Best Western Bemidji

The place has been renovated recently with upgraded USB/electric outlets and lighting. The general layout of the room is the main issue - it is VERY small and low ceilings which make it feel clostrophibic. The bathroom....SMH....has be the smallest space for a bathroom I've ever seen. Cleanliness- mostly clean but in need of deep cleaning. Cont. Bfast average.

Chose this location because they had a pool area that had tables and chairs so I assume that we could order pizza and have cake in there like every other hotel we've ever stayed at but apparently not so we will just choose a different hotel from now on not a big deal. Just want people to be aware.

This hotel needs some major updates and a deep clean. The breakfast area has the standard waffle and eggs, but no fresh fruit (apples or bananas even) The TV remote didn't work well at all, the beds are metal frames and make noise with every move, but I thought that mattress was comfortable. Again the rooms were not clean, didn't feel clean and made it hard to sleep or shower. No pool towels or clean towels at front desk for our room.

Through the years of hotel hopping for work I've tried the range of options. I've never been let down staying with best westerns or their affiliates it's always been the best bang for your buck. And you truly feel appreciated with their reward programs. If I'm honest I wished I would have not spent the couple years trying others out

The staff was extremely courteous. the hotel was very clean and had a nice pool area. Usual hotel style breakfast but it was satisfactory. Parking lot was a little tricky to get to, but the hotel is ina busy area so there are plenty of food options nearby.

Check in was very easy, We went to our room and it was so small for having a queen bed that we went to the front desk and asked if they could change our room, The man at the desk was very nice and before long we had another room, It was great. Breakfast was good, Parking was good.

Ultra - Modern room with lots of AC outlets and both USB & USBC ports. Our room also had all of the nice amenities and extreme comfort. The only downside is it's out of the way location. There is a gas station with small C-Store close by as well as a Chinese Buffet (which was very good). So all is not lost. Price is "just OK" but at least this property delivered on that price, that included a good breakfast.

My son stayed at this facility and accidentally left his JBL Bluetooth speaker in the room. We have checked back a couple times and the speaker has not been turned into the office. Obviously a dishonest staff member obtained a “new to them” speaker. Disheartening!!! Won't be staying here again!!!

Friendly staff and clean room. The hotel was packed but was very quiet. There was street noise from the highway but only noticeable with the window open. Could have used more variety in pillow size because the huge one hurt my neck.

We have never taken our dog to a hotel and the experience was great. Room was available, nice grass area to take him out. Room was clean. Service was great. We always stay at Best westerns and will continue.

This hotel is dated and definitely need refreshing. The front desk had a hard time finding my reservation, even though it was prepaid through Hotel.com. There were a few other hiccups. The manager said that a new management company had just taken over, but that should not impact the guests as the staff should have been properly trained

This was not a positive experience. The first room we were sent to was already occupied. The second room was upstairs and there's no elevator. Breakfast was not good. A poor experience for the price range.

The person checking me in was not very helpful and when I checked in I had to call for service. When I came.out to ask.a.question could not find him so I never got it done he had to fix my tv when I got there and then it went out again could not find him to get it fixed

No heat in my room, broken window in my room and also one of my coworkers. The phone didn't work at all. The room was very very small. I asked for house keeping and they did everything but make the bed. The bed was really firm. I couldn't figure out how to cute the light off behind the tv for the first 4 nights so i slept with the light on. Didn't bother me much at first but after day 3 it started to bother me. The breakfast was really good and always hot wasn't much to choose from but it was definitely nice and refreshing to get you going in the morning and the room looked nice.

Best Western has a 24 hour cancelation policy - and although a Blizzard in Minnesota shut down schools and businesses. I could not cancel my reservation, and paid for a day I was not there. Very very poor customer service, and I am sharing my experience with everyone

I've stayed at this location once a week for the last six or seven months I've never seen them stop making improvements threw this time. It's always nice to see people taking so much pride in customer service and personally keeping the location updated and maintained

Staff is always nice, the room was updated, décor was nice, bed comfortable. There was no chair, but otherwise, everything was just fine. Breakfast was also good. Quiet, affordable, and conveniently located,

THIS HOTEL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!! When I said there was no mention of the construction on the website they said “ohhh, ya sorry we are so busy we haven't had time to up date the site.” There is crap in the parking lot. Old mattress leaned up against the outside wall, the hallways are full of stuff!! Not the best choice, Go to a different hotel.

No headboards, but holes in wall where they were. Gross stains on shower walls and carpet. Doorknobs falling off. Charged full price for a room that may have been half way through a renovation (wishful thinking). Didn't dare go under covers or go barefoot in room.

I'm a diamond with BW, and figured why not choose this hotel for a stay. I regret it 100%. Hallways smelled like vomit, not enough towels in the pool area, the room wasn't that clean, keycard only worked half the time. Overall I've had better experiences at a Super 8 hotel for half the price.

I have decided that Best Western will always be my first choice when traveling. I feel I can count on BW for a great stay. They are pet friendly and go out of their way to accommodate my needs. They located me near a door and away from other guests. This was my first time traveling with a pet, and BW made it easy!

I am tossed between 2 and 3 stars for this one. There was nothing horribly wrong, it is just clear that the management doesn't seem to care about the building or guests. The rate was very good (better through Best Western's site than Expedia) To start, the fridge is kept in a cabinet that was very hot. (Seemed like a fire hazard) The fridge cabinet squeaks very loudly and could have simply been fixed with WD40. The screws were falling out of the shower curtain mount. The dresser was missing a knob. There is nowhere near the bed to plug in a phone. The shower drain was plugged. I had to ask for that to be fixed. Then, when I got back for the day, I found a huge hair ball in my toilet which must have been what had clogged the shower. Because it got left there all day, it left the stain in the photo. There appeared to be blood on the shower curtain. The manager was not friendly at all and was on the phone the whole time with non-customers and seemed like he was having his life interrupted by the customers. To put this in perspective, I recently stayed at a hotel that was recently purchased by new management. It still needed a lot of work, but you could tell the new owner was trying to fix things. They got a five star because you could tell the attitude was perusing excellence. This Best Western was only attempting to survive.

I stay at this location every Tuesday I've I've never been let down and they really keep it clean and quiet it's located with perfect for access to the town with parking for semi's they have a great variety for breakfast and the coffee is always hot

We stayed at the Best Western in bemidji while fishing in the area. The first morning we left at 5 am and house keeping didn't make up the room, second morning we wanted to sleep in and had house keeping knocking on the door prior to 8 am, rude. At breakfast the hotel staff kept watching us from around the corner as we ate, creepy. We've stayed here multiple times and never had a experience like this.

We have stayed here several times before and always had a great experience. This time however was different. Having a working pool and hot tub is very important to me and my husband when going to hotels. We went to use the hot tub and it was plenty hot, but we couldn't get the jets to work. We went to the front desk several times to ask about it, the guy comes in pushes a button points and says “see, it works”. Then left when I said no it doesn't. The picture is a picture of it “working”....I mean if it's not working just say it don't pretend like it is. Jets did not work, maybe just a slight current lol

I went to Bemidji to have a fun bike ride around Lake Bemidji. It was about 5 hours and my muscles were hurting when I returned to the hotel and looking forward to the whirlpool and pool time to relax. When I went down to the pool with my little dog in this “dog friendly” hotel. I was told she could not stay in the pool area even under my supervision. I went back to my room with her and let my friend go first. When she got done, I went down and was told I could not stay as the pool and whirlpool was going to be treated and cleaned for 2 hours minimum. And the worst part was that it was on a Saturday afternoon of all days to schedule this. When I had my room booked for 5 weeks in advance and this could not be done prior? I was so disappointed and upset and I did not plan to go back down there after supper because I was too tired. I do understand though that somehow they suddenly decided to clean the whirlpool and pool because the water in the whirlpool was so brown the maintenance man told me it's too dirty to let me stay. Unfortunately my friend did not know how filthy it all was but suspected and at least used the showers in the area to clean off good afterwards. She said 2 people came in when she was there for one lap in the pool and left also.

The first room I was supposed to stay in was in a mess it wasn't ready garbage in garbage can towels on the floor bedding in a heap so I had to go back to the front counter to get another room then I was given the same room on the bottom floor and the room stunk of cigarettes the tub was dirty the TV didn't work the heat was cranked so hot it was unbearable the pillows and bedding also stunk of cigarettes the bed was very uncomfortable and old the floor didn't look like it was vacuumed had to repair the TV myself the pillows were horrible I would not recommend anybody stay here it is filthy.

And after we checked in & unpacked, the front desk stopped us outside & told us we couldn't have our dog here, because they didn't give us a pet friendly room. This ended up being kind of a big hassle, my husband had to drive back home to drop off our dog. And I don't live in town so now I'm out that much more gas & time. And last time I stayed here the room was freezing, all night. We tried to turn the heat up but the thermostat thing on the wall must just be for decoration or something because it didn't help at all, not even a little bit.

The hotel is outdated and looks like it was last cleaned in the 90s. Leaky sinks, broken heat in rooms, dirty bedding, floors, walls, food left in fridge from previous guests. Hotel staff was very rude to all our guests in group. The price quoted was not the price of the room when charged.

I took my daughter and a few of her friends on an overnight birthday slumber party. The pool was the warmest pool I think I've experienced at a hotel. The breakfast options were good. Staff were helpful and kind. We will be back.

Absolutely disgusting! Shower didn't drain, hair in the sheets, extremely hot in rooms, spoiled milk for breakfast. I travel a lot for work and I won't make the mistake of staying at a best western again. SAVE YOURSELF!

Absolutely disgusting! DO NOT STAY HERE! Hair all over beds, clump of hair in shower, shower didn't drain, milk for breakfast was expired, microwave didn't work! Worst place to stay in Bemidji! DON'T COME HERE!

The room was fine, could have definitely used more than an ounce of shampoo and conditioner for two of us. Breakfast was terrible! Milk in the cooler was warm, eggs were ice cold and waffle mix was runny. At least all of this is fixable, the hotel itself was convenient and in good condition.

We checked in at 2:00 am. I had previously changed my room over the phone. We arrived and the room I had ordered was not the room we received. The manager and I argued and argued and finally he made me pay for a different room. The charged me twice. The room we got had poop in the toilet and whiskers around the sink and faucet.

The room was dirty dust everywhere and tags from other people's clothing still on top of the dresser. Pubic hair in the shower and on the toilet as well. I'd ask to check the rooms before you check in

We arrived late with 2 small dogs. We were charged $15/dog which is fine. The property manager checked us in and moved us to a "pet friendly" room. The floor had chunks of food and dog hair everywhere, some on the counters. It clearly hadn't been cleaned. We were too tired to deal with it and crashed. In morning the new clerk said our room wasn't cleaned and was marked so. She couldn't explain why we had been put in there. We called the manager and he refunded us $20 and hung up on us.

The front desk clerk did not acknowledge or rewards membership, and he was not very friendly. The room was freezing, when we arrived. Although the room was clean, there was NO soap, shampoo, or any other provisions in this room for us, despite the $130 price tag.

Room was disgusting, i have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the worst! We had 20 rooms reserved and every single one had issues. From bugs in the beds, dirty floors, dirty bathrooms, and many others

Lied to about breakfast, and late checkout while we were in town for the run. And the room had suspicious looking marks behind the toilet. The staff was polite, but the 2 men who seemed to be managers were very confrontational and rude to customers.

Bathroom was not cleaned, toilet had stains in it , fecal matter and no shower curtain. There was also hair in bathtub. When brought to the attention of personal, he states he would get it cleaned right away but instructed me to go to my room to get ready for my outing first. When I returned for the 2nd time, they put a shower curtain in, lifted toilet seat and did not even clean it. Had to complain again and said it would be awhile because he had to call housekeeping back in! The room has a heavy fragrance in it to cover the musty smell. We will never stay here again.

This was a pretty good hotel. things were about as expected. Clean, quiet, and comfortable enough for the night. The only real issue was the internet was not reliable, but this was a very minor problem in the grand scheme.

not a worker to be found in the morning of our stay after an hour wait for someone to open the breakfast room we went elsewhere. waited for three hours for coffee, and never had a cup. so very disappointing

Stayed here because of proximity of airport for an early flight. I stayed here for the same reason years ago and I will say this was better. Bed fine, A/C (window unit)noisy but it worked well. My main problem was that when I left at 0400,I could not raise anyone at the desk and the phone didn't work. I left my name, number and room number on a business card on the desk. I tried again ay 0530 and still no answer. When I returned from my trip home at 1400 today I called again This time Mr. Patel answered and was surprised to hear all of this. So he sent me an email receipt. He made the excuse the attendant was somewhere else on the property and said he would have the phone fixed. Pool was closed for maintenance but I wasn't going to use it anyway.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting. Overall, I had a great experience with the Bemidji staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were greeted by Mr. Patel who apologized for the fact that they were deep cleaning the upstairs so our request for a higher floor room could not be accommodated. He also apologized that the pool was closed. It worked out that we weren't planning on using the pool and that he was able to get us into a room away from the parking lot so we didn't have to put up with headlights lighting up the room late at night. The bed was comfortable, the ac worked just fine. Road noise died down once it got dark so we weren't kept up with traffic noise. The grab and go breakfast lacked a little variety so it got old after a couple of days. They were renovating the place so we definitely ate looking forward to visiting again next year.

Room lacked an alarm clock, room phone didn't work, lobby was messy, and front desk hard to contact. Door to room was difficult to open and close and coding on keycards didn't seem to op work on on one of the two provided. Grab and go breakfast was … unappealing…Not up to the standard I'd expect of this chain. Very disappointed and rethinking my desire to patronize this chain in the future.

The bathroom had feces on the toilet rim and wrappers in the water bowl as well as leftover food in the refrigerator. When this was brought to the attention of lobby attendant, we were promptly given another room which was acceptable, although bathroom floor had clearly not been wiped down. The bed was very comfortable and air conditioner worked well as well as a pleasant lobby. I will only stay here again if nothing else is available.

The room was small but clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager went out of his way to accommodate our request for an early check in time. The only issue we had was that the electrical socket in the bathroom did not work well.

The general location is not attractive but that is why this very well managed hotel offers the most affordable price. This was a business trip so I didn't care about the surroundings. Internet was strong and fast.

The location is good , ample parking, grounds look ok, room linens should be replaced. Kind of dangerous to have a loose hair dryer ( not wall mounted ) next to the sink - laying in a loose bracket, and at the same time the sink spout is so short the water runs onto to sink top with the hair dryer laying there. Not sure why you'd mount a sink faucet that clearly doesn't reach out into the actual sink.

This was the smallest and dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Visible dirt on floors, debris on table surfaces, splatter on mirror, a visible shoe print in the shower, stained bedding. I will not be back.

Room was filthy. Bought cleaner to clean bath. Will never stay there sgain. This was the only room available in. Bemidji for that weekend. Now I no why the were the only hotel in town not fully booked. I read reviews prior but thought, they cant be that bad. I was wrong. Should have stayed out of town and driven in.

Horrible experience here. Avoid at all costs. The dilapidated hotel is only made worse by the terrible front desk staff. One receptionist in particular was extremely rude and disrespectful- especially to females. I honestly cannot believe Best Western allows employees like this. Please read the recent reviews on Google and elsewhere to confirm this review.

Pool not open, mold or some type of black stuff on the ceiling in the bathroom. Smelled bad, kind of like cigarette smoke! Got 2 rooms and the second room the drawer on the night stand was missing and the bathtub was slimey. Was not worth the price

Pool is down for maintince(wonder how long), Breakfast is grap and go from the front desk but you can NEVER find anyone at the desk. Air conditioner is VERY NOISY, even hard for you to talk to others and did not really work well, it was so bad we opened a window and listen to road noise rather than the air conditioner. No lamp near beds. I had to leave a day early for medical reasons and they would NOT refund me for that night.

The beds were dirty and stained and even after reporting it to the staff it was not properly dealt with. The staff was rude and did not know what they were doing. The website also mentioned a pool and breakfast, the pool was closed for no explainable reason and there was no hot breakfast was offered. Very poorly managed hotel and run down. Will never stay there again.

I'm normally not too fussy with hotels, but I wouldn't recommend this one unless you're ok with the cheapest of stays. It was NOT clean. The sheets on my bed weren't clean and I had to go downstairs and ask for a fresh pair to change the sheets myself. When I checked out, the manager offered a $15 discount off of over a $200 bill for the inconvenience. I thought that was bogus. The hotel was sticky and extremely humid and the room AC unit only made it cold, but didn't get rid of any of the moisture. There were sticky stains on the ironing board and the room had a strange odor. Thank God we could open the window and it wasn't too hot out. Not a great night's rest. Honestly, pay the 50 bucks more and stay at the Hampton. The only reason I didn't leave the hotel and demand some of my money back was that every other hotel was completely booked.

I am needy by admission and the night manager, Ryan, could not have been more understanding and helpful. He even did a walkaround to the backside of the hotel to investigate a noise I heard and he also left not one of my requests for services etc unfullfilled. I will surely stay here again!

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We arrived last evening about 8.30pm and we're tired. We were given room and as we entered I noticed a horrible smell. We got the front desk guy to come and investigate and he said the smell was awful and probably due to May flies in the air conditioning. My husband noted that the air conditioner had a blinking light to change the filter. The staff manager pulled off the front of the air conditioner and it was filthy. He sprayed some lemon liquid on it and said he would spray off the filter. Then the room smelled even worse. I told the manager that we could not possibly stay in that room. He said they were full and good luck finding another hotel room that night as Bemidji was full. I did find another room for $200. We took it. The next day we spoke to the manger of this hotel who after speaking to the evening manager only refunded us $40. Despite the money we lost we felt that the possibility of getting sick in that room was not worth it.

We had to have Manger move us to 3 different rooms due to poor housekeeping, he was very apologetic, no shampoo or new soap, used soap, hair in tub, toilet not cleaned, room odor, bed sheets not changed floor not vacuumed to list a few, check in and out staff were very friendly, no continental breakfast yet (being MN.)

When we arrived we were greeted with the harsh 48° air in the lobby because their boilers didn't work and we were told we'd have to just put up with being cold. We then got into our room we had reserved which was for 2 Queen beds. We had 2 FULL size beds that smelled very gross and were extremely stiff. Pillow cases had stains as well. We had no control of temperature in the room either. You could either turn a/c on and freeze or turn it off and sweat through all of your clothes. I found the pool area to be very gross as well and also had a foul smell to it. Our wonderful breakfast the next morning was a rubber muffin, a mushy apple, and a burrito with no heating instructions. Our microwave did not spin and the burrito ended up exploding all over it. We had booked here for a full week and drive 350 miles to get here, our experience was so awful that we left after 12 hours to drive 350 miles back home. This is the worst hotel in all of Minnesota and you would be better off sleeping under a bridge than staying here and putting up with their false advertising.

Quiet room, prompt filling of requests, clean room and bathroom. Needed extra towel sets and information...Manager took care of our needs immediately. Allowed pets! Close to restaurants and shopping. Overall great 4 night stay.

i was so tired from driving all night for my job and it was way early to check in to most hotels but i took a chance and the night manager was super awesome and let me check in so I could get some much needed sleep and they had a nice to go breakfast bag for me when i got up and headed back out to work. thanks much for all the kindness and the jokes too man appreciate u :-)

Stayed the weekend with friends. Hotel staff was excellent. I read on here a lot and see people complain about this or that and about things that no hotel has control over. I talked to the owner during our stay and I think this hotel and staff are excellent, and are doing the best that they can in a new era for hotels (covid) and I tip my hat to them!

Started out bad , stairs to upstairs were dirty and had hairs on them , room was barely big enough for a King bed , desk was about 2 feet from end of bed! Slept well after I gave up trying to do anything on the computer - Breakfast was another joke , supposed to have a to go bag ready by 6 AM , no one at the desk , lights were all out at 6 AM - This should be renamed "Close to Worst Western!!!

Mr. Patel made my stay here one to remember. The service he offers is like no other. He truly values his guests. As an elite member he gave me the service I expected and beyond. He upgraded my room and made sure I was well attended to. This man truly deserves the praise for this establishment.

Hands down the worst customer service! You can tell this manager thinks a lot of himself, but does not care about customer service at all. Just read all of his snarky comments to anyone who posts a bad review. Never says that he will look at it, but always the customer's fault. Worst place ed to stay in Bemidji. Dirty rooms. Dirty parking lot. Junk all over! Disgusting!

I've stayed at numerous hotels for many years. The management and customer service at Bemidji BW is by far the worst. GM is rude and cares nothing of the customers. He is clearly there just for a paycheck. I will never stay there again. Dirty underwear behind bathroom door and sheets smelled like body odor. Gross.

The staff at the hotel was very accomodating and very helpful. They made sure our needs were takend care of and checked in to make sure that we had what we needed. The room was clean and tidy and it was quiet so we had a very restful sleep. We appreciated the bagged breakfast which was enough to get us off to a good start.

We traveled here for a funeral service & as soon as we checked in the AC is not turned on until the GM approves, there was laxatives laying around a pet friendly room (did have my ESA), there was food & old junk under everything. It was disgusting.

There was dog poop everywhere, I had to take my dog across the parking lot over by menards. Very dirty with cigarettes all over, garage bags behind the building and poop all over back there also. Entry door key card was broke so anyone could walk in. Room smells like dog pee. Hairs around the edge of tub. Sheets had stains on them.

We stay for a bonspiel in Bemidji. Our room was clean. The bathroom is on the smallish side. The hotel was very quiet, no loud neighbors. The tv was pretty quiet, even with the volume all the way up it was a little difficult to hear over the fan. Breakfast was the typical Covid grab and go bags. The pool area was clean. The front desk was great. He was prompt on getting more pool towels when I asked, faster than most hotels I've stayed at.

Smallest room I've ever been in in the USA even compared to nyc I was charged to print documents, normally a hotel will do this as a courtesy. Room 111 was broken into by the police apparently there are quite a few drug dealers that stay in this area.

The parking lot was full of trash and the tub wasn't clean. I didn't notice the tub until morning, so I used a washcloth at the sink and checked out. I completed the survey the hotel sent and got a reply addressed to someone I've never heard of saying they were sorry they didn't exceed my expectations. I replied by saying they had added insult to injury by using the wrong name and not offering a fix, then said I would not stay there again. I got this reply from the assistant manager: And we appreciate that you will "be careful not to stay at your hotel". We don't need guests who can't notify the front desk of a problem and thereby give us a chance to remedy the problem, but instead wait until check-out to report whatever the "problem" was and expect a comped room! Doesn't work that way, so again, I appreciate your declaration that you won't be staying at our hotel again. Thank you!

Highly recommend a great place to stayThe staff was very friendly and met all of our needs it was a pleasure to stay with them looking forward to coming back nice motel absolutely love the pool and the hot tub very nice

The room I stayed was terrible. Crumbs under the dresser, it was dusty. When the fan was on in the bathroom you could smell cigarette smoke, there was a big garbage bag and duct tape covering the AC unit and you could see outside of the unit. One group who stayed in another room needed to ask for new bed linens due to there being some sort of DNA stain on it. No one in the group felt safe walking around by ourselves in the hotel or outside the hotel. Very Very SKETCH place.

Very clean spaces and accommodating for hockey players and their parents. All needs were met. Pool and hot tub area worked great for at least 12 kids. Availability of coin op laundry was a bonus. Great price point for our group.

This hotel wasn't horrible and I guess for being the cheapest hotel in the area, it was as expected. There is plenty of parking and the front desk staff were very nice. The building seemed clean and there was a nice variety in the vending machines. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the room. The shower was clean but the tub would slowly fill with water. It seemed like the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned in forever. There were finger smudges ALL OVER the door handle of the main door. There was a ponytail holder on the floor in my room when I got there and five days later it was still there, showing they never vacuumed. There were crumbs on the desk chair. I used my own wipes to wipe down all the handles and the remote control. Overall, the room was fine. It was just a lot of little things that led me to believe that the rooms are not really cleaned very well on a daily basis or even after a guest checks out which is unsettling during these times.

room next door partying so called front desk and girl came down and tried telling them be quiet and got called names and door slammed on her so night manager , (or maybe just manager i guess because he was there like the whole time we stayed - cool guy - anyway they called him a name and that was the end of that they got kicked out and we had peace and quiet for rest of time . would for sure go here again it was nice place (if your not noisey that is haha)

My husband and I stayed for a little get away time and we were glad we chose this hotel. It was very clean and the atmosphere was very inviting. Good hotel doing its best to cope with the restrictions of covid19. I noticed lots of cleaning every time I left my room. Staff appeared to genuinely care about helping guests and answering questions and assisting

I would expect to see this at a 1 star hotel priced at $50/night, not at a room priced at $130. Filth everywhere you look. I'll let the pictures do the talking. We were the first in the pool area on this day, and tables were not cleaned of crumbs, and something gross next to the hot tub. Will NOT stay here again!

I was there on the same weekend that Ida Bob was. The hallways were a mess. People who were obviously not guests were using the laundry facilities as a laundromat. There was a weird dude with an ankle monitor verbally accosting people in the parking lot. Our room was cleaned but towels were not replaced. Sack breakfast was a High-C juice box and a high sugar, high preservative muffin. I never heard any barking dogs or any police visits. The response to Idabobs review is completely false. Don't stay here.

This was a quick stop after a long day of driving. The beds were comfortable and the pizza delivery to our room was fast. (Thank you Keith's Pizza!) However, it appeared that the housekeeping staff had called in sick that day. The carpets throughout the hotel, including our room, were filthy and obviously hadn't been vacuumed recently. There was hair on the bathroom floor from a previous guest. The table had a sticky residue and I could see the outlines of pop cans on it. Worst of all, the entire room smelled like cigarette smoke despite it being a non-smoking room. I definitely would NOT recommend staying here.

We always stay at this hotel when we come to visit my wife's family in the area, and even during this covid crisis this hotel and its staff still provided great service and they do a great job as far as my family and I are concerned.

Hotel was musky, smoky smelling, both inside and outside. There were no accommodations for nonsmoking guests to be outside the hotel. The room was clean, but residual smoke smell was bad. Staff was cordial, but not overly friendly or available. All amenities were in working order and okay for just a sleeping room, but not very welcoming. Breakfast was not acceptable, just tolerable.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and made reservations here for 3 nights. What a HORRIBLE experience !! I was told that there was a recent change in management and it was for the worst. Initially I had repeated difficulties with my room key not being activated or allowing me access to my room. The hallway outside of my room had nut shells scattered all over the carpet and they were never cleaned up during my stay. Additionally, my room refrigerator had someone's food spilled in the bottom which was never cleaned. Upon returning one day, I discovered my room had not been cleaned causing the manager to move me to a different room which was an inconvenience. Next, there were drugs/medications scattered all on the ground outside the side entrance door. When I reported this to the management, they were slow in responding to clean up this mess. Every day there were undesirable looking people (who were not staying in the hotel) hanging outside the door near the parking area smoking and coming inside to use the laundry facilities.The management never asked them to leave. When I inquired about a possible early checkout, the manager was rude and told me there was no early checkout. However, as it turned out, I did not need an early checkout and when I returned to the hotel that day, I was told they had checked me out of my room and they had no room for me. That made no sense since they had told me that rooms stay vacant for 24 hours between rentals..... that was MY ROOM....I was the only one that should have been in that room according to their policy which is apparently not being followed. They refused to give me a receipt. OUTRAGEOUS..... I have never had such a negative hotel experience. The mismanagement of this hotel is unlike any Best Western I have ever stayed in. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.

My "King Deluxe" room was very basic and cramped. The towels and bedding were thin and worn. The room had a musty odor, and there appeared to be either dirt or mold on a portion of the ceiling. The in room coffee maker didn't work, and what we were given for a to go breakfast was very poor. The web site speaks of extra cleaning happening during the Covid time, and yet the lobby area had smugged windows, dirty carpets, and soiled furniture. I would have gone elsewhere but had made a nonrefundable prepaid reservation. This facility doesn't live up to Best Western standards.

I had no problems during the stay. Room was quiet, everything worked well. Good quality TV and comfortable bed, everything was fresh and clean. No elevator which was fine with us, there's only two floors anyway.

Upon check-in we discovered a number 2 in the toilet. When we tried to flush the toilet it got plugged and the odor that filled the room was horrific. In addition, there were chips all over the floor, wet towels in the corner and stains on the bed skirts. We moved rooms. Te following day, our room wasn't cleaned. We asked twice. When it was finally "cleaned", the blankets were pulled up and fresh towels left on dresser. Our heating didn't work properly and we had the window open all weekend (in January). You couldn't tell who the staff were - no name tags or uniforms of any kind. No one ever seemed to be working the front desk. It took 15 minutes to check out because we couldn't find anyone working in the hotel. On our first morning, the police were searching hotel as a man who'd just robbed the Menards, decided to hide in our hotel. During breakfast, random people who weren't staying there were coming in the breakfast area to eat and then nap in the corner. One night at midnight we saw two guys walk in and go through the laundry in the dryer that guest were using to clean clothes. Had we been able to get a room at another hotel, we would have left immediately. Very unimpressed with hotel, staff, accommodations, and location. We were shocked this was a Best Western as we have always been pleased. Do not stay here.

My (electric) car and I both rested comfortably. Small touches: excellent "down alternative" pillows, and the soap and shampoo actually were not over-scented, nor allergenic (that might be a first.) Guilty pleasure, fresh biscuits and gravy one of the mornings. (block heaters can't add miles to an electric car, but you can pull a few amps to keep the battery happy on a cold night, and charge elsewhere in town.)

The place was very nice and very inexpensive. I loved the length of the pool and how quiet it was in the pool and in the hotel. The staff were nice and accommodating. I am already thinking of doing another trip here soon.

The staff was friendly and helpful! Answered all of my questions and offered suggestions and options for eating out and entertainment. Pet friendly and even gave my pup a treat bag!! Pool and hot tub were clean and well heated!! Pool room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed two nights. Beds not overly comfortable but the place was very clean and our stay was pleasant. When we checked out, Dee was at the front desk and spent a lot of time looking at our bill. She said we may have been slightly overcharged and we should be receiving a credit of approximately $41. We left happy and would stay again.

the Best Western in Bemidji is very nice hotel. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Very helpful staff. Clean rooms. A little small but quiet big enough for my purposes. Good continental breakfast.

This is an older Best Western which was having much work done to improve plumbing in the bathrooms when we were there. The staff attempted to secure the areas where solvent odors were most intense, and our room was moved to accommodate the work. This was good because the bathtub drain was quite problematic our first night. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was very adequate. I would definitely stay here again. The location is great. We also appreciated the winter plug-ins because we were able to use them for our plug-in hybrid car. We would love to see the addition of EV fast chargers which are becoming more common and would definitely be an attractive amenity for us. I am a BW Rewards member and was not disappointed in the hotel.

Great value for the cost of stay. It was extremely valuable to have access to a local Anytime Fitness center in place of no fitness center at the Best Western Inn. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great variety of breakfast choices.

Very convenient location on the intersection of the two main roads. Easy entry and exit. Room was very clean and comfortable. Was expecting it to be noisy this close to highways but room was very quiet, no noticeable road noise!

This two level property is older and the king room we had was a bit small, which would be our only negative. Also, there was no elevator, which may be a negative for some people, but not a deal breaker for us. PROS: Conveniently located and clean. Plenty of hot water, shower/sink drains work as designed, WIFI worked without interruption, staff was cordial, breakfast offered hot and cold items, beds and pillows very comfortable. One thing we always appreciate in our travels is having laundry facilities available on site, so we were glad to have that amenity here, too. Con: I thought the room was a bit pricey, but that's often driven by location/time of year/market acceptance, so I would say it is competitively priced, just not to my particular liking. You may not even notice.

The hotel is conveniently located right off of highway 2. The room was basic and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. They have a good selection of breakfast items and good coffee. Reasonably priced. Only complaint is that when I asked for a receipt, all I got was a piece of paper saying the balance due was the full price; not a balance after payment.

Employee Natasha was very pleasant wish had more of her at every business. She has a great work ethic was extremely helpful from check in to breakfast to check out. Not only that but was very professional.

Prime location. Plenty of parking. A pool with long hours. Nice rooms. Cold water and hot coffee always available in the lobby. A well balanced free continental breakfast with both hots and colds and long hours of morning availability. If you're coming to this city, this is the place to stay. My first experience with Best Western, and certainly not my last.

Was surprised by this Best Western location. Pool closed for repairs, no workout room, and guest rooms, while clean, were small and with full sized mattresses instead of Queens, and sink outside of actual bathroom was also very small.

I was really excited to find this dog-friendly hotel in Bemidji. The hot breakfast was great and had a lot of variety. But the room was very small. We got a room with 2 full beds and had 2 adults and one dog. We felt pretty cramped with just us, so I don't know how you could fit a family in there.

Place is a dump. Room smelled of stale cigarettes, internet didn't work at all, water took forever to get hot. Would never stay here again. Night attendant was clueless on internet. There are much better hotels nearby,

Management very accommodating and great location. Close to shopping and The Super Buffet is next door. Beds were above average, rooms were clean and to top it off pet friendly. The free breakfast was above average. I will return.

Surprise snowstorm stranded me and Bemidji for most hotels filled up, BWS last resort. Had to wait at front desk for 10 minutes Dylans zero before employee showed for check in. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable bathroom with lighting was clean but curtains were torn/ghetto (demonstrating deferred maintenance by ownership.) Not worth more than $75night in this Midwest town. Thin walls, listened to neighbor until 2am

The staff are helpful. The room was clean. THE Fridge and microwave worked. Any issues that cane up were addressed promptly. The house keeper did a nice job cleaning up between nights . Just wish parents of younger kids would prevent them from running and yelling in hallways in the evening. I understand monitoring kids is NOT the hotel staff's duty.

I booked a block of rooms and had nothing but trouble with every room that was booked by every individual in the block. Some had to give all of their information 3 times because somewhere along the line it was lost or deleted. It was on going from day one with confusion and a different story every time I spoke with someone.

Pool was clean and warm. Room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was warm and plentiful. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice it was for the price. We will be back as we are in Bemidji often to visit family.

The hotel offered the basics we needed--clean, reasonable-sized room with a microwave and refrigerator, breakfast, pool for the kids and proximity to our main destination. It was a good value for the price.

The room was average. One of the main reasons we chose this motel was because of the breakfast. The information stated breakfast would be served at 7 a.m. We were there at that time, the room was dark and no one was around. Managed to find the person responsible for breakfast; she had attitude, said she was running late. (She said everything would be ready in 5-10 minutes, but it took half an hour.) Was very rude. She coughed continually. The scrambled eggs were cold, as was the bacon. The pancake (or waffle?) maker wasn't functioning properly, maybe hadn't preheated enough. We didn't complain, but another guest did. This employee returned to the dining room, piled eggs and 8-10 slices of bacon or more on a plate, and was feeling them with her bare hands. Not sure what she did with them after handling them, as we left the area. We had had enough. Food not to temperature (a great way to wind up with food poisoning), a sick employee who really ought not to have been handling food and who definitely SHOULD have been wearing gloves, and other issues. Another guest said a different employee had done breakfast the day before and everything was great. Would not stay here again; there is no way of knowing which employee will be doing breakfast which days. This might be an OK place to stay if you don't care whether or not you have to buy breakfast elsewhere.

The rooms were clean but cold. For middle November, you would expect the rooms to be heated better. Luckily, we had an old blanket in our car. At ten o'clock we ended up going to get it from our car so we could sleep. On our second morning, the breakfast was cold. We were one of the first down to the dining room. Cold sausage, cold eggs, waffle iron not turned on. I had to turn them on because the person in charge forgot. If all other accommodations are taken, stay there. But otherwise no.

We happened to visit Bemidji on a weekend when it was nearly impossible to get a room. The Best Western had the only opening that covered most of our trip so we went with it. As other reviewers mentioned, the rooms are small. The rooms are dated. It is just average. There are better properties in the area where you get a more updated building and decor, plus a lake view.

The room was nice and I must say it was the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever had in a motel. It was me and my two children ages 11&13 and our dog. Bathroom was a little small and cramped but we made do for it was only a weekend. they do accept pets which is a good thing because that is very hard to find nowadays. many places in the area for food delivery and the continental breakfast is wonderful, there are many things to choose from. Pool is nice and they also have a hot tub. Walmart and Target are right across the street as well as many other shopping stores if you are looking to do any shopping.

The room was on the smaller side, though rather clean. The absence of the elevator is rather disappointing, especially if you are to carry several bags on the second floor. The things that we liked the most about this hotel is the breakfast. The choice was unexpectedly ample.

I have always given this hotel great reviews but this year was disappointing. I reserved a king room many weeks in advance (with a confirmation) but when I arrived they didn't have any available. They downgraded me to one of the smallest cheapest rooms available and the rate wasn't that much less since they didn't give me as good a government discount on the smaller room. There was also a large tree completely blocking the window in my room so it was very dark and gloomy in there. They were out of scrambled eggs when I went for breakfast so I wound up with a couple of tiny biscuits for my breakfast.

This was an older hotel that needs alot of updating. Looks like they have been redoing some of the rooms yet they do not have an elevator and walking up the open stairs was not easy carrying bags.Would have been nice to have this listed on website so one could make a decision about staying at this location. Staff seemed not friendly or welcoming just sadly doing their job. Sadly cannot recommend staying at this location.

Everything was just great, staff, room, amenities, breakfast. We just kept commenting how nice everything was. I would definitely stay there again if we are ever in that area again. Overall great experience.

this is just a ok Best Western I had to deal with the front desk 3 times and each time there was no one there had to use the phone outside of doors to call for help to check in and etc Seems un like a best western not friendly and i dont really care attitude. The room was ok but strangly enough the sink was placed right at the door...odd and presented a strange way of making sure u were not at the sink leaving or coming in. seperate vanity and bath which is good so two people could get reay breakfast just ok

We were there to bike on the Paul Bunyan Trail. The rooms were big enough to put our bikes in at night. Would stay there again. There were plenty of places to eat. Loved the area. The hotel breakfast was very good.

The price was $20-25/night cheaper than the others in Bemidji, but there might be a reason for that. The pull up and unload area by the door is on a hill! How much sense does that make? Hot tub dial was broken, so no bubbles, but the temp was good. Breakfast was good when it was full ( not always). I had to ask for hot water for tea and oatmeal 3 out of 5 days. To her credit the breakfast lady was also the front desk lady. C'mon managment, give a girl a break! Hire the people to do the job!

We had an efficiency room and it was small but perfect for us. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast had everything we needed. Best value for the money we've had on this trip.Thank you!

Had an overnight when picking up my daughter at camp in Bemidji, and was looking for something relatively inexpensive but reliable. I had stayed at the Quality Inn the previous summer (total disaster - stay as far away as possible), and was extremely satisfied with the BW. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff, perfectly comfortable room, and very generous breakfast included - all at a great price. I'll stay there again on next summer's overnight.

While on the first leg of our trip, we had the pleasure of being served by Brenda and Dee; both were highly competent, professional, friendly and true assets to their profession and BW.; wish all motel staff were like Brenda & Dee.

We stayed for a couple of days at this hotel. We had a very pleasant stay. Hotel was clean, quiet, & comfortable. Front desk manager Brenda & the night gentlemen were both very friendly. Also Brenda with housekeeping was very nice. We didn't really have much interaction with other staff. Breakfast was normal hotel food for the most part. Couple of things I would change: Not the hotel's fault but I couldn't believe the way people left trash in the parking lot in the morning. I would definitely get that picked up first thing. Secondly, When we arrived it was raining. I was disappointed to see a motorcycle parked under the portico area & not leaving room for anyone else to park. We had to walk in the rain to get into the building to register. We noticed it was parked there overnight & it rained all night. The next day it was moved into the wheelchair area (?) with a cover over it. Not sure why they didn't cover it the night before & move it, but I suppose they didn't want to get wet, but all other guest checking in did. I thought management should have told them to move it as a courtesy to other guests. These two things are nothing major just my opinion. I would definitely stay again!

Very friendly staff from the start. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Only complaint was we couldn't get anything bigger at the time than a double. (Just put at least queen size in all rooms). Lots of linen , didn't skimp there. Nice breakfast with lots to choose from.

Nice property - good breakfast, pool and spa, close to many businesses. We were two women traveling with three dogs, and we felt safe at all times. There's ample space to walk the dogs, and our room (two double beds) was nice and roomy.

Checked in on Thursday and was greeted by one of the nicest front desk employees ever (Brenda) she handled our check-in and was very professional. Enjoyed the exchange and exceptional employee easily a 10 in my book on politeness. Room was clean beds are very comfortable would stay again . Thank you Best Western.

We were up there for Bemidji State Graduation it was nice that they didn't jack up there prices like the rest of the hotels in town Older Hotel but the Hotel staff at the front desk makes up for it would stay again

We stayed here for two nights for the BSU graduation. Very clean room and comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and the price was great. (We did book the no refund rate. ) We did not eat breakfast so I can't comment on it personally but other family members enjoyed it.

My husband and I made a quick trip up to check on the cabin and decided to overnight in Bemidji. We used points for our stay. Although the location at this hotel is not prime for those who want lake views, this hotel was such a terrific surprise! Our room was nicely updated and CLEAN, (tv remote was even put in a special sanitized sleeve)hotel staff is friendly and attentive, and the place is quiet despite being close to a pretty busy 4-way stop. Great place to stay!

We always stay here when in town to visit our son at school. Staff is always very helpful and always greet you with a smile. Rooms are clean and beds comfy. Is are number one choice when we are in town.

Room was small but we didn't need much more. The hotel has been doing some remodeling and looks great. Great gentleman working the desk and was very professional. Fast check in and out. Located close to highway so easy to get where your going. Double beds too small for two people but that is just me. From now on would book queen bed or not stay there.

Not located in the downtown area, which is a negative - surrounded location nothing to write home about. Yes, near highways and easy to get to downtown. I just needed a place to sleep that was clean. It fit that bill. If heading to Bemidji for a vacation, may want a more appealing location.

We were a group of four hunters, having two rooms. The hotel served our purpose of comfortable beds, good showers, good breakfast and convenient parking. The hotel was next to the highway for easy exit from town.

Clean comfortable hotel. Bed was not as comfortable as I am used to, but satisfactory. Also the beds are double size, so only one per bed would be comfortable. Appreciated the late 12:00 noon check out as I was waiting for my husband who was on a business appointment to return. Breakfast was good with usual options.

Always stay here when in bemidji:) staff is awesome and helpful, rooms are super clean and comfy beds. Never any issues. Pets welcome which is a huge gold star in my books! Highly recommend to everyone

Great price for family and friends attending BSU sports functions. Rooms are not overly big and beds are only a double - makes for a tight fit with 4 people in a room. Works if you are only there to sleep and are out for most of the day.

Exceptionally clean room. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast with good variety. There were some renovations in the lobby/stairs area and outside, too, but it was no big deal. It is about 10 - 12 minute drive or so to the conference center,

I love this hotel and the staff. Very clean and well maintained and the price is reasonable. Right in the heart of many retail businesses and easy to find. I love the fact that it's dog friendly and there is a nice dog exercise area outside.

The hotel is well maintained, clean and modern. However we took a room with double bed and discovered the rook was very small and cramped. It was clean and modern though plus the bed was comfortable. At this price level one would expect a larger room. Breakast was good with standard hotel selections. The area was quiet despite being located near a busy blvd.

We were able to check in early and even offered breakfast which was great! Staff was extremely friendly & helpful!! I would highly recommend this hotel if in the Bemidji area. Free breakfast is eggs, meat, biscuits & gravy, waffles & so much more.

the wife and myself were traveling through to north shore Minnesota and needed a rest point, nice location, nice price, clean comfortable rooms. A little dated decor but very helpful and friendly staff.

The room was clean but small. The employee were very friendly and the place was clean. We only stayed one night but would stay again if we're in town. The location was very convenient for us as it is just off the interstate.

had a great time with the tw grandsons! we traveled all around and really enjoyed the pool! IT is crazy how I have to keep writing stuff when I have nothing more to say! it is really a lot to say! we really liked having breakfast ready to go each day!

Very convenient; great heated indoor pool; nice breakfast; good size rooms; ALWAYS enough hot water for showers and good water pressure; goid variety of restaurants nearby; gas station with small store across the parking lot.

I booked a room for my husband and me through priceline.com. Upon arrival we were given a room with 2 full size beds. They were very small, so we each slept in our own bed. If you book a room here with 2 beds with the intention of sleeping 4 people in the room you will be very up close & personal if you put 2 people in one bed. The breakfast was typical free breakfast fare-waffle irons, fruit, little omlettes, sausage patties, & pastries. The staff were very nice. The facility is very nice & clean.

Funky decor of the sawmill theme. The place was happy, clean enough altho warning:it is old and dusty...not much you can do unless a total rehab. For one night it was fun, clean, close to shopping and the OZ museum is near door! I was happy I didn't spend twice as much for a generic placr that would have been close to same.

Just want to thank the staff who always give great customer service. We frequently stay here when visiting family in local college. Each of the last 3-4 times we have stayed here, staff have been very very friendly and helpful. Rooms are slightly dated but amenities are still quite good. Our rooms have always been clean. Customer service a 10. Value is a 10. Only remote criticism is rooms are a little dated but small consequence for the service and dollar value. Would recommend ! If you want newer rooms with lake views sans the service, try the hotels on the lake but be prepared to pay $40-$50 more nightly HJM

Very disappointed to arrive in our room to find hair in the bathtub and poo in the toilet and pee on the back of the toilet. It obviously had not been cleaned but yet the toilet paper was carefully folded in a v shape ... really???

We had a great time here. Several of us were there because of a family reunion. We were able to visit in the morning before the reunion and swim in the evening. Breakfast was great. The only negative was that our internet went down one evening, but was eventually restored.

Nice hotel, comfortable bed and clean. Needs some updating but nothing serious. We asked for a larger bed than a double and they gave us a king at no additional charge. Breakfast was typical for less expensive hotels. Nothing fancy but was good.

Overall this hotel needs an update BADLY!! It is very dark and feels dirty! The main problem was that the A/C Unit in our room was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY!! The filter was totally full of dirt and dust and even the grates/fins of the unit were DIRTY!! So nasty that I did not want to breathe the air coming through that unit.

We stayed here while in Bemidji for a family event. The two double bed room was clean & we were able to squeeze a roll away in so our adult children didn't have to share a bed. The bathroom was tiny, but the sink was separate from the toilet & shower so we were not fighting over the bathroom facilities. The pool area was large & the jacuzzi was hot. Breakfast was the usual premade cheese omelets, waffles, cold cereal & oatmeal. The wifi went down in the evening & was still not working in the AM. They had no idea when it would be fixed - a bit of a hassle for us.

We had a number of things we were doing in the Bemidji area - Senior Softball tournament and a relative's birthday. The hotel was conveniently located (being right in the middle of both events). The breakfast was great. If I was in Bemidji again, I would stay at the Best Western Bemidji. Parking was a bit crowded when we did get back to the hotel - at first we were going to go off to the side and park, but someone left, so we got lucky.

We stopped overnight on our trip Montana. This is a good value, nice and clean , had a good breakfast also. The hotel was close to shopping .I would recommend this hotel for a good nights sleep. I joined the bonus club and will stay at more Best Westerns in the future.

We always stop here enroute to duluth. Price is great with a breakfast, staff is always pleasant. The place could do with a makeover but it's clean quite. Lots of parking and close to town without going right in.

Bed was so comfortable, food was excellent, employees very helpful, pool warm and not overly chlorinated, and it was of people with the concert in town and I was still able to sleep because it was quiet in my room.

We were on an altered travel schedule and decided we wanted to ride the Paul Bunyan paved rail-trail. This hotel came up as a reasonable-priced and decently recommended place to stay, so we booked it for a couple of nights. We were warmly greeted by desk staff and were able to check in early as well as being given a ground-floor room that we requested upon arrival. Although the hotel is older with smaller rooms, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean - we are very particular about these items. The hotel is also at the corner of 2 major highways and near the airport, but our room was quiet, even with the window open at night we felt safe enough to leave it open). The property is located a couple of miles away from the central business area, but that wasn't an issue. It is on the main road leading into town and the connection with the rail-trail. Breakfast was what we have come to expect beyond a minimalist continental breakfast. Food was hot and the fresh fruit fresh. We will stay here again as we plan to return to this part of Minnesota to do more riding of its paved bike trails.

I had issues with our room air conditioning not working, the sink the pipe was broken and all water ran directly on the floor. When addressed with staff no one came to check on this in the room. Disappointed.

We always stay here when we come to Bemidji to trap shoot for a weekend. You are getting a little too much to want a review of 200 words. I can very easy say in a short review that we enjoyed the stay and like I first said we always stay here when we come to Trap Shoot in Bemidji. It is handy for us and close to everything else we might want to do. Eating places are close by and the Trap range is just West down the road on Hwy 2.

The room with king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very small but otherwise it was a great stay. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly. Delicious breakfast with soy milk available.

If you need a hotel that accepts pets in the Bemidji area, this is the best one to use. We always stay here and I believe it is the best by far. It's close to a gas station, Wal-Mart and several restaurants. It has free internet, breakfast and a pool.

Good clean friendly place with easy access to the road and stores nearby. Several restaurants also nearby. Gas just next door. Staff were very polite and not overwhelmed by a large group arriving all at once.

Traveling thirteen hours for a family event, with seven of us jammed into a minivan including three little ones, could not have culminated into a better end of our road trip. Dee, the wonderful young lady at the front desk, engaged our tired little ones, helped us to quickly get into our rooms, and all done with a sincere smile. The woman who prepared our rooms for an early check-in was very friendly, and it seemed that this must be a great place to be employed, as all the staff we encountered were warm and friendly. To top it off, the rooms were very clean and cozy, and there was a large area for morning breakfast. Right off of 71 on Paul Bunyan in Bemidji, the Best Western is easily accessible, and close to shopping. Only downfall is that there isn't an elevator, but hey, a great time AND exercise? BONUS!

Rooms were very clean and bed was great. Front desk staff appeared to have other duties as she was away almost every time we stopped to speak with her. Otherwise, staff was very nice and helpful. Available gym facilities were very good. I would stay there again.

I am a bed snob. The beds here were terrific! I mean they were as good as the Lowe's Portofino in Orlando. Appreciated the nice updated tile in the bathroom, too. The breakfast was way better than average. They had real crispy bacon. : ) We will be back.

I stayed here when I first moved to Bemidji, when I made the reservation there was a mix-up of dates for my incoming flight. I called the hotel and they were very helpful in getting my reservation dates changed. When I arrived it was late and yet the front desk staff was very cheerful and helped me to get checked in quickly. When I arrived at my room I found that it smelled very heavily of smoke (although I had requested non-smoking) I brought this to the attention of the front desk and she quickly got me a new room. The rooms were a little dated but very clean and the beds were excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

I try to stay here each year on my way through to our summer home on Rainy Lake. The rooms are clean and nice. The breakfast is a cut above many comparable properties. The rooms are quite. The location is convenient to Walmart and Home Depot among others as well as being right off US 71.

Room was clean, we had two double beds which was adequate. Bathroom was small, table in room and 2 chairs. Quiet, they had a very nice hot breakfast room which was quite large with newspapers and tv, enjoyed the 12:00 check out. Computer in the front of the hotel with tv and couches. Would stay there again.

Hotel had clean room, above average continental breakfast with numerous hot items, friendly and helpful staff. We didn't use the pool but it was a good size. The breakfast area was probably the largest I've seen which was helpful for seating. A little loud being near the highway but a noise machine covered it up.

Stayed here for one night, in order to go for registration at BSU. Room was clean, but a little small. The exterior sort of had me concerned as to safety and quality when I pulled in at night. But once checked in, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. There was a local school using the pool area for swim lessons when i arrived. But, after I went into the city to get food I used the hot tub which was the perfect temperature, and seemed very clean. The pool area was actually very nice. Nice clean, breakfast area. Which was nice to see that they even had "Silk" products with the other beverages. Nice touch. My only concern was it's "pet friendly". I have a lot of animal allergies. They initially had me on the 1st floor. I asked them to please make sure that I was in a room that pets had not been in. They switched me from the first floor to a room right at the top of the main staircase. P.S. No elevator. Building is 2 floors.

The double bed room may be small but it is plenty big enough for one person who is either traveling light or can keep stuff in the car. I like the classic 1979 Minnesota Highway Map on the hallway connecting the lobby to the rooms and vending area. I found the bed to be comfortable and slept pretty well. Even numbered room are next to US 71 and I did use a fan to cancel out the traffic noise.

My daughter and I were in Bemidji for a college visit. This hotel was great! Rooms seemed recently remodeled and staff were very helpful. Breakfast area was large. I will definitely stay there in the future!

I got an efficiency room for only $70. I travel solo so didn't need two beds. The female desk clerk was very friendly. Modern big screen T.V. with most cable channels. Later a single mom with several unruly kids moved in next door. I tolerated their noise until 10PM and asked the night desk person, another nice woman, to move me to another room. She readily agreed and relocated me to a upgraded room with no extra charge. That is what customer service is all about. Very nice morning buffet. The hotel even makes soup in the evening for guests. I was grateful for the laundry room since I had a full bag of dirty laundry. Only downside is that the hotel is at the end of the business district road, so a little further from restaurants.

The rooms were very Clean. The hotel was very clean. They have Great staff. Breakfast optima are excellent..even offering healthier options as I like to eat clean. Love staying here every time we are in town!

Stayed here with friends and enjoyed our stay for the most part. Good things: comfortable beds, clean rooms, big pool and hot tub, modern furniture/TVs, great breakfast and good staff/service. Areas needing improvement: no recycling, noisy dogs, double sized beds (not queens). Small bathrooms but nothing you can do about that. Would probably stay again.

Ask for a room on the north side of the hotel. Highway 71 to the south is noisy. Otherwise this hotel is very good. Clean, good breakfast, nice pool. The hotel has great location for access to Bemidji.

Your choices are business and pleasure. We motored to Rochester for medical treatment and decided to continue our trip to Green Bay area, then Superior/Duluth and eventually over to Bemidji. We enjoyed the fall scenery.

We stayed in 2 rooms, including a handicap access room. The rooms were clean, fresh, cozy, and up to date - though no frig or microwave. The staff was friendly and accommodated reservation changes at check-in. Breakfast is the standard fare. Our GPS was a little off and put the hotel across the road, but it is highly visible on a convenient corner with visible signage.

Best Western is usually my preferred hotel choice, and this one is probably the best in which I've stayed. Thank you to the great staff! The staff were very efficient, friendly, and customer-oriented. The room was very clean and had comfortable air -- both in circulation and humidity level. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The first night in a new hotel is usually pretty rough for me, but I got the best night's sleep that first night than I had had in weeks. The wifi connection was strong, and I was able to do all of the work I needed to do remotely with my office in Virginia. The fridge and microwave were clean and functioned as they should. The hotel is very conveniently located near Walmart, Target, Caribou Coffee, the airport, gas, and main highways. Perfect stay!

We always like Best Western if it is close to our stops and at price we are looking for. We booked this and ended up checking in earlier than we had planned because it was pouring rain. It was a welcome surprise to see a guest laundry. I took full advantage of it. Only $1 to wash and $1 to dry. Lots of time for the price. The room was great . Clean and comfortable. We were very close to applebee's so headed there for supper. It is right along the main highway but a little tricky to get into. If you don't turn in before you get right to it and try to go around the block you will find yourself on a by pass road with a long way before you can backtrack.

This is a gem property with a rough edge: it is very conveniently located at the intersection of highways 71 & 2 as well as convenient to WalMart & Home Depot, but its driveway is an easy miss that will cost you a long, long trip around the "country block." Service was good and friendly, rooms clean and convenient - all around good deal, just don't miss the unmarked driveway.

My husband and I took a trip up north to see and enjoy the Fall leaves and the color. We found this hotel to be very comfortable and the people very friendly. Wonderful hot breakfast. It was very quiet and very enjoyable.

Returning home from visit to Denver, driving for 2 days in heavy wind conditions and the stay was a nice relaxing evening with swim and hot tub visit. All amenities are close and breakfast is always exceptional.

Because I was inconvenienced and willing to move from room to room during the re-carpeting process, I was given a nice discount on my room. Brenda Parker was very helpful during my stay. The single rooms are a bit tight to get a large suitcase between the foot of the bed and the dresser. But other than that no problem. Breakfast comes with the room.

Newer TV in the room, that's about it. It could use a little updating. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good. The pool looked nice and inviting, though we did not utilize it. Not shiny, but I would recommend it.

This older hotel was relatively clean with the exception of the bathroom (sticky floor and a little mold on the shower caulking). The single double bed room was a little cramped, but met our needs well. The free breakfast was a full hot breakfast that included make your own waffles (very good). It is located in the heart of a busy business district - close to a Wal-Mart, Target and small mall, and many restaurants (next door to a Chinese Buffet that is good). We probably would return to this hotel due to the convenience of the location.

The Best Western has always been our favorite place to stay since experiencing it in California. The staff at the Best Western are always nice and courteous the accomodation's are always good. If there is a Best Western Motel where we are going, it is always our first choice. The price is always fair and the locations are always right on.

Great room for two adults and one child. Spacious room (with a roll away included), large pool for me to do laps, and delicious breakfast all included. Stayed on quiet side, first floor (no elevator for second) and will definitely stay there again. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the one that services the breakfast area. Great personality and hunted bananas down for me when requested.

This Best Western was close to Lake Bemidji and many shops and restaurants. Right next door was an Asian buffet that was pretty good, but two blocks the other direction was a Ground Round. The rooms were nice with everything needed. Hot breakfast in the am. The staff was great with addressing our concerns. We will stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel while moving our daughter in at BSU down the road. The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, love the free breakfast and all at a very affordable rate! We will be back and recommend this for sure!

Stayed here with teens and another adult during a college visit to Bemidji State. This hotel was more reasonably priced than others in the area. The room was very small, we had just enough room for an air mattress but there was not a lot of space for all of our gear. We had issues with the toilet that were somewhat resolved, even after being fixed, it still didn't work real well. The room was clean, the bed was fine, and the breakfast was good. Overall, it was a decent value and I would stay again.

Very clean and comfortable room, had a great sleep. The price was very reasonable. Great breakfast included. Nice little outdoor patio area. Staff very friendly. Later check out than most hotels and pool open later than most hotels, bonus! Would definitely stay here again! We would have stayed a second night but it was booked.

We had a very good night's stay, breakfast room was comfortable, food was good and pool/hot tub were very good. The hotel is located on the West end of the city but it is easy to go anywhere in the city from here.

I'm not a fan of Best Western and certainly this property didn't change my opinion. The room was small. The breakfast was just OK. The bed was crappy. You get what you pay for. P.S. Changing the logo and color of it doesn't make the hotel better. Fixing up the hotel does.

I spent two nights at the Best Western Bemidji, one night before dropping off children at a nearby summer camp, and another before picking them up two weeks later. This is a fairly typical road side hotel. It's located on the edge of town, at a nondescript highway intersection. There is a variety of national chain retail and dining nearby, although very few businesses are really walkable because of traffic zooming on the road and in expansive parking lots. My interactions with hotel staff members were satisfactory. The receptionists greeted me cordially, and all business was accomplished quickly. Everyone was reasonably friendly and helpful. The utilitarian rooms are fairly small, but sufficient. The bathroom area is particularly small compared to the rest of the room. My rooms were reasonably clean, although I noticed that more diligent vacuum cleaning would have been good for my second stay. I found the beds to be comfortable, and they were fitted with good quality linens. The night was comfortable, and as long one doesn't need more than a place to sleep I can recommend this property. My frustrations here related to other guests. One night, we heard nearly constant barking from a dog in an adjacent room. It appeared that the animal had been left inside while its owners were out. There also was a large group of young people playing loudly in the pool area. On the morning after my second stay, a loud group walked barefoot around the breakfast room. The balance across standards of behavior for various guests is hard to manage in a hotel of this level.

Last minute booking. Last night of road trip. Last massive thunderstorm of this vacation.... Have stayed here once before, a few years ago. Based on past experience, booked here again. Was a very clean hotel, pet friendly (although we didn't have the figure kids along this time), expansive breakfast room, good wifi, comfortable rooms, etc etc. Hasn't changed one bit. And that's a good thing. Was a good place to end our nine day run. Will be back!

Mold in bathtub. Good AC. Volume cut in and out every few seconds on TV. TV and lamps were all plugged into extension cords. Not sure how they can get away with that. Front desk was pleasant. Easy check in and out.

Was clean and staff was very friendly. There was a softball team staying there though and they took up all the common areas late in to the night with the kids running around door knocking. But that is not the fault of the hotel. Pool was warm and breakfast was awesome. Front desk staff directed us to a good local restaurant.

Very clean, updated decor. Good selection of free breakfast. They accept dogs which is also great. Nice walking area for the pets. Excellent location, right off the main hwy. Will stay again as this is our home away from home in Bemidji.

This is a "regular" BW, not a "plus or a Premier". But, it was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was standard offerings, but, that's alright also. Just be aware that this is a two level hotel with no elevator, so request a ground floor if steps are a problem. Overall it was a good value.

Overall this is a nice hotel to stay at if you are visiting Bemidji. The pool and hot tub area are very nice and well maintained, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast had a lot of really good choices. They are kind of located in an awkward corner near a highway, but we didn't hear any traffic during out stay. Fair warning: if you're travelling with a pet you can only get a double bed room. I had made a reservation for a king size bed room, but had to switch to a room with two fulls because that's where they allow dogs to stay. They also charge a pet fee, regardless of if the animal you're travelling with is an emotional support animal. None of this is disclosed anywhere I had seen before making the reservation.

My daughter and I stayed for a night when we drove up to Bemidji to register her for fall classes at BSU. The beds are very comfortable. There were plently of towels and the cable tv had many channels to chose from. There was free breakfast included in the already reasonable rate and there were a lot of items to chose from. This included eggs, bacon, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, juice, etc, so it was much more than just continental. The night we arrived we noticed the also had free soup and crackers which we did not have but thought it was a nice extra to offer. When we checked out the manager asked why we were in town. When we told her she said next time mention it because the offer an even lower rate for friends and family of BSU students. BONUS!

This hotel is adequate, but dated and noisy. The TV did not work unless the staff came and pushed magic buttons. The breakfast was good, and the staff was helpful. We needed a hotel close to the airport. This fulfilled that need.

Had a great time here. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is well cared for. We never stay anywhere else when we come to Bemidji. Breakfast was great and the pool is well maintained with access to a fitness center near by.

Nice big room with very comfortable bed. Pillows are very soft and I needed three to get to my perfect height to sleep. Bathroom was small but very doable. I loved the Huge mirror and huge vanity area with lots of light. I loved that our dog was welcomed with love. Great place.

We were there for a funeral and the staff were very helpful and understanding in allowing us to be in nearby rooms, use the breakfast room for socializing, etc. I've stayed at this location before and have never been disappointed.

My kids enjoyed the room and especially the swimming area. The bed was very comfortable and the hide a way bed my daughter slept in was wonderful as well. They kids are already asking me to rent a room again soon.

The stay was average. Good scores on friendliness and cleanliness. Interestingly we were able to hear the neighboring people talking and urinating during the middle of the night. Walls are a little thin!

I could walk the width of the room in 9 steps, and I needed to put my suitcase on top of the closet. Nonetheless, the room was clean, pleasantly appointed, and quite adequate. In addition, the staff were lovely and responsive. I'll stay there again, because it was a good value for the money.

The people here are nice and the rooms were clean, but they are so small. That alone I could live with, but then the room is filled with oversized furniture and dressers that leave no room to walk. The faucet was set so far back, it barely reached the sink. Then the shower head was nearly coming out of the ceiling, it was that high up. This place is one of the few hotels in town when traveling with pets, so a plus there, but otherwise there is no need to stay here.

My stay at the hotel was very nice, the rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable and I slept very good the two nights I was there. The room had its own mini fridge and a microwave that both came in handy to preserve and reheat food from the near by restaurants that were just down the road. The hotel itself was very clean and the hotel work computer in the lobby was very handy. I would stay in this hotel again if my travels took me to the area again.

We stayed over for one night on our way east to the Maritimes. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast quite adequate. We will certainly stay over again if we come this way again! This is good value for money. We weee also able to get a room with easy access for my dw who is nursing a busted knee.

I always use the Best Western Motel in Bemidji, MN when I am attending classes there. They offer a smaller single room at a great value. There is a nice pool/hot tub area as well as a continental breakfast that is wonderful. The motel is clean and I have been blessed with it being quiet when I have been there so I get a good nights rest.

Was in town to visit family, needed a place to stay where I could have my dog stay too. Quality Inn was very nice and priced right. Very clean and comfortable room, breakfast was good and the staff was very nice. Next time we will check there first!

My daughter is a student in Bemidji and we have stayed at the BW there often. The staff is always friendly & helpful. It's not a fancy place, but very clean and comfortable with a satisfying breakfast. They also have soup in the late afternoon, which is a nice touch! Will be staying there again soon!!

this was a very pleasant surprise! The rooms were very nice and the beds were perfect. However the best thing was the pool/ hot Tub was open late!! we were able to get back to our hotel after the long day and still relax in the hot tub being it was open till midnight

We booked an efficiency room at a very good price. Efficiency means small with just a double bed. The room wasn't big enough for a queen bed. However, the decor was tasteful, the mattress very comfortable, and everything was new and clean. The big flat screen TV felt even bigger than it was because it was right at foot of the bed. The pool and hot tub were great and the staff friendly. We would stay again.

This hotel was undergoing renovations while we stayed. I think it is going to be a wonderful place to stay when the renovations are complete! The hotel is easy to find, right off the express way. We used the pool and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast, but decent.

A very clean, very quiet and affordable motel right at the intersection of Hwys 71 and 2. I've been here 7 nights already and with the exception of one night, when parents would not keep their kids quiet in the hallway, this motel has been extremely quiet. The rooms are very clean and the housecleaning staff does a terrific job. The morning breakfast is fine, the coffee good, and there are plenty of offerings for differing tastes.

Great staff who go out of their way to accommodate you. Excellent continental breakfast, free internet and printer to use, plus a swimming pool. Close to area eating establishments, Walmart, and several convenience stores within a couple of miles. Close to Sanford Health Medical Center for anyone who needs to be close to their loved ones while they are in the hospital.

A friendly and helpful staff made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was the best hotel we stayed at during our 8 days of travel. We would certainly choose this hotel next time we fly to Bemidji.

If you are in need of a clean yet pet-friendly motel the BW in Bemidji is for you. Convenient location and lots of parking for rigs with trailers too. Best night of sleep I've had in a motel yet was at this BW motel. Ask for the student discount room rate if you know of anyone (yes not even related to you) who is a current student and they'll honor it.

The people at this motel are great. I have never had any problems or concerns that weren't immediately resolved. We will stay here again when we are in the area. Prime location-right off the main roads.

Accommodations are comfortable and conveniently located. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lobby décor is inviting. The swimming pool is warm and quite large! Breakfast has several options and great variety. Wi-Fi works. Our King suite was excellent with plenty of room and a comfortable chair. It was a great place.

Our race group pulled into this gem fully stocked with the most superb staff! Thank you all for treating us like WINNERS! We plan to come back and stay when we can kick back and enjoy all of the amenities!

The GM was very pleasant. Room was small and clean but worn out looking. The middle aged gal with short brown hair who was working the morning of Sept. 25th was a little cranky and rude...not happy to be there I don't think. Made us "out of towners" feel unwelcome. At breakfast choose the waffles over the eggs and potatoes. They are a bit chewy and hard.
