Best Western Hotel Piemontese

The property is very close to the central train station, why I selected it, and that I needed a reliable short home base to drop luggage. In this the BW Piemontese did not disappoint. The room and bathroom was a bit on the small side, but fully functional, with decor and furnishings (including the comfortable bed) chosen from the "Halloween pallet." Front desk service was impeccable and the WIFI rock-solid. Odd color choices aside, I would definitely stay here again.

From Bergamo Airport, we took the bus, paid 3 euros per person and got off almost right across the hotel. Train station is 1 min to walk from hotel. Check in was easy, spacious room and bathroom. Nice flushing toilet, hot shower, comfy bed, stores and restaurants nearby. Download google maps on your mobile, no internet needed, gps will take you places for food or stores. In the morning, we left out luggage at hotel (luggage room) after check out, while we went sightseeing around. Overall, pleasant and relaxing experience.

Best Western Hotel Piemontese is a solidly constructed building -- it has to be, we were not disturbed by the traffic on the 2 busy streets below. With that traffic, though, comes convenience. The Hotel is directly across a small piazza from Bergamo's central train station, and right across the street from a major bus line to the beautiful Citta' Alta. The rooms, while not particularly large, are well-organized and comfortable. The front desk staffers are welcoming and cordial. Perhaps the best feature is the very ample breakfast served by a fine staff including Patrizia, who is personable, attentive and helpful -- and remembered us from our previous stay there 10 months before. With our family connection in Bergamo, we hope to stay at the Hotel Piemontese again.

Large group of family and friends stayed for 4 nights for a wedding in the area. The hotel location is perfect for visiting Bergamo and the surrounding area. The rooms are excellent and clean, the staff at reception and breakfast area are super friendly and efficient and elped in making the stay memorable. The hotel is close to all transport buses etc and perfect for a short stay in this lovely city.

They can't be a 4 star hotel. We booked a room for one night before flying out from Bergamo and we couldn't have regretted it more. We arrived at the afternoon after a long trip so we checked in and left our luggage in the room. When we entered the room we smell bleach and smoke from cigarettes but we thought that maybe the cleaning lady was smoking while cleaning the room. We opened the window and quickly went to a close by restaurant as we were really hungry. Once we returned to the room and opened the door we instantly smell a strong scent of cigarettes and the smell of bleach was gone. The more we stayed in the room the worse it got. As we were disgusted with the smell and couldn't breathe we went to the reception and informed them of the situation (Please note that the room was for no-smokers and had a sign of such on the door). They said that they can't do anything as we should've told them the first 5mins of us getting in the room and therefore we were stuck there. At night my partner opened the window but the smell couldn't go away, she ended up vomitting in the bathroom. She went down to the reception told them about it but again they said they couldn't do anything. Then at approximately 5am in the morning we packed everything and went to their breakfast hall and we slept there. It was the worst stay we had in all our lives and we wasted €83 to this filthy hotel. All our clothes including the ones in our suitcases as well as our expensive coats smelled like cigarettes. We contacted booking.com and they got in touch with the hotel, which claimed that the room was fine and didn't smell at all therefore refusing a refund. Thankfully booking.com took note of the complaint and gave us a discount for our next stay, but please be aware that these people are jokes! FYI: Room we stayed was 101.

I select this hotel for my first time in Bergamo, actually was one day of stay and then travel to other place, I chose it for the location but I ended feeling like home, nice people in the front desk, makes me feel excellent and welcome. Thanks because it was the beginning of a business trip and I started with great energy!

Excellent location in Bergamo. Across from the train station to go into Milano. Hotel has private parking and is very clean and rooms are wonderful. Easy to drive to, right off A 7, and you can take the funicular to up to the old city of Bergamo.

Even though this hotel is located by a large roundabout, none of that noise Carrie's through to the room and we enjoyed a nice, quiet night. It's located ideally for visitors, less than a 2 minute walk from the main train and bus stations. It was easy to walk to the funicular to visit old town and the staff were all very nice.

Terrible Staff . Hotel and room not good, not bad. Good localisation. But.... first impression - the receptionist when we arrived informed us that price will be much higher than we paid by Booking.com. When we showed her our confirmation from Booking.com, she said that price in hotel is different and we have to pay more in cash. If not she will not give us keys.. So we decided to change hotel but...receptionist charged our credit card (which was in Booking.com quarantee) and said that if we leave, payment will not be back. So we had choice - leave with 180 Euro lose or pay additional extra 20 Euro and stay. We paid 20 in cash ( 180 Euro she charged by Credit card) and ask for the invoice. Woman in the reception informed us that invoice will be ready in one hour. We came after one our to collect invoice but... she said that we have to pay 20 Euro again because she does not remember that we did it before. It was enough for us. When I started calling for the police, the receptionist suddenly agreed that we paid additional money in cash and gave us invoice. Bergamo Italy Hotel Best Western. Terrible. They know how to destroy your stay....

This is a very good hotel. Even though we drove to Bergamo, if you were to take the train there, it's right across the street from the train station. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and the bathroom was clean. If you drive there, parking is a little tricky so you might want the hotel to send you a parking map to make things easier. The hotel is about a 20 minute to the funicula which takes you to the historic center. Even though we were told the lower, more modern Bergamo, isn't all that nice, we found it quite wonderful as there are a lot shops and cafes on your way to the ancient city.

We stayed here for one night on our way north for summer vacation. We were happy with our room: clean, comfortable bed, good shower, helpful and friendly staff at reception. This hotel is near the train station, but it was very quiet. We drove here, and finding the covered parking lot was a bit of a challenge. However, we were happy to have secure covered parking as it meant we did not have to bring all our stuff from the car to the hotel. The hotel is a short walk from a great shopping area in the lower city and not too far from the funicular that goes to the upper city. I would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Bergamo.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, as it was close to the train & bus station with good connections. Even walking diatance from Cittá Bassa. Reception staff was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very fresh with lots of variety and Dorota made it an unforgettable experience. Also the restaurant attached to the hotel called "Sapore Puro" was great value for money! Last, but not least, I really liked the gym on the 5th floor; the view was amazing!!!

I have never been treated in such a terrible and humiliating way in a hotel in my entire life, even though I travel regularly for work and pleasure and I stay in all sorts of hotels, including allegedly four star hotels such as Best Western Hotel Piemontese. Without any notice or information, I was thrown out of the hotel with my 3-year old son, my luggage and personal belongings having been packed into trash/laundry bags that awaited me at the reception desk after my return from a day out. The receptionists alleged I had inflicted damage to the room and was denied access to the hotel. They did not explain the nature of the alleged damage. My son did pee accidentally in the night in the bed (which was protected by a mattress protection) and a bit on the floor. I took the bed sheets off to dry. I cannot see how this would amount to any damage and even if, there are polite ways to address this kind of matters with the customer rather than throw them away and pack and throw their very personal belongings in plastic bags. I was denied any opportunity to discuss with the hotel manager and I was shouted at by extremely rude reception desk staff. Needless to say, I was offered no assistance in relocating to another place, and this on a rainy December night (with a kind and luggage). Thanks to this experience, I will never ever stay in a Best Western hotel again, and I will continue to strongly discourage my contacts and friends from booking a stay at the Bergamo hotel.

The hotel was well placed for travellers and not far from old town, bus station and railway line. The staff were most helpful and although the room was a little bit dated it was still very clean and tidy.

My friend was very inspired when he choose to make reservation for this hotel ! The position it Makes to be in my opinion the best choice for a cjty-break visit . Only 15 min from Airport , 1 min to railway Station , 3 min from downtown , 15 min until funiculare , what could be better ! And by the way , the restaurant the small one from entrance is the best ! You must to drink a beer & ristreto as soon as you arrived :) . The staff is warm and the room was clean & enough from space perspective ! Breakfast - Go to eat in another place ! It's better ! Great Hotel/ Great Staff/ Great Location. We needed a hotel on the way back to Bergamo Airport and we chose Best Western Hotel Piemontese. It was truly outstanding. Close to railway and bus station and within walking distance of shopping and dining areas. Also gave easy access to Cite Alte which is our favourite part of Bergamo. This is our 10th time staying here and I would recommend it.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights. The hotel is very clean, Staff goes out of there way to help you and always with a smile. Excellent location. Continental breakfast with good choice of pastries. Definitely will stay again

WE arrived with my son by train to Bergamo from Venice last February. We wanted to visit Bergamo because it is known to be a very beautiful city with an antique city on top of the mountain and a very interesting modern city located upon the valley. This hotel is one block from the Bergamo local train station (ferrovia), and that makes it one of the best located hotels in Bergamo. It is well-serviced, with a very polite and helpful staff which speaks English, and Spanish. We stayed here in a three-day visit to Bergamo and we enjoyed very much the hotel because of its comfortable rooms, with two double queen beds, and a great variety of amenities, like coffee-maker, fridge, and snacks. (some of this stuff for free) The breakfast is very good and well served, and it is very varied. On top of that, the Pope Giovanni XXIII Street is across the street and it has bus stops from where you can take the number 1A line to go to the "Citta Alta" or antique city of Bergamo, where the history of this beautiful city began. Otherwise, you can go to the end of the street and take the FUNICULAR to go up to the CITTA VECCHIA. We decided to go by bus. You can buy the bus tickets at the Tobacco Stores (tabaccheria). The bus takes you up the hill until the end of the line. Once there, you must search for and old entrance in the wall, which goes to the center Piazza of Bergamo Antique City. Here you will find souvenirs, shops, bars, restaurants, pizzerias. You must visit the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore and the Campanile in front of it. Amazing places to go.

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times. The rooms are always spotless. The staff are very polite and helpful on every visit we meet Beartrise the receptionist who goes out of her way to facilitate us, nothing is a problem for her and the rest of the staff. It's right by the bus station and 15 minutes from the airport

We arrived early evening without pre booking, receptionists were very helpful and always with a smile. Rooms were very comfortable with very good sized bathroom. Breakfast was very good. We also tried the pizzeria of the hotel, food and service was fantastic. The parking is very near the hotel. Position of hotel very central. Really enjoyed our night stay here.

I have to confess that I am no fan of Best Western; in fact I happen to think that it is the kiss of death to most hotels. One of my homes is next door to a prime example in Krakow where they have taken a beautiful Belle Époque building and turned it into a dentist's waiting room. Another favourite hotel of mine, an Art Deco one on Miami was similarly stripped of any vestige of character and one into which I had booked in Kent was full of plastic flowers so we left. Not so the ‘Piedmontese'!! This hotel exemplified everything a hotel should be. Primarily the welcome of the wonderful staff, especially Beatrice on reception, who arranged a late check out after our flight was rescheduled, and the great waiters and waitresses in Sapore Puro (a cut above most hotel restaurants by any standard) The room was spotless and very brightly decorated with fabulous vivid orange tiles in the bathroom. A great view to the bustle of the station square topped it all off. Hugely recommended!

Stayed here in September the hotel itself is very convenient as facing train station we preferred to stay here and visit Milan. The hotel is spotless and the staff on reception are very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. Bergamo itself is well worth a visit great shopping and the citta Alta old town is breathtaking. Some lovely restaurants nearby.

The hotel is located right across the square from the central train station. Despite the location, it was very quiet and comfortable to walk around. Pros: - Good quality bed with good mattress for sound sleep in the night - Decent size of the room for a European hotel - Friendly and helpful staff - Nice cafe downstairs with coffee, croissants, Aperol Spritz, etc. - what else would you need? BTW, the room rate doesn't include the breakfast which is 7eur extra, which didn't seem to be worth it, having such nice cafe right downstairs Cons - The bathroom was rather cold - the heater was switching on and off unpredictably, and the shower was not completely enclosed, which resulted in water all over the bathroom floor. If not this inconvenience, I'd rate it as 5 out 5.

A well located hotel, close to railway station and on main thoroughfare for the relatively short walk up to the citta alta. Breakfast is adequate and staff at reception friendly and polite. To improve, please don't claim to have a mini bar when there are only two bottles each of acqua naturale and acqua frizzante in the fridge. Water should always be complimentary and it leaves a bad feeling when there is no price list in the room for the so called “mini bar” and you are charged three times the retail price for a bottle of fizzy water on checkout. At least the empathetic receptionist was quick to apologize, but at over 100 Euro a night without breakfast, I am sure a choice of complimentary bottles of acqua naturale and/or frizzante won't dent the profit margins too much.

Great location - directly across the street from the train station. Convenient if you plan a trip to Milan. Crisp appearance and clean/colorful room. Breakfast was perfectly fresh. Would recommend! No issues with staff.

This Hotel is located in the heart of Bergamo with parking underground and nearby. The Train Station is 2 minutes across the road also. Room was modern and clean and we had no problems at all. The service was good also and concierge was friendly and welcoming.

I stayed at the Best Western Piemontese for one night in late July 2018. This is a very pleasant and good hotel. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of the city across the street from the train station. There is a bus stop (Bus 1A) across the street from the hotel that travels to the old part of the city. The hotel is also located within walking distance to the funicular station. My hotel room was clean and smelled good. The bed was comfortable and had clean sheets and comfortable pillows. The room had a safe deposit box, flat screen TV with English channels and free wi-fi that worked well. My room was in the front of the building facing the train station. With the windows shut, my room was quiet, and I was able to sleep well. The room has good quality double pane windows that provide good sound proofing. The breakfast at the hotel was good and had a variety of food items (hot and cold). The restaurant and hotel lobby have a very nice artistic décor. The lobby area is a very cute and comfortable space to spend time relaxing. The staff was warm, welcoming, and friendly. The staff was professional and provided me with guidance in navigating the city. I had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at the Best western Piemontese. I recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

We stayed here for one night in order to be near the station (100 metres) for a very early train. The room wasn't huge but it was comfortable, cool, and had a large, well-appointed bathroom. Everything was clean and the furnishings were tasteful. A couple of things let them down slightly: the bar/restaurant which is closed on Sundays, and the poorly stocked tea and coffee tray in the room itself - there was only one coffee sachet and only one creamer. Staff were professional and friendly.

We went here after 23 hour, so we stood just a few hours. We had early in morning airplane so at 6.50 i was at breakfast. I asked for a capucino ( i knowed that they open at 7 breakfast, but i saw also that they offer early breakfast from 5 oclock- that means 1 coffee?? Or....it was just a lie), At finished at 7.06 she get my capucino I asked the capucino at 6.50 and first she looked at the watch, and she didn t tell me...anything. suspans over because she get it to me at 7 and 6 minutes. I was really in a hurry and i didn t have time to enjoy it.... I don t know what means early breakfast...from 5 o clock.. Finally , the food excelent , but late open the breakfast!! It was normal at 7 all to be finished and the room lighted at 7. I was there becouse of the flight and i haven even 1 minute to waiste. But food good, fresh, clean, also hotel clean. I recomand best western but...take care of all who go to airport at first time, they need that 5 minutes before 7 .05 Maybe you can open breakfast at 6.30? You will help your customers...i think!

The hotel has an excellent location close to the main transport links. The rooms are modern and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast is quite varied with many choices. I want to thank all the staff for the collaboration in sending the little teddy bear that my daughter forgot. Unfortunately the other teddy (dolphin) has not been recovered. Obrigada!

We visited the city for second time. The room was perfectly cleaned and the bathroom is very spacious ( something you wont easily find ). The location is very convinient and the ladies at The front Desk very helpful. Breakfast is paid 5 euros per person but it worths it. The variety of the food and drinks is very nice. Room for keeping your luggage safe until your deparure time is provided. Very well organised Hotel.

Stayed here with my wife for two nights on mini break. The Hotel was right next to the train and bus station and everything about the hotel was perfect. Our room was adorned in excellent colour choice with a modern orange tiled bathroom which looked fabulous. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was varied and very fresh. We could not fault the hotel in any way and will gladly return again when in Italy next time.

This hotel was quite a pleasant surprise! We picked it as it was conveniently located to the train station and the airport bus for our one night stopover in Bergamo. For this purpose it was perfect, but its also very close to the shopping of Citta Bassa, and an easy stroll to the funicular and up to to Citta Alta (which is beautiful!). Despite the decor being, in my opinion, quite dated looking in terms of style, the hotel in general, and rooms in particular, were immaculately clean and the fit out seemed quite new. We had a triple room which was a good size, with a nice view towards the plaza in front of the station. The windows had good glazing so noise was not an issue, in fact it was very quiet, and the room was also nice and warm despite it being quite cool outside. The bathroom was spotless and a good size too. Breakfast was included in our rate, and was pretty good - not amazing, but certainly ok for the price point of the hotel. The front desk staff that we dealt with were warm and friendly, and despite my wife and son both speaking Italian, they also spoke very good english with me. Bergamo is a beautiful city in its own right and would make a great base as alternative to Milan for touring this region of of Italy, and we would likely return here and use it as a base to see more of the region in the future.

We have stayed there for a night. Its very convenient location just next to the station. Our room was very spacious and clean with a nice view. Coffee and tea were available in the room. Also the other amenities were provided in the bathroom. Bathroom was also very clean. We had breakfast included in our booking, and enjoyed the breakfast served downstairs. Its very rich and tasty.You find almost everything you would expect from an continental breakfast. The only suggestion I can give is about the staff in the breakfast room. They were looking very busy and maybe that is why, i did not see anybody welcoming guests to the breakfast room, or saying good morning at least or smiling, which I would expect from such a nice hotel.

La forza for those in moving is the distance from the railway station. And cleanliness. For 4 stars room, 305 seemed small to me. These are usual. What wasn't usual, city tax is not displayed at the reception area and that gives room for arguing.

Good location next to train station and airport bus. Hard to get taxis at airport and prices high . Bus to airport goes from right opposite hotel and costs around 3.00 or less . Buy ticket in ticket office . Hotel itself is clean , tidy and has friendly staff . Only stayed 1 night but would stay again if in bergamo.

Good breakfast,good service ,I got the room for smoking people so I was dissappinted they didnt ask what room I prefer. The location is perfect just in front is the station u get easily get to the airport too.

This hotel is in an excellent location just across from bus and train station. We got the bus from the airport. Very convenient. Check in was pleasant and efficient. Room was simply but sufficient. It had two single beds and a couch so it was a bit cramped. We had dinner nearby in la bruchetta. It was lovely. Breakfast in the hotel was good. Cereal, cold meat, cheese, scrambled eggs, hot dogs, breads, juices and coffee

The hotel is located right out of the Bergamo train station! We choose to stay at Bergamo as hotels rare are much cheaper than Milan. Shortest train ride is only 50 min from Milan Hotel is clean and staff are very friendly and willing to help Bergamo old town is amazing. Much bigger and better than I thought

We stayed here in April 2017 - and we picked it as it was extremely handy to the train station (literally 50metres across the road) The rooms were really nice, modern, clean and spacious. Both our rooms had balconies too. The staff were extremely nice and the hotel itself was immaculate. Would stay here again.

This is a standard very good Best Western hotel, with all the quality you would expect. The location is very comfortable for travellers - it is in front of the train station (and airport bus stop) and reaching the citta' alta is not a big hassle. I had a nice and comfortable double room with perfectly working Wi-Fi and all the amenities - safe, hairdryer, TV. The room was spacious and the bathroom enormous, plenty of white clean towels and basic toiletries were provided too. Complimentary tea/coffee set was included, while water was the only thing you could find in the mini bar (the hotel also has a bar, but beware of the closing times). All in all, very nice place, good clean rooms, comfortable position and friendly staff.

Hello, We spent 3 nights at the hotel in the center of Bergamo in front of the train station. Easy access by train, bus or plane. Very good welcome, always available and nice reception team. Breakfast staff could smile more.

Excellent location, very clean rooms, beautiful lounge, breakfast and food. Only thing we noticed was that the bath wasn't anti slippery, so it needs caution! The staff was quite friendly.the room seemed totally new, a little heavy for my taste...but still cosy and decent. The single bed was a bit small but also nice to sleep.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in early April. The hotel benefits from a secure car park (although this costs 14 Euros per day). The room was very comfortable although rather too orange for our taste! It was quite hot in our room as we couldn't get the air-con to work. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as we preferred to make our own arrangements. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk away from the old part of town which is well worth a visit.

Great location across the road from the train station and bus to and from the airport. Easy access to the town and Citte Alta. Room- Very clean and well presented room and bathroom. Shower was large, no bath in my room, hair dryer and good sized towels. Breakfast- Booked what I believed bed and breakfast but only received one voucher for one breakfast rather than each day? Breakfast had a good selection - buffet style. Location- Quiet even though on a busy corner, I was in 103 which is on the corner over the restaurant. Staff - friendly and helpful staff with superb English, even though I had practised my best Italian! Totally enjoyed my stay - would recommend to others.

Pros: Breakfast is only 5€, is in a good location near train station and busses. Cons: The shower had hair in it, the bed sheets also had hair on them. When our room was cleaned the second day, they still had hair on them. Not sure if new sheets were provided or if old sheets were used again. Bed was not comfortable. Room is small. Not sure how this hotel received 4-stars?

Clean hotel, small rooms but it goes with the price. Nice cafeteria on the first floor and all the buses and public transportation at walking distance. People very helpful. Rooms clean. They are small but what is important is that they were clean.

I chose this hotel initially due to its proximity to the train station but it is also on the main street for restaurants and we were able to choose a different place to eat each night. The room was large compared to places I have stayed in France, England, and Germany. Front desk staff all spoke excellent English and were always helpful. We purchased the optional breakfast which was convenient and inexpensive. My only complaint was that the coffee at breakfast was undrinkable. There was a good selection of teas however so I made due with that and the McDonald's across the street has good coffee available at an early hour.

This is a nicely located Hotel in front of the main station in Bergamo. The rooms were clean and the staff very nice. The Hotel is located beside a restaurant which is cheap and has delicious food. No complaints other than the hoards of North African gangs hanging out near it begging and eyeing you up.

Situated at a step foot from the Bergamo Station, The hotel has newly refurbished rooms, extremely clean bathroom/towels,etc and a rich breakfast reasonably priced. It is more convenient to chose rooms with included breakfast, than to have your breakfast at the bar next door, especially if you like to eat well in the morning, not just a croissant! The staff is very helpful and late check in as available.and another great thing: parking available!!

It's not the most modern of hotels. It looks like there was some attempt to modernise it since all the functions are there such as flat tv and spotlights. We stayed in room 205 which is fairly close to the lifts, unfortunately the doors are not sound proof so I got waken up by the early morning guests using the lift. What is good with this hotel it's close to the train station. It's approximately 10-15 min walk from the city centre and little bit more to the furniculare that access the old town. Don't think we wish to come and stay here.

A nice place to stay - close to the railway station and buses. Nice restaurants nearby, and some few minutes walk for the train to the old town. Nice staff, clean rooms, well functioning ac and wifi. Breakfast at the hotel.

Friendly Staff, Clean well sized modern rooms, close to train & bus stations walking distance to most places. Many nearby restaurants, bars. Would return here without a doubt. Perfect if you want to explore the areas surrounding Bergamo using public transport

Stayed here for 6 nights it was a real pleasure the staff were very friendly the room was immaculate decent size plenty of fresh towels and toileteries, the location right opposite the station couldn't be better,plenty of nearby restaurants including a McDonald's 2 mins walk away all the shops and ice cream parlours all within walking distance as it the cita Alta via the lift would definitely stay here again only downside could be a bit noisy on a night due to traffic but you can't fault a hotel for that

The location is ideal, just opposite the Bergamo train station and the main bus station.The bus stop for the airport is just opposite, beside the Mcdonalts.Also just crossing the street there are bus stops for buses ( A1) to the center and old town.The nice VOX restaurant is 200 m on the left.A caffe just attached to the hotel. The stuff are really kind, smiling and helpful! Wifi is very strong. Our room on 4rth floor was facing the street and station and the view was very nice, no problem with noise.The bed was the most comfortable ever, there was a mini fridge, and coffee tea making facilities.The room was cosy and spotlessly clean, although not big, the bathroom was very nice and shining! Indeed a 4* hotel !! And cheaper than other similar hotels......Strongly recommended!!

I booked this hotel on the day after finding my booked hotel was miles away from Bergamo. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating from the moment I walked through the door. My room was newly refurbished and was very nice. Breakfast was very good too and overall it was a good value hotel in a very convenient location, just opposite the railway station.

i stayed there for almost 16 nights. Stay was quite comfortable. Although there were some issues with shower which they were able to get fixed in 2 days. Pros: Just opposite to train station. near to market place and good restaurants near by Cons: Except staff at reception other people were not able to speak in English so bit difficult at breakfast or other things. They don't run any loyalty service for guest staying longer.

The Hotel is 2 minutes walking distance to the train station and very close to excellent shopping area. Management was very receptive to helping me when I needed it. Pleasant front desk staff. Very good breakfast. I loved the room color which was orange in theme. Clean and nice.I would definitely come back to stay here when needed.

great location, the bus & train station on your door step and on time often. the hotel is great and the staff are friendly. no complaints at all i would go again pronto. you cant go wrong here at all, brill.

Really comfotable hotel, silent, near by the city centre. Clean and chic, with huge bathrooms, comfortable double beds. Nice breakfast included - all you can choose. Parking also in the price. Kind receptionists. Just perfect.

We were here one night and found the room perfect. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms and very clean. Found it ironic that we stayed in a Best Western in Italy but.... After walking all day we decided to dine in the hotel restaurant which we found quite nice. Wait staff was very instructive as to the wines and dishes of the area. Great location for a walk to Citta Alta. Do not miss this area. Up the funicular to the town and walk everywhere.

The hotel location is great just in front of the train station so you don't need to take a taxi. The rooms are simple but with a good size and clean But the people in the front desk needs more experience with international tourism In Italy a train strike was going on and they didn't knows anything , no orientation , any help for others alternatives. No empathy at all! We just check out and had a really hard time looking for alternatives to go to Milan airport ..they didn't do anything to help. The young girl in the front desk very rough The breakfast needs improvement is average.

Most reviews of this hotel refer to its great location in relation to the railway station and the airport bus, I agree fully with those reviews Reception staff were very helpful, there was a good selection for the buffet breakfast and the room rate was reasonable. Our bedroom, on the top floor, had a great view of the mountains. The bedroom had a very modern design and colour scheme. The only downside of the hotel was that each day a different Wi-Fi password was issued. We were told this was for security reasons, yet it is not something we have experienced in any other hotel. We ate one night in the restaurant attached to the hotel and on the other night at La Bruschetta, both restaurants were very good and would merit a visit. If staying in Bergamo for at least 24 hours and travelling to the airport I would recommend the 24 Hour Ticket which can be purchased at the bus station for €5. The bus station is close to the hotel. The ticket provides 24 hour travel within the Bergamo urban area, including two funicular routes, and one journey to the airport.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found its location perfect for the train station to Milan or Monza without the hassle of the Milan bustle. Whilst only 3 star its of a very high standard with all facilities including underground parking. Bergamo was a very interesting city on three levels including the old city with great restaurants and a great atmosphere!! Well worth a visit!!

Great location just across from the train station and a short walk into town. Very clean. Left luggage area facility. Reasonable restaurants and a bar close by! Staff speak some English. All in all, ok for a short stay in Bergamo. Breakfast is available although we did not use this service.

Hotel Piemontese has newly renovated bathroom and bedrooms. Tea bags and a kettle were supplied, which we appreciated. The staff were very helpful particularly Monica. The breakfast buffet was very nice. It was in a very handy location for the train and bus, city shops and access to the Alta Citta. If driving you need to know that this hotel is on a corner with no parking in front so you need to turn into Via Paglia Giorgio e Guido before the hotel then into Via Ermete Novelli to gain parking access and to drop off suitcases. To park in the underground car park garage though, there was a very steep cobblestone driveway to walk up with your heavy suitcase as this garage is not connected to the hotel, therefore no attached lift. A nice hotel to stay in.

Typical 4 star hotel, very updated and modern. The staff are friendly, but could loosen up a bit, the atmosphere at the counter was very strict. Nice breakfast, with buffet. Only one staff member and therefor the tables were full of dishes and breadcrumbs. A good place to stay, close to city center, and train station. the airport bus is 50m away. Must see in Bergamo is Citta alta, :)

This is a lovely hotel very close to the train station and great for a one night stay before flying out of Bergamo airport. The room is good size, clean, has good AC and is quite comfortable. The staff is very helpful and I was ready to give it a 5 star rating. Until I settled into my room and tried to use the wifi! They do have wifi. That is how I'm writing this review - but it is pretty bad. I'm unable to stream videos or even check Facebook because pages won't load. One of the biggest things I look for when reserving a hotel is if they have wifi. I feel really frustrated and misled by the claim of wifi in this hotel! If you are not in need of wifi, this is a very nice hotel with good prices. If you are dependent on wifi, keep looking!

Some hotels have impressive reception rooms and public areas, but then you can be disappointed when you see your guest room. That is not the case here. The reception area is small and friendly, check in was easy, our room was on the fifth floor, not far from the lift. It was a good size and had twin beds, everything was modern and clean. The bathroom was also modern, spacious and very clean. The bed linen was good quality and we had plenty of towels. We had tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. The air con was a necessity on a very muggy day and evening. We loved the view from the window, of the piazza in front of the railway station and bus station, which was surprisingly nice. As for convenience, you couldn't beat it. A bus outside takes you up to the Cite Alta, (old town) stopping at the funiculare on the way. The airport bus runs from the bus station outside and of course, the train station is also outside! We hope to visit beautiful Bergamo again and would definitely stay in this hotel.

A comfortable hotel with very helpful staff and a baggage storage facility, which is very useful if travelling by train. The bus for the old city leaves opposite and the airport bus is close, Rooms clean. Breakfast buffet adequate.

My sister and I stayed here one night after our UK flight as a jumping off point for our rail journey on the Bernina Express from Tirano the following day. We wanted a location close to the train station for hassle-free arrival and departure the next morning. The hotel is ideally situated a very short walk from the airport shuttle stop, and equally convenient for the train. Reception staff were immaculate and friendly, spoke English, and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, quiet and well appointed, and there was a good choice of items on the breakfast buffet.

This hotel deserves all the good reviews on TripAdvisor. Couldn't fault it for cleanliness and location. Even though our room was sharing a wall with the lift we couldn't hear a sound. The soundproofing is remarkably good. Our room had a fridge and tea/ coffee making facilities which was great for cutting costs as we stayed for 7 nights. The restaurant attached is really good. We ate there on 3 nights.The reception has a small seating area and a breakfast room which we didn't use. The location was perfect for the buses and trains. The room was quite small but from our experience, that's fairly normal in Italy. Really lovely bathroom. The staff were friendly and spoke perfect English. Bergamo is so beautiful - we'll definitely be back for another visit in the future and will return to this hotel.

The hotel was nice, clean and perfect when we stayed with our two daughters (aged 3 and 11 months). The reception spoke perfect English and they accommodated our room with a pull away bed and crib for our kids.

Located perfect. Everything is close by. Central station is towards the hotel, airport not far (15 minutes by bus), city center and Citta Alta can be reached after a short walk. Staff was helpful and uncomplicated. Rooms kept simple but nice.

Perfect location near the train and bus station. 5 minutes from the citta alta with the bicycle. 15 minutes by foot. Breakfast buffet is ok. Very clean rooms and possibility to park your bike. Free wifi.

Located just few steps from central train and bus station. Shuttle bus to airport stops next to door. Air conditioning and soundproof windows. Good restaurant with delicious food and great service downstairs. Just one dissapointing thing-you should every day get a new iternet password at the reception. As a four star hotel should have more items on breakfast table. Lack of fresh vegetable.

Hotel is in a perfect location next to main railway and bus stations, airport bus stops close by. Very helpful and friendly staff, for €3 the buffet breakfast is a gift! My double room was very bright and clean. Overall very good value I would stay here again.

Good hotel the type Best Western can offer. Clean tidy rooms and comfy beds with flat screens and a clean modern bathroom facilities. Very centrally located and everything is at walking distance. The train station is just across the road and the bus terminus for the airport as well. Fantastic if you like moving around using transport to visit citta alta, , san vigilio and anywhere eels in Italy really. Only 45 minutes away by train to MIlan at a very low cost. Recommended

We had 2 nights in this hotel and chose it on the basis of previously good reviews and its excellent location close to the railway and bus station. Location really could not have been better as the airport bus (number 1) had a stop right outside railway station which was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Catching the bus back to the airport was opposite and again an easy 2 minute walk. However due to good soundproofing we never heard any traffic noise. Although quite a busy junction in Bergamo Bassa it did not feel noisy and busy. Very convenient for walking into town and catching the bus or funicular to the old town. Very comfortable rooms, beds and lovely fresh linen and towels. Absolutely spotlessly clean and very good breakfasts for just 3 euros. There is also a small but nice restaurant/bar next door which can be accessed from the hotel. We just had a drink of wine but the food and cakes looked very good. Overall no hesitation in recommending this small hotel for a perfect short stay in Bergamo or use as a less expensive alternative to staying in Milan as the train service is quick(50mins) and cheap tickets available at the station. Will definitely return as really like Bergamo and Milan.

I booked my room via booking.com and asked for an early check in. When we arrived at the hotel the room wasn't ready and we had to wait about an hour for the room to be ready. One hour later we checked in, the room was ready but very dusty, there was a lot of dust on the floor and in the wardrobe. On the plus side, the hotel is across the street from the train and bus station, there's also an info tourist point close by and the room price was quite good. The staff was friendly and helpful, can't complain about them.

Basic hotel with few features and a relatively basic feel. Clean, tidy and staff were polite and respectful, nothing to complain about at all. Only stayed as a transit between the airport and travelling further afield so I can't comment on the location but for a nights sleep in a comfortable but basic hotel, it was good value.

The hotel was very good and in an ideal location. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights between 30 November and 2nd December. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Buses to the Citta Alta are frequent and the train station is a 2 minute walk away. Milan is less than 1 hour by train (and only 5.50 Euro each way). Buses to Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport are frequent and inexpensive and only take around 15 minutes. Hotel and my room was fine and overall I enjoyed my stay. If I return to Bergamo I would definitely consider staying here again.

During the EXPO 2015 it was bery dificult to find any nice hotel in good price. This was perfect! Very nice personel, clear hotel, close to station and airport. Very good breakfest! Delicious cofee and meals in restaurant belong to hotel. And Bergamo is so beautyful : ) I realy like this place

The hotel was good. The staff was friendly and willing to help in any need to be informed about the city. The room was clean but relatively small without a good view. Room decor rather heavy. The materials for the bathroom was not enough. Breakfast was good and sufficient and well served. The hotel's location is in a relatively not so good area.

We stayed here for one night after exploring Lake Garda and Lake Iseo as we had an early flight back to the UK the following morning. It's centrally located opposite the train and bus stations in Bergamo. We walked to the bottom of Citta Alta in about 10 minutes (to the tram taking you up). The hotel was clean and fresh with several places to eat and drink close by (also a supermarket about 2 minutes walk from the hotel). I'm unable to comment on the breakfast as we'd left for the airport before it was served.

The Piemontese is right by the main Bergamo train station and with a bus stop for the airport just across the street and another for the old town you couldn't want for a better position. We arrived with 2 bikes in boxes and they lent us the porter's trolley to carry them from the train station. Very warm welcome at reception - couldn't do enough for us. We were given a space behind the bar to assemble the bikes and they kept the boxes safe for our return trip. We had asked for a quiet room at the back and were not disappointed. The room was very comfortable. On request they brought us coffee/tea making facilities. The wi-fi was strong and BBC world news available on the TV. Very good breakfast in the morning. Good value restaurant attached to the hotel where we ate a really good lunch.

This hotel has excellent location at the main street and right at the train station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was actually best of our three four star hotels that we stayed at during our Italian tour. Good size room with nice beds and blankets. Bathroom with large shower compartment. Only minus was once again lousy breakfast. We would have given four for this one but breakfast dropped that to three.

The room was marvellous for this price Our family who showed up to take us with their car was received warmly . They Could eat their own food!!! The service was very nice Breakfast was very complete!!! Personeel so nice they will tell you everything you like to know!!!
