Best Western Plus Bend North

Fantastic. Great value, friendly, clean, good breakfast. FANTASTIC view from third floor west side! Wow!!! Hotel is pretty new. Very clean and comfortable rooms. West side was quiet (no 97 noise.) ALL staff very friendly! Thank you, BW Bend North! I stay in a lot of hotels, mainly BW, and yours is a great place. Well done.

We were very pleased with everything. The rooms were clean and spacious. Coffee was available at all hours in the lobby. The breakfast was substantial. The price we paid for a king size bed was very reasonable. We will definitely be back when we are out this way again.

Easy to find. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Everything in the room worked. We didn't get the chance to use the hot tub or pool. There was a lot of snow when we were there and they kept the walkways clear and salted. Breakfast was lacking. Waffle maker was broken. No sugar free jellies. No milk substitutes. Paid $90/night for 2 queen and I'd say that was a fair price compared to other places.

Overall a nice property. The uncontrollable is Hwy 97 is a bit busy with lanes diverted while under construction.Nice variety of food choices at breakfast. The front desk and dining staff are very professional and seem to take hospitality seriously.

I stayed 3 night while visiting family in the area. It was in a more secluded location which I liked but it was easy to get to my families place back and forth. I liked that they had Keurig coffee makers in the room. It was newer and clean. The price was very reasonable for Best Western. I would stay there again sometime.

Everything was good from the service to the room housekeeping was on top of keeping the room clean and made sure to stock towels and toiletries front desk was knowledgeable about attractions around town and about the hotel and the breakfast was great

As usual, Best Western Plus is a great place to stay. I was particularly happy that I was able to check in early after a long drive and rest up a bit before heading to Smith Rock State Park for the rest of the day. I would request that you bring back waffles for breakfast as those are my favorite.

Clean room, everything was in good working order. Comfy bed, and personable, helpful front desk staff. I love the walk in shower The breakfast room was immaculately clean, very well stocked and even had a pancake machine. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip theough Bend.

Live bed bugs and traces of bed bugs on beds on sheets, pillows and bedding. Overall establishment doesn't look clean, floors are sticky, smells odd. Bathroom didn't look clean and room looked quickly put together. Stay anywhere else and save yourself the horrible experience.

Lack of management oversite results in no room service during our 3 night stay. Many issues with room cleanness and provided amenities upon our check-in. Lack of response from management when we requested to talk to them to make them aware of these issues.

Wonderful Place to Stay, room and bed were fantastic! Terrific Staff with warm and inviting attitudes, highly recommend the stay @ this Best Western Plus. I've stayed at this location on many occasions and they have consistently provided a great experience.

One of the best BW we have stayed in. Rooms very clean. Large breakfast area. Three floors with elevator. However access from Hwy 97 northbound is not easy. Need to make a left turn across very busy southbound traffic. When leaving hotel you can only make a right turn. Google maps does give directions for northbound travel. We will definitely stay again.

From check in to check out we have no complaints. The entire staff was extremely pleasant, helpful and accommodating. This by far was one of the cleanest hotels we stayed in during our trip. The room was comfy and the bed was comfortable lending us to a most relaxing sleep. Highly recomend this hotel.

We loved our 4 night stay at this property. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was very convenient to have a living space with a table and chairs to have our dinners. We were grateful to come "home" to this space after each of our full day adventures.

Homeless encampment at property, broken hot tub, un sanitary pool, dirty coffee maker, room did not get cleaned after 2nd night when I informed front desk my son had wet the bed, no restock of towels, garbage not taken out. Out of clean blankets when I asked the front desk at 9:30 at night for new bedding since it didn't get done during the day. Garbage under the beds

The hotel is a great venue for pleasure or business trips in the North Bend. It's proximity is perfect. The staff were helpful and were quick to respond to your request. They have a nice fitness center and the breakfast was great.

We stay at Best Western Plus Hotels on a regular basis. The Best Western Plus Bend North continues the quality, value and professionalism as expected of this chain. In addition to extra friendly staff, the third floor offered beautiful views of the Three Sisters Mountain Range. There was easy access to the hotel, which is within 12 minutes drives to most breweries/restaurants. We be sure to book this particular facility whenever the Bend, Oregon area.

The hotel room was large and very comfortable with nice toiletries including make-up remover pads. Pleasant check-in and check-out and good breakfast with lots of choices. The only concern was the large homeless camp behind the hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located right as you come into bend. It is close to where I need to work, and also has fuel, shopping, and good restaurants nearby. The staff if friendly and welcoming. Ovall a good place to stay.

I saw this hotel on Travelocity and thought it looked great, but wanted to confirm some details before I drove all the way there. I called and called and called and no one answered. Finally I decided to make the drive out to the hotel and that's when I saw the front desk attendant sitting outside smoking a cigarette and a man at the front desk yelling "Hello?! Is anyone there?!" Apparently he came back to his room to find it open... but he couldn't find the front desk attendant either. Cause she was outside smoking. The whole front entryway smelled like cigarette smoke. Then I went to book a room and she said that they were completely booked at 95% capacity (95% capacity is not completely booked in my world) and could not give me a room. I told her there were plenty of rooms available at this hotel on travelocity and she said travelocity was wrong and Best Western already gave those rooms away. I asked what would have happened if I booked these rooms and then showed up and she said she would just tell me sorry, there was no room for me. Then she said and I quote, "I don't even know if I have rooms for the people who already made reservations for tonight." (!!) All I could think was those poor souls who are arriving at 1am after a long day on the road only to find that their room had been given away. I've booked with Travelocity an awful lot and never experienced anything like this before. I don't know what is wrong with this hotel, but they need to get their crap together and also hire a new front desk attendant.

A little concerned with people living on the street behind motel, but did not have any problems. The room was clean and comfortable Good breakfast, The motel has been updated. The hot tub felt real good after a day of driving,

I decided to revise my original review, not because I was asked to, but because the management at this Best Western did her very best to make sure I would be a return customer. I have removed my negative comments and hope that every future customer has a clean room in working order.

Lesson learned to never stay here again. The manager was too busy to talk to me. Gave her ample time for her to call me regarding the room cleanliness. Had she talked I would not write this review. Sept 30, 2022 Room 208 Upon entering the room, the TV was on which was very strange but didn't bother me at the time. Upon entering the bathroom there was hair and urine on the toilet seat which was totally gross. I immediately found a housekeeper to come clean it. Because of that, I felt I better undo the beds just to make sure the sheets were changed. No hairs were found there but a huge black hair was in the sink. At this point we decided to come down to talk to the manager. We were told she was on the phone and wouldn't have time to talk to us when she got off but would talk to us in the morning. (That never happened). After returning to the room late that evening, we tried to turn off the TV and discovered why it was left on. There was no controller anywhere. We're ready to go to sleep and can't shut off the TV! Upon trying to call the front desk discovered the phone didn't work. I unplugged the TV from the back. Looked everywhere and finally found the TV controller underneath the bed. Had to literally get on my belly to get the controller. I have tried to call the facility today three times only to have it ring and ring, never answered. This stay makes me second guess ever staying at a Best Western again!

With COVID and a lack of hotel support staff, Best Western is making it right. We had some problems but they were taken care of very quickly and that means we will be back, We trust this team completely.

Check in was fast and easy. Room was clean and breakfast was decent but avoid the pancake. It is thin and rubbery. I would suggest BW to consider fixing this as it would be nice to have fluffy pancakes. We stayed three nights and on the evening of the second day when we went to our room we were locked out! Had to go back to the front desk to get keys reprogrammed . When I checked out on the last day, I showed the room key sleeve which had the room number facing the top for the reception to view but she asked for my room number and instructed me to place the key into the drop box. When I got to my car and reviewed the receipt I noticed she gave me another room receipt so went back to the same receptionist and boy was she rude when I pointed out that she gave me the wrong room with the wrong person, to the point to question me if “I was perfect”. Will definitely not return back here. When I reviewed the receipt I noticed that my room account was closed on the second day, that was why my keys did not work in the evening.

The room was clean & somewhat quiet. Hot & strong water pressure for showers. The hot breakfast was Very good & there was plenty of variety. They have a Serious Homeless problem living behind the hotel. Local police Need to address this. Even with the homeless issue, I would stay here again.

Check in was easy bed is nice for a hotel as are the pillows. Breakfast needs improving as only one flavor of yogurt the muffins were dry and the bacon greasy it is close to a few good places to eat and was quiet for sleeping

Used this hotel as it was a non-pet hotel, hard to find in Bend OR. In general the rating for this property should be reduced from a PLUS to a lower rating. The location was a short drive from the main districts of Bend, but appearance of the area was a concern as there were many homeless trailers parked on the street behind the hotel. The concern being the staff was not monitoring the lobby and the entries were not keyed. Unauthorized access caused the staff to keep the rest rooms locked. There was no AC or ventilation in the fitness area, with 100 degree temperatures the area was almost not usable.

Worst place ever. Overpriced, dirty and terrible service. Filthy, disgusting - staff did not seem to care. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY AS TH8S PLACE IS A DIRTY PIG STYL to top it off, it is OVERPRICED.

Upon checking in, I requested to pay in cash for my booking, either immediately or upon checkout as preferred by the front desk. I was informed that the hotel does not accept any cash payment, only credit cards. I have stayed at Best Western hotels in various locations, and have never been told that cash was not accepted as a form of payment. I requested to see the policy, and was informed that there is no written policy. I requested to speak to a manager and was informed that no manager would speak to me. This might be the last time that I ever stay at a Best Western branded hotel

No problems , but I got a little worried when we drove around back - There were several large homeless camps/garbage dumps right across the street behind the hotel - Made me a little nervous parking there .. Plus on the online pre-check in , asked for an upper floor room , got one on the first floor .. Not what I'd call and upper floor ..

When checking in, we asked to be on an upper floor and she immediately honored our request. We asked if they cleaned rooms, since we would be there multiple days and she said yes as long as we let them know a day ahead of time. She also said we could get towels and toiletries at the front desk any time. The swimming pool was very good and warm. The jacuzzi was cold the first day, but they had a repairman fixing it early the next morning. After that the jacuzzi worked perfectly. The breakfasts were good and were kept well stocked. We would definitely stay here again!

This BW has potential for a solid no frills for a Bend stop on a road-trip. It has several good things going for it but falls short on a couple points. Its right off the main 97 highway, but on the backside rooms facing the mountains you could not hear road noise. There is a gas station literally next door that had great prices (everyone in town must know bc it was always packed). From our 3rd floor room facing west (away from 97) we could see snow capped Cascade mountains and the sunset. However, things that could easily be better- Wi-Fi wouldn't connected on my Surface at all, and continually dropped out on our 3 iOS devices and constantly reconnected, taking forever. Walls were thin enough that we got woken up with the neighboring room's TV and conversation, which wasn't even loud or animated. Our heater (it was 40 degrees outside) was running 2/3 of the time, not sure if it was actually generating heat. But it is just barely quiet enough to fall asleep. Not broken, just noisy. Breakfast was typically basic, but the juice machine and toaster were out-of-order from an electrical issue the previous day. For some reason, the issue hadn't been fixed during the day, nor had anyone bothered to get another toaster and some OJ bottles from the store down the street as fallback. Room was clean and reasonably modern looking, mattress was just ok. Weird stuff- there is a central staircase in the lobby leading from ground floor to 2nd floor, but no central stairs from 2nd to 3rd... very inconvenient to walk down the 2 floors if we wanted to. And the bath/shower faucet was installed backwards. You would think the snowflake symbol on one side would be a good hint that it would be the side for cold water, but I guess the plumber had other ideas.

Great property if you are looking for a nice clean and friendly place to stop in your travels. Even in these times with short staff everyone who worked there was extremely pleasant and professional in their interactions with not just us but others we overheard we overheard. It was comfortable and clean and easy to get on off the main drag in-and-out of Bend without the exorbitant prices of properties actually in the Bend downtown area

A nice comfortable Hotel that met expectations. Well maintained grounds and facilities in a location near the main highway. Access to and from the property is affected negatively during peak traffic periods in Bend. Otherwise, no complaints

The facility is new and well-kept, clean. Not a lot of amenities around. Large TVs. US-97 is right nearby and jams up in the afternoon. Try to stay on the opposite side id you don't like traffic noise. One stay went off fine, the last time though I arrived with a confirmed pre-paid reservation and check-in at a specific time only to be told no rooms were available by a clerk that didn't seem to care much. That could be a disaster in Bend in the summer when accommodations anywhere in town are difficult to come by. Ultimately I was given a room but not before a very unpleasant and stressful wait. I was accommodated the next day by helpful housekeeping staff and a different clerk who made an exception to give me a check-out as late as I needed.

Arrived hotel around 30 min after checkin was supposed to begin and room was promised to us as being available. Clerk told me room in category I reserved unavailable. When will it be available? I asked. Reply: Dunno maybe 30 min or so. Requested a second story room and clerk noted that request We are due at birthday celebration and have no place to change and freshen up after a 5 hour drive. We go to party not having an other choice offered to us. Return 3 or so hours later. No second story room. You can wait and maybe other rooms will turn up eventually clerk says... or take 1st floor rm. We took one of 2 available rooms. I believe the hospitality was completely absent and we should be reimbursed for our stay in that we were greatly inconvenienced. I did not complain at the hotel because there was no care offered whatsoever and it would have fallen on deaf ears. UPDATE B Western offered us 500 membership points for our trouble. Since a room through their membership program requires 20000 to 30000 points minimum, 40 to 60 times as much for a room for 1 night. This is insulting and tone deaf.

This hotel was very clean and modern. We were very surprised at how nice the room was and how comfortable the bed and pillows were. There is a lovely patio with a firepit just outside the dining area. The continental breakfast was better than most. The person who checked us in was super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast staff and all staff we had contact with were friendly. We don't typically stay at Best Western's but wont't hesitate to stay at another Best Western Plus.

I stay at this establishment every time I'm in the area. The staff is the primary reason, always great me with a warm welcome. The value is better then the others around here too, location could be better, however, 3 out of 5 is a win to me.

I was disappointed with my stay especially because it was a Best Western "Plus" location, so I expected slightly more. The woman who was working the front desk when I checked in about 9:30pm was extremely friendly and that was about the only highlight of my stay. The room was very dirty with used wrappers from the plastic cups left next to the coffee pot, an empty toiletry bottle left in the bathroom, and the lotion left on the counter was opened and had already been used. The TV remote and table tops were sticky. Parking was very hard to come by because of all the work trucks taking up multiple spaces. I wasn't really comfortable leaving my car in the lot overnight because the road right behind the hotel has been taken over by an encampment of vans and campers that stretches for over a half mile. I will out the email survey I received after my stay and noted these issues. I did receive a response, but it was basically just a pre-canned response apologizing for not meeting expectations.

It is a standard BW Plus. The room as clean and included a microwave, fridge and Kcup coffee maker. The faculty included a jacuzzi and pool. Breakfast was fine with a handful of hot items as well as cereals and breads It is a 10 minute drive to old Bend and the riverside parks

The entire hotel has been updated and remodeled. We stayed in a suite with a separate bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. The little kitchen was great. Sink, small fridge that was actually cold, microwave and Keurig. The walk in shower was nice looking, great water pressure, plenty of hot water. Little 2 seat dining table, couch, desk.couch a little uncomfortable and could use some back pillows. Full breakfast: scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, potatoes, waffle maker, yogurt, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, muffins, bagels, juices, coffee, tea. The ONE complaint I have is the homeless camps and lines of campers from the homeless on the street behind the hotel and our view from our window. It also was the “ view of the canyon” which wasn't a good one. One of the campers ran a VERY loud generator for hours at night. Fortunately it wasn't all night. It stopped by bedtime but was still disturbing because I could hear it over the TV. I would definitely stay here again but would not want to have a room on the back of the hotel. There was a homeless person sitting in the lobby drinking coffee.

Like other reviewers, I find it odd that the front desk is left unattended (especially in an area with a homeless camp located beside and behind it). The female at the front desk was abrupt and unpleasant. Usually I'm thanked for being a rewards member. She didn't do that-in fact, she didn't even greet me. The overnight clerk was a pleasant young man. But, again, I went down and no one was at the desk and the front door was not locked. Anyone could have wandered in and around the building. So, security is a big issue here. They offer a free breakfast. But, they opened late almost every day of my stay. And, the hot food and pancake maker were never ready when the doors opened. When they were heavily booked, food ran out quickly and it took forever to get more. I waited 28 minutes one day for eggs. There was a group of high school wrestlers who had to get to a meet. The parents and coaches were very upset that nothing was ready and packaged items ran out. The hotel knew there would be a lot of people eating early and checking out. They should have prepared for it. The long lines to check in and out are totally unacceptable. We've had billing issues with them. So, the company insisted on getting a receipt before checking out. Sorry, this place is a mess-go elsewhere. Oh, and despite mask mandates, guests and staff wandered around without them and nothing was done about it. They should take a look at government mandates-or, even the sign on their front door.

Normally BW exceeds my expectations of cleanliness but this time some details were missed and it was noticeable negligence. I did not report it as the front desk had a huge line and no one behind the desk to help.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay while visiting Bend, OR, this is the place to stay. Not only do they welcome you with a smile in their face but are very friendly. The rooms are clean, smell good and if you need anything the front staff is ready to help you. Now they serve hot breakfast which is delicious with options to choose from.

Great hotel in a handy location in Bend. Hotel has been updated with very nice rooms and showers, work desks. Internet was very dependable for working. The staff here are exceptional in my opinion, very friendly and caring. Property felt very safe with security cameras prominently displayed on the outside of the building. This site has a very nice pool and Hot tub for your use with good hours available. There is a road in the back of the hotel that does have a homeless population but this has not been an issue for the hotel as there are business all around and everything felt very safe. I highly recommend this property.

I can't say enough things about the nice folks that work at this BW! They were friendly, helpful, checked to see if there was anything I needed-Wow! This was my first stay at this property. It won't be my last. The room was clean and spacious. The indoor pool and hot tub were open for convenient hours. The free hot breakfast had a nice variety of items. The BW is located near quite a lot of shopping, restaurants, etc. If you need suggestions or directions, the front desk staff is glad to help you out.

Stayed for 4 nights over New Years ski trip. Nice budget hotel with clean indoor pool & hot tub. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good. Well stocked with several good options. Rooms were clean & comfy. There is a large trailer encampment behind the hotel on Hummell RD that GPS will guide you through if coming in from US 20. If that bothers you, I recommend using the entrance on Highway 97.

First off, the staff at the front desk were outstanding. They were fast, friendly, professional and good listeners. I was on the top floor and there were elevators. My room faced away from the street and was very quiet. The view out my window of the mountains was outstanding. The bed/pillows were very good and the towels were large and soft. The room was large and very clean. The wifi worked fine. Breakfast was good and well-provisioned.

Friendly helpful check in staff, she recommended a luggage cart for us before we even asked, she also asked what floor we preferred to be on. We always prefer the top floor and were very happy when we were given a room on the back side where the mountain view is. The room was very clean and comfortable. We all slept great and never heard anyone else on the floor except once when someone let their door slam shut. Please be aware that like a lot of hotels during Covid times, they are short staffed and your room will not be cleaned every day if you stay multiple nights. We didn't have an issue with this and just went to the check in when we needed more towels etc. The check in person let us know if we needed anything else to just let them know. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and alternated between bacon or sausage links. There was also cold and hot cereals, yogurt and pastries. On the street behind the hotel there are multiple campers and tents with people living in them but we had no issues with this and didn't even notice it unless we had to take that road to get on the highway heading out of Bend. We'd stay here again.

Friendly staff, good member rates, pool was nice, beautiful decor, and pictures of destinations in surrounding area. Close to attractions and stores, restaurants, multiple state parks, bungee jumping.

This was bad from start to finish. The thing that bothered me most was the lies. They didn't disclose that they charge the CAT at booking, but added it on to the final bill. The CAT is not a consumer tax, it's a business tax. While companies are allowed to pass this on to their customers, it is uncommon to do so, and it should be disclosed. Since there was no one at the desk when I checked out (just as there wasn't at check-in for about 10 minutes), I just dropped off my key and left. So, I didn't get the receipt until I was long gone. I called in the next day to have it removed, and the person I talked to was dismissive and critical, but I eventually got her to remove it. Well, she said she would. The adjustment never actually happened. This hotel is also amongst an area in Bend where people are living on the streets in (probably) mostly not working RVs. It's hard to get to being right on 97, which is incredibly busy here and not well controlled. And, the night I was here, they just closed off half the parking lot to resealing with no information on anywhere else to park. Other than that, there was also a very strong smell of pot on the floor my room was on, and the side door was broken (you had to enter through the front). Just a lot of maintenance issues and lack of care from management here. This property is in a good location, clean and has a wonderful staff. We were well taken care of after an urgent medical matter. The staff was reassuring, calm and helpful. The breakfast options were good. The rooms are clean and spacious. The grounds are nice, offering places to be outside. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Stayed here to attend an out of town conference. Location was difficult, the parking lot was being redone and had to park off premises but wasn't notified ahead of time. Don't plan on sleeping if you stay here. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING! Tv's, talking, people walking down the hall, lobby noise, you get the whole gamet of sounds when you stay here. Check-in/out wasn't friendly. They are just there to do a job. Be aware they have a hefty security deposit you find out about once you get there. Not sure how long it will take to reimburse that. I recommend this be a last resort hotel option.

A group of motorcycles on a ride we chose to stay in this hotel. Clean rooms, great breakfast, plenty of parking, and good location. Internet was a little slow but still served what we needed, bed was very comfortable, and rooms had all amenities you need.

I found this hotel to be as clean and nice looking as any in its classification. The front counter staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was kept very clean and organized. Breakfast was slightly limited, blamed on Covid, but overall, was not bad and offered most of the basic items you would expect.

This hotel was beautifully remodeled. It looked like new. It wasn't cheaply remodeled with plastic like the Holiday Inn Expresses are. It was remodeled with a ton of wood paneling. It is beautiful. The breakfast was great, especially considering it was a partial breakfast because of COVID. It sure seemed like a full breakfast to me (sausage, eggs, muffins, pastry, toast, English muffins, fruit, Yoplait yogurt, Greek yogurt, juices, cold cereals, milk, almond milk, etc. What impressed us the most was how quiet this hotel was. Our room was very nice and it was very quiet. We did not want to leave!

Worst hotel ever. Upon arriving early, I could not check in which was anticipated. Upon my return at check in time 2 homeless men were trying to break into my truck and trailer. I asked the front desk clerk if there was a safe place to park. She said "no" and that the homeless had taken over the area. I told her I couldn't stay there if my truck and trailer could not be safe. She said she understood and would refund my fee. She stated the owner of the hotel would be mad because of all the problems they are having with the homeless. 30 days later I recieved my American Express bill and was charged $448 for one night which I didn't stay. When I called the hotel they said there was nothing they could do because the front desk girl forgot to post a cancellation number. I will dispute the charge with American Express. While leaving the hotel for the highway, you have to go through a homeless encampment on both sides of the road. Although the homeless is not the fault of the hotel, the way they handled the cancellation to me is criminal. I will never stay in a Best Western again.

We did not have the cleanliness issues that others have reported. Our room and the facility were very clean. The beds/pillows were comfy. The parking lot is not a horrible size. But, the front fills up quickly (which is where everyone wants). There was always plenty of parking on the sides of the building. Yes, there is a RV homeless camp behind the building. There are only 2 luggage carts. Breakfast was decent and the breakfast room was large. The juice dispenser was down the whole time but they provided bottles of orange juice. Decent fitness room except the weight machine was missing a few parts and was warm/poorly ventilated. The room had a smaller than dorm size fridge with microwave. The facility decor and size of hallways/rooms seemed a bit dated. The hallway carpet on the 3rd floor felt warped in the middle. This was the smallest yet most expensive room at the end of a 10 day cross country trip, but still cheaper than anything else in town. There was overflowing trash outside on our 1st day but that improved. I would stay again for the price.

Check in and check out was a disaster in comparison to our other stays at Best Western.. When we returned to the hotel after visiting relatives in Bend the front door was locked and no way to get in. We went to a side door and the sign stated out of order. Luckily someone had braced the door open or we would not have gained entrance.

The worst that can happen is arrive at a hotel with very questionable hygiene, and it happened to me. I paid more than $400 for a two-night stay to see residuals of chips on the carpet, dust, and trash from previous guests. This place is comparable with the cheapest motel you can imagine. It was my first and last time in a best western. Obviously, these companies are not going to refund the guests for all the inconveniences caused, so the best I can do is advise others to not stay there unless you want to jeopardize your travel.

Stayed at Best Western Bend during horse show. Flat surfaces were sticky with hand and fingerprints including TV screen and remote. Debris lined the bottom edges of wall and carpet. Cob webs and unknown black stuff betwen walls and headboardsl I felt like something would come in the night and bite me. At no time during our stay did anyone come in to replace towels, make beds, etc. which motels usually do. Odd that a chain of well-respected motels would allow that. But, it was extraordinarily hot in Bend and the air conditioning worked well, the breakfast was decent, the pool nice.

There was toothpaste spit, and hair in the bathroom sink. The bathroom and full-length mirror has not been cleaned. The ceiling above the shower had water stains from a leak with pealing paint that broke off into the bathtub. The box-spring cover of the bed was stained as if someone got sick over the side of the bed. The free breakfast is decent. The hotel is pretty close to town, but there is a huge houseless community camping the full length of a rod one block away. We did not feel safe walking around the area. The front dest staff are nice, but the housekeeping staff need to be retrained.

I love coming to Bend and visit, when I do I choose to stay here. I have never encounter any problems not issues with any of the staff. They have been nothing than friendly, helpful, caring and ready to help out for any needs. They have always welcome my family and self, with a smile in their faces. This is my place to come and stay and enjoy what Bend has to offer. Thank you all for such exceptional job you all do.

This hotel has very limited parking and an adjacent homeless encampment. I did not feel safe having to park on the street and walk alone. The hotel does not provide security or escorts in/out. Fitness room closed and breakfast area limited on what they are blaming on COVID however neighboring hotels do not have the limitations. Completely over priced for what they are proclaiming

side doors won't work Awful amenities there's zero parking after 5pm you'll also have a view of abandoned rvs staff is friendly but hotel it's self isn't worth the money overly priced. There's many options around I figured a bestwestern plus would be nicer than the average like they claim to be the marketing team must be gold because this place was absolutely sad.

I stayed at this property in 2017 as a Holiday Inn Express, and it was much cleaner, maintained, and better run then. Granted we've just come out of covid restrictions and it's hard to find employees, but they were running way behind in housekeeping and at 4 PM on a Saturday, a line of guests were waiting for rooms to be ready before they could check in. Morning breakfast was minimal, and the woman on duty was not pro-active in refilling coffee, coffee cups, yogurt, etc. People had to go looking for her in order to get some assistance. Our room was clean but, again, minimally so. We were here on business for one night so it worked, but I'd not recommend it for someone looking for a few days for relaxing vacation. In addition, the homeless campers directly behind the motel and the even larger encampment a block away are disconcerting - though there's nothing the motel can do about it. Not their fault, but a detriment to their ability to come across as a quality property.

Hotel looks nice however, the room carpet was spotted and dirty. Behind the hotel was a homeless encampment of RV's parked on the street so our view out our window was a line of beat up RV's where homeless live. After getting back one evening an escort was in the lobby waiting and got a call from a client. My son was in the workout room where the ceiling collapsed from a significant water leak. The pool was green with algae and looked gross. Breakfast had little to nothing. Warm orange juice, and little else. Lastly the parking lot had little to no space from the truckers and other trailers taking up 5-6 spaces leaving no spaces for single vehicles staying there

Prelim check in at 2pm however nobody allowed until 4pm. No text message from hotel saying this option not available even after the hotel asked for a current cell phone to send messages if a problem. On a 108 degree day it would have been nice to receive such a message. Credit card billing indicated that this Best Western is a Holiday Inn Express to add to the confusion.

The hotel room carpet was dirty and sticky. Our bag breakfast food was moldy which we didn't realize until my son had already eaten some of it. The hotel only offered us $10 off our room. The air conditioner did not work.

Appropriate front desk plexiglass partition for COVID-19 prevention. The lady seemed somewhat mechanical going over the state-mandated precautions, this one still in effect, no longer doing that precaution. She brightened up when she told us our breakfast would be the first time in a long time the Health Department allowed them to serve a full hot breakfast! Once she got through the list of mandates, it seemed she changed, and I realized she was someone my wife and I would enjoy knowing. Check out the local photos on the hallway walls, and in the room we stayed in. The pictures are not super-high resolution, but quite an interesting variety and well worth studying.

Had a great time once staff knew who we were. But overall, they were very stressed and overworked and that came out to the guests. Likely an issue they will solve as nationally, retail and service industries are short-staffed as we come out of Covid. I highly recommend this place.

Front desk woman looked annoyed like we were bothering her. No greeted smile either. Not a good first impression. Maybe she was having a bad day. Hotel seemed a bit run down. Not the Plus quality I expected but was clean. In fact had to double check that it was a Plus. Breakfast was ok. Some hot food. Homeless camp behind hotel. We had just stayed at a BW Plus in Boise for less money and it was so much nicer with a friendly staff. I would choose another place the next time.

The hotel itself was fine. The front desk person was very friendly and the room was clean. However, we drove through a homeless camp to get to the hotel and could see it from our window. Some kind of warning or reassurance would have been nice.

We spent two nights at BW - Bend North and had a good stay. I noticed that another reviewer said something about homeless camps around the hotel, but we honestly did not see anything like that during our stay in May of 2021. This hotel is right next to a Volvo dealer and a Quality Inn. We found the hotel clean and fairly updated. If street noise is a problem for you, you should try to get a room with an odd number so you are on the back side of the hotel. Road noise wasn't bad unless you're pretty sensitive to sound. Didn't bother my husband at all. Bed was comfortable to us. The fridge in the room is pretty small, had no freezer compartment or temperature control, and the microwave was not designed for much but heating water and popping popcorn. So it took longer than normal to reheat stuff we brought for breakfast. While the hotel says they offer free breakfast, it's not what they were serving "pre-COVID." This was a "grab & go" bag that had a fruit bar, water, a fruit cup and either a muffin or packaged danish. At best this would be considered "continental" and you have no choices. In my opinion, they would be saving customer frustration if they could at least give people choices. BUT when I spoke with the desk clerk about this, she said they had been trying to open the breakfast bar by hiring someone to be a server, but they weren't having any luck getting applicants. Apparently the potential applicants are getting more money staying home on unemployment and getting COVID supplements, so there's no reason to get a job. Very sad! We would stay in this hotel again if we were in the area. It was a great location for anyone going to Smith Rock State Park as it was only about 30 minutes away.

Room was spacious and for the most part clean. There was a beer and a half drank rootbeer left in the fridge from the previous guest. The mirrors and the tvs were filthy. Their curtains suck, so had to deal with the streetlights shinning in on me like a spot light. At least the sheets were clean and the shower was hot. Breakfast is just a grab and go with fruit cups, pastries and granola bars nothing fancy but better than nothing. Watch out for the homless camps behind the hotel and along the side of it, not the hotels fault of course it's just very creepy and off putting. Probably wont stay here again.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had! No exaggeration. I was sent to TWO dirty rooms where the sheets were NOT clean. A hotel employee STOLE my medical marijuana! I'm exhausted and don't have the energy to go to a different hotel. Don't come here. This place is dirty and dishonest! I'll be getting ahold of management tomorrow. 0 stars! Even the doors to my 3rd room are sticky. Can't believe this.

Our recent stay at the Best Western Plus Bend North Location was another pleasant experience once again. My wife and 3 children stayed one night there and would definitely be staying there anytime we visit Bend, OR. The whole family enjoys the indoor pool/spa that has been at every Best Western we've stayed at so far and with COVID Social Distancing in place you get 30 min sessions all to yourself and my family loves the privacy. The staff were joyful and pleasant throughout our stay and couldn't give a better recommendation for anyone looking for a pleasant getaway.

I would suggest a refreshment training course for the assistant manager. As she is extremely unpleasant and impossible to deal. I never seen her use hand sanitizer and has mask below nose I was to nervous to even say anything due to her rude demeanor I went out my way to avoid this woman

I have only ever been to one other Best Western that was as bad as this. I can't believe they are even able to keep their franchise. The first room we were given smelled like cigarette smoke (in a non smoking hotel, tell me the maid couldn't smell that? Right.) Then the next room hasn't been vacuumed at least since the last guests if not longer. Now let's move on to the bathroom. The shower looks to have been "rinsed" at best and there was actual fecal matter on the wall behind the toilet. The floors had a master attempt at sweeping and smearing. The closet has god knows what dried and crusted on it. I have little faith that any room in this hotel is any different. If I wasn't completely exhausted from being in an airport and on a plane all day I would leave right now. But as it is, I need to try and rest after extensive abdominal surgery on the 3 miniature pillows they provide on a king size bed. I'll be calling Best Western corporate first thing in the morning.

I highly recommend this location in Bend. The room was clean and I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was available and I'm happy there was a quick option available. It was very easy to travel from the hotel to where I needed to go.

I have stayed at this hotel many times when it was the holiday inn express and was very satisfied. Checked in and noticed that the hallways had not been cleaned in some time. The floors in the bathroom and sitting area had not seen a vacuum as well. Here was the big kicker. I took my personal pillow in because there were only 3 on the king bed. I was set up for a major surgery the next morning and was called in early and we left the hotel in a rush, leaving behind my pillow. The next morning I was put in the car to make the long trip home and realized my pillow had been left in the hotel. I call the hotel to tell them we will be by to grab it and guess what.....it's nowhere to be found!! Although I needed that pillow desperately for my car trip home, I'm glad that it was something so simple that was “nowhere to be found” I'm disappointed that this will be a place I will never stay again as dishonesty with something as priceless as a pillow could have easily been something of value.

Great front desk service, quick, courteous and clean environment. We are rewards members and qualified for an upgrade and it was a nice suite. Close to a minute mart and the main hwy 97 that runs thru Bend. Easily accessible.

After a long drive it was so nice to find a comfortable and friendly hotel. We were within a mile from several eating establishments. Taking into consideration all the Covid restrictions the staff did an excellent job of taking care of our needs.

I have stayed here several times this and have had no unsolved issues. The entry from hwy 97 can get a little tricky at rush hour, freshly painted and is very clean. If you get the rooms around the elevator you will NOT hear it operate(room 319) last trip. All security features were working.

Stqfff was exceptional. Extremely friendly and professional. Given an upgrade for being a rewards member. Business center was closed due to COVID but staff helped with copies and faxes. Room was clean and nicely updated. Hotel was quite and well maintained. Location was not convenient for access to downtown but room value was excellent.

The location was great. The room was nice. Fairly quiet. The bed however, was long past worn out. Homeless camp close by. We were worried our care would be broken into. We have stayed at this motel for years, but won't stay here again.

Just stayed for one night would not go back. Was during COVID so my two star review was bumped up to 3 but this place had nothing special. It was just ok. Somewhat noisy, staff was adequate but not really friendly, rooms were dated.

Very nice staff! The front desk and housekeeping laides were all so nice! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is really pretty. The pool are was Great. We will stay again next time we stop in Bend!

Due to a last minute change of plans, we ended up here and were glad we did. Check-in was quick, and check out automatic. Staff was masked, polite, and helpful, especially when our take-out restaurant neglected to provide utensils. Front desk had them for us. Nice room, comfy king bed, good shower and tv. We did not use any of the facilities (pool, gym) but were very happy with our room. Choices of 4 "bag breakfasts" was a welcome surprise in the morning.

After driving for 10 hours that day we arrived at the hotel. Check in was very quick and everything seemed to be going OK. Then we made it to our room. The first time we flushed the toilet it overflowed with water going all over the floor. We tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. So we ran downstairs to have someone come look at it but instead we were handed a plunger and told to do it ourselves. It is rediculous to pay almost $200 for a room and plunge a toilet yourself. I tried to plunge it but that didn't work. We were then given two options, check out with a refund or stay in the room with a broken toilet and toilet water all over the floor. I called around to other hotels but everything was booked. Bend is a pretty busy town in the summer. I had to go down and complain multiple times trying to find a manager but the front desk girl was the only one there on a busy Saturday night. Finally after an hour of complaining, getting more towels to clean up the toilet water, taking our 4 kids downstairs to use the lobby restroom, we were told they could clean another room for us to stay in for the night but it would take 2 more hours. That was at 8:30 at night. We have 4 kids with the oldest one being 8. This was a recipe for disaster. The front desk girl was doing everything she could on a busy Saturday night because she was the only one there. No manager, no maintenance people, no one to help her clean the room. She worked hard and cleaned the next room for us which was better but you could tell it was a quick clean and not a full room cleaning and during covid that made me a little nervous but we had literally no other options. Even after cleaning up toilet water and plunging a toilet ourselves we were not offered a discount or anything to try to make up for the disastrous start. It was not the fault of the front desk girl because she was trying to do everything she could bring the only person there on a busy night but be warned, do not not stay here!

The room itself was not bad, but the unvacuumed carpet left me wondering how well it had been cleaned prior to our arrival. Debris was on the floor. A piece of driftwood sat propped up in the corner of the room as if no one had even gone to this corner to clean. There is a large sign on the hotel when you drive up saying "now hiring" so perhaps they are short staffed. I sprayed down all the high touch surfaces to be safe. The beds were comfortable and the room we had very quiet. Despite being recently renovated, the hotel's small lobby was small and dreary. The location is really poor. It is basically just off the highway, opposite a gas station across the lot from it. We wish we'd stayed at the Hampton Inn we'd stayed at by the river a few days prior for what we paid for this Best Western. The front door of the hotel says masks are required, and upon check-in, the front desk clerk was wearing a mask, but a staff member who looked to be part of the housekeeping staff (matching dark blue pants and shirt) was behind the desk then in the elevator with guests not wearing a mask. Saw this same employee arrive to work the next day, exit her boyfriend/husband's car, and enter the hotel without a mask. Effective July 24, Oregon requires masks or facecoverings for all indoor businesses. I'd look elsewhere next time to stay for the price we paid.

First, remember that this was during Covid. We knew things would be limited. Upon arrival, hotel looked nice. Obviously a Best Western makeover of a previous property. Front Desk clerk only available with a bell. We checked in around 8. She was friendly. I asked about local eateries nearby (you have to drive back south to find anything). I asked if they were open (she said all are open till 10 because of Covid). We asked about the pool, because the kids really wanted to swim and the Reservtions clerk we spoke with earlier said it was available even though CV 19. Clerk now said not available until 10PM, as they were doing individual family groups and scheduling those on a sign-up sheet for 30-minute intervals. So we took the 10pm slot. Then we left and headed south to the restaurants she suggested- all were closed, at 8PM. So we went further south into Bend and ended up getting fast food. Back to the hotel, waited til 9:55 then went down to use the pool. Our key card did not work, so I went to the desk. No one there, so I rang the bell. 5 mins, still no one. 2 more guests came in to check in, still no one. Rang the bell more times, no one. Called the line, no one answered. 10:15 the clerk came out of the elevator. Apologized, said she is the only one with a key card due to Covid, and no guest cards work. 10:15 we finally get in the pool. Pool area and spa were filthy. You could not see the bottom of the pool. Spa water seemed OK until you turn the suds on. Bubbles had the appearance of dirty sea foam with visible scum on them. I too a board and skimmed the scum off the water so it was more comfortable to use. Then, promptly at 10:30, and with no clerk and key-card to let them in, two women waltzed in to the pool room demanding their time slot. As they watched us packing to leave, we overheard them talking about the clerk, whom they obviously were acquainted with. It was very apparent at that point that these women had a key card to the pool- possibly to the whole building- if it was indeed the clerk's master. Very disappointed in the manner in which this happened. The big selling point in reserving was the pool- the boys really looked forward to it. To wait until 10, then stand around looking for a clerk till 10:15, then get kicked out by two friends of the clerk so they could have their time, all while paying full price, big reason for me not to return. Pool was filthy so I guess we should have been glad to get out. The second floor hallway had bedding laying on the floor outside one room, and no fewer than 3 black garbage bags on the floor across from ours, when we arrived at 8PM. That was all still there when we checked out at 9 the next morning. Obviously some management issues here. The check-out clerk the next day was pleasant. The sack-lunch style breakfast had a microwaveable burrito in it- Huh? Looked like it came from the gas station cooler next door.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room and bathroom have been updated. At the time we went, the hotel was remodeling the lobby area. As expected, Holiday Inn Express offered clean rooms and excellent breakfast.

Reasonable rates, comfortable beds, excellent water pressure and a good breakfast -what's not to love? We've been coming to this hotel, regularly, for over 12 years and we consider it "home" when we visit Bend. Theresa, at the front desk, is what customer service is all about and represents the bar by which all employees should be measured. She is an absolute delight and we look forward to seeing her every time we visit. The lobby area is lovely, with a large fireplace and comfortable seating. Our preference is for a room on the top floor, with windows facing the beautiful Cascade Mountain views. We love this hotel!

Efficient and friendly accomodating check-in staff. Requested top floor to avoid any noise from guests above. Room nice and quiet but a bit on the small side. Bed and linens comfortable and bathroom nicely appointed. Breakfast was standard fare for Holiday Inn Express. Their individually wrapped gluten(had no need for gluten free) free muffins were excellent!

Holiday Inn Express Bend is along I-97 north of the city center, and it is a bit isolated. However, it is a very good and quiet hotel. I had a very good room with a comfortable bed, and insulation from outside noise was very good. The bathroom was very good, too. Breakfast was excellent, according to the best Holiday Inn Express standard. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is located right off Highway 97 as you travel south from Portland, making it very accessible. There is ample parking right outside the premises. Check-in was straightforward however the spa and pool were both out of service. Whilst this was outside immediate control of the staff it was the main reason I selected this hotel and chose to pass through Bend on my way to Idaho. In fairness to the receptionist she did offer me 5000 priority points to compensate me and this was acceptable. The room was clean and relatively large however it fails me how it could be termed to be suite. There was nothing to distinguish it from a very basic room, complete with generic hotel furniture. The decor was extremely plain and somewhat dated and absolutely nothing that made it anything other than featureless, though there was a large wall-mounted flatscreen TV. The bed itself was comfortable and the air-conditioning effective. I had a comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
