Best Western Plus of Birch Run/Frankenmuth

The breakfast was good. My son especially enjoyed the waffles. The room was clean, which was most important to me. The free, easily accessible hot chocolate was a plus. The parking was conveniently located with easy access to our room. Paige at the front desk was kind and helpful.

Small, but clean! Excellent value. The room was small, but was a great space for the value. You could tell there was no smoking of any kind, which is quite a value dor the price. We have stayed in many places that have reeked of pot smoke. This was a pleasant surprise.

Evening desk person was helpful, knowledgeable and caring. Rooms clean and satisfactory, staff friendly. Wasn't able to visit the bar or restaurant. Hotel was clean and organized. Prefer to have a suite during extended stay but not enough available.

A friendly person at check in, a clean room, and a good breakfast to start our day... What more could a guest ask for? The bar area looked inviting when I was checking in, but we were with the kids so might have to test out that situation the next time we are in the area. Thanks for a great stay!

Paige was extremely helpful when booking.com didn't communicate that I paid online before arrival. She took the time to get everything straightened out so that I wasn't charged twice. She was also very sweet to my son. 10/10 customer service!

It was decent for the hotel/amenities we were looking for. Had a pool/hot tub for the kids/adults. Continental breakfast was decent with many options. Room didn't stink like some hotels still using heaters/ACs from old smoking rooms. The restaurant/bar was not open because it was during the week, but we have stayed there before years back when it was and it was a nice treat for the adults. received several texts before and during the stay checking in. The housekeeping checked in to see if we needed anything else (definitely needed more towels). Vending machine prices were quite a bit inflated (and ate our money a couple times with no refund) so bring your own drinks to put in the rooms mini fridge. It was a great location, minutes away from birch run shopping mall and then about 10 mins away from Frankenmuth. We've stayed here quite a few times. For the price paid, it's a good deal.

Pool and Hot tub area were extremely cold but it was that way for a particular reason. (I don't know but other guests mentioned this.) The lady doing the breakfast was an absolute gem. She made the day start off great.

Great location, very clean, just needs some updating and a bit better lighting at night in the parking lot. Otherwise, the location is great, the restaurant and breakfast is great. We'd stay again for sure. Staff was courteous and accommodating

Great hot tub; Great free hot chocolate; Great free hot breakfast!! Pool was nice. Beds were nice. TV was good. Food was good. Beverages were off the chain. Checking in and out was easy. Staff friendly.

Comfortable bed. Clean room. Nice staff. Didn't get a chance to try the food or bar but will definitely book again. Had a wonder time visiting the neighborhood. Frankenmuth was nice. The 136 restaurants was nice. The pool was nice it was just really cold.

We stay here several times through out the year. Have friends in the area and always stay at this property while visiting. The Outlet is great for shopping as well as the many eating facilities. This property is always a great value and always has friendly staff. The continental breakfast is great with many different choices. Also the bar is a nice addition as well as the snacks available.

The staff were so kind. I locked myself out of the room when we were packing up to leave and the receptionist was very understanding and helpful. Plus when we were walking to the pool they had pool towels at the counter ready as we walked by. Their hospitality was lovely, the prices were reasonable, we definitely will stay there again.

Do NOT ignore Google reviews like we did! Very dirty, stained curtains/bedding/shower curtain. Room not as pictured or advertised. No table. There was a van full of people (including a toddler) parked at the entrance smoking weed for hours, they stared as we unloaded luggage as if we were interrupting them. The elevator did not work previous reviews show they haven't worked in years, only 2 towels for a reservation for a family of 4, hallway had open windows making it humid. Our son took his socks off and within 15min his feet were black from the carpet in our room #272 If you need towels, pillows blankets or clean sheets you must walk down and get them yourself. We left a 2 night stay a day early due to the dirty room and didn't receive a refund. We should've read the google reviews before booking this hotel is an absolute dump.

The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Friendly staff and very accommodating. They offered a variety of breakfast options including eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereals and fruit. We'll be staying there often on our trips to Frankenmuth and Birch Run

Our stay at the Best Western Plus was okay. We reserved a suite which was not in the main building, but in the tower across from the main entrance. Our room was nice, clean, well-appointed, and was as pictured on the website, but we were not expecting to have to walk up several flights of stairs with our luggage to get to our room. There is no elevator to get to the suite we were given so be prepared to carry up and down your luggage if you get a suite on the top floor. The staff was very nice and was in contact through text to see if you needed anything. Breakfast was scaled way back as compared to other Best Westerns. The lounge was not open for the days we were there. Apparently, they only open on the weekend. There is an old, much in need of renovation, Days Inn behind the Best Western Plus which shares the amenities of the Best Western. This property is not our style, but was okay for 2 nights.

Beautiful room!! We had one of the suites that was very affordable. It had a gorgeous fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The room was VERY spacious, including the bathroom. Everything was very clean and neat. There was parking very close to the room. The room key cards don't deactivate if you put them near a phone or speaker (I have a tile on my Keychain that will deactivate some hotels cards) which sounds silly but is very frustrating when it happens. Overall, it was a great experience! The only things I would change are: there are no USB outlets in the room so make sure you bring your power block and the refillable body wash, shampoo and conditioner, I'd prefer individual travel size bottles that people haven't messed with. But these two things are so minimal, it would never deter me from staying there again.

Everyting was very clean and all the staff very friendly, very clean pool and nice jacuzzi, very friendly reception person , we enjoy the breakfast every morning, in general everyting was very good.

We did not enjoy our experience at this hotel. The room was dirty, the hallways were dirty, and the pool area was dirty. This hotel smelled funky, and the breakfast was just meh. The pillows on our bed were tiny (we called them chiclet pillows), and our sleep was uncomfortable. Some guests were smoking weed in their room which permeated down the hall and into our room (with a young child) and we had raucous guests adjacent to us who kept us awake all night. The hallways on the second floor had stairs that made it difficult to navigate through with our luggage. The whole place was kind of sketchy. The staff were pleasant. This hotel is conveniently located near the Birch Run outlets, however on our next visit we do not plan to stay at this hotel.

We decided on a trip to Frankenmuth for a quick getaway. We booked this hotel and have not been disappointed we booked a whirlpool suite the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet we heard no road noise. Breakfast was great the breakfast attendant was amazing and friendly, check in was great. Paige was training she did a wonderful job and made a connection with us instantly and made us feel welcome. We already are planning our next trip back up here.

Average hotel stay, could use updates and modernization very dark but quite and great value. Breakfast area and food could use a little more imagination in offerings. Location is very good. Parking is good 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel was older but clean. The pool and hot tub area could use a refresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!! Easy check in and out. Overall great stay and easy access to 1-75 Frankenmuth and Birch Run!!!

Stayed here for an anniversary, basic 2 queen bed room, but it was dark and musty smelling. The hallway was also eerily dark. The shower dispensers were out of both shampoo and body wash (although there was conditioner). While the decor itself has been updated and looks fine, it is like putting the proverbial lipstick on a pig. Beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. We paid more than twice what we have paid at other hotels for better accomodations. We definitely won't be back.

The outside of the hotel had me questioning my choice but the inside was nice and clean. The staff was very nice at check in, check out, and when I needed a few items from the front desk. It seems like an older hotel so the soundproofing was a bit lacking. The hotel bar opened a bit later than advertised, and there is no fitness center, and the hot tub was packed with small kids, it would be nice if they kept the pool open a bit later so adults could relax in there a bit. The internet was speedy and everything was clean and stocked well so over all our stay was fine.

We were there for our niece's wedding. The experience and the politeness of the staff. I've never stayed at a hotel/inn that reached out to the patrons. Thank you for the hospitality. Definitely worth the price.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The room was very nice, AC worked great and plenty of TV stations lol. Free breakfast was more than adequate to start your day. All the staff we interacted with were pleasant.

This is a very well maintained older hotel. The baths have been updated with walk in showers. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spotless. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The internet was fast and reliable.Easy access to the interstate. We'll stay there again.

We checked in at 10pm for a guaranteed late arrival. They charged our card the deposit fee and didn't tell us there was no running water in the entire hotel. When I called to ask why nothing was working in our bathroom the desk clerk told me the water had been out for hours. No word on when it might be back up. The guy at the desk was put out that we wanted to leave and he had to look up the phone number for the hotel that shares their parking lot.

We took our mom to Frankenmuth and we reserved adjoining rooms since she was afraid to stay in a room by herself for the first time in her life. We were "garenteed" adjoining rooms. Got there at check in time and were told there were no adjoining rooms available. Best they could do was down the hall. Our room smelled like sweaty gym socks. Later that evening, we tried to get into moms room and the key card would not work. Front desk was confused because "that was not her room. They just checked another guest into that room." He then realized his mistake and re-keyed her room card. Then a man walked up and said there was someone in his room. He had walked into our moms room and scared her! She was in a frenzy! The hotel clerk assigned the man the room adjoining ours. The room we were told was unavailable. All we got was an apology. Mom ended up sleeping in the extra bed in our room. They have a $100 security deposit per room that is supposed to be refunded within a day of check out. We made several calls and could not reach the manager. Left several messages and no return call. Called the corporate office three times before getting our security deposit back months later. Will NEVER stay here again. Even if we were paid to stay. Worst hotel experience EVER!

The bartender/server was extremely incompetent. She has no idea how to do her job properly. She could not handle the stress of a dinner rush and took it out on the customers. She had no idea that a Military ID was a valid form of proof of age and refused service to me; a 12 year combat veteran. I was disgusted and discriminated against.

This was a last minute stop and we were pleased with our stay. Staff was friendly, coffee and creamer was much appreciated, breakfast was wonderful, room was well maintained and clean. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Very disappointed in this B W. We have stayed there before, and returned again. Poor breakfast items. No milk one day, had to ask for some. Wifi did not work in our room. Had to go to the lobby or the pool area,or outside of our door in the courtyaed to use it. Had to empty our own trash, and ask for clean towels. A four day stay was terrible. Will never return to this location. Others had problems too.

Great hotel centrally located to outlet and frankenmuth shopping. Room was huge, nice courtyard view from patio. Friendly staff beautiful lodge-like lobby. Complimentary coffee available 24/7. My mother and I would recommend this hotel

So many issues. Started with surly front desk clerk. Then keys to room wouldn't work. The pool area and water was too cold to swim, a great disappointment for my grandson. The room heating unit sounded like a jet when starting up. Had 4 people in room, but only 2 towels and washcloths. Luckily we had a couple of our personal pool towels so we could dry off after showering. The soap and shampoo dispensers in shower were empty. The breakfast was very lacking in selection. There was biscuits and gravy and shaved ham. Of course, there was the usual cereal, toast, fresh fruit and such, but for $200 a night, expected a better offering. The hall way carpet was very dirty, not a great first impression. The room was fairly clean, no mold or mildew in shower. Was dismissed when attempted to discuss with front desk at checkout. Was given the GM business card and was told I would receive call. No call. Overall, not worth the $$$.

We have come to expect high standards when we stay at a Best Western Plus and this stay was very disappointing as the breakfast was far less than any other stay we have had. The simple fact of reheating items and serving them over and over is a disappointment

Reasonable priced hotel close to Frankenmuth. Right off of I-75. No bar nor restaurant on site. Has a breakfast - cereal, oatmeal, waffles, sausage biscuit & gravy - run of mill breakfast. Staff was friendly and courteous. Roons were clean and comfortable. Pool was cold, hot tub very hot. All in all, a decent stay.

We stayed here, and I reviewed the hotel a number of years ago, and I can tell you that our stay this time improved by leaps and bounds. For readers who count on an accurate review, it would not be fair to build unfair expectations, but I can now assure you that this hotel has more pluses than minuses. We were very pleased this time around, from easy check-in to cheerful checkout. Our room was perfect for us - nothing spectacular, but it met our needs - very clean, had the usual amenities, good wifi, everything worked, very comfortable bed and pillows, a beside clock that I have come to appreciate and everything convenient. The big difference was that we asked and were able to secure a room in the main building with an interior doorway - close to the reception area, lounge, ice machine, breakfast room and pool/hot tub. Wonderful! There was no smoke odour and the convenience of the location could not be outmatched. We had wanted to go to Frankenmuth and the Outlet Malls of Birch Run to shop, so time in our room was not a high priority. However, the room was rather smallish, and did not have a desk, which we have come to expect. The towels were adequate, but not great, and there were only two of them. Pool towels had to be obtained from the front desk. Again, could only have two. The TV had channels that were difficult to find with the new system at some Best Westerns - and no listings in the room to help us navigate the options. Despite our room proximity to the pool area, there were no issues with noise. This might not be the case on the weekend or mid-summer. The breakfast lady was very friendly. Breakfast itself is the usual included hotel fare. Certainly adequate by any standards. Nothing special but ready, plentiful and fresh. It felt a little disjointed how the food was in one area, the tables in the lounge to eat was in another, and the coffee urns were in the third area that is across from reception. To be fair, this is so much better than during covid when we had a bagged breakfast at most places! The hotel is right beside I-75, but traffic noise was not a big issue. Certainly, convenience works in favor for the location. Besides the discount stores, there are a number of eateries in the area on both sides of the highway with easy access, and a Meijer in very close proximity. I feel very comfortable in saying that I would choose to stay here again.

Staff was very accommodating and attentive. Rooms clean but strange odour. Beds very comfortable. Issue with $100 deposit being credited a week later. Breakfast disappointing. Nice pool but way too much chlorine. My hubbys skin itches for days even though he showered right after.

This is not a good value. While the room was clean, the hallway traffic was very heavy and noisy. Beware they charge a "refundable" security deposit. Almost a week later and I'm still trying to have it "refunded".

Our accommodation was clean and cozy,bed was very comfortable and the room was guiet,the hotel staff was welcoming and helpful.The breafast in the morning was better than donuts and bagles and was well supplied.We will stay here again and our family will camp in Frankenmuth!

My family and I unexpectedly had to book a hotel to be at and we're really thankful this was the hotel we chose. For being a walk in booking they had a perfect room for our needs and was able to accommodate us. We had a very exhausting day and to be somewhere warm and out of the rain was a blessing. Breakfast was until 10am but there were still some people getting breakfast at 10 or a little after so they didn't seem too strict on the time. Our checkout was flawless and quick. Would definitely consider this hotel again.

Although in a decent location the quality of the property was disappointing. The bed sheet was soiled and the room wasn't cleaned once during our 3 night stay so bed not made or towels replaced. Limited options for breakfast and the same every day. The tea/coffee station was away from the food area & did not have milk for teas.

Stayed during the week and it was nice and quiet. Close to Frankenmuth and many other nearby attractions. Breakfast was great before heading out exploring for the day. The guest service crew were super helpful. Definitely will stay again.

Very clean and comfortable room. Only problem was the elevator did not work. The breakfast provided was very good. Glad that the COVID restrictions were not in place. My only serious complaint is the driveway is on a steep hill. Very difficult to make a left turn.

Does not meet up to the Best Western Plus quality. No restaurant or bar. Used to have them and they were great. Pool/hot tub wasn't that clean. Breakfast is alright. Nothing special. Used to go to this place for many years. Not interested in going anymore, unless things change for the better.

3rd time to this hotel in just 9 mos time and something happened (new management?) but the breakfast is WAY better; please keep that up! The cleanliness is better, the staff cleaned up, I noticed more staff and I've always had good service here, I'm bummed to hear others have such bad experiences or maybe some people are just so picky. The pool/hot tub area are very nice, big hot tub too. The lobby is huge with a nice fireplace. The coffee/tea station could be bigger but it's fine. Ice water constantly filled and at hand. The rooms are good sized but I reserve the oversized room for that bay window view. The beds and pillows are comfy. My most recent stay this past weekend was great, my only complaint now is that the restaurant isn't open and this place used to serve alcohol.....that was taken away but are in process of getting new liquor license. We'll be back!

The hotel was affordable,clean, it was quite when we were there. The breakfast was very average. I would stay there again. It was about a 15min drive to Frankenmuth and less then 5min to the outlet shopping.

Stayed here for one night. Guy at check in was polite, elevator is squishy for 3 people and 1 suitcase. Lobby and room seemed updated but hallway was dark and old fashioned. House keeping did a horrible job in the room from previous guests but I'll admit we didn't tell front desk. I opened the blinds, there was half a bottle of pop sitting on the ledge, crumbs on the foot stool, and a gummy bear between chair & night stand. Pool was cold. Parking was good, lots of it. Great location, just off I-75. Close to restaurants/gas stations. Lady at check out was polite but seemed rushed. Price was right though, $100USD for 1 night, for a spacious room. Had a great sleep, couldn't hear noose from other rooms/guests.

There were bugs coming out of the AC and the windowsill. I told the front desk since I noticed around 10pm and the woman there was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. She threw a fit when I asked it to be cleaned saying there were no cleaning crew at the time and she would have to do it herself. I asked for a different room and I got the one next to it. It had it also. I asked for another, It also had them too. I was bewildered. When I told the front desk she said that was all the kings she had. No upgrade to anything that might not have bugs, she just didn't care. I asked her if there was any room that didn't have bugs and she said AND I QUOTE “ I can't walk thru your whole and guarantee there won't be any bugs” WHAT?!?! She didn't even care enough to come see them let alone anything. i did not plan to stay the night that night but every other place in town was closed for the night. I didn't know what kind of bugs so I was scared all night. Breakfast was cold and the staff was standing over us telling us how to take everything. It was unpleasant. OJ was good. back to my room I was changing so I could leave this terrible hotel room. A cleaning crew knocked on my door and invited themself in while I was changing and there was a DND sign on the door. There's a reason for that!! I told them to come back later. I heard a scoff and then they stomped away. I went to the front desk to leave as I got all my things out of the room, and the same desk lady from the night before was there. I told her I wanted out and she told me, “you refused the cleaning crew”. Making it my fault there was bugs?!?! The general manager was professional but also had an attitude. He needs to be more serious about his hotel and he should be more concerned why his employee didn't come and clean the rooms that had bugs in them. I got a refund for only one night that I didn't stay and my security deposit and we left. I mean this. If you're a kid or an adult reading this, DO NOT come to this hotel. This is the worst hotel I've ever been to and no matter what the other reviews say this is seriously a disgusting hotel with terrible condescending rude staff, except the general manager who only had an attitude. Don't give this business any more money or anything. I mean it. I'm not over exaggerating.

13 minutes late for breakfast cut off, unable to get a mouthful of juice for my son to take his medication. Internet is spotty. No maid service. It's a one man show at the front desk. He is great, but needs help. Restaurant is closed-> no liquor license at the hotel-> awaiting one. Hopefully new owners will pull up their boots…. Or this hotel won't be in business long!

If you don't mind touching the person you're sleeping with all night, these beds are great. As soon as you lay down, you immediately slide to the middle of the bed greeting your partner. There is zero support in the middle. I think these may be the original mattresses from the construction of the property. The Wi-Fi is great if you're in the middle of the hotel. However, if your stay is in the outer reaches good luck! You may be able to stay connected for 3 minutes at a time. The hotel itself was clean, and while I realize it is at a lower cost than others in the area it doesn't give carte blanche for substandard beds and wifi.

I made a reservation in late April for a handicap room in early June. I spoke directly with the desk attendant and asked if the hotel would allow me to have a service dog in my room. For all of my hotel reservations, I always make it clear that I need a handicap friendly room with my service dog. She advised me that service animals override the normal pet policy and she was adding a note to the reservation. When I arrived with my walker, the desk clerk informed me that I couldn't have the dog in the handicap room. I asked to speak to the manager over the phone. She said no. I asked if they had a pet friendly room, they did. It was on the 2nd floor in a separate building, accessible only by cement steps, no elevator! Stairs are impossible for me so they canceled my reservation. The hotel made me feel unwelcome and discriminated against for being disabled with a service dog. I only write this now because I was contacted by Best Western about my opinion on several stays at their various hotel locations. I've never had any problems with being handicapped with a service dog at other Best Western+ hotels, only this location.

It was wonderful stay. Frank the concierge was very helpful. My husband forgot his toothbrush and toothpaste and Frank brought it up to us. We had the pool to ourselves. The room was very clean. The breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again

The Overall cleanliness and comfort of the room was very good, breakfast lacked luster- Wi-Fi service left more to be desired. The location is great, easy on and easy off I75- and close to the outlet stores and restaurants.

room was clean. I booked there because of a restaurant and bar. It was closed. If I would have known that, would not of stayed there. Breakfast was not great. Should have had eggs. Sausage was yuck. Not great selection of food. Will never stay there again. Paid extra for balcony. I was on ground floor with two chairs outside. Not a good experience at all. Very very disappointed. You needs to make a bunch of changes to improve things.

Very convenient to I-75 and downtown Frankenmuth. Breakfast options were a little sparse unless you really like biscuits and gravy. Having a balcony was nice with morning and evening breezes. The bulding is aging, although it appears the new owners are making some upgrades and renovations

We had a wonderful experience. Special recognition to Akia and the breakfast lady that was super friendly. The establishment was very clean. Coffee availability and water. Pool was very nice. Overall an excellent stay. Thank you

The website is wrong on many levels, and what it's right on isn't worth it Don't stay here.. there are better options in and around town - and this is coming from a Platinum BW rewards person. Don't expect that reward at check in by the way - I asked and was told "we don't do that" .. If staying for the sleeping - request/demand first floor! As you walk up the stairs you can feel the heat from the lack of AC in the hall. Our room AC did work, however had no chance of cooling the room when "heat rises" and the hall has no AC, so we tossed and turned very uncomfortable due to heat all night. The next morning I asked for a fan for our 2nd night (they have no fans!) They said they'd have maintenance check it out (we asked 2 front desk staff, and yet the upstairs stayed hot so nothing was done). Night 2 was just as bad. Staying for the amenities? ... ... ... Quick review: NO restaurant NO gym (or it's hidden where no one will actually find it) Technically a bar & lounge but it's just physically there, don't expect to get a drink, you can stand at the bar counter though if you're bored and stare at where the drinks would be The website says the pool closes to kids at 11, adult only 11-12 The sign says pool closes at 10 to kids, 10-11 is adult only They close it at 10 and kick you out. So if you go to the 4th of July fireworks thinking you can swim afterwards - you can't. If you question the times, you'll get a snarky "I can keep it open until 10:30 latest that's it!" Staying for free breakfast? Pay elsewhere. Breakfast is 7-10. If you're not down there by 8:30 whatever is gone they do not refill! Day 1 - no toast or pastry options - not a big deal, just ate stale cereal and a sausage patty (they also have biscuits and gravy, that's the extent of "hot breakfast". . Day 2? Toast & sausage gone - they don't refill the sausage after 9am. We know this because day 2 we came down at 9:05 and it was gone . We asked at 9:15 if any more was coming and were told no it's almost 930 (again breakfast is closed at 10) Aside from that, apparently don't stay in the back because the night time check in guy made sure to laugh and mention the fire trucks can't get under an overhang so if any issues from people being locked out on a balcony or if there's a fire, the fire department can't get back there. (Comforting) ...

This property looked ABANDONED upon arrival. Room smelled musty. Mud was smeared on the floor of bathroom. Toilet seat almost fell off. Pool & hot tub area smelled like dog. They didn't tell you about incidentals until you check in.. the guy had to wave mine bc I was already paying high even with paying with points

Hallways smelled of weed, checkin went poorly, took 40 minutes to check into three rooms, all of which already had a reservation on file. P room cards didn't work. No security, outside doors always open.

I paid extra for a suite. we walked into a damp smelling room on the main level and the floor felt like they had thrown carpet over plywood. we didn't use the hot tub because I wasn't sold on the upkeep of the place and I wasn't risking getting into a jet tin that hadn'tbeen cleaned properly. the concept of the room was good, but the "what I got" didn't equal what I paid.

Pros: Comfortable bed. Good breakfast selection. Everything looked clean. Second floor window opened to let in fresh air. Cons: Pillows were the lumpiest I have ever seen, like they were stuffed with pieces of loose foam. The pool was way TOO cold. The hot tub was way TOO HOT. There was someone smoking on our floor. We could smell it in the hallway but not the room, but we had the window open for fresh air.

Only downside to this hotel is the mattress need to be replaced. The staff is excellent, the rooms were clean. We were there because of a Memorial service and the staff was very understanding and compassionate. The breakfast is fair.

GREAT STAY IN THE WHIRLPOOL SUITE! The room was very big, clean and very quiet especially being next to the freeway! Location of the hotel is great as well! Right off the freeway and only a couple minutes from the outlets! Will definitely visit again!

The hotel isn't bad but the cleaning is terrible! The shower had a thick layer of filth from never being fully scrubbed down. The walls in my room were covered in spilled drinks. Found candy along the top of the headboards. Chair in the room was a tattered joke. Elevator wasn't working. The beds aren't very comfortable at all.

Pros, good area, pretty clean, staff was nice. Cons bathroom door knob would lock you in. We dealt with it and reported when leaving. Heater fan sounded like a jet taking off, much of the hotel was pretty dated. Poor lighting in room.

No liquor license No room service cook gave us a hard time when we did order! No table in the room that I requested to play cards on, when I called! Had to play cards in the bar/dining area but no alcohol allowed!

The website and pictures misrepresent this hotel. The hotel is old and out dated with many unit problems. DO NOT travel with a pet as you won't be part of the main hotel. Bathroom was in a closet and freezing cold. Holes in the wall and the bathroom sink is in the main living area. Critters in the ceiling. Staff laughed at me when I complained. Front desk staff yelling at other staff and swearing. The story is too long to place in the allotted space the worst experience EVER!

Im was on a business trip and needed someplace to stay. There is literally not many options around birch run for hotels. Looked at a few different options and decided to stay here. The price was great compared to what other crappier hotels were offering.

The rooms are comfortable for 3 adults.... Continental breakfast included waffles, coffee, juice (apple and orange), yogurt and a breakfast sandwich. Close to shopping and restaurants. just perfect stay

Check in the hall way smelled like musty smell of water. No elevator to our room on the second floor. You did not have to use your room key to even get through their doors to enter the building. So anyone can come right on in there. Did not feel safe here.Not very clean through the hallways and the rooms. I recommend. To to stay. There. Very outdated building.

I got to the bedroom and I had two of the four blankets on the bed that had poop stains on it and some of the lights didn't work. When I brought this up to the staff just got a response that the cleaning crew is out and they handed me new sheets but no comp of the room or transfer to another room. All in all I'm very upset about this location.

This Best Western is right at the Hwy 75 exit, has large comfortable clean rooms with very comfortable beds, and is 5 mins from Birch Run Outlet mall. We are 10 mins from Bronners Christmas store and 15 mins from downtown Frankenmuth. There is plenty of shopping close by and many restaurants choses within 5 mins. The hotel amenities are very good, a comfortable and clean environment.

This hotel was quiet--no highway noise. Everything was clean. Has a nice lobby to visit with family or friends. They also have handicapped rooms, which my sister used. Would definitely stay here again when we are in Frankenmuth.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Comfortable beds and rooms. The hotel was spotless even in the aftermath of a loss of electricity crisis for 4 days. Michelle, the manager, felt like a friend. We laughed and commiserated over a couple of "difficult" callers that she received about an event being held near the hotel.

Great location. Close to Outlet stores at Birch Run, Frankenmuth, Tony's restaurant, fast food, Meijer, Dollar Tree and freeway. Indoor pool is small and shallow but the hot tub was nice. Will stay again!

We traveled to the area to have dinner at Zhenders, shop at Bronners and explore downtown Frankenmuth. The hotel room was very comfortable, the pool was great and the building smelled and looked very clean. We felt safe and comfortable staying there and it was a great value!

We will never stay here again. We went in at 4pm when you can check in and she told us our room wouldn't be ready for at least another hour so we were nice about it and told her we would go shopping while waiting for the room to be ready even though it should have already been ready. Then when we finally got into the room it was disgusting. There was candy behind the table and crumbs. We had also come for a romantic weekend and the bath tub had old flower petals in it. There was no toilet paper or tissues in the bathroom so I called down to get some and they said I would have to go down and get it because nobody would bring it to me. In the middle of the night there was an animal scratching on the outside of the shower and kept us up all night. It was awful. So much for romantic weekend. Next year we will stay somewhere else.

My wife and I try to get away a couple times a year to recharge this was not relaxing. They asked me if i wanted 2nd or 3rd floor after i said second they suck my on the 3rd floor without discussing it with me with no elevator we had to walk 2 flights of stairs anytime we wanted to go out my knees are still aching. and then the first night we had some kind of critter making noise in the attic above the bathroom and they shrugged it off like i was lying. So my wife and I left early and they would not refund the second night stay. I will never stay here again and neither will anyone i know if i can help it

If I could give zero stars I would. This hotel has bedbugs. My husband and I stayed here the night of June 11 and 12th 2021. My husband was bit by bedbugs and the bites were in a lined up fashion which the hotel manager confirmed that those were bedbug bites. I personally called the hotel and spoke to a manager about my complaint and they said they would call me back to resolve the issue but they never did. I also contacted best Western customer service but they chose to ignore my complaint. Do not stay here unless you want to come back to your home with bedbugs. I've been a best Western customer for about 15 years and I could not have been more disappointed. Take your money somewhere else where the business is appreciated. Go somewhere where they actually clean and sanitize the rooms. This location does not value their customers and they make a joke out of you. After 3 weeks, i have NOT heard from management , not a word, nithing, nada!!!!

I called several days ahead of time to confirm my room type and reserve a roll away bed. Got to the hotel, no roll away because they are all taken by other guests and was informed it was against fire code to put a roll away in the room type I reserved. Even though I specifically called earlier in the week to confirm we could fit a pack n play and roll away in that room type. So we were literally downgraded to a smaller/worse room with beds so small my husband and I can't even sleep in the same bed. Typically you would expect to be upgraded when the hotel makes such a huge blunder. But no, not here. We are now crammed into a horrible room with tiny beds. Not to mention, it's dirty. We found a kids toy, the previous inhabitants hair accessories on the counter, spider everywhere in the bathroom, it smells like smoke (which I heard other guests complaining about the smoke smell in their room), and there's not even a toilet paper roll holder. The next morning our toilet started to overflow. We reported it and asked them to address and sanitize it while we were out that day. Got back 6 hours later to a plunger in the shower, sewer water on the floor, and a toilet still overflowing. The front desk staff only gave me attitude when I went to complain and ask for a new room. They tried to tell me there were no rooms available and they refused to issue me a refund until I started to raise my voice so the entire lobby could hear that they were trying to force us to sleep in a room that would likely violate so many health codes. They begrudgingly put us in a new room. But still no apology. No discounts or free drink offers at the bar. Nothing. I've never encountered a place with absolutely no customer service. They literally do not care if you have a bad experience or if their rooms apparently have sewer water on the floor.

I stayed at the Birch Run Best Western and was extremely disappointed. The staff was terribly disrespectful, the room was uncleanly, the pool was disgusting and the hotel seems to attracts a criminal element. When these issues were addressed with management they had nothing but excuses and were unreceptive to the issues that took place. Additionally they neglected to provide any resolution. Stay away from this hotel!

Please I ignored the few bad reviews DONT do it worst mistake I have made if you're okay sleeping with bed bugs, having a hostile staff who won't help with any problems, sleeping in filth then this is your hotel. On top of that whoever cleans the pool does not know how to maintain water it was so cloudy and the spa smelled horrible. The only good thing about this place was the restaurant. The hotel pictures lie about everything seriously pay the extra 50$ at any other hotel and save yourself the worry. The worst part was I had proof of the bed bugs and the staff wouldn't even change my room or offer me a discount or a refund. Please listen to this review so you don't make the same mistake I did.

Our room was very clean and the bed was extra comfy. Understaffing was evident. Breakfast options were very limited. I had to request yogurt and the fruit cup was small and consisted of canned fruit. There were no fresh fruit options. I expected a bit more of a BW PLUS.

It was good to see the folks at the Best Western at Birch Run (home of a large outlet mall) were able to keep the lights on during our year from hell stay away from everybody. They still don't have their Awesome Breakfast buffet back, but I figure with Summer just getting started, & things Just Starting to pick up, they will. We're just glad they survived! it is a comfortable place, sit on your balcony & enjoy the breeze, & the shade of the mature trees & lawn & listening to the birds. It doesn't get any better!

Perfect stay experience. Check in was simple even though I didn't already have a book stay online. Staff was very friendly. Room was of top quality and very clean. Was overall a comfortable stay. I am very pleased and would definitely stay there again.

Loved how the room looked. The bed was very comfortable and the room was big enough for a place to put my babies pack n play in. The bed was big enough for us all. We can't wait to come back again and stay again.We all enjoyed our stay.

The night front desk clerk was rude and dismissive of my wife's concerns regarding the pool capacity and enforcing their time slot policy. Breakfast was a bag lunch style, nothing to write home about.

The website needs to be updated. The website said 2 bars, a restaurant and a full breakfast. None of this is true.bars are both closed, so is the restaurant, the breakfast was a grab and go. The room was dirty. Window had lip and finger prints on them. Bed coverings were dirty also had hair on them. Table tops were sticky. I am sure Covid procedure were not followed. The owner was notified the next morning, that we were not happy, she never apologized. She blamed everything on the Michigan governor. The governor was not in charge of cleaning! Everything is opened in Frankenmuth Mi! Why not in Birch Run Mi? Disgust and very disappointed!

This hotel is in bad need of repair. Our room smelled like smoke that was covered by air freshener. We had no soap, shampoo, conditioner, or toilet paper in our room. Staff replaced when notified. I would have liked a different room, but was told they were full. Sure did look like it from the parking lot. Our TV was green, and was told they knew about it but didn't know how to fix it and didn't have any extra tv's. The walls are very thin and could hear everything around us ALL night. The staff helped as much as possible.

Loved the location, close to Frankenmuth and Tonys on I-75. The courtyard king room was nice with patio. Tv options weren't that great. Service was interrupted for a bit. Too bad we didn't get to enjoy the breakfast that they normally have. Covid precautions were in place.

Our room was wonderful. This is why I'm giving this 4 stars and not 2. It was very clean and comfortable and the bed was one of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in. The bathroom was lit well and very clean. I felt safe and comfortable. However, the rest of the hotel needed some work. There were many broken/missing fixtures and bad lighting and a missing smoke detector. Also, the woman at the front desk was not wearing a mask despite the many signs saying guests were required to wear masks and employees would all be wearing personal protective equipment.

Room was not cleaned prior to our stay. Bodily fluid stain on floor by bed. Candle wax lining the hot tub. Food scraps left on seat and floor. Over half electricity in room was out. No credits or refund offered. Will not come back!

We really needed to get away for a few days and Best Western made it so easy, safe and comfortable..Thank You. Close to restaurants, shopping and Frankenmuth shopping and restaurants. We love this location and have stayed here before. We will be back

First trip during covid. Very strange not seeing any one. When my husband did encounter 3 staff while loading luggage into our car, not one person acknowledged him. It was rather a surreal stay, and just saying good morning would have helped.

Great location for visiting the Frankenmuth/Birch Run area. We were just minutes away from restaurants and shopping. First hotel since the pandemic began that we stayed at that offered an individually wrapped hot breakfast option. Also discovered that the pool and bar were open with safety protocols in place. Staff was courteous and helpful throughout our stay.

Covid has caused a lot of problems, I understand, but this hotel was filthy. A comforter on one of beds had a nasty stain that looked like human excrement. The carpet had a huge stain just inside the door. The bed I slept in was broken down. The mattress should have been replaced 5 years ago. THere were bugs in the room; spiders and webs in the bathroom and a spider in my daughter's bed. No tub for kids to bathe in. Breakfast was a joke. There was NO milk for kids and the only option was waffles or toast. No cereal, no muffins, no fruit. Completely ridiculous. Creamer clearly stated "keep refrigerated" but it was left out in a bowl without ice or any way to keep cool. Will NOT stay at this hotel again. Will go back to the Hampton where we know it's nice and clean.

The good: Room was very clean, water pressure was great, shower heads were high enough for a tall person, balcony was big with chairs, front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable and clean, furniture was dated but in good condition and clean. Very close to the outlets and Frankenmuth. The bad: balconies REEK of cigarettes, if you open your door, the smell is overwhelming even if nobody is out there smoking. The bathrooms are tiny, like clown car tiny. The shower curtain was about a foot too short to close all the way. Towels were a step above sandpaper. The ugly: I say this with a concession that all businesses are struggling with how to deal with restrictions covid is putting on them. Breakfast was straight up awful. Rubbery pre-made waffles, fruit loops marshmallow treats, crappy looking fruit, and something in a cup that was pasty and doughy. I honest to God am pissed that I paid more for a place that offered breakfast. We stayed in a hotel three weeks ago, paid the same, and got a hot fresh breakfast.

I called the Best Western Hotel directly to book a room with BEST WESTERN. When I checked in I was told my room was in the back building. I became suspicious when I saw a sign for another hotel with exterior corridors. This room is terrible (225) I tried both mattresses , they both contained big depressions. The room smells because people are smoking outside on the exterior corridor which is one reason why I never book such a room. The other is safety. I called the front desk to complain about the room. The lady at the front desk informed me that the owner owns both hotels but Best Western would not allow her to brand the back hotel as BW because of the work that had to be done. "We share the same front desk." If you are running two hotels you should have different phone numbers and answer them accordingly. When I called, the person answered "BW". I was led to believe I was booking BW room. The other odd thing is that they are using BW keys and some branding in this room. If I could leave now I would but am stuck until 8:15 am due to hours of service, can't move until then . In all of my reviews I have only given one other 1 star. This gets my second 1 star review because of the deceptive "bait and switch" and the lousy conditions of both mattresses. Geez people come to hotels to get a nights rest. The least one can do is to provide a decent mattress.

went to Frankenmuth for a family wedding and stayed at this best Western as I have done at least once a year. Everything was great except this particular weekend they had a wedding party that got outta control and my bathroom had some things that need attention.

The room was not vacuumed, there was a sheet of paper on the crease of the chair. There was even a coffee stirer under the mattress. The elevator is scary. When it stops on the 2nd flood, there's a violent drop. When we went back to the first floor, the door didn't open. Breakfast is minimum which is understand in these times. Their industrial toaster/roller is set way too high and burnt our toast. Nobody available to reset the machine. I have stayed at this location 3 other times with no issues.

This motel was updated in the past year. The lobby looks fantastic. It has comfortable seating, a fireplace, and a lounge. The rooms was large very comfortable too. The only areas of improvement would be the poor lightening above the vanity and having only one elevator, which was located at the other end of the building. So, we had to lug our bags up the stairs in order to park close to the room. Also, the lobby and hallways appeared to not have central A/C, The Magnuson is actually part of the same motel. They branched off because Best Western is apparently no longer allowing motor lodge type buildings to affiliate with them. As the desk clerk told me, the rooms in those buildings are older, not up-to-date, and are more on an economy level. This was the only motel under $100 in Birch Run and Frankenmuth during July 4th weekend that would be in or above the “enhanced budget” tier. It was a really good value, and I would stay again.

We stay here every year while in the area for a softball tournament. Rooms are good, staff is friendly, and the courtyard area is great to gather with firends. Rooms in the same building as the lobby are nicer than the ones across the parking lot. They are more spacious and include a microwave & refrigerator.

This is a good hotel with really nice and friendly employees. My stay was good and I chose to stay here for my Birthday. Whatever mattress they have in their beds it's super comfy and puts you right to sleep

Overall this was a nice place to stay. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The linens were in short supply as it was packed that weekend. We didnt use the pool or hot tub during our stay due to our own choice.

Not nearly as nice as most of the Best Western Plus's we have stayed in. Pillows were only half size, only one garbage in the whole suite, toilet was in the middle of the bathroom floor and you could hardly open and close the door because of that. Pool area was over crowded, so we weren't able to use the pool or hot tub.

The hotel looks better on the inside. The lobby area is very modern. The lounge area was very inviting. We had the pizza, and it was the best. The room felt a little crowded, and we had the oversized room. It was just a bay type window with a chair in the corner. Big windows, lots of light. The pool was ALOT smaller than it looks in the pictures. There were several families in it while we were there, so we were unable to use the pool area. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. The only downfalls are the elevator is super small and makes a loud bang when it goes up- which was super scary; the floors in the hallways seemed to be hollow, and you could hear alot of noise.

Check in was easy and quick. Once we recieved our room key we checked out our room and found it to be exactly what we wanted. It was clean and roomy enough for our needs. We had dinner at the restaurant and the service was excellent and the food was the same. We used the pool and hot tub and both were clean and available. The ceiling above the pool could use some looking into but other than that all was okay.

We chose this location because it was conveniently located on our path northward. We were so pleased that it turned out to be one of the best BW properties we have every stayed in. It was clean a, newly renovated room, and a good night's rest, a nice dip in the enclosed pool, and a very nice breakfast served in the café area in house. The breakfast was very good, and the service even better with the very attentive staff.

A friend and I stayed for 2 nights for some R&R. Hot tub did not work properly. We had 3 spiders living in our room. 2 in bathroom the other in corner by heating unit. Still charged full price after informing clerk.

The room was exactly as you would expet from Best Western meaning a quality, clean and omfortable room. It also had a desk and a refrigerator which by the way can and will keep anything you've got very cold and my apple juice slushy and you can't get any better than that. Coffee a plenty in the common lobby sitting area as well as the room makes for excellent comfort not to mention the WARM breakfast buffet that I can find no fault in at all and frankly it surpassed all my expectations. The stafee: The reception personnel were warm kind and I will remember them because they engaged in small talk exchange which meant they cared how things were. Then there are the 2 maintenance workers ( Joe & John )who I hope enjoy the little gifts I lfet them simply because they were so friendly, kind, warm, hgenerous and PATIENT. They both wore smiles of sincereity during my stay and I herewith Thank them ALL.

This updated motel was very impressive in looks and service. The restaurant/lounge in the motel was so convenient after traveling all day. Bed was comfortable and the shower pressure strong. Clean room, friendly staff, and good food.

1) Toilet would not flush upon check-in to our room. Called the front desk they would send someone to fix it. 2) We went out and did shopping, came back and the toilet worked ONCE. 3) Fight at the bar and the wait staff sided with the other party when we witnessed the entire thing. 4) Called the front desk at 1:30am to let them know and request a plunger. Over an hour later no plunger, and no toilet facility in our room with a sick child. 5) Manager, would only discount 15% 6) Definitely will NOT be back

We arrived at night when it was kind of dark, and it was somewhat difficult to find the driveway that led up to the hotel which was a little ways off the road, and because of that, I had an uneasy feeling about the hotel . That was quickly dispelled once we entered the lobby and saw the inside. It was very welcoming , especially the front desk staff and the lounge area. A nice touch that I haven't noticed at other hotels, was the selection of books in the bookcases located in the lounge area. Our room was nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Our breakfast experience was made so much better by the kind, courteous, helpful efforts of Carol and Cheryl! That just goes to show you, the truth of the adage, "You can't always judge a book by its cover"!

We always stay at this Best Western because they are so nice and accommodating. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Restaurant/Lounge food was excellent and large portions. Great value for the money. Didn't use pool or exercise room so cannot comment on those. We love that it is so close to Outlet Mall and also just a short drive to Frankenmuth.

I would and have returned to this Beat Western location. I am a member but I would stay here regardless of that. My husband and I stayed to shop at Birch Run and visit Frankenmuth. Great location for both. The breakfast is good and nice lounging area for all ages. I rather the children didn't run around but an all around good time.

Once again we had a great stay at the Best Western Birch Run Michigan . The staff were extremely friendly and helpful , the rooms very clean and well stocked with the necessary items , and the breakfast was excellent . a large selection of foods , fresh and kept stocked

room was clean - had to ask to have toilet fixed - and even after asking it was still not fixed - don't appreciate having to stick our hands in the back of toilet in the middle of the night before we flush

We have been staying here for about 5 years now. It's perfect. It's about a 10 minute drive to Frankenmuth. The staff is always very friendly. The food is great... especially the pizza!! We always are satisfied with our stay

The rooms are expensive yet comparable to the area and time of year, however they are showing their age and were not cleaned well. Housekeeping didn't even remove used glassware after the first night. Pool area looked old and run down.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We arrived about11 pm, exhausted after an international flight. We were greeted warmly and offered a choice of rooms at either of the hotels on site. The room we received was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. In the morning we went to the main building for breakfast. The buffet was more extensive than most inexpensive hotels. There was visible wait staff that poured coffee and got drinks for you. They couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant! There is also coffee available all day which was a nice touch. Overall this is a great spot to stay and WW will be back!

The coffee area didn't have hot chocolate, but one of the front desk staff shared his "stash" with me, which was very sweet. It would have been nice if there were discounts available for Zehnders and other business, like the BW Dockside, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Never stayed in hotel/motel with such poor and limited TV selection. We are older and watch a lot of evening news and movies. The selection was awful and the staff indicated they have regular complaints about this. But the owner/ manager refuses to do anything about it. Need to address please and let me know it has been fixed so we can come there again sometime. It was unacceptable!

The hotel was very clean very nice staff. The rooms was very nice neat and clean. I would come back when next time need a little vacation from home. If you want the price you pay for this is the hotel to go.

I have been staying at this hotel several times a year quite a few years. It is a better value than anywhere around the area. Quiet. Clean. Out of the way. Friendly. Down to earth. Always a great experience.

This is a very nice hotel. Very good food and service. The pool area was very cold due to a problem with the ventilation but the pool water was warm. The hot tub jets did not work but the water was very hot.

This is my go-to hotel when I travel to the Frankenmuth/Birch Run area which is usually at least once every two years. You get the best value for your money and it is central to all shops and attractions. I bring my mum with me on most trips and we have a great time. I also have a girls weekend away and we all have a blast. When I plan my trips everyone always says lets go back to the Best Western Plus. Food/Drink/Amenities/Room get an A from me.

great stop for food and comfortable rooms. 6 friends stop here on annual visit to central Michigan for golf weekend. All the shopping you could want right next door at Birch Run. Hotel upgrade in 2019 and very clean.

Great stay over the weekend of oct 11th til oct 13th. Staff was excellent and the room was big, clean and comfortable. Right off the highway and really close to the outlet mall in Birch Run. Very close to the Frankenmuth village.

We just got home from our stay of 2 nights here. We had an absolute fantastic time. Our room was perfect, clean, everything we needed. The staff was great, always making sure we had everything we needed. The lounge area was very good, great food and nice place to have some drinks and play dice or cards. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because their is no transportation in the area to get around if you don't want to drive. The city has no taxis, no lyft, no Uber, no public transportation. Of course this isn't the hotel fault but it does limited you when you are staying there. However we managed and we would definitely return to this hotel.

A older property that has been remodeled. Staff is the best very attentive. The breakfast was very good and the area was clean. The hotel has restaurant on site and many restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay again when in area

We have stayed at many hotels and a large number have been best western plus. They failed us this time. Went by reviews and took a chance. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Must be management! On checking in we were not told we would have to climb two sets of stairs and a small set. We are on an extensive road tour and have considerable luggage, plus elderly. There is an elevator to second floor, then walk across whole hotel to stairs to room. Thought maybe worth it if room was nice. Not so much. Room was huge, poorly laid out. Dark, dismal with very small window. Bed was comfortable, had a reasonable chair. Bedding was “ok” but pillows lumpy. No luggage racks or benches. Very poor use of space and no place to put anything. Bathroom was hilarious, a very long thin room (the size of at least three normal bathrooms) but only had a toilet on one end and a stand up shower at other. No chair, bench anything. Literally you could dance and a wash cloth. When asked for an extra tie in bathroom. Dull lighting! The room had not been vacuumed or cleaned well at all. Two bath towels, a hand towel and wash cloth. When asked housekeeping for an extra towel I was told no one per person. The breakfast had lots of issues, too much prepared ahead and nasty from sitting. Eggs seemed like from powder, canned soggy fruit, sweet roles undercooked etc. Best Western executives need to pay a visit! Time to go back to Hilton or Marriot

Great staff and Breakfast was out of this world.... We stayed in A newly renovated room it was nice but small bathroom. Houskeeping could be better as well. I would stay here but not for the money we spent think they are a bit over priced rooms are small.

We have stayed more than once, first time out of necessity, second time wanted to give a second chance. We found it to be the bare minimum in stay. Both times we had unclean bathroom with issues - first time drippy shower, second time loose toilet, finish peeling from tub, and drippy faucet. Basically wanted the free breakfast. Issue with that - no drinks available unless waitress helps you. She never came to us. Dining area got crowded really quickly, and seemingly with people who had no idea they were in a public place.

The rooms have been updated and are comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we have had at any hotel. Staff were friendly and courteous. Bathroom was very small and the sink was outside the washroom which we didn't like.

Actually enjoyed staying here staff was extremely helpful and liked the older and updated interior of the hotel plus it's right next to the highways. Only downside is bed could be more comfortable and room I had was to close to the entertainment room

Reading through the many reviews it's pretty obvious they're all over the spectrum from great review to terrible. I thought I would offer a review on our (wife and myself) experience. First thing we noticed was the personable, efficient and friendly Jessica who greeted us and handled our check-in. Our room was perfectly clean and of good size to spread out and relax. That evening we had what Jessica recommended -- the pizza -- at The Fireside Lounge and it was absolutely off the charts great! Thanks Jessica! The next morning we tried the free breakfast. It too was very good. Hot and yummy and plenty of choices -- not a "continental breakfast" which is usually nothing but coffee, juice and a sweet roll, but a full spread of sausage, bacon, potatoes, etc. We are going back this weekend and Jessica was kind enough to reserve us the same room we were so pleased with on our last visit. Yes, this is a pet friendly hotel and I've noticed that one review was from someone who brought their pet but then complained that they could tell the room had had a pet in it previously...hmm. Tough to keep your cake and eat it too. ha ha

The employees at Best Western are extremely helpful and friendly. The food is very good and the atmosphere is wonderful! I would say that I feel they are a little pricey during event weekends; however, I don't mind paying a little more when I am getting great service. I would recommend to anyone.

Stayed in a handicap accessible room with a roll in shower. I am an amputee and require a shower not a tub. The hotel furnished a very flimsy plastic shower chair that the snap on legs came apart and I fell in the shower. There is no soap dish or shower wand. Would not stay there again unless the facilities are updated and made safe.

We had a great time at a clean hotel with great support team. Checkin, lounge, dining room, hotel room were all great and staff was polite and friendly. Staff was willing to do more than their own role.

My room was dirty as the carpet was not cleaned from other animals and it smelled bad. It was mentioned to the front desk and they offered no other options or discount. I had to put sheets on the floor so we would not step on the stains.

Great place for our family to stay while we were in town. It's our go to hotel for when we are in town, the same faces for the last couple of years which translates to a friendly atmosphere. We will be back again

this was the first time in over 25 years that i was disgusted with this hotel. there was hair in the tub, dirt on the bathroom floor and peanuts on the chair in the room. this hotel was a plus and i expected better room cleanliness. the price of the room was overpriced because it was labor day weekend. for this value it was rated poorly.

Hotel location was great. Close to attractions we wanted. Front desk staff was great room was great For the bad hot tub is just got water. Jets hasn't worked for a long time and was told they do not plan on fixing. Breakfast was not so hot this time. Eggs were a powder and not mixed properly, had a mouthful of powder. What was mixed was severely undercooked

We recently stayed for one night while visiting the Birch Run/Frankenmuth area. The location is convenient as it is close to the birch run outlets and about 8-9 minute drive into Frankenmuth. We had a first floor courtyard room. It was clean and roomy size wise. We were travelling with our young daughter and appreciated the courtyard outdoor seating where we had a night cap once our daughter went to bed. The pool could use some cleaning and upgrading. Parking is onsite and convenient. The buffet breakfast was good and the server who was working was pleasant and attentive. Over all I would stay again if travelling in the area.

Stayed here for 1 night while travelling through Michigan. Visited Frankenmuth and Outlet Mall. Close and convenient. Good value ( price ) at this property. Room was clean although A/C was a bit noisy like a jet plane taking off. Ate at the on site restaurant - also good value since we were tired and didn't want to leave to find someplace else. Small fitness center but equipment adequate and in nice shape. Would recommend and stay here again while passing through

Room was very nice, very clean and very cute. However to get to it you have to climb two flights of stairs for the second suite! There is no elevator! Before you reserve the jacuzzi room call the hotel and request bottom suite if you have problems getting upstairs!!!

The 1st room we had was not clean. They did switch us rooms and the 2nd one was cleaner. The pool was not very warm so my 5yr couldn't stay in long at all. Also the pool bottom needs to be fixed the coating is coming off and it's feels like gritty sand sitting on the bottom.

Hotel was recently remodeled. Room was spacious and very clean. Hot breakfast was good. Good variety of items to eat. All day coffee in lobby. The only thing I wanted that they didn't have was brewed decaf coffee. They only had instant decaf (not very good). BW employees very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. My friends and I will be coming to this hotel again.

Pool is not even close to the pictures. Place was clean, food was good, pizza excellent. the room was nice but poorly designed(bathroom sink was in the entrance to the room area) with very poor lighting. Passports were removed from room sometime between check in and checkout and when Police arrived the suddenly appeared SCARY. Location was very good but no written information on places to go or things to see in lobby.

Extremely happy with our rooms; decor and location! We were above the fitness room and had no one else around which was extremely nice. All staff were friendly especially the maintenance guy! Would definitely recommend.

stayed the 30 and 31 of July at the Best Western Birch Run. Right by Premium outlet mall Birch Run and Frankenmuth !! Room was nice and they have a bar and restaurant on side. We ate at the restaurant and the food was awesome! Great tasting and lots of it plus a free drink complimentary ! Lots of choice in breakfast included in the room. We would definitely stay here again !

Closest Best Western to Frankenmuth. We try to always stay at B/W Hotels for vacations and this one is just as nice as they all are. Frankenmuth is amazing. Definitely worth a drive from Western New York. Spent four days in the area and we still didn't get to do everything. Room was nice and clean, breakfast and wait staff were wonderful as always.

Enjoyed our stay at the Birch Run Best Western. Room was newly remodeled. Check in and out was simple and fast. Jessica and Autumn at the front desk were both very nice and helpful. Kim at the bar and Lana at the breakfast were both great too! This will definitly be our hotel choice when we come to Birch Run. Thanks for a great stay!

Visited this location and hotel immediately placed a charge on credit card which is acceptable. Days later hotel continued to charge my card various amounts ranging from $10, $50 and etc. while charge was placed not a hold confirmed with cc company. Called and spoke with female who states she's the supervisor/ manager and she would handle and call me back. It's been 12 days and I'm still awaiting the return call I was promised. Definitely overpriced with a lot of competition around. You can do better than this Best Western. Good customer service is priceless.

We have stayed here every time we are in the area for an event. Kim, our server at the bar/lounge is amazing! Quick and incredibly friendly service always. The General Manager Peter is very welcoming and friendly. Love our chats with him. The rooms are spotless and the beds are extremely comfortable. The incredible staff and management, clean, comfortable rooms, delicious food in the lounge and a nice offering of amenities makes this the best hotel in Birch Run....actually it's the best that I have stayed at in Michigan. We are looking forward to returning next year!!

was not good. Didn't get the room I reserved & paid for. Had stated if no elevator we needed to b on the ground floor. got put originally on the 2nd floor with no elevator up to the 2nd floor. A maid helped us carry our bags up to the 2nd floor only to find out the room was not ready yet. I'm a rewards member & couldn't even get upgraded to a larger room on the courtyard. I had booked a courtyard room. Needless to say there r some problems that need to b taken care of b4 I would stay there again. I had booked for 3 nights approx. 2 months earlier.

There were many bugs in our room that night (spiders, flies, beetles, and a roach in the bed)! In addition, the floors were not at all clean. It was disgusting! We will not be staying at this Best Western motel again!

At check in, I asked for upgrade and Autumn's exact words were "we are all sold out of courtyards". So I took a regular room, went on computer and found that Autumn had not been truthful. When I called she said that she said there were no KIng courtyards available. But that is NOT what she said. The room they gave us had an air conditioner that sounded like a jet taking off. Maintenance came and said it was working fine. NO! So they moved us to another same size room. I really fail to understand why Best Western would want to upset a Diamond Select guest. Seems it would be better to make a guest that stays in hotels 100 nights a year happy rather than pinch pennies by not giving an upgrade. Upgrade is all Best Western has to offer their loyal guests, it is not like they have an executive lounge with free food and drinks. I see no point in staying at Best Western when they obviously do not care about a Diamond member. Not sure if the check in clerk makes the decisions on her own, or if general manager tells them not to upgrade. I had a bad experience last year at another Best Western, so decided not to try much this year, now I probably wont stay at Best Western at all. I have lots of choices.

Just completed a Travel Weekend. 3 Best Western Hotels in 3 nights! And the surprise of them all was the one at Birch Run, MI! I made the reservation here because I knew we would be needing to find lodging within commuting distance to the VA Hospital/Clinic in Saginaw. We were returning home from a trip East for a family gathering. It was fifteen miles south of Saginaw, and across the interstate from the large Outlet Mall just off I-75. Lots of Canadians come to it for the variety of stores, etc. There are a number of places to stay around there. It is in the process of getting its spring paint & pretty up (this spring Mother Nature was off her Prozac - the weather was NOT cooperating for outside painting & primping). But it did not affect us in any way. We were not dodging ladders or anything. We drove up to the entrance, & went to the desk to be greeted warmly & told that as a BW rewards member I just got a bunch of points added to my account because they have a promotion going on. [AND FYI their points do NOT disappear after a year as others do] I liked that. Next I"m told their restaurant is open for dinner from 4 to 10 & here are two coupons for a free libation with our dinner. We were given our keys & the desk person told me the best way to park so I'd be closest to my room. When we got there we were amazed at the room which we entered from an inside hall. It had an outside door opening onto a Courtyard (pet free zone - safe to walk in your bare feet) where last evening, the warm temperature made it a lovely place to sit outside, enjoy a cold drink & feel the gentle breeze wafting through the trees. After driving for eight hours, it was just SO relaxing. I sat for a while & decided to go find the Pool &Hot Tub. It wasn't far from our room. I sampled the pool, but was really ready to go wallow in the hot tub. I did! Oh how that water soothed my aching muscles & I was refreshed. The Breakfast buffet was marvelous. Okay, there were Sausage patties (turkey - healthy), Ham & pineapple, potatoes, eggs, fresh made pancakes & waffles, biscuits & gravy & toast, bagels, English muffins all on the hot bar. On the cold bar were a whole bunch of cereal choices, & more, but I really didn't look at it too closely, I went after the ham & eggs. then 'round the corner to the restaurant area where the juices & hot beverages were waiting on the bar. Wait staff was there in case you needed anything. I particularly loved the chilled water with fresh lemons & limes in it. The ambiance and amenities we found here were what I'd expect from the high dollar chains. Best Westerns have always been well respected & clean places. This one advertises itself as Best Western PLUS Birch Run/Frankenmuth. They definitely are a PLUS! If you're coming to Michigan for our Outlet Mall, or Frankenmuth & the Bronner Christmas Experience, stay here. You'll be glad you did!

We booked a room for Independence Day. The front desk clerks were busy doing other things than assisting guests with check in/check out. The food from the restaurant was horrible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ROOM SERVICE. The air conditioning in the room did not work properly. The room did not look like it was cleaned throughly.

For starters, My husband is a first responder and give discounts which is why we decided to book with them. We made a change to our reservation a couple of days before check-in, and that's when the problems started. We were told that upon check-in, with proper ID, we will be given the first responders rate of $149, plus taxes and fees. I was assured this wouldn't be an issue, that this is standard operating procedure. But sure enough, upon check-in, they told us that the best rate they could do was $179, down $10 from the "original price". With some more back and forth, we finally agree on their "best price". We get to this dingy, dark room, with gross, old carpet and I already have a sense of unease. Three kids in tow who are tired - whatever. We open the fridge to find old and moldy BW3's from the previous guests, which now has our room smelling terrible. We tried to call the front desk to complain (and get more towels and washrags) and the phone doesn't work. Neither does the internet for that matter, so they had some sort of technical issue going on. So we go to the pool while our room airs out. Pool is small, dark and water is questionable. Complained to the hotel about the room and old garbage in the fridge and was given an apology. We woke up early the next day for a baseball tournament and find a large pee stain on the bottom of the comforter. It was at the bottom of the comforter, toward the floor, which is why we missed it the night before (picture). We complained when we checked out and the man apologized when I showed him the picture but said there was not much he could do but offer us 10% off. We skipped the breakfast nice they can't even keep the rooms clean I doubt very seriously about the cleanliness of the their kitchen, and left. Needless to say, I would spend the extra $20 or whatever a night and go somewhere else.

I'm am so glad I found a great hotel my husband and I to stay for our anniversary! We really like the hotel and recommend it to anyone. Service was great! Room was great! Breakfast was awesome! Everything was great!!! Thank you again for your awesome staff during our stay!

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Visiting Frankenmuth area, as I try to use Best Western as much as possible, this was fairly convenient as it close to the I-75 exit. Did have a problem with a clogged toilet, bur was fixed fairly quickly.

Great renovation. Very comfortable beds. Two chairs in the room would be nice. Close to Frankenmuth and close to Outlet Stores. Just off I 75. Many restaurants near by but hotel has a bar and restaurant that is good too. Will be back.

We spent two nights here while we visited Frankenmuth. It is a little out of the way, but is convenient to the freeway and gas stations. The place was very nice. It was clean, well kept and up to date and the beds were comfortable. The price was reasonable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. This is one of the few Best Westerns that offer food for sale in the evening. We did not take advantage of that but the selection looked fairly good and the prices were OK. The breakfast in the morning was typical Best Western hot/cold buffet. Not the best food in the world, but more than enough to fill you up for free and without having to go somewhere else. We would be happy to stay at this hotel again in the future.

I love this Hotel. Everyone that work's there are amazing. I had my 1yr great-niece with me and they all just fell in love with her. She had a blast. Thank you guy's. We will be back again very soon!!

The front desk people were extremely nice, took care of us quickly and we had a nice clean room on second floor. there was plenty of parking and they separated the animal friendly rooms from the rest of the rooms, which was good for me, with allergies. Room had small fridge and microwave. Great location easy access to main roads.

Upgrades to hotel are excellent. Big change from last time there a couple of years ago. Duty front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast food very good other people around seem to enjoy other hotel meals.

"Wesley and Peter from Birch Run Best Western were wonderful hosts. After being denied reservations at another Best Western establishment (FLINT Mi.) with our service dog. We called BW 1-800 customer service agent Yvonne who worked with Wesley and Peter to accommodate us. Upon our arrival, Wesley and Peter were very welcoming and hospitable. As a Diamond Select member I frequent many BW establishments, none have been more hospitable than Birch Run. Rooms were nicely renovated, food was excellent and relaxing in the Fireside Lounge. Only downside was the washroom in our room was a bit small but overall the room was very comfortable and the welcoming pleasant staff made a great way to end a long day of travelling. A very warm Thank you to the staff at Birch Run. Keep up the excellent service and looking forward to our next visit with you."

I love the front desk and lounge people. They are always so pleasant and helpful. Birch Run Best Western is our favorite. They have great pizza and sunrise bread. The hotel is recently remodeled and all around great place.

Seems like it's the local party place. Room was not well cleaned when we arrived. Made a claim to front desk about a maintenance issue and it took them till 5pm the next day. Pool was past capacity and nothing done about it when reported and people were drinking and partying it up there. All night people were partying and banging on windows and screaming from 11pm-3am both nights. Website claims hotel went through renovations and I saw no signs of that. Carpet was sticky and stained beds were uncomfortable and springy. Probably the worst experience I've had at a hotel.

Reserved an INTERIOR King room w/courtyard view/access. This is the area of rooms updated. there is a 2nd motel on same property, not a best western property and cheaper fees. These are not updated. One door to the inside main building and one door to balcony or patio area. We had room 145, larger end room with more privacy on the patio. And inside its right by the pool. Room was nice, very firm and comfy bed. Only 1 chair besides computer chair, would of liked more seating options. Breakfast was a typical buffet, some things good, some bland or slightly undercooked. Loved the fresh yogurt and toppings available tho! The pool was just ok, not too many people. It was cloudy however and didnt look any cleaner in the morning. Hot tub was just warm and jets weren't very strong. At check in staff was super helpful and my special requests were allowed. I will stay here again for sure.

We went to the hotel so our kids could swim and have fun. The pool was overcrowded and dirty. There was sand in the hot tub and bugs everywhere. The hot tub also didn't work properly. When we checked in we were told that there were complimentary free drinks in the lounge between 5 and 7pm, no one ever mentioned that we all had to order dinner. The front desk gave keys to our room to another family. Coffee was offered in the lobby but it was cold. Overall horrible experience and wouldn't go back.

Nice hotel breakfast they have workers get drinks for you.. only thing they need to make the pool area bigger.. the hot tub didn't really work either the rooms were nice and big we had a dbl queen room price was nice too

I loved everything about this hotel! The setting, the people and the amenities. I went for one night and stayed for 4 nights due to weather. It was fun. I had a dog and they weren't for accommodating for him as well. Lots of places to walk him.

Room 103 is nice but next to breakfast area. Way to noisy. The breakfast was ok. Got the same thing warmed up for 3 days. No ESPN on the room TV. Room was not well cleaned. Burger at lounge " The Frickedelle was delicious. Very nice drink program. I wish there was some vegetable main courses or sandwiches. It was a decent price for the time of year we stayed. Fitness room needs to have indoor access and not a key to get in. This hotel is just missing the mark on some details that could easily be done better. My friend hated the noise in the AM. I should have changed the room.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was large, clean, airy and had an awesome walk in shower. There was coffee and lemon water available at all times in the lobby which was clean, warm with the fireplace lit and comfortable. We were given a voucher for a complimentary glass of wine which we really appreciated! The breakfast was yummy, made even more amazing by the great service of Lana and Eddie. They were super and made us laugh! So interesting to speak with them! Then Peter, who is always delightful, surprised us all with a mimosa! What a touch of class. We love it there. This was our fourth visit and will not be the last! Great value . I highly recommend it!

I have stayed here very often. It's location is great - very near all kinds of shopping - very near awesome dining. You cannot go wrong. Rooms are XLNT. There is a lounge on the premises, and the WiFi works everywhere in the building.

We had a confirmed reservation to stay in the hotel that is pictured in the forefront of this photo above only to be shifted to motel in the background of this picture which is not the Best Western. It is the Magnuson Motel. It is dated and classic 1950's motel with the old style room heaters and resembles more of a "Short-time" motel with no amenities. When confronting the front desk with this issue, they were very willing to let us cancel and go elsewhere rather than resolving the issue. I've stayed in nicer hotels overseas for a cost of $20 per night compared this Magnuson Motel. By the way, the Best Western was not overbooked. Never again!

This hotel has perfect location to nearby attractions. Very close to Premium Outlets and within just a few minutes drive to Frankenmuth. It is an older hotel but I believe it was renovated not long ago. Rooms are clean and reception was fast. Breakfast is pretty decent too. Overall good value for the money. We keep on returning here every year in December to visit Bronner's Christmas Wonderland.

Our go to place for a weekend to unwind. Clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay. We love the oversize suites. They offer the best nachos around, but bring your appetite! Can't wait until our next visit.

My husband and I stayed here in a suite and it was so nice and clean I would definitely recommend this hotel. They have room service a fantastic breakfast, bar the food was great the pool was great. They staff was very friendly.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly but the only reason I booked this hotel said they had a fireplace! They don't!!!! They have a faux fireplace, one of those fake fireplaces with light and fake logs and stuff. There wasn't even any heat off of it. Be aware, you were warned!

Conveniently located a.t I75 exit, updated clean rooms, exceptionally friendly staff, very nice breakfast included. The complimentary drinks in the lounge were a pleasant surprise, and the smooth check-in was appreciated

We had a great 2 day stay.rooms were clean and large. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even though they were working on Thanksgiving.I really cannot give them enough Kudos. Our one disappointment was that the indoor pool was not heated.My grandkids were really looking forward to swimming. Restaurant/Lounge was very nice with a cozy atmosphere. Free Hot Breakfast was really nice.

Great stay! Been coming here for a few years and have always had a great experience. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. They just remodeled and looks great. Can't wait until next year. Definitely recommend them.

Worst bed ever. Tossed and turned all night. Q-tip on bathroom floor from previous guest. When I spend over a 100 bucks on a hotel room I expect at the very least that it will be clean and have a comfortable bed. I don't think that is much to ask.

After we checked in, we went right to our room. As soon as we opened the door you could tell the room was never cleaned. Dirty cups on the dresser and the sheets and blankets were on the floor. Went back to the desk where the clerk said the room was marked as clean. Clearly it wasn't. He exchanged our rooms for a different one. The original room had a king bed. The new room was two queen beds and the beds were not comfortable. Squeaked a lot when you sat down or moved. The only good thing was the breakfast. Definitely would not stay again.

I recently stayed here with my mom. We did a girls trip to spend some time together before I have my first baby in a few weeks. The room was clean, the pool was very relaxing, the included breakfast was also great and had a lot of options, and the hotel was very easy to find and in a convenient location. What made this trip exceptional was that the staff were so friendly and accommodating to us. Coming from Canada there are very limited options for shipping items to us that are only available in the US. The hotel was more than willing to help us out with this and I had some items shipped here before arriving and they were waiting for me upon check in. Donald was so friendly and willing to help us out both over the phone (as I had made many phone calls to arrange the package being delivered) and in person, he helped me get my items to my room and then took care of all the recycling afterwards once we assembled the stroller and everything. It was so nice having friendly people looking after us and making sure that everything about the stay was taken care of and definitely not expected from such a reasonably priced hotel. Much appreciated and thank you so much for making this a stress-free experience! We will be back.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Close to Frankenmuth. About a five minute drive. The price was reasonable for this type of hotel. The hotel also had a restaurant and lounge which is unusual for a Best Western.

This newly remodeled hotel had wonderful atmosphere and great customer service. The beds were so comfortable, there were complimentary drinks and an in house lounge, pool, and hot tub. Great complimentary breakfast choices.

We were very pleased with our stay. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean (though a little small). The pool and hot tub were clean, and the continental breakfast had lots of options and was delicious. The happy hour special and drink ticket was a great perk also. Our only complaint would be that we were hoping to use the hot tub one last time on the morning of check out, but the water was cold.

We stayed here for two night so we could visit Frankenmuth. While it was cheaper than properties in Frankenmuth, it did not live up to Best Western plus standards that we are accustomed to. There are multiple buildings, some are connected and some are not. Some rooms have exterior entrances and some have interior entrances. There isn't an elevator. The overall property is clean and well kept. We always saw people cleaning. However, when we checked in, our room had some issues. The refrigerator door would not close because the little freezer had so much ice build up it wouldn't close. To their credit, when we called maintenance came by very quickly. “KJ” was very nice and helpful. The wastebasket had an empty liquor bottle in it. The floor in the bathroom had hair on it. The sheets on the bed weren't pulled to the corners. We had to fix the beds ourselves. The bathtub would not drain after a shower. The pillows were tiny on the bed. Breakfast was not the best. The eggs were inedible and looked like cornbread. (Photo provided) Yogurt was in a machine - what? There was a waitress who doled out coffee and juice. No self serve. Canned fruit. Dry cinnamon rolls. The pool, although indoors, was cold. All of the staff we interacted with was very nice. Bartender was friendly and helpful.

We were disappointed that we couldn't get a motel in Frankenmuth but it turned out that the Best Western in Birch Run was very close and was really nice. They provide an excellent breakfast and the rooms are very clean. We were very pleased with our stay here.

The property is newly remodeled. The Lobby area is beautiful, as nice as any. Adjacent is a bar and restaurant area, very nicely done. Drink tickets for happy hour were included with the room and we took advantage of it. While there we decided to stay and have dinner. Prices were very inexpensive and we were very surprised by the size of the portions and quality of the food. The remodel rooms were nice inside, although the bath, is very small, but adequate. Not sure if the exterior of the rooms will be addressed in the remodeling, but the exterior walls, windows and walkways expose the old façade. For the value conscious traveler, the Best Western provides good value.

We stay at Best Western often and always have a good experience. This hotel however is exceptional. The lobby was very nice, they have a great restaurant and the room was very nice. The staff was very attentive, knowledgeable about the area and very personable. The breakfast buffet was the best buffet breakfast that we have had at any of the hotels that we have stayed.

I was not happy with my stay here. This place is not what I have grown accustomed to from Best Western. They call it a Best Western Plus and I call it a Minus. It has been recently updated, but they never completed the update. Base and trim were missing in numerous places in the 1st floor hallways. Our room had a “funky” smell in it and my wife said I should have gone to the Holiday Inn. I really wish I had done what my wife said. The room price was low and that is just what I got. I am a Best Western Diamond Rewards member and I was very disappointed in my stay here.

The hotel is close to the outlet shopping so that was convenient but it's quite dated compared to other Best Westerns - the room was spacious but could have done without the cobwebs in the window corners, the bathroom door did not open all the way because the toilet was installed too far from the wall (sigh)... the hot breakfast was terrible - burnt over-cooked sausage patties, over-seasoned eggs, “crispy” potatoes (as per the sign) were mushy and the linked sausages had no colour which would suggest that they were prepared in the microwave. Very disappointed with this location.

We had booked early check in. When we got there where told we could not. So my husband had to go shopping. The elevator to the second floor does not feel safe. Was not working when we checked out. No notice and no offer to help with luggage. My son went swimming and the pool was so cold he was shivering. My husband did not like that you had to go the bar to get juice for breakfast

Very friendly and happy employees, like they actually wanted to be there. The breakfast was more like a full service restaurant. The staff helped take your food to a table, got you refills if you wanted, and checked to see if you needed anything. We will be staying here again on our next trip through Michigan.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our rooms were ready and clean. Bed was very comfortable. We had dinner in the lounge and our server was amazing! Looking forward to next year when we return again.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel most staff were very friendly and helpful when found or available. The Fireside Lounge was awsome great food and had a complimentary drink for everyone in your group each night. Easy access off I-75

Was first given a room not cleaned, then we listened to people screaming and banging around all night. Finally just packed up and left at 1:00am, staff could have cared less. AVOID this hotel at all cost!

Little worried when arrived and looked like the interior was unkept. Come to find out they were painting. Room was very nice . - nothing fancy but nice. Great beds!! The evening clerk was exceptional. Very engaging and helpful. Interior hallways difficult to navigate for handicapped. There are stairs with no railings and stairs with no yellow tape to indicate you have one step down.

We chose this hotel because it had good reviews. The outside presentation of the hotel is ok but they have recently been renovating inside and it was clean and comfortable. The rates were awesome, and included a happy hour (1 free drink per person), free breakfast that consisted of eggs, sausages, waffles, sausage gravy, biscuits, fruit, and cereal. The in-house restaurant has the best homemade pizza I've had in a long time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It is across the street from Birch Run (can't walk though because of the traffic and intersection), and a short drive to Frankenmuth.

Stay away from this hotel. Its quality is inconsistent. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years. It's been slowly getting worse and worse when it comes to customer service, and now it's reached an all-time low. It's never been my first choice, but if the better hotels are booked, it was an adequate alternative. Sadly, it's not a place I can recommend now. On my most recent visit, I was here on a Sunday night with my son. I had reserved what was described on the hotel website as an “oversized queen “ room. It was in the newly renovated part of the hotel. I was not impressed. The room was a good size, but it wasn't anything special. There wasn't a desk or a table, so doing work or eating was inconvenient. There wasn't a microwave or an alarm clock, either. It's odd to not have any way to check the time. The bedding was thin and so were the towels . The little room air conditioner chugged along, but it barely cooled the room. I only felt comfortable when I sat in a chair next to it. The bed was hard and not comfortable. It had a hard rubber style mattress protector and it didn't fit the bed well, so I tossed and turned all night, feeling the lumps it created underneath the sheet. Worst of all, though, was the location of room itself. It was the first room past the breakfast buffet area, so starting at 7:00, I was awakened by the voices right outside my room and the incessant beeping of the waffle maker. I'm a late sleeper if I don't have to go to work, so I had expected to sleep at least another two to three hours. It was impossible to go back to sleep with all the noise by my room. It's a terrible location for a hotel room. I complained to the front desk staff, but I didn't receive any compensation for my troubles . I asked to speak to the manager, but he wasn't on site. The front desk clerk gave me a business card and told me to call the next day, so I did, but the phone just rang and there wasn't even a voicemail option. I emailed the customer service representative but only received a generic “apology “ that was the exact same apology message you will see posted on this page when someone else posts a negative review. Birch Run is a popular place, so they are making plenty of money. Clearly dissatisfied customers don't matter to them. I know my business is not valued when no one bothered to speak to me directly, and I even sent a second email but it was completely ignored.

The hotel staff was not friendly. The hallways had carpet missing and old with stains. The room had a mold smell and the a/c didn't work. There was hair on the floor and in the shower in the bathroom. I will never stay here again and I don't recommend anyone else does either.

I have two dogs and travel with them all the time. I made my reservations 3 weeks ago and could only find this pet friendly hotel available due to the festival going on. I was charged 203.00 to stay in a crappy hotel. It stunk, the sheets were dirty and I was even afraid for my dogs to lay on the floor. I wasn't even there 2 minutes before I packed up and went up front demanding a refund. Never ever will I stay at a best western. If you have pets they put you in the dumpiest room and let me tell you, my pets are probably better than some of the people who stay there. Horrible experience. If I get charged, I will fight these charges to the end! Worst hotel ever. They shouldn't even get a one but I had to put something in order to leave this review. Beware!

Best western in birch run,michiganl.I give them a 5 star.The room was very clean and updated.There was only 1 chair to sit in and no desk.Otherwise ,it was great.we had the room 109 right next to the pool,but we didn't use it.The breakfast was one of the best I have ever seen in a motel.sausage patties or links,potatoes,biscuits and gravy,hot cerealcold cereal,waffle maker,fruit.I would highly recommend this motel to anyone.the price for a queen bed we had for 4 nights was I believe$316.00 .not bad walk in shower no bathtub.Enjoy!

Overall our stay was pleasant. You have to walk past the bar/lounge area to ask the front desk for towels for the pool. The Breakfast was ok. The temperature of the food was warm at best. Wait staff in the lounge area were pleasant and accommodating. Our room was clean & cozy and the bed was comfortable.

Located right by the outlet mall and 6 miles from Frankenmuth covered everything my family required. The hot breakfast and the acceptance of pets helped in the decision making. I will definitely stay there again

Great time and excellent food for breakfast. I loved the location as it was within 5 miles of downtown Frankenmuth but away from the crowds. So, also great location being right off of US 75 freeway made for a huge bonus for us.

The main lobby is nice and what I would have expected. There was some remodeling happening so it wasn't quite as clean in the common areas as I was expecting. The other buildings, outside entrance rooms, gave the appearance of a cheap motel rather than a nice hotel. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly. It was more an appearance issue.

If you are on the road and need a clean, friendly, quiet place to stay with a decent breakfast served on real plates, all for a decent price, this is the place. I was shocked by how beautiful the lounge was. I was impressed by the staff. I left feeling sure I'd look for this place again the next time I needed to crash in Birch Run.

Second stay at this Best Western in Birch Run, Michigan. Stay was two years a part. I booked both times with them basically because the price of the room was the least expensive of all the hotels in the area. Check in was quick and easy. The public hotel areas inside and out appeared clean and nicely kept up/decorated. They had fresh, hot coffee available in the lobby with all the extra fancy syrups and creamers you could possibly want. There is a nice little elevator in the lobby that took us up and down from our room on the 2nd floor. There are only two floors I believe. It was difficult for my husband and I to walk up and down the stairs because we are both disabled. They offer a free breakfast, a nice touch, served from 7am to 10 am on the days we were there, there were scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties and links, biscuits and gravy, assortment of cereal, yogurt, make it yourself waffles, assorted breads...You get your food and walk around the corner to the restaurant/bar area to be seated. If you wanted to take your food back to your room on a paper plate you could also do that. There was a friendly man who served the drinks, coffee, orange juice, milk...He also cleaned the plates off your table. He accepted tips but in no way did I feel obligated to give a tip. The king sized bed room I had was in the area that was being renovated, hallways smelled like paint or glue, they appeared to be laying carpet squares on the floor, it would have been nice to have known a head of time by the front desk or by the person who booked me into the system online that my room was going to be in that part of the building. The smell did not travel into other areas of the hotel or into my room. My room smelled nice, maybe they had sprayed it or had a scent coming from the air conditioning unit. I was later offered another room in a different area if I chose to move but I just decided to stay put because I was checking out the next morning anyway. My room had a mini fridge, a microwave, coffee pot/coffee...Also had a hair dryer and an iron. The closet didn't have a door but had a curtain you pull to open and close. Small bathroom had small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and soap...Nice deep tub if you like to soak. A fan in the bathroom was nice to clear the steam away...Water pressure and temperature was good. My room seemed cleaned, at a closer look later I noticed some spider/cob webs on the walls in a couple of spots, I accidentally knocked the tv remote off the nightstand and noticed old trash behind it. Other than that the room was fine, everything worked properly and the bed and pillows were so comfortable, I wish I could have taken them home with me. The room over looked the parking lot and entrance and was surprisingly quiet. The housekeeper gave me extra towels as requested. I had a minor issue with my room not being cleaned in a timely manner on the second night of our stay and an issue with a rude front desk employee but it was quickly resolved. I like to thank Tenesha another gal at the front desk who was very kind and helpful. A special thanks to an awesome Manager, Peter who was very nice, apologetic and professional who quickly corrected the issues and my concerns. The pool area was clean and naturally lit by sunlight from nice large windows, there was also a light switch that controlled the lights on the ceiling over the pool. The chairs and loungers/tables were in good condition, they looked new. The cement floor was imprinted with what seemed to be a tropical sea design, very cute and unique. The pool area was kept nice and warm. The pool was cool and refreshing, great on a hot day, it was also lit inside with different color lights that changed automatically. The hot tub had seven jets I believe, which was controlled by a dial on the wall that you turn. One of the jets were very strong and powerful while the others gave a gentle massage, it was clean, relaxing and hot. There is also a water fountain inside the pool area. The towels were kept conveniently at the front desk and seemed heated to me, nice and warm. The pool hours were 10 am to 10pm with an adult swim from 10 to 11pm. Outside of the pool are a few video games you can play. Also I liked the fact that there was a bathroom down the hall from the pool so you don't have to go back to your room to use the restroom. I believe there was a work out room but I didn't get the chance to see it. Possibly a laundry room and a meeting room and a room with computers but don't quote me on that as I did not utilize them. There was also a restaurant/bar which I didn't get to take advantage of either but the people I did see looked like they were enjoying themselves. They have room service which I didn't use either. There are a lot of places near by, fast food and grocery stores... Location is very good if you are visiting the shopping outlets or Frankenmuth. Seems like a nice safe area and the hotel is smoke free which is a plus to us but if you wanted to smoke you could do so by walking a little ways down away from the entrance. Over all we had a nice stay. Thanks so much!

We went to Frankenmuth for a relaxing weekend. This Hotel was reasonably priced and very relaxing. The staff was attentive and courteous. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The pizza in the lounge was excellent. We will be back.

We have stayed here annually for the past 6 or 7 years. We always enjoy our stay, so close to everything and just off the Hwy 75.it is right neat Birch Run and only 10 minutes from downtown Frankenmuth. Happy hour is always a favorite with very good food reasonably priced.

Stayed In honeymoon suite, fireplace did not work, maintenance never showed up to fix it! Been waiting for a manager to return a call about complaint over a week! Paid 203 one night! Never again!! Obviously this place is not very professional if I wanted an average room for 100 that's what I would of stayed in, can't even return a phone call!

We stayed here for a long weekend shopping trip over the Canadian Family Day Weekend. The location is very convenient for the Outlet mall, as well as a Meijer nearby for essentials. We've stayed previously at the America's Best Value which is almost next door ... but decided to give the Magnuson/Best Western a try since it was less expensive. We didn't regret our decision whatsoever. The room was clean and had most amenities (no mini fridge, which would've been nice, but not a deal breaker). The breakfast was great - scrambled eggs, home fries, 2 kinds of meat, buscuits, waffle makers and then your typical continental stuff. They were quite busy and understaffed at times (waitress service to your table for coffee/juice) but nothing that would spoil your breakfast, in my opinion. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay and I've already booked again for another shopping trip over Easter weekend. Only 2 suggestions - mini fridges would be nice, and the heater in our room ran 24 hours, which made it a little dry and too warm at times - but I couldn't figure out how to turn it off.

Maintenance issues terrible ( heater did not work properly (slept with outside door open thankfully we had a balcony room) continental breakfast was disappointing to say the least, and when problems were reported it was always someone else fault.

After reading the negative reviews I was a bit hesitant. However, I found the hotel to be excellent, clean, quiet rooms, very friendly staff and lots of nice amenities, including a bar/lounge, coffee 24 hrs in lobby, good WIFI signal and pet friendly. The hotel is located near a busy expressway but never heard highway noise in the room. I only have 3 minor criticisms. The TV stations - they only had a few cable stations (no ESPN in room - had to go to lounge) no MSNBC plus the local stations. Breakfast (which included a hot breakfast, egg, meat, potato) didn't start until 7 am which is a bit late compared to other hotels & we visited after about a 8 inch snowfall - the parking area was all plowed but they didn't push away any banks to make easy access to a walking area for the dog. It was necessary to climb the 2ft bank to walk.

Save your money stay anywhere esle ! rude front desk dirty rooms dirty towels etc... The Bc food eggs were cold dishes were dirty again rude people !!! they have people working there that look right out jail I stayed with grandkids never ever save your money go anywhere esle....

Great location in the middle of everything. Always had good, hot, coffee in the lobby. The staff was super friendly and always had a smile. The lobby was very nice and welcoming. The room was clean and fresh!

The hotel is clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location between frankenmuth and Birch Run. We loved it. The Restaurant is nice just wished had more selections. Our waiter was very nice and made us a delicious drink of his recommendation. Overall this hotel is great and highly recommend it.

Have stayed here many times and this hotel has become my go to place when visiting the Frankenmuth/Birch Run area. Great staff, excellent service, nicely appointed, and great price. It has been a spot on experience every single time.

This was my second stay here and I will never stay here again. Stayed Dec. 4th, 2017. Booked through Booking.com. At check in was practically reprimanded by woman on the desk that I should have used my Best Western Rewards to book. Before going to bed, checked mattresses like I always do. Mattress was stained badly with what looked like coffee or tea, crumbs of some kind all over and the mattress cover was disgraceful. I called the front desk and said we would like a room with clean beds. The woman on the night shift put us in a room across the hall from our original. I checked the beds again and this time there was a long dark hair and more crumbs under the bedspread. The woman on night shift told us the only other thing she could do was check us out. Which seemed out of line at 12 am when I have my 73 year old mom with me. I guess she was saying there weren't any clean beds in the whole hotel, or else she was saying she didn't want to bother with us. We asked for another bed spread to put over the beds to be more comfortable to sleep on and she said she didn't have any more bed spreads. She also tried to deny the beds were dirty until I pointed out the hair to her myself I called the manager and left a message. I have emailed with Meckel Reeves who said they would call me to discuss what happened, and they have not. This total lack of respect in the treatment of guests who would just like a clean bed to sleep on is atrocious. Never in 8 years staying with the Best Western Chain have I been so disappointed.

Reviews on here made place sound ok to stay at. Once there I found out reviews were dead wrong and we left and checked in at another place. This place was dirty, front desk staff rude an bad characters and going on in the parking lot. Please BEWARE and stay away from this place.

Best Manager Reception Ever! Free drinks from 5-7p with a food purchase. The food is delicious! Best Pizza Ever! Not only that the staff is great! The manager is Awesome. The hotel is modern, rooms are beautiful and the bed is so comfortable! My favorite hotel in Birch Run or Frankenmuth!

Hotel is fine to stay in. Staffs on site do everything to make your stay pleasant. However, be careful of cancellation policy. Inspite of what I was told by staff during booking and was written in my confirmation, the hotel refused to allow me to cancel my second day eventhough I called a few days ahead to modify my reservation, well ahead of the 24 h written in my confirmation email.

Was at this motel Dec 8th-10th. Our room was very dirty. I did not let my bare feet touch the floor. It was simply bad. I did ask for a different room but was told that they were fully booked. I would have switched to a different hotel but was there for a sport competition and needed to be with the group as we came in on a chartered bus. I was not comfortable here. I became extremely worried when one friend got bitten in their bed. You need to see this place in person to understand all the reviews as pictures don't capture it. I was relieved when we left to go home.

The first time I stayed here (2 years ago) we had an amazing stay. All amenities were great, staff was very friendly. This second visit the chlorine in the pool was ridiculously strong (my 4 year old broke out in hives from it), the lobby floor was half carpeted, the man working the front desk the night we arrived was not helpful, when we asked for pool towels we were told the "laundry girl" didn't show up to work that day so there were no clean towels??? Any good manager would have given us something?

Terrible hotel manager Peter had nothing but excuses for odor in my room. Talked about hotel guests to other guests. Was very defensive. Never will I stay at this hotel again. Brutal. Grease smell in my room from kitchen was awful. The smell was detected immediately upon entering. Reported it to front desk who said kitchen staff needed to turn on exhaust hoods. Hotel manager took no responsibility for the odor. It was awful.

Friendly staff, very attentive at all times Our toilet was broke and we told staff, they came right away to repair, they couldn't repair and did offer us another room, we did decline because it was our last night and didn't want to repack , but they were very attentive and friendly

I have been staying at Birch Run Best Western for the past few years for our annual chick trip for Christmas shopping at the Birch Run Outlets. We love the people who work at this hotel. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and accommodating. From the front desk, restaurant, bar and breakfast staff, we were treated to top notch service. The breakfast with make your own waffle bar and turkey sausage were absolutely delicious. When I took the last cup for waffles, the friendly attendant asked if I would like more, even though breakfast time was nearly over. The fireside lounge, with namesake fireplace and friendly staff at the bar and restaurant were especially welcoming after a long cold day of shopping until we dropped. The front desk handled our checkout flawlessly. Parking was convenient and nearly right outside our door to the courtyard.I look forward to staying at this Best Western every December. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable and comforting.

LOCATION - LOCATION- LOCATION right in the middle of lots of shopping. Great place to go for the Christmas holidays. Hotel is renovating. Our room was wonderful with a new mattress. love love love this property. We go back every December for Christmas shopping around the area. Frankenmuth is a few miles away. a Stop at Bronners is a must

My hubby and I have been going to Frankenmuth for many years to see the lighting of the town, go to Bronners, the biggest Christmas store! We always stay stay at theBest Western in Birch Run. Great service, rooms are great, lobby so cozy, restaurant great food. Need more staff at restaurant. Beverages be more accessible in the mornings, not behind the bar. Renovations make it even better!

My boyfriend and I stayed with Best Western for the first and probably the last time. The service wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. We had a few problems with the cleanliness of our stay, which makes us never want to stay with them again. For dinner we went to the bar downstairs where were served our food. My food had hair in it which obviously is very gross. When we went back to our room we were overall impressed until we noticed again more hair on the shower wall that didn't belong to either of us. The carpets in the hallway looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a long time and the hot tub had sand all over the bottom of it. We were impressed with the overall room and the staff was average, but the cleanliness of the hotel has to be one of the top things in our opinion to come stay again.

Best Western Of Birch Run Is A Great Hotel / Motel. The Only Down Side Is That Most Of The Outside Rooms Don't Have Microwaves. Other Than That Great Comfortable Beds, Mini Fridge, Bathroom With Shower, Shampoo / Conditioner, And Great TV.

Had a nice stay here for 1 night. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. Pool and spa were nice and the breakfast was what one would expect for the price. Complimentary drinks at the bar the evening of arrival were a nice touch too!

This hotel is in a great location if you are shopping at the Premium Outlet Birch Run or going to Frankenmuth. The staff are especially welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The hallways and restaurant area are being redone. We didn't use the pool. Breakfasts are average, but free. This place is quite reasonable in price. We will return. It is far better than the last time we stayed there.

The room we stayed in was one of the newer rooms so not issues. The only issue is the mould smell in the hallways, bar and reception area. This is bad. We couldn't stay in the bar long since I couldn't breath. Once the construction is over, hopefully the mould smell will be gone.

Even during renovations, hotel is clean and welcoming. Staff are personable and professional. Excellent service and large portioned flavourful food at the fireside lounge. A great get-a-way that you don't want to leave.

Walls looked horrible and this room was supposed to have been recently renovated. Very small and very dirty. Staff unresponsive to my telling them floors were dirty. Still not cleaned after next day. Had to request extra towels both days. Not happy.

Love this location! The staff was amazing and had so much fun interacting with them. The motel is under renovation but that did not stop us from enjoying the whole experience! Rooms looked great and the beds were comfortable! Good food at breakfast and ate both nights at the pub! Loved it and will recommend this one as being the one to stay at while in Birchrun!

It is easy to get into and out of, close to shopping and great places to eat. It his a lounge to unwind in after a busy day. We had a large clean room, nice bathroom. The staff were very nice and helpful. The Hotel is under a huge make over right now, but it will be awesome when it is complete. We will stay there again for sure.

Very nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, and good price!! This hotel is very close to shopping at Birch Run. It is very clean and the rooms are very nice. They are remodeling this hotel and I'm sure when its done it will be wonderful. The staff are very helpful at breakfast we had a young lady whom helped us with you drinks. it was really nice. The website said “newly renovated” but it was actually being renovated and I wouldn't have book this location if I knew. When I brought this fact up with the gentleman at the front desk he was argumentative and a bit hostile/defensive.

The staff are exceptionally attentive to guests and special requests. Fireside lounge and food very nice. Bed comfortable. Check in and check out efficient. Breakfast buffet well done Hotel Is currently undergoing upgrades and renovations, can't wait to see it complete.

The night I stayed the power was going out due to an earlier incident in the area where a pole was struck. The staff went above and beyond of what would be expected they let everybody know what was going on and the projected timeline and they rushed my dinner order so it could be done before the power was turned off. They even provided flashlights and offered to help you to your room in the dark. Job well done in training these people.

King bed and pillows were soft, and comfortable. Room was very clean as was shower and bathroom. All employees were very friendly and went out of their way. The bartender/waitress was extremely nice and even made my daughter a sundae even though it wasn't on their menu unless u bought a kids meal. I was glad to pay the $2 for the sundae because my daughter really enjoyed it. Breakfast bar was amazing. Short drive to Frankenmuth from here, only had to take 2 roads. Only thing we disliked was the temperature of the indoor pool water-freezing and could not stay in for very long. Jacuzzi was great.

Very professional staff. The hotel was in the process of remodeling, but even with all that was going on the hotel was functioning. Our room was very nice, clean, & comfortable. The ladies who attended to us at breakfast were very personable & kept the coffee coming!

i felt the rooks weren't the best for price. We were apart of a wedding party group and received discounted pricing wouldn't of been please if had to pay more for what rooms were like. Felt they were average and didn't have all the communities could of had for price. Staff was very nice but would probably not go out of my way to stay again for price.

the place is nothing like advertised, would NEVER go back very noisy got no sleep, really needs some renovating done for sure breakfast was disgusting, eggs from a carton? 2 doors down from us there was a big fight going on thought someone was going to be killed person at desk didnt hear a thing it was room at top of the stairs

Found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and modern. Hotel is under renovations but this did not significantly impact the guest experience. Hotel is central to shopping malls, service stations, restaurants and tourist attractions.. Has small indoor pool and hot tub.

Overall stay only fair, many issues as they are remodeling walls of the rooms thin,, could hear neighbors. breakfast bar could have been run better pool was ice cold . Some staff members did go out of the way to help me although I did not bring up too many of the issues

We picked this hotel since we are rewards members and we weren't sorry. We had one of the newer rooms the first night and it was lovely. For the 2nd and 3rd night we moved just down the hall to a room facing the courtyard. Again, lovely room with a door leading outside to a little patio with table and chairs. The staff here went above and beyond for anything we wanted. A special shout out to Mechel who made our stay so enjoyable. She helped make a smooth transition from room to room. The only reason we had to move was because we only had enough reward points for one night. The staff in the lounge were always very friendly. We ate our dinner there every night and the food was very good and not pricey. The blt sandwiches were the best I'd ever had, the fresh made pizza was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the meatloaf. The chef himself came out to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our dinner! Even though they are currently undergoing renovations, we weren't inconvenienced at all Michelle (the owner) came and sat with us to explain some of the reno's and even showed us the samples for the new tile floors, the carpet and paint colours. All in all we had a great time and our looking forward to returning to see the finished product.

Always enjoy our stay here. Requested a certain room & the hotel owner Michelle made that happen. Also enjoyed the happy hour, the nice hot breakfast & relaxing in the fireside lounge after dinner. We wouldn't bother staying anywhere else...

Don't waste your time and money here. Stay at a different hotel. Wi-Fi doesnt work more than half the time. Had to switch rooms because one of the beds was completely broken yet they said they were brand new beds. The breakfast was nothing I'd feed to my dog (rock hard biscuits. Gravy was WAY over salted, eggs so overly seasons with what I assume was dry parsley they were almost completely green and unedible. And last but not least 2 different staff members talked down to us like we were beneath them.

Just got home from a stay I Frankenmuth...really liked this hotel. Fast, friendly check-in (Thank you Mykala) Spacious room, very clean, friendly staff...Only "ding" I could give this is for the miniscule bathroom....really like an airplane loo....and I sure wish they had some safety strips or grab bars I the tub....but .other than that..we enjoyed our stay Breakfast was awesome..eggs, ham, sausage, biscuits and gravy.....very tasty and plentiful...lots of choices and all very good... I think this is the only hotel we have ever stayed at that had a back door on the room...nice seating area with chairs to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather....very peaceful....and nicely maintained... Other than hearing the people across the hall getting into their room, we never heard another sound all night.....

This best western have two sections; a motel and a hotel section. Staff was very friendly. Pool was fine. Breakfast was more than usual. The railings at the stairs were very odd / dangerous because you could not keep your hand around the railing due to knobs and mountings. Access to some rooms were a bit like a maze. Wouldnt want to find your way if a fire broke out.

This toad of a premises is trying to become a Prince Charming with a quick coat of paint but none of the magic. Staff across as being bored silly with their jobs. The deluxe rooms are noisy with thumping above, along the corridor and especially from the breakfast area right beside these rooms. So many things in the room were not working or shoddily finished. Guests in rooms on both sides were complaining loudly about their air conditioning not working, especially when temperatures were in the high 80s. Breakfast was a gross experience having to ask for milk for cereal or mugs for coffee and then asking for coffee or whatever. Several machines were not working properly and supplies of many things had run out by 7.45am. Very poor quality for a motel trying to call itself a Best Western Plus.

The building itself has been there for many years and used as various hotel sites. The rooms have been recently upgraded however the noise level between rooms is high. Breakfast included in price was poorly organized in layout. No fresh fruit available, just high starch items. Will not stay here again.

We enjoyed the variety of breakfast options and appreciated the two drinks for free during happy hour in the bar. The bed was very comfortable, we had a good wifi, a coffeemaker and fridge in the room. The location is perfect, Close to the outlet and to the Interstate .No complains.

There was nothing indicating that they are currently under renovation and that would have been nice to know ahead of time considering my allergies. It is right at Birch Run so very convenient for shopping and about a 5minute drive to Bronner's and 10 minutes from Frankenmuth. Breakfast included however it was a very disorganized set up as there were 3 areas to go to to get drinks and food...I am sure this was due to the renovations happening. I would most likely stay somewhere else on our next trip.

Upon arriving at the hotel we were given a room in one of the outbuildings. We went and looked at our room and found that our room was dirty and when we took back the covers on the bed we found bed bugs. It also appears that the mattress was stains and very dirty and the Sheets Were grimey. When we discovered this when you return to the front desk and told the night manager Robert what we had discovered. Robert was very accommodating and got us a new room in the hotel portion of this establishment. The outbuildings are considered the motel or temporary one night lodging, the main part of this establishment is considered the hotel or the rooms where people are going to be staying longer. Our new room was very nice we were told that we were one of the first guests to stay there. Robert also made up for part of the experience by comping our room. Traveler beware do not stay in the outbuildings if you plan to stay at this hotel.

This hotel had no Advils or Aleve in their store but had two rows of birthday candles. What priorities!!!! When I pointed that out to the staff working on duty at the front desk there was no reaction at all whatsoever.

Decent hotel but they appeared to be renovating the hotel. The room we had smelled of old cigarette smoke. Some hallways had old dirty carpet, and some had new carpet. No signs on the building to direct you were to go to check in, or where the front desk was.

The room tub looked very old and out dated and the faucet making a loud screeching noise the whole time i showered. The bed sheets smelled funny and the bed was completely worn out. The tv had barely any channels and the tv kept cutting out signal and was fuzzy. I travel alot for business and have stayed there before but seems like the place is getting worse every time i go back so i will not be staying there next year in september. I even took my child swimming and the hot tub wasnt even working correctly no bubbles or jets and looked very dirty and the chlorine was super high and strong was burning my eyes in there and the pool was so cold my son didnt even want to swim in the pool also was very dirty and dark. The whole hotel looked like the rennovations werent finished was missing stuff everywhere modlings lights ceiling tiles etc. and things were laying everywhere looked the same way when i stayed last year. So not much improvement sense i stayed there last year. Not to mention my experence checking in wasnt great at all booked the same room i booked last year for frankenmuth autofest i stayed in last year when i got there they told me the room wasnt available anymore when i sent them a form a year ago and they said it will save that room for me and everything. Got into a argurment with the man at corner in a suit and hat not sure if he was manager or not but at that point i was going to leave except there was no more rooms anywhere that weekend or i would have. So he ended up putting us on the second floor cause apparently he gave that room to someone else. I WILL NOT TO BE BACK NEXT YEAR

We recently stayed for an antique car show being held close by and really enjoyed the hot complimentary breakfast offered. The hotel was undergoing some renovations but still was neat and clean with really helpful staff.

The hotel and employees are wonderful, especially Tyler, chef at fireside lounge. My husband hat the chicken fried steak and loved it. He doesn't eat much so saved the rest to take home. The next day we went there again and after perusing the menu he decided he wanted the steak again. Tyler was so accommodating. He said he would warm the previous days steak for my husband and make him a new one which we could take home. That was perfect. Thanks Tyler.I Had the chicken ceasar wrap. Delish!

Other than the outside noise, we would highly recommend this hotel. The staff and the accommodations were great. The beds were pretty comfortable and the rooms were clean and tidy. The pool room was very warm and humid but the pool was nice and cool and the hot tub very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond.

Here for one night stay, Receptionist yawning at check in. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was strange for me, specifically, biscuits and gravy. In Scotland that would be a scone and chicken soup and never combined and never for breakfast. Nothing wrong with it, just strange. Not much for eating late round about, fortunately the Subway was open late.

I was here for a wedding and the room had 5 spiders in it. We got one towel on the second day. I think the most annoying thing was we got locked out of our room every time so we had to go to ththe desk to reset them. I would never stay again

This hotel has been under renovation for over a year. The exterior is done and looks good. Parts of the interior are still being worked on and in some instances it is kind of hard to tell what has been done and whether others are going to be done or will stay as is. Our room was small but adequate for two. The bed was comfortable with nice bedding. The easy chair was new but the ottoman and dresser were probably carry-overs. The door to the bathroom was either mis-hung or warped because it didn't close. The breakfast is improved with a wide selection of hot items but a skimpy selection of bread items. There was white and wheat bread, English muffins and biscuits if you look by the very good sausage gravy; no sweet rolls, donuts or bagels for those wanting just a light breakfast. Missing also was peanut butter for the kids, sugar free syrup for the very good waffles and cream cheese for the missing bagels.

If it's shopping you like or just a round of golf this hotel is close to it all. Good value and so close to everything. Shopping golf the interstate it's all right there. New renovation makes it very comfortable. Highly recommended

The Staff was Great The Room was clean and the Bed was Comfortable. The Lounge/ Restaurant was very Nice and the Food was Great there is no need to find a place to eat if you stay here. Was a quite and friendly place to stay and would stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful hotel and staff was extremely helpful. Rooms were clean, large. Staff very friendly. Grounds were pristine. No road noise. Restaurant had good quality food. Easy to find. Road leading to hotel was choppy but not the hotels fault.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times. The people are always friendly and the rooms are always clean. The breakfast is a very nice hot breakfast and they do a very good job with it. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling through or in town for the weekend at the outlets .

I stayed in one of the tower suites and it had been recently updated and was very nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. The free breakfast is convenient and the selections are great but can use a better cook. The manager Peter has some promising ideas for improving the look and service of the hotel. Keep up the good work.

great place to stay if you plan on shopping at burch run . Bestwestern isgreat, I only book BW when I need to stay somewhere. We booked our second night at the best western in port huron. We shopped our second day in port huron.

Approaching this hotel from the highway may give you pause. The location looks a little sketchy. Then finding the entrance was difficult, no Office Sign or Lobby entrance sign. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms were decorated in nice earth tones and greens. The carpets could use a cleaning in the rooms and the hallways. We were in the main building, so it must get a lot of wear and tear, even being so new. I dropped something on the floor and used a towel to wipe it up and the towel area was black.....so, the need for cleaning. When we arrived my husband wanted to eat, there is a restaurant in the lobby, wo we sat down and waited and waited and waited. Finally the front desk staff told them were had been waiting and was finally approached. My husband ordered a burger and again we waited. It came, supposed the be Medium Well. It was pretty much raw in the middle. Sent it back and just went to the room. Staff made apologies and wanted to make it right, but we were tired and tired of waiting. And, I will say we were patient, because there were several groups in the bar area. This is why I say A Work In Progress, this hotel has a lot of potential, but is having some issues.

Janna was awesome. She took care of our needs with a late check in. The grounds were beautiful. Sitting on the balconies were calming. The history wall of the hotel was very interesting. The paint colors chosen for redecorating of the rooms was calming. The bed mattress was firm and comfortable.

Although they are remodeling, our room was completed. Very nice upgrade and our room was spacious. Drawback was a dirty entry and bathroom floor. It looked as though it had not been cleaned after the remodal. Breakfast had a wide selection to choose from. All in all, I would stay there again after the remodal is complete.

The hotel is located directly off the highway, 10 minutes from Frankenmuth. Very nice condition, although parts are still undergoing renovations. Great staff especially in the breakfast/dining areas. Directly across the street from a huge outlet mall. Price was reasonable compared to local hotels.

This facility is very close to the Birch Run Premium Outlet Mall which is reason enough to stay here! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. The free breakfast was good but I would love to see them add fresh fruit. Nevertheless, I'd happily stay here again!

Although the outside shows that it is not a brand new Hotel, the work that they are doing on the inside looks wonderful. You would be hard pressed to beat the hospitality of the front desk. The Fireside Grill and seating area was great as we enjoyed a cocktail and watched a Tiger baseball game. ( no they did not win but after all this isn't fictional story) The rooms were clean and well kept. I will be staying here again soon. Nice job to Heidi and Peter for truly adding to our experience!!

We booked in July 30th, Robert was on duty. He was very helpful with the booking, showed us our room before we agreed to it. Room was recently renovated, on the ground floor in the mail bldg. as requested. We enjoyed the happy hour with the free drinks then had a good dinner there. The breakfasts included were great and what we expected. All the staff we dealt with were very helpful during our stay. Nice hotel and excellent location for visiting Birch Run and Frankenmuth. The location is at the Outlet malls in Frankenmuth, conveniently located at that I-75 exit. Frankenmuth is only about a five minute drive.

It's nice stuff they are very friendly clean room they only think we didn't like was the breakfast the food was old and they didn't have only couple of think I will never go to that one. I try the one in sterling height was completely different

A nice hotel , great location! Lots of shopping near by. Service was good nice breakfast friendly staff . Very close to Frankenmuth .our air conditioner didn't shut off so it was noisy but other than that we enjoyed our stay !

Room was more spacious than expected. Very informative and friendly at checkin. Gave us a free drink ticket each upon arrival.Room average to good. Bit of an odd breakfast setup where you are served instead of getting yourself. This may have been to keep it organized as 4 hs football teams were there.

They are renovating the hotel even as we stay here and it looks really cool. The room is spacious and very clean. I love the newly redone sitting area with the fireplace. A full breakfast rounds out this economic stay.

We love staying at BW but this one was a little outdated. Our fridge was in the middle of the floor because only a few outlets worked. Beds were old and springy. Apparently they had a large group there for girls softball tournament and they were out side our window playing games in the yard drinking and playing music until late. The worst thing is the entrance and the exit from the hotel. Very dangerous as it is on an incline and the main road which is pretty busy. The breakfast was okay Staff was good

This hotel is partially remodeled. Our room was small but clean with nice beds. Wifi worked great. One problem we had was lack of towels-there were only 3 towels for 5 people. We asked for more but staff said there were none. The pool area was small and the water looked dirty. Many kids swimming and being very wild. Breakfast was good but not enough options. We prefer helping ourselves to being served. Staff were all very nice.

The place was a great value for the money. Internet could use an upgrade hard to stream videos and skype. The breakfast served was top notch and cooked perfectly. Although the appearance was a little dated the quality and updated amenities in the room were nice. After looking at the reviews I was skeptical about staying since the wife was tagging along . She tends to be a neat freak but even she was completely satisfied with the experience..

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the last 5 years or so. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean! The rates are not overwhelming! I wish I used the free drink tickets, but didn't pay attention when they said it had to be used between specific times!

King-size bed was comfortable and liked the shower stall without a tub. Much easier to get in and out. Drawback was the humidity in the room in spite of the AC being on. Carpet and tile floors were damp and even the clothes we brought became damp during our stay there, which was 2 nights. Didn't think the cost was in line with the quality. Also didn't care for the way breakfast was served, which involved staff filling your plate from behind a counter. We prefer helping ourselves.

Was very please with everything at the Hotel. Room was comfortable, food was good and the staff was very friendly. Amy in the lounge was extremely pleasant and fun to be around. Most definitely will stay here again when in the area.

This is a nice hotel but they cheap out on some things. only 26 channels on cable TV, no premium channels. No microwave in room. Staff is nice and professional. This nice of a hotel should be treated as such and should be run for the comfort and convenience of the customer not the hotel. I was very irritated when the option of a 1:00 checkout was revoked without prior notice.

It is evident that management has a strong emphasis on service as every single staff member we encountered gave 100% warm and helpful service. From the front desk reception to the wait staff who offered to fill our water bottles with ice and fresh water for our trip, it was all 100% focus on quality service. The price was very good and the room well appointed. The free drink for the bar was an added value! We will definitely stay here again!

It was a last minute trip that worked out to be one of the best days we had a long time everything was superbwe do this again in a heartbeat plan on doing this again in the very near future town was beautiful

The rooms are very small. We booked a two double bed room for four people and it did not work well. The beds take up most of the floor space and there is little room to move. The beds we're terrible. I woke up sore all over due to the lack of support, and the groaning and creaking of springs made every trip in or out of bed a loud and disruptive event.

The room we had had fleas in it I reported it to the Transgender person at front desk it said (oh well )very poor service , The fact I have to explain to my daughter what a transgender person is is ridiculous on a family vacation. Fleas are fleas I wasn't so mad about that as it was about the treatment when I reported it and the way the transgender person handled

Robert front desk= Phenomenal!!! Great caring and friendly staff made this stay one of the best! Bar tender lady was also super friendly, happy, and caring. I forgot her name though, but ask Robert he knows. I stayed night of June 30th to July 1st 2017!! AMAZING LOCATION AND STAY

Really enjoyed the stay. Wanted to be close to Frankenmuth and was very satisfied with the location of the Birch Run Best Western. Was a little disappointed that the tv channel selection in the room was limited.

Be prepared for cold food and poorly dressed staff. The hotel is undergoing renovations but no workers could be seen in the 4 days I was at this hotel. The office entrance is poorly marked. I had to complain about the duvet cover to get it changed as it had a cigarette burn hole in it.

Every time I stay this hotel gets better and better the breakfast is so amazing they had so much to offer and all the staff to help everyone was great I can't wait for our next stay this is my go-to location

I have stayed at this hotel a few times. Each time the experience gets worse. I have learned my lesson and will no longer stay at this particular Best Western. The Hotel is being remodeled and they have been doing so for a while now. They have already taken up their prices and the rooms are about 10 to 20 dollars more than they use to be. So when I was told that I was going to be put in one of their better rooms I was excited for this stay. When I got in the room it looked the same as all of the other rooms I have been in. The very first time I stayed at this location my room was great! If this new one was suppose to be better then all the others, sadly they are not. The only upgrade to this room was a mini fridge. I had one of those in my room the first time I stayed without an upgrade, and it was 20 dollars cheaper. I think they should rethink there upgrades and make the price better reflect the upgrade. This problem is not so bad to anyone who is new to the location and couldn't tell the difference, but me being a repeat customer and being offered an upgrade for a previous bad experience this was a fail. Overall it is not a bad hotel. The Owner is very nice and she will listen if you have a problem. I just will not pay for a hotel that says they have new upgraded rooms that look like any other average room at a higher price.

Originally we had planned to stay at a hotel closer to Clio, unfortunately rooms closer to the event were booked up and so we decided to book a hotel that still has some class but that meant it would be little bit further away. Based on the location i was originally a bit timid to book a place in this general location. However the price was right and from the website and pictures it seemed like a safe bet. We had driven for 7 hours and honestly we just needed a clean bed and a restaurant bar, And not in that order. Now originally when looking off the highway and seeing the hotel it's clear it isn't the standard hotel building. This was thankfully a pleasant surprise, the entrance and parking lot is a little squirrely but it's still open and free with the reservation. The staff was more then happy to help us check in and find our rooms. The best part is that we were informed of Best Westerns rewards system. Free easy, and not only does that get you discounts on future bookings at best westerns but you also gets you FREE select drinks from the bar ! Yes there is a bar with a a full menu here to! They are open like a respectable bar and in the morning they also serve a hot breakfast. It's best to get it early though considering the line system isn't clear and can be quite hectic if everyone is trying to eat around the same time. We went between 6 and 7 am with a little bit of people already eating. The staff are very friendly and down to earth, ready to answer any questions you might have, and POOL and Hot Tub are lit up like a neon scene from the movie ScarFace. The only slight downside to the pool is that it's only open from 10 to 10. The hotel is deffidently kid and pet friendly, it has a big yard for people to walk their dogs and kids around, guests seem to mainly be couples and families during our stay. Picnic tables are available in areas and they have plenty of roaming space for you casual walkers and smokers. The hotel smells and looks clean, rooms were bigger then expected and we even had a little patio that you can enter out of the back of the room. Rooms have a decent bathroom nothing huge but clean. The sinks in our room were outside of the bathroom door so this makes it a little rough if someone is a early riser and one likes to sleep but other then that the rooms have a decent flat screen and fridge, no microwave unless you rent it I guess. But the restaurant bar is the way to go especially if it's a couple. The whole experience was a great one, staff was generous and funny, and when we return to this area in the future we will diffidently be staying here again.

Hotel looks nothing like pictures- Scarey actually. Rooms smell- employees look unprofessional- Wouldn't even let my daughters go to the pool due to the shadiness of place. I feel they have false advertisement with their pictures and charge based on those pics and not on what you get when you get there. Never again.

We had a beautiful big room which included breakfast in the morning. Our room was clean and the service was great. Hotel is undergoing renovations but this did not stop us from enjoying our stay. The room was quiet. Breakfast was not the best but better than just a Continental breakfast. We did eat dinner at the fireside restaurant....it was a very good.

Hotel is undergoing some renervations but that did not affect our 1 night stay. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and king bed/linens were very comfortable. Fresh coffee available in the lobby at all times. The lounge & restaurant were a welcome addition to weary travelers who wanted a cocktail & food. Bartender, Aimee, was a 'hoot' and cooked our cheeseburgers to perfection. The 'free' breakfast in the morning was staffed nicely & provided a good variety. It appeared to us that all employees were very well 'cross-trained' and worked together as a nice team! Congratulations to your management & team members! Nice....

stayed at best western before , liked it. property was undergoing renovations i think. breakfast was ok, buffet style but you could not take your own food. rooms were clean and comfortable. staff was helpful and courteous.

poor supper restaurant experience. no merchandise on premise. no ice tea made up. no hamburger at restaurant. no pizza sauce, crust made up ahead of time. there was at least a 2 hour wait for everything to be made up ahead of time

The outside is deceiving with the new paint and the price....wow it's to high for what you get. There doing some remodeling but it's not all done yet. The beds...well let's just say if you like the floor you'll like the bed. It's out of date and worn out. There picture and facelift outside will make you think your getting a nice room, but not so. Even there online pictures of rooms make you think your getting a nice room but there are only a few rooms done the rest of the motel dates back to the 70's. if I wasn't on business I would never stay here.

needs renovation not worth the price should have been closed and or offered a discount because of the renovation the staff never mentioned the renovation till the end of the stay i had brought my son and wife and baby daughter from edmonton to stay there

On a road trip and wanted to see both Birch Run and Frankenmuth. The Best Western is an older hotel just off the interstate. I assume it has had numerous renos since it was first built and it shows. It looks newer on line. However our rooms were very pleasant, (clean and roomy) the pool and hot tub were a bonus and breakfast in the morning was better than most hotel "continental breakfasts")

We arrived at Best Western on a Last minute trip idea. I booked the room driving up. When we arrived we were greeted by ROBERT. He was amazing. He said, " let me see what I can do to save you some money. He noticed I was a member and He saved us $50.00 upgraded are room to a suite which was very clean and the bed was amazingly cozy. we will be back

Entire hotel lacks cleanliness, smells of mildew. Maintenance technician said that the air purifier equipment left in our room that the front desk stated was our air conditioner was dangerous for my family to be around. Nonethesss my family didn't even stay the night and sought a lnother hotel at 11pm. Would never stay here again, and to top it off staff was unapologetic.

Clean, new rooms, friendly staff, great bar & restaurant inside Awesome food. close to stores, bar & few miles to Frankenmuth and only 20 minutes to Saginaw University. I will recommend this hotel to any; please register online for the because members get free drinks between 5-7 at the Managers Reception.

When I found myself in this area due to a flight cancellation out of Flint, this hotel provided everything I needed and more. The lounge and restaurant are great. The breakfast is far above the norm for a last minute hotel and the staff in all areas was kind, helpful and professional. This is a great value if you are in the area.

Although the hotel is undergoing renovations, the staff keeps the guests insulated from that fact. The breakfast service was a little different. I'm used to hotels where you go through the line to get your food, here they get it for you.

We have been to Frankenmuth several times and, when we make our plans, the Birch Run Best Western is always part of those plans. The staff and care provided are second to none. Now undergoing renovations but the service and quality are still outstanding.

A lovely place to relax. Everything we need if we dont want to go out. New clean room with a refrigerator for drinks or snacks. Free breakfast. Bar/lounge for drinks or dinner. Excellent, friendly service from everyone. Indoor pool and hot tub.

Need to replace the beds and the carpet. Very dated and musty rooms. The bed creaked and moaned every time I moved. The carpet was scary, I put my shoes on to go to the bathroom. Please fix up this hotel, it is in a great location.

We stayed here while in town for business. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was very old and outdated, however we understand they are completely updating their facility - so don't rule them out!!!!

Young lady at check in was very professional even though women ahead of me in line were giving her a hard time. Gentleman serving breakfast in the morning was very nice. It was hard to get beverages with breakfast. Should be serve yourself if no one is going to be actively serving them.

Close to shopping and the renovations should make this a perfect little gem! The pool and spa were clean and in working order. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The only downside was that the ice machine was pretty far away and we had to go outside to access the pool.

called ahead -told them late check in-no problem. everyone extremely helpful and friendly. Will go back also tell friends. Close to shopping. Manager on site and willing to greet people. Pool area clean. even though they are remodeling they keep every thing running smooth. Employees always helpful. That hotel makes you not want to leave. They strive to make it your best stay so you come back.

Hot tub was to hot and the jets were barely working. Staff friendly. The location near restaurants and shopping is excellent. There are several activities nearby during the summer. Rooms were very clean. Only problems were with housekeeping staff.

This Best Western is located right off the interstate just minutes from the outlet mall and less than 10 minutes from Bronners and downtown Frankenmuth. Also, only 20 minutes from Saginaw. The lobby has a lounge/bar and fireplace. Breakfast is better than most. Will stay here again next time we are in the area.

Not A Great Place.....Haven't seen any Renovations in years place since they did the Main Building, don't let them put you in the Back Building......it's Old and Outdated..... Don't even know how this Place Operate under the Name Of Best Western......

The bunk beds/tv in the suites for families are really convenient. Room size was great for staying more than one night. Lounge was good for grabbing a drink, and the location is perfect, 20 min from flint and saginaw, and 10 from frankenmuth

Pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast. Nice rooms. Construction right now but nothing too noisy. Only vending and ice machine near breakfast area so a walk from some rooms. Nice place! Would recommend staying. Prices r very low. Restaurant and room service. Bar. Family room with fireplace.

The Best Western Birch Run is under construction, I gather it has been under construction for a long time. All that aside our room was clean, comfortable and the got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was average, but the staff were good and the location is convenient. I don't think you can ask much more for a reasonably priced accommodation.

I was pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews! This place was my 4th Best Western in 2 weeks and it was great! We had rooms 381 and 382 which had a few stairs to get up but even with a walker one of our guests made it without too many issues! It was very quiet - the rooms had been redone with new carpet and new beds! Yes everything wasn't perfect but it was much nicer than I expected! Sure there is construction going on outside but we didn't get bothered by it at all. The free continental breakfast may be in a few areas but it was quite good. The upgrades to the lobby are quite nice and this place will be a best western plus one day but it is well on its way. I would definitely stay here again !

We visited this hotel again this year the week following Canadian Thanksgiving. We understand they are trying to become a Best Western Plus. As it stands right now, it will take a decade. Our room was old as it was last year. The complimentary breakfast was in presented in three different areas. Coffee at the check-in desk, cereal, juice and waffles in a hallway, hot items set out in the bar. we have stayed here about 4 times, but the hotel does not improve, just seems to keep going downhill. We usually stay at Best Western hotels but our next visit to Birch Run, it will be at a different chain.

Rooms need to be updated. Very old decor and cobwebs were all over the ceiling. The location was very good for shopping at the outlet mall. The breakfast was above average. The employee's were very nice and friendly.

close to the outlets and also to frankenmuth. cocktail hour was fun and really enjoyed the wings. we would deffinetly stay at this hotel next time we are in the area.we already have told some friends and they have booked at same hotel for early december

We had to wait hours to actually get into our room once we finally got in the room it was extremely warm so I went to turn on the ac and it doesn't work just blows hot air tried to open the window but there was no screen in not to mention I have a 6 month pregnant wife with me and she was very unsatisfied also found bugs under the main sheets..hope these issue are addressed for the next expecting couple trying this hotel. We will not be returning!

Nice clean room, friendly staff. The cleaning staff was real nice when we went to check out they took the key to the office for us. The room was quiet as we had requested. Great trip will come back again.

The staff was friendly enough, but I have never stayed in a Best Western that was more of a motel then a hotel. I was hoping for more of the normal Best Western experience, knowing this Best Western was not a BW Plus was ok, but I had expected more then what we received for a room. The bathroom was tiny when you stood up from the toilet your head hit the curved shower rod, I am only 5'6", the 'suite' table and chairs were very rickety. I could actually reach my arms out and touch one wall to the other. It is always nice to have breakfast included but the waffle mix tasted rubbery. Sorry BW, I would not recommend this place.

Excellent value for the price. Extremely clean - room, hallways, entrance and pool/hot tube.. The bed and pillows added to a great sleep. Staff friendly, professional and helpful. Easy access to Birch Run Outlet Mall and Frankenmuth - Christmas store and Brommers. I would stay again!! Great experience.

Perfect location if you want to do Birch Run, Frankenmuth and Bronners. It was easy to find, easy on and off the highway. The room had a different lay out and there was no refrigeration, however it was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hot breakfast was good and they did a pretty good job in keeping the dishes filled.

The Staff were very courteous .Richard, at Front desk, was very thorough and Tina, the bartender, was great. Our room was quite comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Wifi worked nicely. Hope you enjoy it too.

Booked room with BW booking centre, led to believe hotel was pet friendly.At check in at 2 am,i was informed that a 20. fee would be tacked on top of a 53.00 rate for the small dog we have. I Refused to pay the extra as i was not informed prior to check in, after getting nowhere with desk clerk to waive fee, the manager was called who also refused to waive fee. i than demanded a refund was told i could not get one but after another round of clerk and manager .a refund was credited back to my card ?Then went NEXT DOOR TO AMERICAS BEST VALUE WITH NO PET FEE AND CHECKED IN Excellent room

Hotel was very clean and room was very nice. Just needed bigger TV and softer bath towels. Hotel lobby was decorated for Halloween. The bar staff was very nice and was attentive for the cocktail happy hours.

We stayed here as we had a gift card. It was below average. We were afraid to use the whirlpool or pool as the former had a scum on the top and the later didn't look very clear. After staying in a family run facility the night before on our journey that was way above average we feel that being a part of a big chain isn't always a good thing. Room was ok. We were checked in by the GM who walked away to look after a staff member. We had to wait for another staff member to finish serving her client. She was kind enough to ask if we needed help. Maybe she should review customer service with the GM. Breakfast was nice enough although part of the food was in one room and the rest in another.

Room not ready on check in at 10pm at night, waited 1 hr for our room to be cleaned. No secure access. Room card keys not working - cleaning staff allowed entrance into room with no ID, computers down at check out. Still have no (promised) emailed invoice. And lastly - 3 pending charges on my visa (and no invoice to see what the heck I have been charged for).

Beds not made, not vacuumed, waste baskets not emptied (one with food in it), towels not replaced, coffee not replaced, used coffee/water cups not picked up. If this is the BEST Western, I would hate to see the WORST!!!

Other than the air-co of the neighbors having a bit of a hum in our room our stay was pleasant, beds were comfy, and clean, refrigerator was clean and cool. the bar lounge area was pleasant and the hotel was in the process of an upgrade to walls doors and carpets, but did not interfere with the stay. The pool area was clean but the room was a bit stuffy and had no change facility, but bathrooms were near by.

This hotel is under a massive re-construction and it shows. The staff are doing the best they can, but when the nicest rooms in the place look like your average Motel 6 along the highway, you're in trouble. We only found out after we booked that they had bedbug issues just a few nights before our stay, so we slept with the lights on all night. We were right by the pool and the walls are paper thin, so every thud of every step is heard all night. The breakfast was so sub-par, I wouldn't even include it as a perk. Rubbery and the main eggs and potato dishes had meat and mushrooms in them, which my wife and I can't and won't eat. And there were no normal eggs and potatoes offered. You'd figure, with as many kids as they had there, that it would be the standard. The pool and jacuzzi had a nice layer of something over it, so no go there. I only found out after I booked that the game room and workout room were closed due to construction. Overall, a very frustrating stay for the money we paid.

Nice place to stay and when construction done will be top notch, but keep prices reasonable for your Canadian vacationers. They look for quality and a deal. \\Right now you offer both,keep it that way and you will be successful. Best Western in Niagara Falls New York have increaased their rates and a lot of my friends will not stay there any longer.

Travelling with our American friends we were booked in for one night, arrived to find we had a room but our friends didnt said there was no record of it, so we had to go shopping, our aim was the Christmas shop, which is UNBALIEVABLE, it makes our largest shops look like corner shops, they have everything for everyone in every country in all shapes & sizes. Spent 2 hrs to starrt with Went back to get booked in then again in the morning to try & finish the shop of, unfortunatly that didn't happen so have to book another holiday. THIS IS DEFINATLY A MUST with or with out children, check it out on the web.

This hotel is in the midst of being renovated. This did not affect my review of this hotel. The rooms were clean but sparse with towels and toiletries. \\the bulb in the lamp by the bed was burned out and we had to take a bulb from another lamp to have a light by the bed. The breakfast bar was unorganized and basic. I have stayed at the hotel several times over the past few years but feel the quality is going down.

We were here two years ago and stayed again this year. Staff were great and room very clean. Pool and hot tub are very good. They have a great breakfast in the morning. Only thing they should provide a fridge in each room at no extra charge as most hotels do. will stay there again when in the area

...what they call "remodel" is really a demolition / rebuild. The exterior looks like a construction site, mud debris trash scattered around ~ heavy equipment, too. We called well in advance (planned event in town) spoke with the front desk, set up simple bookings over two nights. Upon arrival, had to spend a half-hour plus *correcting* what had been entered wrong in their system. The price we were charged was well above what had been originally quoted. Apparently, due to their mistake in taking the reservation ~ we were *moved* from an outdoor entrance room to an indoor entrance room (higher rate) without the desk clerks mentioning the increase. In either case, the room charges are extravagant for what is currently not much more than a "just of the highway motel" in the early stages of being turned into a hotel property worthy of the brand.

terrible stay many other quality hotels to choose from in the area . For another $20 we could have stayed at a newer and up to date hotel. This hotel needs to be completely remodeled from head to toe. I'd say this is the worst hotel in the Frankenmuth area and it is comparably priced the same as the others.

We stayed at this Bet Western for four nights while visiting Frankenmuth. It is a 10 minute ride into Frankenmuth which was fine. The staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient. However, there was no "peep hole" in the room door for security - no cover on the ice bucket for cleanliness - the breakfast food was very average and the plastic "silverware" was cheap. The appearance of the hotel was fine. Would not stay there again although they are beginning to remodel which might help.

We booked our reservation online at the Best Western website. They said this location was newly renovated and had pictures of a beautiful motel. I don't know where that was, it sure wasn't this one. This location is under full renovation. Large construction equipment tearing down wings of the motel. The only landscaping was a little around the office. Our entrance was dirt and mud with garbage bags piled up. We felt very ripped off. And with a prepaid rate, we were kinda stuck there.

When we made our reservations, we were told it was a newly renovated property. Didn't know it was still in the middle of construction. Might be a nicer property when construction is complete. The room is decorated okay and has a decent appearance. However, I think the mattresses are older and the bathroom floor was full of the previous guest's hair... nasty!! The room is an interior entrance, but the door to the outside has no lock or security measures... anyone can walk into the hallways. Disappointing because we generally have good luck with Best Western properties. We will not stay here again.

The Birch Run Best Western Hotel is located right near the Birch Run Outlets, and only a 10 minute drive to Frankenmuth. The rooms are clean, staff was friendly, and the breakfast was included each morning! The Hotel is undergoing some updates, such as a new elevator. That would be wonderful if you are staying on the second floor as we did. The hotel was not noisy, which made our stay there perfect.

This hotel even though it is being remodeled is in very nice condition, the rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. They have 1 evening staff female that goes out of her way to make you feel at home, she is wonderful.

Presently under renovation. If they continue redoing to lobby, bar and dining room, pool and breakfast area as they have the rooms and are doing the exterior front, it will be a nice facility. We have stayed here many times over the years and it has always been satisfactory but now it is improving. The breakfast was a mixed bag. The hot food was very good, especially the O'Brien potatoes instead of the usual soggy hash browns, but the little things have and continue to be missing; peanut butter, cream cheese, and sugar free syrup are examples..

My husband and I took a Trip to this Best Western for Labor Day weekend. Had a outstanding time at Best Western folks where Awesome to us and the place was Awesome! Would come again. Went on to Frankenmuth, Michigan and went on a outstanding River boat ride cruise> It was a awesome ride with my huband. This was a early 51 anniversary get away. We stopped at the Chicken place and had a great meal! Then went shopping and got some Fudge at one of the shops. Also stopped at the clock shop in Frankenmuth. It was nice getting away and seeing all the wonderful things there. Then we went back to Birch Run and went shopping at Birch Run. So many shopps there! Went to a Baptist Church in Birch Run. Hope this could be trip for you all!

Lots of construction going on...good price for the room... $20 for a Pet wasn't to happy about that Red roof offers free pet stays ,,internet need some major improving. Great breakfast.....nice indoor pool.

We booked on Priceline and were pleasantly surprised. Room was clean and the staff was extremely helpful and answered all questions during check in. The restaurant is more of a lobby bar, but the food was very good.

We loved this hotel. Even though it's under renovation, it was quiet, everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was great. Staff were extremely helpful, and we'd definitely stay again. We were in the main building, which was nice, so I'd recommend requesting that.

The rooms were ok... but we had an "upgraded room" and it was nothing to get excited about. We had stayed in another hotel in Chicago on the way to this one and it was much less expensive and a LOT nicer. We were given a courtyard room, but at one point you couldn't even open the door to the courtyard because the marijuana fog was so intense that you could barely breathe outside. When we first arrived, I noticed the smell of marijuana in the hall but wasn't positive, so i let it go. Then the courtyard incident confirmed what was going on. We stayed 3 nights. Our room wasn't cleaned on the second day. The third day it was cleaned at around 5:00pm. Both the second and third day we came back from being out with our hands full of stuff ready to get into our room and our key had been deactivated so some of us had to wait there while the other went to get the key reactivated. It was an ok place to stay, It has potential to be really cute, but I would easily pay more and stay somewhere else next time.

When reserving the room I requested a ground floor room with outdoor access. Upon arrival this is precisely what I received. Friendly service, clean room, and a hot shower were also the order of the day.

Hotel staff is amazing. They are under renovations but it did not bother us. I am pleased to see they are updating which means they take pride in there property. I cannot wait to return. It has become my go to area getaway every year. Spotless rooms, bar and grill on site, staff that goes above and beyond. What more could one ask for. We look forward to seeing you all very soon for our early Christmas shopping!

This hotel had obviously just been bought out.There was a lot of re-modelling going on. The rooms were a good size with in room bar fridge and two queen sized beds, one of which you could comfortably sleep on. The morning breakfast was all over the place, waffles and cereal at one place hot food around the corner and coffee over by the front desk. Everything tasted very salty. The staff were being trained but quite polite.Everyone greeted you with a smile and good morning but directions were very confusing.

This is an average place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were average clean. They could use a deep cleaning!! Under the bathroom sink and such, need a scrubbing. The only thing that was extremely bad....their internet service! We had a hard time getting a good connection, and would lose it midway through playing online! If they want to be competitive with other places, a good internet service is a must! But....the pool was really warm, which surprised us!

This is one of the most enjoyable stays in many years travel., The staff is one of the friendliest I have encountered. Nice remodeled rooms and the food was great. Located convientely of the interstate. Would have to rate a 5 star

I wish the front desk would have notified me that the elevators were not working when I reserved the room. If you have trouble negotiating stairs due to health reasons, this is something you would like to know.

Very large 2 story hotel. Older and tired motel that is undergoing some renovations but has a lot to go. Tried to check in 2 hours before official check in and was assigned to 2 different rooms that were not made up. An hour later the manager finally walked with me to a THIRD room to make sure it was made up. Pool and spa but spa jets not working. Fireplace lounge serves drinks and doubles as breakfast. Breakfast had typical items but no fresh fruit. Old carpets in room and hallways. Although the price was really low, I guess you do get what you pay for. I would not stay here again.

We had stayed here years ago when it was The Market Street Inn & The Exit Restaurant was part of the complex. Now the restaurant is under new management & different cuisine. They are upgrading the hotel to a 'Plus' but I'm not sure what improvements they are making. We stayed here 2 years ago & other than exterior painting (ongoing) & a newer section connected to the original building near the pool it is about the same. There are still several other blocks of units not attached & the pool is still the same (quite small).The breakfast area hasn't changed & the menu is the same as always. We got a room in the new building. It is clean & comfortable. The beds are very good & the bathroom is ok with the sink area outside in the room. My biggest complain & this goes for many hotels. The room designers (architects) placement of the toilet rolls make reaching them so difficult. One has to be either a contortionist or arms like a basketball player to reach them. As one gets older this creates a real issue. The hotel rate was very good for the time being. The staff is friendly & we would stay here in the future depending on how much the rate increases once the upgrades are completed.

Our private balcony was not cleaned from previous guests. Cigarette butts and cans left behind. Room and buildings could be cleaner. Renovations everywhere! Not just the arcade and weight room as listed on site. Outside doors other than main lobby not secured, anyone can walk in. I will be choosing a different hotel next time.

We arrived and thought we must be in the wrong place due to construction - entrances boarded up, front all dug up, dumpster. Inside was only slightly better. This was far more extensive than what was on their website that seemed to down play renovations. We supposedly had a new room, but doors didn't close without force, both room door and bathroom. The walk in shower flooded the bdthroom. There one desk chair or sit on the bed (not that there wasn't room that had been given over to entryway and sink), when a comfortable would have been a good addition (especially as one of the new room). The parking lot lights shone directly into the room. The hot tub had weak jets and sand in the bottom, as well the ramp to it was very slippery - after all people will have wet feet. The breakfast was below par, beginning with being broken up between 3 different area, the eggs and hashbrown lukewarm at best and to get tea I had to find someone (not an easy task) to ask for hot water. The renovations are obviously needed, this is an old motel that they are trying to give new life, but staying in a construction site was not what were looking for and would have appreciate a more honest disclaimer.
