The Best Western Hotel Rallye is situated in the center of Bulle, in the heart of the Gruyere region. It features a restaurant with a terrace, a cafe, and offers a rich buffet breakfast. All rooms at the Best Western Hotel Rallye are equipped with a satellite television, a mini-bar and coffee/tea making facilities. The restaurant Paris-Bangkok serves fine French and Thai cuisine. You can park your car for free in the parking lot or in the garage for an additional fee. A city tax of 2. 75 CHF per person per day is not included in the rate and is to be paid directly at the hotel.
After a walk of about 1km from the train station, I arrived at the hotel. Check-in was efficient. I booked an "executive rooms". These are on the first floor on the next building (accessible though an internal footbridge). Some are giving on the street (it was the case on that last stay), some on the restaurant (the latter are nicer as they have a little balcony). Basic amenities were available in the bathroom, and the bed allowed me to have a good night sleep. Breakfast was decent, with a Nespresso machine for coffee lovers. All in all, this hotel is practical and remains one of my choices when going to Bulle. But don't expect anything special.
This hotel is standard of best western chain but only something they might need to do is change pillows they all very soft hard to sleep , it's good the room is big so can fit our luggages because we came to this town to send our daughter study so we do not know much hotel around then since it's small town The food is good Japanese Sushi ,they have Thai food too but I think it's too sweet since we are from Thailand so the food not taste according to us but anyway we enjoy Sushi more And one of the best in this hotel is friendly face from reception this girl do almost everything from my view we see her in f&b too and always willing to help guest ! I think if next time we are back to this hotel just because of Friendly Anderea The receptionists thank u for always understanding because we cannot speak French! We went again after 2 years and this time and they treat us good very friendly and beacause of Miss Edline she provided so nice for us
Although the Covid situation, we visited Bulle for urgent family reasons. Bulle is a big town that is very nice and near to many places to visit and see. We stayed in the Best Western Hotel Rallye and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and has all the ameneties that are needed (wifi is super!). There is alot of attention regarding Covid and we felt safe. The staff was super friendly and helpful in any way you could imagine. There is a Thai restaurant in the hotel that makes very good food. The Hotel is very near to the historic center of Bulle, and also near the shopping center. We stayed 4 days but definitly if we ever go back we will chose the Rallye. We give 100 on 100.
The hotel has seen its best times several decades ago. It is not expensive and not cheap. If you come in Covid time and would like to dine in their restaurant, it is better to book a table in advance. I would not recommend to take wok, if you do not like spicy food. Pad Thai is good but relatively expensive. If you like Thai food, my recommendation would be to order take away food from the restaurant on the opposite side of the road. If you wish a better view, ask room 53 or 41 and you get mountain view. Our friends asked to change the room at the reception and it was changed. Our room had a small fridge. If you need a supermarket, Migros is just 200 meters away. You can buy something for breakfast there. The breakfast at the hotel is a bit expensive - 18chd per person and not included in the room price. We had a double room but only one set of towels. My wife informed the personnel but we did not get the towels. Our room was not cleaned on Saturday. When we arrived, we found a dried cockroach in our bed... A kettle was not working.
We arrived for 1 night at the end of February 2020. We booked the executive rooms. Upon arrival, the receptionist told us that we have free breakfast. We arrived at the restaurant the morning after, ate the cheap, lame and minimal continental breakfast only because it was included, and then upon checkout the rude reception manager “Marie” demanded that we pay 21CHF pp for this horrible breakfast. The rude Marie spoke to us in such rudeness, we couldn't believe we were in Switzerland, a land celebrated for its good service. Would recommend never to go to this hotel, which is old and overpriced.
I was supposed to stay at the the hotel for 2 nights and I had to cancel cause I couldn't come to Switzerland. I called the hotel the day before my reservation to avoid cancellation fee and the receptionist made me paid cause they waited the morning after which was the day of my reservation to call me and make me pay for one night. I'm more than upset since I'm working in hospitality and never saw something like it. This hotel should be manage better and the staff should know their rules and regulations. I'm never gonna book this hotel again.
Arrived at 1330 staff was ok. Opted for the big rooms with aircon. Executive rooms are quite big but still very simple. Beds are good. Shower is ok. Breakfast is soso. Alot of parkingplaces around the hotel. Unguarded. Aircon broke down at night. Staff gave a decution on price due to this, which was very nice. Still €177 a night plus breakfast.
Stayed for a night and ate at the restaurant. The front desk service was excellent and Eric the team leader in the restaurant was always smiling and very enthusiastic. The room are very roomy and clean.
My wife and I received a gift card to spend a night in this hotel. When I called to book a room they told me to call back in 5 min, 2nd time I called they told me again to call back in 30 min... Finally they've reached out to me and I said that I want to book executive room on desired date. Response was yes, you can book, we have several available (7 to be precise, which I checked prior to calling them). The moment I said I will use a gift card they said: "You can't book it on that day, this is only for people that pay. I replied: "What do you mean for people that pay, for gift card you pay as well" then receptionist responded: "You can only use Friday and Sunday" otherwise you have to pay... The gift card terms were you may book all year long when the room is available. After going through several emails I couldn't come to agreement with them since they didn"t want to comply with gift card terms and were inventing reasons not to book us a room on desired date. I've never expirienced such a bad customer service. For the hotel itself I can't give a review since we decided not to visit it due to reasons above mentioned.

The hotel is looks a bit dodgy on the outside but once you get through the small reception area and into the new wing of rooms, the hotel was quite nice. Rooms very large for Europe and bathroom decent size. Nespresso machine and minibar in room were good. The location is excellent, right near the downtown and migrolino if you need a snack or drink late at night or Sunday. The breakfast was an extra charge and looked terrible. We ate at Migros restaurant across the street which was very nice. No extra charge for dog which was super!
Room was good, standard for a Best Western. My 2 star review comes from the poor customer service. At check in, I was advised that breakfast was included and served 6:30-9:30ish. Now, I can understand potentially that there may have been a language barrier as this Best Western does not include free breakfast, unlike most other BWs. Upon checkout, I was advised that I owed 108CHF, which was 18CHF per person per day. How come there wasn't a bill presented to me each morning? This rate was for a hot breakfast according to their hotel website, but the breakfast wasn't hot. When I phoned the corporate department, they reached out to the hotel and after 5 business days, no response because they couldn't be bothered to respond to head office. What did I get? 50% back in the form of future travel, which means I have to pay BW more money. As a diamond select member and platinum Marriott member, this is just awful customer service. I don't think I'll ever stay at a Best Western again if I have any other choice. The hotel itself was good. Good location, 5 min walk from the train station.
I had one of the executive rooms : rather spacious, nespresso machine, and a nice bathroom. The bed was a bit on the soft side to my opinion however. Breakfast was relatively simple, but offers everything you need.
The location of the hotel is good, close to the city center. We had one standard room and one executive room for 2 nights from Friday till Sunday. The standard room was very small, however very clean. The mattress was a bit « worn with use » and should have been changed a while ago. As there is a disco in the basement of this part of the hotel, it can be very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights till sometimes 4.00am, especially if you stay at one of the lower floors. The 2 nights we stayed, there were loud discussions outside on the hotel parking between drunk guests of the disco. So, if you want to stay there over the week-end, I highly recommend to spend a bit more money and book a larger Executive Room, as they are in a quiter part of the hotel. The hotel has enough car parkings outside. The breakfast buffet is ok.
This is not a WOW hotel but is very comfortable with all decent rooms. Coffee in the room was CHF2 which we thought a little extortionate, but you don't have to have it, and we didn't!! We ate out as we went to visit Fribourg in the evening so have no comments regarding food.
We stayed here for our holidays in the Gruyere region for 2 nights. We had 2 rooms and both were very spacious and overall very clean. I wish we had requested a double-bed, but otherwise can't complaint. Staff was very helpful from check-in to check-out. Breakfast has many options, including variety of cheese, cereals, juices etc. there is also parking at the facility, which is very good. Location of hotel is good as well, as it is next to the old town
We had a one-night stay in Bulle and it was one of the nicest surprises of our trip. What a cute little town and the best chocolate factory tour ever! Make sure you visit the Callier factory while you are there - the tour is only 12 francs and you get to try as much chocolate as you want at the end. It's a real life Willy Wonka experience. There is also a Chateau just out of town that is worth a visit. Unfortunately we were too late to enter the castle but the little village surrounding it was lovely. The hotel is in the centre of town and the rooms and service were great. It has free parking and a nice restaurant attached.
I have stayed at this hotel for two weeks spring and autumn over the last few years and always found it excellent The staff have consistently maintained their high standard each and every time I have stayed there I book one of the larger rooms with a desk by a window as I need to do work in my room and this is ideal for me The hotel is spotless, comfortable, well equipped and ideally located just ten minutes from the railway station The staff are outstanding and nothing is too much trouble They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable A very highly recommended hotel
This hotel makes you feel like home! From the warm welcome, the fantastic food and drink choices, the OUTSTANDING staff, to the cozy rooms, it is all simply the BEST! The Manager, Adeline and the Assistant Manager, Toby have gone out of their way to ensure our group has nothing but the absolute best service! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I won't stay anywhere else in the Bulle area.
I was in Bulle for business over a two-week period and stayed at the Best Western Hotel Rallye twice during that time. The location was within walking distance of my customer and of the train station. The hotel rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The service was very good (I was allowed to checkin 2 hours early). The restaurant was excellent. Good value for money.
We were made very welcome upon our arrival. Checked-in, headed up to our room and crancked the A/C on. We had dinner out on the terrace. The food was very tasty and the service quite good. Occassionaly some language barrier but the staff were very patient and happy to refine their English. Sleepin that night was impossible. As lovely as the room was it was super stuffy and hot, the A/C wasn't working. Not what you expect or want when paying for an executive room. Breakfast was ok. The usual cereals, bacon & eggs, cheese, meats and breads, but no toaster which was really disappointig especially in such a hotel. Downstairs was really hot and stuffy in the morning too, so we sat out on the terrace. The actual breakfast room only has seating for about 8 people, the rest have to sit out in the retaurant. We also had to ask for plate a there wasn't any in the breakfast room. With a few minor changes (working A/C and a toaster at breakfast) it would be close to full marks.
Nice hotel and friendly, english speaking staff. If you want air condition please book a superior room. Great breakfast with the regions speciality, creme double! Also the hotel restaurant was great and had a nice selection, even though a little expensive, but that is Switzerland!
Close to the highway A12, on the way to Lausanne from Bern, good parking facility, nice town to have a walk in the evening, clean rooms, quality French/Thai restaurant, very good continental breakfast.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. During the first night I had a problem with my matress which seemed to be disformed. I informed the friendly housekeeper about my problem the next morning. She answered she would take care of it and in the evening I have got a brand new matress. The hotel is quiet and breakfast is a good value. I am pleased with my stay.
I have stayed at this hotel several times on business over the past few years, each time for a couple of weeks and have just been back again this month They have continued to maintain their exceptionally high standard It is by far the very best hotel in the area having stayed at others close by. It never disappoints. Spacious well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms with mini bar fridge, hairdryer and good size en suite shower. Plenty of robe hanging space and drawers Desk for working in your room Free wi fi of a good standard Good location only ten minutes walk from the rail station. The staff go out of their way to make your stay as good as they can. Nothing is too much trouble. Ideal for business or leisure travellers.
Hotel is located at 10 minutes walking distance from the train station. We have been well looked after. The employees are very nice. Internet wifi is free of charge with high speed. They have also a good Thai fusion restaurant that you must definitely try. Breakfast was correct. I will return again.
Friendly welcome and check-in, comfortable, quiet room, great night's sleep. All you could ask for at this price point. Car park looked full on an early March Saturday, so recommend booking ahead. Also restaurant had no available tables so again, reserve ahead. Would come back.
We booked this last minute thinking the hotel is nearer to Gruyere and when first driving up to it thought oh no. But the room was perfect really spacious and modern and when we asked for a top with a balcony it was not a problem at all. The restaurant serves really tasty good food and is a mixture of Thai and French giving a really good alternative to the usual fondue you find in town - which USA short walk away. The place does not seem like much but oh boy the restaurant evening meals are good the staff and their service spot on! We complaint about a delay in service the first night and they went out of their way to make up for it. A very small team of people working very hard together and trying to make a difference to what would be classed as a business hotel. A good place to stay when you do not mind walking to driving to the nearby resorts such as the cable cars of moleson and the old town Gruyere.
I have to stay in Bulle two to three times a year and I have stayed in four different hotels and this is my favourite It is at the end of the high street but would need a taxi from station if you had a lot of bags It's about 10 minutes from station and a nice walk This time I was placed in an executive room which was a nice spacious room and could work there with WiFi and great wet room walk in shower The hotel has an Asian restaurant which is popular by the people I see in it but I have not used Breakfast is extra 18 and is a full buffet with good range but only hot boiled eggs provided no other hot food Will use again if I have the choice
As a business hotel this has all you need. The only minor negative point is that the lift is tiny and if you stay in certain rooms you need to cross to the extension and it is a bit of a walk. Good size, comfortable rooms and very pleasant staff. If you do not get breakfast included in the room rate then don't bother paying extra for it.

A good product with superb service. The front office staff were very helpful, both early, during the day and late. You notice right away if an establishment is properly managed. The service you get from the staff; either (1) you get staff that do only their "job" or (2) staff who are passionate about helping you. They even ship my lost & found heart rate monitor for free - WoW.
Nice cozy hotel with excellent facilities. Very neat hotel reflecting the Swiss tradition. The only complain was that there was no fan to cool the room when the weather was hot but learnt later that you could request for fan from the reception.
Pros: Nice hotel which left me a positive impression. Good position in the city. Clean. Room comfortable. Cons: Just a couple of things to say: Breakfast is wonderful, but too expensive (18 chf). A bottle of water in the room costs 6 chf. Although I understand it is a hotel and we were in Switzerland, 6 chf for a bottle of water was a little bit overpriced. Coke cost less than water (5 chf). The bathroom was very tiny.
This was my third visit on business to the Hotel Rallye I always look forward to staying there as everything is perfect! The staff are so friendly and attentive and all the facilities are of a very high standard Nothing is too much trouble In terms of making your stay a pleasant one This is a well run establishment that I cannot fault in any way They continue to maintain their very high standard Well done to all of you I cannot recommend this hotel more
We stayed in an executive suite, very tastefully designed, spacious, with everything you need. We had a room away from the road and it was very quiet. We would have welcomed a reading lamp over the bed and a larger writing table as there is plenty of space for one. The restaurant serves French and Thai food. We tried both and were delighted with the quality and service. The hotel is 10 minutes walk through the old town from the station. A very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. The pretty village Gruyère is less than 10 minutes away by train.
