BW Premier Collection
I've been staying here for the past 4 to 5 years on connecting international flights and would highly recommend. About 15 minutes from the airport with free shuttle. Service is excellent, rooms are clean, and the restaurant food tasty. 7-Eleven a few blocks walk away. Small fitness center to break sweat if you're feeling up to it.
Best Western Amaranth is our first choice when flying long haul from Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok. Everything about this hotel is thoroughly professional. Online booking is simple and any emails are answered promptly. The efficiency starts at the airport where the Amaranth staff are always helpful and we have never had to wait very long for the free shuttle bus to the hotel. The journey only takes about thirty minutes although during rush hour it may take a little longer. Check in is, as expected carried out speedily and absolutely professionally and you are soon on your way to your room with any luggage being delivered quickly. Rooms have just about everything you might need and, most importantly, there is a large, extremely comfortable bed. There are adequate supplies of tea and coffee etc and in the bathroom there are the usual toiletries etc. Breakfasts are a combination of east and western foods with a steady supply of tea and/or coffee available from the helpful and friendly staff. Assuming you are returning to Suvarnabhumi airport, remember to book the shuttle bus when you check in...reception usually ask you what time you wish to leave the hotel. All in all, this is an excellent hotel and we wouldn't stay anywhere else when flying out of Suvarnabhumi Airport.
We stayed one night. Se booked (had confermation) non- smoking room with King bed. When we come there were not that option aveileble. Front desk sayed that smoking room just means that your are allowed to smoke in a Balcony and they have those rooms with king bed. We took that. First room we had was twin beds.. we go other room with King bed but there were very strong tobaco smell in a room. Finelly 3th room was King bed without tobaco smell. - we ordered room Service. Food was really bad, burgers. - woke up call was 10min late. - music bar near By was loud.
We stayed over one night for flight connection home next day and this hotel was chosen for its proximity to the airport and offers a free shuttle service to and from airport . The shuttle must be pre booked - just e mail them your flight details and booking ref and they email you back when to find the shuttle and guide. When we got to the hotel I then pre booked it for the return to airport. Room was lovely , comfy double bed ,FlatTV , blackout curtain for the patio door to balcony ,tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar ,safe , robe and slippers. Shower was walk in and very modern with glass window to bedroom ( had blind though!) also toiletries supplied. 2 bottles of free water were also provided. A very comfortable stay . Would recommend.
Just to ok they hotel because near the airport, But actualy, it is a great hotel, great check in an consierge services, nice staff, give me coctails on the house, rooms big, clean, great a/c, firms beds, not to much pillows, big swiming pool
Everything is alright. The services is nice, the room is good, but it is further than expected. It took 15~20 minutes from the hotel, and I did not expect it to be that far away... There are traditional markets and restaurants around that are cheaper and more choices than this hotel. However, if you only want to stay for a night, this is a nice choice. C/P value is higher than those hotels inside the airport
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights - 1 after arriving on an evening plane and 1 night ahead of an ealry morning flight. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room, good choice of options on the menu in the 24 hour restuarant. Good value for money. Shuttle bus to the airport makes life easy!
This hotel provides a shuttle service to and from Suvarnabhumi international airport which is the main reason we chose it. It takes about 20 minutes to make the journey... The pick-up from the airport was punctual. Once we arrived at the hotel it appeared quite grand. It looked impressive. We were greeted by staff who dealt with our baggage efficiently. Checking-in was a bit of an issue as, despite our booking confirmation e-mails, the hotel staff insisted we had only booked one room whereas we had booked two. They even argued that our booking app confirmation and confirmation e-mails were wrong! Anyway, after a fair bit of too & fro we got our two rooms. The rooms were ok. Quite average. Spacious. We had booked two Deluxe kingsize rooms. There was a reasonably stocked fridge, basic coffee-making equipment, TV, telephone and air conditioning. The rooms were clean. The bathroom/wet room & toilet was adjacent to the sleeping area with a see-through wall of glass! Mmm!? There was a blind, which of sorts, gave some privacy to those who might need it! I believe some rooms have a bath where as we only had showers. The facilities in the wet rooms were in very good condition and clean and the normal range of soaps, shampoo etc. were provided. The exterior grounds of the hotel were very well maintained. There is a spa, swimming pool and a gym but we didn't visit these facilities. The hotel restaurant is very pleasantly laid out. The menu choice is good but quite expensive. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening. We ventured out into Bangkok for the evening and dined there and when we came back to the hotel we spent a few hours in the bar/lounge area. Live background music was provided. Drinks were served and the service was excellent. That was a very good experience. There is a very good selection of wine for the connoisseur! We chose to use the hotel restaurant for breakfast in the morning. This buffet was ok... average, but for what it was, it was expensive. There is a menu breakfast but we feel we were 'pushed' to choose the buffet... Service was very good. Checking out wasn't too good. Again there were discrepancies in their paperwork. We had paid for the rooms at the time of booking and when we wanted to check-out they wanted paying again! After much deliberating and showing of documented proof of payment, did we get the issues resolved... The administrative processes at this hotel were not a good experience... The shuttle service back to the airport was very efficient and punctual. Overall, it wasn't bad. Prices are at the higher end and whilst the hotel was very presentable I can't say it was 'good' value... just average.
We've had multiple stays here for one night on arrival or prior to departure from BKK. Can't fault service, rooms etc. Free shuttle each way is an added bonus. Quite a few local restaurants nearby for a cheap easy meal. Definitely stay again.
Very good Hotel close to airport, nice rooms in premium with minibar included 4 beers , 2 soda, sparkling water, fruit juice and chocolate. Big rooms clean and good TV channels, very good wifi, you have good bath with separate rain shower and bathtub. I premium Room you have acess to lounge with thai snack, soda, coffe good relax. The food is avarage not special many items on menu. 24 hr Room service They have shuttle to and from airport included in premium Room. Stay here again for stopover
Nice hotel in a short distance from the airport with organized bus transfer. The neighborhood not so exiting but ok for short time stay. I stayed at the 7 floor. Nice big room with nice beds and linen. Great bathroom. Clean and quiet. Kind end helpful staff. Perfect for a stopover.
Disappointed /-ing Room ok Restorant poor service , expensive , no ambiance . Nothing to do around. Good connection with airport. Lounge bar terrible . Executive lounge and room no reason to pay for this option.
I always stay at Best Western when I visit Thailand.a few times per year. the staff are always excellent and give very good and pleasant service.Nice meals available in the restaurant Overall very good.
Great hotel. Good location, very close to the airport with a free shuttle service that got us to the airport very quickly. Rooms are a great size, clean, good Wifi and staff were very helpful and made our stay great. Perfect hotel.
very helpful shuttle bus person in standout pink jacket as you exit baggage collection collection ....20 min drive to hotel (15 min back on Sat morning) Rooms clean, functional and ok, restaurant not great but open 24 hours. Could hear music from bar even on 7th floor though (must be really loud if you are on lower floor)
Close to airport. Clean and tidy. Very helpful team at hotel along with airport transfer shuttle bus team. Room facilities very good. Pick up from the airport was ok told to look for a representative in pink blazer, not identifiable only had a sign with name of hotel on it.
Typical corporate hotel. It's fine. Good for an overnight stay for a connecting flight. Busy and loud disco could be heard from room 605. Buffet breakfast is typical best western. Expensive for what it is. Comfy king size bed. Fine.
Very nice hotel for a good nights sleep before early departure at the airport. Airport shuttle is free and distance is about 15 minutes drive depending on traffic. Rooms are big and very clean and roomservice is available at all hours.
The hotel located near to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The hotel provide airport transfer service. The hotel is also not far from Market Village shopping mall. The staff are friendly and the room is nice. The hotel breakfast is great.
I would say it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in Bangkok even though its far from Bangkok city. Was there on a business trip. Great hospitality, great wifi, and food, esp the dessert. Will definitely come back.
Shuttle bus runs continuously from airport and a host will call in the arrival terminal. Takes only 15 min ride. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. For the price this hotel is a great value.
Right when you rock up to the front you know you're in for a treat! The lobby is wide open and the colours are great...staff welcoming and attentive and the amenities* are top knotch and the food is delicious and the bar can mix a great cocktail.... *my only gripe is that the pool stunk, not the bar around it(classy and carried great spirits) or the layout (very cozy), or the size(in the middle of a massive city and near an airport , it was stellar)or hours of operation(didn't matter, you were sleeping already) but the smell; horrid ??, and maybe it's because I was there the day before it gets cleaned/chlorinated/shocked but still it was gross and greasy, I did one lap and was out...but that didn't ruin my experience there completely but that is why my cleanliness rating is so low...location to BKK is terrific, there is some great local street food close to the hotel, also a free shuttle to the airport; it's basically 30min, and that was during evening rush hour ~4pm...and this place would've gotten 5/5 except for the pool water smell so hopefully it's taken care of 07/09/2018
Hospitality staff, express check-in and check-out Room and Club is good but not many choices of food and snacks Fitness is time limited open only 0600-2200 hrs. consider to be 24 hours Internet connection - quite good location may be 15 minutes from the airport during traffic hour can be 30 minutes
Clean an spacious rooms with good air conditioner and reliable WiFi. Ordered room service for dinner and it was quick, correct, and good value for the money. Check in was slow -- about 15 minutes -- which is just too long considering they already have my info on the yesterday. Airport shuttle was reliable, however, upon arriving at the hotel I wished to take my own bag from the back rather than rely on the porter... For this the porter said something nasty about me in Thai and his colleagues including the driver all laughed. This is unacceptable and I'm dropping a star off my review just because of that encounter.
My husband and I stayed for one night, the Best Western was actually what we thought was a cheap option, it turned out to be a modern, funky and friendly hotel. Very clean, rooms are very spacious, has a pool that was a lovely surprise, the Spa is well worth a visit. They also have a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Make sure you get your travel agent to give you the detail or to organise it. We will certainly be back if we have a lay over. They even have little breakfast boxes if you have to depart early like we had to.
15 minutes from BKK airport value for money hotel. Rooms are spacious, bathroom well equipped and spacious. Staff very helpful and friendly. Cuisine okay but could be better. Bed sides don't have sockets hence you can't recharge your phone while in bed. This is in today's world a real issue.
Check-in went fine. Room was okay too. They call this airport hotel but it's not so close, however the shuttle worked fine. We had a nice dinner and our group was generally happy for the food and service. This is a four star hotel but a half star is reduced because noisy AC and another one because location.
The hotel is nice and is promoted as an airport hotel but it takes atleast 15 mins even during off traffic hours to and from the airport. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Restaurant and facilities are good. But somehow it doesn't seem that it is a perfect 5-star. The architecture seems old and the nearby area is not that good. There are other hotels near to the airport, like Novotel, which are expensive but much better in all terms.
I found the Hotel lacking in Professionalism, negatives, the staff in the restaurant were very noisy while customers were eating as if no one was there, no attention to service was given. I had requested a room near the lift and a non smoking room when I made the reservation, I also reminded them of this at check in after being asked if I wanted a smoking room, I think they could not of put me in a room further away from the lift, it was nearly a 3 minute walk once you got out of the lift, I told them why did this happen when I checked out, I was informed you are given whatever is available at check in, so an utter waste of time asking for anything in the first place. The positive, good airport shuttle, very punctual when leaving hotel, but had to keep waiting on leaving the Airport (15mins)
Have stayed at this hotel in transit a number of times, again yesterday, and am always impressed with how friendly and helpful the reception staff are, always more than happy to help in any way. Highly recommend this hotel, another bonus is that they also provided a free shuttle service to and from the airport
Great place and really good service.Free airport pick up and drop off.Lovely clean and spacious room with the only soft bed we found in Thailand. Brekky was excellent you could choose anything from the buffet.Evening meal was ok and not too expensive.2000 Baht deposit on premier room.
We stayed here one night between a flight from Chiang Mai and our flight home. It is near the airport and so a practical stop over. It was fine - large clean and comfortable double room. We slept very well. My husband ordered a room service burger which was OK, but in my view expensive for what it was. We caught a taxi to a nearby shopping centre (Mega) and that was a good way to spend the afternoon.
We stayed at this hotel overnight and found it to be very nice. Once we cleared passport control it was EASY to find our "pink jacket" greeter and make our way to the shuttle - that was a huge relief. We confirmed our arrangements for the shuttle the next morning with the front desk staff who were very gracious and extremely polite. We found the room spacious and we had no issues at all. We felt very well taken care of. Thanks to everyone at the Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport hotel.
As stated in many reviews, this hotel is not close from the airport but is quite OK for one night to pick-up your flight in the morning. There is a shuttle each half hour to go to the airport in around 15mn.The hotel is located in a desolated industrial area so do not expect a nice view or a restaurant near by. But there are many choices in the restaurant of the hotel and reasonably priced for this hotel category. As mentioned in my tittle, you can hear the planes taking off (even with ear plugs) because the hotel is close to the end of one runway and the window is not enough isolated for an airport hotel, so it is better to request a room on the side to the opposite of the airport. We have selected this hotel because it was cheaper than the novotel and globaly it was a good choice for one night.
Spent one night here between international flights. Comfortable and clean room for a layover. The air conditioning worked well, and the drapes kept the room dark enough to sleep during the day. Bathroom contained the amenities you would expect, although they smelled very strongly of citrus. Early check-in costs 1,300 THB. The cost may appear high, but it is well worth it if you're arriving on an early flight. The airport shuttle was reliable and easy. Head to “Gate 5” (door 5) of the airport - the shuttle staff arrive there approximately every 30 minutes. We took the recommended shuttle in the morning (7:30am for a 10:15am departure) and we had no issues.
As with many of the guests, we'd flown back in to Bangkok late one day and needed a place to stay before flying home the following, so we only stayed one night, which was a shame. We'd got a cab there from DMK airport (around an hour) and I did wonder where on earth we were going because it feels like it's a bit out of the way but it isn't really. It's just not central city or at the airport. I'm not sure what there is to do around it though, so can't comment on that. There is a big pool though, a mall close by and some supermarkets. This is not your average airport hotel either. It's way nicer. The rooms were big and a lot more luxurious than any other airport hotel we've stayed in, yet it didn't come with a price premium. We paid £71. We'd also looked at the Novotel (more than twice the price) and the Ammata Lanta Resort (also about twice the price). It's a big hotel but it wasn't busy, evidenced by the lack of people in the restaurant when we went to eat around 7.45pm. Quite frankly, everyone was missing out. We had a massaman beef curry and Pad Thai and we were pleasantly surprised to find that these were two of the tastiest dishes we'd eaten in our entire 2 weeks in south east Asia! After dinner, we just sorted our packing before going to sleep in the large comfortable bed. We stayed room only so no breakfast in the morning but we were on the free airport shuttle at 9.30. That only takes about 15 -20 mins to get to the airport, even with some traffic so it wasn't a stressful transfer. I'd definitely recommend this as an overnight stay. Most airport hotels you just want to get out of but I would have liked to stay another night as I felt I didn't get the most from my limited time there given it felt like there was more to offer.
So, The main reason why I booked this hotel is because they have a complimentary transfer to the aiport, Before I booked I called to check if it's genuine or not, And they confirmed it to me I was asking for Don Muang Airport transfer and they answered me Yes they have, So last April 25 I arrived at the hotel upon check in I was so pissed and angry that night they inform me that they just have one transfer which is to Suvarnabhum airport, I was shocked For Heavens Sake I'm a little bit pissed off ?? because that was inconvenient for me, Next time don't make unrelevant information to the guest, But kudos to this lovely receptionist with a short hair, forgot her name for the Hospitality that she offers to us, she prepared and help me out for my flight details the next day and even check in my baggage and seat for my early flight tomorrow, It's just nice to have someone who knows every details and everyway to help others.Would glad to know her name and the Management Because I've been affiliated before at Best Western Plus at California. Btw, Will definitely come back soon.
We stayed here because we thought it was close to the airport and was good value for money. We were pleasantly surprised. Very impressive foyer and excellent helpful staff. I booked the wrong room (twin) and they happily fixed it for us. They provided free shuttle bus to and from the airport - approximately 15-20 minute drive - which was so wonderful. In the end, the room had a king bed - very comfortable and although the room was aged and needed a revamp, we found our whole experience excellent and perfect for an overnight stay in Bangkok close to the airport. Complimentary wifi was great too and a movie channel.
We flew from London to bangkok on an EVA Air flight. we collected our hire car from Hertz at the airport, with a long drive ahead of us to our home in Satuk and with the help of Trailfinders we booked a night at this hotel and what a very pleasant surprize. The Hotel was 20 minute drive from the airport and with help of a google map easy to find. On arrival we were immediately made to feel welcome, car park is great with easy lift access. We were on the sixth floor, rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Within walking distance there is a local Thai market and some bars for a drink in the evening, although the bar with aircon, in the hotel, proved more attractive as the evening wore on. Breakfast is self service buffet style and has a good choice, with a young lady who cooks the eggs just how you want them. We will stay here again.
We stayed at the hotel on a 1 night stopover. It is a 20 minute drive away from the airport and they have a shuttle bus running regularly so you don't need to get a taxi. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and happy reception team who told us our room had been upgraded to a suite, which was a nice surprise. Our room was large, clean and had a comfy bed for a good nights sleep. It was also nice to relax on the sunbed's around the pool and catch a few more rays before heading back to ice and snow at home!
We were upgraded to the rooms on the seventh floor, which we found extremely comfortable, and we appreciated the complimentary minibar, and the executive lounge. The hotel is not located especially close to the airport, but provides a free shuttle service (transfer between 15 mins and 30 mins, traffic dependent). As it is not in a central area, I would suggest it is best used for late arrivals or early departures from the airport. Excellent shower pressure, and a pretty comfortable bed completed a good final impression of this hotel. Wifi signal was also good.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night before heading back to the airport to catch a connecting flight. The free shuttle worked well for us and the journey time was about 15 minutes. We were pleased at how nice the hotel was inside and how friendly and welcoming the staff were. The room was lovely and very clean and we spent a comfortable night there. Breakfast had enough variety to set us up for the morning. I would certainly use this hotel again and would not hesitate to recommend it.
I loves the deep bathtub, the slippers and robe: my exhaustion from travel was soaked away and gave me the energy to continue. Everything that I needed was provided, so I did not have to ask. But if I would have, I have no doubt that the people in reception would make sure I had it. It was an extra perk to have access to the mini-bar and that it had fresh orange juice and that the bath amenities filled in my supplies that had been depleted. Thank you for finishing my stay in Thailand, before I flew out, at the top of the mark.
When you look at the map, you think it's an “airport hotel”, however when you are in the Shutte you realize it's a 30 mins drive around an ugly part of the country. Hotel bedroom was great, as it was the welcome non-alcoholic drink. We booked the shuttle as he was there waiting for us, despite us being late due to long custom queues. There were mosquitos at the bar, so you have to spray yourself before having a drink. Be prepared, prices as posh hotel prices. The mais advantage is that if you need an overnight near the airport and don't want to do the long 1-2 hours drive to Bangkok, this is a good place to do. Please note it's a huge hotel, full of excursion buses
We stayed at this hotel for one night before our flight home the next morning. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to the airport and it took approximately 20 minutes to the airport. Because my mom sits in a wheelchair we booked the wheelchair accessible room however it wasn't fully accessible because there was a bathtub instead of a roll in shower. But this wasn't a problem because we only stayed for one night. The staff was super nice and thoughtful. We even received a little welcome gift which was probably the best brownie I ever eaten. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was good as well. Would recommend anyone to stay at this nice hotel before an early morning flight.
We used this hotel for an overnight stop before flying home to UK the next day. It was a good experience all round. The hotel is modern and has excellent facilites and everything is of a very high standard. Our room was extremely comfortable and had a bagh as well as a shower. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and everything was done with a smile. It's about 20 mins from the airport but hotel offers a free shuttle bus that runs half hourly.
I don't think this is where you would stay in order to see Bangkok as it is outside of the city but we stayed here one night before an early morning flight at the airport. The rooms were modern, fairly large and clean, the mini bar (including two beers) did not cost anything extra and there is an included airport shuttle that left right on time ( I was concerned as I had to be at the airport at 5am) I would certainly stay here again and would recommend if going out of Suvarnabhumi airport or coming in from a late flight before getting on the road the next day.
We had been here before and we complaint already last time that they should not offer rooms with balcony if there is almost no balcony. It is so small that it is risky to stand on it.. The lounge for the 4th-7th floor has only a few bites to eat as well as water and coffee. The aircon is working and working and does not stop at the temperature I put it. The worst here is the place around with screaming music until 1 am and that near an airport hotel where people has to sleep after or before a long flight.
I really liked this hotel although I did not stay there for that long. They offer a welcome drink that is really cool and fruity in their bar downstairs that has a band playing. The hotel is quite long an thin so depending on where your room is there can be quite a walk. This is the same for the swimming pool and gym. As I was quite far down I walked quite a bit to get to the pool but this was okay and just an observation. The pool and gym were pretty good, the pool is a little small but nice to refresh in. It was quite dark when I went there at 9:30 so make sure you take a torch if you go there late. Breakfast was nice and overall the hotel offers really good value for money. It's a little way from Bangkok airport say around 10-15 mins in a taxi. This is quite nice as it's just a little bit away from the airport but still close you can get a local cab (not a very long queue for this type of taxi at the airport). The only other thing to note is that there is some sort of market on one side of the hotel that can be quite noisy late at night and early in the morning. This was only on one side of the hotel so if you want a quiet room I guess you ask for one away from that side. I did really like this hotel and would stay again due to location, value for money and is pretty modern, clean and just what you need when you fly in late.
I stayed here two different nights at this hotel during a four week trip to Thailand. I chose this property because of its nearness to Suvarnabhumi International Airport, and I enjoyed my stay both nights. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the showers are hot, the restaurant has very good food, and all the staff that I dealt with were helpful and pleasant. Two things to note are that checkout is at 12 noon, although it is possible to arrange an extended checkout; and as another traveler mentioned, it is very nice to have a room on the seventh floor: free mini bar, access to the premiere lounge, and in general, the floor is very quiet. I appreciate the free shuttle: when I arrived I found the Mamaranth Best Western representative and she had me wait until the shuttle arrived. The shuttle to and from the airport is very helpful. It leaves the hotel on the half hour. There is a nice pool, and a spa, which I did not check out. I was very satisfied with my stay at this property, and I will likely stay here again.
This is our first time here at bangkok, I love the place, It's really superb, I wished to stay longer, Kudos to Wena or wana I forgot her name she's really helpful and accomodating, our room no.743 and Also I would like to send my Biggest Thanks to the manager Fon, This hotel really hires a good employee We'll definitely back soon, Btw I love my bathrobe that I purphase from your hotel. More power ????????????
The Best Western stay was part of our package with Trail finders. I contacted them about our arrival at the airport and they sent an email telling us to go to Door 5, level 2 outside arrivals. As we approached a young lady said Our names, got a trolley for us. Walked us to the mini van. On arrival we were given a free drinks voucher and upgraded to a lovely big premium room. Super king bed, glass wall between bedroom and bathroom. They brought our luggage up to our room. The lovely receptionist tried to get us a free extended stay in our room til 5 for free but because they were full that night they asked for 1,000 baht. About £23.000. We declined. They booked us on the mini van back to the airport for the following day. Room is very clean, very comfortable bed. The receptionist kindly printed out our boarding passes. We were booked for a full breakfast. The buffet was amazing to look at and they had hot decaf coffee. The fruit selection was very good. I ordered poached egg which was tepid, the noodles were tepid. Bit disappointed. Maybe it was my choices and it was 9.30. This hotel is NOT at the airport. But they provide you with a first class service to get you to and from the airport. I don't think true airport hotels exist at this airport.
Very nice staff thanks to Tara at the reception very professional and helpful. Very clean hotel nice big room very quiet . Good service with the free shuttle bus from and to the airport. Good restaurant.
We stayed one night at this hotel before our 7am flight back to the States. The courtesy shuttle pick up from Suvarnabhumi airport was so easy, check in was a breeze and we reserved spots on an early shuttle the following morning. The rooms were clean, modern, and oh so comfortable. The restaurant food was adequate. All in all a good choice close to the airport.
Nice rooms, well taken care of and well equipped. The service is excellent here and people actually speak pretty good English. It is an airport hotel so there is a free shuttle but it only runs once an hour due to the distance from the airport. There's also a spa, swimming pool and exercise room. There is a nice bar/ restaurant and another full restaurant, important because it is in the middle of nowhere. A very good choice for airport convenience.
Recently we were in and out of Bangkok while visiting friends in Pattaya and Nong Khai. The BW Amaranth is still a great choice when flying in and/or out from Suvarnabhumi. Their shuttle always makes the transition that much easier. On top of that, the rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is a wonderful place to relax. The Amaranth's breakfast buffet is still our favorite despite having many good breakfasts at buffets around the world. Most importantly the staff is courteous and welcoming. The area around the hotel is improving--more shops have opened up at King Khao Rd and Bangna Trad.
We booked an excutive room to relax in a nice atmosphere off the excutive lounge . Disappointing ; No service or sevice personel . Never heard off a " self sevice " excutive lounge ????? The bar in the lobby had an happy hour but with a very little options charging around Euro 7 per glass what is extreme for the quality they offer . The restaurant was nearly empty and for the qulity and the prices they charge , I can understand that . Although a 10% discount on the food as an excutive quest it was 100% charged . No reason to go back ever
We arrived Bangkok lately at mid-night. Luckily, it is only a short ride from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport by free hotel shuttle bus. Very convenient! The decoration of the room is a bit old style. Actually, we didn't have so much time to explore the hotel.
I stayed at the Best Western Airport for a quick overnight layover. Although I was not there a few hours to literally sleep for fours hours it was well worth it! There is a shuttle that runs to and from the airport 24/7: it was very convenient to be picked up at the international terminal level 2 door 5 where all of the hotel shuttle staff waits for your arrival. He is wearing vibrant pink jacket which stands out from the rest of the crowd! At check in T the hotel the staff is extremely helpful and schedules a return trip back to the airport! It was exactly 15 minutes to and then from the hotel to the airport, but at non rush hour times. I am not sure what it would be like during other times of the days. I traveled thru there on a Friday night late and left at 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning. If I have the opportunity. I would do it all over again. The room was very clean!
Old fashioned hotel with not the most welcoming staff. Staff were just okay. Only the security guards at the car entrance and exits seem friendly. Having just stayed in dusitd2 khao yai and coming here a night before heading back home. It was a major disappointment. Beds and pillows were m not comfortable. Breakfast wasnt included in the price. Location was far from city. We drove more than an hour to get to the city in the evening but on the way back traffic was clear and we took half an hour. Although hotel and pricing is decent enough, both husband and i didnt like the hotel much.
We stayed here on an overnight stop en route to Krabi. This is a busy hotel but check in was both personal and efficient. Since we had an early flight we appreciated the unsolic9ted offer of a wake up call. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. It was a pity we did not have time to stay longer and enjoy the facilities there. Check out was similarly efficient, and without asking, the hotel had made up two very nice breakfast packets that we could take with us to the airport.. a nice touch. The only thing that surprised us a bit is that this is called Best Western airport hotel when, in fact, it is a good 20 minute drive from the airport.
I booked in today after spending two weeks on a sports course in an outer Bangkok suburb. The hotel is simply outstanding. Im staying on the 7th floor Executive level and the room is to an extremely high standard, the en suite is incredibly spacious and the layout of the room is excellent. I spent the afternoon by the pool which was very cool, great terrace bar and restaurant area and a really efficient and professional staff member called Eye who was so friendly and helpful ( please pass this on to her ). The lobby area, restaurant and bar are very upmarket and i just wish I could have spent more time here. Bangkok central is utter carnage with unbelievable amounts of traffic and people, this place would be a welcome refuge from it. Its a very modern and cool hotel, the only thing thats missing is it being on a beach by the sea!!
Its a nice hotel approx. 10 to 15 minutes near the airport. Neat & Clean Hotel. Big lobby. Rooms were nice & comfortable. Batrooms too were nice with good force of hot water. Has a Spa & a Coffee Shop
This hotel was a very good surprise. It is so beautiful, luxurious and modern! Great job done. The room was following the same wave. Very modern, cosy, soundproof, clean. Just perfect. The corridors also: big attention to limit noise and beautiful. Special mention also for the lounge. Stunning. The staff was very professional and very nice. Breakfast was pretty good. The only issue is that it is not an airport hotel for me as it takes 17-18min with the shuttle. But really, it is a fantastic place. Congratulations.
We spent last night at this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. When we checked in - the person behind the desk was pleasant and welcoming- he upgraded us to a beautiful room on the 7th floor that had all the amenities you might need. The shuttle to the airport was on time and very efficient. For the price it was a wonderful experience. We have already reserved for another night before we fly out of Thailand.
Definitely recommend this hotel for every reason from the fresh fruit drink from the lounge to the airport shuttle. They went above and beyond to please. English at front desk was very sufficient. Rooms were clean and up to date. Didn't have one complaint.
Well located near airport (15-20 mins) and provides complementary shuttle. Excellent friendly service. Spacious rooms No view. Good restaurant and buffet breakfast. Good free internet connection. Extra attention to second time visitors.
This was the second time we have stayed here and I cannot imagine we would choose any other hotel for a one night stopover. Great value for money. Super friendly staff. This last visit we had a room with a better view and also made use of the lovely pool. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the amenities. Free shuttle bus. Highly recommend.
Friendly and service minded staff, and a nice room on the premier floor. We were upgraded on arrival, got our welcome drinks before heading to the pool. Then we ordered room service to deliver food by the poolside. Me and my girlfriend were both happy with choosing this hotel. The only downside was the food. A huge disappointment. My girlfriend ordered a papaya salad and I ordered a phad thai. Having eaten local food for two weeks I know what phad thai should taste like, and this was «phad farang». A westernized version. The phad thai had too little fish sauce, not enough tamarin and too much sugar. I would have also liked more vegetables. Maybe they even used ketchup. Also the papaya salad was not spicy enough. Bottom line is that Amaranth is a good hotel, but if you want real thai food, eat somewhere else. I suggest street food. It's genuine, cheaper, and much better than most westernized hotel food.
I stayed here on the 8th December for one night only, as I had a morning flight to krabi. I got in the short taxi ride queue from the airport and takes about 15 mins and 130 bahts Upon arrival I was acknowledged immediately and checked in promptly. I was told at reception I was being upgraded due to a large party arriving. I was given a huge suite with a balcony which overlooked the airport runway. Comfortable bed, decent aircon and bathroom up to a good standard. If you leave the hotel and turn right there are a few restaurants, massage places and a night market, not many tourists around, mainly local, so much better value for money. After a swift checkout there is Courtesy free shuttle bus to airport which takes about 15 mins Likely to stay again if in similar circumstances or if you want to avoid there madness in the city of Bangkok.
Just spent a short night with my wife prior to an early flight. Fast and efficient check-in in a very busy lobby packed with group tours. Rooms are new and still look good... check it out when the carpet will start smelling... Beds are comfortable and bathroom is fully furnished. At 6 am the traffic to the airport took 20mns max. The hotel offers shuttle services but we used a car... Will return.
What a beautiful hotel! Super friendly customer service! Very tasty food in hotel lobby restaurant! Love the room and showers! Nice, clean, spacious! Went to the spa massage, not traditional Thai massage, but clean room/ towels and friendly ladies! Great value! Highly recommended!
Stayed overnight due to long layover. Hotel is a 20 minute car ride from the airport. It does offer a shuttle service but instructions as to where to catch the shuttle are unclear. The airport offers no hotel shuttle signage. To find shuttle, head to the 2nd floor of airport. Look for the BW rep in bright pink blazer jacket holding a sign. At the hotel reception, the counter rep asked for our passports. They were not returned to me and I didn't notice. A little later, another staff person came to our door to return them. An honest mistake, but something to be aware of especially after a long flight. Hotel room is adequate but came with some issues. Bathroom faucets are tricky to regulate to get the right temp. On a side note, the white towels appear tinged with grey. Also, the room does not come equipped with iron and board. Overall, the room was below my expectations for such a major hotel chain.
Despite the name, it does not seem to be that close to the airport. It's 13 kilometres away, and at least a 20 minutes' drive. Now, having said that, if you need to go to the city, take a cab to Udom Suk Station, much faster and closer to Sukhumvit than going back to the airport and taking two train lines. The hotel is aged but clean. Dark corridors and good burgers. Decent breakfast. A one night stand only.
A nice hotel reasonably priced but make sure you know how to get the shuttle to stop at the airport to pick you up. We got a taxi twice after twice waiting over 40 mins for the shuttle. The hotel itself is comfortable with an adequate breakfast. Would not recommend this hotel because of its location.
We were coming back from Phuket and wanted a hotel for one night stay till we catch our international flight to colombo the next day. We checked in close to the midnight and it was smooth and fast. Lady at reception offered us a discounted rate if we opt in for breakfast which we did but I recommend ala carte could be best since breakfast is limited choice. But cannot complain since I was a vegetarian. Room was spacious &nice with a tiny balcony. Bathroom was good. They have a pool and garden area near pool overlooking breakfast restaurant was quite nice. Best thing about this hotel is free airport shuttle. They have one leaving every 30 mins I believe. You can inform reception ahead of time. Though it was for one night stay but we felt we should have had more time to spend at the hotel. Highly Recommend if you want to be close to Airport with comfort.
The hotel is much farther than the 3.2 miles from the airport and it cost me 300 baht to get here. When I checked in I was told that I would have to pay an extra fee for my daughters breakfast. It was advertised breakfast included. This made me angry and upset. My next trip I will definitely not stay here, the hidden fees I loathe.
In transit from Cambodia to India. Hotel provided free transfers both ways which was definitely a plus. Rooms were nice size and clean. Good Wi-Fi and hot water. Bed was excellent. I was sorry I had to leave so early in the morning. Restaurant was ok. I ordered some type of fried fish a nd for me it was over .fried.
This hotel is an extremely reasonable option close to the airport. Takes approximately 20 minutes by hotel shuttle. Check in is very quick. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bottom line is this is basically a layover hotel, but they try very hard to not make it feel like one. I feel like they're succeeding.
When stayed here twice; once on Dec 21st and again on Jan 8th during our arrival and departure of our three weeks trip to Laos and Cambodia. Beautiful quite swimming pool and good gym. We never had a chance to eat breakfast in the lounge since each time we had to leave by 4am to catch our flights but they did make us a good to go breakfast second time, they upgraded us to the executive lounge where we had access to snacks and drinks. This is good customer service since the hotel was practically empty that night.
This hotel is surprisingly good. The room was spacious, the bed comfy and it even had a little balcony to dry your clothes. We arrived really early on our last day in Bangkok and managed to check in at 11am which was quite lucky. We spent most of the day by the pool which is quiet and great with a pool bar where they bring the drinks to your lounger. Hotel grounds are very pretty and the food in the restaurant was surprisingly good quality - they clearly have a proper chef there. Overall a really good stay, highly recommended for a stopover.
What a great hotel for the price Staff are very friendly and helpful Restaurant is very good Not much in surrounding area but you still have 7 eleven and market 5 minutes walk. Ideal for really quick stop over
We recently stayed in the hotel for an night while meeting up with friends in Bangkok. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, had a really beautiful bathtub and shower area. The water pressure was awesome (I'm a freak for great water pressure in showers), and they had two shower heads, one way up high like a rain fall water head, and another removable wand kind. I'm 6'5" tall and have to always crouch down in the shower which sucks, but here I didn't have to do so. A walk out the front door and another 100' will get you to the main street with taxis and quick transportation. Twenty minutes to the BTS, 35 minutes to the Chatuchak Market and other great destinations. The breakfast (included in our room cost) was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Hotel located near the international airport Suvarnabhumi of Bangkok. Free shuttle available even during the night (+/- 20 minutes to get to airport if no traffic). Good wifi. Nice bar and restaurant. Food ok. We had a drink with the company of a singer at the piano. Great ! Friendly and helpful staff, you can count on them for all your requests. Beautiful building with a nice decoration. Great park around the hotel. Perfect room : big, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Excellent bedding. All the room is perfectly clean. Very modern bathroom. Balcony. No special view but nice to relax during the evening. We don't know about breakfast. In conclusion, 100% positive !
We stayed one night between flights and had two rooms on floor 7, premier floor. It's a 15 minute drive to and from the airport in the hotel shuttle bus. Hotel has great amenities- good gym, lovely pool and I had a relaxing massage at the spa. Breakfast was included and had a good array of food, dinner menu has a good range of Thai and western dishes. The room was well appointed, excellent bathroom and all in all it was an excellent choice. It is a long way from town so I would stay here again for transit type trips. Staff were very helpful, always service with a smile.
We stayed 2 nights before our long flight home, we were upgraded to a 5th floor premium suite which was huge with a long narrow balcony. Although over looking a busy road this did not affect our sleep quality. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, with a lovely pool area, with decent sun beds and lots of shade. We ate in the restaurant and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be lack of plug sockets, and mirrors in the room. The free transfer to and from the airport is a real bonus and took 10 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.
We were arriving from ATL (Via ICN) and were dog tired. I had booked ahead for the family as we were heading to Chiang Mai the next day. Free shuttle was key (although I found out later that Uber works great in Bangkok). They were waiting at gate 5 in a pink jacket, easy to find after a looonnnng day of travel. Check-in was pleasant and quick (even though it was midnight). We had two basic rooms across from each other. They were clean and quiet, not too dated. Only downside was that a small cup of coffee from the restaurant the next morning was pretty pricey.
The hotel is very well maintaned and well positioned for business travellers not visiting Bangkok (there is a huge industrial area southeast of the hotel). The hotel is also suitable for turists for one night stay (after late arrival or before departing from BKK Airport). Shuttle service, free of charge, works very well and is the best connection between the airport and the hotel. Breakfast is excellent, except coffee (there´s much room for improvement). Price preformance ratio is excellent.
This hotel was surprisingly very nice. I stayed for one night and my flight was early in the morning. They have free shuttle service to the airport. Restaurant food was very nice. Rooms were big and very comfortable. This hotel is definitely a value for money hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay before leaving the city.
We had a 16 hour layover, so only needed a bed and shower. This hotel is close to the airport with a free shuttle bus. Staff are friendly, and the rooms very comfortable. Breakfast is typical of most Asian countries, which is all you need before yet another long haul flight. Well worth staying here for a night.
Best Western Premier Amaranth is a nice and cheap hotel near the airport. Is ideally for those have some time between flights and need some rest. Unfortunatly i did't use the facilities exept of the room and i can't recomend somthing. The room was clean and big.
25 minute drive from airport. Neighborhood is industrial and super busy highway runs right in front. Stay in hotel if you go as outside was noisy and dirty. Hotel itself was fine. Had lovely N. Thai lunch with plenty of food for not so much. Pool area in the back lovely and quiet. Room was fine. For much less $$$, you can find an okay place closer. I don't regret going, but won't be back.
I stayed at this Hotel because it's relatively close to the airport and offers free shuttle to and from the airport. I had a night to stay in Bangkok before my 17 Hrs flight back home so I wanted to get a good rest. Hotel rooms are clean noise level is just OK since there is a large market close by and service is great. All in all a very good choice for an "Airport Hotel"
Price is double because it caters to foreign travelers. No breakfast included. Pool closes early. Shuttle to and from bkk airport included. 20-30 min from bkk. Not recommended unless you need to be close to airport. Nothing special.
This is an easy place to stay for an overnight stopover. Facilities are good; staff are pleasant; I felt safe and welcome. It does take some time from the airport pick up to get to the hotel, but the drivers are good and the shuttle service goes frequently.
This was our 3/4 time we have stayed at this hotel and wont be our last. Was upgraded to the 7th floor on our arrival and was much appreciated. Rooms are very large, and the restaurant is excellent and the food is 1st class. Will be back next year
We checked in on November 30th hoping to rest up for a long flight back for Toronto the next day... we were given room #407, which is surrounded by a noisy and loud music playing Chinese tour group who kept us up whole night.... In fact I am writing this post at 1 am after been woken up by a loud knocking on my door by one of the noisy neighbour at 12.30 am who mistook my room to be belonging to one of his group's ....we had just managed to fall asleep..
I stayed at this property for one night as I had an early check-in at the airport the following morning. It is the perfect property for this reason. I connot comment on how good it would be for a longer stay.
Excellent value for money with good quality affordable food. The staff, as often, in Thailand are great. Extensive breakfast. Very good size comfortable room. Not at the airport but 15 mins away but pick up and return to airport service by the hotel.
The drive from the airport was a bit further than we would have expected and the area near the hotel was not that glamorous, however, the hotel itself was certainly a treasure. Airport transfer is free at an interval of 30 mins except from 2-5 am. Just look for the person in the hot pink jacket!! Good TV channel selection and WIFI. Staff are friendly and courteous. Checking in and out was a breeze. As I arrived at midnight I was so impressed with their room service menu and there were also a number of set meals to choose from besides the normal ala carte. The only downside is the mosquitoes due to the hotel being next to the slums.
Stayed three nights recently, two on the way into Thailand and one on the way out. While two of the nights were quiet with no issue, on one of them there was a huge stage set up across the street from the hotel and exceedingly loud music playing on the stage until 2am. The hotel said they had no control over this - and I understand it is off property - but it was terrible to get no sleep before an early flight due to this! There was a festival; I would definately inquire if ever booking again about whether any events are planned nearby and book elsewhere if so! The restaurant is 24hrs, which is nice when arriving late. Food was good and the breakfast buffet is very good. When we took the shuttle for a domestic flight we had plenty of time, but when taking an international flight the hotel sent us 2.5 hours early and 3 is a much better idea!! Overcall, clean hotel, AC, wi-fi and comfrtable beds. Would stay again - absent the noise. Walking distance to a street market and 7-11. Helpful concierge.
This was the perfect hotel to spend a one night stopover on our way from Melbourne to Tokyo. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to and from the airport and it worked perfectly for us. (It was further away by road than I expected; however, our room overlooked part of the airport.) The entrance to the hotel is spacious, light filled and very stylish, and the staff are helpful with real Thai warmth. Our room was quiet, clean and new looking. I recommend this hotel highly if you have an early or late flight - it's a great place to catch some sleep and indulge yourself a little without a big price tag.
I stayed in Amaranth Best Western Premier Hotel, Bangkok during two-day stop over while returning from Taipei to Muscat. I personally went to the property and booked the room and insisted on a non-smoking room. The front office staff confirmed availability of non-smoking room and issued a confirmation receipt. When I came to check-in past midnight I was told that only smoking rooms are available and I have to bear with that. When I insisted on my non-smoking room booking and after keeping me waiting for around 15 minutes found out that my room was indeed non-smoking. If the confusion ended there, it would have been fine. But the story was never that. At the time of check in I was informed that since my booking was Premium, I would be eligible for free fully loaded minibar and two pieces of laundry per day. I gave four pieces of laundry for two days and at the time of check out they charged me for two pieces of laudry. I remided of their promise but the front office manager indisted that since I opted for dry cleaning, the offer would not be applicable. It was never mentioned to me that the offer is only for normal washing and not for dry cleaning. My checkout formalities were completed by the front office manager herself. To my astonishment she asked me whether I used the minibar and she would be billing for that. I am disappointed that in this good hotel, the front office staff do not do their home work and insult the guests despite their promises which are already recorded in the system. I experienced another problem in getting my jacket damaged through their laundry service. When I informed them of the jacket damage, they said they will sort it out once the manager arrives. But when the manager arrived, the narrative totally changed and told me that the jacket was originally damaged and they had noted it. When I asked her if it was so, why I was not informed, she had no answer. So I paid for dry cleaning my jacket and got a damaged jacket in return, obviously due to over heat while pressing. The issue is not of money. How you treat your guests and how far you are honest to the guest? I am disappointed on this front and would like to advise all future guests of this hotel to be careful. Otherwise, the hotel was nice. Good facilities and execellent breakfast. Rooms are clean, neat and well maintained. Good for relaxation whether you are alone or with your family. But for the unpleasant issues I enjoyed my stay in Hotel Amaranth Best Western Premier in Bangkok and have no hesitatation in recommending this place to travellers. I hope the management of this beautiful and peaceful property would take note of my comments and equip the front office staff properly to professionally handle situations.
Overall, the ease of the shuttle service (free) to and from the airport, as well as the relative proximity of the property to the airport (15-30 mins - depending on traffic) is what keeps me coming back. In general, the hotel is well maintained and a good experience.
A haven of peace and quiet but still close to Bangkok airport, efficient airport shuttle service. Wide choice of food in restaurant. Comfortable bed and good WiFi connection. Staff very accommodating .with useful baggage storage service.
It is an excellent hotel, excellent service, nice and clean, there is no doubt about it. I stayed here twice during my transit, but both time, I realized that it is not really close to the airport. It's address and also web-search results show that it is one of the airport hotels. Traveller should be careful and be aware, if they are looking for physically close hotel to the Suvarnabhumi airport. This is not the case. It takes 25-30 minutes to reach to the hotel (from Suvarnabhumi airport) during normal traffic situation.
We were on a holiday get away and after a grueling day of flying from Toronto to Frankfurt to Bangkok we needed a break. The Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi provided the prefect oasis from our traveling day! The hotel itself is gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was was spacious, clean and comfortable and the WiFi was great. The bed was a dream come true and the buffet breakfast the next morning was spectacular and the best we have ever had in our travels.
i've stayed here on 3 different occasions over various layover periods. i even spent 24 hours here once at the end of a trip to myanmar. the rack rate may be a bit high, but i always cash-in frequent flier miles. the shuttle service works well, the rooms are quiet and have BBC. staff always friendly. the restaurant has decent dinner offerings at reasonable cost, breakfast is excellent including made-to-order eggs. the pool is a beautiful setting and offers nice lunches in the open-air sitting area & it's usually empty.
This is a very good hotel but in the wrong location. It depends on the shuttle bus to make it “airport friendly”. The bus is at 30 min intervals and stops at BKK airport LEVEL 2 (inspite of the airport signage that says “ shuttle buses Level 1”. Also, the shuttle bus has “PREMIER” in big letters but “Amaranth” in hard to see small letters - be warned! The driver will phone the hotel to verify you have a reservation before accepting you for transport. The hotel room is spacious, clean and well equiped. Great bed and several different pillows. Hotel Meals are a captive audience. There are some small shops 5-10 min walk further down the main road which sell street food, snacks and beer.
The room was excellent. However, I was disappointed with the staff not being able to understand what I requested. I needed a toothbrush with toothpaste and a razor as my baggage was placed on a next day flight. The receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and looked perplexed. Not good. Don't tell me I should have provided for this.
I booked a retreat in Bhutan but due to early flight, I needed to overnight in Bangkok and I choose this hotel. Few advantages to mention: free shuttle bus to airport, good service, very good food at restaurant (pick the signature dishes) and fair price for quality offered, rooms are big and clean. Pool looks bigger in pictures so if you are a swimmer do not count on it. Gym is also minimal equipped if you are into weights lifting. The minus I see, being a transit airort I met a big Chinese group who came for shopping and made so much noise behaving like there is nobody else in the hotel ... Otherwise, if you need a good hotel close to airport, this is a recommended option from my point of view. In case your flight is from the other international airport be aware that from hotel to Suvarnabhumi airport is 20 minutes ride, every half an hour and from there to Don Mueang airport is another hour (every half an hour) to plan your transit if the case. This shuttle is also free. Enjoy
Was very happy that the staff upgraded our room. The hotel Shuttle bus saved us money and the staff for the shuttle were lovely. No time for breakfast in the morning after checkout so we enjoyed a cup of tea and coffee and weren't charged in the restaurant. Lovely room very convenient to the airport
Great hotel with everything you need for an overnight or two near Bangkok international airport. All services available 24 hours and reliable shuttle to airport. Good breakfast, great rooms, excellent service.
20min from airport. Nice modern, clean and well maintained rooms. Room service set Thai meal was great. Staff friendly. No complaints. Worth considering for one night if transiting but for two or more go into bangkok
Vey good hotel located near to the airport. Free shuttle bus to and from the airport is hassle free and makes a transit or stopover vey easy. Rooms are quiet, a/c is very good and staff friendly and responsive. Great restaurant and pool. Located vey near to the Bagna Mega Mall, one of the largest in Thailand
Very good hotel, 20 minutes to the airport. Very good bedroom with comfy bed. All you need if you want to rest, work or entertain yourself. Excellent service and always smiling people to take care of you.
As I only had 20 hours stopover in Bangkok, I wanted to stay close to the airport to maximize the rest time and minimize the transportation cost. This hotel has free shuttle from/to the airport and it worked really well both ways. The ride takes 10-15 minutes depending of traffic. Check in was a breeze and I was very happy to get the room already 8am, even though the hotel has check in time at 2pm. My room in the fourth floor was in general ok. Had some problems with the key slot to get electricity working as the slot were you are supposed to put the key to activate the electricity , was a bit loose, bit it worked fine in the end. Some wear and tear was visible especially in the bathroom, but it was still very clean. The bed was maybe but on the hard side and the bed linens were not luxurious in any way, but thanks to the blackout curtains I had a solid seven hours of sleep during the daylight hours! The pool area is very nice and the hotel has good restaurant with elaborate menu. I had a set Thai menu for 650bhts, and I was very happy with my meal. Overall, the hotel is no luxury resort but considering the price and convenience, I would definitely recommend it for short stopovers.
Most people seem to stop over at this hotel for a night or so, like I did with my family to catch an early or late flight after a day of shopping at Bangkok city. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself feels 'cold' and not very cosy. The room was fine and had all amenities you needed for a short stay. There is really nothing around the hotel, no shops or restaurants so if you must, you will need a taxi to head out to Bangkok which costs around 500Baht. The noises throughout the night were an issue. Yes, I expected to hear planes flying above, which was fine. It was the guests next door which were having an 'intimate' time and the loudness of the TV which was disturbing and didn't allow any sleep that one night. The insulation and the walls are paper thin so just beware! To also add, we had a corner room, so just 1 room to our left I can imagine if we were somewhere in between two rooms the noises! Overall, it is an OK hotel for a one night stop over, but apart from that there is nothing really going for it. For the price paid it is a bit overpriced!
This was our third time at this hotel. We enjoyed it very much. This time we were there earlier so we can walk to the night market just next to the hotel. There were shops and mini stores along the way. You can really feel like living with the locals cause there wasn't too many tourists went out of the hotel. We felt really safe walking outside but not too far away.
Very good shuttle service, expect 20 minutes trip to get to the hotel, friendly and polite staff, spacious rooms and comfortable, lousy and cold breakfast, awful coffee, not very nice surrounding in the middle of factories...good place to stay over night...we will be back for one more night on the way back home
It is good for the closeness to the airport, but it stops there. The noises from other rooms and people having 'intimate' moments was disturbing to try and sleep, especially with a child. The walls were too thin to filter out the sounds. It was an average hotel to sleep over, but not to enjoy. Mosquito repellent would have been helpful in room too.
This hotel is only 15 minutes by shuttle bus from Suvarnabhumi Airport and is really worth the money. The shuttle bus runs both ways every half hour and the bus is easy to locate. The room was very comfortable and well maintained. I had a medical emergency which resulted in me spending an extra three days in Bangkok in hospital. The hotel staff were great in assisting my partner in changing our flights with Thai Airways, and the fantastic Night Manager even came to the hospital I was in (in the centre of Bangkok and two hours drive away in the chaotic Bangkok traffic) to ensure I was okay. They went way beyond what was expected and I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
A cut above the average airport hotel - unless you pay the very top dollars. About 15 mins from airport - hotel shuttle v efficient. Unless your budget v restricted this hotel gives you quality accommodation at a reasonable price - there are lots cheaper but you'll get what you (didn't) pay. Good size room - well appointed. Breakfast good.
We stayed for one night as an airport stopover between flights, We arrived by taxi which cost 200 Baht, (£4) We weren't expecting much as the reputation in the UK is not one of quality BUT how wrong can you be.... This was a smart, well presented hotel with excellent staff. the rooms were clean and well appointed although i did have to laugh at the list of charges should you remove anything from the room but then again why would you take the sheets and pillowcases??? Unfortunately due to flight times we were unable to have breakfast, but the shuttle bus is convenient and free. As an over night stop this is a great Find.
We are trying to coordinate the free shuttle but need an email address. Made reservation through Expedia. So no direct email. Duh. I am hoping that one of you have the address so that we can close this loop.
Everything is clean - I loved it. Also the room service, the restaurant service is perfect from opening the door for you till putting a napkin on your knees. The front desk was the most helpful and also very friendly , even helped me to top up my phone / SIM card. If you like the best service and the best room take one of the suite on the top floors (all included), enjoy.
Hello, I stayed at this hotel for a night after arriving late at BKK wanting to have a convenient location to go back to the airport in the morning for my next flight. The hotel staff was nice and overall I suppose I would go back there again but a couple things bothered me : first, my room was located at the end of the longest hotel corridor ever so, I'm glad I only had to do that once... the second thing is about the shower which was going from the temperature I wanted to boiling hot to cold the whole time I was in it... To me that does not deserve more than average.
Needed a close by hotel for first night in Thailand at a reasonable cost .The shuttle from the airport is handled by the man "in the pink jacket" after you exit the baggage area. This was great since it was 1am. The hotel is located a little farther than you think because the airport is huge. But all went very well, they let me into the room at 2am and allowed me to stay until 2 pm. Clean and quiet and a great start to my stay in Thailand.
Stayed here for 1 night before onward to Chiang Rai. Having stayed here twice before. Very quiet so you are guaranteed a good sleep. All transfers included. Very prompt and efficient. Speedy check in and check out. Breakfast, very good choice. Greeted with a smile from all staff. 1 negative comment, rooms are starting to show signs of wear. However this is inevitable when a hotel is busy.
I recently stayed at this hotel for approx. two days as I was waiting for a flight to return to the United States. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful. Food at their restaurant was pleasing to the palate. The hotel room was also really good. The only item Best Western might consider is placing more electrical outlets in the hotel room itself. In other words, when you are needing to access an electrical current for your laptop/tablet, phone charger...there are minimal...maybe 1-2 available outlets. This was a bit discouraging; nonetheless, I would definitely stay there again. This was actually however my second time at this Best Western.
The shuttle is every 30 minutes. The welcome was warm, and the facility is beautiful. We have enjoyed all of our meals at this hotel, and our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff were all very friendly, and the entire stay was most enjoyable.
OK - the only reason to stay at an airport hotel is to be close to the airport - right? So don't listen to the reviews that bang on about how it's not in a great area. It's in a great area - for the airport! If you don't need to be near the airport - go somewhere else - there is heaps of choice in Bangkok. We stayed one night prior to an early international flight out and for the price, we can't complain. Check in was easy and pleasant (lovely to be upgraded to a club room, but not sure what the benefit is if you don't get club privileges too!). We took advantage of the 24/7 restaurant with a tasty light lunch (their quesadillas were excellent!) - then my partner enjoyed a good (albeit expensive) massage at the spa (but we did use our 15% discount voucher) , while I lounged by the pool. It's clean and spacious, but the inhouse prices are certainly more than we were used to paying elsewhere - but we expected that so I have no complaints. It's not in a location that inspires you do much exploring outside of the hotel, and there's no reason to do so. Our bed was comfortable, our wakeup call was on time, the free shuttle to the airport was efficient, and check out was easy. Staff were all very lovely. All in all = I think this is a great cost effective option to the Novotel, which was twice the price.
Having stayed here many times for in-between flights, the Amaranth has always been a comfortable and efficient stopover stay. It appears some floors have been updated while some have not, so it's a bit of a lottery. Even so, the older rooms are still very comfortable and pleasant enough.
We had a 28 hour stopover in Bangkok and found this hotel ideal. Yes it was in an industrial area with nothing attractive around it but everything that you want is on hand in the hotel. The free shuttle is easy to find at the airport and takes about 20 minutes to the property. It returns to the airport every half hour. Our room was large and comfortable with a small balcony. The meals are good and prices are reasonable. Our only complaint was that we had to frequently re-sign into the free wifi. Good value for money transit stop.
I have been at this hotel a couple of times before, and will definitely come back again. Situated not too far from Bangkok Suvarnaphumi International Airport with a shuttle service every 30 minutes. Good value for money.
Excellent Hotel and great Service. Will make it my permanent place when passing through . Food was great and even though my flight landed well past Mid-night the Shuttle was waiting . It was real easy to identify the Best Western person with his Pink Jacket !!
Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 12 nights. The service that given to as by the front desk assistant Manager Fon is very excellent! Fon was very helpful to as. She make sure that our stay at this hotel will be great!. Fon and all of the workers in this hotel are very nice, friendly and kind. That's why when we comeback here in Thailand we will stay at this hotel again because of the very good service of Fon and all the stuff at this hotel. Mr.Mrs. Fromer
The hotel is nice and the staff were efficient. On my way to checking out I thought that this is quite a good hotel and I would use gain. Then just after check out the receptionist informed me that there was some sauce spilled on the bed sheet and I would have to pay 1500 Baht for cleaning. Now i did eat some fries in bed and did have ketchup. I did't notice any stains but accept that some of may got on the sheet. What I was shocked at is that this is deemed chargeable. Not only chargeable but equability to what I paid for the entire night. After I disputed this ridiculous charge a manager appeared and confirmed So just a warning to travellers - don't eat in bed or spill any ketchup on the sheets as you will be charged!!!
I have been in this hotel only for a single night previous the departure from Bangkok, since is very close to the airport. It's a good hotel with good services: - concierge - transport to airport - room service 24h - nice breakfast (not included) - gym - pool The rooms are wide enough and comfortable, the bed have a view on the toilet through a glass. Which can be nice and sexy when in couple. The only negative comment I have is about something missing in the bathroom... I understand we are not in Italy and so the "bidet" is not easy to be found in every bathroom, but in every place I have been in Thai (also the cheapest ones) AT LEAST had the water spray or a brush! Here... nothing! Well, or you'll live with poo swiping in the toilet, or you'll have to clean them with creativity. Disgusting. Not expected from an hotel of this stand. I would kindly suggest, to put a brush in every bathroom, or with a bigger effort water sprays.
We stayed at this hotel twice (one night at the beginning and one night at the end of our holiday) and we were really impressed. The pick up was easy to find and just a short journey away by air conditioned vehicle, the staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help everyone (they even recognised us on our second visit and made a point of welcoming us back). Rooms are very nicely decorated - no view to speak of but that's no surprise in an airport hotel. The lobby was grand with a lovely bar area, food in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced and the outdoor areas and pool were great. One of the nicest 'airport hotels' we have stayed in
Last week I stayed at Hilton doubletree NYC; see my review. This BW Amaranth hotel close to BKK airport is the opposite.Spotlessly clean, can do attitude from the manager downward, smiling faces, good mornings etc etc. Really excellent,.special mention to Miss An An on reception.Greeted me by name with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. If you want to see the way NOT to do things see the response to my New York doubletree review. So well done Amaranth, a pleasure doing busibness with you.
When I initially heard I was staying at a Best Western, I wasn't thrilled. However, this place was excellent! The staff from front desk to concierge were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious (try the fried rice). I would definitely stay here again, and recommend.
Top class hotel, brilliant and helpful staff and very polite, lovely facilities and plenty of little resteraunts you can get proper Thai food near by,which I wasn't expecting with the hotel fairly far from the cities main thoroughfare, but ideal for me
This is an excellent hotel if you are stopping over at Suvarnabhumi Airport for a night or two with free transfers included from the Airport.. The hotel is of a very high standard. Rooms are very well appointed. Restaurant is 5 star with excellent meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner. Lovely pool with snacks and drinks served all day. Well appointed Gym. Staff are anxious to please and provide very attentive friendly service. Only negative is the surrounding area around the hotel is not good and very unattractive. Currently dilapidated housing.and swamps. However new apartment blocks are under construction and very soon this will change the whole area. We look forward to returning to this lovely hotel.
Faced with a long flight to the UK, we always stay at the Amaranth the night before our flight. On line booking with Best Western is straightforward and the free shuttle bus service from and to Suvarnabhumi airport is efficient and straightforward to use. Reception staff are friendly, courteous and very professional and we were very grateful to receive a room upgrade which included a free minibar. The hotel welcome drink in the bar is always welcome! Our luggage was delivered promptly to our room which contained everything needed including a very large, extremely comfortable bed. A wide ranging buffet breakfast sets you up for the day before the shuttle bus delivers you to departures at the airport, a journey which takes around 30 minutes even in heavy traffic. This is an excellent hotel and one we will definitely stay at again.
We got in late at night and they had airport shuttle pick us up which was very helpful given it was our first time in Thailand! 24 hr room service is also a bonus. Great location and good clean rooms, nice pool and restaurant on site. Good place for a long layover or to start ur trip in Bangkok.
I have to give creds for the most amazing assistant manager! He sorts out everything with a smile. I always use this hotel when having some days to spend... The people who works at the restaurant at late evening should be more ongoing though. Amazing tasty breakfast Terje
Bought my stay via Expedia, and the booking clearly states that I have booked a room for 3 occupants, breakfast included. Was anyway charged extra for the 3rd occupant, the manager not even bothering to check the fact that I could provide proof of what the booking includes. Just haven´t had a worse experience from management from any hotel world wide. Stay away!
This is a lovely hotel and convenent for the airport, the rooms are quite large and comfortable. There is a nice relaxing pool at the rear of the hotel. The resturant is good with a varied chose of food. We would definatly stay here again.
Stayed overnight before leaving early in the morning. A shuttle bus is available to and fro for the hotel. A modern structure, only 7 floors. Relatively new and well furnished. Found the air conditioning in Room 608 rather warm despite turning the controls to its minimum. Internet and Cable TV comes free. Convenient because it's near the airport but far from anywhere else!
I cant praise this Hotel enough, as a Best Western Platinum member I have stayed in quite a few Hotels, this one really shines out! We had a room upgrade which was nice. We were there for two nights. The room was outstanding and immaculate in every aspect, cleaned and looked after to a very high standard. All areas of the Hotel were scrupulously clean and well presented. The swimming pool was great with a bar and eating area close by. The staff were friendly and helpful and always attentive. The rooms were quite and the room we had had a bathroom with glass walls so you could relax in the bath and watch tv as well! They Offered a free shuttle service to the airport and again the driver was so helpful. The management should be proud of what they and the staff achieve. Well done I am looking forward to returning there again one day.
We stayed here for 8 hours between flights and would recommend the hotel. There is a free shuttle, check in was efficient and the staff are extremely helpful. Excellent value for money. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade.
Stayed here for two nights and cannot fault anything. Our room was so clean and spacious and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel is found to be one of the best of its kind (among its group members), much, much better than the one in Toowoomba. The hotel provides convenient and free shuttle bus service between the hotel and the airport, with a high calibre of professionalism, which must be praised of.
OK when we checked into the hotel they charged are credit card 1000 baht per person. We put the thousand baht per person on a credit card they then told us that the refund would be in 15 to 25 days that we would receive the refund back after we check out. The staff as always is very very nice and helpful here. I like the hotel because it's not far from the airport and they do airport shuttles for their guest. So if you're looking for somewhere to stay by the airport this is the hotel that I would suggest you stay at its nice and clean. This will be the hotel that I always stay at on the last night in Thailand to leave.
The Hotel is not so far for Suvarnabhumi Airport, but it really sits at "nowhere". Nearly nothing around the hotel, and don't expect beautiful view from the room. it's not the view you would find here, close your curtain and enjoy your spacious and neatly designed room. The services? It's your average. The responsiveness of the staff is not qualified for a 4 stars hotel, but if you open a conversation, they are quite warm and friendly. Maybe they are just, you know, shy. The reception and concierge are not really fluent in English, so you will need some "body language". The cleaning service? Don't expect them to speak English, yet they will try to give you their biggest smile every time. Even their smile is better than the reception (trust me!). I prefer to give them tip rather than the concierge staff. The Room? Spacious, nice and clean bed. nice bathtub and bad curtain, nice shower, low quality amenities, but quite complete. Not so good design and placements seems wrong. You need power outlet close to the bed in modern days! Bad view as hell, just forget you have a "nice balcony" there. The food? Sorry, but you need to watch closely if you need halal food. Or you can ask the staff for more assistance. Me? No, i can eat everything there. Taste is so-so, but the quality is good for 4 stars hotel. Variety? Well, i have almost the same food for my two days of breakfast. No, i can not recommend this hotel for a family holiday. It's exactly designed for business, to quarantine your convention visitors to the lonely hotel. Nearest Seven Eleven? 10-15 mins walks. Transportation? Taxis and local transports (no BTS, no MRT, nothing!) It's literally a Business Prison. + Spacious Room, Food quality on value - Bad view, useless balcony, food variation, amenities, location
This is my second stay at this location. I love that there is a hotel representative in the Arrivals area all the time and arrange the van to the hotel Without traffic it takes about 15 minutes. The hotel is well maintained. The staff is excellent and speak very good English. The rooms are large and. very clean with great AC. Overall it is a great hotel It might cost a little more than some other airport hotels but the comfortable stay make it worth it.
Overall I do see improvement since my last visit about 4months back. The staff is more friendly, their conversational English standard had improved and their facilities cleanliness are further improved. However, the locations of the hotel (which is not able to change) is not so well within reach of the city center. This hotel is good for short time stay, especially for layovers. It would help if the hotel provides regular transport downtown or at least regular flow of taxis for their guest, as it is extremely difficult to get a taxi to anywhere if you don't speak Thai and is not familiar with Bangkok.
Book shuttle via email, note breakfast (350 bhat) separate charge when using BW rewards, fyi breakfast included in other BW locations in Thailand. We stayed here for convenience to BKK, not central to downtown and need to cab to train.
Awesome hotel, comfy bed, great shower, great variety of foods, good bar. Staff absolutely lovely. Short shuttle from airport which you'll have to find at airport, and sometimes wait a few mins - only drawback if you're tired and jetlagged!
My sister and I had a one day layover in Bangkok before heading to Chiang Mai and decided to stay here based on reviews from other guests stating that they had a very good shuttle service to and from the airport. We arrived at different times and were both easily able to locate the Best Western staff in their bright pink uniforms outside gate 5, which is exactly where they said they would be. Prior to this I had emailed them asking about the shuttle and received a very detailed response, which was much appreciated. I sent through our names and flight details per their website's suggestion, and my sister's name was on their passenger list when she arrived, but mine wasn't. However, I was still able to ride the shuttle without any hassles (caught it at 11:00 pm so it must run quite late). We arranged for a 6:30 am transfer back to the airport and the shuttle was waiting for us right on time. Clearly, this hotel is a great place to stay if you want a hassle free transport to and from the airport, and all the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating.
10 minute or so ride from Suvarnabuhmi. Busy commercial neighborhood of warehouses, trucks etc. but once inside a nice oasis. Clean rooms (not new but clean) nice reception, good restaurant and priced fairly.
The property was nice. Great tours were offered. I went on one of the Temple tours in Bangkok and it was fantastic. My transportation from the hotel to the airport was excellent and punctual. I will return when I come back to Bangkok.
15 to 20 minutes from Suvarnabhumi International Airport; Pick up and drop every half an hour; Elegant rooms with good amenities; Nice bar and restaurant; They do have packages that allows you to stay in the hotel until 5 pm (check out time: 12noon) in case your flight is late in the evening; and it comes with complimentary mini bar; Good food.
On a 19hr layover. All our requests were promptly met. Room ready as we asked at 7am and promptly collected from airport. Wonderful room fantastic facilities and the staff were suberb and helpful. They arranged a taxi to take us on tour of places we asked for and the driver (Mr Thong) was a helpful guide. Full marks for making our stay enjoyable
Good airport hotel in a 10 minutes driving distance Rooms are nice and comfortable Breakfast is nice, Ba quest are large, Service is good. Nice decorated hotel. Perfect for a transit hotel, Value for money
I am probably one of the few frequent visitor for about 5 years with more than 100 booking in this hotel. I have never been disappointed about anything. location is very convenient with a free pick up from airport every 30 min. Staff are always kind at the lobby and restaurant and room service is also very fast .For shopping lover you can take a taxi to the huge mall close by call mega bangna. I travel mainly for business with sometimes meetings in Bangkok and around ,but also in between flight when I have early departure . I found this hotel convenient even when I have a meeting in Bangkok center or if I need to visit hospital for a check up.its not taking much more time than staying in central with the awful traffic Room are very quiet even with this location near the airport and i have rarely been disturb by the number of Chinese tourist who spend a quick night here . The food is really good both Thai and western and at very reasonable price and its a big reason for me to come back. Spa and massage unfortunately are to expensive .swimming pool is cool when you have time to take a break. Breakfast could be improved with more kind of bread and choice of food but still very ok . There is also a seven eleven and local food market quite nice to see if you are a tourist .But nothing to see in this area.I always return as it fits my needs in term of price/quality service .If you need entertainment ,then dont book near the airport but in city center .
I stayed here on a 16-hr layover. The property itself is very nice. Executive Floor room was spacious with an incredible bathroom. Hotel staff were friendly and offered fast and efficient check in and out. The airport pickup process was also very good. Hotel is located a few blocks from a neighborhood market with ample street food vendors, if you're like me and lacked the time (and energy) to go into the city. I also had dinner in the bar, a couple favorite Thai dishes. The quality was very good.
Arrived at Amaranth around 9.30pm. Our departure needed was 17.00 hr the day after and so was charged 1300baht for the privilege. Not very impressed by room, having stayed in some beautiful hotels on our trip, we left luggage and went straight down to eat. Meal was nice, cost was reasonable I thought. Staff friendly. Returning to room, went for shower which was a nice shower in a well cleaned bathroom. Room size, bed size, cleanliness were all good however TV went off due to stormy weather and after a few hours sleep was woken by noisy doors slamming going for breakfast from 6.15am. Breakfast was much the same standard as I'd been used to travelling. Not a lot to do in the area it's in, so off to the pool! There were maintenance guys painting around the pool. Pool area was ok. A nice bonus for an airport hotel. I had booked Thai massage for a 14.00hr special at 1000baht. It was a good, one hour massage. Staff were friendly-no complaints! Smooth check out and transfer took us immediately to airport which is around 20minute drive away. Overall, a good stay! Would recommend hotel for short stay only due to area it's in!
I've stayed here a few times before by myself. This time my wife and I stayed for 1 night in mid-April when we arrived in Thailand and for 1 night in early May before I returned to the UK and my wife went back to Chiang Rai for an extended holiday. Warm, welcoming staff at the airport for the shuttle service and friendly drivers. Reception staff also friendly but as per previous visits the actual check-in process could have been quicker. The rooms we stayed in were clean, large and very comfortable but they are looking a little old and given the hotel is not actually at the airport but an average 20 minute shuttle bus journey away, I am starting to feel the hotel needs to revise its prices downwards. We didn't have breakfast - I have previously had room rates that have included breakfast but I don't think the breakfast is particularly good value for money; we were happy to use the 7/11 and local food stalls that were only 5 minutes walk away instead. As per my previous visits, we had rooms at the rear of the hotel and whose balconies overlooked some kind of shantytown where there is a stagnant pond with rubbish floating on top and is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Don't get me wrong - I genuinely like some aspects of this hotel but am now - after perhaps 5 stays - starting to consider trying an alternative hotel next time.
Stayed at this hotel for one night. Airport transfer worked well. 15 mins exactly from the airport. Absolutely no where to walk to from the hotel once there. Check in was easy. Room was clean and comfortable and a/c was good. Had a meal at the restaurant which was really nice though expensive. Breakfast was satisfactory but not as good as other hotels in Thailand. After checking out and waiting for our transfer back to the airport the reception staff came over to say we had been smoking in our room. We had only smoked on the balcony as we have a baby in our room. She said we were not allowed to smoke on the balcony either and that there will be a 2000bht fine. I told her we had requested a room with a smoking balcony when we initially booked our room online but apparently there is only smoking on the balcony on level 5. We had been "upgraded" to level 7 when checking in which is no smoking anywhere. At this stage the manager came over and we had the same discussion again. She would not consider that they had put us on a non smoking level when we had requested for a room with a smoking balcony. Eventually the manager "discounted" the fine to 1000bht. In conclusion, smoker or non smoker, the issue I have is the way this was dealt with. Poor management in my opinion. For this reason we will not return. And this hotel has earned 1000bht to not earn many more thousand bht in returned visits and recommendations from myself.
We stayed for one night as had a 16hr stopover. Collection to and from the airport was very easy and the hotel was modern and clean. We also used the large pool before we left, which was lovely. There is not a lot in the surrounding area, but we weren't bothered by this as only really needed a place to sleep.
We stayed only one night , between flights. We chose this hotel because of proximity to the airport, and because it seemed nicer than most of the other hotels near the airport. The area is not nice, looks like an industrial area. The value for money ratio compared to other hotels in bangkok is really really bad. We stayed at another hotel, which was 100 times better, near the center of bangkok, and it cost us almost the same. I guess there are less options near the airport. OK stay, not more. Room did not feel clean enough, and was full of mosquito!
Not actually at the airport but the hotel offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. Only stayed for one night and enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant. Stayed in room 619. Good size room which was spotlessly clean. Only downside is that it looked out onto a stagnant green pond- no way I would be opening the door to take advantage of the balcony! Great option for one night stay, not really suitable for a much longer stay due to its location.
I actually stayed for few hours for transit. The hotel is not that near, 20 mins from airport even. They have upgraded me but honestly cannot tell the different, I supposed a bit bigger room. Room was clean and well maintained. Check-in and Check-out was very fast even many Chinese tourists were there. Anyhow, after check-out when I was about to get in a taxi, staff run to me and claimed that I ate chocolate from mini-bar which I did not. Good enough that staff did not force me to pay but I was quite disappointing as it must be during housekeeping turnaround the room and did not check carefully on previous guest.
Third time I've stayed here. Booked this as needed an overnight stay to catch an onward flight to Krabi. Hotel is 5 minutes away from the airport with free shuttle bus, looks like the middle of nowhere but is only just the other side of the airport. Rooms were clean and tidy, staff were polite and friendly. Food was lovely in the restaurant.
Stayed here twice, during the last three weeks. Quick and easy check in/check out. Rooms super, great wifi, clean, friendly accommodating staff. We only ate one meal, good food but a little expensive. They have a airport shuttle which runs around the clock. Would stay again without hesitation.
We needed a hotel for an overnight stay between flights and this hotel provided a convenient shuttle from and to the airport. The room was very comfortable and clean, the air conditioning worked well and food in the restaurant was good.
This is a perfect cheaper alternative to novotel. Cost around $130aud (and I was staying I'm their premier room). Room was large, modern, spotlessly clean and the bathroom has a huge separate bath and rain head shower. smaller tv than I'm used to but i didn't even turn it on. Decent air con and a tiny balcony you can step onto if you want to get outside. Pool looked nice but sadly was closed from today (typical, I only booked it to go for a swim!) until May 21st. Free shuttle to and from airport but watch the traffic. It took me 15 mins out at 6am and 30mins back to airport at 5pm. I arrived in to hotel around 6am and checked out at 5pm same day. They kindly did not charge me an early arrival fee so it was just one full day cost. Directions: go straight out of airport, through customs and look for exit 5. There will be someone with a bright pink jacket, speak to them. Other: *if you stay in premier room you get free beer in minibar and other stuff like 10% off massage, food and drinks. Compare: I paid 750bht for day pool pass at novotel a week ago which is better if you don't need to sleep. Their rooms are ridiculously at priced at 300aud +
I needed to stay close to the airport for 2 nights and had a great stay here! Comfortable, clean, quiet room. The bathroom had nice quartz countertops. I had one free day to do something fun and the concierge desk helped me make a plan and arranged a taxi driver and price with me. As a woman traveling alone I felt safe knowing my taxi driver worked for the hotel and wouldn't rip me off or take me anywhere shady. Saman was my taxi driver. Even though I speak Thai he walked me up to the ticket counters of the places I went to make sure I got situated, and he even went out of his way to show me a lying Buddha on the way back to the hotel. The hotel food was good but there's also some street food just a short walk down the street. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to stay close to the airport.
Stayed for one night during a business trip to Bangkok and had to catch a early flight. Location is good with just 15min to the airport by free hotel Shuttlebus. Rooms are large and clean. Air con was not on when entered the room but was working fine once turned on. Would stay again for a night.
Super hotel great staff very helpful even got a upgrade to suite. Food to suit all tastes. Late checkout possible. Shuttle bus runs often easy to find at airport. Checkin easy have stayed here many times
Hotel has everything your need, but it's in an isolated area, so there isn't much to do or explore outside the hotel ride without taking a taxi. While it's classed as an airport hotel, you will expect to spend about 30 mins to get to the hotel from the airport, blame Bangkok traffic!
From the moment we booked the hotel the communication was excellent. We got a 24 hour deal direct with the hotel which means you have the room for 24 hours. £95.00 for 1 night including transfers to and from the airport and breakfast. Its about 20 minutes from the airport. Food was very good and was similar in price to UK as was the beer price. Rooms where to the same standard UK Premier Inn. The pool was brill to chill out in. The only small issue was they wanted a credit card to charge any meals and drinks to, i did explain i was paying cash, on my refusal to do so they removed the mini bar from the room. Not a problem as we dont use them any way. If in the future we required an overnight near the airport, i would have no hesitation in stopping here.
Nice hotel with comfortable rooms, close to the airport and a good shuttle service from and to the airport. Staff is friendly. The only strange part is the fact that the hotel offers sometimes an upgrade to the executive floor without the benefits of the executive floor, so the upgrade is pretty much useless. This was not the case in earlier days.
Nice property with modern touch and excellent service. Clean rooms. Good food in the restaurant. Shuttle only runs during certain hours so be aware of your flight schedule. It's a 20-30 minute ride to BKK. Spa was nice. Workout room was nice.
Managed to miss my connecting flight in Bangkok and had to find somewhere near the airport for a reasonable price. Luckily I came across this hotel which, although a 20 minute drive from the airport, was excellent. This isn't a five star hotel and it doesn't pretend to be. It does however offer clean rooms, a big restaurant, OK room service, a good bar and nice hotel areas such as outside by the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and the hotel offers a shuttle to the airport. We hopped in an Uber to get to the hotel from the airport and it was only 300 baht despite me putting in the wrong destination. The room was comfortable and they do have blinds on the bathroom window to close it off from the room. They offer free wifi and provide a complimentary drink in the bar for you to have when you are settled in which was a nice offer. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to do a quick overnight stay near the airport.
The hotel smelled bad. We only stayed here for one night to be near the airport, and it was fine for that, but I would not have stayed here any longer. Free shuttle pickup and drop off service for the airport is the best part about this hotel.
Stayed a night at Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport as i need to catch a earlier flight the next day Nothing much to complain and comment for this hotel as it is only a short night stay The free hotel shuttle from airport to hotel took about 15 mins and immediately checkin my suite Ordered room service for my late supper and the food was ok In general the hotel is clean, suite is reasonably large and clean. Good hotel for transist considering the price and location and most importantly the free hotel shuttle Dr E. Chow
We spent one night on 20th april 2017 We had booked via hotels.com 2 adults 1child 12yrs On arrival we have been upgraded to a premium room 1 king size bed , we have appreciated this service BUT we did not find 3 beds in the room (no extra bed) We called reception and a manager(I guess) came to discuss with us about the missing extra bed ,we mentionned that we were 3 on reservation and the age was dully registred so we were expecting 3 beds Her answer " with your réservation the child must share your bed " !!!! Are you kiding ???? The child is 12 !!! Or she said "you pay 1000 bahts for extra additional bed "( we did so as we didn't want to loose time with endless discussion and we were tired) but after 2 weeks in Thailand it's the first time that we had such problem with 3 persons in the same room and the attitude of the manager was not at the level of this nice hotel Restaurant good for dinner
Yes, this place is very pretty. They have a gorgeous reception, very friendly staff, beautiful room and great bathtub and shower combo, and honestly their restaurant is amazing. However, it is really just really overpriced. We paid $100 US for this place. Most places in the city are between $30 and 40$ a night, so even paying twice this amount for a place would get you something amazing. So paying $100 for a place is a bit nuts in Bangkok. If you really want this high level of class, it's nice I guess. But it seems like too much money in my opinion.
You will only stay here if you need to be close to Suvarnabhumi International Airport, otherwise forget it. The hotel is very old and urgently a full makeover, including towels which is so old. They do provide a free shuttle service to the airport which was great.
Normally we stayed at a hotel very near to the airport but we paid more than double of the price of Best Western Premier. Now we stayed in the Best Western and booked the best room on the 7th floor with lounge access and balcony. The hotel was great and the staff everywhere very friendly. The 7th floor is really nice, quiet and far enough from the dirty water in the back who might attract mosquitos. The room was very nice and in the best room you had the minibar for free (we got that information on our check-out). The balcony is a joke. It is only a handwide one and you should be not afraid. The lounge offers nothing special but you can get a few softdrinks for free and a few baked items. But there is no reason to complain because all together we got in this hotel more than we got in the hotel with the double price near the airport. So - in relation to the costs of the room - it will get my full 5 stars of rating. BTW, the breakfast and also the dinner was great and the staff too.
We stayed here as we had flight problems and were really impressed with the standard of the rooms, we were on the 6th floor. Spacious, clean, very well finished and a comfie bed. The airport shuttle bus ran smoothly. We didn't eat as only there for a matter of hours but well worth staying if you are needing a transit hotel.
The staff were delightful and charming . A great transit spot. Clean efficient with several facilities. Huge place, and as such I found it a little impersonal. Good restaurant for a meal. The room was we'll appointed. God shuttle service to the airport.
The hotel itself is a nice western style hotel. It is not in a tourist area at all. There is very little around the hotel. The restaurant is open 24 hours which is good. There are no other places to eat except a local street market. There is a 7-11 about a five minute walk. (Turn right from the hotel and the 7-11 is on the same side of the street. A bit hard to see because of all the stalls). The Spa is outrageously priced even for hotel standards. The prices are Bangkok luxury hotel prices! So if you are looking for a last massage befor flying be prepared for expensive. There are some local places within a 5-10 minute walk. There are very few tourist in this area so be prepared to see no other tourists walking. The cheapest non-smoling room was their Premier/Delux room. It is really a waste of money. The lounge has a chiller with botkkled water and kids fruit jouce boxes. There is a small coffee machine to make your own coffee. There was some cookies and pastry out all day long and banana or apples. That is the lounge. There are no soft drinks of any sort. You get the contents of the mini bar in the room. This has one coke, one sprite, one perier, 4 beers and a couple of juice boxes. If you drink beer and like the brand then fine. You cannot ask for an additional soft drink in exchnge for the beer. You get what they leave and that's it. The differnce in price for the basic room to the upgraded room does not justify the poor minibar and lounge drinks unless you have kids that drink a lot of juice, in my opinion. There is a shuttle. When yiouy book there was no directions about this. So be prepared you have to book the arrival shuttle in advanced. Otherwise its a 200B taxi ride. You need to book the return at the front desk in advanced. There is room service at the same prices as the hotel restuarnt. There is a service charge for the room service. Typical priced hotel food.
About 20 mins from airport. Good shuttle service running on time. Pool is great for adults and children. Rooms are tidy and clean. Staff generally friendly and helpful. 40 -50 mins with taxi to Bangkok City Centre.
I hate paying expensive room rates to stay in an on-site airport hotel. So, I took the leap and booked this hotel, knowing that I would arrive in Bangkok after 17 hours of traveling - tired and needing to shower and sleep. Upon arrival, it was easy to find the shuttle location, and I waited only about 7 minutes for the bus/shuttle. The ride was comfortable and the check-in at the hotel was efficient. The hotel offers a welcome beverage and helpful information. Our room was clean and the bed very comfy. The buffet breakfast offered a vast array of delicious food choices, and you get a lovely view of the hotel grounds, reflection pool, and wonderful statuary. The return shuttle to the airport was right on time and we were delivered well rested and well fed. I transit through Bangkok frequently, and this will be my go-to hotel.
I just completed a 12 day business trip to various locations in SE Asia, using Bangkok as a hub for this trip. I stayed three times at this wonderful and clean hotel about a 20 -30 minute free shuttle bus from the BKk airport. I loved how easy it was after you arrived to find the hotel greeter in a bright pink jacket standing near gate four... with my name on a printout waiting for me and other guests arriving. I had to wait a maximum of 20 minutes to be helped get to the shuttle bus... the bus was loaded with all the luggage, it was clean, air conditioned and comfortable. Check in at the hotel was quick. The rooms are of an international four or five star standard. The price was very reasonable too. I would highly recommend this as a great place to catch up and clean up in in between flights.
Large, prominent looking hotel. It eponymously advertises itself as being a "hotel airport" but that is misleading. The free shuttle was about 20 minutes away from the airport. No complaints about the free airport shuttle itself: it was convenient, smooth and wonderful that it runs every half- hour. However, I was surprised by the distance travelled in getting there. But other than that, it's a good hotel- spacious, clean room, friendly staff and good amenities.
I've tried a lot of the hotels around Suvarnabhumi airport, and this is the best I've stayed in so far. It's not the cheapest, but there are also more expensive options that are not justified. This place is clean, rooms are spacious, the restaurant is good and offer a great variety of food. Their is a spa although I didn't try it so can't review, but if you need to relax it's good to have access to one, as many hotels around the airport don't have that facility. Short ride to the airport. All in all a nice stay, well priced considering what other hotels of the same standing charge in the area and well worth the extra money if you compare to cheaper hotels around.
I had a very short one-night layover in Bangkok and was itching between the Best Western Premier Amaranth and the Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi. After checking out reviews and trip reports on both I decided to favor the first since the location is preferable and it was easier to get to Mega-Magna mall. After arriving from my flight I promptly went to the hotel pick up area across exit #5 where a Best Western agent greeted me informing me the shuttle will leave in 10 minutes. Shuttle left on time and took 13 minutes to get to the hotel. I was greeted by a nice checkin lady who informed me I was upgraded to a corner suite as a Diamond member. Room was spacious (as always with Bangkok) and clean. I had a small gift waiting for me (see pictures) and I started settling in. Everything was in place, nice TV, good and comfortable king size, great shower. All in all - if you're in need for a short layover for 2500THB, this is your place.
Stayed in a premier room on the top floor which was amazing value. The big pluses for this hotel are the normal-for-Thailand wonderful service, nice room, excellent bathroom and shower, late checkout, and airport shuttle. Good WIFI A great touch is the pleasant lounge on the 7th floor with pastries and tea/ coffee from 7am till 10 pm. It gives a quiet, lovely sanctuary to sit and read a paper or, as I observed, play cards. Restaurant food was very good with an excellent breakfast buffet. This is a perfect place to stopover.
Myself and my husband stayed here very briefly at the end of our multi centre honeymoon and were really surprised by it. We have graced a few Best Westerns but this one has, by far, been the best. It's stylish, modern and the staff are lovely and friendly. If anyone needs a overnight stay close to the airport, I would choose this one.
If you are looking for a lavish looking yet not that expensive hotel located near the Suvarnabhumu Airport, then this hotel will be a good choice. The service is impeccable and the rooms are nice. The comfortable bed is a plus factor for me.
Terrible service.Booked for a king size room and got two single beds and they took half an hour to check in. They offered a king size room but with additional charges which were 50% more of the present room value. It doesn't end here, came to the room and to our surprise found people already in the room. Not impressed at all.
Stopped here for a night on the way to Cambodia. We arrived in the afternoon and we're pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel is, friendly staff everywhere (not out of the ordinary for Thailand though). The room was really comfortable too. The pool area and bar is really comfortable but does close at 7pm which wasn't great. Excellent gym facilities with free weights area too. The best part for us was the restaurant though, the Thai food there was absolutely stunning. I had the best Satay dish I've ever had, and also went for the beef Massaman curry, just awesome. With a couple of courses and drinks each we were also pleased that the whole thing came to around £20 too. You get a 30% off food and drink voucher for a meal at check in, also 20% off a Spa treatment and a free drink at the bar. All in all very nice, would definitely stay here again.
Just 3 nights spent here during our stopover in Bangkok. Staff very professional & helpful. Rooms' quality satisfactory: clean, all usual comforts, spacious. But a lot of them view offer a very discouraging view on a shanty town just under Yr windows. The restaurant can offer a lot of lovely dishes everyday, the breakfast is rich & varying. Recommended for vacations and/or business trips, very close to Suvarnabhumi Airport (5 mins by taxi) and abt 1 hour fm Bangkok centre (without traffic). Shuttle bus free offered by the hotel to/fm the airport.
We had booked the day before and followed the easy instructions to go to level 2 and exit 5 for the free transfer. Super easy. Nice woman took us to minibus and quickly to hotel. Hotel was very nice and friendly staff checked us in effectively. We were upgraded to a Premier which was awesome. Room was very nice and functional. Good size and comfy bed. Lots of channels on tv. Room service was surprisingly good and my daughter liked the pool. Tomorrow we leave for home, but this was a nice ending to Thailand !!!
My wife and I did a 10-day tour of Thailand so flew back into Bangkok from Chiang Rai and picked a hotel near the airport before flying out the next day. Agoda offered an upgrade room for very little money so decided to go for it. Transport: Free shuttle bus from airport to hotel was efficient. Waited only 5 minutes at the airport and left on time on return. Room: We got the top (7th) floor room. Comfortable bed, brownies waiting, free mini-fridge beer (part of the upgrade), big tub and rain style shower. Super clean and efficient. Food. Had dinner at the hotel. I had a steak which I would not recommend. Tasty but tough. My wife had an excellent salmon though and tasty onion soup. Breakfast was all you expect from a Best Western. The upgrade included a 10% discount on all hotel restaurants. Service. Friendly, and efficient staff everywhere. Pool area. Lots of chairs, pool is big enough to do laps. Bar service by the pool. My expectations for airport hotels are easy access, not too expensive and clean. Best Western exceeded my expectations greatly. It's a well managed hotel.
We had a lovely stay here. Pickup at airport is very convenient. They kept our bags while we went between Myanmar and Nepal for three weeks. Breakfast and dinner was always good. Forget the welcome drink unless you love very sweet drinks. Rooms are very nice. Massage was so so. The gal was a bit lazy and kept forgetting to move from the same spot but perhaps you'll get someone else. It kept me from going back. Pool area is very nice but we had rain so unfortunately couldn't use it. A very nice place to relax between airports??would recommend if you are just needing rest or as a transit spot. A bit far from town but you can catch a train from the airport.
This is an excellent hotel with beautiful facilities near the Bangkok Airport. The price was reasonable and the shuttle service useful, timely and responsive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing accommodations near the airport. I stayed at many luxury hotels during my 3 week trip to Southeast Asia and this compared with the Meridiens, Hyatts and Peninsula Group hotels without the same cost.
This is a beautiful modern hotel with great amenities about 15 minutes from the airport in Bangkok. I needed a place to spend an evening and overnight before a very early morning flight and the security of a chain hotel and the pool for relaxing were just what I needed!
I made reservations for a room at this hotel as I was flying into Bangkok in the evening and had an early morning flight to Sukhothai. They have free shuttle service which was great after a very long flight. You have to meet them at Gate 5 on the second floor of the Bangkok airport. The staff are wearing pink jackets. Just email them before you come so they can put you back on their pick up list. The ride was about 10 minutes. The driver was very helpful and he gave my luggage to the staff at the hotel and once registered he brought the suitcases to my room. My room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the shower in the morning. There is an alarm clock in the room and I requested a wake up call and I got it. They have room service too. I paid around $100 Canadian for this hotel. Would I return, yes. There is a pool and my room had a balcony.
Our connection from Narita arrived near midnight. By the time we checked into the hotel, it was around 1:30 am. This hotel provides a shuttle from and to the international airport which is so ideal after 30 hours of travel time. Even though it was late, check in process went smoothly . Next morning purchased their breakfast. A bit pricey for Bangkok standards, but worth it as it was very convenient, and tasty. The distance from the airport is about 15 min. The distance to downtown Bangkok is about 40-45 min, which ended up costing around $15 . We would definitely consider staying here on our return
Good clean four star hotel. The location is suboptimal as it is a fifteen minute taxi ride from airport And a good distance from city centre. More importantly it is not on the train line. Better off staying in city or airport hotel and taking the airport train into city. Bangkok traffic is horrendous.
My wife and I stayed here recently after finding it on TripAdvisor and we are so glad we did! The place was immaculate, very clean spacious and modern. Airport shuttle was a breeze as with checking in. The restaurant has very good food and the room was quite comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful hotel within 30 mins of airport. Perfect for a stopover as it has great facilities. It has a great restaurant and bar, spa and swimming pool. Area it's in isn't much but no need to leave the hotel.
Priceline failed to pay hotel for nights prepaid. So, had to pay again for second night and then next month for night I had paid Priceline. Otherwise, hotel is 15 minutes from airport. Go to Gate 5 on Floor 2 and look for Best Western shuttle.
First time visit in transit on way to Nepal; would like to have stayed longer. Half the price of my usual stopover and just as good.Comfortable, friendly staff, great food, beautiful grounds, places to relax. Try the swimming pool and a gymnasium for serious health fanatics. Free shuttle to and from airport that departs regularly.
It is conveniently located near Bangkok International airport. It clean, nice facility and good massage. Only downfall is it is not accessible by public transport. You would have to take a taxi to the airport to get to the train to go downtown. It is only 10-15 mins by taxi though (tops 150 Bhatt by taxi). If you are after a nice hotel and get a good night rest, I would recommend this hotel. There is also a free shuttle to and from the airport. They have english speaking staff.
The rooms at the hotel are relatively large and clean, and the bathrooms are quite nice. The property is nicely landscaped and maintained, and the hotel has a good restaurant and bar, and a large swimming pool. There is also a spa and a nice gym. Really it's all a traveler would look for and need. The primary drawback is the 20 minute or so trip from the airport. The hotel runs a nice free shuttle service to help ease that pain. The shuttle was timely for both our trip to the hotel and our return to the airport. If you're looking to tour Bangkok, this location is quite far from the heart of the tourist areas. We took a cab to the train (20 minutes and about 150 Baht) and then the train into the city. It wasn't too bad but it certainly took some time (about an hour). All in, if you are transiting through BKK, this is a far better value than staying at the hotel at the airport (which I believe was three times more expensive), and the trip to and from was worth it.
We had a clean, comfortable and spacious room. The hotel lobby, bars, restaurants and pool areas were modern and all the staff members we dealt with were smiling, professional and polite. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, newer hotel, room service food was very nice. Good for transit but in a poor area so wouldn't be much good for tourist stays. Prompt shuttle service and breakfast provided a nice range. Recommended for transit.
The room was big enough and clean. The bathroom was comfortable for me and my 2 years old baby. The food was delicious and had many various menu, from traditional Thailand, Western, Asia and also kids menu. The staff was very friendly altough some of them could not speak english, they always try to help. Since I spend most of my day in the hotel for 2 weeks, I could see how the housekeeper clean my room. They worked very fast yet very clean in every details. The location is quite far from the central Bangkok but there are several shopping center located near the Hotel. There are also a traditional market, 10 minutes walk, where I got my durian and some traditional Thailand snack. This hotel is comfortable when you stay with baby. I never heard any baby cry when I was in my room and then I spoke to the guest in front of my room and they told that their baby cry loudly all the time. I am glad, it means when my crying baby won't disturb any guest. They have kids pool. My 2 years old baby was happy since he could walk and play in the pool by himself.
The hotel is really lovated in the middle of nowhere. Taking and evening stroll after dinner is not really pleasant. The pool closes very early at 7pm. Actually not an unpleasant hotel, but not what I expect from a 5 star rated hotel and as I said, the location is terrible.
I had a recent overnight stay at Best Western Amaranth as part of breaking up a trip from Sydney to Madrid. A friend stays here quite often and had recommended it. He'd said it was great value for money, and it is. n Finding the hotel representative for the pick-up shuttle was very easy. It's not difficult to find a smiling man in a hot pink jacket. The shuttle arrived right on 5.30 pm. The hotel is on the other side of the airport and one of the main runways. It's about a 10-minute drive from the terminal to the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice. The reception area is a very open and modern. The staff member who checked me in was lovely; everyone I met in the hotel was pleasant and helpful. I stayed in an Amaranth Suite. It was a large room with a small sofa, desk and bed. The bathroom was large and very clean. The minibar is free if you book the suite. I didn't realise this until check out when I declared what I needed to pay for. The following morning the shuttle was on time to take me back to the airport for my Finnair flight. I really enjoyed staying at the Amaranth for a change from the closer hotel option to the airport. I've booked a room for return trip. A great value property that is operated by lovely people.
What a great it was to stay here. Large room with a deep tub for a relaxing bath after a long day of travel. Complimentary beer in the fridge! Free transportation to and from BKK airport was a bonus. We chose the room plus breakfast option, and brekkie was delicious. Very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this place.
Staying here for 1 night before a flight. The hotel seems really big and has a swimming pool. The food was reasonable but we did have a few issues. The room was comfortable but there was a window that looks directly into the bathroom with on a blind to close for privacy that can easily been seen through, a bit weird. The minibar hardly had anything in it. Upon check in we were not asked about an airport shuttle and then when we have to leave before breakfast they did not offer to give us anything instead. Overall not great but ok if you can't find anywhere else.
First of all, it's far from airport about 20 minutes away. But that doesn't hurt since they have free shuttle service. However, the site says shuttle needs to be booked in advance and yet there is no way to tell this to the hotel except call them up. No email id, no form to fill etc. Good thing is calling them works since most of the staff speaks good English. Had it not been the case, reserving shuttle would have been quite difficult. I liked everything about the hotel, yet rated 3/5 because I was expecting to relax in their swimming pool upon reaching the property. And voila, the pool was closed when I reached in the evening around 8pm. I'd expect transit hotel to be open 24x7. That was the only low of my stay here. Because had I known, pool would not be available for use then I could have as well booked something near the airport at half the price. Hence, the 3/5.
Sometimes you need an airport hotel for a one night stay. More often than not these are basic. BW Amaranth is not. It is perfect, in service, accomodation, breakfast and facilities. Would and could have stayed longer.
The Best Western Premier is in the ideal location for travellers looking for a good nights sleep, after a long flight or before you depart! Great pool, dining options and friendly service! Airport transfers are available!
This hotel is great for those 1 night layovers. It is close to the airport, a 15 to 20 minute drive even when traffic is fairly busy and a regular, complimentary shuttle bus runs every half an hour or so throughout most of the day and night with a reduced service during the early morning hours. Be prepared for an interesting driving experience if you are used to European driving standards!! Reception staff are very welcoming and efficient. Rooms are clean and modern but don't expect stunning views, this area overlooks some fairly industrial accommodations and is not a holiday resort but it is comfortable and reasonably priced for what is predominantly an 'airport' hotel. Food is of a good standard and room service fairly quick to arrive. There is a 24 hour restaurant and the food is good with a good choice for breakfast. I would use this hotel again.
It is a nice hotel, about 20 minutes from the Airport on King Kaew road. Definitely not near BTS or public transit (nearest BTS station is Udom Suk). Rooms are nice, nice staff so good for a stopover.
One night stay after flying in to Bangkok. Usually stay at a nearby hotel on a golf course but it was full so plumped on this one. The hotel is very new and a short drive from the airport. Rooms are a good size and very clean and comfortable. For the price I don't think I can fault it. Warning - The hotel is long way out of Central Bangkok so not really suitable if that's what you intend to do.
14 hour layover. early check in no problem. great room. Went to the pool, ordered the burger. burger was really really good, chatted to the bar lady in the bar, very quiet in the afternoon. slept like a baby. Got my wake up call on the exact time. perfect transfer to airport. like clockwork. recommended. Not a lot of people. perfect 5/5
We had a 14 hour stopover in Bangkok. This hotel was a very good choice. Efficient Shuttle Service. Easy check in. Large, modern, comfortable room. We arrived after midnight and we're delighted to find the bar open till 1am. Good breakfast buffet. Very good value indeed.
I stayed at this hotel for only 1 night as a stop over was comfortable an provided me with everything I needed the free shuttle to the airport was very useful as I had an early morning flight.Great staff with good English.
If your staying near airport this is the place. Airport about 20 minutes away by car. Hotel operates a shuttle service. Rooms are a good size and are clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast with every possible choice. After staying in poky accommodation in UK and France it is just so nice to have a spacious room. Staff are great and very helpful. The only problem we encountered was the room service bill was for a different amount to the amount shown in the room service menu. They quickly remedied their mistake.
Very neat and clean hotel. We stayed here for 1 night because our flight was scheduled for early in the morning. The room was very good. The location is fine if you are only staying here to go the airport, not good for sightseeing in Bangkok.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night between flights on 2 different occassions. The room was clean and spacious, good for an airport hotel. I would have liked breakfast to start earlier, as we had to leave before the dining area opened at 6:30 on both occassions, which felt late for a hotel advertised as an "airport hotel." I was rather unhappy with the shuttling service however. We had an easy time finding a ride from the airport to the hotel (the pink suit jacket makes it VERY easy to spot who you need). However, our first time departing from the hotel to BKK, we recieved a phone call asking us if we would like to take the 6:30 shuttle, as our 6:00 shuttle had already left. As we were unfamiliar with how rush hour would influence our commute, we started off the day on edge. Unfortunate, but thankfully we made our flight and chalked it up to being rushed and needing to be better prepared. A few days later, we were scheduled to take the 5:00 shuttle for an international flight, and were determined not to let the same thing happen again. However, we unexpectedly receieved a phone call from the lobby receptionist alerting us our shuttle was about to leave, and would we need more time and prefer to take the 5:30 shuttle instead? I asked why the shuttle would be leaving so soon before 5:00 (both of our phones matched the room clock, which was reading 4:45). The employee told me the shuttle would be leaving promptly at 5:00 and that it was 4:53. Not the biggest time difference, but at that hour of the morning we needed every minute, and having missed the shuttle previously by 2 minutes, we felt maybe this wasn't an isolated issue.
We stayed here for a night before we travelled back to the UK and we're not blown away. We stayed in lower starred accommodation throught Thailand and had better service and quality. Also it is very out of the way so a taxi is a must to get places.
We dont usually stay in hotels this good... but decided to lash out.. it was worth it.. the staff are brilliant.. the food is very good but a little on the expensive side... to what we are used to paying in SE Asia..has a good gym... the rooms are very clean and well maintaned..
Looking for a good quality one night stopover in Bangkok, near the airport and reasonably priced, led me to the BW Amaranth. Certainly the airport transfer service was up to expectations although the 15 min journey was a little longer than some websites implied. It's not as close to the airport as I envisaged but no deal breaker. On checking in I was surprised to be asked for my credit card to pay a 2000 baht deposit to cover things like minibar usage and any meals etc. It is common practice in many hotels to be asked for your passport and maybe your credit card but not for a prepaid deposit. Rather than put more money in the coffers of the banks through credit card charges, I gave them cash (which was returned on my departure, no problem). Then the frustrations continued - a faulty room key and perplexing door lock system, bemusement trying to figure out how the bathroom fittings worked, and the security system used in the lifts. Unfortunately, and surprisingly, the Porter didn't hang around to explain these things and other functions in the room - he didn't get a tip! Now these issues probably sound pretty minuscule but after a 12 hour flight, you don't need them. OK, the room was actually pretty good, clean, and the shower (once I figured out how it worked) was great, bed was comfortable but the aircon was a little noisy. In the morning a good buffet breakfast was on offer after which I had time to do a quick tour around the place - nice looking pool, gym, well maintained gardens and forecourt area etc . The checking out process was efficient and friendly and transfer service back to the airport was spot on. Would I stay here again? - for a one or two night stopover, probably yes.
Hi ! Every body and Traveler I'm Bombe , Today I will recommend hotel destination at Suvarnabhumi Airport When you arriving at the Suvarnabhum Airport, this hotel offer complimentary Airport Transfer to/from Suvarnabhumi Airport is available to all of our guests, the service operates between 05.00 AM – 02.00 AM every 30 minutes and subject to seats availability. Guests will be met between 05.00 AM-02.00 AM, by the hotel Representative who wears Pink Jacket holding the hotel sign “BEST WESTERN PREMIER Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport” at Gate No. 5 on the 2nd Floor of the Arrival Hall nearby the Information Counter. The shuttle runs on a loop, guests will have to wait for the shuttle van as it completes its circuit. When you check in you will get Coupon Welcome Drink for 2 person at RB Red Brown located at the right side of front desk.
We have stayed here twice this month near the first and last of the month and had excellent service. To start off with the shuttle picks you up at gate 5 upon your arrival and returns you to the same gate at departure. We had a late arrival after 10pm and a 2am departure. The ride to the hotel is bout 20 minutes. The hotel is 7 stories high. The check-in is very efficient, pleasant and fast. The room is large and has both a shower and a tub. A restaurant is located at one end of the lobby and the bar and lounge at the other end. Spa services are offered. A fairly large pool behind the hotel. The 7th floor has a simple snack area. We enjoyed the hotel stay and would return in the future.
There are cheaper hotels, there are ones that are closer to the terminal, however the best western offers a good compromise. It offers a good level of comfort, with a spacious room nicely decorated all at an affordable rate. It is a bit of a journey from the airport but does run a shuttle bus
Arrival Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport , pick up luggage after than just a few minute walk to Level 2, Gate 5 , hotel provides free airport shuttle, every 30 minute from 05:00am - 02:30am Free WiFi, but only in room is fast. Most popular (Mega Bangna shopping Mall) near the hotel, by taxi 15-20 mintues get there. They have IKEA, some restaurant, supermarket and some foreign brand name shop.
I honestly didn't know about this hotel. But chanced up on it after I realised that the Novotel near Suvarnabhumi Airport is way overpriced for what its worth. But am pleasantly surprised that the Best Western is half the price and just as nice. Contrary to what once traveller noted that it is not an airport hotel, it is, as one can see where the hotel is located on Google Maps. It is located at the far end of the runway and a ride around the runway may seem an eternity, it is still quite near. There is a free shuttle to the hotel from the airport. Best for you to call the hotel in advance and advise them of your arrival flight so that they may keep a look out for you.Same thing if you want the shuttle back to the airport. Book in advance. The room is pleasant and quiet. I just slept there and checked out rather early in the morning. Staff are polite and courteous. I'd stay here again !
It is nice hotel and the room was very spacious with complete amenities including the bath tub. Near to the airport and offer free airport return. Very good hotel if we need to go to the airport on time.
On arrival into Suvarnabhumi International were met by staff for the shuttle ride back to the hotel. Pleasant hotel with great facilities. Staff were helpful & prompt. It is a little travel to Suvarnabhumi, as a free shuttle is provided it wasn't to much of an issue.
We spent a night at the Amaranth Hotel on a stopover between KL and London. This is a very modern hotel, seven storeys laid out in a long curving strip with attractive reflecting pools and a swimming pool at the far end. We chose to go for a Premier room as the price seems like great value and it includes Breakfast. The hotel has it's own excellent restaurant with a range of Eastern and Western food choices, plus a bar and restaurant in the lobby. The style is very attractive and modern with spacious rooms and good size bathrooms with baths and showers. Everything is immaculately clean. Staff are wonderfully courteous and helpful, reflecting Thai culture I guess. We took the courtesy shuttle bus both ways from and to the airport which is very efficiently run and goes every 20 minutes or so. The hotel says it is 7 minutes from the airport, which is as the crow flies, the bus takes 15 minutes which is pretty quick. The hotel is an oasis of luxury in the middle of a pretty scruffy district of small shops, businesses and shanty dwellings, so the views out are not great, although interesting. There is some noise from the airport, but not excessive and we found it easy to sleep. In summary this is great if you need to be close to the airport and excellent value.
This is not an airport hotel. This hotel is 20 mins drive to and from Bangkok airport. However the hotel does offer a free shuttle service to the airport. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere but ideal for an early flight. We visited the mega banga mall and were not disappointed. 70 baht to get there and 100 baht back to the hotel. It is a huge mall with 100s of shops and a huge variety of places to eat. We were upgraded to a room on the 7th floor which was a nice touch. Lovely, clean room with access to a free lounge and snack area. We had a lot of ants in our room and were moved to a new ant-free room promptly.
I was a bit concerned about staying at this hotel given it was not at the airport and I arrived late one night and departed early the next morning. I needn't have worried. The shuttle was there there to take me, the trip was only around 10-15 minutes and check in was smooth and efficient. My room was nice, with a comfortable bed and good shower. There were plenty of amenities. I booked the shuttle back to BKK the following morning and it left on time and it was a short trip. Good transit or stopover option without the ridiculous prices of the hotels at the airport.
As per the tittle, yes this hotel is about 15 minutes drive to airport. Provide good food!! Last night we had "Thai set" dinner. It was superb! The dessert..coconut ice cream. Its my first time eating coconut ice cream and i like it very much! The problem with this hotel was, the location. It was far from BTS and MRT station. The nearest was 18 minutes drives to Lat Krabang station. I m not sure about the nearest shop, but from what i can see from the google map, there is a family mart nearby. Overall this is a great place to stay if you want to stay near airport. The staff are all friendly and ready to help you but yess their english is a bit of a problem but they willing to help!
Arranged a 3 night stay here for August 2016. Booked via Expedia. Contacted hotel direct re airport to hotel transfer at 1.00am arrival time. No problems, transfer at no charge, straight to hotel. Nice quiet room, good breakfast included in room rate, pricing was very good. Nice pool at rear of hotel, nice spa-massage in house. This is a good location for proximity to airport and business area. Not so convenient if you want to visit all the central city sights. Not 5 star but clean, quiet, comfortable and nice staff.
Comfortable hotel close to airport. Ideal as a stopover hotel on arrival or departure. Hotel is quite a way from the centre of Bangkok but can be reached fairly easily by taxi and sky train. The breakfast in the restaurant is good as are the evening meals.
Stayed here for one night before catching a flight. Airport shuttles are free of charge - just phone up prior to arriving and they'll arrange for someone to meet you at the airport. Mention to reception when you need to be back at the airport and they'll tell you what time the shuttle will be waiting for you. Very pleasant staff - checkin was quick and easy. The room was comfortable and spacious. King size bed was perfect. Bath lovers might be disappointed here as there isn't one, but the shower with a drench head and a normal one more than met my needs - decent pressure and piping hot water. Usual hotel bathroom amenities were available. Swimming pool area looked lovely although didn't have time to use it. The restaurant/bar downstairs was Mexican themed while I was there - didn't appeal to me. Would have preferred traditional Thai or a mix of Thai/Western. The Mexican theme seemed a bit tacky, but I also appreciate that they were trying to do something different. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day, along with room service. Not much to see or do in close proximity to the hotel. I had a walk around but a highway makes it hard to navigate around as there aren't any safe crossing points nearby. Great value for money - would definitely recommend staying here if you're catching a flight.
Stay overnight for early flight. Very close to airport, only 15 minutes notes drive, available shuttle van. Check in very fast and efficient. Hotel is almost spotless. Everyone greets you with sawasdee 'wai'. Suite is very comfortable, spacious, complimentary snack and fruit is very yummy. Multiple channels TV is good for kids. Bathroom is very comfortable. Bed is amazing. Breakfast has so many varieties, would recommend to try som tum. Lunch and dinner is good too. Swimming pool is good size, lots of space for small kids. Would recommend this without hesitation
We had booked 7 rooms on club level and every one was very pleasantly surprised at their service and decent size...clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was good ...they offer a free shuttle to & fro from the airport. Had dinner in the restaurant which was very good .Decent wine list with not so expensive prices. Would recommend it. Not too far from the airport .
excellent choice for airport hotel.wondefull staff, nice decor, very clean.english spoken well for those english speakers.i will stay again..very close to airport, free shuttle service that was right on time.helpfull driver, and nice van.
The only other option for a great place to stay near BKK airport is 3 to 4 times the price as this hotel. Friendly staff set this hotel apart from the other. 24 hour shuttle and the easy to spot pink jacketed starter makes staff at airport easy to find.
What a fantastic place to stay. Stayed four nights with my wife. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and amenities were very clean. Food was better than average and very reasonably priced. Close to airport (15 min) with a free shuttle bus service. We will definitely be coming back again.
A really nice gem found near the major airport in Bangkok. Service was awesome (especially the concierge), accommodations good! However, just like the title suggests, there was no way of getting cold water or even ice except for going to the bar and asking for a bag of it. They did it, but didn't seem happy about the request. There are 2 bottles of water in the room --great. But they are not in the fridge and what's kinda weird is that we requested "NO" mini-bar (to eliminate any residual payment possibilities) so when we got to the room, the fridge was literally locked. Watch out for those weird blinds outside the bathroom. lol
I've stayed at this property on a few different occasions. Once as 'day use' only before an international flight. Use of all the facilities with a very handy airport shuttle service. Recently I had an overnight stay. Arrived early at 7 am after a hassle free airport pickup. My room was ready at 10am but had the option to pay THB1000 for early checkin. A welcome drink on arrival and a lovely big reception/lounge area. I've booked myself a Delight Package at the MA Spa - relaxing and refreshing after a long fligh. Professional therapist in a lovely environment. Nice pool with delicious drinks and food menu on offer. A local market with street food only 5 minutes walk from the hotel that comes alive after 6pm. I can recommend this hotel for a great experience - better than the closer options available at the airport.
A smooth easy courtesy airport transfer to the hotel. Friendly check in at reception and shown to our large family room which the children really enjoyed the extra space. Free Wi-Fi around all the hotel was a bonus to keep in touch with home. This hotel provided a relaxed atmosphere during our stay on arrival and again before departure. It also excelled with a delightful restaurant, pool and a Spa which my wife enjoyed. 10 out 10 for our visit!
Arrived at Bangkok Airport. Free Shuttle bus took my daughter and I to the hotel about 10 minutes. Staff friendly, room clean and beds comfortable. All night restaurant good quality. Room rates about $120AUD. Free Shuttle to airport in the morning. Will stay here again for sure!
Hotel is very close to the airport, which was very good for overnight stay.Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet, Bed was comfortable, slept well. We took a free shuttle to the airport early morning. On the whole it was a good stay.
Arrived after midnight and the hotel staff was on top of things. Hotel shuttle from the airport was prompt. The room was very clean, nicely furnished, and provided the standard amenities expected. The hotel was quiet. The bed was comfortable and the mattress was not rock hard. The breakfast buffet was extensive with both western and Asian selections. Egg dishes were made to order. Hotel decor is modern and spacious. Nice place near the airport.
I was there on a business trip and this hotel is great value for the price you are paying, nothing extraordinary. The hotel is located 15-20mins from the airport and is outside Bangkok city, however the nearest metro station to get into the city is not far off. Rooms are clean, breakfast selection is pretty okay. If you plan to stay here, get a room near to the lift. They provide pick-up and drop-off from/to the airport at regular intervals.
The hotel is about 15 mins in away and transfers are provided. The hotel is modern and the staff were ever so helpful, the room was well air conditioned and comfortable. The bar is very relaxing and the food was well prepared and caters for all.
Good business hotel. Only the mosquitos are a downside. Good staff, clean hotel. Nothing to complain about. Too far from the city to use this hotel as a citytrip to Bangkok. I will stay here again and again for business though. Keep on keeping the good work!
This hotel was a life saver for my overnight transfer between flights. I booked a hotel room at Best Western at the last minute because my original hotel was atrocious. (See review here: This place checked all the boxes. Convenient and effortless. The airport shuttle was quick and easy. There was a staff person at the airport wearing an easily identifiable pink jacket. We didn't have to wait long for the shuttle to arrive. Yes the hotel was a bit far from the airport, but there is way less noise from the runway. Check in was great and they asked when we would like to book the airport shuttle for the next day. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was huge with a Jacuzzi tub and separate toilet and shower. They also provided free muffins for breakfast and water bottles. I scheduled a shuttle for 8:30am. I went downstairs to check out at 8:15am and I was immediately whisked away to the airport. I didn't have a chance to check out the amenities. Got breakfast at an airport lounge instead. All in all, a great and easy stay!
15-20minutes in the free shuttle from the airport. Pretty standard clean, big bed. I had a weird 18 hour layover from very early Thai time to late and booked a bed for the day. Nice pool. If you're like me and don't like paying silly hotel prices for food and massages then pop outside and turn right and there are loads of great markets, shops and food stands, as well as a good massage place (traditional, not kinky) just around the corner.
I booked the stay 24h option so I can stay until 8PM in the room as my flight left Bangkok after 11PM. Breakfast was just OK. Other then that it was a good Hotel. Use the Free Hotel shuttle. Free WIFI.
we booked two rooms for one night in transit through bangkok. the rooms were spacious and elegant with balconies. the toilet was spacious, clean and had ample toiletries. the check in and check out were smooth. we had a free shuttle both ways, but you have to book, specially when checking out in the morning there is a rush of checking-out. the trip takes 15 minutes to Suvarnabhumi airport. the staff were very friendly and helpful. room service items that we triied were excellent. free wifi and satellite TV. the room rates were very attractive compared to others around the airport. would definitely stay here agaiin
This hotel is close the airport but is actually 12 kms away. Takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the airport. The hotel is great with large rooms and all facilities that one would expect of a 4-5 star hotel with reasonable prices.
I stayed there one night because I had a flight early the next morning, and I didn't want to fight Bangkok traffic. The rooms are very nice, very comfortable. The bar was very nice, with a great staff. The restaurant food was just okay, at least for breakfast. The room service dinner was better. The small gym was surprisingly well equipped, with a nice selection of free weights upto 40-50 kg, which is quite good for a hotel gym. The shuttle was prompt and efficient. But I did have a couple of issues. First, they had some serious mosquito issues in the public areas, including the lobby (and the lobby bar) and the restaurant. There were dead mosquitos on the buffet plates. Perhaps this was a temporary condition, but it's something they should do about. Second, I came in very early, hours before check-in, but I was informed that early check-in would be an additional $25 (or so). I have to question the wisdom of this strategy. Given that there were probably empty rooms, would you rather add an extra $25 to your profit, or gain a very happy customer who is very grateful for the early check-in and more likely to come back?
We stayed here before and love it for the shuttle service, comfortable rooms with WiFi, air conditioning and great breakfast. Cannot fault anything as the pool is great, we have always enjoyed a good night's sleep after or before a long flight from Suvarnabhumi BKK. Breakfast is a good mix of Asian and Western choices.
Not really an airport hotel. It is about 25 minutes drive from Suvarnabhumi to the hotel. Free shuttle drives from 5 am to 2 am. Decent and clean hotel, but nothing interesting nearby it. The room was large, functional and clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast selection was limited, although the cook prepared egg dishes. Nothing wrong in the hotel, but on the other hand nothing special either.
Nothing much to say. We stayed on our last night as an overnight transfer between flights. Was decent, clean, functional hotel. We were able to go into the city in the evening by train quite easily. Took around an hour from hotel to Siam. Free shuttle bus to the airport was also useful.
Good hotel that's pretty near the Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport. Booked and stayed at the very last minute courtesy some flight scehdule changes that resulted in a 23 hour halt @ BKK airport.. Note it's not within walking distance to the airport, but they do provide an airport shuttle every half an hour. Ring them in if your booking is with with an online travel agent and let them when your landing and they'll get their man at the airport to look out for you. Return runs from the hotel to the airport can be booked at the front desk. Rooms are all good and no complaints. Food was pretty decent, great spa (legit one) and lobby bar with some live music. Will definitely stay again here if in the region
Usually when flying into BKK, I take a cab or the rail line to my hotel that night. ( usually late getting in). This trip I stayed at the Best Western Premier Amaranth on the 1st night, and also the last night, before my early 6:30 am flight out. I love this hotel, very nice rooms, very clean & comfortable. The breakfast buffet is too notch with both Thai and international cousine. I got there early the night before specifically to enjoy the beautiful and clean swimming pool that afternoon/ evening. Delicious mojitos at the swimming pool bar!!! I highly recommend staying here instead of rushing around to make early flights, or to just relax after a long flight before going incountry. One thing about the pool it is only breast deep, no deep end, so my gf loved this as she can't swim. Thumbs up here. Stayed here on 04/07/16 and on 04/19/16
Having stayed here three times on my way to Laos via Bangkok, I've come to see the Amaranth as my usual place to catch up on sleep and recover from many hours of travel. It's clean, quiet, comfortable, and well appointed, with conscientious and friendly staff. I like it a lot.
This is the second time we stay at this hotel and would do it again. Couldnt find any fault but just great things. We spent a night at the hotel, its comfortable, clean and the staff are great. The breakfast and the thai food is very good.
Hotel is fine, good location close to the airport and free airport shuttle (order in advance). I wanted to print our boardingpasses and they charged 10 Baht for this. Kind of stange if you pay 3000 Baht for a night, would expect this as a service.
Stayed for a night, clean room good washroom and breakfast included was good. It was better than what we expected for the price and modern decor.Shuttle service also a plus. Would recommend to travelers who I end to do a short stay and don't want to do inside the city.
The price was low so I didn't set my expectations too high. It turned out that the place was beautiful, clean and modern. About 7 miles from the airport which was more than I hoped though. A cab was only 160 baht thought and a free shuttle took me back. Worth every cent
Stayed for 1 night only due to early morning flight ex BKK. Booked club rooms incl breakfast at reasonable rate. Access to lounge (limited snacks and drinks available on 7th floor where our rooms were located as well) Breakfast available from 06 am only.. Nice pool with towels provided. During evening/night a lot of mosquitos ! Our rooms faced the airport and some local houses - unfortunately a lot of barking from dogs during the night ... Choose rooms facing the entrance instead !! Used the complimentary shuttle to BKK which worked perfectly !
Good points 1)According to room plan you get the breakfast, which is sumptuous 2)Beds are fine(but extra bed was bad and uncomfortable! Bad points 1)Horrible welcome drink! 2)Slow staff at reception 3)Mosquitos!! Not just one or two!Might get malaria!! 4)Ordered room service burger which was stale and cold! 5)It's not that near to the airport as it is portrayed! 6)Their concierge misguided us to a taxi service who further misguided us , though we are not so gullible but we trusted the hotel staff DONT TRUST them! Posting a picture of the hotel taxi person who cheated us of 1500 baht
My wife had spent 3.5 weeks at a hospital in Bangkokfor stroke treatment. We flew to Phuket for 2 days for relaxation. We then flew back to Bangkok for 1 night before returning to USA. We picked this motel because we wanted a very comfortable hotel, that could accommodate someone who is in a wheel chair, at a reasonable price, before our flight back to the US. This motel was very nice, the staff was excellent and the room food and service were perfect.
Yes, there is a free shuttle bus but it takes approximately 25 minutes to get to the hotel, another 25 get get back to the airport. Also, they didn't honor their late check out policy, so I ended up having to pay 1800 more to stay past noon. The hotel itself is lovely, but there is nothing around it that is worth walking to. Great breakfast, gym, poor area, and above average sleep quality.
Arrived 11am, pleasant welcome, room and amenities on premier floor were great (eg free mini bar and snacks). Pool, poolside bar & breakfast facilities top notch. Only snag - ants on the wall behind the bed. We only found them 1hr before we left and hotel found a new room within 5 minutes of us notifying them. Definitely worth it for airport convenience, didn't have the feel of an airport hotel in the slightest.
This hotel is a 15 - 20 minute trip from the airport in the free shuttle provided by the hotel. I had to wait around 20 minutes for the shuttle but it was easy to find the representative by his bright pink jacket. I opted to book directly with the hotel for a one night stopover as they offer a 24 hour rate based on when you check in. The rate compared favourably with all the other booking platforms. In addition I was able to extend my stay ie a late check out. So my stay was from 9am one day until 1pm the next to coincide with my flights for a total of A$150. Service was pleasant and efficient and I was upgraded for free to a Premier room on the seventh floor which meant a larger room with complimentary fruit and muffins and newspaper and a free fruit drink in the bar. It was comfortable, very clean and had great blackout curtains so I slept really well. The breakfast was included and was a standard hot and cold buffet. I did not eat in the restaurant but the menu looked fine, and the prices reasonable. Alternatively there are lots of street food stalls just out of the front gate (turn right) and a 711 a 5 minute walk away in the same direction. The neighbourhood is pretty run down but that's standard in Bangkok , at least, near the airport. The hotel also had a pool, gym and free wifi. All in all a really good choice and I would definitely stay there again.
I was using this hotel for an overnight stay. I was very pleased with it. I arrived at 1 AM but their representative was at the airport where they said, and the shuttle ran every 30 minutes and we were off to the hotel It was a short drive. I was quickly in my room. The room was great. The AC worked very well. The rooms were well maintained and very clean. I had a very pleasant sleep and was back to the airport the next morning. It might be a but more expensive than some of the other airport hotels but I thought it was well worth it. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was great and the wifi worked well and was included.
One of the most comfortable Hotels near the Airport areas. Rooms are large, wifi is very good, food is excellent and staff are efficient and helpful. Hotel has a nice gym, good lawn and nice walking spaces, I've marked this hotel for my next trip too.
The Best Western Premier Amaranth was a nice hotel however it is not very close to the airport. It took about half an hour to get to the hotel by taxi. We passed many other hotels which were closer. The room was comfortable with a good bed & fresh contemporary furniture. Nice new bathroom however our toilet did not flush well. We only stayed overnight so we did not use any of the restaurant/pool facilities which looked good. Staff were competent and they organised a wake up call and shuttle to the airport for the next morning which worked well.
I sometimes arrive late in Bangkok, or leave early in the morning, so I have tried several hotels close to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The Best Western Premier Amaranth is by far the best I have found, in terms of convenient location, comfort, quiet, service, wifi, free shuttle to the airport (less thtn 10 minutes away) and anything else a busy traveller might need. This is the one that I will always use in the future, and happily recommend it to others.
Stayed for a short overnighter and took advantage of the free shuttle service. The shuttle runs on a loop service, so you might have to wait at the airport. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Huge hotel with many rooms on each floor. Staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Not near to anywhere interesting but the hotel provides shuttle service to Mega Bangna Mall - a huge mall with plenty of space and shops but little soul. Coming back to hotel will be on your own though and be careful of dishonest cab drivers taking deliberate detours around the enormous airport circuit, even though its on meter, you end up paying up to 3 times more than a direct route. The bad thing about Bangkok these days are the taxi drivers, come across at least one dishonest driver every trip in recent years!
Stayed here for 1 night for an early morning flight. Its a lot nicer than we expected. Very clean and staff is very nice and helpful. We got an upgrade for our honeymoon to club level, which has a lot of complimentary perks. There is a local night market next to the hotel and a small bar with Thai Karaoke that is fun to visit. The complimentary shuttle to the airport is awesome, runs every hour. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.
Hotel was very nice overall for the price. Only negative was nearby housing. wee chose this hotel because it was close to airport and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! good experience overall..
Absolutely great place to stay. Close to the Airport, but not loud. Taxi from the Airport try to charge you 30% more the original price. Good music at the Bar. My stay was too short to give more details.
I stayed for one night before joining my tour in Bangkok. The rooms were large, clean, and had everything that you needed. We also ate at the restaurant and had the buffet, which was about 350 baht. Totally worth it- lots of very good food. The pool area is gorgeous and has a nice bar area next to it. I also used the workout room, which was clean and well stocked with towels.
I believe, this was the 10th time that i have been staying here, see previous reviews. However, service is still excellent, shuttle is convenient, breakfast, sleep comfort and rooms in general are very good. Have tried out this time the Market Village instead of Mega Bangna; Market Village is much closer, arund 50 to 60 Baht by taxi; but it is a smaller mall. It has plenty of restaurants, cafes as well as plenty of shops, but no department store. However, it is connected to HomePro as well as to Tesco. If you don't need a bigger mall like Mega Bangna then Market Village is an alternative, especially due to shorter distance from the hotel. Definitely will be back at Amaranth again in the future.
This is nice hotel, near suvarnabhumi airport, with shuttle service to and from airport and hotel Staff is helpfull and caring. Good thing about this hotel is that, they have special day packages ,24 hour stay package from check in time , so there is no compulsion to check in at 2 pm. we can check in according to our arrival time of flight even at odd hours also.
Once again n business trip, i opted for this hotel due to its proximity to airport and professional set up. to my surprise, they upgraded me as this was my third stay in less than one year. Suite is anytime big and felt royal.staff are very accommodating and food at restaurant has good variety. i had wonderful Thai food in the evening and breakfast offers variety of food be in continental or local. overall 10 out of 10
Stay for 1 night during a business trip to Bangkok. The hotel provide shuttle van to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport that you can preserve in advance. At the airport, you will find hotel transfer service staff at gate no.5 on 2nd floor of arrival hall. Greeting with special welcome drink and relax with instrumental music with piano at lobby bar. Comfortable deluxe room in size and full amenities. Wide range of buffet breakfast. Recommend for business short break and tourists.
Staying at this establishment, stopover to Krabi, arrived late night, Great location. Great value, very hospitable near Bangkok airport, 24 hour restaurant.. Food was great, would stay there again, would recommend this fine establishment
This Best Western is near Suvarnabhumi Airport, and the hotel shuttle delivered us safely and quickly around midnight. It is a beautifully designed hotel, with good food and a decent breakfast for $10. At $85 per night (room only) it is good value, and service is excellent. Note that the hotel is located in a semi-industrial area, there are only decrepit little sidewalk shops nearby, and it is 40 minutes from downtown Bangkok. Taxi to downtown is $15. There are two serious flaws with the hotel to be wary of. First, the downstairs lobby, lounge, and restaurant have a fair number of mosquitoes flying around, both daytime and evening. Second, the laundry service is daylight robbery. See the attached laundry price list: US$2 for a pair of socks, US$5.42 for a pair of chinos, US$4.28 for a shirt, US$1.85 for a t-shirt, and US$1.85 for a pair of panties. The laundry cost left a sour taste in the mouth.
It is kinda far from the city but convenient to the airport which was fine for us since our tour picked us up at hotel. Very nice room. Would definitely go back. Friendly staff. Had fresh fruit in room
We got 10 hour room ..with no check in check out timing restrictions as long as its not a night stay ..this was cool as we had a 13 hour lay over before our next flight. The email instruction for pickup was accurate...the guy was there where the email instructed us....the ride was 15 minutes...we were checked in in a breeze...breakfast was not included but for 10$ AUD ..we had a good range of vegetarian food (pancakes ...cakes danishes etc)...Wifi was complimentary and so was the airport shuttle...Very good choice...but a 1 hour ride to SIam Paragon nearly 300BHTS one way ... meant we were too far from downtown..but for transit ppl its suits ...
With a night arrival and morning departure it was logical to find somewhere close to the airport and this hotel proved to be a good choice. The free shuttle (which we had booked) was easy to find, check in a breeze and the room clean and comfortable. The breakfast (buffet style) was extremely good with so many choices and the staff all efficient and friendly. Very happy with our choice and would gladly stay again.
This was our third overnight stay at this very good hotel and it won't be our last! Everything runs so smoothly and efficiently. The free shuttle bus to and from the airport is in continuous operation ( except in the middle of the night) so there's very little waiting time at either end and the drivers are very helpful. Check in only took a few minutes and the "welcome back" comment was a nice touch. We were again upgraded to a club room which was very much appreciated and there was everything in the room that was needed. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable! Our luggage was delivered to the room promptly and all the staff we encountered were friendly and polite. There was a free newspaper in the morning. Breakfast was buffet style with regular refilling of the various dishes of food by the staff. Good choice of Thai and "western" breakfast dishes and the breakfast certainly sets you up for a long flight. Check out was again speedily efficient and after a few minutes wait we were on our way to the airport. ( return journey to the airport can be arranged by booking a time with the concierge the evening before) We would have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again.
We stayed for one night prior to catching a flight the next morning. We got an upgrade to a club room on check in which was much appreciated. The hotel is modern and well run and check in went smoothly. The room was large, modern, comfortable with a very comfortable (hard but not "Thai" hard) bed and excellent linen. The bathroom was roomy and the shower pressure very good. Their is a weird glass window between the bathroom and bedroom but there is a blind if needed. The club lounge was not much, help yourself to a cup of coffee and biscuit - literally that was it. We were really glad we didn't pay the extra $20 when booking for access. The pool was nice enough for an airport hotel with some effort going into making is a nice environment to spend some time. We used the gym in the morning - we were the only ones there, it had good quality equipment, well maintained and nicely air-conditioned. The gym had all the things you would want and we had a pretty good workout. At night the usual vast array of food carts sets up along the road about 100m from the front of the hotel. We walked for a couple of hundred metres and found a delicious wonton noodle soup cart with excellent soup for about $1.50US per bowl. We caught the shuttle both ways from the airport, it took about 15 mins in each direction and was very efficient. All in all an excellent airport hotel stay.
Best Western is a brand name i trust whether Im in the States, Korea, or in Thailand. Always consistent in their service, rooms, and cleanliness. Close to the airport and cool little shops right outside the hotel grounds. Their 24hr. room service options are incredible! We ordered their house burger which was perfect and huge and their pad thai was very delicious. Didnt have time for their breakfast buffet as our flight the following morning was early but when we came here 1 1/2 years ago, their buffet was awesome and I'm sure it still is~
With a frequent free 15 minute shuttle ride to the airport, the Best Western Amaranth is ideal for a stopover or an early flight. Particularly obliging staff, a good restaurant, pool, sauna, spa. The top floor executive lounge is a bit disappointing, and there's little of interest in the immediate neighbourhood, but the Amaranth admirably serves the purpose of an airport hotel at competitive prices. Would definitely stay there again.
On our first trip ever to Asia, we arranged a few extra flights to see certain areas of Thailand. We arrived I the late afternoon in Bangkok and needed a place to stay overnight and catch our net flight our in the morning. Little did we know that they provide a free shuttle to and from the airport which is approx. 20-25 minutes (need to research better next time). We arrived and the lobby is very welcoming as well as the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. They give you a complimentary drink ticket for each person that can be redeemed at their bar. We were so tired and needed rest after such a long flight that we didn't get a chance to use them. The room was nice and clean, the bed comfortable. We didn't check about the Wifi because we just showered, ordered room service and went to bed. The food we ordered, Pad-Thai Noodles was very good. We were very pleased with our quick overnight stay and so I give this hotel 4 out of 5 Z's for an overall experience.
Nice upscale hotel for a BestWestern. My wife and I were flying through to Krabi and had a layover in Bangkok and found this hotel on my app. There is a free airport shuttle, however the drive is a lot longer than it looks like on the GPS. Front desk staff was friendly and polite, but didn't speak English as well as other places we stayed around Thailand. Our room was clean and comfortable with robe and slippers to relax in. We really enjoyed our night there. Thanks Best Western.
After long delays travelling from Cape Town, we were forced to stop in Bangkok for 1 night before continuing our travels the next morning. We decided on staying at the Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport. I was pleasantly surprised from the minute we stepped into the foyer. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle service which came in very handy! We were warmly welcomed and could check into our room immediately on arrival. Then also spoilt with a complimentary upgrade to the the hotel's club level on the 7th floor. The room is spacious and the bed super comfortable. It has tea/coffee making facilities, a bar-fridge, bath & shower, flat screen tv etc etc. The pool area is well kept and a quiet haven amidst the busy city. The hotel also has a lovely spa and offer special deals on their Jet-lag spa treatment. The RedBrown lobby lounge offers happy hour specials and live music from 8pm. The food there is delicious and not priced too badly for a hotel restaurant. The staff impressed us all the way - so friendly and couldn't do more! Thank you so much - we will be back!
Nice Airport hotel 12km from airport Bangkok. Excellent reception and nice and friendly staff. Very good and clean rooms. Top swimming pool. Restaurant not so good. Some of the staff not speak English and food quality not so good. Very expensive food and drinks. Hotel transport to airport very good.
This hotel was comfortable, clean, and had spacious rooms with the necessity of proximity to the airport. There is a free shuttle bus, though the schedule is less frequent than one might expect. The staff are friendly and this was a most convenient stay as I got some sleep prior to my next flight. Stress free, clean comfortable, and inexpensive...really all you need for a brief stay.
We used this hotel twice in April. Rooms clean. Restaurant is very good. Breakfast (not included) is good. Rooms are big and have a balcony. You get welcome drinks and checkin was very quick. Nothing to complain. The shuttle is very convenient. Definitely recommended and we will be back!
We stayed one night before early flight from Bangkok. Perfect with free shuttle to airport. Room was good size, we got upgraded to premiere club room when we checked in. Great service. Ate in the 24/7 restaurant. Food was ok, service was slow.
Used twice as a stop over. Nice room, nice food table service rather poor. Unable to offer peppermint tea for breakfast although there was some in the room, and the only wine available by the glass was Chardonnay. On both occasions the answer was just 'no'. Convenient for the airport either 15 or 45 min transfer depending on traffic.
The Best Western is a great airport hotel for stopover in BKK. Rooms were very comfortable, bed and shower were excellent. The pool area was nice area to relax. The only complaint I have was the lack of western TV. No CNN, BBC, or FOX to catch up on the news. The bar area is nice, yet a little expensive. The Airport shuttle is free, but you must book it and allow 30 minutes. It is a 15 to 20 minutes to drive to the airport.
for stopover in bangkok this probably the best hotel in terms of price food location & free transfer. bangna mega mall is also quite close. breakfast is huge. pool is also very good. a 7-11 is only 8 min walking distance.
I used to spend the nights at this hotel before boarding the airplane at Suvannaphume International Airport. The room is quite nice with the small balcony for every room. I found out that most guests are Chinese group tours who also staying there for connecting the flights so don't expect the quiet noise at all. And in the middle of the nice I was woken up from theie noices getting in and out from the rooms nearby. If you have no trouble sleeping and are not local people, this hotel is fine coz the hotel provide shuttle van service to pick u up and drop off at the airport. But you have to check the van schedule quite well, if your flight has not match with the schedule you may have to wait for them for an hour. I would not recommend this hotel for Thai citizen who have the cars and expect that can park the car at the hotel Coz the hotel will charge for the parking fee daily which is more expensive than airport parking fee!!!

Regarding the parking, the hotel allow the guests to park their cars for three nights per one night stay and charge on the forth night. Moreover, although our hotel parking price is 50 THB/night higher than Suvarnabhumi International Airport, we have provided high security checked in every single cars to ensure guest's car is in safety and secure during parking with us. I thank you again for sharing your experience, your feedback is very important to us and we hope to have the pleasure to welcome you, your family or friend to Best Western Premier Suvarnabhumi Airport. I used this hotel as a stopover on my return flight back to UK, i found it to be excellent in all ways, great staff, lovely food, clean and pleasant rooms, great location for the Airport (15 mins by free shuttle) and a very reasonable price, i will always use it in future.
1) Pros: + good breakfast + transfer to the airport (but have to book it in advance, upon check-in) + good choice for over-night stay + good beds 2) Cons: - we took club privilege room: don't worth payed many for it at all. Welcome fruit plate is a single apple to share among 3 guests. Poor food in this privilege lounge, which is very small - no territory to have a walk - long check-in
We arrived around 7:30 from the airport (it takes a bit longer than you would think). The front desk was awesome! They checked us in quickly and we were upgraded. We had our 4 year old son with us and they were great with him too! We went to our room and cleaned up then headed down for dinner in the restaurant. Now this is the reason I will not give the hotel 5 stars. The waitstaff was awful. They were not friendly and welcoming. After we sat down my son grabbed for the salt and pepper shakers, one of the staff ripped them out of his hand. I agree that he should not have grabbed for them but I am his mom, I will take care of what he does wrong. I would have corrected the situation had that lady not been so rude. It then took them awhile to come take our order. Finally after ordering we were sitting there and my son was playing with his silverware, again a waitress came over and took them out of his hand, she then brought over plastic silverware. First I again am his mom, second, we should have been asked if we would like plasticware for our son, the staff should not be making these decisions. After receiving our dinner we were never asked if we liked it or if we wanted anything else. I left a bit earlier with my son (leaving my husband and our friend) on the way out the staff didn't say anything to me. I just found the situation to be a horrible unpleasant experience. We had an early check-out the next morning so the front desk staff had breakfast ready for us in togo boxes. Again - the front desk staff was awesome. The rooms were clean and it was quiet too!
Stayed here last night, still here at 9am. Beautiful grounds, nice room. Great breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Asian & International foods. Something for everyone. I think it was about 92 baht, (about $2.62 US), for cab fair from Suvarnabhumi airport. I arrived on at late flight and wanted to stay somewhere near the airport. I will definitely stay here again.
Everything was so nice with so many complementary helps, like shoes being polished, two shirts washed and ironed, all contents of the mini bar complementary, secured floor access, executive lounge, complementary internet, breakfast, shuttle to and from the airport and more!
Excellent hotel: Comfortable, quiet, clean, friendly and efficient staff... No complaints whatsoever. The airport shuttle bus left on time but took 30 minutes, door to door, rather than 15 as stated in some comments, with traffic not being particularly dense on a Tuesday morning.
Amaranth Hotel - one of the better hotels around Suvarnabhumi Airport.Reasonably priced includes breakfast and shuttle service. Make sure you order shuttle bus online when booking.Pick up is organised-Look for the man in the pink suit. No complaints Best Western know what the traveller needs and that is a good clean room and quality breakfast. Yes best brekkie we've had anywhere in BKK hotels over the years. Reception area - bar area - restaurant area are all well presented. Forget travelling into Sukhumvit to get ripped off in future. Amaranth will more than suit requirements for a tired traveller. Has all facilities and remember its Thailand - the surrounding areas cannot be whinged about/dont expect a Grand canyon view in a developing country. We'll be back!
For the money, this is a great place to stay near the Suvarnabhumi Airport. We used the free shuttle once we landed, which was quick and convenient. The breakfast was also something! There was a miscommunication about the bill. We were charged for one breakfast when it should have been included in the room rate.
On our flight from Switzerland to Cambodia we had to make a one night stopover at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. Our choice to stay at the BW Premier Amaranth Airport Hotel was very good. The rather new hotel is very nice, quiet location, good facilities (pool etc.) and fine restaurant. Our room was very pleasant, clean and enough spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Regular free Shuttle Buses from/to Airport (trip takes about 15 minutes). We would definitely book this hotel again for short stopovers at Bangkok Airport.
Free airport shuttle with reservation. I emailed shuttle request with flight arrival time (pick up at Gate 5, 2nd floor by friendly rep in pink jacket), given a random but much appreciated upgrade to a suite. Enjoyed a drink by the beautiful pool hedged with blooming plumeria (wished we had a full day to spend there), had a lovely nut spicy dinner (note for next time-ask for less heat), both us us slept well in quiet, clean, modern room, had prompt room service then shuttled to flight. A perfect stay-over and would consider another day to enjoy the nicely appointed hotel. Not for a long stay as it us far from tourist sites, other restaurants, etc
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and we booked a Premier room which was on the 7th floor. The bedroom was spacious and clean. We had free minibar everyday which included sodas, beers, water and juices. There was air conditioning, a LCD TV with lots of foreign TV channels, a small safe box and a desk with few chairs. The balcony on this last floor was tiny, something like 50 cm wide but there are so many mosquitoes in the evening that it's better to keep the doors closed. The view from this hotel is not very attractive. If you are on the road side you will see the sunset, but don't expect more. The other side isn't better. The bathroom was big with a bathtub and a shower. It's separated from the bedroom by big glass windows. It didn't bother us but if you want more privacy you can put the curtains down. There were lots of amenities which belong I think to the Premier room, like the daily newspaper for example, one or 2 clothes per day to the free laundry and show shining. The bed room was quiet, but by night you can sometimes listen the traffic from the road. It didn't bothered us, we slept very well. There was free Wi-Fi which was working very well in the room but also everywhere in the hotel. Because we had a Premier room, on the same floor there was a small lounge with free water, juices, coffee, tea and small cakes. As I mentioned it earlier there were lots of mosquitoes in the evening and even inside at the lobby. So be prepared, wear long sleeves and trousers or use mosquito repellent. In the day time it's ok you don't need to worry about them. The breakfast was very good with a large choice of Western food, fresh fruits and pastries. The restaurant in the evening has a good choice of Thai food, what we ate. It was very good and the service was excellent. Like we had a Premier room, we had 10% discount (remind it to the waitresses to be sure they don't forget it). For the lunch we had snacks at the pool bar. Everything was fine. The swimming-pool is big enough. Because of the surrounding sometimes there are bad smells brought by the wind but you get used quickly. In the evening be careful there are lots of mosquitoes. I went to see the fitness center and the sauna. The Fitness center has few training equipment like bicycles, cross-trainers, treadmills, but also benches, dumbbells and 3 machines to work-out. They supply the towels, like at the pool. The sauna is.... not a real sauna. It looks like a sauna but the door was wide opened, it wasn't hot inside and I didn't see anything to raise the heat or to throw water on hot stones. So don't go there if you want a real sauna, just stay outside, it's hot enough :) They also have a Spa with massages and treatments but it'd over-priced compared to what you can find downtown. The hotel is nice for a short stay. The outside garden with all those small ponds are very nice. They provide free shuttle service to go to the airport. The time to go to the airport depends of the traffic. Calculate about 15-20 minutes when the traffic is fine, otherwise it can take a bit more. We had a nice stay in this hotel and if we have the opportunity we will go back.
The hotel was "no bells and whistles" but good for overnight transit as it was so close to the airport: - Rates included breakfast but nothing special - A big plus was free shuttle van to and from airport. We actually utilised this service to go back to the airport in order to catch the airport link train to town for dinner - Room was clean and spacious - Bathroom was functional & clean If you are looking for a hotel near the airport which provides free shuttles then this one will be fine!
It was 16 minutes from the hotel to the airport. Breakfast was ok. Orange juice was terrible. It tasted like juice mix powder. A welcome complimentary drink was refreshing. It was pineapple juice with fresh ginger root. The bed was not comfortable and too hard for us. We were given room with bath tube. It was not easy to get in and out the shower. No regular shower in our room. It drained poorly so we ended up standing in dirty water after showering. In the middle of the night we heard a dog from outside the hotel. We will not stay here again.
This was a great hotel to stay for the 5 days stay in Bangkok. Quiet, clean and polite hotel staff. Really good concierge services and good Thai food selection at the restaurant. Only that the distance from downtown Bangkok makes the commute longer than I would have taught. Taxi to Bang Na, then BTS to downtown. The BTS is probably your best transportation method for Bangkok. So don't hesitate to buy the daily, unlimited station, ticket for 140BTH (~$4.00 US/$5.00 CDN).
If you have an early flight the next day then this hotel is an excellent choice. It's just few mins away from the bangkok int'l airport . Upon arrival we were given welcome drink and check in was smooth and prompt. The room was clean and neat. Staffs were all smiles and very helpful with our queries. The bar and the restaurant were awesome there was a live music as well. Overall a lovely hotel.
Stayed at BEST WESTERN as I needed an overnight stay close to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Complimentary bus nice and clean and room great. I received a wake up call on time and a further call to advise next Bus departure back to airport. Highly recommend this Hotel.
Took this hotel because of its 24 hour Flexi Rate and had been here before a few years ago and it was ok then and found nothing much had changed - fairly basic but clean and comfy beds. Shuttle Bus Free service is excellent and regular. When you come out after Customs go to Exit B and then to Gate No 5 on the 2nd floor of the Arrival Hall (nearby the Information Counter. There are quite a few other Shuttle Bus Operators there but Amaranths is so easy to find as they wear a Pink Uniform Jacket holding the Best Western sign up for you to see. We stayed for 48 hours and our Bangkok to Amsterdam Flight was cancelled with only 8 hours to go before we found out and were allowed to use the Shuttle Service (with no-one else in it) again free of charge to the Airport to check with Airline more details and again free Shuttle back. Good old-fashioned Service - we loved it. When under stress itis good to know that this hotel does anything they can to help. We asked for quiet room and got one away from everything - very happy about that. They have a Tour Desk that has very reasonable pricing and quite a choice/variety of tours - we took the Private Bangkok Canal Tour and it stopped at a number of unexpected extras and guide took his time and stopped when we wanted to but carried on when we wanted to move on - Perfect. The Canals themselves were very limited compared to similar Canal Tour about 5 or more years ago. Most canal entrances were blocked off so just the main stream canals but still plenty of them and took 1.5 hours approx - very interesting still.
We stayed here due to our early flight next morning from Suvarnabhumi. We arrived around 7 pm and was upgraded to a premier room. The hotel is quite new and our taxi driver had some issues finding the hotel. Our room on 7th floor was very nice, and during our 2 weeks vacation this was the best bed (and duvet) we slept in. We also had dinner and drinks in the restaurant and bar, and both were excellent. The hotel has shuttle bus service to and from the airport every 30 minutes. This was the main reason why we chose this hotel. The shuttle bus service was on time and was only a 15 minutes drive from the hotel. Due to our early flight we didn't have time for breakfast, but the hotel provided us with a breakfast package (consisting of water, juice, sandwich, an egg and pastry). Considering the location and price (we paid 83 USD for a standard room, but was upgraded) I would say that this hotel is perfect if you have an early departure from Suvarnabhumi.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights as we arrived late one night from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and had an early flight 36 hours later from BKK. It wasn't worth going into the city for us, so this was a good option that kept us out of the Bangkok traffic. In summary, the hotel is clean, has good facilities and comfortable beds, and served its purpose. We would use it again if we ever have another early flight from Bangkok. Even though it's a little drive away from the airport, it was the better option given the cost of the Novotel. The Novotel is literally at the airport, but is much more expensive. The only negative things about this hotel were the mosquitoes that were pretty much everywhere and the shuttle service was not as good as other airport hotels in other cities. As for the mosquitoes, we had some in the room, as well as in the restaurant and lobby. I needed to use mosquito repellent while eating breakfast (and it's an indoor restaurant). Other than that, we had a good stay. For more info about the shuttle, continue reading :-). Be forewarned that the hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive to/from the airport. Although they offer a free shuttle service, it only comes every 30 minutes and if you are as unlucky as we were, the next shuttle will be full as they only seat max 11 people. Thus, you will have to wait for another one (a total of 45 minute wait for us). They really need more shuttles and better organization (e.g. ask for arrival times and plan more shuttles during the peak times). We arrived at 21:30 and the next day when we finished dinner at the hotel restaurant, I also saw a lot of people in the lobby (around 22:30). Thus, evenings must be a regularly busy time. The shuttle waiting area is also not well signed at the airport, so make sure you know where you are going (right next to door/gate 5 -- but inside the airport, not outside like at other airports). Also, make sure to book the time for your airport return shuttle as soon as you check-in. Otherwise, the return shuttle will get booked up and you will have to take one 30 mins earlier or later.
Not near the airport at all about 15-20 minute drive. Check in was quite slow. Very comfortable hotel with a nice pool area, nice rooms and good breakfast. We were pre warned of the vicious mosquitos and didn't believe it until my husband woke up with big angry bites. But this is a good hotel to stay to be close to Suvarnabhumi.
This is a good place to stay especially if you have an early morning flight. It is comfortable and runs its own shuttle to the airport every 30 minutes. We had a nice room and with the breakfast included was excellent value.
I enjoyed my stay at Best Western and overall the hotel was much nicer than I had expected. The shuttle staff are all very friendly and I was able to get to and from the airport easily. The cute added bonus was a boxed breakfast they give you if you have an early flight the next day. There are Danishes, an egg, and (beware) water and juice. Finish the liquids before security!
The hotel being near to airport (taxi costs around 150-200 baht, they also have a shuttle bus) makes it a perfect stay between flights. We stayed for 1 night and 7th floor. The view was not that amazing BUT the room was outstanding. Very clean room and hotel. very nice staff and a interesting welcome drink :) The bathroom was interesting (being made of glass), with bathtub and a separate shower. Definitely would recommend
very affordable, no complaints, nice room, room service was good and affordable, staff freindly, and all for under $90/night local surrounding area is an evening market, a bit sketchy, but we explored safely
easy pick up from airport, quick check in, good facilities, good buffet breakfast, the kitchen was still open when we arrived which was after 9, massaman curry and soft shell crab was delicious, I would definitely stay again.
Not expecting particularly great things from a large chain but we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was comfortable with excellent facilities and the food very good. Handy for the airport.
The hotel provided free transport from the airport to the hotel and back which was very quick and efficient. The bookin was ultra quick and we were offered a special price on breakfast if booked and paid @ checkin. We were upgraded to an executive suite which was lovely and it included the use of the executive lounge. Dinner was beautiful although the drinks were very weak and small. Breakfast was disappointing and average but despite that I would return to this hotel.
Locate near -but not next to- the airport, this hotel is a good option for a one day layover. We arrived mid morning and had a midnight flight. The 15 minute airport shuttle was on time and efficient. Checkin was efficient and pleasant. The rooms are large, well equipped. The TV had a few English channels, a mixture of other international channels and a full range of Thai channels. The rooms were quiet with no airport noise. The view from the rooms are not great, they overlook a bunch of industrial areas and small workers accommodation surrounded by a swampy lake. But we weren't here for the view. We spent most of our time at the pool which is very nice and clean. We had both lunch and dinner there. The western options, eg burgers and salad were quite average in terms of quality and taste. The burger was quite greasy and the Caesar salad was fairly basic. The Thai options were better but still we found the satay sticks and curry to be very greasy. There's virtually no other food options nearby. My wife used the spa and albeit a bit pricey the service was excellent. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and thought it was good value for money but would try to look for nearby eating alternatives if we go again, though given the location I'm doubtful there is anything in close proximity.
Nice big room. Bathroom can be cleaner. Free shuttle bus to airport about 15 minute which is appreciated. In dinning room staff are not friendly and not efficient no smile. We come to Thailand on a regular basis in different hotel and the Thai are usually always nice and smiling and helpful. We were disappointed about th staff. Nice pool.
This was a very nice hotel with good amenities and food. The car service to pick up and return from the airport is excellent. The restaurant has a nice buffet with eggs to order. We only stayed one night but would book this hotel again when visiting Bangkok.
I wouldn't technically say that this is an “airport hotel” since it's a 15 minute drive from the terminal building but that said, it's a good option for £50/night as it's half the price of the Novotel which is next door to the terminal building. There is a free airport shuttle to the hotel which is efficient but you do need to pre-book in advance. Check in is very professional and seamless – if a little soul-less. The rooms are pretty basic – they're decent enough except for the pillows which are horrible bouncy foam things - but they do have free wi-fi which is a plus. We didn't try breakfast but did have dinner in the restaurant which was also ok. There's absolutely nothing special about this hotel but if you need to stay near the airport and don't want to get ripped off by the Novotel, it's a good choice.
Really impressed with this airport hotel. Was a little worried as to if the shuttle bus would be at door 5 but there it was. A lovely man met us and explained that the bus was on its way.10 minutes and we were there. Everything went smoothly , quick check in and was asked if we would like to book the shuttle to the airport the next day. The shuttle was in half hour slots.A lovely room awaited us. Slippers, dressing gowns provided. great bathroom with good quality shampoo, shower gel etc. Tea and coffee in room. Bar was lovely to sit in and very pleasant bar staff .A fantastic place to unwind after a flight. Breakfast was very good . Lovely pool to sit around with bar but sadly we didnt have time to enjoy. Shuttle to airport was on time and very efficient. I wish all airport hotels were like this.
not far from the air port, well priced clean and nice, use the hotel free airport shuttle and not a taxi the taxi company do not like to come there and will ... on the way. if I ever have to spend a night at the BKK airport again I am sure I will stay at this hotel again.
I have stayed here many times and enjoy it always. It is easy access by free hotel airport shuttle (collect at exit door 5) and is about 5-10 mins drive. It has all the amenities you need and is good value for money.
The Best Western Premier Line are great hotels with all the amenities. Our room was great & the staff were all helpful & friendly. We did a one nighter while flying through Bangkok airport on an international flight. Airport pick up & drop off were included.
If you are looking for a "name brand" hotel near the airport for the purpose of being near the airport, this is a great hotel for price, value and service. There are cheaper local hotels nearby but being senior ladies on first night layover after long flight, we chose "name brand" and were not disappointed. It suited our needs right from pickup at airport to return.
We booked this for a 1 night stopover between flights. The free shuttle was reliable, efficent, easy to locate at the airport. The checkin was easy, speedy, room just as expected. We spent an afternoon around the outdoor pool, with a beer, a nice pool, with great views of the aircraft leaving BKK. we ate in the restaurant, as it was easy, the massaman curry was the best in the whole trip. It is a 15min trip from the airport, but with a saving of 80GBP in comparison to the Novotel a great find!
Like other reviews I thought this was closer to the airport than it actually was but i was happy with accommodations when we arrived. We missed our shuttle due to a 2 hour flight delay(arrived at 2 am) and I was anxious that our room may have been given away but it was ready and waiting for our sleepy heads. Cleanliness could be improved abut but nice staff, good breakfast and good for a quick over night.
We book a Premier Club Room. We pay about 90 euro for the room, little expensive for 4 stars. The bigger surprise was when we check in: they requested my debit card witch I paid the room and they take 2000 Thb as guarantee. I was very upset for that, on Hotel site was no mention about this "guarantee". I ask what is about, and they say is a precaution for them if we use the Spa or the mini bar ( our room already has minibar included). I tell them that is a abuse what are they doing... the answer was that the hotel is a very respectable 4 stars hotel and is normal to request that. I swear, is the first time in my life when I pay that "guarantee". They say if everything is Ok I will receive money back in 2 weeks.... I will see that... Hope that will be no problem with give me back this abusive guarantee... The welcome fruits were one 50 grams apple and one small cookie for me and my husband... with one message "With compliments"... this make me laugh... and still do. The hotel is very isolated for the city ( 20 minute with taxi to the first BTS station), is situated in a poor zone of Bangkok , nothing to see, nothing to buy, nothing to do, no shopping... The breakfast was OK... the services of free shuttle OK... that are the only things OK about this hotel. The view from our window was an dirty and bad smell lake and some garbage containers)... that is a view for 90 euro/night + 2000 Thb guarantee. I will never ever choose this hotel again... better choose one central hotel, they are cheapers than this (we stay 3 nights in Windsor Suites & Conventions Sukumvit, is much cheaper about 55 euro/ night, very good location, best services and bigger rooms and great view of Bangkok and for going to airport I took a Public taxi that cost about 400 Thb). Sorry, but not recommended... very expensive for what offer.
Although it's only 15 minutes to the airport, it's in an area where there's nothing nearby. Having said that it's perfect for early/late flights. The rooms are good, the staff are very efficient and it has a pretty good restaurant. The lobby bar is more than adequate. The airport shuttle service is also good. Can't really fault it.
We stayed here as a layover going to Japan. We picked it because it was close to the airport, but it takes about 15 minutes with their free shuttle. We arrived to the hotel about 8:00 pm and the hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Upon check-in, they offered us 2 free drink coupons at the bar which I thought was very nice. We went to the room and it was a typical airport hotel with no thrills about it. No tub, only shower, small balcony but clean. We went down to the restaurant, which only had one other person eating in it. The menu was nice, food good, and reasonably priced. We paid and left a tip because the service was good. Well, we were the only other person there, I would hope it would be nice. I left a 20 baht tip and later realized this place au8tomatically includes a tip and service charge on the bill. Hummmm, after spending 2 weeks in Thailand, this was the only place that did that. In a country of no tipping disturbed me a little. The front desk also offers you a wake up call and schedules your free shuttle to the airport which was very efficient. They offer free Wi-Fi for 2 devices but the service kept dropping off in the room. So, if you need a good, clean, no frills-no thrills hotel, this place is very nice.
Free and easy shuttle service to airport , quick check in very friendly and helpful staff ,the hotel is immaculate ,are room was spacious and inviting great bath. Restaurant food was delicious nicest curry we had had in are 4 weeks travelling around Thailand , the pool and spa were just what was needed ,I would not hesitate staying there again
What we thoughtwas anairport hotel is 12 kilometers from the sirport. They do have s shuttle, When we checked in, they gave us a room at the far end of the hotel even knowing we were older and had a flight the next morning. Room was fine, but far away. Weird shower - took awhile to figure out. For breakfast we wanted ala carte, but were forced to get expensive buffet. We won't stayhere again.
... As a quick stop if you have a flight out from BKK the next morning. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast ok and staff on checkin and checkout friendly and efficient. The restaurant is of course more on the expensive side and serves westernized type of food. Outside the hotel if you follow the street to the right you will find some open markets. We would definitely come back.
This hotel is 15 minutes from the airport by shuttle. The shuttle service is free. Breakfast is not free but should have been given the cost of the room. The room was quite spacious but should have been checked before being assigned. For example, the card key to insert once inside the room to turn on the power did not work and maintenance staff had to be called to fix it. The in-room safe was locked and could not be used until staff came to open it.
Best hotel in area for the price and I've tried them all. Food was a let down very tasty but as usual in thailand one of the 2 dishes was stone cold by the time it arrived to room. Will stay again as the room is clean and modern. Only staying for 4 hours so will try the breakfast next time I stay.
I've lived in a 5-star in downtown Bangkok and a self-declared-5-star in downtown Chiang Mai, and then I flew back to spend last night here before my flight tomorrow. I must say this hotel is the only decent one in my whole trip. It totally outbeats the other two - and costs less! Room is well decorated. Staffs are well trained enough to know luggage delivery to your room. Overall a highly RECOMMEND. Wish I had more time here.
We stayed one night because we arrived in Bangkok late. We couldn't find the shuttle bus, so we took taxi from airport which was 150baht. The hotel is huge, room was pretty big with clean, decent sized bathroom and looked modern. But mosquitos, don't usually get that in hotels we stay at...there was a nice gym and pool which we didn't use. The price we paid was reasonable, a good option for quick stay over.
My wife and I spent 3 weeks traveling around Thailand, and we stayed in 4 different hotels during that time. This was unquestionably the BEST place we stayed. From the check-in (the desk spoke pretty good English), to the welcome drinks and the shuttle scheduling service, everything was top-notch. After a long day of travel, we opted to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner. The ambiance was nice, and the food/service was excellent. Our room was clean and quiet, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The shower pressure was great, and my wife was happy to see a bathtub, something we hadn't seen in any other Thailand hotel we stayed in. When it was time to leave for BKK (we had a 5am wake up), the airport shuttle was organized and prompt with no hiccups or confusion. The only thing I would have liked to see in our room was an iron and ironing board, but I know that's not something very common in Asia, and hardly even qualifies as a complaint. All in all, this is an easy 5 stars, and somewhere I would undoubtedly stay again.
Spacious, new and stylish lobby met us when the free shuttle service that had brought us from the airport without problems, let us off at the hotel. The check-in was fast and informative done by a smiling and friendly young lady. We felt welcome! The room was very nice and spacious. Beds were soft and comfortable. Bathroom had both shower and bathtub, and the waterpressure was fine, with hot and cold water. AC worked fine. Wifi worked very well. Only complaint is no power outlets near the bed table, that gave us some problems as we need it during sleep. Pool area was nice, also the gym, with new manuals. We did not try the spa, as it was very pricey, but the facilities were modern. We had a good sleep, and went down for a breakfast that was plentiful and a good start of the day, with egg-station, varied fresh bread, fruit, cereals and the typical things at a hotel buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and effective, and it was a lot of free tables. Thumbs up! Tried to register my Eurobonus-card to get points/miles for the stay, but the reception members had no training in this. They wanted me to enroll their own Best Western Rewards program, that I do not want. Being to several Best Western hotels worldwide, this was the first time I had this problem. The staff should get better training in this procedures! Check out went smooth too, and we got easily to the airport again with the shuttle service. We will absolutely come back! This total pack with shuttle, room and breakfast was very convenient! We also tried Bua Chompoo, the hotel's own restaurant. That was a more disapointing experience. The restaurant was nice and modern, with friendly staff. A little stiff and formal style, and then a little pricey too, but with a varied menu. That in mind it really irritated me to get the starter and the main course served at the same time! You should really know not to do that in a restaurant at a hotel with 4-5 stars. The crab spring rolls were very tasteful, but the quesadilla was really boring, without sour cream and guacemole. The worst was the daiquiri!!! It tasted chemicals, and in best case washing soap. Really awfull! I usually drink up my daiquiris even if it is not top notch, but this cocktail was so awful, I only managed to drink half of it.
Great location, clean, efficient and friendly. Very good rooms and a lovely pool area. Spa looked very nice, but over priced. Airport shuttle every 30 minutes. Perfect choice for the last day prior to airport and the return to reality.
est Western Suvarnabhumi Airport I had an early flight on the 22nd January and stayed here all night on the 21st January and left 2am on the 22nd. I was booked to the executive floor which had a free mini-bar, access to a free executive lounge for snacks and hot drinks and breakfast included. The hotel is some way from the airport but there is a bookable free shuttle service. As you would expect from an American franchise as big as Best Western every thing was really well run. Check-in was quick and problem free and the room was quiet large and clean. The area around the hotel is a wee bit basic and on the side I stayed which looked towards the airport there isn't much of a view beyond a stagnant pool and some workers living quarters. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bit of a problem with mosquitoes, a few were in my room but were dealt with by some spray and the air conditioning. Also the bar area had quite a few flying around although I don't think I got bitten ! It was only those two areas though and wasn't a big problem. The room I had was quiet and ideal for me as I had a long sleep before my early departure. Although the rate I paid was expensive about 4000/Baht/night it was pretty much what I expected for a high end hotel close to an international airport - and as I was paying for comfort and predictability before flying back to London I was not disappointed. Couldn't fault it, very happy.
Our one night stopover at the Hotel was very pleasant, we were upgraded when we arrived and the shuttle service too and from the hotel was excellent. ( Meeting point just inside Exit door 5, look for the bright pink jackets) The Hotel is approximately a 15 to 20 minute ride from the airport. We were offered a free fruit drink on arrival and decided to book in for breakfast the following morning which was very comprehensive at a cost of approximately £6.50. Would use this hotel again but didn't make use of all the facilities as we had been travelling all day and just wanted to sleep.
i had to arrive late evening and i was looking for decent hotel within budget. knowing that Lat kra bang area could be little shady, i really appreciated this property. N.ice big room with decent breakfast. ideal for business travellers
After scouring the web for airport stopover hotels, we settler on the Amaranth. For us, travelling as 2A and 2C, the Novotel was simply to expensive as we needed two rooms. The Amaranth seemed to offer the right balance of proximity and quality that we were looking for. We booked two deluxe rooms (interconnecting) for less than the price of one room at the Novotel. The rate includes full buffet breakfast, shuttle bus transfers and free in-room WIFI. The Amaranth really exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The pickup and drop off service was seamless and hassle free. There is an airport representative at the terminal exit who escorts you to the waiting shuttle. Staff are on hand to load your bags which is helpful with kids in tow. We timed our exit from the terminal perfectly, as we walked out and located the airport rep, he hurried us onto the shuttle and it departed immediately. From the time we picked up our bags off the conveyor belt to checkin in was only 15mins. Sure the hotel is not "next" to the airport, rather a 10-15min traffic free drive. That is infinitely better than trying to battle traffic into the city areas. The rooms themselves are spacious, well appointed, modern, clean and very functional. Bathrooms and showers are very very nice and roomy as well. Beds are large and comfy. For what you pay, the room really are great. Breakfast was equally impressive. A full continental and hot buffet breakfast, including an egg chef for eggs and omelettes cooked to order. Check-out and checkin was efficient and on leaving you simply need to book (to the half hour) which shuttle you want and away you go. So whether you are just beginning your holiday or on your way home, if you are looking for a nice room, a hot shower in a clean bathroom, efficient airport transfers at a great price, why look anywhere else.
The title says it all really.stayed one night before heading home & had a really nice time here.its convenient & nice to wake up fresh before a long flight & not have to worry about getting to the airport before an early takeoff.the rooms are basic but I enjoyed the hotel for what it was.we had a really nice evening meal here also.
This hotel is not very close to the airport (about 20 mins by shuttle bus), albeit closer than the downtown hotels. The free shuttle bus service was great to have both directions. We arrived from the airport after midnight, and had to wait over half an hour (!) in the reception because they couldn't find our reservation (which we had made months in advance via a travel agent). They should have just given us a room straight away (and sorted the booking mess out afterwards), as the hotel was not fully booked. As a result, we were tired and annoyed. When we finally got to bed, we found a gecko in the ceiling directly above the bed, but were too tired to do anything about it.
We usually stay at the Novotel at the airport which is expensive, so decided to try this hotel as an alternative and were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel looks as if it has been revamped and is really nice - the outside walkways are all very tasteful and well kept, and the corridors/breakfast area are also great. We were delighted by the pool area in particular. We had an afternoon and an evening here before flying home the next morning and pretty much had the pool to ourselves for the afternoon. It is a fantastic pool, free towels and plenty of sunbeds and can be highly recommended. We had lunch at the pool restaurant which was great - they even accommodated a particular request from my husband, and is also to be recommended. The bedrooms are great with good wifi, but we were really disappointed that there were so many mosquitos in our bedroom - my husband got bitten to pieces overnight! They need to address this issue as it wasn't just a few mozzies, there were loads of them despite our best efforts to kill them! An annoyance. We tried this hotel as an experiment to see the advantage over the Novotel and actually, this is a much better hotel in many ways, particularly the pool. However, location for us is of prime consideration and this hotel is just a little bit too far out of the way. We went into downtown Bangkok in the evening (as we always do), and getting back was a pain in the neck! We also were squashed into a full-to-capacity shuttle to the Aiport in the morning which wasn't a great experience. Personally we prefer that we can catch the train directly to the Novotel at the airport to allow us to go out with confidence, and walk into the airport with our luggage to catch our flight but otherwise we would stay here again. However, this hotel is in many ways (other than location) a better hotel - recommended.
I came with my family - spouse and a 3yr girl, 8mnth boy. So i asked a baby crib on reservation. But it wasn't prepared. The Worse is the crib has come with very dirty and dusty, bumper wasn't equipped around the guards. So my poor child kept heading the poles and crying. Mosquitoes were everywhere even in the room. Shower was poor pressure and temperature wasn't stable. i titled Not bad because of the free shuttle and breakfast included but couldn't recommend it to anyone who just wants to stay a night around the airport.
Check in was quite fast, probably less than 5min. The room was quite good. I didnt mind the view overlooking old houses and dirty canal. It was quite rather something like "food for thought". The staffs are great, warm and friendly. We didnt have time to try the food, thus we cant say much about it. The only complaint is the wifi. We stayed in 6th floor, in basic, every 2min we had to reconnect. Thank you and much appreciate your effort!
The Shuttle option was really easy, the staff friendly and a prompt check in. The pool is great, nice way to spend time chilling in between flights. Well worth stopping over for a night before the long haul. The restaurant for lunch served a great Masaman and Breakfast put on a great selection.
Due to our flight getting cancelled, we got to stay here for one night. Although we didn't choose to stay here, we had an overall good experience and would consider this hotel again if we had a late night flight or a stopover in Bangkok. The room was decent and decor seemed to be new. Food at the restaurant was decent and nothing fancy. To kill time, nearby attractions include a large shopping mall with an IKEA store. There is a hotel shuttle that regularly drops off guests at this mall. The front desk was very friendly and kind to provide the information.
This hotel is about a ten minute free shuttle ride from Suvarnabhumi airport. We had a snack in the bar area & there was some pleasant live music there on the night we stayed. The hotel was clean & the staff efficient. Great breakfast buffet in the morning. Overall a pleasant stopover.
We stayed twice at the Amaranth the night before flying back to Europe. We liked it very much both times. It has a good value for money It is not right next to the airport, but there are shuttles to and from the airport every 30 min. Journey takes not more than 15min. We did not choose the Novotel as it was more expensive than the Amaranth, and decided not to spend too much for an overnight stay. The restaurant is very good, as well as the breakfast. There is a large gym and the swimming pool is very nice
Had a comfortable one night stay at this hotel in Feb 2014. Was convenient for us as we had an early flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport the next day. Breakfast was nice, staff were helpful and hotel itself was very good! There is a free of charge shuttle service (every 30 mins), with a 15 min drive to/from airport. For sightseeing visits, would recommend staying more in the city centre, but great if want to be near the airport.
Following some long travels around Thailand and Malaysia I booked this hotel to chill out before a long flight home. All was as expected, the room was spacious and comfortable with a bath and the hotel has adequate amenities, including a free shuttle service to the airport to coincide with flight times which was very helpful. Only issue was a very long wait to check in, could have done with the front desk being staffed better.
For a Best Western hotel this one is above average! Looks fairly new and rooms to a decent standard. Rooms and bathroom clean. We stayed here for one night as we had a flight the next day- it is an airport hotel- but is a bit away from the airport. Around 15 mins drive. Despite this they offer a free transfer so make sure you utilise this upon booking.
To update my previous review: I have now stayed at the Amaranth five times over the years and this is still an excellent choice as an airport hotel. The in-room internet service is now free. For the budget-minded, the best deal still comes from booking at Hotel Association counter on the arrivals floor at the airport. If you have the time, don't miss the swimming pool. You're almost guaranteed to have it all to yourself.
I wanted to try this as an alternative for a stopover near the airport. The hotel is not exactly close to the terminal, but the shuttle works well even it only runs every 30 min. The hotel and rooms are ok, and the service level not bad, but can improve in the restaurant. Overall good value for money.
Had an overnight stop here on the way through. Pick up and drop off service is superb. The food is very good quality and the staff make you feel very welcome. The rooms quality was also of a high standard. If you need somewhere that is close to the airport then I would recommend staying here.
The Premier Amaranth is an upscale Best Western property, but it is not a luxury accomidation for sure. All the expected amenities are there, and it is a short 20 minute complimentary , efficient shuttle to the Bangkok International Airport. The setting is enclosed in a very busy industrial setting. Once on the property you do feel cocooned. As expected, the in house restaurant was over priced, service excellent, food adequate.
We were looking for a reasonable hotel near the airport for an overnight stay between flights. The complementary shuttle service was great. The room, staff and included breakfast were all excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay near the BKK airport.
We booked the Amaranth for convenience, transiting from Cambodia en route for London. As airport hotels go, this has to be one of the best. Although it is some distance from Suvarnabhumi - it also serves Dom Muang - an email before flying ensured that we were booked on the complementary shuttle bus that runs from the airport all through the day. The instructions were clear and the guy was there to meet us, as promised. The bus was efficient and we were delighted to jump on it in the morning for the return trip. Efficient. The hotel was clean, modern, and classy. Staff were smiley, welcoming and helpful. Rooms were comfortable, well-appointed and stylish. We arrived quite late, after a delayed flight from Phnom Penh, but the restaurant was still open and the food was fabulous. All in all, there was nothing not to like. Passing through Bangkok again, as we may well, we would not hesitate to book again.
I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and had an early morning flight. Traffic from downtown Bangkok to BKK airport can easily take 60 - 90 minutes. We were pleasantly surprised! A big hotel, excellent service, and modern rooms. It is much better than the standard Best Westerns. This is also a conference hotel. The location to this hotel is close to the airport ..... IT IS NOT CONVENIENT for downtown Bangkok visits. Excellent value and the restaurant is superb and at prices that are almost criminally cheap. The "hotest" hot sauce I have ever had in my life ... freshly made and put on a small separate plate. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The prospect of visiting Bangkok for the first time was both exciting and concerning. How would I get to my hotel? Would they speak English? Will it be as nice as it looks on TripAdvisor? There were so many questions. Luckily, the Best Western Premier proved an excellent choice for this novice traveler. Emailing the property with my flight information made getting to the airport easy. After clearing customs, I walked over to a group of hotel hosts who are stationed to greet guests, corral their luggage, and escort them to the shuttle vans. I was told to expect a man in a pink jacket, and that's exactly who found me. By “found me,” I mean I didn't get the chance to struggle to find the host. He approached me. It was surprising and comforting. He told me I had about 20 minutes to kill until the shuttle's departure. He took my bag, and I visited the 7-11. The transfer to the shuttle van was quick. The trip to the hotel was lengthier than one would expect for an airport hotel; however, it was not bad at all. The shuttle was very comfortable. Check-in was a snap. The front desk clerk spoke English, and oriented me to the property. Upon settling into my room, I learned that the tap water is not drinkable. They advise guests to use bottled water for tooth brushing. I am generally anti-bottled water; however, I decided not to risk it. The hotel provided a couple bottles of water in the room. It was fine. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well. I slept soundly on the bed and bathed luxuriously in the spacious tub. In my opinion, the restaurant and bar prices were very reasonable. I enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. I arranged for a very early morning shuttle trip back to the airport which left the hotel promptly as scheduled. If I take another trip to Bangkok on a short itinerary, I'd be happy to return.
Good hotel for the overnight stay while waiting for the next plane. Hotel has a restaurant that works until late but the prices are almost like in USA. It takes about 15min to get there from the airport which is pretty close. Hotel provides a free shuttle.
Its a nice hotel for a quick stopover in bangkok. We had booked the day rate rooms, which was good value for money. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Most important, they had free shuttle pick up and drop and situated very close to the airport. Would definitely stay at this place in my next visit.
We stayed here for 1 night. The room exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded actually to the 7th floor which is the best of it. The free shuttle service from the airport caused us some trouble as their representant was sitting outside in the car and we had to figure it out with the help of the other hotels' personnel in the waiting point. The food at the restaurant is very delicious, 4* for sure. I recommend this hotel for travellers that need to catch another flight early in the morning. It's close to the airport and they make you feel very comfortable.
We were totally delighted with our stay at this Best Western. On arrival at Bangkok airport we were met by Best Western representative and were picked up. The hotel was prepared and had all our check in information and key ready on our arrival. The room was modern and the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and everything about this hotel was spot on. A delight right next to the Bangkok airport.
Tried many near airport hotels over the years & always come back to is one. In my opinion the best standard in relation to cost for accommodation near the international airport. Shuttle service to & from the airport which takes 15 minutes in light traffic, just advise when you book of your incoming flight & they'll arrange pick up. Reception will book your return service if you need it. It's graded a 5* which is most certainly isn't. There are some excellent 5* hotels in central Bangkok & this doesn't measure up. Having said that it's a good 4* with large well appointed rooms & comfortable beds. If you have the time there is a nice outdoor pool & garden area to enjoy. Breakfast is ok nothing more than that. The restaurant offers food all day although the evening meals are on the pricey side. Don't use this if you want picturesque surroundings & easy access to Central Bangkok. nowever for a reasonable standard/price near airport hotel it ticks all the boxes.
Stayed for one night at Amaranth,Hotel supplies minibus for transfers to and from airport 15min.drive.We where greeted with friendly staff at reception and shown to our rooms within a few mins.Having arrived 9-30pm didn't expect to get a meal maybe a bar snack, but hotel has a good menu at the bar.really enjoyed our meal.Breakfast was very well laid out and just about everything you needed to eat, have a gorgeous pool spent an hour at the pool before it was time to go.This is a great hotel,we can't say enough about the staff as they were excellent. Will be returning when around that way again.
I needed an airport hotel during a stopover between Vietnam and London so ended up at the Amaranth. Pick up process on the free shuttle at the airport was smooth and easy return in the morning. They upgraded me to a huge room which was nice. Decent gym. Very friendly staff. Really decent value for an airport hotel.
Well-organised transfer to / from hotel / airport. Takes 15/20 mins and runs every 30 mins both ways on the hour. You wonder where on earth you're driving to, but just sit back and relax ! Hotel is a bit 'corporate' but pleasant staff, efficient service, clean and comfortable rooms. Not much around the hotel so you probably have to eat in..... but tasty dinner and breakfast. Just what you need for an overnight stop-over at the airport.
We had a flight that got in at 2:30am and needed to be back at the airport to catch another flight at 2pm. We just needed a place to stay for the night and this place exceeded expectations. The free hotel shuttle picked us up upon arrival and got us to the hotel in about 15-20 min. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Basic room with toiletries including tooth brushes. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly great and diverse - fried rice, noodles, cold cuts, pastries, plenty of fruit, bread, yogurt, coffee, tea, sausage, bacon and much more. We also used the free shuttle to go back to the airport which got us there on time. Would definitely stay again.
We have stayed here three times, including twice for our most recent trip. This hotel is very nice, and excellent for late arrivals and early departures. It's about a 10-15-minute shuttle ride to the airport, but is often much less expensive than the closer Novotel. Service is very good, and the breakfast buffet is worthwhile. The rooms show some signs of age, but not too bad. Generally very quiet, unless there's a tour group (our last night there was quite loud due to the arrival of two busloads of tourists running around the halls at all hours). If you're feeling adventurous, there is a 7-11 and a few outdoor eateries (safe for tourists) nearby, if you take a right from the hotel driveway. This is our go-to place though when flying into BKK to see family and tour.
Have to admit that is was my ninth stay in this hotel. It all boils down to the location in my case since I have to attend meetings in the west of Bangkok as well as in the east of Bangkok and inches of this hotel I can avoid the horrendous traffic jams in Bangkok city. Of course, if somebody want to stay where the action is it would be a bit far away from the city centre, but for overnight stay with early connecting flight or, as in my case, for business purpose its is the ideal location and provides very good service. The rooms are comfortable, the bath room is well equipped, house keeping is doing an excellent job, the breakfast spread would satisfy different taste buds, except the coffee for breakfast is the same old hotel coffee, but that is a minor problem. And if somebody needs to do some shopping, the Mega Bangna mall as well as the Central mall Bangna is only about ten minutes by taxi, i.e., approx. 70 to 100 Baht. All in all, this was not my last stay in this hotel.
We had a evening layover in Bangkok. This hotel was a great find. Their shuttle service ran very efficiently and on time. The room was nicely laid out and comfortable and clean. We had a very nice dinner in the restaurant the eggplant Parmesan was a surprise on the menu and done very well! Service was friendly yet professional. We arrived to late to utilize the pool and left to early but it sure looked inviting as we walked by it. Great value.
A good mid range hotel for a stopover & you if need easy airport access. 20mins by shuttle bus from the airport & a good half hourly service. Rooms are clean & spacious. Lovely pool after a long flight.
This hotel is excellent as a one night stopover. Not much in the area so multiple nights is not an option for us. Quick check-in, large and quiet room, good air-conditioner, hot shower with strong water pressure, comfortable bed, very good breakfast and selection. I would have given 5 stars except we had to wait about 30 minutes for the shuttle to hotel and also we were woken up at 6am by an exercise/motivation class in the carpark outside our room. The room view was poor - vacant factories, but we weren't there for the views so it didn't matter. The shuttle back to the airport was prompt and much more relaxed than the drive and driver we had the night before. We didn't have time to look at or use the facilities (late arrival, early departure). I'm not sure if i would regard this as an airport hotel, it's quite a distance. I would stay again but probably would try a closer hotel next time. The hotel's rates are above most of the closer hotels, so you have to weigh up value for money versus comfort for the sake of an overnight stay.
A 2 day stay in Bangkok, Thailand. I chose the Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport, because of it's location and rates. I was greatly surprised on how very nice the hotel was. The staff and service was great. Every staff member I had contact with treat me extremely well. They were all nice and professional. The room I had was very comfortable, and the room service food was outstanding. The front desk staff stood out to me, because of there great attitudes. I needed a ride to the airport and they arranged it for me, and the beauty of it there was no cost to me. When I visit Bangkok again, I will stay at the Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport
This is the nicest stopover hotel I've stayed in, shuttle was excellent, breakfast options excellent and affordable, room was lovely and very big, nice little deck off room, bathroom was lovely. Very much a 4 star hotel!
I've stayed two nights in this hotel and found it perfect for my needs. As Others have reported it is about a 15min drive from the airport. Rooms are large and well kept. I've stayed one night overlooking the airport and the second night overlooking the other side (better). Try not to have a room next to the service stairwell as the music coming from the diffuse system can be heard in the room. Breakfast was very good and complete of choice. Lunch as well on a buffet basis. The bar is alright althoug mosquitos can be a annoying. Pool was also well kept and clean. Free-wifi worked well for my. It is quite far from downtown so this needs to be taken into consideration as well if sightseeing is planned.
We expected to take a taxi but hotel representative assured us, wait was only a few minutes... 8 minutes later no shuttle & when I insisted he call shuttle his cell phone was red lined/ dead! Begrudgingly we waited & after 7 minutes the shuttle arrived and then we rode for 15 minutes to the hotel. We arrived at our room after slow check-in and the room temperature was 29 Celsius, the toilet flush mechanism malfunctioned and the shower expressed sudden very hot water! We were too exhausted to deal with the horrible room condition as we had a flight departure scheduled in a few hours. Upon waking I noticed 2 small brown insects crawling on my bedside table towards my glass of water-ugh! Still the same problems with ability to flush toilet & shower pressure persisted We rushed to check-out, tried to explain room problems so they could be corrected to prevent other exhausted travelers from enduring our misery but no manager/supervisor came to talk with us? After a 13 minute ride on the hotel shuttle we arrived at the airport.
Well, it's extremely good value for a BKK layover. Still 15-20 mins from the airport so not that close by, but shorter travel than the alternatives in the city. I would not return because there was a huge mosquito problem at the hotel; all over the foyer. Killed several whilst eating in the restaurant and also in the bedroom.....depends on your tolerance to insect bites, mine is zero....
They bill themselves as an airport hotel but in reality it's about a 15 - minute shuttle (every half hour). Rooms are finely decorated, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, mine was a bit dark as a couple of ceiling lights needed replacement. Also, the WiFi signal in my room was very weak and to ensure reception I had to stand near the entrance door. I ate in their restaurant as there are no other nearby options. The six course set menu for 650 bhat was quite good and Singha draft beer was 140 bhat. Service was good. You can get very good rates for this hotel.
I enjoy staying here as it has very good facilities near the airport. The rooms are very good and good size; restaurant very adequate. If you plan to stay long in Bangkok then don't stay as it is meant for over-nite near airport. Never had a bad experience here yet. Free shuttle to/from airport.
We booked 1 night with our twin babies in a deluxe double but were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival free of charge. We requested an extra bed when booking and were not sure how much it was or if it would be an extra charge. The cost of an extra bed in the room is 1300 Baht. The hotel itself is not next to the airport and there is a free shuttle bus that takes around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. The hotel staff are really friendly, professional and attentive. Upon arrival we were greeted with a complimentary drink at the bar and they have a nice lounge area to sit and relax. The restaurant is big, furnished nicely and the Thai food was really good. The pool looked nice but unfortunately we didn't have time to check it out. We would definitely come back to this hotel again if we have late/early flight times, and have recommended it to friends and family.
In transit to and from Burma, Bhutan and the US, we stayed here three different nights over 3 weeks. We selected the Best Western for its airport proximity, positive TA ratings, reasonable rates. Free shuttle service is easy to locate (find "pink blazered" rep to the right from baggage exit) and ready to go within 15 minutes. Depending on time of day/night, shuttle time ranges from 10 to 20 minutes. Quick check-in at reception, wonderfully clean and comfortable rooms, quiet halls and friendly staff. Nightly price was $100 less than nearby hotel where others in our travel group stayed. On one visit, we also enjoyed some tasty appetizers as a late-night dinner in the adjoining restaurant. Overall, terrific experiences. However, when checking in on the last stay, the receptionist asked for my credit card at check-in and returned it with a 2000 baht charge that I didn't notice until up in my room. When I returned to ask about the charge, he was not at the desk but another receptionist said this would be credited back to my bank in two weeks. She had no explanation why (and we had made no room charges on the first two stays). ??? Very confusing but my fault for not seeing/questioning the charge immediately. Anyway, I hope this issue is resolved soon. Overall rating would have been 5 if not for this glitch.
This hotel well surpassed expectations and was perfect for a one night layover in Bangkok. It is much more upmarket than my knowledge of the Best Western chain in Australia. It is very modern and slick. Shuttle service was good both ways. On arrival you need to go to Exit B Door 5 and look for the staff with the bright pink blazers. It is a 10 to 15 minute drive from the airport, as are most of the Bangkok airport hotels. Check-in was quick and pleasant. We got upgraded to the 7th floor and the room was huge, with a very good bed and bathroom and modern decor. Best of all, the room must be brilliantly soundproofed as we did not hear a sound from outside. The curtains were heavy and well fitting so the room was pitch black, so all in all a well designed room conducive for sleep for a weary traveller. We had Thai food for a late dinner in the restaurant and it was surprisingly good. The included breakfast spread was very good and lots of choice for Western tastes. Good free wifi. There is nothing of interest in this area so while it is good for a layover, I would not recommend it for a visit to Bangkok. We paid a very modest price for this hotel. We had friends staying at the hotel too and we are all agreed it was an excellent choice for a layover.
Only stayed for one night. The folks put me in an upgraded room on the Club Floor. I appreciated that, but the room had no iron or ironing board, and also no house shoes (luckily I always carry my own house slippers.) I also requested, in advance, airport pickup (which is advertised as a free service,) but ended up taking a taxi because I never saw a representative from the hotel (maybe that is why I got the upgraded room ;o) The name of the hotel is misleading in that it gives the impression that it is near Suvarnabhumi Airport: well, someone's perspective is waaaay off because it is a pretty good distance away and even the taxi driver had to get directions to the place. A 200 Baht taxi ride and about 20 minutes later, I arrived at the hotel. Breakfast was da bomb (fabulous) and I was allowed a late check out time.
Check in was quick and pleasant. Room was clean. Mini bar options that were included in my room were very poor, limited to beer and nuts, disappointing. Room service was quick and nice, large portions. TV of a few hundred channels however only ONE in English. Day spa was advertised as being open from 9am which was a reason why I booked there to use the spa while in transit, however was told on arrival it opened at 1pm, disappointed.
The reception is good and helpful. The place is quiet and clean. Location close to the airport with a convenient price (especially when using Bangkok as a connecting point). As a solo business traveler is a place to recommend.
Stayed here again for a night on way home. 15-20 min free shuttle ride brings you to a very nice hotel. Check in easy, got a premium room on 7th floor with free wifi in room, free mini bar and free breakfast. Would recommend this place to anyone needing a transit hotel near the hotel.
I stay here as a transit point to go to HuaHin. The hotel is located just outside of the airport. Hotel has a free shuttle to and from hotel to airport. Staff are friendly and it has good wifi connectivity. If you need a hotel that is clean, professional and with good amenities this is a good hotel to look at.
Very impressed with the Amaranth. Clean, modern and comfortable accommodations close to BKK. Good restaurant and had a great sleep. Rooms are modern and beds are comfy. I had provided the hotel with my flight arrival details and was on my way to the hotel shortly after arrival. The hotel is about 15 min away. I decided to give this place a try as it cost about half of what the Novotel connected to the terminal charges. I will definitely stay here again. Great hotel for a layover between flights.
Very nice hotel a bit away from the airport. On your way to the hotel be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for the shuttle and then it is another 10-20 minutes in the shuttle to the hotel. Rooms large, clean, albeit some scuff marks on the furniture and mildew on the caulking around the tub. On site restaurant with descent food. Friendly staff. Big safety box that will easily hold all of your electronics and more.
Close to the airport for one last night before heading home. Upgraded to the Club level, which we enjoyed. Nice sized rooms that were lovely and clean. The restuarant food was excellent, although the breakfast buffet was not the largest I have ever had. Took a dip in the large outdoor pool which was great and enjoyed a pool side cocktail. My wife used the Day Spa for a massage and said it was great. The airport shuttle service was a welcome bonus and ran on time.
We got such a great deal with this hotel that I was not expecting much but to our surprise it was lovely. Our flight was running one hour late and I was able to email them so that our free shuttle from the airport were aware. Fantastic free shuttle sevice, it's about 15 to 20 mins drive from airport. Rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was awesome. Would highly recommend.
It is located a good 15-20 minutes from the airport but the complementary shuttle as was efficient and comfortable. They gave us an upgrade so I can't speak for standard rooms but the room condition and facilities were excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, recommended for a stopover.
Very nice hotel, with superb staff.....free shuttle to and from airport.. Clean, good breakfast...did I say superb staff...it bears repeating.. They fall over themselves to make you welcome. Great hotel
Been a few months since we stayed. The hotel is beautifully clean and tidy. The air con hits you as soon as you walk out of the taxi. Check in is smooth and effortless. The bags are in your room as soon as you are. Tips are not expected, but, you should give them tips anyway. The rooms are always clean and perfectly appointed. Breakfast is a buffet of both eastern and western choices and is served In a lovely clean restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble. See you again next year
$100 aud less than 24 hours. No breakfast. Hotel staff speak English and they are helpful. Convenient currency exchange at reception. We were upgraded for free. Large comfortable room. Big bed. Ugly view (not that important). Shower was large and bathroom was large. Includes safe, TV, desk, fridge. Meals seemed expensive. We ate elsewhere. Aircon was very strong. But we managed.
This was my second time staying here, both times for a lay over between flights. The ease of finding the hotels airport shuttle bus is excellent! I was easily able to identify the correct bus/driver and not even a fifteen minute drive and I was at the hotel. Check in was a breeze, and the room itself was clean and spacious. The complementary breakfast was a buffet of deliciousness!!! If you are looking for a perfect place close to the airport for a reasonable cost then this is the hotel for you!
I found this hotel to be very nice, but expensive as most hotels near airports tend to be. There is a fee shuttle rom the airport to the hotel. It offers a very nice buffet for an extra fee. It is very convenient if you arrive late at night or early morning and have to wait for a connecting flight. I have stayed in other hotels in the area that cost a little less but are located a little further away from the airport.
