« Decent hotel in Boulder »

A good place to stay in Boulder. There is no good restaurant within walking distance. There is no restaurant n the hotel either so plan accordingly. I ended up using Uber all the time. Keep this in mind or book a hotel neat downtown.

« Great place to stay when visiting Boulder, near the University »

My husband and I stay here while visiting our son who is attending the University of Colorado, Boulder. This stay, the room was on the ground floor with a glass door to the outside. It was quiet and clean. We were able to put the car right outside our door to load and unload it. The breakfast was great with lots of choices and fresh fruit. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. We had trouble using hotel computer to print our boarding passes and the lobby person let us use his computer. Luckily, he wasn't busy.

« Great place-walking distance to CU Boulder »

Excellent place to stay for visiting CU Boulder. You can park your car for free and walk to the campus. There is a heated outside pool and a hot tub for relaxing in the evening. The free breakfast in the morning had everything that you would want in a very clean dining area. The people working the breakfast were fast, efficient, friendly, and attentive to your needs.

« Excellent service for our large group »

The staff was very helpful and accommodating for our large group. We had 30 college lacrosse players and 12 parents that stayed for three nights. Steve in Facilities and Margaret in Dining were very helpful during our entire stay. They were very flexible with requested facility and dining options with our group. We have stayed at this location multiple years for this annual tournament, and continue to recommend this Best Western Plus.

    « Luxurious rooms »

I've stayed several times at this property and am always impressed by the size of the rooms and how well-appointed the bathrooms are. Given it's proximity to the CU campus (I can walk to meet my son at his dorm or at the bookstore), it is a very good value. I found their breakfast was also really good.

« Not what they used to be! »

Average is pushing it! We hardly ever choose to stay in a Best Western and having had to recently I was reminded why. This is an older hotel that they have tried to inexpensively remodel or update and it shows. Not much to like here, poor mattress and just poor value all the way around.

    « Dirty and cramped »

The bathroom was dirty. To get the shower head to function I had to get the fellow from the front desk. The thermostat only goes down to 68, good luck as the room remained very hot for March. Laundry room was filthy with dust and dirt all over the floor and shelves. No quarter machine so the days climbing wear went unwashed as I didn't bring 50 quarters with me. Very disappointed. I had bigger rooms on this trip for 79.00 bucks. I haven't stayed in a Best Western for many years and they continue to prove they are the worst!

« Staffed with Excellent Staff »

Check-in and out experience, helpfulness of the desk staff and attentiveness of the breakfast staff made this trip enjoyable. The staff also suggested a limousine service between Denver International Airport and the hotel that worked well.

« Great clean place close to University of Colorado (walking distance)! »

We came in town to look at the University's Law School. Boy was this place the perfect location. We were able to walk to the Law School (under the highways via the tunnel) and were able to bike all around campus. You will need a car in this location if you're staying though since Pearl Street is quite a distance. Or, you can Uber.

    « What a pleasant surprise! »

Great rate, easy early check-in, pleasant staff, very spacious room with a patio, little store to buy sundries, comfortable bed, great TV and work desk, nice business center, plenty of easily accessible outlets to charge electronics, great shower, decent lighting, tasty and well organized breakfast. Will definitely stay again if business requires a trip to Boulder.

    « It was ok »

This was my first trip to Boulder in 35 years. I picked this hotel based on some of the reviews, and the deal I got on some travel site, which ended up not being a good deal (because travel site messed up my reservation and I had to pay an extra night). Anyway...pros...the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, the front-desk guys were very nice, I was allowed to check into my room early, and they have a little "store" with snacks, beverages, etc., on site. Cons...the shower in my room wouldn't drain, and there's not much around the hotel. I ended up being without a vehicle for the weekend, so the goldfish crackers in the "store" were a great dinner the first night, and I ordered pizza for delivery the second night.

    « Visiting CU »

Staff friendly, room clean and breakfast very good. Checked in, went to our room, and as happens sometimes our keys did not work. A maintenance man, Steve, was on our hall, let us in our room and then he went down to replace our keys. Above and beyond friendly.

    5
    « Comfortable room »

I was just passing through and didn't take the opportunity to try all the amenities. The room was really nice and the stone used in the construction gave the feeling of a ski lodge. Apparently, there were about six ski lodges within 30 minutes. I also didn't know I was within 5 minutes of the college. An unusual thing did happen that has never happened before. I got a computer generated/ sales person phone call in the room. Overall, it was a really nice room.

    « Great Stay! »

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and comfortable! The breakfast was the best! Very impressed! Staff was present to keep breakfast area clean and food replenished. Fresh fruit!... not just bananas, apples and oranges.... but blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Great variety! So much to choose from! It is the draw in which we will return! Tip: if you plan to use the hot tub, you need to request a towel from the front desk.

    « Great location! »

On a quick college tour with my son, I wanted to be near the campus. This place couldn't be closer. We were about 5 minutes from the main entrance to CU. We arrived late at night and were at first a bit put off by the outside, but once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice and the room was clean and well equipped.

    « Great Getaway »

My husband and I wanted to get away for a night, but not go too far from home. This Best Western was the perfect spot. The room was clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. All of the staff were outstanding.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Love their pillows and the staff are incredibly helpful. I use this hotels for meetings at UC Boulder and I bring students. The staff have opened up their business rooms for the students to practice their presentations and are always helpful in accommodating our needs.

« Taking daughter to school »

Came up from Central Texas, found Boulder Inn, excellent choice. Staff VERY helpful, especially the red headed young man. The rooms are clean and the views of the mountains are excellent. The buffet was better than any place I've ever stayed! Definately recommend the Boulder Inn to anyone passing through or even a vacation destination, lots to do in Boulder.

« Great place to stay »

Hotel is clean. Updated with nice taste and style. Well lit up at night and staff are friendly and willing to help out. Breakfasts were top notch with lots to choose from and very fresh. We looked forward to breakfast every day. Beds are really comfortable. Location provides good access to shopping. Hiking and bike paths. Boulder has alot to offer for everyone all year round. Will definitely come back and stay at the Boulder Inn.

    « Fabulous Boulder location »

Have just gotten back from our stay at the Best Western Boulder Inn. Best breakfast of any hotel we have ever stayed at. Fantastic location. The hotel decor and specifically the Christmas decorations are wonderful. Entire experience was excellent!

« Clean. Quite. Good breakfast. »

This hotel is clean, quiet and quite comfortable. The carpeting and beds were being replaced while we were there. The breakfast buffet is very good and you will find food for all dietary requirements (vegan gluten free...). It was too cold for us to walk to campus, but Uber will get you there in 3-5 minutes for $7.03. There is a Sprouts market across the street as well as a great pizza joint and an Italian restaurant.

    3
    « Beautiful Accomodations - Poor Staff »

If the staff at the front desk were like the presentation in the room, this would have been an A+ hotel! The renovation in the lobby was exceptional!! The Night Auditor who was training, was arrogant and argumentative! My advice, Check-In remotely, Make Sure Their Paperwork Matches YOURS BEFORE you sign! Once in your room, THIS is a great place!!

    5
« Friendly staff, great value. »

Stayed here for 3 nights for our son's graduation, great location to campus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was really comfy! Breakfast (included with room!) had a nice variety of foods. Would stay again!

« Words Cannot Describe! So I have pictures!!! »

Stayed on 11/16/2017. 100% non-smoking. Paid a little more than usual, but for what I got in return it's was great. Total was $141.00 for a King room. Truck parking was available. Room had all amenities, except a microwave (not a deal breaker), and more!! Above average comp cosmetics ...shampoo, soaps, body lotions and free room slippers. They even had Q-tips in a jar on the vanity. Hairdryer was in a soft bag under the vanity. I don't drink coffee but I know a lot of my readers do so they had a Keurig coffee maker with ...get ready ...Dunkin Dounuts K-cups! I've heard DD coffee is pretty popular so there you go. They even had a soft bag for the "fresh" (as in "freshly cleaned") remote. Good for them! Do you know how many people touch the remotes and at other hotels and they NEVER get cleaned!!?? Bed was ever so comfortable. The A/C - heat is controlled by thermostat. Don't let the non-smoking scare you off, just yet. Each room has either an outside balcony or patio!! So just go right outside your room and smoke all you want. But please be courteous and shut the sliding glass door before lighting up so the smell does not go back in the room. Each patio and balcony also had 2 chairs and a small table. This is the way non-smoking, at hotels, should be done!! Bathroom was fully updated with modern fixtures. My only complaint would be the lighting in the vanity area. It makes it look like when you hold a flashlight below your face in the dark ...kind of makes you look a little different and scary ...lol. Again, in no way a deal breaker. Don't drink the 2 water bottles (which "look" complimentary) unless you want to pay $2.00 each. It's in small print, that I missed, on the card on the bottles. This room had just about everything you could want. They even had a small store near the front desk that you could buy snacks and ice cream from. Lots of apartments in the area as you are right near the University of Colorado/Boulder. there's not much to eat on that side of the freeway so you will need to use your car to go do something like that. there's a Taco Bell, Egg and I, Starbucks and Wendy's on the other side of the freeway. Free complimentary hot breakfast that varies by day. All in all this was a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it to any one. It was a little out of my normal range but in the end it was worth it!!

    5
« Clean, affordable and comfortable »

This is a great hotel! The staff was wonderful, delicious, fresh breakfast buffet, and clean, comfortable room. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to town. It's a perfect hotel for parents of CU students to stay at when visiting their children for Parent's weekend, drop off week, etc.

« Pets Preferred Over Humans »

This pet-friendly hotel does not limit pet-friendly rooms to a specific section of the building. After complaining about a non-stop barking dog in the room next to me (I did not know it was a pet-friendly hotel), I was told I could move to another room. I spent the day traveling from the east coast on planes and shuttles to get to the hotel, had just settled in my room, and was exhausted. I was told I could pack up my stuff and they would put me in another room. In my opinion, they should have moved the pet owner, not me. The area around the sink also smelled very moldy. I had just gotten settled in the second room when a dog started barking in the room next door!! It felt like a bad dream. I called the front desk and they said that room wasn't supposed to have any pets, and they would look into it. There was no further barking after that. I will say the staff was apologetic and very professional. The room was a good value for the money, but the pet situation was intolerable, and I was offered nothing to compensate for these issues.

« No air! Hot tub nasty! »

Was highly dissatisfied room was really small had two small children no air hot tub is filled with nasty film. Originally planned on staying six nights left after three would have left sooner if I knew we were going to get charged for the whole reservation

« Klose Lymphedema Therapist Certification Lodging »

The Klose Lymphedema therapist certification course was taught at this hotel. The lodging was very nice- and a great price. Breakfast included a huge variety of hot options. The location is beautiful. The hotel as an outdoor pool, indoor hot tub, (small) work out room and free use of outdoor bikes. The bike trials are easy and take you along small streams. If you are taking the Klose course, you must stay at the hotel. The large round table and fireplace was a great place for classmates to meet in the evenings and continue stuyding.

« This motel will surprise you! »

This seems to an older motel however, I was quite genuinely surprised when I got to my room. Everything was extremely clean, warm, inviting, large and up to date. My room looked down over the pool, wishing I had brought a swim suit, but, never gave it a thought because most motel pools are closed down by this time of year. It was close to most everything that you would need and right off the main highway to Denver. I would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Great hotel and value »

Everything was done very well and especially the breakfast. Anything we needed during our stay was immediately taken care of.. Also very convenient location . We were able to use Lyft to get anywhere and they were at the hotel in no more than 3 minutes. You could also just walk to great natural foods grocery store and coffee shop as well as restaurants. On bicycle/pedestrian path so you can get anywhere safely.

    « Room smelled like smoke, A/C didn't work »

1st room smelled like smoke and covered up with a fragrance - 2nd room A/C didn't work, hair in the bathtub, doors thin to hallway - old property and covered up with fresh paint. Door to parking lot was supposed to secure after going in and out - broken - didn't secure.

    2
« Old, dirty, smelly, noisy »

Positive: Polite checkin gentleman REVIEW of facility: 1st room I was assigned smelled like cigarettes and fragrance- gag! Why is this even in the inventory!!!??? Clean and air it out! 2nd room was acceptable with smell, A/C didn't work, hair in the tub, carpet dirty, doors to exterior hall thin and you can see light under and around it- so basically you hear everything in hallway. Not impressed with this property at all. I would not recommend

    3
    « So-So Hotel »

This hotel has a very convenient location - easy highway access and quick to get to Pearl Street. The rooms could definitely use some updating - pictures on the website do match the rooms. The bathroom lighting is extremely dim, and walls are thin (you can hear others shower and use the restroom). The breakfast offerings are definitely the highlight of this hotel, but make sure you have your breakfast ticket, otherwise the woman who works in that area will not let you eat - she is rather rude and makes you feel as if you have to justify if you re-enter the breakfast room for a coffee refill.

    5
« Super Hotel in Boulder »

The entire staff, front desk and housekeeping, take their jobs seriously. They are so personable and accommodating. The hotel is well-located for restaurants, nearby malls and wonderful Pearl St. It is also near outdoor activities such as the The Flatirons. We certainly will try to return next year.

    4
« Nice hotel close to campus »

We stayed here for a conference at UC Boulder and made the 5-10 min easy walk to campus every day. There were also a few restaurants (i.e. Mexican, pizza, McDonalds, sports bar) within walking distance just across the street. Pearl St and airport were easily accessible via Uber as well. There were even bikes at the hotel that we could have used too! The hotel itself was fairly small with 2 interior corridor floors, but nice and had a heated outdoor pool. Every morning included a breakfast starting at 6:30a in the detached building (which also housed the small gym) and was filling with the usual coffee, juices, yogurts, fruits, breads, pastries, cereal, and 3 rotating hot items including eggs/meat. Rooms were adequate enough, but sink area outside of bathroom was tight/cramped, bedding with lots of pillows were a bit too big/fluffy, single lounging chair in corner was uncomfortable, slider to balcony with some seating had only view of student apartments (which was very loud late on weekend nights), and no separate desk (only chair to counter space partially blocking view of tv). Hotel is fine because of its location close to campus for short stays with only 1-2 guests per room, but longer stays with a larger family may not be as comfortable.

    3
    « Needs Improvement »

For the price should be much nicer in rooms. Bathroom needed updated badly. Lobby is first impression and the charm ends there. Neat pool area outside with little fire pits and hot tub nice. Just needs serious money poured into the rooms.

    5
    « clean and updated »

I would highly recommend this location..very clean, modern decor. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. check in and check out was quick and easy, The building was secure, the location was perfect for shopping and for eating out

    5
« Great location, clean, cool room »

Loves the rainforest shower head and the ability to open the glass door during the warm weather! Found this hotel on hotels tonight, and then became part of their parents' buff club. Didn't have time to try the pool, but it looked lovely too!

« Not my normal BWPlus experience »

Husband and I stayed 2 nights. First night and morning was okay. Beds, linens, bath towels (only 3) were nice. Shower was good. Grooming area was tiny with awful lighting (ended up applying makeup by the light of the sliding glass door). Toilet seemed to be loose from the wall. Next morning, could make only one cup of coffee (and that contained grounds) because 2 other pods exploded in the Keurig. Did not have breakfast at the hotel and we were out for the entire day. That night, we could not get the room to cool down. Kept hoping the AC would kick in. It did not. It was hot. The morning brought more exploding coffee pods, and the realization that our towels had not been replenished. So, after a sleepless night, no coffee, and sharing the one remaining towel for 2 showers, I went to the desk to check out and complain. Young man was apologetic, but only offered fresh towels. We were checking out! I said we were loyalty customers and hoped he could do better than that. We received a minimal discount. But wait, there's more! After checking out and leaving our key cards in the room, we packed up the car, and took our breakfast vouchers to the breakfast room, only to be locked out! ICING ON THE CAKE! Apparently (as told to us later by the breakfast attendant), upon checking in, someone should have told us we needed our key card to access the breakfast room. So, we waited until someone exited the room so we could get in. After cold bacon and a non-working toaster, we couldn't leave fast enough.

    « Clean and Convenient »

Hotel is clean, staff is friendly and location is convenient. One of the better hotel breakfasts I have had. Overall satisfied with my stay. The only issue I had was that the hotel did not apply the extra rewards points promised when you hang their "environmental" doorknob hanger refusing housekeeping during your stay. The staff didn't seem interested in figuring out how to fix that.

  • 4
« Very convenient to UC Boulder »

The Best Western is very convenient if your purpose is visiting UC Boulder. The hotel itself is fine but a bit dated. The rooms are clean but the decor could use some help. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was surprisingly big and extensive. Was only a 2min drive to the campus and within walking distance to a lot of student housing. Also located short drive from several restaurants.

    5
« super convenient for staying near the University of Colorado »

I spent a night here while visiting Boulder to speak at the University of Colorado. I arrived near midnight local time, and found check-in to be very fast. More importantly, even at that hour, I felt completely safe both outside and inside the hotel. Although my room was on the ground floor, near the lobby, the soundproofing was good enough that I wasn't woken up by outside noise. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was quite nice. My room came with a complimentary breakfast, which was served in the adjacent conference building. Breakfast consisted of the usual sorts of cold and hot items, including bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, English muffins, juices, and more. Although it was buffet-style, there was a waiter on hand to clear plates, which made the room seem less cluttered. I didn't get a chance to check out the gym, but that was because it was mild enough outside that I went for an easy run in the morning. Boulder has nice wide sidewalks as well as several multi-use paths throughout parks. All in all, this was a perfectly pleasant place to stay.

    5
    « clean, great location »

We chose this location because it was walking distance to CU Boulder, very pleased with our stay. We'll be visiting again later this month and will stay there. we used the bikes several times for biking around Boulder. Excellent breakfast!

    4
« Convenient hotel in Boulder »

I visited Boulder for both a family event and business matters. This hotel is conveniently placed. It is simply appointed and has basic amenities. The room was spacious and clean- not fancy but has good beds and decent furniture. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

    3
« smells like the highway »

Inside of the hotel was fine, but as soon as one stepped outside (including the room patios) it smelled like diesel, presumably because the hotel is right beside a major road/highway. Not super pleasant to walk anywhere. Also why is all the cutlery in the breakfast restaurant disposable, since there is clearly a dishwasher for the plates? Fine but you can do better.

    5
« When in Boulder this is outstanding place to stay... »

Many pluses about this place, and the quotes with photographs in each hallway are another very nice update for anyone. If you need to be near the University this location is hard to beat. Close to everything and quick dash onto freeway to go visit Denver. Good separation of location for breakfast area, which is well staffed and comfortable and the hot tub is in its own little building, overlooking the attractive pool area. Enjoy your stay.

    5
« The BEST Best Western in the country! »

The decor is modernized; the rooms are refreshingly clean; the staff is friendly; management is on IT-anticipating your every need; the meeting rooms are always set up as instructed by our contract. Breakfast is pretty much the same as others but it served with a touch of class-cute plates & plasticware that looks like stainless steel. The room had a fridge but no microwave. I travel all over the country speaking to my women and I have to say this is a the best Best Western in the country!

« The little things really add up »

As an experienced traveler I wanted to salute this hotel with a review (only the second I ever bothered to write) .So many little things I admired about this property. 1) There's an exhaust fan in the bathroom! How many hotels have you stayed in...even 5-star...that didn't plan this in their construction. When you are traveling with others this little nicety keeps everyone happy. 2) The A/C switches from heat to cold. During my September stay in this beautiful mountain side community the outside weather went from 80 degree days to 40 degree. days. Being able to go from cooling to heating was important. From my experience, many hotels offer one...or the other. 3) You can keep the HVAC fan on continuously in either mode. Who wants to hear the thump of the A/C going on and off all night...and feel the room warming between thumps. Why doesn't every hotel have this sleep-saving / white-noise-creating option? 4) Electrical outlets galore...without even crawling around on the floor or pushing the mattress away from the wall. Both bed lamps had 110 volt outlets...as well as the frequently found outlet on the desk. I found the extra outlets useful. 5) Unbelievably fast wifi! No problem streaming Netflix that's for sure. I did a speed test and as I recall it was something like 70Mbps which is faster than I have with my cable modem at home. I mentioned this to the manager at the front desk who said that many of their regular customers are scientists who are visiting the University...or one of the 16 scientific institutes located in Boulder. They insist on it. I'm glad they do.

    « Great »

Beautiful fairly small hotel. It was in a great location, easy to find and near Chataqua (hiking) and various restaurants, grocery and coffee places. The hotel was surrounded with beautiful landscape and planted mums- it was impressive. Quality and cleanliness was very nice. Overall very lovely stay.

    4
« Convenient and good value »

We stayed for our honeymoon. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park. It is over an hour to the park but we didn't mind. The price was good and so was the breakfast. The view from our room 238 overlooked the pool and mountain. There are good options for food in town. Didn't realize this was a college town so I imagine it is not as busy in summer. Overall good value.

    « A wonderful experience, no I'm joking! »

So many problems in this hotel: -Room are very noisy, I think the hotel is old and you can hear the conversation of your Neighbors. Take a room at the first floor or you will be waken up as soon as somebody walks -My phone has been stolen either in the breakfast room or in my room -Looking for my phone, I found many items in my room: glasses and a purse -> cleanliness, great! -The bar maintaining the curtains fell on me when I Drew them -When repairing it, the staff put plaster on my clothes, great! -At checkout, they charged me $400 instead of refunding me as I was leaving earlier -> I won't go in this hotel again

    3
    « Decent Hotel »

If you're looking for a place to stay that's right off the highway, this is a good place. A little awkward to get in and out of, but once you figure it out, not too bad. Room was decent, clean but not immaculate. Décor was okay - nothing fancy. Shower was amazing. Lighting for makeup was not great - lots of reflection in the mirror. Staff was friendly, and the breakfast was excellent.

    4
    « Nice overall »

Spent a week at this property in Boulder. Good sized room but could use a bit of updating. Lighting over sink is not good making it very difficult for hair and makeup, also my husband had difficulty shaving without decent light. The breakfast is above average, which is nice considering the price of the room. We enjoyed the pool area but hot tub was WAY too hot. Everyone who used it complained, and it was turned down towards the end of our stay. All in all a nice hotel though.

    4
    « Confused but comfy »

Hotel is comfortable just hard to locate . Once found it was easier. But you can see the sign just difficutl to get to. Very few Restaurants, settled for Wendy's. For Supper. Breakfast was first rate. Just like going out to eat since you leave the hotel to walk to another building for breakfast. The overlook of the village of Boulder is well worth the drive. Just watch our for the crazy bicyclists.

« Comfortable, good service, noisy fans »

This motel has a convenient central location, rooms and common areas nicely decorated, dual-pane windows, room to room sound about average for motels, comfy beds. We did not use our AC system much, but on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed, a neighbor kept their AC on all night, and their AC fan noise was bothersome in our room. When the neighbor's AC fan was off, our room was quiet. Staff was attentive to our needs - unfortunately, they could not change out the noisy fans.

    « Nice Hotel »

We used to stay at the Best Western Golden Buff when in Boulder but, alas, it's gone so we have been looking for a replacement. This could almost be it but not quite. Lodging in Boulder is pricey and this hotel is no exception. The room was clean and comfortable, the patio was perfect for our dog, and the environment felt very safe. The location was far enough from Pearl Street and the iconic McGuckin's that we had to maneuver thru Boulder traffic more than we would have liked. The complimentary breakfast was very nice but I really wish, since this is Boulder, more organic/vegetarian/vegan options were available. The only issue we had was the clogged shower drain that allowed water to run all over the bathroom floor and onto the carpet. Fortunately we had enough towels to sop up the water after my husband unclogged the drain so we could finish showering. We reported the issue to the front desk and they said they would have maintenance fix it but really it would have been nicer had they offered us a discount on the room. I guess this didn't qualify since we sorta fixed the problem ourselves!

    « Great Stay! »

Clean, comfortable bed, great breakfast. Friendly staff. Convenient location (in town for a wedding). Type of rooms should be identified on internet website. Thought we were getting more in our room than we did. Also, they charge your room if you drink the water bottles that appear to be complimentary. Need a towel bar by the hand sink.

« great option in boulder »

Compared to the cost of the other local hotels, the Best Western Plus was a great value. rooms were clean and spacious. Location was only 1-2 miles from Pearl street and an easy bike ride (free bikes provided by the hotel). My only complaint was that the bed was too soft and I had to sleep on the floor.

« Comfortable, quiet,. All you want without glitz. »

Very pleasant place to stay. Very convenient to town. I have young grandchildren living nearby and the ability to enjoy the pool with them was wonderful. It's a great pool. The hotel offers "free" borrowed bikes provided by a local real estate company. They try to sell you real estate afterward, but nice enough about it.

« Convenient, clean, great staff »

This hotel is one of the few dog-friendly spots in Boulder. The staff couldn't be more accommodating and polite. Rooms are always clean, some are nicer than others of course. Love that every room has a balcony/porch. The included breakfast always has hot options and the staff are very helpful there, too. Good toiletries and coffee maker in room.

« Good Staging for Flight Out of Denver International »

After a week on the road, finishing with a trip through Rocky Mountain National Park, the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn was a great overnight stay to finish out the trip and get us to Denver International in about an hour. The room was clean - bathroom efficient. The room did have a bit of a musty clean smell. The pool area was pretty good considering the property is very close to a busy, major highway I would recommend that the property managers take a look at the area in back of the hot tub area. It could use some tlc and a broom. The breakfast area was excellent and efficient. Included in the $179 rate. Overall a good stay.

« Best Western Plus Boulder Inn vs. Boulder Marriott: Both Recommended »

Boulder has only a handful of good places to stay, and It can be hard to find a room at all in the city. This is a good choice. (Another is the Boulder Marriott, where I most recently stayed, which has its own attractions. Please see my separate review.) The Best Western Plus Boulder Inn It has large rooms, a pool with a view of the Flatirons, and a friendly staff. Its glass-walled lobby is a welcoming sight, especially at night, and I imagine more so in winter. It is close enough to the University of Colorado to walk to most or all of it, including the stadium. While at the hotel, I heard some new arrivals express disappointment that the hotel is not on the Pearl Street Mall. Actually no hotels in the city of Boulder are on Pearl Street, not even the luxury hotel, the St. Julien Hotel and Spa. This isn't the closest hotel to Pearl Street, but it, like everything else in Boulder, is a short drive or bus ride away. I should note that while I sponsored a group to stay at this hotel, I wasn't able to stay there myself. Still, I got to know the property and staff. I interacted with several employees over a 10 day period. Ari, the Director of Sales, was helpful and responsive. At the front desk, I remember Chris, a manager, and Camile the short-timer (who was headed to a new career, a loss to the hotel). All were friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a breakfast room and meeting rooms in a separate building across the driveway. The breakfast looked good. My daughter Vivian, who did eat there, rated it above other hotels where we've recently stayed. I have to say that I was a little envious that the Boulder Marriott didn't offer breakfast like this hotel did. I was also sorry that I didn't use the pool, especially since the one at the Marriott was closed. I also inspected a room. It was unusually spacious by the the standards of a mid-priced hotel and would have been comfortable for a long stay like the one I had.

« Great location, nice hotel »

This hotel is very conveniently location - 2 minutes from our son's apartment and 5 minutes from campus and downtown. It's received a major overhaul over the past few years and is really nice. The rooms are nicely appointed. The beds are super comfortable. Every room has a small patio with lawn furniture, that's nice for hanging out. The breakfast buffet is well-stocked and even had fresh berries (very unusual for a restaurant buffet).

    « Freshman weekend experience »

Staff had a bit of confusion about cancellation policy. Issues related to company-wide promotions for desk staff. Good campus location. Breakfast could be better, and should focus on more natural foods. Shower was broken, should be fixed.

« In need of updating »

I always stay in this hotel when visiting my son in Boulder but it is time to update all the rooms. I was not so happy for the price that I paid. The employees are great. The location is perfect. The area very quiet and closed to the university and stores.

« Best Hotel In Boulder - Best Western »

I love when my company books a stay at Boulder Best Western because it is the best of the best hotels. I travel a great deal and stay in average of 2-3 hotels per week throughout the year all over the US and internationally. Love Boulder where the GM takes a personal stake in making sure I have all I want - even gives a FREE bottle of wine to frequent guests! Image something FREE from a hotel! The rooms are decorated for relaxation, the lobby is easy to hang out in and the pool is fine too.

    « Love this place »

Great staff. Friendly, quick, helpful. Place is clean and love the decor, quotes in the hall. Bikes are a nice bonus. Breakfast bar is best EVER! I come here a lot for work as very consistent quality. Highly recommend it.

« Family weekend at Boulder! »

The restaurant was under construction during our stay but the staff were on top of everything. Courteous staff, clean and comfy rooms, nice breakfast selection. Close proximity to Bed Bath and Beyond to pick up dorm order. Grocery and RX a few streets away (within walking distance). Excellent location for move in! Highly recommend.

    « Bad sleep »

Fancy place, big room with tv, rand refrigerator and king size bed. Nice and clean. But the bed sagged and the ventilation system was very loud and you couldn't turn it off. But the window didn't open, so if we had turned it off, the room would have been stuffy. I can do without the fancy lobby and dressy staff in favor of a good sleep. We did like the Terry bathrobes. This place has a pool and gym if you're staying long enough, and breakfast is included, with fresh fruit.

« Great place to stay! »

Very clean and comfortable. Room looked recently updated. Although a bit more that we like to spend, it was more affordable than most places in Boulder. Loved the makeup mirror and large table in room to get ready as sink/vanity by bathroom is only for one person. Short Uber drive to Pearl St. Did not use pool, but it looked great. Plenty of outlets near bed/nightstand which is so convenient. Great hot breakfast! Would definitely stay again!

    « Disappointed. »

We were disappointed with our stay. The staff was great but the hotel was a bit rundown. Our room needed a big make over. It looked tired and run down. Housecleaning forgot to clean our room which ticked us off. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with many good selections. Location wise it was great. Real close to Colorado Univ. campus. We paid over $300/night so we expected better.

    « Great customer service »

We decided last minute to attend our son's graduation. We are a 7 hour drive from Boulder, Colorado so I booked our room using TripAdvisor and Booking.com. I chose the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn. I was looking for a specific area so our travel time to CU would be short, they also had a breakfast so it fit the bill. Our booking was a last minute decision, I was in a hurry and....I booked on the wrong dates....whoops.... I totally messed it up. When my mistake came to our attention the front desk, told us to contact Booking.com whom I had used as our booking agent. David of Booking.com was very pleasant, helpful and understanding of my situation. He could tell I was in a panic and did not know what to do. David brought it to my attention that I had booked a non refundable room....uuuggghhhh ....obviously I was ....WHAT in the world was I thinking when I did this.....David went above and beyond to contact Best Western Plus in Boulder Colorado and explain the situation. Chris the manager or assistant manager was very helpful and agreed to cancel our reservation with no fee. Thank you both so much for helping me in a stressful situation that was all my doing. We had a wonderful time in Boulder and attended our son's graduation. I would recommend both businesses due to their customer service and pleasant demeanor when I was in a panic. Thank you again David and Chris.

    « Perfect service »

Stayed for 1 night en route from Moab to mt Rushmore. Friendly staff at the front desk, spotless room and very good breakfast service. The whole place seems to be refurbished recently. Everything was just fresh and up to date. The gym and pool are also very good. I'd recommend it for sure.

« Good location; acceptable accommodations »

The hotel is clean and pleasant. Staff is friendly. A small question about billing was handled quickly and satisfactorily. I will probably stay there again. If I had been given the option, I would have rated the hotel experience good. A few disappointments: 1. Soundproofing seemed to be non-existent. I had yappy dogs in the room next to me one day and loud teenage boys probably on the floor above another. I strongly suggest requesting a second floor room to avoid clomping above your head when trying to sleep. 2. There was no grab bar in the shower. This may have been legal, but frankly, I was surprised at the lack of concern about the safety of guests. 3. There was no way to charge a cell phone on the night table next to the bed. While there was an accessible plug in the lamp on the dresser, I want my phone next to me at night and expect to be able to charge it while I sleep. 4. The Keurig coffee machine was a nice touch, but there was no way to make tea.

    5
    « Under the Radar »

We love staying at the Best Western Plus in Boulder, CO. It is in walking distance to the University of Colorado, which comes in handy for parents' weekend and graduation. While the complimentary continental breakfast is typical fare, it is hardy and handy if you want a quick bite before starting your day. The rooms are nice, with clean bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. Most have views of the Flat Irons.

    4
    « Great Ambience »

The hotel has been constructed with beautiful stone work. The lobby and artwork is modern. Bathrooms are recently renovated. Rooms and bed are comfortable. There is a small business center off the lobby. The conference center is modern. Breakfast room has a nice patio. Food was typical Americana. The downside is no on site restaurant. Elevator is a long walk from the lobby. The first floor rooms face the parking directly.

    5
    « Clean and updated »

This Best Western Plus was in a great location to see CU Boulder with our teenage son. The room was clean and quiet. The hot breakfast was great, especially compared to some other hotels that offer continental breakfast. The employees were all cheerful and helpful. The only tricky thing was finding it - you have to take a "frontage" road that runs parallel to the highway. It's a bit confusing to find!

    « Always a pleasure! »

While this hotel is an older hotel in Boulder, they have done a lot in the past few years to upgrade the rooms, lobby, breakfast area and fitness room. We come with a softball team the first week of July and have for the past 7+ years and the staff and hotel manager go far beyond the call of duty to honor our room requests and meet all our needs. We love our stay here every year and hopefully will for many more years to come.

    « Late on Arrival »

Well, we were only there for one night for a wedding the next day, but our flight was delayed 7 hours, so we only got to use the room for four hours of sleep in the morning before the wedding. The bed was very comfy. The staff were accommodating when we informed them of our delayed flight. The bacon was good, but the biscuits were cold.

    4
« Good Location, Best Breakfast »

The hotel is conveniently located and rooms are modern. Best breakfast we've had at any Best Western served in a roomy modern dining room. Breakfast included fresh berries, different egg dishes every day, pancake and waffle makers, croissant and other pastries and the usual hot and cold breakfast foods. Coffee to our liking could have been a bit stronger. Margaret was friendly and made sure everyone's needs were met. We did have a problem closing our room's door and noticed others had to bang their doors to close them. Also bath faucet was backwards - cold was hot, hot was cole. Rates were a bit high, but it's Boulder! Otherwise a comfortable stay.

    « Enjoyable stay! »

Upon checking in we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and modern the entire facility is. Juan at the front desk was great! Rooms were immaculate, pool was well cared for, even the landscaping was perfect. Great breakfast and good location. I would recommend to anyone and we will definitely book in the future when in Boulder.

    5
« Clean, comfortable, beautiful hotel »

This hotel is wonderful, and all the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Myra in housekeeping, Anthony in maintenance, Celine and Andrew in breakfast, and Juan, Zoe, and Brittany at the front desk all helped to make my visit perfect!

« Convenient place to stay in Boulder »

Pro - Very good location near UCBoulder campus. The outdoor amenities are excellent - a pool area with nice décor against the backdrop of the mountains with outdoor fire pits and separate hot tub room. Staff was very attentive. Con - the room was not as clean as I usually expect. Carpet is dated and the floor in the bathroom needed real cleaning - more than a broom. That could have just been bad timing - as my stay was the night after the hotel had been fully booked for a Grateful Dead concert, so there was likely a lot of partying in the rooms and the DeadHeads were late checking out so there was little time to turn over the rooms for check-in.

we had a very good stay the only issue was on the side of building their was the name bolder inn, I thought I was at the wrong place, all worked out good and our stay was good the breakfast was good coffee was above average. Thank you for the stay

« Great place to stay in Boulder »

The hotel is convenient to the University campus (both main campus and Williams Village). The service is excellent -- friendly and helpful. The amenities are good -- the WiFi worked well and fast; the pool area was pleasant and comfortable; and the breakfast was good with a wide range of choices. (My only recommendation to the hotel: make the bacon a little bit crisper.)

    3
« Very nice rooms, somehow overpriced, poor insulation to other rooms »

The hotel had a nice pool, clean and modern rooms, and a nice patio. The one thing that was really not nice was the poor insulation to other rooms. I consider a quiet room one of the essential things when booking a hotel. We could easily hear the neighbours laugh and talk. Unfortunately this was rather early and late, and unfortunately one girl in there had a horrible laugh. Recognizing that this could have been different with other neighbours it still leave it to chance. Minor: Service was ok, but when I asked about possibilities to organize a shuttle bus from the airport I had to do that myself.

    « Perfect »

No better place to stay in Boulder for events at Folsom Field. Don't bother looking just book here. Beatiful view of the Flatirons overlooking pool. Every comfort of home. See you next year, assuming Dead and Company return. Thank You for the wonderful stay.

« Great Place to Stay »

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very professional and helpful while staying there. The hotel is clean, beds are great, and the amenities are what is needed. If you looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay, this is a great place. The breakfast is your usual hotel breakfast, but the offering is large and you can get what you need without searching or spending time looking for a breakfast spot.

« Great Hotel Staff and Pool »

Stayed here while in town for concerts Friday and Saturday. The staff was great and extremely responsive. The pool area was relaxing and the breakfast was good. I would suggest offering coffee in the lobby in the morning for those that just want a cup of coffee and not wanting to deal with the breakfast crowd, tickets etc. The only negative was that the per night rate was very high but that was most likely due to a couple big events in Boulder that weekend.

    5
    « Great hotel »

We had an excellent stay here for three nights! The service is outstanding! The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. Can't say anything negative about our experience at all!!! Will go back when in the area!

    2
    « NO HOT WATER! »

If you're considering this hotel, there is only one thing you need to know. In the morning, THE HOT WATER REGULARLY RUNS OUT, leaving you to SHOWER IN COLD WATER! The reason I know it happens regularly that the front desk clerk told me so when I called at 7.30am to ask what had happened to the hot water. Quote: "when we have a lot of guests, there is sometimes not enough hot water" and "the owner is trying to fix the ongoing problem". From 7am to 9am during our stay, the water in the bathroom ran cold. Not even lukewarm. Cold. As far as I'm concerned, any positives about this hotel (and sure, the breakfast was decent and it's located well for the highway) are outweighed by the fact that they cannot guarantee a hot shower in the morning. That's a deal breaker.

    « 21st BDay »

    « Very Happy! »

Very nice, clean, updated room, comfortable bed, very nice pool area. Fitness room was nice. Breakfast was outstanding. Dining area is very nice. Staff was very accommodating. We were thoroughly impressed with Best Western. We will definitely be looking to stay with Best Western when we travel.

« Very expensive stay in a below average hotel »

There was nothing wrong with the room, it was of average size, clean with TV and coffee facilities. There was no mini bar, the view was into the carpark which was being developed, so noisy and dusty. The hotel does not have a bar. The breakfast was a disappointment, composed of your usual American calorie loading bacon, scrambled dehydrated eggs, corn syrup with pancakes/waffles. On the first day of our stay they had croissants but not again as apparently they get delivered on Fridays only. There was some fresh fruit, but again this would run out by mid morning. Not really good enough for $200+ per night price tag. If there were no options in Boulder and I had to have a room for the night, I would do it again but otherwise there are better options.

    4
    « Good, clean, convenient »

This is our second stay here, this hotel is right across the highway from CU and surrounded by student apartments. 5 minutes away from Pearl Street. Rooms are good size, beds are comfortable, each room has a balcony, sink area has been updated. Friendly staff and a pretty good "free" breakfast.

    5
    « A simple gem »

Newly renovated and modernized. Great location for transportation to/from airport and around Boulder. Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. Didn't use pool but looked nice. Very helpful staff throughout stay.

« Boulder Best Western, keep remodeling »

Room was dingy, felt very exposed to street on 1st floor, door latch broken, overpriced, they are remodeling, breakfast and staff overall were great just an old hotel needs a lot of work. Great location for CU will always be in demand, they seemed to be trying hard.

    4
« Nice property, hard to find »

Staff was very helpful, breakfast very good. This place was very hard to find, even with a GPS. Lots of oneway streets. There were some restaurants in walking distance. Young man at the desk was great helping us navigate the computer to get us checked into our flight.

« Busy Time of Year But Still Pleasant »

I am part of the BW Summit Club and the Inn let me know that they were taking reservations for graduation stays. If you know Boulder (college town), this is a very busy time when all hotels and inns book up way in advance, just like at the beginning of a school year. When I initially called to book a room with 2 queen beds I was told only rooms with a king bed were available. I asked to be put on a waiting list in case a queen room opened up and initially was told I needed to call in periodically to see if one opened up. I emailed a manager to be put on a list and was told she could confirm that I had gotten one. Thank you very much! The location is great, and rooms are clean and well maintained. There is a coffee maker, small refrigerator and flat screen t.v. in the rooms. One of the best things is the morning breakfast. Make your own pancakes or waffle, fresh fruit, an egg dish that changes daily, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt, etc. Free parking is also a plus. This was a very busy weekend but every person who worked at the Inn that we encountered, from the front desk clerk to the housekeeping staff, was very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay.

    « Weekend in Boulder »

We checked in on Saturday 5/8 for 2 nites. Lobby was clean, staff was very courtesy. Our room had a slight view of Flat Irons, which was very nice. Room was clean loved the Keurig on the room. Lighting for bathroom could have been better. Breakfast was very good. Gym was nice. Overall was a nice stay. I personally think the rooms are a little over priced though for what you get.

    4
« Good Hotel, Great Staff, Poor Location »

The staff was friendly and very helpful, best aspect of the hotel. Its exactly what you expect from a 4 star hotel. Potentially a 5 star hotel if it was more accessible. Overall, very satisfied with my stay, breakfast, and staff.

« Nice night at a clean motel. »

We stayed here for one night. The front desk staff was very friendly and professional. Check was handled very quickly. They explained the layout very well. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The bed was comfy and pillows just right. The pool area is awesome. Look very clean. The only reason not a five star is the hot tub does not work. That is what we wanted. Only one jet in a huge hot tub worked. They really should fix this or not lost it in their ad.

    4
    « Comfortable, Affordable, Friendly »

Stayed here for a week, and would stay again. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the flatiron mountains. The breakfast offered a big variety of options, and the staff had a smile and helpful attitude every day.

« Super Clean and what a breakfast »

The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Everyone greeted me with a smile. The hotel was super clean and felt well cared for. I was here for a conference and the conference rooms were modest in size and a great space. Lots of usable amenities. I have been to many continental breakfasts in my time and this one is the best of them all. My first day they had eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce. The staff is friendly and be sure to bring you breakfast ticket. They are serious about that. Good stuff. I think the OJ had pulp in it too -which is great. I'll be back here.

    3
    « Just so,so »

Clean, fair for the price, a 5-8 minute car ride to the center of town for restaurants, etc. No microwave in rm or on the floor, have to go down to lobby for that and a snack. No tea bags, no hot water available, just thru the Kureg machine. Most staff was not to helpful with directions, computer glare midday made if very difficult to see screen, ("yes we just got some complaints" - how could you not know this??). No brochures in lobby for things to do.

    « Good value »

Boulder is an expensive place overall, so this hotel was quite a bargain! It is easy to find, is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and CU, and offers an excellent hot breakfast. I would stay here again.

    4
    « A nice Best Western! »

The recent renovation was an excellent move and we got the hotel for a great bargain at $110 a night. If you want a hotel where you can park the car ( for free) and leave it while you are in town this is it! They have embraced Boulder lifestyle with free bicycle loans. Its just 2 miles to pearl street by biking through boulder creek park and campus. Close to flatirons for hiking and campus is spitting distance so you can visit the CU museums by walking through campus from hotel. All the rooms have a patio or balcony. Ask for a sunrise facing balcony if you want to eat breakfast on your patio. Its not a five star rating because there are a few weird things. 1) A hole in the floor with a big cutout in the carpet shows that some work was done in the floor after the carpet was put down leaving the floor uneven. 2) The refrigerator had just one setting ( frozen on the bottom shelf, cold on the top shelf. We stayed 3 nights and tried a different frig setting each day with the same result. 3) The screen door doesnt latch into anything so their is a gap and bugs and animals can get in if left unattended. 4) As another review mentions, the boxspring mattress are not great but I have stayed at swankier places with worse beds. 5) the old bathroom and room doors have not been replaced so it reminds you you are still in a best western by I found it a silly juxtaposition to the renovations.

« We are glad we found this hotel in Boulder »

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. It is located less than a mile from our son's apartment so the location was ideal for us. We loved the complimentary breakfast every morning! Our room was clean and neat and comfortable. The hotel was very quiet.

« stay for conference on world affairs »

stayed at best western in boulder, co with another lady friend to attend conference on world affairs at cu boulder, which is a free annual event with panel discussions on different topics concerning world events, politics, environment, etc. The hotel was very clean and very close to cu campus. I rode my bicycle to the events and really enjoyed it. The beds and pillows were especially comfortable. The free breakfast included hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, along with fruit, bagels, etc. The coffee was good and strong like I like. Reservations--have to stay at least 3 nights to get a refundable room. I don't care for that. But highly recommend the hotel.

    3
    « Close but overpriced »

I booked this reserrvation because it looked like it was walking distance to Boulder, but because it is along a very high wall next to a highway onramp, the mileage is misleading. The staff was very friendly. The rooms average. The roll away cot was truly the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on - big, wire coils in my back without much padding.

    3
« Death to box springs »

I really wish hotels would figure out that box springs are the spawn of Satan. just a mattress on a platform is preferred - box springs make the bed move = one of us has to sleep in the floor. this hotel was not nearly as nice as the photos on the internet. the front entry and conference center are brand new, but the rest is pretty old and run down. the water pressure was excellent in the shower, but then the tub didn't drain... the bed was comfortable when I was the only one in it...

    4
« Great location, better value than comparable properties in Boulder »

This hotel has one of the best locations if you need to be close to the University. Comfortable rooms, with a mini fridge and microwave. Front desk staff are consistently courteous, even friendly. Breakfast is basic but free so no complaints at all. There's been some construction going on for awhile but it's only during the daytime so shouldn't affect most travelers. Boulder hotel rooms can run a bit pricey, especially toward the beginning and end of the school year when demand is high from visiting parents. This hotel, however, tends to be the best value among 3-to-4 star places for its combination of location, room comfort and amenities (free wifi, pool, breakfast). This isn't a luxury place but if you're not spending a lot of time in your room, there's no reason in my mind to pay up for it.

    3
« Good location, not that good at solving problems »

When I checked in, the rate was higher than what we agreed to. The clerk couldn't change the rate in the computer or otherwise help. So, after flying and waiting in airports for 14 hours--right there at the check-in desk at 11:00 at night--I had to cancel the second and third days of my reservation, and then rebook through Expedia to get a lower rate. While the staff was all very nice, they just were not trained or empowered to solve problems. Even so, it is basically a nice place and located very near the university.

    « Looks fantastic I didn't recognize it. »

I had stayed at this hotel in the past and my only qualm was the exterior but that is looking fantastic now. It must be what all the construction comments were about. Staff and room were fantastic. I decided to return because of the breakfast and it was better than I remembered.

    « Great Boulder Stay »

We love this hotel for its professional and helpful staff. They seem to respond to each request as if it's as important to them as it is to the customer. The rooms are nice, the breakfast is fine and the location is great. We hope to carry on our tradition and return next year.

« Nice location, quiet, great value but construction is loud »

Nice hotel, clean, and flexible. Great value for Boulder, and close to the campus we were visiting. The showers have great water pressure which was a real treat, coming from CA where there's a drought! The breakfast is included and there' a great selection. The staff is friendly and helpful and I'd stay there agin.

« AT LEAST THE BEDS ARE GREAT »

The motel is OLD and seems to be constantly under construction. Our room was clean, the beds were good and shower pressure was great...the room just seemed dated and stale. The floor in our 1st floor room wasn't level and we almost fell a few times. I give it a "C-"

« Great Best Western Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel earlier this month. The hotel staff was very helpful from the start. The employee who checked us in asked us if there was anything he could help us with (restaurants, sights, directions). He took the time to give us a map and mark what we were interested in. He recommended an excellent Italian restaurant that was just a mile down the road. We loved the suite. It was roomy and comfortable. We decided (for an extra $20.00) to upgrade to a room with a fireplace. It was well worth it. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

    « Nice hotel, but an energy-waster »

The inside of the hotel and the staff are very nice, but the outside is under construction. This makes it a little hard to find from the road, and some amenities are harder to access. For some reason, they leave all of the lights and the fan in the room on all day, wasting a lot of electricity.

    5
    « Feels Like Home »

I have stayed at the BW Boulder Inn several times and have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff made me feel at home and the amenities are second to none. The rooms tastefully decorated and very clean. I will be back.

    « Great Hotel...perfect location »

Stayed at this hotel and all was great! Nice upgrades & modern. Nice view & location. Good selection for breakfast. Our room was clean, quiet & comfy. Friendly courteous staff. We would stay here again.

« Under Construction But Nice »

They have modernized this hotel and the rooms were immaculate. Even though it is off a highway the fan ran all night on the AC and we slept great. Loved the lay out of the room and the comfort. The breakfast was amazing serving cappuccinos, espressos and more. Despite being under construction I can see how this hotel would be a great choice. It is also very close to everything Boulder.

« Great place to stay in Boulder »

This Best Western was perfect for attending an event at Colorado University. Easy walking distance to the campus. Also, if you don't mind a short walk of a mile or two, it was walking distance to the Flatiron Mountains. I walked to the park and then did a beautiful hike on the Flatiron Mountains loop.

« GREAT LOCATION AND GREAT SERVICE »

We were traveling with two dogs, and this place was great for them. It's just one underpass away from the campus, so plenty of space for the doggies to get some exercise. Everything in our room was clean and in good repair, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is far better than most. No complaints - would recommend - especially if you have hounds!

« Not up to BEST of Best western »

The hotel needs somework and looks like they've acknowledged that piece. lots of remodelling going on but it doesnt seem to be a piece that will affect the guests happiness. The remodel of a conference room? really? 2 million dollars from what the response of managers have been? how about the carpets, mold in ceiline bathrooms, tile in bathrooms, or the super ghetto door locks that have no lights on in the middle of the night? ever heard of a room key? There is no coffee or water in lobby like every single other hotel I have been to has. Also still not ada compliant...even after this 2 million renovation, still not handicap accessible. I think that violates law. its 2016.

    2
    « Mold »

There was mold in the bathroom ceiling. Clearly they had a water leak. Yuck. We were moved; however, they put someone else in the room immediately after they changed our room. Yuck again. I had prepaid and got a surcharge on the room after I checked out which was for something i did not use. I called to have them reverse the charge, which they did not do. Finally had to call Amex. Inedible breakfast food. Not staying here again if I can possibly help it. Also price gouging for the week I went. 300.00/night for a motel.

    5
    « Very Nice Hotel »

The hotel has been renovated and it looks really good. I stayed there 3 years ago and what a surprise when I returned just recently. I would definitely stay there again! Free breakfast was very good and the rooms were very comfortable.

    5
    « Great staff »

They appear to be almost finished with a massive remodel of the exterior. It looks like they already did the interior. I'm particularly needy and the staff were great. Every time they were friendly and helpful. I'll be back.

    2
« Very weak customer service, terrible Wifi (useless) »

Rude and inattentive front desk at check-in, and WiFi so bad you literally can't get anything done. Won't ever stay here again. They're doing a bunch of remodeling so the place looks bad. The rooms are nice enough, but the experience at check-in wasn't a nice start, and despite asking for WiFi to be looked at, it's still so weak and slow, it's impossible to get work done.

    « President »

It was awesome. It is very nice and breakfast has so many options to some very tasty food. Nice large room. Staff was very friendly. Being across the street I was within walking distance to University of Colorado.

    3
    « Nice Follow up »

The room was remodeled and nice. The housekeeping was a problem and we had a problem with the heater. But the real problem was after a pre paid deal we received a charge on our card afterwards. I called BW customer service and later on a Sunday afternoon the Manager came into work and called me to share what had happened and reversed the error. He really made the effort as did the BW customer service nationally. They made the best of what had happened. Overall we like this hotel. I think there are some housekeeping issues and some equipment issues to work on. But a nice facelift and great location.

    3
    « Ok »

Nothing special but the room was clean and the price was reasonable. Not where you would go on a honeymoon, but you don't have to worry about becoming a sidewalk chalk drawing either. Decent if you come into town and need a place to sleep and take a shower.

    4
    « Friendly »

Although there is some building works, during the day, it did not bother us. Was clean, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was good and varied. They loan you bicycles for free but they are heavy and like little tanks. It is not far from lots shopping and restaurants.

    3
« Okay location, under construction, nice staff »

The hotel is under renovation, so a bit of a mess. The location was not bad. Best part about the stay was the staff. They were very good, quick responding, and available. The breakfast included was also okay. Even with the low temperature in the room at night, the bed was too hot.

    « Under renovation--call first! »

Overall this is a pretty nice property for a Best Western. However, it's currently under renovation (as of the week of October 3) so if you plan on spending any time in your room during day time hours, consider staying somewhere else if construction noise will be problematic! We just had a large group stay there and we unfortunately didn't find out about this until it was too late to make other plans. You also currently have to walk outside to get to the breakfast area, so consider that as well if you have mobility issues or if the weather is poor. Not sure how much longer renovations are planned for, so call first to find out!

    « Close to Campus »

The staff at the hotel was very helpful and pleasant. I selected this hotel because it was walkable to the CU Boulder campus. The hotel was located on a very busy street that was somewhat isolated but close to a Starbucks, Einsteins and Whole Foods. Next time I would probably stay near Pearl Street, closer to shops and restaurants. The rooms were fine and the beds had duvet covers:) The exterior of the hotel was under construction and the plans look nice. Our rollaway bed was very uncomfortable. The courtyard pool setting was nice. Breakfast was nice but it you want a good latte you will have to walk to Starbucks.

    4
« Friendly, Great Location for CU Boulder »

I have a student attending CU Boulder and this hotel is conveniently located with very polite staff, some beautiful views of the Flatiron Mountains and a great breakfast. It will be especially nice when the construction is finished.

    « Drive a little, save a ton. »

Totally disappointed with this best western. I stopped in Boulder on my way to Denver...big mistake. I guess the owners think that since it's a college town and since parents' night was coming up, they get to charge $188/night for substandard accommodations. Granted, they were in the middle of a renovation, but the overall place was cramped, the room was substandard and WAY overpriced. I would imagine that after the adjoining eating area is finished, this place will try and gouge unsuspecting travelers with an even more outrageous price. Wife and I ended up at a Fairfield closer to the denver area the next day. $100 cheaper and much nicer. Stay away from Boulder. It's an overpriced small college town. Wade williams

    « Difficult Stay »

My stay at this hotel was difficult, to say the least. But let me start with the Good. The hotel has recently been renovated and for the most part it's lovely. The pool and surrounding deck is fantastic, with large comfortable lounge sofas and umbrellas. The pool is large for smaller hotels. The rooms also are quite nice and the beds are really comfortable. The lounge chair in my room was great, with a footrest that allowed me to kick back and take a nap. The bathroom area also was nice, with good amenities. The Bad. In the bathroom they should have paid more attention to the ceiling instead of slapping some putty over cracks and leak spots. Housekeepers should keep a bottle of Tilex on their belts. Also, what is it about hotel towels!? I can't stand the kind that are so rough they abrade your top layer of skin, like these did. And single-ply toilet paper? Come on, splurge a little. Housekeeping also was slow -- when I arrived back in my room at 4:00 p.m. after a long day my room still hadn't been cleaned. The Ugly. The power went out in the hotel at about 5:30 p.m. one afternoon and it didn't come on until 7:30 a.m. the next morning. Then it went off again at 11:30 a.m. Not once were the guests told what the problem was or when we could expect it to resolve. One by one we had to go to the front desk to get any information. Then, the front desk staff (more to follow) simply shrugged their shoulders. We weren't given any help, like flashlights or any other things that would help us get through a cold, dark night. We were left to fend on our own. We weren't given any advice on how to handle the situation, nor were we offered the opportunity to stay at another hotel for the night. The front desk staff -- except for Mitch, who was great, and a few of the young men also were nice -- was horrible. Not once did I receive an apology for the situation! They weren't helpful under any circumstances, whether the power was out or not. After the second outage I decided to get out of there to another hotel. Up to that point I hadn't complained to anyone, but I had had it. I went to the front desk and nicely said that enough was enough. I spoke to a young woman and a man who appeared to be the manager on duty. I told them that I was checking out, and that I expected them to refund my money and pay for the cost of another hotel. The woman looked at me with something short of disdain. The man was worse. He said that while they would refund a portion of my prepayment, under no circumstances would they pay for another hotel. I calmly said that this was unacceptable under the circumstances. He was adamant and rude. Again, neither one offered an apology for the fact that I (and the other guests) had been more than inconvenienced. Would I stay here again? Perhaps, given it's proximity to the University. Otherwise there are better hotels (with nicer staff) in Boulder.

« Rough start, but ended uneventful. »

Started out rough, but ended well. We arrived late from our flight in and when checking in we were told that our Twin room was ready, however I ordered and prepaid for a King so this was not acceptable. After some discussion, we were placed in a King suite, very acceptable. The next day while out I received 2 phone calls from the hotel stating that we needed to leave our room for maintenance (the shower needed caulking). I said I did not want to leave but was willing to have maintenance come in the next day while we were out and we would not need the shower until the following morning (24hrs to set the caulk), they agreed this was acceptable. We got back to the hotel that evening around 11 pm to find ourselves locked out of our room. When I approached the desk, they told me we needed to leave our room, or we could shower in the next room as the shower maintenance was already performed and the shower could not be used. I was livid, we were out hiking all day, tired and dirty and despite our earlier conversation, they decided to lock us out of our room anyway. To end this story, we took our keys to our room, we did not leave our room nor did we shower in the adjoining room (we did shower in our room). No other issues were encountered the remainder of our stay. Terrible customer service from this point however the remainder of our stay was uneventful. This hotel is largely used for University, so expect large groups of Students in and out depending on what is going on at the school.

    « Awful staff »

Had an awful experience with one of the front desk staff, I believe his name was Alex. He was very rude - didn't even acknowledge me when I walked up to the front desk because he was on his cell phone and seemed very annoyed when I asked for advice about things to do in the area. I also noticed him being rude to other staff members and my initial experience with him left an awful first impression on my stay. My experience would have been much better if I had been treated professionally by Alex. The hotel itself was expensive and not all that nice. Definitely wouldn't stay here again because if there is one thing that makes traveling unpleasant it is a rude staff.

« Great staying at Boulder »

It is a very comfortable and quiet hotel. Clean, nice food for breakfast, personel were very kind. I recommend Best Western Inn Boulder. There is a market place next to the hotel and University of Colorado is in the nearby. Bicycles are available at the hotel. Swimming pool and gym are very good.

    5
« Best Western is the bomb! »

Our stay was great..Even though we only stayed for one night, I would come back here and definately recommend this hotel to family and friends..Even though they were remodeling the inn, it was great...I cant say enough of the GREAT staff that they have .

    « Construction zone beware »

Booked a room here to visit my son at CU. Pricing is on high end in Boulder. They don't disclose that there is significant construction going on near the front. If you are staying at the back it won't matter but it is a pain to get into the breakfast area or pool/fitness and it is dirty and noisy up front.

  • 3
    « Meh! »

We stayed here on our visit to Boulder. The location is good if you are doing things around campus and just a short drive to downtown and Pearl Street. The hotel is a bit tired and needs updating. There was some construction on the meeting rooms and breakfast area so maybe the update is coming as well. I can't say it was bad but I can't say it was great either. If I was to visit again, I would not stay here.

« Loud AC , no help from staff »

We arrived late I was told no king room was available. Checkin wasn't a warm welcoming at all . I had to fill out a form , not like most hotels where you check your boxes ,sign ur name electronically .Only one elevator at the opposite end of building . No trash cans inside or out. AC was very loud, called front desk , the man said I will call maintenance tomorrow , I said that won't do me any good tonight, the noise is so loud it's hard to sleep. He never offered a solution never suggested anything for the present. Ugly view of construction going on outside. With workers very early in the morning . it's hard to get to, like a maze. Right beside the interstate. Your handed breakfast cards at checkin lady takes them before you can look, with no Goodmorning or directing you to their breakfast bar. Which was continental , fresh cut berries ,stale cinnamon rolls, fresh hot bacon , out of the microwave frozen burritos which was pretty good. I travel a lot , stay in a lot of hotels and I can tell you these pics on website are deceiving , look at mine and you will see, this is basically an old building with a bandaid , AC there is one overhead vent which shoots towards bedroom. No vents in hallway bathroom and the lighting is very dim . Ceilings are low, and show signs of leaks. Rusty door hinges painted over , old doors. Small frig. No microwave, I have to say the it was clean and bed was halfway comfortable. I looked at the pool looked like it might have had a coat of paint on bottom, the landscape is pretty. I guess what makes me want to give this hotel 3 stars is the deceiving pics, how can you have plus added on? You have a run down building (old plumbing old AC and heat ,duct work ,old roof)that should have been torn down but instead they put coverings over the old ,charge way too much ,, have bad customer service, they could have offered to move me to another room, and breakfast servers could have said something besides grabbing card to eat. $157 total that's way too expensive for this hotel . Would I stay here again , NO

« College kids Run the show and it Showed »

This was a low on our road trip. We arrived in an unexpected spring snow storm. The room was not sound proof, we had a lot of noise from the hall filter in. They were going to use special paint to resolve it, so it may be resolved now. A nice touch in room was complimentary bottled water and disposable slippers. We did not have full cable. When we checked in with the front desk we were told they were shoveling the satellite dish. I'm not sure if that was true, but that evening we still had basic cable. We were eager for the weather channel to see the forecast ahead. We had several difficult exchanges with one person at the front desk-young and unprofessional, a few too many drinks (did we mention college aged staff?). The details can be left to imagination, but in the end the management, which was new, handled things really well. Ignacio was great. He took down the details and explained we were not the first to have an issue with the new hire. He asked for details so that he could better train him. Ignacio represented the hotel well. You should know they are not set up to allow you to take breakfast to your room and the location is a bit awkward to find. Once you do you'll get the hang of it and find it is not too inconvenient to the pearl district-short drive. Other shopping and grocery like whole foods are nearby as well as the university. I think the management is very good but they have their hands full. I have nothing against them, but we had a college kid experience and not a typical best western professional at the desk. The noise is an issue, the room is average-needing one more layer of paint. In sum, it is an average place to stay but I believe the management was going to shape it up. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a small sitting area to relax.

« Stayed for the night on our way to Estes Park »

    « Not really happy »

We booked this hotel based on reviews and our room was not in good shape. Our toilet was just a few inches from the wall, which made using it extremely odd. My husband is a contractor and he said it was out of code. The bathroom had missing grout, the air conditioner was leaking everywhere, the screen door feel off, the fridge was luke warm and there was a drawing of the male anatomy on the wall. We did let the staff know and they did give us a discount, but we were disappointed in our experience. This hotel is under construction. We usually aren't negative people, so I will give you the plus side as well. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The breakfast was good and the location was great.

    4
« Highly accommodating staff, comfortable bed! »

We booked here very last minute in a scramble to extend our trip by one night, so we went very early (10 am), and they checked us in right away. They were highly accommodating. Though I didn't get to take advantage of the pool, the room itself was very pristine, with a nice bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Very ideally situated near UC Boulder.

« Best Western CU Boulder »

AMAZING STAFF!!! Good location near CU Boulder Campus. Clean & comfortable Wasn't so happy to discover it was under construction when I arrived but the friendly staff made up for it. They even remembered I only needed the roll-away for one night but called to confirm before removing it. The free breakfast meant a walk around the construction site but was more than I expected including specialty coffees and the breakfast room VERY nice and very clean!

    « Enjoyable back-to-school stay »

So convenient to walk to UC Boulder,. Close to 29th Street Mall for back-to-school shopping as well as Pearl Street Mall for sight-seeing, shopping and good choice of restaurants. Hotel is undergoing renovations, but did not effect us during our stay. Was very impressed with the included breakfast. Many items to choose from including make your own waffles, hot eggs, fresh fruits, cereals, bagels, yogurt etc. Even able to enjoy a latte or cappuccino. Will definitely return to this hotel.

« Nice place, friendly Staff!! »

I'm visiting in from Chicago... Needed a place to stay and this Best Western was a really good location. Not too far from all of the hikes that I'm going to do and places that I want to visit. Really cute hotel. Although, it is going through a bit of construction; a few dusty, dripping, nails showing... but this hasn't stopped this place from chugging right along! Garrett at the front desk was very accomodating and professional. I was tired and a bit out of it when we checked in, and he made things easier. The complimentary breakfast was deelish..and Miss Margaret G, cleared plates, refreshed coffee, eggs and other breakfast goodies-She made me feel comfy like I was at my Aunties for a bite. Everyone at the BWP-Boulder, thanks so much keep ip the good work. I'll definitely return.

I'd seen that this hotel had great reviews and agree! The renovations are nearly done, and they've been done well. The breakfast was AMAZING with fresh berries, real eggs, good coffee and a good selection of choices. The pool and hot tub area were really nice, too. We'll stay there again!

« Check first: Construction, Dingy. Overpriced. »

We booked a room here in August at top dollar - crazy top dollar - attempting to stay in Boulder for one night on a college tour. Apparently seasonality and local events were driving rates out of control. Drove up to find a very tired motel surrounded by noisy construction at the edge of a highway exit. Parking area is right in front of rooms with outdoor seating...parked right in front of someone uncomfortably reading a paper on her patio (sorry!). Pool area was surrounded by chipped, painted, sun-bleached concrete block with tired, faded furniture. It was an appalling disappointment for the price. Highway motel setting at boutique luxury price (really, I got a luxury room in Denver right next to the Denver Art Museum for less). No notice on the booking site about construction ( I booked on a famous site I used to trust - not Tripdavisor or Best Western's). The manager of the hotel tried to persuade me to see a room - I declined. After I stood my ground he refunded my non-refundable fee, told me that this website (rhymes with media) doesn't allow them to post construction notices, but said the best western site does note this.

    « Overall good »

The construction made the place a bit unsightly, but the rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. It is an older hotel that has been remodeled and made much nicer than it probably was originally - more upscale, modern appearance of furnishings. The trim and hinges on the door frames are showing their age, you can see wear and tear on those structural items, but the furnishings are nice, new and clean. The free breakfast is really good! Good choice of items, well prepared, fruit, yogurt, waffles, cereal, latte, & more.

« Love this place and it is about to look even better! »

Stayed here several times before, visiting CU campus ? which is in walking distance ? or seeing old friends in town and always had a pleasant experience. Our rooms were always neat and clean, love the big screen TVs, the Keurig coffee machines and the breakfast is just great but the number one thing that makes us keep coming back is the staff! It's nice to be able to have a peace of mind while traveling. Never had any issues here and any questions or requests were always quickly answered or accommodated. Front desk and staff in general is knowledgeable and genuinely helpful! Always loved the look and feel of this hotel and now with the exterior face lift it is going to look even better. Can't wait to see the new look next time we're in town. An added perk summertime: a very relaxing pool area!

« Wonderfully Friendly Staff and good location »

I was at the University of Colorado for a conference stayed at the Boulder Inn for 2 nights. The staff - desk, housekeeping and breakfast - were all happy and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was huge. I had to work in the evening so having good internet and a comfortable desk was important. There are several restaurants close-by and the south end of the University is about 10 minutes walking. I took the airport bus and there was s top about 400 or 500 yards from the hotel (Baseline and Broadway).

    « Don't do it »

We came into Boulder late on Sunday July 30 (or was it the 31st). Checked out the prices at the Harvest House Millienium (which we generally stay at). Thought we would save a few bucks and stay at Best Western. Prices for two nights were in close proximity 36o.oo at Best Western. Would have been 400.oo at Harvest House on 28th. Which is a much better place. So much construction here, no T.V. service. Here with my 88 year old mother and 29 year old daughter. Would have left but did not want to move my mother again. She cannot get through the very small doorways to the bathroom with her walker. They are really small doorways. So we have to walk her very carefully through. The commode is for really short people. You feel like you are about to fall on floor. One would think they would give a bit of a discount (Ignacio the manager, curt and cold) when their TV's are not in working order or the place is under serious reconstruction. Don't do it Spend the extra 50 bucks and stay at the Millennium Harvest House. Better rooms, pool and much friendlier service. Seriously.

    « Don't stay here »

Under construction, rooms not ready at check in time( waited with 4 tired children under 5-20min), scattered our 5 rooms all over property, 2 queen beds instead of requested King, tv control doesn't work, and air conditioning bad in 3 out of five rooms, breakfast cold, and faucet handle in one bath came off. Poor customer service at check in desk. Nothing plus about this place.

    4
    « I'd stay again »

Nice hotel. We were a little uneasy at first because there is construction going on here and next door but it didnt effect our stay. Great breakfast with latte machine, nice pool furniture, Keurig in room. Ask for a mountain view room on second floor. Beautiful view from personal balcony!

    « Close to campus »

We chose this hotel because it is very close to the CU campus. We spent a very quick night there and found the beds comfy and the hotel generally quiet. There needs to be closer inspection of the cleaning though. There were beer bottle caps on the floor of our room when we checked in. Yuk. They allow pets at no charge which was a bonus for us and our well behaved pooch. Althoughh there was a lot of construction around the property, it was surprisingly clean outside. There is a free breakfast too but we left too early to take advantage of it. They should do a grab and go option like other chains.

« Nice hotel in a convenient location to CU Boulder »

Although undergoing renovations to the conference space the hotel was perfect. The rooms are new and clean, the staff was awesome: the reception staff and the great lady running the breakfast room. The breakfast had enough extras to make it above average (actual croissants and regular as well as Greek yogurt!) and the room is nice.

    2
    « Disappointment »

When booking directly with the hotel they failed to mention that construction was going on next door. The sound was annoying. The Internet was so slow I reverted back to my 3G option. The shower design in our room was poor. The greeting staff when we arrived were marginal. Pros: The bed was comfortable and the breakfast offered a little more variety than many others. Wish we had booked earlier with the Hyatt Place.

    « Exceeded expectations! »

I spent 3 nights over July 4th weekend. When I saw the outside of the place I was a little disappointed as it is only 2 stories and there was some construction next door. However, my disappointment quickly turned to "don't judge a hotel by the outside" experience. The room had a very comfortable king size bed with a super quiet refrigerator. The bathroom (and entire hotel) was immaculate and spacious with comfortable towels and good water pressure. The staff was exceedingly pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was good with something for all tastes. The room did have a coffee maker as well. By the way, small goodie bag was waiting in my room with chap stick, a snack bar, and a small gatorade. It was perfect after a long day of traveling. The courtesy rental bikes (and helmets) were wonderful. I did not use the pool but other guests seemed to enjoy it. It looked very clean. Great location for a visit to UC-Boulder. By the way, housekeeping, front desk and breakfast staff were all outstanding!

A little run down. Pool was in poor condition and not clean. They need to add restrooms to pool area. Fitness center location is not convenient or not available. Air conditioning in room did not work well.

« My favorite hotel, bar none »

I'm a regulator visitor to this hotel, and I love it. The staff are well-trained, friendly and helpful. On this trip, I really appreciated the way Jon offered to move me to my favorite room after the first night, and took care of moving my stuff while I was out during the day. The decor is lovely. I love the work by local artists that adorns the rooms and public areas, particularly Ryan Schwede's fabulous photographs. A nice touch: fresh orchids in the hallways. A nice feature (also available at other Boulder hotels) is that a local real estate company offers free bikes to borrow at the hotel. They deserve a plug, I guess: Pedal to Properties.

    « 7.20.2016 »

I understand that it is going through a construction and I do not mind that, but everything else does not need to fall apart. No bath towels were provided and the AC leaked all night. Need to get some QA

    2
« Convenient, but I'd not repeat if there were other options! »

Very good, helpful staff; good breakfast spread. Lots of construction in the property and next to it; very dusty. Always Stale & Musty smell from carpets, even though it was dry summer. Convenient, but hard to say I would repeat.

    « Good quality hotel »

I stayed as part of a small tour group. The hotel staff were well prepared for our arrival so checkin was simple. My room was great. Nice pool and spa and the hotel is conveniently located to major roads. To top it off the hotel serves an excellent breakfast and is well served by restaurants within walking distance.

    2
    « Overpriced »

This hotel is what you expect with brand name Best Western, all is budget except the price. Location is convenient to campus but that is the only positive on the location. Rooms have recently been remodeled, exterior screams for a remodel as well. I booked based on prior reviews and was disappointed. If you really need to stay near campus I'm not sure where to stay. When I return I will stay in Denver, it's only a 35 minute drive. I will attempt to post the view of my $259 "quiet" room. Additionally construction everywhere meaning at and next to this place.

    5
    « Good Stay »

This was an older Hotel but well maintained, staff was courteous and very helpful when called upon, decent breakfast, and clean rooms, would stay here again without question. It is also within walking distance of Colorado University.

    2
    « mainly a construction site »

The hotel was difficult to find--in part because of ongoing construction both at the hotel and adjacent properties. Airport Limos could not make the turns because of the construction--but no convenient place to park to check in without blocking entrance. Check in was a problem because the computers were down. Assigned to a room adjacent to the pool only to walk in on someone else assigned to the room (in bed). New room on second floor overlooking construction area. Motel seems dated . Breakfast room under construction so no rest room facilities available there or in the lobby. Room did seem clean. Computers down at checkout two days later. Still waiting for a bill--although credit card promptly charged. Location was convenient. Did not try to use internet because of computers being down

« Diamond in the Rough »

The hotel and surrounding buildings are undergoing a bit of a face-lift/construction, but don't let that deter you. The staff is accommodating, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good (and free), free use of bikes, close to the bike/running paths, accessible, free internet, quiet, and good price. Our second stay and we weren't disappointed either time.

    2
    « Not Good... »

I had just left a Denver 5 star hotel and was sickened by my experience at this hotel which is barely 2 stars in my opinion. First and foremost, they do not offer any cribs. They made us call an outside company for a baby crib. Shocking! And when pressed, I was told it was due to liability? What a cop out. Every hotel offers a crib! Next, on to the tiny room that smells of damp feet. Poor amenities and the whole property is under heavy construction. Regrettably I was informed that the GM is extremely cheap and does not even provide his staff with working computers. Not surprising after my stay. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Much better establishments for the decerning; and much cheaper for the budget conscious.

    « Moldy, smelly & broken »

Completely shocked by the good reviews. Visiting CU so wanted to be close to campus. Room is dark, cramped & worn. Air conditioning barely worked, leaving us hot and uncomfortable the entire time. It was 78* the first night (sold out hotel made it impossible to switch rooms). The staff was friendly & attempted to make us comfortable. Switched our room the next night to a building where the musty/mildewy smell in the hallway was awful and the smell in the room even worse. Air conditioning in that room a little better, but not much. Boulder is completely sold out right now or we'd be checking out. Stay elsewhere.

    3
« For the price, look elsewhere »

The room was crowded and dark, but clean. They are doing construction so that likely impacted our impression of the hotel in general. The free breakfast had a nice selection. Close enough to Pearl Mall to make for an easy drive. If staying in the area again, I would look for a different hotel especially considering the price.

    4
    « Best pool oasis! »

I live about 25 minutes away, and work very close to this hotel. I needed a quick getaway for my daughter and I. I wanted an outdoor pool and looked all over the front range for ideas. It may seem silly to stay so close to home, but the pool area here was wonderful. It is walled in with cushioned couches, umbrellas and a nice water feature against one wall. The mountains show above the walled area, and it could have been anywhere USA. The pool was great for my 8 year old and I could relax in the shade. Our hotel room had a patio door that opened directly to the pool area, which for having a kiddo was perfect!

    5
« Touring University of Colorado »

For the price this hotel was in a great location to visit UC. It's only a 12 minute walk to get to campus. The rooms were clean and spacious. Service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast in the hotel was surprising good and had a nice selection.

    4
    « Comfy and clean »

It was very comfy and clean and the front desk staff was very helpful in getting me to the theater downtown! The beds were comfortable and very clean I was very impressed and will stay there agin next time I'm in Boulder! The breakfast is very good in the morning also

    4
    « Convince to Sites »

We stayed for a quick night on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park. The hotels is close to shops, restaurants, and the route to the mountains. There was some construction and remodeling taking place but overall not too bad. They also had free breakfast always helps when traveling.

    5
« Nice, large, clean rooms anf great service »

We stayed in The BW+ in Boulder for four nights and we were impressed by the room size, cleanliness, the pool and the hot tub. But most importantly we loved the service from the staff. Particularly, Jon, Seamus and Dylan at the front desk were exceedingly friendly and helpful, even suggesting breweries to make sure we didn't miss. They made a good hotel a great hotel. Thanks guys.

    5
    « Outstanding service »

The entire front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay. I have never experienced such a friendly staff. Great with dining suggestions and directions and recommendations for activities. They have bikes for guests to use (free) complete with locks and helmets. The hotel is close to bike paths. The bikes were super comfortable and easy to ride. Free internet, nice pool area, great breakfast. The outside appearance of the hotel is not the greatest, but it was clean and very comforable. CSU is 5 minutes away and Pearl street an easy 15 minute bike ride.

    4
« Value for the money »

This is not th best facility in Boulder but it provides the value for the money. I like the free breakfast offered by Best Western Inn. The only issue it's closer to a main road and navigation might give misleading instruction to get into their driveway.

    1
    « HORRIBLE! »

First of all, do NOT rely on the pictures on their website. The hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures. It is mostly under construction. I was there for about 13 hours on a quick work trip. I had to get 3 sets of keys to enter my room as they were never activated correctly. Once I got to my room, the carpet was disgusting and sticky. I wore socks the entire time. The walls/doors are very thin and it was very noisy. The turn lock on my door worked half way so I did not feel safe at all. The kicker: I have a reservation with them again for another work trip and I have been working with SW (as I booked through them) and they cannot get a Manager to call back. We've tried reaching them 4 times now and nothing! All around not a great experience and they are very unprofessional! I do NOT recommend staying here!

    « Amazing Best Western!!! »

When one thinks of a Best Western, no one would think of DirecTV with DVR in each room. Extremely soft and inviting bed. Slippers in the room. I felt I like I was staying at a Las Vegas Hotel. Once the final touches are done on the re-model, they sure will sell out everyday.

    5
« well run, equiiped and managed »

Very well kept, clean and comfortable. Not a fancy exterior or location but all the little details, glass not plastic water glasses, mugs for coffee, great pillows were right. Very efficient and courteous staff, clean and efficient. Close to major rooads, but noise not a problem.

    4
    « Pricey but nice »

Yea, a bit hard to get to, no biggie. Our room had a view of an apartment building being built. Rats. 2 queen room was fairly small but clean & quiet. Beds were fine. TV a bit confusing to run, no weather channel :( WiFi worked great. A/C kept the room 68° in 90+ heat just fine. Didn't go in the pool but looked clean and was in use. Did use the hot tub. Plenty warm, doesn't bubble a lot but acceptable. Breakfast in adjoining building under construction wasn't the best. The hockey puck egg patty wasn't good. Bacon was. Fruit & the usual other breakfast goodies. $220 for a generic room was shocking but seemed to be the norm in Boulder. Picked BW as it looked nice from the pictures and was pet friendly. Could have spent lots more, this was just fine.

    5
« Don't be fooled by the construction - great motel »

We drove in on 36 and saw the motel but had a hard time negotiating the road construction and motel construction to get parked. We found a nice lobby with helpful people at check-in. The room and beds were comfy, and there was a balcony which might be enjoyable when the construction right outside is completed. The sink is separate, just outside the bathroom. The breakfast was EXCELLENT! Fresh fruit, hot food, a big variety. Almost anything you'd like to have for breakfast. And good coffee!

    2
« Hot and Noisy but great staff »

Stayed for one night - the outdoor pool was dirty and the pumps/filtration were not working . The hot tub water was too low for the water to circulate and filter. Our room wouldn't cool below 75 degrees and we ran the AC all night. No refrigerator in room was inconvenient. Construction next door starts early and is loud. On the positive, the staff was pleasant and helpful. The bathroom was large and modern and the little patio off the room was pleasant for sitting. Coffee pot was new and stocked with variety of k cups.

    4
« Great location in Boulder »

Rooms were nice, breakfast buffet was great. Large hot tub and heated pool. Staff very friendly and accomodating. I'd stay here again. I was able to walk almost anywhere in Boulder. There are restaurants nearby and the University, and bikes to rent everywhere.

    5
« Great weekend and Location »

We were worried since we hadn't stayed at a Best Western before but it was beautiful weekend at a great hotel. I don't know if all Best Westerns are this nice but from check in to check out everyone was so nice and made us very happy we choose to stay here.

    5
    « graduation/vacation trip »

our main purpose for picking this hotel was because it is walking distance to the university. Our sons graduation was the main reason for our trip. Its very easy to get to the university. Desk person was very helpful on directions. Room was very clean. The continental breakfast was wonderful. Lots of hot choices and different every day. The maid service starts cleaning rooms very early. They were in the hallway around 8:30 every morning. So if you are a late sleeper use your Do Not Disturb sign on door. I needed a hairdryer one night and they had it at our room in under 30 minutes. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Customer service above and beyond »

There was outside construction on the conference building that was unplanned. Our 4-day class was interrupted by workers and noise. The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, giving us alternative meeting spaces that made it all work out. The exterior of the hotel is not very pretty, but the interior is beautiful, I especially loved the inspirational posters hanging in the hallways.

    3
« Nice but has problems »

There certainly are advantages to this hotel and their staff was pretty good. Currently there is construction right next to the hotel so noise begins early and lets up around 5pm. But beyond that I have three complaints: 1) when the air conditioning was off the room had a terrible smell; 2) while two bottles of water were left on the night table in my room each day, I somehow was charged $6.00 for the three bottles I drank. Charged for water in the hotel room? If I had known I would have drank from the facet.; 3) at breakfast the eggs all had milk and/or butter in them which I cannot eat, so I asked if for the following mornings they could make two hard boiled eggs for me. They said no.

    « great stay »

nice staff, good pool, jacuzzi and great breakfast that changes it's hot food selection :) this place has been remodeled WELL--no half done remodel. Probably the Best Best Western Plus I've stayed at. Loved the first floor with the patio doors for our pooches. $50 pet deposit only, no fee for our two traveling labs. Great location and close to downtown only suggestion would be to have pool towels at the pool and not the front desk.

    5
    « very friendly staff »

This was a wonderful stay. The staff were both helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. I recommend this hotel to others. I also liked being able to walk to Whole foods for lunch and other restaurants for dinner for the location.

    4
« Good location! Very nice staff! »

Stayed at this hotel for 10 days for a conference in the hotel. The staff was very nice and the breakfast each morning was very good. I had some problems with my first room. It was very loud on the first floor and my toilet didn't work. On the 4th day they were able to switch me to a 2nd floor room that was much better. Disappointed that Best Western did not credit me the rewards points. Besides that would stay again.

    5
« Best breakfast ever!!!! Close to CU Boulder »

Stayed in a room facing the pool with 2 queen beds. Very comfortable bed and linens. Coffee maker and fridge in the room. Towels were soft and very absorbent. The bathroom set up was nice: sink across from closet. Shower and toilet in a separate room with door. Plenty of hangers and 2 suitcase floor racks. Complimentary breakfast was FABULOUS---as good as home cooked. There was fresh cut fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, all kinds of toasting items, muffins, oatmeal, biscuits/gravy, coffee, juices, and a special coffee maker to get "custom" coffee. The breakfast workers were very friendly and helpful. You are given a breakfast "ticket" at check-in; just give it to the ladies when you come in for breakfast. The room is nicely laid out - plenty of space, lots of tables, TV with news on at a reasonable level of sound.

Very niece hotel in walking distance of The University of Boulder Colorado and less than two miles from the unique downtown Boulder area. A must visit Hotel and City. I will return with my wife to visit Boulder again.

« Is there an award for the "best" Best Western? »

Because f there is, I want to nominate the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn. All the little touches...a real rose in our room, great pool area with moutain views, fresh flowers in the hall, the best breakfasts I have ever had in a chain hotel, and a friendly, competent staff make this hotel better than any Best Western we have ever stayed in (and right now I am in one in Arizona).

    5
« Great stay in Boulder »

great pool, view of foothills, convenient location and great value. We have stayed hear several visits to Boulder and the nice pool and clean and neat rooms make this a great value. We will be staying hear each time we are in Boulder.

« Great Value and Great Location! »

After comparing all the hotels in the area, this Best Western had the best value, location and features for the money. It did not disappoint. From the front desk to the cleaning staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. I have no complaints and would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

    5
    « Great Breakfast »

Very good experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfast buffet. The rooms were very clean. Our stay was three nights. There was construction going on right outside our room on a new building next door and it was noisy during business hours but we were usually not in the room at these times.

    5
    « Staff a real Plus »

The front desk staff, Stephanie and Alex were very helpful and professional. I had difficulty sending a timely and very important FAX. They were persistent and resourceful until we got it done. Then I could relax and enjoy my stay. The breakfast was good. Hot Waffles and scrambled eggs. The Latte machine was also good. I joined their Summit Club, which affords CU parents perks. I will stay at this property again. Karol W.

« Perfect place in Boulder »

This place was better than I ever expected. My boyfriend and I last minute switched from Breckinridge trip to Boulder trip and they were able to match a rate I saw online. View from the mountains from most room, a beautiful pool area and a great indoor jacuzzi! Everyone is so friendly, the two staffed at the front desk both during the day and at night were so helpful with things to do around the town; and one of the guys even gave us suggestions for when we got to Denver! The breakfast isn't amazing but the service and variety make up for it! Thanks for being awesome Best Western!

    « Great hotel »

Close to campus short walk to Boulder Creek , staff courteous and rooms with view of pool are great. Recommend for families , free breakfast was a great bargain. Love the new indoor /outdoor fireplaces in the lobby and breakfast room.

    5
« It is hard to find »

The rooms are large and mine had a balcony. They have an outdoor pool and a hot tub. The hot tub requires going outside to access. The breakfast included eggs benedict and the hollandaise sauce was the expensive looking deep yellow kind. They have free bicycles to lend out. They were replacing carpet in the hallways showing that they want to keep it up,

« On the Main Drag but tricky to get to »

Hotel is located on a service road along the main road into Boulder. It is close to CU but the write up on the Best Western website makes it seem as though it is next to the main attractions (29St Mall and Pearl Street)...it is not. Both are lengthy walks and for most people probably a short drive is the way to go. Hotel staff are extremely professional in attitude and attire. Rooms are well appointed with better than average sized bathrooms and each room has its own balcony. A solid choice when visiting Boulder.

    « rec'd email »

Staff was very professional and helpful-they were young collage students but knew their job AND showed they liked it. Breakfast was great-well set up and tasty. Hotel area was close to college so it was busy but still able to get in and out of area fast. I work in the hotel business and I would be very happy to stay here again.

    5
    « Outstanding-look no further!! »

Everything was excellent! The hotel was very clean and newly remodeled! Very close to everything that Boulder has to offer! The staff was very helpful! They got out maps and was showing us the best attractions to see while we were staying in Boulder!

« Good breakfast room: avoid room 201 »

The reception area is large and comfortable, and the check in process was professional. The room we had was ok, but it was above reception and the check in process could be heard easily, particularly the front desk staff. Fortunately, nighttime was quiet. The room was also next to the stairs, which meant all the guests on the same landing walked by your door. The beds were good but the lighting in the room was poor; if you wanted to read in bed, there was just one light between the two beds. The basin area was cramped. Breakfast was above average, as was the the room in which it was served, and was available until 10am. Fresh fruit cocktail was welcome. Walking into town is not really possible, it is over two miles, along busy, noisy multi lane roads

    « Lovely »

This is a large, lovely, affordable hotel that welcomes pets. The common rooms are light and airy and the hotel rooms are large and well-appointed. Every staff member we encountered was smiling and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

    « Travel Ball Trip »

Stayed here as we had a tournament in Boulder. Location was close to lots of food and ball fields. Hotel exterior looks a little worn but the inside is updated and nice. Great staff. Breakfast was decent, options for everyone. It is a little pricey only because it's in Boulder. Beds were soft, pillows overly soft thus unconformable for me. Pool was not filled which we did not know about. AC was being fixed which we did not know about until we were in our room. They had fans for use. We will stay there again.

    « Very basic hotel »

Stayed for leisure for one night. Hotel is dated and very basic. Room could have been cleaner and bathroom sink did not drain properly. Room service came at 8:00am which seems quite early. Breakfast was very basic and coffee diluted. Not a horrible experience but would look for alternative if I returned.

    5
« Great for college visit »

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff was very helpful and knew the area well. The location was ideal for our purpose, which was to see CU Boulder and experience the area. Walk to CU Boulder campus!

    « Family vacation »

Was here with my family for a weekend . Unfortunately they didn't have the cribs for babies. But they offer us a number of a company that rents them. The walls in rooms are thin, so you can hear clearly what you're neighbors are talking about. Breakfast was nice, they offered mixed fresh berries, that's rare in the hotels in USA. Not very near to downtown. But you can go there by the foot in 50 min. and have a good hike because the city is near mountains so in the street you go up or downhill always.

    5
    « Graduation Trip »

We stayed at this hotel in December 2016 to attend a graduation ceremony. It was perfectly located, the rooms are fabulous, and the staff more than helpful. The breakfast service was plentiful. I will definitely stay at this hotel when we return for visits to this beautiful city.

    3
    « Not great »

Not a great experience since the heat at night made it difficult and sometimes impossible to sleep for all 4 nights that I was there. The staff was helpful to the extent possible, but I still was very uncomfortable.

    5
« Stay at Best Western Plus »

We stay here in Apr. while we attend a conference. We had a king size bed and the room was large and comfortable. When the weather is warmer, you can enjoy the balcony or patio that each room has. The room was clean and comfortable. Having a quiet room is important to us, so we always ask for a quiet room on the 2nd floor (there are only two floors in the hotel). There was a coffee maker and refrigerator and sink, in addition to the bathroom sink, in the room. A very comfortable stay! Oh, and breakfast is included.

    « A College Tour »

Great Location the hotels is very close to CUBoulder and has a walking path to the school and bikes to use. Friendly helpful staff throughout the hotel available to help if needed. Has been updated and a nice casual atmosphere. Breakfast was awesome and had lots of options especially Gluten Free made to order if necessary. Cost is high for area but walking distance from CU Boulder may be important and worth it.

« visit with my CU student »

« Quiet Motel Offers EXCELLENT friendly service »

All the young gentlemen and lady running front reception were super friendly and efficient. Room was small yet well appointed. Halls and rooms were quiet and conducive to rest. Various breakfast options with good coffee. Keurig in room. Only complaint is no hot tub but Boulder affords lots of walking and cycling. I would stay here again.

« Great staff, great location, free bikes! »

Spent only one night in this hotel but was pleasantly surprised. Front desk staff was very accomodating, location was terrific, a few blocks from the UC campus. Beds were comfortable, breakfast buffet had fresh berries, eggs and bacon. They have cruiser bikes for use and our family of 4 spent the day biking through the campus and along the boulder creek path (very bike friendly city).

    « Comfortable Beds/Room and Nice Breakfast »

I flew from Boston to Denver and had seen a chiropractor twice before I left for a sore neck that was out of alignment. After sleeping one night in the comfortable bed and using the fabulous pillows my neck was back to normal and I felt great! Thank you for providing such comfort during my stay! I wish I could buy those pillows. Breakfast was nice and filling. Clean dining room and plenty to choose from.

« Very nice place to stay »

This hotel is a good place to stay for vacation or business. The room we stayed in was comfortable and Jon at the front desk put us on the mountain side of the hotel so we could sit on our balcony and see the view. Very thoughtful of him to do that!

    « Old... »

The pictures on the website definitely are not what you actually see when you come here!!! I won't stay again... just OK on cleanliness. I definitely don't consider this 4 stars at all. There was hair on the comforter and the furniture was a bit old and beat up looking. Vanity area is very small.. shower worked well and was clean. The so called mountain view is a joke! Breakfast was ok a little cold but I was also late going!! Bed was comfortable. Nice size TV and a keurig coffeemaker with organic coffee was nice.. small fridge also worked well. The staff is very friendly. It just definitely an older property and the view isn't great.

Great location to suite our needs in Boulder, Co. Very close to where our family lives. Easy access to main roads for getting around Boulder. With in walking distance to several eating places. Appears to be located in a safe neighborhood to walk the dog at night.

    « Enjoyed the view »

I was great to wake up to the view of mountains out the window. The room was very clean and spacious. Appreciated the mini-fridge. Very accommodating staff. The breakfast was OK, however due to dietary restrictions, I had to bring some of my own food, like bread. Appreciated the ability to make toast on my own. The location was close to good grocery stores and not far from downtown. I would come here again.

We went for a business trip and had all of our needs met. Also, they had great facilities. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was amazing. The only thing that I might change would be the internet and I would encourage them to clean their sauna a bit more often.

« Great hotel in a great area »

We love Boulder and this is a marvelous place to stay in the area. It's a pleasant, well-kept comfortable hotel with nice, pro fessional staff. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone couple or family in the Boulder area.

« Great hotel for the budget »

This is a great hotel for mid-range budget. Stuff is cordial, room is large and very convenient. Breakfast was very good. Internet (WiFi) was fast and reliable. The hotel has conference facilities, which are convenient. Outside area is OK. There is construction across, which probably will end up soon. Location is close (walking) to restaurants and shopping center, as well as to the university.

« OK Budget Hotel Option »

Spent one night here and keeping in mind that Best Western is going to be a low-cost, basic hotel option, the hotel was OK. Room was clean and functional. TV didn't work, but was probably just the remote. Since I arrived in the evening and left the next morning, it was not a big deal for me and I let the front desk know when checking out. On the other hand, the (free) internet signal was excellent so I was able to stream video on my iPad in lieu of the TV. Breakfast was fine. Covered all the basics. Lighting in the sink area outside of the bathroom is very dim. Be aware that there is no restaurant or bar on site so plan accordingly. There are some options in walking distance but since I arrived by cab on a snowy night it was not practical to go out.

« Very good option for Boulder »

The Best Western Plus is a good option if you don't want or can't spend a fortune on a room that you mostly just want to sleep in. There are nicer hotels closer to downtown but they are also way more expensive. The room was fine, clean, the bed comfortable, and internet connection was ok. The best was certainly the breakfast with a lot of options that fit every taste. The place is very close to the CU campus and even the walk to downtown along the Boulder Creek trail gets you there quickly.

I stayed in a suite .It was very clean and beautiful. The staff were all so helpful. the free breakfast buffet was loaded with alot of great things. I really liked the lattee coffee machine. You can make it to your iindividual taste by pressing a few buttons. You could walk to the mall and alot of restauranst near by.Althought the Dark Horse is probably a college hangout. the food was extrelemy good.f

    « Poorly maintained hotel »

The noisy fan woke me up every 15 min or so. It was a cold winter night--mind you we stayed 3 nights, but figured out a way to reduce the turning on of the fan. Breakfast is corporate stuff and quite limited choices. You have to walk out of the hotel to get to the breakfast room--you need to walk on ice to get there. The sink smelled bad, there was no towel rack around the sink area, the lighting was poor. They ignored our complaint about the noisy fan. Another thing that bothered me was the hair left behind in the tub by the cleaner.

Hotel and staff were very good. Had some difficulties with hot water in the morning but the stay was very comfortable. All the amenities were nice and the reception area was good for small gatherings. Breakfast area was nice to start the day in.

« Good quality hotel, great breakfast »

Fantastic variety of good-quality continental breakfast items, from cereal to fresh hot eggs, sausage, etc. Room was good as well. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful and always seemed genuinely pleased to help. Would highly recommend and would stay here again. Only two comments on things to improve: I wish that housekeeping would clearly honor the "towels hung up - will use again" policy and leave towels hanging instead of replacing them each day (presumably since towels were newly folded each day). I also wish there was a separate recycling bin in the rooms or at least in the lobby - I would actually expect this in a city like Boulder.

    2
« Noisy place, corporate breakfast »

Old, noisy fans make sleeping difficult, water was dripping from the air conditioning unit. The lack of hot water in the morning is common, the musty smell coming from the sink was unpleasant. So were the hairs left behind from previous guest. The breakfast is mostly unhealthy, corporate stuff, there was nothing really tasty. Most pleas for help went unanswered. There are better places nearby.

« Comfortable and close to UC Boulder/Dept. of Commerce »

I just spent a week at the Best Western Plus in Boulder for meetings. The lobby was nice and cozy and had beautiful views of the Flatiron Mountains along with a gas fireplace to make the space inviting. Our group socialized there several nights during our visit. The continental breakfast was also good and had a lot of variety to suit many different needs. The property also had a small workout facility that included a single treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike for cardio along with a hand weights and a multi-station cable exercise system for the basics. Both the breakfast and workout rooms were in a separate building that also housed a conference space. There are many trails that you can access from the hotel and I enjoyed a wonderful 5 mile run on the Boulder Creek Trail that apparently runs ~5 miles in either direction from its access point along the frontage road that parallels the hotel. My first floor room was clean and while I don't normally sleep well on travel, the bed was comfy enough to ensure I had a terrific nights sleep. It also appeared that the bathroom had been updated recently and it too was clean and had decent bath products. We ate a several locations that were within walking distance (~1/2-3/4 mi.) including Dark Horse Tavern, Beaujeaus pizza, and caught rides to Fate Brewery (my favorite of all the places we went) and the Bohemian Biergarten in the Pearl Street Mall. If you're looking for something clean and cozy in Boulder that's close to some restaurants, a Whole Foods, a Starbucks, and the university, then this is the place for you!

« Excellent staff; great breakfast! »

The exterior of the hotel was not impressive, but the interior was very clean and well-kept. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The breakfast selection was very impressive when compared to other similar hotels -- perhaps the best I've ever seen. The heater/airconditioner in the room was a little noisy, but not excessive.

    « best western boulder »

This is a good value place to stay. The staff is especially attentive and helpful. One staff member went out of his way to provide a late night glass of milk and another helped make my room much quieter by turning off the bathroom fans in adjacent unoccupied rooms. The coffee is good, but overall breakfast leaves a bit to be desired, mainly because the eggs are clearly mass processed and of doubtful quality. More warm vegetarian options would be appreciated too. On my last morning the main course was vegetarian burritos and they were great.

« Good place near CU »

I have stayed here many times for business and leisure travel. it is near CU and easily accessible from the Boulder Turnpike. The staff is courteous and they have a good breakfast. The rooms are well furnished and the beds are comfortable. Some of the rooms have mountain views, others don't.

    2
    « Business »

Ventilation very poor, no hot water 1 st morning, hotel is dated and in need of infrastructure upgrades. Staff was friendly and helpful but the building needs repair. The location is difficult to find and really a challenge to find the check in area.

    « Best Value! »

We checked in to a beautiful hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We used the hotel bikes to tour all around the UC Boulder campus. We walked to the Circle K a block away where we bought sunglasses, water, drinks and snacks. My daughter forgot her toothbrush, and off course one was brought up to us immediately. Lots of choices for breakfast: waffles, fresh fruit, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, toast, coffee and juice bar. We will stay here again. If I could change one thing, it would be to have an extra squishy mattress like mine at home.

    « Good option »

Good location and good rooms Plenty of parking and friendly staff that changed our room to first floor on request. Our room was right in front of pool (off course was close due winter) but they have a nice hot tub (only annoying thing was the teenagers jumping in the hot tub !!) (Elevator was not working). For the price is a good option. Note: we actually stayed in January 2015 not February.

    « Excellent stay »

We were in Boulder for an overnight leisure stay. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The staff was accommodating and the hotel was very clean and lovely. We would definitely recommend this Best Western.

    4
« Fun and friendly hotel »

Great breakfast, super helpful staff! Only suggestion would be some attention paid to the hot tub . Not very "hot" and the room seemed a bit scary :) maybe it's better maintained when the pool area is open as well. But overall, a very fun and comfortable place to stay.

« Continues to be Excellent »

Have stayed at the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn each time I visit Boulder for the past 10 years or so. They continue to maintain this property quite well. In fact, they were doing some room renovations when I arrived for this trip, and I even stayed in a recently-renovated room. Rooms are very nice, and the complimentary breakfast is first-rate. Staff is extremely friendly. Definitely will continue to stay here when visiting Boulder.

« Great Room with Pets »

We stayed at the Best Western Boulder Inn for one night while in Boulder for a family event. The room was great for pets since it had both outside and inside entrance. Hotel staff was great and décor was newly remodeled.

« Wonderful Hotel Stay. Friendly, helpful staff »

Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel appears to be an older building but is well maintained and updated. The staff was professional and friendly. Our room was much larger than we expected and wonderfully furnished. Since we stayed in January, the outdoor pool was not open but our room had one wall of all glass overlooking the pool and mountains with glass doors out to the pool area. The mountain view was nice even in January but I'm sure pool access would be very nice in the warmer months. This hotel went above and beyond with little extras like toothpaste, shavers, shaving cream provided right in your room in case you need them. The breakfast was in another building but right next to the hotel so the outside walk was very short. Nice selection of breakfast items provided. There were at least 3 staff maintaining the breakfast area and cleaning tables so everything was constantly maintained. The only difficulty we experienced was finding the hotel. It is difficult to get to and the roads are a bit confusing for someone not familiar with the area. Not easy access from the highway like many hotels but certainly worth the search. Would unconditionally recommend this hotel.

Excellent services and price. Good location. The staff is wonderful and very attentions. Price is also good and internet contact perfect. We visited the University of Boulder and also the city and neighbor area. The five days in the hotel was very good. It was my second time in there. A coin laundry will be good.

    « Christmas 2015 »

This is an older property but well maintained and clean. Our king bed room was clean and spacious. The vanity area is separate from the shower and toilet, but the vanity is not well lit and only has room for one person. Breakfast buffet had good options and my only comment would to keep hot foods hotter. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again for the price.

    « Best Western Minus! »

Our family (3 people) stayed at Boulder's Best Western Plus for almost a week in late December 2015. It was a real mixed bag - not the worst hotel ever, but a lot of issues. On the Plus side: - Very comfortable beds. - A good hot shower with plenty of pressure. - Pretty good food at the breakfast buffet. - Decent fitness center. - As we checked out and complained about issues below, our nightly cost was reduced from $130 to $100. On the Minus side: - The hotel doesn't stock enough linens for all of the guests when full?? --- One night, we only got two sets of towels. Called to ask for more, were told they would deliver them to the room, that never happened. We started leaving notes for the housekeepers, requesting 3 sets every night. --- Another night, we got no hand towels. Called to complain, were provided with 3 more bath towels because they were out of hand towels. --- On our final night, the tally left for us was 3 wash cloths, 1 hand towel, 1 bath towel ... And 3 bath mats? Called again to complain, and the front desk guy brought us 3 small pool towels. He told us they would get us real towels when they were available - never happened. - The small out-building with 2 meeting rooms, the breakfast buffet, and the fitness center was being remodeled. It looks like it will be nice when completed, but the work was being done with total disregard for the current guests. --- They could have remodeled the breakfast room and meeting rooms at different times, leaving enough space for people to eat. Instead, they were all done at once, with plastic sheeting strung down the middle of the breakfast room, and all of the tables crammed to one side. People were crawling over each other to find a seat. --- They also could have told the construction workers to start their work each day after breakfast was finished. Instead, the people crammed into the room got to listen to sawing and hammering just on the other side of the plastic sheet as they ate. - Lackluster cleaning of the rooms. Examples: We found discarded Christmas gift wrap from the previous occupants tucked in a corner when we checked in. The same two coffee cups (one had a recognizable chip) were left in the room each day, not even rinsed out. - The hotel advertises microwaves for a $2/day fee. We requested one. On our first day, we were told they were all in use, but we would get one as soon as it freed up. Never happened. - Unpleasant odor in the hall outside our room - I thought it smelled like urine. - To top it all off, as we were preparing to leave, we were loading up a luggage cart outside the door to our room. A strange little man appeared in the hall and told us, in broken English, to just leave the door standing open after we left. I asked why, and he said that he worked for the hotel and would clean the room. I told him we would let one of the housekeepers who have keys take care of that. The front desk confirmed he was not an employee and promised to go looking for him. Yikes!

    « Comfortable 1 nighter »

I had a quickly arranged business trip the week before Christmas. I have always had good experiences at the Best Western Boulder Inn, so I requested it for a one-night stay in Boulder. I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful check-in even though I arrived past 11:00 pm. The clerk even pointed out that I would have a beautiful view of the Flat Irons the next morning out the window of my 2nd story room. He was right!

    « Great Travel base »

We stayed at this hotel twice during our recent visit from Australia to Boulder for thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The hotel for us was well located to down town boulder, and to nearby tourist destinations as well as american family. Our rooms had great view of the Flatirons and were nice and warm despite the snowing cold temperatures outside. The breakfast dinning room was always warm and the staff cheerful and the food replenished regularly and a variety of different hot food each day. The staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming every time we had a query or required assistance whether it be about the washing facilities, travel to the airport or directions for a restaurant. In particular our family appreciated the assistance of Rachel and Graham during our stay.

« Great hotel in a wonderful town »

We've stayed in this hotel several times over the last few trips to Colorado. We would recommend it highly for the well run hotel and the close proximity to all the fun spots in and around Boulder. Walking, shopping and eating on Pearl Street or hiking the Chautauquas are fun. Actually this hotel offers easy access to all parts of Boulder.

    4
    « Lovely »

This hotel is right off SH 93 and was tastefully decorated. It was lovely and everyone was very nice. The room was lovely and except for hair in the bathtub everything was in order. I would suggest you take your own water, as they charge $2 for each bottle and they did not replace it with more the second day

    5
    « Boulder and beyond »

A good value. And a good, quiet location if you want to both visit Boulder and explore the mountains beyond. Breakfasts were good, and the hotel management exceptionally helpful. A bit difficult to access, though.

    5
    « Comfortable, spacious rooms »

This exceeded my expectations, large, well appointed and clean rooms, very comfortable beds. Nice public areas, very helpful front desk staff, good breakfast (although some bacon would have been nice). My wife (who is French) found the toilet flush particularly efficient.

    « goregeous hotel, convenient »

great place, clean, wonderful breakfast options as well. Many Best Westerns, especially outside of Boston, are independent franchises and, well, not that nice, unpredictable,- this place breaks that perception of mine

    « Best Breakfast Buffet »

This hotel offers a great experience for the money. The rooms are very clean, up to date, and have great decor. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet that comes with every room is so good that I would come to the hotel just for breakfast if it were open to the public! I love this hotel and will be back again soon.

« Comfortable, Clean and Convienent »

Very convenient location near CU Boulder. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stephanie at the front desk armed us with several local maps to help us find the CU museums as well as local restaurants. Beautiful room, comfortable bed, and all well-maintained. Very quiet location. Breakfast was underwhelming - hard boiled eggs are a disconcerting sight in the morning. Breakfast items were quickly replenished and guests were assisted with the waffle machine. We will definitely return!

« Reasonable rates and a beautiful mountain view! »

This was my second stay at this Best Western. The hotel is located walking distance to the University and a quick drive to Pearl Street and the 26th Street shopping area. The hotel has a great updated lobby (sitting area including a fireplace) and very nice sitting area outside near the pool (with an awesome firepit). The rooms are comfortable (bedding has been updated which is a plus!) and have balconies. With both of my stays I have had a room with the balcony facing the Flat Irons. (I have enjoyed the balcony, while having a cup of coffee staring at the mountains). The rates I had also included breakfast, which was plentiful with good choices. The breakfast room is a bit tight when the hotel is busy but the attendants are very quick to clear and clean tables to make room for all guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Boulder! Don't be fooled by the exterior (looks like a building from the 60's) and odd shaped parking lot, you will be surprised once you enter the lobby. My only criticism is that although the bathrooms are kept very clean they need to be remodeled.

« If you are traveling with pets, DO NOT stay at this hotel!!!!! They do not bomb for fleas!!!! »

My dog and I stayed one night. My dog had never had a flea on her since I adopted her in March. As I was getting things ready leave, I found 2 fleas on my dog. I was so devastated. I went to the front desk after I had taken all my stuff out and asked how often they bomb for fleas. They told me they don't have fleas in Colorado so they don't bomb for them. They only bomb for other things. I told them I pulled 2 fleas off my dog that morning and told them what room I was in. My poor dog scratched and itched all the way back home to Kansas. After getting home, I immediately took a flea comb to her, getting 15 more fleas off of her. I then gave her a bath. To make sure I had not fleas at my place, I had to buy some spray and sprayed my car and my apartment. I will not stay here again even if I don't have my dog because fleas like to get on people's clothes and they also bite people as well.

    « Pleasantly Surprised! »

Wow, what a nice surprise when we checked in here. I guess we had lowered expectations since this is an older hotel. Very chic with a nice remodel job. Boulder is so pretty this time of year and the Best Western made it that much more enjoyable!

    « Nice Hotel »

We were pleased with our recent stay at this hotel. You can tell it is an older property, but they have done a good job keeping it updated. We had a great view of the mountains. We were there for 2 nights and it was quiet. A little hard to find, but GPS gets you there.

Wow. I was expecting "roach motel" and I got Frontgate poolside furniture, firepits, gorgeous amenities, awesome breakfast (not just bagels to toast...) and the staff was tremendously friendly. « Outstanding staff at a home-away-from home »

This Best Western is my favorite hotel. I have been coming here for some years, and it just keeps getting better. The staff -- whether at the front desk, breakfast room, maintenance or housekeeping -- are outstanding: friendly, helpful, and efficient. I also appreciate that staff are there over the long term; I've built up relationships with many of them. The hotel keeps improving its amenities, upgrading the lobby and the breakfast room over recent years. The breakfast is super: the breakfast room is spacious and comfortable, and the quality and choice is excellent. The coffee, in particular, is very good. I love the decor: rather than off-the-shelf, forgettable blaa, the rooms and hallways are decorated with the work of local painters and photographers. Beautiful work, well hung.

    « Adequate Accomodations »

When we needed to change hotels, the front desk was very helpful in holding a room (of course this may have been because of diamond level in the best western program). Staff was friendly, but this isn't a hotel geared to tourism...there was little information about sites, hiking, etc. The focus of this hotel is really for visitors to the University of Colorado. My one negative comment is that after checking out an additional charge appeared on my credit card. I was told it was for bottled water - and the bottles in the room did NOT have price labels.

    3
« Good for the price »

My husband and I went to Boulder to visit my brother who lives there. Everything is Boulder is much more expensive than I'm used to. This hotel had a reasonable price. When we pulled up I was a little worried. The outside is dated. However, the inside is very modern and beautiful. Location is on the outskirts of Boulder, but we took an Uber ride everywhere for around $10 a trip. I would have liked to stay closer to the downtown area but if you're ok driving about 10 minutes to get to most places the hotel is a great price compared to others.

    « OLD hotel - but clean »

This is a very old hotel. Looks like a 1970's construction at best. As with most old hotels, the bathroom is very small. The room in general was very dated. The room was very clean. The location is good if you are visiting CU. Free wi-fi. If you are not too fussy, this hotel will do.

Motel was ok. Room was a little small for a Best Western Plus. Had to get towels for pool at front desk which was a little inconvenient. Breakfast was ok but not great. Wasn't kept warm. Overall I thought it was a little expensive for what we received.

Stayed for four nights in Sept 2015 visiting town for my cousin's wedding. Hotel is well designed and spotlessly clean. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, and we will definitely bear this in mind for future visits. Too bad my dad made all the bookings - I missed out on Best Western loyalty points!!!

    « Impressive room »

We checked in on Saturday afternoon and the receptionist was so polite, efficient and helpful. The lobby and corridors of the hotel were very clean and tastefully decorated. We were so pleased when we entered our room as it was massive with a king size bed. There were thoughtful touches in the bathroom such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving foam and razors. We had previously stayed in The Best Western Plus in Durango and couldn't believe the difference between the two hotels. We drove the short distance into Pearl Street where there was free parking and lots of street entertainers and restaurants. We had to leave early for the airport the next morning so were unable to sample the breakfast.
