Best Western Hotel Braunschweig Seminarius

I imagine in its hey day this was a decent spot. But with no big business meetings to support it, it was pretty sad. The clay tennis courts were in a shambles. Very small rooms. Several things wrong with the bathroom. Air conditioning didn't work properly. Bar and restaurant not open in the evening. Just ok breakfast. Seemed to be light on staff. We stayed 5 nights to be near wedding events so probably won't be back.

I was traveling between London and Berlin. Rooms are very well maintained and clean breakfast was delicious conference catering very high quality been. Overall impression super thank you to all employees

Good hotel not so far away from HAnnover. Checking and checkout is quick. Hotel and room is clean. Nice breakfast with a lot of choice. Area is silent and allows a good rest. Buffet available for dinner.

We arrived and found out that the hotel had a BBQ event and a live band so we decided to partake of this offer. The night went very well a great selection of food and superb service with the manageress on hand to ensure the evening ran well. The next morning however..we came down to breakfast, dirty uncleared tables with no staff to be seen anywhere. Very little hot food, our selections were scrambled eggs or boiled eggs plus a little patty thing, No milk for breakfast cereals or tea or coffee. Lots of kids complaining to their parents about the lack of milk and butter. We went to reception and there was no one there, we had to go to the rear reception entrance to find a young girl who told us all the staff were busy. Eventually after complaining 2-3 staff did turn up but too little too late ques at the coffee machine once the milk had arrived. we left and found motorway services were we purchased our breakfast. For this price, very poor Best Western. I suspect once the manger disappeared the staff stopped working.

I was visiting the hotel during my business trip. The hotel is located in the quiet sorrounding - so for sure this is one of it's assets. There is a Greece restaurant about 500m from the Hotel where you may eat a really tasty dishes. The hotel is clean and the staff is pleasant. The main weakness of this hotel in my opinion is the lack of the air condition - so during the summer months it may be really unconvenient experience. To be honest there are rooms which have the air condition but in my opinion there is only few of them and you may have a luck to have one. Another inconvenience during my last visit was the lack of WiFi - I don't know what the problem was because previously internet was working fine. The food and beer in the hotel are delicions and staff is really helpfull. As the summary I would recommend this hotel for entire year EXCEPT the summer time when the temperature is high and the lack of the aircondition may be a huge problem for you.

I had great expectation based on the info and the pictures from the web site. At first sight, reception area looks a bit caotic. The lift needs urgently to be refirbished. The first room I got had problems to the electric wires (no power on many plugs and lights) so second day they offered me another room. This was a bit better furnished but still very small if compared with the pictures you can see. Sauna was out of order for the whole staying (4 nights). wifi with low signal. Restaurant close at 20:00 (!!!). I asked for a seat at 19:45 but no way to dinner. Crazy also because you are not in the city so the alternative offers are very limited. The receptionist on duty at the check-in and check-out (same person) was very professional and understanding but couldn't solve everything. Pity because I believe it was a great hotel, in the good old days. With minor efforts it can be worth again.

It was a short Christmas Market weekend, and we enjoyed our stay. Staff really friendly, rooms clean and welcoming. We had a triple, room was cosy but comfortable.Hotel is a bit far from Braunschweig, but a good alternative.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip when my usual hotel was completely booked out due to a trade show. The Best Western is in a village outside of Braunschweig but very well connected by the city motorway, so it only took me 15 minutes by car to my office in the city centre. It is very comfortable and clean. Wifi is not very strong and breakfast a little expensive with 15 EUR (I didn't have breakfast here). There are supermarkets and small restaurants close by and the hotel restaurant serves dinner in the evenings (again, I didn't eat here). The room was very bright and quiet. I would use this hotel again, if the city centre hotels are booked out.

We were initially given a room next to the Lüftungsraum which was so noisy it would not have been possible to sleep and should not be used. It meant changing rooms which the reception staff were helpful in sorting out. Breakfast is very expensive so eat elsewhere.

...average. If you're used to four star / luxury hotels it's a bit of a shock, but that's not their fault. What IS their fault is offering no hot food after 21:00 (just what you need after a long day travelling), tiny hot rooms (no air conditioning) and artificial fibre duvets and pillows. Mind you, with the combination of zero hot food and a sweltering room, I probably lost 10lbs so it's not all bad). Yes, very average.

Does what it says on the packaging, there is nothing fundamentally wrong, but nor is there anything inspired. It is what it is. Clean, useful locale, OK breakfast, and parking and wifi. As I said at the start, does what it says.

A three stars hotel that meets the expactations of a traveling business person. Trained personal and good ambiance. Dining area quite cosy and a bar in which big flat screens are waiting to be watched. Free parking place, sauna and gym, clean rooms. The only negative point was the lack of hot water in the shower.

Me and my partner have being staying in hotels all over Germany for the past few months for his work and this is the worst place we have been! On arrival the place looked lovely and thought we would have a enjoyable stay. Got to the room and it was small and cramped although clean. We went to the bar for a drink and I asked for a rose wine to which the bar man laughed and then began speaking to other Germans knowing I couldn't understand. Made me feel stupid and belittled. The following day we went back down for 2 cokes, the same man seen us coming and walked away from the bar and never returned. Another man came and eventually served us. On the Saturday night there was a party in the restaurant and the music was blaring until after midnight with girls running up and down the corridor laughing and slamming doors! Then the Sunday night there was more loud noises making for 2 restless nights in a row. My partner told the woman in the morning we would be checking out early because he had not enjoyed our stay after paying good money, she laughed and then said 'ok bye'. I would strongly advice if you speak English do not stay here as they cannot be bothered with you at all! My partner let's his work know of good places to stay for the other colleagues if need be, and he will tell them never to use this hotel!

The hotel's 3 stars completely matches the level of comfort here. Average price, average rooms, average comfort, but it IS a good stay in the suburbs of Braunschweig. The room I stayed in was rather small, but with a good modernised bathroom. Also, breakfast was beyond my expectations: a lot of food and drinks to choose in the early morning. Positive: free WiFi in all hotel rooms, good breakfast, lots of parking space, very neat bathroom, good price/quality ration. Negative: Outside city centre, outdated rooms, rather small rooms.

Stayed there twice for a few nights. There is no additional charge for parking and there is plenty of parking spots available. The rooms are OK nothing special. I couldn't find the advertised pool when I asked I was told that it does not exist any more. The breakfast is very good.
