"Excellent service especially the room service."

zoraz657, Montreal, Canada 07/09/2020

I have been there many times and the last time I was surprised how their room service has increased. The food was just amazing and their menu has changed, they added a new different plates and a new menu. The room was also clean and very confortable. I really recommend this Hotel. The location is near everything. Thanks for making my stay wonderful!

"Modern and spacious rooms"

Lou5stars, Brussels, Belgium 12/05/2020

The rooms are well organized. The decoration is intimate and the equipement is of high quality. The service is warm. Should Be putting clear anti-corona sanitary measures for the guests like a screen and sanitizer.

Merav Abergel, Revenue Management at Yooma , BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Lou5stars, Many thanks for your comment. When you came to our hotel, the equipment relating to COVID19 had been ordered for a long time. We had a problem with delivery times with suppliers. Since then, all of the protocols have been implemented and we are ready to welcome our customers with the best sanitary measures. We look forward to welcoming you again. Jean-Pierre, manager of Be Manos hotel.

"Fantastic hotel, amazing team!!!"

Amanda P, Northampton, United Kingdom 09/02/2020

From when we arrived to the moment we checked out, nothing was a problem at this great hotel! We chose here as it was close to the station but conveniently located close to the Forest National Stadium (we came to see Liam Gallagher!). The team in reception were particularly fabulous from recommending places to visit to booking taxis for us! The surrounding area is ok during the day but we wouldn't have ventured out in the dark!! Great breakfast too! Would definitely recommend! Thanks guys!! X

"Excellent Customer Service"

carmenater, London, United Kingdom 31/01/2020

I stayed here in December with my family for 3 nights. The hotel is modern and located walking distance from the train station. Breakfast was of a good standard and with plenty of variety. My husband unfortunately became very ill as he had food poisoning (not from the hotel). The staff were really helpful and accommodating given the situation, they had to find us alternate rooms and everything was done swiftly and without any issues. As a result, our stay was better than expected! Thanks very much to all the hotel staff that were so accommodating.

"Great hotel"

User 24/12/2019

We had the pleasure of staying at this nice and very comfortable hotel. The hotel is situated near the old city center, only a fifteen minute walk away from shops, lovely restaurants and interesting sites. The modern and trendy rooms are large, neat and very clean. Hotel staff is very friendly and cooperative. I can only recommend this great hotel to everyone who wants to visit Brussels.

"When trendy isn't trendy anymore "

Marky_Mark1969, Cambridge, England 19/11/2019

Stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. Was greeted by a friendly member of staff at check in but that's where the positive experience ended. First impressions was that the place hadn't been cleaned that day. The elevator carpet is was dirty and the corridors dark and dusted. Orange and black with dim lighting seemed to be the somewhat dated theme of the corridors. I'd been upgraded and was grateful for that but the room, like the corridors, looked like it hadn't been vacuumed that day. As it was for only 1 night, I decided to live with that but the worst thing about the room was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable and I hardly slept at all despite being super tired after my journey to Brussels. Overall a very poor stay and I will avoid this hotel again in the future as what may have been cool in the nineties isn't cool anymore.

"Would not stay again"

Liad H, Israel 16/11/2019

This hotel is def. Not a 5 star hotel. Not on my standards it's not. First and foremost, this hotel is NOT to be visited with friends, family members or with business partners. You must know that ALL rooms have a clear glass for a door at the bathroom. What is this? No door, no nothing. All clear and all for your room partner/s to see. No privacy at all. Even if you visit with your life partner, I guess privacy is not much to ask for. Other than this, breakfast is very poor in my opinion. Not to have fresh vegetables at a 5 star hotel? No. Soy milk? Forget it. Really really disappointing. The hotel is well cleaned, rooms are BIG in all standards and the staff is friendly, but this does not qualify a hotel a 5 star rating. Also this hotel is located in a very unfriendly neighburhood. Very dirty outside, and basically nothing to do around. Would not recommend to anyone. Stay somewhere else.

"Good Hotel near th City Centre, but...not confortable with DESK people, and Beds."

JohnnyTriunph, Bari 03/11/2019

Good Hotel, and confortable rooms, apart from dangerous Bed frames...there's the risk to hit hard corners at night with very much pain (it's all Black). I've found the ''Lady'' at Desk very annoied at any request made, even if after pushing a lot she did what asked...i think she was annoied to do her job ! People ''seems'' friendly...but i think is a Mask (not spontaneous).

"Breakfast not worth it"

olafbijlsma, Amsterdam, The Netherlands 30/10/2019

Rooms are good, breakfast isn't that good. No bread for 2 days. The coffee machine wasn't clean so we couldn't drink the coffee there. We expected more from the service. Next time we should have breakfast outside

"Hidden gem in Brussels"

"Gorgeous Hotel"

TheCorm, Billingshurst, United Kingdom 03/10/2019

Stayed for one night before catching the Eurostar the next day, Be Manos is ideally located for this, it's just a 10 minute walk. You can also walk to the city centre which takes about 15-20 minutes or get the Tram, nearest station is just a few minutes walk. Booked their lowest denominator room which is called Superior Double. It exceeded my expectations and felt anything but basic. It had a large bathroom with a very deep bath, separated toilet area, huge sink, bathrobes, nice towels, big sink and gorgeous real stone tiles. It had a separate sitting area with a big TV, sofa, chair, desk, mini bar (chargeable)....and bedroom with sliding doors between the two, high ceilings, blackout curtains. Also had a proper coffee pod machine, good amount of storage space. The decor in the rooms and all around the hotel is very modern and stylish, lighting is very subdued and subtle and they have quiet background music in the corridors. I like the design of the hotel with the water feature outside in the central bit, lift that has glass backing for natural light, great outside seating area near the restaurant. Breakfast offered a good continental selection with a few cooked items, above average I would say....Belgian's don't really do the massive cooked buffet affair like UK hotels. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay here again. I slept like a log, that's the most important thing :)

"BeManos - Brussels Trip"

User 23/09/2019

I stayed in BeManos Hotel in Brussels for 3 days in September. I have only good things to state about the hotel: spacious rooms, fully equipped, spot-clean, good amenities, daily room cleaning, fully equipped mini bar, good breakfast, good wi-fi. If there is one think missing, that would be a restaurant. However, the room service is available until late in the night and there is also a casual restaurant right next to the hotel. Staff was polite and helpful. I will certainly return here in my future visits to Brussels.

"Perfect "

Nikola V, Belgrade, Serbia 21/09/2019

Be Manos is next to the train station and 15 min by walking from the center town. Inside, the design is nice and old styling. Everything went well for one night. Bed, bathroom are spacious and comfortable. Wifi is working pretty good. The breakfast is various and good.

"Weekend away"

ShelbyB445, London, United Kingdom 03/09/2019

Fabulous hotel !! So lovely, triple room , decor was out of this world fantastic bathroom, fabulous bedroom and seating area. Free shuttle service from train station, great buffet breakfast, friendly staff and great service

"Dodgy location "

Zolelwa, East London, South Africa 12/08/2019

The hotel is not that bad but the location and neighborhood are definitely not the safest .Even the hotel receptionist confirmed this. We couldn't stay there as two females and had to go and book at another hotel.

User 31/07/2019

High standard rooms and service. Great to have the garage so close and well protected. The quality of the breakfast could improve a bit. Don't focus on the formality of choosing for the guests where to sit, focus on the quality of the food. We liked the hotel very much.

"2 night get away"

Jimmy L, Oxford 14/06/2019

Booked with British airways for a last minute break, Hotel not far from main station, you can walk 10 mins or get the metro for one station down the line Room was fantastic, comfy bed, mini bar, safe, shower was like water falling from heaven Breakfast was good, nothing special, but very adequate Reception staff very good, answered all questions on how and where to get to places of interest

"Friendly hotel close to midi station"

Wimsey, Toronto, Canada 06/06/2019

I have stayed several times at Be Manos. The hotel isn't in the best neighbourhood, but it is close to the Midi Station and a 20 minute walk to Grande Place. The rooms are modern, stylish, large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has the usual selection and is served in a bright airy room. The staff have always been very helpful when I have had requests, and the price is good considering other options in Brussels. It feels a bit like a home away from home.

"Be mania watch out"

User 30/05/2019

Shoes were stolen from the room with no explanation or ability to tell me where's they were said they didn't speak English no compensation no explanation on top of that we had to leave early morning night staff told us we would get a shuttle bus curtesy of hotel but alas no morning staff said not possible. No breakfast available night staff said it would be at 6.45am but no watch out liars and thieves.

Jean-Pierre M, Directeur général at Hotel Be Manos, BW Premier Collection, responded to this review
Dear Madam, Many thanks for responding to the survey. After a check with all the staff, we can assure you that no shoes were stolen in your room. We apologize for the shuttle misunderstanding, but it's on request only few minutes before. Best regards, Jean-Pierre

"Great 2 night stay"

gbmav, Earley, United Kingdom 22/05/2019

Booked a flight/hotel deal through British airways Hotel was really good Very close , 5 minutes walk from Midi station (Handy for Ghent or Bruges) 3 minute walk from Cantillon brewery 3 minute walk from Lemmonier metro station Brasserie next door Local area fine, felt safe walking around Hotel very nice, very clean and tidy, looks well maintained Reception staff polite and helpful and cheerful Room clean, well equipped, smart nespresso machine that made a great coffee Shower, bath with good rain style shower head Room very modern and trendy but very black, looks great but all lighting side light style so don't put anything black down on floor or you will never find it Safe in the wardrobe, mini bar, tv etc Breakfast room nice and modern and food good Cold buffet and a small hot section plus drinks and fresh juice Good choice and tasty In summary would visit again, it was 10-15 minutes to walk to mannequin pis then 5 minutes from there to grand place. Lots of restaurants and bars around there.

"Nice and upscale, but so-so neighborhood"

Sashazur, Salem, Oregon 22/05/2019

This hotel is clean, very well appointed and decorated in a contemporary style. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was pretty good. We had a very large, clean, comfortable and quiet room - but without much natural light since it faced a small courtyard. Our safe didn't work, so reception let us keep valuables in the hotel's safe instead. WiFi in our room was dismal - extremely slow with occasional random disconnects (even though signal strength was decent), and required re-logging in each time we returned. I only used it for uploading photos overnight. The hotel location is a little outside the central area, near the train station. It's on the fringes of a somewhat sketchy neighborhood; probably not a good place to walk around in late at night. There's a metro stop about a block away and it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. There are a few restaurants on the plaza just outside - we ate at BarBQ which was average and and Le Major which was very good; there's also a Moroccan place we didn't try. Overall I think this hotel was pretty good - but the WiFi needs to be improved, and some guests may be put off by the location... however if you prefer not to walk around the area, you can always get a taxi or Uber.

"Birhday Break over Easter Weekend"

Roger M, Hampshire, United Kingdom 23/04/2019

Our second stay at the Be Manos, a lovely hotel, excellent rooms and service. A particular thanks to our friendly barman, see you next time we hope. Breakfast was very busy and the staff did exceptionally well to keep all the plates spinning. Good location, only a 10 minute walk to the Square, with some great bars along the way. And only 5 minutes from the Midi Station - we travelled to Antwerp for the day, only 50 minutes if you get the fast train, spend the extra 1Euro and go 1st class.

"Fabulous Easter Weekend"

Pyffy, Rushden, United Kingdom 23/04/2019

We visited here over the Easter weekend 19-22nd April 2019 after a similar weekend trip last Easter. Having arrived into Brussels on the Eurostar at around 12.00pm we walked the short distance, in the heat of the day, to the hotel hoping to leave our bags in their luggage store as check in isn't officially until 3.00pm. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who remembered us from our visit last year. She had some good news for us as our room was ready and because we are Expedia gold members we qualified for an upgrade. We soon found ourselves in room 205, a lovely room facing the interior courtyard that has a water feature that bubbles merrily during the day helping to create a very relaxing background ambience. The room was like a junior suite, with a bedroom and sitting area that could be separated with a sliding door. The well appointed bathroom came off the bedroom with sliding smoked glass doors separating the two. The room was equipped with a safe, Nespresso coffee machine (inc 4 pods) and a mini bar fridge that had room to store some of our personal items. We were very happy with our accommodation and made use of the fridge to store some supermarket bought beers over the weekend. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast in their restaurant. Fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, cooked items, cold meats, cheeses, breads and pastries are all on offer as well as coffee, tea, fruit juices and bottled water. It would take an extremely picky eater to not find something scrumptious to eat for breakfast. The hotel offers room service but as we ate our other meals out we can't comment on their offerings. The hotel, as mentioned, is a very short easy walk away from Brussels Midi / Zuit from where you can access trains to all parts of Brussels as well as intercity trains to Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp should you wish to see more of Belgium than Brussels itself. There is a Metro station (Lemonier) just across the road that allows you to reach the centre of Brussels in minutes, should you wish, rather than taking the 15 minute walk. The area around Square de L'Aviation may on first appearance seem to be a little “sketchy” but at no time did we feel uncomfortable walking from town or the stations to the hotel even later in the evening. The one thing that really impressed us this trip was the way the friendly and professional staff went about their business. Every time we had need to interact with one of the members of staff we found them to be extremely courteous and all offered their informative advice with a smile. They all really are credit to themselves and the hotel. On checking our yesterday we bid our fair well to the receptionist who told us to come back again soon and you know what? We certainly plan to.

"One night business sleepover "

chrismC7799MZ, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom 17/04/2019

Hotel near city centre 30mins from airport. No one on reception to sign me in, Barman had to come over and check me in. Modern funky hotel trying very hard to be different but misses the basics today. Not serving dinner so suggest I go next door to a bistro Bedroom was as big and Exec grade with a mini bar. Room very dark (and trendy) watch you don't walk into glass doors Loud fountain outside my bedroom at back of hotel. Comfy bed and pillows thank you, breakfast was very good /have to say !

"Great hotel, great staff"

User 11/03/2019

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. I didn't think the breakfast was too great as it was a continental breakfast but you find the same in a lot of European hotels. But that aside, I can't complain. Will recommend.

"Great hotel - not the best location "

Langleyvale, Epsom, United Kingdom 26/02/2019

This is a lovely gem of a hotel very close to the Eurostar. The area is not the best but the hotel makes up for it. Advise you call for the hotel mini bus to collect you from station to avoid walking around the area. My room was big and lovely with great facilities and breakfast was fab. Staff are extremely friendly. It doesn't take long to get into town and getting Uber cabs was easy. I would recommend the hotel but if you are a lady travelling alone, may be pick a more central location.

"As wonderful as ever!"

GaryNWales, Bangor, United Kingdom 11/02/2019

I have been staying in the Be Manos hotel several times each year now for around 3 years. It is always amazingly warm and friendly, very conveniently located to the main station and Metro, and the room is very comfortable, with lots of space, both to relax, and to work! Breakfasts are truly wonderful, as is the warm accompanying service. Really hope that the hotel continues from strength to strength, and thank you.

angusbtp, Bishops Stortford 27/01/2019

Stayed at Hotel Manos for two nights 15th / 17th January and had a nice stay. I found the Hotel very difficult to find even although I had a printed map and used my smartphone. I also took direction from other Hotels and still got lost. The rooms are very large with a nice bathroom but the shower was over the bath, and as the bath side is quite have to be careful when getting out of the slippery surface. Breakfast was o.k. and I found the hot selection luke warm. The room key is inserted into a slot on the wall but be aware the slot is on the side of the switch, and not the centre.. The wardrobe doors are opened by pushing the doors to release the magnets. The Hotel guide does not show the reception telephone no although I was told there was a picture on the telephone handset. The bathroom tap came off in my hand as the water was running so I had to go down to reception to report matter. I asked the manager to indicate to customers how the key card is fitted and the wardrobe opens. Bearing in mind the room is in darkness.

"What a fabulous stay"

jarvo62, The Netherlands 09/12/2018

Having read the reviews of this lovely hotel there isn't much more to add to recommend it wholeheartedly for a decent priced break in Brussels. We had a VIP upgrade and am sure we had the best room in the hotel...the beautiful Christmas tree right outside our window. The beds are dreamy, the bathroom fantastic and the breakfast was much choice and great quality. Without exception every staff member had a warm, ready smile and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely break.

"Friendly Staff, Solid Location, GREAT breakfast"

Impeach45, Alexandria, Virginia 28/11/2018

We were VERY tired after a long trip and got an upgrade and more importantly, an early check in-thank you sincerely. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and great location to train station (MIDI). Highly recommended. Beautiful rooms and décor! Keep up the great work and thanks for helping with a great holiday.

"Excellent overall service"

Marco61Italy, Italy 25/11/2018

The location is good, within 15 min walk from the Grand Place. The double room was very wide, with all right and functional and fashionable details, and a great bed. Staff is friendly. The breakfast quality is above average. A bit costly, though, we invited our son as guest and were charged 30 euros, but am afraid this is in line with local standards. One afternoon the room service arrived at 4:30 pm, too late, we were resting in the room and we skipped it. This could cost a star, but I keep all 5 hoping it was just an accident.

"Lovely and eclectic "

User 21/11/2018

Visited this hotel this month for 3 days. Lovely staff, willing to accommodate an earlier than expected check-in/later check out times. The hotel is quite close (5minute walk) to Brussels Midi which is very handy if you plan to make a trip to Bruges/ any other cities. There are also other local train stations surrounding the hotel. The city centre is a short walk away too. The room is spacious with an interesting interior which is a nice change. The walk in shower and sliding (sort of see through) bathroom doors are a nice addition, although maybe awkward if sharing with friends. The heating in the room is not very warm despite on maximum, but that is a small thing. Unfortunately their in-house restaurant closed down a while back, but not all the rooms have this updated in their menus, but they do have a free room service menu which has a decent dinning menu which is handy. Breakfast was provided but was more focused on the continental side. Overall a great hotel and would recommend a stay here

"Very nice stay in Brussels in very nice hotel"

FERO2423, Aalter, Belgium 04/11/2018

Nice hotel with lovely and big room. Extensive and well looked after breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking garage for car in the middle of Brussels is a plus (but rather expensive :-( ). Enjoyed very much our stay.

"Perfect night"

Tour41524167709, Amsterdam, The Netherlands 31/10/2018

We had a perfect night in be manos. The room was very big and beautifull designed. The location was near the Brussel South station, which was handy because we were travelling to London the best day. Breakfast was also good

"Makes a business trip into pleasure"

GaryNWales, Bangor, United Kingdom 06/10/2018

Be Manos is a regular choice for my business trips. It is consistently friendly, with wonderfully appointed rooms, and very well equipped. Unusually these days, there is consistency in staff, who always greet guests warmly, and are always willing to help. Little, but significant additions, such as free transfers to neighbouring station, high speed WIFI, and luxurious toiletries, especially welcome at the end of long busy days. A real home from home.

"Great hotel "

107jasmineh, Gloucester, United Kingdom 28/09/2018

This hotel is a gem. It's a local area so not tourist area.the hotel is faultless & friendly & clean. The breakfast is brilliant. We only had a standard room, however we felt our room was big enough to have a party. The bar is good & friendly has anything you want. It's a great hotel I do understand the area is local so expect to feel a little out of place.

"Surprise gem right by the Midi station "

Christopher G, Evrehailles, Belgium 24/09/2018

I knew the other Manos hotels in Brussels and liked them, but didn't know this one until last week when I needed a place close to the Midi station to catch an early Eurostar train to London. This was a little gem of a hotel. Dark ambience but fun and well done. The room was very well done and comfortable, and it was quiet. And Midi is just a few hundred meters away.

jjcreativo, Madrid, Spain 23/09/2018

I have to say I love this hotel. But, I love the most is the great service of the breakfast waiter ( unfortunately I don't remember his name) he speak a lot of languages one of them is Spanish. He is very kind, he always smile, and he even remembered my name because my other visits. “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see”. Please give a big compliment from me. Atte: Jorge Escribano

"Great hotel!"

User 05/09/2018

The service was excellent & breakfast in general was good. We had 3 rooms close to each other so that is very convenient when traveling with family. The bed in our rooms could be bigger but that's just a minor issue. Room facilities were more than I expected. Overall, the hotel is very good, great interior and decorations with very spacious rooms. The only negative thing was the area.

Dannii K, London, United Kingdom 24/08/2018

Im still here at the hotel! But Wow! I had to write a review!!!! From the moment we stepped into the hotel the service was second to none. The hotel itself is Amazing. Decor is outstanding with several outdoor areas. The bedroom was sensational. Every little detail on decor was thought about. They couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast and Bar areas where so well organised. I couldn't fault this hotel! What I find! 5 min walk from Euro star. There's a few places in the square to Eat, only down side was the area itself but hey this hotel I found a diamond! I Had a great dinner in the opposite brasserie Le Major. They were so friendly and food was great! Congrats Be Manos cant wait to come again!

"A Diamond in the Rough!"

DarrenRhodes, London, United Kingdom 20/08/2018

Good service, great room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was welcome as we couldn't open the windows due to the fair taking place just opposite. The breakfast was not great unfortunately, so we decided to miss this on the second day and get something in the main city. The main thing that lets this place down is it's location. The main square out front had a lot of drunken homeless people in and did not make you feel safe walking through.

"Good hotel pity about the breakfast "

Karan S S, Walton-On-Thames, United Kingdom 19/08/2018

Great hotel and location. Clean and peaceful night. It is pity that they could not get breakfast functioning for all three morning. We went for breakfast at three different times on the three days. I pity the two (waiter and waitress) trying to coupe with cleaning the tables, provide teas and coffee. Most of the items were finished and not being replenished, had to ask for items every day and some items never appeared. The hot items are not worth it. The breakfast should be rated as the per 3* hotel. Feel sorry for the two staff.

"Quirky Decor and some Hazards, but Large Room and Great Breakfast"

Michael B, Salem, VA 15/08/2018

This hotel had one of the largest rooms and most comfortable features of most of our hotels in Europe, but the modern mostly-black decor was, frankly, ugly, and I stubbed my toe three times over our four night stay because the black bed frame legs stuck out and were nearly invisible against the solid black room carpet. The bathroom was also generously large but the entire wall between the bed and bathrooms was glass, and I walked right into it in exiting the bath the first day. Extra caution was required in the hallway too because there were steps up and down between our room and the elevators and the black hallway carpets made them very hard to see, especially at night when the lighting was low. We got used to these faults however because otherwise, it was a great room with easy to use controls for the TV and lighting, Two room chairs and a desk and chair, a nice coffee/tea service, bathrobes, frig, etc. The best thing of all was the breakfast buffet which was really gourmet. The chef made a green drink of spinach, cucumber, lime juice etc that was delicious. I loved the full English breakfast and the tasty croissants. The chef made homemade pastries with recipes from his native Portugal. Also, the staff at this hotel offered outstanding service and truly cater to hotel patrons.

"Our stay at the Hotel Be Manos Hotel"

Mau5024, Porirua, New Zealand 15/08/2018

We stayed at this hotel for 3nights 4 days. Throughout our stay this hotel was just great. From the time we entered the entrance of the hotel to entering our room we were welcomed by the staff who were very professional. The room we had was terrific. Big spacious and the bathroom was big and had everything one required. We even had bath robes and slippers. Something you don't got at other hotels. We had coffee making facilities and a mini bar in our room also. The Decor was beautiful and fresh and bright. The bed was very comfortable. Certainly worth recommending. We would very much like to come back and stay here.

"Perfect location for Cantillon visitors"

Taylor S, San Francisco, California, United States 31/07/2018

I made a solo pilgrimage to Brussels so that I could spend a few days enjoying Cantillon, and this hotel was the perfect fit for the occasion. The hotel: The hotel has a really erotic theme to it, black and white photos of people being provocative all over. Sent some photos back to my girlfriend and she was a little skeptical of what I was doing, but I thought it was pretty cute. Be Manos is well kept and quiet overall, a really great value for the space, facilities, and access you're receiving. The big carnival was set up a couple blocks from the hotel and I still didn't get a lot of noise at night, big plus if you're a light sleeper. My room was really large and had a gorgeous tall windows looking out onto the plaza. Spacious shower and tub for a soak, plenty of space to sit in the room with friends as well. One of the upper floors has a rooftop seating area that would be great for a gathering of friends. The area: The hotel is set on a cute little plaza with outdoor seating from the bistros, very cozy for an afternoon drink or lunch. Cantillon is incredibly close, that's my primary reason for choosing Be Manos. As a San Francisco native I'll address some of the negative reviews I saw about the neighborhood – I'd say treat it like any city center and be smart about how you navigate on foot. It doesn't mean you're a target just for being outside, but you want to be careful about vulnerable bags, wallets and valuables you're carrying. Only about three minutes walking to the brewery, and only about 10 minutes in an Uber to get to the more touristy quarters of Brussels proper. The train station is also very close, so you can hop out to the rail lines easily if you want to get further out. Overall: You're so much better off in a spot like Be Manos than one of the more central hotels – it is a lot quieter in this neighborhood, which is exactly what I want when I'm turning in for the night. I'm planning to return with friends, what a great stay!

This place has fantastic transport links being less than 5 minutes walk from the metro M station for buses, trains and trams. In addition to the Eurostar train station. It's a 15 minute walk to the old town with its shopping district and historic dwellings. The staff in this uniquely fantastic hotel are beyond amazing. They work really really hard to ensure that you make the most of your stay. I stayed in rm117 and was fascinated by the bathroom. The entire hotel is decked in blacks creams and oranges dashed throughout but the bathroom...granite floors and walls with a waterfall shower alongside a bath easily big enough for two with me being 6ft 5ins. Breakfast was the standard buffet you would receive at any hotel on the continent. The thing that lets this place down is the area that it is situated in and they have no control over that. Facilities wise they have meeting facilities a lounge bar, a roof top lounge on the third floor and a spa area with sauna, steam room, massage room all set on the first floor. Higher rooms with a city view may provide a better view however they have tried to make the best view out of the inward facing windows also. I liked it. A quick city stop def! But the area says more than two nights and its time to go. All I all 4/5* for this fantastic hotel

"Boutique hotel lovely location a bit ‘gritty'"

Anne Elizabeth W, Maidenhead, United Kingdom 08/07/2018

This is a lovely boutique hotel, fabulous rooms, very quiet, good quality of sleep and good breakfast selection. Which on previous trips to Brussels has all been a bit hit and miss. The area is what I would call a bit ‘gritty', immediately outside the hotel there are a couple of bars and casual cafes, but it wouldn't be the kind of area I would walk around at night alone. Having said that, it is out of the touristy area and getting an €7 Uber into the main part of City is a good trade off for the quietness of the bedrooms and quality of the overall experience. Likely I would stay there again.

"Not a bad hotel but in a dreadful area"

Paul W, Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom 02/07/2018

This hotel is ok for short stays and offers a free transfer from the Eurostar. It was very quiet when we were there and we were later informed that evening meals were no longer available due to lack of customers. We asked at reception the way to the Grand Place and were given directions. Upon taking the advised route we ended up walking along a street which was full of uncollected rubbish, numerous people sleeping rough and getting very intimidating looks from locals. This was not some seedy backstreet but the main route to the tourist area. After our day at the Grand Place we took the same walk back and my 80 year old father in law was violently shoved and had his phone stolen by a bunch of low lifes. The hotel staff were very apologetic but told us this is very common, so why not pre-warn us? All our other journeys were taken by taxi which cost us a small fortune. If you're going to stay in Brussels get a hotel in the centre so you can avoid this .

"Perfect choice"

BWHKDR, Hong Kong 30/06/2018

Stayed in this amazing hotel for two nights in Brussels Just 7 minute walk from the BRUSSELS MIDI station, or free shuttle to the hotel ( reservation needed) , or a stone throw away from the underground tram station Lemmonier, Be manos hotel is well connected and is PERFECT for travellers arriving from Thalys/ eurostar especially with huge lugguage and who wants a day trip to nearby cities of brussels such as Ghent and Brugge. The tram from Lemmonier station to the city center (Bourse station) takes less than 5 min in 2 stops. So even if I stayed til late in the city, I am never more than ten minute away from this lovely hotel. The hotel interior is stylish and chic, with rooftop terrace and bar to chill out. The staff are always warm and welcoming . From abundant fresh fruits, organic juice, to fresh honey, pastries to cold cuts , the breakfast is no doubt among the best i have had in europe and could easily rival any five stars hotel . The room is spacious and cosy. The bathroom has apivita products and wifi is fast with reliable connection. Dont miss the restaurants in the hotel neighbourhood, they serve authentic belgium cuisine at reasonable price!

Executive rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. Staff friendly. Close to Eurostar station and about 15 mins walk to La Grande Place. Good bar/ brasserie next door called Bar BQ. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Is my second time and is my favorite hotel in Brussels. I love the rooms (is a bit scary the pics of the doors because they look like a real people) I also love the free apples and the design of the hotel in general. Special thank you to a waiter in the breakfast who was amazing host and when he new I spoke Spanish was very friendly and talking to me in my language. THANK YOU....

A really beautifully designed boutique hotel, that I am pleased to tell others about!! I have stayed here many times, and in this world of large corporate hotel chains, Hotel Be Manos is refreshingly different: it is warm and friendly, excellent value, an eye to detail from the rooms through to the lovely breakfasts, and the complimentary shuttle to the nearby railway station is really helpful when you have a heavy suitcase. My favourite place to stay, and it helps to turn a business trip into a memorable and enjoyable occasion!!

"A well-run boutique hotel in Brussels"

TAlbreht, Ljubljana, Slovenia 17/02/2018

I had stayed previously at this hotel and this was another stay due to meetings nearby and booked by the organisers. The hotel is well-kept, pleasant and with a twist, which adds to its being intriguing. Regular prices are rather high for the area but we had a nice offer so it was actually priced as mid-range for Brussels. Rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and well equipped. Breakfast is generous and with a nice assortment. Overall a pleasant experience worth repeating and to be recommended.

"Excellent Hotel"

User 29/01/2018

A very good well maintained hotel well placed for the city centre. Stylish decor good sized well equipt rooms with attentive helpful staff. Small enough to be personal but large enough to provide the standards you expect from a big hotel. I will definately go back. Oh yes and the chips are to die for!

"I love this place!"

Michael M, San Diego, California 04/01/2018

This place was a real find. The room was huge. Both the bathroom and sleeping/living area. One of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept in. Incredible breakfast buffet with gracious attendants. Check in was fast and easy and the desk staff were very helpful with questions and printing out a train ticket for me. About a 25 minute walk from the Palace Square. Also appreciated the under 10 minute walk to the Brussels Midi Station. Super fast Wifi. Would definitely stay again.

"Lovely hotel in a good location "

smayf, Birmingham, United Kingdom 04/01/2018

This was a really lovely, clean and stylish hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and there's not too many people around which is nice. We had an executive room which was really good, I love the bathroom and particularly the wonderful deep bath. The bed was really comfy, we both suffer with bad backs and this was really nice. The only downside to the room was the air conditioning not being very good, however, you have the option to open windows which I find really useful in stuffy hotels. It's a well thought out design. There are a few minor things to mention, those being; The spa- this is not available to use freely to guests. A daily charge per person is applicable, I think that you should allow at least one visit during the stay. No water in the room - I've never stayed at a BW 4 star and not received complimentary still water, this would've been nice to have saved the €4 cost of a small bottle from the mini bar. Open jars at breakfast. The mini jams etc on the tables some were open and used, this is not hygienic at all, these should be checked once guests have left the table. Overall though, the stay was lovely and I'd definitely recommend this hotel and even stay again. If you turn left out of the hotel and cross the road you are at the metro which is really useful, €7.50 for a 24hr pass. There's a nice brasserie opposite the hotel too called Escale, even for a nice herbal tea. Thanks BW for a pleasant stay.

"Very nice boutique hotel nearby Brussels-Midi station"

jw1973be, Antwerp, Belgium 22/12/2017

If you like to stay in Brussels nearby the main station then Be Manos is perfect: about 7 minutes walking you find this nice hotel. It has a nice colour scheme throughout the whole hotel and the pictures on the wall are real photography artwork! The room size is very good and I did appreciate the clean bathroom and also the slippers and the bathrobes (executive room we had)

"Amazing place to stay while in Brussels"

User 12/12/2017

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's a real delight to stay here. It's very close to the Eurostar station (10min walk) so it was perfect if you arrive on a late Eurostar train like me. It's also close to the central Brussels ( 15-20mim walk), it's basically a straight road from the hotel. If you don't fancy walking the station in very near ( 2mins) which makes it great when you want to go exploring Brussels. The staff are very friendly and polite which made me experience extra special, they were kind enough to help us navigate around and see things we wanted to. Breakfast is great, has a semi big selection and everything is fresh. Breakfast is in a big area so you can have peace and quiet if you want to. The rooms are big and well decorated, they have a unique feel about them. You don't get the corporate white room like everywhere else but a room with character. They are clean and tidy and very interesting. There is a steam room and sauna. I only used once, so have limited view. They are small but tbh it's more than enough, they are clean and a real bonus. This hotel is a real gem if you are going Brussels. Side note: there's a restaurant 2 doors down that does amazing food cheap.

"Not to my taste"

Roz S, London, United Kingdom 16/10/2017

Friendly, helpful staff, but the decor was not to my taste at all. Photos of stockinged legs and a man touching a woman's underwear does not make for a relaxing stay. I don't totally dislike the idea of a black and white colour scheme, generally, but I found the decor really depressing. I've seen there are other hotels owned by the same family and I'm sure I'd like them more. Although I wanted to get away asap, I have to say that the breakfast actually looked quite good and the breakfast area was not quite as depressing as the bedrooms.

"Brussels visit"

John M, Reston, Virginia 12/10/2017

Hotel Be Manos is a nicely decorated and furnished hotel near the Midi Train Station. The location is ideal for visiting them old section of Brussels and it historical sites. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area with great instruction for walking to the areas we wanted to see. The breakfast provided an excellent choice of items.

"Wonderful & cool hotel"

User 10/10/2017

An amazing hotel, great modern rooms, fantastic breakfast and a very faur price, extremely close to Gare du midi. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't rate this hotel with 5 stars is the area where it is located - (near blvd. Lemonier & blvd. Stalingrad) with a large middle eastern community, my wife felt it may not be the safest place to walk at night if you're a woman walking back to the hotel on your own. You should take it into account - but don't let it make you pass on this wonferful hotel.

"Funky modern hotel conveniently located for a weekend visit"

JezPage, Manchester, United Kingdom 10/10/2017

This hotel is very well located near to the Bruxelles-Midi railway station, and so was ideal for our two-night weekend visit. We wanted to be close enough to walk from the station (where the Charleroi airport shuttle runs to), but not too far from the city centre. The Be Manos delivered on everything we needed: convenient location, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, funky modern decor and a great price! We didn't get to the hotel until 11:00pm, but not only was check-in very quick, the BarBQ brasserie next door was still open and serving food. The bedrooms can be a bit of a shock though: the bathroom door is just smoked glass, so absolutely no privacy; a semi-opaque door would have looked just as good and at least given some privacy. The rest of the room was perfect, including a Nespresso coffee machine. Breakfast had plenty to offer, similar to most hotel buffet breakfasts, but also included fresh honeycomb (great on the waffles)! The scrambled egg was a bit below-par on the second day though. The local area is a bit seedy, with not much else around, so a trip into the city centre is a must when looking for anything of interest. The walk into the city is a pleasant one mile, and we felt perfectly safe walking back late in the evening, despite being gawped at by customers in the men-only Muslim cafes.

Antonia P, Cheshire 09/10/2017

Stayed here for a weekend in Brussels with friends. The hotel is immaculate and very modern. Everything is quite trendy with quirky furnishings and accessories. The room was very spacious with a lovely comfy queen sized bed. The bathroom is only separated from the bedroom by a glass screen so there is no privacy, however the toilet was private! Breakfast had a good selection at the buffet, it was a bit cold on the first day, but excellent on the second day. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient for walking to everything. We had a lovely stay here and I would definitely stay here again.

"Hard to beat"

User 09/10/2017

Absolutely amazing hotel. Room clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast to much to choose from. Staff very attentive. Highly recommend Bemanos. Good location to visit Brussels. I highly recommend booking the sandemans tours. Excellent weekend in a top city, will hopefully return one day.

"Nice hotel. Not so nice location."

peterbC8150KU, Morden 29/08/2017

We arrived late at night for a three night stay. The receptionist was friendly. Room was nice and spacious. Very dark rooms as mainly black but very comfortable bed.Needs a little tender care, blinds coming apart and bathroom skirting needs a clean. Great size bath and wonderful rain shower. Towels hard but clean.Great to have Nespresso machine and a kettle for drinks. TV has many channels to suit all tastes. WiFi not so good with only average connection. Our deal included breakfast which if I recall was €25 Euro extra if not included. Very poor breakfast. A “hot” plate containing a few bits of bacon that was cold . Mini sausages undercooked and cold and scrambled egg that looked awful floating in water. A few pastries and some hams and cheese that looked like they had been there for ages. We never had breakfast there the remaining to breakfasts. For a hotel of its claimed quality and rating this seriously needs to be addressed ! Hampton by Hilton and Holiday Express put this place to shame in this area ! Not very friendly staff on front desk when you are in and out, we always said hello done did respond done others didn't even lift their head over the desk. The hotel is very quiet despite being told it was full. We never saw a sole in the bar that is open for residents. The hotel is located a few minutes from Brussels Midi Station and the do offer a free shuttle. The area is very run down but there are a couple of reasonable friendly bars in the square. There are sadly homeless people and beggars around as in many cities today. It took us about 15-30 minutes to walk to centre and back to our favourite restaurant Drug Opera. Overall a very relaxing weekend with great weather.

"Wonderful stay!"

Jeejo1970, Worcester, United Kingdom 16/08/2017

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights sharing a triple room (twin beds and a sofa bed) with my friend. The hotel has a fresh contemporary feel with beautiful modern decor and artwork throughout and feels very luxurious. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Very quiet too, slept very well. Wonderful buffet breakfast, great choice of cereals, fresh and dried fruits, meats, cheeses and pastries, and the dining room and bar areas are beautiful, very stylish. This hotel is very good value for money, has such a luxurious feel. The square in which the hotel is situated is very pleasant, has a water fountain and several good cafes with outdoor seating. Easy to get to centre of Brussels from Midi/Zuid station which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. A fantastic base to explore Brussels, would definitely return.

"Quirky hotel well located with excellent amenities"

marsham745, Ivanhoe, Australia 14/08/2017

Each of the rooms is 'inhabited' by a different friend or family member of the owner & their larger than life size photos on your door & in your room. All the decor is black & white walls bedding carpets & decorations, right down to the black & white cowhide stools. Great bathroom, similarly done with black tiling & white fixtures. Comfortable beds, good pillows, free WIFI, very good air conditioning & a really excellent breakfast. Walking distance to everything, but woe betide you if you drop black socks onto the black carpet- difficult to locate

"Poor breakfast"

coolbreeze0610, Horsham, United Kingdom 13/08/2017

Hotel is great however the breakfast is very limited for vegetarians / vegans. When I asked for an omelette, one of the staff mentioned it would be chargeable at 5 euros. Even when I told him that the selection is very limited. He insisted that it has to be charged at room rate.

"Lovely Hotel"

siobhanmccluskey, Dublin, Ireland 25/07/2017

Stay here frequently for work. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Shower is great and air conditioning works well. Free wifi is available throughout the hotel. It can be quite dark in some of the corridors, especially if you travel up in the glass lift, so watch your step! It's located in a lovely square, with restaurant options both in hotel and in the square. It isn't far from centre of Brussels either. Staff are friendly and helpful.

"Bold, Boutique-y and Batchelor-y"

User 29/06/2017

Great location 10 mins from Gare Midi. 20 mins by foot to the centre. Comfortable and clean hotel entrance, reception and communal areas Huge rooms with large bed, desk, soft seating areas, large tv, lots of different lights and settings and the biggest wardrobe space. Exceptional nights sleep. Large bathroom with private wc and deep bath. Great breakfast and choice, especially chocolate spreads with pancakes and waffles. Good amenities especially the spiced and/or mint ice tea. Harmonious well being centre with a sauna/steam room. Great room cleaning service. A beautiful hotel, just not to my taste. The general hotel lighting was poor, everything is black which can become a little annoying. As a boutique family run hotel it was nice, but the pictures of strangers everywhere was a bit too much. Its a maze and with minimal lights and black carpets it felt like walking in the dark. Spa shower only came on cold. Pricey minibar, we stocked up from nearby market.

"Amazing hotel | A llitle bit far from the center"

willianagr, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic 17/06/2017

The hotel was amazing; beautiful and big room and bathroom. The bathroom has a tub so that was a plus for us. It has a sexy feeling and decor. The staff were friendly and open to help us every time we asked them. Also, the cleaning services was really good. The only but for us was that it is a little but far from the center area and it is not located on an upscale area.

This is a great hotel very close to the train station. Fantastic service from extremely helpful staff, sourced us a local doctor and could not do enough to help you. "Amazing room, great breakfast, extremely helpful staff with some minor niggles"

r12S, Oxford, United Kingdom 02/06/2017

This hotel was about 30 minutes walk with a suitcase from the Brussels-Midi train station; this was fine for me, but some people may prefer to take a taxi, though I found out afterwards that there was a hotel shuttle. I chose to stay slightly away from the station, as the surrounding area is surrounded by beggars, looked seedy and there was a lot of noise from traffic. Hotel de Manos looks over a square, was much quieter, and there were no beggars. Check in/check out were both quick. The room was huge compared to other rooms in Brussels, with a great bathroom. I slept very well. The options available on TV were limited, and some of the channels didn't work. There was a good (but not great) spread for breakfast which I enjoyed. The bar menu for the evening was very limited, so I ate at the Italian restaurant next door. Whilst packing, the zip to my suitcase broke, and I was faced with having to board a train within 60 minutes! The staff were extremely helpful, and someone found some gaffer tape which was a temporary solution until I could but a new suitcase the next day - very helpful! The only thing I did not like, and would not appeal to some (esp those with children) are the photos that are displayed throughout the hotel. Overall, I would recommend this highly, and thought there are a few minor niggles, and I would personally prefer that the artwork is refreshed.

Chosen based on its proximity to the train station (and we still got lost!). It is a 7 minute walk! Decor is very modern in black and white. The beds were very comfortable. We even had washcloths the second day, usually not provided in Europe! There are restaurants in the square right outside the door. It is about an 18 minute walk to Grand Place. We only had two nights here. Breakfast buffet is not included, but was by far our best breakfast while in the five countries we visited.
