    « <bari »

Had a relaxing stay. Close to the airport. Very friendly staff. Close to the beach.Staff were very helpful and had suggestions for short trips in the area. Very nice buffet breakfast in the rooftop restaraunt.

« Very convinient hotel for a star touring in Puglia »

This hotel is 8 km from Bari airport. I afraided that it will be nosy because of aircrafts, but it was very quiet. The hotel has a free parking. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. Very convinient location for day tours to explore Puglia. It is a wonderfull solution to avoid the traffic of the big city (Bari). The staff was very friendly and provide us with everything we asked for. The breakfast was excellent and it is served at the beautiful terrace with a fantastic sea view.

« Outdated rooms but good breakfast »

We booked this hotel because its close to airport. 10 minutes by car. The interior of this hotel is quite old style, same as for the rooms. Really disappointed by the bad noise isolation, waked up many times in the night but any noise from the upstairs, downstairs and corridor. The breakfast is instead quite good, aclot of different choices and the waiters are nice.

    « Pretty good place »

We stayed here and everything was great. Staff provided what we asked for, provided directions, restaurant suggestions, etc. Worked out great. There is free parking, a market close by and a couple of nice restaurants in walking distance.

« awful staying, again unfortunately, but last one i assure »

poor service but worst for the second time i have been treated rudely and unkindly, the previous was in the Hr Hotel (same owner). even thogh they had my credit card i have been treated like a thief. but it will be for the last time.

« convenient to airport and waterfront »

Rooms are small by north american standards but otherwise nice hotel. Bed was comfortable. Free parking and wifi. 5 minute walk to the adriatic sea. Although it is only a few km from the airport we spent 45 minutes trying to find it, even with our GPS! Rooftop restaurant serves dinner and breakfast. Breakfast is 1 euro per person and is very good with lots of choices of fruit, cereal, meat, eggs etc. Our room did not have a balcony, but there are rooms with balconies

« Extremely bad service. Rude staff »

I called and asked for a hotel in the center of Bari and they booked this hotel by mistake. The hotel is near the airport and very far from the center. The hotel refused to give me a refund. also called and got the same answer. The girl in the reception was extremely rude and 0% service oriented. She was not willing to help at all, she just repeated ?Its not my problem? and basically asked me to book another hotel in the center but assured me that they would not give me a penny back for the reservation done by mistake by Terrible service. Stay away from this hotel!

    « Great staff. »

Travelling by car it was not easy to reach the location which was unknown to my car navigator (tomtom); I called twice the hotel to get instructions, the staff was very helpful. If you look at the facade you think that you choose the wrong hotel, inside the decor is nice, the room were clean, the breakfast is excellent. the staff is great. We spent two nights and if I'll be back to Bari for sure I will select this hotel. Congratulations to the manager and staff.

« Best service oriented hotel! »

Our room was quite comfortable; conveniently located with a outstanding staff for all your needs. We stayed one nt prior to our cruise and 4 nts after. Bari has a lot to offer, with the guidance of their knowledgable staff. Walking distance to so much. The railway, pizza at La Guglia, walks near the shore and a lot of shopping. Beautiful weather early October! The included breakfast was very satisfying with a seaview terrace. Ah, so pleasant!

« Excellent staff in a top value hotel »

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying in this great value hotel as part of a 4-day trip to Puglia. It's very well situated, being handy for both the beach area and the airport and we had a very generous rate for our stay too. Our room was very pleasing, a very good size and well equipped and with an excellent wifi connection. But overall, my outstanding memory of this hotel will be the wonderful staff who looked after us there. Firstly, there was Barbara on reception, who welcomed us and provided great service from start to finish with good humour and attentiveness. She also pointed us in the direction of the hotel restaurant on the 3rd floor and we took her up on her suggestion. We went up there for our dinner on the night of our arrival and there we were greeted by Alessandro who was tireless in his efforts to keep all of his customers satisfied. He and his colleague had many tables to wait on that night and, since we were among the last to leave, we noted that he was on call until way past 11 in the evening. Our meal consisted of 2 fish dishes which were both of a very fine standard and accompanied by an equally fine, local vino bianco. We bid a goodnight to Alessandro feeling very satisfied. The following morning, we returned to the restaurant for breakfast quite early and amazingly we found Alessandro there again, still steadfast in his efforts to provide the best possible service and this time with an absolutely full room of guests to serve, all of the tables being taken. The guests had no doubt been seduced into going up for breakfast, firstly because of the good quality of the meals and the terrific service, but also, significantly I'm sure, by the fact that the breakfast, consisting of the usual fruit, cereals, toast, ham, cheese and eggs etc, cost just 1 Euro! Astonishing! Yes, certainly try this Best Western. As I've said, a really good location, a very comfortable room and a great value, quality restaurant, with the added bonus of genuinely friendly and helpful service from the memorable staff, like Barbara and Alessandro.

« In tone with Palese Area »

First impression matters a lot. First contact with the hotel was like this: 'your room is not ready! Say what??' Otherwise staff was polite, breakfast ok. I don't get why people here in Palese are so reluctant to serve foreigners, they speak English poorly. Also they act like paying cashless is something extra-terestrial. I am so angry on this behaviour that I am very careful with how much I spend. I don't think I will visit Italy again!

    « Good Stay! »

Was there for 4 nights, great breakfast! Loved it. 10min walk from the hotel to the train station which isn't too bad. Hotel was clean but we found hair on our first night in the bathtub. Good view from the rooftop breakfast.

« Perfect hotel all around. »

The front desk employees are simply the best. Each one of them are very accommodating and polite. The in-room Wi-Fi needs Improvement but everything else was perfect. Hotel is very clean. Breakfast is awesome. The restaurant employees at breakfast are also awesome.

« Desk Staff Went Above and Beyond »

This will not be a very informative review yet I hope it will be posted. My wife and I did not stay at this hotel but we stopped in as we could not reach a taxi to get to the airport (the irony is we were going there to rent a car as the public transport in the area can be slow and chaotic). As we were not guests there, the customer rep (I wish I could remember her name)at the front desk had no commitment to order us a taxi but she was so helpful and in fact was told to call back as the taxi service had no taxis available so she stuck with it until she finally got us a cab. I hope this gets back to the Hotel and they give her a thank you. After this I would look at this hotel first when travelling back to the area.

    « City break »

Overall, nice experience. The employees were always helpful and nice. The room was not exactly 3 star quality, but the breakfast was very nice. If you want to visit Bari and other cities, it does not have a very good location. You have 2 train stations until Bari Centrale, where you can visit things, or half an hour with the bus. The only real disappointment was that we needed a taxi to get to the airport, and we were told that it's a fix 15 euro fee, and we were surprised to see that when we got in the taxi we already had 10 euro to pay, and after we got to the airport we were supposed to pay 15 euro and 80 cents, but we were surprised when he asked for 17 euro, it's not that much but we were told differently ...

« Palese Best Western Hotel »

We stayed here for a week and the hotel is in a very convenient location for the airport (15 Euro taxi ride away) and on a bus and train route into the centre of Bari. Hotel was clean and comfortable, with very helpful staff, and good food and service in the 3rd floor restaurant. Restaurant staff, particularly Alessandro and Carmine were great. Bedrooms are simply furnished, but had everything we needed for our trip. Barbara and Angela on reception directed us to the bus stop (5 mins walk away) and train station, about 15 mins walk away. Beware - no trains on Sundays from Palese.

    « OK for price. »

Stayed here for 5 nights, a very average hotel. Staff are nice, especially the two ladies on reception, Angela and Barbara. Rooms very basic, it's a typical 3 star hotel. I had a double bed but it was 2 singles pushed together. Sheets are changed everyday if needed, one day mine was changed, I pulled the cover back to discover a sheet with what looked like a few spots of blood, it was red and couldn't think of anything else it could be. It's a continental breakfast which consists of bread, bit of cereal and lots and lots of cakes, this country is obsessed with coffee and cakes.. The hotel is next to a quiet road so not many problems sleeping on a night, apart from some noisy idiots above you. Would I stay here again, I probably would but I doubt I'll be coming back here anyway as there is nothing to do. Bari is a very boring city, the Italian people are very ' I couldn't give a toss' attitude to anyone. Their road manners are atrocious, all you hear are horns beeping everywhere.

    « Just good for a stopover »

Stayed one night at this hotel while travelling overland. staff all were great, free parking on site, room was clean and the hotel served the required purpose, however do not dream of spending time there on holiday. The area is drab and the hotel furnishing are a bit old and are due for a revamp.

« Cancellation due to bad weather condition »

Due to very bad weather condition in Puglia/Basilicata (Road closed, No train) I had to cancel my booking in this Hotel. I explained the situation and asked for an exception of the policies but the Hotel refused

    « It was terrible!!! »

The staff was very helpfull and nice, I can appreciate it! 5* (and the wiev is beautifull) But Our two rooms were uncontable, noisy & and every time stinky. The walls are paper, you can hear everithyng from the street & other rooms. There is no minibar & roomservice. The bar is downstairs a l?ttek Coffee machine and some alcoholic drinks. Non-alkoholik drinks & snacks you can buy only from the automatic. The breakfest is too in very low quality.

« Decent overnight stay near airport »

We arrived late at the airport and used it for an overnight stay. Clean, decent, reasonably quiet and near sea. Breakfast ok plus with terrace with sea view. Not a place to enjoy a holiday, but very good value for what we did, and friendly service. Note that the fixed taxi fare from the airport is euro 15, if you dont know rhat they charge you more, welcome to Italy!

    « Exceeded our expectations »

We stopped for one night on a drive from Rome to Salento and had no problems. The parking was convenient. Small beach/pier/pizza/gelato just a block away. They advertise a private beach and swimming pool although we didn't have time to try it. The restaurant was exceptional and had a nice wraparound patio with a nice ambiance on the third floor. They accommodated our dietary restrictions (gluten/dairy) for dinner and the free breakfast buffet also had extensive options, including meat and eggs, much better than most European breakfasts! On top of that the room was quite clean and well maintained with ample space. For the price we paid, it was an fantastic value. Would definitely stay here again.

« Good choice for airport »

We chose this hotel as it is close to airport, so perfect for an early flight. The location is perfect, you can walk to the sea (no beach there!) and eat at one if the restaurants. There is a free car park and the rooms are comfortable. Good value for money for a night.

« Don't Actally Have The Goods & Services On Offer! »

We got there after a long drive and after sorting ourselves out in our room, we looked at the "in room information" on the desk and noticed they advertised a free shuttle bus to the airport. We also fancied a drink in tne bar before dinner so went downstairs to do both. We asked the girl at reception about the shuttle bus and she told us they didn't have one. I then looked outside at a minibus bearing their name and looked questionally back at her and she just shrugged and started to serve a French man behind us, who had just butted in. So we wondered away to the bar. The recptionist was apparently also tne bartender so whilst we waited we leant over and had a look at the bar menu on the wall, to see what was on offer. Then she came to serve us. My husband ordered beer and I ordered vodka and tonic. She said Schweppes, and I said yes that would be fine. I went and sat down whilst my husband waited for the drinks. His beer was fine but she only had a glass and the tonic, so my husband asked where the vodka was. She said she only heard Schweppes, so we said fine but we wanted vodka, she replied they didn't stock vodka. OK I said I'll have a glass of white wine, she replied they didn't have that either! I pointed out that wine by the glass was advertised on tne bar menu, but she said you have to go upstairs to the restaurant, 3rd floor to get a glass of wine! Then she went of flustered again because 1 customer had appeared at the recption. When she came back she said don't you want anything, to which I replied yes I wanted 2 drinks and you don't have either! My husband gulped down his beer and we went up to the restaurant for dinner...and I did eventually get some wine! However, it was clearly just a restaurant not a bar and restaurant. As for the hotel itself, it was nearly empty but despite that they still placed us right next to the elevator, and so with an airport hotel we were kept awake most of the night with guests arriving and departing. We made the above points in an online survey sent by the hotel. The manager fired back a quick email no apology, saying they never advertised a shuttle bus, (which not only did we see but was advertised in room information), mind you it was a bit of a rust bucket! And reminded us that they were a 3 Star hotel, so we should be satisfied with our lot basically!

« Google Map is wrong go to Via Nazionale and Via Vittorio Vento. »

This place was okay, no problems, staff friendly, speaks English. Rooms were clean and ready. We were slightly off-season, but not by much. The terrace wasn't open and the Dinner Meanu wasn't so big, but it was a very nice place. My one problem was the getting a half of a Orata fish, which is sort of small to beging with. Other than that this place id is okay.

« Good base hotel (Business or leisure) - Restaurant has a lovely view »

The room are a little out-dated and Internet does not seems to work well everywhere but: - Easy access and parking - Nice restaurant with a great view - The matrass could be improved but is satisfactory - The personnel is very nice - Good price versus quality ratio

« Best place to stay in Bari »

I would really recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Bari. It is very clean, fully equipped and the breakfast is delicious. You can choose from a variety of delicious food. The view from the restaurant is also very beautiful. I would highlight for sure the kindness and help provided by Angela, the receptionist. She helped us a lot by providing useful information and directions. I didn't met yet such a good receptionist. You will get the best from Bari and surroundings if you met Angela ? We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the seaside. It is also very close to the train station (2 stations to Bari Centrale). It is the best location somebody can choose.

    « Great Staff !! »

We stayed here one night in January. Hotel was easy to find. Parking was good.Front desk staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and professional. Room was lovely. Good bed and although bathroom was small and tight quarters it was adequate. Easy walking distance to the waterfront. Breakfast was great. Good selection and quality items. Staff at breakfast very friendly and welcoming. Wished we had dined in the hotel the night before. We would recommend this hotel.

    « Italy tour, 2015 »

Nice hotel for a travel stop over. Great restaurant on the third floor with ocean views. Comfortable bed, small balcony, one of the largest bathrooms that we had in Italy with an actual shelf to put cosmetics on around the sink!! Decent, standard Italian breakfast, served nice and early for travellers.

    « a room with aview »

Actually it was a restaurant with a view at the top of the hotel. The hotel is a few miles from Bari itself and is on a good rail service to the city for one euro. It is clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant is good. The staff were efficient and helpful and we have no complaints at all.

« Nothing special, but nice! »

The staff was nice and helpful! The restaurant is on the roof, where there is a beautiful view with the sea! The rooms are averages! The breakfast was copious!!! There is a free beach for the costumers, 5 minutes walking from the hotel, but it s was too rocky and small!! There is a nice coffee shop with delicious ice creams close to the hotel! Peoples around here not speaking english, but they are really friendly! The only problem, that the center is too far from here!!

Arrived here with my husband and six year old daughter. We also had friends with us who have three children. On arrival the guy who was called Andrea was on the front desk. He was very rude and wasn't interested in helping us. We asked where the pool and the beach was and he was so busy talking in his Mobil to talk to us. He was annoyed that we were asking for his help. He wouldn't serve us a drink either and told us to go to the bar across the road which there wasn't even a bar so no drinks for 4 thirsty kids. The pool is a good 1 mile walk away and is dangerous to get to as there is no foot path and is a busy road. There is another way that is less dangerous but we had to discover that ourself as the guy at the front desk wouldn't tell us anything. We tried to eat dinner at the hotel we arrived at 9:30 as the hotel restaurant closed at 10:30pm. We were told the could only serve us cold meat and salad as the waiter wanted home so we ask were else we could eat with a full menus to accommodate 4 adults and 4 children and they refused to help us just saying go walking you'll find somewhere. We walked for a hour before we got somewhere. The only good point of this hotel is the room is clean. But no fridge or safe so you have to have all your travel documents passports and money credit cards with you all the time. When we complained we were told we had 30mins to get out of the hotel. I tried to go back in and use the toilet with my 6 year and was told to get out by Andrea as I wasnt a hotel guest anymore and couldn't use their toilets. It was the worst experience I have ever had with hotel staff. Never again ....

« Be aware this is a dump »

We booked this hotel for a family vacation 3 rooms 8 people 7 Nights .On arrival guy at front desk spoke broken English . But treated us like we were being checked into a prison very rude manner condescending you know the type. Every time we asked him a question he would have to stop talking on his mobile phone this seemed to bother him and he became stropply like a teenager. The pool is about 1/2 mile away along a very dangerous road with no pavement or sidewalk. The pool is a public pool witch anyone can use for a couple of euros . You pay for a seat you pay for umbrellas you pay for a locker the only thing that's included is the air you breath. Beach is a rocky shoreline not suitable for children very slippy . We tried to get food in restaurant about 9.30 and were told they had nothing left we could have one dish but we all 8 of us had to have same thing a salad with cold meat . No fridge in room no bar service so had to walk 300 yards to shop to get drinks . I have been traveling with my family for along time and can honestly say this hotel is worst by a long mile be warned I could write three pages on this dump.....

    « FAIR »

Fair accomodation opportunity , close to airport ,was offering excellent conditions at a fair price. We will remember the terrace, the breakfast and dinners and the beach and pool. Depending on specific needs, location could be perceieved different . It was matching exactly our needs , this time.
