"Lovely Hotel"

Evanka162, Galway, Ireland 15/08/2021

I recently stayed in this hotel for one night with my boyfriend, a last minute booking. What a little gem it turned out to be, loads of car parking on arrival, all the staff we met were lovely. The bedroom was bright and spacious. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, the pillows and the duvet felt like one big hug!! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Great stay"

Antony S, Wanborough, United Kingdom 05/07/2021

Stayed here a few nights on business; found the hotel to be lovely and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable - the bed was huge - and would happily return for another stay next time I have to visit. Special mention to Mary from the restaurant front of house who was really helpful and accommodating while we were there.

"Staff are the jewel in the crown"

756shirleyd, Ardee, Ireland 01/07/2021

The friendliness and efficiency of the staff we met here made our stay. Efficient, attentive and had a bit of banter so good fun too. Facilities basic (in our room) but clean, comfortable and well presented.

"Great customer service"

User 01/07/2021

We were supposed to stay at this hotel in June 2021 but due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to, and ended up having to cancel outside the seven day cancellation period. I found Christina the manager very understanding and professional to deal with and because of the lovely customer service we received we are very much looking forward to staying at this hotel in the near future.

"Fire at the Hotel"

sunsearcher2009, Kilkenny, Ireland 29/06/2021

I said I'd include this as I notice a few people complaining that their booking has been cancelled. We are just back from a staycation around Ireland, we first spent 3 days in Co. Mayo, on Wednesday 23rd June we left Mayo and had booked to stay overnight in the Bunratty Castle Hotel, really to break the journey as we were travelling down to Killarney. We arrived at the Hotel at 2.30pm parked our car outside and just checked at reception that it was ok to leave our car there. The Reception staff seemed very friendly and helpful. We went for a walk around Bunratty Castle and Folk Park while we waited for our room to be ready. when we left the folk park to return to the hotel we noticed the fire, apparently there had been a fire at the back of the Kitchen area. There were a few fire engines there putting out the fire and there was a lot of smoke, the fire men got the fire under control very quickly. While this was going on a member of staff from the hotel came out to the cordoned off area and spoke to a number of the hotel guests, she suggested we have a drink or walk around Bunratty while they waited to get confirmation from the Fire Men etc regarding whether the hotel would reopen or not. She said she would return to the cordoned off area to keep us updated. About 2 hours later I noticed that some cars seemed to be moving around inside the cordoned off area, there must have been another entrance opened. I walked inside the cordoned area and discovered that there were some staff at the entrance to the hotel and they were speaking to people that were arriving to check in. It was extremely unorganized, the 3 girls had paper lists with some names on them and had a mobile phone between them, there didnt seem to be any proper method of contacting guests, they were just waiting for them to arrive. At this stage I was informed that an alternative booking had been made for me in a hotel in Shannon (about 10 minutes drive away). I decided to decline this offer as we had decided to continue on to Killarney instead, when we explained about the fire to our Hotel in Killarney they managed to find a room for us at a very good rate. I know I'm probably being unfair complaining, and at the time I was really understanding and friendly to the staff, I fully understand the pressure they were under at that time, but almost a week has passed now and we have not received any communication from the Hotel, we lost a day of our holiday, were quite stressed for a time that our car could have damaged and I feel at the very least they should have sent an email apologising for the inconvenience. I think at the time there was an obvious lack of management of staff in terms of how they were dealing with guests. As I said I fully understand this was a very traumatic experience for everyone, but a quick email apologising would not have gone astray, maybe it might arrive yet :)

"Booking cancelled"

User 25/06/2021

Had booked for 2 nights beginning of July via about 8 weeks ago. Just got notification this evening that my booking has been cancelled as the hotel can not accomadate us , no explanation was provided. Very disappointed to be left with no accomodation this short notice as we had purposely booked well in advance to ensure we got a booking. This was a stop over on our way to Galway and now we are left with no alternative. Very poor service from the hotel

"Family stay"

User 24/06/2021

We booked into the Bunratty castle hotel for 3 nights but were moved out after 2 nights because there was a fire in the kitchen. For the while we were there the hotel is lovely, staff very friendly and food is good. The rooms are dark, my only small thing.

"Nice hotel great staff"

Chunny35, Dublin, Ireland 22/06/2021

Hotel was clean and staff were wonderful. I was a little disappointed with the Covid regulations not being implemented. Room was cleaned despite the fact that we had expressed that we would prefer no one to come into our room during our stay. Ran out of towels on Saturday morning and were not brought to us until 6pm.

"So disappointing"

User 19/06/2021

Restaurant staff were so friendly but all concentrated on working in bar. As a result left sitting with half finished food, no option of dessert, incredibly slow service for dinner only interested in drinks customers. Room comfortable and clean but after lockdown looking for a treat would not recommend.

"They always make you feel special"

ofahy, Dublin, Ireland 17/06/2021

Having stayed many times in the hotel, it was lovely to see that the last year hasn't affected the quality of service the hotel provides. The food is as delicious as ever and the staff are still the friendliest. Big shout out to David and Joey who helped make my mum's birthday weekend even more special.

"Friends Trip"

User 14/06/2021

Beautiful Hotel with friendly and helpful staff we felt very welcome, food was lovely at both dinner and breakfast the health centre was a favourite of ours the swimming pool was clean and well maintained overall we will definitely be back

User 11/06/2021

We stayed here last night as our first night away with our young baby. The staff were absolutely brilliant and so helpful. The hotel itself was lovely. The food in the restaurant was so tasty and the staff had no issue working around the buggy at the table. Definitely on our list of hotels to revisit.

"Great stay in Bunratty"

LMR610, Cork, Ireland 09/06/2021

Stayed here with family over the Bank Holiday weekend. Overall we had a lovely stay. Its a pity check in is so late.. 4pm...we arrived at 3pm and asked if by any chance our room was ready but were told no. When we came back at 4pm there was a queue so it was 4.30pm when we got to the room and as we have small kids dinner was booked for 5pm so not much time to get ready. Dinner both nights was nice. Staff were excellent in all departments. The cooked breakfast was a little poor I felt. It was all undercooked so the 2nd morning I went for French toast and it was a better option. Again staff were excellent at breakfast. We visited the pool both days. Could have been a bit warmer and would have been nice if the jacuzzi area was working but the kids enjoyed it. Staff in the spa were excellent. We had one issue with our room on the 2nd day...we arrived back and no lights would turn on...I mentioned it to an accommodation assistant who got the manager straight away and she checked a fuse box in the room and discovered a switch had tripped. The problem was resolved quickly and she replaced the batteries in the TV remote as she realised it wasn't working very well when she was trying to see if the TV was working after flipping the switch. Overall we loved our stay here and we will definitely be back.

"Lovely stay!"

mandyp1990, Cork, Ireland 02/06/2021

We recently spent a weekend here and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The staff were very friendly and obliging especially Rob. Food was gorgeous and the rooms were very comfortable. From a covid point of view, it felt safe with appropriate safety measures in place. Overall great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

"Good value family stay in a lovely relaxed setting "

DeniMu, Dublin, Ireland 15/05/2021

We stayed for a 3 night family summer break last summer, one of a few hotels we stayed in during post covid lockdown. The hotel offered extremely good value compared to many other 4 star hotels in August, with added bonus of a pool and the proximity to the bunratty Folk park. We had two young children with us who really enjoyed their stay and the folk park. The family room was spacious and modern, a decent walk from the reception as hotel is quite long. It was comfortable with lots storage. Covid guidelines here meant no room cleaning during stay, towels and other supplies left outside the room. This was ok for 3 day stay but other hotels were offering full cleaning on request. Breakfast was on a booking system. I booked in advance of stay and secured slots we wanted on the later end. The breakfast room was lovely and spacious and the serving staff brought everything to the table. They were very patient outlining all the cold options and there was a decent menu for a made to order hot breakfast with plenty of variety. We really enjoyed it and it was relaxing just sitting eating rather than running to buffets with kids in tow or minding them while one person did. The staff brought a variety of pastries to the table each morning too. We ate in the bar/restaurant one evening. The space was a bit bare looking but the food was good. The hotel has a nice outside terrace for sitting and drinks after dinner or daytime coffee. The bar staff were serving there too. The lobby seating was busy. The bar stopped serving at 10pm which didnt bother us but may be an issue for adults holidaying with no kids. We secured a booking for the pool for 45 minutes. We had it almost to ourselves most of the slot. Obviously sauna and jacuzzi shut off. The kids really enjoyed the pool and would have stayed longer but we were happy to get anything. It would be nice if the hotel had an indoor games room or play area onsite for kids. There is no kids pool. The bunratty castle we were advised by reception was just across from the hotel via a footpath a few minutes away but you may want to note that the entrance is still quite a walk away for little ones and we really wished we brought the car to the castle car park for our 3 year old as he was tired by time we reached the entrance. We had a full day out in of the park. It was fantastic. There are quite a few gastrobars and shops just beside the hotel too. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We tried to book this summer but cannot secure a family room again.

"Lovely Stay"

Frank L, Lucan, Ireland 07/03/2021

A beautiful hotel, with fantastic staff. Very easy location to find. The evening dinner and breakfast was very tasty and well presented. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Large bathroom with a shower and seperate bath. Large car park. Could not fault this stay at all.

"Absolute Gem of a Hotel"

User 24/02/2021

I stayed here with my wife and kids ( aged 4 and 2) July 2020. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who had us booked in very quickly. We arrived at our spacious family room which was very comfortable. Throughout our 3 day stay the staff at Bunratty Hotel could not have been any more helpful and made our kids feel very welcome. We had to book the swimming pool for an hour due to Covid but this was no problem. The food in the hotel was lovely we had breakfast and dinner here each day. Bunratty is a great base for exploring what Clare has to offer. The kids really enjoyed Bunratty folk Park and spent over 6 hours here. We will return to Bunratty Hotel again this year for similar few days.

"Great hotel and perfect location"

User 27/12/2020

Came here with my son, you must book the pool and you get a 30 min time slot, beware of large portions in restaurant especially for the starters food was really nice, definitely go to the Creamery down the road good food there and very friendly atmosphere. The hotel is close to city about 20 mins away with plenty of shops and markets, the milk market is worth a visit and ferris wheel down at the Quay is great for the views of the city.

"Lovely experience"

User 20/10/2020

Stayed here for one night with my partner. Staff were so friendly and food was gorgeous. We felt very safe here as the hotel was spotless and there were several sanitising stations throughout the hotel.

"Friendly helpful staff"

Donna A, Western Ireland, Ireland 19/10/2020

Food was lovely and deserts were brilliant. Lovely staff and nice hotel to relax in. Not far from Castle but was disappointed as thought it was in castle as name made me think. Not far from mead distillery

"County staycation"

User 16/10/2020

Lovely hotel. Didn't know what we had within our own county and would definitely stay there again. Couldn't praise the leisure facilities, room and food enough. The pool was ideal for us as a family and the setting around the hotel which was very nice in the autumn would be lovely during the summer!

"There's a gatekeeper on reception"

Felixamber, Dublin, Ireland 09/10/2020

We arrived at the hotel around 1pm. Unfortunately, it wasn't the hotels fault but we did not get a nice welcome, there was a girl getting sick at the entrance to the hotel beside the flower pot for a good 5 minutes!! When she finished, we made our way in to reception and got our temperatures taken. We asked the receptionist when we could check in and were told 4pm! I was very surprised by this, it was a Wednesday, we are in level 3, the hotel seemed very quiet. I found the receptionist curt and not interested in her job, like we were a nuisance she had to get rid of. I told her then about the lovely welcome outside. We came back after 3pm and I went in again to see if we could get in and was dismayed to see the same receptionist, but result got a room. Our room was at the end of 2 corridors and it was as I suspected, there were corridors full of rooms not in use, I could tell by the covid cleaning signs on the outside of the doors. When we arrived at the room, the door was open which was surprising so I called down to the receptionist again and she said she would check with house keeping. While we were waiting, a man came in to collect his tool which was stuck to the aircon. It was all bizarre especially during covid times. Receptionist called back to say it was fine and I said to her but there was a man in our room and she was like it's grand. I knew we wouldn't get further with her so just settled in. The bed was very comfy and room was nice and warm. We went swimming in pool and we were the only 2 in it. There was only 2 others at breakfast and room seemed too big to have any kind of ambience. Both of those are examples which show how quiet hotel was so don't know why we couldn't have been given room sooner. The breakfast was grand but strangely they are not allowed to serve toast!! I wouldn't stay here again unless it was after work and I literally needed a room for the night. Checkout was 11.30am, too early, especially if checkin is 4pm.

User 09/10/2020

I stayed here for a couple of nights at the beginning of October 2020 with my husband. The first thing I noticed was how clean the lobby was, it was spotless. Hand sanitiser was available, the desk had a protective screen around it and there was also a digital thermometer that we were encouraged to use. Check-in was quick;the ladies on reception were friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was very clean, a little bit dated but it had been thoroughly cleaned which is all that matters right now. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was brilliant - its actually one of the best hotel showers I've experienced. We had dinner both nights in the hotel restaurant/bar. To say it was delicious is an understatement. The servers were very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. (I would highly recommend the duck with noodles). The restaurant was spotless, it is a large, airy space and the tables are very well spaced out so we weren't nervous at all. We ate in the bar area on the second night. Again, this area was very clean and there was plenty of room between each table. The servers were attentive and friendly and very helpful. The food is very reasonably priced and absolutely worth every penny. We ate breakfast both mornings in the hotel. It was plentiful and very tasty. The bread and pastries come individually wrapped which was great (we actually brought those with us to have later on) and the servers were very particular about not touching the glassware on the tables for our benefit. The hotel itself is situated right across the road from Bunratty Castle and Durty Nellies pub, which is ideal, and just a few minutes walk down the road is Blarney Woollen Mills. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and have already recommended the hotel to family members, who hope to visit in the future when things settle down with the pandemic. We will definitely be back!!

"Very Disappointing"

intrepudtraveller, Dublin, Ireland 06/10/2020

I was so excited to have a couple of nights away but unfortunately based on my experience will not be doing so again any time soon. * Check-in was fine however I was not asked to check my temperature (nor were any of the other guests who checked in whilst I was in reception) despite there being a giant thermal temperature machine as soon as you walk in * You're given a piece of paper advising of Covid19 guidelines including a stipulation that face masks are mandatory in ALL PUBLIC AREAS of the hotel (unless you are seated having a drink or food). Other than this piece of paper, there is absolutely zero signage anywhere in the hotel about masks. * The rooms are large, clean and well made up, however due to Covid19 changes you should note the following: -- no room service and no daily housekeeping - a plastic bag of towels and toilet paper is left outside your door each day -- no robes or slippers in my room -- aircon doesnt work - you have to ask at reception for it to be activated * I also had a phone that didnt work, it wasnt replaced until I mentioned it again the next day and the replacement phone didnt work either *No Nespresso pods - I was told they were out of stock (?) but then they turned out to be in stock because there were a load in my room when I went back upstairs * A mix-up with housekeeping & the kitchen meant that a gesture of goodwill for my birthday from the hotel on arrival had me given a plate of cakes that were not gluten free (which I ate) despite my advising the hotel I was coeliac when I booked. To be fair to the hotel, Sandra was extremely apologetic and offered a partial refund on the room rate which was much appreciated but I came away with the impression that because this was something the hotel were giving me as an extra that it wasnt as serious or as big of an issue as if I had ordered the food myself? * Breakfast both mornings, dinner in the restaurant on the first night and in the bar on the second night were absolutely superb - faultless from start to finish and is the reason the review has 2 stars. Huge credit to the waiting staff who were all excellent. * Biggest issue was the lack of compliance for Covid19 regulations from other guests. There was a wedding on the Saturday night and despite the wedding party having their own function room, the entire evening wedding guests milled around in reception, stopped for chats, handshakes, wandered in and out to the toilets etc and 95% of them were not wearing masks and I didn't see anyone ask them to put one on. There was also a queue at the bar off reception for drinks for much of the evening which is not allowed under Covid19 regulations, and the wedding guests were regularly in this queue instead of staying in the function room. On Sunday evening a male guest walked into the bar/restaurant in his socks(?!) 3 times, chatting away to staff with no mask on and even sat down to peruse the menu to decide what he wanted to order later on, chatting away to 2 staff members right next to him. It was as if there was no global pandemic and people were behaving with absolutely no regard for others. Whilst I fully appreciate that its ultimately up to the individuals to wear masks (Sandra made it very clear the hotel had zero legal power to enforce any Covid19 guidelines or restrictions), I feel that management could have made more of an effort to provide clear signage and to at least attempt to remind people of the rules. Overall I didn't feel safe or protected in public areas of this hotel, I didn't feel they did everything in their power to enforce adherence to Government advice and despite fabulous meals and exceptional table service, I wouldnt go back nor would I recommend to family or friend - there are too many other 4-5 star hotels out there making more of an effort to make their guests feel safe.

"Very thorough"

J9489HRjamesj, Castlebar, Ireland 04/10/2020

Stayed here with my partner recently in executive suite. 417. Could not fault hotel. Staff very friendly. Room/ pool/bar and food all fantastic. Very thorough with all covid protocols which is very relaxing when having a night away recently. I also work in a hotel and was very happy with everything. Will return soon.

"Worst hotel ever stayed in"

User 27/09/2020

Absolute nightmare everything was awful from the service, the room, the food, the value just a god awful place from hell and wouldnt let my biggest enemy stay there. From the minute we booked we were over charged €50 when highlighted we promised an "upgrade room" and dessert plate as an apology which we didnt get. The lady we booked with had forgotten so i had to remind the girl when checking in which i thought was very unprofessional as it was their mistake. She had also forgotten to make note of dinner and breakfast reservations so we didnt get the times we had originally requested so we were off to a very bad start. Things got worse when we got to the room, it was dated and filthy with cobwebs and dead flies (i have photos) and like it wasnt hoovered in weeks. There was an unpleasant surprise in the toilet bowl also which lets say wasnt ours! (Didnt take photo of this obviously) The food was awful and even my dessert came with a foul smell of raw egg which of course we sent back. The staff everywhere were completely clueless. They did not stick to Covid-19 regulations and had people queuing at the bar for drink which is not allowed as meant to be table service. I mentioned this to the barstaff and they apologised but continued to do so. We felt very uncomfortable and couldnt wait to leave. To top it off there was a hair in my partners breakfast and no soap in the main toilets in the hotel. Over all joke of a hotel and if you are anyway nervous of the coronovirus then this is not the place to stay.

Dercov, Dublin, Ireland 27/09/2020

Stayed here as part of staycation in the West. When we arrived we were pleased to see the temperature check at the door and all COVID procedures in place. We found the staff friendly and efficient and the swimming pool was the icing on the cake. So relaxing after our journey. The hotel is in an ideal location for a visit to the Castle which is very interesting and also across the road from Durty Nellys pub/restaurant which is not to be missed for delicious food. It's also in a good location to visit other parts of Clare and we hope to stay here again on our next road trip to the West.

"Family Break"

mary9782020, Cork, Ireland 25/09/2020

Great location a couple of minutes walk from Bunratty Castle.and the Folkpark . The Folkpark is a great place to spend quite a few hours with the kids. The hotel had all the necessary protection in place , shield, hand sanitizers Breakfast and Swimming Pool was limited to a number of occupants . All had to be pre-book and no issue. Staff were very helpful and friendly . Good quality food served at breakfast with plenty of variety and very attentive staff,.

"Terrible food"

reillyaoife, Limerick, Ireland 24/09/2020

Hotel staff and facilities lovely. Bed very comfortable and bathroom great. Covid 19 prevention fantastic. Ate in the bar for dinner and it was not worth the money. For a 4star hotel you would expect food to be made by the chef but it was very obvious it is all bought in and just cooked/heated up by the chef. My vegetarian dish was just pasta with 1 mushroom cut up in a packet made sauce..... please hire a chef who makes the food themselves from scratch.

Dear reillyasoife, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Bunratty Castle Hotel. We are delighted to hear that you found the hotel staff and facilities lovely. I am surprised to hear that you did not enjoy the food as normally guests exclaim at how much they enjoyed the food. I can assure you none of our food is bought in and reheated. Our evening kitchen team begin at 11am and spend the hours between 11am and the start of food service at 5pm, prepping all food in-house. Had you let us know at the time that you were not impressed by your food, We would have replaced it for you. We hope that we may have the opportunity to welcome you back to The Bunratty Castle Hotel. "Amazing stay"

Veronica G, Dublin, Ireland 21/09/2020

I stayed 2 nights with my partner. Finally we did something nice after this horrendous period...I had an amazing experience since time of reservation, a special thanks goes to Sandra, who happened to check me in too, she was wonderful. We got a free upgrade and once we arrived we found the wine we requested plus a marvellous plate with cakes. The hotel has a strict policy for Covid19 which makes you feel very safe, they have a machine at the entrance which controls the body temperature. The food we had there on hour second night was Superb, and the service was excellent, a special thanks goes to Sophie. The location is perfect. I will definitely come back and reccomend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed for 1 night B&B. We found the staff very professional and accommodating (couldn't do enough for us) food was a very high standard and portions very generous. The room was very clean and well kept. Only negative was the TV was very small for the distance away from the bed/ lounge area. We would highly recommend staying at this location and will be returning again

"Best Day of Our Lives!"

User 20/09/2020

My husband and I got married here in August 2019. The staff and, in particular Marion and Brian, were so understanding, friendly and reassuring. They went above and beyond to ensure that our guests were spoiled. We coordinated the wedding from abroad and yet Marion couldn't have made the whole thing any easier. Most of all, we had fun organizing it, fun at the tastings and smiled from start to finish on the day. We cannot wait to come back and celebrate more occasions here.

"Not safe to stay in this Hotel"

User 14/09/2020

We stayed in this hotel on Sept 6th and were shocked that government guidelines relating to the coronavirus were not implemented. There was no table service in the Bar/Restaurant and when i asked "why not" i was told they were short of staff which was unacceptable. On more than one occasion there was a queue of 11 people waiting to be served at the bar. We did not see any tables being sanitized when people left them and the reception area looked more like a function room at a wedding with no social distancing. We are Frontline and HSE workers that have worked hard since the beginning of this pandemic and could not believe the behaviour of other guests, staff and management of this hotel. We spoke with the duty manager the following morning and were told our complaint would be addressed at a meeting with senior management later in the week but we have not been contacted by anyone from this hotel yet. Unfortunately there was no duty of care to guests or staff during our stay at a time when" we should all be in this together "

"Excellent Hotel"

Excellent Hotel in excellent location, Very friendly staff, Breakfast was first rate, Very comfortable bed and pillows, Check in and Check out was effortless, I would definitely recommend this hotel with no problem.

"Bad Experience "

Whilst we completely understand the restrictions covid has imposed on us, it should not compromise the quality of customer service we expect when paying hard earned money to stay in this hotel. The sharp, curt, receptionist we were met with when we arrived too early was certainly NOT a feel good ambassador for this hotel. There was no, kindness or understanding, just a "You cannot book in before 4pm," you dont have to leave until 12 midday so what more do you want! That was what we took away from her "warm welcome". We didn't even expect to book in, but wanted to leave our number should the room be ready before 4pm! She went on to inform us if we wanted coffee or lunch to go down to the village!! If it hadn't of been for the fact we were meeting family later that evening we would definitely of not gone back. Also there were no bathrobes, slippers, coffee pods in the room, although the Junior Suite which we booked clearly states they would be included! The coffee machine was in the room ...... these things of course mean nothing, but the courtesy of being told they would not be on offer would of been nice. The mattress was not as comfortable as I would have expected in a 4 star Hotel, but again the most important thing to us was the customer service that was severely lacking in the mature receptionist that frankly could have taken lessons from the well mannered younger staff members we dealt with during our stay. We most definitely will not be back!

"Pleasant hotel"

User 12/09/2020

We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were basic but clean and had everything we needed. The pool was small but lovely and very clean. I had a massage which I really enjoyed although I felt they could have had cheaper/30 min massages on offer. Breakfast was grand but we couldn't have toast because of the restrictions which I found very strange. We didn't eat in the bar but the menu looked lovely. I think the hotel has a 4* rating because of the spa and leisure centre. The beds weren't overly comfortable and we started to feel a bit stiff and sore after the second night. We enjoyed our stay here and would probably recommend to friends looking for a value for money hotel

"Really excellent "

davidpY3667AL, Lisburn, United Kingdom 07/09/2020

My wife and I had a very enjoyable time here. I couldn't fault anything. Great hotel and great staff. Rooms were spacious, huge comfortable bed. We ate in the hotel and once again the food was very good.

"Staycation "

User 05/09/2020

Hotel has excellent location in Bunratty. Walking distance to Folk Park, Restaurants and bus stop to Limerick city. Rooms were sanitised and every area of hotel was scrupulously cleaned and sanitised. A great choice of delicious breakfasts available. Staff were amazing at all times. Pool and Spa were opened although due to Covid restrictions jacuzzi & sauna etc.. Closed off. We stayed for 4 nights and we ate once in the hotel and then in The Creamery, Durty Nellies and JP Clarkes. Although food in general was good, JP'S got the big thumbs up on account of "home made chips" and the environment in general. We visited the Folk Park which is a must and the village of Adare which was voted pretiest village in Ireland. We also took local bus to Limerick and did an historical walk which was very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"4 star ?? "

robertmQ6134OL, Maynooth, Ireland 04/09/2020

This is most certainly not a 4 star.. tbh it's a poor 3 star .. Old , neglected and just soulless The restaurant turns tables which is the first hotel in Ireland I have seen do that in last 3 months .. Place is awful I was so so disappointed it's tough to even think of one plus

Megan Roberts, Marketing at Bunratty Castle Hotel, BW Signature Collection, responded to this review
Good Evening Robert, I am disappointed to read your review. Usually, Guests remark at how wonderful they found the hotel so I am surprised to hear you did not find the hotel so. Our hotel has been graded a four star hotel for numerous years under the national standards outlined by Failte Ireland. Our hotel is inspected yearly and has passed. Perhaps providing us some insight as to why you found the hotel to be '3 poor star' would allow us to investigate and in the case that there may be any issues they may then be rectified in order to improve the future guest experience. Following the guidelines set out by the government, The restaurant has three sitting in the evening, each lasting an hour and a half. The tables are then sanitized and given a 15 minute resting period before the next guest uses the table. This practice is customary throughout Ireland in all food serving establishments, I am surprised to hear that you have stayed in hotel that will only use a table once a night. Kindest Regards, The Customer Service Team

"Staff were fantastic"

Shireland13, Dublin, Ireland 02/09/2020

Same as everyone else in 2020, not a hotel I would have used pre-covid. The location is amazing, can roll to the castle so would be filled with international tourists normally, but they've clearly made efforts to attract local clients, hotel was busy. Its definitely not a family friendly hotel, or more accurately wasn't designed as one. If they want to continue with domestic market I would suggest more options like a playground, area for families to have a drink, lower sinks and hand driers, more child friendly pool facilities... However, what they lacked in facilities for their new mini clientele, they absolutely made up for in staff attitude. They were so friendly and the kids were made feel very welcome. I was really, really impressed with all of their staff to be honest and we spoke with a few of them. There were some covid caused issues around timetabling etc, but a chat with any of the staff usually ironed out any problems on the ground. Cannot stress enough how impressed I was with the staff, they made the break.

"Relaxing weekend break"

User 28/08/2020

Myself and husband stayed two nights and were not disappointed. From the second we arrived we were met with friendliness and care. Staff were unreal nice. Especially two young girls in the spa Kaitlyn and cara made our very first massage very relaxing as I never had one before put me straight at ease. Breakfast staff also were amazing . Dinner and breakfast were fast servings and was very tasty.cant fault anything .rooms were perfect also. Cant wait to come back again.

"Excellent Stay"

ShaunaM25, Ireland 27/08/2020

We stayed here recently for one night, while check in at 4pm is quite late we didn't mind as we had a lunch booking in a nearby establishment. We arrived at 4pm for check in and got sorted fairly quickly as we had prepaid and prebooked all out meals via email beforehand. The temperature checks and sanitizer at the door were very good. The room itself was lovely, the bed was comfortable and there was no aspect of the room that I could fault. Everything that we needed was there. We ate dinner in the restaurant that night, the staff were so friendly and efficient. The food itself was excellent, nice portions and it was delicious. We also had breakfast prebooked, this again was excellent. It is a bit of a chore having to ask for everything, however, the staff are very visible and more the happy to help. Overall we had a great stay here and would defiantly stay again and recommend to people.

"Grand hotel, Mamie was the high point!"

User 25/08/2020

Stayed for one night on a trip to West Cork. We checked in just before 2:00. Our room wasn't ready, but we were going to the folk park for the afternoon, so it wasn't a problem. On arrival back at 4:15, our room still wasn't ready. I said we would go into the bar and have a drink while it was sorted and I didn't expect to be billed for the drink! In fairness, that's what happened without any fuss. It was over an hour before our room got sorted. As we were sitting wet as it was raining all day, my wife was getting a bit distressed as our son was wet and exhausted... In step's Mamie! What a beautiful warm person. She sorted out our room, but more than that, we went off to our room all smiling. Its hard to put into words, but she saved the day. Thank you Mamie!

"Would definitely recommend"

User 24/08/2020

Had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. The staff are brilliant with Mary in the restaurant being the standout. Pool is great too and i prefer the reserve your timeslot system. Slight improvement would be a bigger menu and sanitizer on each floor and lifts. The temperature checks are not enforced either. Wouldn't put me off coming back though.

"Christening "

sarahmolly, Dublin, Ireland 23/08/2020

We had a christening booked here for 22nd of August . However due to government guidelines we couldn't go ahead with it so had a small family gathering instead . The staff here more than went above and beyond to ensure our small man had the best day ever . All staff were wonderful but very special mention to Mary and Alice who served us . Mary even looked after baby so mommy could eat her dinner !! Megan And Marion who also went above and beyond and showed genuine kindness which is rare these days . I cannot thank you enough ladies .

"Amazing staycation"

880annel46, Dublin, Ireland 18/08/2020

This hotel is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at friendly staff Nothing was too much to ask Breakfast lovely Very clean and up to date Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff In a wonderful setting with the castle only 2 minute walk

"Lovely staycation"

Catherine G, Cork, Ireland 16/08/2020

Stayed in hotel for 4 nights, originally was suppose to be only 3. I found the hotel to be spotless and absolutely fantastic staff. The breakfast was gorgeous, maybe a bit slow coming out but to be fair in this current situation and staff having to serve every table maybe this is the new normal. There was Temp check on way in and sanitisers all over the place. Staff were continously cleaning areas down. Rooms are bit dated but were spotless. The ladies that we spoke too in reception were fabulous. Lovely friendly faces. I will stay here again. Keep up the good work everyone. Regards Catherine and Peter

"Great visit, but bad attitude from some staff"

User 12/08/2020

We had a mainly lovely visit to Bunratty castle hotel with a couple of downsides. None of the staff were wearing masks, even after the Monday that stated all people in public areas had to wear masks. Without their masks in the restaurant they were reaching over us and placing our food on the table which I was really uncomfortable with. When we got breakfast on the first day, the waitress was quite rude to my partner and I, which was very off-putting. This type of service would make me not want to return. The next day however we had a different server and she was much better so it wasn't a problem or anything, but I would expect better manners from staff, especially with everything that is going on at the moment. Our first room had broken air-con and we were moved to another room and the receptionist was really helpful with this.

Megan Roberts, Marketing at Bunratty Castle Hotel, BW Signature Collection, responded to this review
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time review your recent stay at The Bunratty Castle Hotel, detailed feedback such as your own goes along way to improve the future guest experience. I am disappointed to hear that you found one of our members of staff rude as normally our guests remark how friendly and helpful our staff our. In the beginning, we had strict measurements in place so that our guests felt safe from COVID-19 but still wanted to make the hotel stay as normal as possible by our staff not wearing masks and keeping back from guests and food. We have since reviewed this and now all our staff wear masks. I apologise that you had felt uncomfortable. We hope that we may have the opportunity to welcome you to The Bunratty Castle Hotel in the near future. Kind Regards, The Customer Service Team

"Disappointed. Not worth your hard earned money. "

loulougalway, Galway, Ireland 06/08/2020

I'll start off by saying I understand that staff are under pressure due to Covid 19 restrictions. I completely understand that. I took a trip around Ireland to try and spend money on the Irish hospitality industry. The hotel appears to be very well set up for safety during Covid 19 restrictions. Thermometer check upon arrival which is very reassuring, a sanitisation sign on the room door, very clean rooms etc. The room I stayed in was a lovely size and the bed was very very comfortable. Shower facilities were also really great. However unfortunately; there were a couple of issues with my stay at Bunratty Hotel. When you are paying guests paying FULL prices you would expect to get a full standard service. We arrived earlier than the actual check in time. I arrived about an hour beforehand, the lady at reception was lovely and had our room ready. In a lot of places you stay now, you need to book breakfast times. Already (an hour before check in) a lot of the times for breakfast were already booked up. We accepted 7.30am, either that or no breakfast at all. I also enquired about the leisure centre. That was already fully booked for the day. How disappointing. No spaces for a swim in the pool at all. This has happened at most hotels on my trip. It's extremely frustrating. I was so disappointed I called the spa and practically begged and pleaded to be allowed use the pool. A lovely lady who worked there let me in for a half an hour, and I was very very grateful. They only allow 8 guests in the pool at one time. Also the jacuzzi facilities were not working/not in use the day I went for a swim. Someone may say, why didn't you call ahead to book breakfast and your time at the pool. Well I did, the week before however the woman on the phone told me it wasn't possible and that I could only book these things the day you arrive. We tried calling a few places to eat that night but unfortunately they were already booked up. We booked to have dinner in Fibber Magees restaurant in the hotel. Due to Covid restrictions the restaurant is very very bare. It doesn't resemble a restaurant experience at all. The waiting staff are very courteous and pleasant, very friendly too; however someone along the chain of command isn't listening. I ordered food without sauce it still came with everything on it, the same way it was displayed on the menu. We were nearly finished starters before the drinks came and we had to ask for salt, pepper, cutlery. Again there was an issue with our main course. A mistake had been made in the kitchen. If you need anything extra you need to ask and ask and ask. Ask for dessert menu, wait 20 mins for a menu, more time for the order to be taken and the duration of lent for it to be served. The food is grand... Ask and wait another 15 minutes to pay. And ask again. We eventually got the bill but our meal was not in a million years worth €100. Plus the service was disastrous. I'll repeat not an enjoyable holiday restaurant experience at all. It's harsh but it feels like you're eating dinner in an empty town hall. The hotel appears to be fully booked up but unable to deal with the demand of hotel guests. I was looking forward to staying in some really great hotels (this being one of them) during my staycation but it appears that a lot of hotels around Ireland can not cope with Covid-19 restrictions and guests expectations. I am a very understanding person but unfortunately when you pay hard earned money for a holiday experience you expect quality. I was very disappointed overall with my experience at this hotel. I doubt I'll return. I feel like the hospitality industry is really struggling to cope post Covid19.

"Car vandalised over night in hotel carpark "

115foodie, Galway, Ireland 06/08/2020

Just back from a one night stay..we had an ‘executive' room on the 4th floor. Checked in by a friendly girl on reception. Went to our room which had a sanitised sign on the door however there was a half drunk bottle of water in the bathroom....very basic accommodation but the staff were friendly, particularly a lovely bubbly lady in the bar, wish I had got her name because she was so warm and hard working. Our car was vandalised in the car park overnight. The cameras in the car park don't work so unfortunately we left feeling very hard done by. The duty manager did call us but didn't offer any solutions unfortunately.

"Amazing "

User 04/08/2020

Stayed in this hotel recently couldn't recommend it highly enough, everything from the rooms to the Spa and leisure facilities.... me and my partner had a few treatments in the spa and the staff were so friendly and professional there, Pamela in particular went above and beyond, we will definitely be back

"Huge thumbs up for this hotel"

marianleesconway, Tipperary, Ireland 03/08/2020

My husband and I had an overnight stay on sunday the 2nd of August. While we were nervous about covid I felt that everthing was so professional and we didnt feel restricted in anyway. We had our dinner in the bar and the food was amazing. The staff were fantastic attending to our every need. We really felt looked after. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip. It was honestly one of the best we've ever had. We will will definitely be back!

"A Interesting excursion within covid regulations "

ddocsemaj, Dublin, Ireland 03/08/2020

A great hotel with friendly staff - not the normal weekend with covid regulations restricting dancing and toast but all round a great location to base yourself during a long weekend in Clare. In the shadow of the famous castle and Folk Park with a number of gastro pubs in you're doorstep- moments from the main limerick Galway road and a stones throw from Shannon. Friendly staff, delicious food in a well maintained and clear building created the right atmosphere for the weekend - will be back

"Post lockdown family break"

778barried, Saggart, Ireland 27/07/2020

Our second visit here. Great location and staff very friendly and attentive. Leisure centre/pool is great. Food good - not a spectacular menu but well cooked and family orientated. Exterior of hotel needs sprucing up and the rear views of the roof are not appealing! The rooms are quite dated and we had a problem with our kids room. The air conditioning unit had been leaking and the carpet was damp. We reported it and maintenance came and told us what the problem was but we were not offered a change of room nor did they even follow up with a dehumidifier or anything. The smell became worse over our stay and it was disappointing. The service for breakfast and the one dinner we had was not up to scratch. My wife had to wait 35 minutes for poached eggs and mushrooms one morning and 3 pancakes took 25 mins another. The problem seems to be in the kitchen as dinner took an eternity to arrive too. All of this sounds harsh and allowances have to be made for the current climate. The covid precautions were excellent and we felt safe. The staff are excellent and hopefully when this situation improves the issues above will resolve themselves. Our first stay here 3 years ago was excellent and I've no doubt our next stay will be too.

"Poor service didn't meet expectation"

User 26/07/2020

On arrival to the hotel the check in staff member didn't even smile at us we were the only two checking in at that time. I asked the receptionist if we could order room service and also tried asking questions about the area said that they don't do room service any longer with Covid, I also asked about food in the bar and she told me that there is no good available and didn't say anything else to us other than where our rooms were located. As a first impression I didn't feel that welcome. We dropped our bags up and left the hotel to find a local takeaway place. When I asked reception the following morning if we can collect the breakfast and bring it to our rooms she said we would need to come downstairs and discuss it with the breakfast manger. I then asked if she could just ask for us as we would miss our breakfast slot for 8.30am if we weren't allowed to bring it up as both of us would need to go down not just one of us. I gave this feedback to the receptionist that I found them to be very unhelpful to guests she did apologise which I appreciate. I would not visit here again based on the culture of the organisation there seems to be a huge gap in there customer service to guests I don't go to nice hotels based on location I go to that hotel based on the service I receive if it's poor I generally don't ever go back again. My advice would be that there is a training gap in the front of house where customer service is concerned there is so much opportunity for the business to implement good practices here.

Myself, my husband and our two children had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Our temperature was taken on entering and the whole place was spotless. The room we had was spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant is very good. The staff are extremely professional. The highlight was the amazing breakfast - the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Wonderful friendly staff that were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed at the hotel 18/7/20, the room was very warm , the air conditioning unit, while blowing air was not cool air, just warm, we rang reception and they said they would turn it on for our room, we waited over half an hour , it still didn't work , we rang down Again and the man said he had turned it on “again” and to give it 5 minutes, it still didn't work, we rang down again but they wouldn't believe me that it wasn't working and offered to send up an “engineer”, this was at approx 12 midnight, we were in bed by this time , I asked them to bring up a fan which they did, we got no sleep between the very warm room and the noise of the fan, there were other hotels locally at half the price but we opted for Bunratty castle house hotel as they advertised air conditioning, the restaurant was fully booked so we had a some drinks and a meal to the room during the evening which was good, costing €128.50, the chap that brought it up was professional and friendly, I had no problem paying for that as it was supplied as ordered , what bothers me is that you cannot advertise a room with airconditioning, take the customers Money and not supply it , I expected the hotel to waive the cost of the room but they were having none of it, it was nothing to do with the money but a lot to do with the principle, I spoke with the duty manager Sarah but although she was pleasant I found her response quite condescending , I am mechanically minded and understand how hotel air con works, they wouldn't accept that it didn't work , I asked the duty manager sarah the next morning would she like to come up and I would show her, she said she couldn't as she would have to get “tooled up because of the covid “ and anyway she wasn't allowed into the rooms, even tho room service were, with no gloves or mask on , I will not be leaving It at this I can assure you, I have been charged €149.00 for something that didn't deliver what they said they would deliver, total cost for a sleepless stressful night But with good food and drink for 2 €277.50

"Overall a good stay"

ShaunaF121, Swords, Ireland 12/07/2020

We travelled Ireland for a few nights and Bunratty Castle was one of the hotels we stayed in. We arrived to bunratty castle early on a Wednesday and were greeted by a very pleasant member of staff who helped us with any queries we had. We were very happy to be told our room was upgraded as it was our anniversary. When we entered the room we were happy with what was presented. Although there were marks on the wall we turned a blind eye to it as we didnt see it as a big issue. There was a huge size bed but didnt feel like an executive room although we were grateful with the upgrade. We left to go sightseeing around the town shortly after the arrival. Bunratty castle park nearby is a great place to visit. About a 2 hour long tour and would definitely recommend for kids and adults. We came back in the evening to get changed for dinner and went downstairs and asked reception where the restaurant was which we were directed to. When we walked in it was most obviously the bar and the restaurant wasnt open. It was empty and had no music - the atmosphere was dead. So we got a drink there and then went across the road to dirty nellys which i would highly recommend for food! When we came back we went to open a window and there were spiders along the top it so we left it. We went to open the other window and the windowsill was covered in moss and bird poo. It was obvious it had not been cleaned. So we went to reception to complain along with the marks on the wall. Megan the receptionist was very understanding and very helpful. We were then upgraded to the presidential suite which was very clean and spacious and the staff also came down to help us move our cases. We had a great nights sleep in a very comfy bed and there was no noise which is always good. Out of everywhere we stayed for the few nights the breakfast in bunratty castle hotel was by far the best. We got a full irish and it was a very generous serving. The manager also came over to apologise for the previous night which was very appreciated. She explained that the room may not have been checked fully before we went in and i think with covid and hotels being shut, this is fair explanation. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff along with the breakfast I think made up for any issues we had and I do have to thank for them for that. Overall it was a good stay at Bunratty Castle hotel and the area has alot in it to do.

"A beautiful hotel near a fantastic castle"

Michael M, Alpine, California 13/03/2020

This is the fourth time that we have stayed at this hotel. We keep coming back, because they work hard to make sure that everything is what you expect. Great service and nice people. The dinner and bar were very nice.

"Stayed again, gets better every time."

User 02/03/2020

It's over 300 miles of driving and a 4 hour ferry crossing for us to get to Bunratty from Somerset BUT worth every minute & every mile for the welcome we get at the Castle Hotel. The reception staff, the manager, the bar staff, the waiters , the cleaners, everyone make us most welcome. It really is a case of eat, drink and be merry!! It is important for me to say that we are not 'favoured' customers, from what I have seen everyone gets the same treatment ant that is how it should be. We look forward to our next visit, booked in already for the Galway Summer Racing festival at Galway.

Last Saturday I visited Bunratty Castle Hotel and Spa for a full body massage including an Indian head massage. When I tell you I felt like I was walking on air afterwards is an understatement. I was a little apprehensive when I found out the spa was under new management I was a little apprehensive but I need not have feared. Pamela the new spa manager is absolutely amazing and put me right at ease. She was so professional and explained everything she was doing. I fell asleep half way throughout the treatment which was badly needed. Oh the Indian head massage was superb I actually want one every week.i slept like an baby all night that night afterwards. I would highly recommend the new spa and Pamela at Bunratty castle certainly won't be disappointed. I will be back..thank you Pamela and Bunratty castle hotel. "Tragic Spa Experience"

User 15/02/2020

What came as highly recommended, ended up being utterly disappointing!! Our welcome was pleasant, mostly because we were chatty. We did think it unusual that we had to pay before our treatments but we went on. The treatment room was damp cold. My therapist apologised & asked did I want a different room. I was moved to another room, no music, cleanliness not high on the agenda & temperature was tepid. My treatment was satisfactory & my therapist very nice. After my treatment we moved to the relaxation room, a tad warmer but we were rushed out of here by two staff members after 15mins. Nobody to bid us goodbye & I will never be back. What a horrid excuse of a Spa. I expect to be battling double pneumonia in the morning. Don't Go To Bunratty Hotel Spa

Thank you for your review ailsfitzsimons. I am very sorry to hear about your negative experience in the Angsana Spa. I am utterly shocked and horrified to hear about your experience. At the moment although no excuse, our Spa Manager is recruiting new staff members and changing the strategy of the spa along with treatments. If possible, could you please email to investigate this matter further and we can aim to rectify this problem for you. Again, I do apologise and I am extremely disappointed to hear about your experience. I hope to welcome you back to Bunratty Castle Hotel to restore your faith in the Angsana Spa. Warmest Regards, The Customer Service Team.

"Brilliant At Bunratty !!!"

Karen S, Newtownards, United Kingdom 13/02/2020

We are just back from a fantastic stay with Canadian family at the hotel. The place is really well maintained throughout, and our room was very clean and comfortable. We ordered room service on the first night of our stay ... service was prompt, the Fibber Magee burgers and chunky chips were delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was great too ... with lots of choice in the lovely surroundings of the library. The biggest asset to the hotel is the staff ... they were all very friendly, polite and helpful. We must give a special mention to Michaela on reception who went over and above to make sure our stay was memorable and dealt with our requirements professionally and always with a beautiful smile. We will definitely be back and are already planning our next trip. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!!

We have been staying in the hotel at least once a year since 2013. The way we were treated on our first stay left a lasting impression. We look forward to every stay. Last weekend the staff were lovely, the breakfast was plentiful and the bedroom was cosy. Our main reason for returning every time is the Angsana Spa. It is the best spa we have ever visited. A work colleague bought her family members vouchers for the spa as Christmas presents because I was raving so much about it. Unfortunately this time due to a lack of communication from one or two members of staff, we missed out on our treatments that we always book and the relaxing time afterwards in the relaxation room. This was very disappointing. We instead booked treatments in a prominent hotel in Limerick and had an absolutely awful experience. It reinforced our opinion about how outstanding Angsana Spa truly is. Already looking forward to our next visit later in the year.

Thank you for your review. I am delighted to hear about your positive feedback in general but I do apologise profusely about the miscommunication between members of staff. At the moment, Angsana Spa is undergoing renovations due to demand and growth, and there are a number of new recruits to the team, so I assume this is the main reason for miscommunication, unfortunately. Of course, there is no excuse but there is a valid explanation for this no doubt. If you wish to discuss this matter further with management, do not hesitate to email We hope to welcome you back in the near future. Kindest Regards, The Customer Service Team.

"Amazing Wedding Venue"

aisharney, County Limerick, Ireland 02/02/2020

We were married in September 2019 and held our reception in the Bunratty Castle Hotel and couldn't have asked for a better day. Marian and the staff at the hotel put us completely at ease and no ask was too big. Marian went out of her way to help us plan the perfect day and thought of every little detail. Lee, the Chef, prepared a beautiful menu for the meal and was even able to accommodate a surprise last minute dietary requirement for a guest. The Venue is stunning and they made the reception room more beautiful than I could have hoped. The bridal suite was a wonderful place to unwind after a long day and the staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and happy. It was the perfect day and we are so grateful for all the hard work of the staff in this gorgeous hotel. Thank you so much Bunratty Castle hotel for our wonderful memories!

"Perfect for a weekend away "

ConnollyF, Galway, Ireland 27/01/2020

Lovely hotel, reception is welcoming and modern. Very comfortable bed! It is literally a stones throw from the castle and lots of great places to eat and drink which makes it very easy for a weekend break. The leisure facilities are worth a visit also, well designed and feels luxurious. Would happily visit again and worth the price.

Want to thank Lee, the Chef, and Mary the Waitress for the most amazing dinning experience in the Bunratty Castle Hotel. The food was fantastic. From start to finish. Mary was so nice and so accommodating, nothing was too much for her. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be going back!

Stayed here with my wife after New years. Great Hotel really nice atmosphere in reception and nice staff on reception, very welcoming. Had dinner in bar with the Mrs, nice bar, kind of small but it wasn't too busy, katlyn and Dave behind the bar are a credit to the place. Didn't get to try the spa or pool but I Def will when I come back!

We stayed for 2 nights. A family break after the Xmas. The hotel was spotless clean, the staff are second to none, so friendly, could not do enough. Unfournately fire alarm was set off which was a bit of a fright, but complimemts to the Man in charge, he was excellent in his manner and his profesionalism. Leisure centre was lovely and also availed of a facial in the beauty rooms again excellent and staff lovely. My highest regards to this hotels staff.

"Weekend break"

gohomeGalway, GALWAY 05/01/2020

Just back from a fab weekend in this hotel - had just booked one night but enjoyed it so much that we stayed on a second night. Room was lovely and spacious and so warm. Loved sitting in the lobby with delicious food from the bar and drinks. Again so warm and comfortable. Loved to pool and the proximity to limerick is a bonus. Our 3rd time staying here in recent years.
