We had a lovely stay at Brookshire Suites in the inner harbor of Baltimore. It is conveniently located, has a friendly helpful staff, has a fabulous breakfast, and best of all it has a great valet service that allows you to park and leave, and come back, as much as you want with no extra charge! A shout out to Shannell at the front desk—who was extremely helpful and friendly. Also to Chris our valet.

"Clean with the best customer care"

This place was amazing right from the check in. AGNES was super helpful and she was so friendly with my children.the most beautiful soul to be around. Then came the check out,the young man was super fantastic. Basically I loved this place. It's near the habour. I would recommend this hotel to family members.

"Amazing staff! So helpful and smiles all around."

This was my first visit to your lovely town of Baltimore. I was with a large group of friends (12 total), and we were there for a Navy football game. I'm a Realtor and needed to conduct some business from the hotel computer, and when I had some technical issues, not only did they help me out, but did it with a smile. The customer service was over the top. Hello, Agnes! Thank you...these days it's hard to find. If/when we go back to Baltimore, this is where I want to be. Also walking distance and close to the harbor and numerous restaurants.

"Nice and comfortable."

Nice hotel close to the Inner Harbor. I stayed for just one night due to my schedule, but if I had a longer time period for the area I would have stayed longer, the hotel was impressive. Large room for a single person, modern amenities, and a nice view from the 6th floor. Quiet, a nice feature was the large window bay which I used as a work station and my laptop with nice views of the city. The breakfast was included and was very good. many choices, and a friendly staff. the 10th floor views were even more impressive. I wouldn't hesitate to use Brookshire Hotel in the future. Everything worked.

Checking in was a breeze. Agnes was incredibly hospitable and kind. Our room was fantastic. The stay comes with breakfast. Good location and experience for the cost. Make sure you ask about valet, it's extra however they are more helpful then surrounding parking lots.

Agnes is fantastic!! She made sure that I was well accommodated and the hotel was terrific. The quick and easy service was unusually quick and good. Agnes is a rock star. I'll be back. The free breakfast in the morning is good and the top level view is spectacular. I was close to the harbor and all of the good Baltimore restaurants.

We came for a short vacation with our 3 kids. Agnes at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. She has a great personality and was amazing with my kids. Chef was great too. His food was good but his company was great. He shared his knowledge of the Baltimore attractions and resteraunts that won't break the budget. I wish we had more time to try them all. We will be back. The 2 room suite was a good size but I wish it was better maintained. Nevertheless at this price and experience we will be back

Very close to Inner Harbor and not too far to Camden Yards. Parked car for the weekend, had no reason to move it. Restaurants/bars in the area. Breakfast was okay, a bit crowded both times I went but able to take back to our room, we had a suite so easy to heat up the food. Pictures made it look more than what it was. My view was of a brick wall, disappointing for the price.Only one remote in room for 2 tv's, air conditioning wasn't the best, had to drop to 65 to keep it comfortable.Valet personnel very friendly, costly but added to room charge at the end. Would stay again but other hotels in the area.

A decission was made to treat my Wife to a fun filled day at the National Aquairum in Baltimore, MD. I needed to enhance the experience with an overnight stay and thanks to Brookshire Suites inner harbor I was able to more than exceed both our expectations. We were well informed via "text" about our stay and when our room would be ready as we traveled by staff members as we traveld. Our room was Amazing, with a wonderfull view of the harbor,it was clean, comfortable, and very roomy (request a corner room). Breakfast was delicious, with a inclosed roof top view of Baltimore. A special thanks to Shannell, and Shanay for being professional, and courteous! I've found my favorite hotel for visits to the harbor, and my next cruise out of Baltimore where the port is only 6 min away!!! Im,Over the Top Happy! Thank you all! Wade

"Great location, but needs improvements!"

15/08/2018

My fiance and I booked this using Hotel Tonight's app because of the location and the price. The Brookshire is located a block from Pratt street, which is where the Harbor is. There are lots of places to eat and shop in the area. We tried to check in early, but we had to wait until only 12. The young lady at the desk, Shanay was very polite and helpful. Once entered to our room, we noticed a slight odor, but dismissed it. The next day the odor increased and it smelled liked a dirty diaper was somewhere in the room. The phone wasn't working and when you ran the water in the bathroom sink, the sink near the bed started backing up. My fiance went downstairs to let someone know and Shanay apologized and told us they would change our room as well as upgrade us to a 1 bedroom suite for our inconvenience. The new room was much better and thanks to Shanay and the other gentleman on duty we were happy. This seems to be an older hotel in need of improvements. The breakfast was Ok and little things like wiping down the elevator doors on the inside would have made a difference because it looked disgusting. We would not consider booking there again.

"Brookshire has potential!"

"Great location, great for families"

We chose this hotel because they had suites and were closer to the harbor area where we planned most activities. Suites are important to us with a kid because we don't go to bed at 7 like our toddler. We got a crib from the hotel and were able to put him to bed at 7 and then relax and watch TV in the living area. When we wanted to go to bed we just wheeled the crib into the living area and went to the bedroom. He loved watching the trucks and busses from the big window seats. Breakfast was basic but fine, WiFi worked great. Kind, helpful, friendly staff! Road noise was loud as others mentioned but it is right downtown. It didn't keep anyone awake. Building is older but decorated very modern. I wish the couch was more comfortable but it was fine.

"Nice hotel!"

01/08/2018

I typically book at the same hotel every trip but decided to venture out. We were attending a concert in the area and I chose this hotel. Walking distance to venue and inner harbor. Great price point as well. I booked two rooms. Smaller hotel and the staff was nice but on this weekend we stayed there was no earlier check in available. The staff had a service to text you if there was but it didn't seem to work as when we went back at check in time they stated they texted us but we didn't receive it. I would stay again!

"BEST WESTERN PREMIER YEA RIGHT!!!!!!!!!"

30/07/2018

Stayed one night after staying a day in Washington. Room rate was 113 for a one bedroom suit not bad. After reading reviews I found out that they only provide valet parking for 35$ so I contacted the hotel front desk and the lady told me that there is no cheaper parking because “unfortunately it's on the harbor” not so upon arriving we missed the valet service which was from 7am-11pm and we arrived at mid night. There is in fact a parking garage right across the street for 23$. The room smelled like they sprayed A LOT of some kind of cleaner to mask another oder they were hiding nose burned the whole night. Sirens and cars speeding down the street blasting music all night I could not sleep a bit. Woke up in the morning to take a shower the tub was bouncy like they put a new tub over the old one I was totally turned off. Breakfast oh boy there are about 10 seats u either have to wait ur turn to sit or sit with another guest. Oh yeah they have a scary looking man pictures all over the hotel even over the toilet in the bathroom. Upon checking out the front desk charged me 191$ for a room that cost 113 when I question she said taxes and fees really almost 70 and fees..... she took another look n she made a mistake so make sure u check ur receipt before u leave there is also a 10$ a night destination fee that u may or may not have been told about while booking.

22/07/2018

We were looking for a hotel close to the Inner Harbor attractions and also close to Camden Yards. The Brookshire fit the bill so we gave it a try. It was convenient, clean and had all the amenities we needed. One note: as in many large cities, you are on your own for parking. Overnight parking in the garage across the street was $56.

"Modest Hotel, Good Value "

22/07/2018

The Brookshire Suites is within two blocks of Baltimore's Inner Harbor. We stayed in a one bedroom corner suite with a view of the Inner Harbor for an average of $170 per night (including taxes and fees). The rate also includes buffet breakfast served in the hotel's Cloud Room located on the top floor. Although we arrived before check-in, a room was available. The hotel staff was very friendly, during our stay we received texts from the hotel making sure we were okay with the accommodations and if anything else was needed during our stay. The modest hotel does not have the amenities of a major hotel chain but the price is right

"Hotel and Elite Parking"

4
21/07/2018

The staff at Brookshire were friendly, kind and engaging. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The only complaint I have is some of the outlets did not work in our room. Overall the hotel was maintained well, breakfast options were satisfying, and it is conveniently located near the Inner Harbor. Upon arrival the first individual you see is the valet attendant from Elite Parking. The young man greeted us with a smile, assisted in removing our luggauge, placing it on the dolley, and taking it to the front of the hotel lobby area. Elite parking also offers shuttle service to airports, harbor ports and hospital appointments.. I was in Baltimore for a medical procedure and ha to arrive by 7:30am. The driver was waiting for us at 6:45am. He was informed that there might be a wait time for pick up due to an abundance of shuttle runs, we were unable to provide with a pick up time. I was out of my procedure earlier than expected and requested to be picked up asap. The owner picked us up within an half hour of requested time. The service is inpeccable.

"Great hotel and location"

15/07/2018

We stayed at this hotel the end of June 2018, in a corner harbor view room. There was a Bedroom and a living room area with a pull-out couch. My cousin said the bed was comfortable, and at first I had doubts about the pull-out couch mattress. But I am happy to say it was very comfortable. The suite was roomy, clean and very nice. The fridge actually was very cold...keeping water extremely cold, even icy. Most hotels only have a "cooler" type fridge. The hotel is very contemporary...fun art work...staff were great! Very friendly and helpful...especially want to thank Shanay and Kiar for their smiling faces and helpfulness. The location is about a block and a half from the harbor. And the little welcome bag was very sweet..with bottles of water, chips and candy. I would definitely stay here again. Shanay and Kiar

"the staff was above and beyond wonderful, especially Shanay! she kept us going!!! :-)"

3
10/07/2018

The hotel was nice but there were things that drove me nuts such as the room key/card kept demagnetizing; the bed was way too soft; my room was left open; the dead bolt did not work the second night and the elevator took forever. The suite was very nice and open and the hotel was very clean. Again the staff was very very nice and helpful in all ways.

"LESS THAN EXPECTED"

3
10/07/2018

Not the condition of a hotel that I expected for the price. Room somewhat dated and A/C not operable or repairable. Alternate room not available for exchange. Hotel Manager very nice and helpful. Staff very personable and hotel is not a reflection of them but more of a lack of upgrades. Room had an odd smell like prior use by Guest w/ pets.

"Inner city hotels"

4
09/07/2018

Travelers must understand the disadvantages if inner city hotels. Yes, they are within walking distance of most of the city features, and if the city is safe, nightime strolls are most pleasant. But, first of all, parking. Be prepared for a valet fee of $35 dollars with the possible problems of accessibility to your car at inconvernient times. Usually a tip will add to the costs. The Brookshire Suites also add a "destination tax" which some of the reviewers have complained about. This added $60 dollars for the days that I stayed there. I finally understand that this tax neans that your hotel is in a tourist area (in this case, near the inner harbour). But it comes as a shock when the bill is checked. The hotel itself is a bit worn,. the staff always friendly, and I found the hot breakfasts to be terrific. You couldn't want a better meal. The breakfaast room overlooks the habour. Maybe some of the rooms have a water view. Check it out. Mine had a brickwall view. Typical of urban hotels. But the suggestion is to be aware that the taxes will always surprise you in a negative way. The hotel joins with the city hospital and offers a shuttle service to the hospital, with a tip in the bargain. But the shuttle is a great service to a disabled person like me. I greatly apopreciated it. I would return to the Brookshire Suites, but I would now be aware of the added costs.

"Great Inner Harbor location!"

09/07/2018

This hotel was soooo close to the Inner Harbor, shopping, the best restaurants, and water taxi. We like the all-suites concept this hotel offers. Awesome value for the rates. The hotel was able to accommodate us with early check-in.

07/07/2018

This is our second time at this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice/comfortable. We plan on staying here every time we come back to Baltimore. It's within walking distance of the Inner Harbour and close to so many great neighborhoods. Narisia at the front desk was super helpful with recommendations on where to eat. Highly recommend Dogwatch Tavern (her recommendation). Looking forward to our next visit.

05/07/2018

Stayed at the Brookshire for 4 nights in June. Excellent service, friendly staff (Marissa at front desk), very pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely stay there again each time I go to Baltimore and I highly recommend. Conveniently located. Close proximity to Inner Harbor, Mall and restaurants. Great complimentary breakfast!!! Great rates!!

"Great family place"

03/07/2018

We tagged along with my husband for a work conference, myself and our infant son. The location was PERFECT. Right by the harbour, a 10 minute walk to Port Discovery and the Charm bus stops. We had a corner suite on the second floor with a view of the harbour. The room was so large and perfect with a kitchenette. Bathroom is small, but just enough. The main bedroom was great. We requested a crib and hard pillows and they delivered. It is also nice that there was breakfast included as well. The staff were amazing. The ladies at the front desk were so nice and played with my son. We will be staying here again and again.

"BEST WESTERN BROOKSHIRE"

4
03/07/2018

Nice hotel in a great location. Can't say enough about the staff, especially Kiara and Danielle. Very pleasant. Valet hustles to get your car. If there was/is one drawback, the noise level on the lower floors. I've stayed here a few times and unfortunately the street noise is annoying. Not the staffs fault but ownership should consider redoing the windows with more sound-proof materials/glass. At times you'd think the windows were actually open. Other than that, super place to stay.

29/06/2018

It was a nice place with great staff most especially Agnes. We visited all the places we had on our list as most of them were walkable distace.the rooms were clean and generally every thing was going on smoothly apart from one Merrisa who was a bit disrespectful to my husband.

"Mrs Byrd Margaret."

26/06/2018

I first had a rough time at check-in as a had requested for crib of which the lady called metrics didn't treat me right.i went out with my family but we found a different lady call Agnes who was so friendly and and good. She gave us all we needed and she managed to convince us to stay longer. I will definitely come back. My children like the place and They ask about Agnes the African Queen every day. We shall be back in August.thanks Agnes for making our stay fantastic. Regards family.

"Visit to Camden Yards"

22/06/2018

The service was wonderful, anything we needed was taken care of immediately. The young ladies at the front desk (Shanay and crew) are extremely professional and possess lighthearted humor. The room was spacious and clean. Located near the Inner Harbor and restaurants, you can't find a better deal. This was my second stay here and we will stay again, Thank you ladies for taking the stress of travel away with a smile.

"Good location, Bad Customer Service Skills!"

3
22/06/2018

I booked this hotel thru Booking.com and the confirmation stated that the price quoted was the price I was to pay the hotel. However, at check-out, the hotel wanted to charge me $9.95/day for a "Destination Fee". The clerk tried to explain that it was for the "free breakfast" and the "free wi-fi" included with my reservation. I refused to pay it and it was eventually waived. The Free Breakfast was always not hot. When I asked the waitress if that's what they call the person who prepares the food told me that a microwave was there and that's what it was for. Rude! I have to say that the rooms I stayed in were good. The King Suite was awesome. the Queen suite not so awesome. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work properly.

"Nice room, but...."

2
21/06/2018

The front desk person was really nice. The room size was awesome. However, the housekeeping staff was rude and lazy. I noticed a stain on the mattress and it took them almost 12 hours to take care of it. When the housekeeper arrived to inspect the mattress, she was visibly upset. She cursed the entire time she cleaned it.Because of this experience, I would never stay there again.

"Great Location near the Harbor; "Spot on" customer service"

19/06/2018

We were delighted with the size of our room and the comfort of the bed at the Brookshire but more than that we appreciated the warm welcome from Shanay and the others at the reception desk. They treated us like old friends and honored guests. We were able to get into our room right away even though we were checking in at noon. We had questions about the area that we planned to visit in the evening to attend a play and Shanay checked it out for us, advising us about the safety of that area. They gave us a map and explicit directions for walking there and a phone number to call a cab for the return trip. The valets that took care of our car in the afternoon and the following morning were pleasant and helpful as well. Breakfast the next morning on the 9th floor with a view of the harbor was one of the nicest in any hotel we've ever stayed in--including the waffle machine, a pot of cooked oatmeal and scrambled eggs with cheese. Our only problem was in finding the place to stop the car in order to check in--Lombard Street only had a bus lane right in front of the building and we didn't know to go around the corner on Calvert to leave the car with the valet until we had driven around the blocks several times! I finally dropped my husband off quickly at the front door and continued driving around until he could obtain the directions!

"Extremely disappointed"

2
18/06/2018

I have used best western brand all over the world and I was extremely disappointed at this location especially for the level that they are categorized at. Although the service was good, we did have two major issues. The first being that at arrival we where not told that there was that there would be a 35$ per day parking fee second came the following night up on arrival we had plumbing issues, to which we were changed rooms and we had to pack all over again. Third bring us full circle to the first issue. Not only do you have to pay for parking they DO NOT have a 24 hour vale service, so if for some reason you have an early flight and do not say something you will be screwed since they do not start until 7 am. They did not infor us that we needed to tell them but out of due diligence the night before I did tell them but they did not have my car ready. We almost missed our flight and they were completely fault. Least to say I would not recommend this hotel. Pictures are old and so is this hotel. Not very well maintained.

"Great Bargain!"

15/06/2018

A trip to California was cancelled at the last minute and we decided to try Baltimore. Brookshire Suites had good reviews; a room was available and so we took it. What a pleasant surprise! The king suite was much larger than we expected and included two good-sized rooms. Had a partial view of the Inner Harbor from our living room. Staff was excellent: friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Location was great…1 block from Inner Harbor. Breakfast was served at the top of the hotel in a lovely, bright room with another view of the Harbor. The breakfast attendant was a delightful woman who worked very hard to make everyone feel special. Valet parking was reasonable. There were a few improvements that could be made, i.e., the living room couch was very uncomfortable and sirens on the street were an issue. My daughter just found an app on her cell phone that cancelled out the street sounds and that worked for us. All on all, this hotel worked perfectly for us and we would return when in Baltimore again.

"Birthday done right !!"

14/06/2018

First off the location is amazing so close to everything. Front staff girls Marrissa and Shanay were deffinetly on top of everything from gifts when i walked in to great food recommendations to just a good laugh. Room was great. Beds were comfy but if you got stuck on the sofa bed thats a different story. Bathrooms work and were clean but venting was not great (6 people showering and was hot after 1). Breakfast was good, you can make your own waffels other than that not to special. Did i memtion how great the staff was ? No but really they were amazing even at 2am huge security guy as well. Oh my cousin even asked for a fan and one was brought up right away(Not that we needed it but held her sleep).Would deff go back. Rooms 808/809.

"We always stay here"

5
11/06/2018

This was our 4th trip to Baltimore. 2 pre-child,& 2 with our daughter. We've stayed in2 types of rooms, twice in a suite and twice in a regular room. You can't beat the location or the staff. Breakfast is ok- it's comparable to most other continental breakfasts. The rooms are always clean & the staff makes you feel welcome. I definitely recommend this hotel

"Third stay"

5
08/06/2018

This is the third time I've stayed at the Brookshire Suites during a conference. The rooms have been freshened since the last time and I really enjoyed the black and white curtains and linens. This time my room overlooked Lombard Street and a few of the Inner Harbor. The lobby has been modernized and the staff are excellent. Wifi signal was strong and reliable. They now have a daily "resort" fee-it's more modest than brand name hotels but still somewhat an unpleasant surprise. Breakfast is included and needs a bit of updating. The waffles were excellent, but some of us like to top them with something other than syrup e.g., strawberries, whipped cream, etc. They had fresh fruit, a variety of breads and pastries, hot cereal and eggs (which looked a bit dry).

"I would not recomend"

2
04/06/2018

It's literally a block from the Inner Harbor and about a mile from Oriole Park. The valet is literally in the middle of a busy street. We were told he was busy and to drive around the block and he'd have time when we got back- not good. After the ball game we checked in. Our bedroom AC was broken, the maid brought up a fan - not good in Baltimore heat. The one side of the bed was wet - I have no idea why. Maybe something was leaking. On the positive side, the staff was extra polite. Going forward, if I can't get a room at a few of the hotels I know of downtown, I'll probably stay by the airport and drive in.

Wonderful location. Very close to the ballpark's. View of the Inner Harbor. Breakfast included in the fee. Extremely friendly staff. Rooms were a bit tired but comfortable. Convenient valet parking available.

"Excellent and good place."

29/05/2018

I had good time there and the rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and good most especially AGNES. My team was in and out drunk but she handled it professionally. Thank you so much. I will recommend it to all my friends and hope to see you again in August.

"Really Friendly"

5
29/05/2018

I stayed at Brookshire Suites for 6 days and really enjoyed my stay. Pros - Incredibly Friendly Staff - Clean - Great Views - Comfortable - Delicious Breakfast - Modern Decor - Close to everything Cons - Difficult to sleep in. The guestroom doors slam shut and housekeeping starts early. The city noise is also pretty intense, but that's not the hotel's fault. Seriously, I highly recommend this hotel.

"Remodeled hotel needs a deep clean, great location"

27/05/2018

The lobby is cool, hotel staff are great .. the building just needs a boost to push it into a higher category. Dings in the walls, scuffs on the ceilings, scratched metal inside the elevator .. all easy fixes. Carpeting throughout could use a deep cleaning. Inside the room - a "post smoker" aura seems to be there .. found a black hair on the bath ceiling, and another on the back of the door. Mattress had a deep indentation on one side .. needs to be replaced, or flipped! A/C unit and bath vent could use cleaning / filter. Towels were not dry after hanging up 24 hours .. ? Likely an issue with A/C. Guests are loud, doors opening and closing (loud!) repeatedly throughout the day/night. Nice breakfast at the "C" lounge atop the hotel. Free bottled water. 24 hour Subway shop across the street!

"Excellent hotel and in a convenient location"

We stayed at the Brookshire Suites for one night in May. We were traveling to Cape Cod and wanted to stop to see a friend for dinner in Baltimore. The hotel is located very close to the Inner Harbor and there are so many things to do there. The hotel has valet parking (in and out privileges included). This was very convenient and we were always able to get the car quickly. The staff was very helpful. They even texted me before we arrived to see if there was anything they could do to make our stay even better! The room was nicely set up and included bed (lovely linens), refrigerator and microwave. We used the refrigerator to keep drinks cold. They have a nice exercise room on the top floor. The breakfast is a great assortment and the service there is excellent. We will definitely stay there on our next visit to Baltimore.

The desk worker at check in, Shannell, was very friendly and helpful through out our stay as well as the whole staff. Breakfast was very good and we loved the view in the cloud club. Our room was very clean and that extremely important when staying anywhere so be sure to praise your housekeeping staff. Great restaurants near by and everything we needed was within walking distance. We hope to stay here again when we visit Baltimore in the future.

The doorway clearances in the room are extremely low. My husband, who is 6' 1", had his hair brushing the passages between the rooms This is a decent hotel with good staff. One of the two elevators was down for a significant part of our stay, which meant that cleaning staff (with large carts) had to ride on the one small elevator, even when it was filled with guests. The first room we were given did not have a functioning thermostat. A gentleman came up to replace it (which he did, promptly); however, instead of making us wait for our warm room to cool down, he immediately moved us to another room, which I thought was incredibly considerate, given that the hotel was very full. We had to call for bedding for the pull out -- the linens were delivered to us in less than 10 minutes, even though it was 1 am. (Also, fair warning, the sofa is a stylish but very slippery pleather) The lobby and rooms have large photos of Baltimore musicians Frank Zappa, Mama Cass, and a guy from Counting Crows. The Zappa shot in our living room was a little off-putting to our teen.

"Friendly staff but horrible matress"

23/05/2018

The staff at the check-in was very friendly and competent. The breakfast room has a nice view on the inner harbor. The room unluckily was very dark, the matress and lower part of the bed stained with blood and other things.I feel disappointed with this, since fresh linen was simply put atop really horrible stains which to me seems like betrayal on the customer. There is a small sink in the room and i advise strongly never to look in the cabinet below, which was very moldy. Window view was into an back alley with firestairs of neighbouring building being very close and full of trash. The bathroom was well cleaned but everything is close to end of lifetime. Breakfast is non-sustainable (all one-way plastic cutlery, cups and plates, no greens no whole grain) and lacks variation (no cheese aside cream cheese and no cold cuts). Fruit served was so non-ripe it all went straight to trash (observed this from many customers). Located at busy street, lot of homeless people around but I assume that is just Baltimore.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the staff was super helpful. There is a bit of noise from traffic but that is to be expected. We did not hear our neighbors which was nice. The breakfast was subpar but the view from the top of the hotel where breakfast is served was nice. We would definitely stay here again.

"I wouldn't stay again"

I agree with most of the previous reports: The staff are lovely but the hotel isn't. OK the rooms are large and it's well located but the plumbing could certainly do with an overhaul. It's at a very busy junction and the noise insulation isn't very good. Unless you're used to cars blaring their horns all day and most of the night, you won't sleep well. Personally, I didn't think much of the breakfast either - Everything is on single use plastic plates or bowls with plastic cutlery as well. Even the coffee is in paper cups. Fruit was only available infrequently and the Bananas were only edible on one day out of 5. To add insult to injury, I banged my head on the low beams so often that I've still got a scabbed scalp nearly a week later. If you look on the website, the pictures are carefully taken to make it look like this is a modern, trendy, airy hotel. The opposite is true. The "Red Bar" for instance is a bit of red formica with 3 bar stools in front of it. You have a choice of bottled beer or wine. One final gripe: When I book a hotel at a given price, I don't expect to find 3 other taxes applied to that rate. It added nearly $35 per night to the bill. In conclusion the hotel is adequate but very expensive for what you are getting. I'll look elsewhere next time.

Bad plumbing had to change rooms only to find more plumbing problems. Terrible breakfast cold eggs few choices. No maid service, she told my son she was afraid of the cat.Front desk staff was wonderful. Was not worth the money. Go around the corner and stay at the Residence Inn!

The location of the hotel was perfect, it was within walking distance to absolutely everything, which is great for the price. It was more like having our own apartment than staying in a hotel. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and cozy. I will definitely be staying here for any future trip to Baltimore.

Outstanding hotel, and amazing service. We stayed here for two nights during the light city festival, and the room was spacious and had a very fun style to it. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything, and they all seem very proud of their hotel.

recently visited for a baseball weekend. location is great. one of our rooms smelled of smoke and vomit. the hotel did come and spray to cover the smell. there was a leak in the bathroom that made the carpets wet. we ended up with a fan in the room. the fan did cut down on the noise from outside at night which was quiet loud. . breakfast was included in the price but the hotel added on an additional destination charge at checkin of $10 to cover breakfast and 2 bottles of water/day. boiled eggs had hair on them. not again at this place.

Positives outweigh the negatives,so yea the ceiling are low, the toilet seat is far to small for a adult, and ur gonna pay $30 to park, and if the guy in the next room decides to take a hour shower at 12:30 at night you will hear the water running thru the walls, other than that bed is very comfortable, room is nice and clean, good location and very friendly staff

"Great hotel for my Baltimore stay"

24/04/2018

I had to pass by Baltimore on my way to DC and stayed at the hotel for one night. The room was large and very confortable, WIFI worked great and the hotel is extremely well-located, just 1-block away from the sensational touristic spot Inner Harbor, the main local attraction. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and very well-served

"One and done max!"

Perhaps the rooms are made for a hobbit? That was the first thought as we crossed the threshold of the entry door to our room. Standing 6'3” and my hair grazed the door jam and the ceiling in part of the room. Yes, part. There is a lower ceiling inside the entry and towards the bathroom which had me waking hunched for all the time I'm in the room. It wasn't pleasant. Breakfast was one step up from a continental breakfast. They were often out of things such as cream cheese for the bagels. Once you found someone, they got more within a few minutes. There was a community jar of jelly for your toast which is disgusting sharing a jar of jelly with strangers who may have put their own knife in the jar just after their mouth. The elevators were like a Halloween amusement ride because they moved you but were scary. One broke down during my stay and the other would occasionally stop 6” short of the floor and you have to choose your own adventure if you'd like to get on. If you don't however, there are the stairs but.... when you get to the lobby the stairs are only accessible with an alarmed door so you have two choices to a) set off the alarm and use the stairs to the lobby b) once you reach the bottom head up to the first floor and take the scary elevator. The room key would not work in the room every other day. Sure enough we would get to the room and then ride the scary elevator down to get the key programmed again. The staff was polite and friendly. They even went as far as printing some documents for me which I appreciated. There is a $10 daily fee which is supposed to pay for breakfast, gym and WiFi which is essentially a way to keep the room rate lower in the browsing part of your hotel search and squeeze you when you arrive. I stayed 8 days and it wasn't cool. A bit gimmicky if you ask me. The location is great for access to inner harbor and things around. The windows practically should be left open because they are terrible at keeping out noise. You will hear every truck and the ruckus outside on Friday and Saturday nights. Beware light sleepers! The heat/AC in the room has a thermostat on it but might as well been blank because it just simply didn't work. I was set to 80 degrees on a chilly series of days and was very cold. The WiFi works for most of the day then cuts off and you need to log back in. This is extremely painful because you don't know when it's going to happen and sometimes multiple times throughout the same day. Lipstick on a pig.... It's a best western property (low end hotel chain) with some nice artwork and decoration in the hotel to dress it up. For one night to catch a ball game or something, it's suitable but not a good choice for long term visits or anything of comfort and amenities.

The location and staff was fantastic! It was such a short walk to all the major landmarks and the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful! More over they offer Valet parking per day as cheap as most lots in the city charged for a few hours. The valet staff was outstanding as well and went above and beyond!! I left my charger in the car and asked for the keys to retrieve it and they sent one of their members to get it for me, saving me the walk. As an elderly individual that was a great gesture. They even helped with the luggage and my son's child's stroller, it was outstanding over-service that makes me want to come back to Brookshire again! Highly recommended!

Very nice and helpful staff. Great view from Breakfast area / lounge. The lounge was also a great spot to work from during the middle hours of the day. Internet was very fast and worked well. The location is only a block from a nice walk along the water down to Federal Hill.

18/04/2018

This hotel is only one short block to the Inner Harbor. Located right on the corner. The ladies at the front desk were so helpful. The breakfast was good and included in the price. Eating anywhere in the Inner Harbor is very expensive. So having the breakfast included saved us probably around $60. for the two of us. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. I felt safe.

Stayed here for a meeting in the area. Great location to access the Inner Harbor. Easy walking distance to great shopping and food. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing to consider is it is downtown on a busy street corner and can stay noisy all night. If that isn't an issue, this is a fantastic choice!

Convenient to inner harbor, but downside of continuous noise. AC didn't work very well. "Free" breakfast (hidden charge) was cold and not very tasty. Waited for my car because the valet was MIA. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My daughter pulled out the bed in the sofa to find what appeared to be a urine stain on the mattress. GROSS!! Then I had to go get another mattress down the hall and replace the mattress since housekeeping was gone for the day. How does this happen?

We made reservations months ahead for a wedding. The room we were assigned to someone smoke in a non-smoking hotel. It was awful. There seemed to be no other rooms available because stuck my nose in & said no. The cleaning staff were very helpful. They felt bad but all they could do was clean all the surfaces with a stronger dissifectant & deodorizing spray. It helped but in the curtains etc.but we didn't have a choice but to stay in it. Wouldn't stay there again. They should have compt the room. We were there for 2 nights

"Location for the price"

02/04/2018

The location to the inner harbor was this hotels best feature. Our room was rather odd. We had a room on the first floor. There are only 4 rooms on this floor and I'm not sure if that's the case for every floor. The ceilings are pretty low making it feel Willy Wonka-ish and there was an outlet strip on the floor with the micro and frig plugged into it. I bothered me a lot for ascetic and safety reasons. The room was stuffy and hot. We turned the heat down and actually put the ac on but the room never got to a comfortable temperature. We all slept above the covers! There was also a large mirror just leaning against the wall. My younger son could have crawled behind it and pushed it over. I've never seen so many safety concerns in a hotel room. The breakfast was another one of this hotels best features. It was in a beautiful space overlooking the city and the options were plentiful. We made waffles and they were delicious. Different choices each morning We'd prob pick a different hotel next time but it was fine for our 2 night stay. We used the valet parking for $29 a night and didn't get our car out once. Oh, we tried to use the room service for a late night meal but that was odd too. It seems like they outsource. It was a 1800 number and we were on hold for quite a while then they said 45 mins for it.. we changed our minds.

"Great staff and location, very basic property."

The ladies at the front desk were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but the hotel itself is looking pretty well worn. This is a good location and price if you're not looking for anything luxurious.

Stayed overnight here for a birthday celebration getaway and the staff couldn't have been any nicer! Great place and would recommend it! We will absolutely stay there again! They even surprised me with a birthday balloon! And the continental breakfast hit the spot too. Room was clean and spacious, but the next time I'm going to ask for a room over looking the main road, but if they are already taken, I'll take whatever is available! And the location is close to everything!!

My stay at Brookshire was great, the room was fantastic. I had a suite with an Inner Harbor view. My only complaint with my room was the bathroom. The shower/tub didn't drain and the floor if the tub felt like it had water between the layers. I informed the wonderful ladies once I checked out. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the parking situation. The Brookshire charges you the consumer $29 per night. The parking garage that they use charges only $20. The valet didn't lock my car the first night, needless to say I wasn't very happy.

Stayed at Brookshire Suites for St. Patty's Day weekend. I usually stay closer to Fells point but decided to try Inner Harbor. Stayed at Brookshire Suites many years ago and decided to try it again. The location is perfect a block from the water. We booked a Corner Suite Harbor View. It was a nice view on the 11th floor. The bathroom was a little tiny and the couch was slippery/uncomfortable from the vinyl. Everything else was great. The breakfast area is on the 12th floor with nice view of the harbor. The breakfast had sausage, eggs, waffles, and breads. Pretty good. All the staff people were very nice. I would definitely stay again.

17/03/2018

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The staff is friendly and the place has a cool vibe. We hoped to find decently priced lodging as close to the Inner Harbor as possible, and this was a great choice! It is only a few blocks from all the attractions down at the harbor. We paid just a little extra for 2 nights of valet parking in their garage. It was nice that we could leave our car with them all weekend, since we were able to walk everywhere from the hotel! There are plenty of great restaurants right in the immediate area of the hotel. You can order room service which comes from a cute Italian restaurant around the corner. If you're lucky, you can see the harbor from your room. There are also great views from the top floor where there is a 24-hour exercise room and complimentary continental breakfast. The hotel is old and has low ceilings and a definite old building vibe. But for the most part, the place looks modern and updated with modern furniture and decor. We got a room on the 4th Floor, and the hallway smelled like mildewy water-damage as soon as we stepped off the elevator. That was not a good sign, but our room smelled totally clean, so we didn't fuss about it. I wonder if the other floors smelled damp as well. The room was pretty clean (besides some stains on the curtains...a little turn off), and it was comfortable. We had a nice bathroom and a bedroom with a Queen bed, and a living/kitchen area with a couch, desk and TV. The little kitchen nook had a sink, counter, microwave, mini fridge and coffee bar type thing. Both TVs were finicky and the remotes barely worked, which was frustrating. There was a very cold draft coming from all windows, but the thick room-darkening curtains helped keep the room from freezing. The adjustable thermostat was a plus, so we kept warm. Be aware, you are very close to all the action and traffic at the Inner Harbor, so you will be hearing sirens and traffic late at night, especially on a weekend. There also was homeless and drug activity going on around the hotel. The side street that our room overlooked was busy with some sketchy activity that we kept seeing from our window on Saturday night. However, I would still recommend choosing this place for a great Baltimore experience!

"BW Premier Collection isn't so "Premier""

16/03/2018

First thing I noticed when we walked into our room is that is was sloppy and half renovated. Half of the room was renovated, and the other half wasn't. It's the little things that appeared to be missed. Like the bathroom light switches with years and years of dirt built up, old electrical outlets, fluorescent lights that are dated back to the 80's. It was dark in every single room which leads one to believe they're trying to hide dirt. The room also had an overwhelming odor of disinfectant spray or carpet deodorizer. Upon seeing the room, I was hesitant to go upstairs to the breakfast on Monday morning. My Mom and Dad went up and had breakfast and said it was adequate. They had oatmeal, eggs, bagels, etc. My Mom had a hard boiled egg Monday AM, and 8 hours later she was sick with salmonella. That was the only thing she ate that my Dad and I didn't' have so it HAD to be the hard-boiled egg. Tuesday, my Dad woke up with what appeared to be an allergic reaction to a cat that was obviously in the room prior to us staying there. They apparently allow animals but if that's the case, then why aren't they confining them to one or two floors vs the entire hotel? All it takes is one little spec of dander for someone with a major allergy to get set off. We asked if we could switch rooms and they did allow us to switch rooms. She first switched us to the 10th floor but come to find out, the elevator down button was not working on the 10th floor when I went to go check the room to make sure it was okay before we moved all of our stuff in it. I went back down to the front desk to ask why would you even put us on a floor that the elevator button wasn't working? The elevator down button was sitting right there on the front desk counter. She then gave us another room for the 11th floor. That room ended up being fine and smelled MUCH better! Something else I noticed on Tuesday is that the homeless were walking in and out of the hotel constantly. At one point I got on the elevator and 2 homeless were about to get on the elevator but as soon as they saw me, they backed out. Later on in the day, I was going down to the first floor and one of the homeless ladies got on the elevator on the 4th floor to go down. She had coffee in her hands. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and I was informed that there is someone staying on the 4th floor that they know. The doors need to be locked and guests need to use their room key to get in the front doors. I get that Baltimore has a homeless issue but Brookshire Suites is never going to be considered "Premier" if they continue to allow this. Additionally, I witnessed one of the valet guys giving one of the homeless guys outside a bottle of water. I get the sincereness of the gesture, but again, they're going to keep on continuing to come back if you allow this behavior to continue. At this point, I was pretty frustrated with our stay. I asked the front desk to have a manager call me but I never received a call. About the only good thing about this hotel is the transportation to and from Johns Hopkins. Billy, the driver, is an amazing and caring person. He is patient and more than willing to take you where you need to go. About the only good thing that came from our trip was meeting Billy. Again, if this hotel wants to be considered a "Premier" hotel, they have A LOT of work to do.

I've lived in Baltimore for many years and can't believe I had never checked out this gem until recently. Hip, modern decor--the room was spacious and had a great view. How can you not like a place where Frank Zappa hangs on the wall?! Common spaces were equally stylish, but still plenty comfortable. The staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodating, and the rooms were a great value. You are within easy walking distance to the Inner Harbor and a variety of restaurants. Check out nearby Supano's for a Rat Pack-inspired Italian steak house that always provides the room service food at the Brookshire. We had a great stay here and would absolutely recommend the Brookshire Suites to both local and out-of-town friends.

From my first phone call for reservations, to my departure, was the greatest. Monty, Kiersten, and Eddie, to name a few of the nicest and friendliest staff, I have ever met. Every staff member at the Brookshire, was very friendly and greeted us with smiles and upbeat conversation. They met our every need. Billy our driver, was also very friendly and available when we needed a ride. I highly recommend him to get you around Baltimore. Our suite was spacious and clean. We had great night Sleep on the beds. We set the themostat in living room. An it kept both rooms to our liking. And not Dry. Thats a first, other hotels can never get a good setting. The Breakfast Cloud Club at the top of the Hotel was great! Awesome view of the Inner Harbor. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Great coffee too! 1 short block from the Inner Harbor, made it only a 2 minute walk for us. Places to eat right there at the Inner Harbor. Lots of shopping also. They also have Valet, and parking right next door.

The Brookshire Suites is perfectly located to enjoy the Inner Harbor. The staff is professional, courteous, attentive, and swift to respond. I stayed there for a birthday celebration and everyone in my party had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and the style modern and updated. The pricing was excellent compared to other hotels we looked at it. On Thursdays they have music and food in the lobby and met travelers who were repeat customers. I'm not surprised.

Stumbled acrossed this hotel when a weekend in NY did not go as planned due to a winter storm. Found this hotel on HotelTonight.com for a very good price and decided to book it. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean and comfortable. The next day I decided to extend my reservation one night & Brittany at the desk made sure I would be able to stay in the same room and she was very pleasant. When I called down for extra amenities such as towels and soap, it came up to the room within 5 minutes. The breakfast they offer is sufficient to start one's day: cereal, fruit, eggs, oatmeal. Lastly, the parking for one night was fairly priced at $29 and they had the car for me upon calling 10 minutes ahead. Overall, this hotel was a bang for it's buck & I would stay here again if in the Maryland area.

Maybe not as slick as some places but very comfy and affordable. Easily walkable to Inner Harbor and to Royal Farms arena. Maybe ten min walk to each. Nice staff. included breakfast is decent. Valet parking is basically a must but worth it at about $3o. Would stay again.

Stayed here last year and had a great experience, but it has gone down hill since then. To start, the room was too hot. Granted it was unusually warm for February. Since they didn't have individual thermostats per room to control hot/cold, we were on their winter system with "heat" only. For the first few nights we kept the window open. This was fine until 2 or 3 am when people yelled on the street, trucks sped over potholes, sirens went by (hotels on a main road). Every night we woke up several times. Finally we asked what we could do and they offered to bring a fan up. When we got to our room that night, no fan, bed not made, towels not changed. We ended up having to call them up 3 times, once for the fan (which they were supposed to have brought), once for the towels, and once for them to bring the RIGHT towels we asked for. Ok, fine. We had also been dealing with a wet carpet outside the bathroom. By the time we got back each night after working all day, we were too tired to deal with the carpet, and our bags that kept getting wet from it. That is until our last night there when we got in late from work at 9:30pm, our room had not been cleaned, and the mold smell was unbearable. They moved us to a new room (1004), the one directly above our current one (904). By this time it was past 10pm and I realized all the take out places had closed because it was a sunday. I figured the hotel could at least comp me a dinner from their room service menu since I had been through enough that night with the hotel. When I called down to the front desk, they informed me that in fact they don't have room service and all that menu is that I was holding was a take out menu from a restaurant they partner with. And no, they would not comp my meal. So, I tried again to find a meal that late and came across a bar around the corner serving until 10:30. Just before leaving, we got a call on our room phone and it was the guest services manager, Kirsten. She apologized for the inconvenience we were having and said she would comp us a night, as well as help us find food to eat. I thanked her for being more helpful than the person I had just talked to, told her I would take the comped night but that we found another option for food. We left, ate, and when I finally got back and could take a shower I found that the shower curtain bar was ready to fall off the wall. The curtain wouldn't stay closed, and I had found the source of the leek we had been dealing with all week in our room below. I would be surprised if no one else staying there had mentioned this to them, and nothing had been done about it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Just came home yesterday. Great looking modern hotel. Rooms and hallways are jazzy and snazzy. Wonderful complimentary plentiful breakfast buffet, which is constantly being replenished. Valet parking is $29 no matter how many times you come in and out. Girls at front desk are friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Complimentary bottles of water in the room. Immaculate and modern. Plenty of outlets for recharging electronics. Nice large LG flat-screen tv. Very comfortable bed.

1. my husband was served beer from November 2017 its February! 2. Housecleaning did not change the bed they flipped the pillowcases over. 3. The sink in the bathroom leaked. 4. The elevator had a hard drop when you got on and off 5. They have Dish cable so if it storms or snows in our case you wont have anything to watch or do while your stuck in your room.

"A Suite Place In Downtown Baltimore"

4
14/02/2018

This property is an attractive and well-maintained suite hotel located right in the middle of downtown Baltimore - on the corner of Lombard and Calvert - and a block from the busy Inner Harbor. They have a large lobby with a comfortable seating area opposite a small bar, where guests can grab some coffee. (There was no actual bar service during my stay.) For some reason, a mural of Frank Zappa stares out at it all. My room was a two-room suite with a large living room area, complete with a sink, fridge and microwave; the bedroom was a bit smaller while the bathroom was very small - one has to close the door in order to get in the shower. Still, a comfortable place to lay your head. On the top floor is the breakfast room with a hearty helping of scrambled , eggs and sausages are available on weekdays.

"Nice place to stay. I love the room decor and cleanliness. I especially liked the personal touch in communication."

Loved the location. Easy walk to the Harbor where all the action is. From getting a text that A.M. before arrival asking me if there would be anything I would need before checking in. At check in I was made to feel welcome by the friendly front desk person working there as well as the person who check me out. The breakfast was typical of what you get at most hotels, good and held me till lunch. And the room was clean with comfy beds. Yes this is an older hotel. But in good shape. It's the friendly staff and location that I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

"Last minute getaway!"

30/01/2018

My husband and I decided Saturday we were going to just get up and go. I am a huge savings junkie so it takes me FOREVER to find the best hotel for the best price. Please just make it easier on you and stay here if you want to be a short walk from all the shops and bars. It's wonderful location and the rooms really aren't bad! Remember, you have to pay to valet but this place has (from what I found) the best deal. You're basically going to pay in the upper 100s no matter what hotel you decide (you could find a cheap room but after taxes, valet/self parking, parking garage/Über, trust me it all comes out basically the same- and if you find a better deal then please correct me!) with the room and parking so just do yourself a favor and book here. The breakfast wasn't horrible, the staff was SO kind and location - perfect. Now, the bar isn't really a bar. So if you're looking for a hotel that has that inside maybe keep looking but there's tons of bars nearby you can walk to. Overall, so happy we found Brookshire Suites!

"A call to action- I think not"

1
28/01/2018

Screaming, fighting, and blaring music with subwoofers starting at 9 pm. We politely call the office to notify them and nothing is done. After it escalates and marijuana smoke fills the hallway, we call several more times with again no action. It took 5 calls, until 230 AM to get action to call the police. Police do not show til 5 AM. Sleepless night indeed- DO NOT BOOK HERE.

"LAX Convention "

5
21/01/2018

We come to Baltimore every year for the LAX convention, we usually stay at the Hilton which is connected to the convention center. Well this year we tried to save a little and get a decent hotel at the same time. We did just that! I want to thank Joey the valet I appreciate everything you did to assist my family and I on Friday when we checked in. The service we received at check in with Monty was wonderful as well, she gave us excellent recommendations on food in close proximity to the hotel, which was awesome! The room was large and spacious, comfortable and clean. My only issue was that the ceilings were a little low which might not be an issue for everyone, I am 6'6. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel to our friends and family as well. Thank you and go Tar Heels.

This is one of the better BW hotels I have stayed in traveling for business it offers a great location in the heart of downtown Baltimore. The room was very spacious, comfortable bed just a little out dated appliances. The service I received from the valets to the breakfast staff combined with the location made it a comfortable and fun stay. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the downtown Baltimore Innerharbor area.

14/01/2018

My son and I traveled to Baltimore from Connecticut to check out Johns Hopkins university we booked this hotel through a third party so we didn't know what to expect. Well what a surprise let me start with the valet gentleman Joey & Chris, the service we received from them we knew it was a great choice, greeted us with professionalism handled our bags and ended up having a 10 min conversation with the two men. What two excellent employees you hired. The front desk young lady Kierra I believe was so sweet and friendly during checkin which made it that much nicer, it was a warm welcome as if we were part of the Brookshire family. The room was excellent it was corner suit which had an excellent view super spacious and very clean. The complementary breakfast was a little basic but it got the job done, but the view is amazing! I want to personally thank the Brookshire Suites for the hospitality and excellent customer service we received. It's a no brainer in choosing to stay here the service and the location for the price is unbeatable. I will definitely stay here again in the near future. Ciao

"DO NOT STAY HERE"

1
13/01/2018

Poor communication between the front desk and the management, If you want an update you have to call them even though you have issues with your room. I was suppose to be contacted by a manager and she did not come in nor did the front desk make me aware she would be in later. I had to speak to the front desk. When I asked for my room to be cleaned by a certain time as I had things that I needed to do without being disturbed that never happened either. I was put in two rooms and both rooms had issues from the start. When choosing a hotel I would recommend you to skip over this hotel...

"Excellent staff, fantastic location"

06/01/2018

Delightful surprise affordable suite in the best location. Happened to stay here for a planned business meeting ...and “Cyclone Bomb”hit the Northeast. It was freezing! The staff was so friendly and helpful! I was upgraded to a king suite which was great since I decided to order in through Uber Eats because of the weather. The room was great! Turned the heat to the max with no problem. While it wasn't the fanciest of suites, the bed was comfy and the linens were beautiful, crisp and clean. The bathroom was smaller than others but so clean and had fantastic shampoo, etc. the microwave and fridge were much needed. The rooms was only $89. So the value was fantastic! In the morning my colleague and I asked for an offsite breakfast recommendation and were referred to Miss Shirley's which was delicious. They staff then graciously held our bags after checkout so we could attend our meeting. I will gladly stay again for my future meetings.

"Adiquate"

04/01/2018

If you are looking for an affordable suite that can sleep 4 to 6 persons, centrally located and with some modern touches, this is place for you. We stayed here 2 nights and enjoyed the experience. Close to Baltimore's Inner Harbor and downtown sport complexes & John's Hopkins. Easy access to main highways. A decent breakfast included and served in attractive space on the top floor partially overlooking the Harbor. Lobby/sitting area and small gift shop on the first floor with complimentary coffee & teas. Overall, very good value for money. Small staff but very responsive given that one person seems to be covering a lot of ground.

"Survey"

2
02/01/2018

the location of the place is good but it was not what i expected. The cleanliness of the room was poor, several inconveniences were met. Such examples are like no batteries of the remote control, tv cable was not working, the heating of the room was not reached to our desired level, the price that we paid was more than the price we were expecting when we first booked it.

"Needs updating"

2
02/01/2018

We checked in for 2 nights, 12/30 and 12/31 - probably the coldest nights of the year! Got to the room, and no heat. Maintenance was not able to fix it, so I went down to the front desk to arrange for another room and to speak to the manager to have the room comped. Well - no manager on duty, and the desk clerk did not have the authority to comp the room.I left my phone # and was told that the manager would call me. She did, later in the day, and we were finally moved to another room with heat, and the room was comped for the night before. The new room was warm, but the toilet leaked all over the floor, and should be replaced. Generally, I thought the hotel was "tired" and could use a facelift. Barking dogs in rooms adjacent to our also. On a positive note, Joey the shuttle driver was terrific! A big upside for the hotel.

"Great Location near Inner Harbor"

4
01/01/2018

If close proximity to everything at Inner Harbor is your objective and your budget is tight, this is the hotel for you! This is an older hotel that desperately needs renovation. We booked a corner queen suite for two nights for New Years weekend 2017-18. Prior to booking I spoke to the front desk quizzing them on how much harbor view our suite had & whether we could watch the fireworks from there on New Years Eve. After being assured we could, I booked and convinced three other couples to do so as well. We had a good stay but the management of this hotel is poor. They were fully booked for this weekend but were clearly understaffed in housekeeping & maintenance . We walked into our suite and it smelled like sewage. There was black dirt ringing the bathroom sink, clearly from a backup. An hour after we called the front desk a nice guy from maintenance arrived, worked for an hour and them got houses to come clean the bathroom. We had to wonder if housekeeping had already cleaned the room why did the sink look like that AND why didn't housekeeping alert maintenance prior to our checking? Housekeeping is clearly a weak link at this hotel! Breakfast was usual hotel self serve food. My only complaint is that the tables were not wiped down by staff in between client use. The rest of the staff at this hotel works overtime at trying to make up for maintenance & housekeeping issues, again a management issue in my book. The front desk staff were great, customer relations person Taylor kept in touch with us via text prior to check in and through out our stay trying to make our stay pleasant. It was bitterly cold this weekend and we were extremely thankful for the hotel shuttle service. The driver / valet Joey went out of his way to get us to and from our restaurant reservations on time. This young man really made our stay and we appreciate it very much! This could be a four star hotel. Refurbish the interior, replace the industrial carpet in the rooms and the worn out carpet on the floors.... put in new furniture & fixtures and your staff will not have to spend the majority of their time apologizing. As I said Taylor & Joey worked hard to make our stay great. If you are on a budget this is your hotel. If you want to see the fireworks in the Harbor, check in to the Four Seasons.

"Great Value for this Location"

4
30/12/2017

Conveniently located to the Inner Harbor, shops and restaurants. A bit old and in need of renovation. Great value for the location. Comfy beds. Friendly and courteous staff. Valet parking worth the extra fee. There is artificial scent in the HVAC system.

"Pleasueable stay"

4
28/12/2017

The hotel is very nice and rooms are very comfortable, the only thing is we had a small dog with us and never got the room clean for 4 nights. It needs to be coordinated better when you have a small dog to get the room cleaned at least once or twice. We hadto go to the lobby for add'l things needed. I would have liked to have had my bed changed at least once.

"Check your bill and credit card"

25/12/2017

Check your bill to what they charge their credit card. The two did not coincide. The bathroom was filthy. It needed to be scrubbed. The room was modern but had low ceilings. It was in a great location to the inner harbor,

"Great Xscape Tour"

4
23/12/2017

I cane here to go to a concert at the Royal Farms Arena which was walking distance from the hotel. The building is situated on the corner of Calvert and Easy Lombard, not exactly noticeable but a great locale. The parking isn't ideal, I sat and waiting on the one attendant as others had arrived before me. The parking is $29 a night but I believe you do have in/out privileges. Check-in was smoothe, Eden was very helpful, even printed out directions to the arena for me. I was in a king suite on the 6th floor which was great, I had a view of the harbor which I didn't figure out until the next day because it was dark when I arrived. The room is quaint, not too small but just big enough to be comfortable. One king bed, a flat screen tv, full length mirror, alarm clock and ample light. Oh and a bay window to view the harbor! Breakfast is free and up on the 6th floor, plenty of seating but you may have to double up with others. They offered scrambled eggs, sausage, dry cereal, oatmeal, fruit, juice and make your own waffles. I really like this place and hope to return soon! I believe the building is old so the room creaked and moaned but the bed was so comfortable and I slept like a baby.

The staff was friendly although it took a couple of tries to get our room serviced. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of hot water. Within walking distance of the harbor. It wasn't the best but I would probably stay again

This is an awesome location in the city but close enough to the highway to get where you need to go. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. Parking is a bit of a drag and the valet is never at his post! Make sure you have a spare key to retrieve your car when he is MIA.

My first stay here. Joined Modus at time of reservation. Got upgraded when checking in. Nice little suite. Good breakfast but I went right at opening and not all items yet prepared. I chose this hotel for the good price and thought I got value.

"Nice place"

Stayed here because off the close proximity to the Inner Harbor and M&T Bank Stadium. This place is a nice boutique type hotel. The room and the bathroom were small but decorated nicely. The breakfast was okay and offered the standard fare. I would have given a five star rating but the shower was an issue. It didn't drain so when I took a shower, I was standing in ankle-deep water. The maintenance woman came up and tried to plunge it and pulled out a few strains of hair but it didn't help at all because the next shower was the same exact situation. The one thing you need to know when you stay here is it costs $29 per day to park your car. Over all a nice place.

"Perfect for a short stay!"

This hotel well exceeded my expectations. Very convenient to several parking garages. There is a cheaper one across the street, but they do not offer valet or in and out privileges. The check in process was super easy. I received a text from the front desk to see how they could better accommodate me for my arrival. We were able to check in early which was amazing! The breakfast was great, several different options to choose from. The room was up to date and modern. Comfortable and clean. Beautiful view of the harbor from my 10th floor room. They also texted me to see how my stay was. Best customer service from a hotel that I have ever received. I will definitely go back when I return to Baltimore! My only complaint was the room was hot, but the windows did open some and that helped.

We booked the Brookshire for a last minute getaway and was pleased with the location and room being larger than we expected. We had room 301, which was a corner room; affording us more space. However, the shower curtain was overly worn and ripped where the rings attach to the rail. The backside of the bathroom door was ripped and the plywood showing in the lower corners. The carpet was shredding near the floor separator. And the door was not completely aligned with frame. The complimentary breakfast buffet was sufficient; though I would recommend ensuring the eggs are cooked a little more thoroughly and the sausages not over cooked. The are was well maintained and restocked frequently. Our stay itself was without incident and we were greeted warmly both at check-in and checkout.

Great Customer Service! Real close to the harbor and shops! comfy beds and a nice mini kitchen area. Highly recommend - close to the aquarium. about 10-15 mins away from fells point. Breakfast was good too.

This was our second stay within the last 4 month. The staff is very friendly and professional. Taylor helped me with making the reservation and was also at the desk when we checked out. She went above and beyond. Very accommodating and super friendly. I do work with different hotels and brands work related but Taylor exceeded the service expectations by far. Thank you for making sure that our 2 days in Baltimore were so pleasant.

I found the staff to be extremely helpful and inviting. The room was large and comfortable. It could be slightly more clean (e.g., desk and night stand could be polished more thoroughly). However, the price, convenience, and comfort made up for any minor shortcomings. The linens and bed itself were comfortable and clean!

Nice place and a great value for the location. Room was spacious and comfortable and clean, included breakfast was nice. In view of the Inner Harbor and a five-minute walk to the northwest corner of the harbor, the location is great.

Great location block away from harbor and four free bus routes to most vistor attractions. Walking distance to so many restaurants like Brio and Kona. Very nice breakfast overlooking the harbor beautiful view. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and caring. Not one of them but ALL of them. So glad we pick it

11/11/2017

Arrived to find loud buzzing noise in our room. Reception relocated us immediately, and had people in to fix before we even vacated the original room. Second room had a heating glitch, within 5 minutes someone was there to fix. Excellent service, great staff. Comfy bed, luxurious linens, only downside is that decor needs some updating, a bit if peeling wallpaper and elevators show wear and tear. That's why only four stars. Breakfast on top floor with harbor view was standard stuff made better by the location. Valet parking with in out priviledge was awesome.

"Nice room but poor service"

10/11/2017

The suites were nice although strangely designed (with a large bedroom and living room but very small bathrooms). However, the service was poor. The bathroom was not cleaned well. The heater in my room didn't work and when I called for help, the person who came was rude and did nothing other than change the temperature on the thermostat (which I had tried before and knew did nothing). The bathtub didn't drain well.

"Very well located decent place"

08/11/2017

Baltimore is not really the biggest tourist trap, but if you should spend a night the location of Brookshire Suites Inner Harbor can hardly be beaten. Also for business trips to Balto Downtown or the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus (by Metro) the location is fine. Very nice rooms, perfect beds (!), relatively quiet despite the location on two major roads. Most necessary amenities and a decent table to work at are there. Reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Downsides? Only two drawers but no cupboard for clothes (what did the interior designer think....), and no safe. The building is old, but mainly nicely refurbished - Central European clients will have to overlook some "bricolage" which one would not expect in such location, but nothing really disturbing. Breakfast is plenty and quite variable - again, who would serve decent food on disposable dished in Europe..... Internet is for free but watch out, there is a US$ 10 "destination tax" for each day....

"Clean, Friendly, Close"

06/11/2017

My sister and I spent 2 nights at the Brookshire Suites Inner Harbor in a 2 room suite before our cruise on the Chesapeake Bay. The hotel was within walking distance to everything at the Inner Harbor and the water taxi for those places a little further away. It was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. It was nice to have breakfast provided even though a couple items were barely warm. We could have also used a couple extra blankets for tv viewing in the sitting room in the evening. Coffee in room was appreciated but suggest a couple tea bags also be available. There was a little confusion with the staff regarding shuttle service around town. It is only available for rides to the hospital ($?) and airport ($35) but we were able to store our luggage for a couple hours after returning from our cruise although we only stayed at the hotel prior to our cruise. Thank you Brookshire.

"Home away from home"

06/11/2017

Great hotel. Taylor and Monty at the front desk were SO helpful. I chose this hotel because of its shuttle to Johns Hopkins hospital. An anticipated 3 day stay turned into 10 days of visiting a sick relative. The room was clean and modern. The breakfast and pleasant ride to the hospital helped start the day on a positive note which ended with a warm welcome home late at night from the front desk. And, being able to do my own laundry was a plus. Thank you all at Brookshire.

This was my first stay in Baltimore. This BW property shines for value, comfort, accessibility to restaurants, shopping, etc.. Most of all, the Brookshire Suites have one of the friendliest and helpful staffs I have encountered in my travels and I am a Diamond Select member. Kudos to all. Would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone visiting Baltimore.

"Exceeded expectations!"

01/11/2017

Even before arriving, I received a text in reference to our stay. This was just the first of many things I appreciated. We used the valet service which was very convenient. The attendant was very friendly and helped with our bags. Check-in was easy. Taylor and Eden were pleasant and gave us info on bus service we asked for. Our suite was large with a nice kitchenette area. The location is perfect and we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go (did not need the bus). The breakfast is very good with a lot of selections. Wonderful staff. I highly recommend!

Found this one via Trip Advisor. All the reviews are correct. The staff could not be any nicer. Location is perfect and the room exceeded our expectations. We greatly enjoyed the top floor breakfast buffet and thought all the items provided were great.

27/10/2017

No issues with the staff. They were very helpful and attentive although it was busy at check in and took a while. The elevator didn't work one evening. We had to take the service elevator. The knob fell off the bathtub and it didn't drain for hours after use.

"Decent location, hotel let down by rude check in staff"

3
26/10/2017

Hotel was well located for Inner Harbor and comfortable enough, with large bed being good for a good sleep. However, the hotel was let down by 2 things: 1. The mandatory $9.95 charge that was not informed to us beforehand to cover the 'free' Wi-Fi and 'free' breakfast as well as the 'free' water in the room (hint: These things are not free if there is no way to opt out of paying more for them). 2. The rude lady on check in who literally roled her eyes in front of us when we arrived to check in at 1130pm and asked her if we could check in. Her general attitude stank and her overview of the hotel facilities was basically read off a list also. If I wasn't so tired I'd have gone elsewhere. Hotel OK but I wouldn't stay again, particuarly because of the rude staff. For $200+ per night you can get much better value for money elsewhere.

24/10/2017

Decent place, nothing amazing. Good location. Ceilings are low for me, I'm 6'3" but they moved me to the top floor that has more headroom. Breakfast was on par with what you might find at a roadside motel. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. Certainly is dated, elevators need sprucing up.

"Wonderful staff - goes above and beyond"

18/10/2017

We combined a business (conference) trip with a family trip to DC/Baltimore. The conference was downtown Baltimore so we picked this hotel for location, and because we wanted a separate bedroom with a door to allow our two kids to have a "normal" bedtime routine and we could still move around. The hotel staff was fantastic in so many ways. Even before arriving, they helped to make sure we had a crib and pack n' play in the room. They even had the TV turned on to cartoons before we arrived. So, our overtired and cranky toddler was happy right away when we got in the room, and her tired parents got to unpack with a little bit of calm while she watched TV for a few minutes. It was a very thoughtful gesture on the part of the staff, and helped our stay get off to a great start. The hotel manager was also wonderful and helped us with multiple needs and special requests (including keeping several ice packs in the hotel freezer so that we could take them out with us on trips and keep my breastmilk cold during the day). Each person we met - from the valet staff to the front desk to the breakfast and housekeeping crews - seemed genuinely kind and took pride in the work they were doing. That meant a lot to us, and we really appreciated all their hard work to help us have a good stay. The hotel had a texting feature/option with the front desk staff, and we LOVED that! It meant that I could send a question to the desk and get a quick, helpful reply while still managing the kids and their needs in the room. One of our kids got sick, and the front desk staff helped locate the nearest pharmacy and had directions all ready for us (all worked out over texting!) so that my husband just had to stop by the desk and pick them up on his way out. So helpful! They even texted the next morning to ask how the baby was doing! So many positive things to say about this stay. I highly recommend it. It was perfect for us as a family, and it felt like we got to know the staff while we were there. If you like that personal touch and thoughtfulness when you travel (I know some people don't, but we do), this is the place!

Rooms are great, but a little dark! Proximity to Inner Harbor A+ and getting around elsewhere (Fells Point, Fed Hill), such an easy Uber ride. Breakfast on the top floor with a beautiful view of the harbor. Great stay overall, we'll be back! Oh and I love the testing from the hotel, what a great idea!

Our family of five enjoyed our brief stay. We were only in town for one night for a baseball game but could not have been more pleased with the location and room quality. Our room was large and was perfect for our family size. The hotel is within walking distance of Camden Yards and was perfectly situated for a stroll through the inner harbor shops and restaurants.

"The Staff Truly Cares About YOU"

16/10/2017

First we checked into a different hotel, to find grease stains on the chairs along with various offensive smells from the lobby to the hallway to the elevator to the room. Disgusting. Checked out and called Brookshire Suites and was saved from disaster by front desk agent Taylor. She was totally accommodating and welcoming. The sleek, contemporary lobby was trendy without trying too hard. Taylor reached out to make sure that we were happy with the room (totally, was a huge suite!). After we returned from dinner, Taylor served us a glass of wine in the lobby bar (turns out I won a free drink, and you can too----find out when you get there). She went above and beyond throughout our visit. Brookshire Suites scored when they hired Taylor! Had free breakfast on the top floor with beautiful views and spacious seating. Overall, a great time at Brookshire Suites.

Perfect location...Short walks to the harbor, dining at Water street, all sorts of selection of drink venues at the Power plant a couple blocks away, Baseball stadium and statue of babe ruth, clock tower, food market......so can go away where you want by walking... can not get any better....

02/10/2017

This hotel is an older property, however, it was clean & comfortable. The location could not have been better! Breakfast, which was buffet style was great & the coffee was excellent. We booked using booking.com & felt that it was an excellent rate for the location. Also was easy to find & when we had the hotel in view, it was obvious we should park in the park house just before it. The park house was clean & secure. We booked a room with 2 queen beds, but were given a suite at no extra charge...very nice kitchenette with coffee maker, microwave & fridge & sink.

"Great location and large suite!"

4
02/10/2017

The location of this hotel is perfect! Close to everything! Very close walking distance to the harbor and the convention center. We had a king suite which was very large and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchenette was an added bonus. Our room was very quiet. I didn't hear any noise from outside or other guests. My only complaint would be that the bathroom is very small and could use some updating. Oh, and it took us some time to find an ice machine, as they aren't on every floor. But other than that, we had a great stay. We were able to check in a couple hours early, valet was prompt and courteous, and the ladies at the desk were extremely helpful. One actually printed out my tickets for the Orioles game for me faster than I could've done it myself at home. Great customer service! Thank you!

"Robbed"

1
02/10/2017

After arriving at the hotel we decided to valet the car ($30 a night) The Valet forgot to lock our car, we were robbed and still paid full price for our stay. Room was tiny and hallway was noisy, the best part was the location.

"Nice stay but unexplained charges to credit card"

3
02/10/2017

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Brookshire hotel during a business trip to Baltimore. It is handily located near the Inner harbour (upper rooms at the front have a partial view) and convenient to the central business district. Rooms are comfortable and the hotel's mandatory 'desitnation fee' covered breakfast, tea/coffee and bottles of water (this has been a sore point for some customers so it's worth knowing in advance). Our room was clean although our toiletries were only replaced every other day and only shampoo (no shower gel) provided which seemed a bit stingy in comparison with other places of a similar price that we stayed elsewhere. Breakfast was very adequate although they did run out of coffee a couple of times. As a gluten free guest, there were enough non-bread options for me which was great. There is a hot buffet of eggs, sausages and potatoes; a cereal stand; coffee stand and waffle maker so most people should be happy. Breakfast is self-service and uses disposal plates and cutlery so it is convenient and easy to manage and we were very pleased. Staff who were servicing the breakfast suite were really lovely and had good chat. I really enjoyed my stay but unfortunately an issue which occurred after check out was frustrating and put a bit of dampner on the experience. On returning home I discovered an unexplained charge to my card. On check in, the hotel does take a credit card as insurance against incidentals but since my company had booked the stay and we had not had any extras (drinks at bar etc.), I wasn't expecting to be out any money. On contacting the hotel, the customer services agent was very quick to refund money but I still did not get back the full amount and my credit card company had to refund the difference out of goodwill because it was an erroneous charge. I never received an statement of account on check out in spite of asking repeatedly for one and I'm still unclear as to why they seemed reluctant to issue it. So while I would like to return to the hotel for another visit, I'm slightly wary now.

"Best Western Brookshire Inner Harbor"

26/09/2017

Hotel location was excellent. Lobby and fixtures where in excellent shape. Traffic noise on the 10th floor was minimal and bed was very soft. Internet speed was exceptional for a free service. Make sure you get to breakfast early, they ran out of the meat option (sausage) on our second day at 8:30 and breakfast actually ran until 9:30.

"Great Experience"

5
25/09/2017

Stayed there on a trip to the city and loved it. The staff was polite and inviting. The room was great and had a great view. Everything was clean and ready to go when I got there. Only a block from the Inner Harbor and within walking distance to anything you might want to do downtown. Cannot recommend it enough!

"Convenient and quiet."

3
25/09/2017

Taylor at the front desk was very helpful and responsive. Our suite was spacious and dated - frayed rugs, no cabinets in the kitchenette. We requested that the microwave be repaired/replaced our first morning. Not only was the broken one still there, our room wasn't serviced.(We left our room at 7:30 am so it's not that we were there so late cleaning had come and gone). It would have been nice to have a towel or paper towels in the kitchen. We had a room that faced an alley so it was quiet..

"Disappointing"

2
23/09/2017

We enjoy and often stay at BW properties. While the location and staff were great, the room was not. The layout is poor (the couch is in an alcove around the corner with no view of the TV) Very poor lighting (it was difficult to see clothing hanging in closet). Unsafe Tub/Shower – no grab bar, no bathmat, no hand towels. The glaring lighting above mirror in bathroom is positioned so low it made it difficult to see to shave or put on make-up. Coffee Cups were not replaced for us to have with the in-room coffee the second morning. We were shocked at the poor quality of the buffet breakfast food. The sausage patties were tough and inedible. the eggs had no flavor, weak coffee. Suggest corporate send staff to audit and bring this property up to BW standards.

"Needs some TLC"

4
23/09/2017

While overall the property is really good, some things like caulk around the tub, fittings around the shower head , lighting could be much improved. But the size of the suite, the comfort of the bed and the convenience to the Harbour and convention center more than makes up for it!

21/09/2017

The proximity to everything that Inner Harbor has to offer was great. The hotel was clean, the service was great & the front desk staff was always willing to help. They were very accommodating while assisting with an early check in for our rooms & then were nice to extend our rooms for a few hours. The vents in the bathroom could stand to be cleaned a little bit better but overall, it was a great stay & I'd recommend this to others.

21/09/2017

The room accommodations were great, the breakfast buffet had a lot of selections & the front desk staff was wonderful. They were very helpful & worked to make it a great experience. They were able to get us in our rooms early while also assisting with a late check out for our respective rooms. I would stay there again as it's only one block from the Inner Harbor area & a quick 10 minute walk to Camden Yards.

My husband and I stayed here recently when in town for a conference. The location was great. It was near the inner harbor and to my conference, close to bus stops and within walking distance to many tourist areas. The hotel itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. They advertised wine in the evening, but this must have been serve yourself as we never saw anyone getting any. I wish this would have been explained to us better. The check in staff was helpful and sent me a text before arrival to see if we needed any help. Taylor set up a transfer from the airport to the hotel which was helpful and took away stress for us at the airport. She also checked with us through out our stay to see if we needed anything. Breakfast was available and good.

I stayed at the Brookshire Suites for the weekend. We're from out of state and this location couldn't be any better. From the staff at the hotel to the valet parking and even the shuttle person, we were very pleased and impressed with the service. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is perfect, located just a block away from the Inner Harbor which you can see from the incredible view in the breakfast area. Valet parking has in-and-out privileges. They even arranged a free shuttle to a restaurant they highly recommended which we thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back to Brookshire Suites the next time we are in Baltimore. It has our very highest level of recommendation.

Staff were rude. Our reservations were incorrect (on their end), and they argued with us about it and were not helpful in correcting their mistake. My room was missing a shower curtain and towels. The wifi rarely worked. Street noise was incredibly loud. The cops who responded to a domestic abuse call that occurred at the hotel were much nicer than any of the hotel staff. I will not return to this hotel.

We travel to Baltimore twice a year for medical appointments. Brookshire allow us a mini- holiday the night before in a great location. Staff is friendly and efficient, rooms clean and well appointed. We can always count on a good night's sleep on the firm beds.

"Our Favorite Hotel in Baltimore "

12/09/2017

We escaped hurricane Irma at the very last moment and ended up here (with two cats) at the Brookshire only because all our other fave Inner Harbor hotels were sold out. We then proceeded to change our reservation almost daily as our evacuation situation evolved (no power, no flights home, etc.). Yet the front desk staff remained super accommodating and incredibly warm and friendly throughout our ordeal. And guess what? We fell in love with more than just the staff. The Brookshire's incredibly convenient location and our very reasonably priced and roomy one-bedroom suite were just great. Next time we come to Inner Harbor we will definitely stay here. What the Brookshire lacks in fancy soaps and trendy wall decor it more than makes up for with a friendly staff, comfy rooms and steps-from-everything convenience.

First the good: close to the harbor, adequate room with microwave and refrigerator, efficientl front desk staff, decent free continental breakfast. Now the bad:. No shower curtain, brick wall view out the window, stained rugs in hallways and lobby, badly stained floors in elevators. Sorely in need of a renovation, or at least fresh paint. And, please lose the creepy "artwork" of rocker from another era.

"Great Location, Dated Rooms, Great Staff"

3
07/09/2017

This hotel is one block from the Inner Harbor and that accounts for much. The staff at this hotel is stellar: the receptionists, valets, breakfast workers. The hotel itself needs a little work, from the marquee lights that are out to the bathroom fixtures. The rooms are a somewhat small and the A/c unit is loud. The bed is comfortable but there are only two drawers for clothing storage. Though normally quiet, at about 5:30 am, the rubbish removal trucks are quite loud. In addition to the room charge and taxes, it charges a $9.95 destination fee. Parking is extra, too.

"Great overall hotel, exceptional staff!"

The hotel was perfect for my husband and I on a last minute getaway. The staff goes above and beyond on politeness. A special thanks to Eden at the front desk. She delivered an unexpected but very much appreciated surprise to our room out of the goodness of her heart!

"3 days before and after cruise"

03/09/2017

The hotel is an old building and shows it's age, in my opinion it needs some remodeling, however the suites are great in size, especially when traveling with kids. Customer service was outstanding the first 2 days we stayed before our cruise, we were able to check in early and were asked through text messages if there was anything they could do to make our stay better, no complaints at all. Hotel is close to everything in the inner harbor. The last day of our stay which was 9 days later after our cruise we were informed when our room was ready that they were all out of cribs. I was traveling with my 2 year old who is in the routine in sleeping in her own crib or play pen and she was already due for her nap and in this moment this was the worse news ever. At first they were not accommodating and said it was first come first serve and there was nothing they could do. I was extremely upset cause I knew this would throw off my daughter's sleep and after 9 days of being in a small cruise ship room I was really looking forward to having my own space. Somehow after my husband to talk to them, the manger went out and bought a play pen and delivered to the room at 3:30pm. I was extremely happy and relieved. Although I was upset that I was told at first too bad there is nothing we can do, I'm glad they changed their minds and made up to me. Outstanding customer service, this is a place that cares.

Staying at the Brookshire for 3 nights. Very impressed with the attention to customer service. Prior to checking in, we'd received a text asking if we needed anything prior to us checking in. The welcome note was a very nice personal touch. The texts to check in on us with our needs is awesome for the first 24hrs. The room is very nice. Spacious & very clean. Love the location of the hotel, walking distance to many tourist areas. The breakfast is awesome! All the staff we've encountered have been phenomenal! Quick to respond to our needs & questions. I highly recommend this hotel!! The hotel is above & beyond our expectations!

"Did not like it!"

29/08/2017

Staff friendly and helpful, but we found the hotel a bit creepy. New decor similar to boutique hotels but upgrades very poorly done. Carpet in our room frayed all around the edges, chipped paint, tiny bathroom, low ceilings, elevator old and worn. Free bfast adequate but kept running out of things, didn't feel clean. I would not stay here again.

It was a very nice hotel, but I wasn't crazy about your destination fee of $9.95. It's really just a charge for breakfast. I've never heard of this charge before, and the title of the charge doesn't make any sense.

The hotel is extremely convenient to Inner Harbor. It was clean. The staff is very nice. It is an older hotel with low ceilings. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our family weekend.

28/08/2017

I found the hotel staff to be EXTREMELY friendly & courteous. After driving all day the young lady that checked me in was fast and helpful. The hotel itself could use a bit of "freshening up", but overall well worth the money and I would stay here again . Location is centrally located and great.

21/08/2017

staff was very nice--room ok, but not the best. needs a little updating, but for the price and proximity to the Inner Harbor it was fine for us, but we won't stay here again--we asked housekeeping to come back in 20 minutes, and they never came back at all, so after a long day out--our bed wasn't made and no clean towels

This hotel is in a good location, has friendly staff, and is clean. However, I notified the staff on two occasions that the air conditioning was not working. The first time I went to the front desk and someone was sent to our room. He realized quickly that it was not working and stated we would need to be moved. However, he kept hitting buttons and saw that it was blowing air despite it not being cold and said he fixed it. The next day I was asked how the stay was and notified staff once again the room never cooled down. I was assured again that someone would take a look and never heard from staff again. Needless to say, the air was never fixed nor was I offered another room or any kind of discount on our stay. We also had a hair dryer that did not work to the point it set off the fire alarm when I turned it on and tried to use it. However, it was replaced. For the price paid, I imagine other hotels in Baltimore would offer an overall better stay.

From the moment we arrived everything was just as we had hoped. Parking was a breeze. Our room wasn't ready but they took our luggage cart and tagged it so that we could get started on our mini vaca. Check in was short and sweet and the room AND VIEW were unbelievable. As a travel agent, I loved the texting system utilized by management to keep in contact with their guests. Breakfast was great each morning and the staff was simply lovely.

We stayed here for an over night trip to Baltimore. The staff was friendly and very welcoming upon arrival. We were able to have our car parked even though we arrived 4 hours before check in. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast in the morning was great. Was within walking distance of the Aquarium, Port Discovery Children's Museum and several great restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel.

You can see the Inner Harbor from the dining room for breakfast that was included. The staff was very helpful to resolve the issue reported. More instruction on where to park the car could be helpful.

Located in the Inner Harbor area, Brookshire Suites is close to many attractions in downtown Baltimore. We were in Baltimore to tour Johns Hopkins university, which is a 15 minute car ride from the property. Hotel has valet parking for $28 per night but if you plan on leaving early, as in 6 am or earlier, you can park in garage across the street for $10. The people around the hotel area can be on the homeless side and noticed some come into lobby to drink their water. The front desk agent (Eden?) was super nice and helpful. The property itself is borderline in need of a makeover. Kind of place if you look quickly all is okay but if you pay attention you see things like dirt/dust in rooms, holes in tiles, trim that is cracked and ripped up.... but the one bedroom suite we stayed in was decent size with two rooms, leather couch, flat screen tv, comfortable beds. Really nice touches are notes the staff leave for you upon arrival. There is a small work out gym on the top floor as well as a dining area where they serve their buffet breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, toast/bagels/English muffins, cereal, make your own waffles, coffee and tea and a soda type machine with juices). Food was average but definitely nice to have it included in rate. You can also order room service for lunch or dinner - hotel works with a nearby restaurant that will deliver to your room. If you get a chance I recommend going to a place called Between 2 buns which is a small open restaurant in the Mount Vernon Marketplace located about one mile from the property. There are actually several restaurants there, and they were all packed. Fun place, lots of young people, beer and wine, and the food is amazing. Kind of like stall set up with tables all around but more trendy and chic. Ordered the Peruvian Chicken on a brioche bun for $10 and it was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had... no lie!

It is an older hotel with attempts at making it feel more modern. The breakfast is AWESOME with good coffee, hot and cold items and a spectacular view. Appreciated being able to do a late checkout at 1pm. We were on the 4th floor and our view was a dirty window and brick building. There was a leak in the shower we let staff know about when checking out. The bathroom is small. Had to call to request bedding for sofa bed as soon as we got in. When we called again at 9pm to let them know the bedding hadn't come they brought it right away. Sofa bed is not comfortable. Room is average but all the little things such as the bottled water, wifii, amazing breakfast, proximity to inner harbor outweighed that small negative. I wish parking was a better price for hotel guests. 29.00 for 24 hours with valet. A few dollars cheaper if we parked at an adjacent garage. Staff is friendly.

"Nice Stay at Baltimore"

4 stars for location, you really can't beat it at this price for others in the immediate area. No frills but clean and updated lobby. Nice mattresses but bathrooms could use updating. Overall, it's a good spot and I'd stay here again.

The hotel is in a good location, but it's hugely overpriced! Rooms are old, taps leaked, there was no hot water and counter staff was not accomodating. The noice from the street traffic and neighbouring construction is terrible.

My wife and i had dinner reservations for that night. We showed up early for check-in and Monte really took care of us. Monte works at the front desk. 28/07/2017

I had three days in Baltimore attending a conference. I deliberately avoided the conference hotel and chose what turned out to be one of the best value for money hotels I've stayed in to date. The welcome (Eden) was delightful, the room was spacious, clean, quiet, and very well situated. In truth I was very surprised at the standard given all that I paid. It was also superbly located, one short block removed from the waterfront. Without question the strongest asset are the people and service provided. These guys are attentive, dutiful and carry off their mission effortlessly. Trust me, I've stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and many do t come close. The welcome note in the room and the one on one interactions are a great credit to the management. I have read some of the more negative reviews on the property and ho early they were SO far removed from my experience. Would I come back? Absolutely! Would I recommend this property? Absolutely! Give it a go. I believe you'll be pleasantly surprised at the price point. Well done guys! Good for you.

Dear Martin Thank you for your positive feedback about your recent stay! We so appreciate you sharing how much you enjoyed the rooms and the location of our hotel. 27/07/2017

Overall we were satisfied with the price, location and the quality of the hotel. Our suite was huge and nicely furnished in a modern style. At check-out there was an attempt (possibly in error) to overcharge for our stay. When I complained and showed the clerk my reservation form, she reduced the charge to the original agreed amount.

"A Very Pleasant Surprise"

27/07/2017

Aside from the proximity to everything at the Harbor, the Staff, the pricing, the amenities, but mostly the STAFF, make this Hotel , one of the "pleasant surprises" at Inner Harbor, Baltimore. I was very pleased with the way the Staff, went all out to make our stay extremely pleasant, during our Conference there, so much so, I booked a reservation there for the following weekend. I look forward to spending many weekends in the city, and definitely at Brookshire Suites

"Walked into our assigned room... which was already inhabited by another guest!"

2
24/07/2017

Upon check-in, my reservation (which was made directly through the hotel's own website) could not be located. I showed the front desk staff my confirmation email from their website along with a confirmation number, yet the reservation was nowhere to be found. I waited for 20-30 minutes while staff searched for the reservation. Finally, they found the reservation under the name of my second guest, for some reason regarding their "system being weird today." We were then assigned to a room. We entered said room with our assigned hotel key card to find lights on and opened luggage! The room was already inhabited by other hotel guests! It was terrifying, to say the least... to think that we had just walked straight into another guest's room! Needless to say, our stay was quite uncomfortable, as we had no confidence that other guests wouldn't just walk into our room in a similar manner. The front desk staff offered us two measly complimentary drinks from the awkward bar in the hotel lobby because of this mishap. They didn't even extend an apology or act surprised about what had happened! Two little drinks for you causing me to intrude someone else's privacy and for you to make me feel unsafe, all in your own hotel?! I think this scenario calls for a little more than that.. and I'd think you'd want your hotel to be seen in a different light. I will not be staying here again after the experience we had endured. We couldn't wait to get out of that place the next morning.

"Great location"

4
23/07/2017

I'm going to start this review with the fact that Baltimore, as a city, is not very ada compliant. Not many sliding doors or non push doors so if you need that to be mobile, it's quite difficult. Moving on to the hotel... regarding the parking situation, there was only one valet guy during check in and it was a little confusing as to where I should leave my car to have it valeted. I had several bags and my infant so unloading at the curb would have been difficult. Or had I been instructed to do so, it would have been less confusing. The room is as pictured, very spacious in the one bedroom suite. No complaints about the room. Check in and check out was very smooth. Location is great, within walking distance, like 1 block from the inner harbor. There needs to be more than one valet person during high traffic times ie check in and check out. Front desk staff was very hospitalble and the valet person during check out was very quick and helpful as well.

"Would not stay here ever again"

2
20/07/2017

Stayed here for three days. Breakfast was the best part.Air conditioner never got really cold, water didn't work for a few hours, cable was horrible, my lamp didn't work and have no way to turn on, not enough towels, internet slow, no sheets on the pull out sofa etc. I wouldn't stay here ever again. I should've went by the reviews and stayed elsewhere.

19/07/2017

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend to watch the WS Champion Cubs. When we pulled up we were greeted and felt welcome right away with the valet guys Joey & I believe Albert. They went above and beyond for us unloaded our vehicle and took all our luggage to the room without even asking. Every question about the city I would recommend every guest to ask Joey, he's so knowledgeable about the city it's impressive. The front desk seemed over whelmed and flustered with our reservation at check in but all in all a good attitude and they got the job done. My room was great we had a corner suite which had a view of the harbor spacious but low ceilings! I did have to call down a couple of times for soap and a few other minor things they didn't have ready in my room! All in all we had a great stay we won 3 games and we meet some really cool people. I would definitely recommend this hotel great location, great service, and definitely a good price point! Thank you for your hospitality! Go Cubs

Highly recommend this boutique-like hotel. Great location and value for your money. Free shuttle to Johns Hopkins (if you schedule it 24 hours in advance). No need to pay extra to stay on the water front. There are a few rooms with a view of the harbor, it is just a block away. This is not the Ritz, its just a really good value for your money. Friendly helpful staff. Disorganized, understaffed, reservation lost. Fees added. Location is in the heart of downtown Baltimore, but felt that it was a little expensive for the type of hotel it is. $280 for one night when the room is average and the common areas a little subpar.

We came here for 2 days to just sight see and found this great hotel. (I was born and semi raised here, so I know the area pretty well) Our guest service employees were amazing! I especially enjoyed (and if I get names wrong, I am so very sorry) Eden and Harrison?? Hope this is correct. ....they were very helping, accommodating with all we needed!! Great job guys...you 2 make this place!! Also, the nice women who took care of the breakfast club;) Amazing job folks!! Thanks, if we come back to Baltimore, we will definitely be back to stay here!!! Thank you for your hospitality :)

"Convenient location, friendly staff"

04/07/2017

My fiancé stayed here last night as a halfway point on a trip from Connecticut to Virginia. I booked online about an hour before we got to Baltimore. Being a holiday weekend, they were a little behind on their bookings so we did have to wait to check in. However, the staff was very accommodating- for our inconvenience, they offered a complimentary drink at The Red Bar and the valet gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Plus they checked our bags so we would not half to lug them around or bring them back to the vehicle. Our vehicle was too tall to fit inside their valet garage, so they made arrangements that would work for it. The room was very spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was on point. The warm brunch bar was technically closed by the time we made it, but the staff member in charge was friendly and allowed us to partake anyways. Overall was a great value- would definitely stay here again!

"Great value for the location"

30/06/2017

The hotel was great! Nothing crazy fancy but clean and reasonably modern - rooms were a little small. Free wifi, bar fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Continental breakfast was good with lots of hot and cold foods. The bar wasn't much but the location is amazing just one black from the harbour.

"Run down and fraying"

2
28/06/2017

This hotel is very expensive, and run down looking. The carpeting is outdated and fraying. The cabinetry in the rooms and bathroom are dented and worn. The air conditioning was too cold in my room, and too hot in the room next door. The breakfast was poor, and the overall feel of the hotel is run down and old. The staff was excellent, engaged, and caring. They were young.

"Great hotel"

5
27/06/2017

The hotel was clean ,nice staff members and good breakfast. The hotel was a block from harbour activities. Great experience.the hotel was only a block away from harbour. It was a short walk to aqurium and restaurants and stores. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got there before check in , they let me leave my car and luggage so we can enjoy the day on the harbour. After check out the friendly staff let us leave our car and luggage so we could go to aquarium and enjoy our day. The breakfast area was clean and the food was good, they had eggs and waffles along with fruit and cold cereal and juice and coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

"Nice place, great location but beware of undisclosed hidden fees"

3
25/06/2017

You are hit with a hidden $10 fee at the front desk. Not disclosed anywhere on there website nor when making a reservation by phone. The room is said to include breakfast - yet they justify the fee for breakfast and water and use of the fitness room.

"Brookshire Suites good and bad"

3
24/06/2017

We spent 4 days at Brookshire Suites during the third week of June. We arrived early from our flight and they did not have a king suite ready however they gladly stored our bags while we explored the area for a couple hours. The desk clerk was very friendly as were most of them although one lady there early in the morning was not very friendly. The king suite was in a corner of the hotel and consisted of a sitting room with a separate bedroom, both good sized, and separated by a door. There was a refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave on a wet bar. The bathroom was tiny however although the vanity was quite large. The shower could have used an upgrade on the shower head although water pressure was certainly not a problem. The housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room daily but they neglected to leave enough items for two people. We only got one hand towel, there was only one coffee cup and they did not restock the regular coffee. They never left a spare roll of toilet paper for us for our 4 day stay. The room had a nice sized desk and a white leather or faux leather couch. The bed was very comfortable although the pillows were poor which we find to be the case in 95% of the hotels we visit. Some of the appointments are starting to get old and maybe could use refreshing. The hotel is located close to many attractions and great restaurants in the inner harbor It is also near the water taxi. Our stay was not bad but the issues mentioned would lead us to stay elsewhere our next time we visit.

We decided spur of the moment to visit the Inner Harbor in Baltimore last night. My mom is big fandom Best Western Plus properties so we searched and came upon the Berkshire Suites. The rate was almost too good to be true $119 for a 2-Queen Beds Studio. While it was not directly on the waterfront. It was only two blocks to walk to the harbor, restaurants, and attractions. When we got to the room, we were pleasantly surprised to find truly a suite. We had a room with two queen beds, and more than enough space for the four of us. In addition there was a wet bar and living room area separate from the bed room. Both the bedroom snd living room had 48 inch digital TV's. We really couldn't believe we had come upon such a great deal. But wait...... it gets better. On the Cloud Level is a beautiful area with floor to ceiling windows all around and gorgeous views of the Harbor, in the morning this area served as the space for our complimentary hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, juice, fruit and boiled eggs, and yogurt. The staff was very friendly and did an awesome job making us feel welcome. I met Timothy as he was cleaning up after breakfast and he was just a delight to talk to. This was really a great place to stay. Only two things, the parking is valet only, and we had a little bottle neck this morning with multiple people checking out at the same time. This is an older property and there are little things that give away its age, but nothing terrible. Highly recommend this place

"Not As Good Second Time Around"

22/06/2017

This was the second time we had stayed at Brookshire Suites. The first time there were no issues. This time, not so much. We had arrived hours before check in and went to use the lobby bathroom. It was dirty and I was disappointed. When we did check in, we were told that the room we booked online wasn't ready and she gave us another one that was "clean." However, the front desk woman did not realize we had a child with us and gave us a room with a queen bed. Upon arrival in our room, the bathroom had a weird odor that just didn't seem to go away. Speaking of bathroom, it's quite small. The TV remotes were useless. We returned back from the O's game late and realized there were no sheets for the pull-out couch that my husband now needed to sleep on. We called the front desk and they were quick to bring them up. Prior to going to bed, I wanted to get my things together for the morning, especially the bathroom, since we were getting up early the next day. There was only one washcloth so my husband said to use a hand towel (he doesn't get it!!), but when he picked it up, there was a hair ball on it. Gross. In the morning I started the shower and the shower head nearly came off the wall. I took a quick shower for fear that it was going to literally come off the wall. If you want a hotel close to Inner Harbor and other downtown attractions, this is an okay hotel. However, I just had an uneasy feeling for our visit. I'm relieved we were only staying one night and weren't in the room all that much.

"Positive at first but a disappointing end to our stay; poor communication by staff"

22/06/2017

We booked Brookshire Suites as it was highly rated/reviewed and was so perfectly located close to the Inner Harbor. Arrival and check-in were smooth. As there is no stopping on Lombard Street, to gain access to the valet and to unload a vehicle of luggage, pulling into the small garage opening on South Calvert Street is the only way to accomplish this. Valet parking with the hotel is $29 per day and the gentleman who took care of our car was courteous and quick with the retrieval of it. There is a $9.95 per day resort fee which covered several things - the most important we found, especially since the weather was very hot and humid during our stay - was the two bottles of water provided everyday. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was small, the beds clean and comfortable, and the sitting area a nice addition. The hotel was quiet and the breakfast each morning on the 12th floor Breakfast Cloud Club was very filling: eggs, breakfast meats, assorted breads and cereals, yogurts, fruits, make-your-own-waffles, juices, teas and coffee. Again, the location couldn't be beat - a block north of the Inner Harbor! My issues were with the professionalism of some of the front desk staff. For example, I needed some ticket vouchers printed. The hotel provided a computer but did not indicate whether or not the 'business center' computer had printer access. The front desk staff member suggested I email the attachments to them, for printing. So, the night before we needed them, I did as I was instructed with the expectation/promise my tickets would be waiting for me when I went downstairs the next morning. They were not. I sent the emails again while standing at the front desk, while minutes of our morning ticked by and my family patiently waited - as well as our Uber. Second, after checking out and reaching the second leg of our vacation, I realized I'd left behind my makeup bag. I immediately called the hotel and the lady who answered told me to call back when a manager was there, which she said would be the next day. So, the next morning, I called again. I was told I would receive a return call within 20-30 minutes with an answer as to whether or not my personal item was returned to lost and found. No call came. Later that afternoon, I called back a third time. I explained the reason for my call, was put on hold while they checked, and was bluntly told my makeup bag had not been returned. I'd also sent emails to three front desk members; all of which also went unanswered. I gave specific instructions as to where in the small bathroom it had been left. I was hoping someone would have checked. However, with no response to my emails, I'll never know what happened or even if a second check was made. So, while the whereabouts of my makeup bag still remain a mystery and while it was my negligence in leaving it behind, I expected better communication, intiative and follow-through. The incident put a disappointing close to our trip to Baltimore. Not to mention I now have to repurchase everything which was lost. It was very disappointing.

"Small, Quality hotel"

21/06/2017

We needed a hotel for several night to receive medical care at nearby Johns Hopkins. The hotel rate was the best in the area by far for this purpose. We would have liked to have time to sight see as well. Very clean, quality accomodations in a very busy part of the city. We would recommend the hotel and use it again.

This trip was absolutely wonderful. Brookshire suites and its employees are perfect, and the location was easy enough to go anywhere. Anything that we needed they were able to provide for us. I will be back again and again.

The biggest problem with this property is the incredible street noise. A good night's sleep is difficult. Furnishings left something to be desired, as well as lighting. The bathroom sink was so far back from the edge of the counter that it was difficult to brush my teeth. The bathtub was dangerously slippery and the towels were across the room from the tub/shower. The living room couch was leather and very slippery to sit on and was way to low to view the TV. You are actually looking at the bottom of the table it sits on. There was no dresser with drawers for clothes and the closet area had no light. So, I was looking for the clothes in my suitcase using a flashlight. It is about 1 block from the Inner Harbor, which is about the only plus. Although our room was clean, the rest of the property wasn't that clean (coffee spilled down the wall by the elevator, etc.)

"This was a nice stay"

11/06/2017

We stryed overnite after a very late flight into BWI. The room was as described and they had a nice setting for the complimentry breakfast overlooking the Harbor. There was an awsome staff attendent in the breakfast area Shirley Strouble who was very sweet, helpful and even gave the children a little treat at the end. Upon check out we walked the harbor a bit to see the sites and we will return again for a longer stay. Looking forward to it!!!

"Artsy with great location!!"

09/06/2017

This hotel is one block from the Inner Harbor where all the action is!! It is a cool place with musical art and eclectic decor. The rooms are absolutely huge! We were extremely happy with our stay. Only downside is no free parking. $29 for valet there but still giving it 5 stars all day

"Good location poor quality and calue"

Good location, rooms are claustrophobic , cleanliness should be better, only one working elevator, valet is not very accessible , hotel is within walking distance of inner harbor , this is not a destination hotel

I can always count on a Great experience at the Brookshire!! My fav hotel PERIOD!!! I recommend this hotel to all of my friends near and far! The people are always nice, concerned, caring and willing to help in any way possible. Harry is my absolute favorite. He always make sure I have everything that I need!

"Outrageous overcharge"

1
08/06/2017

I've stayed at the Brookshire several times and have enjoyed the experience until this time. When I looked at my bank statement I was overcharged by at least $100 and the $50 "deposit for incidentals" has not been credited! I've called the manager three times today and each time was told "I'm with a customer right now I'll call you back" which he didn't and on my third call he put me on hold for 10 minutes before I finally hung up. I was planning a return visit to the hotel in July and again in October. I will never stay at this hotel and again and I want my money refunded!!!

"Very outdated hotel.....great staff"

06/06/2017

Booked thru Booking.com, bad mistake. Never again. Avoid Booking.com as reservation was not there on arrival despite booking back in Feb. and getting confirmations from Booking.com. Hotel is very dated. Old and tired. Room was large with adjoining living room, but bathroom tiny. Made no sense. The whole place needs to be renovated to come up to the times. Would not recommend and would not stay again, despite great location to inner harbor.

"Perfect location, good services"

04/06/2017

Staying there for two nights. Personal was friendly, room was clean and the floor was quiete. Breakfast every morning was good - waffles, eggs, toasts, fruit jams, hot tea, coffee, different juices, fruits. Hotel have perfect location to Harbor and it is in the centre of Baltimore city. (visited 10-12th November, 2016)

" Great location!"

25/05/2017

We enjoyed our three days at the Brookshire Suites. Breakfast had many choices: waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee, juice and fruit. The breakfast room was very nice on the top floor. You are a block and a half away from the inner harbor. Visitors center is an easy walk as well as many good restaurants. We took the free bus to Fort McHenry. Enjoyed the trolley tour of the city from the visitors center. (Charge) The two room suite was very roomy and we both slept very well! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We would stay there again.

23/05/2017

I was very disappointed in the hotel. They over charged me without explanation. When I questioned it they responded they would refund the money and e-mail a new receipt. I never received the revised receipt and in the process to dispute the extra $50 charge to my credit card. Food from the prior guess was still in the mini frige no shower curtain took three request before they supplied one after 2 hours.

21/05/2017

We are visiting Baltimore for a family reunion and graduation. Staying at the Brookshire Suites downtown at the Inner Harbor and it is great! Older hotel, great location, nicely refurbished with contemporary decor. Staff is super! Cordial, helpful and kind - seem to be looking for ways to make our stay more enjoyable. Coffee, beer and wine in the lobby - seating area with big windows to the street, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and a computer in lobby. Breakfast is good - eggs, sausage, make-your-own-waffles. Valet parking makes it easy. Would stay here again!

"Great location -- hotel lacked necessities!"

2
21/05/2017

The Brookshire Suites has the capability of being a top notch hotel. Its location cannot be beat - just one block from the Inner Harbor and near free public transportation. Unfortunately, the basic necessities -- toilet paper, towels, etc. were non-existent. When we called the desk about getting additional towels, we were told that the hotel was full and they were "looking for more towels." The same happened with toilet paper. This is unacceptable. We do not understand how a hotel that purports to be part of the Best Western Premier Collection can have such sub-standard services. While the hotel asks that you reuse towels to save water and energy, they do not provide a towel rack in the bathroom for that purpose. Where are you supposed to put a wet towel so that it might dry and be reused? Additionally, there was a $9.95/night "destination fee" tacked on to the bill when we checked out. This was not mentioned when we called and made reservations.

"Terrific Location and Amenities"

20/05/2017

Fantastic location in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, great hot breakfast buffet, very comfortable bed, and the valet parking you absolutely need in this city. Best of all, I was even allowed to leave my car in the valet parking after I checked out of the hotel, which gave me an extra day of sightseeing without having to deal with my car in the city!

"Great staff and customer service"

5
16/05/2017

A friend of mine stayed at this hotel while in town for a wedding and I visited with her on her stay at the hotel. I must that this establishment's customer service is beyond superb! Some unforeseen events cause me to not be able to accommodate my friend (being a tour guide) The manager I think his name is Harry went so far out of his way to ensure my friend was still able to navigate throughout our city safely and efficiently. When I would called the hotel to check on my friend each time she assured me that Mr. Harry and his staff took great care of her. I'm a very critical person and stickler for customer service and I must say I will send busy in the Brookshire direction. Well done Brookshire!

"Friendly Staff, Great Location and Wonderful Accommodations!"

16/05/2017

I think the title of my review says it ALL. I travel often and I can be difficult to please when it comes to lodging but the Manager Harry and his staff left no opportunity for me to be dissatisfied. A smile upon entering the hotel always brightens my day, smooth check in made it simple and painless. My room was great and much like the photos I viewed online. If you are in the area Brookshire Suites should be your first and only choice, you won't regret it. Thanks so much to the staff for making your hotel stand out. Keep up the good work.

"Everything was awesome.... "

I definitely would recommend this hotel. Harry was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay great. If I was able to give 10 stars I would do just that. Keep up the great work.... Thumbs Up!!!!!

"The Brookshire is Amazing!!!"

16/05/2017

I've never traveled this far east before, and I was a bit anxious about my stay. I was traveling from Washington, DC to meet up with some friends before I left headed back to Texas. They say we're friendly in Texas, but this hotel and staff exceeded my expectations and were just as nice and kind to me. I was greeted by Mr. Harry, and he was an absolute a joy and a wealth of knowledge. I later learned he was the manager and I was floored to have received such personal care and service from leadership; he was most gracious. I will definitely recommend the city of Baltimore and The Brookshire to my family and friends. I didn't want to leave.....but until next time!!!

I stayed at this hotel for my conference in Baltimore conventional center. The room is spacy and clean, it offer a dinning room, a small bar with microwave and refrige. The bathroom is also well-maintained. Better yet, it also provide the hot breakfast, the food is good enough, however, you need to pay, it's not free. The location of this hotel is very good, there are CVS, shopping mall , and lots of restaurants nearby. It only takes a 5-minute walk to the convention center.

"Staff goes above and beyond!"

10/05/2017

My husband and I took our 6 and 8 year old daughters for an overnight trip to Baltimore's Inner Harbor. We chose the hotel for the price and the proximity to the National Aquarium. We stayed in a King Suite. The room was large, clean and had great natural lighting. Eden, who was working the front desk was super helpful and nice about being helpful which is rare. We checked out on Tuesday April 18th and that night we realized that the pink blanket our youngest daughter has slept with since birth did not make it home. Knowing it could have only been left in the room I called the hotel. Eden let me know that housekeeping would likely be able to help me the following morning. Well, I called every morning and every evening for the next 3 days and each time the staff was friendly, sympathetic and patient, especially Nijah. On Saturday I offered a cash reward to the staff member who found the blanket. On Sunday I received word from Nijah that the blanket had been found. Not only did they refuse to accept the reward, they cleaned the blanket, sent it to me via fed ex and Nijah emailed my daughter a story called "The Case of the Missing Blanket". We were truly stunned by the kindness and sincerity of Nijah, Eden and the rest of the staff at the Brookshire Suites. Thank you all so much!

"Average for the cost"

05/05/2017

Stayed 3 nights, I would say average hotel stay for the money. The beds are super soft and great room darkening shades. Woke up in the morning and was surprised when I opened the shades to a bright sun. Rooms are quite, other than outside street noise. Very helpful staff. Place is clean and safe. They add $9.00 for each day for the breakfast buffet (muffins, oatmeal, eggs, juice, coffee, fruit, cold cereal). One black back from the inner harbor. Breakfast floor has a view of the harbor.

Stayed 4 nights here very convenient to inner harbour area which is a safe area. Close to free bus service and short walk to light rail. Only concern was the discomfort of the bed we had to move rooms after two nights of complaints. Majority of staff we friendly and helpful however one reception staff appeared apathetic. Breakfast was adequate.

Hotel was in the place we wanted it to be. Room clean, but no dresser and staff not very friendly. Wouldn't stay there again. Charge you for everything. Valet parking was high Ceiling in the rooms are very low. Bed sang in the middle our backs were beginning to hurt by the last day.

Not as pictured. Photos of this property are not accurate. The staff are very helpful. Super low ceilings for 10th floor. Noise carries from outside and hallways. Overall a worn property. Breakfast was decent and had variety each day.

"Great value with a microhotel vibe"

4
26/04/2017

Overall rating is High, clean hotel and rooms with friendly staff. Rooms can be a bit small but typically a great value when only 1 block away from inner harbor. Be cautious if someone staying in the room is considered short (guessing under 5'5") as the bathroom sinks are higher than normal and moved to the back of the counter top making it a little more difficult (could be managed) for those of shorter stature.

"Worst Hotel Experience Ever"

1
25/04/2017

This hotel offered the worst experience my girlfriend and I ever experienced. We were vacationing in South Carolina and were driving home to the northeast and wanted to spend a few days in Baltimore. After looking at the reviews for the Brookshire we booked directly through their website. On the night of our check-in we called and told them that we would be late because we were in D.C. The desk attendant told us that we did not have a reservation with them. We told them that we had a confirmation number, but they did not want to see it yet. Four hours passed, back and forth phone calls, with them taking down our number wrong, before they finally asked us to email them a copy of the confirmation. Once they received it they said we would have a room and our stay would be complimentary. When we arrived the man behind the desk said that there was no record of us having a complimentary stay and we would have to speak with the manager in the morning, but did offer us free valet. The next day we asked to speak with the manager, who did not look like a manager when we first met him, wearing white jeans and sandals. He informed us that he would not be comping our stay because he found us a room and only would have comped the stay had they have to move us to another hotel because they overbooked and that's just what they do. He also told us we could not receive the free valet because the valet company is contracted out. He did tell us he would discount our stay. When asked to speak with the general manager he said he was the manager. When asked who I could contact at Best Western, their parent company, he directed me to the general service customer service line, which he said he would provide before we left. He never did. On the day of our checkout we found out that the manager had only discounted one night of our stay and not the two nights like he said he would. Once again, this establishment would say one thing and do another. After failing to get in contact with him, the desk attendant discounted both nights for us, and we were charged for valet, with the manager apparently never talking to the valet manager. All in all, this has been one of the worst stays we have ever encountered. To say we are disappointed would be an understatement. The whole experience was a nightmare and while we most definitely will never be staying at, or recommend, the Brookshire Suites, we will have to think twice about staying at any Best Western hotel or affiliate again. I would recommend staying at another hotel in the area. The management and staff are an embarrassment to the industry and should be ashamed.

The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are exactly what we needed and the staff was top class. We have used the Brookshire as our home away from home while on work trips. The staff including: Harry, Monty, Eden, Brittany and Tashara made us feel at home right away. They all went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that my family and I were comfortable. Give it a try, you wont regret it.

We stayed in the Brookshire Suites to celebrate Spring Break. What a FANTASTIC choice. The staff is above all, incredible. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and even allowed us to check in early so we could drop off our stuff and go exploring. The hotel room was very nice, and worked perfectly for my family. My daughter slept on the fold-out couch bed where she watched her own TV; she was in her glory! My husband and I laid comfortably in our separate area of the hotel room with our TV as well. My 3-year-old son was thrilled to be able to go between both spaces. The hotel is conveniently located near several restaurants, Starbucks coffee, and three blocks from the Aquarium. The staff welcomed us back with a friendly greet and offered to provide us with anything that we may need. The following morning, we received a convenient late check out and with our package- 2 tickets to the Aquarium. We knew we wouldn't be back in time to move our car for check-out, but the manager Harry offered to let us keep our luggage in a safe place and our car in the garage while we went off on our journey. I cannot express how amazing Harry and his staff were. We had a wonderful stay at the Brookshire Suites and cannot wait to return!

You get what you pay for. Hotel was reasonably priced and great location but rooms especially bathroom could use update. The ceilings were low in spots due to the design, my son 6'4 had to watch not to hit his head going into bathroom. Had to call several times for towels. The breakfast was ok and included; served on top floor with views of harbor.

Hotel is near the inner harbor, very conveniently located for restaurants, shopping and the Aquarium. The staff was very personable and helpful. I can not say enough about the staff, the maintenance guy was very helpful with our a/c issue fast and efficient. Front desk staff and Valet gave excellent service at check out they even gave my little one a gift. The room was a good size, 2 beds with a pull out. My only two complaints are the ceilings are a bit low so if you are 6ft or taller watch your head in doorways in the rooms and there is a creepy picture in the bathroom in our room.

"Good but take away the suites from your name"

Our room 1005 was small and nothing to do with suites. The mattress was awfully soft, if seated on the border of the mattress easily fall off. The bathroom, Internet and cleanliness were OK. Breakfast was a do it yourself on black plastic dishes. Cereal, scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels all good.

16/04/2017

The hotel itself was a great location. Overall appearance and value was very good. Just be cautious if you have back problems as I do, I found the bed to be way too soft and not provide near enough support. I don't know if thats all the room, our just ours.

I thought I would have a solid reservation by calling the hotel. Got there early and was told we can have our things kept while we went into town since car would be valet parked. Came back about 5 hours later and there was no room ready for us. They changed us to a different room with a discount as well. I appreciated that. So the room was not what I signed up for but it was okay. For one night. It looked like a poorly done flip of a hotel room. Lots of modern things that were still kind of dated. Also the things were damaged like a torn sofa, warped interior cabinet, etc. Small bathroom. Nice and comfy bed. Good breakfast, I'd say a little more than a continental due to scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, and waffle making amenities. Great staff. We had a few issues getting our room but the staff gave us a discount as well as offered things to be accommodating like later check out. Throughout it all each staff member was pleasant. Eden, who we worked with most, was wonderful. But again, other front desk staff did what they could to help us be comfortable.

If you are in Baltimore for a meeting at the Convention Center, the Brookshire is very well located and reasonably priced. So, not a bad place to stay. But, it's just so-so in terms of accomodations. In terms of the comfort of the rooms, it's a mixed bag: The room that we were assigned when we checked in was on an upper floor, and light and airy. However, although designated a "Queen Room," it had a full-sized bed. We complained and they moved us to what must be the worst room in the hotel -- on the "1st Floor" (one up from the ground floor), in a dingy corner with no natural light, and very poor electric lighting. When we pulled back the curtains, there was a huge mud stain streaked across a large portion of the windows. But, it did have a queen size bed. Other amenities of the room were just ok. I don't get these hotels, like the Brookshire, that place cards in your room encouraging you to be environmentally responsible but then fail to include towel racks in the bathroom so you can hang your towels to dry out. Toiletries were ok, but a way-underpowered hair dryer. And, as another reviewer noted, no full size mirror in the room. Breakfast is free but really mediocre. Ok if you just want yoghurt and toast for breakfast, but the coffee is poor, orange juice diluted, and the other menu choices are chafing dishes scrambled eggs, grayish sausage, etc.

"Nice family suite."

Used the Brookshire for the first time based on recommendation from reviews of the property. Arrived to a very chaotic lobby of checking out, valet and broken down tour bus. Navigated to the front desk and noticed that the receptionist was helping a guest process a payment and was lifting and hanging up on calls to the front desk. ( We attempted to call 5 times enroute to verify we could park in valet starting at 11am and we were hung up on 4 of the 5 times over a 10 minute period.) After valet and storage of our luggage we enjoyed the modern style in the lobby with a few board games and open access computer, a group drinking Corona's at 1030am just added to the entertainment. We set out to enjoy the inner harbor and checked into our room at 3p. The room was the 2 room suite with 2 double beds. Clean, well appointed, and comfortable. All the things you need when traveling with a family of 4. Workout room was basic, spin bike with loose seat, elliptical, 2 treadmills and small selection of dumbells. Rubberized floor, foam roller yoga mats was provided. Temp was a little high for much cardio but we just did our basic calisthenics. The breakfast in the Cloud Lounge was excellent, hot eggs and meat, waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins and bagels were very ample and delicious. Would recommend staying here, only change would be ask for a harbor view, our view was an abandoned building.

This hotel is hip, don't get me wrong, but for a family with a slightly congested 8 yr old, it was family friendly. The breakfast includes bacon/sausage, cheesy eggs, waffle maker; plus yogurt/cereal etc. Shirley ran the breakfast lounge with a great, welcoming attitude and arranged for me to put our son's feel -better popsicles in the freezer up there. Also Eden at the front desk not only rearranged my screwup on the reservation (mistakenly chose room w/ 1 bed vs 2) , she did it while managing a shattered glass table top in the lounge and an embarrassed/shaken other family! The rooms are not deluxe but they are fine and clean.

"great location, however you get what you pay for"

Cheapest hotel around the inner harbor. Not sure about how often the mattress pad gets changed. Found a sock "not mine" in between the pad and the bed. Breakfast was sub par. The bed was very uncomfortable. However the location is stellar and the price was at least $150 cheaper than anywhere else. You get a bed, shower, and a toilet. I was told Best Western just took over this hotel a month ago. it used to be a boutique hotel. Maybe they are planning a renovation.

Very clean and nice. Love the space within the rooms, love the art and decor of the entire place. Location is great and centralized downtown close to everything that you may or may not need. The staff is very generous and will make your stay even more pleasant as well. It's worth the stay. Try it. Enjoy it love it.

I have brought a small group to this hotel two years in a row. Their team is very nice and easy to work with. The rooms are spacious and decorated with a fun flair. The price is great for the accommodations. There are many nearby paid parking lots and the hotel has a valet service which I did not use. The super-large photos of Baltimore's famous musicians can be a bit overwhelming (especially when you have that Counting Crow's guy staring at you in the bathroom), but it's in good fun. Free breakfast in the morning is awesome!
