Best Western Hotel Braunschweig

it was a business trip for 2 weeks, cleaning is not on the level, also heating was very poor. staff were friendly, but cleaning, internet and coldness very disappointed me. also rooms don't have a fridge

Hotel is in good condition, personal is reachable on any time. Parking lots are more than needed avaiable, Bus and Train station are 5min away. City of Braunschweig is reachable in 10min by Bus, Train oder car.

We booked the BW Plus Stadt Palais hotel but when we arrived we learned that that BW was closed and so they booked us in the the BW City Hotel. The names are confusing. We did not pay for breakfast which was good since they were not serving much. We just had 2 twin beds but they were comfy. The room was very comfortable with the best AC on our whole trip. It also had a small refrigerator and kettle to make coffee. We had a room on the back which was very quiet. Even though the bar was closed it would have nice if they could have provided ice.

Good Hotel not too far from Wolfsburg, the reason of trip. Small restaurent and small menu, bt well cooked steak. Being in German hotel I would have liked more choice but it was ok. Helpful friendly staff, football on TV so great. Room was clean, fine, comfy bed, reasonable Wifi. Bathroom good.

had been there the second time. Liked the room in the maine house much better than in the "appartment wing". The service is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed okay. Only the aircondition is a little bit loud and when I stopped it, a few minutes later run water out. Shouldt be renovated !?! The Restaurant was closed because of renovation, but I got a very nice pizza for a low price and a beer for free. I will come back next year to visit my friends in Braunschweig :)

Me and four more colleagues stayed at Best Western for one night. To two colleagues received room keys for rooms that were already occupied. Very embarrassing. In my room I had no water and I needed to call the reception at 23:30. Keeping fingers crossed that I can have a shower tomorrow. The room phone was also not working. Never again....

Owing to bad weather, I made an unplanned second two day visit here...Further to my previous review, I had a large room at the front corner of the hotel,not in the " apartment" wing.This was even better,with a bath and a full length bed. I enjoyed my breakfast as much as previously,and the staff were just as friendly.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night on business. I arrived at 12.30pm and was charged €15 for wanting to she k in before 2pm! Really surprised have never paid extra to check in a little earlier before...the room was ready so the charge was totally unreasonable. There are no lunch facilities at the restaurant and no room service so I was directed to a little bakery down the road. The room was fine for a 1 night stay a little small for €130 but clean. I wanted room service for dinner as I was working in my room...the attitude I got when I requested room service was shocking! I was told that they only had 1 member of staff working in the restaurant and it would be difficult. He then huffed and puffed when I told him my order and practically hung up on me! I was so upset to be made to feel like I had done something wrong! The breakfast of €11.50 is not great value (better off going to the bakery). No one was around to serve me and tell me where everything was. I just helped myself to a continental breakfast. A small selection of hot items but not what I would expect from a Best Western chain. Overall really disappointing.a lot of money for very little

Property was neat and clean. Hygiene was good. Location was also good. 10 minutes drive from Braunschweig Hbf. Rooms were congested. Barely any space left for walking in the room. No room service given by kitchen. For Indian/Asian Visitors, please note still water is not available for drinking. You are advised to carry either bottled still water from the market or use tap water for drinking. The water provided in the room is aerated water which is not as per our taste. Also, smoking area is right next to entrance gate. This is horrible for a non-smoker visiting the property. Vegetarians do not get ample variety for breakfast. Needs lot of improvement. No channels in English language on TV, except for one/two english news channel. Double occupancy room is provided with a single queen size bed. Beds were also smaller as compared to standard queen size bed.

Good hotel. Rooms, bathroom, etc good quality. Breakfast and food offering was good quality. Staff friendly and accommodating. Generally nice and quiet location. Price slightly more than I'd expect to pay but not extortionate.

Chose this hotel because it was a little out of town and a Best Western but a little disappointed. The comfort room was far from that with very little floor space and only one chair. The bathroom was adequate but the towels were very small and thin. Breakfast was adequate but was soulless and strangely laid out. Having said all this the reception staff were very friendly and helpful A taxi to town was around 15 Euros but a 15 minute walk took you to a tram stop where a day pass for 2 could be had for just over 6 Euros with services every 15 minutes most of the day and every 30 in the evening

The hotel is far from the city centre. The room are very old, missing of most of the comforts. No soap for the shower ( it has not refilled for two days), no phone and the service at the reception quite unprofessional. Definitely no recommended it.

This hotel is away from the city center in a quiet residential neighborhood. It has sufficient parking and free WiFi. On the other hand, the room quality is below average and there are no soap or shampoo provided in the room. The staff at the front desk was surprisingly unfriendly, rush and had very poor knowledge of their work.

We stayed here on our way to Austria. The price is very reasonable, rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast by far surpassed our expectations. -and the staff is super friendly. You are even allowed to make yourself a sandwich for the road at no extra cost. Wifi is free and super fast.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. The hotel served its purpose; rooms were a bit small (but not the smallest of rooms) but I got sleep. Bed was pretty comfortable though. Bathroom was very small and there were no extra toiletries provided; plus a weird blue lighting in the bathroom. It also seemed older and a bit outdated. But it was clean; if you just need a place to sleep, this place does that job.

This hotel on the southern outskirts of Braunschweig is perfectly OK, if you only need a place to sleep. The bed is comfortable, but the rooms are small, and rather basic. Breakfast is also OK, but the location is at least 10 minutes from the center of town so the location is not great. We found a nice park to run in close by though.

Hotel is out of town. Staff speak good English. Breakfast is very big and good. Beds a very good. Minus shower needs cosmetic fixes and they need to add new adverts as we had coffee stained ones. Water in the room is free. But why leave only sparkling water. Prices is high as small hotels I have been to have done more better standards.

Stayed here only one night, but room was ok with a good price.Comfortable beds.Modern bathroom. Free WiFi who worked very well. Breakfast was good with bred rolls and everything you need for a good breakfast.

Stayed for 3 nights during a motorcycle trip in the Härz. We were allowed to park our motorcycles in a safe place in front of the entrance. The hotel/restaurant staff is very friendly and helpful and spoke German and English. The (bath)room has a modern design including free WiFi (for 1 device per room), flat screen TV, loads of storage space but no air-co or (mini)fridge.

Stayed here for one night on returning to Holland from Gdansk ,really comfortable bed but room was a little on the small side ,Great shower (really powerful) meal in restaurant was excellent ,I got a free "coffee to go" when I checked out which was a nice touch

The hotel is in a nice area -towards Mascherode. It is located near 431 and 411 bus lines, but one can reach the Train station by foot in ~30-40 min. If traveling by bus and staying in Braunschweig, I recommend buying from the bus-driver or from the Trainstation office a 10-ticket (zehner-karte): they're actually 10 bus tickets, but at a bit lower price - 19EUR in total. Coming back to the room....all good but very small - barely could walk around the bed. The bad thing was that they had no fridge... I understand that they want people to go to their restaurant, but I couldn't match the program. For me the lack of a mini-fridge is a big thumb-down. Since the weather in Braunschweig is rather cold I put the few things i bought on my way to the hotel (from Lidl and Netto) on the windowsill.Not nice at all. The room doors had a tricky locking system too - I had to pull the door while trying to open/close the lock. As the wifi is concerned....very poor connectivity.
