    « Clean & Friendly »

We stayed here for one week and found the rooms to be well appointed and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a cafe and convenience store located on the ground floor of the hotel, (& several restaurants etc). Located approx a 10-15 minute taxi ride from most popular attractions, making it a very convenient location. There are also many markets, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend hotel to fellow travellers for business or a holiday.

« So Far So Good »

We have 4 nights stay in this hotel on mid-NOV 2016. In general, the room is convenient with a sufficient space to allow for full opening of 28" luggage box. The location is little far away from the train station, it takes around 10 minutes walk and recommend to walk from Exit 5 of train station to G/F which has an escalator to ease of your travelling with belongings. The air conditioning inside room seems to be centrally operated, which is in warm air mode and cannot lower the temperature no matter what temperature you adjusted. The room always keep in 26.5 degree, we have no choice to open window for more fresh air and better ventilation. There are lots of restaurants along the lane of this hotel, it is no worries on food and drink. I highly recommend all visitors to have photos of Korean food you prefer saved in cellphone as not less restaurants are lack of English menu and picture of foods for your ordering. Your choice will then be restricted, and you can order what you see from others who are in meal. This hotel seems to be hot for tour group, so you should early make booking should you would like to stay. One more thing, try NOT to access in/out hotel during the time session (1730 - 1830) since elevator will be fully occupied by the tour group. They are back from shopping and ready to go out for dinner, so you have to wait for at least 4-5 rounds for elevator service.

« Good spot for a short sightseeing »

We had a two-night stay in Busan for some sightseeing, and were lucky to have chosen Seomyeon area; it was in half-way between the beach areas and Haedong Yonggungsa temple in the east, and Gamcheon cultural village and Jagalchi fish market in the west. Seomyoen metro station was possible to reach in 15 minutes, and in rain most of the walk could be taken in the underground shopping alley. In the Seomyoen area itself there are lots of cafes and restaurants. Two of us stayed in a regular double room, and three of us in traditional Korean ondole, which meant traditional (not so soft) mattresses on the floor and a low table with pillows to sit on. The overall look of the hotel was modern and clean. This applied to rooms, bathrooms and common areas. Our booking did not contain breakfast, and we considered buying it separately on the first morning, but noticed that breakfast time had ended at 9:30. So we no experience on breakfast. There is a café downstairs, a McDonalds and a convenience store a five-minute walk away for other breakfast options. The gym looked nice but we didn't try it. The reception staff were friendly; we didn't need any extra services. Having reception on the third floor was a bit unusual. We found the hotel quite convenient for a short stay. Originally we chose the hotel because there were not so many options that provided rooms for three persons.

« Small room but comfortable »

Room is generally smaller but comfortable. Breakfast selection is quite limited. Got lot of eating areas at the vicinity. Found a cheap convenience stall nearby too where you can buy some local products.

    « Great central location »

We had a great experience, pleasant staff and clean and comfortable. Coffee shop downstairs was an added bonus. Quick walk to subway to explore other parts of the city and a delicious noodle shop around the corner. Only complaint, no crib for people traveling with babies.

« Excellent Business Hotel in Downtown Busan »

Best Western UL Busan is a great hotel with small but cosy rooms and bang on the main street where all the action is right when you step out of the building! The rooms are very small but cosy so one doesn't feel the small space too much. For a short stay, it is perfect. The Hotel should include breakfast in their price. Price is not bad.

    « Clean, spacious, comfortable »

The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is in a very hopping part of the city (Seomyeon) so there is nevrr a shortage of things to do nearby. I have recommended this place to several out of town friends who have all enjoyed it as well. Replacement toothbrushes will need to be purchased downstairs from the convenience store.

« Very small room but location is the key! »

Close to station. Close to the shopping areas of seo meon. Room is very small but modern and new. Acceptable for 2 guests. Free wifi Gym is pretty okay(treadmills, bikes and weights) Convenient store and cafe pasccuci located at the 1st floor Staffs speak good english and service was awesome Will come back again!

« The service could be better »

The hotel is located in Busan's shopping complex and is quite near from the subway. Hence, in terms of convenience, I will rate it high. However, the service could have been better. We were disappointed by the fact that we had to pay 10,000 won to rent their adapters. Initially, the receptionist didn't tell me that we have to pay to borrow. Hence, i thought the 10,000 won I passed to him was just the deposit. We think that the hotel should not even rent out their adapters but simply lend them to the guests. Furthermore, there was a shortage of adapters and the one they lent to me was a transformer which was a bulky box. It is definitely not as efficient as the usual adapter. The hotel should prepare more adapters for guests. Also, the room is quite small. However, it has all the basic amenities which are working well. The bed is soft and bouncy which I like.

« Good hotel at a reasonable price »

This hotel is near tons of clubs, bars, and restaurants. The subway station is within walking distance so that you can get to and from Busan station for only 1,300 won each way. The rooms were clean and modern however, I stayed on the 7th floor and even though I think this was a no smoking hotel, I could smell cigarette smoke all throughout the hallway. I did not like the fact that there wasn't a check-in counter in the lobby of the hotel; guests have to check-in on the the 3rd floor which is a weird set up. There is a cafe in the restaurant lobby and you can purchase drinks and sandwiches. There is also a small convenience store in the hotel if you would like to purchase drinks and snacks. The hotel has a spa that offers Thai massages and you will find a 50% off coupon in your room for this service. Overall not a bad place to stay.

« Great hotel, amazing hospitality »

The hotel was in a great location (although the taxi drivers had trouble finding it, even when I pointed out the turning to take!), and the staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. The manager of the hotel was in the bar when we were discussing what we were going to do, and he was obviously very kind and knowledgeable. We stayed in a family room for one night, but when our flight to Jeju was cancelled, we rebooked a double room for an extra night. The spa is definitely worth a visit (there was even a 50% voucher in our hotel room). I had a Thai massage, and felt incredibly relaxed (although perhaps a little sore) afterwards.

    « Quirky Modern Construction »

I spent a night at the Best Western UL while passing through Busan. The hotel is new construction and is situated a bit of a walk from the Seomyeon subway station. There are lots of restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood, so I skipped the breakfast service. Check in and check out was at tables on the third floor, which had a bit of formality I came to expect in SE Asia rather than here. Staff was courteous and helped me find a vegetarian restaurant in the neighborhood (almost all signage is Korean only, so it was a bit tricky), and I had no trouble leaving luggage for the day when checking out. My hotel room was a bit snug but had a good view. Awkwardly, the bathroom is exposed to the rest of the room with large windows in the shower. You can draw the curtains, but privacy isn't 100%, so I recommend staying in the room by yourself or with a close family member only. Also, I was surprised to see that the tap water is not potable. Don't drink the tap water! Overall, this hotel worked well enough, but it's better suited to business travelers. I'll probably stay elsewhere on my next trip to Busan.

« one of the best hotel I've ever stayed! »

Stayed at the Korean style room for a night with three of my friends. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel looks very new, modest and clean. The Korean style room is the definition of a perfect hotel room (and hotel room toilet)! Its spacious, super clean, and just simply perfect. Overall, my friends and i were really really satisfied with our stay here.

« A comfortable and convenient downtown hotel »

I stayed 2 nights in Best Western UL Busan hotel. The hotel location is very good, few minutes walk to the metro station, there are three convenient stores just located behind of the hotel. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The room is clean and spacious for a twin bed room. There are enough space for two suitcases. The breakfast was just ok, not many choices. Overall this is a nice hotel to stay in Busan, new, comfortable and good location.

« Reasonably priced modern rooms »

Booked a supreme double room and it was fairly large for a room in South Korea. The price was great (under $90). Location is central to tons of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping. Taxis are easy to catch right outside of the hotel. The hotel even offers free drink tickets upon arrival. Received a 50% off Thai massage discount ticket upon checking in as well. All in all a great hotel that is reasonably priced.

« Poor Service and minimum amenities »

Minimum Amenities provided in room, no slippers, no tooth brush, no cup for tooth brush. Do not provide face cloth unless you ask for them. No tea bags, sugar or coffee cream, only two bags of constant coffee mix provided. The room is extremely small, barely fit in a double bed. You can only get into bed on one side of bed, the other side is no more than 10 inches from the widow. Therefore, do not attempt to get in from that side. Staff do not acknowledge hotel member's status. No upgrade for Dimond members. Other hotel chains always acknowledge hotel members' status and do attempt to upgrade Diamond or Gold members whenever they can. However, not this hotel. The staff have no clue what they are doing. Almost all Staff do no speak or understand English. They are rude and made no efforts to help. The exception was the houskepping staff, the person who asnswer the call had good English skill and the staff who deliver what we requested was pleasant and understood more English than the front desk staff. I have to say the hotel is clean and bright but I will not return unless they improve their service

    « ?? UL?? »

it was near from subway station, it took 3 minutes on foot. the way to the hotel was very simply just going straight. it was located between hawoondae and pusan station. it was impossible to be offered service as bw diamond members such as room upgrade. hotel employee said. they were not well trained, very young but kind regarding the hotel price, your choice for this hotel is not bad. but room conditon of this hotel was awful, was not clean, you could find dusts in several spot of the room. water pressure is not proper, when you turn on the faucet

« An awesome stay with superb service!! »

We stayed for 2 nights over the new year eve. Everything we need is just a doorstep away. Very close to the subway. We really enjoy our stay with Best Western UL with the excellent service. My hubby and I would like to specially thank the hotel front desk manager who have attended to us -Mr Edward Jang who've gone to an extra mile to help us book a side trip so that we can make our way to Deogyusan National park (as the transportation tour bus website are only available in Korean). A big thank you to Edward Jang for being so helpful and making us feel so at home during our stay! We have an awesome experience at both busan and Muju ski resort. Winnie and Marcus

    « convenience , clean and tidy »

The hotel is very near underground transportation and underground shopping street. Many food shop and restaurants is near the hotel. The room is very clean and tidy . The staff is very nice and friendly . The price is reasonable. Overall is excellent!

    « Good location,Worst breakfast »

We stayed here for two nights as we have event in Lotte. Location is ok. Room is too small. Room amenites on average. People there's a big language barrier. Breakfast worst, thinking that this is one of International chain hotel. All in average stay. I will not recommend this hotel specially for families. Value your money look for better hotel.

« best hotel for visit Busan, cheap and convenient »

I've choiced this hotel because I have a old Best Western Hotel membership. most economical and convenient hotel in Busan area, I guess. Around here, many nice restaurents and pub to visit. 10 mins working for subway station. but Seomyeon station is the center of Busan, so nice to going around.

« Centrally located functional hotel »

Clean, new, modern and centrally located. I stayed one night - a pleasant experience. Things work. The room was quiet even though the hotel is at a busy street. Comfortable bed. The room was not ready when I arrived. The staff recommended some tours. However, some of the materials they have are outdated. Many eateries, restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby - one is spoilt for choice. The subway is just a short walk.

« Urban Lounge on 3rd Floor - Very Good Experience With Manager »

We stopped into the 3rd floor lounge for a drink on our way out, and the General Manager, Harry Kim, welcomed us with open arms. He came over to us for a great conversation and made us feel very welcomed. Kudos to a great manager and great person!

« Situated in a cosy corner of busy vicinity »

it is an active and busy area nearby and this hotel is just away from the noisy street but within walking distance to the active vicinity, very convenient. Surprisingly this hotel only provide coffee pack, we ask for tea bag (written for chambermaid) but sometime not supplied.

    « A new hotel worth a visit! »

The hotel is brand new and that gives it something extra. Everything clean. It was nice to get a complimentary breakfast. The staff is very helpful, yet the knowledge of English is on average quite meagre. The location is good and if you are lazy - taxi's are cheap in Busan. If you book, book a superior room. The other ones are small.

    « Convenient & Centrally located »

Location of the Best Western UL Busan Hotel was very central in Seomyun Area of Busan. Taxis were easily available at all times of day & night to catch an early morning flight or go for an early / late meeting. Rates were reasonable and suitable for business travellers and tourists. Check in & Check out was fast and convenient. Staff was very courteous and efficient. The General Manager, Harry Kim, was at hand to seek out customers and ask about their requirements and amenities. Rooms & bathrooms were very modern with updated amenities. Though smallish, it was not a cramped feeling. Breakfast was served on the 2nd floor coffee shop and was a very decent spread with International & local selection available. A traditional Thai Spa on premises provided good treatment to overcome jet lag & general tiredness. Additional eat & drink options were available on the ground level, as well as several more just a few yards from the hotel.

« Average Best Western Experience »

This hotel is so unremarkable boring, I have thought of skipping a review for it. To sum up the experience here - "Average Best Western Experience" is the best description to it. Nothing outstanding nor anything to be faulted, just plain boring and without a clear identity. Location: Not bad at all, located on the edge of the Seomyeon (Westside), there were no shortage of action around the hotel: food, shopping, night clubs, you name it are all opened all the way to 2-3am. Security: Elevators are key card locked, back door is locked at night. Front entrance is guarded over night, all round pretty secured. Services: Usual service that you'd expect from a Best Western, nothing overwhelmingly good, but its good enough for me. Maps and travel advise can be easily obtained from the front desk, most staffs speak enough English for effective communication. Dinning: Breakfast is only included if you book directly through Best Western site, I did not have that privilege. There is a cafe located on the ground floor which I didn't try and a small convenient store and a donut shop located at the back of the hotel that provides simple bites. But you need no to worry about food, simply walk out the door and you'll have more than enough choice outside. Facilities: Besides a coffee shop on the ground floor, a donut shop and a convenient store, there isn't really much facility inside this property. However the free underground parking is a really good feature for traveller with a rental car. Rooms: Below standard in size, super small and it felt so cramped. The bed however is quite comfortable. Room was cleaned properly and looks quite new and modern. Bottom Line: Try else where with this price tag.
