Best Western Plus Village Park Inn

There was a reservation error that I did not notice in the confirmation email and the front desk staff went above and beyond expectations to rectify the error and make everything correct. A very enjoyable stay, excellent breakfast, excellent location.

The Best Western Plus Village Park Inn is located just off the expressway in Northwest Calgary. We had a good room on the ground floor right across the hall from the hotel dining room where we had dinner and the included breakfast the next morning. Free parking was available right next to the building.

This hotel is my go to while in Calgary, consistently happy with the staff, property and services. Great place to stay and has amenities on the property I appreciate after work if I don't feel like heading out. Also very quiet at night, excellent place stay if you're looking for similar things.

In an area of town that used to be called hotel village as it is surrounded by low cost and budget hotels all built in the 1960s - I really didn't want to like it. I stayed in many of these hotels, including this one, when I was kid. It is a little dingy and dark but in the end it turned out great and the stay was well worth the cost. The rooms are dated but the beds comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and the shower and bathroom clean. The breakfast was very good with a good hot selection and a variety of fruits. Service at the front desk was friendly - I would stay again.

We pretty well stay at Best Western Hotels because they consistently treat us well. The Best Western Village Park Inn is definitely one of our favorites. We are Best Western Rewards members and that gives us complimentary underground parking, which is nice in minus 30 degree temperatures. Their complimentary breakfast is always delicious with a great selection.

Great location as we go to visit my mother in law at Brentwood Intercare in Calgary.Staff needs to communicate better with each other. Clean and quiet Restaurant breakfast not hot although great food choices.We were very disappointed the pool and hot tub were closed with no heads up.Prices are very reasonable and location for us a big plus!

At first this hotel looked promising. Until the small things started adding up. First, we requested early check-in, when we booked months before, to get settled before the football game started. No answer from the hotel. Next we arrived and discovered the hot tub was closed but the pool was open. But only until 9 pm on a weekend? Seems very strange. When we got to our room, it wasn't the room we thought we had booked. The pictures showed a bathroom with an actual shower, not a tin bathtub/shower. Then the closer you looked the worse it got. For me, at least. As a tradesman who takes pride in his work, there obviously wasn't any in the construction of this hotel. That's lowest bidder construction for you I guess. Next time maybe they'll remember to insulate between rooms. The tv kinda sorta worked. The connection was fuzzy at times, and not all the channels listed on the guide were available. There were absolutely no options for ordering a movie or streaming anything. Cable television was the only option. But at least the breakfast was good. Lots of options to choose from and the buffet was well tended by attentive staff. Overall, for a $250 room, a total disappointment. My expectations were much higher. Definitely not going back in the future.

I find it really frustrating when a hotel advertises having a fitness centre and then you discover how deeply flawed the fitness centre is. And how obvious it is that staff ever go there to see if the equipment is working. The exercise bikes were lesson and frustration, and the woman near me using a Different aerobic machine was equally frustrated. You have to pedal to get it going, but then the buttons don't respond to your finger. Takes forever to get it working. The universal gym also was impossible to use. No towels.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, the location was great close to the airport! I would recommend the hotel for my next trip to Calgary. The hotel was a little dated, but the rooms were pretty nice and clean, one of the better properties. Thank you for a great stay!

The Beds were very comfortable with lots of wonderful pillows. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of food choices for every diet. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet, and the towels were large and plentiful. My daughter was recovering from a medical operation, and all of this made our stay more pleasant. The location was easy to access.

Beds were comfy and the room was fine. Bathroom is extremely small and had poor ventilation so having a 5 min shower resulted in the mirror and walls literally dripping with condensation. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It had a large deck area with decent patio furniture so it was easy to supervise. We liked having a room near the pool for convenient access. Pool closes at 9 pm which is nice to keep noise down. Being that the pool is in the atrium with rooms surrounding it, it's noisy. The early closing time was great. Breakfast was a nightmare all 3 days. The hotel had too many guests to accommodate the set up. There were rarely enough tables, food and coffee was forever running out, plates ran out, etc. We were either waiting in line for things to be refilled or standing in a corner eating because there were no seats. Staff worked hard to keep up, but they just couldn't. The tables weren't wiped down between guests. It was total, utter chaos. I'm sure there are days/times when it isn't as busy, but when the hotel is full I would recommend finding breakfast elsewhere. Underground parking is great, but stalls are super small and we had to squish between vehicles and /or pillars and hardly had enough room to open our doors to get in and out. We would stay again as a family, but likely not if it was just adults.

Nice and clean accommodations. Spacious room. Comfy beds. Free breakfast was ok. Convenient location. Free underground parking as we stayed 5 nights. Reasonable rate. Friendly snd knowledgeable staff. I would recommend staying here.

Centrally located and easy hotel access and secure underground parking. Excellent breakfast, Nice menu in the restaurant/lounge. Good value and staff accommodated all my accessibility needs for the bathroom. Front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Staff needs to be more attentive of their guests ...... Front desk people were too busy visiting amongst themselves and left us standing there waiting to check in until we confronted them to see if we could check in. Restaurant had very slow service and we had to wait to be acknowledged.......

Very nice open courtyard concept hotel. Very clean and nicely kept BW. We've stayed here before as a stopover before heading to Banff. Would recommend to travellers looking for a fairly inexpensive 2/3 star hotel but with nice open courtyard concept with indoor pool/ hot tub. Fun for kids too.

Overall a good stay. The floor plan was a little strange and made for a lot of noise with children screaming in the pool right beside the restaurant/bar. Rooms were very clean, appreciated the size of the fridge and the well working AC in this heat wave. Also enjoyed the underground parking. Definitely would stay again, probably one of the largest continental breakfast layouts I have seen!

Great stay! First time in Canada, and this hotel seemed central to everything we had planned. Visiting the zoo, heritage park, stampede, mall, olympic park - everything was around 15 minute drive or train ride. The train was just up the road, maybe a 5 minute walk for average walking speed, really reasonable prices. We paid 3.70 each way per adult to get to calgary centre. Theres a lovely restaurant called Nicks up the road that we tried one evening - unbelievable steak!! So worth the price, not cheap, around 65 for a 12oz ribeye with a side and free salad and free bread. Definitely recommend if staying at this hotel. The hotel itself is absolutely fine, 4*. Just needed a little spruce but ultimately it was super clean (our room cleaners were amazing!) And had everything we needed. Each day we had a refill of x2 bottles of water, fresh cups, tea & coffee which was great & free of charge. Our little one loved the pool, adequate size, never too many people in. The seats around the pool where a lovely touch, wish we could have brought some drinks from the bar (even soft drinks) it would have made for a lovely relaxing evening one night but signs were up saying not to do this. Breakfast each morning, I felt like it was impossible to grumble, it was free. Warm food was either sausage or bacon, then potatoes and scrambled egg. There was then a large selection of continental - bread, bagels, butters, jams, philadelphia, yoghurt, fresh fruit bowl, apples and oranges, pancakes or french toast, oatmeal (certain its made with water, really watery taste, had it once and it wasnt great) toppings for oatmeal and pancakes. They would suprise you every now and then and do quiche or burrito, quiche wasnt the best (as an english person we are maybe a little snobby about quiche) but the burrito was lovely. Plenty of drink options, juices, coffee & teas. Sure i have forgotten something but ultimately it was great. Staff : fantastic, couldnt fault any of them. When you talk to them they talk back politely. They are at work, is anyone thrilled to be at work? No. But they clearly try there absolute best, it must be a good place to work for them to be upbeat and responsive all the time. Restaurant - we had tea twice in the hotel, kids meals are reasonable and adults meals are ok. Pasta choice a little on the expensive side when adding a meat/seafood option based on it being a hotel restaurant. It was nice, just personally not living quite up to that price point taste wise (only by a couple of dollars per person) staff very attentive, did feel a little sorry for the woman working one evening, seemed a little short staffed for the number they had there and we waited a while for drinks but she got there and couldnt be to blame. Car park was super easy to use, plenty of parking available. Overall, if I was to visit Canada again I wouldnt hesitate using this hotel as a base.

We stayed here for 3 nights during the Stampede. The location is way out of town but it is five minutes to the near train station which was very convenient. When we got there we couldn't believe our eyes in that they have a swimming pool and hot tub directly above the restaurant in the middle of the hotel. The rooms are built around a central open space which houses the restaurant and breakfast area and the noise echoes around the hotel. It's completely mad! We had children screaming at the top of their voices whilst we ate dinner and the smell of chlorine prevailed! The staff were lovely and the food is really good, we ate there every night and enjoyed our meals. The hotel is dated and our bathroom was very small but with lovely towels and the beds were comfortable.

Couple of nights in Calgary. Economic value including breakfast. Close to train station to get to city and the Stampede for our stay. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Good base to do a couple of activities around the city without being too hectic.

We were giving the hospital rate, however we're treated less than satisfactory. I suggest staying somewhere else unless they have nobody in the hotel because if they can get a penny more for their room, they will treat you like garbage until you leave.

Usually stay at this hotel the two or three times a year I visit Calgary on business. This time, went to see the Stampeders play and the stadium is across the road (walking distance). So, excellent location, good amenities, room quality is good, and the lounge/restaurant was good.

The hotel was nice and close to the Alberta Children's hospital. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection and the staff working the breakfast were super nice and friendly

The hotel looks very nice and modern. They indoor swimming pool was perfect for the boy. Breakfast was one of the best we had. Not noisy at all.

This hotel is nicely renovated with a great layout having the pool/restaurant atrium with rooms surrounding. HOWEVER the staff, specifically the hotel manager on duty during our stay was extremely rude and ruined the stay for myself the the youth hockey team we booked with. An issue or incident took place with another guest at the pool where this guest was rude and vulgar to another guest. Neither party involved in this incident was associated in any way with me or my group of kids. Instead of addressing the incident by removing or dealing with the involved guest, the hotel manager kicked all of our kids and two other elderly women out of the pool and shut it down 1.5 hours early. When I tried to plead on behalf of my kids who had done nothing wrong he was extremely rude and dismissive. The next night while standing on the balcony, the same manager walked by and grabbed my arm to get my attention and told me “no drinking” assuming the glass bottle of kombucha juice I was drinking as alcohol. It was inappropriate to make an assumption and say something without knowing and much more inappropriate to touch me without my permission.

overall the staff were friendly and very helpful. A few things though if you are handicapped, you can not use the hot tub as it has 6 stairs to get up to the tub.

the hotel is clean and interesting layout, the room was very quiet and comfortable. The location is near downtown but difficult to access if you are driving due to traffic and weird road design.

I had another great stay at the Village Park Inn in Calgary. The staff are always accommodating, and it is a very clean quiet well kept property. Parking is easy and I have an oversize vehicle so it's nice to have outdoor and indoor as an option, and plenty of spaces. The restaurant and lounge were great as always.

Updated property with good amenities. Underground parking is great though elevator can be slow at times. Lounge is nice to have with decent food when you don't want to go out for dinner. Breakfast is better than most but seemed a little fewer options were offered this year compared to previous years.

On our most recent trip to Calgary we stayed one night at this property and was our second time here. Both times we received excellent service from front desk (check in); restaurant service & housekeeping. Complimentary breakfast was good and service excellent. They offer safe, secure underground parking. Rooms always clean and all amenities in good working order. High speed wireless internet very good and nice to have a fridge & microwave in the room. We did not use the indoor pool or whirlpool but nice feature inside the property. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Really amazing hotel staff can't say enough about their service. Breakfast is good with a surprisingly large amount of fresh fruit.

This may be our new go to place when we stay in Calgary. The hotel was comfortable,clean and we liked the bar/restaurant right in the hotel so we didn't have to leave once we'd checked in.

I stayed in many Best Western hotels across the province. This one one of the best I have pleasure to stay. Planning to stay there again with my kids this summer. Front desk service was very helpful above expected.

Dog barking till 2am when repeated complaints made nothing happened. Very little compensation made by staff in the morning for a terrible night sleep

This is the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. My TV volume cannot drown out the noise of the first floor pool in my room on the fourth floor. There are hours of screaming at night and I am embarrassed to have booked this place. It's popular with hockey teams where no one supervises the children and parents drink in the hallways.

If you were looking for a relaxing, stay where you can sleep in, this is not the hotel for you. The rooms face a pool where you can hear children screaming all day and all night. There is no adult time in the pool so you have to share the pool and hot tub with small children. This was not a relaxing stay at all. I would recommend another location if you are an adult traveler, seeking relaxation.

The service, cleanliness and overall experience was very good. The location is a bit tough if you do not have a car. The LRT (Banff Trail Station) is an easy walk away, if you do not have any concerns taking this mode of transport as takes you into the heart of Calgary.

We were so happy with everything about this hotel for our 6 day stay. From check-in to check-out everything went very smoothly. We appreciated how quiet it was in our room as well. I'd definitely recommend it!!

In searching for a hotel to stay at that was close to the Foothills Hospital and checking out several hotels in Motel Village are, a very close friend recommended Best Western to me. I trusted their review, and booked for a 5 day stay as had to be close to the hospital. My friends recommendation turned out to be right on. I definitely will come back again but for relaxation purposes instead of medical. The staff are courteous, polite, helpful and the food was very tasty and the room was very attractive and clean Thanks to all the Staff and Management at Best Western, and definitely will stay at your hotel and other Best Western Hotels in other cities.

As time passes and I require more testing and procedures for my health, I always stay at Best Western across from the hospital. ( i live in town) This makes my travel for testing a very short trip and i can rest easy before and after treatments / tests. The first time there I found it a bit tricky to hit the main entrance. I have stayed probably 6 times in 2023 and have never had a bad experience.

Can't say enough about this hotel from the staff to the amenities to the the location with easy access to many areas. We were here for surgery and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. The rooms are comfortable, food is great and staff are accommodating and friendly.

Awesome customer service . My wife had surgery at Foothills Hospital during our stay and the staff was very courteous and helpful. We had to arrive a day early and were able to book the room and then had to add another day and that was also done. Thank you to all the staff. Loved the restaurant in hotel which helped with having to leave the hotel after a day with my wife at the hospital.

Very clean room and amenities, helpful and friendly staff, food was good and complimentary breakfast was actually decent (they so often aren't). Overall really happy with our stay as well as the location of the hotel.

Atrium design very nice. Rooms ok, a little dated. Bathrooms could be nicer, very small. 25 min walk to Foothills Med Ctr. Food pretty good and reasonable, nice bar/restaurant. Waiter Steven was awesome! Free breakfast was good. Hot and fresh. Would definitely return.

Travelling from BC. arrived at hotel late check in quick and the front staff were friendly. Bed average Shower great hot and lots of pressure Breakfast needs a lot of improvement not good at all good tastes off and not a lot of selection for the price you pay for the hotel expecting more Rooms and hotel was ok Area was ok also

Stayed here during our trip. Location was great, service was friendly and helpful. Hotel room was clean. Plenty of Breakfast options. Had an issue connecting to internet but was quickly fixed with help from front desk. We enjoyed the hot tub and fitness center.

Great hotel, stayed here for one night the night of our wedding. Stayed in the suite with a jacuzzi Clean and spacious room Great location especially with it being across from McMahon stadium and close to UofC. Pool and hot tub is very nice Friendly staff

Great staff, clean rooms and comfy beds. Pool is nice, continental breakfast is generous. Secure underground parking is a plus. Only 10 minutes to Foothills, so a reasonable cab fare if needed. Medical rate was great, even in summer. Only downside was the TV format and remote could stand to be upgraded, haven't had to watch a Chanel guide slowly go around in years.

We had an unexpected medical emergency and stayed at the hotel 2 nights. The service was great from booking over the phone, checking in and everything else. Hot breakfast was a nice way to start the very hectic days and the convenience to the Foothills Hospital was amazing. The cameras in the parking lot also help ease some anxiety of parking in the lot. My husband had forgot his wallet on the ledge outside our room and once it was reported to the front desk, the front desk attendant knocked on our door and the wallet was returned with all money ($700) still in it. would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!!

We were staying with our family and dog. When we booked over the phone, the lady suggested to add that we wanted a "quiet room" (forewarning?) so we did. When we arrived the front desk was friendly and apologized that the room was across the elevators, but nothing else. No worries. The room had no bedding for the pull out couch and the guy who brought it said not a word, just handed the linen and left. The pool was ice cold. The shower temperature varied from ice to searing. This all would be ok, except for what happened next... At 8 pm. there was a wedding reception directly beside our room with loud karaoke until midnight. I did call and ask for ear plugs, which they brought without a word. I didn't sleep much that night. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of options.

The area was sketchy and not great to access. Across from the stadium. It has great underground parking which big vehicles can fit in. Nice set up with stairs and elevator. However the pool is very small and the hot tub is TINY. You're in the open in the middle of hotel which is a bit odd. Small awkward bathroom layout in the room. Breakfast was good.

We stayed for two nights. Very clean, the layout of the hotel is great. Elevators are bit slow. But really enjoyed what we got for the prices. We had been travelling and this was definitely the best bag for your buck.

The pool was disgusting the water had not been treated with enough pool chemicals so you got out smelling like dirty feet. We had to stay as my family member was in the foothills hospital in icu fighting for her life after a car accident. The room medical compassion rate is $150 which is horrendous. So not only do you have the stress of your family member fighting for their life you have to stress out about the fact that how the hell are you going to be able to afford to stay in a city you don't live to stay close to the family member. The rate needs to be reconsidered. Especially since people using it in that situation use it the same as we did for a few short hours to sleep.

Rooms are okay, washrooms are small and without exhaust fan. The breakfast was average with no proper vegetarian options. 1 pancake machine for all the guests and it caused huge line up in the morning.

Hotel staff very friendly. The rooms are updated. Bathroom is quite small but fine. The room doors are old and because of the hotel layout being open there is a lot of noise. But by 10:30 pm it was pretty quiet. Pool and hot tub are small but clean. Breakfast was ok. It's a bit of a scattered set up they have but staff were attentive and food was constantly restocked.

This hotel has it all. Large clean rooms, pool, hot tub, restaurant, free breakfast and secure underground parking. It sits right next to the main roadways to get anywhere in any direction in Calgary. It's only a 10 minute walk to the C-Train if you want to use public transportation. The staff are very friendly, courteous and provide exceptional service. This place is the best!

This is my all time favorite hotel and I have traveled to a lot of countries and have stayed in many hotels. Layout of rooms very comfortable,clean and well provisioned but truly my most favorite thing is the front desk staff. I booked my room online wrong and git the wrong rate and when I told them it was just fixed. No problems or big discussions it was just promptly and courteously fixed. I always feel valued and welcomed by the staff. Free morning breakfast is amazing staff very attentive and wonderful selection.

I visited the BW Plus Village Park Inn during Stampede Days and had an enjoyable stay. The front desk staff were very helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and equipped like most hotels with a mini-fridge, TV, coffee maker, and AC. The surprise was in the form of free snacks, which was above-and-beyond what I had experienced in BW and similar hotels in the past. Breakfast was included in the cost, and it consisted of a suite of cereals, yogurt, fruit, breads/buns/bagels, and the standard hashbrowns, eggs, and sausages plus coffee, tea, and milk. I had a 4th floor room tucked away from the main hallway, so, it was nice and quiet. The atrium in the middle of the hotel does have a pool, and it can be noisy in the early evening. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, and I would recommend to stay here.

The desk people were exceptionally helpful. They steered us in the right direction to take the public transit to the Stampede. (Bad pun.). The stop was a short walking distance. The breakfast is very good. Best coffee we have had in one of those included AM meals. We returned from the rodeo too exhausted to go out again and the in house restaurant was surprisingly good. My salad was delicious.

I stayed here in Summer 2023 and it was a very nice hotel. The place is well maintained, they have a very big pool and a nice restaurant. There is underground parking and surface parking. Its great if you want to stay with a family because the pool was really big for a hotel. IF you really don't like the smell of a pool or any noise during the day it may not be the best spot for you.

The Best Western Plus Village Park is an excellent hotel that is modern, clean, well appointed and reasonably priced. If you are going to Banff, it is located on the west side of the city and right on Hwy 1.

Booked here specifically because they had laundry facilities. Myself and a few others needed to do a some wash and were upset that upon trying to use the dryers, one took over two hours to dry and clothes were still wet and the other dryer ate all the coins and wouldn't turn on. Super frustrating when you're passing thru and need a pit stop for a good nights rest and the ability to do a load of laundry and end up with loads of undried clothes. There were other issues we ran into(mainly lacking things in the room) but those are small in comparison. Do better BW. Fix your dryers and update your rooms.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a 1 night work trip. This hotel is very nice inside, has a great restaurant and also the staff is very friendly and accommodating, they allowed me to check in early when I arrived as well. Rooms are excellent and beds are very comfortable. It is also a quiet hotel once the pool closes, which isn't late anyway. I will stay again!

I stay in Calgary for business several times a year, and find that the Village Park Inn has the best value and location. Hot breakfast is appreciated. Easy to get to and from other locations in Calgary and the on site restaurant is there if you don't want to go out.

This hotel was perfect for us 5 mins from the Foothills hospital. Perfect room with couch and comfortable king bed for me to recover in. Great breakfasts. A nice workout room for my husband to keep busy. Great food at the pub. We didn't even have to go out. Even washed the car in the garage. Friendly staff Nice clean hotel. Perfect to recover comfortably

Change TV to smart TV. Pressure of water is less ...it tooed me thirty minutes to finished because the flow of water by the shower is less.... Shampoo and conditioner were good especially the lotion..

We have stayed at the Village Park Inn many times over many years. It is a reliably comfortable, clean and safe haven, minutes away from Foothills Hospital and with ready access to several malls. The heated underground parking is a terrific benefit in horrible weather.

Our last night away from home after Christmas travel. The hotel offers nice, clean rooms. There is room for your luggage to be set up and the bathroom has room for two sets of toiletries. The heating/cooling works efficiently and is not noisy. The pool is not cold and deep enough to enjoy by an adult. There is no water slide. The hot tub works wells and could be slightly warmer but it has been operational every visit even during winter. The restaurant has good selection of food items and is a pleasant space for a meal. The included breakfast has numerous hot and cold selections to suit most everybody and there is sufficient room so that everyone in not crowded. Location along major travel routes makes it east to get around and the underground parking is appreciated during the winter months. Pricing is fair during the winter and shoulder seasons.

The hotel location was excellent. Very convenient having a restaurant in the hotel. Heated underground parking was great especially when the temperature was -21 C! Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a really great experience. Neelu, at the front desk, was a pleasure to work with. She accommodated an early check-in and also helped us extend our stay at this hotel. We really liked the hotel atmosphere and enjoyed the hot breakfast and heated garage parking. They also have great wifi. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Calgary!

Absolutely no disappointments! The rooms were very clean and accommodating and the staff was friendly and helpful. It had everything that I needed and I loved the underground parking. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have stayed here many times, and I wish they would update their address to be more accurate. It is not technically on Crowchild, but on a side road that runs parallel to it. Staff was friendly, but didn't get the rooms I requested. Our room was good, but we did not have any conditioner or body lotion. It was wall mounted, with body lotion super low and conditioner missing completely in shower. We asked but only received five tiny little bottles of body lotion. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Would prefer a mini fridge of yogurt selections, but it was recently changed to a yogurt dispenser that only has one flavor: french vanilla.

I had a Dr appt, Best Western had a special rate if you have a medical appt. I felt it was excellent value , the included breakfast is excellent. The onsite restaurant/lounge is worth eating at, good food and drink.

We had a great stay in this well designed and modern hotel. The breakfast area was very spacious. Good variety of foods. Great open indoor pool area. Most important… everything was very clean. We highly recommend this hotel.

My family and I were happy and beyond satisfied. The hotel delighted us with friendly staff, clean room or ambiance, and yummy food( complimentary breakfast). With safe parking and chrome cast TV, I was able to catch up with the Korean episodes via my Netflix subscription. Highly recommended! Easy to book and check in - affordable price yet with 5 Star experience.

We were there for a medical procedure and it could not have been handier. Garage parking near elevator and our room right across the hall. Good food & service. Pool & spa warm & clean. Highly recommend this BW.

We stayed for 10 days oct/Nov 2022 and found everything was wonderful and the staff were excellent whenever we needed any help but that wasn't very often. The most help was when staff told us NOT to turn left at the lights up the street to get to the Foothills Medical Centre, but to turn right and carry on that way to 16th, saved us all kinds of aggravation.

Went for a trip to the hospital for my Daughter and decided to stay a night at the hotel. Love the idea that we could book a late check out on the web site because she has a small Baby and we needed a place to stay while she went for her test. With the breakfast included and the quality of the food it was a great choice to stay here. I will be recommending this as a great place to stay in Calgary

Attended a concert on campus. Hotel staff professional & friendly, rooms clean and have everything you need. Restaurant on site convenient, service friendly & efficient, food was as expected for pub grub, arrived quickly, cooked well and tasty. Breakfast was again efficient, lots of items to choose from and space to sit. Staff attentive and helpful. I would recommend and will stay here again.

Eight of us in total came to Calgary to attend a musical concert. Everyone was pleased with all that the hotel had to offer. From the underground parking, pool, hot tub, food and location, all was quite satisfactory.

Whilst the hotel stay inside was good, the fact my truck was broken into overnight left me with a very bitter taste. All the staff said was that they would review the video footage. I won't stay there again.

Travelling with a pet can be challenging, many pet friendly hotels tend to place you in a dirty, outdated room. The Best Western exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, comfortable and not shoved off away from amenities. The buffet breakfast had a good selection, though we wished the fruit salad had been available every day! The hotel restaurant was also good quality and reasonably priced, we were very impressed.

breakfast was cold the lounge restaurant food was cold the pop was warm air conditioner wasn't working properly also at checkout time i went to pay my card was declined later phoned the credit card company they said it was declined for a wrong pin number the person at the desk said that your credit card was not set up for that type of payment option it would be nice if it would be a option fortunately i had another credit card

Travelled from Ottawa to Calgary and back. This Best Western was home base for several nights, and we were extremely happy with all aspects of the hotel. Staff, cleanliness, location near U. Calgary which was necessary for our stay, buffet hot breakfast was excellent, pool and hot tub clean, restaurant was very good and not overpriced, plus several vegetarian meals. This particular Best Western deserves 5 stars.

Amazing hotel! Extremely clean and very accommodating! Pet friendly too! The staff are very quick to help and are always looking to make sure your stay is that much more enjoyable! The pool is a great temperature and is salt water so chemicals are not a worry for little ones!

Stayed for the weekend, room was very clean, service was great. Breakfast was very good, a few choices in buffet. Liked that there is underground parking with a fee unless you are a member and pets allowed (with a fee) as well. Would stay here again for sure.

The front staff are very helpful. The service staff do their job quietly and efficiently. The pool and hot tub are clean and , though I didn't use them this time around, they were being used by families each time I walked by. The lounge area was clean and well serviced, though the closing hours could be later.

This Best Western Plus far exceeds any hotel I have ever stayed at. From the check in, to the stay, to the check out - everything when so smoothly. Made for a very relaxing stay during my medical procedure.

9 rooms before we found one with clean bedding, covers and/or mattress. Ignored by management when we looked for restitution, very poor service and standards, just a horrible experience. The sad thing is we have stayed at this location before with little or no issues. Best Western has declined significantly over the past years.

Slow check in process but once checked in the stay was fabulous. Excellent food, quiet evenings and housekeeping staff was exceptional. Very good discount if you are in town for medical reasons. Would choose this hotel again in the future.

The hotel is centrally located which is nice. The pool is on the 2nd floor as was our room. Beautiful room with 2 beds, nice bathroom, clean, great view of Mcmahon Stadium. We ate pizza in the restaurant and a 12 inch was enough for all 3 of us. Tastes great too! Pool and hot tub were nice. Lots of parking although underground was not suitable for big pick-up truck like ours but we parked outside. Bed comfortable and great for my husband and daughter who are soft bed and pillow sleepers but I am hard bed and pillow sleeper so at least 2/3 got good sleep. Very quiet in room considering lots going on outside. They accomodate pets. Nice to see! Altogether great visit! Would highly recommend.

Hotel has a decent layout for being 40+ years old. Renovations over the years have clearly have been subpar on minimal budgets. Disappointing that with s full kitchen there was no flatwarevor utensils for use during our stay. Wasn't happy with the cleanliness of our room.

Tons of great gluten free breakfast options in the included breakfast, which if you need gluten free and had a hotel breakfast before you will understand why thia is my selling point. They layout of the hotel was super cool as well and the staff were helpful and accommodating to our needs loved it

Excellent service and reasonable service. The only problem is the access road to the hotel. Administration must push the City to complete the access road. Full breakfast service has resumed after the CODID. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Fridge and microwave are in the room.

Very easy to check in and the hotel layout is wonderful, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, overall was very satisfied with our 3 day stay for the Calgary Stampede… there was a little bit of a walk to the C-line train but very doable….

I was given a room with wet stains and red spots on the rug. I'm hoping it was remnants of red wine. The north side of the hotel outside had piles and scattered garbage everywhere. Even the garbage can in front of the hotel was overflowing with garbage. It looked terrible. This surprised me being a Best Western. The staff at the Front Desk were very friendly and polite.

Stayed here, based on reviews and the reasonable prices, and we were not disappointed. A little tricky to get to the hotel off 16th as they're doing some road construction, but all good once you figure it out. Hotel is somewhat dated with the interior courtyard style set up, but it works and it's nice. Lots of natural light and a cool design with the staircases. Indoor pool/hot tub too in open view for our use, but the kids seemed to have fun using it. Room was good - comfy beds, great outlets for electronics, good storage, and lots of bottled water. Bathroom was a little small, lighting is not the most flattering, the sink (though modern) sits above the counter which can make things a little messy, and you have to reach behind to get the shampoo etc. in the shower, which makes it a little challenging with older guests. The tub is a little slippery too, which my parents said made them feel a little unsafe even with the bar. The free secured parking underground was convenient and felt safe. The highlight of our stay really was the breakfast. An amazing complimentary breakfast buffet with hot and cold items that were plentiful and constantly replenished. The seating area was open and ample, they use real cutlery and plates, and the staff work really hard at keeping the items stocked and tables cleared. The list is long, but the breakfast items included real scrambled eggs, hashbrown potatoes, rotating protein like sausages, ham, and real bacon. They had lots of fixings for the eggs like onions, green peppers, shredded cheese and salsa. There were fluffy pancakes with whipped cream, hot oatmeal with lots of fixings, cereals, breads/pastries, yogurt, a variety of fruits, and your juices/milk (almond milk too) and coffees/teas. The breakfast stayed open until 10 so plenty of time to enjoy. My dad can't have dairy and he felt relieved when he learned the eggs and oatmeal didn't contain milk products. We very much enjoyed our stay and decided to book a couple more nights at the end of our trip. The front desk clerk was even able to provide us with a very reasonable rate as well. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great hotel. Stayed there while my husband was getting surgery at foothills hospital- is a bit of a round about to get to with construction between the two but staff was great. We were thankfully able to early check in and late check out as well which was incredibly helpful as my infant child wasn't allowed in the hospital. She was able to hang out with grandparents in the hotel rather than having to find somewhere to entertain her in the mean time. Lots of selection for breakfast - Hot and cold Clean room a decently quiet even with pool and restaurant in center of atrium outside of hotel room doors

Clean and comfortable stay! Room was immaculate. Beds comfortable . I like the mirror and shelf outside bathroom with plug. Free coffee and water bottles in room daily which was so appreciated. Pool was a bit on display for my liking so we didn't use it but looked clean. Everything is well taken care of. Breakfast had most variety I've ever seen. Well stocked and clean area. We would definitely stay here again !

The room was very clean with a fridge (with small freezer) and microwave. The beds were very comfortable and the water temperatures in the pool and hot tub were perfect. The food at the extensive breakfast buffet was good.

Since our last visit to this hotel the upgraded décor and large breakfast buffet have significantly improved the ambience and comfort of the services offered. Our (upgraded) top-floor Queen room was comfortable and well maintained with daily housekeeping and lots of bottled water, coffee pods, cream pods, and towels. The staff are welcoming and go out of their way to assist and respond to any requests. Convenient, secure underground parking, excellent location and comfortable rooms make this our recommended choice.

The hotel layout is great with the walk around balcony makes it even better. The food at the restaurant was real good and good value. They have a great breakfast with lots of options. Close to a lot of shopping and restaurant.

My husband had to have an emergency surgery for an artery blockage. A family member recommended I stay here, as I was back and forth from the hospital. Excellent service and super comfy bed and clean rooms. Discount for hospital purpose also. They gave me a room off to the back so it was quieter area from the pool. Really impressed me ... I will be back with family for a weekend stay.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The reason I didn't give five stars is because the restaurant food is not that good and the bathrooms are super small. Otherwise the layout is nice with pool and restaurant and rooms overlooking everything.

It was clean but then nothing was done after we checked in. Made our own beds. Had to ask for clean towels and take the dirty wet ones out ourself. The breakfast was ok. Wasn't noisy. Some staff were not very friendly.

Our daughter was attending the 28th annual Calgary Open Ballroom dance comp. Best Western had a special rate for the competitors as it was a close hotel for the competition. We came in late on a Friday night, greeted by friendly staff and of course other excited dancers! The room was very spacious and clean. We were able to park underground very easy. The buffet breakfast is fantastic. Getting up very early and able to go down to get some food to bring up was very nice. We will definitely stay again for future dance things or when we do our annual Calgary Zoo trip!

Stayed in a King Atrium Plus Room. We stayed here for 1 night as a stopover before heading to Banff. The hotel itself isn't bad an the rooms are quite large but is quite basic. The design with the atrium in the middle is nice for providing light but does make it noisy as the swimming pool is located there. The location is fine for a stopover but if you're exploring Calgary then definitely stay closer. The one good thing was the breakfast which is free and had a good variety of hot and cold.

Great staff, clean rooms, neat atrium. The 4 of us enjoyed out stay. Access to the hotel was problematic due to the construction going on everywhere but once we got there everything went smoothly. No complaints on our stay

Overall a fantastic experience. The staff are very friendly knowledgable and willing to help. The pool area is great and I liked the modern courtyard feel of the overall set up. We enjoyed the lounge atmosphere as well as the hot breakfast buffet!

This BW had all that other BW's have. It has spacious atrium that has the restaurant/lounge beside the pool that closes at 10pm. The noise from the activity at the pool echos through the atrium but I didn't find it bothered me and once the pool is closed the area is quiet. The staff was prompt, friendly and helpful.

I stayed here as a friends family was staying here while she was in Hospital. I was checked in by Ronald who was super friendly and attentive. When he found out i was staying at thebhotel duebto my friend being in hospital he extended the compassionate discount to my booking which was going above and beyond in my books. The rooms were comfortable and easy distance away from the hospital which was convenient. Had a good stay apart from the circumstances that lead me there! Would highly reccommend.

I got a very good room for the Calgary Expo 2022. The room was very clean and LARGE. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I travel a lot for business this is more rare than one would think.

Everything was excellent from breakfast to other stay details. Bottles of water in the rooms, parking complimentary if you're a BW rewards member, and clean room with option of daily cleaning service. Breakfasts were outstanding, food variety, flexible times, and service. Excellent hotel with good prices.

Loved it here. Pet friendly and secure parking. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were quiet and clean. Pool is a good size but would have been nice for it to be open later in the evening. Breakfast was great and the staff kept the food replenished.

Stayed for one of my annual medical appointments at Foothills Medical Center, which can be stressful and unpredictable. Was nice to stay somewhere comfortable and reliable. Best breakfast in town, by far! Love the underground parking, and social/respectful atmosphere.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this hotel and it is my go to when in the Northwest of Calgary. Convenient to getting in and out of the city, close to hospitals and leisure. Right from check in to check out you are made to feel as if your business matters to all employees.

We loved staying in the hotel , we loved the pool it was right opposite to our room no noise and disturbance. Staff was very friendly & helpful . It was a great stay . We would be back soon , Thumbs up

Construction has been going on for over a year it feels like. Don't rely on GPS, use Banff Trail and 23 Ave to go around to the hotel. Parking extremely limited if your vehicle is over 7' high. Check in takes a long time, even with preregistration. Rooms were good but cleaning is rushed. Friendly staff, great Internet.

This hotel was very clean and the staff were fantastic, check in was a breeze and when we needed more towels they brought them right away - Breakfast Buffet was wonderful - the Grandkids got to swim. Used express checkout so was easy

Very satisfied, clean and the location is central. Perfect! The hot breakfast was limited to scrambled eggs, sausages , potatoes and pancakes which was Okay. The pool and hot tub are nice and in the middle of the main floor.

My stay was due to my husband's sudden medical condition and his need to stay at the Calgary Foothills Medical Centre to recover. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I was especially thankful that there were laundry facilities for guests. Thank you.

It was the first time we travelled with our dog and it was a wonderful experience. There were three others we saw with a pet as well. The front desk staff were very friendly and offered our dog a biscuit.

My daughter and I spent the night and really enjoyed our stay. The service, staff and amenities were fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The pool was fun and a cool experience that we were very happy about. Our dinner was delicious and the food and service at the bar/restaurant and front desk was Fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean and comfortable, though it was a little dark and we were not keen on the cool white light bulbs used in the light fixtures. Included breakfast had a nice variety of items and hot items were replenished frequently. Location worked for our needs but not very nice outside of the building.

The hotel was very lovely, well kept and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the Continental Breakfast and Room Service Dinner. The pool and hot tub were really nice as well but could be a bit warmer. The hotel staff and other guests were very careful about Covid Protocols.

Friendly and efficient Reception, free covered parking, spacious bedroom but cozy bathroom, excellent furnishings, comfortable queen bed, and a very reasonable price. Now, if only the pool/hot tub & restaurant areas didn't have a roof it would be the perfect stay-cation resort location.

The overall feel of the facility is very homely and relaxing. Very easy to find although difficult to get into with the construction going on in front. Overall, I was able to relax and prepare sufficiently for the event I was attending the following afternoon.

My son's hockey team booked two nights at this hotel. Check in was not the greatest. I had prechecked in and was told that I didn't have a room. After several times, she found the room. The sofabed was made as requested but it's busted, and on a slant. Uncomfortable sleep. Do not order the pizza - we had the pizza buffet for the team and it was not good. No taste, soggy, and had to constantly wait for more pizza to come out. We weren't told about construction and parking was an issue, even trying to get into the hotel was bad as roads were closed.

Had to check in late. Told them we would be checking in late around 1AM, when we reserved room. We checked in went up to the room and found key card would not work. Few minutes a man opened the door said we had the wrong room. The hotel gave away room we reserved. 3rd floor 2 Am in the morning lugging all our stuff around was not happy they gave room away.

This Best Western in Calgary is always very clean and well maintained. It has a beautiful open atrium that the rooms all open up to. The staff is very kind and very friendly. They always treat us with the utmost respect and call us by our names even before we are checked in. Their restaurant has delicious food!

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past four years. It is extremely clean, the air inside the building is fresh. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are quiet. Check in/out is efficient. The only problem lately - to no fault of the hotel - is the amount of road construction surrounding the site which can make it a little tricky getting in/out. I highly recommend this hotel. The C train has a stop nearby if you want to travel to downtown or elsewhere and do not wish to drive. The staff are pleasant and attentive.

When I first pulled up to this hotel, I thought I'd made a terrible mistake. There was construction going on in front and the hotel didn't look great from the outside and there were security cameras everywhere. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I went inside. It had a nice lobby with all the rooms surrounding an atrium. There's a pool, hot tub, and restaurant that serves a wonderful free breakfast with both hot and cold items. The rooms are nicely appointed, the beds comfortable, and the tv's have Chromecast so you can watch movies and shows from your own devices. All in all, this hotel is a great value, and I would definitely stay here again.

Yes it's the time of Covid-19 and daily housekeeping is not provided, but on the third day of my six day stay my room needed attention, I requested housekeeping, only to find on return no one had touched my room; I had to go to front desk, as my call was not answered, to request towels, coffee bar items and soap. Next day requested housekeeping had obviously been as my beds were made and fresh towels. However the accumulated dust and dirt at the baseboards off the laminate floor was still there and bed linens had not been changed, there were blood spots from a scratch. This poor attempt left me wondering about the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel and left me feeling unsafe. Each time I mentioned the lackluster housekeeping (3 times) the answer was “I'll let management know “. Didn't help me as a customer.

Restaurant lounge great food, losts of other choices in the area, staff very helpful. Great indoor outdoor parking, nice suites with indoor outdoor balcony's. Breakfast inculded is good.Walking in this area of Calgary is very nice beautiful parks

Front desk staff did not wear masks when serving customers (no plexiglass screen at our check-in station). Food service staff wore masks below noses. Guests are not required to wear masks when self-serving buffet breakfast and no "sneeze guards" to protect buffet food from contagion. Will not stay here ever again.

Underground parking and elevator to your floor was great. Room was clean with good internet. Small fridge which was not turned on. It worked fine after I turned it on. Very small bathroom for a King room and half the holes in the shower head were plugged. ALL the rooms in the hotel are subject to the noise from the pool. If you require peace and quite, choose another hotel. This hotel does not have a FULL service full menu restaurant. It is self serve breakfast ( I am a bit handycapped and NO staff offered to help me. Totally unacceptable.) Very short menu for lunch or dinner.

The hotel cleanliness was questionable. There are no showers or washrooms by the pool. I believe that if someone, like a child had to pee, they would not want to take the time to go all the way to their room.

Excellent location in Calgary with outstanding staff and amenities. Underground parking is a bonus especially in inclement weather. Handicap parking also available. Great breakfast included. Restaurant offers good selection at reasonable prices.

Cons: Hotel rooms are not ventilated well and smell bad and very tired. swimming pool and restaurant are in the centre of the building and wide open to each floor, it's very noisy when it's open with guests. parking spot underground is very narrow. Pros: Breakfast is very good, plenty of choices. staff were friendly.

For years now when I go to Calgary I choose to stay at this hotel as it is always kept very clean. The staff are very kind and helpful. I love the set up of the place with the pool and restaurant in the middle. The continental breakfast has always been better than any other hotel I've been at. Wonderful place to stay!!!

My son, grand-daughter and I stayed for 3 nights so we could visit family and participate in Heritage Park's Railway days. This is my hotel of choice when I go to Calgary - it is affordable, has free breakfast, is within walking distance to the Banff C-Train station and to multiple restaurants as well. We had a main floor room with an outside entrance. The room was very clean and spacious. The fridge and coffee maker worked very well. The table & chairs in the room was appreciated for in-room dining. The beds, pillows and linens were all so very comfortable. The air conditioning was awesome! The room was quiet when the door to the inside hallway was shut. The breakfast buffet was good (scrambled eggs with rotating protein every day - bacon, sausage, ham) - although I did miss the potatoes they normally have. the boiled eggs sitting in water in the tray where potatoes would normally be was just odd and the eggs outsides were a touch leathery. The waffle maker station was still closed due to covid which was disappointing - but we appreciated that the breakfast buffet was finally reopened and we did not have to have a bagged to go breakfast. Kudos to the breakfast room staff - it gets quite busy during peak times and they responded beautifully! Our cable would keep freezing on our TV and we could not get their offered Chrome-cast to work from our tablets (we asked for assistance but the lady at the front desk wasn't sure how to help), so we made do without the TV which was unfortunate because we wanted to have a movie night while there. My grand-daughter and son enjoyed the pool, although he did say it was a tad cold. My son thought the 'Pantry' was great - lots of snacks and pop for us were purchased. Our last night there we ate in the lounge. The steak was delicious and the service was fantastic! The previous night, we ordered room-service from them - the all meat pizza was really good and the delivery was prompt. Be forewarned, the designated smoking area is a dangerous place to stand with the cars getting confused by the construction or even from those driving out of the parking lot. We were almost hit a few times while standing there. The hotel should move this designated area to a less dangerous spot and make it more inviting with perhaps a bench? You are a 100% smoke-free hotel (which I love) but people who smoke or vape, pay for their hotel stay with the same money that non-smokers do and deserve the same amount of respect and consideration. Rather than making them stand by a light pole at a busy road entrance/exit with cars always coming and going - let these paying guests have a more safer space, and more inviting with somewhere to sit with their coffee rather than a dirty metal electrical box (that they probably shouldn't be sitting on anyway).

Great stay, super staff & pet friendly! We had a ground floor room with outside access. Ability to park outside the room as my spouse is recently disabled & our puppy needed to be able to go outside quick :) Breakfast was excellent! Thank you Ronald, Linda & the rest of the staff.

I stay at hotels regularly for leisure and business (pre covid) this was my first time back and I can honestly say it was horrible. If hotels cannot control children and their parents from from making noise all day and into the night and using all the towels so we hotel guest have none to shower with in the hotel we should be warned so we choose another hotel. We were not told that the room would not be cleaned or restocked or garbage emptied due to covid protocols. If you are going to have protocols tell those stay in the hotel so we can request simple things like garbage emptied. Parking was terrible as the parents of the hockey players positioned their large trailers not allowing adequate room for us to drive out truck through.

From the bad traffic out front to frazzled staff to tv/phone/internet that did not work, this is not the ideal choice to stay. Look elsewhere. Just too many little things were off here which made the overall expereicne bad. I would stay somewhere else next time just because I know there are better options out there.

The hotel is outstanding and located in a central area. Amenities were exceptional, pool, jacuzzi, gym, all kids friendly and staff are amazing. Will definitely recommend it to anyone. Entertainment was amazing too.

The rooms were great and the staff was awesome! Even during covid this hotel goes the extra mile to make sure that you have a pleasant stay. We used an accessable room on the main floor and it was perfectly suited to our needs. The staff were very courteous and always greeted us whenever we would come upon them. They were always cleaning everything, from them scrubbing the rooms to the folks at the front desk scrubbing that entire area. The pool had been allowed to open and many families with children were taking advantage of that to let kiddies use up a little of their energies.The bar was open, also takeout from the restaurant was available. We had a wonderful breakfast bag since the buffet was not allowed at that time, and found it to be full of fresh tasty food, that was more than adequate for our breakfast. They always offered us as many bagged breakfasts as we wanted so, I am guessing that if you were a larger eater you could have more than one bag.I am sure that with all the covid rules changing constantly it is very difficult for the hotel to manage, and they certainly are doing their utmost to provide as much as they are allowed, to ensure you have a memorable and safe stay. We certainly plan on staying in this friendly well appointed hotel again.

We booked the king suite which was awesome - and my daughter and family got the pet friendly room. The prices were very reasonable - excellent area to take your pet outside - continental breakfast was very good and very well organized considering it was covid. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were super friendly and helpful. Very comfortable stay and super close to airport - which is what we neededl Only thing that we missed was a pool and hottub. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay - clean and well organized and staff super helpful.

This hotel provides a "medical" rate -- for people ......e.g. Appointments at Gimbel Eye Clinic, Foothills hospital -- just mention it when you make your booking! Construction on Crowhild Trail make it a little tricky to access the hotel entrance. Hotel well worth it!!

Staff are the best, they provide customer service with a smile and always try to do the little extras to make you feel you're important to them and the hotel. My daughter throughly enjoyed being able to book the pool for an hour, it was a great option to allow this private use.

This is a great stop in Calgary for any medical trip. Close to the university and many medical facilities, including the Tom Baker centre. The medical rates are great, and service is excellent. It also have a variety of eating establishments within easy walking distance.

Very comfortable, clean and luxurious sleeping. Only complaint is due to Covid they have shortened the hours of the hot tub and pool and only one household at a time - hence, my tired from driving back didn't get a soak. The amazing beds and beautifully smelling shampoo make up for this.

Friend needed to stay in Calgary for surgery at the Foothills Hospital. This is closest BW Hotel. I have never stayed at it before. Very pleased with all aspects, room, price, food and the service. We will stay there more often when in Calgary.

My room was excellent, loved the soaker tub. The front desk was great both at check in and on check out (very accommodating as I required a late check out) . The hotel had good Covid19 protocols in place, and I felt very safe. They were quick to replenish my supplies for my room by leaving a bag on the door handle. I will definitely be back to this hotel.

Ended up staying here during a scheduled laser eye surgery at Gimbel Eye Center, and though it looks like an older hotel from the outside, the interior is lovely and modern. It's an atrium style hotel, so everything opens up into a grand central area with restaurant and pool. Friendly staff, great food, fast Internet, and comfy beds make this a great please to stay, whether just for overnight, or for an extended visit.

Staff provided excellent friendly and quick service - compassionate and caring with our family member illness in ICU at nearby hospital. Very flexible on the uncertainty of length of our stay and ready to provide anything we may need in the way of additional supplies etc. as our stay went on. Room was well equipped and very clean. When we asked for more supplies due to the length of our stay, they were at our door within 5 min. Very happy - it made a stressful time so much less so...

The wife and I have no complaints on our stay. Close to SAIT. The service was great, unfortunately stayed during COVID so pool restaurant and lounge was closed. Clean and comfortable rooms. Next time in Calgary not shopping around going to stay here again.

We stayed here for the wedding of my niece, the hotel has been upgraded since the last time we were here. The room was really comfortable and spacious. The amenities at this hotel are amazing. Too bad we were under COVID-19. The staff was great.

I can't give this a 5 rating because it was very noisy. The hotel staff did everything necessary to keep the noise down but I think the walls are just too thin. But its super clean and we were fully supplied with lovely amenities. The location is under construction but otherwise very nice.

Disappointed cleaning service, i found a hair on the bed and in the tub, a stain on the wall and the drawer next to me, i asked for a kettle and it came dirty. The room was nice and big, everyone at the reception was nice

I stayed here because it was close to the hospital where my daughter was staying and because it was a familiar brand name. Under normal circumstances I would have discussed my issues about the room with the hotel but my focus was on dealing with the crisis at hand - and I had been awake for 40+ hours at that point. My room was on the main floor and I was travelling alone. When I got into my room the first thing I did was check the windows and doors. As well as a door from the interior of the hotel, there was one leading to the outside parking lot area and when I checked, it was unlocked. I then checked the door that can be used for adjoining rooms and it was unlocked. This was a little unnerving for a woman travelling alone. I locked everything up and went in the bathroom to wash up and the first thing I see is public hairs on the floor along with regular strands of hair. I grabbed a nicely rolled up facecloth to wash my face and it looked like there was feces on it - this is when I took pictures. I got into bed and went to turn on the TV and the remote didn't work. Oh well... I did call and they told me to just use the number pad to change channels. When I woke up I didn't have a shower - which I was so looking forward to because I didn't trust what was on the towels. I went to the front desk to get one of the grab and go breakfast (the buffet is closed due to COVID) and their breakfast consisted of a warm child's juice box, a warm yogourt and timbit sized muffin. I'm not what I consider a complainer and I can let a lot of things slide but I do stay at a lot of hotels and I do expect what I pay for - and this does not cut it. I'm sorry Best Western - I won't be back.

The kindliness and support we receive from all the staff at the hotel while my husband was in the hospital, was amazing. The service was always prompt - the staff always pleasant and courteous. I can absolutely recommend the Inn as a great place to stay.

I had to be near the Foothills Hospital during the quarantine. I loved the proximity - one traffic light and you are at the hospital!! We don't live in Calgary and my husband was dealing with aggressive bone cancer and his diagnostics / care plan / treatments left me needing lodging for almost a month. The staff at the hotel treated me with respect, kindness, and compassion the entire stay. Housekeeping went above and beyond with cleaning and sanitizing. Sack breakfasts replaced the buffet for health reasons. I pretty much lived on them. There was always someone to answer questions. My room was cleaned on request any time I needed it. After a grueling day of tests, doctors, nurses, and watching my husband suffer; this hotel was my oasis in the desert. I was offered books to read, a shoulder to cry on, a cheery welcome, and a safe refuge. I hope to return when the amenities are open to the guests again and the occasion is happier. It is a beautiful facility and great staff made a challenging time much more bearable.

As a caregiver to a cancer patient, I want to say how wonderful and how cautious and caring the staff at the Best Western has been. They closed down the breakfast buffet, bag "lunches" only, closed the restaurant and lounge, the pool and exercise room. It is good to see them going out of their way to keep the building shut down keeping their vulnerable gusts as safe as possible. We were called each evening to see what we needed for our room, their way of keeping us isolated, great to see as most of us who were staying there were only there because of the proximity to the hospital. If you need a great place to stay during these very uncertain times this is the place to stay. so pleased with their staff and how well they treated us.

I enjoyed our stay even though things changed due to the Covid 19 crisis. The hotel had to close pool and the restaurant however I was able to have a meal the first night at the lounge and this was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel to Foothills Medical Centre was so convenient and easy commute. 5 minutes! Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. To note the hotel is just across the steet from McMahon Stadium. I will be returning!

Good stop in Calgary for the Family! The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. The beds were super comfortable. The pool and hot tub are in the centre atrium style. The restaurant service was very slow but breakfas buffer the next morning was great!

We recently stayed at the hotel overnight on a weekday and were quite pleased. Nicely located near the University of Calgary and Foothills Hospital, it is also a convenient stop for those traveling through to Banff or BC. Room was a good size, clean, and beds were very comfortable. Underground parking was included. Breakfast was also included which was much better than other complimentary hotel breakfasts. For starters it was actually in the restaurant and not in a small room where you are dodging other patrons. Good selection of items and staff always circulating to replenish the buffet and ensure tables are immediately cleaned. Check in was quick and easy. A definate consideration for anyone traveling to this area.

I stayed here 3 nights while my husband had surgery at Foothills Hospital. The whole experience here was very good. I was able to book a medical rate, and even though I was coming during a busy time (reading week), I was able to reschedule my days when the surgery was delayed. I also booked extra days, not knowing when my husband was going to be released, which was no problem. Fast, efficient check in and out, the hotel felt safe and the underground parking was a nice touch. No complaints about the rooms - they were spacious, comfortable beds and pillows, updated bathrooms and a coffee maker with bottled water. The hotel has an open concept, which is really nice, and despite being at capacity, wasn't overly noisy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, or recommend, especially to anyone that needs to be close to the hospital.

I have stayed at this great facility many, many times over the years; always clean; always well maintained; Staff are always great; Front Desk folks are excellent. Well recommended. The facility has great Underground Parking and is accessible to many places in Calgary.

From the outside it looks older so I wasn't sure if it would be a nice place to stay but I was pleasantly surprised. My room was clean and felt updated. Bed was comfy and everything worked well. The openness of the area over the pool/restaurant made it feel grand and not cramped with dark hallways. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would book here again.

We usually stay at this hotel when in Calgary-3-4 times a year. On my last visit, in early Feb a collegue left her hat in her room. When she called back later that day the staff were not very helpful. She persisted and finally, the next day a staff member told her they typically keep electronics (obviously for the lost and found) but toss out other items. This is really unsatisfactory.

I really appreciated how clean the hotel was. The breakfast room had plenty of seating and the options were really great. The hotel staff was very accommodating for my requested late check out. The bed was very comfortable!

It was a very good overnight stay with my 2 kids (4 and 2). They enjoyed the pool. The rooms are clean, neat and you cannot hear anything from the outside while sleeping. Food was good as well except for the hard bacon. But overall it was perfect for the price. Would definitely go back.

A great place to stay while in Calgary . The staff are very accommodating and personable. I enjoy the free breakfast and the coffee is very good. They have a clean inviting hottub which holds 6 or so people and quite relaxing after a day at meetings or events. The lounge is clean and cozy and has never been crowded during my various stays.

Room seemed satisfactory until bed time! Soiled sheets, expected me to change! I refused, requested new room. Breakfast was a 3 out of 10. Scrambled eggs runny, hashbrowns dry, ham dry. Only good things about breakfast was the fruit.

Great hotel and great location. Breakfast is a buffet full hot breakfast. Close to major roads, but still quiet. Plenty of restaurants in a short walk if you did not feel like eating at the hotel restaurant.

We stayed in the Best Western Village Park the last weekend of Dec 2019. We had booked a jacuzzi suite for two nights. The price was good for the size, decor and amenities. I believe the rooms had been renovated in the last year of so and it was very tastefully decorated and offered a kitchen and living area with a separate king room and ensuite. It was very nice and the service was great. Easy check in and out. I would recommend this hotel for a few reasons-- price, amenities and proximity to Crowchild and McMahon Stadium. Well worth it.

From start to finish all staff made us feel like they were there just for us.We felt like we were getting the royal treatment. Our stay was great and we will go there again .We had underground parking . That was lovely with all the snow.

Our stay was great. The room was super quiet. Best service. Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. Nice pool. The location of this hotel was great for trips to the Foothills hospital. It is also close to The football stadium for the stampeeders stadium and to anything west of the city.

Very good service and accommodation, dining room needs work. All staff are great but the prices are a little high for dinner, lunch not so bad. Location is awesome for me, breakfast is legendary (fresh home made waffles). Hot tub is great after dark, but should be open later for adults only swim.

This is our favourite hotel when visiting Calgary. With an easy access location for our need,s as well as all areas of the city, and close to LRT. Quiet rooms, great breakfast, excellent helpful staff!!!

Excellent and friendly check in with thoughtful help about parking and room choice. Room clean with crisp white bedding. Room renovated. Lighting in bathroom v good. Bottled water available for free in the room as well as coffee. Bed comfortable.

Patrick checked us in and was top notch. Room is clean and up to date. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Pool area was busy and hot tub needs to be hotter with more pressure. Lounge area was hosted by a very nice and accommodating lady. You can take your drinks up to your room if you want. Hotel breakfast comes with the room is the best in the land.

I would recommend Best Western over any other hotel and highly recommend Best Western Plus for family stays. Great experience for my family. The front desk staff were attentive and caring about our needs and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool for hours. I loved the underground parking for safety and easy access. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and this hotel surpasses expectations. Very pleased with our booking here.

Rooms were nice and clean, selected by my company. Room comes with robe. Singular. Front service staff was rude. Gave a wake up call that was not requested at 7:30am. After paying for our second night, they called and said we hadn't paid, even though we had the validated parking for the second night. When I said we weren't paying the late check out from the night before (which he said was going to be charged even though we were pre booked for 2 nights) he refused to acknowledge that even though my husband went down initially before 11am, plus they scanned our card the previous night when we checked in. Was sorted out but he would not speak with the person who talked with my husband the first time, so clearly did not believe us. We asked for a couple of wine glasses and a bottle opener in the evening and had to go get them ourselves, and they were dirty. But, you know, the room was clean. *Shrug* Apparently that's all $165 gets you here because you aren't getting anything else.

The front desk staff was amazing and so helpful they worked with my wife on the room rates and length of stay due to not always knowing if the room would be needed for another night. The beds were so comfortable and it was nice and quiet.

Fantastic location. I absolutely love my room! It was super spacious and cozy. I cannot get over how comfy the jacuzzi bath tub was. Breakfast was also very enjoyable - I get to make my own waffle ;) Overall I love the hotel and would definitely pick this again without hesitation the next time I visit Calgary.

First was checked into a room that the toilet didn't flush, called front desk several times and got no answer. Finally had to go back down to the front desk and wait again to be moved to a room with a working toilet. Went to the breakfast the following morning and opened the drawer in the breakfast buffet for the bread. A cockroach climbed out. *barf* Pointed it out to attendant and she grabbed it in her hand and mumbled something about the place needing to be fumigated. I left and went next door to Denny's for a roach free breakfast. When I brought the roach breakfast issue to the front desk, the front desk manager just kind of looked at me and said oh, did they tell the chef? I again complained when I checked out and no compensation was provided, I still had to pay full price for my stay.

We often come into town for dr. appt. and this was recommended to us by friends who liked it. We loved it. Very clean nice restaurant good staff, in both bar and restaurant lovely lovely breakfast. We were greeted at the front desk with courtesy and friendliness. We we able to take advantage of the medical rate and with the breakfast included came to a very very good rate. The best i have ever had in calgary. Will not stay anywhere else now. Also underground parking very nice.

Excellent Staff, Super clean, quiet Open concept atrium gives it a much more relaxing atmosphere. Food service selection and quality exceeded expectations. Nicely done! I would recommend this property without hesitation.

We have stayed here a number of times during hospital and appointment visits and have found all staff to be pleasant and friendly. Rooms are clean, breakfasts are excellent and underground parking is nice to have in winter months. Have a discount for hospital visits which helps as well.

From the front desk to the restaurant/lounge and the room cleaning staff we have an excellent stay every time. Everyone is helpful, friendly and cares. The breakfast is amazing as well as the other meals. We tried other hotels in the area of the Tom Baker Cancer centre and this is the Best and consider it our home away from home!! We always book ahead and look forward to our stay.

IT is always a pleasure to stay at this facility when we have to go to the Foothills Medical center due to its close proximity. The staff have always been performing better than expected, and having a lounge and restaurant is extremely convenient for those of us want to have an alcoholic beverage without driving from the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for volleyball tournaments back in the day, and now for hosiptal appointments/visits and it's a home away from home - with all the amenities. If you're staying more than a day and want to get out, be sure to check out Juree's (Thai Restauarant) on 16th, and Crave Cupcakes off Nose Hill Dr. Hotel Restaurant was fabulous, especially the complimentary breakfast - worth getting up for :)

This hotel was easy to find and check-in was quick. The room smelled pleasant and was very clean. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The room was extremely quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

Stayed 1 night after landing in Calgary from Uk. Good location as it is on the far side of the city to the airport and "on the way" towards the national parks. Clean and tidy, by a main road but really couldnt hear anything in the room. Our breakfast was included in the price and was a decent selection of hot food and continental style. Not much immediately round it but we were basically arriving, sleeping and leaving.

Terrible set up for a restaurant! Should have been called a cafeteria! Tables and chrome chairs like you'd expect to see in an institution, certainly not a dining room! The alternative is their lounge which is more like a sports bar. Food was average at best, it wasn't busy (no surprise there!) The service was good. Front desk staff are friendly, only came to the hotel to eat and We won't be back!

Jacuzzi was too small. Only fits one person and we book these rooms for two people. Service was quick and efficient. The food at breakfast was quite extensive and flavourful. Don't order the rib eye steak

Stayed here for 4 nights, Friday to Monday. Friday and Saturday were at a higher rate than the Sunday and Monday night. Free parking and breakfast is included. Breakfast is cereal, waffles, fruits, toast, boiled eggs, home potato fries, scrambled eggs, with either ham, bacon or hot beef sausages (different meat for each morning). The downside is that many of the rooms are taken up by foreign athletes training at Calgary U. They have a hot tub, but no change room so you have to wear you bathroom as a cover. The exercise room only has two mats. The rooms were nice, as it had a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. The underground parking is nice but they have a ton of extended limousines that take up a lot of the parking spots and they block the exit. Elevators are extremely SLOW. The heater/air condition was very noisy.

We have been at this hotel before and because of past experience we booked a stay there again. It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast included with the price is a great deal. Beds are super comfortable. I especially like the underground secure parking. The restaurant has excellent meals.

Great place to stay. This hotel is across from the McMahon Stadium, home of the Calgary Stampeders and the U of C Dinos. The university and hospital are close by, if that is the purpose of your stay. The pool and hot tub were always clean and ready to use. our room was perfect and quiet, the beds were comfortable, fridge and stove were useful. Underground parking was amazing, we never had to go out into the weather! There was a large variety of food for breakfast.The menu had many options too! The staff were friendly and outgoing. Front desk was always willing to assist us. We would not change anything about this hotel.

Stayed in hotel due to proximity to hospital. Was given a compassionate rate. Hotel was quiet and well appointed. Unique interior setting with central courtyard. Open pool area sort of gave room a chlorine smell.

Staying to take daughter to her first year of University. Convenient location and clean environment and friendly staff. Breakfast was really well done. Four teams were staying there and we didn't even notice that there were so many people there. Well organized.

No line up at the front desk. Quite place. Good breakfast. However, the location is difficult to locate. When coming from Highway 16, it is difficult to locate the Hotel. Perhaps a sign on Highway sixteen would help.

Nice and clean and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. Its been newly renovated and I love that the bed linens and comforter are snow white -- makes a clean freak like myself feel good about the level of cleanliness. Excellent value for money too.

The inside of this hotel looks great. The rooms are nicely furnished with a modern look. The hotel offers a free breakfast which was great. There was plenty of staff working including the manager to keep it stocked and clean. One large issue we had though is the location of the pool. It's wide open with no walls to keep the sound in. If kids are playing in the pool you can hear it throughout the hotel. Don't get me wrong it's a great pool however with a 10 pm closing time it makes it hard to get young kids to sleep. Both nights we had to ask the front desk to close the pools as the noise continued after 10 and we couldn't get to sleep after days of sightseeing. It would make sense to close the pool earlier and/or have some glass/plastic roof/sides to lower to the noise. Once we could get to sleep the beds and room was comfortable.

we stayed for a soccer tournament and was happy with the hotel. check in took a bit longer than expected but was very busy. enjoyed the underground parking, breakfast was great, beds/pillows were good. clean and taken care of. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

My wife and I had to stay overnight in Calgary to be able to get her to an early-morning medical appointment at Foothills Hospital. Not only did this hotel provide a medical rate that fit our circumstances precisely, the hotel itself was extremely convenient for us i.e. located in a motel Village with a stoplight access onto 16th Ave. which allowed us to enter 16th Ave. during morning rush hour without difficulty. The hospital is about six minutes away once we were actually on 16th Ave. We asked for a room on the ground floor which turned out to be directly across from the breakfast area. Again, extremely convenient. The provided breakfast was extensive. Included just about everything you could think of in terms of breakfast food. Staff are extremely accommodating when we needed to book an extended stay past the regulars checkout time. When it came time to load the car, we had surface parking available and a "backdoor" out of the hotel that allowed me to load the vehicle without having to go around the hallways through the front lobby. Again extremely convenient. The hotel is finished with "hard" surfaces, so is probably not the most luxurious hotel you could stay in but the staff were friendly, extremely accommodating and the hotel itself provided ideal convenience for us. We will definitely stay there again under similar circumstances!

It is good place to stay except this hotel charge for coffee. Most of times there is no coffee at front desk and when front desk directed me to onsite Restaurant. This onsite restaurant charge for coffee. Most of hotels have free coffee

Great hotel , have been coming to this hotel for the past ten years and have never been disappointed Front staff very helpful and knowlegeable especially Linda Cleaning staff does a great job never have to worry about the room not being cleaned properly Overall great hotel highly recommended

The entire staff was extremely helpful and professional throughout our stay. When my husband was discharged from the nearby hospital, the front desk offered us a hospital discount without our asking. They went out of their way to find us a suitable room, cheerfully assisted us with our fax and copying needs and even jump started our truck when it wouldn't start. I cannot say enough about the dedicated staff at this property, from housekeeping, food service, maintenance, to front desk. There is a level of pride in this modestly elegant property that is rarely encountered in our travels. It was a delight to stay here and I would recommend it to anyone.

The place is done up nice. The fitness room is hidden in the back, while the pool and restaurant and are an open air space. Anyone from the rooms can watch you. Also the noise carries to the rooms. Bathrooms are too small, especially for a family of 4. They are suitable for 1 person at a time. Staff are awesome though. I wouldn't stay again because of the pool/restaurant location and the small bathrooms.

Price was awesome, hospitality was terrific, staff very friendly always willing to help. Breakfast was great, was a buffet breakfast, food was great. We asked for a late check out it was no problem. Highly recommend

We are a rewards member and fortunately we were offered a conference rate during the conference but paid high rate when we came early to attend the Stampede in Calgary. Wish the conference host had been able to get a lower rate during that time but understand the Stampede is a big deal. Appreciated the bonus points offered to help our build up of points. Everything from check in to departure was great. Staff, amenities, room, close proximity to train station to get to the conference and Stampede, restaurant, lounge, internet all met our expectations and beyond. Underground parking was another plus. Anyone staying here will have a great experience.

wonderful hotel, decent price. Our only complaint would be that the walls are thin, we could hear people in other rooms regularly. Would recommend light sleepers avoid or bring ear plugs. Staff were accommodating and attentive.

Traveling to Calgary Canada, for the Stampede we booked this hotel and were satisfied in every dimension. The rooms are beautifully equipped, including extra bottled water for the dry air at the Stampede. Plus, a large screen TV, wifi, nice pool and hot tub. And, it has to be one of the best complementary breakfasts ever at a hotel. Everything hot and yummy. And, the Courtyard's staff were the best. Anything you needed they would do their best to accommodate, and with a smile.

My husband and I stayed at the BW Village Park Inn for 12 nights for medical reasons. We have also stayed our fair share at this hotel in the past - it is our go to place when we have to come to Calgary. If you're a BW rewards member you get a free continental hot breakfast (which has a huge selection, and very tasty). You also get to park underground for free. They also offer a medical rate if you are staying here for medical reasons. All of the staff is exceptional, our rooms have always been very clean and the restaurant/lounge has very good food. Nothing bad to say about this place! PS - we were here during stampede and they could have increased the room rate, but since we were here for medical reasons they didn't..... I think that shows true integrity in a business.

The outside doesn't look like it would be as good as it is, but don't judge a book by its cover. Wonderful customer service, super fresh breakfast buffet, lovely updated clean rooms and a comfortable restaurant and bar made our stay delightful. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. Easy access to the light rail and just a few stops to Stephen Street and the Glenbow Art Museum. The underground free parking with elevator access made getting our things in and back out very easy. We were tired after a long journey from Seattle sightseeing and we appreciated their kindnesses at our final stop.

The interior of this Inn is absolutely beautiful. The staff are VERY Friendly and very helpful. First time ever staying in Calgary. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Plus Village Park Inn to everyone .... especially if you have to go to the Foothills Hospital. It is only a 5 minute drive (we took a cab - cheaper than paying for parking at the Hospital AND much easier - we didn't get lost!!)

Great place to stay. Clean, nice uoto dare hotel with friendly staff. Pool was clean and relatively warm, however, hot tub was empty and needing repairs so we never got to enjoy that. Free breakfast was perfect.

We stay at this BW at least twice a year and our experience is always the same. The staff are friendly, the experience is great and the location makes it easy to find. If you're here for a CFL game, McMahon Stadium is right across the street.

Check-in was easy. Rooms very clean. Staff throughout were exceptionally pleasant. Continental breakfast had a large variety of food to choose from. Restaurant meals were reasonably priced and service was excellent.

If staying for a medical appointment, this is the place to be! Underground parking, amazing breakfast, pool/hot tub, wif-fi that works, comfortable beds, and clean rooms, a convenience pantry/store, and many amazing local restaurants close by. Best part, is that it's close to the FH hospital for appointments.

The hotel and room was very clean and the location was perfect. Food was excellent and the service was very accommodating. I just wish they had a hand held shower head. Other than that everything was excellent. I would highly recommend this Best Western hotel.

I was somewhat hesitant to book here as this location was known to be located in a high crime area...but we had nothing to,worry about. They had lots of parking at the front door so no worries about entering the building any night. They had free underground secure parking with cameras everywhere. The rooms face onto the courtyard which was noisy due to the restaurant and bar. I was concerned our room would be noisy, but as soon as the room door closed...it was quiet. The heating...or lack thereof was a problem. Despite upping the heat on the wall unit...the room never warmed up overnight and the fan, despite being on low...was loud. The only way to turn off the fan was to shut everything off..including heat! Upon arrival our Platinum status was not acknowledged however at checkout, this was fixed. The breakfast was fine but hot oatmeal would have been a nice addition. The coffee was some of the best I have had in a long time and nice that instead of tiny annoying creamers, they had cream in a jug with the coffee bar. I would stay here again.

The rooms are clean. The restaurant food is great and they have a very nice indoor pool. Their fitness room is a little bigger than the other hotels I've been to. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I am in Calgary.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Village Park Inn. It is a nice hotel. The room was clean and had a fridge & microwave. The pool was a nice size and good to swim in. The free breakfast was very good. I enjoyed my stay.

This Best Western hotel in Calgary is great value for the money. The layout is fine, the hot pool was hot, the internet worked well, and the breakfast was a cut above most hotel breakfasts. The location is easy to get to approaching Calgary from the West, and it is close to lots of things, including health facilities. We will stay here again.

Pretty clean and comfortable hotel. The indoor pool is heated which is a plus for travellers with kids. This particular hotel is very good value for the price since it provides pool, breakfast, underground parking, and modern look.

We stayed 3 nights and were impressed by the standard of accommodation and service. A very interesting hotel build around a central courtyard, unusual for us but the concept certainly worked well for us. There was a pool within the central area on the second floor which looked quite inviting. Breakfast is quite generous and seating in the restaurant and the bar is very comfortable and not crowded. Meal and drinks prices were actually very reasonable.

Front lady, new trainee helped me out to find a phone number for the Calgary airport as I had left an item there. She then called my room as she had found a better number which helped me immensely. Morning checkout was super efficient. They called me a great cab and I was able in 5 minutes have an amazing breakfast that was hot and delicious! scrambled eggs with the best breakfast sausage. You could have a variety. I also had cut up fresh fruit and yougurt : )

Had booked a room for my wife because I was getting a medical procedure. My procedure time changed and it would make my cancel option void as it was less than 24hrs. The hotel and staff were super understanding and did not charge me the cancellation fee, plus I booked again for 2 days, but was released a day early and only informed them of the change around 3pm.... they only charged me 1/2 price for which was super fair. And oh ya the staff were awesome and the hotel super nice......recommend this place hands down, super impressed.

We stayed here for two nights while we were in Calgary for a hockey tournament. The beds were SO COMFY. I slept like a rock. The pillows were the perfect fluffiness and the beds were clean and cozy. The continental breakfast was an awesome bonus. They had a great selection including eggs, bread, a variety of pastries, fruit, yogurt, sausage, and potatoes. I really enjoyed my stay.

Hotel usually good but this time not so much. Check in person - ignored me at first - waited 5 minutes without even looking at me while they went back and forth from the front desk to the back. Also then asked for my email to receipt but then didn't tell me they were signing me up for the hotel newsletter and points card.....that's why I don't give my email out!! Also fridge was turned off. I didn't notice it initially when I put my milk in when I checked in. The next morning I go to have a drink and it's warm....bah.....

The room and bathrooms are extremely small. The balcony is embarrassing. The lounge And food were alright, but there is a dead silence with no music throughout the hotel. There were families using the facilities like pool and hot tub. It is relatively close to the downtown, but there is nothing decent within walking distance. This hotel should be under $90/night for what it is offering.

All family stayed. We met each morning for breakfast and closed each night in the lounge. It is a casual environment which we like. Staff very friendly. Could go down to breakfast in your pj's. Great underground parking. Restaurants within walking distance. Great hub for a large group.

This Hotel is very close to the Foothills Hospital. The full breakfast was varied, fresh and there was plenty of tables and booths for people. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds and amenities. The staff is helpful and friendly and the pool facilities are very nice after a long drive.

We stayed here 30+ years ago so the refurbishment is a success. You forget that with a courtyard hotel on a weekend, the noise level from playing children will be high and it was. The breakfast was meh. Hotel reception staff was shy and spoke very,very low, She should be given another place to be successful. The hotel was clean, the bed very comfortable

Pros. Hotel is decently located close to the university, and is renovated. Rooms are modern, fairly well equipped, and cleanish. Hotel offers a decent selection of amenities. Cons. This hotel is built around an inner atrium with the pool and restaurant facilities on the bottom. The guest rooms are built around the outer walls, and up five (?) floors. At first glance, it's quite attractive. It is also shockingly loud! It is possible to hear an entire conversation being had by the pool, while in your third floor room with the air conditioning running! Add a few teenagers running around, and forget about sleeping. The restaurant/room service is an attempt at an upscale menu, an attempt that missed. The food is a 2/5 at best, and the menu choice is questionable. It is also very expensive for the quality. A few minor things, the website mentions Keurig coffee makers in room, as well as bathrobes supplied. This is incorrect, my room had neither. It was supplied with a coffee maker- a very small, and cheap machine. Overall, if you're headed here to have a good time, this is probably an OK place, but forget about it if you're there for business, and need to focus.

Stayed when having to visit the Foothills Hospital. Found out after booking through a popular website that they have a special rate for hospital visitors. Would have saved us about thirty dollars a night.

Stayed at the best Western family day weekend. This is my second stay at this location. Great hotel, rooms are up to date and very clean. Underground parking is available and the complementary breakfast is excellent. Staff are friendly and professional. Only thing I would recommend is to increase the temperature of the hot tub and have towels on hand for guests.

This hotel was a surprising find for me travelling for business. Great location with easy access to transit for downtown meetings and lots of restaurants around. I was very happy with the room renovations and the room service was great as well.

I've been on a roll lately with some great service experiences that just deserve a mention. First of all though, very nice property, more than I expected. And the underground parking in -30 couldn't have been more welcome! Ronald assisted me with my check in, it was an unexpected last minute stay so I was a little frazzled. He was very nice and helpful to deal with and definitely went over and above for me. I would highly recommend the BW Plus Village Park Inn.

I was supposed to stay for two nights and had to leave during the middle of the night during second night stay. Staff didn't care about the noise complaints towards a loud, unruly and violent guest. The guest staying next to me was violently arguing with his girlfriend the first night and after several complaints, they finally sent someone up to say something. No sleep that first night. During the second night he woke me up by beating on the walls and throwing furniture around. The staff again reluctantly did anything about it. They eventually had to call the police. I asked to be moved into a different room or a refund and they provided me with neither, so I just packed up and went somewhere else down the street.

Everything was great and the staff are amazing. Fast check in and out. Great breakfast that was fresh and had a fantastic variety. Rooms were clean, and tidy. This is the only place I will stay when in Calgary. They treat you like family. I love coming here.

Excellent value, location close to C-train, McMahon Stadium, the University of Calgary, shopping malls accessible by train service, underground parking is available, location on a major road so is easy to access.

This hotel is great. The staff are amazing and we loved the hottub/pool area. One of the BEST breakfast for any hotel we have stayed at. Being close to McMahan Stadium and the C-Train is a bonus. We stay here whenever we come to Calgary.

We stayed here a night for a medical appointment the next day .Its 4 min away from the foot hills hospital .Its clean ,modern,friendly staff ,and great breakfast buffet,which is included.The staff was accommodating and allowed us to leave our truck in the underground parking,while we took a taxi to the hospital,highly recommend.

I stay at BWs all over Canada and this one is very good. has all the amenities, Restaurants, pool, spa, room service, parking (even under ground), free breakfast (which is very well done). the rooms are very clean and updated. this location is very central in Calgary. Added bonus is that it is less then 400 meters away from Nick's Steak and pizza house which is a Calgary Classic!

Rooms were clean, breakfast buffet is very nice and pool is nice. Decent layout to the hotel. Close to the C-Train. Parking was interesting told we could park outside, but if you are a member you can park underground for free.

There is only one flaw in this hotel and it is only in the information on how to locate it the first time without a GPS! Otherwise it's a very good family hotel, nicely renovated in a good location with easy access once you have found it.

Horrible staff. Never will go to this best western again. No one communicates with each other or cares about guest experiences. The only thing that was ok was the pool. I have enjoyed many best westerns but the calgary crowchild location is the worst!

I've been staying here for many years and the VPI has never let me down. Rooms fantastic, love the atrium style for the pool and bar/restaurant. Coffee included with machine in room, close to city, Denny's next door if you get bored with food (I stay for many weeks), hot tub...gym area is nice enough for simple things ...friendly staff. Get those elevators doors to close quicker :)

Wow were we EVER impressed with the Best Western Village Park in Calgary last weekend. We were in town for a girl's hockey tournament and the hotel was our first stop. Easy check in. Added bonus of underground parking courtesy of our enrollment in the Best Western customer appreciation program. Our 2 queen bed room big and clean and comfortable. Hallways open and tidy. Complimentary breakfast buffet quite possibly the best I have ever had at a hotel. Hotel was very accommodating to our team requests. And every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. Thank you Best Western for being a part of a great weekend for our Comets girl's midget hockey team.

...... due to the nearby road construction. The front desk staff were incredible especially Joseph. There is secure underground parking in a heated area. While there is also outside parking it can be quite full, The entry / lobby is really impressive and they have glass elevators to go up to the higher floors. I was on the fifth floor and is is an atrium style with the pool, hot tub, bar and restaurants on the main floor. Sound rises so it is easy to hear the people in the pool screaming. There are restricted pool hours but then you can hear the bar patrons. Early in the morning the sports teams were in the restaurant for the start of their day and I could hear them too. The room was spotless with a great breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.

All of the rooms are surround the restaurant and bar so don't expect to get any sleep. There is not enough parking spots for the non members although they did provide me with underground parking as I complained.

Front desk was excellent, good vibes on arrival made a good start. Good clean hotel overall with modernized rooms and great finishes, beds were comfy but they only offered 4 fat pillows. The only issues with the rooms is the sound deadening, it is pretty awful both room to room and room to the open atrium! Open atrium is a cool idea but that causes a lot of ambient noise to bombard the room. Overall good quality and service for the price, super clean and nice rooms!

With all the upgrades over the last couple years, this hotel is easily exceeding my expectations. I have stayed at this property at least once a month for the last 12 years. I have yet to meet someone there that was not knowledgeable about their position or their hotel. Very nice to walk in the door and have them greet you by name!The restaurant menu has grown in stature as well... the food tastes as good as the pictures and write up, so they are not overselling their culinary capability.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Village Park Inn. We've been travelling to Calgary every few months this year, and this hotel has been the best value for money so far. The rooms have been completely renovated and are nicely appointed. Wifi is good and we were happy with the satellite TV. We joined the reward program so that the underground parking was free. A decent breakfast buffet is included in the room price. Only downfall is that the hotel is open plan so you can hear foot traffic outside if ppl get too rowdy. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad. And all of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

The staff can make all the difference and the staff made the experience great. The buffet breakfast was a real plus. The location with easy access to LRT and the main North-South route was a definite benefit.

We stayed here for the night of Oct 20. The hotel was very full, as most of the guests were there for the football game much like we were, but you wouldn't have known it. Parking was free and there was tons of above ground and below ground. We stayed in room 226, and it was right across from the pool which was awesome. Very clean and friendly and breakfast was one of the best “continental breakfasts” I've had. It included; scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, pastry, waffles irons with batter and such, toast, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel. Super accommodating and a decent price for the flexibility of the location! Oh yah, and the riders won which was even better! Don't let the negative reviews deter you. Only thing to mention is that on the one side of the building, the ground was all ripped up and there was construction of some work going on (over the weekend it was quiet) just for people who might notice it.

Since the last time I stayed here the hotel has had to institute a new system to keep track of patrons at breakfast. It is so good guests from other properties were coming over to eat. Renovations are complete and the place looks amazing. Service was outstanding from all staff.

We were impressed with the Best Western Plus Village Park Inn. We received a very good deal for a one night stay. Check in was friendly and efficient. Parking underground was free. The hotel looks like it has been recently renovated and is very large. Our room was very comfortable. The staff gave us all the information we needed for our stay. We did not have a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but the area looked attractive.Towels and linens were of good quality and our bed was very comfortable. The hot buffet breakfast was a plus. I would recommend a stay at this hotel if you want a hotel close to McMahon stadium or close to the TransCanada Highway.

My sister-in-law and I stayed for two nights (Friday and Saturday) last weekend to attend Railway Days together. What a wonderful hotel and at such reasonable rates too. My sister-in-law booked it so I'm not sure if it's easy to book but she stays there quite often, so I assume it is. Our room was on the main floor with two queen beds, a desk with an ergonomic chair, an upholstered chair, an alarm clock (the same one I had 30 years ago which was pretty darn cool), a microwave, a fridge, a personal coffee maker and a safe. It was spacious and very clean. The decore is very nice - with clean lines. The beds each came with 4 pillows, sparkling white linens and were very comfortable. There was a very large television with a slew of channels to select from. The wi-fi was free which was fast and reliable. it was nice to be in a hotel room with hardwood floors rather than carpet. The air conditioning worked wonderfully and so did the heat in the room. The walk in shower was large (but it took me a few minutes to figure out how to operate it lol) and it was tricky, with the stationary shower door by the tap, to reach in to turn it to the proper temperature without getting sprayed with a blast of cold. But once I got it right there was lots of hot water. I was slightly concerned about the bathroom not having an exhaust fan, but the steam seemed to stay behind the closed shower doors. The bathroom was very clean as well. And it was very nice to use a 'real' hair dryer rather than a typical white on the wall hotel hair dryer. Hotel Mgmt: I forgot to mention while I was there, the shower drain in room 104 drains quite slowly - you may want to check it - the level of water does get dangerously close to overflowing while in use. Service was great and ALWAYS with a smile. Every staff member would smile and say hello - which was wonderful. Their little store they have by the lobby is quite well stocked. Our room had a connecting door which let sound into our room from the next room. We were able to listen to our neighbor on Friday early evening playing some really good blues music (it was for only an hour). But the next set of tenants in that room (4 or 5 men) on Saturday night were talking quite loudly before they went out that evening but it was even worse when they drunkenly arrived back and woke us up at 3am. It sounded like they were partying but inside our room. A quick call to the front desk and a few minutes later, we had silence once again. That was the only time we heard anything from outside our room and I believe it all came through the connecting door between the rooms, perhaps the doors are not insulated against sound? The breakfast buffet that comes with the room is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! So many choices to choose from - hot and cold! While we there they had: Baked beans, sausages, scrambled eggs, toppings (shredded cheese, chopped onion, chopped cucumber, salsa) for your scrambled eggs, seasoned roasted potatoes, a waffle making station, toast, bagels, boiled eggs, fruit, cereals, porridge, juices, coffee, teas. I have never seen such a great breakfast buffet like that included in the cost of the room - it was wonderful and very popular. The restaurant staff ensured that all the choices remained well stocked and were hot. There is a lot of room and quite a few tables to choose to sit at. Our room had a door behind the curtain to the outside parking lot which was quite nice. The 'designated smoking area' is in the far corner of the parking lot next to the parking lot exit to the street. It is lit by the lot lights during the evening but you still need to be aware of your surroundings - it's not that close to the lobby door if trouble comes at you and you are standing out in the open at night. Being a senior(ish) female, I was not comfortable standing alone there at night alone so when I went out to vape I stood closer to the outer cement wall of the parking lot, but away from the hotel - it was safer than standing out in the open like that. The proximity to the C-Train was wonderful. Catching a west bound train from downtown to the Banff Trail station, then walking 5 minutes to the hotel was so very quick and easy. The restaurant and lounge in the hotel are quite nice, with wonderful food, great service and atmosphere. And there are other restaurants very close to the hotel. It's in a great location. I will definitely be back. I think I found my new go to hotel when I visit Calgary. Thank you Best Western.

I was very satisfied with an 8-day stay at this hotel. It has a very well equipped gym (2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, bike, weights) and there is a running track about 5 minutes away, across Crowchild Trail. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers for laundry. Also, the Calgary Herald newspaper is available at breakfast. The internet is fine.

We stayed one night for a wedding and were very happy with the the hotel. We felt we had great value for our dollar. We booked through Expedia and were not disappointed. It was very clean, and our room was modern and nicely decorated. The breakfast included was of good variety and quality buffet. The hotel itself is well laid out with a pool in the central area and a well equipped gym. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was very central to the city, the stadium and and easy access to the Hwy. We would definitely recommend it and stay again.

The lobby was spacious and welcoming. There was a business centre and a small convenience store to the left and there are various conference areas. There is a lounge and a restaurant, the variety of food on the menu is wide and the prices are reasonable. Buffet breakfast was very good and offered many different choices. Our room was on the second floor, the same level as the hot tub and swimming pool....we did not often hear any noise from it, even though it was open until 10:00 pm. The beds/linen and pillows were very comfortable, we asked for flatter pillows after the first night, and housekeeping accommodated us. The toiletries (shampoo/body wash, conditioner and lotion) smelled lovely! There was no real view from the windows, but it didn't really matter. There was a good size mini-fridge with a tiny freezer, a microwave and a coffee machine. The rooms are built all up around the centre, and look down on the lounge/bar, restaurant and pool area, which is quite nice. There are many eateries and a liquor store within walking distance, and a small mall with a Mark's, Winners and Shoppers with less than 15 min walk. There is also a train station (Banff Trail) around 5 minutes walk away. The taxi is between $35 and 40 to the airport. Other than the taxi cost, this is a great hotel if you are attending an event in the area and I would definitely recommend it.

This is a lovely hotel in Calgary, very close to the Trans-Canada Highway. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Internet is excellent. The hotel has five stories with corridors looking out onto an atrium with a swimming pool. I would be cautious about allowing children to roam unattended in the corridors just because of the design of the hotel. The hotel features a restaurant and a bar and grill, but the restaurant, although advertising hours to ten p.m., was closed when I arrived at 7:30. The bar and grill uses the same menu. The menu lacks the variety that I would expect at such a hotel. For example, the only item featuring chicken was a butter chicken recipe. There is underground parking, which is very nice, especially in the winter, which in Calgary seems to start in early September. Bath/shower fixtures are somewhat counter-intuitive. You have to turn that knob really hard to make it work. I would recommend this hotel to young people who like comfort and the bar scene. Rooms are surprisingly quiet given the open layout. It seems less family-friendly than other Best Western Hotels that I have stayed in.

Very unique hotel but clean and well maintained. Within walking distance of McMahon Stadium. Excellent breakfast and the bed was awesome. The pool was small but was just fine. The staff were very friendly and allowed us a late checkout as well. Will definitely stay here again.

I met my brother in Calgary for the Labour Day Classic. I chose this hotel because it was a Best Western, and within walking distance to McMahon stadium. What a great choice. The staff are great, the room I had was fantastic. We enjoyed some wings and pints in the bar as well as Dinner and drinks in the restaurant. We had the same server both days and she mad our day both times. Sorry I didn't get her name. We are planning for next years game, and we will be staying at this Best Western again. Thank you Village Park Inn for being part of a great memory.

Tucked out of the way in a square of hotels. An obvious sign would have helped. Older hotel that had been updated. Clean with nice staff. Rooms weren't that sound proofed. Sounds transfer was mostly from bathroom to bathroom. Great breakfast buffet. Not a huge pool but served the purpose. Overall, a good experience.

The hotel is right on Crowchild and 16th ave so it's very convenient to get anywhere on the highway. Seemed to have ample parking and there was another lot beside the hotel. Strange layout that the entire inside of the hotel is open concept up to the ceiling, almost like an indoor motel of sorts. Did notice that sound did travel a bit, but didn't have any large interruptions during the stay. Nice restaurant and pool on ground floor as well.

My wife had a medical procedure and we needed to be close to the hospital. We found this place and seeing the Best Western name knew it would be decent. Upon arrival we found it to be so much more than we expected. We were greeted by incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, we were given an excellent medical rate, and our stay was well worth the money. Location was perfect for us, they had a great complimentary breakfast, excellent movie channels and the entire facility was clean and very well kept. Loved the open concept inside overlooking the restaurant and pool area. We will be staying here again for sure.

Came back here for 3 nights. It's just a great hotel in a surprisingly convenient location. Breakfast and pool are excellent. Only complaint - our corner room had an INCREDIBLY small bathroom! Not sure why. Oh well. We survived. Our go-to for Calgary trips now.

So, here is the good part: the hotel is conveniently located with the metro around the corner. The hotel is kept extremely clean and overall it is a visually appealing. Add to that a breakfast well above average with many choices. The not so good part: Whoever designed the hotel seemed to be more concerned with providing a visually appealing space than providing a restful place. The rooms are situated around an atrium and thus you can hear anyone who is walking through or any group of people at the bar. Add to that the fact that situated in the atrium is an open pool which guests can utilize until 10PM. So, the sounds of adults at the pool and children playing kept us from enjoying peace and quiet until 10:00 PM. Add to that thin walls that allowed us to hear the conversations next door, and the whole experience was not particularly pleasant. If you do intend to stay in this place, ask for the quietest room possible. If you are told that the corner room on the side of the pool is a quiet one, know that it is not.

My family stayed here for the first time and we all had a great stay. First the concierge staff were amazing and check-in experience was wonderful, the hotel location was really good, the room was spacious and clean, I even enjoyed using the gym which has the basic equipment and the breakfast was really really good most especially the omelette with choices of salsa, cheese, green onions on the side. There is also a pool right in the center and though it worried me that it might be noisy as we were near the pool, actually the noise didn't penetrate our room and therefore we had a good quality sleep. Wow, definitely not the last time for my family!!!

We traveled to Alberta in end of July - beginning of August 2018. We planned to go to Banff a lot so we were looking for a hotel in the western part of Calgary (to reduce travel time) and we book this hotel. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good, with lots of choices for food (hot and not so much). We enjoyed the pool and whirl pool (it was great after a long day of hiking). We parked in underground parking, which was very convenient. On the whole, we were very pleased with this hotel.

Very good accommodations. Great breakfast. A bit more expensive than nearby hotels but superior in quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk manager was outstanding when i needed some help.

Centrally located - exceptional customer service in all area of the hotel. (Get the free rewards card at check in for free underground parking) Breakfast buffet is good - some hot and cold options. Restaurant service is good - volume of food offered is more than adequate. Be aware that the centrally located indoor pool and hot tub will add to hallway noise in the interior open concept design of this building.

I was with my family and everyone was happy with the place. The room was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast especially the kids. There was a lot of variety. We actually wanted to extend our stay but they were fully booked.The staff were very helpful

Thank to Ronald at the Reservation desk for helping us get a room on short notice. We traveled over 14 hours to find the hotel we originally booked was not to our standards so we found the Best Western just down the road. Ronald was able to find us an amazing room, very reasonable price and great points on our Best Western Awards card. The atmosphere in this hotel was like a vacation itself and the food was amazing. Looking forward to visiting this hotel again.

We are just regular working folks (now retired on a fixed income) who appreciate good value for our hard-earned money. And the Best Western in Calgary's "Motel Village" has been providing us with great service and decent accommodations for over twenty years now. Here are a few of the special features that I feel are worth mentioning: The hotel is located just a couple of minutes away from the Foothills Hospital, and the Best Western provides us with a special rate for hospital visits. The hotel has secure heated underground parking, which is especially appreciated during the winter months. A full Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is free for their guests, and they have an indoor pool. In short, I feel safe promising that any guest will a great bang for their buck.

The rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast above standard for hotel breakfasts. Pool is small and a bit cool, the whirlpool lukewarm. Nice to have refrigerator & mircowave. Staff all seem friendly. Easy access to transit so you don't have to drive downtown, the C-train in 5 min walk and 15 min max to downtown.

I loved all from check-in and check out was very easy, i do not need to go to reception they dropped the bills and i just went straight to my car next day morning :) . They gave me underground parking which was nice (they said coz i have best western loyalty card). Free breakfast has many options including hot food. the room was super clean and spacious . its value for money and will definitely stay there in future . only 1 worry - There was a board "grab and go" in the reception (normally they should keep bottle water and fruit) but unfortunately they didnt had any and in the night when i asked the person in reception, he told me they dont keep any which was little weird but all good :)

A high level of customer service from check in to check out. Rooms are very clean and spacious, staff is attentive and breakfast is provided - though a few more breakfast options would be appreciated. Overall though, excellent value.

Very nice room with large TV and good internet. Free breakfast on actual plates and regular cutlery. Not the use once and toss type. We do not need to add extra garbage to this world. Plenty and fast, efficient and aware staff for the breakfast area. Overall an excellent place to stay, even though it can be a bit tricky to get to, if you do not google the location to be able to visualize your approach. We will stay there again.

Having stayed at a wide range of hotels, we made the presumption that the word “Plus” actually meant that the Best Western chain considered this property a bit better than their standard hotels. We could not find anything that would warrant that interpretation at this property. The first thing I must point out is that, even though the hotel lists its address as 1804 Crowchild Trail, it is actually located on 24 St NW which is elevated above Crowchildand can be best accessed by turning off Crowchild onto 23 Ave NW. When we were driving there we did not see the property at all and passed right by and were forced to turn around further up the road. The answer at the front desk was that the hotel was on the Crowchild “service road”. One day prior to arrival we called to ensure that we could get a room with two queen beds instead of one king. We were assured that this had been arranged however, when we arrived at the room, we found it to be a king bed room. The front desk staff indicated that “someone had changed it back” and offered no further explanation or apology. We were told that, because someone had just cancelled, there was one double queen bedded room left and we were assigned it. The view of the atrium from the elevator ride was pleasant and we did see what appeared to be a relatively small pool and Jacuzzi however, later events prohibited us from actually checking them out more closely. When we arrived in that fourth floor room, to say the least, we were shocked. I have never seen a hotel room that has two doors into the room, one leading to the main portion of the hotel overlooking the atrium and one leading to a walkway around the hotel. The only way to prevent people from seeing into the room as they walked by was to keep the drapes closed all the time, which in itself is a bit strange. The main door was equipped with a modern security latch however the one leading to the outside had the old fashioned type. We got comfortable and then noticed something that felt like a rock imbedded in the carpet in front of the TV however, it did not come out. We next noticed there were no individual amenities in the bathroom. Instead the hotel had decided to install large squeeze bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The only place I had ever seen this previously had been some work camps in NW Canada. At the last “Plus” hotel we had stayed at, they had taken the extra step to ensure that tall people could enjoy a shower as much as short people and had equipped them with a device sometimes known as a “shower up” which raised the shower head much higher. Not so at this hotel and the shower head was at nose level. For some unknown reason, whoever designed the bathroom renovation made the same mistake we found at another property and placed a “grab bar” in the shower exactly where one will bang their elbow into it every time they turn in the shower. Designing it to slope the opposite direction would have resolved this issue however, this was not done Interestingly, unlike any of the other BW hotels we have stayed at, there was no lighting available in the desk area. There are lights in the headboards, one by the main front door, and one in the corner of the room but other than that, the room is poorly illuminated. We decided to watch a bit of TV and learned that the hotel had opted for a cable package that included 10 sports channels, perhaps because they are located directly across the street from McMahon Stadium. If one is a sports fan this may be great but we are not. As we watched TV, we could hear the sounds of kids screaming while playing in the pool area which was part of the atrium. When we could still hear them screaming at 10:05 pm, I called the front desk to ask what time the pool closed and was told “in about five minutes”. The noise level diminished quite a bit after that. I am happy to say that the beds were very comfortable and we slept well. I have to admit I have stayed at very few hotels designed around an atrium however this was the noisiest one that I have been to. In the morning we again heard noises including the people setting up for breakfast. Interestingly, although we had arranged for a wake up call, none was ever received. When I called the front desk to ask if the system was out of order, no explanation or apology was provided or offered. Complimentary breakfast began at 7:00 am and there were a few people waiting when we arrived. At 7:05 the lights were turned on but by then the people waiting had begun serving and seating themselves. Breakfast included nicely done thick bacon, scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, salsa, and freshly cut/chopped vegetables. There was also a juice fountain, peeled boiled eggs, and a selection of bread and a toaster. On another row was a selection of cold cereals, a waffle maker with whipped cream and toppings, some yogurt and fresh fruit as well as three coffee dispensers and a selection of tea. At 7:15 they did bring out a dish of hash brown potatoes that also were perfectly done. The breakfast was well presented and tasted great. One slightly strange thing I noted was that when the server came to remove my plate, she also took my cutlery too that I had specifically placed beside the plate on my napkin. I had been taught that if one was done with everything, one placed the knife and fork next to each other on the plate as a signal to the server that you were done. It was not that big of a deal to walk back up to the line to get another knife and fork, simply an inconvenience. Getting ready to check out I noticed a sign regarding charges for amenities however, there was nothing to indicate how many of any one item should have been present in the room. I can only presume that this means that the property has suffered a rash of thefts in the past. Again, the only time I have ever experienced this has been at work camps however, there they provide a list of what should be provided and instructions that guests should inventory the room when they arrive. Without providing a list, there is no way for a guest to know what should be present or what they might be charged for when they leave (even if they are not responsible for something being missing). I definitely found this a bit strange. One other this about the property was that none of the staff did or said anything to make us feel welcome at any point; instead they simply did their jobs. This included the front desk staff at check-in and check-out, the restaurant staff, and the housekeeping staff when we ran into them. Quite often customers are willing to overlook many things if they are made to feel special but the management of this property has not imparted this wisdom upon their staff.

Stayed two nights with my family, the hotel, pool and room was clean. The staff was friendly the only issue was that we had to ask twice for extra bedding for the pull out couch but did get them before bed!

Nice hotel that needs to do just a bit more to become a Great hotel. The restaurant and lounge tries to be more upsale than it is. The higher end foods are not really well prepared. Better off eating at off location establishments. The free breakfast is pretty plain and over the multi day stay was poorly prepared.

Great family hotel in Calgary. The rooms are clean and spacious and the food is simple but good. The kids loved the pool area and the transit system is nearby and easy to use. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

My husband and I had to make a trip to Calgary for an appointment downtown. we decided to take an extra day and go to the Calgary Stampede and this hotel was the perfect place to stay. This Best Western is conveniently located in "motel village" - for those of us who remember it that way - and is very close to the Banff Trail C-train station. It was a quick C-train trip to downtown and then on to the Stampede - we totally avoided all the parking hassles. While it is an older hotel with an interior courtyard, pool and restaurant, they've done a nice job of updating it. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, fridge, microwave, coffee pot and sitting area. Our room was right next to the pool which can be noisy for those who want quiet. Just ask for a different room. The breakfast in the courtyard had your basic hot and cold selections which was adequate for what we wanted. I would stay here again.

The good - the rooms are exccellent with super comfy beds, close to tram station, excelent free wifi, restaurent food was good. The bad - the pool and restaurant area is located in the middle of all the rooms, the noise echos around and can be heard inside your room. Restaurant service is very slow on a quiet night. The very bad - you're asked to sign a form with your room rate upon check-in, when we checked out 2 of the 3 nights had a higher rate! Complained and had about $100 taken off.

I have stayed in many BWs and this is the best. Rooms have been updated since I was last there four years ago with thermostat controlled fan, heat and cooling, digital keycards, decor. Breakfast bar can't be beat - they have everything. Public areas are tasteful and bright and the manager seems to be everywhere smiling and greeting. Hot tub was not hot enough for me is the only downside.

The Best Western Plus Village Park Inn in Calgary, AB was a home away from home while my husband had open heart surgery at the Foothills Hospital. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, often stopping to ask how we were doing and how my husband was doing. The building is extremely clean and inviting. The continental breakfast is the best we have ever seen, a variety of fresh delicious food each morning. The restaurant had a great selection of food for lunch and supper also. The rooms were fresh and inviting, quiet and comfortable. The underground parking was very convenient. This is a must stay place when traveling to Calgary.

Fantastic room with two queen beds. Nice swimming pool and hot tub. Rooms open onto pool and restaurant. We asked for quiet room just off the main corridor. Food in the main restaurant was of good quality. There are a few restaurants nearby ie Denny's. Easy to catch the train into Calgary - station is 3 minutes walk away. Not much to see around the hotel, but this was good value for money. Nice helpful staff and ok breakfast.

We needed to stay a week night in Calgary to attend a funeral the next day and scoured the internet for a place to stay. There were a lot of options at a very reasonable price with almost all of them offering a breakfast. We chose the Best Western Plus Village Park inn because of the price and location and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is older however it has been renovated which was good as our room had a nice new smell. Rooms were large and the fridge and microwave were a plus. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and really good. The only thing I would recommend is to get a room away from the breakfast area. The hotel has a large open courtyard with all the rooms opening to that courtyard. All we could hear was klinking plates starting early in the morning so sleeping in was not an option. A room on the opposite end would be suggested.

The hotel is quite basic, but they make your stay feel way more expensive than it really is. The room is really big and the bathroom fully equipped. Bed, pillows, sheets and blankets are amazing! They have pool, a bar and a good option of breakfast. Don't expect a wide variety of food every morning, but some well made food that will be enough for the morning. They have some cons, of course. The water pressure is not as good as you might want and as the pool and everything else are located in the middle of the hotel, and every room can hear all the laughs, they close really early. But still, it's not a place the you may book if you are looking for a bar to drink all night. So overall it's a really good cost-benefit hotel. Also, Downtown Calgary is not a never ending night place. Eventually you will end up early at the hotel. The hotel is near the CTrain station, as well. And don't forget the two most important things: 1. They have a all you can eat waffle during breakfast!! 2. You can send stuff you buy online to the hotel!

Our first impressions of this Best Western Hotel were great. They allowed us early check-in which was kind. Front desk attendants were very helpful and nice at check-in. We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite with our 3 children and were immediately wowed with the aesthetics. The room was large and beautiful. The breakfast - for an included breakfast - was excellent. Our kind bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very modern and lovely! The not so great parts: pool is weird. Second floor in the courtyard so everyone who would like can stand on any floor and watch you swim. Felt a bit like being in a fishbowl. It was an adequate pool and my kids enjoyed it. Not tons of seating around the pool so it was nice that it wasn't crowded. It was noisy. We could hear the folks next door, the kids running through the halls, the activity downstairs. There is an balcony that runs along the length of the building with no barriers so at one point we had neighbour kids knocking on our patio door. Our toilet plugged and we called for a plunger...took hours to come. We needed pillows and blankets for our kids staying on the pull-out couch. I called the front desk and nobody answered so I went down to get them myself. Front desk said they would send some up...never came. I called again 45 min later while my kids waited to sleep and they said they hadn't gotten around to asking. When the blankets did come they were super weird. Like army surplus or something. Sticky and thin and just odd...I will say I was asked if I wanted a duvet or blankets - should have said duvet. I would stay here again....if our favourite Calgary Best Western was full...otherwise back to Best Western Port o' Call.

The comfort and amenities of this hotel is surpassed only by the first class service provided by the staff. From the reception desk to the breakfast room, guests are made to feel welcome by the friendliness of the employees. From discussion with Emad, the general manager, it is clear that such treatment is a policy of the hotel; obviously, the success of creating this atmosphere is due to staff members being well treated. In addition, the breakfast menu and service is excellent.

Everything was very clean. The house keepers were always friendly as were all the hotel staff. The pool and hot tub were nice to relax in. The hotel had a modern feel. The general manager went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. He was very personable. Would forsure reccomend this hotel. It is close to SAIT, north hill mall, 10 minutes from Market Mall, and very close to Mcmahon Stadium.

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Staff push it to 5*. Friendly, helpful from front desk to buffet breakfast staff. Felt welcome from the minute we walked in the door. Now our hotel of choice when visiting Calgary!

My son and I came down for the Stampede Challenge hockey tournament along with the rest of our team, (the Canwest AAA Kings ??) and were thoroughly impressed. Beautiful renovation, Courtyard style with central pool, perfect central location, price was right, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We found this hotel to be convenient, comfortable beds, very clean and served an excellent breakfast which was included . The staff were friendly both at the front desk and for supper in the bar area. Would recommend. Good value for the price .

I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights as my husband was hospitalized @ Foothills Medical Centre. The staff of this property are, without exception, very kind and caring. They did everything possible to make my stay comfortable. The room was excellent - quiet, incredibly clean, comfortable and secure. The morning breakfast buffet is very good with a terrific selection of hot and cold items. The restaurant/lounge food is very good. The front desk staff (especially Ronald) went the extra mile to ensure that everything was OK and extended my stay as required. Ronald also made sure I had bagged breakfasts to take to the hospital on the day of surgery as we had to leave before the buffet was open - he made sure to send an extra one along in case my husband 's surgery was cancelled. The hotel is in such a great location - easy to take a cab to the hospital and walkable. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

Excellent hotel, Many extras included. The manager has complimentary drinks and snack on Tuesday evenings. Great pool, top buffet breakfast, eexcellent bar and evening meals. Highly recommend. Have stayed there on three occasions now, same first class service every time.

The hotel was easy to find, the staff was efficient and very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was very good. However the room itself was not clean. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom needed a little more attention.

Hotel room was nice and I really enjoyed the layout of the hotel and being able to look out your door and see down into the restaurants/breakfast areas. Getting to the hotel was a bit difficult and the turn is really tight and easy to miss. We had a block booking for a wedding that we were attending and unfortunately the rooms that one of our family members had requested wasn't up to standard (he had a wheel chair and wasn't able to fit through the bathroom door) the hotel was able to put him in a different room that was a bit better. After some of the bridesmaids came back from the wedding really late Saturday night the front desk attendants told them they didn't have a room left for them (even though they had booked months in advance and had a confirmation number for their booking) after they showed the confirmation number they were able to have the last room (so they were told) in the hotel. If you want to sleep in this really isn't the hotel for you as it can get loud in the rooms just from everyone getting an early breakfast in, all I could hear after 7am was the beeping of the waffle maker even though I had a room on the 4th floor. The location of the hotel is great and really close to shopping centres and the city centre.

We stayed here on a Saturday night, and paid a total of $180. For the price, we have stayed in better hotels value-wise. I will say though, that this was the best Best Western we have stayed in. The hotel was decent, has some nice updates, and staff were mostly friendly. The room was clean, but other parts of the hotel needed a good deep cleaning (specifically floors, stairs.) We were in room 236, and our view was the worst we have ever had. Not that it bothered us that much, but it was really bad. I am posting a picture for reference. If a view is important, ask for a room on the 4th floor. The layout of this hotel is interesting. The pool, restaurant and bar are all in a central indoor space. So being in the pool is a little weird, because everyone throughout the hotel is looking in on you. Besides the small pool, there is a hot tub. There is no water slide. We liked that there was some nice seating around the pool for those of us who weren't swimming. The included breakfast was one of the better ones we have had a hotel. However, it seemed that all the other guests felt the same. It was so busy, they even ran out of forks for quite a while. We had to lurk around looking for a free table too. I would suggest getting there early if you don't want to fight the crowd. Parking was free. This hotel is easy to access as it's right off 16th ave (Trans-Canada). We chose to stay here because it is close to the Jubilee Auditorium.

The staff at the hotel went out of their way to assist my mother and aunts during their stay. It almost seemed that they were responsible for their well being. This attention was greatly appreciated by them and by me.

Our business stay in Calgary was only for one night, but the experience with the hotel staff was superb and the hotel was an amazingly beautiful place to stay. The pictures on their website didn't prepare us for how classy the place really was to see in person. The bedroom was clean, quiet, comfortable. The bedding was almost like being home. The breakfast the next morning was perfect. The restaurant inside the hotel, nestled in the center of the atrium core of the building, had a diverse menu and reasonable prices. And the underground parking garage was a perfect place to keep my BMW out of the weather. The elevator, with a glass view of the hotel atrium, made it easy to go straight from the garage to our floor, or right to the restaurant. My wife and I will definitely stay here again on our next business trip, and will recommend it to our friends and family.

This hotel chain is using SOOOOO much plastic, it's unconscionable. In your room, there are no drinking containers or coffee options that do not include plastic. There are stacks of plastic cups, and each plastic cups is individually wrapped in plastic. Or stacks of non-recyclable paper cups, each wrapped in plastic. The coffee maker is a single cup coffee maker, so you have to use a non-recyclable paper cup (wrapped in plastic) and water in a plastic bottle to make coffee. There are no utensils, only plastic stir sticks.

NIce spacious room. Comfortable beds, Very nicely renovated BR with good shower & all toiletries you might need. Efficient check in & check out. Included breakfast was OK- usual items & very good coffee. Supper in restaurant was fair - service was good but food was not very good. Pool & hot tub good. All staff very friendly & helpful.

This is a solid hotel in terms of amenities, location, state of cleanliness, cost and general quality. This is our usual hotel when in Calgary on business. The staff is always very polite and knowledgeable and the complimentary breakfast is among the best I have had in a hotel-probably the main reason we keep going back. The gym is also better than most hotels I have been to. That said, they recently released a new menu in the restaurant is average quality and pricy.

The hotel itself is nice. The courtyard style makes for a nice change of pace from the usual hotel. The area itself isnt great. It's right near McMahon Stadium, which isn't an ideal area for anything unless you're going to a football game. Exterior could use some improvement, but the underground parking was a big plus.

Great location! Friendly staff for the most part. WIFI did not work and the Hot tub was not hot at all, like a warm pool. The openness made for a great looking hotel but was loud in the evenings. When there were people visiting out there it echoed a fair bit.

I have stayed at this property many times and it is a pleasure to return. They treat me like family. The rooms are always clean, They have good beds, great TVs and a Hot tub and pool. They offer a nice breakfast which is included in my room rate .

For the last 5 years this has been our go to hotel when staying in Calgary. It's clean, updated, well located, and is a very good value for your dollar. They renovated the hotel in the last couple of years and that has made it even better. The breakfast is decent, lots of choices.. The only downside is the pool is in the centre courtyard of the hotel so it can be quite noisy at times but by the time you go to bed it's quiet. We haven't eaten in the restaurant in a few years so I can't comment on that, but we love going to Nick's which is a short walk from the hotel...great Italian food, very generous portions.

Quality of room was excellent. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Village Park location is central to much of Calgary. Restaurant food variety and quality is very good. Underground parkade is great and secure.

We were booked for 3 nights but hit a storm and ended up arriving a day late. Front desk staff was accommodating and friendly when we called to let them know and when we finally arrived. Check in was quick and painless. Our room was clean and well appointed. Housekeeping was very good. As other reviewers have mentioned, the whole hotel is built around the pool and atrium this means there are no “quiet” rooms. That being said, we stayed right next to the pool and didn't find the noise too bothersome (disclaimer: we have (older) kids so we are fairly used to some noise). Staff closed the pool on time so there was some respite. We had no issues with noise from other patrons getting breakfast in the morning. Breakfast selections were varied (hot and cold items) and overall very good. The hotel was well located for our competition at the university...just a few minutes drive. And easy to get to and from. Everything we needed was also close by. The pool is smallish but the kids had no complaints and were happy with it. They always bring a few small toys for the pool when there is no water slide so they made their own fun. The hot tub was nice too. My only complaint would be how dim the lighting in the pool area was at night but that is not exactly a deal breaker. Underground parking was good with plenty of space available when we were there. There was only one elevator running due to upgrades but that won't be forever. We did not have a chance to try out the restaurant. We will likely be back for the same competition next year and would definitely book here again.

Close to major routes, easy access from roadway. Quite and clean location close to restaurants. Great amenities within hotel, pool, lounge, restaurant. Nice layout of rooms with exterior entrance. Black out curtains were fantastic

Arrived at the hotel as a winter snow storm was looming, and a number of volleyball and hockey teams were checking in for tournaments over the Easter weekend. The hotel booking system seemed to have a glitch in it that caused overbooking and when we arrived our reserved room was not available. There were other guests in a similar predicament, and this was stressful for some, particularly with the impending storm and it's projected impact on travel the next day. The desk staff, Ronald, Joseph, and a trainee maintained a calm, professional and reassuring demeanour, and worked with us to find a room in the hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all elements in working order. We were particularly impressed with the kitchen that provides fare for The Courtyard restaurant and Rockies Bar. We sampled a couple of delicious Indian dishes as well as steaks that were as good as those I've had at restaurants that specialize in steaks. The breakfast was comprised of “real” food and plenty of hot choices, i.e. real scrambled eggs, beans, bacon and sausages, and not the fake powdered eggs and meat product cylinders often served as part of the complimentary breakfasts. Throughout our two-day stay, the staff, from housecleaning to restaurant to front desk, were courteous and polite not only to the guests, but towards each other, and I certainly had the sense that Ronald and Joseph at the front desk truly cared about the guests. The hotel is constructed in an open concept with the bar and restaurants, as well as the pool and tub in the centre, with the rooms on the outside. As a consequence, the noise level can be a bit much during the day, but by 11pm the pool is closed and the restaurant clientele have departed. Getting to this hotel is not intuitive. It is in the same block as a number of other hotels, but you have to navigate to what appears to be the rear of the other hotels to find the BW. There are only a couple of parking spots out front that are for temporary use while checking in. The main parking for the hotel is underground.

I was looking for a hotel in northwest Calgary and found this gem. I booked it because of its location, its in a hotel chain that I support and didn't pay a lot of attention to the amenities. When I drove up to it I thought well just a typical hotel, Ill stay my one night and be off. Then I walked through the front doors! As soon as you walk in you realize they have been upgrading the whole place. They provided great service at the front desk and were very welcoming. On my way to the room the only negative I would have to say about the hotel was that one of the two elevators was down for servicing and looked like it had been for quite a while. Small distraction! Upon entering my room I was absolutely blown away. It was clean, extremely modernized and spacious. That theme was actually throughout the hotel. They offered an awesome breakfast with pretty well anything a person could want. I would give this hotel 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Great place to stay for our weekend at dance comp. Very close to the university of Calgary. The front staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff in the breakfast area were friendly and also very helpful. They asked if we where done before removing your plate.

The BW Village Park Inn is our hotel of choice when coming to Calgary for Medical purposes. Not only is it in close proximity to Hospitals, and surrounded by dining and entertainment options, it is staffed by knowledgeable, efficient, and caring staff! We've tried other options, but always come back to the BW Village Park Inn!

Good place to stay while in Calgary. Convenient location. Nice room. Trip was for medical appointment at Foothills Hospital/University of Calgary and it was close by and easy to get to the hospital for appointment. Parking at Health Building was rather expensive but otherwise ok. Parking at the hotel was great, heated underground and secure.

Everything is your standard hotel with comp breakfast which is nice. The downfall is the structure and design of the building. We stayed over a Saturday night the same weekend there were young sports teams there. Let's just say they enjoyed having a pool located in the center of the building with no sound barrier first thing in the morning. All the noise travels up so if you're staying there on a weekend, ask for a room on the same side as the lobby. We called the front desk to ask them if they could send someone over to the pool but they said they've already done that a few times.

This is my new go-to hotel for business at the Foothills Hospital. I've also started staying there for personal travel. Very clean. Friendly staff. Great bar and wonderful breakfast. You can't beat the price!

Being so close to the highway, we expected more highway noise, but we couldn't hear much of that at all. Stayed in room 440. The only noise we could hear was kids having fun in the pool. We ordered the pizza from the restaurant and it was excellent! We couldn't finish it, so saved leftovers and had them for breakfast the next morning, so never got to try the continental breakfast. Room was very clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable. I had a great sleep. Staff was friendly as well. Would stay here again if passing through.

I stayed there to attend a conference. The set up is unique with an open dining area and children's pool also on the main floor of the court yard type setting. Rooms are well equipped and clean. I found thee bathroom clean, small tub area though. Staff were very friendly.

Loved my room, so contemporary. Modern washroom with lots of space. Cool front area to charge devices (so many plugs, love the set next to the bed!). Big TV, fridge, microwave and free water (really nice touch). Breakfast is included and it's fantastic! Fresh fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage with oatmeal, fresh diy waffles, yogurt etc.. Really nice look to the lobby and the pool is out in the open in the central area! So interesting, wish I had time to hit the hot tub.

Great hotel. I needed two special adjustments to the normal billing process. I explained the adjustments when I arrived. When I checked out, I saw the adjustments were handled perfectly correctly. The bathroom configuration is a little cramped, but otherwise a large, well set-up room.

Hotel staff is always Amazing the hotel it's self is really nice rooms are big and bed are extremely comfy. Has really good breakfast but restraunt is a little on the expensive side for what you get. Pool and hot tub in the center can get a little noisy at times but not to bad.

Check in was quick and easy, staff friendly and welcoming. Hotel is nicely appointed and very attractive, both in the public area and in the room. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and enjoyed a good night's sleep. We were meeting friends for breakfast so didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but the rest of the stay was excellent.

Hotel is pretty nice. Beds are good, room was clean. If you are a light sleeper, you may not like their courtyard set up. Restaurant is in the middle, could hear clanging dishes from our 3rd floor suite. Staff seem to not have a lot of urgency or overt friendliness at the desk. Had a not great server in the lounge. We booked on hotwire and it was about $60 a night.

What was probably the most delicious free buffet breakfast we've ever had in the morning!! But only second to that was how friendly the staff were. Will definitely stay here if we come back through Calgary again.....also, it has a very convenient, easy access to Hwy 1...less than a block!

This hotel is our favorite. We use it for business and family, but cannot select two options. Love staying here as we feel comfortable and safe. Highly recommend this hotel in Calgary as there are many to chose from.

Great place just minutes from Olympic Park in Western Calgary, right off TransCanada Hwy. Underground parking, nice rooms, and a super breakfast in the morning. While booking the guy on phone checked if I had best Western rewards, and I did but had forgotten, and that knocked almost $20 off room cost and gave us free underground parking... was very handy. Very interesting decor and architecture compared to most Best Westerns. Good bed, and LOVE their breakfasts...

I have stayed at 7 or more Chain Hotels all over USA and Canada. None have been as good of an experience as Best Western, Right from the professional and very friendly front desk staff you meet at check-in to the cleaners you occasionally meet, they all treat you with respect and a friendly smile. Other chains could certainly learn from them. The buildings are all modern (many recently renovated) and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great two day stay. Nice bed, the room was clean and set up for a disabled person. We enjoyed the free breakfasts. Lots of variety and well stocked, even with the volume of people going through. The front counter staff were great, and friendly. Really good underground parking and well lit.Very nice sports bar, with TVs and friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed the stay.

We were here from Christmas Day for four nights, braving the frigid Calgary temperatures. Check in was smooth and we joined the BW Club to get free underground parking, which was sorely needed. The room was spacious and sufficiently well lit for my needs. We found the temperature set too high, but that was easily fixed. The room was also very quiet, as the pool was closed from 10 pm to 9 am. Breakfast was very good, with excellent variety of both hot and cold dishes. My only issue was the strong smell of Chlorine from the pool, which I do not like. Fortunately, it did not follow us into the room. A good stay. Since we come to Calgary to visit fanily two or three times a year, we will likely be back.

This hotel has been updated, and is very stylish and contemporary. It is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located close to Foothills Medical Centre (a cab ride is less than $10). We received a bit of a discount as this hotel graciously offers a reduced rate to people needing to stay in Calgary while being treated at Foothills, so it was definitely good value for our money. On our visit, all the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Offered was a full selection of hot (waffles, bacon, eggs) and cold (cereal, fruit) items, and would easily cost $20 at a restaurant. The only negative is that most of the rooms were adjacent to the atrium, which houses the pool, hot tub, restaurant, and lounge, so noise was bit of an issue, but mostly during the day. We have more overnight trips scheduled and will 100% be staying here again!

Very convenient to C-Train and to amenities required for this area of Calgary. Very close to Foothills Medical Centre. Heated underground parking was so nice during winter months and handy in the summer during hail storms. Very comfortable room and included breakfast was very nice with many choices of hot or cold items. The staff is exceptional and so very helpful.

Very nice staff, clean rooms, great breakfast and room service. Really liked the underground heated parking. -35 degrees while I was there. Close to the Foothills Hospital. My wife was a patient at the hospital which made it very convenient for me to travel to and from the hospital.

Great rooms, work desk, good beds. Overall a great stay. Enjoyed the amenities. Good location. Underground parking. I would recommend. Good price. Now I'm just trying to fill the 200 required characters... lol
