Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre

Room 204 a had strong smoky smell. Found out there is a smoke pit directly outside of this room. Ceiling light and bathroom light were connected on same switch, so couldn't turn on bathroom light in the night without waking up my family. Room next to use was extremely loud all night. Not ideal for travelling with a 4 year old child. We booked 2 nights and checked out after 1 night. Hotel staff would not switch our room, as apparently all other rooms were full.

Very nice hotel that was very busy . I only needed a bed for 1 night on my travels. Diamond member business traveler that uses this and other BW locations around the Ontario province. Had some booking and check in issues but all resolved

We stay at this hotel at least every other month. We love the service we get. The rooms are clean and the pool is warm. Plus a fulfilling buffet in the morning. When visiting Brantford or the surrounding area I highly recommend this hotel for accommodations.

We travel to Brantford monthly and only once did we venture off from Best Western and immediately regretted it. Absolutely love our trips there, zero complaints. Friendly staff, clean rooms, the pool is very nice also!

Fun time at New Year's Gala. Excellent buffet. Top of the line music. Delicious breakfast buffet. Clean and comfy room. Staff is friendly and capable. We'll be back at for New Year's Eve in December of 2024!!

The stay was very pleasant with minor glitches. That was resolved by the front desk. Staff was very friendly and polite. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable. On site restaurant staff very friendly, polite and knowledgeable, food portions were excellent and fairly priced. A pleasant stay just off the major Roads

Looking for convenient location and perhaps being watchful of winter weather the Brantford location was a 1 night stop. Old property that has changed banners over the years but still maintains a good standard

They charged my credit card an extra $100 then my bill. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please do not waste your money. I'm not sure how they stay in business. There are much better hotels in the area.

OK, it's right off the highway and next door to a Home Depot, so expect a scenic view of a windswept parking lot when you get to your room. The decor is '90s-meh, but it's clean and it looks like the staff is working hard to keep it so. You get a microwave and a fridge, so leftovers. Also a modest coffeemaker. The hotel is big maze, so it's easy to make a wrong turn. We ran into other guests who had also lost their way, but it doesn't take long to figure out and, yes, there are signs with arrows and numbers that we somehow missed. There's a little elevator for those with creaky knees. Restaurant cuisine is a cut above, especially the free breakfast buffet. Points off because the restaurant was unexpectedly closed during the evening on two of our four nights in town. How about a sign at the desk or on the door? It's only minutes from downtown Hamilton, Lion Safari and the air museum. Mall is essentially across the street and there are lots of restaurants nearby. But the restaurant-lounge has the best food in the area. Kudos to Emily, our server at breakfast, Chuck the handyman who was pressed into service to deliver an extra blanket, and Kim at the front desk who gave us an entertaining explanation of the hotel's Gretzky obsession. Would we stay here again? It's clean, convenient and the price point is right. So, absolutely!

It was clean and the front counter personnel we very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast had a good variety although the eggs were cold and the home fries had been there quite a while. They also had a lot amenities that we didn't use but were available.

This room was great- super large jet tub, fireplace and vaulted ceiling The bed was comfortable and room had everything we needed He walked through the hotel and the standard rooms are average so pay a little extra to upgrade

Breakfast should be available on your room. Laundry area needs updated. Dryer not working well(old) Does not tumble or dt well. $6.00 to not completely dry clothes. Strong aroma of Marijuana being used near our room somewhere. No screens on any sliding doors. Washroom doors ont alow you to enter and close door without door in the way. Bathtub not draining(reported and fixed) Pool not monitored but it is very clean and beautiful. Balconies could use a bath. Air Conditioner works but not very cold. Elevator is far down a hall and the door ways are obstructed and very tight to get through. Ice and beverage machines make going through doors very tight.

Nice comfortable rooms. Arrived early and informed that our room was not ready till 3pm. Hung around till 3pm and told room still not ready. Then was informed that a similar room was ready and would that do. Why have us wait when a room was available? After a long day traveling I popped into the Bar to check out the menu and it was closed. I asked the receptionist when it opened and was shocked to hear that the Bar and Restaurant were closed on Sunday evenings . The hotel is no where near any facilities. Their website advertised Restaurant and Bar facilities and this was the reason I chose it. It did not state that no facilities would be available on Sunday evenings. I would not have selected this hotel if I had known this. There are other hotels in Brantford which have catering facilities on Sundays. Not impressed.

We had an excellent time at the Best Western. We all just needed a brake from " life" as we've had a very hard time this year. We had a great time the staff was friendly, the room was clean. The beds were so comfortable and pillows were top notch. The indoor pool was very clean we had a good time playing around and swimming in the pool. We will certainly come back !

The room had the scent of cheezy feet. It was super dated. The sliding door wouldn't close to properly lock it. Felt like a super shady place to stay would not recommend. The breakfast was alright. The beds were OK

Absolutely the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Hotel staff would not address our complaint at all. Absolutely the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Hotel staff booked a swingers group in same section area of hotel as families with young children. The group posted inappropriate signs on outside of doors in hallways. Front desk was advised several times but didn't address the issue. Although we were told the signs were taken done by several of the staff.

Really great hotel to stay at, very happy with everything and one thing I noticed is there is a lot of security cameras in the parking lot which I really liked ! I will definitely be staying here next year !

The hotel was overall great! The restaurant had amazing food for dinner, service was awesome. Rooms were great, we had a family suite which our kids just loved as they never had bunk beds in a hotel or their own TV. Pool had way too much chlorine, could hardly breath in the pool area, it burned the skin, we didn't last 20 minutes at the pool which really upset our kids.This hotel could benefit from someone who knows how to properly maintain pool chemicals.

Stayed at Best Western for the weekend for my sister's wedding. The stay overall was enjoyable. The breakfast was very good. Rooms were nice except the floors had an odor. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We went down for a Baseball Tournament and it's wasn't a far distance from the diamonds in Ancaster. There was a ton of businesses around the hotel. Didn't get a chance to enjoy them..but maybe next time.

Our options to find a place to stay were limited because we were travelling with 2 medium sized dogs. We were pleasantly surprised with our clean room/beds & Myra's Restaurant & Lounge. Good to have a nice meal without having to leave the building or our 'dog'thers alone for very long. Thanks for making travelling with pets so much easier.

Booked ahead through Best Western, delays at check in due to computer issues, then did not get the suite I had booked. Was given a lesser suite which was eventually discounted after I pushed the issue.

We were here with our soccer team. We ordered pizza from the team menu and had a blast. Kids loved the food and playing in the pool. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Don't forget to stop by their restaurant. The food was delicious.

I reserved a family suite and it was like a small apartment - two self-contained bedrooms, each with its own TV, plus there was another TV in the living room. The bathroom had ample supplies - lots of towels, etc. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and really seemed to like their jobs.

Great hotel with multiple facilities to stop after working trip from Windsor on route home . Wide choice of comfortable rooms. Good for families with pool and outdoor play equipment. In house dining saves going out in evening

Despite being a Rewards member and frequent guest at this hotel, I am consistently given horrible rooms. Most recently, room 258 - farthest corner of the hotel - next to the pool, hoards of kids running around. The room smells of stale cigarette smoke. The air conditioner sounds like a very loud leaf blower. The bathroom is tiny . The bathroom door opens inward and only clears the toilet by inches. Attempts at requesting a better room in advance have so far been unsuccessful. The cost for two nights in this shabby hotel was almost $400.

One elevator In some areas luggage must be dragged up the stairs. Groups of teen boys yelling and running around hotel. Pulled the fire alarm. Chaperones not around and management did nothing. Hotel shabby.

checked in late 02;30 after long flight , given adjoining room with very noisy neighbours that started early and continued. great selection at the breakfast buffet although coffee was cold. serving staff were very friendly

The staff were great but the amenities were questionable. First night I awoke to noise disturbance and a police wellness check next door. Switched rooms again and again because the door wouldn't lock.

I stayed for 5 nights for work. The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, everyone was very helpful. I found the pool and lobby area was always clean. My room was serviced daily. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back again.

Need to clean and increase temperature of hot tub in pool areas. Breakfast buffet need plant-based choices, better standard food. TV service poor, programs freeze constantly, need to repair. Restaurant lunch and dinner food selections and quality good. Rooms clean and comfortable. . Courteous and helpful staff.

Once again attended the New Years Eve Gala at the hotel. As always the food and entertainment was excellent. Prime rib, stuffed pork loin, fried chicken, smoked salmon, scallops and the list goes on. The disc jockey eyed up the attendees and played music suited to their Era. A great time was had by all.

They added so many chemicals to the pool and hot tub, it was completely unsafe, and continued to add chemicals while the hot tub was in use. Sitting in the room affected my lungs and stung my eyes. Don't eat the scrambled eggs. My room door didn't shut properly always, others had issues with their toilets working, shower wall wasn't clean. Beds were very comfortable.

Smelt like b.o. very strongly . room stunk an tried to cover it up with cleaning products ( it didn't work ) the ventilation was very loud none stop . There was m&m chocolate in corner an nail clippings

Hotel has gone downhill over the years. The pool was cloudy and the hot tub had a grimy foam ring around it. Got a lecture on how to work the remote instead of replacement batteries or working remote.

nice and clean rooms all the amenities work great.very spacious always at the right temperature. balcony with chairs is very convenient and comfortable. overall I will always refer this hotel to anyone visiting the brantford area

This hotel needs to have a deep cleaning!! Inside and outside. The toilet was dirty, the bathroom fan did not work and the patio door was almost impossible to open. Not sure why there are good ratings. I won't stay here again.

the staff was rude and they did not have the room ready on time. when we questioned why the room was not ready again they got very rude with us as they did when we inquired about the deposit. we will never stay there again and i have to give it one star but i would not even give them that

Great service all around! The balcony rooms are awesome. Morning coffee on the balcony is an added bonus! Kayla in tge restaurant is such a sweetheart. Love her personality. Front desk and housekeeping staff were wonderful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Will be back again someday!

The hotel rooms seemed very rundown. We had to move rooms because there was a smoking smell. Also, the halls seemed dingy. The room was ok, but needs updating. The restaurant and service was great for dinner. The complimentary breakfast was a buffet. People were not sanitizing, very congested. Not a great idea when Covid is still running rampant. I would suggest a served breakfast of your choosing.

4 nights paid $544can with no maid service, expected to go to front desk for clean towels,ect, then told to dump the wet ones on the hall carpet. Day 2 no water. Room carpet stained. Bathroom had skunky odor. Would not recommend this hotel.

Just not clean. Outdated not enough plugins and what was there was over loaded...the staff at the front desk and restaurant were excellent We ordered a beef dip a burger poutine and onion rings all were excellent. The restaurant offers to call our room when our food was ready Very prompt service Reception staff on check in were very accommodating Night staff were wonderful. When we returned that night I couldn't find my room key. The gentleman issued us a new key right away no questions asked

Smelled like cigarette smoke everywhere, our room included. Sometimes with whiffs of marijuana. Made me physically ill after two nights. The carpet felt dirty upon arrival. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. The pool was dirty and I did not feel comfortable letting my son swim in it. Cigarette butts all over the parking lot. Very noisy air conditioner, had to turn off to sleep. The breakfast was mediocre. Would not recommend. I feel like I can still smell cigarettes. It was that bad.

Was expecting a nicer visit to be honest. Got the upgraded room but it wasn't worth the expense really. Nice if you need just a comfortable bed for a night or two but amenities are nothing fancy. Was clean and functional.

Room was clean, hardwood floors were nice. Pool area and outdoor park/play area for kids were good. Breakfast buffet included was nice as well. Main reason for 2 star is smell in hallway. Odour embedded in carpet and walls when leaving room very hard to ignore.

Asked for a pet friendly room to bring our small (25lb) dog. No carpeting in the room, furniture was mismatched and seemed to be the cast offs from other renovated rooms. Our other family members had nice sofas and a fireplace. Not us! And we were charged an extra $30 dollars for the privilege. Mattresses were lumpy and room was either too hot or freezing. And the air conditioner was so loud that you could hardly sleep. Also, my mother is 91 and has trouble with stairs. There is only 1 elevator in the whole building by the lobby which was at the other end of the building from her room. Who knew that you had to ask to be located near the elevator?

Average room which was fine. I wasn't impressed w/ Guests garbage left in Hallway & floor needed vacuuming. Breakfast was good & offered healthy options. Restaurant staff friendly & personable. Good location off highway.

Hotel is located in a great location close to the highways. Check-in was quick, the desk was polite and courteous. The room, while not too fancy, was very roomy and had a fireplace, even though we didn't use it. Bathroom was spacious, all amenities worked well and the room as well as the grounds were clean. All in all, a good stay.

The rooms are nice, shower works great, beds were comfy. Patio door was broken but had a “bar” to secure door instead of look. When we arrived, there were garbage bags sitting outside our room - hallways look old and dirty - entrance “B” secure lock did not work - we could walk right in. Hotel room doors loudly slam shut. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were great! Breakfast - although great hot choices, mediocre at best (but it is free) - leave a tip tho! Definitely has more of a motel than hotel vibe but overall had a good experience.

This hotel is by far worse than you'd imagine. To start I travelled with two young children. We arrived and the front desk was not very friendly. We get to our room and almost pass out from the awful stench. My family said the fitness room was even worse. It made us actually nauseous. The room is seriously outdated. The sheets were actually dirty. Plus two bath towels for 4 guests. I called front desk and someone arrived and tried to pass me linens. Um no not a chance I'm going to do your job. Then he asks if I dirtied sheets?!! It was an hour after we checked in. Cut to the next money I shower and the towels are all stained. Just super gross! The ac was loud. The remote did not work. The bathroom door touches the toilet when you open it — super cramped. Lastly the food was not good. The buffet had no bacon. Undercooked sausage. Servers didn't clear buffet plates or refill drinks. Big letdown! The supposed park outdoors had random shoes and looks like a place people use to take drugs. I would not let my kids even go on anything. Overall a waste of money and a terrible sleep for our family.

At check-in, the staff person was indifferent. Our room was tidy but tattered and worn. The breakfast was disappointing. Sausage undercooked, no milk for the cereal. The home fries were good. Was there for a tournament and then kids enjoyed the pool. I don't expect luxury at a Best Western, but do expect more than what this one provides.

A great place to lay your head. Rooms were clean, hallways were not. Court yard was perfect for our group of u10 baseball families. The pool is a good size, so is the hot tub, if you can't stand to be in the awful echo , please invest in some sound proof, the echo feedback is awful when the pool area is busy.

We were on a "road trip", staying in multiple locations. The Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre was amoung the best of our stops. Beautiful location, large clean rooms,helpful staff, good breakfast. There was not anything else we could have asked for.

We traveled 6 hours for our son's wedding and checked in a few days early. Due to the timing we asked that 3 other couples also attending the wedding be allowed in out room to change if their rooms were not ready for early check-in. I left a detailed list at the front desk. When they arrived they were told by the staff that it was not possible to get into our room and that they had never heard of us and had no idea what they were taking about. This caused a LOT of unnecessary stress. Arriving for a wedding with no place to get ready! Unnecessary! All the staff had to do was look at the list I left for them. Not happy with this type of service.

We booked a hotel block for my cousins wedding and everyone was very accommodating and lovely! Breakfast was good and there was a lot of selection. I also was very thirsty and the front desk staff provided me with water in the middle of the night! So lovely.

Rooms could be updated, patio door not in the best condition. Hot tub could use a better cleaning. Overall stay, staff was kind and accommodating. Breakfast was hot, plentiful, but only allowed 1 drink. I would definitely stay again with my family.

I love this place im a business traveler Comfy rooms good amount of space Love the restaurant! Complimentary breakfast is excellent Only issue is front desk wont answer the phone tried 5 times over two days to call front desk from room never answered and made me walk down each time My assistant tried to book me into this hotel twice so far before this this month via phone and couldnt reach anyone over multiple days so i got booked into other hotels b4 this month Also I asked front desk for more tea they said they let house keeping know a day later the friendly housekeeper and I chatted and I got my tea but only because I went direct to source So in short nice hotel great resteraunt Front desk needs work and as an owner id be annoyed they wont answer the phone so people can book rooms for multiple days or get something as simple as tea without the customer hunting down housekeepers direct

Excellent place to stay, with great service, and great location. We would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in Brantford, Ontario. This hotel has been refurbished, and it is very modern

Dirty room and no service blamed on COVID. Sad this is when you want rooms to be clean and offer cleaning to them. Other hotels in the area do, when we complained it was turned aside again blamed on the pandemic or the long weekend. Brutal downgrade it should not be a part of the BW chain

I was a bit hesitant as I'd read quite a mix of reviews. Honestly it kind of sounds like people are talking about two different hotels. But I'll say my experience was lovely. I do wonder if the Gretzky wing is just very different than other sections of the hotel. Either way, I was in the Gretzky wing. It was completely quiet. The room was very very clean. The only thing that felt out of place was the shower curtain which (although clean) seemed a bit long in the tooth and in need of a replacement. It only stood out as the place was quite immaculate otherwise. The bed was very comfortable. I could see some people finding the heating to be a bit loud, but it certainly didn't bother me in the slightest. I also appreciated that the air was not too dry. The reception staff were extremely friendly. I also had a meal at the bar. Certainly nothing fancy, but very cosy and the two servers were very welcoming and attentive. It was a lovely experience. I wish I was staying more than one night, and I'd definitely go back if I'm in town again.

We had a great mini getaway. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was provided portions were a good size. We also had dinner at Myras also very good. Pool was nice and warm we we likely see you again.

good value and centrally located. very good breakfast included. fitness room and indoor pool. Restaurant in the hotel offered good lunch and dinner options. close to shopping and the highway, tho' there wasn't much noise at all. Hotel was great for us as we were visiting family in the area. We had adjoining rooms which made our stay with granddaughter a fun time for March Break

Great hotel with awesome staff. Will stay there and or use banquet rooms at every opportunity. The restaurant/lounge was comfortable with food being great. Waiters and waitresses do a great job. Lots of parking and access to entranceways.

Place could use a makeover or Reno. Potential is there as the staff are good, housekeeping was great. Check staff hiding in back. Not much else to say on this property except staff should not smoke be entrance, just a bad look.

Staff was wonderful and rooms were very clean! We had a great stay. Our training facility was just up the road so not only was this hotel convenient, it was the perfect stay. Kudos to the staff of this Best Western.

I stayed at hotel with my German Shepherd, as Reno's are taking place at home. Working out of room as well, no issue with wifi. Staff are wonderful & extremely helpful. I have retuned again for another few days with my dog. Thank you all.

I want to thank Divya on Wed Feb 2 and Feb 3, she took care of my reservation and was so helpful and accommodating. My room was exceptional. Clean, comfortable on all levels. The pool was a welcome surprise. Having the opportunity to enjoy a hot breakfast complimentary was most enjoyable. My server Brenda was most attentive and remembered my order from day before. My husband and I visited this hotel during the last weekend of January 2022. We booked a Jacuzzi suite in the Gretzky Wing. Only guests of room in the wing have access to it. The room was HUGE! Both the extra large jacuzzi tub and king size bed were very relaxing. Due to Covid restrictions, we were unable to use the gym, pool area, or restaurant. We would like to return to the hotel at a future date to use these amenities. The hotel did provide a "Grab and Go" breakfast consisting of a piece of fruit, granola bar, and breakfast egg sandwich. Something to be aware of....the room keys stop working at 11:00AM on the day you are checking out. Overall we were very impressed with the hotel and found it very reasonable for the price.

I had one of the BEST solo nights of my life here in Brantford at the Best Western. I went for a 2 hour swim and hot tub experience and I was the ONLY guest in there at the time. It was magical. Joanne and Ami were spectacular ladies that welcomed me. My room was gorgeous with a whirlpool tub. I went for some ME time and I told the hotel that I was noise sensitive and they put me in this magical land called the QUIET ZONE! I've never been in a hotel that had this. WOW, you could hear a pin drop. I loved it. I had a fireplace and a king size bed that was so comfy. I LOVED the outside too. So PRIVATE. I would go out and smoke a j and there are 5 big pine trees and 4 new picnic tables and you feel you are out in nature. They have a playground for the kids. I saw no kids, so I played for a bit, haha. THANK YOU BEST WESTERN for one of the BEST nights of my life. YES, I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE and if you really want a peaceful night to yourself, like I did, the whirlpool tub rooms are GREAT for mothers/fathers who need a break. The ONLY aggravations for me, were due to the covid protocols that I know are in place everywhere. Maks...showing vaccine status is NOT cool and I will be back when the pool opens and I don't need to wear a mask.

Was here for a conference at the centre. Food was delicious, lobby is nice and internet was good. Not super clean rooms, but not bad, spacious at least & coffee machine/fridge but hadn't been vacuumed well in a while. The pool was closed and the gym had 6 pieces of equipment half of which were broken with some cobwebs and animal poop in the corners. It's a good location - 15 min walk or 3 min drive to mall/shopping. Would stay again.

Room service for cleaning not good. I had to replace towels myself.I left sign on door for cleaning by to no one cleaned room. Cable TV was the worst. No Netflix, HBO, basic channels only. If you have to spend any time in the room, make sure it's to sleep only.

The hotel was a decent stay for the price. The only issues were the pool was not open and the fire alarm went off between 8am and 9am. I wanted to sleep in because I was away from my children. Will stay again because was a good value.

Great place to stay, close to stores and restaurants. Found the room very clean and comfortable. Extremely friendly staff, and it's really nice to have a cost friendly restaurant inside to sit for breakfast or your other meals. Would definately book again.

We recently stayed at the Best Western in Branford and found the room to be quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The wifi worked quickly. The breakfast was okay given the Covid-19 restrictions.

Very convenient location with malls and stores close by for your comfort, Excellent and friendly staff at the restaurant and the hotel. All the highways close by for travelling. Very clean and tidy all around the property.

The good: Bed was comfortable Room was affordable Staff was friendly Check in and out was quick and efficient The bad: The hotel was much dirtier than I remember. The bathtub wasn't clean, the bathroom floor had visible dirt smudges on it. The entry way had dead bugs and spiders. There was garbage in the hallway that our room was located in. I assume it was due to reduced cleaning staff because of Covid.

Have staid before and will stay again had a noise issue with the plumbing when the persons in the room next to ours's showered at 4:45am it sounded like they were in our bathroom - first time for that ball teams staying in the hotel so hallway noise level was high Pool was closed :(

First Paul the GM at check in super friendly and welcoming. Room 143 was great for the dogs. Disappointed in double beds and they weren't comfy. Patio had cig butts on it. There should be ashtrays on patios for smokers. Or cleaning staff should be attending to this pre check in. Rooms and hotel was clean. Disappointed pool not open and breakfast buffet at restaurant was not a great selection. We had a voucher for $4.95 reg price was $10.95 def would not pay that price. Lots of free parking and green spaces for pups. Our shower didn't work and we had to be moved which was a huge inconvenience. There should be maintenance staff working Saturday mornings. Perimeter needs more poop bag waste bins.

Decent hotel, good rates. You probably only have three choices in town, this is the best. Hope you like giant pillows, they don't have the wafer thin ones I like. Clean rooms, great staff. They really love Walter Gretzky and there is a picture of Herb Tarlek (rip) in the lobby so that is cool.

I just stayed one night at total Bill $172.00 . I asked hotel to borrow wine bottle opener but hotel said they don't have it. I have to bring wine bottle all the way to Bar area. It is really unpleasant incident as I never had problem like this at other hotels.

Stayed here alot never had problems maybe a small one but staff fix it or solve it fast can't say that I ever had a bad room and stayed in alot of there rooms never really had bad sleep bed have all bin pretty good

Overall cleanliness was very poor. I reported the television broken the male the staff working said he would come look at it . He never came. I was very dissatisfied. The toilet look as if po was in the bottom of it the shower had grease in it from someone else shower

I stayed here during my recent business trip. I had to self quarantine for 14 days. The hotel staff were excellent in tending to my needs for services, food delivery from Myra's Bar & Grill (instead of prepaid meal plan). Once out of quarantine, the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. We booked several meetings there and the arrangements were excellent as well. Services were limited due to COVID understandable. Hotel is dated, but the staff maintained it well and made the stay exceptional.

So many Ants ordered pizza and fell asleep woke up got pizza open it up and covered with ants was totally disgusted with this. You think since the hotel was empty they would put more Emphasis on a clean hotel but no barely any staff working

Really close to the 401, this Best Western offered all we needed for our stay. We were there during Covid but found the staff very friendly, up-beat and informative. The restaurant's take out was delicious and ready on time. We will stay again.

First time in a jacuzzi room. Absolutely worth it! Had a great stay. Keep up the good work, BW! Now I'm typing simply because the site wants at least 200 characters. A couple more sentences and I should be good to go. There!

This BW is located perfectly for anyone's needs. Very clean & friendly hotel, and restaurant staff. The room had all the amenities required for a longer stay even during the Covid 19 pandemic. Lots of parking and having a sliding door entrance was a bonus with a pet.

Great value and comfortable and clean. There was a nice little seating area outside the room . The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely choose this hotel again. and plan on in the fall months.

We stayed there recently on a trip to see family. I reserved ahead of time, which made check-in quick and convenient. We got a free upgrade to a beautiful room with whirpool and fireplace. WHOOHOO BUT, they didn't tell us that there was no housekeeping due to covid (which I can understand). So after 2 days with no fresh towels, I asked at the front desk and was then informed, that we just leave them outside, and ask the front desk for everything. Sheets, towels, garbage bags, etc They don't do anything until you check out. Would have been nice to know this when we checked in, so we could have been prepared in what to do. I still have to contact them, as they charged me the upgrade rate, instead of the rate I booked it at, as I didn't request the room the gave me, they upgraded me for free.

Had planned on spending one day but our apartment was not ready when we arrived so we ended up staying 3 nights. The staff were great so was our room. The breakfast left a bit to be desired compared to the other BW we stayed at but was still tasty. You get a breakfast sandwich (egg or sausage) and a drink.

Stayed for a month in room 127 in April 2020. At best western brantford holiday inn drive. Paid monthly rate $3,000.00 tax incl. Not much of a discount during covid 19.No pool, no hot tub and no fitness room due to covid. Price of stay should of been reduced. That was the best price that they could give me. Making Huge profit from me during covid 19. My review of hotel is below standards from other best western hotels that I have stayed in. Hotel gone down hill when I used to stay when it was under Kirby Management. Sliding door windows dirty. Filter on heaters were dirty. Dusty under furniture. Furniture not moved for vacuuming. Found Change behind dresser. My room cleaned once a week due to covid. Carpets should be carpet extracted for deep cleaning. Outside sliding door. Loose stones had beer caps and circarette butts. Slide door has a week security bar that could be lifted from outside. Didn't feel safe in room. Curtain for sliding door had a hole. Mattress had a big stain in it below mattress cover. Asked cleaning lady about. She made the bed on top of it. Bath tub and sink clogged up. Should be cleaned by maintenance once a month. Bathtub has water damage and rust marks from hinge on tile floor. Saw bugs coming out of the hole. Where there's water damage there mold. To replenish things for room such as towels garbage bags and coffee was a struggle. I spent $3000 At hotel and the hotel was trying to nickel and dime for basic complimentary necessity. I would be bugged by a phone call after my initial request to front desk. From hotel management staff wondering why I was making the request. Hotel was very cheep when it came to this area. Not happy about repeating myself for request. Complimentary breakfast always running out of things such as yorqort and muffins and granola bars. Grocery stores are still open. Cleaning staff not wearing mask and gloves to clean room. Front desk people were good to deal with. Management was another story. Left messages at front desk for manager 3 times. Regarding flat rates and checkout times etc. Manager never responded to my emails request. Very disappointed he or she didn't have time for a paying customer. I get it sometimes your busy. But not for a whole month. Manager too busy hiding in his office. No Ethernet cable access to room. Only wifi. I asked house cleaning to have pillow washed. They said they don't Wash pillows I was waking up stuffy. Comforter on bed was old and crusty.. I asked to have bed mattress vacuumed. They don't do this. It should be done once a week. Housekeeping did It because I requested. I question the cleanliness of the rooms. Power bars are used in the rooms for lamps and tv. Hydro code violation. One electrical receptacle missing a cover plate in room. Noticed on the external walls electrical wires sticking out with electrical Marrette connections exposed. Should be put in weather proof box. Electrical safety authorities And building inspectors should be made aware of this unsafe facility. I can only imagine how many things they find wrong. Laundry room dryer vent not vented outside. Vented inside dryer room. I turn on the dryer. lint was hitting me in the face. Business area Computer in hotel didn't have chair for it. With other hotels to pick from in brantford. I will be researching other hotels. the way the hotel is managed. Should be questioned. Monthly price for hotel room is morally wrong during covid 19. Especially when government is helping businesses ☹️

no breakfast... no one there when checking out.. and gave us a a room beside someone with a crying baby all night... nothing explained at check I jst gave a key.. and been a week still no return on my deposit..not happy..

Despite very trying conditions, the hotel was up to its usual high standard; staff very helpful and friendly, and breakfast provided even though restaurant closed for health reasons because of coronavirus.

We had to travel for someone dear who had passed away. The Best Western Brantford made our stay perfect given the COVID 19 issues. They made sure that we were "isolated" and were very comfortable. All our needs were provided and we felt very much at home.

Good value hotel for price, comfortable beds, good internet , excellent breakfast selection, friendly staff, central location with easy access to all areas in Brantford. Ample parking to accommodate conferences. Regards Dave

From entering the hotel we were welcomed by extremely friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent bar and restaurant areas. I cannot fault our stay. We will definitely being staying there again.

This hotel is right off the highway which is handy for travel. You can not hear the highway from the rooms. It is horrible looking on the outside but do not let that fool you, the inside is nice and well maintained. We had a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out. It was plenty big for our 4 children. It included a fireplace and a fridge. We did not feel cramped or that the room was too small. The bathroom was clean and in good repair, and also a good size. The pool was good, not great as it is dated, but the kids enjoyed the pool, the hot tub and the sauna. Breakfast is amazing, it is buffet style and included. The staff was wonderful. We asked to be away from noise of the hockey teams and on the top floor and were acccomodated with this request. My only advice is to be aware that the keys were a problem. We had to go to the front desk 7 times to fix demagnatized keys. That was not so great.

Close to every thing you need either walking or driving distance whatever you desire. Friendly staff. Dont stay anywhere else. Right off the main highway. I'm sure theres other nice motel in the area but BW is our choice

The reviews of theirs in Brantford made me cautious but the reviews for Best Western were most positive. So we stayed and were not disappointed. Add me to the positive reviews, clean, friendly, breakfast was excellent with option for fresh cooked as well as choose your own. All staff helpful and friendly.

Stayed for a conference and banquet - we loved this hotel last year when we stayed, but this year was a different story. when we walked in the room smell like body odour, there was an inch of dust and hair behind the doors. Everytime you closed to the door you had to slam it to get it to close, so not only did it wake up everyone in the room, but all the rooms around us. as soon as we got in the room i got two notifications on my phone from my credit card - they had authorized my credit card twice for the full amount, and twice for the security deposit. I went down to the desk and showed the authorizations, the man on the desk basically said that that's impossible, you aren't charged until you leave. i returned with so apparently my credit card is lieing that you authorized twice the full amount!? I had to wait 4 days for the authorizations to be returned. I would have been fine if they had a reason for why they authorized it twice, instead of basically calling me a liar.

This place is wonderful. The staff goes out of their way to give you what you want. They do have long corridors so if you would like to be near the front ask and they will do their best to accomadate. Highly recommend this hotel when you are in Brantford.

Excellent service, excellent restaurant, pool facilities excellent. Rooms starting to get a bit tired but very clean. Parking excellent, location extremely good, easy to access. Excellent facilities for business meetings or large social events. Staff very accommodating.

This is 1 of the nicest hotels for the value of your money. With breakfast included you cant go wrong. They have 1 of the nicest pools, hottub an sauna, an even a kiddie pool for people travelling with toddlersl. Will definitely be back. Next year We hold our Holiday party here, so the food is great with lots of variety.

Very nice clean hotel close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was helpful and polite. It was a busy night because of a hockey tournament, so lot of rooms were booked. We did not use the pool or hot tub because of all the children in the hotel.

Amy made sure we had an accessible room that was spacious for our daughter who uses a walker. The room was clean and in a quiet wing of the hotel. Breakfast was complimentary with many choices available.

We were very pleased with the service and rooms where clean can't wait till this years event you get your money's worth. Food was great lots to choose from breakfast was delicious had a little trouble with the heater but they gave us another room right away and a $10 gift card for the restaurant thank you.

We arrived early on the 24th but were allowed to check in immediately. We then met family for lunch at the hotel ordering from the menu and some having the buffet which was very good. We stayed in the Gretzky quiet zone and it was very nice and quiet .We stayed two nights and then checked out on the 26th. Check out was quick and efficient.Staff were wonderful and pleasant.

I have several food-related sensitivities to additives and preservatives that cause me headaches and congestion, so my food choices were limited for breakfast. I elected to eat my other meals elsewhere. The exercise room had been cleaned with scented products, so was unusable to me. Even though they stopped using these scented materials when I expressed concern (on day 1), the exercise room was still unusable for me 12 days later. Staff let me move weights and a mat to a meeting room for my workouts. All staff members in all parts of the hotel were exceptionally helpful. My room was comfortable, clean and very enjoyable. I will return to this hotel on future trips to this area. The only other issue is that the room price increased significantly on the weekends.

This hotel was great for a group. We had almost the first floor. Staff was great even with all the kids running around. The buffet breakfast was amazing and it was included in the price! All in all a great place to stay!

A really comfortable place to stay in Brantford. The room was a good size, with Microwave, fridge and good wifi. It had a small sitting area, where we could look out over the grassed areas and a balcony for when the sun shone. Breakfast was amazingly good and the restaurant also served some good meals. All in all a very comfortable stay and easy access to the freeway and about an hour from Niagara.

The Best Western & Conference Centre in Brantford is a terrible hotel property. The overall hotel needs a total renovation~ it is a very old Holiday Inn that hasn't been upgraded for over 20 years. The guest rooms are very basic...very old furnishings...no new tech enhancements (ie usb charging options). The entire room hasn't seen and upgrades for at least 10-15 years based on my experience staying over 85 nights per year at different hotels over the past 12 years. I was excited about the pre-registration and advance check-in which I completed. Overall my check in experience was the same with no time savings at all! I also was pleased to see that you were offering to make requests in advance. I requested extra towels and bathroom amenities that didn't arrive at all. Stayed here for a night while on business. Front desk staff were great. Received a good room upgrade to a suite due to my Diamond Select membership. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Didn't use the pool or Fitness Centre. Only real negative that knocked off 2 points was the fact that I call to inquire whether I had left something in the room, and was transferred to a voicemail and did not receive a response. Fix that problem and I would not have hesitated giving a 5-star rating.

Great place for a weekend stay. Clean and comfortable, very reasonable prices, breakfast included and close to everything including the highway. Restaurant and bar on the premises, parking right out your door can be arranged.

We stayed here in July of 2019. The hotel was clean and the room was pleasant enough. The beds were comfortable, but the small pillows were like sleeping on lumpy rocks. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the food was better than average. I would recommend the hotel, just bring your own pillows.

This was the HQ hotel for the convention. The Hotel provided wonderful service for our convention activities. The in-house breakfact exceeded our expectations. The food at the restuarant was very good (although food delivery time was a little slow for our table of 11 early Saturday evening). The function room my group booked for a "Hospitality" Suite late Saturday night was very good. .

a group of 3 buses came in for a scheduled lunch as part of the package deal purchased. one of said miscommunications experienced was that a slice of lemon pie was placed at every seat setting; we were advised by a greeter from BW that we would have a choice of dessert from the choices available on the dessert tray in the grand ball room. a second miscue involved on replenishing empty food trays. some salad trays were not replenished when my wife came to the self serve line which happened to be toward the last 10 persons from the 3 bus loads that came.

It was our first time at this Best Western. We were impressed by the very well cared for facilities. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. I can't remember getting any finer complimentary breakfast than that provided at this BW hotel.

Stayed in the family suite with a set of bunk beds in one room and a king size bed in another. Great lay out and loads of room. Only complaint was the tub was loud if running. Shower was perfect and things were clean and comfy

I recently booked a room and stayed at the Best Western in Brantford on a whim. What a night! The bar was set up for hockey fans early but later it became quite a ridiculous environment. A construction worker returning from the casino with a fist full of cash was three sheets to the wind drinking Patron. He devolved into the worst type of human being propositioning me in all kinds of inappropriate ways and making a complete fool of himself. I was embarrassed for the man and for the bar too. They did absolutely nothing to shut him down even though he had clearly drank too much. Because he was spending money he was King of the scene. A scene that I did not choose to be a part of. Very disappointing.

I booked a suite for my niece for her wedding night in 2018. I called to ask if I could put wine and flowers and decorate the room for them. Due to the privacy law, it wasn't allowed. I totally understand. They offered to do a package for us - amazing! They arrived to their honeymoon suite - with nothing extra. So I complained. The compensation was to make it right for their one year anniversary. Great! Guess what happened? They arrived for their anniversary and nothing..... My niece called me to find out about the 'special package?'..... nothing arrived. So she called the front desk....and so did I.... They finally sent wine and cheese, 2 years in a row now and they did't get what I booked. Foot note - we give this as a wedding gift because we spent our wedding night there.

Booked online, was really surprised when we arrived, Pictures look better then the real thing! Description is accurate, but photos look better, Old hotel that has been updated,(but not everything) room is quite beat up, very small bathroom with mold in the corners. Patio door, that doesn't seal properly and single pane glass, dirt/mold all around frame, Can hear every car to drive up, Fridge and air in room quite loud. Yet can still hear everything in the hall and neighbours room!! Restaurant for breakfast has been good. As have staff, very friendly, and helpful as room keys keep losing their ability to open room! (No not by my phone). Likely would not recommend staying here, the price does not reflect the hotel, Not a convention hotel

arrived here for the night with wife to sleep while we did a road trip of provincial parks in southwestern ontario. Breakfast was good with a wide range of hot items , food was very tasty Did not try the pool as we arrived late and left early

Very nice layout with easy room access from several entrances from the parking lot. Important when you have lots of luggage. Very cool wall of pictures of famous people who have visited the hotel, likely due to attending Wayne Gretzky fundraisers or playing at local theatre. Nice lounge with outside patio and all employees were very friendly and accommodating. I stay in lots of hotels nationally and tend to stay at higher end (more expensive) hotels, so I was very pleased with this hotel décor, layout and amenities for the price. Not a lot of options in the Brantford area, so this must be the best hotel in the region. My only issue was the bed was a double and I'm somewhat spoiled by typically staying in hotels with queen size or king size beds, but it didn't matter once I nodded of obviously.

The hotel & rooms where clean and the staff was wonderful. The breakfast had a lot to choose from, and was very good. We would stay here again. We did have a little trouble at first opening the door, but the staff gave us a new set of card key, and they worked great!

Best Western rarely disappoints. Clean rooms and amenities. Friendly and helpful staff (restaurant, front desk, sales). Our group stayed here 4 nights and were hotel pleased. Other than the hotel being quite busy (and loud), with tradesmen having tailgate drinks and wedding guests roaming the halls, it was a successful trip. The bathrooms could use a new paint job. My bathtub didn't drain that fast so I ended up treading in watch as I washed myself down. One night (Sept 14) after a 12 hour day we decided to order take out food and bring to the hotel. Adam the night manager not only allowed us access to a clear boardroom, but set ya up with plates and napkins. What great service and care from both Adam and the front staff that night! We greatly appreciated! Thank Again!

Was pleased with balcony with the rooms. As non smoking policy with most hotels the balcony was great and would stay again. Rooms clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was great. We only have great things to stay about our stay at Best Western, Brantford.

This was actually a medical trip. With worry about medical, staying at this Best Western lessened our anxiety immensely. Peaceful and Quiet, the outside view of the courtyard relaxing, the delicious buffet breakfast and very courteous staff. Thank You

Stayed at this BW for 2 days in early September. The hotel had many extended stay guests who were working nearby and who arrived, each night, in their rooms at midnight and were noisy and disruptive until 4 am. The front desk sent security to tell them to quiet down, but that didn't stop them from being disrespectful idiots. The walls in the room are PAPER THIN. You hear everything- very clearly. I've never stayed at a hotel where you could hear SO much of what was happening all around you. If you require a measure of peace or quiet- avoid this hotel. Never Again, BW Brantford.

This hotel was very large and had many rooms and the rooms were also large with a fridge, sitting area and desk also. the breakfast was awesome and had a large selection of items with a omelet station.

Staff was friendly. Food was excellent. Room was clean. Any concerns or needs I had were met above and beyond expectation. Fitness room was excellent. Location was close to all amenities needed. Would return again. Not a five-star but certainly a good 3 to 4 star average hotel.

We recently stayed at this property to attend a nearby wedding. It is located immediately adjacent to the 403 highway. We found the lobby and the staff very pleasant and enjoyed our 3 nights there. Their free hot breakfast is the best we have seen in a long time; it is simply outstanding and the wait staff just marvelous. Our room was spacious with a queen bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and even a fireplace. Good bathroom but would recommend adding grab bars in the shower tub combination to prevent falls. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and the rooms. We noted a pool, gym, and many meeting rooms available for conventions.

Would use this hotel again. There was plenty of parking, our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great especially the egg omelets. Lots of water pressure for showers and the pool was clean with plenty of towels. Staff was friendly and very helpful

Nice motel got a king room with couch, for an older motel it is kept in good shape, room had fridge micro and coffee clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and nice. Breakfast was great with a person cooking eggs the way you wish, good selection came with stay, breakfast staff were friendly would recommend this motel.

We purposely booked this location because of the bar and restaurant open 7 days a week. My parents and I were attending a memorial event for my brother who died last year. We were looking forward to a relaxing drink in the evening when we returned to the hotel. We then found out the the bar and restaurant were closed because it was a holiday Monday. I've worked within the hospitality industry for over 20 years and hotel food and beverage outlets DONOT close, especially on a holiday. We were extremely disappointed that this was the case. We will be returning to the Brantford area on a regular basis and will definitely be looking to see what the competition offers. The rooms were fine, clean and perfectly acceptable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

They neglect to mention the train tracks hidden across the street behind the buildings. If you are a light to moderate sleeper make sure you are not on the side of the building where the tracks are. You will hear a moderate rumbling as if a washing machine was in the next room over. A/C unit was subpar and along with the train waking me up at 6 am in the morning my fire alarm went off at 7 then again at 8 then stayed on for over an hour.

Stayed only one night, my friend booked online no issues, checked in easy enough, friendly staff, lots of parking, long walk to room around back of building but ok, room clean and tidy, good shower, good king size bed. Next day walked to front desk area to get breakfast in dining room, greeted by staff, shown the buffet, taken to table, eat lots, good food, check out easy enough.

Exremely expensive for the quality of room you get. Halls are old and faded, light fixtures missing and duck tape on the door latches. Rooms were decent, nice bed TV etc. The bathroom was clean but you could tell minimal effort was taken renovate it. Buffet was brutal. Food was bad. Cold, stale, cheap. Staff was very friendly and help though! All in all not a horrible stay, but you can certainly get a higher quality room food for much less than $180 a night! Lower your rates and it would be more reasonable for the stay.

Hotel staff is top notch. They responded quickly to an issue with my door. Breakfast was awesome. Room had a weird smell to it, it definitely needs updating. Can't close bathroom door without snuggling up to the toilet bowl! (hahaha)

Great hotel, staff, nice clean spacious rooms, breakfast, Restraunt, comfy beds, and pillows, nice pool and hot tub, and great location. We stayed in the newer section. We will definitely consider staying again.

All of the staff were outstanding during my 4-day stay. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Brantford, close to all major roadways but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Many TV channels to choose from and the Wi-Fi was great. I ate dinner in the restaurant and always enjoyed my meal and room service. My room (203) had a nice little private balcony that was hidden behind mature trees which made it perfect to sit out on at night without feeling like I was on display. Great coffee in the morning to grab before my meetings and the public areas of the hotel were very clean and nicely updated. Beautiful outdoor patio off the lounge was perfect for an after work drink and the staff are so friendly and helpful! I will definitely come back! I liked having both a mini fridge and microwave in my room but wish they provided complimentary water bottles in the room and included a make-up mirror in the bathrooms. Overall a great value and enjoyable stay.

Hotel was very clean exceptionally front desk was very welcoming and warm the layout is excellent to get around this place was just awesome all the combinations for right at your fingertips beautiful work out room beautiful pool clean friendly service food was okay and other economies were close by

They have always gone out of their way to accommodate us. Room is clean but the bathroom counters could use upgrading, but no big deal. Ask for a room close to front because this hotel is big and has very long halls.

Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and willing to help. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was nice temperature for the kids. Little playground in the middle was a nice touch however needed to be cleaned up a bit. The breakfast buffet was great with a lot of great variety, and was included in the African lion safari package. Location was right off of the highway and very close to the safari. Overall experience was good.

The check in was fast, friendly and even though we had a minor glitch at check-in the desk clerk was very accommodating and took care of the problem immediately. The server staff was awesome at breakfast and the breakfast was a feast. The room was clean, and comfortable.

I've stated many Best Westerns that are Conference Centers and the one in Cornwall is probably the best. This one is by far the worst. Half the room smell like stale cigarette smoke, the food is atrocious

Friendly service all around,,, very rare you will get amazing service and good food at hotel, At Myras you do!! Keep up the great work! Further more the concierge went out of her way to print directions to the place I need to get to.

This was my second time staying at this location. Rooms are clean and comfortable, pool/fitness center are well maintained. The complimentary breakfast buffet is probably my favourite part though! Excellent service.

I left my toiletries bag hanging behind the bathroom door and they kindly and promptly mailed it to me. Super nice people! The hotel has lovely grounds which made walking my dog a nice experience. And, yes, they do allow dogs.

Seems to be a newer or remodeled Hotel. Breakfast selections were many, made-to-order omelettes were wonderful. Room was very clean. Only issue was how long it took to fill the whirlpool tub, low hot water flow.

Great staff, hotel and stay. Truly enjoyed my experience at this hotel. They are minutes away from everything a person would need, great restaurants, mall, theatre, big box stores. Hotel has a wonderful restaurant, pool, patio and gym. It was nice to make this my home away from home.

This Best Western has great staff, rooms, excellent breakfast at Myra's restaurant where we also ate a great dinner the night before. We were tired from our day of traveling and visiting African Lion safari with our grandson. Having the restaurant right there with an excellent simple menu and kids menu was a relief to not have to drive any where else. We ate, swam in the pool, played on the play structure and then had a great sleep. Breakfast is also at the restaurant and had hot and cold options including made to order eggs or omelet. I would definitely stay here again.

Spent a weekend in Brantford and stayed at the Best Western. Check in was fast and courteous. We had a spacious ground floor room with a patio. The room was large, but the bathroom was tiny and the decor looked like was stuck in the 90's. The best part of the stay was the bed that was super comfortable

1. Purchased the Lion Safari package -- not much of savings, but this was literally a last minute booking and I was not thinking much 2. Arrived 2 hrs early and they let us check in, issued us the safari tickets (3 month valid), and $20 vouchers for the in-house restaurant 3. We used the vouchers at the lunch buffet -- limited spread of delicious food and desserts. Restaurant crew was friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed our lunch. 4. The 2Q suites are a little far from the lobby, and they have only 1 elevator. 5. Big hotel room with a lot of space. The loveseat opens as a sofa bed -- though the booking agent was unaware! Smallish bathroom, but very clean. 6. Breakfast was better than any (US) hotel I have had in the last 5 years! Of course, this was our first time in a Canada hotel other than the touristy Niagara! 6. Nice indoor swimming pool, ample parking, helpful staff -- overall a great experience.

I stay here frequently when traveling for business. Each time I'm still surprised by the friendly service and high quality. The beds are comfortably, clean, and the next best thing to being at home. The restaurant and lounge is top notch!

Only stayed for one night but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was great. There was a combination of hot and cold buffet style food (eggs, sausage, home fries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc) as well as a made to order section if you wanted your eggs done a different way. The room was clean and comfortable. There is an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as a 24 hour fitness centre

Perfect room for unwinding from a long week, would go back for a night or 2!!! Very relaxing. Next time I will be checking out the bar and restaurant. No noise in the hallways, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable!!

Didn't start out well. Room was at very back of motel and needed your room key to enter hallway. Room keys would not work. Front desk said they were de-magnetized. Room very average. And couldn't stop toilet from running. They didn't have anyone on staff to fix it so we moved to another room. That toilet wouldn't flush but my husband was able to jingle something to make it work.

Everything was good.. and all staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy. Restaurant food was good and worth the value. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional - much more than the usual you get at most hotels!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel,the room and the staff were very helpful .we used the pool and hot tub and love it.The location was perfect only five min from the Casio.The hotel parking was good easy access to our room

Very clean & spacious rooms. All staff was very friendly. Front Desk staff Rick & Madyson were very helpful. Breakfast was very good too, lots of choices. It was a busy weekend with teams with young kids..would have enjoyed the pool and hottub when it was quieter. Overall a great stay will be back soon.

We were traveling in the area and needed one nights accommodation and chose this hotel for the family suite. Although it was large enough the kids complained that the bunk beds were uncomfortable. The hot breakfast included was great as they even had a cook to order egg station. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

we have going to this pool for weeks now and the hot tub has being out of service in one way or other the floor has not been clean in 4 days but we pay for a full year and have place go until the year is up we just have to put up with it but you don't have too

The hotel is fine, the pool is adequate, and the restaurant serves some half decent food. That being said, if you don't want to sleep in the middle of a house party then don't sleep here. We stayed in the main area on our first night and it was loud, filled with drunk teenage hockey players being ignored by their parents, until 2:30am. Our second night we were moved to the quiet wing. There was nothing quiet about it. If you want to sleep with large groups of overindulgent teenagers partying all night without supervision then this is the place for you. If you don't, then you should avoid this place like the plague. Just don't.

We were not told about needing a deposit until arriving at the hotel. Couldn't use the pool area because there was so many kids and it wasn't properly maintained. The hallways were crowded were so many children and parents drinking we had to ask them people to move everytime we wanted to leave or get in our room until the manager came and cleared them after we called and complained...they had no idea it was even happening.

We were there 2 nights this past weekend. When we arrived we were given a room with that smelt like strong cigarette smoke, also the patio door was broken and was letting cold air in and would not shut. We were then immediately moved to another room, but put in between a block of rooms from a hockey tournament. It was an exhausting stay, we called down to the front desk 4 times about noise complaints. These guests were rudely letting their children play hockey mini sticks in the hallway untill 2am. The parents were loud and drinking and not supervising their kids. The hotel sent up a security guard, who did not rectify the issue, and the general management was not able to do anything about this and the noise was not controlled. I was very close to calling the police. The room was in rough shape we stayed in. The bathroom door knob fell off, and the bed was uncomfortable. Also the hotel staff let parents of the hockey tournament in the pool area with booze, and the pool area became a zoo and parents were not watching their children. It made it an unsafe environment for my kids.

I forgot something in my bedroom and the housekeeping service just doesn't wanna have anything to so so they just say they didn't find it. I'm disapointed and find that really cheap. Regarding the room it was ok but unplug the fridge, super loud.

Went for a hockey tournament with a group. Paid $139/night which I felt was pretty steep. The room was OK but they need to clean behind the dressers and beds - peeling paint and dust back there. The kids loved the pool but don't look too close at it. If you do you'll see the 'skin' on the top of the water composed mostly of body oils and hair - nasty. Maybe get a better skimmer.

Firstly, everyone member of staff i met, you could feel they liked working at this Hotel, which speaks volumes to me. They feel like a family, rather that individuals and all departments work together. Had to travel alone and away from my wife for the first time in 23 years. would have been harder if not for the staff that looked after me. some amazing people there. Front desk, best welcome ever and so helpful with advice on getting around the area. Housekeepers were so friendly as well and also very knowledgeable on area so please, take the time to ask them anything and they will help you. Management went out of their way to make time to sit and talk. cannot say enough how much all staff helped me. I have even kept in touch with some of these great people and look forward to returning very soon. Great Hotel and although i ate at some roadhouses in area for 2 days of week, best service, food and best evenings i had, were in the Hotel Bar/Restaurant (Myra's) highly recommended. Even if you drink/dine alone, you never feel it as the bar staff are so friendly, you feel like you have known them forever. (kinda fun to hang with as well) Mornings were great, swim in the pool, followed by a good breakfast with many options on offer. See you again soon with my family :)

Stayed here - Tyke hockey tournament in St. George. Great location. Staff very patient with many requests, as well as our kids taking over the Gretzky wing. We all had a great time! Also, renting a hospitality room & having the pool for our entire team to use, was awesome! Would definitely book here again.

We stayed after a long business day and were mighty glad to find a very comfy room and Queen bed with great pillows (A king was booked which they got wrong , no matter). The room was quiet and the breakfast was one of the quickest and best. Very fresh food and choice of buffet or freshly made. The only downside of this hotel is the odd design. The elevators are no where near reception. The stairs are slippery laminate and the room was over 100 metre walk. However the staff were friendly and there was ample parking around back

It's a nice hotel with great rooms in the Wayne Gretzky wing. But the factor that makes this hotel the best in town is the employees. Everybody go out of they're way to make you comfortable and feeling like at home. I have stayed more than 20 nights there and I haven't been disappointed once. Keep up the great work you are all doing!

I would not recommend comming to this hotel.it's too much money for what your getting. The food is over priced and terrible. Nothing was working in the hotel the vending machines, our keycards, the internet. I love kids but there were kids running around every where and when we went in the hot tub. They were all slashing and swimming we couldn't even keep to ourselves.

You can tell customer service is the main focus at this Best Western. We have never had such an amazing overall experience and we travel a lot! The manager and staff here were always friendly and accomodating. The value we received for the price was more than expected. The breakfast buffet included with the room exceeded our expectations with the endless amount of options and omelette station! We will definitely be back.

We were booked for two nights (two nights was a minimum stay to receive the group rate, despite the fact we left after the first night - but that's a different story). Located just off the highway on the outskirts of Brantford, this middle-of-the-road hotel had all the basic amenities and quality of service expected of a Best Western. One good highlight was the complimentary breakfast - one of the better ones offered, with made to order omelets and all varieties of hot and cold items - go early if on a weekend or holiday, as we were waiting at least 30 minutes in line to get into the eating area. The bedding was clean and comfortable, but as is the norm, with hockey tournaments in house, the thin walls were definitely not enough to filter the chatter and boys playing in the hallways until late at night. A basic stay, but a solid mainstay for hockey families.

I will admit, the outside of this hotel needs a revamping but once you walk through the doors it's great! Friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms, great food ! The bar was comfortable and roomy, the photos on the walls in the Gretzky section were great for any hockey fan.I'll definitely stay here again!!

Between the loud heating/cooling system and the train tracks across the street couldn't sleep a wink. I couldn't figure out why the room was shaking throughout the night. It wasn't until morning when I discovered the train tracks. They are located behind the buildings across the street. They are entirely hidden and unnoticeable from the hotel. You'll find out real quickly when you hear the trains in the middle of the night

During my stay at this hotel I encountered a family of ants at my room's doorway. I found that his hotel's clealiness was lacking compared to other best western conference centres. I would not recommend if you are looking for a clean place to stay.

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel for my sons basketball tournament. We were promised that the entire team would be on the same floor which we were not and that posed a huge problem as many had small kids. We also booked months in advance to secure this. Furthermore, we were double charged for a security deposit and the security guard kept knocking on our door every 15 min. From 9:30 pm and on to keep it down, however I can assure you that we were not being inconsiderate with our noise level. Let's just say that will be the first and last time we stay here. On a side note we did eat dinner at the hotel restaurant and our food was great.

I was here for work for 2 nights and had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is nothing to rave about and does need some upgrades, but it was a fine stay. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful and everything was within driving distance. I used the gym and it is very outdated but i was able to get some exercise in. The hotel is very large and takes awhile to walk through if you don't park at the correct entrance.

Staff professional and courteous. Upgraded my room. Free breakfast along with reservation. Very clean. Breakfast was anything of choice! Pool in the hotel as well as a fitness room. I did not have time to use either but nice to know they are there.

I can not say enough good things about this hotel! All of the staff are more then accommodating. The front desk staff always had a smile on their face and were extremely helpful. The restaurant staff went out of their way to accomadate a rare disease that one of the children had that limits what she can eat. They are all so friendly and make you feel like you are at home.

Stayed for a Conference last weekend - we had one of the family suites - AMAZING! husband and I had our own kind size bedroom - the kids had their own room with bunkbeds and their own tv - AND there was a livingroom, mini kitchen and huge bathroom. LOVED our room. Conference food was excellent! the only thing I wasn't happy with was the hot tub didn't seem to be clean, and the pool area was FREEZING.

We are a family of 5. We stayed here for a hockey tournament this weekend. The room was huge ..my husband and I had our own bedroom there was a little kitchen area and the kids had their own room with bunk beds and a TV. There was also a sitting room with a pullout couch. It was clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. We also had lunch at the restaurant it was good. I would recommend!!

I chose the Walter Gretzky wing because it is considered a "quiet zone" area. However, it is anything but quiet. My first night, I requested to change rooms at 11 pm due to the noise and the following night was no better. I realize that there are inconsiderate patrons who do not comply to the rules of the hotel, but why should I suffer? I felt that my complaints were not taken seriously and nothing was done. It is such a shame because the hotel itself is beautiful and the restaurant is amazing. If you don't mind noise, then this hotel would be a good choice.

Right from the start Melanie welcomed us and made us feel like this was the right choice, even though we had several other options, we made our decision right then after chatting with her. She assisted us in planning the event from the venue set up right through the dining and bar options. She met with us and our minions ( daughters ) who were assisting us with our preparations on several occasions, gave us options, made suggestions all while smiling at our silliness. Melanie was there for our event and ensured things from a Best Western perspective ran smoothy. We can't sing her or the staff's praises enough...thanks for a great day Debbie and Bob

My team has been staying there for a long term project and this by far has been their favourite and we've been to a lot of hotels on various projects. Staff have been amazing, value is great and the property amenities are awesome. Will continue to use this hotel.

It was a great place for a great place and excellent amenities with a top notch customer service. We were there for a hockey tournament, 3 days 2 nights. We had a blast, kids had a blast. Recommended as top choice.

We attended with a large group for a hockey tournament and the staff handled check in and out, as well as the volume of our group at breakfast with no issues. They went over and above and treated my son to a special birthday note and cake which was unexpected and very appreciated. Very affordable given not all families have the same affordability. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful.

I stay here on average twice a week and ALWAYS get great service from all the girls at the front reception, they know me by name and know what my room preferences are and always go out of their way to make sure I get what I am after. The bar staff ( Karen in particular) is awesome, always friendly and eager to take care of you. The food in the bar is quite good and there are daily specials. Even with several new hotel options coming to town lately I still keep coming back here. I feel at home when away from home. Jacque, Amy, Natasha, Madyson Carly, Sarah and the rest of the staff rock!! Keep up[ the great work!!

Exterior and rooms are very dated but the lobby and restaurant areas are great. Highly recommend you eat in the restaurant. You wouldn't normally think this at a hotel, but the food is excellent and the value is great compared to chains in the area. Only issue is a phantom restaurant charge on my bill. Staff chalked it up to someone putting the wrong room number on a bill and reversed, but this shouldn't happen

Clean hotel with great amenities. Very nice continental breakfast with all the fixings. Very nice lobby and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Very good hotel service with nice competent, friendly, helpful staff. Only draw back is tv's don't allow for HDMI use, so you are unable to hook android box or PlayStation system up for use. Otherwise wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend.

The free Breakfast is an awesome deal its a real Breakfast They will make your eggs the way you want them even omelettes. stayed many time good deal .The hotel is clean and staff is great. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are modern

Breakfast was not good at all, I understand it's free however......You could hear every thing going on in the hall ways....rooms etc....Internet was not very strong, not very many options for hotels in the area. So considering, if I had to stay in Brantford again I would stay here...but I would have breakfast somewhere else and I would try to get the cheapest rate possible. Not worth what I spent.

I called today to make a reservation. The # on the website: 855-516-1090. The person who answered was most likely a call centre from India. He said his name was Jason. There was a lot of talking in the background. I asked for October 18 and 18 because of the Quilt Show at the Best Western Convention Centre. He said it was $130 a night and with taxes, it will be $437. I asked him to repeat it as I was in shock. I said, $260 for the room and $177 in taxes? He said yes. Hotel rooms have a tax of 19%. this is way more than that.

Nice hotel. Clean and comfortable would stay here again. Only negative is you can hear everything in the hall. Doors opening and closing and people talking. Doors are very thin. We didn't use any of the facilities (pool) but it looked very clean

Booked the African Lion Safari package for the family. Amazing value for the room and tickets. Staff was extremely helpful and even allowed us to check in early since we were traveling not much for a view, but the location seemed to be close to everything we needed.

Of all the hotels in my 72 years of travel it was the cleanest and friendliest hotel I've stayed at.The breakfast was unbelievable, and cost me nothing it was included, the most reasonable rate in this town. I can't say enough about the hotel and staff.Diane Saragosa

Hotel was clean, beautifully decorated. and we had everything that we needed. I would definately recommend this hotel for business or leisure. Restaurant was nice with a variety of choices. Breakfast was great, with continental and cooked to choice. Complete with a workout area and a pool what more could you need.

We pulled off the highway to stay there twice. They have what's rare in hotels these days - rooms with windows that open. The staff was always very nice, the rooms comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast was good, too. Tried poutine for the first time.

Have stayed at this location many times. I always prefer to stay at this hotel and will drive a little extra to meetings in order to stay here. It is always very clean. Any concerns are immediately dealt with. Staff are always attentive and helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding in the area. The staff is friendly. Nice restaurant in the hotel. Reasonably priced and good food. Had some confusion at times with the front desk when it came to being connected to the wedding. Gift bags were to be given out to all rooms under the wedding name. Not all rooms received their bags accordingly. We were suppose to have an early check in and late checkout and there always seemed to be lack of communication between the desk and floor staff. Had to remind the staff of the later check out when they came knocking. The general maintenance of the hotel could be better. Many doors stick and you constantly get to hear doors slamming to make them function throughout the hallways. Not sounds you want hear when trying to sleep.The pool area was missing a functioning latch on the men's bathroom door. The sauna was out of order. Very average conditions for the price.

We were in town for a wedding and this is where the couple had booked rooms for the guests. We had a great experience all weekend! The staff were exceptional, and the breakfast buffet was awesome. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

We were in the Brantford antique shopping and wanted an inexpensive location with a pool and free breakfast. We originally stopped at anther hotel just down the street (Comfort inn I believe) and they did not have a pool. We were told we could go to another hotel which was a ‘2 minute walk'. The ‘walk' included a trip through restaurant parking lots etc. No thanks We then looked on line and saw this Best Western was just off the 401 with pool free breakfast and the rates weren't bad ($125 with CAA). The room was very clean with fridge, large screen tv etc. The pool area was a bit dated but OK. There was also a hottub and a hot sauna room. There was an abundance of kids so unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to enjoy the hottub or sauna. Breakfast the next mornings by was included and no doubt the best free breakfast we've seen in a long time. You name it, they had it including omelettes or eggs made to order. Breakfast was perfect!!! The restaurant staff was very friendly and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. There was also a very nice looking bar and patio area with tables located near the restaurant, off the lobby. The hotel does have convention facilities and conference rooms. Overall this Best Western was exactly what we were looking for when searching for a quick overnight stay. We'll be back!!!

Best Western in Brantford provided us with a high level of comfort and friendliness. Accommodations were of a high standard that are continuously maintained. All staff ensured that we felt welcomed and accommodated any needs that were required.

Stayed in one of their king Suites for the night - it was a last minute booking because we found out our previous booking didn't accept dogs. Super friendly at the front desk, and very quick. Had keys and everything ready. Super clean rooms, and very comfortable. we were in a wing that was not noisy at all. Excellent stay!

Staff was rude and dismissive during check in ..the room only had 2 towels for a jacuzzi suite and the breakfast sausage was so undercooked I'm surprised I didn't have to chase it around the restaurant

My family and I were supposed to go tubing on the Grand River on the Sunday but it rained so it was cancelled. This hotel was close by, thank goodness we stayed here because it was at least a nice night away. There is a nice pool and hot tub to relax in and enjoy. We were not happy with the hotel restaurant but there are all kinds of different places close by which we would take advantage of next time. The staff were all terrific. We enjoyed our stay with minor exceptions.

awesome service , helpful employees . best of all was the free breakfast . not your standard breakfast but one where you can ORDER an omelette and have it made fresh while you wait with your choice of ingredients. all sorts of fresh fruit to finish, coffee served at your table by friendly servers. I was also lucky enough to get the LAST room available that weekend for the stated price. holiday inn express nearby had a FEW ROOMS LEFT but due to supply and demand they upped the price from 150.00 approx. to 229.00 plus taxes. THANK YOU BEST WESTERN!!!

The bathroom was amazing clean. Old looking bathrooms with peeling calk and discoloration is my pet peeve in hotel rooms. I was so impressed as soon as I stepped into the bathroom. The room was also big and clean. The wait staff in the restaurant was exceptional. EVERYONE went out of their way to make us feel at home.

stayed here for business. The hotel was full as it was friday the 13th the next day so they had people going to port dover. The hotel went out of their way to make sure everything was on point and they even had grab and go bags for those with no time for breakfast. The staff was super friendly and on point. Would stay here again and again.

If you need to actually sleep, don't stay here. Aesthetically, our room was very nice. It was also very clean. The housekeeping staff work hard here, so props to them for sure!! However, the bed (although a pillow top) was rock hard. I spent the whole night unable to sleep. When I sat on the loveseat in the morning, I realized I should have slept on it instead. We also ended up having loud neighbours (our room was in the 'quiet/silent' section of the hotel). My husband called the front desk, but that didn't end up being effective. The worst part of all, was checking out; I don't think the front desk staff understand the basics of customer service (I can say this, as I've worked numerous customer facing jobs over my working career). They didn't ask how our stay was, and instead of asking how we wanted to pay, they just charged the credit card we reserved the room with. We had wanted to pay by debit, and after my husband protested, the charged his debit. The staff seem so confused and unprofessional. Plus, it has taken almost a week for them to refund his credit card. The whole experience has been so irritating, we will not be coming back.

Stay there while my husband had a job to do in the area. Had my nephew who is five years old join us. We got the mini suite which had a pull out couch area separate from the bedroom which was fantastic for the little guy. He really enjoyed the pool however we found that there were people that came in off the street bags and backpacks and snow boots and food into the pool area. Looks like they came for the day and they were groups of younger people definitely not from the hotel. Staff were friendly throughout the hotel except the breakfast waitress and the food is excellent in the restaurant for breakfast. The hotel is handy to a number of stores and restaurants.

Excellent staff and facilities well worth the money for the room you get, the great buffet breakfast and the pool. I was only one night but the rooms were clean and the bed is super comfortable. Would go again

We stayed in room 266, our room was clean, the pool was nice and clean. Staff was great and accommodating. We had joining rooms with 264. The buffet breakfast was really good, fresh made omelet station was good. We ate dinner there both nights, food was good.

A few of my friends and I recently stayed at this property for a local wedding. We were pleased with how clean the hotel is and how nice the staff was. The only recommendation that I can give to future travelers is to bring ear plugs. We were in the older section of the hotel and the doors were sticky. People were forced to slam their doors as a result and that was pretty loud at 7 am when you have a hangover.

We had trouble finding a hotel for 5 people.We were 2 grandparents with 3 grandkids.BW offered us 1 room for all of us and it was superb.We had a large family room 2 queen beds and a pullout bed.big bathroom microwave fridge.What a treat to have a large indoor pool with sauna Jacuzzi for the kids. The hotel was super clean including room and all facilities The staff was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. The grounds were well kept too.Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Great price too.Breakfast was included and it was above average with a station to cook omelettes for you.Really nice touch. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel on a group bicycle trip. The service at the hotel was excellent! The staff at this hotel provided a storage room for us to store our bikes. They also arranged our rooms with the storage room near an outer door so we had easy access to bring our bikes in and out of the hotel. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean and the restaurant was good. The morning breakfast (included in the room rate) was great! It included an egg station were you could get eggs/omlettes made to your liking and the serving staff were outstanding! We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean, although there was renovation going on in some of the rooms (with sawdust all over the hall carpet). Several problems we had once in the room: The bed felt as though it was made solely of buttons. It was lucky that none of my party were allergic to feathers as the quilt and some of the pillows seemed to be feather. The air conditioning was like sleeping with a pneumatic drill which turned on every 20 minutes. A light from the open section in the middle of the hotel shone like daylight into the room despite the curtains being closed. There wasn't enough room to swing a cat in the bathroom and you had to squeeze behind the door to close it! The reception staff were rude. The only redeeming features of this hotel were the pool area (the hot tub is wonderful) and the cooked breakfast included in the price was tasty. Perhaps it was just the room we were given that was the problem as no one else seems to have had the above in the reviews I've read.

I was driving from Toronto to Chicago & stopped at this hotel for one night along the way - I'm so glad I did! The staff was really nice, my room was spacious & clean, and the complimentary breakfast buffet the next morning was amazing! Plenty of free parking available as well! Thank you for a great stay!

I stayed here as we were moving into our new home the next day. Due to the traffic noise from Hwy 403 I did not sleep all night. The main idea of staying in the hotel was to get a good nights rest to prepare for the next day. The restaurant staff are amazing at breakfast. Desk girl on leaving was very sympathetic.

If you like the casino it is close. We enjoyed our stay as a best-western as a card member they gave us an upgrade at no extra charge. The free breakfast is awesome ... its like a real breakfast not just a bagel like some hotels. You can have your eggs the way you like them or an omelet .. They have cereal yogurt fruit coffee was great and you sit at a real table. Room was nice we had a mini king suite. But take it from the breakfast was the finishing touch. Sincerely Phil Jones

Older hotel but nicely updated. Rooms very clean and beds really comfortable. Dog friendly and very convenient as rooms have sliding doors to garden. Breakfast is exceptional compared to other hotels and servers were really nice. We would stay there again.

Lydia at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure my business and leisure needs were met. Lydia's customer service skills should be applauded, there was a power outage and Lydia was able to accommodate my needs and make my stay very pleasant. Lydia's attitude and eagerness to ensure your stay is pleasant is why I return to the Best Western!!!!

Room was clean with fridge, microwave and balcony. I always like the option to be able to open the window and get fresh air. Restaurant breakfast was great - buffet with option for omelet bar which we loved. Had coffee to go cups to self serve to bring to the rinks. Staff were friendly - there were kids playing quietly in the halls and the staff let them be there to be together. Some hotels can be very strict. My kids are older so they weren't in the hall but I remember having very strict staff back in the day.

Clean room, what we expected, pool was good. Good family breakfast which was included with our room. Good location and ample handicapped parking. Not many places too stay but this is a good one. we would stay again.

Staff was very good, the overall hotel is getting a little tired and could use a refresh. Certainly an OK place to stay and will return as there are not a lot of options in Brantford. I have stayed here several times over the years and it always meets expectations

Seriously, I can not say enough good things about my stay here. First of all, the staff were amazing. It had not been my intent to stay at a hotel, but due to severe weather (ice storm), I stumbled in at 1am hoping to find a room. The staff were great! They got me checked in right away and gave me a decent rate. Also, while I was at the desk - one of the guests that had been there for a wedding also came to inquire about a room. It was clear that the person had been drinking and they were not the easiest customer to deal with... but the staff again were amazing. They handled the situation with complete class - the perfect mix of respect for the customer, but also being completely professional. So well done! Anyway... the room was large, the bed was extremely comfortable, everything was clean and the morning breakfast was excellent. It is not one of your typical hotel breakfast spreads... nope, this one is a complete buffet, along with an omelette bar (staff making omelettes just the way you want them). Seriously... I could find nothing wrong with this stay and if I could give the place extra stars I would. Really, really impressed and will definitely be back again!!!

Wonderful hotel. Conveniently located just off the highway. Clean and comfortable room. The hotel was full, yet was very quiet. The staff were courteous. loved the whirlpool room - nice upgrade. the breakfast buffet was amazing with fresh cooked omelette options.

Overall it was an enjoyable stay all the staff were helpful. I would have preferred not having to request more coffee. And paper cups are tacky for the price. Instructions for tv operation would have been helpful.

the stay was [pleasant and the staff were very helpful to help me find location in the city, but one down side I was having signal problems with the tv. the staff in the lounge were very nice and mad e my dinning experience very pleasant, the photo hall was very nice to see who stayed at the hotel and rubbed elbows with the Gretzkey family,it located in a good location to other restaurants and shopping malls.

I would recommend this Best Western. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and the included breakfast was great. I was a bit of a distance from the lobby, but I could park close to my room. The room had a microwave and mini-fridge. I'm not sure if that is in al rooms, but it was a nice surprise for me.

Stayed here as part of a large wedding group with a nearby wedding not in the hotel. We requested rooms that were close together for us and the other room for our daughter and Grandma. The rooms were: one on the first floor, and the other on the third floor. This would not have been a big deal except that the whole floor on the third floor was locked and not accessible with our key from the first floor. I had to call them every time I went up and it was a real inconvenience and totally unnecessary. I've never seen this feature in another hotel. Overall, the room was clean, quiet, and well-appointed for our needs. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel but the locked fire door on the third floor has to go!

Room was very clean, staff was welcoming & helpful, breakfast was delicious - great omelet made fresh and good variety of fresh fruit. We are a Best Western club member - when we arrived they upgraded our reservation to a suite - sweet!

I was married at the Brantford Best Western on the 24th of February and things couldn't have gone better! Every detail was perfect and they were so accommodating to our needs, working with Melanie and the rest of the Best Western staff was a delight and made the whole wedding planning process a breeze! They've done many weddings and events and it's a very fine establishments also a very comfortable and convenient location. The food was mouth watering amazing, our guests couldn't get enough! Everything was so delicious and cooked to perfection, i recommend getting the chicken on the bone and the chicken wings, they're the best. The hotel was clean and had a nice atmosphere for our event, the staff were pleasant and polite and willing to help in any way they could. Our hotel room we stayed in after the wedding was clean and proper, it had everything a good room should have, plus a whirlpool bathtub in the middle of it. The breakfast buffet at Myra's Bar and Grill the next morning was phenomenal, nothing like any hotel breakfast i've ever had! All in All the Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre made my big day go as smoothly as it could've gone, everything from the planning and prepping down to the next few days after the wedding, they really know how to make you feel at ease and at home over there!

I stayed in room 189 sunday the 11th, The room was very nice the bathroom was nice but the shower door was broken. When I went to fill the hot tub a hour or two after check in I seen it was very murky gross water so I cleaned the hot tub twice. My girl friend who was in the tub two times that night after I cleaned it has hot tub rash and I not even going into the hot tub also have it all over my arms from cleaning the hottub out with just water. Im not sure if your staff just wasnt in the mood to clean it right or if you guys are not cleaning it enough but its a really painful horrible time with this rash.

Very enjoyable and quiet considering the number of groups staying there. Did not have time to sample the pool although I wanted to. Lots of vending machines....convenient locations for amenities. Ok breakfast being free I can't complain.

The room and service was great...any questions we had concerning services were answered. Will be there next year!! The buffet was included in our package and was well worth the money spent. We would recommend this package to anyone who wants a New Years dinner and dance and do not want to drive afterwards.

We had an excellent time at the New Year's Eve Gala. The food was delicious, the music fantastic and a wonderful time was had by our table. We stayed overnight and had a beautiful room in the Walter Gretzky wing. It was quiet and very clean. The next morning the breakfast buffet was great. Only complaint needed more than sausage for a meet. Looking forward to next year! Thanks

The rooms are pretty good, the lobby very nice and appealing, the banquet rooms entertain a lot of different functions and are worth looking at, from Auctions to Golf liquidations. The bar is average with not to many customers whenever I have been there. The only thing I really and this is my personal opinion only is that Brantford has a lot better restaurants than Kirby's which is located inside. There is a lot of pasta on their buffet. I have never ordered individually off their menu but it is not my choice place to go. For those in a rush who don't have the time to go out and dine its good enough eats for sure but for those wanting fine dining an experience to quench the pallet this is not the place.

Our stay began with convenient parking in the large parking lot and then got immediately better with the front desk gentleman who was very friendly and checked us in very quickly. We enjoyed our stay in a room in the Gretzky Wing. The room was very nice, clean, and of a good size. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and amenities were also very good. I attended a function in one of the meeting rooms. It turned out that we needed a few more chairs, as more people showed up than we had originally told the hotel. They quickly accommodated us with the needed chairs. The coffee and other refreshments brought to the meeting room were also good. The delivery staff members were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our reservation rate included breakfast, which was exceptionally good. The location is very convenient, being just off Hwy 403, at Wayne Gretzky Parkway. Over 30 years ago, when I first stayed at the property, it was flagged as a Holiday Inn. Hotel brand switching, repositioning, and re-flagging occur frequently. Today, this is a very nice hotel property.

This is my 2nd time staying here for business and they are super friendly and accommodating. Great place for meetings and central location for people in Ontario and who have to fly in like me. Hotel is not new but the staff and service makes up for the age of the property.

I like Best Western.... hotel properties are always clean and the staff is always helpful....... I like the PLUS with the restaurant and bar........ there is nothing like working a long hard day and have the ability to have a nice cold beer after work, order food and not having to go out......... fantastic

Hotel and staff were very accommodating to our large group for New Year's. We had a group of 60 (adults and children) and the staff were very helpful all night. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Breakfast was included and the food was excellent.

We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. Lobby very nicely appointed and comfortable. Check in was very quick and very friendly. The room was spotless and nicely appointed. The couch was the most comfortable I have ever seen in a hotel. The room was warm and well lit. The included breakfast was a complete surprise and very very good. Hot and cold buffet with omelette station. The restaurant was very comfortable. We did not use it but there is also an indoor pool.

Traveling late through bad weather and needed a hotel that allowed dogs. Nice hotel and welcoming front desk staff. Reasonable rate for pet fee and easy accessibility to take them outside. Room was average but convenient to have a mini fridge. Smaller bathroom than a typical hotel room. Hospitable staff is worth a second mentioning.

Stay here on my wedding night in the honeymoon suite in the Walter Gretzky wing. Very clean and quiet and had a very nice enjoyable stay. Hot tub was really nice and a little extras like the bottle of wine and robes were a nice touch.

Good place to stay, hotel has a huge play area for children. Hot breakfast with wide selection, free drinking water available at the lobby. Lots of parking and free. Friendly staffs, and good service.

I have stayed at this hotel several times when visiting relatives. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. Even though there was a large convention that coincided with my stay, service was not affected at all.

Stayed here one night to attend a surprise birthday party in town. Room was fine, liked having a frig, microwave, coffeemaker and fireplace. Everything was clean except that we found the bed uncomfortable, gave us sore backs. Breakfast included which was nice, could get your choice of eggs or an omelette besides the buffet.

Nice to have a bar / lounge that serves light meals & isn't too noisy. Clean rooms, friendly staff & reasonable price which includes full hot breakfast - go for the made-to-order Omelette & fresh croissants.

This was my 4th visit at this location and as always my stay was perfect. Looking forward to my next stay. The staff is always looking to help making our stay the best exspiriance ever. I recommend the best western in Brantford for any type of visit.

We really enjoyed our experience here! Myself, my husband & our 6 month old stayed in a king bed suite (so our little guy could sleep in bed at 7:00 and we could still stay up in the other room without waking him) in the gretzky wing- the room was spacious and clean, bathroom was a good size, everything was fully functional. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly (even at midnight when I needed help finding a pharmacy near the hotel that would still be open) and breakfast at Myra's was great- lots of options to choose from and friendly staff. Very happy with our stay, we would definitely book again!

We were staying there because we had damage to our home. Our stay was just over 3 months. We have a dog and were thankful that we were able to stay, but with so many families now having pets I feel for long term stay you should have a suite or at least a few rooms with a couch for long term stay.

Was booked in for a hockey tournament with a group,,,we were all on different floors,,not given a block of rooms. Was given the group rate on confirmation of booking,,then given the group rate upon check in,,then overcharged by $46, on check out. Little to no security on a Saturday night when you have all hockey kids in hotel ,,lots of noise in the hall til wee hours of the night.

Great , well arrange place. Excellent breakfast, lounge and service. Would definitely come back! Highly recommend to friends and family. Stop by if you can! Front staff and barman were very helpful. Also got a taxi for me when I couldn't get UBER to work.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the service provided.We had problems in getting the conference rate from the original booking through BW but the hotel worked that out very nicely.The overall stay was above our expectations.

We have just returned home from a Thursday to Saturday night stay at this comfortable hotel which hosted our annual archaeology conference. Although we were not a part of the organizing committee, from an attendees viewpoint, it seemed like a perfect venue for the event, with everything that was needed for a successful conference. The banquet and seminar halls were spacious and av was more than adequate. The Friday night conference reception and Saturday night banquet were catered by the hotel and the food at both was excellent. There is an onsite restaurantl and our buffet breakfasts were included with the price of our room. We had a suite, but the price was very reasonable ($150 a night including tax) and it was very spacious, with a separate living room and kitchenette. Overall the hotel is very clean and up to date. It is also very easy to find, located directly off a main highway.

value of stay exceeds expectations and the attitude of the staff simply adds to the genuine feeling that you have chosen the best hotel in the city. The complimentary breakfast is a surprising addition and of considerably better quality than a conventional continental breakfast

hotel was nice. nothing special but nice, clean and comfortable. Room was a bit pricey for what it was. We asked for a group rate and it was the same as the rest of the hotel prices. at the end no complaints though. I would stay there again

Second time I stayed here during my business trips. The hotel and rooms are clean and spacious. The wifi was easy to hook up to and the speed was fast enough for me to easily do my work. The staff are all professional and friendly. I asked for a room on the first floor, the nice lady behind the counter made it possible. Best complimentary breakfasts I have ever experienced. The hotel is just off the highway and easy to find. The lunch served at our meetings was delicious and fresh. I would recommend utilizing their hospitality services should you book a meeting at the hotel.

I have posted this review before and they had it deleted... To that I say to the public reading this - look at the other reviews look at the time frame for 2017 and look at other places with reviews such as google and other products in regard to this company. Check out the time frame and you will see there is a distinct cluster showing a pattern. Also this is not by me my first review or my first hotel stay.. So lets begin... This only applies to Best Western Brantford, I have been in many other hotels of the same chain and only had minor issues. Lets begin... I was attending a mini convention within the hotel and had booked a room in the place for this very reason. Using their website , I found a room that from the photos looked okay and was 270 a night (very expensive, in the end I did not pay that price but less 205)... The photos made it look like a paradise ... Far from the case in fact.. The "hotel" is converted motel with some modern expansions, I was placed in a small boxed room that was aged but on first impressions "would do" ... Five minutes into my stay the kids are running up and down the hall and scream like a play ground disturbing other guests. So I figure I will take a shower and get ready for the Friday night events.. I go into the bathroom and see a dispenser and some odd thing in the shower stall... No worries, its not dirt or some oil (a saw cut in the skin of the shower insert)... I start to shower... no shower gel (I have not even used the room yet and no shower gel - see picture).... Not a happy camper at this stage.. On my way to the event, I let them know about the shower gel, the general state of the room the expense and most of all the noise from the kids running around (hockey team members).. I do not ask for a cheaper rate, I do not ask for a new room just fix the shower. I go meet some folks and go back to my room , the floor staff are about to enter my room so I join them... Apparently the shower things are suppose to be locked and she does not have an access key (mistakenly forgotten it happens , fair enough) note it is suppose to be locked and it was not .. So someone is not doing proper room checks between guests (red flag). I go back to my event and get a call that they are moving me to a quiet wing.. So I accept and think hey I will get a great sleep blah blah blah... Well the quiet area has kids and yelling too, This quiet area should be STRICTLY enforced at all times and this falls on the staff and the management that supervises them.. They seem to think it is okay (again hockey team kids and thus hockey hell)... No worries the room is nice but lacking plugs if you are a business traveller (see photos) a nice room and worth 270 for a motel/hotel. I sleep and I actually sleep good but I go to breakfast inside, buffet style (included in the price of the room, hence the increase in price well above normal) ... I look and there is sausage but no bacon, you have to special order it... REALLY? Special order it while 50 kids and adults run around with wait staff and a front greater who could not find fingers with hand in front of their face in total daylight. To those other than Hockey parents time is money and in fact more valued... You can win money in a lottery but you can not get more time by any means in life , you get what you get and can not hand the grim reaper a pass for another hour .. Thus breakfast was a complete waste of time and the staff were rude and teenage unconcerned ... Example you the read may understand would be asking your child how was school and getting that "fine" answer we all know so well. The staff on the weekend certainly do not like complaints, that is for sure and the night manager (I checked the rules so no last name) Richard set back customer relations so far back they entered an entirely different universe. (Again checked the rules for posting names) Selina the front greeter in the morning cops such an attitude that would put any teenager to shame and could give a PHD lessons in not giving a single concern about a persons stay. Attention to detail is lacking, I have seen conference room trying to hold meetings while the hockey kids are screaming in the hall way and thus the do not recommend anyone hold any sort of meetings here. In the end, if you are a business person wanting a quiet stay where you need a rest don't stay here and do not hold any meetings here.. Attention to detail is important and there were staff who tried their best but in the end the finger can be clearly pointed at management. The general manager of the hotel is the person responsible for providing that leadership and thus it is a complete failure of that person to do their job and maintain a standard for all guests. It is a great place for hockey teams and other kids sport teams , if I was part of that group my review would be a six out of five.. As they pander would pander to my hockey kids ever need.. Otherwise avoid

Though I was placed in a "Quiet Wing", the Hockey Tournament in the area seemed to invalidate the expectation. There was no TV remote in the room. Front desk staff did not answer the phone the two times I called them. I had to walk to the desk to get the remote situation resolved.

Great room and stay. The staff were great and ensured our wedding was an amazing night that we will never forget. Thank you to the amazing event planner, we could not have done it without her help and guidance.

Our stay was fine at the BW in Brantford. They put our group with rooms together. After explaining and asking if there was a berevement rate, they adjusted out rate. The pool was fun for the kids. The free breakfast was an unexpected pleasure. Very nice.

Very comfortable room, good food, excellent breakfast and very welcoming bar staff. But for the actions, or rather inactions, of one member of reception this would have been a 5star visit. Part of my laundry went AWOL so I reported it that night. The receptionist promised to call the laundry the next morning to track the items down. The next night I ask the same receptionist about my missing laundry, he promised to call the laundry the next morning to track the items down. Hardly Diamond Service to promise a guest something and totally fail to deliver. A great business model however, give the hotel items of clothing to have them lose it and then get charged for the privilege on your final bill.

Got there at 9:00pm the quintessential weary traveller having missed dinner because of travel timing, front desk staff was great, helped me get my dinner ordered in and even escorted me to my room. Nice hotel, clean, quiet. Breakfast included was good, fresh and plentiful. Nice stay.

Its location is between major centres, but worth the inconvenience. We were offered the upgrade upon booking. That was amazing!! Its location is perfect if you're caught in the typical snowstorms. Will be booking dec 23 either way.

Large quiet room. Great buffet breakfast with gluten free options. Very knowledgeable kitchen for gf. Large warm pool. Got locked out a few times because of the locked hall policy. Hallway doors only open if you have a room on the floor. Tried to take the stairs and got stuck out back of the hotel.

Horrible experience and its not even over yet. First the front desk person booked the wrong date for our reservation which ended up us loose our room type. Then after checking in a different front desk person told us that the pool closes at 11pm so we made our dinner plans according to that so we head off to the pool at 10pm to find out we are too late. Very disappointed will probably never stay here again.

love the best western in Branford my granddaughter always comes with me alth we have had some problems in the past two years ago the frig didn't work all our food froze then last year I got locked in the bathroom so was moved to another room this year the problem wasn't the best western fault we had a show at the sanderson centre so the desk ordered a cab at 6pm and it didn't come until 7:10 the desk phoned three times for me they don't know what happened to the first 2 our show started at 7 but we didn't get there until 7:30 so I was disappointed we never had this probable before

Thank you for a great night -- as always the Best Western met my expectations. The balcony was a nice, unexpected feature on the room and made for a nice place to sit away from the beds. The only amenity I would have liked is a dvd player or access to something to play movies.

The hotel was excellent to stay at. It was close to the wedding location and a shuttle provided transportation to the location. Breakfast, which was included with the room, was excellent with very pleasant staff. We highly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable location for attending a recurring business course in town. Great place to relax between sessions despite the face lift going on. will be even better once renovations are complete. Staff make up for the inconvenience of the construction work.

This hotel is always welcoming. It is very clean, has nice and helpful staff. The restarant is handy, but there are also other places to dine fairly close by. The cost is very reasonable and I return to this location every time I have business in the Brantford area.

During our stay we were able to enjoy many of the amenities offered. The room was very clean and the decor was updated and well maintained. Our King Suite was very spacious and bed was very comfortable. In room jacuzzi was also a plus and much newer/comfortable compared to others we have experienced.

My wife and I just enjoyed and extended stay at this hotel, the staff was fantastic the food was good, and the beds were very comfortable. We have also been here previously for a conference, again it was a great experience. Will definitely be back!

I am a non-smoker placed into a pet room which was non-smoking room. In the morning a strong smoke smell came into the bathroom vents. Room also smelled musty. Could tell pets had been there. Plug-ins did not work so I couldn't charge my cell phone. Bed was comfortable. Rooms were very noisy. Could hear people in halls, outside and above me.

Wonderful property and wonderful staff. I stay at the property often as a result and use this property for conferences and meetings for my staff and members a number of times throughout the year. Good value and good service.

Was in town for a Wedding! Stayed for 2 nights, rooms were large and very nice. The beds were large and extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were a good size with everything you need. The bathroom as well as the room was nice and clean upon arrival. The staff was kind and friendly and were available at all times! GREAT PLACE!!

Was ok served its purpose, pool was nice and park was ok. the room was clean the bathroom you can tell they tried to make it nice but needs a rip out. Bed was comfy. Kids enjoyed themselves. My sisters wedding was in the hall and it was very nice. Food for wedding was ok and the bar for the wedding could have had better variety. Kids couldn't even get Shirley temples :( ! When some items were misplaced staff was wonderful helping us try to find it all. Lots of parking

I was in town for a wedding in the area . The hotel is fairly large a nice lobby the room was a fair size with 2 double beds a fridge of course a tv and a balcony. The room was very clean as well.the pool was nice and warm also clean nice hot tub. The highlight was the breakfast it was resort like. Nice Buffett with with omelette station lots of variety I enjoyed my experience with the hotel . The hotel was right off the highway as well which was good. Would return if needed a hotel in the area.

Really enjoyed my stay. Breakfast is incredible. Large pool and whirlpool. Nice fitness centre. Very friendly staff. I travel frequently so I am aware of different hoyels. This one I highly recommend.

My family stayed at this hotel under the African Lion Safari package. We found it to be a great value considering all of the add-ones we got with the package. We used the pool, in room dining and breakfast facilities. We paid around $240 for the package and received $20 off at their restaurant.

Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, fast internet. The King Suite rooms are very comfortable and worth the upgrade. If booking with a group try to get everyone in the same section. You can't enter the hallways to other rooms. This is a great security feature for safety but a pain when visiting friends on other floors or sections of hotel. Nice pool and hot tub.

My stay there was excellent. The staff were friendly, professional and courteous. The room was amazing and I loved the hot tub. I would highly recommend it to others. Also it was close to the train station

excellent staff who go above and beyond and nice clean well taken care of rooms and property. my kids als9 love the playground which is a nice bonus. I love the suites they are very spacious and the "quiet hallway" is great

The folks welcomed us with smiles and friendly comments daily. From the front desk, restaurant, to the support staff around the hotel came friendly conversations and warm smiles. A very clean hotel with many spaces for reading privately inside and out for those moments to just relax, small and large meeting rooms for our group to work together, and great lounge with comfortable chairs near the front desk for us to wait for others.

The wedding party and wedding guests made this our home base for the weekend. It is conveniently located to Hwy. 403 and close to our wedding site. We had the rehearsal dinner in the hotel restaurant. The meal was delicious. Karaoke followed dinner providing a lot of fun for our group. Our stay here was most desirable.

Friendly cleaning staff. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Pool was at a nice temperature and we enjoyed the hot tub. Only the blonde at the front desk with the stretched ears was a bit unfriendly. Otherwise it was a nice stay. The infused water at the front desk was delicious.

It was our first time staying here. We came for my son's first hockey tournament. He loved the bunk beds and the pool. The restaurant and food were great! It was a great first time experience for us! Thanks and we'll be back again!

I was traveling across Ontario to Michigan and spent the night here along the way. Check-in was easy and the staff friendly. The room was spacious and clean. I arrived a little late to use the pool or hot tub so decided to stay a little longer in the morning to do so. Checkout is 11 A.M. I went to the hot tub at about 10. Water was hot, but there was a distinct ring around the water level of the tub. Also, there was green mold along the adjoining wall to the hot tub. I only stayed a few minutes in the hot tub and went back to my room to finish packing and check out. I informed the front desk of the hot tub conditions upon checkout and was thanked and told they would get housekeeping to clean it. The only other thing that detracted from my stay was the fact that they were preparing to seal a large part of the parking lot and had closed it off which was a little inconvenient for those with lots of luggage staying in that end of the hotel. (But totally understandable!) It's a nice hotel, close to the major highway. I would stay here again if my travels took me through Ontario.

We've stayed in this hotel at least three times. Staff is friendly. Parking is lovely. However, entrances to doors--except the lobby--and to other areas of the hotel are not possible for a wheelchair guest travelling alone. Exits have lips or drop downs that make it impossible for a wheelchair guest to enter or exit without assistance. The handicap accessible room has carpet with thick under padding making it hard to wheel across. Mattresses are hard.

This is by far the nicest best western we have every stayed at. The quite wing has amazing large rooms with fireplace, hot tub large ceilings and more. Breakfast was amazing as well. Made to order egg station, excellent wait staff and the ability to each outside on the patio. Can't say enough good things about the hotel. There were 10 of us that stayed there. We all had the same experience.

We got the african lion safari package and it was definatley a deal. They had a small pool for the little ones and we stayed in the double queen Gretzky suite and it was definatly amazing, so much space.

Excellent accommodation and facilities. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Good restaurant on premises and very good breakfast.. The hotel is well located off the highway. Easy in and easy out.

We have stayed here many times always in the family suit and this time we stayed in adjoining rooms as we have 3 kids and need the space. Upon arrival I was told the family suit was not booked for me, but a queen suit, and I was told this was not the fault of the front desk "I would not do that." I have never stayed in any other room here but the family suit. After a lot of waiting we were given adjoining rooms at a discount. But we got to our room and not adjoining, then after another wait another set of rooms and not adjoining again, finally we got our rooms and we were happy! But we woke up in the morning and we were told to move our car as the parking lot was being re surfaced, omg the noise! And not to mention the hike to our car anytime we wanted to go out. Also housekeeping did not make our room up and give us towels until being asked twice to do so. Finally at 3:30 we got rather up set and demanded they make our room and empty the garbage (2 adults 3 kids) they fill up fast! On our second night there was a loud dog barking and the parking lot sealing made everything stink. I am sorry to say we won't be back.

Stay at the Best Western Brantford every Tuesday. 5 stars. Very pleased and very comfortable when I'm here away from the family. Stayed up the street for a year before I came here. What a &@"$ waste of time. Breakfast is 11/10! Check it out!

Baseball tournament/family trip. Was a good hotel stayed in two different rooms during the stay. The newer side was to my liking but the older side seemed not cared for and not taken care of. Check out time was not very efficient but overall was a good stay.

We stay at this Best Western when we attend the near by dirt track (20min drive). The staff is always welcoming, beds very comfortable and the inside pool very relaxing. They recently upgraded the breakfast menu to made to order omelette, waffles, oatmeal, home fries, yogurt; with a rotating menu of French toast/pancakes, bacon/sausage. What a wonderful change from the past two years.

Clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Location was quiet but given the fact it is a little ways from town that was to be expected. If you don't ming driving its fine. Cleaning staff were great very friendly and diverse.

I have stayed many times at this hotel and I have always had a good experience. The rooms are great the breakfast is varied and very good. It is right off the highway and close to shopping and restaurants.

My two week stay at this hotel was like a comfort zone away from home. It was quiet, exceptionally clean and the service was top notch. I really like the breakfast brochures. I recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area.

We stayed at the Best Western for a powerlifting meet in the hotel. Typical Best Western hotel room, but the bed was large and room was clean. My fiancé had difficulty sleeping. Staff was very friendly. A hot buffet breakfast was included the next morning and it was amazing. It was at Myra's and included: an omelette station, eggs, waffle bar, assortment of bread products, jams, peanut butter etc!

We stay here at this Best Western every year for our son's end of season hockey tournament in Brantford. Hotel is in a good location, lots of restaurants, stores etc.. near by. The staff are always helpful. Rooms are what you would expect from a best Western. They have a complimentary breakfast but if you pay an extra 5.00 ( which I recommend ) you get the upgrade of the hot breakfast which is fantastic. Overall, our stays are pretty good. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Brantford.

We enjoyed our stay and the family suite with a bunk bed. Well situated, indoor pool and outdoor park for the kids. Close to many things. Employees very happy and welcoming showing their concern for our confort.

Good value with personable, caring staff. We had a pleasant experience. We stayed there because we needed to attend a funeral nearby and it was nice to come back to a clean, quiet space to unwind. We never used the exercise space or the pool but it looked very appealing and would use it another time.

Nice hotel to stay at with nice amenities and clean. We had a problem with our first room and they corrected it asap which was impressive. Our new room was very spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Reasonable rates which included a hot breakfast. We will stay there again

Had a great stay in Canada. Stopped here on my way to Niagara Falls. The manager working the front desk was very professional and courteous. He was very busy with a big rush of customers when we arrived. He always kept his composure and treated each guest like they were the most important person in the room.

This hotel is in a great location for access to highways and everything in Brantford. The front desk staff were very good. The food quality at the breakfast is only average but there is quite a bit of choice. The bed was comfortable and there were no problems, but my hotel room was rundown and dingy looking and so the overall experience did not feel as good as it could have. I would wait for the ongoing renovations to be done before returning.

Was only in for a night, for an event left early in morning, all was good. definitely would return. Not many hotels in the Brantford area to choose from, Front desk staff very friendly. looks like they have updated the rooms. lobby area also all redone. would recommend this hotel if you need to be in Brantford. The hotel is under renovation. They were painting door trim in one whole wing when we were there. But those rooms were not available anyway. My concern is the long walk within the hotel if you happen to get a room down one of the very long wings. There is only one elevator and if you are on the second floor there is a possibility of walking way down one wing and then just as far down another wing. I have never seen such a weird layout. Usually the elevator is situated in the middle of the hotel. I was there once before but had a 1st floor room close to the lobby. Excellent experience that time. The breakfast is very good to excellent. Bed was comfy. Our room was fine but carpet should be replaces soon. Clean. I would try it again if thy could guarantee me a shorter walk to the lobby.

I stay here often, service and staff are allways excellant. The continental breakfast is pretty good, there are bagels, pastries, Toast, fruit, yogert,hot porridge and waffles.There is an upgraded breakfast buffet as well as a cooking station for eggs, bacon , omelets etc..

The staff was quick and kind. I had a horrible dealing with the hampton inn only minutes before! The staff at BW checked me in with in minutes and even called down after I had settled in to make sure everything was okay on our end!

This hotel was well located for our purpose for being in Brantford. The fact there were no stairs was beneficial. As a result of this experience, we would look for, and choose, Best Western in other cities.

The appearance of the lobby and business rooms is great. location is convenient , a bit of a walk to major shopping Centre and easy drive to a variety of restaurants. Rooms are decent, renovating some now. Restaurant staff is excellent.

Mid-week stay for business. Good value for stay included breakfast and wifi. Hotel staff extremely helpful and courteous. Undergoing renovations, so some noise and smell but well contained and did not impact my stay.

Good restaurant, good choice food and prices. Good room, big comfortable bed. Love the way the corridors are protected by card access for the rooms in that area so nobody pounding past room at midnight.

Excellent rooms with supreme beds and amenities. Restaurant had a good selection on the menu, food was excellent and the service was great for our large group. Very easy to get to off the highway and also close to the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre if you are in Brantford for any tournaments.

3 day stay while attending conference in St. George. Good location. Friendly staff. Hotel undergoing renovation and hallways look quite 'dumpy'. Room was furnished OK but bed somewhat 'firm'. Good breakfast provided.

We stayed at threBest Western in Brantford for two nights in June because we were attending the graduation of our grandaughter. We were very happy with the accomodation and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting with family in Kitchener as well as Brantford and the hotel is situated close to Hwy 403 and not too far from the 401.

After a 6 hour drive to this city to attend a grandson University graduation, this one night stay was a very good event to also make it a total success. The location on arrival was easy to find; the staff were excellent and the room, dining selections for dinner, relaxation, and breakfast; not forgetting the excellent staff efforts.

Here for a busy show and particularly appreciated the quality of the room and facilities. Stayed on a busy weekend and found this property had a quiet policy that prevented the noise of events from interfering with a good night's sleep. Beds were extremely comfortable and fixtures and fittings really good quality.

Hotel and breakfast were excellent. The value was good and we were very happy with cost and location Rooms were neat and clean. All facilities we were looking for were there. It was close to the event we were at.

The hotel was great value , staff was excllent . Breakfast at the restaurant was included . I booked directly online and fhis CAA rate was cheaper than any of the discount book in sites. The bed and pillows were more comfortable than my pillows at home. Loved The sleep.

This was a great say for our tournament. Staff was very kind and kids really enjoyed themselves. The party room was a nice and the pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and large enough for many of the kids.

This is a very good value for the money. Generally I stay in Hilton and Holiday Inn branded facilities. This hotel was good quality and good value. It is located in a great area for restaurants and shopping off the Wayne Gretzgy Parkway. Downtown is 10 minutes away. Access to the highway to Hamilton or Woodstock is close by.

Loved the Jacuzzi suite extra large room. Clean and affordable in a very quiet hall. Lots of good restaurants near by - the one on site is not so hot. twenty minute drive down the highway to more shopping and great restaurants and entertainment in Hamilton or check out the Sanderson Centre in downtown Brantford.

Great location, just off of Hwy. 403. Recently renovated, nice presentation when you first enter. 2 Queen bed Suite was very spacious. Staff amazing and very accommodating. Food was good and breakfast that was included in room price was very good. Overall great experience and I would return.

It was impossible to get a good night sleep as there were kids running up and down the halls, laughing, yelling, knocking on doors until midnight and nothing was done to stop this behaviour. This went on for 2 nights.

comfy beds, rooms out dated but an okay stay......rooms are big, washrooms are small. Free breakfast was okay, could change it up from day to day for variety. Had lunch at the restaurant, it was good, but for 2 grilled cheese and a club sandwich it was $82

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights The Hotel was under renovation. Paint was still wet in some areas (I brushed up against white paint sometimes during my stay, ruined my jacket). The hotel cleaning staff person who I asked to help me with the broken remote was terse and rude. The breakfast was pretty bad too. Good bread products, but the entire buffet was a bad (Eggs were horrible). For the cost, I would expect much more from a hotel.

I booked this reservation based on the Best Western's location, since I was attending a funeral in Brantford and wanted to be as close to the gatherings as possible. The BW is right off the highway and easy to find, which was a plus. That said..... What was good: the staff was friendly and conscientious; the bed was comfortable. What I wish I'd known before I booked: this BW is in a state of disrepair - though I understand that maintenance can be expected anywhere, the hallway walls in our section (entrance D, near the pool) had been stripped of their paper/paint and didn't appear to have plans for a new coat of anything -- it just looked like a terribly run down building that was on its last legs. Check-in was quick and easy, but for opening the hotel room door to find a repairman on the floor with his tools laid out, saying we'd have to move because 'black stuff' had been coming out of the faucets!? So back to the front desk we went to shift rooms. Along the way were the housekeeping facilities with laundry and garbage storage doors wide open, which remained that way through the duration of our stay. Not a huge deal, just a little thing that contributed to the feel of the place. Once we finally settled into a room, its layout was comfortable, but it wasn't clean in the way I expect a hotel room to be (i.e. things like visible traces of the last occupants' drinks on the nightstands). To put it succinctly: based on the photos I saw on the website and the price, I simply expected way better. That said, if you just need a comfortable bed for one night and don't mind spending about $150 for it, you'll be fine.

Attended a conference for work which required staying 2 nights. There were signs saying the motel is under renovation & the stairwells had been stripped of wallpaper but didn't come across any actual work being done. My room was clean & met my needs. There was a lot of noise from the hallway & adjoining room. If the parking lot was any indication, the motel must have been full, or close to it. Conference area was clean & presented well. Lunch served on both days was good. At check out, a restaurant charge had been added to my room, which I did not make. The desk clerk quickly verified that the signature on the bill wasn't mine & removed it from my bill.

Stayed for two nights for a hockey tournament. Rooms were clean and amenities were good. The pool looked to be in need of renovations which were taking place in other parts of the hotel. The gym was far superior to most hotel gyms. However was very unimpressed by the disorganized service and mediocre food in the restaurant.

Attended a conference so stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Conference was good and the lunch served at the conference was excellent but expected that it was outside caterers brought in for the event rather than hotel,staff. Check in was straight forward and directions to room were good. Room was musty had to open all the windows to air the room. Room was large with a king bed but with a tub in one corner the layout felt cramped. The bathroom was exceedingly small and the shower was weird. Walk in shower with a curtain on a curve that was to short for the shower. Hence the floor was automatically soaked each time as the water just ran down the shower curtain onto the floor. Put a bottle of coke in the small fridge and it was a block of ice in the morning, no adjustments for temperature were available on the fridge. Reported all this to reception but nothing was done. The corridors were being renovated and made these dark dingy alleyways even worse getting to the conference room. The way to the conference room had to pass the laundry, housekeeping area and maintainence areas all of which had their doors wedged open and the corridor jammed with carts. Not a nice sight. Have stayed in many BW and this must be me to score off our list.

A good hotel but nothing special. Breakfast which is allegedly included in a room price($100 per night) includes only cold meals. Hot meals such as eggs or pancakes are charged extra. Overall, ok hotel.

Facility needs an upgrade. Great location easy to get to. Staff were fine and restaurant was fine. Lots of parking. Long way to lobby from some rooms and outside doors lock at 8PM. Would be nice to be able to use room key later at night for said doors. Had a swimming pool and fitness center but did not use either. Lounge was a bit hidden for later at night as you had to go thru the restaurant which closed at 10 Pm. Front desk was very accessible and clean.

Was accommodated with an early check-in. Front desk as well as bartender and waitress in restaurant all very friendly & accommodating. We decided to stay in for dinner & ordered wings at the bar for take-out to go back to room. Wings were great!

After staying one night here we were disappointed with what is usually very good quality at best Westerns. Upon check in and getting to our room we noticed that the section we were staying in was under renovations and as we were in a hurry to get to where we were going didn't have time to really look at the room Getting back to the room late that night is when we noticed how dated the room was The wooden chairs were very uncomfortable to sit in , we noticed mold around the bathtub and how dirty the carpet was. The beds were clean and comfortable so we decided to spend the night. The Breakfast they offered in the morning was very plain and not even tasty. They did not offer express checkout when we checked in and just assumed it wasn't offered. Check out took almost 20 minutes as there was only one person at the desk and she was dealing with a problem. A few days later I received a survey about our stay , filled it in and sent it back,then we received another then another ?? I don't think BW even reads these . I even called customer service a couple times , had to leave messages and still have received any call back. Bad form all around .

Great hotel. Friendly staff and very helpful. Central location. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Very affordable. Second time as a guest. Will be back again next year. Highly recommended. Complimentary breakfast provided. The lounge and Bar is quaint. Excellent food. They didn't provide a channel to rent movies. if they did, I couldn't find it. That is the only complaint and this is minor. Great experience

My husband and I had to stay at the hotel for a month because of a difference in sale of house and new one available. The people at the hotel made our stay less stressful. By the end of our stay the staff were like old friends. Always a smile and a warm word of encouragement on a bad day. We want to mention them by name because they were so kind to us, Brenda, Carol, Andre, Lisa, Karen H, Michelle, Annie and the housekeeper Claudette and Emma at the front desk. We actually miss them and a week ago I went back and had breakfast there so I could see them. Thank you.

Everything a hotel should be ! Great front desk staff . Warm comfortable room with a balcony. Overall absolutely pleased ! Will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. The staff knew the area very well and recommended a great restaurant ! Right off the highway.. this hotel was amazing!

I stayed here for two nights for a convention that I was running. From start to finish everything about booking the Hotel was great with everyone I dealt with. Wonderful venue to have an event at. The restaurant is one of the best around and the price is very reasonable, you can't beat the food or the selection. The hotel is clean, quiet and easily accessible to the 403. Room was great and spacious. One of my best hotel experiences this year.

This hotel was not brand new but had all the amenities needed. Very convenient location on two highways, walkable to major shopping centers, public transportation to Toronto. Pool, fitness center, restaurant with decent food. Great for a conference.

Stayed for one night earlier this month. Newly renovated facility with a good selection of room types, numerous meeting rooms, full service restaurant with excellent food, fitness room, pool and banquet facilities. We had a suite style room which was very comfortable and well finished. We had a buffet style dinner and the hot buffet breakfast. Would recommend this facility.

Went to the hotel for Sunday Brunch thanksgiving weekend and what a treat. Scrambelled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffels, made to order omelets, carved roast beef, mashed potatoes, fresh carved turkey and the best stuffing i have ever had not to mention all the yummy deserts and soft serve ice cream. What a great meal. Will be back for sure.

I have never had a bad experience. The rooms are lovely. I recommend staying in one of the Whirlpool suites in the Gretzky Wing. The perfect way to relax. Affordably priced and conveniently located right off the highway. I strongly recommend this BW location.

been staying here about 30 days per calendar year. started in 2008 and fly in every 3 months or so to visit relatives. restaurant staff are great as well as housekeeping and front desk. the staff are what makes this hotel

My room was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming. They could not accommodate my request for a particular room so they gave me two coupons for a free hot buffet breakfast. We also had dinner in the restaurant. Our server Lisa was fabulous!! Friendly, accommodating and attentive. Our meal of pork tenderloin was absolutely delicious and we sent our compliments to the chef. Try it! It was wonderful.

We attended a wedding and stayed here and was very disappointed ... mattress and bedding very tired ... room smelled of smoke due to air conditioner venting from the back wall where upon we found numerous cigarette butts outside our sliding door. Bathroom extremely small have to move in beside toilet to close door. Restaurant was good ... nice prime rib buffet for 21 dollars....staff friendly and helpful...just a hotel poorly maintained.

Front desk assistance was excellent. Check in was friendly and efficient. Our room was located on the second floor. First impression walking down the halls wasn't the greatest. The carpet was old and gross looking and the wallpaper in the halls looked the same. The old carpet continued in to the rooms. Other than that negative, the room was decent was a fridge and sitting area. The AC unit was very loud every time it turned on. Hall noise is VERY loud. You could hear every single door opening and slamming closed. There are many sporting teams that stay at this hotel so the door slamming lasted pretty late at night. Noise between the walls was actually very good. We could not hear any voices. The breakfast is great. Free continental or a mere $5 if you wish to upgrade to include omelette, sausage, pancakes. We were satisfied with the complimentary breakfast.

Great hotel for meetings and rooms are always clean. Staff is very helpful and go out of there way to make your business easy to conduct. I stayed in a room with a Jacuzzi and I was impressed that the Jacuzzi worked so well. It filled up fast and worked very well, very clean. Overall, a great place for leisure or business.

Apparently this hotel is going under renovations, which are really needed. Our room wasn't yet renovated, but it was obvious it wasn't properly cleaned from the previous guests. There was dried urine on the toilet seat and hair in the bed. Walls are pretty thin, so you can clearly hear the cleaning cart going by at night and the ice machine. The hotel was pretty busy due to conventions so people walking back and forth in the night woke us up from time to time. The saving grace of this hotel is the breakfast, a good selection with good coffee is available. Wait staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to accommodate. This compensated from the disappointment regarding the room.

This was absolutely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have travelled over seas including Europe and Hawaii! Phil was very conscientious, friendly, professional and helpful...not to mention he was Mr. personality plus!! Made the check-in process as smooth as can be. Our room was spotless and VERY comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and plenty of soft, fluffy towels! Loved the soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower! The restaurant located in the hotel is excellent AND they do give you % off of dinner and coupon for upgrading the breakfast! The dining staff was very friendly and efficient. There were several signs about renovations and to excuse the mess but everything was very clean. If I ever get back to this area......this will be the place for me!
