Stayed for 3 nights during ski season. Staff was friendly and attentive to our needs and the breakfast was wonderful. Room was quiet. Pool facilities were good and the hot tub fine. The underground parking was a real bonus especially on cold nights. Highly recommend

The Hotel rooms, beds and showers were great, our timing was bad, Reading week!!, the partygoers were plentiful and the pool and hot tub chemicals were exhausted from the overuse...bad timing for us! Decent location, close walk to dining pubs attractions and shops

Great place to stay. Very nice inside, an inside swimming pool, excellent breakfast in the morning, parking garage. All the things you need, very close to Banff downtown. Everything was clean and fully working.

Second time staying here and I have to say I will be back. First it's in a great location, far enough away from the action to be a little more quiet but still easily walkable to where all the action and restaurants are. While being older as most hotels in the area, this hotel is well kept and up to date while maintaining it's charm of yesteryear. The staff were courteous and friendly and quite helpful when we had plumbing issues.

Service at this Best Western in Banff Alberta was excellent! We were welcomed as Elite Members at checkin, and the staff were very professional and helpful at every phase of our wonderful experience at the Siding 29 Lodge!! The close proximity to the shops and sites in Beautiful Banff Alberta were very welcome!!

No hair dryer, we stayed during winter and the price is high but the location is good. close to a gasoline station and convenience store. Breakfast is okay. you can hear people talking from outside, doors are banging from guests coming in and out of their hotel room.

Great play to stay! Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. Love their free full breakfast with lots of choices. It was quite a walk to the downtown area but manageable since the weather and the views were great!

Very comfortable stay here at the Best Western. I was stressed having never been to Banff, I thought maybe this place was too far out of the main town hub, but in reality it was close, enough to be a comfortable walk 10 mins depending on foot traffic. We settled into our room very spacious, two double beds. Rooms had everything we needed. Balcony has a nice view, only issue was we struggled to use it due to heavy smokers above and below. As an asthmatic and someone who didn't want to get charged a fee for smoke in the room, had to keep calling down to the reception who said guests could smoke out there. Sort of defeated the point of having a balcony room with view of the mountains when I couldn't open the door or sit out there at all without the room smelling of smoke :( The staff and room attendants were fabulous and always helpful. The breakfast was substantial and well stocked, considering many places don't offer a buffet. It was busy but turned over quickly for tables. Plenty of hot and continental options either way a cheaper option to breakfast in town since we're eating out 3 meals a day.

The hotel location is very accessible its only 10mins walk to downtown! The bed is comfortable and the free vending coffee is ++++! The staffs are very accommodating as well especially J-anne and Shiela! Highly recommended if you're staying in Banff! PS the view from the room is spectacular as well ☺️

We stayed here during our time in Banff. The hotel is located within walking distance to downtown Banff. It is updated and clean. Parking is beneath in a garage which was relatively easy. My only complaint is that we reserved a queen room and wow that room was quite small. We had two suitcases and in order to open them it was quite tight. And honestly the room was too small for two chairs. We ended up pushing one of the chairs over between the bed and wall which then meant that I had to crawl in the other side. My advice is to reserve a room with two queen beds. Breakfast was good and had a variety.

This was a nice place in Banff, but the price was out of this world, but I guess that is the way it is in Banff at this time of year. (Sept). I felt I could have done more research and gotten a better deal, but I trust BW so we took the deal.

Convenient hotel with large rooms that have a view of the rockies. Housekeeping missed us the first day which was irritating. Very small breakfast room which provides a limited / basic options and gets quite crowded. The decor is dated and the corridors were in the middle of being decorated- the work started at 8.00 in the morning too! Good underground parking available. Whilst it met minimum standards I would look to stay somewhere of a higher standard if we came to Banff again.

The lady at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room is a good size with a table and two chairs and a closet. The bathroom is roomy with enough counter space for toiletries. The hallway carpet looked new. The carpet in the room itself looked a bit dated. Everything in the room was clean. They have free underground parking. They loan bear spray and we borrowed a canister, as we planned a good amount of hiking. We never needed to use the spray and so just returned it as we received it. There is a small indoor pool, up the half stairs near the lobby. The breakfast was fairly good with eggs, bacon, pancakes, oatmeal, hash browns, plus pastries, bread, cereal and some fruits. The hotel is an easy walk to the main section of Banff with all the restaurants and shops. Close enough to walk, but far enough away to be in a quiet area.

We were first staying at another hotel just over the highway, which was so called pet friendly. We checked out after 1 night because it was not as pet friendly like they claimed. At Best Western we had an updated room, big patio for easy dog access, free breakfast, paid less than the 1st hotel and only a 5-minute walk to downtown Banff. No looking for parking or paying for parking. We were so happy we switched hotels to BW we kept talking about it for days.

One of the lesser expensive options to stay in Banff. That doesn't mean lesser service. Staff was amazing, room was clean and comfortable. Located within walking distance from downtown and very close to the Rabbit street bus stop.

Stayed at this property for 3 nights. very convenient location just off banff ave. nice amenities, parking is in underground garage. Difficult to maeuver vehicle into parking space. Expensive but it was high season.

Loved the quality service and friendly staff. The room was clean. Free breakfast was good and convenient. It is located near the Banff downtown/grocery market/ ROAM transit/ Visitor Center. It takes about 7-8 minutes to walk.

Stayed 3 nights, with all the amenities they offer the price i think is reasonable for the peak summer season we stayed. Definitely recommend to friends and family. Just in the center of Banff and ease of walking around town.

My sister and I travelled to Banff for a family wedding and stayed at the Best Western on Marten St. We only have good comments about that hotel. The place is quiet, very clean, close to Banff action, and the coffee machine in the lobby is certainly a plus. We enjoyed our stay there and would go back/recommend in a heartbeat.

The team is so welcoming when you walk in the front door. This is very conveniently located to many things around. Easy to work to places, The hotel and room was very clean. Definitely would stay here again.

Great hotel and good price for Banff. 10 minute walk to the main shopping/restaurants and bus stop. Stayed for 4 nights. Rooms were nicely decorated. We had 3rd floor with view of mountains/trees. Nice little balcony with wood table and two chairs. Staff very friendly and helpful and had our room ready early and gave us a call. Let us store luggage while waiting.Hot breakfast was great! They changed it a little each day, from sausage to bacon and waffles to pancakes. Always had scrambled eggs, potatoes, cereal, muffins, bread, yogourt etc. orange/cranberry/apple juice. Went at 7am and always had a table. Beverage machine in lobby was great! Unlimited fresh coffee, americano, latte, cappuccinos, hot chocolates and more available 24/7. To-go cups and sleeves always available and stocked. Filtered water bottle filling station in lobby as well. Everything you need to get your day started quickly. We didn't have a car and walked or used transit.

It is an great location in Banff. Close to everything but not right downtown. Walkable to anything. We had the suite with the jacuzzi. AWESOME!!!!! Breakfast was good, clean and the suite gave us extra space which was nice with two large TVs.

Overall the hotel was fine: great location (near the ROAM buses), clean room, easy check-in, all amenities were as described and functioned well. Staff were polite and accommodating. Breakfast was varied and good. Unfortunately, the breakfast room is small and there's not enough space for everyone. After waiting 10 minutes we decided to select a few breakfast items and bring them back to our room.

This hotel is like a mini ski lodge, or at least what I'd imagine one to be like. I got a high-end room, due to scarcity, but the mountain view and amenities were spectacular. Garage a bit tight, but better than many, and seems very secure.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The place is also nice and clean. They have a great underground parking which helped us since we are a family of six. Wifi was excellent for the kids as well.

This hotel was reasonbly priced, but what made it very pleasant was the coffee machine in the lobby. Options such as latte, hot chocolate and cappuccino was a nice treat. Staff was pleasant and the fact it was in the main area of Banff was nice

Right in the center of Banff, amazing rooms with balcony overlooking mountains. Good Breakfast - 24x7 Coffee Machine with several variety of coffee and other hot drinks and it's free for the guest. Considering weather it's blessing. Covered parking is added advantage! Location is everything is walking distance to downtown to enjoy!

Our small family stayed for four nights in the fall and this was a great spot to explore Banff from. The room was clean and more spacious than a typical double bed hotel room, the breakfast was as expected. We chose this location because it had an in-room fridge and microwave. Our only complaint is that the underground parking is extremely tight and filled up quickly. A short walk to main street Banff and easy access in and out of town. Would recommend.

Good experience with this hotel. Staff was accommodating and helpful location is blocks away near Banff downtown. Hot breakfast is great . Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to be back again.

Our family stayed in a two room three bed suite. The layout of the rooms were very comfortable and they looked updated and clean. The beds were comfortable and we had no issue with noise at night. The staff were attentive and very friendly and check-in and out was a breeze. They offer a free breakfast from 7:00 until 10:00 a.m. which was very good. They have warm items such as eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, waffles or pancakes, fruit, toast, yogourt, juice, coffee, milk, sweets, etc. The folks looking after the breakfast area did a fantastic job. This hotel is pet friendly and is well located in Banff. Our vehicle was too tall for the underground parkade (5'9"), but we had no problem finding on street parking. I would 100% stay here again.

I could not be more happy. I will be returning. The staff was so friendly and pleasurable to speak with. The breakfast was delicious and lots of variety. We loved the location as there is no parking in Banff and we could just walk everywhere.

Just a few minutes stroll to downtown. This hotel offers great value for your dollar. The rooms are quite large and very clean. The pool and hottub while not large add a nice dimension to your stay. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

The hotel it self is in the heart of downtown Banff, walking distance to many shops, restaurants, attractions. The hotel and staff were great. Room is spacious and clean. There is room for improvement on the breakfast side. Overall was a good stay

Pet friendly and they put you on the first floor for easy access outside. Nice small pool and hot tub, which was never too busy. Hot breakfast. Reasonable price. Only downside was it was a further walk to the townsite.

Stayed here for 4 nights just before Christmas which unfortunately coincided with brutally cold temps in Banff - but fear not as the Hotel had underground parking (able to accommadate my Ram 1500 no problems) heated indoor pool and hot tub, large fireplace in the foyer and wonderfully decorated for Christmas. Short walk from Hotel down Banff avenue to IGA, shopping, dining etc. Check in was easy, large room with two queen beds on top floor, staff were wonderful and breakfast was awesome, great selction of cooked breakfast like eggs, sausages, bacon, waffles and pancakes with breads, cereals, muffins fresh fruit and yoghurt a nice way to start the day and great hours from 7-10am - only thing was the one lone lady working flat out to keep everyone fed and lkeep the area clean, that woman deserves a raise and some extra help. Dining room is a little small but trays are available to head back to your room if you wish, tea and coffee available in the lobby as well. Hotel was clean and well maintained and housekeeping were awesome. Only issue we had was 2nd night some idiots decided to disrepect the hotel and guests by partying and behaving poorly. We asked them to quiet down but to no availal and the hotel staff did a great job in leting them know that in the morning they were checking out and not welcome back. Overall would highly recommend

The hotel was clean, very friendly staff and the price of the hotel was very good. The location of hotel is a 5 minute walk to the downtown, the full breakfast was excellent. Bestwestern had a promotion in Dec. if you bought a $200 gift card you received a $50 gift card free which we thought was a nice touch.

Stayed for 2 nights in Dec. Check in was a breeze. Quick and efficient. Booked through Expedia, who only had two Queen room, and tried to change at checkin, but all kings were booked. They did put me in a nice mountain facing (and gas station) room. Location is pretty good, a short walk to town centre, close drive to the highway, but by no means in the village centre. The room was newly renovated, a decent size, and was clean. The wood paneled ceiling made it feel like a cabin, and the back half of the room had a vaulted roof which increased the sense of its space. Breakfast was a typical hotel type breakfast. Free which is nice. Eggs, bacon, potatoes etc. Room is small and fills up fast. Pool Was warm with a small hot tub attached. Free parking in very small underground parkade. Fills up fast and is very tight so come early. So nice having covered Parking. All in all a good stay in Banff. Would return for the price

We love this hotel, especially in the off-season when it becomes more affordable. The rooms are large & very comfortable, with fast wifi speed, a large flat-panel tv. The Banff air tends to be quite dry in winter so I would recommend bringing a personal humidifier with you for the nights to help you sleep more comfortably. This hotel offers has a great free breakfast, including cereals and hot foods They have someone on staff continually monitoring the food bar as well as making sure that they breakfast room stays clean. My only complaint is that the breakfast room is a little small so the tables are quite tightly packed together but we were lucky in that it wasn't too busy when we were there. We enjoy the hotel and we come back to it whenever we can.

Well this place is top notch we arrived at 2:30am and they we were very kind and helpful. The rooms were very spacious beds were comfy. The morning check out was very smooth and fast. I definitely would stay at this location again.

Booked a one bed queen room for one night. Room very small , but served the purpose. However this has to be one of the worst beds - mattreses we have ever slept on. Everything warped to the middle. Very - very uncomforable. Last year had stayed in a2 Queens bed and that was fine. Decided we only needed the one bed as the second one was not used last year . Still shocked at the difference in size of the one bedroom even before we got around to trying that terriible mattress. Something we might find in a one star ( flea bag ) hotel They do serve a decent breakfast.

We stayed at this Best Western two nights while visiting Banff NP. The room was rather small but that was fine with us. We had a balcony which was great as we could leave our hiking gear outside. The bed was comfy, everything was spotless clean. Breakfast was included in the room price. We really liked the location, it's just a 5 minutes walk to the center where you find all the restaurants and shops. Banff is quite an expensive town so if you look for something more affordable this hotel is definitly a good choice.

Staff were very welcoming. The facility was modern with good internet. A mountain view from the room was wonderful. Having a fireplace going in the lobby was great coming in from the winter weather. 24 hr coffee in the lobby is good on a cold day.

Started staying at this hotel with family 40 years ago and have always been satisfied. The hotel completed an upgrade lately and has always kept up with making a stay very comfortable. Secure underground parking is a plus and the breakfast is typical for BW hotels. We now travel with a small dog and he has always been welcome. Pet rooms are on the first floor with easy access to the property through the patio doors. The cost for a room is very competitive, particularly for Banff and even Calgary. The staff are excellent and very helpful in providing local information as well as efficient check-in/check-out service. We haven't used the pool facilities (lately), however, families using the facility appeared to be happy with the experience.

We had a pleasant stay at the Best Western Siding 29, we were within walking distance of main street so we had a nice touristy walk along the shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast both mornings!!! The pool had a great wall of windows; the windows and glass around the pool had a lot of water-streak marks but OVERALL awesome views!! Also, parking is very limited especially if you have a bigger truck. Beds were also a bit firm for our liking

King suite with jet tub, beautiful room, however our jets wouldn't work. Staff tried everything to get it to work, without success. They were very apologetic and compensated for the inconvenience. Don't let the outside look of the building discourage you from booking, the rooms are beautiful!! Breakfast included and a short walk to many restaurants and stores!

I spent a fair amount of days in hotels throughout the year, and I do my best to give an honest review. This is the first hotel I have ever given a 10 out of 10. All the staff members had smiles on their faces and greeted us. Breakfast had many options to satisfy every guest. Even the butter for the toast was soft (most places I stay at the butter is rockhard) Both of my rooms were very clean. The underground parking also had plenty of space between cars. The Best Western chain should use this hotel as an example of what all of them should be like!

The entire hotel is very clean and well maintained. Rooms are kept in great condition and have great beds. We stay at least once a year and it is always excellent. Parking is underground and is included in the room cost, as is breakfast. Got the room and location requested, even though the hotel was full. A full hotel in Banff after Canadian Thanksgiving tells you it is a great hotel. Got the senior's rate.

The welcome at check in was inviting and pleasant. Nice to have underground parking and luggage cart easily available. The room was well appointed with mini fridge, coffee maker, tv, plus I really liked the lighting system and that each button said what light/s it was for. We enjoyed the comfort of the bed including the mattress, sheets and pillows. Bathroom was bright, clean, ample towels and lotions. The breakfast offerings had a good enough variety for the small area; we ended up taking our meal back to our room - trays were provided to do so:-) The hotel was easy to find and within walking distance to where I wanted to go. Overall a very good stay/visit. Thank you BW.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in October 2022. We found the front office staff very friendly and able to answer all our questions. It was nice having coffee, tea, and infused water available in the front lobby at all times. The rooms were well decorated and clean. Our room had a microwave, mini fridge and a Keurig with pods and cups. Very convenient. We also had a great view of the mountains from our room on the third floor...with a balcony, two seats and a table that we used often. The odd number rooms are located in the front of the hotel with a view of the mountains. Rooms with even numbers are in the back and overlook a courtyard and other buildings. Parking was convenient and easy to access. The only drawback was the breakfast included with our stay. We ate in the breakfast area 5 times and every time we ate we ended up with syrup on our arms or clothes from the previous diner. We never saw the tables being wiped down at all. The food was okay. Basically the same thing every day. This hotel is within walking distance of a grocery store and all the shops and restaurants down the main street (Banff Avenue) and the side streets I would have rated this a hotel 4.5 if I had the option. I would stay there again and would definitely recommend it.

Location is great! Cheaper than other hotels in area but still very clean, professional staff and plenty of amenities. Breakfast included is rare in the area, family really appreciated this. Highly recommend!

I am happy with our stay at this hotel. I am traveling with my children and cleanliness is the most important thing I look for in the room. Our room was very clean and tidy. Checking in was an easy process. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The only thing to be mindful of is that parking spaces are limited in their underground parking so be sure to come back to the hotel sooner than later.

Booked this hotel very last minute as a result of needing to change plans due to the wildfire in Jasper. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Our room was huge, exceptionally clean and had great mattresses. The overall property is well maintained and the location is about a 5 minute walk to downtown Banff. This hotel offers great value for your money - I'd stay here again in a heart beat.

This hotel is old, dark and tired. The staff are not happy. The hallways are a wreck (wallpaper gone, light fixtures hanging - some sort of work being done). Upon arrival we learned that their pet policy is nothing like what is stated on their website. You will have to lock your dog in your car in their smelly underground garage anytime you leave your room. Our room smelled so strongly of cheap disinfectant that we had to open the slider and let it air out for about an hour. One morning in the breakfast room, the man working in there started screaming at the guests, including dropping F-bombs, and yelling “this is BS!” (But used the actual term) all because somebody used the wrong utensil to scoop scrambled eggs. It was just crazy. This place has very bad energy all the way around. I will NEVER stay here again. I hated coming back to this place each evening. AVOID this place!!!

Elsa the Manager,Jayanne from Customer Services,the kitchen and housekeeping employees are extremely friendly,accommodating and helpful.The environment is peaceful and pleasant .The rooms were very comfortable with great amenities and quick response from the employees should you request for anything.The breakfast buffets were of great choices and very relaxing breakfast room with the Big Screen TV.Overall it is just like home away from home.

We stayed with my partner for 2 week-end nights and after a very busy 3-day long business conference we attended earlier in the week in Calgary. Whereas the grey color hotel facade is not particularly typical of a mountain ski village, the hotel is well located 2 or 3 blocks from Banff's busy city center. Nice spacious rooms, although a bit dark, with in our case a nice balcony with a little table and 2 chairs facing a gorgeous mountain panorama, partially hidden by 3 big and high evergreens so close to our room that we could almost touch the branches. Very nice and large quantity breakfast hot and cold items of diverse kinds. Nice although a bit small pool for lap swimming and a medium size garage underneath the hotel which provides good protection.

This is an excellent place to stay. From the check-in, to the very nice clean rooms, daily cleaning, great wifi, amazing hot breakfast, parking and above all really good, friendly, smiling and helpful staff. This was a great factor that made our visit to the Rockies an awesome experience.

Absolute amazing experience, rooms are big, very near to the Banff avenue, management is very efficient & hard working. Free breakfast & free underground parking makes lots of different. We stayed from 28th Aug to 1st Sept 2022. No complaints at all.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but adequate. Great showerhead. Parking is underground. Easy to get in and out. Luggage carts by the elevator in the parking area. There is some parking on the street. Usually available in the mornings. The hotel is several blocks from the busy downtown area. Many people always walking up and down the street. Gas station across the street. There are restaurants in the nearby hotels. My favorite part was sitting on the patio outside the room in the evening. Shady there in the evening. We were on the third floor facing Banff Ave. View of the mountains and activity on Banff Ave. I think the only downside to this hotel was the small breakfast area which was always crowded with people. The staff do a good job of keeping food stocked. Leisurely breakfast is out of the question. People keep coming in and find a crowded room and just hope someone will leave soon to get a spot.

The rooms were clean. The rooms looked exactly like the pictures shown online. The staff girl was super nice. There was a gas pump right in front of the road with a convenience store. We loved the overall experience staying at the hotel. Only one thing I would suggest is try to get a room that is facing towards the mountains in front. We had a room facing the back of the hotel and had not much view.

The front staff are exceptional. They take care of requests immediately. Breakfast is plentiful. The one suggestion I would make is to start the breakfast earlier than 7am given most people want to get to the attractions at Banff earlier in the day

An older property that has been nicely updated. Good location. Very comfortable beds. Large flat screen TV with lots of channels. Free breakfast. Fast, free internet. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. I would stay here again. I only gave it 4 stars because it's a little pricey but it's Banff so….

My family stayed in best western for 4 days and it was fantastic. We had beautiful view from the room, the room is clean and they have service to clean it every day, the location is few minutes walking from Banff downtown, the parking free, the breakfast very good and they have variety and different food everyday, the staff very friendly and nice, the air conditioning is very good, they have tea and coffee in the hotel entrance and for free 24 hours. I would definitely recommend it and I would stay again once I visit Banff.

Very convenient location in the middle of town center, well maintained swimming pool, fresh breakfast, office center with self printing service but also daily housekeeping all exclusive in the better price.

Located in walking distance to Banff center without the hassle. My room was very spacious and well appointed with mini-fridge, microwave, coffee machine, TV and safe-box. It has a balcony with small table and 2 chairs with great views you can also have from within the room. Wifi is free. Breakfast is ok. Parking is free in basement. But be aware part of the garage has relatively low clearance that could be a problem for SUV with top load. The staff is very friendly and service very good.

Very impressive, knowledgeable, and professional staff personnel at this hotel. The front balcony view faces a mountain and the back of the hotel, you'll see a snow covered mountain. I could not stop taking pictures coming into Banff, Alberta.

My two largest complaints are that the beds are very firm and the common areas all feel very small. Outside of that, this is a fantastic hotel, albeit with a price that reflects that. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Banff, the entire town is easily walkable, but the hotel location itself is quite quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and well equipped (though the bathrooms feel like they need a bit of a refresh). Also, the hotel is very pet-friendly!

Remodeled but not very recently. Breakfast average. Small breakfast area so social distancing impossible. Staff helpful. Parking garage low ceilings and narrow. Not for vehicles with any size or height. Location excellent for short walk to town. TV Chanel's limited. Good in room small fridge.

This was our first time staying at this location. Being one of the less expensive accommodation options in Banff, we were a bit concerned about what it would be like, but we were pleasantly surprised all around! The location is great. Right on the main street in the town of Banff. Gorgeous view of the mountains from where we were, a spacious balcony with a table and two chairs and since we were on the top floor, our room had a vaulted ceiling which made the room feeling much larger than a standard hotel room. The decor of the room was modern and bright. The beds were comfy, the tv was modern and had a sanitized remote provided. Our room had two queen beds, a table with two chairs, microwave, fridge, desk and wardrobe. The bathroom wasn't huge or fancy, but was very clean, all in working order and had a bathtub/shower combo. The breakfast was above and beyond our expectations for a free breakfast. It included lots of hot food options (scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and delicious hashbrowns), self-serve toast, yogurt, fruit, cold cereal and hot cereal. It also offered several kinds of juices, as well as milk, coffee and teas. It was tasty, filling and a great way to start a day in the mountains! My daughter loved the pool and hot tub area, which had long operating hours and lots of space. All the staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay here. We plan on trying to book it again for our next weekend escape. It exceeded all of our expectations, while not being unreasonably priced.

The location is a bit further away from the center but is only about 15 minutes walk and quick access to the main road. There is a keycard controlled underground parking to accommodate vehicle under 6ft. We check in this hotel for one night with family and the experience was beyond expectation. The room was clean (no dust on countertop) and guest supplies were well stocked, sufficient for the number of people checked in without having to run to the front desk for extra towels, shampoo etc. We had a good size room that fitted all our luggage/backpacks; spacious workspace that fitted my 17' laptop with extra space. The breakfast room was crowded due to its size; the hotel was also at a full capacity on the day we checked in. However, they had no issue of us bringing the food to the room (We cleaned up after ourselves). The arrangement of the counter allows people goes in one file, one direction. I like this arrangement. Standard selection of breakfast items served: bread, muffin (not prepackaging type), hot breakfast such as waffle, sausages, scramble eggs and hashbrown. There are also varieties of cereals and fresh fruits. Condiments are well stocked at all time. Check out was a breeze. We make use of the express check out and they are handled within half an hour after we left the premises. I know because I received notification and my account had been adjusted accordingly. I will definitely come back for my next stay!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stays at the Banff Best Western Hotel. This hotel provides excellent rooms, an excellent complimentary hot breakfast, a pool, hot tub and easy access to downtown Banff. The staff are friendly, efficient, professional and go out of their way to make your stay pleasurable! I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in the Banff, Alberta area.

Although the online reservation cost $299.18, we were assigned to a 'broom closet' called Room #301. My complaint to the Reception clerk resulted in a suitable upgrade to Room #300. Excellent TV channel selections for sports and movies. Good mattress but the thin duvet required am additional bath towel cover for a comfortable sleep. Excellent buffet breakfast. Underground parking.

The staff were friendly, views were nice, ok breakfast but crowded. Had a room on 1st floor that had a nice patio out back where dog could go out and guests could sit. It was an easy walk downtown. The underground parking is good with elevator & luggage carts. The pool & hot tub is small and could use some TLC…have to parade through front entrance if on ground floor. My husband had trouble getting the tv remote working but was fine after. Rooms were clean & nice toiletries provided. Would stay again if I had points or got a good rate.

This is our second stay and again we're happy. It is a great location, few minutes away from shops and restaurant. My small kids enjoy the walks. The room is spacious complete with fridge and microwave. And for their hood price tgey slso have breakfast so will definitely come back soon.

I recently had a short stay while on a ski trip. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly. Even in the underground parking several staff passed us and all stopped to greet us. The room was very clean. We arrived for the included breakfast at a peak time but the staff member worked to continuously re-stock items with fresh food. The breakfast was nothing fancy but definitely adequate hot and cold choices. The location is just off of main street and a short stroll into the heart of the town. We will definitely stay here again. I marked the value as average because we travelled during a popular time and the price of the room was quite high, but in line with all other hotels for that time period.

Really good choice for one night in banff with family. Courteous staff, clean facility and nicely updated. Our room 313 had a cute balcony and view. Perfect breakfast wifi, parking and clean / comfy room. Thank you staff.

This BW location has been recently modernized and in my view the best in class for Banff (by far). Quiet, convenient, just far enough away from town center. The Staff knock themselves out to be hospitable

I am a Diamond Select member and pre covid stayed in BW's over 100 times in 2020/2021, I chose BW because of their points program No Blackouts, never expire, lies do not use this program spend your money anywhere else but BW, the customer support was even worse, I was the problem, hopefully I'm gonna be able to roll my points over somewhere else, Best Western brutal, brutal loyalty!

A decent hotel in a decent location on Banff's main street and easily accessible to downtown Banff. If you are prepared to pay Banff-level prices this is a decent option. Wish it had an exercise room.

We stayed for 1 night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We chose this hotel for its location and amenities especially the pool. Staffs are warm and accomodating. They also have breakfast and unlimited coffee at the lobby.

I really enjoy this hotel. It is close enough to downtown that it is an easy walk but far enough to avoid the crowds. The room is nice and has all the amenities you need for a night. When in Banff, I don't spend much time in the hotel.

Huge tvs,nice sectional,king bed is comfortable and the hot tub on the balcony is what keeps us coming back.the free breakfast is actually really good with plenty of options,only downside is you can pretty much hear every door on the whole floor anytime it opens or closes as well as any conversations people may have in the hallway.you can also hear peoples conversations when your in the hallway and they are in thier rooms.

We have stayed at a few hotels in the past month and staff training and service were issues, as you would expect but the Best Western Siding 29 in it's own league. Fantastic breakfast, spotlessly clean and well attended. Front desk staff is fast and accommodating. We'll be back, thanks to this great team!

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Front desk staff were not helpful. No parking available if you have an RV, towed camper or towed vehicle. The front desk staff, when asked about alternate parking was unhelpful and told me we would just have to find street parking somewhere as they only had an underground lot. She told me to go and get my own luggage trolley in the parking garage as that's where the hotel keeps them. After I told her I was not parking in the garage she did nothing. I had to specifically request her to go down to the garage to get a luggage trolley for me.

Rented a basic double Queen room. Very spacious, well enough appointed and at a very reasonable 110/night bcaa rate. Tasty breakfast. Friendly staff. Under ground Parking is a little bit tight -good if you have a small car. A bit of a walk to the strip but easy enough. Pool and hot tub are front and centre but it works. Stayed here before and had the same positive experience. If you're on a budget this is a great place to stay.

This Best Western at Banff was an excellent hotel......rooms clean, staff super friendly and helpful , the continental breakfast one of the best we have eaten, underground parking safe and secure , easy walk to downtown sector. Excellent bang for your buck !!

Booked as the price was reasonable and included breakfast and we were not disappointed. The breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon as well as white or brown toast, muffins,yogurt,apples and oranges and a variety of cereals all of which were fresh. It had a pool and small hot tub to relax in after being out for the day. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. Have stayed at the hotel a few times and has never disappointed. Went there with twin babies, staff had cribs set up before arrival in our pet friendly room.

Disgusting place. Used dirty sheets on bed furniture covered in food stains, broken patio door, bathroom falling apart, taps don't turn off, nasty shower. Just the lowest quality place I've ever stayed

Enjoyed staying here! On the outside, it seems small and low-budget; but it's actually really clean, well managed and great all round! There's free coffee everywhere went in the winter and vending machines on some floors. Was a good experience overall!

Large room with comfortable beds. Also included mini-fridge, microwave, coffe-maker, and large TV. They had a full breakfast but we had to eat in the room because of COVID. The only slight downside was that the hot tub cold only hold t 3 people at a time. Great value!

Elsa and all the front desk staff were very accommodating . They were always willing to assist and accommodate us in any way possible. We will definitely be going back to this hotel. It's close to everything , very clean , family friendly and has excellent buffet style breakfast. .

I would recommend the Siding 29, as it is reasonably priced and meets our modest requirements. Still offering a hot breakfast while following Covid protocols, which was a pleasant surprise. Heated parking was great, as it was -24C outside overnight.

The price of staying in Banff at the Best Western was affordable, compared to all the other new hotels. It's a bit of a walk to the main downtown, but the weather was great, and we enjoyed the walk. We could smell the pool, which means that they needed to check on the exhaust fans, so maintenance was required. The front staff needed to remember that they are talking through their mask and plexiglass. It was hard to hear her. There were times that she didn't even make eye contact with her customers, us. Friends of the front staff, forgot to wear their mask while visiting her and talking with her when we were present. She paid more attention to them, than us, which should have been her priority. I requested a printed invoice, which she seemed put off that she had to print one.

Very nice and clean. We'll sure come back, loved the swimming pool and hoy tub. Love the interior and style of our room. My kids really enjoy the stay. Staff very accommodating and friendly and very helpful.

Great value for a comfortable room, nice TV, pool, good breakfast. Good location with easy access to downtown. Because of Covid-19, you have to get a breakfast tray and go back to your room. Lots of food choices, including scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage, toast, yogurt, juice, coffee/tea, apples, oranges.

Watch out for the "last room" when booking in advance. We booked our room at $100.00 more per night than others in our party only to find out there were "Vacancy" signs posted during our entire stay & customers were checking in with NO reservations while we were in premises.

For the very reasonable price we were not expecting great things but we were very pleasantly surprised! We just wanted a pool and included breakfast but we got so much more for our money. Just off the Main Street with underground parking. Close to everything. Staff was very friendly, very clean large room. Would definitely recommend. Decent continental breakfast which we had to take back to our room due to COVID.

Some pluses and a few minuses : + - indoor , heated parking for normal sized vehicles with elevator access to rooms - balconies or small terrace off each room - mtn. views - quick check-in / check-out - medium-sized pool & hot tub ( always full in the evening ) - 10 - 15 minute walk to downtown - comfortable rooms - nice patio area in the back - - Considering the number of rooms, the breakfast area was very small. Due to social-distancing rules, people had to eat in their rooms. Not enough trays for everyone. - No self-serve laundry area, which would be expected in an area with a lot of outdoor activities. I noticed some comments about the prices being high. I would consider these as normal prices for such a popular tourist area - they do drop off in October. And much cheaper than Jasper.

Good location and a nice 15 minute walk to downtown so a little less hectic. A little pricey. Also in the morning very noisy hallways as breakfast room was not dine in. Kids running up & down the hallway & constant knocking on doors as people returned to their rooms with their breakfast.

Internet was not fast, staff very helpful. Price is high. Otherwise it's good. Food was good, weather doesn't have enough variety. My room tap was keep on dreeping. Overall in my opinion it's good experience.

We wanted to stay in town but not in the more noisy part and this fit the bill. The room was clean, spacious and quite comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. We did not use an amenities but everything looked clean. We were very thankful they put us on the ground floor with a door to the outside in our room bc we had our dogs with us, it was convenient and very appreciated, as was the upgrade! Thank you for a great stay!

We have stayed at this hotel a few times. It's walkable to downtown, yet far enough away to avoid the later evening party noise. The staff are Amazing, helpful, friendly and always seem to be in a “Happy to be here” mood. Hint If you find a great underground parking spot KEEP IT and walk. Parking anywhere in Banff is hard to find and can be VERY EXPENSIVE.

Physically this hotel is nice but we were not able to book the room we requested. The reception staff was not friendly or helpful. Because of Covid the usual breakfast was not offered. The breakfast offered was marginal at best and Covid precautions were not followed. The pick-up and take to your room was unsatisfactory. A breakfast voucher or reduced room rate would have been preferred. We did not take the breakfast our second morning.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast service. Only significant complaint is that the shower heads are far too low for medium-tall people- had to crouch down low to get my head under the tap. Overall good experience. Happy with the location to downtown.

The stay at this hotel was awesome the rooms are so nice everything is clean, the breakfast selection is huge, we stayed on the 3rd floor which also gave us some nice views of the mountains. There is also a huge balcony with a table and chair if you would like to sit outside

Rooms are smallish but very cozy. QB rooms are small, but do have a balcony, and King jacuzzi room is awesome. Compact but fun. No balcony on the one we had. Pool and hot tub have lots of window light. Good location for walking to the main drag, and far enough off the main street for minimal noise. Highly recommend staying here.

Large, clean, and modern room that was very comfortable for our family of 5. With 3 beds (1 bed in its own room) we had plenty of room. The room and property were very clean. The decor was modern and balconies with table and chairs. The pool and hot tub area are small but functional. Walking distance to the centre of town. Plenty of parking. Parking is underground and a bit tight, but our mini van fit.

I wasn't expecting that much from this hotel but I really enjoyed our 2-night stay here with my wife and daughter. The room was clean and spacious and had some decent views of the surrounding mountains/hills. we really liked using the little balcony and just sitting and reading. We took advantage of the pool quite a few times! The best was the middle of the day after a walk - it's so relaxing to just go for a float or sit in the hot tub after a morning hike. It's on the outskirts of the town, which is perfect. Close enough to walk everywhere, but far enough for a good nights sleep.

I stayed here with my family for a 3 night visit to Banff. We really enjoyed this hotel and it delivers great value for money. Rooms are very clean and stylishly appointed. It looks more upscale than what you'd expect from a Best Western. Many of the rooms have balconies as ours did, and that was a great place to sit outside and enjoy the views. The bathroom was nice with a spacious shower. Beds were a bit stiff for my taste and bedding could be better, but this seems to be a Best Western thing as other BWs I've stayed at lately have the same beds. There is a convenient underground parking garage with complimentary parking which is a great perk. There is a nice complimentary breakfast available although the breakfast room is pretty hot and cramped... it may be best to take the breakfast to your room and eat there, or go out on the patio. There is a small but nice pool and hot tub with great views. It might not be a dream pool for kids but I'm sure adults would enjoy the hot tub after a long day of hiking or skiing. The location is great as the heart of town is within easy walking distance just a few blocks away. Service is courteous and professional. I'd happily come back to this hotel.

Room looks clean and the balcony as well. Front desk are great. We didn't ask for room cleaning and we have no time to check on their breakfast. All in all our stay is peaceful. Wifi connection not that strong.

Less than 1 km from downtown Banff, we got this place after cancelling the Banff Voyager Inn reservations. For same price we had a working pool, breakfast and air conditioning. The staff was nice, the rooms recently renovated and although it was covid type cold breakfast in a bag, we were fine with that. Recommend this place highly if in the area.

On this instance I went with Best Western because it was a brand I knew, and I wanted something easy and reliable. And that's exactly what you get here. It's not much special, but it's exactly what you expect. The room was spacious and well equipped, though I found the comfort level wasn't quite what I wanted. The mattress was extremely firm to the point of being uncomfortable for me. The pillows were soft to the point that they. didn't offer much in the way of support (I'm a side sleeper). The desk chair was comfortable, but didn't quite recline far enough for my comfort. The armchairs had a soft seat, but a hard, very vertical backrest. The light switches are labelled, but don't light up until you press one, so you can't see the labels before pressing a random button. The bathroom ceiling was high enough, but felt like it hung low. Having got all that out of the way, the staff were pleasant, accommodating, and helpful. There's a convenience store and gas station across the street, so you can easily grab snacks as you need. It's located a little way out from the downtown core, so you can easily walk everywhere, but it's still nice and quiet.

Overall, this hotel is a great place to stay in Banff. Experience was great from checkin to checkout including the small "togo" breakfast. Room was amazing, beds were great as were the linens and towels. Very modern and price was amazing as well!

We stayed at this hotel during our Spring Break trip for skiing at Banff. The hotel was clean, well maintained with a friendly staff. Great hot breakfast! Short walk to downtown. Nice pool and hot tub!

We rate the hotel as excellent overall for a price under $150. It's one of our favorite places to stay in Banff. It offers large, clean and modern rooms with reasonably comfortable beds (the blankets are just a little thin) and nice large balconies with table & chairs. It has great customer service (the lady who works in the morning/afternoon is very nice & helpful). There's a decent breakfast even during Covid (the lady who runs that is also great). It's in a good location - no view, but only a 10-15 minute walk to most restaurants and shops. My biggest complaint during our recent stay over spring break was the OTHER GUESTS. We were on a floor full of families of little kids who were wide awake before 7 am... we could hear them going in and out of their doors (slams each time), talking loudly in hallways, etc. Of course we understand kids don't know any better, so shame on the parents for not telling their kids to be respectful that not everyone wants to be woken up at 7 am on VACATION. The water in the pool and hot tub didn't feel super clean, but it was used all day (cohorts in their own individual time slots). The housekeepers do a great job, but we think they should wear masks while cleaning rooms that will soon be occupied. Regardless, we always look forward to our return to Banff and this Best Western Plus!

I celebrated my 41st birthday at the BW siding hotel. We had the Suite on the 3rd floor and it was gorgeous. We had a jet tub in our room which has the view of the mountains. It was peaceful and relaxing to have your own hot tub in your room with a great view. The location was close to downtown that we just parked our car and walked to our dinner reservation. The staff was quick and efficient. Free decaf in the main lobby is always a treat as well as the decaf tea and coffee in our room. The Suite was clean and really impressed us.

We stayed in a King Jacuzzi Suite. The hotel has been recently renovated and we went on a last-minute getaway to Banff. The room was clean and comfortable and the jacuzzi was such a nice treat! We didn't take advantage of the breakfast that was included because we slept in, express check-out was a breeze as you just put your card in a drop box. There was underground parking included as well.

Everything was fine except for the washroom pot tank was a little rusty. Plus we didn`t get time allotted to us for the pool. Everything else was good. the bedding was nice but the pillows were no fun.

We have generally enjoyed our stays at this hotel, and our recent stay was no exception. On the pluses: we quite like the new interior decor, which was done last year; we appreciate the underground parking; the large windows in our room; their decent bagged breakfast along with hot eggs and sausage; the small pool and hot tub; a spacious room with a balcony; nice new room furniture, we especially liked comfy upholstered chairs and a moveable padded bench that could be used for luggage storage or a footstool; excellent selection of TV channels, including commercial-free channels like Frame and Stingray Music etc; Minor issues: child-friendly heigh bathroom counter with a deep but too small sink; small toilet does not have an elongated bowl; on this stay, dirty windows; although there is a nice table, there is no formal formal desk; although the lighting was generally good, there was only one bedside lamp, we would have appreciated if there were two; front desk staff were friendly enough, but not helpful in terms of dining recommendations. Overall, we like this hotel and will stay here again!

The hotel is located right at the main road next to everything. Excellent facility and great staff. The hotel has an underground parking which is excellent and convenient. Rooms are really spacious and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

Overall not the worst hotel, but broken chair, leaking faucet, and not very well cleaned. If I don't have a gift card I wouldn't be staying there again. Nice pool area and the reception has a nice feel to it

The rooms are spacious, clean, and with new furniture and décor. Everything was above expectations. We have now stayed at the Siding 29 Lodge twice, and I would certainly love to again. It is a great place for families, and a quick drive to Sunshine, Norquay, or Lake Louise. We all slept like babies on the comfortable mattresses, and the kids were even able to do some online schooling on the fast wifi.

A perfect romantic getaway in a jacuzzi room with a king bed. Great way to end a day of exploring Banff. Relax your tired muscles & lounge on the bed watching a good movie with some wine. Looking forward to going back.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Price was great for what we wanted. Didn't have the best view but I'm sure if we paid a bit more we would have had a mountain view. Definitely will be staying at this hotel on our future stays.

We stayed here for one night just this past Friday on our way back from Jasper. To be honest I wasn't expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was our 4th hotel on a ten day trip in the Rockies and ended up being one of my favourites. Check in was fast and friendly. We were given a room on the 3rd floor (street facing - not ideal but we could see the mountains) and the room was extremely spacious and I loved the high ceilings! We had a two queen room and there was a large seating area and a balcony. The room was very clean and the bathroom was also a good size. You could tell that the hotel had been refurbished fairly recently. Decor was updated, and they had a nice selection of personal care products. I would only deduct a half star on the shower. I'm 5'6 and my head was so close to the showerhead! My 19 year old was nearly touching the top of the shower head and it wasn't possible to adjust it much higher. I can't imagine an average man of 5'10 or higher being able to shower in there. There is a tub though so technically I guess you could take a bath, but definitely something to keep in mind. Location was great and we appreciated the free underground parking since it snowed overnight. I was thankful I didn't have to clean off my car in the morning! It was a little less than a ten minute walk into downtown Banff. It was nice not having to look for parking and we could just leave our car at the hotel and walk to the shops in Banff. We didn't use the pool but it was open by reservation. The breakfast in the morning included a breakfast bag (juice box, an orange, a muffin [and a good one at that], a yogurt and a trail bar). There was also an attendant serving hot scrambled eggs and sausages to those who wanted. Compared to the breakfast bag I got at the Hampton in Calgary it was 100x better. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. I would definitely recommend asking for a room on the top floor. The high ceilings made the already large room feel even more spacious. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I'm in the area.

Best Western was nice and clean. Our room was very nice. Looked like it had been recently renovated. Within walking distance to many downtown restaurants, shops, trail hikes, tourists things to see and do. Parking is very tight especially if driving a truck. If you want street parking good luck. It's hard to come by. Staff were helpful and even called us to see if we were coming for breakfast before they closed. Bagged grab and go breakfast were ok, juice and yogurt were warm but it was nice to have that option. The hotel perfect location for us. Close to alot but far enough to be quiet.

Travelling on business puts us in several hotels all over the province. This hotel is very nice. It is located close to downtown shopping and other attractions. Bus stop across the street. Pool is clean and inviting. Front desk staff were excellent. Our room, a single king, was well appointed, and most of all very clean. Bed was comfortable and had great linens. Reasonably priced given that it is located in Banff. We would stay here again.

The room was nice. parking under the building is useful, also the location. shower head is too low ( and I am only 6 feet). didn't like the idea that all guests walking in the corridors see the swimming pool ( others in my group didn't care about it). room was cleaned only where you can see not more than that. it wasn't a very welcoming hotel.

Great location. Right on Banff Ave and you can walk to the trail head of Tunnel Mountain Trail in 15 minutes. Also within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Underground parking is bit tight but still manageable.

Came up to do a run and have a girls getaway. We did some hikes in the area too. We saw a fella dressed as Zoro and one as the tin man which we found amusing. We plan on making this trip an annual event for sure

We had been here a few years ago during their renovation, and it was not a good stay. But we are SO glad we came back! This BW is now truly a "Plus." We love the new decor, it's modern and elegant, a real upscale vibe. Although not huge, the standard rooms are beautifully appointed with all the mod-coms, including USB connections in the wall plugs. Very handy for charging up devices! Our 3rd floor room had a vaulted ceiling, which helped the room feel more open and spacious. We liked our balcony which did not face the road (they call the road-facing rooms the 'mountain view' rooms) but our north facing room had decent views of the mountains too, but no road noise. We also enjoyed the small, adult-oriented pool. Although there is a small shallow section, but the larger deep end is VERY deep, and thus not child-friendly. We appreciated the full hot breakfast, where you tell the attendant what you want, then take the items back up to the room. We appreciated the free underground parking, but a word of warning, it's tight down there! Larger vehicles might not fit.

We stayed just one night at the Best Western in Banff. Social-distancing & wearing masks is mandatory at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The Grab ‘n Go Breakfast, a very good option during the pandemic, was delicious! A bonus of this hotel is the underground parking!

They were very strict about masks in the hotel. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. TV remote was in a sanitized bag . But I was a little sceptical since people were allowed bikes and big dogs in the rooms which left me wondering whether they slept in the bed before me ! Breakfast was juice, apple and a blueberry/ chocolate muffin in a brown bag and omelette and sausages on a plate. There was no bread . Under the pretext of covid the hotels do what suits them ... if a muffin can be provided then why not a croissant or something. There's a coffee dispenser in the small lobby. The staff was cooperative and helpful.

This was an unexpected upgrade from the previous hotel. It was dog friendly with patio walkout to a serene backyard. It was clean and bright and decently priced for a hotel in Banff. The breakfast was okay. Parking gets full quick as well

My stay at best western was very pleasant, everything was in order. Couldn't have asked for more Wish I could have used the pool but due to covid it was all booked. Overall experience was amazing, very reasonable price and exceptional service.

We had a great room with a very comfy bed. The room had a balcony with a bistro table and 2 chairs. The balcony was surrounded by trees and we had views of mountain tops from both ends of the balcony. Due to COVID the hotel was not able to offer their usual breakfast buffet, but instead offered a "grab & go" breakfast. The bag had yogurt, muffin, fruit, granola bar and juice. The breakfast also included scrambled eggs & bacon, and of course, coffee/tea. In fact, complimentary coffee & tea was available in the lobby 24 hrs. The dining room was closed except to pick up our breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast on our private balcony. It was a perfect start to our day. Our stay included free wifi & free parking. The hotel was in a great location; a quick walk to the downtown district. At time of booking we thought it was a little pricey but compared to some of the other hotels in the area, it was cheaper and now after our stay we believe it was a great value for what we got.... a very nice room, plenty for breakfast, free wifi & parking. Plus, a very friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay there again next time we're back in Banff.

The hotel is clean and not noisy. It's located about 10 min walk from the city center. The breakfast variety could be a bit better (i.e. I don't eat bacon and they serve omelette one day with the sausage and next day with the bacon). And due to covid19 you can only take bags to your room. We paid about $220 Cad per night. Previous day we paid for the same-level hotel in BC $135. Probably it's the location??? The price could be a bit cheaper in Banff, especially taking into consideration that the tax is lower in Alberta and hotels stay half-empty as no american tourist allowed to visit Canada. Hotels could attract more Canadians instead by dropping their prices...

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and were so impressed with the cleaning, the staff and beauty rest bed mattresses...I must admit after having spent many nights at different hotel that this is my favorite. It was very quiet and staff so very friendly...I highly recommend hotel and a great deal for a top notch hotel. It's is just a 5 min walk from restaurants...I will be back soon

The hotel was clean and updated, and our room was great! A/C worked well as it was very hot. Comfortable beds, immaculate bathroom and spacious room. Location to main area of Banff Ave was just a short walk. Everything was great and we would stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff are very respectful and helpful. Would go back just for that, from housekeepers to front desk to breakfast attendant, all the employees are amazing. The room is super clean.

We were really happy with the service and the room was well cleaned bed was a little hard but it was OK . The set up that had the microwave the fridge and the coffee was amazing and very helpful the bags for breakfast were really a good idea and we enjoyed them I would stay here again.

The hotel was great, the room was quiet and comfortable. But the breakfast was just a snack in a brown paper bag that had one small apple, one juice box, yogurt cup and fruit bar. there was not real coffee just the make it your self coffee in your room. After we checked out we went and had a real breakfast. When it states breakfast included do no expect it at all at this hotel

Well located hotel just off Banff Ave and within 5 to 10 walking distance of retail and restaurant options on the main drag. Hotel doesn't have much of a front lobby or waiting area for guests. Guest parking is under ground. We got a double queen room with a balcony that was pretty good size, and room had vaulted ceilings at the front portion of the room. Rooms are also clean and reasonably comfortable Other than that, it's a pretty standard BW Plus experience, and we chose for the competitive price point. However there are probably some nicer options along Banff Ave for a few bucks more per night. One thing we were not a fan of was the brown bag to go breakfast. Contents consisted of yogurt, fruit, granola bar, juice and a muffin. I guess it's better than nothing, and we do understand this is temp in nature due to Covid, but it takes away from the breakfast included experience as a primary consideration for those who like to book these types of stays for family oriented road trips etc. Not sure if all BWs are taking a similar approach in this regard, but we sure found the breakfast experience refreshing at our Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn stays on this road trip. Hope BW reconsider their approach as it feels more like an opportunistic cost saving measure in comparison. Other than that, we had a typical Best Western experience, nothing more nothing less!

Pros: -Beautiful room -Friendly service. -Pet friendly! :) Cons: -Blood on shower curtain (ick!) -The shower head had a stream of water that shot up on the very low ceiling and then would drip cold ceiling water on my face. -They left breakfast bags in our room which was nice BUT we didn't get to the room until like 11pm and the yogurts were room temp (we weren't sure how long the bags had been sitting there) so I didn't feel comfortable feeding them to my fam. -VERY limited parking. Had to park pretty far away.

Even though most of the town was still closed due to Covid-19, our stay at the hotel, and our dinner out was an interesting and lovely experience. We were all trying to make the best of a weird situation. A morning bubble bath in the huge spa-tub made the virus world outside disappear for a while. Extra towels and coffee, no problem. Highly recommend staying at this BW.

The staff is alright. Didn't wanted us to have a early check-in. But the room was so pretty ! The wifi is the worst. And it is quiet so thats nice ! The parking was open for everybody tho... the free breakfast is good.

I had a date with a woman that I wanted to impress and thaught that by going with a chain was a safe choice...to my disappointment. The room was the most expensive one they had with a hot tub on the balcony. The hot tub was broken...the Jets were not all working and there were pins coming out of the corner seat where my companion scratched her back and hurt herself. We asked for a late check out in order to sleep in...but they started by calling the room for billing at 11... Woke us up...then the maid walked in on us at 1130... Our check out was at 1pm so we could sleep in...that never happened. Breakfast eggs were liquid eggs... not real ones...quite horrible. Then to top it off when I complained when we were paying the bill at checkout...the front desk girl ignored me and answered the phone to help someone and never even acknowledged our disappointment...handing me the receipt while on the phone with someone else...not even thanking us for our stay. Wow...300$ a night for that...never again... I left out a few details like no bath robes in the room and a light on the deck where the hot tub is flashing right in our eyes...just a disappointment at the highest level.

Very comfortable and affordable hotel with convenient underground parking. Close to the action. One of the best included breakfasts we have ever had. Hot, fresh french toast, eggs, bacon, sausages, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and lots more. Great service.

The most comfortable bed ever! Room has good space and great with a balcony. Got a mountain view as requested, though I was hoping we were on the other side with the nicer mountain view. I still enjoyed the view from our room. My husband didnt have an allergy attack which means the room was clean and the carpets are not that old and “uncleanable”. Location was great and walking distance to walk to town. The lobby is small. We were glad to park underground for free. But parking can be scarce in the summer when its busy.

Rooms were small and clean. Hot tub was far too small for more than 3 people to be comfortable. Breakfast was included, which was a bonus, but the french toast/pancakes always seemed cold. Adequate selection for a family with no dietary concerns. can't speak to ones with issues. close enough to amenities,

This was a great hotel. Parking is a bit of an issue if you drive a bigger vehicle. The rooms were high tech and the remote was clean. I will definitely go back! Pool was nice. Location was great for walking downtown.

The front desk staff were always very helpful and efficient any time we needed them. Breakfast was a great selection of fresh hot and cold items in a bright, organized room. The pool and hot tub were a good size and very clean. The room was nice and compact and very clean. More than enough space for two of us for three nights, and comfy furniture with lots of pillows. Underground parking was a nice touch when it was snowing or windy, but was very busy. We were VERY impressed with the balcony - it was nice and big with a table and two chairs and was super private. A great place to enjoy the view and look at the stars. A nice walk, it is a couple blocks from the shops and restaurants, I'd definitely return.

Great place, just off the Main Street. very clean, staff were great. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Pool small but nice. Location good for getting around. Very quiet at night.Great for families!!

I would recommend this hotel as a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay in Banff. The staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Having a fridge and microwave is a plus. The continental breakfast included in our stay was well stocked and replenished frequently. When in Banff a trip up the gondola is an absolute must on a clear day. The views are spectacular. Dress warm as temps can be 10 degrees cooler at the top. If you are adventurous you can hike the 5.5 km to the top instead of riding the gondola. Many trails in and around Banff to hike so be sure to have proper footwear. Restaurants on Banff Ave are all pretty pricey. Try going a few blocks off the main drag as prices are a bit better and less busy.

I stayed at this location because of the best western flag. I have stayed at other hotels in banff in the past. The reason why I chose BW at banff was because of my past experience with BW and Thier value for $$ . This is a very small motel . You can hear people walking in the hallway & people talking in adjacent rooms. Breakfast was basic but good (continental). Although i signed up for a express checkout , I went to desk to drop my keys and say thank-you as a courtesy before checking out. The clerk completely ignored me and continued doing her thing. Not even a smile or a nod. The price per room for the weekend was same as the elk or the moose , hotels with restaurant on site and close to city center. This is at-least a 12mins walk away from City centre. And no view!! The pictures and use of "city view" term on the website is deceiving . I Do not recommend this hotel!!

Stayed for a couple of days for a snowboard trip. Rooms were clean amd friendly staff. Breakfast was sub par for Best western standards. A few of the "hot" items were more luke warm. Pancakes seemed like they had been cooked hours earlier and no waffle maker unfortunately. Hot tub and pool were pretty good although hot tub is small. Biggest problem I had was the noise. Two of the three nights we were woken up by people in the hall with the people on the second night having a full on drunken shouting match including slamming of doors. May be the downside of being one of the cheaper options in banff. Next time I will make sure to bring earplugs..

We stayed here the week of Christmas. Great location within a very short stroll to all the restaurants and bars. Our room was a good size for a family of 4 . We had a balcony off our room which was great because sometimes it got a bit stuffy with the heaters always on. A great indoor heated pool which the kids loved. The buffett breakfast was great my only complaint was there was not enough sitting. I know it's a busy time of the year but we sometimes had to wait for a table. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Plenty of onsite parking even when it was busy. Loved our stay.

Worst experience ever in more than 30 years Banff…. Every hotel is always (too) hot, not this hotel, a cold room where the heating didn't get the room warm enough. Only a thin cover on the bed, no extra blankets in the room. Don't forget to ask for extra blankets before you go to bed – in the middle of the night it's too late. In the evening there was a lot of noise in the hallway, even more when our neighbours came back from their night out. Lots of loud and drunken screaming, also from girls, waking everyone up. The night reception must have seen them come in but no action or reaction, no security or anything: they just kept screaming to and from rooms and down the corridors for more than an hour. When we wanted to go for breakfast at 7am the next morning, two apparently drunk boys were lying in the stairwell next to our room. Completely in ski clothing, helmets next to them, open cans of beer in their hands. The reception the next morning did not get hot or cold from our complaint about the nuisance and the drunken lads: well, that can happen, sorry! This is what you expect in a cheap motel or hostel, not in a Best Western Plus hotel. There are so many more and better hotels in Banff: choose any one but avoid this one!

We stayed here at the Best Western about two years ago and this hotel has since been renovated. Its georgous. Wow!..... we thought when we opened the door into our room. Classy and clean and oh so comfortable. The beds and pillows - devine! Breakfast was a nice touch but can be quite crowded in the mornings. We just had to stay another day but wish it could have been another week. Staff are awesome. Just loved it here.

Location is conveient as it's off of the main road and a five minute stroll into the heart of Banff. Our trip was distrupted as the appliances in our room (101 ) did not work casuing a foul smell from the fridge and no popcorn for our family movie night. The pool is very small specially if three or more family are trying to enjoy this amendities.

Would not recommend staying here. Service is terrible. Only two parking spots for vehicles with a roof rack or larger trucks so your left to park on the road. Front desk staff not helpful very rude. Will not be back.

This hotel is an ideal spot to stay while visiting Banff National Park and the surrounding area. I stayed here while skiing at Sunshine Village. The hotel is well situated in the town of Banff allowing you to park and walk to all the town spots. Also, the heated underground parking is great - leave your skis and boots in the car to stay warm. The buffet breakfast was a good start to a full day of outside activities. Hot tub and pool for après ski relaxing. The value was excellent.

Even the third party booking representative called them the most uncooperative hotel. My husband had booked the hotel room for a wrong day, it came as a surprise as when navigating the website we had clearly chosen a different date which got changed automatically at check out. When he found out, we had guests and he called the hotel to explain. The receptionist was exceedingly rude and told him to talk to the third party booker which he did, the booking place called the hotel and the hotel said there was nothing they wanted to do about it. When our guests left I called again and fully explained the situation, the booking site called the hotel again looking to get an exception and again were told no. I got escalated to a higher manager (from the third party booking site) to see if they could do something, they once again called the hotel looking for a change, a credit, or refund. Really at this point even for 50% of the cost. The manager apologetically told me that the hotel wasn't budging and was the most uncooperative hotel. Honestly with so many options in the area, avoid the best western, they're interested in right now profit not recurring business. It's one thing for us as consumers to acknowledge their poor customer service but for a third party booking agency to also see it (when they deal with issues like these on the daily) is a clear red flag in doing business with this chain.

Best of both worlds, affordable and conveniently located in addition to very friendly staff. You can park underground then walk to downtown Banff. We've stayed here approximately 30 times over the last 7 years, we love it!

A good place close to the city. Service is good with clean rooms with good rates. They have a pool inside to relax which is good after a tiring walk. The staff is friendly and tries their best to accommodate your requests

Good location, good bed, good price, good food. The front desk clerk polite and prompt.The rooms were renovated with modern electrical features for the lighting. The flat screen TV was good quality and lots of variety of channels. The breakfast was buffet and had good quality food-the room was a bit small but the good food made up for it. Will stay again for sure.

Wife and I stayed in the Hottub King suite. Nice large room with separate area with a couch and tv, large private patio with a hot tub. Friendly service, free breakfast was good, located just outside the town center but still only a 5 to 10 minute walk to of the stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

My beautiful wife and I were heading to Banff for three nights, we love the Best Western Hotel chain, so it was a no brainer where we were gonna stay... It was very easy to find on Martin St. On the north side of the main Banff Ave that brings you into Banff from the Trans Canada Highway. Parking for pick ups over 6 ft is tricky as you will have to park on the street.. otherwise you can take advantage of the underground parking and not worry about cleaning snow off your vehicle if it snows overnight. The place is very nice, the Christmas decorations and the fireplace in the lobby gives it a amazing warm feeling... the staff and service was excellent, the room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The pool looked very inviting along with the hot tub. Every morning the Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, eating in Banff is expensive at best so when you can fill up on a delicious breakfast before hitting the ski hill of hiking is a great was to start the day. The beds were very comfortable, as well as the pillows. We will be coming back again, it is only a short walk from all the shopping and amazing restaurants. Great value for your dollar. Great place to stay

Front desk personnel do not know how to use their own computer systems or provide a coherent response as to why they cannot perform the task requested. Example, split the bill between two nights as one is expensed for business and the other was for personal and non-expensable. Parkcade is has extremely low ceilings and is very narrow. If you are a truck owner such as I, than I would avoid this hotel if possible as there is few spots I could fit. Looks as though it is designed only for cars or parkcade is an after thought of when building built. Other than the lack of knowledge and poor parking, the hotel is decent and average. Nothing extravagant by any means.

I always stay at Best Western hotels but this was our worst experience ever! We had drunk and rowdy guys staying across from the hall. We called the hotel desk 4 times to complain and they never handled the problem till the other guests stopped at 4 am! We also think they we're friends of the man working at the front desk and somehow they figured out our room number and called our room and verbally harassed my husband. We felt threatened and with two young children in the room that were thankfully sleeping through this whole nightmare. We in the end should off called the police. Never again will I stay at this Best Western! I highly recommend the one in Canmore and other locations that we have stayed in B.C. and Alberta.

We were at this hotel for the weekend. I was absolutely pleased with everything, clean, comfortable beds, spacious room, cozy pool, good breakfast, but ...... when we left, I forgot some of our clothes in the closet. I immediately called the hotel and asked to send them. They were sent it to me, with the exception of some new clothes. Do you understand what this means? My clothes are not really valuable and I'm not particularly upset, but this unpleasant situation suggests that the staff is not honest and when you are staying at this hotel, you cannot be sure about your values and clothes. I thing the most important thing in the hotel is comfort and safety. Not at this hotel. I will never stay here again. I'm disappointed

Staff were friendly, warm and courteous. Breakfast was great with a variety of choices. Location is great close to a gas station. Place was well kept, smells clean and nice patio when you're on the main level best access outside great during summer or warmer days.

I was in a pet friendly room, it was a good size and was super clean! Breakfast selection was great. Staff were very friendly. The pictures on the website of the pool are deceiving though, it's actually quite small, the hotel was fully booked so there was no room for us to get into the pool, disappointing as that's one of the reasons why we booked to stay there. The rooms were quiet and the location was awesome, a short walk to the downtown area. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend!

Hotel itself is nice. Some rooms are very small. Ours was good. Breakfast is good. The rooms itself are very loud. People in hallways, people outside. You can hear everything. Between crying babies and noisy bar patrons outside, we didnt get much sleep at all. Offering ear plugs would be a nice touch considering lack of sound barriers.

Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and hot ! Room was upgraded, and neat and tidy. The jacuzzi in the room was wonderful. Hotel pool and hot tub were great and not too cold. Everything was great. Second time staying at this location, and will continue to go back. The location is so convenient and everything is ran smoothly. The underground parking is also an added bonus.

Lovely beds new paint all over the place carpet clean beautiful breakfast I would go back if it's possible to gain this year other ways next year for sure I'm going to come back because the size of the room was amazing

Comfortable bed and one of the best power showers ever in a hotel setting. Great staff & service and a nice welcome for elite members. The layout of the room was quite nice and the TV channels were great. Nice location off the crazy beaten path but close enough to just about everything

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We went into the pool/hot tub a couple times the hot tub has a timer with jets, and the pool water is warm. The breakfast buffet was really good too! Zero complaints, would book here again!

The rooms were very spacious and updated. The beds were super comfy. The only issue was the very small breakfast area. Not enough room to dish up your choices of food and not enough seating. Not enough room at all for people with walkers, canes or wheelchairs.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a Canadian road trip from Vancouver to Calgary. There were four adults in the party and we flew with Air Canada from London. This was a very nice hotel that looked fairly new. The rooms were lovely and I had a great view of the mountains from the window. There was also a nice little balcony with a couple of chairs and a table. In reception there was a nice big fire that was great for warming yourself after being out in the cold. There was also free tea, coffee, and a water machine down there. I also had breakfast here, which was fine - it did, however, get a little congested in the breakfast room, as the food area was quite small and at one end of the room. There was a lovely pool and hot tub, as well as free parking at the hotel, too. This hotel was well positioned for getting out and about, and all the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel and stay here if I came back to Banff.

Have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions. Always very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly, lovely breakfast although the breakfast room is very small and at busy times you cannot get a seat but you can take your food to yoyr room. A kettle in the room would be nice.

We enjoyed our room at this Best Western. We loved having a balcony, so that we could get some fresh air and enjoy the view. Our rooms were large and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and everything was quickly replinished. The location was just a short walk from all the shopping and restaurants in Banff. We will definitely stay here when our plans take us to Banff in the future!

Like other BW Plus properties the Banff location offers very nice accommodation suited to business or leisure travellers alike. Excellent walkability to Banff Ave shops and restaurants. Inclusions like free parking and breakfast are nice additions. No gym, but a family friendly pool offers a nice recreation option as well.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. It was clean and very modern. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room we had, while small, had a balcony with a small table. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a motel. The pillows were the normal sized ones. I was in Heaven. The breakfast bar was stocked with a variety of wonderful choices. And we actually ate off glass plates!!! This hotel was a short walk into town. We enjoyed it very much.

A very nice hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. It was a little way out of the centre of town but it was quiet and peaceful.

The hotel was clean. It is a 10 minute walk to downtown banff. There is a pool with a jacuzzi. The price was a little high but I guess September is still peak season, that's why. The staff was very helpful, since it was our first time in Banff, she helped us with our itinerary. The free breakfast is always a bonus too.

Beautiful lodge type hotel. Large rooms. Digital lighting. Keypad inside entry door and beside. Hot buffet breakfast included. 10 minute walk to town. Can't wait to go back..... No laundry room was only negative.

Enjoyed our stay here. We had an upstairs room with a semi view of the mountains. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We did have to ask housecleaning to vacuum our room. There were a couple of tags left on the carpet from previous guests. Breakfast had plenty of choices to choose from including bacon but the room was very small and not easy to get around. Parking underground was a plus.

They demanded my ID during check in. And they asked if I was Zhengbin Ou, even though my ID says I am not. They spent a good 30 mins trying to find my reservation. They even called their manager. It turns out they let Z Ou check into my reserved room. Although they apologized, they never explained why this mishap had ever occurred to begin with. Do all E Asians look alike to them and they never carefully look at our names? How come James Dean is the sam as Robert Dow? Because their last names start from D. They offered free breakfast. But when we walked in at 8 am, the restaurant was full and we had wait a lot to get a seat for mediocre breakfast. The kitchen worker didn't want to clean up the table until we asked. If you have to stay over in Banff there are hundreds of better alternatives to this ugly place.

Enjoy this hotel when we stay in Banff - price is high in summer due to tourist season but we were able to use points for the stay. New upgrades to the hotel have updated this older property. Easy walking distance from the main street in Banff.

Rooms are modern and very clean. Nice fridge and coffee maker and balcony . Very nice sitting area and yard outside. Our room was by stairs to yard to take our dog outside, supper convenient. The hot tub and pool were great to soak in after a long day of walking. Front staff are very friendly.

We had a wonderful time at Banff. The hotel is conveniently located within a walking distance from downtown. Every night, the family walked to the restaurants and shopping area. I would recommend folks to stay at this hotel when they are at Banff.

Room is good size, clean but feels old/dated. Staff is friendly & accommodating. Breakfast is fine, the area is small -- specially where the foods are -- so it feels congested. Did not use the pool/hot tub, nice option if you have young kids. The underground parking is cramp, I had issues with the access card 3 days where the staff had to reprogrammed it each time.

The outside of this hotel doesn't look incredibly exciting but the inside was BEAUTIFUL. The entire hotel and rooms were completely updated with clean looking, modern furniture and amenities. And I will say, they had the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. I think my only complaint is for all of these perks, the hotel was super spendy, but I think that goes with the nature of the area in Banff. I wish we could have stayed longer!

This Best Western was conveniently located away from downtown, yet was close enough to enjoy Banff. Tours pickup and drop off nearby. Underground limited parking, Marten St. takes you downtown, avoiding the heavy traffic on Banff Ave. Local Buses stop nearby. Our room had a small balcony, with two chairs and a table. We enjoyed our stay.

Very clean, nice sized rooms. Close to all amenities.Great place for last minute trips and planned vacation stays. Impressed with breakfast included and access to coffee and water 24hours. Excellent stay for a small hotel.

We had to cancel our trip last minute due to a highway closure. Their cancellation policy is clearly stated, but we were hoping not be charged the nights stay due to circumstances beyond our control. They charged us the night and when we inquired further we received no response. They were trying to blame it on Booking.com but Booking.com said it was up to the hotel. Overall lack of communication was very disappointing.

A clean and comfortable room with modern decor and amenities. Good breakfast with a variety. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A short walk to many stores and restaurants. I would stay here again.

This is a nice hotel for the 1 night stay. The kids had fun in the pool and we were able to go for a nice walk down the Banff Ave. Breakfast had a good variety of hot & cold items. Parking was easy and convenient and so was the checkout.

We really liked the front desk staffs, MJ and the girl (Ash ?), who were working in the evening we checked in. Good room , good breakfast, and great staffs. Our over all experience was great. Dislikes- A bit pricey, breakfast eating area too small, underground parking ceiling height is really low.

Wy wife and I recently spent 3 nigts in this excellent hotel. We arrived very late (around 1am) after needing to divert our route due to heavy snow in the Rockies. We were warmly greeted upon arrival, parked our car in the on-site undergound garage (excellent) and were quickly in our room. The room was truly amazing for the rate - very large and beautifully (and obviously recently) decorated with modern, good quality fixtures and fitings. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. To cap it all the room was very quient. The (complimentary) breakfast was very good. The hotel is excellent situated close to, but not in, the centre of Banff in a quiet area. An array of restaurants and shops is within walking distance. We very much enjoyed our stay. The rate was good considering the (expensive) location and quality of the hotel/facilities.

Up to the usual Best Western standard with large clean rooms, welcoming staff and excellent parking facilities. Well situated with walking access to the town centre. Highly recommended and will certainly stay there again when next in Banff.

The hotel is in a great location. Provides underground parking, wifi and full breakfast. A small pool and tiny hot tub are available. Rooms have been recently renovated in a nice grey colour scheme, upper floors have balconies, lower has access to walkout deck and table sitting area. Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was very good, girls kept everything hot and full, lots of choice and very tasty. Third floor and some stairwells are still under construction, prices are comparable for the area, but too high for me in the summer. We usually come in low season to get better rates. Overall tho, a great stay.

1. They are changing the carpet of the corredor which is not only accuord but VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. * The room service of the morning runs from 7 am With laud steward cars waking everyone up. * Guests stars yelling around the same time. * They start taking out the carpet of 2nd floor with out finishing the 3th floor. So they keep renting rooms regardless the works or making sure they are not going to disturb the guests. Even after talking to the front (MJ) desk, and ask them to talk with their staff in order to look after the guests, or place some signs asking for silence in order to respect tired guests, they did NOTHING and the next morning was even worst.

Overall we had a great time in a well priced and tidy hotel.Due to a tour group staying the rather small breakfast room was very crowded .Very close to the main street and the lady on the front desk was very helpful.

Our stay at this hotel was great and we won't hesitate to stay here again. Our room was nicely renovated and had an amazing view of the mountains. The beds were comfy, the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was also quite good. It is a nice walking distance to the downtown area and the underground parking, although small and tight, was greatly appreciated. We plan on coming again in October 2019!

Nice hotel, clean rooms and full buffet breakfast included. Heated underground parking and decent pool with a little hot tub. Rom had a microwave, keurig, and fridge. good tv and a nice balcony. Really a very nice room in banff and short walk to downton.

Stayed here May 4 to 5 and will not stay again. Hotel is clean and great location, can't dismiss that - however, customer service is horrible. I had a business card with 2 specific employee names, however, misplaced it - I believe one was Joy though. Either way, admin can review their employee logs to verify names. First issue was at breakfast. The sausage was undercooked and when I told the female staff she said "okay" and didn't proceed to remove it. When I told her that uncooked pork can make people sick, she still did not remove it. Suffice to say, my husband did get sick as he didn't notice. Luckily, I never fed it to my son. When I complained to the clerk at check out, she also said "okay." No apologies, no nothing. When I said because of this issue I won't be staying again, she said "okay." No customer service, no trying to make the situation right, no apologizing for her co-workers behaviour. Another reason my husband could have gotten sick is that the milk literally expired that day. He hadn't finished it at breakfast took it with him and in the car I noticed. Took a pic of this, wish I did of the sausages. Be sure to check all your food if staying here. I hope the owner of this hotel sees this. Will be posting to google as well.

Perfect place to stay in Banff for a spring ski trip! Love having a balcony. Fridge was a plus! I always know every year I can depend on the best value and excellent accommodation! It is great having a full breakfast on site and part of the price!

As a family of 4 we booked a quadruple room which was very spacious with 2 Queen beds and a seating area and a balcony that looked out onto the street. Full size fridge was useful for our picnic lunch stuff and a cold beer or two. WiFi was excellent. Pool was fun for the kids and had it to themselves most times. Breakfast was good as it was included in the rate but the breakfast room is a little tight for space at busy times. Great location for walking up town in the evening for dinner and underground parking was a bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were earlier than check in time but our room was ready anyway. All in all very good value and location.

This hotel which is just steps off Banff Avenue was clean, quiet and well appointed. Guest rooms and beds were very comfortable. The rates are affordable for a resort town and were very competitive with other similar properties in the area.

Fantastic. Excellent value for money. Room was renovated, spacious, nicely appointed, clean and very quiet. I was traveling with my dog and they gave me a main floor room that opened to a patio/green space which was perfect. The underground parking was highly convenient and felt secure. I noticed that it had ski lockers and storage, which I didn't need this trip, but may in the future. Check-in was quick and painless. I was impressed and wish I'd stayed another night. Also, this was the only hotel on Expedia that allowed me to select a specific room configuration that was pet friendly. Some hotels allow dogs in all rooms, which is great (shout out to the Crimson in Jasper and the Pomeroy in Prince George), but some want you to call them after you've booked a room online, which is a hassle, so the BW+'s approach was helpful for online booking.

I think this hotel cares about hotel occupancy metric more than customer satisfaction, and the following is our experience, YMMV. We booked a Thursday stay on Tuesday, on a seemingly good deal on the web site. Best Western has worse cancellation policy compared to other big name hotels but that was taken into our consideration. So on Thursday at around 12 we headed out from Jasper, when we reached the checkpoint to the Icefields Parkway, we were told there was an avalanche service which will block the highway for the next two days, later we learned the service block would be enforced at 2pm, in any case we would not be able to reach Banff from Jasper. So I immediately called the hotel, the hotel manager, whom I know the name but I would not disclose here, did not realize there was a service closure, because it was so new and we could not have checked and found out sooner. Anyway, long story short, she refused my request to cancel saying that we passed the deadline. Not realizing how big of a detour it would be, I told her we would go east in the direction of Edmonton and asked her if she could kindly call us in case the room is sold, she agreed. At around 4pm we reached highway 22, at the outskirt of Edmonton, I called the manager again asking her if she had any chance of selling the room, she said not yet, I told her we were already at the outskirt of Edmonton but she still refused my cancel request, politely, and said she would still call us as soon as the book was booked. So that's still a little comforting. But the call never came, and later we found out from the hotel bill she never even took our phone number at the time(she missed our area code, put down the 7 digits, and padded the remaining 3 digits with random numbers), so that means she never intended to call! Okay after a couple of gas station stops, we drove down Highway 22, all the way to the outskirt of Calgary, then make out way west to Banff. By the time we reached the hotel lobby, it was a whopping 11pm that night. But the ordeal was not over, like the commercial says, but wait there is more. We were assigned a room right next to the breakfast room, and had a terrible night of sleep because the food prep people started working at 4AM! I dont know about you, I had a legit reason to request for a cancel and it was out of my control, and the reason you gave me was oh you passed the cancel deadline and we had too many of those, and some people said car breakdown, is that how you trivialize and de-prioritize your customer?? And to make it worse, you said there is not even a single other room available when I requested to change a room, I felt like I was dealing with a stingy small hotel instead of a name brand like Best Western. I wanted to point out we did get a good deal, and my guess is that because this is a good deal, they will not offer a quieter room because you get what you paid for, but the problem is I was never given a chance to be informed at the time of booking, there was not mentioning of something like oh this is a special rate and the room is noisy and with no views, should I not be informed at the time of booking? So there, this is my experience and not a happy one. Other small intangibles are there is no TV program, you have signal for every channel but you dont know what channel it was; the AC is too loud; downstairs parking was small and congested, in April already, worse than Europe or HK, but the hotel clerk did come down and helped so thanks for that.

So we showed up, they gave us a room that was facing the front entrance/lobby drop off. The front desk were super awesome and switched our room. So we checked into the new room and it smelled like an old ashtray. But I didn't want to be “that kind of customer” so we stuck it out. Woke up from a decent night sleep on a comfy bed and a tv that worked to a damn cold shower. For what you pay you may as well pay the extra $20 and stay at the Rimrock or Buffalo Mountain Lodge.

Nice and newer queen size comfortable beds and pillows. The bed sheets were clean and very comfortable to snug in bed. We had great night sleep in this hotel. The rain shower heads were wonderful. The only thing we would like to add is that their shampoos's bottles are way too small and cannot be squeezed to let the shampoo liquid out. The door in the bathroom (Room 203) cannot be locked. We needed to lock because there were four adults in the room. The breakfast was awesome and we could have enjoyed more though if the coffee is not stale. They should use a better brand since most of us from Washington are coffee drinkers! Overall, our stay here is excellent. MJ The staff at the front desk was very helpful.

The hotel was really nice and in good locatio hardly 7-8 minutes walk to the downtown . We requested to upgrade our room when we arrived,so the receptionist MJ upgraded us to presidential suite and also gave discount on the room. There was renovations going on in the building but we did not hear any noise. The breakfast had great variety of both hot and cold options .The breakfast area was a bit smaller but there was enough food with continuous refilling of every item without delay. Really enjoyed the breakfast and our room. There's a free coffe / tea available 24/7 at the entrance too. I would love to come back again.

The staff was very friendly and easy to approach. Our room was clean and comfortable, although I would recommend to add a few more child friendly channels on the cable. The pool was clean and fun to play in. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience.

The hotel is under renovation and is a mess. Too expensive for an active reno of that magnitude. Wish they would have mentioned it while booking or had it on their website. I'm sure it will be lovely when completed. Don't expect to sleep past 7, lots of noise. I would have switched hotels, however spring break doesn't allow many options to do so. The beds & breakfast were fine. The underground parking worked well and we walked around town. Don't stay here till reno's are done!! Many other options at this price with breakfast included.

Excellent value for one's money. Clean rooms and excellent amenities in the room. Everything was high end. When you stay at BW, you will experience what we did in March. Free underground parking was a nice touch!!

Excellent location, big room, the pool/hot tub were perfect with a mountain view and the staff was friendly. Our room had a balcony, microwave and sitting area. The hotel Is going through some renovations; the best part was the breakfast buffet, so much food!

Hotel is being renovated. Rooms are beautiful and spacious and modern and clean. Excellent linens and comfy beds. The elevator was under construction so abit inconvenient. Underground secure parking lot. Great location at the end of Banff Avenue. Walking distance to everything. Very close to bus stop to get to ski hills. Has a pool and hot tub but the tub is really small. Abit disappointing if you like a good soak after skiing. We had a room facing front and enjoyed the big balcony and the view.

2nd time staying at this hotel and was not disappointed. The rooms are all updated and they really did a great job. The hotel was still under a little construction which for us only meant no hot tub and a temporary from desk. The rooms were clean, breakfast was hot and plentiful and the parking was underground. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants which was not a big deal at all. We even saw some deer along the way. Will be back for sure.

I hate to say it, because I've stayed at this hotel before, but it has deteriorated in treatment of guests. There were renos going on at the time of our stay, they knew it when I made the reservation and said nothing, so that was a surprise. The pool (one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel, as we have kids to entertain), was closed after the first night we were there. The elevator was out of order for a couple hours and no signage or communication to guests, and when I asked about it the response was unfriendly and one word. Not sure if we'll stay here again.

Second time I have stayed here for the annual AWWOA Conference. Love the balconies, underground parking and staff. Breakfast is standard Best Western but is a nice treat. Pool always looks clean and the recent reno of the rooms is nice, hopefully the bathrooms get matched up. New features to the rooms are a ice change

Would not recommend this hotel, better options for similar price that have nicer hotels and friendly staff. Manager on duty did not seem to care about the complaints of smells that other guests were complaining about. The whole hotel smelled of glue. DO NOT BE OPEN WHEN DOING MAJOY CONSTRUCTION TO A BUILDING!

Chose the BestWestern based on reputation and price for an overnight stay while mid week skiing. Even though the Hotel is undergoing significant renovations, we had a great stay. Our room was well decorated and clean with a mountain view balcony. The breakfast was well stocked and complete with hot and cold, self serve choices. A short few blocks walk takes you the main section of Banff.

Specify exactly what you need and you will get it if available . We enjoyed the room it was very clean ,had two very comfortable beds and the washroom was very nice ,clean and well equipped with towels and accessories.

Great place to stay. The hotel is under major renovations and as a result there are a few shortcomings that had to be dealt with. The outside of the hotel was quite messy due to the construction. The water in our room had to be temporarily turned off but was back on very quickly. The reception staff was very friendly and definitely helped make our stay more comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel at a decent price. They are in the middle of renovations but everything was still available. Once the renovations are done it will be very nice! Nice rooms and close to downtown Banff.

From the moment we checked in, it was a awful stay. The "Lobby" was a guest room. We were never informed the hotel is under major construction. We were woken up at 7:30 am than 8:30 am by the construction THAN we called the front desk and they were extremely rude about us asking them to stop the construction that early on a Sunday. We understand deadlines, but to not know of this and be woken up before 9 am is extremely unacceptable. THAN the housekeeping staff stood outside our room from 9 - 11 am laughing and playing videos and chatting.

Stayed here 2 night with my family. Easy check in and out friendly staff. The rooms were clean, spacious, 2 double beds, fireplace, fridge, nice beds, the pillows were not great but the bed was awesome. The wifi kept going in and out and the TV but no big deal. The kids loved the pool and the slide was so fun. Great breakfast and in room coffee.

This hotel consistently provides good service, well appointed and comfortable rooms. 2nd floor currently under renovation with minimal, if any impact on guests. Full buffet breakfast with attention to ensuring items are fresh and appropriate temperatures. A great place to stay within an easy walk to restaurants and shopping.

Our room #322 was a quiet, clean, modern corner room with a walkout balcony. The best part of our stay was the pool area. Heated to a tropical feeling, strong jets and temp of hot tub 100% and a deep perfectly heated pool. Our four year old loved every minute. The breakfast was delicious and the staff throughout hotel smiling and helpful. Even the renovators whistled while they worked. A must stay.

Spent a long weekend here as part of a ski weekend in Banff/Lake Louise. This hotel has some positives and negatives so let's get started: Positives: Spacious rooms: We had a room on the third floor with two queen beds. The room had high ceilings, a sitting area with a table and overall plenty of room. Looks like we got one of the remodeled rooms - it was nice and the bed was comfy. Location: Decent location in Banff. You can walk to Banff Avenue (where all the shops and restaurants are) but it can be a pretty cold walk in the winter, so we drove and parked some of the time. There's a gas station right across the street. Negatives: Breakfast: The area was clean and neat, with just enough seating for everyone. It wasn't chaotic or anything, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. The bacon and potatoes were good but the sausages were gross (they have the sausages with the hard casing on them - ick!) The coffee has to be the nastiest, most disgusting coffee I've ever tasted in my life - and I'm NOT a picky coffee drinker. This wasn't a one-off thing - we were there for several nights and the nasty coffee was present every day. The coffee was so bad that I had to take off a star on the review - yes, it's THAT bad. Under construction: The entire 2nd floor is under construction. I didn't notice any noise but while they're remodeling, perhaps they could add better insulation between the walls of the rooms and maybe make the garage bigger to accommodate trucks? Parking: This is Canada. In the mountains. People drive large SUVs and trucks. Yet, this hotel seems to only cater to those driving small cars. The parking garage has a 5'9" clearance, which really isn't much. So if you're driving a truck, you have to find parking on the street, which isn't always easy and terribly inconvenient. NOISE: Heaven help the person who is unlucky enough to have noisy neighbors who like to cause a ruckus at all hours of the night! We experienced this for 2 nights of our stay and had to call the front desk due to neighbor noise. There is no insulation between rooms!!! You can hear EVERYTHING. No laundry facilities. Overall, it's not a BAD hotel, it's just nothing notable and it's pretty expensive for what it is.

Rooms recently updated and pleasant. Walls EXTREMELY thin, can hear conversations in next room word for word. Hallways very narrow with low ceilings - could not get luggage cart past housekeeping cart. Breakfast plentiful, but mediocre. Location good, but parking garage does not accommodate large vehicles/trucks/SUVs, and on street parking is very difficult.

It was our first time visiting Banff! We decided on our trip last minute so accommodation was limited but we had a great stay. I loved our in room jet tub, it made for a relaxing bath after being on our feet exploring all day! Prices were affordable. I would stay here again.

Staff was attentive , fun and accommodating. Hot tub and pool were very clean . Location is walking distance to all amenities. A fun place to stay. Underground parking is very good. . Travellers feel safe in the building.

We stayed at this hotel as a last minute deal and it was a great spot at a decent price! There is an indoor pool and hot tub, which we did not get to try out because we had other plans. They offer a hot breakfast buffet from 6-10 am with a great selection and it was delicious! Our room was really nice and the beds were super comfortable. There was a convenience store/ gas bar directly across the street and downtown Banff is a couple blocks walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall a great hotel and very nice rooms with wonderful breakfast included. If however you have a full size pick-up truck be prepared to walk a block to park on the street. Otherwise a great place and I slept well

We spent 3 nights in a 2 bedroom suite just before Christmas. Suite was spacious and beds were really comfortable. We found it strange that the air conditioner was on in the room when we arrived however after switching it off we realised why - no matter what we set the thermostat to the room was unbearably hot. We kept the air conditioner on the whole time which made it okay but it did seem very wasteful to be counteracting heat with air conditioning! Location to Banff centre was good, breakfast was a bonus. Reception kindly stored our luggage for the day when we checked out.

Room thermostat did not work. Manager let staff families and hostel visitors invade the complementary breakfast. Said staff family members also took over the pool, where my 2 and 4 year old kids could not swim without being trampleded on.

The hotel was very conveniently located, has underground parking (great for not dealing with snow!), will allow pets, and the room was a large size, with good water pressure, and very nice hotel attendants.

Check in was smooth and the rooms were clean and with fresh linens on the bed. Breakfast was good though the same menu was offered each day. The lobby is a bit cramped. My kids did not like the location of the pool, right next to the lobby. Tea/Coffee and water were always available at the lobby which was good.

Comfortable hotel, close proximity to stores and amenities in Banff. FriendkF staff, clean and well maintained hotel. Breakfast selection was decent. Rooms were very hot, even after opening the windows. Had a maintenance guy come in to inspect, who hardly knew what he was doing or spoke English. Other than the heat situation, had a comfortable stay.

Returned for an annual visit to Banff, and I'm thrilled to report that the Siding 29 still has a really good breakfast. Lots of healthy choices, and a lot of breakfast favourites including pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, oranges, bananas, pastries, yogurts and juices. Outstanding value.

The hotel was great for a few nights stay. The under ground parking is great for those chilly winter mornings! The rooms were spacious and modern, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were a good temperature and easy to maintain. The breakfast was good for a continental breakfast, plenty of options. The only issue was it said their food handling permit expired in September 2018 and it is now December.

We booked in July a weeks stay in Banff at the BW for first week in December. Arrived Friday, was okay. The construction noises started above our room on Saturday am and continued until we left. We asked to be moved to a quieter room, they did not accommodate us. After going out for an event in the am, came back to the room for a quick rest only to be met with more construction noise. This even went on, on Sunday. I finally went out to the car to take a nap. Final faux pas was receiving a note under the door saying that the RCMP would be called and we would be evicted because of our loud partying. We are not party people and are in bed usually before 9 pm. Front desk was puzzled when presented with the notice. They figured it was the wrong room, duh! Our door pass card would never open the door more than once. Real pain having to go to the front desk to get it reprogrammed. I have never seen bacon fried so crisp, why? The beds for some odd reason are very high off the ground, not safe getting off them. Overall next time it's a pass on this place.

We booked our room directly with the hotel. As I had noted the hotel was being renovated I asked about any mess etc and was assured it was all on the 3rd floor so no. But there was trucks and cube vans in front of the hotel making it hard to get in the door. Then we realised the underground parking stated 5ft 9in making it impossible for us to use it. Parking on the street really is a lousy option! Our room seemed fine though the beds were really high. In the evening I approached the front desk to mention I could not get into the bed. She really seemed disinterested. I mentioned I could not access the underground parking, could not get in bed and I was paying for this! Anyway she stated there was a step stool but someone else was using it (go figure) Then she said there was another one some where. This was found. That was a 20 plus minute exercise in frustration. The comp breakfast was really good and the lady who worked it was awesome. But we cancelled our 2nd night and got on the phone to find another hotel as my bed climbing routine had given me a sore back.

We normally always stay at this hotel , and have always had a great experience . However this time around it was brutual right from check in . Room we booked was under reno ( no prior notice ) Staff Unpersonable , and overall hotel tidiness was ok.

I stayed at the Best western Siding 29 Lodge with my mother, we just went up for one night from Calgary so we could catch the Banff Christmas Market. We had a room with two queen beds, the room was clean, spacious and had a fridge, microwave and Keurig in it. the only issue we had was with the temperature, the thermostat really seemed to do nothing no matter what you did with it and when we had it set as cool as can be hot air was coming out of the vent. The breakfast was amazing! There was fruit, oatmeal, eggs, cereal, pancakes, toast, pastries, yogurt, BACON, sausages, coffee and juice. Pretty much anything you wanted for breakfast they had! We did use the hot tub and oh boy was that an experience, the jets were so powerful they would shoot the water over your head and water was spilling out of the tub. The room with the pool and hot tub was enclosed and there was so much chlorine it stings the eyes pretty much as soon as you get in. All in all the staff was great! The room was pretty good and the breakfast was amazing! I will for sure return to this Best Western.

We had a comfortable room and were very pleased with the underground garage especially as it snowed while we were there. The girl on the front desk was not particularly interested in assisting us at all hence only 4 stars. We had booked two nights and then found extending to three nights difficult so we had booked the same room for one more night. The girl was not interested in this and even when told by the manageress to provide the same room for three nights did not do so and on the third day we came back to find the room not cleaned or tidied because she had not bothered to follow the instructions of the manageress. The breakfast provided was extremely good and the lady in charge was most helpful in keeping everything fresh and topped and topped up. The hot oatmeal was extremely welcoming when the weather was so cold. There is a very good range of foods but the size of the breakfast room is rather small so would be a problem if the hotel was very busy.

decided to take my 12 and 13 yr old kids skiing on a real mountain. Instead of a birthday party of trampolines cheap pizza and dollar store gift bags ,i thought a road trip adventure to banff would be a more memorable birthday ! I chose the best western because it had a breakfast buffet included and kids stay free.Having a good cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast of bacon scrambled eggs and toast is the only way to start a ski day and not having to find a restaurant saved time and MONEY as it can be expensive and busy during ski season at a resort. I figure that the breakfast deal saved me at least $50 on my food bill per day .the hotel had a good pool with a small hot tub and the room was clean ,newly renovated and had a fantastic commoin area patio right out our door.We slept well and the pillows and beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet.Our location was good because its not right on the busy downtown area yet a 2 block walk took us to iga grocery store for snack and ski day supplies,. We skied at sunshine village and even though not all the runs were open yet we had great snow ,fantastic views ,and it was sunny and minus 2 deg .up at sunshine ski resort we went for lunch ,and you have to get the butter chicken bowl or the tandoori bowl with naan bread from Omar up on the second floor,.Way better than the nearly $20 burger and fries ,we skied til the hill closed and went back to hotel and swam for a while .I drove my kids up to the banff hot springs pool and upon viewing the OVERCROWDED heavily chlorinated pool from the upper viewing deck , my kids and i decided we preferred our hotel pool . the staff were friendly and helpful and check in and check out were seamless and quick. and my daughter ,who turned 12, said it was her BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

The hotel is clean and well maintained. It looked like the week we were there the hotel was undergoing major room upgrades (new furniture, balcony screens, etc.). The staff go out of there way to help you. This was our 2nd time in 6 years staying at this hotel and we would stay here again easily. We like that the parking is underground. And it's a 2 minute walk to the main street of Banff for quick access to shopping and restaurants. We also loved that our room had a view of the mountains from it. Also the free breakfast every morning was an added bonus. It offers SO MANY options that any kind of diet can easily be satisfied (i.e., waffles, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, 2 brands of yogurts, breads for toasting, fresh fruits - bananas & apples and I can't remember what else, cold cereals, oatmeals, and I am sure I'm forgetting something), along with coffee, tea, and juices.

My wife & I stayed here last trip to Canada 6 years ago and frequently stay at Best Westerns but, with all due respect if we stay in Banff next trip we will try one of the myriad of other choices in Banff. We were upgraded to a king room on the ground floor, we should have kept to original choice on top floor. Didnt realize it had a spa, which we dont use and couldnt if we wanted as a yellow error light kept flashing and we noticed some minor damage around the rim of it. Staff bought us a kettle promptly as requested, as we dont drink coffee ( it amazed me in Canada that most hotels/motels we stayed in, when we asked for a kettle as we dont drink coffee said use the coffee maker but only for boiling water without realizing it is coffee flavoured). Biggest problem, as it affected sleep quality was the flashing light out front,, which seemed to work intermittently all night. We did have some minor problems with the front desk staff both days we were there, fortunuately Bianca sorted the major problem out the morning we left. Dont get me wrong,free continental breakfast, albeit it in small cramped room, undercover parking, room reasonable size, tidy and clean but there are so many options in Banff we will try elsewhere next time.

Had to go to Banff for my oldest brothers memorial and we stayed the night in the Siding 29 Lodge. Friendly staff and the room was super quiet and comfortable, beds were superb and the whole place was clean clean clean. I was born and raised in Banff and to be honest I was very happy to see that some of the service has returned to Banff.

Upon arrival, there was no staff at the front desk, and over our 2 night stay, there was never somebody right there - a bad way to start a stay. We were disappointed with the dirty hallway carpet, and the dirt continued into the room: hairs in the shower, lint in the sink, a stained facecloth, etc. When we walked into the room, the bed was rumpled and there was already garbage in the garbage can. The room is just run-down with beat-up furniture, curtains that don't hang right, and the lampshade was broken. The curtains in the breakfast room were stained and disgusting. We know they are renovating the 3rd floor, but guests will be getting this room for quite a while to come, regrettably. We weren't greeted at either of our breakfasts, although on the second breakfast after we were done, there were some hellos when guests said hello first. This seems to us a sign of poor supervision, management and ownership support. There was free underground parking and our room was spacious. The view from our room was the gas station across the street, and people on the sidewalk, so we could hardly open the curtains. If you need to stay here, just have low expectations and you'll be fine...

Nice clean hotel, The rooms are large with clean toilets. The underground parking was great ,especially when it was snowing. The hot breakfast was excellent. Good variety . Complementary coffee & tea in the lobby are an additional treat while waiting for the coach, etc..

Stayed for 2 nights before our train back to Vancouver, and enjoyed the close location to the train station, while still giving easy access to town and the drive out. Secure underground parking, and good sized rooms (with spa tub if you want). Staff were very accomodating and helpful, booking a very early taxi to the station. Breakfast was manic with a large Asian tour group swooping at the same time, but the staff kept things going without missing a beat.

We stayed here for four days in mid October between seasons. Since the hotel was under renovation I suspect that any issues we had with the room would probably be addressed. everything was clean and maintained. The Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The lady in the breakfast room kept the food hot and fresh. The room items we would like to have changed (and probably will be with the renovations} The beds were comfortable but the base was to high and my wife who is under 5 feet had trouble getting into it. There were no bed tables on the alternate sides of the bed .Air was off for the season and the temperature in the room rose very high at night time. There was no safe in the room. All in all the stay was very nice as service staff in Banff are all very responsive and pleasant {a rare thing now-a-days).

The Best Western Siding 29 is a clean, friendly hotel with an awesome hot breakfast! The location is just a few blocks from the center of town, so is perfect to be close yet too close to the busy hub of Banff.

The outside view was a little dispiriting but the inside was welcoming and comfortable. Clean, good beds, spotless bathrooms, nice - although crowded = breakfast and super staff. Indoor parking. Well done all of you. A big shout-out to the breakfast staff in particular. Re-visit? Oh yes!

We stayed in the suite in this hotel... very comfy beds and lovely bed linen. Breakfast was great loads of choice and plentiful..swimming pool and jacuzzi in the hotel too . Also free juice water tea& coffee available at all times .

We had a fantastic stay in Banff and loved our time at the Siding 29 Lodge. The hotel is extremely comfortable and clean. The complementary breakfast was really good too - the breakfast room gets a little busy at peak times, but there is no problem with taking a tray back to the room if there is nowhere to sit. We didn't use the pool, but only because we didn't have time. It looked appealing though, and has great views of the mountains. The Siding 29 Lodge is in a great location too - just a 15 minute walk from shops and restaurants of Banff. Like most hotels in Banff, the Siding 29 Lodge is a little pricey, but we felt that we got what we paid for, and could not find any fault with it. Overall a great stay with excellent service.

The staff are very friendly, large rooms with comfortable beds although the beds are very high to climb into, especially for a shorter person. Good spacious bathroom. Tiny breakfast room, good food but getting a table can be a real issue. The underground car park is very tight and poorly lit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Dry kind desk staff, clean room, great amenities, SUPER location, and quiet. Breakfast was good, and a little variety more than normal Would definitely stay here again

Stayed here for a night. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The decor was dated but still it's clean. Hot breakfast is good. The location is ideal and close to downtown. Lots of places to eat nearby. Will definitely consider staying here again next time we're in the area.

Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly and relaxed, not much else to say. Nothing exciting about the hotel but a nice place for families to stay when visiting beautiful Banff. Breakfast was included and was decent if not spectacular.

our mountain getaway did not include much in the way of mountain sightseeing due to the smoke, but we enjoyed the hotel amenities which included a full hot breakfast with all of the items you could want. we forgot out bathing suits so could not use the pool nor hot tub, but it was there and so tempting. the hotel is set up nicely, and the underground parking is very much appreciated. I use a walker sometimes, and the placing of the luggage carts next to the handicapped underground parking, which is right next to the elevators, was thoughtful planning.

The motel was high priced for what it it. I guess it's because I went during high season, but still the price per night over $300 does not match the property. The hotel pictures show okay, but in person the hotel is very dated, the rooms are clean and have a microwave and a mini fridge. There is complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. The beds are quite high as I had to clim up to get on it, but comfortable. Breakfast is okay but nothing out of the ordinary. The pool was cold and small. The property is about 10 minutes walk to the main shops in town.

We stayed three nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk was helpful. The only reason I didn't give the review five stars is because the breakfast was ok. The eggs (tasted like powered eggs) and the French toast was lukewarm. The bacon was great and the attendant friendly.

Large room with balcony. Including breakfast but very limited selection and same food for 5 nights; egg powder for scrambled egg, no real eggs. However it saves a lot of money (expensive in Banff) Old but clean. 10 minutes walking to downtown. Love the bed; had all 5 good sleep nights. Comfort bed, clean room, free breakfast, free wi-fi, walking distance to downtown. That's all I need.

well located, has a pool and hot-tub indoors and has breakfast included. Room is nicely appointed, bed is very comfortable. I think all the rooms in Banff are very overpriced so I think you get poor value if you stay over anywhere...but this place is really nice, clean and cheaper than the other expensive places...so you should stay here.

Loved everything about this hotel. Very large clean rooms, comfortable beds, good wifi, great breakfast. I'd read how crowded the breakfast area was but we had no problems. The turnover is quite quick and the food was delicious. Very helpful staff and a lovely ten minute walk to the centre of town. I'd definitely stay here again!

Check in and out were efficient. Room was clean, facing back was quiet. Bed was comfortable. The pool was out of order per Health Dept. This was disappointing as I was planning on swimming. By the time I left, it had not been fixed or serviced for 5 days. I was told I could use the pool a bus ride away, but I should have asked for a discount. This was disappointing and I will check from now on if the pool is open. Breakfast was ok, dining room was tiny.

We arrived off the Rocky Mountaineer after 8pm and settled in. The room had 2 large QS beds, which were comfortable in a good sized room. While it had no robes, slippers or safe, it did have the usual toiletries (no razor), coffee maker, microwave, ironing board, and iron. There are laundry ‘do it yourself' facilities at the hotel for a small charge. They can also send the laundry off site and charge C$30 for a bag - unironed. Also, we enjoyed a small balcony with a table and two chairs. There's an indoor pool for swimmers and the buffet breakfasts, while limited in selection were nourishing and of good quality - starting at 7am. For drivers, there are underground and locked parking, as well as a gas station just across the road. If catching the Brewster shuttle to Calgary Airport, the pick-up spot is just around the corner (100m max.). One can walk to downtown Banff comfortably in ~15 minutes. Lots of eating spots and tourist shops along the way. Can recommend.

Spendy for what you get, but Banff is an expensive destination for everything. Clean rooms comfortable beds, and friendly staff. The breakfast was basic, and the dining room too small. As a bonus, you might see some deer (elk?) just across the street.

Nice clean hotel with underground parking. Easy walking distance to town. Rooms have generous balcony to enjoy after a day of hiking and sightseeing. Front desk staff was helpful in offering suggestions and maps. We would definitely stay here again.

We were just at the hotel for one night, so it was fine, I am not sure I would have stayed more than one night though. It's not that there is anything terribly wrong with it, it's terribly dated (e.g., not a lot of outlets). Also, it is a little further away from downtown.

We stayed here for a few days during a trip to Banff. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. We had a room on the third floor that faced the back of the hotel. It was spacious, clean, and quiet. The room had a small refrigerator, but no safe. We didn't bring too many valuables with us, so that wasn't too much of a concern. We slept comfortably every night. There is a free breakfast in the breakfast area/dining room every morning. The main foods consisted of french toast sticks or pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and breakfast potatoes. They also had pastries, oatmeal, and fruit. Seating in the breakfast area is a little limited, but luckily, we never had any problems with getting a table. There is underground garage parking underneath the hotel, but space is limited. When we were back in the hotel by 7 or 8 pm, we were still able to find open parking spots. One night, we got in almost at 11 pm, and there were no spots left. But the front desk allowed us to park in the driveway instead. The hotel itself is located across from a Shell gas station and just a minute or two drive from the "downtown" part of Banff where all the shops and restaurants are. It was nice to be so close to everything without feeling like we were in a really busy area. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we'd definitely stay here again the next time we come back!

I have recently returned from a wonderful two week trip to the Canadian Rockies with my husband and two adult daughters. We loved this hotel and stayed there at the beginning and end of our holiday. There is only really one negative thing to say about it in my opinion: the hotel facade isn't as aesthetically pleasing as some other typically alpine lodge type properties in Banff. However, the positives more than make up for this. Here are the things we appreciated most of all: It has convenient and free underground parking, a great location - just a pleasant walk along Banff Ave to downtown Banff, a great hot breakfast buffet included in the price - which is a bonus in Banff, lovely airy rooms with coffee pod machines and, last but not least, the comfiest bed I think I have ever slept in! I would recommend it whole-heartedly.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting Banff. The hotel offers complimentary underground parking which was easily accessible. We reserved a room with a jacuzzi tub, which we found was located on the first floor. The service at check in was great, no complaints. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Bathroom was very simple and a bit dated but certainly adequate for our needs. The jacuzzi tub was a nice addition, it was located in the main bedroom, not in the bathroom. There is a pool on site which we did not visit because we were too busy during our stay but it looked nice and well utilized. There is complimentary breakfast however the dining area was absolutely PACKED each morning to the point that we decided to just purchase breakfast elsewhere - a bit more room/ organization to the breakfast area might be a nice touch. The location is not central but we were easily able to walk to downtown for dinner, sight seeing, etc. I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location of the hotel is not central but still good because Banff is not a big town. It's walking distance to everywhere in Banff. Complimentary breakfast is good but the dining area is too small. You can dine outside if the weather is warm enough. The beds are too soft though.

We had a ground floor room at the rear on the building with a patio door opening onto a communal patio area with seating. The room was large clean and comfortable with 2 queen beds. Lovely pool area near reception with a hot tub. Free underground parking with lift up to reception area. Cold water and tea and coffee available all day long in the reception area. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of hot and cold choices, the room was small but we didnt have to wait long for a free table. Good location just a short walk into Banff Center and although it was at the junction of 2 roads it was very quiet. Loved our stay here.

Very good location with only a short walk to the main shopping area and right next to a petrol station so nice and easy to fill up before getting on your way to the next stop, which in our case was Lake Louise. The room was comfortable and clean and about what I had expected having read previous reviews. As others have mentioned the breakfast room is way too small. You either have to get in early or late to easily find a table. I noted one couple had actually taken their breakfast to the sofa in the reception area. The breakfast selection was plentiful and good quality. There is underground secure parking but beware of the height of your vehicle. Our GMC Yukon hire car only just made it with about an inch to spare. Max height was approx. 6 foot 4 inches with the height reducing to 5 foot 9 inches near the lift entrance. No electric kettle in the room but you could get hot water for a cuppa from the urn in reception. Although there was a fridge and microwave in the room there were no plates, bowls or cutlery but you can ask for these from reception.

This Hotel has underground safe parking , bonus the lift takes you to your floor. Huge high bed which was comfortable, very dark inside. Pool very small but ok. The breakfast room is a joke for the size of the Hotel. Self service, even having to put your dirty dishes on the trolley, which not all do, so lazy !! Not that much to offer, very disappointing. Wifi signal was poor.

My husband, sister and 5-year old daughter and I just checked out this morning from this hotel. And i'm very glad we are leaving, because they don't have a lot of things which i am used of getting from other hotel which is cheaper from what they charge. The size of the room is small for 4 of us, there's not much place to lay our luggages, u can only use plastic or cups and there's no utensils at all, not a single spoon or plate. They also don't provide electric kettle, you have to go to the lobby each time u need cold or hot water, unless you're willing to use the water from the faucet which i did. Their coffee in our room was not good as well, if u want a better coffee go to the lobby again. Their internet was terrible, i couldn't download a single page just to read news. The positive side, it's clean atleast and they have complimentary breakfast, that's it.

This is a unique location. Underground, gated, parking. Narrow hallways with very low ceilings. Aggressive door on the elevator. But the room was very large with vaulted ceilings. A small deck (unused because of rain). Bed, amenities all excellent. Not an impressive place from the outside but don't let that fool you. Stay here!

Stayed at a BW Plus in Calgary the night before and quite a difference. This hotel has a dark little lobby and a small breakfast room , breakfast was not at all like the one in Calgary . I will say the hotel is clean and does provide breakfast , the staff were friendly, beds were comfortable . Nice enough place to stay but not a Plus.

I recently stayed at this hotel over the Memorial Day weekend while visiting Banff National Park for the first time. This hotel is a terrific option for anyone who wants to visit Banff and just needs an affordable, clean, pleasant, comfortable, and quiet room in which to sleep. It looks like the people who are complaining that it's overpriced may not know how to use opaque travel agency web sites to get better prices. The room had a slightly musty smell when I first entered, but it dissipated immediately when I started the fan, and the fan was very quiet. The included breakfast is generous and excellent. Now, here's the relatively minor downsides, which is what we all read TripAdvisor for. The hotel is clearly an older structure from the late 1970s or early 1980s. It has been clearly well-maintained, but is dated and could really use a renovation. This is evident in many details like the old elevator control panel and the use of magstripe keycards rather than RFID keycards (which other hotels have been adopting for about five years now). The underground parking garage has a two-way entrance, but the hotel mounts the keycard slider on the left wall of the ramp, meaning that one has to swerve left and right to get in. I noticed that several other neighboring hotels avoid this problem with two one-way ramps wrapping around each side of the building. The garage has a low ceiling and tight spaces. It's fine for compact cars (like the one I had rented) but tight for anything larger. The indoor pool is small and positioned on a mezzanine between the first and second floors which is visible both from the first floor lobby and the second floor corridor. Also, there's no gym or fitness center. The hotel is a long walk from downtown Banff and sits between two bus stops. (All major Banff guidebooks recommend staying near Banff, on a bus line if possible, and walking or taking the bus into downtown.) The awkward location is a minor inconvenience during the summer, but would be more troublesome in winter. But again, these are all minor issues. I would definitely stay here again someday, if and when I return to Banff to see its lakes at their peak color in July.

We happened to stay at the BW due to an overbook at another lodging place. Was not disappointed. Comfortable and good size room for family of 4. Breakfast was good and walking distance to main street of Banff. Parking available at the hotel basement and it is secured. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Banff. Thumbs up ??

We stayed one night in Banff, and booked online last minute. We shortly arrived at the hotel. The hotel is a Best Western. Not overly fancy, no great lobby, but for the price was perfect. I stayed one year prior in a different hotel, where the room looked very similar, for double the price. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable, and a mini fridge in the room with coffee maker. It was slightly off Banff avenue and was walking distance to the core of the towns center. The breakfast was included in the price. It had a decent variety of items including bacon, sausage and eggs. Porage, breads, fruit and yogurt was also available. My only comment would be a bigger room. Was very busy and not not enough seats for every one that wanted one. Underground parking and wifi were available and hotel had a decent size pool with hot tub. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Older property, but redone and redecorated with new carpets and furnishing. Looks clean. Our room was large and spacious with a large screen TV, but no HD channels. Some channels had videos but no audios. The room had a king bed, mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and coffee maker, but no mini safe. View from some of the rooms are not great. The hotel has underground parking. Complimentary breakfast was very good with a number of items, but the breakfast area is small. The hotel has a swimming pool and hot tub. Overall the stay was comfortable.

We stayed at this establishment for one night. The room was clean, and included a reasonable continental breakfast! Our room also had a nice little balcony to sit and enjoy the view. The pool is quite small but functional. It met our family needs (2 queen beds). Our one critique was the price ( over 300$ for one night) and distance to walk with two little ones (several blocks).

We just spent 5 days in Banff and would highly recommend this location. They gave us a gift bag at check-in. Full breakfast every morning. Balcony with mountain view. Coffee maker in the room. Easy walk to the shops downtown, Easy in and out parking. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Once again I stayed at the BW in Banff. Check in was quick and easy, as I had made a reservation online. I was given an upgrade at no additional cost, nice touch. Room was ready, clean and everything worked. Perhaps the bathroom is a little small, but it did not bother me. The entire facility is showing its age, major renovations are needed, but that is to be expected in a place that see a lot of traffic year round. With respect to the underground parking clearance, drivers be warned. It has been noted in other reviews, but I will also mention it that the underground parking only has a clearance of 5' 9” clearly marked. Drivers be warned. There are low hanging pipes that your back hatch may hit when opened or if you a tall person, you will smack your head on them. My only criticism is that the breakfast room is rather small and if you do not get there early all the tables will be taken, be prepared to take your plate back to your room. However, the breakfast itself is much better than what you get at other places, a good choice for all tastes. Overall good value for your hard earned dollars and I will return again.

As a frequent traveler to Banff for skiing trips over the last thirteen years, I can say without reservation that the Best Western hotel is just perfect for those in search of value for money accommodation. It offeres more than most, aside that which you would expect, real friendly staff who will go out of their way to help you enjoy you stay. Skiing is expensive no matter where you go so if you can save a few bucks on something like the basics accommodation then this is a tried and tested recommendation. Warm and very comfortable with a good breakfast to get you started in the morning. I've just taken a party of ten and we All agree that we will use them again.

Great value, clean and friendly. Had a short stay here passing through town. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The hot breakfast was very good, better than your average “hot breakfast”. Great location, just off the main avenue. Plenty of things to see and do around the hotel.

The hotel allows guests to bring pets but the barking of dogs is not monitored. Because of this me sleep was interrupted a number of times through the night and morning. Upon advising the front reception of the problem i was met with a attitude of indifference to my concerns

Stay was great. Breakfast and pool were great with a kid. Love the location. Always comfortable. Second stay there and will go back again. Great value. Large deck was nice to enjoy the spring weather!

Hotel was easy to find and in a great location. Rooms were neat and clean. Plenty of hot water, bathrooms were above average for this type of hotel. Breakfast was excellent, something for everyone. Pool and hot tub were very comfortable.

Good value, good parking. Short walk to town for restaurants and shopping. We were in warm weather season but looked well set up for ski season. Only issue was we had to insist that that they turn the heat on. They said heat was off for the season but with night temps in the 30s and snow flurries in the day their offer of a space heater was not going to cut it. They fired up the main building heat and all was nice when we returned from supper.

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Best Western Plus the second week of February 2018. The BWP is downtown and within easy walking distance of shopping and dinning. Although an older BW it was quiet, had a very good breakfast, comfortable bed, private balcony and good staff. The cost was reasonable and competitive. We would stay at the BWP again.

Great place and staff. The pool doesn't have a dressing/changing room we should walked in our wet clothes to our room. And the heater didn't function properly. Was difficult to sleep. For the price I would stay again for sure

BW Siding 29th compares well in quality and price to many of the mid-priced Banff hotels. (We've stayed at 3 or 4 other Banff hotels over the past 4-5 years.) The rooms are spacious, bath/shower facilities work well, mini-fridge is appreciated, and the underground parking with heated ramp is another major plus. Even when the thermometer dropped to -28 (or lower?) during our 2-night stay during Christmas week, the rooms were cozy without any noticeable drafts. The only serious room problem was the pitifully slow internet, which I measured at only 3mbps down and 0.5mbps up. That speed test was with wifi (not ethernet) during an evening when the hotel was probably almost full, but not acceptable just the same. The included breakfast was welcome in a town where free/included breakfasts are less common than elsewhere. The breakfast room was well stocked with hot and cold options, although the included breakfast at the Best Western in Canmore is definitely better. The breakfast room was relatively small and compact but somehow managed to seat many guests at a time when the hotel was apparently full. The hotel is well located for a moderate stroll to the downtown area. It is also a short walk to a few reasonably good restaurants at nearby hotels, some of which offer nice takeout options (e.g. Carlitos). BW Siding 29 could use some sprucing up in places (entrance and elevators, for example). But in the room, the place is comfy, clean, and just right.

Complimentary breakfast at this price of the room was a pleasant bonus and it was a good breakfast as well, complimentary coffee in the lobby was a plus too. Hot tub was amazing. Room was nice. The bathtub was deep. Our daughter loved the pool. I liked wooden ceiling in the room and a table. There was no gym at this hotel - big deal for me.

We enjoyed a seamless visit and really appreciated all of the amenities in the prevailing foul conditions. The underground parking is easy to access. Check was friendly and efficient and the room clean and well appointed. The only blemish was the completely frozen sliding glass door onto the balcony but you'd have to forgive that when it's minus 28 outside.

We had a last minute check in and they found a room that works perfect for us.The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was amazing and very comfortable. Breakfast was really good too with lots of options in the morning. The cost seemed a bit high at first, however the room was worth every penny, especially compared to other hotels.

Very good location within a few minutes walk to ‘downtown' Banff. Free parking and decent internet speed. Helpful staff and a great breakfast selection. Some parts of the decor looking a little tired but generally clean, if a little dusty around the corners. Nice pool area however the pool itself was a bit cold. My son and I only managed about 10mins before having to get out. I would certainly stay here again if visiting Banff.

Basic hotel. Free breakfast. Pricey compared to what it offers. Close to town center. More than $250/night is crazy, but it's the hot season so we got no choice. Parking spot is for compact cars, but thank god it's free at least.

We stayed here 2 nights over the Christmas holidays. Things we liked: The ample underground parking, fluffy towels, warm and cozy well heated. Staff friendly and helpful. Things we'd change: The breakfast room is too small. Several people had no choice but to eat their complimentary breakfast in the lobby or in their rooms due to lack of space. The pool is heavily chlorinated- my husband and son got a “burn” from the chemical. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay & would return.

Needs updating. The location is nice. But the hotel is very out of date. The staff are nice and it's very close to the downtown Banff area. I would only suggest maybe if hotel update is a reason not to stay to choose the one in Canmore

Siding 29 has been my choice of Banff hotels for the past decade. The improvements that they have made to the breakfast are really great. Hash browns, real scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes plus cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, pastries and toast? Sign me up!

We booked the Presidential suite and were expecting a really nice room for the weekend. Turned out they had just shampooed the carpet a few hours before we arrived so for the entire weekend the carpet was so wet we couldn't even take our shoes off. The furniture was dated and definitely needed replacing. On a more positive note the bed was really comfy and we had our own private deck and hot tub which was nice.

My wife, son (12) and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Siding 29 Lodge in December 2017. We picked this hotel because we have a small dog (Boston Terrier) and it was pet friendly. After checking in, we drove down into the underground parking. Luckily, we travelled in my wife's vehicle because my F350 wouldn't have made the low clearance. Once we parked there was multiple luggage carts sitting there, so shuttling all our luggage up to the room was super easy. The room was large and half the room had a tall ceiling (about 12') so it really added to the feeling of spaciousness. Plus it had a large balcony to hang out on when you wanted some fresh air. The beds were very comfortable which resulted in all of us easily sleeping over 9 hours each night :) We will definitely return to this hotel again.

This was a great place to stay in a place where the hotels are EXPENSIVE. The bed was comfortable, the room was big, and the location was great. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go.

Once again we stayed at the BW in Banff. Check in was quick and easy, as I had a reservation made online. Room was ready, clean and everything worked. The entire facility is showing its age, but that is to be expected in a place that see a lot of traffic year round. With respect to the underground parking clearance, drivers be warned. There are low hanging pipes that your back hatch may hit when opened or if you a tall person, you will smack your head on them. My only criticism is that the breakfast room is rather small and if you do not get there early all the tables will be taken, be prepared to take your plate back to your room. However, the breakfast itself is much better than what you get at other places, a good choice for all tastes. Overall good value for your hard earned dollars and I will return again.

Just got out of the hospital and needed a peaceful place to get away to. Rest was what we got and peace and quiet too. The beds are always comfortable and sleep was precious. Love staying at Banff BW because it's so close to everything and there are many places we wanted to go. Saw the Elk in herds, very impressive. One of our favorite places to escape to.

Good value, nice pool. Right inside the Park and better than some smaller towns along the way. Walking friendly town and plenty of good shops. Choice of fine dinning nearby and majestic mountains all around.

The insulation between rooms is poorer than normal and you can hear all noise above 65 decibels from nearby rooms/areas. We were not able to use the swimming pool or hot tub due to capacity issues (hot tub capacity was 4 people). Television remote was not designed for the network provided and had trouble browsing channels. Only one type of coffee was present. Worst part was the pipes in the room ceiling were squealing like a pig!

After we checked out and were almost home, we realized that we left something valuable in the room. We called the hotel and found out that Erlie the room attendant had reported this to management. We drove almost 5 hours to return to the hotel to pick up our forgotten item and stayed an extra night. We are so grateful to Erlie for his honesty. The room was clean with a nice view. We saw a deer right outside of the patio doors. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items. Walking distance to amenities.

We were attending the Banff Film Festival the next day. We arrived in the snow, happy to learn there was underground parking. Checking in was busy, but holidays are for a slower pace. We embraced the opportunity to look at the pool and the amenities offered. Our room was on the top floor, facing the quiet street, with a "winter wonderland" view. The room had two lovely queen beds, ample space to spread out, and a well appointed bath. The walk to the shops downtown was very pleasant, with several deer to enjoy along the way. We had a very pleasant breakfast in the space provided, and a good variety of items to choose from. We would highly recommend this darling hotel when touring through Alberta.

Very comfortable, nicely decorated rooms with all the essentials needed for a great hotel experience. Full breakfast buffet to get your day in the mountains off to a great start and maximize time. Within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We stayed on two different nights and had two different rooms. Both rooms were great, clean, comfortable bed and clean washrooms. We had to move to Canmore Friday night because the rates were up and was not ready to pay more.

Loved this place with all the bells and whistles. Very comfortable room (although a bit cold, but I could have kept the heater going while sleeping to be fair), had a microwave and the TV was huge and top quality. Shower was great beds also perfect. Uh and we were there sort of off-season but it was cheaper than any other not as post hotel we stayed in during the trip across the country... go figure. Oh and the breakfast was the best.... waffles....mmm.

We were on a Banff to Vancouver train trip. We stayed overnight in Banff. We had to stay in a hotel that is within walking distance to the train station. This hotel meets our requirement. The price is reasonable. The breakfast exceeds our expectation.

Excellent choice hotel, in the center of town. Great rooms, great staff. All around perfect choice. Nice and clean rooms, only one possible negative, the beds are high off the ground which makes somewhat hard to get it. Could use an extra blanket.

We were getting cabin fever so we booked a couple of nights in Banff. It was chilly and the room was quite chilly despite the fact that the room had a thermostat, but while the fan worked we got no warmth from the heat vent. The whirlpool was substandard as well - some jets were placed way too low so they were ineffective; also, the underground parking entry door was left open all day, so if you're worried about your car, don't park there. Our room entry area was quite cramped; however, the bed was quite comfortable and the duvet kept us warm at night. We kept the door open during the day because the hallway was warmer than the room.

This is a busy hotel, and so front staff aren't always at the desk - but come promptly when the bell is rung. Staff were always friendly. This small older hotel is clean but dated. This hotel has the smallest but deepest pool that we have encountered, and it is not child-friendly - no wading area, very big steps into the pool, and the 4 person hot tub was also deep, maybe too deep for a small child. The big plus here, which we loved, was the underground parking - VERY handy when it's raining or snowing. In the small breakfast room, they had real cutlery, ceramic mugs and dishes, but the rooms only had plastic and paper glasses and cups. The bathroom amenities were very basic / standard (cheap), so all together, we don't know what makes this a BW Plus...

Basic accomodation about a 5-10min walk to centre of town. Breakfast is Basic but ok for part of the room cost. We had 2 double beds in the room one was hard as a rock the other super soft other then that I can't fault the room at all. Added bonus of free underground parking so if traveling in the snowy months is a win for anyone!

After coming from the dreadful hotel in Lake Louise (see my report) this was a revelation. We walked into a wonderfully spacious luxurious suite. The beds were huge and sooooo comfortable. From the hotel, one could easily walk into town or nearby for a choice of places to dine. The only small problem was that the room was above the swimming pool and 3 very thoughtless people (not Canadian) were shouting a making a noise late at night. We reported this to reception and they asked them to be quiet............ which they did eventually. We like Banff very much and would recommend that visitors would stay here and only visit Lake Louise as it is dreadfully overpriced and poor value to stay there. I have included a couple of photos of places we visited in Bamff. We went in the fall (end September/early October) stunning.

We booked a spontanios trip to the mountains and found a great deal for a 2 bedroom suite! The rooms are spacious, pillows and beds comfy. The pool and hot tub have great big windows that look at the mountains! We are definatly happy with our last minute getaway and with thr hotel!

We stayed here for a week and found the entire staff to be very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was better than I expected and we never had a problem finding a place to sit in the breakfast room. This was one of the quietest motels I have ever stayed in with no traffic noise and almost no noise from other guests even though there was no vacancy over the weekend. We also loved the underground parking-it snowed during our stay but we didn't need to clean the car off in the morning. It was also a clean and well maintained place to stay. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel is located in downtown Banff. Walking distance to many stores. Booked 3 bed room. Very spacious and clean. Great service. Breakfast is good. Parking is underground but limited especially when you arrive late.

This hotel was out first stop on a 2-week road trip through the Rockies. We have used Best Western hotels frequently and believed the 'Plus' rating to mean that it was a superior hotel with a restaurant. This was not the case and we found the hotel to be a very average experience at a relatively high cost with no outstanding or memorable features.

Nice hotel with big rooms. Fairly new hotel or recently renovated. Good breakfast with clean kitchen area but way too small. Location was excellent, walking distance to downtown. Parking garage included in the price of the room.

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western for 3 nights during a recent visit to the Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper area. Located only a few feet off Banff Avenue, this lodging is in the heart of downtown and within a 10-15 minute walk of all the restaurants, cafes and shopping. We had a king room with an in room Jacuzzi. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. And the continental breakfast, which included hot breakfast selections as well, was among the best we've had anywhere.

This hotel is located 4 blocks of the main area of town so a nice walk gets you to an array of shops and restaurants. The pool is inviting and the staff friendly. The large rooms provide lots of area to stretch out and be comfortable. The complimentary breakfast has a large selection of cold and hot items with including fruit. The centrally run temperature created a frilly warm room when we arrived and the staff explained that they couldn't change it. However,an open patio door cooled the room to a comfortable temperature.

Booked Room by mistake for the wrong month. When we got there for the one night stay, we had no reservation for that night. Called the Booking Company and they switched things around for us but we had to pay the Premium price as no notice on the booking. They had one room left and it worked out but at double the Price...

We stayed here throughout our stay in Banff and had a nice spacious, clean, quiet room. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially the two ladies that did breakfast) and the complimentary breakfasts were good, though the breakfast room was too small for that size of hotel so most mornings it was a little difficult getting a table.

Excellent place still there a few times before,pool and hot tub was great, breakfast first class, had. Mountain view. Front desk was great people, truck was parked underground lot of space for vechiles. Place was clean

Nice hotel, walkable to the centre of Banff and a quiet location. Check in was easy and efficient. Big room on the top floor with coffee maker, full size fridge, microwave. Bed large and comfortable, huge bathroom, plenty of towels etc , good shower. Plenty of storage space in the room and good TV. Wifi was good too. Rooms cleaned really well, Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold items and the fruit was replenished regularly. The kitchen staff were pleasant and hardworking. The eating area for breakfast is REALLY small- we were lucky and found a table whenever we came down to breakfast however lots of people had to wait. Underground car park was never full so we always found a good spot. During our stay we went from warm days to snow- no heating on in the hotel but they brought us up a fire on request. We would stay here again.

Hotel is located near but not too close to town center. Away from the tourist mobs and tour groups. Plenty of good restaurants within several blocks just a short drive. Easy access off the Main Street. Check in was easy and we had a nice size room with balcony. Large bathroom, comfortable bed. Only issue was carpet in room and hallway needed to be cleaned/vacuumed. Thought price was a little high for the quality but of course this is a high tourist area which drives prices. Breakfast was very good with good selection of items. Free wifi available in room nice indoor swimming pool. Also ample parking is available in a clean underground garage.

We stayed here for 1 night and stayed at the Moose Lodge- which we loved- for 2 nights. This hotel was very solid. The room was great- comfortable, roomy, nice bathroom, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Breakfast is included although it wasn't great. Free tea and water in lobby was nice. Service was great. Farther walk from down town, a bit less luxury that the Moose but I would here again for sure if the price was better than the Moose.

It is a good location for Banff. The room was very nice. The pillows were wonderful. The room was larger then I expected. Nice. Nice and clean. If you are going there with a car, get there early, there is not enough room for all cars. The nights we stayed there, a small crew from a car trip were staying in the hotel. Because of that, it was hard to get a seat at the breakfast area. The next day, after the bus crew left, breakfast was much better. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were with in walking distance of great restaurants and things to do. It is also in a good location to visit areas near by. The price was high but everything in Banff is high in price.

This was probably the nicest Best Western that we have ever seen. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Parking was included in the hotel fee, and the breakfast was the best complimentary breakfast buffet that we have seen in any hotel chain. The air conditioning unit was quiet and worked well. The location of the hotel is great – right off the main street and within walking distance to all of the main restaurants and sights.

Overall was quite satisfied with our stay at the Best Western in Banff. Located on Banff Ave which is the main street that runs through the town, you are within a few minutes walking distance from all the main shopping/restaurant areas. There is an underground parking garage which definitely was a bit cozier than what I'm used to in the states. The rooms were standard and clean. The breakfast was complimentary with adequate options. The only complaint would be that the breakfast room is a bit small so had difficulty finding a table during peak breakfast time. Enjoyed our stay here and would no hesitation staying here again

We always try to find a hotel that provides breakfast and has a convienient location. This one met our needs. It was a short walk into downtown while not having the price of the ones along the main drag. Breakfast filled us up for a long day of hiking. I would stay here again

Hotel was too far for a comfortable stroll downtown but evening parking in Banff was not a problem when we wanted to eat down closer to the river and do some shopping. Hotel was clean, quiet, free parking, good beds, and nicer on the inside than the outside suggested to me. Inside pool and hot tub looked outside in glass nice room. Nice free breakfast that starts early by 6 for hikers.

Very satisfied with the high speed internet, soundproof windows/doors, and breakfast (coffee can be improved though). Not too far from downtown area. Free parking is a plus. Price is a little bit high, or I should say very high compared to others. Air conditioning is noisy.

we were a group of 7, staying in a loft like room with two queen beds and a sofa bed, quiet, spacious and clean. staffs were friendly. good location, close to main shopping area. there is a little pool to be used.

Great location - just a short walk from the main shopping area and close to numerous restaurants. Room was Large, clean and well presented. Underground, protected parking is a huge plus. Would gladly stay there again.

Came in to Banff at almost 11pm. Hotels everywhere else were over $300/night including taxes.(and some were with the worst reputation) A tip from another hotel with no vacancy reminded me of the BW. I was pleasantly shocked to learn that I could get a room with 2 queen beds for $139+taxes in peak season. Staff was great, room comfortable and clean. A small fail on the free full breakfast. Undercooked eggs and overly greasy bacon and sausages, but I would overlook this and stay here again due to the overall value and comfort.

Trip was great, we got offered a free upgrade to a jacuzzi suite when we checked in. The pool could use an upgrade but it's a good place to cool off and still swim. Staff was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed it here

We were trying to make it to Canmore but since it was getting late, we tried to find a room. Prices are high in Banff. After a couple stops, we found this hotel when heading out of town. Price was reasonable. Room was big, very comfortable bed, lots of options for breakfast. Also like free underground parking.

We wanted to visit Lake Louise and Banff for longer than a day but didn't want to spend a fortune on a hotel room. I found a decent deal for this hotel and we split the room with 4 people (2 couples). The check-in was easy and friendly. The parking was free. The room was clean and there were enough towels for four people. We were able to walk to dinner since everything was pretty close and the breakfast was also very good in the morning.

We stayed for 4 nights. Nice location - quiet and close to Banff Ave. We walked to Banff town center every night. Clean room, comfortable beds. Polite helpful staff. Nice underground parking (huge vehicles may not be able to use it though). If you come late at night, the parking may be full and you may have to park on the street. Breakfast was good (6-10 am; usual Best Western). Small cramped breakfast room but we managed to get a table every day. Best Western Plus hotels in other towns are generally newer and better looking, but for Banff this was great. We had no issues. There are 2 computers in the lobby with working printers. Front desk is not always attended but ring a bell and they come within 20 seconds. Yes, it is pricey but to be expected for Banff (summer). Did not use pool. The room key cards get demagnetized often and need to be re-issued. According to the front desk person its because I kept it in my wallet next to credit cards. Wifi in room is not the fastest but works. Not much of a view from the room. A/C worked good.

Hotel was very pleasant. We were offered a room upgrade when we checked in and got a nice big room with a balcony. Beds were very comfy and the room itself was nice and clean. The breakfast had good variety and the food itself was good. The service was great. My only issue was the wifi was very slow and I had a lot of issues connecting to it, and staying connected.

The tub was cracked in the middle. There was a toilet brush left in the toilet. The air conditioning unit was old. The parking garage was very old and outdated. The patio door you had to step over to go out.

The room was very nice and updated, microwave and fridge in the room. No view from my room. Pretty sure someone was smoking pot in the room above ours. Balcony railing was starting to rot and seemed very dangerous. Complementary breakfast in the morning was good. Not a lot of parking for over height vehicles like trucks except at the very front and there are two spots. Luckily we got one. Very overpriced though!

Great location in the middle of Banff. Location and price was very good for the peak holiday season. Could not find any Hotels in nearby town. Great pool and hot tub close to our room. Now that we found this gem we will stay there again!

We booked through Expedia for accommodation from Friday, 16 June to Monday, 19 June 2017. The booking was for a standard room, 1 Queen bed, non smoking, refrigerator & Microwave, free high speed internet and free breakfast for 2 per day. The cost was AU$965.98 for 3 nights. When we were in Osoyoos we decided we wanted to stay an extra night in Banff and rang Best Western's direct from our accommodation in Osoyoos. A further night was no problem and we were guaranteed that it would be the same price as we had paid Expedia. The room given to us on arrival was as per our booking BUT the room smelt damp, the bed looked like someone had been sleeping on the top of it, a sandwich was still in the fridge and on the balcony there were cigarette stubs, bits of rubbish and plastic cutlery. My partner went to the front desk and gave them a list of the faults with our room. We were then given another larger room with two queen beds. A great improvement on the old room. The next day as we walked down to breakfast the door to our “old” room had a larger blower in it. The breakfast area was quite small for the number of guests that it had to accommodate. However, at 10 am when there were still some hotel guests eating staff from the reception area came in, helped themselves, dropped food on the floor and went back to the offices behind reception. The card key to our room failed to operate on two other occasions and we had to get it reinstated. At all times when we went to the front desk there was no one there – even on our arrival. There was a bell at first instance but that disappeared. When we left the hotel we asked for a copy of the account and was told that it would be on our email. It was not! On coming home we checked our accounts and it was noted that my partner was charged $411.78. The sum of $411.78 was certainly not what was quoted to us. Also, as there was only one lift to accommodate the hotel guests, the service on it was a couple of months out of date. As I stated above, no response as yet been made to my email to Best Western Customer Service which I sent over a week ago. Would not stay at this hotel again.

The Best Western Plus hotel in Banff is a great place to stay. We had a wonderful room with a king size bed, sitting area and balcony. The included breakfast was wonderful with a great selection of items. Great location.

We don't like to write negative reviews, but we'll make an exception for this hotel. We looked up the standards for a "Best Western Plus" hotel on Best Western's web site, this hotel doesn't come close to meeting them. Starting with the common areas - the lobby is small and sparsely furnished; staffing is at minimal levels - one overworked front desk person. The underground parking has a low ceiling (no car top carriers will clear it) and is very dimly lit - feels like a cave. The breakfast area has poor traffic flow with people constantly having to squeeze around each other in the serving area and with tables packed in very tightly; even so, the number of tables is inadequate and we watched people eat standing up. The WiFi is the slowest that we have ever experienced at a hotel, frequent drop-outs as well. Our room was clean but the layout was poor; the sink is outside of the bath area - all the towels are stored under the sink, better not forget to grab one before going in to take a shower in the bath area. The aroma of frying bacon and sausage filled our room every morning at 6:30AM when the staff started prepping breakfast (and we were on the third floor). You can find somewhere better to stay in Banff, we certainly will next time we visit.

We enjoyed our stay here in July. I loved that this hotel is not directly downtown Banff, but yet close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants. This hotel is a little older, but it was clean and tidy for our stay. The beds were very comfortable. Our room also had a balcony, and we were able to sit outside in the evening to enjoy the fresh air. Breakfast was typical with hot and cold items available. Parking was free and was located underground. The spots seemed to be very tight, but we didn't have any issues.

We stayed here for one night while exploring Banff. The hotel is on the main drag, but still far enough away from downtown that it secluded and pretty quiet. It's an older hotel with parking underground. Parking was pretty tight for our SUV, but we made it work. The rooms were fairly updated and the beds were super comfortable. We booked the hotel a few months out, but it was still on the pricier side – but that is what you get when you stay in Banff during the busy summer season. Breakfast was pretty good as well and had a nice selection of things to eat. Staff members were polite and helpful. Pool was closed with a health violation...not that we had planned on going. We would probably stay here again if we had the chance.

Stayed here in July for 3 nights. We loved the location. It was very close to town so we could walk. The breakfast in the morning was a fabulous full breakfast with everything you could ask for. The have an outdoor area to sit although it wasn't quite warm enough during our stay. Hope you enjoy Banff. We did.

It is away from downtown Banff but still close enough to just stroll over to just about anything you want. Room is nicely equipped, even with a pod coffee maker - modern and convenient but not the most environmentally friendly IMHO. There is underground parking, I guess that's more important in winter than in summer.

Furniture was very used and the room was not well cleaned. Not worth the money and I already considered that Banff is an expensive place to stay. The staff did there job but nothing more. There was no friendly word. The breakfast was just not good.

the stay was great only because we were with family...the hotel was ok but way overpriced...not enough parking for those staying there...the brakfast room was tiny and many had to eat outside on the patio as there was no room inside...

I like this best western. It's located close to the shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. They even have an indoor swimming pool which was nice for young kids to cool down and play.

Hotel worked out fine for our needs. It was clean and everyone was friendly. The cooling/ventilation didn't work but a fan on one speed. Liked the underground parking and convenience to elevator. Very busy with tourist season but the staff handled everything quickly.

We were very pleased with this hotel overall. Our suite was spacious and clean, the beds/bedding comfortable, the breakfast was good (especially appreciated non-disposable tableware), the microwave, fridge, and Keurig were good amenities. Location was great for walking to shops in town.
