Best Western Premier Freeport Inn Calgary Airport

Great hotel and location to the airport. Rooms were well appointed. Keurig coffee machine in room with a selection of coffee/tea. Bed was extremely comfortable and the best pillows. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurant for breakfast was awesome. We will definitely stay there again.

We had the most beautiful stay at the Best Western Premier Freeport Inn. We arrived in Calgary exhausted from an overnight flight. The shuttle arrived promptly with a very friendly and helpful driver and we were soon at the hotel. We were so tired and when we arrived the kitchen was closed and not open again until supper but the lady at the desk said that wasn't a problem. Just take our things to our room and when we were ready the shuttle driver would take us to a nearby restaurant and then pick us up when we done. We did have supper at the hotel and it was excellent! Our room was beautiful with an electric fireplace and a very comfortable bed. The room was spotless. I felt like we were at a spa! For a very reasonable surcharge we got an early check in so we could get some sleep. We had a misunderstanding about the shuttle times to catch our flight the next morning and the shuttle was full but that wasn't a problem for the very helpful young men at the front desk. They said they would arrange a ride for us when we were ready to go. Again so friendly! It was such a good experience that we would go back just to stay at this hotel! We were so impressed. Good job everyone! I didn't think to get names but they were really a great team.

Our stay at BWP was wonderful. We arrived at 8:30 pm was able to have a great meal in the restaurant/ lounge. Great food and service. Our room was extremely clean and well appointed. Would highly recommend this hotel

This was an awesome hotel and I am so glad we stayed here. The place is super close to the airport, the rooms were very modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Plus the on-site restaurant had very good food. The free transportation to and from the airport was a huge plus. Great value, awesome, place, and would gladly stay again! The hotel had Clean rooms, comfy beds, easy access to airport and breakfast service in the dining room. Only had a short one night stay in order to fly out in the morning but the hotel was more than adequate.

This hotel offers a short drive to the airport, big clean rooms, an amazing friendly staff, and very comfortable beds. It also offers a restaurant, work out facilities, and pool. I would definitely stay in this new hotel again!

Our flight was delayed two hours and we thought we might have to cancel. I phoned ahead but was told….sorry, you still have to pay. No complimentary breakfast. We did finally arrive at 2 in the morning to find they had turned the hot water temperature down so there would be no bath or shower…..unless you like tepid showers.

I originally stayed here because I a free room but will probably make it my regular YYC stop. Rooms are large with coffee maker, microwave and safe. There is a restaurant on site open late. Supper was good, breakfast less so. There is a pool which I haven't used yet. It is about 2 km from the airport but there is a24 hour shuttle. Plus the distance makes it quieter.

We would definitely return to this location. Friendly caring staff. Exceptionally clean general area's and rooms. They offer keurig coffee in rooms with real coffee mugs. Super comfortable beds. Clean laundry rooms. Love this hotel!

This hotel is great for our stop over between flights. The free shuttle is efficient The beds are very comfortable for an excellent rest. Check in and out is quick and efficient We book to stay here whenever we need a Calgary connection , booking online works well and direct calls to the hotel are answered promptly providing any information you need.

I stayed here for my early flight at YYC. The staffs are very responsible for the early flight to YCC for shuttle reservation. They are also care for their guest who had injured during their vacation at Calgary. One of the best airport hotel that I've stayed.

It was quite expensive, but the room was clean and quiet. Not much around there to do. Their breakfast was terrible. It was probably free breakfast which they decided to charge for. If they are going to do that they should get better cooks. We were there two days and discovered a great restaurant that was walkable and open for breakfast, we had dinner there also. Plus Tim's isn't too far to drive. There supposedly is a bus to go downtown, but nobody at the desk knew about it. So we drove. Location is good for airport and easy to drive if you are going north, you can avoid some of the busyness, except Deerfoot

We had a good stay at this hotel. It is starting to show its age though. The laminate was peeling from the bottom of the bathroom door, the bed (although comfy) was sagging toward the middle, etc. It just doesn't feel new anymore. Besides that, everything was clean and service was good. It's a good option if you need to be close to the airport.

Restaurant hotel went over and beyond helping myself and my son after missing our connection home. It was only myself and my one year old. I had 3 different staff members at the restaurant asking me if my son would like yogurt, fruit, milk for bed and cereal for the morning. I have never had such amazing service as I did at this restaurant. They made a bad experience into a good on. Thank you restaurant staff.

perfect location, friendly staff, great value for the money. would highly recommend. Breakfast was great. fitness room had what you need for a short stay. Rooms were clean and was able to get a good nights rest before our flight.

the beverage machines indicate drinks cost $2.00 and can only be paid with a bank debit card. Surprise when the bank charged came it was for the amount of $3.00. None of the machines will accept cash. Glad I didn't make 5 different purchases as it would have cost me an additional $5.00. A very chintzi setup.

Great experience! Rooms were clean and spacious. Shuttle to/from YYC. Enjoyed a great dinner in the hotel restaurant - burgers are really good, cream of mushroom soup is probably the best I've had, and the chicken stir fry was also delicious! Staff are friendly and courteous. We would definitely stay again.

I stay here on the regular for every night shift fly out with Westjet for Suncor. Unless it's Calgary Stampede season where rates have to obviously change. This has been the choice for me for the last 2 years

I love staying at this hotel. It is always clean and up to date. The beds are great and I always have a great sleep. The staff is nice an professional and it is a great location to the airport and easy access to the rest of Calgary. We have stayed at this location many times and will continue to return here.

Nothing too fancy. Showers are as slow with no pressure like most other hotels. Was told at check out that my company's corporate rate included free breakfast vouchers, but never got them at check in. They offered it for me to get that morning, but I had to run to catch a plane. Stayed for two nights. Not sure if I'd pick this hotel again, or stay at my usual. This one was convenient though as it was near the airport, and it was quick to get to our meetings at a different location.

My daughter and I just spent 2 nights while stranded in Calgary trying to return to Kelowna during the wildfires (meanwhile evacuated from our home). Staff was very kind and accommodating, helping us extended our stay when flights were cancelled and giving us a late checkout. The property is full service, food at the restaurant was pretty good and waterslide and pool area is fun for kids. Everything was super clean and our King fireplace was a comfy room with a little kitchenette type area (microwave, fridge, sink). We would definitely stay here again if needing hotel by Calgary airport!

I can't find fault with anything. An excellent experience all around. Staff are extremely proficient and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and anything and everything you may need is supplied. The best sleep I've had in a while. The bed and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud.

My room was spotless, had a big shower! I ate supper in the restaurant, was very good and was exactly what was ordered. Took the shuttle to the airport, it was on time and the driver was organized and on time.

We are really satisfied and happy with our stay on this hotel. Staffs are very helpful and kind but we want to suggest to have a free breakfast next time... especially for those group of people or family

Flew into Calgary on our way to Glacier Nat'l Park, with our ultimate destination, Jasper AB. Very comfortable room and luxurious bedding. Very early morning coffee available in the lobby. Had breakfast and dinner with great service and reasonably priced. "Suresh" was a very busy and accomplished Server/Bartender duties and performed them without a glitch. Thanks You!

I had a great experience in Best Western during Calgary Stampede festival. I was pleasantly surprised with management and personnel welcomeness, some merch they give out when you check in and also swimming pool slides for kids!!

We stayed at this hotel with friends during the Stampede weekend and it was amazing! The hotel was well decorated for the occasion, the beds were comfortable, check in/check out was smooth. Compliments to the management and the employees!

Room was filthy. Water was spilled when we first arrived and the towel we wiped it up with came out black with grime. Had a strong smell of urine and mould. Between the hotel condition and what they offer for the price ex. No breakfast. I will not be returning and would not recommend.

Reasonable price and convenient to the airport. Would go again. Restaurant food is very good. Unfortunate prices are ridiculously high in peak periods. Anything more than $150 is not worth it to me.

On a recent trip to Banff, we decided to stay at the Premier Best Western at 88 Fremont Blvd, Calgary, AB for a night and drive over to Banff the next morning. We had dinner and a drink at the hotel bar/restaurant and our meals were great and the service was excellent. Our server/bartender made several excellent dining recommendations for our stay in Banff. The breakfast staff was equally helpful and friendly. After I returned home to Minnesota, I had the chance to follow-up with Ms. Elise Shorting-Director Sales and Elise was extremely helpful responding to my questions regarding Best Westerns Rewards program. We will definitely stay at the Premier Best Western at 88 Fremont Blvd, Calgary, AB again on our next trip to Banff.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The beds are comfortable and the pillows just right. The staff was personable and attentive. Would highly recommend. The restaurant had good food and the breakfast sever was an amazing lady with a great personality!

This was our second time using this location on a stop over from Vacation. Staff were friendly, and quick to help. Only complaint would be the Breakfast in the morning. What looked and seemed like a continental breakfast but was being called a buffet had a charge of $20.

had to stay overnight in Calgary for a personal errand. My flight was late at night -- didn't reach YYC till 11pm and I was so scared to commute as I was alone. I booked this hotel for safety reasons and I'm glad I did! I called them a day in advance to say that I was checking in late and then called them again when I have arrived and ready to be picked up. The receptionist told me the exact place where to wait for the shuttle and they were so prompt in picking me up. The driver was also friendly. When I checked in, the room was ready for me and the staff was so friendly. My room was clean and it had everything I needed. My stay may be short, but it was relaxing and hassle free. It helped me a lot with my hectic day. Will definitely book this hotel again!

I would recommend a restaurant outside of the hotel but other than that it was great! I enjoyed the pool and hot tub and slide! The hotel was quite as it was a Monday night. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable!! Not too bad for the price.

This was very nice hotel. However, know it is a standalone property so don't expect other services within walking distance. Our stay was without issues. We reserved for two nights, one night at the beginning and one at the end of our trip. We selected this hotel because of the BW name, its proximity to the Calgary airport, the free 24-hr airport shuttle and the availability of long term parking. Flight cancellations on our return trip made us unable to use our reserved room. I called the hotel as soon as we were made aware of the cancellation and they graciously forgave us our reservation obligation. We noted the staff were friendly. The property was sparsely decorated for the season and the restaurant on the premises served mostly bar food. The only negative, was the fact we waited almost 45 minutes for a shuttle pickup upon our return. It seems somebody forgot to pick us up.

Booked a room over the phone and was told this hotel has a full restaurant and a nice menu with VLTs and was also open later in the evening. Once I arrived the hotel had a pub with pub food, no VLTS, and it was not open late which was the whole reason I selected this hotel. I ended up leaving very upset since this was a special night and going home cause I was so upset. I brought it up with front desk on arrival and they did not care at all. Said my card wont be charged and it was. I reached out to the general manager and got no response. Very unprofessional staff and scamming senor citizens is just not right..... Horrible Hospitality

Stayed 2 nights in December, 1 on each side of our flights into and out of Calgary, we got a great room rate as we booked in advance, the room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Front desk was efficient and friendly. We used the airport shuttle once , it could have been cleaner but for what it was it worked , we will stay again!

The hotel was full and the service was amazing. Best beds in town. We continue to stay at this location because of the service and the quality of the beds. I highly recommend this location. It is close to the airport.

I am a Best Western Gold member and may be a bit biased towards the hotel brand. This Best Western Premier Hotel lives up to its reputation as a great place to stay for those transiting or staying overnight. We were thankful to get out of Puerto Vallarta on December 23, 2022 in the late afternoon. After several delays due to snow and wind storms throughout North Smerica we left over two hours later and arrived in Calgary before midnight and got the free shuttle to the Best Western Premier Hotel on Freeport Blvd and got there within 20 minutes of our arrival. The shuttle and check in was very quick we here we arranged for a wake up call at 6:00 am and we were off in the free shuttle back at 6:30 am to the airport for our 7:45 am flight. This has to be one of our quickest turns arounds in years and really appreciated th best service we have encountered at a hotel in years of travelling as retirees. Kudos to the front desk for the quick shuttle service both ways and fast check in and.check out service.

Many.. I address this with the Hotel GM Dmitriy Mosiychuk on check out. GM was not happy with the occupational, health and safety problems. The second the lack of service provided except for the Bar tender turn server on our nightly meal as dinner on our first night this employee was exceptional and why i would not score this report even worse for service. Mr. Dmitriy said he will look into it and would offer myself a free night stay with a meal attached if i would return back to see the changes. Not sure if he is serious but my experiences was horrible i went to best western premier for my daughter sweet 16 birthday celebration and had the worse experience staying at a best western noting this is a premier top of the line class i would be thinking so. I am a former hotel inspector and sit on a Occupational, Health and Safety Boards within another Hotel as a the Chair or it. including a business traveler owning serval business to boot. I know what service levels should be at this is greatly under performing. Not Top or Line. Bullet points i will address each matter of problems. on - Check-in at 7:05pm, December 20, 2022. Front desk did not advise me where the elevators were just pointed to the direction of the kitchen for us to put our birthday cake we had on us for storage as per requested by myself. No directional signage existed throughout hotel especially around front desk areas so i got lost right away and went the wrong direction feeling very uncomfortable and embarrassed in the presence of my daughter. The room i was given is room number 209 a double queen room. Restaurant night eating at 7:30pm Experienced a large Ketchup spill surrounding a large part of the flooring that was only covered over by a napkins and NO wet floor signage in area or clean up until the morning after when i brought the GM to the area and there was still harden particle ketchup stain still in the floor not clean up properly. Occupational, Health and safety concern. for slip and falls and possible law suits from guest hurting themselves at a Premier Best Western Hotel. Food Quality: 4 out of 5. We order fetichinni alfreado bacon meal we got less protein of it and more sauce Too saucy. Food Presentation: 4 out of 5, Missing some type of garnish presentation on this meal. Menu Variety: 2 out of 5 really none available just a few choices. Service within Bar/Restaurant - 5+ that contributing only one gentleman playing both bar tender and restaurant server at the similar moment in time his name is Suresh Anand Awesome service he did not miss a beat service on time. The restaurant and bar area was very busy during our dinner time. Atmosphere: 3 out or 5 - We were in an open booth seating and no close booth was available for a private dinning. Cleanliness: Refer back to the spilled Ketchup de-boggle. scoring possible 3 out of a 5 for excellence. I called for room service late on December 20, 2022 my room phone run 10 times no front desk answered my call if this was an actual emergency i would of died for wants, not acceptable level of service before I finally hang up the call. Overall service within the hotel scored 2 out of 5 maximum. As a Platinum member Shocked & disappointment in overall service levels. The front desk attendant was friendly but not helpful just pointed allot not shown to a new check in guest after your recent renovation that changed and separated various areas of the hotel. I was there because my flight from Calgary to Lloydminster got diverted back to Calgary for the night due to fog. I found this hotel because it was a really decently-priced hotel near the airport at such short notice, and they had shuttle service to the airport. the first hour i was there, the fire alarm went off, but the Calgary fire department was there very promptly(less than 10 minutes) so 5 stars for the calgary fire department. lol!. check in was quick and the gentleman who checked me in was courteous. will stay again if ever in calgary for whatever reason.

I held a weekend Paper Crafting retreat at the hotel and it went amazing! The retreat room was well lit, perfectly set up just as I had requested. The hotel staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The food was so delicious! The guest rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable. I am completely impressed!

Poor service for the price; poor restaurant and service At the restaurant; front counter staff rude. We were told we could Park our vehicle On-site while Away for 7 days and then stay at this hotel upon return. At the last minute we were told we couldn't keep our vehicle There - what a scramble to find alternate arrangements right at the time we were supposed to be shuttled over to the airport for an international flight. We were directed to a specific paid Parking venue; made me wonder whether they own the paid parking venue we were directed to.

Catching flight early morning ,stay because we had stayed there before. We were very happy with the experience. Staff were kind ,friendly and professional. The room was excellent! They upgraded us to a king suite with fireplace . The room was clean ,comfortable and quiet . We will definitely stay there again.

Children and TV was a bit loud on level4 but it was controlled quickly by one parent. Nice having an espresso machine downstairs, that is all mater to me. Need forks and spoon from the hotel management in the rooms if affordable please.

We always stay at the Best Western Premier Freeport when flying out of Calgary! Great service and a lovely hotel. There is a shuttle and its always available and on time. Great staff always willing to help. Clean rooms and always a treat to stay here!

Found rooms clean, came with small fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Beds and bedding were first class. Pool was nice though a little cool. Missed breakfast s early flight but staff was setting up and appeared to be above the standard hotel style meal

We very much enjoyed out short stay here. My partner loved the pool, waterslide and hottub, while I soaked in the jacuzzi upstairs while watching a movie! The restaurant service was great, they only had one server/bartender, but he took care of everyone very well. Complimentary airport shuttle runs every half hour, so convenient!

I chose this BW because it was not far from the airport and I don't know Calgary. I am so glad that I did!! My daughter flew to Italy from Calgary and I am planning to make this hotel our choice any time we are flying. The shuttle is the best one that I have even used. Staff was excellent. The restaurant served very good meals. The price was good. This one speaks very loudly for BW.

Very pleasant and helpful at front desk! A girl at the front desk knew we were very tired and got us checked in quickly and was very helpful. rooms were clean and quiet, no problems at all. Great spot near the airport.

The staff, the room and the hospitality of this hotel were great! The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. The amenities were exceptional and it's nice that's its close to the Calgary International Airport. The staff were very friendly. 10/10

Stayed at the Freeport Inn the night before flying out of Calgary in the AM. The hotel is in an industrial area. It's a short 10 min or less ride to the airport to return a rental car. There is a Petrol gas station nearby at Country Hills and Barlow Trail NE to use prior to returning the car. The hotel is beautiful. Our room had a king bed. There was a fireplace that separated the bed area from a couch TV and desk area. The room was very comfortable. I really appreciated the fact that we had a good meal for dinner and breakfast right there in the hotel. The restaurant area was very spacious. There was a bar area also if you wanted to relax there. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and professional. I especially appreciated the hotel shuttle availability. Both drivers we had were great.

It is not worth staying at this location go down the road to another hotel brand this location will over charge you for a sub-par room and also charge you for a breakfast they also have basic cable at this location which is extremely sad for times we are in

We booked ahead directly with the hotel and when checked in everything was arranged promptly. Hotel was clean, quiet and served our needs for the night. Check out was looked after automatically on our credit card and we were pleased with our stay.

The hotel was very nice and very friendly staff. perfect on time shuttle to the airport the next day. The restaurant was also very good but a little pricey. Not much nearby unless you have a vehicle though.

Stay here about couple days ago with family and friends. A staff at front desk (guy from India) so arrogate and unprofessional dealing at phone or in person talking to me. Wait, i am a guest what i say and want it needs to listen, and vice versa i will listen if i know i am wrong. I will never recommend this hotel.

Our first trip to Calgary was very pleasurable and staying at this hotel made the difference. Their staff provided consistently excellent service and that stood out for us. From the answer to our phone call to the serving of meals and cleaning of rooms; their service was excellent. Kudos and thank you all.

Front desk gentleman was not very friendly. Room was very nice and comfortable. No breakfast included like other Best Western Hotels. On website states bag and grab breakfast for a nominal fee but didn't not see any breakfast. They have a restaurant that is expensive. Otherwise not one I would visit again. Glad I used my Best Western points to pay for this night

I do not even know where to begin. We used to stay at this hotel a lot, 3-4 times at least per year. I gifted this stay to my mom and her friend as a thank you for something and really wanted to treat her to a place where I've had many great experiences in the past (pre-pandemic) with a great location. I booked the "Breakfast Rate" so that she did not have to worry about anything and could enjoy a breakfast in the morning with her friend. Breakfast used to be included for all but that has since changed, which I understand given that the pandemic has been very challenging to all hospitality. I called the front desk and emailed several times to confirm these details would be taken care of. My emails were ignored, but verbally I was told yes, it will be taken care of. Upon check-in, the room that they were given was AWFUL, APPALLLING, DIRTY, STINKY. They requested a change of room. Second room - same thing. They requested another change of room... 3rd room and same thing. The staff was dismissive and rude, tried to play it off with excuses. What they found cannot be described in just words but I will try.... - 1/4 inch dust. Literally THICK dust EVERYWHERE. On the counters, doors, baseboards, side tables, by the microwave... EVERYWHERE - Thick white dust border all around the baseboards. It had not been vaccuumed in MONTHS - Toothpaste smeared on the bathroom doors - A nasty greasy slime / film anywhere you touched - Splattered mirrors - Toothpaste / spit marks on the sinks / faucets - Literal hanging dust off the light fixtures In EVERY ROOM. My mom's friend had terrible allergies to the dust and dirt in the room causing her to be unable to sleep. She ask That "breakfast rate" we paid... DESPITE having WRITTEN EMAIL PROOF of the booked rate, they were denied the breakfast claiming they didn't have it in their system. After getting upset, they finally said "ok we will give you a free voucher to apologize for the room problems". It had not been FREE... I PAID FOR IT! Then upon being seated, they were given only two options... 2 pieces of toast with 2 eggs (ZERO sides) or a parfait. That's it. NO other options were allowed on the menu. It was insulting. I AGAIN called and emailed the hotel asking to speak to the general manager. I was told he'd call me back... no call. My emails were again ignored. The hotel has been run down and management is awful. Staff is rude. I am so disappointed and sad at the experience of the "gift" I gave.

tap in the bathroom is loose. bathtub so slippery, not safe for kids, you need to hold your kid's arm all the time while bathing them. Location is okay with me (quiet). Breakfast is expensive for an omelette (no free breakfast).

Been here a number of times. Though there are other hotels to choose from at the Airport, this one is quite classy and is preferred for business or leisure stays.. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated ... not sparse.. The ones with the fireplace separating the bed from livingroom area, or jetted tub and fireplace are very relaxing. The lounge is quaint and comfortable to relax in. It has good food and a pretty good selection for a small kitchen. Even has a very nice bar and great selection of wines, beers and aperitifs. Will stay there again ... many times.

Clean room, helpful staff. Noisiest hotel I've stayed in in years. It's 2:20 am and I'm listening to music from somewhere on the floor. Children running, men shouting, and endless conversations in the hallway EVERY HOUR since I arrived. Can't fathom how people don't know to be quiet in a hotel sleeping quarters after 10 pm.

This hotel has one of the better rates near the airport and can be quite popular (in fact we stayed a night but could not extend our stay). The free shuttle goes every half hour which is better then other hotels who go every hour instead. What I didn't care for at this hotel is how it looked because their color palette from the lobby to the rooms seems to be brown or dark brown so it feels dreary and cavernous (not in a good way). It also feels dated, or at least heavily used and we couldn't help but nothing that both the beds in our room had small stains on the covers.

This is my “go-to” hotel when departing from Calgary International Airport. #yyc The shuttle service is reliable, dependable and you can pay to park your car at this hotel when you are away for considerably less than Park n Jet. The pool and waterslide is family friendly and you are in very close proximity to Cross Iron Mills (mega shopping complex)

I booked this hotel as I had a morning flight out and wanted to be near the airport. They also provide parking while you're away for $7/day. Quick and efficient shuttle to the airport. The facility is new, clean and very accessible. If there's a downside, there's not many restaurants nearby. All around - a good choice.

Just returned from Calgary for a visit with family. Spent our last night at this location. This was our first time staying at a Premier and must admit, was disappointed. The front desk staff and shuttle driver were great. Easy check in. The hotel is dated and the hallway carpet wrinkled and sloppy looking. The room although clean, was dated as well with bare wood showing through the black paint on the furniture. There was also a bed night table light missing which made it difficult to read. It looked like 2 queen beds were switched for a king due to marks on the wall etc. The bathroom had a tub. Sorry we are too old to climb over a tub to have a shower. Having travelled frequently prior to Covid, I must say that I was disappointed with this location. I would rate it a regular hotel, not a premier. Won't stay here again.

My wife and I got in late around 10pm. Hungry and tired, we were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant open until 11pm. This hotel will be our go to when passing through Calgary. The close proximity to YYZ, the short shuttle bus ride to and from, the friendly driver, front desk staff, the waitress, were all very accommodating. The king bed room was very comfortable, and clean. we will certainly use this hotel again.

Conformable beds, amazing breakfast & great staff. It's my go to when I am in Calgary. If i had something bad to say about this hotel it would be that there's too many kids in the pool area when I try to go to the hot tub but that is out of everyone's control lol

I almost always stay at this hotel for any trips to Calgary. I know where it is located and where everything is around there. I do not stay anywhere else, and I do not plan to change my mind. I would recommend this location to any of my friends, family and colleagues.

Five of us stayed at the best western premier freeport inn for one night in two rooms. Front desk personnel were friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The pool is small but OK. This hotel no longer provides complementary breakfast. You can get breakfast in the Liberty lounge starting at 10am for about $20 per person. Because of the hotel location in an industrial area you will have to drive for 10 minutes or so to find a restaurant or coffee shop.

Always a great experience at the BW Freeport in Calgary. The shuttle service is quick to pick up at the airport and runs on time the next morning to go back. Check in is quick the rooms are clean and quiet and the restaurant is open late so when you get off your flight and are hungry you can grab something quick to eat.

The hotel was close to the airport, clean and well appointed. Great for an airport hotel. I did only give it a 4 as they did not have laundry bags in the rooms and there was a low and steady beeping all night. The hotel could use a few upgrades. Worth the rate.

If you need a quick stay over or a conference for your business this is the place. Best Western Freeport has incredible staff that meet your every need. Shuttle service to and from the airport make this the best destination for all those guest that need a place to stay for their business needs and the quick overnight.

We stayed here because we had just arrived from England and did not want to travel further. The check in was efficient and the room comfortable. We loved the gas fire and seating are. The room was very cold but a helpful neighbour helped us cope with that.

We were on route to Kelowna from Puerto Vallarta and could not get a air connection that was suitable. I called a couple hotels and found the the person on the front desk was friendly and answered my questions. The final reason I picked this hotel was location and the fact that they had an airport shuttle. We were not disappointed. The room was great, sleep quality great and after the flight from Puerto Vallarta, the lounge service was perfect before settling down for the night. We booked our Airport shuttle the evening we arrived, it was on time and efficient.

Bassil (spelling?) Book our reservation over the phone, he was helpful and informative. When I mentioned my grandma had a walker he said he would put us closer to the elevator so that she didn't have to walk to far, but also in a spot that wasn't going to be too noisy. He was able to answer all our questions, the rooms were nice and clean. Close to the airport which was perfect for us. With friendly staff and clean rooms you can't go wrong. I would recommend.

Stayed here for a lay over. Guy at front desk booked shuttle for wrong time to airport but I noticed him write it in the wrong spot and had to correct. My kid hid our room key which led me on a hunt. Found chocolate hearts and other candy at the top of the mattress on the box spring, and tons of it. It wasn't ours. There were other things under the bed skirt around the bed. Pretty gross and wonder how long they were there. It gets 3 stars for having a waterslide and hot tub

The staff were so helpful. It was great being able to use their shuttle service and the food in the restaurant was great. The room was very clean. It was so great I booked a return stay so I could stay there for my next layover.

I had the best hotel experience at this location, the staffs were very respectful, friendly and willing to help. The food was amazing, the rooms were neat and the guy that picked me up from the airport was so friendly. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Great hotel, staff was excellent and they were fantastic to our hockey team. 100% would come back to this hotel! Thanks for the great hospitality! Breakfast was good with a different selection each day.

Our hockey team stayed here for a tournament, and the staff were amazing and super helpful. They allowed the kids to play, and provided options to allow them to play mini sticks in safe places. We ended up making the final and needed a place to stay for the day after check out and the amazing staff provided us a room for the team to hang out in for the day after we all checked out. It's staff and provisions like this that make you stay amazing. We appreciated the gesture and we know we'll be back for our next tournament in this area!

As a BW Rewards Member, was offered an upgrade from a King room to a King suite with fireplace - extra space was appreciated. Room was spotless. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure and lots of hot water. Comfortable bed. Quick and easy access to highway to head into downtown and to the airport. Definitely staying again on future trips.

Stayed here pending an early morning flight. Room was great, we had a nice dinner and quick and efficient shuttle to the airport the next morning. Our gift cards earned for staying at Best Western made the stay very affordable!

We came here for a mini vacation and chose this hotel because of the slide and the restaurant. When we went to the pool there were 2 swim instructors teaching lessons in their small pool. I talked to the front desk and explained my displeasure with this and they told me we could move to another hotel. ☹️ We could only use about 1/4 of the pool due to these lessons which took place Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. Also the restaurant for supper is extremely over priced for the quality. I don't mind paying for a good meal but it was not good quality at all.

The hotel is well situated and easy to access. They provide free airport shuttle and free parking. Our stay was fine although there was excessive noise from neighbours at 3:00 a.m. Didn't seem worth the time to confront them or call the desk. My only issue was at checkout. I had booked over the phone and got a package that included parking for two weeks, as we were staying there the night before our trip and the night of our return. Checking out after the first night, I was told there would be an additional charge for parking for the second week. I had to explain that I was assured that would not be the case. Didn't have to pay but annoying that it became an issue.

The bed was not clean, we found a kleenex made into the bed. Not cool to find when you get into bed. Food was good, had a wait time for food because the server was very busy. Cleaning should be heightened during Covid and not remake beds, that made my family feel uncomfortable.

Stayed here in 2019 and was good but when here this time they no longer have complimentary breakfast. They don't follow Covid rules. Pool was freezing and closed for maintenance during some of stay and hot tub off. Room was freezing machine on wall only blew out freezing cold air. Our room was 17'

We were checked in here for 5 nights, checked out after one night. Horrible dirty dated place. Hair in the shower and bathroom floor, I wiped down everything. One rag from the front entrance. Really people..

Clean, modern, with all the amenities. Friendly staff. Food is good, especially the Nasi Goreng. Very quiet for being so close to the airport. Super clean, comfortable bed. Towels generally nicer than most. Great pool and hot tub.

This location is close to the Airport and Iron Mills Mall. The staff are extremely accommodating, the value is incredible and the food is as good as any restaurant in the area. The staff truly treat you as if it were home. The rooms are clean and for the price, you could not ask for anything more....and further the beds are extremely comfortable and the fourth floor has fire places.....great for a cold winters night........There is a wide selection of breakfasts in the morning and truly worth including in your room price.......all in all just a great place to stay and very affordable.

Not a good place to stay for elderly people, but probably good for business type. Make sure to book the shuttle 0.5 hr earlier than need to be at airport and food quantity good but quality was poor. Female staff was excellent.

Just needed an overnight stay in between connections and this hotel is close to the airport and the room and service was excellent! The shuttle arrived quickly and was prompt in the morning. You can have a drink and something to eat on site which is convenient.

Upon arrival at the airport, I called the hotel for shuttle pickup and it was there fairly quickly. Check in was quick and staff were all courteous and helpful. Have stayed several times at this hotel and have been happy every time. Rooms are very clean and the hotel follows excellent covid protocol which was very much appreciated.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time flying out of Calgary the next morning. What a beautiful property with a huge nicely laid out suite and a very comfortable bed as well as a fantastic restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!!!!

Went to check out and was stoped and told I was seen on camera sneaking a dog in. When I asked to view that footage because it never happened the conversation stoped and was treated rudely for the rest of the checkout period… not impressed and just wondering why they would lie about something so stupid idk what the staff gained from that.

We stayed at three different hotels this one was the cleanest by far! All amenities were working and in good repair. We used the waterslide, pool, hot tub, work out room and the Laundry room. The room had a bar fridge (the larger size with the little freezer) great when traveling with kids. The room was spacious and has an alarm clock that your USB can plug right in to nice little perk. Coffee in room and sink with small prep area, better than most. offered shelving above that we used for our few plates, cups etc. Nice set up!

The staff here is very helpful and friendly. Speed of service is always a pleasure at this location and it's generally fairly clean. I continue coming back so they must be doing something right. The prices are fair and the restaurant/lounge definitely takes care of you

I am so happy with this hotel. It was clean, staff was excellent. Tended to all our needs with kindness and efficiency. The food was great for a hotel. Im craving the nachos now. The pool was clean and the water slide was way faster and more fun then expected. My one flaw about the hotel is the parking is super tight. Specially for a full size truck

A great little hotel. I stayed in a jacuzzi suite which was brilliant. The food was good, the cleanliness perfect, and the staff wonderfully friendly and helpful. There's a pool with a waterslide and a hot tub in great condition. There's really nothing in the area around it rather than airport industrial stuff, but it is close to the airport (and I did not hear any planes the whole time). Due to COVID they were not offering lunch service while I was there. Not a big deal - you just need to plan accordingly. And the price was great - I would stay there again.

Best Western Over recent years we've stayed here several times. Our times here were always nice and the hotel always seemed to have an edge over hotels within the vicinity of the airport. This time was a little different, unfortunately. Our suggestion would be to be proactive with a maintenance program to bring each room back to an excellence - as if it were a new facility with a four-star rating. It's not there in our opinion today based what we've seen in the past. The morning breakfast at BW was once something to behold. It out classed other outside breakfast establishments. Now you pay for breakfast now which means you're competing with restaurants nearby. Outside restaurants work better now because they specialize in food service. What's happened here doesn't seem to be progress or even maintaining a standard. What used to be was a lure for this particular hotel. No longer though. We did enjoy the mattresses here. They are super nice. The bath towels are also super soft. We were rather saddened by our last visit but hope for better times ahead for your hotel.

Quiet location large rooms comfortable beds and pretty much has everything you need . Professional staff and no problems whatsoever. fitness centre and pool is more than adequate to get a workout in also. Very good hotel all-round.

Stayed in king suite for 2 nights. Room size is nice. Fireplace is a bonus. Bathroom and shower are clean and newer. The decor/furniture/ carpet are a bit outdated but doesn't effect your stay. Room service breakfast was hot and tasty and reasonably priced.

Clean room, comfortable bed, convenient location and great rate. Close to the airport. Too bad no Ev charging station is nearby and breakfast was not included. Considering staying here again in the near future.

Nice modern hotel, moderately priced, nicely appointed rooms with small fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker and safe. Hotel was easy to find from the main highway into Calgary, and parking was available. This hotel has a nice modern lounge and restaurant (also has room service). We did ask for room service and it was quickly delivered. Muchly appreciated. Check-in and Check-Out was quick. Would stay again!

Had a very comfortable stay at Best Western. Yasin especially was among their staff who ensured I was looked after well. He was courteous, helpful and quick to respond. The room, amenities, food and service was all top notch. Everything was well catered for and the staff were very well trained and capable.

Whether it's early delivery to the airport or late pick up at the airport we have fast and efficient service and in this case, Banff for a weekend, we still stay here as it's the best price around and close access to the Banff scene. We can always count on BW Freeport for a good night's sleep no matter what time we arrive.

I stayed at this hotel with my family in room 103 for 1 night on September 01st. We checked out on Sep 02nd & left my iPhone charger plugged in by the TV. Called in later in the evening of Sep 02nd to confirm that they found it so I could go pick it up but was told that the house keeping staff didn't find it and should call back again the next day. Called in again on Sep 03rd but was told that no one found the charger. How can that be? I know it's my fault in the first place but not returning the charger, come on!

Wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. The room itself was “tired” you could tell it had been heavily used (fraying carpet, loose grout in the shower etc) Also, there were private swimming lessons taking place in the hotel pool (by people not staying at the hotel)… not sure if that's a normal thing but we felt we were interrupting and the whole reason we booked this hotel was because it had a pool our kids could play in. We had a problem with our door locking. Maintenance was there right away and front desk staff came to ensure the problem was fixed. Very helpful and friendly!

We stayed here, middle of August for 3 nights. The hotel is dark, lots of brown decor but I found our room and areas around the hotel very clean. We were in a double queen. There was lots of room, good sized bathroom, and again, very clean. The pool area was very fun for the kids. However, the hotel was renting the pool to private swim lessons, so there was always an instructor or 2 with a child each, while the parents stayed to watch. It was a lot of people in a small area with hotels guests and the public together, no one distancing or wearing masks. We did not eat at the hotel, breakfast was not included, but the menu looked decent. Our stay was very quiet. We did not hear anyone above or beside. You can hear the odd plane, but it's a low noise so shouldn't bother too much. My only complaint was the bed. There was a big dip, which made for uncomfortable sleeping. The location is excellent as it's right off the highway. Very easy to get into the city, Banff or Drumheller. We would definitely stay here again (just with a different bed:)).

The big inning experience was amazing, the staff was very nice and the lobby was clean. But it seem the price went up for less. Was expecting Continental breakfast, instead I found a breakfast that was very expensive.

Stayed for 3 nights on a little vacation and it was a reminder to us not to stay at a Best Western again. Being Best Western members, we frequented staying at the dependable Best Western hotels- but have seen a decline in the care and service in the last few years. Unfortunately this was no exception. Our room did not have that professionally cleaned look - the covers of the bed did not looked tucked neatly, there was dust on surfaces, stained (blood?) on towel, fingerprints all over the windows. We found out when we got there that the usual breakfast was not included in the price, nor was there offered any breakfast grab bag. We ended up going for breakfast anyway at the restaurant there, the first morning. It was a small menu so should be simple enough to get the order correct. I ordered the yogurt parfait which comes with toast- I ordered rye. I will mention that we were the only ones at the restaurant at the time of our order. My husband got his breakfast and I got the parfait with no toast. I ate my parfait while waiting patiently for our server to come around again. With my parfait now eaten, my husband flagged someone down who was whizzing by (who we found out was the manager of the restaurant area) and my husband brought to her attention that I was still waiting on my toast and she just acknowledged with a nod and that it was on its way. We waited again several minutes and still nothing, so my husband went over by the kitchen area and let them know I was still waiting for my toast, and the response was that it was almost ready. Several minutes later I receive a plate with flattened, cold whole wheat toast which is not what I ordered in the first place. My husband went to the front desk to put in a complaint and the restaurant manager put up a tantrum, crumpling the bill and telling him he “you eat, you pay.” We have never been treated so poorly at at Best Western, as we were here, and it definitely soured our time away. We didn't complain to them about the unkempt room because usually we put up with a lot of things. But the lack of good customer service, put this over the top. We are going away for the September long weekend and guess what hotel chain we're not spending time at?

Staff is excellent. The hotel itself is in dire need of renovation. Shabby interior ( carpets, lighting,furniture, bathrooms ). No free breakfast offering (other hotels in the area did offer this during the same time frame ) Staff are working hard to keep areas clean and do an excellent job.

I have honestly never seen a best western that's as bad as this one..! I've stayed in the Vancouver hotel and had a good experience. We were going to stay only for one night, checking in late after a long drive and checking out in the morning. Booked this one Cos the rooms looked comfortable and decent. We checked in around 11pm and When we went in the bedsheets had blood stains in it which the room service said it was “Rust” and they did eventually change it and by this time it was midnight. We ordered food from the hotel which was decent but couldn't finish it all and we kept it in the fridge and went to sleep. The AC wasn't cooling down. Around 2 pm we woke up sweating and reduced the temp to as low as it would allow us and the room was still warm. We were so exhausted and we just needed some sleep and didn't have the patience to change the room. The AC didn't start cooling up until 6am!!! By the time we checked out it just touched 20degrees! Ughhhh We decided eat the leftovers for breakfast as the hotel didn't have complimentary breakfast. When we opened the fridge there was barely any cooling coming from it. The food box was wet! When we took the food out which was in a take out box there was half a glass of water inside it! And the bottom of the fridge was soaking wet..! The food obv had to be thrown out and we were beyond frustrated. We checked out and informed the front desk. They sent someone to confirm the repairs and then as an apology they waived the room fee.

I booked a quarantine stay at the hotel. However as the rules changed I no longer needed the reservation. After discussing this with the helpful Hotel manager they were able to offer a partial refund for my reservation.

I stayed here with my husband and son the night before our first "post-COVID" flight. Everything was great. Our beds were comfy. The room had a mini fridge and microwave. The pool was fun as it had a waterslide and best of all it was nice and warm. Most hotel pools are too cold for our liking. We would stay again just for the warm pool alone. Shuttle to the airport and long term parking were easy to arrange and worked well. The ride to the airport was very quick. The only somewhat downside is the location. Although very close to the airport there is not much else around (e.g. restaurants). There is a restaurant in the hotel but the menu is limited.

I was required to book a three night quarantine stay at the hotel. The rules changed and I was no longer required to quarantine. However I was still charged in full by the hotel for services that they did not provide. There was no option for a cancellation charge. No one from the hotel made contact. Very poor customer service

Excellent hotel to take the family on a Calgary/Banff getaway. Nice pool and slide, quiet area, nice rooms/ lobby, safe surrounding area. Just makes sure you watch your room selection as to whether breakfast is included.

It is mandatory to book 3 nights on the hotel for quarantine. Usually you can leave the next day if you get negative test.... Not giving back any money if you can leave early is a scam..... Shame on you.

Had an excellent stay here, and wanted to highlight the excellent service of the hotel manager, who went far above and beyond. Long story, but overall, this stay was a huge wow! I highly recommend to all.

Spent 1 night in one of the King Jacuzzi Suites at this Best Western. This hotel is near YYC Airport in Calgary, but there is not much aircraft noise. Room had a spacious bathroom with a rain shower, as well as a mini fridge, microwave, A/C, and a comfortable Jacuzzi Tub for 2. There's plenty of parking close to the entrance, which is good because a car is necessary as this part of NE Calgary is a bit remote. Unfortunately their pool was closed so couldn't try it out. In the morning, we tried to order room service breakfast but there was a mix-up/breakdown in trying to contact the restaurant. If a few of these small issues are fixed, this would be a great jetted tub getaway.

We stayed for mandatory quarantine stay when we arrived Calgary. Their staff was very helpful in every way, the food was reasonable and if you requested any other food they fully accommodated. Check in and check was easy. They took good care of us and the front desk was always available anytime for any sort of help and questions.

The pool was closed which was not disclosed to us until after we had checked in. The room did not come with “complimentary” mini bar as stated. At least the service and food in the restaurant was exemplary.

The overall cleanliness and comfortability of the room was above average. However, We booked with this specific hotel as we understood from the website that the swimming pool was operable & available to clientele, as well as that breakfast, Grab & Go at the least, was complimentary. However, Non of this was the case when we arrived, and I found the staff quite rude and less inclined to help simply because we were dressed in casual attire. Compensation, given the price our King Jacuzzi room per night, should've been offered due to the pool closure and lack of breakfast inclusion, should have been offered as a thank you for our business. Additionally, I was appalled that the name of the "server" on our breakfast ticket was that of the manager. If I am to tip, I 100% expect it to go to the server, who also happened to be the cleaner, and head chef, given that she was running around exhaustedly, and not the manager trying to collect all the tips. I do not intend to stay here again, nor would I recommend it for the price.

Cheapest option, food was basic nothing special. Spend there one night and was charged more than I was told on the airport. Place was clean but dated. Glad it was just one night. Staff was friendly, tho.

The restaurant staff was extraordinarily understanding and accomodating, friendly and warm. I have a host of food allergies that make me one of the most troublesome guests to have, and they didn't once make me feel like an inconvenience. I have traveled extensively across Canada, Europe, and Australia, and I have never had a hotel restaurant experience that was as exceptional as this one. Feeling like a valued customer has left me with a pleasant feeling overall, and I would stay here again for that reason. Thank YOU!!!

The staff was nice and room was clean, however paying 515$ for less than 12 hrs stay is not justified. Food was not the greatest quality and tough I understand the tough times the industry is going through and I feel for the staff, either provide services at the level of the price or refund the unused services.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Despite this challenging pandemic, staff were able to provide an enjoyable stay. I booked a GAA rate double queen room which includes a full board service (9 meals as per quarantine package). Breakfast bag was standard but still acceptable.

I always love my stay at best western and can't wait for the covid ending part because my kids enjoy breakfast there, during our stay. Their favourite part is making fresh waffles. Also amazing service and clean rooms.

This Best Western charged for meals and gratuities on meals that were not received. Other hotels providing quarantine services provided refunds for nights not utilized and meals not provided. Do not use this hotel - they are only focused on revenue.

Good value. Clean. Good service. Located near the airport, so if you're looking to stay close to dt this wouldn't be your ideal choice. Otherwise, this hotel has everything you need. Shuttle available to and from the airport.

From the minute I checked in the staff were more than accomodating. I was travelling with my baby son for the mandatory quarantine. The woman that checked me in assisted me to my room with all the luggage (it was a lot!). When I asked if I could have a highchair for my son, she said it wasn't a problem. Once in my room I discovered that there wasn't a crib set up. It was promptly delivered to the room within 5 minutes of calling. The breakfast was just ok but the lunch and dinner provided were delicious. I am an administrator for a quarentine hotel Facebook group and I will be definitely recommending this hotel to the 27+ thousand members.

Disappointed I was forced to pay for 3 nights received my results in 13 hours no reimbursement for at least 1 night. Was not even up for discussion would be nice to see more hotels support guests in this situation. A number of hotels are starting to reimburse 1 night or food credit.

Our stay at the Best Western Premier Inn was enjoyable. The noise level was good during the entire stay. The service people were calm and did not take any concerns or inquiries as a disturbance and were very professional.

Great stay for 21 hours and 4 meals but forced to pay for 3 nights including 12 meals plus gratuities with no refund of any kind offered for early check-out after negative COVID results. This will be.our last say at any Best Western facilty

My stay was a 3 day government mandate. Kim, the manager, is exceptional. She is very accomodating to customer special requests. Also, the Chef's soup arrived hot and delicious. This hotel was excellent value and did not gouge you compared to others on the list. My stay ended up one night only. Treated well and felt very comfortable.

I stayed here because of the gov't hotel requirements. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and provide everything we needed. The room was well stocked and very comfortable. The food was delicious and plentiful.

We were forced to stay in a hotel and as luck would have it we chose the BW. It was absolutely the right choice. The room was well equipped and comfortable. A table would have been nice as all our meals were in the room, but otherwise it was just fine. The meals were absolutely acceptable and we were allows some choices, unlike other hotels. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of, including fresh air time. I gave a lower score for value as we had to pay the full three nights including meals but only stayed one full day and 2 nights.

With the mandatory travel and three day hotel quarantine in place, our choice to stay at the BW proved to be the right one. The rooms were great; room service accommodating; and the front desk cheerful and helpful. And the staff were there to help decrypt the encrypted covid test results that, heaven help us, were an example of how not to make travel easier. The governments really dropped the ball on this. Served it purpose as a quarantine stay, close to airport. Shuttle upon checkout back to airport for rental car. Clean. Food was just ok. Bed was a bit sloopy. Towels were fluffy. Clock did not work. the lady who took our booking over the phone was excellent.

This hotel did a great job making our hotel quarantine pleasant. The food was very good and any requests were handled efficiently. We had an early check out and our breakfast was brought to our room earlier than requested. At checkout they asked if we would like lunch to go....and brought us a very nice lunch. This was a very nice experience for us. We have stayed at this hotel at other times and will definitely stay here again,

Staff on the reception is very accommodating, amenities are great, the room is clean and has all I can come up with requiring, including microwave, coffee/tea, safe, fridge, TV, the restaurant food is great and delivered to the room, the laundry is available, everything is above expectations.

Bed was comfortable. Had kitchenette with microwave, sink, and fridge, very nice to have! Meals were good and delivered hot. If we needed anything, we just called and it came! Just had to let front desk know when we were going outside for fresh air. Great to have room service!

Upon our return from the USA we stayed at the Best Western in Calgary. Due to testing at the airport it took 4 hours to reach the hotel. They were ready, staff were.still there to prepare and deliver supper to our rooms. The meals were large and very good. I would stay again, it would be nice to try the restaurant in a normal setting. Pay the extra money and go to hotel with food that is decent. Other than that the place was ok. Not great but ok. Room cleaniness was also average and some interiors loke the door had waterdamage. Worth the extra money to stay else where

Had to quarantine on my return from Luxembourg. Was really worried based on everything I had read about ‘quarantine hotels'. This hotel was so far from what I heard. They were great. My family had a package sent up to put in the room and it was delivered by the GM. The food was outstanding (curried chicken my favorite) and plentiful. 3 squares a day with lots of fruit and water as well. Was never hungry or wanting more. Check in and check out was a breeze. And they picked me up at the airport. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone traveling.

Great place, well placed at the YYC airport, staff went out of their way to make our visit(s) work, very quiet, in the past the restaurant has been well above average, the front desk make check in and checkout a breeze, we will continue to stay

Went here for 1 night. The hotel was very clean. The layout of the hotel was really nice. Rooms were well done and very clean. Fireplace was a nice touch in the room we were in. I would recommend this hotel.

What makes this a premium hotel? The decor was okay as were the amenities. Perhaps my expectations were too high. We had a problem with dirty bedding. The front desk staff including the manager were fabulous!

We extended our stay for over a week and were very satisfied with our accommodations. Due to covid, we didn't request room service on a daily basis but when our room was serviced; the housekeeping staff did a great job. The housekeeping staff were overall very helpful daily with accommodating us with the stuff we required. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. Matthew was super helpful at the time of booking and provided us with all the information we needed. The coffee at the hotel was the best; gave us a fresh start every morning!

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel stay. Reception was friendly and quick - room was clean and comfortable - king bed was very comfortable. Nice to have a fireplace on for awhile. Room was on the 4th floor and very quiet.

This wonderful hotel is very near YYC and has an airport shuttle. It is an inexpensive alternative to older, more-established hotels in the area The staff are very pleasant and helpful Food and drink are available on-site. (COVID 19 restrictions in effect)

Very clean , affordable and accommodating. We now come to Calgary once a month for a couple days to see our grandson. So was important for us to find something close to him. And something very affordable, clean and comfortable. We drive to Calgary and it's wonderful after a long day to be able to settle in for a good sleep in a clean comfortable space.

This is the right hotel for to relax, meet with group of people and be comfortably certified. I am very sure that you will love it by the time give it a try. I told them that this would be my primary hotel whenever I needed to be away from home

Reception was 24hrs but called severally at 3am because of large noise, no answer and no call back. No hand sanitizer In room. My breakfast had bacon after I told them I didn't want that. I didn't have a great time and I won't be using this hotel in the future.

Felt quite comfortable staying here during Covid. The hotel and room were clean and precautions were in place. Beds are very comfortable. We stay at this location several times a year and I noticed some of the furniture in our room needs to be replaced as it is looking old and worn (footstool, lamp).

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days with my sister in February. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the amenities were good. The restaurant was pretty decent and had an omelet station for the breakfast, which was not free, but good value for the money.

Close to the airport but not over the flight path. Hands down...the best King room with en-suite jacuzzi In Calgary that you can soak in and watch tv. The front desk manager was extremely friendly, helpful and as im a frequent guest, offered me a bit of a discount on the room as well as greeted me by name each time I spoke with him in person. I look forward to returning next month.

We're new to Best Western and usually only stay in Hilton properties. We were on a 2 week roadtrip across BC & Alberta and wanted to try something different so we status matched our status from Hilton to Best Western and received Diamond status with BW. After a great stay at the BW Plus in Hinton, AB, we wanted to compare their Plus and Premier brands. Being rated a 4-star hotel, we had expectations. We stayed in 7 different properties in a 14 day span and this was easily the worst one. The building itself looks great from the outside. Upon entering, you quickly realize how somber and depressing the atmosphere is. Everything is so dark and poorly lit in this place. Service from the front desk at check-in was great. We were upgraded to the King Suite - great start. Upon entering the room is where things went downhill. There was a drawer below the TV that would continuously slide open and wouldn't stay shut. It isn't possible that the housekeeper or anyone else didn't notice this and want to fix it - they just don't care here. Among other issues in the room were crayon markings on lampshades, crumbs and pieces of food in the air conditioning filter, a dirty microwave, and tears in sofa. The in-room safe was out of battery. 2 out of 4 lightbulbs in the bathroom didn't work resulting in even more poor lighting. On the back of the bathroom door, you can see where the hook where you'd place your towels was literally ripped out. There was still super glue residue on the door. I am utterly convinced that the staff see these things and just don't care - it starts from the top. The shower door and everything around it was disgusting. The room was extremely tired, dated, and desperately needs a deep clean. There's no reason why these things should go unchecked in a "4 star hotel". To add to the fun, though they require guests to wear facemasks, the staff don't. I saw one member of the front desk staff and 2 housekeepers walking around mask-less. Aren't we in a pandemic? Because of all the issues mentioned above, we didn't even stay a second night. We left to another hotel. We didn't feel clean here. I will say that the service given to me by the supervisor when we checked out was fantastic. After I gave her the list of issues mentioned above, she didn't charge us for what was supposed to be the second night. This was appreciated. She might be the reason why we'd consider staying at a Best Western property in the future but wow was this ever terrible.

We love staying at best westerns but we were very disapointed with our stay last night. The beds were awful, not enough towels for the amount of people staying in the room, same for coffer and cups, toilet was not cleaned at was dirty, plugs are not in the best placements in the room, the lights were too dim in the room. This hotel was not worth the money and we will not be staying here again.

The people at Best Western are courteous, kind, and friendly. The service shuttle to and from the airport is quick and efficient. The hotel is north of the airport and makes it a little far from downtown, but still it is easily accessible with the shuttle service or by train because the station is not too far.

My flight was redirected and I had to stay in Calgary overnight. The shuttle driver was very nice and very interactive. It was nice to see people that enjoy their work. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, making my short stay enjoyable.

I stayed there with my wife and infant daughter on Aug 5 for two nights. Nice hotel far off from the busy city. The room was fairly clean. Housekeeping team did a great job, especially on the second day we were surprised when we came back to our room after a hectic day city tour. However, extremely poor guest service! We drove all the way from Kamloops BC to Calgary literally a 10 hours drive including breaks. We arrived at around 11:50 pm at night . My wife and baby were standing in the front lobby while I was unloading our stuffs from the car. Not a single Hi or Greeting was given to us from the night audit, of course he seemed quite busy with his phone. Same goes with the front desk person the next morning, he never says morning or hi, just nodded the head. Is this what you expect from a hotel front desk? Next evening Night Audit Mr. Atul was friendly and helpful but then again the next person on the shift was an absolute disappointment.

We stayed saturday night in room 319. It faces the street and airport view, you can see planes arriving. The hotel is easy enough to find and plenty of parking it is in the industrial area with dealerships all around and a tim hortons less than 5 mins away. Front desk quiet so had to ding the bell Emily came and she was very friendly helpful and cheery. quick check in. Elevator next to front desk. There is a lounge there it was not open until 6. Room well appointed but was missing faceclothes and kleenex. Not an issue for us but some might have been upset. comfortable bed 4 pillows so perfect. A chair and desk and chair. Good shower with pressure. Coffee maker for 2. bar fridge and sink and a safe as well. I was impressed with the cleaniliess. Not impressed by the guy that decided to ditch all his skip the dishes empty containers at the elevator garbage as it spilt all over, poor housekeeping would have to clean up after him. Hand sanitizer available at lobby. Keep up the positive friendly attitude Emily. Thank you

Checkin and checkout were looked after very quickly and room was clean and comfortable and well priced. No Breakfast buffet due to Covid which was too bad as last time it was fabulous. Our hotel of choice in Calgary so we'll be back!

Stayed in a King room with a 3-face glassed-in fireplace, which was mounted in a stone wall, and separated the bed from the sitting area. Very cozy... and it put out a lot of heat and ambience. Only negative was the remote for the TV. No instructions around, and it was very basic control. I had to call front desk on how to use it. Then it was push 2 to get the scrolling guide, and remember what channel we wanted to view. If not what we liked, it was back to the scrolling guide again. This put a shadow on all of the other great features of the room and hotel ... the room spaciousness and the lounge/restaurant.. When I stated this to the reception clerk at morning check out, she said ..."was it a white one?" So apparently they have different cable access using the black remotes, as at the other BWs we booked that week in BC and AB, which have more viewing control. Just something to ask them about when you are booking if that matters to you.

We have stayed here before. A bit different during the pandemic, but overall just fine. Service is always good. Room was clean and comfortable. location is close to airport and Deerfoot trail to get anywhere you like.

Nice clean room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. There were numerous choices which included made to order omelettes all served on china plates with real knives, forks and spoons (no plastic). We chose this hotel for the first night of our trip as it is close to the airport having just arrived from the UK.

What a good hotel. I arrived late after long flights from Glasgow. Courtesy bus picked me up even after 10pm. Reception staff were very obliging and allowed me to keep my room on next day until my son in law picked me up at 4.30pm. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately breakfast was in a bag but this was due to Covid 19 and safety first. I could not fault good customer service and a lovely room. Well worth the money.

Manager and her staff were excellent. Easy check in. Great food service. Room clean and well furnished. Shuttle service well done. Pick up and drop off right on schedule. Good location just minutes north of airport.

We were looking for place to stay during renovation of our house. This place was the best deal for the money. Rooms are big enough to stay with 2 kids, swimming pool with a waterslide and good breakfast. Stuff is very friendly and since we spent more then one week they getting to know my kids.Lots of small things here and there makes stay even better. I can see they care about visitors. We spent few days in different hotel in Calgary /next to my kids school/ but it was more expensive and not as good, so we went back to Best Western. Thank all the stuff for hard work and care.

We used to love this place. Things have gone downhill though. The many times I have stayed here before when flying they have always asked us if we would be leaving our truck during my trip so my assumption was that you could leave your car there while you were away. Upon check in the girl let us know that that was impossible as we would have to book ahead for our truck to stay there. She was quite rude about it. She then did give us a park and fly number outside of the hotel we could use. We needed a place to leave our bag and coats ( we were going to store them in the truck). She said no problem they always keep bags there ( we were going to be staying there again at the tail end of our trip ) So we left a bag/coats there while we were away. When we returned we wanted our coats ( we are smokers and It was cold out ) but they lost it for over 12 hrs, finally found it the next morning when I was asking if I needed to call the police or what my next course of action would be ,but all our items were gone through and dumped in a black garbage bag. Manager did refund us for the evening of no sleep and stress we had as we were worried about what we would do if our items were gone. It seems the front end staff have no idea about proper protocols. We won't stay again and this used to be our fav place.

This was my second stay at BWP Freeport Inn. There will definitely be a third and more stays in my future. Excellent service from the staff, clean and comfortable room, and a wonderful restaurant with exceptional food! The free shuttle to and from the airport is greatly appreciated.

Booked one room one night through Hotwire for an overnight connector while on vacation. Most important - bed was very comfortable for this level of hotel. Shuttle and driver were very helpful and convenient. Breakfast was $9 for buffet but when I got there everything was gone - 730am...so I recommend either getting their earlier or go somewhere else. Mgmt did not charge me for the coffee I had. Since it was hotwire I was put on the ground floor but the room what quiet safe and comfortable so I have no complaints their. However when I randomly googled for a last minute room I found a room for $64 that day for this hotel, whilst I used hotwire 5 months earlier and paid $110. So dont bother booking in advance unless the extra money is worth the piece of mind

Being there on a very short business trip, we had nothing to complain about: Big rooms, clean, good breakfast. We had no time to hit the gym or the pool, so this will be a matter of the next recension. The staff is very friendly, just sometimes a little slow in the reception - coming from an Intercontinental flight and being tired you feel that a little bit more than usual. Still, good hotel and i am definitely coming back on the next business trip.

I found this hotel to be in a perfect location for my needs. Located very close to both Deerfoot and Country Hills Blvd. made this a snap to get anywhere in Calgary in record time. It is in an industrial area so is very quiet. Despite the airport being just south of the hotel I only heard the planes once and this was during the day. The hotel itself is fairly new and is nicely organized. It has a pool with a water slide and a nice gym if you want to stay active inside. My room was sizeable and very clean. It was cleaned everyday that I was there. The hallways were clean and free of any obstacles as were the stairways.

Great hotel the staff makes you feel at home and makes you feel like you are really welcome, the meals we had at the restaurant were delicious, the room with the fireplace was amazing and was the perfect start to our vacation. Having the shuttle to the airport and back, the reasonable parking fee and knowing there isn't a long way to handle luggage to and from the parking area gave us a lot less stress.

Well appointed hotel close to the airport with knowledgeable, friendly staff. There is a free shuttle that runs 24/7. The restaurant is amazing, with delicious food ranging from hamburgers, butter chicken, lamb to steak !!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The facility is quiet and the staff are friendly. The food service is bit overpriced, if you are staying with children and not on an expense account. Shuttle service to airport is very good.

Stayed here a number of times. Always clean. Friendly staff and good breakfast. The only issue is the room temperature is difficult to control in winter. I like it cooler to sleep. Even with turning on the air conditioning it was warm.

I live an hour and a half away so when I have to go to Calgary it is usually best to stay here for a few days as it is like a home away from home. You may see people point out there is a $8.99 breakfast charge although I believe some room rates are higher but include it. I'll put their breakfast up against any hotel you will ever stay at with a breakfast included. There is an omelette bar as well as lots of tables so it has never been an issue to get a seat. The rooms are spotless and the staff incredible. I just booked in for another 2 night stay although where I visit is right across the city. If you are looking for an hotel close to the airport this one is a two minute drive. Enjoy!

Overall the room is great, the service was great, the pool was great, and the slide was great. The hotel and room were very clean and spacious. Only draw back was breakfast is not included likes most best westerns. The pool washroom could have been a little more clean

our family of 3 checked in with another couple and child who was celebrating their wedding anniversary on the eve of NY..overall, our experience was excellent ranging from the moment we checked in(Shandra was a delight to deal with), to our well appointed rooms, to the Liberty Lounge( exceptional service by Gabi) where food was delicious and reasonable, and a great where the kids enjoyed the slide and adults enjoyed the hot tub.Definitely, will be back either to eat at LL or spend a night or two for special occasion.

Terrible Check in. Fought us about the Breakfast Vouchers that we booked. Gave us keys to an occupied room at 11:00pm. Breakfast was good. The staff was helpful for breakfast and were very tidy. Good Omlettes.

Spent some Christmas days in this hotel with the grands. Well laid out with great pool, hot tub, great breakfast. Room, bed and pillows are clean, quiet and comfortable. Hotel was full and we had no problems. Price was very reasonable and staff were very accommodating. I will be back for sure. Nice location as well. Highly recommended.

I had awesome friendly check-in and staff were very friendly, thanks to them. At night around mid night someone was screaming and banging on wall or bed for periodic times. I was with my wife and a child. We were kept waking up. I was in room 425. That person I believe were in room 427.

We stayed at the hotel for one night in December '19, the room was clean and quiet. The staff were all friendly the check in/out was efficient. The breakfast is amazing value. We will stay at the hotel again in the new year.

Very nice hotel. We parked our vehicle for the week and it was a reasonable price. The breakfast was good, would be nice if was included, but the price was reasonable. Beds were comfortable. Rooms well decorated.

Decided on this hotel after a day of Xmas shopping. Check in was fast and efficient as well as the check out. Rooms were clean and tidy. Nothing out of place in the room and no plastic cups. There were real coffee cups which was a plus. The staff were efficient and prompt. No real problems at all for the stay.

A very nice hotel for a weary traveller at the end of a long trip!. My room was on the ground floor and was quiet, clean and super comfortable. The shuttle pickup from YYC was prompt. I would come here again before or after travel. A minor suggestion is the need to have more fruit available for breakfast and to have real milk instead of artificial whitener for tea and coffee making in the room.

This was a really nice property close to the airport and important roadways. The lounge dining area was really nice and the meeting rooms perfect. My guestroom was very nice and the bed was most comfortable. The amenities were well thought out and I will stay again

Stayed here the night before my early morning flight at the Calgary International airport. Great hotel and awesome service. I took their free shuttle bus from the airport as well as to the airport the next morning. My flight was super early in the morning so I took the shuttle at around 4am in the morning. Service was exceptional and knowing that I was not able to enjoy my complimentary breakfast, they even packed me a to-go bag with a croissant and juice and a snack. Super impressive and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Airport business hotel in the middle of industrial area. The pool was under maintainence thats the only downturn,they offered us to neighbour hotel but its too much hazzle with 2 kids, other than that it was a good hotel, really modern room with comfy bed.

The hotel was chosen due to it's reasonable price. What a pleasant surprise to find that it was an excellent place to stay as well. The room was exceptionally clean and very livable. Everything about the hotel was new, clean, well kept and all staff were right on the ball and friendly. This all topped off with close proximity to the airport and major city traffic routes. A great place to stay. Next time I am in Calgary, I know where I will be staying.

We loved this hotel and would definitely book here again when visiting Calgary. Staff was friendly, check-in was fast and room was great. No problems at all. Our grandchildren loved the waterslide, pool and hot tub. Restaurant food was good, servers friendly and the complimentary glass of wine and appies on Wednesday was a surprise. Close to the airport for those travelling by plane.

This hotel has everything and more. It is clean, modern and the staff is very professional and friendly. Both the restaurant and lounge were great. The location is so convenient to the airport and just minutes away from anything you could need. This will be my choice every time I am in Calgary.

This hotel is closer to the airport terminal than you'd think - it was only a 7 minute shuttle ride there. We liked the decor, and all the staff we met were very friendly. Our spacious room had a fireplace, which we initially thought was nice, it being cold and blustery outside. BUT, we later realized the fireplace overheats the room quickly, and it was hard to cool it down. We found the bed a bit hard, and pillows in even harder - one of us chose to not use one, it was so hard. We did use the pool and hot-tub, although the pool water was a touch murky, and the sides of the hot-tub could have been cleaner.

I like the location of this place that is close to the Calgary airport with shuttle service and restaurant in the property, fitness center and a indoor pool, very quiet and the rooms were spacious and clean.

We stayed on our daughters birthday. When we checked in,front staff sang “happy birthday”to her and let her pick some treat. Same as when we checked out,another staff and breakfast staff greeted her,they all made her so happy :) My husband arrived midnight and bar was about to close,but the lady let open a little longer for him. We really appreciated all your service. The room was clean enough but need to be vacuuming more but above all we are very happy to stay there!

My sisters and I stayed here with my 8-month-old niece while visiting family. We were quickly provided a crib, and they even helped us find batteries for the recently purchased white noise machine we got for the baby. Shanda in particular was very sweet and accommodating to us throughout our stay, and we really appreciated her smiling face, remembering who we were, and the colourful flowers she wore in her hair every day. Shanda is a fantastic asset to your property and she made our stay feel special. The housekeeping staff was also helpful, never giving us grief when we were purposely laying low while my niece was napping, taking care of the other rooms on the floor until we were ready to leave for the day. The room was clean, comfortable, had plenty of storage, and the kitchenette was perfect for our baby needs. There was some airport noise, but that definitely couldn't have been avoided, and it wasn't bothersome at all. My sisters made use of the breakfast and the business center, and I believe both were adequate to their needs. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, gym, or guest laundry, but we appreciated that they were there. Overall, it was a perfect stay for us.

I stay about 90 nights a year in hotels and this is my favourite. I was at a function near Canada Olympic Park which is about 20 minutes away from here so I pass a lot of hotels on my way but this hotel is that good that I stay here! The service and hotel are top notch. The breakfast is $8.99 but includes a fabulous omelette cooked to your own ingredient choice. Highly recommend this hotel!

I tried the Freeport on an overnight in Calgary on my way home. This was a great find. You can stay at other hotels right in the airport but for the savings I would recommend the Freeport. The shuttle arrived almost immediately after I called from the airport. I was at the hotel in minutes. My room though on the first floor was quiet. I enjoyed my meal from the lobby restaurant and all the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I will stay here again.

First off, the BW Freeport Inn is close enough to the airport for it to be very convenient - at most this is a 10 minute drive, and it's a real straight easy route on quiet roads for anyone not familiar with Calgary. But, it's also not right on top of the airport so any plane noise is muted, plus Calgary isn't exactly the busiest airport in the world so you won't be bothered with loads of noise when you're trying to sleep. The public areas of the hotel are great - there's a large breakfast area / bar just behind the lobby, which is also open for meals in the evening. The breakfast is great with a good selection of coffees/teas/cereals/juice/fruits, cooked items such as bacon, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, plus waffles, pastries etc, and this is good value (I think $6.99). The staff at breakfast are also friendly and helpful. At dinner there's a real good choice of menu items - I had beef stir fry which was excellent. I didn't get time to use the pool or gym but both looked good. The bedroom itself was fine: clean and comfortable, you can just about see the mountains in the far distance, and there was a small kitchen area with basin, fridge, microwave and coffee maker: so it's good that you don't get the fridge noise right next to the bed. There was a writing desk and a separate arm chair so plenty of room to relax. The bathroom was great: a light-up shaving/make-up mirror, loads of clean white fluffy towels, lots of little bottles of toiletries and the shower temperature and pressure was good. Wifi was also great. The only two slight downsides are that (1) the rooms are very dark: beige wall paper, chocolate brown paintwork and carpets, though this is good for sleeping, and (2) I think there's a faint smoke smell lingering in the rooms and corridors possibly from when smoking was permitted, but this is faint / minor. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you a late flight into Calgary and want someone close to stay whilst you get your bearings, or if you have any early flight and need to get the airport quickly early: they also have an airport shuttle. NB. The hotel is located in a quiet industrial are, so there's nothing else around to pop out to.

This hotel is lovely and located close to the Calgary airport. They made such a mess of our reservations blaming their computer system. It took 40 minutes to check in. We stayed for 2 nights but they gave us a bill and questioned why we were not leaving. Does the front desk not talk to the cleaning staff. They overcharged us for our stay. One night was booked through reservations.com and both rooms were paid for in advance. We decided to stay longer and made the other reservation directly with the hotel. They overcharged us, could not understand that we had paid. Ultimately I had to contact reservations.com and they called the hotel giving them the information and confirmation numbers. The hotel still charged us again for the paid room. Unbelievable how this hotel messed up our stay so badly. We will never stay her again. There are other hotels just as close to the airport. I would not recommend staying here.

This hotel has it all. Quick access to the airport, clean rooms, great dining, and some of the best staff I have ever interacted with. This was convenient and relaxed, largely due to the people who work here.

We stayed here for 6 nights in September 2019 so that we could visit family and friends in Calgary. We found the staff most professional, customer oriented, and very willing to make your stay enjoyable. There is a charge for the breakfast, but it was worth the nominal price. There are two elevators, which is important if you are in a hotel that caters to busloads of people arriving at once, we didn't notice it here. We had dinner in the lounge a couple of nights and it was very reasonable - we enjoyed the caesar salad, the steak sandwich and the chicken fingers. The swimming pool and slide was a nice amenity for my grandson to use. There is lots of parking, so little chance of getting door dings. We have no complaints only praise.

I travel all over US and now Canada and this is the 2nd best breakfast. China plates and real knives and forks! Individually cooked omelettes. Room pleasant and sizeable. Location not central so vehicle is required Staff helpful

3 sisters look forward to this weekend away from the normal daily routines at home! Started out a bit disappointing as we had been shopping @ Cross Iron Mills & we're tired & just wanted to get to our room, put our feet up & enjoy a glass of wine! The room wasn't ready so waiting being the last thing we were expecting caught us off guard. First time this has ever happened to us w/a BW & it could of been handled better?!

We have stayed at this hotel a lot when going to Calgary. This will be our last stay as the planes were too noisy this time. The bed we had was broken and the fridge was way to noisy for sleeping. We have always picked Best Western to stay at for the breakfast option but now you have to pay for breakfast. Thankfully I booked the room before they made changes.

Our experience was good, we stayed just 1 night spending some extra time in Calgary after coming back from a int.trip. Quiet rooms for a good sleep, clean beds and lots of channels on the TV, a swimmingpool to relieve some stress and to wake up with a swim in the morning before you go for a great breakfast-buffet in the hotel's restaurant. Breakfast is way better than in alot of other hotels, service is great. Only downside was that we already got the bill on the table before we even started our breakfast. We found that a little odd, since they can add it to ur room when checking out. But other than that, great hotel and we will be back!

The hotel in general was very clean. Our room was large and comfortable. Decor was updated. The restaurant food was very good. The service was friendly. The hotel is very close to the airport and the shuttle was excellent.

When ever we go to calagary this is the hotel we always try to stay at. The service is amazing food in the restaurant is good. Its in a quite area close to the highway and airport. Great value for the hotel

Requested early check-in for 2:30 and didn't get keys until almost 4:00 so we missed appointment. Rooms were clean but required making beds. Breakfast was very good. Rates quoted and emailed were not honored.

We have stayed here before a few years ago. There has some been some wear and tear on the hotel since that time. The one elevator I wasn't sure was going to get us to the floor. The pool was out of towels and the slide is worn out from the water. The room was ok but it was a very hot day and the heat was on, it took a long time for the temperature to come down, and it never really got cool. The breakfast wasn't a extra charge before, but now is, which is too bad. I am sure people eat 9$ worth of food easily but not me. The room was clean, beds were ok. Lots of different pillows to choose from. Room noise is so so, not bad but not great either. You can hear housekeeping and other people in their rooms.

very nice hotel but our room had no view and they don't have a breakfast. I found the location a bit hard to find but once I did find it , navigating in the area was easy.Check in and out was very easy.

Best Western hotels are the only hotels I'll stay in! Always clean and great service and price. Love the breakfast area and pools.. rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. Staff are always very friendly..

Staff at this hotel are extremely helpful and accommodating. Shuttle service to the airport are very convenient. Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable. Very happy with our stay here and will use it again if visit Calgary again.

Cheerful welcome is always a positive sign at any hotel and we sure got that. The room was large , well thought out , and pleasant to be in. The bar was limited to only bottled or canned beer , but the cheerful girls behind the bar made up for this . Food very nice too.

We arrived during the Calgary Stampede and the hotel was fully book and busy but as busy as they were the staff were always willing to help and answer your questions. We had a fast check in and the room was a good size and clean. We would stay there again.

It's a convenient location to visit Calgary Zoo and Banff. A nice and clean place with friendly staff. Breakfast was included in our stay, with both hot and cold choices. There is a swimming pool but we didn't have time to use it. Good for the family trip

Very friendly, professional, and helpful staff. Room is crisp and clean. If you forget some toiletries they will provide. Two complimentary water bottles is a simple and nice touch. The pool is nice and has a family friendly water slide. The hot tub was hot. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful with breads, cereals, make your own porridge, have a personalized omlet made....

This location was perfect. I stayed here for 4 nights while travelling to Banff and Lake Louise and Drumheller. The location is near the highway and surround by Tim Hortons. We stayed in a Jacuzzi hot tub with jets. It was amazing. The Hotel is super clean and staff are very helpful and nice! We never used any of the amenities or ate breakfast there. Tons of parking spaces! I didn't hear the planes either!

I can honestly say I have never stayed in a hotel whose staff from management on down were so accomodating to their customers. From the moment I arrived from the United States, Basil and Ragan (I believe I spelled it correctly) at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. I was a tad leary of staying literally 1-1/2 miles from the airport because of the noise but obviously this BW was built with the noise level in mind. Oh sure every now and then you'll hear a plane fly over but those kinds of things don't bother me. I stayed in Room 211 for five (5) nights the first go round and then came back later that week and stayed for another two (2) nights. All in Room 211, a nice king size room. If I have to complain about anything it's that the bathroom is smaller than most but it was neat & clean as was the entire hotel. I know some people complain about no free breakfast but if you are a Rewards Member you mostly get breakfast included or you can buy the "Bed & Breakfast" rate and it's barely much at all. I dropped my rental car off the night before my early flight so I didn't have to deal with it in the morning and their shuttle driver, Harry came and picked us up and brought us back to the hotel and then we were able to get the shuttle again at 5 a.m. Sadly I do not remember his name (it was early ok) but he too was super accomodating! I will definitely stay at the BW Premier Freeport Inn in Calgary if I get to visit again. Super location too. About 1-1/2 hour drive to Banff and even closer to many other attractions. Oh wait, I forgot to mention just how GOOD the food was in their on site restaurant!! Breakfast ladies were outstanding too. We had so much fun getting to know everyone. Thanks.

We wanted to be close to the airport for our flight the next morning and it turned out to be a surprisingly pleasurable experience. We even had the grandkids over to swim in the slide pool for a while. We took advantage of the shuttle service which reduced the stress of returning the car rental and making the flight on time. We were checked in and ready for our flight early allowing us to have a leisurely coffee before our flight. Good experience.

We just stayed at this hotel in July for 5 days. I have to say this is the first hotel in Canada we had been treated like family. The breakfast was good for the price we paid, room was clean. Yasin and Shanda at the front desk spoiled our daughter so much lol. They also recommend us places to go. I also want to thank Helen for being soo nice to our daughter. The only reason I gave 4 stars is bc bedding is dated. But I definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Can't wait to go back :)

Be aware: this location does not have free breakfast. The room is fine. The location is good and quite. The staff is professional. I thought that breakfast is included in all US and Canada BW locations. I am surprised that this location does not have free breakfast. I would not have booked it if I had known it.

Easy to get to from the airport. This is quite a basic hotel; room was dark but ok. It was large with seating area but aircon didn't work properly so rather warm. The fireplace thing didn't help. Breakfast was extra. It was OK but staff didn't seem very happy. Would stay somewhere else next time.

The hotel was new, clean and roomy. Breakfast was included. We needed to stopover for a night in Calgary and it was the weekend of Stampede. The price was steep (we stay in similar hotel near Edmonton airport the next night and the price was 30% less).

I was in transit through YYC, and needed a place to stay overnight. I have previously stayed at Best Western, with mixed feelings. However, my experience at this particular Best Western Premium Calgary Airport was very positive. I will defintely stay here again

This was a one night stay after a long flight before we headed on to our final destination. We had booked a larger room with seating area, fire place etc. Really spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good, variety of choice. Staff friendly and helpful. Free airport shuttle bus provided.

We only stayed for the 1 night after landing in Calgary, the hotel is well kept and clean throughout. There is a small restaurant downstairs which is so convenient and you definitely get your money's worth, especially when breakfast was included in the nights stay. For the location it's close to the airport and easy to get about the north area f Calgary & to top it off there was a free shuttle to the hotel from the airport. Would definitely stay again, never know might be on our way back home.

It's just like any other airport hotel Price ($180)was reasonable when we stayed but not cheap either It's a short drive from the airport but about 30 mins away by car from the city Call the hotel when u arrive at Calgary airport and they can arrange a shuttle bus to pick u up And they can arrange for the shuttle to the airport too We had this most friendly and helpful driver both ways. Real nice fella Rooms are decent - enough space to fit 3 persons and 5 pieces of luggages Clean and well maintained However they don't provide breakfast for our package That will cost me additional about $9 per person To me , that's a negative, considering there is nothing much nearby and not convenient if u don't have a car. And for this rate, they can't throw the breakfast in.

Physically, this is a nice property. The food in the restaurant is actually very good - an unexpected thing for a mid line hotel. The beds are nice. The staff is friendly. But...the little annoyances really get in the way. We stayed here on two separate Friday nights flying into and out of Calgary with a week in the Rockies in between. The clock is a mystery to make work. Apparently the maids can't set the time because it was wrong on the two different days we stayed. I called the desk to get help. "We'll be up to fix it." 45 minutes later when we were tucked into bed, the desk calls..."Do you still want us to fix the clock?" What do you think? No! The next time we stayed, I asked the desk clerk how to set the hour and minutes. You do it with turn wheels that aren't labeled and look like decorations. They don't work anyway. I tried. Unplugging works best. Bring your own clock. Our restaurant staff server did not understand that "Fish and Chips" as a meal include the chips and you are still entitled to an additional salad with the meal, or more chips for that matter. No convincing her. She was going to charge extra for the salad we ordered, but must have thought better of it. Should a guest really have to debate the menu with a server -- and worse, be right? We were treated on the first night to a round of soccer ball bouncing above us that went on until the wee hours. We discovered at checkout that they get young soccer teams staying there on the weekends. We could have called the front desk, but neither of us wanted to wake the other who we thought was sleeping. Moral, avoid the weekends. Stay on the fourth floor and you can hear the planes taking off. Not too bad and certainly beats soccer ball bouncing. The refrigerator on our second stay emitted a very high pitched sound. No jiggling the unit would stop it. The solution -- like the clock -- unplug it. It's not easy to get the room temp where you want it. C'est la vie. I used the business center to print our boarding passes for our departure -- that is, I tried to. They have two computers and one printer. I picked computer #2, logged into United, got the passes set up and went to print them --- surprise! The printer software is not installed on computer #2. Got the desk clerk to try to help. Solution -- use computer #1 and repeat the process at United on it. Computer #1 does print on the printer. Good grief! The front desk messed up our second visit checkout. We had complementary breakfast coupons because of issues on the first stay. The restaurant server took them and clipped them to the receipt. The desk clerk couldn't get the charge card to work to cover our dinners. When he did, he added two breakfasts to the bill and had to undo that error. In short, the place is well kept and friendly, but poorly run. There are many places to choose from and this one is in a fairly remote location by the airport. I'd strongly suggest looking for an alternative.

This is definitely my favourite place to stay in Calgary. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. When I mentioned, at check-in, that we were visiting for our anniversary we were automatically upgraded to the king suite with a fireplace. What a lovely treat. The breakfast continues to be amazing even though they now charge for it. Wondering if "frequent" guest could get a bit of a discount though. They did mention, when I checked, that they might be adding new menu items to the breakfast for the $8.99/person but I didn't notice anything new. Also think it might be worth considering a price per room for the breakfast - when I come back with my 4 daughters $8.99 per person may be a little steep for us, considering there are a couple of Tim Hortons close by for brekkie. Just a thought.

The staff are warm and friendly and recognize your return. The hotel is modern and clean and breakfast offers more options than you would expect. Close to the airport. More important the beds are comfortable and I sleep 75 nights a year on the road. I am a repeat customer staying their monthly for the past 4 years.......and the same employees....that says something...doesn't it .?

A most wonderful place to stay. Clean and efficient and wonderful staff. We were made to feel very welcome after a long trip. The room was just as advertised and more. I will definitely stay here again.

This Hotel certainly lived up to the feed-back we had previously read on Trip-adviser. Our room was lovely, clean, modern , well equipped and very spacious. The shuttle from the hotel was good with a polite driver. Chester on reception was very helpful, courteous, friendly and polite. Anna and Helen in the dining room worked hard and were also delightful. We learned a lot about Best Western as a "group" staying here.. This "Premier" was worth every penny, It was a steep learning curve for us, we stayed at 5 "Best Western" Hotels on our trip ..this was by far the best and we now know to be wary of any that are not "premier"- as the old adage says.. you get what you pay for.

I've been coming to Calgary for 20 years, and since this property has been built, we stay here. It is close to the airport, has a shuttle, has a restaurant and bar, our grandkid can play in the pool, we can work for business. When you add in feeling welcome, and not just a customer, they knock it out of the park.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, rooms clean and comfortable, food was fresh and delicious. Location is 10 min from downtown, zoo, everything north-ish. Pool was clean and fun. Exterior abd interior are very lovely.

We have stayed at this property a number of times. Each time, the experience has been great. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the atmosphere of the hotel is generally welcoming. We'll be back again!

Have stayed here many times for business and seen the service slip significantly over the last little while. The last few beds that I had here had poor mattresses and it was hard to find a flat place to sleep. The free breakfast has been stopped and now is an extra charge and much smaller. I am looking at other options in the area.

After arriving late in the evening in Calgary we were booked in very quickly by friendly and helpful front desk staff. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The included breakfast was buffet style where we made our own waffles, that was a great touch! We caught the free hotel shuttle to the airport to collect our hire car.

Very nice decor inside and out. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Very good breakfast are with extensive breakfast choices. The staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful. This hotel is in a good location for visiting North East Calgary with various restaurants a short drive away. The hotel is also a short drive from the Calgary airport. The Deerfoot Trail and the north bypass are easily accessed from this hotel. I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again.

Lets start by saying I have been a long time loyal Diamond member for quite some time. My recent stay has questioned my loyalty and remain disappointed in the five owners of this hotel. I used to rave about this hotel with my friends, the rooms and food at this hotel were fantastic. I brought 21 new clients to them because of this, and now we are all leaving. May 1 the owners decided they would start charging for breakfast which in the past was normally included, (the breakfast was very good), and to top it off my room was not very clean at all. Very disappointed. I feel very bad for Kim and her staff because they are the brunt of this poor business decision, and after getting to know the staff, its a sad day that their tips are going to reflect this decision by the owners, I hope they get compensated somehow (likely not but its worth a try). For the travelers its not a big deal because they do not know the history of the hotel, but for the business travelers, these changes resonate a long way in the business world. In a very small area around this hotel, there is about 12 major hotel chains gunning for everyone's business. Because I drive a company vehicle I receive at least a call from one of them every two weeks or so trying to poach me to come to their hotel. Well its happened, they have successfully poached me and the 21 clients I brought over to the BW Freeport...…..HINT: if you would have made a very small adjustment to the room rates and left the breakfast alone, no one would have been any wiser!

Nice stay! Hotel staff was very friendly and the breakfast staff went out of their way to serve you. Pool area is very nice. Rooms however are dated and our room was not very clean on this trip. Normally this hotel is very good so maybe it was just a bad housecleaning day. The hotel could use a renovation but other then that is is good value for the price.

This was a very comfortable hotel close to Calgary Airport and convenient for access to the city. The room was tidy and quiet.and all amenities worked well. There is a limited restaurant available and free breakfast..

Very nice hotel with beautiful suites. Close to airport, past all of the traffic so it is simple and fast to get to the airport. Nicest Best Western I've stayed at. They're often hit or miss but this place is top tier. About a 5 minute drive from the airport and includes a restaurant & bar and modern finishings. I'm a Diamond member so I got an upgrade to a very nice room with fireplace. Rate was good too. I'll stay here again for sure.

We phoned from the airport for the shuttle which was there promptly. I was greeted by the friendly clerk who thanked me for being a platinum member, upgraded our room and we were in our room. We ate at the hotel restaurant and had very good service. We were not hurried at all as we visited with our son who had joined us . The hotel was quiet and the bed comfortable . Took the shuttle back to the airport in the morning after a great included breakfast.

On arrival at Calgary airport we called the hotel who immediately sent a minibus to collect us. Checkin was quick, efficient and very friendly. The room was large, well provided with everything you could need including fridge, microwave and safe. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was complementary and very good (though there will soon be a charge for this apparently). We slept well though there was occasional noise from planes taking off. This is a very good hotel and has excellent helpful friendly staff.

We love coming here because it's one of only a few hotels that is still pet free. Our daughter has severe allergies and it's nice not to have to worry about her allergies flaring up. Also the breakfast with the omelette bar included is awesome. Very clean and friendly staff.

Obviously an older hotel that has been renovated. Nice rooms, bathrooms are a bit boxy, nice breakfast, quiches were a nice surprise. The parking lot is a bit hard to manoeuvre unless you have a small car. Reasonable priced.

The Best Western Premier Freeport is the BEST bang for your buck that you will receive in the Calgary airport area. The hotel is very clean. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and rank right up there with most of the large expensive hotels. I was lucky enough to be upgraded while visiting and the King suite was awesome. Having a separate living room to sit and watch television in at the end of the day really makes you feel like your at home. Much better than coming back and going to bed. If you are a rewards member, the check in package is nice. Comes with a choice of chocolate bar, bag of chips, and your choice of beverage. This will be my first choice whenever I am visiting the Calgary area from now on.

I have had many good experiences at this hotel. The only one for me in Calgary... And it is close to the airport. Wednesday afternoon they have a free drink don't know why The pool has a big slide. Free shuttle to and from the airport. The food at the restaurant is getting better now.

This is simply an amazing hotel with an equally amazing staff. Every one from Raj and Yasin at the front desk to the kitchen and housekeeping staff will go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. The breakfast was the best we have a had at any hotel and it was free!

It's a great place to stay when doing business around the airport. Lacks a little more dinning options around the hotel. Have to be willing to drive 5-15 minutes to get to go restaurants. Breakfast is classique contentai breakfast without low carb options.

The room we had was very comfortable with a fireplace which was good after returning from a hot vacation to a cold Calgary night. The room was well maintained and clean which is something I think we all look for. Check in and out were normal no surprises.

This is a great BW hotel; best breakfast; a lounge and basic restaurant, and the best hotel fitness centre I've seen in a while. I am a Best Western aficionado because the quality and price generally match my needs and the rewards program has me hooked. This is perhaps the best BW I've stayed in.

We stayed here for one night prior to a flight out of the Calgary Airport. The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and provides shuttle service to and from. The staff were very friendly and professional. Check-in was a snap. The hotel and room were clean and well appointed. Overall, the place was well maintained and gave the impression it was much newer in appearance. We used the fitness room, and it had enough equipment to get a quick sweat. The breakfast provided in the am was nice. They had an omelet bar and assorted other hot and cold food items to fit most folk's taste. One of the best amenities the hotel offers is on-site parking for your vehicle while you are away on your trip. We will definitely be back.

I have stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions and have been impressed both times. The staff are friendly and efficient, the room clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. I have stayed at many other hotels in Calgary - this offers the best value for the price paid. I will definitely be booking for any subsequent visits.

We stayed here as a family of 4 in December before we headed to the mountains for skiing. The rooms were standard but clean and nice. We throughly enjoyed our supper from the in hotel restaurant. My girls had tons of fun in the pool and on the waterslide. Breakfast next morning was great too! We particularly enjoyed the omelette station.

The Best Best Western I have ever stayed at. From the managers to the cooks everyone had a smile on their face and was happy to help or just say hi. Try the breakfast you will not be disappointed. Also stay on Wednesday night great happy hour.

I have been staying the BW hotels for the past couple of years and I have a pretty satisfying experience with most of them. My stay in this location was good. Nice clean room, front desk was helpful, hot breakfast, and rate was reasonable. I will probably stay in this location again.

Would definitely recommend going to this hotel even if you're not flying out of YYC. Excellent rooms and staff really made our stay over the Christmas holidays wonderful. The rooms are large and the beds are incredibly comfortable.

My wife and I left our four boys at home in BC for two nights while we went to Calgary.We booked this hotel for it being best western premiere and knowing it was fairly new. We thought breakfast was an added bonus. Everything was pretty good. We don't need every bell and whistle but a few things we like are a softish bed. The king bed we had was definitely Firm. We both woke up with still backs. The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave. We requested more coffee as there was one regular and two decaf packs. We had prompt service for that. Breakfast was good especially the omelette bar. Overall good hotel just wish the bed was softer.

We stayed at the Best Western Freeport December 11, 2018. Quick check in. Room was large with comfortable bed, large tv, spacious shower. Breakfast had a large selection of hot and cold items. Made to order omelettes were a big hit. We paid to have out truck stay while we left for our vacation. Way better price than the park and jet or other place we looked at. Parking lot was well lit up and secure. Shuttle was fast and no sitting outside freezing waiting for them at the airport.

Wanted a hotel close to our layover in Calgary. This hotel was perfect! Arrived around 7pm and were able to have a delicious dinner in the hotel! Super friendly and efficient front desk, servers and shuttle driver. It was nice to have a HOT breakfast in the morning. The bed was cosy and comfortable and the hotel was quite quiet for being so close to the airport. Would stay again!

This is a very clean hotel with great, friendly staff. Reasonably priced with an on site restaurant/lounge. The restaurant staff are very helpful and the food was pretty good considering it's a hotel.

Called this hotel last minute cuz of change of flight time...gentleman at front desk was very professional and kind...(sometimes these 2 words don't mingle). He even offered a discount..which is rare in these circumstances. Shuttle was prompt & efficient, both ways. Free breakfast the next morning included an omelette which just hit the spot..would definitely recommend.. Not sure about any of the amenities..was only there about 10 hours!! tks

Our new go to place in Calgary. Very clean. Great value. Staff in the breakfast area were unbelievably friendly. Omelette station was a nice surprise. Can't say enough about the staff working there. Very nice pool area with a hot tub and water slide. FYI...if your a 200 pound man then Holy Moses hold on for dear life. Almost lost my trunks on that first run!!! Overall great hotel and will be staying again.

We stayed here two nights and loved everything about this place. It was conveniently located for us, coming in from northwest of Calgary, and is near the airport and major highways. Right now the hotel is rather isolated in an area that is under rapid development with more hotels, auto dealers, and restaurants. This hotel will doubtless become very popular and more expensive once the area builds out. This is a modern hotel with all the conveniences. There is a fine restaurant on site that serves good Asian fusion food at night, and a wonderful included breakfast. The lobby is beautiful with lots of stonework and a well staffed reception desk. Our only complaint is that there was rather low water pressure in our rooms. It is a bother, but not a significant issue--and likely one they can't change. There is ample free parking and the rooms are very quiet and spacious. Everything is squeaky clean and new.

We arrived in Calgary 2 hours late after snow in Toronto delayed our flight. We called for the shuttle what arrived later than advised, but that was probably due to the snow storm in Calgary. We really only had 5 hours at the hotel, but appreciated the comfortable bed, clean room and quiet location. My husband loved the pillows! I very much appreciated that they had a lighted make-up mirror in the room. So many hotels do not have great lighting in the bathroom and wide counters that make it difficult to apply make up for short people. This was an A+ amenity. I so wish they had a bathrobe in the room though. We stayed in a BW Plus in Toronto that had one and I would have through that a BW Premier was a step higher in the BW ratings and that they would have that also. The morning breakfast was fantastic and appreciated. The front staff were helpful in moving up out airport shuttle 30 minutes earlier. We travel out of Calgary fairly often so hope to stay with you again.

Great restaurant downstairs for dinner (surprisingly big portions, small salad is rather large:), good breakfast, nice and clean room, decent gym, very close to the airport. I liked the fact you could open the window in your room, not all hotels have that. And that the room had a microwave. I would appreciate a different kind of tea than the cheapest brand of orange pekoe in the room. And maybe it was the travel stress or the bed mattress a bit worn out, but I didn't sleep much, I was sinking in the mattress all night.

Pick up from airport efficient. Room big with comfy bed. Buffet breakfast good and included in stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Internet didn't work on husbands tablet but did on my cell. Overall would for sure stat again.

We stayed here for 1 night on a road trip from BC to Sask. The hotel was well setup and clean. The location was perfect for us as we were driving and it was close to the new freeway. The night included breakfast in the morning as well. I recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Liked it so much first time that stayed here again next time I was in Calgary. Once again I really liked the place. Has a restaurant and lounge on site. Nice ambience. Classy place for lower cost. There's lots of choice near airport - this is the place I will stay at next time I am in town. Free shuttle to and from airport as well.

An excellent location for the Airport or the northern Calgary shopping centers. Always a positive experience - helpful staff,clean rooms and other facilities, and a fantastic breakfast that is much better than other 'breakfast included' hotels.

Stayed at the Best Western Premier Freeport Inn & Suites for 3 nights. Service was good and everyone is friendly. The breakfast was good, and the Omlet station was a big plus. Bar service was awesome and they have a food special between 4pm and 6pm. Nice pool and gym.

My husband and I stayed at the Freeport for a weekend away. We checked into a room with a fireplace and an extra sitting area. The room was very clean and had lots of space. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The bathroom not only had a large and sturdy light up makeup mirror but also had really nice plush towels. I really liked that there were 2 bottles of water each night we stayed and it was replaced with our other room amenities during our stay over. The blackout blinds really let us sleep in a little longer. The front desk staff was more than accommodating and made you feel at home even if this was our first stay. The lounge menu had a lot of options to choose from and was open late. When our food arrived it was just right and the server was prompt and attentive. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is great with free round trip airport transfers. Very clean, updated and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast has an excellent omlett station, good selection of yogurt, fruit, cereal, bacon, eggs, hasbrowns and juices. The pool and waterslide are really fun and the 24 hour gym is perfect with lots of options. As well coin laundry and an on-site restaurant with great food for dinner and a bar. They offer breakfast in a bag to go for early departures before the breakfast is served. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. A place we always stay when flying into Calgary.

The hotel is new and very welcoming. There are no places to eat close by but the food in the bar / breakfast room for dinner was lovely. The food was very good and staff helpful very nice to be able to just go down stairs for a lovely meal and not have to drive.Breakfast was nice made to order omelet station very nice. good variety of food and a nice sunny room to enjoy it innews paper was nice to have. will stay again

This hotel is a very quite place even though it is very near to the airport. The room was great, ours had a fireplace. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty to eat. Would stay here again.

A great staff to greet you starting with the limo driver...Everyone at the hotel bent over backwards to be accommodating. The hotel was clean clean clean and quiet...The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced...The free breakfast was a treat. We will stay again.

Check in was easy. The hotel looked like new with an upscale feel and decor. The breakfast was delicious with custom made omelets and above average breakfast selections for free! Typical easy self parking at no charge and a shuttle van driver was seen waiting at our service. There is also a fully staffed bar and dinner with high end menu choices. Emmaculate rooms and lobby. Check in was easy and airport, gas stations and eateries were within a couple of miles. Like all other airport hotels I could occasionally hear jets take off, but overall I could tell sound proofing was applied and found my room relatively quiet to street traffic and other guests. I can recommend as an outstanding premium hotel at an excellent value. Friendly staff also.

Upon arriving I notice this hotel was in great location. The staff were great the customer service was awesome. The room was very clean and comfortable. The upkeep of the grounds and living areas are very well maintained. I would stay here again for sure I recommend to anyone needing a room near Calgary Airport.

Perfect experience. Super friendly front desk staff that would help and answer all questions and then some. Great hotel, and very well kept. Close to the airport and a very quick shuttle ride. Landscaping, Flowers, Cleanliness, and a Good Price. For sure I will stay here again.

The Jacuzzi soaker tub is nicely separated from the main room by French style doors … the fireplace, though it wasn't used during this stay, is nicely appreciated. The bed linens were just a tad noticeably coarse at first. You can order food from the Liberty Lounge downstairs to bring up to your room if you like; ordered a large mushroom soup which was surprisingly laden with mushrooms … however it was quite less than lukewarm and necessitated the use of the microwave in the room to heat it up significantly. Would also skip the pre-made eggs and bland round sausage patties available as part of the other additional offerings with the complimentary breakfast and go instead with the omelettes you can custom order and which are quickly prepared. Nothing better than having an opportunity to soak in a Jacuzzi tub after a long day out.

We booked this hotel for it's proximity to the Calgary airport (5 minutes north) as we had a very early flight. The hotel was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable and the bathroom although small quite functional. Our bed was oh so comfortable making for a great sleep. The best part was the restaurant. Our bartender/waitress was knowledgeable and a very kind and thoughtful person. The food was "awesome" especially my tandoori chicken wrap. It might be to spicy for some people but for us it was over the top. We travel extensively so a good night's rest is important and if the restaurant is both available and great all the better. This BW Premium Hotel was as good as you could want.

We chose this hotel for a couple of reasons: -free hot breakfast: there were other hotels that offered the same, but this one also included customized omelette! -waterslide: way smaller than BW Port O Call and Sheraton Cavalier and less sunny than Hioliday Inn, but it met our needs, unfortunately during buffet breakfast, we had to wait a while to get an open table, because some guests stayed around after they were done eating. So I decided to to bring the food to the room, One dining staff, Helen, saw me heading towards the elevator, she was rude and gave me a lecture about eating in the diningroom. It was so bad that other guests were watching. It didn't give me a good feeling about going back, I expect the other guests who witnessed her ranting felt the same way. anyway, The rooms were surprisingly luxurious and it included a microwave and fridge — bonus!

My 5 sisters united for a fun visit and relaxation and boy did we get so much more...All our first names start with a D and by the end of our 2 day visit we had adopted 2 more sisters into our family ... Delilah and Daisy are our 2 new sisters...Delilah works with the morning continental breakfast which was wonderful with so many awesome choices and also Daisy who was in the more management area and did also drive the shuttle as well. What fun we had and the whole staff were so very accomodating trying to make everything exciting and fun...and did we ever. We had Chinese brought in the first night and Daisy gave us a name and printed off a menu for us and set us up with plates and utensils to use...wow! We wanted to play cards and they opened up a conference room and let us use a table there 2 different times. We met the Chef Rana and he was willing to prepare anything we would like for our dinner..and also made sure we came to the managers appreciation on Wed. afternoon to enjoy a beverage and appetizers...all complimentary. It was awesome. The staff as a whole were the most accommodating and fun crew I have ever run into for sure. They wanted to make sure that our Sister Reunion was special and so it was...I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank You to the whole staff for making our Sister Act so much fun. We hope to be back to visit you again. I am sorry if I don't remember all the names, Kim who came to our table in the morning to see if we had everything we needed and also had a nice visit; and the first gentleman that we spoke to when we arrived ... He was going to come and party with us...he never did show up...hahaha. Our gals who took pictures. Allowing us to use one room for a late checkout......... ..And EVERONE SMILED. Thank You, Debbie Z

Great hotel with awesome service, parking and buffet breakfast. Rooms were spacious, clean and very nice. Had a very comfortable sleep and check-in and check-out was easy. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with the chef-made custom omelettes on-site and also a waffle-maker too so you can make your own. Highlight of the hotel for sure. The only issue was the location as it was kinda far from everywhere and mainly located in an industrial part of town so kind of blah outside.

We stayed here for thanksgiving our party rented 4 rooms for three nights, the rooms were very beautiful and clean, the breakfast was wonderful loved the made to order omelette. The beds were very comfortable.

We always stay at this hotel whenever we visit Calgary. It's very close to the airport, just about a 5 to 7-minute drive. It's great that they also provide shuttle service to and from the airport. It's close to restaurants and malls. Room rate includes breakfast - they have an omelet station, waffle station, sausage/patty, hash browns, yogurt, cereal, pastries, juice, coffee, tea and fruits. Always a pleasure to stay here.

worst sofa bed ever !!! i will write more when i will find time but realy, it was a bad experience and the hotel manager desk didn't realy care (drop 20 cad $ !!! for 4 persons that couldn't sleep at night at all after international flight !!! we ask them to let 2 of us that came to the hotel after midnight just to sleep in another room because no one can sleep on that sofa and to leave the room before 8:00 am , without even using the shower, but they wanted almost a full price and ' didnt agree for less. not only the sofa was awful it doesn't feet 2 adult - and still they sell the room for 4 adult. that is the first time im writing such feedback - but its because i don't want others to have the terrible night and the bad attitude we received the next morning. due to that we cancelled the last night of our trip there and went to much better hotel - and there are much better. i have to add that the man and woman at front desk at check in were very nice' but this didn help when we found how bad is the sofa bed!!! also, the room wasnt clean. im sorry i had this night at this hotel and i will never go there again.

I stayed at this hotel years ago and thought I would try it again.....I was happy to say they are a great hotel. Easy access to many things in the area (airport, Cross Iron Mills Mall) and the staff were amazing!!!

My husband and I stayed at this BW on Thursday, 9/06, after getting into Calgary around 10:45 PM. The shuttle service promptly picked us up. We both were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was and the contemporary vibe. The guy who drove the shuttle and at the front desk were very courteous and friendly. Our room was better than expected although we had seen pictures on the internet. Here in the U.S., Best Westerns can be hit or miss and this was our first stay at a Best Western Premiere. We stayed here as we were heading up to Banff and then Jasper for vacation and only wish we had booked this same property on our way back down before our flight out of Calgary on 9/15. It is only a few blocks away from the airport. There were no issues or concerns about the shuttle times and making it to the airport. I have stayed at hotels that were much higher and were not as nice. Should we make it to Calgary again, we will be staying at this property!

We were somewhat in shock at the prices for accommodation through our trip to the rockies and it was a welcome respite to come to this hotel on our last night. Within budget, with a large room, huge bed, and a bathroom just big enough to dry our tent in! The breakfast was really good with a wide selection of items (including fresh cooked waffles and an egg station where you can have a omlette made to order). There's a small pool which Mrs GrumblingWanderer tried out and discovered it has a flume! Lots of fun for all the family. The icing on the cake was the staff though. We were able to check in early and the next day we weren't flying until around 8.30pm so we left the bags with the hotel and went to downtown calgary for the day. When we got back to the airport later in the day (via the C-Train and 100 bus) we phoned the hotel and they brought all our bags over in the shuttle bus - we didn't even have to go back to the hotel to collect them. All round a great experience.

Our stay was very pleasant.. good comfortable room with great amenities.. Fridge/microwave in the room made it a lot easier with kids. Staff was extremely helpful and caring. Front desk staff went out of the way to help customers.

My famil (2adults 2children 8&9) absolutely loved the pool/waterslide. The breakfast was hot and fast which made it easy to grab a bite to eat before heading off to the airport for our morning flight.

This is always my favourite experience in Calgary. Love the staff here - they're so friendly and accommodating. We needed 2 rooms, adjoining with 2 cribs and they were happy to oblige. My only complaint this year, is the heating system. I know it was an early cold spell - with rain and snow - but we could not get the system to stop blowing cold air into our rooms. The staff did provide a space heater for one room and we had brought our own for the other room, but that was disappointing. One other picky thing - lots of puffy pillow provided on each bed - could we please have a couple of flatter pillows to sleep on, as well. :) However, the breakfast continues to be amazing - made to order omelets, fresh waffles, fresh strawberries, all served with a smile. Please commend the staff here - they are great!

Stayed one night on stop between Edmonton and Black Diamond. Staff are very friendly and welcoming at reception, the restaurant and generally around the hotel. Room was huge, comfy bed and large bathroom. All very clean. Plenty of free parking. The pool was good fun with a big slide although the water was cold! Hot tub was great and fits about 6 people in it. Can't recommend the restaurant enough. Service and food was exceptional. Great choice, price and quality. Breakfast is included and one of the best experienced. Cereals, bagels, omelette bar, hot buffet style. Teas, coffee and fruit juices. Absolutely recommend this hotel and for a variety of stays - friends, families, work, etc.

This hotel was nice and clean and convenient to the airport. However, I had booked 2 rooms for us a couple of mos ago, hoping they would be connected rooms . They were not able to accommodate that request. Disappointed. Plus , the lighting in the room was terrible- nowhere good to read or apply make-up. Another mirror would have helped too. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good.

My family and I loved this hotel. Facilities are nice and clean, breakfast is really good and the staff is amazingly friendly. We went to Calgary for tourism and even though the main attractions were in downtown, the location was not big issue. You can easily drive everywhere as traffic is OK. Being close to the airport is also a plus. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Lovely friendly clean place. Close to airport. To get to town we took courtesy shuttle to airport then bus into town 30 minutes, very simple. Restaurant has fantastic food. Rooms are big, bathroom adequate very clean. Front counter ladies very helpful as are the bar staff. Easy to use coin operated laundry $2 each. Pool looked like fun, we didnt use it but families were especially the pool slide!! Well equiped for early departures, ours was 4.30am. We got a breakfast bag!! Would stay there again!!

Great value for the dollar at this hotel located close to major thoroughfares. The complimentary breakfast is exceptional compared to others I've experienced. Stayed in a queen room with lots of space and a small kitchen area that was an added bonus for us. Grandsons loved the pool which wasn't too deep and a water slide for added fun.

Really enjoyed a very relaxing visit here recently. Room was comfy, well appointed, and quiet. Breakfast was great, pool was nice too, All staff we encountered were friendly and polite and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. Reasonable rate, we'd go back definitely.

We picked this hotel as it was close to the airport and to many of the destinations we wanted to go to. We were greeted by the front desk attendant and she was very nice and friendly. Took her time to explain the facilities and promotions that BW had with Calgary attractions (i.e. up to 25% off Calgary Zoo admissions). Also should mentioned she accomodated our early check-in request as we had flown to Calgary early morning. Thanks! The room was very clean and spacious. I wonder if "Premier" had extra perks than the BW Plus as this hotel also had an omelette station and a water slide in the swimming pool. Also should mention most of the BW staff were very friendly and interacted with my 5 year old son when he was not in the best of moods (i.e. waking too early for breakfast). The minor issue I had was that each time the bathroom toiletries were used, they were thrown away and replaced with new ones. I would have preferred that they wouldn't have been thrown away as I would have continued using them as i'm trying to be environmentally friendly. I think that probably BW had complaints so that is why they do this. I will definitely come back here again when I am back to Calgary.

We used this as a base before our morning flight from Calgary. Nice rooms, but the air cooler below the window made the room freezing so we had to unplug it. Breakfast made for a good start to the day. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the airport which you can book at reception. Our driver in particular was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this location 2 years ago and were impressed with the breakfast, especially Helen. So pleasant and helpful. Came back this year and once again she continues to impress. She puts a smile on your face because of her pleasant and friendly demeanour. Also like to mention Kim ( I hope I have the name right, she was mgr on duty on Aug 21) She went out of her way to help us with trip ideas, even though it was clear she was very busy. It's employees like them that keep you coming back and the Best Western should be happy they have them. Good location, great free breakfast and clean rooms.

We started our vacation at this Best Western Premier near Calgary Airport before heading to Banff, Vancouver and Victoria. What a great start. This was the nicest Best Western we've ever stayed at. Very pleased. Friendly staff. Great bartender. Clean and comfortable room!

As always a great place to stay, the staff and the cleanliness are phenomenal! The restaurant is so good and the breakfast staff are so friendly. All you have to do is relax, go for a swim, then dinner, a drink in the bar/lounge area and go to sleep in the most comfortable bed. Next morning start your day with the best breakfast!

This hotel is indicated if you want to stay out of the city. We stayed only one night before starting a tour to the Rockies from Calgary Airport, it has a good shuttle bus service. Rooms are very comfortable and cleaned, not completely satisfied regarding breakfast, it could be more various.

This hotel has everything you could be looking for, pool, hot tub, great free breakfast, comfy rooms and amazing staff. The staff I have dealt with have gone above and beyond to ensure my stay and my family's stay was perfect. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

This property has become my "go-to" place in Calgary. Great value and consistent service. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and amenities very good. The fresh omelet bar for breakfast is fast and delicious. The dinner menu in the lounge is really terrific and I can recommend both the warm kale salad and Nasi Goreng (ask for it extra spicy!) as highlights. Great airport SUV shuttle service and personable, friendly staff. All in all a great experience for my frequent business travels to the Calgary area.

Great price and great hotel Clean rooms and comfortable beds, the pool was fun for kids although it got busy it was still enjoyable. The food for breakfast was good, lots of variety. We ate at the restaurant instead of ordering take out. the food was good. One minor thing is the pop my kids order was flat but they didnt care

Jacuzzi tub was wonderful and bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms seemed a little dated and could use a bit of a revamp, but it was comfortable and had all the required needs for an overnight stay.

We booked for 3 nights at the Best Western Freeport Inn & Suites and it was the best thing we could have done. The hotel is by the Airport, but still only minutes away from all the activities around Calgary. The hotel is very presentable and clean with up to date decor and great lobby and onsite restaurant/bar from 4 to 11 every day. The staff is great and very friendly. Our room was great with a comfortable bed with great choices in pillows and great TV, etc. Bathroom area was nice and clean and the cleaining staff each day would leave us a couple waters. The breakfast which is included in the price of your room was wonderful with nice fresh cooked omelettes done by a very pleasant staff and also includes juices, coffee, cereals, oatmeal and sausage plus other choices. If we come back to Calgary this will be our place to stay and the room price was is an excellent value.

Only minutes to the airport. Clean, comfortable room. Good TV and Wi-fi. Reading lights over the bed( good idea). Switch on the wall that you had to leave the bed to turn off lights( poor idea) . Mediocre food. Both dinner and breakfast. Exceptional wait staff!

If you don't mind being on the outskirts of Calgary, this is an awesome place to stay. The free breakfast will meet anyone's needs, including milk or gluten problems. The pool area is great for kids and adults. A comfortable room, and despite being near the airport, it is still quiet. I highly recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel because it was near the airport, but it was so great! The staff was friendly and helpful at check in. They have an airport shuttle that you can schedule anytime 24/7. Very convenient. We had an early flight so they made us breakfast to go bags. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Even their restaurant had good food & service. Much more than I would expect from a Best Western.

Checkin and checkout were efficient and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable and well priced. Staff throughout were very accommodating. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of selection and omelette bar was great especially the lady making them on a single frying pan and lots of orders yet had a smile and a laugh that were contagious! Our new hotel of choice in Calgary so we'll be back!

I had booked one night here before our flight back to TO. I called the day before to ask for a suite rather than the king room I had booked. When we arrived the check in person gave us the upgrade complimentary. Lovely room and very comfy bed. One niggle is house keeping could do a better job on the mirrors. I find this is the case in a lot of hotels. We didn't have time to enjoy what I hear is a very good breakfast but we did have dinner in the restaurant. It was delicious! I had the warm kale salad with chicken and it couldn't have been tastier. Great service as well. Next time I'm flying out of Calgary I would stay here again.

My family and I just stayed here for one night on our way up to Edmonton. We have stayed at this hotel before and our previous stays were really good but after this stay I have to say it definitely does not live up to its Premier name. Check in was nice and smooth and the staff member was polite. My husband is diamond elite so we got the king suite. Upon getting into the suite there was pieces of paper all over the floor so I'm going to assume that no one vacuumed while they were cleaning. There was also hair on the top of our bed cover and in the shower which I wasn't impressed with but it's not a huge deal. I was grossed out by the pube that was still on the toilet seat though... There were stains on some of the chairs and couch. I don't want to know what from. If we weren't just getting in a 10pm and going right to bed I would have said something. The shower is definitely showing wear and some of the towels were torn. Not what I expected from a "premier" hotel. Honestly I don't know if I would stay here again, especially with kids.

We have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions over the last few years. Not as pleased as on previous stays. The good: very clean, comfortable beds, large rooms, great breakfast including custom omelette station, friendly and helpful service by Shanda. Good value. The bad: hotel is definitely starting to show signs of aging without proper upkeep. One elevator was out of service the entire weekend and the other would get stuck on the fourth floor so we had to use the stairs a lot. Water pressure in the shower, sink and toilet was very low. Only one washer and one dryer in the coin laundry. If someone ties up a machine for long periods of time, everyone is at their mercy. Airport shuttle vehicle seatbelt in the middle at the back does not work and windshield is cracked.

We were there only 1 night and we were sorry to leave. From the kind Receptionist who found us a room hours before the check-in time, to the terrific service at the restaurant, and delicious food, we couldn't have had a better stay. The room was so large, clean and comfortable. Also best bathroom amenities. Highly recommend this venue, only minutes from the airport.

We stayed 2 days, post Rocky Mountain hiking, at this hotel. We enjoyed the friendly helpful staff, wonderful made-to-orde omelettes and airport shuttle services. Rooms were clean, well appointed and wifi was excellent. The shuttle to the airport would allow you to us public transit to downtown $8 each but we opted for Uber for the two of us for simplicity. (25-27)Our full day in Calgary included a lovely cycle along the bow river pathways and Calgary folk festival

Close to the airport with shuttle service, good breakfast, modern installations, clean room, spacious room whit a indoor pool, this was a business trip but next time I will stay here in this hotel for family trips in Calgary

Had a great sleep and the front staff were quick at check in. Breakfast was really good compared to other hotels. Omelette station was a hit! Keep it up. Will be back next year for the Calgary Stampede!

I'd echo what everyone else has been saying: can't fault it. I stayed because it was fairly close to the airport after a long flight and it was excellent. It's 5-10 mins from the airport so there is no airport noise, and is in quiet location away from traffic. The room has everything you'd need / expect - good working fridge, microwave and coffee maker, generous room size, comfortable bed, good toiletries and fluffy towels in the bathroom. The on site restaurant is open for dinner - the beef stir fry was good. The breakfast was outstanding, with loads of hot and cold options, several choices of coffee, juices and cereals, pastries, sausage, eggs, hash browns, muffins, toast, yogurt etc and the added bonus of an omelette bar. Check in / out was friendly and problem free. Car parking seemed safe. This was the first stop of an 11 night break in the Rockies and got me off to an excellent start!

The check-in was seamless. Spacious room, ample car parking and 6-10 min drive to the airport. The staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was included and was of good quality. Made to order omelette. Make your own waffle with plenty of fruits. All in all, a good hotel to stay if you want to be close to the airport.

Great staff, awesome breakfast, good bar and restaurant...perfect for easy airport access...highly recommend. Stay here often s they have easy access to airport and a good shuttle service. A very nice hotel...a bit in the middle of nowhere if you're looking for nightlife.

Room Size was great. Beds were very comfortable. The in room amenities were apprecisted. Breakfast especially the home made omelets were great. Thelocation near the airport was super after a long trip.

Large room with upgraded furnishings. They gave us a bag with a cookie, cereal bar and juice as an early breakfast. Very good location, near the airport, with a good shuttle service to and from the airport. Very good cost x benefit ratio. Very good staff.

I found this hotel last November when we decided to attend the Calgary Stampede. Check in was a breeze. Very friendly folks at the front desk. The room was large and very clean. We had a king size bed. The microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator came in handy. The free breakfast included a made to order omelet station as well as the usual pastries, dry cereal, fruit and waffles. The hotel provided shuttle service to the north bus terminal which provided transportation directly to the Stampede grounds. Everything about this hotel was first rate. I will be staying at more Best Westerns after this pleasant experience.

Beautiful hotel. Bed comfortable. AC cold. Internet great. Lots of parking. Very friendly staff. Breakfast yummy with lots of selections. They even had an omelet bar and/or eggs to order. Large pool with a slide for the kids. And even an area to do laundry. To wash and dry is $4 CAD. The two things to be aware of, they can change U.S. $ to Canadian $ but at a really bad rate. And they add a $50 incidental charge up front to your card that you have to wait days to get your money back.

We stayed one night before our early morning flight. The checkin process was a breeze and the agent was proactively helpful regarding dinner options and shuttle information. We were very happy to choose this hotel to end our vacation. The shuttle is free and runs at any time you need. We had a 6am flight and then didn't blink an eye when we asked if a 4am shuttle was possible. The shuttle was a Tahoe xl so it was comfortable for us and our luggage. The on premise restaurant was tasty. There was something for everyone. It had steak, pasta and even an Indian dish which we tried and loved.

I was attending a Stampede even in Calgary during July of 2018. When i booked the hotel, the price was a little higher due to the amount of booking I guess. Although, I have stayed at this particular location many times in the (Best Western Premier Freeport Inn & Suites, Calgary, ALBERTA). I really like the location..... Unfortunately the hotel can only have accommodate me for one night unfortunately. I was hoping that the hotel will offer me more nights stay or put me on the waiting list as I am gold member or so. I can completely understand that this is a busy season in Calgary Alberta and the rooms are probably sold out solid. Nevertheless, the hotel should have sold the room to me at a regular rate since I am a valuable long value customer. The rate were very high but i can understand how the business works. Best Western Hotels in this location in Calgary was very nice, the hotel actually offer me an Express Check-in feature prior to my pre-arrival via email? This is the first time ever that Best Western Hotels will make this service available to me. Good hotel and I plan to sty there in the future.

Stayed here on our way home from the Shushwaps. Room was clean, beds were comfy, the pool was great (fun water slide) and the continental was AWESOME! I could've hung out at breakfast all day, awesome waffles and they make omelettes! If we stay in Calgary it'll be there!

Extremely dissapointed with this hotel. We went to go check in here and the guy behind the desk was so disorganized and had no clue what to do we just left and drove across calgary to the four points by sheraton where we were treated so much better and got a better room for a lesser rate. We usally stay at BWP chains but not after that experiance.

This is the closest BW to the International airport and it really is quite a pleasant surprise. Excellent and prompt shuttle service 24//7; excellent dining facilities and food quality, well laid out rooms and very clean. Nice Bar with extended hours and did I mention the food?!

Good hotel, it served a purpose for a stopover. Comfortable bed, nice room and great shuttle bus option. Would recommend as an airport stopover and looked great fun for kids! Thanks again Best Western!

I had booked this hotel preparing to get in late. Due to delays I was unable to arrive until the next morning. The shuttle came right away. When we arrived at the hotel, they knew exactly who were were. The manager began with “hello I invite you to have some breakfast.” The omelette station and the make your own waffle with fresh strawberries was exactly what I needed. Great breakfast. We then when to check in and understanding our situation they gave us the longest time in the room they possibly could. He let us know that certain packages that we had preordered to the hotel had arrived and were safely being stored for us. Room was immaculately clean, bottles of water waiting and a cozy bed. The man working at the front desk was exceptional, above and beyond customer service. Thank you for making a rough travel day better.

I had stayed at the Port O Call many years ago and was very surprised at the upgrades and amenities making this Hotel one of the best of our trip. It is handy to the airport and a short drive to downtown. Food was great and the free breakfast was the best of the trip.

I booked this hotel for my husband and I and another couple travelling with us for one night before flying home to the USA. When we arrived the front desk could not find our friends' reservation. Apparently I had mistakenly booked them for the night before where they had been listed as a no show. I had the written confirmation so it was clearly my fault. No worries! The front desk staff quickly transferred their reservation to the correct night and all was well, saving me much embarrassment and stress, not to mention expense. The rooms were very well thought out with good lighting over the beds for reading. There was a light bulb burned out in the bedside lamp. I found a convenient maintenance request form on the bedside table and filled it out and left if at the front desk and the bulb was replaced before we even unloaded the car. Now that is service. There was a magnifying mirror in the bathroom which is unusual to find in less than a luxury hotel. We used the business center, the shuttle to the airport at 4 a.m. all efficient and timely. We borrowed a luggage scale from the front desk. The location to the airport from this hotel is optimal. We were met at 4 a.m. with bagged to go breakfasts. The area around the hotel looks like it will be full of airport hotels within the next 5 years as there were several in the area and room for more. I highly recommend this hotel over others we have stayed in at the Calgary airport for the quality of the stay, location, cleanliness, room condition (hotel is 7 years old) and price. But mostly, I recommend it for the staff which makes the whole thing work. Good job.

We are staying here on our way back from a great vacation in the Jasper/Banff area. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the airport. Staff is helpful and the facilities are clean and modern.

We locked our keys in our rental car. The front desk gave us the number to CAA. CAA recognized our AAA membership and quickly unlocked the car. The front desk gave us excellent advice on getting to The Saddledome for the Bryan Adams concert. The free shuttle from the airport was a plus. Our room was clean and comfortable. It had free wi-fi. The hotel has a coin operated laundry room by the fitness center and pool. They have a small indoor pool with a fun slide. The slide is fast. There is a hot tub too. The free breakfast was good. They have an omelette bar. I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel whilst flying in and out of Calgary Airport. We later learned that this hotel is a relatively new structure. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The restaurant / bar was good quality and the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast (which was included in the room price) was very good. There was a waffle machine which, unfortunately, I was too much of a coward to use but the waffles looked really good. I did use the omelette station where a very nice lady made omelettes to order using a variety of ingredients of your choice. The shuttle to and from the airport was very useful. I found that the free phone telephone number provided by the hotel to call the shuttle at the airport did not in fact work but the hotel landline number was fine and as it was a local call did not incur a cost.

This Best western chain as far as I am concerned makes it one of my top 10 and I would go as far as putting Premier Plus Freeport Inn number one. The pick up from the airport is prompt and friendly with easy access from the curtesy phone near the information desk to call the hotel. The room, gym, pool, toilets, restaurants, lobby and hotel in general extremely clean. Plenty of towels by the pool and gym areas. Pool ideal for families with children as they have an awesome water slide too! The staff at the front desk are frendly, helpful and very knowledgable in giving information about the area and things to do in Calgary (Especially Shanna, the flower lady). Although the location is closer to the airport than down town, it was an easy ride by bus to down town from the hotel. Just a short walk to the bus stop for the 100 bus than a quick change at the station for a short ride by train right down to the city centre .. all for just 3.30$. The inclusive breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choice and the omlette perfect prepared by Jinig at the omelette station. The best shrimp omlette I ever had!! I would recommend breakfast 100%. Throughly enjoyed the stay -highly recommend it.

My first time staying here and it was a great experience. I came in after a long day, late at night and the check-in was quick. I was pleasantly surprise by the room - new, clean and equipped. I notice there was a huge pool slide that would be great for children. The staff is honest - I forgot my bag / purse after eating breakfast (included with room) and I received a phone call when I wasn't too far away with the bag being returned with all contents present. All-in-all a great experience - looking forward to my next stay!

I just spent 2 nights here. The reception staff was helpful and friendly. My room was wonderful. It was clean and quiet. I was on the fourth floor. There are 2 elevators serving the building. Some of the perks were a dual cup coffee maker, a lighted magnifying mirror in the bathroom, real glassware and ceramic mugs (not the usual plastic), and higher quality tissues. They even provide 2 bottles of drinking water to guests. The room had a huge flatscreen TV with many channels available. There is an airport shuttle. The bar in the lobby is open after 4 p.m. This Best Western is close to the airport but it is a bit of a drive to downtown Calgary. The included breakfast was excellent. They even had an omelette station where you could order the ingredients you wanted. Our evening dining experience was terrible. It had nothing to do with the food choices (Indonesian, Indian, pasta, burgers, etc.). All the dishes we ordered were nicely prepared and very tasty. The problem was that there was only ONE person on duty the night we dined. And we had made a reservation several days in advance so they knew to expect us. The ONE server acted as bartender, waitstaff, server and even bussed the tables. It was an impossible job. On top of that one person in our group had her dinner served to another customer at another table so she had to wait another 30 minutes for her meal which she took to her room. Obviously the management had a communication problem. This hotel would have earned 5 stars were it not for the restaurant problem.

I have stayed in Best Western in the U.S. This was a first for us to stay in one in Canada. It was an excellent experience. The rooms were very nice. The staff very accommodating. The restaurant was excellent. The wait staff person in the restaurant was excellent. All in all a very good experience. If I was to visit Calgary again I will/would stay here without hesitation.

We've stayed here twice in the last year. It is a decent hotel at a sensible price. All the facilities you could need for a very comfortable stay while travelling. Breakfast was a bit hectic but a very good offering nonetheless. All staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. None more so than Basil who's welcome and assistance were greatly appreciated. This hotel is conveniently located about 5 minutes from the airport. It does provide shuttle back and forth, but if you are planning to stay longer than a night you might want to consider to rent a car because there are not restaurants around, except for the hotel restaurant. They open from 4-12 pm. I had room service twice under "take out" which I found very convenient. The first time my meal was pretty good for a hotel restaurant but the second time not only I had to call again to find the status of my food it was overcooked. Front desk staff except for one individual was very helpful and friendly. My room was very clean, big and comfortable. I will stay here again because the airport is really close.

Ideal for a "night before" your flight from Calgary Airport. We arrived a bit before checkin time but the room was ready for us. It was a very modern room and well equipped with coffee machine and suchlike but we like tea and, after a quick call to the front desk, an electric kettle was in our room as quick as a flash! Without extra charge. To reduce hassle before our flight the next day, and we had time, we decided to return our rental car that afternoon. No problem. Once at the car rental, with the returns all done, we telephoned the hotel and their car came and picked us up without extra charge. Very smooth. We decided to try dinner at the hotel and were very pleasantly surprised. Not the Ritz but very tasty and well prepared food. The restaurant area is the backend of the lobby but it wasn't a problem. Very good service with a smile, and a very fair price. Breakfast in the same area and omelettes cooked to order with a smile. Do try. Strawberries on offer when we were there, juice from a machine, and do it yourself waffles and toaster, with brown bread. Yogurts in a fridge within the central island. There was a selection of pastries and enough food to set you up for your flight, and constantly being restocked. More smiles from the staff. Our flight was not until the afternoon and an hours extension to our checkout time was happily given when requested. On demand the hotel car took us to the airport, at no extra charge. A very pleasant stay with excellent service.

BW Premier Freeport Inn and Suites is an amazing property. Rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. We have stayed here a number of times and always first rate experience. Shuttle to and from the airport is reliable, clean and convenient. Breakfast - non better anywhere. On site restaurant excellent food at reasonable prices. Something for everyone - even a children's menu. Front desk staff are courteous, friendly, approachable, and helpful.

We were super happy but everything about our stay. The room was nice and comfortable, the staff is very friendly. But the Highlight was the pool and waterslide for our 3 year old. And the breakfast was quite extensive with an omelet station, waffles, oatmeal and cereal. And very friendly staff.

2nd time staying here in a week. Staff so friendly, especially Shanda. Was upgraded to suite due to rewards status. Room had separate sitting area, king size bed and fireplace... nice. Breakfast is excellent, including made to order omelet and wide selection of breakfast items. Hotel is 5 min from airport and great for over nite stay. Not to close to downtown Calgary. Overall, nice stay.

The hotel was very clean and very welcoming- welcomed me by name as we came in the door! The restaurant was excellent- very good food and the waitress (Ina) was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends. Breakfast was great- an omelet station with fresh ingredients! The next time we are in Calgary we will definitely be staying here.

I would recommend this Best Western Premire Freeport Inn & Suites to y'all. My wife & I stay here as it is close to the airport. It is handy for that purpose. If you have an early flight they will also give you a bag breakfast for you before your flight. That has always come in handy.
