Best Western Plus Burnaby Hotel

The hotel is very clean and safe and quiet and me and my friend had a fantastic experience there with stuff that let us know more about Vancouver and the address because we were new in Canada and it was helpful thanks them and the breakfast was perfect

Our room was very clean and in good repair. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There is a large vanity so more than 1 person can get ready at the same time. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet and dark so could sleep easily. This is a great location within walking distance to the Metropolis and the Metrotown Skytrain station; it was very easy to get everywhere that we wanted to go without a car. The included breakfast had lots of options and everything was hot and fresh. The only note I would make is that there are not many places to plug in your devices to charge. I was not working on this trip but the desk would likely get uncomfortable after a few hours.

The title says it all. The location is convienient if you are driving, and reasonable if you are taking public transit. However, since the area is heavily car-dependent, you really need a car to get around.

It was an ok time to myself. I found everything I needed and the room was clean and contained everything I could have needed. However there is always room for improvement. The coffee machine supplied was horrible and I would have preferred a normal coffeemaker. The condiments were minimal and lets face sugar packets don't hold half a teaspoon of sugar. I prefer my coffee blond however I was limited due to a shortage of coffee whitener.

Good Location, close to lots of amenities. Easy access to the Highway to get around the Lower mainland. Worth the stop comparing the prices in Vancouver. Deer Lake Park and Central Parks are close for a work break. Metro town is just down the street for shopping

Great location near everything. Lots of restaurants and a few blocks from Metrotown/Metropolis. Super friendly staff. I booked using app, applied my BW electronic gift cards. Confirmation email shows everything with final amounts. Upon checking in and out, the cards were nowhere to be found. Had to go back after checking out to get them applied. Good thing I took screenshots of them. Had an issue checking in where my card was declined. Called bank and they said it was a problem on hotel's side. Nice clean rooms and breakfast was on one side of an attached Chinese restaurant.

This was a fine chain motel. Expensive for what it was, but way cheaper than closer to downtown. Easy 10 minute walk to the Metro. Good breakfast and staff was friendly. Lots of Asian restaurants nearby.

Locations is open to anyone walking through the parking lot hence my car being interfered with, restaurant was traditional Chinese, scary menu. Smooth floor tiles on all walkways which turned into a skating ring when it rained no warning signs.

We've been going to the Best Western hotel in Burnaby every summer for a few years now. Great service, clean and comfortable rooms and a great location! The pool is heated, very clean too! We will be going again for years to come!

This hotel was in a great location in Burnaby by many amenities and close off the highway to get to. There was ample parking. The rooms were good size, clean, and well maintained. The pool areas was clean with lots of places to sit (lounge chairs, tables) with fresh towels regularly put out. The fitness centre was small but had cardio and weight equipment in good working order and clean. The breakfast was excellent, good hours and hot buffet with lots of options and variety and places to sit. The staff at the lobby and breakfast bar were very friendly and eager to help. I would definitely come back to this hotel should I need to come to Burnaby again.

We stayed at the best western Burnaby this past week and we enjoyed staying there so much we will definitely return. They had a pool just a few steps away from my room for the kids, self serve laundry services which was so convenient and so clean and modern.

Location just north off Kingsway, friendly & efficient Reception, parking close to room with vehicle visible, spacious rooms, okay WiFi reception, good washroom/toilet/shower fixtures, comfortable queen-sized beds, excellent breakfast location and extensive food selections, a bit pricey when we last visited but that's the cost of success.

Pleasant, spacious room. Excellent breakfast choices, other than the bacon being undercooked and inedible. Comfortable bed, ample counter space and power outlets. Instant hot water. Good wifi and TV choices. Attentive housekeeper with daily service. Bathroom door opens out which closes off sink area. No microwave. Not very convenient to tourist attractions, through heavy traffic with a stoplight every single block for miles.

We arrived at this hotel after four in the afternoon and our room was not ready. We left and returned around eight and was told the room was ready and we checked in. Upon entering the room, we noticed a peculiar smell and a device sitting on the counter, making a lot of noise. We turned it off and the smell was stronger. We decided we could deal with it that night. The drapes wouldn't close all the way and we had to use a bag clip to keep it closed all the way in the center. The outlet by the sink did not work. The tv was glitchy. We were really glad we were only staying one night. The only thing that was impressive was the breakfast. It was very good and the workers there very pleasant and kind. The front desk was also very pleasant and understanding but I don't think I would stay there again. I gave it two stars, because the breakfast was really good, but the room was barely one star.

Not too far from cruise port or some pre-cruise sightseeing. Room was clean, staff was great. This is a motel with outside door access, not closed halls, if this bothers you. Breakfast was good. Everyone very friendly.

This was my first stay in Vancouver, and choosing Best Western Burnaby hotel on Kingsway was the best choice i have made for this trip. I have booked a 2 Queen bed room, the quality of bedding and furniture is excellent, the hotel location and setup is great, last but definitely not least (actually the most) is the quality of service and the friendless of the staffs: being taken care of by Aruna at the front desk, everything went great with such a kind and welcoming professional. I need to mention the amazing breakfast with a generous buffet and diverse offering led by Eva and the team in a very cosy Breakfast room near the reception lobby. Highly Recommended for visitors of Vancouver BC

Everything was really great at this hotel - the breakfast, cleanliness, and the frienliness of all staff we encountered. The room was spacious and clean, and the amenities were all in good working order

The man at the front desk who checked us in was very helpful in finding us a first-floor room instead of the second-floor room we'd been assigned. He was also very thorough in telling us about how to get to our room, about breakfast, etc. Breakfast was great! It was in a restaurant on the premises (but had to walk outside to get to it). There was a good variety of hot and cold food and they kept it well supplied. The hotel room was larger than most. There is nice large laundry room on the premises with inexpensive washer & dryer (ice machine also in that room). The beds were comfy, the shower was good, we had plenty of towels and toilet paper, everything was clean and in good repair, all the lights worked. The sink and counter were separate from the toilet & tub and there was a nice big counter. There was a power strip next to the bed where I plugged in my phone charger. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby. We like the citrus fragrance of the supplied soaps and shampoo, etc. This was one of the best places we've stayed!

10/10. This is a quiet little oasis in the big city. Motel style doors and a beautiful little heated pool. It was quiet and serene. When I missed my first flight and had to cancel one of my nights at 7pm Expedia refused to cancel me but the hotel clerk changed it for me the next day. Very happy with this hotel. Close to skytrain and dining. Prefer staying here over the bigger and more expensive hotels closer to Metrotown and a great morning free breakfast plus large parking stalls. 10/10.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay here! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. And the breakfast buffet had lots of options. We hadn't stayed in a hotel in the Vancouver area for a while, but we were very happy with the value we got for the price!

Busy hotel but quiet rooms, couldn't really hear anyone else. Great location for getting around Burnaby. Front desk staff were extremely accommodating, which we really appreciated as we had to change our check out date a couple of times. They dug our car out after the big snowstorm and helped us get on the road.

Staff at the front desk was extremely helpful even though I showed up late with no booking, I got the best deal on price I paid and she gave me a discount because I had a best western plus membership, very great price for the night

This was my first stay at this hotel, and I was pleased to find the property met or exceeded Best Western standards in all areas. My room was clean, comfortable and spacious yet cozy. It was much quieter than I expected. All the amenities were excellent, including a t.v. with good programming. Unfortunately I was not able to use the breakfast service or the fitness room. All of the staff I encountered during my stay were courteous, helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again, even if means I need to travel further for work.

After years of driving down Kingsway on our commute home to New Westminster and being less than impressed with the strip's various older motels and hotels, we moved to Southeastern BC. We recently had the need to stay overnight in Burnaby, and chose the Best Western. Imagine our surprise to find a thoroughly modern hotel, recently updated, with very clean amenities. Kingsway can be a noisy, busy street, with lots of first responder sirens. But you would not have known it staying in this hotel; our stay was perfectly quiet. Room was well appointed, and staff hugely efficient. I appreciated the all-night security gaurd who also kept an eye on vehicles. I would absolutely stay here again.

This BW is close to the Burnaby Hospital, huge metro town Mall and many restaurants. We have stayed here many times for hospital visits & the Staff has always been very satisfactory. The complimentary hot breakfast is wonderful & a nice convenience. The rooms, while basic are always clean. We appreciate the coffee provided along with the room safe & comfortable bed. Slow internet, but we used our cellular.

Great Place to stay in Vancouver, BC. It has an EV charging and was able to start at 100% charged when starting everyday to explore the city using my EV. The room was clean and spacious. The receptionist was very courteous and breakfast was great! I would highly recommend if you have an EV.

Stayed one night for business in Burnaby. The hotel is really a motel. Plenty of space to park. The outdoor pool was not open during my stay. Checkin was easy. The room is dated and not sound proofed. I was on the main floor and could hear the people in the room above me. The hotel is not in a very nice part of Burnaby so security at times could be an issue. Many police cars and sirens throughout the evening and night. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom products were ok. The water pressure and temperature were very good. The complimentary breakfast was decent (eggs, breads, cereals, a DIY waffle and pancake stations, yogurt and some fruit). The staff were friendly. The hotel is not near anything so you need to drive wherever you wanted to go. Overall, you get what you pay for. For a short stay for business (when you're not most of the time in the hotel or on the property) it is fine. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is perfectly located for transport links into Vancouver, and visiting dining/shopping establishments, without a car. We found the property to be very clean, offering a great free breakfast, comfortable beds, decent shower - and a nice pool area to relax in after a busy day out and about. Some rooms allow pets, and they could sometimes be heard during our stay. We would stay here upon returning to the area.

This hotel was conveniently located for our one night in Vancouver, visiting relatives in Burnaby before flying out of town. The bedding and bathrooms are very clean, but the walls need to be washed in places. The rooms are small and the soundproofing is not great (particularly if you are on the first floor, where you can hear a lot of movement in the room above.) My hair dryer blew the outlet in the bathroom within about thirty seconds of use, and there is no other outlet anywhere nearby. The continental breakfast is on par with what you would expect for a hotel in this price range. Overall, a clean and serviceable hotel for the price.

Had all the right things! Comfy functional room, great location( easy to get to, close to shopping and transit) , delicious breakfast, heated outdoor pool, helpful friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was easy to find, especially since we arrived near 10 p.m. The hotel clerk was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to staying there again.

The is a fairly good bang for your buck in Burnaby/Vancouver area, but I definitely expected my trip to be better. The front staff was amazing, but the second we walked into our room it smelled like cigarettes and cleaning products. It immediately gave me a headache. My guess is that the last guest was smoking in the room and the cleaning staff decided to try and cover it up with cleaning products. We tried leaving the windows open but none of the windows open which definitely seems like a fire hazard. The scent was so unbearable that we ended up leaving the door open as a last resort which is frankly unsafe.

Front desk helpful, checkin in quick, bed comfortable, we only stay one night but would come back again. Comfortable bed is really important to have a really good night sleep when travelling. the only negative is the breakfast very basic.

I have stayed at more expensive hotels, but the breakfast at this Best Western is fantastic! The hot breakfast buffet was the best way to kickstart our mornings and share a hot meal with family. The cleaning staff were also incredible kind, friendly, and did an exceptional job in keeping our rooms comfortable during our stay. Two pieces of advice: 1) if you request a rollaway bed, request extra comforters and sheets and 2) if you have sensitive skin, the towels may be too rough on you so bring your own. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here with my family and will be considering future Best Western locations for future trips.

Nice older style hotel. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Nice sized television and decent coffee offered. Breakfast had excellent choices of hot or cold items. Staff well trained, pleasant and helpful.

Very nice 3 star hotel. Room was very clean, internet worked well, and the free breakfast was actually a full breakfast not just a muffin and fruit. Close to the Metrotown mall and some great restaurants.

This location is great for the Blues and Folk Festival. Within walking distance but also short Uber ride away. Clean room. Friendly front desk staff. We brought our dog with us- it would be nice if they had a garbage can outside of the hotel for pet waste. For some reason as a Best western elite member I was given two bottles of water when I checked in. I don't understand why Best Western is doing this, with the amount of plastic waste that is not being recycled in our country. This gives a message to international travellers that our water in BC is not fit to drink. When in reality our water is some of the best in the world. This is not a hotel decision but a corporate decision that needs to be stopped. As well, best western would be saving money if they went to jugs of shampoo conditioner and lotion mounted on the wall rather than tiny bottles that end up getting “recycled“. We all have to do our part to help our reliance on plastics, and Best western as a business should be making better environmental decisions.

I was there kast summer with my family and this year we decided to return there it ckean and close to métropolis and sky line. Tge breakfast is very good and my kids enoyed the outdoor pool. I strongly recommend this hotel

This Best Western Plus hotel at Burnaby was a surprise for my family. At the last leg of our vacation, we enjoyed the 3-night stay. The room is clean and spacious, staff are courteous, and the hot breakfast is great. Though we were assigned a room behind the elevator without window views, we are still happy that we chose this hotel.

Our room was clean and staff most accomodating. Reception staff exceptional. Our luggage arrived 4 days after arrival and they kept us posted. The daily breakfast included waffles, pancakes, bacon or sausage, a variety of breads and muffins and upon request gluten free items. Coffee was a bit strong but ok. Juice machine also. Our room was clean and they made the room up according to our request(covid). Very centrally located and up the street from largest mall in B.C. : Metropolis which was within walking distance. There is a lovely pool but towels not supplied.

Good value, good location. Rooms are clean. It is nice because it is on a major street, but once you are in the parking lot it feels very private. Beds are comfy. I have stayed at this hotel around 20 nights over the last 5 years and it is a good place to stay.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The rooms and hotel in general was a bit outdated. One of the best places around for the price point. Close to what I was there to do and served my needs.

This hotel has a strange layout as the buildings are Inter connected with walkways. We were close to the pool and it was away from the road and fairly quiet. We didn't have a microwave in our room to pop popcorn but when I complained they brought one right up. The breakfast was also good with mandarin oranges and bananas along with pancakes from the automatic pancake maker.

We stayed here from.June 20- July 1 inclusive. The rooms were clean and the daily breakfast included a variety of choice. The staff were excellent and maintained cleanliness at all times. The location is central with the largest indoor mall in BC located nearby. Due to the on-going airport fiasco, we were to leave on June 29. The hotel was fully booked but we were accommodated! Highly recommend. Front line receptionists were excellent and friendly. Thanks!

Excellent staff and room. Great value for your money. Free parking. Close to numerous attractions and restaurants. Nice breakfast buffet available at no cost. Comfortable sleep Air conditioner not overly loud.

This motel is spread out over a large area with two story buildings. Rooms are dated, but clean and quiet. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was very good with many choices. (The coffee, however, was terrible.) The only real problem was the wifi. It was either very weak or unavailable the entire 4 days spent here.

Hotels with their doors opening to the outside has no security and the window is usually accessible by anybody passing through the balcony. It lacks some form of privacy. Not good for relaxed vacations unless for business purposes for only a guest. Not sure if I would use such motels when travelling with family due to less security.

Overall cleanliness is good. But there was a trace of cigarette smoke smell. Maybe they can find a way to totally eliminate the smell. The breakfast is good. A lot of food to choose from. And the parking lot is free of charge. Recommended.

We stayed here a week. The rooms are a great size and exceptionally clean! The Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the vending machine for laundry soap. The front desk got me one and within minutes someone was fixing the machine. Not once did we ever see garbage or cigarette buts anywhere on the property. We have travelled throughout covid to several Best Westerns .This one is by far. The BEST! OH ! And the outdoor pool is heated and clean! They provide towels. A ten minute walk to the skytrain at Royal Oaks. Or walk 15 mins to The HUGE Metro Mall and hop on there. Can't forget the free breakfast. I am celiac and had lots of options!

Good room with decent price. All staffs giving their best service. Breakfast one of the best. Location conveniently close to anything you need. Plenty of free parking space. There are floors without elevator access, so if you are physically challenged and have difficulty with stairs or come with heavy lugage, call ahead so they can give better access room.

The team at BW in Burnaby were very accommodating, and friendly, and we were greeted with a warm smile. The room was fresh, and very clean. Breakfast was warm, and it was healthy and we had lot of choices which made a good start to our day.

We found this Burnaby BW because it is very close to a medical office referred to us. But it is also walking distance to a White Spot and Denny's. A few blocks from the huge Metrotown Mall. Both front desk people were extremely welcoming and helpful; and our room was clean. There are rooms in the back which are surprisingly quiet for being on busy Kingsway. We were given bottled waters and a small snack on arrival, along with two complimentary breakfast coupons. We will return for future stays.

We stayed for several nights and really liked the pet friendly suite. There's lots of parking, making it easy to load and unload, and the room was very clean and tidy. We enjoyed the included continental breakfast as well.

We were so happy to have been able to book this room when we had to travel for a very short notice medical appointment in Vancouver. The location is great for access to VGH. We needed an accessible room, there wasn't one available. Dinesh facilitated a friendly, informative & efficienet check-in then assigned us to a room that was easy to access from the parking; the room was large enough to accommodate a four-wheeled walker and the bathtub low enough to allow access (we brought our own bath bench.) We slept and woke refreshed and ready for the challenges of the day.

My mom and I only stay here when we visit Vancouver. We love it. Great staff, a little pricy for the night, but worth it, and a little ways out from Van but close to the skytrain and 1 stop from Metrotown Mall. Clean hotel rooms, back to buffet style breakfast, was super yummy.

Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was fresh and a good variety. Location near Metrotown was a great bonus. The only thing I noted that there was a lack of available outlets for all media devices and smart watches etc.

Stayed for 2 nights for a brief stay - we needed to be close by for medical appointments. Felt a little uncomfortable that it was a motel but they had security patrolling constantly. The rate was very good at 149 and a decent breakfast was included. Hotel staff are very friendly. The room smelled pretty musty but was clean and we slept well. No issues - if you are looking for decent value, this is a good option for you.

We had a three night stay here in a one bedroom unit that faced away from the road, and it was very comfortable. The bed was great, loved there were 2 televisions so we could both watch different things, and there was a full fridge.

I like Best Western because the staff are always nice to have you. I will always recommend my friends and people to choose Best Western hotel if they want to be served as they want. The Best Western knows that customer is first.

This hotel was perfect for our stay near a dental specialist. Clean, warm nice beds. All you need! Great location, friendly front desk, free close parking. Highly recommend as it's a no fuss, got it all!

Friendly and efficient Reception, free parking, reasonable price, cozy rooms with new furniture and fixtures. Paid for 2 nights but had to escape after only 1 night because BC was threatening to close the highways due to heavy rains and flooding; the refund was ready within minutes. Great! Looking forward to a relaxed re-visit next summer.

The staff are exceptional! Arunda is amazing!! Booked here because of her. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and staff super friendly. Check in and out was fast. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit too firm for me but was still comfortable.

Very comfortable rooms with breakfast close to Metrotown lots of dinning experiences and shopping . Close to Vancouver 15 km from Granville Island. Near the plamiterium and English Bay and Stanley Park.

Family Reunion. Hotel was located perfectly for everything. Room was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Appreciated the on-site laundry facilities! It is pet friendly but they need a garbage can located someplace outside. Missed the excellent hot breakfast in the breakfast room from previous visits. Hope they bring that back.

Great team of hotel staff. Especially the lady at the front desk! Close to Burnaby Hospital. Room was clean and very comfortable. Hotel has been in this location for some time, but is very well kept and maintained. Room and Bed was very comfortable. Good quality TV for viewing. Close to major shopping center.

The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and really tried to make the stay enjoyable in spite of COVID restrictions. The breakfast was simple but they really tried to have a good selection of basic items. They had some nice treats.

Our stay this time was fine but we have had more appreciation in other times in the past staying at this hotel. The staff were excellent, the breakfast was certainly adequate given the covid-19 protocols in place. The location is very handy to the amenities we look for when we travel to Burnaby. We can look forward to a comfortable place to stay when we need to travel to Burnaby BC.

Service was excellent here .Very Quiet at night. Pillows where super soft, and comfortable . Breakfast was basic but because of Covid there were rules to follow. Its About 15 min from downtown Vancouver if traffic is normal

The front desk staff did not follow through and ensure room was cleaned. After long days out came back to beds not made, binds not emptied and towels not refreshed. Happened 2 days in a row and had extra towels to deal with as the night staff did provide clean ones. But old ones still piled up. Beds were hard and not a great sleep.

This BW is motel style - don't let the 'motel' image or exterior (which is really clean and recently renovated) discourage you from staying here. This is one of the cleanest places we have stayed at - the room we were in was very newly renovated. The free breakfast, although - COVID brown bag style - was really great. Staff are really friendly. Lots of parking.

This is a great location and central to my needs to get around the Lower Mainland easily. Check in/out was great. Breakfast was meh, but due to Covid restrictions I understand. The rooms could use more plug ins or USB connections for charging phones or laptops etc. This is a Motel style property, not a Hotel.

Room was clean, a bit dated but bed was perfect. Stayed during heat wave and AC kept up plus there was a fan in closet. Two complaints we had were we had to track down housekeeping to get fresh towels, coffee, toilet paper and take out garbage other complaint is no use of pool even though online said pool was available. Never gave discount or anything. Wouldn't book private times to use either. Very disappointed. We were there 6 days. Nice place to stay other than that.

The hotel and staff were excellent. We had a slight problem the first night... and within about 2 hours, it was successfully resolved. And it was done in a very personal and accommodating manor. The rooms were HUGE, clean and the location is convenient to pretty much all parts of the city.

We stayed one night at the Burnaby Best Western. We selected it due to the central location and easy access to main vehicle arteries. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful at check in and check out. The breakfast had a good selection and the staff there were quick and helpful in filling our requests. I appreciated their effort working with COVID restrictions to offer a variety and to maintain social distancing for guests and staff.

Our stay was fun. Greeted by friendly people, our rooms were ready on time, room was simple but clean and tidy, beds were comfy, shower was AMAZING, TV was huge, internet spectacular, breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to so many different restaurants. beautiful garden view. Whatever we needed we called front desk and we got it. I would go back again and again.

Location was very convenient for our activities in Vancouver. Facility was well maintained and was following the new safe guidelines. Staff were friendly and helpful. Limited number of eating facilities within walking distance.

I have stayed here 3 times over the last 5yrs. I choose this location as there are so many restaurants in walking distance or a short drive to the hotel. Also from here we (family and I) find it easy to access various malls and stand alone stores that we dont have on Vancouver Island.

The location was great. I travel frequently and have stayed in many high-end hotels and cruise ships and this is the first hotel or ship that has obviously sanitized the TV remote control and put it in a little bag as part of their room cleaning.

Our experience in this hotel was amazing. We had a hectic day and all we wanted was a place to rest. Since the moment I called I felt staff was caring about each detail to make our stay as best as possible. Especially Felix, a person with a high customer focus and kind.

This was our second time staying here and would definitely recommend this hotel. Happy to see their adherence to Covid safety plan so that we felt safe staying at a hotel. Appreciated customer service from front desk calling to see if room was satisfactory and did we need anything else. Nice to be recognized as BW Rewards member.

Stayed in this hotel while transmitting through Vancouver. Hotel was clean, quiet, and safe, they had sanitized pens to use for check in. All rooms have exterior entrances (motel style). Breakfast consisted of a frozen breakfast sandwich that is microwaved in the package, yea and coffee, and lots of prepackaged options (pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt, milk). Overall way better than I was expecting for a free, safe, breakfast. Would definitely stay here again esp right now.

Old, broken and in need of repair & understaffed. The Hotel was run down, problems with heater and had to be replaced twice during our stay along with a plumbing problem with no one qualified to fix it so the manager had to try.

Good Staff, relaxing , enjoyable experience. this hotel is located in the hart of one of the biggest and busiest mal that attracts people from all over. you will find friendly , professional and courteous Staff that are willing to help at any time.

Outstanding location, amenities super clean and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Burnaby BC. We definitely will comeback again. Probably next time I'll be bringing my friends..

First When checking in we were escorted via security to our room ,yes after dark. Second clue sirens all nite long. 2nd nite at Mid nite awaken by “police” I question because of no badge or community name on cruiser. Not RCMP either. After calling from desk they worke up Alberta Plate Vehicles on hunch of 911 call , people from Edmonton. The front desk said they new where the call was from. So my advice is . If your out of province and don't want to be harassed by “ people in some uniform “ Stay somewhere else. Staff rude ! Rooms Noisy! Bedding in need of cleaning ( duvet ).

I booked my 70 year old parents at this pathetic hotel They were woke up by the rcmp banging on their door in the middle of the night, for something that wasn't related to them at all. The hotel manager treated them with complete disrespect in a rude manner, and won't return any calls. I would avoid staying at this dump at all costs. It might be the worst managed hotel in Vancouver.

I stayed at this location for 35 nights and had a great experience thanks to the helpful and caring staff that work here! COVID-19 protocols were taken very seriously at this location with constant sanitizing and cleaning of common areas. The breakfast service is modified to be COVID friendly while still providing a variety of food options. Kathy does the breakfast service most mornings and she is incredibly friendly and kind! Check in/out and booking was very easy - Dinesh at the front desk is super helpful and he really strives to ensure that your stay is the best possible even during COVID times. The room was very clean and because there is no room service for COVID precautions, they do give you the option to change rooms during your stay. You are also provided with clean linens and towels whenever needed. The hotel is in a great location right off a major road and within walking distance to many stores, restaurants, and a major mall. It is also along a main bus route and car rental places are within walking distance. The room I had came with a full kitchen and supplies, a safe, a couch with a pull out bed, a king size bed, and a desk and office chair. The hotel also has coin laundry services and business services like printing/faxing.

Overall is super great! Food was delicious and the facilities and amenities were clean. Sanitizer was present everywhere Room was complete and beds were so comfortable The front desk was very helpful and gave us a wonderful service !

Always happy to return here. Great location and great price. Super fast internet, great parking large rooms and even two EV chargers. There is a restaurant onsite, and several nearby as well as metrotown.

Traveling during the pandemic was a bit less worrisome by having a room with a separate air conditioning system. Check in/out was quick and efficient. Spotlessly clean. Take out breakfast was very good - cereal, milk, yogurt, coffee / tea, fruit, granola bars, pastries. Great service. Was only here for one night, but will return. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel looks new, I haven't been to Vancouver in a few years and know the hotel has been there for years, but it is remodeled or reebuilt?? is really nice. The room is small but nice, good bed and pillows. Very quiet.

Always my first choice. Rositta is friendly, happy for return visits and keeps this place running perfectly. I'd recommend anytime. Internet is fast,the rooms are comfortable and the coffee is good. This location even has two EV charging stations!

This is a large, older renovated motel. Our room was small but clean. Not fancy but does the job. You wouldn't want to spend much time in the room due to its size. The bed was comfortable. The room has an under counter sized fridge. We travelled during the period when things we just reopening due to coronavirus. So it wasn't very busy. They gave us a "grab and go" breakfast instead of the hot one advertised. It consisted of cold foods like yogurt, juice boxes, cereal, sandwich, wrapped sliced loaf or cookie, etc. It was fine but not as good as the BW Sawtooth Inn in Idaho where they cooked our hot breakfast to order and handed it to us to eat in our rooms (this was late March 2020 also during the virus). The location is excellent, close to restaurants and shopping. As for parking, since you enter your room from an exterior door, you obviously want to park as close to your room as possible. We couldn't on that portion of the motel because it was too narrow too allow parking, just a driving corridor. Instead you have to park nearby (100 yards) which is inconvenient for loading and unloading baggage. We drove to our room and unloaded the bags, then parked the car nearby but out of sight of our room. They also have a high concrete step to maneuver from the pavement to the room. Not for those with mobility issues. This was an overnight stay to be fairly close to the ferries at Horseshoe Bay the next morning, and it was a good choice for that purpose.

We had an excellent stay at this property the second time we have stayed here, the place was quite because the Covid 19 and the room was in the back which made it nice! They did say that you could have a hot breakfast, but with the Covid virus I am not sure if they are offering it now!

The hotel was perfect, clean, quiet, and best of all was the front desk staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. Especially the lady on the day shift, every time I walked in the door, she had a big smile, and said “ it's nice to see my smiling face” I said right back at you, she went above and beyond , to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend this hotel, will definately stay here again next visit! Thank you again.

The front end staff were very helpful and courteous, the room was clean and stocked with coffee and amenities. We like this one because it's close to the mall and easy to get to the airport from it.i highly recommend

Booked 2 rooms for Alaska cruise that has been cancelled. The rooms were non refundable. I called the hotel and Danish at the hotel spent 30 minutes on the phone, he called booking.com and arranged for a full refund. This is excellent service and I would definately stay at this hotel again.

The staff at the front desk were 100% welcoming and friendly and knowledgable about our stay and area. The cleaning staff were always on top of their game and friendly. Location is real close to Metrotown. It was a 15 minute walk to the mall and a 25 minute walk to the skytrain. However, if carrying so much luggage, the buses To and from Metrotown only run every 15-30 minutes or so, making for a long wait. The rooms were beautiful and totally worth the price. I paid around $190CAD/night. Very good price for a king size with kitchen and sofabed.

Hotel has perfect location helpful staff and good service, the room was clean but heating was noisy. Overall very satisfied with this hotel will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Hotel staff were all super polite, from cleaning to front desk staff. I asked for a quiet room, and other than a couple of early-rising guests it was wonderful! Breakfast included is amazing, and bacon is crisp (very important ;), eggs are delicious. Conveniently located near lots of restaurants as well, and not far from Metrotown/drugstores. The main comment I want to make, though, is that it was SO CLEAN!! I've stayed at numerous hotels, and you will not find a hotel this clean for this price.

I don't know how many times I've stayed here. There were many! The hotel is beautiful, good location, spacious and clean rooms! I am delighted with the service and attention from the front desk. I need to highlight Shiva's service (I'm sorry if this is not the correct name, but she is a very polite, friendly, friendly and agile lady). Every time I'm at the hotel, we talk about the city I come from - Whistler. She is fabulous and last gave me a gift from the hotel with amenities. In addition, parking is very good. Another highlight for me is the wonderful and tasty breakfast. The restaurant staff, always very attentive and helpful, transform the morning of the guests. The taste of breakfast foods is special. I will come back whenever I can, this is because the price is so incredible that it makes me return here forever!

I stayed there for two nights it was absolutely fantastic, very clean rooms very comfortable beds nice clean shower, did I mention how nice the front staff was during the day very helpful and very kind, well they were GREAT , the night lady was a little rough around the edges. The complementary breakfast was very good. There was one lady in particular her name is Cherry, she was absolutely amazing, wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. I WILL be back for sure

Great hotel. Clean, friendly service. People at front desk are very helpful. Close to restaurants and stores. Not far from the Crystal Mall. We stayed for a week and the breakfast served was great every morning. Have stayed there lots of other times to. Always come back when we go to Vancouver. Other family members have stayed at this hotel also.

For the price it was a good stay, hotel is in a good area, though the room was a little on the smaller side it was clean and quiet, breakfast was good coffee excellent, a little strange to be offered rice rather than a potato dish but it was nice that the breakfast room is open till 10 am if you wish to rise late

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel looks to be recently renovated. Staff were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The hotel was within walking distance to good restaurants and Metrotown so very convenient location.

I was travelling for business and stayed 11 days in this hotel. My flight was delayed and i got in the hotel at 2h30AM and the front desk clerk was great and received me with a smile and even asked me if i was hungry or needed something. I had a room in the back of the hotel and it was quite and peaceful. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Royal Oak skytrain station and about 13 minute walk to the Metretown shopping center. Plenty of restaureants in short walking distance from the hotel. It cost me around $50 CAD tip included from the airport for a taxi ride. So if your visiting Vancoucer you dont need to bother for a rental car. If you dont want to walk to the metrotown mall, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus will take you to the mall and next to the Metrotown skytrain station. I was there during a major snow storm, and most of the city buses and skytrains were out of service. Taxi's were hard to get and an hotel employee kindly drove me and my collegue to our customers site for a meeting. The restaurant offers a great breakfast and staff was really kind and greated customers with a smile every morning. Room are clean and room service is great. I highly recommand this place without hesitation and will be back.

This was a good stay. We were warmly welcomed, had excellent service. Breakfast was above the average BW standard. Good value for hotels in this area. Newly upgraded, clean accessible what else could you want.

We always stay here when we come to town for our grandkids hockey tournaments we have never had a bad experience .The staff are great and the breakfast is always hot and different every day and starts early so we can eat before games . After games metro town is only about five minutes away on same street we love it

This hotel was Good value for the Vancouver area. Very helpful staff and comfortable rooms. It is also close to Sky train stations, Metroland Mall for shopping, and some very good restaurants. Easy access to downtown Vancouver and the Airport.

Stayed a couple of days at the Best Western in Burnaby on a leisure trip with my wife, after driving up from Seattle Was pleasntly surprised by the amenities, inclduing the better-than-expected hot breakfast, the free internet, plenty of parking, and the small workout room. Check-in at the front desk by Shiva was a breeze, and he went out of his way to give us an upgraded king-size bed instead of the original queen bed we had reserved, The hosts at the breakfast area were also very friendly, explaining the various dishes/options to the guests. Really good value for the money, and spacious room Would stay here again, even though the hotel has external corridors, which meant you could hear sirens and other noises, but not that bad. Area seems quite safe and 5 min drive to Metrotown.

The staff at this hotel were extremely kind to me and would do anything they could to assist me. They went above and beyond. The breakfast I enjoyed very much. A very lovely place to stay, transit very easy to get to and very close by to restaurants and convenience stores.

This was my first time time staying at this hotel. The room rate was $9 CAD less on Fri. and Sat. Good breakfast (scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, ham cold cuts, sausages or bacon, toasts, waffle, oatmeal, pastries, and coffee) from 6:30 - 10:00 am daily. lots of free parking, including two 220v electric car chargers. Spacious room with digital temp controls on wall. Large flat-screen TV with cable. Wi-fi is ~300 mb/s, but need to call front desk to remove restricted access to corporate VPN. Comfortable, firm bed, and chairs and table in room. Overall, good value for the price, and lots of restaurants around. Just 5 min drive (or 15 walk) from Metrotown.

Wherever I travel I always try to stay at a BW as they are always of great quality. This specific hotel is a good example. Check in was easy and quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the recommendation on dinner places. The room is good size, The bed is comfy, the room has the usual amenities. Breakfast is plenty and good and is served at the restaurant on site. Would definitely stay again.

Was a very nice place to stay we enjoyed the hot continental breakfast had many options to choose from two different meats everyday and eggs two ways! The room was an average motel room but worked for what we needed out of it! I know it is fall but I wish the pool was open we had some very nice weather and even being outside I would have enjoyed it! The chambermaids were always helpful we stayed four nights and didn't want our room cleaned every night but she made sure to check with me on weather we needed anything refilled she was amazing! The front desk staff were also very helpful and even signed us up for a points membership. The hotel is on the main roads but we never heard the traffic from our room at all! Will stay here again!

Value for a hotel of this caliber was terrific. Service was very friendly and quick with the room being spacious, clean and updated. Full kitchen with full size fridge, microwave as well as plates, cutlery, cups, mugs and a coffee maker. Would (and will be) staying there again!

When we think of Best Western with think of Standard Accommodations and expect your basic needs. However my daughter and her skating partner stayed at this location for a week and were treated like Royalty. The service provided by all staff here was exceptional. The kids had to leave for training daily at 5:30am well before breakfast served. When we asked the front desk if there was any way the kids could get some small to go items in the morning since they wouldn't be able to enjoy the breakfasts the staff sent ready to go continental breakfast items every night to ensure the kids had something before they left for training. The staff ensured they had a taxi available as soon as they went down to the lobby every morning. The cleaning staff were outstanding and provided any extras needed since kids tend to overuse products! Front desk was helpful in every way possible from ensuring the kids were well fed, transportation was ready and gave any information around the local surroundings. The kids felt spoiled and at home. We have the staff to thank for taking such good care of them! A few names to acknowledge are Kathy, Cherry,Yan and the housekeepers Kelly and Meredith. We couldn't remember them all but definitely more people to add! Thank you to everyone for your exceptional service. You lead by example and provide the true customer experience.

Stayed here for two nights for a business trip. The hotel was nicely redone it would seem somewhat recently. I did not have any issues with staff at check in or check out. Some noise could be heard between the units which I'm sure might get frustrating if it was busier. Food service was good as they have their own restaurant.

I have over the years booked many times with Best Western. I can depend on clean rooms and good service, always. I have often stayed if I have medical appointments and know that if I need help it is a quick call to the desk and they are there to help. I will never stay anywhere else if I have the choice of Best Western first

Poor Service. Location is not great. Too much noise both outside and upstairs. Small Room. Heater only on the bedroom. Blinds did not give any privacy from outside. So bright and so noisy. Reserve a room with kitchen more than a month ago, when check in been told that room is not available. Then after I told them I will cancel my stay, same room I booked became available. What a horrible lie at first to try us if we will allow them to just switch room. Room was not comfortable to sleep as well. Definitely not coming back with BW branch. Hoping not all BW is like this... Better stay at Hamptom Inn.

My party of four (2 couples) tried to stay at this hotel on the 26th September but when we arrived we were told the hotel was booked up. We did not have a reservation so we were about to continue our search when the lovely lady at reception told us that without a reservation we would not find accommodation that night. Rather than send us away she spent the next hour on the phone calling many hotels trying to find us accommodation. Thanks to Aruna she found us accommodation for that night plus the following night. None of us knew that Elton John was in town so the entire city was booked up. Without Aruna's help in finding us accommodation for the next 2 nights I don't know what we would have done. I have never encountered anyone so willing to help in any hotel. I would definitely go to this hotel and stay there as the staff go out of their way to help even for people who aren't staying there. Thank you so very much Aruna for your help. We would have been lost without you.

A very nice experience. The hotel looked brand new and they have done a nice renovation so everything is updated. Very comfortable bed!! Walking distance to various types of restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay.

I like the hotel because I could get a smoking room. This is the most key priority I have when I look for a hotel. All hotels shoud offer smoking rooms and stop disciminating against smoking customers.

I was trying a a director of corporate to secure a incidental payment over the phone with one of our employees who is attending a technical training course in Burnaby in the morning. The receptionist after our call had ended.. or at least they thought they had ended the call...” wait they never hung up the phone So all I heard was “ what does that idiot not Understand about our company policy regarding not taking credit card incidental payment over the phone.?? This is the conversation Wendy is having in depth with another co- worker and they both are laughing at our earlier phone conversation. You know what Wendy the jokes on you - Never berate a guest and always ensure your phone is hung up after you think the other party has ended the call .Folks this is great indication how they will Treat you here as a valued guest. We book many hotels in the Burnaby area for technical training with our employees at BCIT but never again at this hotel.

Rooms are dated, but very clean (thanks to the dedication of our room attendant Kelly). Breakfast was good, but repetitive menu. Nice to have laundry facilities on site. Some front desk staff were lacklustre. Bed was comfortable, but linens (and towels) should be replaced. Wall with window and door seemed to be very thin (could clearly hear all that was going on in the parking lot).

Hotel was nothing fancy but it was clean and comfortable. Great location. Two minutes to Metrotown (driving) and 10 minutes to New West Quay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. In my opinion this is actually a motel though - each suite's door opens to the exterior. We did not try the breakfast but the coffee was great.

The breakfast buffet, the restaurant staff, Cherry and all of them are really awesome. It is the best hotel ive ever been to. I would recommend this place to everyone out there. The restaurant staff had such happy smiling faces. ❤️

The check in service was amazing. I had not stayed at this Hotel for about 18 months, and the Lady at the front desk remembered me, and was very gracious in her greeting. Room was good. Breakfast was good. A bit more variety would be make it better.

We stayed 3 nights at Best Western on Kingsway on our recent vacation. Check-in was friendly and got us a nice room on the 2nd floor toward the back where it was quiet. The lobby appeared busy as they have tour groups in this hotel. The room we had was excellent, king bed, desk, flat screen TV, fridge, no microwave. However, we had some leftover food so I checked with the lobby front desk about a microwave and they brought one to our room within 5 minutes, very good! Breakfast was in the chinese restaurant attached to the hotel and was excellent, pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, muffins, yogurt, juice, fruit, coffee, plenty of food. The ladies who worked in the breakfast area always greeted everyone and kept the food stocked. The location is about 15-20 minutes drive to Vancouver, depends on traffic and where you are going. For the price this was an excellent hotel.

Last minute rip-off This room was posted st $260 but we were charged almost $275 by the time we rented it The room smelled like a stale old motel. They could freshen that easily The ladies at breakfast were the only redeeming quality. Cherry was a real treat.

I wish I could take this hotel and staff to every city I went to on vacation! This was a great place to stay from start to finish. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was great with lots of choices including bacon and eggs. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Wish there were more like them.

The staff is very friendly. The room is very clean and with updated furniture. The breakfast has a lot of options. Everything is fresh and delicious. I truly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

This hotel was a good price for its location in Burnaby . Other hotels around this area were quite pricey . Metrotown shopping mall was close by either by car or public transport . Royal Oak Skytrain is very close too , skytrain links all the major cities . Having 711 and Denny's a block away was a benefit too. Parking in the hotel was ample . Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable and daily complimentary breakfast was good too.

To avoid higher prices in downtown Vancouver, this is an alternative if willing to take a 22 min. Skytrain ride to downtown ($4.25 one way on weekdays, $3.50 on weekends). The trains come regularly. About 8 min. to walk from train to hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. The front desk staff were helpful and stored our baggage for us. Breakfast at the restaurant next door was good. There are waffle and pancake machines in addition to scrambled eggs, sausages, juice, coffee, etc.

Our room was on the street side of the building on a very busy street. Traffic all night was loud and disruptive, especially the noise from emergency vehicles. We could smell the fumes from other guests who were smoking outside of our room

We were there for a celebration of life which can be stressful. The staff were very helpful and professional. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We would happily book with them again under happier circumstances.

1) We happen to have a family reunion here, we needed extra things like cutlery, bottles of water and a microwave. These things where brought to us without any extra cost. 2) The breakfast was the best part, good variety and really delicious! Complimentary breakfast for every day of your stay. I highly recommend it. 3) Free parking and friendly staff. We even got one staff member (Cherry) that we met while having breakfast. She asked us about our stay and we told her that we were planning to go to the aquarium and suspension bridge, she in return happen to have coupons for this and gave us her coupons. We did not expect anything, but conversation with her was nothing short of delightful.

I arrived at the hotel without a reservation. The stall welcomed me and proceeded to do a check in. The check was very quick and smooth. The room was large and inviting. I immediately felt relaxed and comfortable.

Staff very attentive and courteous on check in. Switched rooms to a ground floor unit with no hassles or extra charges. Breakfast and snacks were good and very well set up. Pool looked nice, no trunks to enjoy but will know for next trip.

We loved our stay at Best Western Burnaby! We arrived at 1am and were greeted with Shivam. He is a kind, patient and well mannered gentleman. Someone you would want to meet after a very long flight. We especially enjoy the hot breakfast buffet on our 11 days of stay at this hotel. Yan is a very pleasant host and makes sure we are taken cared off. Service is excellent! The manager, Cherry, warmly greets us every chance she gets and makes us feel welcome. She always has mini chocolates for us in hand and gave us discount vouchers to the Aquarium and Capilano Suspension Bridge. The room, hallways, lobby, laundry room and breakfast hall are clean and well maintained. There are so many popular restaurants 5mins walk away. We enjoyed the 12min walk to Royal Oak train station while grabbing bubble teas on the way and the 20min skytrain ride to Downtown Vancouver. The best part is the way they all made us feel welcome and how happy we felt during our stay. If you are looking for a quality hotel that is affordable, this is the place to be!!! We definitely felt at home there. We would love to come back!

I stayed at this location as my family was also staying there. They are a pet friendly hotel and that was important to the others. I was very happy with the hotel but found it expensive. I paid one price for Wednesday evening, then a higher price for the last two nights I was there. The location was good for our purposes but if I was travelling by myself I would have looked for a place in a lower price range..

The hotel was comfortable and convenient and its location on Kingsway was close Metrotown and lots of retail shops and restaurants. Rooms quiet despite busy road. (A little dark because of the windows but otherwise good.) Breakfast was well stocked with lots of options. Good value for the price.

At first glance we had reservations about our selection for lodging. This was not a Courtyard by Ma*****. Check-in was smooth and friendly. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The staff was fantastic. We went to breakfast the first morning and was again surprised with the selection, quality and helpful staff. Thanks go out to Cherry. A convenient elevator helped us move our luggage up and down. The room was equipped with more than ample electronic connections. Also, they offer Seattle's Best coffee in every room. The Skytrain is about a 15 minute walk. A great way to get to Gas Town. Clean, fast and safe. The nearby White Spot Restaurant is a good walk to place to eat.

Despite being on Kingsway, our room was towards the back of the property and was quite quiet. Breakfast was convenient. Price is standard in the Lower Mainland in the summer - it is overpriced all over!

A great hotel. Great breakfast, has a gyn across the street that you can use. Rooms very clean. The only problem was the towels were very rough and uncomfortable. The staff was amazing. Cherry was a delight and very professional. Would definitely stay there again if go to Vancouver.

Stayed at this hotel for one night while attending a meeting in the Metrotown area. On the positive side the hotel is clean; although the building looked old, the rooms are surprisingly in great shape. The breakfast is good and the wifi service is one of the best I have experienced. The hotel layout is a typical motor inn, with rooms facing the parking lot, which makes the noise issue very difficult to control. Perhaps more noise isolation can make a difference, but it is not there yet, making noise-sensitive people not very happy. But my main complaint would be the rates. In the same area, there are three more modern hotels and some of their rates are even lower than the BW! I guess the public will pay whatever the market is capable of accept, and being this a popular area of town with very few options, going rates are similar. Giving the choice, I would not pay the going rate due to the hotel category.

Our family of four checked in for a three night stay during our week long trip through Alberta and British Columbia. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we had a parking spot right outside of our room. Breakfast each morning was very good and had everything to satisfy our needs. The breakfast staff was extremely kind and cheerful each morning which is not always common. One day during our stay it was quite rainy and we wanted to head into Granville Island, luckily the hotel offers umbrella rentals. Overall amazing experience and wonderful place to stay as its easy to get on the public transit to travel into the heart Vancouver from this hotel.

Staying for a week. Already had tremendous help by the staff in particular Cherry, who took her time in giving detailed explanations of the available tours in Vancouver. She was very friendly and kind, she gave her honest opinons of the tours and she even booked them for us ! We are very appreciative of her help.

I've needed to travel to the mainland monthly over the past year and I've stayed primarily at the Best Western Plus in Burnaby, as this hotel is well situated, with access to Metrotown mall close by and a rapid transit system that can quickly take you to where you want to go within the Greater Vancouver area. After returning to the hotel at the end of the day, a comfortable bed with plush pillows await to provide a sound night sleep.

Stayed here for one night while visiting the Capalino suspension bridge rooms were clean got a free parking pass and breakfast voucher. the staff was very friendly from the check in, cleaning and food service. Although with so many different people here some can be rude and pushy.. just take your time and enjoy the moment..

We needed a two night stay close to a few things we wanted to do while in Vancouver. This plus fit the bill on the maps. Wow! It was perfect. Close to great food as well and the breakfast worked perfect for the kid as well. She loved the pancakes! It's a clean and quiet hotel with a warm great pool. Yes kid loved that as well. Stay were all super friendly as well. I can't think of anything that this hotel didn't offer.

We had booked for 2 nights at this hotel before a Monday cruise departure. However one of the members of our party ended up in the ER the day of departure and we had to cancel that nights stay.The manager on call was very understanding of our situation and adjusted without much fuss. The next night when we arrived staff was very courteous and inquired how our family member was doing. They even had our room keys ready to go. We had booked 2 Queen suites - each with a queen bed and pull out sofa. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable including the pull out sofa bed. The shower was hot and powerful too. The suite was equipped with a cooking range and refrigerator with freezer which we did not use. The location of the hotel is in a nice and safe part of suburb. A few members of our group that had arrived the day before had even walked nearby to have dinner. Hot breakfast is available in the morning. Its scrumptious and excellent quality and has lot of options.

I stayed 6 nights and worked on my laptop in the room for 2 of those days. Internet speed was great - better than I have at home. Walked to Metropolis shopping center (easy walk), walked to Royal Oak Skytrain to get to office for a few days, and swam in pool. A fabulous location and really clean. Beds are very comfortable too. I'd certainly stay here again.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Beds were very comfortable, room was very clean. We required a microwave which our room didn't have. The front desk had one for us before we returned. The free breakfast was very good and added value to the room. Only complaint was bathroom was small and no countertop to place your clean clothes after your shower.

The room was large and included a kitchen which was a bonus. It was clean and tidy with everything you'll need. However it is dated and really needs an update but for the money it was fair. Parking is adequate and the breakfast was very good with a wide selection.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Burnaby and the room was open and very comfortable. I liked the location as it is right on Kingsway and close to numerous restaurants and differing dining choices.

This was a good stay at the Best Western Plus Burnaby. The room was clean with enough space, the beds were very comfortable and we couldn't hear any street noise in our room. Check in and out were flawless. The breakfast was very good as well. All of the staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. It is also in a good location for access to the rest of the city. One comment would be to add another waffle maker in the breakfast area as it is very popular and lots of line ups there.

This property and staff were excellent and the daily meeting with Cherry was top notch, the helpful hints working together with her in making this trip for players, coaches, managers and parents one to remember.

I have stayed at this hotel several times now and will continue to do so. It is so clean, so convenient to everything, the staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet is awesome, and it's just an overall great place to stay.

We stayed here to avoid the high prices in downtown Vancouver. We chose this place after reading other reviews and were not disappointed. It is an older hotel, smaller rooms and not all the outlets/usb but they make up for it with customer service and location. Breakfast was good. One morning we had an early tour and took advantage of their To-Go breakfast. What a wonderful surprise. It had: apple juice, hard cooked egg, yogurt, granola bar, muffin, croissant, an apple and a spoon in a nice packaged box. Staff were very helpful. This was our first visit and to the area and they helped with the sky train. Location is great. About a 15 minute walk to the train that takes you all the way to the waterfront with no changing. About a 20 minute ride and the train runs frequently. The only suggested we had for the hotel was a microwave in the room. They do have small frig and coffee maker in the rooms.

every one here is so helpful and over the top friendly. Its so quiet and the parking lot has a security guard walking to check on guests vehicles. we had such a peacful rest and on days that we don't want to drive the free parking makes it easy to walk 4 blocks to sky train and enjoy the day

For two years now we have used this hotel for our baseball team trips to the lower mainland and have not been disappointed. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is great, and the service is impeccable. We will definitely be returning. It is not a hotel- it was more like a motel. We were assigned to a room at the ground floor and it smelled sooo musty and awful. The carpets were old and dirty. The bathroom, however, is clean though.

the guest room is very clean and the things in the room seem good maintain and it all in good working condition. we get a good sleep here after a long drive. The breakfast is excellent. there is a lot of choice of food. the service is good.

This was a wonderful place to stay. I was taking my grandson on a 4 day get away to Vancouver. I was looking for a few must, this place had it all. Good price, pool, close to skytrain and completmentary breakfast. I had an early departure so they prebooked a cab for us and also had a boxed breakfast ready for us to take. Thank you. Good location and plenty of parking. Walking distance to the Skytrain. Close to Metrotown. Lots of food options nearby, but oddly no grocery stores. It's nice to see an old motel renovated, clean and so well maintained. Definitely an older property, but you can't argue with the convenience of parking outside your room. The room isn't large, but it isn't small either. Two beds, a dresser/fridge, work desk and a two chair dining set. The beds were comfortable. The sink is outside the bathroom, which was common for the era the property would have been built. The power bar behind the night stand was appreciated. Wifi worked well and you didn't have to constantly re-enter the password either. Surprisingly good TV channel selection. Wall safe was also laptop sized. The only problem we had was a defective coffee maker. The room was exceptionally clean. The entire property was also exceptionally clean. I never knew a motel could be so clean. Service was good and in line with expectations. Breakfast servers were excellent. The breakfast was surprisingly good. It's served buffet style the on-property chinese restaurant and is of a western style. The food quality is quite good. The scrambled eggs were exceptionally good. Wish there were more options for fruit.

This hotel is located walking distance to the Royal Oak public transit station and offers free parking to customers. This has worked really well for us on a short visit to Vancouver. In addition, rooms are recently renovated, well-appointed and offer good space. There is a very small outdoor pool the kids might enjoy. Breakfast is served in a place that is a Chinese restaurant at night. The breakfast is the standard fare of a hotel of this type - it was really fine one day and a bit crowded the next.

We stayed here on our way out to Vancouver Island. It looks like the hotel had been renovated recently. We arrived with our 2 dogs. It was great to have a room on the ground level that had a door directly outside - made it easy to take the dogs out. Breakfast was included, there were many options, including gluten free ones. Would definitely stay here again. The room was clean, the beds were ok.

The included Breakfast service was exceptional and Host/staff were very welcoming! Location was not the best for us but glad we chose it because of the competitive price and great service. Close to major shopping mall (Metrotown) and restaurants which are walkable. Will definitely return for our annual summer visit if prices remain reasonable next year!

Booked this hotel online we are from Reno, Nevada. Room was much larger than expected, very clean. Front desk was helpful and answered our questions. You receive a meal ticket per person per day and it's located right outside of the lobby and the breakfast they offered was also much better than expected. Fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, yogurt, fruit, coffee. Lots of available seating. We were pleasantly surprised and happy with our stay. Wanna give a shoutout to Cherry, she works there and is the sweetest thing. Making sure we are happy and taken care of. Thanks Cherry!

The hotel has been upgraded recently - the lobby is nicely done up and the rooms have received a face-lift. The location was perfect for me, had meetings in Burnaby, but it is close to everything including a massive mall (Metrotown) with all of the shopping one could desire, nice restaurants and a easily located (and used) skytrain station to take you right downtown.

A nice motel. The doors opening to the outside makes you hear people talking or walking outside your room. But overall it is very clean. The breakfast was awesome and stuff was very helpful. The housekeeping service was the best we ever had.

We stayed there last week for one night and had a great room and super staff. The room was very clean and a comfortable King bed. The breakfast had great choices and was very good. The hotel is three blocks from the Skytrain stop which is a bonus.

dry cleaning was late and they had to mail my clothes back to me in the US. Staff didn't understand why this was a problem. If I could rate them a 0 I would. If you're going to Vancouver, spend the extra few dollars for a nice hotel instead of this one like I did

The price was not cheap but compared to prices in Vancouver, this is not too bad. The front disk was very pleasant and really helpful. Rooms are nice and bed very comfortable. Breakfast is not bad. The best thing is you can take one train from the nearby Royal Oak station and you will be at the Waterfront in 20 min.

Had a comfortable stay here. It was close to our conference location, as well as the mall! Staff very very friendly. Room was clean. Access to gym across the street. Complimentary breakfast. We had a room with a connector to another room. Sound barrier wasn't great.

It was dark when we arrived but I didn't have trouble getting to the hotel from the highway. Great hotel, our room was clean and well stocked and the hotel grounds were clean and nice as well. Close to transit, and sky train. Metrotown mall is one stop away, restaurants and shops are easily reached from the hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I'll definitely stay here again :)

Traveled here for business for a one nighter. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The bed was comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. The breakfast is quite good. Selections are less than I have seen in other hotels; however, this is NOT the "carb buffet"! They had scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, and sausage patties (not the dried up nasty ones - these were juicy and tasted great!). There is more than enough to get you going for the day from the included breakfast. From my inspection of the breakfast area, they pay close attention to detail regarding Food Safe practices! Monitored thermometer in the fridge, creamers available - but in the fridge, properly covered and heated food. Very well done! The pool was a disappointment in this property. It is an outdoor pool. While it was open, it is still very cool at this time of year. And, there is NO hot tub. In my opinion, and based on my experience, hotel pools in this area should all be indoors to allow guests to actually be able to use and enjoy them all year round - not just July and August. If I had to guess, I would say this used to be a "Motor Hotel" that was taken over by Best Western as all access is from the outside. You have to walk outside between buildings, to the pool, and to breakfast. There is NO elevator, so second floor is stairs only. There are rooms on the ground floor for handicapped access. I was lucky on my one night, because there was an adjoining room door and through it (even though closed) you could hear EVERYTHING in the next room. Had my neighbors been noisy, or had they decided to stay up late, then I would not have been able to sleep. The wifi at this hotel completely rocked - solid reception and speed. Located close enough to Metrotown Mall for easy access, but far enough away from it to avoid headaches.

I stayed here while on a work trip in early April. It is located on Kingsway Rd and so it is close to many amenities and restaurants. It was renovated in recent years, and it looks nicer than it did before. They have complimentary breakfast and wifi, which is great. The staff is very friendly! The only downside is that it's a motel, so I didn't feel very safe, especially because my room was at street-level. There was much noise outside at night, so I had to use earplugs to go to sleep. The bathroom was also very small, but not a huge inconvenience.

This was my 2nd stay at the Best Western Burnaby. It is an older hotel but the rooms were clean and comfortable. My destination was Vancouver but this hotel is centrally located with free parking and free breakfast. The staff are awesome. I was a Platinum Member but downgraded this year due to my travel being curtailed. I was still treated as a Platinum Member and I found that to be refreshing. The breakfast staff were more than helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The service has been consistent both stays and that is why I will always book this hotel when my travels take me to the Vancouver area.

The staff went over and beyond for our group that was there. We were there for our kids hockey tournament and they did what ever they could so the parents could all socialize together with out bothering other rooms. They made sure we were all together. There kitchenette rooms were fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to anyone

This is just my second stay with the Best Western chain with top elite status. It was just a brief overnight stay but overall it was a disappointing stay. Even with the top elite status, the room upgrade was very minor, from a queen bed to king bed basic room when there were variety of other better types of rooms available. It didn't matter to me anyways for such a short stay but reflects on their elite program worthiness. I arrived very late, maybe around 10:30pm. Unfortunately there was also a large group checking in at that time so I had to wait quite a bit. When checking in I already requested for late check-out at 1pm, but was still called at 11:30am the next day asking me about checking out. It may be a minor problem but the whole point of me asking for late check-out is to sleep in, so being awakened by an unnecessary phone call was very frustrating. The room itself was decent. Spacious enough. The hotel is motel-style so you have to walk outdoors to get to your room. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent. The on-site Chinese restaurant seems popular but I didn't get a chance to try. I also have top elite status with 3 other major chains. The price here wasn't necessarily much cheaper than the other options, but can be significantly cheaper during high seasons.

We had a very great stay here.We had our family of 4 and we felt it was a perfect place for us to stay so the location worked for us...My husband also needed a microwave and they brought us one in less than 10 mins.Clean,organized and friendly.Love the ladies at the morning breakfast too!

Friendly efficient staff willing to help in any way including printing our boarding passes and getting a cab for our ride back to the airport. Great hot breakfast including eggs, 2 meat choices, breads, waffles and pancakes plus healthier choices too. Was not aware until we arrived that all the rooms have outside entrances, but the area seemed very safe and relatively quiet. On late arrivals, they have a security person who will escort you to your room and help with luggage. Very nice.

We stayed one night on the 4th floor in the back of the building. It seems to be an old motel that's been renovated, but not super successfully. Our room with one queen bed was quite small, but clean. All was well until the people next to us came in at midnight. They were just chatting at a normal level and playing music off their cell phone, but it was like they were in the room with us. It wasn't their fault, an old building with paper thin walls where we could hear everything. I could even hear when he put his keys on the table and went to wash his hands. To credit BW, I called them and they sent security with keys for us to go sleep in a room with no neighbours on either side. Very good customer service and we appreciated that. The room we slept in, however, wasn't that clean. There was hair on the bathroom floor and pink shampoo very visibly on the shower wall. The next morning though, we got a good look at who was staying in the hotel and there were some sketchy characters. The breakfast was really good, with lots of options. Love the waffle machine, but sadly the pancake machine was out of batter. When we checked out, the girl at the counter didn't ask us how our stay was, or apologize or seem to care at all. That was disappointing. I wouldn't stay here again, because what's the point of staying in a hotel if you can't sleep at night?

Although the staff was professional, courteous and discrete, This hotel is somewhat isolated and someone staying there without their own transportation might be frustrated. We missed the 24-hour access to complimentary juices, fruit, cookies, snacks, coffee and tea that the Surrey Best Western has, as well as the pool and fitness room there. The rooms were less well soundproofed and our second and third nights came with noisy neighbors; not their fault. They do offer the complimentary hot breakfast, nearly identical in content to the Surrey branch, but they were sure watching the clock and were obviously anxious to clear the breakfast up and head off to other duties. The breakfast area is located in a corner of a stand-alone Asian restaurant (which was tasty enough for one of our six meals); perhaps that has something to do with it. Oh but down the street is a good neighborhood pub, called the Bear something, (also the nearest liquor store), which has FANTASTIC bar food and entertainment features nightly (live music, karaoke, trivia contest). Walkable if you're not under two feet of snow. Which we were. Anyway, the hotel was average and acceptable....but we were treated SO well at Best Western Surrey that we'll rebook there and tolerate the extra driving time.

Staff were friendly and amenities were good but I could hear every conversation and noise in the rooms beside and above me plus all the adjacent road noise. Not what I expected for the cost and would not stay here again for this reason.

From the moment we checked in the service was great. The employee found out my daughter was playing hockey and decided to change our room to a ground floor room so it would easier for her to carry in her bag. The room, breakfast and grounds were all great. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Best Western in Burnaby for 3 nights in February on a business trip. The check in was simple and the staff were very pleasant. The room was nice, and clean. The only negative is that the hotel was more like a motel - your door led to the outside, not to a hallway. That is just a personal preference. The hotel serves breakfast every morning and although I was not able to use this service, my colleagues said it was good. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in this area. It is good value for the money.

In a word, Excellent, service from all personnel was excellent. Check-in and check-out was seamless. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The room was clean and neat, did not experience any noise etc.The services we used were excellent,(internet ad the breakfast facility).

We looked at hotels in the centre of town but they were, unsurprisingly, expensive. This one was reasonably priced, easy to get to from airport, close to rail links into town. There's nothing outstanding about the hotel - basically it does what it says on the tin. Rooms are clean and big enough. Nice shower. No double glazing and walls are a bit thin - but no worse than most hotels. Breakfast is in a restaurant across from the reception which doubles up as a Chinese restaurant in the evenings (very authentic!). Breakfast good - usual sort of choices but not much gluten free (although I didn't specify so that may be why). Hotel is about 10 mins walk from the train line which goes straight into town - easy to find and use. All in all I would stay here again if we came back.

Me and my husband visited Vancouver for the first time, and stayed to this hotel, for a total of 9days, about 30mins to downtown, we always had a restful nite , our room was at the back side of the hotel, always clean, linens are fresh, excellent free hot breakfast. Beverly, their supervisor was accommodating and friendly, Denish, the receptionist was super helpful, gave us tips how to use the bus and train to downtown (??we didn't want to take a risk with our rental car going to downtown!)We highly recommended this hotel. Very good location to nearby parks, restaurants, and a big mall.????

Very close to Metrotown Mall on Kingsway. Clean and desirable area. Good staff, breakfast and clean rooms. Laundry facility on-site and small outdoor pool. Grounds nicely maintained. This is a motel. I would stay here again.

we were spread all over the hotel and the group rate we were told we'd get didnt happen. I'm disappointed that the hotel staff and booking people didnt make this experience better. We had given them ample notice

We have stayed this hotel many times and always have a great and comfortable stay with no problems and staff go out of their way to make you comfortable. Would recommend this for location and convenience to the surrounding area of shopping and amenities.

Not impressed with the price paid considering the condition of the room, very old, antiquated. It was in a good location and the outside has been modernized, paying half the price would have been fair.

I was pleasantly surprised by this well-kept property. I stayed here for 7 days on business and it was obvious that the owners and staff cared about the esthetics and practicality of their hotel. The flower beds are well maintained and the exterior hotel paint had a fresh coat. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety which included hot and cold choices. Ask for a coffee cup to go on your way out! The gym looked untouched. They have an Inspire m5 universal gym and free weights. There are also a couple treadmills, a spin bike (no clips) and an elliptical. All new! You also have access to the Steve Nash gym across the street and the Goodlife is not far up the street. My room was standard with a king bed but clean and comfortable. The TV surfing was great which includes on demand TV and movies. I had a mini fridge but no microwave.

I was here for an one night stay, for a patient forum education day. The set up is like a rental place, as the room has two queen size beds, a table, a desk, fridge, and TV. This place offers laundry (coin operated washer & dryer) along with a pop/snack & ice machine. Breakfast is included which is always nice, but they could use a bit more hot items. The staff here were friendly. I have to say that for me it is strange to have a room facing the parking lot and that you have to walk outside to get to the lobby, the ice machine and to the restaurant for your breakfast. It was raining during my stay, so I was not a happy camper.

If you're looking for a clean, affordable place to stay without all the bells and whistles, this is your place. Nothing stands out about it except its close proximity to the mall. I have no complaints about the room or the hotel staff itself. The complimentary breakfast was okay but there was something going on with the coffee. It was so bitter it was undrinkable and I am not that picky with coffee. I also think the hotel needs to hire a couple more people to help out for breakfast because there were only two women working the whole place and they seemed overwhelmed. My only other complaint is that I wish the dining room had a lot of small tables rather than a few very large tables. Or if you're going to do that, let us take our food back to the room. If you weren't fortunate to travel with a large group you were forced to have to sit with strangers (an introvert's nightmare). At least with a lot of little tables you an push all the tables together if a large group comes in. But maybe that's just me. However, it is a free breakfast and you get what you pay for I guess.

When we checked in the lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful, and the breakfast attendants were great as well (though they could benefit from more hot food selections). We stayed for two nights, and on our last night I noticed a huge spider on our bed. Didn't think much of it as were on the ground floor. However, before checking out I noticed under the AC unit there was at least 3 spiders who had created a giant web and were hanging out in our room. It was obvious that cleanliness was limited to towels and sheets, not ensuring that the floors were clean and room free of creepy intruders.

My family and I reserved two hotel rooms three weeks prior to our arrival. When the two rooms were booked, they had led me to believe one of the two rooms would have a kitchen. Upon arrival and check in the refused to provide a room with a kitchen, instead giving us two rooms with two queen size beds. when i asked to speak to a manager a chinese women who so calls her self to be a customer service manager was of no help and when I asked to speak to the general manager, she bounced me around to other employees and finally ended up rolling her eyes. When I finally met with Sharon Tsang the general manager she again was very cocky and was of no help and offer no support to my family which consisted of three elderly seniors. The bed sheets were not changed on a daily basis and the rooms had a strong odour. When I asked the hotel staff about the odour, they offered me candles and febreeze to get rid of the odours. The overall experience has not been the greatest.

This was a great hotel. We stayed for a week. The continental breakfast was great. The pool is heated, which was lovely. Everything in the room was as expected. Since we were there the week we put the do not disturb sign out several days to conserve towel usage.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Burnaby BC for a family trip to visit the PNE and waterslides. Our stay was very pleasant except for one exception- the air conditioner made a terrible amount of noise and was impossible to have on during the night. I uploaded a video of the noise to share in my review but it is not allowed to be shared here unfortunately. Just know - it was very loud. Can you imagine trying to sleep through that? It was hot so we had to get up and turn it on once in a while but we couldn't keep it on long because of the noise. It made for an interrupted sleep which wasn't pleasant when we were so busy and needed rest. I mentioned it upon checkout but the woman who helped me kind of shrugged and didn't care. Aside from the air conditioner though the stay was pleasant, the staff upon check in were helpful and nice. The pool was great for the kids! They liked having a swim after a hot day at the PNE. The continental breakfast is very good, and definitely makes this hotel have extra points compared to a hotel without this addition as it is a full hot breakfast. Overall it gets a 3 because of the poor sleep my family got in the room, but if that air conditioner hadn't ruined our sleep I would have given it a 5.

Excellent hotel and staff. we were given great directions to travel with personal car or by public transit.Very friendly and helpful staff, and great value for the money for a hotel in Vancouver, Brithish Columbia.

My family stayed at this hotel on August 2. We were awaken by sirens and an explosion around 3am. The vacant building next to the hotel was on fire and we had to evacuate our room due to the close proximity of the fire. We stood outside away from the hotel until the fire was extinguished, about 6am. I have to commend the hotel for trying to make the best of a bad situation. They passed out blankets and snacks while we waited. For those of us who could not return to our rooms at 6am (rooms close to the fire), they quickly found us another room at a different hotel in Burnaby. We were not charged and they left vouchers for us to use for breakfast at a restaurant by the new hotel. The man at the front desk (Manager?) calmly and efficiently took care of guests' needs. It was an unfortunate situation but kudos to the BW employees for trying to take care of their guests in a stressful situation. My only concern is we did not hear a fire alarm (?) but police did alert everyone. Maybe we just didn't hear it in all of the commotion. As far as the room goes, it was clean and comfortable.

Excellent service from the staff. Our room was large and immaculate. Great pool. Close to restaurants and other conveniences. The breakfast that was included was amazing and the staff there was also very efficient and helpful.

We brought our dog with us, which means we got placed on the noisy ground floor in a "pet friendly" unit. It was quite a high people-traffic area though, and it sounded like everyone was in our unit with us. Of course our dog barks at every noise he hears, so it's no the best solution for pet owners. I would prefer to be in a higher unit away from the noise so we don't end up getting scolded for him being the noisy one. There's also not very many grassy areas for the dogs to go to the bathroom. They did give us a bag full of milk bones and waste sacs though, which was nice. The room temperature was as good, but when we went to bed we found the a/c blew directly towards us making it too cold to be comfortable but you would be too hot without it. The hotel is very conveniently located close to Metropolis at Metrotown, and it has a lovely outdoor pool. The breakfast was great and had many hot and cold options.

It's baffling to me why this hotel is rated so high. While a bargain compared to staying in downtown Vancouver (which is how we ended up staying here) it's cut rate. AC, which i am sure most times of the year doesn't matter, is awful. Comes on when it wants, thermostat means nothing. Called front desk, said they would send someone, waited an hour and a half, gave up and proceeded with our plans. Reset it ourselves worked just barely enough to get by during this heatwave. Horrible breakfast. Inside next door restaurant. Basic fare, awful coffee. Room size good, seems clean. But there has to be better options. Management doesn't care about concerns. Find another option.

We have been staying at this hotel for more than a decade. It's like home. We are always delighted to see Dinesh again. He is unfailingly congenial and helpful. All the staff are most accommodating. We weren't sure how to operate the TV, but help was at he door immediately. (We're non-tech--the TV was perfectly fine.) As always, our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast buffet couldn't have been more varied. Hot and cold choices available. The efficient crew are constantly cleaning and replenishing. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and are looking forward to stopping in again in two weeks.

The room has a great space. Bathroom is spacious,too. The only problem for me was the carpet that ruined my allergy. Don't expect a fantastic breakfast. It's served at a place right after the lobby that works as a Chinese restaurant at night. Location is something very positive. You can go to the mall on foot.

We stayed here one night and had a very good experience. The front desk staff was friendly, the room was spacious, and the King-sized bed enormous and very comfortable. Four stars instead of five because the fridge in our room made a very loud sounds every time the compressor kicked on or off. It startled me awake a several times during the night. The exercise room in the next building over was your average tiny space, but I was happy to find free weights, a few pieces of well-maintained equipment, and good a/c. The breakfast was fine. Good coffee.

My fiancé and I had a lovely time staying here! They provided a hot breakfast and you could make your own waffles with their waffle maker, they also had a pancake maker as well if you wanted to have that instead. We stayed in a corner room that had a full kitchen and we were glad we did because it gave us access to a kettle for tea and a fridge to put our food in.

After a long day it was nice to arrive to the hotel knowing that my room was gonna be clean and quiet. I liked that it was close to a supermarket in case I needed something and also the restaurant in the hotel. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and I will use this location for my next trip to Vancouver .

We often stay in Best Western properties, but sometimes they can be hit and miss in terms of how well kept they are, but we were pleasantly surprised by this location! It was obvious the moment we arrived in the lobby that renovations have recently been completed. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Location was convenient and it didn't take us long to get in to the city for touring around. The rooms were very clean, modern and nicely outfitted with comfortable beds (considering I have back issues). We also liked having our own exterior door in to the parking lot. The kids loved the outdoor pool and the hot breakfast that was included in the attached Chinese restaurant was a nice bonus! We would definitely consider staying here again for a trip down to the coast.

The value for a nights stay is excellent for Vancouver. The beds are very comfortable and I say that for a person who has had 3 back surgeries and need a good bed to sleep in. They have some of the best pillows of any hotel I've stayed in. I find the rooms very clean. The breakfast is comparable to those at any hotel. The staff is right on the money. We have stayed at the best western in North van and found it very nice as well and the one in Kelowna as well going on 13 yrs. If we can we ALWAYS stay at them because of the above reasons. And this one has been totally updated since our stay last year and it looks wonderful! Thank you to all who keep these hotels running as well as you do!

Stayed one night while waiting for a room elsewhere. The bed was uncomfortable and only a standard double bed. Cleanliness in the room was ok but the breakfast restaurant was poor. The floor was sticky underfoot and not a good feel first thing in the morning. Food was average only. Won't be going back.

We had despaired of finding somewhere reasonable in Vancouver for 4 nights until a friend recommended this place in Burnaby. The rate was much less than other similar hotels in the area. I was a little concerned about the area but should not have been. People were walking around the area until late at night with no issues and the hotel is only 4 blocks from Metrotown and the Royal Oak Skytrain. Our room was not that big but it was clean and quite modern. We had a small fridge and a coffee maker and free Wifi. Check-in was reasonable but quite complicated compared to other hotels. The front desk staff would not let my wife check-in for us even though we shared the same credit card that had made the booking. Not sure what the issue was since I was just outside the front glass door looking after the kids. We were at the back of the hotel so it was quiet. Breakfast was quite good but the hot breakfast was cold on one day and on another there was no coffee. The place was busy but there must have been 6 staff working so not sure why things were allowed to get cold or be in short supply. There is plenty of parking and the kids really enjoyed splashing about in the pool.

My family and I spent 2 nights at Best Western Plus Burnaby, Canada. Our stayed there was very comfortable. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, good internet access for all of our devices. The breakfast options were good and the hotel staff was friendly.

Older Hotel but clean and very nice staff! Typical Best Western breakfast. Location is very good along Kingsway and an easy commute to Vancouver. Be aware it's only 14 kms but the traffic lights make it a 40 minute drive!

This Best Western has almost finished its renovations to the rooms and property. I was very impressed with the new interior. My room was towards the back of the lot, so I did not hear much of the traffic on Kingsway. The breakfast was a little confusing, some items were not refilled fast enough, but I believe this to be starting-up problems, trying to get the kinks out of the service. I asked for something and it was brought to me in minutes, So keep up the improvements.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, we found it to be quite at night which was very nice, the bed was very comfy as well, when next in Burnaby we will be staying here again, the staff were very helpful as well.

Since I had many bad experiences with hotels, this industry kinda lost me as we now have other b&b options, but I gave a chance to this hotel as Vancouver area is generally overpriced and this one had decent offers. We had a nice spacious studio, free parking for our rental car, good Wifi, correct breakfast, easy access to nearby Skytrain to avoid traffic or parking fees downtown, and some restaurants around. For me better than paying twice the price downtown when you want to visit other nice locations around the city.

Recently renovated with a great breakfast, nice pool, great breakfast smoking rooms if you wish, very helping staff and rooms with more privacy in the back. The breakfast place is a nice chinese restaurant at night. 10 min walk from Skytrain. Close to lots of restaurants and grocery

How can you call a place a Best Western Plus Hotel and Conference Centre when their is no plus, it is a motel, not a hotel, and there is no conference centre? We arrived for a two-night booking in a queen room after a long travel day only to find it small, musty, and noisy with a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The carpet needs a good cleaning, the sheets are thin and dingy, the room is dark and uninviting, and the neighborhood is run down. The only positives were the free parking and the hot breakfast. We booked out after one night - the front desk were very apologetic although very slow to complete the checkout process.

Stayed just one night while attending a function at Metrotown Burnaby and a few visits in the area. Very comfortable room and quiet, even though we were close to the main road. Excellent breakfast - pleasant and cheerful staff at reception and in the breakfast room. They recommended Bonny's taxis but Bonny's kept us waiting nearly an hour after assuring us of 10-15 mins wait. Certainly not the hotel's fault but it was their recommendation.

Stayed last 3 nights of our vacation here and found the staff and amenities to be of a high standard. Our room was quiet and the bed comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. The grounds are well kept as was the rest of the hotel. Unlike other hotels this one allowed us to pay up front and put a small authorisation on our card for incidentals which was much appreciated. Would stay again if in the area.

I stayed in 315 and had a quiet room at the back of the building. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable as well. Check in was quick and easy and the internet was fast and reliable. Totally worth the stay. My only complaint was that it smelt stale when I walked into the room and you could see outside from the bottom of the door.

Recently renovated clean rooms. Great included breakfast. Scrambled eggs were hot, quality breads for toast and pastries. Usual choices for food and fresh fruit. Enjoyed traveling away from the rush hour traffic to and from the ferry and a quick getaway in the am to the Fraser Valley and back to the Interior of BC. Good value overall.

Staff was very friendly and professional, room and beds vey clean. Easy to enjoy ourselves, no problems! Good location, good options for the included breakfast. Quick service on all accounts. Would stay again for sure!

The BW Plus Burnable Hotel and Conference Centre provides comfortable rooms, updated decor and in room fridge. With free parking and Internet and breakfast included, it offers excellent value for the metro Vancouver area.

Really enjoyed staying at this Hotel. Staff very helpful with my Wifi and very knowledgeable re:local transportation and directions to Sky-Train for example. Amazing because it has a Gym, a Computer Room and Laundry. Outdoor Swimming Pool. Rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was included.

Pleasant stay. Room was clean and the location was very good. The breakfast was a buffet with scrambled eggs and one morning there was bacon. Not crazy about the sausages, but the rest of the buffet was good. Sure wish they didn't serve frozen butter.

We've stayed at this location over the past 8 years and have always been happy with the service. The renovations are great, with a much larger lobby and updated rooms. We always enjoy the hot breakfast.

Although they did extensive renos to this hotel awhile ago, the "old bones" of the building are still apparent in the paper thin walls, musty smell and room "fixtures." The room features a fridge, but we had to unplug it in order to sleep. However, the beds were very comfortable. Great hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffles, etc.) and friendly staff.

I recently stayed here and found the following: The good: - It's a good location - Safeway is right there, walking distance to the mall / bus terminal - The service was good. They were helpful with everything I asked - Breakfast was included - Hotel wifi was sufficiently fast - They give you sufficient coffee in your room. If you're from out of town and on a different time zone this is actually quite nice. The ok: - Don't expect the lights to go on quickly. My room's light was really anemic. It will eventually get brighter. Doesn't leave a good first impression but it's fine The bad: - The walls are really thin. I could forever hear cars / people outside my room until I put earplugs in - The room I was in looked very very aged. I'm not one who typically cares but it's very dark.

Front Desk personnel very helpful, friendly and caring. Room was exceptionally clean and inviting and window looked out onto courtyard. Bed was very comfortable, which was appreciated after a long day's drive through snowy weather on Hwy.1. Breakfast buffet adjacent to restaurant was varied and filling. On checkout, without our requesting, front desk personnel looked up location we were looking for and printed out map and gave us the quickest directions. We were quite surprised at quietness of room and ease of access considering hotel is located on busy Kingsway. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others.

This hotel is close to BCIT and the Trans Canada. The room was clean and the free breakfast at the restaurant was great. Parking is ok for cars and pickups but there is no room if you are towing a trailer.

Nicely located on Kingsway close to Metrotown Center, Skytrain is walking distance for downtown events, New Westminster Close by too! Newly renovated with a nice pool area for the summer, nice clean breakfast room, modern lobby, clean comfortable spacious rooms.

The team at BW Plus Burnaby was extremely helpful - from reception, to housekeeping, & the restaurant. All went out of their way to help us, chat with us, etc. Washers and dryers were all working. Perfect for an extended family break. Definitely coming back!

rooms are average but is in a great location and offered good hot breakfast. everything is within walking distance metrotown mall within 1km, and you can use the gym for free right across the street. multiple restaurants open 24 hrs within walking distance.

We stayed at the BW Burnaby Hotel on our trip to Vancouver, BC. The hotel is older but well kept, the room was clean and all amenity's worked as they should. The internet seemed to work well and the hot breakfast was quite acceptable. I would not hesitate to stay at the BW Burnaby again.

We needed a nice, quiet place to stay on Boxing Day and this totally fit the bill. We used hotels.com to make the registration, and were pleasantly surprised by friendly and helpful staff. The front desk person, Aruna, was helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable and clean. Good coffee in the room, too. We were surprised by the hot breakfast - a lot of items to choose from, and the attendants were constantly refilling any empty dishes with fresh food. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Close to a mall and downtown Vancouver. In addition to the location, I like the cleanliness and the quiet atmosphere even though the hotel is located on a busy street. Furthermore, the staff is courteous and friendly.

This is my favorite hotel for business trips to the area. Very welcoming and efficient staff, great beds, warm breakfast, excellent location and proximity to shopping and restaurants. Very good value. Highly recommend it.

The Hotel Staff were very helpful. Our reservation had somehow disappeared, however the Staff were able to accomadate us with our needs. The room was decent, it could use a few upgrades but all in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place or to stay here again should the need arise. The complimentary breakfast was very good with plenty of options for every taste. The only thing I would suggest is to bring a hair dryer if you use one as the one in the room had the shortest cord I have ever seen and in fact I had to stand very close to the outlet in order to dry my hair.

Stayed for 2nights for my appointment in downtown Vancouver. This hotel has a good location for everything you needed - walking distance to the city train, to restaurants and groceries. The room is just right for basic needs. Not too fancy but just right in accordance to its price. The people who are serving breakfast are so friendly that will make your day start right.

While staying in this hotel during a time of bereavement in my family, I was in bed at night and experienced a nose bleed. I quickly rinsed the pillow case and sheet in cold water and I applied a bit of soap. I left the linen in the bath tub and phoned the front desk for a fresh bed sheet and pillow, which were promptly brought to my room. Kind, helpful staff. I recommend Best Western.

A very pleasurable stay. Quiet, close to transit, shopping plazas, larger malls. Very courteous and efficient staff at the front desk and in the breakfast facilities. Very nice breakfast served, good choice of food and plentiful, courteous servers. Speedy checkout. Would recommend this hotel highly for anyone visiting Vancouver over the long and short term. It was refreshing to be treating so well throughout our stay. Many thanks to all the staff.

Our overall experience at this hotel was a pleasure. We enjoyed our time here and the breakfast was good. The location is close to everywhere in Vancouver. Only a 30 minute drive to downtown and Cypress Mountain. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in town.

The rooms were a good size and I loved that breakfast was included. There was a good selection however, it was the same every day. The décor was a little outdated but what I liked best was that it was in close proximity of the MetroTown Mall, the Skytrain and on a major roadway for catching the transit

Staying at Best Western Plus Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre for two nights in September this year. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom could be more modern. Breakfast was good. The personnel was friendly and service-orientated.

Very comfortable stay with reasonable charges. Clean The staff are helpful. Better stay than much more rated class 5 hotels. I will be staying there any time I am visiting Vancouver. The overall renovation brought this hotel to better than class 5 hotel. I tried the single rooms and suites. The value of both is reasonable. You park the car within reach in all spotless environment.

Nice clean room which has the very basics in there! Seemed quite old fashioned and needs a bit of a refresh, however as mentioned it was nice and clean and it was only a stop over on a road trip! No lifts so if your room is upstairs, be prepared to carry your heavy suitcase if you have one up a flight of stairs!

Spent the night here on a short business trip. The room was clean and quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed having a no-frills room to myself. The Chinese restaurant in the building is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Only word of warning: The hotel is right next to Kingsway Blvd, a very busy main road, and there is a lot of road noise there. Get a room toward the back of the hotel if you can - my room was quiet, but I imagine rooms toward the front may be pretty noisy.

Staff , front desk and chamber maids friendly and helpful. Pool area clean and well stocked with towels. Rooms were a little small, but clean and comfortable. They had a good selection of hot foods at the breakfast table. When we stayed there they had use of the Chinese restaurant next door, I understand they have since opened the breakfast in the front lobby area: stayed here for a week in August for a wedding, close to lots of restaurants and walking distance to Metro Town the largest shopping centre in Vancouver.

The front desk service was excellent, helpful and friendly. The rooms are your stand rooms, nothing different then any other Best Western. The TVs are modern and clear, the bathrooms had lots of towels, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion provided which I loved! The layout of the hotel is a bit funky, not really well thought out. There are no interior hallways, and you have to walk around the building to get to the lobby, the restaurant, which when it is pouring out, which it was, was not ideal. The hotel had lots of parking and the parking lot was easy to maneuver, and seeing as I have a big black dodge it made life easier. I would stay there again.

Location was convenient, located around services (for example, restaurants, groceries, shopping centers) friendly services, breakfast was very good with professional staff. I will come back for the professional service at breakfast!

Good rooms, clean and well kept property. Good laundry amenities for use, breakfast was good but basic. Located in walking distance to the largest mall I believe in Canada so plenty of options to cover all shopping needs there.

Stayed 3 nights at this location to visit family in the area. Nicely renovated hotel. Requested a quiet location which we got next to the pool. There are lots of restaurants close by, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Sushi, KFC, White Spot, and a Safeway and it's about a 10 minute walk to Metrotown shopping mall. The free breakfast is served in the attached restaurant by friendly staff and the selection you expect from Best Western. Everything about our stay was as expected and we would stay again when in the area.

Despite the fact that it surrounded by a supermarket (safeway) and other things that made me thought that the place might be in the low range of hotel....it is NOT.... the hotel seems to have been remodeled recently and that's great, friendly staff, and rooms were clean everything was perfect, I was on a business trip and I had enough room to work.

This is a nicely furnished and maintained property. Our requests for aground floor, pet friendly room were happily granted. Rooms have kitchenette. We even received treats for our pet, and a nice poop bag holder. Breakfast as varied and delicious. Kingsway is a bit noisy if the room is close to the street. Not much to do or see in the area, so a car is a must. Pretty far from downtown Vancouver, but city transportation runs in front of the hotel. We will stay here again!

I was very pleased with the Best Western Plus Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre. The location provided easy access to the Vancouver area. We stayed here for two nights. It is a few blocks away from a Sky Train stop. There are grocery stores nearby. We had a car so we could drive to downtown Vancouver and the sites there. The pool was closed because it is outdoor. Breakfast is in a chinese restaurant next door.

I go out of my way to stay at best western when travelling as I always know what to expect from them. This trip was no exception. I was especially please with the beds. The mattress was comfortable and the pillows and duvet were cool and very soft.

During my stay this time there was an untargeted (random) stabbing at the Oyama Sushi Restaurant on Kingsway a block away from this hotel. I usually walk all the time by myself in this area when I am frequently staying at this hotel for business. I have become not-so-comfortable walking by myself in the area now and likely won't.

I have been staying at this hotel once a week for about 5 years while on regular business trips. It is very well managed and run by friendly helpful staff. Handy location, quiet, clean and comfy rooms

Efficient, clean and quiet hotel in Burnaby. Breakfast was very good and staff kept choices refilled. Rooms were very clean and staff made an effort to place us on the ground floor as per our request. We would have appreciated more choices in the in-room guide for places to eat close by.

This was a great place to stay very friendly and very clean. They have a great hot continental breakfast. The rates were reasonable. We highly recommend the place and would stay there again. It was fairly close to everything.

Stayed at the Best Western in Burnaby while we were visiting with family. It was a good location, room was quiet and set back from the Kingsway traffic. Breakfast was great with a variety of food items.

Stayed for 1 night in the heart of Burnaby district. Rooms were dated and small but clean and easily accessed due to the motel like layout. Breakfast was excellent and Inn staff were friendly. Free wifi and the pool area was clean and fenced off for privacy.

Excellent location, close to great shopping, great restaurants, and easy access to downtown Vancouver. Updated motel with nicely done renovations. Our bathroom could have stood a bit more renewing. Included breakfast buffet is more than adequate. The staff is the best!

My husband and I stayed here for one night. The room was clean, but in need of updating. The bathroom was functional. The bed was not too comfortable. I was happy we were only staying the one night. Check-in and out were easy and the front desk staff was good.

Very clean & well-maintained property. Nice quiet room, spotlessly clean. A/C worked well. Didn't use pool or gym, but both looked inviting. Typical BW breakfast, but all fresh & very obliging staff. Overall, beating high prices of Vancouver was very pleasant!

Clean central hotel with easy access to Skytrain at Metrotown. Breakfast very good and tasty with lots of choices. Pool and area very clean and the swim was very refreshing given recent high temperatures in lower mainland. Really like the completed renovations. Congratulations on your upgrades! Slept like a baby on the beds.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 of our 16 night trip to BC Canada in August 2017. The hotel is very convenient to stay for the airport and Vancouver city. Located all around the hotel are plenty of eating places, restaurants, fast food and supermarkets within a few mins walk and drive. 5 mins drive from the hotel is the biggest shopping mall in BC. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and have all the amenities. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel. Breakfast included in the room rate is very good and has many different choices of hot and cold breakfast items including eggs, Waffles and pancakes and plenty of it. The staff are very helpful and they gave us very good service. One of them in particular, Dinesh made our stay even better with help to change our reservations due to our change of plans during the busiest travel periods. He offered us better rates than what we could get through an agent and thereby saved us a good amount of money plus got us lots of BW reward points. All the other staff were always willing to help with our requests. The hotel guest laundry is also a convenient amenity. Overall a superb hotel to stay at if you are visiting the Vancouver area.

Hotel was quiet and clean. I managed to get the last room of the hotel during the long weekend but I had to wait until 5 pm to check in. I could have used some hot oatmeal and some hashbrowns with breakfast and the bed was a bit too hard for me, but overall the one night stay was good.

I came to Burnaby for the first time to bring my daughter to SFU residence. The Best Western was excellent, closest to the school with excellent amenities. I would stay here again the next time we come visit

This hotel was beautiful to stay at. Rooms were very clean. The grounds are well maintianed. The swimming pool was wonderful to hang out at. This hotel is within walking distance to the Metro Polis Mall. There is get food places to eat at. The only problem I had was the wi fi was not very strong in the room. Had to go to the lobby.

This is an older motel style accommodation that has been refurbished inside and out. It was very well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was next door at a restaurant where there was lots of room to sit and the staff were excellent at keeping items replenished. There was no hot tub and unfortunately the pool was out of service 2 nights we stayed there. The gym was small but newer equipment. The location is somewhat awkward to get to because of traffic rules about turning, but a 5 min drive from Metrotown mall and train.

Good room although hotel appears unimpressive. Breakfast items were more or less the same over 5 days - this certainly needs to change. The rate should have been 25% lower to give value for money. The hotel is within a km of a transport hub and a mall. The hotel met my needs, so would stay there again.

For the price, the value is great. The room is spacious and it's location is good. Below is a really good Chinese restaurant. The same restaurant that serves the hotels breakfast. A 15 minute walk would take you to one of the largest malls in the country - Metropolis Mall. Worth the price

please try to improve your service specially people at reception, worker at reception are not very friendly at all, but they are very proud someone please have word with them, improve is very much needed, very bed service and had almost argue with guy name Danish very very bad service,

This hotel under new management is updating the lobby and restaurant area. Same attention given to updating rooms will be a great development. Room was not clean to typical BW standards yet hopefully that will change as updating continues across the complex. Very convenient location using Kingsway Road as a straight access to downtown Vancouver and other sights.

Hotel is decent, I would stay there again. rooms and bathrooms could use an upgrade, otherwise we had no problems in this hotel, great parking, staff are friendly. Great internet speed. We didn't try the breakfast. Overeall great hotel

The king suite had a comfortable bed, pillows, kitchen and spacious. The guests seemed to be enjoying the outdoor pool. Unfortunately we did not have time to swim. The breakfast was not good. Very close to Metrotown and was a great location for our needs for this trip.

During my stay here at the Best Western I was amazed by the friendly front desk staff, it had made me feel very welcomed. When we had got to out room i was amazed by how it was laid out. Very modern lay out it was a nice feeling. Since I had drove 5 hours to get to the hotel seeing as i was visitng form out of town ., i couldnt wait to climb into bed and was i ever satisfied with how comfy the bed was. Overall i would stay here all the time.

Staff very friendly and efficient . Rooms clean. Outdoor pool really nice to have a relaxing afternoon. Good location easy to get around . A lot of restaurants near by. Lobby nice and clean. Ok Breakfast.

Good hotel but they must start making rooms earlier because it is not normal to get the room at 5:00pm on a Monday. Room was good and breakfast was very good. Well situated and easy to get to to downtown.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are large and modern, with comfortable beds, good pillows, excellent AC. The pool is small but clean and well maintained. The free breakfast buffet was great - scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, etc. The only thing that made me uncomfortable at first was that there is no inner hallway so the rooms are accessible via the outside only, like a motel. That being said, we didn't have any issues and the area seems pretty safe anyways.

We stayed here in two double rooms for 7 nights. Room itself was clean. However we were unable to walk on the carpet barefooted as it was really dirty. Our feet were black without shoes in both rooms. We believe that this was because the room that we had was within walking distance to the swimming pool and people were walking to and from the pool barefooted. Regardless of this, the room was spacious with good hanging space, tea and coffee facilities, and a very good sized fridge. The location is also ideal. Metro town is within walking distance as is the sky train. Safeway is even closer for your grocery needs. If you have a car, there is free parking for guests too. We couldn't fault the breakfast which is included. There's a great range from fresh made pancakes, waffles, cereals, yougurts as well as scramble ends, bacon and sausages. Reception staff were very friendly. Housekeeping staff unfortunately were not all very friendly but I believe that this was down to a communication issue with me being British and the staff member in question not understanding what it was that I required. All in all, a great stay.. just a pity about the dirty carpet!!

Friendly staff, great breakfast options included in room rates, comfortable and clean rooms, quiet neighbourhood, good internet connection, swimming pool, close proximity to city transport, hotels and shopping. We were able to enjoy great views of the mountains from our room too.

I wish I knew the name of the Front Desk representatives who helped me withCheck-in on my first and second night. Both were Exemplary!!! The first night, we were placed near the pool, as the rep knew I was with my young son. We were so happy with our stay the first night, we spontaneously stayed a second. The front desk clerk went above and beyond and was able to secure us a room near the pool again!

We were on vacation and found this place. Brand new hotel. Lots of parking. Nicely decorated rooms, good- comfy beds, good TV, fast- free wifi. Don't like the bathroom set up but well equipped shower/ toilet and double sinks outside shower area. Includes a really good Continental breakfast with hot eggs and everything else you could need. Dining area turns into an Oriental restaurant at night. Markets, drug stores, pubs nearby and Timmies a mile east. Very friendly staff. Have laundry facilities too.

My family and I stayed 4 nights in this hotel as part of our vacation. The room was clean but we don't like the location. Our main concern was the breakfast. The area for breakfast had 2 sections with different size of tables. Due to large tables, one section was not opened all the time even at the time with more than one section. So, one time a guy had to sit beside me with a different style and habit. More sounds during eating. Also, most of tables had not table cloth. Weired. The forks and knives were not the same size. It could be easily upgrade with a new manager.

Clean rooms and property, decent prices, convenient location, really good breakfast, fast wifi, friendly front desk, what's not to like? Rooms are very quiet, virtyally no noise from Kingsway. Would stay there again if the need arose.

This is a decent hotel in a very convenient place for a visit to Vancouver. Clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff. We had noisy neighbour first night, and although he checked out the staff relocated us to a quieter room anyway. All you can eat breakfast included on site. Mall and Skytrain just a short walk, pubs and shops very close. Plenty of parking. I will definitely use this motel every time I want to visit Vancouver.

Small, exposed swimming pool, but we were too busy to use. Carpets were only thing bringing cleanliness rating down from excellent. Microwaves available upon request, but refrigerators already in room.

Very overpriced for the quality of the accommodations. The area was sketchy with not a lot to see around the hotel especially within walking distance. This was essentially a motel where my room door opened to the outdoors. While I was there, another patron had their car broken into.

So due to the overly-inflated room prices in the lower mainland, The best western Kingsway seemed like a >>more<< reasonably priced alternative... and it delivered. Not exactly a 5-star hotel, but it's a motel that is close to all the amenities including a skytrain station a mere 2.5 blocks away, shopping and great multi-cultural dining (see my other posts). It is a refurbished older motel and still needs a few upgrades (toilet), but it's clean, has great beds and pillows and has good customer service. All in all, a great stay. Maybe next time we'll have time to use the pool and weight room.

Stay was good with limited room facilities. Breakfast was good and customer service is also good. Hotel location is very good where everything available including, transport, food and all needs of the day.

Your average two-storey multiple building complex hotel. typical size room. Everything works, breakfast and free goodies for reward members. Front desk friendly and tries her best to help. "Family operation" feel to it. Parking can be a challenge if full occupancy. Vancouver is NOT cheap in June. This hotel is expensive to my taste.

Nice hotel, big spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Front office staff was efficient and friendly and helpful. Gave us late check out. Close to metrotown mall and Royal Oak Station. Aprx 15 mins walking. Paid Aprx 220 cad which is too much, so if u guys get holiday inn express at metropolis metrotown mall at same rate then that is much better, honest advice. But over hotel was good.

Hotel is outdated but still good for your trip. We got a warm and friendly welcome after the long trip. I like to give a thumb up to the supportive receptionist who checked us in but forgot her name. The breakfast is actually more than good enough for the start of the day.

We returned to this hotel again on this visit and it was even better than before as the modifications are finished and everything was working well. Breakfast was excellent as always with plenty of choice and great food and lots of food. Really enjoyable visit but the fridge was noisy; they will deal with it!!

We stayed four nights at this hotel. Likely because we used a discount rate we were allocated an older room. (Many rooms are being renovated. ) Our room was dated to say the least but was clean and comfortable enough apart from noise from adjacent rooms and those above. Ask for an upstairs room. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of free parking. Location was convenient for touring around Vancouver.

I really don't have an issue with this hotel other than the price. However I do realise this is the going rate for a hotel in Vancouver in June. But the quality of the hotel and stay is definitely far less than the nightly rate paid and thats me being polite. No Frills hotel with acceptable standards, but not somewhere you would want to stay longer than two days. Espesially with kids. On a side note the Chinese restaurant that is attached to the hotel is outstanding. Don't be put off by the fact you eat your breakfast there.

Well located just steps from the skytrain. Rooms are large and comfortable. Very tasty breakfast including many choices. Good hotel for one or two nights. The hotel does not have a gym but offers free passes for one that is nearby.

Have stayed here a few times for work and have not had any issues. Front desk attendants are kind and helpful and the rooms were clean. They offer free breakfast and parking. It is in walking distance of many restaurants and the mall.

The staff were all helpful, the room was clean, breakfast was very good. They gave an extra hello kitty necklace to my daughter (5 years old) and she was very excited. We forgot dish soap for our 1 year old baby bottles and they were quick to lend us a bottle. Excellent staff at both breakfast and main hotel.

Every part of the stay from walking in the lobby to leaving the room for going home.... staff are friendly, rooms are clean, breakfast included is excellent!!!! I look forward to my stay each and every time!

The room was clean, the bed was firm and comfortable. The service was fast and helpful. It was an hour's walk from where I needed to be, but the next nearest competitor was much more expensive. I don't regret my decision to stay here at all, despite the distance.

This is my 2rd time here and the new look was great I with my mum so we had a suite with a fridge stove microwave and a couch bed for my mum we had a great time staying here and now they have Telus tv which was great the hot breakfast was good just wish they had bacon more the staff was great easy check in and check out and the house keeping was great they were always helpful and cheerful I would like to thank you for the great stay

They had a great breakfast and very nice room. The kitchen in our suite made the stay better and easier. Pool was a great bonus for the kids to play in. Super close to the metro town mall, food and other stores.

We have returned twice to this hotel now. 20 minute drive to most needed vacation spots for vancouver. Kids love the pool and the new renovations give the place a modern cozy feeling. The free breakfast is always good with variety of food. Staff is very friendly, even the maids smile and say hello. Also.. onviently located a block from the best shopping mall in Vancouver. Happy wife, happy life.

Nicely remodeled two story hotel, great location with lots of paved parking and an outdoor swimming pool pool. Also had a very good Breakfast. The Chinese Restaurant which opens late afternoon was Excellent.

BW Kings Inn was a good choice for a restful stay for a business meeting. Our room was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Traffic noise was minimal as we were at the back of the building. An excellent hot breakfast was provided in an adjoining building. Front desk staff were pleasant but could be more helpful. Breakfast staff were excellent. This hotel has many Asian clients and staff are all multilingual. The restaurant, when not the breakfast buffet, is traditional Chinese and the food is very good.

My organization held a conference at this hotel in May. The communication between the organizers and the event coordinator was almost non-existent, unless someone was right in front of her. Luckily we had a person near enough to do just that as we organized our event. Once the event was in progress, Vivian was right there and very helpful. There was an extremely rude front desk man who could not be bothered to answer simple questions if they pertained to the group event, instead one had to wait while he called the event coordinator, Vivian. This was a serious waste of my time, I was already pressed for time taking care of some of the final bits and pieces of the event. The worst was the banquet at the end of this two day event. The food was delicious, by the way. The hotel did not have enough staff to actually cater and serve this event. The bartender was trying to do the whole thing. He had to close the bar early, after starting late because no one had seen fit to give him the cash to open his bar on time, so he could go serve and carve at the buffet line. Vivian, the event coordinator, came and helped serve. There were 80 people for the banquet. Two people is just not enough for this kind of event. On a more mundane note, the breakfast that came with the hotel rooms was so-so. The rooms that I saw for this hotel are rather on the small side, so keep that in mind. I would not recommend this hotel for a large event unless and until they get more staff to help with the actual meals. And get rid of Mister Unhelpful at the front desk, the rest of the front desk staff were very accommodating.

Spent 10 days at this hotel while a relative recovered from surgery. Had 2 connecting king-size rooms both with refrigerator and microwave. Beds comfortable, rooms clean, staff very helpful and kind (my recovering niece received flowers from staff). Close to lots of restaurants and 300 metres from a Safeway. I km from a huge mall with a Superstore. Relatively poor sound insulation between rooms - could hear people running around outside and upstairs and my niece's room had a closed connecting door with another room and she could hear the people laughing and yelling and crying. With the bathroom fan and climate control fans on she could muffle the sounds. Place became quiet enough late evening to sleep. There is a fitness centre and a laundry room for guests! Burnaby is a fabulous place to visit and because of the great location of this motel and the staff, we would stay again.

We had a kitchenette room was clean and had what we needed for our week long stay The bed was old and not that comfy though .... And breakfast staff very cheery but food was boring greasy scrambled eggs daily and a greasy meat .... Waffles and pancakes were good though!

Always a friendly staff to greet you and take care of your needs. Excellent value for your dollar. A nutritious, hot breakfast to help you start your day. I never stay anywhere else and I have lots of choices.

The staff here is excellent. The location is walking distance to the sky train, great restaurants and Metrotown Mall. The rooms are quiet, clean and well equipped. I would stay here again and recommend this hotels to others.

We have been going to this hotel for 29 years now and I don't think we have ever had a bad stay, It is a high end place with an amazing indoor pool and hot tub surrounded by lush vegetation and waterfalls. If you go there with kids ask for a first floor room with the door opening to the pool, if you go as a couple get a balcony room that has views of the pool. Then you can sit out on your balcony with an glass of wine and imagine you are on a tropical vacation. We always request room 211 and every time we go it is like coming home.

What should have been a nice celebration of two birthdays and Mothers Day turned in to a very unpleasant experience, My family fron out of town expected the Queen Suite with kitchen and hide-a-bed to be suitable for two adults and 3 small Children. They checked in then joined other family for diner. The children were put to bed in the queen bed; but when the parent pulled out the hide-a-bed they found the sheets moth eaten, dirty, dusty and yellow with age.

I paid a room online with 2 beds with my visa debit card then when I get over there to pay the damage deposit they say sorry we don't take debit which the other best Western hotel always except my debit card for the damage deposit the I asked for my money back that I paid online at least and they didn't even give me the $209 back

Nice place, quiet even though it's against a busy street. Rooms, comfortable and clean. Supermarket right next door, very convenient. Mall within walking distance. Friendly staff. Breakfast is included (simple food, but clean and sufficient for us).

Very nice place to stay. Front desk staff was very friendly. There was 24 hour security staff on-site. The company did not "cheap out" on facility maintenance. All staff were very friendly and accommodating -- clearly good management. If staff is happy, that usually means good management. One of the best complementary breakfasts I've been served. I would stay there again.

The grounds were nice and the room was clean but a bit on the small side (we had a standard king room). The toilet was loud when flushed. Pillows weren't the most comfortable but the bed was. Front end restaurant staff were very friendly. The window didn't open and we weren't able to get the room any cooler than 22 C. Great shower head with lots of hot water, though. Overall, not the perfect room but it served our purpose well, was in a good location, and parking was free. Didn't notice the street noise at all.

This would have been a great place if was a bit cheeper. Staff were ok. Beds awful. Brecky good. Pool was closed only open in summer. Room stunk. Had a prostitute knock on room door at 1 am. Reported to security. The security guards were amazing.

Nice room, very friendly staff, great breakfast! Even though we made a last minute reservation, the reception staff was very accommodating. I'd definitely come back to this hotel. Location was also great.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Easily accessible from highway. Had no problem checking to see if we could check in early. Centrsl location to everything. Gave out complimentary breakfast to restaurant on site.

Lower price hotel in the Burnaby area and you get what you pay for. Standard hotel, nothing too special about it. The rooms could use an update. The service was good at check in, we had to wait a little bit due to someone else in front of us that were taking awhile.

Excellent central location close to many restaurants shops and Metrotown mall. Nicely renovated all over, super clean. very well priced with pet friendly rooms. I've stayed at hotels all over the world and there is no better staff anywhere. For a reasonably inexpensive hotel, you will get more than your money's worth.

Hotel is fine and pet-friendly although a bad location for dog walks. Decent place to stay but enjoy breakfast somewhere else! 10 minute fast walk to Skytrain - good. I'm not sure why the continental, packaged, bland and sugary breakfast is considered a selling point at hotels in this price range!

They NEED COFFEE CUP LIDS! In my 30 years travelling, I have never seen ANY hotel not have cup lids! At Bfast, the pancake station and waffle station was never up and working at opening. And breakfast never started at 6:30 AM as advertised. This made me scramble for work so I wasn't LATE!! BTW - Finish that Lobby Cafe area!!

staff was excellent - sick child with us - who got the flu - fresh linens were delivered every time we needed them. maids were very helpful and kind - asking how the child was. Never got a chance to try the breakfast.

I've stayed here three times now and like being close to the Metropolis mall and many restaurants. The exterior was undergoing a major remodel the first two times I stayed. I was glad to see the remodel is now complete and it looks nice. Each room has an exterior entrance but I've noticed on several occasions that people hangout outside their room to smoke and talk. Though the interior walls block most of the noise from adjoining rooms, conversations from the smokers comes straight in through the door. The morning breakfast has always been better than most 'free breakfast' hotels. Breakfast opens at 7:00am.

Stayed here two other times. Never have been disappointed. Staff has always been helpful. After the remodel, this place is beautiful and updated. The rooms are nice with great beds. Be back next year. The hotel also offers free breakfast next door.

I have stayed there numerous times, solo and with family and though it is a fair way from downtown, it is comfortable. Now that the major renos are done, they need to work on all areas being consistent. The last time we stayed there previous to this visit, the rooms and staff weren't that impressive, but the young man in the breakfast area was outstanding. This visit, I found Dinesh at the front desk was outstanding. I arrived without reservation and he was very helpful in accommodating me. Unfortunately I had to cut my stay short after one night, but he was understanding and had me checked out in short order. Thanks Dinesh. Rooms are very nice now thought the fridge in my room was very loud. The breakfast on the other hand was very disappointing. What happened to the great young man that was there before? Everything was full and hot and he was always going around making sure everyone was happy. This visit, there was one other family in the dining area and when I got to the serving area, there was a bit of over cooked eggs, no bacon or coffee. I asked the staff member where everything was, but her mouth was so full of food she couldn't talk. Maybe where all the bacon went? Had a long wait for bacon, no new eggs arrived and when they finally brought coffee, my cup was filled with coffee grounds. I usually leave a decent tip, but not this day. I would recommend this location and will continue to stay there, but it would be nice if it was a great experience in all areas.

I stayed 6 nts in a room with 2 queen beds. pros~ This hotel/motel is not too expensive being it's the lower mainland (no toll bridges to pay when going into Van.) The staff were all accommodating & delightful.Clean,spacious room with very comfortable beds.Buffet bkfst was pancakes,waffles,scrambled & hard boiled eggs,ham slices,& either bacon or sausages,cereals,yogarts,yummy pastries,breads,limited fruit,juice,good coffee,decent breakfast.New lobby,which wasn't finished yet,is already awesome.It is walkable to Safeway,all sorts of stores & restaurants. Metrotown mall was a few minutes away by car. The sky train is at the Metro Mall.I can't comment on bus service but there is lots of parking at the hotel. cons~ no microwave in the room would be my biggest complaint.I thought $12.00 to rent a movie is too much,so didn't.Slighty sketchy area,but I felt safe to walk alone,even at night.

We visited the "King" earlier this year and, while it was quite enjoyable the state of the building in progress made the place a "little" hazardous. Well the work has been finished except for a little in the new lobby and it would be really worthwhile staying there if you wanted somewhere in the Vancouver area. Breakfast was excellent as before; staff were also excellent and the room was very comfortable. The only complaints were nothing too serious, noisy fridge, blackout curtains not perfect and no room safe.
