Best Western Chambersburg

I stayed in the hotel saturday , november 11. The positive, the room was clean the bed and pillows were good. The bad, i was put in room 145, that is next to a mechanical room, rite after i checked in about 8:30 pm i heard a loud noise in the room, it happened about every 10 minutes and went on for about 15 seconds, it sounded like an air compressor, i went back down to the front desk and said something, he told me there was no other room available but he would have someone fix it, i went out to dinner and came back still the same noise, about 3:30 am i went back down to the desk there was a different man there told him about the noise and i had recorded it on my phone, he listened to it he said someone would be back shortly and he would have them take care of it, by 8am the noise is still going off, i decide to check out, there were 2 women at the front desk now, i asked to speak to a manager i was told none was available they both looked like they could not care less that i had a problem, i have called the hotel once on sunday 11-12-2023, twice on monday 11-13-2023, twice on tuesday 11-14-2023, asking to speak to a manager each time, was told every time they are not available but leave my name and number and they will call me back; i have not had a call back, i guess they just don't care, I understand unexpected things can happen in a hotel, but the indifference shown by anyone i spoke to there is appalling, i guess they all learn from management

The place was clean and well cared for. The breakfast was tasty and hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable and we will definitely stay there again in the near future.We travel through this area regularly and this is one of the better places to stay and stay within our budget!

Stayed here for 2 nights while helping my daughter move. Was so tired the first night I didn't notice the filth. I did notice that the first bed had a large stain so I took the bed with a hole in the sheet. The next morning I took a hand towel & shampoo & tried to clean the arms of the desk chair. That towel was probably permanently stained black! Took another towel & covered the seat of the chair. When my daughter arrived to stay the 2nd night since all her belongings were on the truck, she was horrified!!!! At least we had a clean bath tub & a clean toilet. Towels that I hadn't used to clean were clean enough for me but daughter used paper towels we had in our vehicle. We knew not to stay at the I-81 exit at Route 316 since they are filled with long term rentals (druggies) but thought the Walker Road hotels would be okay. I have been a Best Western Gold Member for at least 20 year & this is the worst Best Western I have ever been in. (Maybe worst hotel ever) For over $100 during the week you would think it would have been better than this!?!?!? I travel a lot since being retired & most hotels send a follow-up after check-out wanting to know how things went. This is first time I have not received a follow-up.

We came for a family reunion at Caledonia State Park. My husband, daughter and I (from VA) shared a room for two nights. And, a cousin from NYS spent the night of the reunion here and left very early the next day. This motel is very convenient to I81 and only about 7 miles from the park. There are stores (including Aldi's and Target) and several restaurants within less than a mile from this hotel.

I cannot say enough about the condition of this Best Western. Everything was spotless and well appointed. We stayed on consecutive Friday nights and the rooms, lobby, hallways, and all common areas were very clean and well maintained. The staff was fantastic and very courteous. On our 2nd night, we had an issue with noisy neighbors and, Nida (the staff member that was on duty) handled the situation like a true professional. She communicated with the noisy offenders, and also moved us to a different room away from the issue. It was wonderful to be treated with respect and professionalism. She was able to turn a bad situation into a comfortable one for us, and for that we are extremely grateful. We will definitely stay here again if future trips bring us into the area.

This hotel was super clean and well taken care of. Very good location right off of I-81. Room was spotless, and the staff was awesome. If we visit this area in the future, this place will be our first choice!

upon checking in the desk clerk was not friendly acting like it was an imposition to help us. I had pre-registered and had requested an extra towel and washcloth for our room. When I inquired if they had done this, she replied that she did not know and made no effort to check.

Good rooms, comfortable beds. POOR/Rude Staff service, Poor breakfast choices/variety. Many offered items were Not made available for the paying customers. Great location to restaurants (McDonalds for breakfast) close to highway.

Why put construction workers next to regular people? This crew were up at 5:30am - and so were we. Then the illegal dog on the other side started to bark. No sense in going back to sleep. I called the front desk who then called the room. The workers response was that they were leaving in 5 minutes. too little, too late. We lost 2 hours of sleep. I talked to the desk and requested compensation only to be told that the manager would have to call and discuss. Well, guess what, no call, no compensation. I doubt we will stay again as we are still waiting to the manager to reach out. Next time, put construction workers at the end of the hallway, away from regular guests.

This place is not up to the standards of Best Western. Room was not thoroughly cleaned (coffee machine & fridge dirty) mattress was bumpy and felt like it was jumped-on (kept rolling to the center), poor lighting in hallways and room. The reviews online were not describing this hotel!!

My friends and I decided to attend church near Gettysburg and Chambersburg is our halfway meeting point, due to our scattered residence. I travel often in Ministry and so I usually pick the hotels (and the bill) because I belong to many of the rewards programs and I enjoy the perks. Negatives: Laundry Area: Please, please do not waste your time doing laundry at this hotel! Firstly, there are only 2 machines (1 washer; 1 dryer). Very, very old machines. Top down, quarter fed (x4/load). Secondly, the water doesn't get hot. Thirdly, It completely avoids rinsing! It literally says 'rinse' (after you open/close lid to get it to change cycle) but trust me, you can hear and see absolutely no rinsing occurs. I mean it was so sad that I had to laugh while I washed my dresses twice. Second time, I put through the complete wash cycle MINUS the detergent, just so they would be rinsed from the soap and dirty water! Rooms: All beds massively high off the floor, even in the mobility rooms. Difficult to reach for elderly, those who are disabled and also short people (my friend is 5'9" and her feet did NOT touch the floor, while trying to sit on the edge of the bed... that should tell you a lot). Beds not that comfortable. Several 'sink' holes. Breakfast: The muffins were about the only edible food. Milk served in pitcher, instead of carton, which isn't safe nor sanitary. Most people prefer sealed items. Positives: Front desk guy, extremely nice and jovial. Very accommodating to me.

As platinum members of the BW loyalty program, we always look first to BW properties. This property has weaker reviews, but I was hoping it would be fine. Issues: - external noise: half the rooms face I-81, maybe 50 yards away; even with the noisy air system running in the room all night, traffic noise was enough to ruin our sleep. - internal noise: the walls are thin enough to hear quiet conversations next door - untruthful desk clerk: I asked for a quiet room away from the highway noise and the clerk said he'd do that; however our room faced the highway; when I saw the room I went back to the desk, but there was a lineup of others checking in so I didn't wait to ask for a different room - hallway smell: strong smell of spicy food throughout the hallways - room smell: spicy food smell in our room, but was alleviated by running the air system - worn room: the room looked like it hadn't been updated in many years; notably the trimmings around the box spring were worn and frayed - lack of recognition at check-in: as platinum members, we are always recognized and thanked, and usually receive a bonus, and sometimes have our name & initial on a "thank you" board; I showed my loyalty card at check-in but the clerk didn't look at it or respond - substandard breakfast: the buffet had most of the usual items (scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins, etc.), but was missing the usual bowl of fresh fruit - no reply to my survey response: I completed the usual "how was your stay" survey several days ago; many properties reply within a couple days with thanks or to respond to any concerns; so far no reply from this property. As for positives, the shower worked well and the bed, while quite firm, was acceptable.

We were traveling to Florida and it was conveniently located Close to the highway . We have a small dog and this hotel allows pets. The staff was very friendly. The room was very disappointing in the cleanliness.

With so many reviews of unclean hotels in the area this was a good choice and the price was right. Average breakfast. Slow wifi. Well lit parking and felt safe. Will stay here again. Checkin and service was adequate.

Upon arrival we requested a quiet room. The gentleman at the front desk was somewhat unpleasant and instead we were given a first floor room close to the breakfast area...the opposite of what one would expect for a quiet room. He assured us it would be quiet so we took the key. Once we were in the room it reeked of stale tobacco smoke and had a non functioning in room heating/air conditioning unit. We returned to the front desk, advised him of the problem and he reluctantly and with a surly attitude gave us another room. We would have departed and looked for another hotel at this point but we had pre-paid online and could not get our money back. We then went to the second room and it was borderline acceptable. The room was grungy and grey. The furnishings were old and required updating. The worst part were the mattresses on the two queen beds. They were old, saggy and quite uncomfortable. By the time we realized this upon going to bed it was too late to request a different room or just leave the hotel. We are regular travelers and this was our worst hotel experience in many years. We stayed in another pre-paid Best Western the following evening in Columbia SC and feared what we would find however it was excellent, the opposite of what we encountered in the Chambersburg BW.

I love staying here when visiting my daughter at Wilson College. Its close to campus and loads of shopping / dining places. Easy access. Always available free parking. Pet friendly. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Very comfortable and quiet. Safe location.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Close to historic points. Close to supermarkets, restaurants, etc. The hotel is very well maintained, clean inside and out. Rooms very clean, good size. Clean bathroom. Wifi worked. Breakfast with good items. Safe and quiet. Great place to stay

staff was very very helpful and knowledgeable about the area food was plentiful and hot we couldn;t ask for any better service then what we received at 8 best western hotels. we travel alot and will be using these hotels on my trips. any issue i had if it was small or big staff handled everything and was very accomdating to our needs.

A++++ Establishment! Front desk and all staff were very polite. Great prices for a clean room with a hot tub, breakfast and close to Gettysburg. The area outside was well kept, the inside was very clean, smelled good and our room was clean. Slept great! Good location, close to restaurants, shopping and 30 mins from Gettysburg. If you want a peaceful stay out of the congestion of Gettysburg, stay at this Best Western in Chambersburg, you won't be sorry!

Hotel needs a little TLC, but we were only stopping to sleep, so it was ok, and the price was right. I don't expect the Ritz for $111/night, so I couldn't be too disappointed. There are a few restaurants, and a gas station close by as well. Hotel is very close to the highway, so it was a bit noisy. Breakfast is included, nothing special, but it had the usual fare (eggs, pancakes, bagels etc.). $15 pet fee. The beds were clean and comfortable.

From working in a Best Western, I was expecting better than what I seen. If you could get the stains under control I would definitely give a 10 but with all the stains on the sheets and towels brings uncertainty of how cleanliness your hotel is.

when arrived at my room was flooded at check in , and they would not give me another room because they said there hotel was sold out, or comp me a another room a different hotel , poor service ,old and nasty!!!! , this hotel needs training in customer service and cleanliness

We were very satisfied with BW in Pa. Everything was clean and in working order. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Internet was fast with no lag times. We highly recommend this BW! The internet service was fast with no lag time.

This is a great place to stay. We always stay here when traveling north. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean. It is conveniently located right off the highway. It is quiet and a very good place to tay.

From the time we checked in to be sent to an unclean room that reeked of tobacco smoke till after we left and got home and discovered we had left a valuable item and it had been tossed in the garbage. We were treated as if our business was not important to management, therefore this is the first time in traveling literally around the world in the last 50 plus years we rate this motel the worst place we have ever stayed.

Pro: lobby was new and very clean/staff hard to understand(accent) but was attentive/hallway carpet newish/room flooring new and was very clean/bedding newish.CON: now to the bathroom...GROSS as tub had yellow stains down shower walls and door knob didnt work. DID NOT SHOWER!!

Had to travel alone for school. I was very scared. Check in was quick, my room was clean, my bed looked & felt brand new, price was amazing, fridge big enough for meal prep, and quiet! I felt safe. I'll be going back in 3 months for school & I'm staying at the same place! Read the reviews, tested it out, good results, here's my review for you!

I was put in the last room down a dark hallway where the people across the hallway and two doors up opened their doors to watch me walk down the hallway. They kept going out the door at the end of hallway. I checked in at 5pm and left at 3 am but I didn't sleep because they kept going in and out of the door. I wouldn't go there if it was the last place to stay.

Not a flashy posh hotel, but exceeded expectations. We needed a clean, comfortable place to sleep and grab a quick breakfast. Advertised continental breakfast and had hot options, as well. Basic essentials at the gym. Basic and to the point. We paid a very reasonable rate during a busy time of year, and we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend.

This hotel must have changed owners. It's no longer welcoming and friendly. The rooms were dirty and breakfast was cold. I really liked this place, especially for the price but will probably not return.

We have stayed at this hotel several different times. It is clean, accommodating. We had to use the mobility access room. It was the best: walk in shower, large bathroom, and a lot of room to maneuver with a walker. Thank you.

Easy off Rt 95. Clean and full breakfast options. It is close to Rt 95 so you hear road noise. Many Restaurant options near by. We had noisy neighbors but if we stayed again, hopefully that wouldn't be the case.

The owner is a shyster! He tried to upsell room and then did not honor price at check-in when we checked out! Will never stay there again! We heard other customers complaining about lost reservations, room prices compared to advertised price on the BW website for this hotel, etc. Extremely rude and disrespectful.

Excellent, would recommend to anyone looking for exceptional value. We stayed earlier at a Super 8, which was disgusting and were apprehensive when we arrived. But we were pleasantly greeted, sped off to an extremely clean, spacious, warm room exceeding our expectations. Breakfast buffet was wonderful with eggs, bagels, waffles, coffee, tea, juice, butter, syrup..everything clean & orderly. Would go back there without hesitation. Large TV in breakfast area. WiFi access efficient as well.

We stop at this hotel at least 6 times a year travelling from NY to VA. It is the half way point and we stop here on every trip. It is a comfortable, clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had reserved a queen room, but the only one they had was near the ice machine which I guess is noisy,, so we were upgraded to a king room because of our diamond select status. The room was spacious and clean. The one complaint is that the wifi doesn't work well. It is quirky and tends to come in and out..

No COVID precautions in place. Actually had multiple rooms in our wing being used as party rooms by young migrant workers ( vaccinated???);Doors propped open, patrons drinking , no masks being worn. This in the peak of the omicron variant where airborne particles stay in the air for hours. The emergency door at the end of the hall was unlocked and total access from the outside. This hotel does not deserve to be in the BW chain of hotels.

My family and I enjoyed a great breakfast at a clean hotel. Hotel is conveniently located just off I-81. Have stayed at this hotel in the past and will continuing staying here. Great value for the stay.

Located in an extremely busy retail shopping area and right next to the noisy Interstate. Luckily for us, our room did not face the Interstate. Room was okay, surprisingly it had a hot tub in it. I wasn't planning on using it and besides it did not look too clean. Halls were dark. Breakfast looked very UNappetizing to say the least. Lucky for us there was a fantastic diner, Trojan Diner, nearby. If you are looking for an area that has plenty of shopping and restaurants, then this is the place for you. I prefer a quieter area. Parking fills up fast. It appears that a lot of contractors stay here. The parking lot and front part of the lobby entrance floor is riddled with mud.

D)Told at check in Breakfast was scheduled to start at 6:00AM, At 6:02AM breakfast area had no lights and was not set up. So………….I turned the light on and tried to get coffee. Hostess came out and turned lights out! Said something I couldn't understand. I turned lights back on and went back to get coffee. Turned out that coffee was weak and old, hot water for my wife's tea was only warm and OJ was mostly water. When the hot items finally came out, the eggs were barely eatable and the sausage were rubbery. Hostess had no name tag and refused to give us her name. E) I was told manager would be in at 9:00 or Maybe 10:00 . This was unfortunate because there was an altercation in the breakfast room that was a safety issue. Manager could have helped moderate, F)When we tried to check out, there was no one at front desk. She was outside on cigarette break. There were no hotel business cards for manager, she never asked how our stay was, and would not give her name.

Stopped here on our way from Florida to New York. We were very pleased with everything: the room was clean as were the grounds, very comfortable beds, pet friendly, good location, and we felt very safe. This is a nice place to stay. The only (minor) drawback were guests sitting right outside the entrance smoking.

For the price it was definitely worth it. The mattress was old, but at least not hard as a board. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was very good. It is one level only, but a view was not important.

The hotel was good and appeared clean except for the plastic bag with an empty yogurt and metal spoon laying on the tv stand. The room had a funky smell when we first entered but I guess we got use to it. We did hear some dogs barking in the middle of the night that woke us up. This was the first hotel that we stayed at on this trip that offered breakfast. They had a full open breakfast and it was so much better than the grab bag crap that so many of the other hotels are still passing out. The staff we encountered were friendly and our stay went smooth.

We came here to go to an event in Greencastle so this location was convienent or us. We were greeted by the general manager an she was nice and friendly. The lobby is nice but had a slight smell of curry which got stronger as it got later. Luckily the rooms did not smell like that. Our room was clean and fairly comfortable. The bed at first seemed like it would be uncomfortable but when I layed down it proved to be comfortable. My biggest complaint was the lighting in the room. It was very dark unless you opened the curtain. We used the pool which was very clean and fun to use except the access is off the parking lot. Breakfast was pretty good, it was a full breakfast which included waffles. I liked this except they had nothing to add to waffles, my suggestion add whipped cream and maybe chips to it as an option in addition to syrup. There are stores and places to eat nearby. Overall we had a good stay and I probably would return if we were in the area again.

Thank you so much for the CLEAN accommodations and delicious meal! We were placed on the quiet side of the hotel and did not hear any noise - was all very quiet and enjoyable. The workers were very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this hotel.

Just stopped overnight on a 2 day travel trip. Close to highway and food. Clean comfortable rooms. Staff friendly - quick in and out. Good value for what we needed. The price was very reasonable at just over $100 for a one night stay.

Easily accessible from the highway, but we didn't have the highway noise. Our room was very clean. The hotel was busy but not noisy. Had a nice quiet and comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast items were hot and fresh. Refilled as necessary. Check in/out was relatively quick and staff were very nice. Gas stations, food and shopping are close by. Sidewalks at the entrance of the property are a plus for anyone who likes to walk.

The hotel was a delight to visit as it is following all of the current COVID guidelines. The space was immaculate, both lobby and room. We look forward to staying again when we return from Tennessee. We have been loyal BW members since 2007.

Elizabeth at the front desk was SUCH a great help and so pleasant! The room was quiet and comfortable after a long days work. Convenient location to so many amenities. Price was good. I would recommend to anyone and would not hesitate coming there again. Thank you Elizabeth!!!

I stay at the Best Western Chambersburg because it is convenient to my daughter who lives near by. Previous trips have been ok - except for the smell of curry in the hallways. This trip was awful. Most staff - not all - would act as if I was bothering them when inquiring about anything from the down internet to the replacement of light blubs in the room... was even funny when I couldn't wake up the front desk staff to ask about the breakfast.

Great spot to stay on our way to Massachusetts. We were checked in efficiently and everything we needed was in our room. Room was clean. We would use this stop again when travelling from South Carolina.

This is quite a notch above most of its competition in price/amenities. The room was updated not too far off. The room was clean enough. The pet fee is reasonable. The beds are great, which is hit or miss in lower priced limited service options. Thank you for keeping most of your breakfast running: anyone in that much fear of catching Covid during breakfast should reconsider traveling in the first place. No major issues and a convenient location back onto 81.

I stayed here twice. out. My first stay I would give it a 1 star. The second stay I would give it a 2 star. Was not much better! My first stay I walked in and the hotel immediately smelled of curry and terrible food in the lobby and hallways. It is all one floor hotel. My room was very nice but the TV and internet did not work. When I called the front desk the older female sighed and said for me to try again and follow the directions. I said I couldn't even get to that point. I then got out of my room, walked to the lobby where she was watching TV or something in the corner. I stood at the counter and she CLEARLY saw me and didn't get up until she was "ready" to do so. I am sorry if I am interrupting your TV time. I told her I was not pleased with her attitude and she laughed and turned around and went back to her TV show. The next morning, I came down to breakfast. I only got coffee and a muffin that was wrapped. I did not trust the breakfast since it was during COVID and the Breakfast female person had no mask on, could hear her breathing and coughing, and had no gloves on. NO THANKS. Oh, speaking of that, NONE of the staff had masks on either and there was no sneeze guards to properly social distance. Late at night (Past 11pm) My room was near the outside pool which was open with a HUGE amount of grade school kids and some older parents swimming. I couldnt believe that. Is that social distancing? Every other hotel I have been at the pool area is closed down. I should honestly report the hotel for the breakfast and ignorance for ignoring PA guidelines during COVID. Best Western company should be ashamed of this property. I will NOT be returning.

We stayed over the past weekend and had no issues. Shower is nice and hot, breakfast buffet was available, masks were worn at your discretion and it wasn't crowded. The beds are super comfy and room stayed nice and cool. We have yet to stay in a Best Western and have complaints. The front desk was super knowledgeable and helpful, gave us extra towels when needed! The only downside was that we didn't get to use the laundry due to the washer eating quarters. All in all a great stay! We are constantly on the go with travel ball, so it's nice to find a hotel that suits our needs and keeps us comfortable!

I am a loyal Best Western customer. Have been for over ten years. Have very little problems at their hotels, but this one was different. Our first clue - dead ants all over the window sill. Hundreds of dead ants. Black piles littering the sill. I am glad the hotel took the initiative to kill the pests, just wish they would have finished the work and cleaned them up. It was late, we were tired, and just wanted sleep. So we did not request a room change. The ants were dead, afterall, and wouldn't bother us. Next up - the thin walls. While trying to fall asleep, we heard the television next door to us. Shortly after, we discovered the room on the other side was hosting some boisterous and giggling teenage girls. The walls in this hotel are paper thin. Seriously. You can hear so much of what goes on in your neighbor's room. On a plus note, I called the front desk at 11:00 pm to complain about the noise and they did take care of it. Both rooms became quiet. When entering the hotel we had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke. Other customers were standing right at the main doors smoking, not making for a warm welcome. Finally, we were greeted at the front desk by the attendent on her cell phone. She was texting someone. After a few moments, she looked up and asked us to wait a minute. She continued to text and then checked us in. It was only about a two minute wait, but definitely not putting the customer first. Simply too many problems with this hotel.

Room was very comfortable and clean. I found the staff friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers. The hotel location was close to I- 81. The bagged lunch that was offered to replace the breakfast was much appreciated. .

Cardboard walls, bring earplugs with you. We did not expect hearing neighbours sneezing at this hotel chain. The rest is the same as any other low class highway environment hotel-motel, ie breakfast, gym, etc

A great place to stay if you are travelling with a pet. Nice grass area to walk your dog. The smell of curry just about knocked us over in the hallway and smell started to come into our room. Nice fellow at the front desk gave me a can of air freshener. Owners live there. Room was comfortable and clean, little older and needing Reno soon.

I always look for a Best Western on my trips. They are always clean and well maintained. This particular hotel did not let me down. Receptionist was nice and helpful. Got me checked in quickly and with a smile even though it was late. Other hotels often are tired looking and get irritated when you pop in after 11pm or so. She was all smiles and well rested. Thank you!

Great location. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance to shops and resaurants. Room was spaciuos and very clean. Bed was very comfortable which afforded a very good night's sleep. Good variety of breakfast foods. Overall very satisfied.

Shower was Good . Bed was a little Soft . Very Noisy can hear Traffic from Interste lots of trucks as its across street from Flying j Gas Bar . Breky was Very Good . Ice Machines lousy . Staff was vwery Helpfull .

We have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times a year for the past few years. It is a good halfway point in our trip. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that we usually stay in cold weather and there is no heat in the bathrooms. It is close to a lot of dining choices and easy on off of Route 81. Will definitely stay here again.

Easy access, close to highway, many choices of restaurants for supper, clean, comfortable, breakfast was complete and the price is affordable. Only stayed one night but still recommend this hotel very highly

Handicap room is NOT! Bed so high anyone in wheelchair would never get into unless you're very tall and have good standing abilities to transfer. Shower is accessible with shower chair but no place to set soap or shampoo. Beds high for short person, hard to get in. Found out at check out that can request a step stool.

All ok as usual, I stop there every year on my way to Florida and people are nice, it is super clean, easily acessible once we exit from I81, continental breakfast is very good, a good variety of choice, we love this place, it is also quiet, we will come back next year

They took excellent care of me. I was dealing with the loss of my mother and traveling to get back to Michigan. Kris the night clerk even allowed me to borrow her phone charger as I forgot mine. I would definately use Best Western Again.

The best western in Chambersburg provided a fine accommodation for a very reasonable price. The room was clean and well kept. All the expected amenities were there and in good order. Well worth the stay.

The Chambersburg Best Western is a great value for the price. Very nice, well-maintained hotel. A good night's sleep on a very comfortable bed, nice room, decent breakfast, pleasant staff. Good location to the highway.

I was very surprised that this Best Western had Paper thin walls. All rooms are on one floor but the staff can do nothing about it. One should not have to compete with noises in the room with the TV on. It is important to have a goods night sleep for me. As such i can not recommend this facility to others. other factors such as staff professionalism, breakfast and cleanliness of rooms is very good. however the walls need renovation between one room ans another.

Room could use a little TLC but was OK, staff was great, fix a problem whit the reservation as quick as possible. Good location but parking lot was a little tight could have used more handicap parking.

The ratio quality price is excellent. Breakfast is very good with very nice employees. There is a pool in summer. and many restaurants at walking distance from the hotel. WiFi is very good and fast. It's located just at the exit on I81. Many gas stations. Room was quiet at night and comfort was very good too, it was 88 degrees on my arrival and 41 in the morning, but the room was at good temp.

Close to the highway and many restaurants in the area. Have used this motel many times over the years, had to stop because of standards and found a great improvement this stay. Bravo. Will certainly use again.

Nice hotel. Nothing fancy, but good value for the price. Clean and safe. Friendly staff. Even though it was pet friendly, it is still very clean. We experienced no issues at all - other than with the people checking in before us. They did not speak English well and were giving the poor desk attendant a difficult time and being quite rude. That's the only issue we had - check in took longer than it should have, but it was the fault of the people checking in and not the hotel.

This was the best Best Western experience that I've had in a long time. Everything was smooth. There was a porte cochere which was nice due ro the rain. Handicap room was available. Nice. I had been driving all day and the check-in was quick and easy.

We stopped here for an overnight stay on our way to upstate New York. The hotel is old and dated, but that didn't bother me much. The gentleman behind the front desk was friendly enough. The room had a musty smell and it seemed as if it wasn't prepared for our stay. I had to put the a.c. on and deordorize the room with lavender essential oil. That cleared up the mustiness. The worst part of this location is that there were guests who smoked. Ok, it's a disgusting habit. I should not be subjected to their second-hand smoke. They sat at the front entrance smoking and drinking. Definitely not for me, but we were already checked in. When I checked us out, I "complained" to the young woman at the front desk. She said there was nothing she could do. Well I can. Never come back, and that's exactly my plan. Would not recommend this place at all. Also, their "breakfast" consisted of outdated yogurt and stinky bacon, among other "food" items. This place was set in a non desirable part of town.

This is an older property. Located right next to the interstate. There is a small parking lot, and a very busy service road that you have to use getting in and out. They have interior doors. My room was clean and had a small flat screen tv, as well as microwave and fridge. The bed was comfortable and clean. The A/C worked okay, and not too noisy. The bathroom needs updating, but everything worked. Breakfast is served in the lobby. I was not the first one in , but when I did get there they were out of some items. The attendant said she was out of things. This was the first time I stayed here, so I don't know if this is a regular problem. There are several restaurants within walking distance for dinner.

Great place to stay off 81. We have stayed many times with nice food places and shopping nearby. Easy on/off from 81 with gas nearby. The staff is very pleasant and the complimentary breakfast is fantastic and starts at 6am.

An attentive staff, comfortable room and great breakfast! The only minor problem was the ice machine/beverage area in the hallway near my room where a periodical squeaking sound kept me awake at times.

My wife and I stayed there for one night on the way back home from visiting friends in the south. The room was nicely layed out with twin beds, 2 arm chairs, something to rest the luggage on and a nice sized TV. There were plenty of clean towels in the bathroom.

Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast had lots of options. Excellent location right off 81, near tons of shopping and restaurants. Very small outdoor pool, but it fit the bill on a hot weekend!

Another comfortable stay at a Best Western. Great location, service was outstanding. Close to restaurants. Hotel deserves high marks for layout, cleanliness, and staff. I recommend this property to all traveling in this area of the USA....

I am a frequent user of Best Western and this place was a SAD representation! Yes, they have been upgraded, but definitely on the cheap. and the room was cleaned in a very hit or miss manner. When the bathroom was upgraded, new floors and a tub insert were installed. yet the OLD, OLD small, low sitting commode was left... as was the LOW sink/counter. Our room lacked sufficient lighting and the perfect spot for one(next to the TV cabinet) was left vacant. There was a floor lamp stuck in a corner where the long mirror was installed... HOW it could be used is a guess. I needed to write a note to myself and found the note pad had been used by a prior guest as a coaster. Too bad the cleaning crew never noticed to replace it! And, breakfast was a HUGE disappointment compared to 'normal' BW presentations!

We almost always stay at Best Western hotels. We always stay at this one when we're in this part of Pennsylvania. The hotel staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. The hostess for the breakfast was friendly and the food was hot and very good. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had been at this hotel before back in August in 2015 to meet up with friends to visit the surrounding area and Gettsyburg. That trip was uneventful. This one started off badly. When we entered the room it smelled moldy and stale. My wife had severe coughing and asthmatic issues which required her to use her inhaler with minimal success. We needed an air purifier for the room to get rid of the allergens. Unfortunately the night desk clerk had no idea of what I was talking about. We had to go to target and buy an air purifier. Once we turned on the unit in the room, her allergies and coughing subsided. Our friends before we bought the air purifier remarked that the room was moldy. Also, the bathroom area sink drain was verrrrry slow and took forever to drain and the bath tub drain plug was loose and came out of the bathtub. Overall- I was very disappointed with this stay at Best Western.

Good & Safe Hotel and very good service just because it's close to the interstate highway, traffic noise gets in to the room my room was at the end and more close to the road, not sure if this is a problem in all the rooms

We usually stay at Best Western because we often travel with our dogs and like having the breakfast. This particular Best Western had a very good breakfast, comfortable bed, pleasant staff, was quiet and the price was the lowest we have paid in a long time. The area around the facility offered many options for dinner and shopping. All in all an excellent experience!

We had planned to stay with family but plans changed at the last minute and we found ourselves searching for a clean, comfortable room after 10pm on a Saturday night. We actually booked the reservation via Priceline and were satisfied with price. We pulled up and both thought it looked nice for less than $100/night. We were greeted by Greg and another man who was in training. They were both friendly and efficient. We explained to them that we discovered an ant problem in my mom's basement apartment and we made the decision to stay somewhere else until we could deal with it tomorrow. We inquired with Greg about the possibility of staying additional nights if needed and he assured us that if needed they would get us a good price for any additional nights and told us to talk with the front desk tomorrow. He also told us that he would indicate a late check out so we didn't feel rushed in the morning. We were given the keys and made our way to the room. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall size of the room and it was clean and well appointed. The shower felt amazing and it was nice to unwind while watching DirectTV. We ended up staying for a total of three nights and each morning we went to the front desk and were helped to obtain a great rate. We slept well - the beds are comfortable, the hotel is quiet and we were able to get good sleep, forget about what we had to deal with and it felt great. We would highly recommend!

We. were very pleased by this experience. A clean, attractive hotel, easily accessible;e from the highway (Route 81) with helpful, friendly staff and a good breakfast selection. Quiet rooms, despite being close to the highway.

As per usual Best Western has done it right again. We were greeted by a lovely lady who quickly checked us in. Our room was spotless and hubby was able to find his hockey game on the many tv channels offered. The bed was so cozy and comfortable and the air conditioning was not load and annoying so made for a great night's sleep Breakfast the next morning was lovely. Lots of choices both hot and cold...and what shoukd have been hot was very hot!! The breakfast lady came to each table to make sure everything was to everyone's liking...made you feel at home! Well done BW!!

We have travelled with our little dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) many times. We have stayed in Best Westerns in other places and never had a problem. This time, after we went to eat dinner on a nearby restaurant, we got a call to come back immediately to the hotel because “guests were complaining” re our dog. We boxed our dinner and left right away. As we left, restaurant staff told us the same thing happened to another couple one week ago. We got back to hotel and heard no barking. Of course, we know there may have been a couple of barks, but everyone knows that Cavaliers are a very quiet breed. The next morning when my husband complained, the manager did not apologize, and rudely said, “we are not a kennel,”. Shameful. Yes

The hotel was spotlessly clean (props to the housekeeping dept!). The room was very comfortable. The service was nice. The price was very good. No need to spend &40-50 more for a Marriott or whatever—stay here.

Convenient to highway and very clean. Staff is helpful in finding restaurant locations. The beds are not hard like a board that other chains use. Well lighted parking area. One of the nicest hotels that we stay in. Many shopping areas nearby.

I stay in Chambersburg, PA often because it is a good location to stop for my travels. Also, they offer Almond milk at breakfast that I like. Most places don't. A variety of restaurants are in the area and fueling stations are convenient.

We needed a place to stay with 2 dogs during our trip from FL to New England. The reservation staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and well maintained. Despite staying in the wing reserved for pets, never heard a sound all night. Slept great on a very comfortable bed. Would stay here again.

I brought my grandson's to visit my hometown for the first time. We stayed at the best Western and had a wonderful visit with friends and relatives. The boys enjoyed the pool, and everyone at this hotel we're very kind, friendly, and attentive.

Clean, spacious, well equipped room, towels and linens very good. Breakfast choices are good. Conveniently located close to the highway and close to a variety of restaurants. Only small issue was slow, intermittent, weak internet service in our room which apparently was not located close to the modem. Internet could be accessed in the lobby and breakfast area. Certainly would stay again on our next trip.

ask yourself before you stay, no greeting for Rewards, paid cash with no receipt, I had to ask, computer keyboard some keys were inop, and after being asleep was woken up to move my car, from where it was parked for over 6 hours, no signs or curbs said it was a loading zone and some dumpy red headed woman was calling the police,then changed her mind, if a Greg answers the phone hang up, he woke me and never said who he was, the manage who checked me in was nice and saw where I parked, if you want a ice room with loud traffic,and a clock that doesn't work, Greg would tell maintenance man the next day, and if sausage floating in grease turns you on, this place is a must see, maybe the worst BW ever! BTW nice rooms and good cable selection..

Great room for the money. Clean & quiet room. Easy on/off the interstate. Restaurant very close. Only problems were; > no information about gluten free options for breakfast. We were not allowed to see food packages. Other Best Westerns have gluten free pancakes that actually taste great! > Morning manager was smoking just outside the front door. We had to exit thru cloud of 2nd hand smoke. No a good last impression!

This BW is typical of most that we have used going to and from FL. The checkin and out is generally fast and easy. The rooms vary in size, Chambersburg king bed room is a larger room than many. Minor issues that we find are the heat/ AC is noisy and bathrooms aren't well heated. The included breakfasts have a good selection of offerings and are always clean and inviting. Critical thinks like good beds/ and bed linens and clean rooms made this stay comfortable.

We were heading home from a vacation in Florida and chose this as a stop along the way. Kim at the front desk was wonderful. She gave us info on area restaurants and we were not disappointed with her recommendation. Check in was quick, the room was large, and the breakfast that was included the next morning was very good. The property was well kept. Easy on and off from the highway. We would stay here again.

BW Chambersburg is first rate. The facility is clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff attentive. Breakfast options for every taste and high speed internet were amenities we enjoyed. The location is confidently to the interstate as well. We will happily return when our travel brings us back to the area.

This was my first time at this hotel and the service that I received could not be duplicated. Sarah is the most considerate and professional hotel manager I've ever dealt with. She is polite and took excellent care of everything I needed. I've never had service like this before and I will definitely return to this property so I can get it again. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The prices are fair. My only complaint was that the hotel is very close to the highway and the noise carries at all hours. But other than that, I was definitely satisfied and I would stay here again

We have stayed here several times on our way south. Clean, easy on and off the highway, decent breakfast and usually friendly staff. Close to several family style restaurants. Good value for the money

very comfortable and pretty. We had an overnight that was very cold--the room was warm and cozy and the bed was very inviting. The internet was fast and readily available--I had no trouble hooking up to it.

The whole motel is gloomy - dark,no music, no plants, little decoration - it is clean however.It's different from other BW motels - strange configuration - more expensive than other BWs while not up to the usual standards

Room was nice and clean. Hotel location is good but walls are paper thin. You could hear the tv next door and conversations too. Breakfast was fine and the beds are comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stopped here overnight while traveling to a family event. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and seems recently updated. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only reason I'd hesitate to stay here again is that it's a pet friendly hotel. I have nothing against pets, but being sensitive to cats and dogs, I don't wish to stay in a room that has previously been occupied by pets. I'm assuming they have a block of rooms for visitors with pets. The hotel is centrally located to restaurants and attractions, with easy access to the interstate.

Location is good for a one nighter off the 81 with good food choices nearby. Rooms are okay but just hope you don't get a snorer next door. We did and the sound was as if he was in our room. Beds are a little soft but that's a personal choice. Hotel is clean and the breakfast was average, normal fare. The highlight was the breakfast staff. We don't normally tip the breakfast staff but the one lady was wonderful. The price was right so I would consider to stay again.

The hotel is kinda small & in a crowded area but it's really clean & modern. Great, comfortable bed & great shower. Staff was very friendly. Fitness Center has dumbbells & a couple machines. O/door pool was closed. B/fast was amazing. Great hot selections & well stocked. Don't attempt to bring trailer here if you're truckin', there's a huge mt lot across from the rear of the Clarion Inn that I left my trailer at w/ no problems. Great experience. I would highly recommend! Be blessed - you & all your family.

This place is a convenient and clean place to stay on transit or for a few days...breakfast and internet are great and easily accessible....and lots of restaurants and businesses around...wonder why Exxon has closed their 2 locations nearby

Staff was not friendly or helpful. Rooms have a poor design with the bed being too close to the wall making it hard to get out. Breakfast ends at 9am and staff starts taking things down before closing. Air conditioner though a newer model was noisy. A newer building like this shouldn't have these issues.Stay at the brand new LQ next door. Don't take a room close to the highway. Very noisy!

This hotel was wonderful, especially for the price! The room was clean and spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable with four pillows per bed, check-in and out was a breeze, the staff was pleasant and cordial, the breakfast was good and offered the usual: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle makers (I believe that there were two but I didn't make a waffle so I can't be sure), juice, coffee, fresh fruit (bananas and apples), etc. I will definitely stay here again if my travels take me to Chambersburg.

We stayed here Sept 18, 2018. The hotel is very nice, beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean, as was the fridge. We did not take advantage of the free breakfast so l cannot comment. The hotel was quiet and comfortable and we would stay again.

This was the cleanest Best Western that I have ever stayed in! The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was good with more Options. High speed Internet. I still can't get over how comfortable the bed was and the sparkling appearance of bathroom.

On the 12th night of our current road trip we drove late and pulled in to this motel. The desk clerk was OK, and the room was OK. The TV didn't work, but it was late so it wasn't a big deal. In the morning, we couldn't get the TV fixed, so no news and weather for this day. Then we went to the breakfast room and head-on into disaster! The breakfast closed at 9 a.m., and we were there only about eight minutes early. There was very little food available, and a surly server told us we were too late! She even lied about the time, saying the clock was slow and it was after nine when the clock was actually a few minutes fast!!! No breakfast today either. I paid for TV and breakfast, but got cheated. This place desperately needs a manager.

Stayed here earlier this week. First, be sure to check where the ice machine is located in relation to your room, because if you're in room 136 you will be hearing it ALL night because it's 3 feet away and people use it at all hours. Additionally, this hotel allows people to take their ice buckets and drink alcohol and play loud music the parking lot like they're throwing a party between 12 am and 5am on a weeknight. Further, the front desk staff is incredibly rude and when you inquire about the noise or an issue they make no apologies or attempts to resolve it. Lastly , there were white hardened stains on the handles of the couch and all over the rug . Take that for what you will. I got no sleep and ended up having to take a nap in my car at 5 am to be somewhat coherent for the business I was in town for. This was honestly the most repulsive and disrespectful hotel I've been to in my life and I would advise you to sleep in your car (as I had to) because it's better than staying here , and at least that's free.

A good Best Western. Clean room, Lots of room in the bathroom. Close to good places to eat. they are very close to the local Harley Dealer ( if your a Harley rider). The cable in this best western was the best of our entire ride, we stayed at 6 BW on our trip.

This hotel was adequate - the room was large and well-appointed, and the bed was comfortable, which is the most important thing. The breakfast was plentiful and had lots of good options (but it ends at 9 - it would be nice if it could be open until 9:30 or 10 for later risers). However, I had an unfortunate experience with payment. When I checked in, I told the front desk person that I intended on paying for my 3-day stay in cash and offered to pay immediately. I also gave her a prepaid credit card to cover any incidentals. She told me it was not necessary to pay immediately, but that I could pay upon checkout. Upon return to my room after the first day, however, my room key would not work. I went to the front desk and was informed I had been locked out due to non-payment and had to pay upfront for the entire stay. Hello? That's exactly what I had offered to do upon check-in and was told it wasn't necessary! The whole thing was easily straightened out, but it was an unnecessary inconvenience.

Reservation made online. Upon arrival was promptly greeted. Check in was flawless. Room was a king. Plenty of room. Microwave and mini fridge worked well. Bed was comfortable. Hot water was plentiful. Breakfast offered nice options waffles, egg, bacon and variety of cold options. For one guest staying one night the facial bar of soap was adequate. As was the one set of towels. Checkout was quick.

My mother and I pulled over to sleep after driving 24 hours on July 26 2018. The front desk staff was extremely nice both at check in and check out. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean and we were able to get some sleep to finish our traveling. Would definitely recommend!

Popped in at 10 pm without a reservation and checked out the next morning. Room was comfortable. Check-in and -out was easy. Breakfast was not fantastic but included in the price. It was steamed eggs and sausage with choice of yogurts, cereals, muffins, etc. Slept well.

We stay in the Chambersburg area quite often and decided to give your location a try. First issue, check in time is 2pm, we arrived at 3:15pm, room not ready. Did some sightseeing, returned around 8pm. Room was nice upon entrance, king room with a whirlpool, clean. Next issue, toilet won't flush completely, maybe just a one time thing, go to bed. Third issue, next morning 7am someone is weedeating at our room window!!! Toilet still isn't flushing properly or at all! Report this to the front desk just to be told to wait for the manager to come in at 9am! Called customer service for BW to no avail and still waiting for a call back from the manager at the Chambersburg PA BW location. Very disappointed with Best Western!!! Unacceptable in all ways!!!

We were looking for a decent & clean room for a quick stay while on the road. We had been driving for 12 hours and were really tired. Chose this hotel based upon TA reviews. We were not disappointed. Rate was very reasonable ( $80/night). Check in was fast & friendly. Room was spacious & clean with some updates. Bed was super comfortable. This hotel is located within walking distance of some restaurants. After being in the car all day it was nice to take a short walk to dinner. We would stay here again. It was perfect for our needs.

We have stayed at this Best Western many times and never had a problem. This trip-when checking in the front desk person was short tempered. The room smelled like smoke(non-smoking room). We had 7 adults and two kids eating dinner in the breakfast area around 10--front desk lady came over and rudely told us we had to leave there were guest sleeping. We were not loud and would have left after eating-we just wanted to eat as a group. She also could of asked a little nicer. As we were going to leave she goes over to the trash can where we had put our trash and demanded that someone from our group take the trash out to the dumpster.

The room was clean, recently renovated (I love that Best Western is putting tile or wood floors in their renovated room instead of carpet!) and much less expensive than the surrounding hotels. The breakfast was really good and the staff were all very helpful and courteous.

My 2$10 dollar BW travel cards mysteriously disappeared at front desk after giving them to female clerk at front desk at arrival and told they were applied. The morning of check out they charged me full price. Noticed this in my car and returned to inquire . Guy at desk played a game like it's not there and finally said there is only $10. He said he will credit to me only to charge an extra $20. After replying to review of premises i wrote the manager female only to have nothing done .I was totally ignored. Problem was resolved only after complaining to Master card. Guy in next room was screaming into phone at 11:30pm. Complained to front desk and nothing was done , screaming went on till 1 am. Will never recommend this place.

Best Western continues to be a good value and a good choice. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room is always comfortable and clean. I cannot say how breakfast was at this hotel as we got on the road before it was available but usually at other hotels it is a very adequate breakfast.

Remote was difficult to operate/understand, but the front desk young lady was extremely helpful. The hot break fast was very good and the attendant was very helpful. The checkin and checkout were smooth and the clerks were great!

My wife and I where traveling home from our vacation and looking for a place to stop overnight. We came along this hotel and decided to stop. We were greeted at the door and able to get a room. The room was lovely, but the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. The wifi worked very well and the breakfast (free) was great. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent Hotel and Staff. Very caring staff and room was perfect. We switched to Best Western five years ago. best move ever. Their rewards program is also excellent. My wife and I loved the free upgrade.

You will hear everything your neighbors do and they will hear you. This is an older facility being run by an Indian family. WiFi was initially OK but as more people checked in, it became inadequate. A better WiFi system needs to be installed.

Love the free breakfast with bacon, sausage, etc. - and love the soft sheets this chain uses. I stay nowhere else. And the prices are always competitive. Always clean, the staff are always helpful and courteous. I'm a Best Western convert!

The receptionist slowly checked us into the best western. We were given a room on the ground floor. The room was not “homey”. It was clean and a good size. The bathroom was clean and a decent size as well. The tv and A.C./heater worked well. The breakfast in the morning had a large assortment of options.

Best Western hotels are always clean, great beds, comfortable stay.... This hotel meets the BW standards.Breakfast is minimal but acceptable. Coffee is great. Service is good too, everyone helpful. Recommend!

Pleasant staffing, rooms are nice sized and clean. They're located on a convenient side road with easy access to the interstate , shopping and dining if you're just passing through and easy access to the town if your business is in Chambersburg It only took me 25 minutes to Gettysburg

We had a comfortable stay at this Best Western location while returning to Virginia the weekend after Thanksgiving. I booked the room when I was about an hour away from the destination by using the toll free Best Western number. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival, found the room to be clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious, especially the biscuits and gravy.

On our way home to Canada at the end of 2 week vacation. Hotel staff was excellent, friendly and kind. Room was very well appointed, all linens were in good condition. The hot breakfast looked very good although we were not abke to stay to enjoy. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here a year ago, and could manipulate the ventilation system so the fan ran all the time and provided white noise. Could not do that this time. I could actually hear the person in the next room snoring, not to mention coughing periodically and talking at 5:30 a.m.. Additionally, there was lots of noise in the hall that came in under the bottom of the door. Sleep is the first requirement of a hotel/motel, and I slept very poorly. And will avoid this place in the future.

We arrived at the LQ next door, w/o a reservation but we weren't worried since we were. “ gold “ status members . Nay nay said the desk clerk/mngr, can't help you. Maybe you can try back in 5/6 hrs. Then we stumbled into Best Western next door and met KRISTI ! She was was polite, professional and very concerned for our welfare. Also a thank you to C D Patel for such a warm welcome. We had a very pleasant stay , great room , excellent breakfast. Leaving we realized anywhere we stay at LQ, there is probably a BW nearby, our new “ go to “ place.

We always go to Best Western. We know we will get good service, comfy beds and overall comfort. We are rewards members and my husband is a veteran. They treat us very well! This time we got a goodie bag!

A very spacious, well equipped handicap-access room with roll-in shower, clean and comfortable. A diverse breakfast available; coffee any time. Easy access from interstate. Have stayed here many times in our travels.

Very well maintained older inn --very nice rooms-nice in room hot tub--plenty of hot water.. Inn is in a great location to visit Gettysburg. Lots of nearby resturants-- Easy on and off to I-81.Very nice staff. Good breakfast..Plenty of parking..Felt safe at this hotel.

This is a nice, one-story Best Western. The outside of the hotel is nothing to write home about, but inside, the lobby and rooms were spacious and very clean. My bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, there was plenty of hot water in the shower, the towels were good, and while the TV was a little difficult to figure out, there was an OK channel selection. Though the telephone representative described a "continental breakfast," which to my mind means Danish and doughnuts, the hotel offered a full, hot breakfast, as good as any Best Western.

We enjoy stopping here when we travel north. We can walk to restaurants- when it is light. Avoid rooms on the road side . They can get very noisy, particularly with trucks on 81, The breakfast are constantly improving.

The room was very clean, but there was some kind of dryer or loud machine that ran a few times overnight in the room next to me. The guys at the desk let me know about it, but with no other rooms available I had to take it. And, the room wasn't discounted any for a problem they fully knew about. If you know of a permanent issue then the room should be cheaper permanently too!

Stayed one night traveling south. Clean room but lacked lighting and was noisy in the early hours with doors slamming. Breakfast was fine with enough options to satisfy most tastes. Staff was friendly..

quick trip to town from out of state for a vehicle purchase. we needed one quiet night's lodging with dining within walking distance. checking in and out was easy. even with the nearby freeway, our room on the back side was absolutely quiet. staff was professional and courteous. breakfast was average. would stay again without hesitation.

This hotel provided a comfortable and clean place to sleep. Parking, easy access. Check in was quick and easy. breakfast was wonderful, constantly restocked and also supplied with Soy Milk and Almond milk for those with allergies was a huge blessing. Beds were comfortable and no trace of any bugs of any kind. Bathroom was clean with new shower head. a great hotel.

We were looking for a good place to stay for several nights within our budget. The location and price were good and we felt comfortable due to the Best Western name. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the friendliness of staff was exceptional. The breakfast was about what we expected for the price - sufficient choices, hot and cold with scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon and a waffle maker. The attendant was extremely helpful and attentive. We were very pleased; no complaints at all.

This hotel could use some upgrades to it's interior to freshen it up, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The small pool looked nice although I did not have time to use it. The breakfast increased the value. The desk clerks are not well informed or helpful, especially at night. Okay for a quick stay. I wouldn't use it for a vacation.

I had no reservations so took my chances and I had a great experience. Even had them book for me at another Best Western at my next destination. Joined their REWARDS program. Great breakfast, very nice and clean room! Just stay away from the shelf stable bacon at the morning breakfast, unless you like rubbery bacon.

Stopped around 8 on a Tuesday night when heading south. The front desk person was very pleasant and the check in experience was very efficient. There are a number of restaurants of various types close by and convenient. The rooms have been re-done recently and found them to be fine for an overnight stay. Room was clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was decent, Easy on and off route 81. Would certainly stay here again when traveling.

The check in at the hotel was easy and quick. It was closely located to dining, and other stores you might need. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and they served a wide variety at their complementary breakfast. We would stay again.

We are very satisfied with this Best Western. The room was very clean and the best was very comfortable. It was only about half an hour away from Gettysburg where we had come from after the annual bike week. We were surprised that hot breakfast was offered. We will definitely stay here again.

Booking with Expedia and check in @ the motel was easy and quick. The room was clean, bed comfortable, water was hot, water pressure was fine, towels white and fluffy. We were very pleased with our stay, no complaints. The hotel is newly renovated and there is an outdoor pool. We stayed here because we were in a softball tournament nearby. Perfect with breakfast beginning at 6:30am, and the AC was working great on the hot day. Our room was comfortable and perfect for our family of 4 stay.

Easy to find hotel and close to anything you would need. good breakfast selection in the AM. we were very happy with the comfort and cleanliness. we chose to stay here because of its close proximity to Gettysburg, and were not disappointed.

Although a late night arrival, desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Already had reservation information ready for us expecting our arrival. Lady in charge of breakfast was very nice and pleasant. Nice room and very clean.

Nice hotel and a good value. We had a king bed suite on the first floor and it was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The free breakfast was good. Location was great and it was only about 20 minutes from Gettysburg. Restaurants were close by. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Perfect spot for us to stop. Near restaurants, just far enough for our trips North/ Wish the fan in the bathroom did not come on with the light. The motel seems to have more improvements each time we stop.

We were driving south and needed to stop for the night. Best Western offered us a comfortable nights sleep for a reasonable price. The staff was helpful and efficient. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was quite nice.

I have been impressed with Best Western hotels over recent months. They have done a great job in updating their rooms and lobbies, offer better than average complimentary hot breakfasts, while continuing to keep their rates reasonable. As I was traveling with many valuables packed in my truck on this trip it was important that I was able to park in a safe and secure lot. The parking at this hotel is well lit within view of of the front desk. I have stayed in the best hotels and resorts in the country so I know quality. You can spend a whole lot more and still fall short of the experience offered by BW today.

Not very easy to get to off the Interstate Highway. You can only enter and re-enter the hotel from the main entrance. The cleaning products used leave a very distinct odor. Although they are pet friendly, there is really no place to walk your pet. Breakfast was average and standard items.

My husband and I stayed here 1 night on our way south from NJ. We needed somewhere near the interstate and we weren't concerned about things like wifi or breakfast. Safety and cleanliness are always a concern for us. This motel provided very well for both safety and cleanliness. It's old, and dated but clean. The bathroom was clean and the linens felt fresh. The carpet and the furniture also appears clean and we were not uncomfortable. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave, and an iron and ironing board, which I didn't expect. Our room was on the side facing the road and it was a little noisy at times. The pillows were hard and flat (the only really bad thing about the place), The breakfast was continental and average for that, but we knew when we booked that was what they had. So I don't hold that against them, and we weren't concerned about getting a meal there. The man who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful, it was about 10pm. 6am the next morning he was there still and had breakfast set up and just as pleasant and friendly. In fact he appeared to going around the property and checking things out, which left a good impression on me. I would stay there again and feel it was worth the $.

The room that we had was across from the ice and vending machines so it was a little noisy being I am a light sleeper. Next time I will ask for a different room. Other than that it was a overall good stay.

Stayed her this past weekend while attending a conference at Wilson College. This is a no frills lodging, but was clean, and well maintained. The free breakfast was good, slightly above average. One bonus, all rooms are on main floor so you do not need to deal with stairs or elevators.

Have spent several times at Best Westerns always found the room super clean bed comfortable. From the staff at check in time to check out have been most accommodating. Breakfast was always good just needs a few more items, like yogurt and x-tea juices.

This hotel is fine. It's conveniently situated near restaurants, shopping and I-81. The room was average. We felt like the fitness center was unusable. Our room was just off the lobby, so it was a little loud for my taste.

We travel with our pet several times a year and often stay at this hotel. Staff is friendly, hotel is comfortable, clean and pet friendly. The breakfast selection is very good and the update of the breakfast room was well done and clean and comfortable.

I posted a review on the other site. The fitness center was lacking, the water fountain in the lobby was not working, there was no chair for the desk in my room and the eggs and sausage for breakfast were of poor quality and the coffee maker was not working.

Have been staying at this Motel for years - steady improvement in amenities and updated decor. So close to highway, malls, and many restaurant choices. This is one of my favorite places to stay and I have never had a bad experience

This hotel is a great place to stop. Great exterior and interior. Very clean all common areas and rooms are great. Check in was very nice and the personnel very helpful with places to dine or go shopping witch are close by. May be fine minutes. Rooms are complete with microwave and Frig. Beds are very nice and we slept great. Breakfast area is great with a big variety of hot and cold items. Had a great stay.

This hotel is a great place for me because I have friends in the area. It's very clean, well run and the price is excellent! The only sore spot for me is the breakfast, but the one offered here needs to be improved. The orange juice was excellent, but the food was not.

You can get lucky on rates if you take the time to shop around . I found this Best Western through Hotels.com and a $65 rate . Nice, clean, great location, free hot breakfast . Only negative , every machine in the fitness room was broke or needs batteries changed . Not to worry as you can always walk outside .

We were passing through from Albany, NY our way to NC. The room was very clean. The breakfast offering was pleasant--coffee, waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. The location is right off of 81 with many restaurants and stores in the immediate area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet as was the hotel and we were not concerned for our safety. It was a pleasurable stay.

My wife and I were headed back north and chose to stop in Chambersburg for the night. We chose the Best Western as it was pet friendly and modestly priced. The hotel was easy to find, Tony at the front desk was very helpful and went out of his way to be supportive. However the biggest and nicest surprise was the hotel. It was updated a year ago and our room was very impressive for the price we paid. Breakfast was nice, but the room was as nice as a lot of Marriotts I've stayed at over the years. The only drawback was the noise from the highway - Rt 81, but given the location, that was not a surprise. Another upside was the number of local restaurants available in the area. You will not go hungry in Chambersburg. I would recommend the Best Western to anyone traveling in the area. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we did.

We stayed for a week as we were visiting our mother who was ill. We found the price reasonable especially for a long stay. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all friendly. We had no problems.

Excellent hotel stay with dog, clean comfortable beds plenty of hot water and great sleep. Excellent full breakfast with eggs. This hotel is easy on off route 81. We will stay at this hotel again when in the area.

I selected this motel because of its location on our route and that it allowed pets. I was pleased to hear the person checking in, in front of me, had stayed there before. When I checked in the clerk could not have been more helpful or personable. Additionally the pet fee was very reasonable. My wife commented on the pleasant lack of cleaning solution odor, though the room was clean and smelled fresh. My only frustration was the lack of brewed coffee. I am not a hardcore coffee drinker, but I like a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. The coffee at this motel came from one of those machines, and it tasted like it. We dumped our coffees out at the next stop.

Check everything upon entering room. Service is great, people very friendly. Could possibly use a better room inspection checklist, as 2 things were not working. Or maybe a check once a week, since appliances and lamps can break.

This was an average hotel. Not fantastic, but a safe place to stay. There was no front desk staff for all least 5 minutes when we arrived and when she did show up, she said she had to run off and do something else. That took another few minutes. We had a $50 coupon which she did not know how to apply to our room charge and told us to have the morning staff apply it. She was fairly new and it was obvious she should not have been on duty alone. The walls were paper thin, we could hear people talking in other rooms. The strike plate on outdoor was loose and the door had problems shutting tightly. We always stay at Best Western Hotels, but I highly doubt we will stay at this particular one again.

Nothing particularly distinguished about this Best Western. It is an older motel, but well-maintained and up-to-date. My Queen room also had a couch and coffee table. Heater/Air Conditioner had constant fan, which I prefer, and worked well. Staff was pleasant, breakfast was about what you would expect. I like Best Westerns, and this one was fine.

We booked 2 rooms at this location using Air Miles. The property is handy to I81 and easy to find. It is within walking distance of a number of places to eat. Property is a bit dated but the rooms were clean. The only 'problem' we had was that our first two rooms were the smoking rooms. Although this is a smoke free hotel these rooms stunk of stale cigarette smoke. Looking at the doors there were no 'no smoking' signs so it would appear that although the hotel is non smoking people did smoke in the rooms. Not a big deal we went to the desk and got 2 new rooms that were more than adequate. The beds were the best we had slept on in 10 days of traveling. Soft but not too soft. Rooms were very clean and the bathroom had ample clean towels. The walls are very 'thin' so if you are a light sleeper this might be an issue. The breakfast was typical breakfast buffet, the only complaint is that there wasn't a good selection of fresh fruit but everything else was more than satisfactory. Would stay there again.

Stayed here one one on our way from South Carolina to New York state. Glad to get there after a very long day of driving. However it was below our expectations. It w as average at best. The hotel is old and the decor is dreary and depressing. The room had a couch (sofa bed, I guess) that looked very worn and dirty. I've seen better put out at a curb. The towels and washcloths were dingy and thin. The carpet looked questionable. The lobby didn't' look welcoming and was dimly lit. The treadmill in the fitness room was falling apart (the edge of the treadmill was falling off). The treadmill itself didn't work properly as it would suddenly speed for no reason. The only reason I didn't give this hotel lower rating was that the staff was very friendly at the desk and the breakfast was very good.

Woke up to hopper that would over flow if flushed. Went to front desk told clerk and he handed me a plunger to fix it myself. Not what I expect at BW Hotel. Have never had a problem like this happen and was a little upset over what happened.

We stayed in room 111 which had a king size bed with a very comfortable mattress. It was a large room with a sofa bed, a very large TV and two bath room sinks. The breakfast was plentiful, which included, scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, waffles, etc. The lady kept it clean and well stocked. This property was very close to several good restaurants and shopping. We would stay here again.

We chose this hotel based on price and location, right off 81S and 30. It worked out very nicely for us, conveniently located near shopping and restaurants as well as the highway. The room was clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Tony checked us in and when we couldn't figure out how to get the TV to work was there in just a few minutes to help us out. Free breakfast in the morning was great..scrambled eggs, make your own waffles, cereal, muffins, etc. We thought the coffee was great. Overall good experience would recommend and we would stop there again if back this way.

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to Gettysburg and the easy on/off of the freeway we needed to use. Abdul was helpful at check-in, our room was comfortable and large and our breakfast good. The only problem we had was that the walls were thin and we could hear the man next door snoring.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I found bed bugs in both beds in my room. Showed these to the front desk manager, as well as took a picture, and was given a new room. The new room had pubic hairs on the sheets. I had been driving for over 10 hours that day and literally did not have the energy to go anywhere else, so I toughed it out (though barely slept) and bagged up all clothing that I took into the room and took the recommended precautions for bed bugs. Thankfully, the bed bugs did not follow me out of Chambersburg, but I would do yourself a favor and not risk it! On top of this mess, the hotel said they would give me a discount on the room (after I requested a full refund), but they have not done so and will not return my calls. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE. DISGUSTING.

We needed a place to stay as our stopping point for the night and this hotel was just right. We chose BW since I am a rewards member and a plus is the breakfast that is included in the price. You do get eggs, sausage, etc. which only certain hotel chains offer outside of the usual continental breakfast. The only problem we noticed was that we did hear the person talking on the phone in the room adjacent to us. There are several places to eat which are within a mile and even a short walk to a Texas Roadhouse restaurant which the hotel will give you a coupon for 10% off.

The room had a door that was hard to lock. The room was near where employees gathered to talk and it was very noisy. I did not like that there was not a TV listing to help you find stations that were not info stations. We enjoyed the coupon for Texas Roadhouse which was in walking distance.

The desk help at check in was very helpful. she gave us a coupon for Texas road house. I did not know how to work the TV remote and she tried to help but she wasn't familiar with it either. She had only been there two weeks. They did not have a list of TV stations which would have been very helpful.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania for 3 nights while enjoying the Corvettes of Carlisle Car Show. We had a wonderful stay. The registration staff were fantastic as well as the cleaning staff. They were all such nice people. Highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

This is a very nice hotel and we were very satisfied with the entire experience. The staff was very nice and also very helpful. The location is perfect and it's close to a variety of restaurants. We especially liked that it has an Outdoor Pool! We are not fans of indoor pools and never use them. This hotel is also close to Hershey and Gettysburg, and the breakfast was delicious! We will stay here again when in the area.

For those on a budget this is a good choice. Complimentary breakfast was good but check the times cause it ended earlier than other places I've stayed,l made it just in time. Cable TV selections were good although my stay was too short to enjoy it much. Small pool but looked clean didn't notice it till after I checked out. I would use it if I stayed here again and I would stay here again if I was visiting this area of the country.

I had a great stay here! It was home away from home for a week while I was in town on business. Very clean! The one day the cleaning lady thought she forgot to clean my room before I got back from work so she came by to check. IMPRESSIVE! I have stayed several places where they wouldn't have bothered. But, oh my! The VERY BLUE accent wall... Lol! It just didn't seem to fit... Maybe a darker blue or a tan color... Maybe some decorations to break up the blue. Friendly staff, greeted me every time I walked through the door. Even thought it was just a "Hi" it meant a lot to be seen. Great job guys! Thank you so much for the hospitality!

We stayed here on our way back home to NJ from Florida. We travel with a dog and trail a boat. The staff was so friendly and accomadating to us. Welcomed our dog, guided us on safely parking our boat, and ensured we had all we needed. Lobby and rooms are extremely clean, and breakfast was good. It's directly off the highway, well priced, easy to get to, and plenty of stores and restaurants around. TIP...no liquor stores around...stop before you arrive, if you need something.

The location of this Best Western was great. Is very close to restaurants and shopping. Is located right off the exit. Easy on and easy off. Great price, clean. Comfortable bed, refridgerator, microwave in the room and coffee pot too.Pool. Breakfast. Friendly staff.

This is not the "Ritz-Carlson", but it is a nice, clean, comfortable hotel, cheaper than others in the area. Some of the carpets need some cleaning, but otherwise the hotel was very clean. Also have a good hot breakfast with quite a few breakfast options from sausage and eggs to cereal. A nice place to stay, and a good value for the price.

We have stayed at this Best Western yearly for my Grandson's Birthday weekend in the past. This year, I booked 3 rooms for family members besides my husband and myself. We were all located next to each other. The rooms were very clean and stocked with plenty of towels. We couldn't find an additional blanket though. The free breakfast buffet was excellent. There was the normal hot and cold beverages and pastries, but also scrambled eggs, a waffle machine and bacon. We would stay here again. The staff was incredible. I wish I would have gotten their names.

It all came together, great staff, modern room and hotel Internet and breakfast were great. Good value. I have an experience like this at 1 in 10 hotels, I would rate the hotel in the top 10%. Will always stay here when I travel to Chambersburg

(The overnight guy was very helpful as well and worked damn hard at setting the breakfast up!) Big breakfast choices+ Pool was perfect+,Clean room & comfortable bed but did not appreciate housekeeping just walking in at 9:30a w/o knocking first! No other issues to mention and we a very pleasant weekend stay! Shall return! Thanks!! There was a couple of issues that were addresed. The staff was helpfull, cleaning man was creapy. The lobby ac was broke and not repaied. This was a weekend trip. Overall stay was good, pool was nice but small.

The front desk could not have been more helpful. This was my first experience with a Best Western and after this stay both my wife and I agreed we would stay at Best Westerns as often as we could and if fact signed up for the Best Western card.

Clean, and comfortable rooms. We slept like babies, the beds were great. The jacuzzi was comforting after a long day in the sun. Karen was very helpful and gave us a few discount coupons for local diner venues. We will be back again.

I loved the breakfast. The place was clean. I slept fine. There was hardly any noise even though I was across the hall from vending and ice. Fast check in and check out. The room was large and the bed was soft.

We stayed here on a cross-country drive with our two small dogs, and were happy to find this dog-friendly hotel to crash in after a harrowing drive through heavy rain and storms. Easy access from the highway, friendly front desk staff, and good access to outside for walking our dogs.

The hotel staff was excellence and very courteous. The location is perfect 30 minutes from Gettysburg and Carlisle PA. Excellence Diners and restaurants in the local area. Many things to do with your family and friends.

We had a good nights rest here. Not a fancy place but the staff are very friendly and they do allow pets which is nice. Did not eat breakfast so can not comment on that. Close to restaurants and other businesses. Makes it a good choice for travelers.

Stayed here because of location, Decent room not overpriced, hotel is somewhat aged, however I did notice a guy installing new carpeting in the main hallway so maybe they are starting to renovate, room smelled slightly, poor lighting, I had every light in the room on and still not enough light to read without opening the window curtain, water pressure was a problem in the shower, and the tub filled with water while showering, they need to clear the drains. Close to highway yet pleasantly quiet. Staff was friendly, I will give this another try next time in area because it looked like they are starting to renovate.

We recently stayed overnight at this motel to attend a local family reunion. The first thing I noticed was the main entrance. You need to PULL open both sets of doors. This is very unhandy when you are dealing with bags and other personal items. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Some of the concerns we had was the lack of normal amenities in the room --- no body lotion, no shower cap, no tissues (Kleenex), etc. The only items provided were a small bottle of shampoo/conditioner and a cake of soap. Also, only two wash cloths. Nice things: a refrigerator and easy parking. This is a one-story motel; so you don't need to worry about steps or elevators. The hallway showed signs of maintenance being done --- with mirrors and various types of items sitting around; but I suppose that can be expected. This Best Western was okay for a one-night visit. The nice thing is we got to see a couple of dogs; because they do allow dogs to stay over as guests and we are all animal lovers. In the morning there is an area for eating a self-serve continental breakfast --- coffee, waffles, cereals, sweet rolls, scrambled eggs, sausage and fruit. Nice and convenient; and included in the price of the motel.

Very nice staff to me, my family, and our dog. Good breakfast. I know my son will always have a good breakfast here. Comfortable rooms and very clean. I liked the staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Love the history.

Hotel is renovating replacing carpets, improving waiting area, upgrading rooms. Looks good , a work in progress but did not disturb our visit. Convenient and walking distance to many hotels. Short drive to many others,

Hotel is under renovation, but the lobby and the breakfast area are done very high end. The breakfast had many selections and there was room to move, you are not crowded in a small room with all of the other guests grabbing breakfast. Convenient location to 81 and to local amenities. Check in staff was very helpful with any questions.

This hotel is easy to find and undergoing a nice renovation. It's clean and fresh and the bed was super comfortable. They didn't have "hot" breakfast during our stay and the shower was only luke warm but the stay was nice for the price. Make sure you check the hotel website for the best price.

This particular location has new management in place they are working very hard on changing the way the outside looks the inside looks and rooms are very well done was very pleased with how clean the room is. the only negative that we did find was with the shower curtain there was mold still on the bottom of the curtain that really needs to be addressed.

Newly updated rooms, comfortable queen beds, WIFI and Breakfast included. First floor accommodations, convenient location to enable dog walking in grassy areas. Would definitely return for another stay.

We have now stayed at the Chambersburg Best Western on four occasions when we come to check on our rental property. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is great and staff is friendly. Value is great as well.

Satisfactory service. The hotel is in the midst of renovations. Staff are accommodating. The hotel is located on a north south corridor and the value for the money is good. A good stop along the way and represents the Best Western name well.

I'm not sure how this hotel earned a 3 star rating. The room was clean and fairly quiet. Other than that nothing was outstanding. I have never waited that long for a person to get to the front desk to check me in, and It was only at 8:30 in the evening. The room heater/air rattled that load it woke us up throughout the night. The TV remote took a while to figure out and there were no instructions with it. The mattress was old sagging to the center. The food at breakfast was good after waiting about 10 minutes to get it. Next time I am in that area I will pay $25 more to get better service at another hotel.

While tis hotel is well situated off the I 81 it is under renovation. Basic cleanliness is OK but there was trash behind the telephone table, the sink pipes leaked onto the floor, there were old burn holes in the sheets and blankets and the Direct TV is a pain to use. This is generally a noisy hotel (both guests and traffic from the highway). The breakfast was OK with some hot items and the usual cold items. Tea and coffee were available 24 hours per day. This is a pet freindly hotel and there were lots of dogs (although they were quiet). The area around the hotel is good for a walk with or without a dog.

This hotel is a poor example of customer service and hospitality. We arrived to check in around 7pm and the woman at the desk was on the phone which is fine, but we were never acknowledged. Simply asking the other line to hold for a brief second and introduce herself and apologize for the wait to us would have been more than fitting. Instead we were ignored for quite a while. Then when explaining how to spell our last name and who was in our room the clerk was clueless and rude to us about it. Next we got into the room and the disappointments continued. I've stayed here previously and the hotel was under renovation then and over a year later they still are. The rooms have a god awful looking blue "accent" wall in the bathroom and the bedroom with rustic colored bedding, curtains, and flooring. This doesn't match and looks very last minute and out of place. There is no mirror above the sink, and there were little black hairs and BOOT PRINTS from a subcontractor in our shower. On top of this my coworkers room was just as disappointing and contained mold in the AC unit. You could smell it when you walked in. There must have been mold in my room as well because I could not stop coughing all night. The pillows were very flat and the bed was repulsive with black stains on the "protective" sheet. The real kicker is that my coworker's room had a door that didn't work. The hotel was unable to change the batteries or use the magnetic box that every other hotel is capable of doing. The hotel tries as the breakfast attendant was very nice, but the food was sub-par. We also saw one of the attendants just quickly dunk silverware into hopefully hot soapy water and quickly air dry it and put it back on the line. A change in upper management is needed if they think charging $109 plus a night for a place like this with no amenities is a good business model. I've stayed at many Marriott properties for less and have had much better service.

I stayed on this hotel during a business trip. This hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel. Some refurbishing were going on during my stay, but I expect at least to have a mirror in my room in order to shave and make up.

I stayed here because I had stayed here in the past and liked the hotel. I was excited to see that the hotel is being remodeled, especially when I found out that my room was one of the newly remodeled rooms. I was able to get the last room at the hotel on the night I stayed. Unfortunately, my newly remodeled, nonsmoking room reeked of cigarettes. It smelled as if the hotel didn't even bother to try and cover the smell up. I'm sensitive to odors and did not have a good stay this trip.

Parking at this location is atrocious! Small lot, with small places. Great for a Rambler American, or a VW beetle, but tight for an Escape or mid size. If you have a pick-up or other full size unit, it is extreamly tight! Rooms? They were so-so. Breakfast? I've had better

I've stayed here a number of times over the past year, but this last visit was probably my last. The bed was like a rock, and made my back ache something awful. I had a room facing Walker Road, which parallels Route 81, and there was road noise all night. And the TV didn't work. They have these fancy Direct TV remotes that freeze up and you are stuck with one channel until you get someone to come in and fix it. The plusses? Most of the staff is pleasant. The place is clean, despite the long-running renovation, and breakfast is OK. But I need to be able to get a good night's sleep - that's a priority for me. I will find another hotel for my Chambersburg visits in the future.

This hotel was under renovation but was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast items were extensive and good. There was no noise from construction at all and was very clean. I would stay here again if passing through.

First of all, I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. Prior to arrival I received a call asking if I could switch to a different room. I was not given any explanation, but we did switch to a room with a king bed. By the time we arrived, I was not feeling well, so I went to bed. One could assume that I felt the bed was uncomfortable because of the number of hours I spent in it, BUT my husband also got a terrible nights sleep and awoke with severe back pain. The night before, when I was sick, I was trying to watch TV but could only get the Direct TV remote to work for one channel. We have DTV at home, so I am familiar with how it works. My husband and I tried everything and couldn't get it to change channels, although it would turn on/off. We called the desk and the clerk came to our room (REEKING of cigarette smoke!) and proceeded to show us that you have to be on the other side of the room to get the remote to work! The box was mounted on the back of the dresser! What?! Don't most people these days expect to be able to watch TV in bed without having to walk across the room to change channels? I mean we are in the 21st century, right? They are pet friendly but charge an additional $15 for the pet. Not the worse we've experienced, though. Just based on the uncomfortable bed, we will not stay there again.

As a travel nurse was staying 4 nites a week for 2 months, until the morning of 12/24/2015, after working nite shift went to room fo pick up stuff and check out, some one during nite had taken a pee and god knows what else while I was working, the proof is toilet seat was up and piss stains on rim of toilet. Freaked out and grossed out never went back! No point management lives and works the hotel. As a female there is now way I put and left toilet seat up!

We have stayed at this facility many times to visit our daughter. It is an ordinary BW and not a resort or upscale place. It is clean, comfortable and has helpful staff. It is located, more or less, at the intersection of I81 and US30. And, it is very close to 81 which is busy road. Fortunately, the noise from 81, substantial outside, was non-intrusive in our room which faced I81,

While traveling to the Chambersburg area the Best Western is my choice for a hotel. It's always clean, the staff friendly and accommodating. There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance and the complimentary breakfast hot breakfast is a great way to start the day.

I had an average experience overall at this Best Western. The hotel is in a good location and is near several good restaurants and shops. The strongest point to this Best Western is that the woman at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming and was very helpful. The actual interior of the hotel was ok, but I think that the carpets and rooms could use some updating/freshening up. Based on other reviews it seems like a renovation is in the works. It wasn't bad enough to not come back, but I think it would definitely help the hotel to at least install new carpets, and maybe some brighter/cheerier lighting in the lobby area. I was traveling with my dog and the hotel is super pet friendly and accommodating of pets.

Thankfully we had reservations before our trip. Soon after we were checked in, there were only three rooms available! It is next door to a "La Quinta" which is currently closed due to a fire. There was a nice cozy fire going in the fireplace when we walked in. Breakfast was really good, they even had sausage and biscuits, which made my husband very happy. The lady that was taking care of the breakfast area was extremely efficient. Everything was kept filled and very clean. Also, this hotel accepts pets. Renovations to update the hotel are being started next week, but the hotel looked great to us!

This place needs a makeover. The halls smell like smoke, the carpets and draperies should be replaced, and the AC is very noisy, but the area is quiet, and provides a great space to walk your dogs.The rooms are large. If the dogs didn't come first I would try another place. It does not come close to other Best Westerns I have stayed at for the same price.

Excellent service including very helpful staff and great accommodations. Parking is convenient. The breakfast food is varied and tasteful. The rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. The beds are comfortable and the other room furniture is comfortable and well appointed.

It is a good Best Western. The breakfast could be better. The gravy for the biscuit was actually chipped beef. The room was comfortable. Padding to fill out the review requirements. This length requirement is poor. I am typing this just to fill out space. I hope I have typed enough.

Our single queen room needed a little help but the breakfast was awesome and the breakfast area made up for what the room lacked. It was a great stop over on our way to NY. I prefer a softer bed, this bed was really hard and we only had 3 pillow to share for 2 people.

Very nicely located near I81 near a mall and great chain restaurants but away from highway noise. Price paid was good but beds seemed smaller than queen size. Fitted sheets kept coming loose, blankets seemed to slip off easy. The hotel staff went the extra mile to help me find a document scanner. Really nice people.

We just returned from an overnight stay in a suite. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The fold out couch was okay, my kids didn't complain too much about the comfort level. Continental breakfast this morning was great, plenty there to choose from. Our check in went seamless. The lady at the front desk was SUPER friendly. We needed an extra blanket and towel set and she was quick to get us what we needed. Very friendly staff overall, some of the nicest we have been around in awhile. Would definitely recommend staying here. Can't beat the price, excellent location.

Since my last stay here they have updated furnishings, and breakfast room. Very nice. The continental breakfast has improved and the staff is friendly and asked where we might be dining out and provided a discount coupon. Thanks BW.

Found myself in Chambersburg on business and I stayed at the Best Western. This is the nicest Best Western I've stayed at. Rooms, bathroom, halls and lobby were all very clean. No odd hotel smells. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My room was on the backside of the hotel and very quiet, no traffic noise from I-81. Great selection of channels on the t.v., microwave and refrigerator in the room. The breakfast was nice for a hotel; eggs, sausage, biscuits, chit beef gravy, waffles, bagels, cereal, etc... Lots of restaurants within a mile of the hotel. My only complaint was the walls were a bit thin, not too bad but I could hear my neighbors t.v. Quite well. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

A very spacious, well-equipped and clean handicapped room. Breakfast is included. The selection is very good and well presented. All staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Always a great stop for our trips.

After traveling most of the country, west to east coast in the past three weeks, we have stayed at many hotels/inns. This was The WORST !! As part of a hotel chain this is their embarrassment ! Front desk staff were more interested in going for a smoke outside, than of actually being any assistance. One of them was dressed up as a witch and hopefully she was just brought in for decorative "Halloween" reasons. As a front desk clerk, she seemed put out when we asked for another pillow, because the room was missing one. She told us she'd check with housekeeping and get back to us, then she got back to pigging out on Halloween candy. When we got back from dinner she told us the hotel was booked out and there were no more pillows. Then she got back to her candy ! The room was shaby, the comforter looked dirty and the bed uncomfortable. We were tired after a long day traveling but it was hard to sleep as you could clearly hear the people in the next room, and I mean clearly, like they were actually carrying on a conversation in our room ! They finally fell asleep, but were up at 5.30 chatting away. When we went to check out the front desk clerk asked how are stay was. I told her it was terrible, it felt like we were sharing a room with a bunch of other people, "there is obviously NO insulation in the walls", and I've never stayed at a hotel where you had to bring your own pillows. She must get alot of complaints as she didn't seem too concerned. There are plenty of other hotels in the area, DO NOT STAY AT THIS ONE !

Have stayed here many times before so we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. That wasn't to be. First room had stained sheets and mattress cover, next room noisy neighbor on cell phone, speaker at 7:00am, plus broken lamp, and lots of road noise. Quality has gone downhill since our last visit in 2014. Don't recommend.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this Best Western. This hotel is very nice, very clean, and the rooms are spacious. Really high ceilings makes the room feel even larger. We only stayed for one evening on our trip home from Florida, but I would definitely come back.

Newer hotel, with easy access right off the freeway. It exceed all our requirements for a restful stay on a long road trip, until it was time for my morning cup of coffee. I am encountering more BW hotels with these machines that provide what amounts to instant coffee. Horrible and undrinkable. bad way to start my day. This is a good choice for clean, comfortable stay. Just go out for your coffee in the morning. I do appreciate BW has been leading the industry in military discounts at all their hotels.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Hotel in Chambersburg, Pa which will also be our last time. Our room was not clean by any means. The on/off water knob was brown from crud, dirt was in the corners, big black marks on the love seat, some less than desirable blots on the arm of the love seat, the floor was dirty, the hallway carpet was filthy. The desk clerk was very sorry and apologetic. She was also very nice and the breakfast the following morning was very good. Would I recommend this hotel to others, NO. This is not indicative of Best Western hotels. This the only one that we have stayed at that was in this condition. We have had no problems when staying at other Best Westerns....

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel and hope it will fit in with our travel plans in the future. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was more than adequate. Also easy access from the highway.

My wife and I came here to meet a college friend for the weekend... the location is central to many restaurants and stores... the front desk staff was very helpful and helped us with locating some of the better restaurants in the area. Our room was very clean and spacious... the breakfast was very nice as well and there was coffee available 24/7. I really enjoyed my stay at this Best Western! A very nice stay for a good price!

Without advanced reservation, we were serviced very well. I would stay at this Best Western again and recommend it to anyone that was in this area. The location was very close to the interstate plus seeing the Best Western logo from the interstate made our reservation decision simple.

The hotel is in need of a face lift. The room was smelly of cigarette smell even though it was a non smoking room, in addition, a cat urine smell. Used the discount coupons from the Welcome Centre so I gathered that may be why we got this awful room. The carpet was so bad that you definitely had too keep your shoes on as I was scared to catch something. This Best Western should be skipped, not recommended.

The facility itself is fine. Our room was just in dire need of a refreshening, e.g. smelly from smoke, dirty stained carpet, bed comforter with cigarette burns. The breakfast was more limited and less good than comparables...not even a banana!

Great and pleasant. Staff wonderful and helpful. Felt as if they were caring for their own family. Many family members from out of state commented on how pleasant their stay was. I will be staying here again. Thank You

We stayed at this hotel as a block of rooms was reserved for a wedding that we were attending. I had called to make the reservation well in advance; with the wedding, we got a really great rate for a 2 queen non-smoking room for one night. As soon as we walked in the door, a friendly woman named Karen was there at the front desk to assist us. Our room was located adjacent to the front lobby area, which also has seating for the morning breakfast (which I did not know we got with the room- bonus!). At first, I was disappointed that we were so close to what would likely be a loud lobby later in the evening and early morning, but surprisingly, we did not hear much noise. That goes for the highway, too; though it is parallel to route 81, you do not hear any road noise once you are inside. This hotel absolutely allows pets, as we frequently saw 2 dogs during our stay, and heard a cat somewhere, but you wouldn't know it; we did not smell any pet odors at all. Our room had some miscellaneous stains on the carpets, but was very clean, and it looked as though it had been updated recently (nice linens, paint looked newer, nice TV, newer furniture, etc). The room also had a microwave and fridge, which we did not use, but it was nice that they were available. The cable selection was pretty good (though it took me a while to figure out how the remote worked) and wifi was free (need a passcode to get online). When we met up with friends later in the lobby/dining area to order pizza and eat, Karen at the front desk offered to turn on more lights for us (they dim them when the area is not in use) and she offered us plates, napkins and silverware to use from the breakfast area, which was super nice and unexpected. The dining area is open all the time for juice, coffee, and tea, another added bonus. When it is cooler out, turn on a gas fireplace for an added cozy touch. There is a small fitness center, though I did not have time to check it out. After we retired for the night, we slept very well- the beds, pillows, and linens were comfortable, and I scarcely heard any noise through the night, until well after we were awake. The breakfast was decent, with eggs, tasty sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, a waffle station, cereal, yogurt, and fruit... not a bad spread for being included with the room. Overall, we could not have asked for a nicer stay, and I admit that I was surprised just how nice everything was for the price that we paid. While not fancy by any means, this Best Western is the nicest I have ever stayed at, and is definitely a great value. If we ever are in the area again, I would stay here again for sure!

My stay was necessitated due to my husband being operated at the nearby hospital. The length of the stay was determined by the outcome of his operation and things changed on a daily basis. They were extremely nice about working with me even when it came to changing rooms due to booking requirements. On a previous visit for a Dr. appointment we had stayed next door at La Quinta and were disappointed with the staff and facilities which was the deciding factor when it came time to make the reservation choice for the period of the operation. There will be future Dr. visits and we will be making return reservations here due to their friendly assistance and accommodations.

Hotel is located just off Interstate 81 and easy to find. However, the hotel needs a thorough renovation. The beds are average...a bit on the soft side. The carpet was very stained. The included breakfast has enough items to satisfy a weary traveler. The staff was very polite and did their job well.

Friendly service and clean. Quiet place to stay out of the traffic of Gettysburg, Pa Good assortment for breakfast. Vacation in Gettysburg and stay in Chambersburg for a quiet place to stay. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Convenient to the Interstate but not at the intersection.
