this was a short trip to geneva, 3 nights. hotel was nice, spa is not free, breaskast room can be quite crowded in the morning, the restaurant is nice, good food, but a little expensive, the yard is spatious and clean.

I stayed here for three nights for my business trip to Geneva. No public transportation from here, but nice thing is you can prebook your free shuttle drop to Genava airport from where city is well connected. Note that you need to buy a public transportation pass for Geneva as hotel cannot provide it as it is located outside Genava.

Excellent and competent staff. Chavannes de Bpgis is very convenient for us particularly as a stop over before taking early flights.We find the location ideal close to the lake and the atmosphere very relaxing.

The Best Western at Chavannes De Bogis is one of the best I have stayed at. The front desk is extremely helpful. They have an excellent breakfast buffet and great restaurant for dinner. Would recommend.

"Stolen Passport on premise"

We stayed at this hotel for a night on 16th Aug with a group tour, we had a dedicated breakfast room for all Asian Indians, 2 outsiders entered and picked ladies purse and left, we immediately reported to hotel, found on security surveillance video but sadly very poor coverage so could not have clear facial images, police just reported stolen, tried to find but in vain. Finally with stolen passports, green cards, credit cards, cell phones, cash and more, we got in helpless situation, hotel helped with shuttle service to Canadian embassy, and airport and train station and more. Finally they dropped our bags to airport what was great help for flying out from this place ASAP.Manager Joseph helped a lot, greatly appreciated.

I have uploaded multiple photos, which shows how Internet service was in the Hotel. Literally, it shows No Internet connection and I even called front desk and they said they don't have technician to look at it .

Very convenient from Airport. Easy to find, Great location with amazing views. Some construction currently, but that did not impact the experience. Staff was friendly and food was good. Priced reasonable for Location

We went to hotel in the middle of the week before the children return to school. We had enjoyed their service. the Children enjoyed the swimming pool. I enjoyed reading with a magnificent view.We had a very nice time.

Nice, clean rooms and good beds. Nice location, easy to drive. Hotel has a tiny pool and few deck chairs. Breakfast was good. Free parking place. Free Wi-Fi and Gym. Shopping center was nearby. We'll be back??

"Decent place to stay"

Fair hotel to stay for a short stay. Hotel middle of renovations on our stay which was not made aware of in advance therefore isnt really acceptable for the prices paid . Pool is tiny. Staff at breakfast cleaning up from night before and say where you can't sit...not acceptable really

"Convenient hotel with free shuttle to airport"

The hotel has a free shuttle to and from airport, the room is too small for 2 people, some of the restaurant and bar staff are very rude, check your bill if you eat at the restaurant, it has a small swimming pool, the patio and the garden is nice and had a good view

This hotel wasn't bad. Rooms were a bit small but still cozy. Our bedding & linens weren't changed daily. The breakfast wasn't impressive & it seemed that they don't know how to cater for large groups. All in all the stay was simply ok.

We stayed for one night in this hotel, visiting friends in Switzerland. Rooms are new and comfortable, very quiet, we had an excellent night after a long trip. Personnel is very friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy the swimming pool or the restaurant, but we will definitely come back to this place and have a look on additional facilities.

"Our litle paradise"

We are a family of four, with a 10 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. We were looking for að quiet and relaxing vacation in the sun. Best Western looked really good on the website and even better on arrival. We will certainly visit here again. Staff was great and really accomodating, always smiling and helpful. "Nice, with small pool outside"

This hotel is 4 km from the lake, close to the highway. Good food, clean and nice view. A good place for business meetings, but also family friendly. If you have a car, this is a good place to stay. It seems that they plan for a renovation soon.

"Good setting out of Geneva"

We spent two nights here in late June and enjoyed our stay. The hotel needs some updating and this is being done. It is only 15 minutes from Geneva airport by car/free shuttle bus (which also goes to Nyon Station). It is worth paying for a lake view room - even though the lake is a long way away! - and there are distant views of the mountains beyond the lake. There's an easy walk from the hotel down the lane outside. Breakfast is good and the staff throughout the hotel are excellent. One criticism is that, on the first night, a group of people sat outside talking loudly into the early hours and should really have been asked to move inside so that others could get to sleep! Perhaps best to request a room facing the lake but not above the outdoor restaurant.

The hotel is beautiful and the environment very pleasant. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. "Team visit for European draw"

We visited this hotel and took the board of directors from a local football team in north wales. The staff were very helpful the shuttle service to the airport and train station were very useful although we did have tonring to remind them of our request at times. Prices for drinks were a little steep however the view was spectacular lovely place we will use tj a place again

"Charming Stay in Switzerland"

This hotel was a wonderful respite after an 8 hour flight to Geneva airport. 10 minutes drive from the airport, the manager let us check right in which was a relief to jet-lagged passengers. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle service. The front desk staff, especially Sebastian and Stefany were extremely gracious, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The breakfast was extraordinary, not like standard American fare.

"Hotel average; restaurant top quality"

I have stayed at this hotel for the first time and I must say that it's quality is average BUT it is being renovated and I think it will make a great location when done. This being said, the rooms are clean, miss a little warm touch and general areas like corridors need some modernization and sound proofing. The personnel is great and very helpful, it you get a room facing the lake, you get a nice view and it is quieter than facing the highway. The whole ground floor has been renovated and it looks fantastic. The breakfast area is nice and the restaurant is wonderful. The restaurant staff is very attentive to your needs, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is a delight. Just waiting for the rest of the hotel to be updated and it should become a great location, 15min away from the airport and 10min away from the Lac Léman.

The room was very clean and ALL the staff were extremely friendly. There was a shuttle from the airport to the hotel which is a must a this hotel is a little out of the way. However the amenities and staff made this a pleasant trip for me.

"Restaurant changes make the difference"

What a difference. Haven't been here for a couple of years after some bad experiences. Had been using other hotels in Lausanne and Divonne. A few weeks ago I had no choice to return as everywhere booked up, but I'm glad I came back. They've transformed the restaurant: food, service and surroundings SO much better. Hotel is now back at the top of my list and I've returned three times in the last two months. They seem to be in the middle of further renovations so looking forward to see what other improvements they make!

Very well situated. Close to Geneva, the airport. Rooms sufficient and clean. Rather on the small side. The noise from the highway does not really matter. Dinner was excellent and tasty. Not to sure about the set up and decorations. Breakfast average, certainly sufficient. Very good parking facilities

Overall the service which i got was good. All staff are very friendly specially one German guy who was excellent. I expect swimming pool and jim facility should be open for all with free of cost. You can open a opera theater in addition. The internal facility which i got was very good. I enjoyed the trip.

Even though the hotel is outside of Geneva, I loved the location as there was a free shuttle. A large shopping centre is located about 20mins walk away. They staff were lovely and friendly. I stayed in room 2051 and had a magnificent view of the lakes and mountains. The bed was super comfy and the room spacious. The bathroom was roomy and clean. I didn't have the opportunity to use the spa facilities but hope to in the future. The breakfast was good and varied. My daughter accompanied me the last day and was offered a 10chf express breakfast. Will definitely, be may first choice in the future when visiting Suisse. Same review added to Booking.com

"No frills hotel"

Some of the staff are very friendly and others not so much. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It is difficult to book the shuttle to Nyon for dinner as they are always going to the airport to pick up guests. Room was clean, but extremely hot. I had to sleep with the window open even though all the heat was turned off. This is crazy when it was so cold outside! Restaurant was ok but I am not a big fan of eating in hotel restaurants anyway. There is no room service and no place to buy water or snacks at the hotel. If I ever make it back, I will stay in Nyon.

Big City comfort without the Big City confusion. Isolated in the suburbs of Geneva, and only a 20 min train ride to the city (less by car). Modern rooms, great restaurant, and accommodating staff. Currently, renovations are wrapping up...can't wait to come back after the improvements.

"Very decent hotel - big shame wellness suite not included in guest price"

This is the second time i've stayed in this hotel - the staff are extremely friendly but there are a few niggles. Breakfast had definitely gone downhill since last time (don't know if this is due to the renovation works), and it's a big downer that the use of the wellness suite is not included for overnight guests but costs an additional CHF30 or thereabouts. This is not mentioned on their website and is a big shame.

"Very basic hotel in the middle of nowhere"

Lets be clear - this is a very basic 3 star hotel situated about 20 km outside the city centre. It is located between a highway and some scattered houses and fields and there is no way that you would choose to come here unless there was no alternative. The rooms are tiny and - at least in my experience and several colleagues, uncomfortably hot. The one bright star in all this was the restaurant, where the food - including the breakfast - was surprisingly good for such a simple hotel. That's just as well actually because there is nothing else within walking distance. There is a free shuttle to the airport and train station but be sure to book it in advance because the service is erratic

The hotel was clean, check-in was easy, the staff were courteous and friendly though I wish I spoke French to communicate better. I also liked the conference room facilities. The meals were nice too. Though the location was far from the city, it was good for the workshop to keep participants focused. Because I had a nice stay in Chavannes-de-bogis, I chose Best Western when I went to England from Geneva.

"Tight but good!"

If you aren't travelling by car and are using public transport, you can have challenges reaching this place. The hotel itself is pretty good but the double occupancy room can be very tight for 2 ppl. The food in the restaurant is generally good, and no complains whatsoever on the breakfast.

I stayed here for 10 days in November, 2017. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They also gave great recommendations for restaurants in Geneva, Lausanne, etc. The views of the Alps and Lake Geneva from my room were incredible. As a runner, I enjoyed running the miles of open spaces very close to the hotel. The restaurant was superb. Nice options for dinner. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall, the staff made me feel very welcome. I will most likely stay there again when I visit Geneve in January. Dale J. Davis

This hotel is about half an hour drive to Best western Hotel,Archamps. Hotel room opted by us is reasonably better in size.Though certain basic amenities are not provided ,they are provided upon request.The hotel is very well equipped with excellent infrastructure.The hotel provides facilities to organise meetings/conferences etc.Staff of hotel are very good and helpful.Though this area is surrounded by few other important hotels,the location is absolutely not convenient to any thing.No shopping centre is accessible to this location.One is forced to stay back in the hotel .No entertainment. We have taken a hired Taxi to go to Geneva,SW by payng a sum of Euro 60 per one way.We hired a Taxi to go to Annecy in France by paying 75 Euro per one way.It is very expensive to stay in this location.

"Although just off the highway but a room with a view"

When I saw the location of the hotel (right by the Geneva-Lausanne highway) on the map I was first very disappointed that I had to spend 5 days there. But I looked the other way upon arrival and saw the Lake (Lake Geneva). The hotel is on the outskirts of a quaint little village boasting and international school therefore attracting an international community too. Food was also a pleasant surprise. It is an ideal place for events that need isolation: the meeting rooms are functional, staff helpful and wifi stable throughout the whole building. Sunrises are awesome over the lake. Shopping centre on the other side of the highway is walkable (it is actually a nice walk by and apple grove).

"Trippy space bar with great service "

We live close to this place and always promised/threatened to go in for a drink. Finally we did and it was a pleasant surprise. A good menu at the restaurant and the Space Bar was like something out of a 1970's space movie (that's a good thing), great service and music. And I suspect this place has one of the best views over lake geneva than any hotel in the region

Extrmely noisy room from the nearby highway traffic. Room also very small and smelt oddly after plastic. Impossible to open the window due to noise. One of the towels was contaminated with blood. Breakfast terrible. Old bread. Nice view at the Alps and the lake from the other hotel side. Avoid this overpriced hotel!

Hotel is in the good position for business travelers as it is close to Geneva and not far away from Nyon. The prices are ok compared to offering, but the restaurant stuff could be more business driven. Food is ok and the rooms are clean. Breakfast has varieties of different possibilities. "What a charm!"

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for the weekend to explore Chamonix and Geneva. The hotel shuttle picked us up from the airport despite it being just after 11pm. The room was big and very clean. The room was also very modern. Breakfast was really good with a wide variety. There was also gluten free options which I appreciated. The hotel reception is very friendly and helpful. We booked at reception a shuttle to take us back and forth from the airport free of charge. There is frequent shuttles to the airport and is only 10min away from airport. There is various transport means from the airport and it was easy to get around. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and found it so easy to get around. Would definitely go back again!!

"Boring rooms, restaurant service far below average"

In the middle of nowhere, so you are more or less forced in to their restaurant, where the service is at a very low level. I had to apologise for wanting to eat in their restaurant, before they started serving me. My 2 colleagues was already eating, so we needed a bigger table, that was out of their normal procedure, so it became very difficult. On top, the menu is not very interesting. Quality of the food is OK. Been here twice, same experience, Will not return.

If you are looking to combine a business stay with some high quality leisure time, this is the perfect address in the Geneva area: the hotel is ideally located, close to the city and GVA airport and near the region's main tourist attractions: Nyon, Divonne, Mt Jura. "A Aroom (and hotel) with a good view"

Traveling for work I was able to secure a room for a night a bit removed from my meeting venue. When I arrived in the gray of rain, I was initially disappointed. However, the staff were friendly and capable. The room while very cramped was clean, comfortable, and in good working order. As the clouds cleared, I found myself surrounding by a beautiful pastoral area surrounded by orchards and alps. I ate 3 meals here: all were good and nothing so costly as it remembered from being in Zurich a few years ago. It was a good day stay.

"Bad service and tired hotel "

The place is a bit tired but that is ok. What makes it bad hotel is the very bad service. When asking for an ironing board staff clearly could not be bothered. So they first lie to me saying that its in room, and then say they don't have any. When I asked for a taxi, reception told me to use Uber as she "does not have the number of a taxi company".... Right....

My family of five recently stayed in this hotel for the third time in the last six years. I have written two previous reviews of this property and am pleased to say that all of my comments have been addressed. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the shuttle drivers. I found the food in the restaurant to be quite good (much better than my last stay three years ago). The wait staff were extremely friendly. I feel that all of the staff members at this hotel did their best to make our stay very pleasant. The rooms are basic but very clean and quiet. The location of the hotel is delightful. It was so nice to sit outside and look at the views of the lake and mountains. I highly recommend having a car in order to fully experience the area. This hotel is convenient to the airport and businesses in the Nyon area. If you are planning to spend all your time in downtown Geneva, this would not be the best option for you however the price is much better than anything you will find in Geneva.

"Alternative to central Geneva"

Central Geneva hotels are often fully booked and/or offer poor value. This place is about 15 mins drive to the centre and is worth considering if you're mobile. The hotel itself is fairly average and a bit tired but adequate. Also, just about everyone who works in the hotel are French rather than Swiss and hence the service is fairly poor. We thought the restaurant wasn't bad but a bit pricey.

"Something really strange going on at this hotel"

We tried to check in and the desk had no record of 3 people - they told me I had a room for 1 adult and 1 baby and could reserve a suite for an additional $120 Swiss francs per night (!!!!) I produced a copy of my reservation which clearly stated 3 people were staying there and that it included a folding bed. I was told this meant a baby bed. Luckily I had reserved through Best Western and was able to call the corporate office who helped coach me on how to fix the problem. I asked to speak with a manager who moved us to the suite at no charge, which we appreciated, but this took 90 minutes of waiting with my exhausted kids. On top of this, the floor above us was undergoing some kind of work and at 8:30 both mornings there was loud drilling on the floor of some kind. I recommend you absolutely find another place to stay or know that the language on the website for the room doesn't matter to the staff there.

"Lousy service from the start"

We should have known it was bad when the hotel shuttle drove off without us at the airport. We waved at it, but the driver didn't care. Then we waited 45 minutes in the broiling heat to be picked up - we had to call the hotel 3 times. No apology when we arrived. The female driver who was the one who drove off just shrugged her shoulders and continued talking with the manager of the front desk who also didn't care. At the pool bar the female bartender refused to understand an order for "Drei Fassbier" (I am Danish) - and only reacted when it was changed to "trois pression" - I am aware that there are linguistic and cultural barriers in Switzerland - but people working in the hospitality business need to leave such issues at home. Later that evening, an American couple joined our dinner table. We waited and waited. No service. Finally I asked the waiter working the drinks to please get us a waiter. He refused. Not his job. Even later, when the Americans had managed to order and their food was finally ready, a waiter came out doing circles with the plates, not knowing what table it was for. I caught his eye and pointed at our table. He rushed over and asked me what was my problem!?!? On the Sunday evening, after a hard business weekend, the staff refused to find us a table because the bar tables were taken and the restaurant tables (we intended to eat after a few drinks) were not open yet. We were shown a group of chairs out on the grass under a tent, which was directly in the sun and very hot…and full of bugs. We only got seated after I refused to sit in the grass and I insisted on seeing the manager. Finally on Monday morning at breakfast there were no napkins on our table. My partner reached over and took a napkin from an empty table and was reprimanded by the staff! The physical surroundings of this hotel are OK in the way that four star chain hotels are these days, that is: efficient, clean and unremarkable. But the staff is absolutely horrendous and obviously have an internal culture where their own rules and political/cultural beliefs (this is a French speaking hotel) have made them completely forget who is the guest and who is the employee. They should simply not be working in hospitality I travel constantly all over the world, and I seldom write reviews. I know many kinds of hotels and know what to expect. The restaurant food was good if a bit overpriced. But the service was simply singularly bad and probably the worst overall experience I can remember. This hotel needs a top to bottom review from senior management of the hotel chain.

"Acceptable place with a good view"

I have stayed at the Best Western, which has clean bedrooms, comfortable beddings and a beautiful patio view of lake Geneva. My only comment is that it is animal friendly and the smell throughout my stay was disgusting. Restaurant has good food, but service during breakfast could be slow with little variety, still better than American buffets. Overall a pleasant experience. PS: you need a car if you stay here.

Location is little far from the center of town but nice and clean. Thay offer free shuttle bus. Staff are kind and helpful. Restaurant is OK. Lake side view is recommended. Good area for bike, running and walking. There are nice size gym and SPA.

"Nice location"

The hotel is good for conferences. It's far from the big cities (Geneva and Lausanne), therefore, the participants may concentrate on the interaction among themselves, not with the tourist attractions (except for Montblanc on the horizon, of course :-)). If you want some rest from a chaos of your business, it's also a good place to be, you'll feel almost like a hermit: walking in the fields, going to the Geneva Lake, etc. There is a good supermarket nearby, and on the French side just 5 km away, there is a lot of cafes and restaurants which are open till late hours, and are three times cheaper. The only thing which really irritated us, was an enormous number of flies, which would zip through your room, sit upon your food, and bother you in all the other ways which flies are really professional at. I wonder why the hotel management would not apply some simple fly-fighting measures, starting from sticky strips hanging from a ceiling, all the way through to such complicated and effective devices as high-voltage traps where all the mosquitos and flies are immediately incinerated in a flash of lightning.

"Staying for a conference"

The hotel was greatly understaffed and that led to some stress to the personnel (especially in the restaurant/catering area ) who was often unable to help and was perceived as not really caring. The plates and the cutlery in the restaurant weren't very clean. Some of colleagues were not able to sleep at night since there was loud music coming from downstairs, (party/wedding), and the music went on all night long. The acoustic in the hallway and in the room was not good and the rooms were pretty noisy.

"Quaint, countryside"

Clean but very small room in a quaint property. Free shuttle from and to the airport but make sure you book well in advance or else you get rides at inconvenient times. Main problem I had is that there were many flies and much of the food was not covered. Another problem is if you have any special meal requirements you will get a repeat of the same tasteless food for a hefty price. At the same time, the restaurant served one of the best veggie burgers I have had so had it twice in four days. But other lunch and dinners (on a vegetarian diet) were not particularly tasty nor did they have much protein and were expensive for what you get. My room was so small that I was glad my wife didn't come with me as the room would have been too crowded. Nonetheless, there is a special feeling about the hotel.

Fortunately I booked a room on the lake side of the hotel which was well equipped. The room service was not the best what we are used to get from Best Western hotels. At 3 pm the room still was not made as there was not enough staff available for room service. There is a water cooker and some coffee and tea available. Instead of black tea there was some chamomile tea (both yellow packages) in the room. When we told the maid she changed it. The choice of the menu of the restaurant was limited and cooking was average. The price is rather for a good restaurant. Other restaurants are far away. If you book this hotel better book a lake view room as the country side rooms are to noisy because of the motorway. pore

Lovely, clean hotel; friendly, helpful staff. Food at the conference was OK, but the dining room was very nice. Don't be late as the breakfast buffet gets cold and is not replenished without asking. The pricier rooms are not worth it. They are located over the patio. Late night parties and cigarette smoke will keep you awake. Bedrooms are great for one; a bit more challenging for two adults, but very clean and comfortable.

Just spent 11 night at this hotel. On the first day I was fortunate to be checked into lake facing room really early. The hotel has an odd Y-Shape, so quite a few of the rooms face the fields the hotel is located in, and the highway (a bit) and the lake in the distance.. and mine was one of those on the 3rd floor. The 4th floor has only a few rooms due to the new SPA facility (which you pay extra for), but they also have balconies. In my room the heater and air-con were not working, which I reported on the first day. They got the heater working, but did not replace batteries in the air-con remote, despite my reporting it once. The extractor fan in my bathroom did not work, but I did not bother to report it, as the room and bathroom were nice and clean, but a bit small. My room had a bath with shower in it, but many rooms do not have a bath. The desk chair is almost at the foot of the bed so a bit tight, but there are more than enough power plugs, and everything worked otherwise. Breakfast is a bit strange, in that there is no service at all. Its a buffet and not very healthy. Only "Kellogs" cereals are offered, sadly no "Swiss Stile" cereal were on offer. Breakfast closes punctually at 10am. and they draw some funny "curtains" at the breakfast buffet, which I found quite amusing. The hotel offers a great FREE shuttle to and from the airport, Nyon, and the rail station (not to Geneva city). You book this shuttle at reception. The drivers are very friendly, and accommodating, but sometimes they run a bit late, which I found amusing given Swiss precision. The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere, so nothing around, and so you need the shuttles to get to anywhere, except a large shopping mall, which is about 20min lovely walk away. Generally the hotel is old, but renovated slightly small rooms, and clean and friendly.

too expensive for what you get. My room was 3062, bed very small, pillow squared?!? and a bit noisy (beside the entrance door to the floor) I had dinner at the restaurant and paid 66 fr for an small fillet overdone while I asked medium raw.

"Lovely view"

The Best Western Hotel just outside near Nyon, Switzerland was a good place to overnight while visiting family. The rooms are modern and clean, without carpeting or curtains if you suffer from allergies. We had taken the economy size room, which was barely big enough for two but which had everything one needs for a night: coffee pot, safe, hanging space, good TV, very good shower, and sufficient bathroom space. If we had stayed for more time, it would have been difficult to dispose of two large suitcases in the available space. The staff was friendly and quickly sent us different pillows on request. As in many hotels the air con is not on in the winter, so we needed to open the window at night. On the highway side this meant a noisy night. We requested that the air con be turned on the next night, and slept very well with our window closed. Perhaps best to ask for a window on the opposite side of the hotel. Breakfast is included. It was good if not exciting. They were perhaps a bit understaffed, but that may have been due to holidays. The available staff were helpful. We would stay again for an overnight or two. If staying longer, we would take a more expensive, larger room.

"Good hotel -far location"

Stayed at this hotel on business travel needed something reasonable price for a convention at pal expo. They do offer shuttle service and it's a good thing as this hotel is far off in the countryside. Restaurant is good and they have two bars. The late night bar is a cool little scene. Food at the restaurant had a new menu and was good. Rooms were satisfactory. Only thing is the location IF you need to go to the city center I don't recommend this place a taxi from there at Geneva rates will cost you 85 francs each way.

Nice hotel . Good pool area of you want some chill time weather permitting. Gym was good for a hotel, outside drinks/dining area was nice. Rooms were not huge but clean and well maintained, good that had plug sockets for uk/Europe/Swiss.

This hotel can be used for company meetings. The rooms are comfortable also if not so big. I have been here for two nights for a company event, the service was in the average as well as the food. A hotel with good proximity to the airport, free shuttle bus service, poor breakfast, clean rooms, but difficulties to communicate in english at the reception. I arrived at 09:00 my room was empty and i asked to give a priority and to clean it before 13:00 (4 hours later) in order to be ready for a conference and the answer was the check in is after 14:00! I insisted and finaly my room was ready.

We were not expecting much from this hotel reading the reviews, while some friends had stayed a couple of years ago and were similarly unimpressed. So it was a pleasant surprise - great location just 10 mins from the sporting event we were attending but with fabulous views of the lake and vineyards and a warm welcome despite a lot of us descending en masse! Rooms are bright and modern and very spacious - we overlooked the pool and lake so there was little traffic noise, although the air con can be a bit loud. Nice modern bathroom and comfy bed too, and as a bonus managed to find BBC1 on the TV to watch the olympics late at night! Breakfast on the first morning was a bit chaotic with food items running out and few staff to clear tables but to their credit, it was much better on the following mornings. The pool and gardens are lovely, although the pool is very cold! There's also a small but well equipped gym. You can have breakfast and dinner on the terrace enjoying that lovely view. The restaurant is good - excellent choice at breakfast and has some lovely items on the menu for dinner but is very expensive; budget about £25 for a main course alone. Drinks are also pricey but you will do well to get served and this is my biggest gripe - there is a nice bar but it was never manned when we were there, so we had to go back to the restaurant to get drinks. Looks like they do a lot of conference business and this would be a major issue at any of the conferences I've ever attended!

Practical location of this hotel, close to the highway, not far from either Geneva, Nyon or Divonne in France. It has a nice garden, a spacious terrace where food and drinks are served, some climbing and play stuff for kids, a beautiful view on the lake and the mountains and free parking (and free shuttle to the airport) Our standard room was on the first floor and a tiny bit of a disappointment, because it was quite small. But it was clean, I liked the (fake?) wooden floor, the bathroom was efficient but no toiletries nor shower cap are provided except for the fixed soap dispenser. The aircon works well. It switches off if one opens the window (very efficient :-) We had breakfast outside at 8 o'clock in the morning. It was still relatively quiet (I think the families and their children come later) and we were welcomed with a friendly smile. The bread and croissants were fresh, the tea good, the espresso not so good (and only 1 machine = not enough = waiting), fruit salad that was awfully sweet and I think sweetener or sugar was added. What I did NOT like is the fact that any outsider can enter the various hotel floors and have access to corridors and rooms. Nobody needs a room card to access the lift or the stairway. We tried to have diner outside on the terrace but staff was overworked and did not pay us any attention. We decided to drive to the next village, Commugny, and have some Italian food at the local pizzeria. If you leave the hotel grounds/parking, turn left, at the end of the road (roundabout) make a right turn and drive all the way down towards Commugny. Pass the little village, but keep on the same road, the pizzeria is on the left with free parking in front. There is a big shopping mall on the other side of the highway, "Chavannes Centre". You can take the car or walk there. I think it opens at 9 o'clock in the morning and in case you are interested, Manor restaurant offers breakfast for 6 Swiss francs (6 ingredients plus a hot drink of your choice). Overall a pleasant stay.

In a city that boasts so much wealth and fine hotels, this hotel is an anomaly. Situated half-an-hour away from the city by road, you need wheels to get here. Driving through idyllic Swiss countryside, the first view of the hotel, a grey cement fortress against green farmland, is not flattering. It sets the tone for a very practical facility that offers no frills. The reception staff deal with my check-in with the efficiency of clockwork and without a glimmer of a smile. Your room is tiny. Mine had a view on the car-park. Breakfasts are spartan and dinners will cost you a small fortune. The only redeeming factor is the view from the restaurant that overlooks the lake, and if you're lucky Mont Blanc. If you are organizing a large meeting, as I was, the conference facilities are superb. There is a large shopping mall within walking distance and a free shuttle bus to the airport. You are pleased to leave.

I recommended this place to a friend as i had dined there before and found the place downstairs really lovely and expected the rooms would be of similar calibre. Well, after the first night she had to cancel her booking and change hotels. Her room was so small she was unable to completely open her suitcase. Truthfully, it is ridiculous how tiny and cramped the rooms are. Also the bathroom is like something out of a cheap motel room. Very small and basic. I have stayed in other 3 star hotels that have been far better than this. She transferred to a 4 star in the centre of geneva for not much more in terms of cost and the location and room was superb in comparison. I would avoid staying here unless you have no other options.

I was assisting to a business training at the Hotel Best Western Chavannes De Boigs and I was disappointed with the choice. It's not a good modern place neither a well maintain classic place. Service is not good, some people collaborative but others just simple rude. I don't recommend it unless is absolutely necessary.

Isolated location, not too far from either Geneva or Lausanne, and the hotel takes full advantage of that. There are no restaurants nearby so the hotel's restaurant is and ok even if rather pricy choice. The rooms are clean but the communal areas need some upgrade. For example the carpet in the hallway was stained and looked dirty :( The original invoice was wrong so I had to pay extra 90CHF...

Stayed in this hotel as part of Veena world tour and stayed only for one night. Breakfast is very basic, rooms are very congested and small bathrooms. They do not provide any tea/coffee facility in the room. Very far from city center. They provide free wi-fi. Also a shopping complex is nearby.

I have mixed emotions about this hotel. When you are looking at this hotel, it is probably because it is close to the highway and close to Geneva or Nyon and because there are not many other options available. If you are looking at this hotel for a nice holiday hotel: there is not a lot to do in the near area and the hotel is mainly populated by business people. The outside of the hotel looks like an 80s bunker. The inside they luckily upgraded. Now it looks all fine and clean, but you will always see that you are in a hotel which was designed to serve the purpose of efficiently housing guest and not to offer the best possible stay to guests. Rooms are fine for sleeping, but standards rooms are too small to enjoy staying in there. Compared to the typical hotels, this one offers a large terrace outside and even a small pool. You also have a lake view, but it is not a spectacular view. Inside the hotel you don't notice that you are almost on the highway. Around Geneva the demand of hotel rooms is often higher as the supply. Because of this reason, my company had to pay the highest rate I have ever seen for a 3 star hotel room. Management. The hotels management has a view attention points to look at. When I entered the hotel and got my room, the room wasn't cleaned (it was already 21:30 when I tried to check in). The intern assisting me was actually made for hospitality; he apologized and made sure that I got a cleaned room, even though the hotel was fully booked. Great guy. The checkout in the morning was an absolute disaster. There were 3 ladies handling the checkout and it was a mess. They seems to have problems everywhere: the method, the bookings, the accounting, the payments and the machinery. The ladies had to help each other and phone for help. I had to wait 45 minutes before I got checked out; in that 45 minutes the 3 ladies helped about 10 different guests to checkout. My apologies to say this, but the management should be ashamed of themselves. If you know that your clientele are business guests and you dare to ask for 275 USD / 250 EUR for a typical 3 star room in a hotel on the highway, then you should at the very least be able to process your clients smoothly and correctly. These business guests really don't try to check out at 07:30 because they were already awake and have all the time in the world. When it was finally my turn, the lady didn't even offer any friendly response. No ‘how was your stay' or apology for the wait. It is 2016. There are many hotel chains in Europe which are literally better in everything and ask for way less money. The fact that the demand is very high, is not an excuse to not invest in your service. There are plenty of hotels which can check you out and make you pay in the same time as you are paying at the petrol station.

Staying at this hotel for a work event. Was pleasantly surprised with the views and lovely, efficient management. As the desk forgot to ask me for a credit card deposit I ordered food from the restaurant without thinking (no room service by the way, you have to collect your tray yourself). At first the reception tried to stop the restaurant from giving me the food, then when I insisted I eat the food before it went cold and would pay afterwards, they absolutely could not trust me to wait until morning to give my credit card details in person at the reception, despite the fact I was booked in for another 2 nights. When I challenged the receptionist on her rules she told me the rules are more important than customer service. Seems Best Western has indeed re-defined customer service but not for the benefit of the customers.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel and were impressed with the hotel and the quality of the service staff. This hotel stands out in Europe as a top quality conference centre.With the use of our GPS, the hotel was easy to find. The room was above expectations especially size and comfort. We had dinner at the restaurant and the server went above the call of duty in meeting our wishes with a relative simple meal. Great place to visit.

We stayed at the hotel stranded due to a flight cancellation. The hotel booked us a taxi with the company Royal Transport when they knew that we could not use our airline voucher with that company. The taxi's business card states the name of the hotel, so we can only guess that the hotel sent us in that vehicle to us on purpose in order to be able to charge us for their special taxi. The taxi driver told us that it was the second time that happened the same day, but he did not care to ask us when we got into the taxi, he only told when we arrived, at the moment when told us that he would not take our airline voucher. He made us pay in cash instead.

On the airline voucher you did receive at the airport, there was normally a taxi company name with a phone number : that is the taxi company referenced by Geneva airport in case of flight cancellation. They are the only one who can handle a transportation in that particular case, and will accept your voucher. Our reception staff did call the company we are usually working with, in case they were not informed you were reaching the airport dued to a cancellation and had a voucher with you. Hotel is very nice and super clean. A great view of Mont Blanc and the lake over my room. Also, the hotel is fully equipped, so most of the needs and services are provided very fast and very professional. Restaurant serves different variant of dishes, and serve hot and fresh... Thank you and next time, I'll visit Switzerland, I'll stay here again. Great competitive value of hotel.

I was staying at the Best Western Chavannes for 12 days for a business trip. First off, it is very close to the airport, around 15-20 minutes or so will get you there. There is a free shuttle hotel service avaliable if you arrange it in advance. I had a decent room since it has a beautiful balcony overlooking Lake Leman. However, the room was relatively small, with a very compact work desk which can barely fit a dining tray. The room can also use a bigger TV as I think it was only 23" or so. The washroom and closet was located in another section of the room seperated by a door which felt a bit cramped. Amenities wise, it doesn't have anything in the room unless you request for it. It is advisable that you bring your own slippers as the hotel does not provide any. The hotel has a nice restaurant at the lobby which has some expectational cuisine for dinner. Breakfast is mediocre at best since it has a very small selection. The most inconvenient thing about the hotel is its location. You won't be able to find anything near the hotel. The closest mall/shopping centre is the Manor Chavannes which is just across the highway, but it will take you 20 minutes to walk over since you will have to walk to the underpass to cross the freeway. Beware that the mall closes by 7pm if you are walking over from the hotel. Overall, it was a decent hotel for the rates that is offered for Switerzland standards. This is a good hotel if you have a car to get around, if not, you will be stuck in the hotel most of the nights.

We stayed here for a night as part a group Europe tour itinerary. The room was spacious(2 adults and a child) with a separate bed for the child. Three of us did not feel cramped for space for us and luggage. They can do better with tea cups and bathroom towels though. Since we reached late in the evening and left post breakfast(the spread was good) did not go around or had any interaction with the staff.

Very nice hotel, 15 minutes from Geneva by car. But reachable by bus and train too in about 20 minutes all together (bus station to train is 5 minutes walk from the hotel). It is at a very quite place at the lake. Very nice staff. Pet friendly. Good breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant.

This was our second visit, having stayed in July,,,,,we noticed a difference, sadly not positive, the plastic cups and spoons in the bedroom were not what we expected, we mentioned this to the reception and they made a note and assured us that we could have porcelain in the future. The pillows were feathers, but once we mentioned to housekeeping about allergies, they gave us two foam ones, taking two days to get two! Still excellent for parking, and for getting to Geneva, Lausanne, etc, well situated on the motorway. The room was small and the bathroom tired, so another difference from the July visit. However the room cost for Geneva, was excellent, so guess one can't have it all!

Lovely friendly hotel. Amazing views from terrace and some rooms. Close enough to Geneva for day trips and only 15 minutes from airport. Front desk staff very helpful and professional. Restaurant offers light meals too. Wonderful walks in area as well as the opportunity to explore the small villages nearby. Room very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Shuttle service to airport is well managed and very helpful.

Stayed with a large group of friends. Very disappointed with the cost saving measures ie. plastic disposable cups for tea making facility in rooms, wall mounted soap gel and very thin bath towels. Restaurant staff had attitude problems and were continually having to be asked for items that had run out at breakfast. Reception staff were excellent as were the shuttle bus staff. Hard to recommend.

Was at this hotel with my wife for a family friends wedding, our party was quite large and we had about 10 people staying at this hotel. Rooms were large and decent enough, toilet facilities seem a little simple and old but very clean. No real complains about the hotel and front desk was quite friendly. The restaurant served excellent food I must say, however the staff needs to be educated on the arts of swiss service. A particular waiter named Choukri or Choufri was extremely rude to us and ignored many of our requests and talked to us in a very condescending way. The F&B manager needs to up their training for the staff regarding this aspect. All in all a decent hotel with a quiet environment.

My family and I recently went to Switzerland for a martial arts competition, and stayed for a week in this hotel in a twin and a triple room. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the airport to the hotel, and it takes around 15 minutes each way. It is very useful as there is a train station in the airport and it costs around 6CHF for a return to Geneva from there. When we first arrived the shuttle was gone and we had to ring the hotel to bring it back, but it wasn't too bad and the driver was very nice. The hotel is extremely well-kept! The general areas are always clean and tidy and there is free wifi throughout the hotel (instructions on how to connect are in the foyer and the rooms). The rooms themselves are spotless. They are cleaned and stocked up every day by the staff, who do a very good job. In the rooms there is heating and air conditioning, and the window opens too (although quite a few of the rooms face the motorway so it can be loud with the window open). Most of the views are lovely as there are mountains all around, but some rooms do overlook the carpark which is a slight downside. There is also a hairdryer, glasses, a kettle and a TV (the kettle is equipped with coffee and tea and such). The TV has many channels in different languages and there is a guide as well. The only downside to the rooms is that there is not very much space to store clothes. There is a small wardrobe and bedside tables but we had trouble in our triple room finding enough shelves for our clothes! The bathrooms are wonderful too: great shower (most rooms don't have baths but some may do) and the towels are changed regularly. The facilities in the hotel are pretty inclusive: there are conference rooms, business rooms, a sauna, dojo and gym as well. Unfortunately we had a problem with the sauna and dojo as the staff said it had been "booked" for the next three years by a man who was staying in the penthouse suite! This was a major problem as a lot of people needed to use the sauna to prepare for the martial arts competition. However this was eventually sorted after we spoke to the man in question and he agreed to let us use the sauna. The restaurant in the hotel serves delicious food that is very well presented. It may seem ridiculously expensive but it's not: the prices are the same all over Switzerland, it is very expensive to live in. Judging from previous reviews there was a problem with the free breakfast, but it is in fact very good! Most of the previous reviewers seemed to have gone to the wrong breakfast room: there are two. One is for large groups and has a selection of pastries, cheese and cereal, as well as juice and coffee and the like. This must have been where everyone was going. The other breakfast room is for everyone else and is right at the back of the main restaurant (in the "l'Observatoire") and serves eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, yoghurt as well as pastries. This is not free ONLY if you sit in l'Observatoire!! If you take food and sit in the main restaurant you will not be charged! I think this is where the confusion is. The only downside to this hotel is the staff. Most seem friendly and helpful when you first say hello, but if you have an issue of any kind they become rather less helpful. The sauna situation took a long time to resolve because the staff originally refused to tell us why we couldn't use the sauna and then proceeded to try and direct us to one in France! It was only when we requested they then pay for us to get to and use said sauna (because we specifically requested the sauna before we came to the hotel and they said it would be free) that they actually mentioned the man renting the sauna. Another issue we had was with the shuttle bus one night. We went out to dinner in Geneva and rang on the way back to request a shuttle bus at around 10:10pm (bearing in mind the shuttle bus runs until 11pm). The receptionist on the phone said the shuttle bus was already at the airport, but we wouldn't be there for another 10 minutes so we asked them to hold the shuttle bus, to which they said they would try, and if we missed it then they said to ring and they would send it out again. We got to the airport to find we had missed the bus, so we rang (like they told us to) and they said the driver had left for the night! This was at 10:30pm so there was no reason why we should not have had the free shuttle bus! Instead we had to pay over 60CHF for a taxi to take us back to the hotel, and when we asked at reception about the bus they refused to refund us or even apologise that the bus driver had left half an hour early! We were not pleased at all at the attitudes of the staff. However, other than the staff's unhelpfulness the hotel itself is a really great hotel. Just make sure you don't have any issues as they won't be resolved!

located outside of Geneva but the hotel offer courtesy bus to and from airport where we got a train into the city and for Switzerland prices the fair was very reasonable although it's a very shot trip. The staff are friendly and helpful, Room was small but very clean and modern with big comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities, wonderful shower, English TV. Be aware there are different grades of breakfasts the express is just cup of tea/coffee and croissant, however I think this was reflected in the price we paid but I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Not enough staff at breakfast. Congested breakfast room layout. Coffee machine erratic. Room safe broken. Internet access unreliable Pool freezing (August!) and concrete surround rough and painful. Airport shuttle service much appreciated.
