« Stop over on route to Calabria »

The room was clean and modern. The bed could be improved with a more comfortable type but overall it provided a decent night sleep. The WIFI was fair but kept timing out resulting in losing the signal and then reconnecting. Only had a coffee offered for breakfast but it may have been due to the time I checked out which was about 7:00 AM.

« Average old fashioned hotel »

Decent hotel but nothing more. It's clean and functional but feels a bit 50's. Right next to a main road but not noisy inside the hotel. Location is a bit odd, an industrial estate outside of everything so not good if you don't have a car. Free parking if you do though. Pool was large and clean though unfortunately a little noisy due to the road which is only sheltered by a few trees/hedges. Staff are very friendly and helpful. WiFi is slow and fiddly but just the right side of keyboard smashing frustration. Rooms are basic but large, bathrooms decent but no window or ventilation means they get quite stuffy and smell a little musty.

    « OK For a Stop Over »

Hotel is located on a busy road so if possible get a room at the back of the hotel. There is a good sized swimming pool located right in front of the hotel and between the hotel and the busy road so a bit noisy and air quality would be dubious. The rooms are good, clean and spacious and the reception and restaurant staff were friendly, English speaking and informative. Breakfast was good but the dinner in the restaurant was from a very limited menu and the very good waiter did his best with limited facilities. WiFi was good and, as it should be in all hotels, was free.

    « Functional hotel »

stayed here for one night after landing late at bari airport. basic family room of a good size that slept 4. clean, comfortable. breakfast average. hotel right next to motorway but relatively well sound proofed. it also has a pool that we didnt use. staff friendly and helpful.

« Best Western Bari ModugnoStay »

This hotel is a good place to stay if you are visiting the city of Bari , Italy or need a hotel near the Bari Palese Airport. It is comfortable, has an excellent breakfast and a young, caring and professional staff. The room could use a bit of updating but is a good value for the price.

    « Inadequate meals »

These comments are made as part of a visit in a group so groups beware. The hotel is large but only has two small lifts. They take three people at a time or two and suitcases so you can imagine the time it took to get people to the 6th and 7th floors. On leaving you had to take your cases down early in order to leave on time to catch the plane. Dinner the first night was what could be expected in a poor quality factory kitchen. No red wine available only white!! Breakfast the following day was a shambles; we have eaten better at an IBIS budget than here. We were provided with one small croissant, one small piece of jam-covered cake and a piece of what resembled a Madeira cake. The grill wasn't working so only plain bread available. Two waiters were frantically going backwards and forwards between two large groups trying to fill everybody's coffee and tea orders because there were no drinks machines. It's the first quality (???) hotel we have stopped in where guests were unable to have unlimited drinks and breakfast items Lunch was fine. Dinner on our second and thankfully last night was again an experience. The main course consisted of four different types of cheeses with a small stuffed tomato and a small green pepper. For those who didn't eat cheese a plate of sliced gravadlax-type tuna was served, but no vegetables. Breakfast the final morning was better; additionally ham, cheese, bread toasting facilities, flasks of coffee and hot water were made available.

« Average, older hotel with an excellent desk clerk »

I would call this place an average, older ('70's era) hotel, on a busy, noisy highway, with slow wi-fi, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the desk clerk, both at check in and check out the next morning made staying here a very good experience. I got a parking ticket in the downtown. The clerk explained to me how to deal with it (pay at any post office, but post offices very busy) but undertook to help me pay it online - a process which took him, a computer literate Italian, about a half hour - can you imagine how much time it would have taken me?

« It could be better »

I ha e staid in this hotel ar least once a year in the oast 5 years .The welcoming was good . Hotel nice and clean. The rooms were nice and clean the bathroom I think needs to have more towels and bath supplies like soap, shampoo and a shower cap. For the rest if you are going for business is just fine. I forgot the breakfast could be improved the capuchinos are not as good as the should and the service in the dining area is not the best I think they could do better.

    « Good Overnight Stay »

Five of us (family) arrived late in Bari and took a quick taxi (at set rate 20 euro). The chap at the desk was very helpful and asked if we wanted a drink. When we said, "No" he gave us water to take to the room. The rooms were large enough and there was a good choice for breakfast. As many coffees as we wanted and everything was good. We travelled onwards at lunch-time. We are very likely to make the same plans for 2016.

« Wouldn't even rate this one star. »

Worse place we've ever stayed, they changed our room to a smaller and cheaper one but we still got charged the same amount for our bigger and better one, no matter what we said they would not offer us any kind of condolence. The food was awful, the location is even worse (they make it out as if you're really close to the airport or the town centre... Surprise, you're not) and unless you have a car (which you would probably get killed if you'd never driven in Italy before) or you want to pay a fortune in taxi's just getting to the centre or the airport then DO NOT stay here. The taxi's will charge you for their journey to the hotel and you won't even know how far they've come, so taxi costs can be up to 40€ a time! Unless you plan to stay one night (but still pay a fortune in taxi's just getting there and getting out again, because there's no shuttle or buses) then really, don't bother.

« Clean, Pool and quiet, good stopover hotel! »

We stayed one night before flying home to England. The pool was clean and most of the time we had to ourselves due to the hotel being used primarily for business users. The room was spacious, clean and cool. The staff were very friendly, the wifi was a little intermittent but was reset on a couple if occasions and was then fine again. Breakfast was limited but on the whole an ok hotel for the price paid.

    « An okay stay »

We stayed at the Best Western Modugno for one night after arriving a Bari airport quite late in the evening. I had thought there was a shuttle service to the hotel but there was not. We had to pay the 'fixed price' taxi fare of €25 for a 15 minute taxi ride. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast varied. We discovered in the evening that there was a shuttle to the airport 'when available'. We booked this for the morning to go back to the airport to pick up a hire car, it cost €20 and was 15 minutes late! The transfer problems alone would discourage me from recommending this hotel and we feel it would be very difficult to find if you were driving.
