Best Western Plus Austin Central

I stayed at this hotel for two (2) nights. This hotel was probably about ten (10) minutes away from Downtown Austin without any traffic, and it was just off of Interstate-35. It was a little bit difficult for me to find this hotel, and I did see what looked to be a homeless man near this hotel at the abandoned gasoline station. This hotel consisted of five (5) stories, and it had many rooms. Despite this hotel's high number of guests, it was quiet and there was a large area for people to park. The breakfast was excellent, and I especially enjoyed the toasts, the potatoes, the eggs, and the waffles. I had no problems with the air conditioning, with the hot water, with the television, and with the friendliness of the staff, but the Internet reception was mediocre. I enjoyed the gym on the ground floor. I especially was happy with a free alcohol happy hour on most nights during the early evening hours. It was great to socialize with the other guests. I had room service each day during which I stayed at this hotel. I briefly went to the pool, and it was chilly.

The hotel is in a pretty central location to shopping and food options. The internet worked well and the breakfast was decent. The only true complaint I had was the scarce offerings in the fitness center- very basic and I'm an avid gym-goer. Overall good value and location.

I needed 2 nights and only stayed 1 because I was really tired from driving, as soon as someone woke up at 9:00am by knocking my door twice, took a shower and left Furniture and carpet is old an dirty

We enjoyed the stay at Best Western Plus everyone was friendly, it was very clean, Breakfast was good and very easy check out. I highly recommend this location when your traveling through at Austin Texas.

Ice maker wasn't working on 4th or 1st floor. Blood droplets on two of my three pillows. Breakfast was not hot and some of the food items were overcooked educate all personnel to be concerned about quality and respect for the health and safety of their guests

Cleaning and front desk staff demonstrated passion and excellence toward guest with courtesy. I highly recommend pursuing a new contract to provide breakfast that is healthy for all guests People were complaining

I stayed here one night with my partner for her birthday and this location was ready clean . Also the staff were really polite and breakfast was really enjoyable. I can say that in the future I'll be staying here again

a good night sleep, easy off the i35 and good parking lot, lots of room to park, good breakfast in morning. the pool looked good when i walked by it. there easy places to get to to go eat at night. i like staying here.

Great experience at this hotel. We stayed for a night and found it clean, tidy and friendly staff. Hit Breakfast was great and few choices while the coffee was just perfect. Staff was courteous and overall well maintained hotel. I wish the location was better but we enjoyed our stay.

This was a very interesting place to stay. When we arrived, there was only one lady working and the front desk also served as a bar. Since it was happy hour, the drinks were free, which was a very nice touch, but the poor lady was very busy doing double-duty between checking in guests, trying to rectify a few issues that some guests had, and serving up drinks. The hotel is a little older, but maintained nicely. The breakfast was awesome and the times for breakfast and check-out were more generous than other hotels. Our only concern was that the surrounding neighborhood and hotels looked very sketchy (we were somewhat concerned about our safety), although this Best Western did a good job at maintaining the outside of their property as well. Also, there were a lot of people coming and going from there (some were various kinds of workers who were staying there, but it wasn't clear if some others were staying there or just there to eat or use the pool).

Room was clean. Small bathroom. Room 432. Breakfast at 9:30 am was a nightmare. Full trashcans, no restocking, cooked food was awful. Breakfast employee was on her phone and eating while people requested refills on items. Miss Renee at the front desk was wonderful. Friendly, helpfull and very nice.

Always welcoming accommodations. Quiet and peaceful does not interfere with parking lot noise or hallway noise. Parking lot is a little dim in some areas but security seems to have everything under control. Room was clean and pleasant. Great place for business professionals passing thru.

If you plan on staying here before going for any hospital procedure. Don't. They will refuse you even a slice of toast 1 minute before 6am. Customer service was rude. Probably because we interrupted them on their cell phone when they should've been working.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Austin. Clean, quiet, great staff and great showers. Our first night we decided to order dinner delivery to the lobby, our order arrived and a nice gentleman sitting near us asked if we would like plates and utensils and even directed staff to get a bottle of water for my son. It turned out he was an owner. Great place! Young lady working the front desk, Unique, was extremely polite, helpful, and professional .

Overall, a good stay, convenient, close to restaurants and other local areas. Room was good, and easy to use for a last minute stay. Everything was clean, and just some wear and tear on the door, but overall, a nice hotel.

Horrible check in. Reception girl “unique” was really obnoxious, rude and abrasive. Told me room was not ready (2:35) I had to wait until 3:00. First room smelled of cigarette smoke, but I choose not to change until next day. Bathtub stopper didn't work. Rm 534. Next day I changed to rm 530. Didn't smell, but television didn't work real well. I could see picture, but no sound on some channels, or picture with sound that was for another channel, Priscilla who was at front desk from 3-11, didn't know how to fix it, so I just left it. Breakfast was just so - so. The waffles were pretty awful, they came out really chewy. Had same problem at another BW. There were sausages, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and ham. The breads were stale, no yogurt, fruit was apples or oranges. Very disappointing. Property is nice, but access to it is really bad, and at night it is easy to miss entrance to parking lot at hotel that is under construction - you can drive through it. Signage to hotel is poor. I thought the location was horrible. Lobby area is very nice. I thought it was odd that the bathroom sink was so low, basically it was at the top of my legs. Wifi was fine. Bed was very comfortable, pillows were fiberfill and so-so.

3 of the first 4 rooms I tried all had BEDBUGS! Lamps in the first room I was given didn't even have BULBS in them! Hotel staff members were very pleasant, courteous, and helpful. Maintenance availability was POOR, for repairs to any problems in the rooms. Employee parking their car at the entrance created a SAFETY HAZARD, and I was nearly RUN OVER by another patron who had to BACK OUT of the entry driveway due to the parked car. Driver missed me and my luggage cart by only 2" after I screamed at them to STOP!

Registered at Kiosk-bad inept agent experience. Key cards wouldn't work, had to redo. Side door semi operational, difficult to open. Only elevator on first floor out of service. Room on 4th floor, wouldn't move us to lower floor room. Heater in room not operational. TV changer needed batteries. 158 channel TV system down until next week's repair. Had to continuously re-login to wifi. Two night stay, key cards only set for 1 night. Had to redo key cards a 3rd time.

This hotel is not the worst but not the best. The price compared to other places is reasonable, so we were not expecting a 5-star hotel. With that said, we still expected a certain level of cleaning ness and comfort. We arrived late, and we were checked in promptly. The room was just ok, not the cleanest or most comfortable. The carpet smelled a bit, and you could see where the room was cleaned to a certain extent—much dust on the headboards and other surfaces. The carpet is only vacuumed to where the vacuum reaches, I am assuming, because you can see where it stops and the accumulation of dust starts. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets were clean. However, there was mold along the shower, and the mirror had not been cleaned. We only had two towels, with four of us staying in the room. The key cards stopped working every 12 hours, and I had to go down to get a new set of key cards. Breakfast was just ok; it was the same every morning, making me wonder if the only warm-up was left from the day before. We were unaware that cleaning does not happen daily but every three days. Parking was ok; there were many homeless people in the area, and we saw someone camping out in the back of the hotel. The gym needs improvement, as many machines need to be fixed. The gym has towels that have seen better days, and the hand sanitizer and paper towel stations are empty. You can also see where the gym needs to be cleaned regularly, and you have to access it from the outside because the elevator does not work on that floor. On a positive note, the internet is free, and the lineup of channels on television is good. Overall it is not the worst stay we have had but room for improvement.

Rooms were clean, staff was amazing. Breakfast was hot never able to us pool the cool weather came in, we had a lot to do daily this was one of many stays, doing this review makes the survey a pain as it request 200 characters which is not necessary

Nextdoor to a derelict / closed motel. Back of it looked like a garbage dump. Completed pre-check in. Hotel internet down on arrival, check in kiosk was off before and after. Several guests waiting to check in. Waited a total of maybe 30 min. because the guest in front of us was reserving several rooms once internet back up. Clerk offered us a complimentary cooler drink which was nice. One elevator not working but nothing posted. Able to use another one. Room on 3rd floor overlooking lobby was kinda noisy, smelled a bit damp. Dissapointed in outdoor pools since they are seasonal-only. Small, square pillows are the norm now apparently. Other than all that... it seemed clean, breakfast was ok. We stayed there due to a nearby early morning medical appt (from Killeen). We may or may not stay there again for that same purpose.

i stay here cause i collect points, but it is close to where i need to go, for work, good places to eat near by, easy on and off i35, good parking, clean place and a good breakfast to pick from in the morning

The room was okay. Considering we had our little fur baby we had no choice. You get rooms that are sort of a basement feel. We were near the exit and the door slams EVERY time someone opens and closes it. Ruined our sleep. People had dogs they couldn't control so that wasn't great! Bathtub was moldy. Floor was dirty. Chair had disgusting stain. And the worst part is this location was next door to an abandoned building with homeless all over the place.

This has been my fifth or sixth time to stay at this hotel. Easy access, good parking, decent rooms, great coffee machine and good breakfast. The property next door is getting a lot of hobo and vagrance hanging out that I hope they're able to get a grip on.... I have had no issues while at the Best Western but last week while there saw a whole lot more homeless people hanging out near the property. As long as I don't see it spilling into my parking area no harm no foul.

Staff very helpful and security was active keeping parking lot secure. Alcohol accommodations were great too. Close to all access highways. Check in was fast and easy, the app does its job and the point rewards are great.

I've travels all over and have stayed at many hotels however this one was one of my least favourites. There was so much noise going on at 8:30/9 in the morning I couldn't enjoy the rest I wanted Because of that and when brought to attention of the staff It was brushed off. Very unsatisfied with this hotel and their service or lack thereof

Wonderful time ! Breakfast and comfortable rooms are your selling points ! The staff was very helpful and anything we needed they attended to it immediately. I usually don't stay at BW in my travels , but I am so glad I did on this trip . Please give them a try! You will enjoy yourself .

This is a good hotel with a nice pool/bar/breakfast, well worth the money. The area around the hotel is nice as well, it was close to the Palmer Event Center, and lots of eating and entertainment as well.

I am a superintendent and stay for months at a time in hotels away from my home and Best Western is by far my preferred hotel. I have stayed at Best Western at least 150 of the near 250 nights away from home and I noticed one thing is the same at every Best Western I stay at and that is thier staff is awesome. Highly recommend staying at Best Western no matter what city you may find yourself in for the night.

My stay at Best Western has always been pleasant. Great customer service and a very friendly environment. When I needed something, they didn't hesitate, got it on the spot! In my observations, they made everyone feel welcomed.

Stayed 1 night. Upon arrival several homeless people by entrance one of them screaming at nothing. Get up to room 312 smelt musty/mildew looked up during bathing and saw mildew all over ceiling and showerhead leaking on me while filling up tub. Refrigerator not working. Moved to room 322 still mildew on bathroom ceiling, but not as bad. Pool not sparkling, instead cloudy not inviting and never used. Breakfast was cold and absolutely horrible. Will NEVER stay there again! Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!

Stayed here long term while working at a local hospital. The food at the front desk were great. Breakfast was definitely lacking as was those serving it. Not friendly at all. Good location. Security on the premises helped me feel secure. Recommended.

Definitely would not stay here again. Rude staff. Empty liquor bottles in the parking lot and homeless people. We did not feel safe when checking out at 3am for an early flight. Hotel is listed as 10 miles from the airport but at 3am it still was a 25 minute drive.

Enjoyed the breakfast and good sleep. We were in quiet area and were given the opportunity for a late checkout which we appreciated. Kind staff in front desk. Kitchen staff could be friendlier. Would recommend

Hotel was filthy and staff was condescending and rude to me when I expressed concern that there was trash in my closet and bathroom upon check in. My daughter found paper debris in between her sheets. Son's bedding had a burn hole in it. Main hallway carpeting had large black stains. So gross.

If you are looking for a hotel with a pool, beware. The pool only opens after memorial day and this information was not listed on the website. Big disappointment! Breakfast items ran out both days - regular waffle batter and yogurt. Staff was rude when I asked for waffle batter and didn't refill it.

BW is price gouging “big time” Bar / lounge a laughingstock! Filthiest carpets ever! Bathroom is like a small closet! Waste of good money, will not be staying at/or recommending BW to anyone. Poorest excuse for a hotel ever!

During our stay, we heard commotion in the room next door which needed the cops to come to the hotel. Turns out it was a guy with a prostitute leaving from the window! After we talked to the front desk for a room change, we were told that "they were removed from the premises and their cards were stripped". They said that, but we heard the man return later on in the day. My friend and I were terrified to leave the room because of the things we heard from the room next to us and lost a whole day of our trip and could not even get a different room so that we felt more safe in a state we aren't familiar with. We were also not informed that the pool would not be open until coming there and asking the front desk. I feel like it should be disclosed that it does not open until Memorial Day.

Amenities are nice and patio are next to the pool is nice. Hotel needs a bit of maintenance. There was a leak in our bathroom ceiling and it smelled of mold. There was also a leak in the ceiling of the pounds leading to the outdoor patio next to the pool.

Good , front desk lady was nice and friendly. hotel is in a good location stores and restaurants are near by. easy access to get onto the highway. they have breakfast in the morning a little bit of everything.

Started with 15 minute wait for someone to show up at front desk, next was the padlock on pool gate due to "construction" that evidently began between the time I I booked the room this morning (and asked about pool) and check in. Next was ATM in lobby out of order. Next was complimentary drinks at lobby lounge closed until Monday. Next was after my daughter tried on torn hallway carpet and scraped her knee I had to track down only employee I could find smoking at front door only to find out not a first aid kit in entire hotel! NEVER HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE!!!

Good hotel and good breakfast. Helpful staff. Good room as and they are clean. Just if they can extend the breakfast timing till 11. I would definitely suggest this hotel and it's not too far from downtown so if you like partying, East 6th street is like 8-10 min drive.

This hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. This hotel is centrally located in Austin. Everything you might need or want is within a very short distance from the hotel. I highly recommend the Best Western Plus Austin Central.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Everything worked well. Air conditioning quickly cooled down the room, even with an afternoon check in. Easy check in process. Very complete full breakfast, which seems standard with Best Western, but unusual for most hotels.

We receive the BEST service in the country at this specific hotel. The Owner, Don Johns"t"on is the kindest and most polite person you will ever meet! The amenities are fantastic. They even have happy hour during the week from 5:30-7 with free beer on tap! Dos Equis and Miller Lite. Rooms are remodeled and the BEDS are incredibly cozy! Excellent location as well! 5 Stars all the way around. Highly recommend!

Decent hotel for the price. No frills. Free parking, breakfast. Breakfast was OK. It's served in a very congested area.. No pool or hot tub. Quiet and clean rooms. Coffee machine in the lobby. Had no problems at all.

This hotel is very clean the bed is very comfortable and the breakfast is very delicious and the gym has all of my equipment. I recommend highly anyone to stay here. I really felt at home staying here at this hotel and all of the staff was extremely nice.

Good breakfast. Clean, comfortable rooms, accommodating staff. Great location and plenty of parking. Would recommend this hotel for individuals or families. The only thing I would say is that I stayed at the hotel two weekends in a row and a bad washer that was reported on my first visit wasn't fixed by my second visit.

Nice hotel and staff. Decent location. Overall nice hotel. Bed very comfortable. Room very clean. Breakfast was full hot breakfast, served by staff, but nice selection of hot items. Room was a bit cramped, TV guide channel doesn't match actual channels, only one trash can in the entire room, located in bathroom. Which makes it both weird and gross to have to bring it out into living spaces. We did NOT appreciate the 8:30 am wake up of housekeeping knocking on our door and announcing themselves. Overall nice hotel and stay that would/could have easily moved into the GREAT stay category with some very minor training and additions to the room equipment list. Unfortunately it left us feeling as is if this was a budget hotel that invites thier guests to leave ASAP with a “friendly” housekeeping knock on the door, just to make sure your not sleeping in and an unspoken invitation to get out so they can empty the one single line trash bin, wipe the room down and move on to another task. So value for our money, I'd have to say NO. I can get a housekeeping wake up knock at the America's Best Value inn directly behind this hotel for half the cost. Lol

I showed up to the hotel to check in. Rudy is at the front desk and asked me for my ID and credit card that I booked it with. I took my ID and credit card out and even showed him the email that confirmed my reservation. He looks at my ID and says you are under 21 do you have anyone that's over the age that's staying with you to check in for you. My friend came to the front and showed Rudy his ID (obviously over 21) My friend doesn't say one word and Rudy says I am not letting y'all check in. I asked why and he said that the reason was because I am not over 21 and my friend was too intoxicated to check into a hotel. My friend had 2 maybe 3 drinks before checking in and was totally fine, he was not stumbling over the counter nor being disruptive or reckless. I asked Rudy how he could be too intoxicated when he is acting totally fine. Rudy refused to answer and did not want to give me my room. Keep in mind that I had already paid the $300 for the reservation about 2/3 prior weeks to this. I kept telling Rudy this but he kept insisting for me to get out and leave the hotel. I obviously refused to leave because I already paid and he threatened to call the cops. I told Mr. Rudy to please call them and so he did. What did Mr.Rudy think calling special forces on me would do?? My other friend that was also staying at the hotel for his 30th birthday came out to try and help the situation. Rudy was not complying at all and didn't let me stay at the hotel. We left and celebrated my friends birthday and we came back to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel around 3am thank god there was another person at the front desk to help us. We tried to check in again but Rudy had cancelled our reservation. Chris helped us and was very helpful and nice about the whole situation. He understood and helped my friends and I get a room so we could stay the night. Room was very nice, no complaints about anything other than Mr. Rudy. Very very rude and disrespectful for no apparent reason at all. I work in the customer service industry and have a lot of patience for things like this because I understand and know what we go through, but Mr.Rudy was not nice nor understanding at all and had an attitude from the get go. Yes I called him stupid because the man was being ridiculous, if anything he deserved more than just being called stupid. Especially for calling the cops on me. Get rid of Mr.Rudy and y'all have the perfect hotel.

Great stay for business or leisure. Staff is very accommodating with positive attitudes. The facility was clean. The location was allowed me to be close to the hospital for work, plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. I will choose this location for my stays when I'm in Austin.

The staff was very friendly, & accommodating. The room was a little on the small side, but more than adequate for our purposes. Everything was very clean & well stocked. Check in & check out were quick & simple. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area, & have a moderate budget.

Where to even begin here... Masks policy isn't enforced at all, I understand its Texas and the bar is super low but there are people walking around coughing over everything. The Room itself is dated, ceiling above the shower is peeling, doors have seen better days. The walls are SUPER thin. I could hear literally everything going on out in the hallway. The electrical is spotty, my lights were randomly just going on and off throughout my stay. Hot water was also a little spotty while showering. the floor clearly had not been vacuumed when I checked in. the hotel is priced way above what you should be paying for a room here

It is close enough to UT but just far enough from all the downtown traffic. A lot of restaurants nearby and shopping centers. The new soccer field is nearby as well as the Roundrock Express baseball team.

The room was not clean; the bed had blood stains on the sheets, the floor had stains in the carpet, and there was an odor. In addition, there was a homeless community in the neighboring abandon building that would walk through the cars/parking lot. I believe I saw one man with something in his hand. I did not feel safe enough to remain in the hotel.

Would not suggest staying in this area. There were homeless encampments very close by. Beyond that the hotel was just ok. The shower heads were terrible, basically a dribble of water. There were multiple outlets in the room that didn't work. The TV sound and picture were completely out of sync. Breakfast was mediocre and the one toaster only worked on one side. They put a sign on it telling you only one side worked instead of replacing it. Couldn't use the pool because of all the people smoking sitting around it. At one point there was a group of people working on a big truck in the parking lot. The walls are thin so you can hear noise from the hall and even outside from the 3rd floor. Need was comfortable though and It was clean, so if that's enough for you then you might be satisfied.

This place has been here a long time, and has been re-branded Best Western. It was once Drury Inn, but for some reason they moved around the corner and up the road a bit. I've stayed with this place twice now, and I have no complaints with their rooms or service. I probably wouldn't stay here were it not for the loyalty points. The closing of Mueller Field Airport has had a devastating effect on the economy in the neighborhood. Even the mall closed up and blew away and became a junior college. The rooms in this place are unusual. It's a split level building where the entry is on floor 2. It's a little confusing if you park behind the building and find out you can't get to the front desk from the rear and side entry. You'll have to go up a level. This building is surrounded by bottom dollar accommodations from other brands, and honestly I didn't like the clientele hanging around outside the building. I've had no crime or trouble here, but in years past I did have an incident with the property adjacent to this one. They don't have vending but they do have a pantry like affair with a strange selection of drinks, and hardly any snacks at all. They have a really fancy coffee brewer and of course a business center. It's 5 stories tall and the architecture is 100% Drury Inn. The parking is generous and not hard to get into. Their approach to breakfast is different than anything else I've seen. They serve you to a serving window, but nothing is take-all-you-want. They don't offer either pancakes or waffles, but the breakfast breads were generous. The food quality was good enough, and at least as good as their competitors in the same price bracket. I have only a couple of criticisms of this place. The biggest shortcoming is the carpet down the main hall to the rooms is beyond worn out and unacceptable. It's threadbare, and there are spills and stains every few feet. More and more properties are going to hard floors that can be mopped, and it's obvious why this is a miserable place for carpet. Whatever the case it makes the whole building look bad, and this is not a slouchy place. I have always wondered who was the genius that suggested we should put textiles affixed to the floor that cannot be removed and cleaned. On my way to breakfast the first morning there I find a huge black man face down in the public hallway just snoring. People were walking around him like he's not even there, and it did raise an eyebrow with me. Later I'd as the GM/owner why was that person there, and the property did nothing about him. I got a long winded explanation how drunk he was, which I don't find to be valid reason for allowing him to stay there. If he's that drunk there are criminal charges for that and the police should have persuaded him to leave. It was just plain creepy. The elevators and the door locks confuse the heck out of the ignorant (that's me.) The outside entry doors that require a room key to open them don't give the user any indication it's unlocked. When the guest waves their card at the sensor they have a little red light on them that blinks red, suggesting that the key did not read. If you fool around with it for a minute you'll learn it's actually silently unlocking, but you don't know it. The elevators have not been cared for and there's indictor lamps burned out all over the place. From the ground floor if you press the call button, nothing lights up leading the user to believe the call signal was not received. Looking above the elevator shows the indicator lamps on which floor the car is, and only some of those work. It leaves the guest standing there pressing the button not knowing if the car is coming for them, or if they are wasting time waiting on a dead elevator. Elevators are just machines, which leads me to wonder if they aren't taking care of the lamps, what other maintenance has been deferred that's a whole lot more important?? When the elevator car begins to move the noises it makes inject even more doubt into the guest if this thing is safe to ride. I've never used the front elevator which is in the lobby and serves floors 2-5. I've stayed here several times and I'm still coming back. I like the location, location, location, and the free parking is important. I used to stay next door until I found them royally short-changing my mother, and I've never been back. Best Westerns are 100% privately owned, and agree to a franchise agreement on quality. They may appear in any kind of building and the rooms will always be of good quality, but the building housing them can be virtually anything. One of the biggest calling cards for the brand is I don't have to watch over my loyalty points with BW because once they don't have a timer running trying to constantly take them back.

Had a great experience here. Came last minute with my boyfriend from a different place. We arrived at a late hour, completely exhausted, but were greeted by a wonderful guest services representative named Chris. Chris went out of his way to be kind and smile. He was efficient in getting us to our room, but more importantly apologetic about our previous problems at our other stay and welcoming to us at the Best Western Plus. He is a great person and really made our stay at the BWP. Without him it would have just been another stay at another hotel. The room was quiet and the sheets were clean. Definitely would stay again.

When we pulled up to the hotel there were a huge group of people in cars and on motorcycles blasting music and just sitting around talking at the drop off/check in pavilion. The employees were very nice. Going up the elevator was horrible. The button barely worked. The elevator shook and creaked all the way. I felt like I was in a horror movie. The hallways were disgusting. The room was even worse. It had a mildew smell. The carpet was stained and crunchy is some spots. It was just so gross. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned. We could barely sleep well because it felt so gross. When my son woke up in the morning he was covered in bug bites. I checked his bed for bugs but didn't see any so idk about that. But still. This hotel was very expensive for what we got. Even though it is in Austin. I felt like we were at a motel 6.

The location was good and easily accessible. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Room was on the smaller side but comfortable. Nightly happy hour. I would recommend if you need a nice place on a budget.

Terrible staff, especially a young man that works front desk. They were uncooperative with questions and emergency cancelations (and due to a major family emergency as well) . The young man continued to hang up on me and refused to give me his higher ups information.. I have stayed with this hotel every single time I visit Austin, but I can guarantee I will NEVER be staying with this hotel again. I work in hotels, and still am at a loss of words for how this employee handled this situation.

If you expect to see a working TV, don't stay at this place! If you want a very CLEAN room, this is not the place. I found a lemon slice under the desk and the water pressure was very LOW, it kept turning hot and cold a few times and the staff serving me breakfast was not wearing a mask! The TV CC didn't work at all and the remote was not working right.

This hotel was in a pretty good location.When I checked in the customer service was on point. This place has it on Happy hour from 5:30 to 7:00 pm during the week with free beer. I enjoy my stay at this place and had no problem revisiting.

There is a homeless encampment directly across the street from the hotel. The vagrants wander into the parking area and into the hotel during breakfast looking for a free mill. During our stay one vagrant was pepper sprayed in the breakfast area causing the individual to roll around on the floor and act as if he was going to vomit. The rest of the quests had to leave breakfast because the spray was affecting us all. In all fairness Austin has a homeless problem that undoubtedly is impacting a lot of businesses. Almost everywhere we traveled we encountered their encampments along highways, under bridges, behind buildings, etc. The hotel itself is pretty average, Hallway carpets were dirty and stained. Rooms were Ok and reasonably quiet. This hotel wears the Best Western Plus badge but doesn't deserve the rating.

The staff was very helpful and supportive under our circumstances. We were able to refer them to a number of friends who also power at their homes. They accommodated us and our pets. When they lost water, they provided bottled water to us.

My husband stayed here for business about a weeke ago. During his stay someone stole his ice cooler, his food, some tools, cables and his clothes. He reported this to the front desk attendant and was told their property has 4 security guards 2 at night and 2 day ones. Apparently they saw this thief going through other guest's vehicles aswell on their survellience cameras and he was arrested. She apologized and said her General Manager would be contacting him to reimburse him for his losses on friday. Well friday has come and gone, no phone call, monday no phone call.

Hotel was average....Only stayed one night but front desk clerk was not real friendly and didn't bother to explain at check in that due to Covid virus they did not have breakfast service AT ALL. Went down next morning and looked all around for several minutes before clerk came out and asked if she could help me with something. I asked about breakfast and only then was told they only have "sacked breakfast". There were sacks on the desk so I grabbed one....there was a VERY small granola bar, a ROTTEN orange, and a store bought muffin. NO DRINK offered other than coffee from a automated machine. Last time I will stay at this hotel and will Not recommend it to anyone except to stay away.

My rating is based on this level of hotel and not comparing it to a 5 star property. It was recently renovated except for the awful orange color hallway carpet. However that is a minor issue compared to the nice sized and well appointed rooms. As is often the case in this level hotel the bathroom is small but there was more counter space than many. I think the living area was very spacious with a lounging chair and sufficient room on both sides of bed for luggage. Bed was comfortable with 4 pillows provided, microwave, refrigerator, and complimentary coffee. One little oddity is the bathroom sink was lower than what I am used to. The included breakfast was sufficient and the area easy to maneuver with ample seating. In the afternoon there is a happy hour with free beer and wine which was a nice touch. Easy access to freeway but with Austin traffic it required additional time to reach the downtown area.

Overall this hotel is in a good location that allows easy access to a couple of freeways. The beds were a little hsrd for my taste, but overall a decent stay. The lobby and room felt clean and the staff members were friendly.

I had the best experience at this hotel. The staff is AMAZING and FRIENDLY!! Renee Henry is a life saver. Kind, professional, and helpful. She asked if there was anything she could do to help me, and she meant it. She is a kind soul and made my business trip much more human. I love it when I get to meet good people. I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in being treated like you are staying with a friend.

I stay at this location every time I travel to Austin. It's a great location for my business purposes. The rooms are always clean, the front desk always friendly and although the hotel is usually packed, the rooms are quiet and I rarely hear any noise from adjoining rooms. And the breakfast is always hot and hearty.

This property is centrally located at the southwest corner of I-35 and Hwy 290, close to the old Austin Airport. The area is congested during rush hour times. This property looks like an old Hampton property and the owners have done a decent job of renovating the property without major construction. It is a larger motel property that offers a good complimentary breakfast and offers an inviting outdoor pool when the season/weather permits.

The location was not very good. It wasn't near anything and my room was facing the freeway. My room was alright. There was a buzzing sound coming from maybe the AC or something on the wall? The bed was pretty comfy. The shower curtain was worst for wear - form in some spots. The blinds in the room worked well and didn't let in any light. There is a gym but I didn't check it out. I was given late check out which was nice and they didn't mind me hanging out in the lobby while I was waiting to leave for my meeting. All in all not a great experience, but ok for just a night stay over.

I arrived in Austin for a conference for work. I was glad to find this location as it was close to my conference location. Prior to arriving, I called to inform the front desk of my late arrival and check in. I had no issues during my stay. All of the staff was friendly and professional. The room was a bit tight in terms of size, but I must admit that I had a great deal of stuff and there is a lot of growth and expansion in Austin, so I do realize that they are maximizing space. I definitely recommend this location.

Hotel staff is always friendly, helpful, focused on making each stay the very best. beds are exceptional for sleeping! convenient location to go get or have meals delivered. breakfast is always fresh - delicious.

I had to drop off my daughter at the UT. I always stay here. It is safe. Sometimes, I will even see a security guard walking around. This hotel may cost a bit more but it is a great stay. Beds new and comfy. Breakfast was great. They should have that afternoon kickback everyday not only during the week. Overall, great stay. I always enjoy it

Larry at the front desk was phenomenal. He took care of my parents while they were in town for a surgery. I'm very pleased with Larry and BW! The location was perfect only 10 minutes away from the Seton Medical Plaza with IHop is right next door! Thanks Larry, I scored big with the parents.

I stayed here to attend a graduation at UT Austin. We checked in for one night at 10 pm and checked out next morning 8 am. Its not at a great location close to restaurants etc. and did not have a restaurant on facility. If you need a quck bite of snack like a Pizza or a sandwich minimum order for delivery is $25.

Always a joy staying here. Best western plus Austin central is conveniently located off the highway and the staff is caring and helpful. The breakfast is to die for, always full of food and never dirty!

The accommodations at the hotel are top notch. it started from a quick and pleasant check in process which a extremely knowledgeable front desk clerk. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and well present and the WiFi was excellent throughout my stay. Highly recommend this hotel for any and all visitors to the Austin area.

I prefer to stay @ Best Western Plus Central when in Austin! The staff are top notch and always make me feel at home while there!! Rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable! On site 24 hour security is always a good thing!!

This is a little hidden gem. The neighborhood seems rough, but the hotel is nice. Easy access to the freeway and good parking. I used rewards points to pay for my stay and was treated just as nice as if I was a full paying customer.

My wife and I often visit our son, attending the University of Texas. Our stays, in Austin, were a hit and miss until we stayed at the Best Western Plus. The staff is very professional, and are always eager to help. The hotel is well maintained and clean, and the pool area and patio is very nice. They also have a pretty nice breakfast spread. All at a verr fair price!

Besides the comfortable beds this hotel offers very friendly, courteous staff (Larry and Rene) and always greet you with a smile!! Another benefit is the happy hour offered. A nice way to end the day!

Please do not stay here! The bathtub in my room was filthy. It was dark with scum, dirt and fungus. I showed the pictures to the desk clerk. I requested that it be cleaned right away but it never was! I could not use the tub in fear of contracting a disease! I spoke to the manager briefly and sent the pictures to him. He refuses to respond or do anything about my concerns. I paid $171.00 for a room where I could not even use the bathtub! This is outrageous.

A comfortable and clean BW plus with a great comfy beds. The front of house staff were so welcoming and helpful with very special mention to Renee and Larry. That really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Well deserving of the 5 star for these 2 guys alone. Just one blot on the card was a lady called Brenda that was so rude and short mannered toward other staff that it made us feel uncomfortable.

I have been booking corporate rooms for the past several months at the Best Western Plus Austin Central Total $ 5266.14 with many more trips to follow. We had a scheduling change and needed to cancel 1 room until we can work out the schedule and were told no we would have to pay for the room there is nothing they can do for us. This is the worst customer service. Unbelievably short sighted.

I stay here for the week while I work at the UofTexas. Internet doesn't work almost ever, breakfast is basic at best and where this hotel is located is sketchy most of the time. Access to the highway isn't terrible

We enjoyed the weekend! Th erooms were very large and everything was clean! Great staff always smiling! Breakfast had large selection... I loved the potatos, biscuits, and gravy! The Texas waffles added a fun touch to the selection.

Buda is a dormitory town a few miles south of Austin. We chose to stay a couple of nights because of it's easy access to Austin, San Antonio and Austin Airport. The Hotel is some way out of the centre of Buda but is very well located for the main highways. You would have to have a car to stay here. It has a pool , pretty good breakfasts, and large rooms. There is a coin laundry within the hotel. There are other seemingly similar hotels all around. It is efficient and functional but with no identifiable character.

It's an average hotel! if you don't expect anything extraordinary you will not be disappointed! Regular rooms, regular breakfast, clean enough! a good option for a one-day or short stay! Really close to downtown and easy access

An excellent clean Hotel that provided fast check-in/out...great service...professional staff...good hot breakfasts....and we especially enjoyed the Happy Hour event relaxing in their nice lobby. Our room was clean and comfortable which included a microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator with small freezer which we needed since we stayed for a week. This is the second time using this Hotel and we plan to return again next year.

Needed a nice hotel close to work location. This hotel was fairly convenient. Austin is a traffic nightmare and finding your way around all the freeways and construction is a pain. The hotel was nice, comfortable but somewhat difficut to fine in the freeway mess.

The experience was very good. The desk staff was great, the food very good, all was good except location. If you don't have gps forget trying to get there, it's not visable from anywhere and hard to see even when you are at the drive. The location was the only reason for only 4 stars

The stay went real smooth. There were no real problems. I had to drop off my daughter at the University of Texas area. I had furniture in the back of the truck and left it outside. I wasn't really worried about my things being stolen because I have seen a security on the premises and I can see my vehicle from the room. The university is a bit away but I still like staying here. I stay here like 4-6 times a year. The breakfast buffet is what I like. The rooms are real comfortable. I even use the exercise center.

The room smelt like pee. It smelt like it hadn't been cleaned up properly and there was an odor like old pee. There were pistachio shells from the previous person, a dirty sock in the closet, and a mikes hard lemonade bottle top under the chair. This room obviously hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. It makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the rooms. Maybe more time needs to be spent cleaning the rooms. The pool was closed too which the kids wanted to swim so bad.

The hotel is decent overal . If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this is not the place for you. It is many steps above a hotel 6, but not the Hilton 5 star. The breakfast is good. They have pancakes instead of waffles though. :( The beds were fine, the room was clean. The only real issue I had was bad WiFi signal. I've stayed at this hotel more than 5 times, so I know the issue isn't in every room.

Stayed here for the weekend! Staff were always great and friendly! Our room had two queen sized bed, microwave and fridge! It was all very clean! The pillows were super comfy! We missed breakfast but for the priced paid, it's great to know they serve breakfast as well! Will definitely book again if we visit Austin in the future! Location is close to everything and right off the freeway!

This was our second time staying at this location. The staff was great as always and the breakfast was excellent. Any time we are in Austin this will be our hotel of choice. The location is great and close to shopping sites

I am training to run a route thru downtown, north, east , South and west of Austin every week. This location has been a true "find". I love the convenience of their location and friendly staff. There are several restaurants near so no need to travel far to search for a meal.

Although the surrounding properties may look a little worrisome (being right off the freeway with an abandoned bank next door), the service, quality, and cleanliness at the hotel were all top notch. I would definitely stay here again!

This location is about 10/15 minutes from everything so we found that to be perfect. Breakfast was a plus and the hotel was very nice with great service. Would DEFINITLEY reccomed to stay at in Austin

We were in Austin for one night and chose this location. It didn't map correctly so we drove in circles until we got to it. The location is convenient but it's nestled between two freeways and E.Koenig is basically a feeder street. We used gift cards for our room and it took way too long to get checked in. The room was very nice, clean and reasonably priced and included breakfast. The common areas need refreshing - see the photo of the carpet in the hallway to our room. Other than that we were pleased with out stay and the proximity to the University of Texas campus.Would definitely stay here again.

Great for business travel. Happy hour was a nice bonus that I was not aware of when booking, but would have been a great marketing tool. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and tasty. Check in and check out were quick.

My room was nicely renovated and modern, with a dark color scheme. The free breakfast was great with sausage patties, juice, coffee/tea, scrambled or boiled eggs, cereals, and more! While the area seems safe, this hotel is located adjacent to a long-term stay motel, where guests like to hang around outside and watch you come and go. The other neighbor was what appeared to be an abandoned bank. When I was there, many of the hotel guests appeared to be contractors working on the nearby highway, so the parking lot had many commercial vehicles and many guests at breakfast wore work boots and dirty jeans. If you prefer, there is an iHop close by.

We stayed prior to our vacation flight. I had booked thru Amex, however the front desk did not have our reservation. Davon was a gem! Very professional, informative and helpful young man. There were not any standard king rooms available, however he put is in a king suite. Very roomy, ac was super cold! Great hotel and location, would definitely stay again. Only minor complaint was the dim lighting in the bathroom. Again Davon was super duper!!!

the room was small. The place was clean with good breakfast and hot drink station. However, we have stayed at other places in Austin and this was the best so far. It is expensive on holidays and college grad weekends.

This is an older hotel, there is two elevators but one did not work while we were there. Our room was small even though we were upgraded. Ice machine on our floor did not work so I walked down to the floor below to get ice. They do have a bar right next to the check in and they have happy hour for guests (one free drink). The bartender made our drinks liquor free as we do not drink. The breakfast was good and there is plenty of setting.

Super clean hotel, recently renovated and perfect for business travelers. I really enjoyed the free drinks at the front desk, having a cocktail waiting for you after a long day's work was top notch. Great service.

The one thing I didn't like about this hotel was the exterior and the smell of cleaning products throughout the entrance and hallways. The rooms themselves didn't smell like cleaning products which was great! The bathroom was tiny but updated and clean. They had complimentary breakfast!

Everything was fine. The rooms are a little small and bedding not super comfortable (bring your own if you're picky like me). The room was quiet at night. The staff was kind. The free breakfast and microwave / fridge in the room was good!

If you are a person of faith, recommend you find another hotel in the area. Front desk people were very friendly and just as surprised and disappointed as we were that the Owner and/or Manager had decided to no longer have Bibles in the room or even available upon request.

This BW is in an awful location, surrounded by elevated interstate and state highway ramps. It feels like you're staying under a highway overpass. Bounded by one-way roads, it's difficult to come and go. Austin, TX, should be deeply ashamed of their traffic and highway engineering. If you stay here, get directions from the front desk; GPS and phones are confused by this strange location. Didn't feel safe.

Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast offered nice variety including hot items. Good location if visiting the Capitol. Staff pleasant and helpful. Reasonably priced. Would considering staying here again.

The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I like the fact that the windows open to allow fresh air in, and that the HVAC system is "central" as opposed to an under the window unit. Breakfast was good and went beyond the usual Best Western hot breakfast fare. Very impressed with the options and service.

Spent two nights here. Spacious and quiet room, comfortable bedding and pillows, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast area is roomy, food fresh and refilled often. I had a problem printing from the business center and the front desk clerk gladly assisted me. Convenient location and not far from downtown Austin, an easy fifteen ride. Hotel itself is well maintained, bright and cheery.

Very pleased with the stay. The front desk staff is courteous, helpful and friendly, the breakfast is beyond expectations - flavorful and healthy, the king room is spacious and clean. I asked for room upgrade and my request was accommodated. I'm very happy I chose this hotel for my family trip. Smiling staff, good food, espresso maker, close proximity to Downtown, free huge parking, clean facilities and room. Only one downside - some noise bleeds through the doors if other guests speak louder. Overall, during our 7 nights stay everything was quiet and peaceful, but occasionally we would hear some muffled voices and vacuum cleaner from the hallway.

We were pleasantly surprised to find the BW+ remodeled with professional craftsmanship. The decor was beautiful and inviting. The hotel is sitting under a hiway major intersection but inside our room we did not hear any of the heavy traffic. The beds were very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant one.

I traveled from Virginia to Austin Texas to go to the No Agenda Meetup. The hotel is located a short distance from Amaya's Taco Village with excellent food and atmosphere. A short walk in other direction is an IHOP for late night fare and always a great staple for breakfst meals. As the name of the hotel implies it is in a nice central location for trips to nearby attractions.

Definitely Love this Hotel! Great Staff and very Clean! They always greet you with a smile. Love that they recognize rewards members and honor late check out! Renee is awesome and so is the guy but I always forget his name. Even thought the hotel was packed you wouldn't know it. All the guests are very respectful to other guests and that is a plus because sometimes other guest can really make a person have a bad experience. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful reception and lounge area. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful with suggesting places to eat and helping us with phoning a tour company for info as the hop on hop off was not in service while we were there.Breakfast was great,plenty to offer. Ordered dinner in and ate in the lounge area.Rooms were large, beds were comfortable.The hotel was spotless.

I was absolutely impressed with the woman running the place, Judy was her name. She was everything and more that I needed for my stay. The hotel was clean and quiet, so hospitable. I highly recommend the Best Western Plus Austin Central.

Crap hotel. looks good one the outside. NO restaurant. Full of construction crew tracking mud through. Dirty towels. Broken lamps. Lights not working. HORRIBLE stay. Didn't feel safe as a single female traveler

Front desk clerks were friendly smile sand helpful on easy checked in and checked out quickly. Location was easy access off I35. Breakfast was hot and plenty to choice from. Rooms were clean with hot water.

Nice,clean and great service. I came in early and they let me check in early for no charge. The breakfast was good. Customer service reps were knowledgeable and efficient. The room was decorated nicely and the bed was comfortable.

I have to travel a lot for business and conferences throughout the year so I am used to the normal hotel experience and usually do not have problems with a few room issues here and there. This stay was a different story however. I checked into the hotel for a work conference around 9pm. The guy at the front desk was nice but failed to mention anything about the boil water notice that Austin was currently under. Nor were there any signs posted that would have been within reasonable viewing distance for a guest checking in, or walking up to their room. I went up to my room without knowing there was an issue and of course used the water from the tap in my room to drink, brush my teeth, shower, etc. There was no where near enough signs to let me know there was a problem and not to use the water. The one sign they had posted was at the far end of the downstairs counter, not easily noticed when someone from out of town is checking in at night. They should have either put signs in all of the rooms over the sink, or have the staff tell people checking in that there was a water problem. Not to mention the room was small and loud, but that I can usually understand. As for breakfast, it was mediocre at best. There was only orange juice due to the water shortage which of course ran out immediately. The hotel definitely should have prepared for this and at least offered to provide bottled water or previously boiled water for guests to drink. They did not offer bottled water of course and did not refill the orange juice. I will not stay here again and will honestly probably not stay at another best western again due to this experience. Most of this could have been avoided with simply letting me know upon check in that there was a water problem and offering bottled water.

This is a great Best Western. Easy to find as it is located right off the interstate. Plenty of parking. Used my reward points for this stay. Check in with Ms. Renee was quick and easy. Rooms are very clean. Beds are comfortable. Great Mexican place within walking distance but there are lots of restaurants near by. We Ubered to and from the Longhorns game - spent only $10 round trip. I would of gave this five stars if we had a different room location. We stayed on the first floor (218). It was located right next to an exit, the elevator and an ice machine. The elevator wasn't working the night we checked in but we certainly heard it in the morning. Woken up very early by all the noise. Overall, great stay!

Needed a last minute hotel this was perfect. Clean cute and a great deal. Judy worked the night we were there and she was simply amazing very personable and attentive. Convenient location and nice amenities.

Located near some construction, so there were lots of construction people staying at the motel. Breakfast was good as long as you got there before the workers ate it all.

Just spent 2 nights here and was worried it might not deliver but came through with flying colors. Everyone is right about the desk personnel. Super nice and helpful! Last night we were there to attend #ACLFEST and I forgot to pack tennis shoes, and had to wear sandals, but with all the walking, I came back to the hotel about midnight with a huge blister on the bottom of my foot and she gave us all the first aid supplies she could think of for me to doctor it up! Really really sweet! The rooms and bathrooms are on the small side, but very clean! Beds and pillows super comfortable. What do we do but sleep anyway-right. Pet friendly too. I saw a dog but I never heard one! I wanted to bring ours but, I knew he'd be barking while we were gone. Also the free breakfast was really good!

Staff attentive and courteous. Beds/linens perfect for the class of hotel this is supposed to be. Hotel bar and staff was fabulous. Location very convenient. Close to city center and other modes of transportation. Location not very convenient to check in though since there is almost no room out front of the hotel during busy traffic times

front desk courteous, prompt, and super efficient! elevator not working, out for three days, and no repair person in sight. at most best westerns, there is usually a fruit bowl, and water. neither in sight here. newspaper never changed. sink extremely low.

I stayed for 2 weeks and was treated great the entire time. The staff went out of their way to make not only myself but every at the hotel feel comfortable and welcomed. The Sun-Thur free happy drinks were also a great additional bonus. Thanks for the great stay. I will be back.

Good location. Close to freeway access and University of Texas and downtown. Breakfast was good. Had hot and cold items. Very nice decor in lobby. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom looked brand new and new carpeting.

Internet service was extremely limited. Amazon Fire Stick very difficult to connect due to access speed limitation. This was the worst internet service I have every experienced in all my years of staying at Best Western Hotel. Definitely not up to normal expected quality.

Hotel was great, breakfast was wonderful, afternoon lounge was super popular drinks and the snacks were wonderful you have to try Don's famous popcorn. Checking was so easy, first day we were invited to the afternoon lounge and it was great.

Colleen and Renee were very helpful during our stay. Colleen was extremely friendly at checkin and throughout the night. If we needed anything she delivered it with a smile. At check out our vehicle wouldn't start and Renee was extremely helpful in assisting us through the process.

This hotel looks nice, and decor is updated and upscale. Closer inspection shows a very dirty pool, exposed wiring in some of the common areas, no exhaust fans in bathrooms, and no hair dryers. This may be a new conversion to the BW+ brand. Located at 35 & 290, it is a bit tricky to get to. I am hoping it is a work in progress. They do offer a happy hour for guests, and a full breakfast buffet.

Great atmosphere. Great staff. The few inperfections paled in comparison to the unbelievable kindness and care shown by Judy who worked at the front desk. You do not see customer service of that caliber anymore...I have been around awhile and in the professional field for 40+ years. You can see and feel her genuiness and it makes a huge impression. I would've loved for her to be the face of my company but she turned me down. She said she loved her job. They don't make them like that these days. Best Western Austin Central is my new favorite.

I had an amazing stay recently and look forward to staying again. Room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was super helpful and courteous. Judy was amazingly helpful and friendly. Recommended this location to few family and friends. Keep up the good work.

I have stayed at this location several times this year and have always had a good experience. Friendly staff and management. Front desk is always helpful thank you Rene,Coleen and Judy. They also offer a guest happy hour which is complimentary.

My husband and I stayed there to visit his brother at UT Austin, and it was a very nice and clean hotel. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was too! Also, the breakfast was better than the typical continental. The best part though was this fantastic staff member, Judy, who was so welcoming and personable. She made the stay much more enjoyable and memorable! Thanks to her, we will be coming back again! Highly recommend staying here! And it doesn't break the bank!

This hotel is not a luxury stay.... but it is clean and has all you need if you are in the area. The hot breakfast is average, not bad but not great. The workers work hard to keep it supplied and clean. Happy hour is great, lots more options than I expected. The front desk staff is hit or miss.... they did not use the card my brother gave but instead still charged the card I used to hold the room. Detail is a lot to handle so pay attention and stay on top of it. The rooms are not large. But they are comfortable. The beds are comfortable.

The rooms were about average, the restroom was not clean at all (long black hairs in the towels) hair in the tub also. The Vernon girls win first game, had to stay 2 more nights for Sat. games. Went back check in for 2 more nights. Second night different room was ok, before we left the room I placed a small mark on the bed sheets. So, we left to site seeing Austin. When we got back no towels in the room, then I check sheets they had NOT been change. NASTY!!!!!!! Breakfast was hot, food was average.

The staff was most friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on places to eat. The breakfast was above average and no crowding or shortages. An evening happy hour with free drinks was an unexpected bonus. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The only issue was a TV that did not work well.

We stayed here for three days when we visited Austin and were very satisfied. The room was clean and the front desk people were so helpful! They really made our stay a lot better with their recommendations for local places to eat and things to see. One person who really deserves a lot of credit is the lady who made the breakfast!! The food was so good and not the run of the mill stuff you normally get!! The only complaint I have is the key system was horrible!! Something so simple should be flawless and this one wasn't.

Really enjoyed staying at the Best Western Central Austin. So clean and friendly staff. Tracy on the front desk was so helpful and polite. Complementary drinks and food of an afternoon was perfect. Would highly recommend to everyone.

This place was an absolute disaster from the start... Keys didn't work 4 times upon check in. Had to be let in like children. Immediately we killed s cockroach in the room.. On day 2, the buffet area and dining room absolutely stunk like throw up Then after we check out. They charged a $250 "cleaning fee" for smoking inside the room?? Impossible considering we're on camera smoking outside. First impression was nice...but there's more than meets the eye. I'm truly dumbfounded and frankly upset with best Western in Austin central.

The hotel had a strange odor and the beds were not comfortable. The staff on the other hand were very friendly and helpful. I understand that certain parts of the hotel were under construction, but I feel that they could still improve on cleanliness.

The staff was friendly! The Hotel was clean. They offer free breakfast every morning with eggs, sausage, ham, biscuits, gravy pastries, waffles, and cereal. They have free cocktails and hors deuvres 5pm-7pm Monday through Thursday! Convenient to the Interstate.

In searching for a hotel for my wife and I to stay at while visiting Austin, I came upon this hotel. The interior of the room is clean and modern, the bed and pillows are great and the coffee in the room is the best that I have tasted at this class of motel. As an added plus the staff is very friendly and wanting to please. The only negative that I experienced was the size of the room is about 3/4 the size of an average hotel room. Now given this fact I will return next time we are visiting relatives,

Just a couple of exits north of UT. Consistently good breakfast and very festive happy hour. Lots of regular guests on hand. Room was all I needed. Bed was comfortable. Mattress was firm and pillows seemed new.

The staff was GREAT and very accommodating. The room was nice but I woke up at 4am the second night with bites all over my body. The room had bed bugs and they put us in another room and refunded the second night. Which is cool I guess. I researched all the ways to keep from getting them in your home and did that but I'm still really worried about that.

Rooms were comfortable and ameneties were in good working order. Internet worked without a hitch. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledeable about the area Everything I needed at a reasonable price. Convenient location.

I have stayed at this Best Western about 15 nights in the last 3 months. Front desk staff is always friendly, room is clean and up to date, good breakfast selections and free happy hour from 5:30 - 7:00. Couldn't ask for anything more in a comfortable overnight stay.

Nice hotel location very close to HWY. Employees are very nice. Breakfast offered was cereal, waffles and pancakes. Lots of seating area and all staff was very helpful. Pool is outside. Parking is a bit crazy at night.

The staff is incredibly helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The cocktail hour is a great way to unwind after a busy day, too!

We stayed here this past weekend. Room was clean, so I won't give it just one star. But the second night, the A/C broke and it was 86 degrees in the room. Turns out, there's no maintenance person on staff (I had also overheard this when I checked in because another person had maintenance issues and the front desk clerk said there was no maintenance). So the front desk clerk couldn't fix it. He went downstairs to call maintenance but never came back. I went downstairs and he said he called the room. Well, the phone was broken. He didn't have the forethought to go back upstairs after not getting in touch by phone. He then said he can't fix it but he could offer $20 off the 2 nights we stayed. Now, friends, this is BS. If a hotel cannot fix such a large issue, and it cannot move you rooms, there should be no charge. I made it clear I wasn't paying and he did waive the charge, but I feel that he should have offered. I don't mean this to be entitled, I am saying this because this is a policy amongst many hotels and I'm not impressed that after being up for an hour in the middle of the night and having to chase him down, he lo-balled what he should have offered. And I don't want to hear a manager respond to this and tell me this isn't true-I've worked in a hotel chain. Location of this place is next to a sketchy other hotel and the breakfast has waffles, cereal, powdered eggs, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. The typical free breakfast. It was crowded though bc it's poorly placed in a nook. Would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

I had an original room in a sketchy hotel and had to drive around at 1am looking for a real place to stay. The young man I talked to was very helpful and kind at 130am, I don't have his name but he worked on Friday night to Saturday morning he had black hair and glasses. Also the room was very nice and pleasant, we slept soundly. The breakfast wonderful. Judy was there Sunday and she was very kind and helpful!! She was so quick to help and with a pleasant smile!!! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!! The stay at this Best Western erased all the bad we had encountered Friday at the other place!!!!!

I happened upon this hotel because it was inexpensive and has a great location off 2 major freeways, but it wasn't noisy from the traffic: yay! The room was updated, very clean and modern, the breakfast was actually really good, and impeccable customer service at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again!

Best stay this trip. The hotel, friendly and helpful staff, restaurants and sites visited, all great. We enjoyed all the amazing architectural talent and beauty of the buildings downtown. Freeways great even with all the construction.

We stayed 2 nights to tour Austin. Being close to the highway made it easy access to get around. We had 3 adults and a medium sized dog in a 2 queen bed room. It was very tight. Room itself was OK, just too small. Beds were fairly comfortable. It was very handy to have a fridge, coffee maker and a microwave. We made good use of all 3. The included continental breakfast was also very good. Lots of different foods and very well stocked. The outside pool and patio looked great and very inviting, but it was too cold for us to enjoy them. Price was good which is always nice. Our room had a closet too small to hold the hangers which was a waste of space because you really couldn't use it. It's just too small. The sink drain was funky and needs updating to a regular flat drain. All in all it was OK and we would stay here again, but maybe see if they have some larger rooms.

I have not stayed at a Best Western in years. I read the reviews and felt this was the best place to stay in Austin. The only issue was NOT hotel but the construction. The hotel was 5 stars all the way... staff was great, room was so clean.. loved lobby area with fun electric fireplace...

We chose this hotel for it's location and price. It was a great place to stay. The location is great. It is close to just about anything in Austin. It took us 10 minutes in traffic to get to downtown. It appeared to be new. The exterior and interior were both very nice! The room was clean, the beds were comfy and the wifi was excellent. Breakfast was very good, the eggs in particular were real eggs- not the type lots of hotels serve. There was a nifty yogurt machine and some yummy add ons to make your own flavors. There is a big outdoor pool for warm weather.

Service was very good but bathroom is too small and vanity too low and too small. Location was good for nearby restaurants and gas stations. Breakfast had a large selection of items and was above average.

This was an overnight trip for my family to attend a friends wedding. Was looking for a special rate to use rewards points & this hotel was participating. Room was smaller than expected, but everything was functional, pet friendly, quiet & great location.

I should have demanded an immediate refund, but I am not that kind of person. The AC did not work. 90 degrees in the room that night. It cooled off to 82. I had an elderly mother with me and she was miserable. The two little dogs were panting. There was nothing good about this stay. They tried to squeeze two beds in a room that was meant for one bed.

Polite and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Loved the ease of advance check in. Comfortable room with everything we needed. Lobby is a nice place to relax. We will stay there again if the need for a return trip arises.

Just want to give Judy some credit where credit is due. She was very friendly and helpful on both of my visits to this hotel. The 2nd visit was to find a lost piece of luggage. Judy went above and beyond to find my lost briefcase on Christmas Day! Thank you Judy!!

It's very laid back and comfortable. Granted I may have had an issue or so, Judy Golden made sure I was taken care of and definitely made sure my stay was welcomed. I appreciate the friendliness of Coleen as well. Keep up the bomb service ladies, but lets just make sure y'all get olives for those complimentary Bloody Mary's.

This hotel is a very nice place to stay in while visiting family in Austin, Texas. We attended a graduation and at the same time organized a family reunion. My husband and I were also able to visit with our son who lives there.

We were in town for my son's graduation and wanted to be close the university. The location was perfect! The amenities and value were great! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Enjoy being able to have a cup of coffee/tea anytime in the lobby.

Enjoyed the hotel and updated room layout. Internet was great and Fitness Center was very nice. Breakfast was also very good. Administration staff was efficient and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We come to Austin periodically and decided this time to star at this Best Western Plus Austin Central and it a great hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Staff was so very friendly and extremely helpful! We were looking for a good steakhouse and they recommended Austin Land and Cattle which was a great place to eat and made our visit to Austin so very enjoyable. It is so refreshing to meet a staff of people that has the helpful and friendly attitude of everyone in the facility! We will stay here on our future Austin visits if a room is available!

We stayed there for an overnight stay on the first weekend of November and explored the museums and 6th Street. The hotel was newly renovated and we were given a quiet corner room on the 4th floor . The room was clean and everything was in good working order. Breakfast was delectable and filling. My only negative comment was that while we waited for our rooms to be available, we used the toilet near the reception area and it was not very clean and it had a stinky odor. Perhaps the public area toilets should be closely monitored because guests will still use them specially during breakfast. All in all it was a great stay .

We have stayed at the hotel before. The staff is warm and welcoming. The location provides easy access to UT and downtown Austin. The room is cozy with great beds. We also enjoy the variety offered at breakfast.

We were able to check in early after a brief wait. Having the luxury of being able to rest for a bit was a nice start to our tailgating at the Texas game. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant.

The breakfast was one of if not the best ive seen in some time , that came with the room that is. 2 thumbs up. Would definetly return here any time im in this area. Just dont ask late night were the closest store in walking distance is.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the extremely clean rooms, nice decor and friendly staff. Location is great for the Longhorn game. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We received an email prior to arrival allowing us to check in and provide the estimated time of arrival.

Great rooms! Comfortable beds and everything in the rooms works well. I don't like the check-in area now that it's also a bar area too. Sometimes it gets busy for the desk staff and I may opt to stay another place for business/family. If you're into a bit of a party atmosphere this may be the place for you sometimes.

We stayed in Room 230 during our Texas “road-trip” in October 2017. (And watch the USA GP.) The room was a reasonable size. However, there was no safe in the room – surely this should be standard? Breakfast was standard – but the breakfast area can get crowded. The hotel provided guest laundry facilities, which were particularly useful on our long trip. There are a few restaurants (Ihop, Taco Village & Captain Benny's) within walking distance, but had to use the car for anything else. All the staff were helpful especially John & Don who were very helpful. It was (by $/night) the least economical hotel on our trip – probably bumped up by the GP. The Hotel is a few miles out town, and driving into town was a nightmare. Parking is also a big problem. We found the best place was the Capitol Visitor Centre car park (first 2 hours are free). We parked for 5 ½ hours for $7. If you want to visit the SRV statue it is tucked away on the south side of the river. Car parking is available in small lots just off the street opposite the statue. We did make a trip out to the Oasis restaurant on Lake Travis. We thought it was a bit tacky, a lot like a tired English seaside resort

Well when I checked in to the hotel it seemed nice, but when I got ready to go to bed we could tell the sheets havnt been washed. There was pube hair on the sheets and the pillows looked like people have slept on them. I called the front desk to get fresh sheets and the lady had the nerve to ask me If we just have been staying there for several nights and she was the one that checked me in an hour before. Another problem with this hotel is We RAN out of HOT water. That should never happen. I only took a. 15 min shower and the water was cold. I will never stay at this hotel again. I'll spend the extra money to get a nicer hotel to enjoy myself, like I was supposed to.

We had about 20 rooms booked for the weekend. The rooms were good value and the rooms were very nice. The hotel staff was excellent, especially at the front desk. We used the pool lounge area as a meeting place for cocktails, etc. and it was perfect! Only slight negatives were a small area for serving breakfast and a slow checkout process, otherwise awesome!

Not a five star hotel, but, should be at least a four star hotel. The staff were awesome and you can see they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Not too far from downtown. Recommend leaving car at hotel and take Lyft or Uber. Not worth the effort and money to drive and park downtown. The front desk had Lyft discount/promotion cards.

Their free "full" breakfast is nothing more than a smaller version of a continental breakfast at other hotels, but it's in a small room thats difficult to maneuver without bumping into others. The hotel has an old funk smell to it. The "bar" is nothing more than a few bottles hung on the wall behind the front desk. Its not a nice place and I didnt have any hot water to take a shower...needless to say, 1 night was more than it should have been.

Everything was clean. The décor was up-to-date but the gray colors made the rooms seems dark. It would be great if there were brighter lights. Bathrooms has no locks. Continental breakfast was excellent. There is an IHOP walking distance and you can save your breakfast money because the Best Western breakfast was fresh, hot and good they had waffle and pancake irons. Outdoor pool, gym, laundry room Shower has sprayer that can be lowered, raised and move in any direction, nice. We had the Deluxe King room, my son had the Double Queen beds and I liked his room better than the Deluxe. Deluxe just had extra empty space. Windows pulls open about 6 inches and no screen. Very nice and decent stay but not a luxury hotel.

This location was perfect for all the events we had on our agenda for the weekend with the grandkids - as just minutes from wedding venue and also downtown tours and attractions. The breakfast served was perfect for getting the day started each morning. Despite it being November-the weather this weekend still made pool inviting enough for our youngest and it was nice and quiet relaxation time for me out on their lovely patio by the pool. Being right next to I 35 one would expect noise from traffic - but not a peep. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Parking well lit and security walking the premises made it very secure.

I probably would have had a nicer stay at this BW if I had been able to get into my room without help. Every-single-time. Our door lock barely worked from the outside, being almost totally unable to recognize the programmed key cards for the room. Staff informed us this is common at this hotel. So every night we had to get new key cards in an effort to "trick" the lock - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The bathrooms aren't separate from the rooms (at least ours wasn't) they just have a sliding plank door - so it's not ideal if you like things like privacy while you're in there. Comfortable bed and relatively quiet, not my worst stay, just so far from my best I wouldn't recommend it.

This hotel was gorgeous!! Very clean, nice decor and the staff was very nice. The rooms were clean and the beds are soooo comfortable!! The bathroom was big and had a great shower! Fridge and microwave were great to have in the room!

Very nice lodging for a female traveling alone. I felt safe. Noise from either mini fridge or tv, not sure, constant. 2 groups of extremely loud and obnoxious people, 1 at about 2:30am, again at appx 3:30am, both Saturday and Sunday nights (or, Sun and Mon morn). I heard partying from adjacent room also but not sure if next door or above my room. Other than the behavior of other guests and no fault of the hotel, my stay was very very nice. I do not sleep well away from home, so the noise factor cost a lot of the sleep I may have had.

This hotel was very nice and clean. The sink area was small, especially if you have very many people that need to spread out their make up or personal hygiene items like toothbrushes, hair accessories, etc. The decor was modern and we enjoyed our stay there.

I choose this hotel for my trips to Austin. The staff always takes good care of me. The rooms are new and the internet is great. The hotel has a fantastic breakfast and during the week a great managers reception. The staff is super frienfly. The Location of the hotel is terrific.

We booked this room months in advance and chose this hotel because it was supposedly recently renovated. The price ( @$270 a night after taxes) was a little higher than I would normally pay but we decided to give this chain a try again. The room ended up not being what I would consider a suite because of how small it was but it was clean and the linens smelled fresh. For having been renovated recently I was disappointed to see that it had several blemishes in the drywall and the bathtub and sink were both missing drain plugs so we couldn't take a bath. There isn't any artwork in the room to make it feel more cozy and inviting but the furniture is updated and in good condition. The one thing other than the housekeeping staff that impressed me was the parking lot security that was present to prevent any worries that I might have had about my vehicle being broken into.

I enjoyed my stay just didn't enjoy the loud people in my floor. And I know that's nothing to do with the hotel so I will rate the hotel and staff a ten. Breakfast was amazing no complains I didn't have to wait in line served my self what I wanted because there was enough for everyone. It was clean enough for me and I am a germ freak but I was happy with the cleanliness. Super friendly staff which I love. Until next time!

I like Best Western hotels. I have stayed in one in Madrid and another in Los Angeles. It was always a pleasant experience. The hotels in Madrid and Los Angeles were located in areas where it was possible to walk to many places. The hotel in Madrid did not have a restaurant, it had a cafeteria that closed at 7:00 am. In Madrid they would bring hot beverages to your room if you asked. The Austin hotel did not have a in house restaurant, and the out-souced room service was very expensive. I wish they had more vending machines available.

A good place to stay, easy to find, situated right by the freeway. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Quick and efficient service, central location made it easy to get to the places we planned on visiting. The included breakfast was great as we were leaving first thing in the morning. The desk staff were helpful in making and checking reservations at BW Hotels for the next few nights.

They went out of their way to make my check in easy, I arrived early and it was a busy weekend but they got me in right away and were very friendly. Room was clean and had nice amenities (fridge, microwave, nice TV)

Great Location mins from the Captial, UT Campus, Moody Theater and downtown area. We were in town for a concert initially booked at the La Quinta right behind it and it outdated and run down. We checked in and checked out and moved over to the Best Western plus. Saved me a lot of headache with the wife and daughter. The Best Western Plus staff were very helpful and the room was very clean and modern. Would definitely stay there again.

This was a spur of the moment stop for my husband, 2 friends and I. Evening clerk was very nice. Price was very reasonable compared to others in the area. Room was clean, beds very comfortable. Good complimentary breakfast. Only downside was I got up to go to the bathroom around 11:30pm. Noticed a lot of water on the floor by the toilet. Thought the toilet was leaking, but it was coming from the vent on the ceiling. Hated to wake my husband as he wasn't feeling good, but didn't want to stay in a room where water was leaking. Was able to change rooms right away(across the hall). Was rather disappointed when we checked out ---no apology, no discount except for $1 off a bottle of water. Just a thanks for letting us know!!!! I wasn't expecting a free night. But a" gee, we're really sorry that you had to change rooms in the middle of the night " would have been nice.

This was a nice place with a friendly GM. There is an electric vehicle charger onsite, and although a very slow charge, it was very handy. Central location made it easy to get to Austin attractions throughout the city.

The place has been renovated a bit and looks nice. Room rates were decent BUT oh the noise! You could hear everything and everyone! Every door slam, people walking down the hallway, there is absolutely no sound or acoustical treatment at all in this place. The kicker was that the place allows dogs. I am all in favor of that, however, when an owner can't control their dog and their is no sound treatment, you hear the dog bark all the way down the hall and into your room. You (once again) heard everyone and everything that walked past your room and in the hallway. Not restful at all.

We stayed here for a weekend trip to Austin. The hotel had reasonable prices and was an easy driving distance from downtown (10 mins or so). We had a double queen room that was nicely updated. Everything was clean and well arranged. Plenty of plugs and USB slots to charge everything. Great AC. Beds were a little firm, but comfortable. I love a completely dark room to sleep at night and the curtains definitely do that! No matter the time of day if the curtains were closed it seemed like night time in the room. Big parking lot so even with a full hotel we had no problem finding a spot. The sides and back entrance are all fenced off so it makes it feel more secure. There was a little noise on the side we were on since we had the pool and seating area below us, but nothing that bothered us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Building felt secure. Needed a key card to get into the building if you weren't using the front entrance. Had no problem with the neighborhood. The breakfast had many options and was delicious. We will definitely keep this place in mind when we visit next time.

Good place, great location, clean and comfortable room. Nice decor and quiet place. Front desk agents are nice and competent in their profession. Got an ugly look from one of the office staff as I was checking out in the morning and it left a bad impression. Imagine leaving your house in the morning, ready to tackle a new day and that's the last thing you see before you walk out the door. Starts the day off on a bad note.

The overall quality of the hotel is good. But I found the bathroom in my room to poorly designed and the room maid service to be poorly trained in following hotel's policy on towel reuse for water conservation, poorly trained in proper way to make a bed, and poorly trained in setting the room thermostat at an appropriate temperature.

I was so not impressed with the location nor the exterior of the hotel. The front desk attendant was rude and didn't acknowledged us when we arrived and were standing in front of him waiting for him to finish with another client. The hotel was loud even during late hours of the night. I was not pleased at all.

comfortable and newly updated. location a tad twisty to get to, but the hotel is good to stay at. comfortable, clean, staff are nice. Lobby dynamics make it hard to get thru if there are a lot of people, but that is a minor thing. otherwise hotel is worth it for the price.

This is my first time lodging at Best Western in Austin Central. My family and I enjoyed it very much and we were impressed with the level of customer service attention. It was superb!!! The location was a few minutes away for the University of Texas - Longhorn Engineering Event. It was close to Capital Plaza to shop and had several restaurants close by to choose. The downtown scenery was beautiful as well.

One night stay during Labor Day weekend turned out to be just average. The room had small ants on both night stands but I was able to quickly get changed to another room. Check in staff was ok but the check out staff seemed more attentive. I was surprisingly impressed with the breakfast options. There's plenty of parking and the hotel does feel safe but hard to get to because of where it's located.

Everything from customer service, employees, rooms, breakfast, cleaniness and hospitality was on point. The employees are very caring people. My family spent 9 days there, this was our home away from home. I will be returning!! Love you guys !!! Hurricane Harvey 2017

started off with the great price for the stay for us 4! to the wonderful staff also to include the maintenance people the beds were comfortable and we even needed complimentary toothbrushes that were brought to the room and when the remote didn't work they brought one to us right away no worries! easy handicap access parking and a smile leaving and by the way very accessible to the highway

Arrived at property at 4pm and was able to check in. Was able to park at a convenient entrance and used elevator to room. Was invited to a complimentary happy hour in lobby, with free snacks. Room and property were in good condition, although hall carpet could use cleaning. The property did have some minor road and facility noise that occasionally I heard while sleeping. Using HVAC can function did not offer much help.

Everyone of our hotel keys (4) had to be reissued at least once. Each time we requested a new key, the clerk did not ask for any identification. Safety was our biggest concern. Besides the ease that someone could get our room key duplicated, there were often men loitering at the hotel entrance or in the hotel lobby, drinking and smoking. Our rooms were not cleaned by housekeeping until after 6 pm after our first night. It is disappointing to return to the hotel after a full day to find the room not cleaned and clean towels restocked.

Had to be at the capital for a few days and chose this Best Western due to the proximity to down town, but being a little bit away. Check in was busy, as it's a small check in desk, however the staff handled the crowd professionally and with courtesy. The GM John Kueker is excellent. He went out of his way to make sure my business partner and I had a comfortable stay and helped us utilize the business center. He also personally followed up to make sure our stay was as it was supposed to be. The room was clean and comfortable. Beds were good too. Our company is very small, but we are on the road quite often. When we are in Austin next, we will be staying at this Best Western without a doubt.

I was at best western for 10 days and I had no problem with them until I left and asked about an item I had forgotten at the hotel. I was going to pay for the shipping i just needed them to find it for me. I had to call three different times and each time they said they would check. The fourth time I called, the General Manager John Kueker answered said he would check had me on hold then hung up on me!!!!! It seems like the company does not care about their customers after you leave the hotel as long as you spend your money booking their hotels. Very disappointed will not be doing business here again.

This hotel is located in north Austin about 3 miles for our son's new apartment. Great access to I-35 and 290. Hotel staff is great; lobby area is very comfortable; breakfast was plentiful and tasty; rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. For the price, you couldn't beat this place!

Tips: 1. Don't check-in between 5:30-7:00 pm, that's when the social hours are going on. Free alcohol at the front desk area and only one staff member to do both the bar and reception desk. You might have to wait to get checked-in because somebody needs another round of mojito. 2. If you have a pet you will be designated to a specific room which you will pay $20 for each night, whether you actually have your pet or not. I reserved the room for 2 nights and will have my wife join me the second night with our dog. I thought I could save the $20 for the first night. This is not a criticism of the policy but just want potential customers to know. It was a little noisy where I stayed at, first floor beside the patio area. Overall it was a nice hotel and the price is I think a bargain for the area.

Hotel updated in 2016. You can see upgrades everywhere. However, still has old hotel layout. Pros: CLEAN!, Friendly staff! Cons: Mattress. One of the most uncomfortable I slept in. It was way too firm for me. My 11 year commented on first... Even though mattress wasn't the best I would stay again.

I will stay here again, nice place, clean, staff is cool. breakfast, newspapers, close to many places, easy to get to. there is swimming pool. lounge area, plenty of parking, friendly staff. staff is helpful and friendly, bilingual. other guests were friendly too.

Renovated property at a reasonable price. Traveling on business and the location is central for my needs. Complimentary adult beverages from 5:30-7:00 each night might appeal to some. Continental breakfast also available. I just needed somewhere clean to sleep and prepare for work and was very pleased. Staff were very friendly.

GORGEOUS rooms with excellent customer service! The staff was delightful and helpful. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home. Very roomy, and modern decor. This is one of my favorite Best Westerns I have stayed in.

Never stayed at a BW, but when a usual hotel had no vacancy, driving around lost, pulled into the parking lot of this hotel. check-in was effortless, young lady at front desk was poised & pleasant. Facility well maintained and comfortable. Already planning to stay here next time out.

We were there for four days. There was too much noise on the floor because of few families on our floor. Also there was bar on the lobby. Many men were drinking and many weird man were handing all over the lobby and front desk.

The hotel is clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I was impressed that we came back from a blues club at 2 am, and there were staff members at the front lobby area. I would give this place a 3.5 out of 5. It is nice and newly renovated, but the smell still exists. It is in a crap side of town as there is much construction and work going on. It is directly beside an America's best price (CHEAP) motel.. I won't stay there again, but the staff wee good. I was greeted at the front with two glasses of beer. I was up all night though, as the neighbors from across the parking lot were all outside drinking and partying outside in lawn chairs til 1 am. I couldn't understand what they were saying as most of it was in Spanish.... but again, I won't be back.

This is a very well rounded hotel. The breakfast is very well accommodated and has many options. It has a small bar area where they have completed drinks for guests. The pool is not the average small kiddie pool and has a large covered area to get out of the sun. The gms name is Jim and is very helpful with any issues u might have.

Great location to restaurants and north of the university and downtown yet close enough to travel quickly. Easy access to the highway. This hotel has been recently remodeled and acquired by BW chain. The staff and services great. This is my go to hotel while in Austin.

Friendly staff and comfy room. Yummy breakfast including meat and eggs. The guy bartending during happy hour made a great Bloody Mary! We had to stay an extra day due to car trouble, and the staff went above and beyond to make this as painless as possible.

The place was nice. I've never been to a BWPlus, so I was impressed by the room design. Very close to DWTN so less than a $10 Uber. Also close to major attractions if in the city for a getaway. No major issues internally, at check in, the front desk clerk didn't see my reservation so I had to show her my phone confirmation (always helps to have that!) and I tried calling down to the front desk when my room filled with the smell of cigarettes and the phone didn't dial out. Nevertheless a cool place. Didn't swim or workout bc we were out the entire weekend but would've taken advantage if had time. Breakfast was pretty good as well and the staff we encountered were nice. Would come back if I got a good deal.

Excellent value for the money, and a great breakfast to boot ( The ladies who work that area did a great job of keeping the breakfast items fresh and warm)! In fact I found almost all the employees I encountered there at the hotel to be hard-working, and courteous. The room's decor was pleasing, and the beds were clean and comfortable too.

The location is little dodgy but the clientele are even dodgier. The Manager was gently chiding one man for having a party in his room and there was a drunken party going on until past 10pm by the pool--which was right under our room window. The unsupervised children of that party were running in and out of the gym and I was shocked that access was not restricted by guest card, that there were no signs requiring adult supervision and that kids were at serious risk of getting seriously hurt. It's pity because the rooms and dining areas are very nice. The breakfast is the usual stuff but there's an IHOP just a few steps away.

The food was good they had a nice variety of options. Room was clean, staff was nice. The internet connection wasn't too good but other than that it is not a bad place to stay at. They are pet friendly and have certain areas of the hotel for pet owners.

Rooms and staff was nice but was dirty because found women's underwear under the desk. That was the only thing about the room that I was disappointed in. I highly recommend using this place. Just make sure the room is clean.

I have stayed here in the past for business and was just as happy with the second visit. The beds are comfortable, the staff is EXTREMELY helpful and friendly and the breakfast is great by free breakfast standards.

This was perhaps my first stay at a Best Western location. Very nice, product well done! The room was super nice and well appointed with everything thing I needed and more. I would highly recommend this particular location and I would stay at this location again!

I was pleased overall - although the room was very cozy (a nice way of saying cramped). My only complaint is that when my daughter went outside in the middle of the night, there were others out there as well and she was talking with them. One of the staff members came out to ask them to leave. Maybe it was too late to smoke. Don't know, but if you can't smoke in your room, then the outside seating area would be the only place left.

The rooms was dirty not clean looked like they just made the beds and that all cleaned up a little around the counters. It was my family first time in a hotel and after they saw the room they didn't want to stay again in a hotel. They wanted to leave that same night.

Great staff and manager made it all happen. When you travel, you need to find a place that is willing to above and beyond the call of duty. John the manager along with his staff, made it happen. Its not easy to find companies and their employees who go the extra mile. This staff lead by the manager, certainly is making things happen!

Everyone at this hotel was extremely helpful. They had good breakfast options and also had a evening reception with food and drinks. Rooms were nice and beds comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was nice and clean. The staff was polite and friendly. All enmities worked except the TV. had trouble changing the channel. checkout was easy. Shower was hot and did not run out of hot water. did not hear traffic outside.

Staff was wonderful, breakfast was great especially when you have to get going quickly to an event. Nice atmosphere and complementary coffee and water. Front desk staff extremely nice. Overall was a great experience.

We were a little skeptical of the location and surrounding low budget hotel next door. But when we arrived the staff was very welcoming and personable. The facility was clean and well kept. The breakfast buffet was pretty basic but held us over until we went out to explore Austin!

I went to Austin for the UT graduation. This Best Western was not too far from campus. The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. I did have to ask to get the room made-up on the second day because it had not been done by mid-afternoon. I wish hotels would figure out that they need an area outside of the bathroom, where a woman can put on her makeup and style her hair, while the bathroom is being used by someone else. There was a large mirror in the room, but the lighting made it impossible to see well enough to apply makeup. Also, I feel like the rates were jacked-up because it was a busy weekend in Austin. Overall, it is a nice hotel.

Hotel was comfortable and clean. It has been newly refurbished and the furnishings are very nice, modern, clean and pretty. Very nice lobby with large sitting lounge area. Breakfast bar has a large variety of breakfast foods included. Good firm mattress, no noise from the highway. Air conditioning was efficient and quiet.The room and bathroom were small but adequate. Hotel was reasonably priced. Very close to the university. A pleasant stay.

my family got sick off the free breakfast only one lady was running the whole breakfast bar our belief it would of better be ran by min of two operators. most of our stays at BW plus are way above average but this time with many of my family getting sick from the breakfast i cant give our experience here a good review and we had to come home early if that wasn't the worst part.

Very comfortable, clean, and convenient room. Close to downtown. Staff is very nice, very easy going.. complimentary breakfast is pretty good and many options to choose from.. i came here for a family graduation stayed two nights and enjoyed my nights where I didn't want to leave back to Houston. I highly recommend this hotel. If anything I would say, beds could be a little softer but that's it... book here

It was a nice stay in Austin. Had fun! Check the weather, it's so unpredictable. But overall it was very nice. Hotel was very central. Staff could have been better. The bed could have been more comfortable. But overall, it was nice.

The hotel was clean and newly updated. Close proximity to downtown Austin and Univ. of Texas via a car. Restaurants are nearby too. However, a car is necessary as the local vicinity is not designed for pedestrian activity.

Check in was quick and friendly. Room was a decent size. Isn't hard to find, right off the freeway. Very close to 6th street. Beds were hard at first but once you lay down those bed are SOFT! The pillows AMAZING! I wanted to keep one so bad, lol. Overall the stay was great. I was on a diet at the time so I did not have their breakfast but my family said the breakfast was good. The A/C does not make noise and it does get cold.

The best place to stay in Austin. Great atmosphere and world class employees. 5 minutes away from UT, and 10 minutes in traffic. Our company continues to use Best Western Plus Austin Central as our go to destination when we come to town.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was a pretty good value. Clean, friendly, good WiFi included with room. The location is pretty good, although it is supposedly by the airport I never heard any plane noise. Easy access to I35 both north and south. There's an IHOP in easy walking distance, and the included breakfast had a good selection.

Extremely nice, friendly and efficient front desk people. Quick and easy check in and out. Nice, spacious and clean rooms. They have free breakfast, parking and gym. The bathroom door did not latch shut, but as long as the other people in the room know you are in the bathroom, that isn't an issue.

The rooms weren't horrible, pretty standard considering others I have been to. I would come back again. Do need to dust rooms more better. I have allergies to dust. Breakfast was available on time. No problem with internet. That's a plus.

It's hard to believe that the BW I stayed in over the weekend is the same hotel getting all these star reviews! Thank God we only had to sleep here and were gone the rest of the time on both days. The maid service was something else. She actually left the room looking worse than when we left it on Saturday! The beds looked like they had been made by a child. Pillows were still all over the floor, soap wrappers left on the bathroom sink. In all my years of traveling worldwide, I've never seen anything like this. We asked the manager to come take a look at the room (I have video as well), and he apologized. The only thing he offered was to let us come by the front desk and take things from the sundries shop! Maybe his manager doesn't give him any more leeway than that, but it was kind of a strange offer. We would never stay here again. At $118 a night (group rate), it was a total ripoff. We stayed at a much nicer hotel a month ago, got the room on Priceline, and it was about $40 less.

I stayed in this hotel only for two nights. During the second day there was a man trying to open the rooms, the man was acting in a very suspicious attitude, the hotel feel very unsafe. when I asked when I returned at night nobody know about it. When we arrived to our room, the room was not clean, the person in charge of the front desk argued we left ¨don´t disturb¨tag at the door when that was not true. During the morning the person that was cleaning the rooms saw us leaving the room and we told her we were ready to leave . I went to the front desk to do a claim and the person in charge only offered a bag of chips. I paid two nights for a very bad service. Rooms are also very noisy. I has been a very good customer for Best Western through Expedia but this time the stay and service was very disappointing.

The Front desk staff at this hotel is great! Had a confirmed 3-night stay but arrived to find the online booking company had only processed for one night (apparently we chose a high demand week). Front Office Manager Amy helped us locate another hotel for the rest of our stay, all lobby staff were gracious and friendly, helping with suggestions and transportation to downtown. Room was great, self-serve breakfast good, inviting lounge area and small bar.

You can tell the hotel was updated and they did a great job. The rooms are smaller because it is an older hotel, but the renovation turned out great. Beds and hotel decor was good and comfortable. The bathroom was small and there was a little wear on the tub and shower, but didn't deter from the overall experience. The breakfast was good, seemed to have real eggs on the buffet! All 4 of us thought the stay was great and got the room for $89 on a Friday night. It's at the corner of 290 and 35, but felt safe and would be comfortable with my family, with 2 little ones, staying here.

Used more than three times in the past two months for work travel. Always a great experience, large, quiet, clean rooms. Front desk is amicable and friendly, and check in is a breeze. Only down turn is vending machine (water bottles) are in the first floor and not on every floor. Business center is equipped with computers, scanners and printers which came in super handy last month during a last meeting report update. Rooms are accessible and non-smoking. Your stay includes breakfast that includes full satisfying and tasty morning meal.

I have stayed at this hotel previously for work. It's clean, convenient and friendly. It's newly remodeled as of this year and it shows! I hate bugs and no bugs in sight! Hot shower, cold room ( because I made it cold and I like it that way!) made it the perfect stay for me both times. They have complimentary HH til 7pm for guests everyday and I really enjoyed that. Check in was friendly, accommodating, and easy! I will stay here again the next time I come to Austin. Also, I forgot to mention, FREE HOT BREAKFAST! And it was good too! To some of the other reviews about the hotel parties, no matter what hotel you stay at, you could experience the same thing there too. I've stayed at the Four Seasons downtown and had a ton of noise from a Gala and wedding that was taking place there...and it cost me WAY MORE! So, I'd recommend staying here. Great for the cost, close to the major highways, 10 mins from UT campus, and Seton Heart Hospital.

For what I got I paid way too much I there's a motel 6 two blocks down that is half the price and has the same gratitude you will get here the lobby is nice and they have a good breakfast but the cost is way to high and the front desk is not so friendly

The hotel was clean and the beds were comfy the pillows were the best part of it all. My kids did use the pool even though we did go early this March it was warm enough they were able to use the pool for an hour. That part was good. Check in was quick and easy and we were able to check in about 30 mins early with no problem and no wait. The front desk was nice. We did not get much sleep both nights we were there. There was parties both night we were there. On the last night we were there cops had to come and stop one party. At one point on the second night my husband got up and check the door people were banging so loud on the door across the hall it sounded like someone was hitting our door. I did not like that when we would leave our room to go out and used the side entrance by the pool there was people hanging our waiting to get into the door since you had to use your key card if you were a guest there you would have of course. I got to the point we started to go out the front, I did not let anyone in when I would go out the side entrance. I had my family with me and I would not recommend going with your family. If you wan to party than this is the hotel for you.

Very nice clean hotel, very much value for money. The breakfest was one of the best I have had at a BW, lots of choices. Location is double edged sword, easy to get to off the freeway but a bit out of the down core but nothing too bad with a vehicle. Overall, great little hotel.
