    « Amazing! »

Stayed at the Best Western Lovec for 4 nights earlier this month with my partner and I can honestly say it was the best holiday of my life, and he agrees 100%. We had a room with a little balcony and jacuzzi overlooking the lake and it was just perfect. The views were absolutely stunning, capturing the castle, big church and the island also. Waking up to that every day was magical as was relaxing in the jacuzzi every night looking out onto the lake. Will never forget it. We had a leak in the jacuzzi on the first day and within an hour of reporting it it was fixed! Fantastic. The room was spotless and the bed was huge and so so comfy. Could not fault the room one bit. All of the staff in the hotel were fantastic but one member in particular sticks out. The gentleman on reception (day shifts 2-5th November) was so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and he was always smiling. He is a credit to the hotel. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but the breakfasts were delicious and always lots of lovely fresh food to choose from including loads of fresh fruit and real fruit juice. Pool and saunas were also lovely and clean. We had a massage in the spa which was fantastic and good value for money. The spa was lovely and relaxing. I would 100% recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. Bled is absolutely stunning, the most relaxing beautiful place I have ever visited. And to make it even better the people are amongst the nicest I have met too :)

    « Great Location »

Nice hotel just up the road from Lake Bled we stayed here in November rooms were lovely and warm great view of the lake nice little supermarket across the car park just up the hill to the bus station the staff were very friendly and helpful and a nice little bar as well I would recommend well worth the money we paid for it

« not all its cracked up to be »

there was one nice lady receptionist, the two men were curt and abrupt when dealing with us. cleaning lady didn't speak English so we didn't chat much. our rooms were not cleaned much but the bathroom was cleaned daily. when i arrived there was a plastic kiwi knife on the television it was still there when i left. the spar and pool area was okay but you had to keep ringing for them to switch things on and off. no hot water for the hot drinks that were available to use ,when my daughter asked a member of staff about it she said cant you bring one from your room.the breakfast was okay but the night we arrived we went downstairs to eat ordered two well done burger and chips, when they arrived they were raw and cold inside, we were offered an alternative of roast beef which turned out to be a piece of steak or something that was so tough i could have soled my shoes with it .needless to say we didn't bother eating in the hotel again. the waitress was very nice and apologetic. i wouldn't visit this hotel again.

« Good hotel but a little tired »

This hotel is a good base for exploring Lake Bled. It is within walking distance to boat docks and many restaurants. Our room came with a view of Lake Bled, although slightly obscured by a large parking garage. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was standard. We booked this hotel for the spa area as after a day of hiking and walking we thought the extra amenities would be nice to enjoy. Although the pool area is clean there is visible mould in the shower area, which is a little scary. We were visiting in October which may be off season so I am not sure if it is normal that we had to request the saunas and whirlpool to be turned any case that is what we did. The whirlpool was warm at best. The pool was cold. You could see where maybe this hotel was a little rough around the edges. Breakfast in the morning was bountiful. Lots of hot and cold options as well as regional jams and spreads which was a lovely touch. Overall our stay was good but we may try another hotel next time we are back.

    « Amazing stay! »

Excellent hotel. as a person who booked few times before in Best westren hotels, I'm always satisfied from the stay. The location if perfect. 1 minute walk from the lake and from the shopping center (market, pharmacy, food). it has restaurant inside, warm pool, jacuzi, sauna, and even massages room. All the employees are nice and helpful, and gives you a good feeling. The room is big (we stayed in the suite), and has large fridge, TV with many channels, and comfortable bed with piillow menu :). the bath is large and the jacuzi works great. the only drawback is the weak flow of the water from the shower head. the suite we took also had kitchen with oven and stone (need to be carefull with the oven since you can't unplugged it). it was nice and the room felt bigger. The hotel has small outside parking and also underground parking (I think it's considered more to the other hotels). The place is clean but I gave 4 stars for the serivce as I felt the maids could have done a bit better work (take care for the coffer/sugar supply, replace all the towls). I was missing kids club for rainy days (other than the pool). I think this kind of hotel can offer it for the guests (I know it exists in some other hotels). to summerize, I really think this is the best choice for Bled. I had many thoughts about where to stay (specially between Besn westren to Hotel kompas), but I'm glad we finallu choose this place, and it was amazing and unforgetable stay.

« Nice jacuzzi with lake view ! »

This is a nice small hotel near the lake. It's in the centre amongst all the happening things you would expect at lake bled. Nice restaurants, grocery shopping, night life bars all within a few steps walking distance. Nothing special or extraordinary when comes to hotel and rooms, usual stuff what you would expect from best western hotel ! Staff super friendly, I forgot his name but one particular staff member working in restaurant was very friendly, whether it had to do with needing warm milk for kid when almost everything was closing out or breakfast time or customising for kiddo for dinner. Always smiling and on the food. Breakfast was alright. Our room was with a lake view, and upon entering the room we were surprised to see a jacuzzi with a view to lake ! Our 4 yo son was so excited, first thing he did upon entering the room was having a bath in jacuzzi ! Had a good stay.

    « A nice 1970'ish hotel near the lake »

This 1970'ish hotel is set back just off of the lakeside - the reception were very friendly and helpful - the room had a balcony, half of which contained our very own hot tub / jacuzzi, leaving just enough space for 1 chair on the balcony itself - being in our 60's we would have preferred no jacuzzi and a full width balcony so that both of us could sit out and enjoy the lake views (i.e. over the top of the small shopping centre which is located between the hotel and the lake). Our bedroom was fine and quite comfortable, but will need a spot of modernising in the next year or two to justify the room charge. Overall, a decent hotel, but not the best in Bled.

The property is beside the lake, on the elevated position and has - not the best - but stil a great view over the postcard like scenery. The rooms are tiny up to european standards and comfortable. Breakfast is nice and provides variety of options - from slovene cousine to more common foods. We booked a standard room but ended up in the room with the balcony which had amazing views over the picturesque landscape. Many thanks to hotel concierge Tomaz Kosir who did not only upgraded us at arrival, but served as a great consultant and furthermore even as a guide. He even arranged us private use of pool and sauna, which was great. Based on restrictions due to our trip schedule we would have stayed here longer. Recommended.

« A Lovely Hotel!- Would recommend to all. »

Beautiful hotel located right next to Lake Bled. We had an amazing room on the top floor/4th Floor which had a great view of Lake Bled. A nice balcony that we sat on to take in the view of the Lake, plus a lovely jacuzzi bath also overlooking the lake in the room by the window. The room itself was very large with such a large and comfortable bed and duvet! - Pillow menu for choice, and we had a great sleep for the three nights we stayed here!. Air conditioning in the room, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, hairdryer and a flat screen TV , Free Wifi, Radio etc. Also included in our room were Coffee and Tea making facilities, a mini bar/fridge and a nice bathroom. - Plenty of Facilities on offer! Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, hot and cold foods, Eggs, Bacon, Sausages, Omelettes, Pancakes,Yoghurts, Cakes, Cereals, Cheese's, Porridge.. the list goes on... all hot and fresh and regular updated. The hotel itself is so clean and well maintained. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful, everyone smiles and greets guests. I booked directly with the hotel via email and Maja was so helpful , Thank you so much. The hotel has its own car park which we used just outside reception and is free of charge. The hotel has a prime location and just a few minutes walk you are on the Lake Side, it is also next too a small shopping centre, supermarket, coffee shops, bars, fast food outlets etc.- Excellent location. The hotel also has its own Grill restaurant. I would totally recommend this hotel to all. It has a perfect location, great value and so clean, comfortable and a great friendly team on hand to assist.

« Wonderful well appointed hotel -some rooms with a magical kake view. »

We stayed here a couple of nights in room 313 which is lakeside and has a breathtaking view with a balcony. The room is perfect with a comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Quality soft linen and chouce of pilliws. We arrived by car so the free parking was a plus. Either in front or their subterranean garage. Breakfast very varied and of good quality. Staff are polite and helpful. Our only negative experience was an unattended reception when wr first arrived but someone offered us coffee while we wait so that was sweet. We would certainly return but not all rooms have such a fine view. I guess we were lucky for once which normally doesn't happen.

« Good location and comfortable »

This hotel is located in the center of Bled so there is easy access to the lake, boats, and stores. The room had a view of the lake, the island, and the Julian Alps. The bed was very comfortable (which can't be said of all hotels in eastern Europe) and the AC worked. Directly across from the hotel is a small commercial district with a grocery store which was convenient.

« We came to see the beautiful lake and mountains. Most BEAUTIFUL place!!!! »

Our room looked out over the lake and the mountains. It was difficult to leave the balcony and the view but sleep was needed. The breakfast buffet was totally unbelievable! This was a unique experience in that there was food for so many different cultures of the world. The buffet was well managed and always clean with fresh food. Loved it! We met Tomaz Kosir who worked at the front desk when we arrived. He helped us with making sure the room was what we wanted, he guided us in our travels and he made sure that we had everything we needed or requested. He is a great man of God with a spirit of hospitality. He is a blessing to us and a new friend! Thank you Tomaz for taking care of us!!!

« Great hotel in Bled »

Very pleasant hotel in a fine location overlooking the lake. Staff were most helpful and the rooms were well furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate with a large range of both hot and cold foods and the main restaurant serves interesting and varied meals throughout the day and evening. There is a small pool which is a bonus and an adjoining sauna and steam room - not operating at the time of our visit. I would suggest trying to book a room with a view overlooking the lake which essentially means at the front of the hotel on either the 3rd or 4th floors. I can recommend from personal experience Room 308 which had a balcony and stunning views over the lake. A well recommended hotel if you are visiting Lake Bled.

    « Good Location »

Hotel Lovec is well located taking only minutes to walk to the lake. My second floor room had a lake view and small balcony. The hotel is very clean and the staff are pleasant and efficient. I chose the bed and breakfast option. Breakfast is available from 7am right through till 11am and there is a great selection of hot and cold food. The small pool and jacuzzi would be a nice place to relax during the winter season but with the lake so close you wouldn't need it in summer. My friend and I had a very enjoyable week at Hotel Lovec which we used as a base to explore the area. We were able to book some good excursions at the tourist information centre just over the road from the hotel.

« Good choice for Bled »

We enjoyed Hotel Lovac in Lake Bled for a quick trip thru the area. This hotel is clean, modern and updated. Location is solid for Bled. It is an easy walk to castle or just to jump in the lake for a swim. Since parking was available, it made things much easier since we has a rent car.

« nice hotel. great location »

We had a very pleasant stay in the hotel.Very nice and helpful staff. Great location - two minutes walk from the lake and shops. The room - clean. spacious, robes, slippers in the closet, has safe and tea and coffee making facilities, chocolate on pillows and free bottles of water on the first day. Breakfast - rich enough. Pool - OK. Also has sauna.

    « End of a great trip »

Lake Bled is a very lovely place. Hotel is first class, rooms a large, clean, very modern. Very close to everything you want to see and visit. My expectations were more than met at the hotel. Service was solid

« Great hotel in a great location »

Hotel Lovec is in a fantastic location just a couple of minutes' walk from the lake. There are also shops, restaurants and a bars on its doorstep. The room itself was clean and modern, with some nice touches (chocolate on pillows and free bottles of water on the first day). The room's facilities were good, including a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. There were also robes, slippers and an umbrella provided for during our stay. The hotel's pool was very small but is reflective of photos. The pool area was nice enough but not particularly luxury. We didn't use the hotel restaurant during our stay other than breakfast which was fantastic. There was a huge selection of food and drink which was really impressive for a relatively small hotel. The only slight negative was the rather noisy air conditioning. We needed to keep it on all night due to the heat but it did make something of a racket! The hotel was OK price wise - not cheap but not extortionate. I'd be happy to return if visiting Bled again and would recommend it to other travellers.

    « Outstanding Experience »

BEST WESTERN Premier Hotel Lovec absolutaly exceeded our expectations; since the early Check In, we were greeted in a such a beautiful way and were given a totally unexpected upgrande in one of the connecting-rooms, which totally surprised us and made our stay an unforgettable one. Great position, only few minutes walking distance to Bled Lake and the city centre, we also tried the pool and sauna internal the structure which completed our stay in a delight way. Great Stuff, great breakfast, amazing stay, I highly reccoment Hotel Lovec to all who are looking a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Bled. Highly reccomended*****.

    « Terrible »

I'm not one to typically write reviews but I feel compelled to share. I booked three rooms for the Best Western Lovec over a month in advance, on Upon our arrival, the Best Western receptionist told us they were overbooked but we could stay in their "other building." The other building was actually Hotel Kompas, a completely different hotel. Apparently they are owned by the same person, but are most definitely not the same hotel. I booked the Best Western based on pictures and reviews of that hotel...not Hotel Kompas. I wound not have chosen Hotel Kompas due to the layout, nasty grey carpeting, and old decor. It's not my style, which is why our group of 9 people was very disappointed that they switched us to a different hotel without even a courtesy email ahead of time. After driving for three hours to get there we had very little option but to stay in the hotel we did not choose. I find it deplorable that a business can do this, despite my booking confirmation. I wish I could give better details for the Best Western since that's where we booked, but I can tell you it looked far nicer and more modern than the hotel they shoved us in. I hope the Best Western Lovec at the beautiful Lake Bled will show more consideration for their guests in the future. I know that I certainly will never book there again.

« close to Lake Bled »

Hotel had a great location with parking available for free for cars. We had a room on 1st floor with view over parking.Bed was comfy with very soft mattress. Hotel had their own restaurant, massage and swimming pool. Room was nicely furnished with amazing and soft towel. It was so good to use them.Staff extremely helpful, nice and always smiling.Internet connection was fine. Breakfast was good with plent of choice and great orange juice. Hotle was just walking distance from spot where you can take boat (electric or normal one) to get you to the famous island. Or it takes you around 20 minutes to walk to the castle which last 15 minutes is quite a steep walk.Behind the hotel there is shopping centre with food court.

« Awesome location, views and breakfast »

This is quite simply the best Best Western hotel I've ever been to. If you're familiar with the brand you know they can vary from place to place as they are franchises and this one is quite simply the best. It's right next to the shopping mall with all the tourist amenities and the restaurants that are open extremely late (we were there during the World Cup). Parking is free and there are some spots in front of the hotel as well as under the hotel. Lake is just a few minutes away and you're right in the heart of town. The breakfast was incredible - loved everything about it. Not only was there your usual continental breakfast fare but lots of meat, local cheese, juice options and local delicacies.

    « Okay »

This hotel is in a great location with very good lake views and for the price good enough value for Bled The rooms are clean and comfortable with small shower rooms no bath they are also well equipped and modern The balcony doors are very old fashioned and do not work easily and ours never stayed shut properly The breakfast is adequate but not much healthy stuff and very poor fruit offerings The grill restaurant is not that great and overpriced for Slovenia Overall it is a reasonable choice for a few days as part of a trip around but not a destination to choose if you want to spend a week or so

« Beautiful hotel with beautiful views! »

I was very happy with my two night stay here! What a lovely hotel with great amenities! My room was spacious and the bed was heavenly! Had a great view from both the balcony and the in-room jacuzzi! What girl doesn't want to lay in a bubble bath looking out over a sparkling lake and castle?! We even saw a fireworks show from our room! Everything was very clean. Enormous plush towels, comfy bathrobes, top notch. We didn't use the pool or the spa but everything looked great. The hotel restaurant was fantastic for dinner. We got a coupon for a free glass of wine, and the cream cake was delicious. Breakfast was good as well, they had an enormous selection and everything was yummy. Short walk from the lake and everything else beautiful Bled has to offer!

    « Super location »

The hotel is situated within short walking distance to the lake. Parking is also available, either directly outside the hotel or in the underground garage. The staff are friendly and helpful and are willing to make taxi reservations or bookings. We booked a room with lakeside view and this was certainly not up to our expectations. We were on the 2nd floor and saw more of a parking area and shopping mall than the lake. We also found the room rather small for a Best Western Premier but it had everything you needed including tea and coffee facilities. Bottled water was also provided. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning functional. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and good coffee. We ate at the grill one evening and the food and service was very good.

« Ideal base to explore Lake Bled Area »

Really helpful receptionist upon arrival. There were no parking spaces left outside reception so we were told about the underground garage. The receptionist even offered to park our car for us. Room excellent with a view of the lake. A couple of small niggly things...Complimentary water on first night but never replaced after that. Used a tea bag on first morning but not replaced. Breakfast more than adequate, fresh eggs if you request them (sometimes the hot plate eggs looked a bit sad!). Would highly recommend the Grill for evening meal. Fresh fish to die for. Excellent base to explore this most beautiful country.

    « Lake View??? I don't think so! »

Be careful paying a premium for a lake view at this hotel! Having booked a lake view I was given a room that primarily overlooks a car park / service area ramp (see photo below)! I asked reception if I could have a room at a higher floor only to be told that has an option to request and pay a premium for a room on the 3rd or 4th floor! I don't recall any option to do so - it was just lake view or not when I booked. Reception say there's nothing they can do as higher floor rooms are all specifically requested - so my advice is email or call this hotel before paying for a lake view! Otherwise, the hotel seems nice, is well located and the room is clean and looks comfortable.

« Amazing view on great balcony »

As first time visitors to Lake Bled, we wanted and got a prime location, close to the lake. The rooms were comfortable, reasonably sized for Europe, and had excellent mattresses. The indoor pool was small but excellent, and one staff member opened it early just for our pleasure. As in much of Slovenia wi-fi was intermittently good, but the overall experience was excellent.

« Not up to standards »

The hotel claims 4 stars, when 3 is absolutely more than sufficient. The facilities are low quality and the furniture as well. The AC was so loud that it was hard to sleep. The whole place really feels low budget. It doesn't have a view of lake bled, I guess you can see part of it through the buildings if your standing at the right angle in the restaurant.

    « Very nice »

Very clean, modern, good breakfasts, good facilities, and pleasant and helpful reception staff. Location is central, and parking is available outside the lobby and in a basement. We didn't try the adjoined Grill restaurant, however friends rated it very highly.

    « nice view »

clean nice and good location but they kept the coffee cups without cleaning for 3 nights since i arrived and used it without refill coffee or tea their was a mall near by but it wasn't a real mall will visit it again

« Nice afternon in grill terasa »

Nothing better than nice afternoon on terasa of Best Westrn hotel in Bled. Super food ,tasty , localy produced and prepared in gurmanic way. The crew is kind, nice and very helpful with super sugestions ..Super place for resting from walking around lake... Thanks for nice afternoon...

    « outstanding »

100 meters away from lake Bled. a great place to stay. very reasonable price for what you get. Big clean rooms. small lobby but clean and beautiful. very friendly staff and helpful as well. Good breakfast. cozy

    « Ok Hotel »

This hotel is well situated in Bled and close to the lake. Our room just missed out on the 'lake view' as it was on the first floor, but nice mountain vistas anyway. Stayed for 6 nights and the hotel was OK. Room very clean and comfortable, staff were fine, and reception very good. pool and sauna also good, and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. Breakfast were Ok as well with a good selection. Problem was we were on half board from our holiday company (Archers). On our first night we we were almost on our own in the dinning room and were given a 'half board menu, which was limited, but OK (They have a pub and Bistro attached to the hotel). We had a nice starter and some nice trout and a sweet. A good start. The next night, no menu, just a buffet which was far from inspiring. The chicken 'fillet' was drumsticks, and the tagliatelli I had was lukewarm with a thin gorgonzola sauce ( served all on cold plates ! ). Not good and a definate decline from the first night. We had a look the 3rd night and it was much the same, so we deicided we needed to eat out, which we did for the rest of our stay ( so so much for the half board ). Not an inspiring dinner offering. I would give it a miss and perhaps go B&B, but when we return it will be to another establishment !

    « value for money »

we spent 3 nights in hotel Lovec during our business trip last week and everybody were really satisfied with all services, Especially restaurant service is great. Great location together with reasonable prices make this hotel no.1 choice for our TA.

    « OUTSTANDING Experience »

OUTSTANDING Experience; BEST WESTERN Premier Hotel Lovec is an amazing place to stay; only few steps from the beauty of Lake Bled, amazing Reception Stuff always ready to help you making you feeling special. Super room, so spacious and full of anything making you feeling at home, breakfast was excellent with stuff always smiling. An amazing stay full of relax and beauty; a special thanks to all the employees, for making a simple week-end an unforgettable one. Highly recommended, *****stars.

« Generally it is OK. »

We spent few days in this hotel. Generally it was OK. We had big room with mountains view. The room was clean and everything worked well. Nice Grill restaurant offers wide varieties of grilled meet and fish. For breakfast you can find an assortment of lovely fresh farm products. We personally felt the lack of fitness room but we could rent a bicycle or walk around the lake. Strongly do not recommend room 406!!!! unless you are deaf. The tractor engine (air conditioning system of hotel is just behind the window) will not give you chance to feel the nature. Next night we were offered another room but there was a smell of smoking.

« Close to the lake and all the "action" »

The staff were very helpful. The room was modern and comfortable with a pillow menu for those who felt the need for a different pillow. The business center had internet available 24/7 so one could print up plans, agenda & boarding passes. The pool was empty for our stay. The jaccuzzi was quite weak and unimpressive. On the other hand the HOT rooms were fine. We liked the hotel breakfasts and the number of nearby restaurants were pleasing. DO NOT skip the Cremshnit at the Cafe Royal. Inexpensive and delightful visit. They had limited parking available which we took advantage of for free. Stroll around the lake if it is not hot, otherwise catch a boat. Even fulfilled absurd request for an international NY Times!!

« A Hotel That Fails to Deliver »

First impressions of the Hotel Lovac were quite good. It has a fairly central position above the lake and seemed modern and quite stylish but the service failed to live up to this impression. When we arrived in early afternoon we were told that our room wasn't ready which at 13.30 was just about acceptable but after a long walk along the lake we returned to find it still wasn't ready so had to sit around in the lobby. The room was OK but we had booked a lake view and the water was only visible above a local, rather noisy shopping centre. Both dinner and breakfast buffets were disappointing with limited choice and badly cooked food. When it came to leave the card machine had failed so we had to settle with cash. Parking was also a major problem as the hotel had both a surface car park and one underground but the surface one was free whereas you had to pay for the one underground. Naturally people squeezed into every available spot above ground making it extremely difficult to extricate your car when needed

This modern hotel is just steps from everything you would want to see in Bled. It is modern , clean and the restaurant ( the Grille ? ) is excellent. They have local and imported wines. Miha Sustar on the front desk was extremely helpful and humorous.

« Decent hotel, well located »

I booked this hotel as it was recommended by the lonely planet guide, but our room faced a car park and both mornings we woke up to road works at 7am outside our room. The air con was also pretty useless, meaning the room was too hot most of the time. Breakfast had a decent selection, however instead of choosing the rubbery textured pancakes- instead opt for the beautiful fresh bread with homemade jam and honey, you won't regret it! The sauna was great and the staff at reception were very friendly. The hotel also has plenty of parking spaces and is a few minutes walk to the lake and nearby restaurants.

    « Best 4star ever! »

Hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the lake. Rooms are clean and comfortable, worth the extra money for a lake view room in my opinion. The Jacuzzi bath overlooking the lake was an added bonus and as for the breakfast buffet, better than 5 stars I've stayed in! Apart from all the usual, this buffet boasts the best selection of tea I've ever seen at a hotel, loose tea so you can brew a perfect pot according to your tastes. They also have complimentary bubbly with the breakfast! Just book, you won't regret it!

    « Disrepair »

This hotel had the best breakfast buffet in all my years of travel. I appreciated the locally sourced food. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was not pleasant. Upon arrival there was a bottle of water and a packet of coffee in the room noted to be complimentary. We were 2 people in the room and I asked the front desk if we could have enough for 2 people. No. Told it was a policy of the hotel to have 1 bottle of water. Stayed 2 nights and nothing was replenished. The key belonging to the prior guest was still in the room when we arrived. Hair dryer and air conditioning was non functional. Wifi intermittent. There was so much dirt on the floor of my room that my socks turned black. When my coat and luggage touched the floor they were coated with dust. In the lobby area outside my room it had not been vacuumed in apparently weeks as the area was being painted.

    « Excellent Stay »

Hotel was very central to Lake Bled in fact approx 5 min walk. Rooms were very comfortable and clean and had everything in them you would need for a short break.Complimentary tea and coffee and if we needed extra we asked and it was given to us with no problem. Complimentary slippers bath robes and toiletries were also in the room as well as a mini bar which was chargeable at the end of the break.Decent size TV if anyone is interested with a good few channels to choose from. The staff were every helpful and friendly and were more than happy to give directions to where else to visit and how to get there. We were on the 1st floor we had 2 rooms only downfall was when the window was open at night room backed on to a shopping centre car park and you were woken early morning by deliveries to the shops easy remedied by closing the window. Wifi worked no problems at all. Breakfast was nice usual hot and cold choices tea coffee etc we also ate of an evening in the hotel restaurant the food was very nice and reasonably priced service was good and again the staff were very courteous and helpful. Swimming pool is very small not for swimming lengths more just to have fun in did not try the sauna etc as time was limited to seeing the sights. I would highly recommend this hotel for a short break it is situated in a central position to explore the lake and it has good public transport links to reach other destinations around and about the area.

    « Excellent food! »

I just loved their food - full of flavor and they took excellent care when giving me food which wouldn't give me allergies. Their breakfasts and dinners were a treat! I also stayed at Kompas hotel which is their sister hotel and I was so disappointed by the tasteless food. Breakfast made me wonder why I bothered to get up in the first place! Dinner bland and on two occasions I got an allergic reaction. Lovec gets thumbs up

    « Unreliable hotel »

I booked a superior room two months in advance, but on our arrival we were informed that the superior room was not available. I think this is unacceptable and very unprofessional. I could not believe the explanation they gave: something went wrong with the booking system. How could not they see that the same room had been booked twice? Or, did they just decide to give it to someone else hoping that we would not turn up? Also, the staff was not good at handling the situation. We ended up in a room without balcony and internet (wifi is not working on the 3rd floor), and I almost felt bad asking for a lower price because at first they did not offer a discount as compensation (they simply asked for the price of the actual room which is not a discount price in my opinion).

« Far , far better than we expected »

Bled isn't on many peoples agenda I admit. I only know of it as I skimmed through the place back at the end of the old Yugoslavia as part of a road trip. So as a half term mini breakette on a budget, we flew into Ljubliana and pootled up to the Best Western in Bled. We chose this place primarily because the prices were very attractive and it advertised a pool, Jacuzzi and steam/ sauna rooms for guests. maybe we were lucky, but the cheap hired car got us there in 30 minutes and we found a parking space on the forecourt. And every day we managed to park on site with no hassle. Room were big enough. nice comfy beds, decent telly with a few movie channels, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities ( as they say in the brochures). View of the car park as we tight wads didn't cough up for the lake view rooms, but it didn't really take away too much from the place itself. Cleaned every morning when we were at the good quality included buffet breakfast. The pool isn't massive but is more than enough for an hour of playing,. Steam and sauna rooms are great - we really never used the bath in the rooms as we were in the pool and hot showers every day Located a couple of hundred metres from the lakeshore, this is a pretty decent place. Plenty of resturants around the hotel to choose your eats. The Slovenian Union beer is a refreshing delight. As a place to explore the lake and the surrounding country, this is a fantastic place to base yourselves. Thoroughly recommended

« Very nice, expensive hotel »

We arrived late and our mobile phone was not working, so we stayed in this hotel which had parking and nice rooms. However, the price (including breakfast) was at least 50% greater than anywhere else we have stayed in Slovenia (Euro 120). We had a view of Lake Bled and the meal in the restaurant was very good. The bed was very comfortable, though the room was a bit small. The room was overheated, but we turned off the heat and opened the window and slept well. A good place if you have a few extra euros to spend. The one disappointment was that the sauna had not been heated when the sauna was supposed to open at 10 am.

« Outstanding Views, Helpful Service & Good Breakfast »

We LOVED visiting Bled and Hotel Lovec was the perfect place for us to stay. Front desk staff helped arrange car service and was great at giving directions. They also facilitated speedy check-in and check-out processes which are always appreciated. Breakfast was very good -one could choose light fare or something more hearty for a walk around the Lake. If you stay, it's well worth the cost of a Lake-view room. We also had a small terrace and hot tub in our room. I loved the idea of taking a soak while looking out at the Lake and Castle. Unfortunately, the hot tub water smelled a little like mold but that was only on the first use, as my husband did not shy away from using this nice room amenity either. The veranda was a bit small but we still were able to have coffee and wine out there by squeezing some furniture from the room onto it. My trip was some time ago but I have a very clear recollection of Hotel Lovec which should underscore my positive experience there. I still feel like it was great value for the hospitality, and would return in a heartbeat!

    « Dissapointed this time »

Breakfast stayed in our heads as a superb. We were dissapointed and very sad. What happened? Where are those superb Ego yoghurts?! I am aware that now you have corner with local products which is nice. In that corner there was yoghurt with forest fruits which was sour!!! We told that immediately to the waiter that it has to be replaced because it's out of date and he didn't mind. He only said "Ok" and that's it. Of course, he didn't offer us another one because this was unedible. Also where have desserts gone??? No pancakes, waffles or nothing similar for me who eat sweet things in the morning. Only plain croissant full of smelly butter. No sweets at all. I'm gratefull if hotel thinks about guests sugar level but nothing sweet in offer is unaccetable. I asked waiter if there is anything because maybe I can't see right and he said that that there is jam. Ok,nothing to say more. Also,we could see that waiter has long shift. This waiter is an older man from the "old times". Forgot his name, think it starts with S. We could see that he is tired and he said it aswell. We saw him at breakfast and in the evening at their pub and then restaurant. Same waiter at all fronts in the hotel that wants to be superb and that costs pretty much?! Little more staff maybe?? Also little course to staff of todays proffesionalism in hotel tourism and remembering that we are not in those times anymore and that room price has to follow proffesional staff. Example is Slon in Ljubljana where staff really represent what hotel is and wants to be. Room is still superb. Bed,linen,it's clean and warm. Sauna is also very good. Usually we see tea in sauna and not coffee which we found there but ok. In the meantime we were in Bled again but in another hotel. Really don't know if we will return here anymore. We were too dissapointed.

« Brilliant hotel. Great lake view. Amazing in-room jacuzzi »

I have to be biased towards this hotel. I really got the best room and at a great price (got it through a price was between Hotels and Booking, and Booking had to price match to refund me!). We celebrated our 1st marriage anniversary here, so this hotel was a lovely surprise for my wife too. The room was smaller than what I expected. But then I couldnt complain because it was BANG on the lake front. There was a small balcony (good for 1 person really) and I had the most enjoyable morning tea of my life looking at the serene lake. There was also an in-room jacuzzi that overlooks the lake when you are inside (talk about a luxurious bath!) but alas we couldnt use due to lack of cleanliness and poor plumbing. There was a major complaint regarding the floor standing AC which wasnt effective at all. However they provided us two table fans that made the night comfortable. The in-house restaurant serves great food and wine. DO have the fish there, it will blow your palette. I will definitely go back hoping the hotel fixes the above issues.

    « Customer Service disappointment »

Today me and my mother went for dinner to the hotel restaurant (we have half board). when we ordered fish it was out of date and smelled horrible. The waiter didn't apologise, instead made a joke and brought us other dish which was fine. After I have asked what's today's desert (as it is included in half board) He said "can I offer you"something special"? He said there is a lovely chocolate cake and we said yes. He brought us 1 cake and then he also asked if wanted a second spoon?! First of all there was no apologies and the "compensation" was one chocolate cake to "share" for two people. And that was after we waited for a while. The hotel is lovely and the room is great, but this dinner has ruined all my mood and impression of the service...

« Don't be fooled by the name »

Don't be fooled by the Best Western title, this is a lovely hotel with charm. The breakfast (included) is wonderful and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the lake. Be sure to try many of the restaurants nearby. Request a room with a view (although the view from many is limited).

« Hotel good, staff gave us wrong information »

We stayed in the room which was on the 4th floor, nice view to the church, it was really nice. When we arrived in check in I asked the man in the reception to recoommand us a restaurant. he recommeneded the restaurant Blec, we went there and it was closed, they told us it will be open in April. When I told the other man in the reception, he didn't say sorry, he said, yes its closed. The recepcion staff should have know this. Than we asked that is the restaurant open in the castle. He said yes. we asked do we have to make a reservation, he said no. We went there, we bought the tickets for 12 euro/person, as an entrace ticket. When we were in the rstaurant they told us we should have not buy the ticket if we make a reservation to the restaurant. We didn't know that, because the man in the reception did't told us. Two times they gave us wrong information. It is unacceptable. Otherwise the hotel was nice, and we enjoyed the time in Bled.

« Nice but small rooms »

The staff speaks english and are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small but have all the necessary things. The toilet was the size of a wc and had no ventilator. The breakfast buffet is very rich and the hotel restaurant is ok. It does not have a lake view unless maybe the upper floors. So if you want a balcony with a lake view which i think it worths a lot you must book in another hotel.

    « N?ce breakfast »

It is a central nice hotel with some view of Bled lake. Unfortunately lake views are over the parking lot of a shopping mall, if you are over 2nd storey. My friends had to stay in the second floor supposed to have a lake view but had only parking lot view.

« Pleasant hotel a few minutes from the Lake »

Breakfast was good if you got early. Room was of a decent size, not huge, but not compact either. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free car parking at the front or in an underground garage (if you go into the pay-and-display car park, you've gone slightly past the hotel). The restaurant served lovely food, I can really recommend the mixed grill platter for two. Great location beside a shop and restaurant/bar area and just a few short minutes walk to the lake. Would definitely come back.

    « More then average »

We wanted to do some short trip for our fall holidays and we decided to visited bled and Slovenia. We weren't that sure about the hotel , cause the options are very splitted on trip advisor. But the great ones on Expedia made us choose this. And after all, now we're home and it was fine. The breakfast is big and the diner too. The stuff is nice, the spa is small but for the little time we spent there enough. The room was clean, big and nice. I liked it and I would go again here, the only reason I'll not go for 5 point are the very little fauxpas they had. Like the lamps they didn't worked in our room. But after asking they fixed the problem in lesser then 15 minutes.

« Short but pleasant stay »

nice and clean room excellent view to the castle hill at the lake. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were ok, we enjoyed the food. Breakfest was served as buffet, the cheese and sausage selection could have been better, but the fresh onion, mushroom, bacon omelet made up for this!

« Great service and view »

Went for a one night stay on the way back to Airport after staying with friends elsewhere. The Hotel is clean, rooms big,the Staff very friendly.Eat in the Grill, excellent food good value.Would stay again

« Everything one would want »

We had a great stay at Hotel Lovec. Not right on the lake but very near and had wonderful views. Lake Bled is one of the prettiest places we've visited and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed their indoor pool, Thai spa, bikes, hearty breakfasts, clean and nice room, pillow menu, and location to restaurants, shops and tourist sites. Lake Bled is a must visit and Hotel Lovec was a great choice.

« Wonderful place to stay »

My wife and I stayed one night at this wonderful hotel. We are seniors. Lake bled Slovenia is a beautiful lake surrounded by tall mountains close to the Austrian border and is close to where my grandfather was born. The hotel was great, good breakfast, free WIFI worked and the rooms were very modern and clean. We had a view from our room overlooking the lake. We drove a rental car from Ljubljana ( only 45 min drive) parking on site is a bit limited. The walking trail around the lake (6 KM) is near the hotel and it is mostly flat with a few slight up hills. It is a 15 min drive by car or bus to Vintgar gorge. Don't miss this if you have the time and are in decent shape. It can get crowded so arrive early I recommend this hotel for your stay in Bled

« Lovely lake view room; both Bled Island and Castle can be seen from the balcony »

The lake view of the room was lovely. It was lovely to drink a cold drink and watching Bled Island and Castle can be seen from the balcony at the same time. Staff were helpful. Breakfast had hot and cold items. Wifi reliable. Didn't use their swimming pool or free bike rental. ** This hotel over charged us by €6 for the room rate. We booked through Best Western website. We didn't check the amount until after we left Slovenia. Check your bill before you pay!

« Small rooms, shower and limited parking space »

This hotel is below the Best Western Premier standards. Small rooms, shower made for anorexic people. The beds are not firm enough to sleep well. The hotel does not have enough parking space. The only advantage they are accepting pets.

« Great hotel on the lake.. »

We had a wonderful stay at Lovec. Staff arranged a taxi to pick us up at the train station and for spa appointments at the in house spa. Service was great. The room was comfortable. It had strong wifi. We payed for the lake view. Well worth it. Was nice having a balcony where you could sip wine and look out on the lake. The spa was very nice. We had several services done and it was very affordable. The restaurant was good for dinner and had many wines to try. Breakfast was much better spread than typical for Europe. The spa water in the lobby is a nice touch. Pool area a little dated. I would stay here again.

    « 2 nights Lake Bled »

Had a reservation for 1 night, ended up staying 2. The room was nice and clean. We had a lake view, which was nice. Very nice location across the street from the lake. The only negative I have is not with the hotel per se, but the restaurant at the hotel. We had dinner their on our first evening, we had a Ravioli and a pork dish and both were terrible.
