Best Western University Inn

Checked in and opened the room and found a man laying in bed. Scared both of us. I was one the assigned room but it was double booked. Front staff acted like they were both new. The elevator didn't work. Carried suitcases up stairs. Room old and dated -had an odor. Didn't sleep well worrying if someone else would be assigned to my room and coming in. Went elsewhere for my next nights stay. Will not stay there again

We stayed here last year and came back because the staff, accommodations' and location are ideal for us. Two nights with breakfast, pool, close by shopping and restaurants. Beds clean and comfortable. nice flavoured water in the lobby. Extra towels when we asked were hung outside our room when we asked. Large trolleys available in the lobby for us to use. well filled ice machine, local attraction brouchures available. I used one to book alligator adventure. overall we will book again next year on our drive from Canada.

Yikes! Had this place gone downhill! Pretty scary. It's like an old motel with a wonky elevator that works ok some of the time. EEK! And a real walk from the elevator if you have suitcases and your room is on the far side of the building. And the furnishings… YIKES! There was a rotting, ripped and torn ottoman that should have been thrown out years ago. Scary. The water stayed in the sink and didn't drain properly. The a/c never went down to the setting I applied. Really? And the breakfast area was not very appealing and neither were the cold, rubbery omelets. Not again.

Continue with what you are doing. Customers servi e was great and the clean staff was great. Very quiet place just as I like it.. the location is perfect. This hotel is all so close to the major amenities like gas station pharmacy and so on.

I stayed for two nights with this chain. Honestly this was a very last minute trip and I was looking to save money. So I took a chance with this hotel. The room was average and the cleanliness was average. Breakfast was included with the stay which was also average. I read reviews of roaches and I did have to kill one while I was there. Just looking for a quick basic experience why not. Appreciate the stay.

Hotel looks nothing like the pictures online. Extremely old and dated, room smells How would anyone rank this more than 2 stars. Best Western has really went downhill. This is the second time Best Western has been a complete disappointment.

My room was covered in hair from the bed to the bathroom. The room was cold and damp. Staff told me breakfast was until 10am, but everyone was being ushered out of the breakfast area at 9:30am. Breakfast was subpar anyways. Basic waffles, wet eggs and dried out sausage. No thanks.

Convenient and clean hotel. Relatively quick check in and check out process, decent/accessible amenities, staff respects your privacy . I have been coming here for years and this hotel has never failed to meet my expectations.

Convenient, very pleasant, clean, very cold air conditioning , staff was up to beat, very helpful, parking not so bad if you arrive at Decent timing, breakfast will put the tank on full if you choose to eat, good selection on television channels, clean... I mean Clean rooms.

Hard to find hotels these days that accommodate smokers. I like the fact that this hotel does. I stay often for this reason. Staff, location, rooms are nice and comfy helps as well. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks.

Everything went well with our stay, however, the only issue that we had was that the bathrooms have no exhaust fan and you cannot open the window, and when we take a shower, it gets really steamy and uncomfortable in there. They need to install exhaust fans? However, this hotel has a nice pool and outside area was really nice, the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Just an AMAZING experience!! Rooms are spacious and clean, hot breakfast is great, but the best part is the staff!! William, Naomi, Josh, Mason, Michelle and Luis, they go above and beyond to make your stay a very pleasant one. After checkout I had a problem with my car that required towing and due to being the 4th of July we had to wait a very looooong time for the towing truck to come. The staff was so accommodating and empathetic to our predicament even inviting us to share hamburgers and hotdogs in the courtyard to celebrate Independence Day while waiting!! Kudos and a heartfelt THANK YOU!! I recommend this hotel very much, you will not be disappointed!

Lived up to best western standards. Descent space but had a dated colour and gates/doors for the rooms. Fair sized pool area with a hot tub. Included breakfast was average but they did not include any juice choices other than apple and it took some coaxing to get that replaced.

Excellent Best Western and a very convenient location right off Interstate 95. All the staff makes you feel very welcome even with a service animal. we have stayed at this location several times and recommend this Best Western to all.

Great location, well-let and easy to find, since arrival was after dark. Staff very attentive, helpful with questions on local area, providing great communications, and room was swell! Terrific breakfast area, with big selection!

We came to town for a pickleball tournament. We thought we could relax at the hotel the first afternoon before playing the next day. The first room had a defective safe. We unpacked, put on bathing suits and went to lock our stuff in safe. It didn't work. They fooled around with us for 2 hours before we got a different room. Lost our afternoon. At some point I said I wanted to leave and they said fine, we're going to charge you for the night anyway. The new room smelled enough that when I got home my stuff smelled. Never go here.

Warmly greeted at check-in. Nespresso coffee machine in lobby was great - full, hot and clean. Two queen beds were very comfortable. Our stay was very quiet. Upstairs (motel style) room had a window in the shower that faced due East. Morning sun rise over the intercoastal neighborhood across the street made us feel like we were living among the muckety-mucks, bathing our room in FL sunshine. V&S Italian deli across the street with subs that remind me of Little Italy. One sub = two BIG lunches. B'fast was well-stocked with plenty of clean seating and choices.

Great experience. Older hotel, well maintained. Pool awesome. Staff friendly. Another great BW experience. Cute courtyard to sit and read. Very quiet. Easy check in. Breakfast ok. Would stay here again.

First time at this Best Western. Absolutely wonderful. Very well maintained. Almost feels like a mini resort. I got lost. I'm a little older. I was lugging my suitcases and this guy Reggie the asst manager saw me and took my luggage from me and helped guide me to my room. He could have just pointed. But he decided to go the extra mile and help me out. Also, very nice check in, as well as check out. They care here and it shows in service and the facility. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent location. The pool is being worked on, but it has beautiful landscaping and has a lovely enclosed courtyard with grass palm trees and flowering shrubs. Property is older, but room was very clean. Breakfast was the usual fair, but good options and a nice outdoor eating area as well. We have stayed here many times, and enjoy our stay.

I had a good and relaxing stay over the weekend in this hotel. The room is large, big televison and a fridge is inside. The pool is clean and in a good condition. At breakfast too much plastic is in used. But all in all nice hotel.

When booking a place while traveling, all I generally expect is a clean, somewhat comfortable room and an edible breakfast (if offered). This inn surpassed all my expectations. The desk staff are friendly, chatty and KNOW the area (from local restaurants, night spots, beaches, and things to do) The hotel staff is just as friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and excellent.

We enjoyed at stay at Best Western. The hotel had a great breakfast selection, staff members were accommodating and the location was adequate. We also enjoyed that free internet was provided. Thanks for an enjoyable experience.

Always stay at Best Western as Breakfast is included :) Rooms need a little more TLC. Fresh coat of paint goes a long way. Courtyard is beautiful. Spa & pool were wonderful!!! Parking was tight but we always got a spot

Very clean faculty with friendly staff and a nice buffet breakfast. Close to downtown and beaches. You do need a car to get downtown and to the beaches. Not sure if the hotel has a shuttle as we had our car with us.

We were checked into a room that did not have a draining shower. It was completely unacceptable. We were offered a plunger to fix the drain and told that maintenance could not get there to fix the shower until the next morning around 8am. It was unacceptable as we had a graduation to go that morning and needed the shower. We left to find a new hotel at 11pm. It was a horrible experience and would not wish this upon anyone. The room had only one working outlet and the internet didn't work. The room over all was clean.

I loved this place nice pool with a jacuzzi. The check in was smooth and great. Perfectly done by the man at the front desk. I stayed on 1st floor it was facing the pool it was a nice view room 106. Room was great! I saw they had breakfast there each morning of my 2 night stay. However, I didn't eat breakfast there but it looked like it had lots of variety and plenty of food. Great Place Great Stay !

This is an older property but very well maintained and updated. Staff was very nice. Room large and comfortable. The breakfast room had plenty of tables and a nice selection of breakfast items. The pool area was very tropical and included a hot tub. There is also a laundry room.

My room was clean, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was served everyday hot and with different options to choose. The ladies in the breakfast room were very friendly and had the breakfast area always clean. Didn't use the pool but it looked pretty clean and cool. The area by itself was always clean and didn't have that cigarette smell in the area or in the room, that was great

Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Awesome breakfast! An awesome huge pool and relaxing jacuzzi. It's located in the heart of Boca so you have everything around you. It's always very quiet so you will rarely ever hear anyone outside your room. My family and I love coming here.

this is an older property, but very clean & well maintained. Great location, nice pool, convenient laundry & fitness center very nice breakfast, ample parking and a great staff who were always very helpful.

Just ok, wouldn't recommend unless in a pinch. Bathroom light didn't work and tub/shower wasn't fully cleaned - had long brown hairs on the wall - definitely not mine. Floors could have been vacuumed better. TV remote didn't work correctly - turned tv on but didn't adjust volume or change channels.

Room was clean, with plenty of room and decent internet. Beds were really comfy. A full breakfast with nice shady outdoor seating was very pleasant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Checkout was super easy!

The hotel was perfect for visiting my nephew at FSU. Room was comfortable with fridge, microwave and view of well maintained courtyard. Breakfast was OK with waffle maker. Didn't use pool or hot tub but looked clean. Free parking with plenty of spaces. Front desk staff were friendly.

This Best Western delivers great service and displays a very caring atmosphere for their guests. The GM Michelle Liza is first class and really pays attention to the guests needs. Likewise, her staff delivers the same type of caring interest in their guests.

Luckily found this hotel after a cancelled flight. A little more distance from the airport than I expected but Ft Lauderdale was crazy busy. The room was accessible for my mobility issues. The place could use a little update but the room was affordable at peak season.

This hotel is old and dirty. Our room smelled musty and the tub did not drain. Overpriced for a glorified motel. If I wanted to stay at a motel I would have done that and saved money. Would not go back.

Staff, except GM, very friendly. Location great. Rooms are not up to BW standard especially for the price. We lost power twice and the GM basically said oh well. The front staff was very friendly, the breakfast was pretty good.

Not at all what we expected. We were looking for a clean, comfortable, hotel for a night. This place was far from it. I wouldn't be surprised if they have hourly rates in addition to their daily rate. Will stay away from Best Western's moving forward.

Amazing quiet hotel that just shines in everything they do! No issues with check in or out, pool, weight room excellent. The morning buffet was excellent, staff kept area continually stocked and clean. No need to go to a breakfast place, they had it all! The rooms were immaculately clean, the bed was super comfortable..just the right firmness ! The area is safe and quiet in Boca Raton. I only had a weekend stay, but I wouldn't have changed a word if I stayed a week! Good job! Keep it going!

This hotel is a good value for an expensive area. The rooms are dated but clean. However, the bed coverlets were stained, and one of the blankets on the bed had a large, unrepaired hole in it. The pool area and courtyard are excellent, as well as a nice outside seating area in the location of the former on-site restaurant. We were at the back of the hotel, mid-week, and it was quiet for sleeping. There is a great Argentian restaurant across the street. Breakfast was average, little in the way of fresh fruit. But there was a lot of food available.

Had reservations at LaQuinta Deerfield Beach, the elevator was broken and I can NOT climb stairs to the 4th floor. The oriental girl says we can put ya on the 2nd floor so we said fine. Went outside to get the info off the rental car for check in and see that the hotel price increased by $100 over my Wyndham Rewards rate. When I ask what the extra $100 is for she freaks out and says tell ya what you don't have a room here, hands back my license and credit card and rips up the paperwork. So we were struggling for a place to stay and only having phones to try and find one on a THURSDAY. We found a Quality Inn in Boca for the night---trust me this baby is straight out of 1962--we spent the night and started looking again. The BW PLUS Univ Inn was GREAT, FROM THE FRONT DESK GUY, THE BREAKFAST LADY, AND THE EVS STAFF. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this outfit to anyone

I was truly impress with the level of care from the Front Desk Agents to the Housekeeping Staff to ensuring that the guests were accommodated. Appreciate the effort. I was also impressed with the location of the hotel.

I kept looking for problems and the ones I found were minor. The important stuff -- cleanliness, quiet of rooms -- were great. The hotel was clean all over, the landscaping was well groomed. The towels could have been better, the shower a little harder. We had faucets that were loose, but still worked. Overall it was a good value for my money and with just a little more maintenance a great value.

Best Western is a nice hotel. It is a bit dated, but it is fairly clean, and has nice grounds, and a large pool. The scenery and grounds are really nice. I wish the room was cleaned everyday, it was a bit of a struggle. I am satisfied for the price, and will stay here again with my son, and next time my wife.

At arrival the customer service was excellent. And that's it. Once we got to our room it was awful. Roaches in the hallway, in our room. Ants in our room. Dirty, not just stained, bed sheets, no fitted sheet just a sheet laid down. The sheets were shredded, not just ripped or fraying, shredded in multiple spots. We got switched to a new room and had the same Issues. It was the worst nights sleep and I had horrible dreams about bugs crawling on me. There was empty beer bottles on the floor of the hallways. We didn't even try the breakfast cuz we were so grossed out. We got out as fast as we could. Manager was understanding and comped our stay. But I would not stay here again

Overall we like this hotel; like the queen size beds. We have stayed here 3 times. We enjoy this location which is close to Delray and beaches. Rooms are spacious and clean. It is easy to find being located right on US 1.

Property is older, with outside rooms. Does not have a "motel" feel as the building is set off the main road and set up so rooms overlook a garden / pool area. Although property is older it is evident that management takes pride and upkeeps maintenance. Room was updated, large, clean and very quiet. Good hot breakfast, eggs, meat, bread, waffles, etc. Coffee ready to go in the lobby by 6:30

The musty smell in the lobby was nauseating. Thankfully, the room was not quite so bad. There was only one bath towel. There were two women yelling at each other in the middle of the night. What was there was edible but barely qualified as a breakfast. The person who checked us out never said a word.

I did not think I would have to do a review, but since my dad is no longer getting a response from the manager, I am going to write a review myself. I booked a room for my dad on May 23, 2021. The night I dropped him off, there was a couple having an argument outside near my dads room. As I was saying goodnight, the man started to harass my dad out of nowhere saying cuss words and then started to charge at my dad as he was trying to get his key out and open the door to the building. I then yelled at the guy as I was sitting in my car watching him charge at my dad. He then started to run towards my car so I locked it since I felt threatened as he came up to my window yelling cuss words with his hands up. I then waited for the man to enter the building so I could take a picture of his license plate. I took this picture for the cops incase we had to call them to come to the hotel but waited to see if the hotel would call them about the incident instead. They did not call the police but told my dad that they received multiple calls about this man harassing people. My dad ended up leaving for the night because he did not feel safe and staff told him we could not be refunded for the room. I waited patiently on actions by the manager and very disappointed with the outcome. I would think that in a situation like this the hotel would care for their customers but it does not seem that way. I will not stay at the hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are big and the set up is great. The breakfast is good too. The rooms are quiet, if you need to sleep during the day, like i have to. The only issue i had was finding parking the morning after working and the tv loosing the signal.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice pool, medium range prices. They were sold out for the weekend; fortunately I booked early enough in advance. The hotel tries to accommodate guest requests, when asked in advance.

There was a live roach in a drawer and another live roach in the fridge in the room. Alas! I was in the room very late, just long enough to sleep and leave early, so could not handle it in real time (and besides I did not have time to move to another room or another hotel). After checkout I complained via email to manager, and at the BW website, and received no response to either complaint. Other than this, the location was adequate and the room was OK. I would have preferred the lighting to be livelier (it was mostly fluorescent) but that is a minor complaint. The staff was very helpful otherwise.

Arrived late at night for a one night stay. The ac in room did not work. We were exhausted and had to leave early in the morning so we did not bother staff at the time with complaint. We will not be staying here again.

I cam into town for a funeral, one night, Friday, check-out Saturday. The desk charged me a full extra night to hold a small bag until 3:00 pm Saturday. I asked if I could remain in the outside area after I checked out to wait for a taxi, I was told "usually when guests check-out they are not allowed back inside the property. My last stay in a Best Western!

When my family and I want to get away we come here. Best western has always been our choice of hotel because it's affordable. What we love the most is their jacuzzi! It's hard to find many hotels that offer jacuzzis. This is situated in the perfect location with the mall just a few miles away.

The check-in was quick and painless. Parking was easy and easily accessible to my room.the pool area was clean and pleasant also. My issue was in my room. There was a stagnant odor in the room as soon as I walked in. I turned up the a/c and that took care of it, but the a/c system was very loud. Then when going to bed, i was about to put my phone on the night table, and found sticky rings on it. I just put a clean towel over it.

I fly down from Baltimore to decompress and get some alone time. I recently switched to this property because its outdoor hot tub is still operating during the pandemic. I have been paying less than $100/night and for that price I will say I love this hotel. It's gorgeously landscaped with a nice big pool and an amazing hot tub. Rooms are dated but I find them very clean. Staff were wonderful with the exception of one of the morning staff. Parking is a breeze, fast trip from car to room. They have vanilla creamer with their coffee! Downsides: Road noise and neighborhood dogs barking. Also, an adjustable chair for the desk in the room would be nice.

i had stayed a couple days at bwui and it has the worst management ever the attitude management has is ridiculous there are roaches climbing the walls of this hotel discrimination of race and color and a matience guy is stuck in his 60s mindset i never felt so embarressed and unwelcomed and any hotel i stayed at with stain floors roof leaks mold and cigerette holes in the fool its price should cut in half and everyone who stays there should be compensated this hotel will not last into the next year worst expierence to date

I naively trusted that in the current highly competitive environment in which everybody is trying hard to get and retain customers Best Western Plus University Inn (BWUI) improved in some way both its facilities and services Instead, reality check made me face holed blankets, stained carpets, braking both TV & internet signals and a door refusing to shut properly. And so I was treated to BWUI characteristic poor housekeeping (now a significant health hazard) and loose, very loose, COVID 19 mask rules involving everybody: management, employees and guests. Last but not least, the good old(er) shift foreman again falling pitifully to play the role of a professional hospitality manager; a sample of his genius: with a 20% occupancy rate and charging half of 2019 rates, he does what he can to lose clients. Unbelievable but understandable Some things in life never change and BWUI is sure one of them. Avoid this hotel. You have a cleaner, more dependable, cheaper options across the street I doubt it will survive 2021, anyway.

I was traveling solo and just wanted a place to sleep after my business meetings. The staff here was EXCELENT. Very nice and helpful. The free "breakfast" was terrible. This might be because of COVID, but it was a brown bag with an old apple, 30 cent granola bar, and a defrosted Lenders type bagel. I wasn't expecting much, but this wasn't something I was going to eat. Bathrooms where old, carpet was falling apart in spots, but beds where comfortable. Overall the room could use a lot of updating. I never felt unsafe, but outside I was always smelling weed and a few "characters" where hanging around. When I was looking for a hotel to stay at, I wanted to find something cheap and a name brand. And this was the cheapest hotel I could find at $63/night. I got what I paid for. I wouldn't stay here with my family. But if I need a quick and cheap hotel for a solo business trip, I would consider it again for the right price.

The breakfast was lacking due to Covid. Room was well maintained despite obvious age of the hotel. The location was ideal. Very good internet. Comfy beds and cool rooms. Swan towels in sink area was a nice touch.

old style hotel renovated a bit, very clean. good location if you need to be in boca raton. decent price, though since i stayed 7 nights i thought that perhaps a little discount would be in order, but alas, none was to be had.

The location is quite good, plenty of parking, shops and restaurants nearby. It is just a short walk to the beach. The rooms and the hotel itself is not quite the standard of Best Western. The rooms need to be remodeled an get a better quality of interior.The breakfast was horrible even for corona times that is a no go. The pool looked nice but was closed due to the corona situation.

The hotel looked ok from the outside at night. The room I stayed in was gross. The carpets felt dirty to the touch, so much so that I wore shoes in my room the entire time we were there. Not surface dirt, but in need of steam cleaning dirt. The bathroom was gross also. There were exposed pipes from the sink inside the shower area that has been removed. The walls had damage and ding marks. The shower head had zero pressure in normal mode so we had to shower under the massage feature. The lighting made us look green and sticky. The large window in our first floor room was right on the parking lot, directly in front of a parking space. I was extremely disappointed that the hotel didn't match the light, airy, clean feel of the online photos that prompted me to book and use the advance purchase option. I was stuck here even though it was gross.

We found ourselves in a bad situation, stuck here in Florida, unable to go home to NY, and trying to distance ourselves from elderly family members who were concerned about being exposed to outsiders. Picked BW because of it's close location and fair prices. This has been a wonderful experience during very unfortunate circumstances. The hotel staff is friendly, attentive, polite, sunny. The rooms are very nice, clean, comfortable. There is a nice pool, hot tub, easy parking, convenient location. I would highly recommend this location if you need an affordable place to stay.

Quick checkin even if they were training a new employee. We were given the wrong directions to our room so it was inconvient for my handicapped wife. Once we got to the room it was freezing and we had to call the front desk. The rest of the week we kept the unit turned off. The room was clean and the breakfast was above many we have had.

I was a little apprehensive at first since I had just left another hotel due to its poor quality of everything. I was pleased to see that it wasn't the case for BW. The staff, especially Reginald (or Richard?) was very friendly and caring. The room was very clean and well presented. There is a nice pool and the outside is very relaxing with all the palm trees. Breakfast is nice also. They offer a variety of hot and cold breakfast. The hotel is at close proximity to many activities (restaurants, grocery stores and supermarkets, scuba diving schools and stores, beaches, FAU....)

Free hot breakfast (lots of variety), free parking, friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms could use a coat of paint, but very comfortable with the usual fridge, coffee maker, etc. Make sure you check smoking / non-smoking when you reserve rooms, as there are smoking rooms. Free coffee and newspapers in lobby, easy access to luggage carts and elevator, close to highway (easy to find). We had breakfast out on the lovely garden patio listening to the fountain. Was the perfect spot for a business trip that we extended a day for relaxing. A short drive to Del Ray Beach for access to the Atlantic and a beach bar, but Boca had plenty of nice restaurants and grocery stores in close proximity to the hotel (highly recommend Ahtziri Mexican Restaurant!) Not sure I will ever get back to Boca Raton, but would definitely stay here again. Best deal in the area for all of the amenities and great service!

Hotel was in a good location. Breakfast was good with many selections. We had a smoking room which had a very strong odor and Febreze helped a lot. Room was in need of new carpet and bathroom toilet was broken which was fixed when reported. All in all everything else was fine.The price for the room was a lot more expensive because of Suoerbowl week and i thought so far away from Miami that they would be more fair in the room pricing. i was wrong as the prices jumped up about 30 to 40% more then other times to travel as all hotels do.

Needed a hotel in the area... this was fine! Very nice and caring staff, good location, rooms ok. Hot tub great! We had heater issues (yes it does get cold sometimes) and they moved us to a better room- ask for the wing near the exercise room! Walk to several decent restaurants: cuban, Italian, bbq, etc! Good deal for price!

Arrived on a Friday evening and waited nearly 20 minutes for a desk agent to return to the desk to check me in. Room was not renovated (like so many other reviews claimed) and was VERY cramped with far too much furniture for the room space - couldn't even properly close the blinds without moving 2 chairs and a table. Breakfast was "ok" - nothing great - but I expected that. Had problems with the HVAC as the A/C would not turn off and room was getting cold. Complained to the front desk on Saturday afternoon around 2:30 and the problem was never fixed. Also asked for extra bath towels at that time and finally received them at 11:00 pm that evening. Definitely will not be returning to this hotel on any future visits to Boca Raton.

Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast was full of options with hot & cold food and bakery items. In good area with restaurants and stores nearby. Would stay again when in town.

Stayed last night.. check in a breeze.. staff EXTREMELY NICE and PLEASANT.. room clean and quiet.. bed comfy.. staff made swan towels which we liked.. shower has plenty of water pressure and a misting setting... breakfast was usual suspects.. im only interested in the waffle machine which had a ton of different toppings.. my fave is the blueberry compote!!!!!... if i could say one thing..tv is a good size .. just if they break go lil bigger.. its ok watching tv.. no issues seeing it from bed.. thank you all for a great stay... definitely up to bestwestern standards..

An older hotel in a safe location. Property is aesthetically pleasing and very well maintained. Large clean room with one of the best layouts I have ever seen in a hotel. Room was quiet and bed comfortable. Breakfast had a large variety of well prepared food. Area was clean and the staff helpful.

This was my 4th or 5th time staying at this hotel. If I need to stay in this area, this is where I go. It's an older property, but it's well maintained and clean. The courtyard/pool area is very nice. The breakfast is much better than other hotels in this price-range. The staff is friendly and will go out of their way to help you. It's a great value for the money.

Great hotel. Very private in a busy area. The room was almost TOO big! Breakfast was deluxe at this price point. There's nothing I'd report as missing. Plenty of restaurants local. Right near the beach too.

Great place to relax and enjoy mother nature. Boca Rotan is a beautiful location and hotel is bery nice and comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff was extremely welcoming. Great rewards program. Enjoy

Clean and tidy hotel with well tended garden areas. Room very clean, tidy and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. On main road so pool area very noisy. Within walking distance of beach through very pleasant housing estate.

We decided to spend a couple of nights at the beginning of our trip on the east coast of Florida before our destination of Fort Myers. We had a free night voucher to use and decided on this hotel. We were a little leery at first because of some of the reviews that we had read. Our stay was fantastic. The gentlemen at the front desk (Alex and Reginald) were very welcoming. The room was clean and the hot tub/pool area was relaxing. Breakfast in the morning had plenty of options.

Every encounter with staff was overshadowed with a lack of interest and an unwillingness to help. Every request was answered with an excuse instead of working to resolve the issues. This began with needing to use the restroom upon check-in and ended with the manager asking us to leave the hotel and never return. In one instance the entire hotel was unable to provide a clean towel for a shower even after multiple requests. Finally the manager on duty had to get the towels from an unoccupied room. Another instance I called down to ask for the WiFi password twice and was hung up on and then put on hold without picking up. When I went down to the desk instead of providing it since they wouldn't call back, the front desk clerk made excuses that there was a line which there was none and seemed put out to provide the password. At breakfast I asked the attendant if there was any ice or would I need to go get some from the one of only two machines in the entire complex for my drink and he offered me the ice they chill the fruit with to cool my beverage. Then on the morning of departure we called down to the front desk to request one hour later departure and was told we have to leave immediately which seems a little unreasonable since I stay at hotels frequently and they never have an issue. The manager and his assistant manager, who by the way had spent all weekend apologizing to me that this was unacceptable behavior by her staff, actually came up to our room and threatened us that we didn't ask well enough in advance to have a late checkout and needed to go immediately. This was unprofessional and intimidating since we asked for an hour and ended up leaving 45 minutes later. This hotel must have security issues because you can't even use a bathroom without a key card or get out of a door without pushing a button. I didn't feel secure staying here and wondered what kind of crime lurked in the area that needed this much security. I honestly believe that the entire staff seemed put out to actually do the job they get paid for and were very unpleasant. I also believe because 2 women were traveling together that this guy who is the manager his name is Louis for the record is sexist because he would not have talked to my husband that way. I came home and shared this experience with him and he said he would have disputed the charges for such a lousy stay with the manager. I consider myself a frequent traveler and this is by far the worst hotel ever. They have 2 ice machines right on top of each other in the middle of the complex along with one elevator for the whole place making it near impossible to get your luggage to your room unless you are on an outside ground level room. It would be prudent to train the staff to not look so miserable all the time or act like it was a bother to do their job. Do yourself a favor don't stay here. Customer service? None exists here it's customer no service.

This has to be one of the worst best westerns I have ever been to. I work for the brand so I have been to quite a few. Staff was among the rudest people I have ever encountered and then to top it all off the manager tried to blame it on us. This was for my birthday and it was most horrible experience from the moment of check in to being hung up on by hotel front desk staff when all we needed was the wi fi. Never have I been so offended and left a hotel with a terrible feeling and wished I never left home.

I found a wonderful online promotion for this Boca Raton we've stayed at in the past. The rooms are not fancy, but clean, with comfortable mattresses, microwave and refrigerator. I was pleased when I called that the hotel had recently been renovated. I noticed that the bathrooms seem fresh and new. It's possible that the rooms could be a little bigger but overall I was quite pleased with our stay.

A forced extra night stay due to sickness and hospital stay resulted in a sly re-working of my bill to a premium rate.....on a Monday. I was told initially that it's when rates 'go-up'....What bull****. Had to complain to the manager who eventually, to their credit, did correct the rate...but added a little verbal jab '..for this one time ONLY'... Well I have news....probably will be the LAST time. Been staying at that hotel for the past 15 years 2x per year. Way to screw up a loyal customer.

I read the previous reviews and I will tell you first hand that anything negative written by others is completely false. I highly recommend this hotel. The beds are comfortable, rooms clean, and atmosphere for a little getaway was perfect. Period!

Hotel was nice, staff was nice, the courtyard was quaint but seeing roaches in the room at 3am and again at 6am ruined the stay. We only expected to stay one night and glad we did. Would have left anyways. Roaches are a deal killer for me and my wife!

The Best Western Plus University Inn in Boca Raton has always been a great place to stay. Big parking lot always accommodates my truck and dive boat. Alex is consistently fantastic and a pleasure to interact with. Over the past 5, or so, years, I always stay at this hotel when I'm in this area.

An ok place taking into account the price I paid. However rather than joining the back slapping glee club, here are my observations The receptionist in the afternoon at my check was very bossy with no sense of humour and not very welcoming. The Manager of the place sits in the back office ordering her , when she is serving me. Told her to finish serving me as I was paying her salary. She Didn't understand and the manager still sent someone out with bits of paper. Appears the manager doesn't understand either!! It's interesting to see the hotels view of Customers come first. They have a parking space reserved for their van right at front of the hotel that would be good for customers to use and they could park their van at the rear of the hotel. The internet packed up for ages while staying there. The first days breakfast on 9/11. There was horrible with a Screaming noise coming from kitchen. The waiter was either Playing sex tapes or listening to a murder show. This spoilt listening to the tv I'm watching in the eating room. There was No respect to the paying customer from the staff. Tell the kitchen staff to turn down their radio/tv down please. Watching cnn report on about 9/11 with screaming sounds was very upsetting. As if remembering 9/11isn't upsetting enough. The second day was better as there was a different man serving on that day. No hot water in morning and evening on the first nights stay. Not very good. The general management need to know the equipment they are using to keep the food warm isn't working. Sausages and scrambled egg are not warm. Are they at a safe temperature to serve and for us to eat? They need new machines to keep the food warm, edible and safe. In summary for the price an ok place to stay. I hope the management take my observations positively and don't respond with defence comments they aren't required.

Clean and pleasant room with great staff. The pool was warm and inviting and the surroundings were landscaped nicely. Breakfast was good with the usual hot foods, eggs, sausage or bacon and the dry foods as well.

Absolutely beautiful. Room was extremely clean & quiet. 4 pillows per bed with great linens & blankets. Frig, micro, coffee, hair dryer, really nice soaps & shampoo..and housekeeping did an excellent job. Breakfast was...almost too much to choose from & catered to every taste. Truck Parking is available..but, we had to back out blind..so keep that in mind before you pull in. The ground are spotless and lush, like youve entered a secret garden. Wouldve loved to take a dip in the pool, but no time. This is a such a beautiful place, can't grasp the negative comments? If ever in the area again, would stay in a heartbeat.

Once again we returned,a very clean and comfortable place very friendly staff good breakfast and adequate car parking handy for beaches super market nearby pleasant garden and pool area with hot tub we would thoroughly recommend this place

service was awful. No room supplies. Too far from elevator. No room service. None of the housekeepers spoke English. Dirty linen left in room. Just a plain poor hotel. Old and very hard to get around with luggage and a child. No one seemed to want to help at all.

I really liked this hotel stood here with my daughter for a few days. We both liked it a lot. The staff was nice room was clean and smelled good. The Breakfast was also good. Definitely will stay here again.

Wonderful check in experience. Camilla was helpful and professional. The room provided was clean and our stay was restful. There seems to be an issue with the night shift staff, according to the guests next door so we always keep our doors locked. Housekeeping is average snd could be more friendly but they do a great job cleaning.

They don't do early check in...even with tons of clean rooms vacant. We arrived from out of town at 1pm and James said no rooms available but he would call us. 2:30 I called James and was told no rooms. 3pm I went back to the lobby where I found THREE different families being CHECKED IN.............As we walked to our room, we saw LOTS of made up rooms vacant...next day when we left .... same made up rooms STILL vacant...So why did we have to wait TWO HOURS to check in? Room smelled very clean was roomy, comfy beds, big bathroom area, frig and microwave. Very nice big pool area and jacuzzi ... Didn't get the free breakfast because the room was packed. But they did have coffee in the front entry..........Looks like they used to have a nice restaurant attached to the hotel, but it's closed down.........

This motel was really good value for the money. The motel was not crowded so we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves.the breakfast was hot and had a great selection of items. The motel staff were Gerry helpfull making for a good experience. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was a fantastic stop on our way to the Cruiseport in Miami Florida. The rooms and grounds were spotless and very quiet. The breakfast was good with the usual plus eggs,sausage, and pancakes. Just a short hour from our parking in Miami before our cruise. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!!

Very very clean, friendly/helpful staff. In the center of many restaurants and only one street away from the beach. Perfect location. If you are looking for a family place or just a quick stay I highly recommend, we will return to continue to stay at this location in the future

We stayed in this hotel for two nights.The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient-rooms spacious and clean-beds comfortable.The hot breakfast included eggs,sausage as well as the usual waffles,toast,juice etc. The hotel itself was a little older with a central courtyard filled with palm trees and a nice seating area to sit and chill out-although it was intended I think for smokers. The one minus was that on both days the cleaning staff did not leave any coffee,sugar or milk and we had to go to the front desk to get some. A safety issue was the bath-no rubber mat and the shape of the bath itself meant care had to be taken when having a shower.This maybe a problem for older people-it was very slippy.Would certainly return.

We drove in from Houston Texas to Boca Raton Florida. We loved the hotel and all of its accommodations. We truly did not want to leave. It was very hard to get out of those comfortable beds and get to breakfast on time. I highly recommend staying at this hotel the staff was very kind and very accommodating.

This Best Western has an exceptional central court-yard garden, that gives you a better than average experience when you are walking to breakfast, the pool or looking for a more natural retreat. It is a great setting for a peaceful and closer-to-nature feel when you step outside your door. The location was perfect and made for very short walks or drives to food and attractions.

This hotel is spread out around an enclosed courtyard which is lush with foliage. Our room was extremely clean and appeared to be newly renovated. There were even swans made from the room towels in our room. There was plenty to eat for breakfast although the scrambled eggs seem very dry so we opted for waffles and fruit. The cons were that the amenities on the website were incorrect. Maybe at one time there was a restaurant and lounge but no longer. Very disappointed as we came to this area for family funeral and thought we would have these on property. Also we were told to walk up to our second floor room which was close to where we parked, but not told there was an elevator just outside the lobby! I know we would have had to walk around the courtyard for a bit but we would have liked to have had that option.

We have stayed here 3 times in the past few years, and it is a perfect place for our getaway from the winter cold. The pool and the courtyard garden are kept clean and neat, and the room was comfortable. The staff were all helpful, and the location is close to everything we want to see and do.

The Best Western Plus University Inn was spotless. The lobby was spotless, the room was spotless, the grounds were spotless. And, the people who worked there could not have been any nicer, from the desk people to the grounds people to the room people to the breakfast people. Every single one of them made us feel at home, and I mean that in a good way. Now, I know that when you stay at a place that has a free breakfast buffet, you understand that the breakfast might not quite be at the Ritz-Carlton level. It's quick and easy, right? It's pre-fabbed stuff that you just accept for what it is. Except when you can't. The breakfast food that was cooked was inedible. Egg things that were like small purses. Leather ones. Hash brown pucktatoes. Bacon that was so thin and overcooked that it was like biting into the inside of an hourglass. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I would just get my breakfast elsewhere.

We were in the Boca Raton area for 1 thing, SHOPPING, we flew into Ft.Lauderdale and drove to Boca Raton, about 30 mins, this hotel was GREAT, checkin was good, centrally located between Ft.Lauderdale and West Palm Beach like we needed, hotel was very clean and safe, room was clean, we chose the Deluxe room and it was perfect for us 3 adults and 1 child! Beds were great as well as the linens and pillows, we slept really well!! Breakfast was good and something for everyone, I would def. stay here again and this hotel was just about 5 mins from the beach.

The best western is the most repulsive hotel I've ever made the mistake of staying at. This hotel was incredibly misleading as to what was shown online. Upon walking in you can instantly tell how disgusting and unkept it is. We didn't even want to stay there since that point. We got to our room to find blood on the shower curtain. We contacted the front desk where they didn't ask for our room number or offer to clean it or change our room. The lighting in the room was sub par at best. There was a foul Oder from the bathroom toilet. We were unable to even go near the shower let alone actually take one. We reduced our stays because we didn't want to stay any longer than we absolutely had to. In the morning there was a large cockroach in the room and at night we had felt things crawling. Even if we had not rated the night we would of been charged. I can't believe we were forced to pay even a cent for this hotel. I'd never suggest anyone to waste this money on this place and have to endure anything similar to our stay there.

Not a huge but wonderful territory with many palms, two pools open till 10 pm: a hot jacuzzi tub and a big blue bath, reach and plentiful breakfast, ice machine, clean, spacey and well equipped, fine-looking rooms, fast wifi, good housekeeping, a very nice and helpful receptionist ready to solve any problem and to satisfy the requests, a quiet and conditioned lobby with sofas, magazines and free drinks, a business room with two computers and a printer.Not in the center or near the beach but if you have a car that's not a problem. Some cafes (Denny's, Chipotle, DD and others) not too far from the hotel.

Just spending the night I usually don't stay at a BW. Saw this on the Internet and decided to try it. Very updated hotel room with lots of light. I am very tired of hotels that have poor lighting and not enough light. Not here. Table lamp, ceiling lamp and two floor lamps offer exceptional lighting to read. Attractive colors and free breakfast. Well you pay for breakfast in your rate but this hotel was more reasonably price than most others. Nice courtyard and pool. Comfortable beds and very clean.

I stayed here as a stop on my way to Key West. I consider it to be overpriced, but everything in that area is. But still overpriced. There is sort of an interior courtyard which is decorated in a sort of funky tropical style. Actually kind of nice. The room was of an old style with narrow doorways etc. but not bad. The whole setup was unorthodox, but not unworkable. Breakfast was so so. There were ample offerings, but things that should be hot, weren't. Toaster needed a good sandblasting.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly,professional staff . Room was very clean ,quiet and comfortable. The hotel is older ,and could use some modern updating. When returning to Palm Beach ,we would definitely stay here again .

We have enjoyed several stays at the BW plus University Inn over the past 5 years while visiting family in east Boca Raton. Minutes from all of the downtown attractions and beach, quiet & easy access by car.Neighborhood offers convenience & mall shopping, and a great diversity of casual, cafe, and upscale dining within walking distance.The rooms circle a large courtyard with abundant tropical plants and the pool area. Windows & Curtains within the room block all but the loudest pool-goers. We have rarely used the full amenities available, but have looked in on the fitness room, dipped our toes in the pool & accessible hot tub, and printed boarding passes in the business center (desk). Breakfast is a bit inconsistent, but the coffee is good and a selection of breads, pastries, cereal, fruit and yogurt more than compensate for the occasional over done egg chafing dish.The staff and their service are absolutely great for the caliber of lodging, efficient and attentive- not luxurious, but just right for a casual stay.Choosing where to stay while visiting Boca Raton is one of our easiest decisions!

Comfortable king bed and room was clean. Nice courtyard gives you that old Miami feel. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast included hot eggs sausage crispy bacon along with the usuals cereals danish yogurt pancakes and make your own waffles. Juices coffee etc My only complaint was the black woman at the desk when we checked in on Sunday she was very rude not friendly and never smiled. All other staff during our two night stay were very nice and courteous. Hotel was quiet and peaceful

I spent 2 nights the room was spacious and clean. Air conditioner worked good. Has mini refrigerator and microwave. There is a safe to secure your valuables. The bathroom has shower in tub. Plenty of hot water. There is a swimming pool and jacuzzi available. There is a courtyard / garden with outside sitting/ dining area. Breakfast is included. There was a good selection of food. This is an older style 2 floor hotel with private outside entrance to the rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms and grounds are well maintained and clean. When I'm back in the area I will definitely stay here again.

Our family stayed at the Best Western Plus University Inn in Boca Raton for 1 night prior to our cruise out of Miami. This hotel was the perfect out of the city place to stay that is also just blocks away from the beaches of Boca Raton. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty of channels offered for everyone in the family. The hotel has a mini resort feel with rooms near pool with lots of plants, water fountains and statues. The continental breakfast offered was good with lots of different choices for either the light morning appetite or a heavier appetite. I most certainly recommend this hotel for your cruise out of Port Miami or Port Everglades.

I stayed here for two nights and while an older property, the rooms were surprisingly clean and refreshing. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of closet space (including a safe) and a good size bathroom area. The common doors at the property require a room key at all times which adds a measure of safety to the stay. The personnel that I encountered were friendly and super helpful and were very much an asset to the overall stay. The breakfast room was dated but clean and the items provided (including the hot items) were tasty. Would highly recommend this hotel for a budget traveler.

Nice, clean room with a comfortable bed and large flat screen plus the usual microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Lush gardens and outdoor areas, large warm pool and an outdoor hot tub. All clean and a possible icon of the Best Western fleet. Been to at least 7 but not all and this is a great one. Oh, the staff was friendly and even a bit fun.

This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Their staff is super courteous, smiling, very friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Our service while staying there is fantastic. Their breakfast was awesome. the manager Michelle and the Aid of housekeeping is very polite. We would recommend B W P U INN to anyone else.

We highly recommend this hotel. We will return! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and most of all... relaxed during our visit! Excellent pool, hot tub, garden areas, walkways and outdoor seating areas offering shelter from the sun and rain.

I've been here 10 years ago and decided to stop again. Always a good experience. Comfy and tidy. Very Good hot breakfast. Gteat swimming pool area. Free parking around the building. Free internet, worked ok for the weekend.

I dialed ‘zero' on my room telephone and contacted Alex. He answered my phonecall, i asked him about the fun places to visit around the area. Seeing as we were new to this area. He informed me about a couple of good places to visit. He was very informative, courteous and professional.

After a long drive from Atlanta to Boca Raton FL,for 4th of July,it was to early to checkin ,so wife and I went directly to beach,and spent most of day. Now, extremely tired,we hoped that this Hotel will give us a comfortable night rest.To our surprise it turned out just how we wanted,clean room,relaxing,and really nothing to complain about. The checkin was fast and front desk clerk was overly polite.After a good night sleep,we had decent breakfast,before heading out. for the day.Spent two days,at this Hotel and enjoyed the hospitality. .

So I got to my room, first thing I noticed: the mirror door was disgustingly dirty, with white spots all over. Then, went to use the toilet, clugged! The blanket was dirty and when I went to take a shower on the last day, there was a roach crawling on the tub!

I haven't stayed at any hotel where I was treated better or felt that I would return as quickly as I could. The staff, the rooms, the amenities are all wonderful. This hotel is well located and easily assessable from the Interstate and the Turnpike.

I spent one night in town and choose this BW Plus. I always try to book BW when in the USA as wherever you go they always seem to provide good quality. This is the case at this specific location as well. The building is a bit older but rooms are great, spacious, comfortable beds, ok bathroom. It was also clean which is great. The place is quiet, parking is free, staff is friendly and helpful. They have a nice pool and hot tub surrounded by palm trees, great experience. Breakfast was great, plenty to choose from. Would visit again and would recommend.

Good price for the area, room was nice and clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. The best thing is the breakfast. A range of hot and cold food, everything you could want. In a central location and plenty of free parking!

This is an older Best Western with an upgraded interior. The rooms have new comfortable beds, TV, and décor. The interior courtyard boasts mature tropical plants with a nice size pool and hot tub. Breakfast has a great variety of items to satisfy everyone. Great price for the area!

Warm friendly atmosphere, room was clean, nice pool, excellent continental breakfast, coffee in the lobby,Convenient safe location close to the beaches, restaurants, bars, marina, check out Delray beach while your there....johnny browns was a great place to eat and listen to live bands.

College visit to FAU. Great location. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Pool was very nice. Breakfast offered many different choices for everyone. Hot breakfast, fruit, bagels and pastry. We stayed for 2 nights. We will stay here again.

Visiting family at FAU and on the short notice, rooms rates were sky high. Normally stay in Hampton Inns, Embassy, etc but was not going to pay $250+. This Best Western has clean rooms and facilities and all the amenities you'd expect. Nothing fancy and certain things like decor is a bit dated but other things are on par. Large TVs and comfortable bedding. Breakfast is something to be desired but gets you going. Keep in mind what you paid for and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Would stay again.

Alex call the head of the housekeeper to show me a room before I rent it , and she was very nice and very professional, I ask her for how many years she been working at the hotel she said 1 year but it's seem like she been working n there for more than 1 year the way she was. When i finished to checking she call my room to ask if I'm satisfied Wow good customer service ... The room was very nice 110, I'm coming back next year... I recommend this hotel.

Location was great, not far from beaches or places to eat. Hotel was very clean. Pool was excellent. We stayed for 2 nights, we choose to go to Boca Raton beach but could have gone to many others. Went to Gumbo Limbo, rehab for sea turtles.

I love the staff , Michelle make sure everything is ready. and the rooms at University inn Best Western always very comfortable and the breakfast bar has everything from a full breakfast bar from eggs and omelets to fruits and juices too bagels and cereals hot or cold

The courtyard area of this motel is very nicely landscaped and neat, as a good deal of pride and effort seem to have gone into this facet of the property. Unfortunately, we happened to stay there during an unusually cool period of March, and the room heater in our room was blowing luke-warm air which felt like cool air by the time it made its way from the wall to the further reaches of the room. When we tried to turn the heat up to a higher level, it would shut off altogether. We had to ask to be moved to a warmer room, which thankfully they were able to provide for us. The front desk staff seemed very friendly and wanted to help us rectify our situation. Despite breakfast being included, we didn't eat in the breakfast room due to the air conditioner blasting cold air in there (despite an outdoor temperature in the 50's and 60's).

The night guy Alex, he's so great!!! The hotel is comfortable and was great for my 2 children ages 9 & 11. I was stuck in an airport in TX for 8 hours with my kids who were super hungry upon arriving at the hotel. Alex went out of his way to get us in the room quickly and then even brought various menus up to my room door. This hotel was super comfy for my whole family!

I was attending a conference at Florida Atlantic University and this hotel was fairly convenient (about 10 minutes' drive to university). Rooms are comfortable, although they use those annoying small pillows instead of regular size ones. The staff is friendly, breakfast is quite good (in particular, the hot food was good although the selection every day was fairly limited) and overall this hotel is very good value. I did not use the pool but it looked inviting. The hotel is set up in an older motel-style configuration, where each room has a large window facing onto a central common area; this means you will hear other people outside and need to be careful about drawing blinds for privacy. The common area holds the pool and some nice landscaping. There are benches everywhere along the perimeter of the common area to sit on, which is a nice touch. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this Best Western for 3 nights. The room was great and we loved the pool. They had a very nice courtyard with palm trees and flowers. Very nice. They provided a nice breakfast that was great. Also talked to the owner and manager of the hotel. Very nice guy's. Who told me if there was anything I needed just ask.

Visited Boca Raton for a visit to Florida Atlantic University. Not being familiar with the area we chose this hotel as it was close to the school. We were only here for the one night. The grounds are very nice and staff was very friendly and welcoming. It is an older hotel that has been refurbished. I'm reading lots of reviews regarding mold and musty odors. They must have taken those complaints seriously because we were met with an overwhelming smell of chlorine bleach when we entered our room. Also whoever cleaned the room left the thermostat set on 50 degrees because along with the chlorine smell we were hit with an artic blast that made my feet turn blue...seriously. Readjusting the thermostat did nothing. Turning on the heat did nothing so we ended up turning the unit completely off. The dressing area light wouldn't come on and the gentleman who came to check it even remarked how cold the room was. No mold or mildew was seen. The room was actually very neat and clean so we had no complaints there. We thought the breakfast was pretty darn good. If a place serves bacon then our family is happy. There was plenty of bacon, eggs, omelettes hash browns, make your own waffles, fruit, danish, etc. Overall it's a decent hotel to stay at but not at $160/night. I do realize we visited during what is called high season for Florida but still, Hampton Inn just a few miles away was only $120.

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western. The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and the pool was great. We especially loved the large hot tub. All the staff was wonderful and worked very hard to ensure we enjoyed out stay. The housekeeping staff kept our room very clean. Our room was super clean and well kept. We never had an issue with anything. It is not a new hotel, but the price we paid was significantly less than some of the newer hotels in the area. Breakfast had everything you could want on at a free hotel breakfast: eggs, waffles, muffins, Danish, cereal.... The hotel was very busy while we were there, but the breakfast lady kept all the food well stocked so it never ran out. Thanks for a great stay!

The courtyard room we were given had such a moldy smell we could not stay the night. The staff offered us another room, but that was just as bad. We canceled the rest of our reserved nights and went to another hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, but the rooms were totally unacceptable!

The room smelled like mildew, no shower curtain, was so loud outside during the day, the front desk people were nice. The breakfast was very bland taste. I would say if you don't mind any of those issues stay but not worth the money.

My family and I booked for two nights, however we only stayed for 1 due to a very outdated, moldy, dirty, and smelly room.. Upon walking into the room you can smell a dirty foot odor from the old brown carpet. The beds sink in from years of use and the sheets had a yellow look from age. We all complained of itching when laying in the beds . The bathroom had mold in the window inside and along the floor tiles and wall, the drain was open for bugs to have a free ride in , and the bathroom door was rusted and wouldn't shut. The air vent had a severe amount of dust and appeared to suffer from care and maintenance. I would suggest new management, a total overhaul of the hotel, and a new cleaning crew so person gets sick ! Excellent staff and very comfortable rooms. Staff is very attentive and very friendly. Room cleanliness is great. The people here are always in a great mood and make you feel like home. Plenty of restaurant options very close by and beach is minutes away.

The hotel is a lovely hidden oasis from a busy area - lots of great restaurants, beach is not too far away. The pool area (and iguanas) is lovely and the staff is wonderful - accommodating - doing whatever is necessary to make our stay the best possible

We stayed 3 nights at the BW Plus in Boca. The staff was very friendly [especially Alex at the front desk]. The grounds were pretty. The weather was not conducive to using the pool, but the pool looked very nice. Free breakfast was good but basic. The rooms needed updating but were ok. Internet and parking were included and the location was very good.

We stayed here in early December, Although we had a reservation for a specific type of room, after 3 tries, it still was not ready. So, we took a different type of room, just to get checked in at the hotel. The room didn't appear to have been vacuumed, and the furniture was a bit dated. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel is well located, with many great restaurants nearby (we especially loved the Funky Buddha Brewery across the street!). The breakfast was good, and well stocked; there did seem to be some minor delay with tables being cleaned after people left, and they started clean up early. The hotel is a good stay for one evening, but that's about it. There were a few issues that were brought to the attention of management, and management responded appropriately.

One of the quietist hotels I have ever stayed at. Beds are comfortable and the staff friendly and accommodating. At check in Alex was friendly and made me feel welcomed. The breakfast selection was above average and the staff were constantly keeping food and coffee available

When I - with a serious face - told the front desk, at check-out, that I was speechless, they got concerned - until they realized that I was playing with them. I indeed felt speechless - but in great way. Didn't expect what I received from a Best Western. I certainly read reviews for the property before I booked; most of the reviews were very good, so I didn't expect bad things. But the room was really-really nice: super clean and beautifully furnished & decorated. And the bed was amazingly comfortable - to my taste, better than at Hilton. I loved it.

Understand that this is not a 5 star hotel but for the money and designation, I received a clean, comfortable room with breakfast and excellent customer service! The place was also conveniently located on US1.

I dont understand why this hotel is considered a plus when I've stayed in regular BW's and the cost was more than half less of what I paid for this stay. Nothing was renovated and bedding was old and funky

Alex was friendly & helpful . United lost my bag & Alex told me about their business center so I could try to reprint my boarding passes for our cruise. The rooms where clean. The atmosphere was really nice. Lizards walking around was really cool. I loved the landscaping a lot.

We were very happy with our stay and loved the courtyard with the lovely garden. It was clean, comfortable and staff were great and helpful when asking for recommendation for dinner.. Breakfast was good as well.

Very short stay required , little time spent in room, so the accommodations were more than adequate. The location is easily accessible as well, being near major crossroads, shopping, restaurants and the highway.

Great value for the price, all online room requests honored at check-in, hotel very close to the University, very clean, staff super friendly and very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Full hot breakfast and free coffee all morning in the lobby. Had room nice and cold for our arrival. Front desk staff, Alex is an FAU alumni so he was able to tell us great things about the school & the area. Thanks Alex!

Bed is comfortable, breakfast is excellent for this type of hotel, price was decent, a little bit dated, but clean. Location is in a decent area, places to get food nearby. Parking is a bit limited near the entrances, but large lot on the side of the building.

Stayed overnight while we were in the area for a night of dinner & dancing. Quiet room, helpful staff. Swimming pool was cold but hot time was nice. Breakfast buffet was great. Would definately stay there again.

Whenever I go south Florida, especially Boca Raton, I like to stay at this Best Western. It is clean and the staff are friendly. I like the breakfast and they always have good maintenance on the pool. The overall service are excellent. The house keeper specialist provide great service and friendly. they always smile and happy to do their job. This is a sign that can tell they have been treating good by their manager.

We wound up stopping unexpectedly in Boca Raton,FL and luckily found this Best Western. Even though it was late we were greeted by a professional and friendly staff. The room was good size, very clean and comfortable. It was quiet and allowed us to get a good night's sleep before heading out the next morning. The location is good.

We stayed 2 nights last week and the rooms are average. The beds aren't the most comfortable I've slept in but they aren't bad. Room was spacious to put the pack n play for the baby. I requested a quiet room as the hotel it's right next to the road and was told that the rooms have good insulation. I did hear the cats and we were give a room next to the elevator and stairs. We had an a night flight and just wanted to rest. Not good thinking from the front office as to give us that room. The breakfast had more variety than a continental breakfast. The staff of breakfast was really sweet to my baby who's all smiles to people. They made him laugh. So I do appreciate it. The room was clean. A longer stay might be harder but for a short stay it works.

be sure to book a non smoking room and arrive early otherwise you get the left overs. While the rooms are cleaned, the carpets are dirty and the beds lumpy. Breakfast isn't great. Some staff like Theodora are great others are indifferent.

Very unprofessional Steph very bad breakfast took to three hours to check in which the whole day checking in there he does satisfied the shuttle is never available and it barely gets a two star rating in my book I would never recommend this location because the staff is so rude and slow and completely understaffed maybe not their fault probably the fault of the owner

I stay at this hotel often. I have never had a negative experience of any kind, The staff, facility and location are all first rate. The swimming pool is located on the property in such a way that allows for both morning and afternoon swims before and after my appointments.

Great location close to FAU and eating houses, staff were really helpful and friendly. Great hotel, had everything that we needed and we look forward to staying here again. Fair and reasonably priced Easy car journey to surrounding beaches and shopping centre. The weather was fabulous and we really enjoyed our time here

I travel for business and I choose where I stay. I have been to this property 3 times in the past few months and will continue to come back. Great staff, comfortable,clean rooms and nice decor. My main reason for staying here - they still offer a few designated smoking rooms. Not a smoker? Don't worry, they are away from the other rooms and will not interfere with your smoke-free environment. The breakfast buffet is very good and offers more choice than most hotels. In this price range, it's pretty hard to beat.

We were here for a college visit to FAU so the location was perfect. It was on the recommended list from the university and I liked that free breakfast was offered. The good: - beautiful plantings around the hotel and in the center atrium. - clean sheets, comfortable beds and pillows (which can be hard to find in a low cost hotel). - location was central to a lot in the area. - friendly reception on check in (at 10:45pm). - quiet and cold AC in the room. - Great make your own waffles in the free breakfast and lots of cereal choices. My husband said his coffee was good. - free wifi in the room that while a little slow, did work fine. The not so good: - old, worn down room with peeling paint (including the surface of the tub). - confusing room map, took us a little extra effort to find our room. - closest gate to our room didn't work with our key so had to walk a little further to find another way in. - Leaking ceiling in the breakfast room - 5 buckets catching the dripping water. - the "breakfast omelets" were pre-made, pre-frozen (you could taste it) and just scrambled eggs folded over cheese. Flavorless. So, this place was average. Not bad, but not great. If my son chooses FAU, we'll look for another place to stay on future visits.

The room was nice and spacious. The breakfast was good and plentiful; and fresh fruit in ample supply. Pool and hot tube were clean. Nice open patio with cover for the seating in the center of the rooms.

Stayed here for work. My room was old and smelly. The pillows were all super puffy and gave me neck pain the following morning. Hard to get a good nights sleep. That described my room, but our second room was worse. Toe nail shavings were all over the carpet around the floor. Unimaginable. Disgusting, never again.

Good hotel, decent parking, near restaurants and stores, quiet efficient AC, clean, good breakfast,quiet room,comfortable bed,good water pressure,numerous power outlets, good internet and tv channels. The only thing that annoyed me was an incident that happened the day I left. The night before checking out I called the front desk to ask if I could leave at 1 pm instead of 11 since my flight was much later and it would be a long travel day. I asked if they would be very busy that day and if not I would really appreciate it if they could accommodate me.The lady said that I could not stay until 1 but 12:30 was ok. Don't know her name(friendly employee with long blond hair). Fine ,next day at 12:10 I get a call from the front desk saying "I assume that you are staying another day" I told her that I was packing and would leave in a few minutes. I mentioned that the other lady had said 12:30 was fine. She got angry and raised her voice saying NO,LATE CHECKOUT TIME IS 12 .I told her again calmly that the other employee had said 12:30 and that I was almost ready to go. again she repeated even more loudly and angrily LATE CHECKOUT TIME IS 12. I left right away and repeated to her what I was told the previous evening. I couldn't believe that she was basically calling me a liar. After my first night at the hotel I even went to the front desk to tell them that I loved the place. The only thing was that the pillows were very soft . They didn't have any other type so i went and bought one since I know that it's a small thing and they can't please everyone. I also told them that they didn't have to clean the room or bring extra towels , I cleaned it myself. It's too bad that after a great stay one employee had to spoil my image of the hotel. Certain people shouldn't work in the hospitality industry. They should get a job where they work alone in a closed room somewhere.

I stayed at this hotel for an extended time while overseeing renovations on a property in Boca Raton. The location is very convenient for getting to the beach and restaurants, City Hall, etc.,and it is only about five minutes from 1-95. The room itself was your regular Best Western Plus room with two queen beds, fridge, microwave, table for dining or working, and an inroom safe for storing your valuables. One nice thing is that they have a water softener so you aren't showering in the hard water that plagues parts of Boca. Front desk staff was always very courteous and responsive. The breakfast buffet was always well-stocked. They have a self-service laundry room that always had machines available and was kept clean. I deducted one star because the housekeeping was very spotty and seemed disorganized throughout my stay. But overall this is an excellent choice for staying in East Boca at this price point.

It's easy to be good in a good time! Try during Hurricane Irma! The room was spacious and comfortable for our almost three day stay. The front desk, manager and the rest of the staff did everything possible for the nervous people, some elderly, stranded away from home with a threat of category 5 Hurricane. Many worked overnight and even had a small battery powered lights when the electricity went out! Generator provided some electricity and staff even used it to make people comfortable and even used it to make a tea for an elderly guest. There was no uber or a taxi to take us home when it was cleared by police and we could not find the three-mile-ride back. We were thrilled when the Manager turned out to be a good Samaritan and took us home in the Hotel's airport shuttle. That was not the call of duty but the call of human compassion and help. The care and kindness of the staff made our stay tolerable even in the very bad time!

This is a very attractive and pleasant hotel located in northeast Boca Raton. Convenient to both the beaches and the downtown area of the city, it has an expansive courtyard with extensive shady garden plantings, as well as a pool and hot tub. With the exception of one of the two washing machines being out of order, amenities were functioning and in good condition. The place is clean and the staff attentive and easy to access. It is a nice place at a moderate price. I have no complaints.

The customer service was outstanding, because of that I became a rewards member. Home away from home. My family has stayed in other hotels only not to return. Best Western wil be the only hotel we stay in.

I stay here frequently for business and pleasure. For pleasure, their large southern parking lot is extremely accommodating to par my long boat, trailer, and truck. I have always been pleased with the value, quality, cleanliness, safeness, and breakfast.

Reported the toilet blocked, the air conditioner dripping, and the refrigerator not cooling. Nothing was repaired. They just plunged the toilet, and said they would take care of it when we left. Disappointing for what we paid.

Used this hotel when taking our daughter to FAU. Convenient to the college. Housekeeping was wonderful. My husband dropped his wallet outside and another guest found it and returned it to the front desk. Honest guests and employees. The cost was a great value.

I travel at least 300 days a year. If I'm in South Florida on business, I'll go out of my way to stay at this BEST Western. I've stayed at this location multiple times. This location is constantly well maintained. That's why I go out of my way to stay here.

I use this hotel because it's a restful stay. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, and the beds , oh so restful. Pillow top. I also enjoy the breakfast in the hotel which is complementary , and has a wide variety of items, hot and cold. And the management is very accommodating .

The most difficult part of the stay is finding the motel. It is right on Federal Highway. Apparently the city has restrictions On signage. No lighted sign. Once you find out the the palm trees in front have white Christmas lights you have a much better chance not driving by The room was spacious with 2 beds, flat screen tv(would have liked an on line directory of the stations and programs)refrigerator, microwave, ironing board etc. the outside is a tropical motif. Plenty of tables and chairs in the shade. A good size swimming pool. And a separate breakfast area. The breakfast was not fancy but adequate for most guests. I would say a few miles from the ocean. The beaches in Boca Raton are beautiful. A couple of miles from FAU. Many places to eat within 5 mikes

This hotel is clean, in a nice area, well-priced, conveniently located, warmly decorated, beautifully landscaped and near three gorgeous oceanfront parks! Our family will absolutely return to this particular location anytime we visit this area again!

This location worked out very well for as business trip I recently took to the Miami area. Close to the beach, right on I-1. Easy access to I-95. Felt secure, staff was helpful. Will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel but I will NEVER go back. I booked a night with this hotel through Best Western using my reward points. During the evening my husband & I decided to stay an additional night. Since we wanted to sleep in the next day we tried to add this additional day stay that night. We were told by the night desk clerk that the additional day would have to be added in the morning but he would make sure to hold our room so we wouldn't have to switch rooms the next day. In the morning the general manager (Louie) told us that we could NOT stay in the smoking room that we were in as they were all booked for that day & had to move to a non smoking room. (He was extremely rude to my husband & condescending.) He had his manager Teresa place us in a non smoking room & told us not to mess it up as if one of the smoking room reservations cancelled we could go to their room. We spoke to Teresa at the front desk at 3pm & 5pm & she informed us that no smoking rooms were available yet & in fact there was only 1 unbooked room in the whole hotel. At 7pm we went to the front desk & spoke to the night clerk (Alex who remembered us by name from our last stay). He informed us that 3 smoking rooms were available, one of which was the room that we were forced to leave earlier in the day. So we were moved back to our original room. (At 11pm that night there were still 2 empty smoking rooms.) I have no idea why a general manager of a hotel would choose to accommodate someone who may or may not show up at their hotel instead of a customer that is already staying in their hotel, it seems ridiculous to me! And really shows that he has no customer service skills!

We are used To stay in BW for short periods during Our trips,this one offered one of the Best breakfasts and the nicest pool we've had in a best western. Rooms could be refurbished but were ok.Very friendly staff especially the Bulgarian lady at the front des.

This hotel needs to be up to dated. Better selection of food items. A bit out of way to go to Mizner Park and Royal Place for entertainment if no one has their own a car. Very little sightseeing except for the boating rides is always plenty.

Good Stay for work. Alex put me in the secured area, I appreciated that. Room is nice, spacious and internet is fast. Plenty of outlets. Close to interstate and lots of things. Breakfast is good, pretty standard but enough to choose from. Nice tropical pool and courtyard. Courteous staff!

My checkin went quite smoothly alex was quite friendly and tended to me in a professional manner. He we nt above his duties to help me. He told me of the offers for platinum member and gave me rates for summer which i booked.

We always stay in Best Western. Reasonable price. Clean and breakfast included. We love it! Fast internet speed too! If we have guests coming we take them Best Western and they are always happy with service and rooms!

What a beautiful building,very well kept and nice gardens and pool area,good position for the beach only minutes away,the hotel is very professionally run,all the staff are very helpful especially Alex ,the rooms are very spacious and clean ,you are guaranteed a good nights sleep,and the breakfast is excellent,we would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be visiting it again very soon

Really enjoyed our stay. It is our 5th time at this hotel since 2005. Breakfast is very good. Enjoyed the pool in the evening. Close to the Ocean beach. Price is reasonable. Room is nice. Will go back again in July. Same breakfast lady since 2005.

AC broke in the middle of last night. I didn't cal management then because they couldn't fix it and a move to another room would have been worse. I told front desk clerk at checkout. She said manager would call me back. She never called, so I called her. She then informed me that I didn't know how to work the thermostat. I got out of bed twice that night, turned the light on, and set the thermostat at the lowest setting. The system didn't work, and probably doesn't work.

Felt like we were in a David Lynch movie. Scary guests and inefficient staff. Upon our departure there were 2 police cars and a fire truck at the hotel. That hotel needs an onsite police presence. We will never return.

This is at least the fourth time we've stayed here. Comfortable, quiet, and convenient for our destinations. And good price. The rooms here each have a central type a/c system which is very quiet vs a window unit a/c. The bathroom sink area has a very wide countertop with plenty of room for personal items. Good breakfast included. And one of the best pools.

We were on a road trip of south Florida and came upon this BW+. This was really good value for money with the best BW breakfast we have ever had. Cheese omelette, fresh fruit. The room was great too, clean, well appointed. It wasn't a long drive to Boca. And we called into the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center which is nearby

Decent hotel, a bit overpriced, interior halls smelled musty, not sure febreeze could help here. Hot food could use an upgrade. Not easy to see entrance late at night, it is a sprawling property and the entrance is not well marked.

This hotel was beautiful. The courtyard was gorgeous. The pool and hot tub were clean and complimenting. The rooms were very nice. Bathroom had a window that opened. Staff was friendly. We will be staying here again within the next month.

A very quiet place. Pool was very relaxing. I felt comfortable and safe throughout my stay. I would recommend this facility if it is near the area you desire. The express checkout makes things a bit easier.

We spent our last two nights in Florida at the BWUI. I could easily have stayed longer. Despite it being right on the N Federal Highway, once you walked through reception and through to the other side, it was like a tropical paradise. Any road noise soon faded into oblivion. But if you are particularly sensitive to noise, you should mention this in your reservation, just in case. We were given room 107 on the ground floor not far from everything and it was absolutely perfect and very quiet! I appreciated the window in the bathroom as it provided extra light but I am told not all rooms have these. We were warmly greeted by Alex upon check-in and provided with all necessary orientation and the car parking permit. We parked on the front side but there seemed to be plenty of parking in general, including at the back and sides. Our room was very large, even with four people in it. It was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The fridge was larger than any I have seen in a hotel room and a microwave was placed discreetly in the furniture under the flat screen tv. I really appreciate it when hotels have a vanity area separate to the bathroom/toilet, even if some may consider it dated. It was accessible without having to go around the beds, i.e. free space from the door to the vanity area and was like a small dressing area. There was plenty of space for toiletries/cosmetics, even when the coffee machine was lifted to the bench from its' space below. Four coffee bags were provided, including decaf. The shower was in a bath and with great pressure. On the side opposite to the bathroom, there was a sliding wardrobe complete with a laptop-size safe (and iron, etc.). All in all, plenty of space. There were wooden benches between the rooms where you could sit and enjoy the lush, green surroundings. There was also a large undercover area where you could sit and relax/read/write or even eat breakfast as it was just steps away from the Palm Room where breakfast was served. The Palm Room was very pleasant for breakfast and the food on offer was surprisingly good, including DIY waffles with two big bowls of jam and cream, eggs/omelettes/small meat patties and all the usual cereals, breads, etc. It set us up really well for the day. The pool area was kept as meticulous as the gardens. This is perhaps where the street noise may be noticeable. The pool was large and 8 feet deep at one end. There was a rope across the pool at the 5 foot mark. The jacuzzi was one of the biggest I have ever seen and would seat about 15 people. Both the pool and the jacuzzi had a disability seat, which I have never seen before. How thoughtful is that! There is access to a pleasant one toilet restroom near the lift behind the pool area, using your cardkey. A guest laundry is located on the second floor. We walked two sets of lights to Spanish River Boulevard then turned right for the pleasant stroll to the beach. It avoided the need to find parking, which is limited in that area but not impossible. We passed a Walgreens halfway, perfect for buying cold drinks on the way back. There are plenty of restaurants in the area around the BWUI and there is a Publix store a short walk away and they have fantastic fresh salads. Upon departure, we were able to print out our boarding passes in a private room off the lobby. Fresh coffee is available in the mornings. I would definitely return to the BWUI and highly recommend it to anybody. You would also feel comfortable staying here as a single woman. All staff were very pleasant and you could not imagine that there was such beauty behind the facade. Enjoy the photos and see if you can spot the chameleon in the bush!

We were moved to a new room which had a slight odor. It was late, we needed to get up early so dealt with the order. Orverall not bad. If we were in the area again we would not have a problem staying at this facility again.

Ok for 1 night stay. Room was comfortable, wifi in the room was very good. Bathroom was very good, adequate amenities. Breakfast was awful. Would eat breakfast elsewhere. Would stay here again. Great location for university or beach.

This is the 2nd time that we stayed at this hotel, our first stay was better. We stayed for 2 nights this time, everything appeared good at first. We were happy with our room, it seemed clean and it's a decent size and the location of it was ok. It was pretty quiet, and the courtyard was nice. The cons were the linens-there were long hairs on some of the pillowcases and on the towels. The next day when they brought clean towels there were hairs on the towels again and one washcloth appeared to be dirty (globs of something and lots of short curly hairs all over one side). Also the bathroom door needs to be replaced in the room, it kept getting caught on a spot on the floor and was hard to open if you closed it. There was something sticky that was spilled down the stairs and in the hallway by the exit to the parking lot that was there all weekend. Breakfast was ok, no complaints there. We go to Delray Beach to visit family pretty often, I'm not sure that we'd stay there again unless we had to...

I was extremely skeptical about staying at the hotel but it was very clean and affordable. I would recommend to anyone staying or Leisure or to spend time with loved ones who may be local. It is clean and a good comfortable bed to lay your head.

Would probably have gone with 3.5 circles, but not an option. This is a beautifully landscaped property abutting US 1, so roadway noise can be an issue, although not inside our room. Rooms are a nice size, although not modern. Breakfast is real nice, and the staff quite friendly. Saw a smoker in a non-smoking area...that is not a good sign. The hotel has the feel of a motel because of its layout..not a bad thing, but outside corridors may not be everyone's taste. All in all a good choice for a reasonably priced Boca stay.

I was traveling with my sister and the things I looked for in reviews was safety, and cleanliness.The reviews for this BW were good and accurate. We enjoyed the wide variety of the breakfast, and felt safe at this hotel and in the surrounding area. I also felt it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful.

A good BW Hotel for 2-3 nights. Enough space in the rooms. Nice terrace with sun shades where you also can go for your breakfast. The breakfast is better than average with fresh fruit and a nice variety of hot and cold breakfast choices. Would go again.

I was lost and tried in hotels around but all of them were full up, then found this hotel and spendeda great night , thank u, I made my reservation on line and booked it inmediatly , match the fee and ready

No complain with the room . Very beautiful. And breakfast is good. But when I checked in, the FO sent me on a smoking room which i didnt request. Then i had to go back again on the desk. Then he gave me another room that the card wont work. To inconvenient. FO smokes too much weed. I checked in around 11:20pm

We visit family in Delray Beach pretty often, and we usually stay at a HGI that's closer to their house. But this time of year (Oct-April) is "Snowbird Season" so most hotels are price gouging during this season! Fortunately i found this place not far away, and reasonably priced. (We saved about $65 staying here!) The lobby was nice, and when you walk through the lobby you actually walk out a set of doors and go into an outdoor courtyard to get to the rooms which i wasn't expecting at all. It was kind of set up like a motel in that respect. The courtyard is nice and tropical looking though, and the pool is set off to the left. We had a room upstairs and our window overlooked the pool which was nice, except that you have to look over the walkway to see it from in the room. You can't have the curtains open unless you don't care if people see you when they walk past, lol. The room felt kind of old-fashioned, my husband said he felt like he went back to the 70's when he walked in. It had new carpeting, bedding and furniture and felt like it was updated, but the room layout just felt old and there was a popcorn ceiling in the main area and a drop ceiling in the vanity area. There was a free continental breakfast that was typical (cereal, pastries, yogurt, toast, bagels, sausage, eggs, & a waffle machine) in a small room, but we were very glad that they had it. Overall it was good, and I would stay again!

My husband and I stayed on a Friday night. The breakfast on Saturday morning was more than we could eat....waffles, eggs, bacon, pastries, bagels, cereal, etc. in some of the reviews it was mentioned that some rooms needed updating. Ours had been updated and was right in front of the pool. The bed was comfy and there were PLENTY of pillows! The parking is very weird but other than that, good stay for the price.

Room was clean but nothing special. Found the parking a little difficult. Used handicap but had to go thru two doors. Front desk and other employees were all okay. Breakfast was okay but noticed right at the time to end clean up was done. An okay place to stay.

Beds are always wonderful in this chain. The rest of our experience at this location was not great inc. fact that no one came in room to clean it while we were out! Carpet was old and we had issues with toilet and shower. Breakfast inc. was ok, not extensive. Not a good example of a good BW Plus!

this Best Western had it all....we were very surprised...!! this Best Western had great price , clean rooms ,very friendly and accommodating staff... ....and fresh cooked bacon for breakfast ! You will not be disappointed ....

Fast and friendly check in. Room is comfy, clean, safe and spacious ... I was pleasantly surprised about the size of the room. I tried to plug in my laptop near the table and the outlet was so loose it wouldn't hold the plug and it just fell out. There are outlets on the bedside lamp which I like, but I like the ones with USB plugin's as well - I am having to charge off my laptop. Also, no pen/notebook either - was happy to see a fridge and microwave, ect. The rooms, at least mine, faces a really nice courtyard which is nice and quiet - but I can't get my curtains to overlap and stay complete closed.

Truly enjoyed this location. Great eating places nearby. The courtyard area at this Best Western is WONDERFUL. I wish we had had time to just chill in the courtyard. The breakfast area looked great (but we slept in).

Property had recently had renovated. My room had new furnishings, newly painted, 40" Flat Screen TV and comfortable bedding. Bathroom separate from dressing area which is separate from bedroom area. I would stay here again. No Restaurant on property.

We stayed here for four weeks assisting an elderly family member with a problem. The rooms face an outside corridor and a busy street. It was often noisy. There were 3 police incidents during the time we spent. The housekeeping staff delights in pounding on the door to service the rooms. They were generally rude. We needed to be in the area, so we stayed but it was not what I would call "Plus."

We had an efficient, clean and comfortable stay at the BW University Inn. The outside appearance does not give a good impression, but once you pass into the interior, you'll find a tropical paradise with many trees and luscious plants, benches, tables and chairs. The pool is a good size and the breakfast varied and ample. The rooms and sink area appeared to have been recently updated, but the tub area was due for attention, but in good running order. Great wi-fi and huge flatscreen added to our comfort and enjoyment after a long day of travel.

I just stayed at this hotel last weekend. The only thing i noticed wrong was that the pool was empty so no swimming. I probably would not have gone swimming anyway but I could see some people traveling with kids being disappointed. Otherwise the room was decent, the wifi and cable tv worked, there is a hot shower and comfortable bed. I would stay here again, and probably will.

People are phony and unprofessional when there's a crowd in the lobby. wold not recommend this place to anyone and won't be staying there again either. General manager is very unprofessional and even yelled at me

Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Parking area is not great, but pool and interior grounds area is nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is convenient to restaurants and stores, and beach is not too far away - also, fairly close to FAU.

Desk staff (Michelle) was very nice and accommodating. Early check-in, housekeeping broke the security chain by mistake and it was promptly fixed. This is a courtyard style hotel with the pool in the middle. No restaurants onsite but free breakfast and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Overall, nice for the money <100.00

I needed a place to live in while getting my college formalities done. Best Western University Plus is a good bed & breakfast with good service. The staff is very friendly and approachable. Our stay was very comfortable.

A room with no access to open air, even a smoking room, with a glass wall facing the public access aisle from where people may look inside if you want to avoid to live with electric light; the lavatotry/wardrobe area with no door doesn't allow any privacy; lack of restaurant and poor breakfast. Fortunately the bed quality and the professional staff avoid a total disaster.

Enjoyed it all . The pool was very nice...staff was great and helpful. Would come back and stay again anytime. Loved the area and the beach. Had my g8 year old granddaughter with us and it was very safe and clean all was good.

The staff was out standing, breakfast was very good learned to make a fresh waffle. This A/C is not in the front window as a unit! They have a very quiet system running up in the ceiling over the bathroom. I sleep like a baby. No clunk on and off like the other hotels.

Very nice property. Well taken care of and close to shops and things to do. Beautiful plants all around and cheerful colors. This property is right off the main road. We had a room on the back side and it was perfectly quiet.

We stayed at this hotel with a group of dance families for our children's national competition at the nearby FAU. I'm a clean freak and always wipe down all room items with lysol wipes and spray linens. The carpet was dirty,but overall, everything was clean. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the staff was always willing to supply more items if necessary.

Things looked a little sketchy from the moment I checked in. There were a bunch of rowdy folks drinking around the pool and the cops were searching the grounds looking for an over-intoxicated guest. But, as tired as I was, I decided to see it through. Once I settled into my room I didn't notice any further commotion. The room appears very tired and worn out. This is an older motel with an interesting layout, but very reminiscent of a bygone era. I love the exterior landscaping, especially in the small courtyard north of the pool. The room furnishings are an eclectic mix of modern and outdated items. There is a TV, fridge, and microwave and a few frame-less abstract paintings on the walls. But the walls are pink, the doors and trim are a peach color, and the carpets, drapes, and bed coverings are a bizarre mix of browns, tans, gold and even burnt orange. Strange. There are water stains on the ceiling and the carpet is in desperate need of a good deep cleaning. Light switches are in odd places and sometimes difficult to locate. Some Best Western breakfasts offer a good variety of fresh meats and hot breakfast items; this is not one of them. There were powdered eggs and what looked like "brown and serve" bacon strips. The fresh fruit consisted of oranges. An assortment of fresh fruit options would have been nice. There was regular coffee, decaf, and hot water for tea or oatmeal (from instant packages), a couple of yogurt options, and several choices of cold cereal. But, it was the two waffle irons that saved the day for many of us. So, the breakfast was simply satisfactory. Nothing special - just filling. This seems to be a bit of a party hotel, and probably just what some college kids would be looking for during Spring Break. But, it's certainly not my cup of tea. Considering the caliber of some of this establishment's clientele, I'm really glad that I was alone this trip and not traveling with my family. I would have probably been concerned for their welfare. While I wouldn't rule it out completely, I will likely not stay here again.

I stayed here for a couple of days. It is comfortable and the rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and super generous with pillows. Must have had like 4 on my bed. Soups are kinda small so if you're someone who uses a lot of shampoo ,might need to ask for extra It s about a 15 minute walk to the Spanish River Beach, so definitely worth the walk and there's a good American Asian sushi fusion buffet called Santo's near by. The shuttle has to be requested ahead of time and costs money. You're better off walking to places or taking UBER POOL to be honest. The lobby has a strong chemical bleach smell that I was not a fan of, but at least you know it's clean. There's fruit infused waters at the entrance which seems to be a popular thing here in Boca Raton. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good considering it came with your room. You have your scrambled eggs and sausage. There's a waffle maker, juices, milks, and coffees. Some cereal and lots of oranges that were super sweet. There's also oatmeal for you to make your own too

The young man at check in on June 16 was very helpful in directing us to what was available in the area for dinner. He was very helpful in telling us about the area around Boca Raton, Fl. also. The breakfast was very good with eggs and sausage! Enjoyed the stay

What a surprise to find the accommodations up to superior standards. The beds were the best ever...so comfortable to fall right to sleep. The decor was above standard and the cleanliness of the room felt as though it was brand new. Everything was spotless.

I was looking for something without flying or driving too long for the memorial day weekend. I chose this location after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. The room was room upon check in courtesy front desk staff. We had room 211 clean and comfortable the beds just loved it. There hot tub is AWESOME!!! temp and size great...nice fitness work too. Breakfast items were fresh and hot items were hot that's a plus. One thing I did bring to the attention at my check out was that the pool needed to be clean the drains was clogged and the water was not draining out leaving film around the area. But all in all it was a good stay and I will return when I need to get getaway for a staycation like this one!

We were very pleased with our stay at this Best Western. Upon entering the lobby you are greeted with coffee in the morning and ice water the rest of the day, as well as free Newspapers. Room was clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful. The courtyard is pretty with tables for relaxing..Some of the rooms are off a separate small courtyard. If I had known i would have asked for this. Our room was on the second floor and although it was opposite the pool it was quiet. There is an elevator. They serve a very nice hot buffet breakfast with a good variety of choices. For us location was ideal since we were traveling back and forth between Fort Lauderdale and Boynton. It is minutes away from the beach.

My first time in Boca Raton. I visited in spring. The courtyard near the pool was beautiful. Very colorful and tropical feeling. Eventhough the trip was not for vacation, the courtyard and the outdoor pool made me feel a little like I was on vacation. Also, the staff was accomodating and friendly, especially housekeeping.

We had a big 80's concert in Boca, so we stayed overnight here. The hotel is cute, kept clean, and friendly staff. We had a toilet issue, but a staff member came and fixed it asap. I recommend it, great location for the price.

If I can rate a 0 I absolutely would!! We Had a very bad experience with the room we reserved. The bathroom was very unclean. I took pictures of the filth to show you how horrible it was. When I called front desk and explained the condition the bathroom was in; they told me if I want to leave, I should leave. Management told me that I had two options: 1. they can give me 10% off. 2. Or Leave. The lady whom I spoke with was extremely rude, she didn't have the audacity to send room service to clean the bathroom for an hour an a half.. This place needs to be shut down! I referenced the bar of soap the last guest used and was never cleaned and dried up meldew.... The scent in the room was absolutely nauseating! For your sake, keep driving!!!

Hotel is clean as well as the grounds are maintained. There is a hot tub for those who want to relieve tension after a long brisk walk on the beach nearby. The free breakfast was an additional plus, which was tasteful and kept well stocked.

The hotel was clean. Could use some a little improvements in their bathrooms ex: grouting around windows and floors needs to redone. Pool was great, clean and very well clorinated. Place was in a great area of North fed hwy around all good shopping.

Immaculately maintained property with extremely friendly and helpful staff. All the amenities that family members of all ages would need are here. The complimentary breakfast is of a high quality. The location of the hotel is great for beach access, restaurants, and checking out adjoining beach towns in Palm Beach County.

It was a pleasure for me to stay in this motel. It's conveniently located on US-1 with plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and they had a nice complimentary breakfast. Internet service was fast with no dropping of the signal. If I ever return to Boca Raton, I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel service was excellent. The accommodations were very good. We visit my 96 year old Dad about every 6 weeks and we plan to stay here on our next visit. The complimentary breakfast was very varied and quite tasty. Although we did not get a chance to use the pool and jacuzzi, they looked very inviting.

Arrived late at night after a 4+ hour flight delay. Man at the front desk starts by saying "Oh, you should have called. We probably cancelled your room." Looked in the computer and told me he could give me a room but couldn't promise a room with air conditioning. What? Nervously disappeared into the back and when he returned said they hadn't cancelled my room after all and my room did have A/C. I walk up to my room only to find that my key doesn't open the door to get to that section of the hotel. I start to walk back down to the lobby only to have the front desk man come barreling around the corner almost slamming into me. He wanted to check to make sure my room had air conditioning. He swiped me into the area of the hotel (ensuring my key was fine even after watching my key not open the door) and then followed me into my hotel room. He didn't say anything or ask if he could come up and he didn't turn on the lights or anything. It was very odd, and very creepy. Had I been a female alone I would have been extremely uncomfortable. Walking into the door you could clearly feel there was no A/C, and was told by this guy that this entire side of the hotel was lacking it. So why did he think my room would be different? I told him I needed to be given a room with A/C as well as my business colleagues I was traveling with or we would change hotels. I wanted a phone call to confirm the next day. No phone call came. When I returned to the hotel later that next night, the woman at the front desk laughed when I told her I had no air conditioning and that I would leave with the work people I had traveled with if our rooms weren't changed. She clicked around in the computer for about ten minutes before disappearing in the back a few times. Finally she returned with a hand written note with our new room numbers. That room had air conditioning, and was completely mediocre in every way. Last note about the hotel: on checking out, asked if the hotel was going to do anything to provide reimbursement for the fact they gave me a room with no air conditioning and didn't provide any advance notice they were having an issue. The front desk staff, three different people, were not able to provide any answer.

Our family has visited this hotel on many occasions through the years and continue to appreciate the value, comfort, breakfast, grounds, pool and hot tub! Front desk staff are always very helpful and professional. We have noticed continued updating of the rooms and the grounds are always lovely and well kept. Breakfast has always been very good and certainly anything you might want! Our only complaint was that the water was not as "hot" as I like in the shower, however another customer advised I just needed to ask to have the water adjusted by maintenance as they do this for safety reasons. Wifi was great in the room and had a nice office with computer and printer in the lobby that could also be used! Very nice hotel and plan to return again and again!

Stayed 5 nights at this comfortable hotel while attending events at the Boca Raton Resort. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There's free good quality wifi and the breakfast was very good. Overall it was a very good stay at this homely and decent hotel. There's lots of parking and grounds. It also has an outdoor pool

We were on something of a budget, and we were more than a little trepid about how the place would be for the price. We need not have been. It was exactly as described - clean, basic, efficient, with friendly staff. The breakfast is actually pretty good too, for the price you pay. Its pretty well located for a of couple bars and restaurants, though there really aren't too many. If you're on a budget and you want somewhere competent, consistent and clean, this place works.

We stayed one night on our way back from Keys to Ft Lauderdale airport. Pool was nice. Lobby, grounds, and room were spotless. Check-in staff friendly and courteous. Breakfast was not available at stated time, so we had to go to airport without.

Very nice place at a good price for the area. The front desk staff was very helpful. The location, while not waterfront is convenient. Nice pool area with towels available. Parking is free, but can be a bit inconvenient if you aren't lucky in getting a good space.

I have mixed feelings about my stay at Best Western University Plus. One of the big pluses is the friendliness and helpful attitude of the people who work there. Although the room was not fancy, it was quite adequate and had a comfortable bed. The refrigerator and microwave in the room were essential. It was good having a place to put some fresh fruit, water, milk, and cheese since the breakfast was not to my liking, although the waffles were good. The breakfast buffet included white bread, scrambled eggs, waffles, sausages, cereal, muffins, bagels, canned fruit, and oranges. The quality of the food made Denny's look like a gourmet restaurant. The water, in the breakfast room, for tea was brown and smelled like coffee. Some people might like the breakfast, but I have to admit that I like fresh, well prepared, high quality food. A car is a necessity when staying at the Best Western, since it is difficult to get around without one in Boca Raton. There is a small shopping center about a half mile away. There are restaurants across the road, but the nearest traffic light is about a half of a mile away which makes it hazardous to cross the road. Although the hotel advertises wifi, the wifi is mostly nonexistent. A lot of the time I had to use the data on my phone to access the Internet.

From the front desk to the breakfast service was first class. the polo area was clean, heated, and we had a relaxing swim. We always stay here before setting off the next morning for the cruise port in Fort Lauderdale.

The bed was absolutely wonderful. The room was clean and roomy. Vanity and sink were outside the bathroom. Coffee in the room and WiFi came in the price. The pool looked wonderful. It was large and looked to be very well maintained. Unfortunately we were too beat to take advantage of it. The front desk had a comparison chart of what other lodging in the area was priced at and this one was $25 and more less. The check in was very efficient and we were given the AARP ten percent discount in spite of not having the card with us. We would definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at the best western in boca raton. The gardens were beautiful and very peaceful. I sat on the benches soaked up the sun and read my book. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large and comfortable. The price was much more reasonable than other hotels in the area. I will be back

Everything was fine except that some to the things hadn't been updated and you could tell that they were old. The breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, toast, fruit ,yogurt. The fire alarm kept going off in the breakfast room but that was a minor annoyance.

A very nice, clean place to stay over night before our cruise. We had very comfortable beds and it was quiet and had friendly people working there. A very nice breakfast area and a good selection of items. We would stay there again if we were in the area.

Best Western has very beautiful landscape when you walk through the garden. We enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi. Our room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful at the front desk and at breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast. Hot foods and cold foods were available. I would definitely stay there again.

room not made up till mid-late afternoon. No restaurant or bar in hotel. Pool abuts parking lot and major roadway with noise of traffic passing by all the time. No refuse bins in/around pool area or near elevator. Very distracting. Breakfast included. Placement of items in very cramped space.Staff very friendly.

The actual rooms at this location are well kept and comfortable. However, on this occasion the AC in our rooms were not working, which led to a lot of back and forth with the front desk and switching rooms in the middle of the night. The staff overall made a bad situation worse by having an apathetic attitude. Not happy, especially given the high room rates ($175/night). I left feeling like I wasted a ton of money - not a great takeaway.

Our stay here was very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and décor of the room. It was updated and nicely appointed. Yes, the building shows signs of it being older -- bathroom is quite small but workable. But the grounds were nice; the pool was perfect; the breakfast was the typical scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, make-your-own waffles, etc, but everything was nice. It was quiet. No it is not on or super close to the beach, but it's only a few minutes drive. I would stay here again.

Very poor breakfast, rooms where you could not stop air conditioned, one person at reception with many tourist waiting and queuing for check in, it is possible to find much better hotels at the same cost

Excellent hotel. Had a wonderful stay. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Breakfast had a nice variety of items and was nicely prepared. Nice bed and the internet worked well. Strongly recommend.

We stayed here for 5 nights for our first major vacation with our 15 month old. We had a wonderful stay. The staff all went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, especially the maintenance and housekeeping staff. The breakfast was wonderful and such a great feature, easy and saved us the cost and hassle of figuring out where to get coffee and eat every morning. The courtyards are lovely and a covered pavilion with a fountain was a great place to gather and let our son walk around (it is designated as a smoking area, but there were rarely any smokers there.) We made good use of the pool and hot tub as well. The room was spacious with lots of storage and a mini fridge and microwave, and lots of thoughtful little details. The free wifi was also a big perk. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, and we will try to stay here again when we return to the area to visit family.

Pros: comfortable bed, good breakfast, nice grounds, ,friendly staff. Older but generally clean. Cons: bathroom window with some mold. Bathroom door jam wood was rotted, and renovation of rug to bathroom was poorly done. Pool could use improvement and greenery to buffer A1A traffic noise.

A motel setting quiet and comfortable with a very good and complete egg and sausage breakfast. Met the owner in the access way and he was very helpful and caring about our comfort. Couldn't do enough. Front desk helped with Internet access, which was a great help.

This is a hotel that wants to please and offers to do, help, get anything you need to make your stay comfortable. I had a great room on 1st floor 312, close to the back entrance made it easy to unload luggage, was nice & clean and both my daughter and I thought the beds were very comfortable. Location is excellent.

Hotel was great for the price. The area is super expensive, but this hotel offered such a great value for those on smaller budgets. It is not a new hotel, but it is very well kept, clean, and really nice. If you want a new hotel, pay the hundred dollars extra and get what you want. Hotel worked perfect for my budget. Breakfast was really good as it was a typical hotel breakfast with eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, muffins, danishes and more. All the employees were really nice and helpful. The gardens are beautiful. I'd comeback if in the area.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 5 winters. It is great. The price was appropriate compared to my other options around. The hotel has really improved over the years and renovated most of the property. I read some of the other reviews on this site, and I don't know where they come from. I don't think the hotel outdated and old because it is remodeled as I have witnessed it remodeled during the last several years. This is not a new hotel, but maybe more motel like since the room doors open to the courtyard on some rooms. I feel the price reflects it being an older hotel but it is still a great deal.

Although a dated looking property/style, it was well maintained and served its purpose as a hotel for family trip during winter break. There was a pool, breakfast, fitness center and laundry. Location is excellent as i95 is less than 5 mins away and there are restaurants and shops (publix) nearby

Other than the allergies to whatever allergens were floating around the experience was pleasant. The staff was friendly and the buffet continental breakfast was satisfying. The property was clean. The cost was a bit high for one night.

What a dump. The entire hotel inside and out smelled like an ashtray. The place was probably built in the 60's and seriously needs updating. The doors to the room push out.You can barely stand in the bathroom. The carpet was all stained and full of burn marks. My wife and I had to check out after 1 nightand didn't stick around to even shower. Got up and got the heck out. No soap in the bathroom, door keys didn't work after resetting them 3x. The photos online are either false or maybe 1 room was updated for the website, either way mine was a dump. I stay in hotels 200+ nights a year , but never again will I stay at a Best Western. THE PLACE SHOULD BE CONDEMNED AND THE OWNERS HOTEL LICENSE REVOKED. WORST HOTEL EVER

We have stayed at this hotel twice now. Both times we were satisfied with the accommodations. The hotel is old but well kept. The price was good compared to other hotels in the area. The free breakfast was adequate.

Booked 2 rooms next to each other as we were traveling with our son, daughter in law and 3 month old grandson. One of the rooms had no AC. The crib for the infant was unusable! Although they changed our room, we were no where near the other room. Coffee in lobby ran out - never refilled. Parking was so limited due to repaving of their lot that we had to make a spot on the grass. We left the next morning. Stayed at Seagate for remaining 2 nights. Expensive but just amazingly fabulous!

Ok so here is my take on what makes this a Best western PLUS. One, you get a room PLUS it smells musty. Two, you get a room PLUS it feels like you've traveled back to the early Seventies by the looks of the decor. Third, the overgrown foliage in the court yard is a definite PLUS. And finally, if your really lucky you get to park near the street so your car is totally safe(not) or the real PLUS, you get in later so that you get to walk to the front doorway from down the street in an even less secure area. I think there should be a Best Western Minus and this place would be the standard for that namesake.

Winter rates in Boca are OBSCENE!! this was a "reasonable" rate @ $158. Room was very average. Beds: semi-firm. Pillows: chopped foam. Glad I had my own. Breakfast included, but food was under-done. Showered but felt I needed another one. Not sure if it was the soap, or the water. Stayed here twice in past year. There will not be a third time. When in Boca, be willing to spend a bit more and upgrade

Very well maintained hotel. Nice pool and inner courtyard, as stated by other reviewers the self-serve breakfast has a good selection of items. Great location not far from Delray, Boca and Palm Beaches....Unless you need to walk across the street the beach and need luxury hotel services, this is a fine place to stay if you are going to be out most of your days golfing, on the beach,sightseeing or exploring the area for a few days. Service level is good, only less than solid area is less than perfect internet connectivity. Oh and I don't normally write these kind of reviews, but felt the staff here deserved recognition for their hard work and attention to detail.

The University Best Western is conveniently located on the Federal Hwy #1 in Boca Raton. It is handy to everything! The hotel has free parking, comfortable rooms, and a full breakfast. I especially like the gardens, the pool, and the hot tub. Although the hotel has renovated, the rooms still feel a bit 'tired' out, but the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is fine--there is certainly enough to eat, and the room is nice. It is the best deal around in Boca Raton.

My wife and I spent almost three delightful weeks at this facility in January 2016. The staff was pleasant, helpful and always ready to help with anything from moving our (considerable) luggage to recommending a good movie. From our experience, there is usually one small thing that could be better, but not on this trip. The room was large and clean. The towels were plentiful and exceptionally soft (for a motel.) Everything worked in the room, and as an added bonus (for me) the table lamps had built-in outlets for a charger and my CPAP machine. I didn't have to move beds to find an outlet. There were always fresh newspapers in the lobby and a small selection of goodies for sale to snack on. The breakfast was a cut above the DIY offerings usually found, with HOT scrambled eggs and breakfast meats,make your own waffles, and the usual breads, bagels and small pastries. All-in-all, we will definitely be back when the situation allows.

I think the Quality Inn nearby had a lower price shown online. The Best Western price when I got to the desk was a little more than the prices shown online but with AAA and frequent stayer discounts, the price came down.

A great place to stay for a couple of nights. The room what spacious and clean. It had been 90% updated with modern finishes - the bathroom could use an updated tub, but clean and in good repair just the same. It's what you'd expect from a quality Best Western establishment. We were a little challenged to find a place to eat within walking distance at 4pm, but we ended up finding a fantastic English pub about a 5 minute walk up the road. We'd stay again

I just had a very mixed experience at this hotel. Here's what happened. I arrived as scheduled and although I booked a King, i was switched to a queen. The front desk guy told me to call back at 10pm to see if anyone canceled. I reviewed my reservation to see that I did book a King. I called him. He called his manager as there is often only one person working in the evening. He called me back and told me that there were A/C issues in some of the rooms and to talk to the manager tomorrow. He then called me a little before 11pm to check on me. The next day I talked to the manager. She told me she'd take $5 off my bill for the price difference. She also told me they'd move my stuff to the new room, and to come back that night for the new key. I did return that evening with my stuff pleasantly moved and had a spacey king room. The next day it was pouring rain, and neither of my key cards worked. I was looked out, getting drenched, holding a laptop and food. I was very far from the lobby so I called and Alex, the guy from the first night, told me he'd come get me right away. Ten minutes later he didn't show. I called again, and after my call was constantly put on hold music he nervously picked up. He told me he's with people but he will come right now. Fifteen minutes pass. I finally go to the front desk extremely annoyed. He's still there. He's helping people but I don't understand why he didn't tell me to go to the lobby and told me just to wait. He nervously makes me a key card and I returned to my room. I filed a complaint with corporate who assured me a manager would call. No one ever did so far and I checked out this morning. The girl at the desk was polite and told me she would make note of my complaint from Alex. So what are the pros? The upper rooms are spacey. For a hotel, it's relatively quiet. I did hear some yelling going on at 2am one night and some kids yelling, but overall, it was okay. Even if you get a room near the gym or the entrance to the upper level, you probably won't hear a lot of noise in your bed. Also, some of the customer service people are fairly nice. What are the cons? Besides mixed customer service, the rooms are dated and overdue for a remodel. There were also bugs in the light fixtures. Also, the desk was often unoccupied in the evening. I understand that towards the evening the staff need dwindles, but I wouldn't anticipate that around 5:30/6pm. Also, more training in customer service should be required. I was extremely distressed about someone insisting I wait in the rain and him never showing.

Great attitude by all staff. Breakfast was great. Good variety, not crowded, food was fresh. Upon checkout, owner was there and went out of his way to make sure everything went well with our stay. Felt comfortable that had there been any problems, they would have made sure to correct them.

Aside from the breakfast & gym in repair for part of my stay, I loved this place. Great location, minutes from Mizner, upscale outdoor shopping mall with free parking. Boca Museum has Jazz concerts 2nd Thursday night every month, $5 & not to be missed. Bed very comfortable, room pleasant and quite clean. The breakfast was just average. Coffee poor. Eggs tasteless. Oatmeal in a package. In fairness I cannot eat citrus including pineapple, and only other fruit was canned pairs.

Hotel was fine except for the lack of internet in the room. All of the other service was okay; we ate nothing during the stay….there was a slight musty/mildew smell in the hall but the room was fine. Fridge made a consistent muted rattle.

My wife & I stay here once each year on the way to Marathon FL. We find the staff helpful and friendly. For its location the cost per night is a good value. The rooms are large and we find the beds comfortable. We meet Louis the manager twice while there. He is always approachable.

Nothing bad to say here although seems like hotel prices are getting bigger everywhere. This hotel is clean and relaxing. Good location and staff very nice. The breakfast has scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon and most of the usual other items, only thing missing was fresh fruit. The bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Nice atrium with lots of plants. The internet was very good. The hotel has locked gates to get in and felt very secure. Plenty of parking around entire hotel.

I traveled to Boca on business, so my employer booked this location. At first, I was not happy because as a woman traveling alone, I do not stay in motels that have rooms with exterior doors, which the majority of these rooms were. However, when I asked if there were any interior rooms accessible only from a hallway, there were such rooms and I was placed in one. It was very clean and comfortable, but not beautiful. The view from the window was covered by a large exterior shutter, which blocked an ugly view of a nearby building and highway. The courtyard was pretty and the staff were very pleasant. The room had a big TV, microwave, hairdryer, sizable refrigerator, coffeemaker, free Wifi, and complimentary bottled water and snacks. All-in-all, it was clean, comfortable and I felt safe, so I slept well. A co-worker was booked at a very fancy hotel a couple of miles away, (all rooms there were booked, thus I didn't get a room at that hotel) but he woke up to find cockroaches--that's right, more than one--in his fancy room. My room at the Best Western wasn't fancy, but it was bug free.

Close to the beach and great food. Michelle the assistant manager is very helpful and efficient. The breakfast is decent and the lady who runs it sweet and quick. The houskeepers are friendly and fast. Great stay!

It's a very nice hotel and it has great surroundings. It has a lot of greenery outside the breakfast area with tables and chairs ideal for people who prefer to have their breakfast outside and under a shade! The swimming pool and open air jacuzzi are great. The only downturn is that we can't leave our room doors opened for a little while to let the fresh air in and avoid the air conditioning for that time as the doors have door closers on them.

We called ahead to make sure the hot tub was up and running and the gym would be open and the pool was good to go.YES ! YES ! YES ! Was what we were told.We have been driving for 3 days coming from San Francisco Ca On our way to Key west.We Have Best western free nights cause thats the only hotel we stay at cause there realy nice with pool, hot tub and a nice gym ha ha so we thought.We check in and we want to hit the gym and walk the treadmill,HA HA this is when we should've left.The gym Equipment was what i seen on the Jack LaLanne show when i was little oooo my God .So we just laughed and did our best to stay focused and get a little work out in.Wires were hanging out of the bike,treadmill but still worked.ha ha.Then we went back to the room and after checking in there were locals eating and drinking beer standing waist deep in the pool.4 adults.So after our work out and showered we headed to the pool and hoy tub area.HOLY COW walking up to the pool the water was green and the 4 Latinos were still standing and drinking beer in the pool.ha ha never got out looked for wet foot prints were none .so there peeing in the pool for the 2 hours that we first seen them in the pool.and they were working on a 18 pack of Modelo beer and looked to be a few in the box.The hot tub was not working so i turned the knob and nothing.ha ha why .We looked at each other and said we've been duped.HA HA Why was we lied to just be honest and we would've got a nother BW futher down the road.I have been to 3 rd world countries me and my wife and there were better hotels in Vietnam in the Jungle that were nicer than this piece of poop.Very disappointed.Well live and learn.SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOLE SLEEP IN YOUR CAR.

Wonderful grounds with tropical landscaping, a nice pool and clean quiet rooms with amenities that work. Breakfast is more than enough with a good variety. Friendly and helpful staff. Have stayed here before and will return again.

The room was clean and spacious. It could comfortably host 4 adults (2 parents and 2 kinds (teens). Breakfast was slightly better compared to what is offered in comparable accommodation facilities, but guests had to ask for breakfast items which were finished, as restocking on the buffet was quite slow.

We enjoyed our stay. We especially liked the complimentary treats that were in our room upon arrival. It was also nice to have a good breakfast. The Best Western was convenient to FAU Stadium where we attended the Bowl Game between Temple and Toledo.

Considering it was Boca the hotel was very reasonably priced. The room was very clean and well decorated. The courtyard and pool were well kept and the free breakfast was excellent. The staff was very helpful and friendly

We had a double queen room and it was on the ground floor right across from the pool. We thought the inner courtyard looked nice and gave the hotel a nice feel. The room looked good and was clean, the bed was nice. The bathroom and the dressing area were a little small but had everything we were looking for. When we decided to stay two nights instead of one, we got the second night for the same rate as the first one. The breakfast was not so special. We actually didn't get anything other than coffee and gor our own breakfast. When i wanted to use the treadmill i was disappointed that it didn't work. Another one was folded and set a side with a sign that it was out of order. So i asked the front desk if they could do something about it. The manager was there and walked with me to the gym area. He agreed with me that it was broken too but could not help me to an affiliated gym nearby. He told me that they had ordered new treadmills but that didn't help me much at that moment. We did get 10% discount of our total bill over this so that was nice. This hotel is not close to the beach, it is on a buzzy road but since we were at the back our room was quiet. I don't know ho that is for the rooms at the front of the hotel.

I loved it . The staff is very friendly . Very clean rooms . I wanted to come in earlier then my check in time .The manager was on it . The staff was always asking if we needed anything . Very comfortable loved the pool . It was a quiet area and I got my rest .

Stayed here before a cruise out of Port Everglades. The property is obviously old but it is charming and well maintained. We especially appreciated the great landscaping, park-like atmosphere, and nice resort pool. Room was clean and large. Hotel was quiet despite being right next to a main highway. Breakfast was typical for the brand but very good. Staff was polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Incidentally, it is hard to believe that the reviewer, "Shocked," actually stayed here.

The hotel was very clean, very large room liked the layout, it was different than most rooms. The grounds had a very "Flordia" feel about it. The breakfast room was small but had a lovely patio area you could eat in. Would stay again.

Overall I had a very good experience. The staff was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a nice full hot breakfast. The hotel was close to many tourist spots (Gumbo Limba is a must see). The price was great.

This location was dirty, not maintained, and very disappointing. The pictures do not portray the way the Hotel really is. Room was dirty and smelled horrible. After notifying Best Western Corporate, only to find out they did not care. This experience has detoured us from ever staying at a Best Western again.

This hotel is tucked right in with its surroundings which makes it seem far from a hotel, almost like a condo complex. The grounds are very well taken care of, it's like being in a tropical garden. The room was very quiet, very well taken care of with very comfortable beds. There's more than enough food for breakfast with standard fare, eggs, sausage, waffles & bagels. We hope to stay here again soon!

While this is an older property, it is well maintained. The rooms are clean, the furniture is new, it has all the amenities; flat screen TV, fridge, micro wave, iron, hair dryer. The breakfast is standard for a BW. The pool is large and clean. Very welcome after a hot day and virtually no one in it since most of the guests are on business and don't have time. might be different during school vacations.

Came down last minute for one night great price...room was much nicer than i would have expected for $85...double doors nice flat screen tv. Room was clean customer service was good. Would definitely return

The complete staff were great to deal with but the front desk person Anna was fantastic she went out of her way to help us more then once. We arrived early and knew we would not be able to check in but I just like to let them know we had arrived. I told Anna we would drive around for awhile and check in later and she told that she would be more then happy to give us a call and let us know our room was ready, which she did. She was even more help when we were looking for the Chamber office she was nice enough to look up address and she gave some good recommendations on places to eat at. She was just SUPER GREAT to deal with.

One of the better 4 star hotels in Florida if you have a short stay. Breakfast value is good for the amount you spend. Use hotel pool. Never crowded. Staff is helpfull. Easy checking in and out. Don't forget to ask for pool towels at the desk.

I made my reservation online the day I needed the room. The instant I hit the "submit" button, I realized it recorded the following day. The computer had "jumped" me to the next day because the night I was trying for was full. So, I immediately called reservations, and they told me there was nothing they could do because it was within their three day no-change policy. They suggested I call the hotel, which I did. The desk said (rudely) I had to talk to the manager, who was not available, so there was nothing they could do and I should call customer service the next day. I did. They told me there was nothing they could do because I made the erroneous reservation within their three-day cancellation policy and it was not their policy to correct guests' mistakes with online reservations. Bottom line: they refused to correct an honest mistake made by a customer due to their computer program, and treated me rudely along the way. I have avoided Best Westerns in the past because their facilities are usually run-down and dirty, and with this experience I will never book with them again.

Stayed here for a night after coming off a cruise in Fort Lauderdale. Lovely surroundings with nice pool and garden. Comfortable beds. Standard breakfast and very nice lady supervising it. Front desk staff very helpful. I mentioned upon checkout that the room thermostat was possibly not working properly and the manager on duty made a note of this and would follow up immediately. Very efficient.

We came down for a four day trip for a wedding. I am not a great planner and booked the room less than a week before arriving. The check in was painless, our room was ready when we arrived. There was plenty of parking, the front desk attendant let us know where the best place was to park for easier access to our room. The room was clean and had everything stocked as expected. I liked having an interior room, the room was always nice and cool. The bed was really comfortable, I prefer more pillows, but I was fine with what was given. The pool and hot tub were clean. I took advantage of the free breakfast every morning. Everything was always fully stocked, coffee was hot, the only complaint would be to have hot sauce for the eggs b/c they were really bland. the location is A+++++++ You're close to everything, it is safe, and there are plenty of amenities within walking distance.

Our stay was very good. The check-in, check-out was speedy. Staff was personable. Breakfast was good for me, but my wife has Celiac and her choices were limited. Recommend addition of a few more gluten free breakfast items. Kingsize bed was very comfortable. Overall room was clean. Wifi was fast enough.

U yeah after a bad day in the boca inn hotel, i came to best western they treat you good with a nice people a customer service. this place is nice place to stay the pool very clean nice people there. we have so much fun. Next vacation that will be my hotel.to stay.

I am not giving this 5 stars because we had a reservation well in advance for a king room. Our friends did too. Neither one of us got one. However , there are many good things to say- the room was very quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was new, the towels were cushy, and the breakfast was good! They had complimentary snacks & water, also!! The good definately outweighed the bad!! Also, it was a very good value!

This hotel was at a great location. Most of the room was updated but the bathroom definitely was NOT. Comfortable and a good value for sure! Nice pool and hot tub. The hotel was safe and secure just needs updating.

We have stayed here twice now, and recommend it as an affordable, clean option for FAU families. The outdoor pool and hot tub are really nice and well-maintained. The rooms are older, but are clean, and the beds/bedding/pillows are very comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance, if need be, to stores and restaurants, and a short (10 minutes, tops) drive to campus or the beach. Only cons: breakfast is less varied than some other Best Westerns, and the tap water has a sulfurous odor/taste, but I think that's the case throughout Boca.

Noticed an additional $200 charge on our credit card just hours after check-out. Called to inquire and was told that the charge was for a red stain on the carpet. We went back to inspect the stain. It was obviously old. While the staff stood over me, I took a clean, wet hand towel and dabbed the stain. Showed the staff that there was old dirt on the rag. Nothing from the stain appeared on the rag. The staff member showed the rag to the GM and he focused on the fact that the rag was dirty and not that the stain was old. He marched away refusing to address the old stain and continued with wanting to charge us for it.
