place was the best I have found in a very long time in my travels. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Cody, WY

The facility met our needs in every way. Indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, gym, free breakfast, wi fi etc. The staff were helpful and accommodating. They offered to clean the room more frequently than we even needed. It is true that we didn't have our beds turned down at night with mints on the pillow or towel animals but didn't care. All good!

This is a great family hotel! The amenities, service and food are all excellent. Clean rooms, 2 pool options, laundry on site and the free continental breakfast is the best we have had! Every one of the employees we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful.

The room had nice, new/newer ceramic tile floors; the room had been updated with comfortable beds. Honestly, I prefer the tile floors (over carpeted floors) even if we were not traveling with pets. The lawns were well-kept, and the pools/hot tub were nice. In addition, the hotel staff was fabulous. If I could have every hotel, I stay at be as nice as this one, I would be a happy traveler.

Excellent hotel located 5 minutes walk from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and less than 10 mins walk from the town center. Rooms are spacious and clean. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast each morning with plenty of choice. Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools which were great. II genuinely cannot say anything negative about this hotel.

We LOVED this hotel! Don't let the older motel-style rooms fool you as you drive by. This is a great hotel! Everything was so clean, the the breakfast was hands down the best hotel breakfast I've had. One morning they even had made-to-order pancakes on the deck with all sorts of mix ins. Great stay!

We stayed here several nights after Yellowstone closed. It was a great location to explore all that Cody has to offer. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed seeing the Dug up gun museum and Buffalo Bill Museum. We also watched the nightly shootout. Lots of Western style fun. We even saw a herd of Elk just past the resevoir

This was just a terrific stay. The rooms are big and were immaculate. A great hot breakfast is included with the room. It included fried eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, French toast sticks, hot and cold cereal, juices, yogurts, granola. Everything was really good. The location is near all the major attractions and downtown Cody. We stayed here two different times and each time was perfect. The staff are great. Very accommodating. If you are in Cody, this would be a the place to stay.

This is an old school motor lodge, where you park in front of your room. The property is well maintained and has many private, grassy areas to sit and soak in the sun. There is an outdoor poor, as well as, an indoor pool, laundry room, play ground, ice and vending machines. There is also breakfast served each morning. The rooms are clean and updated. Housekeeping is exceptional. The breakfast area is monitored by 2 employees who make sure the area and serving stations are cleaned as used and everything is well stocked. The front desk offered great suggestions, too.

I chose this hotel because it was different. Retro, but interiors have been renovated and are excellent. The grounds are clean. The staff is friendly. The breakfasts are exceptional. They have a huge variety. We requested a room in the back of the property for less road noise and it was great! It was so convenient to park right in front of our room! They have an indoor pool and large hot tub. They also have an outdoor pool and playground. Great for families with small children.

I loved this motel. It definitely has a few years on it, but the rooms looked brand new. We had a corner room with lots of windows. I liked the exterior entrances as opposed to an entrance from a hallway. Close to a couple of restaurants. Breakfast was great.

Our stay was excellent. Our room and parking were spacious. The service from the front desk, breakfast staff and cleaning staff was very hospitable and they did a great job. The breakfast was good and there was a variety each day. Amenities of a hotel with the convenience of a motel parking at your front door. The grounds around the motel were clean and nice. We had our dog and there was areas to take her and bags and garbage to pick up after her. She even received a pet bed during our stay. Our room was tidy and smelled fresh each day upon our return along with plenty of new linens, coffee etc.

We actually stayed 2 nights in this hotel. This was our first time traveling with our dog. This hotel was perfect for traveling with our dog. It was all 1 floor with our door going direct outside. Tile floor, which was much cleaner. Our dog didn't spend the entire night sniffing the room for other dogs. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean and plenty of room. The internet was good, which is important to us, we have a business that requires us to get online and do some work while we travel. The breakfast was a nice selection of hot & cold. The breakfast room was monitored well and kept clean between people at the tables. The location was also great, just a couple blocks from the downtown area. Everyone working at the hotel was extremely nice. BW should use this as an example for all their hotels.

The motel was okay; nothing great. We did make friends with our neighbor and sat out front of our rooms drinking beer and taking in the scenery, which was the most awesome thing about the motel. They did not have breakfast in the morning.

We booked a two night stay to use a our base to go to Yellowstone Park. Due to weather conditions we needed to stay an additional day, staff was very accommodating no stress at all booked us right in.

We were supposed to be travelling through Cody to Yellowstone, but the entrance to the park was closed due to the weather, so we ended up at the Best Western Sunset Inn. The staff were very helpful in giving us maps and info to get us to Yellowstone successfully the following day. The hotel is lovely. Beautiful grounds, clean and spacious room, good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay and will exceed your expectations. Location is within walking distance of town. Buffalo Bill museum was an unplanned side benefit of staying in Cody and what a treasure to find it, you will be happy to explore it.

We had a two bedroom, two bath suite which was perfect for our family of 5. Even though it is a little older, it was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We used the indoor pool and fitness room and both were clean as well. Breakfast was a nice variety of hot and cold foods and was more than enough to fill up my three teens! The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Would stay again.

The motel rooms were spread out in different single level buildings. I guess like old motor lodges with central court yards. It was awesome, the rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We used the laundry room with other guests, kind of a social event and got to meet other guest.

This is a fairly large, well maintained Best Western. The layout is motel-like making it convenient to park your vehicle near the room; there are many buildings with units on this well-maintained property.. We had a deluxe queen which was in a building with only two other units. Room was very large and clean; everything was in working condition. We stayed three nights and enjoyed it very much. We would stay here again without hesitation. Property had a guest laundry and pool, which we did not use, but both important to most travellers. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional for 'free breakfast' locations; breakfast staff was excellent as well. There are two Best Western's in Cody, the other one is within view of this one and appeared to be more hotel-like.

This hotel was awesome. Each room had their own parking space in front of their room.The rooms were side by side, not the 2-10 story buildings. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed, a patio to sit out on with flowers. A very nice walking path through the property. . Breakfast had a pancake time on the patio. Friendly staff everywhere!

Very pleasant stay enroute home via Yellowstone; hotel uncrowded, quiet, and relaxed. We'll stay again the next time through Cody. Breakfast was abundant and well-prepared; we really enjoyed dinner at the 8th St restaurant in the BW sister hotel up the street. Well done, BW!

This property was clean, very comfortable bed, terrific staff and pretty quiet. We spent one night there and were more than happy with our room. Their breakfast was wonderful . We would definitely stay there again when in town

The property is a few minutes walk from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It is a very short drive from downtown. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a laundry on premises and the machines were of good quality. The staff was superior. The breakfast staff took great pride in their work. The fare was better than is typical of a chain hotel and there was a pancake bar. We recommend this property.

This motel was very nice and clean, and they also had a very nice breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint that I have is that it's pretty pricey and they don't want to change your linens every day. For the price they charge I think that would be a no brain-er.

Driving trip for several weeks. Stayed here one night before driving the 50 miles to east entrance of Yellostone. I liked the location for easy access to the park (after driving from Custer, SD) The hotel was clean, room was fine...had a small refrig and microwave and coffee maker. I had to change my dates once and they were v accomodating.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very clean and up to date. Breakfast was served early and much to choose from. Front desk was very nice during check in and also when we checked out.

This Best Western exceeded our expectations. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the use of the 2 pools, hot tub and exercise room. The breakfast had your typical hotel items, but they also served made to order delicious pancakes outside under a pavilion. The location was in walking distance of the Buffalo Bill museum and several restaurants. Everything was very clean and organized. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet place. The room was small but very clean. So clean that it smelled very bad because of the cleaning material used. The check in lady was very pleasant and helpful. Check out was equally easy. The breakfast hot food was great. Quite tasty and appealing. Only issue besides the room smelling was the mattress being very lumpy. The pillows were great though.

Room was comfy and quiet. I read the reviews of the long walk to the office and we were in the back but near the pool and fitness area and the walk wasn't that far.. Overnight stay Breakfast was great lots of choices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again!

This is actually a motel, in other words there is no interior corridor. I usually prefer a hotel instead, but this place was extremely nice. You would have never known the difference. Located in Cody, on the East side of Yellowstone, we stayed the night here after leaving Yellowstone. The room was nice. The hot tub was very unique and was pretty warm. We also used the laundry room which came in handy, as this was day 10 of a 16 day trip. The laundry prices were very reasonable and the room was also clean. The breakfast had a lot of options, plus they were cooking three different types of pancakes on the griddle. They came around took orders for those. Nice touch. It's a pricey area, but they try to give you your money's worth.

Smooth check-in, nice staff. Room was spotlessly clean and fresh. Hotel grounds looked like a park. Breakfast outside under the covered patio was great. Barbara was cooking blueberry pancakes and any eggs to order with a great smile. One of the nicest hotels ever.

We spent a night in this hotel. The room was adequate and clean. The breakfast was decent. Check-in was smooth. Good location to visit the Rodeo and other location attractions. Overall a positive experience.

I dreaded staying here after reading reviews. I am an impulsive cleaning perfectionist. My husband wanted to see Yellowstone and this was the only hotel that allowed dogs on a last minute reservation. I was pleasantly surprised to see the whole hotel was remodeled and updated. The room and exterior was perfectly clean. I was comfortable. Checking in and out was easy without the use of technology. The staff was friendly. My only complain, with many hotels, is the attitude and high additional costs directed at dog owners. I would recommend giving this hotel a try!

Was very pleased with ease of check-in and out. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, both about hotel and local things to do. Room was exceptional and large, however, price was a little steep. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, and have stayed in hotels in excess of 20 nights this year. Highly recommend!!

We stayed here due to the reasonable rates during the busy summer travel season and were pleasantly surprised. It's an older motel with outside entry but updated and clean. The pool and hot tub area was centrally located with TWO pools. One inside and one outdoor. My boys loved it! Both were clean and welcoming and large. We had a suite which only had one common wall with another traveler so our room was quiet. Staff at checkin and checkout were very friendly as well. Breakfast was good. Hot sausage and eggs with French toast sticks and all of the other extras like cereal you'd expect.

It didn't look like much but there was nice grass for our dog and our room was clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the coziness of the place. Breakfast was good though the eating area was small and crowded quickly - accommodation has been made by adding outside seating. We also had an easy drive from this location into Yellowstone.

The BW Sunset Inn is the ideal hotel for motorcycling travelers. Hotel is beautifully maintained. Has two pools (indoor & outdoor) as well as a large indoor hot spa. Almost all rooms are ground floor, park by your door. Large A/C'd multiunit laundry, $.75 per load. Loved the breakfast pavilion with on demand homemade pancakes. Really made our stay in Cody perfect.

Lovely motel with beautiful pools, play area, grass and picnic tables. Fabulous laundry are for guests. Homemade pancakes for breakfast. The staff were all quite friendly and helpful. Great location to enjoy the many wonderful places in Cody and only a short trip to Yellowstone.

Where do I start? From the super clean rooms, sparkling clean pools, large clean laundry area, this hotel deserves a 10! And then there's the hardy pancakes made to order, eggs, sausage , potatoes breakfast while sitting outside under the canopy breakfast area. Don't let the initial appearance of an older motel style fool you. The rooms are newly renovated and modern. And did I say clean? WOW

We stopped on our way home after a busy day at Yellowstone. It was relaxing to sit by the pool in the evening. The morning breakfast was a full meal with eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, cereals, pastries, cereal, yogurt, juices and coffee.

Best Western Sunset Inn was very clean and offered direct access to the rooms. Plenty of parking available and served a very good breakfast each morning. Breakfast was served for an extended time from 6:00 am to 10:00 am which gave us more flexibility each morning. Hotel is approximately 1 hour from Yellowstone National Park, but offers a beautiful drive to the park.

Cody lodging is fairly pricey, and while this was on the lower end of the nightly rates, it was still $219/night with AAA. This is a motel, where you drive up to your room door which we prefer. The rooms were clean and had nice furnishings and beds--nothing fancy, but nice and tidy! Shower was nice with good pressure and hot water, and front desk staff were all friendly! They did have breakfast, but we didn't try it and check in and out was really fast!! Would definitely stay again if in the area!

We have stayed at the Best Western Sunset Inn many times over the years when we travel to western Wyoming. I have never had a bad experience and feel comfortable there. On our most recent visit, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms had been completely renovated. Our room was very relaxing with a small seating area, king size bed and large bathroom. Our room was also very clean. We had all the amenities that one would expect from a large, chain hotel. There are 2 pools but we didn't take advantage of them plus a large covered area to cook out picnic. The hotel serves a hot breakfast in the mornings with a variety of offerings and plenty of coffee. We will definitely continue to stay here when we travel.

Fantastic property. It's an older style, where you park in front of your room and we love that feature! Rooms are nicely decorated. Super clean with comfortable beds & pillows. Breakfast buffet far exceeded our expectations. Will stay here again!

This is a wonderful well maintained and modern "old motel" style hotel whee you can park at your door. Staff was excellent, breakfast great. Rooms clean, modern and quiet. Amenities wonderful including guest laundry. One of the best stays I have had in a long time

The pools and hot tub were great! The room was clean and very comfortable! It was in a great location for what we needed for our trip to Yellowstone with my son and father. It was close to town and great for all age groups

Road trip to Yellowstone park and this hotel is a win in terms of distance to park, (only 1h/52ml) location of hotel, accommodating staff. Spent 3 days...breakfast great and different everyday,lady's that work the breakfast area are super nice and kind!Don't forget to leave them some $... Arrived later and front desk staff was quick and answered some questions we had. Later we needed some items and they got it for us despite that I should've left a note on the door before 10am for cleaning crew before heading out. Didnt get to use playground area and 2 pools+jacuzzi, but the grounds are nice,walkable and clean.The laundry room is conveniently located next to pool is ++++ The room was clean,specious had all standard items,such as fridge, coffee maker and tea, hair dryer...nice quite working AC and comfortable beds. Some reviews had mentioned that they make pancakes to order outside sitting area, it was not available durring my stay. Also if you on tight schedule try to arrive for breakfast early because the inside sitting area is kinda small,but they added for us a table so we had breakfast at lobby area... Overall I would definitely come back when in the area!

On a motorcycle trip, with 7 bikes, this motel was very accommodating. Cody was experiencing a high wind storm all afternoon as a front moved thru. We didn't have any trouble checking in with the assistance of Ann Parsons. The lady is remarkable. After we got checked in, we lost power for approximately 2 hrs. No fault of the motel, but because trees were being blown down over power lines. They had folks cleaning up down trees from their parking lot in no time. The next morning, much of the debris had been cleared. We were pleased with the variety of hot bfasts. More about Ann, I noticed her wiping down counters, greeting people, & going above & beyond!!

We were here for one night while making a road trip from Jackson to Rapid City. It was neat and clean, moderately priced, with a great breakfast . We used the guest laundry, which was spotlessly clean and quick. The grounds are grassy and loaded with beautiful white birch trees. We would come back in a heartbeat.

We stayed in a 2 room suite at the end of May at a very reasonable price compared to West Yellowstone prices. Our room was spacious, clean and perfect for a disabled person to get around in. Unloading right in front of door was very convenient. This was not a deemed handicapped room but worked well anyway. Great location. Full free breakfast was very good!!

This hotel is within walking distance to Buffalo Bill Center of the West. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. It is a 1-story facility, I was able to park right in front of my room and easily bring my things inside. The inside of the room has furniture appropriate to the area. The handles on the dresser looked like gold branches. A small, nice touch. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows to use to prop to read in bed with. Nice, clean bathroom with a separate area for the toilet and shower. Plenty of towels. There was a dispenser on the wall of the shower for soap and shampoo. I did not have to try and squeeze out shampoo from the those little bottles. The room had a refrigerator, tv, DVD player, microwave and coffee maker that could also be used to make tea and hot chocolate. There was also a laundry facility that I did use. There is a pool, but it was closed. And there is a play area if you have children. Wonderful room, I would stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location as it is near the museum and the downtown area. The staff was extremely kind and very helpful. The price was just right. I loved that the hotel is all one level which made getting in and out of our room very easy.

Very nice motel near Buffalo Bill museums. We had room 245 all the way in the back of the property. It's very quiet absolutely no road noise. Bed was very comfortable, mini frig and microwave along with coffee maker. Breakfast was complete with eggs and sausage. Plenty of coffee and teas. They are currently not providing daily maid service but will exchange towels and provide anything else you need. Good tv selection. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend you stay here when in Cody.

This hotel was clean. I brought my own wipes. I wipe down the room and found not one speck of dirt. The staff was warm and caring I felt very welcome and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

This is an older hotel but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. Spacious and comfortable. The bathroom door, however, needs some work. It is a very large complex and we were all the way in the back so could not hear any highway traffic noises. The buffet breakfast had a nice selection, but is not a very big room, so we took our breakfast back to our room. The clerk signed us up for the most recent BW promo which was thoughtful. Would stay here again.

Very friendly place! Every one went out of their way to be kind. Rooms were clean and breakfast was a banquet!! Very cozy rooms and very comfortable beds. A great place to stay if you are in Cody WY.!!

Clean, quiet place to get some rest, a bit of a walk to downtown attractions but not beyond reason. Fairly close to the museums. Breakfast standard grab and go during these odd times. Would stay again without problem.

The hotel is older but is well maintained and the rooms are very clean. I appreciate that the staff is observing all of the health protocols necessary during these times. The staff is also friendly and very accommodating. We arrived around 9 pm and the staff made an extra effort to make sure our tent trailer was parked in a safe, secure spot. The room was spacious and very clean. The laundromat was very clean and inexpensive. They are located within walking distance of the Wild Bill Cody Museum. We would stay there again.

Hotel is older but super clean and no problems. We used the family bedroom 2 baths and 2 bedrooms. Others in group used single room. Park at door. Within walking distance is the museum and Dairy Queen.

We spent two nights here. Strong hot shower. Big soft bed. Tv worked great. They had DVD player in room. They had a bag breakfast that was sufficient. The grounds were well groomed and clean. My problem was the price. 2 nights cost 362 dollars. I consider that to be a 5 star hotel. I was informed that it was a comparable rate for the area. I have no complaints and would stay here again. Just budget the cost in for your trip.

I have made most of the reservations with Best Westerns for my trip. Since Covid was spread, I feel some difference of BW hotel staff's attitudes. First, I don't see their smiles anymore. Second, they provide a partial poor breakfast in the pretext of Covid. They must know that your customers are sensitive for their money.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size and condition of our room. We requested a king size bed and expected just one room with a large bed. We were actually given a king suite with a separate living area and bedroom. Room was clean, comfortable and had update furnishings. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. Outside pool was a little chilly for my taste. There is also a laundry area, which was less pricey than the laundry mat in town. Location was convenient to everything in the area. Bag Grab and Go breakfast with coffee provided.

This motel has been recently freshly renovated. The room was very clean and welcoming. The bathroom nicely updated. This was not your parent's 1960's Best Western!! The location was excellent and within walking distance to most of downtown Cody. We would happily stay here again when in Cody.

The price for this hotel is exorbitant. Yes, the hotel room was clean. Yes, there is an area where your pet can relieve itself. Yes, there's an indoor and and an outdoor pool. But almost $200 for an old, somewhat updated hotel, in my opinion, is way overpriced. I've stayed in MUCH nicer hotel rooms for MUCH less.

Stayed here while on a road trip. Nice location. Comfortable and clean rooms . It was a little pricey but it was tourist season and motorcyclist coming from Sturgis, so we thought we were lucky to get a room. They provided us a sack breakfast as they can't serve the regular buffet.

The hotel was clean and had very comfortable beds. Cleaning was done differently because of COVID. We were given a sheet to request cleaning. This needed to be hung on the door in the morning. We put our towels in a bag and requested more. The towels were left on the door in a sealed bag. At this hotel you could request vacuuming and new sheets. We did not want those services. The hotel has 2 pools and my daughter was able to swim twice. This is a great, clean affordable hotel in a great location.

Would definitely stay here again. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff was great when we checked in because of Covid they were not serving breakfast but did have option for bagged breakfast

It was VERY GOOD, except the floor was uncarpeted! It was the only one of the six different motels that I stayed at for this year's roadtrip. Also, the t.v. required some figuring out, as no paper guide was available.

We spent the night on our way through from Yellowstone. Great location, very friendly (they even gave us a late checkout because we were having car issues. The pools and spa are wonderful. Clean comfy beds and large room. We will be back!

Spacious clean rooms, lovely grassy park like area in the middle of the property. Wonderful traveling with kids because there was a playground on site and 2 pools (1 indoor, 1 outdoor). Walking distance to Walmart for last minute things we needed before heading into Yellowstone!

As others have said this is an older re-branded Best Western, but don't let that stop you. The parking is right outside the door of your room, which is convenient for loading and unloading. It has an outdoor pool and all the amenities you would expect. Rooms are larger than standard by a long shot, and nicely appointed and clean. Just a block from Bill Cody Museum of the West, and close to downtown. As most places in 2020, breakfast is grab and go bags. Price is more than fair for the area. I would stay here again if ever in Cody for an overnight.

Room was very clean and they are taking COVID-19 very seriously. We had the 2 double beds and it was plenty big enough for the two of us. Bathroom was very big. They have done away with the ugly bedspreads and are now only using white blankets and sheets that can be bleached. Smelled very clean also. I will definitely stay here again. Love that they are all single level.

Way below standards for the price paid. No service, no breakfast even though it says they have one, and a bed that was very poor. At least there were no bugs in the room. Would not stay there again, would find someplace better.

Early July 2020 stay on the way across country. This property has an unassuming exterior, looking like an old school motel with several one story buildings spread out on a large lot with a small pool in the middle. But the rooms are great, seemingly recently renovated and quite modern. Some rooms have an outdoor area with a table and chairs, particularly suitable for eating order out meals if you are tying to maintain COVID distance from other travelers. We also appreciated having direct access to the room from the parking lot without having to walk through the lobby or use an elevator. The housekeeping and all other hotel staff we observed were wearing masks whenever we saw them, and in the morning we observed a large team of housekeepers approaching rooms, all in masks (very impressive, given what we have seen in other properties). Breakfast during COVID times was a prepackaged bag containing a granola bar, muffin and juice. Overall, a well run, great choice in Cody!

This was by far the nicest facility we stayed in on this vacation. They had adjusted well to the COVID restrictions. The room was spacious. There was wood selving for our suitcases, nice furniture with desk, table and chairs plus a large flatscreen TV. Having a second sink outside the bathroom was very nice. There are outdoor tables and a nice pool and gym facility. Hate that this was just a one night stay on our preplanned vacation. Cody has really grown since we visited 10 years ago. The growth includes a much expanded restaurant and shopping opportunity surrounding its great historic sites.

Recently updated rooms with very comfortable beds and free internet. Got a 2 bedroom/2 bath family room. One with 2 queens for kids and one queen for parents. Big outdoor pool, indoor pool and hot tub plus laundry room and gym. Everything was immaculate! Only negative is no in room fridge.

Excellent hotel at a good price. Pleasantly surprised with the updated and clean room, comfy beds, fridge and microwave, indoor and outdoor pools, on site laundry and good WiFi. So close to museum. Great parking. Friendly staff.

We loved the Best Wester Sunset Inn. The indoor and outdoor pools were great. We traveled with our 4 children and the two bedroom three bed room was awesome. This hotel has been kept up to date and was very clean!

We stayed 2 days and nights here. The room was very spacious with a king size bed, love seat and cushioned chair. It had a back patio with patio furniture. Indoor and outdoor pool, laundry room. Very nice and close facilities. The staff were very professional and helpful.

Our room was clean and had the amenities you would expect at a Best Western. We only had a shower stall tucked in the corner of a very small bathroom. The room was rather small as well and square with the bed in the center so we were constantly sliding past each other to get to a suitcase or the refrigerator, etc. The tv was on top of a piece of furniture beside the bed so we had to sit turned to the side to watch it. That was just our layout though and probably not the floor plan of all the rooms (so just fyi). The bed was really comfortable. The front desk and breakfast area staff were really nice. Would recommend it even though it is a little pricey because Cody itself is well worth a visit; just the price you pay in season and it was July 4th week-a big deal there.

We chose this motel based on reviews on tripadvisor. It is located on the main street running through Cody and if you are going or coming from Yellowstone, it is convenient. We found the parking quite tight, the rooms average and very very dark. The bulbs in the room must have been about 40 watts as it was near impossible to read in the evening. The bathroom had the brightest lights and we tried turning them on and sitting closer to the light but the light switch was wired to a very loud exhaust fan so that didn't work out so well. There are a lot of places to stay in Cody. We won't be back to this one.

This large property is located on the south side of town not far from the center of town and all the restaurants. It is an older style motel but clean and comfortable. It's higher priced cousin is across the street but why spend the extra money just to sleep?

The place is fine but is spread out over a large area. I don't think I've ever seen such a big area with just single story rooms. It seems like it covers most of the block so it's a bit of a long walk to the office. Not really a big problem' just noteworthy. We would stay there again if we were in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was provided. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Right next to the Buffalo Bill Museum. Handy for shopping. Friendly staff. We stayed an extra day because of the location to the museum.

After a 7 day/6 night vacation in the Cody, Yellowstone & Grand Teton area, we can honestly say that this Best Western had the best beds, pillows, spacious clean rooms and a deluxe warm continental breakfast.Only glitch was the walk to some units since the hotel is spread on several acres. But well worth the walk in the fresh air of Cody, WY!

This is a simple and well cared for property. Our room had plenty of space, comfortable beds, quality sheets and towels. It's close to downtown Cody, a very short drive to the main street. We would not hesitate to return next time we pass through town.

This a standard, single story, exterior entrance motel. The room was very clean and well maintained. The bed was just average and nothing was really great. Did I mention how clean the room was, because it was very clean. They offer a guest laundry service and have a standard motel breakfast of eggs, meat, cereal, pastries, and juice. I cant comment on the taste as I don't eat breakfast. In all it is a good motel for travelers but not so much for business as it can get noisy during the day.

This hotel accepts pets and that's what we needed. We've stayed here before on our way to Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. It's quiet and the staff are helpful. We had a room in the northern wing which is one level and it was fine.

This is a motel, not a hotel, but don't let that outside appearance fool you. The rooms are very spacious and squeaky clean; better than most hotels that you can stay in. The hot tub is huge and made out of stainless steel. They have free chocolate chip cookies at check in, and the free breakfast is a cut above that of most other hotels. A very pleasant stay!

I liked the fact it was on the main street; literally blocks from restaurants and the Buffalo Bill Center of the Wild West. Travel to and from Yellowstone from here was very easy. The view from just outside our room was beautiful. And I like the patio with table and chairs outside our sliding door. The pool was great; very refreshing and was kept skimmed regularly. Overall, we had a very nice 2 day stay. I would return to this Best Western again if we are out this way.

We had a very large King room. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. The room was reasonably well lit. Wifi was decent. The breakfast was very good. The only downside was the price. Lodging is expensive in Cody. But given the choices, I think that the BW Sunset Inn is a (relatively) good value.

We stayed 1 night on a scenic driving trip. Parking was next to the room, motel style. One lamp was not working. No freezer or safe. No USB ports. Nice half-bath. Good breakfast with an outdoor area as well. 5 minute drive to the main strip in 1 direction or to Wal-Mart in the other direction. Perhaps a bit pricey for the type of property.

This hotel is really great! The layout is like old time motels rather than modern buildings. Loved that we were able to drive right up to our room. There's onsite guest laundry available and breakfast was varied and delicious with indoor and outdoor options. The room is quite spacious with a small dressing area, mini fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Queen size beds. It's got a nice playground and pool. The rooms are the cleanest I've ever experienced, even better than other high-end hotels I've stayed at. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. Overall, very pleased!

We were able to drive right up to the door of our room which made it very convenient. Room was the cleanest of any room we stayed in. The remotes had been cleaned and put in paper sacks. We watched housekeeping clean the room beside us and they took the computer chairs outside and was wiping them down. Three ladies where cleaning everything in the room. Internet was very fast.

Stayed with another couple & had a suite. Had to share the bathroom which wasn't the best but I could see if you had a family the set up would be great. Rooms were small. Only one of the rooms had a frig. The bed/pillows were nice. The breakfast was great!! The inside space was small. Did not have enough room for seating for everyone. They had an outside area set up for breakfast which was nice. Many choices!! There were fresh pancakes every morning. The guy who made them was extremely nice. I'm sorry I didn't get his name cause he deserves recognition for how hard he worked. Alot of traffic noise. Nice place to stay.

Pretty easy to find, check in was quick and easy. We were surprised to see that the rooms are outside access, similar to motel style, but the rooms were large, clean, with comfy beds, quiet. Wifi access worked well, easy to load and unload your luggage when you can park right outside your room. Loved the breakfast, they have an indoor breakfast room and an outdoor space with staff making to-order pancakes. Delicious and good service.

Initially, I was a little nervous to walk into our hotel room based on outside appearance (looked like not the best motel). However, I was pleasantly surprised when going inside the room. Nothing fancy, but has all of the basics you need. After staying in an overpriced hotel in Jackson, I regretted not staying at this hotel for more days than we did. It had everything we needed and more for the right price. Breakfast was amazing in my opinion-hot eggs, meat, cereal, pancakes, fruit, yogurt...what I really want out of a continental breakfast. And the staff went out of their way to assist you at breakfast. Also had a pool and hot tub on site with laundry as well. Keep in mind about an hour drive to yellowstone park, but will most likely take you 3 hours to drive to see any specific landmarks in yellowstone...which, we did not realize when booking. But, we would do it all over again if we had the choice because cody is a very unique, kind, and inexpensive town to stay in and experience! Happy with our stay!

The hotel was one with outside entrances to our room. Wife hates those, but the other Best Western in Cody was so much more expensive, we accepted this one thing. Otherwise the room was large, breakfast was hot and filling and the wifi worked flawlessly. We would stay here again.

Stayed in Cody for a few days after visit to the Big Yellow hotel in Yellowstone. The Cody Best Western Sunset was a pleasant and enjoyable surprise. The property is huge and lovely cottonwoods, green grass, and an indoor and outdoor pool area. It was delightful. We booked a King with patio and the room was clean, large and comfortable. Breakfasts were great and their chocolate chip cookies the best. We enjoyed our two night visit. Easy walk to restaurants and the Museum. Highly recommend.

Feels like it's been around for a while, old style sprawling motel, plenty of parking outside the rooms, breakfast room was quite small for the amount of rooms, we just took food back to the room. Lovely grounds, pool and laundry facilities. Staff all super friendly and helpful with local information.

Arrived late in the day after riding my motorcycle thru Yellowstone all day. There were several people trying to check in at the same time I was. Manager was doing her best to help me but the girl actually checking me in was anything but friendly or accommodating. Property is older but is in good shape, room and furnishings are dated, mattress was fair and AC worked well considering how hot it was.

The staff at this Best Western are exceptional. During our initial check in, we were met with a smile and warm greeting from Susie; the General Manager. Susie allowed us early check in and moved us into a premier room. Susie had a great attitude, was professional and had great communication skills. The rooms are good size and the furnishings are excellent. Beds are firm, but comfortable and all towels and linens are of excellent quality. Toiletries and room supplies are ample. The internet, television and air conditioning work great. This Best Western is located in a great area making access to area attractions and activities effortless. Starting the day off with a good breakfast was an added bonus. The staff in the breakfast area were excellent. Vivennet and Barbara were attentive, fun and went the "extra mile" to ensure that customer needs were met. There is also an outdoor eating area where freshly made blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes were made and cooked to order.

We drove in from Denver and stayed the night before heading into Yellowstone. Cody is a great stop to get what you need before going into the park. We arrived at the Sunset Inn not expecting much, just clean and comfy nights rest after a flight and long drive. Check in was quick and easy, the rooms were good size with great beds. The lobby was clean and fit the feel for Yellowstone. Had indoor and an outdoor pool with a hot tub. The morning breakfast was so above a continental breakfast and made the start for the park on a good note. Fresh made to order pancakes with blueberries. The whole experience made us change our return home plans at a halfway point and decided to rebook the last night of our stay at the Sunset and make the full drive back to Denver.

This is an old place. Don't let that bother you. Everything is up-to-date. Large compound, everything is outside entrance on a single level. Extras - Want to wash your car while staying? Hose, rags, soap, buckets all outside and available 24/7.

We only stayed one night, and did not use the pool, but the room was excellent, clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent, several hot dishes, cereals, fruit,yogurt and pancakes, all fresh. There were at least 4 staff members looking after the breakfast area. It's an older motel-style hotel but well kept. The beds were a bit older and firmer than I like, but still slept well.

Clean rooms, great indoor and outdoor pool, nice exercise facility, friendly staff, nice clean large rooms, great hot breakfast with many options. Staff was update on all the happenings in town. Great location.

Bed sheets were thin . Felt like a pile of rags. The bed was too springy like a trampoline. I liked the room it was nice and clea . Two sinks 1 inside bathroom 1 outside. Breakfast was not goo . Rubber eggs

We always try to stay at Best Western anytime we travel so when we were late coming into Cody, Wyoming it was the only place I called and as always they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They even gave a little extra discount because it was after 9 pm when we arrived. The following morning they not only had there good continental breakfast but also had set up to cook specialty pancakes on a grill under a pavilion outside. All of the staff at this hotel went above and beyond the normal to treat us like special guest!

Not bad motel. Friendly service the staff give information about rerstaurants and what is happening in the town, quick check in and out. Easy to find. Free wifi, parking and breakfast. The room was ok, equipped with fridge, tv and aircon.

Very accommodating and close to some interesting sights. Very comfortable room and a very good breakfast. excellent service. I highly recommend a stay here on any of your travels be they business or pleasure.

This hotel may be a little older one but it was very nice and clean. Excellent front desk staff. Quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with the option of pancakes cooked on the outdoor patio. I love staying at Best Western when we travel.

Superb overnight stay! Especially the free breakfast served either in the inside dining room or outside under the pergola. Made to order pancakes with add-ins, such as blueberries and chocolate chips along with the usuals. Comfortable rooms, quiet environment, indoor and outdoor pools.

We were greeted by a friendly desk staff who gave us a good briefing. This is an older motel, but it is very well maintained and the rooms are updated. There are several building in a campus-style setting with large shade trees surrounding the pools. Breakfast was about the best you will get at motel with DIY breakfast. Lots of breakfast options including pancakes cooked on the outdoor patio. I would stay there again if in the area.

Our stay here was great. Very clean, quiet, and close to everything. Breakfast was very good. Even had an outside pavillion with breakfast there as well. A nice addition. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I was a bit hesitant in booking into an "older" drive-up style motel, but was pleasantly surprised! This hotel has been so well maintained and while it is older, don't let that stop you! It was so nice to park right outside the room and unload, not having to deal with an elevator. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the laundry room clean with several machines, and the breakfast was OUTSTANDING. The inside breakfast area gets really crowded, but they have added another outside area under a pergola that is really nice, with the same food as inside. Really nice!

This hotel was clean, quiet, and had friendly staff. Check in/out was simple and fast. The breakfast was outstanding. The dining area was a little cramped but staff kept the tables cleared and ready for the next customer. The food choices were awesome! Real eggs, bacon, and potatoes, pancakes were served at the outdoor dining area. The coffee was fresh, the juices were not watered down, and there were also vegetarian options available, fruit, yogurt, and granola.

This was a very nice hotel, with clean rooms, and had good breakfast. The location was great, at the edge of downtown, and only a couple mile to the rodeo. The only part that could use improvement was the price, at $150 a night, it is a bit pricey.

This little motel is so much better than I expected it to be. It is the older single story "motor court" type motel that I remember from my childhood...but don't let that fool you. It's been nicely updated. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The 2 ladies that checked us in where beyond welcoming and even had chocolate chip cookies for us. Every single employee that we encountered went out of there way to make us feel at home. We had breakfast outside under their covered patio area. They had a really nice selection of pastries, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, bacon and the made to order pancakes were a nice touch. Everything was delicious. This is a budget friendly motel for this area and we so enjoyed our stay. Their employees are a real asset to them.

Located on edgeof town on road out to Yellowstone. Large everything, room, bed and bathroom. Park right outside your room door. Friendly staff, quick check in and out. Breakfast was good, plenty of variety and started at 6a.m., so good for an early start.

Best Western was recommended to me as a chain you could count on for consistent quality and standards. That was totally true for me. Suggestions: more outlets which is generally true for most hotels and I did not like the style of toilet paper holder. Minor stuff.

The complimentary breakfast was off the hook! Rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. I was not expecting much considering that most hotels that offer a free breakfast are not something that are worth writing home about. Not here, the guy making pancakes was a nice touch as well.

NIce, well kept motel right in the heart of Cody. Only a couple of blocks from the Buffalo Bill Museum and mabye 5 blocks from downtown so we were able to walk to supper every night we were there. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Nice grounds and most of the units are well back from the street. Having said that there are some units that are much closer to the street and I suspect noise could be an issue there. This is an older motel so you can enter your room directly from the parking lot and can also park close to your door, which is nice; not too many of those places left these days. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for 1 nite and it was wonderful. We had a 2 room suite with 3 queen beds and 2 Bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable and we all slept great! Easy access in the rooms! Kids had fun in the pools and hot tub. There are several washers and dryers to use. Breakfast was great under the pergola. Hot eggs, bacon pancakes made to order, yogurt etc! Would for sure stay at this hotel! They do a wonderful job!

Motorcycle trip averaging 500 plus miles a day for 8 days and we were usually tired and just wanting our room and a meal we could walk to. The reception got us checked in quickly and efficiently, showed us where we could wash our motorcycles and gave us some options for dinner. Before dinner I went to the indoor pool and hot tub and relaxed. Breakfast was a treat on the porch outside with made to order pancakes, fresh fruit and other delicious items. I will definitely stay here again if I'm out this way.

location was great. able to walk to many things. outside breakfast offering was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and helpful answering any questions. Many amenities that were perfect. laundry, outside and inside pool, breakfast, etc.

This is an older property that is nicely kept up, the property is a bit spread out so finding your room initially can be a challenge. I wish there were more open electrical outlets available near the bed, we had to unplug the clock in order to plug in medical devices. There are a lot of restaurants within a mile of the hotel The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to restaurant recommendations.

We stayed here for a week with our two kids (9&11). Great place for kids with the outdoor pool and indoor pool and hot tub. Rooms were spotless. Front desk, pool, housekeeping, and breakfast staff all very friendly. We would stay here again without a question!

This is right near Buffalo Bill museum and the DQ for ice creams. We stayed here a week and breakfast was good. You have a pergola you can eat outside or inside. Amazing town with great people and plenty to do.

This property was made up of several buildings. The room was clean and up to date. Checkin was quick, staff was friendly. It's a little hike to get coffee in the lobby. The same goes for breakfast. It was very crowded so we left and ate on the road. Pool was in a different building. It was clean and plenty of towels. Not sure if we would stay there again, because of the distance to the lobby.

My family and I were all very pleased with this facility. The beds were very comfortable, rooms spacious and well kept, customer service exceptional. Laundry was easily accessible, and my boys had a great time using the pool. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding! There were at least three staff members consistently taking care of everything, the coffee was fresh and hot, and options were plenty. They even had fresh blueberries and raspberries as a topping - I was thrilled.

I'm currently staying in the very nice property and its amenities are quite nice. The bar is a great place to socialize and I enjoyed a fine meal in the adjacent restaurant. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and spotless. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

The staff was nice but the layout was unique. No second level rooms which made it nice that no one was walking on our ceiling. The walls are a little thin and you can hear conversations and everything else. The room was nice and clean. I think the other issue was that they had a window AC unit instead of a larger system so that was unique too. Price was good and we were there for one night.

The room was big and clean. The problems were AC didn't work, all the phones were unplugged and no usb for cell phones and few wall plugs. The front decks sent a person over with a box fan and fixed the phones.

We stayed two nights! Everyone was helpful. We had a little difficulty connecting to the Internet with I-pad. Front desk was very helpful. Our room was immaculate. The beds were excellent. The AC work efficiently and quietly. Our girls used the indoor pool both nights and had a great time! Thank you for a most enjoyable stay! Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Would stay again.

We had a large group in town for a family event. Everyone had a good time and there was plenty of space to get together and relax at the end of the day. The staff was very helpful. If your staying in the area to see the local attractions I would highly recommend this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Thanks so much from our entire family!

We reserved two rooms for family. These were King Bed rooms. Large and comfortable. Drive in type of motel we were able to park in front of the room. Large open grassy areas in the facility including a nice pool, guest laundry and a pergola out front where you can bring your eats. Some folks ate breakfast there. A nice breakfast each morning. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, whether on the front desk, breakfast room or the cleaning staff.

Loved it so nice clean, atmosphere was nice out side and in..the laundry, pool just everthing was nice. The only thing the bed was squeaky and felt every move my husband made. But will stay again.love this place go evry other year and will be are go to place.

My Cody stay was excellent. I recommend a full day just to visit the Center of the West museum. It could actually be broke up into a two day visit as it is a world class museum. The park is amazing of course.

We were travelling to Yellowstone and stopped here overnight. The hotel is well positioned near the centre of Cody. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We found the bedroom very small and the decor a bit tired. Breakfast was below that of other Best Westerns we had stayed in. Pretty average hotel but is ok if you are passing through Cody.

Spent a week here for our visit to Yellowstone NP and a sporting competition for our son. Comfy bed and everything was clean. Best surprise was our second day with the towel elephant animal on our son's bed. Now granted, he just graduated for HS, be he got a kick out of the animal. Reminded us of our time on a cruise ship. Breakfast was good. The do mix it up a bit with pancakes at the outside sitting area. Maybe waffles and made to order eggs could be added. Price starting to get a bit pricey, but this is a tourist town during the start of tourist season. We would recommend this location.

We stopped here after checking a few other hotels. We had a group of 12, and rented the small house/cottage, it was amazing. Very CLEAN and slept all of us comfortably! Everyone at this hotel was friendly, guest and employees! Highly recommend!

After a full day in Yellowstone we stopped for the night in Cody, WY. We chose the Best Western Sunset Inn & was so pleased with this Hotel. Very friendly & cozy room, great breakfast with many choices. Worth the stop,don't hesitate on this hotel!

This was a great hotel the staff is very nice and it's a cute little town and I always dreamed of going to Wyoming so we went and I was so happy and excited but we had to drive back so that was the downfall

The room was clean. Even the TV remote had been sanitized. The staff was efficient and friendly, especially during the busy breakfast. The breakfast was excellent--good variety of hot foods. The grounds were neat and attractive. All rooms are on the level so that is convenient.

it was a good experience. the motel was clean and the employees were very friendly. the rooms were nice and comfortable. the only negative was the t.v. . it didn't pick up a lot of channels and wasn't high definition, but everything else was great.

Staff is Friendly, Courteous, and Accommodating. We had booked a room for 4 months ago but added a fifth traveler at the last minute.....wasn't a problem! They gave us a larger suite with 2 rooms and 3 beds that was very comfortable and quiet and the beds were awesome. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip (seven states so far) actual eggs and sausage and real home fried potatoes! Can't beat it! Thank you to the folks at this hotel, wish we could have stayed longer!

Easy check in with friendly staff. Parking directly outside your front door. The room was clean and very quite noise wise for a great nights sleep. A little dark once inside so we had to keep on the lights, it also had a handy fridge. On site out door pool and laundry. You could easily drive from Cody to Yellowstone East Entrance in around 40 miles and go to the best bits in two visits. Near by fast food and a Walmart.

The motel is fairly old but the place is very neat and well kept. The staff is very friendly and offers good advice about where to eat and what to do in Cody. This is a single story motel and you park right outside your room, which we like. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We loved staying here one night before staying in Yellowstone for two nights. The location was ideal, with easy walking distance downtown & a quick drive to the Rodeo, which is a must-do! (our 3rd time & best yet) The exterior is laid out well with lots of green spaces & two nice pools. Laundry room was wonderful. The rooms have outside doors you drive up to, and our room was quite spacious. Everything was nicely updated & very clean. We like an occasional drive up room for reorganizing our vehicle on 3+ week road trips. WiFi worked fine but we try to stay off our phone when on vacation, especially in the wonderful west. Breakfast was definitely a cut above most BWs and we enjoyed being outside on a lovely mountain morning. I would have no hesitation staying again & sincerely hope to soon!

This property is very large, but the units are amazingly quiet and well scattered with a large outdoor covered bbq and gathering area, children's playground area and ample greenspace areas under mature trees. The location was just perfect with access in any direction to the areas important attractions.

Rooms are motel style. Poor insulation. Dark rooms and poor lighting.. Cleaning OK Shower OK. Breakfasts could not cope with number of guests, very cramped. Very poor wifi (this is just this hotel, as it was super swift in the museum and bars ) Quite a long walk to downtown too. Staff were pleasant enough.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting the area and were disappointed with the quality of accommodation which was dark, dingy and not very well cleaned. The exceptionally poor Wifi signal also meant we had to go to reception every time we wanted to send or receive anything. We found the staff pleasant but they gave the impression they didn't really care about us or our stay.

Intesting layout. The staff we had contact with were very nice. Breakfast was meh, weird texture to the eggs and the bacon was limp and chewy. Everything else was decent. Room was nice and spacious, good pool, and guest laundry available.

The location of this hotel is good, and it's easy to get to activities, shopping, and restaurants. We found our room to be very clean and nicely appointed. The refrigerator worked well. We especially appreciated the excellent, very clean laundry facility. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a room that was in the back and it was nice and quiet. Nice sized room that we parked right in front of which made it easy to carry in our luggage. The breakfast was good. The food was hot with a lot of choices. Check and out went well with not waiting and the staff was very nice even being able to suggest places to eat, drink and shop! We will stay there again if in the area!

Older BW and if our room was typical, have to be the smallest we've ever stayed in at a BW. If you have an SUV or truck, parking a bit tight. Cannot turn on the light in the bathroom without the ceiling vent going on and noisy enough to be an air raid warning device. Complimentary breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, even for a BW.

This is a Motel where one can park right in front of your room. We stayed in a 2 bedrooms suite, but the room was kind of dark and not spacious at all. The bathroom was very noisy when the light was turned on. But it was just a passing through to go to Yellowstone and it is near the city center. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate with some varieties.

This motel has been in Cody awhile, but it has been updated very well. It is quaint, and friendly! The rooms are not spacious but quite adequate! Everything you might need is in your room. And the grounds and amenities are very nice. Lovely pool. The breakfast is good. The bed is comfortable. Would stay there again.

We spent the night at the Best Western Sunset Inn & were very happy with our stay. The room was a nice size, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable & the free breakfast was very good, with adequate choices. We'd stay at this hotel again.

This was pretty much a place to sleep before going to Yellowstone. We felt that the price was a little more than it should have been. I have stayed in Hawaii with a balcony overlooking Waikiki beach and diamond head for less. It was clean but nothing special.

We stayed one night and were pleased with the room. This is a motel where you park in front of your room like the hotels of long ago. The room was updated and very nice. It was nice not having to lug our baggage through a lobby and up the elevator. They serve a nice breakfast from 6-9 but it seemed we all decided to eat at the same time overwhelmingly the staff and seating area. Overall this is a very nice hotel.

Spacious rooms , great indoor pool and hot tub . Very nice fitness center. There is a breakfast included but there was not sufficient seating. Overflow seating was outside across the driveway from the main desk. We left and bought breakfast at a local place.

We were visiting Yellowstone National Park on a coastal journey across the states and due to the high price of hotels within the Park we decided to stay in Cody. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and gave us suggestions for dinner and also road routes to and from the park. Definitely would recommend this hotel to others and well worth the cost.

The overall appearance of the Best Western Plus hotel was better than I expected upon checkin. Rooms are comfortable and have the amenities needed , such as a iron, hair dryer and ironing board., safe. There were a few odd things I noticed, the closet is behind a mirror door, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in large dispensers in the shower rather than small bottles usually found.

Great staff throughout the whole facility. We really enjoyed our stay here. Itvis very ose to the museum and lots CV of stores and goodies to see along the way. At dinner, try the 8 Ivy restaurant at the CV other BW. Great food!!

We were visiting family in Cody WY and tried the Best Western Sunset Inn. Loved our room. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast as it was different every morning that we were there. We will stay there again and definitely recommend this Best Western Sunset Inn.

This is an older style motel--single level, exterior doors. Our room was large and comfortable, but seemed a bit dated. The breakfast, served in the lobby, was decent, but there is just not enough room for the number of guests, at least in the summer. The staff members were friendly and efficient. The best thing about it is the location. It's an easy block to the museum, and the very touristy downtown is not much further. The price was on the steep side, even for a tourist area, given what you get.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed/pillows. For the price of this hotel, I expected more. Curtains were ripped and there was a musty odor in our room. Definitely needs some updates but overall our stay was good.

We were a bit worried upon pulling up to this hotel based on looks. I choose this over the best western premiere which is basically right across the street based on orgers' Reviews and the breakfast sounded better. We arrived very late at night, slept, ate breakfast (which was decent) and were off again so we did not make much use of the property. Room was clean, beds comfy. Would stay again.

Loved this hotel. We stayed here based on other TripAdvisor recommendations and we were not disappointed at all. Very nice room, wonderful breakfast. The grounds were meticulous. Laundry room spotless and has nice, reasonably priced machines. Wonderful outdoor seating area and we sat and had the lovely breakfast outside and enjoyed watching all the different vehicles, campers, bikes go by. Great location.

Not the kind of place you'd rave about, but it was recently refreshed, beds were comfortable and linens/towels were typical hotel quality. Was there for a popular annual event and perhaps for that reason prices were elevated beyond actual value. New, covered patio was a nice place to enjoy a drink with its pleasant surroundings. Ten of us stayed here. As always Best Western exceeds my expectations. Rooms are clean beds are perfect. Beautiful courtyard. A pergola with a fireplace for outdoor sitting. And if you need your bike washed they have all the supplies for you to wash it.

This was our second trip to Cody! We love staying here. The breakfast is wonderful, the location is perfect and it's pet friendly! We did have a couple bumps in our reservations this time. Our rooms were not reserved as pet rooms--this was probably and error with the booking company we used. Our rooms were not able to be side by side and in fact were on opposite ends of each other since only one pet room was available. Our pet had to stay with the rest of our family since she was not allowed in our room. If you use a booking company--make sure you check directly with the hotel. We also were charged more than we were quoted but I was told this was still below the current rates--not a great answer but we do love this place and the staff is still mostly friendly. The breakfast is awesome and you can even enjoy it outside on the patio in the morning. The pool is nice and clean and there is a small playground. Lots of areas to walk your pet, and pet stations. It's within walking distance of DQ, Sierra Trading and a little further walk is the museum. Another great stay! Thanks.

We will stay here again when we come to town. Nice rooms. We had a pet friendly room so the floor was a nice wood laminate. The hot tub was nice and holds 10+ people. Indoor and outdoor pool. Nicely decorated and seemed like a higher end motel/inn. A little expensive but was told everything was inflated in Cody during the summer. You can park right by your room so that is nice if you have a pickup bed loaded down. Highly recommend.

Motel is older but well maintained. Nice to be able to back up to the door and unload the car. Clean and quiet with nice pools and guest laundry. 5 stars except breakfast area too crampt and crowded and breakfast ends too early.

our stay at best western was really good. good beds, pillows, room. the room was quiet and fresh. the bathroom was clean and had lots of towels for our family of four. They had a pool inside and outside which was fun. The hot tub needs steps to enter it though.

I booked a long room easy early. Due to lack of maintenance that they were aware of, they did not have a king room. They said they "Upgraded" us to a queen, because we had more square footage! I SLEEP IN THE BED, NOT THE FLOOR! The manager, Susie would not adjust the price of our room since we had so much square footage. DON'T STAY HERE!

Spent 2 nights at the hotel last week as we saw the sights in the area. The hotel was clean, spacious, and all in all pretty nice for an older facility. I personally don't care for the beds (too soft) or the pillows (too hard). but I would probably stay there again. Cody is a nice town and the Best Western is near most of the action. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was quiet.

We stayed here one night on a recent road trip. We were very happy with our choice. The reception desk was full of friendly, happy employees. It's always nice to be met with a smile. Our room was nice.....clean, good mattress, good size bathroom. Internet was good. There are two pools at this motel....an indoor and an outdoor. Both very nice, but especially the outdoor pool! I can definitely recommend this place to,stay in Cody.

We liked stay for 3 nights. Our unit was away from the road & very clean. Our bed was great & there was 2 sinks. Our first unit had 2 separate rooms & no seating area. So the hotel gladly & quickly gave us a unit we really liked. Their breakfast was well managed with good choices.

Since is it so hard to get a room in the park I chose Cody, the facilites were great and i loved the town, very nice, we even went to the rodeo. We also stopped by the old town and had a meal at the local establishment then drove back and forth to the park. It was a very nice trip

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay at the BW Sunset Inn. We stayed 4 nights. We mainly spent our daytime visiting Yellowstone and the Cody area during the day and used the hotel mainly to sleep in. The hotel is dated from the outside but the rooms were spacious and clean. There was a patio area with furniture out the rear patio doors and the hotel had both outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Part of the hotel is made of small buildings which had 3 rooms side by side. The back of each room led to a patio area with grass beyond that. This gave us the feeling of having our own little

We weren't expecting much because there was another but more expensive BW nearby. That said we were totally surprised and pleased to find a wonderfully large room that was neat and very clean. This place was older but well kept. Breakfast was also a treat with omelets, sausages and French toast slices along with the usual bread, pastries and beverages. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay.

Stayed at Best Western sunset inn on our way to Yellowstone National Park . Close to the vistor center and CBD. Rooms are decent size .very clean and family friendly place. Decent selection in breakfast buffet.

We found small bugs crawling all over the bed and pillows. We requested a different room. Didn't find any bugs in the second room. Mattress was old and needed to be replaced. There is an outdoor pool which was nice.

Best Western Sunset Inn was the first place we have ever stayed where the pools were actually warm enough to be in and be comfortable and enjoy swimming. The property has been updated well and the room was very clean. The breakfast had more than just cereal and muffins to choose from which increased the value. The location was great, easy in and out to Yellowstone.

We stayed at the Best Western Sunset Inn 2 nights. Great location, friendly staff, clean & comfortable. Two pools, one indoor. Nice area, we walked to a couple nearby stores. Easy to get to “downtown” Cody. Would stay here again.

We only spent 1 night in Cody, wish we had more time to spend in this town. When pulling in at the hotel I was a little skeptical but the stay was great. Very friendly staff, very charming room with kinda of frontier feel. Room was clean and very comfortable. Pool was very nice, they have both indoor and out door pools. Breakfast was great. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Location was great. Just a short drive from the Walmart and from downtown. Very walkable area even if it was just walking around the parking lot to get your steps in. Dairy Queen was a short walk from the hotel for ice cream. Facility was nice. Enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and large Jacuzzi. Rooms were big and and spacious, but a little outdated. There was a musty odor when we first opened the door, but nothing that a can of Lysol or air freshener couldn't improve. The biggest plus was the breakfast. Different selection every morning. Vending and ice machine area was centrally located, but door was hard to open and it slams shut. There were thirty of us in a group and it was accommodating.

Stopped here for one night in June. Easy to find.Reception staff very helpful our room was not quite ready as we were early so they put us in another room. Did not stay for breakfast the following morning as ready to explore the area. The room was spacious although quite dark found it difficult so see a TV picture some of the time. Beds comfortable and room very clean.

This is a little older Hotel but the rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly they had a nice breakfast and we're really close to the Buffalo Bill Museum would recommend this hotel to anyone.

When we pulled up to the hotel I was not convinced - but I was wrong to have any hesitations - although it is more like a motel than hotel as you pull your car up right in front of your room - it is very clean and nice! We had never stayed in a place like this and I actually laughed when I saw it. The pool is terrific and the landscaping was quit pretty. We were in the middle of a cross country our and needed to do laundry and they had a very nice laundry room. Breakfast was good. Rooms were large.

We stayed here for one night and paid over $200 (we have pets). At check in, we needed the name of the room changed. The attendant seemed really bothered with having to assist with this, which made me uncomfortable. But she did successfully help us, which we appreciate. The room was a good size, with a mix of updated amenities and outdated ones. However the bed was awful. Every time we moved, it creaked and groaned. It was a very old mattress but we got in so late we didn't want to ask to change rooms. When I let the front desk know at checkout, they just made a note of it. I'm sorry, but for $200 plus a night - please have nice mattresses. :( Breakfast was good. Everything else was decent. It's an older building with one floor, and our dogs were accepted, which was the main priority.

I feel bad about writing a negative review but this room had a foul smell, broken sewage pipe essence. Otherwise the hotel grounds were well maintained and the pool was nice. There were some upgrades to the room interior, thank you but room 140 not good, sorry.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room with two double beds was big. Indoor and outdoor pools were great for kids. Although I've never done laundry on vacation, we needed clean clothes after spending several days in Yellowstone. Large laundry room was really clean and machines were efficient. Free breakfast and close to Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Would stay again.

Stayed at this hotel last week. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I would stay here again. They didn't charge an arm and a leg for the room.

We really enjoyed staying here. When we pulled up we thought it looked like any other motel, but when we opened our door we got a surprise. We had a lovely two room suite, so we had a sitting room completely separate from the bedroom. We also had a hallway which insulated us from the traffic noise. There was lots of storage space and we were very comfortable, could have stayed a week. One annoying thing was the fan in the bathroom. It came on when you turned the light on in the outer bit of the bathroom, where the handbasin is situated. So if you were just washing your hands, or making a coffee, the noisy fan and light came on behind the closed door in the bathroom. Seemed a poor design. Excellent laundry room, never seen so many machines in a hotel laundry room. The breakfast room needs some sorting out. It was very badly laid out so that people had to keep criss-crossing the room to go from cereals to milk for example, and the toaster was crammed into a corner where it caused congestion. The room was about half the size it needed to be for so many guests.

I was unsure of what the room would be like, but the room was large with 3 chairs including the desk chair. Two sinks and a bench outside the bathroom made getting ready a breeze. best laundry facility and fitness cemetery of any motel or hotel I've been to. It was quiet and peaceful. We never made it to the pools but it looked great.

We had 3 rooms for our family trip...chose this place for the Hot breakfast and price...and it was just what we needed...spacious....nice indoor pool and hot tub...but the breakfast was by far the best I've had in a chain hotel..... WisAIR from Wisconsin

Stayed one night between Buffalo and Yellowstone N.P. The hotel is well situated near centre of town but set back from road so no noise. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The facilities including outdoor pool and laundry are good. The motel is a short drive from the rodeo stadium which we went to in the evening. The only downside was in the evening we saw a large coach load of Chinese arrive. Having been to China we knew there would be a scrum from the breakfast. We went for breakfast at 6.30am when it opened but unfortunately the coach party got there first. There was no food left and the coffee machine had been emptied due to them filling their flasks and taking food to take out.

Our stay here was enjoyable. Breakfast had the standards (bagels, muffins, etc), plus warm cooked eggs/sausage/potatoes, and a good selection of cereal/juice/yogurts. Beds were comfortable. Great staff. Lots of parking - we literally parked right outside our door, making unloading/loading our luggage a breeze.

Just the nicest people and the hotel is clean and comfortable!!! They can't seem to do enough to make you happy!! Our dog preferred their dog bed to ours!!! It is perfectly located near the amazon Buffalo bill historical center..a must see

I admit, I am a hotel snob, so when I booked this for the incredible price close to Yellowstone, I wasn't sure what to expect. We arrived and i was so very surprised! This place is super clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly! I will definitely stay here again and will refer all my friends here! The housekeepers made the animals out of towels giving that luxury hotel feel for a simple price. Great hotel, clean, good room with plenty of amenities. About 1.5 hours to Yellowstone, but the scenic drive is worth it!

This motel is a throw back to your childhood. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Indoor and outdoor pools. Our room was recently updated. The location is close to restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend it.??

Hotel rooms are a bit dated and small, but it's a clean hotel and reasonably priced. Located within a 5 minute walk from restaurants. Good internet, nice people and a decent breakfast. Value for money is ok.

We were well treated in this older but like new Best Western and loved the hot free breakfast and helpful people like Sue in registration. Very, very clean, very quiet. Close to anything in the town of West Yellowstone and right on top of entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We arranged two tours from here for the two loops of the Park. Excellent tours as well by knowledgable and neat guides.

Clean, comfortable rooms; exceptionally good services from desk and breakfast workers. Its quiet and seems safe. Pleasant experience overall. Location is rather far from east and northeast entrances to Yellowstone Park; and the distances from entrance to popular spots are long. But the drive is interesting and its where we saw most of the animals we saw.

Nice, clean motel. Quiet with no problems during stay. We were there just overnight, so didn't get to try out fitness room. Breakfast was good, but room was a little crowded for the number of units they have. Could use a larger space for breakfasts.

We appreciated that this kind of old style motel was just one story and that we could park right in front of our room. Everything was clean. The remotes even had their own bags! There are 2 pools, spa with towels and a playground. This is a large property. It's on the way out of town towards Yellowstone and not far from Buffalo Bill Center of the West. We enjoyed the breakfast but the area is rather small and the place was crowded. They offered fried eggs which we had not seen before for a "free" offering besides potatoes O'Brien, sausage and all of the other stuff. Great experience!

When our two week's Western Trip turned sour in Rapid City, SD due to unexpected heavy crowds with "Bike Week", and after the Northeastern Wyoming I-90 Visitor's Center redirected us to several new experiences in Wyoming, we cancelled two days of visiting in SD and jumped at the chance to see more of Wyoming. We immediately called the two BWs in Cody, WY in order to secure lodging before eventually heading the 395 miles on mostly two lane roads to Cody that night. The two BW's in Cody are under the same BW franchise ownership, and both had openings despite the late date change in plans. We chose the BW Sunset Inn mostly due to price considerations, which were quite different between the two -- one (Ivy) much higher because the property is relatively new and upscale, and the other (Sunset) quite more economical due to its older and smaller property. Never-the-less, Sunset proved to be centrally located, clean, offered free parking in front with outside entrances, and the people were very accommodative to booking two nights despite peak season for them. The rooms are on one floor, handicap accessible, and adjacent to several dining establishments (and right next door to a DQ!). We were very pleased with this quiet motel which is built perpendicular to a busy main thoroughfare through Cody, near the Yellowstone exit from the city. The staff readily and often helped direct us to our interested locales in the area.

i booked a room for a stop off at Yellowstone on my move from Chicago to Seattle using hotels.com. as i was moving i had both my dog and a uhaul to deal with. i booked a dog friendly room which was slightly more expensive than the standard rooms but i have no issue with that. the problem was that when i got there i had to pay for an additional $27.25 as a pet fee, i found this strange since i paid more for a pet friendly room at a pet friendly hotel already but it was late and i was tired from a day of driving so i just paid for it. i then let them know i had a uhaul and trailer and would not be able to fit in one one of the available spots outside of the rooms without blocking traffic. they had me park on the road next to the hotel by a dentists office which they said would be fine because "they own it", again i was tired and just accepted it. there was no issue parking there but it was unnerving leaving everything i own on a dark street blocked by the pool room so it cannot be seen by the hotel at all. the room was nice and we had no issue there. the pool room was also nice and had a hot tub that was permanently stuck on full jets and bubbles which was actually nice since you did not have to get out and push a button to restart the machine. we left in the morning to continue on the drive to Seattle. about a month later i went through and was reviewing expenses for the trip and noticed i was charged that additional $27.25 twice on two separate days 9-29-17 and 10-02-17 even though we only stayed on the night of 9-27-17. i called the hotel to clarify the additional charge and was told it was normal and was an "authorization charge" and one of the charges would be refunded to me. it is now 11-21-17 and the charge has still not been refunded to my account. my wife has reached out and emailed best western corporate support and they have yet to email us back. An off season stay at a best western hotel that was supposed to cost $153.05 is now up to $207.55 and a large headache.

We sooo appreciate a dog friendly hotel. The room is large and beds were comfortable. The landscaping was well kept and provided privacy. Parking located outside room so very convenient Close to museum and shopping. Perfect location with friendly staff. Great breakfast and well appointed room. Thanks for a great night!

Bear tooth Pass was closed so we had to try to enter Yellowstone from the East. This area is pricey but this hotel turned out to be a good alternative given the circumstances. Breakfast area was really crowded yet food was good. Sleep quality was good.

Good comfortable motel situated 15 minutes walk out of town but 5 minutes to Buffalo Bill museum. It has a indoor and out door pool, there is also a hot tub but this was not filled while we were there. Usual fayre at breakfast and again free. Staff friendly and helpful 24 hour reception.

This was a 10-day vacation beginning in Salt Lake City and ending in S Dakota. We were originally scheduled to spend 1 night in this hotel as kind of a stopover between Yellowstone and Rapid City, but we didn't really care for our hotel in Jackson Hole and wanted to be closer to Yellowstone. We ended up checking out early from our hotel in Jackson Hole and extended our stay in Cody to 3 nights. Unfortunately, mother nature threw a monkey wrench in our plans and the roads in Yellowstone were closed due to snow. We were diverted north to Montana. It wasn't until later in the evening that we finally got cell service and I was able to call the Best Western and let them know we couldn't make it. They did not charge me for the night! We checked in the next afternoon, and we were put in a suite. I don't know if this was because AAA booked the hotel or if it was because the hotel was relatively empty or if I recently because a rewards member, but whatever the reason we loved it!!! There were thermostats in all of the rooms, including the bathroom, and tv's in both the living room and bedroom. We were also provided a Wifi password upon check-in. My only complaint about the room was that there were no extra blankets. That's it! The only other issue I had was at breakfast. The bottom of the biscuits were hard as a rock. The only issue my boyfriend had was the lock on the door to the indoor pool. This was a great hotel and we wished more of our vacation was spent at this hotel, and Cody as well. It was a beautiful city with gorgeous scenery, and we wished we would have had time to take in what the city had to offer. We definitely plan to return to Cody and to this Best Western. Since returning home, my boyfriend and I have both said that after spending a couple days in a suite, we don't know if we could stay in a "regular" hotel room again. ;)

The Best Western Sunset Inn is a good choice for a stay in Cody. It's a short walk away from Sheridan Ave where most of the restaurants and shops are located and the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. You can park right outside your room which features a fridge, microwave, Standard Definition TV, Air Con and free Wi-Fi, but no safe. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of nice options: eggs, sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, cereals, bread, bagels, yoghurt and fruit. The breakfast seating area is small though.

We used this hotel has a launching point for two days in Yellowstone; even though it is about an hour from the park and 2-1/2 hours from Old Faithful. It is motor hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The complimentary breakfast was good and it is close to other fast food restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. If I had a choice between the two Best Westerns in Cody; I would pick this one as I feel it is of better value.

The rooms were clean and included refrigerator and microwave. Pool and hot tub were in great condition and a highlight for kids. Full continental breakfast made getting on the road easier in the morning. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time in Cody.

If you are traveling with a pet, this is a great hotel. There is lots of grass to walk the dog. And the grounds are beautiful. They also have a large guest laundry facility. The only issue we had was the size of the bathroom for a handicapped person. The door to the bathroom is small and not adequate for a wheelchair, even a small wheelchair.

Room was dirty, tub/shower was clogged - staff said no one else had complained. Finally they sent out a maintenance person to unclog the drain. Cleaning person never did clean the dirt lines on the tub during out stay - complained, and no one cared. Breakfast selection was cold and old. No fitted sheets, and King bottom sheet just sat on top of the bed, so whenever you moved the sheet moved with you. Run far away from this hotel!

This hotel is a very good value for your money. It's new and has very good quality amenities. Breakfast offers a wide variety of hot and cold items. The room was very nice and still has that "new" feeling.

Moved here from another place in town that was really bad. Room looked to be recently updated - like new. Everything in very good condition. Bed and bath clean and comfortable. Excellent service. The towel critters were a nice touch. Nice friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the BW Sunset while traveling through Cody. It was a good stop - the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was nice to have on a hot day. The breakfast had many offerings and the overall stay worked out well for us. The only negative would be the noise from the room air conditioner. But it's better than not having any AC. Good stay for our needs.

I love the BW Sunset Inn. I have been staying there for 20 +years and don't even consider any place else. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The location is perfect for access to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, the sweet town of Cody, and it is on the way to Yellowstone National Park. The staff is friendly and helpful. Like I said the best place to stay in Cody.

Cody is a beautiful location and the BW setting with the hills and view of the surroundings was Awesome. Our check went well, the room was nice, especially the outside openings of the rooms directly to the outside, made the stay even better, in my opinion. The desk clerks recommendation to eat at the restaurant was helpful . Overall we loved this location and especially now since we've stayed at another location BW Plus(Greenwood Village Denver Tech Center) BW Plus. The only thing have noticed among these BW's and other hotels is when the hotel lies with distance of National or State Parks they raise the hotel prices.

this was an excellent place to stay for the three nights we were in Cody. staff was very friendly and helpful. rooms were exceptional - very clean and everything well organized. breakfast was good, but on the biscuits and gravy - the gravy was cold.

While the staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was adequate, the bed pillows were too small to serve as a sleeping pillow. The quality of the breakfast was below average with options that were neither tasty nor appealing.

This Best Western was a great hotel on the way to Yellowstone. Our room was clean, with a microwave and refrigerator. The king bed was very comfortable. There was a great chair and ottoman in the corner and a desk for my laptop. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower was great. The hotel is walking distance to Buffalo Bill's Center of the West and to the downtown shops and restaurants. The staff is very accommodating. The continental breakfast was good - many choices. A perfect hotel for us!

This hotel is all on one floor w/parking in front of your door. They have indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, and a playground, plus pleasant green areas. Our room was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a refrigerator and microwave. There was a sink and large counter in the bathroom ( and good shower), plus a sink and counter in the hall area before the bathroom. Near there was a wide low shelf for our suitcases. The furniture in the main room includes a large long dresser with big TV, plus a table and chairs. We also had two other comfortable chairs, but the room did not feel crowded. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was good, including more than its advertised 'Continental Breakfast'- eggs, sausage french toast etc.etc. We got a good price for the room, even though we arrived at 9:30 p.m. with no reservation. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Would not stay there again. Needs maintenance. The AC barely worked, the bath fan was so noisy we had to use earplugs. The room did not feel clean and furniture was beat up. The sheets were scratchy and uncomfortable. The front desk staff was not friendly, just doing their job and handing over room keys. There was very little seating area for breakfast and the breakfast itself was poor quality.

I really enjoyed my stay in this clean, quiet motel. The spacious area that the motel sits in is well kept with two great pools both indoors and outdoors. Customer service is also good! I would recommend this motel.

Older motel that was remodeled. Rooms were a bit small and you could hear the people in the next room easily including a barking dog. This was an issue of thin walls, not because they were being noisy. Our most expensive room as we were going across the country, but definitely not the best.

We'd been on vacation for a week - heading home - 6 hotels from Montana to Idaho - Wyoming--- this was the best one yet and very reasonable priced. Very clean - great breakfast - beds were fine. Liked the idea of being able to park in front of room

Excellent Breakfast ...... Good Staff Justin a tad expensive but I will come back .the park was still open so that should not not been a surprise. The Motel is remarkably maintained. Close to the Wm Cody museum.

We stayed at the Best Western Sunset for a night. It's an old hotel they tried to fix up. Big gap under the room door to outside parking lot. Fair room for the price compared to others in the area. It was ok, just not what I expected for a 4 star hotel on Trip Advisor.

This Best Western is the best we've stayed in! My husband and I are on a road trip and staying at several Best Westerns for the reward points. This one had a comfortable Serta mattress! The room was spacious and cozy. You can park right at your room. Breakfast was great but a little crowded. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! It's right near the heart of Cody too.

Hotel is a short walk to the Buffalo Bill museum and a short drive to the rest of town. Our room was a good value for a touristy town. The room was small but had all the amenities we needed. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. Breakfast was good except for the omelets. Beware that they has some kind of pepper jelly inside! Offered more than some News wehavestayed at. I would recommend this hote

Hotel was ok but not usual layout of a Best Western. Had to walk outside to get to lobby for breakfast. Breakfast room is too small for size of hotel, especially when group from a tour bus crowded in at the same time. A/C was window unit and installed so high that we couldn't reach the controls. Bathroom door was beat up and needed to be replaced. For rate we were charged, we expected a nicer place.

I requested inside room and when I check in, I am told they do not have inside rooms. Bathtub had dental floss hanging from everything in the tub and there were two dead flies on the bathroom floor. Room was decent but heard all the road noise and light from sign kept us up. Staff was not interested in helping with situation. Breakfast was a disaster. Very small room for tons of people and staff was in the way. Food was cold

We enjoyed a two-night stay and found our small King room to be comfortable and perfect for us. Comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave and the quietest wall mount AC unit I have ever seen. The grounds were well kept and the room was clean. We were able to easily walk downtown and enjoyed being right next door to a DQ for ice cream dessert. Our only complaint is the size of the breakfast area...way too small for the size of the hotel. The second morning it was so busy we couldn't eat there so went out. We will book here again in the future.

This hotel has a lot going for it, including location, ease of access to all crossroads, downtown, and museums, closeness to Yellowstone National Park. Daily paper would be nice. Both inside and outside pools a big plus for some. Laundry room available, nice lobby with fruit and coffee always available.

We were surprised to get a great room at a decent price during the tourist season in Cody, Wyoming. The staff was especially friendly and helpful! A short distance to the Buffalo Bill Museum, downtown, and great places to eat.

We started with just a one night stay to see if it was adequate and ended up staying three nights. Room was comfortable, clean and up to date. Staff was great and the grounds well groomed. Breakfast was good but seating crowded when everyone decided on breakfast at the same time. Did not use the pools but did take a look and both the indoor and outdoor looked very clean and well maintained. Little notes left by housekeeping made you feel they were pleased to be of service. Would definitely stay again.

Not having a definite travel plan, we were late arriving in Cody and just looking for a comfortable bed for the night. After stopping at another hotel and overhearing a rather rude desk clerk telling the people ahead of me their high prices for what didn't appear to be as nice a facility, I drove on and stopped at the Best Western Sunset Inn. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful and our room turned out to have two separate bedrooms (nice when my hubby could watch TV in one and I could read in the other without the TV noise!), and price was better than what I heard quoted for the not-as-nice place down the street. Unfortunately, the restaurant next door was closed, but the Dairy Queen sufficed for a quick meal after we checked in. The only downside was the way too small breakfast area for a facility as large as this one. There is a nice patio with tables which helps with the overflow seating, assuming the weather is good.

I was a little concerned when we pulled up to this vintage looking motel, but our room was lovely; looked recently redone with a low key western vibe. We were located at the back of the complex away from the main drag which was nice and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was good. I was aware of the TV playing in the room next to us, but fortunately they went to bed early. The hotel is within walking distance of the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West (highly recommend) and a little bit further into town. There's also a bank close by (only $2 ATM charge for use by non-customers) and a Dairy Queen next door. Breakfast at the hotel was fine but it was very crowded and picked over and we had to sit in the lobby with our plates in our laps. There are not a lot of mid-scale hotel options in Cody like Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites or Courtyards. There's a newer, more expensive Best Western down the street, but this property was a great option.

We stayed one night on our way to Yellowstone. It was clean and the breakfast was good. We would stay here again if we are traveling through. It was a bit pricey but couldn't expect anything less since it was August that we stayed.

This was a great room if you are traveling with other people as each room was separated by a door off a main highway. Breakfast was great. Hotel was clean. Stafff very nice. Great location close to downtown. My only complaint was that it was way overpriced for the quality of the rooms. I would definitely stay again but I honestly will probably look for a less expensive room before trying this hotel unless traveling with other people where I would want the privacy of my own room.

Everything is spotlessly clean and new here, from the bathrooms to the pool (even the indoor pool) and the breakfast room. You can tell that it is well managed. The rooms are nice, everything is new and well maintained. The location is between the Buffalo Bill Museum and the Rodeo. All in all a great place to stay.

Staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. They really helped us out of a jam after our car broke down and left us stranded the night before we were to leave for home. The Hotel is a short walking distance from the Center of the West and downtown Cody for those that don't want to hassle with finding parking spots. Housekeeping staff did a wonderful job maintaining our room and making our stay more pleasant. Definitely will stay here again.

This property is located just a few blocks away from the big Buffalo Bill Museum. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There are a lot of units. There is a front group, "U" shaped around the office, then behind them is another group with a swimming pool in the center. We had a room in the front group, not too far from the office/breakfast area. This hotel is not new, but is well maintained. The rooms are on the small side and the electrical outlets are limited. I travel with a CPAP machine and there was no outlet on my side of the room. We called the office and they came quickly with a long extension cord. There was a small fridge with no freezer space, and a microwave. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. They seem to have more units than they have places to have the people in those units eat breakfast. They have built a sort of large covered gazebo to the side on the side front of the property, in front of the one set of rooms, but it's not exactly convenient - or warm. The breakfast is good, but not outstanding, and some days were better than others. The breakfast on Monday was not good. They had "obviously left over" potatoes and omelets. The omelets were a different color than the day before and my husband took one. He took one bite and said they tasted funny so threw the rest away. They had no separate milk available, just 2 smallish pitchers in the fridge - one skim and one 2%. No waffles, but one day they did have French toast sticks, which were very good. It was quiet and we slept well, so all in all not a bad spot to stay.

I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago, and it was fine but nothing special. I have to say that they have upped their game. My room clearly had been renovated recently. It was spacious and spotlessly clean. The exercise room also has been redone, and although it's small, it's clean and the equipment is is great condition. Lots of attention to detail in daily housekeeping, decent breakfast (nothing thrilling but it's on par with what you would get at similar hotels), and as before, the location is outstanding. Worth every cent, and a good value for money. It is true that the breakfast area is a little small, but in good weather you can sit outside on a pretty patio and look at the mountains.

We stayed here July 29th and 30th. This is a good property as the rooms are on the ground floor and you park outside your door. Our room was a pet free room, however, we found pet hair on the furniture and the scratches on the inside of the bathroom door were a definite sign that someone had a pet in that room. We asked for some special cleaning as we have allergies and it was not done. Breakfast was typical hotel fare. The area was small for the amount of guests the hotel can have - this is a large property. It was a good place to stay while visiting the Buffalo Bill Center of the West museum.

When checking out the lady at the front desk she was very rude. I told her about the noise four wheel Polaris driving back and forth and how they drive fast and the unsafe it was for kids or dogs she did not do anything.we had checked in at 12:00 midnight and it started about 6:00am the staff yelling and then the four wheeler driving back and forth each 20 minutes. I would not stay there again!

The hotel was nice All rooms are on the ground floor and were very clean Breakfast was good as well Nice pool as well Staff was friendly It was near downtown and the Rodeo 10 of us stayed and we had 5 rooms everyone was pleased

Ok place to stay. It is an older style motel, where you drive right up to your room. This is great for those with mobility issues. Don't overpay for this property. Good if you can get a deal. It is is in a nice location with a nice pool area and nice grounds.

This property was in an excellent location. Was within walking distance to the Buffalo Bill Museum. Staff were friendly, cooperative, informative and knowledgeable of the area and what it had to offer. I would highly recommend this facility

The room was roomy, clean and the bed was comfortable. Our bathroom door would not close properly due to a maintenance issue that should be taken care of before it's used again. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very well done with lots of options. So busy though and we had to eat in our room....should have used the large covered gazebo feature next to the front desk,,,,,very nice feature.

Good value for the money. Very clean, laundry, pool, breakfast, playground for kids. Central to everything in Cody and just an easy hour to Yellowstone. Polite and helpful staff. Would stay here again.

Stayed one night. Was really impressed with the hotel surroundings and the room was great. Breakfast in the morning was top notch. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. I plan n staying or recommending this hotel again.

We stayed here to be near Yellowstone, without the absurd pricing of staying much closer to the park. We had a nice large room, very clean, comfortable. It was nice to be able to pull up to the door and be close to the car (I miss that...many motels in recent decades have turned into real dumps). The breakfast was also nice--since the dining area was overcrowded, we went outdoors to the patio in perfect weather. Great way to start the day. The town is also nice to pay a visit to--we found two nice places for dinner on the two nights we stayed in town.

Nice hotel. Loved that the continental breakfast lasted until 10 a.m., so I got to sleep in and still have breakfast!! The best thing for me, however, was the 2 staff members that were down-to-earth, kind, and extremely helpful.

Family of 4 stayed here for two nights during July, we enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is located a short drive (or long walk) from downtown, the rooms are clean and spacious. The room had an table/patio outside of a sliding glass door which was an added bonus. Also of value is the ability to park right in front of your room - this makes unloading and loading your vehicle so much easier. Both the outdoor and indoor pool where very nice, plenty of chairs and tables for parents to sit back and relax while the kids swam. The grounds overall were very well kept. The first night we were there the pool towels were gone so I called the front desk they were replenished within minutes, the staff was very attentive. Breakfast was good, it was standard fair but they had a few warm items and everyone was filled up. We plan to come back to the Cody area and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We only spent one night here, so this is a limited review. The front desk/lobby was nice, clean, sort of plain. The room was very large, plenty of room, same with the bathroom. Uncharacteristic of us we did not visit the pool/hot tub area, nor did we try their breakfast. We would stay there again, and from what we experienced, I think you will be satisfied too. It is close to the big museum.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a recent motorcycle trip. It was conveniently located on the west side of town near the Buffalo Bill Museum. There was also a shuttle pick-up for the rodeo a short walk away at the campground. Although the hotel was a little old, it was in very good condition. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I was very pleased with the hot tub and pools (indoor and outdoor). There are 2 patio areas for small gatherings. One near the outdoor pool and the other at the front of the property.We were also pleased with large laundry facility as we needed to do laundry for the remainder of the trip. We were also pleased to find out that the hotel offered a bike wash station fully stocked with soap and towels. This could also be used for a car wash if needed. There is a restaurant available across the street at the BW Premier location, however breakfast was served on-site in the lobby area. The breakfast items were generally pretty good.

On the way to Billings, Montana this hotel was a good place to stop for the night. Comfortable accommodations with breakfast included. The breakfast was just okay. Limited amount of food that had to be replenished repeatedly.

Nice rooms, well appointed, quiet and close to everything. Average breakfast, but attentive service with outdoor seating. Staff very cordial, professional and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel with an amazing staff. When we arrived the room was clean and comfy but we also found a welcome note, some candys and the towels folded in the shape of a dog with some glasses on, so cool !!! The hotel have two pool one outside and one inside with a spa next to a fitness room (which lack of dumbbell but it works anyway). The laundry room is very nice and it's only 2$ for washer and dryer ! The continental breakfast was just awesome, French toast, omelettes, sausages, different kind of breads, bagels, English muffins, juice, potatoes etc. Enough to make everyone happy ! I recommend !

Nothing fancy, but comfortable. Special rooms for pets. I liked that the floor in the room wasn't carpeting. Reasonable pet fee. Nice grass area for walking as well as poop bags. Breakfast had all the basics

Overall great stay. I liked that you can park in front of your motel room. Did not use either pool, but an indoor and outdoor pool are both available. Saw both being used on a regular basis. The fitness room is really small (need to go through the indoor pool to get to it). A treadmill, elliptical, bike and weight machines are available. Great place to stay right in the middle of Cody. Just a small walk to the Buffalo Bill Museum and downtown shopping.

Very nice accommodations and excellent breakfast. Cody has a lot to offer and the drive to Yellowstone was absolutely gorgeous. The laundry had a several machines. The indoor and outdoor pools are very clean.

Great place. Rooms are new, clean and private. Best pool/ hot tub area I've seen in a hotel. Probably the best place I've stayed at in a few years. Good continental breakfast. Liked the "motel" style set-up. Very convenient to load/ unload car. Very impressed.

Staff were friendly courteous and had a sense of humor! Our room was most accommodating. We were blown away with the variety and selection of choices at breakfast! Got us on our way with a really good start to our day.

Rates were high because of the time of year in a tourist town, but they recognized my military service and gave me a little bit better rate. Every staff person that I interacted with was very helpful and professional.

Beyond expectations! Staff was wonderful! We had a large group so decided to rent the "house". I wish we had planned to stay longer in order to enjoy this suite. The indoor pool was enjoyed by our grandson and the fitness center by our daughter.

At first a bit skeptical as we don't usually enjoy rooms with doors right at parking, but it was a nice clean room and we both slept very well on the bed, king size, softer mattress than firm. Bathroom was a little small but not tight and looked recently redone and clean. The outdoor covered patio was nice for sitting with an evening drink. A family was grilling their dinner and we had nice conversation with them. Laundry room had a lot of machines and kept neat. Only negatives was that the ice machine had recently broke but front desk provided ice to us quickly and friendly. Room's lighting was a little low. Breakfast was usual selections (cereal, oatmeal, eggs, etc). All and all a peaceful relaxing stay

An old fashioned motel with all rooms at one level with parking outside the rooms. Our room was quite dark even though we had a window to the front and back of the room. The decor was in need of modernisation, but the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the best free breakfast of the 11 hotels/motels we stayed at. It included a good selection of juices, cereals, yoghurts, bread etc plus a choice from 4 different hot options each day. The laundry was also a decent size with half a dozen washers and driers. Note the adjacent Sunset House restaurant is now closed, so don't rely on eating next door to the Sunset Inn anymore.

No one was at front desk to check out. Bagels at breakfast were old dry. Pool was great. Location was great. Clean and updated rooms. Big rooms. Nice tile floors. Comfy beds. I actually slept which is a good thing.

The room was comfortable and clean. When we checked in the staff was helpful in directing us to our room. The breakfast was medeocor with not much flavor but it was something to get in your stomach and on the road.

We called in Feb/Mar about our room making sure it was handicap access. We were assured everything was okay. When we checked in I had asked about the handicap rm, the clerk showed a quizable face. We received a room all the way in the back- over 100 yrs away from the front. My wife could not make it to eatery or pool. There were no handicap ramps anywhere. As for the room we could get the walker or wheel chair in bathroom. There was only one poorly located grab bar. The floor was very slick in the shower. My grand son fell twice. The breakfast was okay, nothing great. At one time there was no coffee. We were very disappointed.

My husband and I have stayed here for four nights on vacation. Our room was extremely clean and quite large. The bed was a little firmer than what I am used to but I still slept quite well. Breakfast was good. I would totally recommend this hotel!

We were traveling in a group of 8 on motorcycles the front desk lady was very helpful and accommodating, she offered us sunscreen, lip balm, a drying towel for the bike and a kick stand pad as well as stowing our gear until our rooms were ready. The guest laundry was an added bonus and breakfast was good.

The people at the front desk were extremely helpful. The breakfast presented a good assortment of hot and cold items. The pool and fitness room were very well tended. The grounds were spotless and well manicured. The room itself was very clean and very well laid out and the location in town was on the main street so very convenient to everything.

Not a good place to have the name of BW. Paid way to much for an old out dated place. Paid way to much for an old motel that they are calling a BW. There were so many other places that were close by that I am sure was a lot cheaper. Not enough room for breakfast, rooms were not nice, and bathroom was a joke. Would not and do not recommend.

The staff went out of there way right down to the cleaners to make it a great stay. The kids loved the choices at breakfast and the pool was a big hit. The hotel was close to the rodeo and not a bad drive to Yellowstone and Bill Cody Ranch for horse back riding. I would stay here again.

Tourist Season is setting in on this June 7 2017 day so the prices are rising and we paid with everything $161.32 for a party of 4 in a Room. The place is Safe and you can walk to the Museum and Park from this Location and even to the Town in which we did. Very Clean and Friendly Staff. Nice Grounds! Love Cody Wyoming anyway! Love everything about Wyoming! Partial I guess!

We were pleased with the room and the friendliness of the check in employee. She was knowledgeable and get us to the rodeo and dinner place. They had us a rollaway ready. We got a good price and breakfast the next morning was great.

Probably the nicest of the 7 hotels on our Yellowstone trip. Two room suite with separate bathrooms. Spotless. Most of the rooms ground level, so no lugging suitcases up stairs. Breakfast area was a bit small but not crowded the morning we were there.

Nice Place to stay> Hotel employees were friendly and patient and the location was just down from the Powwow, very conveniently located. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here...

We stayed here because we usually get a good value from Best Western. Our room was what we expected but the WiFi was week. They served breakfast but we didn't eat there because of no place to sit and eat, to crowded.

If you book this place expecting a roadside motel, you will be surprised. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. If you book this place expecting a hotel, you will be disappointed and asking yourself why you paid almost $200 a night here. Breakfast was nothing to be desired. Either the food was burnt or rubbery which made most of it inedible. Also, the room that breakfast is smaller than most master bedrooms which makes it difficult to do anything

My wife & myself were on a vacay of a life time trying to visit all the places we've heard about out west while heading towards Yellowstone NPS we chose to stay at this BW and it turned out great. The staff was the best, the breakfast was outstanding for a BW and even the laundry worked great. I highly recommend staying here.

CUTE! Cute room, great layout to the complex, adorable rooms. Clean. Internet was perfect. Great samsung flatscreen. Totally impressed and would book again. Close enough access to Yellowstone. Adorable town! Good location right on a main road with easy access to town, eateries, and the rodeo.

There was way to much light at night coming through top and bottom of window made for hard sleeping other then that it was a good stay. The maid did a great job on my six night stay. In all I recommend this place.

We reserved a suite for a 3 night stay in Cody for 5 people. Imagine our surprise when we were told "Oh you have the house." Oh my word! We had the most beautiful, charming, well appointed, clean, immaculately clean, 3 bedroom house to use during our stay. Beds were comfortable. Showers had hot water. Toilets flushed and all drains drained, not a speck of dust anywhere. Then you add the leather seating, the tv's in all the rooms, the full size kitchen in this beautiful setting of well groomed lawns and flower beds. Add in the pristine clean hot tub and swimming pools, the new playground equipment all within a short distance of any room; it was wonderful. This was our second stay here and loved it so much the first time that we had to come back with extended family. Breakfast could use a bit of help. This is a busy busy motel, and a very small space for breakfast. And in spite of chaos that volumes of people and no room brings, the staff was wonderful; friendly and warm. Highly recommend!

Our room was musty, there was no hot water in the morning and the staff didn't seem to cared about the problem. They offered an apology but we were not offered a discount on our room on checking out. The property is totally overpriced. We paid $217.78 Canadian! I would not recommend this property to anyone.

My husband and I took my elderly parents on vacation. We called the front seat to make a reservation because I was having problems with the website. The front desk employee was extremely helpful. He set us up with a family room with two separate bedrooms with a bathroom to share for a very reasonable price!!! I was really pleased with our stay. The rooms were very clean and tidy. I wish every hotel would do this. I would stay there again in a heart beat!

This is your basic motel. The lobby has been renovated and the rooms are clean with some new furniture but the building itself is old but looks to be kept up fairly well. We stayed here one night on our way to Yellowstone. For a "roadside motel" it fits the bill.

This hotel is near the main part of town. It was nice, had clean, spacious rooms and a nice breakfast bar for free. I think this hotel had waffles on the breakfast bar. Not sure. No complaints. I'd stay here again.

the price of the laundry was reasonable compared to other hotels and the property was very manicured. The rooms were very nice, just a little small for two couples. The area was very nice and the town was nice, just wish we could have spent more time there. The downtown area was very close to the hotel.

My husband opened the door to our room and 3 people greeted him; should I tell you how surprised he was? The room also smelled strongly of cleaning supplies. The staff was having an inspection and the front desk should have never given us keys. Other than that surprise, the room was clean and a good size.

For those who do not know what a motor court type of hotel is, this is a motel where all of the rooms are entered from the parking lot. This is not intended as a criticism rather an indication of an older property. In spite of the age of the motel, it has been very well taken care of and the insides of the rooms have up to date décor. The problems I have with this motel all concern the breakfast area and the breakfast itself. This is a pet friendly motel, but that does not mean that guests should be allowed to bring their pet into the breakfast area. That is what I witnessed on the 1st morning of my stay. On the 2nd morning they ran out of eggs, French toast, and bacon at the same time and it took 15 to 20 minutes to be restocked. On the 3rd morning they completely ran out of eggs and had nothing to substitute for this hot item. They also ran out of coffee and the coffee they brought out to replace it was very bitter. The breakfast area is entirely too small for the number of rooms the motel has. People had to stand in line and outside waiting to get a table.

My first impression was the wide parking spaces provided making it easy to get in and out of car with luggage. Entering the room I was impressed with it being larger than usual. At first I could not find the frig but later found it concealed in the cabinet. We loved staying there and would certainly stay there again. Last but not least they had a nice area to do laundry.

Rooms are average size, but the beds are very comfortable. The grounds are very well laid out with the pool, playground and laundry all centered. The breakfast was a bit of a disaster. It was not centrally located and even though the food was good, there wasn't enough room to accommodate all the guests and they kept running out of food. Most people were forced to carry there food back to their rooms. We had a problem with our DVD player in the room. We reported it and where told they would send someone down. When no one showed up after 2 hours, I called back and told them never mind it was too late anyways. A different person answered the phone and told me he had just come on duty and was not informed of the problem. He was very nice and did apologize for our inconvenience. I expected more for the price.

After our camping plans fell thru we decided to give the Best Western Sunset Inn in Cody, WY a try. It was a great choice! Rooms were very modern and CLEAN! We stayed at many hotels on our vacation and to be honest, have a hard time finding a room as spotless and roomy! Parking is available out front of each room/unit and are all single-story so no worries of people pounding around on the floor above you all night long! Breakfast was adequate, nothing to rave about but enough to get you going. Grounds were also very well maintained and staff were all very friendly. Would stay again. Only complaint is the room rates were a little steep for a Best Western, but our stay was good. Great job on the service/presentation/cleanliness-keep up the good work!

Rooms were what we expected but did like that they were spread out. No loud hallways where every sound is heard. Separate buildings with outside doors made it easy to access car and also go for walks. In Cody this would be a great place to stay.

Surprisingly good breakfast for a hotel buffet. Had a microwave to heat the food a little more. Nice clean rooms with two queen beds and two sinks one outside of shower/toilet room. All units on ground floor so easy access to the car and no one bouncing up and down above you.

Room were very nice, price could of been a little cheaper for Cody fire School. This is a very important school and if rooms were priced cheaper you would draw more fire fighters to your business. But over all it was a great place to stay.

We reserved 3 rooms for a family get-together and found this to be a convenient location... not in the busiest section of town, and therefore not too noisy. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, and did our laundry one day as well. The fitness center and outdoor pool were under renovation, but we took several walks instead.

We stayed here for a soccer tournament and loved how large our room was. We had lots of room for our family. Our room seemed to have just been remodeled and was beautiful. The room was spotless. The breakfast was good and the customer service was outstanding!

I booked this motel over phone,sight unseen which is scary sometimes but when we pulled into it we were impressed.. The employees were so helpful to us and we really appreciated that..Cody is a beautiful town with a lot of things to do for everyone.. They have 2pools and nice large and clean hot tub...we also liked having our car right outside our door..we were there in July 2016 and only stayed one night as we were heading to Yellowstone... I will happily stay in this motel again if we travel that way again...

I planned to book a two-night stay for June. The hotel website states that they are pet-friendly, but you must make sure that you book a room where dogs are allowed. Fair enough. There were plenty of rooms still available, so I called the hotel to ask which one(s) were pet-friendly. None of them, was the answer. Here's my beef: It you really don't want dogs, then don't advertise falsely that you do. You're just wasting everyone's time.

We stayed at the Best Western Sunset Inn in July 2016. Our room was clean and newly remodeled. The room had a microwave and fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. There was a playground for children as well as 2 swimming pools. We would stay here again.

The motel is located in town, but is pretty quiet despite the location. This is a motel with buildings that reach far back off of the road. Rooms were decent, clean, nothing special. Staff was pleasant and helpful. No rooms with views, drive up to your door and park.

Cody, WY, is a cute town on the east side of Yellowstone Park, so it is a good place to stay to access that part of the park. We had a reservation at this hotel, but somehow it had gotten lost and they were completely booked in the price-range of our room. But Chris on the desk saved the day!! He put us in a much larger space for the same price. We were SO appreciative!! The place was very clean and quiet, the beds were extremely comfortable with quality bedding and they served a nice complimentary breakfast.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with plenty of room. The layout of the hotel was unusual; it was all single story like a motel. It was located with easy access to downtown, the Cody Museum and restaurants.

This hotel was in beautiful Cody Wyoming 50 mules from Yellowstone but the drive in each day was breathtaking and we saw a lot of wildlife even before entering the park, Cody has some excellent restaurants for breakfast and dinner.

Stayed her 3 nights, while visiting Buffalo Bill Museum, and the east entrance to Yellowstone. Convenient location for both. Comfortable bed. Good towels. Great water pressure. Renee (housekeeper) made swan towels in our room. Nice treat. There is a very good restaurant next door. This would have been a five, but we were told by front desk that the hours for breakfast were changed to 7-10 from 6-9. We got to breakfast room at 9:30 and we're told only coffee was available.

We stayed for 7 nights while we visited Yellowstone. Our room was great, plenty of space. Very clean and decorated with a lodge feel. We were in room 120 real close to the front office. Worked in the morning for breakfast. The breakfast changed everyday, nice selection. All the staff was great and friendly.

Updated, modern motel with all the amenities. It was great to park right in front of your room to unload. (No fetching luggage carrier, taking elevator and then, returning said carrier.) 2 comfy chairs in room to read, watch TV, or surf the web vs laying on the bed. Good WiFi connection and Breakfast with a restaurant next door with "comfort" food" plus adult beverages. Rooms were clean with newer furnishings. Good location for East entrance of Yosemite. Recommend.

My husband booked this Inn without researching enough to find out it is a motel, not a hotel. When we arrived, we were in shock as we haven't stayed in a motel since 1970. We were also shocked that a motel was charging this much for one night's stay. The friendly front desk lady assured us that they had just been newly renovated and she gave us a corner room. She also said the rate was well below what we would pay for other comparable rooms in the area. The room was dimly lit, but newly furnished and the bathroom had the latest fixtures. It was a good location just outside of Yellowstone. The full breakfast was very good. We did have to share a table with another person. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the place was. The beds were comfortable and we did not hear other guests coming and going.

After a long day in Yellowstone it was a fine motel too end the day at in a nice town. It's all ground floor and you park outside the door, easy and good after long days... The rooms are pretty much "Best Western standard", maybe a little better, Motel is clean and has everything you possible could need, the staff are helpful. Breakfast was ok but the breakfast area was way too small

We visited Yellowstone and wanted a place in Cody before heading home. We booked this room after reading the positive reviews and the price was great. This BW is a motel type which is nice for the convenience of being able to park right outside your room. We had some reviews indicating the breakfast room was overcrowded. We did not experience any problems with finding a place to enjoy breakfast. We were traveling in September so the property might not have been as busy at that time of the year. This property also has some pet rooms. If you need a pet room you must book directly with the front desk and cannot book a pet room online. If you don't have a pet you don't need to ask for a pet free room if you book online. I enjoyed being able to have vanilla yogurt with fruit and granola for toppings. A step up from the yogurt cups. They also had ice water available! We made a trip to Buffalo Bill Dam and Reservoir. Interesting site and only a short drive from Cody. Would definitely stay here again.
