« Fantastic Staff and Service! Nice Hotel! »

We are staying at the Best Western while in town for a tournament. I chose the hotel because of its location and newness. We needed 14 rooms and the front staff, Ayana, Vlad and Parveem have been exceptional! The staff at the hotel definitely reflect th managers heart. Darlene sees her employees as her own family and it shows she cares for them. In return, the staff extend their joy for their job onto the guests. Ayanna did an exceptional job coordinating all of our rooms to be on the too floor and helping me find a restaurant for a group dinner. It was a delight to check in and be so warmly greeted. The hotel is clean and well cared for. Rooms are spacious and clean. It is a very comfortable hotel. The pool slide is crazy fast and fun! My kids LOVED it and didn't want to leave!

« Review of Best Western Hotel by Ted & Shirley Glucki »

We enjoyed our stay. Our Grandkids had fun in the pool and water slide. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to. We would book Best Western again.

    « Road Warrior »

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and each time the service has been off the charts. A very freindly staff that go out of their way to help with anything. A very clean hotel with a very good breakfast in the morning.I will stay at this hotel again next time I am in Brandon.

    « Overnight Stay »

In town for a family reunion. We decided to splurge a little for our anniversary so booked a top floor suite. Several rooms with large screen TV's, a fireplace in the sitting room and a jacuzzi in the bedroom. Huge comfortable bed. Hot breakfast. Quick drive to restaurants and shopping, decent pool and large exercise equipment area.

« Caring and attentive staff »

Recently my mother and I stayed here while attending a family funeral. After the funeral I unfortunately became quite ill for the next couple of days and the staff at the Best Western went out of their way to look after our needs. One staff member even went shopping for things we needed, after her shift was over, and brought them back to us. Now I consider that top notch service!

« Place to stay while on the road »

The hotel room was fine, perhaps a little tight on entering the room with the luggage cart. Room features were fine, clean. However, the hot breakfast offering was marginal at best. The breakfast items sat for too long. Lacked taste or flavor. Seemed like leftovers because they sat too long.

    « Comfy bed! »

After a stressful drive in the rain, it was great to end up at an amazing hotel! Loved the beds, spacious room with comfy chair and room to spare! Breakfast was ok, the breakfast corner was a bit crowded. Decent selection. Would stay here again.

    « A Great Stay »

This is a very nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are nicely appointed and were very clean. The pool is very nice and people seemed to really enjoy the water slide. Breakfast was also very good with lots of food choices. We will stay again!

    « Review of Hotel »

The hotel is very clean, offers a swimming pool/hot tub, a complete breakfast, and the rooms have comfortable beds and the usual coffee/tea. The staff was very professional, although not very congenial or cordial; I didn't get the feeling of "Welcome to our hotel". All just professional, not really friendly. For the price, I expected a bit more. I have received the same amenities at lower cost hotels, and was made to feel more welcome. If that's not important to you, it's great.

    « Average »

The service was indifferent and the hotel was ok with the exception of the pool and slide which would be a hit with kids. I thought it fell short of the BW Plus status It wasn't overly clean in the common area Our room was a nice size and the King bed was very comfortable Location is outside of town just off the highway Better value probably in other hotels

    « Quick Trip »

Met expectations for a well priced hotel. Rooms were up to date, clean and well maintained. Staff was good, courteous and prompt with their responses. The breakfast (quality and layout of food) was very good.

« Bang for your buck! »

On top of the hotel living up to what you would expect from a best Western. The pool and slide make this decision to pay a few extra per night a no Brainer. Try and keep your kids from staring through the glass at the slide while you check in. Friendly staff also help. Definitely worth a 5star review. And a great free continental breakfast!!

« Everything but wake up call excellent »

The hotel is very clean and new. Exterior is great. Rooms are excellent and clean. Has a great pool with waterslide. The free breakfast is a great addition as the price is a bit high though. My only complaint is the clock radios are near impossible to operate so I used the wake up call at the front desk but in the morning the phone never rang and I woke up a half hour late. Other than that it is a great place and located on the TransCanada highway near a Tims and other food places.

« Recommend this Hotel in Brandon! »

Had stayed elsewhere in Brandon for 4 nights previous. Decided to give this hotel a try. A little bit more money. It was certainly worth it. Staff were exceptional. Stay at a lot of Hotels and the staff here were so friendly and made you really feel at home. Waterslide, pool, hot tub were great. Breakfast was the normal sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, yogurt, fruit etc. But very good. Room was very nice and clean. Next time I am in Brandon, I will pay the little extra to stay here. Way to go Best Western Inn Brandon!

    « Quiet & comfy »

Check in staff were very pleasant and helpfull, bed was super comfy, room well presented and clean, the buffet breakfast was good but have had better. Room was very quiet considering the proximity of the highway. Check in staff directed us to a very good steak house for tea.

Worst guest service agent i ever met during check-in (pm shift). She messed up room rates and room assignments, even asked the guest to check if the room is vacant or occupied. Her attitude towards the guests was unbecoming of someone working in a customer service job. The room was clean but the bed sheets don't have a fresh smell. My children enjoyed the pool very much.

    « It was okay.... »

For the price we paid on a double queen room was not overly clean...the 'boot' blanket on the end of the bed was filthy, dirty and stained. The carpet had a red stain in the floor...possibly nail polish? I plugged my phone in behind the tv stand and noticed how dirty it was behind it. Things just aren't being cleaned the way they should be. Next time, and for a better price and a cleaner room, I will opt for a different hotel in Brandon. That being said, beds were comfy and front desk staff were friendly.

    « Sliding Downhill »

I have stayed here a number of times over the last few years. However, the hotel is not what it used to be. The halls were crowded with cleaning equipment and carts. The equipment in the fitness centre was broken. The couch in our room was worn out. I wonder if there is a better and less expensive option in Brandon?

    « Decent, would give 3.5 if I could. »

I liked this hotel and I'm very impressed with this chain overall, but I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness in the bathtub, which looked like it was starting to develop pink mould in a few places. The room itself was clean the beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. I did not get to sample the free breakfast or try the hot tub pool, but, they looked nice. I had some problems with the dryer in the laundry eating my coins, but a friendly staff member sorted it out for me and got it working.

    « Stay here! ?????????? »

I have discovered Best Western Plus. They seem much like a very good La Quinta in the USA. Good staff, friendly welcome, fast check-out and a good breakfast. Rooms are very good and welcoming. Nice extra touches. No complaints. I have stayed in other hotels in Brandon but this will my place to stay., Ohhh and you know those dreaded words "You're staying one night..,let me see.. If I can find you a room behind a sign/near a stairwell, by the pop machine or ice maker or by the elevator ..." Well they don't do that! ????????????

    « Great Service »

Just what was needed after we had been travelling across country for nearly 24 hours. Very helpful staff who catered to our needs ?? easy to find from the highway perfect location with a great selection for breakfast. Love the fitness centre and pool with the slide

« Best Western Quality yet again »

Another Best Western one finds dotted across the TCH although this one also had a small water park built in. Dependable Internet and hot breakfast available every morning. Unless your looking for some extra night life in Brandon where you don't have to drive or use a taxi service then this is a great place to stay.

    « Prairie Rest Stop »

On a very long trip home, this was a welcome respite. Not hard to find... right on the Trans Canada Highway and in close proximity to shopping and restaurants. A clean and user friendly facility. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and everyone.

« Great waterslide and excellent breakfast! »

We stayed for the waterslide and it was great and breakfast was very good. The attendant gave our kids little toys which was a nice touch and they brought around freshly baked pastries which were delicious. My only issue was that the front desk attendant who was super nice...well he stunk so BAD!!! It permeated the entire first floor. I realize that it is his culture not to use deodorant but this was a really bad first impression for the hotel. In the morning it was gone because he was gone. I feel bad for the manager because that would be a difficult conversation to have with an employee. Overall it was a good experience and we would certainly go back!

    « Dependable »

This is always our first choice when visiting Brandon. Easy to find, decent free breakfast, good wifi. The suites are very nice and re set up well for the business traveller who has to stay a few days.

    « A Very Nice Find - Excellent Hotel »

I have stayed at this hotel in the past, this time was no disappointment. When checking in I discovered that they had upgraded me to a suite! It was lovely, but most importantly extremely comfortable. I had very little interaction with the staff but when I did they were courteous, helpful and efficient. The free breakfast had more than usual selection of hot foods, and it was fresh. Well Done Brandon Inn!

    « Functional at best »

We stopped in to this hotel on a cross country road trip. It could have been better staffed - only one very busy person on the front desk. No restaurant onsite and the hot breakfast which was included in our stay did not look very appealing. We passed on it. The room was comfortable and quiet. It filled the bill for an overnight stop in being close to the highway, but still has a way to go in meeting the quality experience we have come to expect from Best Western.

« Great place to stay »

Had a great stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful in many ways. A great location to get in and out of this hotel. Clean rooms and very comfortable beds to sleep in. Complementary breakfast was good.

« Staff Makes the Difference »

Many hotels offer breakfast but this was the first hotel we've ever stayed at that the staff looking after the breakfast actually greeted the guests with a cheery "Good Morning, is there anything I can get you?" And then delivered fresh baked goodies to each table! They were not looking for a tip (no tip jar in sight), they were just plain friendly and caring. I can say the same for the front desk people - those doors swished open and up came their heads with a smile, a 'hello' or a nod if they were on the phone! How many times do we check into places waiting to be acknowledged? A hotel room is a hotel room but when staff makes you feel really welcome, the hotel is memorable! The only issue we had with the hotel room was the safe's location - on the floor, making it awkward for anyone with limited mobility to get down to that level to enter codes. These need to be raised to a proper height

    « Stay away from room 200 »

Overall the hotel was great. Nice big rooms, clean and looking really good. The pool was clean and hot tub nice and warm. The only Huge issue i had was staying for 2 nights in room 200. All night ever 15 minutes you can hear the load sound of air compressor type sound starting up and gaining speed. Making grinding and wining sounds. Runs for 5 minutes then shuts off. Was supposed to be a great night for me and my girl. But was 2 nights of pure hell for a extremely bad sleep. Will never pick best western again. I did ask about the sound but the staff didn't seem to care at all. It would have been nice to get a few bucks back on the room but nope. If you chose this hotel and get room 200 demand not to stay in that room. When you look out the bedroom window you can see the huge a/c unit and i bet the sound is from that.

« Not so nice stay. »

We have been traveling through Canada and the USA on our honeymoon, we have stayed at several best westerns along the way all in which were great except for this one! The receptionist was very rude and unhelpful, and our in room towels were stained!! Gross! Not an experience you want to have on honeymoon.

    « A great property »

My first time at this property and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing accommodation in Brandon. Very conveniently located with easy access from the No 1 highway and still only a few minutes drive to the city centre. The outside is well maintained and immediately gives you the impression that the interior will be the same. Very spacious and well appointed lobby and all the staff I came in contact with were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Great pool and fitness area, and all spotlessly clean as was the room. Great choice of colours in the decor and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept it. Thank you to management and staff for a great stay.

« This is not the old Best Western. It is a PLUS! »

The hotel is very conveniently located. It is on the TransCanada at the northern most edge of town, but it is on the major road into the city. We were greeted at the desk by a thoroughly professional agent. Our room was large and very well appointed. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. Both the bed and bath linens were first class. The breakfast was just less than a Hilton Garden Inn. We were on a 3-week multiple hotel trip. This was the best of the "chain" hotels.

    « Very nice »

it was busy but it wasn't noisy. Families were enjoying the pool with the water slide. Very spacious room. Comfy and clean. Located just off the Trans-Canada and easy access to restaurants. Breakfast serving area was a bit smaller then some hotels but there was sufficient seating.

    « Stay »

I had to come to Brandon for my mother's funeral. The hotel and its staff made it very comfortable for me. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and I am glad that I stayed here this time. I could had stayed at a hotel closer to the funeral home but I recalled how happy I was with your hotel in the past.

    « Very nice hotel »

This was our last stop on our journey home from Niagra Falls to Alberta. The hotel was very nice and clean the staff are nice enough. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that they don't do upgrades for the elite guests. Any other best western I go to we get an upgrade. That's my only complaint. Other wise our stay was very nice. The breakfast was okay got us on our way. We may stay at this property again

    « Clean & comfortable »

Had a kids' pool party here - pool area nice & clean; room clean & comfortable. Beds extremely comfortable, with a variety of pillows. If you like the room cool, request an extra blanket. Shower was clean & good water pressure, etc. Definitely recommend, for a newer, clean hotel in Brandon.

    « Overpriced »

I booked the hotel several weeks prior to staying . The room was extremely overpriced and the service was poor. The staff at the reception counter could not make any changes and were not able to help me with problems in the room . There were no working electrical outlets in the bathroom. Room was dark

« Excellent place to stay »

We have stayed in this hotel on previous trips through Brandon and have found the staff to be consistently friendly and helpful. The hotel, and our room in particular, were very clean, well laid out and offered everything that we would need. The hot breakfast was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again. We do not agree with the accommodation/lodging tax that is now being added to hotel stays in most if not all provinces and hotels. The prices are high enough.

« Excellent quality stay with kids for the price! »

We stayed here with our 12 yo daughter and 10 yo son, as our eldest had a spoken poetry competition at the Brandon University last weekend. We found the hotel on and read some reviews and decided that this would be the best place to stay in Brandon. We were not disappointed. Complimentary breakfast was EXCELLENT and provided an excellent variety of hot and cold choices. Rooms were spacious and very clean with a modern look. The pool had one slide but it was really fun! (for the kids too) and it was nice a clean. Our 3rd floor room was dead quiet so we got two great night's sleeps. Whether your a family or a business executive, this is the place to stay.

« We will be back!! »

The check-in was prompt!Stayed for a night to visit friends. The staff was friendly.Rooms were clean, comfortable. The amenities such as pool with slide, breakfast BW Style, gym. The only weird thing was they asked for full payment at check-in.Usually we pay at checkout.

« Welcoming clean and comfortable »

Stayed here for a week The hotel is very clean and comfortable The amenities are good, pool with water slide (restricted hours for regular pool users ) And an adequate gym. Breakfast was the usual BW style The only thing I found odd is that they charged me for my full stay at check in I'm used to having my card preauthorized at checkin then pay at checkout. I'm not a big fan of there system.

« Stayed Wednesday to Saturday »

Really great front desk staff. Easy check in and check out. Nice pool area with a waterslide. Clean spacious double queen beds - clean bathroom. Good size TV microwave and mini fridge. Would suggest use your CAA rate was good.

« 1st time staying that the Best Western in Brandon »

Pretty typical of a Best Western property. You know what you are going to get. This place is new'ish and it shows. The properties have pretty much the same lay-out. This pool was a bit different from other BW properties that I have stayed at. Probably a lot of fun for kids; if you are travelling with kids. There is a Boston Pizza being built close to this property so finding a recognizable restaurant, in the near future, will be easier. My 2-day stay was just fine,

« Stayed her by Chance then by design »

During the period October 2014 to May 2015 I was crossing Canada from Ottawa to Vancouver 5 times. The first trip was planned to stay just west of Winnipeg but I found no accommodations until this excellent new Best Western PLUS It really has the plus Great work out facilities a whorl pool and heated indoor swim pool with water slide for the kids Being new the rooms still smell fresh and the place is ultra clean Breakfast had all you could seek and the staff throughout were great. I made it a point to stay here on each crossing. As a side bar it is only a 10 minute drive to the Brandon Air Museum which is well worth the trip Sorry I did not send in a review sooner Located just off the trans Canada at the eastern entrance to Brandon so easy to find and a family restaurant just across the road with service stations close by.

« Perfect for an overnight stay »

We frequently stay at the Best Western hotels. They are consistently clean, beds are good, comfortable .. We like knowing there won't be any unpleasant surprises and this one didn't disappoint. Breakfast is decent as well. No complaints.. Would definitely recommend.

    « Travelling Through »

Wonderful place to stay. Beds wonderful and staff excellent. We would recommend staying here. Pool was nice and breakfast wonderful. The staff was very helpful and would stay here again for sure. Know anyone would like it.

    « Modern, clean hotek »

I have stayed at this hotel recently. Once with family and once on business. Both times staff has been very accommodating and professional. Beds and rooms are very Clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast is nice too when traveling with kids. Pool area is nice as and the Water is warm enough for little kids. It's a great location as well. Downtown Brandon is only a 5 minute drive away. We will be returning to this hotel every time we are in the area.

    « Great stay »

The hotel is right on #1 so easily accessed. The rooms are neat, clean and tastefully decorated. There is a pool and exercise room. The continental breakfast was tasty including hot and cold choices. Friendly, helpful staff and lots of parking.

    « Time with family »

Very nice hotel and great staff, clean!!! Rooms. Very modern. Really awesome water slide close to shopping and resteraunts. Just a little noisey because people stay a night and go. Located on trans Canada and some people do not know how to be courteous. But overall best hotel in Brandon mb

    « Best Western, Brandon »

We loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and reasonably priced, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast buffet was delicious and hot. The pool and area was clean and enjoyed by every child in the hotel, along with ample parking. We will definitely be having a return visit when we go back to Brandon.

« Tired travelers needing a quit comfortable place to stay. »

My sister and I stayed here and found the check in clerks to be not the friendliest but did provide us with satisfactory service. The rate was good. The room was quite comfortable and sound proof. Unfortunately the pool and spa closed before we could use it and didn't open in the morning till 9 am, again as we were traveling and leaving before it opened we could not take advantage of its use. They did serve a large choice continental breakfast which was good. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget looking for cleanliness and comfort. The bonus was the breakfast.

    « Great Hotel »

Newer Hotel, our room was huge, complete with fridge, micro wave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Staff were very helpful with any queries. The hot breakfast was quite enjoyable, everything was always full. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family

« Exceptional hospitality and accommodation »

Our team stayed at the BW Brandon for a tournament this weekend. The staff went way beyond expectation to accommodate any requests, from early checkin to refrigerating our team food, even refreezing icepacks for us!! The team loved their spacious rooms that were outstandingly clean with exceptionally comfortable beds. The pool and water slide was much enjoyed after their competition. Despite our team being the third team in the hotel to eat in the morning everything in the buffet was available due to the efficient breakfast staff. Every staff member we came in contact with from the front desk to the maintenance man to the breakfast staff and of course the manager Darlene were all pleasant, gracious hosts. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family or friends, it is great accommodation with exceptional hospitality.

    « Very satisfied »

We had a very nice suite, very clean, and the staff was accomodating, we needed a crib brought it right away and set it up. For the standard hotel breakfast, was well stocked, clean room friendly staff.

« Good hotel with some improvements needed »

In many ways a great, modern, comfortable hotel. Pool was great and the kids loved the (very fast) water slide. The one feature that's really needed is a way to order movies from in-room. The TV remote includes an "On Demand" feature button that doesn't work, and the WiFi service in the hotel wasn't adequte to allow us to stream Netflix from a laptop or tablet. This would be a really important feature if we were to consider returning on future family trips.

    « Very clean & quiet »

We stayed here with family and were extremely happy with our accommodations. Our in-laws had a business class room & we had a standard 2 queen beds. The beds were all super comfy. The hotel is newer and everything is very clean and nicely decorated. The ceilings (in the main floor rooms) are high & make the rooms seem even bigger. The hotel itself was really quiet, couldn't hear kids running in halls or anything. There is a pool with a waterslide which was great lots of fun. The staff are friendly & helpful. There is an amazing breakfast included with the room (toast, cereal, waffles, eggs, etc...). We stayed on a weekend & it was a little pricey but it really is a beautiful, clean & comfortable room.

« Good Friday stay over »

Stayed over in Brandon, after an awesome Good Friday supper at family. We were able to check in a little early which gave us time to get our stuff in our room and have a quick swim. Room was clean, quiet and well maintained. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Pool area was good. Nice little fast slide and hot tub that was actually hot. There's a small steam room which was pleasant. The breakfast which is served til 10 am was a good variety for all. We will definitely stay at the Best Western in Brandon again.

« Not pleased by management »

My son and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend. We planned on staying 2 nights but something came up and we had to go home early. We notified the front desk at approx. 2pm on the 2nd day that we had to leave. At that time our room had not yet been cleaned. The lady at the front said we wouldn't be reimbursed for the second nights stay (which we had to pay for in advance). I asked if we could get a discount or anything being that they could very well have rented the room after we left. The answer was no. I've been a Best Western member for a while now and figured that would give me a leg up if a situation like this came up. Guess I was wrong. Not sure if my loyalty to Best Western is still in tact after this. Otherwise the hotel was good. The room was very nice. Fridge didn't work and the continental breakfast was not great.

    « Amazing Stay! »

I had the opportunity to stay at the Best Western in Brandon for a few nights this week. The hotel is easy to find, right off Highway 1. The Front Desk was pleasant and helpful and my check in was quick! When I got to my room it was spotless and perfect. I work on the road and the room was spacious and the desk was nice and large and easily accommodated both of my computers and all my papers. There was a beautiful pool and waterslide with a hot tub but unfortunately I didn't have the chance to try it out, but a lady I ran into said her grandchildren really enjoyed it! The breakfast was absolutely AMAZING!! They even had fresh baked pastries and the attendant was taking them around, still nice and warm, and offering to us in the breakfast area! WOW!! I will definitely be back!! Thank you to the team for another great stay!!

« Below average because of poor wifi »

If you do not care about wifi, then this hotel is fine. There's nothing particularly wrong with it. It is conveniently located on the Trans Canada Highway, right as you enter Brandon from Winnipeg. The wifi is ridiculously slow. I couldn't even receive whatsapp messages during peak hours. After midnight, it was a bit better. This caused me problems as a business traveler because I was not able to log on to work on my laptop due to the poor wifi. Housekeeping also requires some additional attention. There are so black spots around the tub, not sure if it's mold or otherwise, but should be taken care of. In addition, no one replaced the facial tissue box when it was emptied after the first night (and there were only a few left to start with). The check in was quick. The lady respectfully put someone on hold that called in so she could check me in. The parking was ample and the parking lot was well lit, so from a safety perspective, it was good. The breakfast was ok - same normal BW standard. PS I can see this hotel as a good family hotel with a pretty good slide in the pool area. I didn't use it though.

    « Quiet, and Friendly »

We checked in Christmas Day for the night, called earlier in the day and requested an early check in which we where granted, Front desk staff (vi I believe her name was) was friendly, smiling and happy upon arrival, wished us a Merry Christmas and had a tray of dainties that the manager had made sitting at the counter in which my daughter was more than happy to taste test. We stayed in a suite room, the room was huge and very very nice! Bed was comfortable, Jacuzzi was easy to work and had a fire place that pulled the room together and gave it an at home cozy feeling. We tried out the pool which was warm, well maintained and clean, big plus was it didn't have that chlorine smell that burns your eyes the minute you walk into it that most other hotels have. My daughter loved the slide well we enjoyed the hot tub. Vending machines where fully stocked for snacks and drinks since most places where closed. Gym was open 24 hours, hallways where clean and quiet, wifi worked great, breakfast had a big selection and variety of things. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be sure to check in there again in the future.

« Not very hockey team or parent friendly »

February 12th 2016 my family rented a suite at this hotel. At first it seemed very nice as it is fairly new. We were in Brandon for a hockey tournament and the Best Western was promoting the coach gets a free room and the kids get a hot dog night in the lobby, this was all true, but as hockey parents we like to sit by the pool and watch our kids swim while eating snacks and having some drinks (In Plastic cups). This was strictly prohibited and we were told they would shut down the pool and the waterslide if this rule was broken. We followed this rule. We were also told that we could sit in the lobby, so we did and were all kicked out at 11:00 P.M. sharp. They also promote a complimentary breakfast till 10:00 a.m. this is also true, but at 10:00 a.m. sharp the doors get closed while you are eating and all perfectly good food is taken away. If you are going to Brandon for hockey or any other sporting event I would definitely stay somewhere else that is more TEAM friendly.

    « comfy beds »

I have stayed at this hotel on average a few times a year since it opened, it is very clean, modern and usually great sleeps on the comfy beds. Breakfast has a decent selection of hot and cold items. Speedy check in and check out.

    « Maid Service »

My husband, I and our children stayed Friday & Saturday night for a hockey tournament. Our child was not scheduled to play another hockey game till the afternoon, so we decided to sleep in, then go for a swim, enjoy the continental breakfast. Sat morning, the maid knocked on our door at 10:10 am, asking if we were leaving the room now, so she can clean, change towels, etc...At this time, we were just getting dressed and one of my children was taking a shower and other went for a swim. I told her that we were dressing up and should be gone between 10:30-11am...Well to my surprise, when I went out to grab a tea from the front room at about 10:30, she was standing outside our door waiting with the cleaning cart, she asked me again if we were leaving and reminded me that I told her that we would be gone at 10:30 am. I told her that we should be leaving in a bit and she kind of rolled her eyes at me. Our room was located on the main floor but I didn't understand why that would have any bearing as why she would be knocking on our door at 10:10 am before checkout time is even done to clean the room. We finally left the room around 11:10 am and by that time; she must have given up waiting to clean our room because it was another lady that started to clean our room when we left the room. Please remind your maid service that check-out time is 11 am and not to knock on the doors of guests before that.

    « Above expectations! »

We travel to Brandon regularly...first time we have stayed at this hotel and it will now be the only place we stay! Rooms are clean and spacious. Continental Breakfast was good, and ample parking too! The Front Desk Staff, Housekeeping, and Manager were all very pleasant. Really liked the fact the whole hotel is smoke free! Thank you for the great stay.

    « Quick trip..... »

The room is large and it has the bedroom connected. The room has a desk with a phone and lamp that has an outlet on the base. There is also an outlet on the wall so everything is convenient along with an office chair. There is a fridge (larger bar fridge), microwave, sitting in a cupboard with three drawers, a couch and chair, end table and coffee table. The room also has a fire place and tv however the remotes did not work. I had to use the remote from the bedroom. There is plenty of lighting within the room. The coffee maker is a Keurig but only 3 pods are included. One decaf, one regular and one French Vanilla. One would have to arrange for additional pods if required. The bedroom has a king bed with five pillows, two night tables, lamps, a chair and ottoman with end table, a chest of drawers and television and a jetted tub. All very convenient. The brown cover that sits on the end of the bed needed to be replaced and washed. I had not noticed it immediately as I never sit on the top covers of the bed anyway because of this possibility. There is another separate bathroom with a regular tub and shower. A hair dryer is hung on the back of the door in a bag. There is plenty of counter space. The closet contains hangers, 2 housecoats, 2 pair of disposable slippers, an iron and ironing board, an extra blanket and a safe. The room was a nice touch to end the day. The breakfast is included. There are waffles available, hot items, cereal, beverages, and an array of muffins and breads.

    « Don't expect WIFI »

Slowest and worst WIFI I've ever seen. This is my 3rd stay here for business and the internet is a joke every time. This is a major fail as a business traveller. Decent property but on highway and not in actual city of Brandon. At least it's clean and newer.

« Decent price, Location not too bad. »

I found the hotel to be very nice and the staff were good. I did like the fact that the hotel has a continental breakfast. The only issue I would say is that it is far from the center of Brandon where everything is located. Other than that the staff were very nice and pleasant and the room was clean. A little pricey but very nice.

« Beautiful hotel, GREAT staff! »

This is the first opportunity we've had to stay in this beautiful hotel! The accommodations are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is amazing, the pool, waterslide, and hot tub are a wonderful treat, and the staff are amazing! Darlene, the General Manager was available several times throughout our stay to answer questions, ask about our stay, and even had a little gift for my 3 grandchildren. Vi, at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful, had a candy treat for the grandchildren, and explained all of the features and benefits available to us during our stay.

« New Year's Eve the pool was full »

Not a good time to be travelling home after 7wks of holidays and it's a good thing we booked ahead as the place was full. I guess it was the waterslide.....the kids love it. Our room was very quiet and we missed the celebrations but the bed was great and hotel was just off the highway. Very clean and breakfast was good. A good night's sleep was had and early off on the road home.

    « Brandon Stopover »

Great hotel to stay in with great location for travelers without going downtown. No HD TV for a hotel of this class seems to be a bit behind the times. No upgrades available in all my stays here. Not sure why.

    « Very nice hotel »

Very friendly and polite check-in staff and a very fast check-in service. Staff phoned just after check-in to make sure everything was good with the room and that we were satisfied Rooms were extremely clean Pool and water slide were clean Friendly and helpful staff

« Not What I Was Expecting for a Best Western »

I recently stayed at the Brandon Inn and to be honest, I was not overly impressed with the place. I had made reservations directly with the hotel with a gentleman with an accent on the Monday before my arrival and was guaranteed a Business King Room; when I checked in on the Friday afernoon, I was told that my reservation was not showing up on their computer - thank goodness I kept the confirmation number - when I presented the front desk clerk my confirmation number, the reservation came up that it was cancelled - funny, I never had cancelled my room. They happened to have a room though (and even a King Business room). Much to my surprise, the room was pretty small and it felt cramped; it also had poor lighting throughout. For a business room, there was only one electrical receptacle at the desk; in order to use my laptop computer and printer, I had to disconnect the coffee maker and the desk light - this made it even darker and uncomfortable to work - they should invest in a power bar so you can use your computer and printer without having to unplug the lights. I was alarmed of the mold that was evident in the bath-tub in both corners where the tiles meet the tub; kind of unprofessional for a newer hotel under the Best Western name. Rooms are not very sound-proof; you could here your neighbour very clearly. Access to the hotel is right off of Highway 1; not many eating places close by though other than fast food and truck stops. On the brighter side, staff at the front desk were courteous. I ate the complimentary breakfast once during my stay; it was good. Would I stay here again; most likely not as there are many other choices in Brandon.

    « Brand New Manager/Great Customer Service »

Darlene was wonderful. We had an issue and she immediately spoke with the staff involved and then came to us to apologize and make it right. She is a brand new manager ( I understand it was only four days) and showed great leadership skills. I teach and speak on leadership professionally and I think that BW Brandon Inn has made a great choice in Darlene.

« Overnight stay while on cross-Canada road trip. »

Good, clean, comfortable affordable hotel. Check in relatively early in evening since it fills up quickly with local work crews. Staff very accommodating, courteous and friendly. Provided a bit of discount for chain loyalty. Adjacent to trans-Canada hwy and easily accessible. Close to town and coffee shops. Provides early morning breakfast room and good breakfast.

    « Great hotel! »

We were out visiting family. This hotel is conveniently located just off the highway. Rooms we very spacious with high ceilings. Beds were luxurious. Pool was great for the kids. Water slide added a great touch. The staff were friendly and our rooms were always cleaned. The breakfast was great, fresh, and was always being replenished. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! We will be back!

« Appalling service - won't even give this place a chance now »

This hotel for three other rooms was booked through - sadly due to a mix up (not the hotels fault) the nights stay was missed entirely by myself and two other co-workers traveling on business. I spoke with who put me on hold and contacted the hotel to talk about if there is a chance to discuss a refund after explaining what happened. They came back and told me the hotel would not agree to this. I then indicated I would try to contact the hotel directly. I did. I spoke with Lukie who told me they would not issue a refund (he is also who spoke with the rep). I explained what happened to him and he indicated to me that there was no manager or assistant manager in the hotel at the time and he would have them call me the next day. I thanked him for his help. The next day, I called the hotel back. I spoke with Vi I believe who answered the phone. I said who I was and I asked for the manager. I asked what the issue was and would see if she could help. I let her know that I spoke with Lukie yesterday and would need to speak with a manager re: refund and understood she could not do this. We went back and forth (I was put on hold twice while she checked with her manager about whether or not they would take the call - twice I was told no) for at least 5-7 minutes. I finally asked her flat out if the manager was not willing to speak with me? She stated this is not the case; she was just too busy and had already heard what happened and there was no change. I asked how she could know what happened if I had not talked to her? I again asked if she was not willing to speak with me. The manager Anna came on the phone. From the second she came on the phone, she advised me she was not unwilling to speak with me, she was VERY busy as they had a change in ownership. I stated I knew she was busy and appreciated her taking me call. I indicated Lukie had said someone would call me and I thought I would just call again. She became quite snippy and then advised me that she had heard I called and doesn't start until 11AM and was in early and had not had a chance to look at all her messages. (I never challenged this - simply told her I chose to call again...) This call lasted about 25 minutes during which I finally had to ask her, why, after I thanked her for her help last week she keeps making this contentious and seems to be very angry with me. She then put the phone on speaker phone. Back and forth this went around a refund and how she read everything from yesterday. First she told me that she had looked up my name and there was never any booking for me - it was under two other ladies - then when I asked about the third room - she indicated that it was in my name. I said, ok, then how did it not come up. She indicated that is not what she said. Regardless, the moral of the story is this: advised me that if I wanted to talk to someone about a refund I would have to call the hotel. I did. Anna (and Jeff the GM I later found out had been listening to the call although I was never advised) told me quite strongly to call expedia. I asked her who the $467.77 charged to my credit card went to - she confirmed it went to Best Western. I asked why I would call expedia for a refund of something they do not have. By the end of this call and repeatedly asking her why she was making this so contentious - short of telling me to **** off and hanging up on me she advised she had listened to enough of me, I had been cutting her off and she would not answer any more questions and I was to go to expedia and she/they would not deal with this any more. Jeff still listening apparently was in full support of the tone/accusations she made and complete brush off a client. (myself and several other co-workers travel to Brandon several times a month and this was to be the first stay of any of us). WOW. Now that was service at its best. So - if there is ever any issues with your booking - get ready you are in for a VERY bumpy ride. If this is what the new ownership feels is superior service their great ratings are about to take a nose dive.

    « Impressive reception »

Rooms are generous in size (Double Queen), very clean. Reception called after check in to determine if we were satisfied and that we had everything we required. Nice touch. Hotel is centrally located on # 1 Hwy and near several restaurants.

    « Good stay »

Typical Best Western with friendly staff and nice clean rooms and a good breakfast. This was the only time that I have ever experienced any problems at a Best Western. On arrival I was informed that there would be no hot water for a few hours which was not a big inconvenience but in the morning the water in the shower was lukewarm at best and ran rust coloured at the start.Still a good nights stay and even the best of places have problems now and then.

    « Beautiful »

Stayed one night the end of September. Room was a very nice size, lots of room for us two gals and all our suitcases and lotions and potions. Spotless! This is a brand new hotel so I sure hope they keep it up. The front desk staff were efficient and pleasant and the breakfast was good except the breakfast room was so hot I just couldn't stay there. I would certainly return.

« Convenient on the highway. Far from anything in Brandon. »

Hotel was clean and front desk service was quick. rate of $140 per night acceptable for a brand new, clean and comfortable hotel. Depending on your task for the trip, The location is a make or break. It is convenient on the highway but we found there was no interesting restaurants or bars within walking distance. We ended up driving into town to find some entertainment.

    « Nice Hotel »

Everywhere in the hotel was very clean and comfortable. I didn't ever hear noises from other rooms. There was a very good breakfast included with pastries, waffles, juices and hot drinks. Staff was very friendly.

« Great One Night Stay »

Stayed here one night while in town for a wedding. The location has quick and easy access to the highway. We had the king suite which was very clean and comfortable, plus it was nice to have a separate living room and tv. This room is very quiet as it's at the end of the hall. We were also happy to find out the pool had an adults only hour later in the evening. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in town!

    « weekend stay »

very clean and the staff very friendly pool was clean and well maintained easy access parking was ample and well lit the hot breakfast was simple but adequate, area was kept clean and food levels were maintained

    « Relaxing overnight »

Stayed here on a cross country drive. This was a good option for right off the highway, easily accessible. We enjoyed the option to use the pool and hot tub to relax from the long drive. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. This is a good option for travelers on the highway as the location is perfect for quick on/off.

    « Great Hotel Stay »
