Best Western Northwest Lodge

Lovely room! Very clean. Pool was nice and warm. Hot tub was WAY TOO HOT. We suspect that the hot tub's temperature control was malfunctioning. Floor carpet near restroom in room was badly frayed. Staff was very helpful.would still stay there again!

The rooms were comfy and clean the staff was amazing!! The breakfast was awesome full hot bar and the girl working the breakfast was the best! Coming out constantly to refill. This will always be my place to stay Will be coming back for sure! Thank you!

We stopped over night traveling through Boise. Could not have been more pleased and surprised by this hotel. The lobby was beautiful and the staff were amazing and helpful. We traveled with our dog and BW makes sure to give you a first floor room by the doors (so helpful for our 14 yo dog). The rooms were really clean and the beds were so soft. Another thing I loved was how quiet their appliances are. Sometimes you get such noisy refrigerators or heaters, but not here- smooth running and quiet. I usually stay at Hilton bc I collect my Hilton points. However Hilton charges so much for pets we decided to try BW. I won't go back to Hilton now bc of this stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Northern Lodge. The front desk was helpful and courteous. Our room was clean and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles and many other choices. They had fresh orange juice and apple juice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Boise.

Location was great. It is away from from all of the busy city BSthat can be noisy and a pain in the ass. It is close enough to go anywhere in just a short time. There are plenty of food choices with 20 minutes. Overall it's a very good place to stay.

If it weren't for the staff this review would be alot worse. The Direct TV wasn't working and the staff had to come reset it. You can't see the hotel from the road. There was food left in the refrigerator and dried food in the microwave. The bed linens were extremely thin and made us feel cold, There was cleaning powder left on the floor in the bathroom Not the best experience.

This property did not meet our expectations. The room was very small, and one light, the clock, and the TV remote did not work. The included breakfast was very sub-par; the 'omelets',if that's what they were :??, and the potatoes with ham were cold. The orange juice was fermenting. The coffee and waffles were good.

Be aware! Motel is allowing some people staying their long term to congregate in hotel parking lot to party. Loud, drinking alcohol & smoking weed until 2:30 am. We had informed front desk twice of these activities. Front desk people were polite.

Front desk staff were very pleasant, but no room service. I typically stay at Best Western Hotels, but you need a car as there are no restaurants or shopping nearby. Witnessed drug deals day and evening for three days and domestic violence in the parking lot. Possibly because the hotel stands alone with not much in the area.

The beds in our room were terrible. They were way soft and bowed in the middle. Need new mattresses. The bedspread had a stain on it and the room definitely needed some updates. The breakfast was okay. I don't think I will be staying again.

Great location, but needs signage on the freeway so you know the exit is coming up. Breakfast is great for all the different options and the days the options are offered. I do recommend this place as it is quite, even though it is close to the freeway.

The hallways and stairs were dirty. The elevator floor and walls were dirty. The room appeared clean but something had been spilled on the desk and not cleaned up. Something had been spilled on the clock and not wiped. One of the pillowcases had dirt that would have come off if it had been washed which it must not have been. To add insult to injury, when we came down to breakfast, all of the maids were hanging out in the lobby instead of cleaning. Very disappointing overall…we have stayed there before but will not do so again.

Super friendly staff. Staff understanding that we were coming in late. Everything immaculate. Breakfast buffet menu rotates every day. Great pool and spa. Ample parking. Would definitely stay at Best Western NW Lodge again!

They have fixed all the little things that were not working last time I was here. The door locks have all been upgraded and that is really nice. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is acceptable although not as good as some Best Westerns. Also being 100 degrees outside the a/c did a great job keep the room cool.

We were very happy with the room, the comfort of the beds, the breakfast in the morning... all good things that we enjoy when staying at Best Western/Best Western Plus. But the real standout here is the staff. Each person who took care of us seemed to really want to take care of us, particularly Penny from the front desk. She was personable and helpful, but especially after we'd left when my wife thought she'd left a piece of jewelry behind that was of particular sentimental value. I called and spoke with Penny who not only contacted the head of housekeeping, but when that brought no results, went to the room with a flashlight to look under furniture herself. Penny was unable to find the missing piece of jewelry which thankfully turned up simply misplaced among our bags. This sort of "above and beyond the call of duty" experience cements our desire to return to Best Western Northwest Lodge in Boise on our next trip west!

I was greeted warmly on first arrival. Easy check in. Thanked for long term membershihp and for my service (I am a veteran); room large and comfortable; wished I had brought my swimsuit - indoor pool looked inviting and large..

Needed a suite with a separate master , paid for just that. 400$ … got there and it's separate , by a pony wall, that's it. No privacy or anything. Completely misleading description on the website. So flushed all the extra money .. and stil had to pay a per deposit on top of the rooom. Crazy!!!

This seems like an older property. I found it noisy with constantly slamming doors that shake the surrounding area. Didn't help that they have family suites so if I ever had to stay here again I'd ask for something away from the family suites, away from the laundry and away from the pool area. The old elevator is creaky. The staff is really good. The breakfast was ok with a comfortable seating area. There are locations nearby for food shopping, fuel and dining and it's a good area for walking.

Television in my room would not work, but this got figured out. Reservation system was down when I was checking in m, so a long line, and a lot of time, but this is not the this locations fault, so not holding it against them. Clean room and some nice people at the front desk. Not a big deal for me, but the breakfast items seemed to run out early. I would probably stay here again all things considered.

The room was overpriced for what it was $185. It was sold as a handicapped room, but it was just a regular room with some bars installed in the bathtub/shower. A small bathtub with a shower is not for the handicapped. The bottom of the bathtub was so slippery I fell stepping into the shower, was able to catch myself on one of the bars. Very dangerous for anyone trying to use. The info sheet in the room said there were cookies and milk in the lobby every evening from 8 to 9 pm, I went and asked the desk clerk where they were, He snapped back that there were no cookies there and stepped in the back room and shut the door. He was a real grouch. I do have to say the room was very clean and the bed was ok.

Let me begin by saying that this hotel has been our standard stay in Boise. It's been declining little by little. When we stayed in September, we got one of the last rooms as there were many firefighters in the area. Our room was filthy… pee on the toilet back, toothpaste in the sink, pink bobby-pins on the bathroom floor. Since there were no other rooms, we did not make a stink. At checkout, I mentioned that our room was not to standard. Clerk said he didn't know what to say about that. Head of housekeeping stood next to him… crickets. Filled out Best Western survey… crickets. Not a cheap hotel.

We've stayed here before and loved it. Very comfortable and clean. Staff super friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy and the room is very cozy and not too big. Lots of channels to pick from and even movie channels, which I rarely see at hotels. Great place to stay

Location is perfect for driving through town. A good breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Wi-fi works well. The slowest elevator on the planet. Friendly and professional staff. Gas station, grocery store, fast food outlet and an excellent coffee shop, just across the road.

I think the best part of our stay was meeting Penny at the check in desk. She was so friendly and helpful! She went out of her way to help us and other travelers too. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of light for reading, etc. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Great pillows! Breakfast was good as well with a good variety of choices. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely stay, staff was amazing, breakfast was great, couldn't ask for a better weekend away. It was clean. Friendly, very homey.definitely will be coming back and staying here again, no doubt!! The price was also perfect.

We stayed here on our way through ID to the SW. Nice hotel with great staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. We had asked for a quiet room and were initially placed in one right next to the freeway, but they moved us easily when we asked.

The room we had was way outdated. Had to stay in a “pet room “ since we were traveling with our dog. Room smelled like it had never been cleaned, stains on the carpet, the bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom was dirty and out dated and the TV did not work correctly.

Jasmine at the front desk was amazing. So kind and helpful! No matter what I needed assistance with she was patient and happy to help. My husband and I are in the middle of a cross country move and had a rough go with our other hotel. Got a great night sleep at BW NW Lodge and we are ready to hit the road again.

This property appears to be newer and is located in an interesting area, a bit off the beaten path in an industrial/light commercial area. It does have very good freeway access and is close to travelers needs such as fueling stations. The facility is very clean and comfortable, provides a good breakfast, and has very good wi-fi service. It could be better if there was more attention paid to the little details.

It worked good for a place to stay. I was disappointed that the type of room I booked was not available so they downgraded me free of charge. They were working on the outside and only one door was available which was the farthest from my room. The breakfast was fair. I don't consider it really up to Best Western standards.

Boise hotel prices are very high, so we expected this location to be decent. It is not. Dirty and dated, in need of a major refresh. Bathroom room fan sounded like a helicopter and literally shook the walls. Fan in room next door left on entire stay was equally loud and made sleep difficult.

We use Best Western for a lot of our car travels and usually have a good experience. Our room was obviously not vacuumed, the toilet had an unsightly ring, whether from being stained or not cleaned I don't know and it wouldn't stop running without jiggling the handle. The corners of the bathroom floor were not clean and there were no washcloths. We would have asked for another room but overheard the desk clerk say they were full that night. The whole place looked tired and worn.

This hotel is nice and clean, great location in Twin Falls and close to many restaurant selections. The breakfast is what is memorable in comparison to others. A great variety of breakfast items, from omelets/sausages/potatoes/gravy to waffles, cereals, fruits/juices, small danishes, etc.......My only negative is that it seems slightly overpriced for the location of Twin Falls.

It was fine. I was surprised that I slept as well as I did since the mattress was pretty soft. Room was made up and ready as requested. Typical experience for this brand. Pool open late. Better than average breakfast.

This was the worst BW I have ever stayed at. We exclusively use BW and another big brand when we travel because we have never had a bad experience before. There was moldy coffee grounds in our coffee pot when we arrived. We had reserved 2 rooms and both had hair in sink or tub. One room had what looked like pubes or shaving remnants in the tub and the other had longer hair and shaving bits left in the sink. Both rooms had a stale cigarette smell upon arrival that seemed to kind of linger. We were also told that breakfast went until 9:30 and upon arrival to breakfast a few minutes before 9 we were told it ended at 9. When multiple people stated that they were told otherwise the staff begrudgingly refilled SOME of the items for people to be able to eat. We also requested adjoining rooms when I spoke with someone the night before and was told they don't offer those even though the site stated they did, but I was fine with that sometimes the sites are wrong. However I would like the rooms be next to each other since we were traveling together as a group and there was a lot of push back about how that was not possible unless we checked in right at 4pm because they just give out the rooms as people check in.

We arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon & were given a ground floor room as requested. The rooms on the 1st floor are pet-friendly. We weren't traveling with a pet but it didn't matter. The desk clerk was polite & friendly & advised us that the hotel would be serving freshly-baked cookies & milk at 8:00 p.m. What a bonus! Our room was clean, comfortable, good beds, good a/c, nice towels & toiletries. The hotel is a short walk from Bad Boy Burgers where we were able to get a quick dinner. When we came back to the hotel after dinner, the hotel Labradoodle was standing at the front desk looking as if it were the receptionist. Adorable! As promised, cookies & milk were served at 8:00 p.m. Very good breakfast next morning in the beautiful breakfast room. The pool looked lovely, too, although we didn't use it.

For what you get the cost is high, the room was nice not outstanding had a microwave and a small refrigerator. The breakfast in the morning was satisfying better than some other places but not outstanding have had much better. Location is very good, easy access to the interstate #84.

I write a lot of reviews, and very rarely a negative one. This time I need to speak up. The property is fine and the rooms are clean and up to Best Western standards. I have no complaints about that. However, we were traveling with 3 dogs, which means a $30 per dog pet fee. I knew that, so my brother and I arranged that I would pay for the room and he would pay the pet fee. We've done that at several other Best Westerns without incidence. When I checked my phone after check in it appeared the room had been charged to me and the dogs to my brother. The charges showed on our cards. The next morning my brother asked why they had tried to charge him another $300 on his card overnight? It was over his limit so it didn't go through so we ignored it. Then later on after check out I received notice they had charged me $90 again for the dogs on my card. I called to ask them why that happened and here's where it all went really wrong. I believe the girl was Anna who had checked us in. She said that after we had checked in her auditor had an issue with how the Best Western program had dealt with splitting the charge so they just charged it all to me. She said in 5-7 days it would be reversed back to my brothers card. When I reiterated that wasn't how it was supposed to go, she told me "That's just the way it is". Hmmm First, if there was a problem, why did neither she nor her "auditor" call and let us know? Nobody reached out to address the error or let us know. We knew from checking for ourselves. And why didn't she say "I made a mistake, sorry for the error"? That would have been miles better than "our system wouldn't do it, that's just the way it is". As I said before, the system absolutely will do it, you just have to be properly trained and willing to learn. I've been using BW more on our pet travels because I've noticed incredible customer service with them at other locations. Boise Idaho fell very short of the other properties I've stayed at. Will not stay again.

We stayed here twice within a couple weeks on our trip to and from Alaska. We had the same front desk person both times. Her name was Amran, she was new to the hotel but was very pleasant. She was also good at multitasking as she was the only employee in the evening. Hotel is nice, great location and the complimentary breakfast is great.

Nice hotel property. Clean and a nice staff. The AC in our room did not work and given the hour, a maintenance person was not called. The hotel was fully booked so no replacement room was available. The desk clerk only offered $15 as compensation. That means she was not empowered by her management to do the right thing on the part of their customer. I was told she would, "let the manager know when she came in" and maybe something could be done. 24 hours later I have still not been contacted by management.

Me and my wife last minute made a reservation for her birthday Junior at the front desk helped us out not only did he get us a room at a decent rate he also upgraded us for my wife's birthday and no charge he was polite professional and we are locals and live nearby and will definitely be staying here again thanks for all your help Junior appreciate youo

This was a very nice hotel. Breakfast had a good assortment. Clean beds and comfortable. Air conditioner worked great! Not to noisy. Quick drive to anything you need. Downtown Boise is only about a 15 minute drive.

I wish I can give more stars for the excellent service they have offered to me. Me and my son have been on the road for over two weeks over the road trucking. It was time for us to relax and get out of small cramped space. BW Northwest lodge went out of their way to help with all the trouble I had with reservations through BW. I called reservations through BW Reservations and ask them to hold a room for us to verify for truck parking cause I needed to confirm with management with the business across the street where they told me where I can park because I have already been caught in a situation with another chain that I had my truck and trailer towed away which cost a little over $2800 and I'm not having that situation happen again. Second is they were supposed to hold a room for me, but since it was a deadline to where I couldn't get a refund if I booked at the BW Meridian, but when I called them back to finalize after speaking to management they gave the room away. This is where BW Northwest Lodge exceeded above and beyond to accommodate me and my son and made everything right. If any truckers need a place to stay they do have truck parking available just behind them on vacant lot which they own. My room was exceptionally clean, quiet, and best of all worlds the staff was friendly and courteous. Thank you Humberto for your all that you do for this hotel and I'm glad that you are apart of their staff when I checked in and Jessica where she took over to finish everything. Thank you Paul that you have let these employees do.

We stopped here for the night on our trip from CO to WA. Nice, clean, quiet hotel, with a good comfortable bed (one of my biggest concerns). The room layout could be better, but over all, no complaints here.

We stayed here for a team event, had a lot of rooms rented out, the front desk was great, there was a maintenance guy or something was really rude, very hostile, and aggressive, I never got his name, but an Hispanic gentleman, short hair, couldn't get a good look at him cuz he had a mask on, very disrespectful. Many of our group were very disappointed and the rooms had no screens, ac didn't get cold, the pool area had black mold and no towels! Would never stay here again

Even though it is right by the freeway you do not hear the traffic noise. Some awesome food places right close by as well, which also makes it good. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Boise, without staying downtown.

My family and I stayed here on our recent mini vacation to Boise. From start to finish the staff we're extremely friendly and accomodations. The room was clean as was every area we went into and the beds were the most comfortable beds I've slept in at a hotel. Such a great place to stay!

The staff was really helpful and friendly, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The breakfast was great and the pools were super warm and comfy to relax in (even the swimming pool is heated!) Coffee is available downstairs and always was fresh and the cookies and milk every night was a great way to wind down.

We always stay at Northwest Lodge when going through Boise. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always friendly. Comfortable beds, great breakfast. It's a no brainer to book into this hotel. Predictably lovely.

Hotel has family suites that have 3 beds. Great for travelers with more than the standard 4 guests! Breakfast was hot and came with the booking, no extra costs. This BW has pet friendly rooms available, but call ahead to ensure they have one for the type of room you desire.

Room was clean, staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great. I would stay at Best Western again and would recommend to family and friends. The pool and hot tub was a nice area to relax. The bed was comfortable with pillows to pick from to include firm and soft.

The hotel is difficult to find. The signage for the hotel is almost non-existent and the hotel is difficult to see from the road. We had trouble finding the hotel even with GPS. You need to turn at the Sherwin Williams paint store and proceed on this road. When we got to the hotel the girl said that she had another customer complain about the difficulty finding them earlier that day. We had done our booking through Expedia, When we went to check in they had lost our booking. Fortunately my husband had printed out our confirmation. This is an older hotel and it needs some TLC. The lobby and hallways have an unpleasant musty odor. The room is just a basic room. The wash basin is not in the same room as the toilet and shower but is out in the hallway. I did not find the bed to be comfortable. When we went to sleep in the evening I noticed that my bed did not have a blanket. Who makes a bed without a blanket. There was no extra blanket so we had to call the front desk to request a blanket for the bed. Breakfast was okay. We would definitely not stay at this hotel again.

For a Pet Friendly Hotel the room was clean, the staff was amazing and friendly, and it is easy to find right off of the interstate. And Bully Breed Friendly! I would Recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling through the Boise area!

The hotel is well located near the highway for easy access. You do hear quite a lot of road noise. The rooms are ok, clean and adequate. Mid range hotel, nothing special but acceptable. Breakfast was good. Lots of parking. Staff were professional looking in BW logo clothing. Internet was free and worked well.

All staff members were so helpful and kind. All areas of the hotel are very clean. Safe environment inside & out. Great price. Good variety at breakfast. Front desk staff went above & beyond in caring for our family needs during our visit.

I arrived while front desk was on phone, was ignored, then another guest arrived, she was ignored, after about ten minutes the girl got off the phone and she briefly apologize. My elite status was ignored both at c/in and c/out. Never offered water or snacks or additional points. Both front desk agents couldn't provide recommendations for dinner.

I used to love to stay at this property but it has declined over the last couple of years. I was not given the room I reserved online--I was given one of lesser quality with no recourse and it was too late to go to another hotel. This has happened to me twice, so I will not be staying here again. I had to clean the tub before using it--still contained pubic hair from the last guest. Management does not respond to emails. Staff was generally friendly and the breakfast was good. Bed was very comfortable.

My partner and I were at the hotel for 33 days as our house was not ready to move into. The staff in the front and cleaning staff were more than helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Always friendly and kind.

We enjoy this hotel and are happy they have dropped their prices back down a little so we can afford to stay there. With breakfast and a nice pool area, it is a good value. It's also pretty quiet. We love the lodge theme in the beautiful lobby and the cookie hour!

Not much too say here. It didn't stand out although the log accents were nice. Everything was Ok except for the bathroom floor coating was peeling making pieces stick to the bottom of your feet. Location was in a declining area on the edge of town with a shut down mall.

I booked with third party for my stay and paid for it. Had a family emergency and had to go home back to California so I checked out early. The best western in Boise Idaho then went on to charge me as well. So not only did I pay the third party but I also paid best western them self.

The matress was very soft and felt like there was a hole in the center. We requested a room away from freeway and was given a room facing it. Called the front desk for assistance with the TV and was told manager would call back but never did. Hotel not up to Best Western standards.

Delay in checking in due to cleaning of rooms, room not very clean, hot tub down, pool floor very slippery both of my kids slipped and fell and hit their head, muggy odor smell in room, bathroom looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in months. Finger prints left on furniture. Window of room left cracked open. No soap in shower dispensers.

I've stayed at the Best Western Northwest Lodge many many times over the last few years and have always been pleased. This past trip was anything but pleasant so I can only assume there's been a change in management. While they do offer a full breakfast, the employee manning that area did an awful job ensuring breakfast items and coffee were refilled. I also noticed that every time I went to the lobby, there was a group of employees gathered at the front desk laughing, partying, had their children with them, etc. Very unprofessional! To cap off our trip, the fire alarms went off at 2am (apparently it was a false alarm) but at no time did we receive any sort of apology for the inconvenience. Although I love the location of this Best Western, sadly I will not be staying there again.

Only one washer and dryer for a hotel this size was not enough. Upon registering we were upgraded to a three bedroom family suite which for three ladies traveling was great. At 2am a guest pulled the fire alarm and was subsequently removed from the premises by the police. The night desk clerk was Jacquelyn and was professional and caring. Our check in clerk Benz was exceptionally friendly and made our registration smooth.

We had a fine stay at this excellent hotel. Everything was as we have come to expect it at a Best Western Hotel. The precautions for COVID were well under control, and everything else was fine too. We always stay at Best Western (if available) when we travel, though COVID has kept us at home for the last 18 months. We were in Boise for a wedding, and we enjoyed everything about our stay.

We were extremely uncomfortable in the hotel. Online description stressed protective measures being taken but the reception desk folks had no masks and the housekeepers had no gloves or masks. We never let the housekeepers in the room.

Stayed one night here while on a road trip through the area. It is a newer Best Western property that has an appealing lodge feel. The room was very spacious and clean. Furniture and bed linens were updated to current styles. Check in staff was friendly. Breakfast was better than standard and included hot items like waffles, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage. Convenient right off the freeway on the east edge of town.

We stayed one night. The staff were very friendly. Our room was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub was cold & didn't run,didn't check on the pool. It's nice to walk across the parking lot and eat at the bad Boys burger. It had lots of options to chose from including vegie burgers. We would definitely recommend this hotel. It was very clean,& and had a hot breakfast.

Check in was a breeze. Our stay was quiet and very comfy. Made our anniversary staycation a blissful retreat! Our room had the whirlpool tub. Room was very clean but not chemically smelling, which is wonderful for asthmatic people!

This hotel is literally right off the freeway. Thankfully the room was rather quiet and easy to get around. The decor was fun and the team easy to work with. Grocery store and gas was nearby, plus quick to jump on 15 to go into town if you'd like.

Staff super helpful. Beds so soft you disappear into them. Both queens in room 129 or like marshmallows. terrible nights sleep. If I can say sleep, maybe got two hours of solid sleep. Good beds should be #1 priority for a hotel!!! Very disappointing as today's the first day of our exploration of Idaho~ not a great way to start the day.

Very expensive price for disappointing room. The room had a strong odor of burnt plastic. The shower was plumbed wrong so the water could only be hot or cold, never warm. The refrigerator was turned off which we discovered after our food went bad.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The family suite with 2 queens and a king was perfect. One of our favorite things was the great breakfast. They had sausage links, bacon, scrambled eggs, and breakfast potatoes plus other options. We enjoyed the little milk bottles and individual juices. The hostess at breakfast was very pleasant.

This is a very nice hotel in a suburban setting close to Micron and easy access to the interstate. I had a quiet room and it was very clean. There are a few fast food restaurants close by however dine in restaurants are about a 10 to 15 minute drive. I felt very safe in this hotel and the staff is very cordial.

I hate writing negative reviews but this place deserves one. Don't bother staying here. The walls are very thin. The heating and cooling system was unreliable. The channel reception sucked. The shower heads are stiff and difficult to move. And there was a smell of marijuana in the hallway. The front desk check in staff was not helpful. Usually you are greeted and thanked for being a member. Not so here. When I asked for them to write down the email address she blurted it out knowing that I didn't have anything to write on. I had issues with redeeming reward gift cards and they didn't even try to help. The buildings were hot. And in the morning, the side door wouldn't allow me access back into the building, so I had to keep going back to the front of the building. The only positives were that the beds were comfortable and the night clerk was friendly and helpful. If any of this sounds acceptable, then you might enjoy staying here. Otherwise, support a different hotel while staying in Boise.

The wife and I stayed at this BW plus during a recent 3 week road trip (this was near the end of out trip). Room was clean and comfortable, and the morning breakfast was pretty decent we thought (scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon and biscuits and gravy were the mains, as I recall). The only problem we had was the hotel is pretty far from the downtown area (roughly 6 or 7 miles), making it a good 20 minutes trip to our dinner reservation at Bitter Creek alehouse. Also, I gather this hotel is popular with pet owners. While we were told we were not staying in a designated "pet room," the room still smelled of perfumed disinfectant. Outside of those relatively minor problems, we enjoyed our stay at this BW hotel.

We had traveled the entire day and after 10 hours of driving we received a call at 9pm with only 20 minutes until we would have been arriving, saying that our reservation had been canceled. The manager said there was a 'glitch' in their system and the hotel was overbooked. He did not help us with accommodations for the night elsewhere. We had to call many hotels as they were all booked and could not find a place that late and within an hours driving distance. It was very disappointing to travel all day just to find out you have no place to stay and there was no reason they shouldn't have called earlier. I hope nobody else ever has to go through what we did that night because it was the worst experience with a hotel I've had in my entire life.

Enjoyed our stay here. Bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and clean. The floor was vinyl plank which was a nice update (versus carpet.) The toilet and shower were separate from the sink which is nice if one has to use the restroom and the other trying to use the mirror to get ready. We were on the first floor and the side door to take our little Shorkie out was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again :)

The beds were by far the most comfortable beds we slept on. We had stayed in 3 previous hotels before. The only bad thing was that we had to wake up to early. Didn't get to enjoy the beds to there fullest.

I wish we had stayed at the airport BW. In all fairness, the room was very nice and super comfortable bed. However, we are diamond BW members and stay many nights per month and were disappointed in the treatment of elite members.

Clean room with comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Due to Covid still no use of fitness center or pool. Only fast food and an Albertson's within walking distance. Compared to other Best Westerns in the area the price and value of the stay was very reasonable.

It was a horrible experience. Dirty room, no blanket, ran out of toilet paper, no traction in the tub so I fell. They lied. No one told us the breakfast hours so no breakfast and they closed it early.They say they tell their tenants things but they didn't tell them especially about the breakfast bar. Did not know the pool and spa were closed till we got there. Tried to call twice before we checked in no one would answer. No TV channels except sports and paid programs. The phone in the room was dead so you couldn't call the front desk. Staff was extremely rude and know nothing about customer service. Websites are out dated. I've stayed in cheaper hotels than this one that had better customer service.

Everything worked great. They were pleasant and accommodating. I have absolutely no complaints this time. The breakfast is minimal but fine. They do try to take care of your needs as best they can with the Covid-19 restrictions. I will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very kind and accommodating despite the covid outbreak... our room was clean and everything was in working order. Very cozy and the building was quiet which makes for a good nights rest. We will defiantly be back soon!

Short version: Unhelpful staff, dingy appearance, and a terrible breakfast made this a poor stay for my family. For details, please read on. Full version: After a long drive, my family decided we needed to find a hotel and we settled on this Best Western, because we had decent experiences with other locations. A quick rate check online showed it was in the right price range. Upon arrival the night manager said he could not price match or honor the online rate, giving us a rate almost $20 more than the lowest online rate. We went back out to our car, spent 10 minutes to reserve online, saving the money, then checked in without other issue. We were told that breakfast was included, but we'll get to that... The lighting was wan and yellowish, and the hallway light fixtures were bare bulbs covered by roughly cut squares of wallpaper. The wallpaper, paint, and carpet we're all in a state of needing repair or cleaning. We were starting to get a bad feeling. The room was clean, but the furniture was misaligned, the bathroom small and with a sink in the entryway where lighting made shaving more difficult. The room we stayed in had single pane windows that let in a lot of highway noise and the bathroom fan rattled alarmingly. If we hadn't been so tired from the road, I would have asked for a refund and left, because we wouldn't have been able to sleep. In the morning we endured the raucous rattle of the fans and cleaned up, or tried to. The soap, shampoo, and body wash dispensers we're all empty and the small bottles of shampoo and conditioner were not enough for each of us to use. We dressed and went for breakfast. Breakfast was paltry and lazy. One type of pastry was available (cheese strudel muffins) which I wouldn't touch with a stick, two or three types of pre packed cereals (kinds we didn't care for), and child sized milks and OJs. There were also some apples with spots on them and stale old oranges. I asked the front desk staffer if there was any other type of pastry and she rudely dismissed me saying that everything else they had was frozen. I offer to take a frozen pastry and let it thaw, but she said that they only had blueberry (which makes me sick) at hand, and that she wasn't going to dig through a bunch of boxes to find me something else. Our breakfast was milk and butter, stale coffee. We are leaving now and will not return to this location. I would encourage others not to either until substantial improvement is made in facilities, maintenance, and customer service. Thanks for reading. Safe travels.

With the many hotel choices in the Boise area, don't stay here. The room had a smell, mattresses were uncomfortable, the staff was unhelpful and rude, there was an incessant banging noise all night long. I had to check out after one night and search for a room else ware. I am a loyal Best Western customer and have never had an experience like this. Very disappointing!!!

My previous review of this hotel was quite positive so needless to say I had no concerns about staying here again. Sadly I probably won't make that mistake again. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (I felt like I was going to sink to the floor). The room didn't feel clean, there was very little TP in the bathroom when we checked in, a light was out over the sink just to name a few things with the room (it felt like the room hadn't been used in a very long time). I was very disappointed to learn upon checking in the pool and workout facilities weren't available and there was no real breakfast to speak of (grab and go bag with junk). I understand that all of this is due to COVID-19 and outside their control but listing that on the website would have been a good idea. Upon check-in, we were told the elevator was out of order but it wasn't (they had just gotten it fixed apparently). When I checked out, it was out of order so I had to drag my suitcase down 2 flights of steps. The hotel needs some serious upgrading!

On our 7 day trip, spending nights in several places, this was hands down the worst experience of the trip. I am so unhappy with this place, for so many reasons, I don't have the time or space to write down all the inadequacies it had.

Unbelievable! Not requiring face masks, not sanitizing luggage carts, and not doing anything extra to provide protection to COVID. Honestly, we were taken back by their lack of care. Best Western website says they are committed to safe COVID travel and conditions. Not at this hotel.

Everything about this hotel seemed like it would be fine. We just wanted a place to sleep for the night during our trip, and the price and location was good. The hotel looked clean, the rooms looked good. Then we sat on the beds and sunk down probably six inches or more. In a word, the mattresses were terrible. Maybe we should have asked for a different room, or just left, but we didn't. That was a mistake. What followed was a night of tossing and turning, I woke up with a kinked neck, and two days later it still hurts. Lying down on the bed was like trying to sleep on a marshmallow. My wife felt the same -- it was not possible to get comfortable. I would have been better off on an air mattress! The staff was also not very courteous when my wife called to ask for an extra towel. We had four people in a room designed for up to four (double queen beds), but the policy is to only put three towels in the room. We were told to come down to the lobby to get a towel, rather than having the hotel offer to bring it to us. Breakfast was a cheap and unenjoyable sack with a stale pastry and granola bar, and an apple -- the apple was the best part. No drink, no protein. We get COVID-19 prevents a regular breakfast, but something better could have been provided.

I am used to a little better from Best Western but it is not a bad place. The room was moderate size, a little worn and pretty clean. The ice machine is broke on the main floor so you have to go to the third floor and when I took a shower the water builds up about 6 inches in the tub. The barely left enough toilet paper and the Kleenex was only one in the box. It was quiet and seemed safe. Overall the stay was fine but more in the class of a Quality Inn only more expensive.

Situated outside the city, this hotel was ideal for us to stop drama-free on our way to Utah. The dog-friendly room was laminated with faux wood so we did not have to stress about any doggy incidents. The room was flawless, practically brand new. The hotel is within the flight path of the airport, but we did not keep us up at night- must be the windows.There is a supermarket within walking distance, and there are plenty of sidewalks to walk your pooch. The pool was closed (June 2020) because of the Covid.

I feel safe. The room was clean and well presented. Tea, coffee, frig, good tv, easy to use controller. Very comfortable bed, place to charge iPhone, able to get good parking even after arriving late. Bummed no pool, breakfast or nighttime milk & cookies.

This was our first stop on family southwest road trip. 50% capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions, clean, friendly environment, easy access on and off highway. Best Western Plus was a pleasant stay. Pizza at Flying Pie was great too.

got here paid the was told the pool was closed. Get up for breakfast and there is non its a sack with and apple and a doughnut!! Was never told there was no breakfast either we booked it because of the pool and breakfast

This is a very decent place to stay and easy to find. It has a lodge feel to it. The bedroom was nice, but I didn't like the bathroom situation because the sink and getting ready counter are not in the bathroom, so you would wake up anyone trying to sleep. Because of the Corona virus, we were provided a sack to-go breakfast which included an applie and a very tiny muffin. That was a huge disappointment. The check in guy was wonderful and the check out girl was very uninterested in us or her job. We were sad that the pool wasn't open, but that was to be expected.

We arrived around 1030 pm got checked right in and we were shocked we actually got a 1st floor room. Much appreciated after driving 900 miles. Clean and comfortable stay. Even though breakfast can't be served we appreciated the to go bag with a Danish, an orange,and a granola bar. Thanks again!

We only ever stay at Best Western hotels. Some are better than others, that's for sure. Our trip was due to my mother passing away. I had been having such a hard time sleeping. Our sleep that night was great!

Overall experience was great. Staff is friendly. Rooms are a good size, in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. The hotel is on the far edge of town, but only a 15 or 20 minute drive from downtown. The full, hot breakfast was good. The only real complaint was lack of variety for breakfast (we stayed 5 nights), and nowhere to get a drink or other meals at the hotel or anywhere within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here recently, the hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. The only downside was the pool being right near the front of the hotel so a lot of people were looking in as they went by especially since they had a class of some sort right across the hallway. Besides that I don't have any complaints, would stay here again.

During my recent visit to Boise, I quickly realized the hotel I'd book just wasn't going to work out so I was in a position of looking for another hotel that had specific amenities (2 queen size beds, breakfast, pool), decently priced and located fairly close to the airport. I'd stayed at other Best Westerns before both in Boise and other cities in the past and found them to be acceptable. When I came across the Best Western Northwest Lodge, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it met all of my criteria plus some. I've been coming to Boise for over 10 years to visit family and didn't realize this hotel was even there! The breakfast is very nice, the atmosphere is almost like a hunting lodge which I found very quaint, the location was absolutely perfect and the hotel just had a clean feel. I consider this a hidden gem because it's off the beaten path and wasn't crowded at all. Perhaps it was the time of year I was visiting or maybe it is because it's so out of the way but I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Boise.

Last minute booking, traveling through. Hotel was clean, easy access to the interstate. Beds were a little too soft for me, but slept well. Very quiet. Front desk was friendly, fast check in and check out. Good breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay here in this lovely property. Our room was clean and comfortable in every way. The front desk staff was helpful, even let me enjoy the hot tub after normal hours, as we had arrived quite late. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. This is a very nice property, and will draw me back again next time I am in Boise.

We stayed in this hotel when coming to Boise, ID for my granddaughter's graduation from BSU. It was close to many stores you would need. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is included and worth eating - very good food.

Uncaring staff tell you one thing and does another. Noisy work and maintenance done until 10:00 at night two nights in a row, with no concern for guests and with a belligerent attitude with intent to irritate! We will not stay at any BW locations again in the future!

A bit out of the way to arrive late and want a place to eat besides fast food. The room was clean and comfortable bed & pillows. The shower dispenser was empty and the tub faucet was backwards. Hot was cold & cold was hot! It was located in a not so busy area and easy on and off the freeway.

We arrived in the dark so missed the turnoff from the freeway and had to backtrack. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was well decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable leading to a good night's sleep. The motel is on the edge of town so out of the way, but very quiet. The staff recommend a great restaurant for dinner. We returned to warm cookies and milk - nice touch. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay here.

We were extremely happy with the hotel, the room and breakfast - lots of variety both hot and cold - also the cookies and milk in the evening was a great surpise! :) The room was a good value for price paid.

The complimentary mini-cookies are absolutely delicious. Get them while they are warm because they go fast. Our room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The pool area was relaxing. Breakfast had a wide variety of items and the breakast room was clean and comfortable.

We recently stayed at this property for 2 nights on a leisure trip to Boise. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, as well as fairly quiet, given the proximity to the airport. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was nice with a good variety of offerings available. We will definitely stay again!

Excellent place to stay, breakfast was good, rooms were comfortable -- the pool is a little small if you have a group of kids, but overall a great location for tournaments at the Simplot Soccer Fields

The location is awesome. Close by the freeway, but without the traffic noise. Breakfast is alright, but the have the fresh yogurt machine. They just need more fruit for the yogurt. Room is cozy, make sure though you gt the small bottle of shampoo. I got 2 conditioners but no shampoo. The front desk will give it to you with no problem.

Easy to get to right off the interstate, but no restaurants close by except fast food chains. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. It was a little confusing trying to get back on the interstate due to a divider that prohibits a left turn from their parking lot.

The check-in and check out was efficient and the woman that checked us in was very professional and friendly and made me feel truly welcomed. It's a personal preference issue, but the bed was a little too soft for our liking. We ate breakfast about half an hour before it closed, and the food was average BW hot breakfast. That being said, we didn't see any workers in the dining area, and the empty tables had syrup or other debris on them. The lobby and room was clean. Price for the room was average for the area at the time.

The stay was great. The location was perfect to access I84 to go downtown Boise or head into Nampa. The rooms are very clean, and the breakfast was great. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Breakfast had skim milk, but cereals all had sugar. Peanut bitter was name brand and good. They had a yogurt machine with toppings available which was nice to have. A big negative was the spoon holder; it was impossible to get a spoon without touching others and that is a great way to pick up germs! Some BWs have dispensers for plastic ware which is much better for health reasons. Luggage carts were good and room was well arranged. Sink was separate from rest of bath which is big plus.

We stayed in a family suite which had 1 King bed and 2 Queen beds. The room was very nice and I appreciated the extra sink. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if there was an actual door dividing the rooms. Overall it was a great room. The pool/hot tub area was small but nice. The pool was supposed to be heated but it felt pretty chilly to us. We loved the breakfast. There was a huge variety of food and plenty of it (even towards the end of the breakfast time). The cookies and milk in the evening were also a nice tough. Would stay here again for sure!

We liked this inn. We were checked in quickly and pleasantly. The room was cozy, as was the rest of the inn. We used the pool and hot tub. It appears as if they need to paint the pool. It does have an elevator and interior corridors. I would not hesitate to stay at this inn again.

Had a great stay at this motel on 2 separate occasions within a week. One of the best continental breakfast we have ever had. The amount of food and the quality was tops. Rooms were great. Quiet and Clean.

My plans had changed and I failed to update my reservation. The staff was very helpful getting me a room. I really enjoyed the access to Anytime Fitness which was very close. This is one of the best pet friendly hotels I have stayed at.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. We live in another state and our family is in Idaho. It is a very clean hotel. Staff is very professional. Also has an awesome breakfast and hot cookies in the evening. I would recommend for any type of stay!

While I only stayed here one night, I had an enjoyable stay. Convenient location, A/C works well, comfy bed, and wifi worked great. It was a little noisy in the hallway with other doors shutting but that noise stopped around 9pm.

I had three comfortable nights in a clean large room. The hotel is on the edge of town, so it was quiet. Early check in was not possible. If you need early check in, make advance arrangements as the hotel may be busy. The complimentary breakfasts were adequate. The employees were pleasant, polite, and as helpful as they could be. The hotel does not have a Boise City Map, so you will need to bring your own if you do not have a GPS or smart phone. There are no good restaurants nearby, so identify the possibilities before you arrive. The hotel has limited restaurant information. The entrance to the hotel parking lot is on Federal Way. If you try to exit the same way you came in, you can only turn right and making a U-Turn is awkward. Instead, drive behind the Sherrington Williams paint store and use the traffic signal to enter Federal Way. Then you can turn left to head to town. The signal usually changes quickly. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and hot tub. The place looks great for children.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Northwest Lodge in Boise, ID. The staff were warm, welcoming, and friendly. Great Location, Well appointed rooms, would definitely stay again. What else can I say?!

We loved this place! We thought the price we paid and what we got in return was incredible. Our room was on the 2nd floor. We were a corner room with two picture windows that looked out onto the beautiful mountains of Boise. We never heard anyone, never. They had a great TV with multiple cable stations available. The room was large for a hotel room and always clean and comfortable. There was everything we needed in the room, AC that worked, a mini fridge which we used and a microwave. They serve wonderful cookies in the evening. In regards to the breakfast, I think one of the best hotels ever for breakfast selections. No, this is not the buffet at an Embassy Suites but with this type of lodging, yes, probably the best we have had. Many hot items to select as well as the usual breakfast items. I have a gluten allergy so I am always thinking there will be nothing for myself but they had gluten free cereal for me as well as almond milk along with fruit. Made me very happy. We always enjoyed our breakfast before we started off for the day. Due to a family emergency, we had to extend our stay a little longer than we expected and the desk worked with us to not only getting us a room but letting us stay in the room we had already been staying in. Staff was always friendly and helpful. We have absolutely no complants. We will be staying here again when we return to Boise. Great job to all that work at this location in giving us a wonderful experience.

I stayed for business for 3 nights here. Although the room was clean and tidy I thought I was going back to the 60's. The bathroom was very dated and a little tired but everything worked. The bed was ok but what really annoyed me was dogs barking in rooms around me super early in the morning or just inconsiderate people talking loudly passing your room late at night. Location is ok, staff were friendly. Personally I would probably stay somewhere else.

I've stayed here several times. The high quality of the hotel has been constant for all of those stays. Good staff. Clean facility. Quiet location. My only caution is if you are mobility restricted be sure and get an accessible room. The normal room chairs and bathroom fixtures are quite low and , with no bars to help, can present a challengs.

Nice staff, comfortable room, clean but a bit small. My only, but big, complaint is that they allow smoking right out the doors. It is totally obnoxious for us as non-smokers to have to walk thru someone's toxic cancer cloud to get out to our car. Even the housekeeper was smoking right outside the door. They should require smoking in designated areas only, and at least 20 feet from the building in order to not impact the guests who are walking out or would like to open windows.

I spent 50+ days at this hotel over the last 3 months on business and I would never stay anywhere else. The free breakfast had more to choose from than some restaurants. Very nice staff who immediately tended to anything I needed. You can't go wrong with this place but book well in advance because the secret is out and they sell out their rooms fast.

I made a mistake and booked at the Northwest Lodge when I meant to book at another hotel in a city 2 hours away. Manager was unwilling to help me out and I ended up paying twice for the same night is two different Best Westerns. It was my mistake and the manager could have rented my room which I understand. I tried to call the hotel but their phones were off as it was after 10pm. I call 800 number but was told to call hotel in the morning. I was hoping for some kind of consideration because I stay at Best Westerns a lot and at this hotel most of all but the manager was unwilling to help. I am a Diamond Select level guest and hoped this would make a difference but it didn't. I am not really mad at Best Western or the hotel and it is a nice place if a little out of the way, however, because my loyalty means little to the hotel I have decided to take my stays elsewhere.

The value we got for the rice we paid was wonderful. We had great accommodations and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. We are staying at this location again for sure on our return trip. Best Western hotels are a great choice. They work hard to maintain a great standard in hotel accommodations.

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Northwest Lodge. We were in Boise for a funeral and it was a convenient location for us. We will stay here again if we return to the Boise area. It is a clean and well maintained property.

The Best Western Noirthwest Lodge was very clean and convenient for us to stay close to our family. The beds are comfortable and clean and the breadfast was excellent as were the nighttime cookies. We well stay there again.

Great location, quiet, fantastic breakfast, coffee all day, fruit all day, cookies from 8 to 9 PM. They welcome you to bring over your grandchildren for swimmiing and breakfast. Housekeeping clean and straighten the room in a flash.

Wonderful place to stay. We love the lodge feel. The staff are very accommodating. It was very easy for Interstate 84? Access. A nice part of Boise, being on eastern outskirts. There is a large chain grocery very close and a fast food restaurant.

Would have provided higher marks but… The room was either too hot or too cold… Difficult to moderate and the work out/bar room closed an hour after we got there in the afternoon and remain close throughout the duration of our stay… That was one of the reasons why we went because we are moving and our athletic equipment is in storage … To be fair, we were only there for one afternoon evening and checked out at 11.

Beautiful hotel with nice pool, hot tub & workout area. Staff were very welcoming & breakfast was excellent. Despite a mixup with hotel booking, the staff took extra steps to make it a good experience.

We got in around 9PM and the girl at the front desk was nice when we checked in. Dropped our luggage into the room and headed out to grab dinner. When we got back the kids wanted hot cocoa which they say it's available but they were out of hot water and the ladies af the front desk looked at us and went back to chatting with each other. We tried to get their attention but no one came over. The next morning, breakfast was served until 9:30 we get there at 9am and majority of the items were gone. We decided to just pack up our bags and check out and grab breakfast else where while we continued our road trip to Vegas.

2nd day with a late arrival. Room was saved and ready. Great staff and very helpful. Good truck parking and access. Left early AM. Statement was read. Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful with directions.

Loved this place. The staff was quite friendly and even offered dinner suggestions in town. The hotel and grounds were very clean, as were the rooms. The room was very well stocked. Breakfast was quite good (for a buffet). Well stocked and plenty warm. I would definitely stay here again.

No complaints. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was more than adequate. In addition to regular items like waffles, cereal and muffins they also had yogurt, sausage, potatoes and eggs. The pool looked to be out of service while we were there so we didn't get to try it. Everyone was friendly.

Upon check in, the gal was very personable and sincere. Overall the hotel was great and breakfast was outstanding. We will stay here again for sure. The only downfall was in the pool area, my daughter cut her foot on a broken drain cover in the pool and the spa was out of order. Spas aren't the most reliable things in the world so no deductions taken for that. Great place.

Very clean, comfortable and friendly staff. I've never had a problem and they know my preferences and remember me when I return. Even when I have to leave early, they try to make sure I have something for breakfast on the go.

Easy to find! Right off the freeway and the pool and hot tub was amazing after a long drive! I am very thrilled with the staff and the breakfast was so good! I will def return, and oh ya the beds were out of this world, I slept so good!

This is a very nice limited service hotel. The rooms are very nicely appointed in a Western motif. Spacious. Outstanding lighting throughout. Everything seemed quite clean. And the breakfast was very good, with enough hot and cold options for anyone's taste - and nice service staff to boot. As negatives, the shower head was in need of repair. Water pressure was almost nonexistent because half of the water was escaping through the bathtub faucet. Since I was there only two days, I didn't bother complaining. The red lamp on the telephone was constantly on. No big deal, as I could unplug the phone, but the front desk clerk the first night seemed to care less. Other staff the next day tried to resolve, but could not - at least they made an attempt. Overall, a very nice property that I would recommend.

I was satisfied with all aspects of my stay at this facility. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous and went out of their way to be of assistance. The breakfast was bountiful and there were a wide variety of choices.

We stayed for 3 nites and were very pleased with the stay. The pet rooms are located on the ground floor which is not what I prefer, but the noise from the above rooms was negligible so it worked out ok. The breakfast was good, my husband loves the fresh waffle option. We don't care for the dispenser amenities in the shower, I prefer soap rather than body gel. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice stay, we would stay again.

Very nice staff, both checking in and out in the morning. Basic breakfast but had a variety of food choices. Clean rooms and I actually had a good night sleep. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

Rooms are always clean, beds are comfortable and not over worn. Microwave and refrigerator in room is important to us.Good Wi-Fi performance.. Like having an indoor pool and decent fitness room. Very convenient to the areas I need to go in Boise.

Be aware that we woke up to baby bedbugs in bed with us. I did check when we arrived but clearly not good enough. Front desk was not surprised when we called down requesting manager in room, ——manager not available. After cleaning crew arrived and we showed them the bugs in the bed they called GM. She arrived shortly after unapologetic and borderline lasse faire. We did get refunded but still. Just be aware.

It was a great hotel and you can never go wrong with Best Western. Before my journey from Washington State to Texas I had done my research and had scene the images on google and it seemed that all the rooms looked nice and neat. The bad thing is that you can't tell the over all quality of a hotel through the pictures. Fortunately enough Best Western is the real deal and my family and I were completely satisfied.

Property was very cute. Room was very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was okay - standard fare for included breakfast. If it wasn't for the couple in the room next door that fought loudly until 1:30 I would have probably rated the hotel 4 stars

The service at the front desk was stellar. Room super clean. Just a really nice hotel. No complaints at all. Has a rustic lodge feel due to the log embellishments. They serve cookies in the evening. Breakfast in the morning.

I had an amazing stay, only dealt with Alicia and Vanessa but they were amazing and couldn't ask for a better pair at check in, I didn't check out at the front desk so I don't know how the checks out lady was, but I loved everything about this stay. Would stay again

We stayed here one night to attend a Boise State football game. It was located right off of the freeway and within about 5-7 minutes from Albertsons Stadium/Boise State campus. We were able to check in right at 3:00 and the front desk staff was fast and friendly. They have a heated indoor pool that went from 3-4 feet, which was great for younger children or older kids. We reserved a double queen pet friendly (they have 4 and it didn't smell like it was pet friendly) room, it was located on the first floor near the elevator, pool, and exit door. The room had hardwood flooring, fridge, microwave, desk, and chair. They have a nice grass area with picnic tables to walk the dogs. There was plenty of parking and the breakfast was decent (waffle maker, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, cereal, coffee, juice, etc). There was a grocery store, gas stations, restaurants within a mile or two of the location. Over all this was decent place to stay and we would stay again.

It's a fairly typical BW and was the rally hotel so it was jammed full of my rally friends. Staff were awesome, so one extra star for that! A recommend if you need to get to Idaho City quickly or the airport.

Rooms are always clean. Staff super helpful with all of our silly travel questions. Just outside of Boise nice proximity to downtown from the freeway. These nice sized rooms are always a pleasure to visit especially while we are in town for the soccer tournament.

We stayed at this location one night and found the hotel staff very accommodating, the hotel itself was beautiful and very clean and the room was so comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to boise!

We stayed here one night on our way home from Yellowstone NP. The hotel looked nice outside and inside. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. There was milk and cookies in the evening. Breakfast had a good variety of cold and hot items, which were kept well-stocked. The front desk person was friendly and helpful, but seemed a bit flustered at checkin - and got the billing wrong. The front desk was unable to resolve the billing problem at checkout. However, the manager resolved it the next day. We would stay here again.

Nothing special here. It's an older hotel and needs updating but the rooms are adequate and it is located outside Boise which was a plus for me. The rates are competitive with other hotels closer to the city. There are no restaurants in the immediate area.

I made a last minute reservation online for me, my 2 adult daughters & grandson. This place was great, clean room, nice bedding. A wonderful warm breakfast. The staff was great. Beautiful place & the cost was very reasonable.

Left a diamond ring in my room by accident. Staff left it discreetly under some tissues on my nightstand. Defines excellent service! Breakfasts were REAL EGGS and meets and the Biscuits and Gravy were exquisite....and I'm on a low carb diet!!

I believe this is my second review of this Best Western location and nothing has changed as far as the amazing service, location and overall value for what one receives in return. They have lost a couple great staff members over the last month but the current staff has not skipped a beat and still makes this road warrior feel like he has a second home away from home. I have an unwavering loyalty to this location for many reasons but the aforementioned comment is the main reason for it. Let their professional positive attitudes from all the staff here infect your day and I promise you will start that day off with a far better outlook than you had anticipated you could achieve when you were hitting that snooze button for the third time at 4:00am. The atmosphere here has a calming affect that is always good for the soul and it shows within the other patrons that stay here as well. A positive infectious personification of what a hotel stay should be.

This is a very nice hotel- very clean, nice staff. The breakfast was good, too. It only takes about 15-20 minutes to get into the city from here, so the location is great, too. My husband and son enjoyed the pool, although it is small and only goes to four feet deep. Our room was next to the elevator, so I could hear when the elevator activated, but people were generally quiet when getting off, and my ear plugs took care of the machine noise of it at night.

We received a friendly welcome at Check in from a female staff member (sorry to say I have forgotten her name !!!). We had already been welcomed by the hotel's Mascot - a Duck in his pond in a lovely area at the front of the hotel - he was apparently awaiting the birth of his soon to be extended family as has been the case in previous years (hence the title of Mascot) ! We both love animals & liked to watch him in 'his' pond. The hotel was nicely presented & clean with a Guest Laundry which is always a bonus! Cookies & Milk in the evening was a nice touch. Our Room (324 Top Floor) was clean with a Comfy bed together with our standard prerequisites Air Con, Fridge, M'Wave, Coffee facilities, Free Breakfast, Internet & On-site parking. The room did have a bit of a smell which was not offensive - we just couldn't identify it. Only stayed one night - which meant we wouldn't get to see the rest of the Duck's family ! I had chatted with the lovely girl at check in/reception about the Duck & telling her that we were disappointed that we'd miss out on seeing 'the new arrivals' so it was really lovely to then receive an email from her letting us know that the Mama Duck had returned with her brood. It's these little things that one remembers. Thanks for a great stay.

My wife and I stayed here as a "jump off point" from spending the weekend up in the Sawtooths before driving home. Pros: * Good shower head pressure, and nice spa in the bathtub! * A/C worked flawlessly in holding the temp we set, and was quiet enough to sleep by! * King bed had a GREAT mattress topper that provided just the right amount of "give" to get a great night's sleep! * Full breakfast in the morning was well stocked w/ eggs, sausage, instant oatmeal packets, waffles, and the usual cereals, pastries, and juices! * Room was very insulated from the freeway traffic noise of I-84. Didn't even know we were close to the freeway exit unless you looked out the window! * Desk personnel were very friendly and efficient. The one Con: * The "Milk and Cookies" hour (8-9pm every night) ran out of milk, and the front desk was so undermanned, the lady had to hold up a customer for a minute while she dashed out to the fridge room to fill up the pitcher again. It might be good to get a second person -- at least for that hour!! :-) We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we come through Boise!!!

I didn't stay here, but only because I was looking for a dog friendly room and they told me they couldn't guarantee that when I got there 1 of their 4 dog friendly rooms would still be available because “sometimes people extend their stays”. They said they will only book out 2-4 days in advance for those rooms.

I'm one who strongly considers value in rating anything whether it's a widget or a car or a hotel room. I was disappointed in this hotel because the price I paid seemed like a good value based on the reviews, however - my experience was much different. First of all, the front desk staff were wonderful. Quick check in, very friendly, everything you'd expect. So we were off to a good start. The room: First impression was the smell. Can't really place it. Cigarette smoke maybe? Animals? Don't know but it's similar to what I've experienced at hotels that cost half as much as this one. That's the "value" part. If I was paying 75 bucks a night my response to a smelly room is meh - you get what you pay for. In this case, I paid for a room that should have at least smelled good. It was over 100 degrees in the area this day. I turned the window unit AC on and it blasted cold air immediately. That was literally comforting after a long hot day on the road. The bathroom smelled worse than the rest of the room. Not a dirty bathroom smell. Just a very old worn down cheap hotel smell. The beds: UGH! Bouncy squeaky spring mattress AND foundation that were not close to comfortable. The toilet was stopped up and almost overflowed twice. Overall the room looked nice enough but again - the quality was so far below expectations at this price point. Anyway - disappointed by the lack of value and the overstated reviews I depend on when travelling. It's seemingly safe, overall generally clean and well kept at least visually. Just not place I would recommend or would come back to.

So it is a clean place so thats good but the beds were very hard so if you like that then you'll be fine otherwise you'll sleep poorly as I did. And the breakfast to put it bluntly sucked! Was not impressed for how much they charge;the only decent item was the store bought choclate muffins they offered. The eggs texture was odd,the waffles were the oddest I'd ever had at a hotel,I mean you know its not homemade but they should be fluffy and I'm not sure if the batter isn't a good brand or was old but it was a weird mushy texture. And the biscuits and gravy weren't good either,bland. I personally think hotels but especially this one need to step up their breakfasts and get higher quality ingredients and more real ingredients rather than just mixes.

Stayed here for 4 nights on vacation in Idaho. Overall, it was a great experience! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel and our room were impeccably clean and the location was great. The breakfast included a nice variety and was delicious. Our stay was very comfortable and I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This Best Western Hotel allowed pets and was just beautiful and very clean. The grounds were very well maintained, the rooms we stayed in was immaculate and very clean. Their breakfast was very good and the eating area was also very clean. It was just off the highway and very close to a good shopping area. If you're most people you want reliable WIFI - and this hotel had a solid connection. Overall, this was one of the best hotels my wife and I stayed in and we would highly reccommend it.

We stayed here for two nights, on our way to and back from Utah. Nice hotel, the only negative would be the noise from the adjacent freeway. Breakfast is decent, clerks are friendly. There is an indoor pool which would be nice in the winter.

Nice appearing, clean hotel, kind of in the boonies but accessible with a couple food options near by. We had a ground level room that was so doused in a very offensive, strong air freshener. It was like strawberry-meets-floral-meets-alcohol-meets-dirty-feet. It immediately made us feel almost sick! So, I opened the window, and there is a maintenance guy spraying weed killer right outside the window. Holy no. So, breathing the air freshener was the option. Couldn't change rooms since the hotel was booked up. We endured and awoke with sinus issues galore. Whatever. Fine hotel if you don't have chemical sensitivities.

This hotel is a pretty good hotel overall. Check in was quick and friendly, room was clean, and location to I-84 was perfect. You can tell they've updated the hotel and in some areas you can see where they need to focus on more updates like the carpet in the halls and stairwell, plus the elevator takes forever so you may as well take the stairs. We all agreed the beds were hard so we didn't end up sleeping great but it's also a matter of preference. They have the typical Best Western breakfast available in the lobby each morning and also do milk and cookies from 8-9 pm which my kids enjoyed. My BIGGEST complaint is how hard it is to find the hotel upon your first arrival. My GPS was almost sending us on a wild goose chase finding it. We decided to use the directions provided in our confirmation email but even then, Hospitality Lane is a little side street next to a Jack in the Box that is easily missed. Once you turn down the little road, you see it tucked back there. I really believe they need to put a Best Western sign out on Federal Way since it lists that as its at address and not Hospitality Lane. Also, when you walk into where the pool is, it is extremely hot in there. My glasses fogged up upon entering and my daughter and I had a hard time breathing in there. Maybe better ventilation would be helpful? Overall, we'd definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel whenever we have visited our family in Boise. It is a 9-minute drive to our daughter's house and perfectly serves our needs when we go there. Each time our room has been very comfortable (great mattress) and clean, and we have appreciated having the sink outside of the bathroom. Breakfast is always excellent--although we don't eat meat, we have plenty to eat, including yogurt, a variety of cereals, potatoes and eggs. Last week they started to include freshly cut fruits like watermelon and other melon chunks, strawberries, and sliced oranges. Newspapers were available every day. The small pool (with hot tub) was the perfect place to spend the day with family members; the kids loved it. We have very much appreciated how attentive and helpful the staff are--especially Brooke, the general manager, who does everything she can to help make our visit enjoyable. We look forward to our next visit there in a few months.

Boise was our first stop on the way to Phoenix from Olympia with our small dog. The room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and while we didn't use the pool area, it looked very clean. they only have a few pet friendly rooms but the room we stayed in was awesome, the staff was great with Max and they had a great area to walk your dog. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Phoenix.

The hotel has been remodeled and is conveniently located to a nearby grocery store, restaurants and major roads. However the beds are very hard and the linens are stiff and scratchy. The rooms still have the single wall a/c units. The girl at the front desk during evening check in was less than friendly on the few encounters that we had with her. We have stayed at other less updated best westerns that had comfortable beds and a welcoming attitude, so this one is a disappointment.

The new look of the Best Western is great! The rooms are spacious and the location of the hotel is great. Some of the staff was unfriendly/unhelpful, but some were kind. The beds weren't soft, but the new renovations make the hotel look very good!

This was our second time staying at the Best Western Northwest Lodge in Boise. We were again very pleased. The staff is terrific!! The room was large, attractive, and well maintained. The breakfast was very good, both hot & cold foods. The location was very good for us & not far from the Airport. We very much recommend this Hotel!!

We really enjoyed our stay at BW and will be returning for another relaxin experience. We enjoyed the cookies & milk time, hot tube, swimming pool and the breakfast was awesome! If you are looking for a quick get away this is one of the best Motels in Boise.

The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast bar is excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful both when I checked in and when I left. Might look at some maintenance, there were some chips taken out of the woodwork in a couple places in my room. Otherwise, very clean, pleasant.

it was a decent room - large, clean and comfy. beds a bit squishy, if you like that. No ice water for guests (it was out for quite a while). that is such a little thing that makes a difference. Good walking, with sidewalks, etc.

During our stay the air conditioner failed. We called the front desk and two maintenance men showed up to assess.problem. Within 20 minutes a new unit was installed!!! This is our second stay here and we find the staff very friendly and helpful. Highly Recommend.

Very clean hotel with great customer service. breakfast selection was awesome. The beds were so comfortable which is not normal for hotel beds. The only hard part was finding the hotel. it is set back a little ways off the road and didn't have a big sign.

Nice clean hotel. Breakfast was fine both days. Front end staff are good and friendly. I was hesitant to make a reservation on the first night as I was undecided about whether I would be in town for two nights. The staff helped me out and it all worked out well. Wifi and TV work well.

We only had a 1 night stay, but were very happy with our stay. Great location and good breakfast. Although we did not get a chance to use the indoor pool and hot tub, it looked very inviting and clean. We normally stay at another BW close to this location, but will choose to stay at this one again next time traveling through the area.

Traveling for business is not always the greatest thing in the world but the staff here makes you feel like this hotel is a second home. Very personable and professional, they go above and beyond each and every time! One of the best complimentary breakfasts there is. The location is perfect for those flying into the Boise area and very close to downtown and ohter Idaho ammenities.

Cinthia was such a pleasure at check in. The lobby, elevator, parking lot- everything was spotless. Rooms are very large and your television remote control has a cover and is marked "fresh remote". Brooke was wonderfully delightful at check out. How refreshing it is to have all staff on the same page; working towards the same goal, ensuring guest satisfaction and cleanliness. Housekeeping staff was very quiet in the morning, not making extra noise to rise early check outs, which is much appreciated. No complaints! Very clean, friendly and professional staff. My husband and I visit Boise often because our daughter and her family live there. We always stay at this hotel. First of all, the rates are competitive, and we are often given discounts when we stay for several days. We love the breakfast there and are especially impressed with the attendant, Lulu, who is totally on top of replenishing the food when the supply dwindles. The offerings are plentiful, and we always head out for our day's activity very satisfied with what we have eaten. We never have time to take advantage of the pool, the hot tub, and the exercise room, but it is nice to know that they are there should we need them. The rooms are clean and quiet--we have never heard any sound from outside of them. The front desk attendants are friendly and helpful--especially Brooke, the manager. We did have a problem with our room, and the room across the hall was quickly cleaned so that we could move in there with minimal fanfare. We look forward to staying at this Best Western again.

1st time staying at this BW. Appearance is good, everything clean. Appears that they may have just remodeled. My complaint was the mattresses were as hard as a rock. Tossed and turned all night as I was uncomfortable. Did talk to the front desk on check out and she confirmed to me that she got plenty of complaints about the mattresses but that this coming Summer they expected to replace all of the mattresses. Otherwise the place is nice. I will confirm new mattresses before I book again

My daughter and I recently stayed here while checking out Boise State. The hotel was close to the airport and the university. The staff was very friendly, and our room was comfortable. We didn't have any of the free breakfast as we had to get up early and just weren't hungry, but there was a decent selection. We would stay here again!

This hotel is absolutely awful. Besides the fact that the beds are rock hard, the customer service is absolutely terrible. They accused my husband and I of smoking in a non smoking room because we politely didn't litter our cigarette butts on their property. Because we did this, it bit us in the butt and the housekeeper lied that the room smelled "strongly" of smoke when there is no way possible it would have. We did not smoke in this room. They charged us $250 to remove the garbage bag that had our butts in it. The Customer Care line is a joke and won't help. The front desk manager is worthless and the GM is very rude and basically told me she would rather we littered on the property than throw the butts away in a garbage can in the room because there is no garbage receptacle at the exits we went out. (Which I wouldn't know if I smoke in my room, video footage would also show us going outside to smoke as well.) I worked for a very nice and very busy hotel for 10 years w/100% reviews for my customer service and never once would I have ever dreamed of treating my guests the way I have been treated. We have been accused of smoking with my 8 year old daughter in the room with us. DO NOT STAY HERE!! ...... THEY WILL ALSO RESPOND TO THIS WITH A VERY CONDESCENDING EMAIL AND CALL ME A LIAR IN A ROUND ABOUT WAY.

My wife, 8-year-old daughter and I stayed this past weekend for my wife's birthday. After checking out we were falsely charged $250 for a smoking fee, when we did in fact NOT smoke in this room. We are smokers, but we don't even smoke in our home, or our car. We would never smoke in a hotel room with our 8-year-old daughter staying in there. We went outside each time we smoked, not every exit has a trash or cigarette receptacle, so we respectfully put our butts out and then threw them away in the trash in our room. Because they found the butts in the garbage they felt they had the right to charge us $250 and ruin my wife's birthday weekend because of it. They were unreceptive to reversing the charge. No one answers the phone when you call the front desk, my wife tried 4 times before she got a hold of someone. The Front Desk Manager was worthless and told her she had to speak to the General Manager. The General Manager was unreasonable and would not reverse the charge. This is horrible customer service; these managers are WRETCHED people. We will never stay here again and will make sure we tell everyone we know about our experience, starting with every review site we can find.

We were accused of "smoking in our room" and charge to $250. Yes we are smokers but we also had our eight-year-old daughter with us. We would NEVER EVER subject her to that. We don't smoke in our home, we don't smoke in our car why would we smoke in a hotel room? Every time we went to smoke we went outside one of the exits. Most of the exits do not have cigarette receptacles ( besides the main entry..... which we wouldn't know if we smoked in our room)..... so being respectful and not wanting to litter on the property we put our cigarette butts out and then put them in our pockets and disposed of them in the hotel room like a respectful smoker should do. I tried calling the hotel three times after the charge came through and I received an email showing me they had charged me. All three times there was no answer so I called the main corporate customer service line... they couldn't help me but they started a "case" for me and told me I had to speak with the manager who would be in at 3pm. I was told she would give me a call as soon as she got in. I waited till 4pm and then I had called her. I was told she couldn't do anything about the charge and I had to speak with the General Manager who would be in the next day. The next day came and went no call. There is no sense of urgency from this hotel to help me. No one seems to care that they FALSELY charged $250 of my hard earned money and ruined my birthday weekend because of it. I will tell everyone I know about my experience and will never recommend this hotel to anyone. This is absolutely poor customer service and I work in the customer service industry.  I worked for a very large and very busy Hotel for 10 years with 100% reviews,  this is not the way you handle/treat your guests.  something could absolutely have been done about this that day.

Nice hotel. A little out of the way, but easy to get to and was quiet. right off the freeway. Clean and service was good. Breakfast bar had some hot items (eggs, sausage links, potatoes, pacakes and waffles) along with cereal, yogurt. Our room had microwave and fridge and there is wireless internet. Would stay there again.

I loved the Lodge feel and the breakfast. Best Western is always a great place to stay for us. We look for Best Western any time we are heading out for vacation or business. It's just a great place to stay.

We stay here about once a year when on our way to Sun Valley, and are always glad we did. From when we make our reservation, to the front desk personnel, to our housekeepers, and breakfast staff, everyone is warm, helpful, and make you feel welcome. Our rooms are clean, well supplied, and we appreciate being on the first floor so it's easy to take dogs out when needed. We crate dogs at night, and the rooms are spacious enough for us to do that. In the evening there are chocolate chip cookies in lobby, and in the morning the breakfast buffet is wide ranging and generous so it's simple to find something to match our preferences. There is also an indoor pool, which would be fun for families with kids. The location, just off I-84, in a quiet spot, is a plus, and if needed there is an Albertsons and assorted restaurants not far away. We also like the lodge décor, fitting in this part of the country and a nice change from the norm in this era of minimalist, often colorless decorating. Congrats to all involved in making this a nice home away, see you next time we are in the area!

The breakfast was amazing, and the appearance of the lobby was beautiful and decorated for Christmas. It was close to the freeway and not too far away from restaurants or fun stuff to do. I will def stay here again

We stayed at this Boise Best Western hotel on our way through to Phoenix AZ. We were very satisfied with our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this location although we were disappointed with slow internet service and a rather sparse breakfast offering. We often stay with Best Western hotels because most offer a hearty hot breakfast, here though not so much. We did enjoy coffee, scrambled eggs & sausage but other than yogurt and waffles that was it. Breakfast was ok but not up to standards set at other Best Western hotels.

Clean comfortable place to stay. Our favorite in Boise so far. Very friendly, helpful staff. Something a little different at breakfast each morning. The usual Best Western quality beds and pillows for a good nights sleep.

We have stayed here a number of times, but this trip we did notice the room needed to be updated a bit. The carpets in the halls are showing wear as well as the tile floor in the elevator. Not sure what was going on with the chicken gravy for the biscuits at breakfast, a country sausage gravy would be a much better choice. All in all, a decent stay.

My second nights stop on road trip from ABQ to OR coast. Pleasant enough room, but showing some wear and tear. Helpful staff, good parking , indoor pool. BW usual breakfast items in good sized dining area.

Though we did enjoy the size of the room, and the layout (we had a suite with a king bed and two queens), the property felt a bit worn, and bits here and there were broken (the switch for the bathroom heat lamp, for example) -- perhaps the current remodeling is meant to address this. The breakfast was nice, and varied, though just a bit lacking in some areas compared to what we've become accustomed to recently. On the other hand, it did include hot items, which was nice. Finally, we enjoyed the small pool, though the bottom was so rough that I got a number of abrasions on my feet.

We were planning to stay in Scottsdale, but ran out of time to get there. We called this Best Western and they were more than willing to welcome us. They treated us very well and provided a good room and internet connection.

This is a fabulous hotel with great amenities and an excellent location. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast is also varied with a lot of options.

Great hotel with friendly staff. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Very clean and large rooms. Good hot breakfast. Great workout room and has a heated pool and a spa. Has all the comforts in your room you would expect.

Very nice motel to stay. It is close to interstate. Rooms have been remodeled and are very nice. Selection for breakfast was above average. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Would recommend this motel tp anyone. Has indoor pool and hot tub.

We ended up bringing our dog with us on our trip. The hotel is very nice, the people at the front desk were nice and helpful. A good size room, free breakfast, no complaints. They also had plenty of grass around the hotel where you could take your dog.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We find the rooms comfortable, quiet and staff very helpful and friendly. The location is great for easy access to restaurants, freeway and shopping. We would definitely stay here again when we are in this area.

The Northwest Lodge was in a convenient location for visiting Boise. The hotel is very clean and comfortable even though some remodeling was being done. The staff was helpful and friendly. I stayed here for 5 unfortunate days. While the rooms were acceptable, the employees were not! They were inattentive and rude. A few days after my trip I noticed a $500 charge from the hotel that shouldn't have been there, I called and they said to call back tomorrow when the manager was there because they couldn't help me... I did. The next day a new employee picked up, and I stated that I was charged and needed the refund. She saw the error and supposedly refunded me... the next day I see I was charged again!! Now $1000 in I ask to speak with the manager, a lady picked up rude as heck stating she can't talk to me right now and she'll call me in a few hours... I wait... nothing.. I call back 5 hours later and the manager picks up stating she was just about to call me... she disputes that I was charged the second time and tells me she can't do anything about my first charge besides the refund in two days.. then proceeds to tell me I'm wrong about the second charge.. and to call her back if it "pops" up. It did.. To sum it up, the management and staff in unprofessional, lazy and just plane rude... don't waste your money on this hotel, there are far better options for your money in the area. Ps. I'm still waiting for the management to call me back for the second time.

This hotel is remodeling. If you have sensitivities to new carpet, paint, and other chemicals, you may want to call before you book a room. The bed in room 120 was a cheap innerspring that was VERY uncomfortable. Worse than our RV mattress. A 4" memory mattress topper wouldn't have saved that mattress. Faucet was the wrong kind for the type of sink bowl they had. It caused us shorties to lean way over the sink and hit our hands on the bowl while washing. Plus it leaked all over the counter. Heater/Air conditioner smelled like dirty and wet dog when you turned it on. Didn't seem to work very well.

The hotel is well maintained and appears to have been upgraded. Located close to the Hwy and easy to get to. Rooms are very quite and roomy. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Nice selection of breakfast items.

We found bed bugs in the bed and nothing could be done to fix it. This was totally unacceptable but we were stuck. The price was higher than it should have been and for the money I will stay at theach competition next time

I would have given this property a higher rating except for the staff. Elevator was broken and we were put on the third floor. I asked if there was a room on a lower floor and was told no. I later found out it was because we had a suite. Then the fire alarms went off in the middle of the night due to a mechanical problem. No communication from the staff about what was going on and lots of noise and confusion. Other than that the property is nice. Rooms are well appointed and beds were comfortable.

The pictures on the internet are a teaser. To actually stay and enjoy the Woodsy hotel experience is unique. In the evening lobby awaited cookies, coffee, or milk. The uninterrupted music selection in the dining room is AWESOME to listen to on the BOSE system. Great to meet with hotel guest(s) and/or drink a glass of wine to relax. The Jacuzzi, pool, & gym area is great. The food & drinks were outstanding to choose from & replenished timely. The room was very clean. The bed smelled fresh everyday & the pillows were extremely comfortable. The shower soap/ shampoo amenities in the shower were convenient to use. My only complaint was the room had too much furniture for the stay. Needed more room to place extra small luggage bags. Overall, I recommend BW Northwest Lodge for the great rates, awesome staff & superb hospitality.....Good Job Best Western Northwest Lodge!

We were on our way from Oregon to Salt Lake City and stopped for the night. It was a clean comfortable hotel with a western log cabin decor. Very comfortable. Only problem was, no restaurant nearby. Conveniently off the interstate.

located southeast of the city past the airport and next to the Micron tech campus and right on Highway 21 to Stanley and the Sawtooth Mountains. nice rooms with every amenity, giant screen TV, work desk and exec chair, fast WiFi, mini-fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, coffeemaker etc. VERY comfy bed with nice linen. everything very clean including bathroom and linen. reasonably priced too.

We began and ended our Idaho tour at this hotel. Front desk was friendly, room was spacious and clean, bed was very good. We have not eaten breakfast. WiFi and parking were free. Lobby was nice. No restaurants near the hotel, we drove a car. Reservation were made several months in advance directly at hotel website, and we got a bargain deal. Although the hotel is 4-5 miles away from Boise airport, on the city south-east outskirts, it offers a free shuttle provided by Boise Shuttle, a free external service. Riding from the hotel to the airport takes about 5-10 minutes, however it requires reservation several hours in advance and even then, the bus may arrive late by 15 minutes. Shuttle bus drivers were friendly.

quiet and comfortable stay. very good breakfast with eggs, waffles and typical continental fare. Beds a bit soft for my taste. Poor signage on street to locate the entrance. Plenty of parking and a few nearby restaurants

Nice property, friendly staff, excellent room. Easy to find and get to. Good parking. On the eastern edge of Bosie so really easy to head out in the morning. Also easy to get to shopping and restaurants. The staff made sure all my request were met and had great information about the area. We had reservations for our return trip and front desk went ahead and assigned rooms so could be located where we wished.

Room was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Good lighting (a rarity nowadays). Plenty of horizontal surfaces to put things on. Plenty of outlets for charging things Now the "details". Bath small, with a door that really got in the way. Shower could not be adjusted below chest level on a 6 foot guy, me. Would hit a shorter woman square in the face even if you stood in the back of the tub. Sleep sofa and one shakey office chair was the only seating for watching tv. The chair mat by the desk was cracked and broken and a hazard to bare feet. Decent breakfast but had to clean table being sitting. A little slow there.

Best Western was quiet and easily to find....right off of the freeway. Check in and out was great and they had all of my information since I stay there offer. The rooms are clean, big and the internet is free. They serve a hot breakfast with eggs and meat every morning.

We loved the NW Best Western. New, clean and excellent, friendly and very helpful staff. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. The bed was the best of this trip so far - and we have seven days left! Plus, I get air miles when staying at BW! Love that!

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western Hotel. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was well maintained and the breakfast was great. Unfortunately, because of a stay in the Kiva Inn, Best Western we will not be staying at any Best Western Hotels anymore.

Hard bed, hard pillows, bad food and the carpet was sticky on the the feel.. not a good experience The staff was barely ok. The eggs were gross, the gravy was dried out, the only thing good was the waffles. The people on the phone when making the reservation were rude. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.

We stay on this hotel on the way yellow stone one night. Location is good. Breafast serving hot meal good. Our family enjoyed. Front counter service was excellent. I will recomsnd friend and realatives.

Really helpful staff at this location. The room was clean and comfortable room. The free breakfast was great-scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, breads, oatmeal, cereal, etc. It was convenient to the highway and several restaurants and the Outlets.

We were in town for both pleasure and business. Our stay was very comfortable, staff was helpful and professional. We will be back. The breakfast was hot, several items to choose from and the grounds were clean and kept up.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights to watch the solar eclipse, and we were impressed. We didn't arrive until 10:00 PM, but there was a friendly staff member ready to check us in, despite the late hour. Our room was spacious as we were given a family suite, which included three beds and a kitchen area, including a sink and fridge. Each morning we enjoyed the large hot breakfast, which included sausage, potatoes, waffles and more. There was plenty of free parking, and if you have time, the hotel has a pool and hot tub. If I were to return to Boise, I would stay here again!

We were traveling with pets and were assigned room 116 on the first floor. My only complaint was the room smelled like there had been a smoker in it, otherwise we really enjoyed this hotel. The room was clean, nice breakfast, and they offer freshly baked cookies at 8pm. The dog walk area was nice with proper disposal area.

Good place but high price. We were traveling through and it was late. I was tired and picked this hotel. They had the last room and I took it. Later, I didn't pay attention how much it was. It was pretty high. Oh well.

We have stayed here now two different times and the experience had been exceptional both times . Breakfast is filling and well presented. The pool is warm and the jaccuzi is hot!!! We will make this hotel our go to every time we are in Boise.

One night on a road trip. This was Best Western at it's best. Our room had been remodeled and was quite nice. Firm bed, nice clean sheets, soft towels - my only complaint might be too fluffy of pillows. Hot breakfast also.

We stayed here just after the solar eclipse. The service was wonderful. They were very accommodating. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. During a busy time the staff never seemed rushed but wanted to make sure our stay was relaxing.

We stayed here on the way to Colorado. It was easy access and very friendly and helpful staff. We were worried at first since it was near the airport that it might be loud, but it was absolutely fine. Good location next to store and restaurants.

Lovely breakfast room and a wonderful variety of hot and cold foods available ( waffle/pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals and toppings, toast) Well staffed and food kept fresh. 6. Loved the luggage carts. This was one of our favorite hotels on our trip to and from Yellowstone. Thank you Best West Northwest Lodge!

Super place to stay in Boise, not too far from the airport, very clean and great people who work there. It is a great option that BW accepts pets, rooms are clean and they keep it that way. I've stayed here once in the past and decided to stay here again, the staff were always helpful and simply nice people. I would recommend anyone that is in Boise to stay here.

Last minute booking at this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable but the air conditioner was way too loud. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Only stayed one night and we were too tired to take a look around. Would have had a good night's sleep but for the A/C.

Our family stayed in a family suite at this hotel. The room was perfect for the 5 of us. Location was convenient, check-in was quick, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and spacious, the breakfast had plenty of choices, and we loved the cookies and milk at night. Our only issue was that the bathroom fan and air conditioner in our room were so loud. I felt like this was maybe an older hotel that was making efforts to update its facilities.

Clean rooms, beds comfortable. Full Breakfast is great when traveling with teenagers! Pool and hot tub and exercise room nice. We have stayed here several times and will continue to use this as our Boise overnight stay when we need a place in Boise.

Very clean and friendly hotel. We liked that the location was so close to the canyon and water. There were grocery stores within walking distance. They kept the breakfast well stocked up until closing time. My kids loved the cookie and milk hour.

This is in a good location for driving thru Boise with easy on and off the highway . Rooms were quite and clean, the front desk personnel were helpful. Cookies and milk in the evening and a couple of fast food restaurants close by.

This hotel was not very clean. The carpet floors were sticky and dirty. The floor was so gross we could not take off our shoes. The door latch was damaged. The fellow on the phone when we booked said the room had outside access from the room. it did not, we had to go into the hall to go outside - with a young puppy that was more challenging than I had wanted. The bed linens were cheep and itchy to the skin. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. The beds were a little saggy. You may think from reading this review that I am a picky person. Actually, I'm pretty laid back. However, this hotel was subpar. I was not impressed.

it would be so nice if there was rooms reserved for the older folks that travel...like walk in showers ?? with out a higher price for the room.?? its very difficult for the ones of us who have arthritis and struggle to lift our legs over the tub to take a shower...Us older generation love to travel toooo and would greatly appreciate that comfort.

Faulty, unfixable A/C on one of the hottest days of the year left the room uncomfortable for sleeping. Additionally the toilet ran every 10 minutes. Neither able to be fixed because the maintenance person was not on duty until the next morning. We arrived at 5:45 for check in. Staff was pleasant but unable to do anything. We did get a small refund on our bill. Would not recommend this BW.

Perfect hotel for anyone either driving through Boise or stopping in Boise to enjoy the many activities provided there. We go to visit our sons and family who live in Boise and will always stay at this Best Western from now on. Location is a few miles outside of Boise if Boise is your destination. Lobby is compact though attractive for sitting with other guests or having breakfast. Desk staff is friendly and helpful. Limited restaurants (fast food primarily) and other amenities nearby though sandwich and pizza place in strip mall northeast of location has excellent food and good service (Mancini's maybe). Hotel is restful and clean if you're traveling through and looking for some respite from the challenges of traveling. Pool is small though attractive and water is kept warm. Hot tub had an overabundance of chlorine which deters us from using due to throat and eye irritation.

We recently stayed in Boise, and really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western there. We were able to get a really large room (8 persons) so we could all share a room, which the kids loved. The woman who checked us in must really love her job, as she was a so positive and helpful. She found my daughters missing iPhone cable almost before we knew it was lost, she recommended a really good restaurant to us downtown, and she helped with good advice on routes later on in our trip. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome!!!

Large pee stained sheets. Boiling hot pool and hot tub. Even the air in the pool room was way hot. Also, no towels available, and floors wet by pool in main reception hall. We will not stay again at this hotel.

This is a clean, roadside style hotel with adequate amenities. Could use a bit more happiness among the staff that seemed kind but going through the motions. Could use a little more heart and perhaps some enlightened leadership to create some positive energy in the business. The potential is there to have it be a good experience but it falls short.

We had some Best Western gift cards to use while traveling to Seattle. Clean hotel with clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast is a must for us and this offered the expected menu. We would stay again.

This was our first time at this property. We will definitely be staying here every time Boise is on our path. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little hard for me but my wife slept just fine. The breakfast was very well laid out and the food was great.

We stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed our stay. We had an issues with the a/c, it did not cool the room quite as much as we liked (wanted 68 was 71). We did not have the problem on our previous stay, so we reported that issue on check out

OK. very good, the place was old but very well keep up and looked great. The room was good, clean and spacious, the bathroom was very nice, with walk in shower. I would prefer a bar of soap as the soap on the wall wasn't always with me, good shower though. The breakfast as usual was my favorite, biscuits and gravy and sausage and eggs, I will stay a customer as long as BW serves them, you quit I quit.

The staff was extremely helpful, especially the front desk.We arrived a little before check-in, and my son who is a nurse, had no sleep the night before we left for Boise. They we able to let us have one of the rooms early, so he could sleep for awhile. Thank you

To begin, our overall experiences with BW had been excellent with service above and beyond. This particular BW was not the case. We had made a 2 day reservation well ahead of time because we needed a pet friendly room. After a long day on the road we arrived at 4:00 and the people checking in just before us were given our room (no fault of theirs). They were there one night, no pet. Very disappointing because the staff could have made the correction within seconds yet they chose not to. Instead they moved us into a non-pet room upstairs, which overlooked the air conditioning and other mechanical units, without telling the other check-in/out staff at the counter. When we came in with our small dog and went upstairs - the uninformed staff questioned us telling us they do not allow pets on the 2nd floor. Not a welcoming feeling as I had to explain their error. Overall room was ok although too much furniture in it. My primary concern was the unapologetic attitude of the staff at check-in and their lack of communication with the other shifts that monitor guests. To add to this, they only had 2 carts for quests to transfer their luggage and this is a large hotel. No one attempted to help us get a cart, which we needed but went without. From our perspective, they were not there to take care of their guests. We were simply revenue. Again, our experiences with BW in the past had been nothing but excellent. We hope that the Northwest BW was an exception.

This hotel is clean and quiet. It was close to the freeway and the airport-but, far quieter than the other hotels we have stayed at. The staff was helpful and kind. I would stay at this hotel again because of the comfortable bed and how quiet it was.

After a long day in the car, we arrived just before 8:00 pm. Saw the sign at check-in that cookies and milk were served between 8-9. Gave us time to bring our luggage in before grabbing this much needed snack. Room was clean and quiet. Hotel is right off interstate.

Stayed here because the outside looked nice and it was just a quick trip to Boise. Was blown away, went there as a couples retreat and stayed one night. I stay in hotels sometimes for work wish I had more business in Boise to be able to stay there again.

I usually choose Best Westerns when I'm traveling, This one was nice, Clean room, but was disappointed that the room had no hair dryer, We found out the reason when checking out was because they were in the process of switching them out for upgrades. The staff was helpful in suggesting local places for eating. We used the hot tub, Which during our visit, Was not at the normal temp, more like luke warm. For the most part, was a comfortable room.

I made a reservation to stay at this motel on June 5. Brooke, who made my reservation, was very rude and I felt the need to call back at a later date to make sure she made my reservation. When we checked in on June 5 around 8 pm the girl at the desk was rude. She must of got her training from Brooke. The bathroom in the lobby area was out of order. Red flags went up. We traveled all day and needed to relax our tired muscles in the hot tub. Could not smell chlorine in the hot tub, jets did not work, the pool was cloudy and the spa room smelled musty and moldy. Another red flag went up. When turning back the bedding, there was black hairs in the bed and my husband found bugs in the bed. That was the limit of what we could put up with. My husband went down to talk to the girl at the desk and she said there was nothing she could do. So we packed our belongings and left the motel. I told her we were leaving and not to charge my card. We have stayed at this motel many times in the past and always had a very pleasant experience. Rooms were clean, staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The spa was clean. I understand that the motel has new owners as of the last few months. With the new owners staff and upkeep of motel have declined greatly. I guess the only thing that matters to them is getting new furniture in the lobby. This was the perfect location for us to stay when coming to Boise, unfortunately we won't make that mistake again.

Filthy rooms, horrible beds, and unhelpful staff. Was not told our room was a pet-friendly room until we complained of feces on the carpet. If there had been vacancy in another hotel, we would have left. Never stay here again.

Clogged sink, noisy AC, slow TV, bent shower door, miniature pillows, smelled moldy, something mechanical outside of bathroom ran constantly and was LOUD! Made a written list and politely gave to front desk at departure. Not much of a reaction and that person seemed not-interested in any of it. This used to be a decent place to stay. Needs lots of updating and refurbishment.

Stayed just one night while visiting Boise for business. Even though this location was a little farther away then others it was definitely worth a quick drive. Hotel was clean and room was very comfortable. Staff is outstanding.

Going to Boise on I 84 it's on your right side right before you really go into downtown Boise. Down side it is 20 min before getting downtown. Clean room but does need an update, friendly hospitality.

We spent an enjoyable night at the Northwest Lodge in Boise. The toilets are crammed too close to the bathroom wall, but the room and bed were otherwise great. They had a wonderful breakfast around the large fireplace in the lobby. We will stay here again.

This is a nice looking hotel with excellent staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good. There was a good variety of food choices and the food that was supposed to be hot was, while the food that was supposed to be cold also was. The staff were some of the friendliest people we have ever met when travelling. We'll stay here again the next chance we get.

Bait and Switch!!! Made reservations almost a month ago with late check in - confirmation e-mail shows spa in the room and late check in - get here after driving all day and it is raining and they have over booked (tried to blame it on corporate) and did not save my room - but they "gave" me a upgrade - hahaha - what a joke - they only had two rooms left so their upgrade was one of the two rooms they could not rent for the night and then charged me more for the room than my reservation for a spa in the room was - next day at check out I got a copy of the receipt but when I checked it later noticed they again charged me even more than they had quoted me - pay more and get less - independently owned and operated - avoid at all cost!!! Never staying at this hotel ever again!!!

I stay at best western NW lodge couple of times a month. I love it. Staff is great helpful very kind. Very clean rooms. Nice loby 24 hours coffee. Pretty nice location (not much restaurants around) but still very nice place to stay.

Great little spot. Perfect for weekend soccer excursions. Staff was beyond friendly. Thanks for everything. We will definitely stay when soccer brings us back to the Boise Valley. Keep up the great work.

Very average road-trip stop and I expected a bit more from a Best Western. Afternoon from desk staff was helpful although had to tell us about how often Expedia made her life miserable then gave us kind of lousy info regarding travel time and directions to our dinner spot. Her recommendation and was fantastic. Room was fine but bathroom fan was crazy loud. There was some kind of periodic thumping that shook my bed and I heard a fair amount of street and hall noise. Not terrible but nothing to write how about either.

Location was only 10 minutes from the airport. It was very clean and the staff bent over backwards to help. The full breakfast every day was outstanding. Very close to one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been too.

We stay at best western most of the time because it is always a very nice room, clean and affordable. The breakfast is above average. People are friendly and helpful We had a hot tub suite and used it every night. Very comfortable! Great water pressure and nice big tv.

Reservation direct to motel quote one price billed another. When ask during checkout to correct desk person w could or would not correct and was ask to call back when manager was available. When reservations were made no mention of workout area under construction until I got my reservation confirmation

Wonderful place to stay. Out of town but close to outlets. Undergoing pool modification but not a problem unless you're swimming. Room was great! Breakfast was very complete. Shalimar was very friendly and helpful at checking.

Hotel is off the freeway, you can get to most everything from shopping to eating quickly. Near the airport and very quiet. Priced below the others that are a little closer to the airport. Not a lot of freeway noise. The hotel staff were friendly and wanted your business

This hotel has a wonderful front lobby, spread out adequate breakfast, nice rooms. The tub and toilet are in one space with no shelf or place to sit your clothing, the sink is outside that room with a very small counter. Mini fridge makes leftovers easy to store. The internet was great, the beds and pillows were wonderful. I will use express checkout at this location to avoid the nasty lady working the desk in the morning.

But for not the wonderful staff I would have given this hotel an even lower rating. The hotel is clean, breakfast is fine, parking great, and you can access most of Boise from I-84 in minutes. The problem is the plethora of unaware door slammers. The doors are heavy and slam all hours of the night and day. I feel staff could inform guests of the room door slamming, especially after 22:00, and remind late check-ins there are other guests sleeping. If you are expecting a nice, quiet, restful sleep, this is NOT the place!

Stayed here for two nights and hotel was clean and very nice.The lobby folks were phenomenal and kitchen staff equally nice and very helpful. It's away from everything but that's alright, only 10 minutes from the airport, quiet out there. Beds very very comfy and bedrooms were clean. I will stay here again when I am back in Boise.

Made quick trip to Boise to visit friends. Hotel was affordable & conveniently located. Only down side we had a broken lamp, which hotel staff couldn't fix but offered another service instead. (Hey these things happen.) staff had to reissue keys because keys were demagnetizes theroughnout the day. Overall nice place to stay & at good peice

The BW Northwest Lodge is a very pleasant hotel. We stayed for 4 nights in early November. The front desk stay were very accommodating and helpful in many ways. The breakfast is about the same was it is at other Best Westerns we have visited. The housekeeping left a little to be desired, but the front desk was very attentive to our complaints. The beds were comfortable, though a little soft for our tastes. The them is rustic and quite appealing.

The Northwest Lodge, on the eastern boundaries of Boise, is a very nice hotel, especially for a Best Western. The exterior is rustic, and that same theme continues into the lobby. The two times that I have stayed there, the rooms have been very clean and the beds comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful in finding me a nice restaurant, and overall very pleasant. While summer rates are higher, I was just looking as I have to go to Boise again, and the room rates (for one person) were in the low $80's/night, plus tax--don't let that rate fool you, because in the summer the rates were $120-$140 range, so $80-85/night off-season is a bargain for a place this nice. If you are headed to Boise, and want a nice, clean room at a newer hotel, I would encourage you to check out the Northwest Lodge!

This Best Western is outstanding. I enjoyed the fact that the pool/jacuzzi and gym (albeit small) are open 24 hours. Want a swim @ 02:00 ... No problem. The breakfast served here also was a cut above. Better than most "free breakfast". Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good value. I'll stay here again.

We were looking for a hotel on the east side of Boise so we could continue our journey early the next day and this Best Western fit the bill. It was clean, had a friendly, helpful staff. The early opening of the breakfast area is nice for travelers who want to get an early start on the road.

This place is Awesome!!!! We passed it on the way in and ended up coming back to it. Great staff - clean property. Room layout is good bathroom a bit small but clean up to date and functional. Food / beverage and grocery in walking distance. The hotel sells adult beverages on site. Great lodge atmosphere with lots of truck parking

The rooms and the hotel and very nice. We were concerned that it might be noisy because of the AFB, but we never heard any planes. We did drive past the hotel because the signage is not very good on the road we used to approach it. It is behind the Jack in the Box restaurant. The breakfast was good--better than the average BW fare. There is an elevator for the upper floors. Quiet even though the hotel was quite full.

Very clean, nice looking, very good service, excellent continental breakfast. My only complaint was that the decaf coffee was not changed and kept fresh, it was left in the serving thermos for over 24 hours so I was disappointed when I went to have coffee. I have no other complaints and would definitely stay there again. It is in a great location. The staff were all very helpful and courteous.

I was looking for a place to stay a little closer to downtown, but balancing price and location, we settled for the Best Western Northwestern. The advantage to being close to downtown is not having to hassle with parking, although often there is an added charge for that …. In the end, it worked out anyways because we ended up at a great mcrobrewery which we would have otherwise missed. The Northwestern is really well decorated and if you don't look outside, you'd think you were in a lodge somewhere ! There is a cute fish pond out front (they say you can even feed the fish !). The chair rails in all the hallways, which look to be lodgepole pine – very lodgey ! The lobby also hosts hot beverages all day and at 8pm – milk and cookies ! Although there is no bar, the front desk does have beer and wine available for purchase. The room is comfortable with two queen sized beds and minifridge and coffee machine. I can't remember if there is a microwave, but there is one available in the breakfast area, along with plates and cutlery. Breakfast was the usual filling spread – eggs scrambled/hard boiled; sausages; diced potatoes; pastries; cereals/oatmeal; waffles; yogurt/toppings; apples/bananas/oranges and all of the condiments and hot beverages. Very nice hotel with a nice ambience.

Great lodge decor with a two sided fireplace in the lobby and comfortable couches to relax in. Just like a home away from home! Clean and updated slate flooring throughout. Breakfast bar includes scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes,,,nice selection of coffees always ready. We will go back and stay when visiting Boise. Not far from airport, but a much better location for extended stays.

Northwest Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. It's quiet, clean and you get good service. The location is ideal. Easy to get to and close to the freeway. My husband is disabled and they always give us a room that we request. The staff is top notch.

I have been staying at this hotel for a number of years and I am consistently impressed with the helpful staff and overall quality. I stay at many other hotels and this is one of my favorites. It is very convenient for my work in the area and a pretty easy drive to downtown or area restaurants.

We stayed for two nights. Upon arriving it took a long time to check in as the hotel was understaffed. The desk agent was bright and knowledgeable and helpful. My partner could not get into her room even after three sets of rekeying the card. ended u giving her a second floor room. My 1st ADA room; the bathroom was locked and the housekeeper came in with a flat screwdriver to get it open. (??) didn't work. Second ADA room wreaked of cigarette smoke in a non smoking room. 3rd room. The doors do not close well. Make sure you pull it hard and that it is locked when going in and out. Be sure to use deadbolt and latch over when inside the room. Jets in both the tub and the pool were broken so either over jetted or under-jetted. Breakfast was blah yet better than no breakfast. No spoons the second day.

We chose B.W. Northwest Lodge while on a vacation stop at Boise. This hotel is beautiful inside looking like a lodge you would find up in a forest not in town. The rooms and hotel were spotless and the rooms spacious. Using B.W. pts for our stay we were upgraded to a spa room which was great after a day of driving and doing the tourist thing in Boise. Our only complaint is that unless you want a fast food burger you have to drive to get restaurant food in which there are none close by. Also Boise is quite a ways from this location. I booked this hotel because it seemed like a good value. It was the most economic three-star hotel in the Boise area. After staying there, I understand why. The exterior lodge appearance is the most attractive feature about this hotel. The interior decor is tired and dated. The room and the hotel overall was clean, but that's the extent of the positive qualities. Our bed was sagging and uncomfortable. The breakfast was uninspired and limited, not at all up to par for a supposed three-star hotel. The hotel is close to the airport, but it's about a 20-minute drive from downtown Boise. My wife and I stayed at a 2.5-star hotel later in our trip that was superior in every aspect to this hotel. Overall, this hotel was a poor value, and I would recommend passing on the Northwest Lodge and choosing another hotel.

Good location. Reasonable place to stay if you have to spend a night in Town. Breakfast limited choice. The town itself is also good and has a few places to go around and shop. The town has quite a few good places to eat.

Overcharged for the room. Was told manager would call me and resolve this but have not heard back from anyone. Very disappointed in their level of customer service. Be aware of everything before you commit to staying here. Breakfast was just o.k.

Very nice staff. Printed out driving directions for us! Pillows were too fat but no big deal! We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but had a very nice stay. Would have like fresh fruit for breakfast but the coffee was delicious! Parking was a little tight when we got back to the room fairly late.

How's the family we had five separate rooms. Each room was well-appointed clean and exactly what we wanted. The staff was helpful in every way. For us the location was ideal. As for breakfast, well it was breakfast. Coffee was good.

This hotel is clean, in good repair and has good amenities. Most of the time the staff is friendly and very helpful. I had booked this hotel for just 1 night. Since we made changes in our trip we arrived a day early and wanted to stay for an extra night. Not any problem, we got the room an extra night at the same rate I booked it for. Unfortunately the toilet in our bathroom didn't flush. So after a couple of hours, we had to move to another room. I don't know if the hotel was fully booked, but we got a room in a family suite including a hot-tub. Wow.... The breakfast room in front of the frontdesk, not so big, so crowded in the morning. You have to be lucky to find your seat. And although the interieur looked old and dated it was a nice place to be. Friendly staff and great service.

This place was decorated just as a Lodge Should be decorated. Beautiful decor. The staff so helpful and they had cookie and milk at night. Our room was clean and again had an old lodge look. Indoor hot tub and pool. Really nothing but good things to say about this place

Travelled from Boston to Boise in 5 days. This was hotel was the best stay of all our stops 3 days of stay and it was super! Clean rooms. Great breakfast ! The lobby was a good place to sit and eat. Super coffee! Staff were exceptionally friendly Easy access off highway 84 . Highly recommend !

This place was great, starting with the front desk guy (Colton). He was very nice and friendly. Our room was nice and clean, the pool was nice and warm, but the topper for me was the milk and cookies served between 8-9 pm. After a long day at the Boise Zoo, it was nice to come back to a tasty treat. Also, the breakfast was pretty good too. It was your typical breakfast, but it was kept up well and had potatoes, which you don't typically see. Not to mention, the waffle iron stamps a heart in your waffle. Super cute. Over all it was a great hotel. Nothing creepy or weird here. I would stay here again and again.

This place is awesome! When we arrived we were greeted by Colton, he was friendly and quick to check us in. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was warm and only 3-4ft deep, perfect for families with little kids. Breakfast was satisfying. Milk and cookie was definitely the highlight for our family, delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel, it's the only place we will be staying while in pass through Boise. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth it!

I loved the unique look and feel of this Best Western lodge. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find the lodge was much better than we expected. The hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the milk and cookies they had in the evening in the lobby. The pool is quite small, but is open 24 hours- which is nice for traveling families. We stayed one night as we were passing through town. We will book here again on our way back through. Best Western has a good rewards program too that you can sign up for on their website.

I stayed here for about a week on business. It's a very average hotel, no-frills but no real problems either. I had a king room facing the freeway which made opening the window at night too noisy. It was clean and convenient for business with a desk and plenty of plug-ins for electronics. The room had a mini fridge and should have had a microwave but it did not - that is my only complaint really. Breakfast in the morning is adequate - typical hotel buffet breakfast but a wide variety and the buffet was kept clean. Very busy though, I seldom could find a table to sit at. The pool is shallow but nice and warm and is available 24 hrs. I really didn't have much interaction with the staff because I had no problems. Nicely decorated and the room had a great TV.

We chose this hotel for location near the freeway and a tiny bit out of Boise, and the fact we could get a family room for our group of five. The family room was great - large, with three real beds and two separate areas of sink and counter The décor of the public areas is particularly well done, and the breakfast was very good.. We will return.

One night without fanfare. The top floor room was quiet, the bedding comfortable, plenty of hot water and a good breakfast with hot and cold items. Freeway access was easy on and off and check in checkout was straight forward. The internet was somewhat intermittent, working fine one minute then not. The bathroom lacked Kleenex too.

Good hotel with spacious room a little noisy as we like to have the window open and the air conditioners are quite loud- but traffic dies down by the average adult bed time so we didn't find this an issue. Best westerns don't seem to have Insite restaurants but there are good services very close. We have found the best western hotels good value and nice friendly service. Traveling on motor bikes and they let you park under cover at the entrance to the hotels so they can keep an eye on the bikes.

for a one night stay this was a safe place though not right next to airport as I thought it wasn't far but nothing to eat around this hotel! The front office Emily was wonderful! Though the printer didn't work at the desk she printed it on her printer.

After a 2 week vacation on the road we made this our last stop. While it was difficult to locate, we found it very worth it. Found the understaffed employees to be exceptional. We had 2 minor issues with a TV and room lock. They corrected those issues quickley. The roam was clean and comfortable. For a roadside stop, it was by far the best in many years of travel. The exterior is very nice & the location is convenient to the highway, grocery store & a small factory outlet center. However the interior decor' feels outdated, the hallways narrow & dark, and the rooms were just average. The hot breakfast items were in fact lukewarm and the scrambled eggs very watery. We left most of that and settled on cereal & pastry - not my usual choice to start the day. I had a concern at check-in which a very polite & professional young man at the desk was not able to address & therefore handed the matter over to his supervisor. She was curt, bordering on rude, unfriendly & dismissive of my concerns.

I made the reservation through Booking.com and got a very competitive price. The desk person was very warm and friendly, and got me checked in quickly. The room was a fairly standard double queen. It was clean, but the bed mattresses seemed past their prime and ready for replacement. The included breakfast was pretty standard; nothing special, but we had no complaints. As the name suggests, the hotel is decorated in a lodge theme, which in some places looks a little tired and ready for a freshening. Overall, it was a positive experience.

It is on the south end of Boise with only a couple fast food restaurants in the area. But, a nice location to get on and off the interstate quickly. Pool was a good temperature, but it was tiny with the four other families using it. The hot tub was nice (pull out the red button for the jets). Breakfast was very good, and my daughter got to feed the fish. Only real disappointment was looking up in the bathroom and seeing mildew on the ceiling.

We choose Northwest Lodge when we visit Boise because it is our favorite Best Western Lodging. The personnel is always very helpful and accommodating. We also feel that Tori is the BEST GM we have met.

From the minute we arrived, we were blessed with the most friendly, helpful staff. We came in early and our room wasn't ready yet but Cristal offered to keep our luggage for us in a conference room so we wouldn't have to keep it in the back of our truck while sightseeing. Justin checked us in upon our return from our tour of beautiful Boise, and he was as friendly and helpful as Cristal. I love the lodge look to the lobby and rooms. The lobby, with it's logs, overstuffed suede couches and stone fireplace just invites you to hang out. They had cookies at 8pm and coffee available as well. The rooms are just as nice and I love that they have interior entrances. We had a family suite with 2 queens and a king bed. It was huge and so nice! They have an awesome indoor pool and spa and it is open 24 hours! Their breakfast was the best hotel breakfast of our whole 16 day trip. Lots of choices, fresh and hot, they really kept it clean and well stocked. It included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. They also had the best hotel coffee I've had too. I loved that they offered a dark roast. Tori, the manager, was helping to work the breakfast area and also checked us out. We also got to meet Rose, the housekeeper for our room. Check out was as easy as checking in and everyone was just as friendly and helpful. It is refreshing to meet such wonderful people who take such pride in their work. It is hard to come across these days. This hotel and their wonderful staff embody what it means to be in the service industry! The Hotel is pretty centrally located, it was easy for us to get to both from the airport and downtown. If you are anywhere near this area and need a reasonably priced hotel you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't stay here! I'd give it 10 stars if I could. The hotel is great and their biggest asset is by far their exceptional staff. One of the best hotels stays I've ever had!

Wonderful guest rooms and hotel. We loved the rooms, fresh baked cookies and milk from 8-9 pm. Very comfortable and homey cabin decor. It felt like we were staying in a log cabin. Beautiful hotel and caring staff.

We have stayed here often, as a good stopping point on a route we take frequently. It is mid-range, basic, but always clean, which are my deciding criteria. It also has the sink and long vanity outside the shower and toilet room, which helps when traveling with several family members who are all trying to get ready in the morning. When we checked in at 11 pm, the clerk was happy that we had a prior reservation through the hotel directly, as several people used Expedia and were falsely promised rooms when it was sold-out. I never use third party sites and get the best rates on my own.

It is beautiful driving up to it! Inside that big timber theme continues. Check is was a breeze, so profession - it's nice to work with someone that knows what they're doing. The room was spacious for us, clean and everything working. Took advantage of the pool this time. We were able to focus on visiting family, and brag about the room. Shopping center, bank, fast food, and two gas stations within walking. Real plus for us.

Motorcycle friendly place. Good overall experience with extremely helpful staff. On the southern end of town, so no dealing with downtown rush hour traffic. Eay access the next morning to the back-roads heading North the next morning for an awesome ride to Missoula.

Everything was fantastic from the atmosphere being spacious and very pleasant, to each and every one of the staff that we encountered being genuinely friendly and helpful, to the pool, spa, and workout room being cleaned and accessible 24/7, to the delicious hot breakfast with plenty of room to enjoy it. We will definitely stay here when in Boise again.

It was a nice clean hotel. Easy access to airport but not next to airport. Easy access to freeway. Good breakfast which made one less stop before my adventures. Laundry facilities. Nice décor. Met my needs.

the room was clean and cool on a hot day, it was quiet despite close proximity to the airport, the breakfast was delicious and the pool was a hit with the youngsters. I will definitely stay here if I am in the Boise area.

The breakfast included anything you could want (waffles, yogurt, toast, hard boiled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, fantastic coffee, hot cereal, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, hot home fries, etc.) The hotel offered afternoon cookies and milk, snacks of apples or oranges which were available anytime, internet service and daily newspapers.

I don't want to bash the hotel. But you guys really need to make sure 3rd party booking sites have full details for whats included in each room type. Very disappointing to request one thing and receive something COMPLETELY under standards/expectations.

We stayed here on the last night of our 2 week vacation. The hotel is very nicely appointed. Staff was very nice, both at check in and check out. Rooms were standard. The breakfast was pleasant. 9 of us on the road for 2 weeks, and a respite this was!

from check in to departure this facility was very enjoyable, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Plenty to eat for breakfas and all issues were quickly handled by staff. The location made all of our outings easy and quick. For the price, this facility is well worth your consideration.

Lovely hotel and very clean which is always good. Rooms had all facilities required and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We found the location really good and easy to find straight off highway but was a bit of a distance to the town centre (probably 20 mins or so). Didn't stop us having a great time though

The staff was very friendly, good location right off the highway. If you are there for a long stay, get used to the breakfast because it is the exact same every day. Wear slippers in the rooms, the carpet is not very clean.

If you are looking for a place in the center of action and nightlife, this is not the place. The area around the hotel doesn't really have any restaurants or other places of interest. It is conveniently located to I-84 and on the far east side of Boise. However, the access is a little tricky as there's not access from the freeway side of the hotel and no sign for the hotel on the street where you turn in to the hotel. We drove past it the fist time as the GPS was not able to find the exact location. This property itself was quite nice and we enjoyed our stay there. The room was comfortable and very clean.

I was really unhappy that we couldn't cancel our 3 day reservation after we viewed the hotel the day before. This hotel looks okay but it needs some upgrading. There are stains on the carpets and the furniture is worn and looks like it needs cleaning. The washer and dryer are on the 3rd floor next to an executive sweet who thought of that bright idea? And they are so old it takes 2 hours to dry a load of jeans. We were there 3 days 2 of those days breakfast was set out so early that it was cold by 7am and when it ran out it wasn't replaced immediately. The beds are hard and could use some padding.

I have stayed with the Northwest Lodge, sometimes for an extended stay. I have always found this a clean, friendly place to stay. The staff, from housekeeping, front desk, and management at Northwest Lodge are what raises this motel to five stars in my eyes.

This is one of the best Best Western Hotels I have stayed at. If in the Boise ID area, I would highly recommend this Hotel. They also sold bottles of wine at the lobby for just $9, and it was good tasking. What a great idea. Great pool and Jacuzzi.

Stayed here with 6 others on motorcycle trip through the area. Hotel seemed pretty new to me. It is pet friendly and we usually do not stay in pet friendly hotels but a friend made the reservation. When we came up the elevator we could hear a dog yapping and a guy was knocking on the door. He said the dog had been yapping all day and the owner had left. We could not hear it in our room and the room was clean. I would stay here again.

I could tell she cared about her customer, she owned the problem and did what she could to make it right , she exceeded my expectations of what hotel should do for there customer. Be careful about booking a room with them I was thinking of changing my reservation with them. We went in there to check it out today and I was thinking about cancelling when I got back to my room in Ontario, Oregon. It just didn't seem that great and is far from everything in an industrial area. I have never booked a room that I couldn't cancel the day before but Best Western's website says that I can't I'm really, really disappointed! I don't believe I will book with Best Western again, I think this is a BAD policy!!!!

This is not a poster-child of hotel for the BW group. It's old & needs a lot of TLC to bring back to BW standards. The staff was very nice, helpful. Room seem "old" yet very clean. Pool was so cloudy x 24 hrs. I could not see the bottom in the deep end(safety problem?). Breakfast area clean, good selection of Hot & Cold food.

We stayed for one night for an event in Boise. Easy to find on Federal Way. We had pet dogs with us, but found we were on the 2nd floor, and preferred ground floor for pet access. Colton checked us in and re-arranged the reservation, and gave us an available room on the ground floor. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The motel was quite full, but yet was quiet. The complimentary breakfast was very good with many choices (hot and cold). In checking out, Crystal was very friendly and helpful with some questions I had. She is the kind of staff that makes you want to stay there again.

This is probably one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I checked in on May 30, and checked out June 4. If I hadn't prepaid through a third-party website (priceline), I would have demanded a refund and left the first night. Absolutely terrible. 1. We reserved a two queen bed guest room. Dresser was broken, several of the drawers did not work and the front wood fascia was missing in some areas. There were several huge cobwebs on the ceilings and windows. 2. There is a two-sided door sign placed in the room, one side printed, "Quiet Please." and the other side printed, "Please Clean." After our first night, we placed the door sign on our door the next morning with the, "Please Clean." sign clearly displayed. We returned late that evening and discovered the room was not cleaned and left untouched. We spoke to management and told them we would be stepping out again for a few hours and requested they clean the room in our absence, since they did not earlier. They agreed, but when we returned hours later, nothing had been cleaned. We were too tired to deal with it that night, complained to management AGAIN who gave a half-hearted excuse, gave us new towels, and said it would be done the next morning... Same thing the next day. We leave, we place the "Please Clean." sign on our door, and return late that evening and it is still NOT cleaned. You're kidding, right? We spoke to management and said this is two days in a row that we requested cleaning and it hasn't happened. Management wasn't aware there were new "Please Clean." signs and said the cleaning staff doesn't read/speak English, so they didn't know what the sign meant, which is why they didn't clean the room. Luckily, we were leaving again, so they called their staff and cleaned the room right then... They cleaned the rest of the week, but it was unacceptable that it took speaking to management three times to get the service we requested. 3. Continental Breakfast- gross. It was not fresh, cold, and a complete mess all of the counters, food containers, and appliances. It looked like friends of the cleaning staff were coming in and helping themselves to breakfast, despite not being guests of the hotel itself. 4. Indoor Pool/Fitness Center Indoor Pool and spa was heavily chlorinated. It scared me to go in because it would probably give me chemical burns. Not to mention, the water had bugs, hair and dirt floating around. Fitness Center is a complete wreck. Their total body machine is completely rusted and hard to use because of this. Elliptical machine is rusted and broken. Resistance does not work and the pedals are falling off. Treadmill is completely inoperable. The safety piece that is required to run the machine is rusted and does not make a connection to allow the machine to function. Needless to say, you won't be working out here. Save your money, book elsewhere. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

I have been here twice in the past month or so--I would be back again next week but they were sold-out on the dates I needed (I waited to o long to reserve--sigh). Just has a very nice rustic feel--like a lodge--when you enter. One of this nicest lobbies I have seen in some time--not swank or posh...just...welcoming. I like that. The employees reflect the same welcoming attitude. I will be back--I will just make sure I reserve with a proper lead time!

What a great hotel! The decor in the lobby, in the rooms, and the friendliness of the staff all said "Western Hospitality." The lobby was comfortable to hang out and meet, the milk and cookies at night were a special touch, and the landscaping outside just perfect. The beds were very comfortable, as were the many pillows provided. If in the area again, I would DEFINITELY choose this hotel again.

This is a great Best Western property. It is near the freeway and close to downtown, has very nice rooms and suites, the breakfast is excellent, and the price is right. It is quiet, comfortable, and has helpful staff.

Staff were helpful and check in and check out was perfect. The room was very comfortable and quiet, I did not hear traffic noise from the interstate and it is only 5 min to down town. Location was good for my business stay.
