    « Good hotel »

    We had a two bedroom efficiency suite for the two of us. It was clean and comfortable although the TV was in the kitchen and we watched from the kitchen table. Price was good and we saved money with great breakfast and use of the kitchen. The attached JC Chilling bar and restaurant was a nice, safe, convenient asset.

    We started our 3 week trip across South Africa at the Best Western Cape Suites and we are so happy we did. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, and has a pub with a great atmosphere and food right next door. We needed to pick up our rental car the day after we arrived and the staff organized the free shuttle to take us back to the airport without any problem. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is also a delicious breakfast each morning. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Cape Town.

    IIt all started Upon Arrival at 17:00, The seem to be a mix up with the booking for me, the receptionist said they were expecting me the day after, waited about 30 minutes to resolve this issue, and we were a party of 10 people all booked for the same period, the rest of my colleagues got their rooms. I requested on check and only recieved it later that evening after going back to reception to enquire, the iron that was sent was leaking water, but I used it, even though it was a health hazard, I had to iron my clothes. Day 2 upon my return to the room I found the door open, i reported this to reception, this was concerning for me, however everything was in order and there was a brand new iron left in my room, which I apprciated. Day 3 when I returned that evening found the door open again decided that i will take all my valuables with me everyday, major security concern, after checking all in order, except there was only one towel for use and no soaps, I enquired at reception and the guy assured me that they will send fresh towels and toiletries nothing arrived. Day 4 enquired at reception where's the towels receptionist said they having a problem with towels but he will sort out when I return. On my return door again found open, but all in order, went into the bathroom to check for towels all replaced, but now the shower curtain was gone. reported to reception, but nothing was done, showered without it on Day 5, Day 5 returned to the room, which was again left open by the cleaning staff, checked again all in order. The only good thing about this place was the simple breakfast that we got every morning. The JC bar onsite was also a place one could unwind, and the food was good. Room has very limited sports channels.

    Upon arriving at about 13h25, I was "informed" that check in time was only from 14h00. After I showed the receptionist my booking on my phone app which did not mention any "check in" time, I was inform that our room was now ready. The "room" being a "one bedroom" and not a two bedroom as booked, did not have the "mountain view" I requested, instead looked out over the hotel's garbage bin stage area. DISGUSTING!!!!!

    « Good Value But Poor Location »

    First off, make sure you're looking at the HOTEL part of the BW, not the suites - that's a different experience entirely. BWCSH suffers by being in an area which has pretty much nothing nearby so, if you want anything, you're going somewhere by taxi. Not a problem, as reception will happily drop you off and pick you up with one of their own vehicles or a local taxi service. There's a sign in reception saying that the latter will be at the guest's expense but all my trips were on the house. Note that reception even picked me up from my office to ferry me to the airport at the end of Friday even though I'd checked out that morning. Now that's what I call first-class service, but not exceptional for the CSH staff - nothing is too much effort - must be a Cape Town thing. Anyway, I can't speak for the amenities other than to say that the pool looked cosy and comfortable and that if the quality of the breakfast - a good selection of tasty comestibles - is anything to go by, then the dinner should be highly satisfactory (sadly, dinner wasn't available during my stay so I used the on-site pub/brasserie - very good, see my review of JC Brasserie & Pub elsewhere). The room was, to be honest, merely adequate - even the in-room kitchen was a little disappointing, the one pan available being insufficient to the task of cooking an antelope or something. However, I slept well and found it all pretty comfortable. The bathroom looked like it had been tiled by a child but everything worked. Replenishment of the tea and coffee were a little haphazard but breakfast is available in the mornings (if a little late at times) and you'll be out in the evenings, so no big deal. As a place to stay, it was sufficient, if a little in need of refurbishment. As the rooms open directly onto the outside, noise levels could be high but seemed to stop dead at around 11:00 p.m. Also, wildlife finds it easier to get into your room if it doesn't have to negotiate corridors and lifts; however, I had to wait the entire week before I had a visitor in the form of a single roach, less than inch long. I named him George. All in all, CSH represented pretty good value for money. It's worth pointing out that I walked into the office in CT central and back again each day, passing groups of the politest school children I have ever known and pausing at what I reckon must be the best secret view of the mountains anywhere in the Western Cape. If my employer sends me back to CT, this is where I'll be staying. Edit: my company uses a booking agency and, because payment is made on the credit card supplied at the time of booking rather than at reception, and the name on the booking was that of the agency, BWCSH said they were not able to supply me with a copy of the invoice and that it had to be sent to the agency. Never mind that it was my credit card that was used. It delayed my expenses claim but was irritating and unexpected, that's all.

    The location of the hotel is spot on , the cost is reasonable and the size of the suites is very good . The room I had came fully fitted with everything you would need to make your stay pleasant , the fridge , microwave all worked fine . The staff are friendly and checking in and out was easy and pleasant and hassle free . The breakfast is convenient and has everything that you would require and the staff serving are helpful and friendly as well . On the downside , the hotel is used by a lot of tour groups , school children included from what I see so there is noise but that subsides around 10pm from my experience . I would have preferred a separate shower cubicle but the shower over the bath was fine for a couple of nights and works just as well . There does seem to be a lack of maintenance in the hotel , i did experience a problem with the lock to my room which needed fixing at 9pm but then again quick friendly service got it sorted , more of an inconvenience than a major issue . The auto switch off on the kettle was broken another little annoyance , so to was the tuning on the TV causing ghosting on the channels not a major issue seeing as I was not there to watch TV all day but would have been nice to be able to watch more than one channel without getting a headache . Al round a very pleasant hotel experience and somewhere I would look to stay again when next in Cape Town

    please add biscuit for tea in a room and once sugar and tea used please add more, I only had coffie on Saturday only and It was not added. and you tv it only have 10 channels, so for me it was boring to stay in the house.

    « Noisy hotel, shuttle not there to collect at airport »

    The shuttle was not there to collect me from the airport on arrival despite written confirmation of date and flight time with Thelma Mawile on 16 September 2016. The hotel is VERY NOISY day and night. The room was old, drab and tired. There was a problem with the laundry service, and towels were only made available after 6pm when I had already left to attend my function. The bed was old and uncomfortable. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly.

    The rooms are comfortable. Breakfast buffet is outstanding. Front office staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Shuttle service to/from the airport is very helpful. When the shuttle is not available, the front desk can assist with taxi service. The parking is secure. Access is via a manned gate with two persons to identify guests. The maids are careful. Laundry service is good.

    Very helpful and hospitable staff! My room was extremely spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was good with a very busy bar/restaurant on site with extremely friendly staff. The calamari was the best I have had in a long time. I will definitely come back and stay here next time I am in Cape Town! M. Jullienne.

    I'm generally very fair with my reviews. But I hate being stooged. This place was a hovel. NOTHING like the web photos for a 'suite' Suite? Now maybe I'm naive but a suite generally has an air of respectability about it. If this was a suite I'm Marilyn Monroe. Check in was a farce. There were 3 of us and usually the credit card holder is required to show a passport, as it happened in every other hotel during our 6 week tour. This one demanded all the guests passports and reception was a bit snappy that I didn't have them on me. The person who ' showed us to our room' gave us a key and told us to climb 2 flights of stairs, no help to come with us and show us, perhaps he was worried about what we would think of the 'suite'. When I said we had very large suitcases due to traveling for a long time and was there a room on a lower level he just shrugged his shoulders. The key did not work in the door. I went back to reception and said the key did not work, and asked if they had a room on a lower level. She seemed confused then told me they were fully booked. That turned out to be a blatant lie. Once we got a working key I was shocked upon entering the 'suite' which was a pokey little hole at the top of the building with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom the size of a toilet cubicle where you had to actually squeeze past the toilet to get into the shower and a 'kitchenette' which was grotty. As I had pre paid we were stuck. The walls were filthy, see photos. We were very tired after a long drive and made our escape as early as we could the next morning. Best Western should hang their heads in shame for this pit of misery

    « Good enough »

    This is basically a solid example of 'you get what you pay for.' It is a nice enough hotel for the low rate. It is a bit noisy, thin walls and the structure of the building seems to amplify outside sounds. The front door would rattle constantly unless I wedged something in it. Beyond that, the staff was nice enough, the breakfast nice enough. If you are looking for something acceptable for a low rate, this is you spot!

    The staff was very hospitable and welcoming. We found the rooms very spacious and the beds very comfortable and linen nice and warm. We had the best view of the majestic Table mountain. Within a reasonable distance to the beach and V & A Waterfront.

    This hotel offers self catering units. small but have everything needed. Close to town. Breakfast are great. Also have a bar restaurant which has a great vibe. Would definitely stay there again as it is good value.

    « Convenient, clean and good value »

    We stayed in a one bedroom suite, ie with a kitchen and sitting room, for three nights. The room was basically furnished, very clean, quiet and comfortable, which served our purpose well as a base to explore Cape Town and what it had to offer, as we weren't spending much time in the room. Free parking in a secure lot, close to the room. The breakfast each morning was great, with the usual range of cereals, breads, pastries and most importantly, cooked to order eggs! Downsides were that the hot water in the shower tended to run cool after a few minutes and we had to wait a while for it to reheat before the other showered and the toilet flush was on the noisy side. Internet in the room was frustrating with their voucher system and its multi-step login process each time we connected. For some reason I could connect with the laptop in the room, but not with my phone, although the phone connected easily in the reception/breakfast room area. The one voucher was adequate for our three day stay. The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner whilst we were there, but the adjacent pub served great meals at a good price, so that was not an issue. They had a shuttle bus that you could use to get downtown, the airport, Waterfront etc, but you had to pre-book. Overall a good economical place to stay if you are not looking for anything flashy. We would stay again.

    Hotel location is excellent as it is situated at the heart of cape town, and close to my workplace. Very cooperative staff, and very clean and roomy with a nice view of table mountain. I would like to mention the name of Oliver, Henry, Mike and all other staff in the reception and restaurant who had made my stay truly memorable. Thanks for the wonderful experience will definite visit again.

    We went to Cape town on a family trip in Oct'13 and this place was great! We opted for an apartment with 3 rooms and kitchen and the place was spot on. The pictures they show describe the place perfectly. Good location and friendly staff. And a shuttle to the waterfront - though we rented a car there too. Great value for money - will def go back!

    This is good value for money, the units are nice and clean , breakfast is really good even a free shuttle to the Waterfront. ,my only complaint is the noise, from early morning there are doors slamming and people talking, and furniture being moved, so if you are looking for something peaceful this is not the place.

    « Amazing value in an expensive city »

    I stay here every time I come to Cape Town. The location is easy to get to from the airport or the waterfront. These are spartan and could use an update, but they are also true suites, complete with kitchens. Free (ans substantial) breakfast included in the rate. There is a self-service laundry if you are interested in saving more money. The hotel could improve its wi-fi strength and also its ridiculous voucher system (internet is free, but you need to keep getting vouchers every time you run out of data). Also, just one a.c./heater, and in the living room. So if you choose any of the one or two bedroom units the bedrooms do not share the air conditioning of the living room. But otherwise an exceptional value.

    First, this is not a luxury hotel by any stretch. Is is spartan, but clean and offers tons of so much value for the money. You get a suite (inclusive of a kitchen) for the price of a value hotel room. The hotel also offers a free (and substantive) breakfast and laundry service (both full and self) for a bargain. The hotel is very easy to get to from the airport and waterfront, though it feels a bit out of the way. Staff was very helpful. Two complaints: I stayed in a 1 bedroom. There was just one a.c./heater unit and it was at one end of the suite and the bedroom was at the other. So the bedroom stayed cold (it was winter) even with the heater on full blast. They helpfully provide warm blankets so I was not cold sleeping, I just didn't spend any extra time in the bedroom. The other complaint is about internet. The wifi is weak, which means I could only get it near the window. The other irritant is the hotel's voucher system. Internet is free, but you need vouchers (with passwords) that need to be replenished whenever you use up data. inexplicable! All that said, this is an amazing value in an expensive city.

    « Hotel not as expected. »

    The Best Western Cape suites hotel is rather dissapointing. I stayed here for a few days during the 2016 Cape Cycle Tour. The gentleman at reception was rather untrained and unprofessional. He kept snorting as if he had some sort of sinus problem. I asked him about it to see if it was unavoidable - seemed to be a bad habit of his. After some time we were escorted to our room - again rather unprofessionally. The room we recieved was not what we booked. I booked a studio suite, specifically as the description states this is an en-suite - the room recieved was a corner 'leftover' room. 2 bedrooms, bathroom behind the kitchen (far from en-suite) with a noisy dripping (from overflow) geyser and non functional aircon. Apart from non functional the aircon is not in the main bedroom. In front of the geyser cupboard was the TV, with no place to sit and watch. It seemed to me as if this was a 'made up' with no real planning to add additional rooms to the hotel. Nothing could be done to help with any of the issues above. No other rooms were available - I booked mine weeks in advance.. No one available to check aircon. No couch or decent seating available for watching TV, and no extension or any option for moving the TV to the bedroom (considering the inadequate seating arrangements). As far as the geyser drip / noise goes, i gave up asking - as there seemed absolutely no option of solutions to anything. The beds in both rooms were single beds, I was told arrangements were being made for a double mattress - instead the beds were pushed together. Breakfast was ok. Not disappointing but nothing too wow about. Gate staff (entry and exit) were friendly. Linen, pillows and bed were of expected quality. Albeit - the room I had had nothing of the furniture (headboards / pedestals etc) like the website pics show for any of the suites. The vagrants living on the opposite side of the fence who starred scarringly and bothered us were a little off putting at times. I sometimes wonder if space was out and I was just thrown into a room that was used for other purposes. I will not stay here again, and would not recommend anyone doing so.

    Friendly staff, food counted cant have or ask for extra piece and not a variety to choose from so it makes dietary requirements difficult to control, overall homely and pleasant environment. love the mountain view.

    I've travelled to this hotel with business a few times. Its located not far from activities and VA. You're not in the noisemakers of CBD and close to a beautiful view of mountain. Now, I've visited again with my wife and I will always come back. Fantastic staff, fantastic service and's like being at home

    « Worst Experience in my life (not even kidding) »

    Stayed here from July 2015 until the end of December 2015. Firstly, the rooms are not just dirty, they actually make you feel as if you're in an actual fear factor episode. Cockroaches in every single apartment I stayed in (stayed in quite a few, but more about that later). These cockroaches keep coming back, when reported to reception the first time they did spray some anti-roach stuff which helped for about 3 days. As mentioned I was moved quite a few times due to the fact that all the apartments had to stay occupied at all times (it was a student sharing arrangement type thing), so I'll just go through the complaints in a chronological order. First apartment I stayed in was pretty okay (besides the cockroaches) but very dark and the extreme opposite of cosy. Stayed here for about 4 weeks Second apartment: Stayed here for 3 weeks, Nice view, top floor so not really that many cockroaches, but this apartment was rather small and rooms were allocated in a strange way. Third apartment: Best apartment of all, still a lot of roaches, but together with my roommates we started a weekly full fumigation habit which kept it to a minimum. We did actually have a break-in during the period in this apartment. One of the other guests of the establishment broke into our apartment and walked into my bedroom while I was sleeping. Luckily, I woke up and the burglar left as soon as he saw I was awake (in the end all he stole was a few hundred rands and some other small things). Luckily the management of the hotel did take this seriously, and evicted him the day after. A few weeks after that, me and my suite mates were told we had to leave the apartment within a day, for reasons still unknown. And I was moved to apartment number 4. Apartment 4 was the worst of all. I had to go to reception about 3 times because they hadn't cleaned the room I was supposed to stay in. After their 'cleaning', I moved all my luggage, only to find out that the entire apartment was infested with cockroaches (around 1 cockroach per square metre). I moved on a friday evening, and after finding all the cockroaches I went to the reception to ask them to move me. The exact reply from the receptionist was: "sorry we can't do anything about this now, we can have someone come over on Monday to fumigate the apartment.". Besides that, she told me that the cockroaches only came to the hotel when Dutch student arrived. Obviously, I didn't agree to her 'solution', and I decided to videotape the apartment, and threaten management and Best Western on their facebook page to publish the videos online. After crashing at a friends' place for that friday night, saturday night and sunday night, management decided to place me back into apartment 3. Throughout this entire process, the general manager did not respond to ANY of my emails, and when asking for her 4 times at reception I was told she was too busy to talk to me. In short: If you want to suffer from cockroaches, horrible service and break-ins, definitely go here!

    Been staying at this hotel for 19years now come back every year love this hotel and the service is 5* nothing is to much trouble, We changed are room this year only because of my Disability with the help from our lovely porter William be lost with out the help from what he does for us and other staff too.

    Room was good, bath towels were soft and fluffy, room cleaned daily and complimentary tea and coffee replenished. Lovely view of table mountain from door. Breakfast was good but cold, and had to ask for cups, glasses etc. Staff friendly and shuttle bus was good as too far to walk to Waterfront and Capetown centre. Would try to stay more central next time

    « Disappointed place for stay »

    Unfortunately I`m very disappointed of that hotel. After long trip to Cape Town I had to wait almost 1 hr in reception because man couldn`t find my reservation. When found at once, told me that my booking is cancelled and he doesn`t know why. However he can give me another room. I agreed of course and got room, where on table has been... welcome letter on my name!! In meantime reception man called security guy who should show me where my room is. Unfortunately he didn`t know where it is and we walked from block to block with luggage in hand. Also bathroom was dirty (I took pictures of that). So only space and very comfortable beds were satisfied. In my opinion that absolutely wasn`t standard of Best Western standard.

    The hotel gave us three separate rooms in different buildings, although we had booked a suite for a family of 5 adults for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. It ruined our holiday as the place was filthy with cockroaches littering the place.

    Overall enjoyed the week's stay at the Best Western, Cape Town. Had to use the top pool as the deck was being refurbished of the main pool outside restaurant - not a good time i.e. after 16th Dec to be doing this type of maintenance. Top pool - not enough loungers around pool. Otherwise service and staff very friendly and helpful. The downside of the location of our room was that it faced the restaurant kitchens and delivery of groceries often took place very early in the morning, with the associated disturbance of the trucks and people talking loudly.

    Check-in was slow on 02 January apparently because cleaning of rooms was delayed. The 3-bedrooms apartment where we stayed had only one air conditioning unit and there was noise from the vehicles circulating on the front road of the hotel.

    The hotel was absolutely not what is portrayed on the Internet. After waiting nearly two hours for the rooms to be ready after arriving at 14:00 which is check in time , the rooms were dirty, had broken cupboards ,outdated. I will never consider staying there again.

    Village style hotel with view of the table mountains but what the advertisement fails to mention is how uncomfortable it is . The air conditioning hardly works and is there only in the living room. The bathrooms are old fashioned style the sofas are about to collapse the whole place seem to be in tatters. The first night we could not sleep at all because of the heat but the management was not helpful any it. We had the misfortune of being booked for three nights and got our room changed after a lot of pleading. The breakfast is quite passable but there is no room service. It takes ages for them to call a taxi.

    We have been using this hotel for the last 8 years and have always had a very good experience. It has however gone downhill, we encountered numerous issues the least of all being the mould and shabbiness of the rooms. We will be looking elsewhere for future trips.


    House keeping needs special attention. All staff very friendly and help full. Maintaince are good and breakfast are excellent very nice and a variety to choose from huge .this is really the place to be at for a holiday in cape town. The view is stunning table mountain at the back of hotel waterfront in front just perfect

    The bathrooms were dirty with mold, blood and hair on floors. Toilet paper was only supplied after asking countless times. Carpet was not vacuum cleaned. TV out of order. Furniture old with chipped paint. Roaches roaming about in broad daylight, getting into our luggage.

    I had a lovely stay in Cape town and Best western cape suites had its own highs and lows. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming though we were not given full details especially about the free shuttle to the waterfront which would have been a plus for us. We just heard about it on the last day from another guest. The rooms are nice and clean though bedding were only changed on the third day of our 5 day stay. The restaurant has great meals and the have a bar 'Just chilling' was a refreshing stop over after a long day out. The kitchen staff and restaurant staff are very friendly and very helpful too, was a busy period but they managed to get to one very quickly. It was a good stay would recommend it. The tranquility and peace of this hotel is great.

    A comfortable apartment. Clean, neat and close to town. They do have a bus service to V & A Waterfront, Cape Town International Airport, Camps Bay and even to Table Mountain. We did not use the service bur it is nice to know that it is available. Wifi also a plus. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Very competent and friendly reception staff.

    I was very disappointed with this accommodation, unit was not what I saw on the internet and was very untidy if it had not been peak season I would have not stayed at this hotel. The toilets in the en suite bedroom leaked a you flushed the basin was blocked the show floor was dirty I had to disinfect the shower floor for my children to have a shower and that blue kitchen no lounge and floors were not cleaned the carpets smelt horrible. I will not advise anyone to stay at this hotel.

    We stayed at the Best Western for 8 nights during the December holidays. The service was extremely disappointing. Housekeeping was always a problem. After a full day out we would come back to a room that still wasnt made up. This happened almost everyday. When they did eventually make up our room they would leave without replacing the towels. On a number of occasions we would be left with the same dirty towels. There was never enough seating for breakfast. There is just too much of a dont care attitude going on at this hotel. All in all it was just extremely dissapointing and not an enjoyable stay. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

    With a old run down room full of cockroaches and an air conditioner that didn't work and noisy guests the whole night long, my stay at this hotel was not pleasant to say the least. I will not be stating here again. I've stayed in many Best Western hotels around the world and this was the worst by far.

    The staff are magnificent and the suite is clean and safe but the aircon is nonexistent. Luckily we could have cold showers every three hours to cool down enough for a little bit of sleep. Sadly we did not have time to test out the restaurant facilities but they looked well presented.

    Brilliant staff service. No request was too much, and you were always greeted by a smile. The room had a "tired" look and could do with updating, but facilities were good, and cleanliness was top. Good location, food service and nice small pool areas. Can definitively recommend it!

    Terrible service. Inefficient. Very outdated rooms Poor furniture and bedding 2 families of mine booked only 1 stayed begrudgingly the other had a 3 bedroom and the lounge suite was torn and tattered and the cleaners had cleaned the whole day even though we arrived at 4pm it was a mess

    Found these Flats on as a last resort to our family holiday in Cape Town. Firstly the hotel name should be scrapped out and be replaced with apartments. This Hotel/Apartments is definitely one I would like to stay in it again. We stayed in a 3 bedroom flat which offered no comfort. The best we could do was just to come at night to sleep. Seats were the worst I have ever seen in a 3 bedroom setup. Although it is thoroughly clean, one could argue that proper maintenance, particularly in the bathrooms would give a different look. Breakfast was OK but nothing special as by the second day you will get bored of eating pretty much the same stuff. During the festive season the restaurant was full and there appeared to be no floor supervisor for that matter. guests were not seated, as a result it looked like a pandemonium. Literally, anybody could invite 10 friends from outside and just rock up for breakfast as no body would check that. Despite my mostly cons for this accommodation establishment, I can commend some of the stuff for their friendliness.

    Great hotel right in the city centre of Cape Town. Hotel is located at the base of Table Mountain and has great views of the city and Table Mountain. Hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Green Market Square, where you have great shops, a market for Souvenirs, clothes etc, cheaper than the V & A Water Front, restaurants, Castle of Good Hope, City hall (where Nelson Mandela gave his first speech after he was released from prison). Cape Town Free Walking Tours also begin at Green Market Square. Best Western Hotel has beautiful clean rooms with great comfortable beds, a balcony, kitchenette of your own, with fridge, microwave, cooking facilities, etc (you feel so at home you forget that you are in a hotel), beautiful clean bathroom. The hotel has a beautiful restaurant which provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, a la Carte menus as well as ordinary meals. Room service is available if you are feeling lazy to go down for dinner etc but it will cost you R30:). I absolutely loved their buffet breakfast and the dinners. Thanks Chef! Their Hotel staff are professional, polite, friendly and do a fantastic job to ensure that you have a wonderful best stay. They also organise day trips or tours for you. The Hotel also offers free shuttle service to the airport, Table Mountain and V&A Waterfront. There is free internet/wi fi access, free local calls and conference facilities. If you fancy a swim the hotel also has two very clean outdoor swimming pools and a barbecue area if you fancy having a 'braai.' Next visit in Cape Town - definitely coming back to the 'Best Western.' Would like to thank all the staff and management for their wonderful service and hospitality.

    We just got back from a 9nt stay at the 'best' western. One of the worst places I've stayed. Im not a fussy person, but this place is something else. The microwave didn't work properly, the stove was faulty, the blinds were broken, the shower didnt have a cover on the drain, just one huge hole. Rooms were never cleaned properly. We got home a few evenings after 7 and our apartment was still not serviced. The last 2 nights of our stay, housekeeping had not put the duvet covers on the duvets. After numerous requests, it was still not done. They ran short of towels. There's not enough seating for breakfast, we ended up going out for breakfast because of this. First and last time we stay at theis place!

    Loved this hotel, although it is not luxurious or anything, it was quite comfortable. This hotel is more like a town home community. The rooms are spacious, there's free wifi in the hotel office, staff is nice, breakfast was excellent (buffet style) and the little bar that is located at the hotel is adorable. Such a cool little bar, great patio and there is even a live band. The times that we visited the bar in the evenings, it was a younger crowd. The food at the bar was pretty good too. The staff at the bar could be a bit quicker, although, that might be my "American" way of thinking. Since everything in Cape Town is so relaxed. I have to say, I did not have to deal with the hotel directly, as I stayed there with a group from school. With that said, I have no complaints.

    Value for money as breakfast is included in the room rate. Large room and having a kitchen is a added bonus. Comfortable beds and good quality linen. Safe and secure parking. Overall a great place to stay.

    This Hotel has the coffee in room and kitchenettes, whether the appliances work is a matter of luck. Please note there are no lifts and the walk-in showers are all located on the bottom levels. Until this hotel has upgraded it's cleaning standards and hygiene and maintenance issues, they will not be on par with the Overseas Best western Group. They have nice clean white linen and good breakfast and willing front desk staff, and central location, which were the only redeeming factors. Oh, and the units are larger than norm. I have launched a complaint with Best Western international group, and they have taken it from there. I'm not uploading any pics as I've already forwarded them to the relevant parties. This could be a Fantastic Hotel, though right now, it's just missing the bulls-eye.

    I booked the hotel as it was close to the venue I needed to be at. Check in was ok, not to long. Was not impressed with the room, we were given twin beds ( we were husband & wife sharing ), however we were ok with that as we were only staying for one night. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, floors and bath were dirty. The toilet was not even flushed. The shower was not working. Insect repellents are needed in the rooms as there are way to many flies and moths. Was not impressed with hotel room at all. I have stayed at plenty hotels in an around Cape Town and this is the first hotel ever that I was not impressed with any details.

    We had a very pleasant stay and Mike at the front desk was fabulous. The breakfast was awesome and the pools were fantastic. The location was very central for us as we had a hired car and we were going out exploring every day.

    The staff is very friendly. They helped me in in good way to make a programm for the days I stayed in Capetown. The breakfast was excellent. The location is somewhat outside the tourist-district. The last two days they didn't cleanup my room. And for the transportation back to the airport the shuttle was not available.

    Rooms, dining area and furniture are old fashioned. On the evening of the 10th someone was having a party and it was very noisy without any consideration for other guests. I feel someone from your management team should have stepped in.

    Always happy to come there. Always spend time with my husband when we need to talk or discuss things. the university make use of the facility as well. We go over during lunch time to have a quick coffee and catch up with staff from other departments who we not normally see because of busy schedules.

    Stayed at the Cape Suites for four nights. Requested an airport shuttle (free) and the driver was already there waiting when I arrived. Driver was very friendly as well (same drive took me back to the airport when I left. Great guy!) Overall, had a pleasant stay. Room was spacious with a little kitchenette. The bed was actually pretty comfortable. Staff was extremely nice and made the stay more welcoming. I only had breakfast one of the mornings (not much of a breakfast guy) and it was fine - standard buffet type. Location was good - about 10-15 minutes walk to downtown. There's also a Yellow Hop On/Hop Off bus station nearby at the District Six museum (10-15 minute walk) in case anyone is wondering. Hotel provides free shuttle services (pre-booking required) to Waterfront or Table Mountain. My only complaint is the wifi. Hotel provides a voucher that you can use to access the Red Button wifi. However, the WiFi is extremely slow..too slow. Hotel should do something about the WiFi. Other than the WiFi, everything else was great. I don't mind staying here again in the future whenever I am back in Cape Town - I just hope when I return, the wifi actually works.

    We were four friends that stayed in a two bedroom apartment for one evening. It was just lovely. A perfect get away. Thanks to the Manager of the hotel and her staff for the friendly service. We will be back.

    The price that I pay for a single small room is way too high for what you get in return. An extremely small room with 2 beds and a fixed closet which can't move at all. Location is great though. Furthermore, the facilities are good. 2 swimming pools, a braai, a pub and well-secured fences.

    The unit was very small for four people, one of the bathrooms was broken and couldn't be used. Their where a view burglaries when I stayed at the Best Western and nothing really changed afterwards. They are very disappointing as they act as if they're helpful, but actually don't do anything. The rooms are not getting cleaned properly and you have to call about 4 times before they come back and try it again. No Wi-Fi, no nice looking apartments, no clean towels, no nothing. I am very disappointed.... And would never recommend it to a friend.

    The unit's we were given at check in was not the one reserved and the hotel was fully booked. The Master Bedroom was almost totally taken up by the bed, with little room to move around each other and very limited storage for luggage or clothing. The Master bath was, at best the size of a small closet with a 2'6" square shower cubicle with a single old sink squeezed in between it and the commode. The water pressure at move in was little more than a dribble and it took a couple of visits from maintenance personnel to increase it, which in turn then insufficient hot water for 3 people to shower consecutively thanks to an undersized individual water tank, located in what should have been the kitchen pantry. The room safe was not functioning at check in and required two visits from maintenance technicians in order to repair it and secure our valuables. The onsite restaurant had a very limited menu which, even was not even accurate. The advertised internet was, at best spotty and often non-existent which seemed to be a regular complaint from most guests not just those in our section. Very frustrating and stressful visit. Best avoided.

    Generally a value-for-money, centrally located venue which is on the outskirts of the city, in District Six. Can have elevated levels of noise, but generally good with excellent, friendly, helpful staff members.

    The room was shabby, furniture mis-matched and neglected. The carpet was stained and grubby, and the bathroom smelt damp. Lots of noisy neighbours late at night and early morning. Free wifi was promised but it was difficult to register and impossible to maintain a constant internet connection. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was adequate. I would not stay here again.

    Noise late at night by guess speaking loudly seem to be a problem specially if the hotel wants to keep its reputation. I was a previous owner for 14 years before I sold my unit and I would like to keep coming back but I will reconsider if the problem with rowdy guests is not improved.
