ACME Hotel Company Chicago

This hotel never ceases to provide extraordinary experience every time I visit. During and after covid a great deal of the hotels in the Chicago area seemed to diminish in service and guest care, but Acme has continued to provide stellar service, great room and cool amenities. I travel to the Chicagoland area often and am always excited when I get to stay at this hotel. The coffee shop and bar are great add-ons that solidify a seamless stay. Both the evening and morning staff are excellent and teh location is great. You're in the heart of the action but also tucked away. Do yourself a favor when you book and spend the extra money for one of the suites. Extremely luxurious, yet stylish and it's a great spot to gather and hang out if you're traveling as a group or meeting up with people in the city. I love this hotel. It's my favorite in the city.

Super cute hotel! Our room was clean, bed comfortable, and the shower was especially nice! The water got hot immediately and it had good water pressure. The location seemed great for walking around, there was tons of other places nearby to check out. You gotta check out the Berkshire lounge while you're there. Also, they offer a nice discount for public parking, so be sure to ask about that if you need it

Amazing customer service from Michelle at the front desk! Very comfortable room, spacious and a nice bed. Woke up completely refreshed after a night's stay. Location is great, and the hotel itself has a cool vibe. Cannot think of any reason I wouldn't stay here in Chicago the next time.

Excellent customer service, cool hotel, great music, great location, great bar, great views from the room... there is nothing not to like about this hotel! A special shoutout to Jerome Washington, Anton and Val who's customer service is 10/10.

The staff was extremely friendly, especially Jerome at the front desk! The hotel room was clean, the beds were extremely comfy, and parking is conveniently located near the building. Added bonus, included the ambience of the hotel and fun music! Would return!

Smaller hotel, definitely a boutique feel. Lots of attention to details to utilize the space and keep it fun. Beds were soft and I liked the addition of a black out curtain for the bedroom section to help keep it dark.

This little gem is amazing! Great location and a great atmosphere! I love staying here! Just a few steps from the shops at north bridge with all kinds of restaurants to choose from! Almost everything you would want to do is within walking distance.

Perfect location in the Chicago Loop. Very walkable to everything and Michigan Avenue. Loved our room which was a suite. Staff was very attentive and around the corner to the new Bally Casino. Highly recommend going to Eataly for coffee in the mornings.

It was excellent! The front desk was so incredibly nice and helpful! I really appreciated it. Highly recommend, everything was exactly as it was expected. Especially the rooms were clean, and I didn't hear much at all, as far as other guests, or noise from the street.

Great little boutique hotel near the grand mile, shopping & restaurants. Very comfortable beds, extremely quiet room, quiet A/C. No closet but there is an area w/hangers to hang clothes & a large table with seating for 4. Plenty of outlets & USB ports. Very friendly front desk staff. Will definitely stay here on my next trip.

Excellent location! Rooms and hotel very quirky but interesting….spotlessly clean and there's a fridge in room to chill any drinks. Service at reception quick and efficient…..would definitely stay here again…coffee dock in lobby has nice pastries for breakfast to purchase ….. all in all a great hotel for a short visit to Chicago

One of the most charming hotels I've stayed in to date. It has character, a beautiful bar, and the staff is friendly and super helpful! There are so many unique touches throughout. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Chicago.

My mom and I go to a lot of cubs games, she's never stayed overnight in Chicago and I knew this is exactly where I'd want her to stay the first time! We never had money growing up and so she's never stayed overnight. The price was great and we had a lovely stay thanks to Jerome, his welcome was amazing. My mom was impressed! Thanks for a great stay!

Location, location, location. Cleanliness and location are the two most important thing for me when booking a hotel, and ACME did not disappoint. ACME is located just a few blocks from the Magnificent Mile. We ended up walking to all of our destinations during our trip. Check-in was fast. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. It is a cool hotel. As for parking, we used the HotSpot Parking app and found a reasonable and safe parking spot at the parking garage at the corner of Ohio St & Wabash Avenue. BTW, make sure to check out Eataly which is a few minutes from the hotel. It's delicious.

This a trendy hotel located downtown Chicago with access to the metro and the ease to walk pretty much anywhere. I love the music as you check in, the decor, the room and friendly staff. I'll be back for sure when I'm next in Chicago!

Modern feeling, cute and clean hotel with charming coffee shop and bar. There is not continental breakfast. The room did have a mini fridge but no microwave. Bed was comfy. Great location, 2 minutes from red line. There was a loud buzzing noise during the night from somewhere outside that could be quite irritating, so docking one star for that.

I stayed at the ACME HOTEL on 15 East Ohio in July 29-31 2023. and I had stayed also back in May 2023 and both times the experience with the doorcierge Mr. Jerome Washington was excellent. Truly professional and attentive to detail, and very knowledgeable. The transition checking in and checking out has always been very easy and accommodating. This hidden gem offers a combination of cool and classic with amazing architecture and funky fixtures throughout the hotel. The location is perfect for a visit to Chicago. Don't miss having a drink in the Berkshire Room.

We love this hotel! It's fun and trendy. The front desk staff is all nice:-) It is centrally located and very convenient. There is an adjoined parking garage . We have stayed several places while visiting Chicago and this is our favorite! If you are a light sleeper you might want to request a room on the inside corridor as it is on a busy street.

We love the Acme Hotel!!! We stay here whenever we visit Chicago. The location is amazing, and the staff are so nice. The beds are comfy. The bar is a bit pricey, but it's fun to have a drink there before going out for the night. We always eat at Eataly, which is right across the street. There is a parking garage right next to the hotel, and you can get a decent price through SpotHero ($25 a night, which isnt bad for downtown Chicago)

We had a night in Chicago without a vehicle, and this hotel fit the bill. We were allowed into our room a tad early. It was modern, clean and compact. It was a block from the Grand subway entrance, caty-corner to a Starbucks - for breakfast - and the Weber Grill Restaurant (excellent dinner) was just around the corner. Around the corner in the other direction was a CVS, where we picked up some sundries. This is a VERY convenient location.

Great location but not much else good about this property. The rooms are quite tired and dirty. The beds are horribly uncomfortable, mattresses are hard and the pillows are terrible. The room had a good amount of space with a sofa bed which allowed us as a family of 5 to have enough sleeping arrangements. We had a few requests for things such as additional soaps that were never fulfilled. A request for different pillows took about 3 hours and multiple phone calls. Upon checking out, I called down to the desk to ask if they needed us to stop by and she just said to let them know when we were out - I said we are leaving in 5 minutes so this can serve as your noticed - she then hung up on me. Ridiculous place. There are many places to stay in this area and we frequent Chicago - we won't be coming back.

This was my first business trip to Chicago, as I've visited the city before but this was my first experience at ACME. I had a simple, and painless check-in with Jerome, who was extremely helpful and efficient. The next day Sean helped me at the front desk with my questions and directions, and before I checked out, I had assistance with retail at the front desk again with RA & Val. The entire staff was great and the Hotel is hip, happening and well-kept. Can't wait to come back. Thank you!

Disclaimer, this just isn't my kind of hotel. It does have a fantastic location. There is no lobby space, or hotel vibe. You check in at a counter w one (slightly bored) person behind it. You get your keys, the end. Your room is clean. Your walls are thin, you definitely hear the hallway and your neighbors. While there is a small place adjacent for coffee, and a separate bar in building, it just lacks the energy a good hotel lobby has with multiple staff and gathering places and bright lights and chairs/flowers/etc. Its dark, halls are narrow, elevators are small. Not my gig. It works for an overnight but I'd never spend a weekend there.

Excellent boutique hotel, just off Magnificent Mile. Beautiful rooms, comfy beds, cracking shower, Nice bar. Really pleasant experience here, staff always really nice. Rooms are decent size and well priced. Bakery attached is open for breakfast and is brilliant.

Amazing hotel. Perfect distance to everything that me and my girlfriend wanted to do. Right next to a train and bus stop if you need to use public transport. We were able to check in early as well which was helpful. 100% would recommend to anybody.

We had a fantastic stay at the ACME hotel. Prime location in the middle of so many great restaurants and things to do. The staff are incredible, Jerome and Gabby were fantastic and always willing to help with any questions I had. My girlfriends and I were there for a bachelorette weekend and the suite provided the perfect celebration space. The decor and vibe of the hotel are perfect for a fun celebration weekend in the city. 10/10 would go again and am already planning a staycation there with my husband.

I'll echo what someone said earlier - Great location, okay room. Perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Chicago. Close to all major tourist attractions. Honestly, hard for the location to get much better than this. Rooms are somewhat small and the gym a bit basic. Nevertheless, still a great stay overall.

It was a freezing cold night in Chicago and our power went out with an indefinite restoration time. I knew I wouldn't be comfortable without power and hot water. I did a Google search and found the Acme hotel. I was drawn by it's cozy yet eclectic feel and positive reviews. I blistered through the cold weather and made it downtown. There is a parking garage conveniently located right next door. By the time I arrived, I was exhausted and ready to relax. I was greeted by the best customer service I have experienced in YEARS. Gabby, Ra and Kenisha was so helpful and knowledgeable about their beautiful space. They each treated me like royalty. I felt well informed as they each provided me with advice and tips to optimize my stay. From the swanky bar attached to the hotel to the grocery store across the street. Needless to say, I was eager to get my stay started. The room was spacious, immaculate and edgy. The tv entertainment options were vast. I was thoroughly impressed. I am looking forward to staying again!

The hotel is in a great location, beds were comfortable, fun vibe over all. This is very much a 3 star hotel at best. The amenities weren't available to us during our stay, the bathroom vanity was falling apart, paint chipping everywhere, views of brick walls and parking garages.

This is the Vape God here. This place is absolutely VAPETASTIC y'all. Jerome was super friendly right when we walked in and was insanely helpful. The atmosphere is awesome and we even got an upgrade!!

We've stayed here several times. This time, we were disappointed when we found out they discontinued the unique coffee drop-off service. We were even more disappointed when we found that there was NO coffee available in the room. In addition, the hot tub that used to be for overnight guests is now only available for booking private parties up to 20 people. This was so disappointing. We will be finding a new place to stay when we visit Chicago, and we will no longer be recommending ACME.

What a cool hotel! I've been in hotel management for a decade and have seen everything from terrible to amazing. The Acme hotel is definitely in amazing territory. If you are like me and you're sick of staying in cookie cutter "Five star" hotels this is what you're looking for. From the old vinyl album books decorating the elevators to the chalkboard adorned halls. Okay enough fluff- I booked astandard king room (406) because I actually wanted a view of the exposed brick atrium. The room was larger than expected based on what I'm used to for this price point in Chicago. The room was clean and everything worked. Val at the front desk was great with check in and gave me all the information needed. This is the first hotel downtown to ever make me feel like I got my money's worth! I will be back.

I would definitely recommend staying at Acme it's such a great vibe from when you step into the door all the way until you get to your room. The ambience is amazing and cool, very different than any other Hotel I've stayed in. There's a bar right downstairs by the lobby , and they also have a bakery down there too! Checking in was fast and easy the staff was amazingly nice and friendly. The rooms look exactly as pictured and they're very spacious. I stayed here with my husband and my son and we loved it definitely would come back here, thank you so much for the good time.

Great experience from the time we walked in the door. We were upgraded to a suite which was never expected. Front staff Rah, Val, and Jen were all awesome. I would highly recommend staying at Acme HC.

Hotel is downtown perfectly located. Check in was fast. Rooms are clean and ok... not very beautiful but absolutely functional. View to the inner patio is bad- but ok - that's normal. Proces are reasonfor what you get. They don't offer breakfast, but ok. Nice bar on the ground floor. Room service needs to be announced at the counter. Strange but acceptable. Service could have been more friendly but was ok. Wifi works well. Definitely ok considering the location and prices in the other hotels around

We had never been to Chicago and most of the hotels looked super-expensive or just chain locations and boring. The Acme came up as being different as well as reasonably priced and we liked that there was a convenient bar at the back if you wanted to relax. It also had great reviews and was easy to walk to where we wanted to go (like the riverside or down the Mag Mile). The Acme lived up to expectations by being extremely convenient and central. All the staff we met were fab too. Limited housekeeping but I generally don't take housekeeping anyway. You could ask for fresh towels if you wanted to but we only stayed a couple of nights anyway. The hotel has a very artsy vibe. Our room (huge - queen bed and a sofa) was very well decorated and a quirky touch was the chalkboard on the door that you could write on. The blackout at night was amazing too (quite rare in city hotels in my own experience). The bar was just great and the bartender was so creative just coming up with ideas with the vaguest help from the guest. There were little plates of things to eat as well but also loads of eateries within walking distance. We felt extremely safe (I was worried that I wouldn't but needn't have done). We definitely plan to go back there when we can and would recommend Chicago to anyone.

We just returned from our second stay at the Acme. We're fans of the Acme due to it's excellent location, but also because it offers clean, fun rooms at a great price. Notes for those thinking of booking: 1. They don't do automatic daily housekeeping, you have to request it daily, if that's what you want. We took our own trash out each day and got additional towels, so we were fine for three nights, but I think it's important to know that daily housekeeping is not standard. 2. There's no coffee maker in the room. On our last visit, they delivered coffee/tea to each guest in the morning, as long as you placed your order the day before; that's discontinued. With the bakery on the first floor not always open (some days, not at all), you're on your own for caffeine each morning! 3. The hallways can be noisy. We kept our AC fan on all night and it worked a charm to drown out any sounds. For the price and location, I still think Acme is a great place to stay. The staff were ALWAYS kind and helpful, the rooms are clean, the chalkboards are fun (lol)...I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, basic room in a truly great location.

If you are looking for an outstanding location, and an out of the box choice that is very creative, this is your place. This was the chosen hotel for our son's wedding. We had about 50 guests at the hotel and most everyone loved it. The rooms are creatively designed with an urban vibe. Our suite had plenty of space with a comfortable pull out couch. Beds are great. Our views included the inner shaft which was beautifully lit with three fake trapeze artists flying. And everyone had fun writing messages on the chalk boards hung on each guest room door. We heard some of the single rooms were smaller than people had expected. Great, friendly staff. The cocktail lounge got high marks and the location for a Chicago visit is perfect. The shower was great. We were able to request room cleaning each day. The lack of a closet was a surprise but not a big deal. The only downside was the lack of a coffee maker in the room and no room service for a coffee delivery. There is a small bakery with coffee on the premises but it is not open every day. So be prepared to go out for your morning coffee. The fun looking hot tub is now closed to guests as it now an event rental. Overall, a great spot if you are looking for a fun alternative to the more traditional hotels along Magnificent Mile.

I stayed at Acme for 4 days/3 nights in August 2022. Here are some thoughts on our stay… THE GOOD: - The vibe is super cool. If you're looking for an Instagram hotel, this is it. We were celebrating our daughter's 16th bday and she was snapping pics every 5 minutes. - The staff was friendly and helpful. - The location is great for Mag Mile and train access. The area also feels very safe. - Beds were comfortable. - They had a room available when we arrived and allowed early check-in without an extra fee. THE BAD: - There is hardly any counter space in the bathroom, so if you have a lot of cosmetics/toiletries, you have to store the majority outside of the bathroom or shoved in your bag under the counter. - It only has a rainfall shower head, which looks great, but is not very practical for the average person to do more than get the top of their head wet. - The bathroom sink faucet is not the proper size/shape for the sink, so when you wash your hands, water goes everywhere. - Lighting is super dim, so doing your makeup, or anything that requires good lighting, is difficult. Add that to zero counter space and my girls ended up sitting on the floor in front of the full length mirror just to put their faces on. - One of two elevators was broken the entire time we were there so getting up/down sometimes took a really long time. - The walls/doors were thin enough that we could hear people “enjoying themselves” while walking through the hall. This was real fun with our daughter in-tow.

Great value and location! Easy Walking distance to Michigan Avenue, River Boat Cruises, Navy Pier! Many good restaurants nearby too! Took my 11 yr old grandson for an overnight trip to the City! It was perfect! Room was spacious, updated and very Clean! Funky fun art deco decor! It made our trip so special! Val at the front desk was so good to us and very helpful too! Will definitely be back again!

The Acme is my favorite hotel to stay in in Chicago. The hotel has fun and surprising decor, it is in a great location close to shopping, restaurants, and very comfortable rooms with seating for everyone staying in the room and comfy, cozy beds.

This is a hidden gem in middle of downtown Chicago. Jennifer and Ra took great care of us and upgraded us to a suite for our anniversary. Great views, reasonable rates, and a unique boutique hotel experience. Highly recommend it.

Amazing hotel. Two people at check in were very friendly and accommodating. We had 2 rooms for our party of 6 and they made sure were had rooms on the same floor. We rented a double queen suite and the living room area was very nice. Plenty of seating, 2 mini fridges, a bar sink and a microwave. The windows all opened about 6 inches which was nice because it was cool outside in the mornings. I cracked the window and drank my coffee while listening to the sounds of the city. They deliver a thermos of hot coffee or tea to your room each morning at a time of your choosing. Both mornings of our trip it arrived right on time. Quick list of other things we liked: friendly housekeeping staff who always asked if we needed anything when we saw them in hallway; music playing outside and friendly door greeters at each arrival back to hotel; very comfy beds and pillows; great bar atmosphere and good drinks; location was perfect for getting to river, navy pier and subway station. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be back!

The Acme Hotel stay was a wonderful stay. The front desk employee, Shaunte was pleasant, professional, and friendly. She greeted us with a friendly smile and helped us with our questions. The hotel was clean (everything), rooms uniquely decorated. The bed was so comfortable we had to ask what type of bed was in the rooms. The beds are exchanged every 3 mos no matter what. Coffee was delivered to the room if requested at the time slot that you reserve. Hot and delicious! Checking out was easy. Also, the hotel will hold your luggage, bags, etc; tagged and put up in a safe place until you return. You must have the ticket issued to receive your luggage. Just awesome! Val was on it for us. Shaunte, Val and the counsier male was awesome. I apologize that we forgot his name. He was amazing as well. He helped us with our bags when the uber arrived. Prior to that, he was friendly, energetic and takes pride in his job. This hotel is a place that you would want to stay downtown Chicago paying your money. We will return to this hotel next time we are in town. We give it 5 stars! The owners of the hotel takes excellent care of it.

I had this hotel recommended by a friend and it checked all the boxes! It was close to everything and had an amazing vibe! The rooms are cozy and the decor and ambiance is great! We could walk almost everywhere that we wanted to go!

This hotel has a good location but that's about it. There is no housekeeping (which we weren't advised of) so 4 days with no clean towels etc. Don't plan on staying in your room much because it was dark and dungy. The air-conditioning is also super loud. Front desk people were pretty unfriendly. So for location it's good otherwise I'd give it a miss

When we visit Chicago we always stay at ACME. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is eclectic and fun. Their location is so convenient: the red line stop at Grand is just around the corner, the market is just across the street, along with a Starbucks. The rooms have a mini-fridge so we just hit the market for breakfast items and snacks and only have to eat out for dinner….so convenient. They are also only a few blocks to Michigan Ave, the River Walk, and the Pier…all of which are great activities in Chicago. The staff at ACME is great! Since we arrive by train the the mornings they allow us to register early for our room, which is a super convenience, that way we can get refreshed and don't have to lug around our bags. It's like making our arrival day and extra fun day. Thank you to ACME!!!

For the price, the hotel was fine. I appreciated the quirky aesthetic, but felt that service was lacking. Location was great. The coffee delivery in the morning was nice, but I only received it one of two nights I stayed there. There's no room service, and I didn't receive any housekeeping during my stay, which is fine, if there had been more transparency from the hotel upfront about lack of housekeeping.

This is a great boutique style hotel located in the heart of a lot of the must-do things in the city. Traveled to Chicago with another couple to show them the city and attend a Cubs game. We loved the rooms (king suites with city views) and the unique decor, the beds and pillows are very lofty and comfortable and the rooms were spotless. And who doesn't love looking at the Hancock from the 13th floor every morning? The staff is especially attentive, very professional and helpful. We loved the coffee delivery every morning too! We will definitely stay here when we return to Chicago.

Great location within the city, good location for walking to all the city centre sights. Helpful staff, cool decor and theme throughout and would recommend at least 1 cocktail in the Berkshire room. Marked down due to no natural light in our room (I understand this can be difficult in a city centre location) and that the walls are paper thin! Whilst I wanted to cheer on our neighbour's enjoyment of their room at 4:30am I was more annoyed about being woken up.

My wife and I travelled to Chicago in June of 2022 and selected Acme Hotel based on its location near the Red CTA line. Good: Location Coffee Bad: Staff was disinterested Its a bar more than a hotel Bakery is closed No More airport shuttle Many of the amenities that are advertised on their website are no longer available. While they are doing the best they can with their small size, its still a very small space. I don't think I'd recommend this hotel to any friends or family that are used to getting more for their money.

Boutique hotel with great decor. Great location with easy access to Red Line. Walkable area, only a mile from Navy Pier. Lots of restaurants nearby. Val at the front desk was fabulous at check in, securing my family an early check in to our room after our early flight.

When I first entered the room, I found the room so dirty. I saw too much dust in the air conditioner, window gap and asked to change the room. But I couldn't change it right away because there was no room. Even if I asked him to change rooms every day, the answer was the same. I go on business trips more than twice a month and go to many hotels, but I have never seen such a hotel. It's dirty, the service is terrible, and it's too noisy. I hope you don't waste your money. I paid $1,600 for 5 days and it was such a waste of money

Great service at the front desk at check in and check out. Small rooms but cool vibe and great price for a really great location. Rooms were clean and had everything you need. There is an Alexa in the room that would have been cool to use, but I couldn't get it to work. I'd stay here again.

Had a great stay at this super cute boutique hotel! From the decor to the most amazing customer service from Jerome and Gabby! Stayed at A LOT of hotels all over the world and this one was one of the best, simply because of the uniqueness, atmosphere, location, and staff! Definitely will stay here again!

This is my second stay at Acme. The first visit was great. I got here and they upgraded my room as an Expedia VIP member. I was also given the in/out privileges with the garage next door. This visit has been anything but wonderful. I was not upgraded despite still having the same qualifications. Not a big deal, since all i need is a room. The basic room, come to find out, does not have a coffee maker, nor a refridgarater. So, i went down to figure out what was going on. The attendant listened and was responsive, but not engaged. Come to find out these amenities have been removed from standard rooms. They have also ended the parking program. I travel every other week and these items are always included with my room. I find it difficult to understand removing these items when this is the standard in the industry. all of this seemed to be related to the pandemic, but when other hotels still offer these things, it seems an unlikey reason at this time. The attendant who checked me in was also either having a bad day or just rude. She was not interested in making my stay worth while. I seemed to be inconveniencing her. I will not recommedn staying here.

Visited Chicago for a convention and I wanted to stay somewhere as interesting as its subject matter. But, at Acme, I found something better. Fell in love with the soundtrack and the aesthetic immediately upon arrival. The first things that struck me upon arriving at my room were the handprint in the bedroom, the zipper in the living room and the lips in the bathroom. They're dedicated to keeping things clean. So much that they provide you with three forms of hand sanitizer: a small bottle in the bathroom and two wipes on the nightstand. Took advantage of the gym and laundry room in the basement. (You get quarters at the front desk, btw.) My favorite feature of this hotel is its location. The Navy Pier (where the convention was happening) was within walking distance and closer by were a coffee shop, an Italian supermarket, a burger joint, a burrito joint, a taco joint and a drugstore. Should I ever visit Chicago again, I would definitely stay here. You should too.

My sister-in-law and I went to Chicago for a girls'weekend. We stayed at the ACME Hotel for the first time. It was great! From the funky, fun decor to the comfy beds to the larger-than-expected quiet room to the friendly staff, we were very happy campers. There's also a great bar at the back of the lobby, The Berkshire Room, that seems to be a hot spot for non-hotel guests. I go to Chicago every so often with friends and plan to stay there next time!

I stayed four night. First impression was so so. Old industrial style building. Dark decor. Lobby barebones. Elevators again industrial that hanging LPs and piping in pop music doesn't cover up. Room was clean. Dark old furniture. Hole where there should have been a fridge. Some lighter IKEA type furniture wouldn't have been much more expensive and have brightened the room and given a cleaner and more modern feel. But after second night, my perspective changed. Staff were very helpful. I slept well on the comfy bed. Location is great. WIFI good. Has a printer and coin operated washer and dryer in basement. Price very fair. I would stay here again.

The rooms and hotel in general are super cute, unique, and clean which is always something I notice at hotels. There is an Amazon Alexa in the room which enhances the experience that much more. Valaida was super friendly and helpful and I would certainly come back.

Website when booking did not say that bakery was closed. Be careful if you are coming with loved one that uses w/c or has limited walking distance. Promoted that parking was less than a few feet away. Which is true the entrance for vehicle is but the entrance/exit for pedestrian in on the other block. Only one elevator working very small took forever to get up/down to our room with a w/c. Accessible rooms not tailored for the elderly.

Stayed mid week with my sister and my 2 girls (17, 22). Front desk lady was very nice, location was great, linens were clean and beds comfortable. However, the room was dirty. The area rug was stained beyond repair, dust and dirt on the floor, chipped furniture, and it sounded like they were moving furniture above us at 1 AM! And if 4 people are staying in a room....more than 2 coffee cups would be nice.

In Chicago for a girls weekend with my daughters. Booked Acme with the hope it would have a young and fun vibe. This hotel is anything but… the only positive was that we were allowed to check in early, although the person at the front desk was surly, not a smile or a greeting for us. Our room was dingy, chipped paint and stains on the bathroom wall. The furniture was scratched and damaged. Bed linens were dingy. There is no water available in the hotel but for a water machine in the basement. No bottled water whatsoever—even in the bar. We asked for the free coffee service in the morning. It never showed up. We called the front desk again and they finally sent some up—it was a thermos of coffee, no coffee cups, no cream, no sugar. Tasted burnt and bitter and was not hot. We called the front desk for extra towels, after a long pregnant pause, we were told that they would bring some in 10 minutes, they also never showed up. We had to again call the front desk and were told they should be there. Ummm, no, we are in our room and they are not here. We were not greeted once and we came and went. Just awful, awful service. Very disappointed.

Perfect for a night away in the city as it is close to shopping, movies, dining all within walking distance. Even in the arctic temps it was all just a few steps away. Food delivery simple and fast. Morning Joe is outstanding from shop downstairs.

Before we even arrived at the hotel someone in concierge messaged and told us that our room was upgraded and to welcomed us to Chicago. The room was extremely clean, impeccably decorated and had a very artsy vibe! We had views on both side of our suite. The first night, we called down to the front desk, after midnight, for an extra blanket. They had a blanket up to our room within 5 minutes! The next morning, they had coffee delivered to our door by 7:30 am. The customer service at Acme has been the best! Jerome at the front desk was fun and accommodating! He worked with us to make our stay even better! I will definitely be staying here again!

The hotel is amazing. The best area of Chicago and close to everything. If you will be in Chicago like me for the first time - you need to go to the ACME hotel. I'll always be back to the hotel when I travel to Chicago again.

It advertises itself as an approachable boutique hotel for the tragically hip. My membership in that club has expired. Still, its 80's rock n roll high school vibe seemed both forced and dated to me. To be fair, the room was clean . The price was fair. The location was central for a walking city like Chicago. The offerings in the lobby bakery were good. But the service from desk clerks could use a refresher course. And, in the final assessment, it just wasn't for me. You might like it,

We had the best time at your hotel. I do have to say initially I was a little nervous because it was a little darker inside the hotel and the decor seemed it was more for a younger group. But the staff was excellent and was professional and quick to meet our needs. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered an upgrade in our room. We ended up loving our three days at Acme hotel. It was nice to have Coffee brought up to our room and to be able to use our food credit at the bakery downstairs. The rooms are very comfortable specially the beds. Very clean. Great location walking distance to Michigan Avenue and many other places.. Thank you!

Beautiful view on the 6th floor, comfortable bed, very eclectic yet modern feel. Loved this hotel, would definitely go again! Loved the bar downstairs. Nice couple's getaway with friends. We stayed here to attend a jazz concert at the Winter's Jazz Club.

The Acme hotel has it all. Very clean room. Comfortable bed and a great view! Professional, attentive and kind people that made my time in Chicago one of the best yet! The morning coffee service delivered to my room was fresh hot and delicious. Jennifer took care of everything with a smile for which I am very grateful. Everyone who works here is great in the hotel is very well maintained and kept in exceptional order. Looking forward to my next visit to Chicago where I will be staying here again for sure.

The thing about hotels is usually go looking for something important. A soft bed, mental/emotional/physical space, an escape from real life. Whatever the reason it makes a huge difference when nice people, great surroundings, and ideally some nice amenities. ACME hotel has all of this. The front desk staff Danny and Jerome were so friendly and welcoming that I was sure they were my cousins having over to dinner. Joseph the concierge for the awesome in-house bar, The Berkshire Room was friendly and accommodating. The room is nice, modern, smelled great (important for me) and has a kick-it spot tiny table with cubes that you can move around the room (LUV)! And omg movie theater a block away, Eataly across the street, bars and restaurants everywhere. Tea/coffee service delivered to you room. I can go on and on. I will 1000% stay here again and recommend to my friends. Thanks for an amazing stay yall!

We stayed at the Acme Hotel two years ago and loved the location and the uniqueness of the hotel/rooms/experience. This time around was no different! We had an issue one of the nights with some loud noises from a neighboring room so we called downstairs and spoke with Danny. He was totally awesome and quick to make our experience better ASAP. He took care of us and for the inconvenience he even upgraded us to a bigger room on another floor! Some hotels and staff would just apologize and leave it at that ‘there's nothing we can do' type of mentality but Danny really stepped it up there for us!! I would definitely recommend Acme Hotel for a great stay in downtown Chicago. Great service, clean hotel and friendly staff!

From check in, to check out, and everything in between... this hotel was amazing! The staff at the desk are helpful and very accomadating! We were Celebrating a birthday and even though they were dealing with their own issues, they made sure we felt welcome ! Thank you Acme Hotel staff. You guys are definitely " Doing your Thing"

We stayed in the city view king suite for two nights. We were able to check in and go to our room super early which was fantastic. It was like having a small apartment downtown with a nice sized bedroom and a living room. The minibar was not stocked but we were able to find a wine store nearby. There were plenty of towels and soap etc. The room was super clean and the bed was nice and comfortable. There wasn't a closet in the bedroom…just hangers and two small rods with an ironing board in the bedroom (I thought they could fit a closet in there) personally I prefer to have my clothes out of sight. Also there was only one small bathrobe. I'm sure we could have had a second sent up but we didn't bother asking. There is also an Alexa in the bedroom which we unplugged…it felt a little invasive. The bedroom had a TV and living area had a TV, sofa and ottomans and a speaker system that we could plug our phone into which was nice. My only suggestions would be a coat rack or hooks for coats. We ended up throwing them on the chairs. Also a boot mat would come in handy when the weather is wet.

Awesome hotel, wonderful area and close to all kinds of shopping. The bar downstairs was great and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Free coffee every morning was a great morning start for us!!

The lady and gentleman that checked us in were great. Very friendly and attentive. The parking is very economical and right next door which makes it very convenient. Clean room and great location. Hope to stay there again in the future.

ACME Hotel was a great hotel stay. The staff was very friendly and attentive to requests. The entire hotel, specifically the hotel room was very clean. The hotel is located within walking distance from so much to do; from restaurants to shopping to nightlife. Would highly recommend and will definitely be making this my go-to stay in Chicago.

Lovely hotel, conveniently located with very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the intimacy of the room but had everything we needed! Bathrooms very clean and nicely decorated. Extremely comfortable bed with great mattress and pillows. The A/C worked very well. Overall just a great experience - will love to come back.

Good location. Staff was very disinterested. No valet. Old hotel with some paint and wallpaper to spruce it up. It was ok. Did not try either bar nor did we try the breakfast bar. It just seemed like the whole place was trying too hard and not quite getting it.

First time staying this particular hotel. Have always noticed it and its great proximity to so many things, so decided to give it a try since the price was right! Stayed in a King suite which had seperated bedroom and living room areas. Room was clean. Loved the fact that they offer a morning coffee delivery right to your door. Came in a cute stainless steel thermos, so if you don't grab it right away, it stayed warm! The Berskshire Room bar looked super cute but we didn't have a chance to grab a cocktail there. No valet but parking garage is right next door for a discounted rate of $25! All other hotels in that area charge $50+ for the night! Many fun things to do close by such as Eataly and Pops for Champagne. Nordstrom is right around the corner. Michigan Ave 2 blocks away. Really a fabulous location!

The Acme is a great place while visiting Chicago. Right in the middle of everything, close to public transit. Close to the Miracle Mile and plenty of great food within walking distance. The Berkshire Room is great to grab a drink. Oh and did I mention the coffee delivery every morning to your room?

I stayed here alone a couple weeks ago and loved the hotel and location so much I brought my husband back with me for our anniversary!! It is in walking distance (some longer walks) to everything we wanted to do. Navy Pier, The been, Willis tower. We had an amazing trip and nice quiet alone time (without the kids) last night! If you're into the not conventional decor with a urban chic twist this is your place!! Definitely 5 stars.

We had a wonderful four day stay, we really enjoyed the Bershire Room and the morning coffee delivery. The hotel also has a friendly staff and is in a great location for access to sites and restaurants.

Such a fun hotel - just enough out of the ordinary to break up the mundane while still being welcoming. Entire place was wonderfully clean, the Berkshire Room was AMAZING, and the location leaves nothing to be desired. Absolutely will be returning to this gem!

The hotel is situated perfectly for walking to all major attractions. Room was clean and staff friendly. The hotel has a wonderful bakery open in the morning. In the evening it opens a bar area that is richly appointed.

Service was exceptional, coffee was good. Decor was awesome. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Loved the waterfall shower. Check in/out was easy and staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Check in was a mess. Agent very rude and disrespectful. Location is great, right downtown and within walking distance to most everything. Parking was difficult to access but close by. Staff issue has me looking for other downtown options.

We really liked the location of the hotel. It was in walking distance from the Riverwalk, Art Institute, Millennium Park, Oak St. Beach, the Navy Pier and Michigan Ave. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and we really liked getting coffee delivered every morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we're in Chicago.

After shifting through various hotels, we decided this was the best location & a fun place to stay at. We were able to check in early to our room which was on the top floor at the end of the hall, so it was very quiet, and we were pleased to find a super comfy and clean room. We had a mini fridge, microwave, safe and a little sink + seated area too. The added Alexa speaker was a fun bonus since we had a girls weekend for the Hella Mega show, so we were able to use it frequently. It was also super convient for transportation since the L was right around the corner. The complimentary coffee was 100% needed and was hot once we got it. The atmosphere was fun and chic, too. The front desk associates were incredibly friendly and helpful the entire time (and the night before when I called to double check confirmation). 100% would stay & book again.

Great spot to stay to explore Chicago mostly on foot. It's decorated wonderfully if you like quirky and the bed was really comfortable! Great bar . Work out area is well anointed and clean. Parking is in a public garage next door and the hotel gives you a discount.

We absolutely love this hotel! Anytime we stay in the city, we stay at the Acme. I always get such a great night sleep there as the beds are Extremely comfortable and there's a black out shade if you want it. The service is excellent, the location is the best, the rooms are super clean and have a great vibe. We can't wait to return!

This was not your everyday hotel. It had a vibe that most other hotels do not have. Loved the location. I really liked that it had hardwood floors instead of the normal hotel carpet. The shower was my favorite.

The location was great and theme was interesting. However, we never got the coffee they promised in the morning and I had requested a good room for our anniversary, instead we were placed next to the noisy elevators, staring at a brick wall outside and the walls are so poorly insulated that you can hear everything. And I MEAN everything.

Stayed in July 2021 with family (adult children). Fun, but very helpful staff. Great location (2 min walk to Grand Red Line CTA stop). Lots of inexpensive places to eat nearby. Rooms were decent sized for a "boutique" hotel. Would absolutely stay again.

Everything from staff to hotel to the location were great. We wish we could have stayed longer. This was a great location and walkable to everywhere and it's also very close to public transport. The hotel was clean and the staff were all great.

Allie at the front desk was so accommodating throughout our stay. She was friendly and very helpful. Our room was very large and very comfortable. I was not happy with not having our room cleaned once throughout our 3 night stay. Our garbage piled up in both trash cans and we ran out of towels and body wash. The location is ideal if you want to be downtown.

Overall very good experience. Easy super-late check in, room was clean, cool...as advertised. Staff overall were very friendly and helpful. Only bummer was I requested the thermos of coffee each morning but they never delivered. I didn't complain as it really isn't a big deal, but was really looking forward to that thermos of coffee. I just went down the street and got my own.

The brochure said our room would be cleaned after two days, however it wasn't. Our garbage piled up. Our towels piled up. Our sheets got dirty. If they aren't going to clean rooms after two days then they should update their in-room literature. The lighting was terrible. The only real light in the bathroom was a heat lamp and it was already too hot without it. The main light in the room was burned out. Also, parking was extremely expensive even with the voucher. Bar patrons were constantly blocking the elevators and unwilling to move to allow guests through.

This hotel was cool! But, what stood out the most, was the courtesy and helpfulness of the front desk staff. We arrived at the Acme at 8am in the morning. We did not expect our room to be ready and told the front desk staff we would be going to a baseball game, so it was no big deal. Maria said she would do everything possible to have our room ready in a couple of hours. And, sure enough, we got a text shortly after that we could check-in. Not only that, but since we were staying 4 nights, we were upgraded to a suite. One thermos is delivered each morning. One afternoon, we requested two for the following morning and that is what we got. Then, since we were staying 4 nights, we requested stayover service (rooms were not being cleaned each day due to COVID) & the front desk staff member asked what time. We told him & the housekeeping staff got our room clean during the time period quoted. Excellent stay, with unique decor and a great location!

Convenient location. Rooms are clean. Close to public transportation, restaurants, and shopping centers. Customer service is good. However, rooms do not have refrigerator or microwave. Room service did not clean the rooms every day.

The staff is great! Quick check in, we had an issue with our room, the manager Jennifer upgraded us to a suite with no issues! I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is in the heart of everything! I will definitely be back. I'll be sure to reserve a suite, the other rooms are quite small, but all in all we enjoyed our stay!

Great location just blocks from Michigan Ave. A transit station on the same block makes getting around easy. The staff is top notch and friendly. The rooms are stylish and fun. What more can you ask for in a hotel - not much.

I can't say enough about this all around terrific hotel! From the location, to the staff, to the rooms, to the service, it was ALL great!! Location was perfect since it was so close to the Magnificent Mile. Major benefit!!! I have no complaints and WILL be back! The staff was wonderful, especially Liana, Sean, Jerome, and Allie! They will even hold your luggage free of charge before check in and after check out too! That was a major plus! The staff was so pleasant and even gave us tips on places around the city! Our stay at ACME was superb. The staff are courteous and accommodating, and always willing to help. Our room was immaculate, cleaned and sanitized prior to our stay. We stayed in a King room. The rain shower was an awesome touch that I wasn't expecting! The size of the rooms makes you feel like you can spread out and aren't cramped in, especially since my partner and I travelled together. I will definitely be returning to ACME for my next stay in Chicago!

I write this review to applaud Jerome and ally (spelling?) for their willingness to make accommodations which made my stay much more enjoyable. This the last day of my business trip to Chicago and my only night to actually enjoy the city. Wouldn't have been able to get the full experience without these two!

As a new member of the Best Western family - I had to go to Chicago and had a free night certificate. Perfect location - near Miracle Mile. At first I walked by the hotel - entrance sign was not too impressive. When I entered - treated very friendly. If is an older reconverted building and now with a very contemporary style. I even received an upgrade to a suite on the top floor. The cleaning and cleanliness of the room and facility was excellent. Not many of the extra services were available because of the pandemic. Uno's Pizza was a 20 second walk away! Great food. Two room suite - great view - 2 televisions with great reception. Very comfortable bed. I think the hotel would have a special appeal for younger people - as I am an old man I certainly enjoyed it too!

Booked a room for one night to focus on a work project and was greeted with the warmest reception by Allie and Jennifer! I specifically requested a quiet and well-lit room and they went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. Thanks, ladies!

I only got to stay here 1 night but I wish it could have been more. The location is great. Within walking distance of tons of stuff in Chicago. The hotel itself is fun and you get a lot for the price. The joe in the morning is awesome. Unfortunately the bar was closed and the mini bar was empty when I got there so I couldn't enjoy a drink on St Patrick's Day :( We loved the artwork in the room and outside our window. I took off one star because they didn't provide any info about parking beforehand and it's set up so that we had to walk outside in the rain around the block but other than that, it would be a 5 star review

Jeniffer, the front desk/manager, has been going above and beyond in order to make sure the stay here is amazing. I can't overstate enough how incredible her client service is. This woman deserves a promotion. I've stayed at various high end hotels all over Chicago with less hospitable management than this cool boutique hotel. I'd come back here in a heartbeat because of her.

This trip was for a girls weekend and the hotel was amazing the staff was amazing everyone was awesome I had a great time a great sleep in the room clean it was beautiful just like the pictures. There's nothing I would change and then front desk people are so great they are awesome they are kind courteous respectful they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was absolutely amazing. Definitely would recommend friends and family to come and stay at my hotel

I absolutely love this place. One of my co-workers recommended it, and we stayed there right after Christmas as a family tradition. We also stayed there a few weeks ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location is perfect. Nothing better than walking over to Eataly to get some meats and cheese to bring back. Also, if you get a city view, they are amazing. It is clean, the staff is so friendly, and the rooms are great. Ha, I almost don't want more people to find out about it... If you need a mini getaway (we live right near the city!) this place is perfect.

The trendy Acme Hotel has a fantastic staff located in downtown Chicago. The decor was fun and imaginative and its location was within walking distance to many great restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. Having a suite was perfect for our family of 4 and the pillows and bed were most comfortable! We also enjoyed a night cap at the hotel, where the bartender was very knowledgeable and introduced us to new tasty cocktails. We will definitely return in the near future.

It was an ok place, not a very private place you can hear other guests talking in their rooms (even from several doors away), also in a kind of sketchy area too. The decor is cool, I guess that's the attraction. Parking was 4 blocks away, not very convenient and unsecured. Was supposed to have a room of the city instead it was a parking ramp.

Had a great time at Acme. Jerome at the front made us feel really welcome and gave some great advice for places to go, we ended up going to an awesome Italian round the corner then checking out some local blues. Great location too, would stay again!

My friend and I shared a room at the ACME hotel during the College Art Association Conference. When we arrived Ra, Juan and Jerome were working at the front desk. They were very helpful and welcoming! The morning coffee drop off was great.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel! It had everything for comfort and enjoyment for my wife and I on our 1 week trip in Chicago. The location was close to most of everything we were excited to see in the city including the Navy Pier and Millenium Park! I would definitely stay here again. There was a great view of the city area. The experience was amazing.

We were all set to come to Chicago to attend the 2020 ACLA conference . We'd not ever been to Chicago and looked forward to exploring the city. We picked Acme because it was close to the conference and had lots of great reviews. Then the conference was cancelled due to the virus and my emails that I began sending on the 10th March did not get replies. I am still awaiting a reply - and the hotel has even sent a text asking us to contact if we have any problems - and of course has still not replied. I do not understand why I am being ignored while others get their full refunds...

We were all set to come to the US from New Zealand to visit our family in March/April 2020 . We'd not ever been to Chicago and looked forward to exploring the city. We picked Acme because it was central and loads of great reviews and we loved its super funky vibe projected through all the sites we saw. and BOOM the never believed, never expected, not in 1 million years did I ever think that our non refundable/not changeable booking would be at risk. BUT you guys made it super easy to say please can we cancel and have a refund and to my surprise without a drama you said ; you sure can! Thank you. We are gutted we can't come. I hope we can rebook soon!

The ACME was a refreshing stay. Perfect location to everything River North has to offer. I would definately stay here again. Great cocktails in the lounge. Service was genuine and made the stay even better.
