Fantastic service. Joe at the front desk was friendly, and had a room to be accommodating of our family. Originally I had booked at Holiday Inn Express across the street, but we were turned away due to us having children with us. Joe at Best Western was understanding, pleasant to work with, and we were all so grateful for his accommodations. The free breakfast was beyond expectation, with the eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy, yogurt, bar, and more. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone else!
The Free Shuttle service to and from the airport was very prompt did not have to wait at all and a free hot breakfast was very good and lots to choose from ,the rooms were very clean and nice. Close to the airport makes it very convenient I would definitely use this hotel again
We stay at this airport hotel because it has a 24 shuttle. Very few do at Cleveland Hopkins. It seems that lately all of the flights we take are at 6am! Hotels is becoming a bit dated but employee are pleasant and helpful. We have had breakfast here and it changes.everyday, which is nice.
Spacious room with a nice sized comfortable bed and Fast internet connection. What more can you ask for? The bathroom has a large sink area and the room has a computer desk. The room also has a lot of plugs for electronics. I didn't get to stay for long so I missed a lot of the amenities like breakfast.
Highlights were the great breakfast and the cute kids' library they have in the lobby. When we stayed, the elevator was broken. The guy working kindly upgraded us to a suite near the stairs on the second floor so we wouldn't have to walk too far. While spacious, the room was definitely dingy. The couch had lots of stains and everything just felt a bit grubby, including the old-fashioned bathroom. The beds were clean and comfy, though! I really didn't like that the staircase wasn't secured with key access- anyone could have entered! The airport pickup was quick and convenient. It was a bit strange because it was just a lady in an unmarked minivan, but when we called they told us the make and model of car to look for. Not my favorite hotel, but a fine choice if you need something close to the airport with a shuttle!
The elevator was not working, I stayed four nights, and it was never fixed. I had to haul over 100 pounds of equipment and luggage up 6 flights of stairs. The stairs were located outside of the hotel, so guests were required to exit the hotel, walk to the opposite end, squeeze between parked cars just to get to the stairs. The doors were not secured with a room key, everything was open. Breakfast was great, with both hot and cold options. Not a great location if you have mobility issues. The Best Western brand used to have a minimal level of quality associated with it, but my opinion is definitely lower after this stay.
Whiskers in and around the sink, on the wrapped towelettes. Only one bath towel in the bathroom. A hole in the ceiling above the shower. Elevator broken. Pool not open because of duct maintenance (??) kids were very disappointed. Glad we are only here for one night, because of an early morning flight. Room 222
Room rugs dirty, air conditioner falling off the wall, fridge not working, bed springs giving poor sleep, elevator not working for over 3 days....
Rude staff. Always outside smoking. Hallway smelled. Staff staying there with screaming children broken items. Changed 30.00 for early check in. Alarm clock was battery with no batteries and the room service person left a message for a tip. Stay away. Ghetto central.
I stayed here as a result of an 18 hour layover in Cleveland. Hotel is less than 10 minutes from terminal. Rooms are basic, but clean. Interior hallways. The free breakfast was excellent with nice assortment of cold and hot choices. I would definitely stay at this property again.
Check in was easy and the attendants were helpful. The room was clean and quiet. It appeared new. The pillows are great; a couple soft and a couple firm. Nice selection for breakfast and the attendant is pleasant and cheerful. The area is friendly and homey. For the money this place was wonderful.
This hotel was at an okay location. But this hotel isn't good. Room service never made our beds and things like blinds, pillows, sheets, and mattresses were in horrible condition. I know hotel food isn't ever amazing, but this serving area and the food itself wasn't good. Don't recommend.
This hotel is far away from the action in Clevland with not much around it. Hotel is dirty and needs some attention. We arrived to the outside being renovated (without this being mentioned on the website or emails). The floors in the main area were dirty, floors in the elevator were sticky (the whole trip) the carpets are dirty etc. This would be a fine place for 1 night, but not as a home base to explore the area.
Staff appeared to be racist and kept harassing us during our stay. Made us feel uncomfortable and had to leave. I would not ever recommend this stay for anyone unless you enjoy wasting money. Amenities also sucked. WiFi down and water was off upon arrival/check-in.
Overall, this hotel was perfect to crash out at the night before our flight. Check-in process was quite simple, even with having to schedule the airport shuttle and pay to park my vehicle at the hotel while I was gone. If you go across the street and eat at Bob Evans, they give you a 10% discount if you tell them you are staying at the hotel (I don't know if this is only for Elite Members or not). Breakfast was delicious, and my only complaint would be that they shut it down at 9 AM. Overall, this will be my go-to hotel moving forward if I ever fly out of Cleveland again.
The front desk remembered we needed the airport shuttle and park and fly. She was so friendly. The room was remodeled and clean. Housekeeping left us a lovely little note. Bathroom was clean and water was hot and good pressure. The breakfast buffet was typical but they did think of everything you would want/need and again the gal working there was super friendly. No complaints at all for a budget hotel.
Served my simple needs quite well. All I needed was a room for the night and convenient access to the airport, and it delivered. Staff was very nice, helpful, and competent. But the room was dark with a glazed, opaque window that created a claustrophobic atmosphere. As far as I could determine, there were no premium tv channels available in English. Still, it was affordable and functional. And there was a little fridge in the unit which was nice. Nothing to do nearby to help kill time in the evening except a Bob Evans. Really no amenities in the hotel itself. Very basic.
Various maintenance and cleanliness issues. Frosted glass windows that you could not see out of. The manager was excellent and assisted us in moving rooms. But both rooms had numerous problems. This was like staying in a cheap Motel 6
This hotel is clean and comfortable with efficient and friendly staff. The breakfast was really good and actually had BACON! Conveniently located. We were going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and A Christmas Story House as part of a road trip. We've been traveling over a month and this still stands out as a very enjoyable stay.
We booked with Best Western Snow Road for a group trip stop over hotel on our way to Nashville TN. Although there were some reviews that concerned me I trusted Angelina who I dealt with through a great deal of the planning stages of our trip. She assured me that our accommodations would be clean and that we would be well taken care of. We had 29 rooms booked and I did not hear one complaint from anyone in our group. We stayed Sept 4th and Sept 10th and both times were treated very good. I was a bit curious as to why I could not get some paperwork I am accustomed to from the hotel but I guess they do things a bit different and it all worked out okay. They only have one elevator however we managed and everyone got checked into the hotel fairly quick. Technical difficulties restricted some of the breakfast items on our return stay but we all managed to get fed and were okay with what was available. Thank You Angelina for all of your due diligence in taking care of your guests. Dianne & Hugh
The front desk staff was very accommodating and friendly. The continental breakfast staff was also fantastic and the breakfast area was clean. The breakfast itself was fresh, good and plentiful. The cleanliness of the room however was not good. The shower was dirty, the headboards had a film of dirt/head oils on them, there was something brown, thick and crusty on the black out curtains in several places. The comfort of the beds was like that of sleeping on a board. The supplies in the room which included the towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner/body wash were all lacking. Our room slept 4 and we only had 2 towels and 2 washcloths. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty and there was only a 1/4 roll of toilet paper left without an extra roll. I was able to retrieve those items from the friendly staff at the front desk, however, the housekeeping of this establishment is sub par at best. The carpet in the room was dirty with runs in the carpet and they felt damp. The refrigerator was also dirty. Based on the area, staff and convenience this is a good place to stay. Based on the cleanliness of the room I was 100% dissatisfied and they need to do better.
Cars are being broken into. Outside cameras do not work told that by housekeeping. Night desk person wants to argue that “certain” vehicles can't be parked under the covered parking even tho it has a handicap sticker when workers have their personal cars parked in handicap without the proper sticker to park there. Put in hotel due to work being done on my hose and haven't asked the desk for anything since being here a week. And this is how they treat guests
Beds were ok, not great but good enough. Room was clean. The woman in charge of the breakfast was GREAT! She was so friendly. (I believe her name was Edna, what a gem!) She deserves a 5+ rating. Would recommend for an overnight stay.
rooms were super clean staff was respectful and really nice and helpful evans helped alot when i had questions the pool was clean and relaxing beds were the best I've slept in when it comes to hotels
It may not look like much from the outside, but the rooms are in great shape, the pool is excellent, and the staff are wonderful. In addition, we were in a handicapped room, and my friend, who is in a wheelchair, said it was one of the best rooms he's ever stayed in.
Our room was in terrible condition. It was filthy. There were visible blood and other stains on the mattress cover sticking out from the sheet. The curtains had a weird white crustiness on them. We could not see out the windows at all. They looked painted over, but maybe the seals were broken. It looked like only a few windows in the whole hotel that anyone could see out of. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. There were cigarette burns in the shower and the ceiling in the bathroom was yellow from nicotine. The cooktop in the kitchenette was filthy. There was an outlet without a cover as well. So gross.
Room smells terrible. Bed is hard and uncomfortable. Windows are frosted which makes the room feel claustrophobic. The lobby is in a strange location which makes offloading luggage difficult. Just not a great Best Western experience. The hotel replies to feedback as I've noticed, always playing ignorant like they can't improve things I'd they aren't told. How many people need to say the exact same things before you put some attention to the issues?
The parking situation was easy. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk was very pleasant. Check-in was smooth. That's about it. The journey to our room reeked of vape and overall stank. The halls were not very bright. Once we made it to our room things did not get much better. Our room was very dirty. It was apparent that part of the cleaning checklist was not wiping down the headboards or the surfaces as there were many fingerprints. We found many treasures on the floor. An errant pill, a lost room key, left behind money, marshmallows, and general ickyness to let us know that clearly the floor hasn't been vacuumed in a while. The dust ruffle has been tucked up into the mattress and never fixed. The extra blanket was somehow under the mattress for some reason. I wasn't sure if I wanted to sleep on top of the sheets or underneath. An inspection thankfully seemed that the sheets appeared clean. At least that is what I'm telling myself. The shower had a dirty rubber floor mat that is clearly never hung to dry. Showering didn't really leave you feeling any cleaner. We declined to stay for the included breakfast because we didn't have much confidence in the preparation. If I could have found another close hotel with vacancies, I would have checked out pronto.
There is nothing positive I can say about this hotel. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel I was side eyeing it. The grass looked as if it had not been cut this season. I walked past the main entrance because nothing about it was welcoming, it looked like a side door. Once walking in the smell of fabuloso cleaner should've made me turn around and leave but I wanted to give it a chance. The lobby is gloomy. Once we got checked in and I entered my room I was Greater with funk. It smelled as if someone was storing onions in the room. Then it wasn't the room we booked. I went back down to the front desk to advise of my concerns. He lied at first and said the was the room I booked. Once I showed him my booking he then admitted they overbooked the rooms and downgraded my room. No apologies nor offer to change the price because the room I booked cost more. I asked for my reservation to be canceled because honestly I just could not see myself staying at this hotel. It looks like it should have rodents crawling around. After waiting on someone to help cancel my reservation we were told we were all set buy they could not provide me a receipt to show my reservation was canceled and that I would be issued a refund. Terrible customer service. The photos online must be from when they first built this location.
I brought 2 u16 teams and staff for 4 nights. The staff from the front desk to the breakfast room to the room cleaners are exceptional. Offered us extra food to take with us between games, allowed us to use the breakfast room to bring in pizza etc.
Diamond member...Family stayed in 2 rooms. Both were filthy. Stains on carpet. Smelly. Outlets didn't work, room windows frosted, so no sunshine. Garbage behind drapes, under chairs. Embarrassing to bring my family. They promised compensation, for 8 night total night stay, then stiffed me. Corporate was way more helpful and gave me $200 back. Owner doesn't know how to run hotel. You can feel they are trying to squeeze pennies from running properly. My daughter said it best...Dad we know how to stay at Motel 6, and Super 8, but this was the worst! Sadly, I called in advance and asked about all the bad reviews and was assured special accomodations. They didnt lift a finger. Lazy.
I stayed 2 times within a week out of necessity of canceled flight and because I wanted to give them a 2nd chance. (The park and fly is convenient.) I wrote to the owner after my second night to explain the uncleanness of the room. I took a picture of the moldy toilet rim and "stained" bath liner and the red stain on the carpet. I was sent back a lengthy email which in my mind put the blame of the situation back on me and was taken from the point of view of the staff side of the story. I was told I was offered another room. (On both occasions, my son was asleep by the time I noticed the multiple problems.) I was told that the stained bath liner was actually clean. I have a photo of that also. As you can see from my reviews over the years and having stayed in hundreds of hotels, I like to give owners and managers the benefit of the doubt. Yet, in this case, real issues with room and hall cleanliness. It is not fair to make excuses. I was told by one staff member, the housekeeper had just quit. Another person told me "regulars" do not stay on the second floor because it is just not clean. Yet another person said that there used to be a system in place to make sure sheets were clean. The whole experience just really upset me. Manager and owner trying to be nice yet, it is not fair to you customers to be not be accepting of the true condition of the rooms and property. Decide for yourself.
They offered a Nice airport shuttle. The hotel was a decent price with clean rooms and friendly staff. It was kind of a weird location with not a lot of food options within walking distance of the hotel
This is Tony Brown I stayed there on the 21st of October had a wonderful time they were very pleasant and it was very clean I would recommend it for anyone and I have recommended it to a lot of people and express my joy of staying there to the staff and told them I would return
Check in was quick and easy. We completed paperwork and paid 7.00 per day to leave our vehicle at the hotel while we were on vacation. Our room with a king-sized bed was nice and clean. We used the shuttle service to and from the Cleveland Airport. They offer breakfast each morning.
I had a great stay at this hotel. Booked 4 nights and extended for a few more as I enjoyed it. Clean, safe and convenient. The facilities were ideal with a big pool. The staff were the highlight - Ashley & Eileen are some of the nicest people ever!
Customer service checking in and out was quick & courteous. Room was clean and quite. Basic - no frills. Plenty of outlets and usb outlets. Hot coffee! Breakfast available, but left too early to eat (apples and coffee was available) Shuttle to airport was convenient. Hot water. Towels clean.
Definitely call ahead for Truck Parking..its limited but..Profit will be there to back you in & get you squared away--what a cool guy! Our room on the 3rd floor was VERY clean and contrary to other reviews had a microwave, frig, coffee-maker & clean, comfortable beds & bedding. Again..as someone reviewed that the hallways had a bad odor...not on our floor. We stayed for 4 nights and slept well with absolutely no issues. I wonder if people just go through life being miserable & are never satisfied with...anything?? If you're happy with a clean room, friendly employees, a good nightly rate, a free hot breakfast and respectful guests...you can't go wrong here. The bad reviews are from some very sad people.
Rolled in after midnight for a short night.Room was clean, staff was helpful, though the first key didn't work and she blamed the earlier shift...but I watched her "code" the keycard. Not a big deal. Room was fine, parking was plentiful. I felt safe leaving some luggage in the car.
Average rooms, clean. No microwave, no included breakfast, no coffee available in the lobby. Bad attitude from the manager. Have to drive to everything. I will avoid this hotel. Now my review must be 200 characters? How bad do you want it to be?
We stayed two nights and it was clean and a good location to all the different places we went to in Cleveland. My son enjoyed the indoor pool and he loves a hotel with a free breakfast lol! When checking out the receptionist noticed my son carrying his stuffed turtles and commented how cute they were. Before we walked out she gave him a cute little turtle she had behind the desk. She was very nice!!
This hotel is GROSS the rooms and hallway smelt of urine.. breakfast was awful no orange juice or milk. Staff were taking up breakfast area while they sat with their families eating… would not recommend… mould in the shower. Yuck!!
We stayed there one night while passing through on a long trip. The hotel was clean, the rooms were okay If a little dated, about what you would expect for a Best Western. Check in was relatively slow as there was only one person on duty in the counter and several travelers checking in. One member of our party requested was allowed to switch rooms because their 1st room smelled quite smoky. The replacement room was much better. However, the whole hotel had an mild underlying smell, possibly from a previous era when smoking was allowed. The breakfast was nothing special but the area was clean. There were some hot and cold foods. Note that the entrance to this hotel is a little weird When you pull into the parking lot you drive along the left and the entrance is about a halfway down the length of the hotel recessed into the middle. It's on the side facing away from the road. This hotel did allow dogs and ours were comfortable. The doggy rest area is around the back of the hotel and there's a nice grass strip in the front.
The hitel is close to the interstate, and it was pretty inexpensive. The breakfast was good. The wifi worked well. Some staff were great, and some were unhelpful and did not seem to know what they were doing. The hallway smelled bad and the carpet was dirty, but the room smelled even worse. The curtain sheers and the blackout panels were badly torn. The toilet wiggled, and there was grime in the corners of the bathroom. The bed seemed clean and was confortable.
My husband and I needed an overnight stay before visiting a nearby hospital for doctor visit and tests the next day. We were immediately greeted and helped by friendly people at the desk. We were given advice for nearby restaurants. We were given a beautiful room on the 3rd floor. Elevator worked well every time we needed it. The room was large and had a king sized bed as we requested. The bathroom was large, well lit, vanity sink was larger than we've had at other hotels. Tub/shower good size and worked well. Linens were clean and ample size. Bed was very comfortable. Hot breakfast with waffles, egg "omlette", sausages, biscuits and gravy, juice, cereals, milk, yogurt, coffee, etc.(plenty of selections)
First room had bugs crawling all over the tv table. Second room ice maker broken the floor. TV not working. We paid 200 dollars forca run down room. All the furniture was old, stains everywhere. Would never stay herevagain.
The place was a good value for the money. Breakfast was nice as it provided an egg dish, a meat choice and biscuits and gravy and all the usual amenities that come with breakfast, waffles, yogurt cereal etc. It was quiet staff all super friendly. Room could use an update but was fine for our stay. Only complaint was there was no outside space to utilize like a picnic table. It was nice so we wanted to go outside but literally hung in parking lot and no real spot for smokers could have a bench or chairs like most hotels do.
The motel employees were warm and friendly. The motel was freeway accessible and close to the hospital where my husband had to be for a test. We had to be at the hospital at 7:30 AM and the staff were happy to give us a wake-up call in the morning!
No problems. Everyone nice. Room clean. Alot of amenities. Excellent breakfast. Very clean, neat hotel inside and out. Plenty of room, has a pet area. Everyone friendly & helpful. Would recommend this hotel.
Absolutely a wonderful stay! My husband has been working in the area the last four months and stayed here three nights every week. The employees are the nicest you'll find at any hotel! From the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, manager, and especially Edna who ran the breakfast. You definitely feel welcomed and like family. They even got my husband a cake for his birthday! Their breakfast is from 6-9 am which made it really nice for him to eat before going to work. I also stayed several times and the breakfast has plenty. Eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, sausage links or patties, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, juices, milk, coffee, and cocoa. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. Edna does a super job getting the food out and helping you if needed. Our rooms were always clean and comfortable. If you need anything just ask and they are so accommodating. Location is great and quiet. Located near the airport and plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. We hope to stay here again in the future.
Generally quiet and very clean. Pet friendly. Courteous staff. Unfortunately we had a room with a loud air conditioning unit that rattled each time the compressor cycled. Breakfast offering was average. No area designated for dog walking so watch where you step in the grassy areas.
Reserved a room as we need it to be close to Cleveland Airport period after making reservation called to confer more time their shuttle operated, and they informed me they're shuttle did not actually go to the airport. Therefore I canceled.
Very nice, clean, and quiet hotel with friendly front desk employees! Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast attendant does a great job and there's plenty to eat! Awesome multi night discount as my husband is working in the area for two months.
Hotel was very friendly and pleasant nice view The staff was very nice someone was always at the dentist big do you when you enter the building and when you leave the building it was just a friendly and pleasant atmosphere
Tameka was very friendly would definitely come back if that is the staff they hire Locate very close to the airport so you don't have to get up crazy early to catch your flight and great place to eat is the Berea Depot restaurant
It is a quick two minute drive to CLE. Affordable rates Located close to CLE John Hopkins. Nice staff. Quiet rooms. Nice decor. There are several restaurants and stores, gas stations, next door/ or nearby.
The stay was awesome I just wish it could have lasted longer and the staff was super friendly and took care of my every needs Sometimes I didn't know what I needed till they suggested it and then I was hooked on there care !!!!
Friendly service, good food, but a broken TV the whole time. Told before I checked in the TV didn't work but thought it would be fixed. Beware, you must request room service for it to be cleaned Given a dirty room at check-in. Immediately brought up a key to another room.
After a late arrival at the Cleveland Airport the Best Western was a convenient respite. We were greeted by a friendly, efficient desk clerk. Our room was a comfortable, if lot large size. The hotel is showing its age and could use some minor touch-ups, nevertheless it was clean and all the furniture and bathroom fixtures were in good condition. All the linens were clean. We had a quiet night's sleep. The bed was on the soft side.. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. Altogether, the price was very reasonable for what we got.
We often stay at BW's (we're members of the reward club) for short durations and have always- until now- found them comfortable, and while sometimes basic, clean and well maintained. We chose this at last minute as we had a funeral to attend. At this hotel, the guy at check in was pleasant making the prison cell lobby appearance tolerable. Carpet in hall was clean and a nice pattern, Then we opened the door to our room. We found: toilet paper holder duct taped to wall, stains on pillow cases and comforter, lamp shades and a desk chair with tears, wall unit that was both scratched and poorly repainted in areas, and sockets that were so old our chargers barely stayed in them. We did appreciate two luggage racks and beds were comfortable if you could ignore the gross stain factor. Hotel is so basic- pool is closed, we asked for a corksrcrew and were told by a flippant front desk person, "Nope, we don't have them." Website says they have a fitness room- maybe. It also says they have a pool. Guess it's true you get what you pay for. Never again.
This hotel is about 4 min from the Cleveland Hopkins Airport and that's what I required at the time. I only stayed in the room for less than 12 hours. I just wanted a place to rest and take a shower and relax before my connecting flight. There's nothing amazing about the decor. It's just a plain room. I had a ground floor room right next to Snow Road so it was busy and you could hear the traffic and people walking and talking outside loudly. But if you can tune that out it's fine. The front desk staff was very helpful with her suggestions. I only had to walk a few minutes to the Bob Evans nearby to get dinner. I was able to access the room that normally has breakfast and there's a lot of tea, coffee and hot chocolate to use even after hours. I was grateful for that. Also there's a computer in the lobby conveniently for printing, which I wanted to use for my Covid tests and other documents. Since this was a last minute booking and I really needed to stay near the airport to make it to a 6am flight, I was satisfied with the stay but it wouldn't have been my first choice if I had to stay for several nights.
This hotel was incredibly disappointing. I have stayed at several Best Westerns across the country and this is by far the worst. Everything is gross, from the lobby to the elevator and then room. I am actually not convinced anyone cleans here. I arrived at around 2 AM and the front door was locked. The night clerk was unfriendly when checking in. The lobby was filthy but the room was worse! There was old food in the fridge, crumbs all over the beds and counters. There wasn't any toilet paper either, and clean towels were missing. It was the only BW that had pet rooms available in the area for the night we were staying but next time I will definitely find another hotel or sleep in my car. It was inexpensive, but not significantly compared to other much cleaner and nicer BW hotels I've stayed at.
I will NEVER stick my foot into this place ever again, I initially wrote a 5 star review because I felt bad. The rooms are good enough but my god these employees are so incredibly lazy and that goes for DAWN as well. It is absolutely INSANE that we have tried for 3 weeks now to get an itemized receipt since we relocated for work. We have had to call corporate MULTIPLE times to get these people to do ANYTHING. We still have yet to get that receipt. Once they did send it to us it was a picture from someone's phone with no name and not showing we paid. I didn't want a blurry picture from your android I WANTED MY OFFICIAL ITEMIZED COPY! These people have ZERO work ethic. This has left a terrible taste in my mouth and I promise I will not be stepping foot into another Best Western solely for this reason. And to add to another review the rooms are very wet and musty and if you enjoy smelling weed EVERYTIME you go anywhere in that hotel than this is the place for you. Every single one of these fools should be fired and replaced with people who actually want to do their job. Dawn you are a sorry excuse for a manager because you are NEVER in the building or that's what your lazy workers claim and you can't send a simple email. Please get a new job. And tear this place down and add some windows you can actually see out of. This place is total garbage and if I could of chosen I would of just slept in my car that night. Don't bother going here honestly. Spend a little more money at a place where the workers actually care. I also witnessed people having to wait at least 15 mins to check in because NO ONE WAS AROUND. You people really need a wake up call and hopefully that's them shutting this nightmare of a motel down. You don't deserve to be called a hotel. You shouldn't even be honored with motel either. Slums run by lazy people would be more fitting. And don't bother making it up DAWN because we already bit the bullet and didn't get paid back for this terrible stay from our employer because of your lack of work ethic. So don't bother writing a generic “I'm sorry you weren't satisfied”. I've had enough and I'm happy we are out of that money because I was done dealing with you bums. To end my statement, Travelers don't stay here. Everyone has a terrible attitude and the rooms are not good. Far below your average. Thank you Best Western Airport Cleveland for the worst stay on our entire drive across country. You will always be remembered as the place to avoid like the plague.
Usually i'm not a super picky person but this place is something else. The smell in the room was a combination of a wet towel, wet carpet, wet dog and maybe some weed smoke. The windows are blurry. The TV does NOT work at all. Carpets look like they haven't been cleaned for many many years. Beds are very uncomfortable. Pillows are small and round? I got very itchy when I got into the room. This is perfect for people who will only stay for a few hours but two days? No. Overall the smell will kill ya.
I was very nervous about the reviews but was blown away. The lady at the front desk with glasses and reddish black hair was so friendly and helped us with anything we needed. It's unfortunate that most of these negative reviews are because of people choosing the nonrefundable price. They make it very clear that it is not refundable. Doesn't matter if your mama died or you got hit by a truck. When you reserve a room for a nonrefundable price that's what happens. The hotel was extremely clean. The air cooled the room down perfectly which I sometimes have problems with at other hotels. Also some reviews are upset because side doors are not accessible from the outside. I'm sorry but I appreciate that. It makes me feel safer especially visiting a city I'm unfamiliar with. My advice if you are looking at this hotel and considering it, don't hesitate to book. I was very pleased and slept so well. I should also mention we have been on a week long road trip and this might have been the cleanest room and nicest staff. Don't believe the disgruntled guests. Try it for yourself and you will be pleasantly surprised.
We had a hotel reserved in August & had an emergency come up -they would not refund us our money or switch our room to another hotel we had to go to or even another date. Would not work with us at all. Called the hotel & tried to talk to the manager numerous times but staff kept giving us the run around Everytime - that the manager Dawn was not there-unsure if she even got any of the messages if so manager just as bad if not staff needs to go. Wasted much time making all these calls & it wasn't a few at least 5 or 6 but probably more. I tried to call a couple nights before the reservation as well as after & the one girl kept giving us the runaround kept coming back on the phone hold on hold on (I think she was hoping we'd hang up) numerous times called again the next day the other girl on staff at night screamed & hollered at us very rude-said we're not giving you another room or at another Best Western hotel we needed to use so we never got a refund or another room and they did not care that we had an emergency. Have to file a charge back with our credit card & will let them know all of this for our refund as well as give them numbers & screenshots. My recommendation-not to go to this hotel at all ever because of how rude they are and don't care about the customer. Judging from from the dirty hotel reviews from many others -we didn't miss anything.
We arrived at 5:30ish on Friday. 5 people were at the desk. After I stood there for 30+ seconds I had to interrupt them to say Hi. I was told it was shift change and they were busy logging in. I gave my card and ID and was finally signed in. No other greetings or anything. Usually there is a mention of being a Premier guest but that wasn't the case. I did ask if I was going to get bonus points and was told yes. The door at our end of the hotel did not work with the card so we had to use the one the the opposite end of the hotel. When we arrived at our room I had to plug in the lights. I went to take a shower and there wasn't a shower curtain. Went to watch TV and that also was not plugged in. Went to heat some food up in our Suite but no dishes or utensils. What good is having a suite that has appliances and no utensils? I went down to the desk and asked about the shower curtain and everything being unplugged. The stairway down from the second floor had discarded gloves and Q-tips on the landing, trash. Excuses were made and was told the shower curtain would be put in the next day. Breakfast the next day was lousy. No orange juice, no juice cups, half empty food bins, and more. That evening we parked in the covered area by the main door. Most of the overhead lights were burned out and the alley lights were not on, which was good because it hid the trash outside the building. When we returned the shower curtain was missing so I had to get one for me to install. Towels were not available because they were out of them. The next morning I couldn't have coffee because they were out of cups. Food was out, lobby needed mopping. Went to check out since nothing was mentioned about express check out being available and no one was at the desk to check me out. This BW has gone complacent over the last year and I hope they learn to improve before people stop going there.
Pool was not in working order room was not cleaned during 5 night stay. Had to continually ask for towels and toilet paper. We have stayed at Best Western many times and was surprised at the difference during this stay.
Stayed at the hotel because had a early flight out it not to fair from rental yard. Lobby is in the middle of the hotel and parking on both ends kind of a pain. The rooms seemed nice and clean. Had a few places to eat a short drives away. Would stay again.
Guess I should have checked reviews before booking. I 2nd the very rude & nasty behavior of employees & clearly see why all the bad reviews & 2 star. Needed to change reservation date due to emergency clerk said they couldn't do it Expedia had to & Expedia clearly told me the hotel had to-clerk basically called us a liar & said it couldn't be done (it can) so now I will be filing a chargeback with my credit card company will never stay here nor recommend & certainly let many others know this.
Very dirty, the rooms, the bed sheets, housekeeping, kitchen, food was terrible. The worst ever seen. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. It needs to be cleaned, sanitized and habitable for guests. It would be better if you sleep in your car than to stay in this hotel.
Arriving after midnight due to a delayed flight, they checked me in, The gave me the key and room assignment. I opened the door, and woke up a severely frightened a sleeping lady. Naturally the front desk gave me another room. From that point
The staff was rude, there was BLACK MOLD under the bath mat in the bathtub, had to change rooms; continental breakfast consisted of warm cranberry juice and dry cereal with no milk, no toast, no doughnuts. The pool was closed when I was told it was open. Horrid experience!!
Travelling to a wedding we thought we would be OK with motels if we stuck with a "name brand". This theory did not prove out in this case. The room was dark and dirty. Stains on the furniture and carpet and hubby saw bugs! On top of that neither the TV nor the telephone were in working order. Discovering these we?asked for a different room. We moved onto a somewhat cleaner room with TV and telephone that worked. The check in clerk was not very friendly or helpful.
The motel has free parking. My check in went quickly. The rooms (which include free wi-fi and a free breakfast) have inside entries. My room's television did not work and there were not enough electrical outlets available for my needs. Other than that, the room was well laid out and had everything I needed. I got a good night's sleep. When I left the room, the locking mechanism froze and I could not shut the door. My check out was slowed down to report that problem to the man at the front desk who was elsewhere when I arrived. COVID-19: Employees were not properly masked and there seemed to be no concern about guests being masked.
Gerry went above and beyond to make me feel at home. She is very kind and patient. She went out of her way to help me and I won't soon forget my experience there because of her. This was my first stay at a Best Western but it definitely won't be my last.
I was sent to 3 rooms, 1 with a broken carbon monoxide reader, 1 was dirty, and 1 was occupied. The staff members were all unprofessional, from their torn shirts to their attitudes they expressed with me. It took over an hour from check-in until I had a room to sleep in. The staff didn't believe me when I told them the room was dirty and the next occupied until they checked for themselves, they did apologize, but did nothing to improve my experience beyond that. I called the following day to express my concerns and was told that "mistakes happen" and "they were sorry for my frustration but I chose to stay so they wouldn't issue a refund or a voucher". I never intend to stay at another best western as it was quite honestly my worst hotel experience. I completely understand mistakes happen and I was very gracious to the staff despite being sleep deprived, but at 11:30 I was not about to go on another hotel hunt so that was an unfair proposition in my mind. I would never recommend staying at the Best Western in Cleveland to anybody.
While my car was parked in their lot over the weekend, thieves jacked it up and cut the catalytic converter out of it. Repairs will cost me hundreds, and I am told I have no recourse with Best Western.
I must say Dawn the manager there has a lot on her plate dealing with a lot of responsibilities as the owner or should deal with some of these tasks and handles them with care and professionalism however she has to stand behind her owner who has not offered to compensate or even before even apologize for the inconvenience of being locked out of our room for hours one night because the lights went out if the Best Western not even a bottle of water ...im still hoping the owner reimburses me for my inconvenience
My first clue should have been when I was told they lock all the doors at 7PM so if we went out and came back after 7 we would need to use a card in a side door, we would not be able to get back in to the lobby. the rooms are outdated, the main window in our room had so much condensation between the panes that you cannot see through it. The AC / Heater was extremely noisy when operating and there was 1 available plug socket in the whole room and that was in the bathroom. The hotel was also very noisy, people shouting and cussing between rooms, our door handle got tried several times during the night. I could go on but suffice to say I definitely will not be returning to this establishment. I use Best Western most of the time and am currently on a 3 week motorcycle trip around the country and this was best western number 17 on this trip. the other 16 all exceeded my expectations and received great ratings
Of all of my stays anywhere in the world (US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, South America) I don't think I encountered as rude as Salome. I had to listen to her complain about her schedule and when I had questions during check-in she answered them as if they were an inconvenience to her. If it hadn't been for the manager Ashley that I spoke to the next day I would have rated this location lower. I could have stayed at other locations but this was really convenient to my destination. The parking lot was badly flooded by rain and entrance doors were non functional
Toilet was backup up in sink. Had s king room. Manager gave me dbl queen room same price as king ?!?!?!? After 600+ miles driving. It was a disappointment. The inconvenience was a pain. Beds were horrible.
Picked this hotel in particular due to being a rewards member and needing a pet friendly best western. This was alright. Rooms were very clean and everything worked. Only issue we had was I booked a suite and no suites were cleaned so switched to a standard room and the staff was behind on clean towels. Due to COVID breakfast was closed so we had grab and go bags. I would of expected the grab and go bags to be better but we got a cheap bar and a muffin. Also had some issues with waiting at the front desk for service due to not being around. But overall was a good experience.
The rooms were not cleaned - no garbage emptied, old towels left in the room. When we came back in the late afternoon and asked for clean towels, they were out of them. Four of us had to shower after being in 94 degree weather on the softball fields. I had to empty our garbage cans and was told to put them out in the hallway (which I did not). Very disappointed!!!
The hotel is in need of a total update and cleaning. There was garabge in the room from prior guests. The hotel ran out of towels, and many items did not work properly. The TV was tiny, they call their rooms suites but in fact they are just an average room. Price was reasonable but I guess you get what you pay for.
As far as the facility goes, the hotel is nice, in excellent condition, comfortable, and updated. Breakfast was pretty good for this caliber of hotel. They could use some automatic doors in the entryway. Getting luggage in was rather difficult. They are also squeezed into a rather small piece of land. So, parking is not convenient. The entry is in back of the property. The reason I can't give it anything more than two stars is because of the pettiness and poor customer service of the staff. Act I: We check-in shortly after noon. since my husband had finished with his appointment at Cleveland Clinic. We are told that check-in time wasn't until three or four. I begged for the desk clerk to allow us to check-in because I was really sick with the flu. It was quite visible. (In fact, I didn't eat or get out of bed the rest of the day.). The desk clerk allows us to check in. Act II: Days after we checked out, I notice on my credit card that I was charged $30. Since I used a Best Western Rewards voucher, there should not have been a charge. I called the hotel and spoke with the night auditor, who informed me it was an early check-in fee. I told her that this was not disclosed at check-in. This cascades into an argument where the night auditor started taking over me, twisting my words, and stated that she would check the cameras to see if I was told of the charge. Really!?!?! You know who was the most reasonable person in all of this?.....the owner! I had already disputed the charge with PayPal. He told me he spoke with his clerks about their attitudes and would not dispute the chargeback. Note that I have never been denied a check-in at this time if there is an available room nor charged a fee for early check-in when checking in around this time at any other hotel I have ever stayed in. It's really a shame that this happened because I would have otherwise stayed there again. It was a really good value.
Room was so dirty, bed sheets were dirty , hallway and room smells awful, water in the elevator and the staff just puts a caution wet floor sign up instead of mopping it up ... would never stay here again. Most uncomfortable bed in any hotel i have ever stayed at. Staff was not freindly at all.
First impression was pretty low because there were weeds in the landscaping and trash in the parking lot. It was fairly clean though except for the water in the swimming pool and bathroom floor in my room. I was pretty disappointed in the flimsy little bath towels.
Nice & clean inside and outside. Odd place for the "front" door to lobby. Parking lots on both ends of the building-door located on two lane driveway between the two lots. A/C didn't cool the room very well. Most unusual-the window in our 3rd floor room was clouded (opaque) so no view, just lets light in. Maybe neighbors didn't like guests seeing their backyards? Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was above average.
This hotel is located right off the highway and no further extensive driving necessary. There are an abundant of restaurants and venues just up the street. This location is within 15 minutes from the West Side Market and other sights.
My room had BED BUGS and the hotel was unwilling to give me a refund. TRASH! I was bitten on my head, shoulders, arms, back, and buttocks. In this time of a pandemic it is a shame that this hotel is not taking every cleaning precaution. DO NOT STAY HERE!
The couple staying in the room next door to us were having a serious domestic dispute. The male partner seemed pretty emotionally abusive, with him continously banging on the door, claiming to be housekeeping in order to gain entry and not leaving when being asked to by an extremely upset female partner. On several occasions we tried to go downstairs to reception to raise our concerns about this. The receptionist was not there and there did not appear to be any way to get their attention. My fiance's mother called the hotel to raise concerns on our behalf, at which point the hotel were unwilling to do anything about it, saying they would not move us or the couple next door. This was a completely unacceptable response to concerns of domestic abuse, especially when there were plenty of rooms available. My fiance's mother said as much, saying that she would take legal action if something happened to us out of the hotel's inaction. This was a reasonable statement to make, given the behaviour of the potential abuser and that the hotel would clearly be liable for their failures to protect us or the female partner next door. The hotel's response to this was to demand us to leave the hotel with 30 minutes notice. When we asked to speak to the manager of the hotel to explain our concerns this was refused, and when we said we would contact corporate instead we were told they wouldn't be able to do anything. They acted like they were untouchable. It wasn't until we did actually contact the corporate office and they called the hotel's manager to explain that their behavior was unacceptable that we were allowed to stay. It is firmly my and my fiance's feelings that this was the worst stay we have ever had in a hotel, and that the particular receptionist working at the time, as well as the manager, need to be held responsible for both their failure to do anything about potential domestic abuse and for threatening to kick us out for raising concerns about this. This hotel clearly requires new ownership, something that should be easy given the number of people unemployed at the moment.
We traveled to Cleveland for an ACL tournament my nephew was scheduled to play. However it was canceled at the last minute due to the virus by the county. The hotel however was great. The room was large with to queen size beds, very clean. the AC was quiet and kept the room at even temperature. A large breakfast area with full variety of items, and friendly and accommodating staff, The parking area is large and well lit. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is conveniently located, well-managed, and has a welcoming and accommodating staff, Excellent breakfast room filled with a wide variety of food items. Rooms were well-maintained. Fitness room/indoor pool is a nice bonus.
The front desk was rude and forgot to program my key. So after walking to my room with all my luggage, had to carry everything back to get it programmed. Tv remote didn't work, tv kept turning off, the hotel itself just didn't have a good vibe to it. I would recommend a different hotel
Overall: it was okay. We checked in and the front desk girl was a little rude and couldn't find our reservation; then tried to tell us we didn't reserve one week of parking (which we had.) It took around 30 mins to sort out, and in the end it was fixed because I could provide the paperwork from our reservation (so may want to bring that with you or have it available on your phone.) Our room was okay - bed was fine, and it appeared clean. The bed, though, only had three square throw-type pillows on it with pillowcases; no actual regular sized pillows there or anywhere in the room. It was odd and they were not comfortable to sleep on. Be warned: the shuttle they provide (or at least, the one the day we were flying) is just a minivan. So there was only room to take one small group and their luggage at a time. Thankfully we'd built in extra time and let the other family in the lobby with us take the first shuttle, but if we had been in a hurry, this could have been an issue. On the way back, we got an Uber since the shuttle only runs until 11pm. Overall, it was okay for what we spent, but next time I'll check for another hotel near the airport.
The parking lot is not sufficient if the hotel nears capacity. Ended up b=parking in a driving lane in the parking lot, and so did a couple of other cars. That was the situation for almost the entire week.
At the completion of a business trip in Erie PA, I had an early flight out of CLE, so spent my last night at this property, I book for a very reasonable rate of $71.99 per night. Paying that price, I was not expecting much, but much to my surprise, what a nice property! My room was freshly remodeled, very nice decor, with nice amenities in the bathroom (this includes a very nice shower head). I am a business traveler Diamond Status at Best Western and Hilton, and I can saw I was pleasantly surprised at this property, as stated above, the pics do not due this place justice.
Always stay there for convenience when I have an early flight out of Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Always take your shuttle service and they are so friendly. Especially when you have to leave for the airport at 4am in the morning.
Stayed here the night before an early flight. All of hotel from the lobby to the rooms looked brand new. When we went down to lobby in AM to get our Uber we knew we were too early for breakfast, but the front desk clerk offered us bottled water, an apple and a granola bar. We parked our car here for the week we were gone and had no problems w/the safety of it. They have a small lot in the back for this.. It was also reasonably priced. Actually cheaper than the regular parking lots outside the airport we usually use. Their shuttle ran from 4AM to 11PM. Unfortunately we needed to be at the airport before 4 AM and didn't return a week later until after 11 PM so we couldn't take advantage of this. We would definitely stay here again.
My stay here was probably on of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. Upon check in, there was nobody at the front desk for at least 45 minutes. Two of us were waiting there until after midnight when the clerk eventually showed up. The rooms were dark with no view of the outside so I could not see if it was snowing or sunny. The final straw was them overcharging my credit card after check out. I am currently disputing it. Do yourself a favor an avoid this property
the hotel handed us a card for shuttle service for pick up from cle airport. our cars were parked there. They didn't tell us it closed at 6:00 They clearly knew what time our group of 18 was coming back.It was extremely disappointing after a long day and expensive
/the hotel itself is in need of updating, but it is clean. Other than that, it is a hot mess. They list having an airport shuttle but the hours of that shuttle are not easy to find and it was unavailable both comoing and going for me (at 8pm on sat and no shuttle at all on sun.) I did not receive my wake-up call. The breakfast was just absurd. There were no forks for 20 minutes. There was no sausage for 15 minutes and when it arrived, it was inedible. The "eggs" were barely edible, so I gave up and went to get toast. At 8:45 am there was ONE bagel left and ONE piece of bread. I got the last piece and made toast. That was my breakfast. One piece of toast.. I went in search of a vending machine for some water. Nothing on the 3rd floor, so went downstairs, nothing on the first floor. So gave up went to my room and called downstairs to see if I was missing something, there was no one at the desk. I tried calling from my room, no answer. I learned the next morning that there is one, but it's on the 2nd floor. If this is the knd of no amenities at all experience I wanted, I could have saved money and stayed at a Motel 6.
This hotel was just average. The room was slightly musty. The bed was too firm for my liking, They have no hot tub which is something we use whenever a place has one. They do not advertise a hot tub so it's not their fault but disappointing still the same. The breakfast was nice and offered a nice variety, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a wide array of toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, juices, coffee and more. But overall we found it to be nice but nothing to rave about.
My group was very pleased with the accomadations and hospitality, next time we are in Cleveland we will consider this hotel again and I will recommend to friends and family, everything was so close as far as shopping needs
Was there on a family trip . And have stayed here several times in the past few years . Always come a cross an excellent and knowledgeable staff , friendly atmosphere and a very accommodating hotel in general
The king hotel suite was very clean beds were very comfortable no problem with the room at all the housekeeper didn't come a bit early maybe 10 a.m. which was a bother because we were not up to cm but we did get more tiles and she went on about her way the location is around plenty of restaurants and store so that is a plus front desk was very kind one thing that they can do better on if there is a kitchen with a stove dishwasher microwave and refrigerator they should supply all dishes to fit kitchen needs being that there was a kitchen we brought Beverages and foods to make and eat and we could not find any dishes in the kitchen had to go get our own cups and plastic silverware ambitious other places that I have stayed at that did have a full kitchen had pots pans silverware and more but overall no other complaints Hotel was nice I will be staying again and the price for the room was awesome not at all expensive at all and upon my arrival the front desk agent Tanika believe her name was she was very helpful and kind
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room was not clean. Dim lights and rooms were smaller than they appeared on the website. I have never stayed in a hotel that when I check out I had to wait for the maintenance man to look at my room. If I could rate a zero I would.
It's not the typical entrance you would expect from a best Western but once you get past that the hotel is very clean, restful, and very quiet. If you want a better Internet connection ask to be on the first (only 4 rooms) or second floor (pet friendly) floor. We were placed on the third floor as we didn't have any pets with us and the Internet connection was very poor.
This is a perfectly decent, reasonably priced hotel if you're looking for a place to crash. My room was a decent size, with a comfortable queen bed. The bathroom was pretty spacious. The room was decently designed. The front desk folks were friendly. The only down sides: the TV remote was slow, taking ten seconds for the channel to advance; the shower was narrow, forcing me to stand sideways; the sheets were old and off-white. Perhaps most bizarrely, the window was heavily frosted (painted?) over, meaning I couldn't see outside at all. Finally, the entrance is almost flush with the driveway, forcing you to almost walk in the driveway and in the path of a car in order to get inside.
The cleanliness of the rooms at this property were totally unacceptable. I travel with Lysol and immediately felt a need to disinfect EVERYTHING as you could SEE crumbs, fingerprints on the glass end table, juice stains on the carpet and couch and what appeared to be a white food stain on the carpet, but was later told by housekeeping that it was "slime", done by previous guests' children...my thing is...if you were aware of the stains, why rent the room to someone before you get the issues resolved??!? Makes NO sense. I've honestly never been in such an unsightly, unclean room. The beds were super uncomfortable, one of the beds... I could feel the springs thru the mattress. The breakfast was decent though and at least THAT area was kept very clean.,
I have a service dog and was not allowed leave it in the room nor to bring it in the dining area. The service manager scolded me for bringing the dog in the dining area and told me that I could only leave it in the room for a few minutes and that it could not disturb the guests. I had to struggle without my service dog and get food with no offer of help from the hotel staff and take it to my room on the second floor. I forgot my room key due to stress and had to ask for another but still the manager/staff did not offer me any assistance. Refused to provide shuttle service to airport with my service dog. staff said shuttle service did not include service dogs then he said he was allergic to dogs and called a uber. Called for shuttle at 10:51 pm form airport and was told shuttle service ended at 11 and would not send shuttle
Extending our deepest thanks to Tamika who stayed on the phone with me and my boyfriend for what felt like hours while we were trying to get a situation with Hotwire under control. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND in trying to figure out what she could do to make our reservation work when Hotwire wouldn't. Even after Hotwire said we couldn't get the reservation we wanted she then went out of her way to call Hotwire herself and get the situation figured out. There aren't many people like her who can stay patient and who truly love to help people and make their day better, and she did just that!! EXCEPTIONAL customer service, 100%. Thank you thank you Tamika!!
The hotel is conveniently located to Cleveland Hopkins airport so we stayed the night before an early morning flight when the weather forecast was questionable. Check in went smoothly and the room was clean and comfortable. The ad said there was an airport shuttle. Beware, though, the shuttle was a minivan, so although it had a six passenger capacity, luggage is yet another thing. We had a 5:30 am shuttle scheduled, as did four other people. The van could only accommodate four people and their luggage. The shuttle driver was very friendly and apologetic but we had to wait about 15 - 20 minutes. By the time we checked our luggage and went through were now long lines at security we got to the plane and walked right on since everyone had boarded. It should not have been that close.
We stayed here durning renovations on our home and the place was very clean the staff was amazing especially Tameka Gill.. We couldnt have asked for better services! They had a very clean pool and fitness room and the breakfast was great as well
Our stay was just for one night. The hotel was very clean and quiet. Great location to the airport with shuttle service provided. Tameka was on duty when we checked in and very busy. She greeted us with a great smile making us feel very welcome. Check-in was quick and efficient.
I was extremely pleased with the help the staff gave me in telling me about the area and where places were in the area. There directions were great and very helpful in getting to the places I was going to. Great Job Staff
This hotel was just ok, the front desk person was not very welcoming, I had made this reservation on the website, but it wasn't working right so I called corporate and they were trying to help me, but the reservations were missed up and on the wrong date apparently, they said they fixed it and gave Ethel correct price that was a member price from on line price of $67. When we were checking on the reservation was not correct and the front desk person wouldn't give us the on line price! It was $20 more because the date was wrong which was not my fault since the corporate person helping me because the website was having trouble said he fixed it!! I use Best western a lot when we travel but I am not happy with my customer service I received this trip!!
Great time. My kids got to meet my girlfriends kids for the 1st time. Spent most of the time in the pool. The rest of the time we were in the room enjoying each other's company. Kids had no idea that they were playing with their future step brother and sister
One mile from airport Free shuttle starts at 4am Free breakfast Swimming pool Free Wifi Rooms I paid $84 in October Clean Good Customer Service Close to restaurants Highly recommend. Nice Dinner and Bob Evans across the street.
The mattress covers were GROSS!! The lamp shades were as well. Can't see out of the windows but a bright light shines in at NIGHT and you can't close the curtains. Had a kitchenette but no pans, skillets or utensils what so ever
The room, internet access and breakfast were all good. It is not near a restaurant, so if you arrive late you should have dinner at the airport before arriving at the hotel. Otherwise this was a very satisfactory place to stay.
This hotel knows what comfort is about. Their beds and pillows are SO comfortable. Room was VERY clean and up to date. USB ports available. Well sound insulated. Helpful staff. Breakfast was average, waffles and eggs and such. Will definitely stay here when we visit Cleveland again.
Breakfast was ok just the food ran out fast since the hotel was packed and they weren't on top of the food parking was horrible found out management is renting spots out to people flying and allowing them to use the hotel shuttle to go to the airport
The hotel room was simple, clean, comfortable. My primary reason to stay at the hotel was for shuttle service to the airport. I was unaware you had to make a reservation for the shuttle 24 hours in advance. When I checked in, I told the staff member my intention to take the shuttle to the airport and leave my car for a few days. She was able to add me to the shuttle schedule and took down my car information. In the morning, a different staff member informed me that I still needed to pay for parking. At 4am when I should have been on the shuttle to the airport, I instead had to give my credit card information again. Luckily there was still room for me on the next shuttle so I made it to the airport in enough time. The shuttle is just a van, and is only able to fit 5-6 passengers depending on their amount of luggage. Driver was friendly and courteous. I did know ahead of time, but be aware no shuttle service to/from the airport on Sundays.
We had a pleasant stay at this BW location. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good although limited selections but plenty to fill you up. Coffee and other hot drinks are available any time.
I was happy with the checkin service as well as with the room, which was large and comfortable. However, the morning experience was much different. Breakfast was ok but somewhat dull. I booked in advance the airport shuttle for 6:30AM , but upon returning from breakfast at 6:20 I realized that the 6 o'clock shuttle was only leaving then (meaning that the 6:30 shuttle would be 20 minutes late as well, and I would be missing my flight). I fortunately was able to hurry, grab my things, check out and get on that early shuttle. But then the receptionist came running after the shuttle, claiming that I didn't pay for my room (even though I booked and paid in advance through the BW app plus had the credit card swiped when checking in). Initially the receptionist asked that I get off the shuttle to sort things out, but when I refused (fearing of missing the shuttle and my flight), she went in, checked again, and then confirmed that everything was ok. Other shuttle riders told me that they had similar issues when checking out of their rooms. Apparently this employee needs additional job training.
The Room was nice. The beds were really cofortable. You had plenty of pillows, It was clean and bug free! You had good water pressure and long lasting hot water. The indoor pool was not as nice, it was cold and falling apart. Which was disappointing because that was the whole reason we picked this Hotel. The wifi was spotty as well, It would not load any of my online homework. The staff was super nice and curtious and the breakfast was very tastey. They had a very wide varity of things to pick from and aboundance of food and a nice sitting area to eat it. But over all a good place to stay especially for the price.
Friendly and helpful staff that I got to know by name by the end of my stay. Problems were fixed quickly. Clean and comfortable. Quiet and convenient. Free breakfast and coffee was varied, fresh and tasty.
Stayed here for one night on business before flying, washroom was dirty, I reported to front desk who were rude and said cleaning staff not available. I complained at checkout and they were rude as well. I am a long standing Best Western Rewards member, I will not be staying with Best Western again.
I have stayed at hotels all over North America. This is by far the worst location. The staff including the manager Vijay are incompetent, inept and liars . Do NOT stay here under any circumstances. They will try to get you to pay for damages that occurred prior to you getting the room. Con artists . This experience has made it that i will never stat at a Best Western ever again.
Horribleeeeee service called to ask a few questions didnt know I was speaking with a manager had a couple minor issues requested a supervisor while We added extra days he told me he was denying our services and did not care about the do not disturb sign on the door and the housekeeper still came into the room startling my kid. Sheets was dirty twords the foot of the bed like they just pulled them back up to the top. But the General manager didn't care he just told us to leave as we politely did I know good customer service as I have to show it in my career but thos man clearly did not and do not know Mr. Vijay Jadeja shame on you sir!
The location was very convenient for our Cleveland trip, we drove downtown to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Great stay with friendly staff, very clean, lots of parking. We would definitely stay here again. Super fast check in. Shopping centers nearby were convenient.
Dont rely on this place to pick you up until you almost wait an hour. I understand if they are busy but they dont tell you it will be an hour or so. They could let you know this so you can take an uber or lyft. Poor service and communication. Maybe they should not offer park n fly if they cannot handle the business or at least communicate how long it will be instead of saying ok he already left and hour later and 3 calls the general manager shows up. Bad service
we stopped in for an overnite during our motorcycle ride. very comfortable and great staff. warm delicious breakfast. close to highway on/off ramp and stores. plenty of parking spaces. fast check in and check out
Decent hotel comfortable rooms parking is ok restaurants are plenty around the are great location close to tge airport if this is what your looking for hotel could use another washer and dryer for those who travel for work and on an extended stay
The location was perfect for our family roadtrip. Convenient dinner options. The staff was friendly, especially the breakfast attendant. The line for the waffle maker just wasn't worth waiting for waffles. There was humidity that caused a dirty rug odor. Overall it was a goodnight sleep for the price.
Excellent place to stay. Make sure you have breakfast and say Hi to Edna, from the lady with the big white service dog! She'll make your day. The Reception desk staff are also nice and easy to work with. There are no shells in the ADA room's bathroom. Hopefully they'll have them put in soon.
Since there are no windows in the entire one side of the building (facing a neighborhood), it would be nice to know upon reserving that there is a window/no window option. By "no windows" I mean that all windows facing the neighborhood are frosted. I understand why, but have never seen this before and would not have booked the room had I known. The lights in the back parking lot were never on during our stay making this area feel very unsafe. The key cards were only set up for the first night of our 3-night stay, and the carpet was too dirty for bare feet, especially around the desk area. All staff were very nice. Breakfast was very good, and the Internet was fast.
The Hotel and staff itself were ok. The problem is the extra charges and hassles. I Never had this with any other hotel. First the standard stay plus 15% hold. Then when my Mother arrived she was charged 250.00 for a security deposit. This was never mentioned to me as I went to the hotel to check her in prior to her arrival. Keep in mind my card was already given. an extra 15% was charged for the security deposit. We were told that the 250.00 would be returned after check out. Which it was returned after check-out. NEVER heard of a double security deposit. My mother wanted to extend her stay another night. I spoke with the front desk between that and calling cooperate to settle out billing details. The total amount was given. Check out came and the charge was what was quoted to be by the front desk the next day. Well, my card was charged an addition 110.00 with another 103.00 hold. Called and was told I was a no show. Which wasn't true since we were there. Have to wait for the general manager to get the charges removed. I am still waiting.
VJ always does an excellent job and is very helpful during all of my visits, he is pleasant and helpful and it is always a wonderful trip into Cleveland. i look forward to my next trouble free stay at Best Western.
After having received an invite for a family grad party in the Brookpark, we looked online for the best hotel in the area close to the event. After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, we chose this one since it was close to the interstate and hall. The location is great, the lobby to check in is a little confusing, but look for the signs to the lobby as soon as you drive in! The hotel is a little rundown, and needs updating, but will do the job to get you through your stay. The room was clean, except for a little spots left untouched under the soft bed( pieces of popcorn). We reserved a nonsmoking room, and was surprised by the smell of stale cigarette smoke when we checked in. We didn't complain, and dealt with it, since we were only staying overnight, and it wasn't really overwhelming. Would liked to have had either blinds or a curtain to pull to keep out the sunlight for sleeping, but other than those issues, the room was well stocked and up to sleeping pars. We went down to use the pool for a couple hours, but never got in. It was freezing cold, even for an indoor pool, and there was no hot tub to go in if you are looking for that option. The hotel staff was very accommodating at the check in desk, and helped find a good local eatery to order pizza from that evening. If you are looking for breakfast in the morning, I would suggest walking over to either Goodys or Bob Evans next door for a more sustainable meal. The breakfast choices are limited to just cereal, bagels, toast, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and pork sausage, and a waffle maker. We got a better selection at Goodys for a great price! This hotel is ok, nothing fancy, but will get the job done if you are looking for something affordable and convenient.
Entrance to hotel is in the back alley area and we did not feel safe. Breakfast area was outdated and did not appear appetizing. Old mat stuck in tubs. I was disappointed. Room was decent except the bath tub.
Hotel was extremely clean and great value. Staff was very helpful and location was convenient approximately 15-20 minutes from downtown Cleveland. Fitness center was subpar and free breakfast was average.
This hotel is on an arterial near the airport (they run an airport shuttle). But it abuts a quiet residential neighborhood, so you get the best of both worlds. Similar with the pricing--it's definitely not a budget chain, but the rates are not "through the roof," and as a frequent traveler in metro areas, I think they are quite reasonable. But the main reason I am writing this review is to compliment the staff. Vijay behind the desk is an extremely accommodating host. He advised me on the use of the Cleveland Rapid Transit to get downtown and back for five bucks(actually $2.75 for me as a senior). Extremely helpful when major sporting events are taking place in downtown CLE. He even printed out a map for me showing me how to get to the RTA parking lot from the hotel so I could take the train. Another special mention is Damon who looked after the breakfast room. This guy earns every penny of whatever he is paid. Keeps everything moving, and everything clean. He brings real enthusiasm to what must be a very mundane job. I stayed for more than one night, and found that the housekeeping staff (Carrie & Mindy)does a great job of turning around room maintenance with minimal inconvenience to the guest.
Staff was very accommodating, friendly knowledgeable and went out of their way. There was parking for the bikes underneath the shelter and the shuttle to downtown was a nice added feature. The manager who drove us home was polite, courteous, and very accommodating. They pick this up from the restaurant that they dropped us off at within 10 minutes of the phone calls. The restaurant they recommended was a good restaurant. Overall it was a very nice experience
Flew in on a red eye and picked up a rental car and didn't arrive at the property until 9:45 a.m. Despite a 4pm check-in and with no rooms of my type available, they kindly upgraded me to a suite at no cost so I could quickly get some needed shuteye. That's awesome hospitality - thank you.
This is a pleasant property. Our room faced the street, but it was still quiet. We enjoyed the extra space offered by having a 2-queen suite. The beds were comfortable and the towels were softer than in some places we've stayed. The staff was cordial and helpful. Breakfast wasn't anything special, and they seemed to not be fully stocked; when asked for yogurt the attendant said he'd check but then never did - or at least never came back to us. The breakfast area seems too small for the number of rooms. Two suggestions - a light in the kitchenette area; and a hook in the bathroom. Would recommend this property.
This is a smaller property with a small unassuming lobby, but the personnel are nice and the property is clean and quiet. We had a room facing a well traveled road though road noise did not bother us, presumably the rooms facing the other side would be quieter than those facing the road. The choices at breakfast are more limited than at other larger hotels, but the hotel does offer hot breakfast choices, which were adequate. The room was nice, clean, and quiet.
I had a one night stay on a business trip. Hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly. Room was nicely sized, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was well stocked. Price was reasonable as well. Overall my stay was very giod and I would choose this place again.
The room and hallway smelled, holes in sheets, holes and dirty curtains, mold in shower, phone didn't work no-one seemed like anything was an issue...it was a very disappointing.stay the room had a musty dirty order I went and bought my own Lysol to spray everything in the room even the air conditioning unit.
Hotel is right off the highway, close to shopping the reason we picked this hotel. Hotel staff nice and friendly, room was clean,i wish they had a sleep button on tv i like to fall asleep with tv on ,breakfeast was good, The only complaint i woould have to say is that when we drove in and parked we didn't know where the front entrance was just looked like the side of a bulding all the way around . Other then that if ever back in town would definatly stay here again
We only stayed for one night, but it was a nice hotel stay. We were on second floor and it was very quiet except for when people walked by door in hallway. We didn't get time to try out pool or fitness room, but they looked nice. The free breakfast in the morning was good. It was nice to have more to pick from than just cereal and doughnuts. Only thing we didn't like was there was dirt or something underneath one of the bed mattresses, like it had not been changed or had dropped out of sheets?. We just slept in the other bed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area.
We stayed for 2 nights. Everything was clean, everything working in perfect order. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They even got us in our room early. The pool was clean and perfect size. It was very quiet.
The overall stay was ok - room was clean, but the linen and the towels outdated and worn out. Noise from neighbors bleeds through the door. Breakfast was not according to my taste - fewer healthy options, I tried it on the first morning and did actually skip it the next 3 mornings. During my stay the deadbolt locked us out, but the staff was courteous and resolved the problem very quickly. The front desk people are nice and helpful. The hotel has a housekeeping policy to vacate the room before 12pm to have it cleaned it you wish overnight cleaning. We did make sure to call the front desk every morning around 11:30 that we want room cleaning, fresh towels and empty trash. 3 days of our stay everything was ok, but the last day our room was never touched and we found it the way we left it. Very disappointing, especially if you are exhausted and want nice and relaxing night. The hotel is mid-scale - everything is ok, but it won't exceed your expectations. Just an average hotel. They offer a shuttle service to airport - the shuttle needs to be scheduled and the driver is nice and very punctual.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Damon is great! In the breakfast room Damon was very attentive, polite, and kind to me and my family. Next time we're in Cleveland we'll be there. God bless you Damon. keep up the good work. Edwin Muñoz
The hotel itself was clean and inviting, Very surprise with the $1.00 charge for beverage in the vending, loved that. Breakfast room was very crowded so I had to settle for a cold breakfast. The time for breakfast is not long enough when the hotel is full.
Just for one night, but had great pickup service at the A/P. The driver stayed until after 11PM to pick us up. Room was very nice decor and clean, must be fairly restored rooms! Super beds. Great shower , super flow and hot water! Very friendly staff. breakfast had aa variety, full hot foods, was very good. They allso provide van service to the car rental agencies on the next dat. We will definitly stay there again! Thank you Best Western for a pleasant evening and restful night!
This hotel is in a great location if you are going to teh Cleveland Clinic. We stay here when my uncle comes in for his monthly check ups. Staff is very friendly. We did not eat breakfast but it is included with teh room cost and from other BEST WESTERNS it is a hot breakfast. Try it out instead of staying in the downtown because then you have to worry about parking.
Staying at this Best Western was Vey convenient and affordable. You can park your vehicle for $7.00 a day, cheaper than the airport. Transportation to the airport was easy and quick. If my flight hadn't been so early, I would have enjoyed the great breakfast I saw them putting out.
Room wreaks of cigarette smoke! It's supposed to be a non smoking room. When I spoke to maintenance who was fixing my tv, he suggested since it was sold old to complain in the am to the front desk. Beds first off are not queens maybe a full size, but definitely no queens. Bedding is horrible! No comforter, just two sheets and a scratchy 1980”s brown blanket. Mattress is very hard. Room was not very clean. Bare minimum is done. And did I mention it wreaks of cigarette smoke!!!
I stayed at Best Western Cle Airport and was impressed by the service received the entire time! Both ladies at the front desk in the evening and morning were extremely kind and helpful. I was very surprised there was a to go breakfast ready for me with a flight earlier that the breakfast hours at the hotel! Also Greg provided a great shuttle service to the airport at 4am. He was very super friendly and personable! Beds were comfy and the rooms have been updated. I would recommend this hotel to other who need a place to crash before a flight
Located close to the airport and about 15 minutes from downtown area. Provides a very good breakfast including make your own waffles...regular or blueberry, fruit, cereals, breads, eggs and sausages. Staff were polite and helpful. Close to a number of near by restaurants and gas stations. Would stay here again, without hesitation.
The staff is nice and has parking included. I definately would stay again. Good price. Indoor pool and laundry room. Weight room and some exercise equipment. Bob Evan's and Goodies across the street. It's much better than the hotel downtown with parking for 19 dollars a day. I definately am pleased.
Decided to spend the night before my early flight due to the forecasted overnight snow. The room was a good price, well furnished, and the staff was very nice. Make sure to sign up for the airport shuttle the night before if you plan to use it as their van only holds about 5 passengers with luggage. The cleaning situation in the room was odd as the sink, toilet, and shower were very clean. But the carpet was dirty with lots of debris on it, and there was white power in several places on the bathroom counter. I also can't stand the pillows Best Western has as they are way too thick and dense for a back sleeper to use.
Easy to find Motel from the highway. Staff was friendly and courteous. However, upon arriving to my room I found hair in bathtub. Cable T.V stopped working and the weight machine was broke in the Fitness room. The breakfast was good and the eating area was clean
The staff was efficient, room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast provided was exellent. The location was close to the airport and my brothers home. The traffic and airport noise was not a problem. We will stay here again to visit family in Middleburgh Heights.
This BW is an easy off ramp away. The beds were comfortable, as were the pillows. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room was a bit tight and small. I did enjoy the option of having dinner at a choice of two restaurants across the street.
Prior to making our reservation, i had inquired at two other hotels regarding their earliest shuttle time to the airport and on site parking while we were on vacation. I chose Best Western for their location and shuttle time (4am). I made a 4 am shuttle reservation at the time of booking my hotel reservation, over a month prior. We arrived in the lobby at 3:45 am and inquired as to where we should wait for the shuttle. I was told that another party was ahead of us and that my reservation was for 430. I told the clerk that she needed to check her paper that i signed in on and the computer because it confirmed 4 am and that i Had just confirmed our shuttle time when we had checked in the night before. I was once again told that the other party was ahead of us. Fast fwd to our return. I was given a business card and told to call once we retrieved our luggage. So, I called and told the clerk, my name, that we had our luggage and was ready for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport so we could retrieve our car that was parked there. She acted had no idea what i needed to be done, asked me my name four times and i had to explain to her several times what we needed. Finally she said the shuttle would be there in 10-15 min. Thirty minutes later, still no shuttle so i called the hotel again and the shuttle showed up. Upon pulling into the hotel, the driver asked if we were parked in the rear left lot, and i replied, no we are under the overhang. He said, for future stays, you are not allowed to park there during extended stays. I told him, my husband asked the clerk who had just filled out our extended parking information if he was allowed to park there, her reply was yes, as long as it's not a handicapped spot. There seems to be too much confusion, inexperience or something at this location. It is doubtful that we will stay again.
the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was clean and breakfast was good. The option were also ok. Something for everyone but they could have had a bit ,ore variety day to day. All in all we were very happy with are stay for the cost. Would definitely stay again.
I stayed at this hotel for the purpose of catching a 6am flight.. since it is by the airport. I wouldn't stay here for any other reason as the hotel stands now. The good thing, they had my checkout receipt ready to go and they had breakfast ready at 4:15am. The bad was the antiquated feel of the hotel.. everything just felt old and dirty.
We always look for a hotel with an indoor pool and a good breakfast. The pool was great, but the breakfast not so much. However, the location was great, right off the freeway, everyone was nice and the hotel was clean. Rooms comfortable, very good value for the price! They just need to step up their coffee and breakfast game. Then they would have a 10/10!
The Hotel has a tricky entrance, Garmin a little slow in letting us know where to turn...plus the address doesn't exist in Garmin but we found it anyway. Apparently Google Maps can find it by address. We didn't have this. Smaller hotel, fairly new I'd think, parking not close to the front entrance which is at the rear of the building. Nice Breakfast, clean, quick. Laundry facility was very clean, did a couple of loads, everything worked. 24 hour laundry room too...nice when you arrive late.
We were mostly pleased with our four-day stay. It was convenient to drive to, right off I-71. We were able to get downtown quickly and easily. The breakfast food was good and hot and the pool was enjoyable.
CONS: I brought my son to Cleveland / Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his 16th birthday. We were staying 2 nights. Upon checking in I offered my credit card for the industry standard $50-$100 room deposit and told the person I would pay cash for room. They refused to take the cash and wanted to put the full price of the room on my card. I explained I didn't have the full amount available on my credit card and was forced to give my Debit card. They told me that it would take 10-15 days to come off my card. PROS: Clean comfortable room Great breakfast **Honorable Mention to Ekta for her amazing dedication and warm greetings to the patrons in the breakfast room!!
This hotel is more than adequate for a quick stopover. Close to highway but quiet. Room was clean. Breakfast was okay. Strange entrance behind hotel. We had a rough time finding check-in. Neighborhood seems safe.
Two couples booked rooms here because of the hotel's proximity to the airport. Our check-in was efficiently done but with no warm welcome. Entrance is stark. Reception area is adequate . Our queen beds were comfortable enough, but there was no extra blanket in the room, and the room was so cold that I slept with my sweater on. The tv kept blacking out for several minutes at a time, and the remote worked so slowly that it took quite a while to get to the channels we wanted. Room and bathroom was very clean, but we were sketched out by the rubber mat in the tub and the narrowness of the tub made showering difficult for my 6' 3” husband. Breakfast was hot and acceptable although I did not like the fact that the attendant (who wore gloves) split my biscuit and put the gravy on for me. Her hands were touching other things and then food. I also wanted very little gravy, and she put on more than I wanted. I did not see any fresh fruit. The scrambled eggs were hot and tasty. The breakfast room was crowded as it was small. Checkout was quick and efficient, and a computer and printer were conveniently (but not privately) located. This hotel serves our purposes, but I would not choose it again as I like a few more amenities than they offer. Price was right.
Spent 2 nights here for a short stay in the Cleveland area for a family wedding. Wasn't sure about staying close to the airport, but it was very convenient location for all the sights and not a long trip into downtown. Hotel desk staff were very friendly. Room was clean and quiet (no jet noise and no noise from neighboring rooms). Breakfast had a lot of variety. Nice that it was included in the reasonable price. Bob Evans is across the street and provided us another great experience for a late dinner of comfort food. Overall, Best Western provided everything I needed for this trip. I would definitely recommend it for others.
We had a great stay at the best western in cleveland ohio on snow street. The staff was very helpful the room was clean and breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next year!
This is the only way to deal with an early-morning flight. Instead of the stress of waking in the middle of the night and praying for an event-less drive to the airport I was just minutes from the airport in a motel!
This was our first stop on a 31 day motorcycle trip from NY to Cal. Celebrating our 50th Anniversary! We look for clean, moderately priced hotels with good locations to our travel roads and easy access with good reviews. This fit the bill just fine. we had a little trouble finding the main entrance but once inside, everything was fine....especially nice bathroom and bed.
Very clean hotel, breakfast was good, had to wait for the front end dsk people to show up, wait was about 10 minutes upon check in and checking out . the location is central to the highway to get around Cleveland. Goody's is across the street for food, Dunkin Donuts is a short walk from the hotel.
This property met and excelled in all of my wife's handicap needs. Room was spotless, fresh, quiet, and easy to manuevere around. Parking was accessible to door. The commode had safety bars, and the shower was highly functional.
Horrible.....where do I start with all of the shortcomings? We had supposed suite. It was in name only. It had a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. BUT it had zero pots/pans/dishes/glasses/utensils...nothing and when I say nothing, I am not exaggerating! Next downfall, the food and breakfast was not good at all. But if you were hungry, you had better get there before 9 AM, because that is when it shuts down, even on weekends, We left for the airport on Sunday, only to find out that they do not operate the airport shuttle on Sunday, even though they are 2 miles from the airport. Our cost for UBER with tip was $15! When arriving I had to wait for 55 minutes for the shuttle coming in (2 miles away). They made no apologies, they have an attitude that "it is what it is". Next downer was that they did not make-up the room and despite paying big bucks for the less than average room, we had no fresh linens, not clean room, not empty wastebaskets etc. No excuses, they said that they would "get to it", but that never happened! Finally, we were there for several days...stupid me for not moving after the first day...every day there was some outside company training class being held in the main break area on the main floor. They were watching movies, many with vile profanity right off of the lobby. This was absolutely unbelievable. If this is remotely indicative of a Best Western, I never want any part of them again!
We have stayed at this hotel twice and both times we were very happy with our stay. Are room was clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel is minutes away from a variety of activities. We went to an Indians game both times we stayed and it was nice to be able to relax in a comfortable bed after the game.
I stayed here while my husband flew to take care of business for 2 days. While I was here I did our wash took forever bcz only 1 unit each. It's a nice hotel has comfy king bed, good brkfst,I do like their tv network bcz u can pause n rewind live tv. Friendly staff. Free airport shuttle. They let us park our flatbed trailer n drop it there while I stayed here.
When we checked in the pool had a gross film all over the surface of the pool! Front desk said they clean it every morning at 9am but they had a bunch of kids swimming just before check out! They assured is they were working on it and our kids could go down in an hour! So we went and got something to eat and when we came back a lil more than an hour they had switched shifts and the new person working the Front Desk said it would be an hour til it was clean! So..we waited and finally it was clean! We booked this hotel because it had an indoor pool! Then went to use the restroom in the pool area and there was no door knob so I closed the door but left it so it didn't close! Unfortunately...another guests child wasn't so lucky! Another guests son got stuck in the bathroom and it took 6 ppl to free the child from the bathroom! There wasn't even a Out of Order sign on the door! Also... guests were leaving stacks of trash in the hallway! On the positive side...the rooms were very clea n, good size and the bed was super comfortable! The free breakfast was great with a large variety of things on the hit/cold buffet! The location is great as well!
Stayed here for 4 nights in July. Rooms were basic. I'm not OCD but bathroom had pieces of toilet paper on the floor at check in and part of a bandaid on the floor also. Next day housekeeping came in and “cleaned” and the pieces of toilet paper were still on the floor. The next two days housekeeping didn't even bother to clean the room. Wouldn't stay here again or recommend to a friend.
We had a block of rooms x 2 nights reserved for months for a soccer team and families and upon check in was told 1/2 of our block was not available! Displaced 28 boys and 3 families to another, very seedy motel! The front desk would not help - saying it was not their error - though, when we called the next day - magically those rooms were suddenly available to other hotel guests but not to us. 70+ people will NEVER stay with the Best Western chain again!!!!!!
All I can say is this place is a Horrible place to stay! The only staff that was good was the housekeeping and shuttle driver!! The manager should not even call himself a manager- his customer service skills are very disappointing!
Pros: it was close to the airport. It was quiet and clean. Cons: no shuttle service unless you make a reservation. Which we were not told about, until we needed the shuttle to the airport and it was already reserved. First day, we left the hotel at 10 am, housekeeping was in the hall a few doors down cleaning. Got back to the room and it had nothing been cleaned. The sink plumbing fell apart under the sink and water went everywhere. On the plus side, it was fixed quickly. AC unit was very noisy and it was either too cold or not cold enough I just felt it was over priced for what you get. Just my opinion.
Selected this blindly because other team member were staying here. Staff is incredible. Everyone very friendly from cleaning staff, front desk staff, breakfast and management. After few minutes we get call to ensure everything was top natch. The room was spitspot clean. We definitely stay here again,
Great hotel, we stayed last year and we come back for this year, good value for money, large clean rooms, comfortable beds, I must says about front desk staff were awesome. Girl check us in her name was devya if I am not wrong. It's hard to please everyone and in a busy hotel some people can always find fault but I have never bad experience here. We had travel with family and always enjoyed stay here.
Wow, what a mess this place is. We reserved a Park'n'Fly rate through a third party on a Saturday night and it was accepted by Best Western. When we arrived to check in (90 miles from home close to CLE airport), we were informed that the hotel did not have shuttle service to the airport on Sundays! Three different corporate employees of Best Western said they had never heard of an airport hotel charging a Park'n'Fly rate without a shuttle so we paid another $15 to go 2 miles to the airport. When we returned from or flight the following Tuesday, the same hotel posted shuttle times which stopped at 11pm. We boarded after 10:30pm and returned to the hotel after 11pm.........and the shuttle was continuing to pick up passengers when the service was NOT supposed to be running. Apparently, their rules can change at whim. The room we were given was right next to the front desk, so we did not sleep at at as there was constant noise. I run every day, but the fitness center was filled with ladders and paint cans. Our room was AD (not requested) therefore there was not rim on the shower and water went everywhere, including all the way to the door. If you stay here, don't expect customer service as they did not accomodate anything we requested!
After a nightmarish experience at the hotel (and i use that term loosely!) we were supposed to stay at for our 20 hour overnight layover at CLE, we found ourselves without a vehicle or room, in the middle of the night, in Cleveland, with two young girls (one who's in a wheelchair). We could see the BW sign glowing in the distance and figured it was worth trying since we were able to get to it on foot. We called before heading over there and the wonderful employee at the front desk was extremely helpful and sympathetic. She even hooked us up with an amazing, last-minute rate due to our struggles. The hotel was clean, bright, and airy as most Best Westerns have proven to be. The staff was absolutely over-the-top amazing. Our room was clean and comfortable. They have a lovely indoor heated pool, full hot breakfast, wifi, and a free shuttle to and from the airport. They helped assist me with several odd needs as we were trying to get settled in, one of which was even going into the closed kitchen and finding me something soft to eat for my little one could so I could administer her medication (I was unable to bring certain things through security at the airport with me). We had a wonderful stay. I cannot thank the staff enough for their amazing customer service and efforts. Good, safe, clean, well staffed hotel.
Traveling back home and needed a hotel near airport. Rooms were clean:) quiet:) And overall large:) Bathroom was of a nice size:) Provided free shuttle service to airport:) the drive, Greg, was friendly and a great help. Would stay again:)
This hotel is average for the price point. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was very large with a lot of counter space. The pool was nice but cold. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. Unfortunately, the dining room is very small and the hotel was busy on both nights so the room was extremely crowded. The front desk staff were kind and helpful.
Everyone was very helpful. Rooms was great. Be sure to ask if your room has a view if this is one thing you cannot go without. The rooms on one side of the hotel are fogged out because of a city ordinance. It takes a little getting used to but it worked out for us because we could leave the curtains open and get bright light into the room. Lots of parking in the back, they will take you to the airport where you can ride the RTA into town for $2.50 and $1.25 if your are a senior. Much better than paying $20 to park down town. RTA goes to the Rock & Roll Hall of fame as well as the ball park and shopping.
My husband and I were in Cleveland for a couple of days and needed a budget hotel near the airport. This hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the airport. The room was very clean and roomy and did NOT smell of air fresheners. The bathroom was huge compared to other budget inns. Everything was in working order (coffee pot, TV, AC, refrigerator, and most importantly, the complimentary WI FI.) Breakfast was very fresh and high quality. It included waffles, bagels, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and an assortment of cereal and toppings. Edna, the hostess, is very attentive and noticed that my husband had burned his bagel. She IMMEDIATELY replaced it with a perfectly toasted bagel. The desk staff is very polite and allowed us to stay a couple of hours past check-out because of our late flight. There is a small pool and workout room. If you are in Cleveland to sight-see, this hotel is half an hour (highway) from most of the attractions. There is a small family restaurant across the street called Goody's that is very good and offers some vegetarian options (10% off for BW guests).
My family stayed recently for one night to catch an early flight. The room was clean and comfy. They will allow you to park your vechile in the backnof thier lot while you are gone for a charge. It was still cheaper then paying parki g at the airport. No shuttle service on Sundays, but only a mile from terminal so cab shouldn't cost to much.
The first day no one came in to clean the room, replace towels or toiletries. The 2nd day they came in, barely cleaned the bathroom counter, things from the morning were still moved and untouched. The kicker was the bed was only remade, no clean sheets, I know this since being a woman I had a feminine issue and had an accident on the sheets, which was EXTREMELY noticeable! The housekeeping would of had to have been blind to not see it! Just plain lazy... On the upside the front desk was very helpful. Will not return!
I am rewards member and booked the hotel on my way in and return from a trip. On my reservation I indicated I needed two cribs. I arrived around 10:00 pm and they didn't had the cribs. I was forced to cancel my stay, look for a hotel that had cribs and shuttle to the airport with two sleeping babies in the car. When I come back from my trip they only canceled one night and charged for the other. I called customer service and told them the story. Is up to the hotel to address, they claim I never cancel the reservation and I need to show proof. I don't have proof. The person said it was canceled. I didn't write down a cancelation number, didn't write down person name. I am very dissapointed it became their word against mine. I am also dissapointed that I am a rewards member, have stayed many times with them and they should have a record of some sort that we always show up or something. I am never staying at a Best Western again, and if I have to, never this hotel. By contrast the Sheraton at Cleveland airport was great. They had the cribs made when we arrived. It may be a little bit more expensive and no breakfast but it is worth. Excellent service
We arrived early and they wouldn't let us check in unless we paid more money for a few hours. Strict about you not checking in until 4 even though room was ready. Poor location for restaurants. Definitely need some transportation
Very clean and spacious room (we had the family room with full kitchenette. The indoor pool was nice and the location was convenient to the expressway yet quiet. Breakfast was very good and the staff excellent. No complaints (other than the lack of hot tub).
this was a convenient location only 15 minutes to downtown Cleveland as always with Best western the breakfat was tasty the hotel is literally right off of the highway but we did not here any traffic. The only downside is the windows are frosted because of the close proximity to the neighborhood
These people are so nice, and this hotel is very comfortable and convenient to both the airport and the Interstate to get downtown. Our room was large and had nice amenities. The breakfast was terrific, much better than most free breakfasts at mid-priced hotels. The staff was great, and took personal interest in helping us navigate the city, and asked the next day how everything went. Excellent value. We would definitely return.
We only sprayed for one night, but the hotel was very clean and the stuff was very friendly and helpful for check in/out. The rooms we're very nice and comfortable. Would definetly stay again on return trips!
Recommend stay.. friendly staff. manager care about his customers . The room phone and television was not working. Came from home to the hotel to fix the problem. Will be back and I'm bringing friends.
The first time we stayed here was in October 2017 for our son's bday and the staff went out of their way to make it very special for him. This was our second stay and I can't really complain about my stay other than the person doing breakfast was obviously overwhelmed since the food kept running out and guests were left wanting. The room was very clean, parking was easily accessible. The boys enjoyed the indoor pool and fitness room. All in All it was a great stay since we got to spend time with our son who is a student at Baldwin Wallace University and the drive is only 10 minutes away.
Everything went very well while we were there, Room was handy for all of us, including my husband and Yorkie! Restaurants were close and with the weather being quite snowy, we were relieved to not have to go far. Will definitely stay again if we are in Cleveland.
During a horrible 30 hour experience with American Airlines and being stranded in an unexpected city at 4am we were lucky to find this Best Western. When we finally learned in the middle of the night that we were going to be stuck in Cleveland till the next afternoon we searched for a much needed bed. Dawn at Best Western was incredible. She had everything waiting for us when we got there. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered us a much needed juice which was more the airline had done. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean, My husband likes to sleep in a cold room and the air conditioner worked very quickly. The next morning the breakfast was excellent. We ate in the room so we just grabbed yogurt, muffins and bagels. The muffins were very fresh and tasty, the bagels were soft and there were all the fixings. They also offered eggs, make your own waffles and the rest of the typical hot breakfast options. All included in the hotel's very reasonable price. When it was time to leave the shuttle took us right away and the driver was very friendly. We did not have enough time to explore the other amenities at the hotel but what we did experience was excellent. When you are in the middle of a bad travel experience there is nothing better than finding a business and people who can provide you with some comfort and care when you need it most. Dawn and Best Western Airport Inn helped us during this "travel experience" and we were very thankful for their efforts.
Check in was a breeze, I believe her name was Jerry she was pleasant and fast and checked us into room 329 it was my sons birthday and his birthday was on 329! I LOVE THIS PROPERTY. Breakfast is AMAZING ROOMS ARE GREATAND THE POOL IS AWESOME. Will absolutely be back
My mother was flying home after a long stay with me, and she stayed here. She is 71 and a diabetic. She flight landed at 7pm and I was concerned about her getting something to eat. I found out the shuttle bus driver JIM actually stopped some place for her to order some take out food and stayed with her the whole time. Very impress and thankful
Stayed for the first time at the hotel for a night while travelling with the family. We were in a suite with the side kitchen which gave my son room to play with his toys and a pull our couch to sleep on. Family enjoyed swimming and playing in the pool in the evening. Water was hot and good pressure in the shower which is always something I notice. Breakfast had a waffle maker, eggs, sausage and the standard cold items. Overall great for a night and would stay in again.
Will stay at this hotel again..Good price.. very nice staff!.. The shuttle to the airport was fast and efficient!.. we did not have the breakfast so I cannot comment on that but everything else at this hotel was nice.
We stayed here recently and found after check-in that the windows on our room were frosted. When I inquired about this, I was told that residents in the nearby neighborhood complained to the city about the hotel (specifics were not mentioned) and the city required the hotel to frost the Windows that faced the neighborhood. I wish this had been disclosed prior to our check-in. The hotel was OK otherwise, probably a 3, maybe 4, rating. However, I never rate a hotel above a 2 if I find something dishonest or disingenuous. I believe the frosted windows should have been disclosed when our reservation was made. Fortunately, we aren't claustrophobic. Had we not checked in late at night after a long drive, I would have asked for another room. However, the hotel was fully booked due to the IMS at the I-X Center, so doubtful that a Room change could have made. If you stay here and want to see out your window, ask about this when you make your reservation.
The hotel is nice, nothing amazing. It was moderately clean. The fitness center is pretty terrible and consisted of a functional treadmill, a broken treadmill, 2 stationary bikes and a cheap stair stepper. The water thing in the fitness center was broken. The breakfast was good, fruit selection sucked. The staff were nice.
Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful, As a platinum member i was upgraded to a suite which had a refrigerator and small kitchen as well as a sofa. Very close to airport, rental car return, stores and food. Some local bars nearby if you want to grab a drink. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff was really helpful.
Really good experience. Quality for the price. Close to Cleveland Hopkins airport and a post midnight arrival. Would definitely stay here again. Super clean, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Easy check in.
Very nice room and friendly staff. Breakfast looked good ( I didn't have time for anything more than coffee). Disappointed that the free airport shuttle didn't start until 10 AM (the primary reason I chose this property). Staff pre- arranged for a driver that met me at 6:15AM. So that was good. The room was very nice - wish I had more time
If you are looking for a clean and comfortable room, for the price, this is it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, better than I had at other hotels. Very happy with my stay. Would stay here again.
I stayed at this hotel 1 night on my way through Cleveland. Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Some of the furniture in the room was a little shabby, and it was hard to adjust the temperature in the room without a thermostat and only an a/c, but i would stay there again.
Stayed at the Best Western while visiting family over the holidays. If was nice that the hotel offered a multi night stay discount. The room was fine and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast provided hot food choices and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The lobby was quite small, so our group had no where to gather, but that was okay given the great rate we received. There is a Bob Evans and local restaurant right next door to the hotel. The hotel is right off the interstate and easy to find. Fast food restaurants are less than a mile away.
We had stayed at this hotel years ago when it first opened. It was very nice with a big indoor pool. It was also a pre flight stay. We stayed again a few years later and it had gone downhill Quit a bit. . We tried it one more time and were pleasantly surprised at the improvements. This hotel is very near the airport with an excellent shuttle that starts early and runs late. The price of parking was reasonable. We booked the shuttle for 6 am. The driver was early but what was really nice was that they had breakfast ready early ( it started at 6am) We took advantage of that and it was really good. Lots of choices and hot and fresh. To top it off they gave us a little go bag breakfast with a granola bar, banana. and water.Saved us the cost of a breakfast at the airport. Both checking in and checking out the front desk clerks were smiling and so pleasant. Room was very clean and quiet and seemed to be upgraded recently. We have found our new go to airport hotel and will be telling all our traveling friends about it. Thank you
Great stay as usual. Can't wait to come back. Great location, good breakfast, not far from many different stores, restraints, etc. Price is always good. Staff accommodates requests when needed. Never had an issue
This hotel is well located just 5 min shuttle drive from the airport. It has everything for a airport overnight stay. Room were clean with a good size bathroom. Nights can be cold in winter unless to bump up the dry heater by the window which is really not the best. I do agree more can be done for breakfast but it remains a $80 a night hotel so one should not expect much more. I would come back.
No clear glass in room. Poor breakfast No express checkout. NOT a typical Best Western. Staff was painting parking lot between parked cars, without any prior notification. Had to wait over 10 minutes for clerk at checkout.
Stayed for two nights on business. When I first entered the hotel, I could smell disinfectant. I was actually quite pleased with this as I could tell that the hotel was actually clean! The room was sufficient and clean. Shower was clean and the water pressure was excellent. The room had a microwave and a fridge...both were used. The bed was a little firmer than my taste, but I am a memory foam sleeper. I still slept well despite this. Probably my only negative statement would be there is no vending machines in this hotel, so there were no options for snacks, which is no big deal, I probably shouldn't be eating them anyway! The breakfast was surprisingly good, protein, oatmeal and toppings and fresh fruit was available which is a big plus. Red Head Ana and Jessica both left sweet messages...was so nice to see that. Never saw that in a hotel before! It put a smile on my face. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for the price.
very clean and great people, awesome breakfast, great value will reserve again anytime, clean pool and spa great workout room staff was very good and friendly thank you for a great stay and will be back for sure!
Had a great stay at the BW....Room was clean, well appointed. Swimming pool was just the right temp and very clean. Staff was very pleasant!!! It was very close to the Cleveland Airport but never heard a plane!!! The breakfast was hotel fair, suffiecent not anything extraordinary. I would recommend this BW to my friends and family!!
Great value the rooms were super clean and I own my own cleaning business and couldn't find any issues in the cleanliness of the room and hotel over all friendly staff they all went out of their way to be helpful loved it
I've stayed here several times in the past few years, and it is a very nice hotel. Recently remodeled, good location, Breakfast is better than other BW's I've stayed at, overall a good choice in the area.
I would highly recommend this facility based on value, quality, and service. It was an excellent facility that was well staffed, well maintained, and had a great location. Every staff member we interacted with had a positive attitude, a good work ethic, and a smile that lit up the room!
Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Edna the breakfast attendent is such a wonderful person to start your morning off with. Keeps it very clean and well stocked. Housekeeping did a fabulous job in the rooms!! Thank you for such a pleasant stay
Stayed here on a recent road trip. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly and the price was best in the area. Free breakfast, common now at many roadside hotels was better than some restaurants that we paid for. Highly recommended if this hotel is on your route. A+
Staff is very friendly and eager to please. Hotel is clean comfortable and modern. They provide shuttle service not just to the airport and rental cars, but to local restaurants as well. Breakfast offerings were fresh and plentiful. If staying near the airport i would definitely return here.
best hotel on our trip, would've stayed more BW but prices in the eastern US were higher. We got a good rate on this one-best hotel for the price;; clean rooms, friendly staff, close to airport and right off exit of highway
We recently stayed at this hotel and used their Park-n-Fly program. While the hotel was decent they misled us if not outright lied to us by omission. We scheduled our dates for drop off & pick up with the hotel. The stay and the airport drop off went fine but upon returning from our trip we called as told to do once we got our luggage and were told they do not do pickups on weekends. They never said anything when we made our reservations about this. They charged us the full amount for the stay & transports to & from the airport but left us hanging at the airport on our return. We had to use a taxi to go pick up our vehicle at the hotel and while making those arrangements the dispatcher at the airport said that he had many people over the previous 6 months that had run into the same issue with this Best Western. He even said he had considered calling their corporate office to make them aware of what they were doing to people. We will not be staying there ever again.
Great place! It pays to be a Best Western Rewards Member because you can get a free upgrade on your room like we did if the hotel is not completely full! We enjoyed the breakfast, Edna is the BEST, cleanliness, friendly staff and overall good feel to the place. We would definitely come back again!
Clean rooms and helpful staff. Good cookies in the afternoon. The fitness center was small and the pool was okay. Nice people worked there and did a good job. Perhaps the entrance was strange and sometimes it was unclear who was an employee and guest, but they did a good job.
We have stayed at this hotel many times. It's in a great neighborhood where we can take walks after eating at one of the many restaurants near by. Usually it is a good stay. This time, however, the stay was less than usual. We never did see a breakfast attendant and the breakfast was not as good as it has been in the past. We were not given a gift bag or offered points as Diamond Elite members. The person who checked us in seemed as if she did not have time for us. On the up side, when we checked out, the young woman was very sweet and started our day on a good note with just her happy demeanor.
So I stayed on property a few times. This time was exceptional. Everything in this hotel seems to be amazing.. The breakfast is always great. The hotel staff is wonderful. Especially the housekeeper I had when I stayed . she was always on top of everything. Making sure I had everything I needed. My room was very comfortable and felt like home. Jessica was by far the best housekeeper I have ever met! Don't let her go! She's a keeper for sure !
EVERYTHING IN THIS MOTEL IS HORRIBLE. Flies in lobby, breakfast area and rooms. Musty stinch in room and hallway, no hot water, dusty window curtains. Lamp did not work. Rooms are in serious need of a update. Rude front desk lady during check out. Not what it use to be smdh. I checked out 2 days early. Will never go back there!
They are so nice, the solvent the little problem very quick!!! Location is good if you are traveling to the airport. They have airport shuttle or to the rental car center. I'll go to stay again place.
Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good, Bob Evans restaurant across the street, great water pressure in shower, a/c worked but still a little humid in room. Shopping center and gas stations a couple blocks away, and they have a shuttle to the airport. Nice stay for the money.
This was supposed to be an updated property. Aside from a couple of new lights, rainshower shower head and incidentals it is not. The first night was ok. In the morning we tried to print out driving directions to a couple of destinations. The printer wasn't working and the "maintenance man" didn't help by trying to manually feed paper into it. The breakfast was unimpressive with greasy sausage, some mushed up fruit, and cereal all over the floor. The waffles were good because you prepare them fresh yourself We came back to the room after a very busy day to find the beds unmade, the dirty towels in the bathroom and no cleaning. We called the desk only to be told there was no one in house to attend to the room but if we wanted clean towels to pick them up at the desk. The sheets weren't changed after 3 nights of staying there and we had to request that they be changed. The cleaning crew didn't clean the bathroom for 3 days noted by the same droppings remaining untouched. The only saving grace was the airport shuttle and the drivers...top notch but not enough for us to ever suggest staying at this property.
Seems like things have changed since our last stay. Confusing at check-in, scaled back breakfast items, Musty smell and very warm room when we entered. We are Rewards members was certainly not treated as such. We have stayed in this hotel several times this year alone and several times in the past. Must be time to look at others in the area.
It was a very nice hotel - didn't have reservations and was VERY last minute check in. Staff was very friendly, cost was acceptable based on not having a reservation. Ended up staying two nights in a row (second night I got a second room for family) as we were all leaving early the next morning (and I didn't have a reservation for the second night either - but received a small discount anyway)
Affordable. Clean and safe neighborhood. Rooms were clean. And the staff was friendly and helpful. Its a short ride from downtown Cleveland. Its also easy to find for the weary traveler as the hotel can be seen from the exit. Nothing fancy but clean, safe and affordable.
Clean, comfortable, great breakfast. Breakfast area clean and very attractive. Helpful staff overall, and the the person who ran the breakfast area was great. We used the park/fly program and it was smooth and efficient.
Wake-up call requested for 4am but not made. The early 5 am ride to the Airport not noted so staff was sent home. We were accused of forgetting to make arrangements upon check-in by rude staff at 4:45am. Don't stay here if you need to get somewhere using the hotel shuttle.
Traveling from northern PA to Michigan, spent the night here. Hotel is clean and provides all the amenities expected. Breakfast was attractively presented with a wide variety, including fresh fruit, waffles, eggs, sausage and the normal sweet breads and muffins, and cereal. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Don't count on the shuttle , they stranded us for 1hr 25min, then told us that because there van was to small we may need to use Uber to get to the airport in the morning. Was only in the room for 4 hours it was decent. Graveyard staff was helpful and apologetic for the mess that PM shift left. To many other places to ever take the chance with my family off not getting picked up or being able to be dropped off in a timely manner.
it is close to airport with free shuttle, they were prompt and on time, very helpful with the area attractions, things to do etc. I used Park n Fly, it was very easy and timely, there is road construction around the property but it will all be awesome once finished.
Was fine fine to stay after going to the Cleveland zoo. Restaurant across the street so did not have to drive for evening meal once checked in. They did have good cookies at check in. Room ok but nothing fancy.
Hotel was very nice. Staff was great. We had one problem and staff was quick to move us. Breakfast was very nice. Edna who prepares the breakfast was s delight. When we arrived we were greeted with cookies.
This hotel is located in close proximity to many of Cleveland's attractions, such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Progressive Field, and downtown Cleveland. However, the highlight of our stay was Edna, the breakfast coordinator. She was like a "ray of sunshine," always pleasant, very efficient, and we all looked forward to seeing her first thing in the morning. She even gave us some great travel tips and offered dining suggestions in the area, as well as information on some of the tourist attractions in and around Cleveland. In the short time we stayed there, she became like a member of the family. What an asset to the Best Western team!
When visiting the Cleveland area, and in need of a hotel, I always choose this Best Western. It is clean, comfortable, a good value and provides a wonderful breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The staff members we encountered didn't seem to care about their guests. The professional appearance was lacking completely at check in. An attitude of indifference at check out when relaying issues we encountered.
The staff is great but a little support in the breakfast area. Maybe a little more selection or keep the breakfast selects full and also hot. The hotel is a little bit older and some newer items are needed. I would recommend staying at the Best Western Plus next time.
What a beautiful place. Stopped both going and returning on our way to our final destination. This BW was a great find right off the highway. Pretty lobby, nice staff, comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Breakfast was good -- so many people using, they could have had more tables....I'd definitely recommend and stay there again.
All the associates made me feel at home. Very caring and friendly associates. They have a very good breakfast with lots of different choices however mine is the Golden Grams which they make sure to have during my stay
All over excellent. Internet was slow. Excellent breakfast and coffee is available all time in addition cookies too. Did not chance to swim or do work out .No issues with water in bathroom or AC in room. We had a suite which had every thing like a home .I will recommend to all I know.
We have a very good stay in Best Western Airport Inn & Suites Cleveland, Cleveland. Service, Value, Cleanliness, location are good. Very happy with our family stay, staff were especially friendly and helpful. Excellent rooms, good parking. The attention was good. Need to improve the cleanliness of the hallway and elevator
Gerri in the front desk is very helpful. Good breakfast. hotel is close to everything because it is near the highway. The hotel price is reasonable. Breatfast room is a little small but the quality of the food is great. highly recommended
The staff at the BW was wonderful and went above and beyond to assist us with our problems and travel arrangements. The hotel definitely needs a refresh. While our room was clean it did have an odor and the hallway carpets were really stained and dirty. Several families wanted to use the pool but it was closed due to cloudy water. Road conditions are horrible with construction.
Hotel was nice and had been remodeled. The rooms were not very clean. There were crumbs all over the floor and the pull out bed could not even be used because of the amount of crumbs in it. Beds were not very comfy and all the equipment in the fitness center was broken. They do offer a free breakfast which is a plus but the fruit was rotting, muffins and biscuits were still frozen and the eggs and sausage were not very good. The staff was friendly.
We took our mothers to Cleveland to help them cross bucket list items off, namely seeing the Cleveland Indians play the New York Yankees. (One mother liked each team. It worked out well.) The hotel was roughly 10 minutes from the District that houses Cleveland's major sporting teams, and not very far at all from I-71. There's an indoor pool and fitness center, and a fairly good continental breakfast spread in the morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful in dealing with the elderly mothers.
While it is a little confusing to figure out where to enter the building, once you get inside, it's great! The staff is friendly and even hung up the picture my daughter drew in the car for them. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Even though it's near the highway, the noise was not an issue. The pool was clean and had plenty of towels to use. Breakfast had variety and someone to help keep items restocked.
We have stayed here three nights since early June, and each time was a great stay. We traveled with our pets, a dog and a cat, and this hotel is very pet-friendly. Check-in, check-out, and the restaurant staff, everyone was wonderful! The rooms were quiet, clean, and everything worked quite well. The bathroom was immaculate, with thick towels and a good hot shower. Breakfast had an assortment of hot and cold items, plentiful coffee, and the dining area was well-stocked and very clean. Across the street is a Bob Evans family restaurant that serves delicious home-cooking, and the hotel is easily reached from the interstate. You can't go wrong staying here!
When I arrived I was greeted by 2 managers. I was offered a free upgrade due to being a rewards member. The one manager offered me cookies and fruit. The Room was clean except for some old water stains on the lampshade and curtain, not a concern. We stayed in the king bed suite. Over all a great time.
The staff was so helpful and friendly! We enjoyed our stay very much! The beds were comfortable, they even had 4 pillows on each bed! Nice rooms with a kitchen and spacious bathroom. Poole was nice too.
The hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Pool was very nice. Breakfast was your typical free breakfast. There is a dunkin donuts, as well as Bob Evans and a Family restaurant within walking distant. It is right off the main highway. Some rooms had extra charging ports, while our room did not have enough outlets. I just unplugged the clock. They had a shortage of bath towels when we were there but a huge shipment came in during our weekly stay.
Great hotel, very nice location to the Cleveland Indians stadium. Progressive Field. They had more than just Continental breakfast. Edna, they lady who worked the cafeteria, was a friendly as can be, and the breakfast food was fantastic. The rooms were up to date, and clean.
I go to cleveland clinic every couple of months and like to stay at this Best Western. It is only a short drive to the clinic and away from all the hassle of traffic in the city. Edna in the breakfast area is fantastic. So nice and helpful. Greets everyone when they come in and asks if she could get anything for you. She even took our plates away when we were done. Edna you get a star in my book.
We arrived to check in at designated check in time. There was one clerk at the desk helping another person, and then she received a phone call. The clerk then spent the next twenty minutes trying to help the caller with her reservation. That entire time, people continued to pile up at the desk. A manager came by and made a comment about this becoming a busy place. He asked one man if he had been helped ( he had not) and then the manager WALKED AWAY from the desk leaving the clerk trying to remain professional on the extended phone call to deal with all the people standing in line!! When we finally were waited on, the clerk told us the hotel was full and they had no reservations under our names (we had two rooms reserved.) She kept repeating there were no rooms to give us but did not offer us any help or suggestions on what to do or where to go- and the manager walked right by all this mess AGAIN and did nothing to help. It is obvious this hotel cares nothing for its guests. In addition to the terrible service and losing our reservation, the hotel lobby was quite dirty and the carpet had piles of dirt on it. It looked like it hadn't been swept in a long time. The entrance is not marked and is at the back of the hotel. Very unwelcoming. If you want good customer service and a clean place to stay KEEP DRIVING BY! We will not be returning to any Best Western.
Used my rewards points to book a stay at this hotel and I had a fabulous room upgrade upon arriving there thanks to my Best Western Rewards membership (and loyalty)! The staff, especially the breakfast staff were very nice, generous, and caring-- I will definitely be staying here again in the future!
This is a very nice hotel for the money. It is clean with the standard free hot breakfast items. The staff was extremely friendly. They do not make it known anywhere however that half the hotel has frosted glass windows. You will not be able to see the outside at all. No warning. Just frosted glass. If this is not a big deal to you, stay there, I recommend it. I won't be back though.
I initially used this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the park 'n fly (shuttle) option. But I was so impressed with the room and the friendly and professional service that I will definitely stay there again. I found it odd that there were no vending machines and you purchased all drinks at the reception desk, but loved that they only charged $1 rather than paying several dollars at a vending machine. And the fresh chocolate chip cookies, fresh from the oven, were an extra bonus at check-in.
Traveled to Cleveland for medical purpose; book a night at this hotel; very nice facility for handicapped travelers - sheltered parking, easy access, good breakfast. Handicap room was spacious, lots of room.
My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were kept very clean, the staff was very kind and very helpful to us we look forward to staying at Best Western again very soon! Thank you for all your services especially the lady that checked us in and also the lady that took care of the breakfast bar she was always very kind.!!!
Very nice place, lots of construction in the area but doesn't effect your stay. Clean rooms with big comfortable beds. Very nice pool. restaurants in walking distant of hotel. Shuttle available to the airport starting very early for those early flights. overall great place to stay.
Very nice place! Close to the airport! Free airport shuttle!! Lots of room, even a pool if you care to take a dip. Beds were not too bad. Breakfast was okay, better than some I have had. I would stay here again for sure!
This hotel was a little far from my family reunion but the price and the amenities were worth it. The workout room definitely needs to be updated. Some equipment very old and rusted. Other than that I was happy with my stay.
Nice stay, good value when going to the baseball game. Only about 10 minutes from the stadium. Friendly staff and very accommodating at check in. Bob Evans and family restaurant very close by. Would stay again. Thank you Becky for your friendly greeting.
We often stay in a Best Western when we travel and for the most part are satisfied. This particular one wasn't bad, just average. The pool area were out of towels totally and since we checked in at 4, I suspect whoever was responsible for that area just hadn't bothered as there was no one using the pool. The hallway and elevator entrance on our floor were quite dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Our room was quite large and nice and we were pleased with it. We had told them there would be 4 in the room but there were towels for two. We asked for more and were given bath towels but no hand towels. Just disappointing.
Great place to stay convenient and comfortable beds . Internet is good. I definitely recommend this property. As a Best Western everything is available what you need rooms are good size bathroom as well .
Best Western was very accommodating, and willing to work with us to provide us with great service and accommodations. When there was no shuttle available and we had to take a cab, the attendant reimbursed us our money for the cab. The check in attendant, checked us in earlier than the time designated for check-in, which gave us an opportunity to relax.
Stopped here for the night on our way to Pennsylvania. Looks worn and nothing special from the outside but don't let that fool you. This hotel is clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room had two queen beds and a pull out couch and a kitchen with a stove and full fridge. Decent, reasonable price! Breakfast included in the morning. We will definitely stay here again next time we are passing through!
Clean, friendly , tasty and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Bed was so good I found out the brand and got one on the way for the house. My truck would not start on Sunday morning and staff got someone there pronto to fix the problem and get me on the road!
The stay at Best Western was very pleasurable. The location to airport and mass transit was so convenient. And the staff was so friendly and accommodating friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return.
I stopped at the Best Western because I was passing Though on my way home to Chicago. At check in the front desk lady did not come out from the back until I call for her after about 15 min. After check in my TV did not work, had to call front desk for someone to come up check it out. She was unable to get it working, they had to change my room. Overall I'll just say my stay was just Average nothing special.
The location is great easy to get everywhere. Great hotel nice clean rooms. We used the room service that was offered and it was really good. Took a little while for staff to show at desk for check in and check out. would stay there again.
Definitely would stay again but with hopes of a better menu for breakfast. The pool wasn't warm so my boys and I was disappointed , although I was blessed to have the guest washer and dryer , I'd stay again because the workers was very helpful in all we needed.
We were pleased with this motel. It's an older building with renovated rooms. It was comfortable and quiet. The price is quite reasonable. The front desk staff were helpful. The rooms have microwaves, a small refrigerator, and coffee makers. Easy, free parking. The breakfast was basic, but good. We would stay here again.
The staff made a huge difference for me. The employees all had sincere smiles, not fake ones, and were very kind and sensitive. Our room was very clean, and the pool and fitness areas were great. Breakfast was an excellent experience. I stay at a fair amount of hotels for business and pleasure, and for the cost, this hotel has unbeatable value.
We checked in very late (3:00 am) and were given a free upgrade to a much larger room which was a nice surprise. The room was very nice. The only down side was that our shower had issues, but the staff was very apologetic about that and was working to reimburse us in some way. The highlight of ours stay was Edna who took care of the breakfast area. She was incredibly friendly, helpful and made our breakfast very enjoyable. She even helped send some extra food off with us as we checked out. She was awesome!
Not a very good experience here. Staff was VERY lack luster and not very accommodating. TV was OK, Water pressure was great, but shower and sink fixtures were not in great order. The AC was loud, but did the purpose. On the residential side, the windows are frosted and the room is a little claustrophobic. Wish I was offered another room in the beginning.
Hotel was very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was great. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. Will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Cleveland. Didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool this trip.
We've stayed at this inn numerous times -- mostly during the annual Cleveland International Film Festival. Although an older facility well away from downtown, it offers all we need during a typical festival: good beds; quiet rooms; a functional business center; a decent breakfast; and a fitness room and pool. This time, it seemed initially as if things had slipped some. Our king-bed room was left uncleaned one day, despite a specific request to the maid. Breakfast offerings like oatmeal were literally here today and gone tomorrow. Worst of all, I found the A/C system in the fitness room kaput; and it was still unfixed after three requests to the front desk. We were considering moving to another hotel for the remainder of our stay -- until the general manager, Vern Harvey, stepped in. Mr. Harvey picked up the dropped stitches, making sure we got moved to a larger room with minimal dislocation and that our room was regularly cleaned. He also apologized for the breakfast situation (some kids' sports teams had descended on the facility over the weekend, momentarily exhausting certain items). Best of all, he had the defunct A/C system taken out and replaced so that I could work out comfortably. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Edna, the stellar Monday-through-Wednesday breakfast room attendant. Edna watched over us in a friendly/motherly way, not only replenishing breakfast staples regularly but anticipating from our conversations what we might want to eat. She made a standard hotel breakfast something to look forward to! Bottom line: our experience was dramatically improved because the manager and staff cared enough to make things right. Accordingly, we would not hesitate to stay at this facility again next year.
My family and I booked one night (last night) on our way back from our cruise. The front desk was friendly and checked us in. She informed us that there was no smoking in the rooms (we don't smoke anyway) and there would be a fee if we violated the rule. So we head up to our room with our kids and while walking down the hall it wreaked of weed. There were two men standing at the door of their room, right next door to ours. We went into our room and we were pleasantly surprised by the size and amenities. This was a plus for us. But honestly, all we could smell was weed. My husband went downstairs and asked to be moved. We just wanted to get to bed since it was late (11:00pm). She gave us a new room on the other end of the floor. As soon as we walked in this room wreaked of stale cigarettes. I called and complained but she said there were no other rooms for us. I told her we did not want to be blamed for smoking in the room. Honestly the room stunk but we were only here for the night and didn't have the time or patience to go anywhere else at that point. So, we get up for breakfast then next morning which is supposed to be from 6-10 am and find the place filled with guests and pretty much in shambles. I understand that the guests were not picking up after themselves, but the hotel didn't have the man power to handle that amount of guests at once. At 9:15 (two minutes after we walked in) they ran out of waffle mix and my daughter told the woman. She said she needed 15 min to make more. In the meantime she was bringing out coffee and bacon. In my opinion waffles are breakfast on their own and should have been brought out first. When she finally brought out the mix she put it in a pitcher and said to pour it from there because they were going to be closing. Mind you there were like 6 people behind me waiting to make waffles and I was going to make three for my kids. I only ended up making two because of this and didn't want to make everyone wait. They didn't have enough food, or bagels to have another option if you didn't want to wait for the waffles. The woman was older and didn't have any help. After another guest complained about being told there wasn't any more bacon (only to find out later that she made more bacon) then the manager came out to help her. At this point it was 9:45. We fed our kids what we could to hold them over until lunch. My husband was grossed out because it wasn't very clean and didn't even eat anything. Not the most pleasant stay I've had in a hotel.
A great hotel with caring staff. The rooms are as expected, clean and modern. TV works and has On Demand. Breakfast is better than expected. The staff is helpful and happy, from the smiling girl at the front desk at 2am, to the kind older lady at breakfast that got me hot water direct from the machine for my tea since "it's hotter".
The hotel is very nice and the staff is very helpful. Especially we like the free breakfast with a lot of selections. The old lady preparing the breakfast is very very nice and reminds me of my grandma. Hope there is a place for tips in the breakfast room for her....
We have stayed at this property many times. Always clean, prompt and friendly service. It is close to the airport. They have a free shuttle. There is a restaurant across the street. Shopping and other restaurants close by.
The Staff was very helpful and kind. Our queen suite was nice and spacious. The indoor pool was clean and a nice size. The Breakfast was very good and the staff working in the breakfast area was sweet and considerate. The kids loved the cookies in the lobby.
Newly remodeled in a very nice decor. Staff was friendly, efficient, gave great service. Conveniently located to airport and all of the Cleveland area. We stay at Best Westerns frequently. They are always good hotels. This one was excellent!
This hotel has been renovated within the last year, so it matches up with any slightly more expensive hotel in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it's only 5 minutes from CLE by the FREE shuttle. They'll take you to and fro the airport (since there's a Rapid station IN the airport) as much as you want.
This is truly the best place to start a vacation, location is great. Best shuttle service ever. And you can leave your car in a safe place for two weeks. Great easy check in. The only bad thing was the stains on the carpet in our room.
First impressions do count in this case. April at the check-in was so helpful, she even printed a map to help me with my question. Our room was clean and well decorated. The whole motel was clean and nice. The breakfast was great as well although the room was small and crowded. We will definitely stay at this Best Western again if we are in the area.
Apparently expecting quiet to get some sleep from traveling can not be expected at this dump because renting rooms out for Halloween parties is completely acceptable here. Singing, yelling, slamming of doors, crying, whimpering, dinging of the elevator all night, people running up and down the halls screaming and fighting... and each call to the front desk was just them lightly knocking on their doors asking them if they "could quiet down a bit." A bit?! I threatened to call the police and STILL nothing quieted down! When confronting the morning staff with what happened the night before, I was told, "Well, we can't throw people out for being noisy." Oh, how stupid of me! I thought this was a place to unwind and sleep after traveling! Also, the bathroom shower and toilet were dirty, the room smelled like old smoke, there were no toiletries in room just hand soap, the front desk staff are clueless as to how to deal with my three noise complaints called to the front desk in the same night, and I know there HAD to be others calling about it too. And the front desk in the morning had no idea how the night even went as I was told, "This is the first I'm hearing about all this..." Yikes.
When making the reservations I called the front desk of this hotel to assure the reservations were proper and we could be having the stay we hoped for, comfortable! Next I wanted a suite with a connecting room or across the hall. We were traveling as a family with a 9 month baby that we wanted to be close by. AND we wanted smoke free rooms! First I was told they had just remodeled and had the pillow top mattresses like the ones used at the BW Plus. And since the remodel the entire hotel was smoke free. Then I was able to reserve a suite with a room directly across the hall. Everything Was set. As soon as we entered our room we knew we could not stay in it. It smelled like an ashtray. Remodel may have equalled new paint but not new carpet or drapes. The place stuck! The following move down the hall did not make it easy to help with the little one and be with the rest of our family staying at this location. Finally a mattress at a BW is not the same as at a BW Plus. Shame there were not any BW Plus in the area o of Cleveland.
Our room had a some what loud refrigerator. We notified the front desk and they immediately changed our room. The staff was very pleasant, especially the breakfast personnel. Very pleased with this hotel.
We just stayed one night. King room, the bed was VERY comfy (and clean!!)! plenty of pillows, and the bathroom is really big, I wish I had stayed longer so I had a reason to do my hair and make-up in there! haha. Only complaint would be that you can hear people out in the hallway, which means they can hear anything from your room too... We didn't get to use the pool but that was b/c I forgot my swimsuit. But, such a nice Establishment, I guess the prices could be a bit lower. But, it wasn't too much money. Breakfast looked good, I didn't eat but my husband did.
Staff was friendly, at check-in and check out. The rooms are very clean. I asked where the closest mailbox was and the receptionist offered to mail out my letters for me. At check-out they offered to go bags.
I was pleasantly surprised, large comfortable queen beds, great bathroom, power shower, great internet, swimming pool was added bonus, great friendly staff, great location, quiet rooms. A little more costly due to change in £-$ rates, but just so comfortable.
Very nice hotel. clean. rooms are great size. Breakfast was good..Very convenient to airport. Remodeling now so will only be better. Beds were very comfortable and rooms are clean . Great value for a hotel stay
We stayed the night and the beds were very comfortable and had plenty of pillows,. They were having work done on the outside the detracted a little from the looks and also the people sitting around on the curbs outside smoking. But otherwise we were quite satisfied.
Stayed for 1 night. Rooms are very large and decent bed sizes. Large bathroom. Very quiet and clean. Staff very friendly. Great little breakfast set up with both hot and cold food. Deff recommend for Cleveland airport stays.
Very good service and very helpful staff, WiFi was available, parking was free, shuttle bus service - close to shopping, transit service, all breakfast services which was perfect, overall a very good experience and I would go back - it is right off the highway which made our travelling so much easier.
Stayed for the night for a sports weekend. It was the most reasonable price for accommodations that weekend. Easy to access from freeway, good parking and area is good. Rooms were clean and the staff were accommodating thanks for the early check in being allowed cause of the early start of the baseball game. Pool area was good. Typical hotel breakfast fare.
The room was a much needed relief from the humid heat outdoors. It was clean, spacious (it was just my husband and I), and conveniently located. We had a long weekend of family obligations mixed with playing tourist at the Rock and Roll HOF, NFL HOF, and meandering through Cleveland. We were within a quick drive from everything and didn't have to pay the "in the city" prices. The staff was very helpful with directions to local grocery stores, gas stations, and extra pillows for the room.
The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed nice conversation with them. Many laughs. Pool could have been a little warmer. Beds were not soft. Would go back if we are ever in the area.
We've stayed here in the past and will definitely stay here again. We used the park and stay and we not disappointed. The shuttle was waiting for us both going and coming. Everyone was very helpful and we would highly recommend this hotel. our favorite place to stay & park. And yes they are walking distance to two great places to eat. Room clean and comfortable.
The hotel was clean. The staff was helpful. It was close to several places to eat. Bed was comfortable. Proximity to airport was great. Very good about picking up clients and delivering to the airport.
We were able to get a room at this property for under $100 which seems good for Cleveland. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed seemed new and was medium firmness. We had a fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was clean and the room was big enough that we had room to move around. The only issue was that the room was either freezing or humid..there was not much in between. The front desk staff was friendly and Edna, who oversaw breakfast was very helpful and cheerful. We will stay here again. This is a basic hotel but we felt it was a good value for what we paid.
Stayed here while going to a couple of Cleveland Indians baseball games. Since Progressive Field is right next to the highway and so is the hotel , it was only about 15 minutes from parking to the hotel. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. There was a lack of stairs to access the 2nd floor. Good value hotel.
This was a great hotel close to the airport. We arrived to Cleveland too late to pick up our rental car. This was the only hotel I called that had a 24 hour shuttle. The shuttle arrived at 1 am to pick us up. Front desk staff was friendly. We booked through Expedia and only king rooms were available, however the hotel accommodated us with double queens when we asked. Breakfast the next morning was a pleasant surprise. I expected continental at best, so was happy to see fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, assorted breads, and biscuits and gravy!
I like the Best Western chain, but I realize that I must like the Best Western PLUS as opposed to the regular Best Western. We were very frustrated that our key cards to our room kept not working. We had to ask the front desk for help at least 5 times during our stay. The staff were very pleasant, but I felt bad for them as they were obviously understaffed. We didn't require daily housekeeping and the staff was very respectful to our "Quiet Please" door hanger. The free hot breakfast was very good, but the room was pretty small, as was the whole hotel. During the 8am peak hour, it was a mad house! Be sure to arrive before 7 or after 9 for less congestion. Our room's window was frosted over so we couldn't see out and it didn't open either. The room was very musty and we ended up getting sick on the third night. Our door let in the hallway light, so be sure to bring an eye mask if you are sensitive to light when you are sleeping. The pillows and bed were very comfortable, but not much for blankets. Bring an extra blanket if you get cold easily. The water pressure was great and the microwave, fridge, tv and wifi were good.
Took an annual trip with my brothers-in-law, to see a couple ballgames and visit the Hall of Fame. We were a little worried about staying downtown, and the cost/return factor seemed good with the BW. Plenty of parking, very close to the airport (less than five minutes even during rush), and centrally located to plenty of shopping/dining. We found it the perfect location, as we could be to Progressive Field (and the HoF) in roughly half an hour, parking lot to parking lot. We also visited Akron for a minor league game, this was convenient. Negatives: The entrance is odd. Front lobby in the back, narrow passageway, wasn't sure I was at the right door until I went in. Also, the workout area, which we tried to use, was very sub-par. One treadmill wasn't working, the place was dusty and generally looked like an afterthought. They had a pool, we didn't use it, and we were doing so much late night eating we didn't utilize the breakfast, although both areas seemed to fill basic needs. Coffee was goode. In general, this is an aged motel but clean and safe motel. The price (I think right at a hundred bucks a night with all fees, give or take, AAA rate) was a good rate, the area was pretty safe. The Room: Decent. Worn, but clean. Beds were comfortable, there was table/chair/refrigerator, etc. We weren't there much, but notice clean, and this was clean. Bathroom clean, acceptable. I didn't really think about it until I sat to write this, which means it was acceptable. I was driving, but my two travel mates used the shuttle and found it on time, fantastic, the guy a decent sort (see below). Big advantage to the motel was the staff. Everyone was very, very nice. Helpful. It seemed to rub off on the customers, it was just a “nice feel.” I'm especially grateful to the guy driving the airport shuttle, as he came and jumped my car when I left the lights on, saving me a two hour wait for AAA. He was just a great guy, and the gal at the front desk all three days (sorry, I didn't write down names) we're just friendly, outgoing, etc. I'd stay here again. In fact, when trying to decide quick family trips, I'd consider taking my wife and kids here because I know this place makes a good home-base. Good bang-for-buck experience, thanks guys.
I would definately stay at this hotel again when visiting Cleveland. I felt safe and comfortable with two young kids. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite was just what my family needed with full size fridge, mini stove, microwave and dishwasher. The shuttle service was excellent. The driver was very friendly and courteous. The front desk staff went above and beyond to assist me. There was a new lady but the manager was very patient in helping her get me checked in. Every single housekeeper spoke to us with a smile. The location was soso, kind of backwards but that want stop us from staying there again.
It is a nice, clean and convenient place to stay. I stayed one night on a business trip and enjoyed my stay. Nicer, cleaner and a more well-kept place among the Best Western brand properties. Will consider this place if I'm back in the area.
A friend and I stayed here in 8/2016. The place has been remodeled since my last stay. It really looks nice. The black countertops in the bathroom give it a real classy look and breakfast was really good. I will recommend it to others.
The hotel was located in a very accessible location to all major attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and the breakfast was ample. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to families and business personal.
Stayed for a night for a tour. The room in general was in average shape. restaurant across the road which is convenient as well. Breakfast facilities were to small even considering we were in a tour group. The toaster could only fit two pieces as the other half was broken and only two hot food selections. The wifi did not work at all either. Staff were not overly friendly however did answer any questions we had.
Room was clean and complimentary breakfast was good. The rooms in the back of the hotel have windows that are frosted over for privacy of residential area next door. If you want a window that you can see out of select a room in front of the hotel facing the street. Our room phone rang about a dozen times throughout the night from travelers at the airport inquiring about rooms. The hotel staff was very friendly and the manager exceeded our expectations by significantly reducing our bill. I'm sure that the hotel has eliminated this problem. Overall, a nice place to stay.
Like many Blue Jays Fans, we followed them to Cleveland and unfortuately just like the game...it was a loss!! Don't get me wrong...this BW has all the standard breakfast food in a small space, considering the lobby is 2x larger then the breakfast area...it's just that only half of our family was able to have a shower due to a 'handle' issue and the toilet ran because of a 'handle' issue and the handyman wouldn't be in until....let's just say that we appreciated the $40 discount but I'm not sure it was enough to make me want to try again!
Very clean and quiet with sufficient parking space. Breakfast area is quite small for the weekend crowd, even though it was used an hour prior to closing. Under powdered staff in this area, due to multiple requests for utensils and additional foods.
Very nice hotel. Went out of their way to allow us to check in early so we could get on our way. When we finally got back that evening, our bags were ready and we were able to go right to the room. Quick and fast service and a nice clean room
nice property, close to airport, free shuttle to airport. staff are pleasant, rooms are spacious and clean. Easy access to City, about 25 minutes drive - and the property is far more reasonably priced than those downtown. A good mix of business people and tourists. Have stayed several times at this location
Came to Cleveland for family party and school reunion. I stayed in several hotels during my stay. Best Western was excellent. Staff was friendly and very helpful. As a time share owner I am used to staying in resorts because there aren't any resorts in Cleveland I look to see that the hotel has free internet, a microwave and Fridge as well as nice comfy beds. Best Western had it all. I would defiantly stay again.
Hotel was in a great location and was less than a few minutes from where I needed to go. Room and staff were very nice and the breakfast was set up very well. It was easy to drive in and out of the hotel with very minimal traffic blocking us in. The shuttles to the airport were very nice to have.
Very nice, clean hotel! Staff was friendly and efficient, WiFi worked wonderfully. Nice selections at AM hot breakfast. We were flying out of Cleveland and found that we could pay a little extra to keep our car at the hotel and take their shuttle. Such a bonus! Such a value! They took us right to our airlines door and picked us up there too! Our economical and very convenient airport connection! We'll definitely be back and we will spread the good word!
Very nice hotel, conveniently located near the airport. We arrived late on Thursday night/Fri am and were able to get to the hotel very quickly. Very nice comfortable beds, large spacious room with sitting area and mini kitchenette. Friendly nice staff and a good ,hot expanded continental breakfast in the morning. Only problem was very limited parking, all full by the time we got there and they had a section partitioned off for a bus, We had to move the blockade and park in the lot because we were not going to risk parking on the street in an unfamiliar area.
The Best Western Cleveland Airport is a newer looking property with the features you'd expect, but nothing to take it to the next level where we would commit to staying again without trying other options first. The room was clean and well maintained. We were in a kitchenette suite, which was excellent for the small family gathering we met there for. Our biggest disappointment was in the service. While our check in experience was good, we had issues after that that were unresolved. Upon checking in, our keys took several minutes of trying to get in the room before they worked. We kept getting a yellow/green flashing light. We reported this to the desk who offered to make us new keys. Breakfast the first morning was crowded, juice machine was out or order and milk was not restocked. This meant your choice for drinks were coffee or water. The woman who was in charge of the breakfast area ran around like a bull in a china shop but didn't really attend to anything. The first day we stepped out to the zoo until late afternoon. When we returned, we had not received service. Instead, there was a note under our door that as of 1:18pm our do not disturb sign was on our door. Not only was our DND not used for our entire stay, but our deadbolt could not have been locked because no one was in our room. I think the same door issue we had reported the night before lead the housekeeping staff to think the deadbolt was locked, causing a lapse in service. We went to the pool after dinner. There were probably 4 towels to serve the 30 people trying to use the tiny pool. A front desk agent did restock about 15 towels a little later, but they were quickly depleted. Our pool experience Sunday morning was the same- even with an empty pool, towels were scarce. The windows in the room are densely frosted, so you have zero view outside to see if you should bring your umbrella or sunblock. We had 3 guests registered to our room- king bed with a pull out couch- yet there were only towels in the room for two. We also had to call and have bedding brought to the room- a 10 pm inconvenience once we realized it. Bedding should be in the room for pull outs. In fairness to the staff, they were quick to respond to our requests for both bath towels and bedding. Overall facilities pass the grade, but some simple service tweaks would have drastically improved our experience.
This hotel was just off the freeway which I appreciated. The room was clean, which is my main concern and priority. We had plenty of space. I did not have any problems other than no juice for breakfast, which really isn't a problem. I was quite satisfied with our stay here
This hotel was not clean, the pool was the worse and the pool restroom was dirty with t.paper strewn about. Spills on the floor for 2 days and very little poolside chairs, ect.. Even my 3 year old noticed.
Overall good experience, except for breakfast. Get down there 30-45 minutes before it closes to make sure you get all the options as the other guests received. Most of the breakfast was put away and being put away as we filled our plates, milk was empty, coffee very watered down, and fruit was not restocked. Employees then started coming in and getting food from the kitchen that had been put away so we weren't able to choose from it like we should've been able to. Left us with a very very unhappy three year old because the waffles were put away and he couldn't have a banana. Doors should be closed before putting the food away. Especially while we were being rushed to get our food by the kitchen staff because "they close in 5 minutes".
Stopped here on our way to Vermont. Arrived late. Friendly staff on arrival. 2 bed queen suite with a pullout couch was very spacious and pet friendly also. Very comfortable beds and nice breakfast offered in the morning. Very much recommended.
I hate staying in hotels because I always find something that wasn't cleaned to my satisfaction, but this hotel was very clean and well kept. The cleanliness made for a very pleasurable stay. The breakfast was very nice (typical make your own waffles, toast, bagels). The pool was a little cloudy, and small, but it was the ONLY thing that I could find that was less than satisfactory.
Every hotel gouges the public during big events, so no surprise there. But if you are going to charge 4 or 5 times the normal rate during the Republican convention, you can at least provide a few upgrades. This hotel is fine for $60ish a night, but when people are paying hundreds, you could at least fix the equipment in the fitness room, do a better job on breakfast and provide a little more maid service. The fitness room is sub par to start with, but even with that, half the equipment is broken. They have a breakfast, so you have to count that as a plus. However, one half of the toaster doesn't toast, the serving dish for the eggs doesn't heat properly so the eggs are cold, and there is no ‘real' oatmeal – only instant packets. With the excess revenue from the higher prices from a only a few guests, they could have bought a toaster, a crock pot for oatmeal and fixed the exercise gear. The maid service is a one-time chance. If you are indisposed or sleeping at the one time they come, you are out of luck. Or in my case, if you are working the convention on an odd shift, you never get your room cleaned. Again, if paying the extra cash, perhaps there should be at least a minimal upgrade in service. Bottom line, this hotel is fine for the $60ish $70ish sector of the hotel market, but they should have stepped up their game when they are charging exorbitant prices during the Republican Convention.
Delivered what I reserved, no issues with late arrival Breakfast buffet was good . Convenient location to cleveland and sites. Room was exceptionally clean and there were enough linen for the pull out bed.
Stayed the night on Friday the 15th. Was a one night stay, went to see Seinfeld and didn't want to drive the 2 hours back home. Everything was perfect. The lady checking us in was nice and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again
Hotel was selected because I needed to stay near airport with a hotel that has a 24 hour shuttle service. Although this hotel did not have vending machines they sold canned soft drinks for $1.and gave bottled water away. The WiFi speed seemed fast enough for my needs. The breakfast was very good, and the hours it was offered was adequate.
We arrived to Cleveland and the Best Western about 2 a.m. We were picked up at the airport. We had trouble finding the pick-up location but the driver waited for us. Our room was very nice and the breakfast was wonderful. Many choices, all good.
The staff is really nice and so are the rooms but the breakfast could use a little work. The pool area was really nice but lacked a hot tub but the nice hot shower done okay to replace it I liked the area the hotel is in also close to a lot of things to do
This facility had a high quality of services. I could charge two cell phones, watch TV, sleep comfortably, with a self-service room for breakfast. It was miles from downtown, but near the expressway that took us quickly to our destination, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Good experience. We didn't get into the Cleveland Airport until midnight and after a long day, the Best Western shuttle was there waiting for us as soon as we called. The following morning, the driver took us directly to the rental car facility and we were off. Perfect airport location with an extremely friendly and helpful staff.
All staff members were very pleasant, our rooms were clean. The beds were hard, which I'm sure some people like, I prefer a softer bed. My granddaughter left a small teddy bear there, my daughter called about it the next day & was promised it would be sent back to us. Three phone calls & 11 days later, they shipped it overnight FedEx with out asking or confirming overnight shipping rates with us, so not only did we get the bear back, my daughter was charged $96.00 by FedEx for overnight shipping. It took 11 days for the hotel to ship it, so I don't understand why at this point they felt it was so important to send it overnight, at a cost of $96.00, this same package could have been sent for about $18.00, if they would have cared about the cost of shipping for their guest!!!! When I'll called the manager about this, I was basically told, this is how we do things. I think some consideration toward your guest would be appreciated, a phone call to us getting approval of a $96.00 shipping charge on a one pound box with a teddy bear in it would have been nice & not approved!!! So if you forget something at this hotel, please tell them how you want it shipped to you. I am a Diamond Member at Best Western & have never had an issue like this, I'm happy they don't all conduct business in this matter...
When we first go to the hotel we had no idea how to get into the lobby. It is in the back of the hotel and not labeled. We had a suite and it looked like a run down apartment. It was dark and outdated. The pictures on the website are nothing like the hotel. The breakfast was good, but the room was tight. I like Best Western, but this one needs a bad makeover.
Nice hotel. No problem with the staff. Conveniently located near the airport with a shuttle service. I appreciated that the shuttle was willing to take me to the rental car area of the airport. Only complaint I had was that the air conditioner smelled when it was running. It made the air in the room smell impure. Lots of dust in the vent part of the unit otherwise the rest of the room was clean and in working order.
We stayed for a total for 4 nights and it was pleasant. The staff were nice and the hotel was clean enough. I would stay again for the price I paid. They ran out of toilet paper and I had to get my own or have nothing so that was a surprise. Other than that it was a good experience. They made great recommendations, it was a good stay. I'll be back next year.
This hotel was wonderful from the moment we checked in. The staff was cordial and helpful. The bed was a little high especially for the 2 seniors that traveled with us, but once they got into the bed...they loved it and I did too. The morning breakfast room was well maintained by a solo person who kept everything replenished quickly and in good taste.
They were on the middle of remodeling, but they made it as comfortable as possible for guests. Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean. We appreciated the mini fridge in the room, so we could keep our water and sodas cold. Everyone was friendly, the manager walked around at breakfast talking to guests, which was unexpected. He made a point of greeting everyone everyday. Breakfast was standard continental food, but everything was fresh and stocked and the coffee fresh and hot. Going back again later in the year and will definitely stay here again.
Great location. Great price. Great staff. The best of Best Western in a convenient location right next to Cleveland airport. Would stay again when in area. Can't beat free shuttle and friendly staff. Recent renovation has property up to the top BW standards
We had on-going problems with the toilet, which were not resolved after two attempts. We were already gone if there was a 3rd attempt to fix the toilet. The breakfast offerings were very limited, especially the fresh fruit.
Found this to be a great option while visiting Cleveland. Close to a few restaurants, close to the highway. Location was perfect for me. Felt Safe. Staff was very courteous. Typical American breakfast.
This hotel feels a little dated and worn, but in the areas that really matter to a guest's experience, it was great value. The beds were comfortable, it was quiet on a Saturday night, and the front desk was helpful. The room was spacious. We had two queens, the baby's pack-n-play, and still plenty of room to walk around. I wasn't wowed by the hotel's outwardly appearance, but I'd recommend it for a night or two if you want somewhere clean and safe to stay. There's also a Bob Evans directly across the street, and if you need your evening ice cream fix like I do, you can't beat the convenience.
Stayed here for our sons wedding, rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was lacking but there was a Bob Evans across the street. Manager was very cordial and helpful. The pool and workout area were nice. It is close to the airport without the noise. We would stay here again.
I usually go to BW first for reservation. They are great value and offer attractive pricing. Discounts for various groups I belong to and one of them usually qualifies. Great quality, good pricing, nice amenities. My go to first choice.
Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the staff was very helpful, especially when we became lost at the airport and couldn't find the shuttle pickup. It was midnight when our plane arrived and needed to be picked up. We had to call the desk several times and the shuttle driver even came looking for us, bless his heart, not sure many drivers would take the time.
From outside the hotel looks dated and small. The arrival at Reception is then a surprise. The area is bright, fresh and welcoming. The rooms are reasonable for the price but I was a little surprised to find that the window is a White frosted glass. So I could be anywhere, including 300ft underground with a light outside. If you suffer from claustrophobia then maybe you need to avoid this. Breakfast was of the normal standard with this level. It's included in the price and most basic options are there. I prefer to get a room on the top floor so I can use the stairs to get to a room. I was surprised to find that both sets of stairs end up outside at ground level with no means to get back in, maybe I missed the swipe machine. A little disappointing is that those who smoke insist on doing so just outside these same doors, then wedge them open. Not the hotels fault but be prepared. Parking was adequate with no issue getting a space. Not a great choice of restaurants in the area. Again not the fault of the hotel. There is a place at the end of the road but did not look very hospitable.
Spent the night on a leisure trip, and headed to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame before departing Cleveland. The hotel is just about 10 miles from downtown and it was very easy to get to. They also have transportation available 24 hours a day so easy to head out for dinner and get a ride back without worrying about navigating the streets. Couple that with being within 2 miles of the airport and it is easy to escape.
Renovations make it hard to give it a better rating. The room was clean, but the hallway was cluttered with tools and the stairwell near our room was propped open with a bucket.. No sense of security. Hotel charged me for my room after I had reserved the room with rewards points. Staff unable to refund without approval, even though I could prove it was paid by rewards points. Disappointed.
We were on a driving vacation and decided to stay here. It is a little out of town but the area is nice and the hotel was a pleasant surprise. We were upgraded to a suite which was wonderful. The hotel staff was very helpful and the new manager came around at breakfast to speak with everyone. We would consider staying here again if we were in the area.
The hotel is exactly what one would expect for $55.00 per night. Pretty crummy, but dirt, and I really mean dirt cheap. No food, no vending machines, no nothing and a very dangerous neigborhood. I always carry a gun so no big worries on safety. No food or restaurants in neighborhood. The shuttle service was like a roller coaster to and from the airport. Not only was the bus falling apart, but the completely un-maintained Cleveland streets made it a real adventure. The pot holes could swallow a 4x4, but not the hotel's fault. No wonder the bus was falling apart. This is the perfect hotel for Cleveland. The whole cty is falling apart, the airport is worse than the old Detroit Metro and if it weren't for the Cleveland clinic the whole city would be in bankruptcy.
Very happy with the stay. We always love a hotel with complementary breakfast and free airport shuttle. I left with an early flight before the breakfast started in the cafeteria. The front desk was nice enough to provide each one of us with a "grab-and-go" bag - how considerate of them! Will come back again when we have conference in Cleveland next time!
Construction was an unwelcome sight, although the desk clerk said there was a notice on their website. The front desk responded promptly to my 9:30 p.m. complaint about construction noise. Room worn; unusual odor; one now-dead spider.
The hotel was under construction during our 2 night stay. That did not detour us from having a great time, The staff showed us superior customer service and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the pool and our room. We will stay here in the future and recommend them to our family and friends!
Stayed here 2 nights without being told the hotel was under construction. Lobby area all torn up so pretty dusty & dirty. No o e bothered to clean out elevator. Construction went on from 10-7 daily. Our rooms were on the side of hotel where all windows were covered with a film that would not let you all see outside. We were told that it was because the neighbors next door didn't want hotel guests looking into their area. Day 2 I left at 9 returning at 3 and my room had not been cleaned. Their excuse was that I told them not to. That was not at all true. I had to search for my own towels off a cleaning crew trolley. So the only good thing I can say was that it was close to the airport. Not impressed
This hotel is beautiful. It has a nice location ride of the highway and only a few minutes right outside cleveland. Rooms are nice and spacious, The breakfast is wonderful. Front desk service is superb. Only downside is that there was no hot tub in the pool area.
Very clean and very pretty rooms. Price is great . Free shuttle service from the hotel to the Cleveland airport. Parking while traveling is also available which is great. Restaurants next door and across the street were very convenient. Located right off the highway but still very quiet inside room. Will for sure stay again.
Hotel was fairly nice, Dirty sheets & floors, TAKE PICS before your stay of your room, so other people who have brought pets who had accidents cant blame you & your pet and cant over charge you. bad area very bad
Don't let the construction / remodel deter you from choosing this property. I never experienced any issues with it. My room was a remodel, and I was very well done. Quality of workmanship was great, and the décor was very attractive.
Served its purpose. Under construction but wasn't bad. Had newly renovated smell. Have to circulate some fresh air. Wonderful service. Room and bathroom very spacious. Third floor was very quite. Breakfast selection could have been better. But had carry to go breakfast for those that couldn't stay for breakfast. Wonderful people at the front desk.
Hotel was easy to find, just off Interstate. There was extensive updates being accomplished. I was told ahead of time they were doing this and flyers were posted thru out hotel. If you have breathing problems then probably need another hotel as dust from maintenance was a problem.
Traveling away from home is not one of my favorite things to do, however it was a very pleasant surprise, the staff as well as the GM Ray Vallee Jr. were very helpful, the service was great. Very clean hotel and inviting to the eye.
Staff was nice and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, pool was clean, breakfast was good. Exercise room could stand to have an elliptical and properly working treadmills but overall was extremely happy with my stay.
Had 2 grandchildren who wanted a hotel with swimming pool which we used extensively. We were in Cleveland to visit museums and zoo. Grandkids had never been out of Michigan nor to a large city....this made a nice experience for them and they felt comfortable. Kathy, the manager, made them feel very comfortable ...and they were at ease.
Stayed here on a personal trip and just met our expectation within our budget, except few minor glitches that we were able to work with the staff. Certainly recommend to others who wish to stay in this area.
This was ok for a one-night stay in Cleveland. The hotel is currently under construction, so finding the parking and entry was a bit weird. The room itself was fine...nothing fancy. The bathtub mat grossed me out. I don't know why...just standing on that plastic thing seemed dirty. Our room smelled like chlorine from the pool. I guess there are worse smells. The free breakfast was probably the best part as we have two boys (ages 13 and 11).
The Best Western is located a short 5 minute drive to the airport. The breakfast had make your own waffles, cereals, pastries, fruit and yogurt. Hotel is currently being renovated. We had a call the week before our arrival to let us know that the construction was happening. We had no issues with construction either noise or dust wise. Will stay here every time we fly from Cleveland.
Parking is terrible. Check in and out was fine. Room had a strange smell upon entering. Found hair on bathroom floor. GROSS!!! Clocks were not set to correct time. Bed was great though. Area felt safe. Not too far from downtown for our play.
We were assured that the airport shuttle and free parking were available and were told at check in that they were not able to keep their promise due to hotel renovations. I'm sure they know about these renovations two weeks before when we booked the room.
First of all, excellent desk staff. Made us feel welcome and helped with any questions. The breakfast was very good also. Room was clean and comfortable, and if extras were needed the front desk staff assisted. Now for the problem...PARKING! They have construction going on, and the entire right side of the covered area (including the handicap parking) is being used for a "staging" area for workers. This leaves just 2 handicap spaces for the entire hotel. But the construction workers use them and some hotel employees do also. When I inquired about these violations, I was told "Nobody cares, and nothing is ever done". I suggested they call the Police to issue a H/C parking ticket (All the cars that used the spots did not have plate nor hang placards). I did see another car with a H/C plate use the spot in the "Staging Area"..only to see a construction worker block that vehicle in. (Not sure of that out come) Note to manager, figure out who is using the H/C spaces and make it stop AND have whoever is your boss, MOVE the staging area for the construction crew to the open parking area. My tip for travelers, if you arrive or come back late you probably will not find parking..be ready for that.
We stayed here a couple of years ago and had a decent stay. I'd say, for the rate (we paid $76.49/nite before tax), this is a really good value. First of all, their shuttle will pick you up at the car rental return facility, which saves time. Upon check-in, we discovered that they are remodeling the former smoking rooms and now the entire hotel will be non-smoking. They are also expected to renovate all remaining rooms yet this year. Not sure what that will do to the rate! We didn't hear any noise from the construction while we were there, because they limit it to between the hours of 10-5. The room itself is good size. We had stayed at the Crowne Plaza/Cleveland Airport in January, and their bathroom was half the size of the one at the Best Western and we had no hot water at the Crowne Plaza in the morning! While there were some small maintenance issues (the front of one counter had come loose and had dropped about a half inch), there was plenty of counter space, the shower was nice and high with good pressure and no temperature fluxuation, and the towels soft and not too big. They give you a bottle of conditioning shampoo and body lotion, along with a large and small soap. Appreciate that the fan is on a separate switch from the light. We had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi. The front desk person gave me an 800 number to call. The first person I talked with tried "resetting" the signal, but that didn't work. I called again, and after about 18 minutes, the woman helping me was able to fix the issue. After that, it worked well and reconnected automatically. There is a Bob Evans and a Goody's restaurant directly adjacent to the hotel. They also have an extensive room service menu, but I'm not sure where that food comes from. The pillows were nice and fluffy, with different thicknesses to choose from. The bed felt comfortable, but I did wake up with a sore back. We ran the fans all night on the heating unit and in the bathroom, but to drown out the occasional noise from Snow Road I still had to use the White Noise app on my phone. We didn't hear any noise from the hall or any other rooms though. The breakfast was much more than the "continental" that was advertised. Plenty of hot items like waffles, eggs and sausage, along with the typical pastries, yogurt, fruit, etc. Area was clean and very well maintained. It's not overly big, but wasn't crowded when we were there. We had to catch the 5:30 a.m. shuttle, and were pleasantly surprised to see that Leah (who had just worked a double shift) had the whole breakfast menu laid out nicely at that early hour! There's an inside pool, which we didn't use, and a computer and printer in the lobby for printing off boarding passes, etc. Overall, this hotel fits the bill for a quick airport stay. Service was good and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again. Hope this helps you make your decision!
This is nonething specail hotel. They are under construction and its very smelly in the halls even though its non smoking. The breakfast is pretty basic and the staff not really friendly. The worst part is there is some sort of flooding coming from what looks like the hotel. I was walking my service dog and you could not walk down the side walk because of the flooding water. We were by the hotel in the grass and there was a big hole, because it was getting dark I didnt see it and fell in the muddy, gross, disgusting smelly water hole. I did report to them that they should mark the hole someone could have bee Very very hurt as is I have a sore butt and back. This is one hotel I will not be returning to
Overall I was very pleased with my stay at the Best Western Airport Inn. The front desk staff (Cassie/Cynthia) are exceptional, extremely personable, but not overbearing. If I owned a hotel out here I would hire both of them immediately, no kidding. The player of the game for my stay this time around though was Jim, the shuttle driver. He not only readily agreed to stop at a drugstore on our way from the airport to the hotel but also offered to drop me off and then pick me up at a local restaurant/bar. I declined but was left in shock with his genuine sense of caring and willingness to help. The hallways have a slight cigarette smell, my two rooms smelled fine. Word on the street is a refurb is on the way which should alleviate that issue. The pool was a nice touch, good breakfast in the morning. Once again great value for a under $100 property.
Was not really looking forward to this stay based on several bad reviews, but we couldn't pass up the price. The location was easy to get to, minutes from airport parking. The lobby was clean, the desk clerks were extremely nice, and our room was clean with newer decor. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was adequate. Very nice stay, especially compared to previous Best Western experiences. And it beat the Holiday Inn Express across the road by $40.00!
Came in late. Got a very cheery greeting from Cassie, who was a great desk person. Room was fine. Very minor issue with toilet (needed to hold down handle longer than usual). Bed was okay - nothing special, but I got an okay night's sleep. A little noisy, but I had earplugs available. Breakfast was satisfactory with enough to choose from for a Best Western.
I am writing this review to appreciate the front desk clerk Ms. Cassie. She went above and beyond to help with my stay at Best Western (near Cleveland airport). I originally booked for a 2-night stay; however, due to the flight delay I couldn't make it for the first night - it was impressive that Cassie handled it very well by working with Orbitz and making a detailed note in the system, so that the next front desk clerk knows the situation when I arrive on site for check in. Later, I got to meet her in person at the hotel and I found her very courteous, professional and helpful. Another issue I faced at the hotel was that in the room adjacent to my room, pet dogs barked almost constantly. Initially I thought it would stop, but even after a while it didn't. I called Cassie and sure enough, she quickly found me a comfortable distant room. She has very pleasant demeanor, and professional attitude. She takes care of customers very well and make them feel at home. I greatly appreciate her fantastic customer service. I hope that the Best Western hotel manager takes action to recognize such a wonderful employee, who elevates hotel rating and customer satisfaction. My very best wishes to her.
this was a older hotel but it was very nice and clean. the staff were nice and helpful. the room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. I would stay again if I come here. the grab and go lunch is a great idea and was much needed for a long doctor vist.
We used the Park and Fly option and greatly appreciated being able to leave our car there as well as the shuttle service. The shuttle driver was fantastic-very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was also very friendly. The hotel is currently undergoing some construction, which will only make it better I'm sure.
Myself, my staff and my husband took 4 disabled adults on a weekend trip to Pro Football Hall of Fame, Blues Brothers Cafe and Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. This hotel offered suites that accomodated our needs. Gerri at the front desk was wonderfully pleasant and accomodating. Our clients were able to enjoy the spacious and comfortable rooms and also the large indoor swimming pool. In the morning we all enjoyed a really nice continental breakfast and were able to fill ourselves up for our upcoming day. Very nice hotel that will accomodate your needs in a convienent location for a reasonable price. The only thing I think they should have is a nice hot tub for adult relaxation :)
The hotel is convenient to the airport and use there park and fly lot. The hotel is very clean and quiet. They do a very good job getting you to the airport and getting you back from the airport when you get back.
We only stayed 1 night - The area seemed a bit rough as when we pulled in there were 2 police cars in the lot. entrance was odd. Check in was good - although thank goodness I went as my husband couldn't check us in, I had to go in. When we got to our room, Blue police lights were coming through our window...There were 2 police cars across the street in that hotel parking lot... room was clean, door seemed like it needed to be fixed as you had to almost lift it door to get it to closed. Breakfast was not awful, had better, but. All in all - for 1 night it was good and convenient to expressways +
First of let me just say the guest services were amazing. Leah, Cassie, and Heather went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. Heather prepared the breakfast the first morning, the waffles were awesome. Cassie helped us find our way to some good local spots to eat and have fun during the day. Leah was awesome as well very Friendly and fast to make our stay enjoyable. These ladies made the hotel experience great. I highly recommend staying there
Toilet ran all night, air conditioner made a funny sound all nigh also. reported problem to staff, didnt seam to worried about issuees. Breakfast was ok, bed comfort was ok. Was just hard to sleep due to maintenance issuees in our room.
My flight was cancelled due to bad weather earlier in the week so I needed a place to stay to catch a very early flight. This Best Western was clean and recently remodeled. The staff was helpful and pleasant. 24 hr shuttle service every 30 minutes got me to the airport in less than 5 minutes with no other stops. There are other hotels nearby that advertise lower rates but they have onerous cancellation policies (they charge for 1 night for any cancellation) and have bad reviews that were verified by my local relatives who have been unfortunate enough to stay in some of them. This Best Western has a reasonable change/cancellation policy. The extra money was well worth it.
We had booked rooms at a hotel across the street, but left due to filthy conditions. Cynthia at the front desk was so personable and helpful. We explained what had happened and she assured us we would be happy there. We arrived to our rooms to find a clean, fresh, comfortable environment. Immediately, Cynthia called both rooms to make sure we were happy. This was at 1:30 AM. The rooms were quiet and we slept well. One member of our party had a cancelled flight and would arrive in the morning. Heather told us to let her know as soon as he landed and she would pick him up. Breakfast was filling and convenient with eggs, sausage, breads, muffins, an oatmeal bar, waffles, juice and yogurt. We were attending a family funeral and had to spend much time in the lobby waiting for events. Everyone who walked by greeted us and asked if we needed anything.I believe it was Kristi who was also super friendly. We planned on spending only one night, but ended up staying all 3 nights we were in town. Our final morning, the shuttle was prompt and since it was before breakfast, there were breakfast to go bags with a muffin, granola bar, apple, and a bottle of water waiting for us. Even so, the morning girl (I didn't catch her name) told us she was setting up breakfast and to help ourselves. I would highly recommend this hotel.
nice size rooms convenient to highway access good value if need two rooms and space friendly staff nice pool parking lot flood in heavy rain smoking section on same floor as non-smoking puts odor in the hallway
They still haven't gotten the AGE out of this building. But, the beds were comfortable. The rooms were average size. The people are nice. $90 is a bit high for AARP until they get this hotel completely reverbed. $63 is about right.
Very clean room, neat EZ clean remote, comfortable bed, good lighting. Large fridge and a microwave. Location worked well for my visit to the Healthspan on Snow road. Nice breakfast area. Free newspapers. Fitness roomn could use some elliptipcal machines.
I accidentally left a wallet in a drawer. The maid put it in a safe and we got it back. I was very impressed they found it. The staff at the hotel from the day we checked in till we left was awesome. Thank you.
Wife and I wanted to visit downtown (the flats) without the prices and hassles of downtown hotels. Airport location was excellent - just off the 71 exit. We took the hotel shuttle to the RTA, then RTA to Tower Center (%.00 each for a day pass). Ubered back to the hotel from the flats for about 20.00.
This was the first time in a long time that my family and I have stayed at a Best Western. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and the shuttle drivers were very accommodating. The issue was with the facility itself. When we walked to our room the hallway smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. This didn't make sense since we were staying on a non smoking floor. The room was adequate however the refrigerator in our room appeared to be breaking down because the motor was loud and ran constantly until it was unplugged. The air conditioning appeared to quit working halfway through the night making it very difficult to sleep. Luckily this was just a one night stay before flying out the next morning otherwise we would have had to request a room change. The room supported the concept you get what you pay for. I really dont see my family using Best Western in the future.
Very close to the airport and some restaurants are nearby. The rooms does not come with a blanket on the bed, I had to ask for blanket. The elevator was not working when I arrived but was repaired in1-2 days of my stay.
We stayed at the Best Western the night before an early flight to Mexico. Lea was at the front desk. She was pleasant, professional, helpful and efficient. Our room was nice. Clean and comfortable. We took a 4:30 shuttle to the airport which was provided by Best Western. Very smooth. Our experience with this hotel was very good. Definitely will use it again.
Started off by elevator being broken - normally I wouldn't mind that, but everything was bad. I arrived at 130am - called for the shuttle with the front desk lady - shuttle arrived promptly and very nice driver. However, had to ring the bell several times to get the front desk lady to answer (she knew I was coming due to the previous call) - have to go outside to get to my room on 2nd floor - as a single woman in a unknown city - this is not ideal. Floor smelled like cigarette although is non-smoking. In the bathroom, found a brown object near toilet (I was not going to get near it). Front desk lady refused to deal with it and wanted to place me on the 3rd floor in a non-smoking room on a smoking floor - who does that now? of course it smells like smoke all the time. Had to stay 2 nights unfortunately - there is no hot water - just a little warm for showers - obviously they are trying to save $ by turning down the temp (a 2am shower should be hot as no one else is using it). Manager was not helpful in the situation and didn't seem to care.
We chose this hotel as we had a rewards card from other travels and needed to stay the night not far from the downtown area. We made reservations online and were upgraded to a suite upon arrival which was a nice surprise. We also had to have a non-smoking room due to severe allergies to cigarette smoke and were accommodated perfectly. This hotel serves many travelers needing to park and take the shuttle to the airport. We anticipated lots of night noise due to late arrivals and early flights but were very pleased to have slept well with no noise whatsoever. There is a very inviting indoor pool and and an exercise room, neither of which we used. The continental breakfast consisted of the usual cereals, fruit and yogurt but the eggs, sausage and waffles were a nice treat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and we would stay again. The desk clerk was very helpful and had a great personality.
We have stayed here 3 times now and every time we had no issues. pleasant staff and breakfast. Internet was a bit spotty but worked most of the time. We visit Cleveland periodically and will always use this hotel for price and comfort.
This was a very nice hotel, clean and comfortable.. friendly and helpful staff.. we had to leave at 3:30 AM for a flight to Denver and they arranged for the shuttle and also had some snacks for us to hold us over at that early hour... FYI they will not let you keep the water bottle.. They provided a wake up call and the shuttle came promptly... Only a few minutes from the hotel to the airport... I was traveling with my elderly parents so it was nice the hotel removed any additional stress that I might have had by helping with all the little details... I would recommend highly and the price was quite reasonable...
Overall a very pleasant experience. As a business traveler I travel enough to know what I want in a hotel at the best economical price. Staying here I got my hope for qualities, they are: I had location safety. I had the use of a fitness center, I had a hot breakfast, I had an updated decor in my room, I used the free wi fi, I used the printer at the business center and the room was super clean. Best of all the staff was pleasant. As a business owner I can tell you this hotel has "pride of ownership". I highly recommend this place!! Joe from AZ.
I travelled to Ohio with my 5 year old son to visit with family. We were flying into Cleveland, so I chose this hotel for its' location to the airport, that it provided shuttle service to and from the airport, and our comfortableness with the Best Western name. Our plane arrival time was late in the evening, I called the hotel for the shuttle and was told exactly where to wait. The shuttle arrived promptly with a friendly driver. Once at the hotel, we were greeted by Cynthia, who made our check in process effortless. We were tired and hungry- she offered us cereal and fruit from the breakfast room, as area restaurants were closed (it was after 1 a.m. by this time). Cynthia is great!! The lobby was clean and cozy. Our room met all of our needs as well- clean, good size, fridge, bathroom provided soap, shampoo, and lotion. My only complaint was the pillows on the bed- they were very small and hard- did not seem to be pillows at all. Breakfast was all right. Used to having warm eggs and a warm meat product offered- I found them eventually in the fridge- you had to microwave them yourself. My son loved the waffles! We put in a request at check in for the shuttle, at check out, to take us back to the airport to pick up a rental car. When we checked out, we were told that the shuttle driver did not show up for work, so they would call for a cab that would take us there at the hotel's expense- it did. I was pleased with this hotel and their service and would stay here again. Thank you.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past few years and have had no issues whatsoever. It's clean, affordable, and the amenities are just fine. The only negative was an uncomfortable bed.
Stayed here for a quick trip in and out of Cleveland - three nights. I requested a VERY clean room (allergies). Check in was fine and I was sent to room 306. I could smell the cigarette smoke before the elevator door opened. The entire hallway reeked. The room smelled like it had been cleaned with nicotine. It was awful. So I about face, return to the lobby and request a non-smoking room, preferably on a non-smoking floor. I got the non-smoking room - 227, no such thing as a non-smoking floor. At least there was no stench.... The front desk attendant said the room was requested for me. Not likely, since AA Vacations suggested and commented on the request that I wanted a very clean room because of allergies. Not an issue, certainly not worth debating. The room was fine, comfortable beds. (Get bigger pillows, please). There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room as well as other convenient utilities. I could not see out of the window. The glass was somehow blurred for some reason. Again, not a big deal but certainly odd. I closed the curtains and turned on the lights. The room was somewhat dated but appeared clean. That is, until I returned later that evening and prepared to go to sleep. I sneezed most of the night and had to get up early to try and find out what was aggravating my allergies. I went into the bathroom to blow my nose and the toilet paper ring fell out when I pulled the tissue. I reached for the new roll of tissue and the dust behind and beneath the new roll was so thick it was ridiculous. That was the first problem. There was also a small amount of mold on the clear towel rack or grab bar in the shower. Can probably be eliminated with bleach in a spray bottle. Back in the room, I heated water in the microwave to make a cup of tea. I had to move the microwave to one side in order for the cord to completely reach the outlet. Eureka! Tons of dust beneath and behind the the microwave. Needless to say, I could now see the thick layer of dust on the sides of the mini fridge.... When the housekeeper arrived a short time later, I pointed out the dust and she was quite nice and had no issue with addressing the issue. I almost immediately began feeling better. She took care of the carpet for me and I dusted the lamp shades and was able to comfortably stay in the room. It's only a big deal because the request and reason were made/given in advance. I would give this place a higher rating otherwise. It is a decent place, good value. Could be even better if they become a non-smoking facility and blitz the rooms and address the dust.
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night to go to a concert. We booked 2 suites - they had 2 queen sized beds, a sofa, mini fridge, microwave, sink and coffee pot. The room was clean (211) but room the other room (214) was very musty and had a funny smell to it. The breakfast was "ok" as most are - waffles, breads, juices were all good. The egg/sausage were not. The one missing item was a pitcher of ice water.
We had a good stay. Not great, but good. Very conveniently located close to the Cleveland Airport. They offer a free shuttle every 30 minutes to the airport where you can catch the local rail to go anywhere in Cleveland. We used it several times. Very nice perk and the various van drivers were friendly and prompt. Room was good. Nice shower with plenty of hot water. Room 219 shower head needs to be tightened and re-caulked. Biggest annoyance was the fact that we stayed on the side of the hotel that faces private homes so our 'window to the world' was frosted so we couldn't see out. I would definitely recommend you request a room that faces the road. Bob Evens restaurant right across the road was very very good.
The only real problem i had was the toilet being to load, worker in the work room next to at 7:30AM and walls being to thin. other than that a good stay. All the staff were very helpful, wish i could've stayed alittle longer.
mad i got charged not my rate that i booked there $79.21 but 1 hundered 50 dollars and i dont even smoke at all im on oxgen bib pap at night may never go there agian if they dont credit me that 1 hundred 50 for no reason that they charged me
Minor room blemishes. Upon check in wanted a King bed and got 2 Queen beds. Towel rack came out from wall. Shower drain plugged, the air conditioning in the room was not cooling the room. TV/Cable had minimal channels, Breakfast was from 6a-10a and food was not out at 8am. Didn't address concerns just may not go back
We had a suite with a kitchenette, but no kitchen type items like pots, pans, plates etc, utensils, or dish soap. Kind of hard to use the kitchen without this stuff. I don't normally travel with this stuff. Besides that though, our stay was very nice. Our daughter LOVED the pool. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pillows were strange little half pillows, but I slept okay. About as good a stay as any hotel you're booking for price and location.
