« the hotel looks like a backpacker »

The hotel looked very old and not modern at all, stuffy room with smelly carpets. There is no night staff and if not for fellow travellers who opened for me, I would have stayed out till morning. totally different from the Neuchatel branch.

« Solid three star hotel. »

For the 'Bieler lauftage' I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. Close to the city center and train station the hotel is located on walking distance of lake Biel. The rooms are ok, nothing special. Air conditioning would be appreciated as it can be hot during June. The breakfast was good though the staff was not able to manage the big running crowd and sometimes the bread or juices were out of stock. The stud was really helpful and gave some good recommendations for restaurant. Ok hotel.

« Fantastic location and yummy breakfast buffet »

While visiting friends in Biel I chose to stay at this place, mainly because of its central location and free parking. The single bed room had a nice size. The bathroom was a bit squeeze, but worked ok. Room was clean and bright, no a/c though. The front desk staff was very friendly and check-in and check-out worked seemingly. The breakfast buffet was very good, from bio juices, to salmon and prossecco, and of course all the common breakfast offerings: scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, sausages, cheese, Nutella, jam, croissants, bread rolls.... This place is really good value for money in fantastic location (5 min walk to central train station).

« Not my first choice in Biel »

Stayed here on business as usual options full due to tour de France. Short walk from station but in the less salubrious part of town. Rooms don't have air con and on a 34degrees day were rather warm and opening balcony door only let in the noise from the busy main road. Bar area small and hot with average breakfast served in small restaurant where we had to wait for a table. If you do stay, take a walk down to the lakeside for a couple of nice places to eat.

    « Average »

Friendly stuff, very near located to the railway station. A bit disappointed though. The room was satisfyingly clean but the bathroom was pretty dirty. You could easily see the hair on the floor from the former guest and the mirrors were spotted by toothpaste stains, which is a no go for that prize. Summarized: average, but poor hygiene factors.

« Keep your stuff locked here »

Was in this hotel during my business trip. +: Good breakfasts, nice tv -: There were 2 separate beds in a double room and you could not move them together as they move away every time and you risk to fall on the floor. The sound of tubes is there every day and night, it is sometimes hard to sleep. The heating does not work, the room was cold as hell. Once I have forgotten my wallet in the room and when I got back home in the evening, there was no money in it. So, please, keep your stuff locked as maids clearly steal. Overall: Although breakfasts are really good, the money stealing has really upset me.

    « Very acceptable. »

I agree with all the strong points mentioned in the reviews, I would like to add that there is a very wide selection of TV channels including all the mainstream UK stations. The service was good as well when I needed to scan some documents. The place doesn't feel very upmarket but who cares if the room is comfortable and well equipped, anyway it is reflected in the price.

    « Very old »

To spend a night in Biel, I paid 128 CHF (about 120 €) to be one of the worst hotel in my life. I chose this hotel to stay near the station and to stay within the average of the cost we wanted to spend. The bathroom was old. The bidet was rusty and full of rust taps, the floor behind the bidet and toilet was dirty. I did not imagine I'd find a hotel like this in Switzerland. The only thing worth it was the breakfast. I have stayed in many European cities in good hotels for about € 120. This hotel is not worth more than € 60 per night.

    « Not 3 stars »

The place smells. Literally! Luckily I always pack Fabrise! Two single bed pushed togethe but only bedding for one bed (I had booked a single) There is no AC Room was hot. Could not open windows as the road is very noisy. There is a small portable fan but that did not help much. Good location but don't stay unless there is nothing else!

« Good location , reasonable rates, average rooms »

Reception staff are efficient if not effusive, staff in the restaurant a good deal friendlier and the breakfast is excellent . Theres also free coffee and fruit in reception. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the station , from the lake, from the cable car and the city centre so is ideally placed. The room was clean but very much like a student dorm. Cheap laminated furniture, nowhere to plug in a laptop or phone, styrofoam cups and a ridiculously large TV with terrible reception for such a small room. It's a reasonably priced hotel, and a good alternative to the more expensive Bern which is only a 30 minute train ride away.

    « 3 nights in Biel »

For the price all you need in a very nice bed which gives you a super nights sleep. Hotel follows up with a very good breakfast. Nothing earth shattering but good valuer and very close to the rail station (but not so close that you can hear it). TV has UK channels like BBC 1 and BBC 2. Free wifi and free use of pc AND printer in lobby.

    « Nice hotel »

The restaurante is quite good, you can leave your car in a private parking free of cjharge. The wifi is free also and is a pleasure hotel to stay. You have very good restaurants on the dock of the lake .
