"Just what I was looking for"

User 02/03/2020

I went to Brian Head for a bit of fun and some relaxation. This hotel was exactly what I was looking for. The pool & hot tubs are perfect. The lounge was probably my favorite place to spend time. I also loved how close it was to everything!

"Nice Hotel"

NDfan2, Los Angeles 23/02/2020

This was a very nice hotel. The hotel has many many amenities, but my favorite was the free use of ski lockers. The front desk staff were very nice. I was a bit bothered by the guest above pacing on the floor. The front desk cheerfully moved me to another room. Our room was nice and well appointed. I liked the refrigerator and microwave. I did notice the carpet was threadbare a bit. Although our stay was brief, it was a pleasant one. The only thing I did not like was that breakfast is not included as it is with most Best Westerns. They do offer however, a 15% discount if you are a rewards member. The town of Brian Head is not much of a town. There's very little to do and very few restaurants from which to choose. Skiing was fantastic however. If we make it back up this way again, I would very likely stay here once more.

"Great Service - Quiet"

User 16/02/2020

We stayed mid week, was wonderful, service was great, rooms nicely updated, beds are on the firm side but no back ache, pillows are small squares, guests were quiet, breakfast was good with good value, diner was fine. The bar was very nice, just not busy mid week, the city shuttle service was awesome, we will for sure stay again.

Resort was beautiful. Conveniently located. Decor gorgeous. Spa was amazing. As was the indoor and outdoor pool/jacuzzi. Food was ok, somewhat bland. Very limited menu. Priced quite high. Beautiful lounge area but unble to take drinks to the outdoor patio and enjoy the firepits.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Premier in Brian Head. We had a great time. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, the bar/lounge, and the room. Room was clean, food was great, and the atmosphere at the bar/lounge was nice. It was very low key and we enjoyed our food in font of a fire.

"Great Place to Stay while Skiing at Brian Head Ski Resort!"

5
CushyCouple, Freeport, Florida 26/01/2020

We are so lucky to have found this beautiful hotel while skiing at Brian Head! It's a great location and requires only a short 3-minute drive to the Giant Steps high-speed quad chair, one of 2 high-speed quads at this ski resort. Our Review Criteria: 1. Bed – Great – very comfortable after exhausting ourselves skiing! 2. Cleanliness – Excellent! 3. Quiet – Excellent! 4. Size of the room – Excellent! 5. The Internet worked perfectly! 6. Convenient parking 7. The 2 hot tubs – one inside and one outside -- were deeply appreciated for our very sore legs after skiing! There is ONLY thing we can complain about is the poorly designed shower door. You have pull open the glass door and step into the shower to turn the water on – and let it warm up. Of course, this means COLD water will spray on your body! YIKES! Always a Key Question: Will we return? Of course – we will be back and I hope they will have two-ply toilet paper!

"Impressive Resort"

We enjoyed our stay in Brian Head, UT at the Best Western. The hotel amenities and features were genuinely impressive. The mattresses should be replaced with more comfortable mattresses and it would be perfect!

"Great location, but questionable services for the price"

2
User 09/01/2020

Our first time to Brian Head and BW Rewards account led us to this hotel. Location is great, located near the ski areas and local bus can pick you up. Ice and snow accumulation at the main door creates a hazardous situation for anyone who may slip and fall. The lobby and front desk staff were nice and helpful. There are limited areas for families after skiing closes due to recent expansion of bar area and strict Utah laws. We were told that families with children under 21 could go to the outdoor patio which was nice, but was also exposed to cold (sub 20 degrees) , had no TV's or seating. When I complained that a premier-priced hotel resort should have more area for families, the general manager argued with me and told me that for every customer like me there was someone who preferred a drink at the bar. BTW- Brian Head is primarily a family skiing resort, and the bar had no more than a few people in it while we were at the hotel.

Brandon S, Front Office Manager at Best Western Premier Brian Head Hotel & Spa, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us at our hotel. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for the experience that you encountered. While unprofessional conduct is not proper in any situation, I do understand the frustrations we have had with creating an environment supporting of both vacationing families, as well as individuals looking for a drink. Our upstairs area is far too small in the restaurant to support a full-blown restaurant, it was originally designed as a bar and great lengths would have to be gone through to convert it into a larger restaurant. Best Western requires that we have an on-site bar, and the only suitable location is upstairs in the bar area. Last year we had many families complain that they could no longer use the fire-pit patio, so we worked with the state liquor agency to try to come up with solutions, the best we were able to come up with was to segregate the bar into an adult and minors area. While this is by no means an ideal solution, it was the best that could be done. I would like to profusely apologize that we have not been able to create a fix that is perfect for each type of customer, but I hope you can understand that we have tried very hard to create the most utilitarian option. I do hope in the future, either better laws can be passed, or better ideas can be brainstormed. I hope that our staff and other amenities were able to make your stay an overall pleasant one. I appreciate the feedback and suggestions greatly, and hopefully, we will see you again in the future. Please take care and have a great day!

Restaurant needs to stay open longer in the holiday season. Need more children space at bar for children and family to seat. Not enough tables for families to seat in lounge area. Food is okay but should have extened menu during the holidays

"Premier??? Dream On..."

2
WorldSprinter18, Sedona, Arizona 30/12/2019

This hotel is a FAR stretch from a "Premier" lodging brand. The rooms are adequate but not luxurious by any means. Their restaurant is small, dark, and remarkably laid out AWAY from any windows with views which felt quite claustrophobic. There is no fireplace in the restaurant, an incredibly limited menu for dinner, and worst of all: THE most limited bar we have ever encountered at a so-called resort/"Premier" hotel; they didn't serve lunch at all! It was both disappointing and shocking that their restaurant is SO incredibly inadequate that we had to go out in a snow storm to find somewhere else to eat during a holiday! The so-called "Spa" is the smallest facility I have ever encountered particularly in a hotel designating itself as a "Premier" ski resort. The tiny unbearably hot dressing area was down right embarrassing as there was absolutely NO privacy, one toilet, one shower, one sink, and a few lockers in which random computer-coded doors didn't work. There were no healthy spa snacks, fresh fruit, or anything other than packaged fig bars, tea bags, and water. Since the restaurant wasn't open for lunch, it was a bad situation not being able to get anything to eat for many hours in the spa since my treatment was also delayed. There was a large steam & sitting room, that was out of proportion to the claustrophobic dressing/shower area, a sauna that I couldn't get to heat up, and a totally non-private Jacuzzi which would require one to wear a bathing suit as all spa patrons had a direct view of this area. The therapy rooms were well appointed with a variety of therapeutic specialties. I paid $160 for a 90 minute hot stone massage and the therapist did not ever have me turn over to do my face, head, or lay even one front point stone which is basic protocol for balancing hot stone therapy. As I was sitting in the lobby drinking a cup of coffee, I was amazed that the dour girl at the front desk was either down right rude to anyone who dared ask her a question or dismissive at best; never wishing anyone a happy holiday or Merry Christmas to brighten the day. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this BW Hotel and Spa...probably not Brian Head in general as skiing for young children is also not very good...very disappointing...

This is our families go-to destination when we want to get out of Las Vegas and go skiing. It is a no frills destination, the lodging and amenities are a good value. If you are looking for Park City or Aspen grandeur then go there. The skiing and snow conditions are great for a resort of this size. The only draw back is that there is not a very large selection of restaurants.

Had a great ski trip to Brian Head and stayed at the Best Western Premier Resort. Rooms were very spacious and a big bed. Nice atmosphere but unfortunately no bar service at the time. Walking distance from the ski slope and ski cabin decor. Breakfast was not included but staff were great and catered for our dietary needs as mucb as they could.

Off season rates were very good. Hotel amenities were great. The restaurant was poorly staffed, but due to the off season timing, it was expected. We took advantage of the pool, hot tub, fitness center and spa while staying here and they were all very good.

We planned this spot because it was along our drive back to NJ from San Diego. We were so happy when we arrived. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are decorated very rustic and the beds are super comfy. It's super clean and the customer service is very hospitable. Definitely recommend a stay here!

"best hotel of a 10 day, 6 hotel trip!"

PatCincinnati, Cincinnati 25/10/2019

what a great way to start a 10 day, 6 hotel, 5 national parks and 1 national monument trip. The location was convenient to Cedar Breaks National Monument. We were here 2 nights and wanted to stay more. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Letting me know about things I didnt even know I needed to know! lobby and hot tub areas were nice, all were clean. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Set up was conducive to movement and spreading out to be comfortable. We had services in the spa and they were wonderful as well. I paid twice as much for a hotel at the end of the trip, in Moab, and it wasnt nearly this nice. wish we lived closer, would come here for a weekend getaway but Ohio is just too far. Thanks for the best hotel of the trip...

We were only here for one night and it was the off-season (September) so we nearly had the place to ourselves. It is a gorgeous property with quite a few gathering spots and fireplaces. Our room was large and we were tickled to have two comfy chairs and a fireplace. That was a first! The bed and pillows were comfy; it was too bad we had to rush off.

"Excellent hotel, clean quite and comfortable"

5
Peter K, Hurricane, Utah 15/10/2019

We stayed here on 10/12/19 in room 322. Since there was no snow, this was still the hotels quiet time. We thought the hotel interior and exterior looked great, there is plenty of parking and the hotel is easy to find. The check in staff were friendly and efficient and had several recommendations on places to eat. We enjoyed the outside fire pit area and thought the bar looked like it would be a fun place during ski season. Room 322 was a suite, it was clean comfortable, quiet and well appointed. There is a gas fireplace in the living area and a small dining area (has a sink and small microwave ). The bedroom was very large and the bed was quite comfortable (on the firm side). The windows opened which was a nice surprise. We did not use the pool, restaurant (try the local pizza place), fitness area or spa. A couple of things to note: As on 10/12/19 the hotel did not actually run the restaurant, apparently that change is still coming The dining area in the suite does not have any glassware, plates or silverware, so if you bring in a meal be sure you have these. When checking in, we found it easier to park in the rear and enter through the back door There is a resort fee ($10 as of 10/12/19)

"Beautiful property, attentive staff"

3
Debbie O, Neptune Beach 09/10/2019

On the outside looking in, this property is stunning. The faces at the front desk have always been friendly and attentive. However, the housekeeping department needs work. Nothing bad enough to ruin the finely appointed rooms, but consistently lacks attention to details. The onsite restaurant is great, but empty. From what I understand, it is changing this season so hopefully the food will remain just as good. Please note, I gave the above feedback on my most recent post-stay survey and received an email acknowledgement back from the staff. Perhaps I will give them another try on my next visit.

Brandon S, Front Office Manager at Best Western Premier Brian Head Hotel & Spa, responded to this review
Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at our property. On behalf of our housekeeping staff I would like to apologize for the lack of dutiful attention you received. We will be reviewing the housekeeping procedures to prevent such inconveniences for the future. I would also like to apologize for the restaurant, we will be replacing them with our own in-house staff in the coming week. Our hope is that with a more consistent pleasurable experience, we can attract more customers on a stable level. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything else that I can do for you.

"Best Western More like the "Worst Western""

1
909dusting, Draper 07/10/2019

My family planned my grandma's 80th birthday party here. Our room wasn't ready on time and when we went in it had not been clean and it smelt like someone had taken a fresh dump. It was 3 hours later before we had access to our room instead of upgrading us to a different room. The bar was closed, I had to tell the staff on 3 separate occasions to get towels for the swimming pool. There was a restaurant but no waiter in the evening as I went in. I ended up going to the hotel next door to eat and drink. There were several other problems that I do not have the space to write. I will not be staying here again and suggest that if you read this you don't as well.

Brandon S, Front Office Manager at Best Western Premier Brian Head Hotel & Spa, responded to this review
Thank you for leaving feedback regarding your recent stay at our property. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to express my sincere apologies for not exceeding your expectations. While we make every effort to have all of our arriving rooms cleaned before the guaranteed check-in time of 4 PM, sometimes we do fall short of that goal. I am sorry that your room was not available early, and that this caused a wait of 3 hours from the time of arrival to just before 4PM. I would also like to apologize for the sluggish turnaround of pool towels that was caused by mechanical issues in laundry. While this was recently repaired, I can understand the frustration of having to ask the front desk multiple times for towels as they awaited laundry. As for the issues with the food service, we will be replacing the restaurant in the coming week to address issues such as the ones caused during your stay. I am displeased to hear that their management of the restaurant was unsatisfactory, but I am glad to hear that they got you taken care of at their other location across the street. Please excuse the service disparity of their two locations, I cannot personally speak for the restaurant manager as to why such a divide exists. I do hope that you will give us another chance at some point to deliver you a superior experience. As such I would be more than happy to discuss terms of compensation for your issues. We incredibly appreciate your feedback in determining areas of possible improvement.

"Resort Fee"

2
shawn07, Seattle 05/10/2019

I agree the hotel is very nice and many offerings. While this is a Premier property a resort fee is included that is not made clear when reserving the room or even at check out. When I questioned this practice I was told I would get a refund if I was not informed. I provided all information where a resort fee was never identified and no refund. All I ask any hotel is to be upfront on resort fees. Otherwise a nice hotel, breakfast is not included in an area without very many options.

Brandon S, Front Office Manager at Best Western Premier Brian Head Hotel & Spa, responded to this review
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at our hotel. When the issues encountered with the resort fee were to my attention, I offered to remove the resort fee should a confirmation be shown that did not show a resort fee would be included. The total on the confirmation sent to me including all taxes and fees was the exact same total as what was charged in our system with the resort fee included. This reservation was booked through the Best Western website, which clearly states a resort fee is to be included. The resort fee is also clearly indicated on the registration form signed at check-in. We also make a concerted effort to verbally inform guests of the fee at check-in. I apologize that our efforts of transparency did not exceed your expectations. I do hope you choose to stay with us again in the future.

The hotel is lovely with a western flair and plenty of space. The rooms have been recently remodeled. Walk in shower bathrooms. Large rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Be aware that you are at nearly 10,000 foot altitude at Brian Head. We kept hydrated and stayed away from caffeine and alcohol. We really enjoyed our stay.

BW Premier Brian Head Hotel & Spa was a delight surprise! We had not visited the area in many years and were pleasantly surprised to see the growth and sophistication that the area has experienced. The hotel had all of the amenities a world traveler expects at a first class resort. Everyone was courteous and extended themselves to be helpful whenever possible going above and beyond the call of duty.

Had a great time indoors and out, 100% dog friendly trails and resort. The front desk recommended trails and the wonderful restaurant server gave us tips on our upcoming trip to Bali. Great food, excellent accommodation and very friendly staff. The decor was rustic, woodsy and open. Plenty of space with cabin type decor, my pups were right at home here. Due to all the surrounding beauty we did not get a chance to enjoy the waterfall pool and spa, but we will definitely be back to get the rest in!

What a pleasant surprise it was to find this hotel. The room was spotless. The main lodge was roomy and beautiful. I guessed it was brand new, but my husband says it's been there for years. Breakfast was great too. I'll for sure stay here again.

This was by far the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed at. It is gorgeous, and in a beautiful location. The suite was spectacular, and I want to go back to spend more than one night. The ONLY issue we had is with the cooler in the room. I could not figure out how to adjust it, and when I called down to the front desk, she told me to look for the buttons to adjust it (which we never found) instead of offering to send someone up to help us. So, we were dying of heat the whole night. Other than that, our stay was perfect, and again, this was the nicest BW we have ever stayed at.

"Amazing even in the summer!"

drkiki2015, Washougal, Washington 10/09/2019

What a lovely hotel! Though I can imagine what this place is like during ski season, it was perfectly delightful in early September! So many amenities, such as gas-fueled fireplaces outside, complimentary water and coffee, a lovely game room, 2 hot tubs and a beautiful pool. Based on the reviews, we did not eat either dinner or breakfast at the hotel. As others have said, the HVAC is noisy, and we heard footsteps above us, but everything else was wonderful. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the decor is so very appealing. It is just a pleasant place to relax and refresh!

"Nice Hotel mediocre food"

cddogheber, Mona, Utah 09/09/2019

We arrived at the Best Western Premier in Brian Head Utah on Friday September 6th to spend the weekend riding our side by side in the mountains. Check-in was pleasant, the room was nice, the setting and view was exquisite. We enjoyed the fireplace and the rustic look of the room in the evenings, as it was cool. The bed was extremely firm, which isn't my choice of a bed, I won't lower my review for that. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant and were disappointed with the service and quality of food. We actually did not eat a meal in the whole two day visit that was good, except when we were at Panguitch Lake, we had a good lunch on Saturday.

"Great stay!"

Truly a dog friendly hotel which is a very nice change. Had dinner on the upstairs patio since they accepted pets. Great location near trails and all of the activity. Will stay at this hotel again with our pups.

Cozy, comfy hotel & clean rooms...beautiful location...front desk service is great as well as housekeeping. Air units in rooms are annoying & loud...would be nice if they had longer hours for food & beverage service as well as better quality food....had to eat at other venues but overall enjoyed our stay & will be back!

This is by far the best hotel in Brian head. We always have so much fun at this property there's so much to do in the surrounding area. It's so nice to come back to a clean comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. We love staying in the deluxe whirlpool suite. The indoor pool is great with the waterfall and we love the outdoor spa. There's a small arcade for the kids and the lift bar is awesome with the fire pits outside. The staff has always been helpful and friendly.

This lodge is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are gorgeous and each have a fantastic view. We really loved the hotel and can't wait to go back in February. The only downside is that breakfast is not included in your hotel price and it is very pricey in the restaurant. They advertise a Steak House on premises. The restaurant only has 1 steak on the menu. The restaurant pricing was very expensive.

Our company held their annual employee retreat at this wonderful hotel. We were made to feel very welcome, and I hope to return next year. We loved all of the resort/lodge ammenities that this place had to offer. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a great location. Normal room prices looked very reasonable, so I highly recommend to others.

"Really Nice Place"

My wife and I stopped here after a week camping. The desk guy was great and very friendly. The resort was very clean and quiet. May have been off season but was very relaxing. Room was very clean. Outside hot tub felt great. Inside one foamed up too much so we did not get in. We would stay again.

"Good, but they could be great!"

User 26/08/2019

Location is great, be sure to pack food/ snacks, as restaurants are few and far between on the Mtn, and with no warning, inhouse cafe could be closed. Ask for rooms away from bar/ gameroom noise. Avoid the Summit room area as well for rooms. Noisy setup for groups starts early a.m.

"Wonderful place to stay."

The hotel is beautiful and the surrounding area wonderful. The employees are friendly and courteous. The rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant has great food. What more could you ask for? Nothing, in my opinion.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. It is very clean, has a friendly staff, a restaurant and bar on site, a game room, indoor pool and hot tub, lots of parking and a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot in the very comfortable rooms.

"Quiet and pretty"

This hotel was so nice! It allows small dogs, which we took advantage of. It is clean and quiet and is right in the middle of a forest! The second level patio is so cozy in the evening with the big fire pit. We didn't try to restaurant because we had dogs, but the pizza place just up the road is great.

Grabbed a great room last minute for the antique car show down the road which advertised a promo code. I found out after the fact that you need to call the hotel DIRECTLY to use these. I had looked up the hotel on google to see if I could get a better rate than Priceline with code and ended up with a third party that was trying to make money. So call the actual hotel direct to the front desk! Facility was beautiful, rustic and nestled in the trees with plenty of wildlife- especially deer. We grabbed dinner in the restaurant and it was delish. I do not as of now recommend the breakfast buffet. The waitress and cook could not handle the few people there and food was way sub par. I heard by fall the hotel should be running the restaurant and not an outside source but regular meals were good. Facility is beautiful - sweet indoor pool and great jacuzzi under the stars. Refreshments 24/7 in lobby; room had mini fridge and microwave perfect for popcorn, oatmeal and hot chocolate. Walking distance to many hiking trails , Apple Annie's (snacks liquor etc) and close driving distance to restaurants, ski lift, zip line and Cedar Breaks Natl Monument(beautiful!!!!)

Thank you for the kind words and the feedback. We appreciate you taking time to leave us a review on Tripadvisor. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed the amenities as well as the decor. Although it sounds as though you are already well aware of the coming changes to the restaurant, I would still like to offer my apologies for the lack of satisfaction you encountered. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to offer a better restaurant experience. We hope to see you again in the future, please take care.

The normally complementary breakfast will cost you an arm and leg! It is very deceiving how they advertise "breakfast served daily," then charge high prices for it when you go there. The rooms were nice, but having them add a $10.00 per day resort fee is also deceiving as to the price you are actually being charged.

BWP_brandonstevens, Front Office Manager at Best Western Premier Brian Head Hotel & Spa, responded to this review
Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay. I am sorry to hear about your frustrations with the pricing of the lodging and the restaurant. We offer very competitive pricing for our area, we even matched prices that you found on Groupon. We try to be as transparent as possible about the resort fees, and their role as upkeep for the many amenities we offer. I offer my sincere condolences that this did not live up to your expectations. We will also be ending our relationship with the company that runs our restaurant this coming October. Many complaints about their pricing structure, as well as other concerns have contributed to this decision. We hope you enjoyed our staff and amenities well enough to decide to stay with us again in the future. Please take care, and have a great day!

This Lodge is beautiful! Best Western just bought it and before that it was like the main Lodge in Brian Head. So it may be run by Best Western which gives you great prices and fantastic service but you're getting the feel of a private Resort. There is literally nothing else to do in this town so you want the place that you stay to be beautiful and have enough to keep the kids interested. My kids had a blast in the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi which also has a waterfall. They love the game room and the free coffee and water in the lobby meant that they could stay down there and we could too without having to leave for refreshments. By far the best thing about this place is that not only could I bring my dog but she was treated wonderfully. She was welcomed with friendly faces everytime we entered and exited the hotel and she was offered treats. and a water bowl and it definitely made our trip. I will say that my only wish is that they would extend the hours of the bar and restaurant. So make sure you really plan ahead because if you miss that restaurant closing there is no food available in the town not even groceries if it's on a weekend. Adding hours to the bar and restaurant or even a better selection to the Little Pantry they have would make you completely self-sustained at the hotel / Resort other than that I cannot think of anything they could have done better for us. Definitely choose this place!

Hello! Thank you so much for your wonderful review!! Can I just say real quick, that you are amazing! Seriously! We sincerely appreciate your feedback & taking the time out of your busy day to review us. I am sorry however, that you couldn't find anything to do on the mountain! For your next stay, please know that we have many brochures about local events & activities on and around the mountain located at the front desk. We completely understand your frustration about the restaurant & bar. They were a separate establishment whom rented from us, but was not technically affiliated with our hotel. We have listened to all our wonderful customers feedback, as yourself, and decided to let the steakhouse go and bring on a new, wonderful staff, restaurant & bar so they can be consistently open and available to all our guests at lower prices & better quality. We have so many wonderful ideas that we are SO excited about! The new ownership/ management of the restaurant & bar will be in mid October. We hope you will come stay with us again to give us new feedback about your dining experience. We look forward to your next stay & truly appreciate your business. If you want future discounts & promotions, please like our FaceBook page at @BestWesternPremierBrianHead. Happy Travels!

Very nice hotel, but beware that it's at about 9600 feet. Just a little ways from the ski resort in town, but we stayed here in order to visit Cedar Breaks National Monument a few miles away. We had our best sleep here for the first time in a week of heavy road travel.

"Hotel Great... Dinner, not so much"

3
5starmonkey, Las Vegas, Nevada 08/04/2019

This place is a great place to stay... After several trips to Brian Head and always renting condos, the hotel is perfectly located and worth every penny. The restaurant food is 'okay' if you want burgers or breakfast but, the dinner was not good at all. The selections are great but the food comes out bland and overcooked... The Food and Beverage Manager did not seem the least bit interested that we hardly touched our dinner because it was not good yet did not even offer us something else or admitted we should not be charged for the dish. After the Saturday evening experience, we talked to some locals and they all wished it would be better for everyone... I now understand why the restaurant is always empty.

Tami H, Indianapolis, Indiana, United States 07/04/2019

As this was our first trip to Brian Head, we weren't sure if we should rent a condo or stay at the BW. We made a great choice - our room suite had a kitchen table, fridge, microwave and counter, plus a family room and separate bedroom. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful and the entire setting is beautiful. The game room needs a facelift and we did not even use it. The bar area is very inviting (for adults only) and we would have gone there if the kids could have played pool with us. Restaurant experience was lacking but the food was okay (just brought it to our room since we had the kitchen table). Would definitely stay here and recommend this hotel!

"The BEST Best Western!"

5
Sarahy701, Las Vegas, Nevada 02/04/2019

I had stayed at this hotel prior to it becoming a Best Western, and it was so much better than I remember it! The Front Desk agent that checked us in was very professional and friendly. We dined at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, but we not very impressed by the food (I actually became very ill after dinner). We did however have awesome service in the bar upstairs. The fireplace and pool table are great touches when it was too chilly to sit on the deck outside. Our room was a fantastic size, but like others noted the mattress was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The staff has done a wonderful job keeping the hotel very clean and properly maintained so I will definitely be back!

Jose the front desk manager was extremely helpful in planning and confirming my reservation. He ensured all needs were met and that everything was set for my visit. I enjoyed two days at Brian Head Ski Resort. After snow boarding both days, i enjoyed a relaxing evening in the outdoor spa and ate at The Steak House. The Steak House had delicious burgers and perfect beverage options. I'm excited to plan my next trip and would definitely stay at Best Western Premier again.

"Bad attitude and service "

1
tornehaven, Kokkedal, Denmark 14/02/2019

We arrived the 12/2-19 in the afternoon- we were very hungry at went to the restaurant when it opened at 5. We were told by the waiter, that the chef had resigned so no food !!!! The were in the process of getting a new chef and we had to wait an hour. Then on Valentine's Day we went skiing at 10 and hang the sign on our door “please make up room”. When we came home at 12:55 there was a note in our room telling us that the hotel would not clean the room after 1 o'clock!!!! We addressed this to the receptionist who just said that cleaning were very busy, and cleaning has told that they saw the “please do not disturb” sign at the door and their action was to knock on the door !!!! Lame excuse - and if it was right (with it wasn't) why knock on the door when it says “please do not disturb”. So they didn't care at all. It's our third time in the hotel - but it seems that after Best Western has taken over the hotel, service and attitude has a lot to learn. Happy valentines!

Wow, what a place! Fabulous service, beautiful property with many amenities, and impeccably maintained. Lift bar is great fun. Matt, our waiter, was terrific. Emily, the waitress in the restaurant was also terrific. Food was excellent both places. The room was spacious and quiet. The outdoor hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing. Also well maintained. Love the pet friendly atmosphere (though we did not have pets with us). We have been to a lot of ski destinations. This rates up there with the nicest lodges we have ever stayed in. If we go back to Brian Head, this is definitely where we will stay. Will recommend to friends.

I had low expectations and was SO STOKED about every single aspect of this hotel and trip. We arrived during a pretty intense storm so a decent amount of guests that were supposed to be checking out ended up staying but the staff didn't miss a beat. We were checked in quickly and upon entering our room were quite pleased ! Clean, comfy and you can't beat that feeling of mountain retreat. Love We travel with our dogs and you never really know what that situation is going to be like, but there's ample space for them to go, the room was not noisy, nor did it smell like pets . They allow you to leave your pets as long as they behave which is why we ended up choosing this location and I'm so very pleased that we did !! Some highlights were the Staff Onsite bar Onsite restaurant Outdoor hot tub (so very happy ) Daily water, coffee and tea Easy access shuttle Very functional business center My only nit pick is the pillows and bedding ....... In my opinion the bedding should be a better quality and a heavier weight for a mountain setting. The pillow situation is bad ..... and there's no pillow bar so you're just stuck with bad pillows..... Blagh So just pack a pillow and perhaps a nice blanket to make it feel a bit more comfortable.

"Great Family Getaway "

5
jakeinvegas, Las Vegas, Nevada 03/02/2019

Everything about this place makes me happy. From the very first phone call, they didn't have a high occupancy, so the desk agent that was working upgraded us. We checked in late, about 1030pm local time and check in was a breeze. The elevators were very convenient and the luggage trolleys were available. The family suite (1 bedroom) is very large and extremely comfortable. I love the dining room area and remote controlled fireplace. It looks and feels updated from the previous property. It isn't overly fancy but very nice. Great views in all directions and a good location, only about a half mile from the village. I wish the restaurant had a larger selection of menu items. Very pleased and definitely will be back to stay here again.

"Exceptional Customer Service"

We cannot say enough about the extraordinary customer service we received from each and every staff member we came in contact with during our stay. From the front desk to housekeeping; from the maintenance staff to the restaurant staff = absolutely phenomenal. They were friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Brianhead.

"Beautiful lodge near skiing"

5
name_racho, St. George, Utah 03/02/2019

We stayed in the king suite with fireplace and it was more than enough room for my family of 5. It was clean, had enough accommodations for our overnight stay, and it was very close to the Navajo side of Brian Head (less than a minute drive). The hotel is beautifully decorated. The lift bar had a very intimate and romantic feel with an outdoor patio and fire pit. The bar also had a pool table and corn hole game to play. We dined at the Great Steakhouse located in the hotel which offered high end food such as filets and prime ribs priced ($$$$ or on the high end about $40 a plate). For kids, the hotel offered computer games such as Minecraft, an arcade with 2 racing games, 2 arcade games, air hockey, and a claw machine with prizes. There was also a pool with waterfall and an indoor or outdoor jacuzzi, though we did not swim this trip because the pool water seemed a little too cold for our small children. Overall, this was one of the nicest lodges in Brian Head and of the best westerns in the country that I have experienced. I would definitely stay here again.

"Birthday stay"

3
daisylynp, Honolulu, Hawaii 30/01/2019

We stayed here for 1 night. Upon check there are 2 front desk agent, 1 is helping the guest in front of me and the other one is eating while standing there looking at me while I'm waiting. It's a little bit unprofessional to stand there while eating your lunch and looking at the guest in line. I suggest since you're not helping anyone it's better to eat at the back so it doesn't look bad. There are no room slippers available, also the beds are a little hard. The room is clean and the front desk who checked us in is very nice. It's exactly my birthday when I stayed here and my dads birthday 2 days before that, nothing special or greetings even though I told them it's my daddy's birthday when I made the reservation. Maybe those things are nothing to them.

I am definitely coming back here. A last minute ski trip with our 2 young kids and we were all so impressed with the facility and the service. From start to finish, the staff and manager exceeded our expectations. Room requests were filled, cancellation policies were bent due to a snow incoming snow storm, the room itself was clean and very spacious etc etc. and thank you Jonathan at the Steakhouse for being so kind to our kids' food requests! The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star rating was due to the air/heating unit. It's loud and noisy, and we're all light sleepers. Knowing that though, I would still come back here but have my kids layer up for bed time and turn the heat off. Sorry BW!

"Beautiful Property - Reasonable Rates"

5
dilbertdenbee, Nashua, New Hampshire 11/01/2019

My husband had a free night through BW rewards and we could get an oversized room with King bed and fireplace. The hotel is quite close to the Navajo area of the ski area. There is a shuttle provided by the town tthat picks you up at the front door. Room had large flat screen TV with Direct TV, walk in shower with seat & hand rails, frig w/small freezer, Microwave and 2 cup coffee maker. There is a $10 resort fee for for WiFi, and other amenities - indoor pool and Jacuzzi and outdoor Jacuzzi. Breakfast is not included as restaurant run separately. We brought supper and breakfast food but there are other options - small Italian restaurant which is decent, etc. Walls do seem quite thin but we were there on a weekday so not many people and everyone must have been tired and went to bed early. Read complaints about bar. Blame the Utah liquor laws not BW. There is a game room arcade for those under 21. We used out door Jacuzzi as British family w/ 2 kids hogged the indoor Jacuzzi and pool, diving and cannonballing when signs specifically prohibit that behavior. They finally left and we used pool. Breakfast is not included and we brought our own food and beverages. They do have coffee, tea and bottled water in lobby. We each got a grab & go bag with water, apple and granola bar. Brian Head is at 10,000 feet so stay HYDRATED, skip the alcohol & caffeine. Take it slow the first day and you should be ok. Would go back again, weekday rates reasonable. Heated ski lockers, newly renovated hotel are pluses.

"Better than average but lacking"

The 2018 renovation left the hotel looking quite nice and frankly without much competition in the area. The good, very friendly and accommodating front desk staff and service personnel. Rooms are well appointed (we had a king suite), hallways and lobby are nice. The not so great... lunch is not available for dining, breakfast is buffet only and just ok. Dinner was quite good. Not sure why but they have a 2nd floor giant bar, lounge area that looks awesome but due to some new Utah compliance no kids allowed because there's alcohol but in the downstairs restaurant its ok... the bad... the hotel has very thin walls and literally you can hear a modest conversation next door or footsteps above. The staff were very accommodating to us on the issues we had and made up for it accordingly and satisfactorily. I'm not sure we will return but it is a nice place and I wouldn't dissuade someone from Giving it a try

This is a beautiful resort and the rooms were exceptional and very comfortable. Easy access to where ever we wanted or needed to go. We expect to stay at this B.W. again. The staff were amazing with their knowledge of the Motel and what we needed.

Pretty nice place, not what I expected from the website and reviews. May try another place after this. We are the second floor and had people up all night above us and I could even hear their full conversations. The dinner is descent, but kids can't go in the giant bar or patio they can only go in the tiny restaurant. No lunch! Only buffet breakfast $$$ and dinner. No room service... We had our “please make up room” sign and they never came and then didn't want to come because it was 1:00pm. The lead did end up coming and was accommodating and nice! Bare minimum service and only 2 luggage carts from what I saw for a large hotel...kids loved the pool and hot tub, in game room most of the games were broken! Might be worth it to spend less now that we know what we get for the price. Nice view from room and convenient to the ski lodges...

"Rating should be lower..."

2
shaunek2014, Las Vegas, Nevada 31/12/2018

Spent 3 nights.. I had some dissapointments about this place. I need to say first off, drink a lot of water! The altitude can give you discomfort and headaches. Now, for this rating.. I Changed my perspective about Best Western's in general because of my stay here. First, Worst sleep ever. They say they're brand new mattresses but I have to say, they're the most uncomfortale beds I've ever slept on. I actually considered sleeping on the floor. In my room, third floor, you could feel the floor move. Our floor was uneven as well. Kept tripping in one spot. Front desk, Ashley, stated they're trying to get mattress covers 'approved' through Best Western (corp) to improve customer satisfaction. This I hear is their number one complaint. Interesting... Second, kids running up and down the halls is unacceptable (at any hotel). I had been sleeping and woke up to these kids having free range because the Moms were also in the hall talking and weren't observant or respectfull enough to consider all of the other 'do not disturb' signs on the doors... I had to go out and ask them to please stop twice. Cartwheels, summersaults, etc. - I'm not exaggerating either. One Mom said it's only 7:30p! I said in your time zone maybe but not in mine and either way, it's not acceptable! I stated to be respectfull for other vistors! Then I corrected her and said it's 8:42p. I was sleeping because I had such a horrible nights sleep the night prior... Didn't feel I needed to explain myself. Third, NO Room Service is offered. Fourth, the Steak House past main lobby, doesn't let you charge to your room. I had to go back up to my room for my credit card. They're not a part of the hotel. Fifth, last few times I've stayed here, it was a different establishment name (brand). Each place can submit to the state what type of licenses the establishment wants for their customers. The second floor bar area, used to let kids be up there AND served food. NOW, they don't allow anyone under 21. THIS is why I chose this place to stay is because of my (our) previoius experience for kids to go. They had games (pool tables) and other things to keep anyone busy. Plus their menu was good. I personally, did not like that. It's because they serve a FULL liquor bar. UT law is no one under 21 can be allowed IF there is full bar. Over at Giant Steps main chalet, in the saloon they serve only beer ... so kids ARE allowed upstairs. Because of this, the place is packed, understaffed, unequipped to handle the volume... great place to be for families because honestly, you don't have many choices to hang out. If Best Western Premier changed their licensing, my guess is they'd see more sales, happy customers and happier staff because they're making money! Cedar Breaks lodge also has a restaurant (across the way) if you don't want that 'bar' atmosphere. You can drive over or walk. The Pool at the Best Western too, is too small to accomodate so many people. If you are going at a busy time of year, I suggest not even trying to enjoy some play time for yourselves because all you hear is 'Marco'..'Polo'.. ugh... The staff here is really nice. That I will say. I'd give a 5 for that alone. But this rating is in a whole... Every other factor for me (personally) just kept bringing my impression down. I do have to shar that you can buy lift tickets at the counter if you don't want to wait in the long lines at Navajo or Giant Steps. They also have Ski/Board lockers (heated area) for every one. I loved this. They're huge. There is a general shuttle (a few) that runs you too and from anywhere... just let them know where you'd like to get dropped off. Also, this is a PET FRIENDLY place. There is a small daily fee. I could go on with more but I feel you get the point of my visit already. I don't believe I'd stay here again... I almost left after night two..

Thanks for your feedback shaunek2014! We're sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay here with us at the Best Western Premier Brian Head Hotel & Spa. As we state in our website, we are at 9,700 ft in elevation and have already publicly suggested that our guests drink a lot of water and offer other tips for dealing with high altitude. We also offer many medications and herbal remedies in our gift shop for those affected. Our guest's well being is always our number one priority. As to your complaint about the new beds being uncomfortable, we now have very thick, plush, comfortable mattress pads available at the front desk to any of our guests experiencing any discomfort. We take everyone's opinion into account and are always trying to better their experience at our hotel. Each person is different and as some people may find our beds uncomfortable, many find them very comfortable and are very satisfied. We're also sorry you experienced any annoyances in the hallways. Had you have contacted the front desk at any time in your 3 days stay, we would have gladly helped with the noise to better your experience. However, if we are not told of a problem, we are unable to fix it for you. At the same time, we ask that you never get into any altercations with our other guests, especially when they are children. We cannot allow anyone creating a hostile environment for any purpose. Please always go through the front desk at any hotel you stay in. The Steakhouse, in which you are upset that you were unable to charge your room, is a separate business in which is rented out. Our finances are not intertwined in any way. We rent out the space so our customers can have a convenient dining option while staying here with us here on the mountain. As for your complaint with the bar, I will refer you to Utah State Law “Zion's Curtain”. It was not our decision to change any licensing. If you have a problem with the new laws in place, we suggest you contact DABC (department of alcohol and beverage control) to tell them you are unsatisfied with their decisions. Best wishes in your future vacations.

We spent one night at this hotel in August 2018 on a 2,5-week road trip. The hotel was recently renovated, everything new and clean. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant was very friendly. I would like to stay here again for longer time, this hotel is highly recommended!

We booked this trip months ago, and come to find out the hotel was sold to a new company. The attractions why we choose to stay at that hotel were closed, only open on weekends and we were midweek. This was not disclosed on thier website at booking. The room was cute, however the beds were hard. The service was okay, friendly for sure but dispondent and didn't seem to care the hotel was not what was advertised. The Grand Steak House was awesome. Not a huge food selection but it was extremely tasty, and our server Kenny who we had for dinner and breakfast was awesome! I would not say don't go here, it has good qualities and is cute, just call first to make sure everything is open.

From the moment we pulled up to the hotel and checked in we knew it was the perfect choice to call home base while we traveled to area parks. The entire staff at the hotel was warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the outdoor fire pits were relaxing after long days of sightseeing. There was fresh coffee available everyday all day, bottled water to take on our visits to the parks. Would highly recommend staying at The Best Western Premier in Brianhead, Utah to everyone and will stay there again !!

Betsy O, Bountiful, Utah 05/11/2018

This hotel has large and spacious rooms, with a nice bathroom and lots of little items for your use. The rooms smelled nice and they were clean. There is a pool and hot tub onsite and also a small gift shop and restaurant. There is a large 2 level lobby with plenty of seating and televisions, outdoor patio with propane heaters and there is also a pool table and bar. We went during off season and it was very quiet and peaceful. I thought that it was also a great value during this time. A king size room was only about 100.00. It is only about a 20 minute drive to get to the first lookouts at Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Had a great stay at this Best Western. It was off season but I don't think that would have changed the attitude of the staff-everyone was friendly and professional. The lodge has recently been extensively remodeled and in lovely condition. I would recommend staying here.

We enjoyed a night at the hotel. We arrived late in the evening and the staff's welcome was ok, not overly effusive. The location, decor and ambiance are great for a mountain lodge. We would love to be back to take more time and relax.

Beautiful location for an overnight stay. Price was very reasonable, probably because the ski resorts was not open. First snowfall made the stay magical. They had a spa, as well as an indoor pool. Restaurant was available but honestly, I felt they were more convenient than great. But overall, a very good stay.

We stayed here one night as we were travelling throughout southern Utah. What a fantastic little gem this is!! We sat by the outside fire pit for a while and just chilled out. I wish we could have stayed another night and enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was not included but we decided to eat there anyway before hitting the road in the morning and we were so glad we did.

Helene L, Indianapolis, Indiana 02/10/2018

My husband and I stopped at the Best Western to explore the wonders of the southern Utah national parks. Because it was low season, the staff upgraded us to a king suite; small kitchenette, fireplace, dinning and living room, large bedroom and nice bathroom. Unfortunately the outdoor hot tub was closed for the season, as well as the upstairs bar and restaurant. However, I can truly say that this hotel is warm and cozy (limber frame, fireplaces indoor and outdoor ) and the staff is friendly. I will definitely come back.

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The view from our room was amazing. It helped that the leaves were peaking. The outdoor patio with fire pits is breath taking. We ate dinner at the restaurant both nights. Dwayne was a wonderful waiter and our burgers were delicious. The chocolate cake was a treat and definitely big enough to split. It you are looking for a lot of people and activity, off season may not be the time for you to visit. It was wonderfully quiet. The entire hotel felt like a mountain spa/retreat. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

This Premier is under wonderful new management. We went for one night but stayed for two. Best Mattress I've found in any Hotel, Not Concave. Only problem is no sound insulation between floors so go for the topfloor. Huge Gas Fire Pits on Patio at night. Dark Skies with Orion out our front window in the early morning. Excellent, as in Wow! service: We had such a cheerful greeting just walking in the door that we loved the place from the start. We had in the past always stayed near by but this is so much better. The off season rates cannt be beat. And, this might sound small, but it isn't, they had top notch toiletries that did not stink, seriously the best ever and imported from our neighbor to the North, which I was very glad to see. The suite has a large room for a kitchen, 5 place table and chairs, but the cupboards are bear so bring your cups and plates, soap, etc. Really micro-microwave. Big fireplace in suite,

ChickenJim, Huntsville, Alabama 20/09/2018

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting. Room rates in the summer were fantastic. Restaurant was very good and staff was great. Would not recommend staying here the first night if you are coming from sea level since you should be acclimated to the altitude first. Close to the Cedar Break National Monument and only a 90 minute drive to Bryce Canyon NP.

I made a reservation mistake, and had booked the night before unknowingly. The staff was extremely accommodating and was able to book me one of their emergency rooms they had on hold. My night was refunded and transferred to the present days' stay. The room was fantastic and overall building was beautifully built. I loved the design of the interior because it really set the feel for the scenery around you. I went to the dining room for dinner and had a lovely experience. The outdoor patio with the fireplaces was a great alternative to relaxing in your hotel room. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lifeisonetrip, Las Vegas, Nevada 25/08/2018

Stayed here during a recent one night visit to the area, primarily to get out of the Las Vegas heat and to fish in and around the area. Keep In mind that Brian Head is a smallish ski town and summers are not very busy, thus, there is not a lot of things to do in the summer months unless you drive a distance and enjoy outdoor activities. This hotel just recently became a Best Western Plus hotel and they are still doing renovations. The hotel itself is very nice, has a western feel and is clean and welcoming. Room is a good size and had a comfortable bed and nice shower (no tub combo) setup. Our room was on the top floor and was very quiet, but then again, they did not seem very busy during our visit. Ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The menu is very limited and there were only two staff members and one very large party and several smaller parties. Needless to say, the service was slow and we waited for our food much too long. This hotel has the potential to be a very nice hotel to stay at if visiting the area.

We had the most amazing time! This was a last minute getaway for my husband and I, escaping the heat of Las Vegas. First time to Brian Head and were surprised by the low room rates but did not expect the extravagant hotel and beautiful setting! We could tell that so much detail and time goes into the decor and upkeep of this hotel. Everything from the lobby, to the lounge, to our room- was clean, elegant and refreshing! They even have complimentary bottle water! This hotel receives 5 stars for the important details and 5 stars for the little things like free bottle water. We will definitely be back!!

My daughter and I were driving cross country for her job in Los Angeles. We were looking for a comfortable place near Bryce Canyon and were lucky enough to find this hotel. We stayed in six different hotels during the trip and this is the only one that I am reviewing. We had planned to stay two nights but after the first night I extended our stay. Everyone was very friendly. The front desk was always helpful and Dave from maintenance even provided tips on things to do while checking to make sure that everything was good. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The outside deck with the fire pits is a great place to unwind after a day of hiking. Pick-up a bottle of wine on your way up the mountain and prepare to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views.

It was the best hotel we stayed in during our month-long trip to Yellowstone and around. Amazing property. We had 1 bedroom suite: everything was brand new and immaculately clean. I particularly liked the dining area with that big, nice and sturdy table. Fridge/micro/coffee maker. We stayed only for 2 nights but I could stay there forever, I swear. The bed, sheets, pillows - everything was super comfy. It felt like home. The hotel has a nice pool area with a "waterfall" and two jacuzzies (one inside, one outside). Super quiet place, lots of walking trails nearby or even around hotel. Did not use their restaurant, but used the laundry - only two machines, but I was the only one using it. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. Great property. Highly recommend it.

What a pleasant surprise this was; we pass through Utah on our way from SoCal to Wyoming and back. This is our half way point and while it is a little off the beaten path, it is definitely worth the extra mileage. Pet friendly, helpful and pleasant staff and the rooms are beautiful. We stayed here by accident... when our Airbnb host double booked our accommodation next door at Cedar Lodge. We at first felt very put out and inconvenienced, but our frowns were immediately turned upside down when we walked in to the lobby and realized this was way beyond our expectations for a Best Western. The staff, lobby, grounds, rooms, amenities, cleanliness-- wow. It felt luxurious and modern. The location in Brian Head is just perfect for exploring the area and for making a quick, beautiful drive to Bryce Canyon for the day. The only downside was that the gorgeous bar was closed due to (at the time of our stay) them awaiting approval for a liquor license, which apparently can be quite the cumbersome process in Utah. The restaurant does serve alcohol, and of course you can bring your own if that's an issue. Otherwise, I cannot say enough good things about this prooerty.

Laura B, San Jose, California 10/07/2018

We came here on a trip to see Zion. We stayed at this hotel a few years ago when it under a different parent company. They have done a nice job of updating everything and it was very clean. We seemed to be about 1 of 10 people staying there at first so it was very quiet. Service from all of the hotel staff was excellent. We had a problem with the microwave and they sent someone up within 5 minutes to fix it. My tire pressure light came on and I asked the front desk if anyone happened to have a pressure gauge so I could see which tire needed help. The manager went out to his car and let me borrow his. Everyone was friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. My only complaint with the room would be the bed. Hard as a rock and you could feel every quilted bump on the mattress. Avoid the restaurant!!! We went there our first night as we did not feel like driving anymore and thought the menu looked good. It was pricey but we decided to splurge. Worst mistake ever. I ordered the salmon with rice and not only did in not have an ounce of flavor it was overcooked to the point that I had to cut into it with a knife. I think it had been microwaved. My husband ordered the ribs which also had to have the meat cut off of the bone with a knife and he said the sauce tasted like pizza sauce. Only my son's burger and fries were decent. Not $13 decent but edible. I also ordered a glass of wine which we later discovered we were overcharged for. I don't normally complain (a habit I need to get over) but I decided it was too much as we paid almost $100 by the time we added in tip and the food wasn't worth more than the burger. Plus they needed to know the restaurant had issues. I went back to the waiter (who did an awesome job that evening) and asked to see a menu to verify the cost of the wine and then showed him my receipt and asked if I could get a refund and by the way, the food was awful. He was very apologetic and immediately called his boss to see what to do. After a while on the phone it was discovered that it was an error with their computer system. Now apparently the owner's solution was to have the poor waiter give me his own tip money as repayment or I could wait until the next day when they got the system updated and they could try to refund my card then. We are talking $3 and I refused to take the waiter's money as I suspected he would never be reimbursed. In the end since it was just the waiter and whoever was in the back cooking that were there, I just left and we did not return for breakfast or any other meal there. I did complain to the front desk but they said since it was owned by an outside person, there wasn't anything they could do. So, again, beautiful hotel with great staff but stay away from the restaurant. Plenty of other good places to eat up there.

We brought our concerns to the front desk, but I do feel compelled to share our experience here for the benefit of other guests. In short, the restaurant had VERY limited offerings and was not allergen-friendly. The food was overpriced. The server also kept opening a side door to bring in cool air, but everyone in the restaurant was freezing and so we kept shutting it. It was about 50° and raining outside. The food was average quality. The server wasn't rude, but also wasn't friendly. He also said the kitchen wouldn't cut our burger in half for sharing because "the kitchen doesn't cut things." We overheard another waiter being reprimanded by a guest when she asked him a question and he answered her with an attitude. As for the room, we all four felt the beds were stiff as a board, hard to the point that our bodies were forces into a convex position instead of flat. The sheets were scratchy to the point of being abrasive. The portion of the shower that was glass was covered in thousands of water spots. We live in a town with hard water. There are accessible products like SoftScrub that get off water spots. The walls were paper thin. We could hear our neighbor's tv, their child shouting, a dog barking, and in the morning, someone using the toilet. We have stayed at this property several times, and this visit will be our last. Highly disappointing. We were up after a restless night and checked out early.

"Beautiful and quiet"

Traveled June 5 from Bryce Canyon. Arrived early and were allowed to check-in early. They provided an upgrade to the room and it was quiet and wonderful. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. This was during low season, they were clearly remodeling sections but the place was well maintained, looks like a great place to be during the ski season. It was a nice place to stay and rest.

Be aware sometime starting in May this hotel is closing and is converting to a Best Western Premier. We have reservations during the period they have decided to close. They proactively contacted us and have arranged for us to stay at a nearby hotel. They are taking care of us while and somewhat inconvenient they are doing all they can to nor our reservation as they decided to close to speed up renovations as part of their conversion to a Best Western Premier.

Our stay here was the best part of our trip. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The staffing at the lodge were kind and helpful. The lodge itself is amazing. All the different things to do and experience is awesome. Definitely a golden little gem. I hope it stays hidden. We plan on going back for sure.

The cable (TV) was out for over 1.5 days, the rooms were nice and comfortable, there is no food offered at this lodge... That is a huge miss. The staff was ok, the location is good but so are all of the other places that have food as well.

Would highly recommend staying here! The price was extremely reasonable and the hotel was great! We was to tired from skiing all day to enjoy the amenities but they looked very nice. We ate breakfast in the resturant and the menu selection was slim but the food was good. Hotel location from ski resort was very close and shuttle is offered or quick couple minute drive.

"Great Family Friendly Hotel"

While staying here at the Grand Lodge at Brian Head, we were informed that in the recent months that the ownership had changed, and the new owners are doing a fantastic job! Here is how I rated them in different categories: SKI: very convenient shuttle that comes to the front door. Travel time to slopes is under a minute with comfortable seating. STAFF: front desk was very friendly & helpful; have a shovel and windshield scraper for those traveling via car. GIFT SHOP: while there was not a gift shop, there is a spa on the second floor that has cute items for sale. The staff there is super friendly, but I want to note Mikayla in particular since she reopened the spa after hours to help my husband with his altitude sickness by providing oxygen and medicine. RESTAURANT: absolutely delicious! And the waitress was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! ROOMS: Their rooms are very clean, and their cleaning staff is very thorough! Shower has great water pressure, and the faucet water is drinkable! One of the best water I have ever had! AMENITIES: I enjoyed their ourdoor hot tub, especially while it was snowing. And if you are not sure if you should do a massage in the spa, do it! They are very professional and have a nice tranquil Moroccan decor that really adds to the ambiance. The spa is a separate business from the lodge, but they are amazing! The hotel did a great job by having them in there! We will definitely be visiting again! Me and my husband will definitely be returning to this hotel! We highly recommend it!
