Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn

Everything we needed was accommodated. Late check out, bigger room, extra towels, etc. Everyone was super accommodating and friendly and rooms were immaculate and pool area and fitness centre were clean.

We are from SK and not "city people". We were in for the Flames game, and, after 12 hours of driving, were greeted by the friendly front desk people we have seen in a long time. Dave went above and beyond with all of us, including suggesting places close by to eat and calling a taxi for us. We will stay there again!

Treated like a VIP from first entering the hotel. The hotel appeared to be brand new and was crisp,shiny and gorgeous in every way. Dan, the greeting manager at the front desk was outstanding and exudes genuine warmth, compassion and outstanding customer service to follow through with the VIP treatment. This will be our go to hotel in the coming years every time we come to Calgary.

We love staying at this location. It is 6 minutes from the MNP center, which is our reason for visiting Calgary. They have a great Breakfast, great front desk staff and they are very accommodating to our team's needs. The only thing that is not amazing about this very clean hotel is the pool is slightly underwhelming. The rooms are big, and very clean and the location is perfect.

We stayed here for only 1 night as we had an early morning appt. The front desk staff all around were very courteous and kind. The hotel was clean. The breakfast got a lot of points with options for myself and my kiddos. The kids used the pool and it was clean as well. We would stay here again.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. We had been travelling for over 18 hours, due to flight interruptions, an we arrived a day later than planned. The hotel staff changed our reservation with no charge and ado allowed us to check in a couple hours early for some needed rest. I would certainly stay at this hotel again:

Always love staying here. Greeted by Dan and his smile is so welcoming. Rooms are always clean. Property is always well maintained. Location is just off Downtown so works well for any visit to Calgary.

Staff was extremely helpful and kind. The rooms were clean, with lots of room and bathrooms were a good size and clean. Beds are also comfy. I would definitely return to this hotel again. Breakfast could use some improvements.

Hotel was great and close to the Holy Cross Hospital./ Staff were all wonderful. Hotel is well situated close to downtown and restaurants. Ordered in food that worked very well. Breakfast was fine, theroom was awesome, king bed, etc.

Very helpful staff, well maintained facility, clean and in good repair. Front desk were terrific right from when I booked until I left. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Beds and pillows are great.

The hotel is close to a station to get train into town but the road it's on is pretty grim with 3 lanes of traffic in both directions. There's nothing to see locally other than fast food outlets, car shops and sadly quite a lot of people who clearly aren't well / need some support. The rooms are quite dated, aircon was poor, lots of noise from the rod and the pool was dirty and therefore we didn't use. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and it's a 15 mins stroll to the stampede if you're in town for that.

Stayed at BW to attend a concert at the Saddledome and to visit family. The dome is 3 c-train stops away. The hotel is a quick walk to c-train station. Breakfast was on point as per at this BW. The pool and hot tub area are well kept and nice to use. Could use an adult swim only time, just to have it a bit more relaxing at the end of the day.

We stayed here because it was 1/2 hr from Calaway Park. Staff was great and hotel was very clean. Pool has no slide and was kind of dark being on a lower level but it was salt water. It was nice to have a microwave and bar sized fridge.

Fantastic staff who were really helpful, lovely room and nice breakfast. Great location as it's a short walk to 39th Ave Calgary TD which gets you into the heart of the city. They were happy to let us leave our hired Harley Davidson close to the main entrance.

I was in Calgary for the marathon, the start of which was an easy walk from the hotel. The staff were very accommodating, the room was comfortable, and I would recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a room convenient to the Stampede grounds. If you're travelling light, the walk from the 300 (airport) bus stop is not too far.

Excellent hotel for all services. When we were leaving, we discovered our car had a flat tire. I was unable to remove the lug nuts from the flattened tire. The front desk arranged for their maintenance person to come and help and he was able to remove the lug nuts and so the spare could be used. He did not accept any payment, saying it was part of the hotel being able to help one of its guests. Thank you to Ryan and the front desk staff for facilitating.

Recently spent 3 nights at this hotel, centrally located, close to downtown, transit and a variety of activites. Hotel is a bit dated but holding up really well, all amenities were available and great. Really impressed with desk staff on checkin.

Macleod trail is very loud with no sound proofing, the hall is loud, the rooms are large and nice but it's AWFUL if you have perfume allergies or MCS. Didn't accommodate at all, got no sleep and a lot of immune system issues.

This is very conveniently located to downtown Calgary - less than 10 minutes away - with parking and breakfast both included. The staff were very friendly, and upgraded us to a king whirlpool, as well as lending us a snow brush in the morning (first snowfall of the year). Great experience. We will likely be back for future Calgary trips.

We would recommend this hotel clean, updated and awesome Breakfast. Location the BMO Centre, LRT behind hotel, and town, would be nice for a restaurant at hotel. Would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel and stay again in the future.

I stay here all the time and it's always been great easy access and quick to get anywhere, staff is always very helpful and kind close to the stampede and flames games close to mall and downtown very happy

We had a great 2-night stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, our room was clean and the amenities were excellent. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Stay here......you won't regret it!

We stayed only 1 night but enjoyed our stay. Room was nice and we had a nice hot breakfast the next morning. Only suggestion is to provide some water bottles in the room during hot summer months. Good overall experience.

The hotel is conveniently located, reasonably priced and appears to be fairly recently renovated. That is the three dots on the score above. They lost the last to dots on the rating because when they renovated they did not replace the original wall mount air conditioning units. I heard two distinct clicks from the thermostat and then that T37 Russian tank aircon unit would kick in and it was a beast. I got 20 to 30 minutes of peace between cycles of thunder. I eventually had to shut it of and strip off the top bedding to sleep in a hot room. Will NOT make that mistake again!

We had A bad experience happened at the lobby of Best Western Plus Macleod Trail branch with the rude receptionist Dan working 3pm to 11 pm shift. My family 3 adults 2 toddlers and I checked in to this hotel last July 31,2022. We are not from Calgary but we have few friends here and I let them know that we are staying here. I invited them to come over because we have not seen each other for a very long time. Three of my friends came in with their husbands and kids (three toddlers in total). We decided to use the indoor pool so the kids could have fun. But, what expected to be an enjoyable stay turned out to be a nightmare. I could not sleep last night thinking of the traumatic experience I and my friends had. We only spent an hour at the pool and decided to leave as soon as the people are coming in to enjoy this amenity. Then my friends waited outside my room while I am getting ready so we could head out for dinner. While I was struggling to get my toddler back to the room and all my friends are there on the hallway by the elevator, he suddenly came to us in a very arrogant way and in an angry tone asking if my friends are checked in or are coming as guests. I told him that they are my hotel guests. He continued to say in a loud voice that we should not use the pool if we are not hotel guests, and that we are very disrespectful. He further commented that he felt very disrespected that 15-20 non-paying guests used the pool and the towels and none left for other guests and he has to restock. He insisted that we used all the towels there. We only used four towels in total and in fact, there were not enough stocks of towels when we came in. A few guests have been there too and used the towels. He kept on saying I invited 15-20 people in the hotel. I have a video to prove how many people really used the swimming pool. He embarrassed me to tears in front of my friends and other guests passing by. He reprimanded me like I am a toddler. Where in fact, he could have approach me privately and inform me of what should have been done. The tone of his voice and the words that he stated felt humiliating and extremely rude. I felt that I was belittled and my friends were left speechless because they were shocked of the treatment we received. I was very calm and apologetic for I know that I also have a mistake of not asking permission before using the pool (which I think would be okay). I don't think I and any guest deserve to be treated like that. As a paying costumer, I don't deserve to be harassed verbally and emotionally. I am willing to pay for the pool usage and I am sorry I did not know the policy. Furthermore, what was really insulting was when he even told me that he will tell the breakfast buffet tomorrow to watch out for those 15-20 people as I may have a plan to invite my friends again for breakfast. I am hoping that there will be a resolution regarding this complaint and this situation will not be experienced again by any of your guest. I felt very stressed after what he said to the point that at night and next day I feel like I am going to have a miscarriage. I am emotionally harassed and I physically suffered. I am 6months pregnant and Dan is a 6ft tall guy working as a front desk but a bully and very unprofessional.

I was luck to get the last room at this BW as it is only a 10-15 min walk to the fair grounds. Book waay ahead and you'll get a better price. If you dont have a rental car the C-train station is 5min away. There is no restaurant attached or close by. So having a car is a plus. There is a McD's 5min away but nicer eating places would be a 10-15min walk ,

Clean rooms. Very helpful staff. Pool was basic but clean, with hot tub also. Breakfast large, fresh, kept well stocked between guests. Had trouble with bathtub drain that was not well resolved by staff but it eventually drained on its own.

The staff are exceptional here and we always feel welcome and comfortable with our stay. When we are required to stay in Calgary we only stay here. the brooms are always clean and worry free. the breakfast and internet have never let us down and we have been coming to this hotel for well over 10 years now.

We are extremely happy experiencing our 4 nights of stay in this hotel. Hotel was clean, comfortable well organized and the bedroom is big. The food is great. All the staff were friendly, approachable and greeted us with their beautiful smiles.

My room was great overall minus the noise that came from the bathroom sink. Unable to fix while I was there. Check in was great, check out was not. The pool and hot tub are amazing. It's close to McDonald's and Tim Hortons

Dapper Dan at the front desk made our stay what it was and that is Fantastic. Humour and kindness all rolled into one. Best Western hold on to this employee. He is a gem. We will be back and will by booking at this best western. Cleanliness I will give a 3.5 as the one bed did not look like it was cleaned very well. Breakfast had a huge selection and the kitchen looked clean. Decor was nice. Parking lot was safe

Excellent helpful staff and housekeeping. This a modest looking BW with an awkward parking lot entrance, but well worth the effort. We have been repeat customers for many years for good reason. Deserving of our recommendation.

Great place to stay. Central location with free parking. Super clean room and hot breakfast with lots of options. Staff were great. Beds very comfortable. Great pool area for kids while parents enjoyed their morning coffee.

The bed was a little sunk in but the rooms were clean and the breakfast was great for the kids. Guest services was awesome! I'd definitely come back for another visit. I didn't really want to leave just yet!

Wonderful stay in Calgary BW Excellent location close to Saddledome with easy access to C Train to get downtown. Pool was great and hot tub even better! Loved our 2 day stay!!! Got to meet tons of family we had never seen before!!

Love staying at Best Western Calgary Centre Inn. The staff are all friendly and helpful! It is renovated, clean and close to the Saddledome and downtown Calgary. We were very pleased with the comfortable bed as well.

Decent amenities, friendly and helpful staff. The food is hot, and the pool has a nice sky light window area for sun bathing if you wish. The gym is small, but well maintained, and the pool, whirlpool and hot tub are in good repair. The pool, gym and eating areas are all in the lower level, but with the elevator and two sets of stairwells there is easy access.

The hotel staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to meet our requests for the weekend stay. The hotel is newly and beautifully renovated. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast meal offerings were healthy and tasty.

The room decor was modern, very clean and spacious. Great hot breakfast buffet. Did not use the pool/hot tub but it looked very nice. Nice central area. Will definitely stay here in future and highly recommend.

I stay there once a year for work and have always had a good stay. I had some team members with me on this trip and makes me look good when I am able to put them up at a nice place. All 3 rooms were good and we all enjoyed our stay. Shout out to Dan at the front desk. Your exceptional service is appreciated.

This lovely hotel exceeded my expectations. Centrally located; at first, glance looks like not a lot of parking but don't let that fool you as there are lots located behind the building. Great, beautiful clean room! Great breakfast! Excellent customer service! Mcdonald and Tim Hortons down the block and fairly close to Chinook Centre.

My sons swim competitively and the location of this hotel to Repsol Place(5 minute drive) is great. The breakfast in the mornings has a lot of choices, and the staff is always accommodating to us and if we have a request, it gets handled quickly. The rooms are a good size, internet is fine and generally it is always a positive experience for a family.

Lovely room, great location, friendly staff. Free parking. Would stay here again! Very handy to 17th Ave pubs and restaurants. We were able to walk 1-2 blocks to everything we needed. Got a free upgrade too. We very much enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

We enjoyed one night at this hotel recently. It was clean and quiet and had delicious hot/cold breakfast selections. The pool looked inviting, although we did not get a chance to enjoy it. All staff were helpful and friendly. There was lots of parking at the back. If you are coming south on Macleod Trail, the entrance into the hotel is a little bit confusing since you have to turn left onto 36 Ave SE and an immediate left turn into a small street - do not cross the railroad tracks even though the street looks more like a laneway. This will take you to the back of the hotel.

Very friendly check in staff. Large room and all very clean. Beds extremely comfortable. There was plenty of parking around the back of the hotel. Not sure why someone said there was not much parking. The breakfast was plentiful and much appreciated. We could walk into downtown Calgary easily. All in all I highly recommend this hotel. Well done.

All I really wanted in a hotel, as my needs are quite simple. I wanted a clean, comfortable room. I wanted the breakfast and the possible use of the pool/hot tub. That's it. It was close to the venue I was attending, so the short trip to/from was quick. The beds are nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was typical 3-piece, but very clean.

Front desk staff was very friendly! We stayed in a King Suite, which was roomy and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The parking at the hotel was not good and it was noisy from the traffic on the busy street, however I would stay here again.

Exceeded expectations. Friendly staff. Were provided with an upgrade upon check-in. Clean lobby and room. Room larger than expected with a seating area. Comfortable mattress. Breakfast offered fantastic hot and cold selections. Located a short drive to Chinook mall and local breweries. Didn't realize we were so close to Stampede park as well. Free parking. Plenty of hand sanitizer around and signage reminding people that one family group should take the elevator at a time. Disliked: Pillows could have been a bit softer. Declined the express checkout so we could pay cash in the morning, but payment was processed in the night.

Best Western is always our go-to for a comfortable, clean, and best stay for your money hotel. The breakfast is always a great start with a wonderful selection, the pool area is fun and well looked after and the rooms are clean, well stocked.

Great location close to main areas, the staff are so helpful and the rooms are always tidy. The surrounding area is a little rough and there is no secured parking. They have parking lots in front and behind the building, you definitely want a spot in front. Breakfast and pool is always great and clean!

We stayed just one night, check in was fast and effective. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable bed and great amenities in the bathroom. The area in the hotel is in is within a few minutes drive to many restaurants and a park with a walking trail along the river.

We came to go to the Calgary Stampede and the proximity was fantastic we walked there in about 15 minutes. We were close to everything, the room was very clean internet was flawless. The hotel staff were great, helpful with directions and anything else we needed

I gotta tell you, after being on the motorcycle for 13 hours these gentlemen made me feel extey welcome. Very helpful. It was during the Calgary Stampede, a very busy time for everyone in the hospitality buisness and they took the time to answer all my questions. They let me park my motorcycle up buy the door so they could keep and eye on it. Above and beyond customer service. I will be staying here again when I pass through

We stayed here on our family vacation to the Calgary Stampede. The central location of the hotel is perfect for getting to different parts of the city. The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. This is a great hotel.

This hotel was great! The room and hotel itself is very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our remote control was not working and a staff member brought a replacement for us immediately. The hotel had a great location as well

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in , 1st the advertised amenities they werent offering, i ended up booking 2 rooms for a family and friend trip , coming almost 7hrs to the hotel with kids looking forward to pool and gym time, to be informed at the front desk that pool is under maintainance for a long time and gym is closed to everyone, which was the exact reason i choose this hotel. This wasnt the worst , were checked in to a room already occupied , and the kept moving us , Day 2 AC stoped working and we were moved again. This dint even cut it on check out the mixed up the credit card wrongly authirised cards until now am waiting for a 484cad reversal. It was a bad experience, breakfast was crapy.

I always feel like I've come home when I arrive here. The clerk at the desk remembers me and we 'catch up' on life and happenings in Calgary. Such an wonderful experience. The rooms are always spotless, and the decor is calming and in good repair. I have always been offered extra assistance with whatever it is that I need in the hotel or in the surrounding areas. It is my home away from home.

Great place to stay for business travel. Due to current restrictions in province, no amenities available for use. Clean comfortable rooms at a very reasonable price. Despite the distance to my worksite, I still chose this location as Best Western is always able to meet expectations.

I really enjoyed my visit, the hotel staff were very helpful and the room was amazing. I had a nice relaxing evening and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub very much. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice relaxing atmosphere.

I enjoyed my stay in Feb 2021. The staff was amazing (even offered extra towels with the kids and the jacuzzi). Room was clean. Bed was AMAZING; I slept better than I have in ages. Very COVID-conscious space with plexi-glass partitions at the desk, signs in the elevator saying just one family or group, hand sanitizer provided at all main doorways/elevators.

The front desk staff were friendly & helpful in answering any questions. All staff & visitors wore masks & hand sanitizer was available. Restrictions were posted regarding use of elevator. Feel every effort was made to make our stay safe. Because of covid coffee & a bagged breakfast which you take to your room was provided. The bagged breakfast was perfectly fine. Rooms are spacious & very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Ryan and Dan made a very tough time for me extremely comfortable and enjoyable. I was in the hotel because of a flood in my apartment, To say they both went above and beyond any expectations is an understatement. They were both so professional and yet so caring and understanding of the uncertainty I was dealing with. Dan offered me an extended check out on my original day of departure, then extended my stay when I received word my place would not be done at the original target date. I was brought fresh towels to my room when my stay was extended and they were so accommodating. Both Ryan and Dan addressed me by name when I arrived home from work or stepped off the elevator. I have never felt so much at home when away from home, as I did staying at this hotel. Special thanks to both of you! I really hope your company appreciates you as much as I do! :)

Located close to city centre and only a block away from C Train. Very quiet. Cannot hear outside noise at all. Comfortable and clean. Awesome employees. Very friendly. Breakfast was modified but good.

We were so unimpressed and underwhelmed with this property. First, the hotel check-in staff guy A did not inform us that housekeeping would NOT enter into our room during our stay. There was also nothing stating that in the rooms, however there was a print media that said if we want fresh linens to put them on the floor. Second: there was hair on our bathroom floor and in the clean towels. There was spilled liquor in our mini fridge. There was bloody snot on the front of the bathroom door and something else as well. Third: our jacuzzi tub was broken. The control panel wasn't working well and was displaying EO1 and when the jets turned on it sounded like there was a fighter jet engine in our room. Forth: The TV picture was incredibly blurry. Fifth: when the staff guy B was informed by me that the jacuzzi tub was not functioning properly he told me I was wrong and that is how jacuzzis operate. Then when my spouse told the same staff (guy B) he informed my spouse that he would have Maintenance check the tub while we were out. We also informed guy Bof the housekeeping issues and were told it would be taken care of while we were out as well. When we arrived back at the hotel 9hrs later nothing was done. I went back downstairs to the lobby and told the other front desk staff ( guy C) about all of our problems and he was genuinely sorry and wanted to solve the issue. He informed us that we were supposed to be told that due to COVID the staff don't enter the rooms and if we need something we just need to contact the front desk. He switched our room to the other jacuzzi room and apologized that that wasn't done sooner as the room was vacant and blocked off. So we move to the other room and there are hairs in the tub. I cleaned it up. And the tub worked fine. During checkout I also informed Guy B that we found hairs in the jacuzzi and there wasn't even an apology. I don't believe I was given the room rate for my best western rewards either. The front parking lot is incredibly small and incredibly difficult to park when you have a large truck like me. So we tried to park in the back parking lot and the back entry door was broken and there was entrance in the back.

Wow, I am beyond astonished coming into the Best Western hotel we were greeted with a huge smile and outstanding customer service. Our room was so clean upon arrival and the jacuzzi In our room was the nicest one I've ever used in any hotel! Kudos to a great development and business- would definitely recommend to anyone!!

We arrived Saturday afternoon to a spotless Hotel, greeted warmly and felt incredibly safe with the covid-19 prevention measures The room was quiet, the jacuzzi tub was clean and wonderful, the bed was incredibly comfortable and everyone in the hotel was super friendly Front desk agent Dan (I believe his name?) had excellent service skills and was funny and knowledgeable Our room was newly renovated Impressed all around. My favorite for value and location in Calgary. Close in to Downtown for business and easy access to connecting roads -north, south, east and west. The owner and his employees truly care for your well being and safety during these Covid times. The room was meticulously cleaned and all common areas were clean and comfortable. Parking and hotel access are good and close to major shopping and restaurants. I recommend this property 5 star in all aspects of quality.

Resonably priced room for location. Nice staff, check in was easy, room was clean. My only complaint is there was about 6 rooms sold in the entire hotel and they put someone above our family that were not interested in going to sleep. We called and asked at 11:30pm if they could just kindly ask them, but unfortunately the noise of loud feet and banging around didn't stop, I finally fell asleep at 2:30 and woken up again by the noise at 6:30-7am, so I'm not entirely sure if they even stopped at all.

Stayed for a night with family. The front desk was very nice and check in was a breeze. The room was clean. We had a good sleep through out the night. The breakfast was good and offered a lot of options.

I stayed for one week at the BW Calgary - great hotel...the staff was super friendly and helpful. They knew my name from the minute I checked in. Nice to have the free breakfast open until 10:00 weekdays - especially when on a leisurely holiday. Great location and clean hotel. Highly recommended.

Bacon at a continental breakfast is always a hit for me. Overall, the hotel was excellent and I will be staying here again. The only complaint I have is that the weights machine in the fitness centre needs some lubrication; otherwise, no concerns.

I was blown away with the sincere and professional greeting upon check in. I travel a lot and this hotel greeted me as good or better better than any high end hotel. The upgraded rooms are quite nice and the hotel is very quiet given the proximity to Mcleod Trail.

We traveled with our sports team and chose this hotel based on price and location. We did not have much for expectations going in due to the issues we had had with the group booking person. She was not very helpful, and made the process difficult. However once we arrived the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We checked in and the cot we requested was not in the room so the front desk staff went and grabbed it right then. We enjoy sitting up and having done adult time once our kids are in bed and the staff had no problem with us invading their lobby. And I won't forget to mention the beds!! They were absolutely amazing!

Great location, friendly staff, and clean tons. Great breakfast, comfy beds. Big kitchenettes, lots of room in the single bed suites, or the double bed. I would recommend this place to anyone. Wish it had a hot tub.

Close to downtown, convenient parking, good morning breakfast with good staff, very clean and well maintained. Small fitness facility but catches most needs. Small pool but good addition for a change up in exercise. Hot tub a great relaxer.

Had a business trip to south Calgary. Stayed two nights, room was very comfortable, bed was outstanding. Breakfast was very enjoyable, hot and with lots of selection. Staff very friendly and helpful. Greated me each time I arrived back at the hotel. The room was clean. Great stay

The hotel, which has been at this site for many years, has just completed a major renovation. The results are most pleasing. We were startled to see a pair of beautiful, caramel-coloured domesticated rabbits (probably let go by someone who was moving away from Calgary) on the grass verge, just inches away from the constant stream of busy traffic on Macleod Trail! I must compliment the staff at the front desk. They are unfailingly courteous and friendly. The gentleman on duty when we arrived (late) even recognized me from previous stays. The hotel is in a good location if you need to do some shopping at the nearby Chinook Mall.

I stay at many hotels threw out the year. This hotel is very clean and well staffed . The renovations looks amazing and my room was so cleaned I loved it :) the breakfast was decent and the gym and pool are great . Hands down I'd stay here again

Very good central hotel for business or pleasure. Great service. I am a Best Western Platinum member and the room upgrade was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. Nixe hot breakfast included in the morning. The advice from the front desk on good dining close by was excellent. This is the first time I have stayed at this Best Western and I will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here before and the main reason we had chosen this property was location and the fact it was not as costly as staying downtown. Back then it was just ok. NOW with the renovation, we were very happy with our stay. The gentleman at the front counter was very courteous and friendly. The bed was comfortable, the room was well appointed and clean. Kudos to the brand for implementing the wipeable remote! The breakfast included is similar to other brands but provided enough selection. I will definitely stay here again.

Fair price close to down town. Comfy Beds, helpful staff, close to restaurants. Clean rooms, good coffee, nice breakfast. newly renovated, hot tub, swimming pool. Showers had lots of hot water, and good water pressure.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The front desk service was exceptional. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was clean. It is a great location with plenty of parking. Once pool area for the kids. Not much to complain about. I would stay here again next time I am in Calgary.

Easy to find, spacious rooms, very clean. Breakfast has nice selection & organized nicely. Reasonably priced hotel with amenities one would expect. Traffic noise is there but not to the extent that it disrupts sleep.

I have been staying at the Best Western Calgary Centre Inn for the past 15 or more years. The staff are fantastic, often going above and beyond to be of assistance. It is in a good location, close to shopping and attractions.

This hotel is clean and near train service into downtown Calgary, but the area is unattractive and depressing. Noisy room at the front due to construction work opposite the hotel. Room was large and clean. Very disappointing and poor breakfast - having stayed at another BW in Canada a few days earlier the contrast couldn't have been more marked. Limited breakfast options, v little choice and no sign of staff to clear etc. I would t stay here again.

Very nice and clean hotel, recently updated. Amenities were great, breakfast was great, wifi a little sketchy but other than that we had a great stay uncomfy clean beds and a clean and well priced room!

I had a 530am meeting in Calgary - we arrived late and were somewhat disappointed that we would miss the free breakfast in the morning. The kind front desk clerk took us down to the breakfast room that night and we were able to grab a few pieces of fruit and juice for the morning. I really appreciated that extra touch - great hotel. It was also easy to access my meeting at the BMO Centre. The beds and pillows were comfortable and I had a great sleep too!

The wife and I are points members so we always stay at Best Western hotels when we need a room. The front desk staff was excellent... friendly informative and very helpful. Our room was upgraded to a King suite due to our point status. It was big and clean and actually newly renovated. Only complaint was it was on the backside of the hotel where the LRT trains run back and forth. Not overly noisy but could be heard. Would definitely stay again.

I love staying at Best Western branded hotels. Always a good stay. My stay at this location met and exceeded my expectations. Being a diamond select member, I was offered points or a goodie bag - I chose points. I was also upgraded to a larger, quiet, corner room. The room was quite large, king bed, pull out couch, desk, chair, huge bathroom. I was quite pleased. Breakfast was great - pancakes and waffles, fruit, yogurt, tons of cereal and gluten free cereal too. A variety of juices, teas, coffees. The mango passion fruit juice was sooo delicious! There was a large pool too with wading pool and hot tub. I didn't take advantage of it - got in too late. Breakfast was until 10 - which was awesome and didn't have to rush too much in the morning. I recommend this hotel - close to downtown, right next to The Calgary Stampede, close to Chinook Mall. Felt very safe. Thanks for a nice stay! Will be back soon.

Our room was recently renovated and it shows. Beautiful, clean and spacious room with comfortable beds. The bathtub/shower combo is great for those travelling with young children as well as the children's wading pool. We personally enjoyed the whirlpool hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful - the make-your-own pancake and waffle station is an excellent idea and comes with fresh fruit and whipped cream. High-speed wifi was reliable and you can connect up to 6 devices per room. Front desk staff was super friendly and welcoming. Couldn't ask for a more conveniently located hotel with free parking. Just one suggestion - add USB port station to the rooms!

They have nearly finished renovations. The rooms are very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Handy location to all downtown activities, without being right downtown. The free parking is handy. Very good breakfast. The pool and hot tub look great, but we didn't have a chance to use them.

This is a great hotel with super staff. The only reason it did not get 5 stars was the fact that it is currently undergoing refurbishment. This in no way disturbed us but the fitness room was unavailable.

Everything from start to finish was excellent. Great checkin, clean tastefully decorated room, comfortable bed, good WiFi, and hot breakfast was tasty with lots of variety. Helpful friendly staff. Would stay there again if in the area.

I stayed at this hotel while in town for my daughters basketball tournament, checking on was quick and easy, the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and very helpful! The room was spotless, and the pull out bed had a very comfortable memory foam mattress! The room seemed to have been renovated and modernized! I will only stay here when staying in Calgary from now on!

Great hotel. Room is very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I was expecting a basic continental breakfast but was surprised to find waffles pancakes mini omelets and sausage and bacon. Breakfast starts early so I could finish and get on my way.

This hotel room that we've stayed was newly renovated. Everything was clean and the breakfast was great. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. I love their waddling pool for my tot to play. Overall a great experience!

Good location, your 5mins tops from downtown..They have parking spaces front and back of hotel. Their free help your self breakfest is very nice, clean, and organized. Our room had 2 queen beds for wife/me and 5yr son, so lots of space for us.

I had 2 rooms for 7 guests, the rooms were dirty and the shower heads were inefffective with poor water pressure. We will pay extra next time for a suitable hotel. We frequently stay in Calgary and this was our worst stay yet.

Hotel, clean, fast and friendly check in and out. LRT at rear of hotel, noisy until midnight. Suitable dine in food services no close, walking distance. bed sheets were rough not too comfortable, I always stay at BW and have had very restful nights.

We stayed in this hotel because it is very close to the Scotia Saddledome. The staff are very friendly & professional. It was very fast checking in & checking out. The room was big & clean & the bed was very comfortable. One thing I wish they had bigger pillows. They are comfortable but almost look like a big cushion. Breakfast was good & had plenty of selection. We will probably stay in this hotel again.

The service here has consistently been the best over the last 3 years I've been coming here. I've not had a single negative experience and the continental breakfast is well worth it for how low a rate they offer. Before the renovations, the rooms were still more than acceptable in my opinion, but post renovation they have exceeded expectations in a big way.

Great room, nice breakfast, great pool, only thing we didn't like, small fitness centre, with a treadmill that wasn't working so great. The TV kept pixelating (sp?) and kind of bad connection, but nothing horribly upsetting, we chalked it up to the renovations going on, but the renovations didn't interfere with our stay otherwise. I would go here again though.

Dan B. is an exceptional employee. He went out of his way to help us. He was knowledgeable, helpful and we were impressed by his good service! The room was quiet, clean and the breakfast very good. We will stay here again. The location was close to our venue.

A good, straight forward, modern hotel located close to downtown. Very convenient and easy access to many Calgary services. C-train station a couple of blocks away if you want to move around without the car. The only downside is the C-train running by the hotel if you are on the backside (traffic on Macleod Trail on the frontside). The rooms are pretty sound proof, but you can still hear them somewhat going by.... did not bother us, though. Good parking, good staff, good breakfast, good beds.... all round a great place to stay.

The checkin and friendliness at the front desk makes this stay memorable. He was terrific and went beyond our expectations. Great value for being close to the Stampede grounds and very quiet. Beds were comfortable with lots of pillows.

We went to Calgary for an appointment at Foothills Hospital, and decided to stay over night to go to a hockey game. This location was very easy to get to the rink from. Also not that difficult from the hospital.

I have spent many nights in hotels in this area and this one is by far the best in my opinion along Macleod Trail. The staff were friendly and the appearance of the hotel was nice. I stayed on the main floor nearest to the lobby and I heard no noise from the area. I took advantage of the pool & hot tub with no complaints.

I usually don't leave a ton of reviews unless a place is a dump, they've lied about their property, or they are stellar. This place is STELLAR! We travel a fair bit, both for pleasure, & my husband travels for work. (& I go with him) This property is by far the best overall hotel we stay in! We started coming here in 2015. We had traveled the 2 years before to Calgary for the Calgary Expo, & stayed in two different hotels, neither were any good. Dirty, too expensive, poor amenities, etc., so in 2015, we tried this place. Wow! First off, it's VERY close to the Stampede Grounds/Saddledome. The staff is always SO friendly & accommodating! The hotel is always clean & modern- AND they've done updates/renovations since our last visit! Not sure why, as it was much nicer than most BEFORE renos! The breakfast is plentiful, with a lot to choose from, both hot & cold. The beds are comfortable & rooms modern & CLEAN. We LOVE the pool & hot tub, & the pool is literally the best temperature. This is a place we visit once a year, (one time twice in a year) yet they recognize us immediately! It's so great to be greeted by a friendly face, someone who truly seems happy to see you! My only real complaint, (& it's not about the hotel itself or staff) is there are only two handicapped parking spots. I am in a wheelchair, so I need that spot. Yet they are ALWAYS full. I have mentioned this yearly, & would like them to add at least 2 more spots. They could add one on each side, which considering how many rooms they have, wouldn't be a big deal. It IS an inconvenience, but one we are willing to deal with, considering how great the hotel is. I know how tough it is to find a really great hotel, but we lucked out! Speaking of my wheelchair, I have to add that the staff has gone above & beyond for me every single time. They are always willing to put me wherever I ask. When I'm out on my own, (without my husband) they're willing to help with anything I need. I consider this place VERY disability friendly! Because the hotel has elevators, all rooms are accessible to me, & they also have accessible rooms. Yet if I request the main floor, that's where I am. We already have our room booked for this April, & can't WAIT to see everyone, & the new renovations! They look amazing! I highly recommend this hotel. The rates are reasonable, and even GREAT when you consider the level of class the staff has, & the clean, comfortable rooms! See you in April! The Sudsbears

An all round fabulous stay. From the super, friendly staff at check in, to the beautifully upgraded renovated room. The breakfast was fantastic, hot eggs and waffles and really good coffee. The pool area was spotless. Will stay at this hotel again and again.

Close to downtown and currently being renovated. We were lucky to get a new room and everything was great. Service was awesome as well. Breakfast has a variety of food for everyone to enjoy. This hotel is going to awesome once the renovations are done as some areas still smell like cigarette smoke. Overall great stay.

Clean but a bit dated. Great breakfast with choice of hot items. The pool area consists of the big pool, hot tub and a shallow pool for kids. There are many restaurants around. Very close to stampede place.

Everyone that works there. Front desk... Bonnie, Dan, Ryan, Armando, And another guy that works weekend mornings can't remember his name. Breakfast room staff. House keeping all that i had mentioned are all great very polite and helpful anytime you have a question or need something they are right there doing what they can to help out in anyway possible. Always gretting guests when they are leaving and returning from a night out or what ever it might be. They make your stay worth staying here and feeling comfortable to talk to them at the front desk and housekeeping and breakfast staff. Just all in all a great bunch of people that work here. Except for one person not a very friendly person at all. Thank you. :)

We were attending a concert at the Saddledome in Calgary. This place was only a 3 minute drive from there. Check-in was a breeze, Interior decorating through out was beautiful. Breakfast was great. Beds were comfy. Loved it.

Very friendly on check in, clean rooms, and good hot breakfast the next morning, Bacon, eggs, waffles and so much more. Nice quiet stay. Didn't have a chance to hit the hot tub but definitely will next time.

It was a great stay at the Best Western Plus, Calgary, I got a free upgrade and the room was amazing and everything was clean and neat, The staff is courteous. ample parking space, very close the the train station and Public transit.

I stay have stayed at this property several dozen times over the past 5 years. I keep coming back for three reasons. First of all, the hotel is clean. I have never had an issue with my room not being clean. Second reason is for the quietness. I like to stay on the side facing east as it is quiet. You do see or hear the LRT trains running by, by don't find it a distraction at all. It's rather calming. Third reason is the friendliness of the staff. I have always been greeted warmly by the staff. I know some of them very well since I stay here on a regular basis. It is hard to find a good hotel these days, but I recommend this one for sure!

After reading several reviews about the hotel I decided to give it a try and was very pleased with my choice.The room was everything I expected it to be. (Huge, very clean, not noisy at all) and above all is the employees were very helpful in all my needs. The service i got was excellent and the pool area was great. All-in-all, we were very satisfied with our stay. We would stay here again in the future and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is a great location, lots of parking. Large rooms , great beds, and large bathroom. Very close to Stampede Park, Chinook Centre.The front desk clerks greet you with a smile and are very helpful.

The hotel was clean and everyone there did their best to help us. For what we had to do in Calgary this location was very good. The check in staff(Mr. Mo) was fun and very helpful and gave us directions to where we needed to go.

since I found this hotel about 5 years ago, i have always went back, each time the staff have become good friends. Although the hotel is a little dated its still has awesome qualities in the room and staff that take care of this hotel

Excellent service, great personnel at the checkout and great food. Location was ideal for us and easy to find. Motel was clean and beds were comfortable. We had a great nights sleep and it was very quiet and peaceful.

I had initially booked for my wife and myself. However my son, daughter-in-law and 2 month old baby decided to join us later. We informed the hotel of this change in plan. My son and family arrived quite late that evening. The staff at the front desk were very helpful with their luggage and in directing them to our room. The room with two queen beds, was spacious enough for all of us and we had a comfortable night. The next morning we all had breakfast and left. Expecting to pay more for the additional guests I was very surprised that they did not charge us any extra. It just felt good to have had a good stay with the family at a very resonable cost.

Decided to spend the night in Calgary instead of driving home. I like staying at this hotel as it is clean, provides a real breakfast and is close to downtown Calgary. The pool and hot tub are clean and the staff is very accommodating of requests.

I opted to use Uber service while in the city and very happy with the professional of them.I would recommend to anyone with business in the downtown area and Stampede grounds. I'm a smoker and enjoyed finding a hotel that still overs rooms for smokers.

Great stay, staff friendly, the breakfast was hot, not bad for someone who doesn't eat eggs and bacon. Would recommend this hotel, easy to get around, lots of parking and restaurants around the hotel.

Our room was large and well equipped. The bathroom was rather snug but nevertheless everything worked well. Helpful staff on reception. My husband enjoyed heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Dinner in the in-house restaurant meant we didn't have to drive anywhere. The hot and cold buffet breakfast had a vast range of options. Enjoyed being able to have a bowl of oatmeal porridge with almonds and sultanas as toppings. Our friend loved the waffle with maple syrup and whipped cream. Very enjoyable stay.

We booked a two room suite with a jacuzzi tub, the most expensive suite offered. There wasn't enough towels or pillows in the room when we checked in to accommodate the four people booked in our reservation. Carpets are worn and stained. This is the first hotel in a long time that I told my kids to keep their shoes on it. My son tripped on the jacuzzi edge piece that has lifted and cut his toe open. The sofa bed needs to be replaced as it sags in the middle. Dirty and sagging pool room furniture. Cigarettes in the pool. $200 for the night. ?? I definitely expected more at that price point.

Had a wonderful stay, even extended it an extra night. Rooms were comfortable, pool and hot tub great for the kids. Front desk staff, especially Don, was amazing with helpful suggestions and good advice. Took the train to the zoo on his suggestion and we had a great time

The location is situated in an industrial area and it wasn't too far from the downtown area. The building needs some renovations. Not sure if it's the walls that may be thin but i found it to be extremely loud in my room on the 4th floor! The 4th floor is the highest floor, but it always sounded like there were loud footsteps above my room when there was nothing above me. The cleaning staff were extremely loud with anything they were doing, cleaning, walking, using their storage room, and pushing their cleaning carts. I was in my room for quite some time during the day. Therefore, it became quite frustrating because all I heard the entire time were loud banging on wall and floor sounds. The wall between the bed and the bathroom wall constantly made loud noises and rattling sounds. The swimming pool was ok. Better than nothing! The breakfast was excellent! Another excellent goes to the front desk guy, Dan the man, the evening man! I swear he doesn't take a day off!

Stayed here based on location and it was perfect for that (based on where we had to go the next morning). Room was clean and comfortable albeit with a bit of a stale smell (that did go away once I started circulating the ac). Breakfast was pretty dismal but I also find BW pretty hit and miss on breakfast. (Oatmeal was really lumpy, baked good dry etc). That said I would stay here again as there aren't a lot of hotels in this area and the price was decent enough for where it was located.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The surroundings were a bit industrial (the LRT runs right behind it), but it was a great, central location. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety of food and plenty of seating. It was very reasonably priced for all that it had to offer.

We have stayed at this property each time we visit. Very consistent quality and service. Central location, great dining close by and guick access to major routes to local attractions. We will stay here again on future trips.

Hotel location is great. Super close to the Stampede but not too busy hotel. All the staff are welcoming, serving and smiling. Anything you need, they will help you with. I've been using this hotel for many years in a row and the simpleness of things won't make me go anywhere else.

Being only a 20 minute walk from the Calgary Stampede showground, this hotel has a great location. The hotel rooms are clean but tired and would benefit from an update; some are smelly smoking rooms and (like us) you may be allocated one whether you want one or not; the rooms at the front suffer from the noise of the 6 lane main road and the construction work that is going on all around; in our room, the air conditioning unit was very loud as was the fan in the bathroom. There did not appear to us to be anything useful near the hotel like banks, bars or restaurants. But onsite parking was plentiful (back and front) and free. The man on reception when we arrived was very helpful in giving us a map, showing us where things were, and recommending somewhere to eat/drink. Another reception man brought us up a bottle opener when we found our room didn't have one. Thank you to you both.

Our family of four stayed at this Best Western Plus location for 2 nights the end of June 2018. All of the staff were very friendly but the two employees who stood out the most were Clay and Dave. They went above and beyond for us, making sure we were comfortable and happy with the room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, outstanding service!

Upon our arrival “Dan” greeted us with friendly welcome service. He provided us with information to local restaurants for that evening. And directions to the Calgary Zoo for the next day. This hotel was clean. We had 2 rooms beside each other, as requested. All staff were friendly. Pool was awesome. Breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Ended up staying here after another hotel that I booked at was unable to accommodate my powerchair. This was a pleasant and welcome surprise after a bit of a distressing experience elsewhere. Check in and check out was fast and friendly. The room was a good size with a queen bed. Very easy to move around in. The bed was comfortable and a good height (some places I've been I've found the beds to be too high). The buffet breakfast was delicious. The only negative was that it was a smoking room but after everything that happened it was a minor issue. Would definitely stay here again.

Check in and out were flawless. We were treated so well in fact the clerk even asked if we needed any help with dinner destinations. We already had plans but it was a nice gesture. The hotel is a bit tricky to get into if you are coming from the north. The entrance is just before the tracks behind the hotel and is easy to miss. The room was in great shape, everything worked and it was clean. The self closing bathroom door was a pain but we got used to it. The breakfast was your typical Best Western Breakfast but it was good. There is construction going on next to the hotel but it didn't seem to effect much except the sidewalk being closed. All in all, we would stay here again for sure.

25 minuets from the Calgary Airport, really easy to get too, close to all types of restaurants and shopping malls as well as just a few blocks from Stamped Park. Lots of parking, very clean and really nice staff!

i wasn't in the hotel much but when i came back from being at otafest the whirlpool was nice to relax in and the bed was excellent to sleep in one of the best hotels i have been to if anything else the hot breakfast is well worth it

Nothing too fancy, but it offered good service, friendly staff, decent rooms and even a pool and fitness area for a fair price. It's close to downtown, but wasn't a noisy stay by any means. I'd definitely stay again.

Great location, close to all amenities, within walking distance of c-train. Hotel has a heated salt water pool, a kids wading pool, and a hot tub, plus a fitness centre. Looking forward to our next stay.

Did not feel safe as the big guy at the front desk asked strange questions as if he was casing us to determine when we'd be in our room. We felt that we had to take all our valuables out with us in the evening. Room and hotel are old (80's) ish and icky. Rooms at the back of the hotel are noisy because of trains passing every 10minutes.

This hotel was clean and quiet, and had very good staff. Slept well, enjoyed the pool/hottub and the breakfast was very good. Free hotel breakfasts can be hit or miss, well this one is a hit. Food replenished frequently, hot oatmeal or cream of wheat (not instant) waffles, eggs, sausages, potatoes, bagels, breads, cereals, fruit, juices and more. Location was excellent for what we needed, would stay again without hesitation!

My husband and I decided to go for a romantic night away and we were met with the jacuzzi tub plug not working so we couldn't use it at all, hardly any amenities (our fault for not checking but we at least expected in room movies) when we reported the tub not working in the morning, we were told to call back on Monday because there was nothing the staff could do about it.

We only stayed overnight, but the weather was so frightening and upon walking in, my young daughter and myself received a warm smile and welcoming attitude from the desk clerk hotel associate called Dan. He continued to go far beyond the call of duty. Room quiet and clean ... everything from our first step to check out it was wonderful!!!

Excellent front desk service who quickly got me into my room. We were in a king room and it was very spacious. One in convince was because the open bathroom door blocked the room door, the bathroom door had a closure. Could of be remedied during construction with a sliding door. The hotel was very clean Breakfast was fresh and the breakfast area was kept tidy.

Hotel staff and location were very convenient! The express check out was fantastic and they let me have a late check out. I forgot my toothbrush, and I called the front desk, a lady came by with a toothbrush and toothpaste!

The staff really makes this hotel a great one . check in and checking out is smooth and helpful . the staff at the break buffet are very attentive and friendly . Mohammad and Bonnie are really great and good at there jobs . Victoria will make bacon if you request it .

This is one of a couple hotels we always stay at when in Calgary . Close to a great mall , easy to get to Spruce Meadows , lots of free parking available . Love the friendly staff and victoria preparing breakfast was so friendly and the food great. Wish the area was open all day so you could get out of your room and just watch tv and go on internet in another setting.

The hotel is a basic hotel for the passer through. The breakfast is hot, fresh and there is not shortage of food or options although I may recommend another garbage can for easier access when the breakfast room is busy. The rooms are a good size but the bathrooms could use a little love and the cleaning could use a bit of attention to detail (I wouldn't have allowed my dog to sleep on the chairs provided in the room...they were stained, "crusty" and overall disgusting). The best part of the hotel is the staff at the front desk. The one gentleman I spoke with on a few occasions was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Hotel was ok. Not as nice as new upgraded ones but was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not the greatest. Some pastry was old and the berries still frozen so stopped trying the food after that. Overall was a good stay

I stay at this hotel frequently when travelling to Calgary on business. The front desk staff are extremely accommodating and always offer a smile and a warm greeting. So nice to feel so welcome when travelling on business. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and is a great value and location for the rate. Very close to downtown and Stampede Park. C-Train station is a close walk.

I liked this hotel as it was a great location for going to a Calgary Flames game at the Saddledome. It was also convenient to shopping centers and downtown. The bed was super comfortable. The room was clean. Not the best view, but it suited our puposes wonderfully. Staff was very helpful.

The staff is very friendly here and quick to help. The room I stayed in faced the train tracks and I did hear a lot of train noise throughout the night. The hotel has a good breakfast and parking is free.

Our stay in this hotel was very good. The room was very clean and nicely laid out. We were only there for two nights. The room was nicely made up when we came back to the room after conducting our business. The breakfast was very good, but the coffee was too weak. lol

Early October 2017 we stayed 2 nights in an Executive room with king-size bed. The room is very spacious with very good lighting. There is a coffee machine, microwave and fridge. The bed is very comfortable but the shower is very disappointing. There is very good, free Wi-Fi. The hotel has free parking and a laundry room (CAD 2,25 per load). Very friendly staff at the reception. Breakfast buffet is good.

Dan and Mo went above and beyond to make our stay great. Dan saw what was needed and provided it without being asked, Mo had the equipment at a moments notice to help us with our stay at the hotel. The hotel is close to the center of Calgary, okay if you have a car, a 12 min walk to the LRT. Will stay here again on another trip to Calgary.

I love to book here to stay because the staff, location and amenities are wonderful. I have recommended to my family and friends to go there to sleep and love the breakfasts and their swimming area... as well as their beds and pillows are nice

Hello, I was in town for a night for business as well as pleasure. Right from the process of booking the room over the phone to checking out after my stay I was impressed by the staff. I was arriving in town a little earlier than normal check in times and the staff was very accomodating in getting me into my room early . My room was clean and pleasantly decorated. The shining point to my stay was the counter staff for sure. Very professional, courteous and helpful. The host that booked me in was the same as for my check out. He was perfectly attentive to my needs, efficient and thorough. He also directed our conversation at check in to find out what my plans were during my stay in calgary and was very knowledgable as to some highlights for entertainment and places to eat. He was extremely pleasant to deal withand deservess praise for his efforts to represent your brand.

...especially if you want to be the services and advantages of downtown Calgary without the downtown prices. The hotel was conveniently located for exit from Macleod Drive as well as walking to public transit for ease of travel to and from downtown. Everything about the room and the full, hot breakfast met our expectations. I'm a very light sleeper and heard the trail rushing by throughout the night, so if you're like me, be advised and ask for a west-side room. Thanks to a desk-staff recommendation, we ate at a nearby Korean restaurant one night--a good choice. We will probably reserve a stay here the next time we have business in downtown Calgary..

We've never been dissatisfied when staying at a Best Western Plus. Overall our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The staff was friendly and amendable. They had a great serve yourself breakfast (including hot porridge, and both waffle and pancake griddles). We had a slight nitpick which was dealt with immediately. The location was ideal with a nearby mall (Chinook) and movie theatre to the south of us, a great little Mexican Restaurant nearby, and downtown just 5 minutes north of us. My wife and I would gladly stay there again.

The hotel had absolutely superb service. The attitude of hotel staff was friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. There are great facilities on-site and nearby. This was all for less than $100 CAD a night, which is pretty much unbeatable these days. There is a transit station behind the hotel, but I couldn't hear anything going by throughout the day/night while inside.

The hotel was very neat; the people at the front desk were extremely helpful. My only advice would be to install grab bars around the bathtub for safety of all travelers especially the senior citizens.

We were in Calgary on Sept 13 and 14th. On the second morning my wife was disappointed that the breakfast buffet did not serve bacon. The wonderful lady cooking overheard and fried her up a plate of bacon. Made my wife's stay. Kudos to the staff! Thank you. Good hotel, wonderful breakfast.

Great comfortable hotel, with excellent friendly staff. Comfortable bed and great free breakfast included. Very close to Saddledome, where we were attending a concert and staff gave us helpful directions. Weather was good so able to walk down to it and back as only 20 minutes away. Easy parking, and breakfast had some great hot and cold choices and all hot dishes kept to a good temperature. The pancake/waffle machines were great. Only one downside were the pillows, too soft. One was not enough and 2 felt as if drowning in pillows. Décor good, although bathroom could do with a more modern upgrade. Would definitely recommend if want to be near Stampede grounds.

We stayed at Best Western for a weekend birthday getaway! We chose the Jacuzzi suite so we could relax. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were always there to help and were extremely friendly and had a positive energy. Free breakfast on the weekends until 11am, and 10am on weekdays which is perfect for people who want to sleep in! Great and convenient location being so close to downtown!

The front end night staff is the best I've ever met! The gentleman we had was so friendly and accommodating he had no problems filling out requests in a timely manner. The room we had was cozy and had a fantastic pillow top mattress with a special pillow for me from the man downstairs. Aside from the in room toiletries seeming to be in need of an update, everything else was perfect! The free hot breakfast downstairs is also really wonderful to have to start with and they do it perfectly!

As soon as my wife and I walked in the door we were greeted with a friendly smile, and a helpful staff. We're not too familiar with Calgary and they were happy to show us points of interest within the city. the rooms are comfortable and clean, the maid services are good, the continental breakfast was very good, good location, lots of amenities. There is a pool and hot tub. The rooms have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, I would recommend this hotel.

Staff was very helpful in checking-in. I had made a mistake while booking and was afraid I have to pay extra for the room that day. BUt the staff was very helpfull, and they proved the room at the same price that I had booked online via third party. That was very helpfull of them.

We stay here because of the location and friendly staff. The staff are helpful and smile. We can walk along trails and get downtown easily. Easy to get and great cab service whenever required. We will be back.

This was a very nice hotel. A bit expensive for one night. Bed was comfortable, room was a nice size, breakfast was a nice selection. My one complaint of our room & it was especially pertinent to me, was that our bathroom door had a closer on it!!! These are found on your room door that would lead to the hallway. This made the bathroom door extremely heavy to open. During the night, I was especially distressed by it. I have major back problems & this door only added to my pain. So much so, that I wasn't able to eat breakfast the next morning.

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn in Calgary. Got vacation off to a strong start. Gentleman at desk recommended great restaurant for dinner - Smugglers Inn. Dynamite. Pleasurable stay.

It was a great place and close to where we needed to be to run the Spartan Race. 8 Minutes away. Friendly hotel and very clean. I would use this hotel again in a heart beat. Very friendly check-in staff and service was wonderful.

They were very friendly and had an excellent array of foods for breakfast. The only thing I'd change, is adding actual brown bread for toast. Aside from that, it was excellent. Also, when we arrived at midnight, they made sure the check in was quick so we could go straight to bed.

The service at the hotel was very good. The amenities are up to the usual good Best Western standard. The only drawback, which is not the fault of BW, is the rundown look of the area. Otherwise, inside the hotel everything is great.

The courteous staff make this hotel a great stay. The city needs to clean up the area across from the hotel but the hotel itself is very nice. The elevator could use an overhaul so that it would move faster but the staff were quick on the draw when it came to press the button to have it come down to pick you up if it was not waiting on the ground floor.

A group of friends and I stayed here for one night, which the gentleman at check-in started off on a high note! We don't remember his name unfortunately, but he was very accommodating and professional, willing to answer any questions we had. The room was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The pool and continental breakfast is very convenient! I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay here again!!

We stayed here so we could attend the Calgary Stampede which is a 15 minute walk away or it is just a short walk to the train station which also takes you to the Stampede grounds. The rooms are standard and the hotel has a lovely indoor pool and hot tub which we all used each evening after long days down at the Stampede. The staff on the front desk were very helpful especially Dan however we had the most terrible experience with the girl working in the breakfast room (think her name was Victoria). We were finishing off our breakfast at 10.10am and she proceeded to tell us and another group of guests that breakfast finished at 10.00am and we shouldn't be there. As this was our last morning and after a few issues with her attitude on previous mornings, when she huffed when we asked for milk refills etc this was the last straw. Not prepared to accept her behaviour any longer I decided to reminder her that we were paying to stay in the hotel and as breakfast was included in the price I would be finishing my breakfast. She preceded to say she was not paid to work after 10am so we told her to take it up with Management not with the guests. After breakfast we went to the front desk and reported her behaviour to Dan. I hope Best Westerns Management dealt with this matter as I would hate to think any other guest would be spoken to in this way. As a family we travel a lot and have stayed in lots of hotels and have never been spoken to or treated so badly by a member of staff! There was no on site restaurant where you could purchase lunch or an evening meal although there is a Tim Horton's and a McDonald just a short walk down the road. The hotel was expensive for what we got and the room was a little cramped for 2 adults and 2 teenagers with luggage, think if doing it again we would go Airbnb.

The location is reasonably close to CLine (Light Rapid Transit) Also shopping and dining are also close. Staff are friendly and courteous. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub plus the in-room jaccuzi. The end.

Our family stayed here last weekend and while the front lobby looks great the rooms need some work. I found our room outdated, dark and musty smelling. The pool is small but ok for kids to get in and past some down time. I found the breakfast very busy for the small area where it's located and they ran out of everything including utensils. It was great for a short stay but I'm not totally sure if we would stay there again.

Great location. Close to attractions like Heritage Park and to city center. Room Clean and Breakfast yummy with hot food and good selection of cereal. Pool needed a clean, but over all had a great stay

The hotel location is convenient for those needing access to the south of Calgary It is an older hotel and needs some upgrading but all in all a good overnight stay. Breakfast was good and the pool is very nice.

I experienced no issue at all during all my stay. We enjoyed the pool on Friday night until it's closure, but the staff gave us an extra 15 minutes to enjoy it a little bit longer. It's relatively quiet on night time, so no disturbance. I will choose this hotel next time I go to the Stampede way over the ones downtown.

This property has all you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Check in, room comfort, breakfast and fitness/pool are all the best anywhere. Close to downtown, the zoo, hospital, shopping, restaurants and easy access and great parking. We had to make and emergency hospital trip to Calgary and needed 2 rooms for me and my daughters. I phoned late in the day - rooms booked immediately and caring and concerned staff greeted us for our 2 day stay. Felt like home!!

The overall stay was very comfortable although the eggs in the hot breakfast tasted like powdered eggs and the bacon not cooked too well. The fruit selection was good though. When the residents in the room above were walking hard at 2am, I called twice before it was rectified and the party was evicted the next day. A suite on the top floor was then made available to me and that night was restful. The staff member Dan, went out of his way to rectify things so my stay would be more pleasant. A for effort!!!

My first trip to Calgary. The location of this motel is excellent. Close to the Heritage Center, Calgary Tower and downtown. The staff was also very good. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The rooms were clean . The breakfast was fresh and above average

Nice location of this hotel. We could walk to the Stampede which we did for 2 days. Enjoyed using the LRT to get around. People in Calgary are very friendly and always willing to help when they saw we were looking for a certain place.

The front desk was very helpful from calling a cab to recommending a place for dinner. They were always polite, smiling and conversational. There were so many choices for breakfast. Traveling from the States they made us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel made our Calgary trip!

Second time we have stayed here, great people excellent location. If your attending an event on the Stampede Grounds can't be any better for location. You can take a three minute Taxi ride, the CTrain, or even walk without much effort.

They put us in a room on the first floor where they had put 5 smoking rooms next to us. Had grand children with us that have lung issues along with my own. Booked the room back in march and was never told this was a smoking room. First room appeared dark and dirty

Clean rooms, friendly staff, breakfast is included and its easy to get to the stampede grounds. Will definitely be back next time we are in town. This was our second visit this summer and both stays were enjoyable.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff took good care of us, provided us with all the help we needed. The gentleman outside taking care of the parking lot was a gem. Thank you! The rooms are clean, there is free wifi, parking is free, it's close to downtown. Not much more you can ask for!

We stayed three nights and would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Calgary! We requested a king room with fridge and microwave and were okay with paying the additional cost for these items. The room was very large and comfortable with a comfy couch and very comfortable bed. The pillows were a bit too rounded and stiff for me. We requested to stay on the side away from the busy street and the room was very quiet. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a great selection of items with scrabbled eggs and sausage one day, the next day was cheese omelets and sausage and Tuesdays are scrabbled eggs and bacon days. The waffle maker with the strawberry and whipped cream was very popular, as well. Very helpful and friendly breakfast staff. When we had any questions or a small problem with the air conditioner, Dan was super helpful and quick to resolve any problems or questions we had. Overall a VERY comfortable stay and the cost was very typical for this area, considering the quality of our stay. Thank you to Dan and other Staff for their excellent service.

Spacious room, great location, large selection of hot and cold complimentary breakfast, free parking, free wifi, apples at the foyer for the taking. Good value for your $. The only drawback is the spring loaded bathroom door. Had to use a suitcase to keep it open. It also makes noise when opening and closing.

Was here for the Global Petroleum Show. Convenient location to get there with light rail. - The free continental breakfast was better than average, the lobby needs an overhaul and one only elevator leads to wait. The stairs are not nearby.

Wonderful staff especially Dan at the front desk on afternoon shift. Everyone was so very helpful and pleasant and made our trip more enjoyable. The hotel was near all the places we had to go. Friendly and courteous staff.

I like being within walking distance to the Saddledome. We used to stay at the elbow river inn which has been gone for quite a few years now. The best western is conveniently close and like staying there for events at the Saddledome. We were drinking and walked back to the hotel. It was great.

The hotel was located fairly close to the stampeed grounds and the Saddledome which makes it a good place to stay when attending concerts and stampeed. The pool was clean. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if the hotel is busy.

Stayed on business and chose this hotel because it was close to my course location. Turned out it was a great location overall. Just minutes from downtown and only a few minutes to the Chinook mall. Check in was great - no sure of the clerks name but he was very welcoming and funny. The room itself was large with a nice sized fridge, microwave, decent TV and comfy beds. Only things I didn't like were the lumpy pillows and the bathroom didn't seem to be vented very well even with the fan running. I used the hot tub a couple of nights which was nice and relaxing. I am dropping my rating due to the pool area looking like it needed some maintenance, however it was still relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was very good with healthy options like boiled eggs and fruit. I will stay at this location again if I come back for any more courses here.

Following our check-in during a horrific wind/rain storm in early-evening darkness, our Desk Clerk saw the wind tear a valuable file from our hands, strewsing it across the parking lot. Zahir left his post at the check-in desk long enough to rescue the contents of our file that included an international passport.

We were attending to some business plus a Grand childs graduation. It is rather hard to find a "nicer" hotel with smoking rooms and we were a bit apprehensive when we booked but I had gone through some of the other "trip advisor" comments and all seemed fine. The hotel was very nice and clean. The front desk folks were just GREAT , there was a free breakfast (included eggs, sausage, waffles or also a lighter one like bagels , fruit, cereal etc. When I needed extra coffee front desk provided all I needed even offered to get us real milk if we preferred for our coffee. The room was spotless, and a nice choice of pillows. A fridge and coffee maker also tea & coffee . The windows could actually be opened which we find is often not the case. Bed was comfortable and we were right handy to the Calgary Stampede Corral where ceremonies were held. I would surely go and stay here again, the rates were reasonable which is truly a help when one is a senior. and we each had an ashtray !! Great stay!! Thank you Also a lovely swimming pool

We will be back at this hotel again. We travel a lot for sports that the kids are involved with. We always choose Best Western for their quality, cleanliness and comfort. However, this hotel in all my stays to date, has the best beds in town!

We enjoyed our overnight stay in Calgary. The beds were great and very comfortable! Tv was very good! We were fortunate to be upgraded to a King suite. Very, very nice! Lots of room. The breakfast room was very crowded and hard to move around to get your food. But there was a good selection and the breakfast was included! We didn't get to take advantage of the pool or hot tub of which both looked very inviting.

My boys and I had a great extended weekend in Calgary. The breakfast and pool were great, and the hotel was only 5-10min from all of the attractions we wanted to see (Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park, Calgary Tower, Telus Spark Science Centre).

This was a good place to park your luggage because it is close to amenities and restaurants. The location is central but in a heavy traffic street, though there is no traffic noise once in your room. It is also a little hard to get in and out of the place. The staff was very nice and helpful with directions and recomendations to restaurants and activities.

Pros: This hotel is clean and functional with comfy beds - all you need for a quick sleep or stopover in Calgary. It has a great pool, wading pool and whirlpool as well. Also, the front desk staff was great and went above and beyond for us; thanks Teo! Cons: elevator is crazy slow; continental breakfast starts at 7am (whaaat!? All those poor people up and at 'em early...) Doors in the bathroom are heavy and on strong automatic closers which is weird, awkward and annoying.

Great stay, excellent breakfast, surprisingly excellent location! We were leary of area with abandoned building beside and across hotel, but staff assured us it was indeed good area. Was less then 15 minute drive to downtown in rush hour traffic. Easy to get around. Just a quick drive down the one road to get to downtown. LRT was right there. Location really surprised us to how convenient it was! Breakfast was phenomenal. Best breakfast we've had at Best Westerns and othe hotels as well! Staff was so friendly, knowledgable, helpful.

Clean with friendly staff, comfortable beds and great linens. Location is close to many amenities as well as a very short taxi ride to the Mission Area where you will find fabulous restaurants (i.e. Bocce).

I stayed here with my wife and daughter for 3 nights. My band played at the music and arts festival at the Distortion club next door so this place was exceptionally convenient to get to and from the venue. The staff here are very friendly and exceptionally helpful with very few exceptions. The service actually kind of blew my wife and I away at times. We are used to a somewhat cool detachment that you seem to get from service industry staff which seems to be the norm these days however the staff at this hotel really came across as genuine and they really seemed to care about our needs. The only exception was the guy at check out whom I got a strange vibe from. He asked how our stay was as though it were an afterthought, as in, "by the way, how was your stay?"....Whatever, not a big deal. I can be a weird guy too. We stayed in a jacuzzi room as they did not have a double queen left when I had called 1.5 mos prior to reserve one. However, when we got there, the hotel really didn't seem to be at capacity. There weren't a lot of people there. Had a room opened up, it would've been nicer to have gotten what I had initially wanted. They did discount the room $20 a night but iit still was pricier than I was budgeting for. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was a little hard for my liking. We had a hide-a-bed pullout for our daughter and to be honest I think I would've rather slept on it. It was comfy. The air controls were easy to use for those who want to customize their environment. The jacuzzi tub really should've been cleaned better. The bathroom is not a tiny little narrow closet like some places which was nice. The biggest problem I had with this room though was the water pressure....or lack thereof. The toilet always seemed like it was about to overflow because it flushed so slow. The shower had an enormous shower head but the water basically came out at the speed of gravity. It was incredibly weak. I have long hair, so it took me a while to rinse it with this ridiculous shower head. The best part, by far, about our stay here was the complimentary breakfast. It was never super busy (as a matter of fact, the first day I found my wife and I alone in the breakfast area) and the food is great. The young lady looking after the breakfast was on top of it constantly keeping things stocked. It was awesome. You have your choices of making your own pancakes or waffles or toast, you have bagels and croissant, yogurt and granola or cereal and the hot dishes both days were eggs and sausage (one day egg patties with breakfast sausage, the next, scrambled with sausage rounds). Juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate...you name the breakfast item and it was there and there was plenty of it. And tasty! Very impressed with this breakfast. To be honest, it would be a selling point for me to come back I enjoyed it so much. The only weird part of our stay here was the homeless man living in the trees outside the rear door. The first night after my wife and daughter had arrived, my wife was approached in her vehicle by said man who was looking into vehicles. We do a lot of people watching and sitting in our vehicle when we are staying away from home, so after I arrived, this incident didn't repeat itself as I sat outside with her a lot. We saw some strange goings on behind the hotel with the man who apparently lives under a tree out back as well as with 2 or 3 other guys who were coming and going and exchanging bags and such with one another. I guess this isn't overly strange for a large city per se but I can definitely see this scenario making the hotel guests uneasy to be outside alone particularly if they are female. We were quite wary to leave anything of value in our vehicle though. Overall though, the hotel is easy to get to, the staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly and it was a comfortable and quiet stay. It is far from the biggest hotel I've ever stayed at and is actually one of the smallest Best Western hotels I've ever seen or been so it is cozy if you like that sort of atmosphere, which we did. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in particular because of the staff and most especially because of the breakfast. Some people may not think it was anything special and may have come to expect that sort of thing from a hotel but I can't speak highly enough of it. I loved it!

The gentleman who check us in noticed we had our infant son with us. He offered us the use of a playpen which he went out of his way to bring up to our room. Overall the staff were great to interact with and the continental breakfast was of good quality.

Bed comfortable Bathrrom very clean Furnitures and appliances are clean. Toiletries are nicely provided. On the other hand... Carpet is not clean, lots of dirt and crumbs. Airconditioning unit would go as low as 20 degrees, which was warm for me and my husband. Hotel staff needs to be more nicer and accommodating.

Rooms are very clean. Beds were comfortable. Front desk staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again. It is very central. We had an early appointment at the Rocky View hospital. It was a 12 minute drive from hotel to hospital.

Very clean and the best staff ever! I'm always greeted like they actually want my business. It's a quick and easy check-in. The rooms are clean,modern and spacious with good wifi. I'm fussy about clean bathrooms and I've never had a problem

Very nice clean hotel, nice rooms, very nice warm breakfast with lots of extras and choices. Chosen as it is close to our family in Calgary. Only recommendation is to warm up the pool alittle more, as it was alittle to cool to really enjoy.

Staff are very pleasant and kind. Great location close to shopping and downtown. There is good food close by and plenty of stuff to keep everyone in your family busy. My wife and I loved the Dbox seats at the theatre at chinook center were pretty cool! Red Lobster was delicious and the staff were very nice! Definitely try the pubs downtown great atmosphere and great food!

great hotel around what seemed to be a not so nice part of the city. The service is great and the employees are very friendly and make sure you have a good time while staying with them. You can easily access downtown, the highway, and chinook mall is only minutes away. The free breakfast could be better quality but it was an overall good experience

This hotel was booked for me by Corporate Travel and was located in a convenient location for our business meetings while in Calgary. The front desk staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The rooms were spacious but had a bit of a musty smell. The bed was comfortable and the room had a coffee maker and complementary coffee. The wifi was stable and the connection was easy. The hot breakfast was excellent.

I went to this hotel to go see a friend and the front desk guy who was East Indian, young, tall guy treated me like I was a criminal. The min I walked in he stop me and said where u think your going! Are u staying in this hotel? I told him I was going to see a friend and he wouldn't let me in the hotel and asked millions of question which was no of his business, treating me very bad and did not feel welcome at all!!!

The gentleman in receipt ion was very nice and helpful. I went there for business trip, on Saturday night I like to walk to a close by restaurant, he told me a lot of helpful information. The hotel is in a very good location, close to Calgary downtown, you can even walk to downtown area by 15 minutes. This hotel is very neat and enough for business purpose.

Yes again it's not a new hotel BUT what it does have is GREAT Front desk staff. GREAT Location is the next best feature. If you want to shop, close to the Mall, if you want to go downtown, close to downtown. PLUS it' s a nice quiet hotel. So if your going to ask if I would stay here again FOR SURE I WOULD

We joined my husband on this trip. He was meeting with several clients during the day that allowed us to travel and shop around the hotel. This hotel has a included breakfast and pool and hot tub. I think the smaller pool is for littler children. The front staff was very helpful. We called to let him know that we would be running late and they saved the room for us. They even put us in the exact room we stayed in during the summer. The bed was very comfortable. The whole room was clean and inviting. I did find it hard to sleep with the C-Train going by but by 1 am it either was done or I finally fell asleep. We did have problems with our keys not working upon our arrival. The front staff gave us new keys and even came up with us to make sure that we could gain access to our room. The only knock I have on this hotel is the room service/cleaning ladies. They came while my son was napping and asked if we needed a cleaning. I asked them to come back later. Which they did not. But the house cleaning manager called and immediately fixed the problem.

This is a great place to stay. It is quiet, clean, comfortable, and affordable- and the staff is wonderful. I won't stay anywhere else! Their breakfast has many choices and is available until 11:00 a.m. I have stayed here twice and both times have received excellent service.

We stayed for one night when we were in Calgary to attend We Day. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the breakfast was delicious and the beds were very comfy. My only complaint would be the tight parking spaces in the front of the hotel.

Room was really big and comfortable. Was close to the Stampede grounds which made it easy and convenient to run back and forth to the hotel. Service was awesome and the breakfast was pretty decent. Overall, it's a great hotel for short visits or if you plan on doing anything downtown.

Cant be beat, price is affordable, compared to other hotel. Breakfast included, a real breakfast eggs,sausage,waffles,pancakes,cereals,bagels,fruit,all beverages,danishes, not your normal free breakfast that has coffee and a muffin in a lot of hotels nowadays. Hotel isn't new but it as clean as a new one. Has pool, free wifi, fridge in room. Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to Stampede Park or a $7 cab ride. At least one smoking room available. Corner store and liquor store within walking distance.

This was my third time staying at this hotel. I like the location as it is close to shopping but out of the city centre. The hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful. The rooms are nice and had almost everything I needed. Two small complaints: I was told on checking in that guests had access to a microwave in the breakfast room. However, outside of breakfast hours this room is not accessible. Also, my room did not get cleaned the first day. I came home after a long day to find no coffee and towels in the bathtub. It was cleaned the second day but that may have something to do with my speaking to the room cleaners the second morning.

Our room was very clean and the front desk staff were cheerful and accommodating, calling taxis and giving great advice. Proximity to the Saddledome made for a great night out. Price was very reasonable.

Working around the traffic in Calgary on a busy Saturday afternoon and once garmin says destination on your right you feel you made it. Friendly staff greet you as you make your way into the Best Western and you know that everything is great as they greet you as a regular guest and insist on ensuring you have everything you need. Elevator to the room and everything is ready for you. We stayed in a comfortable suite that had spacious areas throughout. A comfortable bed that was a pleasure to sleep on as was very comfortable. Then in the morning a very hearty hot breakfast that included everything you could ask for. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay at your facility, we enjoy coming there and will return for more of your hospitality.

great location and very helpful staff. very accommodating. need to get better vending machines, bring your own munchies and drinks. everything else was great, but a slow elevator just minor stuff. i would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Centrally located, clean, well run hotel. Room was spotless and fresh. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pool is well kept along with the exercise room. Ample parking in front and rear. Block heater plugs for winter. Will stay again.

I stayed for a week, chaperoning a team of 23 swimmers. This hotel is very clean, the rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay great. I would stay here again for sure.

Oh the noise, oh the noise from the road construction nearly 24 hours a day! Jack hammers and then paving trucks beeping all night long. The hotel should advise long term guests like us (we stayed a week) that there will be road construction and traffic problems right outside their hotel front desk. Or offer to cut rates on all rooms at the least or advise guests before arrival so that I could have booked a different room. . Also the jacuzzi in the King suite was not working when we first checked in and then the jacuzzi broke down the night before we were to leave. So much for a romantic last night.

After a long day of driving and tourist stops we were glad to arrive. The chap working reception (wish I could remember his name) answered all of my questions with ease and recommended a close by grocery store and a great local restaurant to enjoy a meal of Alberta Beef "Smugglers" which was a highlight of our Calgary stop. I also enjoyed the pool, hot tub and comfy bed. Breakfast was good as well. everything ws very clean and well maintained.

Excellent service, great amenities and amazing bed! Had a great sleep and woke up well rested.Had a Jacuzzi suite and kids had a little room with tv closed off. Woke up well rested. Although some road construction out front. But couldn't be helped by the hotel.

I would like to say a big thank you to Dan for going above and beyond to make our stay special. We had 7 rooms booked for a family event. As we started to arrive Dan realize we were a big group of people. He offered to open the breakfast room for us to gather along with tea, coffee, juice and use the dishes. We ordered food and had a great time. The kids were not disturbing others. The next night he recommended Smugglers but we could not get a reservation Dan called and got us in and had a wonderful meal. Thank you Dan!

The picture you see on this site is from the lower level parking lot on the side of the light rail transit. The front of the hotel faces onto Macleod Trail. This is a smaller, well run hotel that conforms well to what one would expect from a Best Western. There is a small reception area with a small sitting area opposite. There is a limited amount of parking out front, and a large amount of parking at a lower level on the rail side of the hotel, with an exit to a service road that runs alongside the rail tracks. Don't be put off by the noisy location, the rooms are well insulated and one is able to enjoy a resa place for a suitcase, ctful sleep. Reception is staffed by well trained, helpful staff. Rooms are located on 3 levels starting at ground level. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the whole facility is immaculate. Rooms are well equipped with a comfortable bed or two, desk with chair, lamp, and power outlets, TV with a good choice of channels, cupboard, bathroom and a little area with a shelf, coffee machine, and a bar fridge. The bathroom is spacious and well set out, the shower has a good flow and the temperature is consistent. Everything works, and works well. If I was to search for a niggle, it would be a request to stick with warm coloured lights. this. like so many hotel rooms has a random collection of warm and cool (blue) lamps, which just look a but haphazard. There is a downstairs area where the amenities are located. There is a standard hotel sized indoor pool, with a hot tub and what looks like a kiddie splash pool. All immaculately clean. there is also a dining facility downstairs, which provides the classic BW hot breakfast, with a comprehensive offering of yoghurt, waffle maker, pastries, scrambled egg, sausage, toast, cereals, fruit juices, tea, coffee, etc etc. The location is not far from downtown but this is not a hotel for pedestrians. You will need to drive or cab wherever you want to go from here. There is a Timmies and a McD a few hundred meters up the road. There is a train station a few blocks away as well. There is no view to speak of, Macleod trail is a busy road night and day, and the light rail runs past the east side of the building. Restaurants are plentiful if one is prepared to take a short drive. The pool is great if you have kids who need to release their pent up energy. The breakfast is great as a nutritious, filling way to start the day. So it's a practical hotel, clean and comfortable, nice breakfast, quiet rooms as one could expect in the circumstances, comfortable beds, quiet enough for a good nights sleep, more convenient to downtown Calgary than the airport, for instance. The busy road out front is the reason you get a nice hotel at a reasonable price.

BEST WESTERN Plus Calgary Centre Inn was a very good place to stay. Tim at check-in was very helpful. WE had a couple minor issues (tv remote would not work and we could not get the a/c to go lower than 20 degrees) but other than that, the hotel met or exceeded our expectations for Best Western Plus hotels.

Overall this is an okay hotel. The local is decent about 5 minute drive from city Center but directly behind the hotel is the railway. We turned on the fan to drown out the noise. The breakfast was kinda lacking there were scrambled eggs and sausage patties but both looked undercooked so stuck with the muffin and yogart. ~ the biggest bummer was the pool. It looked super old, it wasnt heated and we werent able to ise the hottub. Positives - the staff was really nice and the room was clean.

This was the fourth or fifth time we have stayed at this hotel. They seem to have vacancy when most other hotels in Calgary are booked up. The front desk staff at this hotel are THE BEST! How often do you remember the staff at a hotel? We remember these guys. The hotel is older, has been renovated, and is becoming a bit run down. I would say a good description would be; the staff here is making the most our of what they have. My inlaws noted holes in the carpet in their room. I guess if you are looking for ultra-new, this is not the place. But it is clean. The pool is nothing special, but the kids enjoyed a quick swim before supper, and that was good enough for us. This hotel is in a bit of a sketchy area, and we hate parking in back. Get a spot in front if you can manage it. The front desk guys will happily provide menus for take out on request. There is a 7-11 three blocks away. An easy walk if you want snacks for the room.

Check-In and Check-Out Super Fast. Good Value for the Money. The Complementary Breakfast is good and generous. The In-Room Fridge is Empty (I have never use it before). This was my first stay in this hotel and it met all my expectation. I Recommend it.

We found the staff to be a helpful,caring,knowing staff, most helpful in a situation where an early check-in was a most important matter. We found the staff was knowledgable in providing directions required. A definite recommended in the mid town area.

We've stayed here a few times before and always love it. It isn't fancy, but the guys at the front desk are amazing -- they are friendly, helpful and funny. Our entire family loves them :) The hotel is central to everything touristy and sports-wise. It's also close to tons of restaurants and downtown. We recommend this motel!

I had booked the best Western online through airmiles for a free night. We live just outside of Calgary and wanted to have an anniversary date night. I had called a few days prior to confirm our reservation I was told that they would need my credit card upon arrival for incidentals. I was told on the phone by Ryan it would be a $ 100.00 deposit. When we arrived I was told It would be $200. I was a little unhappy about being told one thing and arriving to find out something different. I have a minimum on my credit card and thankfully I was able to do the pre authorization since this particular hotel does not take cash deposits. Something came up and we had to check out that night. Tim was wonderfully understanding and assured me the room was paid for and my deposit would be refunded. Thank you, Tim. Overall, I found the room cozy and clean.

This is a hard one. The hotel itself was great friendly staff, clean quiet and comfortable rooms. Great amenities like a pool and workout facilities. The bad part the booking and customer service of the phone agent leaves much to be desired. The room was booked using a free night I earned through the Best Western Rewards program. When I arrived at the hotel they where ready to charge me for the room. I showed them my app and the agread we called the BWR agent to get it sorted out and we where greeted with hostility and contempt. I will not stay at a nother BW unless this is taken care of. Sorry to see such a good hotel be tarnished by people who don't even work at the location.

We stayed two nights at this hotel. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. There was a light rail system behind the hotel but we didn't have the time to access this. Restaurants are within walking distance as is a park.

Enjoyed our stay, the room was nice and comfortable but there was a dog urine smell in the hallway which spoilt things a bit. There was nothing near around the hotel within any walking distance which meant a car ride to get food etc..

Friendly, efficient front desk staff, very accommodating. Clean, spacious, comfortable, what more do you really need for one transit night? Fairly usual included breakfast. Clean, refreshing pool and whirl pool. The front desk was prompt and responsive for local information, taxes, and restaurant reservations. Walking distance, easily, to fast food, if you want it.

The hotel was clean and the front desk and cleaning staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is next to the LRT line but the sound proofing was excellent - couldn't hear the trains unless you listened for them.

Other than the construction making it hard to access the hotel staff was friendly the rooms were clean and the wifi worked great. The bed was comfortable In the morning the breakfast was a good selection and hit the spot. Checkout was a breeze

We stayed here because we needed to fly out of Calgary. So all in all the stay was fine. The room was in ok shape. It was clean, the wifi was ok, little spotty. The staff was very nice. We originally had a problem with the toilet, and they immediately rectified the situation by giving us a new room. The location to downtown is very good. However, there is a lot of construction in that area right now, so traffic was a little heavy. Nothing really wowed me about this place. But it is clean and the staff was really nice. The one elevator was somewhat annoying and slow. The fitness center is not modern, and antiquated, and should not be listed as an amenity on the website. Breakfast was included, and the lady kept it stocked nicely. That was a plus.

Best spot for a Stampede location. Walking distance and a safe walk there and back! Not a frills hotel but great price for the customer service and location when visiting for Stampede. Dan at front desk has been here a while and needs to run this place! Anything you need Dan knows! Kudos Dan! We will be back because of your customer service!

Sure did enjoy a second night of traveling at the Best Western. The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms and facilities are clean and inviting, and they have THE most comfortable beds.

This motel was a nice easy to get to location. It was close to the action and public transportation station. The staff were helpful. The room was roomy and comfortable. The breakfast had lots of variety to it and the food tasted good.

Stayed at this hotel many times in the past and never a disappointment . Excellent location and service ever time. Excellent online rate when we were looking for a hotel and overall a great experience.

I booked a room with 2 beds for myself and friend. I was 'upgraded' without my consent to a 1 bedroom - we could not use this. When I was checking in I was told there were no 2 bed rooms unoccupied yet the clerk later called us to say someone checking in was willing to switch. When I asked why I was upgraded and other guests were not the clerk yelled at me, threatened to rip up my registration and swung at me when throwing the keys at me. And I am a Diamond Member with BW!!!

Good locaction, near stampede grounds....Great breakfast, friendly staff. Nice swimming pool and great value! The floor had a balcony overlooking the main floor with comfy armchairs where you could read, get out of your room. Very thougtful. Breakfast was very good and nice atmosphere. Price was very good!

The hotel was well located for our purpose. The room was large with twin queen beds (very comfy). The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both hot and cold food. The TV remote did not function properly but a phone call to the front desk had a replacement in a jiffy. The staff are courteous and helpful. The only negative is the bathroom door. In order to correct a problem, they have installed a heavy exterior door with a closer which makes it difficult to pull open and the weight of the door is greater than what the two hinges could handle so the door did not close properly and you had to pull it closed. If you wanted the bathroom door open to exhaust the steam from the shower, you had to stuff a towel between the door and the jamb. Other than that, it was a good stay.

This hotel probably could have been ok, but it had 2 significant strikes against it for me personally. First, our room was HOT and the wall thermostat was programmed to go no lower than 20C (as told to us when we called the front desk to find out what we were doing wrong with the AC??) - 20C is not that cool. Second, the coffee in the breakfast area comes from a vending type machine similar to what you'd see in a hospital waiting room - and was absolutely awful. Also, a minor issue, there is one elevator serving the entire hotel and it was slow. I personally will not return to this hotel.

Great location, and very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is handy for lots of restaurants and is well placed for visiting the sights of Calgary, and the surrounding area. It also has plenty of free parking.

Despite making our reservation weeks ahead and arriving late afternoon, the only room available was right beside the elevator, overlooking the lobby and facing the very busy MacLeod Trail. Called the front desk to ask for a different room, but apparently nothing else, or at least nothing better, was available. Aside from that, the stay was okay. By running the A/C fan we were able to drown out most of the elevator, lobby and street noise. The bed was fine, quite comfortable actually, and the room and bathroom were clean and tidy, although getting a bit worn around the edges. We generally find that Best Western standards have been slipping a bit as of late. Breakfast was the standard, coffee was good and the breakfast room, although very small, was well stocked and kept tidy by the attendant. Probably would look harder to book in elsewhere next time, but this location was close and convenient to where we wanted to be in the city.

It was ok not more, the pool was very clean. A bit expensive. The morning meal was good. The carpet need to be change. A nice hotel if you only have to sleep thier. No proplem with noise from the main street.

Hotel room is spacious. Plenty of parking. Conveniently next to LRT station. It's only 5 minutes from the City center by car. While the room is nice but the beds were just a bit too high off the floor. The mattress did not sleep well but this could be a personal choice. Shower head water pressure is too low and the bathtub at first use did not drain and you stand in water as you shower. The hotel has no in room safe. Could probably use a microwave oven which the competition provides. Breakfast is adequate but certainly not a Deluxe breakfast as advertised. I still recommend this hotel as it has very large room and close to the city.

I made an error while booking online and even though they were extremely busy and booked up the front desk staff(Dan) was incredible and fixed my screw-up and also set up all out travel needs that day.

Used this hotel as home base for 4 days while attending the Stampede and the family's run-about in the city. Loved the breakfast, especially the pancakes. The hotel was clean, simple and the air con blew nice and cold. Lots of people slamming doors and had kids running the halls. Not the hotel's fault, just the time of year. Staff were quite helpful with directions. Stampede was only a 20 Minute walk.

My husband & I stayed here to attend a concert at the Saddle dome. The train was about 1 1/2 blocks away & about 3 minutes from the Saddle dome & another couple of minutes to downtown. Very friendly staff & good breakfast. They have a "grab & go" bag breakfast if you don't have time to eat in the breakfast room. This is in south Calgary on MacLeod so it was easy to get to & easy to get out of.

Great food, nice staff. We have stayed here before, last time had a better room, bigger and at the front. Breakfast, buffet choice very good, concidering, it is included in the price. Restaurent staff varied service.

The Best Western Plus Calgary City Centre Inn had a fabulous staff. When on the road and in hotels more than at home it was nice to know that at least your the folks at the hotel were familiar, friendly and some friends.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus for two nights in April on a business trip. Check-in was really easy and the front desk attendant was extremely helpful and very friendly. The room was big and was clean. I didn't use the TV but the internet worked fairly well. The bathroom was clean but the shower pressure was not very good. For some reason they installed rain showers on the wall; very strange. The breakfast is nothing special but there are quite a few options and the coffee is good. The breakfast area is kept very clean and restocked constantly. I would recommend this hotel.

This is a very clean, very friendly hotel and well located for visitors to Rockyview Hospital. It is also very close to Chinook Centre and to Costco and Ikea. Lot's of restaurants in the general vicinity.

The hotel's location was efficient for all my meetings. The rooms were comfortable, and the hotel has all the amenities that I wanted and could take advantage of. It is good place to gather thoughts to start day and relax after a busy day. Would/will stay again.

I have stayed at this Best Western twice, originally I stayed there because it was close to the Stampede grounds, but I have stayed there since, simply because its a nice hotel! The front desk staff is super friendly- they even remember me one year to the next ! One day in the lobby, a little boy came, that had trouble with a vending machine, and the clerk was just as kind and helpful to him as he had been to me. The rooms are big, and clean and the beds are very comfortable too! This hotel has many amenities (gym, pool, breakfast.....) and ample parking as well! I booked rooms for myself and four of my colleagues, and everyone was very happy with the staff and the hotel. Some of my colleagues travel a great deal for work, and even they commented on how happy they were with this hotel. I would absolutely recommend staying at this hotel and will definitely stay again in the future, whether it be for business or pleasure.

The room was clean an tidy, this is most important The breakfast was that processed egg. Stuff with processed meats and a bunch of pancakes to fill the space. Basically very un appetizing The Gym is tiny and really only good for 1 max 2 people at a time The afternoon / evening man on reception was very unprofessional I spend a lot of my time traveling so I like the experience to be pleasant Therefor I will not be using this location in the future.

Had the "Executive Suite" the carpet was filthy, heating/cooling system didn't work. Room was hot and traffic noise from McLeod Trail was terrible. The rooms need upgrading, Jacuzzi tiles were falling off, bathroom flooring cracked. For the price I paid for a Sunday/Monday night we could have stayed in a posh hotel downtown. One bright spot... Dan the front desk man!

The staff made my stay very pleasant. They were wonderful and so very helpful. My trip was for medical reasons and the staff made it almost stress free. Thank you for the great service. You went above and beyond the call of duty.

What can I say I am a big fan of Best Western. whenever i have the option to stay at BW for work or pleasure I do. I have booked BW for researchers I work with from the States and they enjoy the hotel. Stay coming in from out of town I book as well. Great rates, great service, great amenities. BW Plus Calgary Centre is perfectly located for quick access to downtown without the extra downtown price.

We recently stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very spacious, clean and had all the amenities required- a microwave, small fridge, hair dryer and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable. The pool, exercise and hot tub area were very clean. The hot tub was fairly small but the pool was a good size and the temp. comfortable. The continental breakfast was nice with eggs, sausages, pancakes, hot oatmeal etc. Our room was facing the McLeod Trail but was still very quiet. The wi fi was included and worked very well. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Super friendly and helpful front desk staff. Nice clean and comfortable beds. They also have a clean and pleasant pool and hot tub. Very central location. Only thing I would recommend that Manager do is to install a ATM at his Hotel as his staff politely told me I could find one a short walk a way at the Days Inn, but do you really want your customer having to visit the competition and finding out they are far nicer than you had actually previously thought. I would recommend this hotel especially for people looking to attend the Saddledome

Hotel staff were friendly, informative, and accommodating. Location easy to find and access. Room was comfortable and spacious. Has a pool without a slide, so no splashes from annoying kids, you can actually swim. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

My husband & I are frequent travelers, as he travels for business quite often, & I accompany him. Being disabled, I'm able to speak on that issue as well. We stayed here during the Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo in April of 2015. We've been attending that event now for 5 years, & have stayed at as many hotels. We've also been here on many other trips. (Business, weddings, vacations, etc.) It had slipped my mind to book a hotel in advance, & were quite pleased to find a hotel so close to the site, (Saddledome) that was available less than a month before, & at a decent price. (I believe it was approx. $130-$140 a night for a standard 2 queen/4 person room, or less) We booked for 2 nights, Friday & Saturday. I booked a regular room, rather than a mobility one, as we were traveling with our young adult son & his friend, plus, I do have some mobility with a cane. Upon arrival, we were quite pleased. The hotel seemed clean & fairly modern, (though not new) & the desk staff was absolutely lovely...very helpful & friendly, with a great sense of humor. We were placed on the second floor, close to the elevator, for easy access for me. (As I'm a smoker & need to go outside to smoke) The room was fairly nice, mostly modern, (& trust me, I've been in enough hotels to know dated!! lol) and the beds were comfy. I did find the room a bit small though, & with a wheelchair, it made it difficult to place it, even folded. The pool was ok, but the hot tub was quite small. After 8+ hours in a wheelchair, & with several disabilities, I was looking forward to soaking out some pain, but it was overcrowded to the point where some people just had their feet in it, & no one payed attention to the rules. I had to wait 1/2 hour to use it, & when I did, it was dirty to the point that I decided against it & had my husband help me upstairs to just take a hot bath. The pool was nice however, clean & good temperature. They also have a wading pool for tots, which is a great idea. There's no supervision in the pool area though, & if anyone is rowdy, you best just leave. There were several young adults throwing a ball around, & I was struck in the back of my head. The breakfast bar was standard hotel breakfast food, nothing overly special, but still nice to have, as it's a money saver, & there's quite a nice selection of food...eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, etc., as well as juice, tea & coffee. The "hot" items are not prepared by a cook, but are the "pre-cooked" variety. Still, pretty good for what it is. Always something to eat there, no matter what your tastes are. The rooms were fairly quiet, clean & the stay overall was quite nice. It's not the cheapest place, but not the most expensive by far. Great value for the money, & the location can't be beat! Also, probably the best wi fi I've had in a hotel, with both wired AND wireless. (Though I can't verify wired 100%, as this time we didn't use it like we normally do, but it's advertised) Each room is equipped with the usual mini fridge, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, etc. Some rooms supposedly have a microwave but ours did not. Overall, as of LAST year, (2015) I give it 4 stars. Amazing, friendly & helpful staff, (who spoke English we could understand!) and overall great stay, with clean & fairly modern rooms. HOWEVER.... Because we were happy with our stay, we decided to rebook here this year for the Expo. When we find a place we like, we keep going back & recommending it to others. I tried to book my room, & noticed prices went up about $10-$20 a night, (no biggie) but when I chose our 2 nights, the price jumped another $40+!!! I feel ripped off...almost dirty! I get the overall price increase, (prices 4 everything 4 up) and even a $10-$15 jump a night for a special event, (though even that seems wrong) but seriously, $40 plus a night? If I was basing my review on that alone, it would drop to 2 stars! These events are costly enough, with tickets, fuel, food & heaven forbid you buy anything, (autographs are $50-$75 or more a piece) but adding on $40 plus a night seems crooked. Possibly a management change? I think we'll be trying another place. Too bad. I liked it here. But if it's not a special event, this is an ok place. PS-I saw another review mention having to leave his shoes on...you should do that in ANY hotel, no matter HOW nice! Cleaning staff can't shampoo every day, & you never know WHAT some person is doing in their room. That's not a reflection of the hotel, but the guests. Bring slippers! I do.

This best western is not the nicest but it's on par with the Days Inn up the street. This BW is an aged hotel. The rooms need a face-lift... I wore my boots the entire time as the floor was quite stained and filthy looking. There was someone else's strands of hair on my bed. The toilet flusher needed to be held to get a good flush and it was quite the loud flush. I'm sure the neighbour's could hear it each time lol However everything worked and the service was great. Free parking, free WiFi, free decent hot breakfast

My husband and I stayed here Friday night and enjoyed our stay. The check in/out was fast and the front desk staff were very friendly. Room and hallways were clean, bed was amazingly comfortable, breakfast was very good (pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, pastries, oatmeal and fruit). We had one problem while we were there but was not the fault of the hotel. At about 2:30 am I awoke to people arguing and yelling, called the front desk and approximately 5 minutes later there was peace and quiet again. Found out in the morning from the fellow at the front desk that the police were called in immediately and the people in that room were escorted out. Really impressed with the quick response. Would stay here again.

The Hotel was average, standard comfort and amenities. Included Breakfast however for a 'celiac' the options are quite limited, might be better to eat out. The staff were pleasant as expected, nothing that really stands out.

one a whim, while visiting my son in Montana, we decided to drive to Calgary to see a Shark's game. We needed a hotel and knew we could trust the Best Western franchise. We were not disappointed. this was a few blocks from the game. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. All amenities were excellent.

Great location - close in to downtown. Parking is easy, very available and very secure. rooms are always quiet for road noise. Very clean and very professional and courteous staff. Reasonable rates and breakfast is exceptional. Stayed for business and also with my wife and family for pleasure on other trips - always great accommodation.

We arrived late evening, check in was done in the most efficient manner ever seen. It didn't take longer than one minute to finalize the check in procedures and this was done by a very friendly and welcoming front desk officer. Swimming pool is small but nice, rooms are outdated and old but clean. Breakfast was not much of a variety but good to get you going. In a nutshell, nothing special but good enough for a short stay...

We always stay at this hotel when we have events to go to at or near the calgary saddledome. Plus easy access to four major shopping centres not to mention Mcleod trail full of stores of anything you might be looking for . Staff is great.

We were very happy with our stay. The beds were comfortable. The decor makes you feel like your staying in a much more expensive hotel. The staff were very friendly. Made us feel like we got a bang for our buck.

Our stay at the Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn was very good as usual. We have stayed there before and like it for the ease to find it and closeness to various amenities. They are very helpful and have a pool for our grandsons. Breakfast is also good with variety and hot items. We had 2 rooms and were pleased they could have the rooms next to each other. Thank you

The hotel was clean. The check in staff on Friday was friendly. We book a Jacuzzi suite and the Jacuzzi did not work. Three calls were made to the front desk and the problem was never solved. Upon check out I asked to speak with a manager and there was no Manager on Duty. This is unacceptable. The problem should have been resolved at the time not a day later. The hotel says they will refund us some money however this is a weekend that we look forward to every year and it did not turn out the way it was supposed to.

Very clean and well maintained hotel, staff are very pleasant and helpful. Easy access to Stampede Park and downtown Calgary, have stayed here several time over the past several years and would definitely return.

stayed at the Best western plus on macleod trail nov 13 and saturday nov 14,firat night could not sleep because traffic noise was so loud ,very thin windows,rug was very dirty bathroom door made this banging sound when shutting on a spring ,then you had to hold it open manual after a shower because fan was not strong enough to get out steam and nothing to hold open ,was very surprissed because had stayed in BW plus many times before [not this one ]when i complained the following morning the front desk said yes they knew all these things and had changed the sign to a plus some time ago and would be doing upgrades at the end of the month,i said but your charging me PLUS rates ,yes he said but he would change that ,he then changed us rooms to the 4th floor facing the back much bigger but just as stained rug ,same squeeky bathroom door [but he gave me a rubber stopper for it now,which rolled into a ball and door still closed]now we have the train going by every 20 minutes then garbage pickup at 130am ,did we sleep hell no ,then in the morning getting out of shower i got a glass splinter from the cracked floor tile ,got it out thank goodness complained down stairs they adjusted the room from 142 to 116 plus tax ,told him to tell manager to call me ,she finally did today [guess it was not top on her list]she told me it was the hockey team that made a mess ,i told her we did not hear anything from a hockey team ,those stains were there way long ago this hotel was a 2and half at best but charged for a 5 ,so if u stayed there since the sign has been up i would take them to task on it ,this is just wrong ,also the manager is supposed to have the owner call me wonder how long that will take if at all ,again RUN don;t walk ,this is a 2 and half at best in my opinion ,apparently they are renovating did not see signs of that ,but heard lots of excuses, will definitely think about Best westerns plus in the future

Booked a bit last minute but got a good room. Down from Edmonton to volunteer for WE DAY and they were very helpful in directing us to event. Also providing us with take out options. Would definitely stay again. Staff was great

Great people, and convenient location. Breakfast attendant very thorough, good food. A solid place to stay, but check bed and inside pillow cases for hair........... just sayin........ Beds very comfortable. bathrooms very old, tub very small and slow drains.... real bath fan though !!

This hotel is located just minutes from downtown and right next to the Stampede Park. A clean hotel, spotless rooms, really comfortable beds. And incredibly helpful, friendly staff. And a free breakfast is a great thing. But what makes this hotel our go to hotel in Calgary is that they still offer smoking rooms. We aren't treated like lepers here. I can highly recommend this hotel. It would be nice if there were a restaurant close by but since it is only minutes to downtown, that isn't a huge problem

Always clean, quiet, with good hot continental breakfast. Hot tub/pool was clean, with good temperatures. Lots of towels, pool side chairs in a sunny atmosphere. Access in and out is quite good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices appear a bit high, but with everything going up it has to be lived with. Will definitely stay at this McLeod Trail property again.

Hotel was in excellent condition and the staff were very helpful and professional. I was impressed with the exceptional decor of the hotel, felt like a much more expensive facility. Great value and great location

On our first visit to Calgary in many years, we were very impressed by the size and comfort of the rooms at the Best Western Plus Calgary Centre, However, we had decided not to rent a car on this visit, and found out that this motel is not really convenient for walkers. There are very few reputable restaurants in near proximity and it was nearly a $50 cab ride to & from the airport. Staff were excellent and despite the fact that the motel is located on a very busy street, the rooms are very quiet. Also this motel actually has decent lighting in the bathroom for shaving, applying make-up, etc which is a rarity in this day & age.

Hotel/room was clean and up to date. Included breakfast had every item you could want, But the customer service was outstanding. The location is on a fairly busy street, and the parking is not the greatest, but it's okay. The pool and fitness centre are clean and not outdated. I would recommend this hotel.

Fabulous hotel all around!! Great location and very friendly staff!! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Great wifi connection. The breakfast is superb and defiantly deluxe. We didn't go to the pool but it looked very nice. I'd recommend anyone to stay here.

If you are looking for the place to stay and move on or just transit at Calgary, this hotel is very good option. Big double beds. Free parking in front of the hotel. Hot breakfast. Coin laundry. Hair dryer. The price is ok for cleanness and convenience.
