Best Western Plus Belize Biltmore Plaza

As the title says. Service and food and drink options were limited with many items not available. Management not really bothered when I raised this. Until I refused to pay the mandatory service charge. That sermed to get their sttention and resulted in an argument in the middle of the restuarant. Very unprofessional to be in that position in the first place and then to argue in public. Service charge was not paid but the whole experience left a bitter aftertaste. It is a very good property that has management that are complacent and just going through the motions. Needs an injection of new management. Noisy fridge in the room as well.

The hotel's rooms are located around the central part where the swimming pool and restaurant are located. When you come out of the hotel room, you are immediately outside in a beautiful and clean environment with lots of plants. Well-appointed rooms, excellent beds and good WiFi. An extensive (but quite pricey for the country) breakfast buffet for 32 BZ$, about 15€. The hotel is located on the main road to Belize City, almost 5 km from the center, much too far to walk. Because the hotel shuttle we had ordered for the morning (for 20 BZ$) was unfortunately not available, we looked for a bus. The bus turned out to almost stop in front of the door! This bus took us to the center (bus station) for only 2 BZ$ per person, after which we could continue by bus to the Belize Zoo. Back to the hotel also went well (= bus to Belama). In summary, a location far outside the center, but with a handy bus line to the center, where you also come into contact with local people. What we didn't like was our so-called connecting room. You pay the same as a regular room, but you have much less privacy. We could hear our neighbours talking through the connecting door, coughing and only going to sleep after their TV turned off. Hotels offer a connecting room as a service to guests who request it. Why doesn't the reception ask the other way around when you check in if you, as a guest, want to stay in a room with a connecting door? Finally, there are not many restaurants in the area, except (an good) "Sahara" across the street.

Exceptional Service front desk, housekeeping, shuttle service room was very clean and is every time stay here I the housekeeping is very detail oriented front desk and shuttle service are very professional and courteous

Very clean, spacious rooms, beautiful property, the pool area is gorgeous, air conditioning in the room works very well, and friendly staff. Area around it seems okay, but we stayed and ate at the restaurant in the hotel. Good food and friendly servers, just very slow service. We would stay here again, mainly because there does not seem to be any other reasonable hotels near by the airport.

Really easy place to stay right near the airport. Just take a taxi over and you are set. Then you can travel to Lamanai or the Cayes after you rest. Belize is awesome. The hotel has a pool, gym, coffee shop, bar and restaurant. Rooms have air conditioning too.

I love this place! close to airport which is nice to have. We stayed here on both ends of trip because of location. We were pleased of the comfort of hotel, Food ( excellent) and service. rooms have nice comfortable beds. The courtyard and pool area are lovely, pool is very nice to swim in. Nice gift shop and drinks and snacks available to buy.

Great hotel for one night in Belize City. We were lucky to get upgraded to a suite - which was large and beautiful. The pool was great, and with a noon check out time, we were able to enjoy both days of our stay! Staff are helpful and accommodating. We dined a few times at the Jaguar bar, and the food was good. As we were not comfortable going outside after dark in Belize City - we stayed at the hotel most of our stay, and it was perfect for what we needed. If you do want to go places in Belize City - you will either need a car or use taxis as there isn't a lot around the hotel for tourist activities.

One night stay before flight home. No elevator in this hotel, 2 stories. Rooms all face the inner courtyard, however bathroom window faces outside. Room 237 2 dbl beds, small table 2 chairs, desk and desk chair, TV, safe, microwave, mini frig, AC, standing shower, clean room. Jaguar bar Serves same food as Biltmore Bistro Restaurant Biltmore Bistro Restaurant Outdoor/covered patio seating and indoor seating. They also do room service. Note: food portions are large here. I ordered an appetizer and it came with 8 salbutes. Breakfast served 6:30-10am Large outdoor pool with lots of seating available. Front Desk: several times I needed to ask for things and there was always a line of people either checking in or waiting to ask for things like I was. They really need 2 people at the front desk!

We enjoyed our one night before going to San Pedro. The room was beautiful, clean and we loved the kitchenette. Our jetted tub did not work but others who stayed told us theirs did. It feels safe and secure, and the staff are very friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

Hotel: First major red flag was that this hotel does not have a public email address. The only way to contact them is through their phone lines- which do not leave a paper trail. I even contacted Best Western Hotels Reservations, as well as Customer Service, and they wouldn't provide an email for them. I booked our room over a month before arrival. We arrived at 3:30 PM- a half hour after check-in. After 15 minutes of looking at rooms on her computer one by one, the front desk advised there were no rooms ready. She stated this was in-part due to their agreement with certain airlines: flight staff can request extremely late check-outs, such as 5 PM. The front desk indicated we should wait an unknown length of time until a room was ready. We had been traveling for 2 days and just wanted to rest. After another 5-10 minutes, the front desk magically managed to find us one. We walked all the way over there and opened the door with the key card... only to walk in on someone who was still using the room!! This of course was very embarrassing for us. We returned to the front desk and she was somewhat apologetic. We then waited yet another 5-10 minutes, and she said she had a room- but it was "on the ground floor". I asked if that was bad, but she replied it was fine. Upon locating it we realized there are 3 "overflow" rooms. They are set apart from all the other rooms/pool/restaurant. They are on the front, busy street with motorbikes and noise, and "the view" is a hotel storage area. It took just under an hour to get a room, with all the complications. ** Deluxe King rooms advise a Garden View. This was NOT the case. ** Room: Poor TV- There was some cable options, but every channel was quite blurry and froze on and off. The front desk said there was Netflix, but it wasn't working on our TV. Bed and pillows- decent. No signage indication there was extra towels by the pool, and they're pretty hidden. As it's overflow next to storage, the staff are outside in the hall making noise at 7:30am. The room smelled wet and musty. Restaurant: The service could not get any slower. It took 45 minutes to get 2 meals aound 4:30pm, when the restaurant was at ~10% capacity, with more than enough staff. A repeat the next day... 2 meals at 11am took 45 minutes (chips and cheese dip, and fish and chips). The restaurant was at ~5% capacity. There's a non-advertised mandatory Service Charge. Staff: Front desk and waitresses were barely cordial. Airport shuttle driver tailgated the entire drive. It was $25US each way for 2 people. The bellhop/security guy was the only customer-service oriented one, but even he pushed for tips. Pool: Nice layout and seating, but hotel staff say nothing when there are kids splashing the guests repeatedly.

Called from San Pedro to arrange shuttle pickup on arrival. Shuttle wasn't there. Called hotel after 30 mins waiting. They said shuttle was at airport and left with other guests already. I was confused bc we weren't delayed. Turns out the guy next to us had been waiting for them for 90 minutes and swears the shuttle was never there! Restaurant added >20% hidden fees to our bill. Very confusing when there's a 9.5% service charge added, only labeled “S.C.,” and mentioned nowhere on the menu or in restaurant. Is that a gratuity? We should be told so we're not double tipping. Also a 12.5% sales tax was added after the service charge. Every other place this week sales tax was included. Felt scammy. Room 136 smelt so bad and musty, the bathroom had a sewer smell. Bathroom door has to remain closed. Tied my cotton pants around my face to wear as a scarf and try to reduce the smell to power thru but woke up 130am nauseous. We overheard others in the restaurant saying they set their bags down and walked out of their room due to the overwhelming smell and were waiting for a replacement. The daily local swimming lessons taking place in the guest pool is a first for us, at $189usd/night. I got the front desk to assign us a new room with non working ceiling fan at 2 am. Left for airport asap. Airport Shuttle is not free, it's $25usd.

Nice place near the airport and on the way to Belize City. One of the nicer hotels in Belize City so it will cost more than many other places. You can set up tours via the hotel if you are interested. Nice restaurant with a buffet and there are other eateries nearby.

This hotel had nice large rooms that were clean enough, and the service was very good. My toilet didn't work twice and they did come right away. The food we had for the dinner buffet was almost non-edible, food was cold over cooked noodles were congealed, etc. The breakfast buffet wasn't much better. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our family trip to Belize. The rooms were beautifully remodeled and updated. The hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating. They truly made our trip a 10/10 experience. The breakfast was a true authentic Belizean style buffet breakfast. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I return.

The BW Biltmore Plaza was perfect for our family! Nice pool, great beds, delicious food! Hotel was very clean and everything worked. Staff was prompt i helping check in and out. Restaurant staff was quick and helpful.

5 out of 5 the room were so elegant and great we were treated amazingly by the staff the food was to die for the nights we spent their were the best would do it again and so affordable highly recommended and most importantly we felt safe and secure

Happy to say I had a great experience here, front desk personnel and staff was lovely and helpful and my room was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to other travellong and ill definitely be staying again!

The Biltmore is just outside the city but has an quiet tropical vibe owing to the lush landscaping Very friendly and courteous staff abound. The rooms are somewhat luxurious and pristine- I would stay here again.

Consistent great and friendly service. The check-in was a delight with Sheridan. We had a few good laughs, so a good start to our stay. At the Biltmore, I know I can can relax, and that I will be well looked after.

My recent stay at a hotel was far from the peaceful and relaxing experience I had hoped for. This is my last day of stay here and unfortunately, noise disturbances marred what could have otherwise been a pleasant visit. Upon checking in, I was initially impressed by the hotel's elegant lobby and courteous staff. The room I was assigned to also appeared clean and comfortable, which added to my optimism. However, it didn't take long for my enthusiasm to wane. The problems began in the evening where I encountered a rather unpleasant issue – a blocked toilet. However, the issue was fixed quickly but it kept happening again and again. What I also notice is the incessant noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms. It seemed like the walls were paper-thin, as I could hear conversations, footsteps, particularly drilling every morning where I had to cancel my zoom meetings. Ultimately, my experience at the hotel was not great due to the persistent noise disruptions and toilet being blocked everyday. This significantly impacted the overall quality of my stay but still I truly appreciate the hospitality of staffs as they are welcoming.

We stay at the Biltmore every year during our mission trip. However, for some reason they did not have our reservation when arrived. We were eventually given rooms despite being previously told they were sold out. We are always pleased with our rooms. Unfortunately, this time because they did not have our reservations the rooms we were given did not have the microwave we requested. This was a problem because the microwave in the restaurant was not working so we weren't able to warm our leftovers and food went to waste. Nonetheless, we especially enjoyed the restaurant as our waitress Ms Kimberly always takes great care of us. She is professional, courteous and very attentive to our needs. She is an assett to this establishment and in my opinion deserves a raise!

DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to any guests travelling, my last visit was nothing of a good and relaxed time. My family and I had 2 separate itineraries, (1 night and return for a 4night), the first evening we checked-in, we simply stayed in - tired. Got up early to take a swim, came to find about 25-30 kids in the pool - this was a swim class that occurs everyday, so as a GUEST you cannot use the pool during our stay - i was told the pool access is from 6-10 for guests (what a joke), I'm on vaca and you will dictate when I get to use the pool. I asked the front desk about it and they mentioned the class will be over this week (thursday 7/27). So that day was spent not enjoying the amenities we paid for. I returned on my second itinerary, checked in Sunday 7/30 thru 8/3. Came in tired from the cayes, we put our beverages in the refrigerator as normal folks would do. Got up the next day and found out the fridge does not work - food spoiled and had to be thrown out, water, sodas room temp. I mentioned this to Elias as we were stepping out and please have this rectified upon my return later that evening, he said no problem. I returned to my room, fridge still broken Elias already left, mentioned this again to the front desk Monday evening! At this time, I've been bugging the ladies in the back for ice so we can have cold water to drink and so fort. Tuesday morning again same issue, mentioned to the front desk, return in the evening to no avail. Again told Elias about this tuesday evening, forgot the ladies name as well and ask to speak with someone that has authority. This went on again on wednesday morning , and I ask to speak with Ted - the GM to address this issue. Wednesday afternoon a technician came to check the fridge, which was controlled by a light switch (imagine this crap!!) So I had no fridge access my entire stay because a switch was not on - complete ridiculousness. The fridge was put on between 2-3pm wednesday, we are checking out thursday morning. I have not heard from Ted at all (poor customer service - zero star), and this had led me to draw a conclusion of why the staff (front desk) operates like this - its a direct reflection of Ted's work ethics, sadly its contagious and leaves a very bad dislike upon the guests - whom should all be your #1 priority in this line of business. Save yourself the headaches, money, enjoy your peace of mind and go elsewhere!! I do believe the hotel should DISCLOSE to guest upon arrival that the pool will be off limits and why - to me this is a huge misrepresentation and should be very clear online . The hotel sells a package to the general public and trust me the entire pool is overcrowded, leaving no room for guests at the hotel on any given day! Clearly the pool was designed to accommodate a hotel this size and bringing in more guest to simply utilize the pool exceeds capacity and leaves no room for anyone to feel relaxed whiles on vacation. Thanks to Ms. Kimberly and the other ladies, for always ensuring I had my coffee (that was broken too) and ice - I bugged them daily at the expense of the inattentive very poor customer service received from the front desk. We will never stay here again! Go to Radisson or Golden Bay hotels.

The air conditioning is basically nil. Nice people; but hard to enjoy anything without having any escape to AC to sleep or eat. Here for a layover with my company and definitely going to request they find a better hotel for the future. The lack of air conditioning at 90 degrees outside is just awful.

Overall, I was extremely satisfied. The receptionists and management were very friendly. I had a beautiful pool side view room, very clean. However, the buffet breakfast should have more options. Kudos, to the staff from Banqueting!

Great, clean and Friendly with all the services you may need. Both Yvette and Koralyn at the Front Desk greeted us with smile and made sure our stay was excellent. Esdra, the driver, was courteous and so easy going-- made our stay great! Trisha, the bartender, has a fabulous personality and made it fun to hang at the pub.

Great stay. The room was spacious and extraordinarily clean. Food was delicious and the staff at the restaurant was excellent. Kimberly in the Biltmore took such great care of us. We will be back. Thanks so much.

We were pleasantly surprised during our stay. We had been staying at luxury resorts though out our trip and wanted our last hotel to be near the airport. Our expectations were not high but the staff, food, cleanliness and overall customer care exceeded all our expectations. The staff was welcoming and the waitresses make you feel you are a priority. The food and drinks were delicious and well priced. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Belize. A great stop to rest before beginning your Belize experience or before flying back home.

The staff and rooms at the Best Western were great! It was a very comfortable stay and they had wonderful amenities to offer. If you're looking for somewhere that is safe, with good security, has a restaurant on site, and has good comfortable, cool rooms, then this is the place! It doesn't have a view of the water and isn't within walking distance of many places, so if that's what you're looking for, it's probably not for you. Also, if you're looking to use the pool regularly, this may not be what you're looking for as the pool has swimming lessons for the majority of most days. Still a wonderful place, and I will definitely continue to stay at this location.

My girlfriends made my dream come true with excellent planning and execution of our small and intimate baby shower celebrated with family and close friends. They made the best decision in choosing the Best Western Plus Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel! The ambiance was beautiful, the staff worked very hard to please us in every way, and the food was delicious! They could not have picked a better place for such a precious event. Thank you to Mrs. Yvette Cattouse for her recommendation, good vibes and ensuring everything went smoothly. A special thank you to the General Manager, Mr. Ted Tejada, for exceeding our expectations and ensuring that the event was a success. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff for making our day so special. We definitely recommend using the facilities for your wedding, shower, or any parties. P.s. There's so many breathtaking photo op locations around the hotel, our outdoor photos looked so surreal. Stunning! Classy! Elegant! Fabulous! 

If you don't want to sleep, like to party and enjoy 1;00 AM confrontations with drunken louts, this is the hotel for you! There is ground up construction going on at this site - not disclosed at booking. Very noisy. Management confirmed Sunday construction hours 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Construction equipment began running at 6:30 am with loud, continuous hammering starting promptly at 7:30 am Sunday morning. Ouch! Calls to security from us and from other guests yielded no relief from the two drunks guys that shared their conversation with our wing of the hotel at 1:00 am. When asked civilly to quiet down, they argued and showered me with obscenities. They told me that the party underway at the hotel was where the noise was coming from, drunkenly oblivious to their behavior. There was a party underway until 3:00 - that for us, was truly not a problem. They hung round for 30 minutes or so. Another guest who experienced the non-security response to the 1:00 am drunks commented on AC not working in their room, complimented by a boarded up window! This is a nicely appointed hotel with lovely pool/garden/restaurant common areas set into a commercial area next to an auto dealership. Other than for the construction, the property was great! Poor management however was the. Order of the day with the exception of Esdra (van driver) and Kimberly (waitperson) who provided sincere, caring service! Hopefully a better management team will hire them away.

Hotel is great, rooms were lovely and clean. Check in was difficult. Breakfast was very late to start, does not begin at advertised 6:30am. Breakfast staff were very surly, for the price, I would skip breakfast here and go somewhere else.

It's alright. The hotel itself is nice, and so is the front desk staff. Good location for tours but you'll need a taxi to go out at night. Bar staff and drinks are awesome. Dining there is VERY slow and the food usually gets to you cold. Frequently it would take 45 minutes to get food after ordering. Maid service scratched up a sculpture I bought because the dumped one side of my suitcase onto the other to get to the bed, despite not needing to do that.

We were here 2 nights. It is in the middle of nowhere and no view what so ever. That's why all the rooms are facing the inner court which makes the windows nonfunctional. Who would want a open window where everyone walk by can see into your room. The room itself is decent. Air cond and water pressure are good and even has a mini fridge. Breakfast buffet was good, lots of fresh fruit and an omelette stations, yogurt, oatmeal and etc. service tho is weird. The staff was nice but it took their time to bring you what you asked for. I asked for hot water and it didn't come until i am done. That's with asking for it twice. Also asked for lemon with the hot water twice and it never came. So i just gave up. There is a grocery store (Brodies) about .4 miles away and there is a good Mediterranean grill (Sahara grill) across the Highway. Other than that, there is really nothing around.

The hotel accommodation was terrible-no hot water and plumbing issues. Great staff -very nice and efficient. Will not recommend for business conferences. I had no choice but to leave a day early. Sad.

The rooms and bathroom are a comfortable size . My big disappointment was that our room had an adjoining door to the room next to us and as a result we could hear everything next door. It's unfortunate for us that they had a gathering of 4 people that stayed up talking, screaming, laughing until 3 pm. So make sure you don't have a wooden door to the room next door. They have a nice swimming pool in the center of the hotel. The staff is very froendly and nice. We had a dinner and breakfast buffet in the hotel, and it was very average.

Maybe I am easy to please, but I loved this hotel. It had a pool where I could lounge and listen to an important hearing in peace. The room was comfortable with air conditioning, shower and TV, in mostly but not exclusively, Spanish. The buffet breakfast and lunch was delicious and fun. I love having many choices. The two story hotel had a third level for viewing the stars and surrounding area. There was a small amount of pool noise but I was able to sleep comfortably. The green plants and flowers made me think that Belize is a mini Hawaii, on the east coast. As I am recovering from surgery, this is a great place to relax and have one's meals prepared.

Hotel was nice itself. Our room was right near the construction site and our only window was blocked off. Construction started at 6am. We had to pay full price. No deals but they offered our friends a discount for a nicer room and when I asked for a discount they said no. We moved to another hotel

I have mentioned before, every time I visit, there is something new. This time a raised bar overlooking the pool and more rooms. This is a property that is always improving and putting money into the property instead of just taking it out. Very well managed. very efficient. Super clean rooms. favorite place in Belize City to stay.

We greatly appreciated the visibility, responsiveness, kindness, devotion, positive attitude, constant communication, and MORE by the hotel manager and staff. We had no idea what to expect when we were dropped off at the BW hotel door a day before Hurricane Lisa was to arrive; however, we were greeted from the moment we arrived till the time when we left with the very best customer service and hospitality. We know that this hotel strives to provide that to all of their guests, all of the time! I was blown away by how the manager shared with me that the staff know that they are critical to the mission of treating each guest as if they are a patient at a "hospital" because so often they are exhausted from work, travel, and the many demands life brings. Crossing the threshold of this hotel is the opportunity to provide guests like us the place to recharge, refresh and reboot. We saw that 110% even during the midst of a hurricane! We know the staff were tired too and worried about the situation of their home and family as a result of the storm; however, they signed on to sleep in the fitness room or other out of the way places so that we could be well cared for. We are grateful for the food/water we had throughout our stay, a clean pool to enjoy before the storm and within hours after the storm, kind service (we never saw anyone get short or grumpy), towels to soak up the water that found its way into our rooms, and regular communication throughout. We so appreciated that the manager's cell number was posted in the lobby, business cards were handed out to the guests inviting us to contact him if anything was needed, and the fact that he was visible during meals and all throughout the day. We were constantly reassured us that we would be taken care of with anything we might need during our stay. AND, when the press conference was delayed with the information about the airport reopening, the manager drove there himself so that folks would know what to do about rebooking flights in order to return home.

very good accommodation / wait staff was very professional, courteous. I love the room it was up to bar standards; the food was amazing perfect buffet setting and choice of foods and desserts. helpful front desk personnel they could be a little bit more friendly and not so uptight.

The front staff were welcoming, efficient and fast. We were a large group and the ease at which she handled the crowd was excellent. We got our keys and were taken to our rooms. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed.

It was the last stop of our Belize trip and we had to stay one more day due to the approaching hurricane Lisa. The hotel manager did everything possible to make sure updating us about the storm, we were safe and well taken care of. Even though the city and the airport did not have electricity the hotel had a generator and we had internet connection and the restaurant was serving delicious food.

The Cons included lots of noise outside the room, food was pricey but not very tasty and I think I got sick from some cheesecake I ordered. The rooms were dark though spacious. And the fridge didn't work. The Pros were definitely the friendly staff. The staff were cheerful and helpful. The location was okay as it wasn't far from the airport but there's not much to do in the area. The best part of the stay was Kimberly part of the wait staff in the restaurant. She was professional and worked with a high level of excellence all while being friendly and caring. We also held a vision sharing conference for some local leaders in the conference room and the hotel provided the a/v equipment.

I stayed here for about a week & generally the experience was good. However, one night I ordered food from the restaurant & received mashed potato that tasted sour. When I made a complaint, the restaurant manager seemed to be implying that I was lying, even though the server said when she had the kitchen staff check it, they agreed it tasted off. That didn't speak well of that manager, since he seemed more intent on proving he was right rather than trying to appease a guest. Crystal from the bar on the other hand was amazing. She was professional, courteous and friendly and seemed to know exactly when, what and how to serve. I ended up only eating from there for the rest of my stay and Crystal's service was always on point. During my visit, there was construction going on so if that is still ongoing, expect some noise during the working hours. Initially, when I checked in, I was being given a room directly in front of where the construction was taking place and I had to ask for a room change further away from the construction. The front desk staff were very accommodating. The internet was not the best and I understand that this is a general issue in Belize. Room cleanliness was good. The pool was also nice, however the lounge chairs need cleaning. I also used the fitness center while there and it was well equipped with most of the necessary amenities. Overall, it is a nice hotel with courteous staff (for the most part) and I would stay there again.

My wife and I recently sheltered at the BW Biltmore during Hurricane Lisa. We had been emergently evacuated from a fishing resort back to mainland Belize City and stayed at the BW Biltmore for 3 nights until we secured a flight home. The staff are some of the most amazing people, staying at the hotel for days on end, providing Five Star level service, reassuring guests of resources and safety. The hotel general manager met daily with quests updating them on hotel resources, weather conditions, security, and return of airline services. Everyone did an amazing job during very trying conditions.

We were sent to this hotel after having to leave Blackbird Cay due to the recent hurricane. Ted and his staff never missed a beat! We felt very safe and that was because the staff did everything to assure us about electricity and water, and it was true! The food was good and plentiful considering the conditions. The staff and Ted did everything possible to make this bump in the road as easy as possible. They are to be commended especially considering what was going on in the city and with their families. Thank you!!!

Was here during when hurricane Lisa hit the coast of Belize. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is pretty good but a 5/5 for the staff's level of professionalism. The hotel was one of the few properties that was generator powered during the hurricane and the staff was attentive and accommodating to guest's needs to assist with departure plans. Shout out to Ted, the GM for being on top of everything and handling everything smoothly!

I spent a Friday night at the Biltmore prior to my Saturday boat ride to a dive resort. Jesus, the Biltmore van driver, promptly picked me up at the airport in a very well-maintained van and was a wealth of information concerning Belize and Belize City. My room, located in the courtyard near the pool, was clean and the bed was comfortable. Given that Belize City is known to be a high crime area I was concerned about security but felt very safe at the Biltmore. I dined at the restaurant and the food was good and the beer was cold. Although I didn't swim in the courtyard pool, it looked very inviting. I did workout in the gym and was surprised at the number of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. The gym was much better than usually found at chain hotels. I will definitely stay at the Biltmore during upcoming trips to Belize.

I truly love the attentiveness the staff provided when I was stranded by a tour company. . Dayan, the bar tender at the Jaguar restaurant checked on me and enjoyed providing the services after any type of inquiry. Her personalities, the laughter, the professionalism... just making sure all my stay was awesome. . I plan to return for Carnival!!!

Beautiful Hotel too bad the staff and service did not match. My 4 day old reservation and it was paid already was not n computer staff billed me again I just wanted in out of heat and madness Belize City has for U. This was at a higher rate then booked I get my room Wi Fi find booking in my phone go back down stairs ppl where they don't want to apologize only begin the drama. First we just received info then prove the reservation is 4 days ago I did then 2!more employees on the sene back n forth No pardon for mix up after 15 min of zooming in on my phone giving dates over n over final is refund possibly in 72 hours. Uggg went to room needed staff just to turn on TV once left TV never could change channel stuck on Spanish Ordered dinner no silverware napkins nothing I was exhausted I ate like it like the animal I was treated to be. If beautiful is what your after it's that but don't expect accountability kindness a comped drink or a speedy return of the 200 a night they over charged and unaccomidated

I have stayed here more than 30 times. It is very nice and has a great gym and bar and pool. My most recent stay was in a new room built out in the parking lot. It was very loud with road noise and construction noise. If you stay by the pool you will not be disappointed.

As a traveler to many destinations, we were so disappointed with the hospitality of Belize Biltmore Plaza in Belize City. Upon arrival, the Front Desk team was unwelcoming at check in. We did not receive one smile from any staff member during our overnight stay. Our friends confirmed an ADA room and after checking in at 3:00 pm they were not advised there was direct construction on the outside back wall of their room and the drilling was extremely loud and disruptive. They went down to the front desk with their concerns and the Front Desk did not offer any options to change their room. If this was any other hotel the “MOD” / Manager on Duty would have offered options prior to arrival and apologize for the inconvenience. Also, in ADA room the electrical outlet (standard US) was in the closet and the bedside outlet was a European electrical outlet. Our friends requested an extension cord and maintenance promptly fixed the problem. Secondly, there is no indication there is ongoing construction throughout the hotel via the hotel's website. Bad move on the hotel for not informing potential future guests. Upon departure to the airport and landing in Houston, each of our parties received a call from the hotel, stating they was additional incidental charges from the hotel that was not processed and requested we give our credit card information over telephone. Each room had a credit card on file. The telephone number on my phone indicated it was from Little Rock, Arkansas. We did not disclose our credit card information. Never in my travels have I received guest services in the hospitality industry which is so unprofessional. If you decide to stay at the Belize Biltmore Plaza, be forewarned of the expectations of this hotel. The only option is the Radisson hotel, which we stayed at the past couple of years. And in my opinion, is the better hotel. I emailed a copied of the review to the Best Western Corporate offices for review.

We stayed at this hotel prior to arriving at San Pedro and it was really beautiful inside despite all the construction activities in the front of the building. Parking lot features lots of rocks/pebbles so you really need solid shoes for safety. The best thing about this hotel is the staff not including the Manager who was not nice for a lack of a better phrase. The restaurant was delicious and you will enjoy the selections. The on-site hostess that arranges the tours was SUPER sweet and helpful in securing great prices. I rated BWPBP a 3 because we were constantly annoyed by the noise.

Hotel is very nice with lots of great facilities. The food was very good and plentiful and the lounge is a fun place to gather and watch sports or socialize. The pool seems to be the place to party as several groups were there each night and had lots of fun.

This location was like a hidden oasis. You don't need to leave the property. They have a gift shop, restruant and the swimming pool was awesome. Perfect location for families or to simply relax. Great staff and VERY CLEAN rooms!!!

the restaurant was better than we expected. Great overnight stay prior to departure. Near airport. The transportation from the hotel to the airport was $25 us. Other services quoted $40 us. I would stay again.

This is the nicest Best Western I have ever been too. In my eyes this was a resort, it exceeded all expectations. Food was great, room and bathroom were nice, amazing atmosphere of the entire property, friendly and attentive staff. Overall just a really nice place and stay! I think in the US when we think Best Western we think "rinky dink" motel, this was FAR from that! Highly recommend!

This hotel is definitely the best place to stay some days after arriving in belize. Only a 15 minutes drive from the airport and a 10 minutes drive from the water taxi dock it has a very good location. And the hotel itself is wonderful. Decorated with a lot of tropical plants it really seems to be located in a jungle. The pool is also very nice and you can order some very yummy cocktails. The food was a lot better than expected and it consists of some typical belizean dishes. If we go to belize one more time, we would love to stay at this hotel again.

Always greeted by the ladies knowing my name. Very helpful and courteous staff from top to bottom. My room is as perfectly clean as I have long come to expect. The property is always spotless. Gym is nicely equipped for a hotel of this size. The Covid test room was fast and efficient.

The BW Biltmore has become our headquarters in Belize. Not only is the property perfectly located, it has all the amenities anyone could need. From meeting space to great rooms, this property has it all. Under the management of Mr Ted Tejada, who greets me and most of his guests personally, this is a Central American Hospitality Dream.

I absolutely love this hotel as they bend over backwards to accommodate their guest. During our stay in February I spoke with the food manager about a certain type of fish that I desired. After learning about my craving the food manager sent an employee to the local fishmarket to ensure that I had the type of fish for dinner that was requested. My wife is a Belizean native and during our stay she mentioned to the hotel manager that she wanted a certain type of drink that came from a fruit called sour sap. The manager of the hotel sent an employee to purchase the fruit just so my wife could have the drink that she was craving that day. Who does that? You will love the accommodations in the atmosphere provided I strongly recommend this hotel if you are in the Belize city area.

After a great stay at this hotel two years ago, our most recent stop here was sadly disappointing. We had reserved two king suites, poolside, well in advance, but when we arrived, the front desk staff checking us in seemed to be having a great deal of difficulty, wouldn't look me in the eye, and completely ignored me when I asked if there was a problem. Eventually we were given keys, but instead of the rooms we reserved we were given rooms with queen beds, and one of the rooms was right off the front parking lot. When our travelling companion complained he was told they had no other option available. Since we had been travelling for 26 hours at this point, and were only staying overnight, we made the best of it. The rest of the staff, from the housekeeping staff who kindly walked us to our room when we asked for directions, to the wait staff poolside and in the restaurant, to the storekeeper in the gift shop, all very congenial and helpful, and seem to take great pride in providing good service. The food and drink are good, the room basic, but comfortable. The pool was disappointingly “murky” and I questioned if we should even use it. The gardens are beautiful. Once again, however, front desk staff were shockingly apathetic when we realized in our jet lagged haste upon leaving the hotel we had left our passports locked in the safe. We had no cell service where we subsequently stayed so our host very kindly contacted the hotel for us. It took all day and numerous phone calls, and she was even told at one point the hotel did not have the passports. Eventually, as front desk staff were again so shockingly negligent in their customer service, our host contacted the manager directly, who had the head of housekeeping check the room and our documents were located in under 10 minutes….. I hope the manager of this hotel is aware of the issues at the front desk and will address the shortfalls…..because, as I said, especially for a well respected chain like Best Western, the front desk service at this hotel was appalling!!!

I was just trying to order food by the pool. The staff is extremely unfriendly. My wife requested Seafood Soup, but there was no soup available, despite the fact that there was no mention of it on the menu. Okay, she wanted lime juice, but there was none available. The waitress's manner in announcing that they don't have juice is unfriendly. As a result, we decided to eat somewhere else. Terrible experience

Room stay was great; will recommend should install music system in rooms; Ethernet connection and faster wifi. Upgrade all rooms with mini kitchens an utensils …..hot water is needed when using hot tub…

Despite asking 3 separate times at the front desk about taxis to the airport; the front desk staff neglected to tell me they had an airport shuttle. Last time I inquired I asked for a taxi at 25usd to be arranged for us to go to the airport at 630am. Front desk agreed and still did not tell me about their shuttle. I go down at 620am to have no taxi and see the airport shuttle leave. Basically it was a very messed up situation & I am expecting the front desk to follow through and refund me 25 for the taxi which got to to the airport late. Restaurant food was terrible and service was so slow.

This place serves its purpose as a transfer station for weary travelers who just need to spend 1-2 nights in the city waiting their next flight to their next adventure. Pros: rooms are clean with immaculate floors. Ceilings are vaulted, making rooms ver spacious. Restaurant has a good vibe. Convenient location to airport - about 10 minutes away. Cons: lots 1. Beds might have bed bugs. Awoke each morning with fresh bites. Never actually saw one. 2. Minimal natural lighting, as the only window in the room faces the open walkway where people can clearly look in - again, this place is only ideal for a few days of stay; 3 max. 3. Very curt receptionist, specifically Yvette. Not hospitable at all, and very little closed loop communication. Two instances came to mind: A) we called three days ahead to schedule our Covid test. Yvette said we were scheduled, and when asked if she could send us confirmation, abruptly said “ok” and hung up. Never got written confirmation. B) scheduled an airport shuttle the night prior to departure. Again, we called and spoke to Yvette, who very curtly said “ok,” and hung up on us again. We found out the next day that it was never scheduled and the morning receptionist had to scramble to get us a ride. Giving her the benefit of the doubt as she is likely overworked as the supervisor. However, she can still be more welcoming and communicative as she is the face of the hotel - at least allow her to delegate tasks, as everyone else behind the front desk were lovely. 4. Mediocre food. Do not bother with lunch or dinner at the restaurant. Walk across the street to Sahara and enjoy some affordable and delicious Lebanese food.

Good place to stay if need to stay in Belize City overnight on way to beach or jungle. Rooms are clean and well appointed, pool is well kept, food is pretty good for a Best Western. At night turn the light on to walk around or you might step on a roach.

This is a nice hotel with extremely nice rooms and hotel/restaurant workers. Absolute downside is American Airlines cancelling flight after delaying it twice! American Airlines put every passenger up in a hotel for the night and gave each a food voucher. The room tab taken care of BUT not enough $$ on food voucher to cover food expense. Each passenger received $48 Belizian dollars to cover Dinner and Breakfast the next morning...this is where the fun began.....when we arrived at the restaurant we were promptly told we had to eat off the buffet for dinner and breakfast. We were told we had no choice and were NOT told the cost!! THE BUFFET WAS $35 BELIZIAN DOLLARS FOR DINNER AND $35 BELIZIAN DOLLARS FOR BREAKFAST.....WHICH ADDS UP TO $70 BELIZIAN DOLLARS (REMEMBER WE RECEIVED A $48 BELIZIAN DOLLARS FOOD VOUCHER FROM AMERICAN AIRLINES!!) OF COURSE NOT TO SLIDE THE SERVER WE HAD TO TIP AT OUR COST BECAUSE NONE OF THE FOOD VOUCHER COULD BE USED FOR TIP...EVEN IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY LEFT!!!!!!!!! We could have ordered off the menu for less and the food would have been hot and good!!! Thank goodness we learned this after dinner as the leader of our group went to discuss the situation with the manager of the hotel. Each of our group was then given an additional $10 Belizian dollars to help with our breakfast cost. I don't know how many of the American Airline passengers that stayed at this hotel found that out. This is WRONG!! The hotel management is making additional money from the inconvenienced and tired travelers!!

Our flight out of Belize got changed, so we needed to stay close to the airport for an early flight, and a friend recommended this hotel. Overall it was good. Our room opened up to the pool /bar area, and there was some conference going on with a lot of people, so it was very noisy. Fortunately everything closed at 10 pm and was quiet by about 1030. We had snacks and drinks in the bar, and then were back there for dinner. Food and service were both really good. Room was very clean and comfortable. They only gave us one pack of coffee, so I called to get more, and it was delivered to the room quickly. (Oddly, it was a completely different size than the one already in the room, but we made it work.) My only complaint is that at check in, when we booked our morning airport shuttle, there was no mention of a fee or how we wanted to pay for it. When we boarded the shuttle, they wanted proof we paid for it on our hotel bill or wanted us to pay in cash. Both us and another couple had to go back in to the hotel to have it added to our bill since we hadn't been told about it and didn't have cash. I am fine paying the fee, but it would have been much easier if they had mentioned it at check in and asked if I wanted it to be added to the bill. The fee is the same as a taxi, so if the time isn't convenient for you, go with a cab.

Dont waste your time or money coming to this third world country hotel. Food is cold. Overpriced. Bathroom in the room smells like sewage. Phone in the room doesnt work so cant call front desk. Front desk ignored issues when i took a written list to them. Best western needs to go away just like covid does.

I had a very nice stay at the BW Biltmore. I wanted an easy hotel to settle into for a several week adventure in Belize and this hotel met all of that criteria. The hotel was easy to find right off the main road to Belize City, plenty of parking. Check in was very easy, one thing to note they don't have an elevator so I requested a room on the first floor. Room was spacious and remodeled. Air co diction info and a ceiling fan kept the room very cool. Bed was very comfortable, quiet hotel very little noise. The pool was very nice and relaxing. They have a bar attached for food and drinks. The restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. Had breakfast and dinner there several times and was very well attended to and the food was delicious. Overall an ideal choice if need to be close to the airport and wanting to avoid a stay in Belize City. There are not many restaurants or things around the hotel so just to keep in mind. Will return again before flying out of Belize.

Stayed here November 13-14 with our tour group after arrival. The hotel was clean and the room was fine, but I am giving this hotel 1 star because of the abysmally slow service and rude and obnoxious treatment I and my group received at the hotel restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and during breakfast we asked several times for more coffee and the coffee never came. When my wife got up to go get the coffee herself at the wait station she was told not to touch it and that coffee would be brought to the table. Of course, that never happened. At dinner, after waiting 15 minutes for our order to be taken, I ordered a burger, and my wife and a friend from the tour group at our table ordered other dishes. The food for my wife and friend took forever to come, and when it finally did, my burger was nowhere in sight. The rude server told me it would be right out. Of course, that wasn't true. My wife and friend finished their food and the server came over to take their dessert order before my food even arrived!!! When the burger finally showed up, no apology from server. Not one word to explain the delay. After 2 years of covid shutdown, you'd think wait staff would be happy to have customers again and at least behave like decent human beings. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Do not stay here if you plan on eating at the restaurant.

We stayed at the Biltmore before and after their renovations and WOW did they do a fantastic job. Our room we clean, modern, stylish with all the room amenities you could need. The gardens were lovely and the dining patios so inviting. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend the Biltmore to anyone going to Belize City. Great job Ted and staff!

Stayed here before flying out. Bit of a slow check in, with the check-in lady answering the phone to take reservations while she was in the middle of checking me in. The pool area was nice, clean and relaxing. The bar staff was very attentive, and I hadn't been on the pool deck for more than a minute before I was greeted. The room was clean and comfortable except for the bathroom which was very very warm with air coming through the window pane, so we had to keep the door shut the whole time which was no big deal. I'd stay here again.

My standard when in Belize City. I've stayed in other places when there are no rooms available and am never as happy as the Biltmore. Always a smile and your name is remembered by the staff. Even the "back of the house" employees are friendly. Each visit, I try to see what is new. This time it was in the gym. A couple of new treadmills, a few spin bikes, and my favorite, a Smith Machine. Good job adding that hardcore piece of machinery.

I have never been a fan of the Best Western chain, and I am still because it is a chain that I do not patron because it is not the "type" of hotel I prefer. HOWEVER, the managers and staff at the Best Western Biltmore Plaza blew me away. They epitomize the saying, "exceeding the customer's expectations." Please take time to read: 1. We had the best experience with Ms. Yvette (front desk) because she was so helpful with shuttle transportation and local suggestions. Just a pleasant person. 2. The young man in the gift shop, with the beautiful coiled hair, went into depth about the restaurants to visit and when pressed to tell me where he would eat, he gave the suggestion without hesitation. He even explained who owned the restaurants. 3. Ms.Josette - the housekeeping manager - now she was a gem. I had a minor issue upon check-in and asked for sheet. She happened to be in the hallway when I looked out of the the room (room 209) to check for housekeeping. Instead of telling me she will send someone, without hesitation, she grabbed sheets, walked in our room and proceeded to remake the bed. We chatted and she gave advice and we laughed. She is such a gem. Her employee looked in the room and I told her employee that Ms. Josette was available and she was not in trouble, but Ms. Josette just jumped in and took care of the request. Ms. Josette exuded true servant-leadership. 4. Mr. Edmond - our shuttle driver. Oh my..he was awesome. He gave a little history for things we saw as he drove us to San Ignacio and afterward, took us to a nice little place for lunch. We sat and chatted with him and ate like we were friends. We really enjoyed his company. 5. Now for the MVP, the G.O.A.T (greatest of all times) of all Hotel Sales Managers. (I forgot her name) BUT this woman made mountains move. We ate hudut in San Pedro and I had fallen in love with it. The restaurants in Belize that sold hudut were closed. BW does not have the dish on their menu. But that was nothing for this manager. They checked the ingredients in the kitchen and the Chef went to the store for ingredients that were not in the kitchen and presented me with Sarere (hudut without the plantain). I was like a child and hugged his neck so hard and long. This is what you do for a guest that you want to show, your team cannot be outdone. Please give this lady a raise or bonus. AND she walked us to our room to ensure our water temperature issue was resolved (yes, we had cold water the first night). 6. Kimara was the best restaurant server as she laughed with us and was so pleasant. 7. Jesus was on time to pick us up from the water taxi the day we left San Pedro and did not miss a beat. 8. And I shall not forget Andy (bellhop) that showed me rooms before check-in so I could determine if we wanted to upgrade. His conversation was so easy and we joked. These are just the people I had interactions with and they were the perfect interactions. Especially for me because I had horrible flight issues getting to Belize and lost a portion of my week that began in San Pedro. Now, The Grand Caribe was phenomenal and my typical place I reserve. It met my expectations. But the Best Western Biltmore...the service will blow you away. If I wrote more, readers would feel this is a paid review. Trust me it is not..just read some of my others reviews. LOL Bestwestern Biltmore Plaza Management, hats off to you and your staff. Whatever you are doing to have such an award winning staff, keep doing and reward them to keep the best of the best. I will definitely recommend this hotel based on your team alone.

As a local I've never been so disappointment of the treatment at builtmore/best western plus restaurant and bar area - My bother and friend visited the establishment on the 2nd of July as we were happy to visit builtmore for dinner - at this time we visited the restaurant in which , we stood standing for more than 3 minutes and no one attended I therefore had to go and ask a staff member if I was able to sit at a current location with my friends/family . A waiter therefore approached us and told us to sit in a next location in which , We were then told to just sit near a end table in which we proceeded to do . We continued by looking at the menu and asked for a couple of drinks with the waiter more than 45 minutes to be served , we weren't even given water to drink , or asked if we needed water ….. I had to go all the way inside and ask for cups of water as we weren't attended to time . I therefore tought that they were busy but I did see other persons who reached after got served before us . The waiter then came and asked for our food order , what was disappointing was that he was so confused and didn't take the order right , I told him to please start over , he didn't recommend to us what we should eat , he told us that we should order a certain way because it will make it easier for the chef , as a customer I believe that we should be served on our choice of food that we asked for . It was disappointing to see a floor supervisor shouting at the waiter to so something else while taking our order . Our food took 1 hour to be served…. I wasn't then hungry and upset of the customer service being very poor , I know that for a fact we weren't the only one who was upset as the other persons on the near by table was already asking for the manager . There is need for more structuring and preparation with the staff at this establishment .

I would love to give a positive review because the rooms were very clean, the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. But I ordered a hamburger no cheese, the burger had to be returned back to the kitchen because it had cheese on it. I was told the cook was trying to scrape off the cheese but ended up having to cook another burger. I informed the waitress that I had food allergies that burger could have put me in the hospital. When I finely received my food everyone at the table was finish eating. I had to put it in a to go container to eat in my room. The Kitchen staff on Saturday was very rude especially the pregnant cashier.

We spent one night here before our flight out of BZE. The outdoor areas are lovely and the room was basic and clean. We had a couple of good cocktails at the bar and sat by the pool. I probably wouldn't spend my whole time here, but overall our stay was pleasant. Great working A/C, too.

Big positive shout out to Ted, the Best Western Plus - Belize Biltmore Manager and his team on duty last night(June 10, 2021) at the time a United Airlines (UA) plane load of disgruntled, tired, disappointed and upset passengers arrived at the Belize Biltmore handled the chaotic situation with grace and professionalism. Even when passengers didn't exhibit their best behavior, Ted and his team did everything they could to ensure that each passenger had the accommodations that they needed after their plane had mechanical issues and wasn't able to leave Belize. The staff in the restaurant also handled the UA passengers as quickly and professionally as possible. Passengers, including myself were energetically immersed in our disappointment and upset at not being able to stick with our schedules. Life happened while we were planning other things and we were not happy! My gratitude and appreciation to Ted and his team for the extraordinary way in which they served all of the passengers that descended like locusts upon them!! Great job Best Western Plus - Belize Biltmore - Team!!

The staff was so polite and courteous. Everyone was friendly and decor was beautiful and inviting. The room was clean and comfortable. All staff was very friendly and was concerned about your stay. They tried to make you comfortable. I really think they cared about my stay.

I was here for a 5 night stay (5/17 - 5/22). The room was very comfortable and clean, the food and bar were exceptional and the staff friendly and very health conscious in this time of Covid. I felt completely secure. It is the length they went to support their quests that was truly amazing. I was on a flight into Belize City from Houston that had a 7 hour delay due to weather. Instead of arriving a little after 2:00 PM, we got there closer to 10:00 PM. People on the flight were concerned because Belize had a 10:00 curfew at the time (due to Covid). The airline was in touch with the Belize airport and we were assured that we could all get to where we were going. The hotel restaurant stayed open for us. Instead of closing at 10, they stayed open a couple more hours to make sure everyone had the opportunity to have a meal (and a needed drink after the long delay). This showed how much they care about their guests. They truly went the extra mile. If you are in Belize City, this is the hotel you must stay at.

Jr Suite was beautiful, modern, EXTREMELY CLEAN and tranquil environment...Staff were wonderful from the porters, front desk and restaurant/kitchen including the housekeepers...Can't wait to come back...

I'd like to give a positive review, because staff and management were all friendly and tried to be helpful. The rooms are clean, and the public areas are all lovely. But so many things did not work. The air conditioning was supposedly working, but it did not cool the room. We were shown a second room, where the air also did not work properly. We are talking Belize City heat, my friend. It's a killer. Later, the situation was fixed, maybe by more Freon, or maybe by the sun going down. The room key did not work. Eventually that got fixed, too. The coffee maker made coffee that looked like tea. I would have loved to enjoy the beautiful pool, but we spent so much time with the maintenance dept in and out of our room, fixing things that should have worked, that we lost our chance. I hope the staff sees this review, and makes a serious effort to correct their problems, because the hotel has the potential to be really great.

Everything about our stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations! From the on time pick up from the airport, the easy check-in, the clean and comfortable rooms, to the wonderful food, hospitality, pool, and grounds. We were SO glad we chose to stay here for our 4 day stay in Belize City.

My family was unexpectedly staying in Belize City during an emergency hospital visit for my wife. We were recommended to stay at The Biltmore by our travel agent. Mr. Ted and his wonderful staff took fantastic care of my family from 2/14 to 2/26/21 arranging for everything we might need. He even put together a last minute 10th birthday party for my daughter that we will never forget! The hotel is extremely well maintained, the rooms are clean and very comfortable and of course the staff is amazing. Additionally, the food was consistently delicious (we tried nearly everything over our 12 days). We will always be thankful for our time at the Biltmore and look forward to returning again as soon as possible!

Recently we used the Biltmore as our base hotel in Belize City before heading out on our island adventure. On our return I had tested positive and with standard protocols was required to extend my stay until a negative test was achieved. The staff here, especially Yvette, were extremely caring and helpful with my situation. They would call often to offer hot tea, fruit and just to check in on me. The rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. Given the situation I found myself in, I was very fortunate to have their staff and hotel at my aid. Thank you to the entire staff for being so caring in a time of need.

I always stay at the Biltmore in Belize City. Mr. Ted knows how to run a hotel. Each trip, something is new or improved. Now the bar area is open and yet enclosed. Very clean. The grounds are lush and green and give a very tropical feeling. Everything is immaculate. Lots of Covid protocols in place and they can arrange travel Covid testing on site. Very friendly staff.

The Biltmore was recommended to us, and it could not have been any better. From the greeting at the front desk, to the beautiful room, unbelievably comfortable bed. The restaurant was excellent with very reasonable prices and customer service was spot on. Thank you very much

Enjoyed our night at the Biltmore. The outside doesn't do the inside justice. The room was very nice and the courtyard tropical and enjoyable for dining and cocktails. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Our number one choice when visiting Belize City. The staff ensure any needs are met. Food and drinks were delicious and exactly what we needed on our getaway trio with friends. Highly recommend this Best Western!

Very very nice Hotel,.....rooms are very nice and the pool and restaurant are great. Entire facility is super super clean and upscale. Good location from airport. Great service and peaceful setting. Great mattresses and pillows,.....and super clean rooms. Service could be faster in restaurant but good food and super nice setting.

Torrential rains did not keep me away. Greeted by name as usual, also smiles. Perfect stay in a clean and freshly renovated room. It is nice to see companies putting money back into their property, not just taking out. A reason that the Biltmore is used for so many gatherings. Covid precautions are ample and apparent and appreciated.

We had some amazing times at Biltmore Best Western Belize. We consider ourselves fortunate to have a team of people taking ca. re of us who care about the work they do. Biltmore Best Western, Was our home for the last 8+ years and recently we stayed from October 9 until November 2nd. These were the people who made our stay the ultimate best. These individuals should definitely be acknowledge for going above and beyond in their jobs. We are picked up at the airport by Biltmore shuttle driver's Jesus and Izra. Safely driven to the hotel and any other locations we needed to visit. Next we have the front desk managers Ms.Yvette, Jennifer and Rojer always greet us with a smile and always showed professionalism. There's another young lady at the front desk but we cannot remember her name. The security team Errol and Edmond made sure we were safe and constantly did patrols thru out the property. Thank u guys! Food and Beverage manager Odon is a force to be reckon with. Whenever if ever we had a problem or issue he made sure it was resolved in a timely fashion. The restaurant staff members Dyane, Rochelle,Tiffari, Frenish were professionals at there jobs....I Needed a cup of tea and Tiffari put her magic in a cup. DYANE is sweet she is always willing and Frenish had a great way to accomodate my dry humor. These girls are team players. Thanks ladies you made our stay that much amazing. And last but not least I needed a friendly Justice of the peace and yes Ms Middleton was willing and able to fit that need and had a smile when we saw her in the hallways. The house keeping staff was always on point...I needed an extra clean and those women came promptly with a smile. I am completely pleased.

This property is well-maintained! The staff is very friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable. The internet worked great! This is the best place to stay and eat in Belize City! WE would definitely stay her again!

The last time I was here they were just beginning major renovations and by the name some ownership changes have occurred. Looks good but it has been many tears since I was any where near a First World hotel ( in the bush the past 3 years). This is for management as you people may be the only audience with the lack of tourism in Belize. I had to laugh at the menu prices but also had to check that astonishment considering O.E. ($25 for a $5 street meal?). Enough teasing. Room 114 or any and bathroom setup: The soap dish in shower should be self-draining or stainless steel basket type. Two points: Housekeeping is putting more time and effort into soap scum abatement and more importantly a slip and fall liability issue (rubber mat or not). Mosquitoes: Always a problem for coastal tourism venues. You have a great courtyard- enhance landscaping with addition of Citronella and or Neem trees. The former are shrub like and the latter are full tree with nuts produced after a 9 year growth period. Both are natural insecticides and if the trees mature, the nuts are pressed into oil (a side business fro the property. Bark mulch spread in garden beds also deter insects. A key point we can learn from this quite time is, how can we incorporate more of nature into our daily lives? Thanks for a nice night of the cushy life.

The room was big, excellent quality, Higher quality room, linens and accessories in room. Beautiful property. The tropical plants were all over and added to the beauty. The breakfast buffet had any thing you could want to eat and drink

Place was very clean and the staff were great to work with. Food was also good. Got to use their gym facility which was very spacious which was surprising. The only thing that I had trouble with there was a karaoke night and if your room is next to the bar area it made sleeping difficult. Overall

Amazing restaurant/bar, pool, and COMFY beds. Downtime at the hotel was truly always a great time. We were also able to easily book activities through the front desk. It helped that the staff were bilingual too! Definitely recommended!

Had blast this weekened at the biltmore plaza, the professionalism and hospitallity of the employees were exceptional. The food and drinks had exquiste taste that took me back to my childhood days. I am glad made the choose to spend my time there.

I was in Belize for a conference in February and stayed again at this hotel. I truly enjoyed the hospitality and service; Special thanks to Yvette. She's part of a great team at BWP. Food and accommodations are always excellent. This is my go-to hotel in Belize City.

Thanks to the progressive management at this hotel, it's always a pleasure to visit Belize City and stay at this hotel. Rooms are great, they are spacious and spot free clean. Service at the desk is attentive and the shuttle drivers are very eager and enthusiastic about their jobs. The menu selection at the restaurant is also great and portions are very generous! Try the ceviche by the Pool! In overall, I'm always very satisfied when visiting this hotel, management is on top of the details and making sure the service is excellent and consistent.

I didn't know what to expect here but I was pleasantly surprised. As the title suggests it is very clean. The grounds are pretty. The pool is lovely and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is just OK, not great. It isn't close enough to town to walk but the hotel shuttle was cheap enough, and you only need to call and they will come get you wherever you are. I would stay there again if I came back to Belize.

Spent almost a week here. A pleasant spot convenient to the airport and shopping. Nice landscaping. Rooms clean. Restaurant definitely charging tourist prices but there are several restaurants nearby. Pool gets very crowded pin weekends. Staff friendly and helpful. Travis at the front desk was great.

The Hotel was beautifully decorated and the Plants are amazing as Is the Staff. We left A Samsung tablet in our room on checkout and the Hotel sent a driver to the airport and tracked us down to give us our tablet we left. Who does that??? This Hotel does. I would recommend to any travelers to stay here

Between some of our Belize transits we enjoyed this hotel. Our bookings where made by Island Expeditions. A restful hotel with a beautiful interior court with a nice swimming pool. Great service. Great rooms. Good food.

Went there for 2 for 1 mojitos on a date night - the bartenders (Karim & Melvin if I'm not mistaken) were very professional and friendly! The drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was also very lovely! 10/10 recommend :)

We specifically booked this hotel because we did not want to be in the heart of Belize City and it had a pool for our short stay. When we arrived they informed us they had given our rooms away and sent us to another hotel in the heart of Belize City without a pool. It was not a good way to start our vacation. Fortunately after we moved on the rest of the trip was amazing.

The BW Biltmore is a very nice place with more to offer than just a bed. They have a nice pool area for lounging in the sun and cooling off in the water. The staff are friendly and quote accommodating, plus the lounge is perfect for some evening drinks with your group. It's location is great for getting to the airport, downtown or to the water taxi terminal. I will be staying here again when I go to Belize City.

I stayed here one night before the start of a tour and was surprised at how nice it is. The pool area is lovely as is the bar/restaurant area. Food was good and prices were what you'd expect in a hotel. The included breakfast in the morning was really nice too. I enjoyed my stay here and would not hesitate to book again if I ever find myself in Belize City.

Stayed here one night after a week in Ambergris caye. Great hotel and staff. Very clean, good shuttle service to and from the airport too. We also used the shuttle to take us to a local restaurant and when we were done, they picked us back up. We had great service at the lounge and pool bar area. Dayan was great. All the staff was very friendly, in all departments

I can hear a person singing and really loud music clearly from my room that is at the end of the area where there is an event. This is very disrupting and I cannot sleep. It is 11:17 PM and doesn't seem like there is any sign of it stopping. I don't have children, but if you have children and there is an event- do not stay here. If you are planning on waking up early to explore .. do not stay here. My review would have been a 4 star for this hotel as this is our second night here. The staff has been nice, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was ok (some items were not hot or not available), the pool area was overrun by kids unsupervised and clearly under the age of 14, and the gift shop is a nice option ... but the supermarket down the street is more reasonable. One story about the pool, one kid who clearly had no parent present asked me a lot of questions and then proceeded to ask if I could buy him a plate of food. He looked to be about 8 years old. I've seen security the precious day but Saturday afternoon seemed to be a free for all for unsupervised kids at the pool. The hotel won't get this and that's fine, but this event is terrible to other guests...... and very disrespectful as it's so loud this late at night. We have to wake up, get ready, have breakfast, be fully packed and checkout and meet our tour group to go to the next city in less than 7 hours. It seems the event is more important than other guests and I hope others know this prior to staying here.

Bad booking procedure. They gave away our reserved room so our plans got ruined. We planned two nites at the Biltmore. Day two was an expensive local tour. Before we arrived they decided to give away our reserved room. They put us in a different hotel and wanted us to move back to Biltmore for the second nite. Of course that completely ruined day two. We lost our tour trip and the deposit. GET A CLUE, Biltmore!

After several trips to Belize city, this is the nicest place we have stayed. The first night we stayed in a room on the outside. Room 146. It was nice and clean and quiet. Very cool and comfortable. We then went to corazol and came back a few days later and stayed in room 103 on the inside courtyard. It was even nicer and quieter. Love the courtyard, pool areas and restaurant. I had the Mayan ginger chicken and could not eat it all. We shared ceviche, which was excellent. We all had different things for breakfast and shared foods. There was no food that was not delicious. We took the shuttle to the airport to fly home. The driver was punctual and friendly. Will come back

I recently stayed at this hotel which is conveniently located close to the airport for the 4th time. Every year i visit, the service and amenities improve! I'd like to thank Giselle at the front desk particularly for being so helpful (competent, efficient, gracious) - the wait staff were also very pleasant and worked hard to please. The rooms/bathrooms extremely clean and comfortable, and seems recently updated. Nice! i look forward to staying here again ...

We spent two nights here in January 2020 on two seperate occasions as we came into and left the country. Great pool and restaurant area in the middle of the city. Our first room on stay 2 smelt like burnt plastic but they did put us in another room. The breakfast buffet is great, the server even offered to refill our water bottles which was appreciated. Brody's supermarket is walking distance and you can purchase any snacks, sunscreen, repellant, etc that is needed. Would certainly stay here again.

I had a great dinner at the restaurant here at the Best Western. Our server Kimberly was amazing! Friendly and efficient! Thank you for a great dinner experience! The food was incredible, with wonderful flavors and great presentation!

The food here was good and the staff friendly. The room and hotel is dated but pretty clean overall. The hotel is very far from beaches but closer to the Belize Zoo and cave tours so that was helpful.

We stayed 1 week at this hotel. when we checked into our room there was the smell of sewer gas. the first 5 days were ok but on the sixth day the party started. the staff failed to secure the pool and bar area and the twenty year olds took over and were yelling playing music until 2am and running by our room (football stadium type of hotel). In fact 2 people fell into the pool drunk and I thought I was going have to get out of bed to rescue them. I talked to management the next day and they assured me it wouldn't happen again (WRONG) That night there was what staff called a per new years eve party and the music was so loud I couldn't even sleep until 3:30 am . Our last day at this hotel our room didn't even get cleaned and I had to go to the front desk just to get fresh towels so we could shower for our trip home

This is a great hotel. It is unassuming from the front, but inside is very nice and the garden and pool area is beautiful. The best part is the staff... so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I like the layout of the hotel and the pool. There was a fitness room but needed a key to get in. It should have been included but I wasn't all that interested in it. It has a gift shop not real big but had most items. I wanted to buy some artwork but it was fairly pricey the other items seemed reasonable.

There is nothing to really do in Belize City. Only stay at this hotel if it's the last resort or you are just in Belize City for a night. The hotel is nice and clean. The grounds are well kept. The staff is iffy. Not all staff members are motivated to move at a convenient pace. If you eat at the onsite restaruant, the breakfast buffet is worth it! Make sure Kimberly is your server!! The other staff is slow to move. Don't eat dinner there. The kitchen staff is related to the sloth in Zootopia. It took almost 30 min for us to get a check after we were done eating, then an extra 20 min to get our cards picked up. The younger staff that work at the front desk are VERY helpful and the shuttle guys. But if you encounter an older lady, good luck!

This property is beautiful and the staff are all so helpful and friendly. The pool area looked fantastic. Our room was a large size and the bed was so comfortable it was unreal! The gift shop/snack shop on site is nice and the snacks are actually very affordable. Great way to get rid of the last of your BZE money at the end of a trip. I have to say, the food was comically bad. We ended up eating lunch, dinner, and breakfast the next day in the restaurant....it was not great. For lunch we both ordered chicken caesar salads. They brought us bowls of lettuce with croutons....and then brought plates with dishes of grated parmesan (like the Kraft kind), "caesar" dressing (it really didn't taste or smell like caesar...or anything for that matter), and chicken. The chicken was good but the dressing was a bit odd, and it was strange to have it brought out like that. Dinner was the pork chops & the shrimp alfredo. Both were just ok at best. I don't think they know how to alfredo sauce. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't an alfredo. We also ordered lemon pie.....that was a mistake. It was a really underbaked crust with a flavorless and strangely textured filling. I'd recommend skipping dessert, because it's barely edible. Breakfast the next day - we opted to skip out on the buffet because it was missing a couple things we were craving (I think bacon was not included in the buffet). Husband basically got bacon (which was decent) and toast (but no butter or jam came with it?). He also got the cinnamon rolls which were fine, but didn't have any icing on them. I ordered pancakes and sausage. The sausage wasn't great so I didn't eat much of that. Pancakes were fine, but the syrup had a weird flavor to it. The side of oatmeal I got was the most comical. It was basically like they had cook 1 tablespoon of oats with a cup of water. So I had cloudy water with about 3 oats sprinkled in it. At least the restaurant prices weren't jacked up, so the quality of the food was slightly less disappointing... Overall, still rating the property as very good because the space itself is amazing. Just pass on the restaurant.

I just stayed here today and last Monday on both ends of a Placencia trip. The restaurant and bar staff is super attentive and friendly. I was impressed, they seem genuinely interested in making you feel welcome.The front desk except for a nice young man. Seemed a little put off making change and such. I will absolutely stay here again on my next visit. Safe and comfortable Air conditionined rooms. A plus for sure!

Again, another stop over. More improvements visible. Lobby work and I saw already nice rooms being renovated. My room was very modern and clean. They do a great job here of reinvesting in the property and it shows. I wish all places followed their example of excellence.

We usually stay at the Biltmore when in Belize City and have been quite happy there. This time we were a little disappointed in the service and the amenities. We will try it again on our next trip and see if this was just a fluke.

I can,t fault any hotel from making a few bucks but my wife and I picked a Saturday night with a local corporate Christmas party. Anyone that stays in a hotel on a Saturday night be it Baltimore or Belize are going to have to put up with inconsiderate drunken behavior in the hallways. The music however lasted in the open foyer around the pool area well past 1am and obviously condoned by management.If we were warned at check in we would have made other arrangements.

I spent four nights at this hotel during a business trip to Belize. Advantages: Newly renovated spacious rooms Nice outdoor swimming pool Very good restaurant Friendly staff especially at the restaurant A nice gym They offer free coffee at the lobby during the whole day They provide two workstations for free printing Disadvantages: The breakfast is really expensive and they charge for any drinks other than regular coffee and tea Most of the rooms overlook the swimming pool and the restaurant area so you might have trouble sleeping because of the noise There are no good restaurants at a walking distance from the hotel

Stayed at the Biltmore Plaza before and after a vacation on Glovers Atoll. Check-in and out was easy. Hotel was relatively close to the airport... also easy. Meals in the restaurant were great.. especially the breakfast buffet. Pool scene was fun to watch.. and drinks from the outdoor bar were perfect. Loved our stay at the Biltmore.

Belize City has very few good hotels and that's why I'm ranking the Belize Biltmore with 4 stars where normally in other countries I would have give it max a 3 star. The hotel has been renovated these past 3 years by new GM Tim who is an excellent host. The main restaurant and outside bar are new and serve decent food, good drinks, an excellent conch salad and on request a grilled butter conch (see pictures). The room is spacious but the quality of the beds, bathroom could be better. Value (only USD 130 per night) is good. The location of the other only two decent hotels (Ramada and Radisson) in Belize is better as they are both located on the boulevard on the water whereas the Biltmore is closer to the airport.

A lovely hotel, with a lovely swimming pool and glorious plants. A very good onsite restaurant with on the whole friendly staff. Perhaps one exception. The rooms were comfortable and the complimentary tea and coffee in the foyer was a bonus.

I stayed here twice in quick succession for meetings (which were capably hosted here) and have come away impressed by the Biltmore Plaza. The food is excellent - great quality, well prepared and with an interesting range of authentic local dishes. The breakfast and lunch buffets were a highlight. Fortunately it also has an excellent fully-equipped gym, possibly the best in Belize City. The courtyard gardens are green and lush, the pool inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall you can tell it's well-managed. The location is not far from the airport so I'd suggest it for anyone needing an easy overnight before/after a flight.

The hotel looks great. The rooms look outstanding; beds are very comfortable; overall cleanliness was excellent. The hotel's restaurant was very attractive and very well maintained. Food tasted great at very affordable prices.

The Staff were very receptive and accommodating, in particular Ms. Kimberly McKay who was exceptional. the rooms to the front are exposed to the noise coming from the parking lot and the road. The rooms that are inside are much more appealing, especially those that surround the pool.

The venue is good and the lunch was great especially the dukunu. Odon does a great job at keeping things moving. The lines moved quickly and food service manager kept the flow dishes at a good pace.A special compliments to Executive Chef Denfield. Enjoyed lunch!

Front desk staff were more enjoyable and they shared their smiles with me. Very helpful. Check in was quick but my status had yet to be updated in the system. Nonetheless they provided me with the usual baggy with water and a snack. Thank you for the recognition. Bell man helped with the luggage - thank you very much because the lack of an elevator and dragging around the 55lb office box, backpack every day to and from work up and down the winding stairs. Almost to much for me. Had a nice two night stay in a "King Deluxe" room 224. The room was clean and comfortably cool upon arrival and with a small adjustment with the remote control the room was cold!!! A few more adjustments and found the comfort zone. The bed was well made and comfortable - but I woke up each night with a soaked body and wet spot on the bed. The memory foam topped mattress hugging the body and a duvet above makes for a comfortable going to sleep period. But the heat build up caused me to sweat the bed and had to change my "Nike DRY" t-shirt. Have no idea if it me or the combination of the bedding so I'm not putting blame on the property. The shower is showing its age and the shower head it a minimal type not much flow so you've got to rub the dirt of the day off. Old plumbing is a hard thing to update so we gonna live with it. The bathroom was found clean and well stocked with towels and the required soaps and such Nice touch with the swan towel, and TP. TV selection is ample and easy to use. Bottom line to me is that I will do short stays at this property again. Longer stays maybe closer to downtown. Not much around the property for entertainment or shopping that I seen.

I simply love this hotel, its clean and the staff are very cool. Let me however highlight the FOOOD. The food at the Bistro was excellent! Oh my, i had such a good time in Belize....Somebody, please let me go do work!!

The best thing in the hotel is the staff. I thank Mrs. Joan for keepin my room impecable during the whole week. The front office is always there to support you. Mr. Travis Ferguson is a real gentleman. The rooms are confortable, but the bathroom is not compatible with the quality of the hotel. The swimming pool is awesome for those warm days in the beautiful city of Belize. I do not reccomend the restaurant because of the poor quality, bad service and crazy prices (a beer costs 7 USD). Next time I will choose a different place.

A church we partnered with decided to give us a treat for our wedding anniversary and booked Best Western for us for 2 nights. The hotel ambiance was excellent and our room was very comfortable and reminded us of our honey moon except this was far better than the hotel we stated for our honey moon 19 years ago. The location was perfect and our kids enjoyed themselves in the swimming pool. The hotel staff were courteous and friendly. I recommend Best Western to you. It is one of the best.

Came here for breakfast, and was not disappointed. Pancakes, bacon, and mimosas were great!! Friendly establishment,and great customer service. Very informative waitress. Everyone who worked there assisted one another with helping the customers.

No problems whatsoever! The room was clean with a good view of the pool. The service and response of the desk services were fast and always professional. The buffet was especially exceptional.Ted Tejada, the GM was receptive to comments and always there listening.

You know me, I post about fitness area on hotels. About this one, I was amazed! Was fully equipped, with machines, pulleys, benchs, free weight, etc. Two days later I realized that the Hotel have the gym open to the public with a subscription. But that's OK I guess. Something I really like it was the meals, breakfast and dinner although you could get a nice pizza or a shawarma across the street. As a beach resort, there always will be guest in the pool but that's normal.

This Best Western was extremely clean and the room was well stocked. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The lobby was spacious and clean. Our room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows.

Even though we only spent one night in Belize City at the Best Western Plus (in order to fly out of Belize City the next morning), I would recommend this hotel. It feels safe with the interior rooms, and the pool/bar area, as well as the other amenities make for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

We've stayed here a few times before and will definitely continue coming back. The room was really nice, spacious and clean. The gym was also very well equipped, with great staff. We went to the restaurant at night and were very happy with the food and service. The Food and Beverage Supervisor, Rojer Correa, was super attentive and helpful. Definitely ask for him if you're ever here. Overall it's always a pleasant stay.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Everyone was welcoming, kind and courteous. The rooms were cozy and neat. The beds were very comfortable.The ambiance of the entire hotel was relaxing. Everything was clean and sanitary. Kimberly McKay from the Bistro made my birthday trip extra special. She is an amazing waitress! She was very attentive, sweet and warm-spirited! Kim was very proactive and professional in the way that she anticipated my needs. I didn't feel like “just another customer”. It felt more like I was a part of the Best Western Plus family. She provided exceptional service.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone who's looking for really great service and breakfast is amazing!! Karim, Pedro, and Melvin are the absolute best bartenders! I haven't had a single problem when staying for three days.

I stayed just one night for a conference, but wished I had stayed one more night. The bed was very comfortable. Linens were nice quality. The food was very good. The staff were super friendly and attentive to details. Great job.

The hotel was a pretty nice facility. The staff was helpful from the get go. My flight was delayed, and I arrived a day late, the assisted with the rebooking the room. When I arrived the staff was quite friendly. On the first night, however, there seemed to be a group with several children, and they were playing noisily at the pool until pretty late. Otherwise, the room was comfortable. The restaurant breakfast was quite nice ( I had Belizean breakfast from the menu).

We had a 100 plus people attend a conference here and by all accounts they did a very good job. The rooms were nice and clean, the restaurant and bar were very good with good staff. The meeting rooms were ok, they had larger ones they we should have been placed in as ours was a little small for our needs. Our banquet room was better, but had a little trouble getting the meal out to us and missed a few things. Overall they did a very good job.

Our large (~100 person) group from the USA hosted an international meeting in their facilities. The sales manager, Natalia, was quite accommodating, able to assist us with additional needs such as private bus companies for regional tours. We were able to host banquet and classroom style meetings in spaces provided, although I believe there were additional larger rooms available on site. Food was very good, and diverse. The pool was very well maintained, although the bar closed way too early for some attendees preferences (!). Convenient airport transfers were available. Overall - this place offers a very nice, safe facility/hotel if you are looking for someplace your group can meet up in Belize City, with many options in country for personal tours before or after your meeting.

This hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. They are located in the city, so it is not a resort but pretty. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. The hotel pool is great, so is the patio area. Pretty at night with the colored lights. People use the pool at night. There is a bar in the patio area adjacent to the restaurant. Part of the patio was being remodeled while we were there, but did not disturb our rest or prevent us from freely utilizing the facilities. There is a restaurant in the lobby. We didn't eat there, but did eat across the street at a Mediterranean restaurant (yummy lamb chops and wings!). Also at the pizza restaurant. We used the city bus system, cabs, and water taxi to get around. Do be careful! You can take a water taxi downtown to Caye Caulker I think about $16 each way and from there a water taxi to Koko King Beach free. At Koko King beach there is a nice facility to change, water tubes for floating and a free beach. There is a restaurant on site. Decent food. I would certainly stay at this hotel if I travel to Belize again. Look for my review on the cave tubing.

This place is a bit pricey but they place is clean, secure and friendly place. I have no problems with them. You can definitely get a cheaper price in Belize but you want to think about location.The location of this place is perfect. Only mins away from the airport and the are is safe.

The hotel was very clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and central courtyard are really nice. The pool bar is right in the middle of it all and a nice place to have a tasty tropical drink. The only meals we ate were breakfast off the ala carte menu, which are reasonably priced and pretty good. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our room had a microwave and a refrigerator. Rooms have individual air conditioners. The hotel is very secure and safe, they have security at the entrances. Some good food choices are across the street - the Sahara Restaurant and an excellent frozen yogurt place. We walked to Brody's market in the daytime and that was fine. We didn't leave hotel grounds at night. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Belize City again.

I stay at many hotels and notice something. Most are happy with status quo, ownership makes money and skimps on preventive maintenance and upgrades because the money is pulled. This inevitably leads to a decrease in quality, satisfaction and complaints. The Best Western Biltmore is the opposite. They get it. Always something being upgraded or renovated. This trip, the bar area is being expanded. Can't wait to see the finished product. Clean hotel. friendly and very competent staff.

Really nice and clean hotel. Good service and great meals including buffet breakfast for $15usd. Plenty of onsite parking. Only downside is location in an industrial area but we were heading to the airport and this hotel is the closest to the airport. Good price.

Hotel was clean and food was good. Had issues with shuttle service. Not .told of fees and driver was not a BW employee. Lots of children and teens which was hard to get used to as we left an adults only resort.

I was rather nervous booking this hotel because many of the reviews were not that good. I was totally relieved once we got here. We stayed two nights and are coming back here end of next week. The room was fine. Very clean. In addition, there is a good-size refrigerator with an tiny icebox. Outside the room is an ice machine. The front staff was very accommodating. The BEST thing is the hotel shuttle. While the price is the same as the normal taxis (e.g., US$25 to/from intl airport; US$7.50 anywhere downtown, the HUGE plus is you can call the hotel from anywhere for a pickup. Normal taxis have no signs on them - only green license plates. There are extremely few downtown - plus, how do you spot a taxi at night when their headlights are on and you can't see the license plate????? THIS WAS A HUGE BENEFIT - we used the shuttle many times a day and simply charged it to the room. The food was okay. The breakfast buffet is US$15. It is a Belizean breakfast: refried beans (tasted good: both a little bit sweet and little spicy at the same time, pulled chicken, (barely) spicy ground beef, nachos with meat, cheese, etc.) fruit, omelet station, pancakes, cereal, etc. Not spectacular but decent average food. They also have a buffet for lunch (Mexican) at $14, but we did not try it. The food is a bit expensive: we had hamburgers for room service, US$15. Across the street (300 feet to the left at you exit the hotel) is Moe's Pizza - the small pizzas start at US$11 *10 inch diameter) and hamburgers are 1/2 price of those in the hotel - don't know if the are the same size. Hotel has nice size pool with bar attached. All in all, this hotel was quite acceptable and we would certainly return.

Rooms were well appointed and clean with amenities for the business traveller. As it's off a main highway, there isn't much landscaping. Breakfast is adequate, and conference facilities on site make for easy transition. Friendly helpful front desk staff

This hotel is a little oasis 20 minutes away from the airport and right off the highway. We were in Belize for a conference and in between we had time to enjoy the grounds. The exterior of this Best Western is not very attractive , however, when you enter the hotel it's gets better. They are under renovation and rooms are still being upgraded. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Once you enter and head towards your room, the plants on the grounds give you the feelings of a tropical Garden without the fear of what may come out of the bushes - especially at nights, Lol! The grounds are beautiful around a relaxing pool and bar area where you can tan if you don't have time to explore or get to the beach. Food - the hotel has a very good breakfast buffet with an omelet station included and a taste of local juices. Love the coffee - it's fuerte! There is quite a variety of breakfast food choices. There is also a lunch buffet - with local dishes which are delicious. You can do the standard American meal if you prefer there is a menu. But trust me, if you want to sample their local cuisine and you don't want to venture out, in my opinion the food was authentic including fried sweet plantains, sweet potato pudding and cassava pone for dessert. A special shout out to Danika and her supervisor Ms. Alfonette In the bistro who always gave service with a smile and a warm welcome. To Dayan, Pedro and Karim the supervisor who accommodated us the bar although it closes at 10pm. Ms. Hernandez at the front desk - Wonderful staff! Thank you! Dayan, Delicious Piña Coladas. On a lighter note: This hotel is not a resort or a five star hotel so don't get it confused. I had a good experience and so did my peers spending a week there. Ciao, Belize, see you next time!

We have brought two large tour groups here of teenagers. The hotel has served us well. The rooms are a good size with good wifi, digital TV's, air/con and all the other things you would expect in a nice room. The rooms circle a pool/bar area which is spacious and nice. The gym is very large and doubles as a hotel fitness room and a local fitness facility. It is bigger than anything I have seen in a usual hotel. We had the hotel serve our students both breakfast and dinner and both meals are very good. Large quantities of food with a nice variety and dinning can be done inside and outside the hotel. There appears to be conference facilities on the property and a small gift shop. The worse part of the hotel is the exterior entrance which is unremarkable, but once inside, it becomes the best Best Western you will stay in.

Room was spacious, clean, well maintained. Staff were friendly. There's an excellent Lebanese restaurant right across the street in the otherwise unattractive location - not that you're likely to do much walking around in Belize City anyway. Better maintained than the Raddisson which seems to be overdue some renovations.

This hotel has earned its name as the best hotel in the city of Belize City. If you are staying in the city, this is currently the best place to stay for a decent price. (We paid around 150) The hotel grounds are gorgeous, once you move past what appears to be very common rough outward appearance. Check-in was a breeze and the front desk staff where all very helpful. When we arrived the courtyard a section of the courtyard was closed off for renovations which will only add to the beautiful appearance of the common grounds in the future. They have done an amazing job of integrating native plants and foliage with into the courtyard and around the hotel. The restaurant was amazing and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. We paid roughly ($40 for 3 adult meals) and the staff was amazing Danica was our waitress, She is Absolutely the best and sweetest person! I will definitely recommend this hotel and return myself when I visit Belize again soon.

One of the best chain hotels I have used in Belize. Very friendly staff, clean, remodeled rooms. Good food at the restaurant with a good selection of options. They also have decent wifi which is not the norm in Belice. Will definitively return on my next visit to Belize.

Poll is amazing and room are really comfortable. Staff at the restaurant are really slow but friendly. The food is little bit expensive and many items on the menu were missing. I suggest to book yourself for transportation and activities because price at the hotel are high.

Everything thing was amazing. Karen on banquets was outstanding and above and beyond. Trevor at the from desk though was unwelcoming and rude. He gave a bad name for the hotel. But other then him it was amazing

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel also had an onsite restaurant, that provided very tasty breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They even have a bar by the pool with cocktails and food. It was located within walking distance to a few restaurants. A shuttle or taxi was available for a reasonable fee to different tourist attractions. This hotel is very quite and nice to relax at.

Hotel location is not near anything so not a place to stay for itself- apart for lounging by the pool there isn't much to do- but good transit hotel or hotel to stay in while taking day trips. Hotel rooms are okay and clean but have no view. They face out to hotel courtyard. My room was by banquet room and was noisy in evenings with music Restaurants are good and staff was attentive

My husband died in a visit to Jaguar Reef in Hopkins because they didnt have a doctor or nurse in the premises and the hospital was half an hour away. We had to go to Belize City for legalities. We stayed in Ramada for a night but was terrible so we spent 2 nights in Best Western. This is a very clean and nice hotel. The stuff are friendly and helpful and the food is very good.

It is a building that is at least 30 years old. The type of construction is of two levels with open corridors that overlook a central area with garden and pool. Although is an old hotel with many years of operation, the hotel in all of its areas, is impeccable. Floors, walls, corridors, swimming pool, rooms, everything very well maintained. At the rooms, neat and clean bathrooms, comfortable and good quality beds, all its amenities such as refrigerator, coffee maker, accessories, everything neat. A very good lodging option.

We have stayed here many times, twice this trip. We only stay here the night before we fly out. No other reason to stay in the city while here. As far as options in Belize City this is probably the best place to say. Considering the competition that's not saying a whole lot. Rooms are clean and it's in a safe area though. Most staff are very helpful and kind. The exception for some reason is the poolside bar staff. They are non attentive and slow. Zero customer service skills. I sat in the bar for nearly a half an hour without being aknowledged or waited on. I'm sure they are missing a ton of revenue at the pool. I probably would have had two cocktails in that time.

We had a lovely room on the ground floor with 2 double beds which were really comfy. Great facilities in the room including the safe and hairdryer! The swimming pool was great with plenty of sun loungers and it never felt crowded. Good selection at breakfast with a buffet available for $30 BZD which had more than enough food!! Good service on the whole, only thing that could have been improved was the speed of the bar service, we cancelled our drinks order on one occasion as we had waited for 40+ minutes! Overall, a great experience though!

Really lovely hotel - the staff are all so lovely and have the real Belizian hospitality. Hotel itself is very clean and the pool area is really nice. Its in a good location for the airport , not overly close to downtown Belize city but probably for the best! Taxis are cheap anyway. Hotel restaurant nice and reasonably priced but can get very full, the Lebanese and pizza places across the road are good if the hotel restaurant is too full!

The hotel was nice and met expectations. I loved the pizza place nearby as the calzone was delicious. Only issue was a payment issue where they closed my account upon check-in and so I couldn't apply a travel deal to it, as they weren't smart enough to fix the issue.

The hotel is a bit outside the city center already going on the Northern highway going to the airport. I personally don't mind because Belize city is not the best place to be walking around and exploring on your own. The rooms are clean, big and very comfortable and well equipped - I was able to iron my shirt just before my meeting which was nice. The beds are so comfortable and pillows soft, I must say that it's where I get my best sleep when traveling around Belize. They also have a restaurant with good food and a bar by the pool. One of the times I've stayed here, they had live music, soft, enjoyable and decent volume. I felt it did not affect the people in their rooms for they keep a curfew. The staff is nice and friendly, always helpful. I'm a Tour Guide and I love it when I get to start my tours there. It's closer to the airport - no city traffic, and again everyone always sleep good. At the restaurant certain things could take a bit long but to be fair, a lot of times they busy. I enjoy every visit and yesterday staff remembered my name which nice.

Stayed here the night before our flight home. Its a 10 minute drive to the airport. Rooms were great, very comfortable, very clean. They provided us with a bottle of water each, there is a small refurgerator and microwave in the room and great showers. The resturaunt was excellant and very reasonably priced. They do not offer free shuttle to the airport, which was disapointing, however the cost was reasonable- $35 for 4 people

We stayed here one night and have stayed here before. Although the rooms are clean and comfortable, the arrangement of all the rooms around the pool, next to the restaurant means a lot of noise. There was some kind of football game on a huge screen tv when we were there and the drunken cheering went on until the game ended around 11 at night. This hotel was very busy - lots of people, tour groups etc. It does meet all my normal standards but the noise issue can be a problem. They seem to have a back wing away from the pool. That might help. The restaurant was expensive and crowded. We walked to a nearby place on the water, Belamari, which was excellent and a lot cheaper.

We stayed here 3 nights over a 2 week period between trips to different parts of Belize. The rooms are clean, the pool nice and the food good. The staff are excellent. The food is very expensive about 35 US per person per meal for breakfast, lunch etc

The service was Excellent! Ms. Yvette and Travis at the Front desk were always Professional The restaurant staff was always pleasant: Kimberly, Fiona, Alfanette, & Dawn. The drivers Osmond, Derrick, and a Latino driver (i forgot his name) were always on point and went above and beyond to make sure we got to our destinations safely. The location is great, the housekeeping staff was great, the bartenders at the bar were amazing, the pool, the room were spacious and comfortable. I'm definitely coming back and bringing some friends with me. Thank u to the entire staff at The Biltmore and keep keeping on!!!

Arriving the front desk is warm and welcoming with coffee or tea and cookies and delicious water with some lime/cucumber. Rooms have been renovated and looks great. We this time traveled with a child in a wheelchair and were accommodated with a room downstairs and the wheel chair fit in the bath room (which looks awesome now) The pool also has access for her and we could sit and watch while relaxing with a refreshing drink. The hotel was full... yet not noisy at all. The kids decided on nachos in the evening and it was great. Breakfast was very busy yet we did still feel special.. even been local folks. The beds were comfortable and love the little garden setting as well. Plants all over the verandah's made it feel green. Job well done. We will be back.

The hotel is a bit tired but basically ok with good grounds and a breezy pool with lots of parking. We had to overnight to catch an early flight and this was a good place to do that. The pool area is large and breezy and the bar staff friendly offering a poolside bar service. The front desk staff need to go to charm school. As they were functional not friendly . The rooms are ok but the air con and the fridge were noisy and the bathroom was really humid as it is open at the back with no air con. The bathroom sink in our room leaked onto the floor and appeared blocked too!

Stayed one night on a business trip. Quick check in, lobby clean and comfortable. Rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Mini fridge and safe are provided in the rooms. Double lock on the room door. The courtyard area where the pool is located is beautiful! Nice clean pool, lots of comfortable lounge chairs and towels provided pool side. The gardens are lush and well maintained and there is a bar just off the pool deck. The main hotel restaurant has a great shaded outdoor patio as well. Wifi was reliable. Quiet atmosphere, staff were kinda noisy outside the ground floor rooms early in the am but otherwise no noise to speak of. The bathroom window faced the building next door in fairly close proximity but only had a sheer curtain which I found a bit odd and unnecessary. I give it 4/5 because they charge $25 USD for a 10 min drive to the airport in the shuttle van, and the basic breakfast was $15 USD. They said fresh fruit and pastries are available in the lobby after 10am but they were not.

As far as accommodations go in Belize, this place is fantastic. Accessible to the airport and all of Belize City. Grounds and parking lot are secure. Restaurant has great food. Remember, you're in a country where brown-outs are not uncommon and infrastructure is still in development. You're not traveling to a well-developed tourist destination. You're traveling to a country full of adventure, and there is a certain level of "roughing it." One of my favorite international destinations!

All in al it was a pleasure ! The rooms were duper clean ! The garden and pool are bedutiful! The staff was very helpful and kind! The food was good! ! We for sure would stay again! We love Belize! A wonderful place

My mom, 76 was going out to the "Another Night To Remember" Valentine Dance a local popular radio station hosts annually. She was going with her fellow seenagers from YWCA. My spouse and I looked at each other for one minute and decided we had to go also. So we got dressed and went one hour after opening time. As my mom reached the dance hall she put down her bag next to her seenagers and went dancing. My spouse and I danced until we couldn't anymore. We left after three in the morning taking pics downstairs by the pool and admiring the beauty of the yard of Biltmore. We enjoyed dancing there.

A friend and I stayed here four days and three nights. The staff is very friendly, breakfast is $15 US a day, and it has a good variety of food choices. The hotel is walking distance to the supermarket within two blocks. You can catch a taxi for about $1 a mile to anywhere you want to go. Most taxis are not marked taxi, but they all have green tags, and white writing. This makes it easy to identify. There are great restaurants in midtown Belize and that's a ten minute taxi drive. Port of Belize to catch the ferry to other islands is within ten minutes drive also. The location is great. I recommend the hotel. The only issue was the hotel water in our room was like warm at best. We didn't report the issue. Overall, it was a good trip. I'd stay here again upon return.

We had to rent a hotel in belize city as we missed our connection to Placencia. The price was high because we were last minute walk ins. There was no hot water the next morning. The air conditioner didn't work. The food was okay as was the service. We are best western reward members but that didn't seem to matter to the manager.

During our vacation in Belize we stayed our last night in the hotel. Its location is good, on the way to the airport. The service good be better. We arrived during the afternoon. Our room wasn't ready, so we'd to wait in the lobby for almost one hour. We'd dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Everything was delicious. The breakfast buffet is big. Unfortunately there was a big group of young Americans in the hotel. Almost during the whole night they made a lot of noise around the pool. Okay Americans are unfortunately generally noisy, but the management should take a look and stop the noise before midnight, although they are guests.

Nice hotel filled with tourists either waiting to leave or having just arrived. They have a large pool with a nice deck and bar which makes a good place to hang out on a warm evening. Nice restaurant on site & gift shop. I was hoping it was near other tourist hotels so one could walk around but that was not the case. It is the kind of place where you just “hole up” until you get to your next destination or the airport. The rooms are your average hotel room with coffee makers but no refrigerators. Ours was a second story unit at the end which looked out towards the residential neighborhood bordering the river & we saw a pretty sunset from there.

Ms. Shermadine took care of all our needs, ensuring we got what we needed at the gift shop and booking our tours and Evebts! She was pleasant and professional, really attentive to every little detail! We recommend her to ensure you enjoy the best of Belize!!

We felt very welcomed from check in to departure. I even lost my necklace while eating dinner and the next day when we went to check out the ladies told me they had found my necklace and returned it to me. I was so grateful to them. Everything was perfect and we were located close to the private and international airports. I would return in a minute.

This trip it was a little thing that was new. now a toothbrush and a small toothpaste. It may not seem like much, but in the nearly four years I have been coming to my home in Belize City there is always something improved. Clean rooms. friendly staff. Close to both airports. Convenient location. new improved road in front.

Overall this hotel was good. They do not have an elevator! We had dinner and it was just ok because the fish was overcooked. We had a quiet night sleep. The major issue i have with this hotel is when i checked in and was given the rate for the night, the clerk told me the rate was inclusive with breakfast. The next morning when we went to eat breakfast they asked for a ticket. I told them i did not receive one and they did not honor what i was told the night before. They wanted to charge me an extra $15 USD per person for breakfast. We ended up checking out early that morning. The customer service is really poor here. I would stay here again but just remember to get your breakfast ticket at check in to save you the frustration i experienced.

Stayed several nights in a room close to pool (and bar) so drunk students screamed and yelled until 3am. No one would make them shut up. Doors slam all night long, so very hard to get a good night rest. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was fine. Nice variety of foods. Very friendly employees, especially the guest services lady, she was so kind. We walked to a local grocery store for snacks, and saw that this is out away from everything. There is no beach, so the only swimming was in the pool. Nothing else around, so we did a lot of tours. Keep in mind that the glasses in the room are not changed daily, just swiped off and plastic lids placed back on top of them. How did I know this, well, my lip gloss residue was still on them after the room was cleaned!

We didn't know what to expect when we came here, and were pleasantly surprised at every aspect of the services this hotel has to offer. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was fantastic, and the staff incredible. The food and drink here are delicious. We felt very safe at the hotel. The hotel offers paid shuttle services to San Ignacio and many other destinations, at a reasonable cost. Our shuttle driver, Derek, was awesome. Maria and Ms. Hernandez both went out of their way to help us with logistics. Thank you!

We only stayed one night as it was strickly for a layover. We wanted to get to our island resort early the next day. They suggested the Best Western and it was ok. AC was broke, room was clean. Yes this hotel has seen better days but they're working on it. It has a nice pool lounge area. The Pizza I ordered seemed to come from someplace else. I assume it was takeout cause they gave it to me1/2 hour after my wife finished her meal and in the box it came in, with the Pizza splattered all on the inside of the box.

Hotel has old rooms. Outdated furniture. Smelly. Nice but expensive restsurant. You can go to Sahara Grill across the street or Moe's Pizza for better food options. Terrible shuttle service. Never on time. Fro my desk will make you wait and wait. Insist on a cab if you really want to book through the hotel. You can step out of the hotel and get a taxi.

The hotel is nice. Nice gym and pool. Room was clean and comfy. The women working in the bar was oddly rude from the get go. Ordered and she didn't make eye contact or say anything so I repeated and she snapped I KNOW. Went back to order food, same attitude. Does seem they could bring food to the room @ $28.00 burger and $25,00 club. Needed to call United airlines and the hotel charges $5.00 a minute and SKYPE won't work there due to internet connection. So..pretty screwed to contact airlines and they just shrugged. Radisson is much more service oriented.

Ever since I decided to boycott Radisson Fort George for their unfair treatment of family members, I have been staying at Biltmore Plaza whenever my stay in Belize includes Belize City. The rooms are super comfy and well appointed. The pool area where my husband and I spent our downtime entertaining our family who live locally is our favorite area with food and drinks readily available from courteous staff. The convenience to a lot of inland activities was ideal as this property is situated just outside of the center of town. Note that presently there is a lot of road work taking place so there might be a bit of a delay with traffic but its only about a 2 mile stretch and after that you have the open road. The hotel lobby has a bit of an old world Belize charm to it and the overall feeling is Caribbean casual with friendly and attentive staff.

The hotel itself was fine and my room was ok. I was given a room next to one of the conference rooms, which didn't bother me at first. However the construction/repairs at all hours of the day quickly became a nuisance. On my last night I returned from day long meetings after 6pm, to have loud banging from nearby echoing through my room. It was unbearably loud! I called the front desk at least three times over 60 minutes before the noise level went down. Then, there was no water in my room. Turns out water was leaking into the room below me, so they shut it off. No one bothered to informed me that they needed to do that. In fact, it was only after calling the front desk and waiting well over another 45 minutes, did the manager show up to explain. They couldn't relocate me, so gave me hot water and a heavy water container which I couldn't move anywhere by myself. In the morning, there was no hot water in the shower and I needed to shower so I could leave for the airport. Cue several calls and another long wait before I was given a suite to shower in. Interesting how the suite was clean and available for a shower first thing in the morning, but not to relocate me the night before..... As a business traveler, I can't say that I plan to stay at this hotel in the future. My experience may not have been the norm, but it was enough to deter me from future visits and for me to let my colleagues know about the experience.

Hotel was staffed with very friendly people, food was fantastic, and room was clean and comfortable. Each server at the restaurant and bar made a point to talk and make us feel comfortable with personal conversations. Their job was done professionally, quickly, and personal. We will stay again.

This hotel actually looks much nicer in person than online. The food is alright, the showers are cold! We stayed in two different rooms and tried taking showers at different times of the day... never got warm water.

As usual....had a great time at the Best Western Plus in Belize. Spent 5 days here on a mission trip in late November. Good safe location. Rooms were very clean and spacious, with fridge µwave. Loved the marble like flooring, was so clean you could see yourself. The pool was relaxing, included was a bar where you could order food! The food was good and reasonable. There is also a fitness center. Service was outstanding overall. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel looked nice when I arrived, the pool area was lovely, there was a bar which also sold food. I had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, which was snapper fillet with shrimp in a champagne sauce which was very delicious. The room was fairly clean but did wonder if the bed linen on one of the beds had been cleaned as when I pulled back the sheets the cotton sheets seemed very crinkled like someone had already slept there! Needless to say I did sleep in the other bed which seemed OK. Also there was hair on the shower wall. All other amenities were OK.

I have stayed here on multiple occasions and I have concluded that it's the best location in a hotel desert. The rooms themselves are my biggest complaint. It seems as if the switches and the electronics are intentionally obscured. The AC switch is hidden in every room and every stay begins with a scavenger hunt. You Cobán assume that the remote controls are in fact working however, locating the switch on the wall that provides power to whatever you're trying to use is another issue. The refrigerator is almost unplugged and moving it, and locating a plug-in is another issue. The beds are slightly softer than the floors. You decide which is more comfortable. There are no quiet rooms. The Best western often hosts larger groups. Expect a group of college students or a missionary will claim the pool, bar, and lobby. Scream on partiers! Do not expect any considerations if you need to change your reservations. You will pay full price. There is a parking lot in the back (also hidden). The parking in front is super tight. Somebody in management should try to roll a suitcase around the property sometime, just to see how inaccessible the place is. The restaurant is fine. I've never had a bad meal there. Embrace Belize and try the interesting breakfast buffet! The staff are pleasant, especially the front desk team. They'll smile the whole time while refusing to release you a day early from your reservation!

Friendly staff and good prices. Comfortable rooms and great pool bar. Dining staff is a little confusing. Buffett is good. Bathroom needs update. House keeping needs to spray the mildew in the bathroom.

This hotel is in a good location. Clean throughout the building. Room was newly renovated I think. Well laid out and spacious. The restrant had a buffet with multiple choices and everything I tried was really good. The restaurant staff was very nice and on top of anything needed. Ate 2 lunches and 2 breakfasts. All were very good.

Nice clean rooms, spacious, Great environment, friendly staff members. This hotel exceeded our expectations we enjoyed our stay and we would recommend for anybody to stay there in the future. The beds were comfortable and the new rooms were decorated nicely.

Though Belize City is hardly the highlight of any trip to Belize, it is a practical place to stay at for the visits to Maya Ruins etc in central / north Belize. This hotel makes a very comfortable home base at a very reasonable price. A/C, Wi-Fi, space etc were very enjoyable, the drinks available by the pool a nice touch and the entire experience very comfortable. Should you have rented your own car, they have a parking lot. The entire experience was perfect, in what feels like a very good 3 star hotel.

I have visited Belize several times. The Best Western Biltmore has went out of their way to make sure all our needs have been taken care of. They welcomed us as if we are family. Maria has an outgoing and gregarious personality that welcomes you with a glowing smile and outstanding customer service. The pool is beautiful and clean with an outdoor bar. Their lobby is warm and open with reliable WiFi for guests. We will return again to our family at the Biltmore.

Excellent experience! The hotel staff are accommodating and went the extra mile to assist! They made me feel at home away from home! I will recommend this establishment to my friends and family! It'll be my first choice when travelling to Belize City for business or pleasure!

This hotel is a comfortable stay with excellent staff and customer service. I think the rooms need to be upgraded and the water wasn't very hot. But overall, this was a comfortable stay and I will stay there again.

She put our minds at ease regarding our upcoming travel and stay, and attended to each detail regarding our travel and stay in Belize. Good— picked up from the water taxi by the shuttle, shuttle was well kept and driver was great! Hotel overall seemed clean and well maintained, staff were very nice. Room was clean and AC kept us cool all night. Internet was good. Bad— food prices were high. We bought a pizza and it was nearly double the price of a near identical pizza in San Pedro. Shower was warm at best; not comfortably warm but not uncomfortably cold.

Stayed at the Biltmore on two separate occasions for conferences that were being held at the hotel itself. The accommodations on the both occasions were perfect no complaints and the staff was also accommodating. They actually recognized me on my second trip, which made me feel right at home. The food that was served during both conferences was excellent and the mixture of local and international dishes was a perfect combination. The same could be said of breakfast as this also had local dishes being served. Would recommend to any first timer or regular visitor to Belize to stay at the Biltmore, Marion and the rest of the staff will definitely take good care of you.

Imagine making your reservation weeks in advance and paid for it to attend a very important event in your husband career and to check in and be told that your ac is not good and they don't have a room to change u to but have to send you to another hotel ....and then before you leave you mentioned where you work and what role you play.....and then while enroute to the next hotel you got a call with all the apology and BS that they have another room and they are sorry and they now have a suite to put you in...and Vivianne the from desk was rude with her blunt sharp tone sarcasm ..and and whole pile and big BS. .....got to the front desk again and was told oh they quickly clean the room so now the ac was good....how stupid do you think i am i was just told over the phone i was given another room.....yeah....I was already pissed off.....I have been in the tourism business for over 10 years so I know good customer service ...never staying here again nor will I recommend to any of my friends

I stayed at the Biltmore for 4 nights during a meeting, and was entirely disappointed and disgusted by the hotel manager Ted Tejada. Our group of 15 left dinner service to purchase meals at nearby restaurants after receiving poor service for 3 nights in a row. The hotel manager, Ted Tejada, offered us a poor apology and a leftover cake from his birthday, but never gave us an explanation for why our dinners were served after waiting 1.5 hours and more every night, or why the dinner of seafood pasta was served to us on tiny saucer plates. He also promised to reimburse the dinners we paid for out of pocket after leaving the hotel restaurant. Not only did he blatantly refuse to follow through on some of those reimbursements, but he also brought 2 restaurant staff (who happened to be black) to apologize to our group but had nothing to do with our issues. Ted Tejada is sleazy, cannot be trusted, and I wouldn't stay at this hotel for free.

What can I say. As usual, clean, friendly service. Strong Wifi. Stayed last night of trip as I had an early flight. Great location. Nice to see road paving moving along. Belize City is looking better each trip.

Very clean, good amenities, attractive rooms with a lovely courtyard and pool. Service was very good from check in to check out. My husband and I were split on the dinner experience. I had Lobster Carnival- excellent with three tails cooked as ordered. He had the surf and turf option- lets just say the steak wasn't from any tenderloin we'd ever seen. We both agreed that dessert wasn't good. Breakfast had a very nice variety of good quality choices.

I stay at this location for one day had a family wedding to attend in the city and needed to be close to the airport for my early flight back to the U.S. I enjoy being on the first floor near the rear parking and the pool being right outside my room door. I did the morning breakfast buffet and I really enjoy the selection of items served. Kimberly and other staff at Biltmore bistro was very helpful and friendly. Checkout was quick and enjoyable thank to Yvette who was working the front desk but I can't say the same for her colleague on my checkin. This statement is for Tripadvisor and the BW Biltmore management team if you want customers info on booking engine eg. how many people in party and children age fine. But please don't let your customer feel like I/we don't answer your request truthfully and tell me personally on checkin my 14yr old is considered an adult ($$) in a hostile manner but in the same token tell me if I wanted my child to checkin it not allow due to being a minor and an adult is needed.

I went to two other hotels before stay in this one and for being honest is the only hotel in town acceptable to sleep and eat. The rooms are clean and the standards of BW looks the same than USA, the internet is good enough, you can see that they are renovating the facilities, some of the areas smell like new. This Hotel is faaaaar away than Ramada and Radisson, sorry to mention the names but those hotels should to be closed.

We stayed here overnight to wait for our departure from Belize after a 2 week stay in several different locations San Pedro, Placencia, and San Ignacio. The beds were comfortable. The room temperature was comfortable if you figure out how to use the air conditioner. The floors are tile, not carpet, which makes sense as they are prone to flooding. The shower was nice and hot and plenty of pressure. The food in the restaurant and the room service are lacking. We had dinner at the restauarant when we arrived at check in the night before our departure. The waitress acted like she did not care to wait on us and mostly ignored us unless we tried to get her attention. Perhaps we were spoiled, but the food was not good and it was cold by the time we got it. We ate it anyway because we were hungry ... and it did not taste as good as it sounded in the menu. Room service the next morning for breakfast, we ordered 3 separate meals and there was an item left off of each plate ... and yep .. it was cold by the time we got it. The hotel itself was fine, and we may actually stay there again if we go back, just because of the location, but we will utilize the small grocery store across the street for our meals ... about a block from the hotel ... and the room had a fridge and microwave so that helped.

Our room was fabulous and the amenities were enough. The beds were comfortable and the hotel grounds were immaculate. What made our one night experience average was our faulty AC that made our trip displeasing. We reported it and the staff reacted but at the end of the night we ended up sleeping in a warm room.

Much of this hotel we found agreeable, clean, with polite employees. Why not a "very good" rating? The noise around the pool by our room. We asked to switch, but no rooms were apparently available to change. Furthermore, the pool rules are clearly stated on signs. However, some employees ignore these by having their children or younger siblings spend the days at the pool. The kids were there in the morning by nine and there till late afternoon. Guests could not lie around the pool to sunbathe without being splashed from kids jumping and diving into pool. The noise was not from guests. I was harassed by one boy when I tried to swim laps in the morning. The management may say and state that locals can not be in the pool, but it is either ignored or winked at. No diving, but the kids do. Loud noise. Signs clearly state that the pool is for hotel guests only. Our room heard the noise much of the day. While it would have been nice to have a small, quick self-serve breakfast available, the buffet looked good, but was relatively expensive. We didn't try it. The food at the restaurant in the evening was relatively expensive but good. The pool bar service and drinks in the evenings were good. The small tienda and lobby were very well apportioned and the employees polite and professional.

I stayed here 2 nights, a week apart. This is probably the nicest hotel in Belize City. Not too far from the airport, like many Best Westerns in the US, secure parking lot, fenced facility for safety. The staff we very friendly and the breakfast buffet, with emlette station, was delicious. The pool is kind of small but super close to the outdoor bar.

Our group of 18 adults and girls stayed at this hotel for 2 nights of our eight day tour of Belize. The rooms were very clean and updated. The food was really wonderful. The pool was very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Good location, 30 minutes away from the airport. The Concierge can book for you a van to the airport. The hotel is basic, but very clean and it has spacious rooms. They have a small cafe acros the street where you can have a simple breakfast of coffee snack. It is an OK place for an overnight or two if you are on business. THis is not a vacation place. The harbor where the cruises stop to go to the Mayan ruins or to the tubing caves is very close.

Clean rooms, great Wi-Fi and breakfast and really, really friendly and helpful staff that picked us up from the airport and dropped us off. Great pool and outdoor space too. Location very convenient for City and Municipal airport to cayes

I can't quite give the hotel 5 stars because it's not a "5 star" hotel. That being said, whenever I travel to Belize City, this will be my go to location. The rooms are not luxurious, but are nice and clean without a lot of bells and whistles. I had what I think was the "Belizean" breakfast which consisted of fry jacks, beans and eggs - delicious. For a late night snack I had a shrimp ceviche, also delicious. The staff was friendly. Will definitely return.

My friend and I stayed for only one night at the Best Western. We flew in from San Pedro at 5 PM and left the following morning at 7 AM for the international airport to head home. I was impressed with the standard room we booked. It was renovated, the beds were super comfortable, and the AC was ice cold. We couldn't hear any traffic from our room at all. There is a pool at the hotel, but we didn't get a chance to hop in because it was extremely crowded. The restaurant at the hotel was really nice and the food was tasty. Highly recommend. The taxi from the municipal airport was $15 BZ. Shuttle to the international airport was $25 USD. I would recommend staying at this hotel for a short stay in Belize City.

I came to Belize for a week of work and cancelled my group's original stay (33 people) @ another hotel after only one night (terrible smell, poor conditions in the rooms) and moved it here after being recommended by someone from the airport. It is not on the water or in the heart of Belize City like the last hotel, but the staff (Jennifer at the front desk, Maria and Marion in sales, and Ted the GM) made up for it with their customer service. They are all truly amazing and really care about their customers and their experiences while in Belize. They realize that the vacation experience starts and ends with the hotel! It is 15 minutes in between the airport and Belize City along the main "highway". The rooms are great and they have been updated with brand new beds, in room wifi, TVs and AC units. The maid staff are also amazing, they keep the rooms extremely clean and well stocked. The pool and bar (Ms Dayan or Ms D!) were a nice place to relax as well as the gym with new equipment! There is still plenty of construction on the road out front, like the rest of the area, but they are almost done inside the hotel. It goes to show that they are updating the hotel to better suit their clientele. They are also very thankful and accepting of recommendations for future improvements. I would highly recommend this hotel to any and everyone whether it be for a single night or a long stay. This will be the my first choice anytime I or my group comes back to Belize.

I'm going to leave this establishment a raving 5-Star review for so many reasons! After spending close to two weeks in Placencia & in the hills of San Ignacio, this was such a welcome back to reality with super clean and large rooms (newly renovated), a great pool and outdoor area, a very nice indoor/outdoor restaurant, and a great staff in general. Yes there was construction on property and on the main road; but honestly we put our headphones in and never noticed a thing! Their website notes the construction so no surprise there. The only thing I would note is that the outdoor bar staff is not very attentive, but you're in a great atmosphere so who cares?! Close to the airport and has a shuttle. Very convenient and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend!!

Unlike the large disaster of a hotel I had to stay at during my last visit, the Biltmore is always striving to be better. Always a new renovation to create a better guest experience. Smiling and courteous staff. Consistent, well kept rooms. I will keep returning as long as they have room for me.

My family stayed here for an evening as we were returning from Ambergris Caye and had an early flight the next morning out of Belize City. We took the ferry from San Pedro to Belize City and called the hotel to tell them that we needed a shuttle ride. They told us it would be $15 Belize for the first 2 people and then $5 more for each additional person. The hotel is only 3 miles from the ferry, not sure why there is a charge. We ended up taking a taxi for $15 Belize for all four of us for the 5-minute ride. While checking in they tried to charge an additional $30 U.S. for our two children. We told them we made the reservations online and put in the number of people that would be staying in the room. They said their computers made an error and they needed to charge us more money. After a few minutes of arguing, they finally agreed to charge us the amount we had reserved the room for. We also informed them we would need a shuttle bus to the airport in the morning, and they said it would be $25 Belize dollars. The driver the next morning informed us that the woman who told us it was $25 Belize made a mistake, it was actually $25 U.S. We were already paying as much to stay here as we were on San Pedro for a 2 bedroom condo with a kitchen and a full deck with a hot-tub. Anyway, we made our way to the room, which smelled really awful upon entering, not sure if it was the cleaner they used or what but it smelled like pungent cherry and sweat. The AC in the room barely worked but after a few hours on the high setting, cooled the small room. We actually bought a few candles from the market down the street and burned them in our room to cover the smell. Also, the city is replacing the road that runs in front of the hotel, so at 6:30 AM the loud construction noise woke all of us. We had to be up at 7:15 anyway but would have enjoyed the extra 45 minutes of sleep. All in all, it is a place to sleep in a junky part of town that has little to no customer service. On the bright side, the lobby and dining room are very nice and the pool and bar areas are above average for this sort of hotel. Next time we travel to Belize, I will look for a different place to stay.

This is to commend Ms. Marion Middleton and the rest of the Belize Biltmore Plaza team for making the Biltmore a true home away from home and making our stay there an excellent one. My wife and I went to Belize for a week arriving on June 3 and departing on June 11. During that time we only spent two nights in Hopkins so the majority of our stay was at the Biltmore. Upon arrival we were warmly welcome by a friendly staff who remembered us from our previous visit in February and greeted us by name. When we arrived at the room we were very pleasantly surprised to see a full platter of at least five local fruits that was waiting for us in our room. The fruit made a big difference as we were famished after having been traveling for more than 12 hours (and three time zones) from Sacramento, California. This made us feel very special. The house keeping staff also did a great job of taking care of all our needs while we were there. With this kind of excellent treatment and accommodation, we plan to continue making the Belize Biltmore Plaza our destination when we go back to Belize. Kudos to all for a great job.

My family went to Belize for a family event. We were staying at different hotels due to hotel loyalty. But when our kids went to the Biltmore to see our rooms, they all changed there reservations and moved over to the Biltmore the next day. The gardens, the pool, the bar, and comfortable accommodations are a plus. We sure had a wonderful family reunion. Special mention to Marion in the sales department who made it worked for us. Housekeeping did a wonderful job as well in meeting our needs.

Room was clean, bed comfy but very noisy. Renovations were going on what sounded like above us or in the room next door. The works started at 7.30am with loud banging and drilling. To add to that we were in the room next to the gym. The gym door slammed until very late at night and started at about 4.30am every 5 mins or so. Very annoying. You think they would adjust the door hinge so it doesnt slam as Im sure other rooms close to ours would have been woken by it too. My boyfriend who could sleep through a nuclear war woke up so it is very loud. The restaurant was over priced but the food was ok. They did bring out a complimentary cup of soup and warm bread which was delicious but the mains were just OK. We sat outside as it was such a beautiful evening but the mosquitos were really bad. You would think they would have mosquito coils or something but they didnt. Location close to port and airport which was perfect for us as we came in from Caye Caulker via water taxi and flew out the next day. The experience would have been much better and awarded a higher rating if the renovations werent so loud and we werent in a room next to the gym. The hotel was not full so it would have been nice if they had put us in a room away from the renovations and the gym.

We stayed one night for our last night in Belize which a lot of people do and I would highly recommend it. We were staying in San Pedro and had an early flight home and didnt want to rush around the morning we were leaving. The hotel grounds are nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable with very dark shades on the window which were great because we went to sleep early. We really enjoyed the food at the onsite restaurant.

The pros to this hotel are that our room had a mini-fridge and microwave, with two comfortable queen beds. Unfortunately the fridge was more like a cooler. Great gym. Nice little pool in the courtyard but the locals like to rent out the facility for birthday parties, so kids were noisily splashing around from noon to nearly 9pm (it was Saturday). Also, the very tight parking lot was full due to a wedding reception. The bathroom had no tub, only a weak shower. It's only 15 minutes to the airport, and Brodie's supermarket is just down the street. The hotel has a 10% service charge on top of the regular tax. They charge an extra $15 USD for a rollaway bed. Their restaurant charges high prices, like $45 US dollars for a steak, $15 USD for a burger. I would NOT recommend walking around outside the hotel at night. I would not stay here for vacation, but would only spend a night if you need to be at the airport early the next day. Staff was polite.

We stayed here for our last night in Belize. The check in was extremely fast and easy. The room was beautiful and clean. The A/C worked fabulously. The pool was delightful. Everything worked perfectly. The bar has different items to eat than the restaurant. The food was great!

We are staying here 1 night before our flight home leaves in the AM. We've been treated rudely by quite seriously every single staffer we have interacted with (other reviews note this as well), with the exception of one woman at the pool bar who wasn't dismissive or surly. The price for the room is exorbitant, and I've never in my life seen an intl'l chain that wants to charge $25US for 2 adults plus and additional $10US charge for 2 kids to go 5 miles down the road to the airport. Best Western is a franchised chain I believe, and the mgmt here must be out of their mind. I saw a sign for a Radisson on the road today from the water taxi, and immediately regretted not booking there. Do your research and find someplace else to stay. This has ruined what has otherwise been a decent week in Belize and left a very bad taste in our mouths. We also encountered rudeness on Caye Caulker but not the level in this establishment.

Best Western Plus Biltmore Plaza Hotel is a nice four-star hotel trying to provide excellent service and situated on the Philip Goldson Avenue about five Km (3 miles) from the city center of Belize City and about 11 Km (7 miles) from Philip S.W.Goldson International Airport. The Best Western Plus Biltmore Plaza Hotel is a very nice, comfortable and quite hotel in Belize City, but you have to take a taxi, use the hotel shuttle service or the public bus outside the hotel to go to downtown Belize City. I was very satisfied with the overall experience and quality of the Hotel. Both the arrival experience (check-in) was very positive (helpful and caring personnel) offering us also a welcome drink, as well as the check out experience (speed, helpfulness and care) was also a very satisfying experience. Besides that I think that some times the personnel at the reception must be more smiley and friendly. The hotel room was spacious, very clean and modern designed (décor) and the service of the staff was excellent as they were polite, attentive and helpful. I liked very much the swimming pool which was for us a big advantage as we were away from the sea and from a adequate beach for swimming. The appearance of the reception / lobby was highly welcoming with both water, coffee and tea on side and the design of the lobby / reception was stylish and professional. Considering the value for money it was good, but we expected better prices than those offered by direct bookings (and therefore better value for money). The service also in the bar was excellent and we did not encounter any problems at all. Generally, the personnel has a customer oriented attitude (e.g. the shuttle service drivers) but I would also like to mention the service provided to us by the Director of Sales and Marketing Mrs. Marion Middleton. who really excel in customer orientation attitude by solving a real problem of ours, caused by a silly mistake during the online booking process. We were very happy after the solution provided and we thank her again for paying attention to our problem. In conclusion I liked my stay at Best Western Plus Biltmore Plaza Hotel in Belize City and my stay was enjoyable (good value for money, although it could be better) and I would stay again if the opportunity arises.

Definitely nicer than what i was expecting from a best western. The pool was quite nice, and a great dip for a hot day. The staff was polite, but not necessarily friendly. The person checking us in seemed tired, and the staff around the pool seemed flustered. Location-wise, this is a good spot if you're needing to head to the airport quickly, but isn't close to much from a tourism standpoint. The room was clean, and the sheets/bed were very soft. More of a business oriented location rather than a vacation spot in my opinion, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

This was a very nice stay in Belize City. We left Caye Caulker one day early to make flying out easy and really enjoyed Best Western Plus Belize Biltmore Plaza. Very friendly and helpful staff, a very nice pool, excellent dinning room and attractive facility. We will return!

Agree with last post not worth the price and was very noisy. Stayed for half the price and more clean and quite. Pictures are a little deceiving to the resr of the area. Should of paid attention to reviews before booking my fault

Should of booked elsewhere. Very pricy for what you get. Found it noisy at night and hard to sleep. Cancelled my second and third night reservation and moved to ramada. Less than half the price and much more quite. Save your money

You just never can take all the reviews to heart. After being stranded by Southwest at 7pm. After both planes to get here were delayed(4+ hr delay). We missed our flight to Placencia and after hearing about not safe areas in Belize we weren't sure what to do. Taxi driver suggested this Best Western and to our delight was perfect for one night pit stop after a day of delays. All the staff was super friendly, fast, informative. The restaurant food was really good. Bar outside was nice. Room had no issues that I noticed. I wish we would have seen this place while planning our trip and will keep in mind for stays around the airport in the future.

The hotel is not located near the water, and therefore, there are no restaurants nearby. If you do not have a car, then you are stuck paying for a cab or to eat at the hotel restaurant. The food in the hotel restaurant was only fair. The internet did not work, and when we requested assistance we were told we would receive a return call; we never did and had to go to the front desk. The water in the shower was either very hot or very cold, it did not mix. Towels were not readily available at the pool. When requested at the front desk, we were told to go back to the pool. The towels arrived 20 minutes later. Overall, nothing to rave about.

I stayed one night at the end of a 2-week trip to various locations in Belize. After living rough for a week or so, it was great to have a comfortable bed, a hot shower, air-conditioning, and wifi. My room, which included a small refrigerator, was comfortable. Unfortunately, the rooms at this hotel seem to be organized around a central courtyard, which includes the pool. I spent the first couple of hours in my room listening to many rounds of "Marco Polo" as children played in the pool. Also, my room was two doors away from the courtyard restrooms, so there was the constant slap of running feet along the tiled passageway. Napping was impossible. I had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food was good. Service, although a bit slow to start, was good once it was underway. The hotel is a 10 - 15 minute drive from the international airport. Whether you go there in the hotel shuttle or in a taxi, the fare is $25 US, so don't bother to find an alternative to the hotel shuttle. I put it on my hotel bill so that I could pay with a credit card, and tipped the driver in cash for loading and unloading my bag. Note: This hotel does NOT have an elevator. The tap water is NOT potable, so don't use it for drinking or brushing your teeth. There are two complimentary bottles of water in your room; you can buy more bottled water from the hotel.

There are some job being done on the highway so the area is very dusty but inside the hotel is very clean. If you are looking to sleep late then avoid having a room in the first floor and/or around the pool because it is very noisy. Room are big and cozy. Food is regular and as they have only one restaurant it is usually full and service get slow. Overall you the service is good for your money.

The rooms are pretty clean and the pool is nice enough, but the hotel is on a busy dusty highway, the air conditioners are extremely loud, the restaurant food is tolerable at best, and the restaurant service is terrible. Make sure the windows in your room are locked. when we checked in, the windows were unlocked, and someone can easily reach in and open your door. We did have a very nice bartender.

The hotels looks quite fancy, nice lobby, good pool and a cosy patio. However, the service is very poor. Takes too long before you have your dinner and cocktails, no alcohol served before 18:00h (due to Easter) and the worst: bathroom smells like sewer. So, regarding the price-quality this hotel is a no-go.

This hotel is not anything like the best westerns in the US. It is very high quality. The staff is very nice. The pool is great. There was a problem with my reservation, that was not their fault and they straightened it out. There was a problem with the lock on my door, but the hotel was full so I couldn't switch rooms. They got it fixed by 8 pm. The next day I found a fruit plate in my room because of the problem. When we checked in there was no water because of a broken pipe, but that was fixed by 8pm also. I heard another stupid Anglo complaining to his guide he couldn't take a shower. Geez, can't you go with the flow, it wasn't their fault and it was only 5 or 6 hours.

Located close ($50 Belize Dollars taxi ride; 15 minutes) to the Belize City International Airport (PGIA) and even closer to downtown, this Best Western Hotel is the perfect spot to soak up the sun, have a Bloody Mary, and chill at their fabulous pool (Best in Belize City) for a night or two or more. The fitness center is well equipped with some new cardio equipment along with WiFi internet. Located to facilitate easy day trips (or more) to many fabulous venues on the mainland or the two major Cayes, I always stay at the Best Western Plus Belize Biltmore Plaza for several nights on my way back from Placencia. Restaurant is excellent, so no requirement to leave the premises, unless you have not yet had the pleasure of exploring Belize City / northern Belize...

I was so impressed by the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the room and overall grounds. The pool area was fun with plenty of sun which is also located right beside the outdoor bar. I order the fish fingers and they were great! Front desk was very helpful in securing transportation for me in the morning. Thanks BW for the great stay! Looking forward to seeing you again.

This was our hotel the night we flew out after spending 10 days in Belize. As another reviewer mentioned- it made a nice transition from the country of Belize back to reality! Hotel is clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Nice amenities- and comfortable beds. We didn't use the pool but it looked very nice. When we were checking in we asked the hotel receptionist about places to eat and about the on-site restaurant - she tried do dissuade us from eating there - suggesting other restaurants that might be better. But we had driven all day and really didn't feel like looking for a place to eat so we ate at the restaurant- the Biltmore Bistro. We should have heeded the receptionist! My fish was inedible; very fishy smelling and not fresh. The shrimps were rubbery and tasteless. After outstanding seafood meals across Belize - this was such a let down. Service was fine and the bread was good but that was about it. I opted for dessert since I didn't eat any of my meal and even the desserts were awful - my eclairs were both dry and chewy and my husband's creme brûlée was small and tepid. So, good hotel - avoid the restaurant! One other note - if you are given a room in the 200s - be aware that there is no elevator- on the way in a busboy helped us with our luggage (and even he struggled a bit) but checking out we had to take turns hauling our suitcases a set of three separate stair ways. Not a big deal for us but kind of a hassle.

We used the Biltmore as a meeting place during our trip and had lunch. Even though we didn't stay overnight, the staff was most accommodating and helpful. The place is clean, welcoming, and safe. Food service is well done and we felt fairly treated. If you need to get organized before of after you venture around the country I would recommend this hotel. Grocery stores are close and it is located on the good side of town (north side).

Once again.....Belize Best Western Hotel has made my recent trip to Belize memorable. From driver Derick picking me up at the Airport, Manager Patrick greeting me on my arrival, Ms. Yvette checking me in, Kim serving me at the restaurant, Merewyn checking on me at the bar, to Merlene making sure my room is to my liking; they all played a very integral part in my enjoyable stay at the hotel. I am already looking forward to my next trip!

We stayed at the Biltmore for one night between our guided Light House Reef adventure and our flight home. We found the Biltmore very clean and welcoming. The front desk was prepared for our arrival and friendly. The food and drink was good. The pool and courtyard were welcoming. Our room was clean, and well appointed. We never left the hotel, but found the location very convenient to the airport.

This place is not situated along the beach; neither does it have a casino. But the Biltmore is the hotel you are looking for if you want smooth excellent service away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The service is excellent, receptionist, kitchen staff, room service and all its employees are well trained. Your stay will definitely be remarkable that you will want to return. This hotel is just superb. Make it your next visit.

We notified the Best Western Plus hotel that we needed to be picked up at the San Pedro Express Water Taxi Port the day before and the morning of pick up. Once we arrived there was no Shuttle to pick us up. We called 6 or 7 times each time giving us a story of lies (they are there, they should be there any minute, look for a white van, and we sent a taxi)......so many stories and lies a white Best Western Plus Van finally showed up 1 hour late; the distance from the hotel to the port was only 12 min away. Just to put it out there there fare was $7.50 US. Once we got to the hotel of course I made a comment............another couple in the lobby shared a similar story of the hotel not being on time. Additionally, a family was being charged for 3 rooms instead of 2. My REAL beef is they charged us $25 dollars to go to the airport. I immediately told ELLIS at the front desk "that is way too much." ELLIS then said it is a 20 to 30 minute drive. LIE LIE LIE, ELLIS lied we were in the taxi for about 10 minutes. Our commute from the water taxi was longer; due to traffic and it cost us $7.50, but to the airport it was $25. I feel like the "WORST WESTERN PLUS" scammed us of $25.00 And ELLIS at the front desk is a LIAR LIAR LIAR. In our visit to Belize I feel we were only scammed once and it was this hotel. This hotel definitely lacks integrity and customer service.

My Wife and I spent 4 night at the BW Biltmore and the staff there is top shelf. Everyone is friendly, smiling and happy. Jennifer at the front desk was wonderful and helpful. Dayan at the Pool Bar was great and made sure we got our free drink tickets. Everyone seem to actually care.

Had a great experience staying for 3 nights . Parking was a bit tight at times but other than that the overall experience was very good . The employees were very cordial , the food was good . Will stay again one day .

As a lover of the BILTMORE Estate in North Carolina USA, I was excited to stay here since it shared the same name. I guess I was hoping that meant I was in for some of the same kinda treats you get when you stay at the original Biltmore, just on a lesser scale. Well I was sadly very disappointed indeed. After placing my silly expectations aside, this hotel is by far the nicest in Belize City, however it is over priced for what you actually get. It was clean thou, and that was super important to us. The Sunday brunch was fairly nice, but again lacking on what was hoped for. The pool is nice, but kinda small. We really did end up liking our experience here in the end thou. The new bar was an added bonus, the gym needs needs lots of work... The front end staff could be more kind and helpful. The resturant/bar staff we a delight and great! Over all pretty good!

Last year when I stayed here I had very little to say that was positive BUT wow has this place improved! Rooms have been remodeled & updated. Dining room is very appealing & has a new modern clean look. The breakfast buffet & omelet station are great. The restaurant menu selections have been improved. The old bar has been redone. Pool is clean & refreshing. The staff at reception were friendly & professional. The manager of the restaurant kept everything running smoothly & put a lot of effort & care into his job. He is very attentive to details & seeing the guests are looked after. The waitresses looked very professional & their attitude was friendly & caring. They were constantly scanning the room for opportunities to better serve their customers. Congratulations to all!

Let me start off by saying that in all the years (7) we have traveled to Belize I think I have left 1 negative review. We are previous resort / restaurant owners and customer service was our life blood for 20 years. When in Belize we always enjoyed quirky places where food and service definitely were not US standards. WE LOVED THAT, we did NOT expect or want US standards, that's why we come to Belize. However, when you are the Best Western in Belize City charging premium prices for lodging, food and drink then you better deliver! We started off by booking online (online site stated check in starting at 2pm) and calling to confirm check in time. We explained we had a very important business meeting at 3:30 and needed to be in our room as early as posible,1-2 pm preferred. We were told no problem. When we arrived a little before 1pm we were told room was unavailable so we were directed to the bar to wait. Over a few Belkin beers we watched at least a dozen couples go to there rooms while we waited. At 2:30 we went to the front desk to inquire and again while waiting in line at the desk 1/2 a dozen couples were directed to their rooms. After talking to front desk again we finally got to our room at 3:00, just enough time to clean up the jungle funk for our meeting. Food / beverage, where do I start? Again, we love the vibe of Belize and the laid back atmosphere, but service was terrible and food was at best mediocre. We were in the bar, yes it was busy but "expletive" we watched tables wait 40 minutes for someone to take their order, people standing at the bar trying to get a drink walked out frustrated because NO ONE was taking care of customers. If I owned this business I would have flipped out. Not only was it incredibly poor service but they lost a ton of revenue! We got one drink and sat with empty glasses for 30 minutes, I did not complain because other tables nearby waited over 40 minutes with no drinks. This was not an isolated event but happened multiple times. Dinner at the restaurant was a joke. Premium prices for terrible service & mediocre food. Food brought and left with no silverware, literally a cup and 1/2 of romaine lettuce in a Ceaser costing $ 25.00 BZ, yes I know lettuce is expensive but come on! 2 small Crab cakes a 1/4 of an inch thick with no discernable crab. Trying to get a server to get another drink or a check was a complete joke, confusion reined supreme. The list goes on and I am getting mad all over again. I tried to talk to food & beverage manager but restaurant was very busy and I could see the stress on her face. I told her to take care of her customers (priority #1) and I would try to see her later. Unfortunately we never connected. We literally have had MUCH better food & service at dive bars form Caye Caulker to PG for a LOT less money! The one thing we noticed was the remodeling, the place looks nice and pool area was great. However, when your food & service do not match appearances it really does not matter. So from a tourist point of view it was very disappointing. From someone with experience in the business the blame falls directly on the managers! We know from experience that every restaurant can have a bad day, it happens. This however appeared to be a lack of training and procedures for staff to follow. A training program should be in place for a staff. If you have a program in place throw it out and start again. Shame on you for placing your staff in an impossible position. We have stayed here at least 3 times, will we stay again?, maybe. I would be curious to see if improvement was made.

My check in was easy and the room is exactly how it looks in the picture the junior suite is great for a long stay with the mini kitchen it allows me to save money and relax on these rainy days {it has been quite rainy as expected}. But with efficient WiFi and plenty of cable channels to choose from I am enjoying my stay... anything's is better then freezing cold weather. I also have my own car so it's easy to get around and tour and live like a local. The food here is good and the staff has been very nice and friendly,my room has been cleaned appropriately and efficiently. So far I have no problems or complaints

We felt safe at all times but the hotel was just so-so. 1. Food, not bad but not great either. No one got sick so that was a plus. Service was slow but they were friendly. 2. Location...not so good. Had to take a taxi everywhere. Stay in Belize City or on one of the islands if you want to be closer to restaurants and the water taxi. 3. Room...clean and basic. A.C. struggled in humidity and dripped condensation on floor but kept it cool enough to sleep. 4. Maid service...starts at 7am. They stand outside your room and roll their carts. They are talking and sometimes yelling...very annoying. Basically, this place is so-so. It is clean and safe.

My wife and I were met at the airport by Blass, who provided a very friendly welcome - and first impression of Belize. The hotel was great - had drinks by the pool - and the air conditioning was awesome in the room, too. We would definitely return to this hotel and will use it as our home-base hotel for arriving and departing flights when we return to Belize again on holidays. Thanks for the great experience!

The hotel is approx. 15 minutes drive from city center. This meams when ever you want to do something (lunch, dinner, tourism take bus or water taxi) you have to take hotel shuttle or a cab. It is not cheap. My room was okay. Showers, TV, furniture all okay. Very clean. No minibar? I hear from other guest that they have a minibar. Not here. The grounds, the pool, the outside in inside dining- breakfast area beautiful. Now the services: My room (and my friends room) was not done by 4pm. Unacceptable. After dinner I ordered Crepe Suzette. For those of you not knowing what it is; A very thin pancake made out water and flour, topped with a little orange, Grand Marnier and Cognac. I do it often at home. The waitress came back saying they run out of ingredients to do the Crepe Suzette....? I explained that this is not possible, send her back to the kitchen. A while later she came back saying, that the cook has to prepare everything from scratch and he did not want to make us wait so long...? I explained that it takes not even 10 min. to make that Crepe from scratch. I asked her to see the cook. She disappeared, the cook seemed to be not existent, Never came. While we were leaving the Restaurant the Manager came, I explained, she said if I wanted it could be prepared quickly (oh yes???). Thanks, no. No more appetite for Crepe Suzette. At the bar; I had a drink (never had it before) the first night, did not like it to much. Second night I thought I try another one I know, order a Pin Colada. Not liking it again. I inquired at the bar, it seemed that the drink had no alcohol. Response; They can only out in once otherwise the have to pay taxes? Now I definitely felt cheeted. The next day I told everything to the receptionist. She was flabbergasted. The lady in charge came to see me, apologised, agreeing that this was indeed unacceptable. They offered a free breakfast. I declined. We got a free ride to the city. We appreciate that. The staff needs to be trained that delivering services is not optional and when in the mood to. And that you don't tell white lies to your guest. I use Best Western quote often in the US, most of the time more than happy.

For this business with a day of pleasure trip I chose my "Home". It improves a little bit with each trip. This time I noticed the new rooms are finished and the wifi was strong. My room was clean and the staff was always friendly. Good to see so many faces there time after time. Little turnover means good management.

We've been to Belize a couple times and I can't say much for most of the places we'd stayed previously. This place looked to be on the new side so we tried it. Really delightful. Nice comfortable rooms, clean and cozy, new fresh bedding, comfortable beds. Amenities like shampoo and conditioner. The included am breakfast was delicious. PM they had good cookies.

This hotel has exceeded my expectation. My daughter traveled to Belize getting sick just before we got on our plane in Washington DC. It was a horrible day of travel. She had a fever. She is 17 so she handled it the best she could. We kept her on Ibuprofen-just so she could get through the plane ride. As a mother I was very worried to travel outside of the United States with a sick child. But we had a week and a half trip planned and my husband reassured me it would work out. We got to the hotel. On the way there our taxi driver said we would be safe to walk to the local grocery store from our hotel. It was an easy walk. At the grocery store I asked about a doctor. There was this green house they told us to visit, they were closed by the time we got there. My daughter was feeling ok-we thought we could all do the excursion we planned on Friday. But my daughter got worse during the night. My husband talked to the front desk-they called a doctor to come to the hotel to see my daughter in our room. My husband and son went on the excursion, but he did not want me to travel to the green house by myself to go to the doctor. But the hotel took care of everything. The doctor was great. He even came back at the end of his work day to check on my daughter to see how she was doing. He ordered her an antibiotic which as also delivered to the hotel. The doctor cost us $50 US dollars. This was better and cheaper care than we have ever had in US. The hotel also made my daughter checked soup-even though it was not on the menu that day. I do not have enough good things to say about this hotel. It was so reassuring to be taken care of when outside of the country. This story could have gone a different direction, but so thankful that God worked out all the details for our family. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond for my family. This is a surprisingly good place to stay. We stayed here for two nights, before and after a trip to one of the islands. The rooms are fairly basic, but well equipped, quiet and comfortable. The hot water control for the showers takes a bit of getting used to. The biggest surprise was the quality of food in the restaurant. Helpings are generous. The fresh catch was a fabulous grilled whole snapper, complete with bones and head. It was presented on a large platter adorned with limes - and was absolutely fabulous. Super fresh and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, so consider sharing. Wait staff was fabulous - particular mention to Kimberley at breakfast. The breakfast omelette station is really good which is included in the excellent buffet. The poolside bar was undergoing some construction while we were there so a bit noisy. Josephine the bartender makes a great Margarita, and the local beer is excellent. Try the stout. Fortunately, the signs banning food and drink around the pool are ignored. This is a great place to stay close to the airport. The main drawback is that it is a bit of a trick into town. Otherwise a great place to stay.

After two weeks in Belize we needed an overnight spot. It's about 11km from Municipal and International airports. We had a great dinner in the restaurant (ask for grilled fish of the day) and out in the morning. Breakfast started too late in the morning for us, but there was coffee in the lobby. Ice Machine spewed out cubes all night long which was a bit loud, and there's a choir of barking dogs nearby. Staff were friendly in helping me get on wifi and service was prompt.

We had the good fortune to meet general manager Ted at a reception at the outdoor lounge. He is passionate about his job and this hotel, and is doing a great job spreading his passion to the staff. This Best Western is much nicer than the typical Best Western in the US. Lovely tile floor in rooms, updated furniture and nice linens. Nice pool area. The air conditioning in this hotel is really good. The built in AC units are newer and well maintained. GM Ted understands how important air conditioning is to Americans and does a great job of conveying that to his staff. I personally do not love AC but was glad to have it during our Dec. 2017 stay at this Best Western because it was hot and humid. We stayed in another hotel in Belize without AC- didn't sleep so well that night due to high humidity. We did not eat at the restaurant at this hotel. Jennifer at front desk, lady in gift shop and housekeeping all very competent and personable. Great location- close to airport and downtown. They have a shuttle that will drive you for a few dollars. 2 free water bottles in room each day.

Stayed at the Biltmore after an 8-day tour of Maya temples and Half-moon Caye snorkel/kayak adventure. The hotel seemed cleaner than when we visited 6 years ago. The restaurant qualityhas definitely improved. Front desk was extremely helpful, laundry was handled efficiently and on time (although a bit pricey). We think this hotel is a far better value than the fancier Ramada by the waterfront,

best western very friendly staff - from front desk, gift shop, housekeeping, restaurant, shuttle service & bar, everyone was all smiles & ready to assist. plenty of parking which is nice to have in belize city. made a great home base for seeing belize. grounds were kept beautiful, staff was sweeping the patios & cleaning the pools early in the morning. room had safe to keep belongings. recommend the cajun porkchops the only improvement i can recommend is higher water pressure in the shower.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel around Christmas. The room is clean and quiet. Pool is big and clean. Onsite restaurant services breakfast and lunch buffets, and order by manual dinner. Food was delicious and the staff was friendly and professional. We loved it and will consider to book again in the future.

I had a very good time in one week staying in this nice hotel.The receptionist Jennifer was informative and friendly. Room had many facilities; TV,air condition,coffee maker,safety box,refrigerator,hair dryer,and iron and was very clean.The lobby was very delightful with computer accessing to the internet and also provided 24/7 fresh coffee and pastries. The gift shop Ms. Maria helped me to plan some tours. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor area and provided a variety food and fruit buffet for breakfast and lunch with nice staff. Do not miss sir-lion steak. There are some outer clean and beautiful planted places. There is a bar beside the pool area.

We were woken at 6:15am by staff in the ice machine, the safe was broken, you have to pay for water, they have no laundry facilities, they do not buy back after $140.00 at the bar. You have to pay for the airport shuttle.

The good: The pool is nice, big and clean. The pool area has a large sitting area. My daughter loved her cinnamon french toast. The check in was quick. The bad: I agree the rooms are just ok, not worth price of one seven teen. The restaurant takes for ever to bring your food.

Marcela at front desk was warm and welcoming-even remembered me upon my return visit a week later. Grounds are pretty, gym pretty good size for hotel lots of cardio equipment. Conference rooms appeared to be booked on the two weekends I was there. One evening very loud music ran quite late- thank you to Marcela for the room away from the festivities:). Room was okay and clean. Could use a touch up ( missing drawer pulls/shower grout refresh).... overall nice stay with pleasant staff.

This Best Western Hotel is a great place to stay when I have business in Belize City. It is convenient to both the international and the municipal airports. The hotel restaurant is quite good (I recommend the Serre Soup for dinner) with a nice selection of wine. It was too cold to use the pool while I was there, but it looks inviting. The fitness facility is one of the best equipped I have seen at any hotel.

The room and pool were the only good thing about the place. Food was horrendous, service was just as bad. Wait time for a meal was forever, when it did come it was cold and tasteless. Waitstaff is literally clueless and very inattentive.

Expensive, not worth the price. The food was expensive and poor. There was no porter service although my wife uses a cane. The shower tub did not drain and the shower had lots of mold, also the bathroom floor was in bad condition. The hair dryer did not work. The pillows were half size. Their shuttle charges $25 US for the 10-minute ride to the airport.

Ok, hotel on initial view is clean, staff are laid back and friendly as you would expect in Belize. Room was a double and comfy, decent tv, coffee on tap, no complaints on that front. However, the food menu is bizarre. And suspect the chef doesn't taste or inspect food going out. Breakfast every morning was a farce. Long waiting times, for mediocre helping, and apparently the English breakfast is a continental one. Yuk. Anyway the only safe choice on the menu was eggs and toast, everything else seems to be covered in sugar or some horrid jam concoctions?? Don't expect proper milk as everything is either condensed or uht, understandable in the climate but surely fridge lorries exist here?? If your room is anywhere near the pool don't plan an early night, you can be kept awake by lots in the pool at any hour of the am on return from the pub. Or maybe a function is being held like a cocktail party u had no intentions of joining lol. Or perhaps steel drum bands are your thing? Practice night is Tuesday as I recall, loved the pink panther at 11ish. Not. For what it is its food is extortion, car parking is inadequate, food is slow and nothing like the standards you would expect at home. It's saving grace are the staff who try their best under poor management conditions. The old saying you get what you pay for is untrue of this hotel.

The Hotel has a pool and a very good restaurant. It was clean and the staff was very attentive. Unfortunately the street is under construction what makes very difficult to walk around. It's near the International Airport and have a complementary shuttle.

I am here for three nights and am finishing my stay. The staff is very nice if not totally laid back, and my room is very basic if not shabby. Think $10 pink lamps and blue walls with white chips in the paint. Food at the restaurant isn't that good and the service is extremely slow. The day I arrived I ordered a soda with my lunch twice and it never arrived. At breakfast the next day, I made sure that I got a cup of coffee, but they use canned mik. My Thanksgiving dinner was better and they were more attentive. Anyway, not all of Belize is like this.. I was at the Radisson just before coming here, and it was a completely different experience.

Nice room, comfortable, bed was a bit too soft for my taste. Some staff were fabulous, others average. Breakfast was good, not great. Dinner was good. It rained the entire time so I didn't try the pool. Bar drink was good.

Great place to stay! 4th trip to Belize this year and 4th time staying at this hotel. No complaints at all! Each morning they dust the outside wooden railings and sweep/clean the pool!! That says alot. You can also hire the Shuttle out for trips to some of the outer districts.

Took the family to what would have been an otherwise tasteful sunday brunch at the Biltmore. The food was terrible, the rice was not cooked well as it has a crunch to it when chewed upon. Over the past years we have enjoyed our sundays at the Biltmore. But as of recent we will be eating elsewhere.

It was very hot and humid when we visited, so having a modern hotel with good air conditioning was important. In addition, there was really nowhere close to go for breakfast, so we ate there and it was always good. The menu was varied enough to eat there 5 days in a row and not get tired of it. (Try the Fry Jack - yummy) We also ate dinner there and it was always good. The room was large and clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The downside is that the hotel is a little isolated but you really need a car in Belize City anyway.

Room was very comfortable... WIFI was a tiny bit slow... Hot water was an issue in the morning but overall, the experience was fantastic! Would definitely do this again and recommend others to their hotel.

Better than the Radisson by far!!! Excellent services!!! Clean! Great bar, food!!! 10 min from the airport! Car rental in the front hotel! Nice pizza place front hotel! Staff was great! I recommended to everybody no matter if is a business or vacation trip!!!

I stayed for one night due to work and it was a good option for what you can find in Belize city, the rooms are very clean and spacious, hot water, cable TV and food AC, parking, safe and nice. Will definitely recommend for staying in Belize city.

The Best Western Pus Biltmore Plaza is a good hotel for business, facilities are clean and adequate, there are conference rooms and It has a very well equipped gym, a SPA, a nice pool, a bar with nice cocktails and the restaurant has very good food, although coffee could be better and service is a bit slow. Every room as A.C. which is great, and the beds are quite comfortable. WiFi is little slow particularly at nights and my TV had problems with the image (it kept freezing). There are a lot of channels on the TV from many parts of the world which is interesting. Service at the front desk was excellent, they are very helpful and all the hotel personnel is really nice. My least favorite attribute of the hotel is its location, it is not near the city center so there is not much that can be done around it. The only way to get to the city centre is by taxi (around $15 BZ one way) or by bus (not recommended). Overall my experience was very good, and I would recommend it if you have an event in the hotel, or if you are staying just for a few nights.

Hotel, restaurant, conference hall, very well kept, clean and modern establishment. Have had the opportunity to attend various congress here and it has always been a positive experience. Keep up the good work and quality.

I accompanied my spouse on a business trip to Belize City and we decided to just stay in the same hotel over the weekends. This meant we spent 10 nights there. For a business hotel, this place has all the amenities - shuttle to the airport, long hours in the gift shop, breakfast buffet, wifi, good laundry service, pool and bar. As a vacation hotel in Belize City, it is a bit far from everything. There are only 2 restaurants nearby and they are hard to get to at the moment due to the street construction. You have to take a taxi or the shuttle to get to an ATM or grocery store. You aren't near any attractions. They are upgrading the place, which I appreciate, because the types of things they are doing (new flooring, new bar at the pool) are what you need in order to stay current. However, if you are going to be in your room during the day, be sure to ask to be away from the construction. (We were offered a different room after I mentioned it to the desk).

Joined my husband on his business trip he stayed 4 nights, I stayed for 2 nights. Hotel rooms 2 star quality. Beds okay. Amenities basic. Decor out dated. Tiled floors. The food was okay. I recommend the blacked snapper with rice and beans and steamed veggies for dinner. Breakfast there's a buffet. Lunch there's a buffet as well. If you are in a hurry don't eat in the restaurant; the staff is friendly but SUPER SLOW! They bring over the trip advisor survey to your table after the meal smart way to get higher ratings!..wish it asked about the speed of service. We rented a car but if you are staying here, I recommend you DO NOT. Parking is HORRIBLE! there was a group scheduled to meet at the hotel so security blocked off about 10 parking spots and asked us to park in back which was an unattended ALLEY!! If felt unsafe so we waited for a guest to leave so we could get their spot. The water pressure is extremely low so you have to hold the lever down to flush.. so you know the plunger was the next request! Urrrh. To top it off I saw something in the floor that looked strange which after turning on the light was a dried up dead baby lizard!!! Yikes gross! My husband almost picked it up thinking it was lint or something. Warning open atrium so don't stay on the first floor space under door! Lizard city! Plan to come back to Belize and stay on the south side with the beach! Not much on this side there's a Mayan ruins and a local beach but you can't get in the water. Disappointing.

We always stay here when we're in Belize City. It's the nicest hotel in the city and has 24-hour secured parking. The rooms were recently remodeled and the hotel has a beautiful courtyard area with a swimming pool and bar. The restaurant food is pretty good and we appreciate the room service!

Back again, lost track of number of visits. As always improvements are being made during each trip. The gym has been slightly expanded. They were doing construction by the bar. It is now a Best Western plus. No complaints. Mr.Tejada is doing a great job. The Wifi is strongly improved over previous visits. No buffering or lost signals.

Room was decent for the area , however it wasn't comfortable. The bathrooms were dirty . The shower looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The bathroom stayed humid the entire night even though we had the ac blasting. The locks on the room were not strong enough and kind of loose and wobbly . The bed was comfortable except for the fact that I woke up with bed bug bites and we also found dead bugs on the bed when we arrived . We ordered 2 Belikin lights and they gave us 2 originals. We ordered pineapple on our pizza and it didn't come with any pineapple. We only ate 2 slices of the whole pizza.The wings were actually good but we both had diarrhea a few hours after eating .

Based on what I read prior to my trip, I did not want to spend any time in Belize City. But with a 7:45am departure flight, I felt that we had no other viable option so I researched hotel options and travel forum input on Trip Advisor. Like many, I was a little freaked out about all the stories of crime, gangs, etc., so I made plans with some trepidation. My family flew into Belize City a week earlier on a red eye, and then we waited an hour in the airport before flying out again on a Tropic Air flight south to Hopkins. I was torn between the Best Western Biltmore and the Ramada, based upon reviews, but ultimately I decided to book at the Best Western since it was closer to the airport and seemed slightly better from reviews I read. That said, it is a very simple, basic hotel (motel?). It was FINE. Not bad, not great but it served our needs. After having spend 4 wonderful days on the beach in Hopkins and 4 days in the jungle in the Cayo district, spending our last night in country at the Best Western felt like a bit of a let down (but necessary due to our departure). I never saw the Ramada or any other hotels so i can't share an opinion about them. We were arriving by van from Cayo and were dropped off around 5:30pm. Check in was easy and friendly. The woman working at the front desk was helpful and explained options for transportation to the airport, wifi logins, and apologized for construction underway around the pool and near our room. I had booked the room and paid ahead of time via trip advisor, and there were no issues concerning payments, etc. Our room was as described, with 2 queen beds and working air conditioning. Our expectations were very low and all I can say is that the room was fine. The room was relatively dark and fairly well worn, but the bathroom was fine, towels were provided, there was a working safe, etc. The pool bar area was undergoing construction but it was open for business and there were about 10 people relaxing around the pool. My son and I swam for about 45 minutes before dinner and I had a few drinks from the bar. The staff there was very friendly. We ate dinner at the restaurant on the property and it was fine. The menu is pretty extensive so there's something for everyone...from pasta to lobster. Many surprising random dishes I didn't expect to see in Belize. We ended up ordering a few pizzas and a pasta dish, all were pretty good, although unnecessarily expensive for what they were and where we were. Ordering and service were slow but out waitress was friendly and apologized and delivered whatever we asked for. Construction around the pool stopped as it got dark, so noise wasn't an issue at all. The 2 queen beds were soft but pretty comfortable. My biggest complaint about our stay was the condition of the sheets and the bed. We are easy going seasoned travelers, but multiple stains on the sheets made us wonder if they had even been cleaned. We slept fine. The next day I did notice multiple small red bite marks on my feet, ankles and legs (they weren't there before), but I cannot be sure where they came from...the bed, eating outside? I'm suspicious though that it was bugs in the room. Departure went smoothly the next morning. No issues at checkout. The shuttle van arrived about 15 minutes late and was too small to fit all the groups heading to the airport at the same time, so they had to retrieve a larger van, which took another 5-10 min. We all barely fit but the ride to the airport is short and we still arrived with plenty of time. In the future, I'd prefer to avoid Belize City altogether and come in just in time for a departure flight, but I was subject to the one direct flight per day, so maybe that's not possible. For $197 (USD, including tax), the Best Western has a far higher image of itself than my family and I suspect most people who stay there. It felt safe, which is what we paid for in the long run. As I said, the hotel is FINE, if you find yourself in my same situation, I can recommend it...just manage your expectations.

We stayed here our last 2 nights before flying back home. There aren't many hotel chains (nor are there luxury hotels) to choose from in the city that's close to the airport and this was one of 3 of the higher rated places that was recommended online and by others we asked in Belize. Our first night we were given a room downstairs by the pool and near an ice maker. The room smelled of mosquito spray (I think). What made our night difficult was having the ice maker dump ice every hour of the night or so it seemed. My wife and I woke up constantly. The staff were very accommodating, however, and gave us an upstairs room the following morning. What a difference! We had high ceilings, no smell whatsoever, and there was a bathtub. What impressed me the most about the hotel was the restaurant. Everything was good. I really enjoyed their pork chops. Breakfast was good too. I had the french toast. My wife shared pancakes with our boys.

The pool was a bit unclean because of all the people in it. You're better off leaving and eating somewhere else. The drinks are weak and the restaurant is too expensive. The staff there is extremely happy and helpful.

Hotel is very clean , in a good location . Staff inconsistent with breakfast prices . Some staff friendly & helpful others didn't seem to care . Limited choice on menu I was given at night . Comfortable bed newly decorated room .

Three of us found ourselves in Belize City and hungry after many places close after lunch, so we ventured into the restaurant at the Best Western. We were too late for the buffet which closes at 2:30. But we did have the Serre soup which was excellent. It is a fish soup in coconut milk. We tried to eat outside but there is construction right now and very noisy so we came back in. But the garden would be a lovely spot once the work is done. Service could have been a little more attentive. It was several minutes after we were seated before anyone approached us with menus. The menu did offer a nice selection of appetizers and sandwiches, and main courses. The dining room is noisy, so difficult to have a conversation . It would benefit from some form of sound dampening.

The hotel may be called a Best Western but it has got to be one of the nicest Best Westerns in their chain. Yes it is out of the way but it is near the airport, it is also closer to the countryside if you are using this hotel as a base location for business or to explore the country (e.g. cave tubing, the zoo, ATM). The hotel is set out in a 'U' shape with the central courtyard filled with lovely plants, tropical birds, lizards, the pool and bar. You can eat at the outdoor bar also. Pizzas are good and large. The rooms are basic but mine was clean. The souvenir/hotel shop is very good. Good selection of items at reasonable prices. Note though if you specifically want to buy local rum, the Traveller's Distillery is near by so go there.

Allegedly one of the best hotels in Belize. It's a dump. Rooms are torn up, bathroom was disgusting, and they decided to have a birthday party in the boardroom next to our room...until 11pm. Super helpful with two young kids and an early flight out. Best part of this hotel was the shuttle driver to the airport...should have been for $25.

An OK place to stay near the airport, if one ignores various drawbacks. Not good value for money. Hotel does not provide airport shuttle service but does provide a taxi, which was expensive. Look around for a better deal among hotels,. Almost forgot to say that there is no elevator, as the staff told us cheerfully. So, we are in Belize and should not expect such strange amenities? So why the American prices on room and food and taxi?

Overall it was a good hotel. Pool was nice but a bit on the small size. Rooms were comfortable, but the tap water is not safe to drink or brush with; 1 bottle of filtered water is provided per day and there is also filtered water in the lobby. For a Best Western it would expected the running water to be filtered. Food is more costly than expected for that part of the world, but the dinner meals were large enough to share (i.e., pizza) so that helped with the costs. For the price in Belize city this is properly the best hotel pick.

Pleasant and helpful staff, when we had a problem they were attentive and available. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel is located close to the airport. The restaurant service was good and the food was decent , although the delivery was a little slow because of unexpected large turnout of guests.

Its Belize City not a resort on the Cayes so the high cost of the rooms reflects the fact that there are really only three hotels worthy of consideration in the entire city in my opinion.Basically you would only stay here the night before flying out of the International airport. The A/C in the room stunk of mold and that is unexcusable. It takes minutes to maintain the A/C to prevent theguests from breathing moldy damp air. When you are paying about a hundred dollars more than the room should cost you expect it to a tleast be clean. The one redeaming item of our one day visit was that a large group of police officers were there and the lunch buffet we were allowed to join in on was excellent. Come on management get the rooms cleaned up!

Very nice experience; as usual. Been there 4 times this year already and refuse to stay anywhere else. Good food, clean rooms and what a pool!! Staff is very friendly and eager to help you with anything. A++++

This best western had nice rooms and an even nicer pool. The staff weren't that friendly and it seems like they do not really want to talk to you. They did give us a wifi code for our stay though and that was nice because cell reception can be iffy here. You're not by the beach at all so enjoy the pool! The dinner they gave us were little portions that were flavor less and not filling at all. However, breakfast was a buffet and was very tasteful. When showering make sure you move the shower head so the water hits against the wall because the water kept leaking out of our tub and nearly flooded our bathroom. The beds are really comfortable so you can come here and relax after a long day exploring belize!

My family and I spent several days in Belize City and the southern districts. The days we stayed at BW was very enjoyable. Each staff member in we encountered had a smile and a beautiful depositions. We enjoyed our stay and intend to return in the future and stay at BW. I have /will share our wonderful experience so others will visit and stay at BW

We stayed here for 2 days before going to San Pedro Town. It is a very relaxing place. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are clean and well sized. The desk agents were nice and helpful. The food is good, but is priced high for the quality. There is nothing around the hotel to do, which worked well for us, but may be a sticking point for others. Across the street is a Lebanese Restaurant and down a little further is a grocery store. We came to relax before hitting the island, and this is what we got. I would stay here again, and recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay out of hustle of the busy city. As to customer service: I called to cancel my booking because we were going to be a few people short of our reservation. I was told it was too late to cancel. However, the customer service in the states did everything they could to help. They even had the hotel email me to offer assistance the next day. Because of this, we decided to stay instead of going directly to the island, and I am very glad we did.

We stayed for one night and it's about 20 minutes from the airport. We got a cab for half the price of the hotel shuttle (25 usd as opposed to 50) and had to wait about an hour for our room as we came in early. The hotel was good about providing early check-in (2 hrs prior) and stored our large bag for us. I would STRONGLY suggest you not get a room adjacent to the street (rm 142?-149). Move as far back to the hotel as you can as there's excessive road noise w motorcycles etc. also, near room 149 there is a water pump that will go off every few seconds and it will probably annoy you if you are a light sleeper. Also we were unable to use our toilet and had to go to lobby as we didn't realize the problem till after 9pm and nobody could fix it. So this was not optimal but the hotel went above and beyond w customer service. Manager called me a few minutes after I complained to front desk about overall experience. They provided a comp breakfast and shuttle service to airport. The room was clean, pool was nice, and the staff was very helpful. I would try this hotel again but I would not be anywhere near the street or water pump.

The hotel is nice and clean but not near that you can walk to except for the really good Lebanese restaurant across the street. The hotel provides a shuttle that goes into the center of town but the schedule was not very convenient. The best thing about the hotel is the fact that across the street you can eat really good Lebanese food. Wi-Fi coverage is very good but the maximum download speed is limited by the internet service provider in Belize. This is not the hotel's fault.

Our room was very spacious with upgraded appointments and the floors were sparkling marble, as was the vanity in the bathroom. Very favourable first impression. The dining/bar areas were immaculate, drinks very reasonable and the seafood entrees were superb. I tried their "rainbow snapper with grouper". I have not previously heard of a "rainbow snapper" and theirs with the perfectly matched sauce were divine. I really could not say I have ever stayed at a Best Western that was in the same class!

Our last night in Belize was at the BW Biltmore Plaza. Check in staff not so friendly and helpful. But the ladies working the bar by the pool that day/evening were amazing! Diane and Trish, such funny awesome ladies! The pool and gardens were so nice. The bedrooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a little outdated and no hot water. The lunch we had there was good and all the drinks were reasonably priced! A quick taxi ride from the water taxi dock to here, 5US dollars a person(3 of us). A 15 minute ride from the hotel to the airport, 25US dollars.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful! The first room I stayed in the bathroom was dated and a little scary. I was moved to another room and it was great... This bathroom looked remodeled and I was quite happy! The pool was warm but that should be expected in the Belize heat! The poolside bar was always busy and I really enjoyed the drinks! Room service was okay., I think the serving plate covers should actually cover the plate and maybe the food would have maintained its warmth. Very nice place to stay, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because of early morning wake up from housekeeping...grrr!

Stayed here 28-Mar'17, as it is a very convenient jumping off spot for Island Expeditions departures out to Lighthouse & Half-Moon Caye (55 miles offshore). Room was spacious enough for 4 people, 2nd floor, everything operational in room. Quiet. Pool, supplied pool towels, & attached bar - nice touch in the heat of the day.

We where here last April just for a night. We were heading back from Cancun to Guatemala and always stay at the Biltmore Plaza in Belize City. We where here like 4 to 5 years ago and we saw the hotel dated, so it was a nice surprise to see how the hotel was remodeled. The manager and staff was very helpful and professional. The manager even asked the kitchen to still serve us even though it was past 10 o'clock. I notice that the hotel restaurant was also remodeled and looked great. We ordered Hawaiian pizza and it was great with lots of toppings. Some other members ordered different types of pizza and all were really good. The rooms where big, clean and all where remodeled. They had a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and even complementary bottled water. The Bathroom was big also with the sink outside and tub and toilet on the inside, so I could get ready while my husband took a shower. The bed was very confortable that I wished we could have spent another night here. I did not go to the morning buffet but some people in my family did and said it was very good. There is also a small store with basic necessities and where you could find some souvenirs. There is a pool and outdoor area but we did not use it since we only stayed one night.

Stayed here for 5 nights because of a conference. No sound insulation; I could hear the TV shows from next door room (lucky that was all!). Rooms near the pool susceptible to bar noise and the usual splattering of drunk, loud Americans that want to tell the world how great they are. Beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Floor is very slippery when wet (I fell!). Wifi was lousy in my room (13x). Would not stay here again; pity, because the staff are nice, and the food is quite good.

Room had dirty floors, stained bathroom mat, dirty towel, and dusty coffee maker. Their was also loud construction on our floor and the hot water wasn't working. The restaurant and staff however were outstanding.

I stayed here for a week on a business trip so my review will be focused on business travelers. First, if you will be spending anytime at all working in this hotel, then you had better bring your own internet connection. 80% of the time I couldn't get any connection and the rest of the time I was getting maybe 100kb up/down. Needless to say this place is awful for a business trip. The room itself is fine, as most beach hotel do the room was entirely tiles making it easy to clean up sand. The only problem I have with this is getting out of the shower and stepping into the sink area my foot slipped and if I hadn't had ninja level reflexes and caught the door frame I would have busted my head open. I read reviews prior to staying that said the AC kept going off, this is just a simple button on the remote for auto off. Set it to 13 hours and you should be all set. Even when the temp was 85F outside my room was freezing. Other than the tile floors being slick some other observations: Bed: Fine, I slept well. Desk: Small but adequate with power available Chairs: fine Iron/Board: In Room Water Temp and Power: Fine Toilet: Takes forever to start flushing, you have to press the button (or hold handle I forget what kind) for at least 15 seconds before the water starts going down. Desk Clerks: Very friendly and competent Restaurant (Dinner only): Awful, sat for 20+ minutes with no acknowledgment and finally had to stand up walk over to a server and point to my table. Ordered a burger and a beer, it took 25+ minutes to get my beer and then another 15 to get my burger. When the burger came, even though I had said meat and cheese only it had some kind of mustardy sauce on it that was barely edible. The patties were what Eddie Murphy called "Welfare Burgers", they had green peppers and onions mixed in with some spices. Edible, but not something I would ever order again. I would highly recommend the Sahara Grill for dinner across the street, or if you must eat at the hotel use room service which arrived promptly in 30 minutes the 3 times I used it. The pepperoni pizza was not bad. Every day they gave you 2 small bottles of water for free and 1 coffee. The coffee pot is designed to take these small little pods and they give you these giant bags of coffee. You have to push and fold it to get it in the holder and then it sprays all over the place when making it. I moved the pot to the sink area to make it easier to clean up.

Great rooms, very comfortable and quiet. The pool and poolside bar area are a welcome sight after tours and sightseeing. Great for kids or even just hanging by the pool. Staff was extremely friendly. We stayed the last day in country and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. We spent a week in 3 different hotels ranging from average to amazing and the Biltmore was the perfect place to end our trip. Would definitely stay again. Close to the airport, especially if you have a rental car. Only downside was the breakfast buffet was quite expensive and a bit underwhelming.

I decided to go dutch for my birthday buffet breakfast at the the Biltmore Restaurant.We did not make reservation but the friendly staff accommodated us by quickly setting up a table to accommodate my guests. The room was clean, lighting was clear and bright for a breakfast setting. The food was nicely set up and properly label. Our table was set up by the window overlooking the garden and pool area. The staff was very kind and friendly. The waiters took our drink orders and we got our delicious breakfast which comprised of local and international cuisine. The waiters knew I was there to celebrate my birthday so after we ate our breakfast they came out with 2 slices of desserts for my sister and I since we were both celebrating birthday in the same month.They all sang for us and we sat down as long as we wanted to chit-chat and laugh to our hearts content. I would definately go back to have breakfast there. If you are visiting Belize stop in at the Biltmore Restaurant where you would be treated to a sumptuous Belizean breakfast and Belizean hospitality.

The room I have no complaints about, clean, ac & ceiling fan worked well, in room frig, microwave & coffee maker. Reasonably modern furnishing given it's an older hotel. Tiles in shower stall need replacing. Evening meal was a complete disaster. Waitress took 30 minutes to bring water & take drink orders. We were a table of 6. 30 minutes later several drinks were served but not mine. I politely reminded the waitress. Rather than getting my drink she turned to a group that had just sat down & took their orders & headed to the kitchen. 15 minutes later still no drink so I went to the bar, only about 30' away, got & paid for my drink. 30 minutes later several of the ordered entrees & appetizers arrived at the same time to our table, then I was told what I had ordered was not available. I then ordered wings which she said would be quick & they were, complete with a side of creamy coleslaw which was 'hot'. I don't mean room temperature or slightly warm. I didn't have any desire to get sick at the end of a wonderful vacation so I left the coleslaw & ate the wings. Then we sat & waited & waited. No sign of desert. I gave up, went to the front desk where the manager said my meal would be no charge.

The Best Western Belize Biltmore is okay, just okay. I would recommend it a place to stay one night upon your arrival into the country - then start your adventure and move on. The rooms are clean and bug free, The beds were comfortable. But there is nothing unique or special about the rooms. The pool is nice, but there are not enough lounge chairs for the size of the facility. The restaurant is below average and the service is not very good. Waited about 30 minutes for a cup of coffee after asking 3 people, including the manager. I don't blame the employees, I just don't think they've never been trained in proper customer service - and it definitely shows. We stayed one night and then headed out to Half Moon Key. So, like I said, the hotel is okay, and tolerable for one evening.

I was impressed with the new renovations at the restaurant and pool area. I believe linen has been updated too. I really liked the lunch buffet, decor, new furniture and service. All girls are very nice and attentive. Food was good. Room looks old. There was a leak in the bathroom and walls are cracking. Bed sheets had stains and holes. Cleanliness could be better. Overall is a good hotel for the value. I most liked the staff.

We used the Best Western as a stopover after our week from Ambergris Caye before flying back home the next day. The hotel was a $20US taxi drive from the Ferry Port and a &25 taxi drive to the airport for two people. The hotel is about 6 miles from the airport . Our room was sparkling clean and well appointed with a refrigerator and safe. Yes, the bathtub could stand upgrading but it was also very clean. The pool was wonderful with towels provided. We had a lovely lunch across the street at Sahara's . Overall it is a wonderful place to stay if you need a stopover before or after a flight.

Room and pool were ok, bathroom could have used some upgrading and tv was small and reception poor. 10 " cheese and pepperoni pizza for $24 US was little over the top, especially because I ordered a 16" Supreme. Recommend eating at Sahara Grill restaurant directly across the street.

It is nice seeing the same friendly faces behind the desk each time I stay for a few days.Michele, Marcia, Maria. Always smiling and welcoming. Nice to see the finshed renovations to the courtyard. This trip I caught a bacterial infection while in Guatemala and eating some local food. I was in very bad shape. The desk referred me to the hotel's Doctor, Dr. Aguero. I was in bad shape. She drove me to the blood lab and prescribed Antibiotics and 4 days later I was well enough to get on a plane back to the States. The housekeeper was so kind to check on me twice a day and make sure I had water to stay hydrated. This is not her job, but shows the type of employees at The Best Western Biltmore Plaza. It is miserable being sick alone in a foreign country but the Biltmore made it the best it could be. Plus,a great variety of cable channels made passing the time and healing go by a little quicker. Not your usual TripAdvisor review, but important.

Little did I know that this would be such a great hotel. New renovations (I'm told) mean the central courtyard and dining area are welcoming and very nicely decorated. My room (2nd floor, towards back of hotel) was a true sanctuary. Extremely comfortable and had a great feel to it. Staff were all super friendly. Jorge - the shuttle driver - was a great help.

We left a horrible hotel down the street from the Best Western Biltmore (The Red Hut) and felt like we'd landed in Paradise when we stepped into the Best Western. It was clean, cool, the rooms were large and very clean, and the pool and deck area were wonderful! There's outdoor dining near the pool and the grounds are lovely. This was a much needed retreat and we recharged our batteries and even had a relaxing massage. The food was good and the service was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Although our initial room had a strong odour, we were quickly offered another. The facilities are not high quality but compared to most dwellings around are luxurious. The room was a good size, the beds were very comfortable, but there was inadequate lighting. Servicing of room was variable over the five days, sometimes not as clean, sometimes not all towels were replaced, but overall adequate. Our A/C developed a rattle but was promptly fixed when reported. Breakfast at USD15 was reasonable quality, plenty of choices, varied daily but the best part was the chef on hand to cook your eggs; scrambled, pan fried or omelette. Your own transport is definitely an advantage as the place is not close to the centre but there is a good supermarket/deli nearby. The best feature of the hotel is the staff, friendly and super helpful.

It is not a bad hotel and it's not super awesome either. It's average and serves it's purpose for being close to the airport and having access to Belize City if you are between destinations. The room was clean and breakfast was decent. That's what I expect in a hotel that's a transition between point A & B. The staff is very friendly and the lady at the gift shop is lovely to talk with. No complaints at all. 4 really real, the rating is more like a 3 1/2. It's your average local Caribbean hotel and it served it's purpose for my needs. I would stay here again as a pass through.

My company hosted a business launch and small seminar at the Biltmore. All the staff were very accommodating and professional, but even more so friendly and hospitable. It was extremely easy to come in and feel relaxed while carrying out my activities. The food was well prepared and had good variety, I should have made better use of the pool. Recommendations: - Air fresheners in the rooms - Improved wifi especially as persons are often on business

We traveled to Belize for a conference that was hosted in the Best Western. The rooms are clean with good beds and in the process of being updated. The staff was friendly and the food in the restaurant was good. All I all a safe bet in Belize City.

I stayed at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel during my recent visit to Belize. The hotel is ideally located about 15 minutes from the airport. The members of staff at the front desk and also the restaurant were very polite and resourceful. They went beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was okay. Housekeeping was excellent, as my room was well taken care of on a daily basis. Complimentary water was also placed in the room on a daily basis. My stay at this hotel was very enjoyable.

I was assured before arrival that the hotel had reliable internet. I came to visit family, and had business to take care of as well during my stay. The internet worked the first day I arrived fairly well (not so fast, but it did work). After this it was only accessible while seated in the lobby. Part of my stay was over a weekend, and the office help there could care less about getting the internet up and running for the back part of the hotel. VERY frustrating & costly also!! The rooms were very poorly cleaned each day I was there. I think the floor was not swept the entire time I was there. VERY dirty! And most days the fresh towels were still wet when they were replaced. The had to be hung out to not sour. Now for the positives. Good location on the main road. The staff in the bar & restaurant area were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my time there at the bar by the pool very much. The food in the restaurant was pretty decent. Breakfast buffet was very good & well worth the money. I might stay here on my next visit, but it definitely needs some work first!!

After you pass the threshold and enter the lobby of this hotel, suddenly you are no longer in Belize City. This hotel has a certain charm of old and yet it is modern, the pool bar is excellent, the dining facility is tops with a glorious menu assortment no matter what time of day. And the rooms are all tastefully decorated and very comfortable, whether spending a night before a flight or a much longer respite while sightseeing,

Second business trip to Belize and second stay at the Biltmore. The staff makes you feel like family and goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Teresa and Samantha were always there to greet me with a smile and laughs after long days of work. Front desk staff is top notch and management is extremely attentive and caring. Can't wait to come back and see my Belize family again.

My husband and I came to Belize for a few days on vacation. The hotel is located 15 minutes away from the airport which was great. Upon checking in, we were greeted by the front desk staff who was very friendly and courteous and had a bubbly personality throughout the check-in process. Our room was quite cozy. We stayed in one of their premier rooms on the second floor. Most of our nights we ate at the hotel's restaurant. The ambiance was quite relaxing and the waitress who attended to us was friendly and made sure all our needs were taken care of. The food was excellent; The stuffed chicken is a must try. Our overall stay was quite pleasant and we intend to stay here again upon our next visit. I recommend this place to anyone travelling to Belize.

The Best Western Biltmore Plaza, located just outside Belize City on the way to the international airport, offers a good night's sleep at a reasonable (but not cheap) price. Although we had advance reservations our rooms were not yet available when we arrived, so we went to dinner first. When we returned, all was well.

Great stay!!! I checked in and out 3 times(travelled to other parts of the county)on my vacation with no hassles. Rooms were ready and clean. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. our second check-in was a couple hours before Hurricane Earl hit and they were very well prepared. I am definitely staying at Biltmore when I return to Belize. I highly recommended this hotel.

If you looking a place just for rest, this is the place. No amenities around and quiet in the night. Have good wifi service . Employees are dedicated to their customers. Parking is small. The restaurant.....mmmm not bad but expensive considerate the ambient and food for the price. Have an area near to the pool for activities (pretty nice) ideal for weddings and special occasions with large groups. The rooms are clean and well organized , except for the tv (too small) and the bathroom does not goes with the rest of the room, needs a restoration but works fine, and the water is NOT DRINKABLE . For a few days away from the jungle is good.

The hotel is actually quite nice. The restaurant and pool are quite cool additions. Air conditioning is awesome. I showed up after the hurricane so the wifi and the ice machine were out which sucked. It took 3 hours to get our safe unlocked so we could store our passports too. The biggest complaints is the phone call scam. Due to the hurricane all the scheduled trips were cancelled so I made a lot of local calls in Belize to find out what was open. I ended up with a 70 American dollar phone bill after 3 days because they charged every phone call as long distance and every phone call that just rang 4 times (even if it didn't contact anyone) was charged 3 - 4 belizian dollars. I was in shock. Totally should have been warned.

The location was close to the airport and we picked it as we had an early morning flight the next day. The bathrooms did not look very clean. There were rusty fixtures. Despite using a lot of insect repellent we woke up covered in bug bites.

In my travels to return home to Placencia, Belize I found myself stranded in Belize City do to flight cancelations because of a fast approaching hurricane "Earl" I found my way to the Best Western Biltmore in hopes of getting a room to ride the storm out. The staff there were very professional and the accommodations were excellent! This staff stayed during the storm to help ensure everyone possible was taken care of to the best of their abilities! A huge "Thank You" goes out to the GM Ted Tejada and his front desk staff, Yvette and Maria and others not mentioned for their dedication in ensuring a comfortable stay in less than ideal weather conditions! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Belize City and their dinning room served up really excellent food even after the storm had passed and we were on generators only! This is a first class crew with first class amenities! Thanks again for an outstanding experience!!

Pros: the hotel is close to the airport, clean, and has a decent pool. There is a Lebanese restaurant across the street that was quite good. Cons: sadly the food was bland and overpriced (we order nachos which are practically fool proof but the chips were stale and meat not tasty), the pool bar played loud music/karaoke for a nearly empty bar, the restaurant was very bright and fluorescent (no ambience) and the bathroom was dated and dingy. If it is your last night and you have an early flight or you arrive late and don't have time to go to the Cayes, this is a fine place to pass through. If you are staying for more than a night, it wouldn't be a satisfactory visit to a country that has some amazing places to stay out of the city.

Don't expect to get checked into your room early. We didn't get our room until about 5pm after a two hour wait. The rooms are comfortable. We did wake up in the middle of the night to discover our room was flooded. Never could figure out why. Thankfully they had one room available and we made the move. The swimming pool is nice.

We booked into the Biltmore after a horrible experience at Casa Dena. The staff at the Biltmore were very professional, service oriented and addressed any concerns we had immediately and professionally. Would certainly stay here again.

I had a night to kill before I met my partner and this was the best place that I could have stayed. As soon as I got to the bar, Sammy and the bar crew along with the Belikin folks (there for an employee party) were super warm and welcoming. The pool/ bar is great and the breakfast is awesome as well. The City isn't a great attraction but if you are going to stay there on your journey, I heartily recommend the Best Western. The drivers were also incredibly kind and accommodating. Happy travels!!

Our room was very nice and clean and stayed at a pretty comfortable temperature. The beds were the most comfortable that we slept in our entire time in Belize. The bathroom was a little bit more rough looking, but it still looked clean. The staff was helpful and got us a cab to the airport the next morning. However, we thought there was a free shuttle based off of their website and were disappointed when we found out it cost $25 US to get to the airport. The restaurant in the hotel is overpriced especially for the quality and the taste of the food so if you have a way to safely get around Belize City I would recommend finding another place to dine.

The room was clean and large, the a/c worked wonderfully, and it's within walking distance of a grocery store. The man that ran many of their taxis (unfortunately I can't remember his name, but I think it may have started with a 'J') was incredibly helpful and had great prices. Finally -- I managed to leave my iPad in the sheets on accident. When I called back a week later, it was there--and they graciously sent the taxi driver to the airport with it. Thank you Sharifa (I think that's the name left on the lost and found note) for your care in finding it and turning it in! Truly great staff and a great hotel.

Check in was easy and fast, front desk was friendly. Rooms was comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable had a great rest. They serve buffet breakfast and lunch and had many options and different options daily... must try their stew veggies served on breakfast.

The proximity to the Belize Airport is good. The room was a nice size and there is a restaurant on premise. The food is nothing exciting but it is fine for a stop over before a flight. The gym is clean and has a few different options for a workout. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a shuttle which is convenient. My only concern was the bathroom had mold in the shower. the rest of the room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom needs to be gutted. the grounds are manicured with a pool.

The room was lovely, cool and spacious, bathroom area looked like it had seen better days, grouting missing, shower head needing a descale but the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Food slightly over priced for what you get, would be better to eat out. Evening staff helpful and friendly, day staff blunt and unsympathetic to issues. Maintenance work was happening and they turned off the water and electric for safety but didn't tell anyone nor was the day staff helpful when I complained. No signs had been put up to let us know and the water & electric was off for over 20 hrs yet still no compensation or apologies. If you are intending on staying in Belize go to another hotel

The accommodations were very nice, very clean, and comfortable. The staff were all helpful and courteous. Our only complaint is that the Wi-Fi was weak and somewhat slow in the rooms. The restaurant was very nice with great service. A buffet was offered for breakfast,which was complementary, and lunch. There was a nice variety of foods and the food was tasty.

We were very tired and hot when we arrived . It was a super place to stay . The hotel was super clean updated and the food was fine . The staff were efficient and kept us informed about our travel. I would reccomend this hotel if you need a place outside of downtown Belize City .

I came here for a family birthday celebration and my first visit to Belize. From the check in to check out our time here was great, Mariela was able to easily combine my reservation and made it seamless.. I absolutely loved the service we received from Kimberly in the dinning room. She was beyond exceptional. Kimberly's customer service made our stay even that more delightful. Our room was clean and spacious. The grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately I did get a chance to get in the pool but it looked very well kept. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because during our family birthday party the servers looked so angry. Not one of them were smiling. I felt like I was imposing on them when asking for something at the buffet. Other than than I would definitely come back and recommend it to my other family members.

I came here for a solo adventure and I found this booking through TripAdvisor. I would say it was decent but not my first choice for future options. Employees: The employees of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Having a great staff makes an amazing difference. Transportation: They had a shuttle service that basically would take me anywhere I wanted in Belize. The staff even arranged for me my shuttle to and from the airport. I do believe some of the prices I received for transportation was a little outrageous though. Amenities: The pool was nice and there was a green area in the back. I didn't get a chance to make it to the workout room to give a review on that but there is one. There is a restaurant and bar on site as well. The restaurant didn't have the best food and there were little flies flying all over it. Hotel Room: There were gaps in the doors which bugs could get through. There was cable in the room which was good for watching tv. The wifi didn't work well in the hotel room. The lighting was poor but the air conditioning was good. There was a refrigerator in the room (not all rooms have one) but it didn't work. There were a few little flies in my room. The maid also was slow on cleaning the rooms. I went on an all day tour and sat by the pool. I came back to the room to get into the shower just to see the maid just then cleaning my room. I was so frustrated with that as I all I wanted was to take a shower and lay down.

I am here for business. This is my first night in the hotel and I have received some indication of customer service. Front desk confirmed availability of standard amenities such as room service. During dinner away from my family, I work and I Skype with the heart of my heart. Restaurant is changing menus. None are available in the rooms. No one cares. The only solution offered is to come to the restaurant. And $40 for a 10" pizza? Who pays that? This hotel claims four stars. On its best day it is only a 3.

The Pros: Location to airport is convenient. The pool area and gardens are clean and well kept. The staff is pretty friendly (not as friendly as we've experienced in other parts of Belize but nice enough.) They arrange a shuttle to the water taxis for Caye adventures and shuttles to the airport. Rooms were clean and served their purpose to have a place to sleep for the night. The AC and Wifi worked well! The Cons: Rooms seemed to be a bit outdated. Our room door had a gap at the top allowing for warm air to enter the room. The food at the onsite restaurant was average at best. Music in the pool area was a bit loud and required us to move beach chairs to get away from it :) Overall it served it purpose as a place to stay before catching an early flight but I definitely wouldn't make this hotel a place to stay for multiple days in a row. My experience with Best Western in other countries has been exceptional. This one just didn't quite live up to the standards set forth by the others.

Not your typical Best Western, in that its designed to be a resort, but its more like a compound with a bar, pool and a restaurant. With that being said, it will foot the bill for having a decent place to use as a base to explore Belize. The rooms were clean, and the grounds were in great shape, but it still felt like a beach hotel as opposed to a resort hotel. Its a little on the expensive side for food and drink, but that's typical of any American hotel in a Caribbean country.

The service and food were good, perhaps a little over priced. Service from the food and other staff was pleasantly friendly and efficient. The Site and even the room service guide discusses wired Internet capability which is no longer available. The WiFi access was useless. A password was provided, implying secure access. I found no way to use it. One of the active WiFi channels was labeled BW-secure. When asked why the password did not work there we were told the PW only applied to the BW public site, there was no way to use the PW with the site. The system was of such low capacity it was useless most of the time, taking serveral minutes to respond to simple logons. Because the policy concerning Internet access seems to be take what we offer, it should be all you need. We will not be staying there again.

I cannot believe the noise in this place! I'm wide awake, laying in bed, listening to blasting ridiculous music from somewhere out front if this hotel!!! I'm absolutely beat and there's no way I'm gonna sleep tonight! I guess Friday night is the party night, I wish I was someplace else! We're here again tomorrow night with an early flight on Sunday so I'm asking the front desk for a different room for tomorrow night or I'm outta here...! Ps the music they're playing sucks! I'm so mad!!!!!

Overall good hotel, rooms clean and large. Nice layout of rooms with friendly staff. Continental breakfast choice was good with hot and cold selection. Close to hotel also so good location when travelling

Positives: Overall the food was excellent, the staff overall very helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. Negatives: Follow through is poor. Our safe wasn't working, the staff came and left "have to get a part" and never returned for our entire weeks stay. Asked for a refrigerator for our room (they were in the other team member's rooms) staff said of course, and never showed up. The overall management for a big group was really average. I feel that they are unable to manage large groups of people. Service for breakfast was so slow and poor. In the middle of our week, they figured out it was best to serve our group outside and placed the poor omelette lady in the open with two burners, rather than stuck by the kitchen door all the way in the back, in the dark and sweating??!! At the end of our stay another enormous group of 150 missionaries came and the service for breakfast plummeted....I think they are over reaching and their service and planning is unable to keep up. WIFI IN ROOMS ARE NON EXISTENT AND THE PASSWORDS CHANGE ALMOST DAILY???

Great Food, drinks, and rooms very clean, and comfortable. Quiet, and very peaceful. All staff very friendly and extremely accommodating. Shuttle service excellent - friendly driver, and a very clean shuttle bus.

We stayed at the Biltmore as part of a large student group. We arrived especially early on our check-in day and the staff went above and beyond to get our very tired group into rooms ASAP. The rooms are clean and big. The A/C worked great. The beds are incredibly comfortable! The grounds are very well maintained, and the pool was clean. The fitness center was impressive with everything you could want for a great workout. If I ever get back to Belize City- I would definitely stay here again.

Had bugs in the room, overpriced. Was not happy with the room at all. Killed upwards of 20 bugs in just the 12 hours in the room. Would not recommend at all. Stayed elsewhere another night for 1/3the cost and it was MUCH cleaner.

We stayed there the night before an early morning flight back to the US. Hotel was nice. The pool was relaxing and the giftshop has lots of necessities and souvenirs for sale. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty in the evening, but generally good. Our room had a microwave but no refrigerator.

I figure this is my 5th or 6th visit. I have stopped counting. Friendly staff, very clean rooms. Nice to see the gym has been upgraded. Only complaints were power went out a few times during trip. Mostly for a few minutes, one time for a few hours. I disagree that it is overpriced. It is quite fair as they are always improving the property. This trip they also turned some wasted space into a dining deck and cleared up space to walk to the ground level rooms. Only complaint was room was a bit moldy. A/C need to be cleaned to solve that. I wish my bed in Florida was as comfortable.

The accommodations were very clean and organized. The hotel was undergoing many improvements. Room amenities were very welcomed for the length of my stay. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially with my short notice bookings. The food was very good at the restaurant and there were a couple of other places to eat within a short walk/drive. I will be staying here again later in the year.
