Best Western Plus Bloomington Hotel

Great for kids and family. Pool was what drew us in and the kids loved it. Family friendly, staff were great, breakfast was good, and we didn't have any issues with our stay. Probably not as fancy as the hotels attached to the mall, but great value for what you get, especially if you have kids!

I've never written a bad hotel review before but had to this time. I stayed here with my 2 boys. The pool wasn't open, which was a main attraction for us. Someone from the hotel did call earlier that day to let me know, but it was too late to re-book. We had a poolside room, and there were bright lights from there lighting up the room all night, even with the drapes shut. The front desk staff said he did not know how to turn them off. The next morning I went to work out in the fitness center, but the lights in there didn't work. The manager could not figure out how to turn them on, so I had to work out using my phone flashlight. Finally, we were relaxing in the room and saw a MOUSE RUN ACROSS THE FLOOR. They gave us a different room after that. I understand issues come up. I asked for some type of reimbursement, mainly for the pool closure, but they denied the request (both when I asked the manager directly and when a request was put in through hotels.com). I'll never stay at a Best Western again.

The owner of this hotel double charged my credit card and when confronted with the double charge on the folio, he insisted it wasn't the case even though it was his hotel's folio. I clearly used a BW gift card earned from a BW promotion on the BW website at time of reservation, and he insisted I booked on Expedia and they would not accept any gift card. As soon as I complained to BW customer service, they called him, and he did a 180 saying he saw the gift card and would reimburse me. It was at most 5 minutes between my call to the hotel and my call to customer service , where they called him, so there's no way he was telling the truth to me. Stay away or you might be cheated too. Be diligent in checking your credit card charges after leaving this place if you have to stay.

First the front desk is not overly welcoming. The rooms are very dark and not all the lights worked. The pool was closed which was not advertised they said they sent an email however I check my emails and junk daily and never got one I also serched for it and not in there. I even checked website and best western site for pool closure because I was willing to pay more for the pool and was never mentioned it was going under maintance, this is a scheduled service and should be told to guest or rooms discounted I could have stayed closer to our destination and paid less for a better room.

Was a disaster from the beginning. Checked into the hotel. Went to our room and the room was not ready for us! Trash was everywhere extension cords, running out of one room into ours. The bed was not made and the bathroom was trashed! So they moved this to another room. Got to that room, and the air conditioner was not working.! What a disaster. Ended up leaving our room door open in the area where the pool was. Just a cooler room off somewhat. Got out the next day. The breakfast was average. This hotel was a disaster from the beginning. just wanted to get out of there and get on with our trip. We never stay at the best Western ever again. They should do better !

Our room had garbage in the bathroom from previous stay, half the lights not working, and looked like mold at bottom. Beds were very hard and hotel was shaped like a huge H so when you park in the back and none of the card readers actually work, I always had my husband let me out at the front and walked through the entire thing and up to the second floor to let them in so we could get a parking spot. If any kind of event is going on it will be severely crowded and full so hard to enjoy. The only plus is proximity to MOA if you are in town for that, otherwise I would not recommend. Staff at check in and trying to keep breakfast full was very nice. Lines for a 10-20 minute waffle…not so great either.

Rooms were dirty and out of date. Bathrooms were disgusting. Pool area did not have working lights and they had to put out standing yard lights. Pool was very disgusting as well. We were given a pole to lock our room because the lock on our door didn't work. Do not come here lots of fake 5 star reviews! This place is a rip off.

The absolute worst customer service we have ever experienced. We were planning to stay 2 nights with our family visiting the Mall of America ahead of flying out of MSP and utilizing the park and fly. Night one was good other than the hotel is a bit dated. While in our room 2246 getting ready to go out to dinner on night 2, a MOUSE came out from under one of the queen beds in our room and ran around before returning under the bed platform. We immediately called the front desk explaining our issue and unfortunately they did not seem very excited or concerned about the issue. They did offer for us to switch rooms, but we would have to move all of our luggage to the front desk first, then be relocated to a different room. We asked for them to bring keys to the different room to us to move our luggage, then we would go to the front desk to fill out their paperwork. They agreed to bring keys to us, but after 20 mins of them not bringing us the keys we went to the front desk. When talking to the lead manager exclaiming that we had a rodent in our room and it was unacceptable and we would not be paying for our stay he exclaimed to us "you will be paying for your stay, there is no reason for us to compensate you, we offered you another room". We disputed it was not ethical for us to pay for accomodations with a rodent in the room. He stated "there was no way that I could prove there was a rodent in our room" and he was unwilling to accomodate us whatsoever. We offered to bring him to the room and show him the mouse living under the bed platform, but his response was "there will be no need". Ultimately, he gave us the option of moving to a different room and paying full price for both nights or leaving the property. When we stated that we would not pay full price since there was a rodent in our room he threatened to call security if we did not leave the hotel immediately. We left the hotel and took our business to Marriott while paying full price for a room we did not stay in at the Best Western. Very disappointed in the lack of ethics and customer service at this hotel. We will be filing a report with corporate.

Stay away! I was terrified when checking in late, as there were random men hanging around the hotel and following me to my room. The room was dirty, and my bed had stains on the blanket. Breakfast was very weak and had very minimal options. I would spend more money and stay somewhere else.

We decided to stay here versus a hotel directly attached to the mall thinking our kids would love the pool. We couldn't have been more disappointed! I would never ever get a pool side room. Even the hallway was noisy from the pool area. Clearly this is where the locals rental a room and then throw their kids birthday parties! There were at least 8 birthday parties happening in the pool area on a Saturday night. Despite being given a wrist band at check in, they mean nothing! There were kids running, screaming, pushing, shoving and no parents or staff to be seen. The only staff was the one poor girl manning the busy desk and a uniformed staff changing out towels. Our kids were beyond disappointed that the pool area wasn't even enjoyable because it was taken over by all the kids who knew each other. Kid were running up and down the halls shouting. There were mobs of parents at the end of the night clearly thanking the hosts as they collected their kids at the pool closing time. The rooms were just okay but showing their age. Breakfast was just okay. Do yourself a favor if you have kids and stay somewhere attached to the mall, the pool here is not worth it!

When I stayed here they double billed sundry items, took extra payments on the credit card and absolutely refused to fix the issue. filed a complaint with the BBB and the hotel refused to respond to them, has to file a complaint with my credit card company. NEVER EVER use the sundry room at this hotel

Don't expect much and you'll have a great stay. Breakfast area is average, but unclean and you may eat with staff and their families. Pool area is an awesome concept and layout but rules are not monitored so we got to enjoy the hot tub with some drunk guests. Room was nice...but they couldn't properly fix the bath tub...so we stood in 2-3 inches of water for showers, and this left a residue after a couple days. Careful in the hallways...carpet needs a complete overhaul. Tripping hazard everywhere you go. Exercise room would have been awesome if the items actually were operational. Many did not function at all. And bring your credit card....they do NOT accept cash.

The hotel was very clean and smelled good. The staff was friendly and helpful, I always felt heard and taken care of. The breakfast was good, the pool area was large and great. Our room had a very comfortable bed, a fridge and microwave. They are so close to the MOA, and have the option to take a quick shuttle trip or a convenient walk over. Also the airport shuttle was super convenient.

I booked this hotel online the day of my stay, as I was passing through the Minneapolis/St. Paul area on my way home. The photos of the hotel combined with the several recent 5-star reviews led me to believe this hotel would be an acceptable place to spend the night. I did not have high expectations, given how dated the hotel appeared in photos, but did expect this to be a clean, comfortable place to stay. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was overwhelmed by the stench of cheap cologne. Walking through the halls, admiring the stretched and rippled carpet, I caught wisps of vanilla air fresheners among the very musty smell that persisted. I was hit with the same musty odor as well the moment I entered my room, which made the room feel unclean. The room I was placed in faced the parking lot and highway. The window did open, which I had never seen in a hotel before. There was no screen present, and the window failed to properly lock. This would have not been a big deal had I been placed on the second floor, but it felt incredibly unsafe. I gave the room a once over, trying to find some redeemable quality, but the state of the bathroom only furthered my discomfort. I did not want to stay here, but given I had booked online and was not able to cancel my reservation, I spoke with the front desk about changing rooms to a poolside room without exterior windows for my own comfort and safety. This was $40+ more expensive, but the only option as I could not cancel and find another place to stay. The poolside room felt safer, but it was filled with the same odor. The state of the bathroom was identical to the first room, with mold growing along every crevice and seam. The water to the room weather from the sink or shower would not get hot even after running for 10+ minutes. Had I not dipped in the hot tub, I would not have even attempted to shower given the mold. I was not comfortable running the air either, as the venting appeared visibly blackened, whether by dirt or by mold. Checking out, I was again overwhelmed with the stench of cheap cologne despite different staff present up front. This is a dated, dingy, dirty hotel, using vanilla air fresheners and cheap cologne in an attempt to mask the severe musty odor the persists throughout the building. I could have spent less to stay elsewhere, and I regret the time and money I wasted here. This hotel needs serious renovation before I would ever consider stepping foot inside again. Reading through the reviews on TripAdvisor, you will see the same response provided by “management”. Repeating the same empty apology followed by the same claim that they've never received any complaints despite there being several in recent months. There is clearly no genuine intention to resolve any of the issues with the smell, the cleanliness, or the mold present at this establishment.

Drain plug knob completely came off, I tried putting it back on and turned it to fill the tub for my toddler and it wouldn't turn back so my older daughters and I had to stand in bath of water to shower. Fridge didn't get cold enough, wouldn't keep my daughters 16th Birthday icecream cake cold so it melted. AC not working well. Lamp shade fell off right away when I turned the lamp on. Shower curtain was torn. Sink in bathroom clogged. Phone not working to call anywhere, even front desk. Wi-Fi not working. Room service was in our room changing out garbages, restalking soaps etc. while we were still in the room and packing up our things (9am) and check out time wasn't until 11am. Ice machines not working. Front desk took down this information and said that the manager would get ahold of me that day to get a reimbursement but no email or call. Tried emailing and calling a couple times to speak with the manager about our experience and received no response

Stayed here on business and man it was pretty amazing. Nicely decorated interior, comfortable bed and room, pool and fitness center not disappointing at all, breakfast is better than most and housekeeping kept me how I keep me. Of course, staying longer than usual you'll usually run into issues. I had ONE issue that was quickly and pleasantly resolved by Tierra, one of the front desk agents. I will stay here when I return and I highly recommend lodging here when your companies buck has to bang. Thanks, BW Bloomington!

The hotel staff is super friendly along with the front desk. We reported an issue with our room and they took care of it by moving us to a new room. We would definitely come back and stay again! We plan on bringing friends next time and staying longer.

We found bedbugs in our room on night 4 of our stay. We were moved rooms but offered no compensation for drying all our stuff. Left all our suitcases and non dryable things behind. Manager refunded us for 1 night of the stay, but charged us for all the rest, including the 2 nights we left early. Hotel is quite rundown, hallways smell like weed and the carpet is all ripped up. We will never stay with a Best Western in the US again!

Gross, I stayed only because of the water park as I have children, the room I started with smelled of mildew , the second room wasn't much better , the chairs that are in the breakfast area are also disgusting. Walking around the room, the floors felt like wet carpet . Very dirty I think. I won't be back here . Like I said only went cause of the water park. For the price I paid. Wasn't worth it . Over $200 for one night… nope never again

Just ok. Hotel is outdated. Room felt damp and bathroom had mould. Walking distance to the Mall of America was the only plus for us. Hotel is massive so breakfast time was way too busy to even bother. Would probably not stay there again. I would pay a little more to stay at a nicer hotel. Lesson learned.

This Hotel was very convenient for staying at as we were visiting the Mall of America. TGI Fridays was next door as well as IHOP. The beds were comfy. The price was good. Most of the staff was friendly and accommodating! Just be careful which room you get because the air conditioning venting system in some rooms make a high pitched ringing noise... we had to switch rooms because of this. Otherwise everything else was great!

Stayed here because it's close to the airport...happy to find out it's next door the Mall of the Americas. We had some time to kill and had a good visit and meal there. The place is not new...but well maintained and comfortable

Conveniently located across from the Mall of America. Front desk service is very helpful. The pool area is a good place to relax and have fun with the games with lots of sitting area. Breakfast was good but always busy with long line ups for the waffle station. The rooms are well cleaned and orderly, but maintenance seems to be an issue. Our first room on the ground floor had issues in the bathroom where paint was peeling back on the wall along the bathtub, and the overhead fan cover was hanging from the ceiling. Meh, seen worse and I don't expect perfection. We discovered the bathroom sink in our first room on the ground floor wouldn't drain. This is where the service from the front desk prevented this from being a two or three star review by not only offering a new room, but giving a choice between two rooms. Both were a step up on the second floor overlooking the pool area. I picked the room with a drain that albeit slow still drained in favour of the other room with a missing closet door. Finally something that's becoming a peeve of mine with Best Western hotels in general are the generic TV remotes that don't have input selection and none on the TV itself. So you can't plug in devices (let alone cast) to watch your own shows from streaming services.

The room itself was clean and nice. However we were in a handicap accessible room (I have walking issues) on the 2nd floor. The elevator near our room was out of order so I either had to walk up/downstairs or walk through the entire hotel to get to the elevator. Didn't even get to have breakfast because it was too far to walk.

We arrived at the hotel to police officers patrolling the parking lot. Check in went smooth, front desk lady was nice. We decided to get a suite so that the kids could have their own sleeping area. The room smelled terrible. The tv the living room areas cord had been ripped out of the back of the tv and was just dangling, so there went the entire purpose of renting a suite. There was an invasion of ants coming from the toilet. There were no blankets or sheets provided for the pull out sofa. The hallway was flooded with an inch of water and a fan blowing on it. The pool was beyond packed due to a massive family reunion happening. We waited 25 minutes in the breakfast line just to find that the food was unappetizing and limited. Space in the breakfast room was so limited that there were kids and families sitting on the floor eating in the public areas near the breakfast room. I spoke with the front desk 3 or 4 different times and they just offered to write things down in their book. It was an overall just a bad and cringy experience.

Stay somewhere else!! Room was damp - bedding and carpeting felt wet, smelled musty. Sink drain took 30 mins to drain after washing hands, it was so clogged. Carpet was dirty and left feet black by the end of the day. Pool was shut down early for poop, but they just closed the pool area and made no attempt to clean it out. They had a TV outage for 2 floors in a section of the hotel and told everyone who complained they were working on it - it was not fixed for about 48 hours. We had to go purchase a Roku so we could watch tv. A gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude, even hung up from a customer complaining about having no tv and he stated 'that her crying was not helping him'. They would not give any refunds or relocate people to different rooms where the tv was working - this is what Corporate Customer Service stated when they tried to call them on my behalf. The breakfast was cold including the food that was freshly brought out. While sitting in the lobby, we heard several complaints about air conditioning now working in rooms. We were also told that housekeeping would not come in unless we requested it, however, they did come in and take all the used towels and garbages - they did NOT however replace the towels with fresh ones. Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money someplace else.

Our kids were so excited for the pool & cartoons at the hotel. They were sadly disappointed. Pool got shut down for suspected poop, but not before a boy about age 7-10 stood at the edge of the hotel, dropped his swimsuits & peed into the pool, showing his penis to anyone around. Also, pool was super crowded with no lifeguards - super dangerous. We went back to our room, walking through hallways that smelled like pot, to shower. We tried to turn cartoons on for our kids as we were taking turns showering & the TV stopped working! We will definitely not be back.

Stay somewhere else!! The gentleman who checked me in was rude. They left poop sit in the pool and just shut it down. Housekeeping takes towels/soap and doesn't replace them. Tv stopped working 9 hours ago and they have no ETA. I called corporate customer service and the hotel lied and said all tvs are out but some are not. They would not switch us rooms and they are refusing to give us any money back. The room smells musty and damp. Walking in the lobby had water falling from the ceiling into the light fixture even when it wasn't raining. It's not worth the money.

I learned on this trip that not all Best Western Plus' are created equal. This hotel was crap. I checked into my room needed more towels (5 people in the room) and they didn't have any available. The hallway carpet doesn't look like it has ever been replaced and was coming up. It was a trip hazard. My room looked fine but I noticed an odd smell from a chair I was sitting on. It smelled like crap. I liked the cushion and it was indeed crap. I informed the front desk and moved it out into the hallway. No apologies from them no offer to make things right. I should have probably guessed that this was going to be the response from the large "NO DISCOUNTS " reminder note they have at the front desk. Beside from that our shower got clogged and when they fixed it they left the hair removed strewn about the bathroom. Also the only way you are getting breakfast is if you het up a 6am during the week. The breakfast area is too small for the amount of guest they have and the window to eat is too short. Spend more money to go to a different hotel in the area.

This best western was your accommodating to us! We had an afternoon flight out and a late night (130am) return flight. Instead of park stay & fly, they arranged and allowed us to park, fly, and then stay. Their 24 hour shuttle was key! Not many hotels there have true 24 hour shuttles (many just till midnight!). But the best western has 24 hr shuttle and it worked perfectly! We came back late, called at 130am, they picked us up and drove us to their hotel. At the hotel they gave us a super late checkout due to our late arrival and we're really kind and flexible. The room was great, we slept well, and did catch some of the free breakfast, and even got some swimming exercise in their big nice pool, before checking out. All for a competitive price to stay that included all our parking. Thanks so much best western! You did awesome!!

Rooms by pool are very dark and tired. Had to wait 2 hours for bed linens for a very uncomfortable pull out bed. Pool area is not what it could be. Pool water was cold and could not go in it. Very sterile environment. Have been to other Best Western Plus with same pool concept that have been done up very nicely with plants, warmer water and very attractive lounge areas for parents. Did not get the king suite that we booked and ended up in a room by the pool which we did not want but Sara, at front desk was very helpful despite how busy she was.

No pool towels in the pool area so had to walk back to the room soaking wet, asked for bedding two times for the pull out couch and never received it. My kids got cold at night since we didn't have enough bedding. Had to go to IHOP down the road because breakfast was so packed. Only one tiny garbage can in the bathroom, none in the rest of the room so garbage piled up quickly with a family of 6, staff at front desk was rude and texting before greeting customers. Found a gross used ear plug in the bathroom, the water spout in the bathtub was not connected to the tub appropriately.

The room we got was very quiet and away from the pool area. It was clean, had the typical 2 large towels, 3 hand towels, and 2 or 3 wash cloths. We got the room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed (5 people total in the room). We also brought our own towels as it is standard for most hotels to offer only 2 full towels. We went on a weekday, so it wasn't as busy, but front desk was busy (too many people calling to be picked up, and from what it seems understaffed, so be kind, and cooperate pay these people more and get more staff). There is a holding fee ($250) but it is refunded at end of your stay (as I guess there is history of unruly guests damaging the rooms). They offer a shuttle to the airport, Mall of America, or 5 mile radius to other locations. They do not have a printed schedule but you can always request the shuttle from the front desk. We walked as the Mall of America is a 8 minute walk. It's pretty safe (sky tunnel/walk). They have parking but you need to fill out your car details, as it is limited. The pool area is very cool and does smell strongly of chlorine. Do expect it to be full of kiddos and wildness (it's a family hotel and the public can go to the pool with a fee I believe). My only tolerable issue I had was the room carpet smelt damp/musty, maybe due to prior guest leaving their damp clothing/towels on the floor, which happens. We just aired out the room by opening the window. Overall, we had a decent stay. Don't expect luxury services nor items (as some reviewers expectations are beyond what they pay for).

First and foremost, as a well-traveled couple in our 60's, we have stayed at many hotels and have trusted the Best Western brand. However, the cleanliness, maintenance and quality of this hotel was appalling and it is clear that these are not a priority for the hotel management. I've stayed at 2 star motels that were better. The lobby area and restaurant looked decent, but it was like lipstick on a pig. The hotel room was dingy, the furniture damaged and the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. I didn't even want to take my shoes off! To make matters worse, I had no towels and after calling and waiting for 40 minutes, I decided to go the front desk and ask for a set. On the way, I passed the “business center” consisting of computers located in an open area and there were P0RN videos playing on the computers! I complained to the front desk clerk, who laughed it off and said that kids kept doing that all the time and she would go and turn it off. I can't imagine how many young children saw that! Why not block these sites from these computers if it is an ongoing problem? I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. From the lack of cleanliness to the terrible customer service and then seeing the explicit videos playing on the public computers, it was an overall unpleasant experience. Save yourself the disappointment and find a different hotel that actually cares about its guests' comfort and satisfaction. To the manager, please don't insult me with your boilerplate response that “This was an uncommon instance; we are normally known for exceptional housekeeping services” or other excuse. This is common complaint from other reviews I have read, which I wished I had checked before booking.

Booked this hotel for proximity to MOA. Decent hotel but had to ask 4 times for more towels. We stayed as family of 5 and our room was only provided with 3 towels. We brought our own towels for the pool. We also had to ask for more toilet paper as they only provided us with one roll in our room. Was told that they only had one roll to give us. Pool was good but cold. There needs to be some sort of supervision in there. Too many kids unsupervised and the hot tub was full of kids at all times. Not very relaxing. We will never stay at another best western again. This hotel needs more supplies for the business they have.

The beds were comfortable and the kiddie pool was fun for our daughter. However, the hotel smelled the cigarettes and weed. It was throughout the entire hotel, too. Its hard to sleep when this is all you can smell. It was convenient for the MOM, but that is about it. Would not stay again.

Not the best. Thermostat in room was screwed up, had to set it to 78 to keep it warm. No heavy blankets. Not the right amount of towels etc. Lamp beside bed was broken with receptacle broken and hanging down. Rooms were dark and dismal. Bathroom needs an update.

We stay every February and book a day before we leave for vacation and a day when we return. We added on an extra day and confirmed with the front desk that we would be in the same room when we checked in. We left in the morning for appointments and went to the mall just to come back and the front desk says we should have checked in again and moved rooms and the cleaning people may have cleaned out our room. After some checking she found our belongings were still in the room. Not a good feeling to think that someone packed up all of your stuff. Seems the front desk needs some training and since the restaurant is closed they should charge less for the stay. Paid for three nights as we do every year but will probably stay somewhere else in the future.

We stayed here based on a previous trip where connecting flight was missed so Delta put us up here. We appreciated the shuttle service and clean room. Rooms need updating though. Our room was clean enough, morning driver was very friendly, helpful and on time. We liked being able to leave our vehicle there while we were gone on our trip. Front desk staff were also courteous and helpful.

For years my family and I utilized the Best Western Plus in Bloomington as a park & fly option for our travels. Unfortunately we will not be returning in the future. It appears that the hotel is under new management. At check-in the lady helping us seemed to be completely bothered by needing to assist us as she was talking on the phone and appeared irritate to answer our questions. The pool was closed due to "cold temperatures" and the restaurant was closed due to remodeling. Our room was a standard 2 queen which was sufficient for our needs but we did find what appeared to be a prescription pill on the floor that was missed by housekeeping. Our transportation to the airport was a breeze but our return to the hotel following our vacation was a nightmare. I called reception after picking up out bags from baggage claim and was told it would be about "20 minutes" until the shuttle would arrive and that there was another couple that would be waiting with us as well. After about 45 minutes the other couple decided to call the hotel to inquire the status of the shuttle. The reception desk questioned if we were in the correct location and then informed us that it would be another 40 minutes as the "driver was busy." All 6 of us elected to purchase an uber instead of waiting for 1.5+ hours for a shuttle after a long day of travels. All in all, we were very disappointed with our stay and even more disappointed to be ending our long standing relationship with this hotel.

Waited 35 mins for checkin because the hotel was severely understaffed. Employee called management, but no help appeared. No towels available for the pool, no blankets for the pull out sofa. This place is a mess!

Not a great experience. Staff wasn't helpful or very friendly. Pool was closed, restaurant was closed, quick grab mart was out of several items, low on towels, no hair dryer in room, no blankets or sheets for pull out couch. When we called front desk it was hit or miss to get a person to talk to. When we did get a person to talk to they weren't very friendly or helpful. There were no extra sheets or blankets when we asked for them. Room was OK, not very clean, lots of stains on the carpet. We noticed that someone had vomited in the hallway the first night we were there and the mess was still there the day we left, 3 days later. The water pressure in the shower was not great. The toilet was leaking. Many issues that could have been addressed to make our stay more comfortable and more enjoyable.

We were refused extra towels (6 of us sharing 4 towels for 4 nights), we asked multiple times for a blanket and sheet for the sofa bed (we had 2, needed three), didn't get a blanket but 2 sheets instead, heat didn't work, pool was shut down, restaurant and bar were shut down, calling the front desk for customer service was impossible because they never answered the phone. One time we called the hotel for a shuttle ride 14 times before they answered. No one checking the pool area (people drinking in the pools), drain in the bathtub was plugged, front desk personnel, except Sara, were very rude. Sofa bed and beds were very uncomfortable (rooms need to be updated), the windows let in a lot of cold air. The only reason we are leaving a 1-star review is because of the shuttle drivers. They were awesome!

Staff was unbelievably rude. Pool had so much chlorine our kids had burning faces and eyes for hours. Breakfast was terrible. We waited 3 hrs for a clean fitted sheet. I reported the chlorine issue and no one cared.

Came here 2 years ago and it was great. Rules say no Birthday parties, no pool parties, it was a fun time with the ability to relax after visiting family all day. No more…there are no less than 8 massive birthday parties at the pool. Well over 100 children poorly supervised and running around. Food everywhere and so loud you can't even carry on a conversation on your poolside deck. Not to mention the over 30 people in the hot tub. Very unsafe and very disappointed in the lack of any attempt to try to make this a safe and enjoyable visit for anyone who isn't part of the parties.

Bugs in bathroom. One in the bed. Hair dryer didn't work. No service for a multiple night stay. Ironing board broken. Had to switch rooms. No heat. Dirty. No restaurant or lounge which was a big perk. It was closed down, but not notified.

Noise all night with people running and banging on the walls. Also tried no less than 8 times calling for a shuttle to pick me and my 3 year old up from the train station while it was about 15 degrees outside and no one answered so we ended up going to the Cambria hotel to warm up and wait until someone answers the phone, After being there for about 30 more minutes so,done finally answered the phone and sent a shuttle. Pool area was nice but about 2 or 3 different birthday parties going on and with all the noise from the previous night we just decided to check out a day earlier

People were loud and running up and down the halls all night, security didn't do anything about it and either would the front desk. Ot a good hotel to get sleep in. The pool was nice and kid friendly but the water was very cold even for my kids.

Room was spacious, clean and breakfast was a hot breakfast with such friendly staff. Bed was so comfortable and new. A busy hotel for families,but all staff were so great! I will definately come back again!

I had specifically made reservations and was confirmed for a ground floor, poolside room. We arrived at 4:30 pm and waited in line (Sat. 11/15/22) for our turn to check in. Approximately at 5 pm we had our to check in. I gave my name and stated that I had reservations for a poolside room. Immediately and without even checking the computer the desk clerk stated "we don't have a poolside room available" I stated that we have confirmed reservations for a poolside room and I showed him our email confirmation. He again told me there were no poolside rooms available. (How then do I have a confirmed poolside room and he didn't have to look to tell me there were no poolside rooms unless someone gave my room away prior to me arriving!). He apologized and stated that someone must have given my room away and that he would talk to management to see what could be done. He finally told us that he could offer us another room on the 2nd floor for 50% off. My 10 year old granddaughter told me "grandma it is ok, at least we are together and we can swim still even if we aren't right by the pool". Considering that I had limited options and my granddaughter was excited for the pool(s) specifically and we also chose the location to be by the Mall...we chose to stay for the one night. I asked the clerk what we should do to avoid our room being given to someone else??? His answer was "I suggest being here right at the 4 pm check in". So my question is...is Best Western's practice... giving away confirmed rooms to anyone who wants them if your confirmed guests are not checked in right at 4 pm??? This was way more than a minor inconvenience and we had chose a poolside room for my granddaughter's 10 the birthday treat as we have never done a poolside room anywhere before. The 50% off that we were credited was 50% off of the room that we were given not 50% off of the room that we had originally chose and confirmed. Also, when we did our bed bug check when we got in the room we found hair, dirt/sand and food particles between both queen mattresses and the box springs...yuck! This was not just a missed thing or a tiny amount again...yuck! We made the best of it for our granddaughter but it was "NOT" the experience that we had planned by far! I chose not to create a scene or blame the staff who may or may not have anything to do with this situation "especially not in front of my granddaughter or even others" but I am still disappointed in the situation and I am not satisfied with the outcome.

No towels, broken lights, and clogged sink. Front desk extremely rude and could not answer questions. I am a member. I will not be returning. Booked a 2 night stay for my toddlers birthday, it was absolutely awful. Not to mention I booked it over a month ago and the first thing the front desk tried to tell me, I wasn't getting the poolside when it was booked a month in advance and paid for...

It is sad this hotel has GREAT LOCATION and GREAT POOL for ALL ages, but the hotel needs a upgrade. The room sizes were great but the bathrooms were GROSS! I did not feel comfortable giving my daughter a bath or myself taking a shower as there was mold in the cocking. I know covid hit hotels hard but this looks like it has been YEARS since someone has tried fixing the issues. The heat only worked every now and than and every time it wouldn't work would be at night and we couldn't call maintenance or else my daughter would have to walk up so we just added more blankets to her. If this hotel could renovate its rooms it would be a big money maker. The pool was AMAZING my daughter loved that she could just walk in and the slide for the little kids. I hope this hotel is able to slowly upgrade the rooms and turn it around because if it does this will be my go to hotel but until than I need to find a new one because the mold is a BIG health risk.

We 3 women did the park and fly. Front desk very pleasant. This is one of the few hotels that does 24 hours free shuttle to the airport! We needed to leave by 4:00 A.M. for our 6:30 flight. Our shuttle driver was very nice and dropped us off near our airline! Not making us take the tram and go up, over, or around!! Thanks for that!! The restaurant is ONLY open for the breakfast!! We walked to the MOA for dinner and drinks!! Easy 10 minutes there! Take the sky walk and through the parking lot. Lots of options there to eat and shop!! Only issue was when we arrived back in MSP, I called the hotel and told the young woman that we were at the “Shuttle pick up area”. 25 minutes later… still no BW shuttle. I called again, I told her where we were.?? Is that the correct spot?? She had no idea!!! Finally we decided to go find out.. a gentleman from a rental company told us to go to the shuttle area by the “Taxis & Limousine “ for the hotel shuttle!! Ugh!! Our shuttle driver was very nice and said that he tells the front desk people to TELL guests to go where it says “Taxi & Limousine “!! The airport does not have the “Shuttle signs” different either way!! Nothing fancy, we never use the pool. For some reason at 1:00 A.M. the neighbors decided to stand right outside OUR door to have some in depth “Private conversation “!!! Ugh!! They woke up all 3 of us up!! Really??? How rude!!!!

I wrote a raving review years ago because this hotel was AMAZING!!!! It was clean, friendly, quiet, and inexpensive- how can you beat that? I come here every year around this time to celebrate my daughter's birthday and over the years it has gone to TRASH! Yesterday, when we arrived they sent us to 2 different rooms that were not cleaned AT ALL! Pizza boxes, food all over the floor and beds not made. Finally, we got a “clean” room on the third attempt. There were A LOT of people there which is fine, but not all people were wearing masks. At night around 10pm one group decided to turn the place into a club and use a loud speaker to BLAST music! I mean surround sound type noise! I couldn't believe management allowed this. It went on for about an hour. Finally, they turned it “down”. After that, about 20 kids started running all around the arcade area yelling and screaming and playing with NO MASKS on. After about 11/12pm it stopped. I have a video, but it doesn't seem that I can post it. The next day was better. We woke up and went to the pool. The kiddie side was cold, but the pool area was warm with a slight chill. Unfortunately, my stay this time was terrible! My KIDS (ages 10, 8, 6, 4, and 1) wanted to leave the first night. Usually, kids like a bit of commotion, but it was all too much! Please get new management! Update Oct 2022: So far, the room was clean except the dried silly string on the ceiling and the terribly ripped to shreds cushion chair that my husband decided to set out on the balcony so my kids wouldn't interact with it. Right now at 9pm we're smelling major weed smoke. My daughter literally just asked me, “Why does it smell like smoke?” Ugh!!! Had not my husband booked this hotel I would have NEVER chosen to come back here jusy based on my last review. I plan to NEVER vome back here.

Great location for the Mall of America. Room very basic. No notepads, hotel directory, clock or alarm, or tea. Hot breakfast in the morning good. 10 minutes to walk to mall. Parking convenient. The room was decent size, and cleanliness was excellent.

The Best Western Plus in Bloomington, MN needs to be delisted from the brand. We're a regular Best Western user and are cutting off our stay at this hotel a day short due to a total disappointment in this property (but should have left immediately). We've stayed here years ago, multiple time but things have taken a turn for the worse. The property is filthy. We paid extra for pool front rooms and what a disappointment. The rooms themselves had stains on the carpet, were generally unclean, we found an old sock under the curtain and the “patio area” was covered in dirt and crumbs. When asking about housekeeping we were told that it was not offered on multi night stay because of “Covid”. We were told they tried to clean the decks but the “machine” didn't work - a broom seems likes a simple, ignored solution. The unavailability of room cleaning was never presented to us on booking or on checking in. If my room was clean to begin I could accept this but it was not. Also the pool is not cleaned or governed with wrist bands. We took our family to the pool upon opening and we're greeted with towels, garbage and water bottles in the pool. This evening the pool is packed with birthday parties of many people who are clearly not staying in the hotel. The amount of people in the pool would put most public pools to shame. The hallways are filled with kids running and adults vaping. It is 11pm and the party has not yet relented. Our decks is covered with trash dropped by kids from the room above us. At no point in time was a staff member seen cleaning the area or dealing with any of the issues mentioned above despite calling the front desk. It doesn't feel like a safe space for a family. I feel for the staff as they are clearly overwhelmed but avoid this place. When talking to the front desk staff about cutting my stay short they didn't ask why - they know.

Dirty bed, mysterious paint stains all over furniture and floor, floor planks peeling off the floor. There were a number of issues beyond these as well. The lady seemingly in charge of the front desk was very rude to me, other guests, and her coworkers. She told me she could do nothing and gave me her managers card to contact to help on Monday(this was on Saturday). Even the other workers there were shaking their heads at her demeanor. I ended up leaving and having a much more enjoyable experience elsewhere with my 6 year old son.

We stayed at the hotel because of location near the Mall of America. The staff was very friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Only really had one problem with the hotel. That is the fact the cleaning crew didn't clean the room or give us new towels. We even hung the thing on the door to let them know. I would probably stay here again.

Great place to stay, near a lot of restaurants and ample parking. You will find something to eat with the many items available for breakfast , the rooms are aesthetic and I never had any concern for my safety at this location. Pay the extra amount and rest in comfort here.

We think this hotel is perfect for our travels to stay the night before we fly out early the next morning. It is located near places to pick up items you may have forgotten at home. We have scheduled our pre-COVID test at the Walgreens nearby and the front desk staff have printed out our results for us to carry with us to the airport. This has been the hotel for us for the past 6 years, Stay, Park, Fly.

dirty, no toilet paper, no wash cloths, no manager. frosting, cake , chocolate, glitter, garbage, balloons, found in our room. Next rooms had faulty switch that sparked. young man at the front desk was nice but seemed to be new. Best part about the stay was the shuttle drivers. Air conditioning was extremely loud and sounded like it may not work at any moment.

DO NOT STAY HERE. No security. Actually the security guard sat at front desk doing less than nothing. Carpets filthy. Outdated. A/c didn't work. So noisy. Kids running up and down hallway late into the night. It was a free night but front desk staff took over 30 minutes because they didn't know how to process and then they charged me 30.00 for a no show at 6pm. We arrived at 8pm. And I had already been charged. Front desk didn't know how to reverse the charge

We had 3 rooms and they couldnt put us together. We were scattered all over the hotel. Tried to use the pool and hot tub but there was a large group of un attened children that were very rude. Asked the front desk for help with the situation many of times with no help. When they did come I was told if I didnt stop complaining they would just close the hot tub. WTH why not do the job you you are paid to do and fix it. The hot tub is a 14 person there was more than 30 in there.

Booked for Park and Ride. Going the Shuttle service was great. We had breakfast the morning before getting on shuttle but let me tell you, one of the worse breakfasts I've ever had. The eggs were soupy, there was no butter or peanut butter for toast, ran out of milk, the small refrigerator was empty where you'd normally find hard boiled eggs or yogurt.

Booked a room block and had a dinner party at this hotel. Director of Sales was so sweet and easy to work with. Hell broke lose with rooms not being cleaned, sheets weren't on the bed, breakfast sucked, maintenance was non-existent. Our stay was a hot mess and we had about 40 rooms reserved. This hotel came highly recommend. My husband and I were so embarrased at the service we and our guests received. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

I was there for Chad and Aileen's 25th wedding anniversary. We had multiple issues with this hotel. Starting with the staff who were not friendly and when they had messed up a dinner that was planned at the hotel instead of working with the hosts to fix the issue called their manager saying a belligerently drunk lady was screaming at them. Therefore the manager came and screamed at the hosts which was unacceptable. She paid for a service and didn't get what she was promised. Then our party had constant issues with their rooms. My room had an odd smell to it, the bathroom was cover in someone's hair, and the toilet flushed so violently that's everything flew out of the toilet as it flushed. On the morning after their vow renewal, they had set up breakfast at the hotel. Which the hotel claimed they were only giving us drinks and were not told about food. Again unacceptable for the amount of money the couple spent on their special occasion. I enjoyed the time with my friends but the hotel experience was ridiculous to say the least. I will not be returning.

We were at your hotel for the Rheault Wedding August 18 and 19, 2022. We had a block of 50 rooms. The staff was friendly checking us in, but distracted like they didn't want to be there. During our evening dinner on Thursday, that our HOST PAID FOR, the food was cold, we ran out (which should not have happened). Our host went to see what the issue was and complain and the HOTEL MANGAER interrupted her conversation and VERY RUDELY AND CONDENCEING said YOU, NOW, OUTSIDE!. Of course most of the guests were military and former military and you could tell this manager wanted to embarrass her since he did this in front of all their guests. Then the following morning, we were supposed to have a HUGE spread for breakfast on Saturday to say good bye. There was supposed to be a mimosa and bloody mary bar. We got there and there was no food, warm orange juice and bottles of prosecco. And the Bloody Mary mix you tasted only Tomato juice and tabasco, which was not palatable. Our hosts had to go out and pay for and order food since there was nothing provided. I have been in customer service for years and management. Had this happened in my establishment, i would have been PERSONALLY making sure everything was planned and would go smoothly, ESPECIALLY after the 1st issue. We come to that area quite often and not only will we NEVER stay here again but will be telling all our friends and family about the absolute unacceptable behavior we were a witness to and experienced.

The staff was rude, lacked knowledge of the property, and I'll trained in general. The “breakfast” was so bad that our group chose to walk to IHOP! The lack of air-conditioning is one thing, but the lack of a shower curtain was just plain bizarre!

Everything about this property was average. It was clean. It needed another blanket on one of the beds. It was missed by housekeeping. The breakfast could have used another choice, pancakes, waffles or rolls. Also anther cereal choice.

We did not have a good experience here and many other people didn't as there were lots of us complaining at the front desk. Our door didn't lock and they wouldn't come fix it till the morning so you could walk right in our room without a key. there were ants all over the floor. the rooms were not clean. the hot tub was cold. there was nothing to choose from for breakfast and the little that was there was never refilled. we talked with the manager and he was rude and not helpful whatsoever. wouldn't recommend.

We stayed at this hotel last year and booked a "pool access room". I thought it meant that they were restricting access to the pool to keep numbers down due to COVID. When we got there we realized they had rooms that opened up directly to the pool and that's what that meant. We still were not placed in one of those rooms. We didn't realize we didn't receive the room we paid for until we were already settled in and went down to the pool. We decided to just stay in the room we were given and still had a good time. We booked again last weekend because our young son loved the pool. We went to check in at 4:00 and there was a line out the door of people checking in. Every single person in line had an issue with checking in. I was behind six groups and it still took 45 minutes. She noted that I had booked a pool access room and they were sold out. I asked if there was a price difference to stay in another type of room. She said no - which seems a little ridiculous. We paid a premium to stay in a room with easy access to the pool. She said they were overbooked in every category and there were going to be a lot of angry people later that day. We got up to our room and it definitely wasn't the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. There were stains in the carpet, bathroom was dirty and everything seemed damp. There were no toiletries in the bathroom apart from a bar of soap. We booked the room for three people and there were only two shower towels. We said screw it and just used one of our beach towels to dry off with rather than harass the already understaffed hotel. We were planning on eating at JT's located in the hotel just for ease. We went down there and the door was unlocked, lights were on, but there wasn't a soul in sight. We don't think they ever even opened up on a Saturday night. A sign on the door would have been nice. My son enjoyed the pool and play area immensely, which made the ridiculous price almost worth it. But next time we want a hotel with a decent pool we will go elsewhere.

As expected, the room was clean, there were lots of breakfast options, and the pool was a hit with the small children on this trip. Be prepared for lots of people and possible noise on weekends; but be prepared to enjoy the staff taking care of all your needs with a smile.

Hot tub was not hot and jets broken. Pool was freezing and water was very cloudy both days. Breakfast- couldn't find worker, food not stocked at all. Red stains in carpet, broken remote. Not worth it!!

The location was wonderful, as it allowed me to get my disabled wife into a room and return rent a car to airport and get shuttle back to hotel, relatively easily. Shuttle drivers to and from Hotel were exemplary. Very helpful with luggage and getting my wife onto and off shuttle. Room 1245 had a number of deficiencies, wall desk socket that didn't work, shower curtain that was not able to stop H2O from leaking across floor. Shower floor water stopper strip was moldy and very old

Refrigerator was broken. We had to ask 4 times for it to be fixed. Bathroom was dirty with hair everywhere. Blanket had a blood stain. I asked for a new blanket twice but never received. There were feces in the hot tub and pool.

Air conditioner was broken even when moved rooms leaving rooms humid and damp. Mold in bathrooms. Stains on sheets of bed. Damage to sitting chairs. Terrible breakfast. Encountered biohazard at pool, do not believe they closed it for proper cleaning. Found ants on night stand. Lobby had a ceiling leak which was not fully repaired in the days we stayed. Pool was not secure and none hotel guests were present for parties. Family we traveled with found a dried contact in their bedding. Would not recommend staying here.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night, and that was enough, rooms are run down, carpets stained, Fan in bathroom didn't work! Found roaches in the coffeemaker (so gross) my kids even noticed it was dirty! I'm the last person to complain but I will not be staying there ever again!! Paid too much for the quality! Breakfast was COLD!!

We had no A/C, but for younger kids this place is great with the water area for them. The staff was easy to work with, just was tough to find a room that actually worked for our family when we were being moved around.

People were allowed to party and drink in the pool area well after the pool closed. We had a poolside room so we're unable to sleep. We continually spoke to the front desk, but they refused to kick the people out of the pool area. Mold in the bathroom, tape all over the ceiling, black dirty smudges all over the wall.

Don't expect a good breakfast, or towels for the pool. The room was stuffy but the air did work. The floors are gross. The sheets and bathroom seemed to be clean. The pool was cold, beyond salty and overly chlorinated.

Last minute resort, breakfast was too cold for suppose to be hot food and pool had Way TOO Much chemicals Everything else was Excellent minus old bananas in fridge :/ staff was great! No staff in the breakfast area and no condiments food was bland

Kid's pool was excellent and clean. The boys loved the multiple waterfalls and a mini slide. Hottub was big enough. Hot breakfast was a good change, although we have diet restrictions and no one could tell us the ingredients. Overall a great stay.

I was leaving on an evening Friday flight, I needed a place to park. I was returning the next week on a Saturday night at midnight!! I did not know there is a”REVERSE “ park and fly!!! Front desk both check ins were helpful and prompt. By the time I checked in at 12:30 A.M. I was starving!! The nice woman at the front desk recommended “American Pie” , I ordered their Reuben pizza and it was delivered to my hotel room in less than 30 minutes!! My room was a king and far away from the front desk and pool area!! I slept in until 10:00 A.M.!! I stay there frequently when I use their Park & Fly rate. Huge parking lot and free shuttle to and from the airport! I will be back in October!! Thanks!

Izzy the was on top of his game. Not sure what his job title was. But it for sure could have been concierge. He was everywhere. There when we checked in helping another guest. In the pool area picking up towels. Asking how we were and if we needed anything. Stopped to talk to us when we were sitting by the stoop area at our poolside room at about 11 pm. Even brought my kids popsicles. Then he was there the next morning early when we were going to breakfast. At the amazing breakfast. Customer Service here will definitely keep us coming back.

Love this hotel. Staff is amazing and hotel is super clean! I stay here all the time. So much so the staff knows me at the front desk. Great location and within walking distance of the mall of America

It was ok. It's a busy hotel next to the Mall, lots of families so if you are looking for something with peace and quiet you won't really get that on the weekend. Breakfast was what you'd expect being "included" with the price. The pool was foggy and the chemicals smelled like they were off. The majority of the staff we dealt with were nice and making the best of what I'm assuming was being short staffed. Good channel selection on tv's. Rooms were what you'd expect in this price range. They do have smaller pillows on the beds so bring your own if you need "your pillow" to sleep well. Proximity to the mall was great and getting in and out of the mall along with parking is pretty easy. Overall what I'd expect for a hotel in this price range.

We stay at hotel. Cause it was right beside and had shuttle to mall of America... everyone was friendly shuttle was amazing taking us to and from mall of America it was snowing the morning we went to mall and we didn't have to drive in it the shuttle took us loved it thank you

The rooms were big and comfortable but the restaurant is overpriced, the service and staff were not friendly. We walked away after being refused service. Other people said they were charged for food and drinks they did not get. The manager was the bar tender and he was super rude. Refused to even get us pop/water. Breakfast was free but it was cold.

couldn't enjoy the pool or hot tub cuz it was so over crowded with kids. super noisy. breakfast was bland and out of a lot of things. couldn't eat at the hotel restaurant which they said closes at 9 but we got there at 8 and couldn't order cuz the kitchen was closing. I wont stay there again.

By far one of the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have stayed here several times in the past and was pleased with our stay but something has changed at this hotel which is shown in the reviews below. The hotel has garbage everywhere. Rooms are dirty, sheets had holes in them, rooms had no towels, no soap, and room floors had dried frosting on them. The pool area was a complete disaster. Again no towels and none were added at any point over the next two days. Instead the towel racks that held towels were full of garbage that also was never cleaned up. Pools were not clean and the hot tub was "broke". Head to the resteraunt for breakfast and not sure why I would have expected anything different. None of the tables were cleaned unless you took a napkin to wipe the crumbs off yourself. That is of course if you could find a napkin. They then had tubs full of dirty dishes scattered throughout the resteraunt and on the bar counters. You would think the frontdesk staff would want to help, but they didn't care and were extremely rude. At times would smirk/laugh as if they have just gotten use to these types of complaints. I then had the pleasure of speaking with the operational manager whom you think would want to do what he can to make things right. That was not the case at all. His attitude was similar to that of the frontdesk. His response to the hotel being dirty was it is several years old....not sure what that has to do with keeping it clean. He then provided excuse after excuse none of which was my problem nor should impact the cleanliness of your establishment. I had reservations for multiple nights here and ended up paying for those while at the same time checking out after the first night to stay somewhere else where they value their guests. Paying additional money to go somewhere else was well worth it. I will never stay at this hotel again and am hoping others avoid it as well. This area has multiple hotels to pick from so consider going somewhere else that actually wants your business and wants you to enjoy your stay.

Save your money pay the extra 10 bucks and stay somewhere else. Dirty sheets, hot tub not working, restaurant closed, no bars of soap in room to wash your hands. Front desk rude No complimentary coffee in lobby Waste of money 100%

Spend your money elsewhere unless corporate changes something! Upon check in I got to witness the General Manager blow off a guest that was concerned about a rash from using the pool, a flight crew that couldn't get a shuttle from the airport because no one would answer the phone, and guests complaining about loud music from the pool area birthday party (that is prohibited per the sheet given to us at check-in) and security saying they couldn't do anything until quiet time at 10:30PM. No hairdryer in the room but front desk was able to find one. Air conditioning didn't work in our poolside room so sleeping at 77 degrees was miserable. Black mold all over the tub, light out in the bathroom, lights in the shower worked the second night (electrical issue), missing a light bulb from the lamp between the beds, no TV remote and the pool area received exactly zero maintenance or cleaning, food smashed in the carpeted areas is just gross. Thankfully we spent most of our time at the mall. Front desk was also turning guests away because they had overbooked the hotel. I did not bring issues to the management due to seeing how the General Manager took care of guests while I was checking in.

Mold in the bathrooms, dirty stained sheets. Might as well go out for every meal since the attached restaurant is terrible. They have a pool but don't offer pool towels. So you'll have to use all your room towels for swimming and on a busy weekend, you'll be forced to dry off with hand towels like we were told. The pool area is never cleaned very well.

No blankets for 1 bed, mold in bathroom, dirty bath tub, not able to adjust thermostat, overbooked, staff not helpful. Tons of kids running throughout the halls, throwing food and trash. Pool was way over packed.

The rooms were clean and in working order. The staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional. The pools and family area were very nice and the kids ages 18 months to 9 y/o had a wonderful time. There were no pool towels available the evening we arrived nor the next morning. Upon request, staff gave out some room towels in the morning. Staff reported the laundry was behind due to being “full” the preceding night. The breakfast was good and had multiple choices. The women's restroom by the pool did not have any toilet paper or paper towels available. The accompanying men's restroom had toilet paper and paper towels strewn all over the floor. (These are the reasons I rated the “service” as below average.

Arrived a 5PM to be checked into an already occupied room. There were two people working the front desk but the service was slow, average of 20 minute wait per person in front of you. Second room we checked into seemed to be alright however, I should have known when I found lotion from another hotel in the bathroom to investigate. The kids were anxious to get to the pool so I just informed the front desk about the lotion and went to the pool. Pool area was large however, it was dirty, kids couldn't use the pool as the chlorine was to overwhelming. Decided to leave the pool to go play a game of pool in the restaurant. We walked into a major cloud, the cook had burnt something, you could barely see through the place, turned out the pool table was broke anyway. After these disappointments, we decided to just go back to the room and rest. Beds were comfortable. Room had brown stains all over the ceiling, my teenagers actually commented that it looked like poop. Woke up at 7 AM, got in the shower, turned around to find globs of long black hair all over the tub and wall, pictures below. Needless to say, I did not shower. At that point, I was extremely disgusted. Very overwhelmed to say the least about this hotel. The front desk offered me a $25 credit, Priceline had to reach out as they did not process the credit. I don't believe this credit would have up for the horrible experience. Don't let this place damage the Best Western Plus name, we have stayed at others that have been more than acceptable.

Business and signed a 6 figure contract. Showed up from the airport on the phone with BW to use points for my room. Some worker comes up to me and asks, “what are you doing in here, do you have a reservation?” I responded I am working on it. She did, “well there's no loitering!” I shouldn't have even stayed but had plans for dinner and a movie across the road. Bring your walking shoes, some rooms are a mile or more from the front desk.

The pool/activity area drew me in. I spent about $330 for a poolside room. We got to the room and I immediately had regrets. The room was actually very dirty. There was some type of blue gunk all over the carpet (maybe frosting?) it was all over the bathroom door, window curtains, etc. the bathroom tub had mold growing around it. The walls had dried drink stains all over them from pop splatters. There were no wash clothes in our room, and we had no hair dryer. The room temperature controls didn't work. It was 75 degrees in our room all night, mixed with the humidity from the pool area. The pool area didn't have towels. The pool closed as 11pm but loud parties went until about 1:30 am. Hotel staff didn't shut them down. The pool has so much chlorine that my skin actually got a rash from it. The hot tub capacity said 14 people. At one point I counted 31, mostly children. It was a mess. Skip this place. Instead for the price, go to Great Wolf Lodge.

We stayed at this property on December 24, 2021. We have been staying here for years the night before we fly out for our annual Christmas trip. We always do a park and fly. We love the location of this property because we can walk to the Mall of America. This property has gone downhill fast over the last year, we had a poolside room on the first floor. When we got to our room it was very clear that our bathroom was not cleaned after the last guest. The bathtub is rusting where it meets the floor, there were only 2 towels in our room for 3 of us, we checked our beds, they seemed like the bedding had been changed, but there was only one small pillow on on one bed and two on the other. They don't have their breakfast buffet anymore, which was one of our favorite things at this property. The restaurant doesn't seem to be open regularly either! I guess we'll try a different hotel from now on!

Nice, clean, quiet rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. There is even some arcade games in the pool area. Shuttle service was amazing. Beds were comfortable. Good breakfast. Internet was very good with no issues. I would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!! Very good experience for us!

Resturant food was terrible! Food was either undercooked or overcooked and we ended up with more food that we ordered and were charged for it! Pool area was a disaster the evening we checked in and was even worse when we went back at 8:00am the next morning! Never was any available pool towels - didn't wash any of them over night nor did they dump garbages over night. Dirty towels layer all over the pool area, garbages were overflowing and used plastic cups, cans, food and plates laid all over the next morning as well. Super gross and very disappointing. Called the following Monday and had to leave a message. Have yet to receive a call back…. Guessing their won't be one!

My family has regularly stayed at best westerns and have even stayed here before but we were very upset with our stay. The front light in the room didn't work to start with so we walked in to it completely dark and had to feel our way to a table lamp. The trash had wrappers in it from the previous guests. There was no soap in the room to wash our hands with, the biggest towel was no more than one foot by two. We went to the pool twice (evening and morning) and there were no towels either time. When we called the front desk for towels they said we would have to come get them from the front desk which was on the completely opposite side of the building and we were dripping wet. The breakfast was also bad which is normally my favorite part of staying at a best western. The eggs were cold and the potatoes were soggy. I made a bagel and then found an empty cream cheese bowl in the fridge so we asked for some and they were out. I tried to save the bagel so I put peanut butter and jelly on it and the peanut butter was so bad the only thing I ate was some bacon. Then to end our trip we grabbed the hair dryer bag and a used band-aid fell off of it.

Basic breakfast. Restaurant food too basic for the price. Night employees very rude. Let kids run up and down hallway at midnight. Called twice about the problem. Staff seemed indifferent to my needs. Couldn't get towels.

When we arrived we were exhausted after having attended a trade show in Las Vegas. My meal order at the restaurant was forgotten about and took forever and wasn't correct when it arrived. We checked in and asked if we could get a room close to the lobby as possible. The night desk clerk said that only the day person could change our room assignment. So, we trudged all the way to the far end of the hotel. When we got to our room it was already occupied by someone else. So, back to the front desk for another room. In our room the remote control didn't work and there were no bath towels or washcloths in the bathroom. C'mon! These are small things but annoying when all you want to do is have a bite to eat and get some rest.

We 3 women are headed to Washington D.C. & Virginia Beach!! I have stayed here in the past for the good rate of the P,S & Fly. Pleasant front desk, but they put us in a room with 1 bed?? We had to go back to the front desk and ask for a room with 2 beds. We had dinner in the restaurant J.T.'s our server was Alfredo, very nice. Our food homemade mashed potatoes!Chicken Alfredo, potato skins, I asked for some Pico or salsa?? He brought out fresh made pico!! Yummy!! There was a big hole in my bed sheet!!?? We haven't had breakfast yet; it is at 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. in the restaurant. I will probably stay here again for another trip to P.S. & Fly!!

I seek out and stay at Best Western hotels, if possible. My years of travel experience show that Best Western hotels have efficient staff. The Best Western hotel room is comfortable. Everything works! If there is a problem, the staff fixes it.

Was there for a business conference. The bar/restaurant was closed the entire time, which is an important part of our networking after our business meetings. One of our colleagues experienced a terrible scare when someone entered her room with a keycard at 3:00 a.m. The lack of security at this hotel is unacceptable. I will never recommend it for business or personal.

The check in process was very slow. Only 1 lady at the front desk and a line out the door to check in. When finay got checked in we discovered no Bath Towels in the room but was able to get some from the cleaning lady down the hall.. Over all for location and price very good.. Nice pool area with 3 different pools they have a zero entrance, regular pool and a big hot tub.. All in all I would stay here again.. Hot breakfast in the resturant was very good..

I booked almost two weeks prior to my stay. I called the hotel before I booked through the third party online with Priceline. I wanted two rooms and to have them close by each other with pool walk out. The lady I spoke with over the phone phone clearly stated that if I booked online to just call back to the hotel to request the accommodations that I was seeking. Worked out great until check in day. I get there and the supervisor checks me. She tells me I need to pay for one room as Priceline had a different credit card on file for me that was different from what I provided her at check in. She stated it was declined to I needed to pay. I pulled up my reservation confirmations, and clear as day the had my correct credit card information on file and price confirmation all set up. Then she goes on to tell me that I didn't have any notes set up under my booking, and that the staff I spoke with was new. Literally throwing her staff under the bus as if she was standing right next to her when I booked almost two weeks ago. Then she tells my rooms are on two different floors and they are not pool side at all. So she didn't accommodate me even from any of that. As her manager Christoper Collins is standing there with out a care in the world that I clearly have a huge issue with my booking. With all this going on at check in, it literally took 40 minutes for her to check me in. At that point I was completely over it. If it wasn't the sake of having my daughters sleep over guest confirmed at this location. I would have just said give me my money back. She didn't tell me about the compliments breakfast, I almost didn't get two more blankets. They had no broom, dust pan, or vacuum available so I could clean the floor after the kids ate. It was the most awful experience ever! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

This is a clean comfortable hotel. The pool was shut for repairs but was about to reopen. Staff very helpful, Breakfast is ok , there were a few favorites missing. Bed was very comfortable. Walking distance to Mall of America and a 20 minute drive to most parts of Minneapolis and Saint Paul

Booked conjoined rooms for a bday pool party. The pool was down, notified 30 min before check-in, keys only worked on 1 room, large red stain with mold in room, hotel refused to compensate. Never again

We have stayed at this hotel before and stayed for the pool area exclusively, the rate was $250/night which I do not feel was worth the money. It was more expensive than other comparable hotels by about $75-100 but we wanted the kids to enjoy the pool since it was supposed to rain quite a bit so valleyfair waterpark was not an option! HOWEVER the staff at check in/out were quick and informative as well as very friendly. Room was clean and average sized for a hotel room, bathroom is a little small but was clean The SHUTTLE driver to the airport as well as the mall of America (free) (we didn't fly just went to the mall) was super friendly, informative and entertaining. We never waited more than 10 minutes for him to arrive, please tip this man if you are lucky enough to have him as your driver!!! He saw there were 2 women and two children with long hair as well so when we went to the front desk to ask for additional shampoo and conditioner as we forgot ours he gave us each a bottle! The pool area is great here, guests are kinda messy and the staff did a great job of picking up dirty towels, trash etc. they seemed to walk through about every hour or less while we were there to ensure it was tidy, although the chlorine was very strong if you are sensitive to that. Breakfast was good as far as free hotel breakfasts go, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and a few other hot items as well as standard breakfast items, coffee, juice, water. Breakfast attendants continually filled any empty items. Ample parking with lots of entry doors, free parking which is a plus since many places charge in the cities. Wifi worked great, kids NEED (spoiled) to play tablet games right!! This trip the restaurant/bar was closed for maintenance as I'm sure with covid it was a good time to do so so that was a little disappointing and a cocktail would've been nice but we have eaten there before when staying and it was good both food and drinks. Would definitely stay again but not if the rate was over $150, it's a great hotel for families visiting the mall or flying out, staff is really great, customer service was great and I know they don't set the hotel rates they simply just check me in and they did a great job!!!!

It's across the street from Mall of America ... not really walking distance but we drove daily and got there in two minutes. Very clean hotel, very modern inside for sure. The pool area was great, my kids loved it as it offered more than just a pool. Small arcade area, hot tub and kids shallow play pool too. Free breakfast from 6-9 am... didn't offer much but usually they don't. We still went down and enjoyed coffee, hot cocoa and juices. They offer a shuttle to the mall but we didn't use it. Would recommend this place as I can't think of any real negatives to mention.

We traveled with a 4 month old and a 4 year old. Upon arriving at our room we noticed it was warm. The thermostat was set at 68 but was 77 in the room. Called the front desk and within 10 minutes we were moved to a new room. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The pool was a huge hit with the 4 year old, she preferred it over shopping! We love the proximity to the MOA. The hotel is easy to get to and as close to the mall as you can get without being in it! It is nice to be able to have a choice with breakfast, hot or cold, so when you stay multiple nights you are able to get a variety. Staff was attentive when we needed them. This is our motel of choice when we come to the MOA, we will continue to stay here every trip.

Room was missing bath towels and hand soap. Apparently hotel didn't have hand soap available. Not worth the poolside price in my opinion. Carpet in rooms are just gross. Bedding was decent. Breakfast options were not good. Again for the price, we'll look elsewhere next time.

We stayed on Saturday 7/24, checked in around 5pm. The front desk staff at that time was decent. We got to our room which was 80 degrees and extremely humid, so humid the beds felt wet. It was gross. There was a big wet spot on the floor by the fridge that at that time wasn't even working. There was mold around the bath tub and the floor in the bathroom felt slimy. Upon arriving, there were groups of guys in the parking lot, some were intoxicated and still drinking and some were just sitting there smoking pot. I normally don't care about pot, but this is a family orientated hotel. Come on. Later in the evening (around 6:30) my Son and friend's Granddaughter were swimming in the pool, which is nice....Until someone poops in/near the hot tub. We informed the front desk staff and we were asked, "what do you want us to do"? As they laughed at us. I ended up barricading chairs around it to keep the other children from going in there and then to the other pool, eventually (45 mins later) a front desk staff came down with bleach spray and a towel to wipe up the poop, she then proceeded to throw the poop filled towel in with the wet swim towels right next to us with it hanging out. Again, Gross. She then opened it up to be used for the night. About a half an hour later, my son comes running over rather upset telling me he stepped in poop on the little water slide! At that point we were done in that pool. There is absolutely no supervision ANYWHERE in this hotel. This is definitely a health code issue and is just not okay. We spend the rest of the evening in our room, had the hotel breakfast in the attached restaurant in the morning, which was decent. Sausage, eggs, fruit, toast, and many toppings. We checked out shortly after that, Just to find out that our car was extremely damaged during the night. We're not sure if someone kicked in the door or hit it, but we have a HUGE dent in our door along with many scratches. When I went to the front desk to report and ask about cameras, there was another hotel guest there that had the same issue, same door. We asked Valerie (Front Desk, Lead) who knew nothing, she didn't know if there was cameras and was unwilling to provide us with the managers information, she instead called him and told us he would be at the hotel in 15 minutes. He never showed up. We filed the police report and were able to get a first name of Chris, I stated I would call when I got home as I had a long drive ahead of me. I called later round 3:00pm and was told by a completely different hotel staff (NAE) that answered the phone that Chris was not, and is not coming in today as it is his day off. I'm unsure if Chris was ever even called by Valerie. This was by far the WORST stay I have ever encountered, which is so sad considering I stayed there 2 years ago for 2 weeks while training for work and it was the best experience not only with the staff, but the rooms, pool and management. Such a disgrace that this beautiful hotel has gone so far down hill in such a short time and all due to bad staffing. What a shame. Don't waste your time, money or effort on this hotel. I have tried calling Christopher Collins, Director of Operations, whom I have yet to hear back from. 7/27/2021 I have also left a message for Manager Mark Olson with no response.

We were supposed to stay for two nights but left after one night. No one was able to get any sleep due to screaming and yelling in the halls by adults and kids throughout the entire night. Breakfast was mediocre with many items unavailable due to them running out. We were left with eggs that had shells in them and sausage. The shuttle service was very nice with friendly drivers taking you to the mall. But we just couldn't do with another sleepless night so we checked out early. When checking out the person didn't even ask us about our experience and why we left early. I was very disappointed in our experience and sadly, we will not be coming back.

Check-in with NAE, was Terrible. Luckily Duoa came to the rescue and fixed everything. The pool area has such a strong chlorine odor that it literally burns your eyes without getting in the water. The pool was always over crowded from parties and what appeared to be groups of people not staying at the hotel. Breakfast is a sham, and the COVID excuse doesn't work for you not having basics like, BUTTER. Won't ever stay here again!!!

They messed up our room keys so we got locked out, there were no towels in the pool area, then we go down for breakfast and they don't have any food. Many people complaining to the staff and they refused to help or get people food.

We decided to stay because of the close location to the Mall of America and the nice pool area. It fit our needs pretty well but could have been better. Walking to the mall on takes about 10 minutes which was nice. Our daughter also spent hours in the pool. The room is pretty nice with all the usual amenities and a big TV (basic cable). Breakfast wasn't very good. Eggs were kind of bland and not much else on the menu. There was a bowl of lemons for a fruit bowl. Lemons? Also the bathroom had a few cleaning issues, not big but should be addressed. The vent was super dirty, the sink drain is full of gunk, and the plate behind the shower knob is on upside down. Maybe little details but worth pointing out I thought.

Great location near the mall and the main areas still look nice. The rooms need some love. The chair in our room was tattered, the wall behind nicked up and stood in water while showering. The bathroom wasn't cleaned very well, lots of dust on the light fixtures and someone before us left something in the bathroom. The pool was nice but could also just use a good cleaning and some care. Some of the decking was peeling off and sticking to your feet. Great property that we've stayed at before and probably will again but for the price we paid, it should have looked a little nicer!

Very kid friendly. Staff was very accommodating, Restaurants in walking distance, Mall across the street. My kids and myself will be making this a yearly mini Get A Away. Awesome Time!!! Can't wait to see how good the continental Breakfast will be next Year. We may go back in October, 2021

5 star from airport to hotel check inn was fast. room was outstanding. we stayed on wensday and sunday. could have not been more satisfied. pool and food service was great. trip back to the air terminal was prompt.

After a flight delay, we got into Minneapolis airport at 3:00am. I called the hotel for the free shuttle, and a very nice man picked us up within 10 minutes for the short ride to the hotel. We were checked in within minutes of our arrival, and in our rooms ready for bed shortly thereafter. We took the shuttle back to the airport the next morning to pick up our rental car and another very nice driver dropped us off right at the rental car counter. The hotel is in a great location, it's very clean, but you should definitely stay here for the customer service.

The hotel looked great. Friendly staff. But..... slow to help. Had to call twice and wait an hour to get a blanket. Breakfast is a bag of snacks. Not full breakfast as advertised. Otherwise, great location. Great nearby restaurants for breakfast. Room and hallways were clean. Would consider again in the future.

Stayed with teen granddaughters after a trip to the zoo. Pools were amazing but... Even though little kids had a giant play pool they flocked in droves to the hot tub. I tried to relax in the warm water but kept getting splashed by kids trying to swim in the tub. The regular pool was fairly crowded, but expected on a weekend. No adult pool time was set. My granddaughters were as upset as I was. Not worth the price in my opinion. Pictures were from 8am when pool opened. Within 15 minutes it was more full.

My family and I stayed this past weekend with My husband and two daughters for a weekend get away. We had a great time but could have had a much better experience. Found that the accommodations and check in process was fine. The pool area was large, clean and the kids had a great time on the splash pad. Room was spacious enough and clean, however our sink in the bathroom didn't drain. Our room wasn't cleaned the day we were our even though we put the sign out. I called the front desk to ask about cleaning and were told they'd send someone to the room at an agreed upon time. We went to the pool for over an hour during this time to get out of their way, and sadly came back to our room the exact way we left it. No cleaning had been done. Had to go to the desk to report the issue and ask for towels and staff didn't seem to care nor were apologetic or offer anything in return. Returned home yesterday and last night realized my daughter likely left her favorite stuffed animal in the room. Called the hotel immediately and left a message with the desk staff and with housekeeping. Were told we'd be called today but no one called. My husband called to follow up and desk said they don't have it. Left another message with housekeeping (second now) and still nobody has called us back. It's unfortunate that our service was so poor because our family really enjoyed the amenities otherwise. Not sure we'd go back until was they service improves. Breakfast options could also be improved.

Staying in Best qestwrn was wonderful, clean, quick check in n out, front desk lady qas super nice helpul and always was attentive to anyone standing in front of her desk to help. Loved it there pool area was the fun part, kids disnt want to leave

I tried going to the website to leave a comment but I'm unable to find it. Hopefully someone sees this. I stayed at the Bloomington, MN location just right across from Mall of America. My stay was rather a messy. When I first checked in the front desk lady let me know they were out of rooms I booked but she was upgrading my room to a poolside view room. EXCITING RIGHT?! No! When we got up to my room the room was still very dirty. This was around 6P. I had to tell my 5 year old that just got so excited about being right by the pool we had to leave. I go down stairs and let her know how the room was not cleaned at all. She then placed us in a conjoining room...NOT BY THE POOL but hey, that's great! As the days go on, we needed more towels. A person brings towels to our room but instead of knocking HE tries to unlock the door with his key and come right in. What if we were changing or anything. Thankfully the latch was on the door and he couldn't get in. That same day, we needed another key. I had the guy I was with go to the desk to TRY to get a key. His name was not on the room at all. He comes back with four keys. Two for each room. Did they not verify his name on the reservation? What if I was in a dangerous situation trying to escape and they give him access to my room to just come in. Thankfully it wasn't any of that but what if? This company would be in a huge amount of terrible. After that, I end up cancelling the last day of our trip. I wake up the morning we are suppose to leave with a $147 charge on my debit card. It turned out they didn't hit the right button and it charged me for the conjoining room that was suppose to be free! They did credit it back but that left me having to wait and still waiting days for my money to be release and I did not plan for that. My daughter absolutely loved the pool but the safety as well as how this hotel is being ran for sure needs some work! I'm an extremely loyal customer to Drury hotel but with none close by I gave this a try. Not at all pleased. I understand people have off days or bad days, so for that I'm willing to try again one day with this location BUT 1) someone need to be made aware of it and 2) something needs to be done!

Inside of hotel is really good, but in the parking lot this pieces of glass, has been there for more than 15 days. i was 2 times in a month and nobody clean, could you flatten your tires there... they need to take care of this.

Our room was not at all clean, the staff at the front desk was not knowledgeable. My card was charged incorrectly, not once but twice, I have still not seen the refund. When trying to fix this problem, the front desk person names Josie, was not only unapologetic, but extremely rude. I would never choose to stay here again.

So I have normally always stay at this location when I come to the Mall of America. Love the pool and hot tub and the staff was helpful but that is all i got for that part. Now the rest. Thankfully my daughter called here the day before we were to stay and found out that only guests who had a pool side room were to use the pool on Fridays. This is no where on the web site. Every guest that is there should be able to use the pool since they are paying for it. Now when we got into the room we saw there was not trash can and the phone was not working. They did come down to fix the phone but for the trash they gave me a huge garage bag and no room services. Also breakfast was served in a box or a brown paper bag. Could not see what was in it. It contained 1 baby muffin a tiny bottle of water, applesauce and a chewy bar. At least set it out so the guest can see what they are getting. Most hotels have pre wrapped food for breakfast at the locations where the guest can choose what they want to eat. Dont think I will be back to this hotel anymore.

Stayed at this hotel for one night for a family outing. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful from chick in to check out. The rooms were clean and spacious. The main reason we stayed at this hotel was for the pool area which my family enjoyed very much. We stayed in a poolside room that has a balcony attached where you can sit and watch your kids swim. Highly recommend you consider this hotel.

We've stayed at this hotel in the winter months in the past since we live nearby because it has a fantastic pool for kids. I was surprised by the lack of oversight of pool capacity. The 25% capacity was not being followed at all Saturday later afternoon into the evening. It was very crowded and given it's not advised to wear masks while swimming this was not safe at all during COVID especially with the B1117 (more contagious) variant ready to take off in our state. There was no one checking wristbands and I saw many people without wristbands in the pool. The hot tub capacity in "normal" times indicated 14 people and there were times when the capacity exceeded that with many kids under the age of 12 in the hot tub (a sign stated no children under 12) so I never found a chance to sit and relax in it. We paid $330 and disappointed that we weren't able to use the amenitities to their full benefit out of concern of our safety. I find the website misleading about the wristband policy. We will wait to come back once this pandemic is over.

Anybody can hang signs about their Covid and hotel rules and policies but they mean nothing at this place. Pool says open until but there were people partying until 330 in the morning. No masks, no respect for any of the other guests. Yelling and screaming all night and the front desk did absolutely nothing. Never again.

Six of us were headed to Ft. Myers for a family vacation (4 adults + 2 young kids). Our flight was unexpectedly delayed due to weather and ultimately cancelled due to mechanical issues. The airline booked an overnight stay for us at the Best Western Plus Bloomington Hotel. We waited less than 30 minutes for the hotel shuttle to pick us up at the airport (he had just left for the hotel with other guests before we called). The shuttle driver was very friendly, a great tour guide for restaurants and things to do, and it was a short ride to the hotel. The hotel was close to the airport and right across the street from Mall of America, yet still quiet. We had been in the airport since very early that morning and were quite hungry by the time we arrived at the hotel. It was a Sunday and the restaurant didn't open until 4pm, so we ordered for delivery (many food options for delivery to this hotel). The kids were eager to start our vacation, so we headed to the pool. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the pool area and discovered that it was actually a mini waterpark! The kids loved the little slide and water features in the kiddie pool. The adults liked the big pool (even warmer than the kiddie pool). The hot tub was large and looked inviting, but we didn't get the chance to try it out (kids under 12 years old were not allowed in the hot tub). Breakfast-to-go the next morning was a muffin, granola bar, applesauce and a 8 oz bottled water. Not the Best Western hot breakfast that we are accustomed to, but at least they offered something during the age of COVID-19 when many places are not. There was a "mini-mart" near the front desk offering a few snacks, toiletries and drinks for purchase at reasonable prices. Overall our unexpected stay was comfortable, warm, quiet and close. NOTE: the restaurant serves wood fired pizza, so you may smell the wood fires starting up just before the restaurant opens (smells glorious!). I happened to be by the front desk during this time and overheard a few guests voicing concerns that they smelled smoke and wondered if the hotel was on fire.

We wanted to go swimming so paid a higher fee to have a poolside room to be able to go swimming. The room was in very poor condition and smelled. The room was dirty. Stuff was smeared on the bathroom wall. I could hear the people walking above. It was so loud. They said they had max on pool occupancy but there were birthday parties happening.

I've been staying at this hotel for many years. My family and friends have also stayed at this hotel for well over 10 years, and every time before we've had a great experience. This last trip was different. The check in experience was horrible. When we first arrived the front desk lady was just standing around. Then yelled at my family member for coming up to the window to check in(no sign was posted saying only person at window). Then when she was reviewing my reservation she she started to get very short and stated she needed more info for this reservation and then started to grill me about who was going to be in the room and staying with me. Then she was yelling at another employee saying that someone turned off the heat and then left me in the middle of my check in process to turn the heat on. Then also there was the shuttle driver behind the desk and he was getting ready to leave to drop off some guests the lady almost yelled at him and said that she had to go somewhere(I believe she o use the restroom and told him to get back behind the counter).While checking in she had an issue with checking us in white their pin pad, so she had to grab another employ who was able to fix the issue and help us get checked in. Then she presented the option to eat at tier restaurant. When I asked when do they close she responded by saying “well if you don't go inside the restaurant they will close within the next half hour, or if they are not busy they will just close). The room was clean, and the hotel was quite. We've never had an issue with the rooms. When we went to the restaurant they didn't have menus ready and we had to sit and wait to just get a drink menu. Then once the drink menu was brought to us, we ordered. The first 3-4 items we wanted they didn't have. We just ordered one drink each then decided to just finish and pay and go somewhere else to get some drinks and food. Overall from the many years we have stayed at this hotel this if the first time that we've had issues. I understand with COVID that restocking the restaurant can be a bit behind, so not considering that, just the service from check in left a bad taste in our mouths. I love the location of the hotel but from this service I don't know if we or anyone in my family will be coming back to stay at this hotel. There are multiple other hotels in the area that anyone could choose from.

I wrote a raving review years ago because this hotel was AMAZING!!!! It was clean, friendly, quiet, and inexpensive- how can you beat that? I come here every year around this time to celebrate my daughter's birthday and over the years it has gone to TRASH! Yesterday, when we arrived they sent us to 2 different rooms that were not cleaned AT ALL! Pizza boxes, food all over the floor and beds not made. Finally, we got a “clean” room on the third attempt. There were A LOT of people there which is fine, but not all people were wearing masks. At night around 10pm one group decided to turn the place into a club and use a loud speaker to BLAST music! I mean surround sound type noise! I couldn't believe management allowed this. It went on for about an hour. Finally, they turned it “down”. After that, about 20 kids started running all around the arcade area yelling and screaming and playing with NO MASKS on. After about 11/12pm it stopped. I have a video, but it doesn't seem that I can post it. The next day was better. We woke up and went to the pool. The kiddie side was cold, but the pool area was warm with a slight chill. Unfortunately, my stay this time was terrible! My KIDS (ages 10, 8, 6, 4, and 1) wanted to leave the first night. Usually, kids like a bit of commotion, but it was all too much! Please get new management!

The proximity to the airport and location to the mall makes this hotel the perfect place to stay. Plus, the comfortable bed offers a good nights sleep. The shuttle service is excellent! The staff is friendly and hospitable.

Excellent service, staff very helpful, nice big, clean room. All areas were clean, Accessibility was convenient. Parking area well lit, room close to door access. Restaurant food was very good also. Joy was a joy, thanks.

Customer service was terrible! Room had stained carpet, dirty walls and broken furniture. Had a hard time just trying to get clean towels for my room. Hotel needs better security- a large fight with teenagers broke out in the hallway- not a good experience!

Friendly and efficient staff, room was clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. I used the park and fly service which made getting to and fro the airport very easy. Mall of America is within walking distance

The room was disappointing and did not come with enough bedding. The handout for the room indicated towels would be by the pool. The pool was nice but no towels. Patrons were draping them over the balconies. I asked for 12 towels. I figured 6 for me, wife and kids for pool to possibly be used over and fresh for shower. Front desk cut me off saying I could have six. The delivered 4. They must expect you to use the same towels for the pool and shower and some family members to share. They should take a marker and at least take out the comment about towels in the pool area. My biggest regret is I could have probably paid less per night at a nearby hotel with an inferior pool but had possibly had a better experience. I didn't think it would be worth complaining to front desk. I feel this is the first time I actually was considering transferring to another hotel.

When we get to our room, all the bedding was different. Some had quilts some not. The couch still had dirty sheets on it. The smoke detector is as going off. We had no towels and wash clothes. I made a call down and was told they would send someone up. They fixed the smoke detector but still waiting on sheets for one of the beds. One bed didn't have sheets but a comforter. And the pull out couch with no extra sheets or comforter and a bed with no comforter, but had sheets. We called down to the front and they had excuses why all three beds were made different. But would let us have two more comforters. And there is no breakfast any more but a grab and go, including a tiny water, granola bar, and a small muffin. They only person who wasn't rude was person who brought our stuff for the room. This is our 5th year staying here in a row for school shopping. And it will be our last. You would think they would try to accommodate, knowing all the craziness, but not at all.

my family has stayed at this hotel at least 5 times over the last 7 years, we are quite familiar with it. I appreciate they FINALLY put a limit to guests per room using the pool. In years past it was ALWAYS overrun with birthday parties and non -staying people. That was the only improvement. No towels in the fitness center (I went twice this trip) no cleaning products int he fitness center, no fans in the fitness center. Always short of towels available in the pool area. Is there a towel shortage or what? Breakfast included only carbohydrate snacks, no protein options at all. TV remote inoperable, alarm clock set to wrong time and was broken so we couldn't fix it. The cost for this hotel in this situation is outrageous. Fix these issues or lower your prices.

Something was spilled in fridge, trash in trash cans from previous guests. Blood or poop on side of toilet. Tub was dirty. When I called the front desk they said we can send housekeeping up to clean????

My kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool area and we enjoyed the closeness to MOA. My only complaint is the room we had, had red stains all over the carpet and honestly looked like it could use a good deep clean, the TV also kept cutting out so my kids weren't able to watch TV. Other then that, the room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable!

The staff at this hotel were so personable. They acted like it mattered we were there. The refrigerator was a great size and helped so much. Finding out I was right across from the Mall of America was so wonderful ( I just thought I was close). The room was immaculate, roomy and so quiet. Great stop for us.

First they couldn't find my reservation(despite having already charged me for the room) refuses to look at my drivers license to even attempt to search by name(just repeats that they have no reservations period, that I must have selected the wrong hotel. Then after realizing I wasn't going anywhere and was instead calling cooperate happens to find my reservation and check us in(nearly an hour after having made it and after check in had started) then the bathroom is dirty in the room we are given as well as the carpets wet and cold. Then we figure why not check out the hot tub but we are unable to use it due to it being overloaded with small children (ages 1-8) with staff doing absolutely nothing despite it being posted. Checked my best western rewards account and despite having made my reservation that had included my rewards ID apparently this was visit was not recorded to top it all off. Completely disgusted with this experience

heard the employees disrespectful to a family with children very unprofessional I honestly can't imagine how the children felt and it was hot outside. I would do some new training and fire those employees immediately.

The rooms are very dated and not as clean as I would have hoped. I requested a quiet room as I had to get up early to catch a flight. The gentleman at the counter said of course no problem. There was noise up and down the hallway until 1 or 2 in the morning. Kids and adults running past my door and loud voices and some screaming. Not what I would call a quiet room. They do have a coffee maker, microwave and fridge in the room which was nice I was able to use all but the only coffee in the room was decaf, no regular coffee.

Vacationing during a pandemic was something I never expected to do. On 4th of July weekend, I honestly did not expect this stupid virus to keep going. I have continued doing my long hours for work even moving the location over to my home now so my job as wife and mother has merged seamlessly into one at the same place. Deciding to do home renovations has upped that challenge so I was badly in need of a break. Against my better judgement, I decided to continue with my trip. Luckily I made it out even with infection numbers going up. No judging please. I got my break but sadly not everything here is open. Most importantly Nickelodeon Universe which my son would have loved. Also the free breakfast at the hotel wasn't the hot yummy stuff with the make your own waffles. Instead it's things that can be thrown into a brown bag. I totally understand the hotel has to follow guidelines but this meant heading over to the nearby IHOP for the kind of breakfast we were expecting. Yes it's sucky not to have a free breakfast after all but I'm still not blaming the hotel. Thank goodness the water park is available. Besides shopping, which is really only for me, I don't know what else we would have been able to do. We flew here and knew that we shouldn't need a car so we didn't get it. I knew that we could get a ride to the mall but it was an AWESOME surprise that they were willing to take us to the outlets too. I had already researched how to do it with public transportation but with the little experience we had doing that I was OH SO GRATEFUL that it was no longer necessary. Let's just say now that public transportation has become essential trips only and with all the protests that happened, having to take it is not so nice. Maybe it has always been like this but still not necessary with this hotel. The shuttle is here for guests to take us to and from the airport, MOA, outlet stores and apparently Walmart too. Maybe there's other things of interest close by that they will be ok with taking you to. The things I read about the pool area were true. I've even seen the cops paying a visit to deal with crashers. On our last day my feet needed that hot tub after spending hours at the outlets. No taxes on clothing and shoes meant I grabbed a whole bunch of stuff for the family. Lots of little kids were in there that shouldn't be. Having my AirPods and phone helped so much. I was jamming away and pretended I was somewhere beautiful. So glad I did it. My legs feel just fine right now. Very satisfied with this hotel overall. Internet worked very well. We used the fridge and microwave in our room. We always had leftovers. It would have been great to have a grocery store close by. Snacks-wise you can find things at the mall for sure. We managed to get to a target downtown. We didn't try the restaurant here. We did go to Friday's and IHOP which are pretty close. If you do try to walk to the mall, the bridge to get to it is right by those restaurants.

Starting at the beginning, the check in went smooth and front desk was friendly the whole stay. Our event was cancelled so they shuttled us somewhere else. The rooms were nothing to brag about,a little small, but clean. We don't require fancy, so it was ok. We wanted adjoining rooms and did not get them. The breakfast was good, but I have a granddaughter with celiac and they had a few gluten free items in a basket. I asked about a few things, like the eggs and nobody knew. So she pretty much couldn't eat anything. The reason I booked this property was the pool area. The kids loved it. It had a very strong chlorine smell and was hard to spend too much time there. Even the kids complained about it. That pretty much ruins he pool experience. In summary, it was ok, but a little pricey for what it was.

Shirley at the front desk gave top notch service! She Went over the above to help me with my bookings and my park and stay! Always a smile on her face! Wish we had more Shirley's in customer service!!!!

The hotel was clean and comfortable during our stay. The decor is outdated and some things need updating (like door latches on our patio door, carpet, curtains, etc.) but nothing was falling apart before our eyes. The pool area is large and kiddie pool is fun, but the water temp was pretty chilly. Our kids enjoyed it, but got cold quickly. The pool deck could use some refurbishment. It was very busy when we were there, but I didn't feel crowded or like there were too many people in the pool. We had a pool side room which was very convenient. Despite how loud the pool area was, I was impressed by how well the simple patio door kept our room relatively quiet. I received a confirmation email that said check-in was at 3PM. I called to see if earlier check in was possible and they said it wouldn't be, so we arrived at 3PM. The front desk person told us they had no rooms available. When I asked when they would be available, he said check in is at 4PM (he said it was recently "changed"). I told him the email I got said 3PM. He typed on his computer for a few minutes and then said "One just opened up." Seems a little shady... I doubt a room magically opened up while I was standing there. :\\ However, we were happy to be able to check in at the advertised time.

The check-in line was long, took over 30 minutes to check-in despite three staff members at the front desk. We had a room facing the pool for our daughters birthday. The pool area was supposed to be closed at 10:00pm but people were running around the pool, drinking, yelling up until 4:00am. We also had an incident were a few boys kept trying to enter our room where we were with our daughters.

Booked this site to catch a very early morning flight and have a place to park our car as they advertised. Check in was good, room/bed very good, meal at JT's good, and early ride to airport very good. Our last conversation with their staff was, take a business card and call the hotel when you are ready for airport pickup. Cleared customs after airport arrival and called the hotel. No one answered! We continued to call the hotel for more than a half hour and no one answered. Yes, we checked and had the right number. Frustrated, hungry, thirsty, and cold we hired a taxi to take us to our car. An additional cost to us of over $25.00. At the hotel the desk clerk said she had been away from the desk for maybe 10 minutes to help a customer and apologized. I have repeated this story many times to anyone who asks how was our trip and unfortunately for you I wiil tell it to any one in the future who inquires about our trip.

The rooms and hotel were clean. But the pool was so cold. Our 2 year old son was shaking in the pool because he was so cold. He asked to go back to the room and play in the tub instead. The pool had so much chlorine in it it burned your skin as soon as the water hit your skin. Our son ended up with a rash all over his body and screaming that he hurt. We specifically picked this hotel for the kiddie pool area and we couldn't even take advantage of it because the water was freezing. There were numerous parents and children complaining. We told the front desk was talk at check out her reply was “You should have told us. “ Even by telling them it wouldn't have immediately fixed the problem to be able to use the pool in the same night. We are just upset we spent that much money and couldn't even use the pool area.

We arrived by 5pm to check in to our pre-booked rooms only to be told that they overbooked and gave our rooms away. We were supposed to have two rooms with two queen beds and a pull out sleeper sofa In each room, we were downgraded to two rooms with two double beds. We were out two beds (we had 13 people in our party which included two little ones under 1) and we asked for some cots for the younger kids to sleep on, the response we received was that they will bring two down but that it was a fire hazard. The rooms we were given were poolside rooms, all well and good; until pool closing time. Pool closes at 10pm - or so the signs say. There were people out in the pool area screaming and yelling until well past midnight. Nothing was done after several complaints to the front desk. There were people yelling and running up and down the halls all night and nothing was done about that either. The rooms we were given, apart from being way too small, were dirty. There was food and garbage left in the microwave and something all over the floor that were not stains. We chose this hotel mainly for the pool for the kids to enjoy. The pool area had no towels anywhere, just a bunch of dirty wet ones lying around. In the smaller kids pool the water was freezing. So cold that I cringed being in it. I went into the normal pool with my toddler only to be splashed by kids running in and doing ‘cannon balls'. The continental breakfast had a wonderful selection but everything was cold. We got there at 7:30 so it had only been out for a 1/2 hour. At checkout, the woman at the counter could have cared less about how terrible our stay was. She dropped our price on our rooms but it wasn't a ‘deal' for the rooms we ended up getting. We ended up paying full price for the rooms we ended up with even with the $25 ‘discount'. Needless to say, our next family trip to the cities we will NOT be staying here.

Just an all around bad stay. No parking upon arrival; lot was completely full with cars circling. Front desk said 'sorry, keep circling. An event gets done at 5pm (in 3 hours!!).' Didn't get our requested poolside rooms. No luggage carts. No towels at the pool either night of our stay. The breakfast area was so cold the first morning we had to pack everything up and go eat in the room because my kids were so cold. After one night, our key stopped working. So we arrive back at the hotel in the afternoon with sleeping kids in our arms, and have to walk halfway around the outside of our hotel because we couldn't get in the outside hotel door! When addressing all these issues at checkout, I was told 'sorry about that.' We've stay at this hotel every time we come to the cities. We'll be finding somewhere else to stay.

We were welcomed as a "Gold Customer" and we have upgraded you to a room with a fire place. Not only did we have a fire place, we had a full sized couch, two overstuffed chairs and a HUGE room! It was lovely and very unexpected!

If you are looking for a great get away with the family this is a perfect hotel for you. We had a poolside room which was perfect for our grandkids. We loved the pool area. So nice and big and so fun for the kids. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were so friendly and so helpful. Our room was nice size with 2 queen beds and a very nice bathroom. The restaurant was attached to the hotel and great food. The hotel is located across from the Mall of America and shuttle service is great. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with a large variety of food. This hotel is well worth the money. Your will enjoy your stay.

The beds were awesome!! Comfortable, clean, beds. The room was extremely clean and smelled fresh. Just stayed overnight as we had a late flight. My only complaint, is that we waited one hour for the hotel shuttle.

We recently stayed at this hotel, our room was nice as was the free breakfast. The pool area was packed with kids and people seemed to be just walking in from outside and going into the pool area. The hot tub was filled with little kids even though there was a sign stating no one under 12. They were splashing and jumping in from the side of the hot tub. I spoke to the front desk and no on there seemed to care. The pool area was also not very clean appearing. We booked and paid through Priceline and came home to find 2 charges from the hotel totaling nearly $150 on our credit card. I called the guy who answered said call back next week, our accountant isn't in. I told him that was not acceptable, he transferred me to someone who said they would take care of it. Who knows if they will or not, at least it is through Capital One and they are great about addressing fraud if I need to.

Great staff can make your entire stay!!! Ebony was amazing at the front desk! Nice rooms, lots more room conpared to most! Nice pool! Everything was great!!! Would definately recommend AND return to stay at this hotel!!! Our entire family, including young kids loved it!!!

Very clean nice hotel with great staff. Rooms were very quiet. Great place for families to get away. The pool area is so much fun for kids no matter what age and the poolside rooms are awesome! Restaurant food is not gourmet but pizzas and burgers were reasonably priced and good enough to be able to stay at hotel so kids could have more pool time. Free Breakfast was ok - stepup from continental - but nothing to brag about.

Loved this Best Western! So close to the Mall you can walk! They do provide a shuttle service as well to and from. Easy to find hotel, the rooms and whole appearance was clean and tidy! The pool area was awesome and they have a good size HOT hot tub!!

When we checked in to the room there was a fake nail on the bench in the room. That was pretty nasty. & We had no idea that there was gonna be a pool like that. There was no mention when we booked the room and I have looked all over the website to see if there are pictures of the pool and I couldn't find it, so my kids were so disappointed when we got a pool view room and they couldn't play. :( The breakfast in this hotel was AWESOME. They had plenty of choices. The location is also really good as well. We had 3 children with us and were able to walk to MOA and to dinner that night. The hotel was really nice! & we would definitely stay here again!

It was a great one night family getaway with the kids. The restaurant was great, and our waitress was amazing (wish I was better with names so I could remember hers). The front desk woman was also amazing, and our kids loved her hair. The pool and little waterpark was a huge hit. The price was great!

Great location to MOA. Don't rely on shuttle to mall, only to airport but easy walk or drive to MOA as it's right across road. Hotel restaurant- food was terrible and expensive. Beds are very small- double not queen. Overall clean hotel, enjoyable pool area.

My family stayed here on 12/28/19 for 1 night. The room is definitely dated and needs TLC. There is not usb plug ins and the furniture and paint was showing a little more wear and Tare since our previous stays. The pool area closes at 10 pm but people were still running around and screaming all night long. The on-site restaurant was good except for my pizza bottom was covered in raw flour. would stay again if they renovate and have better control over the pool area after hours.

The room was fine. A little old and worn. Hard to get to eventhough it is near the Mall of Americas. Front desk staff were great. Didn't use the breakfast. Exercise room was fine. Easy airport access.

They have super friendly and helpful staff ,nice rooms ;good breakfast ‘great in house restaurant and easy access to the mall with their free shuttle . The pool area is great with a large pool ,kiddy pool with mini slide etc and a big hot tub for adults

When we got our luggage at the airport, we called & the shuttle picked us up within a half hour. it was very busy when we arrived at the hotel and they weren't sure if our room was ready but it was! I had to tell them I am a platinum member so there was no recognition until I said something. We dropped off our luggage in the room and took the free shuttle to the mall & we used the shuttle to go back to the hotel afterwards. The room was clean but the noise in the hallway is overbearing at times, which is not the hotel's fault. Shame on you people! I'm glad that we didn't have a room around the pool area cause when we peeked in there, it was crazy loud! We did eat at the breakfast buffet which is held in the restaurant maybe due to how crowded the hotel was. We waited in line about 20 minutes to get food. Usual fare, it was nice to get something to eat! The reason I said to be careful of check in/out is because I had received a free night voucher due to staying at another property during a promotion. When I checked my account today, the hotel had deducted 20,000 points from my account. I had to call customer service & was told that they were not supposed to remove my points since I had my voucher & that when I made the reservation it was even noted that I was redeeming a voucher. Customer service said my points will be returned to me. I had purchased a coupon book at the mall so when we were checking out, I asked the gentleman at the front desk if he could pass it along to someone else. He laughed and said that the hotel had "like 400 of those" so no. So was I supposed to get one when I check in? I was not offered one. So when we were waiting for the shuttle back to the airport, we heard the clerk tell the female clerk that the coupons had like a $1,200 savings value & said "I don't know, ask them" So she asked if she could have my book. Sure, I didn't mind since I was going home & it's nice to know that employees aren't allowed to take them but during check in I did ask what time the next shuttle was so I was going shopping, I could have saved myself some money. The people running the shuttles were awesome. We always made sure we tipped them. We used them for the airport & the mall. You can walk to the mall if you wanted. Walk down to the bridge which takes you into the another hotel parking lot which will take you inside the mall. Looks like it could be a 15-20 minute walk, but it was cold so we opted for the shuttle. We did go into the restaurant when we returned for a drink. I had a margarita, and it was pretty bad.

45 min late check-in..rude front desk, shuttle driver yelled at kids, no monitoring in pool area. Kids were throwing football and hitting people, brought football to front desk and they gave it back to the kids.

We stayed here during the Thanksgiving weekend. I was looking for a large suite with poolside rooms to host some family. We got a room with a fireplace and a couch and a king size bed that overlooked the two large pools. It had a fridge and a microwave. the room was lovely and clean and actually the hotel was very quiet for all the people that were in and out. the rates were really reasonable. I have to give a special complement to Ebony who was at the front desk for two of the days we were there. She was absolutely delightful. Had a smile on her face the whole time and was very friendly. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for families. it's right behind the mall of America and we were able to walk across the street to go shopping.

During check in we had the pleasure of meeting Ebony! Who is wonderful at her job and really makes a guest feel welcome. We just had a one night stay to use the shuttle service for the air port. Ebony made sure we got everything that we needed done at check in and made sure all of our questions were answered Thanks for the great experience Ebony!

I have stayed here a couple of times. They let to many people in the pool area that are not staying at hotel. You will not be able to use the hottub on a weekend due to the kids that come to the hotel to visit guests or for party's. They should have wristbands or something.

Booked four rooms for 3 nights each a month in advance for a family event. Requested connecting rooms. Confirmed twice before arrival. Not available when we arrived at 9:00 PM. Trip was painful at this hotel. Standard answer was you booked through a third party we cannot help! The only employee that was any help at all was Ebony. She was a very pleasant employee, always smiling and helpful. Spoke to two managers, worthless. Breakfast was not good, restaurant was a mess. No staff in restaurant to keep neat and clean. Loved the pool area, but beware no staff ever at pool. Hotel needs more staff and needs to be trained in Customer Service skills. There are lots of choices in Bloomindale to choose from!

Great place to take the family for the pool area that has a lot for the kids. The breakfast was really good as well, a large variety of things. The shuttle was really fast, always there within 10 min.

From start to finish, room service to restaruant this was the most friendliest, cleanest, best value and bang for my buck that I've ever spent at a hotel! You need to experience this place on a business trip or with family and MUST eat n drink at their restaruant!

Great location for Mall of America shoppers.. shuttle drivers are very friendly... Ebony at the front desk is a delight! Dinner menu contains great variety with a new chef on staff and very reasonable prices!

We spent about an hour and a half waiting while the repair man fixed our heat in the room. The reception desk should have simply changed our room. We asked to have the shuttle driver take us to a location 4.6 miles away. Another couple was also waiting to be taken in the same direction, to Hobby Lobby (roughly 4.2 Miles away). The driver drove the other couple but refused to drive us. Reception told us that they would deliver within a 5 mile radius. My wife called Adam Herbranson, the GM, yesterday and left a voice message requesting a call back. We have not yet received a call. Our experience, needless to say, was not satisfactory. We expected much better from Best Western. If we would have not been told about the shuttle service when we called to book the room we would not have the same disappointment with the service. The shuttle was one of the service items we thought would be very helpful.

The Best Western Plus is a great family-friendly hotel located directly across the street from the Mall of America. The rooms are large and clean, and the included breakfast is amazing-lots of good, hot food with seating in the on-site restaurant. We LOVE the pool area here as it is huge and includes a toddler area, a large swimming pool, and a hot tub, as well as plenty of seating and arcade games. The downsides to this hotel are the crabby front desk staff and the fact that there are always SEVERAL birthday parties going on on Saturday nights in the pool area. This makes the pool area and pools incredibly crowded and loud. The hotel does not seem to manage how many people they allow to have parties in order to account for the extra 'visiting' guests who are not actually paying customers. Because of the room, pool area, and breakfast, we still love this hotel, however, and hope they find a solution to the overcrowding on the weekends.

The room was amazingly clean. Our conference was held here so it was close to our rooms. Nice ambiance and clean swimming pools. Good food was being served during the buffet breakfast. It also near at the Mall of America which is a 5 minute walk.

We use BW whenever we can because we always know that it will be clean in a good location and friendly staff. We are building points as well but have not used any of them yet. The shuttle service at BW Bloomington, MN was exceptional too. Ron was our driver.

We hosted our annual conference here and they did a great job making us feel welcome and comfortable. Everything worked seamlessly. The spaces were perfect. The food was fantastic - breakfast, lunch, and a banquet dinner. From the sales department, to the front desk, to the shuttle driver, to the chefs and waitstaff, I was impressed by all. The pool area was much larger than appears on the website and makes a great area for families with children of all ages. It is walking distance to the Mall of America and public transportation to get almost anywhere you'd like to go. The rooms were spotless and well maintained. I'd recommend it for business meetings, conferences, or just a family vacation.

Overall the room was clean. We did find a spot on the top cover of the bed but we just took it off and didn't use it. DuWayne, our shuttle driver twice, was amazing. The gal that waited on us in the restaurant was very good. She delivered our food to us in the pool area. The front staff was helpful too.

This is our 2nd stay at Best Western Plus and we will be back. Overall very good stay. Cleanliness and location are great. Breakfast area is quite crowded at all times and they would use a higher variety of food, but what they had was good.

As a BW Rewards Gold member, I chose to stay at the Best Western Plus Bloomington for an event being held there. The hotel advertises an airport shuttle, so I opted for that. That was my first mistake. I arrived at the hotel shuttle area at the airport at 9:02PM. I waited and waited. The shuttle finally arrived at 9:52PM. I asked the driver if he ran only once an hour. He said, "No, every 20 minutes." I said that wasn't true, because I had been waiting there for nearly an hour. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive away. In retrospect, I should have taken the light rail from the airport to Mall of America and walked to the hotel from there. It would have been much faster. When I got to the hotel, the assistant manager was working with me at the reception desk. He was very apologetic about the shuttle issue and said he would ask the driver why there was such a delay. Although all of the other guests from the shuttle were able to check in quickly and easily, there was some problem with my room. The check-in process took a very long time (approximately 20 minutes). While the assistant manager waited to hear back from housekeeping to see if my room was ready, I asked how late the pool was open. I was looking forward to using at least the hot tub. He told me that the pool area had just closed at 10PM! As it turned out, it wasn't a great loss. The pool area at the hotel is primarily a children's water play park. Throughout the hotel, including the reception area, I saw barefoot children in bathing suits. It was clear that this hotel caters to the family water play park crowd. The room itself was very nice with a very comfortable bed. Unfortunately it was overlooking the pool area. The strong, chlorine odor from the pool permeated the room. The big problem was the noise coming from the pool area. Although the pool area closed at 10PM, a large family was having some kind of party down there that was still going strong at 1AM. For two hours, I heard children screaming and shrieking. I went out on my second floor balcony to see what all the commotion was. It was complete pandemonium in the pool area. I saw children running laps around the pool with the bellhop carts. It was like being in the middle of a three-ring circus! There was no way to sleep without ear plugs. I finally went down to the reception desk just before 1AM to complain about the excessive noise from the party. The desk clerk sent the shuttle driver to investigate. I set my alarm for 8:30AM but didn't need it. The screaming, shrieking, and utter pandemonium in the pool area woke me up at 7:55AM. I decided to check out the breakfast in the restaurant. The place looked as though there had been a food fight. It was hard to find a clean table. One table had banana peels and used plates all over it even though there were large trash cans for people to throw away their trash. I took the cleanest table I could find and ate my scrambled eggs as fast as I could. This hotel is a great choice for families with kids who want a "free for all" atmosphere. For other travelers, it may not be the best choice. The circus atmosphere was more than I could take. I spent only one night, and it was one night too many. I will not return to this Best Western property.

We went here for a one night stay with my six year old anticipating to have fun at the water park. I was surprised for how big it is there was no attendant or life guard or anything. It was absolutely packed and there wasn't one towel to be had. I walked back to the room and grabbed one out of the room and the maid told me that wasn't allowed as I was walking back. I told her they better address the fact there were no pool towels available and kept walking. We had fun but it was packed so be ready for that. Then ordered room service pizza and it was excellent The room is nice and the beds are ridiculously comfy. I was surprised the toilet was a public toilet style and very loud. Will stay again Very clean. Have Fun!!!

great room. great location. great free breakfast. great kiddie water park. very nice stay, but front desk experience could have been better. they were not very friendly. we would come again. would recommend.

This hotel was well maintained, well staffed and everyone was very courteous and friendly. The hotel was full but the staff kept it running very smoothly. The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast has a nice selection and plenty of seating. We really enjoyed the pool area as it had a childrens pool that was large enough and entertaining enough to keep the grandchildren happy. This was our second stay and we will definitely stay again.

I'm not visiting the MOA but a family member at the VA facility where there isn't a hotel nearby. This hotel is across the street from the mall and there are a couple of restaurants nearby outside the mall. Those would be the pluses. The negatives were the noisy hall outside my room, hearing the neighbors TV, listening to the plumbing squeak next door and understanding the people in the room above mine didn't walk softly. A quiet night's sleep didn't happen. Disappointed.

This hotel was a great value and centrally located to many attractions. Although the hotel is location next to a busy road, the rooms were very quiet. Overall rating is excellent. Thanks to all the Best Western staff.

A friend and I stayed there in August 2019. The place was clean, safe , and comfortable. The front desk team were always kind and helpful. The shuttle to the mall is a great bonus, as is the breakfast. The pool and hot tub were nice too. I would stay here again.

Great location for shopping Mall of America and very close to MSP airport. Nice big rooms and great pool area for kids. Only gripe would be that it is very difficult to find your room. Hotel seems to laid out like a giant H. Lot of walking involved but other than that a nice hotel. Parking right outside the door. Shuttle bus to airport and I even think there is one to the Mall even though it is just across the road, about a ten minute walk, there are steps involved as it is an overpass bridge way over the road. There is an elevator but not sure it it works all the time. Would stay again.

Room is very spacious. Beds are comfy. Restroom is spacious too but bathtub though is slow to drain. Not so much choices on their breakfast, no bacon, no shredded cheese. I'm just used to have them everytime I stayed at Best Western and surprised they don't have it on the day of our stay.

This location has the best pool for the kids, room are clean and staff is friendly. Best part is they have a manager in the restaurant named Jordan who is just awesome and made the happy hour even better. I would go back just to have the happy hour

Best western has not resolved this issue. it was a rare relax trip for myself the night before a medical procedure in the metro. I live 2 hours away. when you are a mom, you often take care of yourself last. I just wanted a soak in a hot tub and watch TV. when the hot tub was cold, I settled for a hot bath. only to find myself surrounded in mold. it could have stopped the procedure and I would have had to wait another 3 months

Our stay at Best Western Plus Bloomington Hotel was great. First of all, they were kind enough to allow me to store a car seat for nearly 2 weeks - that was a huge plus and saved me a lot of hassle! I thought every staff member I encountered were friendly and the hotel itself might be a bit dated but it is clean and comfortable. My kids (aged 2 & 4) had a great time at the water park. I would definitely stay here again.

This a great hotel hands down! Pretty clean, big pool, free breakfast, friendly staff. Shuttle service to the mall. We invited two other couples with their kids. They loved it as much as we did. Make sure to book in advance though.

They say first impression goes a long way certainly I was impressed with this hotel and what it offers. Will for sure come back to visit in the near future. Just one hiccup :Wi-fi not so great just hope it gets better

As always the stay was great. Pool area is fantastic for everyone in the family. Great free morning breakfast with wide choice of items. Free shuttle rides to and from the mall. Rooms are quiet and comfortable.

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights and it was a fantastic stay. The room was a great size and check in was easy and quick. The lady behind the desk was very welcoming and friendly. The pool area was great, my daughter spent hours in the splash pool and big pool. It was clean and lots of fun. There is a great selection at breakfast, with hot choices as well as your normal cereal, yogurt etc. The alternate some of the hot dishes so it's not the same thing everyday. I will definitely look at staying here again!!

Beautiful hotel located 5mn walking distance from Mall of America. They also offer free shuttle to the airport as well as mall of America. I was traveling with a family of 5. We reserved a queen room with pullout sofa. The room was large and had a desk area as well. The bathroom had a tub and shower. We were in room 1246 it was the first floor. Our room was close to ice/vending machines, laundry facility and pool. Not so close you heard the noise. The pool area is huge kids could spend an entire day here. There were at least 2 pools (one for smaller kids with a slide and splash pad) and the second pool went to 5ft. The hot tub was also very large. There's a small game room and vending machines right near the pool. The only downside was the pool was often very crowded and noisy. Free breakfast was above average but not the best I've ever had. We had scrambled eggs and sausage both days, there's also a waffle station with quite a few toppings then fresh fruit, yogurt, and your typical bagels and toast. I believe there was also dry cereal. The seating area for breakfast was huge, which was a nice change from other hotels. The only downside to breakfast, there was only 1 station to get your food and at one time I counted the line at 60 people long. This was on a Tuesday morning. Breakfast is also only served 6a-9a. The first day we went at 830 that's when the line was insane. Second day we went at 730 and it was quiet and pretty much no line. Pool hours are 8a-11p which was also nice. Other than mall of America there wasn't a whole lot right in this area. Restaurant near by were IHOP, TGI Fridays and a Mexican restaurant. Like I said before the mall is a 5mn walk or 5mn drive and there were more dining options there of u don't mind spending more. Overall this was a nice hotel, rooms were great and it was truly a great value for all you got. I'd highly recommend.

It seemed like the hotel was short staffed so they got the maintenance man to run the front desk. The shuttle driver told us he can't take us to the mall so we should just walk. So rude and unprofessional.

Let me get out first why I only gave 3 stars. Pool water was cold. and my son watched videos on his iPhone before going to bed, than put it under his pillow. In the morning when I packed I totally forgot get and my charger. I called 5 min after I left and said I'd be there shortly to get my phone and charger. I go in and the man at the front desk walked with me to the room cause they only had my charger. Myself, him and the maid were in there looking under the pillows and everywhere else even though I knew it was under his pillow. Wasn't there. I know it was taken. I did all the packing and my son is 6-he didn't even wake up until right before we left and when we were leaving out of the room, he was on MY phone. So I'm very upset about it. He didnt have cell service, just used it when he had WiFi, so I couldn't call it. At check in, I came in around 8 pm, they didn't even make eye contact with me. The guy kept talking on the phone and when he got off, he took my ID and CC never looking at me, asked my last name, gave me my keys and a map of the hotel. Not very hospitable. Otherwise, great breakfast, the beds and pillows were the best I've had at a hotel, walking distance to the mall. (Don't bother waiting on that dang shuttle). You can even walk to nearby restaurants like TGI Friday's and IHOP. Good prices on rooms, and the room was very clean.

I fell asleep in one-minute those beds were so comfortable everything was clean and well maintained. I missed the complimentary continental breakfast and slept right through it. I will definately return. They have a large pool area and a wade splash pool for the kids.

We stay here because of walking distance to MOA. The updates in lobby and hallways need to be extended to rooms. The bathroom walls had a lot of water splatter on them and the sheet had some hair... I feel like the updates to the libby are gorgeous but the rooms could use a refresh.

Loved the location so close to Mall of America. Our room overlooked the pool, which is very nice and great for kids, and it was clean and comfortable. This hotel had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in - I like softer beds, so it was perfect. Would recommend and would stay here again.

We loved it pool area wa fantatic, Kids loved it. My husband loved the hot tub we were able to have supper from the resterant in the pool area so the kids could swim until food came we will definatly go back next time we are in Minneapolis

Stayed here three nights on our first trip to Minnesota. If you are going to the mall of america this is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and updated. The staff from the front desk to the bar are all very friendly. The best feature is there are free shuttles from the airport and the mall

We were traveling with a 9, 5, and 3 year old and the pool area accommodated them all. Plus the whirlpool was very spacious for the adults. This hotel is about a minute from the Mall of America and 15 minutes from the Minnesota Zoo.

Everything was great. Being able to find a room without a reservation on a Saturday night was great. The gentleman at checking did what he could to find us a room. The next morning, when I decided to extend my stay, the staff took care of us. Even allowing us to stay in the same room. During breakfast the staff was very attentive, friendly and eager to attend to our needs. The indoor pool made it a great hit with the kids. We extended our stay just because the kids could not get enough of the Iy. It is very close to the Mall of America. The complementary Shuttle service was also a great hit. The price is a bit high $185.52 first night, $133.92 the second one. Nevertheless, I would stay there again.

Great location next to main highways (which I didn't hear in the hotel), the airport, and Mall of America. The hotel is easy to access by car, and walking to MoA is a simple stroll (I did it with our 20-month-old in her stroller). The breakfast has the typical fare, although they gussy up their scrambled eggs with a bit of pepper (the seasoning) and cheese, which is nice. There's also chocolate chips and whipped cream for the pancakes or waffles (depending on the day) if you're so inclined. And they have double chocolate chip muffins so that's double bonus points right there. There are two pools: one is your standard hotel pool, and the other has a zero-depth entry with a handful of kid-oriented features. Enough to keep a younger kiddo occupied for a while. The rooms themselves aren't anything exciting, but they're not inadequate, either.

Hotel was great! Vanessa at the front desk was amazing! She was so helpful and knowledgeable! Mario and Duwayne (the shuttle guys) were also amazing! They made our rides worth taking!! And Deb, the night lady was also so great! They all deserve raises!

BW Plus is always clean, reliable, courteous staff and up to date furnishings. We are never disappointed when booking a stay at BW Plus. We've used other hotels over the years and always come back to BW Plus because you always know what to expect and we're never disappointed.

This hotel was recommended to us by friends who have stayed here before and enjoy it. We actually met them and stayed at the hotel for the weekend. It was easy to get to and the location right across from the Mall of America is great! The rooms were nice, ours needed a little upkeep (painting, light fixture/ceiling titles loose) but otherwise it was great. We utilized the pool area the most and it was fantastic for the little ones. I saw a lot of older kids enjoying it as well. We had a poolside room and it was super to just walk out to the pool area. My only complaint is the pool was cold.

Basic hotel, mainly clean and service was nice. Bed was good and room was large. Breakfast was also fine - nothing special but fine. Parking was free to the hotel customers and Mall of America was near.

We had the family suite not with pool view. It was extremely quiet and clean. The room was perfect for our family of 5. Plus, on occasions our room served as the meeting place for extended family members staying at the hotel so we could discuss plans and still had plenty of room. Fireplace was a great touch and served not only as a nightlight for the kids but a quiet reflection focal point for winding down after a busy day. Pool (both pool areas) was absolutely awesome and provided some lasting fun experiences. The water dispensers throughout the hotel were wonderful and had great tasting water so we could refill our water bottles. Nice touch!!! The breakfast was good...nothing that sticks out but supplied substance. Loved the use of the restaurant for seating. Definitely would come back. Wish all Best Westerns were like this!!!#

Quick service for shuttle from airport to hotel. Personnel very welcoming and professional. Room was clean and bright. Continental breakfast was delicious with variety each morning. This was a very nice facility and convenient location. The pool facilities were perfect for my 5 year old granddaughter. I was slightly disappointed that they allowed so many very young kids in the hot tub but otherwise very nice.

Nice room, good lounge with good food. One of the best breakfasts at any BW ever, but busy. Not the friendliest or helpful front desk, full of excuses for things. Great airport shuttle. Be wary, lounge/restaurant likes to close early and not follow posted hours. Easy walking distance to MOA.

Stayed here before an early flight on vacation. Close to the airport and within walking distance from the Mall of America. Many restaurants and shopping around. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and gave us recommendations. Older hotel but in good condition.

Very comfortable rooms, helpful staff, easy shuttle to the airport....a great place to stay! I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would ask for would be a hard-copy telephone book in the guesst rooms for old-timers like me.

My husband and I took my daughter and grandson for a family vacation to Mall of America. We do not enjoy driving in traffic and we really appreciated the complimentary shuttle service provided by BW Hotel! Front desk staff and shuttle drivers were super nice and very helpful. Pool was very fun for my 3 year old grandson!

The front desk staff were very rude and unhelpful. First of we got a dirty room, and when we talked to the front staff worker he did not apologize nor did he seem to want to give us another room. Also for some reson both of our key's stopped working after the first day and we again went to the front desk and the girl we talked to insist it that it was our fault that it didint work. I stayed there 4 years ago and everything was fantastic but it cleary has gone downhill. Wont be staying there again.

We were just in the area to check out the Mall of America. The price was cheaper than others that were in the same vicinity. Close enough to walk to the mall but the shuttle service was also a great option.

If you want to be overrun by large groups of unsupervised kids this is the place for you. At least 3 large groups were having birthday parties in the pool area where they had us sign at check in that we would not have large parties. Maybe that's why all the towels were gone.

We have always enjoyed staying at this hotel because of the poolside rooms available but the cleanliness and quality of stay has quickly diminished over the last several years. This is the second stay in a row that we have had things stolen from the pool area while swimming! So many trashy people staying there not supervising their children. During our last stay an unsupervised child almost drown in the hot tub, another unsupervised child swimming in the big poo swallowed so much water that he care out and threw up on the side of the pool and poop on the floor in the common bathrooms by the pool! So gross! Also- we went to the front desk when we realized that something of value had been stolen and she was so rude and unhelpful saying they didn't have cameras but in fact they do!

Upon checking in things seemed good and it had a water park for the kids which was great. Pool was over crowded and couldn't enjoy the hot tub because all the moms decided to take over it and drink and eat pizza in it. After swimming we decided to go to the room and get ready for bed and that was disgusting and there was a live bug under the blanket and then when we pulled the sheets off the bed there was dried blood stains on the sheets and down to the mattress. I won't ever be staying here again.

Stay at the Best Western. Very clean, nice rooms. Shuttle drivers were all wonderful and welcoming. Restaurant was good food and good service. Only bad thing was the front desk ladies. Seemed to always be in a poor mood or just had no welcoming skills at all. It left a very unwelcoming feel to the whole stay. They need to be replaced with people who care about their visitors. Or sweeten up a bit.

Great location and the shuttle bus service made our stay so much easier! The restaurant, JT's had amazing food & drinks! Pizza was the best hotel-pizza we've ever had! Bar drinks delivered for room service were delicious!

The Hotel was nice. Check-in was not good, we waited an hour to get into our rooms after driving 5 hours to get there and we got there at 3, Check in time! Then, I spoke to the head desk girl when I used my card that I didn't want it charged on that card after the stay .I was going to pay in cash. And when we went to check out they already charged the card and told me she couldn't change it. I would have to wait for a manager to get there. And that would of been a two hour wait. We drove 5 hours... not going to wait for someone when they should have things written down and done the way a person asks.

My 8 year old and I stayed here for 2 nights and all I have to say is wow!! This hotel is top notch! It's updated and clean! The pool area is outstanding! There is a huge toddler pool with a slide and other splash things. Huge and clean! Then there's a main pool and it's huge!!! And the hot tub is huge and awesome and clean too! The beds were super comfortable! The staff here is nice. The shuttle service was good too! We got a shuttle within a couple minutes each time. Awesome service! The breakfast was huge! Hot, cold, desserts, drinks, etc. I only got fruit and that was fresh and my son enjoyed the donuts and pancakes! I would definitely stay here again!!!

We've stayed at this hotel twice now, because of it's proximity to the Mall and the waterpark. It's honestly one of the best places to stay with kids if you're doing anything at the MOA. Our last stay, in 2017, we had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was top notch. Unfortunately, this time around we experienced room mix ups, rude staff, deactivated room keys, and cold breakfasts. Another party in our group had their key deactivated on three different occasions (to FORCE her to come to the front desk) where she was told that they didn't have her reservation, after already giving her a room, and tried to ask her to leave! I couldn't believe it. Upon my Mom checking in, we were told that they only had ONE SINGLE ROOM in our reservation (for 9 people- 6 adults and 4 kids) and were going to have to put us all in one room with bedding and rollaways. They offered her NO HELP and insisted that she would have to call Hotels.com to fix anything since we booked through a "third party." Obviously that wasn't an acceptable answer, so I visited with the very nice and very accomodating night manager, who explained that the other 2 rooms had been booked under my sister and I's names. We got checked in with no further issue, but still couldn't believe that the front desk lady wouldn't ask if there were any other names the rooms could be under? She essentially sent my Mom away after offering zero help with over $900.00 charged on her credit card and one single room for 9 people. My sister and brother-in-law also had another family try to gain access to their room after they were given the same room number. To summarize my long review, I understand this is a busy place (especially on the weekends), and that mistakes can be made. However, families pay a premium price to stay at this hotel and should be treated with fairness and understanding. Train your staff to solve problems, not merely point them out and keep moving to the next person, and organize yourselves (when you know you're booked) so that everyone (and every room) is on the same page.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is a very clean hotel. Very close to the Mall. Good hot breakfast. Very nice pool area for kids and adults with a huge hot tub. Rooms weren't quite ready because they were full the night before so we went to the Mall for a little bit and when we come back they ready. Thanks for the nice stay!

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Bloomington Hotel last weekend (March 22 - 24 2019) This was the second time we had stayed at this hotel and it has really taken a turn for the worse. We stopped to check in and were told our rooms were not ready yet, as we had reserved 2 rooms and requested that they were adjoining - you cannot reserve adjoining rooms prior to check in - this should be changed!! The gal that checked me in at that time told me we would have adjoining rooms and we could return later at anytime to pick up our keys. My family went out to enjoy our day and returned to the hotel after supper to find out that we now had one room on the 1st floor and the 2nd room on the 2nd floor of the hotel! They had given away the adjoining rooms!! We downsized to one room as a result- having young children it would not be plausible for us to have rooms so spread apart. When we gave up our second room we were told we would not be charged for that room - Only to find that we were fully charged for both nights for the room that we gave up!! I called the hotel to talk to them about the charge and was yelled at by the front desk staff that answered the phone. They transferred me to the GM who was not available at the time so I had to call back and talk to someone else at the front desk and start all over! This is very maddening. The same weekend we had friends staying at the hotel and their reservation was cancelled by the hotel not once, but twice! The breakfast room is nice and they had a lot to offer, but some of the hot items were cold even when you show up for breakfast shortly after it starting. I would not recommend this hotel. Also walls are very thin so any talking above a low voice in the rooms next to you or in the hall travels.

In December I booked a pool side room. The beginning of March I received a phone call stating that the pool side room was not available, and that we had been moved to a pool view room for an adjusted price. Upon check in we ended up in a room that faced the parking lot...and paid the same price.

We were a party of nine on this trip. We stayed in two separate rooms (Me and 3 others in one room), and five others in a second room. Stayed for 3 Days, 2 Nights. The complimentary breakfast was nice, all good there. Good selection of pastries, meats, eggs, and juice. The front desk didn't help, one person at the desk didn't know what she was doing, and checking out took fifteen minutes (no time waiting in line). The beds were comfortable, I slept good in them. The breakfast and the actual rooms function-wise were good. The rooms did look like they needed a refresh. They had two pools and a hot tub. The regular pool and hot tub had “Salt Water” which was non-chlorinated. But, the kids pool strongly smelled like chlorine, which where we think the odor was coming from (you could smell it outside the pool area). The pool and hot tub were good, but the kids pool had that chlorine smell. The shuttle bus is a joke. When we were there they had ONE shuttle bus (they had 3-4 shuttle buses available- but only using one), running to both the MOA and the airport. When we were ready to leave MOA, we called for the shuttle at 8 pm. Half an hour later the shuttle still wasn't @ MOA, and the other five people of our party finished shopping and shocked to see us still standing there. Another 20-25 minutes later, the shuttle bus finally comes, and we get back to the hotel around 9:05 pm. Overall, the pros and cons balance out to about average.

This hotel was a perfect location for making trips back and forth to the mall. The shuttle service and the fact that we didn't have to drive and park over the course of three days would make us stay here again! We never had to wait more than 15 minutes to leave the hotel or to get a return trip back to the hotel. The restaurant on site was very good and fairly priced. It was a nice alternative when we didn't want to go out. Breakfast was OK, but was absolutely packed both days. We were probably there during prime spring break time, but a little better organization of the spread would help tremendously. The pool area was nice and all we needed with a 9 and 4 year old. Our room was very clean and we look forward to staying here again next time!

This hotel is very clean! The poolside and poolview rooms are a nice extra perk of this hotel. The shuttle on demand was very quick and the drivers were nice. We stayed for a spring break staycation and really enjoyed it!

This hotel was excellent for our family to spend a few nights away. The smaller pool was perfect for our 1 year old and an additional deeper pool was great for our 6 and 8 year old. The pools and hot tub kept everyone happy. I additionally liked the option of having a pool side room. We hope to go back with a group of people to take advantage of that.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. Had a pool side room nice as usual. Breakfast was better in the past had more options. Parking area was horrible not plowed they don't have an area for park and flyers so they take all the up front parking and lot was full of snow.

Family gets together every year around this time. Three brothers a sister and extended family. Pool is great for the small kids. Very crowded. Garbage could be picked up a few more times. Wanted five rooms next to each other. Couldn't or wouldn't.

Excellent location for the mall, airport and zoo access. We had the shuttle to-from mall and airport any time we needed. Uber to the zoo was also fun. The Big Adventure ticket is also something that I highly recommend.

We stayed before we flew to Florida were able to leave our vehicle and shuttled to the airport. Great rooms poolside smaller pool for younger regular for older and hot tub. Nice sitting area around the pool with games. Will stay again.

Pros: water park is nice for younger kids. It is small and easy to keep an eye on kids in the pool. Full continental breakfast Walking distance to Mall of America and transit station Cons: Cleanliness - our first day at the pool there were NO clean towels...not only that but dirty towels littered the entire area. I would expect this, except at the time there were MAYBE 10 people in the entire pool area, so it isn't like there should have been a hard time keeping up. At breakfast - there were no clean tables, and even worse, the floor was horrible...I'm talking entire sausage patties just sitting on the floor from the time we got there until the time we left. Parking - there is hardly a place to park because of all the long term parking for the park, sleep, and fly guests. We parked just wherever we could find a spot - which was no where near our room. Price - I expect to pay more, but it seemed a little high for what they have in terms of the water park. I've stayed at full indoor water parks before, complete with lifeguards and many different slides, and the prices were comparable to this one - which had one toddler slide and no lifeguards. Check out - we called to get a later checkout so the kids could swim a little longer and were informed that we could not get a checkout any later than the 11 time. This was fine, but what wasn't OK was them coming at 10:40 to make up our room when we still had 20 minutes left until checkout. Overall, it was a nice stay. But for the price, I would expect a little better.

I wasn't planning to stay at a hotel for a business workshop I was taking nearby. However, with the snowpacalypse among us, I stayed here for two nights to avoid bad roads. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. They offer a better than average free breakfast in the morning, which kind of sold it for me. The rates are pretty standard for an above average hotel stay. If you are planning to stay with family for a Mall or America outing, they have an incredible indoor pool area for kids and adults. They offer a shuttle to and from the mall as well which is pretty ideal for bad weather conditions. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the TJ's restaurant service is subpar. One night it was exceptional and the other night the server forgot my order and really just anything I asked for all together. It felt like the place may have been understaffed, but otherwise the experience was good!

Stayed to shop at Mall of America. Shuttle service to mall was great and very convenient. Enjoyed having a place to eat and have a cocktail attached to the hotel. Breakfast is awesome, very good variety of food offered. Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Enjoyed our stay. Only complaint was the snow between vehicles in parking lot, difficult to walk and get in and out of vehicle.

We stay at the Best Western across the street from the MOA every year for our son's birthday. He loves the pool and overall atmosphere of the hotel. The overall service from the front desk was ok, but not as friendly was they usually are. We will stay again because of these ease and proximity to the mall.

We've stayed at this hotel many times. This time we stayed the night before our flight from MSP, and the night we returned. We relaxed with a drink by the pool, while our granddaughter swam. We took the 4:30 am shuttle to the airport. Since we were traveling from winter to tropical, we really appreciated getting into a nice warm van, so we didn't need winter coats, etc. Upon our return, we called and were told that the shuttle was at the terminal, so no wait! Which was great after a long flight. When we got back to the hotel, it was a 5 minute check in. Then to the restaurant for a quick dinner. Breakfast was great, nice variety. We haven't stayed here since they moved the breakfast to the restaurant. Good move! Overall, a great experience as always.

The hotel is conveniently located by the Mall of America. The shuttle service was a very convenient option to have and very nice. The pool area was set up nice to offer all kids an option to swim. The breakfast had a lot of different options.

Great hotel for a winter weekend getaway with my granddaughters! We loved the indoor pool area and our poolside room was perfect for us. Our trip was originally planned to take advantage of all there is to do at the very nearby Mall of America but our time at the Best Western Plus turned out to be the highlight of our weekend!

Staff is awesome, pool is great, rooms are clean, beds are comfy! If you're looking for a family friendly hotel, this is for you. My daughter loves the kiddie pool, and mom and dad love the pool/hot tub. The pool view room is the best, if you have kids, get it. It's worth it.

Everything was beautiful. Food was great, staff were great, the room was beautiful, bed was very comfy , the poollll was awesome!!! Right across the street for the mall. The restaurant was great, I will be coming back there!!!!

I really like this property for an overnight stay before flying out of MSP in the morning.It has a great bar and restaurant on site, that was just remodeled. Nice decor, and good food.The shuttles are great to get to the airport 24/7. Give them the time you need to be there, they put you on the reservation list, and shuttles leave every 30 minutes.Very convenient, with a friendly staff.

We reserved a poolside room, we were pleased to be able to check in early. The room was clean and cozy and the bed was comfortable. The pool area was nice and the kids had fun, however it was dirty and in need of vacuuming, the tables were sticky and dirty and the garbage's were full. We contacted the front desk and asked if the area could be tended to but no one came. They did eventually empty the garbage's. There were several families having parties of some type so it got pretty messy. The air was heavy and humid and the pool chemical smell was terrible and burned the eyes.

This property is reminiscent of earlier motels with the pool area in the center of the property (open air). I will definitely be getting a pool-side room on our next visit. Room was clean. Beds & pillows were comfortable. I prefer a little softer bed and this one suited me just right. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding; one of the best. Traditional breakfast items, but plentiful (nothing ever ran low) and presented in a very non-crowded layout with spacious seating. And clean! Pool hours run later than most. We loved this!

My wife's sister was visiting from California and she wanted to go to The Mall Of America. This hotel was very close to it and was a great value. The room was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Second time to stay for a football game. Clean room, great pool. Great service. Right wing cross mall. Good food. Courtesy shuttle made everything easy and convient. Would definitely stay again. Go Vikings!

They would get one more star if they understood what the term "shuttle" really means. It seems they go TO the airport every half hour, but will not take you FROM the airport unless you have spoken to them. Which is why I spent AN HOUR at the airport, while the shuttles of hotels that DO understand the concept came and went. (My foreign phone didn't work in the US) My room looked out on the car park, but some look out on the indoor pool in the centre of the hotel. I guess that can be noisy. Breakfast was pretty standard, no gluten free options, not sure about non dairy milk either. They kindly kept my luggage between check out and my journey to the airport. Good location for the Mall, and for a quick getaway to Eagan, too.

There is false advertising about the sauna. It is listed as having one, but there isn't one. The beds were very comfortable and the pool area was nice and large. It is close to the Mall of America and we were able to order in food to our room from lots of different restaurants.

The chlorine smell was a little much. Our eyes hurt when we got back to my room. The rooms were full and a lot of kids. Otherwise nice. Hardly heard the airplanes taking off. We felt the rooms needed to be updated some.

We stayed at the best western Bloomington for 8days while visiting family during Christmas vacation. The welcoming staff were very attentive and professional. Our room was quite spacious and even though we were close to the pool it was still relatively quiet with children splashing and enjoying the fun in the many pools available. Our room was cleaned every day and all needs met. The hotel offers a great breakfast and the dining staff just the best. Also enjoyed a pizza from the restaurant and it was yummy. Bar staff terrific as was the servers. All in all a great Minnesota visit. We will be back

The location of this hotel couldn't be better; it is a very easy walk to the Mall of America. The pool area is impressive and great for children: there is a shallow play area with water features for kids, another pool for swimming, a large hot tub, and ample seating. The complimentary breakfast in the restaurant was satisfactory and they also offer great food and beverage deals during the day. The room was mostly clean (we did find clothing left behind from a previous guest) and comfortable, and it's always nice to have the mini fridge and microwave. We were concerned about noise since our room was facing the highway 77, but this was not an issue. We will definitely be back!

We stopped here to break up a trip and also to take a 3 year old to the Paw Patrol play area at the MOA. The children's waterpark is great. The noise from the hallway was louder than I would have expected and having the pool open until 11:00 was making sleep more difficult. Breakfast was included and very diverse,plentiful, and tasty. The door to the closet was off the track and the beds were soft, but the room was larger with a large bathroom.

This was our 2nd stay at this property. Our primary purpose was Christmas shopping so we didn't have a chance to enjoy the great pool area this time, but we'll be back again to do that. This hotel has a fantastic breakfast, with lots of options for all. And the close proximity to MOA is perfect for a girls' trip.

Want quiet don t stay on poolside or poolview. The rooms are clean and comfort able. Good access to MOA. Hot tub and shallow pool for 2 to 5 year olds. Closr to good food options such as Chevy s , TGIF and IHOP. Never ate at the in house restaurant. Close to airport as well.

Wonderful hotel to bring kids to. Close to Mall of America...great kiddie pool area! Rooms are clean, beds comfy. Breakfast was very good. On site restaurant is a plus. Shuttle service was excellent...staff were very friendly. Did park and fly with granddaughter...shuttle driver drove us right to our car and even loaded our luggage into the car for us. Will be back!!

It took me forever to find a hotel to stay in to fly out for our thanksgiving trip, we stayed here and were pleasantly surprised. Very nice, clean, GREAT POOL area. We didn't use it but it was huge and had plenty for kids to do. Shuttle service was excellent!

Convenient location, right across the street from Mall of America and a 10 minute drive to MSP. Clean and comfortable with ample parking and free wifi. Hot breakfast was included for us. Nice selection of eggs, meat, coffee, tea, juice, breads, cereals and pancakes. Our 1st floor room faced the parking lot. It was clean and quiet. All in all, I definitely recommend this hotel.

The front desk was extremely friendly. Room was ok, nothing spectacular, fairly clean. Beds were older and sagged, did not get a good nights sleep. The location was good as it was right across from the mall.

Got a suite room, on the pool side. I would've wanted to move into this room except the pool doesn't close until 11pm so there's that noise if you want to relax or sleep. I loved having a fake fireplace and the room was spacious. Balcony over looks the enclosed pool area. Everything was clean and comfortable. The regular breakfast area was reserved for a group, which was fine with me because breakfast was served buffett style in JT's Restaurant...it was more cozy and relaxed then a boring sitting area. Great selection of food, left stuffed! I would come back here, maybe request non pool side room.

This hotel was ok. It was clean, but needed new bed linens and it was almost impossible to rinse my hair with their shower heads. The best features were the pool view rooms with balconies and the pool itself.

We opted for the package room that included tickets to Nickelodeon Universe and MOA coupon book. There was confusion at check-in and we didn't get the wristbands or coupon book. The evening front desk staff had no idea what we were talking about but the morning front desk staff were very helpful and quickly corrected the issue. Both of the pools were on the colder side, but still an enjoyable experience. My kids loved the kids pool!

Beautiful, clean hotel. Everything is very nice. I really liked the "poolside" room we had. If you plan to take kids,i suggest doing that,so much easier. Pool was too cold for most adults,but kids enjoyed it.

This hotel is very large and very nice. There is a giant indoor pool area in the center of the hotel in a “courtyard”. The pool area doesn't close until 11pm so if it is quiet you seek ask for a room on the outside of the perimeter. People are not considerate, even at that late hour, yelling, screaming right up to 11pm. The reason it is so loud is that it is indoors and the rooms around the pool area have sliding glass doors and balconies. The room with the fireplace is huge and well kept. Everything is really clean. It can be a long walk to the front desk. Complimentary breakfast was in the attached restaurant, big beautiful place. Food was great with a large selection. Literally 2 minutes from Mall of America. On a nice day it's a short walk. Excellent facility for families.

We needed to find some where close and with a great pool. Since I have stayed here before and were impressed with this hotel we wanted to try it out again to see. Not by surprise, they (hotel staff) were amazing. The hotel, was clean and had some great food, especially the free breakfast. The main reason we stayed here is the great pool area for my kids. The beds were so nice and soft. The only issue I had was with the strength of the chlorine in the pool, my kids only were in the pool for about 2 hrs both days and they started to get a rash from the amount of chlorine My kids don't normally have issues, as we stay at several hotels a year so they get plenty of exposure to chlorine. In fact we visited WI Dells the last 2yrs and were in the pools there for 10 -12 a day for 4 days and didn't have any issues. I hope they can get this issue rectified so the next time I stay we can enjoy the pools longer.

Room was very clean and the hotel overall was excellent. Walking distance from the Mall of America and very close to the airport. Great pool and hot tub area with a large kids pool and a large hot tub.

Everything was great. You can walk to the mall. The staff was good telling you about local events. The food at the hotel was good room service was fast. The hotel has a water place indoors for kids. The hotel is quiet.

Excellent complimentary shuttle service runs 24 hours with friendly and hassle free transportation to and from the airport, MOA and surrounding locations. Clean hotel throughout. Very well kept. Comfortable beds. Large rooms. Indoor pool area has a kids pool, adult pool, spa, lounging area with game machines. The kids pool has built in water activities and waterfalls. Really awesome! The pool area is warm and comfortable even when it's 32 degrees outside. This atrium also has balconies to surrounding guest rooms. Very nice full restaurant off the lobby that hosts complimentary breakfast, room service and happy hour. Excellent service and amenities at this place! Snack room has reasonably priced odds and ends compared to other hotels. Larger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Desk clerk Deb, shuttle driver Dwayne and all of the staff were very polite, welcoming and so helpful. Room rates were good. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will choose it again when I'm in the area!!! GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!!

OK hotel. There is a pool but we never used it. Park, sleep, fly program with a shuttle. They were good about adjusting our rate due to a booking.com error which we were very thankful for. There is breakfast, however we left to early to take advantage of.

Older hotel, but has been updated and is nice. Comfortable beds,updated white bedding. Rooms were extremely clean. Continental breakfast was below average. Coffee was very average. This is a great place to stay to visit Mall of America. They provide shuttle but we walked because it wasn't very far at all to the mall. There is a huge indoor pool perfect for families with children. I would rate it a 4 1/2. Not a 5 because of breakfast and coffee, but there are many options for food at Mall of America and a Waffle House next door. We would stay there again.

Nice hotel with an outstanding pool area for the grandkids. We enjoyed walking over to the mall of America also. The restaurant in the hotel was very good. The only draw back in our stay was the crowded breakfast area.

Stayed mid-week before flying out on vacation. Very clean room, comfortable beds, exceeded my expectations! Shuttle left on schedule, friendly driver both ways. Upon return from our trip, we waited about 8 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up. Great service! Will definitely stay there again!

I had never been in Minneapolis. However, I stayed in a Best Western Plus in New York City and loved it. So, why not Best Western in Minneapolis? It was a good choice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a huge indoor pool. It's mostly for wading and floating. (Too shallow for diving) The breakfast is outstanding with lots of choices. Check in and check out were easy. The shuttle to the airport got me there in plenty of time and the driver was fun to talk with. I'll be back next July when my son gets married.

Stayed here for two nights whilst on vacation, September 2017. If you don't want to pay top whack for the Radisson Blu, this is a great alternative for close proximity to Mall of America which is just a ten minute walk. As such it's a popular choice, and seemed to be busy throughout our stay. The pool area was large and looked like a lot of fun for kids, so a really good family choice. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and despite having a view of busy Cedar Ave was well enough soundproofed that the traffic noise did not disturb. Sadly the same could not be said of internal noise. Doors connecting hotel rooms are great for families/groups wanting to stay together but for the rest of us are just an annoying means of ensuring that you can hear next door's conversations or TV more clearly! WiFi quality was fine when I could access it. Password supplied clearly written on the room key did not work when entered on any of my devices, but when I asked the receptionist to input it all was fine. Biggest problem here was breakfast. We didn't expect or want much, but quality somewhat lacking on the cooked food and worst of all, the breakfast area isn't large enough to accommodate the number of guests using it. Not being early risers, the only tactic that worked for us both mornings was to arrive at 09:55, early enough to grab a few bits before breakfast is cleared away at 10AM and late enough that there were tables vacant. Not ideal.

The staff was very helpful with ideas on what to do and how to get there. The shuttle drivers were very informative, polite and prompt which was very helpful since we were only there for two nights. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it was clean and the kids pool looked like a blast. We had a pool side room and I couldn't believe how quite it was! Excellent stay at this best western

So close to MOA and other places for entertainment; Pool area is exceptional for our large family; Rooms are comfortable; Staff is congenial and helpful; rates are competitive; breakfast area is small and could be bigger, but is adequate.

This hotel was amazing for the price and location. It was great for our family getaway as the pool was great for kids of all ages. The hotel was very well kept and clean, and the staff was very nice to deal with. The shuttle was nice to have over to the mall of america, even though it was about a 2 minute drive away. Great location to all shopping and resturants. I would highly recommend this to families looking for an excellent hotel to stay in.

As usual, we had a great stay at this hotel. The pool is great for kids of all ages, the location cannot be beat for going to the mall. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is above average.

The entire stay was wonderful, rooms were clean, the beds were in great shape, they have two pools inside the hotel, one geared toward kids and the other for swimming. The staff was cordial and professional the restaurant connected to the hotel had good food at a reasonable price!

This hotel has just been upgraded and is great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The place is extremely clean. The breakfast was very good. The safe is very friendly and helpful. The parking list is big and the hotel has shuttles to Mall if America.

Not sure what the Plus stands for, but it's a very nice hotel. We were able to check in an hour earlier than the allotted time which was nice. The front desk was professional and efficient. We got our keys and went to our room on the top floor. Our room was spacious, with a pull out and two queen beds to sleep 6 people. The room itself was very clean and fairly spacious for all of us. Our view was of a parking lot, but we were not there for the view. :) The beds were clean with ample bedding and comfy mattress and pillows. I loved the shampoo and soap that was offered. It smelled better than what I brought, lol. The breakfast was very good. The food was either hot or cold and ample. None of us had complaints with the food. There seemed to be enough seating for people and the area was cleaned up quickly with a housekeeper that seemed to hover to keep it that way. Check out is later, I think noon, as I write. The best part of this hotel is the cost and location to the MOA, The hotel is approx. .2 miles from the MOA and a lot cheaper than the hotels that are across the street. You can either walk or drive to the MOA. The pool as seen in the pictures is awesome. It's great for little kids. There is also a small arcarde in the same area. I did not swim, but my husband and kids said the pool was warm. For all the bodies that go in and out of the pool, and hot tub the water looked pretty clear. No gross things floating around. :) The hotel, was quiet at all times during the night. The carpet in the halls appears padded. I'm sure that helps with any noise from people walking. I'd definitely stay here again.

We spent a night here when traveling through Minneapolis. Things started out a little rocky when our room wasn't ready on time after a long travel day. The room itself was clean and neat. The pool area here was great for the kids, and they had a lot of fun. There was a wedding in the hotel the night we stayed, and unfortunately we ended up beside a room which had a party in it. They were loud, and spilled out into the hallway several times. Staff were doing what they could to shut them down, but it ended up going until around 1am which was a little late for my liking. I'm not sure if they kicked them out or had to call the police to deal with them. I brought everything up to management the following day, and they made it right by refunding our room and apologizing for everything. At the end, I was satisfied and will likely stay here again. The location is great, and they will shuttle guests to the mall and back which is nice. I would have given a higher rating if it wasn't for the late check in and loud party.

Stayed here while in town on a family trip. Very good location across the street from the Mall of America. Shuttle service took us to the mall as well as to train station for trip downtown to watch a Twins game. Excellent pool area, especially for families. Breakfast area was a little small based on the number of people in it each day, but lots of food and good quality. Rooms are average, nothing wrong with them but I wouldn't consider them high end. Ventilation is a concern, the room didn't have a bathroom fan so drying wet swimming gear was tough. A little pricey, but we will consider this hotel again if we are in Minneapolis.

Place was clean. Staff was friendly. We had a pool side room the first night and it was very pleasant. Quit after 10pm. Breakfast was very good and the staff kept the breakfast area clean and kept up with the busy crowd. Great job!

We stayed here for a week after recommendations from family and on here on TripAdvisor. The main selling point to me was the splash pool which only goes to 2 feet deep - perfect for families like ours with young kids that can't swim yet. My oldest daughter even wanted to do the splash pool most days instead of the regular big pool. I think she went on the small slide over 100 times this trip. It was being able to let my youngest play and splash around without having to keep her in a raft the whole time. The only criticism of the pool area is that they should have a worker coming around periodically to supervise as some kids get wild and parents are not watching. A random employee presence once an hour or so might make a difference. As for other aspects of the hotel - - We did the pool balcony room which was nice to see the activity in the pool and judge when are the best times to go. It does get noisy at night but my kids are usually exhausted on vaca and sleep through it all. Next time I might try for the pool lower level to avoid the elevators / stairs and having to go all around the hotel to get to where we needed to go. - The room was clean and the beds weren't horrible but they weren't that great either. Good enough for the price I guess. We brought in the table and chairs from the balcony to make a spot for our kids to snack and eat meals a few times. - Service was a little slow, we didn't get our room cleaned multiple days even when we were gone past 2 or 3. One day we were gone all day and the only thing done was one garbage was emptied but nothing else. There were about 2 days where it got full service while we were out. - The shuttle to the mall is nice, the drivers were friendly, although there is sometimes a wait for that. You need to plan ahead and leave early if you are trying to get to dinner because you don't know when the shuttle last left and when it will return. We saw some people take the shuttle to other places as well but we only used it for the mall. Good to have some small bills on hand for tipping the driver. - Breakfast was ok, but got repetitive since we stayed for a full week. Scrambled eggs, some kind of meat, and some kind of waffle/pancakes/french toast each day. They also had a yogurt dispenser and the standard DIY bagels / toast / etc. The one major thing missing was fresh fruit. They had bananas and apples and oranges but that was it. Apples and Oranges get tough to cut up for my kids so it was basically bananas every day and that got old. I was dying for a scoop of fresh fruit by the end of the week. Overall I would stay here again mostly for the pool, but once my kids outgrow the splashpad area I might look elsewhere to see what other hotels offer.

My children and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We went to Mall of America for a back to school shopping trip. The hotel was very nice and the staff were very pleasant. This hotel is located right across the street from the mall. They offer shuttle service to and from the mall or there is a skyway just a short walk away. My kids loved the pool area. We would definitely stay here again.

this hotel is simply too expensive. stay further away unless all your goal is to freely roam back and forth to the mall. i was on business overnight. next trip will be to another hotel. shuttle is okay but with a 4 minute ride from the airport, was it worth it to wait 20 minutes to get on the shuttle and then ride around to the other terminal for other guests adding another 20 minutes to the ride.

The employees were definitely well trained, very polite. Good location directly across from the mall, we walked to and from the mall and it seemed like a pretty safe area, even at night. Beds were of good quality. The only downsides were that the pool was overcrowded beginning in the morning with a lot of children eating breakfast at the pool and the children were still overcrowding the pool being quite loud until 11pm, probably wouldn't be an issue for those farther from the pool. Breakfast itself wasn't appealing (even as far as hotel breakfast goes, a lot of overcrowding and lukewarm food). Still a very nice place to stay with good quality staff and accommodations. Would choose it again if I choose to vacation in the area in the future.

Walk to mall of America. Excellent indoor pool park for children. Free breakfast. Free parking. Small cubby to buy pop, medicine or ice cream bars. Restaurant had nice food but bartender over charged me on drinks deliberately once. The coffee they serve is not good. I had to leave for Starbucks. Which is important detail as coffee drinkers know, a good cup of coffee is important to start your day. Pool needs to switch to salt water. So much chlorine, eyes hurt. Babies uncomfortable & red faced from lack of appropriate air quality. So humid and couldn't cool room. Vending machines for ice broke. Told maintenance & never fixed in 3 day stay. Back door key pad broke so anyone could enter. Told maintenance &never fixed in 3 day stay. Concept of hotel great but needs improvements. If I were manger these small things fixed could make a huge difference on the quality of my guests stay. I want to like this hotel but will find other accommodations for next visit.

I've stayed at this property numerous times for both work trips and with my family on vacation. The property and staff never disappoint! For family trips the provided breakfast is super convenient and the pool area is awesome.

Love all their services, the location and shuttle are a plus from this hotel. Water park/swimming pool is great. Breakfast is top of the line and the switched some of the foods and that was a good call for the guests that stay more than one night.

Stayed here for 3 Days. The hotel was clean and the service was very good. Walking distance to skywalk which takes you into the mall of America. Plenty of places to dine in the area and it even has free hot breakfast. I would recommend this for anyone that needs a cost effective place to stay close to mall or airport.

Bed was comfy. Bathroom clean. Staff are nice, easy to talk to, and very helpful. Poolside room have balcony to view the pool. Once you close the screen door you can't hear anything even when the pool is pack with kids & adults. You could walk to the mall if you want. Hotel offers shuttle there so we took it. Highly recommended esp if you have little kids. The pool features are great hits with kids!

Yes we wanted to se the mall of America. The hotel has free shuttles to and from the airport and to and from the Mall, which is very close anyway. The rooms were way larger than the typical mote The restaurant right next door had good food at good prices.l. The free breakfast was good but the dining room seemed too small for a fully occupied hotel, kinda crowded.

My family truly enjoyed our stay. The pool area was a blast with our young kids (and I enjoyed being in it with them!). Breakfast had some unique items, like a french toast bar and yogurt sundae options. Hotel is just across the street from Mall of America, so it's very convenient.

The hotel is within walking distance to Mall of America, but the sheets on the bed had piles on them. It felt like sand paper. That means cheap sheets. The reward policies are atrocious. Since when is paper required to cash in the travel reward card. Get up to date. The hot breakfast was okay. I did like the mini bagels and the small banana nut muffins for those of us who cannot eat a lot of carbs. The room was nicely remodelled. Some of the electrical plugs did not work on the lamps. I will look for carefully next time.

This hotel is within walking distance to MOA, however, we had to zig zag a bit to get to skywalk the went through another hotel. Friendly staff and clean. The pool area was very large with stuff for kids of all ages. I felt it was a bit pricey, but would stay again.

We actually had reservations at another hotel a little further away but realized there was a lot of construction going on at the hotel so we looked for a new one last minute and found this one. It was a little bit more pricey than our other hotel but so worth it! The location cannot be beat. Short of staying at one of the hotels attached to the mall, you can't get closer than this. It took us probably 10 min or less. You just have to walk down a sidewalk over the bridge, cut through the parking area at the Radisson Blu that's attached to the mall and you are there! You can also take a shuttle over to the Mall. They drop you off at the main entrance though which was fine because we wanted to get pictures of the big sign anyway. Not sure if there is a shuttle back late in the day. We got a poolside room and the room was very spacious and clean. There was a nice balcony to look down on the pool area which the kids really enjoyed. The pool and hot tub especially seemed that it was busy almost all the time. But it's a pretty big area so didn't seem too terrible. I was also worried about the noise from the pool while trying to sleep but the sliding doors are very sound proof which was great! The pool closes at 11. The breakfast was also good with plenty of seating. We will definitely stay here again when back in the area!

We stayed at Best Western for 2 nights of a road trip. I was really happy to have MoA in safe walking distance from us as we didn't have to drive around construction. The price was great for us. It was close enough to Minneapolis/St. Paul, but not priced too high for a long road trip. The staff was dealing with a large group when we arrived, but Evan (?) still checked to make sure our room was fine. We stayed on the first floor away from the pool. I was glad to be away from the pool, but I think some people really like being poolside. The hotel is very clean, but it is in need of some remodeling as its age shows in things like the pool deck, hall carpeting, and some of the finishes. As with many of these properties, I am happy to see a free breakfast. However, as with many hotels at this price point, I find it hard to eat healthy. The fruits are usually not appealing and there are no veggies or sugar-free things. I will say that there was some variety at the Best Western's breakfast, though. Overall, a good option in the area with a good location.

This was the perfect hotel for a 2 day stay for our short visit to the MOA with my daughter and the littles! Our room was on the first floor, poolside. It had comfy beds and a small balcony. It was perfect to have the 6 year old in the pool and the 1 year old sleeping because we could sit right outside the room at the pool. It was not loud at all in our room. The kids pool was perfect! The continental breakfast was great! We took the shuttle back and forth to MOA that was so convenient (7 Min) and also did a short walk one day too. Great choice!!

Awesome stay! DuWayne the shuttle driver was incredibly accommodating. Always helpful and very friendly. The girls at the front desk were very pleasant. The breakfast was good and a great way to start your morning. We often walked to the Mall of America as it was that close.

We stayed at this location due to the price point and location to The mall of America. The rooms are dated and dingy, carpets were all stained and the walls were all marked. The staff was friendly but unwilling to accommodate early check in or late check out. Breakfast staff was great. Pool was extremely busy as was breakfast. Dollar value was really the only upside.

Some good, some not so good. Good price for location as it is a 15-minute walk to MOA. Also, there is a fairly regular shuttle that drops you off and picks you up at the main entrance to MOA. Transportation will also pick you up and drop you off at the airport. All transportation requires up to a 20-minute wait, so be patient if you want to utilize the shuttle. Pool was OK, expect kids in the jacuzzi. Resturants: JTs (attached) was good to very good 4 out of 5 meals. Fridays and IHOP are a 5-10 minute walk. Room's fridge was a bigger than average. Beds were OK. TV service was basic. Sofabed was nasty (moldy) on the inside so we just used the couch and kept it closed for our teen to sleep on. Front desk, housekeeping, and room service was subpar and, at times, unattentive. I also found my room noisy over the 4 night stay. Bottomline, good price for location but a very average stay.

Best Westerns aren't typically thought of as destination hotels but the shoe fits in this case. With an indoor splash park for kids and a location where you can hit the Mall of America and a Twin Cities Metro stop with a rock, you could stay here for several days before exhausting all the possibilities. We opted for an extended room, which is sufficiently larger than a standard room without suffering the cost of a suite and comfortably served our party of two adults and three younger kids. The splash pad was a huge hit with the kids, and unlike other hotels we've visited with similar facilities, the floor didn't seem like a slipping hazard (I've seen a guy get a concussion at one property with slick pool floors). There's also a game arcade, as well as a larger pool and hot tub for the grownups. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the Mall of America and the two closest Metro stops--we utilized this twice and both vehicles were clean, spacious, and punctual. All employees were friendly and helpful--one front desk clerk went on a scavenger hunt to find some plastic utensils when a local restaurant failed to put some in my bag. With hundreds of rooms but only two floors, the property has a huge footprint but is well-designed. All rooms are oriented to be within a stone's throw of the pool area and there are six entrances with plenty of parking around each one. That being said, if you're in the back of the property near the freeway it is a long jaunt to the front desk and breakfast area.... ....though given the experience we had at breakfast on both mornings, you may want to avoid it anyway. It's the one thing keeping this property from a five-star review. While there is an ample selection of food and drink, there isn't enough food or seating volume to serve the size of the property. While food running out was a minor annoyance, the size and layout of the seating area is truly terrible, especially if you have a large group or younger kids. Fully 75-80% of the seating is taken up by high-top bars and tables and there is a constant scrum for the "good" tables--I witnessed several single diners or pairs taking up spaces meant for 4 to 6. If this area was re-arranged or expanded to meet the needs of the property, I can safely say it would be a five-star experience.

Just a short maybe 5 min walk across a skywalk over a busy highway and you are in the Mall. Great little restaurant in the motel, with the option of eating and ordering drinks at the pool. Nice hot tub and large pool area. Young kids will love the splash pool area. We found the value of the room and location perfect for our family get away. We also used the stay, park and fly option, with a great shuttle to the airport maybe 15 min away and once we landed I called and they picked us up.

I found this best western to be average. The place is pretty noisy and surrounded by pavement and good luck finding any food after 10 p.m. But the staff was very helpful and pleasant, room was clean, and it is located within walking distance to the MOA. They could use a courtyard to some place to be outside but most people are probably interested in the pool area. No outside pool, but a large pool recreation area built for pre-teen age children. The pool area rooms are noisy from the activity and the other rooms are noisy because of the parking lots and road traffic. I was there on business and the room had good wi-fi and work space. They also served a decent breakfast, however the attached restaurant is so slow you could walk to the mall and navigate your way to the 3rd floor food court just as quickly as getting served there.

Five of us stayed here on an overnight trip to the Mall of America. We were fairly satisfied with this hotel, but the service was mostly poor overall, and that slightly detracted from my overall experience. I will describe in more detail below. Location: Excellent. This property has one of the best locations out there. It's only a couple of blocks from the Mall of America, and is only a few miles from MSP airport. There is also a shuttle service to/from the airport and Mall of America available. Service: Mediocre. We checked in to the hotel around 3:45 pm. The front desk agent was extremely slow and not the friendliest. She also took a phone call directly in front of us instead of placing them on hold. The biggest negative for us was that the shuttle did not return to pick us up at the Mall after calling ahead. We called and were told ten minutes, but after calling again 30 minutes later, they told us it would now be 20 minutes. Ended up taking a cab on the way back. On a positive note, shuttle driver there was very friendly. Rooms: We rented two rooms here. Both rooms were very nice. They had a fridge, microwave, and a Keurig. The beds were extremely comfortable and we really liked the pillows. Also, we had both rooms with sofa beds, and they were larger than average. Overall—good! Other: * Free breakfast was okay. It wasn't as good as other Best Westerns, but I've had worse. * The hotel is extremely large with a MASSIVE pool area, so prepare for VERY long walks to your room. * Guest laundry is only $1.75/load ($1 wash, 75¢ dry) Overall, the hotel wasn't too bad. I debated between 3 and 4 stars for this place (3.5 stars sounds right, but rounded down to 3). Would I reserve it again? Yes, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The bloomington best western is by far the best hotel i have ever stayed in. To begin with tjey offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. The desk staff are patient and helpful and accommodating. The rooms ate spotless. Not a speck of dust. Housekeeping does a magnificient job. The most comfortable beds i have ever slept in. Their are 2 pools in the center of the hotel. 1 kiddie and 1 adult. Lovely hot tub. If u have kifs stay poolside so your balcony oberlooks the pool. If mot sdk for a room away from the pool so it eill ne quiet. The dining room staff work their fingers to the bone. Refilling food and drink non stop. And the food is a full free breakfast and it is delicious. Fresh hot eggs and psncakes or waffles and bfast meats and breads and pastry. A yogurt machine with all the toppings. Mice quality food. Tje shuttle drivers take u back and forth to the mall all day and it is wslkable as well. Wr wrte therr during a blizzard and the shuttle made sute all their guests made it back safely to the hotel!! Highly recommend. Cannot say enough good things about tjis hotel!

It is strategically close to Minneapolis-St Paul airport just off 494 adjacent to Mall of America. It is a large hotel with a large pool and water-play area in the middle. The rooms are large and relatively quiet unless kids are running to or from the pool in your hall. The breakfast is complimentary, but the room is small compared to the expected number of users. There is an adjacent restaurant with primarily fast food, pizza, and salads. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle to the airport.

Great hotel, only 10 minute drive from MSP right opposite the Mall of America. Great pool and breakfast, just what we needed after a long flight before heading out in the wilderness of Minnesota. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked this hotel because it had a nice little water park for our preschooler and toddler. They loved it, and we spent hours splashing away. The room was standard. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. They had the standard hotel breakfast foods but lower quality. I was also disappointed in the amount of waste (plastic cutlery, styrofoam plates, etc) from the hotel breakfast.

We spent 33 days on the road and drove over 7,800 miles. This was the best room of the trip. We were upgraded, so we had two large rooms. Of course the upgrade earned this Best Western 5 stars. Everything for us was perfect.

A little disappointed in the room. Bathroom was very cramped, no counter space. Bed was terrible, definitely not the Best Western quality we're accustomed to. And the room was not vacuumed for four days.

Our team got a good rate, so we stayed here for one night. It is fairly nice, across the street from the MOA. the rooms were very good and the restaurant was good but very slow, but it was late 10:00pm when I placed an order to go. The best part was the breakfast, it was amazing and all my kids loved it. they had a very good selection.

We stayed close to airport and used Sleep and Fly there. Good room, good breakfast. The shuttle was excellent-plenty of room, courteous and on time. Right across from Mall of America—walkable. Would stay again.

The hotel is walking distance from mall of America with free shuttle bus from air port and to the mall. Fast check in, friendly staff with complimentary descent breakfast. The room is clean and comfortable accommodating up to 4 persons, good WIFI. Daily house keeping and the breakfast was reasonable.

We had a really great experience at this hotel. The pool area is large, fun, and clean. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It is in a great location across the street from Mall of America and is pretty centrally located from any of the main attractions in the MSP area. The breakfast was mariginal...standard hotel comp. breakfast but the pizza from the restaurant was really good.

Located literally across the street from MOA and we had such a good time staying at the property. Room was clean and everyone was so so so helpful!. We had a little difficulty finding our room but got help as soon as we needed it. Breakfast was beautifully done and in a clean space. Pool are was gorgeous and very relaxing soaking in the hot tub. Everything was superb!

The check-in experience was not good. We were never greeted or told that it would be just a few minutes. This is a staffing and training issue. The first impression was not good. The clerks were obviously having a bad day. Some hospitality training would be in order. We do not ask for anything special, just to be treated with respect and courtesy. Rooms were fine and restaurant was very good. We had to call 3 times to get shuttle from airport, as desk clerk kept hanging up on us.

I've yet to be disappointed in this hotel. This time, my 5th, there were 6 of us (4 kids) in one bed. All slept soundly! Decent breakfast , good pool and hot tub, nearby restaurants and the MOA within walking distance makes this a perfect family stay .

This hotel has so much to offer, yet has a long way to go. The accommodations are great location, rooms are nice size and comfortable. The shuttle to the Mall of America is also a nice perk. The breakfast is okay, nothing to rave about. The pool area is fantastic especially if you have small kids. It would be the absolute perfect place except my experience turned really sour. During our stay as the kids were playing closely supervised in the pool area, other children much older than what would be legitimate to play in a 2 foot kiddie pool area were also playing there. It was when one of the older kids decided it was okay to kick and push a 3 year old on the slide that really got to me. I corrected them quickly stating that was not appropriate. I went above that and went to the front desk asking if they could send someone to walk around the pool area and maybe intervene as it was busy and several kids were virtually unattended. I thought perhaps that this presence of someone from the hotel in the area may help. I was very quickly shot down and told that it is a "swim at your own risk". I certainly understand that, but it was just a request to take a proactive approach to try and curtail a situation that was getting out of hand. I took my kids back to the area and continued to watch them play in between watching older kids run up the slide, push little ones to the slide to run down it and horseplay. The night was ruined after I had complained and my 3 year old was standing at the top of the slide getting ready to sit down and go down, one of the older kids came running up the slide pushed him down and caused him to hit his head. Fortunately it was a few tears and a decision to go back to our room and catch a movie rather than enjoying what we had paid for ---the reason we had chosen that hotel was the indoor area. It is a shame that the lady at the front desk when i initially complained couldn't have sent someone out to just make the rounds, be a presence. That probably would have helped alot as parents might have perked up and gotten out of the hot tub to pay closer attention or come out of their rooms to check on their kids more often. Its sad that our stay was ruined by what could have been corrected by a quick 5 minute walk through and a stop to pay attention to the patrons of the area for a minute or 2. Instead we went home being unable to enjoy the great area we paid for, but we did get to take home a goose egg on the forehead for the push we received. I understand it is swim at your own risk, but really a simple solution could have solved the problem and I was met with what I perceived at the time as kind of a snooty, I'm too busy for you lady comment. In the days after my stay I have now become angry that as a paying patron of the hotel I was unable to utilize what I had paid for, and my response from the staff was less than stellar.

Visiting swimming and shopping with granddaughters. Had a great time. Shuttle to the mall, location is prime,and friendliness of each and every staff member we encountered. The best value in the area.

A lot of things did not work, room was noisy from outside fan and constant dripping. Do not like the fact that you have no rooms for smoking and make husband go outside to have a cigarette. Some accommodations should be made for smokers and handicapped persons Food was great.

A short walk to the Mall of America or hotel shuttles are available as well. Large property with parking on site, comfy room, and good food available in their restaurant. A little banged up from high traffic and may needs some upkeep on small issues such as marks on the hallway walls etc. For us it was quiet and we were there on a busy weekend.

When we showed up to check we were told that our reservations were for the pervious night and that there were no other rooms available. I was told by the front desk that they were sorry and was given a phone number to call and sent on our way. We have stayed here many times and always very satisfied and felt they could have provided a little more assistance than just a phone number on a post it note.

My mom and I stayed here for our Mall of America trip! Location of hotel is perfect! Free shuttle service to and from airport which is less than 10 minutes away! (But far enough that you don't hear the planes) and free shuttle service to and from the mall 24 hours a day (just make a quick call to front desk and next thing you know they are there ready to pick you up) unbelievable great fast shuttle service! You do have the option to walk there. Restaurant on site but we did not go. The complimentary buffet breakfast was great! We had waffles,French toast, parfait bar, cereal, delicious pastries, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, and sausage! Everything was warm and the staff kept up with refilling everything (6am to10am). Pool area was very clean and was awesome for families! Our room was very nice with comfy beds. We went with the deluxe king suit (with couch and fireplace) that was located far from the pool area( which can get a little loud at night). gym area worked out great for a morning work out. Definitely recommend staying here for the wonderful shuttle service, included breakfast, location, friendly staff, and nice rooms!

This was our third family reunion at this property. We all enjoy the pool, hot tub, and the grandkids love the water features. We always enjoy at least one meal from the restaurant which delivers to our poolside patio. The shuttle service is also excellent. For family fun, this hotel is wonderful!

My family and I booked at this hotel because it was within walking distance from the Mall of America, has a family friendly pool and a full breakfast included. They even offer a free shuttle around to the other side of the mall and have coin operated laundry for guest use. The room we had was pool side, but unfortunately the sliding door lock was broken. We brought it to the attention of the staff and used a stick in the meantime to keep the door secure. (It never got fixed while we were there.) The pool was amazing for our young girls and the breakfast was wonderful (but very busy on the weekend)! The room itself was very large, as well as the bathroom. Yet, it did all come at a high price. We booked through a discount website and saved a bit. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Central location, close to Mall of America and Transportation center. Access to Bus and Light Rail routes. Very quiet rooms, staff polite and friendly. Good interior illumination, plenty of parking. Pool area large and clean. Breakfast was good. Shuttle service was awesome. All ADA accessible.

We have stayed at this hotel many times (in the Pool side rooms) and always loved it. However, this last time the pool area was out of control. People booked poolside rooms for birthday parties which brought in more people then a room will hold. The pool was filled with kids and no supervision. We counted 5 different birthday parties going on at the same time.

Would highly recommend this hotel! Clean, nice staff, and great pool area for both kids and adults. In walking distance to MOA which is very convenient. They also have a 24 hour shuttle available. We will definitely be back!

Our room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfy! The pool area was perfect for our children. Every staff member we saw was friendly and the front desk person was very nice. The food at the restaurant was also very good. The location was perfect as well, close to MOA, the airport, and the MN Zoo.

Charged double, and no return call from management for over 3 weeks. Very disappointed and will never return to this location. Kids in the pool area were out of control, with footballs flying across the two pools and many kids unsupervised. 20-30 min check wait, and only one front desk person who was very overwhelmed. Loud, obnoxious and terrible service!

I grew up in Bloomington, MN and came back to visit family. I got a hotel room for part of my stay so family can come and visit and the kids can play. Let me share my pro's and cons... Pro's first: 1. Walking distance to the Mall of America 2. the pool area was nice for the kids 3. breakfast was quick and easy and had several choices. Con's: 1. beware when you check in they place a large hold on your credit card 2. Our room was NASTY...when we got into our room there was dirty wash clothes hanging in the bathroom, a cup that looked like pee or beer was in it. The coffee pods had holes in them and there are crackers, pills, toe nail clippings and other stuff on the floor. I called to the front desk and asked to be put in another room. I was told the only other room was in the far back of the hotel (totally not true, they could of placed us in a pool side room but that would have been an upgrade). Then the front desk called me back...they said if I checked in at 3:30pm why am I calling them at 7...I explained when I checked in I didn't go to my room I actually went to my parents house to visit then came back with my kids (my kids were at my parents while I checked in). So..rudely the lady named Erica at the front desk said "oh I see" and then sent someone to my room. I CLEANED THE ROOM! I stripped the beds down, pillow cases off, towels gathered. The guy came and handed me one set of sheets and took the dirty laundry. I asked for a 2nd pair for the 2nd bed...he returned with another set. Then I asked for the top sheet for each of the beds comforters....I guess they don't change these in between visitors normally! I also had to request pillow cases. 3. The pool has so much chlorine it literally burns your skin if you go into the water, if you don't your eyes will burn even not being in the water! The kids enjoyed swimming but every child that went in complained about their skin hurting and eyes burning (they did have goggles on too). Don't think there is any control over kids in the pool, no staff was ever seen and kids were out of control often with no parents around. The towels were rarely in stock and were the size of a hand towel so I'd suggest bringing your own. 4. The "TJ"s restaurant/room service. - we couldn't find a menu anywhere, I called them...they said well just go online and rambled off the website. I did place an order and when we got our food it was beyond spicy....the french dip very spicy and the BBQ burger was so spicy my son wouldn't eat it (my son is 18). 5. Bring a pillow...there are 4 mini pillows on each bed, these are worse then then $1.98 pillows from walmart...no kidding I went to walmart to purchase a pillow for $2 to get me through my few days at the hotel. 6. Walls are paper thin. When the people next to you cough you hear it, pee (yep pee) you can hear the urine hitting the water! Non-stop people talking in the halls keeps you up all night and very early in the morning. 7. Did I mention the nasty dirty room I had to clean, my nephew found crackers under the bed and blood stains (or wine I pray) on the pillows and on the floor! 8. Check in lady was also Erica and she was very rude. 9. Internet is about as fast as dial-up. I wouldn't pay $25/night to stay here. I have stayed at 2 star's that are much cleaner and staff much more friendly than this place. So disappointing!!! For $200/night the least they could do is be polite and have relatively clean rooms or fix the mistake in any way they could...I didn't think we should have had to change out everything...my mom brought me Clorox wipes to wipe down the room, I wish I had a vacuum too. The next day they came in and made our beds....no new towels, no vacuuming and no coffee replacement. Never again will I ever stay at another Best Western of any kind!

We just completed a stay here which included my wife and 2 kids ages 4 and 8. The location is nice if you are visiting the mall, it's a short walk (less than 5min) or they will also shuttle you over. The rooms were clean. The beds were too soft for my liking but you can't please everyone there I guess. My one complaint is the pool hours are 8am-11pm every day especially if you have a pool side or pool view room (we had pool view). I don't mind the 8am but when you are trying to get kids or yourselves to sleep and all you hear is the people yelling and jumping in the pool it makes it quite difficult. Both nights people were in the pool until 11 so it makes for a late night. I don't think closing the pool at even 10pm would be unreasonable especially on weeknights. If we stayed again I would probably request a room away from the pool. That being said my kids had a blast in the pool and the splash area was great for the younger kids. Breakfast was nothing special but nice if you are in a hurry or on a budget.

This is a lovely hotel with very nice & clean rooms. Our room was spacious & quiet with nice furnishings. The breakfast in the morning was very adequate, had all the necessities to get the day started. It's right across the street from Mall Of America & they have shuttles to take you there. The pool area is very large, with both a regular pool & a kiddie pool, plus hot tub. There are video games & plenty of tables down there too. Our only issue was with an employee. Jonetta checked us in & seemed distracted or annoyed that we were there. She was very short with us when asking our info & did not make eye contact once. I tried to ask questions about the shuttle & when it left. She answered the phone in the middle of answering me & went on to help the person on the phone, without finishing my answer. We just took our keys & went to the room. A while later we came back to the lobby to ride the shuttle to the Mall Of America. We had to wait about 15 minutes because the shuttle was at the airport & that was just fine. While waiting, we overheard Jonetta talking with a coworker about another employee. She was making demeaning comments & laughing. She was not talking quietly. We were not the only people in the lobby. Just thought that was very disrespectful & shouldn't happen in the lobby. All the other employees we spoke to were very friendly & helpful. The shuttle drivers were very nice & punctual. The morning crew at the front desk were great too. They were upbeat & easy to approach. Housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning our room. We didn't let our check in or other situation effect our rating. We enjoyed our stay & will be back.

I booked using priceline to get a pool side room for the same price as a normal room on best western site. Arrived and was told they are sold out. Lady at the desk was very friendly and put my family as close as possible to the pool. I called priceline and apparently there is a very small print that I still can't seem to find that poolside is only given if available. Priceline is a joke and I would not recommend using them. Hotel was great. Clean. My 4 year old and 2 year old LOVED the pool. It was a busy place and the pool most of the time had a good amount of people in it but not over packed. I thought it was fairly quite. Breakfast was good. The restaurant connected to the place is fair- Staff was friendly but food is high priced for what you get and quality is fair at best. Pizza was awful. Shuttle driver was crazy and my daughter got car sick and puked outside as she stepped out of the shuttle in the 5 mins we were in there. Otherwise shuttle was good-you call when your ready to be picked up-super fast response time. Based on the pool, quality of room and breakfast I would come again and recommend this place but to book straight on best western site that way if there is issues it can be handled with them.

Thin walls and lots of families with young children running up and down the hallway plus housekeeping starting to vacuum around 6am so lots of noise. Tired decor. No service at breakfast. Overall not a good choice.

This a great place to stay, especially with children. The pool area is fantastic!! Only problem is getting the grandkids to leave the pool. We have stayed several times and if I had to find something to complain about it is sometimes a challenge to make a reservation because they are fully booked.

This hotel met all of our qualifications. From a clean room, to the beautiful pool/water park area, to the wonderfully friendly Minnesota nice staff. We decided to have a getaway weekend, and working in a hotel myself I'm an avid review reader. This definitely exceeded my expectations! I didn't have a pool side room, however, they seem to be nice with little balconies! I would recommend.

Nice hotel close to MSP Airport and walk or take the Best Western shuttle to Mall of America. Pool area was amazing even though we didn't have time to use it. Room was fine and staff was helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We reserved a King room and 3 weeks prior to checking in I called reservations to ask if any poolside/poolview rooms were available. The man on the phone said yes and that we were in one. I confirmed with him at least three times on the phone that we had a king room overlooking the pool and he said yes each time. When we checked in we were not in a poolside/poolview room, when I informed the lady at the check in that I confirmed several weeks ago that we had a poolview room she said she saw nothing about that and there were none available to move us in to. She said we already had the lowest rate so she couldn't give us a discount and when I asked how this happened she said I probably spoke to central reservation and they don't know what they're talking about. That was upsetting because why was I transferred to central reservation in the first place if they don't know what they're talking about? She seemed to sincerely try and find a spot for us near the pool but couldn't and said she would see what kind of discount she could find for us and wrote down our name and room number. We never heard back from her and there was no type of discount reflected on our bill. We would've even been happy with free apps at the restaurant or any small gesture but the fact that she never followed up was very upsetting and disappointing. Other than that the room and hotel amenities were nicely updated and breakfast was fresh with a lot of option. Disappointed that they didn't rectify the situation better with our room, otherwise would've given 5 stars.

Great for Park and Fly. Very accommodating, picked us up right away at Terminal 2. Comfortable rooms. Great restaurant on-site. Kind of hard to navigate the hallway with the pool in the middle. Would recommend.

As a flight attendant, we don't get to choose where we stay. What a pleasant surprise to end up at this hotel. The pool area is wonderful for children, as it is set up like a mini water park. The breakfast is just right, and is a great savings, again, if you're bringing your family here. The hotel is immaculate, (I actually saw the shuttle driver outside cleaning and shining up the van during his downtime), and the staff is the epitome of top customer service The breakfast staff is especially nice. Everyone is helpful and friendly. The rooms are tastefully decorated and in perfect condition, as well as kept clean as wax. The best part is, it's within walking distance to, "Mall of America", though the hotel offers a shuttle ride if needed. I can't wait to go back, as it was the perfect layover. Great job!

We stay here every year when we go on our trip to the warm weather. It's a busy place and is always full. Sometimes it's a little noisy at night but calms down by 11:00 pm. The breakfast is adequate and the attached eatery was great.

Had to switch credit cards ahead of time, and the front desk staff was helpful with that. Arrived on a Friday night, and we were checked right in. As a Best Western Rewards Member with Gold Status I was invited to choose 4 items from the convenience stand, which was nice. I was with 2 of my friends and their three year old daughter, and when one of my friends had asked for more coffee for the Keurig (which is a nice touch by the way), he said he was met with a slight attitude from the front desk which was a little discouraging, and a little embarrassing since I had convinced them to switch to this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, very spacious as well and the property is HUGE! Pool area was nice, but I'm glad we didn't get a pool view room as they seem to be smaller than the room we had which was facing inside, away from the parkway, but still had a nice view. For anyone who complains about noise, we certainly didn't have that problem at all either. Rooms were cleaned and replenished daily, breakfast spread was very nice too! They do offer a shuttle to/from the airport as well. I had initially requested the 4:30 AM shuttle, but didn't make it, so I made the 5 AM shuttle with no issue. Would have appreciated a phone call from the front desk to ask if I was still coming though. Instead I ended up running like a madman across the hotel to the lobby asking if I missed the shuttle and was answered with a "Yes you did." Great. Thanks. At least she immediately offered to re accommodate me on the next one. I understand I was a little behind, but there was no call or anything to check on me. However, all in all, the stay was pleasant.

We have stayed in this hotel before and returned because we like the idea of pool side rooms, which you don't find much anymore. We called at 1:30, because we had 2 crabby kids at the MOA and we were wondering about an early check-in. We were told that was not possible, but that there was "guaranteed check-in by 3:00". We arrived at 2:45 to be ready. At 3:00, front desk apologized and said that housekeeping was behind and it would be 15 minutes. Long story short, this continued FOR 1 HOUR while we sat in the lobby with 2 crabby toddlers. When I asked what "guaranteed" check-in meant, they couldn't tell me. Also, I was told since we booked on orbitz, they couldn't do anything to make the situation better. We were given a coupon for a free appetizer (gee thanks), which was TERRIBLE. Additionally, the restaurant at the hotel screwed up our order and gave my husband a cold pizza after he waited 30 minutes longer than quoted. He foolishly returned to the restaurant later in the evening and waited 60 minutes for chicken wings! I don't know what Is going on over there! We do like the pool area and the location is nice, but clearly the staffing is awful. Will not return.

The beds had no normal pillows and instead just small, square lumpy pillows making it an uncomfortable sleep. This hotel is very near the airport with shuttle service which is great if you are utilizing airport. However be prepared for people noise all night and especially early morning hours who I assume were going to airport for early flights? Door banging, loud talking in hallways etc. Both nights I stayed this occurred beginning at 2:30 am so I do not recommend this hotel for a good nights sleep.

Visited here with wife and two young sons (1 & 3). The employees are great at this hotel. Front desk very pleasant on check in and check out. We got a few rides with Dwayne the shuttle driver and he was fantastic to talk to and great to our kids. We highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Our family really enjoyed this property. We stayed in room 2222, which overlooked the pool area. The room offered two double beds and a reclining chair, plus plenty of space to move around the room. The included continental breakfast had something for everyone, including hot items (eggs, sausage, pre-made waffles), or items you could prepare like oatmeal, breads for toasting, cereal, yogurt. The kids loved all the toppings available for waffles, and I appreciate that fresh fruit was included on the buffet. The pool area was generally well-kept, and the kids loved all the space between the two pools. We stayed over a weekend, so we did run into some rowdier crowds in the pool common areas, but I noticed the noise pretty much stopped when the pool closed at 11PM. I also noticed that the thicker curtains in the room helped block the pool noise when our family went to the room. There was also a complimentary shuttle to the mall, which was fantastic (I think they also had a route to the airport). The driver was great and it was a nice convenience during a chilly January. The mall is within walking distance if you prefer that, it just worked better for our crew to take the shuttle. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families, and for the proximity to the mall.

The staff at the Best Western Plus are very accommodating! The location is wonderful easy walking distance to the Mall of America! As far as the hotel itself the rooms are very average if you want a large room with no tub you would choose 2229, if you want a bathtub you would choose room 2001, but that is close to the stairway so make sure you ask to have a room down that Hall. The stairway is very loud as there are a lot of kids at the hotel also people leaving early in the morning for flights. The pool area is very clean and well-kept. The breakfast buffet offers a lot of options and very clean more space than the average breakfast area! Parking is interesting during the snowy weather. Overall a nice experience!

Great place to stay with children. My granddaughter had a wonderful time at the kids pool. It was also convenient to go that short distance to the mall. I was able to park right outside my window where I watched my car get buried in snow. They did have bobcats out plowing during the night, and the sidewalks were shoveled. The breakfast was awesome, with two TV's and plenty of seating and food choices.

This hotel is literally right across the street from the Mall of America. The hotel has a shuttle that took the 5 of us over there on several occasions. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonable. The hotel also has an indoor water play area with several slides and other water play ameneties. It also has a large pool and a hot tub. There was plenty for all of us to do. We requested an extra bed and had one within the hour. The breakfast was really good, fresh and offered something for even the pickiest of our group! It was an awesome experience and I will definitely go back again!

Wonderful welcoming staff at the front desk and at JT's Food & Cocktail located at the hotel. Huge pool area, great if you're coming with your family, ask for pool side. Very large property. If coming for work ask for 2nd floor in the back. Great breakfast buffett, all the usual offerings, Breakfast doesn't start until 6:00 am, which seemed odd and late. Hotel gym is not good! It is off the pool, dark and older equipment. There are 3 hotel shuttles, they will pick you up from the airport or take you over to Mall of America. This is an older property rooms are OK. Great front desk staff and the bar staff at JT's is fun and welcoming. Excellent shuttle drivers all I experienced where helpful, kind and polite.

This hotel goes above and beyond for its guests. When they heard the room was not cleaned to our satisfaction they sent someone in to remake the bed and vacuum the room again. They also gave us a discount on the room. The pool side rooms are quiet when you shut the door. The staff was friendly when checking in and out. The beds were very comfortable as well.

The room was better than expected. If you plan on staying pool side be ready for the noise, we were on second floor. Check in staff very friendly. Not the most helpful when asking for simple things like a fork.

Wonderful treatment upon check in and check out with great local knowledge and advice of the area, and excellent shuttle services. The temperatures were well below 0 the duration of our stay and the staff made this a comfortable and enjoyable experience transitioning around the local area.

Everything was awesome! Such a great hotel and restaurant - the staff was so great! Ebony was such a welcoming person and made everyone feel so great! The restaurant waiter we had at 2pm on 12/27 was so very nice and helpful! Overall a great experience!

We had a great time at this hotel. Went to the Mall of America and spent 6 hours and had a lot of fun. Came back Saturday night and went into the hot tub for a hour and a half. Only problem was the step close to the hot tub was hard to see and my wife tripped and broke a bone in her foot.

Loved this hotel, starting with our check-in. Roy at the front desk was exceptional - professional, welcoming, and kind. Had a treacherous (icy conditions) drive from Wisconsin to Minnesota. Roy sympathized with us and provided a quick registration, bottled water, and coupons for the restaurant. Brittany also gave us a very warm welcome. The room looked newly renovated, clean, and was so comfortable, including the bed. Breakfast was perfect for us - cheesy eggs, french toast or pancakes, real almonds for a topping, homemade yogurt, bagels, fruits, and many extras. The weather was too cold for us to venture out so we were delighted that the hotel had a restaurant - plus it had a lovely decor. The wood-fired pizza was delicious and exactly what we needed. Also appreciated our server, a young man that was efficient and exactly what I hope for in a waiter. The hotel looked fully booked, but there were always plenty of parking spaces by our door. The Mall of America is directly across the street. We didn't have time to visit the mall, but I noticed several shuttles in front for immediate use. The shuttle driver will drop one off at the mall, give a card with the cell number, and pick up in the same spot. Looked super easy! There is also a footbridge a short distance from the hotel to access the mall, probably a 5-10 minute walk. The pool also looked very inviting, especially for families, but we had no time. All in all, would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

I think this was our 3rd visit here and again we enjoyed it. The pool area is perfect for smaller children and well kept. We had a suite this time which was huge and clean and the decor was very nice. The breakfast is busy but the staff are super friendly and work hard to keep everything stocked. We will be back!

We stayed after flying in from vacation last week. Comfortable room, great breakfast. My daughter loved the awesome little water park. We didn't have time to swim this time, but will definitely book again here next time! Breakfest was good. Had a great variety!

I could not be happier with my family's stay at the BW Bloomington Hotel. We decided on a Christmas Adventure rather than giving presents this year and stayed at the hotel for three days/nights during the week before the Christmas holiday. The price was astounding for what we got: clean rooms, convenient parking, fantastic location (across the street from the Mall of America), lovely breakfast, wonderful swimming area (especially for little ones), and one of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of sampling this year. We WILL be back!

We traveled here from ND to go to the MOA with our 2 year old. It was so nice being so close to the mall. Not only that, the rooms and pool were clean and the breakfast was delicious! Would stay again!

Stayed here with our 2 kids during our visit to the Mall of America. The room was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of options for breakfast. The kids loved the pool, it was a great place for them to play after long days at the mall. They also offer a free shuttle that will take you to the mall and pick you up. The staff were great.

The extra blanket and pillow were dirty. Not stained, but as if they were put it the bag and drawer unclean. I requested another about 5PM and was told they didn't have extras but would try to find me one. They did finally locate one at 10PM. The remote didn't work, but I was able to change it from the TV. I didn't report this. The shower wasn't clean. The grout was gross.
