Best Western Hotel Kantstrasse Berlin

Location of the hotel is really excellent, just next to U7 station "Wilmersdorfer str." and in two minutes walk from S-Bahn station "Charlottenburg". Plenty of restaurant, cafes, all kind of shops and bars around. The room was quite big and comfortable, bed was just perfect ! Breakfast was very good, large variety of cold and warm options, dozens loose teas which you can brew in a teapot. However, I was a bit surprised that room service was not regular, if you want to have your room cleaned, you have to ask for that at the reception. My room overlooked quite busy street, for me in was totally OK, but many people may feel serious discomfort of that. Breakfast was really very generous, but except of seldom variations, all the days the same.

I had an absolutely amazing holiday at this hotel. The buffet in the mornings is incredible, freshly made and so many items to chose from. Staff are so friendly and willing to help with any issues. The hotel reception area is currently being refurbished so I assume the hotel will be even better in the new year! I would definitely recommend Best Western and I would come back! Thank you for a lovely stay !

The hotel room is nice. But the receptionist (the plum lady) is unacceptable. She is racism and discrimination (I am from a country in Asia). It is my first time, being treated like such that way in my travel life. I will never come back to stay in this hotel or any Best Western hotel again. (to be clear, there is a young male receptionist, who handle our check in, but the lady in the receptionist during that time with her behavior is unacceptable) The hotel room is nice. Excellent service from parking the car to renting bikes. Large room, clean and light. Good breakfast and serviceminded staff. Easy access by car and a fine starting point for sightseeing. We give the hotel and the staff our best recommendation.

The location allows fir easy access to the city centre and has an abundance of restaurants and shops around it. On site parking (easy for small cars) is convenient. Great friendly staff. English and German speaking. Great rooms. Asian restaurants and supermarkets close by. Iranian, Turkish and Other fast food all around.

We stayed in this hotel because it was in a reasonable distance to Tegel airport. Around 10min by car. Hotel is next to the McDonalds and a lot of other restaurants are in a walking distance. Hotel was in best western standard. Nothing special and sophisticated. Just basic but clean and comfortable. For this price its a good choice if you need just to sleep one night.

We stayed there for three nights. The hotel was adequate for our needs. Good location near public transportation to everywhere. Good staff, clean though the room was a bit small for three people. The rate at this time of year is really good comparing to similar places

I was expecting a somewhat mediocre free breakfast buffet, but this was spectacular. The food was fresh and well prepared with a large assortment of choices. Highly recommend it! Very friendly staff as well.

This hotel is great! I loved the location. It's in an big street very close to the most important spots and also in front of the bus station and metro! I also loved the room and bed!! The breakfast is amazing!! The nicest was we could let the luggage there after our checkout!! Five stars for the hotel and equip!!

We decided to get away for a long weekend and went to Berlin , a really excellent city with plenty to see & do ., The hotel is in a great situtation & just beside the underground .The hotel staff were excellent very professional in their approach & duties , can really recommend this venue

Located on the main road near the underground station, I had additional ‘luck' with getting an adjecent room, which meant I could hear the person in the next room using the toilet, having phone calls, snoozing the alarm clock five times. Check-in took 10 mins, at check-out they tried to charge me for breakfast even though it was included in the pre-paid room rate. Rooms are clean and renovated, breakfast decent. Problems with wifi, staff not helpful with solving the issue. Overall vibe of the hotel is not good. Will not come back unless everything else in the neibourghood is fully booked (which was the case this time).

The location is perfect to visit the messe berlin with a reasonable shopping street next to this hotel. The rooms were very clean and above all the staff were very friendly and helpful at the reception. There is an excellent cafe next to the hotel cafe lait which serves great breakfast. The metro station is next door and this property is good value for a hotel in Berlin.

This hotel is in great location and the room was fine as the 4 star hotel. We have stayed for a week and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast is decent but had everything you may need in the morning. We will be back next year as usual.

The hotel is well located and the rooms are ok; however, there was a BIG problem; Our stay was just for business and No Internet coverage in our room, despite follow-ups, was never resolved! That is such a negative point for a hotel not being able to provide internet claiming that it has to do with the number of clients/users but it had the least to do with it. Simply, the nerwork was weak and did not reach the room. Hope for others it works!

My sister and I went for a citytrip to berlin and chose Best Western because normally it has a good reputation. Well except this one. Not worth a 4 stars! Room smelled like cigarettes and the staff.. not helpfull and very uninteressed, it seems like nobdy likes to work there. Never seen something like this before in a 4 star hotel. Also at the breakfast it was not refilled and when you ask for a refill you get a very rude answer! Not satisfied during the trip we will never ever come again to Best Western Kantstrasse!

Basic hotel located just next to Metro station. Very friendly staff. Decent breakfast served in the morning. Room had one of the smallest bedsheets I have ever seen - width of the sheet must have been less than 70cm - did not make the sleep comfort to be one of the best ones I have been to.

We stayed two nights, doorkeeper non-existent both evenings, even the second night at 12.30 we went back to the hotel, and we found it closed at the door, so we played and waited 20 minutes outside. Eventually they opened up some guys who were inside. In the morning you can not sleep by the noise of cars and the room staff. € 4.50 for a small bottle of 0.50 water. NO FRIDGE BAR IN THE ROOM! The water of the sink is hot at night, but the breakfast is decent, but very salty! At breakfast there is a waitress who pulls and slams things on the tables as if annoyed by the presence of the guests. I had asked for the berries at 10.15 in the morning, and in a rude way he answered me NO! I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

I recently stayed at this hotel whilst I was attending a large international conference at Messe City Cube. The room was booked by my workplace so I was not given a lot of choice in the booking process. Whilst the room and linen were clean, bed comfortable I wasn't particularly happy here and actually checked out and relocated at my own expense 2 nights early and moved to another hotel closer to the city center where I was much happier. The room was stuffy, no air conditioning, as previously mentioned by others, I thought this would not be such an issue in October however it was still warm in Berlin and due to being located on the main road it was too noisy to open the window. It was also noisy when people were coming and going from their rooms and from music playing nearby, ? from cafes, restaurants nearby. Also when I arrived I had 4 pillows on my bed as it was a double/ king bed but when housekeeping realised I was travelling on my own they removed 2 of the pillows and the second single doona which looked very sad on the bed when I was already feeling somewhat isolated and lonely in a strange city a long way from home. They also removed the second bath towel leaving me a single towel which seemed to me to be very mean spirited and overly frugal particularly since my organisation had paid for a double room. there was also no fridge in the room and the amount of tea, coffee provided was minimal to say the least. The staff were pleasant enough if perfunctory but certainly didn't stand on their head to make a visitor feel at home. Location was convenient for public transport but this in itself would not persuade me to stay at this hotel on another occasion. Whilst I would love to revisit Berlin for leisure with my husband I would not consider staying at this hotel.

I chose this hotel as I had stayed here about 8 years ago. It was much different than I remember, especially the fact that they do not have air conditioning. I have read several reviews and this was a key complaint so I won't discuss much other than not having the AC was a downer. On the flip-side, the staff did bring us each a fan to help with circulating the air. I was afraid to leave the window open all night due to the noise and the construction. Overall, the room was comfortable and the hotel itself, is very close to transportation and other sites. I wouldn't say not to stay there, but be aware of the AC issue.

Very bad service, there is a blond waitress in a breakfast room who is not polite, she answers only in German, she is not kind, she badly stares at you. In the room there isn't the fridge and the matrimonial bad is composed of two single bed. It is very uncomfortable! The bathroom is very small. The price is not good for the service and the room.

Terrible experience! No air conditioning, so I had to choose between keeping the windows closed and melting inside the bedroom, or opening the windows and being attacked by mosquitoes, having the risk of someone entering the room at night because you can have easy access to the windows on the first floor, and dealing with the outside noise that keeps you awake. Speaking of noise, the elevator was absurdly loud. It appeared as if someone was hammering a nail to the wall, all night long. When I called reception they appeared to know about that but said that it's just how it was and they couldn't do nothing. No fridge in the room. The pillows were extremely soft. The TV led was too bright and was lighting up the entire bedroom at night. The free wi-fi was so bad that I preferred to use my cell phone as a hotspot. I requested a king size bed on my reservation and they gave me twin beds. Even the mineral water had a bad taste. I would rename the hotel to “Worse Western”.

Good hotel. Good service. Good breakfast. A really nice place to stay. However, it is a little bit far from city center (if we could consider that Berlin has one city center). At least, far from places to visit (except Charlottesbourg Castle). If you don't care about long distances (you would hace to take public transport) its ok.

This is a medium size best western hotel at the heart of Berlin. The staff are great in hospitality , rooms very clean and warm in the dead of winter. The location is - central Charlottenburg in the neighborhood of the affluent Berlin giving one multiple options for late shopping( Wilmersdorfer strasse - wibersdorfer Acaden)and diverse but 24 dining outlets. From an English back ground, you appreciate the attempt by the Berliners to speak English and being helpful. The hotel organises a full day site tour. You are picked from 9.30 am and taken through the rich and deep seated history dating back in the 13th century through the cold war and the 1990 historical down fall of the famous Berlin wall. A hallmark of this hotel is the rich variety of 5 star breakfast led by a very youthful chef with the flow of service elements by a small but organised staff. The reception from check in very efficient and friendly with ready answers to random questions . Overall very good value for money.

We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was spacious, very clean and fairly well equipped. The hairdryer was better than in many hotels. The downside for us was simply there was not enough tea and coffee supplies in our room and when we asked for more we got one sachet each brought to our room, no extra sugar or milk. There was coffee in reception but it was often cold and again, no milk or sugar when we needed it. For the English visitor, this should really be improved. However, very comfortable stay. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the zoo and other attractions, hop on hop off bus, etc but the U and S bahn are just around the corner, making it easy to get around this large city. Very good restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Best Western for a few days due to a business trip and I can totally recommend it! It is really central so you have a lot of restaurants and shops right around the corner. The bed was really comfortable. An afternoon we had to use the lobby as an office and the staff was so welcoming and helpful! The breakfast had a great selection - you could even make your own waffles! Because we stayed here over the 6th of December we even got a little chocolate goodie bag at the door.

My wife and I visited this hotel on our first trip to Berlin and I would stay here again. On arrival we were given a free upgrade and the room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is situated in the Charlottenburg area which is a little quite than the centre of Berlin. However the transport links are excellent with bus stops outside the hotel and S & U train stations just a few yards walk. Breakfast has various options and was very nice. Setting us up for a long day sightseeing. There is also a small bar if you fancy a nightcap. Would use thus hotel again when we return to Berlin

I come to Berlin on business several times a year and always stay here. The rooms are meticulous and the location is perfect. Local shopping, restaurants and easy public transportation access right outside. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Berlin.

Pros: Good location, comfortable beds, clean, good breakfast Cons: The staff! I always felt like the invisible man when approaching the front desk, even if there were up to 3 guys there busy talking to each other. And when I finally got their attention it was clear that they didn't want to help solve my problem (buy something from the bar) but just wanted me to go away. I'd never return to this hotel as there a plenty of options in Berlin.

Such a horrible experience at this hotel. I arrived at the hotel at 10pm on a Tuesday, only to be told that I had no booking. Even though I had a booking confirmation and money had been taken out of my account. I understand that accidents happen/overbookings happen, no worries. But when I kept showing them my confirmation, the three guys at the front desk didn't want to help me, asked me to leave and said they couldnt help me anymore. One guy even said "Sorry, I'm just a trainee so I cannot help you more". I had to call hotel.com and get it sorted. Hotels.com called the hotel while I was there and the guys were telling hotels.com "Sorry, I cannot talk right now we're very busy right now serving customers and I'm the only one at the front desk" - obviously a lie. I'm a super easy going Aussie girl, and if they made an overbooking then super fine,accidents happen and we could have together sorted it out but the fact that they were just super rude, tried to tell me they haven't recieved payment when it was taken from my account, abused me (swore at me numerous times) and didn't get me any respect or help was just shocking. I really hope the hotel owner knows about his staff members treating customers like this and I hope no one has the same experience as I did.

Welcoming and exceptional staff at BW Kantstr. Great rooms, finally humane prices for luxury comfort. Over the top breakfast buffet and superb service through excellent Management of Staff member Mrs. Schütz. Everything over the top very clean and extra accommodations available day and night (as the friendly and caring reception is available 24h a day). One of the best stays in a long time.

We booked a double room three months beforehand. When we arrived there was only a twin room free. We explained that it wasn't our fault and were told that it would be an extra €20 for a double room as it was a better room. We complained and the charge was dropped. The room wasn't much better than the original one. No mini bar or aircon ) it was 30 degrees), only a 500ml bottle of water at €4.50. On the positive side, it's right by the S-Bahn station, we were given a free drink voucher at the bar, and the breakfast is fantastic.

As a BW reward card holder I was looking for a break in late May. My initial dismay at finding only 2 of the 8 or so Berlin hotels were available. This one appeared to be a bit far out. All I can say is my dismay was misplaced. Great central location in Charlottenburg. Great for bus and metro services. Nice restaurants in the area. Bike hire from the hotel. We asked for a quiet room and that is what we got. Room was large, well appointed and clean. if I had one complaint it was the room was hot but Berlin was sweltering in 30 degree heat... aircon would have been nice but I am being too picky.

Very Nice hotel,very close to subway and railway station,and also at a short walk from shops and restaurants. Very good connected to Most tourist areas. Rooms are very clean,confortable beds and very nice personnel.

Hotel is situated about 15 minutes from all the major sites. There is a shopping district right outside the hotel to include an H&M, T.J Maxx, and places to eat. The hotel room was nice, except that they have my Wife and I two separate beds. My only complaint about the hotel was that the maid's didn't do a thorough job cleaning the room. The first night we checked I found a huge turd left in the toilet and the second day they didn't collect all of our trash even though we left it by the trash can. Also I had to call for extra towels (they only had one in the room). Overall I would recommend staying here.

What a gem of a hotel. Doesnt look much from the front but is lovely inside. Reception staff so helpful. Rooms spacious, one of the comfiest beds I have stayed in. Immaculate. Great breakfast. Nice location, lots of shops around and restaurants (a lot of chinese / japanese / thai which looked great). Easy to travel around Berlin, U and S Bahn stations literally round the corner, and so easy on the bus to get to and from Tegel airport (about a 20 minute journey on the 109). Great stay, would def return. We loved Berlin, first and def not last visit. Christmas markets on most streets you turn in to, so festive. Berlin really go the extra mile with christmas, the lights everywhere look amazing. Deffo recommend booking to visit the Reischtag if you have time, free entry but you have to book online. Great views across the city and a really helpful audio telling you about all the different sights.

Ascetic design, No A/C, No heating, No carpets, Dirty toilet bowl. Very disappointed from the room organization as management claim that it is a Green Hotel. Also, they refused to credit points in my BW member account - claiming that I didn't booked direct with them.

Easy to travel from the main rail station to the hotel using the S bahn. Helpful reception staff. Room was very comfortable with large king sized bed. Breakfasts were very enjoyable. Wide choice. Would stay again

Stayed here on a bed and breakfast tarriff. Lovely clean hotel,friendly staff, amazing breakfast and best of all so central for everything with the train station just around the corner. I would highly recommend

The hotel staff were all fabulous, very polite and professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice of hot and cold items. Very handy for subway and close to shops and a decent Italian restaurant along the street. Lovely big bed and good shower - all in all a very good choice. The only slight negative is that the hotel doesn't have air conditioned rooms but I do know they will lend you a fan for the room if asked. I fact they will helped in any way if asked!

Room is spacious and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Nice shower. Good breakfast. Close to train station, good location, close to shops and restaurants. The only thing that was a bit weird was that there was no extra bed for our son, so all three of us had to share the bed which was gigantic but neverthless, we would've preferred to have had a separate bed for the little one.

Well situated hotel in Charlottenburg. Subway station arround the corner with easy access to public transport to fair grounds and downtown. Clean and modern rooms. Very friendly staff ! Nice German-style Breakfast buffet..

Good experiences - location is good from reaching point of view - the hotel is clean, comfortable - staff was helpful and nice Bad experiences - unfortunately the restaurant was under reconstruction therefore we had to eat on the 5th level. Basically the hotel did everything to make us it comfortable but of course this is not what you expect at these places :( - location is bad from security point of view. I didn't feel really safe. On the streets there were too many 'bad faces'. But i don't know whether it was by chance or it is because of the area itself

We booked this hotel through Smartbox. Location is quite convenient right in front of the metro. However it is far from the center and the touristy places. The rooms are getting old and need refreshing. The staff is not really friendly. We did not try the breakfast.

Good hotel, perfect location near shopping centres, restaurants and the U-bahn, but no aircondition, the room was increadably warm - stay away from this place in summer time! Breakfast was average, one morning there was bacon, next morning no bacon

Perfect location for short city break.easy and convenient transport links to city centre and Potsdam. Check in was smooth, hotel was clean and included breakfast had plenty of choice and good coffee. A good choice if you are looking for somewhere as a base for exploring Berlin.

The hotel was excellent value, when booked as package from Manchester with EasyJet. Staff were helpfull and friendly rooms were excellent and breakfast was a full cooked breakfast or continental breakfast on self service. This is the secont time Ive stayed at this Hotel and would recommend it without hesitation for value and service

Normally that sort of thing wouldn't bother me but it was like sleeping in a pizza oven at night. Real shame. The staff are fantastic though and the breakfast incredible with a huge variety, don't however expect full English type of thing. Get a travel card and public transport will drop you right outside. Overall very good.

Nice, clean hotel comfy bed and nice shower. Breakfast is good as well. Walking distance to Charlottenburg station, which has direct train to Schoenefeld airpot. (ticket 3.30 EUR, you will need ticket to zones ABC.) Overall satisfied with the hotel, staff was helpful and effective at check in. Shame, the wifi is useless. Slow, and regularly disconnects in the room. In the lobby, its hardly any signal.

We had seen it was convenient for the S-bahn and U-bahn. It certainly was. We arrived at Schenefeld airport and caught a train direct to Charlottenburg S-bahn station. From there is was a short walk to the hotel. An observation that might be useful : the pavements were very even and did not put any stress on the wheels on our luggage. Immediately outside the hotel is the U-bahn and also a bus stop into town. We bought day tickets to get aroun as we find it nice to be able to jump on a bus, even for short trips, to save our legs. The bus system is great as there doesn't appear to be a lot of traffic (compared to London). Back to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have any problems with language, so well done to them and shame on me. The room was large than we were expecting and well appointed: TV, free wifi, coffee/tea making (with real china mugs). There was no air-con, but the reception were very quick in getting us a fan. The breakfast was well stocked with a selection of hot and/or cold. There's also a coffee pot in reception for getting a quick fix as you get back from your journeys. There are plenty of nice restaurants in the area and there's also a McD just outside if thats you scene. All in all a very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much

very nice neighborhood, the hotel is close to the center, not expensive, it works!! I haven't have any kind of issue whatsoever. I've enjoyed very much breakfast, great offer and was open until late, so very much appreciate it

hotel , room was clean , breakfast was ok staff were nice location was good for shops & restaurants their was a McDonald's downstairs as well from hotel which was handy for a snack on way back from pub !! There wasn't many pubs about that we seen , we did go to one about a 20 min walk from hotel was a Irish bar & it was massive with a good band on diffract band each night , was always busy its in the Europa centre , overall good hotel

This hotel was very comfortable, offered parking in a very tight parking garage entry and an automated parking under ground. A very interesting experience parking the park as it was the first time we had come across a parking garage like that! The hotel was conveniently located a block from the tram and the underground with a lot of restaurant options nearby.

Had great long weekend - hotel was excellent, room really comfortable & quiet, breakfast was really good with a wide variety of hot & cold food plus freshly ground coffee & lots of teas. Staff were extremely helpful. Makes an ideal base to explore Berlin

This is quite a small hotel on Kantsrasse in the Charlottenburg area of West Berlin. It is very handy for the S-Bahn or the U-Bahn, or the 109 bus from Tegel airport. The rooms are attractive and modern. The breakfast is very good, with plenty of hot and cold selections. This was the fifth time I've stayed here - and will do so again.

We can highly recommend this hotel for a weekend stay. It is well positioned for the tubes and buses to the Christmas markets and historical sights and also the shops and restaurants nearby are worth a look. It's also next door to MacDonalds if you need a quick snack or milk for the tea or coffee provided in the room. We found the room to be comfortable, well equipped and clean. The reception staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was above our expectations for the price we paid. All in all very enjoyable and well done to the team.

The hotel is very nice and can easily be reached by public transport as the S-station is in walking distance. There are several unique pubs restaurants nearby as well as excellent shopping facilities.

We booked a family room and explained there would be three of us staying (my son is twelve) but were fobbed off on arrival with a 'disability access' room on the first floor with an extra pillow thrown on the bed! When we complained at reception we were informed we could not have another room (or cot bed) until (maybe) the next day and that it was common practice for children up to the age of FIFTEEN to share a bed with mum and dad in German hotels?!? As we were staying with friends in the same hotel and it was my wife's fortieth birthday the next day, we decided to make the best of what we had, but all had a horrendous nights sleep (I resorted to sleeping on the floor at one point). In their defence, the hotel staff moved us to a proper family room the next day (with three beds) and even moved all the balloons we had blown up the night before with our luggage, but it spoiled things for us and took the shine off our break. I wish they had just come clean the night before and admitted there was a problem with our booking or room and not tried to bluff us with the 'three in a bed' rubbish. Apart from this the hotel was clean and breakfast fine with a good selection to choose from and has a bus stop / metro station yards from the door. Walking to the main bus station near the zoo takes about 20-25 mins and this is where all the Insider Tour excursions meet - which are great and highly recommended! The area around the hotel has lots of restaurants and small shops but isn't what you'd call 'picturesque' - I don't think I'd fancy going for a midnight stroll there . . . Generally the hotel staff (especially the young ladies) aren't very friendly or approachable but that seemed to go for everyone we met in Berlin on this trip, unfortunately (apart from the tour guides who were Irish and American!) - perhaps they are fed-up of drunk foreigners filling the Christmas fairs or there is too much 'history' - I don't know . . . either way, on the strength of this visit, I probably won't be returning to Berlin and definitely NOT the Best Western Kantstrasse.

Comfortable and spacious room, good breakfast, small bar and 50 metres from the underground. Good range of redtaurants within walking distance. The wifi was so slow and unreliable that it would be an affront to a third world country...

I'm not sure how this hotel is 4*, I was completely underwhelmed when I arrived. The staff on reception aren't too friendly, they didn't have much knowledge when it came to giving us directions or general information. The room is decorated nicely, but the cleanliness could be improved. This wasn't too much on an issue, but for a 4* hotel I wasn't pleased that I needed to wipe the bath and sideboards! Also, the mattress and pillows are not comfortable. They feel cheap. Also, the breakfast selection is very disappointing. On our first night we experienced drunken shouting from other guests around 12am, which was unsettling! On the plus side, the location is good. You can walk to nearby attractions (like the zoo or photography museum). The website advertises that you are a 20 minute walk from local attractions, but it's probably 40-50 minutes. You are also surrounded by food places, such as McDonald's, Domino's and Starbucks if that's your thing. There's also plenty of bakeries where you can buy German pastries and cakes. I wouldn't stay here again, mainly because I want to be in a different area of Berlin and the hotel wasn't outstanding. Overall, it was fine for our 3 night stay.

Our check in was smoothly however, the staff were not kind at all. no smile, cant explain politely to our question. They do have lack of information for general info about Berlin. The rooms were small, didn't expected that. I felt it is bigger of how it looks in the photos. Its difficult to to walk if you have 2 mid size bags, which one will be on the floor. There was no air condition in the room and this is negative thing which I felt its not a 4 star standard. The beds weren't comfort same to the pillows. The only positive thing was the hotel location. tube, train and bus is next to the door.

Superb 3 night stay in a fantastic hotel, great breakfast... Me and my dad visited the historic sites great restaurants as well.room and staff excellent.. Staff knowledge of sites and tube trains very good. Hotel map was priceless... Only negative is airport ticket machines for transport were temperamental regards notes...not best Western fault. I stress to add....

Hello- I stayed at this hotel for one night with my father. It was an enjoyable stay. Pros: - the hotel seems renovated or newer. - the beds and pillows were very very nice and comfortable. Easy to sleep a long time there. - the bathroom was clean and nice (shower only, no tub) - the hotel is located feet away from the U-Bahn and S-bahn trains. Hop the S-bahn for an easy trip to downtown Berlin (25 minutes), reichstag building, and Brandenburg gate. Checkpoint Charlie and sections of the Berlin wall are a 20 minute walk from there (or you can hop a bus too). - the breakfast had both European and American foods, including scrambled eggs and bacon, as well as other breads, meats, cheeses, etc. I thought it was pretty good offering for hotel food. - there is a McDonald's next door, if you are into that, or a variety of other smaller shops and restaurants nearby. Cons: - there was no view out the window from the lower room we were in. Be sure to watch the time. A number of stores and shops in the area don't stay open very late and are closed Sunday's. I would stay there again.

I have arrived to Berlin around 6 PM, the hotel was very small, the rooms was very small too, poor wi-fi and when i asked about they just answered its same in all rooms, the rooms doesn't have any minibar or air condition, just a bottle of water for 4.5 euro !!!!

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. There were coffee/tea making facilities in the room, which is a bonus in Europe. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The position of the hotel is excellent from Tegel Airport; only about 5-6 miles, £12 taxi. Not worth using public transport. It is situated just west of the centre but there are "S" rail and "U" underground stations with 2 minutes walk, trains going to the centre in 15 mins. There are some pleasant local Italian restaurants close by. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those travelling to Berlin.

Visited in August 2015 for three nights. Because Berlin is such a big city it is difficult to determine just where its heart is so therefore we can only say the situation of this hotel is a train ride (5 minutes) from a main shopping area. There are some bars and restaurants within walking distance but visitors will need guidance on the proximity..The hotel itself was clean with the staff welcoming, exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room size adequate with clean white linen and refreshment making facilities. We cannot rate the hotel better than avarage because it lacks air conditioning. During our stay the outside temp was about 26c which resulted in a room temperature in excess of this. Even with windows open and a fan running continuously sleeping was a challenge. Our requested quiet room was on the fifth floor overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast was nothing special but adequate. Install air con and up their game on breakfast this could be a great place to stay.

It is situated on one of the main avenues into central Berlin. There is a bust stop at the main door (E2.70 into town), a U-Bahn station over the road and an S-Bahn station around the corner from where one can travel to all corners of the city. Rooms are modern and very well appointed. Beds are very comfortable. There is no air conditioning however which on very warm / humid nights makes for a less then sound sleep. Staff are all very friendly, helpful and multi-lingual. Breakfast fare is excellent, there is something for everyone. There are also some very nice restaurants within 2/3 minutes walk.

Dont get the room i have booked get a room in an other hotel ,why dont they call or email about that it whas the worst night ever the room was not clean and no aircondition no more Best Western for me
