Had a great time stayed here with my 17 year old twins. Very clean and hygenic. It is difficult to give a full appraisal when staying during covid 19 but the staff were very vigilant taking all necessary Government guidelines. There is a fantastic view of Mount Vesuvius. There was a shuttle service in to Town. The staff are delightful and cannot do enough to help, very friendly and warm. Francesco, his family and staff team very friendly and professional. I really miss them and their kindness towards us.
The only problem I found was the value, it was very expensive on top to stay at the hotel. And the area isn't so nice but we have the lovely view of mount versuvia. I would come back as the family are really friendly. And there hospitality is great. Well done!
Wow, never have I ever had a most perfect stay at an hotel. The staff, the food, the cleanliness, the hospitality, the bar, the location... everything is absolutely perfect. Aldo and Carmine stood out massively, they were absolutely great, very friendly and not shy of a conversation. This hotel is very close to every place you can visit and very cheap. Here they offer excursions and small trips, supply a free shuttle at certain times of the day, however everything is do able by train. The pool is super clean and well maintained aswell as the rest of the hotel with the beautiful smell throughout. No one can do enough for you whilst staying. The cleaners are fantastic and come round daily supplying fresh towels and clean bedding. The owner Francesco and his daughter Francesca are beautiful hearted people, make everyone including ourselves feel at home and welcome. Me and Sam have had a lovely stay and look forward to future visits. Thankyou very much! ❤️❤️❤️
A big thankyou again to Francesco and his team, this is our second year on visiting this little gem. Aldo, carmine and all the staff have been brilliant again being very attentive as nothing to much trouble even when i was feeling unwell aldo had the remedy for my trouble. I will definitely be back again. Thankyou again and see you soon
We booked this hotel because they are an affiliate of Best Western and centrally located between Pompeii, Amalfi, Positano, and Sorrento. Perfect place to be! What we didn't realize was how serious this hotel takes hospitality for its guests. The front desk was very nice and accommodating, especially Francesca. Our room was immaculate. The clean smell throughout the whole hotel was noticed. The view? Simply beautiful from our room on 4th floor. Breakfast and dinner was fantastic. They taxied us to and from the ferry to Capri as well as dinner in town. I cannot say enough about this hotel! If you plan on visiting any of the above mentioned places, you would not go wrong to stay here!
If I could I would give this hotel la10 star rating the staff could not do enough for you the rooms were very clean the food was excellent and all the staff treated you as if you was the most important person
I can't deny that driving up past the abandoned buildings is initially off putting, but once you get to the hotel itself things couldn't be better. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough to make our stay as wonderful as possible. We stayed half board, the menu each evening was plentiful and delicious, all freshly cooked and chosen from a set menu rather than a buffet. The drinks prices in the hotel were similar to in the town, so evenings were spent at the hotel. We didn't struggle for breakfast, yes the coffee was from a machine, but the espresso option was from beans. The hotel is clean and well kept, the pool area so quiet that we often had it to ourselves. I enjoyed it so much I'm already looking at when I can come back.
We received a very warm welcome upon our late arrive to this hotel. Room was adequate, though the shower needs modernising. The owner, Francesco and all the staff we very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is buffet style with a range of cereals, fresh fruit, meat cheeses, breads cakes to choose from. The pool was lovely and quiet, be prepared though as the water is very cold! Staff came round regularly to see if we required anything. The hotel is situated 15/20 minute up hill walk from seafront, which we enjoyed as we are quite fit. Train station 15 minute walk which takes you to Naples in one direction and Sorrento in the other. The hotel is situated on a busy narrow corner so be prepared as cars and mopeds beep their horns as they navigate around this as its a two way street. You can close the shutters to try and reduce the noise. Also our room was situated close to the kitchen where probably an over exuberant kitchen staff were dropping pots and plates so the noise travelled upwards. The area is partly derelict and there is a view of a closed Hotel de Therme from some of the rooms, but it did not really bother us. The hotel provide a shuttle car to town at 9:30 and 11:30 which is useful fro getting to the station quickly. Also there are some tours that can be booked from the hotel with pickup and drop off provided. The hotel arranged one which included Positano and the Alfmafi coast which I would highly recommend
A beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Not a buffet dinner as I thought but lovely pasta. Not a great selection for vegetarians but passable. Rooms are good sized and very clean. Towels are available to use by the pool. The staff go out of their way to help and were all very friendly. We had a lovely week.
Very friendly and pleasant staff; fresh, clean and well maintained hotel, with pleasant garden and outdoor swimming pool. The location of the hotel meant that we were the guests rather than the products.
We had a great time at this hotel, the staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle to the train station, which we found very useful, though it is possible to walk. Do not miss the villas in the town - Villa Arianna and Villa San Marco. We were lucky enough to visit the latter in the evening, which was spectacular - again the hotel was great, putting on a free shuttle to visit it. The restaurant is good and the room had everything we needed and was very clean. It is a good central location for visiting many sites around the bay too.
We spent 4 nights in this hotel, while visited pompei and sorrento. The town itself, castellamare di stabia has a certain charm, but very dirty and cant use the beach which would be the best asset of the town if it was cleaned up. Anyway the hotel is in a quiet location, bout 15min walk from town centre and train station. (Never used the free shuttle). Breakfast is small but tasty, has some nice little cakes and you can eat outside lookin out the mountain. There is a very nice garden. Didnt try the pool. The staff is polite and very helpful. So would recommend this hotel
I Would like to express my pleasure at staying at this wonderful hotel. Very friendly staff and best director Francesko.Everything was perfect! I will recomend everyone who wants to see the other places in Amalfi coast, it has good conection.
very friendly place and personnel, the rooms were very comfortable, nice and clean, the kids loved the pool, great food and ambiance of the bar and the garden, not to mention the bar staff. Very helpful hotel personnel and management, I was positively surprised. Love to come back some day in the future, thank you...Alessandra, Ileana, Aldo and the owner Francesco, and all the others staff ...THANK YOU SO MUCH! You guys made our stay so amazing!
We stayed here in late August and it lived up to the reviews. Wonderful warm welcome and very helpful staff. Raphaela (sorry if I spelt it wrong!) on reception went out of his way to help us and gave some great advice on getting around! Very clean with the rooms cleaned daily. Wish we were still there! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you...thank you.
I was travelling on my own and had not prearranged any of the trips I wanted to do, the staff were fantastic at recommending where to go and what to see, the company they use for their excursions is brilliant. The hotel was clean, comfortable, the drinks were lovely, as was the food. The team went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. Francesco runs a wonderful hotel.
The quality of the hotel is excellent. The pool is fantastic and pleasant. The hotel is ideally located for travelling to Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii. Staff are genuine and helpful. Loved the place. X
Beautiful hotel and surroundings!the pool is excellent with staff regularly calling around to see if they can help with anything or bring a beverage down to the pool for you. Upon arrival the staff were very helpful and also gave local knowledge /tips of places and information on the surrounding areas. Very friendly and kind. I requested a vegan breakfast,in the past breakfast has been difficult in hotels, however here soya/rice milk was provided and also fresh vegan croissants with vegan lemon cake for breakfast, freshly made for me ( aswell as the breakfast open to all) so I had various choices I the mornings.the staff In the evenings were knowledgeable regarding vegan options or what they could veganise, which was reassuring and meant no stress!! The rooms are absolutely spotless with fresh towels/linen daily, the balcony was lovely to chill out on in the evenings aswell . Would highly recommend and also right in with the local people, which is wonderful for seeing different culture, handy for trains for touristy places but glad to get back to the hotel to chill. Would love to visit again
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. I couldn't recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were fantastic. So warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Picking you up from the train station, getting cigarettes for you, recommending things to do. They were a joy to see and speak too. The room was a good size and very comfortable, was immaculately cleaned every day. The food in the restaurant was superb both lunch and dinner. Breakfast was basic but plenty enough to sustain your morning activities. The service at meal times was on the whole brilliant. Although the entertainment was nice sometimes the volume was a bit much for dinner. The pool area was great, a nice size not to feel crowded, and the area was well maintained, with plenty of beds, tables, ash trays and umbrellas. The day time staff came down often to see if we wanted any drinks from the bar, and they would bring them down to you. The staff were fantastic with children, always including them and speaking to them, at every opportunity. A special mention must be made to Umberto and Aldo. Both of whom were so friendly and warm, and they were always willing to help in any way, and not afraid to have a conversation with us. Although I found the town itself to not have much to do, the hotel is a perfect base to go in either direction to Naples or Sorrento, and the transport links were great, helped by the hotel dropping us off and picking us up from the station. If I come back to the area (which I desperately want to) I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks to you all for a fantastic memorable stay.
10 min drive outside castelamare, which isnt a great town for tourists and we were told by natives that it wouldn't be so safe. Hotel was fine, but a bit too far out for total comfort, we had to travel into town and get the train to go to any nice places. Not too many facilities at hotel, so hard to spend too much time there. Advertised as having a gym, and after taking my sports gear, I was told it was actually in the town, which is a 10 euro taxi ride both ways at my cost. Thankfully we had public transport 10 min car journey away, you wud not walk it often as it is very uphill and bad roads and not too safe especially at night. We were a party of adults, so of you had children it would be difficult to keep them.entertained. area directly surrounding hotel very run down and no shops bars or anything within easy reach

Dear 1972farrells, thank you for the review and thank you for having stayed in our hotel and having come to our town of Castellammare di Stabia which today is a very visited city for its natural beauty, for its Archaeological Villas (Villa San Marco and Villa Arianna - can be visited) for free, for its strategic position (near the motorway exit, a few steps from the most famous places in the world - Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples, Vesuvius, Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello), for its breathable air without smog, for its proximity to the sea, for its Monte Faito cableway (which can be reached in just 7 minutes), for the port, for its proximity to the train station (10 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by shuttle) which connects a lot well all the destinations…. Dear customer, after the aforementioned description of my city ... of my Castellammare di Stabia ... I CONFIRM THAT MY CITY IS FANTASTIC AND ALSO VERY SAFE ... as well as VERY ECONOMIC. In reference to your observation on the services of my hotel I confirm to you how much you could do and you could have FREE (to spend your time well and in full relax): - The swimming pool with massage shower; - Solarium with sunbeds and umbrellas; - Tennis court with rackets and balls; - Library with books and newspapers also in language; - Room with terrace and also with Vesuvius view; - Plasma TV with foreign channels; - Gym and wellness center (which was not included in your booking with your tour operator - so it was extras); - Thailandese massage (on rfequest and extras); - WI-FI in all areas of the hotel to watch movies or download your favorite music; - Internet point to be always connected with the whole world and / or print the flight ticket; - Finnish Sauna Vesuvio (extras to pay); - Dinners with live and outdoor music; - Shuttle to the local train station; - Shuttle to the port to go to Capri (extras with special rate); - Our seaside Lido with umbrella and sun bed (extras with special rate) ... These are the services that my hotel offers to all customers ... like you .. !!! But I have a doubt ... WERE YOU MY CUSTOMER? .. AROUND MY HOTEL THERE ARE: - A 15th century church; - A cathedral; - A pharmacy; - A supermarket; - A bar; - A tobacconist; - A bakery; - The skeleton of the famous "Hotel Delle Terme" which for 40 years has been home to well-known personalities from the entertainment, fashion, sports and politics sectors who came to relax, to do massages with thermal mud and drink our thermal waters, that still today are present in the city center .. and then the famous cornettificio, visited by many travelers of the world .. who come to eat the famous "clip of Pupetta" (a few steps from the hotel entrance) ... STILL ASKING ME ... IF YOU REALLY WERE HERE FROM US !!! We are waiting for you to really spend a week of true RELAXATION ... AND OFFER YOU A WELCOME DRINK. Greetings from the beautiful city of Stabiae Francesco Donnarumma/Owner and staff of Europa Stabia Hotel/Sure Collection by Best Western
We spent a week here and what a week. Our room was perfect, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, we really looked forward to breakfast and dinner in the patio restaurant, where the service was amazing. After a long day walking around the area. It was great to come back to the hotel and have a long cool refreshing soak in the pool. We cant thank everyone at the hotel for making our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all, our sincere best wishes.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and had the most amazing time. It is an excellent base for travelling and exploring the Naples coastline, as well as a great place to relax in a lovely mountain area. The staff really make this hotel- so friendly and helpful. The owner Francesco met us on arrival and all staff were really friendly throughout our stay, smiling and saying hello. This hotel is not in a tourist town which we liked but the bus shuttle service means that you get lifts to the train station Via Nocera where you can travel to Pompeii, Sorrento, Naples etc cheaply and easily. The train station had an English speaking cashier who was helpful and advised us to make sure we stamped our tickets to validate for each journey (avoids a fine). The hotel was kept immaculate and the pool area was never overcrowded with plenty of loungers even when the hotel was full. We even had the pool to ourselves one day! There is a very attentive pool waiter service. The food was overall amazingly good! Breakfast was continental fare (yoghurt with muesli, fruit and croissants with bacon were great choices) and the dinner was so good. We had pasta dishes for starters (size of main portion), main course then the most unbelievably great desserts. My favourite was Caprese cake- beautiful. We ate outside on the lovely terrace most of the time- so relaxing. Umberto and Allessandro were great every night and always served our meals with a smile. Umberto in particular got to know us and made sure he had ‘our table' ready and had our olive oil waiting for our bread. He even tried to teach us a bit of Italian and didn't laugh too much at our attempts at Italian ordering! That personal touch makes all the difference to a holiday. The area felt safe although it is behind an abandoned hotel, that did not bother us- it was a wee oasis of calm and just what we needed after a stressful year. Your holiday is what you make it and we loved this place and would go back again as the small friendly family run hotel vibe was lovely. Recommend going to Villa San Marco, Villa Adrianna and Mount Faito cable car in the town, Pompeii, Sorrento and enjoying the lovely hotel pool area, surrounded by mountains. Enjoy! Just look at the lovely pictures and the food that is waiting- try the salmon and tuna! Yummy!
The hotel is situated among abandoned buildings. I don't know why they think it makes sense to do business there. You will feel scared as you climb your way to the hotel gate. Breakfast is sub-par. You get your coffee from a machine and not from a human being like most Italian hotels.

Misterd45 , Dear customer, traveling means getting to know other countries, other ways of living, other people and therefore gaining experience. Experience is also knowing and understanding what makes a people to live and how it does and has done business until today. Our hotel was born as a "spa hotel" because there are n. 28 natural mineral water springs that have allowed many to enjoy the benefits, so our area has been and still is an interesting area for doing business, but obviously for people: - capable, resourceful, entrepreneurs, honest, sincere and loyal (and no matter how much money they have). When you chose and booked our hotel you already knew where you were heading and you also knew that the hotel was surrounded by old buildings as mentioned in all the reviews posted on the web. I am sorry that you wrote this and I am also sorry that you did not like our breakfast which, again on the web, is very much appreciated and well described by Italian and foreign customers, but perhaps you are not used to reading, not even the hotel regulations that prohibit the introduction and consumption of food and drinks from the outside (in fact you did) and prohibit the use of the pool during closing times (and you asked to do so) and not to park the car in a private area without notifying and you did it, but after a check by one of our vigilantes you proceeded to warn and also to pay off. My staff and I dedicate ourselves every day to our good customers like you and we regret to learn that perhaps out of spite things are written untrue and it is enough to read the comments of other travelers to understand it. Thank you for helping us make our services better and better. Greetings from Stabiae.. Francesco Donnarumma/Owner and staff of Europa Stabia Hotel/Sure Collection by Best Western
Sad that staying at hotel Europa actually was the worst part of our holiday this year. Hotel is in a very rough area- approaching the hotel there are abandoned buildings with smashed glass and your actual view from the main hotel reception is of one of the abandoned buildings. On arrival we had Francesco the main manager gushing over us saying ‘treat this as your home' ‘you want to go to Sorrento? We take you on our free shuttle bus service'... we were pulled in and thought how lovely! We booked on to this straightaway at reception and were told this service to Sorrento is free it leaves at 9.30 or 11.30 in the morning. Anyway in the morning well, the shuttle bus service is a bit of a joke- it is literally a ride in the back of a small car to the train station nearby Nocera- we weren't told any of this and when we got out the car I asked my partner ‘is this Sorrento? If it is I don't know what people are talking about as it is a dump!' Nocera is not a nice area at all and bearing in mind two girls just dropped off in this rough area, well I didn't feel safe at all- the guy who dropped us off didn't even take us to the station he pointed and kept saying you walk up there- we did exactly that we walked to what I would describe as a small graffitied station with no English speaking at the counter- it was lucky there is literally one train line because no one was helping us figure out what train to get! We have travelled a lot around Europe but I can tell you now the Italian train service isn't up there with the most efficient- we waited 45 minutes for a train then chanced it jumping on one we thought was the right one- thankfully we were right and we then journeyed 25 minutes to Sorrento- bearing in mind the hotel tells you virtually on their website they take you to Sorrento these trips began to take their toll and made our stay in Italy this time quite awful. Food for us was a bit of an issue at the hotel. I'll just set the scene of this for you- the area the hotel is in has no little restaurants that are easily accessible to walk- perhaps if you are a burly bloke and you feel comfortable walking past groups of moped riders hanging out at the bottom of roads- we did not. We ventured out once in the local area to check it out to scope out places to eat for the upcoming week- we saw some truly beautiful Italian sites- saw the police pulling over one of the moped gang members (how lovely!) and nearly got run down trying to find a route from the hotel that didn't mean walking down the side of a road- extremely dangerous walking there are no pavements just road and one route was through a tunnel- honestly you can't even make this up! So if we didn't eat out on the excursions we were stuck using the restaurant facilities. Restaurant on site has a very limited menu- it doesn't change either- there is no pizza on the menu or burger. Also quite pricey- most starters 10-12 euros with mains starting at 18- 22 euros. We went down to eat one evening and my partner ordered a squid dish which was horribly over cooked. In all fairness to the serving team they apologised profusely and went about ordering a new meal for my partner. This new chicken meal took 20 minutes to come out- so my food had gone stone cold as I didn't want my partner eat by herself.. anyway the dish came out looked amazing. Until she cut into the chicken and the chicken was undercooked. I've put a picture on of this meal. Anyway the restaurant was very busy this night so I thought I won't embarrass the staff by talking about how we have just been served raw chicken... we went to the top reception desk just to make sure we weren't charged for these meals and to voice a concern about service. Now I am not a shouty person and I don't have what I would deem a loud voice- when I started explaining to the man on reception about what had happened he silenced me by saying ‘ you need to calm down now.. calm your voice and quieten down' I honestly didn't know where to look it was so patronising and condescending (and I'm not here to throw in the sexism card but I wonder would he have spoken the same way to a man?) I said to the man ‘this is the normal tone of my voice and I have not raised it.' He then gestured with his hands for me to again lower my voice.. the mans explanation for the chicken being undercooked was ‘well hotel restaurant is very busy tonight' what an absolute joke! Safe to say we got the meals taken off. I wanted more to be done to be honest like an apology but it never came from the member of staff- I have never been spoken to in that manner by any hotels I have ever stayed in. It upset me a lot and it completely ruined that night as I thought about it all night how I had been spoken to. It is unacceptable and I certainly would not like anyone else to have that experience. Safe to say we didn't order from the restauraunt again- I asked at reception if they would order us a takeaway pizza in (on another review on here someone said they had walked to a pizza takeaway spot) the hotel refused and said we needed to use the restaurant. So we managed to get just eat Italian to work and ordered the pizza ourselves. It was delivered to the front gates at a reasonable 20 euros for two foot long pizzas and large chips. The hotel was not happy and said we couldn't have pizza in the main area. I explained the reason why we had pizza was because my partner had been Served undercooked chicken at the onsite restaurant. This was batted away with ‘yes, yes, yes but you can't eat pizza here' (how caring!) we happily took the pizza up to our room. Just to give you an idea of taxi prices for different ventures- sometimes doing the whole going to the little station and getting trains is too much.. Taxi to Pompeii- 25 euros. We asked the guy how much it would be for a taxi to Sorrento he said 70 euros (lol) taxi ride from the small station to the hotel 10 euros. So in summary this is not a good place to set up base for travel- talking to some Italians they told me that where we are hotel wise is in such a rough area ( was thinking great to find this out now!!) they advised next time to avoid paying too much for a hotel stay in the village piano and stay there because from piano it's 20 mins walk to Sorrento and not as expensive as Sorrento. Plus it's beautiful. Hope this helps!

kind Klb61312, thanks for the long review you wrote and that took up a lot of your time. Time is precious and important for everyone, so I will answer in a short time telling you: - the excuses for the chicken that you found raw you received from my staff at the restaurant; - the raw chicken that other guests also ate and enjoyed that night did not pay for; - the information we give both myself and my staff to all customers upon their arrival and always during their stay "are clear and never misunderstood"; - in all the hotels there is the prohibition to introduce food from the outside both for the safety of the guest and for hygienic norms. For your other observations you have written, I can only invite you and all readers to read the reviews on the WEB (different sites) and that there are about 1400 where it will be possible to find many answers (eg where our hotel is, how our shuttle service works, in which direction the train goes, how much the train ticket costs, how much the taxi service costs, what's nice to visit in our city, how we eat, how we respect every customer both man and woman) Thank you for being here with us in the hotel in Castellammare di Stabia (city today SAFE - there is no tourist tax, there are 2 very beautiful archaeological excavations, there is a beautiful tourist port, there are ships that leave for Capri every day , there is a cable car service to a Faito mountain, there is a beautiful promenade with many restaurants, bars, pizzerias, ice cream parlors, wine bars, discos, shops of all kinds, churches, historic streets,) that you have definitely booked after having done your research, considerations and even after having traveled a lot. If you wanted to go to another destination instead and you chose (for reasons unknown to us) our destination and this made you unhappy ... I'm really sorry but I thank you for coming. Greetings Francesco Donnarumma/Owner and staff of Europa Stabia Hotel/Sure Collection by Best Western
Hotel Europa castellammare di stabia is a charming place. When we arrived, the owner greeted us. Francesco is gentleman, a wonderful person for whom customer satisfaction is a priority. It is a small hotel - 40 rooms. We had a large room with a terrace. Spotless everywhere which should be a model for other places. The hotel has a free swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers, showers and a changing room. Surrounded by a beautiful garden with rest areas, a tennis court. The food in the hotel is great. Starting from a rich breakfast. On offer: cereals, ham, salami, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, delicious marmalades, yoghurts, fresh fruit, pancakes, wonderful home-made cakes, various types of coffee, tea and juices. Lunch also has a large selection. Dinner deserves a Michelin's star. If you need a line of advice, the owner Francisco and the rest of the staff will be happy to help you. The hotel is a wonderful base for trips to Sorrento, Capri, Naples and other places nearby. We are so overwhelmed by this place that we will be back in September next year. Special thanks to the owner Francisco and the rest of the staff: Francesca, Rafaele Pio, Rafaele, Carmine.Marcello.Umberto, Alexandera and all housekeeping.
The hotel was nice and clean with a clean little pool, the rooms were nice and cleaned every day. The staff on first impression seemed very helful and friendly but they wasn't much help when we wanted to book a boat trip to Amalfi. They told me that it would be booked and I would receive a text to download a voucher within a few hours after requesting, we having left the hotel and waiting til early evening we had not received any texts or heard from the hotel so I decided to call them and that's when they told me that they was unable to book the trip for me because of bad weather. I think the hotel needs to work on its communication with it's guests as this left us feeling they forgot to book the trip altogether because the weather was 29c all day and no wind which left us confused as other boats were running fine. Overall the hotel was good but we just felt a bit let down because of the lack of communication with it being our last day and only finding out we could not go in the evening did not leave us with much to do on the last day if they had of told us early we could of booked something else. I am disappointed we didn't get to do everything that we wanted to do in the time we were here which is a shame! If you are going to book an excursion book it through another company and not the hotel!
My daughter and I have been doing a tour of Italy, we stayed here for 3 nights. What a gem the best hotel by far on this holiday. The hotel is beautifully decorated, really clean and lovely food but the best thing was the staff , so friendly yet professional, we were made to feel so welcome, even the owner came and greeted us each day. A special thanks to Umberto in the restaurant, what a lovely man, so happy and helpful. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay in the future.
We were overall really satisfied with the hotel and the service. Our room has always been clean and if you had an extra wish the employees did their best. Everyone was really polite and even the owner of the hotel was sometimes there, also really friendly and down to earth. Breakfast was good, dinner was delicious too but due to the 3 course menu it took quite a long time until you're finished. I would recommend to book this hotel and I would totally come back again someday.
What can I say... it was perfect. We decided to visit as the reviews were glowing, and let me tell you. They were not lying. We were treat like royalty. Greeted with a kiss on the hand by Francesco and told we were now family and that is exactly how we felt the entire trip. The rooms were nice and cool, spotlessly clean and anything we needed such as an extra towel or pillow was immediately brought up. The hotel was beautiful, the view of the mountains was breathtaking. The shuttle service was fantastic- even going out of their way to pick us up out of the usual time as my mother was getting tired, and everyone really helped us with things to do, recommendations of the area and they just made us feel very looked after and safe. Breakfast and diner was amazing, on the first night there was live music with a saxophone player/singer who came over and sung to my mother. The best part was the people. Every single person we met was so kind, funny and friendly and couldn't do enough, by the end, it was like leaving close friends, and we can truly say we'll miss everyone. We usually like to try something new with our holidays and go to different hotels, but it's safe to say, we will be back here and for longer! If you want to go to a beautiful hotel, with wonderful people, food, rooms and service, this is the one. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special.
My partner and I have spend a week in the hotel. It was excellent value for money, the hotel was clean and the food was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the local train station- it's a 30 minute train ride into Naples city centre. Villa San Marco and Villa Arianne are within walking distance and are worth the trek. Overall a great trip!
Lovely helpful staff, great food and the quality was excellent. The room is clean, functional and the room service is top notch. All rooms have balconies and with ours we overlooked the Italian hillsides. Beautiful. Earplugs may be useful as the Italians like their horns!
Recently stayed at this hotel and the whole of the team were fantastic .Food was amazing hotel and its gardens including pool area are spotless .Pick up service too local town and trips sorted by reception staff very professional .The people who own and run and work at this hotel are the most professional and helpful people in all our holidays so far .Dont be put off by the entrance because of the closed hotel as you arrive because theres a big surprise waiting when you get passed that this fantastic hotel and ALL of its staff
The hotel is surrounded by abandoned buildings and it can initially give a daunting impression but do not let this fool you, the hotel itself is brilliant! Upon arrival the staff were very professional, friendly and gave us a warm welcome. I went with my partner and both her and I found the room size to be good, the facilities available were also pretty good. The pool is not large but neither is the hotel - for the amount of residents in the hotel you never had to worry about getting a sunbed or the pool being crowded so this was not an issue at all. The breakfast was pretty good, if you wanted a cooked breakfast you would find yourself disappointed and even though there was a cereal bar the bowls were no larger than ash trays and when I asked for a larger one the request was denied which was a shame considering they must have bowls available for when they serve other meals later in the day. The selection of pastries and cakes however was excellent and really tasty so we never went hungry for the start of our day! Around the hotel there is not a great deal to do but the hotel offers a free shuttle bus service to the local train station, the train tickets were very cheap too so we were able to use this hotel as a great base for travelling to Pompeii, Sorrento and Naples. Which is perfect for what we wanted. My advice would be to either take advantage of the restaurant on site or eat whilst you are out in the day because the surrounding area has a few takeaways and not a lot more. The shuttle service was amazing, we went to book for the 9:30 shuttle and it was full but the hotel immediately set up a new one to take us at 9:45. The hotel were very accommodating, another example would be when we went to use the pool for the first time we did not know it closed at 6. A member of staff came to tell us that it usually closes at 6 but they told us to relax, enjoy and continue to use the pool for the rest of that evening. We were in there until about 7 and were very grateful! Any questions we had we did not feel afraid to ask because the staff had a pretty good knowledge of English and so were able to engage with us in a friendly manner. Finally, on our last night we went to book the taxi to return to the airport but they had already taken care of our transport and informed us they had packed us a breakfast because we were leaving at 4am in the morning. Could not recommend this hotel enough, only reason it did not get 5* was a few small issues with the breakfast (lack of proper cereal and cooked options) and not much around the hotel. Besides those small, small issues it was genuinely amazing! Thank you Hotel Europa from Frazer and Zoe!
Had a wonderful stay at hotel. Exceptionally clean, good food happy attentive staff who would always go the extra mile to assist. Nothing ever too much trouble. Hotel location was good for visiting Sorrento, Capri, Pompei and Napoli etc...Free shuttle bus provided to the Train Station at certain times. Free WiFi and safe in your room. Quite air conditioning in the room. Had to ask for porcelain cups for tea/coffee available in our room. Fridge not accessible in the room.Swimming pool not very big but keep clean. Toilets not easily accessible to the pool area. Beautiful views of the mountains. Thanks to everyone who made our stay a special holiday experience.
This was our second stay at the Europa and we enjoyed it just as much. We love the setting of the hotel, with beautiful views over the mountains in a traditional friendly Italian village. The hotel has a lovely new swimming pool that we enjoyed most days, particularly our young daughter. The rooms are cleaned every day to a very high standard, credit to the house keeping team. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast with nice home made cakes and a good selection of products. But what makes this hotel truly special is the staff and wonderful service, nothing is too much trouble and every single member of the team are welcoming and attentive. A gem of a hotel in a special part of Southern Italy.
I chose this hotel based on my budget and the reviews. I was not disappointed. The hotel was clean and very well maintained. The staff were exceptional, bending over backwards to help us and print maps, timetables and give any advice when asked. This is a family run hotel which maintains a warm and friendly atmosphere and where the guest feels invited into the family. The old-world charm of the proprietor was a lovely surprise - it's been a long time since anyone has air kissed my hand and so graciously welcomed me into their home. My friend and I were made to feel like treasured guests. As mentioned in other reviews, the area around the hotel is not visually very pretty and does give the feeling of being very run down and neglected. But once you get passed this area and onto the harbour front you can see there has been effort put into rejuvenating this town. On a Sunday the streets are deserted but on other days, it is a bustling hive of activity and interest. Don't expect a holiday resort, this is a working town with few frills and great as a base if your not bothered about a night culture. ( Sorrento is easily got to if you fancy a night out) We visited a restaurant for lunch on the sea front - Mumma Mia's - and had the first taste of what was to be a long line of ‘best' pizzas in various restaurants whilst we were in Italy. We found the smaller, local restaurants off the beaten track were the most interesting and comfortable ; Providing a relaxing atmosphere and a feeling of immersing yourself into the culture and lives of the Italians. The hotel provided a shuttle service at 9.30am to the local train station where, for a few euros, you could get quickly and easily into Sorrento, Pompei, Herculaneum, Naples and any other coastal town between Sorrento and Naples. A shuttle was also available for pick up at 5.30 or 7.30pm for any returning, weary hotel guest. A great service that is provided for free. The walk to the station is 20/25 minutes and very do-able if you prefer to walk (which we did). As two females, alone, we never felt threatened or unsafe. The hotel can organise excursions and we personally found that they were good value, especially as you get transport from your hotel. We did organise our own trips to Pompei and Herculaneum as we didn't want to be constrained by times and wanted free-time to wonder round at leisure. The excursions would have given us 2 hours in each place and we wanted to spend longer. We booked a 2 hour tour for Pompei with queue jumping for 12 euros (this didn't include entrance or transport and was booked in Sorrento at the main ticket office outside the train station) this gave us the run down of history and events and then allowed us to remain at the site, exploring, until our legs and feet gave up! Overall it cost us about 30 euros - a tour from the hotel was about 7 euros more which covered the door-to-door transfers, so very reasonable if you only want a couple of hours visit. We booked the Amalfi Coast Boat tour through the hotel which involved taking a scenic boat ride along the Amalfi coast stopping off for 2 hours at Positano and 2 hours at Amalfi. Well worth considering as it's a great way to see other villages and the coast of Italy. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel which made the long day more relaxing as we didn't have to worry about getting back and trains etc. The trip back in the boat was very uncomfortable as the sea swell was quite large making it a bit of a roller coaster ride. I should of sat outside! I'm not a good traveller but I managed not to disgrace myself- just!- but a few of out shipmates were not so lucky. Worth considering if you have a queasy tummy as there is a coach tour too that might be a bit less exciting but kinder on the stomach. I'm glad we did the boat though as the views were amazing ❤️ Positano and Amalfi were stunningly beautiful and very steep, great for the diet but not so great for bad joints, so be prepared if you have mobility problems as there are lots of steps and tiny alley ways. The hotel breakfast was buffet style and bountiful, there being cakes, croissants, cereal, fruit, toast, pancakes and hot food as well as a cold meats section and drinks. Everything you need to set you up for a day of exploring. We opted for half board as it seemed reasonable. And I'm so glad we did! After a long day exploring we weren't fit for much else so were pleased we didn't have to venture out again to find food. You had a set menu each night that changed daily. The choice was between about 5/6 pasta first course meals, then 5/6 meat second courses and a buffet salad you could help yourself to. For dessert you usually had the choice of fruit salad or a homemade sweet like tiramisu, torte or Panecotta. There were also a vegetarian set menu and a vegan set menu. The food was plentiful and tasty :) I tried swordfish, squid and cuttlefish as part of my meals with beef, chicken and pork fillet also being available, plenty of choice for all pallets. I've rated this hotel 4/5 as it is an excellent hotel for the budget traveller, if you picked it up and put it on the seafront in Sorrento you would be paying 3 times the price for the same quality and facilities. It definitely earns its 4 star rating in my opinion. All that was missing was an evening stroll to a sea front bar for a relaxing drink - it was more of a hike, do-able but not relaxing after a tiring day - though you could get a taxi if you didn't fancy the walk :)
Stayed with Francesco at Hotel Europa with 25 students from the US. Carmine and Francesca were very responsive with our bookings. Francesco, the owner greeted us personally on arrival. The staff, including Rafael, were very attentive and polite. Carmine went out of his way to make sure we had plenty of low cost activities in the area. This is a family owned hotel, and the invitation to be part of their family felt genuine! The hotel is located behind two large dilapidated state owned hotels which gives the area a run-down feel. The Hotel Europa itself was quite nice. It was mid May, and the pool was not yet open. The town behind the hotel is charming, with narrow streets and family-owned restaurants. The mountain to the East and South is impressive and beautiful. It was a wonderful place to stay, off the beaten path, and budgeted well for student groups. Umberto, the manager of the restaurant was very kind. The breakfast food was very good, and he seemed to enjoy having 25 students converge on his place in the morning. He even cranked up popular music to help the students “wake up”.
Spent a week at this Best Western hotel.Francesco the owner was always on hand to advise or assist and successfully achieves his aim to make you feel comfortable and at home. The staff are fabulous ..most especially Aldo!! The rooms are clean and have everything you need.Breakfast was adequate..dinner is available but we chose to eat out. There is a sauna on the roof top...my husband assures me it was fantastic! It is a shame about the two derelict hotels out the front of the hotel....you need to look past these however as the accomodation provided is certainly well worth it! We do intend to return as it is a fabulous base from which you can go via train...cheap.....to see the sights. Thank you all for such a wonderful stay!!!!
This is a very welcoming hotel, where the staff go out of their way to assist and help you in all of your needs. It is located in a lovely and well maintained grounds and a good place to stay for a short break, that gives you access to many of the tourist attractions in the area.
The hotel was close to the center, the hosts I could not fault, an amazing greeting upon arrival and could not do enough for us, super available. Fantastic structure and services. A great stay would definetly return.
we have just returned from the europa hotel, we really enjoyed are stay, staff couldent do enough for you, rooms are plenty big enough for a couple, with nice size balcony, we were at the back of hotel view was fantastic looking at the surrounding mountains and cable car,
Just returned from a fantastic holiday visiting Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. The Europa Stabia Hotel was a lovely hotel and a great base to visit all the places I mentioned. The Europa is well appointed and clean with a quiet pool area in lovely gardens. I can't praise the staff enough for their friendliness and help throughout the week. The reception staff, nothing was too much trouble for them to help and for advice given. Aldo, behind the bar was just brilliant and friendly. We had a good continental breakfast every morning and ate dinner most evenings which was of good quality and varied. Again I can't praise enough Umberto and Francesca who waited on us every mealtime in a friendly and courteous way. Francesco, the owner always had a word whenever he saw you, and is very obviously proud of his hotel and the service it gives, which more than makes up for the slightly disappointing area that surrounds it. If you're wanting a good hotel, great value for money and a central base to visit all the above places, don't be put off by all the negative comments about the surroundings. You'll pay two or three times the price or even more in Sorrento, but probably not as good hotel!
My partner and I booked this hotel in celebration of me completing my masters degree and also a pre-wedding holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, particularly Aldo F who works behind the bar. The receptionists were very helpful with regards to directing us to local facilities and the hotel offers a free shuttle bus twice a day to the nearby train station. We had a nice view of Vesuvius from the balcony of our hotel room however, to the right there was an abandoned hotel. The hotel was lovely and very clean, the seating area outside was beautiful and the rooms were cleaned daily. We went to the hotel restaurant on the first night and found that they had both vegetarian and vegan menus which was a relief as I am a vegetarian and often find it difficult to eat abroad. However, I didn't like the dish I had ordered which was nobody's fault as I am a fussy eater but the staff were fantastic and insisted that I order something else, although I declined. We took the free shuttle bus to the train station the next day and the trains were easy to configure. We had a wonderful day in Sorrento and Capri however, we were late returning for the free shuttle bus back to the hotel. This was no problem as my partner rang the hotel and they came and picked us up for a fee. We went to the restaurant again that evening and I ordered from the vegetarian menu however, after a couple of mouthfuls I realised that there were very small bits of meat in the food. As I haven't eaten meat since my childhood it was very upsetting and made me quite sick. The staff were very apologetic and the owner offered us to have a free meal in his friends restaurant in town. However, it was a seafood restaurant and being a vegetarian I do not eat fish either. We assured the waiting staff that it was not their fault however, the chef should have known and possibly apologised but did not. As an apology, we had some things removed from our tab at the end of the holiday which was appreciated. In general, the hotel is lovely but the immediate area around is in a bit of disrepair. We had a wonderful time and really appreciate the kindness of the owner and the staff working at the hotel. I would certainly recommend the hotel to those on a budget who want to visit Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples as, for the price, this hotel was fantastic.
The hotel is very clean, rooms nice size great view from the room at the back of the hotel. But the hotel is hidden behind 2 abandoned hotels which spoils the view from the front of the hotel. To get anywhere you have to get the train. You can get the train to Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii. It's either a 10 min walk which involves a steep hill with no pavement. The hotel does supply a free shuttle to the station which is very good. There is nothing around the hotel. No evening entertainment. The food in the evening isn't very good. Breakfast is lovely. The staff on the whole were excellent except for the restaurant staff. They were more concerned with the coach parties and made the rest of us feel like spare parts. But the rest of the staff were very good, very helpful with anything you ask. There is a lovely pool with good sun beds. If you don't mind being in the middle of nowhere and happy to use the train it's the place for you. But I wouldn't recommend you have the evening meals unless you like cuttlefish which was on every night!

Thanks for the review. Thank you for describing our territory, but not completely. Our beautiful hotel is in a hilly area, the name of the village is Scanzano where there are two churches rich in art and history, many small shops, tobacconists, bars, a large pharmacy and the bus stop to the center, the stop of the bus to Sorrento and also the bus stop for Naples airport. I confirm that a place that has so many little things can not be defined in the middle of nowhere. What were you looking for? Why did you stay for 7 nights and without asking for anything? Our hotel is located in a quiet area, with clean air, away from the smog and stress of a big city, but still it is a short walk from the centre (on foot is about 10 minutes or with the shuttle 5 minutes), we also have a tennis court and a Finnish sauna, a beautiful and small swimming pool with large solarium equipped with sunbeds, umbrella and hot showers. In the city there are many clubs to have fun, many wine bars and restaurants and pizzeria ... Did you ask the reception for this information? Our staff is always available and ready to give information and advice. Regarding the cuttlefish at dinner, I have rechecked all the menus of the week and I confirm that the cuttlefish was only proposed once and I also found that many evenings you could choose your dinner from our vegetarian menu that offers many good dishes and appetizing. Our kitchen and our chef every day always receives many compliments, you can also read from the many reviews that are on the web, and so it is strange what you wrote. It is also strange what happened with the restaurant staff who is always nice and friendly and I am sorry to read that you did not know them well. Our hotel has many individual customers and even small groups coming from all over the world and all receive the same treatment and I'm sorry you had a different feeling from the other numerous reviewers on the Tripadvisor website. I am waiting for a new stay here in Stabiae to take you for a little tour in our beautiful country and in our beautiful city where there are two major archaeological sites (with free admission for all), a large marina where every year moor luxurious yachts of famous people of the world (Mr. Iglesias, Beyoncé, Micheal Bublé, Claudia Schiffer, Valentino, Rod Stewart, etc ...) and a port for departure for Capri, a cableway to reach in only 7 minutes the beautiful Monte Faito at about 1200 mt , many beautiful beaches with crystal clear water, train to reach, in a few minutes, (without stress) the most beautiful and famous places of the Campana region. Is all this NOTHING? To describe your "nothing" I wrote many words and I could write more ... But I wait for you to write them together. Greetings from the beautiful city of Stabiae Francesco Donnarumma/Owner and staff of Europa Stabia Hotel/Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western
We are currently staying at this wonderful hotel. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and there wonderful staff including Aldo and Francesca. They can not do enough for you. The area is not so much for tourism but the shuttle service to and from the station for visiting Pompeii, Sorrento and other areas is second to none. The staff at the hotel are very knowledgeable about the area and transport. I want to take Also home he is a fun person to be around. It is a great base to visit the local areas. What a hidden gem.
Great hotel in an excellent place for excursions very clean with very friendly and helpful staff food was excellent swimming pool very clean very convenient with a free taxi service to and from local train station which gets you to all the major tourist places will definitely be returning in the future
My husband booked this trip for my 40th birthday. We had an amazing week here. I can not thank the staff enough for their attention to detail and friendliness. They could not do enough for us. Our room was spotless. We made use of the pool daily before heading out to sightsee. Local transport was so easy and really cheap. We made the most of the train service. We booked one trip, boat to positano and amalfi, this trip was amazing and well worth the money. The hotel sorted this for us. Food was faultless here and if there was something you fancied that was mot on the menu they would do their best to provide! Loved every minute of out time here is Europa Stabia and eould recommend to others. Thank you so much for making it a memorable holiday.
When we arrived, we had a very warm welcome by the receptionists. We also met the owner who was extremely kind to us. The hotel seemed decent as well, so our first overall impression was positive. The rooms are acceptable and clean, but you have to consider that the hotel in general is rather outdated. The pool is nice, but again outdated since the surroundings of the pool are covered with old, dirty wood. The first night, we made a reservation at the hotel's restaurant which was highly praised by the owner. Unfortunately, turned out that we had paid for unfriendly service and low quality food (ratio price-quality is very poor). We decided not to eat at the restaurant again. For our third and last day we booked a boat excursion to Capri offered by the hotel. The boat trip to Capri was fine. The return to our hotel was catastrophic though. One of the engines of the boat broke down, so we had to wait 2 hours (not knowing what was going on) until we were able to leave Capri with a broken boat. We had to drive incredibly slowly to Castellammare being almost pushed over a few times by big boats. It was an extremely long, cold, and frightening return trip. When asking the hotel for a refund (which I would normally never do), they didn't even want to consider it, so we had to pay the full amount of 180 euros (!). It's simply disgraceful. This hotel wants to keep up the image of offering a peaceful and welcoming place to stay, but when it comes down to actually offering service to their customers, they completely fail. Hope this review is useful for both future guests and the hotel personnel.
We had a delightful stay. The hotel is small, staff personable and very accommodating. Clean even by Swiss standards. Our room was spacious, gorgeous view. Good parking. The only downside was the restaurant. It's a residence hotel restaurant. If you're looking for a dining experience, eat in town (after trying to find a place to park). This is a superb hub for the Naples/Pompeii area. An uninterrupted flow of trains, shuttle service to trains is available. Local ruins ( Villa San Marco and Arianna are superb). Yet the hotel is an oasis of peace and calm.
Well located to visit Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvius and Sorrento. We drove to this hotel, parked on a neighbouring street and managed to easily drive to all these places during our 3 night stay. They provided a nice welcome drink on arrival. Breakfast was a decent spread. They also do a variety of excursions for those without cars who want to visit capri/amalfi. Nice view of Vesuvius from the window.
A great hotel with very friendly kind staff who always make you feel welcome. We stayed for 7 nights and found it to be a great location. Much cheaper than sorrento and other hotels along the Amalfi. We got the train into sorrento to eat most evenings at a cheap 2 euros each. The nearest station is Via Nocela which we walked to most days, took about 15 minutes. I will say that the hotel is up a steep hill so if you struggle walking up i would suggest not staying here unless you have a car. If you fancy visiting positano/amalfi i would suggest getting the train to sorrento, just outside the station is a coach that takes you there for 4 euros! Excellent value. Also very easy to get to Pompeii/vesuvius. If you fancy a trip up vesuvius make sure you take the public EAV bus for 3 euros not the other one next door for 10 euros each! The hotel itself was very clean, the outside areas well looked after and sunbeds were great. We didnt really explore the area but felt safe walking around, one man on our first day pointed us in the right direction of the hotel which was extremely helpful (it is a bit difficult to find!) Hotel restaurant is a bit expensive for dinner which is why we looked elsewhere. Overall, a lovely stay in a welcoming and clean hotel in an ideal location. Great value for how much we paid too! Highly recommend.
Lovely family run hotel. It is so nice to have a hotel where the management and staff actualy care about their guest and not the corporate faceless where "it's just a job" nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff or owner as others have said. we stayed on the side which had the blind bend that others have complained about yes we did hear the occasional beeb of a car but it was certainly not all night and didn't disturb us. To be honest we only noticed when on the balcony. Yes it is off the beaten track but with the shuttle bus into town thats not a problem. the town is a little run down and not a tourist trap but again thats quite nice not having every other shop full of "I love Italy etc" tourist TAT. train to pompeii etc a couple of euros each way and run regulary.
We have just got back from this lovely friendly hotel. The manager, FRANCESCO ,was friendly and very obliging with any help you needed. He address new people In with a very warm approach and made you feel welcome. His daughter, FRANCESCA was also helpful. CARMINE was also extremely helpful and nothing was to much for him to do. He was prompt with any task and always polite. Nothing was to much trouble for this man. ALDO was there to collect our bags and take them to our room.he also was a fantastic person to have around and nothing was to much trouble for him. My husband forgot to pack his contact lenses and ALDO, under instructions from the owner, went above and beyond to find a place to get the lenses. RAFAEL also helped by driving us to the cash point one evening when we needed money for the next mornings trip to Capri. UMBERTO AND HIS STAFF in the restaurant give you first class service and always greats you with friendly approach. The food is good and plenty of choice to choose from. THE CHAMBERMAIDS keep the rooms clean and refresh lining, towels, and bathroom soaps etc daily. NOTHING IS TO MUCH TROUBLE FOR THIS HOTEL AND THEIR STAFF. I would highly recommend a stay here. It's local to many thing and easy reach for transport to Pompeii, sorentto and many other tourist attractions. I have never stayed In a hotel where the staff have made you feel so welcome. So thank you to FRANCESCO and all the staf8f at this hotel. I'm sure we will revisit again soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this family run hotel. From the moment we arrived Francesco, the owner, made us feel at home. The hotel is incredibly well-run by his staff - Francesca , Carmine, Aldo, Rafael, Umberto and others. They all speak good English and use it willingly with great warmth and kindness. The gardens are lovingly well-looked after, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms good in size and quality. From our room we had a lovely view of Mt Faito and the town. The pool area was never too busy and the pool itself an ideal size for those days you want to take a rest from day trips. We went half-board and enjoyed a good choice of hot and cold food for breakfast that was supplemented by a range of delicious homemade cakes. For dinner each day we were given a choice of several starters and mains. Both were always of a high quality but we especially enjoyed the sea food. Umberto, runs the restaurant with great efficiency and uses humour delivered in several languages. Carmine, in Reception, worked non-stop to meet our many needs (especially my wife's). Aldo multi-tasked - bar, reception, driver. He did all of these jobs with great enthusiasm and we enjoyed our daily chats with him. Rafael and Francesca were also very, very helpful. Thank you very much Francesco for our wonderful stay - I hope we weren't too much trouble!
Excellent hospitality and service by Francesco and his team. They provided an excellent service and responded to any issues promptly and efficiently. For example on the 2nd night the air conditioning stopped working, they immediately offered to change our room but we said it was too late, they provided us with a fan and changed our room the next day. Provided free transport for sightseeing. Don't be put off by the surrounding derelict hotels, this hotel is excellent value for money and accessible to all the sights and 15/20 mins from Sorrento. We enjoyed walking to the local train station so rarely used taxi. Enjoy your stay there.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights returning home on 14th. The hotel itself is well presented and we where greeted warmly by Francesco and his team who is very passionate and helpful. The hotel is located around 20 minutes from the town centre as it was far to hot to walk we took a taxi to the town centre which the hotel organised at a cost of €20 each way although this was about a 7 minute drive. When we got out of the taxi the meter stated €13 but we where still charged €20 each way. The hotel menu was not to our liking. We did enquire about eating in the hotel which was a combined cost of €100 which included €20 per child for the children's menu.Needless to say we did not pay such a ridiculous price. The lunch menu is limited and will cost around €7 for a simple ham and cheese wrap. Our rooms where cleaned daily but not until around 4.30pm each day which was inconvenient. The area around the hotel is derelict and castellemare is also very run down. If Sorrento and Pasitano are the Manchester city and Liverpool of the Italian coastline Castellemare is very much the Everton. Not a place I would recommend.
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We couldn't fault it. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Everyone was really helpful and friendly and genuinely wanted to make our stay special, especially the Manager Francesco who was extremely kind and helpful. A bottle of red was in our room on arrival. We even had a live entertainer called Gino one evening which was great. The waiting staff especially Umberto were very attentive to our needs as im dairy intolerant. We will certainly return. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and special.
We stayed here at the end of July and can't praise Francesco, his daughter and the rest of the staff highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were very clean and tidy and their attention to detail was excellent. The shuttle bus worked well and they arranged a lovely meal for my wife and I at a nearby restaurant that was excellent too. Well done Francesco and the team - keep up the good work. We would definitely visit again.
Watching the sun set from our balcony over the bay of Naples with its vulcano Vesuvius in front of us, is so relaxing after a day of travel! Enjoyed good meals: a very good risotto and also the breakfast had a vast variety of both local (homemade) and international products. Helpful and very friendly staff who are proud of their territory and are working so hard to share these treasures with the guests. Being located between Naples and the Amalfi coast, it's a very good base to explore the very interesting surroundings and feel at home at the same time. Don't miss out on Villa San Marco and Villa Arianna!
Aldo and the owners Francesco and Francesca were very welcoming at our arrival and during our stay. We were happy about the friendly and relaxing restaurant service delivered by Umberto and Francesca. The food was average -- half board is a must in the summer. The swimming pool area is nice. Our room was quiet and large enough for four people and included a private, panoramic terrace with a beautiful view at the Vesuvius. This hotel is a happy spot in the middle of a neglected area, with a bankrupted hotel close by and a dismissed thermal station aside. It was hard to find access to the hotel the first time. The tennis court is out of order.
Situated in Castellammare di Stabia, Hotel Europa offers the perfect point of departure for exploring the beautiful and exciting places of the Napoli golf and the Amalfi coast. Our family of six were given two light and clean rooms with balconies and wonderful views towards Vesuvio. During our five days stay, we enjoyed the hospitality of the manager Francesco, his family and staff. The professionalism and care of the receptionists Francesca and Carmine, the discrete friendliness of Umberto and Francesca in the restaurant, and the politeness and thoroughness of the cleaners and the rest of the staff contributed to making us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the tennis yard in the mornings and went on afternoon trips to Sorrento, Napoli, Pompei, Vesuvio and Lungomare di Stabia. The hotel is securely guarded and offers a spacious parking. In the neighbourhood there are two abandoned hotels that seem to have been nice holiday spots, so hopefully these will also return to their previous grandeur. Hotel Europa is a little pearl of a hotel, and we will happily stay here again next time we return to this beautiful area.
Recently stayed for 7 nights, first thing you notice is the friendly staff, superb levels of service and helpfulness. Great central location if visiting to see the region, nearby town and beaches are great. Clean room with balcony and views of the mountains. A feel of real Italian character of nearby streets and community that surrounds the hotel. The only disappointment was, I hired a car for the week, so hotel charged parking that equated to EURO100. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel. And I hope to visit again.
I recently stayed for 4 nights and most certainly wished that it had been for a great deal longer. The owner, Francesco takes enormous pride in the quality of service that his team provide, as does his daughter Francesca, Carmine who manages bookings and reception with meticulous attention whilst Umberto is a superb Head Waiter/Maitre 'd. I agree wholeheartedly with "Collins305" review. Whilst the comment from a previous reviewer refers to its location and outlook the immediate views will improve as the area is regenerated and frankly for the price paid these are minor detractions that is more than reflected in the value offered. Frankly, it's a bargain but if majestic views and a centralised location are what you are after you will have to adjust your budget accordingly. Breakfast is of the "Continental" variety and plentiful, in the evenings the food served is excellent, local wines are fairly priced and varied. My stay was a genuinely enjoyable experience where I was made incredibly welcome, as if I was a member of extended family. OK, the immediate view isn't great but ignore that and embrace the positive. A lovely hotel, meticulously clean, everything works and the people are exceptional. It's a fantastic base to tour from. I will be back soon.
Stayed for 5 nights in this Hotel. The grounds are lovely and so well looked after. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. The staff make this Hotel. The owner introduced himself and always had time to have a conversation. All the staff are very friendly and helpfull. We took a day trip to Sorrento which was only 30 minutes on the train. Aldo one of the staff was great when he drove us into Town and picked us up again told us lots of information about the local area and pointed landmarks out to us. This is a good hotel however it was just a little bit away from the Town and. some people would not be able to walk there and back.
Stayed in this hotel for 8 nights whilst on business in the area. Its a family run hotel and the staff are very friendly. The location is slightly out of the centre of Castellammare, up on the hill side, but its quieter, takes about 5 minutes by taxi to get into the bustle of the town, probably 15 to walk. The hotel has its own taxi/minibus and can take you into town, the port, if you are going on a boat trip, station, or in my case they took me to my place of work every morning and then back to the airport at the end of my stay. The food was excellent, I ate in the restaurant most evenings, they do a good value set price 3 course meal and the menu changes every day. The head waiter in the hotel is a real character, very professional and seems to take great pride in ensuring that his diners are looked after. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again should I find myself in the town.
An alright hotel and pleasant staff. The hotel is located about 1/2 to 1 mile from anything. It is surrounded by abandoned buildings and a auto salvage business. Who thought that was a good place to have a hotel?

Dear Valid Customer, Thank you for your review and for your question that gives me the opportunity to inform you why come to Castellammare di Stabia and our hotel: - because our location is surrounded by greenery; - because you can breathe good air and without smog; - because our territory is full of art and culture; - because thanks to our port you can leave to go to Capri passing through our wonderful coast; - because our two Roman Villas (Arianna and San Marco) are the expression of a true and well-preserved art..and..Roman-history ; - because it is possible to visit our beautiful Monte Faito which can be reached in just 7 minutes by cableway and go trekking; - because there is a beautiful walk on the sea with many beautiful restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream parlors and wineries. Overnight at our hotel gives each guest the opportunity to take advantage of everything I have listed and also the possibility to visit without stress and with public transport: Sorrento (15 minutes by train), Pompeii (07 minutes by train), Ercolano ( 20 minutes by train); Vesuvio (60 minutes); Naples (50 minutes) ...and Positano, Amalfi and Ravello… ..and all this with a good relationship "quality and price" In fact it is also possible to have a delicious breakfast and to taste excellent meals with our regional products ... that all our customers praise us. We also praise our excellent services ...: - rooms all with private terrace; - some rooms with sea view and Vesuvius view; - large park with lots of green always very nice; - large parking for cars and buses; - rental of electric bicycles; - Tennis court; - outdoor swimming pool with a nice solarium; - Finnish sauna; - "sweet and salty" buffet breakfast - "hot and cold"; - free shuttle service to the city; - internet - free WIFI in all public areas and in all rooms; - professional and multilevel staff; - excellent cuisine. Our Europa Stabia Hotel is located in a hilly area (a 10-minute walk from the center) and within walking distance of: - two beautiful churches; - a small shopping center; - a pharmacy; - a small market, - from a public bus stop; - from small local shops; - from the famous "Pupetta" for its tasty chocolate staples. and our Hotel is located in a thermal park with a spa building (with 28 thermal waters) that is being renovated together with an old hotel of no. 150 rooms. Dear and valid customer I'm sure you understand why up to now hundreds and thousands of customers have been here and have also very positively reviewed our hotel and the location..and considered the advantages of them very much. The travels to all of us are used to explore the places, meet people from other places and their culture to enrich ourselves totally and abandon the non-constructive criticism. Thanks again for being here with us (... but why did you come to us?) We look forward to meeting you all together with my personal and to show you our beauty ... that ... inspired the architects and engineers to build in this wonderful place. That is The Best Hotel at Sorrento coast. We come to visit Sorrento coast for second time and we were wellcomed in the Hotel by the Owner with really nice wellcome drink! We feel all the time very good, because of friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant! The food in the restaurant is amazing! Thank a lot to everybody from Europa Stabia Hotel! We will visit again this paradise family hotel!!!
I stayed at the hotel with my teenage daughter as a last minute mini break. The staff were the friendliest I have ever known in a hotel and could not do enough for us. Francesco, Francesca and Carmine plus the rest of the team were friendly, helpful, caring and just so welcoming. I would recommend the hotel without doubt and hope to visit again soon.
This hotel was a last minute add on to our trip and after staying in other large hotels previous to this one, we were so happy that the staff seemed to really want to welcome our group. The owner met us when we arrived and kissed all the ladies hands as a welcome while introducing himself. The hotel staff were all so hospitable and spoke English well unlike other hotels we stayed at. The service they provided was outstanding as staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The rooms were very nicely done and met all of our needs. When you are with a large group, the larger hotels tend to ignore you and your needs but not Hotel Europa. I would definitely stay there again when in Italy.

Dear Mrs Linda, Thank you ...... for the nice review and thank you for being here at our hotel with the Globus Group. At Europa Stabia Hotel our guests, both individual and group "are customers" and it is important to ensure that your stay is always unique and peaceful. The words you wrote and the perception of the sincere affection that put you in a comfortable condition ... are very beautiful ... and my staff and I are very happy. The groups that come to our hotel are many and all feel the same climate of "family, home" and everyone is happy with the cleanliness, the rooms, the food and the staff that never ignores the requests and needs of all YOU ... Your Globus agency, which also collaborates with other hotels in Castellammare, has booked for your group and we were happy to meet you and I was very happy to have your hand kissed. I'll wait for a new booking and new stay soon. Thanks again for your kind words and thanks to GLOBUS that made us meet. Happy holiday. My friend and I stayed first time at Hotel Europa one week end of September beginning of October we were Amazed by this family run Hotel. They were so welcoming and very friendly. They looked after us so well we felt like home with all. The location is excellent to Sorrrento Pompeii Capri Almarfi coast and Naples. The view from the hotel is stunning of Vesuveus has beautiful surrounding. The transport to bus train and taxi from Hotel is ver near. We highly recommend this Hotel the staff were all very helpful. Thankyou to you all beautiful people at Hotel Europa.
My fiancé and I stayed at Hotel Europa beginning of October for two weeks. I have rated this a five star due to the friendliness and hospitality of the owner Francesco and his staff, Francesco C, Francesca, Carmine to mention but a few. We were welcomed and treated like family the entire stay. We will most certainly return and stay at the same hotel as we felt so comfortable and at ease. Very warm and friendly. The hotel also offers a free shuttle services to town which is nice if you don't fancy the walk although we walked it all but twice. A great base to see and do many things in the area. Must sees include Monte Faito, Stabia ruins, as well as the obvious Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii ruins, Ercolano ruins, Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi Coast and Positano. Grazie Francesco e famiglia!
My wife and I understand and love Italy with all its charms which we believe you have to to fully appreciate the Europa Hotel and its surroundings in Castellamare di Stabia. We upgraded to a room at the front of the hotel and found it to be very satisfactory for our needs. All the staff were very polite and helpful from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Europa is ideally placed for visiting Naples and the Amalfi Coast especially if you're hiring a car as we did, leaving it in Europa' s secure car park each night. We enjoyed our breakfasts each morning and had a very tasty evening meal one night. Thank you to all at the Europa for making it a very pleasant stay. Steve Hallam 201
For the last three years, we have stayed at Hotel Europa. There is no place on earth, other than home, that can compare to the hospitality at Hotel Europa. The hotel is my home away from home. We are always greeted with kisses and even tears, and there is nothing too big to ask of the staff. I can't say enough good things about Francesco and Francesca. They are beautiful people and dear friends. The young staff who are learning the hotel business are so pleasant and helpful. They are receiving excellent training. The food is quite delicious and of a good variety. The housekeeping staff is wonderful. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the rooms are spotless. I even had the opportunity to learn how to make pizza during this vacation. When I stay at this hotel, I have no cares or worries. Life is sweet at Hotel Europa.
This is the third time we've stayed at this hotel. Would not stay anywhere ELSE! What a warm greeting we received on check-in. Our food, service and accommodations were just wonderful! We saw many faces we are familiar with and met a few more! Many upgrades were made... of the rooms and the property! Congratulations on your FOUR STARS! Francesco, Francesca and Carmine did anything they could to make our stay more than enjoyable. They all exceeded our expectations in every way. We already have a tentative return date! It's like 'going home'. Just love it here, and love the people!
