    « Mr Mark Middleton »

Stayed 2 nights. Comfy bed with soft and plentiful pillows. A hearty breakfast and I loved the fresh orange juicer. Of note are the consierges; in particular Jason whose enthusiasm abounded. He delivered a first class service - he is an asset. An enjoyable experience.

    « Well located for WW1 visit »

Hotel was well positioned for WW1 visits and near to a few decent restaurants. Loads of parking and the room was reasonably large and very clean. The staff were friendly but a bit few on the ground as the reception, housekeeping and bar only had one member of staff. Nevertheless Vincent worked hard and managed to keep us happy. I thought the breakfast was a bit expensive at E15 but wished I'd had it as it was difficult to find anything else nearby before 10.00. My low rating for staff relates to the number of them rather than the service they provided.

    « Very helpful staff »

Magali was at the front desk when I arrived way too early for check in. I had been traveling all day on an overseas flight and I was alone and in a foreign country for the first time. Magali let me put my luggage in the office and then she checked if there was a room available. There was so she let me check in early which was a relief to me since I wasn't ready to walk around town yet. Magali also handled my checkout. She made change for me so I could pay for my bus ride back to the train station. Magali was friendly, professional and kind.

    « Paira Daiza Adventure! »

Everything went well and also goes to the service and staff! very clean and highly recommended! Big parking, great breakfast, there is nothing you could complain about! We are surely satisfied about our stay and we will spread it out to other travelers! Ty BW-Staff :)

    « Really disappointed »

This review is for the hotel/resort, not the aparthotel. At first, I was very happy: easy to find, ample parking, nice exterior, clean lobby. Then it was downhill. As numerous other reviews complained, there is only one staff member in the hotel. They do front desk, bar, everything. No housekeeping or maintenance in the evening. Our room stank like cigarettes, although non smoking. The front desk staff said they would get some cleaning products, but never came back. The safe was locked when it should have been left open so we couldn't use it. The vanity mirror was filthy, otherwise the room was clean. Then it gets worse! Our door was not closed when we came home for the day. The cleaning staff left it open! My husband complained and we were given a new room as the locking mechanism was broken! They didn't offer to help nor did they offer any compensation for our door being open all afternoon. When I ASKED for free breakfast to try and make things square, I was negotiated with! I didn't accept their offer of half price and never received an apology. The next day the cleaning staff threw out our leftover pizza (it didn't fit in the tiny fridge), OK whatever. And the fridge door was broken so it would not stay shut. The light kept turning on all night until we shoved some Kleenex in the hinge. Anyway, I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay despite the convenient location to SHAPE.

    « Very good hotel »

It is very good, clean and nice located hotel. I was really surprised the size of the room. Big, well equipped and clean. Very good breakfast (except scrambble eggs, but this is normal in Benelux), very nice and helpful staff. Small bar at the lobby serving very good belgian beer and other alcohol and bevarages. Next time definitely will choose this one.

    « a few nights stay »

we were given a room on the second floor, no lift was available, and so we had to wrestle the case up the two flights of stairs, the room had no view to speak of, just a view across the flat roof and solar panels, there was no restaurant facility, but it had two restaurants close by, but these were expensive. the bar had micro meal on offer, and the desk order'd us a pizza that was nice and delivered for free. the bar was a nice comfortable room to sit in

    « Grand Prix »

We were a couple travelling from the UK very excited to watch the drivers favourite race of the season. We travelled over 12 hours to find the restaurant closed!! Friday night bus of 51 Hungry passengers that they knew were coming and no food available other than ping food that a bar staff member had to cook between serving the bar and servicing the reception. I felt very sorry for the very patient member of staff that had to put up with all of us. Then we move onto the room, clean and just what you want after a long day only there is no air conditioning, it was 36 degrees during the day 31 degrees over night and after a very long day traveling there is no rest bite as you can't sleep in the heat of the rooms. I will NEVER ever in my life go to this hotel again. It was a complete nightmare in the 21st century.

    « Lacking management »

Just stayed four nights at this hotel ,our room was only cleaned on the last day ,and then they did not give us any tea or milk ,we payed for the breakfast but some members of our party did not ,so don,t bother paying as there are no checks ,we could have saved a120 euro ,only one manager on at night trying to do 10 jobs ,people where helping them self,s to drinks ,the bar ran out of large glasses ,we were lucky to have air con but it would not stay on ,I have stayed at 3 other hotels in Mons and this is the worst ,it could be a good hotel but needs a change of management !

    « Service? »

We are currently staying at this hotel whilst travelling to the Belgium Grand Prix. We travelled from the uk by coach....12 hours it took. We arrived at 7.30pm to find the restaurant shut!! No one wanted to trek very far and a coachful of exhausted travellers had one bar man acting as chef, barman, waiter and receptionist all night. So disappointing when they knew we were coming. The rooms are generally clean but with me having rhinitis, dust is a big issue and there is thick dust in places.

    « suitable for a night over »

The rooms are not very large, than again, if you are outside that does not really bother. The room had no airco and was really warm, although it had been a normal summer day. The hotel did install a electrical wind blower to chill the temperature a bit, yet it remained warm. Some power outages occurred, leaving the bathroom without light, no TV in the evening. Breakfast - buffet style - was ok. It seems prices are rather high for this place.

    « Nice hotel »

Hotel is very nice and has a great location, Room was clean as well as bathroom. The only thing is no air conditioning and as it was hot the days before, the room was too warm to sleep although we slept with the window open. Minibar was empty and there was a machine downstairs fro soft drinks. The hotel bar was ok. Breakfast was good and had a large warm and cold choice. Try the warm sausages, they were really tasty

« Fantastic New Year stay! »

I went here for a few days over the New Year period 29/12/16- 2/1/16. Room was very clean, buffet breakfast very yummy and plentiful. I paid very little to stay here as part of a package, so considering it was New Year this was great! Staff very helpful and worked very hard . The outside of the hotel is very clean also...can't think of a negative thing whatsoever.

    « Great stay »

Stayed for one night following a coach trip to Germany on route back to uk. Rooms had fridge/tea/ making facilities/fan and spare pillows. Good choice of drinks in the bar including Belgium beer. I don't think that there is a restaurant in the evening however as we were a big party and had been travelling all day a three course meal was provided and everyone enjoyed it. The Breakfast was excellent. Continental and cooked with the best scrambled eggs. Other appreciated extras for breakfast included fruit, nuts and cans of sparkling water. Staff very friendly. The only disappointment was the English channel wasn't working on the tv . Not the end of the world normally but we had been on the road for hours and would have appreciated a change from chatting snoozing and reading !....Would happily visit again.

    « Weekend away »

We booked this hotel with a visit to Pairi Daisa. We came with our three kids (ages 2-6). We had two rooms with a door in between. The rooms were very spacious and one even had a kitchin. Breakfast was good and gave us a good, start for the day. We stayed two nights and if we are in the neighbourhood again I would be happy to stay here.

« Do not forget your car.... »

A only partially modernized establishment, with a lot of parking space which are needed, since the venue is far absent from the city centre of Mons, without any public transportation. Although the is is only a two to three stories building, a lift would be highly appreciated, especially when traveling with a lot of luggage. Nice breakfast buffet, however could use more seating when all business guest came in at the same time.

« Not quite a "resort", but comfortable »

Mid grade hotel. Clean, quiet rooms. Ample, free parking. Dining room only open for breakfast. Only evening meals offered at the "resort" are frozen dinners, heated/plated for you to eat in the bar or take to your room. Walking distance to two restaurants.

    « May 15 Visit »

Hotel very well situated for a visit to NATO's SHAPE, priced reasonably but no restaurant facility. I was in Rm 208 which was fine facing the car park, however the room was very very hot and I had to have the window wide open all the time, yet no aircon or thermostat that I could find, so it was a little inconvenient. Staff are great and very helpful, did not use gym as went running. Breakfust buffet is fine but is really only meal unless you want the pre-made heated up ones. Very good restaurant in car park of hotel but only seems to be open occasionally! The Meditaranean Reastaurant is across the road and food is OK but seems open all time incl sundays, turn right out of car park and and up the road there is a pizza place about 100m - i did not use but colleagues gave very good reviews. I wanted some shirts laundered but strangely you have to put them in on a Mon and you get them back the following mon, not much good to me but they do have token oprated washing machines available. So in short OK for short stay but I think I would not stay there a week again.

    « A quiet spot »

We stayed here on our way to Holland after visiting the Lens Louvre. The hotel stands back from the road. The staff were very friendly and th rooms were large and well equipped. The only problem we encountered was that there was no restaurant on site and none of he local restaurants were open. We had to drive to find somewhere to eat. breakfast was ok , nothing more.

    « Last Minute Pleasure »

We were on our way from Germany to Ghent and wanted a mid way point to stay and see the Waterloo Battlefield. The price, comfort , cleanliness and quality of this hotel was terrific. It is in Mons which is a nice city to visit, but just a few miles outside the hustle and Bustle of the city. Management recommended a Greek restaurant across the street which was very good and inexpensive.

« Quiet and nice location »

I have stayed here several times and it is a nice location close to Mons, but without all the noice. The breakfast is of good standard and the personnel are very frendly. If you like to walk, this is a nice area to do this. There is not a lot of restaurants around, but I have to recommend the Italien pizzeria in the small village close by

    « Pleasant experience »

The front desk staff is very kind and helpful, very willing to satisfy all your needs. The hotel provides everything you need for a short trip. The breakfast selection is generous and the quality of room is very good. The availability of a cocktail bar, a fitness center and sauna-Jacuzzi complete this experience. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again on a future visit.

« Really friendly hotel, ideal for families »

We stayed for two nights and were made very welcome by Julie the night porter who made some really good recommendations to dine out on a Sunday/Monday night. The apartment was warm and comfortable and included all the mod cons. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the food at breakfast was fantastic; a wide selection of food. Even though we spoke little French the hotel is very cosmopolitan and accommodating. We would highly recommend due to the location to Mons and some great restaurants.

    « Business trip »

Very quiet area, close to SHAPE (Headquarters), 5 Kms from Mons centre. Good price/quality relation ( incl.NATO Rates) Good services, pleasant staff. All expected commodities available. Free Wi-Fi. Free Parking.

« Great Customer Service and good value »

The hotel is located very close to SHAPE and has plenty of parking. Our room was well appointed and modern. We had an extra bed added for our younger child and there was no charge which was really nice. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The best part of our stay was the front desk clerk, Julee (spelling?). She met us with a smile and even placed an order for pizza to be delivered to the hotel for our dinner. After a long drive that was the perfect meal for us. We would recommend this hotel. We do suggest that the mamagement get a brighter light on the sign at the street so it is easier to spot after dark.

« Good rooms, breakfast could be better. »

We stayed here just one night. Friendly staff, a good clean room - though slightly outdated and small bathroom. The breakfast offers a wide range of products, but the quality could be a bit better. Also eggs, bacon, beans and sausages were cold.

    « An average place »

Beware - the place has no A/C so if you're booking this place in the summer, you will probably be using the fan they supply in the room. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is workable. The WIFI is a decent speed with good coverage throughout the hotel.

    « Business »

Our welcome to Mons was not very welcoming. The staff was unfriendly and unsmiling, if not indifferent to the business that we brought to them. (We were part of a large group attending a business conference) There was not an iron available to any of our group, how could that be possible? (They are just 20 Euro in the local market) The rooms were small, but clean-ish. (There was some mold in the shower and the curtain attacked while showering, eww!) There is no air conditioning, though a fan was provided and when the window was fully open and the fan moved in front of it, the room cooled quickly. (It was just 14-15 degrees outside) Breakfast was standard European fare. Nothing special. Back to the staff, it took quite a bit of effort to order a beer from the (well stocked!) bar as the reception desk personnel also served as bartenders. Hard to believe again, that a fully booked hotel wasn't prepared to handle its' guests and their needs. We will certainly book elsewhere at our next upcoming meeting. ALL OF US.

« Very poor customer service »

The hotel itself is clean, although in need of updates. If you could gain the attention of the staff, the would try to accommodate you, but getting and keeping their attention was nearly impossible. And how does a hotel this size have only 3 irons to be shared when their primary customer base is business men?

« Good hotel, very reasonably priced »

Modern, clean hotel with spa facilities. Plentiful, free parking and free wifi everywhere. Standard room has what you need , with tea/coffee making facilities (which aren't usually available in Europe) but the room isn't huge and the shower room though clean is compact. Breakfast is continental, plentiful meat and cheeses available, along side fresh fruit, yogurts, eggs for boiling and a large range of breads and pastries. I had an issue with the blinds in the room as I couldn't work out how to close them, very weird set up and seemed broken, however as we were at rear of hotel overlooking landscaped gardens it wasn't too much of an issue. Really couldn't fault it for the very reasonable charge for two, though do remember to pay the city tax on checking out!

« Good hotel within easy access on foot for local business trips »

I've had the opportunity to stay here multiple times over 12 month period. The rooms overall are of a good standard however lack air conditioning so summer months can be uncomfortable at times. A fan is provided though. The Aparthotels are of a better standard than the main rooms, come with a separate kitchen and living area which is handy if you do not fancy eating out. The 24-hour manned reception desk and the staff are always helpful. The bar stocks some nice Belgian beers and also provides some bar food (pizza etc.). Whilst there are no restaurants as part of the hotel, there are a number of good restaurants just seconds away and the hotel do provide a local map with the locations which is very helpful. The hotel offers a good breakfast, not wide-ranging on the hot options. This is a good location of working on business in Mons or the surrounding villages.
