"Central Position"
Lister T, 03 Octobre 2018

Visited with my wife and mother in law. Very good value for Cannes, positioned just on the northern rim of the town centre by the railway station. Good size tidy rooms. Only problem being the extractors in the bathrooms are ineffective. Wifi, TVs can get BBC 1, 2, CBBIES and World News. Smart looking bar. Small pool with sun loungers on roof have a fantastic view of the surrounding area. On leaving the hotel turn right go down the underpass and within 5 minutes you are on the sea front. Breakfast far too expensive but plenty of cheaper places to eat just opposite the railway station. Town easy to get round and fairly flat until you go to the castle. If you have a car 20 euros per day parking though public transport easy to use. Literally hundreds of restaurants to eat in nearby.

"The service was good, the location is excellent for local travel and within easy walking distance of the sea front."
PeterD2493, 30 Septembre 2018

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, good rooftop swimming pool, comfortable room and easy access to all local amenities. Good location for the use of public transport (close to buses and the railway station).

"A decent stay "
Tracey D, 24 Septembre 2018

Just checked out of a weeks stay in this hotel. Firstly this hotel is in a good location in Cannes, about 2 mins from the station, accessible through a underpass. The receptionists are friendly and were there when we needed help. They need more staff though as a few times we have been left waiting. The room I would not stay in again. There are only mirrors in the bathroom, meaning that you can't do makeup/hair when someone else is in the bathroom. The bathroom is very small and also doesn't de-mist quickly enough. They need a running extractor fan to remove the steam quicker. The bathroom doors need a paint too (as pictured) and the running water from your shower doesn't leave quick enough - meaning you're standing in your own shower water for a while after. The bed is hard and the pillows limp, the curtains are blackout to an extent but let in some light through the middle (as pictured). The coffee pods and water do not get replaced daily - overheard someone else complaining about that in reception as we were walking through. There is no fridge in the room which would have been great in a warm country like this. The lift to access the floors is very small and can be claustrophobic. The biggest perk of this hotel is the pool ; best in mind it's not massive but it does the job to chill out in the sun and wanting to cool off and the hotel have free towels to use on the sun loungers (just ask at reception). The photos they use on here are of the suites - not the standard double room that we stayed in so be aware when cooking. Personally I don't think this hotel is worthy 4 stars but decent for the location/price/pool

"Mother & Daughter visit."
lyn k, 24 Septembre 2018

Very nice welcome ,sadly we were early and out room wasn't ready however the reception lady said we could wait upstairs in the rooftop pool area which was lovely.(people with mobility issues may find the stairs tricky). Our room was ready for check in time. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Twin Room very clean and modern, and well maintained.Few complimentary toiletries.Very close to train station through the underpass nearby.Breakfast available but didn't try also attached spa. Beach about 10.-15 mins walk. Expresso machine in room with pods but no milk.Tv - few English channels (BBC). Reasonably priced.would come back again.

"A superb 8 night stay"
mike2222Southampton, 18 Septembre 2018

I stayed here during the Cannes Yachting Festival. The hotel was only a 10 minute walk to the Cannes croisette. The room i had was 529. It was a good size , immaculately clean and a very comfy bed. The staff were superb and always very friendly , and even got to know me by name! Breakfast was great, and the rooftop bar was lovely. Only recommendations for improvement would be to install a restaurant, mini bar and daily replenishment of the coffee pods and water bottles. I will return

"Short Stay"
Peta C, 17 Septembre 2018

Great location near station and 5 min walk to Croisette (Plage). Pool on top of building has a 360 degree of Cannes...fabulous. Breakfast of good standard..staff friendly and accomodating Hotel listed as 4 star...not sure if warrants that yet...no robes in room; water, toilettries not replenished; room needing revamp, very 80's, tired; pool area dangerous to access at night (open till 10) re lighting and layout. If those issues addressed definitely 4 star??

"Thank you"
shaun2606, 29 Août 2018

Everything about this hotel is superb location right behind train station but you wouldn't know it! Pool a great chill out area staff, an asset nothing to much trouble and easygoing, can't comment on food as did not indulge but rooms were first class, as for the beds.......couldn't get them in my case to take home!

"Good vacation!"
lbarbi741614, 24 Août 2018

I staied in this hotel on vacation for five night;I found in my opinion, good position in the city, high level about service and clean and very polite and professional people of the hotel!!Very good!! ??Leonardo from Italy

"Fantastic hotel"
gaillb2018, 24 Août 2018

Lovely hotel and easy to get to everything in Cannes. Staff are so friendly and helpful. They also informed us of events in Cannes happening during our stay. Our hairdryer broke and the receptionist sorted it and a new one was installed within an hour. Pool area is lovely and even though there are not many sun loungers you could still get one at 10.30am. I would certainly stay again the room was lovely, comfortable and big.

"Just OK "
User, 23 Août 2018

Stayed here for 5 days with my daughter, hotel very clean and location close to the station and easy walk to town via underpass, breakfast a bit lacking, not much choice especially in the hot food, was allocated a double room even though I was traveling with a 13 year old, request at reception for a twin and left it with then, heard no more, I expect a little better customer service from a 4 star hotel

"Great stay. Staff very helpful and accommodating."
mrburns508, 16 Août 2018

We arrived late in the evening a the woman at the front desk was very nice and friendly. We were checked in very quickly and our room was very clean and the AC was cold which was awesome because it was very hot and humid outside during our visit. The hotel is very nice and the breakfast buffet is amazing. Definitely recommend you stay here and if we ever go back to Cannes we know where we will be staying. My only negative remark is not a huge concern but the main elevator may be the smallest in the world. Tight squeeze to fit three or four people!

"Great Location"
Lisadavies79, 16 Août 2018

First of all I would like to say that we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was a great location and clean. There were however a lot of practical things missing. We arrived fairly late at night and I had imagined there would be a restaurant or room service but there was nothing. We were advised that nothing would be open (around 10pm) and as we didn't know how close we were to anything at this point we went to bed very hungry. There was a poorly stocked vending machine but very over priced and little choice of food or drink. We had paid for breakfast as part of getting a twin room but would not have paid the 19 Euros per day that was being charged for it. There were a few pastries - which ran out one day. A small amount of fruit, some salmon/ham, a few cakes, quiche, 3 types of cereal and some streaky bacon and scrambled egg. You could order extras like omelettes but they were charged extra. The coffee machines were good and the juice was cold and refreshing.Ventilation was also an issue. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom so drying towels/swimwear from the pool was impossible. Usually I would use the balcony but there wasn't one. The pool was small but clean and really refreshing for just getting in and out of when it was hot. There are signs in the hotel asking you not to bring food and drink in to the hotel but they don't provide food other than breakfast so if you want a pool day you will HAVE to bring in some snacks and drinks. There is no bar at the pool, just one 7 floors down at reception which is unmanned and felt a little like we were being a pain ordering from there. We would have spent far more on drinks if there had been a system in place for ordering from the pool. My overall opinion of the hotel is that it is definitely a city break type of hotel where you are not expected to be in the hotel during the day. Tips that we wish we had known. The steps just outside the hotel lead to the train station but is also a subway towards la croissette. Crossing over the flyover is a nightmare. There is a KFC and a starbucks if you arrive late and need to grab something. The train goes to Nice and Monacao and we travelled to Monaco for a very good price. The first ticket was 16 euros and the second 5 euros so a total of 10.50 euros each return. The coach from the airport is 22 euros each and is direct taking about 35 mins. Do this instead of 90 euros for a taxi!I would not recommend this hotel for anyone using a wheelchair.

"Terrible customer service"
paian0, 14 Août 2018

Reception staff were awful very rude and it tarnished our holiday definitely not the star rating it is with the customer service you get. Location good near train station rooms clean but small no balcony

"A good find "
Rupert E, 04 Août 2018

I enjoyed this place. It feels small and cosy with an eclectic mix of styles. It is not a high service hotel. You collect your own drinks from the bar if you want one in the lounge perhaps or at the rooftop pool. The staff is small but charming and my room was a great size with good air conditioning and all the mod cons one expects these days. There is limited parking and location wise it is great, just a few minutes from the Rue D'Antibes. Breakfast is good with a self service buffet ( not Included).

"Extremely rude reception staff but good value for money"
eccarter99, 03 Août 2018

The reception staff were rude throughout the trip, not just to us, but to other guests, had a bad attitude problem, and poor customer service skills. They were unapologetic when our room wasn't ready for check in- check in is 3pm, at 3.30pm it still wasn't ready and we were told “check in is FROM 3, that doesn't mean it will be ready AT 3”. I heard them tell one couple who arrived for check in that check in is 5pm, but they will try to get them in at 3! I doubt there is a different check in time for different rooms. One staff member said she “couldn't stand around all day” when we asked to add a piece of luggage to the store room, and they told guests in front of us to move out of the way! With all that being said, it is a great location near to the train station and town (although the area outside does smell a little of urine on the way to the station), it is good value for money with breakfast included, and the room was modern with air con. They also need more sunloungers by the pool, as they have replaced most of these with chairs since our last visit 2 years ago.

"The Best Western Hotel and Spa Cannes."
Denis P, 29 Juillet 2018

The photo gallery displays, unfortunately not all, the rooms, as the bedroom, my wife and I were given is not displayed. We arrived at approx. 23:30. after a delayed flight from Heathrow, due to air traffic strike in France, coupled with a rail strike. So, as you can imagine all we wanted was a bed. Our room was on the third floor alongside the lift, opposite the marble stairway, and also the second lift. In the morning on opening the curtains we were surprised by the vista, not a view of Cannes but of a motorway running parallel to the window, remember this is a third floor window. When I approached the receptionist regarding a change of room I was shocked to be told there were none available, this after the customary fiddling around with the computer mouse, as I had not seen more than fifty people in the building. I may have the wrong understanding of the holiday booking, through British Airways, but I was disappointed with the action of the hotel receptionist. The room my wife and I we given was not the standard of the 4 star Best Western in our hometown. Also we were amazed that the star system in France works solely on the size of the bed rooms.

"IHOR & TINA IN CANNES"
Tina1andy6, 24 Juillet 2018

First time in Cannes. Hotel location perfect. Room, good size for France. Matilde & Alexandra at front desk, fabulous. Other staff too: breakfast room, maintenance and front desk- awesome. Staff-super bilingual. I cannot complain about anything. Breakfast buffet beat expectations. Short & safe walk to beach; needed after breakfast buffet! Train station directly in front of hotel was barely audible 24 hrs. per day! Took train to Nice. No hassle. Great value for the price we paid, for a one week stay. Printing of boarding passes was available at guest computer.

"Good location but wasn't Wow'd by service"
helsbells2015, 20 Juillet 2018

My new husband and I had planned this trip to Cannes to celebrate my birthday and recent wedding. Sadly we experienced a family bereavement the week we were due to travel so were heartbroken and asked to cancel. The hotel said we had booked a non refundable room rate and refused to cancel not refund any money. We therefore had to reschedule flights at great expense and decided to proceed. We were not compensated for the day we were unable to stay. On arrival we re-emphasised the trip was part of our honeymoon but it was barely acknowledged. The room was small, french styled but adequate. There was nothing special about it. The location of the hotel is good as it's directly behind the train station and within easy walk of the shops and restaurants with easy access via an underpass. The reception staff were pleasant and said hello as we passed by but there was no one who stood out for excellent service. Housekeeping did a very good job keeping the room clean and tidy but we had to remind them to refill the shower gel and replace the body lotion as it hadn't been replenished. Overall the hotel's location is the only thing that would make we return. It was very average in every other way.

"Herrible customer service"
E6325RIelenac, 20 Juillet 2018

Our pre-paid 2 months in advance voucher was for 2 adults and 2 kids (voucher and email confirmation), but on the day we came from Canada to check in, receptionist told us our reservation is not valid, we need to cancel our room! Why? Because 2 adults and 2 kids is not possible in this hotel. Why did they sell it to me then 2 months before? And why did no one contact me to tell me this for 2 months??? They contacted me to sell me their breakfast package in advance - they had no problem emailing me to sell me that and a parking spot and to offer me SPA services !!! But they couldn't email me to tell me they will make my reservation invalid because i have children ???Why would you wait for the day i come from another continent to tell me my paid room is not available??? No apologies, no trying to help us - nothing! We were told to book 2 rooms instead or cancel and go find another hotel (kids are 1 years old and 3 years old - they cannot be ALONE in a room! They sleep in my bed! And we brought a travel baby bed, so I didn't even need anything extra from the hotel!) ! You tell someone in Cannes high season to go find another hotel at 7pm (with 2 babies who just traveled for 20 hours) ????? After we already PAID for this and have a written confirmation 2 adults+2 kids and a proof of payment voucher with all details?? Ridiculous! So we ended up having to pay for the second room - meaning we paid extra $1,500 for my husband and i to sleep in separate rooms on our vacation ! Still - no apologies, no politeness from the staff. Especially rude was the middle-aged blonde gentleman. They even tried to charge us the breakfast for our 6 day stay and gave me the bill as i was checking out - WE NEVER TOOK THE BREAKFAST! We said “no thanks” to that option right away and never went for breakfast!! They tried to charge us for that, too! Scammers! We will be suing the hotel as soon as we get back to Canada. Worst experience of our lives. Shame on you. (The only nice person was Sandrine - and she is new!!)

"Great hotel with lots of character!"
Matt S, 15 Juillet 2018

My partner and I visited Cannes for a few nights in early July. Although it took us a minute or two to work out how to get there from the station (under the underpass), we were greeted warmly in English upon arrival. Out room was clean, the location is fantastic and breakfast was really tasty. The rooftop pool wasn't particularly busy and there really area some fantastic views to be had up there. Friendly, helpful staff too!

"Breakfast too expensive"
Hotel_Versailles, 03 Juillet 2018

I think that € 19,00 for each breakfast is too too too much! The air conditioning was freezing the room, we tried to set the right temperature but we couldn't, even asking 23° we where freezing and we had to sleep with window open...

"Lovely stay!"
lucymaiatt, 27 Juin 2018

We have just returned from a lovely visit to cannes and a stay at this hotel. We stayed Saturday-Wednesday as a young couple and we had such an enjoyable time. My fiancé had been working in cannes the previous week and had forgot to book a hotel the night I flew out to join him and he managed to get in our room a day early which was fantastic! It is a lovely quaint hotel in an amazing location- right outside the train station, which we got to Monaco one of the days very easily, a 5 minute walk to any restaurants and bars and about 10 minutes from the beach. The room was fairly small, but absolutely fine for just the two of us. The only thing I could fault about the room is that there wasn't a fridge we could leave any water etc in, but it didn't get too hot so it wasn't a huge deal. It was cleaned and tidied every day for us. The pool on the roof (7th floor) was a lovely touch. It was very secluded and quiet and only got busy around the afternoon, but by busy I mean that all 12 sunbeds were taken up, so still very quiet. It was relaxing and everything you need on a hot day. There is no bar up there but people were bringing drinks from the hotel bar on the ground floor up in the lift which didn't seem to be such an issue. We couldn't fault the reception staff, they remembered our name and room number every morning and evening that we walked past, and being wished good evening or good morning by name was a lovely touch and made us feel very valued. They called a car for us back to the airport the day before we left, but unfortunately as we came down and was sorting out our payment at check out, another couple jumped in our car and took it themselves which we were not impressed about at all (this is the selfishness of the couple, and the cars company fault by not checking the name). The reception were just as appalled as we were and called us another car immediately. It did take half hour which meant we were running late to the airport, but they kept checking up on the location of the car for us to check we would make it in time. In the mean time whilst we waited they brought us coffee and water which was very kind and helpful. Cannes is a lovely place for a little relaxing get away, and all in all my fiancé and myself would definitely reccomend this hotel for anyone thinking of visiting cannes. It was perfect for what we wanted! Stayed 23rd June- 27th June Couple ages 22 & 23

"Great hotel far from the crowd"
rdelacre, 25 Juin 2018

We stayed again in this hotel - it's a good value for money in Cannes. Swimming pool on the rooftop, spa next door, great wines at the bar. This hotel offers exactly what we need to enjoy a good business trip or vacation. I recommend this - a good value for money.

"Short and sweet"
Purdie56, 25 Mai 2018

We enjoyed our stay and would go back. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice reception area with a cosy bar and courtyard. The rooftop pool and seating/beds were a plus point. Staff were friendly and efficient. The location offers easy access to shops, restaurants and La Croisette. Transport links are excellent as the hotel is situated by a dual carriageway and the main Cannes SNCF and bus stations! Frankly, we had concerns about possible serious noise levels but in fact we heard very little noise and none that was intrusive.

"Lovely small hotel"
thewanderah, 22 Mai 2018

Despite the hotel's name, it is charming and very European. Gracious service, with wine put out every afternoon. Small, but comfortable rooms. Could use more charging outlets for devices. The room rate quoted for the film festival seems high.

"A quiet/convenient stay in Cannes"
clmortell, 22 Mai 2018

Wonderfully located property for the Cannes fest, but providing tiny little soaps and a non-functioning telephone seems short-sighted. The personnel, especially at the front desk was wonderful and very helpful - and I appreciated the coffee and limited breakfast in the morning. However, the shower kept leaking (certainly not a personnel issue) but needs to be fixed.

"Nice and cosy hotel"
Amy L, 14 Mai 2018

Nice and cosy hotel. There's outdoor seating at the terrace to relax. It's walking location to the main shopping streets (just an underpass away). Big bedrooms and bathrooms, just that the bathroom has a standing shower with no shower curtains so the rest of the bathroom might be wet and slippery. They have some nice wine at the hotel lobby as welcome drinks. There's a huge Marilyn Monroe drawing/painting st the outside wall of the hotel as well as a smaller one next to the hotel restaurant.

"Business Trip"
matthewdrew, 30 Avril 2018

I stayed for one night at the hotel, and it was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff, a good breakfast, and the room rate was very reasonable for the time of year. I would definitely use this hotel again.

"Great Location, lovely staff"
Whitbred, 24 Avril 2018

My daughter and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Cannes Riviera early April for her birthday. I had emailed the hotel in advance requesting breakfast in bed and a birthday cake on the actual day. The staff were just wonderful, they not only kept this as a surprise but also delivered a beautiful lemon cake, complete with candles in the morning. My thanks to Matilda and Florence along with all of their colleagues for helping to make her day! In addition, the location is perfect, it is literally across the road (behind) the main train and bus station, a short 10-15 minute walk to the promenade via an array of shops, bars and restaurants. Our twin room was comfortable, although an extra few hooks in the bathroom area would have been useful. Our beds were clean, comfortable and the linen was changed regularly. The rooftop pool looked lovely, with great views across the city but it was too early in the season for us to consider using. The bar was also very cosy, it was a peaceful place to sit and relax before bed. Although the hotel faces a main road it was very quiet. We would stay here again because of the amazing customer service and the location.

"Centrally situated"
Grahambear, 06 Avril 2018

The hotel is in a convenient position for public transport. It's literally across the road from the back of the train and bus stations. It's about a 15 minute walk to the main restaurant area and the sea front. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was clean and warm. The hotel itself feels very safe as there are security cameras everywhere. There is also a free-to-use safe in the rooms. Breakfast (by English price standards) was very expensive at EUR19 pp. However, the receptionist assured us that the going rate at most hotels in Cannes is EUR21, so I guess it was a bit of a bargain! Speaking of receptionists, I feel I must make a special mention of Matilde who was on duty for the late shift for the 3 nights we stayed. She was incredibly helpful and friendly and is a real credit to the hotel. In addition to her native Spanish, she also speaks German and Italian as well as the excellent French required for her job.

"FALSE ADVERTISING"
User, 01 Avril 2018

I recently booked this hotel because of it's proximity to Cannes city centre, it's spa and most importantly the car parking garage it advertises. However, upon arrival I was told the car parking was full as I hadn't pre-booked. I politely told the lady at reception that I wasn't made aware of any need to book. She was exceptionally rude and insisted it is made very clear on the website that it needs to be booked. I have checked the website since and it's certainly not mentioned anywhere. Neither does it tell you that if you are "lucky" enough to get a space that it's an additional €20.50 per night. A price which is €0.50 cent cheaper than a local city centre car park- how ridiculous is it that a hotel you're paying to stay at has the same parking rates as a local public car park. We spent an extra €190 on parking during our stay. This €190 would have got us a much nicer hotel with free parking. The breakfast rate of €19.50 per person is also extortionate. We got a nicer breakfast in a beautiful restaurant with panoramic views for half the price. The Spa that's advertised as being part of the hotel is actually a separate entity altogether- false advertising again I believe. When we tried to book the spa I was greeted again by the same rude lady and was told they couldn't inform me of availability because the spa is separate and was fully occupied at that time. She had no idea what time anyone from the spa could contact me and told me I would just have to wait in my room for a phone call. Believe it or not I don't go on holidays to sit in my hotel room awaiting a phone call. Travellers BEWARE of this hotels extortionate hidden costs and their false advertising. If their spa and parking are falsely advertised I'm sure more things are too.

"Xmas Holiday"
paulP8736VO, 06 Janvier 2018

Fantastic accommodation and friendly staff made our stay a memorable one. It was a bit of a distance away from the beach but close enough to restaurants and all activities. Train station next door allowed travel to Monaco etc. A good option,

"Nice first time staying in Cannes"
jeffmY66CQ, 17 Décembre 2017

Nice hotel, great location and Friendly staff overall. Disappointing that the outside pool is closed in the winter and the Spa hot tub comes at an additional cost. Unfortunately the hotel was going through some severe building work which affected my sleep from 8am each day. Also the twin room beds are tiny so best not to twin.

"All you need and expect"
simoneZ5482LM, 09 Décembre 2017

Nice hotel . Very friendly service, very good bed, good breakfast with very friendly service. Quick check out. Hotel is located in the heard of the city so very convenient , however the area around the train station is not so great . Hotel has an own garage , that is great if you come by car.

"Fantastic place to stay in Cannes"
TheDoktor2014, 23 Octobre 2017

Lovely room and bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely little bar. Excellent breakfast. Very handy for the railway station. Secure enclosed car park. Really friendly and helpful staff - particularly important when travelling alone. Everyone very kind but special thanks to Matilde and Annick. Look forward to staying again.

"Like horror movies! "
Mehmet C, 16 Octobre 2017

Before reading this comment please consider the voucher that my agency sent me. I have an hernia problem and I am in a cure for 6 monts. I wanted them to make me a King bed, they said “yes” sugested on voucher. I have also asked for a room with city view, for do not look to hole of buildings, they said “yes” suggested on voucher. Now I am asking to hotel to make my bed as suggested, they say “no”. They say “we can say yes while reservation, but we don't guaranty nothing, this is our only room left.” What an explanation, what an approche to the costumer satisfaction! There are also benches arround the riviera, sleep there, do not sleep in Best Western Cannes Riviera if you don't loose your health that you are trying to cure for 6 months. And it saves your money.

"Top Location"
Swantje P, 15 Octobre 2017

Our room was nice and clean and the bed was big and comfortable. I was bit disappointed that they don´t serve oats for breakfast and I would rather have eaten local fruit than the fruit they had there. Furthermore it would be nice if they had every breakfast item every day. One day the pears and almonds were missing for example. They do serve soy milk which was really good! The pool opening hours could be longer too in my opinion. Other than that everything was great :-) Would recommend and come back !

"EXCELLENT"
ShruthiPolina, 08 Octobre 2017

excellent. ain't the first time that I stayed. would recommend any day. indeed had great time. be more flexible in room service. each day I had unique and satisfying experience. water supply should be non chargeable.

"Nice Hotel with very nice rooms"
Steven B, 08 Octobre 2017

The rooms are really very well designed und kept. The service was very good, too. The pool on the roof is small, but a cool location to be overlooking Cannes. It is very close to the city, a 2-5 minute walk. The breakfast has a good variety. The only thing it infringes of a big road, therefore the view out of the window is not that nice.

"big surprise"
Gregor W, 02 Octobre 2017

I am not a big fan of Best Western Hotels, for various reasons, but this BW is definitely on my list for another visit to Cannes. First, there is the perfect location: right behind the railway station, but without being bothered by the noise of the trains. You have an under passage to shorten the way to the station and are therefore perfectly located, Also, if you come by car, the hotel has a parking garage, and a public garage is right behind the hotel. You are right next to the highway, which means you have perfect connection to the major routes. Second, the rooms: spacious and clean, perfectly working WiFi, recently renovated, modern bathrooms and showers, very stylish. Third, breakfast buffet: very good selection of everything you might wish for, French and American buffet, and good coffee. Be aware though, that this hotel is favored by many bus travel agencies, so it can get a little crowded in the morning... All in all, highly recommendable.

"2 night stay"
Kevin W, 02 Octobre 2017

Pluses: 1) Bed was good, plenty of pillows 2) Room was cleaned 3) Plenty of towels in my suite 4) Staff spoke English 5) Free apples in the lobby 6) Free use of the printer 7) Breakfast was good. I like the way they set up the table. Cons: 1) There is ambient music playing in the piano lobby, but there is no way to turn it off. I asked hotel staff if there is a way to turn off the ambient music in the piano bar area but she said no. 2) The digital grand piano does not have a stand for you to put sheet music 3) The keyboard in the business area is a French one. Most Americans use a qwerky keyboard 4) You are given espresso cups but no coffee cups. Alternatively, you can take some from the breakfast room and bring it to your room.

"Looks more like a boutique hotel"
Lilith808, 01 Octobre 2017

Overall- affordable and nice place to stay. The room's furniture was outdated but the lobby is very elegant and updated. The hotel is close to the Riviera but far enough to have a reasonable price. The people from the reception are very helpful.

"Pleasant hotel"
GTeel, 01 Octobre 2017

This hotel is near the train station so that makes it very convenient if you arrive by train as we did. It is walking distance to the beach, but doesn't have a view of the beach. The room was bright and clean, but nothing special.

"I don't speak French. We loved this hotel, especially the girl at the desk at night. She helped so much."
SAM53045, 30 Septembre 2017

See above. Loved the help from the gal at the front desk. Looks like you want more than 200 words. The hotel was a great find for us, great location and wonderful breakfast. Also, very quiet for the most part and the pool was an added bonus. Wish we could stay longer.

"Completely Satisfied!!!"
langamchunu, 27 Septembre 2017

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Best Western. Staff was amazing , location was ideal and great value for money! Property was clean and excellent presentation at the breakfast table. Thank you so much

"Fantastic like always"
1isabelv, 25 Septembre 2017

More that 6 years going to this hotel and it was exactly what we are loofing for when we visited Cannes for business. Bed confortable, breakfast really nice with natural orange juice! Cleaning, reception (Matilde the best!), waitress... really good attendance

"Extremely Poor Night Service"
1christopherwells, 25 Septembre 2017

For a hotel and brand of this caliber I would not have expected to be locked out not once, not twice but for all three nights i stayed at this hotel. The lady who works the night desk would let me sit outside a locked door from anywhere between 18 to 30 minutes no matter how many times I rang the bell, knocked on the door and even called the front desk. I'm not sure if she has an alcohol problem or what but the fact that she was never at the desk makes me wonder what she was doing whilst I waited. I will never stay at this hotel again despite it being in a good location and very clean.

"Great hotel and central location"
Elena F, 21 Septembre 2017

Really enjoyed our stay. Clean room with a comfortable bed. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. They recommended best restaurants and places to visit. Good morning breakfast included. We'll come back.

"Great Hotel at a Reasonable Price"
gennadyspi, 18 Septembre 2017

The hotel has great decor and feels cosy. It is very close to the beaches and the city center/old town. You get a lot of value for your money. We didn't get breakfast (standard european continental breakfast) at the hotel as it was a bit plain to pay 17 euros (I believe) per person. The second room we were moved to was a bit too small. We felt like we could barely fit our suitcases in it. With that said, everything else was great and overall I would still rank this hotel 4 out of 5.

"Good Location Near Heart of Town, Comfy Rooms"
GuestAC , 18 Septembre 2017

Absolutely would recommend the BW Cannes Riviera Hotel, not only is it in a good walking distance location to heart of town and beaches, but it also has a rooftop pool (perfect for watching sunsets)! Only recommendation that I disliked was that you were not allowed outside food / beverages in the hotel, but in the evenings they were only staffed with one person covering the front desk including check ins and manning the bar. Other than that highly recommend, great staff, comfy rooms and good location!

"Decent, but not superior stay "
User, 15 Septembre 2017

Pluses: 1) Air conditioning was amazing 2) Bed was comfy, although it was 2 single beds shoved together. Nevertheless, comfy. 3) Swimming pool was relaxing, but very windy up there, which cannot be avoided. 4) Staff did communicate in English. 5) Room was cleaned every day and towels were changed. 6) Spa was alright, you get a discount when you are the guest of the hotel. 7) We could use the hotel's umbrella when it was raining. Minuses: 1) No food service after breakfast. 2) Breakfast itself was cold and not tasty. 3) Vending machine was empty throughout our stay - just bottles of water or Mentos. 4) You could hear almost everything what was happening in the room above us or the room next to us. Last couple of days were noisy. 5) The checkout was at 12pm, and at 11:45am someone knocked on the door asking '' What time are you moving out? '' So we replied that at 12. The woman then asked '' Not before?'', which was kind of weird. 6) Coffee cups in the room were the size of my thumb. 7) There wasn't much of a view from the room, all we saw was some shabby building.

"Cannes Riviera"
Hannah K, 12 Septembre 2017

Hotel was great for a weekend away, the outside of the property could do with a tidy up, however the inside is lovely and the staff welcoming and kind, we had a lovely stay, thankyou for looking after us!

"Organisation not good"
jameskershaw1981, 08 Septembre 2017

I arrived to find that my credit card had been used for both my booking and the booking for the room next door!!! Worrying!! Then still not credited the same amount back now 5 days later, breakfast selection and drinks selection terrible , burnt omelettes and only coke or tonic as a mixer, ran out of beer on the 2 nd day , no replacement in 2 days for Heineken, ridiculous when there is a shop over the road, I can't make head nor tail of the bill and I am sure I've been overcharged Will not be coming back

"Very enjoyable stay"
albionbev, 06 Septembre 2017

Booked through BA and stayed on the 5th floor, paying for an upgrade which was one up from the standard room price. The only inconvenience being that there was a delay in the room being ready on arrival. Big ,comfortable bed with good pillows.Shower (over bath) with plenty of hot water. Helpful and pleasant reception staff. Room quiet and cleaned everyday to a good standard. Location not attractive but convenient to railway station and just a 10 minute walk to seafront. Bar was always empty.

"Superb hotel in great location"
hannahpI5033LI, 05 Septembre 2017

We came here on honeymoon and it was perfect. Staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient, making our stay a total joy. Location was excellent - Just at the back of the train station making day trips to other trains along the coast very easy to do. Rooftop pool was lovely and plenty of good food for breakfasts.

"Nice Hotel"
atrai, 04 Septembre 2017

The hotel had everything we needed. It was in a great location and the roof top pool was great. The rooms were clean and a good size. Most of the staff were lovely and very helpful. The only reason I would not give this hotel 5* is because of one receptionist, named Florence. She was most unhelpful and rude at times when we asked for the simplest of things, for example, a glass of ice from the bar or towels for the pool, making us feel like we were not worthy to be staying at the hotel. I know we were not the only guests to think this. Other than that great hotel and I would recommend.

"Could be so much better."
NaomiAC, 27 Août 2017

A decent hotel but letting itself down on several fronts. My main issue was there was no wi-fi for four days and when I asked if there was some alternative arrangement to access my e-mails I was told to go to the train station and use their wi-fi. They seemed to miss the point that this is a service that guests pay for. The rooms are small but quiet and beds are very comfortable. Bathroom nice but the water pressure was not great and no bathrobes. No fridge in room and only provided with two bottles of water and four pods of coffee for a six night stay. To then put up signs saying guests could not bring their own food and drink into the room is just insulting. The failure to replenish coffee and water would mean that you only get proper value for money if staying for one night. The pool is tiny and busy. It isn't worth booking just for this facility. It did have good views from the rooftop and it was pleasant to catch the evening sun. Again, breakfast choice was limited and the scrambled eggs were inedible. Nice to eat outside on the terrace but this did also double as a smoking area. Location is next to the train station but this, and the centre of Cannes, needs to be accessed by walking through a subway which, although busy and well-lit, wasn't pleasant. However, it is very close to the centre of Cannes and the beaches. Cannes is great and I will go back next year but not to this hotel.

"Great location, but...."
KiwiCamm, 25 Août 2017

Stayed here for a week in August. A nice hotel with a great location - is on opposite side of railway station, across from main town of Cannes. Room size and most facilities are very good, modern and clean. Great bed! Double glazed windows so you don't hear the traffic and trains. Great to have a rooftop pool for the end of a long day on the beaches. However - Seems more like a very good 3 star hotel than 4 star. No fridge in room, and signs/notes up warning not to bring outside food and drink into hotel. They only supplied a small still and sparkling water for the entire week! So had to bring in own drinking water anyway. They do not supply new/fresh water or top up the coffee pods each day, or at all. There is an expresso machine, but you only get 4 pods on arrival. We did ask for more, and were given 2, but only when cleaners were around. On 2 occasions cleaning staff entered room without knocking. There was no wifi - it was working on first day, but then stopped working for rest of week. Hotel staff friendly. You can get beach towels from reception. Cannes is expensive, but did expect a bit more for the price of the Best Western Cannes Riveria Hotel (a good 3 star!)

"Great location, comfortable modern rooms, excellent breakfast"
User, 23 Août 2017

We found stayed here 9 days and found it an excellent base for exploring Cannes and the region. You are close to the cheap railway that connects you to everywhere along the Cote d'Azur, and 10 mins walk from the Croisette and beach, similar from Le Suquet, Cannes lovely old town. The rooms look recently modernised, very clean, comfortable bed, our room was was a bit small. Noise proofing is good, just as well as you are disconcertingly close to both railway and an elevated road. It wasn't a problem for us. Staff were very efficient and friendly, the rooftop pool lovely though the sun beds were often full. The breakfasts were excellent. Only thing we'd change: the automatic light in the bathroom which floods the room as you go in, probably waking your partner! Overall, very good.

"A good comprimise on price"
Craig106, 17 Août 2017

If you are going for a trip to Cannes, it's not going to be cheap. If you wanted cheap you would have flown to Marrakesh. I think this hotel is at the "sweet spot" in terms of what you are going to get for your money. It's a premium economy seat on a plane. It's not as good as can be, but then it's far better than a bog standard or dated hotel, like so many are in France. The rooms have all been renovated fairly recently, so they are very clean. The air con is wonderful. I'm not sure I would have survived without it. The staff are attentive and helpful and spoke English really well, and were happy to let me "have a go" in terrible broken french. It is behind a busy road, which is a shame, but it is also only 5 mins to very central Cannes under an underpass which is well lit, regularly used and safe. The TV's in the rooms are good quality and have plenty of channels in French and English. The rooftop pool is a nice place the relax for a while, but it is small and busy. The lifts are hilariously small, but it's a fairly compact hotel. I had fun getting two people and an inflated lilo into one of them. It's difficult for me to pick fault really. I would stay here again if I revisited Cannes. I'm being really picky, but ways to improve should always be welcomed ..... - The rules say you cannot eat and drink your own food in the hotel. Change the rules. (I did anyway) - A fridge in the room would be nice - The parking is too expensive at 21EUR per night and was therefore empty. - The vending machine had almost zero choice. - The pool closes at 9pm, leave it open later, it's light until 10pm in the summer. Overall very happy with my choice. Bonus Cannes parking tip. If you are taking a car you can park on the Croissette (main boulevard on the sea front) if you are about 1km out of the town center on both sides. In the center it's parking meter. If you are a reasonably fit person, it is no problem to park 1km away and walk.

"Next time, we'll try something else."
GreeG S, 15 Août 2017

LOWS: There are some "lows", which we can't and won't say would ruin your stay here, but you must be aware of: Definitely, NOT a 4* hotel. For example, no small fridge or mini-bar in the room. Also, no iron in the room although it has an "ironing room" at the 7th floor (we were unlucky as the iron didn't seem to work properly). Elevators (there are two), verry small, they fit at max, 3 persons or two persons with one piece of luggage. ALL the spaces are small, the hallways, the rooms, the elevators, everything! Basicly, a Railways Station/Transit hotel. The hotel itself is built on a East-West axis which means all the rooms are alligned accordingly. So, you have half of the hotel facing South and the other half, North. We booked an economy room which ended to be on the 4th floor facing North. The rooms on the South side have a "wonderful" vista/view of the railways and the trains or (depending on the floor) of the traffic outside (there's a main highway in front of the hotel). On the other hand, on the North side you have a "nice view" of some neighbouring buildings of flats. On the North side also, the rooms are VERY cold! but at least, they're quiet. Our room (economy), was small and looked kind of depressing, even if everything seemed to be brand new (bathroom, furniture & stuff). The pool area on the top of the building is a GREAT ideea and not many of the Cannes hotels have it, but is NOT as advertised!, meaning it's verry small, fitting somewhere around 12-15 persons at max. In high season, you won't find any space to stay at the pool but only if you come early in the morning. Breakfast is basic and repetitive, poor selection of vegetables (only tomatoes and cucumbers) and just a few selection of "cold-cuts", but in the end it can fill a belly. The cleaning lady on our floor was kind of weird (we heard her talking loud to herself many times), though verry efficient. When checking out, be sure you have some extra money for the "city-tax" which is not included in the booking fee. Upon arrival u'r being asked for credit card details for further payment for whatever "damage" you would do (this was kind of disturbing, thus we have paid attention not to make any scratch or damage to anything we could have used). In the end, the hotel is a verry good choice if you're transiting Cannes, good price, but an average vacation choice. HIGHS: Property close to the railway station (basicly right next to it), also close to Cannes main attractions (just steps away) and the price is kind of right. Easy access to the main touristic areas, close to a paid parking where you can also book a car at verry good prices. Personnel willing to help, basic english speaking and amiable enough, even though they don't seem really enthusiastic (not a must) of you being a guest in this hotel. Bathroom verry new and clean. Good taste and style in the arrangement of the place. The price, the location and the service, makes this hotel a GOOD economy choice.

"Excellent"
Barseuan, 12 Août 2017

Excellent, good location , is clean , personal is frendly , the brackfest is not very good beacuse they not diversifically , the pool is clean and they have a good view .........is very closed to centre of cannes

"Excellent hotel, great location and great service"
LPeterH, 07 Août 2017

The hotel is located right in the center of the city, very close to the train station. It offers a great roof top swimming pool and the rooms where very clean. The parking was small but good and I could easily park my car there (made a reservation). The staff was very friendly and provided great service (forgot my creditcard with check out and did a great job sending it swiftly by to me). Many thanks Florance!

"Great hotel, great service, swimming pool on rooftop"
rdelacre, 01 Août 2017

I spent 2 nights in the Cannes Riviera for the first time in the middle of the summer. For a 4-star hotel, this is a very good value for money. Plus the service is very professional and friendly. My room was great as well. I will come back

"good location"
76zoe, 24 Juillet 2017

brilliant location close to train station and only a short walk to shops and beach, arrived at 2pm to be told room not ready til 3pm which we accepted came back at 3pm waited til gone 5pm before a room was available and that was only because I kept pestering the receptionist, asked to see a manager but never one on duty, staff on reception very pleasant, and in my view a little over worked. clean rooms but no drawers at all so room became a bit cluttered by the end of our week.

"Nice hotel..."
Jason R, 23 Juillet 2017

WE stayed here for two nights. Most rooms in Europe are on the small size so we knew this coming in. Nice, clean room. The bathtub in our room could use a retrofit. Did not work well. Like a 5 minute walk to downtown which was awesome, 5 minute walk to the train station as well. We took advantage of the in-house bar which was well stocked with fine whiskies, also there is a spa attached to the hotel which was amazing, although very expensive.

"Good"
mariapU3904DZ, 15 Juillet 2017

Good location and modern clean room. very expensiv breakfast. Wrong information about opening hours in pool area. Nice garage but also expensive. The employees in the breakfastarea did not speak english.

"Clean, spacious room"
17sm06, 15 Juillet 2017

The room was nice and spacious. The lady at check in was helpful. There is water and coffee in the room. The pool isn't pretty and quite small but it's good for a quick cool off and no charge. The location isn't great but close to the train station which is why I chose it. Breakfast was really poor and really overpriced, that was disappointing because over all it wasn't a bad (tourist class) hotel. Also the service during breakfast was basically non-existent.

"Stay away - very bad service at this hotel!"
petervO9081FI, 15 Juillet 2017

The staffs is arrogant, not helpfull when we had problems, not possible to buy anything at the pool on 7.floor! Not possible to buy any food at the hotel, the room is small and the aircondition didnt worked.

"Terrible "
Jannick M, 05 Juillet 2017

First of all , the appearance of the hotel from the outside is run down and shabby. The room had no view despite the promise of a great one - false advertising at its finest. The 'double bed' was made up of 2 singles shoved together with a gap in the middle so big it was hard to sleep. The staff were ok. The service within the hotel was poor, 2 bottles of water for 1 week? The cleaners didn't do a very good job and some days didn't clean at all ! It's not the worst hotel we have ever stayed in but it's in the bottom 5 - we would not return and would advise other guests to choose elsewhere unless major changes are put in place.

"Ok"
Ingerid E, 03 Juillet 2017

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 2 days. The hotel is old, but have recently been renovated. Some of the staff speak English well, but not everyone. The room was not similar to the picture, but in total Ok. The "king bed" had two madresses, which was annoying and it was hard to regulate the temperatur of the water in the shower. It was eather very hot or very cold. In addition the water pressure was low. The staff was polite, but it was weird that they were allways sitting behind their computers. Anyways, an Ok hotel to get nice days in cannes. Very central and it is close to the beach.

"Good value"
Peter H, 02 Juillet 2017

Best value hotel found for a stay in Cannes. Incredibly close to the station. Turn left and go on the underpass. Do not turn right - it takes a lot longer to walk. Hotel spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was ok - not great - scrambled egg was cold and not a huge selection. Nice pool.

"Last minute couple of days at the Best Western "
loumart11, 27 Juin 2017

In needed a last minute hotel in Cannes and found the Best Western. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. The staff were really lovely and accommodating. And having been absolutely boiling hot everywhere for the week, the room was an oasis of temperature perfection! So rare even very high end luxury hotels. The pool on the roof was a nice quiet spot to sunbathe for an hour or two, and the bar was a cute little corner for a glass of wine. Location was perfect - minutes to the Croisette or the old town. Generally a good value spot for a day or two.

"Best Value at Moderate Rate."
melonay, 26 Juin 2017

A charming Hotel, Centrally located in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance from all Touristic Activities. No need to rent a car if you do not plan out of town trips. French/American Buffet Hot Breakfast.

"Wonderful hotel!"
JL U, 13 Juin 2017

Huge room with separate sitting area. Very pretty! Loved the shower! Conveniently located to everything in Cannes. Nice rooftop pool. Lovely breakfast served every morning. Really enjoyed our 5 nights stay. Very pleased and will definitely stay here again!

"Short break before cruise - 3 days"
Peter P, 11 Juin 2017

Ideal position for walking around the centre of Cannes. May have been our mistake but was not aware of a number of the facilities in the hotel as used the lift to 5th floor - very small lift. Had we used the stairs we would have passed the other facilities

"cannes film festivaL"
Randy M, 07 Juin 2017

Was there for the film festival. Location of hotel was very convenient. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was told breakfast was nice but did not get to try it. Rooms and bath small but had everything you need.

"Excellent Service"
Rodrigo G, 04 Juin 2017

I was in the hotel for 12 days and the attention and service was top notch. The rooms are very clean, the staff are very friendly and the breakfasts were wonderful. I have no complaints. I totally recommend it.

"A beautiful experience!"
JavierLabrada, 30 Mai 2017

It´s a great hotel with new improvements, vary friendly staff, a healthy breakfasts, great rooms and clean. In short the best you can get for your money.I will, gladly, repeat the experience anytime soon.

"B+"
ting348, 29 Mai 2017

Generally clean and pleasant stay. Front desk service personnel is friendly. However, furniture can be upgraded. Hot water and coffee machine is also not working well. Still water should be replenish everyday.

"Great Staff!"
colino447, 17 Mai 2017

Staff were amazing and so helpful. Hotel location is excellent. Only a couple of small negatives: - the room needs a fridge. - and the housekeeping service could be much better. Every morning we had numerous repeated knocks at door waking us up. There was no "do not disturb" sign available. The service itself needs some improvement in quality standard i.e. refills, glass-wear replaced instead of being removed

"Great find in the centre of Cannes"
Julieazzoug, 13 Mai 2017

A very pleasant stay in this well located hotel , 2 mins from the station, 5 mins from the seafront . The room was good quality , and very comfortable . Loved the expresso machine / complimentary water, its the little touches that make the difference. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly . We will definitely return , and would highly recommend.

"Exellent!"
matst531, 04 Mai 2017

We liked the hotell and the service from all staff. The breakfast was perfect but we should like more fruits to the youghurt . Clean and stylish decor .Close to the railwaystation and the beach, but we had some problems with internet and mobilephones in our room.we think that we will come back to Cannes and your hotel

"You get what you pay for"
Annabelle o, 27 Avril 2017

If location is the main reason for your visit to Cannes. This is a good choice. It is located 5 minutes from la croisette, and all the shops like Zara, sephora etc. There are also plenty of restaurants and food places not too far ranging from all prices. It is literally behind the train station so as for transport its very good. The rooms are a decent enough size swimming pool was as pictured gym doesnt have that much equipment, but enough for 10-15 minute workout. No weights... There was no fridge in our room, so we couldnt chill drinks The breakfast is okay, but nothing special. The fruit wasn't too fresh The wifi is not very good, very slow and cuts off every now and then- was a major problem for us. But if you're not bothered by wifi or have data then its no biggie

"Good hotel, but expensive for what it is"
Laura B, 17 Avril 2017

The room was small and it seem updated what was great, but the bathroom was old and in need of an update to match the room. Everything was very clean, but I think for the location the price is a bit steep.

"Misleading, dated, horrible"
miniperson, 02 Avril 2017

I can't even begin to tell you how misleading the photos on the hotel's website and TripAdvisor are. My room was dated, dirty and old and was a ridiculous rate for what you got. The wifi barely works as to have one small bottle of water in the room (which most hotels give as complimentary) it is 3.50 euros. Do not stay here. It is a crazy amount of money and you get absolutely nothing for this price. The breakfast is also horrible. No atmosphere, cold food that looks like it has been put away and brought out again day after day and a poor selection.

"Kindness, cleanliness and good taste"
Yvl C, 02 Avril 2017

The best location ever in the heart of Cannes. The pool is on the roof of the hotel and from there you have a breathtaking view. All the staff is very friendly and always smiling, ready to help you with any kind of request. My room was very comfortable and decorated with good taste. The shower was amazing and the expresso machine very useful. The breakfast buffet is very good and the bar is so pleasant and relaxing. Cannes is a city full with hotels but the Cannes Riviera is the one to stay.

"Very Good stay!"
franciscorV1261TA, 01 Mars 2017

It was not my first stay at your hotel and will not be my last. Great location, service, cleanliness and the staff is very nice and helpfull. Thank you and see you soon on my next trip to your beautiful city!

"Great location, repeat visit, would stay again."
Pip331, 27 Février 2017

This was my second stay in this hotel. We chose it primarily because of the great location. It has a car park so we could park the car car and access everything by foot...la Croisette, the beach and restaurants (and so could sample the local wine!). We stayed in a room which was updated since our last stay. It was very clean and finished to a very high quality. Staff at reception are very helpful. I also had treatment in their new spa which is a little oasis of calm in Cannes. They have made a great use of the space and the treatment was super. Next time I'll go with my partner as there is a hammam spa.

"A great staff"
796iainh, 21 Novembre 2016

Staff were consistently welcoming and helpful with everything I could ask for, from storing my bag to translating for me when I had to get a French doctor to call out after suffering a minor health scare from an allergic reaction. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

"Good hotel, good location!"
edd07, 31 Octobre 2016

Stayed here with a friend last week. Originally had to cross an under path under the train station to get to the hotel but later found we could walk up the road and cross the main road then walk down a couple streets and we were at the main beach within minutes which was good. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was nice enough with champagne available as well as a selection of continental and bacon and eggs. Staff were friendly and the bar looked very nice although we didn't go in it. The hotel itself was quiet but there was some background noise from the main road but we didn't find it difficult to sleep. Overall I would recommend this hotel!

"Meh"
andrew s, 31 Octobre 2016

This hotel is centrally located from croisette and. Restos. However the hotel needs a revamp. So not up to standard and cleanliness is not well. The staff are arrogant and some are very talkative and don't mind their business especially at breakfast. I won't go there another time.

"Okay not more"
patricia l, 25 Octobre 2016

The location of this hotel is the bestthat it has to offer, close to train station and within walking distance to the important sites. Staff was pleasant and rooms clean , cannot say much more.I visited this hotel for business so it served its purpose quite well.

"N"
Stephen G, 04 Octobre 2016

This was a good break for me and my partner, situated very close to the train station which meant we got to explore Côte d'Azur with ease, the only issue was traffic / train noise but overall was very satisfied. The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. Would I return to this hotel? Yes I most certainly would.

"Where do I start..."
Steve H, 02 Octobre 2016

We stayed at the Cannes Riviera & Spa for one week. On a positive note, the male staff member on reception was chatty and very helpful, as was a young female person also on reception. The rooms were very clean. They also have a very wide selection of whiskey available (but it's expensive). The lounge area on the ground floor was small but elegant. The negatives...the coffee machine in the hotel room uses coffee sachets. In the hotel directory it states that once they're gone you need to ask at reception for free replacements (you only get 4). I tried this and we were told that it would be 5.5euros for replacements. Obviously I mentioned their own directory, but they wouldn't budge...when we later returned to our room we found a little note placed prominently explaining the cost. Surely tea and coffee is complimentary...but not here. More negatives....the hotel has a policy that you can't take food or drink not purchased in the hotel to your room. Never heard of that before...and made all the more crazy as the hotel only serves breakfast. No other food is available. What is even more strange is that they are quite happy for you to nip to the supermarket 200 yards away (and buy wine at excellent prices) and drink the stuff in their bar using their glasses....but not in your room. More negatives...we stayed in the bar area on one evening. No one else's was there apart from a female night receptionist (not the nice one mentioned earlier!) ...they play non stop jazz relatively quietly...and I hate jazz....so I played music from my iPad. Another resident entered the bar area so I turned my music off....he proceeded to have a phone conversation on speaker phone. Once he'd gone I put my music back on...and the female receptionist told me to turn it off as it would annoy the other guests....of which there were none. She argued her case....which had no merit...and I emailed the hotel. And the last few negatives...the pool is absolutely freezing...there are loose floorboards around the pool area...the breakfast has no real variation (same stuff daily)...the bed was two singles pushed together....the room was small...the lifts are ridiculously small....the doors to the rooms are very heavy and require a bit of effort to shift em....poor wifi signal...the views to the back are residential flats and the views to the front is of an extremely busy highway. Also, it cost 20euro just to enter the Spa, although I understand you get it back if you have a treatment. ....sorry, but I won't be returning.

"Very pleasant stay but beware if you have booked a triple room"
James T, 26 Septembre 2016

The location and setting of the hotel were ideal for access both to the centre and beach at Cannes and also the train station. The staff were vey pleasant, although we had to request additional towels since the room had 3 occupants. These were supplied without a bother.

"Romantic break "
Eavan Q, 24 Septembre 2016

Came to Cannes for a short break with my boyfriend. Hotel was very clean. Staff are friendly. We had a renovated room on the 6th floor which was lovely. Pool terrace is fantastic, although pool was a little chilly. Wifi can be a bit slow. Could do with more than four coffee pods. Lovely time, would highly recommend! Thank you

"Rude staff"
gemmab652, 22 Septembre 2016

I broke my foot on the roof top on broken steps. The staff did not care or help me. Their response was "not our problem" Nothing was done to take care of the steps. They have been left loose for another person to injure themselves. Ruined my honeymoon and birthday!

"Great location by the station. Lovely rooftop pool."
Lorraine H, 22 Septembre 2016

Great location just by the station, 5 mins walk to the old town or to the beach. Trains from the airport are convenient. Walk 5-10 mins from the airport to St. Augustin station. It's only 30 min train ride to Cannes. Great view from the rooftop pool. Take drinks up there with you though as there's no bar nor drinks service. We got too comfortable & got dehydrated! Nespresso coffee sachets are provided in the room on arrival. Be aware that you have to pay once they're gone. We got 2 each for a 3 night stay then top ups are chargeable. Rooms are basic but clean. From the train station, go under the subway & up the arched stairs. Turn directly right down a tiny street & the hotel is a few yards down on the left. Marilyn Monroe is painted on the side. We went up the main road in error & went a long way round. The right turning looks like a side street but follow by the train tracks & you won't get lost. Breakfast has limited choice but all the key things & a nice dining area with a nice white tablecloth. Fruit & yoghurt, cereal, croissants, ham, smoked salmon & several cheeses, scrambled egg & a sort of cooked streaky bacon/ham thing. No English breakfast but that suited me & it is in France. A good hotel just on the edge of the town. Basic but clean. Rooftop pool is great for a morning snooze. Staff are very friendly & cleaning service even folded my pjs up, which was cute.

"Great place"
emilyK1898AS, 22 Septembre 2016

The spa experience was fabulous. The girls that works there are amazing :) Also, the receptionist was nice with a great sence of humor.. The only thing i was mossing is a fridge in a room.. Will come again gor sure! Thank you.

"Great location!"
Heather M, 19 Septembre 2016

This hotel had a great location, within a 2 minute walk to bus and train station and 5-10 minute walk to the main beach. Reception staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be back again soon.

"Fuss free value for money"
Ganymede10, 15 Septembre 2016

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with a friend, and we had a relaxing and pleasant stay. The hotel is easy to find and the staff were all very friendly. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was immaculate, quiet and the air conditioning helped to keep it nice and cool. We had Our room included continental breakfast, and there was a good selection of food ranging from fruit, hams, cheeses and breads, complimented by 2 large coffee machines and cereals. The location of the hotel is not the most scenic, with the train station right across the street from the front on of the hotel, and a raised 4 lane road above that. However, we ate breakfast in a window seat every day and could not hear the road traffic at all. The trains in France are huge, and so they made a bit more noise, that could be heard, but they son't run 24/7, so I doubt this would be a problem. There are limited car parking spaces, which are on a 1st come basis, and are good vlaue compared to other parking in the area. We used the car to travel to Antibes, and soem other local areas, but being so close to the station, I would say you don't really need a car. Canne's main shopping streets and restaurants are a short hop through an underpass approx 2 minutes from the hotel exit. There is an abundance of places to eat, and we found a good variety of food, all at good value. Back to the hotel, it also has a roof top pool, open from 10am to 10pm and it is a great place to hang out, with plenty of soft seating or sun longers. The pool is not big enough for a healthy swim, but is great to keep cool. Top tip is that the hotel have beach towels available from reception for your poolside use. There is also a shower in the entrance to the pool on floor 6; so if you are checking out early, you can chill by the pool and use the shower to clean up before you leave. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Friendly, clean and quiet.

"Probably the best value in Cannes"
APC68, 13 Septembre 2016

Great position in town by train station, 5 min from croissette...near all restaurants. Great staff, nice intimate ambiance, good breakfast, quiet and renovated rooms, great beds and pillows - the best value in cannes

"Good Location a few meters away from Cannes Train Station"
Orhan A, 09 Septembre 2016

Good location and very few meters away from Cannes Train station. My room was small for twind bed and bathroom was Ok. It was clean and had some compilimantary coffe, cookies etc.. Bed quality is fine. You have no direct sun inside if you stay 2nd floor. There was very good isolation even I stayed at strret side. There was no street and train loudness. Breakfast was very weak. There is a pool at the top and its view is very nice. Hotel staff was very polite helpful. Wifi's quality was very bad in the rooms.

"Decent hotel with pool"
SimonSailor, 05 Septembre 2016

Can't fault the service or booking experience, pool was small but perfect for a short dip and relax, generally good value, however my room was small and shower had mouldy roof tiles, and looking behind the scenes the place could do with a good bit of maintenance. That said great for a short business trip and only 2 minutes from beach and Palais. So give it a clean and a polish and it would be a 4 star

"Best Customer Service Ever!"
Carolyn G, 02 Septembre 2016

In all my years of travelling, I have never experienced the customer service provided to us by Arnaud of the Cannes Best Western hotel. Upon arrival I realized I had made a mistake with our reservation. Arnaud quickly put my mind at ease by suggesting several options. Despite being the lone desk person, he helped us in with our baggage, arranged for a queen bed to be made into two singles and also took the time to direct my husband to the appropriate parking spot. He made our visit fun and memorable. He is a credit to this Cannes hotel and to Best Western in general.

"A Great Cannes hotel!"
carolyn_gill, 02 Septembre 2016

Excellent location and the most helpful staff I have ever encountered in my travels. Arnaud is a credit to the hotel and Best Western in general. Close to all the major sites and shopping. Many excellent restaurants in close proximity.

"This should not be a 4 star!"
jason p, 26 Août 2016

Reception staff miserable and not helpful. Our room bed had an uncomfortable join in the middle and the carpet was dirty. The bathroom ceiling had stains on and the shower glass screen leaked water over the floor.

"Perfect Weekend"
veitchy7, 22 Août 2016

My Girlfriend and I spent 2 nights here recently! It was the most amazing weekend.. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was stunning (7th floor) Pool area was lovely although small (peaceful and quiet) I would advise a visit to the Radisson Blu 360 panoramic restaurant! Truly stunning breathtaking views!

"Good hotel and good located"
El-london43, 22 Août 2016

Very happy with this hotel, only thing I could fault is the price of breakfast and parking, other then that we loved it. Even though the pool looks a bit small it's just big enough for what you need. A lot of people mentioned it being next to the station? Don't really see why that would be a problem!?!

"Great Escape to Heart of Europe !"
Kasra A, 17 Août 2016

Lovely Place, Nice Pool, Family environment, Staff are friendly and helpful , Great Location with modern Facilities , Spacious Room, short distance from center of Happening :-), Quick Walk...Anyway recommended to others !

"Good location"
Kristjaneinarsson, 16 Août 2016

First I would like to praise the staff that where very nice and helpful! The hotel has a good location. I takes 5-10 min to walk down to the promenade where all the Resturants are. The hotel it self is nothing special. You take a tiny elevator up to fairly small rooms. The rooms themselves are modern and pretty decent sleep quality. The breakfast was nothing special and they don't have a restaurant to order food.

"Long city break"
D5557JIjasong, 08 Août 2016

Long city break with the family . Room was very nice and spacious with new bedding and towels every day , rooms have great thermostat air conditioning that is great when returning from a hot day out . Nice breezy chill out area and pool on the roof of the hotel for relaxing after a long day out ..Also very handy and cheap coastline train on your doorstep for trips out to Monaco , nice , st Raffael and more .

"Convenient"
gravitypirate, 25 Juillet 2016

Stayed 4 nights as a single female. Originally given a single bed, l was moved after the first night to a double at my request. Rooms are clean, the beds are vey comfortable and bathrooms modern. You can open the windows too! The lack of a bar fridge, makes you rely on the coffee pod machine and in-house breakfasts, which I purchased on check-in at a reduced rate. A huge selection from fruit to cheeses, cereals and eggs. I was 'issued' 4 pods for the coffee machine, however 2 of them were decaf...which I don't drink, so the 4 extra pods I requested were added to my bill. One pod per day would be a nice gesture! Located on the 'other' side of Cannes near the railway station, it is nevertheless a quick walk either across the expressway or under the railway tunnel. I was a bit concerned about the late night walk as a single female but its well lit and convenient for day tours by train or bus. Also Monoprix is handy. The roof top swimming pool with local views is a bonus, but they need to clear the bins. Would recommend. Matilda at the front desk is an absolute gem.

"Cannes"
markkO9850TL, 19 Juillet 2016

We had been before and had a very good stay. The hotel is very handily placed next to the railway station for day trips up or down the coast. The room was not as good this time particularly the bathroom which had no door and the toilet only a glass door which didn't shut properly. It was well maintained though and the staff were pleasant. The breakfasts at 17 euros each were extortionate for essentially a bowl of cornflakes and a vile cup of French tea. After the second day we had breakfast elsewhere and got much better value for money. Will the continentals ever learn to do a decent breakfast for a reasonable price?

"Poor service and wrong information about the hotel!"
fridelina, 15 Juillet 2016

Very poor service. Confused staff. We didn't got a new towel for the pool even if we asked for it two times during 2 days. Expensive stay and small room without minibar. Only 5 small plastic (?!) cups of coffe was free in the room during 3 nights stay. No possibilities of food at the hotel even if we read that before we booked. Different information everywhere, very confusing. The pool should be open longer in the information about the hotel, but also here it was different. The good thing was the breakfast and the location.

"Niggled"
shelby10_13, 14 Juillet 2016

Stayed 4 nights here. Very convenient to walk to the marina shops and resturants. Great breakfast room and very welcoming staff. You get 4 coffee pods in your room between 2 people. but if you ask for more it's 5.5 euros that's not right for the price paid for the room. Surely you should get the coffee for all days as the price is the same for each night. There's no such thing as complementary coffee.

"Not a 4 star hotel"
Martin A, 14 Juillet 2016

Rooms on the 5ht floor are VERY smal & Old. There is a nasty smell from the carpets we believed to be mold. Make sure to ask for a rom on the 5th floor or higher as they are newly renovated and actually very nice. The staff is friendly and the pool is nice.

"Good location lovely rooftop pool"
rollypolly1, 06 Juillet 2016

Hotel is in an excellent location behind the train sation but nice and quiet. Rooms are clean beds very comfortable. The roof top pool is such a bonus and breakfast is very good. Had a lovely time here. Matilda on reception was very helpful. From Nice airport take the 200 bus it's €1.50 each way takes about 1 1/2 hours and drops you at the train station. Then use the underpass and turn immediately right. Hotel is few yards on the left

"OK, but rooms and breakfast MUST be chnaged/updated"
danut15, 03 Juillet 2016

1. Staff if accommodating and friendly, service is good. 2. Rooms are old and smelly (from carpets); they needs new flooring (hardwood better) and new furniture (all old) 3. Breakfast is below average, tasteless eggs, no vegetables, no hard boiled eggs, no variation from day to day; please, add more French items to breakfast.

"Clean and decent hotel a 10 min walk from beach"
Tannaydave1, 22 Juin 2016

The Best Western is a decent hotel - the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. The gym is small but there is a nice pool. It's about a 10 minute was from the Coisette and the Palais. The downfall is that it is behind the train station, and all that often brings with it, but I always felt safe and comfortable (though if you were a single female I'd perhaps advise you stay closer to the beach area.). Restaurants are a 3 minute walk away.

"BEST WESTERN Cannes Riviera & Spa"
Barabbas_10, 07 Juin 2016

It is a safety choice in good location in Cannes. I have been before to Cannes and had a rough idea where it was. The location is good(behind the train station) and about 5-10 min walk to sea. The service(even through limited) is quite friendly and professional and I really liked that. Our room which was on the 1st floor was nice and big. I liked it(even for 3 adults) was more than adequate. The breakfast as other travelers mention is a bit limited but it is fresh and tasty. The parking in the hotel is 19 euro per day(normal for Cannes). Unfortunately since we were away each day I can not comment on the pool. Overall very safe choice for a first visit in Cannes(close to all attractions, close to the beach, shops, etc). Since we were there for the F1 race, I think if I travel again for F1 I will use the hotel, because there is nothing really bad about the hotel.

"Great location, clean, friendly helpful staff."
lasfargeas2016, 06 Juin 2016

Fantastic location, near to the station, beach and restaurants. The Hotel provides a great breakfast with friendly staff who go the extra mile to help. My room was very clean with a comfortable bed in a spacious area. Lovely bathroom..... with a bath. Amazing rooftop swimming pool. With definitely return.

""Canned" fault it too much"
beck_hoose, 02 Juin 2016

Stayed a weekend at the Riveria & Spa. The reception is not overly inviting, and the lifts are tiny, holding a max of 4 persons without luggage, but we were upgraded to one of the 7th floor rooms which was excellent. The room was spacious, with huge comfy bed and balcony to sunbathe on. The shower was pretty good, with a bath. There is an outdoor pool on the rooftop (8th floor) which is limited in size (approx 10 couples max), that is only accessible from the 7th floor via a spiral staircase. There is no bar facilities at the pool, its only self service from the ground floor bar. There is a spa next door to the hotel, but its not owned by the hotel, so it carries and additional fee to use. The bar is served by the reception straff, so you may have to wait to get served if the reception is busy. The breakfast buffet was ok, decent options at reasonable quality. The hotel is next to the train station, so easy walking distance to the main Cannes attractions, and 1 hour train into Monaco.

"Surprised!"
alanatabz, 30 Mai 2016

The hotel is located close to the railways station and quite compact. When we first arrived (6 of us) we feared the worst as the door in and reception is quite small. However, once we checked in we got room 702, friends of our we travelled with got 701 as well as 622. The rooms appear to have been just refurbished and with that in mind they were excellent. the 7th floor rooms we had, had balconies you could sunbathe on. There are a few small problems, but these didn't impact us in any way... The lift only holds 2 or 4 people (2 lifts) the pool is only accessible via a spiral staircase, so for less abled, not the best place. The staff were friendly and helpful, although with a small number of them the bar isn't manned all the times and if checking in a large party, you may have to wait a while. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes!!!! 5 mins walk from the centre and station so well located!

"Nice stay overall"
julienf24, 30 Mai 2016

Everything was as expected, the location is great without being a prime one. People are nice. Food was good. Parking was very convenient. It was during the festival but wasn't crowded at all. The room was recently re-furbished and was clean. The only thing was that the twin bed was actually two separated bed but we just decided to go with it rather than ask for a change.

"Location"
Eye M, 30 Avril 2016

If you are in French Rivera and wants to travel to and from Cannes, Nice Antibes etc this hotel is located right next to the Cannes train station so convenient for travelling and catching trains. Secondly less than 5 minutes wake to the Cannes old town an La Croisette very safe area. Lots of cafes and small convenient shops around. Very helpful and friendly staff.

"Average hotel portrayed as luxury by Best Western"
Kunal B, 31 Décembre 2015

Best western is extremely good in marketing average properties as high end and luxury properties. I stayed here 3 nights and in those 3 nights the towels and toileries were not even replaced even once. Neither was tea or sugar sachets replaced. While reception and restaurant staff is very friendly and very helpful but I think the best western group needs a serious overhaul. The rooftop pool is an extended bathtub.

""Green Hotel" gives importance to the Art"
Spectraa34, 19 Décembre 2015

I loved the concept there which is eco-friendly and art-minded. You can easily notice some cards around emphasizing the importance of water and asking to think about how much water wasted. The carzy-nice two stewardesses were so kind and really sweetheart, they made me laugh every morning :)) I hope to see them again. There was Spa&Wellness in the hotel, but I was on a business trip and I couldn' t find time to have a look. It is just a few minutes away from the downtown and 10-12 minutes from the prominent. I suggest this hotel for both business and pleasure trip.

"Nice hotel, very friendly staff"
Denis J, 01 Décembre 2015

This review comes late since I stayed there last Summer with my brother. It is a nice hotel, with a wonderful pool on the roof (free access). The rooms are not extraordinary but the value is good. And it is spotless. The special mention is for the very friendly, helpful staff. The lady at reception who seems to be in charge (sorry I forgot her name) is a gem. The sort of person you would imagine in a 5* deluxe hotel ! The location (our main point for staying there) is excellent, walking distance to the center, the station right in front and Le Suquet area. My brother went back since, I did not have the opportunity but would do so.

"Lovely 3 night stay"
Tracey H, 25 Octobre 2015

We stayed in a twin room at the rear of the hotel. The room and bathroom was clean and fresh. All the staff I came across were very pleasant, especially Arnaud who works on reception who was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a quick 3 minute walk, via a subway, from the train station, so you can get here easily from Nice Airport (the train station is called Nice St Augustine). There are loads of cafes and restaurants nearby serving very tasty food for very reasonable prices, much cheaper than I was expecting to have to pay in Cannes! We were room only so didn't use the hotel restaurant. A walk up to the Old Town from the hotel will take about 20 minutes (at a leisurely pace), or it's about 10 minutes to the harbour. Pampered ourselves with a sauna and Hammam massage at the Spa next door (the hotel promotes them and you can put their services on your hotel bill and pay at checkout, but they are actually a separate business from the hotel). Overall a very nice, well-situated hotel. Would happily stay here again.

"Nice Convenient Place to stay"
Smidder, 20 Octobre 2015

Really enjoyed our stay in Cannes. The hotel was right on the other side of the train station and only a few blocks from the ocean. The room was very nice, though the room had a musty smell when it was closed up. We liked that the window in the room opened so we had fresh air and made the sleeps very pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom a good size and clean. This is a good choice when staying in Cannes.

"A good hotel centrally located"
Ralph1940, 19 Octobre 2015

Stayed fro 5 nights a week after the floods. Everything was back to normal except there were no telephones or internet. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately athe air conditioning was not working for the duration of our stay. Car park is extremely difficult to enter especially the lower ground floor. No restaurant except for Breakfast @ 17 euros

"Good Hotel, poor reception, NO Spa"
Egli R, 15 Octobre 2015

The hotel is in a very good location, and rooms are relatively spacious and kind. Breakfast was great, and a pleasure under the assistance of the old lady who worked in the restaurant, very kind indeed. The main issue we had was the lack of information from the reception people. As the hotel promotes so much its Spa, we asked three different people at reception if the Pool, Hamam and Jacuzzi were included and the answers were: 1. Yes! The pool, the Hamam and Jacuzzi are inclusive. 2. I guess so! 3. You should ask at the Spa! After asking to the Spa lady, the correct answer was: "Spa has nothing to do with the hotel, and is completely a different business, and even the indoor pool was not free". This was quite strange because the Spa is present in all the hotel's promotions and also appearing in the access card of the room we had. I don't have any problem for them to charge for the pool, but this must be clearly informed to the customers. This hotel has nothing to do with the Spa, Pool, Hamam, or Jacuzzi. And do not trust to the reception, because the information they have is same as the guests or a pedestrian passing in front of the hotel.

"Nice location but just a poor bed and breakfast"
Misteryguest33, 15 Octobre 2015

Location is nice if you want to go to the congress pavilions. The hotel itself, just a bed a breakfast old style. The best, the crazy emotional woman at breakfast service. Rooms are old fashioned and really tired

"Good location"
Lesley J, 13 Octobre 2015

Just spent 4 days at this hotel last week. Ideally located for the train station, easy access to many destinations . Took about an hour to get to Monaco, this is a must. Beach 10 min walk, shops/bars about 5 mins. Staff very helpful. There is a small pool on the rooftop, When the sun shines it was lovely place to relax

"Good 6 day stay"
Graham M, 03 Octobre 2015

We have just returned from a 6 day stay in the hotel. Found the hotel in a good position and although just across from a busy road and the rail station, very quiet. The room was very clean and well furnished. The only slight problem being that there was no mini-bar, but cold drinks could be got from a vending machine. The coffee m/c in the room also was not as we would have liked - being an espresso machine and not just a kettle. But the hotel is very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast well stocked, better than expected.

"2 nights at the Best Western Cannes."
Jeff T, 01 Octobre 2015

Visited the hotel in mid September.. Good base for the town centre and beach, these being within a 5-10 minutes walk. The rooms were clean and tidy with adequate facilities and all in all a comfortable stay. The breakfast was of a decent quality, but watch out for the very fussy older member of staff in the restaurant. Friendly lady but extremely talkative! My only real complaint was that I had reserved a parking spot at the underground car park at the hotel only to find my bay filled by another vehicle. I was told that no other bays were available and I therefore had to drive to a nearby public car park for the night. I found out the following morning that the car that had occupied my space at the hotel was that of the manager's son. Wasn't impressed by this inconvenience.

"Best Western Riviera"
Geraldine S, 25 Septembre 2015

Had a great holiday in Cannes. The Best Western Riviera is ideally located close to the train station so you have no excuse not to explore the beautiful Riviera coastline. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. Being situated next to a train station one would expect a bit of noise from passing trains/cars... there was no noise at all. I note some comments about the rooms were small and dated. Having stayed in both Nice and Cannes a number of times, the room size in this hotel is standard... if you want a large hotel room in the French Riviera you pay a large price for it! The roof top pool is a nice spot to relax and unwind after a day's shopping. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, we had booked on a room only basis. When returning to Cannes I would stay here again.

"Good location with clean rooms and pleasant helpful staff"
Mark C, 25 Septembre 2015

We stayed here for four nights and took advantage of their garage parking at €19 per day.(Well worth it I my opinion) The hotel is very clean and pleasant, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are quite adequate. The breakfast was first class and all one could ask for in France. It would have been nice to have a tea tray in the room and a mini bar/fridge but there is a coffee machine with pods available (the first 4 being provided and additional pods available at €5.50 for 4) The roof top pool and terrace is convenient place to relax. There are many restaurants very close by(within 200m) once you walk through the underpass and cross the road. The beach is only 200m further down the road in the same direction.(We used Rue des Serbs to get to the beach which is opposite the subway exit and just off to the left) the railway station opposite the hotel did not create any noise and was not noticeable at all. This was an ideal base for us to explore Cannes and the surrounding area. We drove the coast road down to Saint-Tropez and up to Monaco. There were some spectacular views to be had and the knowledge that our car parking space was waiting for us on our return to the hotel was an added bonus. The hotel bar was a pleasant place to sit and relax with a drink before going out into the town for dinner in the evening. I would recommend this hotel as a very good place to stay in Cannes at a reasonable price.

"Don't stay here!"
1973LilyB, 22 Septembre 2015

Checked in 2pm local time hotel check in staff so rude and dismissive of us! Didn't like flyover motorway right in front of hotel although central location immediate setting was rough and very noisy. The room were very small and 1990s decor not as pictured on jet2holidays website extremely disappointed Not 4 star in any sense of the meaning. Showed us 2 other rooms which were just as bad. Offered us an upgrade to their executive double for an additional 140 euros per night. Declined. The hotel charged us one nights stay as cancellation charge and made us feel very uncomfortable. We left 3 hours later having finally booked into another hotel. The overall impression was the couldn't be bothered even the on duty manager. motorwayanmotmotorway

"Poor customer service, but all sorted out in the end"
2012Tommy, 18 Septembre 2015

Because of a water leak they had booked us for another hotel for 2 out of the 3 nights we had planned to stay there, it turned out the other hotel was a real s**thole.. After alot of back and forth we stayed just one night at the other hotel. Best Western upgraded us and we got free breakfast and a bottle of champagne. All in all we leaved the hotel happy, but the whole situation could have been handled alot smoother and faster by Best Western.

"Small but nice"
Mitchwestlondon, 17 Septembre 2015

Well located, clean and the Hotel Manager Arnold was exceptional. Very accommodating and made it his point of duty to ensure we enjoyed our stay, didn't want a tip as he claimed he was only doing his job. I would go back to this hotel just for the hospitality.

"Great hotel and location"
vbartlett79, 13 Septembre 2015

Very nice hotel, not too far from the centre and the train station. Room was comfortable, clean and very quiet (despite being next to a main road). Staff were always polite and very helpful. Didn't get chance to use the pool or spa but I am sure it is very good if the rest of the hotel is anything to go by. Would go again, which I probably will for Cannes Yachting Festival next year.

"Great base for exploring local hot spots"
bobogol87, 29 Août 2015

We chose this hotel based mainly on its location and were not disappointed. The hotel is located immediately by a busy train station where you can get to nice and other towns very easily. It is also in close walking distance to some of the best shops and some great restaurants, bars and cafés. There was a spa and a roof top pool but did not make any use of these facilities during our stay. So cannot comment on their quality but certain we would have used if time allowed. Breakfast was perfectly adequate - a quick coffee and croissant - and there is an eccentric hostess. Good entertainment. Reception staff were polite and helpful. Our room was compact but had all that we needed. This hotel was perfect for us a couple exploring the local hot spots and would recommend this to anyone looking for the same experience.

"Lovely hotel in a good location"

We stayed for five nights. The hotel is in a quiet residential area behind the railway station but it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the beach. We were a little concerned before arriving that there would be a lot of noise from the railway but we heard none. It's very easy to walk to Le Croisette, the beach and the old port and town (Le Suquet), the latter being slightly further and taking around 15-20 mins to walk. Restaurants along le Croisette are pretty pricey but if you head towards the old town you'll get much better value. There doesn't appear to be much near the hotel but actually there is; if you use the subway just up the road you'll find plenty of places to eat just the other side of the station. Our room was a decent size and so was the bathroom. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help and spoke very good English which was useful when I was struggling with my French! The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a good variety of food - juices (from a machine. Freshly squeezed available at extra cost) breads and pastries, meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit and pancakes. You can order fried eggs and omelette at extra cost. The hotel also has a bar. The bar was probably our only disappointment as they had no red wine available and couldn't offer any food. However this wasn't a major issue for us. On the roof is a small pool with a good size sun deck and towels are available from reception. This is ideal if you have a late flight home and want to catch some sun on your last day as you can check out, leave your cases with concierge and then sunbathe at the pool. There is a shower room with hairdryer so you can get freshened up and changed before you need to leave town. Another benefit is free WiFi in all parts of the hotel (although doesn't reach the pool). There is a spa attached to the hotel but we didn't use it. If we travel to Cannes again we would definitely look at staying here.

We stayed in room 326 for 3 nights and found everything to be very clean and comfortable with a good selection of English TV channels! Receptionists were friendly and helpful. Rooftop swimming pool a bonus. Location is near rail way station so not a particularly pretty part of town but well located for la croisette just a short walk and you are there! This hotel is a perfect base and I would recommend. Room are small but have character,

"Horrible hotel Terrible Staff"

I stayed there for only one night with my parents and some friends. The hotel was booked through a travel agency and my room was clearly marked as 3 occupancies. The hotel gave us a super tiny room with a queen bed and they claimed a rollaway bed can be fit in the room when you don't even have a room to walk. We finally got a rollaway bed and the moment my dad sat on the bed, the frame broken. The staff later "fix" the frame and think it's fine to sleep on it. The manager/supervisor later told us that they will offer a solution that I can get an extra room at "special rate". I don't understand when I put 3 occupancies on the reservation and paid for the extra occupancy why I can't get an 'ok' bed to sleep. The rollaway is small, horrible and broken. Btw, the supervisor yelled at me and I never heard a "sorry" from her!

Behind the train station.. 7 mns walk from la croisettes. Very decent hotel staff. And helpfull. The hotel has really tinny rooms but u dun need more than that in cannes. U'll spend the whole day at la croisettes. Take towels with u if u'll spend the day out at the beach. We had great 3 days.
