Best Western Premier
Excellent location for walking around Brno, across the street from Spielberk Castle, and five minutes from the centre, public transport is right outside the hotel, but not really needed. Friendly and helpful reception staff,

Good hotel in the center of Brno. Very close to several good restaurants and bars. Room was very tiny but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is really good with a huge choice. Unfortunately no free water.

I stayed here in August 2018 for a 3 nights when visiting Brno for a friend's wedding. The room & bed were both comfortable & I don't really have anything bad to say about the hotel. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but the location is good just a 5 minute walk to the main square in Brno. The city itself is very nice, both cheaper & less touristy than Prague.
Quite simply, although not hyper luxurious, it was perfect for a business trip in Brno. There is surface parking immediately in front of the hotel. I had a room at the end of the hallway. Those rooms have balconies. It is perfect to let fresh air in. The room was really a small suite with two separate areas, for the bed, and for a desk/sofa. While there were no outlets by the bed, there were plenty on the desk, including USB charging ports. The room had a safe. My Nestpresso coffee machine didn't work, and that's the only problem I encountered. When you exit the back, you are one block away from the town square where the Christmas market was taking place. Will stay there again.
I am currently staying at the hotel and this is my 2nd time at this place and probably last time. Rooms are horrible for what you pay. My rooms smelled like a sewer pipe broken and I had to all house keeping to get a room freshener. When asked for extra towels, receptionist told me since I am by myself I don't get extra towels. The list goes on.... I would prefer to stay at the Marriott and walk 20 minutes to the square rather then staying at this hotel. I am going to have this hotel removed from preferred hotels for Brno with my employer. I gave 2 stars as their breakfast is good and the location is good.
Good position near centre. Rooms all updated with excellent shower and excellent breakfast. Was there for 5 nights for the Janacek festival. However, room definitely on small side, no room to sit and little storage space. Was rather surprised that there was no attempt to put salt on to steps at the back or on to car park area at the front after some snow - became very slippy
You don't know how good you have it unless you have something drastic to compare it. This hotel is by far more safe, clean, bright and inviting than some of the other hotels in the area. The hotel itself has a gate so cars have to get a ticket to enter. I thought that was strange but after staying at another hotel in the area, I understand the need to keep the suspicious characters out! And customer service, my gosh, the guys who checked me in was so nice & friendly. I didn't check out the bar but it looked pretty lively with a couple of bar tenders. This place maybe a little more expensive but let me tell you, it's worth it.
We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and was pleased with our room, the only criticism is that there is no drawer space. The spa facility could do with an upgrade, as it was dark and did not encourage people to use it. The hotel is in a great location , right in the city centre and just a few minutes walk to most sights and arguably some of the best restaurants in eurpoe. The hotel is clean and security conscious, as you need to use your key card to operate the lift. They have drinking water on tap for you to drink in the reception area, one added bonus is the fact that you can drink the tap water, this saves buying bottled water. The hotel is used by business people from all over the world. Spilberk castle is only a 10-15 minute walk out of the front of the hotel, if you go out the back way of the hotel you are just 3 minutes away from shopping and bars and restaurants. The hotel is a calm tranquil establishment and has carpets on all landings which helps in keeping the noise down when people are arriving at all times of the day and night. Our friends where moved to another room without any fuss when they pointed out that they had booked a room with a double bed and had been given twin beds. The rooms are clean and the A/C worked great, which was a god send as the temperature in Brno was constantly 23-26 degrees every day. The bathroom although a little small it was fully functional. The curtains were blackout curtains which suits us as the sun shone into our room early in the morning. The housekeeper changed our towels every day even when we did not ask for it. Any person choosing to stay at the Best western premier international hotel will not be disappointed. The wi fi is free and worked perfectly well for the short time we used it. Honestly we do not use our mobiles whilst on holiday except to take pictures. If people are getting hung up about wifi then they are sad and need to have a break from technology and wake up to what is around you and enjoy life without technology.
Easy check in, good staff, excellent room with a nice view, comfortable bed, aircon that works, great shower. The bar has no atmosphere and few customers. Excellent breakfast. Public areas are sterile.
As a hotelier this experience has been a complete disappointment. I work at a hotel in Vienna and understand the profession hence why I called in advance to my stay, sent an email and even a booking.com request all 3 have been ignored and the situation I tried avoiding prior to my arrival is what I received. The bathroom has black mole, tiles falling off, and inside the toilet was dirty, including long hairs in the bathroom ( I am bold/ just for the record ). Won't share pictures as to spare a few people the trauma. Brno seems to a be a beautiful city for the price paid I am 190% sure you can get a better service. Let me also just for the record mention I have worked in premium hotels for the best western chain and know what to expect. In Vienna places like Best western Premium Harmony are excellent, this hotel falls under a 3 star hotel. I will be sending a follow up email to best western Central Europe in Vienna as well as to avoid a few people the disappointment. Was meant to stay 3 night. Told reception I am leaving the next day 10 minutes after check-in.
We stayed three days in this hotel with my wife this summer. A former communist building has been successfully renovated and gently designed. The standard rooms are smaller but good equipped, very good breakfast. If you want to practice your workout, they have a large fitness room and pool. Highly recommended.
The location is very good. It is 5 minutes to the main square. Breakfast starts punctually at 06:30. Freshly cooked meals are offered. An omelet or a ham - cheese toast gets you freshly prepared. The quality of the other dishes is good. The breakfast was the reason why I chose this hotel again. Unfortunately, the parking with € 16.- per day extra, very expensive. (for 4 nights € 64.- only for parking) As usual in other hotels, there was no free water in the room. That surprised me a bit. The wellness area with the pool is rather lower mediocrity.
Great price. Modern hotel. Room small, but just the right size for the price, for one person. Handsome interior hallways, that looked modern and didn't smell of carpet-fresh. Mini-fridge kept my water cold. Recepe staff all spoke English. I think also German. Knew about the Tram routes. Breakfast wasn't all that it is blown up to be. Lots of weird things I'd never put into my body. Nuts, grains, liquids. The Gluten Free bread was good, but no Lactose Free sunflower (plant) spread. The live Chef to make eggs was great the first morning with the nice woman, but the burly guy the next morning did not know enough English to even understand my egg order - nor care. I wanted the scrambled eggs from the pitcher, instead he ignored my wishes and cracked eggs and fried them for a few seconds, and served them cold and runny! Ick! That can be a problem with chefs in Czech: they serve food their way, not your way! And are mean about it! Had a tasty dinner in the main floor restaurant, but it was horribly over-priced. The chicken item on the menu is the Chicken Supreme, with a bunch of vegetables and creamy sauce. Neither of which I can eat. So I asked if I could have a more British/American version of just the Chicken Breast and Fries. Which I was served, and which was tasty, but was the entire $18USD! In the US and even in the UK, that would have been a "side" or "a la carte" order for $10/max. It's not like anyone else was in the restaurant at 6pm, they should have felt happy someone cared! When you turn on the room TV, there is a 15-minute locally produced travel video about Brno. Short, simple, informative. Many TV channels in Czech, English, German, Russian and maybe more. On arrival at Brno Hl.n., I actually walked uphill to this Best Western, with my GPS map. Now, I know there's the #4 and #12 Tram, for less than €5/day, with the hotel half-way in between two stops. Short, pleasant walks. I like it when hotels sell Tram/Bus tickets from Reception!
First of all... The hotel front desk staff were EXCEPTIONAL, some of the best. The location is perfect for exploring the charming old town. The room, although very nice and clean, had some maintenance issues. Both the towel bar and bath safety hand rail were falling off the wall. When the manager checked me out he made a large mistake and overcharged me. I went to the parking lot thinking that the amount seemed wrong. So I went back in to see if it was wrong. The managers response "Hmmm, not sure how that happened" NO APOLOGY. It all got corrected but to me seemed really devious of management.
Stayed here 3 nights for the local MotoGP. Service was excellent all round, staff very helpful and very efficient. Room was great and also spotless! Bar area good and service was quick and prices were reasonable. Restaurant was the same and a special shout out to the head waiter who was exceptionally good, made the dining experience perfect! Breakfast was great too! Really can't complain whatsoever about the service and quality of thve hotel. My only complaint is the double room prices for the MotoGP weekend, which I think in unreasonable. Perhaps consider a lesser increase.
Hotel was close to the city centre, the bar served a nice bar snack and the service was very good we didn't try the restaurant. Breakfast was lovely with a wide selection. Room was clean and bed very comfy. Lovely place to stay.
I've stayed here many times and the overall impression is that it's a perfectly adequate business hotel. It does what it's supposed to do and it's incredibly good value. I especially like the location and the breakfast. But this trip I happened to be staying over a weekend in the summer and I have to say it really annoyed me. Maybe it's the jet lag, or maybe it's my unreasonable expectation to spend a quiet evening after a heavy couple of days work or maybe I was just unlucky ... A list of noise related gripes: The walls are paperthin at this hotel. It's particularly annoying to hear your neighbour talking endlessly and loudly on his phone. Ah well, no problem I will go and relax in the bar. Perhaps not - there are almost no customers and they are blasting out heavy metal to give it a nice relaxing ambience. So back to my room and by now the outdoor bar next door to the hotel has decided to kick up their awful music to 11. I think I will go into town and drink myself into a stupor. Be warned - bring ear plugs and headphones.
Great hotel, with fast and friendly service Clean and organized facilities. First room we arrived came across a room that had not been tidied the beds were to be arranged. We declined and asked for another room because what they gave us was not finished by housekeeping. Reasonable spa and gym facilities. breakfast with little fruit. easy access. perfect location but to be good it has to better some aspects.
Loved my multiple stays at Best Western Brno. Very friendly and helpful reception staff , great room service, lavish buffet breakfast and beautifully located. I absolutely loved every meal I ate . Such value for money!
About 10 mins walk from the train station well situated in the centre of town close to the castle and also close to the road out to main business areas. Rooms are spacious and clean, nice size bathroom. Good storage space, Buffet breakfast is nice lots of choice. Staff are friendly and helpful
Great hotel and it is located at centre of Brno city centre. A short cut thro the hotel or by the side about 100m took us to centre of city. Unfortunately the reception or anyone in the city were not available to provide this information. The reception seems to be under staffed and getting their attention for any trivial quations is a long wait. The hotel room is great and the breakfast is superb. The only comment I have is a typical bathroom/shower design. One has to climb over into the bath tub to have a shower and climb out of it is very dangerous with wet feet. It is an effort for elderly people to get in and out of the bath tub. Obviously the bathroom is not designed for elderly and handicap people.
Stayed for 3 nights with my wife who was attending a conference in the hotel. Nice room, very comfortable beds, well furnished, great breakfasts, great gym, good WiFi, well sound-proofed room, nice view of the hill with castle opposite the hotel, very close to main town centre. Only downsides are: 1. Poor town map given by reception. 2. Poorly lit room - no ceiling light, only 3 wall lights all with shades and one standing light, again covered with a shade. A major conference hotel should have much better-lit rooms so conference delegates can easily read and write in their rooms. A simply desk light on the table would suffice. 3. Not near a stop of the Airport Bus (which runs every 30 minutes). With no train or tram service from the airport, a taxi (approx. 400 Korunas) seems the only realistic option. But there were no taxis at the taxi ramp at the airport when we arrived. We had to wait quite a time.
I stayed here with my four year old daughter whilst I had a medical procedure. The location was excellent, and backs onto the main square. We walked easily from where we were, and it is only about a 600 metre walk to the main bus and tram station. Staff could be friendlier.
Hotel is good value...We had a toddler with us and although it's a more business hotel, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make it family friendly and spoil our little boy. Hotel facilities and rooms all as described on the tin.
Spend last night here and do so every year from time to time based on my work. This hotel have long history and have been reconstructed several times. Improvement are visible and it looks amazing nice inside. Reception, restaurant and bar all looks fancy and are fancy. People from abroad doesn't know that this hotel have been in movies and also many celebrity's have visit it and it is visible on walls with Nice pictures. Very good location, direct in downtown. Nice renovated rooms and very friendly and effective personnel both at the reception and in the bar.
Great hotel an great location in the city centre. Breakfast was perfect. Dinner in the restaurant was also really nice. Rooms are clean, enough space and modern. Taxis know the way and staff is friendly. Good business hotel.
This is a large hotel well located in the city centre and is larger that I would normally use. It was very busy with a conference taking place nearby and several companies had lots of people staying there. The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I was upgraded to a very large room on the top floor which gave me access to a lounge which was really nice to sit in and work in an evening. It allowed me to work in a well lit area at a table rather than in my room. The room itself was large and well equipped with a good view over the city. Breakfast was the normal buffet style with plenty of choice and the quality was good. One night I ate in the restaurant on the lower floor and it was good but the bar also serves food but the menu is very limited and not to the same standard. There are several restaurants within a short walk of the hotel serving a wide range of food at different price points. If I am back in Brno I will consider staying there again.
Very convenient central location. Comfortable room with a good bad. Recommended to business trip. I was lucky to get room with a great view and enjoyed 1-night stay. The staff efficient and friendly, good breakfest. .
It is a good hotel with nice rooms. Make sure with check-in to get a room with a nice view since some of the lower floor rooms lack of a good view. Breakfast is great! Sports / spa are is awesome. Bar has everything you need. Location is great, right by the old town with plenty of dining options.
Stayed here for 3 nights for a conference in Brno. Arrived from a long ride by car from Vienna Airport and was impressed by the simplified check-in process. The front desk staff verified my identify and there was my key. Within a short period, I was relaxing in my room. The rooms are well sized, unlike some other hotels in Europe, and with modern furnishings. I like my rooms brightly lit even with the curtains closed and this room is exactly what I wanted. There is a work desk at the end of the room next to the windows and a nice reading sofa at the other corner. The bathroom is well spaced with a bath tub and standing shower all in one. The breakfast served in the mornings are awesome, the best so far I have tried in a hotel in Europe. I love the ham & cheese sandwiches and omelette. This hotel has a very centralized location. Right at the back of the hotel, is just a short walk to the Freedom Square which has many shops and restaurants housed there. This would be THE place to stay when in Brno!
This hotel is right in the centre of Brno so a 2 minute walk from the town square. Hotel is very business oriented but I have only stayed during the week. I stay regularly and the rooms are always clean and spacious. Breakfast is a buffet and is always very good. The staff are friendly and the taxi service you can use as part of the hotel is always very good. The drivers are very professional and friendly. The spa is good, and he gym and very well equipped.
The best benefit the hotel has, is location. You are in the city center, near a lot of restaurants, mall, stores, public transportation. The view from my room was directly to the Castle, so it was great. Breakfast is good in quality and variety. There are two things I'd suggest for improvement: access to the tub/shower was a little bit difficult (the tub is high and even with the rubber rug, it was slippery to get in) and the shower was on one side (not as usually, at the end of tub), so it was a little bit uncomfortable(nothing you cannot live with, but, yes, uncomfortable!). The second improvement would be the room's door: I woke up every night with the noise of other room's doors closing out. Overall, a good hotel for me to stay for a business week.
We spent four nights in Brno. The hotel was very pretty, the breakfast was amazing, and we very much enjoyed the wellness area. The location of the hotel was just perfect, close to the train station and to the castle, too.
First of all, the hotel stuff are really nice! They helped me a lot, they answered every question I've had and the did it with a huge smile on their faces! The hotel is clean, the gym is really good, the pool is nice. The rooms are good enough. Breakfast is good and the hotel Bar is great with delicious food! the hotel is right at the center of Brno! The only thing I didn't liked at the hotel was the background music, it was repeating itself every 5 minutes, and I spent a lot of time there... If I'll be in Brno again, I will stay at this hotel!
Excellent hotel and, of course, quite expensive. Wonderful position, just in front of Spilberk castle and in the core of the city centre. Breakfast is very nice and plentiful (at buffet). Rooms are modern, very clean and large equipped with satellite TV, AC and minibar. Sauna and gym are for free.
Unfortunately this hotel isn't as great as it sounds or looks on the website. It is located in the centre which is very convenient for restaurants, bars and shopping but all else is very average. The rooms are quite old and stuffy. The air con isn't manual (at least not in room 910), and the fuse box broke twice which wasn't easy to fix. The staff don't speak English very well and the service is slow for the majority of things, including always just one member of staff on reception. House keeping don't tend to look at 'do not disturb' signs too much which defeats the purpose of using them. All in all, I wouldn't really recommend this hotel unless you are using it solely to sleep in.
Stayed 3 nights for a conference. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially a great location so mostly everything is in walking distance. While close to the center of the action the property feels spacious and the view of the castle is a bonus. A nice breakfast buffet in the sunny dining room got our days off to a relaxing start. Conference support was excellent- not a single glitch in the IT support. The space was clean and even though it was 100 degrees outside everyone inside was very comfortable. Conference attendees also enjoyed the stylish lounge area. Host your conference here and you'll be very happy. Staff was helpful and overall we had a pleasant stay. There are a few quirks that I should mention that can be an issue for some: The tub/shower configuration in our room was the worst we've ever experienced. (See photo.) The tub is slightly elevated so you have to step up to get in and even with the gripping tub pad it was still dangerously slippery. The shower was attached to the side wall, not to the end of the wall, so the water was aimed to spray out of the tub! You can try to turn it but the angle combined with the swinging glass half-wall shower door meant that there is no way to keep the water in the tub. We got tired of mopping up the bathroom floor and hanging on trying not to fall so we ended up having to sit in the tub. If you have mobility issues you definitely need to confirm which shower configuration your room will have. I should also mention that the hotel had elevator issues during our stay. The one on the left was often out of order. On our last day I risked it and got in and immediately regretted it. It was a very hot day so the elevators were quite warm. I pushed the button to go to the lobby and it behaved as if it had a mind of its own. After a few scary seconds when the doors closed and nothing happened it took me down past the lobby and opened on the 2nd floor. The good news is the staircases are carpeted and open so I took the stairs after that. Another small detail - our room did not have an iron and ironing board so we had to request them. Easy enough, but as a hotel that caters to business travelers it would be better to have them in all rooms.
Here for three nights and had paid to upgrade to a suite That said - the aircon never worked despite repeated requests for help to get it fixed. The hotel apart from that is good - good bar area for socialising The breakfast was very varied and plentiful The hotel is right in the heart of Brno and provides great access to the main square Very good location
The Best Western Premier Hotel in Brno is a typical Business Hotel with a good Standard - in the case, you have a refurbished room. The Hotel is located in the historical City Center of Brno which allows short ways to Pubs, Restaurants or cultural Events. Restaurant and Bar in the Best Western are on a very good, serviceoriented Level. Same for Breakfast.
Ageing looking from the exterior but very smart inside. Very clean avg sized rooms with all amenities to hand. Very friendly staff and great breakfast too - great location in city centre with car parking. Would recommend to any users as a good well priced hotel..
The bedside is designed so bad, there is no any socket anywhere close to bed to charge iPhone. If you have to charge the phone, you can't use it anymore because sockets are miles away from the bed. Here is a photo shows bedside table, no any socket , unbelievable.
I was in Brno for Kentico conference and stayed in this hotel with two of my colleague. The stay was pleasant however the normal rooms were not large. The breakfast was good as well. Recommended for short stay.
What a great hotel! I was in Brno for only one night for meetings the following day. Nice atmosphere, very helpful and nice staff. I have to say that the room was palatial! Super clean and enormous! Felt like a king in the room. Two bathrooms, one for showering and bathing and one for the other business. Nice big flat screen TV, very comfortable bed and bedding. Truly a great experience. I woke up late to go to my meetings and didn't have time to get breakfast, but when I walked by and had a quick glimpse of the restaurant it looked amazing! White table cloths, very nice. Not to mention the hotel is centrally located in downtown Brno. The main town square is a stone's throw away. I can't say enough about the hotel, it was excellent. Good value for money as well. Downtown, also near public transit. My business colleague and I took the bus to the more industrial side of town, was a piece of cake. Love this hotel, highly recommended.
Stayed here and had some inconvenience with the bathroom. The bathtub trip lever was spoiled, so it was not possible to drain the water. Called in the receptionist and they were quick to send their technician to my room. After some time trying, he was able to lift the bathtub drain, but there is another problem. The bathtub was clogged and the water cannot drain quickly, so when I had my shower, the water will pond on my feet. They promised to fix this the next day morning, but too bad I have to check out already. Room size is spacious, the wifi signal is strong and the speed is fast as well. There was no free mineral water provided and when I wanted to boil some water, I found out that the kettle was not functioning properly. When I lift out the kettle, the water started leaking, not quite sure whether the kettle was faulty or the previous guest misused the kettle. Breakfast menu is quite acceptable, the food is nice.
It shouldn't be a four star hotel! They had constructions since 8:00 in the morning until afternoon. They don't care if you are complaining. They are pretty rude actually.. The cleaning staff opens and closes the doors during midday loundly! No recommended if you want to sleep during the day! Small rooms. Nice central location. Nice breakfast.
We had a rented car but everything was so close and convenient that we walk everywhere. Especially since we were able to enjoy a great Moravian white wine with veal or pork dishes. Hotel was a first class.
Stayed here for 2 nites.. Room is spacius n comfortable .. Serve great Breakfast meal... Very near to shopping area n pubs n cafe n fast food joint..all are within Walking distance.. Enjoyed my stay there.
Visited this hotel with a large group of business colleagues. The hotel is spacious and centrally located. A grand, marble lined lobby makes for an impressive entrance with a large bar and live music in the evening. However, the room that I stayed in was basic and not much nicer than a budget hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and the room got very hot at night. A colleague had a non-smoking room that smelt of smoke and another one a very noisy fan that they couldn't turn off. The rooms are tired and need upgrading. The breakfast by contrast was excellent. Extensive choice with fresh, cooked to order food served in a light and roomy downstairs function room. The staff were friendly and helpful. So, mixed reviews, but probably a good option when in Brno.

Dear MrsBWooster, thank you for your honest and spot on review. We are very well aware of the state of our rooms, which is why we have already started a complete renovation of more than a hundred rooms. They are going to be fully refurbished, repainted and equipped with modern furniture and thanks to long overdue law also completely non-smoking. The renovation is going to be finished August this year and I hope that your next stay will be fully satisfying.
Hotel is renovated very nice, but the staff of hotel especially on breakfast is very unfriendly and inpolite. I like the room, very comfortable. Great location in the heart of the city. Good gym and wellness.
Stayed for a conference and found the hotel to be OK. Large conference room with good temperature control and good lighting was a plus. Downsides were very poor quality of food, absence of wine/alcohol in restaurant and surliness of staff. Standard room was small and not very well designed with too much furniture for the limited space and lighting that was confusing and very (too) low lumen levels. Free WiFi throughout and central location help.
This hotel where I stay yesterday on my business trip is very good located and have perfect access when you arrive to Brno. Easy to find and directly in the downtown. Parking both outside and inside. Room are very nice and breakfast we took here is excellent. Service perfect especially at reception all things are very easy. Have you been here once, you just sign prepared document and checkin ready with in less then minute. Wifi perfect and free. Bar in lobby where you have excellent service. We stay there before dinner yesterday. Recommend it and I use this hotel all the time.
I recently visited this hotel for a weekend to Brno, and quite enjoyed the experience. The hotel is very well located (very, very close to the main center, if not completely in the center of the city), the rooms are very nice and comfy, there are a lot of ammenities (sauna, gym, pool) included, and the buffet for breakfast is quite complete and tasty. I would recommend this hotel
The hotel is in a very central location, from the back entrance the centre is just at 20 meters. It is modern and well maintained. The rooms are ok and silent. The breakfast is very good, rich and with many dishes.
I stayed in this hotel for a conference so as well as the bed and breakfast included there were some formal presentations and social activities within the venue. It proved to be an ideal place for this in all respects. It is very well situated in this second city of the Czech Republic with whose main attractions are easily accessible on foot and not least a fine castle which is the centrepiece of a lovely park which is literally over the road from the front of the hotel. The breakfasts were very good and I also enjoyed the bar food and the one evening meal and lunch I had within the hotel was also good as was the room service. If you are a light sleeper you might prefer.a room at the back of the building and a few of the staff still have a little way to go to understand what customer service amounts to but that was the minority. I would also note that whereas the gym is well equipped the swimming pool is probably the smallest I have seen so if that is important to you I would think twice. It is more like a plunge pool. Notwithstanding the above I have no reservations in recommending this hotel.
Super hotel, schoon en personeel is behulpzaam. Goed eten en goed ontbijt. Good stay, good food and breakfast... Nice beds. Hotel is next to the centre of Brno and good staff. Hotel is clean. Free safe in the room.
This hotel is perfect working location. Have your meetings in the bar while having a drink. Very close to the city center and parking is included! The breakfast is nicely arranged amd the rooms are very well decorated and clean. Would recommend this to anyone price quality wise
Do not juge this hotel by its look from the outside. It might look like it came straight from another period, but it is far more modern and convenient inside. Very attentive service and good equipped rooms. Excellent choice at the breakfast buffet with freshly prepared omelette an well situated in the city. To recommend.
I had the pleasure to stay at this hotel for two nights while visiting friends in Brno. The International is in a terrific location; just walk out the back door, cross the street, and you are in the historical center of Brno. Also, the International has a fabulous breakfast buffet located in an elegant setting. However, while our room was clean, it was dark and very dated. I realize the hotel has been renovated to be more true to its modern 60s style, but I do think decent lighting and comfortable bedding is not a betrayal of its 60s origins.
1970s style hotel, located close to the Brno Old Town. Everything is within a 10 minute walk. Staff are a bit surly, nobody seems to smile except the trainee who'll happily look after your bags for you. I think the atmosphere eventually knocks the cheerfulness out of the staff. Problems with housekeeping included no towels, and toiletries not being replenished.
I was in Brno for 30 days on business and stayed at the Best Western Premier. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. The location was great and accessible to various sites and the tram line. During the 30 days, I experienced minor problems, but they were all addressed quickly and efficiently. My room was very clean, contemporary with a very nice decor. I used the fitness center and treated myself to spa services. I ate the breakfast buffet every day and it was superb. If I ever have an opportunity to return to Brno, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this location again.
Built very well in 1961, this property has been refurbished to a contemporary feel while remaining honest to its 60's origins. Staff from front desk, housekeeping, breakfast are not just helpful but a pleasure. Maybe some prefer an older Hotel, I'm 100% confident that this is run well & keeping a great standard. My only negative is the shower is over a bath, all new but not my preference. Rooms aren't huge but most comfortable with the property obviously recently having been fully renovated. Top spot location wise which is important.

Stayed here 1 night for leisure . Good location close to the castle. room was good and fitted a disabled person. Check in was fine .breakfast was good. Staff are helpful.Basic tea and coffee facilities.
Stayed here 1 night for business. Good location-on the front side across the road and up the hill is the castle on the back side down a few steps and you're in the city centre. Check in was fine- nothing wrong or spectacular. Rooms-nothing fancy, basic and old fashioned. Felt a bit sad really. Bed not overly comfortable & the room(carpets etc) didn't feel overly clean (I wouldn't walk around without slippers). No roves or slippers. Small, weak hairdryer. Basic tea/coffee facilities. Room was facing street which was very moist because of street trams even when the window was closed. Breakfast was ok. Pool - too hot stuffy and stank of bleach. In general the hotel was ok but nothing special.
Stayed one night while the hotel is fine, the staff needs help. The Air conditioning in the room did not work. After we complained at the front desk, they assumed we had not put the key in the slot to turn on the room. After we told them we had, they said you have to be in the room in order for it to work. When we told them we spent 4 hours in the room taking a nap and it was 23c when we arrived and 23.5c when we left, they just said "sorry". Of course, they didn't have a problem charging us 6,000 Kc $250 USD 220EU for the room because it was MotoGP weekend. Either the staff needs additional training on how to handle these types of issues or the hotel's policies are poor. Regardless, since we did not get a good night sleep, we will not return to this hotel nor can we recommend it.
Brilliant location really central to tram stop which takes you to bus stop for free shuttle to Moto GP ...great rooms, really comfy beds and fab atmosphere all weekend... Didn't eat in hotel restaurant but looked fab???? bar still going late into night with GP fans yet rest of hotel quiet bough for great sleep! Deffo stay again next year??
Booked this for a week. No one online does it mention that the hotel is currently a building site!! Literally outside my window all day from half six in the morning is a range of pneumatic drills! They are apparently building a new conference centre. The bedrooms are very tired and dated. Think wood chip wall paper and dodgy creamy yellow paint. Breakfast is the usually mix of breads, cakes, fry up etc. Limited selection of 'Healthy' options. Rather peed off as when booking the hotel I asked for a quiet room away from the kitchen noise. Didn't think I'd need to ask for a room away from the building site!!! But to be honest having walked around it I don't think there's a way of escaping it. Not impressed.
Lovely building with a style and charm. Room are very nice.. a bit retro, but bathrooms are modern and very good. Service in the bar is superb. Breakfast very good too. Receptionist Karla.. does not smile or ask if you enjoyed the stay.
Stayed here for a couple of nights on business. Location good (on the edge of the old town centre so restaurants etc. in easy walking distance). Breakfast was fine and so were the rooms. Nothing extraordinary but nothing to complain about either. I would stay again.
The location of the hotel is excellent to visit the essential attractions in Brno. Also parking service is handy although a bit expensive. Room and the public ares (except the main lobby) are worn out reminds me of the 80´s style. Air conditioning was noisy
Nice hotel and very friendly staff. We got an upgrade at checkin. The hotel is very close to the city center. ..just 5min walk. They offer a great breakfast buffet with fresh friuts, egg station and so on.
Not a great hotel but it was overall a good experience. Rooms are quite small and the furnitures are very basics. The bed is huge and comfortable. The room are quiet. Careful about the wine they serve in the room service. It's atrocious and extremely expensive for the quality (590kc for a bottle but it taste more like a 50kc super market wine...) Spa is also ok but a bit soulless. Its a good hotel for a quick stay or for a business trip.
This hotel has preserved the charm and design of the sixties , but offers modern standards. Good rooms and a really good breakfast buffet. From the outside it really looks like a relict of communist times but it is a very good hotel indeed! The rooms are good - not spectacular however.
This is a large hotel which is well situated with great amenities and very helpful receptionists , my partner had a massage which she highly recommended so I had one and she bruised my back so massage are highly recommended for the women but if your a male and don't like pain I'd avoid it otherwise it was a fantastic stay
Stay for 4 nights on business. Check in easy. Room clean and modern. Free wifi worked ok. Breakfast ok (always find buffet breakfast a bit confusing) gym required additional payment. Swimming pool free but very small. All staff seemed Frey fly and helpful. The location is perfect for walking the city
Stayed here for business meetings. Great staff, nice bar, nice rooms. Perfect meeting rooms for large groups. A bit stuffy for a personal or romantic vacation. A bit too modern style for me. If this is what you like you will not be disappointed. First class all the way.
for 2 days listened to major loud music from 830pm to 245am then construction starting at 8am. Moved hotels. Told front desk, was told "it is the city center" nothing we can do, (even though I asked for a room change). Very arrogant and customer service was completely foreign concept,
I visited, as Nd I have been the hotel during five days, during a different meets that I had, so the hotel allow me a very good services, like a ry and wet saunas, gym, alive piano music and a beautiful counter bar inside. The cost is normal, the breakfast is wide and good quality, and the locations is the best, in the middle of the a beautiful city.
The hotel gives excellent easy pedestrian access to the town's historic centre and provides a very wide ranging and appetising breakfast menu. Despite the hotel's central position, noise wasn't a problem. Our room was well-kept and serviced with good humour and politeness. Elsewhere occasionally we found staff slightly ungracious but we suspected that was a generational thing and was heavily outweighed by the many occasions that staff responded promptly and helpfully. Some of the publicity photos of the swimming pool give the impression that it is far larger than it is (in reality, it's fine to have a splash of 4 or 5 strokes, but not a swim). The general ambiance was that of a high-class business hotel, but we found it an excellent base for exploring the town's many cultural attractions and the first class tram service gave easy access to those attractions on the periphery. We would be happy to use the hotel again.
It is a fantastic hotel in the center of the city, 2 minutes from ulice Masarykova that is the main street in the old town. Very professional staff, nice rooms, all controlled with electronic badges(elevator included). I did not eat in the hotel restaurant so I cannot judge the quality of the food but I can say that it looks very high class from a bystander perspective. I paid per night 100 euro, I don't know if it is the real price or some kind of company discount. It is a 4 stars hotel so I guess the price is average for the category and included also the breakfast that was a full continental buffet.
Good hotel overall but severe problem with parking and staff not helpful. When I checked in, it was impossible to get a parking on the premises. They were holding a convention and the parking lot was full. Asked where I could leave the car and got blank stares by two of the staff. Did not get any response or any help. Had the same problem on the second day. It seem that some construction work is going on at the facility. i hope that they are trying to address the parking issue. The hotel itself was good. Breakfast was very good. Room amenities were as expected and was clean. I would inquire about parking before reserving again at this facility.
This is a very nice modern hotel with some limited gym and spar facilities. The room was quiet and comfortable and they serve a comprehensive breakfast buffet. The staff are very professional if a little unfriendly. The bar area is popular but the prices are expensive. If you exit to the rear of the hotel you are in the city centre with lots of bars and restaurants at very reasonable prices. All together a pleasant experience. The free WiFi is very fast.
This was my third stay in Premier Hotel International. I value cleanliness, professional staff, perfect service and standard that I can rely on. And the breakfast is exquisite. Very recommended for your stay in Brno.
i stayed in this hotel twice in April 2016. Room was quite big and comfy, and clean as well. However i wasn't able to set the aircon :-( also i read a comment that someone didn't understand how to switch on/off the lights, same for me! there is a lot of switches in the room, not sure how it works really, but that was fun :-) easy to access by car, the parking is big enough. the hotel is situated in the city centre, no need to take the car for diner. breakfast was impressive.
Hotel is in a great location, right next to the castle and the city center. Many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The breakfast in the morning is good. Biggest Con to this hotel is that the rooms smell like cigarette smoke all the time. As a business traveler from the US that is not used to this, it can be quite nauseating.
Junior suite was clean, nice bathroom, sofa, desk for work. Internet speed quite satisfactory. Breakfast good with quite many choices. The hotel is in a nice location close to the castle and cathedral. Good parking in front of hotel.
The room was nice and clean, the only think you have to watch out is that it is not a good place to sleep in late, because of the loud door slamming in the morning. I've stayed there for two nights, both mornings I woke up to the noise of shutting doors at 7 o'clock (staff is already preparing the rooms I assume). This is the only thing why I wouldn't give 5*. The breakfast is just amazing, there is everything you want to have (maybe they could think of allergic/ lactose intolerant people, but still, the food is reaaaallly good. The staff was also really nice and helpful, so I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good accommodation.
Excellent rooms, good breakfast, reasonable bar, although no cocktails (to speak of). Everything was clean, the room bar was stocked. No interesting TV channels, but Excellent Wifi, so netflix works :)
+ good location, between main square with restaurants and Spilberg castle + excellent breakfast + overall hotel service - paid parking lot - hotel has its best times behind - swimming pool is for free but gym is paid - rather small rooms Never tried restaurant or bar.
I come here regularly on business. Excellent location. Plenty of good places for dinner. Good breakfast. Clean rooms. No complaints. Free WiFi is limited to 2 Mbps; 32 Mbps is available for charge (490 CZK/d). Just bring a LAN cable for your laptop for 100 Mbps at no charge.
The hotel has a bit of the charme of the 70/80s, anyhow it is a perfect place to stay for business. Easy access to the city center as well. Parking lot can be crowded. Breakfast is served in the restaurant which is a very spacious room. Variety of offers was great! Go for a fresh made omlet! :-)
Let down for me by smoking in lobby. Would be happy to stay here again, WiFi was free and seemed fast enough for keeping up to date with emails. Shower screen over bath had no seal along the bottom which must cause lots of flooded slippery floors (I solved this by rolling up a towel and filling the gap).
I spent 2 nights in this hotel during a medical congress. And I loved it, even if the hotel is not perfect. The hotel is situated in a great area. It is directly in the center. Which is great. But it has one big inconvenience. It is noisy in the night. Drunk people walking in the street, singing... It was bothering me when I have opened the window. But when you close the window it is ok. And there was an A/C in my room, so it was not so big deal. The hotel from outside looks horrible, but I loved the inside style and atmosphere. I loved the glass decorations. My room was not very big, but big enough. And it was very clean! Very appreciated!!! The breakfast was ok, but the staff should pay more attention to the cleanness of the dishes (especially glass). Girls on the reception were very nice and helpful. I´ll be happy to come back one day.
The hotel is very well situated. The room was comfortable and quite.Breakfast was excellent and prices reasonable. I had a room at the back I think rooms at the front might have a problem of noise from the trams.
Nice hotel in a good location...great views if you get the castle side. Very friendly front desk and restaurant staff...English speakers and always went above and beyond to provide assistance and find my way around!
Rooms are oldish abit frozen in time. Staff very helpful and nice, but i had hard times communicating on emails as they werent replying and then we had a wrong room. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious. Wellness is also for free and great to visit. Hotel is in center just one street from a square where everything is happening.
I have stayed in Brno on a number of occasions, however, this was the first time I had stayed at the Best Western. The hotel is very large with many floors, the facilities are good and the breakfast is exceptional, probably the best I've seen. I found my room to be too hot and adjusting the aircon made little difference. The bed was uncomfortable and I had difficulty sleeping. The hotel hosts trade conventions and meetings and it isn't unusual to have to thread your way through a crowd who are listening to a presentation just to get to breakfast. I loved the breakfast but I wouldn't stay here again
This large hotel has an excellent location in the city centre, close to all the main amenities and attractions in town. However, there is a problem with the heating of the rooms, as they are far too warm. We were forced to ask for the windows to remain completely open. So we could manage to get some sleep up to the early hours , when the tramways started to circulate causing some considerable noise. That really made our experience of the hotel miserable. Otherwise the breakfast buffet was good, with excellent local bread and honey, pastries and nice warm food. Juices could have been better. The spa and sauna area was small, and not very clean. The reception desk could have been more helpful regarding our problems . A good air conditioning system would be a suggestion to improve the comfort of future guests.
The room was small, but clean. High Speed Wifi (3 or 4 Mbps DL) was a plus (was able to get VPN working to connect back with work without issue). Location of the hotel forced us to overlook the poor service (esp. reception, breakfast buffet) throughout the hotel. Was not very excited about the Kc 350/day extra charge for parking.Breakfast buffet was average for the price and it was hard to get a seat during the breakfast. Requested a King bed and was suggested by the reception that I put 2 twin beds together to make it a king. Computer monitor size TV. I guess the extra pay is justified for the location.
Arrival late in the evening, the staff was friendly but inexperienced. The room was very big and comfortable, very well equipped too. Fantastic breakfast in a nice room. Location is good, 10 minutes walk to the center.
An oasis of luxury in a place like Brno. In the neighborhood is a beautiful castle, a good restaurant and a theater, but otherwise I do not recommend leaving the luxury of this hotel. They can take a great care of you here. I stayed for a few days on a work trip, from which eventually became a comfortable rest. Rooms were surprisingly big, but the greatest surprise was the salt swimming pool.
i stayed 2 nights at the hotel to try it and honestly it was a very well experience, it was my first time to be on it , its so close to the centrum actually its in the centre. the breakfast was rich and delicious i really like it. SPA was not as i expected but it will change nothing in my mind about the hotel. staff was so helpful and smiling and even the management was so charming and helpful... i will stay on it definitely on my next visit to BRNO.
